Best Western Thunder Bay Crossroads

Breakfast was poor, always seems to be undercooked or overcooked. seems to improve after a negative review, I was put in a room right beside a housekeeping storage room and was woken up very early with all the banging around in the storage room

I was actually booked at a different hotel, it was awful so I called over and a very nice gentlemen told me he had a room for me, I headed over and it was 100% better. Service was great, room was very clean and the breakfast was fantastic. They have all the normal breakfast items like cereal, toast, muffins etc but they offered hot items such as waffles, bacon and quiche too which was a nice touch. Don't recommend the 1st hotel I booked at though although I won't name it here I left a review of that one that was very different. Highly recommend staying here as it seems very new and modern.

Work or travel, this is the place you want to be. Close to airport and restaurants. Complimentary breakfast, free parking. Quiet location and easy to relax if your looking for a place to just rest your head. Don't forget to sign up for best western reward points. It's worth it.

Great, easy to reach location on the highway. Very well maintained and clean motel. Complimentary breakfast choices provided to meet different food needs in a very clean breakfast room environment. Staff are very pleasant and knowledgeable about the area. Definitely would recommend this motel!

We have been coming to this location for many years while visiting family in Thunder Bay and this place has never disappointed us. Very clean, friendly and accommodaing staff both front desk and housekeeping. Location is excellent, close to everything including the expressway.

They do not cut corners. Staffed professionally and well maintained. Handy to the airport and main roads. Within 2 blocks in either direction, you can easily walk to many local amenities. (grocery stores, gas station, car rental, liquor store, take out and sit down restaurants, Walmart)

Best Western Crossroads is my preferred pick when staying in Thunder Bay. It is easy to get to, close to amenities, quick to navigate from ago anywhere in the city and the Airport. Staff are always friendly and welcoming! Always have a great nights sleep here!

Very happy we chose to stay here. Location was perfect for our planned activities. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Having complimentary breakfast, including hot items such as waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, etc, along with many other choices was great! The Best Western Crossroads is also very close to several restaurants allowing us to visit several different ones without having to go very far. Overall, very satisfied and would definitely stay there again.

Good location, comfortable beds, clean room and friendly staff during check out. Convenient to have own parking spot and front door to enter room. Would stay again. Great value and able to use BW points.

Location is great as its just minutes away from the airport. Staff is very friendly and helpful at all times. Breakfast was hot and fresh at all times. Lots of magazines available for free at front desk.

Extremely clean and well cared for hotel, courteous and friendly staff, great breakfast room, very ‘homey', good breakfast options, green practices with bamboo utensils is a nice touch, we used the fitness room and it has great new machines, very practical when you're on a long road trip!

My husband and I are seniors and often have to travel to Thunder Bay for medical appointments. We feel quite at home at the Crossroads and appreciate that we are usually able to stay in one of the two rooms that we prefer. The staff is outstanding and always helpful with a smile on their faces. We are greeted like friends when we arrive and, "See you next time" when we leave. We stayed before and following minor surgery and feel very safe in the hotel.

The staff was excellent and so was he service. They advised us of local places to eat and see. Our room was fantastic. Lots of pillows and towels. The beds were extremely comfortable as well. Definitely would stay again.

They have dog bags readily available outside for convenience. The grounds were quite clean. Only complaint was we were put on the second floor instead of main with a outside entrance. We were told we didn't need to disclose we had a pet with us until we arrived. When we arrived all the rooms with their own outside entrance were booked. If they took this information from their guests ahead of time, they could book a room near the end that has its own outside access to a better customer service experience.

We were greeted with a smile, and the front desk clerk acknowledged that we are rewards members. The hotel is very well maintained. We were pleasantly surprised that our rooms were made up on each day of our three day stay. We will definitely stay here again if we ever visit Thunder Bay again.

One night stay on a Monday night. Room was nice enough, breakfast in the third floor breakfast room was good - seems to mostly the usual pre-made food but the "quiche" and some nice sourdough bread felt a little bit nicer than at some other hotels. Location seems just okay to me - the things we wanted to do were a bit more "downtown" but I suppose that depends on what you are doing while you are in town. Close to the airport, several restaurant options and two Metro grocery stores. Seemed like one of the better Thunder Bay options we had available given the corporate rate I got.

We were supposed to stay at a location in a different city. Due to a flight delay we weren't able to make it to our original destination. Crossroads were able to accommodate us on short notice. It was very much appreciated.

Less than 5 minutes from the airport. Several restaurants within walking distance. Staff are quite friendly. Breakfast was edible but not anything to rave about, do have some options and better than other hotels.

This was the second time I stayed at this great hotel. I stayed in the king suite which was a lovely well laid out room with a separate bedroom. The bathroom had a lovely bathtub ( I suffer from knee problems) and came with nice big towels not often seen in hotels nowadays. The microwave and fridge were welcome additions, as were the two TVs -- one in the bedroom as well.

Friendly & knowledgeable staff. Met with a good reception. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with many choices. Great view of the surrounding area from the breakfast room. Great stay.

BW Crossroads is a good quiet place to get comfortable sleep with continental breakfast you won't regret. I stayed there once a month every month and I have no regrets, shopping and dining is within walking distances as well.

Stayed in first floor room with a door giving us access to the outside. That's the best part. Great king size bed. I just found there is not enough counter space around the sink. Breakfast area is on 3rd floor. Had gluten free choices like bread for toast, gluten free Cheerios (and even almond milk) and hot items like eggs and bacon. Nice to have fruit all cut up in juice that you put in small cup. The price is a little high.

We just wanted to stay for a night in Thunder Bay to complete our Christmas shopping. Since we always travel with pets, we were happy that the room we were assigned was ground floor with parking outside the door. The room was very clean and a good size. We enjoyed our stay and had a great sleep.

I have bean traveling for the past 30 to 40 years and I have stayed in some real lousy places witch I promised never to go back but since I found Best Western Hotel I will never stay at any other hotel period

The start to finish was a delightful experience. The staff really makes you feel special. Very clean rooms/ Thankyou to Mary.. you are the best! The breakfast was satisfying. We had a wonderful stay. The weather was messy but the entrance was very well maintained and non slip.

I have travelled extensively and I cannot recommend The Best Western Crossroads Inn enough! the suites are just as they show in the pictures and the hotel staff/team, including the cleaning and maintenance staff treat you like you are the new friend on the block. Everyone is friendly and accommodating...all you have to do is ask...

Crossroads is a great place to stay when you are travelling. It is conveniently located, is very clean and pet friendly. Staff have always been helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend it for those on the road.

After a horrible experience across the street at the disgusting/dirty Ramada Airlane hotel, we checked into the Best Western Crossroads. Very happy with the bright, spacious rooms - VERY CLEAN. Each and every staff person we met were super friendly, always cleaning. Rooms were bright, beds were very comfortable, very clean. This BW accepts SMALL PETS too! Also included with your stay is a hot breakfast up on the top floor with a great view! I would highlight recommend staying at this location.

After the terrible experience at The Water Tower Inn in Sault St Marie, we decided to lower our expectations for all BW hotels. However, the staff here should perhaps take charge of customer service training for those in SSM. Reception staff were so helpful not only with flexibility in changing our reservation date but also honouring the original room rate. Check-out was smooth and we were sent on our way with cheerful smiles. The rooms are fabulously clean with very comfortable beds. Spacious bathroom too unlike the ridiculously cramped cubicle at The Water Tower Inn. There was good variety for breakfast (they even provide almond milk) and staff members were always ready to top up food making sure everyone was well-fed. Highly recommend this hotel!

One of the cleanest, friendliest places to stay. Staff is very friendly and helpful and the hotel manager ensures customer satisfaction! The continental breakfast and atmosphere is delightful and a great way to start the day!

We were forced out of our room to site in the car not once but twice due to the overwhelming smell of dope that infiltrated our room. Both clerks were totally useless at tracking it down. Breakfast consisted our garlic laced sausage FOR BREAFAST and spinach quiche. Unacceptable especially for bfast.

VERY Clean, friendly, everything worked, they allowed us to check in early, offer discounts, pet rooms...you would not know pets ever stayed there...comfy bed, quiet...really couldn't ask for more!! Made a stressful medical trip, smooth & relaxing!!

Everything was great. The hotel was close to the Airport. My room was cleaned every day. This is not a standard practice anymore. It was a nice surprise. Certainly not expected. Breakfast was good. Would definately recommend.

The rooms are extremely comfortable. We had a king bed and two chairs with a coffee table so we could watch the HD tv without sitting on he bed. Spacious and comfortable. Best breakfast of all the hotels we stay at.

Always try to plan stays at Best Westerns. Staff at the Crossroads are great, rooms comfy and clean, and location is near several great restaurants. Always feel welcomed and staff are so genuine and helpful.

Very nice hotel, location is good, price is fair and the staff is very friendly. There's a gas station next door and several restaurants and a grocery shopping a few blocks away. I would certainly recommend this property to anyone.

Great hotel on a main road , easy access to restaurants, shopping etc.. very clean and comfortable beds. Friendly helpful staff. Only negative was that I wouldn't recommend staying on the first floor. Room attendants start at 7:30am and are wheeling carts down the hallways. Unfortunately also the people next door had a dog that decided to start barking.

Exterior was well kept, well lit and clean. Lobby was okay and check-in quick. Gentlemen on the desk in the evenings was not overly friendly and rarely looked up when you came and went. Room was a suite and was very clean. Bathroom was clean and bed was very comfortable. breakfast selection was good and the breakfast room maintained and clean during breakfast. Cleaning staff were very friendly and did a great job. Rates for our 4 night stay was good. Would stay here again.

WiFi is by far the best I've used in hotels over the past year. Food for breakfast was very good. They had a lot of vegan options. The room was clean and the bathroom looked stunning. The only issue I have there is that the shower curtain smelled strongly like urine. The fitness center was closed when I went at 6am and 630am (the check-in staff saod it would open at 6am, when i went at 6am, there was a sign saying 630am), so that was a disappointment. Honestly though, not that big a deal. Overall, I had a great experience.

Efficient, quick check in. Super clean hotel and room. Welcoming lobby. Easy access to Trans Canada. VERY clean room and bedding. Comfortable bed. Quiet hotel. Lots of towels & toiletries. Apt-size fridge. There is a safe in the room. Helpful front desk staff. Breakfast is the usual ‘hot' breakfast items, but the breakfast room is cheerfully decorated, kept well-supplied and cleanliness above all! Close to lots of dining options & gas stations.

When traveling across Canada, we always stay at this Best Western. They have great staff and lovely rooms. Great variety of breakfast items to choose from. Looking forward to staying again on the return trip.

This a a great Motel to stay at. It has everything you need, comfortable bed, TV, fridge, bath etc. It is always clean & is very affordable. The complimentary breakfast is wonderful too. We'll definitely be staying here again.

Easy check-in and check out . Room was clean and as advertised. Unfortunately we stayed on a Monday night and a lot of the nearby restaurants were closed Monday and opened on Tuesday. Not the Hotels fault.

This hotel is located in a great location in Thunder Bay. Lots of food and retail outlets nearby. Very friendly staff. Very good breakfast and the room is very nice. One exception is that there was yellow urine stain on the underside of the toilet seat. May be staff could pay a bit more attention to both top side and under side of the toilet seat.

I always choose Crossroads location for my stay. The location is ideal for accessing airport. The rooms are clean and quite for a restful night. When booking a stay in Thunderbay this hotel feels very comfortable and welcoming.

Very much enjoy staying here. Always clean, have not had any issues. I always know what I will get or what to expect. No bad surprises here in years. Wish it was closer to shopping, but its nothing to drive to the mall.

Overall it's not a bad hotel. And it has a great tub which I loved! That being said it wasn't a very nice quality best western, but found it to be very expensive (maybe it was just a busy week). Overall it was just average, but I suppose below average compared to just about any best western I've stayed at before.

My wife and I always stay there. Close to restaurants and grocery stores. Very clean rooms, friendly staff. Never had any issues and I'm sure if there was the staff would handle with professionalism. I'll be back there soon.

I am always impressed with the Crossroads, despite the pandemic, which has curtailed our travelling, the hotel is always friendly, helpful and makes you feel welcome. There was still parking available , despite a sudden blizzard the day before our arrival and the main drive and front entry were completely cleared. There were no shields up at the front desk and no need to wear facemasks, which will please many. We chose to continue wearing ours in the common areas but it really wasnt necessary. The rooms and amenities were clean as always and the fitness centre was open. We were also able to enjoy the continental breakfast in the breakfast room, as opposed to previous times at the height of the pandemic, when we would collect a bag lunch and drinks and dine in room. A very nice surprise was that with the easing of restrictions, the cleaning staff are once more able to come in and tidy and clean the room when we were out. We weren't expecting this and it was a real bonus. Check out was again, as easy as always. As much of the tasks we had planned were close to the Crossroads, and how easy it is to access, this hotel is in a great location for us. Check out was very easy

Booked via best western for 120$ per night for 2 nights. Checked in at noon and was provided a room on 3rd floor. Room was ample, king bed, large lcd TV, fridge, coffee maker, good wifi, clean bathroom and work desk area. View was ok, with view of Mt McKay from afar. Gym was smallish but well equipped. Breakfast room was great. Scrambled eggs, bacon, selection of breads, yogurts, fruits, juices, waffle, breakfast burrito, solid. Plenty of parking. Shuttle service is basically the hotel paying for a local taxi to drive to or from the airport. Add a rental car so did not use it. Plenty of parking. Lots of restaurants around, like 5 Asian restaurants and fast food.

Clean, Beautiful Rooms with warm, friendly and helpful staff. Free Parking. My favourite hotel in Thunder Bay by far. I've tried other hotels in the area when I can't get in here and they don't compare for the value Best Western offers.

I spent 11 nights at this hotel. Staff were friendly and accommodating of my changing needs. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. My only complaint was that the bed was extremely uncomfortable. I felt like our mattress was lying on top of a boulder. I felt uneven and felt like I was rolling. My only other issue was that it was great to have a fridge in our room to store our dietary needs, but it froze my vegetables in one spot. The hotel was very quiet and staff were great.

My stay was absolutely relaxing.. the bed and pillows were so comfortable. I could sleep for 12 hours if I could.. It's the best hotel in Thunder Bay ! The service was helpful and supportive. The hotel is close to restaurants and airport.

Hotel was clean , quiet and a great location. I travelled for medical, not sure if they offer a medical rate so paid full price . Easy and fast check in and out . Travelled with a friend and she enjoyed her stay as well. Will definitely stay at this hotel Again the next time I travel to Thunder Bay.

Arrived in Thunder Bay at 1:00am from the airport and we had a taxi waiting with no charge and it was so easy and fast to check in. Was able to grab a coffee before we left. I would definitely recommend this hotel for travellers it's in a great location for food, shopping.

I have been staying at this hotel for years as I collect points. I have really noticed in the past couple of years it has gone so downhill. Uncomfortable beds, rooms aren't that clean and with covid the breakfast isn't even worth going to. Will be looking for a different hotel going forward. Upgraded to suite bc of being platinum means uncomfortable king bed, pull out couch with springs that dig into you with no bedding other then a sheet and light blanket….

I really liked the ability to access the lower level rooms from their own outside door. You can park right outside your door to the room which makes it very easy to bring in your belongings as well keep you vehicle close by. The rooms were in great shape. Carpets very soft and CLEAN. Most comfortable bed I've slept on as well !!

Rooms were clean and the hotel in general was clean. Easy check in and quick service. Nice location on a main street with lots of restaurant/fast food options. Would recommend this location and the pricing was fair.

First time i stay here folks were nice and helpful rooms were clean i thought had to order out for supper no pool or hot tub but pull. Up door was perfect to onload in morning they have a breakfast as well i needed a fork and knife my order out meal did not come with so thank you guys

The hotel was very clean for a pet friendly room, and the beds were so comfy. Me and my family stayed 2 nights and enjoyed it very much, that we will definitely be back. The staff were truly genuine professionals, friendly and quick to answer any questions or concerns that I had.

We stayed here last night, check in was quick, front desk staff very helpful, told us a restaurant with patio in walking distance. Room nice, best part was the Breakfast , well done for a Pandmic ,For the utensils they had a dispenser that each piece out individually, great idea for any tome, wish more places did it. In normal times one may consider it a basic breakfast but these are not normal times. The Hotel just off the highway, bit hard to get into due to a very busy road but overall I would recommend First hotel on this trip that had a Blue Box in room (4th hotel)

Rooms were clean, but because of COVID the rooms were not cleaned every day. Our garbage in the room was not removed and not offered to be removed by the front staff. Also had ?fruit flies in the room,when we arrived ! Breakfast was poorly presented and the selection has completely downsized.

Best Western in ThunderBay is well located and easy to get to the airport from the location. A quiet place made for a good rest. Clean comfortable and a decent breakfast helped to get the day started quickly.

Spent a night here on our way west in early July. We had a room on the 3rd (top) floor. Room was big, king size bed, small fridge and microwave. Very comfortable. The front desk guy at check-in on was friendly, helpful and told us about a local restaurant with a patio, which we went to for dinner. There is also a Pizza Hut about 2 doors down. Hotel is on a relatively busy street but our room was in the back (facing a residential area) so we had no noise. The ground floor rooms each have a door to the outside making it easier to move your things in and out - had I realized this I would have reserved one of these rooms. But where we were was fine. Their breakfast room was on the 3rd floor and they offered a modified take-out breakfast (Covid time!) that was more than adequate - coffee, hard boiled eggs, muffins, bagels, a variety of egg mcmuffin-type sandwiches (microwaveable), fruit, etc. Only 2 people were supposed to be in the room picking up their food at a time but clearly not everyone can read the instructions on the door! I would not hesitate staying here again if in the area.

The room was very clean. It had a fridge and microwave. We could park right outside our room. The front desk was very friendly. There was no noise from other rooms-very quiet. Close to the airport. Close to service stations.

N ice clean hotel and friendly staff. Air conditioner was quite noisy ank kept me awake half the night. Reported in the morning and staff said they would get right on it. Breakfast was all packaged due to covid which was acceptable.

Checked in july 16 with my nephew. We each got a room and the front desk clerk was great. Very helpful. I have stayed here before and we keep coming back. Rooms are clean and hotel is well maintained Close to restaurants and easy to find Would recomend

Spotless rooms, very well appointed and comfortable, extraordinary staff (in particular Tracey & Gayle who swiftly resolved problems with internet service, with creativity and flexibility. Breakfast was still available despite the Covid 19 restrictions and was excellent under the circumstances.

The hotel was clean, reasonably priced and accommodated is with our 20 year old care while we were travelling across Canada during relocation to BC. The staff were friendly and we had no issues or concerns during our stay. We would certainly stay here again.

I stay here every time I come to Thunderbay. Location is very convenient for me. Very friendly staff and hotel rooms are clean. The beds are very clean and comfortable. The fitness room is small but works for a hotel workout. The continental breakfast is tasty and has gluten free options which is appreciated.

Rooms are ALWAYS clean and the front desk is very informative as to where everything is in the hotel. If there is ever anything needed they are very quick to answer your questions and if you need anything extra in your room they get it to you within minutes!

I have stayed there for over 10 years off and one for both business and pleasure and have enjoyed my stay each time. I have come to know the staff as family. With the covid-19 every percussion and protocols are in place and I feel safe

This was our first hotel experience during Covid. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful,. The breakfast area and food offerings were adapted for Covid, and the attendant was pleasant and the area was well maintained. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Really great establishment with friendly and professional staff. The continental breakfast has a great selection. Rooms are really clean and are well maintained. My only issue would be that they do not offer parking for long durations like going to work. Otherwise a really great option.

Travelling through and had lost my credit card called ahead to see if we could pay debit was told we could with a deposit. When arrived was told I needed a credit card and they could not accept debit. Maybe all staff should be aware of the same procedures? I was never asked for ID for the reservation and my partner was never asked for ID when we had to use his credit card. I know this is not company policy so definitely made me question the security practices and procedures of the hotel!! I would have brought it up at check out however when I came to drop off my keys no one was at the desk. An employee came out from the back office and walked by me and said hello but there was no acknowledgement of my checking out or asking how my stay was. Assumed my bill would be emailed to me as no was was there to print it but still have not received anything. Overall very disappointing stay and disappointing for a Best Western to not follow standard company polices.

We traveled for a week staying at mostly Best Western hotels. Our first stay was here and it was the best stay of them all! They had the best breakfast selection, room and patio doors for ease of access!

Close to good shopping and cheap gas. The breakfast offered, while not up to pre covid-19 excellence, is better than most other hotels that I have experienced. Cleaning standards seem to be appropriate.

I was able to arrange a ride to Thunder Bay, which resulted in arriving very early in the morning. The Night reception was able to arrange my room for me immediately, allowing my getting a much needed sleep before meeting with family later in the morning. Despite the pandemic, the rooms are clean, breakfast is still available the staff very helpful and all amenities are still available. The exceptional service I receive here will continue to bring me back.

I like this hotel. The front desk staff member Alex was very helpful in checking us in and brought us up sheets and a playpen. The room was basic but very clean and well appointed. It is also pet friendly. The breakfast room is still open but with reduced capacity; however, they have a wide selection, including individually wrapped fruit and breakfast sandwiches. This is the first hotel I have seen during COVID with such a wide selection. Great work. As I was checking out it turns out I forgot an item, the housekeeper called to the front desk to stop me and ran down the stairs to give it back. The only thing that marred are stay was that we had asked for a playpen to be delivered for our son to sleep in. When I unfolded it, I saw a stain and a dried up bit of food fell out. I returned it to the front desk. The last two points to mention are oddities. Due to the COVID the hotel is reducing the amount of pillows they give to four per room. The flood lights in the back parking lot shine towards the rooms. When you draw the curtains it blocks the majority of the light but a little gets through. I did not find this annoying and only mention it in passing. I would stay here again

I stay here often and it's always clean, quiet and friendly. The rooms are spotless, the beds are super comfortable and the staff is always helpful. I recommend this location for anyone who likes a large tv screen and great bed. Even the water pressure is always good!

Very clean. Very comfortable. Excellent room. Staff was super friendly. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. I traveled with my dog and he certainly enjoyed the large room we were placed it. Highly recommend!

The staff went out of their way to be helpful to my by providing me with a telephone with a hands free option for my 3 hour teleconference. Thank You for all you did from your friendly & prompt service to your clean & comfortable suites.

With no breakfast available due to covid....the price remained the same, too much. The decor is retro 00s and for those who usually require caffeine in the morning you will have to be satisfied with that thing in your room. You know, the one that makes water brown and scalding.. Oh did you want cream with that? Sorry, you'll have to use the hydrogenated oil corn syrup cancer powder with it. Welp, I'm never coming back to this location and I'm pulling my guys out of here also. There's only three things my guys expect when they stay at a hotel, 1) Value - fail 2) Good coffee - fail 3) Cleanliness - satisfactory. So until you put in Keurigs/Tassimos/Nespressos, and don't lower the price, we will take our business elsewhere.

First time in Thunder Bay with plans to visit the nearby provincial parks. The hotel was conveniently located along a strip of various restaurants, gas stations, and other amenities, so it was easy to stock up on whatever might be needed. However, a warning of sorts: The hotel is right across from the airport. Because of the COVID situation, there weren't many comings and goings of planes and I'm not one to be sensitive to those sorts of external sounds anyways. But to someone who is sensitive to noise (and perhaps once COVID dies down), this may not be the location for you as I could clearly hear the planes taking off from my hotel room. Checking in was straight forward, though the person behind the counter seemed tired or emotionless. They were not rude at all, but they didn't come across as welcoming. Perhaps a bad day? Just tired? The room was a decent size with a closet -- an external one, which was interesting, but certainly nothing to complain about. The room was certainly a good size, as was the bathroom. That said, a couple of key problems: 1) The king size bed had only 2 small pillows on it -- so small, in fact, that I thought there was a mistake and somehow they forgot to add pillows to the bed. There were no additional pillows in the closet(??) so I found myself having to call down to ask for pillows. The front desk seemed to be put off by this request for some reason. That said, he did arrive promptly with extra pillows -- actually labelled as being extra pillows right on the pillow cases! They were very flat and barely qualified as pillows. 2) The air conditioner was so loud, I'm not sure if it was broken or meant to be that way. I didn't bother to ask for it to be checked out, mostly due to COVID concerns and wanting to limit contact. It was manageable, but again, I'm not so sensitive to noise. If in fact that's how it normally sounds, then some people will for sure have difficulty in sleeping there. 3) The toilet became clogged after I used it. I won't say anything more about it, but I will say that this is the only experience I've ever had seeing a hotel toilet become clogged with 'normal use'. On the positive side, there were plenty of charging and electrical outlets -- very handy given I have a CPAP machine, my laptop, my phone, and so on. The view was lovely, and the room was quite clean and roomy. I slept comfortably. I'm unsure if I'd stay there again given the concerns I had, though.

Very friendly staff,great location to food/gas,etc. Very clean and comfortable rooms. During this Covid 19 Epidemic, I has felt very safe and very clean at this hotel. Haven't had the opportunity to try any of the hotel amenities though

Stayed in a ground floor room which had access to the inside hallway and i could park right out front of my room which waa awesome. I was woken up a few times from noise in the hallway and the cleaning ladies up and at it around 0700. Other than that, the room was clean, the city is nice.

I was charged $130+ for a night here and in reality, I've stayed at $50 motels that were better. Room was NOT clean and I slept in my tee shirt and long johns to feel a little better about sleeping in the bed. And I'm not sure how much starch they use on their towels, but , using the towels was like using 50 grit sand paper on my body. I really like Best Western, and usually make a point of staying there but, I would advise any and all to avoid this location , at all cost! Very Disappointed.

This hotel is located near the main highway. It is a really well kept hotel. Rooms are really nice and clean. Breakfast room is located on the last floor and offer a nice view with a great breakfast. This was our 2nd time there, but the Covid-19 this year breakfast was different. The bag with a fruit, muffin, granola bar and bottle of water was greatly appreciated considering the circumstances. We also had access to coffee, hot water and a boiled egg sealed in a cup. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Have stayed here, and at other "non Best Western" properties in Thunder Bay, over the past two years. On every occasion that I was unable to get at room at the Crossroads, I could not wait to return. The location is great for me and easy to find. The rooms are very clean and very comfortable. The staff at the desk go above and beyond on every stay. The breakfast is fantastic. On my last checkout I was offered a complimentary travel snack and bottled water for the drive. NEVER have had that offered to me at any other location. KEEP UP THE GREAT SERVICE. YOU ARE OUTSTANDING !!!

This was our first time staying at Best Western and we are planning on making it our ' go to' place to stay from now on. Excellent service and great value for the money and conveniently located for our purposes.

It was my first time staying here and will highly recommend it, room was quite large, clean and well put together. The continental breakfast was excellent with many choices and a beautiful view. We had a ground floor room - such a great feature to be able to access your room from outside.

Just a wonderful experience all around. Front lobby comfortable and appealing. Staff so accommodating and genuinely concerned for you. Continental breakfast that surpasses any other hotel i have ever stayed at with huge variety as well as hot and cold on the menu not just a piece of toast or yogurt! Dining area was clean and cozy and breakfast was omelette/bacon/sausage or waffles they had bagels/toast, variety of cereals/porridge the variety was unbelievable. I am a loyal Best Western member, and have always had a great experience at either of the Best Western hotels in Thunder Bay. Conveniently located 5 minutes away from the airport, and its location is convenient for everything you need.

Not my first visit to this location, clean rooms, helpful staff, reasonable rates for a location close to the airport....and yet very quiet. Stayed on the 3rd floor, close to exercise room and breakfast room. Just there for a short night stop-over, but will be back again in the future.

We arrived with an oversized cooler which NEEDED to be kept cold....thinking we would replace ice as needed. We were so grateful when the front desk offered to take our large cooler and keep in in the back fridge!! AND...our flight didn't depart until 4pm, checkout is 11am.....but they kept our cooler until we picked it up at 3pm. The most friendly employees imaginable. We have stayed an numerous hotels/motels/resorts and I can honestly say....these employees were Super Stars!

The Best Western Crossroads is located near the bus if you do not have a car.The front desk staff are really great.As a Senior they helped with the bags too.The Breakfast buffet is good.The first morning I over slept and I have a medical condtion and a fine Gentleman from the front desk brought me food.The Housekeeping was great.

Was here for a few days business in October. Nothing bad to say...well, one small thing. Maid service neglected to remove used soap bar and shampoo container from shower stall shelf...I can see someone getting really put off by that....me...meh, not really acceptable but everything else was clean.,.they missed it. Mattress very comfy, great wall mounted temperature control..i.e. quiet and automatic, not those window units that always blow and always loud. TV was really good quality and great size. Breakfasts were fine...have had better but hot eggs and bacon/sausage, no issues. Good location, near airport but not loud although better to get a room not facing main street..could hear traffic a bit but not much.

I was very impressed by the service here. The staff was incredible during a difficult time for me. They went above and beyond to make sure I was able to make it to my grandmother's funeral. Also it was the best sleep I have had in years!

We've travelled across Canada and have stayed at many places that include breakfast...this place had the most clean dining experience. And it was nice and quiet and had many choices. Keep it up Best Western, this is a huge bonus for you! The welcome was warm and friendly upon checking in, and we didn't feel rushed. Lobby was spotless. The room and bathroom were clean and had plenty of space. The airport is a little close, so it can be loud, but we didn't notice it in the night. The location is otherwise great, lots of restaurants to choose from all within walking distance, and close to the Trans Canada hwy. We went across the street to a place called Naxos, and although it was extremely quiet here (it was late) food and service was fantastic. We are very pleased with our experience here and plan to explore more Best Western hotels in the future.

Clean room, ample space, quiet environment, convenient location, great restaurants and grocery stores nearby, only few minutes from the airport, very friendly staff and delicious breakfast with a wide variety to choose from.

We were traveling back home to Calgary and were fortunate to get a room at this hotel. Thunder Bay hotels are often sold out. The staff, especially Tracey, were very helpful with our reservation. The hotel is very conveniently located with plenty of parking. The room was well appointed, quiet and clean with a comfortable queen bed and pull out sofa. Breakfast was good but I missed having the scrambled eggs option. Having a microwave and fridge in the room is very helpful when you are travelling. I highly recommend this hotel.

The room Was good but our neighbor was loud and ubiquitous, so didnt get much sleep. Food was ok the omelette looked weird and not much to choose from. Didnt get to check in until after 2pm cause room wasn't ready.

Pet Friendly Hotel with room doors to the outside, so you can get your pets outside without adventures down the hallways. The staff was pleasant, located just off the highway if you are traveling through and need a quick stop for the night, and don't want to end up down town. Prices were far more fair than the other Best Western in Thunder Bay. I guess that has to do with the age of the building, but the building is clean and we had no issues during our stay.

Rooms are always super clean. Staff exceptionally helpful Would definitely stay again. They donate and support to the Royal Canadian Legion. Breakfast is is always good and fruit is very fresh. Staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome

I just had to make a reservation for my son who is driving across Canada and will be stopping in Thunder Bay for the night. I had the opportunity to speak with Sarah at the front desk who was an absolute delight to deal with. There were a couple of things that were out of the norm and she was very professional and provided all of the information I required to complete this reservation. Staff is always great at the Best Western in Sioux Lookout. I return every month for work and it feels very welcoming. Just let them know what you need and they'll make it work for you. And the place is always clean and kept in great repair.

This hotel is not at the level of a standard Best Western. Save yourself the experience I had and stay elsewhere. We usually stay at Best Westerns when we travel and we have an expectation of excellent rooms and a good experience. We didn't have this in Thunder Bay on top of the poor experience this room was one of the most expensive on our trip.

We enjoyed one night at the Best Western Thunder Bay Crossroads hotel while travelling across Canada. It was close to the highway, offered free parking, wifi and breakfast, but did not offer a pool. Our room also included a coffee maker, fridge and microwave. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was hot and substantial. I would stay here again.

As always, a great stay was experienced at the Best Western Crossroads. Right from the check-in to the check-out, all was smooth and hassle free. My room, was clean and modern. The best part about staying at the Crossroads is the cliental, the hotel is never noisy at night.

Got in late, but still enjoyed a great nights sleep and hot breakfast in the 3rd floor. Staff were very warm and professional. It's right off the highway so you don't have to drive through the city. Gas stations, banks and coffee shops close by.

Was planning to pay cash for the room, but they still needed to put a hold on my credit card for the entire price of the room in case I didn't pay. How is that possible if I have cash in hand to pay for it? I understand the need for a credit card for incidentals, but usually it's 50$ not the entire price of the room. WHICH I WAS PAYING IN CASH. The 2 people working the front desk should not be working in hospitality. Not a fan of the 3/4 used toilet paper rolls, kinda gross. One good thing the beds are comfortable. I will try to avoid Best Westerns after this.

This is a clean, modern and very comfortable hotel. The rooms are large, bright and well appointed. The location is convenient for getting off, and back on, the highway. The location is also the cause of our biggest complaint. The hotel is located at the junction of two major roads and the traffic noise is significant. It is also located very near the airport. Depending on which way the wind is blowing you are either on the take off path or in the back blast area of jets taking off. Just as we arrived there was a horrific roar which brought guests out of the hotel to see what was going on. The noise lasted for at least a minute. It was the noise of a large jet aircraft taking off in the opposite direction. This is in no way a reflection of the staff of the hotel who were courteous and professional at all times. We are used to RVing and camping between interstate highways and railway tracks so we always travel with ear plugs - we used them last night.

Stayed here last night on our path to B.C. very clean, comfy beds, and good shower. Breakfast room was nice and big, make your own waffles, sausage and eggs and also cold breakfast options. Would def stay here again.

All we wanted was to get some sleep on our long drive. Hotel is very conveniently located, and it is exactly the motel we needed with the car parked next to our room. But we could not sleep at all: noise from some pipes, sistema turning on and off all night, rumbling, shaking, hissing.... the service desk was not even willing to make any comments when I mentioned the issue in early morning. Not even a standard Canadian “I sorry”. Poor service and poor quality of rest. The rest was ok.

This hotel was clean. Had all the amenities. Very helpful staff. This was one of the nicer stops we had on our move across the country. Would 100% recommended this hotel in thunder bay. Breakfast had awesome waffle toppings

This hotel still has that "new" hotel smell. It's a few years old but it is still clean and tidy and "like new". It's my first choice when I pass through Thunder Bay. The beds are very comfortable and the building and surroundings are very clean and tidy.

This is the only hotel I use in Thunder Bay. The staff treats me like family. I always enjoy the quiet of having a ground floor room at the back. The Crossroads is my home away from home!! The breakfast just gets better all the time too....

I usually enjoy staying at this hotel and have really never had any problems there. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfasts good. However, on this stay, I found chip crumbs in the bed. I was not impressed. Luckily there was another room available and I was moved.

Our go-to hotel while in Thunder Bay. We frequently make numerous trips there during the year and always stay at the BW CrossRoads. Staff are friendly and helpful, rooms are clean and comfortable. Highly recommend the suites or Executive rooms. Breakfast is hot, filling and tasty. Stuart the General Manager is always helpful and takes pride in this establishment, and it shows with his staff as well. Always looking forward to returning.

A pleasant stay - practical, clean and handy to the airport. The manager Stuart went above and beyond not once but twice with my stay. I was having trouble with retrieving data and printing for a presentation and he saved the day! On my departure date the cab company (Roach, don't use them) never showed up. Stuart kindly brought me to the airport in a snow storm. Breakfast was a nice surprise and the view of Mount McKay was appreciated despite looking at other businesses. Housekeeping staff wonderful. Front desk young people will grow in their customer service skills (nuances, difficult to train!) but I would still give this mid range hotel a 5 out of 5.

Stayed three nights April 23 to April 26. Comfortable, very clean room, excellent beds, good selection of TV channels, fridge and microwave in room. Service was excellent, friendly and efficient. This hotel is in a very good location with access to expressway and several fast food outlets, two Chinese take-aways, pizza, McDonald's and A&W just down the street. Also Joey's fish and chips, very very good. The airport is five minutes away, so there are planes coming and going, but didn't bother us and its quiet during the night. Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. Stuart and Hilary.

I wanted to pay cash or debit visa for my deposit but was told by the girl at the front desk they do not do that she then proceeded to ask me if I wanted to cancel my reservation and would not even try to come up with an alternate payment plan. She was rude. I don't like to use my credit cards for this as it takes them up to a week to put the money back on my card. The next guy I dealt with was able to help me out. (He was a little nicer) Thou I had to call someone to try and fix it first. I don't mind paying for a deposit and would gladly do it with my debit card and have it replaced the next morning. I have done this at other hotels with no problems.

Staying at the Best Western is always a great stay. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The internet works flawlessly and at high speed. The best part is the the continental breakfast, there is a good selection that makes a great start to the day.

Booking n was very quick and I was upgraded to a King room. The front desk staff and I are have met a number of times in my previous stays and make me feel like I'm home. The rooms were very clean and nicely appointed with a very comfortable bed and firm pillows. The tv stations have just been switched over to HD giving a very clear picture and sound. The room includes a safe if required for securing valuables. There is a coffee maker in the rom and another selectable coffee maker by the front desk that dispenses coffee, mocha, not chocolate and so on. A nice bonus. There is no restaurant on site, but there are a number of restaurants and bars within easy walking distance as well as a shopping mall just over the highway, with a new LCBO with excellent selection. There is also a Creek with river bank walking trails about a quarter mile away. One of my favourite smaller hotels in the city to stay at.

Every year we go fishing in northern Ontario we spend our first night at this motel. Crossing the border at Pigeon River this is a very convenient spot to spend the night. There are many restaurants conveniently located. They have a very nice breakfast available. The rooms are always clean and they have coffee available in the lobby 24/7. Will return this year again.

excellent stay-rooms very comfortable.TV guide on screen in room not like @ home for channel selection. Weather was terrible in the city (snowfall). The parking lot was cleared rapidly(twice) during our stay at BW Xroads.

This is a well managed hotel. The staff are friendly. I had the pleasure of chatting with a few staff members who were very helpful and made my stay that much more enjoyable. Location is close to amenities and located right off the highway for ease of access.

We have been loyal customers at Crossroads for at least a decade . It's our hotel of choice when we visit the city. It is economical, clean and allows our pet when we have to travel with him. The hotel location is optimal for most of our needs close to our son, close to the airport and with the Highway being only yards away easy to travel anywhere in the city. As a bonus for those with back problems the beds are very comfortable.

This is by far my favourite hotel when driving across northwestern Ontario. The location is perfect for doing anything in the city. There is a gas station exceptionally close and a Pizza Hut is within walking distance. The hotel is so comfortable with abundant parking. The beds are terrific, and the morning breakfast is huge. Access to Arthur street is immediate yet the hotel is incredibly quiet; access to highway 17 is easy and only minutes away. Definitely my go-to while in Thunder Bay!

Great hotel, staff were friendly and very helpful. Recommended an awesome restaurant, (best Chinese we ever had!) . Drive up our door to unload, spacious room and great amenities. If ever we go through again would definitely stay there again. Thanks guys for the wonderful memories!

Unaccommodating for large bookings Clean hotel, comfortable beds. But if you are looking to book the hotel for 40+ employees, the hotel is unwilling to adjust the morning breakfast time by 15 minutes. In order to meet timings we were required to leave the hotel at 06:30, thereby missing the complimentary breakfast (but still billed at a prenegotiated rate) Front desk was unwilling to entertain the idea at all. In order to meet timings we were required to leave the hotel at 06:30, there by missing the complimentary breakfast. Will not be booking here again for long term projects, nor will I recommend it business associates. Its disappointing. Comfort Inn across the street adjusted their timings to accommodate some associates staying in their hotel. So the idea isnt too outlandish

Good clean well looked after hotel. Only minutes to airport. You might want to ask for a room on the east side so you are not woken by planes taking off in morning! Service fast and friendly. Good hot breakfast included. Fitness room but no pool.Overall good value for price!

The hotel is very clean, rooms are quiet, the bed was very comfortable, the staff is very professional, polite and efficient. The breakfast could be updated slightly (just a traditional complimentary breakfast). The fitness centre is satisfactory, minir improvements and it would be great for a hotel. Definitely would stay here again and again.

I have spent several days each month in Thunder Bay for years now on business. Crossroads BW has always been consistent, clean, and reliable. Staff are friendly, and like family. I know what I am getting before I go.

While passing through Thunder Bay the Best Western Hotel caught our attention. Never had a bad experience staying at any before. Checking in was easy and staff was very friendly and help full on restaurants info etc. our room was ground level and was able to back up and park right at your door. Big bonus, no need for a cart and for the elderly. The WiFi worked excellent, the Room was very clean, shower was very clean and water pressure excellent. Little problem getting tv remote to work but front desk attendant came right away to solve a simple battery replacement. Continental breakfast was good, cheese omelets, sausages, waffles, eggs, fruit, etc. it's all you need and was very nicely displayed. Very maintained Hotel and Easy to find while traveling. 2 thumbs up and great job.

Perfect location while travelling. Close to everything. Close to airport and TransCanada. Very pleasant staff. Helpful and knowledgeable. Even have microwave dinners onsight if in a rush. Breakfast is excellent.

We stayed here on our way east. Check in was convenient and easy. Prices are comparable to other hotels in the area. The hotel itself is very clean and modern. The bed was very comfortable and the room clean. Complimentary breakfast was included and there was many delicious options that we enjoyed before going back to travel. My family stays here on their way out west and we will definitely book again on our way through Thunder Bay in the future!

Spent two nights here, very clean. Great breakfast, room was roomy, nice bathroom set up. It was nice to be able to park outside our door to easily carry luggage in to room the location was on outskirts of all main travelling roads in Thunder Bay .Another great Best Wester Hotel.

We stayed here recently to make catching an early morning flight a little easier to accomplish. Very close to the airport (perhaps a kilometre), also to many restaurants and variety stores. Most needs can be met within a very comfortable walking distance. We had a double queen, room was very spacious and clean. Work desk and free wifi (good, strong signal) are provided, as is a decent hot breakfast at no additional charge. Beds were very comfortable, good linens and amenities. Price seemed fair.

First time I have been back to this hotel in 3 years. Desk manager still recognized me as soon as I walked in. Great start.Check in was smooth and error free. Room was still as clean and in the same condition as it was 3 years ago. No visible deterioration. Nice to see.Bed was very comfortable as were the desk chair and sofa. Bathroom was clean and everything worked well.Internet was stable and fairly fast. Lots of free parking and close to the airport and other amenities.Still my go to hotel in Thunder Bay!!!

Rooms are good and include microwave and fridge (ours even had a small freezer). Breakfast has lots of choices, too. Just wish the beds weren't so soft and mushy. Would like a firmer mattress for sure.

Really nice hotel but a bit on the expensive side. Stayed one night while heading to the Maritimes from Edmonton. Got in late (around 11pm). Room was so spacious, had a king bed and could easily fit another queen. This was perfect as out 1 year old had been in the car for about 11hrs that day. He had a lot of space to crawl and walk around after the long car ride. The room had a bathtub ( I note this because the hotel we stayed in the night previous was a walk in shower only). The tub was spotless… seriously, not even water spots on the tub fixtures. The hotel has complimentary breakfast and a high chair (the cushion was torn in several areas) The little one didn't care though, he loved the yogurt and waffles. This hotel does not have a pool but given how late we got in and early we left, we wouldn't have had time . Would stay here again if doing another road trip.

I stayed here with my husband for 6 nights with our dog. This hotel is very clean and quiet if you stay in the back rooms. Last time I was here the wifi sucked. It was clearly not working then and has been fixed as there were no issues whatsoever with it. The staff are extremely friendly and will bend over backwards to help you. I actually didn't want a ground floor room even though we had our toy poodle with us and they moved us no problem. The free breakfast is really good with ample choices and quantities of food. The beds are super comfortable and my husband is quite picky. He was quite impressed with this place for the money and so am I. I wouldn't hesitate to come back to this hotel again. You can walk to restaurants and lovely residential area with walking/bike path beside it for walking too. Gym facility although small is a bonus!

Entirely adequate in most respects and excellent in some, notably breakfast, which was free. As a result of the first night's experience, we added two more nights. We would look for a Best Western in future trips

Worst hotel stay ever. Just felt gross the whole time and beds were terrible. Light peered around the door from hallway which lead to no sleep. Room temp was up and down. Air conditioner was really loud I would not recommend staying here

I was here for 3 nights in May,2018. The rooms were average and had been updated. The location was good as it was close to the airport. The breakfast was fine with a decent selection.The staff were friendly and went the extra mile.

A great location close to hwy 17. Pet friendly and staff made a big deal about my dog. A bit noisy as my room 102 was close to the front desk. Breakfast was good. Overall grade is a c+ I would stay here again

Stayed one night at this Best Western and I had enough. My room was on the first floor facing the busy road...super loud at night. Our room was older and outdated. I've stayed in better best western hotels... I wouldn't return.

We were there for the Thunder Bay vintage car rally-staff did everything possible to make our accommodations clean and comfortable. Food was great, location perfect to see the sights. Great for families!

Your hotel was very good close lots of stores Walmart,shoppers drug mart,gas stations and restaurants. The room was very comfortable and quite . The breakfast was very good the room was set up very good selection of food and the help in breakfast room was very helpful and friendly

Convenient location to airport. Friendly check-in Rooms very clean As a bonus we had a birds eye view of the CF-18 doing maneuvers at the airport. Would recommend this location to anyone travelling to Thunder Bay

Love this place!!! They treat me like family!! I stay here often..... highly recommend....If your travelling with a pet, you wanna stay here. When I stay here alone I feel very safe to go for a walk around the area. Lots of good places to eat within walking distance.

We always stay here each year for the special Olympics bowling tournament with our son. The bowling alley is just across the street from the hotel and so is convenient. The morning breakfast is always good and the rooms are well maintained with friendly staff .

My go-to for business in TB. I have visited many times over the years. Always and excellent experience and the breakfast is quite decent with a change-up every day. They pay the cab to, and from, the airport..a nice touch!

The staff are friendly and accommodating, the breakfast is good and the rooms are clean. I would recommend staying here for business.

We got to the hotel late that night and the front desk staff was very accommodating. They made us feel very welcomed and ensured that our stay would be nice and it was! If you are looking for a hotel after a very long days drive like we were then this is the place for you.

My wife was skeptical being Thunder Bay and past experiences. Check-in went well. Up to room and comments from everyone how clean and fresh it was. large empty fridge. enough plugs to plug and charge all the electronics (2 kids, 2 adults with multiple devices each) The free breakfast got the second set of comments. Everyone surprised at how good everything was. Choices for everyone from eggs different each day plus boiled always available, a meat with that (bacon, ham, sausage), quaker oats, cereals (including the sugary fruit loops for kids), coffee, fresh juices (orange, apple, pineapple), bagels, white, rye and some "healthy" grain style, english muffins all for toast, croissants, various pastries, etc. I've probably forgotten some items too. in shower, no shortage of hot water, nor pressure. other little kudos for them - ordered takeout at nearby restaurant to find out no cutlery, front desk accommodated. car rental forgot a brush (and boy was it needed), front desk once again accommodated. everyone on staff friendly from everyone at front desk, to breakfast "manager", cleaning staff, even staff cleaning snow outside. Won't hesitate to stay again. Only thoughts - for someone handicapped and needing the wall support bar might find the toilet paper dispenser in the way as it was mounted in our room right over top of the handicap bar. other thought is the waste with plastic utensils - kids broke a couple knifes and forks each meal - maybe a dishwasher would be more environmentally friendly - just nitpicking

Stayed twice. Once was cleaner than the other but it was never dirty. The bottom floor has the direct outside entrance so it is very convenient for us pet owners. Close to everything. Staff is nice. The free hot Breakfast is better than average. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

I like to stay at this Best Western hotel because it is close to the edge of the city, close to the airport, close to restaurants, I can call and ask for a specific area of the hotel I'd like my room to be located at, and it's a good price.

My go to place in Thunder Bay when I have my dog with me. Reasonable rate and only 15$ pet fee. Also ground floor, room to the parking lot is handy for the dog. Clean hotel, friendly staff , close to restaurants. Order your airport shuttle earlier than you need it, They use taxis and there is a shortage of them in the city so they can be late.

All good except for the room 122 that had dog hair all over the 2nd bed....they changed us for 124...all ok. Breakfast was excellent helpful staff...good sleep...asked for a quiet room and was real pleased with it.

We have stayed at this location many times over the years and they have always been accommodating to our needs. Our little dog is always welcome here. and best of all the beds are extremely comfortable.

B/W Crossroads is a clean, quiet & comfortable Hotel. All the employees (front desk, maids & breakfast hostess) are always friendly, helpful & professional. The qualify of the "Rewards Program", B/W Crossroads and the staff are why we try to always stay there. If there are no available rooms, we'll stay at B/W Norwester, which also provides us with quality service!

My room on the third floor away from the elevator was perfect until i noticed the Arthur Street traffic~it didn't stop. The room was large a outdated but good enough for 1 night. The shower was not cleaned properly as there was residual hair on the shower walls~ housekeeping could be heard early in the morning wondering if rooms were checking out....there is a gym as well as breakfast room on the 3rd floor.

We always stay here. No pool - no kids running around. Excellent breakfast - close to airport.- clean - updated - close to restaurants , Reasonable room prices - Good access to the city yet on the edge.

This is a nice hotel close to the Airport and the Trans-Canada if you're driving. It has main floor interior/exterior entrances (always a bonus feature) but an elevator if you're staying on an upper level. The room was clean and reasonably spacious. Hot breakfast options are available beyond the usual continental fare and after a month on the road and eating many complimentary breakfasts along the way, we thought it was far above average. It's on a busy thoroughfare close to many malls and there are a number of fast food options nearby. If you're interested in upper scale dining, it appeared that most of the nicer restaurants are downtown, perhaps 7-8 Kms away. All things considered, we thought that this place was very good value for the buck.

The BW Crossroad is well positioned for those with early flight departures from Thunder Bay International Airport, providing the right amount of amenities for a reasonable price. Staff are friendly and the rooms are clean, functional and modern!

The online check in and booking was easy and efficient. The staff greeted me in a professional and friendly manner. Breakfast was served up in the morning hot and fresh and staff made sure that everything was replenished as it was used up. My room was quiet and comfortable and the bathroom was clean and well stocked with towels and soaps. A taxi was arranged to take me to the airport with the fee covered by Best Western Crossroads

As always the room was clean and quiet. We parked right outside our room which was nice as were were driving a 26' Uhaul. It is so nice to have breakfast included when staying at a BW. They always have a nice variety and you can take a coffee and some fruit to go.

Clean , quiet and convenient location. Drive up rooms available, I prefer the rear of the building as it is very quiet in the back. Check in and out was quick. Rooms were very clean. Breakfast was ok, lots of choices

Excellent stay. Clean room. Breakfast was decent. Friendly, hospitable staff. I would stay here again as I enjoy the complimentary breakfast and the hotel location is close to many amenities. The parking lot entrance and exit is a bit of trouble but with the help of one of the front desk personnel we were able to circumvent the issues during rush hour.

Well it was a last minute flight back home to Thunder Bay, and a late arrival to the city. My husband and I opted to stay at this Best Western as it is located on the corner of the Expressway and Arthur Street instead of waking up my elderly parents. After collecting our luggage at the airport, it was a short five minute taxi ride to the hotel. We were pleased that the BW covered the cost of our taxi ride from the airport to the hotel which was nice! By the time we checked in and got to our room it was after 1am; I did take some pictures before we went to sleep. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable as expected at a BW. We enjoyed the selection of the free breakfast and the hotel even covered the cost of our taxi back to the airport to pick up our rental car. Thanks Best Western!

This hotel was at a very good location for leaving in the morning. Close to the airport for easy access for any flights. The breakfast area was clean and well supplied. Staff at the front counter very very helpful. I appreciated the extra efforts the front counter evening staff went above and beyond my expectations. The exercise room looked great but just no time. I will visit again when in the area if needed.

After a very long third day in a row traveling, we didn't get anything near friendly from the two clerks, no greetings, barely looking up from their computer screens every time we walked by them, no friendly suggestions for eating etc, otherwise the room was clean and comfortable but the clerks spoiled our visit, including in the morning trying to make friendly conversation with them.

Canada's 150th I decided to drive across Canada to visit old friends. I got into ThunderBay quite late and was hungry. The night clerk gave me directions to a restaurant close by to eat. And then my room had an exterior entrance which was extremely handy to move my luggage in and out. Great place to stay. Thanks Best Western.

Loved the free 24 hour coffee/tea/hot chocolate machine. Nice to have a fresh cup of coffee when I wanted. Nice clean hotel, good continental breakfast with hot eggs, bacon, waffles, pastries, and other typical items. Good selection.

stop to sleep at the Best Western and when i got out of my van i lost my footing , pushed the door closed as i was falling and locked myself out of my van . The Guys at the front desk took matters in to making sure i get back into my van ASAP .thanks Guys for all the extra work ill never forget it.

Well maintained clean room. Comfortable beds and lots of pillows. Easy to find as you travel thru Thunder Bay. Lots of restaurants close by as well as shopping. fitness Centre inside hotel. Quiet no hallway. Noise.

It was a one night stay on a cross country road trip. We had a room on the first floor with both interior and exterior access. Everything about this stay was great -- clean room, good shower pressure, and great breakfast.

For the Price I expected a swimming pool and hot tub. Was very disappointed. Mattress was not comfortable and needs to be replaced. Carpet in room was due for a steam cleaning. Did have a nice hot breakfast though.

I love this hotel, the bottom floor all has outdoor access, the hotel is always quiet at night, the beds are comfy & I've stayed here many times and its always been clean. The staff is great & location is good. The only downfall is the basic cable, not as many channels as some other hotels

I have stayed at his particular Best Western hotel in Thunder-Bay at about 10 nights in the past 12 months and have never been disappointed. Right from the moment you enter at the front foyer the hotel is very clean, the guy call Alex at the front desk that checks you in is amazingly friendly, courteous, kind, gives you warm welcome and very helpful. The room is very clean, décor is excellent, have never had any issue with internet connection and the overall cleanliness of the hotel is great. The hotel is minutes from the airport and can get access to all restaurants within a 5min walk. You also get a little discount with every night stay and with my rewards points, this was money well spend and I will keep going there as long as I continue to have this experience. Breakfast is amazing with several options. However, the lady that serves at the breakfast could be more friendly and have smile. I really do not feel comfortable going and eating in there because of her. But I guess she is who she is but I would not hire for such a job in that capacity if I were the hotel manager. She probably is a great person but just not in a position where she interacts with people and where you may need to smile to make people feel a bit more welcome

We arrived the first time in the pouring rain and found the hotel difficult to get to. It was much easier coming from the west. Our stay was pleasant and the only negative about the hotel was the lack of counter space in the bathroom. Not nearly enough space for 2 people. There were many dining places within walking distance.

Room bathroom not cleaned, floors not vacuumed, bed linens not replaced, lights in bath burnt out. Manager had room redone and waived room charge. Overall a disappointing experience for a Best Western

Can't complain about anything with this hotel. staff was courteous and rooms were very clean. breakfast was very good and has an elevator which is very nice to have. all in all will always stay there when visiting Thunder Bay.

Looks like an older property, but rooms were clean and the bed comfortable. Good staff and decent breakfast. Convenient location. Easy booking, check in and check out. Worked well for our short visit. I would recommend.

Tbay being booked solid on the weekend, we were lucky to get a room! Was expensive, although that seems to be the going rate this season. The computers were acting up at check-in so took a little bit longer but Tammy was still friendly and courteous. The room was clean but had a funky smell in the doorway/bathroom area. Couldn't quite put my finger on it. There was a dog staying in the room next door to us so I chalked up the smell to being a pet smell from a previous guest, or else it was an attempt to cover up a smell. Thank goodness it was only by the door and not in the bed area. I like the separate sink area so that one can brush teeth while another showers. Lots of room in the room. Bed was super comfy and pillows were good. Fridge and microwave in the room. No freezer though so couldn't freeze the cooler pack thingy. Not a huge deal. Nice big deep bathtub. Lots of hot water. Breakfast room too small and cramped. No flow for food items. Other guests were like vultures and pushy (not the hotels fault). The breakfast staff did a good job of trying to keep up with said vultures. I wonder if the vultures were trying to eat enough ham slices to justify the cost of the room? haha I jest. Air conditioner was in good working order. The Internet was the best I've ever had in a hotel. The. Best. Seriously. Thank you for that. Check out was a bit awkward with Anastasia but it worked out and all was well in the end.

Nice property, lack of adequate seating for breakfast, no guest laundry. Had to drive to laundromat. Beds comfortable. Easy 1-2 block walk to multiple dining options. Try Monsoon for great Indian food.

The property is nice enough and I did get a good night sleep. I received no recognition, however, as a Best Western Rewards member. Also the front desk failed to share that the doors are locked after 11 PM and that it would take 10 minutes to gain entry. Arriving from the west coast at about 10:30 PM, I was not ready to go to bed. I was surprised at the difficulty I had gaining entry when I returned from my walk.

Very friendly staff that make you feel at home. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that asks where to stay inThunder Bay. For some reason the internet reception was very poor, had to use my data plan. Prices are very good.

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We were extremely satisfied. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was patient and answered all of our questions. Provided information and gave us excellent directions.

We stayed 4 days and 3 nights. Rooms were clean and the staff were all very friendly. Everyone greeted you and the staff that were on duty for the continental breakfast were awesome. They said Good morning, assisted you if you needed help, which I did making waffles. They constantly wiped up any messes of syrup, etc. and anything anyone left behind. They also refilled everything and everything was nice and hot.

The staff was friendly and efficient. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, what more does a guy need? The breakfast had a choice of waffles or eggs and ham (or both). Coffee was on 24/7 in the lobby. I have no complaints, and would most certainly recommend this hotel.

We have stayed at this location many times over the past few years for several reasons. It is close to the airport where we drop off and pick up our children when they visit It is fairly close to our son's apartment and allows us easy access to the city bypass which we use to get across town quickly and easily when we need to do so. Also they accept pets at this location when we travel with our small dog.

BW Thunder Bay is in need of a refresh. Our room's toilet was only flushable when we filled the reservoir tank from the sink. Parking is a major issue - 3 guest took up 13 parking spaces with their trailers and just not knowing how to park

Came to see the amethyst mine and stayed at this hotel one night. While checking in, the young woman Anastasia who had bad English, checked me in and pushed me to become a BW member. She asked for ID, so when she handed me the print off showing my member #, I saw she spelled my last name wrong. I brought it to her attention and she didn't think it was a big deal. So I said to her that if she asked me for ID, then I'd like her to change it so that there's no issues in the future trying to claim my points. Thought that would have been handled more carefully seeing as she had the correct spelling of my name in her hand. She also mentioned that my receipt would be slipped under the door in the morning. For a room costing $165, I am surprised it wasn't perfect. The bathroom door had coffee drips on it, there were pubes in the tub, The toilet runs, the carpet is too big, causing my friend's toddler to constantly trip over the bump of extra material in several spots in the room. The bed was ok but this room was nothing to write home about. When I woke up the next day, I expected the receipt under the door but there was no receipt to be found. I went downstairs only to meet up with Anastasia once again and I asked her where the receipt was. she then told me that they never slip it under the door, so I asked her if I could have a copy and she said she would email it. I said no I would like a hardcopy so she gave it to me and she watched me go back upstairs. I then went for breakfast,!which was the same as any super eight or comfort inn serve, the same waffles, eggs, ham or bacon etc. Still haven't figured out why it so expensive if it's comparable to other hotels that are $50 cheaper. After breakfast I went to my room to gather my things and I had a knock at the door and when I answered it, it was housekeeping saying that I had checked out. I told her I simply asked for a receipt and she said well that means you checked out. Kind of rude, so this stay wasn't worth $165 that's for sure. Won't stay again

My family and I traveled to Thunder Bay to help out family there and required an extra two days to complete our tasks. The rooms were immediately booked and we got to stay on in the same room. Staff were all friendly and courteous and appear happy in their jobs, which is a compliment to the supervisory staff. I will certainly stay here at the next opportunity.

I would reccommend staying at this motel to anyone travelling with or with out children. This trip was a business adventure however I have stayed here in the past with family and found it to be equally accomodating. Quiet clean and very relaxing with a very good breakfast assortment.

We always stay here when we are I the city. It is always clean and the rooms are fine, the breakfast is all you need. I would recommend this hotel. We always like to stay in Best Western Hotels because you always know what to expect.

The Best Western Thunder Bay is conveniently located right off Hwy 61, a block from Hwy ON-17. But we did not find it too noisy to bother our sleep. The facilities are generally well maintained, and everything works out well for us. Besides the standard hot buffet breakfast, this management does include a very nice "make-your-own" waffle which includes all trims including strawberry sauce and whipped cream.

We stayed here for one night, our room was 109, was clean and fully supplied. It is a pet friendly hotel with strange rules. You can have your pets stay at hotel, $15/day and pay up front, you can not leave your pets alone in the room, we asked, "so what do you do when you go for breakfast? " Anastasia just did a forced chuckle and said nothing. She appeared being rude and not very helpful. We went out for dinner, left our dog in the car at hotel parking lot, only because it was not hot out, otherwise our dog would stay in the room- he is well behaved so we wouldn't be worried about damage. Breakfast was on 3rd floor, which was well supplied and clean. $132 night + $15 (pet)

As always, this hotel has met our expectations and served us well. They have held their prices and kept up with their remodel. Although we had made other arrangements for breakfast, the free one at the hotel usually is fully satisfactory.

The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, extremely helpful. The rooms are superb, very clean (spotless), well stocked with necessities (shampoo, conditioner, towels, soaps, coffee/tea, hair dryer, iron and board, clean TV remote) . The best service ever. And they are located where they are very easy to find.

I like this hotel because of the easy access to the ground floor rooms. I can drive up and park right outside your hotel room. the hotel is always quiet and a good night sleep is easy here. there is a continental breakfast that is available, but I have never used it.

Stayed here as hotel was close to medical clinic we were attending. Typical hotel as for noise from other guests using shower and banging doors in hallways. Found beds very hard but overall rooms were modern and clean. Fairly good breakfast offerings in the morning. Tip: ask for a room on the north side of hotel at check-in.

Our room was very clean and the staff was kind and helpful. The hotel was a little too far from the TransCanada highway; however we did not expect the town itself to be quite so distant from the highway. There was a good choice of eateries nearby.

Stayed here for 2 nights on a cross country journey. It's easy to access from the highway and close to restaurants, shopping and historic fort William. Beds were comfortable, breakfast had a standard selection of hot and cold items. Wifi also worked well. All in all a good place to stay.

My mom and i went to visit my younger sister in Thunder Bay and we stayed at this hotel for four days. Staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The location is beautiful. I would definitely stay here again.

We were on the road for 16 hours and checked into this hotel in Thunder Bay. Staff were very courteous, the hotel was easy to find and not far from our main travel route. Room was spacious and very clean with all the amenities you would want for a night stay. Breakfast we excellent with many choices for any size or style of appetite. great value for the money.

Updates to rooms make the Best Western Crossroads in Thunder Bay,ON a great place to stay. They offer a breakfast which has a good variety of choices in a very clean room. Employees are always helpful and make you feel welcome at the hotel.

Clean hotel and rooms. Staff was very polite, breakfast was nice, the normal breakfast. The room was arranged a little tight, might have been easier to move around it middle counter was moved. the location was very nice, right of the main road through Thunder Bay, Restauarants within walking distance.

Beautiful rooms, excellent staff! Very good, free breakfast. Staff was very helpful with where I needed to go. If you want just a place to sleep that is in the center of it all, this is the hotel to stay at.

Would definitely recommend. Especially since soooooo many of the smaller hotels and motels have increased there price to 100+ and are no where near as nice as this hotel. I would highly recommend that you spend your money at a BW hotel!

A leisure trip and nice spot to relax at. Breakfast was okay but not great, rooms were good and internet was great. Parking was very abundant and very clean lot, lots of room and well marked and lit. Close to restaurants and other shopping facilities, very nice spot and not much traffic noise.

Enjoyed our overnight stay; the room was clean, comfortable and easily accessible as we were on the ground level. Great that they are pet friendly. The hotel is situated close to restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Very handy. Would recommend this hotel.

I stay at this Best Western every time I come to Thunder bay or am passing through. I always get great service. Sarah at the front desk is always accommodating. Unfortunately this time there was a group of young men on second floor who first could be heard until 1-2 am. Which I understand that sometimes a trip away from home people like to have fun, luckily my child wasn't aware and wasn't bothered at night time. But once morning came these young men were screaming in the hallways and yelling profanities starting shortly after 8:30am. I would like to say the housekeepers on that floor did an excellent job, they did the best they could do in that situation and after a younger fellow approached them to try to get them to stop yelling and swearing for respect of the other guest; they showed no respect back and started to make fun of them and demand them to clean, from what I heard was pee that these guest thought it would be funny to pee all over the floor and get the staff to clean it. Even the woman housefkeeper tried to get them to smarten up. My family left shortly after that. I will continue to come back every time I stay in Thunder Bay and would like to reasure those housekeepers that they did an excellent job today and couldnt imagine being in that situation myself. It is a hard job and don't deserve to be treated that way. Props to the Best Western for staying professional in any circumstance and to keep up the amazing jobs you all do

Spent 47th wedding anniversary here as we are very pleased with the accommodations and staff. Another very nice stay. Quiet, close to fine dining within walking distance. Very clean, great breakfast and overall an excellent place to stay.

Service friendly and helpful. Very clean, beds are very comfortable;always look forward to the continental breakfast very satisfied. Close to airport, within short walking distance or shuttle provided by the airport.

Amazing staff that understand the unique needs of tired (cold/wet) motorcyclists. It was July 1 and Canada's 150th birthday. They pointed out that the City was having fireworks at the waterfront. Despite the weather on our trip, this hotel made us feel welcome and grateful for our business.

So I spent a week at this hotel while visiting my in-laws. The room was clean, spacious, and functional. It had free WiFi, free breakfast and was not far from the airport or a number of businesses. The only complaint is there is no room service or in hotel restaurant. There was a fridge and microwave but still, no room service means no ordering in food to the room when you don't feel like going out. Overall good location and not too bad a price.

Hotel paid for a taxi to get us to the hotel from the airport very late in the evening! Breakfast had a lot of options as well! Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone! Great experience! Give it a try if you are ever in Thunder Bay!

The hotel was located minutes from the airport and also well walking distance to restaurants nearby. As I have stayed here on many occasions I am satisfied with the courteous staff and the clean comfortable rooms. Breakfast is an added bonus and helps to start my workday off right. Definitely a place to stay if working out of town or just travelling through.

The facilities were very clean and we had everything we needed. Bathrooms especially were very clean and beds comfortable. Only down side was that we had some airport noice and highway noise at night.

It is the place to stay when i travel to TB. Quality staff but the hotel is beginning to show its age. Still though worth the money. 200 hundred characters is too many. Not much else I can say. Hope you have a great day!

The staff is friendly,the room is clean an the hotel is located close to the airport.. Taxi service is spotty so make sure you book one the night before. you are also walking distance to some restaurants for dinning.

Great value, good amenities and excellent staff/service with the exception of one staff-person. Pet-friendly facility. Located near the airport and major highways making it ideal for the traveller. Highly recommend this establishment if staying overnight in Thunder Bay.

I enjoy staying at Best Western. The rooms are well appointed. The staff is friendly. There are great places to eat in walking distance (Naxos especially). Convenient location near the airport as well.

We have stayed at this Best Western many times. Rooms are clean and cozy. Breakfast could use a little improvement but there was enough to eat. Staff is very friendly and ready to help with your needs.

For a hot breakfast it was a bit cool. otherwise a pleasant experience and would stay there again. In the bathroom toilet was to close to the wall and to low to the floor. not a good experience. All in all it was a pleasant stay, and would stay there again.

We have been staying at the Crossroads Best Western for many years. We always have great experiences when we are there. The rooms and staff are always great. The staff makes us feel right at home. Keep up the great work.

After staying at the Best Western Pembina Inn in Winnepeg, this Best Western was a bit of a letdown. The room was large and clean and all the amenities worked but the staff was not friendly (not rude just not personable). This is the first place that we have stayed that the front desk could not come up with a wine glass for our use. The lobby is small, there is only one elevator and that appears to have been added as an afterthought, and the breakfast room is on the third floor. The breakfast itself included eggs and sausage and was well equipped. This Best Western seems to be a budget motel dressed up with the Best Western name.

As always I am never disappointed with my stay at any Best Western. When ever I travel I will always try to stay at the Best Western because the rooms are always neat. Internet is fast, and the breakfast always hits the spot.

Best Western Crossroads motel is a great place to stay for a visit in Thunder Bay, ON. It is a very clean, quiet hotel close to the airport with a good continental breakfast. Variety provided for different diets. Friendly, professional staff willing to assist with guests requirements.

My husband and I travel through the area a few times a year with our two small dogs. Thunder Bay is our stop over place. Until recently, we stayed at a downtown hotel but couldn't stand it there any longer. My preferences start with pet friendly then price. My research landed us here and I'm happy to say we were pleased with our stay. In my experience, your pet policy/fee is reasonable, and I hope future guests don't cause that to change. Your outdoor property is clean with grass for them to sniff around. I walked them through the neighbourhood on the walking path that is right behind the hotel. Bonus! Our room was large and clean and quiet. I never heard any noises inside or out the entire time we were there. Breakfast was good with the standard items found in hotel breakfasts. Our only issue was no hot water in the shower, only warm. I reported this when we checked out, so, hopefully not a recurring problem. We'll see when we stay again because we will be staying again.

We found this hotel very clean and updated. Service was friendly and quick. The bathrooms were updated and clean. Beds were clean, cozy and comfy. We were able to access our room via the parking lot and the hotel hallway. They are pet friendly and this aspect made our stay much easier. They offered a continuous coffee, tea and hot chocolate bar just down the hall; along with coffee in the room including a microwave and fridge, Breakfast is also included the price offered. Choices varied from bacon and eggs; to muffins/toast/bagels; cold and hot cereal, yogurt, etc.

Quick crash for the night waiting to catch the 5am flight the next morning. Everything was great, except the TV remote had a problem with the channel UP button. I did not report it I just went to the high channel and went down instead :P Hotel was quick, clean, and a comfortable stay. Would highly recommend. Naturally you will hear planes flying until the last flight of the night and then again early in the morning so you can't really complain about it. Breakfast is not available at 3:30am so I did not use that. Stayed here before and would stay again.

Located close to airport runway so if you are ok with some noise and need to be close to airport then good stay. If you want to be close to city center then be prepared for a 15 minute drive, Hotel was clean newly renovated.

I always stay at Best Western Crossroad when I travel to Thunder Bay. Excellent location, good service, good sleep with comfortable beds. It's a nice quiet hotel, located close to the airport and offers a shuttle service.

I found this hotel to be clean and well cared for. The internet is good, it is close to several excellent restaurants, stores and the airport. The people are friendly and helpful and the staff cares about servicing the guests.

Clean.. comfortable.. great service .. furniture is up to date.. lots of I want those pillows.. could use more blankets but the heater /air conditioner works great.. love the air to air that prevents steamed bathrooms

I stay here.....a lot! The staff treats me like family, the rooms are clean, breakfast is excellent. There are several restaurants within walking distance, and the expressway is very handy if you want to drive somewhere. The neighborhood is very safe to go for a walk around too. I highly recommend this place if you just want a clean room, good service and friendly people!

If you are travelling through this region and are looking for a good nights sleep this is my recommendation. Check in was a snap and so was the check out. breakfast was fast and efficient and we were on our way.

Stayed here one night during a Thunder Bay stopover. I wanted a main floor room with outdoor access, but the website doesn't allow you to book that preference. I did get the room I wanted after all, so it worked out OK. My initial room had a damaged door lock, but front desk personnel changed my room immediately upon being made aware of that problem. This is a mid range facility, showing some signs of wear - scuff marks on the door, that kind of thing. While the room appeared clean, there was a bit of a musty smell to it. While I would not stay here long term, it is OK for an overnighter, with a convenient location. One thing to note - it appears they retrofitted a false ceiling in the hallway of the ground floor, and it is not particularly high. If you are taller than 6'2", you might finding yourself wanting to duck down to avoid the automatic sprinkler heads.

It's hard to be perfect because something always goes wrong. But this place delighted me. Perky and helpful front desk staff. Great breakfast. Love the fruit spreads for the waffles. And the toppings for the oatmeal. Room was clean and quiet, everything worked, high speed internet worked always and was high speed. The only improvement I can think of suggesting is that the lobby is small and cramped. Too many chairs. Convenient to the airport, supermarket and some restaurants.

Nothing bad, nothing outstanding. Bed was a little hard, bathroom was clean. Sink was outside washroom which I don't really like. Breakfast was OK if uninspired. I haven't stayed at all that many Best Western hotels so I don't know how this one compares with other Best Westerns. For the money, it was fine.

Good solid property, especially for people arriving or departing by plane - a three minute cab ride (which the hotel pays for) is all it takes if you need just a little more zzzz's. Rooms are well appointed, very spacious and immaculately clean. Bathroom was a little smaller in the sink area but fine for what we were after. We came into the city the night before our trip just to be close to the airport. Buffet breakfast was included but we were gone before they opened it (6:30 to 9:30).

The room was neat, clean and well appointed. It seems as though there was recently a total renovation of the hotel. The staff was friendly, greeting you in the hallways from the front desk to the cleaning staff to the maintenance man. The continental breakfast was more than adequate. Even though we were across from the airport and there was a lot of air traffic we did not hear any noise from our room. The room had a good air conditioner/heater. Bathrooms were ceramic tile. The shower head could have been better but I understand the logic of low flow. Recommended.

For an overnight stay...the staff were the most memorable. Very friendly and really wanted you to be happy. No frills, pretty clean...slept OK. Heads on beds...that is the goal. Would certainly stay again if on the road again.

Cons: nothing! Pros: super comfy beds! Great bathroom, in two separate rooms, fabulous shower head! Ask for main floor - no extra cost to back up to your door, unload, and load. Great desk area with lamps everywhere that have power outlets so very much appreciated by those of us who travel with numerous technology gadgets. Fridge. Nice and clean!! Thank you!!!! Oh yes and the FREE breakfast was phenomenal - hot: oatmeal, waffles, sausage, omelettes and fabulous toppings for each, toast, muffins, english muffins, bagels, butter, jams/jellies PLUS cold: cereals, milk, hard boiled eggs, and probably lots more I've forgotten!! No need for lunch folks so take THAT off your travel budget.

I have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and I am really impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms and the diligence of the cleaning staff. Breakfast is average and the area for items is a quite compact. Quick access to the highways the airport and restaurants. Overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Thunder Bay.

Very nice hotel, outside entrance to ground floor rooms, excellent location and good breakfast! The staff was very nice and made check-in a breeze. Even though hotel is located on a busy corner it was very quiet. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Thunder Bay.

Stayed here one night on a trip west. Good location close to trans-Canada Hwy. Rooms were clean and pleasant. Staff was friendly. Lots of restaurants and services in the area. Left too early for breakfast so it would have been nice to have a few muffins or such out early. While there was noise from the airport and the highway, it was not too bad. Would stay here again.

My wife and I were driving Australian friends to Winnipeg from Ontario and booked this hotel prior as I have a BW Platinum Rewards card. On arrival, the desk clerk seemed puzzelled that one of our rooms was already occupied but this was resolved in time. The bathroom had not been cleaned in one of our rooms but was quickly taken care of when reported. I was informed that I had enough BW Reward points to qualify for a free night which I appreciated. The complementary breakfast had both hot and cold items and really impressed our Aussie friends as that doesn't happen "down under".

Excellent location, very clean hotel, rates comparable. All staff very friendly, courteous and accommodating. Employees were dressed semi-casual which made reception in very nice lobby relaxed. Room was clean, comfortable & decor was up to date. Excellent tv and internet reception. Wonderful continental breakfast on the third floor (via elevator) with lots of windows to enjoy the view. My husband & I have stayed here many times, whether just city shopping & appointments or traveling. Minutes to airport.

The Best Western Crossroads in Thunder Bay is a short hop from the airport and not far from an array of family style restaurants. It is pretty basic, but the rooms are comfortable and the staff very friendly. There is no restaurant, but there is a breakfast buffet that is quite acceptable and a small gym as well.

Very friendly staff, and knowledgeable. The room was very comfortable and clean. The continental breakfast was very good, however the serving area needs to be a little bigger. I would recommend The Best Western Crossroads to family and friends.

For being on such a busy intersection it was surprisingly quiet in our room. Also the continental breakfast was great and the staff was amazingly helpful. Great eats in the area as well. We've stayed here many times when having to fly out (airport is very close) and they offer you a cab ride to and from the airport.

I just stayed one night as I passed through. The hotel was ok, nothing fancy but I had a good night's rest. The service at the front desk was really great and they were helpful in telling me places to go eat and where to get as on my way out of town. The only complaint was the parking was completely full as the hotel was completely booked.

Great location close to the airport. Good breakfast. We booked late and therefore could only get a room for 4 with a queen and a pullout sofa. I would not recommend the sofa bed as it was uncomfortable. But otherwise this is our go-to hotel when we stay in Thunder Bay!

Friendly staff. AC was broke in the breakfast room, the owner came down and apologized to everyone for the inconvenience. What can you do? Imagine it's not easy to find a unit on a Friday afternoon. I thought it was great that the owner stepped up. Would have been easy for him to stay home and let staff deal with it.

One night stay. Can we say tiny parking lot? A couple larger vehicles meant parking for some on the street. Room itself was OK—the bathroom floor wasn't the cleanest. My room was on the main floor so rather noisy. Friendly enough staff.

We rode our bike in cold and rain most of the day from WAWA As we rode into Thunder Bay there on the corner was a Best Western We pulled in and were met with the very friendly staff of Lindy and Jonathan at the front desk They registered us quickly and gave directions to and very nice restaurant for dinner Highly recommend this hotel

Chose this hotel because it offered an airport shuttle and was a good value. The staff was terrific, the rooms were comfortable and clean, and there was a lot to choose from in the continental breakfast. Our only issue was the extremely noisy air conditioner - each time it cycled on, it sounded like a helicopter was landing on the roof!

Not our first choice of accommodation when in Thunder Bay, but due to a family recommendation we decided to stay here on our last visit. We were not disappointed given what we had heard. The staff were very helpful and on one occasion rectified a concern we expressed withe door to our room immediately. The continental breakfast is good. There is tea, coffee, juices, cereal (hot and cold), toast,muffins, baked goods, boiled eggs, omelet, sausages and French toast.. All more than one would expect as a continental breakfast. Breakfast room is small but if you hit it at the right time you can get a table. Otherwise there are trays to take food back to your room. Great proximity to restaurants in the area as well as the airport. Would definitely stay there again.

BW Crossroads TBay is always extremely clean. The staff at the front desk are always efficient and friendly. I continue to choose this hotel on a monthly basis because of these qualities. I have no other choices for other hotels in the vicinity.

Although it was a basic hotel with few amenities, it's location suited our needs. We especially liked the fact that we could get a room on the ground level. There was a wide choice of breakfast items. Coffee & tea were also available all day.

The pillows at this lower-end hotel rival bedding at some of the five-star properties I've stayed at. Bathtubs are deep and comfortable - perfect for unwinding after a long day of travel. Hotel is conveniently located to the highway and walking distance from various restaurants and basic stores. Would absolutely return.

Second time staying here. Very nice hotel. Friendly staff. Was able to park directly outside our room. Was travelling with our cat, had no issues. We stayed at a few different hotels on our trip, and this one was probably the best.

We travel through Thunder Bay regularly and this is our go to hotel. All the staff we encountered were friendly and so nice. Rooms are always clean, fresh. The beds are so comfortable after a long day of driving. The morning breakfast and the woman that was working it were really great as well. Don't think twice about staying here.

this best western is a MOTOR INN but not advertised as so on the webpage -very deceiving. If i knew it was a motor inn would have booked at another hotel. In addition, the Breakfast room is on the third floor - this was very odd and the layout was inefficient. As well, when we went for breakfast the two employees in the breakfast area was talking about guests in a negative manner and one employee was rolling eyes and impatiently waiting for the guests to move away from the coffee machine so she could replace the coffee- unprofessional!

Pet friendly, nice clean rooms, beautiful bathroom. In spite of the closeness of the highway not noisy - at least not on the ground floor that looks to the back, handy to be able to access the car or take the dog out. Good choice of breakfast dishes (beware breakfast ends at 9:30!) on the 3rd floor (with a view) breakfast room. Lots of restaurants close by on Arthur street - would recommend Wasabi (within short walk).

Very nice hotel that has a great location.Great accesss to the trans canada highway. Very friendly staff and comfortable rooms. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and plan to stay here again on my return trip.

We have stayed in this hotel 3 times now. Wonderful staff and handy location. We will stay again next time through. Rooms while smaller than some hotels are comfortable and clean. Breakfast very good. Try Naxos Greek restaurant just up the street.

We have stayed here several times. Excellent location to highways, restaurants and downtown. Views are wonderful from 3rd floor. Rooms and linens and beds are worthy of the best of the BWs. Very professional staff. Breakfast is great.

Very clean and nice hotel rooms. Bed was perfect - not too hard - not too soft. Larger than normal refrigerator in room which was NICE! Breakfast buffet was very nice. Pet friendly - Came to Thunder Bay for the Lakehead Kennel Club dog shows and this hotel had lots of grassy areas around the hotel for walking dogs along with adequate waste recepticles.

We enjoyed a nice stay at this hotel on our way home to Winnipeg. The rooms were clean (although the layout was a bit squishy from the doorway to the beds). The beds were comfy, the bathroom was spacious with good water pressure in the shower. The bonus was a delicious hot breakfast which included sausage rounds, omelets, waffles along with other typical breakfast options offered in hotels. The only problem was the eating area was on the third floor and the AC wasn't working, so it was extremely warm in there. Also, the layout in the eating area was poorly laid out. People were continually bumping into each other to get the food. I thought the price a bit high for the hotel, so I'm not sure if I would stay again, but if you are passing through, it's a good option.

We liked the convenient location of this hotel. It's not fancy but our room was clean and the bed comfortable. Front desk staff were friendly and a very good breakfast is offered as part of your stay. The room was quiet as we were on the backside, away from a main road. If possible ask for a room on the quiet side. We will consider staying here again.

On the road from our cross Canada trip, was there for one night only. Check in was easy and quick, room decent comfortable. Breakfast was generous and certainly more than the usual continental dried muffins and limp eggs from most hotels.

My son and I had a relaxing stay at BW Thunder Bay while driving across the country. Comfortable beds and very clean. Good value for price. Friendly and helpful staff. Great view from breakfast room on 3rd floor.

Booked 2 nights in July. Place was full and there was no parking available in lot. Had to park next door. Room was ok. Bed was comfortable. Shower was hot and bathroom was clean. Breakfast was pretty sparse. Staff was friendly. Moved to another hotel after 2 nights.

We stayed just 1 night as we were en-route home. We were pleased with the drive-up room, which was large and well-equipped with comfortable beds, good black-out drapes, and a small fridge. Breakfast was typical of a chain hotel but there was certainly enough selection to keep most people happy. The hotel is in a safe neighbourhood; my only comment would be that the sign on the main highway has a directional arrow for Best Western but does not specify which one (Thunder Bay has 2 BW's) so we ended up making a wrong turn. Nonetheless, I otherwise thought our stay here was fine and would definitely come again.

The hotel was clean, the room was also very clean, nice size, very comfortable bed and staff was very friendly. The hotel is quite close to the airport so a quick taxi ride takes you there in no time. This hotel paid for my cab ride which was another bonus. Will definitely stay there next time I visit

Stayed 1 night passing through ThunderBay on our way to Dryden, Ont. Hotel is situated close off Hwy 17 (TransCanada) and not far from the airport. We had a restful stay and would highly recommend if passing through. We were situated on the 3rd floor where the workout gym and Breakfast area were located. If on the 1st floor you have direct access to your room and can park outside your door. Very clean looking from the outside with spacious rooms on the inside. Internet, breakfast and sleeping accommodation and amenities were very good. Would stay here again if required.

We stayed overnight, room was nice and clean, breakfast was included and good, no complaints, conveniently located in city but next to the highway if you are on a road trip, staff was friendly and efficient

We stayed here for two nights while in Thunder Bay. The hotel was clean, quiet, firm beds and the breakfast had plenty of choices. The front desk staff was very helpful. The location was good for visiting some of the tourist sites and was an easy walk or drive to several restaurants. This hotel was a good choice for us.

In spite of the horrendous weather that was going on outside, I felt as safe and comfortable as I would have at home. Then, in the quiet of the morning, I was able to go upstairs and enjoy a real, hot, relaxed breakfast and make a new friend.

My husband and I are senior trike riders. We stayed at the Best Western Thunder Bay Crossroads on 6/14 & 6/15. From the moment we arrived the front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. We asked for a 1st floor room, which has a door from the lobby and a door in your room, to the parking lot. We loved being able to haul our luggage through the back door to our room. Our room was in the back and was very quiet. It was clean and the cleaning staff were friendly also. The continental breakfast was exceptional. This motel is centrally located and near all the attractions that you would want to visit. We will definitely stay at this hotel again in the future!

I basically slept here and it is close to the airport. There are a few places just as close but I didn't have my secretary investigate for prices and proximity this time but she will next time. Very expensive bed for 6 or even 20 hours as anyone's case may be. Clean and mostly modern. It's a Best Western, not thee Best Western. I encourage you to shop around if you want a typical place to stay for a reasonable price.

I stayed at the Best Western Crossroads as I was passing through Thunder Bay. Having been to several other Best Western Plus, this hotel is due for a renovation. It was very clean however but the building was tired looking. The bed was comfortable and there was minimal road noise (second floor facing road) The continental breakfast had many options and there was constantly an attendant filling stations and wiping down the area. Overall the free wifi and free parking were appreciated but at the end of the day I would prefer to stay in a newer hotel. The staff were friendly and made me feel welcome.

Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The bed was very firm. The breakfast wasn't great, eggs were cold and the toaster burnt the toast black, the woman who was working was nowhere to be found and the dials on the toaster said not to adjust. Also we were at breakfast a few minutes before they opened ( 3 ) and when she can to unlock the door I asked if we could come in and sit down, I am disabled and standing is difficult, she said " I have to check the coffee" and promptly shut the door. I was only asking for a chair not coffee.

This is our hotel of choice when in Thunder Bay. Excellent location. The hotel is quiet, clean, excellent wifi, comfortable beds and excellent staff. Walking distance to restaurants, grocery stores & liquor store.

Really nice place and the staff were great , very friendly and helpful. We had a main floor room with an outside door so loading and unloading the car was easy. The morning hot breakfast had a lot of choices. Short drive to a number of restaurants

We were welcomed by Lisa who was very polite and professional, she's a keeper. Quick and easy check in. Rooms are very accommodating, clean and comfortable. Housekeeping do a wonderful job. When checking in we we're also given a complimentary bottled of water which is a great idea thank you for that. All in all i highly recommend this hotel. Great staff and very clean. Oh and the free hot breakfast is an added bonus.

The location is great, on Arthur St. right by highway 61, so you can get anywhere you need to quickly. The rooms are very quiet despite the traffic outside and the beds are really comfortable so I had a great sleep. Perfect way to end or start your day!

On April 16 2016 after having problems at another hotel we cancelled our second night and went to Crossroads. We were greeted by a very courteous employee named Johnathan who checked us in. In the morning we had a nice breakfast and the woman (sorry for not getting your name) was so nice that she offered my wife fruit and to refill our thermos for our ride home. You may not have a pool but you have class. Well Done

If you are looking for a hotel in Thunder Bay the Best Western Crossroads is a great place to stay. It's super clean, conveniently located and has a free breakfast. But the key strength of this hotel is the friendly, helpful, awesome staff. They really go out of their way to make sure your stay

I stay here regularly for business and I love this hotel. Close to everything and the staff all know me so check-in/check-out is so fast - they even send me a Christmas card! Rooms are always clean and comfortable and the breakfast is delicious. The coffee in the lobby is the best and I always have a couple cups before I leave in the morning.

First time I stayed at this hotel on the main road side, traffic and airplanes most of the night. I will request a back room for future stays. Otherwise I like the convenient location of this hotel. Clean rooms and comfy beds.

The rooms at BW Crossroads are clean and spacious. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. I've stayed 3 times for work and the beds are very comfortable, one of the best nights sleep I've gotten away from home. The Continental breakfast is also very good.

The hotel is very convenient to the airport, it is great having the free breakfast. Only downfall is there is no airport parking there. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is a great location for visiting Thunder Bay.

This facility is an excellent place to stay in Thunder Bay! We found the staff courteous, the facility clean and comfortable and the rates reasonable. The Free breakfast was very good, offering Waffles, Bacon, Sausages,eggs, oatmeal, cold cereals as well as fruit juice, coffee, tea and milk. The building is quiet and there are a number of places to dine nearby.

Staff were exceptional, my focus being on the cleaning ladies. They made us feel comfortable and the rooms were very clean. The cleaning staff always made time for us and made us feel like number 1. The breakfast was the most complete and fresh, bar none. If you want a comfortable stay and great service then The Best Western Crossroads Thunderbay is the choice for you.

Have stayed here many times for both business and pleasure. Have never been disappointed. Staff are very accommodating and hotel is located near the airport and very close to restaurants and shopping.

I REALLY like this hotel in Thunder Bay. It is not one of the newer ones, but it's certainly one of the better ones for business travel. I always stay on the business floor when I am here. It is always quiet, which is essential when spending a great deal of work nights in a hotel. Sleep is important! I am always greeted by friendly staff at the front desk. The gym is pretty basic, but has what I need. Breakfast is always very good and fast (the toaster is crazy fast). The breakfast room is alway kept clean and stocked up. They serve a hot breakfast (usually some kind of eggs as well as a breakfast meat) hot or cold cereal, a variety of breads, waffles, juices, etc. And flavoured coffee cream which I really appreciate. Fridge, microwave coffee maker. Restaurants and convenience stores within walking distance. Also a nice running trail right beside the hotel along the river. I have been staying there at least once per month for the last 6 months or so, and will be there again this week. Home away from home these days.

I only stayed for one night, and was greeted by this gentleman working in the front desk , I don't recall his name but he was really friendly and told me he was originally from Ottawa. He made me feel like part of the family and welcome me to Ontario. He also gave me an upgrade to a king suite . Beds were comfortable and everything was cleaned, which was awesome. Definitely I would stay there again

We stay at this Best Western quite often when coming to Thunder Bay Area. We always feel welcome and the staff is caring and friendly. Everyone goes out of their way to may our stay enjoyable. The Breakfast is outstanding and Karen is a joy to talk to. The rooms are very well kept, clean, and tidy. We recommend this Hotel to all of our family and friends.

I have stayed here numerous times over, the last three years and it is my favourite place in Thunder Bay to stay due to the quietness, location and service. Recently, we went to California and stayed here both the night we left and the night we returned. We asked if we could leave our vehicle for the 10 days and it was permitted free of charge and with no problem. I thought this was a great plan but we then learned that if you stay here, both going to and coming from the airport by taxi was also paid for by the hotel. This operation just keeps growing in my esteem. Always a great welcome, a good breakfast and a quiet nights sleep in comfortable beds.

The staff are amazing; and you will get nothing but first class service. I was there for 3 days on business and they will do nothing but take care of your needs. It's a reasonable budget. Coffee machine (free) on the main floor, the internet was super fast (I run an ad agency and can attest it was trustworthy and fast). The breakfast was more than expected. Great to start your day and was included. My only issue was that I was in room 203 and it was right under the kitchen on the 3rd floor. Not the staff fault, but at 4:30am I could hear them preparing the day. Moving around upstairs doing their cleaning getting breakfast ready for 6am. By the second day I was good and managed to sleep through it. I would stay there again for sure.

This is my favourite place to stay in Thunder Bay. It's close to the airport, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff is always pleasant, and the included breakfast is very much appreciated. They do not have an airport shuttle, but will pay for your cab if you ask at the desk.

Really nice room, decent continental breakfast. Could use a few more non processed options. Staff is exceptionally friendly, even provided a taxi chit to airport! Really go out of their way for you. Would definitely stay here again. Great location close to airport.

After a 9 hour drive, I was really looking forward to a much needed night's sleep. This was not to be, as the mattress was as hard as a rock and the pillows were the cheapest quality I have seen in a long time. Tossed and turned half the night. Would not stay there again.

As usual, we enjoyed our stay at our home away from home. Close to many restaurants, the Airport and good access to the rest of the city. They have kept up with renovations and serve and excellent complimentary breakfast. Price is very good and the quality is perfect.

This hotel is rather old but they have done some good updating and do a good job of keeping it well kept and clean. The exercise room is outdated but has everything needed. There is also a decent running trail just down the road. Lots of fast food and grocery store near by. Rooms have a fridge and microwave. The daily continental breakfast is pretty good with eggs, meat, cereals, muffins etc. There is also 2 waffle makers. Over all I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel and I would absolutely stay there again on my next trip to Thunder Bay.

Very good accommodations, clean, comfortable room but the bed was a little too hard for my liking. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good overall except the sausage, which was like not very tasty, however the bacon days made up for it.

A very nice place to stay. Very comfortable and close to the airport. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. They even helped me with a minor problem that I was unaware of with my booking. Will definitely stay again when in town.

Booked in a rush and staff were really helpful. NIce walking path right behind hotel that follows the river, through park, golf course, college grounds. Convenient to highway yet quiet. Breakfast is included and there is a fitness room. Close to new hotel and very comfortable mattresses.

It is good and located in good location and easy approach to shopping malls. close to Airport. service is good and generally i like to stay as long as rooms are available. Very Vey nice horel Thanks and regards

Hotel was excellent and staff were awesome and very friendly. The breakfast was over the moon compared to what we had at other hotels along the way. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is travelling to or through Thunder Bay.

I stay in Thunder Bay at least three times a month and I have to say I really enjoy staying at the bests western crossroads. The front desk clerk is amazing nice and quick. There is one particular clerk Brandon I believe that even remembers my name now and takes the time to greet me while starting working my booking right away. Having a ground floor is always preferred because it is very nice to pull up and park right outside your door. The only thing I must say is that the parking lot can be a little crammed at times because it is so small. The breakfast is amazing and you can even make your own waffles with strawberry or blueberry toppings. The little desk area in the room is nice to set up a work space if you are there on business and the gym is smaller but has everything you need and never seems to be busy. The hotel is quiet you never hear noise from other rooms. Great stay, although I randomly try other hotels just to mix things up I keep coming back to this hotel. You can get adjoining rooms if needed as well. They also have pet friendly room which I have used in the past and they don't even smell Like rooms that have had pets in them!!!!! A rare find in deed!!!

Called hours ahead for a ground floor room. When we arrived front desk tried to give us a second floor room.Parking was horrible and the air conditioner rattled very loudly in room. We were booked for two nights needs upgrades to rooms and some customer service education. We usually always stay at Best Western if one is available but we're disappointed with this one.

This was a quick overnight stay when driving cross country to Alberta. Check in, sleep, breakfast and get going again. Painless check in and out, standard free breakfast and comfortable bed for the night. Checked all the boxes.

Had a great stay at this hotel, it's perfect for people flying. The hotel offers a great complimentary breakfast and a free taxi to the airport. Staff was friendly and helpful. Not a hotel for vacationing but perfect for frequent flyers!

Stayed here last night on my way across Canada and it was a nice stop. Breakfast was great. Self serve but enjoyed it. Very clean and quiet hotel. Would stay here again! The staff were great. Location is in a central area for being close to restaurants and other amenities

This is a budget minded hotel and that exactly what you get. The rooms are a little dated and the breakfast is ok but again it isn't overly expensive. We had a room at the end of the hallway - very noisy with the door slamming at all hours. Too bad if you planned to sleep in, you wouldn't! The breakfast room was on the top floor and it was bright and airy but it can get crowded as there is limited seating. The food was ok with a decent selection. Now, the Wi-Fi was terrible - could not get a good enough signal to use my VPN secured access for work. For a business traveller this is extremely important and I was told that they had just upgraded their system. I can't imagine what it was like before the upgrade. I will not stay here again when in town on business.
