Best Western Ponderosa Lodge

Wonderful property! Immaculately maintained rooms with nice amenities. Comfortable beds, linens, and pillows. Fireplace provides a cozy touch. Superb front desk staff...professional, knowledgeable, and friendly.

Nothing special,esp. for $200 a night for ONE person Pros: bed was comfortable, heating worked well, no smell, easy access to parking lot Cons: No special touches, even with a pet (and you have to pay more). No daily housekeeping service (I don't need my sheets changed each day but maybe a spruce up and more coffee????). Had to track down housekeeping carts to get coffee in the a.m. TV, cable box, frig, and microwave were all placed together with one power strip. You had to stand on your head to adjust them, and could have a combination of up to two. TV and warm drinks, or no TV and cold drinks? For $200 a night? Nuff said.

Hotel is very nice, with a rustic 'log building' look. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Awesome area to exercise the dog. Clean dog 'restroom' area, too (not covered in poop piles. Bags and waste can were provided. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

I have stayed at the Ponderosa Lodge in Sisters for years. We have tried other places due to the Ponderosa being full but this is by far the best place to stay and the best value in town. I almost always stay in the Suite with a hot tub in the room. The Alpacas on the property are fun to interact with. The beds are great and the staff are always courteous and helpful.

This is the nicest Best Western Ever - the Best Best Western. Family owned and it shows. amazing rooms with balconies, and the breakfast is the best hotel breakfast ever. Wifi Strong too! I won't stay in Bend ever again, Sister's is much nicer.

The hotel staff was friendly, courteous, very accommodating, and pleasant. My room was clean and accessible. I was on a 6-day, multi-state motorcycle ride. The staff put me in a room very close to the parked motorcycle. The grounds and pool area were beautiful and very well-kept. The town of Sisters is beautiful. There are a number of good eating establishments right across the street. Overall, very nice experience. I would highly recommend the Best Western Ponderosa Lodge in Sisters, Oregon.

Everything about our stay was great, Beautiful surroundings. Room was awesome. Service is what you would expect from a high end hotel. Very pleased with every aspect of our stay. Can't find anything negative

Great place. Clean and loved the room decor. Fun watching the Alpacas play in the yard area. Very close to the shops in town and great restaurants. Breakfast was great with service very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again.

Great location and the staff went out of their way to be helpful and courteous! Everything far exceeded our expectations! Would highly recommend it to any traveler! We were there for a family wedding and are already planning a return trip.

Bah rooms and building, though very nice grounds. Quite overpriced. Noise from the road. We chose this hotel because others from the family weree staying there but were quite disappointed. One morning there was no milk at breakfast! Best Western is an average chain and this one is sub-par.

Wonderful 3 night stay. Rooms are very clean and well maintained. Very quiet. Friendly, helpful staff. Great complimentary breakfast. Free parking. Easy walk to downtown Sisters. Enjoyed sitting on our balcony and watching deer roam in the lawn area outside our room and watching the alpacas in the next field. Would highly recommend this property.

The Lodge and the inside of the rooms has plenty of beautiful exposed wood and natural wood furniture. The continental breakfast was delicious, hot, and varied! They even had gluten free options for those with Celiac's! I really enjoyed my stay and intend on staying again when I head out to Sisters for another holiday!

Surprisingly great experience at this hotel. Spacious rooms, nice pool, charming Alpaca farm on site. Fabulous location to explore Sisters and it's a great alternative to Bend for hikers. Highly recommend.

I heard about this motel in a song titled, “The Best Best Western”, and I have to say it totally lived up to the lyrics. I loved everything about it, and even though we didn't stay in one of the deluxe rooms described in the song, I loved the piney woodsy accents in the craftsmanship of the furniture and the room itself. Pine wood ceiling and woodwork and window frames gave the place a rustic cabin feel in the best way. The outdoor pool was beautiful and the large hot tub under a wooden canopy allowed us to soak in the pleasure of the jacuzzi while enjoying the nature around us. The breakfast offered was above and beyond what most motels are offering these days. The variety was outstanding, from different breads and pastries, cereals, fruits and juices, to the hot items which included scrambled eggs, deluxe scrambled eggs with veggies and herbs, salsa, cream cheese, sour cream and biscuits and gravy, plus home fries and sausages. Oh, and you can make a waffle and too it with fresh berries and whipped cream! All was made even more enjoyable with the option to dine outside or in the little breakfast room. If you choose to eat outdoors, you will enjoy the small herd of alpacas who live in the pasture on the other side of the fence! Or catch a glimpse of resident deer meandering through the grounds. The beds are super comfortable and so were the pillows. Staff are friendly! There is no elevator but we were offered help carrying our bags. This truly is the best Best Western!

I have stayed at this hotel multiple times. It is a great location for nearby hikes. Hotel rooms are clean, and comfortable. The staff are friendly. The breakfast is by far the best of any hotel breakfast I have had anywhere. We also enjoyed the pool.

Best western Ponderosa Lodge gets lots of great reviews and I'm not sure why. We spent $1000 for 3 nights, yet were unable to get a good night's sleep because of the age and quality of the mattresses in the room. This is not about a preference for firm, medium or soft, this is about the quality and support of the mattress. This is a number one consideration for accommodations for most people, and yet everyone throws their hands up and says, oh well, and gives it 5 stars. Bear in mind, too, that the rooms are very dark on top of the carpet being black, so if you're sensitive to that and get depressed in a dark room, this is not the place for you.

This is the best motel I have ever stayed in during my 66 years of travel! The beauty of the grounds and surrounding area is incredible. The room (a jacuzzi suite) was spacious with a large living room with river rock fireplace, wet bar area with sink, fridge and microwave, comfortable king bed and large bath with separate tub and shower. So impressive!

Front desk is always so friendly when we check in - everyone is very helpful and our room was exactly what we requested. Beautiful grounds and pool area. Love the complimentary breakfast and the umbrella tables outside to sit in the grass. The Alpaca's are so cute.

Rooms were outdated and looked the same from 20 years ago. Toilet was lose on the floor. Mirror on bathroom's door was ready to fall off. If you stay request upstairs. Bottom rooms you will hear every footstep. Lots better motels in the area

Kind of a mixed bag - location is good but noisy, leading right into town. We had a hit or miss experience with the lobby staff- requested a different room as the toilet leaked and ran - staff wasn't very attentive to providing us with a different room quickly. We were told we would be moved quickly but ended up having to return to the lobby and make our request again. Then they only moved us down one room from the one we were in originally. I think the plumbing is just old - the toilet was noisy in the other room as well. Pool and hot tub were dirty and full of pine needles and bugs. The hot tub was barely lukewarm and we stayed out of the pool. Would rather stay somewhere else if we return.

I always stay at the Best Western in Sisters Oregon when I visit family. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. The front desk attendants are always friendly and efficient. The breakfast is great. And you get to watch the llamas out the window!

The staff was simply amazing! Authentically friendly! The included breakfast exceeded our expectations. And, VERY pet friendly! Loved that our room opened to green space to walk the dogs. Alpacas were a nice extra!

We loved the expansive lawn area and the ability to let our Goldendoodle out from our patio with the ground device we use to enjoy the space. The alpacas in the distance were fun to watch! Our room was very clean and spacious and the staff was friendly and accommodating!

Great location, jetted duel tub was cozy, would stay again. As an Platinum member no water was offered at check in, parking lot could use some de-icing for safety. Room was great, water was hot, tub was nice!

Room was not worth the amount charged. Dirty and outdated. Poor water pressure in shower. The walls were dirty, trim was missing and unfinished. Overall not a quality product for the amount paid. The breakfast was the best part of our stay.

The Ponderosa lodge has been a fine Motel for many years. The design, and location are superb. The motel is built to resemble the scenery in the Ponderosa forest area. The interior chairs etc are of wood to accent the room and motel design. Alpacas on the property as well as local mule deer accentuate the experiance

Excellent location, you can walk to town. Very clean, nicely appointed rooms, pool was clean & spacious, beautiful lawns, trees & grounds to walk. Pet friendly. Shopping across the street with gas station & food items.

This was an impromptu get away with two sweet granddaughters just to rest, relax, swim and do a little shopping. The weather was perfect for the girls to swim all day and enjoy the grounds. There were alpacas in the field next to the motel... There were mama alpacas with their. babies. It was a highlight of our stay along with having breakfast with the deer! It was awesome ❤️

I've stayed here twice and love the location and the fact that all the rooms have balcony or patio. Close to Sisters, which is an easy walk or very quick drive. The rooms are comfortable. We like the second story rooms with a balcony which overlooks the paddock where the rescue alpaca's are. They are fun to watch and the balcony is an excellent spot for morning coffee and afternoon libation. The staff is great and the breakfast is a full breakfast and not just sweets.

Rooms are very clean and nice with a log cabin feel. Breakfast service was abundant and excellent. Front desk staff was cordial and most helpful with extending our stay in Sisters. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed a great "suite" in a rustic western themed building that fits in well with the feel of Sisters, OR. A bit spendy but then what isn't anymore. Breakfast service was a nice feature and the location far enough off the highway to be really quiet, Large grounds area with pool and hot tub...and a nearby pasture with Alpacas to interact with.

This is our favorite because the rooms are large and well laid out. The balcony is good. The setting is wooded with lots of green grass and a huge covered hot tub. All of it is done with huge polished logs so it really fits the setting in Eastern Oregon. The staff is great and the breakfast is a real nice surprise with lots of good items as it is catered in. Different scrambled eggs choices which is nice.

Great checkin first thing you see is a family of deer check in was fast and even let us park our horse trailer so we could go eat rooms was big comfortable beds nice view Tami at breakfast was great food was good she had everything prepared very clean super nice

We have driven past it, but now had a reason to stay in Sisters after a long hike. I was surprised at how quiet the property is given its proximity to the road. The staff was excellent and welcoming. The setting is very tranquil with the alpacas, deer and a peacock.

Being a Best Western member I booked a surprise weekend getaway for the family Thursday through Sunday! It was a great stay and the suite with jacuzzi was the best BW stay we've ever had! The solitude, quiet and wild life on site were amazing (Alpacas, Peacocks, Deer, chipmunks) and closeness of the Sisters mountains were breath taking!! It was a bit pricey but it was also a very busy weekend in Sisters so it was worth it! Plus we brought home special bath rooms too!! We will be returning again! Thank you BW Ponderosa ❤️❤️❤️

We enjoyed our stay here. Nestled in the pines. Deer cruising through the property. Alpacas were so cute. The rooms were large and clean. The office staff was great. Parking was available. Even though located along the highway it was very quiet.

We made a last min decision to stay in Sisters and settled on this hotel without any high expectations but we were honestly blown away. The room was huge and very comfortable, with everything you could think that we would need. It was perfection from the jacuzzi tub to the view of the herd of alpacas. We will make this our goto hotel whenever we are in the Sisters area.

Best Western Ponderosa is truly unique for a branded hotel. It's on a large property with large grassy areas and more natural spaces with pine trees and chaparral. The outdoor pool was decent sized and the jacuzzi was huge. There are deer and a peacock that roam the grounds. And if that's not enough to motivate a stay, the complimentary breakfast was FRESHLY COOKED right there!

Love central Oregon. An amazing place to relax. The pool is awesome. Animal wildlife abounds. Close to downtown Sisters. Breakfast was good with hot food. Love the wood interior decorations. Highly recommend. Will definitely go back

Wonderful stay at the Ponderosa! Feels like a lodge, nice rooms. Hot- hot tub, and the pool was warm this Time. we enjoy watching the alpacas in front. and enjoyed a nice continental breakfast. We came just before quilt festival. It was nice

We booked our room last minute (3 days) and they said the total would be 405.00 for the suite. We arrived and checked in and they were very polite. When we were walking out from checking in someone drove in last minute and they said all they had left was suites for 359.00. The room was clean but tub very outdated. Bed was not hard and shower head had to be cleaned from hard water to work properly. I really appreciate a clean room but not at all worth the price we paid. If we go to this area again probably wouldn't pay the price for this hotel.

The property is lovely, staff is helpful and friendly, the rooms are really nice and spacious. It is a great choice if you are bringing pets. There is a nice forest area behind the property to walk the dog. The alpacas were fun to watch.

The property is beautiful and well kept. If you like wild life, they have it. Employees are friendly and helpful. The food is great and property is backed up into a forest. The rooms are large and very comfortable.

We have stayed at the Ponderosa lodge for nearly 10 years now and everytime we stay we are impressed with the service from the staff and the quality of the rooms. This time we stayed in a dog friendly suite and loved the room, especially the hot tub. Once we found out some of the suites were dog friendly we were super excited. The beds are very comfortable and the breakfast had a lot of options. We will definitely stay again.

Rooms were quiet- almost no noise from neighbors-running water. The beds were very comfortable, the rooms spacious and clean. The staff were all friendly - the kitchen waffle cook was very helpful. The omelets and waffles were very good.

I'm not sure if it's the location in a grove of ponderosa pines, the alpaca herd, or the quiet location that makes the Ponderosa Lodge our favorite place to stay on the east side of the Cascades....(it's all 3!)

After 15 years of staying here I never will agin! Their unwillingness to “work with” or accommodate guests is unacceptable. The weekday breakfast staff attitude was abrasive! The upper management tried to find every angle to charge more.

We we have stayed at multiple Best Westerns and this place was more than we ever dreamed it would be. We had the best room, quiet, clean, fast internet and the staff was very helpful. The only recommendation or problem we had, is the breakfast is to go and your toast is cold and your waffles soggy Hot tub was nice. You do not hear your neighbors at all. The only other thing is I'm not sure where the ice machine and trashes upstairs we kept going downstairs. We will be back to this place over and over and over again. We were blessed.

This is our favorite place to stay in Oregon. Beautiful rustic wood rooms, lovely green grass year round and a large spa, everything you ever need. We try to stay here a few times a year just to enjoy this place!

We've stayed at many hotels, including resorts, and this hotel is still our favorite! The crew that manages it, especially Troy, are always friendly and helpful. It's always clean and well maintained. We feel at home here and appreciate everything the team does to make this a great place to stay!

Very friendly staff, clean rooms, and cozy log cabin feel. The hotel is in a great location and is very quiet even though the highway is nearby. Check in and check out was a breeze and all amenities were in working order. Have stayed here several times.

It was truly a lovely experience. Made it easy to walk downtown for meals and shopping. Close to Smith Rock. Adventurous and lovely weekend. The room was romantic and the front desk was so very helpful.

The staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and so comfortable and beautiful. We love the Aspen suite! Breakfast is good and plentiful. We prefer to stay here and drive to other towns like Redmond, for the Sportsmans show at the fairgrounds!

Really well maintained, well managed motel in a great location. Due to a plumbing issue, we were upgraded to an Aspen Suite, which was great. The regular motel rooms are also nice with western-style furniture and decor with sunny patios. Great location and super for dogs. A five star motel!

This Best Western is above all others we have stayed at. The rooms(suites) are beautiful and comfortable. My wife and I stay multiple nights every year. This by far is our favorite with a caring helpful staff.

We stayed here 2/15/22 - 2/17/22. I really liked this hotel, it was nice, clean & quiet. There are some things in the rooms that could use updating but the room was clean & comfortable. Even though there were guests in the rooms on both sides of us, we NEVER heard any noises. We were there with two small dogs. The BEST part about this hotel was NO CARPET in the pet friendly room!!!!! This should be mandatory in all pet friendly hotels. The grounds were great for taking the dogs on walks, there was always several deer hanging around. However some inconsiderate guests did not pick up after their dogs so we had to watch were we were walking sometimes. The back patio was nice for sitting outside & relaxing with our pups. The breakfast was modified but was still very good. Neil at the front desk was GREAT!!! If we returns to Sisters, OR we will return to this hotel

If you want a great hotel the Best Western in Sisters is the place to go. Rustic knotty pine and very large beams. Very cozy with fireplace. A great to order breakfast and grab bag for pm snacks. Will be back.

A mini vacation within proximity of shops in Sisters. Wonderful staff and great room. It was relaxing and worth the investment. We will definitely be coming back. This is a great place to stay during the Christmas holidays to shop the fun stores in Sisters!

Had to travel late one night and cross the mountain pass. Made a last minute reservation at the Best Western Ponderosa Lodge in Sisters, OR. Check-in was simple and the staff was extremely helpful. Breakfast was good and made to order.

I was very impressed with this hotel. The staff was very polite, friendly and informative. My room was exceptionally clean and I will stay there when I go back. This hotel is also in a great location.

I love to visit Sisters. The Best Western Ponderosa gave me a great experience. I love the wood accents, clean and ample room space. I was traveling with my Golden Retriever and Springer Spaniel. There was plenty of lawn outside to play with them. My room was quiet. The morning breakfast was amazing. I will stay at the Best Western Ponderosa on every visit.

Second stay at this property. Highly recommend. Extremely clean and comfortable rooms. They must have good insulation as the room was very quiet and I slept very well in the comfortable bed. Loved the big easy chair and ottoman. Staff is courteous, friendly and helpful. Free breakfast was served within minutes of ordering.

Couldn't have been better! It was a birthday treat. My sister and our four dogs had a wonderful time. Beautiful grounds, awesome staff, fun location! The staff seemed genuinely happy to be helpful! I plan to return!

We have stayed at the Ponderosa Lodge many times and always enjoy it. The grounds are so restful and beautiful, the staff is great and the rooms are beautiful. The town of Sisters is a short walk away and is a fun place to visit. If you are looking for a very comfortable place to stay at a fair price in a beautiful location this is where you want to be.

I won't be staying here again. When I checked in, the girl asked for my address and I didn't want to give it, because why does Best Western need my address? (she said it was in case I leave something here, which is BS. You never need to give your physical address). I guess she didn't like that because she put me in a pet room, which I did not book, because I don't have a pet. When she asked, I also said I don't have a pet. Well, pet room anyways which I learned via the motel map, not the receptionist because she neglected to tell me that. The room was infested with flies, mosquitos, gnats and all sorts of flying insects. There were flies attacking my dinner, I looked in the mirror and found a dead bug on my face, there were dead bugs on the walls and a dead (bloody) mosquito in the sink. The AC was not on when I arrived, and it must have been the original unit from when the building was built in 1988. The bloody mosquito in the sink did it for me and I asked to switch rooms, and a different girl gave me the non-pet room I originally booked, which I did appreciate. The newer AC was on, there is art on the walls, and there are no flying insect infestations. It's still not as great as others seem to think, it's just a standard, not sparkling clean motel room, and I feel like I wasted my money. My advice is that if you can, pay a little bit more to stay someplace else.

Wife and I stayed here four nights in Sept 2021. Rooms are clean and are very large compared to the more recently built hotels. We were on bottom floor and heard only a little noise from upper floor. This is a very relaxing place in that there is a large green area that separated hotel from the street. On the green area is a herd of Alpaca's. So very peaceful setting. Nice pool and hot tub. Only recommendation I would have is the room even with all the lights on is dark.

We love Sisters, Oregon and when we come here we have found that Ponderosa Lodge is a great location stay. We have a small dog and the pet area is very nice. Location at the round about makes it easy to get to heart of town, shops, and food. Seeing the Three Sisters from the grounds is a plus.

Absolutely beautiful property, incredible room, wonderful staff. We stayed in a king suite and it was large, gorgeous, and very comfortable. We enjoyed the jetted tub, fire place, and balcony. We were so impressed and will be returning for sure.

Came over to sisters for a quick trip to see the area, as I am moving to the town in a month. This hotel is very comfortable and welcoming. Would totally recommend staying here as the staff were friendly and the rooms were clean

We have been staying year for years. It never disappoints. Clean, spacious rooms. The Aspen suite is wonderful, especially enjoy the whirlpool tub. The balcony view is so sweet, the alpacas and beautiful lawn, even deer grazing! Breakfast ordering system changed for covid works well, lots of options and well prepared. Always friendly and helpful staff. We love it!

On our way back to Susanville, CA. Needed a nice place to stay and get a good rest on the way back, we stayed at Best Western and glad we did, plan to stay here again on our way to Portland to see our son.

We were on a 12 day driving trip in the West and this was the most pleasant stay by far. The location is lovely, in a grove of pine trees with a manicured lawn below and grazing alpacas nearby. Each room has a balcony or terrace area to enjoy this beauty. The room was large and the internet good. The outdoor pool area was clean and not crowded with a large covered spa. The breakfast room was not open but you could order a hot breakfast and they would custom make it for you for pickup. It was more food than we could eat! Check-in was really friendly with helpful advice about local dining options. We were really sad to leave this place.

This hotel is a gem for it's three star rating. The front desk service is excellent. The rooms are spacious and clean. Even the deck was free from cobwebs or other debris. The morning breakfast is a real plus, and the staff works so hard to get it ready on time. Plus, the pool is clean and cool. We will definitely stay here again. A real value for the price.

First time at a Best Western in a LONG time. Impressed with the friendliness and cleanliness of the hotel. Stayed in a Ponderosa Suite to celebrate our anniversary. Huge room. Clean. Friendly staff. Hot breakfast available. A little pricey, but it was the middle of the summer, so peak travel season and I guess it was expected. We will definitely go back in the off season.

I've stayed at this property before, as we like to bike, hike, and canoe around the Sisters area. The room is clean and large compared to other comparably priced hotels in the area. The staff is efficient and friendly. And they have, hands down, the best take on Covid breakfasts. You order by phone from a menu, and the options are fresh, warm, and delicious. Then you pick up your breakfast from the breakfast room and eat there or in your room. And, the alpacas are back!

We have stayed at this property over the years and have always loved the location, friendly staff, and the outdoor pool to beat the heat. This was my first bad experience staying here. The worst part of my stay was the "heated" pool. The water was so cold, it felt like taking a dip in a glacier-fed lake. Not a single adult was willing to get their head under water during our stay. It is apparent that the town of Sisters is experiencing a lack of willing work-force. The breakfast area had 40 minute to 1 hour delays for breakfast items to be ready at the hotel, and the restaurants in town had similar wait times. For the rate we paid per night, we expected better. We hope that this hotel returns to its previous standards soon.

Good location in Sisters. 5 minute walk from the old town main street. Supermarket across the street. Stayed two nights. Big room and clean. Nice private balcony. Plenty of parking. Front desk staff professional and breakfast was order and take out. A great alternative to Bend which is a big, busy city.

We love this place. Always clean and welcoming. We enjoy feeding the deer and chip monks that roam the property. Good food is a short distance away as well as groceries.Lots of activities for all family members no matter what their interest. Especially like the fact that my cat is always welcomed with open arms.

This lodge is awesome in every aspect. The suite we were in , #243, was situated at the end and closest to the Alpacas. It was very spacious and well appointed with a walk in shower and whirlpool tub for mor than one.The maintenance and cleanliness of the entire property was obvious and showed how well cared for every detail of this property was to the owners and staff.Very nice hot or cold breakfast was provided. Truly a wonderful stay.

We love the Aspen Room, we have stayed 3 times in the past year and intend to stay again in August. It is peaceful and relaxing. Ryan the manager is great, he went out of his way in making reservations..

We've been staying at the Best Western Ponderosa during quilt week for many, many years. The new GM has increased the prices so high that we can no longer afford to return to this hotel ($300+ per night for a double-queen). The alpacas are also no longer on property, which was part of the draw of this hotel. The staff is wonderful, but we will look for other lodging in the future.

I have spent time in many high end hotels all over the country--Hilton, Marriot, Disney hotels in Florida and California, the Paris and Venetian in Las Vegas and highly rated hotels in downtown Chicago, and San Antonio and Dallas. None of them compared to the Ponderosa Inn in Sister Oregon. I loved the Aspen Suite we stayed in. The beauty and functionality of the room was incredible. We loved our stay in Sisters.

Excellent place to stay. The hotel is clean, fantastic staff/team, great location and within walking distance into town and such a gorgeous setting! The staff are friendly, courteous and very helpful. We were given all the amenities we needed and housekeep provided more coffee and blankets for the sofa bed. We will return for sure!

The location of this hotel is in a beautiful setting with many things to do. We came to play golf and stay in the area and this hotel was a great place to stay. The only negative was the pool was not open during our stay.

The room was spacious and nicely appointed. The grounds were lovely! The staff was friendly and helpful. So nice to have a nice hotel that allows pets. Very easy access to town or adventures. We will definitely stay there again.

I enjoy my stay here each year. The rooms are very clean and there is plenty of green space to roam. There is also a pet area. The staff provides a pet basket upon request with a bowl, doggie bags, snacks and sheets for the pets. The staff is excellent; the are friendly and helpful. Easy walk to things in Sisters. The one improvement I would want is brighter lighting in the room, but that is just my preference.

I had an amazing experience! Everyone at check in was very sweet and helpful. The property is beautiful and you can tell they take great pride in keeping it looking good. The room itself was immaculate. I stayed in the Aspen Suite. It had a king sized bed, gas fireplace, jetted tub and walk in shower with rain head. This was a solo trip for me to enjoy a night without kids as a Mother's Day gift. Every part of it was astonishing! We live locally and will be back for a date night!

Quiet, clean. Decent breakfast. Nice to have rooms which allow pets. Nothing fancy but solid. Heating and cooling seemed a bit off as room was very warm even though we turned down the heat. Staff helpful and responsive.

We had friends locally that lost there beautiful home overnight. I was able to call directly to hotel and secure a room. The gentleman that booked our stay was very accommodating and efficient. short notice going into a weekend and stressful scenario for our quick stay it was comforting to know I could count on Best Western to meet our needs.

I have stayed at Hotels all over the western United States for work. Best Western Hotels are always my first choice. Best Western Ponderosa Lodge stands out as one of the best. It is quiet and the rooms are large. There is also plenty of parking.

This is an oasis in the middle of the desert. My wife and I decided to spoil ourselves and get the suite with the hot tub in the room. My wife has a disability and this was supposedly handi-friendly room but I had a hard time getting in and out of the tub myself. Despite the room appearing as if it hadn't been vacuumed in between stays and a lackluster concierge no local food delivery, for the price we paid for a mandatory 2 night stay with a hotel at 75% occupancy we had neighbors on all sides! It really doesn't meet expectations in my opinion but we still enjoyed our time.

Probably the best Best Western you'll ever stay at. Staff is super helpful and my stay was lovely. I hope to visit again soon! I love the accommodations for pets. I visited with my dog and I think he might have had the best vacation of his life.

We love the friendly professional staff that always make sure to make our stay nice, the free breakfast was amazing, eggs with spinach, potatoes and bacon. They also had other options such as yogurt and granola or fruit. We always stay in the king suite which has knotty pine wood ceilings and river rock fireplace, great ambiance

The king suite is the best-- The jacuzzi was AMAZING and the soaps and toiletries were even good quality. The breakfast is different now due to covid and was a little cold. I dont think that's anybodys fault though.

This is a great option for a stay in Sisters, OR! We were skiing at Hoodoo and enjoyed coming back to a jetted tub. The fire place makes the room cozy and actually puts out quite a bit of heat. It has a cabin feel and vibe going with dry forest all around you.

Totally enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Ponderosa. The interior decor of rustic pine was great. Our first floor room opened out to a nice yard area where we watched little kids romp in the snow, watched Mr. Snowman stand proudly as he slowly melted. A doe and her fawn munched grass right outside our patio and grey squirrels chased across the lawn.The Lodge provided "real" hot breakfast by ordering ahead and then pick up. A truly enjoyable stay.

Had to be out of my home for 4 days and the Ponderosa Lodge did an amazing job of arranging for me to stay with them. Room was spacious and the amenities were great. Room and bed were very comfortable.

Was greeted by Angie, it was off season mid week and she was able to upgrade me to a Beautiful King Suite!This property is truly one of my favorites! I have stayed at least 10 times it is well taken care of and all the staff are super friendly and accommodating.It is walking distance to Sisters which is just the best little town.

Covid-19 cleaned the web site states. My Spa Bath was filled with random short and long dark colored hairs. The jets had 2-3 inched floaties attached. My 10:00 AM shower had NO, ZERO hot water and the Manager stated this happens when the Hotel is filled with guest's. The younger Staff at the front office needs a LONG class on customer service. With a possible repeat. The manager was fast, straight to the point and did good at attempting to resolve my issues. The check-In front office staff was wonderful.

So great to get out of the house with Covid going on and the BW in Sisters made us feel safe and pampered. The jacuzzi was heavenly after skiing all day, the fireplace added a warm feel to the room, and the delicious breakfasts were a great way to start the day!

We stayed in a Jacuzzi suite 3 nights and the room was clean, spacious and the fireplace was cozy. The only thing that I did not like was the matress showed a little wear. Due to my back I could only lay for about 6 hours before I had to get up. Overall the stay was great and I look forward to going back next year.

This hotel is really nice. The price was perfect and the ease to find it was incredible. Grocery store was right across the street. Many paths to go walk your dogs and that is huge when you're traveling.

We love staying at this hotel. The rooms are spacious enough to enjoy our take-out food (Covid restrictions closed all inside dining.) The staff is very friendly, and it is the perfect place for getting away from it all. The pool is perfect in the summer, and the fireplace rooms keep us snug in the winter.

It's always a great place to stay. We've only stay in the suite rooms (jacuzzi tub) and they're wonderful and clean. The breakfast is good too you can choose from a limited menu or grab a bag to go. We stayed for 5 nights and 6 days well worth the R&R.. Can't wait to go back!

The staff was all very friendly and helpful. The place was well kept. A perfect mountains getaway spot. Breakfast was very good, even during Covid. They were very accommodating to our needs, since we were doing work/school from the hotel.

The used excellent COVID protocols in all possible ways. We make it to Sisters at least once a year and spend a nite or 2 att the Ponderosa Lodge. The staff is courteous, always eager to help and provide excellent service. The area is beautiful with rivers to walk along, trails to hike, waterfalls to view and walk beside. A great vacation place for families and friends. The town of Sisters is sweet, has many shops of all sorts. Even a quilt shop!!!

We make an annual Autumn trip to Sisters and ALWAYS stay at the Ponderosa. It's a unique motel built with massive timbers - makes me feel like being at Timberline Lodge. We have stayed in their suites a few times, which are very nice. Lately we have gotten their regular rooms. These rooms are very spacious, even with two queen beds it doesn't feel crowded. We get the second floor room. These rooms have large balconies that look out onto the greenspace - you can see the llamas/alpacas or the pool/spa depending on where you are in the building. We haven't gotten a bottom floor room so I'm not sure if they have the vaulted ceilings like the second floor rooms. The ceilings are not only vaulted but are paneled in whitewashed pine - I love that! The dining set that is in the room is unique too - they are made from raw branches basically and add to the rustic feel of the lodge. The rooms are clean. We are used to sleeping on a memory foam mattress but we find the beds are comfortable. The shower is good and they give you ample towels. It's quiet! We have never had a noise problem while there - the floors are concrete underneath the carpet and that keeps down any noise. In all honesty, it's my favorite motel to stay at - I just feel at home there and I look forward to staying there. If you go there next Fall - save a room for me and my husband!

The main reason we booked the room was for the hot tub, should have asked if it was open but it was not due to Covid, I'd recommend opening it up but with a sign up sheet at the front desk. Also seemed pretty overpriced for just a motel, we slept on the ground floor and although our neighbors above were not noisy at all every time they took a step or opened a door or went to the bathroom we could hear them. However the room was clean, staff was friendly and breakfast was good as can be for continental.

We always stay here when in Sisters, Oregon!! Very clean hotel. Great location! Alpacas a real plus for relaxation during these difficult times!! Our friends also stay here during the quilting festival.

Very Comfortable Bed and Pillows, wouldn't mind using the Jacuzzi but we are into the cold months now. Enjoy running around town as always. Breakfast was very nice, Covid time is crazy times, but they made breakfast for you of your choosing. Thank you!

While the room was clean, the Lodge was very noisy and the breakfast was meager and cold. The lamas were cute but didn't make up for the room. We usually stay in Best Western Lodges, but prolly won't go back to this one.

We recently were evacuated from our home in McKenzie Bridge due to a wildfire and ended up at the Ponderosa. The staff was kind and helpful. When we told them we had been displaced they offered a significant discount. The breakfast was hot and very good with several options.

BWP has beautiful rooms! My wife and I stayed in a room upstairs. The room had vaulted ceilings, a small four person table, a spa tub, walk in shower, fireplace, etc. This place was very clean, had a porch and was surrounded by ponderosa pines as much of (all of) Sisters, OR is. BWP was located approximately a 5 minute drive from downtown Sisters and was nice and close to lots of great hikes. It took us less than 25' to drive to the base of Black Butte where we hike the Historic Black Butte Trail. All in all, this was a lovely place, and I would highly recommend it if you are looking for a somewhere nice to stay in Sisters, OR.

We stayed at the BW Ponderosa Lodge in Sisters, Oregon. The outside is very lovely, surrounded by tall trees and lush grass. The room was very clean, comfortable, with a cabin vibe. Check in was easy and the staff member was very friendly as well as informative regarding their pool, which is outdoors and lovely. We brought our Bichon Friese, there were other dogs as well. It was still quiet and the grounds were clean. No dog poo anywhere that I saw. Room didn't smell like dog either. We will definitely stay there again. Hot breakfast smelled great although we just had coffee and bananas. Excellent stay!

We stayed here at the end of a weeklong road trip to the Oregon Coast. This was before the wildfires of early September 2020 when many people were evacuated to Sisters. The hotel is centrally located at the rotary just East (?) of downtown Sisters (tourist shops). Our clean, large, high-ceiling first-floor room was pet-friendly (a little basket with treats & poop bags was given us at check-in. It had a nice patio with chairs, and looked out on green lawn & pool (which families were enthusiastically using despite pandemic). I was very tempted...but thoughts of what was in the water...no thanks! There was also a petting zoo (mostly deer?) and deer wandered the property too. Which made me reluctant to take the dogs very far during their 3am potty run (fear of predators...) For the amusement of the staff who may read this: we had our dogs with us on this one week trip. One dog would not poop, we were constantly worried we were bad dog owners and kept wondering where to take him to a local vet. When we got to BWPL, he had one surprise (to him) almost nose-to-nose encounter with a gentle fawn and VOILA< no further constipation worries. So thank you, BW, for that petting zoo! Another plus was that hotel was providing full breakfast included with room price. The menu was basic bacon & eggs, toast, juice, and coffee ON A TRAY to be taken to your room but if you're on a road trip, that added convenience (saving time & money) allows you to get off to an efficient start! This all reminds me how every BW is different and don't cross-off BW from your potential hotels. Read the reviews!

We had a large room with comfy King size bed with balcony overlooking pool and large grassy area. Very clean room and area. Close to downtown for dining and grocery store is across the street. Nice quiet area.

We come here at least once a year on our way down to Bend/Sunriver/La Pine and the kids say it's their favorite part of the trip. Facilities are clean, staff are kind and helpful, and it's an excellent location. We may skip the trip to Sunriver next year and just stay here!

We were on our honeymoon and decided to spend two days in Sisters, Oregon for some hiking. We chose this hotel because of the favorable reviews. We selected a suite and we were excited to check in at 4 PM. However, the two service desk receptionists took exception to our service dog and indicated that we were not allowed to have a pet in our suite because of their pet policy. They explained that we should have previously indicated that we were arriving with a service dog and would've not been allowed to reserve a room on the second floor. We tried to explain to them that the ADA law does not require us to indicate a service dog will be traveling with us and explained a service dog is not a pet. Both were very rude and told us that if we were going to stay in their establishment it was going to be on the first floor in a pet friendly room which none were available and continued to hint to find another hotel. We had our service dog paperwork and the relevant section of the ADA laws printed to present. We tried to explain to them that they cannot discriminate access to the suite because of my husband's service dog. The older gentleman said "It's not a cat it's a dog so it's a pet or whatever you want to call it an animal so it needs a pet friendly room." After multiple attempts to explain ADA law and them explaining they knew the law they finally came around and provided us the suite. Best western service desk receptionists need additional training on how to handle and treat customers with service dogs before they actually discriminate by refusing disabled individuals. It's beyond belief that a major hotel chain is unfamiliar with the ADA laws. A service dog is not a pet and cannot be used as the source of denying equal access.

The hotel has really great reviews, but my experience was quite the opposite and took me by surprise. Upon arrival we found lots of rodent poop all over our bed. BW had no other rooms available, and the front desk was quite rude. They changed the sheets and vacuumed but mentioned it must be "fresh" (added a phycological factor, we didn't sleep well thinking a critter was in there). I paid $300+ for a King Suite to NOT deal with this type of situation - it ruined our trip. After Chase and myself discussed this with the manager Ryan Layne, he offered A) Comp a FUTURE room at the hotel, or B) Refund the room 50%. This is sleezy behavior - if you're willing to lose the price of a room at some point, pay that to the room that was not up to the hotel (or health code) standards. To plan a new trip would cost me more in the end. He was very rude, and said they "live in the woods" and can only do so much. I will think twice at staying at BW next time. I can camp in my tent in the woods for much cheaper and have a better experience than to pay this much for an unsanitary room. We would have slept in our car if our baby wasn't with us. I was completely disappointed with how my issue was handled - disappointed in the lodging, the experience, the resolution, and especially the staff/management at Ponderosa Lodge. I dealt with 2 employees, and both were unpleasant. I find it hard to imagine that BW would employ people of this caliber, let alone promote them and associated with their brand. I am sure they will see this and reply, making me look like the bad guy. Such is life, you decide...

My husband and I had been wanting to stay here for several years but always ended up somewhere else... Five Pines (overpriced) Black Butte (poor customer service) until making a trip especially to experience the Ponderosa. The setting looked beautiful, the Alpacas were a hoot and the location was nice. But the vibe just wasn't there. I cant put my finger on it. The hotel is much bigger than it looks and the view is only of what you see from the road. I'm not sure what I expected, but was a little disappointed nonetheless. Maybe it was years of anticipation... who knows, but it was really just fine. Nothing to rave about aside from the AMAZING customer service when I called to reserve a room. Check in was fine too. But that was really it. I did enjoy the walk into Sisters and checking out the Alpacas. I'm not certain we'll be back or keep on searching for our perfect place.

Upon closer inspection it was not as clean as we had anticipated especially during Covid times. The toilet was not clean (I won't go into detail...but yuck) and there were surfaces that clearly had not been cleaned. In the morning we noticed stains on the sheets. I would not recommend this place during the epidemic at the very least.

First time stay at the Ponderosa Lodge. It is a great place - we have two dogs and the accommodations are terrific. The grounds and location is wonderful. We had an issue with the room we were assigned and asked the staff if we could get another room. They moved us without hesitation. The front desk staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We would recommend this hotel for anyone travelling. Excellent experience.

Loved the location, alpacas, room decor, overall comfort, and amenities offered. Helpful staff,clean room and grounds. Grab and Go breakfast options. Did not use the pool, but it looked great. Super convenient location.

This was a nice hotel with an outdoor pool and Covid-safe outside entrances. The rooms looked nice and I liked all of the trees around the lodge. I liked all of the balconies and on the second floor you could have a private balcony for looking out at the trees. On the first floor you can have a back entrance to play on the grass or look at the alpacas. I also like the name of the Best Western Ponderosa Lodge. I assume that the name is because of the trees. I like it there.

Our room was large (suite) and spacious and had all the amenities needed and was spotlessly clean. The staff was very friendly and the grounds were beautiful. We were disappointed though that the alpacas were not there during our stay. Our room was not cleaned during our two days and our garbage was overflowing. The bagged breakfast consisted of all carbs so being diabetic we had to go out to breakfast. I had been looking forward to a hot breakfast. The restaurants are open so why isn't the breakfast room here? I know sometimes things do not go as planned so we will come again and give them another chance to make things perfect.

Assigned to a filthy room with poop plugged toilet the first night--moved. Sack lunch with frozen banana as substitute for a continental breakfast, and no maid service. All poor service explained away by COVID-19--I recommend just staying away from this hotel.

I got stuck overnight in Sisters, Or and needed a last minute hotel. The staff were amazing. The hotel is beautiful, very clean and smelled brand new. It was very quiet and peaceful, and a truly beautiful hotel.

Don't tell anyone. Room and amenities were the best I've ever been in. Rustic, but perfect with room, warmth and a spa. Large room, comfortable bed, feathered pillows, fireplace, spa, and Kuerig coffee, a refrigerator we could keep our traveling stuff.

Very first time in Sisters. What a great place. Very clean, food was awsome and the people were so nice and helpful. Pondarosa was very nice, vary clean, awsome staff. We will for sure be going back to Sisters.

We absolutely loved the western decour of the best western ponderosa in Sisters. our room was spacious clean and we loved the vaulted ceiling. We will definitely be back and for several nights stay next time. And the Ponderosa will be our destination.

Great get away. Get the suite, upper floor, it's like a mountain cabin. Very nice. Only a few minutes to town. Close to restaurants, bars, shops and outdoor activity. Quiet, far enough from highway to sleep well.

I've been using this motel for several years, and it's the only motel that I'll use within 30 miles even if I have to travel extra miles to reach my desired location. The quality has increased and the price has only increased slightly.

The rules for being a Best Western Plus and Premiere are very particular and apparently this property lacks an elevator and an on-site restaurant which would allow it to be a Plus property. But in terms of the setting, the in room amenities (at least on the Jacuzzi rooms), this hotel is the equal of the few Premiere hotels i've stayed at. The Jacuzzi rooms are enormous which is the first thing you notice about them but as you look around and spend more time, this is a whole lot more than just an over-sized room. The furnishings are in a beautiful log cabin style decor. The shower isn't just big, isn't just a walk-in but it's a beautiful doorless walk-in with an enormous rain style shower head. The gas fireplace adds visual and literal warmth. The couch and living area are actually inviting and there is (oddly to me) even a separate wet bar with dishwasher area. There might have been a microwave, I didn't really examine that area very closely because it wasn't of use to me on this visit. I have been to this property about 5 times and it's truly a stand out and a very good value in my opinion.

Whenever we go to Sisters, we check to see if there are rooms available at this hotel. It is in the perfect location to skiing and going into the little town and walking around. The staff is amazing and willing to help with whatever they can. I highly recommend you give this place a stay and I promise you'll keep coming back.

Friendly staff, quiet space, beautiful clean rooms, scrumptious breakfast. We had a suite which had a jacuzzi. Cupboards, microwave, refridgerator, fireplace, huge shower, deep sink in the kitchen area.

My wife and our Pomeranian stayed here for 2 nights and we were welcomed and treated like family. Ever staff member we encountered were friendly and always asked if there was anything they could do for us. They offer a full spread breakfast, eggs, biscuits, gravy, sausage, bacon,waffles, yogurt, coffee, juice and more, all fresh and good quality. Will absolutely stray here next trip to Sisters.

This hotel has a great setting, tucked in a wooded area a bit off the road. There are some good restaurants very close. The rooms are spacious and the decor in the room was stunning. I would have expected to pay a lot more for a room this nice.

Very comfortable and attractive place. We stayed here 3 nights on our Bend excursion. It's close to the national parks and Sisters is a cool little town. Free breakfast was typical but still hot and appetizing. The room was quiet; it close to the main highway but the noise wasn't an issue. I slept great. And they have alpacas in a large grassy area on the property. Nicely done.

I stayed in Sisters for a couple of days, and enjoyed the Ponderosa Lodge. It's set-up like a motel (outdoor entries to the rooms), but has the quality of a more traditional hotel. The rooms are larger, and although they show signs of age and wear, they seem to be kept clean and in decent repair. The breakfast is excellent, with homemade items catered by a local restaurant, I believe. The furniture and finishes have Western themed touches, with natural wood furniture, etc. Overall, a nice hotel and a pleasant visit.

Management went out of the way to make this experience comfortable. The staff were polite, friendly, and helpful. I have been going there for years, and this is clearly one of the best experiences. Things have gotten better.

This place was absolutely wonderful! The fireplace was wonderful, jacuzzi tub was fabulous and we even got an awesome Christmas Day snow. It was like being in a hallmark movie! This hotel was like stepping into the West with its large timbers and cozy warmth decor. I hope to return and stay much longer to enjoy this beautiful town!

I travel for business about 40%. This stay was for leisure. The staff performs way above what anybody could expect. I Shall Return! Stayed int the Aspen Suite. Everything worked and it was very comfortable.

We wanted to get away but not go to far so we went to Sister's. Was not expecting much from hotel, but it was a Great place to stay. It was quiet, everyone was very helpful. Our room was excellent. We will be coming back for a quick night getaway.

Loved the room with fireplace and hot tub. Outside of the building is pretty stand basic motel. nothing much to look at. Office location wasn't well defined when driving in. Hard to park there. Ice machine was hard to find. Room itself was super.

The rooms, location and management are excellant. Traffic is a problem in Sisters and the location of this motel reduces some of the problems. It is quiet with little traffic noise or motel noise, has acceptable amenities.

We were upgraded to amazing suite when the heater in our 2-queen standard room did not work. It was gorgeous! We were overwhelmed! We were celebrating our 49th wedding anniversary but had decided to be frugal and rent a standard room. The staff was wonderful and made us feel very special.

BW Ponderosa Inn is a great business traveler's lodging option. Nice amenities in-room and grounds. Location is close to commercial districts. Easy to schedule, check-in and check-out. People are helpful.

Friendly, helpful staff. Great setting with a big, pleasant grounds and a pool/spa wisely set away from the rooms. Spacious, comfortable room. Great mattress. Good, hot breakfast. We had a king room (not suite) and thought it was well worth the price. When I left my iPad behind I was promptly called and they promised to mail it to me that same day. When we are in Sisters this will be the only place we stay.

This is a hidden gem in Sisters Oregon. Set back from HWY 22 a little and easily missed on the North end of town it is such a nice hotel. Clean rooms, helpful staff and breakfast supplied by a local restaurant make this a special place. The hotel property is in the midst of huge Ponderosa Pines and the scent is in the air. We had a king suite and it was very comfortable and a good value.

Beautiful setting in Sisters OR. Lovely hotel, clean, suburb rooms! Stayed in Aspen suite, plenty of room, gas fireplace, rain shower, extensive breakfast. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, accommodating housekeeping. We continue to come here for getaways.

The upstairs rooms have vaulted ceilings, they are clean and quiet. It almost feels like you're in a park when you stay here. Lots of cute Alpacas across the field and we even saw some deer resting near by. The breakfast is great. They had scrambled eggs with cheese and veggies that were outstanding. The woman working the breakfast area was great, kept things clean and stocked, and with a friendly smile.

Extremely clean, comfortable room, and really REALLY quiet! I was in a ground floor room and heard nothing from neighboring rooms, the parking area or the roads. This place checked off everything on my check list: Dog friendly: extremely! Dog basket with a blanket as well as a sheet and some treats. Carpeted room (she likes to be on the bed and jumping off onto non carpeted surfaces are daunting if not dangerous). Large, convenient, well kept dog area. Clean. Very! Parking: awesome! Roomy spaces (yes, I have parking issues - I hate worrying about getting door dings). Parking right in front of the room. Breakfast: great coffee! Decent selection of actual breakfast stuff (b&g, scrambled eggs, sausage links, potatoes). Staff were all friendly, efficient and professional during check in, breakfast, and check out. Highly recommend!

I can't say enough about this excellent hotel. From check in to check out, the service was superb. The room I had, a king suite was amazing. It was so spacious, had a fireplace, Jacuzzi tub, Pendleton blankets, a huge living room, 2 TVs. The amenities just go on and on. I would highly recommend this hotel.

This trip was a spontaneous trip to see the Fall colors between Salem and Sisters. We called the hotel and the clerk was so helpful and made it possible for us to bring our elderly mother by getting us a room for her handicap. We enjoyed the forest and the bright red trees from our window. Happy memories!

The Ponderosa Lodge is our go to destination for a mini vacation. . The staff is always working to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The grounds are meticulously maintained. There is a large grassy area for people and pets to enjoy. The outdoor pool was closed for the winter but the hot tub was open. The lodge is close to outdoor opportunities to enjoy. Sisters is a fun little town and Bend is 20 minutes away.

Definitely enjoyed our two night stay. The room was clean, comfortable, even had a balcony. Breakfast was good, but too many people in the small eating area, however, weather was nice enough to find a table outside. Guest services were excellent as well. Location was very quiet and peaceful, beautiful surroundings. Price was a little more than what we normally pay at Best Western, but well worth it. Will come back for sure.

I enjoyed my stay here more than any hotel that I have been to. The room was fantastic and my wife and I loved staying there. The staff was always friendly and attentive. we just thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

During our ten day road trip, this place was by far the best of all. The grounds were immaculate, as was our room. The property is well maintained and offers lots of areas to take advantage of the outside. You may even get some llama love as they have some on the grounds. Laundry facilities for guests, free breakfast in the morning, friendly and accommodating staff... this place covered every base superbly.

I say that to get your attention... we stayed there two nights (wished it could have been more) everything was perfect .. big room, excellent pool and hot tub .. GREAT breakfast. ...except for this one guy that took it upon himself to complain (excessively) to the sweet attendant, Teresa, that the breakfast room was tooooo small (obviously her fault ) I don't think he would have been happy if Jesus Christ had served him... Teresa, kept apologizing, that guy wore me out, I would have given him the direction to a place downstairs, but no .... Teresa was a sweet girl!!! If ever in Sisters, stay here, it's great and maybe that a Obnoxious guy, won't be there!!! The hotel, location, and setting is the best!!

We absolutely recommend this Best Western Property. The facility, surroundings, and staff are always top notch. The staff is always pleasant, responsive, helpful, and professional. The property grounds are wonderful, and you can't go wrong with the location. We thoroughly enjoy the suites.

We had a beautiful suite overlooking a large green lawn and pool in a setting of pine trees. There was a herd of llamas including many babies on the property, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Very friendly staff and great hot breakfast. Will stay again.

We love staying at B/W Ponderosa for our E. OR vacations. Whether it's Crater-Lake, Monkey-Rock or Blue-Basin, this hotel is the perfect location. It's also a beautiful building/property, and even has pet Alpacas!!

The Best Western Ponderosa Lodge is one of our favorite hotels. The grounds are beautiful and so well maintained. Their rooms are always clean and well stocked with supplies. The beds are comfortable and the room temperature can be adjusted to our preference level. The towels are made of quality material and absorbent. We love the patios and chairs they provide and the fast internet. The alpacas are adorable and fun to watch, and the swimming pool is the best!

Stopped here on my way home from a work trip. Glad I did. Beautiful setting in the pines. Nice and quiet. The room was perfect with a nice balcony. Friendly service by all staff. Complimentary hot breakfast, not the usual "hot" continental. I'll definitely stay here again.

We would recomend every one to try this Lodge if you haven't. The staff definitely want to please. They are pleasant and cheerful. Makes you want to come back. It is close enough to town that you could walk to most places.

We stayed at the B-W Ponderosa in Sisters on 8/31 and 9/1/19, two couples on a central Oregon trip for waterfalls, hiking and scenic beauty. This hotel was great and the price was surprisingly reasonable. What we appreciated: location in a quiet and wooded yet convenient area close to a nice supermarket where we could pick up our picnic lunch supplies; nice grounds and place for kids to run around backing up to a fenced field of friendly alpacas; the exceptional breakfast, see photo below (the egg scramble with spinach, tomatoes and cheese was wonderful, so were the hash browns and bacon-far better than any other free breakfast on our trip); Starla the breakfast room attendant was terrific and all the other staff we met were also friendly and helpful, they even gave us some bottled water no charge; our room was nice-sized, squeaky clean and well-appointed with a comfy bed and nice split bath arrangement (two sink/vanities); and the front door opened to the outside parking area making it easy to load our car with coolers etc. We would definitely stay here again.

Another one of those hotels where we wished to stay a little while longer. Unfortunately, we only stayed for one night. The hotel is wonderful and we felt very comfortable from the minute we set foot on the property. All rooms face the pool, ground levels have patios, upper floor has a balcony with fly screen doors. The room is spacious and cozy. It's been very clean. Our hair dryer lost it but staff quickly provided us with a spare one. They were very attentive. The hotel also provides free Wi-Fi however, someone ran over a telephone pole so no Wi-Fi the entire stay. We decided to spend some time in the pool instead. It comes with lots of pool towels. We had a wonderful time here. Next time, we'll stay a little while longer.

The Best Western Ponderosa in Sisters was a truly nice place to stay while exploring the area. The beds were very comfortable, the room was very clean, and the breakfast was above the usual being catered by a local restaurant. The alpaca farm on the side of the hotel was a bonus! It's set back from the main road in a quieter area, but near lots of stores and restaurants. Check in and check out was easy and quick, and the front desk people were very friendly and helpful. They also keep the grounds and hanging flowers in front in great shape which adds to the ambiance.

My mom, sister and I stayed here for one night a week ago. We reserved a room with 2 dbl beds on the 2nd floor. It looked just like the pictures. It was clean and had a sink in the bathroom and one just outside of the bathroom. The beds were comfortable and the grounds were quiet. We did not get to the outdoor pool and hot tub ( nice size hot tub-looked like it could accommodate 8-10 comfortably). The breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts we ever had. I believe the employee name was Starla, she ran the breakfast room and took a lot of pride in her work. She kept everything stocked and cleaned and made suggestions. The food is from a local restaurant. Basic scrambled eggs (not powdered), and a scramble with spinach, onions, bell peppers, and cheese, hash browns, biscuits and gravy, sausage, waffles, and cereals. Good coffee. We would definitely stay again. Decent room rate. We stayed here to break up the drive to Crater Lake.

Stayed here over the Labor Day weekend and had a blast seeing the area. The hotel is nice and big. There are places to enjoy outdoors all over the place around you. The room was big and had a jet tub. Loved the walk in shower too. Pool was nice. The biggest plus if you are an animal lover is the Alpaca that they keep on the grounds. tons of them. They are so cool. We will stay here again when we come to town.

The hotel staff was friendly, courteous, very accommodating and pleasant. Our room was clean and accessible. My wife and I were on a 6 day, multi state motorcycle ride. The staff put us in a room very close to the parked motorcycle. The grounds and pool area were beautiful and very well kept. The town of Sisters is beautiful;. There is a number of good eating establishments right across the street. Over all very nice experience. I would highly recommend the Best Western Ponderosa Lodge in Sisters, Oregon.

Plans for our rental house in Sunriver got thwarted at the last minute; and we found ourselves without a place to stay and a deep desire to keep our vacation plans. And, because it was central Oregon in August - nearly every place we looked was sold-out. That was . . . with the exception of the Best Western Ponderosa Lodge. I must admit - I wasn't holding out a lot of hope for our stay . . . boy, was I wrong. The BW Ponderosa Lodge is perfect. Great location. Recently remodeled rooms. Extremely friendly staff. Beautiful grass area for all manner of outdoor activity. Clean, heated pool. Dog friendly. And, super friendly alpacas for the kids to marvel. We stayed in a Fireside Suite - and it was worth the upgrade. Extra space and seating area for board games and evening fun. The ground floor rooms - although a bit louder - offered an indoor-outdoor feel that allowed us to make the room seem even larger. My only complaint - and it is not something the management can really control - a fair number of the guests smoke. Although the hotel and entire campus are "smoke free" - the guest two rooms down from us, sat out on her patio and smoked . . . frequently. Alas - the hotel has so many other really wonderful positive aspects, that we could look past the smoker and enjoyed a lovely three night extended weekend stay. We will be back!

We've been meaning to travel to Sisters for a while now, but somehow it just never fit in our route. We organize an annual motorcycle ride and this year we finally made it! 10 motorcycles and 15 people. The staff were very welcoming and informative and arranged for our motorcycles to be parked together. The rooms were very well accommodated and comfortable. We were within walking distance of a restaurant - Takoda's - and we enjoyed our outdoor dining. The Alpaca herd in the field between the Lodge and the restaurant were fascinating and an interesting extra. You can even buy Alpaca yarns in the Lodge office. They think of everything!

There was not good wi fi . The office overcharged for one of my nights and could not credit it back when leaving. Manager nice then later called to say I had some more credits to my favor , I will use them on my next stay in San Jose area. I did not want to give my credit card again over the phone, overall experience super, and the taxi service recommended was superb.

This is the place to stay when visiting Sisters. Good location, quiet, clean, comfortable, nice pool area, well-staffed, with a good complimentary breakfast. During warm weather seasons, enjoy a beverage outside your room while watching llamas graze a pasture adjoining the motel property. This was my third stay here. Each one has been pleasant. Entering from Hwy 20? In the round about, go east on Barclay Drive. The motel entrance is on the left.

The Grounds and Lodge itself were beautiful, the rooms were fantastic, spacious with fireplace and whirlpool tub, and plenty of room to enjoy the scenery. They had a herd of rescue Alpacas grazing in a field right next to the lodge, which made the scenery even more peaceful. Our rooms were huge and relaxing and I cannot say enough about the hotel staff. Our Continental breakfast was better than most continental breakfasts and we were so close to town it was almost walking distance. We had a great time and would definitely choose this place again!!!

Just got through two nights of sleep deprivation from a ground floor room-put a huge dent in a family trip, probably the thinnest roof I can remember. Staff is friendly, rooms are huge, breakfast is great and location is hard to beat. But I will go elsewhere for sleep-you can hear every single thing above you, 24/7.

The Aspen suite was amazing.The room was big and spacious.Had everything we needed.The bed was so comfy.Great view of the grounds and pool area,and the alpacas.Great maid service.Sure dont have nothing bad to say about this place.

We had a suite with a jacuzzi tub. Large room with a king size bed which was very comfortable. The shower was huge and had a very nice rainfall head. Nice balcony to sit and have a drink. I would love to stay her again.

Although the room was nice, clean and quiet, the lack of an elevator was a huge inconvenience. I was traveling for a conference and had a large suitcase packed with my supplies. I had to leave it in my car trunk and rummage through it daily to get my supplies ready. I asked for a 1st floor room, but was told none were available. Free wifi... what a joke. My room was in the center of the building and the wifi did not work there... not on my iphone, my ipad and barely on my laptop. In this day and age, you really need to have adequate wifi. Great breakfast with fresh fruit, strong coffee, scrambled eggs with veggies and cheese, yogurt and bacon or sausage. You won't go hungry here. The grounds are beautiful as the hotel is set in a forest like area surrounded by pine trees. The highway is very near, but I didn't hear it.

What a beautiful hotel! We stayed in the suites building and our room was awesome! Good layout, spacious, well stocked and quiet. Loved the lodge feel and stone fireplace. The jetted tub was nice and the kitchenette even had a Keurig! It was lovely to look out the patio doors in the morning and see the alpacas in the field. Everything is clean and well kept. Staff is very friendly. It was also SO quiet! Our stay was beyond our expectations!

A lovely location next to a pine forest, great for dog walks. Very nice well kept grounds and pool. Large rooms with balconies or patios. Friendly helpful staff. A peaceful, restful place, much enjoyed.

I just got back from vacationing in Oregon and Washington. We stayed in 4 different Best Western hotels along the way, and the Ponderosa Lodge is truly in a league of its own! We decided to book the room with the Jacuzzi and fireplace. What a treat! It was absolutely beautiful. The free breakfast was good, and also catered by a local restaurant called the Sisters Saloon. The property around the hotel is lovely, and the hotel has its own herd of alpacas!! So fun to enjoy looking at, and you can buy alpaca yarn in the lobby! The location in Sisters is great for outdoor adventures. We used this as our home base for hiking Black Butte, Smith Rock State Park, and the Dee Wright Observatory. I would love to go back there again someday!

I made a reservation for 2 rooms for 2 nights 22 days in advance to arrival only to find out 48 hours before arriving no 2nd room. I had to call 3 times before I got a 2nd room for a 2nd night. The 4th call came in just hours before we left. Thankfully someone had cancelled and we were able to get their room. Then upon leaving I was over charged $80. Check your reservations prior to arriving.

Nice clean hotel. Nothing fancy but ok if passing through Sisters. We had a double queen room and the bed wasn't very comfortable but could have been worse. It was clean and that is the most important thing to me!

Help me store my frozen beef in their freezer by driving over in a four wheel , utility vehicle.. when I was checking out on Sunday, the 16th of June, I accidentally left my prescription, RayBan sun glasses on their counter, called them late afternoon. They found them and sent them the following day and I received them the following day by priority mail to my residence.

We needed to head over to Bend to move our daughter who is living now in Bend. We couldn't leave McMinnville until around 7:30 pm. We had stayed at the Ponderosa before and liked it. Got the great idea to just head over to Sister's, stay at the Ponderosa, get coffee the next morning at Sister's Coffee and then head into Bend. We are glad we did! The Ponderosa was as we remembered it. It's just a nice, clean friendly place to stay. It's as nice a motel as my wife and I need. We have already talked about just staying there whenever we need to head over to Bend

Staff are courteous and always try to make your stay better; breakfast has freshly cooked eggs/bacon and a wide range of other foods; the rooms are oversized and set among red barked ponderosa pines, there is a walking trail among behind the Lodge, the Lodge maintains many bird feeders so wonderful bird watching & the location is ideal for the town of Sisters.

This is a fabulous Best Western and the best one we have ever found! We earned a free overnight while traveling through California in March to visit relatives in Baja thanks to the Best Western rewards program and utilized it here to celebrate a birthday. They have absolutely great rooms and their spa/fireplace suites are a real treat. They have a western line motif and the best breakfast I believe I have ever had in a hotel. It is a full breakfast and is obtained from the nearby Sisters Saloon and includes two types of eggs, including regular scrambled and scrambled with cheese and veggies as well as waffles two types of bagels, yogurt cups by yoplait including a lactose free variety a yogurt machine to make your own yogurt sundae with nuts, coconut, chocolate chips and raisins available, bacon and sausage cold and hot cereal and bus kits and gravy three types of milk, including whole 2 per cent and skim, apple and orange juice, coffee, six varieties of tea including Earl Grey, my favorite, green, peppermint, orange spice, lemon lift and a few more and lots of mini muffins. The sausage and bacon are both great! They have had llamas in the past and are in the process of replacing them with alpacas shortly! Good free internet a great pool, albeit a bit cool for me and a nice hot tub also as well as a nice patio for picnics complete with chairs, umbrellas and tables as well as loungers at pool side and lots of birds and squirrels to keep you company also. A bit on the high side but well worth it! Absolutely beautiful! If you can afford to spring for the spa/fireplace king suites by all means do so! The staff is great including front desk, particularly the manager Leroy and the breakfast staff! Very highly recommended! Best rates are through the hotel website and directly through the hotel. Be sure to let them know if it is a special occasion and be sure to sign up for the rewards club even if you only visit BW occasionally as they often have great promotion!

We arrived for our reservations in a rain storm. The lights were out, not a problem, they let us in the room. Then we went into town just driving around. Couple hours later we went back. Lights were on!! Then the tv wouldn't work! Not a huge deal! The night manager came down and worked on it. Then asked if he could put us in a different room. Ended up in a beautiful suite!! Love the Best Western hotels!! I also needed an accessible room, they had no problem with that!!

Recently renovated, and the outdoor pool was warm and the hot tub hot for our April visit to Sisters, Oregon. Our room looked out over a green space and trees, and a group of deer entertained us early one morning. Breakfast was hot and tasty.

The grounds at this hotel are beautiful, well kept . They have old wagons on the grounds . The jacuzzi was nice and hot with strong jets . The staff was nice. We will definitely be staying at this hotel again.

First time staying at the Ponderosa Lodge. Our suite far exceeded our expectations. The location is fantastic in relation to downtown Sisters. The staff was super friendly and the grounds were beautiful. We had 2 teenagers with us who where able to use a path and skateboard all over, including into town. We will definitely return.

There was not a weak spot in the customer service from our call for help (we were very discouraged in Bend) to find good lodging at a late hour - to the check in - we enjoyed the staff and lodge so much we extended for an extra night - I do not believe 10 is a high enough score for the Ponderosa Lodge in Sisters, Oregon -- (we traveled from out of state)

My husband and I spent one night in Sisters, and chose this hotel based on the overall good ratings. It's set just off the main roads, so there is light traffic noise, but behind the hotel is extensive National Forest lands so you hear lots of bird sounds and feel like you're out in nature. The small lobby was welcoming, and staff exceptionally friendly. There are 2 main buildings, both with 2 stories and no elevator so we asked for a 1st floor room and could park right in front. The room was spacious with a good sized sitting area, leather couch, table and 2 chairs, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, closet and 2 part bathroom...a sink/mirror/counter as you enter the bathroom and another sink/counter/mirror in the bathroom itself where there's a toilet and tub/shower. Decor was lovely and had a woodsy lodge feel with wooden beams across the ceiling and over the sliding glass door which opened onto a private patio. The platform bed was comfy although the bedding was very light without much weight. An extra blanket was provided in the closet. I was told by one of the desk clerks that rooms were just updated last year. Everything including the hotel grounds was well maintained, other than a few places where the edges of sidewalks were crumbling and could use repair. The wifi worked well, and the room was well lit. We could hear the people above us walking around at times, but it wasn't a big issue. The free breakfast had a good variety of food items including hot egg dishes and meats. There was a waffle maker, breads, cereals, yogurts, fruit, etc. The only things I wished they offered were freshly made oatmeal rather than the instant type and plain yogurt. The swimming pool was closed, but there was a hot tub. We would stay here again if in the area.

We have stayed at other places in Central Oregon near Sisters and Bend, but we always come back to the Ponderosa because they can't compare to any other hotel we stayed at! The staff are fabulous the food is so good because it's catered from Sisters Saloon, the rooms are fantastic, large and welcoming! We made the mistake of staying at another place in Bend for one night and we definitely were so thankful to get back to the Ponderosa in Sisters! It is family-friendly and they're very careful if you are a woman traveling with children they purposely place you close to the office in order to make a safe space for you. I appreciate this attention to detail! Stay here you won't regret it!

We stayed at this hotel for three nights. Below us, in the Ponderosa Room, was a Men's Religious Retreat. They played booming music starting at 8:30 AM and continuing until 10:00 PM. We could not stay in our room.

Location was great. Off the main road so quiet. Surrounded by forest. Friendly front desk staff. Breakfast was really good! Wasn't expecting such a good free breakfast. Had a nice stay and would come back again.

We had come to sisters for a wedding. We were traveling with 2 adults and 3 teenage boys. The room was large enough. The beds were incredibly comfortable. Everything was so clean. The people so incredibly helpful and kind. Everybody enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. Beautiful land around the hotel. Will certainly stay there again if in sisters again

Lovely wknd get away to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. we always come to the best western ponderosa inn a couple times a year and we always have a lovely relaxing time. This is our get away place and we love it

If you stay in a jacuzzi suite be prepared to have poor WiFi signal along with no hot water due to the fact the jacuzzi rooms share the same hot water heater and the jacuzzis take a lot of hot water!!

Extremely clean. Kept updated!! Unusually large rooms. Best suites we have every been in and we have traveled for over 50 years around the world. Extremely large hot tub outside that is covered with a high cover. Very comfortable beds. Large number of condiments out by coffee pot. Sink inside toilet area and one out so the room is wider than most by about 3 feet. It is also longer. Great views into trees, especially from suites. Bathroom in suite is huge with a extremely large shower area. All furniture is comfortable and the nightstands have charging stations by the lights which is really helpful when charging a cell phone! Porch is large as well. No elevator if you have mobility issues make sure you ask for a ground floor. Steps are outside but have excellent grip attached to them.Excellent location for visiting Sisters, Bend and surrounding area. Staff were extra friendly and helpful. Breakfast was unusually good for a motel! It is catered in. Regular scrambled eggs and some with items in them. Good flavor. Lots of options and good seating. Warning: prices vary greatly!! Try to go during the week or a non busy time. We went on a Thursday and got a great senior rate. It can be double during busy times so check it out carefully. It is worth the time spent doing so.

I got to stay here 1 night because the roads were getting bad with ice and snow. This is one of the nicest Best Westerns that I've stayed at. Check in was a breeze and my room was upstairs. It was clean, bed was huge and the balcony with chairs was so nice and peaceful to sit and look out across the property. The Shower...oh my gosh people... the shower had water pressure! It was just like home! The free breakfast in the morning is catered in by a local restaurant. Top notch food! On this trip the driveway got blocked by a semi truck and for about 90 minutes no one could leave the hotel...but the staff did not miss a beat... the coffee flowed and great conversations were had and they showed that they cared!! I cant wait to visit again! They have senior discount, Triple A member discount to name a few.Check this place out!

This was a great place for 14 of us old dudes to get together for a week of snowboarding. Super surprised with the breakfast, super good selection and the waffle maker was the show stealer. Everyone on the staff was super friendly, rooms were clean and turned down each day if you wanted. I would stay again with my family.

We have stayed many times at the ponderosa. I prefer the suites, but they are not dog friendly. We usually bring our dog.The lady who runs the breakfast area is super helpful. I believe she said one of the restaurants caters part of their breakfast for them.. It was excellent.

Very quite. Got a great night sleep. Staff was prompt and added extra towels, soap and shampoo for the three of us which worked out great since we went to Hoodoo and came back soaked and cold. The property is set back from the highway so it is very quiet. Checked out at 10:15 they asked if we had eaten breakfast and they had some left and told us to eat what we want if there was something we wanted they would get it for us.

Came to Best Western to start my birthday weekend. Greeted with a smile by Troy at the office. We booked a king, Troy was gracious enough to upgrade us to a suite. So, so happy, love our room. Thank you Troy!!

Very spacious double queen room in western lodge-style motel set among ponderosa pines away from the highway. Very clean, everything worked. We love having a fridge, microwave and 2 sinks. Room size, furnishings and breakfast way above average for this motel class.

Staff is not only very accommodating, but fun. When they say “continental breakfast,” that's an understatement. Their breakfast is as good as you can get at any restaurant (including waffles, scrambled egg options, bacon, sausage and biscuits and gravy). And the rooms are very welcoming, clean, and tastefully decorated “western,” as you'd hope for this location.

We planned on one night, stayed 3 because of the mountain passes being closed. The employees at the front desk and the poor housekeeper that was able to make it to work because of the snow storm were amazing! We had a blast playing games and just watching it snow. The room was perfect and we felt comfy cozy. Couldn't have been in a better place to get stuck.

We had a great stay. We originally planned on just 2 nights but we got snowed in and had to stay a 3rd. The staff was all extremely helpful. The hot breakfast was perfect. Sand the entire place was kept clean with staff constantly keeping up with the snow. We plan on making this a yearly trip.

Really nice hotel with comfy beds, fireplaces, and large in-room hot tubs...very romantic! Close to all the shops and restaurants in Sisters, as well as many of the outdoor adventures in and around Central Oregon (Metoleus River, Black Butte, Pacific Crest Trail, and even Smith Rock to name just a few).

We had a great stay. The room was clean and the service was on point! The only issue I ran into was the hot water ran out later in the evening. Probably due to everyone using their jacuzzi tub. We used ours earlier so it didnt affect our soak. The breakfast was wonderful and derive during breakfast was great! Overall we enjoyed our weekend away and cant wait to return.

In the past we always stayed away from Best Western because we never thought of it as a nice place to stay. But after staying at this one, we have been looking for other Best Western hotels to stay in wherever we go.

I attend a yearly dental conference here, and this place is absolutely fantastic! Each room is amazing, the staff is phenomenal, and it's at a beautiful location. I can't recommend it highly enough! I'm already looking forward to next year:D

Everything about the hotel was nice. The breakfast was above my expectation and Starla warmed up biscuits for us and made hot chocolate. The eggs were very good. The outdoor hot tub was nice, but could have been a little cleaner. I wish they would heat their pool and keep it open year round. We had a suite which was very nice and clean. The housekeeping staff were very helpful and professional.

This place was the best place we have stayed in the past year. We got royal service and beautiful accommodations. Food is great selection and way above average hospitality. I will definately stay again when in sisters,Oregon.

I have stayed here several times when going to the Sisters Rodeo or other events. Definately a 5 star motel and worth the price. Great location, pool, hot tub, continental breakfast, décor and service.

If you want clean rooms, great atmosphere, and excellent service - this is your destination is Sisters, Oregon. Breakfast offering is a big plus, the new wing (west side of the property) has more updated rooms and has the suites.

My wife and I love to visit Sisters, Oregon to ski at Hoodoo Ski Area at least twice per year. We have found Ponderosa Lodge a very comfortable and friendly location to stay. Ponderosa Lodge is close to Sisters for shopping and dining and a wonderful place to relax after a full day of enjoying the slopes at Hoodoo Ski Resort.

Stayed in the king suite. Super spacious room and had comfortable bed. Pendleton blankets on the bed were a plus. Also had a cozy fireplace. Friendly and helpful staff. Overall hotel was charming western theme

My family always stays here when we need accommodations in the area. Everyone at the front desk is always friendly and knowledgeable. My son especially enjoys feeding the animals. We have used the pool numerous times and it is always pleasant. Our rooms have been spotless with excellent bedding, mattresses and pillows. We highly recommend this establishment and are surprised it is only a 2 and a half star resort.

We always enjoy staying at the Ponderosa when in Sisters. Room was clean and comfortable. Dog friendly. Breakfast was amazing. Two types of eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, biscuit and gravy as well as regular hotel breakfast food. Llamas were not there this time. Hopefully we will see them when we visit again. Recommend staying here.

Everything was as expected. Second time I stayed and wasn't disappointed. The Llamas were retired but I understand they will bring Alpacas in 2019. Will stay again in the future. Breakfast was excellent and choices ample . Location excellent close to supermarket and main street. Tv cable, fireplace , microwave, coffee machine, jacuzzi and refrigerator in the room

Love this hotel and will definitely be back! We stay in the suite and it is amazing! The jacuzzi tub, fireplace and overall view of the room is relaxing and just what we needed. The staff are great and the breakfast is yummy.

I highly recommend the Ponderosa Lodge. It was recently renovated, it's beautiful and the rates are reasonable. The staff is so friendly and helpful, especially Starla who went above and beyond to make our stay a wonderful experience.

Great place to stay. Love it here. Wouldn't rather be anywhere else during the Christmas season. Have you ever visited paradise, then you should come to Sisters and the Ponderosa Lodge. It will not let you down.

Will definitely stay there again. Next time we are going to stay in one suites. They have a Friendly staff at the front desk and the breakfast hostess was great. The Hotel is close to downtown but feels very country.

When we arrived at the Ponderosa Lodge, we explained that my husband has trouble sleeping and we needed a quiet room. The staff went out of their way to get us the quietest room possible for the night. Since I have really bad allergies, I immediately smelled wood shavings when we reached our room. Staff offered to move us, but our room was gorgeous and huge. There were two sinks in the bath area and tons of lovely towels. There was plenty of hot water and a moveable shower head. There was lots of knotty pine in the room, cathedral ceilings and a grassy area with a lot of trees. After leaving the balcony door open for a while, the smell seemed to dissipate. I had a lovely night's rest, as did my husband. After a wonderful breakfast with two types of scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon, good potatoes, and hot chocolate, we were on our way. The allergies did affect me the next morning, but they cleared up as soon as we left the area. Although a bit pricey, this place is definitely worth a stay. And don't miss the town of Sisters. It's cute and quaint and well worth the time walking through.

We did an overnight stop nd were pleasantly surprised by how nice the rooms were. The staff were good and the hot tub was a great place to relax in the evening. The outdoor pool was closed while we were there

Room decor and exterior is dated but the rooms are spacious. The toilet area is a knee knocker and if you are on crutches or have mobility issues it's a bit of an issue. There are 2 sinks which is nice. And the patio on the downstairs rooms is nice. Hard to find breakfast in the morning and the breakfast area gets easily crowded.

We loved everything about our stay here and look forward to doing it again soon! If I had to pick one thing that we didn't like, the pillows were pretty uncomfortable. Everything else was really great. The log cabin feel was very relaxing and the staff were all very friendly.

The hotel was clean and pleasant to stay in. We use this hotel again when I visit Sister, Oregon. Hotel safe was friendly and courteous. The room was not very handicapped friendly. My mother slipped and fell while trying to get out of the shower/tub.

The staff is great and the facility is pleasant, comfortable, and clean. We have stayed there previously, and will definitely use the Best Western Ponderosa in the future. In fact, during this trip, we booked another night on our way back from the coast. Great Option!

I've stayed here multiple times as it WAS about the only place to stay in Sisters Oregon. Thank goodness there's new hotels, because this will be my last stay here. $200 a night for a lumpy bed, small little bed pillows that slide around and require constant adjusting, and the worst... the absolute worst part is their bathroom products. Someone in charge wants to make sure you smell like a grandpa around here-ALL bath products are “warm oak”... it's old spice. I'm female and had to shower in what smells like cheap men's cologne. It's in the shampoo, conditioner, lotion and soap. Worst products ever. So I'm sitting here, been up all night adjusting pillows in my lumpy bed, and smelling the old spice everywhere. My hair is oily from the cheap shampoo so I'll attend my family function today with bags under my eyes, skin that's dried out from the perfumed lotion, and hair that looks greasy and smells like an old man. Thanks ponderosa... NEVER again. I'll go where the pillows are large, the bath products don't ruin my hair and skin, and the rooms aren't overpriced junk.

This was our 1st time here and were so impressed with the grounds to walk (great safe area if you have traveled with a dog), cleanliness of the grounds and also the pet friendly room we were in, quietness (even though it is fairly close to a main road), room decor was perfect for the woodsy setting and comfortable beds and to top it off a fantastic variety of foods for the complementary breakfast available. We had a great overnight stay and will definitely be back soon.

Based on reviews, we chose this hotel for our stay in Sisters even though it was pricey for a Best Western. The room was very impressive with log beams and a sliding door to a private patio. The location is beautiful. The mattress desperately needs replacing. It has lost all support and made for a somewhat restless night. The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant, especially the cheerful lady who manages the breakfast! She was a delight!

The Best Western Ponderosa Lodge is a well kept property just north of the main business area.The staff is attentive and the rooms are comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast is included, but there isn't much seating in their breakfast room, so get there early.

The Ponderosa Lodge has always been our first choice when staying in Sisters. The rooms are clean, up to date, and carry all the necessary amenities. The beds are the most comfortable I've experienced in a hotel and I had a great night's sleep. Breakfast was included and there were plenty of options to provide us with a nutritious and filling breakfast before our hike that day. Staff was friendly and helpful from start to finish. Location is very close to restaurants, a grocery store, and a nice, walkable downtown strip. You won't be disappointed if you choose to stay here!

We reserved a standard room for three nights, and due to construction in the standard rooms they upgraded us to a suite. Lucky us! Due to the construction, there were really very few people staying there, so we had the pool and hot tub almost to ourselves. The room was great, staff was friendly and helpful. The whole place was very quiet - back from the road far enough so no road noise. The only thing I could recommend improving would be the layout of the breakfast bar. There's an island in the middle of the buffet area, so people are crossing back and forth in a small space to get what they want. The could also use more space for tables for sitting to eat. Maybe in peak seasons more people take food back to their rooms? It would be challenging. As it was, with a small number of guests, we all managed.

The Ponderosa quickly became our preferred hotel in one of our favorite destinations! Beautiful Suites with jacuzzi tub and waterfall shower. Vaulted ceilings and fireplace with kitchenette. The grounds are well kept and the staff are friendly and helpful. What else do you need?

We first ended at The Ponderosa Lodge because of being tired and needed some where to stay. We were offered a deluxe suite with jacuzzi tub that blew our minds. Had the best time there and we were sold on this hotel. Why we stayed here was we were attending a concert in Bend and was extremely satisfied with our previous stay it was a no brainer to stay where you feel the comfort.

spent 2 nites while hiking in the 3 Sisters Wilderness. Excellent, large rooms with good amenities in an excellent location. Hot tub was wonderful after long hike as was the pool. Close to all that downtown Sisters has to offer. In my opinion easily the best deal in town!

Our group comes here every year for a few days. Rooms are large and have recently been updated. Pool and hot tub are clean and warm. Provided breakfast is good. Within walking distance to food and grocery store. Short walk or drive to town.

This was the second time we've stayed here. What a good base for visiting Sisters/ Camp Sherman area. Room was clean, well stocked and well maintained. Good shower, nice TV. The pool was a nice feature too. Great breakfast too. Our go to place in the area.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff was friendly and even offered a little gift basket for my dog! There's even a trail that leads to the national forest right behind the hotel. The room was incredibly clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and it's within walking distance to everything in Sisters and a short drive to Bend.

Wonderful 2 nights at this hotel. Very comfortable bed which I appreciate because of chronic low back pain. This was one of the better beds! The breakfast was warm and plentiful. The room was clean and nicely decorated. Very pleasant experience all the way around. The room had good internet connection. A little slow but I was never booted off like some other hotels. Would stay again!

I stay at this hotel most times when visiting Sisters, for either Quilt Show week or general recreation. I've always had a great experience. I enjoyed the updated interiors of the rooms. I did miss the llamas, but the front desk staff said that a young alpaca herd will soon replace the llamas. The hotel is getting pricey and mentioned raising rates to $200/night during Quilt Show week, which may lead me to look at other options.

We had a great time. The rooms was so spacious and comfortable. It was like a home away from home. The breakfast buffet had a good selection of items to select from. The grassy area was inviting to sit and watch the Llamas. Excellent place to stay, relax, and enjoy. Would encourage anyone to stay here.

We were traveling with our dog. They were very accommodating. There's a decent little on-premises dog area. But right at the corner of the fence behind the dog area walk through the gap and you can follow short trails and even have your dog off leash. $15 dog fee added to your room rate. The hotel is nicely laid out and the rooms are nice. I wouldn't really call it a lodge, though.

It was more of a motel, to be honest. The breakfast spread was decent but even though the room was clean and spacious, the overall vibe was slightly daunting and dull. Was expecting more! The staff was friendly and they have a nice garden area to eat breakfast. The banana nut muffins they serve are delicious! Also, the reception staff was very warm.

We stayed here because the rooms in Bend cost so much more. We liked the town of Sisters and glad we chose this hotel. Though downtown is an easy distance to walk, we drove in to eat dinner each night. There are not enough sidewalks between the hotel and downtown. We found the room clean and comfortable. Loved having two sinks, one in the bathroom and one outside of it. They serve a nice hot breakfast in the summers with eggs, potatoes, meat, and lots of other choices. The breakfast is catered from Sisters Saloon downtown.

The room was so comfortable - the deck overlooked the yard/pool area. Great place - close to local restaurants. Nice grounds to take a stroll. All the room amenities makes it a place that we will definitely revisit!

Made a last minute decision to stay in Sisters. Stayed at the Ponderosa and found the staff very accommodating, our room was large and very nice. The setting is relaxing and spacious. Will definitely return.

This popular motel is right off of U.S. 20 on the west side of Sisters, making for easy access. The grounds are spacious and scenic. The two main building are solid and I did not notice road noise at night. My upstairs room was cozy with a table, easy chair, and a balcony. Room was clean and tidy each day of my three day stay. Bed on the firm side which I enjoy. Staff was welcoming and got me checked in quickly. The free breakfast is adequate but grew tiresome on the third day. Coffee was quite good at breakfast. Did not use the pool or hot tub, not sure if they were operational yet.

Love it at this hotel. The grounds are so beautiful and there are so many hiking opportunities around Sisters. The deer were walking right by our balcony.... The staff are friendly and the rooms are super clean and comfortable. Love the second floor with the balcony. We'll stay again for sure!

The property was undergoing renovations in some rooms. Fortunately, my room had been completed and it was lovely. The property backs up to National Forest land and there is a trail right off the parking lot. How convenient!

This BW is excellent! The rooms are very spacious decorated in a western theme with large cross beams and rustic furnishings. Very clean. Comfortable bed. I think there are 3 buildings and one building for travelers with pets. There are various room choices so be sure to check online or call to get what you need. Good breakfast with various hot and cold selections to please everyone. Great location right off the main road yet very quiet. Rooms look out onto a nice grassy area with large trees. Places to walk around the property. Nice outdoor pool and separate hot tub area that was covered. Laundry facilities on site. Our room had an additional sink outside the bathroom which was nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this BW.

Nice place! Nestled right off the highway on the edge of town. I woke to deer and other wildlife every morning. It's within walking distance to the grocery store and restaurants. The decore was awesome rustic cabin feel really appreciated the open beam ceiling and the whole wood headboard the doors were nice too great charictor! Staff was friendly and knowledgeable I had a great stay.

Were in Sisters for a bike race, stayed in one of the 'fancy' rooms. The bathroom was great with the walk-in shower and large ceiling mounted shower head, the jacuzzi tub was perfect after the race for soothing the muscles, and the kitchen worked perfectly so never ate out. It's not exactly in the heart of downtown, but so close you can walk or ride your bike. It was really quiet (except for the morning because of elephants on the floor above, which is not the hotel's fault it's just inconsiderate travelers) and cozy. Check-in was great - the staff was very helpful and did what they could to find a room that was available for early check-in.

Stayed here only one night while on our way through Oregon. Best Western is usually pretty reliable, and this one did not disappoint! We checked in, only to find our room had not been cleaned (due to a mix-up because of being short-staffed). Front desk staff was very apologetic, and quickly upgraded us to a suite. We felt like we were in a high-priced condo unit! Very nicely designed and appointed room; it would be worth the extra to book this for a romantic getaway, or maybe an extended stay. We were very tired after two days on the road and didn't want to leave for a restaurant, so headed across the street to the grocery store to grab something simple to eat in the room. Nice store! Beds comfortable; peaceful and quiet property. Breakfast not spectacular, but enough to get you through the morning. Good idea to have microwaveable burritos and omelettes; less waste.

Room was clean and nice. Front staffs were very kind and polite. It is rather pricy, but considering having good breakfast, I understood. Wi-fi was not very strong for stream movies, that was only thinkg that can be improved.

I stay in Sisters at least once a year and this is one of my choices. Seems to be a little over priced for the value, but handy and has a nice team running things. Having breakfast is a definite plus.

Great location and very nice room. Bed stand is a knee knocker. Hotel was under repair and was noisey until late on Sat. night. I have been pleased with my stays in the past and don't feel like this stay was an accurate representation.

We just had 6 weeks traveling through 3 countries where we stayed in hotels the entire time and when we got back to the states we went on a 6 week road trip and this hotel stands out as the one we enjoyed the most in our 3 months of traveling. We were greeted with friendly, smiling staff who were very efficient and accommodating and checked us in quickly. When we arrived at our room there were housekeeping staff working nearby who not only greeted us with smiles but asked us if we needed anything and if we did to just ask them. They were very pleasant. As soon as I opened the door I was so impressed by the high end slate flooring which was at the entry and continued into the luxurious bathroom. There was a beautiful 2 person jacuzzi bath tub which had a slide across wooden window which opened into the living area or closed for privacy. A unique feature which added to the charm of the room. The vanity was large with granite counter and plenty of storage space and the walk in shower was very large with a gorgeous etched glass picture wall on the bath side and it had a lovely rain head shower. The bathroom was a decadence to be enjoyed. To top it off they supplied the most decadent and softest bathrobe I've ever tried in any hotel so I purchased one to take home with me. We had a HUGE king room with a gorgeous stone fireplace, a kithcen area, separate dining area, a lounge to watch TV or relax on and a super luxurious leather lounge chair with ottoman. The leather chair set was so large and so very comfortable you could sleep in it. The king bed had log headboard and was very comfortable with lovely soft linens. There was a guest laundry just a few steps from our room so we did a load of wash and the machines were very clean and efficient and cheap too. We saw an outdoor pool but we didn't use it. We were too busy enoying our luxurious room. We've stayed in much higher priced rooms which haven't been half as nice as this one. You get a lot of room, luxuries and features for your money here. This was a memorable hotel and we'll definitely stay here again. I look forward to staying again and hopefully in the near future.

We rolled into town on a whim mid mothers day weekend so the fact that we had only once choice for a king size bed didn't surprise us and it was in a suite. Well after a long drive we took it without caring what the price was and we didn't regret it. The room was beautiful!! It had an amazing tub, great robes, big bed, nice couch, great view, and just felt comfortable.

We have stayed several times at this hotel and like all our previous visits we were happy with the results. The room was quiet with a nice property view. I am an avid reader and usually dis satisfied with the low wattage lamp bulbs. But this hotel provides higher wattage lamp bulbs. For avid old readers, it was a pleasure to read without eyestrain - a big deal for me.

Stayed for one night on our way to Corvallis. Very nice hotel and our room was large. The water pressure in the shower is not great. The breakfast is nice. Good location to walk to shops and restaurants. Generally a very nice hotel.

Easy to find and navigate once you arrive. The desk staff were very pleasant and helpful. The room was nicely decorated with a fitting decor for the region. Spacious with nice furniture and a huge extremely comfortable bed! Appliances are modern with a large refrigerator. If I find myself needing to stay in Sister's again I will choose The Ponderosa again.

Love this place! Will be back again. Just needed a get out of town experience and although we live close by we wanted to just do something different. Totally enjoyed ourselves and will do this again very soon.

What a wonderful, warm, welcoming place. We came here with our kids and dogs and all of us were welcomed with open arms. Comfortably-sized room with super friendly staff who gave us a doggie welcome basket. Can't wait to go back.

We generally like Best Western motels. They are part of a overwhelmingly reputable bunch that all adhere to good, predictable standards of service. Usually. This one has seen better days, is ready for an overhaul. Semi-functioning sliding doors whose locks are inoperable, squishy-lumpy mattresses (I have never, ever awakened with such a sore back). Average breakfast fare. In that Oregon mountain setting, of course, one forgives much however. And yet, and yet... We spent two nights here. Midmorning following our first night, I spotted the little blue cart of housekeeping staff, just down the corridor. Oh, good. The room will be perfect when we return this evening. It wasn't. Had been skipped, in fact. I approached the resident manager at the front desk, inquiring. The response I would describe as FLATLINE. Not even the pretense of caring (isn't that what the hospitality business is about?) His single sentence, "Are there supplies you need?" was the entire response. I returned furious to our room, where little things like dim or missing light bulbs and duplex wall sockets so worn your charger simply dropped onto the floor -- all that stuff -- began to mount up onto the unmade beds, the towels left exactly as when we'd departed that morning for a day exploring, to a disgusting second night. Ever had the sense you were slumming it, when you had so looked forward to your choice of lodging? That was us. In short, even the illusion of caring had gone missing. Clearly this rating is in the minority. If you decide to risk the place, well and good. May your stay be pleasanter than ours. The second star is added in acknowledgement of somebody's choice of this primo location, once.

We stayed in a basic king room on an overnighter. It was clean and quite large- it featured a couch as well as a table and 2 chairs. The breakfast was kind of an upgraded continental. Omelettes and breakfast burritos that could be microwaved. Instant oatmeal and yogurt with quite a few add ons (raisins, granola, coconut, etc), biscuits and gravy, hard boiled eggs, waffles and the standard toaster breads. They also offered a breakfast to go.Our room did have a private balcony- perhaps all rooms do- looking out over the pool. We would definitely return.

I have stayed here twice they are always able to accommodate my dogs on short notice even when they are out of dog rooms. We had four large dogs this last time and they had no problems with them. Of course I would not travel with my pups if they were not trained & well behaved.

We stayed in a basic room with two queen beds. The room was very spacious and the beds were very comfortable. We really stayed in our room the whole time so we never checked out much of the facility.I can't think of any complaints as we were happy from check in to check out.

My husband and I had business in Sisters and spent 1 night here in a King pet friendly room. It was clean, spacious, did not smell pet like, and had a very, very comfortable bed. The decor is Western and it looks newerish but it's been decorated that way for 20 years. Our room smelled like it had just been painted. But overall it was a great value, very clean and comfortable and the staff is very friendly.

We selected the Ponderosa Lodge for a brief Sisters visit based on the previous, positive reviews. Our experience is those reviews are spot-on. The morning and afternoon staff is friendly, accommodating and very helpful. Our King bedroom was spacious, spotless, inviting and quiet. It appears that a number of rooms are receiving new drapes, light fixtures, paint and other fresh elements that will make great accommodations even better for the Easter break and summer vacation crowd. We'll be back this summer to check out the llamas!

Our suite was lovely with all the cozy amenities we wanted... fire place, comfortable bed and pillows, nice sitting area, comfy robes and very nice jacuzzi tube for two. It was very well kept with great decor and layout. We were very happy with it and would have loved to stay longer. Hopefully next time.

The place is very nice, very clean. Our suite was beautiful with a big soaking, jacuzzi tub. The bed was hard and the sheets were scratchy like there was too much starch or bleach or detergent on them. I couldn't sleep at all. The bed makes it or breaks for me. So disappointing.

We had an excellent stay at this Best Western in Sisters. Staff was very friendly & helpful, and our room was clean and comfortable. We requested the first floor due to mobility issues, and this was quickly accommodated. Beds were comfortable, and the two queen bedroom was spacious enough for our party. The hotel appears well-maintained and we enjoyed the "lodge" feel of our room. Look out for the mule deer in the area close to the parking lot. We saw a whole family of them when we got up for breakfast, which was a real treat for our toddler. The breakfast was great--lots of choices including cereals, waffles, fruits, and pastries. We'll definitely stay here again in a future visit to Sisters!

We stayed in the suite and it was amazing cozy fireplace, jacuzzi spa, comfortable beds, & beautiful view of outside. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The continental breakfast was great they had a variety of food options ( omelette, biscuits & gravy, fruit, yougurt ext.). I would definitely return to this hotel in the future.

Excellent stay it was roomy ,loved the log cabin look very clean rooms.we stayed in a pet room and did not smell bad . Staff is freindly it was very quite good place to get away for some peaceful rest

Cleanliness and comfort of bed is what I always seek. It was clean, bed is pillow top, pillows are down both very comfy. Hot tub located outside, grounds were clean. Continental breakfast looked fresh and coffee always full.

It great that the are a pet friendly hotel and welcome your pets with a gift basket. The rooms are not very sound proof. You can hear your neighbors on all sides of you. Visit during warmer weather when they have their llamas.

Clean, quiet, very nice room with jacuzzi tub in Sisters, Oregon. We were Impressed with the rustic pine decor and awesome tile shower with rain shower head. Wonderful night away, will definitely stay here again.

I travel for work and spend half the year in a hotel. I was at this location last summer and it was very nice to stay at a place where the staff and hotel were great in all aspects. I went back with the family for a nice relaxing weekend and it was great. There is a lot to do in the area and we look forward to another visit

We stay at the Best Western in Sisters every time we are in town. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. There is a pool for summer time fun and a hot tub for those chilly nights. The rooms are decorated in Sisters fashion and are clean and comfortable.

My wife and I stayed here recently. We live only a few hours away, but staying at the Best Western Ponderosa Lodge definitely put our minds far, far away from the hustle of everyday life. The premises is wide open and the log cabin feel is great. There is an steamy outdoor hot tub that is incredibly inviting on a cold December day. The interior of the rooms are unbelievable. We stayed in a suite and really enjoyed the fire place, and the Jacuzzi tub. Everything about this hotel exceeded our expectations - the comfort, the amenities, and the staff - I spoke with Desirae at the front desk, she was exceptionally cordial and generous. Thanks Desirae and the Staff at BW Ponderosa Lodge for making our stay awesome!

My family and I decided to try something different this year and go on vacation for Thanksgiving. Sisters, OR has a tree lighting the day after Thanksgiving and a Christmas parade the day after that. There are so many other fun activities we decided to stay at the Ponderosa Lodge in Sisters. I have five children 10 and under, the suite they offer is so much fun for our family. They have roll away beds and provided a pack and play with linens! The jaquzzi jetted tub, fireplace, breakfasts, and many other features make this a wonderful vacation spot!

This is a very nice hotel with a country feel .I have stayed here many times and am never dissapointed with the,cleanliness and comfort,I always stay here when i visit Sisters.If you are looking for small town country feel with big city comfort i reccomend this hotel.Any time of year but my favorite is winter.

I love staying here while in Sisters, at least twice yearly. The staff remember me and welcome me back and ask after me. Rooms are neat and clean. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. Quiet. Love the table and chairs for working in the room. Warm shower. Fridge and microwave. Free internet. Variety for breakfast. Thanks!

I stayed at this BW 6 years ago - I think it may be the best place for $165. Comfortable bed and the decor and room look fresh. No suprises this time - same comfortable bed - I was very happy with my stay.

This place is beautiful. We were on our honeymoon. We stayed at several places in OR. This by far was my favorite place. We are already planning a trip back to Sisters to stay here. The decor was outstanding. Everything was clean. It was a delight to stay.

We are from Eugene and have stayed at this property before. It is a quick getaway from Eugene and gets us close to snow in the early winter time. The extra dog fee is a little disappointing but I understand where issues have probably come up.

The Best Western Ponderosa Inn was beautiful and relaxing. I highly recommend staying there. They have nice rooms and a large spa. We have stayed at several Best Westerns and this one is one of our favorite.

This is a very good option when staying in Sisters. The surrounding grounds are very nice and the lodge decor suits the area. For those traveling with pets, it's pretty ideal, plenty of space to walk the dog in a forest like setting.

The staff here went above and beyond. Fantastic. I had a small issue that I needed resolved and the staff far beyond exceeded my expectations. I will certainly be looking at using not only this hotel again in the future but Best Western in general.

Stayed here for one night a second time after a number of years. The service was friendly and the property clean and well-maintained. I slept well and had no issues. As a Diamond rewards member, I did not receive an upgraded room this time.

I visit Sisters just about every year, with my sister. We love the Ponderosa Lodge. The room was, of course, very clean and quite large. Nice rustic decor and the grounds are beautiful. We saw deer eating out in front of the hotel each morning and the place is only a few minutes from restaurants and shopping. Great fun. Can't wait for next year.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the pines. Service was excellent from arrival to departure. Husbands birthday BW member got upgraded to suite. Lovely large rooms with fireplace and Jacuzzi. Beds are so comfy. Looking forward to next stay!!

Rooms really nicely decorated with Pine logs and pine furniture. Nice mattresses. Very clean room. Breakfast, as usual with Best Western, uses the powdered eggs- not good. Service really helpful at front desk.

Staff was very friendly and rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel grounds were well groomed. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices and was well stocked. The rooms were very quiet and we did not hear noise from other guests.

I booked this hotel not really knowing too much about it. The photos looked nice, the price was good and the location was what I needed. After checking in, I was so happy that I booked our stay here! The room was amazing! AMAZING! We booked an upper level suit and it was beyond what I could have hoped for. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind after exploring Bend. The floor to ceiling stone fireplace was perfect! The grounds are nice as well. They have a nice pool and llamas! Oh, and the complimentary breakfast was pretty good as well. I can't wait to book my next vacation!

Had stayed with friends here in March and brought my husband this time. It's a terrific location, off the busy road into town, close to restaurants, shops and the outdoors. Enjoyed the llamas next door!

Don't try to find this location at night. There are few lights, and no roadside sign. Location is pleasant, and the room was nice, but their breakfast left a lot to be desired. They had several lamas in a pen behind the motel that my wife enjoyed. The town of Sisters is quaint and nice to walk around.

We have been to this property many times!!! We love coming back because of the closeness, the beauty and the amenities of the suites!!!! We love the staff for their friendliness and yet still maintaining their professionalism.

Approaching the lodge, we could see why it is named the Ponderosa Lodge! The lodge pole pine supports, the wooden balconies, and the exterior of the lodge had us humming the theme song from "Bonanza!" Our double queen bed room was very spacious, clean and with extremely comfortable beds. How often do you get two vanities; one in the bathroom and one outside of it? That is great when two women travel together. Each room has a balcony that overlooks the corral of llamas! The front desk personnel, Cathy and Troy, were friendly and welcoming. You can tell they take pride in their establishment. Breakfast was good, too.

Stayed for two nights for a wedding in Sisters. Location was great, bed was super comfortable, friendly staff and you can feed llamas on the property! Would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in the area

We were in Sisters for a wedding and had a spectacular experience with the Ponderosa Lodge. The room was massive - a huge sitting area with a fireplace. A nice bedroom and a huge bathroom with a hot tub. It was extremely quiet and the grounds are well kept. Even the breakfast was top notch for a complimentary buffet - Conveniently located by several restaurants and within walking distance to downtown. A great place to have a long weekend get away.

Been here many times and always reliable, clean with friendly staff. Easy stroll into town. Nice views and you can pet the llamas. Breakfast is adequate. Good value for cost. WiFi is a pain but fine once you're in town.

We had a great time and the hotel is very pet friendly. We would stay again. The staff accommodated all of our requests with courtesy and promptness. The chipmunks were an additional bonus so bring lots of nuts for them and they will eat right out of your hand if you are not too squeamish..

This location has become a yearly event at the Best Western Ponderosa Lodge in Sisters , Ore. We usually arrive on our Harley Motorcycles. Lots of things to do in the area. Several stores within walking distance of the Hotel. They a Llamas on site as well as several deer show up on the property in mornings & evenings. Plus you are only a mile or so to downtown Sisters.

The setting was quiet with trees all around. The cleanliness was outstanding! Every staff person we encountered was helpful. The coffee in the lobby was good, the breakfast had a variety of options, and we enjoyed sitting outside to eat.

This location is a yearly location for us to visit. Several couples on motorcycles make this trip . Staff is Awesome, rooms are huge. On site breakfast. They several Llama's on the property. Food, gas , restaurants right across the street from the hotel, also less than a mile from downtown Sister's. Also close to Santiam Pass, McKenzie Pass, HooDoo Skiing.

Beautiful area and good access to hiking and recreation. Expensive for stay. Black Butte good hike and not too difficult and quick but rough drive from here. Early snow on mtn but gorgeous. Really nice property but too expensive, Early book should have resulted in lower price. Senior and Best Western Rewards.

Such a beautiful area! The coolness of the evening and early morning are wonderful! Clear blue sky's at night and clear skies starie nights! If you are ever in the Sisters area reserve a room here at the Ponderosa Inn Best Western!

Beautiful, spotless room; tasty breakfast; excellent, clean pool; friendly llamas; fine birdwatching area and walk-in access to National Forest. We came to sisters to walk and to bird. This hotel was perfect!

Hotel is located on a large, forested site, and we were greeted by a small herd of deer on our arrival. Hotel is dog-friendly and backs up to National Forest land for walking and exploring. Breakfast was above average, eggs scrambled with fresh vegetables. Décor is rustic/log cabin-like, with cute little accents.

Wish I could tell you more, but then you'd all book our favorite room and we'd be out of luck! (Alpine-style rooms are awesome, but I didn't tell you that!). Excellent place to stay, Sisters is fun town to visit!

The Ponderosa is our favorite hotel. We have stayed there many times as we visit Sisters every summer. The suites at the Ponderosa are beautifully appointed. The property is beautiful. It far surpasses any other Best Westerns we have ever experienced.

I love staying at the Ponderosa while taking classes at the Stitchin' Post in Sisters. The workers are so friendly and helpful. the rooms are well appointed. When I return in the evening it is so nice to have a comfortable chair and footrest to just "veg" out after a hard days work!

Quiet location. The suite was fantastic, it was like staying in a log cabin. Everyone was nice and the location was pretty good. It was definitely a unique hotel. Wish we could have stayed longer - Sisters is a beautiful town.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here and love it. Quiet, great location and even received a complimentary basket for our dog. Highly recommend this hotel. And Sister's is such a great town with friendly people.

My fiance and I wanted to spend the long labor day weekend in Sisters to plan our upcoming wedding and meet with vendors. We booked the King Suite with the Jacuzzi tub and could not have been more impressed! The front desk staff was able to accommodate our last minute request to stay another night and were happy to help. In addition, the room was a wonderful place to stay and escape the smoky outdoors. It has a lovely fireplace and you could even watch TV from inside of the Jacuzzi. The king bed was heaven and extremely comfortable. If you're looking for a place to get away and recharge without spending a crazy amount of money - Ponderosa Lodge in Sisters is it!

Given the remote location of the property and the few number of lodgings available, I didin't expect much. It was very nice and the staff were very helpful as we got there during the forest fires and needed to make sure our route was clear.

There's basically nothing I would change about this place - and there's always something! Everything just seemed so well-thought out. The wood log exterior and the grounds are beautiful - and the covered wagons and alpacas gave it a lot of charm. We stayed in a standard room on the second floor with our 3-year old and 1-year old and it was perfect for us. My kids loved the balcony, and we loved that we had somewhere to hang out after they'd gone to bed. The pack n' play for the baby was clean and comfy. The pool and hot tub were great. And the breakfast was surprisingly good - with eggs and waffles too. But the grounds were what made it special. There were lots of places to hang out and my kids loved having grass to run around in (and they got a kick out of feeding the alpacas). We would definitely come back!

Have stayed here on several occasions and have been pleasantly surprised each time. Affordable, clean, comfortable, friendly staff, great grounds. Close to everything Sisters has to offer. This is our go to for lodging in Sisters.

We stayed here during the eclipse and the staff was very helpful with information and updating us on the wildfires nearby. The rooms were beautiful, the grounds lovely and the service was very good. they even offered eclipse glasses to guests, but we had brought our own.

Troy was very helpful when we needed to extend our stay an extra two nights. He arranged it so we could stay in the same room all 4 nights even though the hotel was almost completely booked, and he kept our discount for the whole stay. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Also, we stayed on the ground floor and our patio opened up directly onto a nice well-maintained yard area which was very pleasant for porch-sitting.

The Hotel has a beautiful look with heavy timber built into the facade, the rooms in the upper stories have a really high ceiling which adds to the feeling of having a huge room - which is true, the pool is great and the balcony as well.The breakfast is good with a nice variety and good presentation.

We have been coming to Ponderosa Lodge in Sisters, OR, for many years and always love it! The staff is consistently helpful and the rooms provide the comfort and rest we desire. Ponderosa Lodge fits the natural landscape of the ponderosa pines surrounding it which adds to the beauty of this area. It's our favorite place to stay in Central Oregon!

We came for the solar eclipse and we loved the hotel, the service and the city! Very clean, nice people, good breakfast. The lamas add and the swimming pool are a bonus. We really liked it. A little bit smoky in the mornings due to the fires in the mountains. We recomend the hotel and Sisters.

This was are first time to stay in sisters, we had an amazing visit, lots of friendly people great food. We will be back for sure. We have family in Bend and Sun River so for us it was a prefect location.

This is an excellent place to stay. The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and spacious, and the location is close enough to town but far enough away so that it's quiet. It was an excellent choice for us.

Nice place to relax! Very clean and cozy. Rustic/native feel in decor, and our Ponderosa Suite was beautiful! We enjoyed the outdoor pool and wildlife, and the breakfast was really good. A lot to choose from. Looking forward to staying again.....worth the price.

If you were to dream of an extremely comfortable, cozy, picturesque, friendly place to stay in the beautiful Ponderosa forests of Oregon and in the middle of anything you want to do outdoors, you'd be dreaming of the Ponderosa Lodge. And, the room, shower, breakfast, and staff were wonderful.

Enjoyed facility very much! Amazing in every way. Llamas on grounds, excellent food, very clean, stylish with western design, tall ponderosa pine trees all around, many great places to shop close by. We felt this motel is very special in every way. Hope you will have the experience we had with our one night stay.

We loved the setting, with the beautiful pine forest and the llamas over the fence. The knotty pine ceiling in our room was beautiful, and all the gorgeous wood everywhere in the walkway leading to the rooms gave the ambiance a western feeling. Enjoyed having a balcony. The bed was very comfortable, the shower great, and the breakfast was delicious. The scrambled eggs had tasty additions (cheese, spinach, etc.), and they were not overcooked or dry.

This wss our second year staying here. The front desk are quick to respond when contacted. Housekeeping is pleasant and always with a smile. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub with a Beautiful huge, green, grassy area. And the Llamas are fun to watch. A lot of room to have fun and enjoy.

Outstanding Visit will stay again. Breakfast was good and hot best yet from a BW Motel, staff was way above par and we wanted for nothing. A/C worked very well and was a god send. No complaint at all. First Cabin !

There are many hotels/motels in the Sisters and Bend area, but my wife will only consent to staying in this hotel. We greatly enjoy the edge of town setting and great care we receive. The staff are very kind and friendly, and the amenities are great.

Very nice. This lodge reminded me of when visiting Yellowstone Park and the Grand Canyon when I was a kid. Good Memories of the hotels and the vacation trip when life was less complex and things were simple.

superb room, service, and location. Breakfast was superb, an unexpected treat. We'll stay at the Ponderosa Lodge again. Sisters is a wonderful town, very clean, easy access. Many good eateries, wide selection. We enjoyed the Oregon back roads, both to and from Sisters. A fun stay.

Great hotel, in a wonderful pinetree environment. The hotel is nice, tools are wide and clean. Breakfast is good (hot and cold) and you can seat outside for an event pleasant moment. Swimming pool is great. This hotel is a wonderful place to rest.

Spent two nights at the BW Ponderosa Lodge in Sisters, OR. We had a suite with a lovely Jacuzzi and a fireplace (though we didn't use that). They have a continental breakfast but we had meetings for breakfast elsewhere. The staff was helpful and pleasant. The lodge is very near the main highway but we never heard any traffic (or construction as they were working on it at night) noise at all. We have back issues and the beds were perfect for us. They were good quality. A bit expensive but we were looking for a nice place to stay so it was worth it to us.

Our suite was like staying in an upscale lakeside cabin. Tastefully decorated, love the rain shower, and separate living and bedroom. Staff went out of their way to make sure guests are taken care of. And breakfast was not powdered eggs, they use a caterer and the eggs were sooo good. Pool was very well cared for daily.

We loved our stay here. Beautiful, large area with llamas! Large pool and hot tub. Large rooms with patios or decks. Very clean & well decorated. We had a pet room. Breakfast catered from local restaurant was delicious & fresh. Staff very pleasant as well. Would love to return and stay longer.

From check in to check out - everything was perfect! The hotel has wood ceilings, wood headboards, and lots of wood throughout giving you the old time feel. Check in was quick and easy, the rooms comfortable and nice having 2 sinks - one inside the bathroom and one outside the bathroom. Breakfast was great - scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, and waffles along with yogurt, oatmeal, pastries and drinks. They have a nice group of llamas that you can feed as well. The outdoor pool is heated and the hot tub was nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in the area!

The chance to see a beautiful sunset from the lodge's grounds was an excellent fringe benefit. I appreciated the posting on the llamas' fence of excellent information about llamas plus photos which help guests know the names of eight resident llamas. (Other llamas were temporarily absent.) Although the lodge makes available free llama food for guests' use, don't count on being able to feed the llamas. To avoid overfeeding, the food container isn't immediately refilled when the day's supply is gone. No food was in the container the evening I arrived or when I checked early the next morning. But even without that food, some of the llamas were close enough to the fence for my early morning photography. Information in the room explains that baggage handling service can be requested. This could be important for some guests with second-floor rooms, as there's no elevator. I like dogs and cats but wanted a room which isn't pet friendly. At least on the day I arrived, that meant I received a second-floor room. Guests with pet-related allergies might want to consider requesting a room which isn't pet-friendly when making reservations. Wagons which bring to mind the Oregon Trail are on the property. A notebook in the room has a list of more than 90 possible things to do. A mule deer and three fawns made an early-morning crossing of a road leading away from the lodge. If while driving you see one or more deer, be careful. More deer could be close behind. I saw a motorist stop to avoid hitting a fawn.

I thought the hotel was great and a great location. Very quiet and very nice place. Nice room in very good condition, everything worked. The town of SIsters is a nice place to eat, shop or just hang out. Very close to lots of activities in the area to take advantage of. It is good in the summer and winter.

This Hotel had an exceptionally friendly staff, very clean rooms and the overall stay was very comfortable. I only stayed for one night, but I will plan on returning and enjoying the outdoor pool and lounge area. There was construction along the route to the hotel, so call ahead for the easiest route.

This motel has a very nice old west country look and feel to it. Lots of green grass in a forested setting. Look out your room and you will see llamas in a fenced in area on the premises. For morning breakfast you can go outside and eat at a table with an umbrella. They are all out in the grassy lawn.

What a surprise!!! We were upgraded to a suite upon arrival "Happy Anniversary to us " this was one of our most pleasant trips in years and right in our own backyard only a 3 hour drive !!! The staff is amazing so friendly made us feel like part of their family and they all go out of their way to make your stay welcoming.Just sitting on our balcony watching the llamas that call the hotel home or the deer that visit daily or soaking up some rays at the pool after a day exploring the surrounding area just terrific!!! And how often in our busy lives do you get to see a doe with her 3 fawns first for me and my husband ! We will visit again thanks for a great week.

Very friendly staff. We came on very short notice and had to take a more expensive room than we usually do. But in the end it was well worth it, very pleasant stay in all respects! We had also booked a room for two friends of ours from New York, and the were very impressed.

Went there with daughter and small grandchildren from another state. Everything was delightful! We spend several happy times at the pool. The breakfast was excellent with a lot of variety. Even my vegan daughter could find an abundance of good things to eat. The motel is located very close to the shopping, and the kids adored feeding the llamas their special food. It's evident that a lot of care goes into this place.

The only problem we had with this motel is that our room wasn't ready when we arrived. We were with a group and all in our party got their rooms but us. The room was still being cleaned and that late in the day it should have been done! We were up-graded which was nice but still! All of our friends were in the pool and we still didn't have a room! Don't get me wrong the motel is very nice and our room was GREAT but they might need more help in the cleaning department.

Whenever in the Sisters area we make a point of staying at this property, great value for what is offered, superb location. We always request one of the downstairs suites and my wife very much likes comfort offered. Easy to get around and we love the large grass public area and the trees on the property. It feels like a resort while there but not at resort prices. Very quite location as well.

We were in town for a friends wedding. Since the Suite was the same price as a regular room, we booked the suite. It was breathtaking. The layout, jacuzzi tub, shower, everything was just perfect. Clean, spacious... I'd stay there again in a heartbeat -- and will!

We stayed in two different rooms at the Ponderosa Lodge when we attended the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show. The first night was in the King Suite. The suite was beautiful and such a nice treat. For about $100 more than a standard room you must go for it especially if you are looking for a romantic getaway. The amenities and furnishings were comfortable and high quality. Bathroom with full spa tub, walk-in waterfall shower, well appointed King bedroom, stone fireplace, comfy living room, bar area, Kuerig coffee maker desk, larger balcony, etc. Even the little touches were there... better quality soaps, shampoos, towels, blankets. Our second night was in a standard queen room and was fine as well. Clean, well stocked, comfy beds. Breakfast was good with eggs, sausage, potatoes and then all of the other typical items. We enjoyed our food outside at the picnic tables provided.

After looking around for a place to stay near Bend during a long cross country road trip, we settled on the Ponderosa Lodge so the kids could have a different setting than the standard chain hotels we've stayed in thus far on our trip. What an unexpected delight our one night stay was! We were upgraded to a very sizable suite with a gorgeous bathroom. Our daughter loved feeding the llamas. The breakfast was definitely the best of the string of hotels we've stayed in over the past week. If we are ever in this area again, we would stay here again without hesitation.
