« Great place to stay in Santa Rosa »

We checked in late after a long day on the road the day after Thanksgiving. They were booked up, but still pleasant at check in and very accommodating to our needs. Rooms were clean, bed was comfortable, tv worked with lots of channels. The decor was a little dated, but clean and functional. Don't miss the Comet 2 down Rt. 66 for a great Tex-Mex dinner!

    « Very Nice »

This motel was everything one would expect. Clean and comfortable. King bed, quality bedding, big screen TV and they accepted our pet for an extra $10. Parking just outside your rm that was very convenient. No stairs. Would definitely return.

« Santa Rosa Inn, NM »

Nice hotel, great staff. We wanted pizza gave us a good recommendation of a pizza place close to our hotel. Changed our room without a problem to make easier accommodation for us. All in all, great place. We would stay there again.

« Very pleasant, but they have a few issues »

Found the location on line while traveling, nice and easy location to get to from I40. Room was spacious and beds were comfortable. You can tell they have been doing some remodeling. We would stay here again, but only if the following were corrected; no hot water it was Luke warm, the wood floors were dirty, though you could not tell, when you walked on them barefoot your feet get very dirty. Lastly, the heating unit quit working in the middle of the night. All was reported to the management, hope they fix things, though I am concerned the lady at the front desk could not understand the concept of a dirty floor.

    « Great motel. »

The room was clean, well lit, and had enough electrical outlets for the modern traveler to charge a phone, connect the computer, etc. Parking was available right outside my door which was a plus. Breakfast was the normal eggs, sausage, toast, cereal, etc. I would stay again.

    « Nice Surprise ! »

When paying a hundred dollars a night for a motel room there's just certain things one expects. A big, comfy bed with nice, fresh clean bedding for starters. A fresh, clean bathroom. And a nice tv with a lot of channels to choose from. Surprisingly, Best Western Santa Rosa, NM checked all the boxes. The king size bed was comfortable, clean and there were plenty of clean fresh pillows. The bathroom area had two vanities one in the bathtub room and one out and was clean and fresh. And the huge 40" HD tv was updated and had all the good channels and movie channels. Another point is it was quiet. There were a lot of folks checked in, but I didnt hear all the noise. Thanks Best Western Santa Rosa ! I'll be checking in on my next dive trip!

« Best, Best Western, in the USA »

The BW in Santa Rosa NM. should be the model for all BW.s. The staff is great, the rooms with the comfortable beds and pillows are great, and the breakfast is great. You can;t beat the price or a better place to stay.

    3
    « Great Staff...Average rooms »

Great, friendly staff. Rooms are typical BW with pull-up to the door parking. Windows can open for fresh air, but wish they had a security stop on them. Rooms had two sinks. Can't go wrong, but thought it was a bit over-priced compared to other BW motels we stay at.

    5
    « Wedding Bound »

Clean with excellent service. Room was a bit dated by very confortable. Staff was very helpful and addressed any and all my needs. Breakfast was very good but facility was a bit cramped. Good value overall.

« Layover stay in Santa Rosa »

Hotel is on the old route 66 with easy access on and off the 1-40. The front desk was very helpful and very courteous. We had a room toward the back of the hotel so it was quiet with not traffic noise. Loved the free wi-fi. We didn't eat the free breakfast but it must have been good because it was very crowded. We went next door to Annie's. We would stay again.

« A pleasant stop on roadtrip to Arizona. »

This is comfortable and pleasant motel to get a great nights sleep on historic route 66. The rooms were typical size of a 50's - 60's roadside motel. The rooms was spotless and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and capable. We took advantage of the included breakfast and it was good, with hot and cold items. I would definitely stay here again.

    5
« Clean, comfortable, and Affordable »

I was very pleased with the room, the office staff, and the breakfast. Everything was more than satisfactory. For a small breakfast area, there was a large selection of freshly prepared food with both hot and cold items. I would definitely book this motel again.

    5
« best room ever! great beds and loved the hardwood floors for my cat. »

Loved it.was quiet even with people next door. Beds were the best and BIG bathroom. Great breakfast. Nice people. very helpful in finding a room for me and cat. Found a room where my trailer was right there.

    5
    « Santa Rosa »

Excellent place to stay. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable! The breakfast was great and set up perfectly. The couple that runs this is super friendly and I would highly recommend this to any family

« As it should be »

At the end of a day of travel, whether for vacation or work, it's reassuring to know that a clean and fresh-smelling (not cloying) room awaits, that was easy to find and offers efficient check-in. Plus, the rooms are at ground level: no stairs or elevators to bother with, and best of all, no noises can be heard between rooms. It is usually the small things that make a difference.

    5
« Best Western Santa Rosa Inn »

The room was clean, very well lighted, and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and tub was non slip. We appreciated the refrigerator, microwave, and coffee in the room. The beds were very comfortable. Also, the room was very spacious, and not confined.

    5
    « Peaceful nights rest »

Only thing that needed attention was area where had to take out our dog because there were stickers in the pet area. Otherwise everything else was excellent. The room was very quiet and the beds extremely comfortable.

    5
    « great motel »

This motel is the best operate motel I have ever seen. The appearance & helpfulness of the staff is absolutely the best I've ever encountered. The room was totally spotless and every single thing the room operated exactly as it should have. Even the shower head sprayed like the one at home. In our travels, we seldom find a shower head that does not spray everywhere. There is a TV channel assignment list by the TV which we found to be most helpful. There is even a heater in the shower room which we are finding most seldom anymore and was greatly appreciated. Breakfast area is very inviting and food items are very well presented and tasty. Overall, this motel is the very best we have encountered anywhere and we will visit it every time we are anywhere close to this location.

    5
« Perfect Room Layout and Spacious »

I've stayed at a lot of hotels and this particular BW location has the best layout. It was very spacious, nice furniture, TV, refrigerator had a freezer, bathroom had His and Her sinks and vanities and shower had 3 places to layout shower toiletries. The staff was very accommodating and helpful.

    4
    « Nice Motor Inn »

You could park right outside your door, which was very nice because we arrived just as a storm broke. Nice not to have to climb stairs. Rooms were nice size, clean. King bed was a little uncomfortable. Front desk was very nice, they were accommodating when it came to putting our milk jugs for ice in their freezer for us. Breakfast was very good and kept clean and well stocked. Check in and out was good, we had reservations.

  • 5
« Best sleep ever and great Place »

The beds was great. Reminded me of the way motels were on old route 66 in the 50s and 60s. Great clean and awesome room. Bed was perfect for a great night sleep. Breakfast was great and hot and plenty of what you would want. Will stay there ever time we come through.

    5
    « Nice! »

All the rooms are open to the outside and located at ground level. The room was large, and clean, with newer design elements. The front desk staff was very helpful. There was plenty of parking for those visitors towing trailers. I will stay here again.

    5
« Older Place, Still Very Good »

This hotel room was very large, handicapped room, clean, and quiet. Hotel was a single level hotel so no steps to go up and no noise from neighbors upstairs. Beds were good and linen was clean and fresh, with no unusual odors. The staff had left the windows open to air the room, and we were called about 8:pm to tell us so we could close them. To us caring staff.

    4
    « Pleasant surprise »

This is an old hotel, once on old Hwy 66. It consists of perhaps 20 single level units, so one can park right in front of your room. But, it is full of good surprises. It is extensively renovated and is very, very clean and nice. The owners and staff are exceptionally helpful and kind. Breakfast is standard and good. Coffee & juice are available 24/7. Rooms are large, but electrical outlets are scarce, so bring extension cords. I would stay here again; nice folks in charge.

    5
    « Great Stay »

On our travels, we have found that Best Westerns have been our most comfortable hotel experiences. This was our first stay in Santa Rosa and we were not disappointed. The welcome and the departure were so friendly and sincere. The room was so immaculate and the bed amazingly comfortable. Keep it up Santa Rosa.

    5
« would stay here again »

We stayed at 15 different hotels ranging from $100 to over $500 per night during our 3 week road trip out west and this motel ranks in the top 5 for overall value for the price. Santa Rosa happened to be one of the stop over points between destinations and we chose this best western base on the reviews. We were very pleased from the moment we arrived. It was obvious that the management and staff take pride in their business and work hard to make things nice. The rooms and facility was very clean and well kept, and the management and staff worked hard to make it a pleasant stay. If you're looking for a large, very clean room with great beds, two sinks, large refrigerator, good wi-fi service and friendly staff I would highly recommend you stay here. It was also kind of nice to be able to pull right up to your room to unload without fooling with carts, elevators and bell hops! Great mexican restaurant close by too.

    5
    « Great place »

Lovley hotel great facilities including laundry services which are great for couples like us. Rooms are clean and well equipped and staff are great. Right on the mother road so perfect for people travelling Highly recommended

    5
    « Wonderful stay! »

We had a one night stay here that was good on every level. The manager was welcoming, the room was modern and clean, and they are pet friendly. I did laundry in their convenient amenities room. Very clean. You can pull right up to your room, which is another reason we stopped there. All in all, not one bad thing to say, and at a reasonable rate!

    5
« Nice overnight stay in Santa Rosaleasant stay. Breakfast is good and »

Rooms at the Best Western Santa Rosa are nicely remodeled. They are comfortable, quiet and offer all the amenities you need for a pleasant stay. Breakfast is good and the entire staff is welcoming and friendly.

    5
« Large clean rooms, one floor »

This was just an overnight stay for us, but the room was nice and large. There was plenty of room for the king-size bed and a little sitting area which had a table and two chairs. The floors are tiled throughout. It had two sinks, one outside the bathroom and one inside the shower/toilet area. Very clean!

  • 5
    « A Jewel! »

Looked like an old-fashioned motel (drive up to the door) from the 50s, but it was new, clean, quiet, spacious. The best motel we had stayed in since we left home 2 weeks ago. I recommend this place highly! You will love it!

    4
« Best of the choices in Santa Rosa »

We have stayed here many times. Not a lot of choices but Best Western is always my Brand choice. Rooms are clean and rates fair. There is a restaurant next door that is OK, but again, not a lot of choices. This is an older motel that the owner takes very good care of. I feel safe and comfortable.

    4
    « Trip I-40 Stop »

This hotel has improved the past few years and can recommend it. Super nice beds and clean and very generous sized. Lots of TV channels. Breakfast ok. good parking on front of each room. Would stay again. New restaurant that just reopened next door .

    5
    « Best of Route 66 »

My wife and I stay here every time we are travelling on I-40/Route 66. We have had our two little dogs with us on occasion also. This is the best BW that we have stayed at. It is funny how we actually look forward to driving through New Mexico knowing we have an awesome room with a very comfortable bed and pillows waiting for us. Most of our trips through have been while towing a trailer and there is plenty of room to park and navigate through. The property has recently been updated with fresh paint throughout. The bathrooms are spacious and have two sinks. We also look forward to, my experience with other hotel chains, the freshest continental breakfast around! The staff is very friendly and desiring of a comfortable stay for you. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are travelling through Santa Rosa New Mexico.

    4
    « Passing Thru »

Staff very friendly. Don't trust navigation on this location. For some reason it had us continuing west on the interstate. Luckily I had written the exit number down and we didn't go too far past it before realizing the navigation was wrong. Rooms were fairly clean (I'd suggest dusting the headboards/full of dust) and of a nice size. Beds were comfortable. Easy on and off interstate.

    4
« Just fine for staying in Santa Rosa »

The room was clean, quiet, spacious, comfortable and reasonably priced. We had a small fridge, which worked well, and the windows opened. The front desk staff were friendly. Breakfast was the standard fare but the coffee was very weak and the scrambled eggs were not good. Overall, a good choice in Santa Rosa.

    5
    « Surprisingly Wonderful! »

This was our 2nd stop on our 5 week road trip across the country. The young woman at Reception was efficient and welcoming and gave us a terrific recommendation for dinner (Joseph's). Our large non-smoking, non-pet room was surprisingly wonderful. It was fresh, clean, and recently updated. Beds and pillows were super! And, amazingly, the room provided 2 luggage stands. Air conditioning was effective and quiet. No road noise, no noisy neighbors. The breakfast area was very clean and neat and served our needs the next morning. We highly recommend the Santa Rosa Inn. In our opinion, it stands as a model for other motels. Thank you Mr Patel and Team Santa Rosa Inn.

    4
    « Nice Route 66 Stay »

There are not many hotels to choose from here and we found this one to be reasonable and a comfortable night's stay. Just across the street from an active truck stop, we found our room to be surprisingly quiet. Pool was cold but refreshing - not a whole lot of maintenance going on but usable. Ask for a non-smoking non pet room if that's what you are looking for.

    4
    « Surprisingly quiet! »

Santa Rosa, NM, the last stop on our 8 day road trip - Googled "motels near me." Best Western was one of my choices. Clean, comfortable and quiet room! Friendly staff, nice pool. Home-style restaurant right next door. Decent breakfast...

    5
    « Perfect stay for < $100 »

When traveling across the country, we look for a good, clean place to stay for $100 or less that is pet friendly. This place met our needs perfectly. The front desk attendant was helpful and friendly. Breakfast is included and the coffee was actually decent!

  • 4
    « Clean and quaint »

We stayed here for just one night and the price was great for what we needed. Rooms were clean and staff was helpful. Breakfast was nice. It was nothing extravagant but was well prepared with clean dishes and hot food. We needed some additional business service and the front desk staff was more than happy to help - much appreciated! Would definitely stay here again!

    5
« Great place to stay on your way west »

Everything was better than expected, Check In was easy and after a long day on the road great to see a smiling face to greet you. Room was very clean and everything worked even the internet. Breakfast was good and check out was easy with that smiling face to send you on your way.

    5
    « A Good Place to Stay »

We have found the Best Western in Santa Rosa, NM to be a great place to stay after a long day of driving. It is always clean, welcoming and a good value for the price. The local cafes, pubs and steak houses offer a good variety for your evening meal. The hotel has a free breakfast and coffee. You won't be sorry if you choose to stay at this friendly little oasis on Interstate 40.

    5
    « Little Gem »

We read the reviews on Trip Advisor and decided to try this property. It was very clean and updated. I loved the 2 sinks and vanities. I could put my makeup on while my husband was in the bathroom taking a shower. The beds were very comfortable! The hotel is very quiet and we parked right in front of our door! The owners are very nice and professional. The breakfast was your typical hotel layout, we were satisfied. We usually stay at Marriots or Hiltons but enjoyed this hotel. We will definitely stay here again!

    5
    « Budget luxury! »

This Best Western is either new or recently refurbished. The rooms were large and the mattresses and bedding were extremely comfortable. There were extra towels in the bathroom. There was a refrigerator in the room. The breakfast area was small but offered enough variety to provide a fully adequate breakfast.

    4
« Very clean and friendly »

Room was very clean and well maintained. Check-in was easy and staff was friendly and helpful in checking in and recommending a couple restaurants. Breakfast area was clean and well organized. Traditional fare for complimentary breakfast. No complaints. Beds were very comfortable. I would stay here, again.

    4
« Nice place to stay »

Rooms are comfortable and clean. Very much enjoyed having a refrigerator and microwave in the room. Swimming pool is a bit too cold to comfortably swim in. Room that we stayed in was a bit small in width.

    5
    « Clean and Safe »

The owners, the Patels, were personable and professional. The property felt peaceful, safe and clean. I also really liked the fact that I could park directly in front of my own room door. The room itself was fully appointed, double queen, plugs by both beds, the WIFI was easy to connect to and fast. There was a flat screen, a mini-fridge, a microwave and a coffee pot. OH and the bed was super comfy.

    5
    « Friendly Helpful GREAT »

Called ahead last minute. Very accommodating. Called from area without good reception. Held reservation. Had more amenities than hotels double the cost. Highly recommend will stay again when in area. Easy access for loading and unloading vehicle.

    « Arizona bound »

It was very clean, the staff was great, and very helpful. I would recommend this place for staying. The breakfast was good and again the staff there was also very attentive and helpful. I seem to have good luck with the best westerns.

    « I would give 10 stars if I could' »

I had picked this hotel because of many positive reviews-I booked because my son was stranded in this town. Mr Nat Patel went above and beyond trying to help me with this situation-Kudos to him! customer service at its finest-thanks a million-I highly recommend this best western inn-its clearly run with heart and soul!

    5
    « Excellent Experience »

This was an excellent experience and great value...clean, good space, excellent bed and great bathrooms. We travel 40 days a year as retirees and have stayed at all the competitor chains and this was in the top 2-3 experiences that we have had outside of some higher end metropolitan hotels. Could not have asked for anything more.

    4
« good service and price »

I've stayed at this motel several times in the last 5 years. I am never disappointed with the service and the condition of the room. The breakfast is a good start for the road trip ahead. There is a washer/dryer available if needed.

    5
    « Great hotel »

Came to town with my wife to dive the Blue Hole. Was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Quiet rooms with direct access to easy parking. Spacious and well planned floorplans (more like a Texas, not a Boston or San Francisco room sizing!). Plentiful, clean, and comfortable bedding and towels. The white glove cleaning team is clearly at work. Tasty and plentiful breakfast buffet. Warm welcoming and helpful staff. This has my best possible review. Business, leisure, families or solo guests should find this a great option.

    4
    « old style motel »

BW at Santa Rosa is easy on/off I-40. It's a old style motel whereas you park right in front of your room. No 2nd floor. No elevators. Very convenient. The lobby is small as is the breakfast area. The room was clean and comfortable. The coffee was a bit weak.

    5
« Clean, comfortable, quiet, and convenient! »

Need I say more?! Excellent stay for one night while traveling across New Mexico from Amarillo, TX. Convenient on/off from 1-40 with free breakfast available in the lobby. 24-hour front desk and check-out at 11am. Free WiFi!! Well appointed rooms in a motor court type setting. Clean and updated. In room coffee, fridge, and microwave. Big flat screen TV with lots of channels! Absolutely recommend!

    4
« comfortable bed, clean hotel »

Clean room, beds were very comfortable, quiet location gave us a restful night sleep. Breakfast was good, attentive hostess in the food room, scrambled eggs, oatmeal, waffles, cereal, the standard stuff but hot, clean, good coffee. Appears to be family owned, hard working folks making this place work nicely for the traveler.

    5
    « In a hurry »

This is hotel was clean and easy to access. The staff was available even after midnight. The breakfast was simple, but was able to eat quickly and get on the road again. Our room was good and happy to have gotten a room.

    5
« Excellent cross country travel stop »

We travel I-40 often and need a comfortable quiet night's sleep. We've stayed at the Best Western Santa Rosa Inn before, and it always fits the bill: helpful staff, a comfortable bed, clean...AND it has good parking for our motorcycle trailers as well as rooms opening to the large and well organized parking lot.

    5
    « Comfort Stay »

Rate of 5 Stars. Will stay again. Very friendly front desk personnel and informative. Grounds well kept and pleasing to t he eye. Restaurants in Santa Rosa are lacking, especially Josephs Grill, rate them -1 overall.

« Best Western Santa Rosa »

Great Place. Clean.....very helpful staff! The rooms are on one floor and you can park in front of your room. Makes for ease in unpackng and packing. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. You will like the value you get from this motel.

« One of the best »

A bed so comfortable I didn't want to get up. The comforter is wonderful. Bathroom a little small but the room is larger than any of the other LQs we stayed in, The breakfast is the best we've had in nearly 2 weeks. Bacon, scrambled eggs, cranberry juice and soje different muffins beside blueberry.

    5
    « Darling Hotel »

We stayed at this wonderful Best Western and it perfectly suited our needs! Our room was clean, quiet and had two large sink areas. We were traveling with our dog so were in the dog section of the hotel. The owner greeted us and we felt he truly wanted our stay to be perfect. The breakfast dining room was small but there was always seating available. Make a reservation, as there were no vacancies while we were there.

    4
    « Great Place »

Clean, quiet, well kept. Traveling on vacation to the west and needed overnight stay. Centrally located. Easy access to highway and local restaurants. Truly a value on the old route 66. Will stay there again on our next trip.

« Superb small hotel on old Route 66 »

Recently renovated Best Western Hotel in Santa Rosa was the best value of the hotels we stayed in in a cross country trip. The rooms are attractively decorated. All fixtures were new and functional. Two adults and two dogs had a very pleasant night in Santa Rosa.

    « A gem of a motel »

This motel gets five stars for everything.... The motel exterior is well kept including the pool area, parking lot and breakfast area. The rooms are immaculate. The staff is very helpful and friendly The motel has lighted faux dormers on the roof. This feature gives the entire complex a warm feel. I will definetly return

« BW Santa Rosa NM »

Our stay at BW in Santa Rosa was great. The front desk was very friendly and helped us with the information we needed. The room was spotless. Everything was handy since there wasn't any stairs to climb. We had a 30 ft trailer we were pulling and could park it easily. Pool was a little cool but it didnt bother our granddaughter. We walked to restraunt next door to eat dinner. Breakfast was good. Easy access to get back on highway that morning to head home. Would definitely stay again.

Ranch style lay of of motel with parking in front of the room. Upgraded rooms. Good size room good bed. Liked having fresh fruit with breakfast choices. Restaurant next store was OK, but not anything great. Have stayed here many times. Best choice in town .

    « CLEAN! QUIET! COMFORTABLE! »

We stayed here for one night returning from a trip to Santa Fe. This hotel exceeded all my expectations! If you were blindfolded and brought into the room you would have thought you were in a Hilton or Marriot. The rooms are large and exceptionally clean. The bathroom had a large vanity and there was a sink and vanity outside the bathroom. Quiet location and the beds were very comfortable. The fastest internet I'd ever seen at a hotel as well. Loved the Best Western at Santa Rosa. Will definitely stay there again if I'm in the area. I recommend reservations, the hotel was sold out the night we were there. I know why!

    « BW Santa Rosa »

Essentially an upgrade motel, good location, like having door that opens to the outside rather than to a corridor. A little expensive for what it is, but has a pool decent breakfast, looked like they didn't change sheets from previous people one night.

    « Excellent! »

Although not a hotel, the Best Western Santa Rosa Inn is the next best accommodations to one! Everything is very clean and inviting; quiet and comfortable. My family and I stayed 2 nights and will gladly stay again if in Santa Rosa.

    « Clean! »

We stayed here for one night on our trip south. We were driving a moving truck and towing a trailer. We were quite early and were given a room designed for the handicapped. It was very clean. The beds were comfortable, We appreciated their accommodating an early check in very much. This is a pet friendly hotel with an empty lot next to it which was nice for walking the dogs. The pool was chilly, but it was a hot day and we went in anyway. The room although technically for the handicapped was pretty narrow in space between the beds and dressers. I don't know how a wheelchair would get through easily. And the bathroom while large had a regular tub/shower. Lots of grab bars, but still I would think somewhat a challenge for someone in a wheelchair. Breakfast was fine. Scrambled eggs, waffle maker etc. And again everything was very clean and tidy. The price was fair as well. It is clean and comfortable. And there was parking for the truck/trailer we were driving.

« Nice remodel of old facility »

Our family stopped in on the way to Colorado. The rooms were nice and large, with newer furniture. The bathrooms are huge by today's standards with 2 sink areas. Plenty of storage and a handy frig for drinks. The remodel looks good, but you still feel like it is an old hotel. We tried to use the pool, but the water was so cold we couldn't stay in - even though it was a hot day.

« Park by the door and Snore »

Best Western Santa Rosa has done a renovation. The vanities in the bathroom and adjoining sink are granite with new Grohe fixtures. The mirror set up in the bathroom was great for checking your backside. The beds are good as are the pillows. The wifi is fast and free. TV is big and crisp with DirecTv. Good shower head. Breakfast is normal fare for BW. Some folks think parking at the motel door is a security risk. We like it! We were here two years ago and might be back again without regrets. The train is farther down the highway!! Yea Yea!! TY BW

    « Very comfy beds »

After a long day on the road this was a pleasant surprise. The rooms are very clean and the beds are very comfortable. I really appreciated the double sinks. One in the bathroom and one just outside the bathroom. It made it a lot easier for 3 people to get ready in the morning. It is an older style hotel where you park just outside your room (yeah no stairs and no one above you). Don't let the older style deter you from staying here. It is a nice place to stay.

« Book now! Smile later! »

Was hesitant due to the fact that the pics made it look older and remodeled. But what a surprise. Check in was quick, room was CLEAN, furnished with plenty of linens, microwave, fridge, cable tv, great ac, comfy beds. Loved the fact that it had 2 sinks in separate areas, made getting ready the next day easier. Didn't have the breakfast, was ready to get on the road again. Easy on and off access to I40. You won't regret staying here.

    « Very comfortable stay »

Stopped here overnight on our way west and found it to be a good choice. It's a smaller motel style facility with all rooms on ground level so you can park at your door, which I prefer. A few blocks off interstate but rooms are nice and clean, what you would expect from the BW brand, with fridge, microwave and coffee maker in room. I especially liked the fact that it had 2 sinks, one in the bathroom and one in the dressing area just outside the bath. Very convenient for a couple to get ready for the day in the morning. Breakfast included was good with make your own waffle, eggs, sausage, potatoes etc. The seating area is small but was not a problem for us. Also, a nice outdoor pool which seemed to be well maintained, as were the rest of the grounds. We would definitely stay here again.

« The Place To Stay in Santa Rosa »

This is the second time we have come through Santa Rosa and stayed at the Best Western. Again a great place to stay. You are treated like a valued customer by everyone who works here. The rooms are large and very clean. Beds comfortable. The morning breakfast provides a nice variety of choices both hot and cold. The room rates weren't bad either. There are many places to stay in this town, in my opinion this is the only choice you need. They call it the BEST Western for a reason, try it!

    « Excellent »

The gentleman who checked us in was great. He told us about the Blue Hole. and at breakfast, the lady that was cooking real food, not frozen prepared foods. Very delicious. So polite. I am really loving that this particular hotel is is the old style, where we park directly in front of our rooms. Single level, can carry your bags straight into your room. Also have handicap roomsLoved this stay.

    « Can't get better than this »

This Hotel is by far the best Best Western we stayed at during our 9 day vacation trip. The room was outstanding with two sinks and lots of counter space. The TV was perfect and the high speed internet was exceptional. The bed, pillows etc. all comfortable and clean. Breakfast was standard but presented well. The price of the hotel is a little higher than we had been paying, but the comfort was worth the price. I would recommend this hotel to family and friends.

    5
    « Great hotel »

Large rooms, great beds, nice heated pool, quiet, breakfast included, helpful staff, a little overpriced, but perhaps I am just not adequately informed as to the market in this area....I would stay here again!

    5
    « Very nice stay »

It was very nice and clean. small area for breakfast so we did not stay to eat but overall very nice. Kids loved the pool. Beds were not bad to sleep on and it was a nice area. I would stay there again if in the area.

« Comfortable rest in Santa Rosa »

Santa Rosa was our stopping point on the first leg of our return drive to Pennsylvania. I chose it largely due to favorable Trip Advisor reviews. It is an older style motel where you can park right outside your room. Furnishings are older yet in good condition. Bathrooms have been upgraded with marble counter tops. There are two sinks: one in bathroom and one outside bathroom. Room is clean; bed comfortable. We liked the fact that you can walk to restaurants and really enjoyed our dinner at the Silver Moon a classic Route 66 restaurant since 1959.

    « Secpnd Stay »

This was our second stay at this hotel. Very nice. Rooms have been re-done and are very nice. Clean and comfortable. We requested a smoking room and they accommodated us (very unusual in today's society). Pool appeared clean although I didn't see anyone using it. Only issue we had was manager(?) criticizing employee in front lobby in front of guests. Made us uncomfortable.

    5
« Very peaceful place to stay. »

Everyone is so nice and willing to help make your stay comfortable. Very clean. Nice pool area. Very peaceful. We love staying here. The hotel is close to restaurants. I am handicapped and they did all they could to assure my comfort. I would recommend it anyone staying in Santa Rosa.

« another best experience at a Best Western »

Room was a good value for the price. Property is relatively small, quiet, and free of partying, loud music, and intrusive whooping and hollering. I had driven more than 700 miles before reaching Santa Rosa and the restful night in the Best Western was conducive to a badly needed recharge. I'll definitely return to this BW whenever my travels permit.

    5
    « Delightful! »

Stayed at the Inn while I traveled from California to eastern Canada. In my opinion it was the best hotel along the way! The owner and his family were professional, personable and just a joy. The room was spotless - even the chrome was polished - and high end faucets and granite in the bath and outer sink area. There was a ton of counter space for those who travel with more than a makeup bag! King sized bed was super comfortable with lots of pillows. This spot topped the list of hotels we stayed at along our journey.

    « Thank you »

Thank you for the wonderful service and clean room. I will recommend this hotel to my family and friends. Thank you so much for having meatless gravy for breakfast, as we are vegetarians. Our breakfast was wonderful. Thank you!

    « Great fond »

Found this hotel on Trip Advisor. It's about a mile or so off the interstate but worth the drive. Rooms were clean, staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was good. The staff was very attentive and called my husbands phone because they seem our headlights had been left on. Beds were comfortable ????

    « Heading home »

My cousin and I were on a road trip coming home we stayed in Santa Rosa NM. This best Western was perfect we got to park right in front of our room. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. I would recommend this motel to all you weary travelers

    « Very Nice »

Pleasant surprise walking into a very clean and comfortable room. Great bed, so comfy. I have stayed at other places in town, but this is now hands down the one I would stay at. Friendly check in. Ask for extra towels, no problem. Nice to have one sink in the bathroom and one out of the bathroom. We stayed in a room with a king bed and that leaves a lot of extra space in the room.

    5
    « Excellent Hotel »

Nice clean, friendly hotel. The rooms were spacious and the staff was very friendly. We ate at the restaurant near by"Joes Bar and Grill" and then went to the Route 66 Museum. If you are on a motorcycle, like us, you can park right outside your room. the cost was average.

« Good Place To Stay With Pets »

Stayed here when on a trip with our cats in tow. VERY convenient since it's all one level with doors to the outside which made is super easy to get all our stuff + our cats in and out of the room. Staff was friendly.

    5
    « Pleasant Surprise »

The desk staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs. They assigned us a room (separate bungalow, actually), which was just perfect. The bathroom was specious, the shower large, and the water hot. The beds were just right with excellent covers. Breakfast was provided, and was a step above the regular fare, with assorted fruits, cereals (great oat meal) and other foods. I traveled across the country and this was the best hotel we stayed at. Highly recommended.

    4
« They work hard at giving you a great stay »

Rooms are very large and bed is comfortable. Staff is helpful and friendly. Place is well maintained and older type layout with single story and parking at the door. Breakfast was very good with many choices. Good value, would highly recommend it.

    « Trip to Townsend Reunion 2016 »

This is a wonderful place to stay. It will be my choice every time I travel this route. The staff was pleasant. The room was clean. The beds were wonderful, including the pillows. Everything was in great order. It was easy to locate and easy on and off the freeway.

    5
    « STAY HERE!! »

I cannot say enough about this wonderful motel. Everything was top notch. We loved the size of our room, the comfy bed, the extra mirrors, great air conditioning, excellent flat screen t.v., and the best bathroom/dressing vanity area we have seen in typically nice hotels. Breakfast was fresh and varied, the pool was clean and a good size. The location was close to several eateries. Just perfect.

My friends and I take an annual trip and the Santa Rosa Best Western has been our stay over rest stop for many years. We have always been satisfied with the quality of service, amenities, cleanliness and attention to detail. If you are in the Santa Rosa area and looking for a clean, reasonably priced motel/hotel please give Best Western a try. You won't be disappointed! !

    « Amazing »

It is a pleasure to find such a well run, clean motel. Greeted late on a tired rainy night by the attendant, Judy. We we able to book the LAST room using TA about 30 minutes out and checking in took 2 minutes. Breakfast was complimentary and, although not a huge selection, offered eggs, sausage, potatoes, fresh cooked waffles, cereal and juices, milk and coffee. You should not be disappointed with this choice. Say hi to Judy.

    « Great finding! »

This hotel was booked from another best western staff in Williams Arizona. It has a motel look but it was a great surprise when walked into the room. Room and bathroom super clean, free breakfast, friendly staff. I'd definitely come back.

« Excellent Stay at Santa Rosa NM Best Westerrn »

I would strongly recommend this motel. The hotel was very well kept and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. I stayed in Room 108 and it was very spacious and clean. This room had well kept furniture and bedding. Everything looked very new. This room also has two separate sink areas in the bathroom which was very convenient. It has had a microwave and refrigerator, as requested in my reservation. I would not hesitate to stay at this Best Western again.

    « A great find on route 66 »

Had a great stay on our way to Albuquerque. It has the ambiance of a one story motel from the fifties without the worn out feel. The room was large and clean. There was a sink in the dressing area and in the bathroom. Did some laundry in a clean laundry room. The staff were friendly and the hot breakfast was good. Would stay again.

    5
« Best Place between Alburquerque & Amarillo »

This is a well managed, quality hotel with excellent services. A hot Breakfast that was excellent. A room that was well maintained and with quality furnishings. Even had a little night light to help find your way in the middle of the night. We stayed on our trip East and because it was so well run and maintained, we used it again on our trip back home.

    « This is a real Gem »

We loved the drive up to your room doors. Unloading was a breeze. We had two rooms, both were fresh smelling when we entered. Décor was modern with large flat screen TVs with tons of channels, A little fridge, ample lighting and extra outlets to plug in phones, I pads etc... The air- conditioner kept a nice steady air flow .The Internet worked great, beds were comfortable with nice pillows. The bathroom area consisted of 2 rooms . The shower and commode were in one room, outside the door was a large vanity .sink area, hair dryer, coffee maker and little soaps and shampoos. This Hotel is also pet friendly a must for us and our boxer Nellie Bay . We would stay here again in a heart beat and plan on it !!! Its very close to the Route 66 museum and a short drive to restaurants. Happy Trails !!

    « A Best Best Western »

We especially enjoyed our stay at the Santa Rosa, NM Best Western because of the service and condition of the hotel. One significant point we appreciated was the night light in the room. It was extremely helpful by allowing us to find our way to the bathroom at night. The breakfast setup allowed us to enjoy a wide variety of food and adequate quantities to provide a good meal for our trip. The staff was very attentive and the room was perfect.

« Cozy hotel; clean and quiet. »

My aunt had recommended this hotel and I was not disappointed. It is a small hotel with very nice staff. The room was clean and the location very quiet. The hotel is easily reached from I-40. It is a one-story hotel, which was a welcome change from the other hotels we stayed at, where we sometimes had heavy-footed people in the room above ours.

    5
« Why do we always stay here? »

I highly recommend this Best Westren. For a small motel everything about it is comfortable. From Check in to check out. All rooms are on ground level. Enter your room from the outside and back your car right up to the door. Even though it's usually full we are never disturbed by noise. Extreamly quite.

« Very Nice Clean Room and Great Stay »

Traveling home, one night stay. Everything about our stay was wonderful. We especially liked the updated amenities, the quiet room and comfortable bed. Front desk personnel were very helpful on check-in and check-out. We would stay there again.

    « Great place »

This is the best and cleanest motel we have stayed in on our May trip. Mr. Patel, the owner/manager, is very kind, considerate and a very accommodating person. He runs a clean and nice facility and serves a great free breakfast. I highly recommend this BW and will definitely stay here again. Really do like the room arrangement, the amenities and the feeling of security there!

« Clean, Comfortable, and Friendly Hosts »

Our bus tour stayed overnight and needed to leave early the next morning. The hosts agreed to provide breakfast earlier than usual. I thought we'd have pastries and cereal, but, no, someone had scrambled eggs and cooked sausages for the breakfast bar. Our room was clean, it was quiet, and we enjoyed our stay. I'd stay again.

    « Nice...Clean..Great Rate »

Stayed here with a motor coach tour...excellent service! The hotel rooms were big, great selection of television channels (which was great, not much else to do in Santa Rosa!) The grounds of the hotel were immaculate! The rooms were clean and recently remodeled. Would recommend staying here...management was friendly. Their breakfast was good with a nice selection

« A quick trip thru Santa Rosa NM »

« Our stay at Best Western, SANTA ROSA, NM »

    « Nice little place »

We found ourselves in the area while on a cross-country road trip. Got in late at night. The woman behind the desk was very nice. The room was clean and the beds were comfy. Was a little unsure as to the style of the room and the doors being outside, but they all seemed to be like that in that town. The town was like a ghost town at night. Breakfast was good. The same woman had come in during our breakfast and was talking with the kids and gave them each a snack for our trip.

    5
« Very friendly, clean and comfortable. »

We found this gem of a place on our trip to the west coast. At first we were unsure as it looked like an older place, but was pleasantly surprised . They had just remodeled their pet friendly rooms ( we were traveling with a dog) and the floors were of an easy clean, anti odor, waterproof wood. The room was very clean and comfy, very fresh smelling, better than a lot of the more expensive places we have stayed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Would recommend to anyone??

    2
« House keeping staff was very unprofessional »

House keeping staff came into our room and removed all bed clothing, towels, washcloths and soap while we were at breakfast before we had even checked out. Could not communicate with housekeeping staff because none of them could speak any English. We will never stay here again.

« Best Stay at Best Western »

I really think this was the best night stay we have had in a very long time. All the employees were pleasant and all went out of there way to make the stay comfortable~ The price was good and we both got a great night sleep!

    « Clean and Comfortable »

I have stayed at this Best Western twice and both times it has been very clean and comfortable. It is very quiet so you can sleep well. The staff is very accommodating, professional, and personable. I will stay here again in the future.

    « Very Impressed »

This is a very old style hotel/motel. The kind you would see in 70's. This property is extremely well maintained and updated. There have been major renovations which made our stay very pleasant. We were in unit 231. The bathroom and sink area was huge. Two separate sinks with vanities for all your toiletries. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast area is very small with only 3 or 4 tables. We are early risers so there was ample room for us.

This is a reasonably priced hotel with great service. I highly recommend them. It is an older hotel with clean rooms. It is not a fancy hotel. Just a great place to stop and sleep with internet and tv. Breakfast is good.

    « Cottage style »

We were impressed with the cottage style arraignment of the rooms. The 1 story room was very clean, accessible to unload baggage with front parking, very quiet, away from the highway. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent.

    « Comfort and Lovely »

I love the location, easy on and off. After a long day of driving, a wonderful room, hot shower and a comfortable bed is much needed. This Place was perfect in January 2016, so I stayed again in April and plan on staying again on my way home. Oh, and it's on the old Route 66, so down the road is the best Restaurant Serving Mexican food.

    « Love this place »

This is a favorite place to stay while on the road to Arizona. Nat Patel is the best! He is so friendly and is behind the counter..... a working manager! Clean, comfortable, super friendly and affordable what more could you want?

    « Tired Traveler »

Clean, neat, recently remodeled. Easily accessed and large parking area. If I was looking for a negative it would be the Wifi. Kept dropping the signal. Not a major problem. The only other problem was not the hotels. We reserved a room on what we thought was thru Best Western but was a scab site. Cost us $50 for this lesson.

    4
« Sweet Surprise, Dog Friendly and Comfy »

Very nice spot when travelling, and so clean and tidy. Much more competitive, and more value for the money, after seeing the similar priced places in Albuquerque. This is a winner for a good night's rest.

This is an extremely clean, quiet motel with lots of parking, easy freeway access and fuel. Accepts dogs and has a lot of open space to walk them. No complaints of any kind, except don't bother eating at Dairy Queen, down the street.

    « Awesome Experience! »

We are so glad we stopped at this hotel when driving from AZ back to MN. Fantastic room with the most comfy king bed, big screen TV and spacious area to move around, even had two vanities for quick getting ready in the morning. Quiet during the evening and over night made for an excellent night of rest. Staff was both friendly and efffienct, very welcoming both at check in, breakfast and check out.

« Relocating to Las Vegas »

Driving from Kingston, OK to Las Vegas,NV it had been a long day and I was not under a deadline so I was taking a leisure drive to Nevada. I was starting to get a bid road weary and started looking for a place to stay. I looked up the Best Western and found that it had great reviews and it was on the old Historic Route 66. I drove by several properties along the strip and circled back, they had a room and were able to suggest a great place to eat as well. Great morning coffee and breakfast, staff was friendly and they accept AAA travel club.

    3
    « Nice stop »

The rooms were spacious and clean. Somewhat older property, but well maintained and had been renovated. Breakfast was fair, nothing to complain about, but nothing to brag about either. I did have difficulty in understanding the gentleman who checked us in, but it was late and I had been driving all day, so that probably complicated things. Would consider stopping here again on a future trip.

    4
    « I'd stay here again »

I was wary of the hotel at first, as it is not private inside building entrances to rooms. Experiences with those types of older hotels have not been pleasant in the past. The hotel seems a little old, but the rooms were very clean and very spacious. Being the only female in a family of 4, I especially liked that there was an entire second sink/counter bathroom area in the shower/bath room. My boys really enjoyed the breakfast...waffles, eggs, potatoes and more. If I had ANY negative at all it's just that the coffee was barely coffee...and I went to McDonalds for something better. :-) Overall it was all good!

    « great rest stop »

    « Route 66 accomodations »

« Rare find. Exceptional accomadations. »

What a great place. First Santa Rosa exit off west bound I-40 on old US 66.Old style single story Motel where you park in front of the door to your room. We stayed in room 108 and it has a king size bed, a fridge, a microwave, dressing table with a mirror, chest of drawers. nice size table with two padded chairs and two sinks with spacious counters. One is in with the shower and the other is outside of the bathroom. The room is really clean and nicely decorated with new carpet. It has high definition Direct TV and great high speed internet. I clocked 14 Mbs/sec down more than sufficient to stream whatever. TV has HDMI inputs so you can connect your laptop or tablet. I loved being able to back the car up to the door and just have a few steps to unload. They serve breakfast and there is shopping and restaurants nearby. The traffic on old 66 was light so it was easy to get in and out. This is the most satisfied I have been with a room for a long time. I am sick and tired of 100 dollar rooms with crappy TV and turtle slow internet and this location provided everything that would make an extended stay enjoyable.

« Our Stay in Santa Rosa. »

This hotel is set up like an old fashion roadside motel. The difference is, it isn't seedy. If fact, it looks cool and like something you'd see in this part of the country. There is a separate lobby building where the breakfast is served. Breakfast is quite complete. Staff were nice. Pool was closed (Winter). I would definitely recommend this hotel.

    « New decor »

The new flooring was beautiful and the new faucets were a great addition. No more carpet. Yeah! The lobby had been redone also and was very eye appealing. We stay here often and the staff is very friendly. The motel is all one level so you don't have people walking above you.

    « Comfortable stay »

« Best Western in Santa Rosa »

Rooms clean and spacious. Easy to get to. Dining options nearby are good. Very quiet so a good nights sleep. I see no particularly good reason that this review has to be 200 characters long. I would think that shorter is better.

    « Good experience »

The desk was very accomodating and room was very clean, roomy, and comfortable. We would recommend and certainly would stay here again. There was hot breakfast food with plenty of assortments. Parking was available for our truck and small trailer.

« Five Star Hotel (My Opinion) »

We stayed at this motel in late February 2016. What a wonderful experience! Road weary, we made it to the motel just as the southwestern sun was going down. The motel was more than we ever dreamed! The room was clean, neat and beautifully done--as well as spacious. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom had two basins with two separate bathroom counters. Actually, I would describe our room as palatial--by mid-priced Best Western standards. Both the manager and the front desk clerk told us that the motel rooms had been recently renovated--and it really showed! The room was quiet, with obvious sound insulation in the walls. The free breakfast was good, with scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, biscuits and several other items. The front desk clerk was professional, polite and very nice. We decided to stay at this motel because it had a good rating when I checked on it six-nine months ago; this may have been before the rooms were renovated. The window heater/A/C worked very well and was smooth and quiet in operation. The electronic door lock only needs you to hold your key card in front of it to open the door (no card insertion needed). We will definitely stay at this motel the next time we come that way. My advice to you: run, don't walk to the Best Western Santa Rosa Inn! Texas Writer

We have stayed there 3 previous times. We were planning to stay there again in early April. Price of this place has gone up. PLUS WE ARE NOW PAYING $ 141 FOR AN AMERICAN DOLLAR. Too bad, we really enjoyed this place.

We had stayed in Santa Rosa previously with another chain. In the future, when we're in the area we will only stay in this hotel. As my wife said, "the best place we've stayed in! Great bed, excellent bath and super decor. Outstanding staff and great breakfast.

My wife and I have stayed at this Best Western multiple times over the past year. The staff is always fantastic, we have never had an issue with anything just consistantly great service which is important to us when traveling long distances. Its clean, quiet and has a great breakfast! You get the value you are paying for.

« Clean peaceful best place to stay »

I have spent many nights here coming and going to and from California to Oklahoma, The rooms are clean, has good water pressure. They allow my two dogs. Outside entrance that you can drive right up to. Friendly people real eggs for breakfast, but no bacon or biscuits and gravy, coffee is weak . There is McDonald's close by and few gas stations. I have not had a better place to stay in my travels through New Mexico.

After a long day on the road, I was ready to stop, although my goal was to reach this particular BW. The clerk, I believe she was an owner, went out of her way to welcome me. A bottle of water and a candy bar were offered as soon as my room transaction was completed. Obviously hungry, the clerk (owner?) called a local restaurant to make sure they were still open so I could get some dinner.

    « Super value! »

Clean and friendly...a great value...we will use this place again when we come back through. We loved the two sinks and mirrors...we didn't have to share!! :-) beds were comfortable. Night stand lamps had outlets on them to plug in our phones. The place was clean. breakfast was super.

« Excellent place to stay »

Everything was great about our stay at the Santa Rosa Inn. Room was spacious, nicely decorated, comfortable bed and pillows....everything very clean. The motel staff were all very friendly and helpful. They even suggested a shorter route for me to take that saved me many miles of driving. Breakfast was the normal motel breakfast, but everything was hot and delicious. Internet connection was good. I would definitely stay here again. Price was very reasonable too.

« Great stay, Great Breakfast »

Stopped here on our way to Barrett Jackson. Great stay in such a small town. The room was extremely clean and the bed was the best of our week long trip. The breakfast was awesome. Eggs, sausage, potatoes, pastries, cereal, etc. Anything you wanted !! It's just the breakfast we needed for our long trip that day, especially since the pickings for breakfast in this town are slim.

« Our Stay at the Santa Rosa Inn »

The room was spacious and clean. It looks like it has been recently renovated. The bed was soft with plenty of soft pillows. The breakfast was delicious, and it was freshly made. Room was ground floor, and we could park in front of our room. We highly recommend this motel.

    « Santa Rosa BW »

Having stayed at this property in the past, it was pleasantly nice and the room did not disappoint. Good bed and clean bathroom with lots of room. Rates could be some better with several motels in town and off season. Breakfast ok. Front desk man very nice. Would recommend and would stay again.

« Great place to stay »

To encounter a hotel/motel where absolutely everything works or functions as it should is truly a rare occurrence. The staff is friendly / helpful way beyond the 'call of duty'. Breakfast was excellent in very pleasant surroundings with a TV to inform us local weather conditions, which was very helpful during a snow event.

    « Ethically challenged »

We got caught here during the New Mexico blizzard. Our rooms the first night were like $100.83, second night was $168 and "Tomorrow will be $138". Tomorrow came and she says $168. I reminded her that she had said $138 and her reply was "oh, that was If you paid yesterday". I have no use for owners with this ethical mindset.

    « Generally Good »

Outside appearance was great. All rooms were drive-up to the door, which was very convenient. Newly renovated - nice. Breakfast was good - but lukewarm. Everyone was very friendly. Would return to this motel if past thru area again.

everytime me & my husband go on a road trip, we're always looking for best western hotel to spend the night. The rooms are clean & comfortable, & most specially we feel safe in this hotel. Breakfast are good too

« If I could I would rate it higher than 5 stars!! »

Stayed at my share of places but I can honestly say I had NO complaints!! The room was spacious enough room for us and two dogs. I liked the lay out of the room with one vanity in with the toilet and bath and the other in the room. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Decor was very nice. Had a nice selection for breakfast which included waffles, eggs, sausage, hash browns, cereal, yogurt and more!! Breakfast room was small but we were there early do no trouble moving around!! Couldn't hear the neighbors. Small grassy area to take the dogs to. Staff were very nice, smiles and hi's coming in to breakfast. Great when making the reservations. Definitely on my list of places to return to.

    « Outside a little leery but... »

The outside of the hotel looked suspect as an older, outdated motel but inside it was very nice and comfortable. Little stuffy at first and maybe a faint hint that somone smoked in that room at some time but overall very nice.

    « (B) rating »

We are Best Western Loyalty Club Members as we find most of their hotels reasonably priced and comfortable offering a healthy breakfast. This hotel is located in an economically depressed area but the restaurants offer the nostalgia of Route 66 which was the main highway until the interstate was built. The hotel is conveniently located but in a "motel" format - we prefer the hotel style accommodation where room access is from within the hotel. Decor was a little tired. Likely would not stay at this specific motel again.

    « Lovely Rooms »

The room was Lovely, the bed so comfortable, great night sleep. I traveled 18 days on this adventure. My husband and I needed to get out on an adventure. He had a stroke a year and half ago. This adventure was good and Best Western Made it great. I drove through many states, and I stay at best western because I need a good night sleep for the next days drive. The staff here is great and very helpful.

2nd stay at this hotel units in lower section are newer while upper units have been nicely updated this stay was a nonpeak time and price was very reasonable HOWEVER if it is peak time be prepared to pay a significantly higher price (based not on the hotel but on prices of hotels near by and the tourist industry) really don't bother with the continental breakfast unless traveling with family and interested in saving a little

« Very friendly and helpful staff »

The accomodations were clean and comfortable, including the bed. The staff were very helpful in setting up my wi-fi and finding and mailing a left behind watch. I would highly recommend staying at the BW Santa Rosa.

    « A bed for the night »

We had planned this as our destination for the second night of our road trip. It was a 16 hour day on the road so we were tired when we arrived. Had reservations which saved us, as property had no rooms left. ( who would have believed that in the middle of nowhere!). This property is dated, but the staff helpful and rooms clean and adequate. Breakfast was above average.

« Reminiscent of old time Motel »

We look forward to stopping here on our way to AZ for the winter. It is a mom & pop motel that is kept clean & very comfortable. Parking at your door & pets are allowed. The breakfast area is a bit small. This may seem trivial but the shower is great! I am short & have long hair so most showers have a weak stream that comes down in a cone shape & totally misses my head. This one has adjustable sprays & is excellent. The little things make me happy.

This is the best place to stay in Santa Rosa. They are a hop skip and a jump to the Blue Hole and close to the restaurants. We stay no were else and we travel to Arizona 3 or 4 times s year. Nat and his staff are great! In the summer the rooms are always cool when you arrive and on the winter they are warm and cozy.9

I was very happy with the check in process. The front desk lady was very friendly and made me feel very special for being a frequent visitor of Best Western, although it was my first time at this one. She offered me some very nice snacks and overall very welcome. Thank you!

    « Another great stay »

at Santa Rosa Inn, Santa Rosa, New Mexico. We stay at this motel several times a year. Lots of choices, but we have never had a problem here. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, courteous service. What more could you want?

    5
    « Very clean! »

Very clean! Might want to ask for extra shampoo and lotion when you check in. Only one of each in room. Big tv. Fridge and microwave worked well. All ground floor rooms which was convenient. Breakfast was ok. Lots of choices. Very pleasant employees. We will stay there again if we are in the area.

    « SnowBirds »

Great place. Parking at the door makes it so much easier for unpacking our vehicle. Breakfast area is small for the number of rooms but one can always take food back to your room. Planning to stop again on our return home in the spring.

    « Better than expected »

A very nice complete and competent check in by Luz Baca with additional information on places to eat. Traveling with our daughter and her dog the room was as clean as you would expect it to be. No odors or lingering smells. Comfortable bed and quiet. In the morning we had a wide selections of hot and cold items for breakfast which is provided by the owners Mr. & Mrs. N. Patel. A very pet friendly hotel for you to try on your trip or even without pets.

« Very Clean and had a good night's sleep »

This was a very clean hotel and the bed was very comfortable. It was located right where we needed to be between Tsaile AZ and Hobbs NM for the night and we ate dinner at a local mexican restaurant that had a gift shop with a lot of Historic Route 66 items to choose from and the hotel is right on Rt. 66.

    4
    « Nice stay »

I was on my way back to Missouri from phoenix and stopped for the night. There was a freak snow storm that hit Arizona and new Mexico and I did not want to drive in it at dark. The room was large and very comfortable. The bathroom door would not close easily (107) but I left them a note to fix. Staff was very friendly and the beds are extremely comfortable.

    3
    « Nice big room »

Service was satisfactory at checkin. The room is clean. Wifi available and a motel breakfast. Good stop when you are between big cities. Looks like a pool is available in the summer. Direct TV in the rooms with a great TV. Would stay here again.

    « Nice Surprise! »

We were so pleased with our clean, spacious, comfortable room in this motel on Rt. 66. The owners were very gracious and helpful and insured our return on our next trip west. The bathroom is small but has a great shower as well as an additional long counter and sink outside of the bathroom. It provided lots of space for both of us to get ready in the morning at the same time. Don't hesitate to stop here; you won't be disappointed.

« Great Room, Mediocre Breakfast »

Our room was excellent, and very clean. The tiny breakfast room is way too small for the number of guests that it tries to accomodate. People could not find a table to sit at and the line-up to use the one and only waffle maker was just too long. A second waffle maker would be a great improvement. The coffee was weak and tasteless, something like my brother-in-law makes over in Michigan. Good coffee is this motel's biggest opportunity for improvement.

    5
    « Great location »

We have stayed here several times. Any time we travel thru New Mexico we plan on staying here. Great clean well taken care of rooms. The entire location is spotless. The breakfast is always hot, fresh, and tasty. Thanks again for a great stay.

« You can't find a better place to stay! »

The cleanest room I have ever stayed in. The beds and bedding were great. Good breakfast too! Don't hesitate to make reservations here. One story and you park in front of your room. This is helpful if you need to get things out of your car.

    « Very Pleasant Surprise »

Take 4-star hotel rooms, drop them into a Route 66 motel, renovate and clean the entire property to pristine status and you have the description of this hotel. We came to this hotel while traveling across the country on a stretch of I-40 with few exits. Due to the TripAdvisor reviews, we booked a room in this property for late arrival. We were leery when we arrived and found that the hotel was actually a motel (remember them?). However, when we went into our room, we were very pleasantly surprised to find that the rooms were renovated to almost a luxury status - large, well-lit, and nicely decorated rooms; comfortable very clean beds; granite counters around sinks in the bathroom and outside. Beyond the surprise and nostalgia, it was nice to only have to take our luggage 10 feet from our car to our room rather than have to carry it through a busy hotel lobby, crowded elevator and perhaps a maze of hallways (which is now the accepted hotel experience). Apparently, this is a rare family-owned and operated Best Western franchise and the pride and attentiveness of this family is apparent.

    « Clean, Comfortable, Quiet »

Very nice hotel with friendly staff. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. They accept pets and have a good place to walk them. The staff provided several options for dinner and we were pleased with their suggestion.

« Excellent value when driving cross country »

We stayed here on a cross country drive and found it an excellent value . The rooms are large, clean and sparsely decorated. The beds were extremely comfortable. The rooms are anything but luxurious but the comfort and cleanliness and price certainly made up for that. The staff were extremely courteous and efficient. Would definitely stay here again.

« Great Place to Stay »

The BW Santa Rosa Inn in Santa Rosa, NM is one of the nicest and best value motels that we have stayed at during our travels. The staff is extremely friendly and the facility is extremely well maintained. Like the convenience of being able to park right at the front door of your room. I make it a point to stay here every time we are traveling through the area.,

« Great place to stay »

We are traveling cross country and always try to stay at Best Western. This is my second visit in 5 years to the B.W. in Santa Rosa, NM and for good reason. The staff, room and breakfast was as wonderful the second time as was the first. I'd recommend this motel chain to everyone.

    « Good night sleep »

Have stayed at this motel before, and will again. It's far enough away from the interstate that you don't get any road noise. It only has 1 floor so you can park right outside your room which is a big plus for me. Clean and large rooms, descent continental breakfast in the mornings, and friendly owners. The only drawback is there's not a lot of descent restaurants nearby, looks like most have closed down. I would recommend staying here, and will again myself.

« Great room, service and pet friendly, but why wasn't breakfast breakfast included ? »

This was a great place to stay for young your four legged traveling companion. Large comfortable, clean room with all the amenities you will need, except, breakfast was not included. Otherwise this would have gotten 4 bullets from us.

    « Great Hotel »

We don't normally stay in Best Westerns, but made a reservation based on reviews; we usually stay in Hampton's. We were a little leery, as the hotel had the look of an old style motel. We were greeted warmly by a very friendly gentleman. Everything was nicely cared for and neat in the office area. Upon entering our room, we found it very nice, modern and most importantly, shiny clean. We travel this way often and will definitely stay here again!

    5
    « Very nice stay. »

We found this Best Western by searching hotels on hwy 40 and after reading reviews booked it. It was really nice and taking our luggage straight in from the car was a plus. The free breakfast was also the best included one we have had so far.

    « Great night stay! »

    « Clean confortable room »

I was traveling for business. Called that afternoon to book a room. Got into Santa Rosa late after midnight. My room was waiting as promised. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean, with new paint and carpet, and the bed was comfortable. The heating and cooling system worked well. Good stay at a decent price. Hot breakfast in the morning. I wish I could have spent more time there. Santa Rosa has a lot of Route 66 sites to explore.

    « Pleasant Surprise »

My husband and I are snow birds, traveling from Iowa to Arizona in November. Our original plans had us stopping in Tucumcari for the night but we decided to drive a little further to Santa Rosa. We had never stayed in Santa Rosa previously but we were able to get reservations that day. Our room was very clean and we especially liked that there were two bathroom sinks. The two queen sized beds were quite comfortable. Access from Route 40 is easy. The complimentary breakfast was the usual fare. I would highly recommend the Best Western Santa Rosa Inn for your overnight stop!

    4
    « Clean at a fair price »

Single level with exterior doors in parking lot making for quite a bit of noise from people coming and going. Older property but very well maintained. Breakfast was very well presented for a motel breakfast. I would stay again.

« "Squeaky clean" property! Great breakfast! »

My husband and I travel through Santa Rosa at least once a year. We have stayed at most of the properties there. It had been many years since we had stayed at the Best Western. We usually stay at another hotel chain. This year, we decided to stay at this establishment, based on Tripadvisor's reviews. It was a wise choice! This place is family run and has been totally renovated. We definitely will return!

« Great older motel on Route 66 »

This is an older property located on the high plains where the air is crisp and clear. It has been has been well maintained with recent new mattresses. I had a great restful sleep. It is single level with parking at your door, which I prefer. The staff is very friendly. And pets are welcome.

    4
    « Pet Friendly »

Very clean and friendly place. We will most certainly stop again. Only reason not a 5 is the lack of good restaurants in Santa Rosa. We like the one floor for easy on loading of car. It was quiet and looked like a very good pool are however raining and cold the last time.

    4
    « Cross country on a Harley »

Great location, all ground floor rooms so you can park the bike right outside your room. Clean and neat. Breakfast items were adequate to fuel up a days travel. Plenty of nearby destinations to visit and right off Route 66, for those so inclined.

    « Nice Overnight Stop »

Spent one night on our way to Arizona. Nice motel with clean rooms and friendly staff. It is an older facility but has been remodeled/updated. Nice large rooms. Good breakfast but the area is a bit small (as with most older hotels/motels). We will stay here again next time through Santa Rosa.

    5
« Great one night stay! »

We spent one night here and we were very satisfied with everything! The motel was kind of "old timey" but had obviously been updated. Our room was roomy and very clean with a nice size bathroom with a sink and vanity in the actual bathroom and another sink and spacious vanity outside. The motel is one level so we were able to park immediately in front of our room which was very handy. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet. We had no problems with WIFI. Breakfast was one of the better we've had in our travels - eggs and sausage were delicious! Staff was very friendly - check-in and check-out was very efficient. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

    « Best Hotel/Motel in Santa Rosa. »

We were looking for a Best Western as our experience with chain was very good. I called from Taos (not Best Western) to make the reservation. This is an exceptional place. Recently redone, pleasing decoration, excellent TV and quiet AC, large two part bathroom with tub/shower, two lavatories and vanities and mirrors and comfortable beds. Very adequate breakfast. Friendly staff.

« DEPENDABILY GOOD PLACE TO STOP IN WESTERN NEW MEXIXO! »

We have stayed many times here at this Best Western due to its location and pet-friendly policy. I had need for accommodations again on the first night of three-day trip from Nebraska to California with a U-Haul truck containing my late Father's personal belongings and some furniture. After 13 hours of driving, my brother and I found our rooms ready and waiting for us. We grabbed some burgers at the nearby Dairy Queen and watched the final minutes of Sunday Night Football before retirng. We enjoyed a restful night's sleep in the large (10' x 20") room and departed the next morning after partaking of the complimentary breakfast, which was the standard fare for BWs. This motel is a great place to stay in western New Mexico and I highly recommend it. The husband and wife proprietors are friendly and attentive.

« Dog poop on the floor »

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the door to the room until I stepped on pile of dog poop. I do not understand how housekeeping could have missed that. Second room smelled like cigarette smoke. I would recommend checking in until you have fully examined room. Too bad because otherwise rooms would have been nice.

    « Luvfun2 »

We use this hotel when traveling to/from Arizona. It's clean, has micro/refrig, easy to find. Appears to be used by many snowbirds. Breakfast good. Would prefer skim milk but generally all food is hot. Beds comfortable. I like having outdoor access, can park right by room.

    4
    « Clean and restful. »

Nice large room, we requested double beds, no smoking. Very clean with plenty of towels. Not far to local cafes. Morning breakfast served to get you on your way. Not far from the interstate so easy to find.

« Fabulous bed, nice motel »

We stayed overnight on our way from OKC to Taos and this little Best Western was a pleasant surprise. Ground floor room made toting luggage easy. The room was immaculate and nicely done. Bathroom setup was 2 sinks, which made life easier. And the bed was heavenly! We will be booking a room here on our way back from the Mojave Desert, that's for sure.

« My spouse and I stayed here again for our yearly trip from Illinois to Arizona »

Accommodations, including bath and shower, are up-to-date and very clean. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Although this was the weekend when the Balloon Fiesta in Alburqeurque, New Mexico started the and rate was relatively reasonable. We frequently stay at Best Western Hotels as we travel across the U.S. This is a good value.

    « My stay »

Was a very nice place to stay easy off easy on food and convenience store short distance from the motel. Bed was very comfortable and the room was clean I will stay again. There is an outdoor pool and was told it was heated but I never got in. For the price of the room it was very nice.

    « Enjoyable place. »

I reviewed this place years ago but stayed out there this past weekend and wanted to update. Was very happy with the cleanliness and comfort of this hotel. We had to leave early on sunday but the clerk let us grab a few breakfast items to eat on the road which we really appreciated. Only down side is the Dennys next door is out of business. We walked down the street to Silver Moon restaurant for dinner and it was good. Also a Dairy Queen across the street. I do recommend this hotel.

« overnight stay in Santa Rosa »

Clean, nice motel with a large room and comfortable bed. Front desk staff is friendly and helpful. I like staying at Best Westerns because they are usually owner operated and allow dogs, even though I did not travel with mine. We were only in Santa Rosa for one night, but got a good nights rest here. I was able to appreciate the cleanliness of this motel because on or way back home we stayed at a Baymont Inn in Amarillo that was horrendous!
