    « Wonderful sray »

Stayed here for two nights for business and was very impressed. Rooms were very spacious, clean and modern. Bathrooms quite large and clean as well. Great selection of toiletries so if you forget cream or mouthwash you're ok! Everything was cleaned perfectly when I returned to my room for the second night. Great onsite restaurant with lovely bar. Ample parking and location is near many things including restaurants and a Walmart nearby! Great, friendly staff regardless if it's 7am or 10pm!

« best place to stay! »

this is a fantastic hotel and a great place to stay. the staff are great to deal with and if you have an issue are quick to resolve it. the restaurant is very good and their daily soups are excellent!

« Not the Best Western for our Weekend Away »

Over run with Kids so not much fun, not the Hotels fault of course but the PARENTS who let their young kids run the hall, call rooms, bang on doors, and take over hot tub and pool, next time will ask to be put on a floor without groups. Nice room, coffee in lobby nice, would recommend as it is close to downtown, just not happy after calling desk at midnight and asking someone to come up and tell the parents of the wild kids who were now partying with doors open to please be quieter and no one came...

« Perfect for Stratford Festival »

We liked staying here. Easy check in. Rooms were very spacious modern and clean. Enjoyed the close proximity to the Festival theater. Reasonable cist for what you get. We would stsy h3re again and recommend this property.

« Great place to stay »

Really nice hotel. Well situated close to downtown. The staff were great and very friendly. The room was comfortable and very clean. Stopped for a drink in the bar, fast and friendly service. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

« Annual family holiday brunch »

My family and I come here every year for a holiday brunch. It's a good spot to meet when everyone is coming from different places. Each year we rent out a private room and we enjoy their Sunday brunch. Brunch includes fruits, salad, fresh waffles, pancakes, an omelette station, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, pigs tail. They also have a roast beef station with all the fixings and a dessert table. We are satisfied with the food and service each year.

    « Lovely Business Stay »

Needed a room for the night unexpectedly and how fortunate this hotel was recommended to me. The front desk staff were polite and very obliging, providing directions and arranging for a comfortable room. Enjoyed a tasty dinner in the hotel restaurant, complete with hot homemade soup and the daily special, all were nicely presented and well prepared. Enjoyed the rice pudding for dessert and it was delicious. Breakfast was quick and delicious, and an excellent way to start a busy morning. Would return again if in the area, and have recommended to colleagues.

    « Very nice hotel »

We were attending a wedding Saturday and had requested a early check in if possible which they had ready when we arrived. The rooms are very nice and clean. Receptionist was helpful with check in and check out. We had breakfast there on Sunday morning service was excellent along with the breakfast. I would highly recommend this hotel.

    « Quick Retreat »

Lovely hotel, not fancy but well maintained and extremely comfortable. All the appointments are well done and feels like a much more expensive hotel. The location is a 5 minute walk from the Festival Theatre, left our car parked at the hotel and walked, so no hassle finding a parking spot. We will return next year.

    « disappointing »

I have stayed here before, and always had a good experience, however this time was different. It did not look as if the room had been cleaned properly. Around the sink had not been wiped, and I doubt if the sheets were changed as I found an earring in the bed. Someone needs to double check that the basics are being taken care of at this level of hotel.

    3
    « Clean comfortable hotel »

Typical chain hotel, clean and well maintained, no surprises. Great location if you are in Stratford for the festival. Within walking distance to the Festival Theatre. One disappointment, sat at the bar, one server walked in, got drinks and left, said nothing to me.....

    4
« Good location for Shakespere Festival »

We were headed for two presentation at Stratford's end of season plays when we found this location. Easy to find with an on property restaurant which was great after a long day's journey and a swimming right across from the elevator. Clean and comfortable rooms. No complimentary breakfast but delicious options. Parking was a bit of an issue as there was a Friday night local women's celebration in competition for space. Walking distance through a park to the Festival Theater was a plus.

« Mostly very good value »

Great location, clean updated facilities, congenial, helpful staff, free parking, but disappointed that there is no breakfast included for $212.00 one-night charge as at other Best Western locations. Frustrated I was not able to use Air Miles points (couldn't wait on the phone for 2 days awaiting Air Miles service) but otherwise a very good stay.

    « Great hotel! »

Very nice and reasonable hotel. Staff friendly and always looking to help. Breakfast waitstaff especially cheerful. close to the downtown and all areas of interest in Stratford.. In house restaurant is ok too...

    « Anniversary Weekend »

This is the third time we have stayed at this hotel. It is newly renovated and just lovely. The food in the dining room is excellent and the Sunday brunch is one of the best! We've already booked for next year!

    « Still a Great Hotel »

Stayed here prior to it becoming a Best Western. So glad to see it hasn't changed. Everything - rooms, staff, reasonably-priced breakfast, pool - are still wonderful. As there were three of us, we upgraded to a suite which was provided more room and privacy, well worth the extra $30 (we were only staying one night). It is a bit of a walk to town, but only a few minutes stroll to the Festival theatre, where we were seeing play. Will definitely stay again.

    « Absolutely Fabulous Suite »

My husband and I stayed for a special three day break in Stratford, and we were completely wowed by our newly updated king suite and the general location of The Arden Park Hotel. The living room, bathroom and bedroom were very nicely decorated and modern. The coffee machine, fridge and microwave were very useful. Best feature? The hotel is dog friendly which is very refreshing in this day and age. Our suite was on the second floor next to the back stairs which led to the parking lot. This was very useful for taking our dog for his bathroom break, and not having to go in the elevator and through the front reception. We are very much looking forward to visiting again soon. Bravo!

    « Family get together »

Excellent room with king bed and lots of pillows. Very comfortable and clean. Bathroom has deep tub and rainfall shower head which felt great after a long days work. Nice sitting area with sofa and table and chairs Friendly check in I would highly recommend a stay here

    « Beautifully updated rooms »

We booked last minute to make a short getaway out of plans for an afternoon show on Saturday. This hotel did nothing but impress us. The lobby, pool area, restaurant and hallways are all modern and clean. The room- we booked the King suite - was spacious and recently updated. The pull out couch - brand new - was perfectly sized for our nine and eleven year old to sleep together. The bathroom is huge! Jet tub and double granite sinks, heat lamp, and upscale decor bring it together. We really enjoyed the bed as well-very comfortable mattress. The thermostat works well and the air conditioner is rather quiet, not like some other places we have stayed! Only thing I might suggest for improvement is to have the option to request firm pillows, as we found the pillows a bit soft. Great experience overall.

    « excellent stay »

The Arden Park Hotel is a very comfortable hotel with very nice staff. It has everything you could want at an affordable price. It is within walking distance of the Festival Theatre and easy driving distance of the other theatres. It is also close to the park at the river. It was a very nice stay.

    4
    « Very Good Choice »

I found The Arden Park Hotel to be very comfortable. My guest room was a quiet room. The hotel has very professional staff in reception and the restaurant. The menu was very good at the restaurant and lounge.

    5
    « Very good experience »

I've stayed here on several occasions and it's always been a great experience. Hotel is modern, clean and quiet. Food in the restaurant is exceptional. Location is great with a walk downtown and to the theaters doable if you like to trek.

    5
    « Excellent »

We have been coming to this hotel for a conference in May for about 5 years now. The rooms have always been clean, and well kept. The elevators are slow for the amount of people in the conference, but patience is a virtue. The conference rooms are large enough for our needs. The restaurant has good food and service and is a good value for your money.

    5
    « Perfect »

We love it here. So clean and friendly. Plus pool and hot tub is fun. The room was very well appointed and maintained so well. By cheerful staff. Desk staff was always cheerful. Has become our "go to" place.

    5
    « Spacious clean rooms »

Clean rooms, spacious upgraded bathrooms and friendly service. What more is there to ask for? We enjoyed our stay and we will be back. Ideal location to the Festival theater. Definitely within walking distance.

    4
« Great Location - very large suites »

Desk was very helpful, the suites were large, clean, well-appointed, and very reasonable. Quiet and very close to the Festival Theatre. A little ways from downtown so we drove and parked there. We will definitely stay here again!

    5
    « Enjoyable »

Overall the experience was excellent as always! Very clean atmosphere, rooms are fantastic. Restaurant is 90% excellent food. Lounge & Bar is GREAT! Stratford has always captured a huge part of my heart due to the Hotel and the ongoing Theatres.

    4
« Nicely renovated and very comfortable »

This hotel has been purchased by the Best Western Plus chain and has been recently renovated. The rooms are comfortable, the location is great for walking to the theatre (10 minute walk at most) and the staff is very friendly. They have a large restaurant on site and a bar area. You can eat in the bar area if the dining room is full.

    5
    « Good value »

Efficient desk, clean room, quiet, close to the Festival Theater. I usually stay in a B&B or an inn when traveling to Stratford, but I enjoyed this stay. Close (15-20 minute walk) to downtown. Didn't eat there, but the restaurant had a decent crowd.

« Very clean, newly renovated »

We normally stay at B & B's when visiting Stratford, but this time decided to try a hotel. The hotel is walking distance (10 minutes) from the Festival Theatre. We were pleasantly surprised....our room was spacious and meticulously clean. Even the television remote control was sanitized and in a sanitized bag !!! Impressive! The bed/pillows were extremely comfortable and the towels were new and fluffy!!! The room was equipped with a bar fridge and a Keurig coffee maker! There was complimentary coffee available in the lobby, as well. We had breakfast in the hotel coffee shop, and the service and food was very good!

    5
« Fantastic staff and only a 5 min walk to the Festival Theater »

My husband and I went to Stratford to see MacBeth and were looking for a clean, well maintained hotel that was within walking distance of the theatre. This hotel was one of the closet ones, so we took a chance and were not disappointed with our choice. We had a king suite. The room was clean, well lit, and very spacious. There was a small bistro table for two, a desk, a sitting area with a large sofabed, tv & 3 chairs with foot rests, a large counter with a full length mirror, a mini fridge, a microwave and a Keurig machine, a bathroom with a separate shower and jacuzzi tub, and the separate bedroom with a dresser, night tables, tv and a bench. Although the hotel was fully booked, our room was pretty quiet. The main dining room was full, so we ate dinner in the lounge. They were short staffed as they had an unexpected bus tour, but they pulled together to take care of everyone. Shout out to Curtis, who not only maned the bar, but served all the lounge tables. Despite the craziness he was professional, polite, and quite funny. So much so that we stopped back in for an after theatre coffee & slice of pie before heading to our room. Just as with dinner, Curtis was in tune with everyone. A couple at the bar was asking about the wineries in the area and Curtis had great insights and ideas. They were so good, the influenced us to stay in the area an extra day to check them out! If you are going to Stratford and need a clean, welcoming place to stay that's reasonably priced and filled with friendly staff, then this is the place to stay! I know I will be back for sure!

    « Very comfortable. »

We were travelling with our dog and chose to stay here as the hotel is pet friendly. This is a clean, comfortable, well appointed hotel. Our room was very spacious.. nicely furnished with comfortable beds and pillows and nice bed linen. There was a fridge but no microwave. The bathroom was also a good size... immaculately clean and with modern fixtures. Good shower. The staff were very pleasant and welcoming. The hotel is within walking distance to downtown area and the Festival theatre. There are also some restaurants and shops close by. The hotel does not have rooms on the ground floor so for those travelling with pets it means staying on upper levels and having to take elevator or stairs to take pet in and out. There is ample grassy space around the hotel for dogs. There is a surcharge for pets. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

    « Beware the Reuben »

We had lunch which was marred by the worst Reuben sandwich I have ever tasted...soggy soft pretzel bun, couldn't taste the sauerkraut. A far cry from Switzer's classic. On the other hand, the room was great and the restaurant service was good.

« Best hotel in Stratford! »

If you're going to stay overnight or for a few days in Stratford, this is definitely the hotel to choose. All of the staff are very polite and make sure you have what you need. Our room was amazing. It had a fireplace and deep soaking tub. The hotel is very beautifully decorated. We are definitely staying here every time we come. It's also close to many of the theatres, restaurants, and some shopping.

« Amazing Stay in Stratford »

This was my first ever trip to Stratford and we were only booked in for one night. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by super friendly Danielle at the front desk who also happened to be the one that took my reservation the week prior and remembered me right away. The room we had was very modern and clean. At first glance from the outside, the hotel doesn't look like much but it's a different story inside. The room was large and spacious and the beds were so amazing and comfortable. We slept like babies! We also had an opportunity to have dinner at the hotels restaurant which was very busy with pre-theatre diners. There wasn't an empty table in the whole place. The food was surprisingly good although our server could have been a but friendlier. All in all, I really loved this hotel and definitely plan to go back again. It's perfectly located just minutes from the Festival Theatre and the shops/restaurants downtown. The staff were friendly and the rooms were very nice and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone planning on visiting Stratford.

    « only choice »

When we stay in Stratford we have always stayed at the Arden. Now that it is a Best Western it still doesn't disappoint. The location is great. If it hadn't rained we would have parked the car and walked everywhere until we checked out. It's our only choice.

    5
« why we choose BW Stratford for the festival »

Location is important for the festival but when you combine it with the caring staff at BW Stratford you have to enjoy the experience. We have stayed with BW the past two years and look forward to more visits to Stratford.

    5
    « Fantastic Hotel! »

We stayed for a single night at the Arden Park and just wish we could have stayed longer just to enjoy the hotel and surrounding area. ALL of the staff here are warm and friendly, like they are truly enjoying their job! The hotel is beautiful, very modern and the room itself was very very clean with more than a few steps above furnishings, decor and amenities. We didn't have dinner at the hotel but did hear that the food was very good. We had breakfast though and it was delicious, very well done AND reasonably priced. The pool area looked very nice, again clean and crystal clear water. Just a lovely 6 or 7 minute walk to the Festival Theatre this one is at the top our list for future visits!

    4
    « Great Stay! »

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. It was close enough to downtown to make for a short drive to shopping and restaurants, but also extremely close to the Festival Theatre which made for an easy walk to and from.

« Nice well located hotel »

The staff was friendly. The room was large and spotless. Hotel is quiet and conveniently located near the Festival Theater, easy walking distance. Had breakfast there and enough in their breakfast bar to have a filling meal. Didn't have time for the pool, but looked nice.

    5
« Perfect for the Festival Theater »

This Best Western is comfortable and convenient to the Festival Theater. One can walk to the theater and also enjoy the gift shop and beautiful gardens on the Shakespeare Festival grounds. The restaurant serves a variety of tasty foods and the bar is a fine spot for drinks pre- or post-show. There is a pool and a fitness room. We booked a suite which we loved. This is a fine hotel for enjoying a visit to the Shakespeare Festival in Stratford.

    5
    « Great Suite! »

We have stayed here several years when attending the Stratford Festival and the hotel is the best it has ever been. The extension of checkout to cover some car problems was appreciated. We will be back again next year.

« The Arden Hotel, Stratford, Ontario »

Wonderful hotel, delicious food, great prices. Our trip to the Stratford Festival to see three plays was lovely due in large part tto the Arden Hotel. We will be back and would definitely recommend this hotel in Stratford.

    4
    « Great location. »

An easy walk to the Festival Theatre but you need transportation to go to downtown area. Rooms are large and clean, ample parking and a nice indoor pool. Had dinner in the restaurant and the food and service was very good.

    4
    « Stratford Festival »

Stayed one night in Stratford to see a matinee and an evening theater performance. Hotel is within 1-2 Km of the theaters and the downtown area. Rooms were very large, parking is very accessible. Restaurant and lounge in the hotel

    5
    « Close to Festival »

Great place to use as a base for touring the area and enjoying plays at the four theaters. Close enough to the Festival to walk. Nice restaurant with average prices. Great service at check-in. Safe area to walk around. Pool is an extra amenity. Large rooms. Especially love the king room with the sofa. Very comfortable for resting and relaxing. Will return the next time we come to the theater.

    4
« Our stay in Stratford »

The hotel was great as was staff! Very helpful and accommodating! The bartender/ waiter at the hotel ,after seeing a performance of "As You Like It", made a great evening even better! We will definitely stay there again! Already booked for October!!

    4
    « Nice Place »

Stayed one night for a wedding. Hotel is clean and spacious and has tons of parking. You are a five minute walk to the Festival Theatre and Avon River. We did have to change rooms as our first room overlooked the air conditioner and we did not like that. They changed our room no problem. Rooms were spacious, the bed was very comfortable and had a mini fridge. Everything was clean as well. We did not eat there but ate breakfast next door at Romeo's which was fantastic but prices in the restaurant looked reasonable. Walking to downtown will take about 10-15 minutes but it is on the same street so it's easy. Overall, this was a nice place to be.

    5
« Nice place to stay »

This was a conveniently located, well appointed place to stay while visiting Stratford for a visit to the Theatre. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The pool was warm and the hot tub was really hot :) The bed was very comfortable, and while we stayed in a suit, the whole hotel seemed very nice.

  • 5
    « Excellent stay »

Very nice spacious rooms. Nice luxuries in bathroom like soaker tubs, rainfall shower, heat lamp to dry off under. Staff were very extremely friendly, and helpful. Great restaurant and lounge! Close to everything in town!

    4
« Shakespeare Festival in Stratford »

The Arden Park is located very close to the Shakespeare Festival Theater and the park along the river. Parking is free and you can walk to the theater. We found the breakfast reasonably priced for a hotel.

    5
« Full service and close to the theatre »

Spacious room, all amenities, even an indoor pool you can swim in. Close to a number of restaurants. Seven minutes walk to the festival theatre. Bike right out of the parking lot to the river trail. An excellent stay.

    4
« great value for king suite »

We stayed here 16 years ago and we thought it was nice then. It is a much bigger place now. The pool has not changed but it was and still is a good hotel pool. The restaurant was OK with wonderful ravioli but terrible calamari. Our room was exceptional for the price. It was a one bedroom suite with king size bed and a large sitting room plus kitchenette. The bathroom was massive. Unfortunately, there was some problem with water leakage onto the floor around the toilet. They "fixed" it once but it was back on the next day. However, after the second fix, the floor stayed dry. The staff were very helpful and responsive to our concerns about the bathroom and we did get a follow-up call after the second fix to make sure that all had been satisfactorily dealt with. We like to walk and this is a great location to walk to the Festival theatre in about 10 minutes. The Avon theatre downtown is a delightful 30 minute walk along the water. Good location. Great room. Good service.

    5
    « Convenience and Elelgance »

The BW Arden Park is conveniently located within a 5 minute walk from the Festival Theatre and the river. On a nice day the downtown and the other theatres are well within walking distance. The hotel is very modern and quite spacious. It is the pleasant and caring staff which sets this hotel apart.

    5
« Best place to stay for the Stratford Festival! »

The Arden Park Best Western has a super location; friendly, helpful staff; and is a nice, clean hotel. It's very convenient to the Festival Theatre and walking distance from the other venues. The breakfast is mediocre, but the hotel itself is great.

    3
« Could be much better »

Service was very good. Room was nice and big. Bedsheets were ripped in two places, a small one under a pillow and another small one on the cover. Coffee was weak and tea was just Red Rose. Bathroom was clean, however the shower head was full of deposit. Wifi was ok, though sometimes it took some time before connecting. Location is good and we walked to all theatres, cafes and restaurants. It could be so much better with so little effort. Maybe they could learn from other chain hotels.

    5
« Best Place to Stay in Stratford »

Very Large rooms in a full service hotel. Service was very good. Indoor pool, lots of parking, and a restaurant. By far these are the nicest accommodations in Stratford. Close to downtown, and some people even walk to the Festival Theatre.

    4
« Nice hotel and location »

This is a very nice hotel with more room and modern features when coming to Stratford. The location is very close to the the Festival Theatre which is only a 10 to 15 minute walk from the hotel So if all of your plays are at Festival then this is a good location. It is also away from downtown area but close enough to walk in 25 minutes. Heading East there is the commerce part of town which offers more chain style restaurants that many people don't even venture toward so you can save a few bucks and avoid long waits between plays.

    5
    « Very pleasant experience »

Enjoyed the stellar service, ease of check in, cleanliness of suite, pleasant interactions with staff, loved the coffee and real cream available in lobby and the central location to downtown Stratford.

  • 5
    « Stratford Theatre Experience »

Hotel is excellently situated for the Stratford Festival Theatre, and it is quiet, clean, comfortable. No problems whatever. We were there to go to six play performances in three days, so the amenities of the hotel (pool, dining room) weren't used.

    4
    « Nice spacious rooms »

This hotel doesn't look like much from the outside but inside it is nicely decorated with good amenities. The king room was very spacious and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was clean and very large with a deep soaker tub. It was a quick 10 minute walk to the Stratford Festival Theatre. The breakfast in the on site restaurant was good but you may also want to try the cafe next door for great food and wider menu options.

    5
« A great place to stay in Stratford »

We were very satisfied with our stay at the Arden Park a hotel we moved to after staying at some lesser places in the past years. The room was clean and well-appointed and the bathroom spacious and clean with plenty of towels and a large vanity area. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner in the restaurant and were pleased with our choices. Servings were plentiful and tasty and the wait-staff friendly and helpful. It was great to have just a short walk to the Festival Theatre. The overall ambiance at the Arden Park helped to make this a very successful Stratford outing. We will definitely return.

    4
« Great place to stay but stay away from the restaurant for dinner »

Hotel was great and close to downtown Stratford and Festival Theatre. Check in/Check out staff very friendly and helpful. We had an unappetizing dinner at the hotel restaurant and the server was rude and accused us of bringing flies in with us and told us we should take them away with us when we leave. We got limp wet old lettuce and when we mentioned this to the server, she rolled her eyes and took the uneaten salad away without an apology or offer to replace the salad. The room was quiet and clean and the beds were very comfortable. Bathroom was spacious. Great to have a bar fridge with a freezer included with the room and a beverage machine in the lobby for free hot drinks.

    5
« The Best in Stratford »

The Arden Park is the best hotel in Stratford. You are treated like an honored guest in their home. The staff are on their toes, well trained, friendly and knowledgeable. We already have reservations for next August, our 17th year of staying in the Hotel. We look forward with pleasure our next visit, and relish all of our past visits.

    4
    « Really, a cut above »

A cut above, from the front desk to our room to the dining room. Our first visit to Stratford began with free parking followed by a very helpful front desk; these people know their town and will eagerly share detailed info on dining, theater, etc. Our room was all we hoped it would be... spacious and clean, well appointed, quiet. No free breakfast here but really, who cares? The dining room had a very good - and - very reasonably priced breakfast menu but the most pleasant surprise was the All Star duo of servers, Deb & Nora. These ladies were THE friendliest, most efficient breakfast team...superb! The hotel is an easy, short walk to the Festival Theater and is for us, a walkable (but not short) distance to the city center where most shops & restaurants are, however, we chose to drive to downtown because of a bum knee; it's just a few minutes and we had no trouble finding parking. No hesitation.. we'd stay here again!

    5
« Great Location for Festival Theatre »

Apparently this hotel bought into the Best Western chain and had a huge renovation which was finished about 18 months ago. Previously we would have passed on staying here (old and horrible staff), but took a chance and were very pleasantly surprised. We had to wait a while before someone checked us in, but eventually we were given keys to a huge, excellent room with 2 queen beds and a large updated bathroom with good toiletries. Very comfy bed and pillows - all very clean, so thanks Housekeeping. Had dinner in the Lounge/bar area. Service was good, but being Sunday night there was no menu, just the choice of a buffet (very good) plus fish or chicken. Unfortunately it wasn't explained that we could have had either the buffet or either the fish/chicken. So we ended up with both salad bar and a full plate of fish and vegetables. Lots of food, but it was all very good and for an excellent price. We had breakfast in the dining room (good choices) and our server was delightful; nothing was too much trouble. On check-out the front desk clerk was very pleasant, professional and chatty. Even said she hoped to see us back again. Didn't get her name, but you guys need more like that woman as she made us feel appreciated! All in all, a great stay.

« Great option for Stratford »

I have not stayed in a Best Western since I was a child. What a pleasant surprise! The hotel was well-appointed, clean and modern. The beds were very comfortable, and the showers had good pressure. The location was a bit beyond the Festival theater, but still very walkable. Planning on switching my fall accommodations here after this experience.

    « Another exceptional stay »

Another exceptional experience at a Best Western property! From the moment you check in with reception to the final drop-off of keys at the end of your stay, it's a pleasant experience. We've stayed at many other first-class hotels, but they don't compare with the overall experience, and exceptional value, we always have at Best Western

    « Nice surprise »

I recently spent the night here with my two adult sisters. We had a queen suite with two double beds,tv and desk in the bedroom, and a double sofa bed, sofa and second tv in the sitting room. There was a coffee maker, sink and small frig. The decor was fresh and modern looking. The bathroom had a jetted tub and a walk in shower, which was perfect for one of my sisters with limited mobility. I was quite please with the accommodations.

The Arden Park Hotel is a short walk to the Festival Theatre. Our room was lovely. The hotel has a pool and fitness facility. Staff was very helpful. The meals served in the restaurant were reasonably priced.

We stay here every year when we visit Stratford. The rooms are great, the available high-speed internet works perfectly, and we enjoy the pool and restaurant. All members of staff are always pleasant and helpful.

Excellent hotel, excellent room, parking was convenient, close to many shops and restaurants. Always stay here if I can. Upgraded rooms and a nice pool and hottub. even with a big wedding on site, the hotel was quiet and uncrowded.

« The Arden Park is Back!...and it Looks and Feels Great! »

The last time I stayed here, the hotel was dated and looked worn. Well......NOT ANYMORE! The hotel has been renovated and it looks awesome. The front desk staff were helpful and courteous (no problems on check-in or check-out). The room was nicely appointed, with an excellent temperature. The Keurig was a nice touch, with complimentary coffee and hot chocolate (also in the main lobby). The bathroom was spacious and nicely tiled. It looked fresh and inviting. The bed was very, very comfortable. Best night sleep in a long time, in a hotel! My daughter noted that the remote had been sanitized (much appreciated!) Congratulations, Arden Park! I love the re-do and I know I will return in the near future. Well done!

« A good choice close to the Festival Theatre »

We first stayed at the Arden Park a couple of decades ago when it first opened. We later opted for hotels closer to the center of town but returned to the Arden Park this year because my wife has had some mobility issues so avoiding stairs and having a restaurant on site for breakfast were important. That said, our room was spacious and the breakfasts were good quality. The hotel is also close to the Festival Theatre, though a little far from the other performance spaces

    « All-Round Excellent »

The perfect choice for anyone visiting the Stratford Shakespeare Festival, this hotel has all one needs for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Restaurant service is excellent; rooms are nicely appointed; theatres and shopping a short walk away.

« Great Stay at the Best Western Plus Arden Park »

We enjoyed a one night stay here. The hotel has been renovated since our last visit and looks great. Our room was lovely, roomy and the bed was super comfortable. A Keurig machine in the room was a wonderful addition. Staff were warm, friendly and kind. Quick and easy check-in and check-out. Will return again for sure as it is so close to the Festival Theatre.

    « A Special Place »

Initially, I was disappointed that we had left our reservation requests too late to book a recommended Inn. However, we were very happy with the Best Western Plus The Arden Park Hotel. Right from the welcoming by the young lady at the reception desk, everything was perfect - our clean, spacious room and bathroom, the beautiful pool which we swam in every morning, and the healthy choices on their menu in the restaurant. Although breakfast is not included in the room rate, the menu was reasonably priced. We had requested a quiet room, and that was what we got. The walking distances to all the theatres and shops were no more than twenty minutes. We have stayed in many Best Western Plus accommodations all over Canada, and have been completely satisfied. We will be back!

    5
    « Top notch! »

We've stayed at other hotels in the area but this is by far the best one for the value. Brand new rooms, excellent staff (including house keeping) within walking distance of theaters. Its a bit pricey even for high season but definitely worth it.

    « STRATFORD'S BEST KEPT SECRET »

The Sunday prime rib dinner is superb and comes with salad bar, desert bar and tea/coffee for a reasonable price. The also have a chicken and fish dinner as well. But the prime rib was to die for and the waitress was excellent.

    « Great Value »

The newly renovated rooms at the hotel are tastefully decorated; service was impeccable, bathroom was beautifully appointed as was the entire room. The location is within walking distance to the Festival Theatre in Stratford. The hotel features a very nice restaurant as well. Although I didn't use the fitness center/pool area, there is one conveniently located on the first floor. Parking is available and complimentary on both sides of the property.

    « "Great Place for a Convention" »

This was a great hotel for a busy Convention. The rooms were clean, the food was good and the food at the banquet was wonderful. Breakfasts were good as well. The only issue is that the service at breakfast could have been a bit better. Otherwise wonderful.

« Good value. Close to theatres »

We have stayed here over the years but not recently. We were pleased with the reception and room. Room is spacious. 2 beds for 2 sharing room. The fridge makes it possible to buy or bring food for eating in. Room clean. A 5 minute walk to festival theatre or 15-20 minutes gets you the other theatres or restaurants Sampsonite factory also close.

« Great location close to Stratford Festival »

We were very pleased with our stay at this hotel. Pluses +++++ 1. Great location within walking distance of Stratford Festival shows. If you only want a walk under 5 minutes, drive to the next block west of the hotel along Ontario Street. Turn right and the road leads into the park next to the theatre. We parked in a small lot (around 15 cars) near the entrance, which gave us a nice exit directly to Romeo Street without going around the circular drive past the theatre. 2. Check in is 3pm, but they allowed us to check in early (12:45 or so), and others were checking in early too. 3. Parking is FREE 4. Room was clean with all the usual amenities. Nice bed, love seat with coffee table, and nice lighting in room, and washroom. 5. We had breakfast in their restaurant. Food & service was good, and reasonably priced. Negative - 1. Our room had no view - a/c fans, and walls. - NO BIG DEAL for us

    3
    « Just ok »

The hotel is located close to the festival theatre, but that's about the only thing that is impressive about this hotel. The shower had very low water pressure, and the air conditioning unit is loud. It's a clean hotel, with comfortable beds but i think i'll try a bed and breakfast next time.

    4
    « Will Be Back »

Overall a great hotel with a very nice pool. Spacious. Good service. Located right near the theatres in Stratford. The room was not lacking in anything and very fresh, with a spotless bathroom. Of course, it's a bit pricey, being in Stratford: they know they can charge more.

    « Surpassed by expectations! »

We stayed two nights here recently to take in some theatre at the Stratford Festival. There aren't many options for hotels in town (mostly B&B's) and we chose this one because of its proximity to the theatre and we've driven past it a few times and it looked nice. I know it's certainly a busy place in the summer. This place really surpassed our expectations by a large margin. I don't typically stay at Best Western's and so I wasn't really sure what to expect, even with the 'Plus' category added to the brand. Our stay was practically perfect. Every staff member we encountered were friendly and accommodating, from check-in to the restaurant to housekeeping. Our room was very large, despite I believe just being booked as a normal room. It had two beds (advertised as queen size but I felt a bit smaller than that?) as well as a large entranceway and desk as well as two chairs. I'm fairly this is a standard size room and it's large in comparison to many other places I've stayed recently. The bathroom was also huge including a very much appreciated soaker tub. Amenities were standard in the room and the AC worked well on the hot summer day. As for other things worth mentioning about the hotel - the restaurant was good to eat in and always busy. We had the breakfast buffet (a steal at $10) and dinner one evening at the hotel with lovely salads that weren't that expensive either. The pool was on the smaller size but still nice, including a small exercise room and a hot tub. The hours were a bit short, closing at 10pm which sadly prohibited a soak after the theatre. Free computers with wifi were available in the lobby as well with a printer if needed. This theatre is very close to the Festival Theatre in Stratford, under 10 minutes walking and probably around 25 minutes to downtown and the other theatres. Free parking was also available. All in all, this was a really great choice for our theatre time in the town. It was close the main theatre and had lots of amenities for our stay. This is an excellent choice in town but it's busy and you'll likely have to book early.

« Good value and close to town. »

We stayed for one night at the Best Western Plus in Stratford and we found that the hotel provided for a super nights sleep for an affordable price with a location close to all the theatres in Stratford. The beds were super comfortable and the entire family had a great sleep. We will definitely be back.

« Super Place to stay in Stratford! »

Spent two nights here as part of a group attending a family reunion. The hotel is modern, spotless, and although a 20 min walk to town, it is only a 10 min walk to the Festival Theatre. Our king suite was large with two TV's, a whirlpool tub and separate shower. Although breakfast was not included, the buffet was $10.99 per person or you could order a la carte.

    4
« Good value, great service »

Clean and comfortable, easy to park and in a good location. Staff are knowledgable about the theatres and eager to assist with a visit to Stratford. Room 501 had a bad smell so we had to relocate but this was no problem. A bit of a walk to the Avon theatre but there is ample parking if you need to drive there. Decent breakfast at value pricing.

« Still our favorite place to stay in Stratford. »

We stayed at the Arden Park Hotel, now Best Western Plus for 2 nights in July of 2016. Check-in was quick and easy, and they had a room for us even though we were early. The room was quite spacious and appears to have been redone since the last time we stayed here a few years ago. Large bathroom, super deep soaker tub that I very much enjoyed, seating area, desk, TV, cable? basically everything you could need. There is a Keurig coffee maker and fridge in the room, as well as coffee in the lobby. My only complaint is that the room smelled like fritos. Which was odd. Possible coming from the A/C. Wasn't enough to bother us for more than a moment upon entering. There is enough parking, although after the late shows you may be around the back of the building as the closer spots are taken. Slightly outside of town, yet super close to the Festival Theatre, the Arden continues to be our favorite place to stay in Stratford, and may even have improved under the new management.

« Adding to the quality of your stay »

A fine location and outstanding value for your money. The quality of the hotel, staff, and the room meet all of our needs. The towels and products in the bath room were top of the line. The front desk representives went out of their way to provide every assistance needed. Highly recommend.

    5
    « Close to All »

The hotel was excellent in every way; service, food and proximity to the Stratford theaters. In particular, the Festival Theater was only minutes away and graced by the beauty of the River Avon's tranquil setting, a good apres theater respite.

    4
« Far exceeded my expectations! »

The hotel is within walking distance of the Festival theater and a few minutes drive into downtown. The hotel has been recently renovated and the rooms (we had two) are beautiful and modern. The bathrooms are spacious and beautiful, but the shower is not strong enough for my liking. The front desk staff and our waitress at breakfast were so friendly and clearly took pride in their work. The only reason this is not a five star rating is the very small fitness center and weak shower. I look forward to staying here again!

    3
    « convenient »

We selected this hotel because of its location near the Stratford Festival theatre - only a few minutes walk. The room had a fridge and coffee maker. Swimming pool is small, with no amenities at the pool shower, but the room was clean and comfortable. They took a credit card imprint for "amenities", which they clearly said would be deleted on check out if there were no charges. We incurred no extra charges, but $100 still appeared on our card. Supposedly this will be deleted after a few days, but this was not what they initially told us. Where did they get the amount of $100, and why not be up front about it being charged? This left us with a distinctly negative impression of the hotel.

« First rate, all around »

Something of an anomaly in a resort town known for its intimate bed-and-breakfast offerings, this five-story, full-service hotel provides excellent value for travellers seeking more conventional accommodations. Its central location offers easy access to the Festival Theatre and the other tourist sites that attract visitors in droves, especially during the summer months. Check-in and out is efficiently managed in the light-filled atrium on the main floor, off of which a lap pool and small gym provide appropriate facilities for those seeking exercise during their stay. Rooms are spacious and well equipped, with Keurig coffee and tea set-ups, mini-fridges, and large screen television expanding the usual amenities--down-topped beds, fast wireless connections and, in some rooms, whirlpool soaker tubs. While breakfast costs extra, it is both substantial and inexpensive, served from 7:30-11:30 in a large, bright dining-room that also offers a tasty set menu at dinner, as well as economical lunch-time fare. Coffee is available in the lobby all day, along with maps, tourist information and computer work-stations. Service is uniformly professional, with the courteous staff actually seeming to take pride in their facility and its environs. All in all, this Best Western offers first-rate service and accommodation that makes it a winner. One small word of caution; because the hotel is so popular, the parking lot often fills up early. It's best not to check-in late.

« Just keeps getting better! »

The rooms are beautiful at the Arden Park , so well appointed and attended to - love a clean place to stay. We ate in the restaurant and they were able to accommodate us in a great time considering we were going to theatre and had not made reservations. The service was terrific and we had a male server who had so much to share about Stratford and the theatre experience that it added to our dining experience. Thank you so much.

« Modern, clean overnight stay »

We spent one night and used TripAdvisor's rating when we chose this hotel. It's about a mile from downtown/Avon theater. We chose to drive to the theater, but a walk would be doable. Our room was large, clean, and quiet. The exterior of the hotel is very well maintained. We even saw an employee deadheading the flowers in the garden! We will definitely stay here again.

« Better than many Best Westerns »

We really enjoyed our stay at the Arden Park Hotel, even more this year than last when they were in the process of becoming a Best Western Plus hotel. The rooms seemed updated, the bathrooms definitely were. Everything seemed clean, new, and well-provisioned. The only problems were: one outlet that didn't work and the inside of the Keurig coffee machine looked rusted, so we didn't use it and wait staff in lounge and restaurant could use a little more training. Otherwise, a good (though not inexpensive) place to stay for the Stratford Festival and to have a few meals.

« First time visit to Stratford »

The Junior Suite lived up to our expectations. Clean, spacious suite. Friendly staff, great restaurant. Close to Festival Theatre and Dairy Queen lol. It was our first visit to Stratford and our server for breakfast Shilo (apologize if the spelling is incorrect) took a real interest in our daily activities. You have some great ambassadors of Stratford at your hotel. Well done!!! My only suggestion is a magnifying mirror in the suites.

    5
« Comfy, clean, spacious and quiet »

We go to Stratford every year to see a Shakespearean play or two. This is the first time we've stayed overnight. We chose the Best Western and were not disappointed. I wanted to stay longer as the hotel was so nice! We had breakfast in the hotel's restaurant the next morning and it was delicious. The front desk and restaurant staff were all friendly and attentive.

« Great Hotel and Locarion »

This is the nicest Best Western Plus in which we've ever stayed. The property is immaculate and the rooms are large and well appointed. Large bathroom, fridge, quality furniture, and a sitting area make for a comfortable stay. The breakfast is very good and reasonably priced. You can grab a coffee or tea in the lobby 24 hours a day. You can't beat the location, just a ten minute walk to the Festival Theatre and the lake. The downtown is just 1 kilometre away. -- 3 minute drive or 20 minute walk.

    4
    « Great location! »

We stayed here overnight after the theatre. The location is walking distance to the Festival Theatre. The rooms are spacious and clean. The front desk staff, specifically Abbie were very attentive and helpful. We ate breakfast at the hotel and the service was efficient - Thank you Nora! We will definitely stay here again.

    « Enjoyed our stay. »

The hotel staff were excellent. Friendly, professional and accommodating. The rooms were modern and clean and very comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel. It is a bit of a walk to downtown Stratford - 20 minutes or more. Driving was less than 5 minutes and there is plenty of parking downtown.

    « Much better than I expected »

This is a very good hotel for a Best Western. The room that we stayed in had been updated and was large and functional. The location is close to downtown and the theater is located a short walk behind the building. At around $200/night it wasn't cheap but then again its summer tourist season.

    5
« Probably one of the best places to stay in Stratford... »

We have been a few times the Arden Park Hotel when visiting Stratford. It probably pales in comparison to the Bruce hotel next door but I imagine most visitors come to Statford for only a few days to see the plays and paying >$500 may be considered "excessive". The Arden is a full fledged hotel with a decent restaurant, swimming pool and a gym (which is admittedly tiny, but functional). The rooms are huge. We had a king sized bed and a 1 room bedroom suite. There is a a small kitchenette area w a sink, microwave, kettle, coffee maker and fridge (no stove in this one and I'm not sure if any rooms have a stove). It is remarkably clean and well kept. We have been to more expensive "fancy" hotels which are run down and not as well maintained as this place. So I admit I am impressed with the upkeep of this hotel. In the lobby there is free coffee/ hot chocolate machine and a newspaper (if you can get there in time...). The restaurant is quite reasonably priced and the wait staff are (usually) fast & friendly. On Sundays, the open up one of the hall rooms for a larger buffet. Considering what they serve (salads/ cold appetizers/ omelette and waffle stations/ bacon piled a foot high/ cakes and pastries etc), the price (I forget but way less than most hotels) was quite reasonable. You won't find valet service (parking in their lots is free) and you have to haul your luggage up yourself (they have carriers and I suppose if you need help, just ask for it) but I think overall it's a pretty nice, well cared for facility, which is about 10-15 walk away from Festival Theater (leave you car at the hotel) and probably 30- 40 min walk into center of Stratford. Definitely recommended.

    5
    « ABOVE MY EXPECTATIONS »

This is the first time that I have stayed at The Arden Park hotel but I would definitely stay there again. I wish all hotels were like this. The rooms have been recently renovated and they did a great job on them, very stylish and inviting. The bed was very comfortable and sheets and pillows were great as well. Bathroom has plenty of space and very clean . In would definitely stay there again and recommend it to everyone. We didn't eat at the restaurant so /I can not comment on it but the prices looked reasonable.

« Great location to go to Festival Theatre »

Chose this hotel because of its location near the theatre. Room was great...king bed, clean, right number of towels. Restaurant was excellent. Called ahead to ask if a reservation was necessary and it was recommended...glad we did as the restaurant filled up quickly. Enjoyed walking from hotel to Festival Theatre for an evening show. Highly recommend it.

    « Pleasantly surprised »

Was not excepting much but was very happy with the room. I got a 2 queen bed suite with a pull out in the living room. The is a little kitchenette and the rooms are quite spacious and nicely decorated. The check in was a bit of a wait in line and housekeeping forgot to disengage the deadbolt so our room was unlocked all afternoon. Luckily nothing seems to be missing. Overall clean and comfortable, close to downtown. I would stay here again.

« Great place for Family Stay in Stratford »

I have stayed here several times before the Arden Park became a Best Western. I stayed in a suite both times and found that it was roomy and comfortable. The pool is a nice addition. It would be great if breakfast could be included. I hope to stay again this summer .

    « Best best western »

This is more like a Hilton hotel than a brat western. I'm very picky about my beds and this was very comfortable. The room was clean, comfortable and looked newly furnished in a relaxed modern style. My only complaint would be a mirror with a good light source that you can get close to for eye makeup, but i took the shades off a lamp and made it work.

    « Nice Hotel »

We stayed overnight here, for a wedding early July. We were able to check in a bit early, which was great, as we needed to get ready for the wedding we were attending. Room was large and clean, although the view wasn't fabulous (a view of part of the roof of the hotel, with a beer bottle on it), we didn't book a room in Stratford for a view. Staff was friendly. Our kids loved the pool and hot tub - 2 1/2 hours later, I was able to drag them away! Nice hot chocolate and coffee machine in the lobby as well! Skip making coffee in the room, and get a cup of this - it was great! One small thing - the morning after the wedding, I had a headache and went down to the lobby to see if they had a Tylenol for me to have. It was available for purchase. I have headache medication and home and would not want to purchase a whole other bottle. My fault for thinking that maybe one pill would be complimentary, like how some hotels offer extra toothbrushes or razors if you forget.

We stayed one night while in town to see a play at the Stratford Festival. Friendly staff at check in. Clean, spacious modern room with Keurig coffee maker, fridge, and plenty of storage. We were very impressed and plan to stay here again when we return later this season.

« Nice place to stay! »

Actually it was my 2 brothers that stayed here one time while coming home for the Christmas holidays. But as sisters will do, I checked out their room. It was clean and very comfortable and had a lovely view of the nearby Queen's Park. It was within walking distance of the Festival Theater which I consider a bonus! They stayed for 2 days and enjoyed breakfast each morning on-sight before joining the family get togethers. They said they're meals were delicious and satisfying. They both enjoyed a good night's sleep as the beds were very comfortable. A little pricey but well worth the cost was factoring in the location and over all pleasant stay.

    « Nice Hotel »

Stayed at the hotel for 1 night, May 7th, 2016. Very nice modern looking rooms, was very comfortable. We had an issue with the guys across the hall, and the hotel staff took all measures to fix the issue. We were eventually moved to another room, just as a precaution since the staff knew it could start up again when the guys returned to their room after their drinking. All in all I would return to this hotel if I was to visit Stratford again.

« Convenient place to stay in Stratford »

The hotel has recently become a best western plus and has been improved in every way. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable with nice furnishings. The hotel is a 5 to 10 minute stroll to the Festival Theater. Downtown is about 1/2 miles away where the other theaters are located. The dining room serves adequate comfort food at reasonable prices.

    « Comfortable and clean »

My daughter and I stay here regularly on our annual trip to the Festival. It's comfortable and clean and extremely close to the Festival theatre. We often walk the mile through the park to get to the other theatres as well. Feels like our Stratford home away from home.

« Unorganized with an Attitude and Even Worst »

Our family arrived from multiple points in the US after lengthy travels, on a Friday afternoon for a two night stay. Not only were the two rooms we booked not available at the guaranteed check-in time of 3:00 p.m., the (male) manager on duty had a cocky attitude and was unapologetic in any sense. You can see from the photos that the rooms weren't even close to being ready as evidenced by the housekeepers bags of laundry and garbage when they were still cleaning the rooms late in the afternoon. To make matters worse, when we arrived, a small dog entered one of our rooms with no owner anywhere to be found. He was friendly enough and after we shooed him out of our room we nearly stepped in a log he had laid on the carpet near the elevator. Sadly, someone else wasn't as lucky from another gift he or another dog had left. It was smeared on the carpet (in the opposite hallway) and on the hard surface floor in front of the elevators. Needless to say, the presence of untended dogs and their excrement all over the place did not endear us to this hotel. Aside from the unfriendly and cocky welcome from the manager, the rest of the staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant is terribly understaffed, expect ridiculously long wait times for less than mediocre food. We sent at least one of our entrees back on the night we had dinner there. Over all, this place seems to be poorly managed, (obviously) filthy, and poorly responsive to guests. We would never consider staying here again, under any circumstances.

« Great place for Festival Theatre shows »

Great hotel. Very helpful front desk, well appointed common areas and lots of parking. 10 minute walk to Festival Theatre and park. However, the restaurant was very disappointing. Reservation at 6:00 PM, main course arrives at 7:20, and warm food at best. We had to leave for theatre at 7:30, so no choice but to eat cold food. This followed wrong food being brought to our table at 6:50. It was very busy, but they should have been prepared. Unfortunately the dinner disaster spoiled the dining portion of our stay.

    5
« Nice place to stay »

The room and the bathroom were large and very clean. Towels were top notch. The lobby and restaurant were clean and bright and the staff was attentive. The free Wi-Fi worked great. It was an easy and quick drive to the theaters and downtown.

« Needs a facelift and management attention »

Rented a King Suite, the room is "dated".. needs to be redone. Not sure when it was last "updated" but it is looking very tired. There are large grease type spots in the rug, needs to be replaced or at the very least needs a very good shampooing. The bed is old and uncomfortable, needs to be changed. There is a strange smell in the rooms, like someone had at one time smoked. The dinning room is a total disaster, poor service and the food was cafeteria quality.

We just had lunch here. The fish was frozen and overdone. The fries were frozen and overdone. The coleslaw was good. The salt and pepper shakers could use a GOOD cleaning. Could the waitress smile once.

    « Very good otel »

My husband and I stayed over-night at the Arden Part Hotel and we were very satisfied with the overall service and cleanliness of this hotel. Our stay was relaxing and the room was large and very clean. The staff was helpful without being too fussy. The hotel is situated 10 minutes from the theatre, so the location is very convenient as well. We would definitely stay again.

    « no other choice »

Going to a show in Stratford we always stay at The Arden Park Hotel. Now it is a Best Western Plus and the experience is better than ever. The restaurant is great for getting a bite before or after the show. We also enjoy the pool after a long walk around the town and along the river. We won't consider any other properties to stay. We love it.

    « Excellent stay »

The staff were so very helpful. The room was large and the beds were really, really comfortable. The room was quiet and everything worked. The proximity to the downtown area and theatre was ideal. Will stay again.

    « Weekend in Stratford »

We checked in Friday night, the process was fast and friendly no problems. Our room is a suite so it's quite large consisting of a living room which has a 3 and a 2 seater couch, with a desk and a couple side chairs so it is very large, it could be more tastefully decorated, for a more inviting feel. The TV is way to small for the room size it's almost comical. There is a wet bar area with sink, microwave, mini fridge, and a number of empty cupboards. I'm surprised by the lack of any glassware, I've stayed in less expensive suites and they have glassware and wine glasses available, this has only plastic cups, feels like a cheap hotel . The room and even the hallway on the fifth floor had a musty smell. The bathroom is clean which is very important, but like the rest of the suite it just feels cheap, the toilet is older and you have have to hold the handle down to flush, I hate that, the shower door is hinged on the wrong side, making it awkward entering and exiting, and the water pressure from the shower head is way to low. We used the indoor pool, and found that acceptable, the pool side surfaces have been redone and makes it feel newer, the area was clean and pool towels were available. The hotel staff have all been friendly and professional. This has been our second stay at this hotel, first since in became a Best Western hotel. I think that on our next stay in Stratford we might explore other places, this is nice no complaints, just felt the room could have been much more.

    « Pricey but nice »

Modern, very clean room. Nice pool. Pricey at some $220 for four adults (but it is Stratford on Saturday night with play on), but didn't include anything for breakfast! Every other BW I've stayed at always had some breakfast included.

    « Very nice hotel »

This hotel is conveniently located, beautifully renovated, clean and comfortable with lots of stylish touches. The restaurant and bar are handy for beginning and end of the day! We had a suite which was very nicely designed. Stratford can be an expensive place to stay and a difficult place to get a reservation.....this hotel was a very good choice.

    « Loved it! »

I loved this hotel! My room was large, spotless, well decorated, quiet, and comfortable. The bathroom looked brand new, with not a speck of dirt. I had a king size bed, a small living area with a love-seat and coffee table and a nice desk to plug in my various devices. I didn't want to leave my room to attend my meetings. I am looking forward to going back in the near future.

« Arden Park for quality and convenience »

We attend the Stratford Festival every year and appreciate the cleanliness and excellent service, as well as convenience to the Festival theater. We have stayed other places in the past but agree that the Arden Park is the best option.

    « Excellent Property »

We stayed there during our visit to Stratford to see "A Little Night Music." It wasn't our first visit to The Arden Park, but in spite of that we were very pleased at the property. The initial greeting at the front desk was warm and friendly and we were attended to quickly and efficiently. The room we were assigned was immaculate. It was newly renovated and the decor was terrific. We were in a bit of a rush to get to the theatre and decided to eat in their dining room. Here again the service was great and the food delicious. Because of that we ate there on a couple of other occasions during our stay. It's also in a great location as far as its proximity to the theatres and a short walk down Romeo Street to the Festival Park. Overall my wife and I would give The Arden Park the highest rating and will definitely stay there in future. By the way the show "A Little Night Music" was great. We'd highly recommend it!

« Great Stay Every Year »

I stay for several nights every year for the opening of the Stratford Festival. The Arden Park Best Western accommodates my mobility scooter beautifully. Staff are helpful and friendly. Breakfast is great with warm smiles, good coffee, and delicious meals. I recommend it.

« Home away from home »

We visited Stratford for a performance at the Festival Theatre and chose this hotel as being very close to that venue. As it turned out, our choice became important when we were disappointed with the show and did not have to walk far to return to our "home away from home" - our room at the Best Western Plus. Our room was surprisingly spacious as well as spic and span in appearance. It had everything you would need - coffee/tea, fridge, ironing board, etc. - for a comfortable stay. We also ate at the hotel's restaurant - both dinner and breakfast. We were happy with the food selection and quality of meals and were made very welcome by the staff at both eating times. Our only regret was that we had booked just the one night at Best Western Plus and definitely plan to stay there at future visits to Stratford.

« Awesome hotel facilities and friendly + thoughtful staff »

We stayed in Best Western Plus The arden Park hotel during the past Victoria Day long weekend. Not only we enjoyed our stay, my little story can also prove the staff there are friendly and thoughtful. When we left the hotel I forgot my camera battery and the charger on the wall outlet in the room. When I called the hotel they not only managed to find my charger but also offered to ship it back to my home address for free. When the charger arrived I found it's also carefully packed with bubble wraps! Five stars for the hotel and all the staff! Thank you very very much!

« Expensive but near Festival Theatre »

We stayed one night at the BW Arden Park because we were going to the Festival Theatre which is within walking distance. Hotel property is clean and well-decorated but expensive for a small town due to the theatre season I would guess. Our room had a musty smell which I think came from the air conditioning unit but was otherwise fine. Unfortunately there were some large school groups staying over and they flooded the dining room in the morning. We waited 15 minutes to be seated and another 15 waiting for a waitress to take our order. We finally left because no one had yet approached our table and the dining room staff appeared to be hopelessly overwhelmed, although management must know how many guests are booked in...We had breakfast elsewhere.

« BEST KNOW WESTERN FRIENDLINESS AND EFFICIENCY »

The room is nicely appointed and spaciously proportioned, there are 2 queen-size comfortable beds for 2 senior couples to share, cable tv and free WiFi, Keurig coffee and maker, a mini fridge and a large sized well appointed bathroom. There is a restaurant in the lobby for all meals with reasonable price. The hotel is AAA clean, efficient and great value. It is also conveniently located and close to the Festival Hall. The staffs are amazingly efficient and most cheerful. The receptionist saved my 'bling' on my sandle by got me some crazy glue ASAP! Our room was made up while we were at breakfast!! What service!!! I am super AAA impressed even if we missed the famous Best Western free rise and shine healthy breakfasts.

« Good value and excellent location near festival theater. »

We enjoyed our stay at the Arden Park Best Western. The hotel is very clean, the suites were a good value and nicely furnished. We were traveling with two other couples to see Macbeth and Chorus Line at the festival theater. We walked both times. VEry pleasant walk through the park to the theater.

« Quality room, recommend the hotel! »

Good amenities. This is a clean hotel located in an area that offers many restaurant choices. The hotel was quiet, despite being fully booked. Comes with all the standard BW appointments. Did not have breakfast here but the restaurant looked nice. WiFi was strong and reliable. I would return here again.

    « A great option in Stratford »

We were very pleasantly surprised by The Arden Park Best Western. Great staff and nicely appointed, new hotel. The location could not be more convenient to the Festival Theatre - just a short walk and easier than finding parking. Also, it's an easy drive to downtown. We did have dinner in the hotel restaurant and while it wasn't "fine dining" the food was good and the dinner special was an excellent value. We asked to be away from the elevator and were told we were a couple doors away but unfortunately we were still awakened by noise. We'll definitely be back.

    « a weekend stay »

I stayed at Best Western Arden Park while I was moving out of Stratford over Easter Weekend, and needed a place to stay. The staff was wonderful, and the sunday brunch has a huge spread, something for everyone! Would highly recommend to anyone travelling to stratford.

    « Beautiful Lunch Stop »

We had lunch at the Arden Park restaurant/bar. Every day from 11-2pm. Lunch is under $10.00 a person for soup and roast beef dinner! Unbelievable prices. Good for families with older children. Very clean place. We did not stay at this hotel so not able to give you a rating. Judging by lunch I would say it must be a pleasant experience to stay in the hotel. There are 3 specials every day plus they have a menu. A definite A+ for this place.

    « Comfortable & Convenient »

A good conference rate encouraged me to try this hotel. I found it very clean and comfortable. The tiny fitness room had new equipment and free weights. The food in the restaurant and served in the conference was delicious and reasonably priced. Staff tried to be friendly but were not completely successful.

    « Good value »

We spent a mid-week, off-season night at this hotel. It is above average for a Best Western. The hotel has all the usual facilities with an inviting lobby and lots of parking. The service was excellent. The room was large and clean with a comfortable bed. The shower was huge but there was no bathtub. I'm not sure if this was a wheel chair accessible room or if they are all like that. The restaurant was a great deal - reasonable prices for good food with large portions. Although we walked to the Avon theatre downtown, some may find it a little too far. The neighbourhood is lovely for walking with many beautiful homes and a Dairy Queen just down the street! The free wifi was occasionally slow.

    « A Great Base in Stratford »

This hotel is nicely appointed, very clean and modern looking. The room offered great value, especially for a popular place like Stratford. The fitness centre, although small had good facilities. Breakfast was good after a sound sleep.

« A good hotel a few steps away from being a great hotel »

I've stayed at the Arden park 4-5 times over the last few years, the last time 3 years ago. The improvement this time around was marked and noticeable. The place is spotless, and the rooms beautifully appointed in a neo-Classical style...none of the glitzy chrome and glass so popular with so-called "high-end" hotels. This was more King Eddy (my all-time favourite hotel in Toronto) than Le Germain. The bed was firm. The sheets and covers first class. The furnishings of good quality. The room was very spacious. There was a fridge; a definite plus. Free Keurig coffee including decaf. Free wi-fi super-easy to access; just name and room number. Elevators were quick and efficient. Friendly, helpful staff at all levels. There were however, a number of flaws that keep this from being a truly great hotel: Despite a very good restaurant with an excellent menu, there was no room service. I had to place an order and shlep down to get it in my skivvies...then try to handle elevators, room key, etc., while balancing a heavy tray. I only did it once...the next two dinners I ordered-in delivery from a pizza place and sushi bar. Would have preferred the hotel's menu, but it was not to be. This is a lost business opportunity but you can tell the place runs very lean on staff. The TV was awful. Terrible picture quality. It looked very cheap despite the Sony logo. Looked like they picked them up wholesale at a clearance sale. The deep bathtub may appeal to ladies (or men) keen on a bubble bath, but for the in-a-hurry business traveler it's a slippery narrow nightmare...no wonder there are grab bars everywhere. The biggest offence...a fixed shower head with modest water pressure. No way to get enough distance or power to rinse the nether regions. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE.....always have a detachable shower "telephone", and I'll gladly pay an extra buck for some real water pressure. The price was reasonable, a corporate rate of $125 was good value. I guess this being Stratford, the real question for hotel management interested in becoming a much better hotel is: To be or not to be?

    « updated and modern »

Looks a lot classier since I was here last year. If you don't like b&b's then this is the place to stay. The new upholstery and carpets look fresh and modern. No tacky artwork cluttering every inch of wall. The corner queen room I stayed in had a desk with good office chair, 2 side chairs with a small bistro table, a comfortable reading chair, nice linens and is clean. No chemical cleaner smell. The windows are very difficult to open though. There is an electric fireplace but it stank like smoldering electrical so I immediately switched it off. Ontario St. traffic is noisy, even with closed windows so get a room at the back. Plenty of towels, hairdryer, soap & shampoo etc. Separate shower & tub; really like that. Hard to apply one's makeup though as the counter is deep and far away from the mirror, maybe add an extension magnifying mirror. There was no luggage rack in the room but upon my return one had been placed near the closets that hand plenty of hangers. Coffee maker, fridge and iron with ironing board. Front desk is friendly & courteous but they will take a telephone call even though you are standing right there waiting. Lots of parking. Short drive to Festival Theatre

    « quick overnight stay »

we booked the big suite and it was nice and clean and had a separate (separated by an actual door - not a curtain as some are) bedroom area. nicely decorated. fridge, microwave, small kitchen area sink. pull out bed in living room. and little faux fireplace which I enjoyed immensely. if you are going to the 'festival' theatre in Stratford (beware there are four theatres in Stratford - who knew!) you can walk from this hotel in about 10-12 minutes (we are slow walkers). only complaint was could not get a reservation at the breakfast buffet - but it was due to mothers day - so book early.

    « Getting Better! »

We were disappointed when the Best Western first took over Arden Park Hotel, however we spent another night and to our surprise it is getting better with every visit. Last time the hot tub and spa was not available, but it was all spic and span although the chlorine was a bit high, but I have to assume that it had just been "shocked". Something that has to be done. The rooms are spacious, very clean, updated, and the beds are very comfortable. Being a weekend the lobby was very busy with a convention of some sort, but staff handled it and us without a fuss. Friendly and efficient.

« Nothing is open or available during off season »

Stratford in general is a sleepy little town when the theatre season is not in swing, this hotel is certainly no exception. If you want to eat or drink anything besides vending machine fair after 10pm you better high tail your butt to the closest McDonalds even though the restaurant/bar of this hotel could easily stay open until 11pm. The hot tub's chlorine levels were so high that my partner and I started to wheeze and cough within two minutes of being in the hot tub, we quickly got out but then experienced itchy, red rashes all over our bodies the whole night that appeared shortly after exiting the tub. I suppose I should have know better considering the hot tub looked like a washing machine when we turned it on, it was that foamy. When I mentioned it to the front desk, the women gave me some lame excuse about how the Perth health department makes them keep it like that. If the rashes on my skin hadn't subsided by the morning I would have escalated my complaint further but I think this review suffices. Long story short, it's the basic b**** of small town hotels, don't expect anything out of the ordinary and don't use the hot tub.

« Short stay but good »

Considering it had been years since I stayed at a a Best Western I was pleasantly surprised. Common areas were nice and the rooms were well decorated and clean. I would definitely stay again if in Stratford!

    « Extremely comfortable beds »

Very comfortable beds, very clean bathroom, great shower. The price was a bit high for my last booking, but seems to be the same at other hotels. This is a great place for us to stay when visiting family in the area. We come about twice each year and have no hesitation coming again.

    « Elegant and cozy. »

Recently,, I stayed at the Best Western Arden Hotel in Stratford Ontario, with a group of others. We stayed in a suite with a fireplace and extremely cozy bed. The room was immaculate, as was the hotel. The staff were friendly and accommodated our every need. Most of our meals were at the hotel with the function, and they were always enjoyable and well presented. I have travelled throughout the world and stayed at many hotels. This hotel, exceeded my expectations! Very elegant and cozy.

« To Stay or Not to Stay »

This hotel certainly ticks all the boxes and deserves a 5* rating. It can always use improvement as any business can. Pluses are the decor, comfort and accessibility. Each room is tasteful and eye appealing. (Did see a silverfish in the bathroom) but hey, we bring in things with us... Whose to say it was not a hitchhiker ? Beds are as good as any top notch, linens & pillows great! Lighting better than most. We stayed 3 nights here for a Miniatures convention and every aspect was impeccable and organized for our meals rooms etc. We were given an early check-in without charge and given an excellent rate when we stayed over an extra night. Kudos to this hotel for the flexibility and genuine courtesy offered their guests. Now the not so great.... The ATM was not working on the Sat. Night. This caused a lot of hardship to me as I was told to walk down the street that some business would have one. Being dressed for the festivities and needing more cash i set out . No ATM was found(stores -closed) I did not have a vehicle to drive to a bank so I returned to the hotel unable to spend more money at the sale. I believe customer service should have kicked in here somehow ??? Instead of sending me on a wild goose chase. Note to self - make sure ATM is working before sale. Lastly the restaurant. While this hotel is a premium place to stay the restaurant is not. The food could use a little finesse and the waitress a little less rude. I would return here in a heartbeat, Unless of course I win the Lottery to stay next door at "The Bruce"

    « nice hotel »

I recently stayed 4 nights, Very nice clean rooms nice bathroom. Comfy bed. Lots of parking. Good restaurant on site very reasonable prices for food and drinks. Sleeman on tap. I ate in the hotel everyday and was happy except the last night. They had 3 entries and an appetizer and dessert bar If you buy Entree you automatically get the buffets. Lots of choice in the buffets and tasty. I decided to try the Prime Rib and buffets prime rib was far to cooked asked for another done medium and got very well done again. barmaids excuse was they are getting near the end. I got there at 5 and ordered by quarter after. they opened for dinner at 5. They should advise that they don't have a real medium would of been happy to try something else. waitress/barmaid was not happy with me after returning and then never asked how the second was. Should of sent it back to but was hungry by then. Other then that the drinks are reasonable and so is everything else I had during the week The bartender at night during week was very good he offered lots of local Festival information as well as other local attractions. Would stay again but wouldn't order the Prime Rib ever again.

    « Great experience »

From the online booking, check-in to checkout, everything here was efficient and friendly. King room was clean, modern and well-equipped with frig, Keurig etc. Pool and weight room just off the lobby looked great but we were too busy to try them out. Off-season rates were low and service and breakfast in the restaurant (not included) were also great. Requests made at booking re room location were followed without a reminder. (Personal preferences vary so we found the mattress slightly less firm than our favourite, and I prefer a hand-held shower to the rain-shower head.) Central location is great for Stratford tourists; you can walk to nearly everything.

    « Exceed expectations »

Clean rooms. Good breakfasts. Check in was painless. The cookies were delicious, unexpected treat. Helpful staff. Would stay again. It's just off the beaten path where the rooms are quiet overall very pleasant stay would recommend to anyone. Prices were more than fair

« Surprisingly nice Best Western experience! »

Very nicely redone rooms. Up-to-date "hotel" style decor, a bit more city hotel than expected in Stratford, and fairly newly done. Not amazing design, but some attempts at local flavour - theatre posters in the hallways, etc. Spacious room, new crisp bedding, clean fluffy towels, and generally clean. The pool is nice, a touch bigger than some hotel pools, and just as over-heated, but still a good spot for a swim. The gym is reasonably equipped but very cramped. Breakfast not included but very reasonable, decent variety, and freshly made to order which is a great step up from the usual suspicious-looking "scrambled eggs" in a tub and spongy pastries at some other hotels. Very friendly staff. A good experience overall, I will come back!

    4
    « Weekend stay »

Very spacious room, and very clean. We came in the off season and enjoyed a quiet relaxing weekend. Only reason I didn't give 5 star rating was the shower. It looked promising at first but being that it was JUST a shower, there wasn't a tub. The shower head had to be removed or you had to stand underneath it. Not impressed that way. If your not planning on showering it a great hotel for the $$$.

« Arden Park puts the "Best" in Best Western »

I have been staying at the Arden Park every year to attend a hobby convention. I have always found the hotel to be in excellent shape, clean and has always been up to date in its appearance. The staff is friendly, professional and courteous. I enjoy eating in the restaurant the food is great and the price is very reasonable. Even the snack bar service, food and beverage availability and price is just great. I have used the pool and while not large it is clean and you can have a moment of relaxation. The hotel is convenient to everywhere you want to be in Stratford. It's the only place I stay in Stratford because I have had such a great experience here I feel there is no need to go anywhere else for the price.

« Best Western Arden Park Hotel »

We hold an annual convention at the Arden Park. The service is second to none. The staff is polite, professional, and dedicated to customer service. Our conference and the stay of attendees from across the continent went off without a hitch. We will be back again next year.

« Nice hotel, breakfast not included »

What a difference a day makes, and a few miles in driving. After a disappointing night in the Guelph Best Western, with trepidation we checked into the Best Western Plus Arden Park Hotel in Stratford for which we had a non-cancelable reservation. The staff at the reception was really nice and made sure to give us a quiet room as we had requested via online booking. The room and the bathroom were really nice and spacious! And yes, very quiet! There was a big desk, a big dresser, also big fridge and a small round table with 2 chairs by the window, a sofa and lots of space around the king size bed. The bed itself was very comfortable. So we had a great and relaxing night. One disappointment was that breakfast was not included and the waitress in the restaurant was quite rude. So we decided that perhaps we'd go to Balzac's café and have breakfast there.

    « Nice place »

Met up with friends in a central location. Staff at the check-in desk was great, the rooms were clean and stocked with lots of towels. Breakfast was good, they had a nice variety and prices were reasonable. i'd go back again. Didn't get a chance to use the pool or hot tub but they both looked good.

« Don't stay here when there are sports teams booked in! »

I checked into this hotel and noticed displays for a girls hockey tournament in the lobby. My antennae went up and I inquired at the front desk if I could get a room away from where the teams were booked. They assured me that noise would not be an issue. You guessed it! Bedlam, all afternoon, and into the evening?slamming doors, giggling and playing in the hallways, and then, internal phone calls to my room during the night, followed by immediate hangups. Just what a business traveller wants from what should be a reputable hotel chain like Best Western. As the hotel did not take my concerns seriously, I finally had to yell down the hallway to tell the troublemakers to go to their rooms and put an end to the noise. That worked but, the next day I was advised by the front desk that I had hurt some peoples feelings by expressing my disappointment at their conduct. Boo-hoo. Organizers of team accommodations should be cognizant of the fact that commercial hotels are NOT playgrounds, and should supervise their charges much more closely. Hotels, such as the Arden Park, should not dismiss commercial customers' concerns offhandedly, in favour of the whims of large team booking organizations. Reputable hotels have a responsibility to maintain the standards expected of their property, including guaranteeing quiet, peaceful stays for ALL their customers.

« Beautiful king size suite. »

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. It is beautiful and clean. Loved the pool, hot tub and gym. Excellent check in, the staff here are so nice, professional, friendly and so helpful. The food and drinks are very reasonable. Curtis in the bar is one of the best bartenders ever, Nora who served breakfast for us was so nice. We would definitely stay here again.

    « Good weekend break »

My wife and I stayed 2 nights on a long weekend to get a short midwinter break away from home. We had a suite, which gave us lots of space with a separate bedroom. Generally everything was good and we got what we hoped for. We used their restaurant only for breakfast but that was just fine and well priced. The fitness room has all the basics (treadmills, cycle, elliptical, weights) though is in a fairly cramped room off the pool. Some small things: the suites have what looks like a kitchenette, but no dishes, cutlery etc. at all -- so bring your own. In the fitness room the TV didn't work, but they said they were getting it looked after. Overall, good value for the midwinter room rate. We know Stratford very well and there are lots of restaurants and nice scenery to choose from even without the theatre season!

« A great place with wonderful staff »

My husband and I were in Stratford for 6 nights and wanted a bit of space so we took a one-bedroom suite. We could not have been happier with our choice. The room was large and nicely furnished, the bed was great and everything was very clean. We had a fridge and microwave in the room, as well as a coffee maker. The restaurant was also great with homemade food and excellent, friendly service. There is coffee available in the lobby all day - a nice touch. I stay in a lot of hotels and this one is tops in my books.

    « 9 DAY TRIP »

Our family stayed at the Best Western Plus The Arden Park Hotel for 9 nights in Stratford On. The overall hotel was beautiful and our suite was top notch. We had a separate living room are with pullout couch and extra couch and its own tv. There was lots of room and privacy for our daughter in law who was staying with us. We where in town to watch our son curl in the Canadian Junior Curling Championships for over a week. Two other families/friends from our sons team stayed on the same floor as us. We were very happy with the hotel and the room. The rooms were always clean and tidy, no complaints at all . The bathroom had a glass stand up shower and a soaker tub. We ate many meals at the restaurant and was very happy with the food and the price was very reasonable. The staff was so friendly and helpful. We loved it and would love to stay there again if we are ever in the area again. The hotel is close to downtown with many shops and restaurants. We were there for a sporting event, so didn't have time for anything else. We would like to visit in the Summer and go to the theatre. Very impressed by the hotel and staff.

« Very good hotel for the price »

We stayed here on New Year's and the hotel was actually quite nice. The rooms were very well maintained, clean and the staff was very friendly. What was not very nice was the party itself - the food was bland and the music very old school. Then again, there were only a small percentage of people under 35 attending, so I guess they were catering to the crowd. Would recommend the hotel, not so much the "party" facilities.

I look forward to returning.

Renovated and looks really good. Incredible room. Great beds and mattresses provided good sleep. Booked a suite with 2 double beds. Very surprised by the quality of the food. Had salmon dinner and was 100% including desert. Had breakfast next morning and the best cooked bacon I had ever had. Hats off to the chefs. Excellent job. Well trained staff who are all customer oriented. Excellent Value Hotel. We will be back

« Lovely Room, but they let us down »

We stayed at Arden Park before and were very pleased at that time. However they let us down this time. We picked Arden park because the rooms are always lovely and they have a pool, hot tub and a fitness centre. However none them were open. They would have softened the blow had they told us when we checked in. Instead we got into into our bathing suits and made our way down the elevator only to find a sign on the door. Not good customer service. Is this due to the change in ownership to Best Western? Or was it an oversight? Time will tell.

    « Great Hotel »

This is my "go to" place in Stratford. Delighted that they are now a Best Western as that is my preferred hotel chain. Staff are always friendly and accommodating. Rooms are tastefully decorated and clean. Beds are very comfortable. Great hotel.

    « New Years Gala »

The New Years Gala at this hotel was absolutely wonderful. Winter Wonderland at its finest! Great Food, Great Décor, Great Staff, and the hotel accommodation was wonderful as well. Apparently this hotel has a New Years Eve Gala annually. Can't wait for next year! We will be back!

    « Lovely hotel »

We stayed overnight here and were impressed with the quality of the hotel, including the spacious room we had. Breakfast was delicious and served with a smile by our waitress. We noticed that the pool was closed but it didn't matter to us. The front desk people were efficient and friendly. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

    « Lovely place »

This hotel had great staff and amenities. Enjoyed it very much. Sorry we could not take advantage of pool but was too late when we returned from the function we were at to use it. Breakfast is not included but the restaurant was not overpriced and had good food.

« Disappointing and not the same as pre-Best Western »

Although regular visitors to the restaurant for various reasons had not been since the name was changed to Best Western Arden Park. First strike was the wait to be seated and it appeared that were very few staff working. Once seated a long wait before a waitress came to our table. This wait gave me a chance to view the changes to the seating. Gone were most of the tables and chairs to be replaced down the centre with booths. The elegant setting that once was there was gone. Drink order was taken and again a long wait before getting them Food orders taken and after a wait they arrived. One of our party had the buffet ( essentially left overs from Sunday Brunch)which she described as " ok " . Others including myself ordered from the menu and it was good but not great and could have been a little hotter.Waitress came back once to refill drinks and check if all was ok. Waitress never came back to ask if desserts etc.were required and left the bill. Eventually had to go the front desk to find someone to pay the bill to. The restaurant was not especially busy but it was obvious that there was not sufficient staff working. All in all I believe the restaurant has taken a step backwards since becoming part of the Best Western group. Very disappointing.

« Great location for the Festival Theatre. »

Very friendly and helpful staff. Great updated rooms. Breakfast is a good value. Walking distance to the main Festival Theatre. I would strongly recommend staying here if visiting Stratford. Ample free parking.

    « Christmas party Stay-over »

Stayed here after our company Christmas party in their large banquet room downstairs. Definitely the most comfortable bed I've ever been in, and I travel alot for business. Absolute heaven. Room was very clean and luxurious. The entire hotel was very opulent. Felt like I was in a 5 star hotel from the moment I walked into the lobby. Definitely would highly recommend.

    « Excellent Hotel »

I have stayed in many hotels in this category over the years. This private hotel was recently purchased by the BW group and they should consider using it as a template for how all hotels should operate. Everything from décor, cleanliness, food quality, staff etc. was top drawer. I was very impressed and I told the owner (previous) and some of his staff that I really enjoyed my stay because of their great service.

    « My luxury escape »

It is always such a luxury to stay at this hotel. The exterior does not seem unusual, but the interior is amazing, It is close to the Festival and it has a great dining room and conference rooms. I love the fireplace in the lobby. The fitness center, pool and hot tub are close located very close to the elevators.

    « Great Hotel »

While in Ontario for business, I stayed at the BW Arden Park Hotel for a night, very impressed with rooms, service, cleanliness and restaurant. When back in the area a week later I tried to book for 4 nights. Made a booking through an obscure site (lesson learned). I had been on the road for over 6 hours in snow and rain and arrived in the dark. Kellie was on the desk, and could not find my reservation, but assured me that they had a room for me, (put me at ease), and called the Assistant Manager to help find my reservation. They gave me a room so I could put my bag away and enjoy a meal while they got thinks looked after. I was well looked after by great staff, the food is good, and the hotel itself is well looked after and very clean. I WILL stay here again.

« Great place to stay with team. Great value »

The hotel was clean and the staff was welcoming. Breakfast was not included in price but the price was excellent. There was a restaurant on site. Rooms were beautiful and had fridge but no microwave. Make sure you call the front desk again if the staff tells you that late check out is not available. When they give you time, try to negociate for later time as some parents in my group were given later time than me.

« Great place to stay »

The rooms were large, the beds comfortable and the service great. The hotel is very close to the Festival Theatre but a bit of a walk (20 minutes or so) from the (charming) Downtown area and the other theatres. It's nicer than you might expect when you first drive in. We didn't eat here (there are many great options downtown) but we came back for an after-show drink; the service was very friendly. The hotel is on the site of an old furniture factory; there are several photos and relics of the town's past.

« Best value in Stratford »

Sparkling clean, quiet, central, friendly. This is my only choice when I go to Stratford. Plenty of parking, close to the theatre, parks, downtown, or exits out of town. Also great spot for a Sunday brunch.

    « Pleasant Surprise »

Although it looks like your run-of-the-mill chain 3* as you drive up, when you enter Arden Park, it feels like a posh Downtown hotel. Very spacious and lovely lobby area with soaring ceilings, a nice bar and a restaurant. Reception was very quick and professional. But the most impressive was the room. It is very large, super clean, great spacious bathroom and has all the amenities of much more upscale hotel. We did not do Sunday brunch, but other guests we talked to were impressed. Will definitely stay here again when in Stratford.

« First Time at Arden Park »

I stayed on the advice of my son. I am from Alberta and came to Ontario for a family celebration. The hotel was very clean (and thankfully, very quiet, despite a hockey team being there). Recommend this hotel.

    « Great stay »

Stayed at the Arden Park for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The rooms were immaculately cleaned every day, and the staff were fantastic. I only ate at the restaurant in the mornings for breakfast but it was very good as well. I was there on conference, and that facility was also very good. It had ample room for 250 or so, audio and video capabilities were good and the lunch and snacks provided were fantastic. I have nothing negative to say about my stay at all, enjoyed it and would definitely return if I were to stay in Stratford again.

Great clean hotel, reasonable priced and very nice staff. Comfortable rooms and quite spacious! Location close to amenities and just in the outskirts of downtown. I would recommend this hotel and stay there again.

    « Comfortable and Clean »

Nice quiet hotel. The hotel is within walking distance to most places in Stratford on a sunny day. One must make a short drive when the weather is inclement. A fun town to visit and an excellent place to stay.

    « Weekend getaway »

We booked 3 rooms for the weekend on the fourth floor: one with a king bed,one with two doubles & one suite. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We asked for the rooms to be beside each other and that was accommodated with no problem. We used the suite for the family to relax in together. Lots of room with a small faux fireplace, sink, fridge & 2 tv's -everything we needed to sit around and enjoy a glass of wine. The beds were comfortable. We will return.

My 3 daughters and I decided to have a girls getaway weekend to see "The Taming of the Shrew". The hotel was the perfect location to walk to the theater. The decor was modern and up to date. We we all very pleased and impressed with our stay. We will definitely keep this hotel in mind for our next Trip to Stratford!

    « Weekend Retreat »

Enjoyed a very comfortable stay at the Arden Park Best Western. Beds were very comfy, the room was spacious and I appreciated that the windows could be opened! The onsite restaurant provided a great breakfast and good value for the money spent. Just a short drive from downtown Stratford and all the unique shops found there. Would certainly make this my first choice the next time Stratford is a destination.

One of the best Best Westerns you will stay at (and i've stayed at a lot). Room and service were all fantastic. You have to try the restaurant inside, it is by far the best restaurant in Stratford (5 stars)

« A couple of nights in Stratford to see plays »

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We had a small problem with our room initially, and the staff immediately worked to make it better. We were delighted with the comfort of the rooms and the ease of getting into town. The restaurant had a good breakfast menu.

    « A solid hotel in Stafford »

Review for hotel only. I did not eat at the onsite restaurant. I went to the Stratford festival and I had to find a hotel for our group. I really didn't expect much from the Best Western chain hotel but it was the only one I could get that could accommodate a group and was within our budget. ( all the hotels and BB are expensive in season in Stratford). I was so pleasantly surprised. The hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was very large with 2 very comfortable queen beds. The bathroom was large and with a very large tub. Hot water was steamy and abundant. Fluffy thick towels and nice shampoo and lotion. Free keurlig coffee in the room ! And free internet and copy machine downstairs. The only thing that was amiss was that the carpetin the room needed to be replaced and in fact was loose enough in spots to be a trip hazard. Everyone was so pleasant especially the front desk. I had to cancel a room because we had double booked and they let me cancel the room the day of arrival without charging me ( unheard of in my hotel experience!). The guy at the front desk also doubled as valet - everyone seemed to work together to try and make your stay as pleasant as possible. I hope the owner knows what an outstanding staff he has assembled!) The pool was clean and warm. The whirlpool didnt have much power and only one jet was working. Easy parking and though most drove, the center of Statford and the theaters were only about a 20 minute walk away on a sidewalk. I would stay again in a heartbeat if I was in Stratford.

« Good place to stay when watching a play! »

Arden Park Best Western is well located near all amenities and the Stratford Festival Theatre. Close to shopping and downtown restaurants. Within walking distance of the theatre. One one bedroom suite had a large bedroom and a large adjoining bath with a whirlpool tub. The main living area had a bar fridge, a microwave and wet bar with lots of counter and storage space. We found the front desk staff to be very helpful and they went out of their way to assist us on several occasions.

Hotel and rooms were quite upscale and well appointed for a Best Western. However no breakfast included in price which is usually the case for a best western. Location was great for going to the plays

« A New Owner, but Same Quality Stay »

The Arden Park is now part of the Best Western chain, but it's still our favorite place to stay while attending the Stratford Festival. The rooms remain very clean and comfortable and the staff is friendly and helpful. We had very good lunch in the hotel dining room, even though we prefer not to eat in hotel restaurants. But, to our very pleasant surprise, our favorite waitress, Deb, who we've known for years from visiting another place for breakfasts, (now shuttered tight) greeted us as we entered the dining room. What a pleasant surprise. The Arden Park is within walking distance of the downtown area as well as the Festival Theater (if you like to walk). There is also ample parking.

« Arden Now Best Western Plus »

This is a convenient, reasonable and seniors friendly hotel in Stratford within walking distance of the festival Theatre. The rooms are clean and spacious and the dining room is reasonable and convenient given few nearby alternatives. If on the 2nd floor ask for a room not facing the hotel heating/cooling system.

    « Excellent for theatres »

Great hotel for Stratford theatres (close and convenient). Close to downtown Stratford. Free parking. Good value and wonderful staff. Front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming and were very knowledgeable about the theatres and shows, with great recommendations and directions to theatres. Great for those who have never visited Stratford before.

« Wonderful surprise of luxury! »

We chose the hotel for its closeness to the Festival Theatre in Stratford, but we wish we had more time to stay in this lovely, upgraded hotel. We had a King Suite. Separate bedroom with king size bed and generous, comfy pull out sofa bed. Beautiful bathroom included large jet-tub with overhead heating lamp! Double sinks and nice amenities. Even a Keurig in the room! Clean, modern, friendly. Will definitely be back for next trip to Stratford!

I have stayed at the Arden Park Hotel numerous times in the past, while in Stratford for the theatre. The quality and services are no different this stay than past stays, since Arden Park Hotel became Best Western Arden Park Hotel. It istill the same great place.
