Best Western Hotel Heide

Good place to stay in Oldenburg but a little away from the city center in a quiet residential neighborhood. Breakfast (extra) is wonderful with a good selection. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Only drawback is the parking situation. There are only a few spots, squeezed in next to the hotel, across the street, and behind some other buildings. Sometimes you have to check all of them to find a spot, and the spots are all super tight.

Spent a night here last weekend to visit the christmas market in Oldenburg. Reception was very friendly. Even though we were quite early we were allowed to leave our car there with the hotel. When we returned from the market, which is just a 15-20 min. walk away from the hotel, our room was ready. We had a nice and large enough room with a large bed and a small seating area. Coffee and tea facilities were available and sufficient. Even while the decor of the room is a little boring and may appear outdated, the room is spotless. Just a tip: put some decoration on the long, sterile white walls and it will immediately look nicer and more welcoming. The bed is large but a little too soft for our liking. To us it felt like an old matress as the sides were significantly firmer than the middle areas. WiFi in the room is free, good and fast. The bathroom is actually quite spacious and because of that it surprised me why they have installed this very small shower cabin, of which half the space is lost by the huge tap that is installed in it. This makes showering is not as comfortable as it could be because the tap is automatically adjusted when you move. It's hard to avoid a tap of this size in the cabin.. The hotel offers a bar and restaurant which we wanted to try, but the lack of atmosphere drove us back to the city center for dinner. A bit of background music and attentive bar personnel might have changed our mind as the menu looks promising. Now we were having a beer in an extremely quiet bar without a bartender. That's not how you keep customers in... Breakfast is German quality, lots of choice and fresh. Overall a good hotel, but it can improve on the details.

Hotel is okay, but when you ask for a non-smoker room and get the opposite, rating will be low! Especially when you also notice that smokers had a non-smoking room and went outside for smoking. Otherwise the hotel is in a quite area a bit from city center, but still some good restaurants in the neighborhood.

On solo business trip all I need is a clean room, good wifi and pleasant staff. This hotel provided all plus a decent breakfast. Dinner is good if limited. I like to wander the district and find a friendly pub where I can discuss affairs of state with local residents - at least two within 2 mins walk plus a supermarket, bakers, takeaways.

Stayed here during a business trip. The rooms are a little dated and remind me of the 70's although clean and tidy could do with a little modernisation. It was quite hot outside (32deg) but the room was like an oven, to the point of not being able to sleep. I asked for a fan but all 20 that the hotel own, had been given out already, be careful as the rooms are not air conditioned at all. It's a good 30-45 minute walk to the restaurants in town. The staff are pleasant and welcoming. Breakfast buffet was excellent with a good selection. Although it was a nice hotel, I would look elsewhere next time I am in town unfortunately mainly due to the room temperature...

A nice hotel, there is limited parking but rooms and inside is nice, the pool is good with outdoor terrace, the rooms were hot and poorly ventilated when i was there, i also didnt like the lack of parking and my laundry did not achieve advertised speeds... Breakfast is good

Located in residential suburbs of the town, so SatNav needed. On the positive side, I found the staff courteous, willing to help and human. Free parking is available. The food was good and the room was well sized. On the down-side the English language version of the menu is out-of-date and lists items no longer available; this meant I ended up with a main course and suite I didn't order, but they tasted OK anyway. Fullsome breakfast, lots of choices. I noticed a sign to a swimming pool downstairs, not used by me, but might be a bonus for some. No airconditioning - was needed on a hot summer night. Overall fine.

We spent some time in Oldenburg and stayed in the Best Western Hotel. We booked a bigger room and it was quite well, the beds were good. However: Wifi didn't work in our room, only in the central hall. The staff was very nice and helpfull. Though everything was there, there was hardly any atmosphere in the hotel. The breakfastroom was small and noisy, and especially if you are used to some silence in the morning, it isn't very helpfull.

Very nice hotel where the staff is very friendly and helpful with any needs you may have. Accommodations were comfortable and the breakfast was very good and plentiful. This hotel is a short walk to the Zentrum pedestrian area where you can walk around, shop and where you can find any number of good restaurants.

we liked the hotel a lot . the staff were very pleasant and friendly. the food excellent. The bar waitress was very pleasant. the rooms really good and clean. Avery good breakfast. well located in a quiet area of the town with easy freeway access.

The room was very clean, but that is the only thing positive about it. It was outdated and way to small. Made me feel like I was at boardingschool. Only difference the rate and the loud soccerfans in the bar!

This is definitely a hotel to recommend. Friendly and knowledgeable staff who are always ready to help. Clean comfortable room and hotel. Breakfast is a magnificent buffet. Can't think of a thing to complain about!

Great stay at this hotel. All staff from reception to restaurant were absolutely nice and helpful. Room was very clean and quiet, with the radiators and all other appliances in good working condition. Bed was comfortable and the linen was good quality. Bathroom was spacious and spotless. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of good quality options. Internet was working well.

I stayed at the hotel for just under two weeks and it was great. The rooms are basic but comfortable and clean, the staff is very kind and thoughtful, and the breakfast is excellent with a great selection (and a cute beverage corner is always open during the day). The location is especially convenient - a bus stop to the city center or central train station is just minutes away from the hotel (the bus ride is only about ten minutes to either and it is about 25 minutes walk), also about 25 minute walk to the University and there is a supermarket and several nice bakeries down the street.

The Best Western Hotel Heide was one of the spookiest stays of the trip to Germany. There was no air-conditioning and particularly on the second visit we had to leave the big windows wide open. To make it worse there were no screens. Being Americans it left us feeling exposed. You know, what if somebody climbed in the window at night? The building next door was not all that far away. Despite the fact that we noticed it was a tax office during the day, when it was dark I kept on seeing a lady in the window across from us looking in at us. At one point the light in the next building went on at 3AM, waking me up.. The situation led to sleepless nights staring at the window. I couldn't wait for dawn and the breakfast room to open so I could escape from room 107.

I stayed 2 night in a rather small room. There is a nice wellness area including a fairly big pool. Breakfast had a lot of choices and was generous! A good place to stay even though a few steps away from the centre.

A very nice and comfortable hotel in a residential area with FREE parking, The rooms are of a nice size and very clean , nice bathroom. The restaurant is nice, breakfast is the best value we encountered in Germany.
