« Pricey, Noisy, Not our Favorite »

OK, This is a beautiful facility and has some great people. But friendly and helpful people are pretty much expected any more and I would rather stay in a quiet but plain place than a noisy but beautifully decorated one. At this point I would point out that we stayed in the "Executive Wing" which is a separate three story building away from the main building. I suspect that staying in the main building would be much more pleasant but I can state unequivocally that staying in the Executive wing was not pleasant. We were on the second floor of the Executive Wing and there were no handicapped parking spaces for this floor. There was also no ice machine on this floor and the building has no elevator. The noise was horrendous. The doors are heavy and slam constantly. The rooms are equipped with the new "Blast Furnace" AC units which have no low fan setting to mask outside noise and provide pleasant ventilation. When they come on they fire up like a 747 engine and, having thoroughly disturbed you, shut off 30 seconds later... NOT A FAN of this type of unit! To make matters worse, there was a road right under our window and construction nearby. To add to this, the room was very dark. There were no overhead light fixtures, (a trend that we both thoroughly dislike!), and the wall and floor fixtures all had bulbs in them that were only marginally brighter than fireflies. Noisy and dark is not a good combination in a hotel room. The biggest plus to this location was the breakfast. The eating area was nice with good food and a lovely lady named Melinda overseeing it.

« Not As Impressed as Last Time »

I stayed one night at the Best Western Pocatello in Pocatello, Idaho recently. As usual I requested a top floor (2nd story) room even though there was no elevator. The desk hosts were friendly and helpful including those on duty in the evening and also those in the morning. The room was clean and had good lighting (at first) and included a microwave, TV, and mini-fridge. I found the room an online service for about $80. As my evening progressed I found several items in both the room and hotel that needed maintenance attention. My biggest concern was that one of the wall outlets appeared to have a loose wire in it because as I would sit on the bed the table lamp would turn on and off. The mattress was rubbing on the lamp cord. I tested both receptacles in the outlet and found the same result, i.e. flickering lights. I decided to unplug the lamps from the outlet. I also heard the sound of running water which I determined to be coming from the toilet tank which apparently needed to have its float adjusted. While taking a shower I noted that the shower pipe was loose in the wall and had no cover around it to prevent water from entering the wall. As I was locking the door for the evening I noticed the safety latch was nearly torn off the door. Walking up and down the stairs I noticed the handrails were wobbly and some of the balusters were bent. This property seems to be cheaply built and definitely needs some maintenance. I notified the desk employee of the room deficiencies upon checkout and she thanked me. I rate the Best Western Pocatello as 4 for cleanliness, 2 or 1 for safety, quiet as 5, and cost as 5. Overall, I rate this property as 3.

« Friendly staff and comfortable stay. »

Very nice reception staff, room was clean and neat. My only complaint is similar to other hotels, the bath room exhaust could wake up the dead. But we will return, probably sooner than later. Breakfast was quite good and the dinning room is 5 star class.

    « Terrible experience. »

We stopped early in the afternoon Pocatello because we wanted to eat at the Sandpiper Restaurant where we have been before. We quite often stay at Best Western hotels and because of the proximity to the restaurant and the fact that the exterior appeared to have been recently renovated we decided to stay there. We were put in a separate building on the second floor and although the room was clean the carpet was almost worn through. We found that the sound from the top floor was not muffled at all. We could hear every footstep from above even although we could tell the occupants were not stepping loudly. Similarly, the sound from the hallways was very loud with doors slamming. In fairness, there was no sound between rooms. I used the spa pool and found it to be very relaxing. Breakfast was adequate and the staff were as accommodating as they could be. Although we generally stay at Best Westerns, we will not be staying at this one in the future. It appeared that the whole budget had been spent on exterior appearances although hopefully the main building has been renovated better than the annex.

« Recently renovated and very nice »

The front desk girls were the best. They were extra nice and went above and beyond to make sure that you had everything that you needed and that your room was comfortable, which it was. Everything was clean, new and nice. Breakfast was great and they have a cappuccino machine which was surprisingly very good.

    « Another pleasant stay »

I make it a habit to stay at Best Western. For the reason that they are consistently a good place to stay and reasonably priced. This one in Pocatello is no different. It was clean and quite with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. I will put it on my list of places to stay while travelling to CA.

    3
    « Terrible Customer Service »

Took a group of people for a sports activity and assistant General Manager needs to get a refresher on customer service and hospitality. Will not go back. Rooms were as expected and the breakfast was adequate. Staff may be tired of dealing with groups who have some special requests?? School principal was treated with distrust and abrupt, rude attitude. Not nice!

    3
« much older inside than outside »

A herd of elephants were assigned the room above us. The building inside was much older than we expected. If you stay here avoid the business wing... there is little to no sound proofing between floors. Had to go outside to access the hot tub.

    4
    « Nice hotel but.... »

Hotel is nice, would stay there again. Rooms are clean. Staff are pleasant. Would NOT book through Best Western website, does not have the lowest price (some over 30%+ higher) and doesn't price match like it "guarantees".

    5
    « Best hotel »

What a great hotel. Very clean, calm, friendly staff, great atmosphere for such a nice price. I had veeeerryyy good sleep in this hotel! The one thing that I didn't like was the material of bed sheets. I prefer natural fabric.

  • 4
    « Noisy but nice »

I was upgraded to a queen suite because of my diamond club status. However the room was super noisy during the night. Everything else was super nice like Juanita at the desk. Breakfast included the usual but it was very clean and well-supplied. The pool is open 24 hours and was always busy. I would definately stay here again just not in room 110.

« BEST WESTERN POCATELLO INN »

We checked into this hotel in a driving rain storm. The instructions to find our room were not very good. The buildings are not marked so of coure I went to the wrong one. After searching the entire building back out in the rain to the other building and our room. The floor we were on did not have a ice or vending machine on it had to go up or down one flght for them.

« Great staff, super clean and spacious room »

We had a great check-in, clerk was extremely courteous. As we had been there before she was able to check us in quickly. Room was very clean. We were impressed. Location was good, easy to get too, and get back on the freeway

    5
    « Great value »

We really enjoyed our stay at the Best Western. This is a convenient location for those travelling south. The room was very comfortable and the TV was fantastic. The breakfast was also excellent. We would gladly stay there again.

    4
    « Friendly staff »

Very few rooms were left as cross country track was at every hotel-we didn't make a reservation as we were expecting to drive home that night-but we stayed-room was nice but VERY EXPENSIVE! Breakfast was good and every one was friendly.

    3
« Southbound One Night Stay »

Overall was good but rooms were tight for space. Staff lacked experience but were courteous. Don't arrive before 3. Breakfast was excellent, good variety and hot. Wifi was good and the fridge and microwave was a bonus. Location off I-15 was great, easy in and easy out. Very convenient to Applebee's, within walking distance.

    4
« Good bang for the buck. »

If you are looking for a clean place to sleep with good wi-fi and breakfast, I think this is your best option for the price. Beds are comfortable. The location is right, about 8 minutes from downtown. If you aren't ok with stairs be sure to tell staff as there are no elevators in some buildings. I had a hard time lugging large bags up and down stairs.

    3
    « Convienent location »

We picked this facility based on reviews and convenient location. The room was good except the vanity area being very cramped. We enjoyed the breakfast are and location near other dining options. Easy access to I-15 made our start the next morning very easy.

    3
    « Mixed bag »

Large king suite for $101 including tax. Easy on off freeway. Flat screen tv, microwave, and fridge. Comfortable bed, good towels. Good hot complimentary breakfast. The desk clerk, Mercedes, was very friendly. The bad stuff was mold smell in bathroom area. There was carpet covering the bottom of the vanity. Both the vanity and the carpet had mold. Room 105. Each time we went out there were one to three employees smoking at the entrances. I would think management would have a designated smoking area, away from their guests. If not for the mold and the employees smoking at entrances, they would have gotten 4-5 stars

    5
    « nice hotel »

Hotel nice and near the freeway, easy access. The breakfast was good. The staff really helpful regarding where to eat. They told us where Texas Roadhouse was and told us that we should show our key and get a 10% discount, good.

« Best Option in Pocatello »

Good location just off I-15 and near I-86 but a bit tricky to find as its tucked behind other hotels. The staff were the friendliest people I've ever encountered and the entire property is spotlessly clean. Our 2nd floor corner room was rather large but the way its designed made it hard to maneuver around while the bathroom had too much space that could've been used within the room. One window was flush against the roof of the pool which wasn't exactly scenic. Free wifi worked well except at one point it disconnected w/o alerting us and unknowingly our data was exhausted. TV and fridge were newish and a good size The pool is off the lobby and again is very clean. Breakfast room is larger than average with an impressive spread including bacon and scrambled eggs and waffle maker with toppings. Its well attended to and kept clean. Food options nearby are limited with mostly chain restaurants and fast food. Many offer discounts for BW guests. The only real restaurant, a steakhouse, is closed Sundays so we settled for Dominoes delivery. The hotel has its own bar with snacks which stayed open late and is a good amenity considering the lack of options elsewhere.

    5
    « Very nice facility »

The BW Pocatello Inn really deserves 5 stars because it is in immaculate condition, the staff is quite helpful and friendly, our room was spacious and comfortable, they serve a nice breakfast, and the problem I encountered was nicely solved by the receptionist. The potential problem was that we were given a room on the 3rd floor of a separate wing of the inn. We were told to park in a certain area where the entrance would be on the second floor, so we'd have to walk up only one floor. Why isn't there an elevator in that building? Like many who travel in the Fall, we are seniors and find it a problem to schlep our bags up and down stairways. The young lady behind the counter kindly changed our room to one on the second floor, but what if there had been none available? I make this comment as one who really enjoyed his stay at this inn but believe that adding an elevator to that 3-storey wing is something management ought to consider.

    5
« Nice place to stay »

We stopped in late at night, the person behind the counter was very nice and helpful. It was pretty quiet as well since it was pretty close to the interstate. We had no problems with anything in our stay here.

    5
    « Great overnight stay »

Location good. Room comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was wonderful. Staff were friendly and professional, especially Juanita, Julianna, & Tina. Coffee, tea, and ice water in lobby. Cookies in lobby, too! Will stay again when in the area. Thanks!

    5
    « A great place to stay. »

This is an excellent hotel in a great location. The staff are professional and attentive. The rooms are neat and clean. The pillows are too small for us,so we bring our own.The pool and spa are very nice when there are no noisy brats dive bombing into the pool! There are several good eating establishments within an easy walk(very good if you have had enough of driving) We have stayed here several times before and will continue to do so.

    3
    « CONVENIENT »

Decent property, usual business with tour buses and student sport teams in town for activities. Close to freeway with easy access. Restaurants within walking distance. Hot, good variety breakfast included.

    5
    « Beautiful place »

This property is lovely and the people are delightful! We had a pet friendly room that was perfect for us and our dog. The staff is very friendly and professional and the bar is delightful. We only spent one night but made friends along the way here.

    2
    « Room size »

We had two dogs, so only paying an extra $10 was the draw. However, the room was the smallest two queen bed room we have ever seen, let alone stayed in. Got the dogs settled and headed to Applebees for dinner. Upon returning, we walked the dogs, took showers and got ready for bed. Once in bed, we turned on the television. IT DID NOT WORK!!! No t.v. We did not call the office, as it was around 10:00 pm. Next morning went to the front desk to report and check out. Clerk was on the phone. I moved to the side. She acknowledged me. A lady walks up to the counter. Clerk hung up phone and waited on that person first. Bad customer service!!!

    5
    « Nice Best Western »

This hotel is in a convenient location close to the freeway, but there was no sound of noise. As usual, the full breakfast was really good in a large dining area with helpful staff. The room was comfortable and came with a microwave and refrigerator. It was close to many restaurants.

    4
    « Nice facility. »

Nice facility, friendly staff and clean room. Breakfast was good with plenty of room for the guests. Easy access to restaurants abd highway. Only downside is the walls are paper thin and we had to listen to the woman next door argue on the phone for over an hour.

  • 4
« Clean, comfortable, Decent Breakfast »

We would stay here again. Clean rooms, comfortable beds and well licated. Restaurants nearby. Breakfast room is very comfortable and good breakfast available. We were able to walk from our room to restaurants if we wanted, and gas stations were close by. Great place to stop on a road trip. Floors in our room were not carpeted as the hotel is pet friendly. If you have animal allergies you might want to ask for non- pet friendly room.

    4
    « Nice hotel »

When we travel we stay at BW only. Always very good rooms, friendly staffs, fair prices. This hotel we have stayed at twice now and is always very nice. Clean, comfortable rooms at a fair price. Very friendly staff and very helpful. Great location for walking out to eat near-by.

    5
    « Would stay again! »

The room had a double bed for three adults, nice spacious room. All the comforts you would want at a good price. The food was your average edible buffet. The staff was amazingly efficient and nice. Would definitely stay here again and also recommend this to anyone.

    5
    « Clean and friendly »

Convenient parking, clean rooms, great steakhouse nearby. Standard "continental breakfast". Get your coffee from the carafes in the hall, not the machine in the dining area. Indoor pool looked lovely, spacious.

    4
« Nice comfortable and clean hotel »

Hotel is located close to the freeway and restaurants. Beds were comfortable and clean. They did recommend the Chang's Garden restaurant where we went and found the food to be terrible chinese food - General Tsos and Happy Family.

    5
    « Great deal - reasonable price »

I checked other hotels in the area, and the amenities for this hotel was awesome. Indoor pool and hot tub available at any hour. The breakfast was good with a variety of options for any appetite or lifestyle. The room was comfortable and the nights sleep was restful.

    3
    « Average »

Nothing wrong, just nothing special. Clean good sized rooms, pet friendly, convenient location. Beds a bit hard for my taste. Large and spread out facility, our room is pretty far from the breakfast area. Not sure if I'll bother in the morning.

    5
    « Pocatello hotel »

Had an excellent stay at this Best Western and while rates vary by the season, we had an apparently redecorated room including breakfast at a very low rate (under $100). The grounds were very well kept. I also noted the kitchen/dining area where breakfast was served was more spacious than the usual hotels/motels that offer an included breakfast.

    3
    « Want quiet and a comfortable bed?. . . Not here. »

I only gave it a 3 out of 5 because the room was very noisy and the bed felt like just a box springs and nothing else. Also it was very, very noisy as in we could hear everything going on outside in the parking area and people in the hallway and in the room next door like they were in our room with us. The lady next door to us has medical conditions and now we know what they are too. TMI! if you know what I mean. Other than that the property is in a great location and the staff were very friendly. The room was a bit small I thought but it was clean.

    4
« Pretty, though dark and cramped »

Our room had attractive modern decor, and all amenities: coffee maker, fridge, microwave, iron, hair dryer (attached to wall), heat and AC. The shower in the small bathroom was hot and strong enough, though no settings on shower head. The sink is conveniently outside the bathroom. However, it was hard for 2 to maneuver around the furniture in the small space. And they don't seem to believe in bright lighting; bring a 100 watt bulb if you want to read. There was no dining table, only a desk, and one comfortable chair next to one bed. I had nowhere to put my watch at night or my tea in the morning. A small table, please! Maybe you can request a room with more space; ours had 2 queen beds. As for sleep, the bed was firm but bouncy, and the fridge made a bit of a racket when it came on at night. Breakfast had all the standard items, including hot scrambled eggs w ham, and potatoes. Staff was uniformly friendly, so I gave the hotel that 4th star. For all my quibbles, it's a fine place to spend a night on the road.

  • 5
    « Very nice stay »

The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Had a nice nights sleep after a long day on the road. Would definitely stay again. The dining area where breakfast was served was great. Grounds are very well kept.

    5
    « Great Hotel »

Great Hotel. We have stayed here in the past and every time the staff have been very friendly and helpful. Applebee's is within walking distance from the hotel, which came in handy after a long drive from California. Staff that helped us check out gave great directions to Idaho Falls as well.

    4
    « Great room »

We got a fantastic room at the motel. It came with two queens and a pull out sleeper. The room was spacious. Check in was easy and there is a lot of parking. The air conditioning worked just fine. It was an excellent stay.

    3
« Good deal during a very popular stay »

When we stayed the hotel was fully booked besides the presidential and honeymoon suites. I know because I heard the check in attendant inform a woman without a reservation as such before I checked in. Despite being so busy and crowded, we got the room for $80/night and had consistently professional service. I really liked the brick wall in our room and the beds were a godsend after our 12 hour day of driving around Yellowstone. We enjoyed a well-stoked and presented breakfast as well as a dip in the jacuzzi and pool. We had some minor issues. The microwave and AC were unplugged for some reason but worked perfectly after being plugged in. There was also a used washcloth left hanging in our bathroom. Worst problem of all was that our car had some weird water spots on it in the morning. I think the business behind the hotel must have sprayed over the wall or something. The spots did not come off easily with water and required some scrubbing with the squeegee at the gas station. For what we paid I was more than satisfied with the hotel amenities and stay overall. These few things (especially the water spots) kept the stay from being a perfect experience.

    5
    « Nicely updated »

This hotel has all the features I have come to expect and enjoy at a BW, nicely appointed rooms with a fridge, a clean hot tub, cookies and coffee at check in and tasty breakfast options. We got a last minute price, so the experience was especially positive.

    4
    « Very good property »

The room was spacious, relatively new, and clean. It was most convenient having a microwave and refrigerator in the room. The included breakfast was very good. The only negative item was at check-out when the front desk clerk wasn't willing to supply a statement showing that there were no incidental charges made to our credit card prior to check-out.

    5
    « Square Dance Meeting »

Very good location and excellent service. Only comment is that the baggage cart was limited in some of the annex buildings. Had to carry bags from location close to room. Overall experience was very good and we enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and quaint location. Very handy to Applebee's and other dining facilities.

    4
    « GREAT property »

This is a very attractive property with a friendly and attentive staff. I would not hesitate to recommend it. We were there for a family wedding, so had no choice where to stay, but extended an additional night to see more of the area.

    3
    « Good stopover hotel »

We recently spent one night here having driven up from Vegas on our way to Yellowstone. The room was comfortable but dated, with very little natural light, and it was also very dusty in places. The walls are very thin so you get a lot of noise from the adjoining rooms and from the corridor. The breakfast area was clean and bright and the staff were very friendly. Overall a good hotel for a one night stopover.

    5
    « FAMILY TRIP »

Was on a 2 week vacation out wet staying at Best Westerns along the way and this was by far the friendliest one. Nice staff and very nice rooms very helpful with things to do in the small town. would highly recommend

    « Very Good Service »

Once we got to the hotel we thought it was very clean and the beds were very comfortable so we decided to stay and extra night. When I called down to the desk adding the extra night was very easy and it only took a minute or two to get it taken care of. I do think that you should get some kind of a discount when you book additional nights in the same hotel.

    5
    « Very Nice Stay »

My husband and our two grandsons spent one night at the Best Western Pocatello Inn. We asked for a room with two queen beds, but the only thing available was a suite. Although we paid more than we would have otherwise paid, the suite was a wonderful choice! We enjoyed it so very much! The boys were thrilled with the cookies at the registration desk, and we enjoyed the hot tub and swimming pool. The breakfast waffles were also a hit! Thanks to all who made this such a nice stay for us.

    5
    « Vacation to Pocatllo »

We were on vacation to see family. The hotel was friendly, clean, had a good pool and hot tub, and an excellent breakfast. The location is right off the interstate. There are good restaurants nearby like Applebees, Texas Roadhouse, and some very good local eateries. Two major hot spring pool complexes are only 30 mins away, Lava Hot Springs and Downetta. They are both fun places to spend the day. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel very much.

    5
    « Nice hotel »

Very easy to get to. Friendly staff and a complimentary breakfast in the morning. They even have deals with local restaurants to save money by showing your room key. Comfortable bed, and the room also had a fridge and a microwave.

    « Don't go ! »

I had made reservations over 1 month in advance ! Reservations were for 4 rooms and 8 adults one of which is disabled and 3 kids ! The day before I get a call to tell me our disabled room won't be available? Yep amazing ! They overbooked and gave it to someone else ! Even though I had the longest standing reservation ! So I informed them that this was for a retired navy veteran who was disabled ! They said there was nothing they could do ! Then I told them I'd show up with the newspaper ! They called me back and said that they had us worked out and we could have the room ! We get there after a 3 day drive and are again at the desk told they don't have a room ? These people are a piece of work !!! Then they say ok we have one ? So we go to look at it and it's on the second floor but they don't have any elevators ???? Are you kidding me ? He's bound to a power wheel chair with pls ? Then they bring us to a room that his chair couldn't even fit between the beds and the dressers !! Make a long story short after jerking us around they " found " a suite on the first floor but it wasn't handicapped but at least he could maneuver his chair ! To the hotel ! Lighting in each room was horrible AC was non existent ! It worked terribly The rooms were in disarray ,broke down and dirty The staff was non chalant The cafe / bar ?? Has an odor coming from it I called for a pizza and no one answered so I walked (no elevator ) down to it ! And there she stood 2 people on the bar and her ignoring the phone ! The place is filled with a horrible odor ! The water also has a sulfur odor Oh yeah ! And we had booked it for 7 days !!!! $2600 - we could have rented a log cabin for half ! Do your selves a favor don't go !

« Fabulous!! Upgraded to suite! »

I rarely rate with 10's but this stay was an exception. My room was upgraded to a suite -- all new and much more than I expected -- absolutely fabulous!! The suite was very luxurious and the bed was extremely comfortable. The only downside was the noisy and extremely INCONSIDERATE people in the room above me that insisted on stomping and slamming doors until 2:30 AM. Worse than a herd of rhinos. Although I rarely complain, I did have to call the front desk twice -- at 11 PM and again at 1 AM. I had to get up at 6 AM so it made for a short night's sleep. The breakfast buffet was more elaborate than most, fresh and not dried out, well stocked, and very tasty. Exceptional value for the price paid. I'll stay here again on my return trip!!

    4
« Good Place to stay on long drive »

The staff at this hotel was excellent and the beds were very comfortable. Will stay again if driving through Idaho. This Best Western if very close to the 15 on and offramps but far away enough so there is no highway noise. We will definitely chose this location again.

My mother and I recently returned from a week-long stay where we shadowed my daughter's choir tour at Idaho State University. I cannot say enough good things about the Best Western in Pocatello. The room was cleanot and spacious, the staff was super friendly and helpful, and it seems like we were within 10 minutes of everything we needed to do for the whole week. I highly recommend this hotel! We would definitely go back.

Per usual, overall totally up to Best Western standards. The one negative was the bed. It was very hard and totally uncomfortable. All other aspects were perfect, right down to the coffee! We stay at the Pocatello Inn annually and this is the only room we have used that had a very poor mattress.

« Great for overnight stay »

We stayed overnight in a 2-queen bed, plus sofa bed room. Our room was very spacious and clean but I did not like there only being 1 tv and it was really dark. We had the shades open and lamps on but it didn't help much. Most family rooms at other hotels we stay at have a kids tv and a parents one. There are no elevators but the stairs have several outside doors so you are always close. There is a pool but it is small and crowds quickly and is a bit cold for little kids but the hot tub is just the right temp for kids to play in. Overall I would recommend this hotel for an overnight or weekend stay but not for a longer trip.

Chaz was the person that really made our stay extraordinary. He gave outstanding costumer service. Helped us get in our room early. We rode our motorcycles there and after 8 hours on a bike your ready to get off of it and not have to get back on until the next day. we came back and stayed a night on our way home because of him. Chaz is a totally amazing employee. Everyone else was very accommodating and friendly.

    « Best stay ever! »

Our stay here was amazing! The entire staff was friendly, helpful, and willing to go above and beyond if needed. Fortunately, we didn't need any problems solved - there were none. No complaints! Our room was clean, spacious, comfortable, and perfect. Even the pullout sofa bed was extremely comfortable. The free breakfast had a huge variety of items that were delicious. We ate three mornings in a row and each morning we were offered different hot items. The indoor pool looked inviting, but we never had the time to enjoy it. Maybe next time. If I ever need overnight accommodations in Pocatello in the future, this will be my pick!

« Great rooms, shampoo dispensers in shower »

We made a same day reservation. Would've been $140 through bestwestern.com, but called 800 number and got military rate of $83 at this time. The lobby is very welcoming, the rooms felt open. Plenty of parking, even for bigger vehicles. The shower had 3 dispensers with shampoo, body wash, conditioner in the shower which was a first for me. The pool is indoor and though small, is still enjoyable. It does go as deep as 8 feet, which most hotel pools are 5 feet, maybe 6 feet deep. To cap it all off, the breakfast room was the most open feeling breakfast room I have seen. They have hot items, fruit, pastries, waffles, apple juice, and orange juice. The hot items on my visit were scrambled eggs, bacon, and breakfast burritos. The burritos were great by themselve without flavor.

The refrigerator made a humming sound .the air conditioner made a clanking sound. The towel felt like an emery board. Luckily for us we didn't need to use the frig or the AC so we didn't ask to chand the room. I assume they would have changed it but we were too tired to ask We had previous requested a quiet room

« Convienient and not noisy »

It was interesting that several people had commented that this hotel was noisy to because it is near the freeway. We couldn't hear the freeway noise at all. The hotel is larger than originally thought and there are separate wings to the hotel. The wing that we were in didn't have an elevator which was a little inconvienient for my mother (she's in her 70s) and we had to help her haul her two rollaway luggage up the stairs. The room was spacious and clean and parking was convenient to the distance from the room. They're was a fridge, coffee maker in the room and you get wifi access at a reasonable speed. The breakfast in the morning was very good as well. They had a waffle maker with two different options: one that made larger whole waffles and one that made four mini waffles for those with smaller appetites. There were also scrambled eggs, toast, muffins, juice variety and cereal and some fruit options. I would say that if you're traveling with a lot of luggage and kids and or elderly to request a room that is elevator accessible. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and this would be a nice hotel for families to stay.

« Very helpful front desk »

I had booked a week, the Best Western Pocatello Inn, is in a group of other fine hotels, but I would tell you that the staff there are wonderful. I could not stay my fully booked stay, due to an emergency at home. The staff, was wonderful at understanding, The room was fine, I do wish the mattress was a pillow top, but that's just me. It was very clean and quiet. The pool area was big and open 24 hours. I would stay there again.

    « Nice stay »

The Best Western in Pocatello Idaho is a nice hotel, and we enjoyed our stay. The room was well-appointed, clean, and comfortable. We had a room that faced the back of the property, and it was quiet. The rear parking lot was a little small and narrow, but the front and sides were more than adequate. The hotel is within walking distance of Applebee's restaurant. We were pleased with the accommodations and would recommend this hotel.

Idaho is a great place to visit. My second time up there. The Best Western Inn in Pocatello, locate just off I-15, is also a great place to stay. This hotel has a many features that make a place you will want to stay each time you get in this part of the country. The room I had met all my needs. There's a really nice in door pool and an exercise room that is well equipped. Their breakfast I would rate up with the best I of all the places I've stayed. I would like to know how they make their scrambled eggs, just wonderful. There is a Lounge within the facility, which I sure makes it handy in the winter month, with a great staff that knows what it takes to please the thirst. In the area around this Best Western are several restaurants with in walking distance. In and around the city are many locale and National Parks to visit. Hikers take note - enough trials to keep you moving for several weeks.

Friendly and helpful front desk. Nice rooms with laminate flooring - perfect for a pet room. Only $10 pet fee for both dogs. Nice beds, quiet area, several restaurants from which to choose (we went to the Sandpiper across the street = great food &service. HIE always has a decent hot breakfast. CLEAN, great hotel.

« Ok but probably wont stay again »

Although it is clean, it is very small the bathroom sink is outside the bathroom and the space is less then three feet wide so getting close to the mirror is a little tricky... Also they don't have an elevator, so getting your luggage to the top floor is not a lot of fun. Just not what I expected and not sure where the pictures on line of the rooms are from because mine wasn't like those.

    « I give this property a 12 out of 10 »

From check in, to first impression of the room, to a great breakfast, I think this hotel aced it. I was struggling a bit with luggage after check in and immediately one of the ladies ran to assist me. We walked into our room and both went WOW...it was so well furnished and so comfortable that we were both disappointed that we were only staying one night. Especially enjoyed both the desk chair and the really comfortable sitting chair. Location is within a short walk of Applebees so no hassle for dinner if you are tired from travelling. Hot fresh coffee and fresh baked cookies were a welcome touch. I do believe that this is one of the best breakfasts I have had at a hotel and we do travel a lot. Fresh scrambled eggs and bacon, really good breakfast burritos, along with waffles, bread and pastries, and of course fresh fruit, coffee and juices...again WOW...This is just a really good place to stay!

Excellent overall stay. The hotel is very close to the interstate and gas station. There are several restaurants within a short walking distance which is very nice when you are tired of driving. We stop here each year as we make our way up to Montana. The only slightly annoying situation was there were too many screaming children jumping into the pool and splashing everyone. We will definitely be back again on our next trip.

    « Great experience! »

Very satisfied and the room was clean and comfortable. Overall had a great experience and enjoyed our time as well. Staff was very nice and kind. Beds were clean as well as the size of the room. We will try Best Western Hotels & Resorts at our next trip.

« Best mid-way stop to YNP from SLC »

Best Western was quite good for our stay. They had pool for relaxing, fitness facility as well as comfortable room (double queen bed as we booked) for a night. I would definitely recommend this place for a good price. Only thing I wish they had an elevator for reaching 2nd floor (don't remember seeing one). We are fine as we are 3 dudes with easy to carry luggage. If it had been a family with stuff to carry, I imagine that might be a little concern.

    « Regional Wrestling Tournament »

Stayed for a few nights while we were in town for my son's regional wrestling tournament. I was very impressed with the newly updated hotel. From the foyer to checkin, the rooms and especially the breakfast area. The designer did a really good job and it makes you feel like you are at the Ritz! The rooms were nice and clean and they gave plenty of towels. I like when room are accessed from the inside instead of the outside, so that was nice too. Having a fridge in the room helped immensely and it stayed really cold. The breakfast was good and plenty of options were provided. My kids also loved swimming in the pool and I enjoyed the hot tub. The only two things I didn't like (or just were a little annoying) were when we checked in, very late at night, we requested a crib and it didn't come. After waiting a half an hour I had to call the front desk and one was brought within 15 minutes. Just annoying because we were more than ready for bed! And the only other thing that bothered me was the duvet cover on the down comforter. That thing wouldn't stay in place and kept sliding off the comforter, so we just took the thing off and were fine after that. Overall I was very impressed with this hotel, especially for the price! Will stay again if we find ourselves in Pocatello!

    « Good amenities »

Hotel has inside rooms. Located just odd I-15 in a hotel row. Good restaurants within walking distance. It has a lounge. Appetizer type items including pizza and fish and chips are available. The room with two queens was cramped. The grounds were nice. The hot breakfast was good with a wide variety.

    2
    « Small , stinky rooms »

Would not stay here again! Room was tiny, smelled like cigarette smoke. Creamer and sugar all over the desk chair. Air conditioning didn't work well. Also there was a used soap in the bath tub. Complained and got 1000 bonus points

    « Montana Vacation »

Older motel, but clean and comfortable. We have trusted the reliability of the Best Western name. The room was large. The bed was a bit soft for our preference. There was nothing overly spectacular nor overly negative about the room. We had been on the road for most of the day, and did not use the TV or Wifi. The breakfast was average. It was the most expensive of the hotels on our trip.

We were passing through and only stayed one night at this hotel however it was a great stay and we would definitely stay here again. It's an older property, however has been renovated. We were pleasantly surprised to find a lounge at the hotel and really enjoyed socializing with the other patrons and the delightful lady behind the bar. Close to restaurants and gas stations.

    « Last minute decision »

Bed and tv were great. Bathroom set up was terrible. Sink is in a small area as wide as my shoulders. Then the towel rack takes up some of that space. Staff was good, breakfast ok. Eggs and sausage cooked correctly.

« Could be great, but actually pretty horrible »

I'll say this first: the hotel has a great pool. It's indoor and it is clean and has a very up-to-date whirlpool. That's where my positive review ends. The rooms vary in size from very small to reasonably large for the number of beds, but there is no reliable way to tell when you check in what size of room you're going to get. The last time I was there, they put me on a hallway that was under construction and smelled like formaldehyde/dead fish and it triggered a migraine. When I complained later at check-out they told me that that was the only room available with two queen beds. What they should have done is advised me at check-in that the hallway was under construction, and did I mind staying on a floor under construction. In other words, the staff, while pleasant, is not really aware of the drawbacks of their own property. The bar is mediocre, the wifi is unstable and slow. No room service, but there's an Applebee's in walkable distance. The property is HUGE (three whole buildings) and it's a confusing layout. Also: VERY overpriced for the amenities available and overall quality.

« Stop over on the way to Canada »

Stayed one night at this pet friendly hotel. We were very happy with our room and the close proximity to the pet area. The room was clean and the 2 queen beds fit our needs perfectly there was plenty of room for our large Lab to sleep on the cool tile floor. I also enjoyed an adult beverage at the on site lounge. I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again if ever traveling through Pocatello.

« Greeted by Warm Cookies! »

Great stay on the way to Yellowstone. We ended a long, 13 hour drive around 7PM and were very strung out from the road. Upon walking in to the lobby we were greeted with the smell of warm cookies and a very warm hello from the friendly desk staff. After our short and efficient check-in we decided to forgo the short walk to one of the close restaurants and opted for "bar food" in the lounge where we could also use our 2 for 1 drink coupons we received at check in. Amazingly the food was better than average, the beer exceptional, and the bar tender/waitress friendly and attentive.

This is a great pet friendly hotel. Front desk was cordial, the grounds well kept, and the room was nice. Only problem I had was that my key did not work on the third night and had to go to the front desk at 1:00 in the morning.

    « Best Best Western on I15 »

The title says it all. No complaints. Everything is just the way you might want it. Highly recommended. We almost avoided this Best Western because of its website photo. It looks like the front end of a prison!! The management needs to change the photo. The hotel is really great looking from the outside and situated at a very pleasant location.

    « Nice room, but!! »

Room was nice, staff were nice. Sink in room was not clear and would not drain properly. The breakfast was very poor, canned bacon, french toast sticks (hard as rocks).....had coffee and juice but did not eat the prepared food items. I have stayed in many Best western Hotels, this one in Pocatello is one I would not recommend.

    5
« Best Hot tub ever! »

We stayed in this hotel to avoid an early morning drive. As such, our decision involved "price" and "pool". The deep end of the pool goes to a whopping 8 foot! (I don't remember ever seeing a hotel pool that goes deep enough I can't swim to the bottom easily). The hot tub had reclined corners, which made it relaxing - which was enhanced by the evening sun streaming through the window. The Breakfast Buffet - (I left too early, but the husband and children report it was amazing). If there is one downside, it's that the wifi was not quite strong enough for my video gaming. (Which for me, was actually a win! More family time!). I would stay again in a heartbeat!

« Good value for overnight stay »

Hotel met our requirements for a clean, spacious and comfortable room for an overnight stay at a reasonable price. Reception staff were pleasant and we did not have any sort of delay on check in - unlike some other reviewers. Breakfast choice was good and varied and plenty of space available in breakfast room

    « Gave up waiting »

We were waiting at least 10 minutes to check in behind two other groups. We understand people are busy and patience is needed but there were 4 people behind the counter, 2 of them working the other 2 sitting and appearing not to be productive. If we had been acknowledged by the staff we would have waited but the apathy of the staff and their customer relations need to be addressed. We ended up going to one of the 3 other adjacent motels outwardly appearing to be of a similar standard.

Everything is perfect. The rooms are spacious, good beds, plenty of pillows, and clean. Plenty of eating establishments close by, very nice layout of a hot breakfast, and a nice pool. For the past 17 years I've averaged over 160 lodging nights per year for business; this is the all-around best property I''ve seen in a very long time. The staff are the icing on the cake.

    « An overnight stop »

Our accommodations were great. We had our small dog with us and the hard floors in the pet friendly room are well thought out. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We did have a few issues with our key. Our night was long as the people staying across the hall were in and out of their room, slamming their door, between 11p.m.-2 a.m. Our kids loved the pool.

    « Good Hotel »

This was a great hotel, it had great breakfast and friendly staff. There was only 3 complaints: There was no elevator, there wasn't a Bible in the room, and there wasn't enough lights in the room, but these weren't major problems. Overall, I would stay here again.

What a very nice surprise to drive up to such a nice hotel after a long day on the road. The hotel is very nice and the staff are very helpful and also nice, a nicely updated property. The wifi is exceptional, and the breakfast was fresh and good. Met and exceeded all of my expectations.

« Front desk staff drove us away »

We stopped here to book a room for the night and asked the two ladies at the front desk for the price on their cheapest room. They told $130, at which point we showed them that TripAdvisor was advertising $75. We were told that they could not match this directly unless we booked through TripAdvisor, which I completely understand (even though we had 3 other hotels do this for us during our trip). While we stepped away from the counter to book on TripAdvisor, I heard one of the front desk people on the phone with another customer telling him/her that they could rent a room for $84 a night. This was appalling to me; she had just told me that the cheapest room we could get was $130 a night. The front desk were not very helpful and basically lied to us. We also felt like we were bothering them by trying to book a room at their hotel. We left and decided to stay at a different hotel down the road.

« Great Room, Great Service, and Great Food »

Recently I stayed at the Best Western Pocatello Inn in Idaho and can highly recommend this hotel for a wonderful stay. The room was clean and very well appointed with an excellent bed, lots of TV channels to choose from for watching. The person at the front desk gave me a list of close places to eat that gave discounts on their food when I showed them that I had my room key. I also asked for local sightseeing and was given many placed to visit. At breakfast I was greeted with a friendly smile from Melinda and Dino and the breakfast food was a great way to start my day. Thank You Both. My overall stay was so enjoyable that I would love to go back just to have a vacation. Thank You All at the Best Western Pocatello Inn. Pat

    « Basketball & Family Fun »

Used to be our family's favorite motel when we travel to Pocatello, but our last trip was bit of a down grade from previous trips. We love that we get two queen beds with a sleeper sofa and a 24 hour pool. Though it would have been nice if the room was clean and inspected before room was reserved. There was trash and beer bottles under the beds and when you folded out the sleep sofa. Was not a kind sight to see after being on the road half the day. AC/heater and bathroom fan was not working properly. We had to open the windows to cool the room down and let out the humidity from our family using the shower for the room to be some what manageable. Remote did not work for the tv but a little walk to change the channel was no problem for us while in the room. I will say the room we stayed in could use some more lighting since it stayed pretty dark during the day and with the lights on. There is no elevators which made it hard for those who need one. My mother-in-law had a hard time walking the steps due to her bad knees. Breakfast was pretty good and was switched up the two days we stayed. The motel usually serves warm cookies at night which our kids love. The personal at the front desk were wonderful in accommodating our needs/wants and always had a friendly & welcoming attitude. All in all this place is still a great place to stay for families. With a few changes I'm sure this hotel will be back to what we normally expect.

After another long day on the road the room and hotel was a welcomed stop. Hotel has all the amenities that a person could want, pool, hot tub, lounge and restaurants close by. « Clean & Comfy »

Stayed for four nights for a wedding. Clean rooms. Very large and pretty modern. The view from our room was beautiful and it was located in a great place close to freeway and many restaurant's. Also very good breakfast in the morning. Some of the most diverse options I've seen at hotels. The cook was great! One negative I would have would be no elevators makes for inconvenient hauling of belongings. Would stay again.

« Fine for a night stay while traveling, but not a choice for a destination »

Got there late at night after booking online. Was given room keys and carried my sleeping child in to get her situated, and when we opened the room door we were shocked to see kids jumping on the bed and a woman asleep in the other bed. Obviously we were given a room that was already occupied. Nothing worse than walking in on someone expecting privacy, as I would. Went back to the front desk and got another room. It was in the executive wing, whatever that means, and sufficed for the night. Somewhat noisy with the traffic on the main road outside the room, but we survived our rest nonetheless. Just an ok hotel for what we needed.

  • 2
« If you enjoy noise, this is your getaway! »

The noise problem and non-ability to contact the front desk late in the evening was unacceptable! It would be very difficult for me to continue to recommend this hotel . Their are many other hotels in the area, I probably would try those before staying here again .

    « HANDICAPPED?? HAVE A PET??? BEWARE!!!!!!!!! »

Having had my leg amputated above the knee recently, is not a deterrent in our 'snowbird' travels, but this year was as difficult as I ever had it. I book ahead, using my employee discount and usually get the handicap room 102. In these years staying there, my profile (I was under the impression a customer profile would have been created by BW and referred to when ever we book noting our physical handicap and that we have pets.... but found this is not the case) really has not changed, and yes, we are pet lovers. Now for you that have stayed there over the past couple of years have noticed that this hotel is updating their premise including their rooms. If one can recall, it was a big deal when they made all rooms non-smoking and you had to initial on your check in each time that you will NOT smoke in the rooms and be forewarned that you could face a severe fine for doing so. Like I said, they've always wanted you to know this and you had to initial this fact on their check in sheet (it was the last box above where you signed). As we've stayed in this particular suite most of the times we've booked the hotel, we know it and our pet knows it. NOW, this handicap room is one of the completely 'refurnished' rooms. From what we can tell, this means that they painted the walls, brought in a new larger TV, all new carpets and yes, redone the bathroom area, making it much more appealing for a handicap individual. That's it..... It has the same old furniture, table, chairs, lights, stands, couch/sleeper, fridge, microwave, etc. Not commenting on others with handicaps, as each is possibly different, when one is missing a leg, having this room is especially great. So I will speak as if I am speaking on behalf of all those that are wheelchair bound or missing a leg which makes movement a great safety concern. For those without or do not wish to put their wheelchair in the water (I do not as I am concerned with having a wet chair in bed of truck accumulating bacteria, etc. while we travel), their setup posses some problems. They provided me with a chair, but turning around in it to access taps or gels is very, very difficult and is a huge safety issue. Grab bars in shower or poorly positioned for individuals such as myself and are a safety issue. Why could BW not have installed a large shower facility (walk-in accessible with seating that allows you to access taps, gels) that has a drop down bench for handicapped individuals, is beyond me. This would appease those with and without handicaps. If BW does not know what I am talking about, I would gladly provide them with a photo of exactly what I mean. Everyone knows that if you are in this part of the building, you have NO access to an ice bin and have to travel back to desk or further to get some ice. Now I will comment on what happened after we checked out and were on our way home. We received a phone message from the hotel manager who said that we had a pet and had stayed in a NON pet room. As we had a pet and I apparently indicated we did not (by initialing the last check box) on our check in form, that we 'could' be liable to HEAVY charges for doing this. But, since they were going to give us the 'benefit of doubt', there would be no fine, but we would be charged the applicable fee for having a pet (which they did right away). My wife listened to this as I was driving and told me about the message. I stopped shortly after and called and asked to speak with the manager. She was not available after the front desk was trying to find her after about 3 or 4 minutes. The female front desk person asked what it was about and I explained it to her. I explained the message the manager had left and explained my position. I explained that I was under the impression that the check in form was one that I had always signed. It was not mentioned to me about changes made to it and I did confirm that I initialed the last line. But what I also said was that when I checked in, I had been driving for over 13 hours and was very tired and I thought the form was the one that had you initial for not smoking in the room. I was NOT aware that this was for having a pet. I also mentioned that I believed BW had my profile saved, indicating my needing a handicapped room and having a pet. I asked her why I had always been staying in this room, why this was NOT a pet room anymore. She told me that because of it being 'refurnished', pets were not allowed in it. I asked her if there was another handicapped room available for me and she informed me that yes, one of the ones right beside this one was. Was this handicapped room like the one I usually stayed in? No, I was told, it was not refurnished. OUCH..... this was hurtful.... all because we have a pet. SO IF YOU ARE GETTING OLDER, HAVE A PET AND NEED A PROPER HANDICAPPED ROOM, YOU MIGHT CONSIDER GOING SOMEWHERE ELSE.

I needed to book a place near my orientation online. I went by what others had said and the price was right too. You will be very satisfied with this choice. Rooms might be tight for more than one person, but for one, it was perfect. Breakfast was fast with real scrambled eggs, biscuits, and sausages with fruit.

Had a block of rooms for a soccer tournament. It was a great location to the where the soccer fields are located from this hotel and the hotel is clean and had great rates for us. Would stay here again! Great staff and very helpful!

    « Average »

Stayed here one night on a road trip. Property is old and should not be charging the price given the conditions of the rooms. Would not be happy here for a longer stay as the bed was not very comfortable. Large groups stay here and can overwhelm the breakfast buffet so breakfast timing is important.

« Comfortable and accomodating Inn »

This is the third year we have stayed at this Great Western. Our rooms have always been comfortable and inviting. The housekeeping service has been excellent and always accommodating. The breakfasts are warm and appetizing and a good variety. It is conveniently located to freeway, restaurants and shopping. Beds are comfortable and rooms are roomy.

    « Great Hotel »

Very comfortable hotel, great bed, great pillows, large flat screen TV, very good internet connection, adequate and comfortable bathroom. Restaurants to get a variety of foods within walking distance. Free and sufficient breakfast was very good. Nothing fancy but for a place to spend an evening and get a good nights rest this hotel gets FIVE STARS.

    « Quick overnight stay »

Room was in quiet area, very restful. Enjoying staying at best westerns. The breakfast area has undergone some renovations since our last visit, it is now well lit and inviting and items are easy to locate.

    « Clean room. »

One of the nicer Best Westerns I've been to in a while. The room was clean although a little small, the staff was very friendly and the bar tender Matt was full of good information. I will definitely stay here the next time I'm in town.

    « Not truthful »

We called to book a room for our nieces graduation and were sold a Queen room for $179.00 a night. The bed was only a full with queen sheets on it. Very uncomfortable for 2 adults. First we should have been told it was only a full and second when we complained we should have bee given a queen room or compensated for a smaller bed if nothing was available - it instead was full charge and "sorry Charlie".

    « Excellent Place »

We stayed on (3) different Best Western Hotels including this one on on way home from Virginia. We were pleased with all of our stays in them. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The room was very clean and comfortable. They even allow pets, which a lot of hotels do not. The complimentary breakfast was vary good with a great variety of breakfast items available. Overall it was a great stay and would recommend it to anyone traveling through the Pocatello Idaho area.

    « Needs updating »

when you check in they charge on your credit card for additional 10% for incidental whatever that means. it a collage town so maybe they have issue with that. we did not appreciate it. they are under construction and the room we had need to be update. they were very noise all the doors slammed without you trying the hinges on the doors didn't work. the breakfast was very sad. I like the hotels that used a real restaurant or serve healtly food choices.

    5
« Great staff and accommodating Hotel. »

As a tour director for schools I couldn't have been happier with the service that we received and the way the staff treated us. As always there are things that happen that you can't plan for, like a room being renovated that is checked out to your group. However, the staff handled the issue quickly and made sure our group and our students were taken care of!

« Dog and People Rooms »

I have stayed at this property a number of times and it has always been pleasant. Traveled this time with my dog and this Best Western accommodates puppies. My room was right next to an exit door so was a little worried about noise but turned out OK. The room had a solid surface floor which, I think, is a much better idea than carpet in rooms that allow dogs. Quite a bit of remodeling has been done here, so overall in good condition. Only compliant would be the noisy heat/fan/AC unit - I have to have my white noise. Overall, nice and cozy and dog was very happy.

    5
    « Great Location »

Centrally located, easy access to freeway and staff was very friendly. Hot cookies in afternoon were amazing. Breakfast always had good variety. Kids loved pool was available all hours, while we were there they swam for 3 hours and had it all to themselves!

« Thin Walls, Clean Rooms »

A friend and I stayed at the Best Western in Pocatello, Id recently. We arrived late, about 10 p.m. The counter clerk was friendly and we checked in and went to our room quickly after a long day of driving. Immediately, I could hear snoring from room adjacent to ours. However, whoever it was had intermittent snoring and I used ear plugs as I usually do in a hotel/motel. There were a couple of items that did not work properly in the room and next morning I pointed them out to the checkout counter clerk. One was a shower soap dispenser that was plugged, the other was a desk lamp with a broken switch. The bed was comfortable and four pillows were offered. The pillows seemed to be all the same firmness. The room was clean as was the bathroom. There was some minor wall damage such as marring of the drywall. The AC/Heater unit fan was too loud to operate but room temperature was good so we didn't have to suffer with the fan noise. There was the typical continental breakfast that most roadside motels serve. Items were scrambled eggs, sausage links, waffles, cereal, OJ, bananas, yogurt, etc. Very typical. We were able to get the room as a last minute deal through the BW website for $82+tax. I rate this room and facility as a 3. It is certainly not the nicest BW at which I have stayed.

    4
    « Best Customer Service »

This is a nice comfortable place to stay. The rooms were clean and had all the amenities you would want. There was some remodeling going on at the motel during our stay, but you wouldn't even know it. We really appreciate the ladies at the front desk they were very accommodating. I would stay here again just for the service, that's what makes the stay even better.

    4
« we found some upgrading in the area we were in. Two things , the bed was not great, needs a firmer bed, thinner duvet »

we enjoyed our stay, however the bed needs to be replaced it is worn out. we were in 207. the duvet is away too thick you can buy medium ones. The shower gel and shampoo and conditioner do not let enough liquid out. The breakfast room was great and it looked like the pool had been renovated since last we were there. Thank you it was a nice stay.

    « Amazing Lounge »

The lounge here at this Best Western in Pocatello is amazing! I quite enjoyed my time in there with my friends. The lounge attendant that night was pretty phenomenal. I cannot remember her name, but she helped us decide on a drink we would like, and even took up the challenge to make a drink she had never heard of before. :-) I hope she is always there when I stay at the Pocatello Inn!

    « Nice stay »

Loved the room update at this location! Bed was better than average for a hotel. The room was quiet! Breakfast was abundant, but average hotel fare. Wifi was very fast. Front desk staff helpful and professional at check in.

    « Returning home »

We have been staying at the Inn for at least the last forty years both on our way south either San Diego or Mesa Az & our way home. We come here as the staff is friendly & the atmosphere is relaxed. We use the lounge/bar when we arrive after an 11 hour drive as well as the breakfast when we leave (saves time & money).

    4
    « Regular Visitor »

We always enjoy our stay at Pocatello Inn. We stay twice each year and find that it suits us just fine. The location is perfect. The staff are always very polite especially Mat in the bar. The breakfast is very good. The room was renovated and the entire hotel has had a recent renewal.

    « Weekend tounament »

Hotel was clean and guest check in was very nice. Kids loved the 24 hour pool since our games didn't get over until midnight. Next time we stay I will request a top floor room. It sounded as if someone was running a marathon all night above us.

    « Quick quiet stay »

Well appointed and close to highway and attractions. Clean room, undergoing renovations, but quiet. Helpful staff. Lovely breakfast room with typical options. The breakfast lady was very friendly. The bed was comfortable and the linens were soft. Will stay again.

« Awesome over nighter at the BW in Pocatello! »

We really enjoyed our stay at the Best Western in Pocatello. It's right off the highway and not hard to find. Great hotel with friendly staff, clean, close restaurants and fantastic continental breakfast! The staff are there to make your stay a good one. They treated us like guests and wanted us to know if we needed anything at all, just to let them know. I would recommend this hotel in a minute!

    3
    « Not very happy »

I would not stay here again. Room smelled like old fish, they have gone to dispensers for soap and shampoo and conditioner. No soap or shampoo, and very little conditioner would come out of the dispensers. The refrigerator didn't cool until the next morning after I fooled with the settings.

A very large property far enough off the freeway to be quite quiet. The breakfast room was very nicely appointed and the food was good. The hotel has been undergoing renovations which are not quite complete but very nice

    « Very comfy bedding! »

Pool and hot tub were open 24 hours. Very comfortable beds and friendly staff with an excellent breakfast! Close to many restaurants and also a lounge and bar in the motel. Free wifi service with good connections.

    « Convenient Hotels »

It is very easy to find the best western's while travelling. They are well posted along the freeway's so it makes it easy to stop. I have also got a best western card and they have a promotion right now that gives you a $25.00 gift certificate if you stay at 2 different hotels. I should be receiving another on as we stayed at two best western's coming home from our trip.

    5
« Good stop coming home »

We always try to get a specific room that is quite large with two queen beds. It was a cat friendly room and was handy getting in and out of the hotel with Miss Molson. They are charging $10 extra now for pets which is new. This is our usual stop in Pocatello going down and coming home from our winter stay in Yuma, AZ. They also have ten % off on nearby restaurants. The breakfast in the morning is good in a nice clean, large room.

    « Gun Show »

My husband loves to go to the area gun shows at least once a year. They had one in blackfoot at Fort Hall on the indian reservation. We elected to stay 10 mins. away because of the price and lounge on the property. Staff knew what was going on in the area for the weekend to give us a chose. Its always good to get a way.

    5
« Enjoyed the stay, loved the room »

I want to say that I had the best stay at this hotel. The front desk clerk, Heather, was kind, compassionate and always smiled. She is an asset for this hotel and I would say promote her, but I think she does a wonderful job at the front desk. The rooms were comfortable and cozy with great beds. If I get the chance to stay there again, I will gladly. I visited the lounge and had a wonderful time with the company of the bartender and some guest. Everyone staff member I spoke with was pleasant and made you feel like you were at home.

« REPEAT VISIT DID NOT DISAPPOINT »

We have stayed at this lovely hotel several times and it always meets or exceeds our expectations. The front lobby and other parts of the hotel have been refurbished and it is very upscale and inviting. Cleanliness is excellent, beds and pillows are comfy. They always do their best at making you feel safe and secure as well. Thanks for a lovely stay!

    1
« Do not stay here »

This was by far the worst hotel experience. The room is loud, the beds are uncomfortable, and the breakfast is crowded with food mediocre. If they remodeled, they used the cheapest fixtures, flooring, tv, and mattresses. This is a budget hotel with high prices. We will be hard pressed to stay at a Best Western again. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere while in Pocatello.

    3
« Clean Hotel, friendly staff, some renos in progress. »

This was just an overnight stop on our way back from Phoenix, the location was very good , just off the freeway and walking distance to a couple of restaurants. The service was good and staff helpful, the room was smaller than expected and definitely hard to maneuver around after a couple of suitcases are in the room.

    5

    « So comfortable »

We travel quite a bit and comfortable beds are high on my list. The bed was the most comfortable we have slept on in months, pillows too. Very modern and clean. Great breakfast room. Highly recommended

    2
    « It's all about the bed »

The only thing I really wanted was a good night sleep and the bed was not conducive to that. It was too hard and so bouncy i felt like I was sleeping on a trampoline. I sort of feel like the bed is the most important thing and if the hotel can't get that right they may as well not be in business.

« Having Fun at the Best Western »

My stays at the Best Western Pocatello Inn in Pocatello, Idaho always give me something to look forward to and I always feel pampered by the quality of the service from the staff who really care that my stay is the BEST it can be. The rooms are decorated beautifully, the bed is wonderfully comfortable, the breakfast is a great way to start the day and the overall appearance of the hotel both outside and inside is clean and you can tell that it is taken care of very well. Easy off the freeway, plenty of parking, and close to good places to eat make this hotel my favorite place to stay in Pocatello. Thank You to the owner and all the staff.

    « Dingy hotel room »

We had stayed here before and were quite happy with the accommodations which is why we chose it on our latest trip. It is undergoing some much needed renovations. However, we were assigned a room that had not yet been renovated. It was dark, dingy and dirty. Greasy hand prints on tv screen dirty remote, dusty lamps and carpet needed good cleaning. At least the bed was comfortable.

    « Wonderful stay »

We showed up at 2:30am on our way to Oklahoma, got up, ate breakfast at 6am and were treated like gold by the Breakfast Attendant. He was so frienfly, funny, knoweldable of the weather forcast and snowy road conditions and was helpful. Loved our stay and I didnt want to get out of the comfortable beds and cozy pillows. Highly recommended!!!!

    « GREAT stay!!! »

From the staff to the room to the breakfast to the facilities... GREAT overall stay. Had a last minute check-in and they were able to accommodate with hesitation. I would highly recommend this hotel!!!

    « Comfortable stay »

This was an overall nice stay. The breakfast is good, with a lot of carbohydrate choices. Wish they offered some greens to start the day, even if it was to sell green drinks on the premises. Herbal tea and decaf tea in lobby would be nice too. The shuttle service was excellent and staff very professional.

    1
« Horrible place to stay »

The beds were terrible and the heater didn't work in the room very good. Since it was 7 degrees a warm room was essential. Also when I checked out I was charged an extra day since I checked out literally 10 min late. I drive a charter bus all over the USA and bring 56 people at a time. On this trip I stayed alone because I was switching with another driver and the bus kept moving. But I will never stay at this place again and make sure none of our buses ever stay there either. The service was horrible.

  • 2
    « Hotel under construction »

Very disappointed. Initially given a room that was under construction thus no furniture. Second room available was not what we had reserved and had just been refurbished. Paint smell very strong, light bulbs not working and bed sheets did not fit.

    1
    « Uncomfortable bed »

Our bathroom smelled like pee, our bed was horrible and you could feel the springs in it. Our mini fridge wasn't plugged in. My husband put our beverages and leftovers in it (that was special) two thumbs down

    4
« Stayed here for meeting »

I stayed here while in town for a meeting. The hotel was very busy but OK. It was bit noisy but the staff were helpful in getting things toned down. There aren't a large number of places to eat in the immediate area, so keep that in mind.

    5
« Great Place To Stay »

I travel every week and when I'm in Pocatello I always stay at the Best Western Pocatello Inn. Heather and her staff are fantastic! They are very helpful and always greet me with a smile. The rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast, which comes with the room, is excellent. I highly recommend this hotel.

    2
    « Beware of room 269 »

In all fairness we have stayed here many times and always had a good experience. This time, however, we were in room 269 which is horrible. It is right by the door and a stairwell. All evening long and in the early morning the door was banging and people were tramping up and down the stairs. The noise of the room far out weighed the benefit of being near an exit for our dogs. Also, we were warned ahead of time that if someone complained about our dogs and wanted a discount, we would be responsible for the difference. Not only do I think that is illegal, it is a very unwelcoming attitude. Our dogs are well behaved and have no issues

    4
    « First Time »

This was my first time staying here, and they are under remodel. But they were very nice and I believe it will be really nice when they are done. The only thing that I wasn't crazy about is they do not have a fitness room but they had a pass to a gym that was a few miles away.

    5
« Very nice place to stay »

We visit this town every holiday and different times thru out the year to see our family. When we come here it's always for 2 or 3 days. It's an 8 hour drive to get here. We always choose this hotel. The pool is open 24 hours. I have never stayed anywhere else that has a 24 hour open pool. We have had a large trailer behind our pickup almost every time we have come here. There is so much parking space on all sides, you could be an amiture driver and still be able to park here with no problems.

« My folks live in Montana and this is our place to stay on the way up when we go »

Very comfortable and great front desk people. Comes with a free breakfast. Only bad thing was they were renovating rooms and supposedly the only thing they had left was a suite so we had to get that at a little higher rate but my triple A brought it down a bit

    4
« An Oasis after a day of travel »

They were undergoing renovations and the gal at the front desk upgraded us for choosing them at this time even though it never interfered with our stay. Hot tub was fantastic, the room quiet and clean and breakfast was the way we like it. We picked them because they were close to the highway and it was the best choice we could have made, Hooray Best Western you've done it again.

The food is always great if you want to eat their in the restaurant other wise there is a restaurant 2 minutes walking ...applebees...Everything is done up right for us .

Clean, quiet, and very helpful staff . Decent breakfast. It has become the stop point when on the I-15 .Tried North Ogden BW once . No continental breakfast ; too close to the I-15 and marginal rooms. Pocatella is a better situation. You may save a bit by booking on line through priceline .com Happy Trails

    « Surprise »

I was very satisfied with my stay. They are using the winter to continue to upgrade their rooms, and I expect great results. No elevator to upper floors, so request ground floor if you need it. Military discount includes veterans, so the value was great.

    3
    « GREAT PETHOTEL »

If you are travelling with pets through Pocatello this is a great spot for them. For us humans, however, the rooms are not really clean. The carpet in our room was really dirty...not vacuumed type dirty, with buildup of dust and dirt along the edges and in corners. I will stay again though because they really do welcome pets!

    « BW Pocatello - November 2015 »

We stayed in Pocatello Inn on our way down south. The front desk was very busy and was glad I made a reservation in advance. The bed was super comfy and the room was spacious with all necessary amenities. We walked over to the Applebee restaurant and the hotel is close to convenience stores and gas stations.

« Almost A Home Away From Home »

We get to Pocatello several times a year to visit family. We've stayed at this property several times. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly and generally very good about problem solving. The entire hotel is pet friendly. No elevator so chose your room carefully if you have mobility challenges. They've replaced the amenities with locker room type dispensers in the shower. Internet is generally good. Great coffee place a half a block away - Snake River Coffee.

    5
« Updating Facility (Decore) But Great Place To Stay »

My wife and I stayed here on our way back home. We have small puppies and being a 'pet friendly' hotel, this one particular reason we've always stayed here. Service great! Dining area first class (upgraded). Dino, hotel employee responsible for preparation of free (included) breakfast buffet was pleasant and friendly. He had prepared an outstanding breakfast that was well stocked with HOT foods as well as other items. Rooms are adequate, but this appears to be the next step in the renovation process and it is needed. Dining room already excellent and if rooms are of this standard, hotel will definitely be a 5 star accommodation!! Check in and check out was quick and no problems. Sleep was outstanding!! QUIET (even with all the pets we know were there). NO PROBLEMS!! Bed was VERY COMFORTABLE!! Location easy to get to of the I-15 I would recommend this stop for anyone needing a well rested stay. One other thing, being handicapped, I had requested such a room. I had found out that I did not have an adequate chair to sit in while showering (recent amputee) as I needed. I informed the front desk attendant while checking in and she had a fellow bring a proper seating chair for a handicapped individual. Nice to know that they had this when I had totally forgotten.

« Clean hotel with touch of luxury. »

My best hotel near Yellowstone. Clean fancy rooms. Friendly staffs, stress free parking. Near food restaurants, so not starving. I get more than what I paid. Best motel mattress ever in my life. Flawless service. Feel like home. Feels spacious. Great Breakfast. it's a great hotel just $89.

« This is a excellent place to stay »

After the last experience with best western in midland Texas. I checked on their weekday rates first, they do not jack the rates for the week days. Very comfortable place to stay with a very good hot breakfast. They have a lounge that you can get a snack before bed time very nice staff as well

    3
    « Clean, Average Hotel »

Nothing overly remarkable about this hotel. Some parts of the hotel have been recently renovated, but not the wing we were in. It was clean and comfortable, but no real "wow" factor. We used our drink coupons in the bar, but it was really empty and the bartender was weird. Plus, there was a STRONG odor of deep-fat fryer in there which made me feel a need to shower when I got back to my room. Save your beer money and drink elsewhere. The breakfast area was really nice though, as was the food served. Overall, the hotel was adequate and I think once they get the entire facility updated/remodeled, it will be even better.

    « Pleasant 5-day stay »

We had a room with 1 king bed. It was well lighted, with reading light on both sides of the bed. The property is conveniently located close to I-15 at the north side of town, on a street with several motels, far enough from the highway that there is no highway noise. The room had a mini refrigerator with freezer compartment. Breakfasts were very good, with two hot selections every day, varying through the week, and two waffle makers.

    3
« It was fine, but not impressive in any way »

Check in was easy, and we were allowed to check in a few minutes early. We requested a ground level room, and got what we requested. The room was large and clean. The heater/air conditioner was so loud that we were awake off and on all night. The breakfast was not good, certainly not up to Best Western standards. Eggs were runny and sitting in water. If we stay there again, we will bring our own food and ear plugs.

    5
    « Best Rest »

I had the best sleep of any hotel I have stayed at. The room was quiet and mattress and bedding were perfect. We could see our rig from the window in our room. Pets are accepted, and the room had quick access to the outside dog area with decent walking area nearby and lots of space to park an RV. Great WiFi! Would have given a 5 for Value if my Gift Card (BW Points Program) would have been accepted. I booked on-lone using BW website and that seemed to be the issue, but the great sleep made it all wothrthwhile.

    5
    « Excellent Experienc »

The previous night we got into Great Falls late. Checked into the first hotel. Super 8-what a terrible maintained place and not too friendly staff. Room should have been condemned. Had a quick sleep and off to Pocatello to find a Best Western. Wonderful stay. Super Hotel and staff.

    2
    « not necessary »

Maybe the hotel management should sleep in one of the beds that way you can judge for yourselves .This hotel was not a 4 star rating .I think Best Western should maybe be a little more careful when they choose to bring hotels like this on board . I just can't give them a good rating.

    4
    « Room service »

We were traveling with pets and didn't want to leave them in the room alone. we called for room service and on the menu they had sandwiches and beer listed but when we called to order they had none of the sandwich items available and would not deliver beer to the room ...which is fine but why put it on the room service menu. We ended up calling elsewhere for take out

« Great Job, dog friendly »

Our room was very clean. Nice size fridge and microwave. I loved being able to stay in a clean hotel with out little dogs. Staff very accommodating at breakfast. Only comment, it would be nice to have a garbage can at each entrance to dispose of doggie bags. Price was great and everything was so clean.

We were here for our grandsons college football game and the location is excellent. As well as the hotels restaurant and lounge there are more than 6 other dining places (3 within walking distance) close by. The college arena is less than 8 minutes by car. The included full breakfast was fresh and continually restocked. This is our place to stay in Pocatello.

A clean room but small. The breakfast was good and the people running it were really helpful and nice. For a best western I was disappointed in the management at the front desk over the weekend. It seemed like they just didn't know what they were doing. When I asked for towels for the pool the front desk lady didn't even know if they had towels for the pool. The pool was freezing and the hot tube was warm at only 90 degrees. It was disgusting with hair floating in it and other noticeable debris. I accident,y left my pillow so I called that night and they said they didn't have it. So I decided to call Monday morning and that front desk person said it was there the whole time. I showed up to pick it up and someone stapled a paper to my pillow case. I understand they have to label it but tape wouldn't have put holes in my pillow case. Just seemed like the weekend workers were not thinking.

    « Awesome Hotel »

This hotel was awesome. Pool and hot tub open 24 hours. Room was fantastic and the bed was the best I have ever slept on. Located close to freeway, restaurants, gas stations, etc. Easy on and off to the interstate. The breakfast was really good also. AND some fresh good cookies in the evening.

    « Excellent location »

Pocatello, Idaho is such a scenic little town and this Best Western motel was a great place to rest after a long drive from Whitefish Montana. The room was immaculate and so inviting for a good rest. Breakfast was a bit better at the BW in Whitefish but still tasty.

« great hotel very nice staff »

rooms were clean large and very comfortable the breakfast was wonderful and they also have 24 hour coffee and at 8 pm fresh cookies and lemonade yum. It is a pet friendly motel which is terrific and the pet friendly room was so clean you would never guess it was for pets as well. Conveniently located right off Hwy 15 perfect!!! Overall it was wonderful this hotel does have a very nice pool and work out room however we did not have time to take advantage of either but both looked great.

« Good place to stay »

Rooms were clean, pool area we clean and kept up. Breakfast was good, nothing spectacular. The best breakfast I've had at Best Western was at the Abbey Inn in St. George. Check in was pretty quick and the staff were friendly and asked if we had questions or needed any further help. We didn't spend much time at the hotel, in at 7 pm and out at 8 am.

« Great motel, great service, great location, great town »

We arrived late in to Pocatello the day after my wife had suffered an injury while running a Utah marathon. This BW was perfect for us. Heather and Scott were incredibly helpful. I was even able to golf a quick round at Highland GC while my wife slept in the next AM.

    « Convenient Location »

Easy to access from the Highway, yet very quiet property. Comfortable room and very pleasant breakfast room for the morning meal. Very friendly service at check in/out. The parking was close to our room. Also, there were several restaurant choices in walking distance. An enjoyable stay and we would stop again!

    « As expected at most BW's »

Fair property, clean and has a lounge and pool. Booked in directly at the hotel. Was surprised to see I was put into a disabled room though. Unless your disabled the tub is too low as well as the sink and the toilet is too high. I should have been made aware of this at checkin.

« Great for dogs (and people too) »

Very nice and accommodating staff; close proximity to restaurants - that have curbside service so you don't have to leave your dog. Safe environment for taking the dog out at night. Excellent breakfast - bacon, eggs and french toast!

We really enjoyed our stay. We took advantage of all the amenities: hot tub and great breakfast. All the staff was very friendly. The room was really beautiful and elegant looking though the desk staff you are upgrading those.
