Best Western Plus Saint John Hotel & Suites

Easy to book/check-in - we'd go again. Best Western "Brand" tells you what to expect in terms of amenties etc. etc. and that's what we got. THe hotel was not very busy so it was comfortable using the Breakfast room and pool and front desk comversations were quick.

Everything from the second we walked in and walked out was perfect! Will definitely be staying here again! My kids loved the pool and all the options for breakfast! The pool was nice and warm my baby also enjoyed it.

This hotel had everything we could want. My family booked two rooms for 3 days. We used the pool and fitness center. The breakfast was complete with everything. Lots of seating, Great specialty coffee machine. Everything worked. Ice and candy machines. The rooms were spacious and clean. Beds were perfect. Parking lot was plowed and salted with convenient free parking. Staff were friendly. My remote had lazy batteries but I replaced the remote at the front desk without issue. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is my go to accomodation when I work in Saint John one week every month. They have quiet rooms, some with state of the art HVAC wall thermostats so room conditions can be customized. Free WiFi does the job nicely. Breakfast is a standout - Trina and her assistants provide fresh hot food including baked goods and are always friendly as they meet everyone's needs and requests. They never run out of the hot breakfast items even when the hotel is extremely busy.

The front desk and cleaning staff was pleasant. Nice treat to have a coffee/hotchocolate machine that dispenses really nice warm drinks. Hotel location was good. Near a lot of shopping and restaurants

This was a last minute planned stay. Due to illness I needed a place in a good location to amenities nearby. This hotel always got my day off to a good start with breakfast, knowledge of services in the area, taxi, and I felt secure

Good quality hotel. Great beds and loved the nice deep tub. Pillows are THICK. great walking distance to shopping and easy out to airport. Pretty pricy but seems to be the norm now. They need to monitor guests/ staff are suing the correct smoking area at night though. Cigarette/ weed smoking drifted into my room all night.

Great place to stay! We were very impressed with the staff, especially Loreal..she was great helping us find a restaurant for dinner. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable and they also had an awesome breakfast.

Three hours after arriving in St. John, one of us was in the SJRH with a broken hip. Our plans to visit friends we had not seen for eleven years were dashed. The staff at this BW Plus provided every sort of assistance and encouragement during this difficult time.

I was shocked at the location of the room. Middle of shopping plaza far outside of town. I know BWs are often in these places but not a the price I paid. Perhaps if you can find this hotel at a more approriate rate, it is ok.

The Best Western in Saint John met all my expectations and I'll definitely stay again in the near future. The price seems like a lot, but every hotel is doing that now which is the unfortunate reality.

This place is one of the best!!! Each employee ends up feeling like family. They are in a great location and care about your individual needs. For longer visits, they have a washer and dryer which is fairly priced. The main breakfast person Trina, is like no other, she always has a smile on her face and really wants you to have a great stay. All the front staff are helpful and also with smiling faces, to even ask you how your day is going. Maintenance is friendly and will fix issues quickly. I originally was hesitant to stay at a Best Western but this place has changed my perception of what Best Western can offer.

The suites here are all updated and have no carpet except in the bedroom. They are spacious and very clean. Beds are real comfortable and housekeeping is available daily if you wish. Showers are good too. Breakfast could be better but we enjoyed the pastries and coffee/tea. Check-in front desk staff and all staff are excellent here. I would highly recommend.

Great service, food and very clean. Location was close to everything. Food and shopping. Nice pool and gym. Room was spotless. Shampoo and personal items provided. Overall great experience had by all.

My family and I loved it so much we stayed another night . It started with the pictures on the walls as you entered and all throughout the building. Then the guy at the front desk (Joe) was so patient as we try to pay for the room, I my wife was having issues with her card. Then as you move through the hotel everything was clean and in order, they call our room to see if we needed anything and if the room was to our liking. The pool and Jim was very quiet and relaxing, then the breakfast was great and they had a staff in there keeping things in order and refilling. The area that the hotel is located in a great great area and safe and clean. Shopping malls and restaurants in walking distance. Hats off to Joe the front desk clerk it was him that cost me to stay because of him people skills. I wanted to stay at one of the other hotels but my wife said let's stay here so we did and as we was going into the room and was discussing the service we remember, before coming to Canada in 2018 I had my wife and I stayed at a best Western in Florida then one in Nova Scotia in 2020 now in 2023 in Saint John. This is my hotel of choice now. Don't get me wrong the whole staff was outstanding but joe was the first person we dealt with and he was amazing.

Good location, close to plenty of stores,restaurants and even a Costco. Booking over the phone and check in was handled by Loreal. She was extremely pleasant and engaging, just the sort of person you would like to see after a long day of driving. The buffet breakfast was one of the best we have seen including homemade muffins and even a fancy coffee machine.

Hotel is located an easy 12 minute drive to St John Regional Hospital.. which was the reason for our stay. Many restaurants and tons of shopping within minutes of the hotel. Perfect choice for your next stay in St John.

Great location, close to shops, restaurants. They do well to allow teams (which is what we were) to stay there, kept all close together and let the kids roam around without being bothered for the day, quiet time at 10pm which is totally fine. They allow adults to hang out in the breakfast area to enjoy some evening sociables. :)

Great overnight stay! Love Best Western hotel as they are always super clean and they have very quiet rooms! Will definitely be going back! Love how it's located close to all the shopping and many restaurants. PLUS no parking fees!!!

This is the best place in Saint John to stay. The people are amazing, it is so clean and well maintained. The rooms are always clean, and you can tell they care about your stay at their hotel. The service is simply great!

If you want a clean room, friendly and efficient staff and a great breakfast, then this is your place to stay. They are installing new flooring which has eliminated my allergy to most hotel rooms (I'm allergic to the carpet). The pool was lovely as well and the beds were very comfortable.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay! The hotel is really clean and the staff is friendly! The breakfast has lots to choose from and fresh fruit as well. We were close to all amenities that we needed within walking distance.

I had a great stay at this Best Western. I normally don't choose Best Western but I'm glad it was available. Great location, rooms were super clean, and great study area in the room. The service here was excellent & lots of parking available. The best part was the breakfast that was included the next morning. Sooo many hot options! This was the best hotel breakfast I've had in a while.

I absolutely always enjoy my stays here at Best Western Plus in Saint John. Fantastic staff, management and facilities. I have stayed at other motels in this town when no avaialabilty at Best Western and there is no comparison, Experience at Best Western is the best!!

A lovely clean modern bedroom and bathroom. Very friendly check in and check out. Great service in the restaurant - food was good. The laundry facilities were very good. The hotel had plenty of parking and well located.

We had a great stay here. Close to major big stores. Easy to get to the Bay of Fundy, but the best part was how helpful the staff was. Just a well trained staff to ensure your stay is positive and problem free! Great bathroom and shower facilities.

All was in order as we expected. Parking was more than adequate. Breakfast offerings were well arranged and easy tp choose. Bathroom was well equipped and well lit. Desk and TV were all we needed as were the 2 phones.

What an incredible value! Immaculate hotel and rooms. Spacious suites for a very low price. A free breakfast is included. I am not sure how this stacks up against other hotels/motels in St. John, but compared to other lodgings that we stayed in Nova Scotia, PEI, and New Brunswick this was far superior and at a lower price. A great value that includes a full breakfast buffet!

Very clean, friendly staff and beautiful pool. All in all a nice place, only available room was a jacuzie room which I did not need but nice and cost extra in the hotel rate which I did not really need.

Our first time staying at the Best Western in the Saint John area. Good value. Friendly staff. Location near shopping and restaurants was very convenient. We checked in late at night and were accommodated for a later checkout time the next day.

I recently traveled to Saint John for work, and spent eight nights over a two week period at the Best Western Plus in Saint John, and had a great experience. They were undergoing external renovations at the time, which may have caused issues for those working nights and requiring daytime sleep. My room (king bed suite) was clean, roomy, and comfortable, yet did not break the bank. The location of the hotel afforded excellent shopping and restaurant variety within walking distance. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The morning breakfast was varied and satisfying, though I would have appreciate more fresh fruit. I also would have preferred if the AC/heating unit did not fully turn off after the AC compressor stopped, as the constant turning off and on was disruptive to my sleep, but this is less a critique of my stay, and more of something for Best Western to consider when replacing those units in the future. Overall, my stay at Best Western Plus in Saint John was excellent, and should I need to return to Saint John for work, I will likely stay with them again.

Just spent 4 nights at the BW in Saint John, NB. Overall it was a pleasant stay. The room with 2 Queens was very clean but had cheap laminate flooring rather than carpeting and only had the desk chair to sit on beside the beds. The included breakfast was the typical selections but the only time we ate there, the eggs were cold and the bacon somewhat under cooked. All employees from the front desk to housekeeping were very friendly..

The room was clean, bed was comfortable. Stayed on the 2nd floor, and it was very quiet. Fresh towels were given promptly when we put the used ones out in the hallway (we opted for no housekeeping). The breakfast was great, with a lot of variety. The pool and gym were both clean. The staff was helpful. Overall was a great stay.

This hotel was very clean and very close to all stores of every kind to shop and lots of food all wthin walking distance .The staff were helpful and friendly as well as the taxi driver we called for my grand daughter and myself from the mall with our days shopping trip :)

Best Western Plus is in a great location for the lovers of shopping! Although it was not the reason for our stay there it is nice being surrounded with all the shops & restaurants. Very clean, quiet hotel. Friendly staff. A bit pricey but comparable to others Mattress can use an upgrade or a flip at least

Great service on check in. Very personable guy at reception Joe?. Quiet. Super Comfortable bed . Nice shower. Good buffet breakfast. Scrambled eggs sausages ham beans. Lots of other stuff I didn't try . Coffee was good. Bushes were well pruned They even had a gentleman gardener outside planting flowers at 8 AM.

Best Western is very close to all necessary amenities and comfortable place to stay. Coffee is great and staff very considerate. Although away from home for two night it was easy to fall asleep and remain comfortable.

Absolutely no problems staff very helpful.Had to leave for work and kitchen staff , opened dining early for breakfast. Front desk staff was able to honor my last minute request for a ground floor room

Arriving at The Best western Saint John with my Family to Check In was a Very Unwelcoming experience. This Hotel does not except any forms of Payment that I usually make my reservations other then a Credit Card. Visa Debit nor Cash is excepted as Payment for reservation even tho you can guarantee Online for making your reservation. Once I established to the staff member I did not have a Credit Card to use as I use my Visa Debit for any reservation I ever make, I was quickly told the Hampton up the road would take my business. At a loss for words and embarrassed I called my husband over to figure out what we could do as I did not want to leave and hunt down another room to meet our specific standards (We only rent hotel rooms with separate quarters for living areas from bedroom as we have a 5 year old that will not sleep without being separated from any sort of noice. So King Suites or Deluxe Suites are our usual choice) After moving money around on Credit Cards we received our hotel room key. My Family and I proceeded to our hotel room a King Deluxe Suite and was met with anything but updated rooms as stated online. Walking in we were met with the only decor displayed a ripped painting on the wall in the living room area. We sat our bags down and walked around in the Bedroom the heater/air conditioner on the wall under window was stuffed with towels under it for what I could only assume was to catch water? Back to the Living-room area we sat down to watch some TV and enjoy our Lunch. After locating The Tv Remote I was surprised to see it was wrapped with so much scotch tape to hold it together it was laughable that they thought that it would still work, which it did not! So I guess in the end maybe it is a sign that the staff is telling people that Hampton up the road is a choice for guests and maybe we should heed the warning?

Sheets had several areas of dirt on them and found several hairs on fitted sheet at the bottom of bed. Front desk came and changed them and apologized but this completely ruined my sleep. The coffee at breakfast was undrinkable

I've only had positive experiences staying at the Best Western Hotels in NB. It's my go to hotel when I travel. They always have friendly staff and the rooms never disappoint. I love staying at the Best Western!

I stay at Best Western's alot. I enjoy this hotel as it is close to shopping etc, and it is quiet when you need to get a restful sleep.. The staff are very accommodating and really make you feel like a valued guest. Bed was super comfortable and the room was exceptionally clean.

A very nice hotel. The rooms are large and spacious and very comfortable. Staff are friendly and polite professional. A real breakfast which was nice yes you have to prove that you have COVID vaccine but at the end it's much easier as all in all a good experience. Would have been nice to enjoy hot tub. And would happily go back again.

We spent 8 nights enjoyable nights at this hotel. There was a mix up with our reservation so we had to move rooms a couple of times just to ensure we were able to complete our vacation without moving to another hotel. They were most accommodating and very helpful. The breakfast each morning was fresh and hot. The pool and fitness facilities were always available and clean. Would definitely be a place I would stay at again if I was in the area.

The location is very convenient, close to main shopping malls, not far from downtown, lot of parking space and the service is A+ from receptionist to cleaning staff. Breakfast hits the spot. It certainly makes a good start of your day.

I will never stay at another hotel branch. I've never been dissatisfied when I choose to stay here. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. I always feel taken care of when I am there. No matter what time of day, they are there to help.

We stayed at the Best Western in St John. It was great, clean, very curtious staff, amicable, ready to help. Room was great, very comfy beds. With our sore back we need a good bed, hard with soft top. Pillows were comfy.

The property is great. Very clean and well kept up. The rooms are great. The breakfast option due to COVID is not great. You emailed what you want from a super limited list of eggos and Quaker instant oatmeal. I wish I would have known that before I booked. That being said once things go back to normal I'm sure it will be great.

People should be made aware that this is a Covid isolation hotel and that if you stay here then you are being put at a much higher risk of infection than at another hotel that isn't. They are not an "official quarantine" hotel but they are allowing any workers or travelers who need to come from out of province and who are required by law to self isolate by law to use their facility. This is why the breakfast in this BW is delivered and is not a Grab and Go bag like at other BW's. When I rang down to reception after checking in to confirm this information and to ask if we would be refunded if we decided not to continue the stay as we didn't feel safe, the manager (Jasmine) grabbed the phone out of her staff's hand and VERY rudely did everything in her power, short of actually lying to convince me they were not an isolation hotel. Early the next morning it was confirmed by another staff member that they allow anybody who has to stay in isolation to stay there, they use the back stairs in and out of the building (the stairs that go directly past the pool!) and that all precautions are being taken. The same stairs that ANYBODY can use! Are the handrails wiped after every use? Of course not! This hotel is potentially putting people's lives in danger and is not allowing guests to make an informed decision on consent by not telling potential guests.

Modern hotel, nice clean rooms, great water pressure in shower, in our room the queen size beds were extremely comfortable, pillows were a little hard for my liking, very clean hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel.

In a time when travelers may be concerned about leaving home; I never worry when I stay here . The extra cleaning efforts are evident, and staff always go the extra mile. Thank you for all you do to make our family feel secure and welcome when accessing health care services in Saint John.

My husband and I stayed one night here just as a get away and it was fantastic! The suite was beautiful, extremely clean and the staff were wonderful and welcoming. Will definitely be back. Our suite was one of the nicer ones in Saint John, we were pleasantly surprised and happy with our stay!

Easy check in and check out, allowed to book pool time at time of booking instead of check in. Room was very clean, breakfast delivered on time. We had the pool to ourselves which was great considering covid. I was also contacted about picking up an item that I left behind.

The staff at this hotel are always friendly and welcoming. I have always had a quiet and restful experience. It is always clean and the modifications made since COVID have not taken away from the service or atmosphere.

Nice hotel, no issues. Central location for mall and retail areas. We had a king suite so we had a tv room and a bedroom. Chose breakfast from a menu and was derived due to Covid, no buffet. Room was comfortable.

The Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The room overall was clean and comfortable. I found the sofa uncomfortable and the tv service should be upgraded to a HD service not basic cable that doesn't have HD.

I took my daugheter and her friends to stay at the Best Western for a fun overnight getaway in January before they went back to school. They offered our "bubble family" private swim times in the pool, which the kids loved! They delivered breakfast to our room in the morning, which was very convenient. Everything was super clean, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

The rooms, to the breakfast to front desk and housekeeping, are excellent I would recommend if you need to stay at a hotel, best western is the one for you, I have never been disappointed, and I bet you won't either, but honestly don't take my word for it, stay and see for yourself

I stayed as I had a family member in hospital. I couldn't get over how easy the staff made things for me while maneuvering the guidelines of a global pandemic! Everything was spotless clean and modern. Can't wait to come back!

I enjoyed my stay over all. The wifi connection was great for my conference calls. Even with all the Covid restrictions, the hotel was still able to provide all the necessities that were needed. Great location.

One night stay. Check in was fast and the desk person friendly. Room was disappointing. Very dated. Rug seemed to be dirty because it was darker than the edge. Bed was comfortable but had a strong bleach smell..Maybe comforting to some to know that they are sanitized. Heat/AC was very noisy. The room had coffee/tea area and fridge. Breakfast was delivered to our door, which was nice. Received an email the night before to remind us that we hadn't placed our order. After staying in about 8 different hotel during the “the time of COVID bubble “. This was impressive. All in all if your heading to Saint John to shop it's an ideal place to stay.

Excellent service!! Rooms were very clean and well sanitized!! Staff was friendly and very helpful and Courteous...The location was the best!!! close to everything we needed...malls, food places, hospital where we were visiting a relative.

Went to ST JOHN REGIONAL HOSPITAL for health reasons, we were close to stores,restaurants.gas bars and coffee shops .Hotel staff was excellent, rooms very clean and comfy. Would highly recommend to everyone. Thanks again for everything. Would surely stay again and again. L.GORVEATT

Stayed 1 night here. Room was clean and comfortable. Not allowed to sit on sofas in lobby. Breakfast offered was water, granola bar, yogurt, fruit cup which was homemade in a plastic dish with plastic wrap for cover and no juice on it, and cold breakfast sandwich. Have stayed at other hotel which offered hot breakfast served by staff instead of self serve. Expected better from a Best Western. Pool closed.

We stopped here after travelling all day and had a relaxing stay. Easy place to find off the highway and conveniently located near box stores and restaurants. Staff was pleasant, and the rooms were clean and spacious for our needs. The breakfast options were plentiful. We will definitely keep this place in mind the next time we come to the Maritimes!

My wife stayed here while I had tests at local hospital. Brittany & Zack on the front desk took exceptional care of my wife and really help to calm her while she awaited info on my results and my discharge time. This required numerous extensions to check out, early check in and of course all during the Covid-19 restrictions, They really provided the best service humanly possible.

Best Western staff was outstanding, typical of the great Maritime hospitality. The hotel as very well looked after; breakfast was well done and the stay simply very pleasant. In addition the location had an incredible number of walkable amenities.

We stayed for 2 nights to watch the AUS track and field championships. Great location near the fieldhouse, and shopping if someone wanted that too. There are only 2 minor complaints that would be easy to rectify. The first was the TV in the breakfast room was playing CNN too loud, a horrible way to start the day. They readily agreed to turn it down when I asked. The second was a 2 broken beer bottles near the front desk that were cordoned off but not cleaned up for hours, despite lots of pieces of small glass. I think any staff member should have vacuumed it up without waiting for house staff to come in. We enjoyed the stay and will return.

Great stay close to restaurants shopping clean rooms common areas and continental breakfast. Staff friendly. Would recommend to others. Pool a great added didn't get to use fitness centre but looked clean and quite a few pieces of equipment.

We were in Saint John area for a sporting event and didn't want to stay too far from the venue and Best Western was our choice as it was across the road from the sporting facility.it's at a very good location easy access to and from any stores in the area.

The hotel was super clean and the staff were very nice and friendly. The reception desk fellow mentioned things about the location in reference to the proximity of services like restaurants and the shopping close by. He also called shortly after I got to my room to see that I was satisfied with the accommodations.

Very friendly and helpful Staff. Motel and room was very clean and well stocked. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Breakfast was great, variety of egg, bacon, sausage, cereals, muffins, yogurt, fruit, and it just keeps going.. we were very pleased. Highly recommended.

A place where the staff and rooms are top notch! The staff is incredibly accommodating, and the rooms were so clean. Best of all...KING. SIZE. BED! That sold me on here even before meeting such a wonderful staff! 10/10 would recommend.!

Nothing really to complain about, very comfortable, clean, reasonably priced. Plus the rewards are very much appreciated, I really like that Best Western offers loyalty rewards to clients. Good location, close to anything you could be travelling for and easy to access and leave from.

This hotel is located in a great place, close to all amenities. The beds are just like sleeping on a cloud, and there is always an extra pillow for each bed. The staff is very accommodating and respectful.

We booked this short notice on our way through New Brunswick. Joseph was very helpful on the phone in taking our booking! Location is great just off the highway, and in the centre of a great business park with all kinds of stores and restaurants.( We ordered a pizza form Papa John's and it was delivered on time and delicious.) Hotel has a great pool and breakfast. The breakfast keeper was very helpful and did a great job tending the buffet, topping everything up regularly. Super clean rooms. Fridge in room too. A perfect setting for families. Great value. The room fans were a bit noisy. It's white noise though, so it may not bother most people.

This Hotel and experience was amazing from the property to guest rooms and the staff are incredible! Elisabeth, at the front desk was kind, helpful and we were not in our room for 10 minutes, when she had called to see if everything was satisfactory.

great staff.. wasn't very busy and very new site... we found the location handy for driving off the hyway.. if you are looking for down town, this is a little drive, but we were mobile so it didn't matter for us... close to new box store shopping..

Very warm, cozy and just right. Excellent sleep, breakfast and staff. I was there for eye surgery and was taken care of like I was a family member. We always get the junior suite. It's nice to have 2 separate rooms.

My girlfriend and I come to Saint John once a year for Christmas shopping and just a nice getaway... Nowhere else in Saint John that we would stay. Rooms are always clean, water is always hot and the breakfast provided is always top notch.

Awesome pool, breakfast, and room. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only issue was kids upstairs running around until past 10:30 at night, but staff was on way to speak to them. Overall, very happy and great location.

Very nice stay. We asked for a late check out which was not a problem. Hotel very close to all amenities so were able to walk to several restaurants and bars. Shopping at 2 large malls were also with in a short drive.

On this stay, we were upgraded to junior suite which was nice gesture, but we really didn't care for aspects of the room. Mainly, the sitting area of the suite had no carpet, making the room feel austere and cold. The hallways felt like they had a lower ceiling height and the lighting was a bit dim. The junior suite room layout might suit a small family or the business traveller, but without carpet or windows in the seating area, we just didn't care for. We do appreciate the bathroom layout, where the tub and toilet are in a separate room from the vanity - it makes it easier for two people to get ready at the same time in the morning. Breakfast staff were efficient and good at keeping supplies up. The check-in experience was average at best, no recognition of our membership, not unfriendly, but not friendly.

Very clean and very friendly staff. They made my whole experience a very good one. My mom was having a procedure done at the hospital. The beds were extremely comfy and 4 fluffy pillows on each bed. So we got a good rest for her procedure the next morning. And so close to all your shopping needs.

Great night staff during check-in and terrific room. Location is kind of hidden, needed navigation to find it. A much better variety of food than most complementary breakfasts. Only national fast food and pizza shops close to hotel, you'll need to go some distance for something different.

This is the second time that I have stayed in a best western with the best bed. I slept so well. The food was nice and hot at Breakfast and the two gentlemen working were very accommodating and the eating area....very clean. The desk staff were friendly and very accommodating as well.

This hotel is located just off the Saint John through way and near various fast food and retail outlets. It was ideal for us as a base to visit the sights of Saint John. Our room was very clean and spacious with super fresh linens and towels. We would have preferred a microwave in our room but we were given access to a communal one in the dining area. The indoor swimming pool was a really good size and a great place to relax after a day's sightseeing! The staff were all really pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was superb. The staff were excellent at keeping all the food trays full and constantly wiping the tables and serving areas. We have never had such hot breakfast food served as hot as it was here. It really was exceptional and so much nicer than getting "warm" food. All in all, we had a great stay here and would recommend this hotel to others without any hesitation.

Very nice stay. Room was clean and comfortable. Wish we had been near this hotel our entire trip. The one downside was trying to locate a nice place to eat, as we were completely unfamiliar with the area.

The room we had had a bed that was hard that it was like sleeping on a stiff board. We woke up sore and got up very early. Will not stay at this hotel again. And will not recommend it to anyone. I'v stayed in hundreds of best Westerns and found a few wanting and to this list I add Saint John.

We usually stay her when visiting as it is close to our family but the hotel is 12-13 min east of downtown. There is no restauenat attached but there are a few chain restaurants close by and chain shopping The room was clean and spacious and the beds are comfortable. They free breakfast has variety and was hot and well stocked the attendent John is fantastic he keeps the food stocked and the tables etc clean.

Great hot breakfast with fresh coffee and baked goods that change daily. Very clean hotel rooms. The service was excellent. I would recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area on business or pleasure.

Stayed here for one night during our recent trip to PEI, NB, and NS. Very clean, perfectly designed room - lots of sink space, 2 TV's, can close bedroom door to block bathroom light or TV from living area. Good breakfast. Newer area of town.

Room was fine, we stayed in the jacuzzi suite, because it was the only room available when we needed it. Breakfast was provided and was good, quick and lots of options. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Was on the 4th floor with my two elderly parents both 72. At check out had to take both of my parents and their luggage down 4 flights of stairs, very diffcult for my dad who uses the aid of a cane, this made the last leg of our trip start extremly rough. No apoligie even offered from front desk staff & didn't ask about anything about the stay. Very disapoined

I booked this based on reviews. I really caution anyone booking this place. This is an honest review. The Manager I believe, Jasmine was wonderful at check is. Very helpful and professional. I got to my room and is smelled horrible. Looked really aged. It did seem clean just very tired, stained carpet, and needing some care.It was So musty that it burned my nose. I noticed the air conditioning wasn't on. I turned it on and left for dinner. There was a line up at the desk so I didn't complain, I thought I would wait to see when I returned. Maybe it just needed air. I returned from dinner and same smell. I went down to the desk. The evening staff said that they were new and nothing they could do. Not even an offer for house cleaning, room freshener or any concern. Just that they are sold out, so is everywhere else and they couldn't help. I asked if I could get a refund if I left and they said they are new so they don't know. The were not even considerate or professional, at all. I ended up staying as everywhere was sold out. The next day while visiting a client I am told that two people were found murdered at this place. Look it up on google its true. It was room 410. I wonder if this was the room. So gross...... I will be calling their Head Office.

My husband and I stayed at the Best Western Saint John because we were visiting a family member in the hospital. A hospital rate was provided to us by Best Western, which we very much appreciated. It made an otherwise difficult trip just a little bit easier. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and quiet. The complimentary breakfast served each morning was very tasty with a good variety of foods. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay and would certainly stay there again if the need were to arise.

Worst night ever. We were in a room in front of a wedding party reunion !! We could not sleep. People banged at our door during the night !We complained to hotel but got no apologies or understanding . On the contrary the receptionist told us to stop complaining and offer 20dollars réduction !

Hotel was very clean and located lose to mall and restaurant. The breakfast which was included had a great variety including sausages, ham, Turkey sausage, small veggie omelets, and scrambled eggs. There were also lots of fresh pastry and some fruits. Pool was nice and very clean so was great for kids! Overall a great value!

New Hotel, in the middle of a large shopping plaza, the staff was very pleasant and helpful. The room was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. There was a large variety of food for breakfast. We did enjoy our stay.

We stayed in St John after a long day of travel. We were welcomed at the front desk & had an easy check in. We got good advice for a quick & tasty dinner. We had a very restful night and had a good breakfast with many selections. We would recommend this place in a heartbeat!

New and modern, very well run. Attentive, courteous staff, friendly and helpful. Took the time to call up to our room after 15 minutes to make sure all was to our satisfaction...nice touch. Comfy beds, large bathroom, efficient A/C unit. Well located in commercial area surrounded by big box stores and restaurants. Just west of city, about ten minutes to downtown with almost never any traffic. Definitely our stay-over place when we are in town visiting family. Reasonable rates!

Good service, good breakfast, poor description on how to get to hotel and out. Room are of good size, neat. Internet services are easy to access. Might be going back if needed but will have to check direction to hotel in more details.

We stay at this hotel every time we are in Saint John and have not had a bad experience. Being BW points members of a cerain level we have always been offered an upgrade and wind up getting a break on the rate so we usually wind up in a suite. The beds are comfortable, everyting has always worked (AC, showers, etc) and service is good. The hotel is quiet and located outside the downtown area. It is however close to a major mall and lots of strip malls if you are thinking of shopping. The directional signage the hotel has put up street side once you are off the TransCanada Highway is clear and accurate. The breakfast is typical BW and is offered in a small lunch room off the lobby. There is a pool and self-service laundry on site. Staff are helpful and courteous.

Good: They had a room available. It was clean. The Breakfast was good. My double bed was comfortable. Bad: I don't get the 4.5 star overall rating. My two stars are based on value. So $179/Canadian IMO is pretty overpriced for this level of hotel. I always kick myself for not saying "No", and walking out. But after driving all day you just want a shower and a bed. I was worn out. Ok, so I don't mind paying $179 for the night but the Hotel better have enough amenities to make up for the cost. Like an Ice Machine on the 4th floor where they put you. (Negative) Like Free Laundry Machines...($1.50/load) (Negative) Like a room that isn't as plain as a 1990 room. (This place needs a remodel!) I expect a lot m pi re from a Best Western Plus. The carpet was worn smooth and had stains on it. (See pics) The elevator was SLOOOOW; and I had to wait each time I boarded. They need three elevators...they have one small sized one. Ugly: I'm really tired of the Best Western Membership. I've been one for over 10 years but this time my name (the one whose paying for the room) did not come up. So I had ZERO Points to help out on the price. My wifes name did come up; and she was a "Gold" member and qualified for TWO 12oz bottles of water...WHOOPY!!! For this price two waters should be included @ no charge. By the way, my wifes Gold rating qualified us for 10% off and my $179 price refects that 10% discount. I'm just really tired of the game they play with you as if it even mattered. Trip Advisor showed three ways to get a $115 room and we showed it to them but they said no it was $179. The young "In Training" Receptionist seemed to have a smirky way about her. Like, "Let me count thy ways I'm learning to screw over these travelers". Well that's fine...they squeezed it out of me again; and life goes on, but not without this honest review.

We stayed here for 2 nights (not consecutive nights), the first time our room was on the 2nd floor (only OK) and the second time on the 3rd floor (better). A very busy hotel with the usual things you would expect from this chain. It's not located in "downtown" Saint John, however it's a quick drive into town and the hotel is also convenient if you use it as a base to go elsewhere. Overall it serves its purpose: convenient, good value, and comfort. I have the impression rooms vary greatly here so an upgrade may be necessary to get a more comfortable room.

My husband and I had a very pleasant stay at the Best Western Saint John. I have stayed in many hotels in Saint John for work, and this was definitely the best for the price. Check in was very easy and the room was clean and quiet. We used the pool on the first night - it's a small size pool (no hot tub) but worked great. It was also very accessible from the room. Breakfast was the highlight - this hotel's kitchen does one thing and does it very well. It's a hot breakfast and everything tasted fresh. The coffee was routinely changed and was very good. Will definitely stay here again next time.

Exceeded our expectations, best sleep we've had in years, wanted to take bed home. Clean and welcoming. Breakfast was very good, hotel is close to our family and shopping, lots of parking and places to eat in walking distance.

This hotel is close to the Airport and all amenties like Wal-Mart and Swiss Chalet across the street. Would not stay any where else when I am Saint John. Bed was very comfortable and the room was nice.

We are always pleased with our accommodations at Best Western Hotels, and this one was no exception. Our king suite was large and comfortable, with two t.v.'s and a nice sitting area. We were happy to see white sheets and comforters on the bed because we know they are washed after every guest stay. The breakfast was very good, with a lot of choices from hot entrees that changed daily, to muffins, warm and cold cereals. waffles with a variety of toppings including whipped cream, various breads and fruit, juices and hot beverages. The breakfast area was kept well stocked and tidy. The business center was in a great location near the front desk, and everything usually worked well, including the internet. When we needed help getting the printer to work, someone from the front desk came and assisted us. The only improvement that we could suggest is that when you walk in the front door there is a container of lemon water (nice, but it was empty) and hot coffee there as well (but dirty cups and coffee spills on the table made it look messy and unattractive as soon as we walked in the front door). That was not cleaned up until the next morning and stared us in the face every time we came and went. Also, we noticed a popcorn machine in the corner of the breakfast room, which is a nice feature that many hotels offer their guests in the evening. However, this particular hotel only used the popcorn machine one evening out of the three that we were there, and it ran out of popcorn relatively quickly and to our knowledge was never refilled. I would, however, still recommend this hotel, as the things that were most important like a clean, comfortable room and great breakfast were provided.

We stopped here after a long day driving. We were very pleased with the hotel. The entrance is attractive and our room was clean and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was complimentary with a nice selection of hot and cold items. An added bonus is a Boston Pizza next door.

The hotel is easily accessible, kept great, and always clean and comfortable. The breakfast was as all buffets well stocked and the staff were accommodating. The desk staff always were inquiring if there was anything that we needed and very friendly.

Great service. The rooms are nice and the included breakfast is pretty good as well. My only complaint would be the stability of the “high-speed” wifi. At first it was great but then we'd have very slow internet and have issues getting kicked from the network. Also you can't plug anything into the tv like a tablet etc. to watch movies. The TVs are locked the the cable. Also HD TVs and no HD channel

This hotel is perfectly located, close to all the amenities you'd ever want, and more. The staff is very friendly, making a point to say good morning and hello nearly every time they see you. And the breakfast guy is top notch! Very friendly and came over to make sure the breakfast was satisfactory. I even saw him taking an elderly couple through all the options that were being offered. Makes all the difference. Would recommend this hotel to anyone!

We came to this hotel after leaving The Hampton Inn. The pool shut down due to chemicals and my son got a horrible rash/burn. Came here, I had 2 ice cream cakes that the guy working took for me and put in freezer for me. The hotel was clean, quiet. The pool was really nice, warm and clean.The breakfast was above average for an included breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

We travel on business to the Saint John area and Best Western Plus is our first choice for accommodations in this location. The rooms are well kept, the staff is helpful and friendly, breakfast is included and it is a great location.

We stayed here for business for the 1st time a few nights ago. The parking lot does fill up fast at night! The location is so close to our business needs and is still in a quiet area behind a mass of retail and food options. The room was 2nd tier from the bottom, but was well appointed and large. They even called once we got to the room to ensure we were happy with it. Breakfast had a bit wider selection then the usual Holiday Inn Express and was a nice breakfast room. No issues, will likely stay here in the future.

I stayed here on 2 bitterly cold nights before and after a trip. This looks like the closest hotel to the airport -- only about 20 minutes away -- and not far from places to eat. The staff were very pleasant. The room was clean; bathroom well stocked and also very clean. Bed was comfortable, pillows way too big and round. (If you're going to put half a dozen pillows on each bed, at least choose a variety of shapes!) The thermostat read 62 degrees when I arrived and although I turned on the heat, a couple hours later it still did not seem up to comfortable temperature. With a 4:30 a.m. checkout I was not going to spend time calling downstairs and just slept the first part of the night in my thermal underwear till it warmed up a bit more. The heater is quite loud; bring earplugs if this bothers you. I would also recommend checking whether there are hockey teams in town before you book. It seems to be a popular hotel for them and on my first stay there was some noise, running feet, loud talking in the halls, etc., although it was younger kids and they quieted down after a while. Again, earplugs. The USB hub thingy by the bed was emitting a weird buzz and I unplugged it for the night. Their wifi is very slow, even in the lobby. I gave up and went to a restaurant instead of trying to read a menu online. On my second stay 3 weeks later, I called a couple hours ahead to ask if they would check the heat and explained about the 62F last time. The staff person said they'd had "issues with the heating" but it was all fixed now and she would go check my room and make sure the heat was on. When I arrived... it was 60 degrees. "Cadolf" at the desk was polite, apologetic, and came up with me to install a space heater. That helped and I appreciated his effort. It was very quiet this time. I can't comment about the breakfast because I checked out way too early and then too late for it. I am not sure why the same type of room cost $20 more than it was 3 weeks before. 3-1/2 stars; I think this would be a 4-star stay if they fixed the heating, and if you pick a night when there aren't dozens of little hockey players running around.

The location of the hotel is very convenient to commercial businesses n the area and the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very adequate and tasty and the items available to choose from were many and varied.

This was my second stay at the Best Western Plus in Saint John. The location is fairly convenient off the highway although not the most scenic of settings. The hotel is quite new so everything looked clean, bright and modern. The room was comfortable and quiet, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

The friendliness of the people behind the front desk is amazing. I was in town for a couple of days and wanted to know about what to do in town when I was there. I tried several of there restaurant and activity recommendations. All where very good. Also the breakfast was very nice. More then enough choice. I would give them more then 5 stars if that was possible. Definitely will return if I'm ever again in Saint John.

We were somewhat surprised to find this fine hotel in the industrial suburbs of the city. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is about thirty minutes from the city. We stayed there for three nights and enjoyed every minute. The rooms were clean, modern and our breakfast was quite good. The hotel is easily accessible to St. John. My Father was from St. John so I am no stranger to this Maritime gem. When visiting be certain to see the Reversible Falls. You must see it to believe it! Downtown also offers great restaurants, especially for seafood. A waterfront is a place I have always enjoyed. There is also a great museum for you to understand the history of this original loyalist city. also a mall for shopping for that something special. I strongly recommend a visit to the Fundy Trail, about 30 miles north. Beautiful sights of the Bay of Fundy and many sights of The beautiful balsam and pine forest that this Province is known for. I could go on and on, but I'll leave it up to you to decide. You won't be disappointed. Enjoy!

Pillows are too thick. They make for an uncomfortable nights sleep and a sore neck in the morning. The thermostat doesn't shut the heat off once the desired temperature has been reached. Also had noisy neighbours but I guess that's not the hotels fault.

We stayed here for a hockey tournament and enjoyed our stay. It is located next to many stores and restaurants which is convenient. Lots of parking available too. The room was clean and the bed comfy. I was impressed with the free breakfast and found it to be higher quality than that of other hotels (e.g. real eggs, nice fruit cups). We will definitely stay here again when in the city.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights - it was perfect. Excellent room (read quiet!), very comfy beds with nice linens, good toiletries supplied with ample amount of towels, clean. What really made the stay exceptional though was the staff. Just simply outstanding. Very pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful with any enquiries we had. Would, without hesitation, stay here again.

Close to the highway and lots of shopping and restaurants around. It's a newer building and well maintained. Being a short trip and from the west coast I didn't make it down for the free morning breakfast but it appeared as though there was a good spread. The room didn't have the fanciest decor, but it was newer, clean and comfortable. The beds were nice as well with lots of pillows. Staff were super friendly and happy to help.

Was a nice hotel with comp. breakfast, simple yet useful fitness center, and a nice quiet room to sleep. Others on a business trip with a few hours to spare a night would enjoy the fitness center and the pool to relax and get your sweat on.

We come to Saint John at least once a year, this time for Christmas shopping. And we always stay at the Best Western. Rooms are very clean and the breakfast is always hot. We will be back again for sure!!

I stay here a few times year on business for the past 4 years. Always clean, quiet, super friendly staff, well located ( close to shops and lots of restaurant choices) and close to airport. The internet speed is good and includes a pretty decent breakfast.

We stayed here for 6 nights during the World U17 Hockey Challenge. Hotel was fantastic in every regard. Friendly and helpful staff, very clean hotel, great breakfast setup and super comfortable rooms. Located near a great shopping and dining area and close to downtown. Would definitely stay here again.

Rather what you'd expect from the brand. Rooms are clean and the service friendly. Breakfast is well stocked and served. Good location close to the highway and big box stores. Wifi was reliable and the room had a refrigerator.

This is a very nice hotel with friendly staff, a nicely done breakfast and comfortable beds. The rooms are nicely furnished and you get a good night's sleep. McAlister Mall is close as well as several restaurants so the location couldn't be better. If you are getting off the Digby Ferry there are very clear direction signs for the hotel along the road. Large parking lot is available. We were upgraded to a suite because and the room was excellent - spacious and well appointed.

Really a beautiful place and great hotel location on the bay. Super parking across the road and plenty of dining options close by. One of the pubs had over twenty types of beer on tap, I chose one with blueberries in it. That's now my favourite! Thanks!! A superb hotel with excellent breakfast menu and great staff.

Excellent location, close to many outlets for fast food A&W, McDonalds, Subway, Dominoes and other shopping such as drug stores, Walmart,Winners, Sobeys, Tim Hortons, Boston Pizza, . Very clean and quiet.

Stayed in a suite which was very comfortable and roomy. TV in living room area and bedroom area. Door closed from bedroom to living room -perfect for travelling with my mother. I slept on pull-out couch which wasn't too bad. WiFi worked great -I had no problems streaming Netflix Staff were friendly and answered all my questions. Complimentary breakfast was better that what I normally get at other hotels offering free breakfast. I would go back again.

except they need a sign out on the main street to tell the road weary guest s/he needs to take a right and go behind "Boston Pizza" . We drove right past the turn and did not need the extra 30 mins..... Also, the "reading" lights are barely 50 watt. I realize people do not read much but some of us do.... I have sent both of these issues to BW. Now the place itself is fine, the staff helpful as usual and it was safe and warm and clean.

We stayed here en route to Newfoundland. We chose this hotel because of proximity to the airport and reviews. Rooms were clean, comfortably furnished, and roomy and service was very friendly. Nothing fancy, but had everything we needed. There's freshly popped popcorn set out for guests to help themselves and breakfast had a variety items and was ready by 6 am. Chain restaurants are nearby as are big stores like CostCo etc.

The check-in desk was efficient and had paid attention to our requests (mostly). The room was spacious and the bed reasonably comfortable. The breakfast was average hotel quick serve. However, the only fruit yogurt in the case had been opened and put back and several other yogurts had holes in their covers. Tried several bananas but all were brown and nasty on the inside (not necessarily their fault but still a negative). My only real gripe with the hotel is the cost $211 (CN) for one night. I would $110 would be a more appropriate rate for what you get based on other hotels in both Canada and the US.

The staff provided an excellent service, breakfast was excellent too. It was pleaseant surprise, and near to all attractions with a fair price. We will recommend this hotel to our friends, family and others.

This hotel is in a great spot with all amenities close by within walking distance if you prefer. I prefer Best Western over all hotels for the fact that you get a full breakfast and not a continental one. The food is good but remember you are not getting a luxurious meal. I highly recommend this location as it is place to overnight. Very clean and a very helpful staff.

Everything was great ! The hotel is like new and super clean! The super comfy, and really spacious room. The breakfast not bad at all! But mostly the fromt desk is another level the girl was so kind and ready to help! She went above and beyond to accommodate me! And not many hotels will do that! I will stay here anytime !

Great hotel with plus. Location is a plus. Shopping is a plus right out the front and back door. Pool is a plus. The Big plus are the BW Pillows. Did I mention THE BW Pillows....ONLY at BEST WESTERN..

This hotel was perfectly fine. The room was huge with decent amenities so our family of five had plenty of space. The bath/shower was a little cave-like. Breakfast was a typical Best Western breakfast, which is just fine with us. My biggest complaint was that the wifi was very, very slow. If you are planning to get some work done while you are here, you will likely just be frustrated.

I travel for work more than I am home. My favorite place to stay is this hotel as the staff and management are very friendly and strive for perfection. The inside and outside are very well maintained. I would recommend staying here to any person travelling to Saint John because aside from a great hotel all the amenities are within walking distance.

We arrived in Saint John without any hotel reservations and had an information station call and check if The Best Western Plus had any reservations available. They had one room left and held it for us until we got there! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. A clean and comfortable room and breakfast in the morning. What else could you ask for!

When I had occasion to visit Saint John recently I called the Hotel and made a reservation directly. From the staff member who made the reservation to his team-mate who checked us out and everyone in between, I was treated with genuine kindness and consideration. When we checked in we were treated to fresh cookies that someone on the team must have baked in the morning.The Hotel itself is a very nice operation in a good location (by which I mean central and quiet).Altogether, quite perfect.

I would definitely stay again. It was convenient for our trip to PEI. Friendly staff. Better than average breakfast. Plenty of local places to eat nearby to satisfy any taste and budget. Also adjacent to a shopping area to stock up on needed supplies.

We booked this hotel on the fly, and I should've done more research. It is in a wasteland of big box stores and weedy lots. The hotel itself is very nice, clean and completely adequate for a night's stay. The staff is very friendly, and I should've asked them about a place for dinner rather than read the advertisements in the book in the room. If you are looking for a clean quiet place to rest your head then this is the place for you. But if you are looking for a hotel where you can walk to interesting sights and places, try elsewhere. Breakfast is included, which is a plus, and it was very good. And again, the staff is very nice.

This hotel was very nice and comfortable. Had an indoor pool and hot breakfast. Overall very nice place would go back again. Located close to shopping and other places to viist. The staff was very helpful with directions to get around and places to eat.

We were very pleased to see the use of real environmentally safe dishes and cutlery at the excellent breakfast. No Styrofoam and non biodegradable products. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. I'd definitely stay here again.

We arrived here for an overnight stay on our way to P.E.I. We stayed here the year before when we were on our way the Cabot trail. That was a great experience also as we travel by motorcycle. But this year we arrived middle of the week and it was completely full up. The person at the counter started calling the other hotels to see if there were any vacancies. There were none. She then got on the internet and started calling the surrounding areas. Still nothing. She finally found us a room in Moncton. Took her the better part of an hour to find it. Needless to say, we will stay there again.

We have become big fans of Best Western Hotels and this hotel does not disappoint. We had wonderful amenities in the room and a terrific hot breakfast each morning. There was plenty of shopping and restuarants close to the hotel which proves convenient after sightseeing during the day. The staff is very attentive and was welcoming as well as helpful in answering any questions about the city that we had.

The rooms were excellent. The breakfast was very good and with a good selection. The staff was very accommodating. We were close to restaurants, gas stations and the highway. We were also near some beautiful places like St-Martins and Fundy National Park. Rates were reasonable when you consider the quality.

As with any hotel there are things you like and things you dislike. I generally leave the nit-picky dislikes to telling to the hotel chain or owner, and describe my overall stay here. For me the Best Western has one of the most comfortable beds of any hotel chain I stay at. They have an OK breakfast (more on the good OK than the bad OK). The staff are always friendly and the price is reasonable. The hotel chain is clean. One thing that does annoy me is there are a lot of hotel chains now that are allowing dogs on mass throughout the hotel. I do not like the thoughts of sleeping in a room after a flea ridden dog has been in the room..... BW is not the only one with this issue. You should all be re-writing your dog policy. And for the record.. I have a purebred Shelty that I adore, but when we go on vacation he stays with the dog sitter at our house.

This hotel has friendly welcoming staff, very good clean room, with good amenities, with excellent breakfast buffet served by an exceptional hotel employee who obviously had many years of customer service experience.

Location is just outside of downtown and close to a shopping center. The staff is great and bed is very comfortable. Walking distance from a few fast food locations, if that is what you are looking for a quick bite.

Good hot breakfast with eggs, sausage, ham, fruits, cereals, toast, etc. nice staff, very friendly. Taxes alone were $30 per nite which I thought high but not the motels fault. Will stay again. Matter of fact we have already booked another nite for next week,

My family and I travel full time and have been doing so for four years. The staff of this Best Western was amazing, especially the manager. We were greeted warmly by the manager and the staff. The rooms are extremely clean and newly renovated. The room we stayed in even came with a small kitchen with serving and cooking supplies. Our beds were very comfortable and because of these things, I have rated this hotel "excellent". I would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family.

I have had the pleasure of staying here a number of times. From the first day I walked in I was made feel at home. I was very surprised at how when I returned the staff remembered my name. The service is fantastic, rooms very clean and comfortable, breakfast is excellent. I have been in a lot of motels and I haven't seen one that is as serious about serving their customers as this one. To the staff "You can be very proud of your level of service " and THANK YOU for ALL that you do !

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was ok. The rooms were ok. Reading the previous ratings, we thought it would have been a little better than expected seeing all the 4/5 and 5/5's. So we were a little underwhelmed on arrival. It's a solid 3/5 rating.

We had a very nice stay at this hotel, but Hotwire says it is a 4-Star hotel. It is most definitely not. Again, it was quite comfortable, but I would rate it about 2.5 to 3 stars. One clue: 4-star hotels rarely provide free breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was adequate. Room was large.

I was on a job in saint john, NB last week and stay for 6 nights total in two reservations the lady at the front desk was very helpful, as I took my wife on this trip with our 3 lbs. Chihuahua. when I got there they told me that it was not policy of the hotel of accepting pets at the hotel but as I was already booked, they did provide me a room were I could stay with my pet. (Now My wife is in stage 4 breast cancer and need her pet for moral support I do have papers for the pet as support for my wife if they would of ask for it but didn't need to see them). The lady was very helpful to accommodate me and my wife, I didn't pick her name but she was petite and was wearing glasses. I had very nice breakfast every morning that is included in the price and I have to admit that the two guys that was working in the breakfast area were on top of things , very clean and they were not running out of anything, at kid that dropped its cereal bowl all over the floor those guys never said a word and had the area cleaned in no time. I would recommended this hotel for any business people or travelers, the rooms were clean and upgraded, I found the hotel quiet so it was nice for me to sleep

Chose this hotel at the last minute and glad we did - even though we were only there for 1 night. Front desk staff were very helpful. Bed was so comfortable. Very quiet location but a little difficult to find.

Fantastic location and great for shopping and all amenities which is so important for any hotel. The staff were so accommodating and friendly and so helpful. One of the cleanest hotels we've ever stayed in. Best Western Plus certainly lives up to their name. The room and bathroom were clean and well appointed. Any requests were courteously and quickly responded to. The Breakfast Room was very well run. The main thing which made my stay such a great experience was the warmth and caring of the staff. Alyssa made my arrival and settling in very smooth, and even thought to go to the kitchen to get a wine glass for me so that I didn't have to drink my wine out of a mug, or plastic glass. Rita was another gem, and Marguerita not only did a great job of cleaning the room, but always wrote a personal note in acknowledgement of any gratuity. Very beautiful hotel. Friendly staff and was able to accommodate and early check-in as we were there for the hospital surgery. Breakfast was great lots of different variety. Guest rooms were done up very nicely as well.

This hotel is conveniently located just across the street from stores and restaurants, including Swiss Chalet. Staff were friendly. The room was clean and reasonably updated. The bed was comfortable but we found that all of the pillows were too thick....not great if you prefer a low-to-medium thick pillow. The breakfast room was spacious and very well maintained with attentive, friendly staff. Breakfast had a good selection of both hot and cold items.

Stayed the night as a little family getaway. Overall the hotel was in a great location, it was clean and tidy. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The pool was nice, fitness facilities offered the basic necessities and were clean. Breakfast was good and offered a wide variety of items that appealed to everyone. Only downside was the heat/AC unit was a bit loud and noisey at night (didn't notice it until we were in bed and all other noises were silent) but other than that, we had a good stay and will stay again if we are down that way.

We found the Best Western Plus Saint john a good place for a mini vacation get away with our granddaughters (ages 4 and 3). The girls enjoyed their stay at the hotel and can't wait to go back. We found the hotel very clean, staff friendly and professional, the pool area was clean and plenty of pool towels were on hand. The complementary breakfast was delish. We found it was good value for our money.

On our first night on a road trip to Florida we decided to make St. John, NB, our first day's destination. With no advance planning we arrived in St. John and started to look for overnight accommodations. The BW P sign was very prominent so we pulled in to check on availability. The front desk gentleman was very friendly and welcoming and we were checked into our room in very quick order. We found it to be very clean and comfortable with an excellent king sized bed, The included breakfast was a real plus and a great way to start our 2nd day. We would highly recommend this hotel to any road traveller looking for a clean comfortable and affordable nights lodging.

This is a wonderful hotel at a good rate. We got stranded in Saint John with car trouble. We booked the room over the phone and were pleasantly surprised to get a king size room which included breakfast. The location is easily accessible and the staff were wonderful. It is clean, spacious, has a modest gym and a good basic breakfast. The staff are friendly and helpful. It was such a relief to find last minute accommodation at a great rate. The manager understood our dilemma and tried everything in her power to meet our needs. Thank you. We will return one day!

Had to come to town unexpectedly for a funeral and this hotel was a perfect place to stay. Room was huge and comfortable, breakfast was good, and price was reasonable. Location was good too, in between downtown and the airport.

The Breakfast was vey good. They had very nice pool facilities and gym facilities. We Had problems with deposit . My card was billed when they said it wouldn't be. Also the heating was very noisy and not working properly which awakened us every time it started.

This hotel is easy to find, has lots of parking, well maintained rooms and very helpful staff. Check in was breeze. The on-site breakfast is good with the usual eggs, breakfast meat, fruit and pastries. The eggs are nicely done and you really wouldn't know that were liquid eggs. Close to a large mall McAllister Place where there is a nice selection of stores.

We stayed at this Best Western one night as we were in the city of St.John visiting family. The rooms were very cheerful and the breakfast was fine. Staff was friendly and it was clean .It was near shopping if you are going there to shop.

I've stayed at this hotel 2 times for business. Both times the rooms were clean, new and inviting. The included breakfast was one of the better ones I've had at hotels. Only thing that was negative was I asked at the front desk for a wake up call at 4am due to an early flight out in the morning, but it never rang. I always set my phone for a backup and good thing for this. Upon checking out the clerk checked and it wasn't even set in the system. She was very helpful by brewing me a fresh cup of coffee even though the breakfast wasn't opening for awhile. Overall I would stay again.

I had a suite, and it was well-appointed and spacious. The breakfast was a complete one, but the eggs and toast were dry. Service at reception was excellent, as it was in the breakfast room, also. Check-out was easy: the bill was placed under my door during the night.

We stayed one night and caught the ferry to Digby the next morning-great directions from the front desk staff and cookies and water on check-in. Left too early for breakfast. Good parking for large vehicles. Microwave and frig in room.

My sister and I stayed here in separate rooms in order to catch the ferry to Digby NS the next morning. Each room had a comfortable king-sized bed, and her room was handicap accessible, which she loved. We both had a wonderful night's sleep because the rooms were so quiet. Both rooms were close to the lobby area, but we didn't hear any room noise from neighboring rooms or hallway noise. Breakfast the next morning was good with lots of variety. Good place to stay if catching the ferry. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Easy to find, and well placed in the shopping district. Excellent breakfast timing and layout and food. The bed was very comfortable. For the price though, it would have been nice to have better quality television, its only HQ rather than HD.

We were late checking in but our room was waiting for us- clean and neat and nice furnishings! Best Western Plus Saint John has wonderful and predictable accommodations! Shower was lovely, flat TV was large and nice- lots of channels, the AC worked amazing- not noisy and it cooled the room nice and cool. Breakfast was great. It was nice to have the mini fridge and microwave in the room- only used the fridge. Lovely linens and towels! Great value for money and collect points! We were there for a hospital admission the next morning and we stayed at this same hotel in early July when we last had a hospital appointment. Very easy to get to the hospital and this Best Western Plus Saint John is in a new shopping district- Costco, Sobey's Extra, lots of malls, many restaurants etc. Easy to walk to places too! I would stay here again- have a reservation booked for Saturday, September 16th!

As we were travelling across New Brunswick we called the hotel and the staff were great accommodating our needs. A beautiful King bed with a side room with a pull out for our child. The bed was so comfortable, and the breakfast was great to get us going on the road again. A beautiful hotel.

Comfortable room , pool, laundry and breakfast --- who could ask for anything more ? We had had such a good experience in the Truro location that we stayed at Best Western hotels for the three succeeding nights.

Nice hotel with friendly people. Not downtown but easy access to airport. Shopping malls located nearby and a wide range of restaurants close by. We enjoyed Vivaldi's with Italian, Lebanese and seafood.

We checked in very late and all was ready for our arrival. The front desk person was very friendly and amenable. The room was just perfect and the bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel is within walking distance of the major shopping for the city. Downtown certainly has great shops, but all of the big stores are right near the hotel. Downtown is a fair distance from the hotel but easy access if driving a car and parking downtown was not too bad considering the annual Buskers Festival was also happening.

We liked the hotel, especially after 600 miles drive. Big room, nice and friendly staff, good breakfast, and pleasant atmosphere. One thing that we felt lacking was enough light/bulbs in the room. The room was very spacious but did not have adequate illumination. Something that management can easily fix if they are serious about guests' requirements.

We only stayed one night at the Best Western in St John, but I have to say I was really very impressed. We were just using it as a stop off point before heading to Halifax so I am really too familiar with the area, but if I was planning on spending more time in St John, I would absolutely stay there. We pulled in exhausted after a 10 plus hour drive, Joe - I think - was at the desk, he was very nice and got us checked in quickly. He gave us some info on where to eat that late in the area. I have to say, I was very impressed with the room, we ended up in the suite, which was very nice, the bed was comfortable and the room was spotless. I love when a hotel has the nice lemon water in the lobby, the Best Western had it. They also had a very nice breakfast buffet set up. You could make a fresh waffle if you wanted, there were scrambled eggs, little egg muffins, assortment breakfast meats and various breads to toasts. I'm the kind of girl who gets excited over the little bottles of shampoo etc and let me say I was very impressed with the selection and quality in the room. There was even a nice facial towelette, which comes in very handy. I have zero complaints and wish we had more time to stay at this great hotel. (Plenty of parking too)

Our family of four was comfortable throughout our 2 night stay. The room and entire facility is very clean. Maria at the front desk was very friendly & accommodating and came through with our request for a first floor room. The also allowed us to bring our bicycles into the room with no problem. The breakfast was well stocked, hot & delicious. There is enough variety so it's not the exact same meats every day. Although they served beans to accompany eggs for breakfast. That's a first for me, maybe it's a Canadian thing!? The parking lot is large, though a few lights near the back of lot were not functioning. The hotel was full during our summer weekend. There wasn't anything particularly happening in town so be sure to reserve your room. It seemed like a decent amount of people use this hotel for business travel.

From the moment we walked in we knew it was going to be a great place. Complimentary coffee/lemon water are served in a very clean lobby. We were greeted immediately. The room was very fresh and overall quite impressive. The room/bathroom size was average. Everything was very clean and well stocked. The breakfast that was offered was very nice. The pool was great. Water was a lovely temperature and was very clean. Towels were restocked quickly when it was brought to their attention. I will definitely recommend this hotel. The price was a bit high, but certainly not unreasonable by any means. This hotel does offer a hospital rate when visiting friends/family at the hospital. Just be sure to ask at check-in and bring something to verify a hospital stay. I used a parking pass for the hospital and no questions were asked.

Stayed here for basketball tournament. Thought the price was a little high, but it was a big tournament and the team was here so didn't do any comparison shopping. Hotel is good. New(ish) and clean. Check in was very good. Staff was informed and helpful. Room was large and very comfortable. I would stay here again, but it really depends on why I'm in Saint John. If for pleasure, I would generally aim for downtown area where you can walk to pubs, Harbour Station, restaurants and waterfront. This hotel is out by shopping but not a long drive to downtown area.

We had a group of 4 motorcycles with spouses traveling from the US for our first trip to Canada, Nova Scotia, Cabot Trail, PEI, New Brunswick and on our return we stayed at this Best Western Hotel & Suites in Saint John. This is a great location, the hotel is very clean, rooms are very nice, breakfast was great, the staff is very nice and very accommodating and they seemed very appreciative to have us stay with them and they are very customer oriented. Great hotel, just don't accept the room off the lobby as it can get noisy in the lobby and you can hear any loud voices in the room. Otherwise we liked it. Breakfast staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. They kept the supply of food full with never having to be asked and were happy to help if there was an accident, Nothing bothered them.

The hotel was clean and bright, all of the Hotel staff were friendly and attentive. Beds were comfortable and breakfast was great with both hot and cold selections. Location was great as well with ample parking. Would stay here again if in the area without hesitation.

From the moment you check in you are made to feel welcome. We were allowed to check in early and that was great because we were travelling with a baby. We had a suite and the room was lovely. The bathroom was small but all working. THE carpet needs a good shampoo. Other than that the Breakfast staff works HARD every day to make sure you have breakfast which is included so please be kind and say tks.

The staff were just marvelous in handling our check in and exit. Additionally they were very helpful directing us to the best dining places. I found the beds to be incredibly comforting after a long drive.....and enough pillows to surround you with warmth and feel luxurious

Excellent new hotel. Near shops and businesses. Staff was great. Good hot breakfast but no napkins. Street was also under construction at the time. Was supposed to be about 12mins away from the Digby ferry but took 25 mins due to all the construction.

Rooms were clean. I did not hear any noise from the halls or other rooms. The hot breakfast included had good selection. The work out room was small but all the equipment was functional. Overall it was a good experience and I will definitely stay there again.

My stay in Saint John NB was awesome. Best western staff at this location was outstanding. From the front desk to the cleaning staff they go the extra mile to make sure you have a comfortable stay. Beds were extremely comfy ( I really didn't want to leave). Breakfast was fresh with many varieties to pick. My next stay in Saint John will be Best western for sure.

The staff at this location were great. Friendly, informative and always willing to assist. The buffet breakfast served to hotel guests each morning was delicious with many selections to satisfy everyone. Decor was clean as were the rooms. I stayed in BW Plus in Saint John last week. Newly built Best Western Plus. Everything was clean and new and the amenities were very comfortable and welcoming. Breakfast was very good and room was very nice and spacious. No problem of internet service. Once connected, no reconnecting issues. Nice location! Restaurants, Shoppers drug mart, Costco and gas station etc are almost 5-10 minutes' walking distance. Overall, I had a very comfortable and pleasant stay at your hotel. I will definitely revisit and recommend. All the best!

We stayed at this hotel in March with our family for Spring break. It was shortly after a suicide/murder had occurred and police cars were parked at front of the hotel and the place was deserted. We chose not to cancel our reservations as we thought the extra security would be a good thing! I found the front desk receptionist to be cold, stand offish and when I asked about a cot she advised it would be an additional $20 which I thought was outrageous considering they had no guests. The hallways are very dark as are the rooms and it seemed "dreary". The continental breakfast was limited with little variety. I would not recommend this for families travelling with children, we much prefer the Hampton Inn and Suites which seems more family oriented and friendly.

Hallways and rooms are dark, except the bathroom. Just not a cheery place. Location not walkable to anything, but there are chain restaurants and fast food joints nearby. Fine for a quick stopover, but thats about it.

We felt very comfortable with taking our mentally challenged son there. He loved the computers and is very good with that technology. The price was better than the hotel we had stayed at on previous visits.

We have stayed at this hotel several times. We call it "Our Saint John home." The experience is consistent. Well maintained property, nice rooms, friendly and helpful front desk staff. It is located in the middle of Saint John's primary shopping area. Lots of nearby restaurant choices.

My husband and I stayed here overnight for s little getaway. The room was very clean and big. We especially loved the jacuzzi tub. Upon check in we were greeted by the sweetest young lady. She was helpful and kind. We enjoyed a nice hot breakfast the next morning too. I highly recommend this hotel.

had a great stay,had surgery scheduled for next morning so had to get out quick in the morning no time for breakfast but they did offer some muffins and bananas on the go,was very pleased with the we care rate for hospital patients

The guest room was modern, clean and spacious. Only complaint was lack of lighting in bathroom and no fan. Staff was helpful and courteous. Breakfast selection was great. Location was great for shopping and dining.

Not a bad stay. Not much of a view of anything but great if your doing some shopping. Room was clean and facilities were great. One complaint would be the temperature of the hallway on our floor, it was freezing and our room was cold when we first arrived.

Stayed 2 nights. Frequent visitors to the Saint John area, but the first time we had stayed in this particular Best Western. Easy to find. Away from downtown, more in the shopping district, but set back some from the main road. Very clean property, inside and out. Happy to see a member of staff actually sweeping debris from the parking lot both mornings Greeted nicely, stayed in room 317, close to elevator/vending ice machines, but did not hear them from inside the room. Everything spotlessly clean (and I am extremely particular). There were three of us staying; myself and two teenage daughters. On our first morning, as we were leaving for breakfast, I met a member of housekeeping (I think her name is Jamie). I asked for extra toiletries for our party of 3 females. She arranged with another member of staff for that to happen. Very pleasant to deal with. Later on during our stay, I "met" her again. Not only did she remember my room number, she also had remembered my request. Excellent customer service. So often in large chain hotels, staff such as housekeeping are not always trained to be personable with guests. I really appreciated her interaction. My teenagers used the pool and were happy with that. I did find that the H/AC was a little difficult to control, either too hot or too cool and a little noisy, but we all managed to sleep well. Choice of pillows and comfortable mattress. Breakfast was "okay". There were no beans (it was not refilled) and the muffins were not the "best", but there were several other choices. No waffle machine/pancake machine as there are at other chains. I would like to suggest that the coffee makers in the rooms and in reception are updated to Keurig machines that provide a much better product than the mini brewers currently being used. We were not fortunate enough to see cookies at reception on this visit. Bottles of water would also be an excellent idea. (costco/Kirland water even....). Travellers (we had been travelling over 2 hours) would often want that, even just on the first arrival. All in all, a great stay. Will certainly be staying again on another trip to Saint John. One point for management.......WHY do you not use real crockery/cutlery? Kudos for the coffee mugs, but so much paper/plastic waste. Not economically sound and certainly not environmentally prudent. Time for a re-think on that.

When taking the Digby/ St John ferry, this hotel is a great stop. Very comfortable & clean with a super breakfast served early enough to get a jump on the day. There is a Costco close by so you can save enough shopping to pay for a night in St John.

At first, I found it far and a bit complicated to find. After a couple of times, it got easier. The service was good and I enjoyed my stay, except for the reason I was there, I will probably stay at the Best Western in the future

We were there with our grandson's hockey team. Location was great - walking to Tims and major shopping. Not downtown so very easy access in/out. We had your breakfast area for our team party (pizza and medals) and had a room where the kids could play mini-sticks. That was AWESOME!!! The kids had a fantastic time and so did the parents (and in our case grandparents). Staff very friendly and attentive to our every needs.

We stayed at this hotel for a few months while we were waiting for our house to be finished. We found that the hotel was very clean and accommodating. The location was conveniently around shopping malls, grocery stores and many restaurants. They offered a variety of choices for breakfast, such as fresh fruit salad, eggs, ham, bacon, sausages, hash browns, beans, freshly made omelettes, sweet breads, biscuits and gravy. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking to stay in the Saint John area.

Close to hospital great value, clean rooms, breakfast not so much wish hotels would stop advertising free breakfasts and messing up my business expenses .but the rooms and service could match the delta.

I travel and stay at a variety of hotels in Atlantic Canada, and have been doing so for over 20 years. The staff at all levels of this hotel are #1 in service ! you can tell that they genuinely are concerned about the wellness of your stay and it shows through out the establishment from the time you pull in to the hotel parking lot. The grounds are clean and the plants and trees are well attended too! You are greeted as soon as you walk in and you know you are in a great environment. Rooms are clean and it is very seldom you find anything is lacking or broken in your room. If anything does arise the staff on the front desk are quick to correct it. Its a Hotel I would recommend to anyone that is looking for a worrisome stay with a home style attitude!

Service was excellent! Every person who served me at the front desk was friendly, and willing to go the extra mile, eg. phoning for a taxi several times, helping connect with Wifi. A complimentary chilli was offered for supper the day there was a blizzard. Hot breakfast provided was excellent. The room was very clean.

The hotel is located close to Champlain Mall and offers plenty of choices for food within walking distance. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff is friendly. I would definitely stay here again if I was in Saint John.

Can't believe in all my years on business in Saint John, I've never stayed in this area. I love this part of the city, this is a newer Hotel and I love Best Westerns for value, convenience and comfort. Free breakfast is a huge bonus. Booked through Expedia, received an excellent rate as a result. Next door to several shopping plaza's, Winners, Dollarama are accross the street from this Hotel, East Side Mario's is literally just around the corner, 3-minute walk. Not to mention several restaurants are within 5-10 minutes wall and Sobeys & Superstore Grocery Stores are also nearby. Rooms have new comfortable beds, beautiful decor, fridge, coffee machine, can't recall a microwave although, might have been one (rarely would use one). Price is always right, booked a business room, huge desk, lots of surface space to work, loved it. I'll always book Best Western Plus when in Saint John in future.

Well, not as advertised. This hotel is showing its age. While the rooms were clean and the front desk staff were courteous, the hotel leaves much to be desired. The rooms were quite small for a new motel, the heat is off in every room before you arrive (including the gym, brrrrr), the room heat is blasted in by a very large fan by the window that billows out the curtain and is surprisingly loud and woke us up every time it kicked in, the pool was shut down (upset kids) and finally, the workout room equipment was old, malfunctioning, and poorly maintained. We have enjoyed Best Western's elsewhere, but I think this is one I would avoid in the future. Price was right though, I guess that is a plus.

I stayed at this hotel for a conference I had to attend nearby. The first night when I checked in, the TV remote was missing, and the heating was not working properly. They did rectify the problem the next day, but was shocked they did not do a quick inspection on the room before giving it to me or any other customer. The cleaning service were also very poor in stocking up on the shampoos and bathroom supplies. Other hotels I have stayed at they always stock new supplies whenever they clean the room. The checkout time was 12 pm, I asked the hotel if I could stay an hour longer they advised they would charge me an extra $25.00. I found this to be strange as lots of hotel allow late checkout. Overall I was not happy with their service and would not stay again.

We were headed back to Nova Scotia from Boston and it was getting late. I booked a room at the Best Western Plus in St. John and found a very comfortable, clean room at a reasonable price. The only thing we did NOT like was the pillows. They were very firm and large and it was not easy to get comfortable. But the room was great and the included breakfast was much better than the typical make-your-own-waffle offering. There were scrambled eggs, hash browns, oatmeal, fresh fruit salad, and a large selection of cold cereals, breads, and so on. I would be happy to stay there again.

We wanted to drive the Fundy Trail and see the St. Martins Sea Caves on our fall color trip to the northeast this October. We spent one night in this hotel in Saint John, and really enjoyed our brief time there. The hotel was easy to get to from NB Route 1 and near a shopping center with several restaurants. Check in was quick and easy and the receptionist quite helpful and pleasant. The room was spacious, good wheelchair access for anyone who may need that, the king bed quite comfortable, good light and plentiful electrical outlets. The bathroom had a large, walk-in, not roll-in shower, with a built-in bench seat and decent water pressure. Breakfast was included and it was on par with most hotel breakfasts - good selection of both hot and cold items.

We booked this hotel due to the location and ease of access. The check in went quick and the rooms were very clean and beds were excellent. They serve breakfast from 6AM to 10 AM they provide a coffee maker and fridge in the room. They have a beautiful pool and gem room. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This hotel is typical Best Western Plus. The location is right in the middle of a newer area of Saint John. You will need to drive to get to the ocean or uptown. Close by are restaurants and chain stores. The staff however are extremely helpful and friendly and actually helped us a few times to find things in the city. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The heater is a little loud but you can adjust by turning to low. Was here for business and used the business centre to print a copy of a document. There is also a pool and gym on site. Very nice little hotel :)

We made the mistake of not phoning ahead and were disappointed to learn that hotel accommodations were not to be had due to the St. John refinery shutdown for maintenance. However, the two staff at the front desk were so helpful in trying to help us secure other accommodations. They were pleasant, friendly and sympathetic to our (self-induced) plight. We appreciated their time and efforts on our behalf.

A GPS for Canada is something we will bring with us when we travel to the country again! St John is a LOT bigger than we thought! The lady at the desk stated that they are considering renting them as most people from the states had the problem as we had. WE considered adding the map to our GPS but the company wanted $79!

Nice BW Plus hotel. Room and hotel facilities were clean and in nice shape. Staff was very helpful with tourist advice. Comfortable accommodations all around. Complimentary breakfast was pretty average. Travelers should know this is located in a larger shopping mall and some distance from the Saint John waterfront and other tourist spots.

Hotel was very clean. Staff was friendly. They are doing renovations. Carpets could be replaced but clean. We had a king suite with sitting room, and separate bedroom with king bed. Bed was very comfortable and were pleased with the price. Breakfast included was ok and staff very nice. Room had a small fridge and two tv's. Would stay again no question.

Facility was clean. The staff members were friendly - speaking to you when meeting you in the hallway or elevator.. Convenient location with shopping and restaurants nearby. The breakfast was good with good selection.

I'm a reward member and stay at Best Westerns without a second thought. But this one is a long way from downtown (if you are planning to do a walk or visit a downtown venue), not as well appointed as many others, and the air conditioner had a noisy fan (again not the level of maintenance I expect from a BW). Perhaps the standards are lower in Canada or the competition for guests is less intense.

We stayed here on our way to the states and on our way back. The staff is very welcoming and the hotel is very clean. The breakfast was good, fresh fruit, cereal, eggs, sausages. My only disappointment was the beds. On our first night the bed was of the cheap springy kind. On our way back it was a better quality one with a pillow top but it was old and sagged in the middle. So my guess is that some rooms have newer beds than others. I would expect better beds than the ones we had for the price we were paying. I'm hoping they will be getting newer bed soon. This is why I can only give it 3 stars otherwise it would be a five.

This was a very good clean hotel with fairly large rooms and a nice bathroom. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast could have included a few more items like bagels which would have improved it. Some items were a bit cold. As I had spent several nights at different hotels and had a complimentary breakfast many times I know it could be better. The hotel is very close to the shopping mall and all the restaurants so an excellent location. I would stay at this hotel again if I ever visit St John in the future.

This location was perfect for our route we had planned and we were not disappointed. The room was clean and comfortable. Air conditioning was a bit loud but we were so tired it didn't bother us. The complimentary breakfast was okay and got us on our way for the day. There is an indoor pool and gym but we didn't use it. Overall, an excellent place away from home!

We booked a suite: room for us and sofa bed for our daughter. We paid $160. The hotel was quiet, check-in was practically instant, and everything was clean and in good shape. Unfortunately, the mattress was terrible - I woke up with back pain. The air conditioner was incredibly loud - it sounded like tanks rolling into our room every time it fired up. The strangest thing about this "suite" is only the bedroom has air conditioning / heat, which means you have to leave the bedroom door open or the sofa bed occupant would suffer in stuffy heat / freezing cold. This really reduces the effectiveness of the suite - you might as well save your money and get a room with two beds in it... The half pillows are just a bizarre thing - I've seen them at other Best Westerns and I can't imagine I am the first person to remark on how irritating they are. Ours were so puffy they were basically like sleeping with your head on a sphere.

I use this hotel about 20 nights a year and am seldom disappointed. The staff are friendly and efficient and the complimentary breakfast is one of the better ones I've experienced. The location is excellent for my purposes.

We were greeted very warmly by the young woman at the desk despite having to deal with a difficult couple just before us. Very helpful in directing us to some local cuisine after a long day. Our room was very orderly and our breakfast was creative and hot. Great service.

We stayed here for two nights on our trip to the Maritimes. The hotel appeared very upscale for a Best Western, not what one would expect and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything at the hotel met and exceeded our expectations! The front desk staff was excellent and helped make our trip a memorable one. Stacey was extremely helpful in recommending us places to visit around Saint John, Nova Scotia and PEI. We really appreciated that she stayed almost an hour AFTER her 10:00 pm shift to act as our travel advisor. We followed her travel advice and headed to the Sea Caves where we had the best seafood chowder. We went to see the Hopewell Rocks and stopped at Ingonish Beach along the Cabot Trail and Basin Head Beach in PEI, all worthwhile stops as recommended by Stacey. Thank you Stacey for your dedication, commitment, enthusiasm and genuine effort to help us with our travels. The staff at the front desk is usually what makes the difference between a good hotel and a great hotel. We would definitely look to Best Western for future travel plans.

Nice hotel located near every service, including restaurant and shopping center. The breakfast is good but too busy. So we don't have enough space to take our food. The personnel is great and help us to find good restaurent for lunch and diner.

Although well out of downtown, the property is near the airport and some major malls. The property is new, clean, attractive, and well-maintained by an accommodating staff. It offers a comfortable stay and good value for money.

We stayed in St. John for just one night and this hotel was a good stop for us. It was very conveniently located and close to lots of restaurants. We didn't arrive with much time to fully explore the area before we headed out for our next stop on our road trip, but we did go to St. Martin, which was relatively close. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was also good and we were happy there was a high chair available for our daughter (often not the case at hotel breakfasts!).

From the time we arrived until we checked out the hotel staff was very helpful. The bed in the room was like sleeping on a cloud, we heard no noise from adjoining rooms, and the breakfast in the morning was very good. Nothing bad to say about this Best Western Plus and we would definately stay there again.

A typical Best Western Plus. The rooms are clean and everything is in working order. The breakfast could have been better. The hot options were scrambled eggs and sausages, not very tasty. Another con is the location. It is a bit far (few minutes drive) from the main city's attractions (Market square, Reversing Rapids, etc.).

We stayed at this hotel for one night while on our way to Boston. Overall we had a great experience. The check-in was fast and the staff nice. The room was great. Breakfast was better than on other hotels.

We stayed here after taking the ferry from Digby to St. John. The front clerk was a little grumpy but we had arrived a little late. The next morning the breakfast was ok and the pool was fun. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to stay here again but it was fine.

The rooms (We stayed twice on our Vacation -coming and going.) were both very nice. The staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable Quiet, with excellent beds. The hotel was well located. The staff, both at the front desk, and in the breakfast room were most excellent. The lady in the breakfast room made great coffee.

Large room, comfortable. but a bit dated. We where on our way from Halifax to NY and choose this location for the site that it's located in. It's a big commercial site with a Walmart and a Mall near by. You can't expect too fancy hotel but it's fair and the stuff is friendly and helpful and there is a good complimentary breakfast before your next day driving.

Yes, this BW is in a commercial area, but it certainly offers the traveler a warm welcome and a clean room. Two restaurants are within walking distance; we tried Swiss Chalet and it was very good. The complimentary breakfast has something for everyone. I have discovered over the past five years of returning to BW that you can't go wrong.

Stacey at the front desk was just super. She took the time to write out detailed directions to the Digby ferry, which we really appreciated. What a lovely person to welcome guests. Room was clean. The bed was comfortable.

I booked a suite several months in advance because I knew my husband and I would appreciate out own space after a long day of driving. The room had a strong odour, similar to the smell carpets have when they've been steam cleaned. It was hard on the lungs. We took the kids swimming and the water was so cold that they only stayed in about 15mins and wanted out. (There is no hot tub). Returning to the room we tucked the kids into the King bed and we decided to watch some tv in the living room. When we decided to pull out the sofa bed and move the kids we discovered the sofa bed was not made up! The spare pillow in the closet didn't even have a sheet cover. My husband went to the front desk and several minutes later they brought the bedding to us. The pad on the sofa appeared urine stained (photos included) and the sheets they brought up had a tear in them. When you pay extra for a suite and have to make your own bed up late at night when you just want to sleep, it is frustrating.

very clean hotel & easy on/off to the highway. the staff was all friendly & helpful. the breakfast buffet has a nice variety. yesterday was Canada day ~ so everything around us was closed. but there is planet of shopping options close by.

This place is decent but nothing to rave about . Actually I could end the review there but TA always wants more . Everything was OK . Bed , shower , room , location , price service , breakfast ; all OK . WIFI was terrible . It kept cutting out when I was trying to watch a streaming show . Made me crazy .

Saint John, NB was a stop during our 2,000 roadtrip around New England and Eastern Canada. I can't say there was much appealing about the town itself but we were looking forward to our room at the Best Western Plus. It came with a Jacuzzi in the room! After driving for 10 hours, that sounded nice. Well, the water was gray, so we didn't use the Jacuzzi. =( The rooms were large enough and plenty clean. The breakfast was average for a hotel of it's class. We stayed at a few Best Western's during our 2 week road trip. I'm not sure what made this particular one a "Plus." It wasn't bad but certainly wasn't anything spectacular.

We stayed two nights - spacious clean airy rooms with very comfy beds and linens. Could open window which was great and rare in most hotels. Fridge and coffee maker were good to have. Need a car to stay here. Was a 10 to 15 min drive to downtown inference centre. Front desk staff helpful. Pool looked good - smallish but clean and pleasant looking. Is on edge of town near box stores but better rooms than delta and Hilton hotels downtown. Simple breakfast included. Restaurants avail in close walking or driving distance.

The hotel is nicely decorated, the breakfast area is convenient. Room was a good size. The location is fantastic - easy to get to coming into the city, and close to lots of shopping, restaurants, etc. The hotel staff were very friendly and efficient. Lots of parking available as well!

Staying here was one of the best highlights from the fresh linen and non commercial smelling sheets. What was surprising was the way the staff reassured us about not having any little buddy. They even had some coupons and advice for us on where the locals go out.

The location of the hotel was good for us, given the prices closer to the city centre. Just so happens a Rib Fest was just down the street at a fair grounds so we took in some local music. Good restaurant 3 Mile Rib and Steak House within waling distance even a Boston Pizza. Very quiet location and extremely comfortable beds. Overall would stay at this location again.

Location is good as it is right in a "Big Box" mall area as well as the largest indoor mall in Saint John. Great location for restaurants and easy access to highways to get into downtown or out of town.

Nice staff. Bed was a bit lumpy. Hotel a bit dated but it did the trick. Breakfast was good. Wifi speed was good. Room was right next to a busy road to a little loud. Overall I would stay again. I give it a 7/10

The hotel was nice, but what made it outstanding was Stacy. She had so many ideas on places to visit and things to do. Her personality made our stay at this hotel memorable. She changed or room to a quieter location, away from a room with noisy children without hesitation. Wish there was a Stacy at every hotel I stay at. Hotel is located in an area of strip malls and warehouses. Nothing attractive for me.

The rooms and facilities are fine and at the level one would expect from the brand. The desk and breakfast room staff, as well as those charged with cleaning and maintaining the room are friendly and efficient. There is nothing to deter anyone from staying here while on a visit to Saint John. Nearly there is very good access to food and other shopping, and plenty of dining choices within 5-10 minutes of the hotel. On the downside, a minor complaint is that the breakfast is only OK. It is good enough for what it is but somewhat limited.

My stay was as good as usual with other Best Westerns. Room was clean and spacey. Front desk was friendly and helpful. The only thing disappointed us was the little noisy air conditioner working on quiet night background, and the slow WIFI connection.

I travel frequently to Saint John and always stay here at the Best Western Hotel. It's conveniently located around restaurants and shopping areas. Accommodations, services, and staff are great. For me it's a home away from home.

Located on the outskirts of the city, this is an excellent value. Easy to find, modern, clean, very pleasant staff, very good free breakfast, indoor pool and a small gym, free wi-fi, and free parking.

Have stayed twice at this location. Easy access from hwy. Lots of options very near for extra time on your hands for shopping, dining, movies, etc. Rooms very comfortable, staff very helpful, great breakfast (hot and cold) options. You get what you pay for and I believe that the convenience, comfortability, and overall experience at this location worth my money. We will be back. :-)

Once a month I take a few days to getaway from my at home job. This hotel was totally relaxing, quiet and clean. Close to shopping, movies and great restaurants. We highly recommend this hotel for its affordability, convenience and friendliness!

great service from the breakfast staff, overall clean and curtious, great spot beside shoping and not far off highway. overall price was average, wouldn't say it was great nor would I say it was low. average price, great to see staff go the extra mile and care about there guests.

Room is okay, bed is soft, but way over priced for what you get. Regardless, what is frustrating is the internet connection. Remember when you got your first computer and you connected via dial-up and it took you 9 months to download one song? The Internet connection here is worse. It's like I am writing the computer code myself with an ink and quill and then having a turtle deliver it to a grilled cheese sandwich who then has to evolve the capability of entering the information, getting a reply and then handing back to the turtle to bring to me. Truly awful. If you are looking for a place off the grid where no one can reach via the Internet this is the place, like going back in time, I am expecting a tyrannosaurus to knock on my door any second.

Decent Hotel, nice and close to Boston Pizza, Easy to find, Comfy Beds. Half decent included breakfast. Prices are a little high, but if for business users just barely acceptable if your limit is 160.00 Easy trip to airport from here as well.

Was here for work for a few days. The location is well setup with lots of restaurants nearby. The gym was quite small..didn't get a chance to see the pool though. The breakfast was large and plentiful!

We always stay at Best Western. It has the pool, wifi and you can can a room with 2 separate living areas which we love because of the kids. They have their own space and tv. The staff there are very friendly and everything is clean and fresh. Only wish is that they had a hot tub.

The rooms were large with lots of space to move around, even with a cot set up. We all commented on how quiet it was and how comfortable the beds were - including the cot. Everything was extremely clean and the breakfast had lots of variety and everything from the juice, to breads, to the hot items were kept full and at the correct temperature. We were there to attend a family funeral held nearby, so we didn't have time to do any shopping, but from what we saw, this would be the perfect place to stay for a shopping weekend because it's pretty much right in the center of the major shopping district. The only "bump" we had was we were given the wrong wifi code at check in, but it just took a quick call to the front desk to remedy this.

This was a wonderful place to stay! Very comfortable beds, very clean rooms and great staff. I would recommend this hotel. The only negative comment I would have is ther was no fresh coffee available in the lobby during check in.

Best Western Plus in Saint John ,New Brunswick is a great place to stay.It is close to lots of shopping and restaurants but best of all the staff is very friendly.The morning breakfast is excellent and free.We will be staying again.

We stayed here for two nights and it was wonderful! It's close enough to Uptown and easy access of the highway. It was very clean and friendly, the rooms were large and comfortable and a great breakfast spread. We will definitely be back next time!

clean, friendly, central with rooms larger than normal and a breakfast filled with bacon, eggs juice all types of bread and plenty of smiles. Free wifi and close to shopping restaurants and if on business near industrial parks.

Four families stayed for a curling tournament. Service was good but strange. We had to pre pay our room with an additional reimbursable $100 incidental charge; very old school. We were in fourth floor and chlorine smell was really bad. Pool is small. No available plugs near night stand. Bathroom is small. Furnishings are dated. Floors are uneven; dresser drawers open by themselves. Breakfast is HORRIBLE...broke fork when cutting sausage, eggs are gross and pan fries are soggy and a mush. Worst breakfast ever!

our son was in the regional hospital having a cancer operation, we were totally exhausted. This hotel has a special rate for families that have people in the hospital . so we took advantage of this. a great clean room, great bed. nice and quiet. friendly staff. we will definitely stay again

stayed here for our hockey tounament weekend. Service was good,bed was comfortable,staff were friendly. Elevators very slow,internet slow in rooms. The maid could of spent more time dusting and vacuming around the baseboards and under the furniture. would stay here again.

I've been using BW chain for several years and with just a very few exceptions, all locations have been great from arrival to departure and a willingness to acomodate their guests. I've always been able to get a competitive rate and a room upgrade most times upon arrival.

Hotel was very clean, breakfast was okay (standard fair). For the price, you can't go wrong (there are other hotels that are basically the same but will charge you way more). Recommend this place for a stay

Stayed here half a dozen times without any bad experiences. Close to shopping and restaurants. I will stay here again.as usual breakfast is included in the morning. Plenty of free parking. Away from city trafic.

I rarely rate ANY hotel or experience with all 10's, however; this hotel was an exception to the rule. Very impressed and would return in a heartbeat! Helpful and friendly staff, along with wonderful accommodations made for a 'home away from home'.

The rooms were really nice size with loads of space. The kids enjoyed the pool. The staff was really friendly and the facilities were nice and clean. The only down fall was the breakfast. It was not good at all. The hotel is easily accessed and close to shopping and the high way.

A great hotel, with friendly, helpful staff, and super clean and comfy rooms! We had a room with a Jacuzzi, and king size bed, and loved both! Really comfortable and quiet. Would recommend to anyone wanting to have a great hotel or vacation experience.

We have dealt many time with this Best Western and love dealing with the Staff they are always friendly and will go out of their way to help you out. The hotel is an excellent place to stay , always clean and well kept.

Travel on Christmas day evening was made bright at the Saint John BW with the warm welcome we received by the front desk clerk. The lobby decor was festive, the room comfortable, and the breakfast options plentiful. The breakfast room has stainless steel flatware, glass mugs and plates instead of paper and plastic. We could see that the location is great if one is in the city to shop, dine, and see a movie.

From the moment you step in the door to the moment you check out the service is right there to make sure your stay is excellent and that you are comfortable. The rooms are very spacious and clean and offer little extras to make your stay more comfortable. The complimentary breakfast offers a variety fo everyone and is kept full and clean. This hotel is very central to shopping without taking your car. I have stayed here three times before this time and this is the only place I stay because it is clean, efficient and the staff are extremely nice and accomendating,. Excellent

I stayed here one night on business. It was a very clean hotel. I stayed in an accessible room on the mainfloor. For the $66US that we paid to stay, it was good value. I did not try the free breakfast.

The room was well appointed for my business stay, with a comfortable desk chair and large desk area. As this was a early winter trip I appreciated that the room was being kept at a pleasant temperature prior to my arrival. I always enjoy the Best Western hot breakfast and was not disappointed.

My co-worker and I stayed at this location multiple times in 2014, The hotel is conveniently located around lots of shopping facilities (some of them walking distance) The rooms were a good size, beds were comfortable and the rooms and bathrooms were very clean. The staff were friendly and quick at checking in and out. Continental breakfast and free WiFi were great. Pool was large and clean Will stay again!

The beds are always comfy and clean. The rooms are large enough to set a play pen up and still have room to move around. The staff is always friends and polite. The pool are is great the pool is warm and the pool area is always clean.

Best Western here delivers exactly what's expected. A good sized room, cozy bed, friendly staff, a good hot breakfast. Easy check in and check out. Great central location, near shops and restaurants. Can't go wrong here.

This hotel is well located nearby shopping facilities and restaurants and not too far from downtown. Very quiet. Ease of access, plenty of parking space. Clean. Good breakfast food selection and variety.

I cannot say enough about this hotel! Our accomodations were top notch! I was a bit alarmed by the amount of young boys staying at the hotel on the night we stayed but I need not have worried.... After some early shenanagins everyone settled in and we didn't hear a peep from them. The beds were SO COMFORTABLE! Everything was as clean as a whistle! The breakfast was ample, hot and fresh, the front desk personnel were friendly, efficient and accomodating, the location handy to all kinds of shopping and restaurants and close to uptown St John.

This is our second time at this hotel as a stopover on the way home. It is conveniently located minutes from St. John centre. Staff is extremely efficient and friendly. The rooms are comfortable and the beds offer the best night's sleep. Breakfast was a real bonus with lots of variety. This will be our choice for future trips. Thanks for the great hospitality and service.

The hotel is located near many shops and restaurants (there is a Boston Pizza restaurant just a 2 minute walk away). There's plenty of free parking available. The staff at check-in was friendly and helpful. We received a free upgrade to a one bedroom king suite with a huge living room - thanks again ! The suite was equipped with two flatscreen tvs, a huge work desk, a couch and a fridge. The suite was very quiet, despite being located adjacent to the elevator. Breakfast was OK (average complimentary hotel breakfast). The only negative issue was during the check-out process: the girl at the front desk had to go up to our room (during check-out) to briefly check our suite in order to get our deposit back. This process took a bout 3-4 minutes (we were waiting in front of the reception during that time). We never experienced anything like this before at any other hotel - pretty weird. But all in all, we had a great stay !

Stayed here for the first time last week. Service is outstanding and nice new renovated rooms. Only negative was the breakfast was a little disappointing but it is free. I will definitely be back soon.

The staff here are super firendly. The hotel is clean, the room are nice and the beds are comfortable. My company offers for me to stay at a so called more posh hotel, but this hotel makes you feel more at home.

Comfortable, spotless, friendly. We stay here often when in the city. One of the best sj hotels and we have stayed at most all. Very convenient area also. They also have a hospital rate which is very convenient for people in city for appointments and sickness.

This place is great. Daniel, the clerk at the front desk, is so friendly and helpful. All the staff we had contact with were extremely friendly. The room was clean and comfy. The hotel is very convenient to many restaurants and shopping. The price is a great bargain. Highly recommend!

We frequently stay at Best Western Plus Hotels. They are easy to book, excellent beds, rational prices - in short dependable. Easy - nothing fancy but usually just as expected. When we arrived at this hotel we were greeted by a very friendly and helpful young woman who appeared to be handling everything by herself. She was very cheerful, polite and helpful. The following day, she greeted us by name in the morning, asked about our previous nights dinner experience etc. As we left she again was really amazingly cheerful and friendly and completely real. My husband and I would have hired her instantly. People in Saint John are very genuine and genuinely nice but this young lady was just excellent.

Staying at this hotel for 2 weeks so far, I find the staff to be friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. They give ideas on restaurants and directions. The breakfast is good and has choices for everyone. The room service is great always clean and supplied with fresh towels etc. I would recommend you stay at this hotel. You are able to have use of the breakfast room and microwave 24/7. The Pool has a good supply of towels and the room and water is a perfect temperature.

The hotel is removed from the downtown area but that was not an issue for us. We arrived after spent several hours driving through some of the worst rain in the area in years. When we checked in we were pleasantly surprised to find that we had been upgraded to a mini-suite because of our BW status. The rooms were lovely - although not large, they were well appointed and comfortable. There was a frig and microwave available. The bedroom had its own TV and the bed was very comfortable. The room was at the end of the hall and was completely noise free. Breakfast was the usual offering in the breakfast room off the lobby. We were there when several youth teams were staying night - if you find yourself in that position, find out what time their breakfast call is and then go before or after they have cleared out. Competing with a hundred hungry teens for breakfast is not the way to start your day. The staff at the front desk is helpful and friendly and willing to assist you in any way they can.

Friendly, efficient desk staff. Nice hotel, room, decor, breakfast. Internet wifi a bit slow and cut out every 10 minutes, frustrating. 6 km to town, not too bad. Fair price. We would stay here again, recommend it.

For the price, the value was not there. Most expensive hotel on a 14 day road trip...well over major city rates we found while travelling. This is a mid-range hotel chain that we only use occasionally as they do tend to be overpriced in comparison to equal chains. Location is more commercial than tourist. Staff became somewhat patronizing when raising an issue and did not answer questions to clarify or correct.

We booked this room through CAA. When we arrived, we were met by an exceptional individual on the front desk who informed us that our room had been upgraded at no extra cost. The room was large and very comfortable with a fridge and microwave and a very clean, and well presented, bathroom. The hotel is located within walking distance of a shopping mall and several box store plazas. The walk was a welcome change from the hours of driving during the day. Upon our return, we were pleasantly greeted by the front desk staff and once settled in our room, received a call from one of the staff to check on how we found and were enjoying the room. I cannot say enough about this establishment and the staff and would recommend this hotel to any and all.

I've been a Best Western costumer for over a decade and find them to be consistently comfortable and affordable. I would definitely recommend the Best Western PLUS Saint John Hotel & Suites to anyone visiting Saint John, New Brunswickkkkk.

Room was clean and well appointed. We arrived early - they let us have the room early. Service was friendly & helpful. The complimentary breakfast was exceptional. It was only one night but if we return to St John we will definitely stay with them. Great job! Definitely recommend.
