Good rooms, great service, great restaurant that is attached to hotel. Hotel Breakfast provides plenty of options, and the restaurant has a good bar, and very good food. Will get very busy on weekends due to hockey tournaments in the area. Also, make sure to check out Schells Brewery and Sweet Haven when it town. Both places are great to grab a drink or a beer

Had multiple bugs in the bathroom, sliding door doesn't lock. Sheets were like sandpaper and left with a skin burn on both elbows from the sheets. Front desk was unconcerned when problems were brought to their attention

We used this space for our wedding reception and it was phenomenal! it is such a great space because guests can stay at the same place as the reception. It makes for an easier and safer evening for guests. The staff were incredibly respectful and accommodating to all our needs as the bride and groom, as well as to our guests. The bridal sweet was also complimentary! The rooms were very clean. The site is definitely older, but they do well at maintaining the integrity of the towns history while also keeping up with modern demand. We enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend to others! Thank you!!

Enjoyed rooms near the pool with a larger area to set up for more than 20 family members to gather for Christmas, food, gifts and area to swim, play games, visit and enjoy. Being able to bring our own food and area to be together made this trip very enjoyable.

I've stayed at this hotel for many many years. It's always clean and comfortable. Pleasant and helpful staff. We will stay again. The pool area is large and fun for the kids. The restaurant/bar is close and convenient. There is a grocery store right next door and a few other restaurants nearby.

We had our wedding reception at the Best Western and many of our family members and friends stayed the night at this hotel. The staff was all very friendly and professional and Brittany was wonderful to work with! She always kept us in the loop and went above and beyond to see our wedding vision come through! The hotel was clean and allowed many spaces to relax and catch up with one another, we all loved the pool and the layout! On behalf of the Schneiders, thank you so much!!!! :)

There was a wedding reception on our second night. We were not a part of the reception, but our room was located right next to the festivities, which lasted until after midnight. We were unable to get to sleep due to the noise of the DJ. If our room would have been on the other side of the hotel, we would have been fine, but we were not and this made for an incredibly terrible evening that negatively impacted our stay and our trip. Other than that, the staff and facilities were good.

We'd experienced the same at another Best Western and I'd put it down the hotel designer being on LSD, but here we are again. Who wants a hotel room where if you open your curtains people from the pool look in, and you get the constant never-ending noise from people in the pool? I don't need a cut and paste response from Erin. No response is better than the same response she puts for every negative review.

Would recommend this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet although I thought a bit pricey. Ate dinner at the Green Mill adjoining the hotel. The atmosphere was pleasant and quiet enough to converse with dinner partners. Service was good and prompt. Our server, Ethan, was excellent. The food was delicious and reasonable priced.

Worth the money if you're visiting New Ulm, MN. A clean room and updated bathroom was refreshing. Front desk friendly and helpful. Location is good, bedding was fresh and breakfast was satisfying. Found some smudges, but besides that a clean and good stay to finish out my visit here!!

Disappointed by our one night stay. The shower hadn't been cleaned for who knows how long. When we went to eat breakfast in lobby, there was a rude staff member there who was supposed to help you make waffles. Wouldn't recommend.

I am not surprised anymore at the bad service. This place is very dated along with having a terrible smell everywhere you go. I called in to book a room and was told I would get a ground level room due to my heavy luggage, however, I was greeted with a 2nd floor room and rude front desk staff that would not move me down nor give me any reimbursement for throwing my back out carrying my luggage up the stairs. I would recommend elsewhere if you want a hotel that cares about its customers.

A very nice Best Western hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. The pool area is huge, and both the pool and the hot tub were good temperatures. The breakfast was good... with eggs and sausage one day, eggs and bacon the next, plus waffles, fruit, cereals, pastries, juice, etc. My only small complaint is the many large and deep potholes in the driveway leading into the hotel lot.

Nice facilities with indoor pool and hot tub. Restaurant next door so no need to head out once you get there. Full breakfast is a constant pleasure for a quick or relaxed start. Freezer with bagged ice available but was empty when I tried to get some.

We came in for a baseball tournament, and I have always enjoyed staying at a Best Western but this location did not stand up to the standards. 1. The key cards did not work multiple times. We were told to keep it away from your phone but that didn't solve the issue completely- so lots of trips to the front desk. 2. Our room phone didn't work and we do have cellphones but it is nice to call quickly to front desk, etc. Asked for someone to check it but no one came. 3. Ice ran out. There are a chest with ice in bags so no ice machine. This was important to us as we were there for a baseball tournament. 4. There was an expectation sheet given out to the baseball team for the kids which I can appreciate. But what was disappointing in my view is to pay full price at $ 330 for 2 nights with no phone, no ice and inconsistent entry into my room with one person on staff ( who tried hard) did not meet their expectations. They knew the weekend was going to be sold out and left a staff member ( who said they were all alone ) to handle it all which set her up for failure as my issues were experienced by others as well. This might be the best option you in New Ulm but I am going to stay elsewhere in the future.

Event, catering, and hotel staff were very attentive to our needs. Dinner was delicious and beautifully presented. Property has been remodeled in last few years and the meeting space is open and welcoming.

They put me in a room that had a window that overlooked the banquet room that had an auction going until 11 pm, I was with kids and we were there for a competition so we had been up since 5 am and wanted to sleep, they could not move our room and only gave me a 20 credit. The staff was over all rude and didnt have any customer service. I ordered room service - had to call 4x to ask where my food was, gave it to me eventually really late. They also did not have any customer service.

Nice-sized tidy rooms, great entertainment, very good breakfast. Wish they had a shuttle to go to the brewery and downtown but we made do with Red's Rides. There were scrambled eggs and sausage with breakfast, along with waffles, toast and bagels, and the usual assortment of fruits and cereals, juices, etc..

There is no other hotel in New Ulm that comes anywhere close to the quality of your staff except for the Best Western Plus in New Ulm. The New Ulm Best Western Plus lives up to the Best Western franchise.

Everyone was accommodating & curtious. The rooms were clean & the breakfast was great! We were able to check in at a later time without any hassle & our rooms were waiting for us. Would recommend this place to anyone. Thank you

The hotel was clean, staff is very friendly and breakfast has so many choices and was very good. The pool and hot tub are also real nice and the shower water pressure in our room was great. It's a bit expensive but I think it is the best option in New Ulm.

My wife and I had a short trip to New Ulm to visit friends and relatives and had a fantastic stay at Best Western Plus New Ulm. The amenities were great and the staff was very friendly and provided superb service. This hotel is very close to the Schell's Brewing Company (approx. 2 miles away) which has very historical significance to the town of New Ulm. We will definitely stay there again!

My room was very neat and clean. The Staff are very pleasant and professional. They offer several amenities of which I did not have time to use in my short visit. I did use the morning breakfast which was wonderful with a generous selection.

Felt like Covid hangover from all staff, Just felt cold and kinda who care. No Minnesota nice here or maybe slot of Minnesota nice lol. Stained office chair was a big white stain ring on 30% of chair. Makes you question other cleaning and does not make for a comfortable stay. Cleaning staff could obviously see the stain and don't care or management doesn't inspect anything. Wort Best Western I've ever stayed at. So disappointing Something needs done there.

Very nice and friendly staff. Even though the hotel was full with tons of kids, once I closed my room door I never heard a thing. The restaurant was surprisingly good and had the best cocktails. Will be my go to hotel when I go back to New Ulm. Told the family who live there that they need to eat at the restaurant.

We stayed at the Best Western while attending a basketball tournament. The motel was completely full and the staff were always pleasant. The staff kept up with requests, cleaning, and stocking such things as towels and breakfast items. The motel was very clean and the breakfast was plentiful. If visiting New Ulm this is the place to stay!

The staff was extremely friendly and patient with an influx of people. The remodel is nice, and also nice to have dining options right there. With todays labor shortage it was so awesome to experience this staff.

The Green Mill restaurant service in this hotel was horrendous! Long wait time for drinks, food order, and staff was mostly not interested in making your experience a good one. Very young servers and hostesses who mostly wanted to hang out at the bar, even though there were dirty tables, and customers waiting for any kind of service. My husband eventually helped the lady next to us by reaching over and pouring her a beer because she had been waiting so long. This totally reflected on our stay at BW and doubt we'd ever return.

Great hotel, good service, clean rooms. All you need and could ask for. We always stay here and it never disappoints. Also, great to have the Green Mill restaurant attached. You never have to leave if you even get snowed in, and believe me, it's happened!

The hotel was nice, room clean, breakfast great - HOWEVER, our pool view room revealed a disgusting pool room cleaning observation. After mopping the pool room floor, they squeegeed all the mop water into the pool and hot tub.

Easy access, beautiful lobby with friendly staff and places to sit with your party. Green Mills restaurant attached to hotel (best old world style margarita pizza), great fitness center next to hot tub and pool, breakfast included. Beds were very comfortable with a variety of 4 pillows. Microwave and fridge. 24/7 coffee bar in lobby. We had a great stay.

Best Westerns typical breakfast (waffles, eggs, baked goods), but with a local twist on breakfast meat: kielbasa! Delicious! Very helpful, friendly staff. Only minor complaint was that the in-room fridge would knock during the night- sounding like someone was at the door.

Very nice hotel in New Ulm. The staff was nice and friendly. The pool and work out area were good. There is plenty of treadmills and bikes and 1 nautilus type lifting machine. On Friday night the hotel bar and grill were one of the only places open at 9:30 at night so that is a plus.

The Best Western was very clean, the staff was great, and the restaurant had a nice range of healthy and tasty foods. We were allowed to bring our dog - and the room was very quiet. I liked this motel a lot and appreciated the service staff.

The room was nearly twice as expensive as two nearby hotels. The accessible room had a slippery bathroom floor and I slipped badly as I tried to transfer from my wheelchair. The breakfast service closes at nine a.m. on weekdays as if people don't stay when on vacation.

We were very happy with our stay in this hotel. It is conveniently located near all the attractions in New Ulm. We were upgraded to a suite and the room was great. It was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The staff was very pleasant and helpful.

Stayed one night for a family funeral. Room was clean, staff overall was friendly and helpful. Rooms recently renovated and were just fine. Only minor complaint was we stopped at the bar to eat a late dinner and they closed 30 minutes earlier than time stated at check in and on our room keys. Had free breakfast in the morning. Only other thing to note. Signs were posted all over masks were required but their was no enforcement of this.

The Best Western New Ulm was terrific - clean, friendly and surprisingly large. The fitness center was nice; the pool looked inviting though we didn't try it. Overall a nice Minnesota experience in a really nice town. Breakfast was not so great but that was likely due to Covid restrictions. My wife and I would definitely go back.

The room we were In had two light switches by the door. One controlled a ceiling light and one controlled a wall sconce and bed side lights. Unfortunately, if you turned this switch off, no bed side lights. So choice was leave switch on and have sconce light on all night or no bed side lights. So I removed sconce light. Also, the room coffee makes was not clean. Breakfast was ok. Didn't use the pool.

This is a very nice, clean hotel with friendly staff. The pool, hot tub, and fitness center are great amenities! The restaurant at the hotel is very good also. The hotel's location is situated in a nice area.

The Best Western in New Ulm was a great stay for our family. Pool area was loved by the kids, and Green Mill attached was perfect for us. Great location and staff was wonderful. Will definitely stay again.

Cannot go wrong staying here, between the hotel and the restaurant they have everything. Couldn't be happier with our stay! Not only is the location ideal, being next to vital transportation routes, but is very close to the Brewery, and not far from other attractions. Definitely, the place to stay in town.

I called twice to talk about reserving 150 room/nights for June. Whomever answered the phone left me on hold for 5 minutes, then dropped the call. I called back and was given a number to call to speak to a manager. I called this number and got a fax machine! We build 15 to 20 convenience stores a year and usually stay at BW Hotels. This establishment needs to improve on their Front Desk Training.

I enjoy all of the factors of this hotel. From the management to each employee, you are always shown respect and a can do attitude. I really appreciate this environment. I think all Americans are so tired of Covid that we are all so happy that pools and hot tubs at hotels are once again open to the public. It is so great to be able to go into a restaurant and actually eat something....a really great mini vacation for the weekend...

I loved everything about this little town and the accommodations at Best Western were fantastic. Everything was so clean and everyone is so friendly! The exterior of the hotel is super charming as well. I can't wait to go back!

Check in was very efficient. Good social distancing rules in place. Lobby was very clean. The room was clean and nice sized. Bed was comfortable and room was quiet. We stayed two nights and there was no entry by housekeeping on the second day. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel, but also a number of places to eat within two blocks.

Our room was clean and comfortable, so no complaints there. Beds were very comfortable. The front desk staff, David, was excellent! Very friendly and professional. In spite of COVID-19 restrictions limiting their breakfast service at the time of our stay, they still offered to-go boxes of eggs, sausage, etc. The hotel is in a convenient location and easy to find, with reasonable nightly rates. We will probably stay here again in the future.

Lovely swimming pool. Sparkling clean. However, rooms do show their age and take a portable bedside light with you, if you like to read as you have to get up to switch off light. Staff friendly and helpful. Need to inform visitors that rooms will not be made up due to COVID.

Pretty much everything in one building and close to other attractions in the area. A bit difficult getting the room cleaned during this pandemic when you stay multiple nights but towels and ice were always available.

Nice hotel is fun to stay right by the pool. My Grandkids enjoyed the pool. it was clean and well kept up. Is very handy to have our room right by the pool Breakfast had a lot of choices, and good coffee.The bathrooms could use some updating, clean and friendly staff.

We were here during the covid 19 shut down so not many services available. The hotel is huge. The fireside suite was great. It is dated but very comfortable. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.

My family had traveled to New Ulm MN from Eagan MN for a basketball tournament. The morning of February 9th there was big storm with 6 to 8 inches of snow has fell overnight. My car got stuck trying to leave that morning. The maintenance guy name Roger was so helpful , he came outside in blizzard conditions without his coat to help me. I can't thank Roger enough for his excellent help. Thank you New Ulm for having caring staff like Roger.

Stay was good, clean room. Breakfast could have been stocked better and more efficiently, waffle mix was out by 9am. Pool can be slippery so tell your kids not to run between the pool and hot tub. Room was clean.

Service here was terrible, our group had an issue at the pool area that was handled extremely poor by staff, honestly we were blown away by the lack of caring by staff here. On top of that the rooms are pretty gross, not very clean. Our large group will be taking our money to another hotel if we return to New Ulm

We stayed here one night while traveling to visit relatives. It suited our needs. Kids enjoyed the pool. It was in ok shape. It was clean and that is important. Pool was a little cold but our kids didn't mind. Check in and out service was good.

When in New Ulm, this is the place to be. Rooms are clean and modern. The hotel overall is clean and has a comfortable feel to it. I love the Green Mill that is attached to the hotel. The food, drinks and service are great!

Location was Fine. Check in and check out went fine. Cleanliness was average. Nightly room rate was the highest I've ever paid- more than suites. Rooms were small. Not worth the cost. Breakfast was gross.

Honestly I have nothing good to stay about this place, When I stayed here it was for my daughters 13th birthday & we had to deal with drunk parents and their hockey kids banging on my room door all night! I called the front desk to report it and the guy acted like he could care less! The rooms are outdated all fashion look, I do have to say they did credit me some money back which I feel I shouldn't of had to pay at all with how horrible my stay was! I will NEVER stay here again!!

This was a great hotel that was easy to find. Parking was an issue. It was slippery in the parking lots so the overflow lot wasn't an option because of our age. Everything else was top of the line. The hotel was full because of a youth hockey tournament in New Ulm. This in no way interfered with service. etc..We will return.

We were in town for a hockey tournament in December 2019. We had our whole team poolside which was great because they had some room to mess around and we didn't have to worry too much about bothering the other guests. We enjoyed the stay. Top notch, cannot wait to stay for next years tournament!

The space, cleanliness, and breakfast make the Best Western the top motel choice in town! First of all, the desk space and the comfortable easy chair give you options and ease for your working needs. Secondly, the room itself, the bathroom, shower, sink, carpets, and counter space are all clean. Finally, to have several options at breakfast, from waffles to eggs to various breads, makes this an enjoyable stay.

The Best Western is a very clean, friendly, and accommodating hotel. The rooms are spacious, the breakfast it very good, and the staff is concerned about whatever you may need. It has a spacious pool and atrium area. Be sure you book well in advance of your stay as others know it is the best play to stay as well, so rooms fill up quickly, especially if there is an event for people to be in town.

I come to New Ulm for business several times a year and always stay here. Each staff member I've encountered has been incredibly friendly and helpful each and every time. Rooms are always very clean and comfortable!

Very friendly staff who went out of their way to welcome guests. The facility was very clean and room was very comfortable. This was my first time to stay in Best Western in some time, they have stepped up their game.

Room and hotel were clean, but the stairs going to second floor need to be replaced. Excellent breakfast area for meeting friends from a class reunion. The staff was very friendly, especially a girl named Grace when I called to make my reservation.

I have stayed at this hotel multiple times, always a good experience. This time I witnessed more exceptional service from the staff. I had a friend who experienced a wardrobe malfunction and the front desk provided string and a needle so he was able to fix the problem. Another guest was asking about events going on in town and the front desk clerk offered to make a photo copy of the events page for him. The staff is always awesome!

We recently stayed here when we had a wedding in town. The room was nice. The kids loved the pool area. They even have a small game area the kids liked. There was a wedding reception at the hotel but we didn't hear any noise from it. The We would stay again if we are in town.

We had a great stay here. It is in a good location. It is a short drive to everything in New Ulm, and there is an on-site restaurant and a grocery store across the street. The lobby is very nice, and the breakfast was very good. I've always liked the German look of the hotel. The best part is the excellent customer service. My only negative comment would be that the rooms are showing their age and need to be updated. We still were comfortable and would stay here again.

the positive experience began the minute I checked in. Great attitude, great service, very kind and helpful. I had business, my grandchildren were going to have fun swimming, overall excellent. The breakfast has a great variety and it was enjoyed by all. Great coffee and that is really important to me!!

We headed out of town for a little weekend getaway to visit the Schell's Brewery. The hotel is in a great location. Overall we were very pleased with our stay. Loved having the ability to pop into The Green Mill for dinner and drinks, and more drinks. Everything was great!

Best western plus was a great family place to stay. The pool and hot tub were great. The staff was wonderful. It was very nice to wake up and have a hot breakfast ready. The coffee was not the greatest, but they had a nice selection of teas.

Everything was wonderful. We had a clean and comfortable room. We enjoyed the free breakfast the next day. Check out time was later than the norm. Staff was very accommodating. Definitely will stay here again.

Do not stay at Best Western they are dirty and full of flies!! Will never use them again. Flies everywhere even in the restaurant and when eating breakfast. Interant was very slow. All my calls where being dropped

We got in late and were very excited that our room was on the first floor and far away from the party goers in a hall. It was 11:30. The room was good. Clean, and the bed was very comfortable and fluffy. Even though the air conditioner was on and set at 68 the room still seemed muggy. All in all it was a good night's stay. Breakfast was fully stocked and plenty of choices between waffles, eggs, cereal and breads. Juices and of course coffee.

Stayed here one night for business. Room was clean and tidy, with the exception of the large, squelchy wet spot by the desk. Clearly the management was aware of it as they had a dehumidifier running in the room. No smell, though and I just avoided the area. Bed was comfortable.

the hotel was full due to weddings and baseball tournaments but remarkably quiet. The eating area is not big enough for this hotel, especially when it is full. Food was pretty average, eggs had no taste. Door to our room wouldn't latch on it's own, had to push it to latch. Fairly nice pool area good for families and kids.

Great lounge, pool area, arcade for kids, easyo to get to off of main road. close to a few restaurants. room was clean, spacious. and bed were comfortable to sleep in. Plenty of space for breakfast in the morning, even with a wedding party there the night before.

If you find yourself in this part of Minnesota there is only one hotel to stay at and this is it. The fact that is has a fantastic restaurant attached to the property is a major bonus. Although an older style hotel with the center court pool the rooms are update date and comfortable.

We had a surprise 80th Birthday party for my Dad in Hanska and some of the family wanted to continue the party at the Best Western. Due to the holiday and a wedding the hotel was booked-I got the last 4 rooms-but the staff went way above and beyond to make everything work. We had roll always when needed and our rooms were all in the same area! Breakfast was amazing and a nice place to get together before checking out. We all had a great time. Thank you!

Great hotel!! Easy location for the sites we wanted to visit. The staff was friendly, hotel was clean, our room was excellent and breakfast was fresh and inviting. The food at Green Mill was excellent. Would stay there again!

We recently stayed at the Best Western New Ulm Minnesota. The staff is very friendly and the rooms were very clean. The beds were comfortable. We had our two Labrador Retrievers with us. They were very welcome at the Best Western which was one of our deciding factors in staying there. I would definitely stay there again.

The hotel was outstanding! Appearance was great. Staff was friendly. The room was well appointed and it had the best Best Western breakfast that we have every had. Plenty of items (both hot and cold) to choose from, every one prepared well and the hot items were hot. Made a reservation to come back in the fall to enjoy it again. Wonderful town to visit and we look forward to returning for the Octoberfest!

FLEAS??? We visited this hotel and the next-door neighbors dog was barking all night long... I was completely exhausted the next morning...... I highly encourage everyone to never go to this hotel it is the worst!!! The front desk really didn't even care that we were telling them about the dog... I did not feel like the management was even interested in our complaint... I wonder if I have flees...,

Nice stay, Friendly employees, room service was quick and courtious from the Green Mile resturant in the hotel. Food was great service was spot on. Washers and dryers worked perfectly. Check in was quick and plesent, checked out early and was no issue getting my receipt at departure,

Caring friendly people from the time we arrived til we left... Room was very clean with comfortable bed, older style bathroom, but very clean. Internet service was very good and easy to use, without interruptions.

Our large extended family stays in New Ulm once a year as a get together. This is the perfect place. The rooms were clean. They have a great breakfast with a lot of options. All the staff we encountered were extremely friendly. Would stay here again.

Was a great hotel to stay at with last minute reservation!! The pool area was great and clean. Breakfast was extremely frustrating to get in and out of the food area, small area with little room to move.

This hotel is great for any type of event that you are planning. They are always right there to help you and make any necessary changes. We have been using them for the past seven years to have our convention at and have never been disappointed. The food has been great, the hotel rooms are convenient and clean and the convention area is always ready and clean for us. I would highly recommend this facility for your event - meetings, conventions, weddings, etc.

We enjoy staying here at the Best Western in New Ulm whenever we visit to see our granddaughter. We always enjoy a comfortable bed, good breakfast and friendly, efficient staff. We expect to be visiting for many years as our grandson will also attend college here in a couple years and we will always choose Best Western for our stay.

The BW New Ulm looked liked a great place on the internet, but in the light of the real world not quite. The positive points: lots of parking. Ultra friendly staff who are knowledgeable about the town. A decent restaurant/bar attached to the facility. Clean rooms. Quite. Good mattresses and pillows. Pet friendly. Good breakfast. The needs improvement points: No guest facility book in the room. Called the front desk and was told they don't have the book that tells guests where the ice machines are located and when to check in and out, etc. No facial tissues in the room. One can always use toilet paper, but at their prices, Kleenex should be available. No hair dryer. Come on! Even mom and pop motels have hair dryers. Would we return? We will look for a less expensive motel that has the similar accouterments. If we can't find such a motel, then yes, I guess we have to go to the BW.

The hotel was clean, beds were comfy, pillows were too big. Most hotels nowadays have both soft and hard pillows which is nice. I used expedia to book the room and had the printout of the receipt. I had booked a poolside room with a king bed...turns out we weren't really poolside, we could see the pool from the sliding door but looked out to see a door and wall. There was a mixup somewhere! Big whirlpool, nice pool.

We were here for two nights in between the two weekends of Octemberfest, so avoided the crowds. Actually, place was nearly deserted! The building surrounds a huge center court with the pool and spa. We soaked in the spa and loved it, after being out in the cold all day at Flandrau Park.They had outside and inside extra seating and tables set up for apparently HUGE crowds. This must be a really hopping spot on weekends and during cold weather. Ground floor inner rooms open to poolside, (with 2nd floor inner rooms open to balcony over pool) so I expect families and groups flock here seeking a relief from winter.Our room, (271) was on outer ring away from pool was clean, had a pleasant smell. Only complaint is standard hotel water softener set to zero hardness, which leaves a slick feel after soap, and the place is so big, with wandering corridors and stairs, that it is a chore to find your way around. We ate once at the attached Green Mill restaurant, which was good. Elevators at two corners and guest laundry.

We stayed here for the second weekend of the Octoberfest. The hotel was really nice. The cost of the room included entrance to the events taking place at the conference center. There was shuttle service to Octoberfest activities which was very convenient. The room was clean and comfortable. Temperature was good. Nice shower. Plenty of towels. Quiet.

I was working on a business appt. and was starving. My family was staying there, I was late, they had ordered a to go dinner for me and IT WAS GREAT.....I was so hungry and it was the best ever...."thank you"

Stayed for two nights to celebrate an anniversary, the room was comfortable and clean, it was super hot and the air conditioning worked great. We had a pool side room and we could not hear the pool noise at all, very well insulated. This hotel is about a mile from Schells brewery so it is a totally doable walk if you plan on participating in the beer garden activities. The Green Mill attached is nice as well, lots of good beers on tap.

My friend and I spent Sunday and Monday night of Labor Day weekend for a short road trip. Unfortunately we didn't have time to get in the pool because it looked great. Breakfast was the deluxe version of what you'd usually expect with extra touches like whipped cream for the waffles. It was clean and quiet and the attached restaurant was exceptionally good.

I stayed 2 nights in one of the first floor pool side rooms over the Labor Day weekend with my boyfriend for a mini vacation. The room was clean, the appliances all worked, the shower was hot and had great water pressure. It appeared that there were concrete ceilings and we didn't hear a single peep from the folks above us. There was sufficient insulation between the pool and our room so we didn't hear kids playing or yelling, either, when we were trying to sleep. The hot tub and pool were well maintained. None of the arcade machines worked, however. They did have free fussball, would was fun to find. A Green Mill restaurant is attached to the property and was adequate when we stopped in to get a drink at the bar. We did not eat there. The hotel's breakfast was quite good and offered enough selection for everyone to find something they enjoyed. I typically stay only at Best Westerns since I'm a long-time employee of a property in the Cities, so I'm well versed in what the brand offers. This property met my expectations in every way except one. There were several wasp nests in the peak above door number 1 (I don't know if there were others on the other entrances as this one was the most convenient for us.) I have to carry two epipens in case of a sting, so it was a little scary with active nests less than 6' above the door. Both my bf and I reported the nests, but I'm fairly sure there was no maintenance staff on duty Saturday or Sunday due to the holiday. One other note, don't forget to lock your security locks and put out your Do Not Disturb sign when in your room. Twice while I was checked in a housekeeper either entered or attempted to enter my room. The first was right after arrival and a lady walked right in without a knock or word, she apologized and stated she didn't know anyone was checked in yet. Then on my departure date, housekeepers knocked at 8:45 to see if we had left yet.

This Best Western was a nice hotel with plenty of parking, nice breakfast service of hot and cold items and was resupplied frequently. There could have been more tables for the size of the hotel as some people were eating their breakfast on the sofa and chairs near the registration desk. The ice machines were not very convenient to our room on the 2nd floor (had to go down to pool area to get some) Swimming pool was big and there were numerous video games located near the pool. The room was spacious and very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Would definitely recommend

Nice hotel, large, clean grounds outside and in. Large rooms, clean. WiFi worked fine to log into work. Friendly staff at check in. Nice bathroom and shower. Attached restaurant and bar. Huge pool, hot tub area and arcade for family but did not use. No problems here. Quiet area, was able to go for an afternoon run on the roads behind the hotel.

You won't be disappointed if you're travelling through New Ulm a BB choose to stay At the Best Western +! Clean rooms, comfortable beds, restaurant/ bar had great food and our waitress was so friendly and helpful!

This hotel is very clean. The receptionist at the check in area was very efficient & welcoming. Our room was large and had every amenity you would need. The restaurant/bar was excellent. Great food and drinks (2 for 1). Our waitress was extremely friendly.

This was the old Holiday Inn and is now Best Western. It's popular, even with locals as it has a pool. Many local families come here in the winter, get a room and swim. Pool can be noisy. My room felt a little dark, but was comfortable. Rooms have microwaves and a fridge. There is plenty of free parking. There is a nice free breakfast. Best choice of lodging in New Ulm.

The hotel was clean all in all a great experience accept when at 8:30 in the AM housekeeping was pounding on our room door. Did not understand why because we were leaving that morning. By the time I got to the door they were gone. I did not appreciate the wake up call.

One of the best hotel stays of my life, if not the best. Helpful staff, clean and updated entire hotel. Excellent pool and hot tub. Attached to Green Mill restaurant so ya don't even have to leave the facility for food and drink. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet I had the oatmeal with an assortment of nuts, scrambled eggs with cheese and salsa, and sausages. The wife had eggs, biscuits and gravy, and a waffle. It was really good. Can not say enough good things. Nice history filled town to visit.

So, i love this hotel the food is great and the rooms are super clean. Every single staff member smiled at me and had a pleasant attitude from the bottom all the way to the top. A huge indoor pool and spa make this a great stay. The bar is awesome and the bar staff is simply fun to be around. Sometimes it just works right?

Lovely motel with updated decor and a warm atmosphere. The breakfast room was very comfortable and served a variety of quality breakfast items! Our king suite was extra spacious and a highlight was a 5 ft electric glowing fireplace—no heat for us but definite ambiance! The attached Green Mill was great for a nightcap with super bartender!

Stayed in rm 179 on 6/6/18 for 1 night at a rate of $144 booked online. I suggest maybe calling hotel direct for AAA/ARP discounts. Excellent customer service at check in. The lobby offered lemon water upon arrival. The lobby area was updated & clean. The carpets in the hallway to room & in room show age. However, there were no funky smells in hall. Room 179 was clean, no signs of bugs, no smells, & the beds were comfortable. Once inside room I didn't hear any hallway noise or noise from next room. Large pool & hot tub. However the jets from the hottub were not working this night. Another guest who had been staying there for 2 months said jets worked the night before. Breakfast stops at 9am here which is disappointing. Hotel has restaurant/bar attached. I ate at George's Fine Steaks & Spirts downtown. Excellent food/service. Owner is brilliant. All homemade food. Hotel is very close to Schell Brewery for tours. Hy-Vee & Hy-Vee liquor store across the parking lot from hotel making this hotel a convenient place to stay. The microtel is around $80 & it too 5 rooms to find one that didn't smell.

We stayed for one night over Memorial Day. The front desk staff was friendly and accommodating, the hotel was crowded with a baseball tournament in town. This is a good sized hotel with plenty of room for everyone. Our room was in great shape. There was a good morning breakfast too top it all off. Good hotel, would stay again.

My family and I had a noise issue with the initial room we were given(Our room was right next to the pool where there was a large group of kids from a sporting tournament and families congregating just outside our door). I went back to the front desk to request a new room if possible and the hotel GM Erin was there. She immediately said it was not a problem and then proceeded to personally escort my son and I to a few different rooms so we could choose the room that would work best for us. Erin also helped carry some of our belongings to the new room. We travel quite frequently and I don't think I have ever encountered a nicer more helpful hotel employee than Erin. I would definitely recommend this hotel based on her service alone. The room and hotel was also very clean and we had no issues during our stay.

family time at a wedding in New Ulm, and we were treated so special at this hotel! the green mill restaurant was superb and the hotel made our trip great. we enjoyed the pool, saw a wonderful park and the town was fun!

Had a very pleasant stay in New Ulm. Hotel has a traditional over motel set up. Maybe an old Holidome. Room was clean and very nice. Strong wifi always a plus. Lots of TV channels for the early to bed types. Bed was comfortable and I like a separate sheet from comforter. Bit of the old hotel smell near the pool late in the day but nothing in room. Really nice bar and restaurant was a plus. Breakfast was everything you would want from a free adder.

Your trip to New Ulm will not be complete unless you stay here. The Green Mill restaurant on site is also a must for food and Happy Hour! The service across all levels during my stay was beyond expectations.

I have stayed here multiple times, as I did again on this trip. They never cease to make my stay a great one! From check in to check out, they want you to be satisfied with your stay. There was no hassle on check in, they knew I was coming and greted me professionally. Instant check out, leave keys in room, is great as well!

We stayed at best western plus on a Friday night with our basketball team. We enjoy this tournament because we found this hotel is a fun place for our kids. Our middle schoolers really enjoyed the pool area and the breakfast! There are a few arcade games and a lobby area they could use. It was our second stay and would go again. Very convenient for larger groups, many rooms have doors to the pool area.

We stayed here on a Saturday night in January. Everything went well. Staff was good and they had an area where we could play games on Sat night. Very nice room and bed. Breakfast on Sunday morning was very good, many choices. Next time we will have to try out the pool. Also close to Schells brewery. Oh, there is a Green Mill restaurant and bar attached.

The staff went out of their way to help us out with any of our needs including last minute changes. We were very happy with how everything was handled and our next conference/convention will be held here along with training and board meetings.

We traveled to New Ulm for a hockey tournament. The hotel had several hockey teams staying the weekend. They were VERY accommodating and even gave the "rowdy hockey boys" several areas to hang out and play floor hockey. Rooms were clean, breakfast was good. The pool area was very nice. Merrick, the asst. manager was very nice and went out of his way. Our group joked that he must live at the hotel because he was there past midnight and we'd see him at breakfast at 6:30am the next morning.

Interesting motel with an unusual layout. Large meeting rooms and open areas where the visiting hockey players liked to gather. The rooms are small and fairly packed with furniture but the beds are wonderful and the 'fridge and microwave are a definite plus when traveling with family. The poolside rooms open out to the indoor pool area (big!) with lots of tables, chairs, a large hot tub, swimming pool, and areas where a crockpot or snack table can be set up right outside the room. This is a great place for housing the teams. I was in a handicap room which was fine except the shower would only point to the wall. It didn't matter how many times it was adjusted, it went to the wall. Luckily, I was NOT in a wheelchair!

Staff at the Best Western Plus New Ulm do a great job of trying their best to make your stay in New Ulm a comfortable and restful experience. If you request a quiet room, away from the pool, you will get just what you need.

The Best Western in New Ulm, Minnesota has an awesome team, great hotel, comfortable accommodations! I stay there on a regular basis and am welcomed every time by the same smiling faces who take care of me as if I were walking into their home. Great place!

This is a very modern well kept property. Merrick and all his staff are just wonderful and willing to do the extra things to make this your home away from home. I would recommend this hotel to everyone and I will be back again.

We stayed at this hotel for a family gathering for Christmas, and I was very happy with it. Nice rooms, and good breakfast options. We stayed here for only one night, so we didn't get to swim in the pool, but I recommend this hotel.

Best Western, New Ulm, took us in last year when another local hotel's room was very, very unacceptable. The reservation at this other hotel was wrong...we got a smoking room. BW found a small, but perfectly acceptable room for us on short notice. The next night we were upgraded to a larger room. Since then, we will only stay at BW. Super helpful each and every time.

We had a wonderful stay at this BW Plus Hotel. The restaurant serves a great brunch as well. It was a very convenient location to get to and from our activities during our stay in New Ulm. Very pleased.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and breakfast selection was good. We would have rated the overall experience excellent but we requested a pool view room expecting the pool area would be closed at 11 pm. Much our dismay on Sunday morning there were still noise until after 2am. We recommend requesting a room not close to the pool area as this is a great hotel with very friendly staff.

A night in a different town, checking out small town bars and back to the hotel! The Best Western in New Ulm, MN has been our best stay ever! Room was perfect, clean, comfortable! Bathroom was the cleanest ever, no soap scum and slippery tub as we experienced in the Country Inn and Suites in Oakdale. We would definately come back for a night out in the town yo New Ulm, MN. Friendly town people too!

The New Ulm BW is our favorite place to stay while visiting relatives. Comfortable bed, quiet room, indoor pool and hot soaker, very good breakfast spread, friendly staff, excellent location, fair price.

The hotel offers a friendly and professional staff and the property is well maintained. Includes a complimentary breakfast which is always good. A connected restaurant is convenient and very good. I've stayed at this property a number of times and never had a bad experience.

Staff was quick and seemed to enjoy making our stay easy and comfortable! I enjoyed all of the amenities and never felt I was putting anybody out by asking for help. Our conference/meeting went smooth and the space we had was suitable for our needs. Great job staff!

We stayed here for a night as we were passing through town. The hotel was nice, the breakfast area, bar area, workout area and wifi all worked great. Plus we happened to be here on the night they had a live band down in the restaurant, nice bonuse. Really happy with our choice to stay here!

THE STAFF!!!! We have traveled across the state several times this year and previous years, staying in 6-10 hotels each year, and never have we received such disregard for guest satisfaction. We stayed at the Best Western in New Ulm over MEA break, along with several other families who had children with them. Upon check-in on Thursday evening, we were NOT informed that breakfast would be closed at 9am. At least four other families who were at breakfast also said that they were NOT told that breakfast would be ending earlier on Friday than on the weekend. Thankfully, we were down for breakfast by 8:30am Friday morning. However, we waited and waited and waited for the hot breakfast items to be refilled, only for that to never happen. Our children were only able to get waffles, without all of the toppings because they too hadn't been refilled, and yogurt. Besides this, the lady who was working breakfast (Pam or Cam was her name, short brown hair, thin, late 40's-50's possibly in age) was incredibly rude!!!! The way she talked to, GLARED at and treated the guests what completely rigid and cold. While guests had just come down for breakfast at 9 am (because they too were not informed of the early closing) the doors were actually shut on them while they were in the breakfast area. When they asked the aforementioned employee about breakfast, her response was snarly. The guests became offended and the entire dining area began talking about the employee. While my 4-YEAR-OLD SON was picking up his trash and bringing them in to throw them away, she actually LOCKED the door on him so he could not go back in to the TRASH CAN. A small child who was just trying to pick up his mess like we have taught him to do. Several tables just left their messes to be cleaned up because they could not get in to throw them away in the trash, either, after being locked out and treated so poorly. All the while, the lady who was working the front desk made her way back into the breakfast room to serve herself up some pastries. While guests were waiting at the front desk and while other guests were being completely denied their breakfast. This is ABSURD!!!! The only, ONLY, positive experience we received at this stay was from a lady named Candy. She brought us extra shampoo, conditioner and towels and was incredibly sweet, kind-hearted, and made our horrible morning turn into a wonderful day. Without even being asked, she took it upon herself to bring us extra pool towels and also left us such a nice note under our door for when we returned. This is how every experience should be!!! Thank you so much to Candy for making us feel welcomed at this establishment and for treating us with respect, rather than an inconvenience!!! We greatly appreciate Candy and would love for her to be recognized for her character! We will not be visiting this establishment again. We are a hockey family and stay over night in the area frequently. Rather, we will be making the drive to Mankato for our lodging. Which, is really unfortunate because the hotel was aesthetically pleasing, the rooms were sufficient and the pool area was great for our family's needs. I am not only shocked by our experience, but incredibly disappointed and will be quite vocal about how we, and all of the other guests staying over MEA break, were treated.

There are very few choices if you're staying in New Ulm, but this place was fine. The room was clean fairly well-appointed. The bed was way too soft for my comfort -- I couldn't decide if it was meant to be mushy or was just worn, but it wasn't my cup of tea. The room was kind of dark -- no natural light since the "window" was actually a sliding glass door leading to the indoor pool. Breakfast was pretty typical, right down to the malted waffles. If I were in the area again, I'd probably stay here, but this hotel wouldn't draw me back to the area.

Nice hotel, off the beaten path so it is quiet, but good access to town and all the sights. We went to New Ulm for the Octoberfest activities and this hotel fit right in. Nice pool and Hot Tub. Did not eat he breakfast but used the eating area. It was very nice.

We had a very nice room next to the pool area. It was quiet. Wonderful breakfast with a good variety of choices. Great entertainment which was included in the cost of the room. We have booked a room for next year for Octoberfest

I enjoy staying at Best Western in New Ulm MInnesota when I am in town there. The staff people are always friendly, and professional, and helpful, and efficient. The recently updated decor is pleasant.

Hotel was very nice, staff for the most part great. But was overcharged for the room. Had a gift card, instead of giving credit was charged for the gift card amount, almost doubling what I was supposed to pay. Train your front line staff.

I have stayed at this Best Western before and it has always been a good experience. The remodel they have done has made it an even nicer place to stay. The staff is always nice and helpful. The attached Green Mill is always busy and serves great food.

An amazing weekend with friends celebrating Oktoberfest. At this Best Western, we could have stayed the whole time and never left this hotel. This was my 3rd stay at the New Ulm Best Western, and looking forward to returning next year in October.

I recently stayed at Best Western New Ulm, MN for a business trip and enjoyed my stay! From check-in to check out, the staff was friendly, smiling and very helpful. The room was clean, freshly appointed and very comfortable. I highly recommend Best Western New Ulm for an outstanding lodging experience.

For many years we went to their Octoberfest celebration. But the last two years we went to a different town and hotel. The New Ulm one was just getting boring. Nothing new was ever added or changed. They used to have acts driectly from Germany but that ended years ago. So we tried another venue at Ruttgers in Deerwood, Mn.. It was much more expensive but we enjoyed it alot. We heard that New Ulm upgraded their Octoberfest so we decided to try coming back to New Ulm. We are very glad we did. It was great. The Hotel is so very much better. They have a very large pool and large hot tub All the staff were very pleasant and nice and really wanted us to enjoy our stay. And we did. Everything was upgraded with lots of new furniture. The included breakfast was very good--lots of choices One thing was that they could have used more than one waffle maker and pancake maker--we had to stand in slow lines. Really clean--new paint. And a great new restaurant and bar. The program for the Fest was perfect. We loved it. And we will be back again next year.

I was pleased that the staff was ready for us at check in. It was the quickest check in at a hotel I can remember. Our room was nice and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding. Lots of items to choose from. Décor is nice and hotel is clean.

Great accommodations, amenities, and staff. Has a terrific restaurant attached. The breakfast included with the stay is first class. My room was huge and had a table and chairs, desk, couch and large bed and there was still space left!

Excellent staff that went out of their way to help us, and fantastic pool and whirlpool. Good location and highly recommend the brewery tour at Shell's Brewery. Downtown has excellent restaurants that specialize in German cuisine, all within a short distance from this hotel.

It was a Thursday night that we stayed at the hotel and we were offered a special price on our room with two double beds. Front desk person was very helpful and professional on checkin. Beads were comfortable and we had a quiet night. Breakfast was very good. I had the eggs in the form of an omelette and it was quite good. There was a nice variety to choose from.

We were on a special diet and never expected that we would be supplied a salt and pepper shaker 0R a can opener, but we asked and they produced them in short order. I went to the front desk when an ice machine did not work and the man said to go to my room and he would personally bring me some. What an enjoyable experience. Thanks to all who made it so!

Very clean, staff was extremely helpful...over and above. We would recommend this hotel to those expecting quality accommodations. Staff went out of their way to make our stay pleasant and memorable. Easy access to parking and ample signage telling us where certain areas were no matter where we were at.

We had stayed at this hotel in the past and were pleasantly surprised to find that it was no longer the dark, dreary place we remembered. Everything from rooms, lobby, restaurant and bar were bright and welcoming. The staff was very nice and we enjoyed the stay. Will definitely will stay here the next time we are in the New Ulm area.

My extended family all stayed here for my dad's funeral and the facilities were perfect for our large group. Many common areas as well as poolside where we could gather. The breakfast and dining area are worth mentioning as it had the best variety and large layout which is very comfortable. The food was excellent. The rooms are large and clean. The pool and whirlpool are well maintained. The rates are very reasonable considering all the amenities.

We enjoyed our stay at the New Ulm, Mn. Everyone was very kind and helpful and our service was excellent. We will consider being there again as it was outstanding in every way. We used the facilities at the Green Mill restaurant, sleeping room, hospitality area and banquet area. It was very clean and comfortable.

Ask hotel if they are hosting a wedding reception with music the night of your stay!!!! Music blared until midnight. Thru two sets of doors!! When asked how our stay was at check out, I explained that we had used A LOT of points to stay there. Would have stayed elsewhere had we known about the wedding reception music! Gal looked at me and said I was all set. No points given back!! Rooms were clean and beds comfy. Beware of slippery tub once soaped up!

The room was clean and we had a view on the swimming pool from inside our room. This is very convenient if the children want to swim and you just want to watch them. The children loved the swimming pool. The breakfast was good. You get value for your money.

We had never been to New Ulm before and I wanted to take my wife some place new for her birthday. I decided on New Ulm for all it's historic value and little did I know that we would find such a great place to stay while we were in town! Everything was perfect during our visit; from a great full menu complimentary breakfast in a comfortable dining area with TV's and a fireplace, to a very large pool and hot tub space to unwind at the end of exploring the area every day. I would go back to New Ulm just to stay at this hotel!

The exterior was very welcoming and easily accessible. Our room was a king bed suite and I must say that the bathroom was a great surprise because of the size of it - wow - talk about roomy. Took time to use the hot tub and pool area which were nice and located in the center of the building. Overall a very nice place to stay and the staff make it better.

I recommend staying here!! The rooms are excellent and the staff is even better!! They are very accommodating and go the extra mile to make sure your stay is the best it possibly can be!! The Green Mill restaurant is exception food and service!! Highly recommend both if you are in the area. When I'm doing business in Mankato, I still stay in the Best Western in New Ulm!!!

Everything here is very neat, clean and comfortable. The breakfast area was crowded during our stay, however the food selection was great, real ham slices to accompany the fluffy scrambled eggs. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend staying here.

I look for 2 things when staying at a hotel. They are cleanliness and quietness for sleeping. Our room was very clean, and the breakfast was excellent. We had trouble sleeping since there was a baseball team hanging out at three tables near our room. It was fine earlier when they were playing games and running around but some adults were still there quite late so we did not get a good night sleep. I don't know why they didn't hang out by the lobby or their rooms. Please encourage teams to be respectful of all in the hotel.

We had an exceptionally good experience with this hotel during a weekend baseball tournament. The hotel facilities are wonderful: large indoor pool area, large lobby with lots of different seating for hanging out in the evening, a good breakfast and comfortable rooms with a refrigerator and microwave, and laundry facilities They even provide free 8 pound bags of ice at the desk to fill up your coolers! The only thing that could be better is if the double beds were queen size instead of full for people staying with their family in one room. The Green Mill Restaurant is attached to hotel which is also great. Overall a terrific experience and highly recommended.

Every staff member is great. Every part of it is great. Even the restaurant and bar. Honestly better than the Hilton garden inn, in Mankato. I really believe there is not another hotel within 50 miles that comes close to how well this best western plus is ran. There are not a lot of choices in New Ulm, but it doesn't stop them from going above and beyond of what you would expect. I don't know how exactly the star rating works for hotels, but this hotel should have at least 4 if not 5. Not sure why it's only ranked with 3 stars on this site. Maybe because it isn't in New York, with gold staircases and snobby people etc.. Didn't get to the pool and hot tub, but looks awesome. Even a game area. Breakfast is finominal! Coffee isn't bad. Not much more to say, other than thank you, to all at this BWP, and special thanks to Amber. I really enjoyed my stay.

I really enjoyed this area for visiting. I however was sick the whole time we were there with stomach issues. The bathroom and room seemed extremely clean. I however felt like for how empty the hotel was - why do they put all the people together in the same area of the hotel. I woke up to a dog barking and frankly did not appreciate it. I rarely get to sleep in so when I do I would appreciate the chance to. Thanks for the kind hospitality!

Visiting friends and there really is no other hotel in town. Closest hotels are in Mankato. The staff at this hotel were so nice, friendly and hard working. Merrick at the front desk was incredibly nice and helpful. We stayed on July 21-July 23, 2017 and the weekend facilties/maintenance staff member (not sure of his name) was very nice and working constantly. There was no one lazy at this property. Breakfast was very good. Hot oatmeal, waffle and pancake maker, eggs, meat and all the typical items. One note would be for the kitchen staff or someone to clean off tables during breakfast. Crumbs are one thing but syrup, miik, etc are another. The hotel has had recent renovations and is well kept and you can tell the staff take pride in this hotel. Huge hot tub and great area around the pool for families to gather. Great attached restaurant - The Green Mill.

The staff works hard to provide a comfortable home away from home stay. You can ask for a poolside room to enjoy easy access to the large pool and hot tub. A small game room is also in the pool atrium. Combine clean, comfy rooms with fun amenities, fresh iced lemon water in the lobby, delicious, full, free breakfast, lovely banquet facilities and an attached full service Green Mill restaurant and bar for a fabulous get away whether one night or a week. Lots to do nearby in town too!

The hotel is very easy to find and is in a good location. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel and a couple of fast food places close by. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very friendly and cheerful desk clerk who had us checked in very quickly, which was a great way to start our stay. Our room was very clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable and pillows were great. Breakfast buffet had lots to choose from. We would definitely stay here again.

Everything was great at the hotel. It was very clean and the staff were very friendly and professional. We ate ate the restaurant as well food and service was awesome I would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area!

It didn't start out well because our toilet didn't work. After we changed rooms everything went well the room was big and comfortable. The breakfast was great too. The front desk was accomodatiang too

Husband and I stayed here in New Ulm at this hotel for 5 days in June, while visiting our son. Perks include: free drink voucher each day at the Green Mill, free newspaper, free coffee in lobby. Polite and friendly staff, safe, clean and comfortable rooms. Guest laundry on our floor was great. Quiet location even though the hotel was maxed each night. Near New Ulm tourist attractions. I have only praise for this Best Western!

This hotel was comfortable and clean. There is a Green Mill restaurant attached to the hotel and a Hy-Vee grocery store next door. Attractions were a short driving distance from our hotel. Because we stayed at this hotel midway during our Minnesota vacation, we were also pleased that the hotel had laundry facilities for guests. While there were gluten-free options at breakfast, including individually-packaged Chex cereal, it would have been a plus to have a gluten-free bread, upon request. Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful during our stay.

Some friends and I stayed here for a wedding. The hotel staff was very friendly, the hotel was very clean and had a great location. It was nice to have the Green Mill restaurant attached. I would stay here again.

Great family atomosphere, helpful and polite staff. Green Mill restaurant attached was a big bonus. Pool, and pool area very spacious. Double beds are a little on the small side, would've preferred two queens. All in all great family hotel.

We had an excellent stay at this facility. They were able to tell us about local offerings and were more than helpful when we wanted to extend our stay an additional night. The motel was close to downtown and conveniently located and easy to find. The only downside was the construction in front of the building.

This hotel is the nicest and cleanest in New Ulm. The renovations are great. The rooms aren't large or modren, but they serve their purpose. There is a decent indoor pool and large restaurant with bar.

Marrick was dynamic at the front desk - he seemed to genuinely care about our stay and what we needed. Service with a smile and all of our meets were exceeded! The outside of this building seems dated, but the inside was fabulous!

This is the first hotel I have stayed at that has offered Gluten Free options for the Continental Breakfast and living with Celiacs Disease, I have often struggled to find ANYTHING to safely eat. This hotel had a multitude of options for me! Scrambled eggs, sausage, a yogurt bar, fruit and cereal. It was amazing!

When we arrived late on Tuesday evening we were greeted with a smile, which was much appreciated after being on the road for over 10 hours. When we arrived in our room, it was the first time I did not have to turn down the temp as it was actually comfortable, On Wednesday we went down for breakfast and there was Keilabassa, which we have not seen at a hotel prior to this one. The staff was very friendly, answered all of our questions.

We were really pleased with our experience here this past weekend. We booked a room with a double bed and were upgraded to a king room for free when we checked in. I know this doesn't happen often, but it's always a nice surprise! The hotel and rooms are all updated and clean, and the attached Green Mill restaurant is a good option for food and drinks. We will definitely stay here again.

Overall good experience. They worked well to accommodate multiple room reservations and clear up some misunderstandings on them. Breakfast was good but the bakery was a disappointment. Freezer flavor, I'm pretty fussy about my doughnuts.

Super pleased with all aspects of this property -- easy to get to; friendly and professional staff; best complimentary breakfast I've ever experienced; comfortable bed; fast internet (free); quiet room; full-service restaurant on site, open late. Was working long days on a photo shoot while there -- the Best Western Plus was a pleasure to come back to each day. Highly recommend.

We have stayed at this hotel many times. Best Western has put a lot of money into renovating. The lobby is beautiful. There is a large selection of food for breakfast with plenty of seating. The pool area is large, clean and in good condition. The rooms are updated and lovely. Our favorite feature of this hotel is the mattresses - they are so comfortable! We usually don't sleep well in hotels but at the BWP in New Ulm we have a hard time waking up!

A really good option! Is even better than any other big hotel chain. You can go with no fear, the quality of the room is extraordinary, and the service provided is top. No complains at all regarding this hotel chain - I stayed several times in the Best Western hotels.

I stayed at the BW for a night with my daughter and two of her friends and we had a delightful time. We were warmly greeted, our room was lovely, the beds were VERY comfortable, and the pool area is the best around. We also enjoyed a delicious meal at the Green Mill next door, the only issue we had there was a long wait for silverware, but to be fair, the place was exceptionally busy and it was 10:30pm. One server mentioned that it was unusual to have it be that busy so late at night. It all worked out just fine. The breakfast in the morning was a pleasure and we will definitely be back if we find ourselves staying over in New Ulm again!

This was a sharp looking property. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was you typical breakfast for a chain. The pool was very nice. There was no chlorine smell in the air and it was a comfortable temperature. My only complaint about the entire stay was that the hot tub jets were loud. When that is the worst part about your stay, I would say you have found yourself a great hotel. I will be staying here again. There is a Green Mill pizza place and bar connected to the hotel. The deep dish pizza is excellent. It is also right next door to a Hyvee grocery store to pick up some food for your stay. I would say this is the best hotel to stay at when visiting New Ulm.

The rooms could be updated. The staff was nice. Strong cleaner smell in my room, nice beds.breakfast was good. Great to have the Green Mill next door. I have stayed there and the staff is great. I will use this spot again. Best in town.

We stayed 4/22/17. Just one night. The place was busy with prom and wedding reception. But the staff was prompt and very accommodating to our last minute needs. Our room was quiet even though the hotel was full. The beds were nice/comfortable, the room was clean and lots of pillows ! It was a nice stay and I would stay there again.

The newly remodeled Best Western in New Ulm, MN is a great option for a smaller town stay. Connected to the Green Mill restaurant give you a great option for dinner/breakfast. The rooms are very clean and the location is right off the main road in town. I would highly recommend for individuals or families.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel for my parents 40th wedding anniversary. We reserved the Shell Room to have the party. Taylor in Sales & Catering was so nice and wonderful to work with. Actually, each staff member we encountered was very friendly and helpful. We had poolside rooms which was nice as the kids used the pool a lot. The continental breakfast was good. We enjoyed our stay.

I was able to use some BW bonus points for this hotel. Usually the cost for the hotel is a bit more than I would normally pay, so the points allowed me to get a very nice room. The hotel is a somewhat traditional BW design with the rooms looped around the swimming pool and recreation area. The room was very comfortable and relatively quiet.

The staff was wonderful, as was the room. I was extremely impressed with all of the choices for breakfast as well, including almond milk being available. My husband and I would definitely stay here again in the future!

I don't know where to start... reading many of the other reviews on this site, it's great to see how many 5 star ratings were given to this establishment. It's well deserved. We've been coming to this particular hotel for 6 years for basketball tournaments in the area. It's a busy place to be. This year is BY FAR the BEST year we've ever had. Every staff member is happy to assist with any request we threw at them and with a smile on their face. We didn't feel like an inconvenience. We dealt with Merrick many times this year and I hope this man is compensated appropriately for his excellent customer service. He definitely found his calling. Our group was looking for a place to set up supper so everyone could eat together and every available location in the hotel was being used. We inquired on another location within the hotel, and they stepped up to the plate. An open area was found and the staff brought in tables and chairs. After eating they took care of cleaning up the area, even during the prime busy time of the night. The breakfast is hot and staff was constantly replenishing items, making sure there was plenty to eat. The rooms are clean and towels, along with hot water, were never lacking. The pool area is clean and cool. Our poolside room, it was quiet and dark, considering it was a poolside room. The decor is updated and pleasant. Highly recommend this Best Western!

The renovations at this hotel are amazing. Merrick at the front desk took GREAT care of our group, especially helping my mom who can be really difficult, but all the staff were really patient and kind. We're definitely coming back!

A work conference brought me here and it was a great stay. We were here in the middle of the week from a Wednesday to a Friday. Having the conference here for three days and staying the night for 2. The conference space was spacious and very nice. And the rooms were also very nice. It was a great stay for what we needed it for. The staff I would say were the best of the whole stay. They were very nice friendly and very respectable. We have a louder bunch of people for our conference and they went with the flow, put up with us, and even gave us some cheery responses back. I will for sure be recommended this hotel to anyone who comes to this area for work or pleasure. Very impressed with our stay.

Nice hotel. Updated since it was the Holiday Inn. Breakfast is lame and overcrowded. Big corner room which is quite comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay over Oktoberfest! Will be back next year. Thanks!

There was not very much FEST in the Octoberfest weekend with half of the music venue of previous years, if you did not care for one band you could go to the other. The tent was new but the music loud and for the younger crowd.

My wife and I spent a night here on our way back to the Twin Cities. Everything was in great condition and the staff was friendly and helpful. We decided to eat our supper at the Green Mill that was located inside the building. The food was good. They also offered a free breakfast that was one of the best we have had so far. This hotel wasn't the cheapest in town, but at a moderate price it was well worth it.

Nice clean friendly hotel. The attached restaurant had good food and service. Used to be Holiday Inn, but has now changed to BW. The AAA book said BW, our un-updated GPS said Holiday Inn for directions to a hotel.

This is a very good hotel that is a bit more expensive. It is a case of "you get what you pay for" and the beds are more comfortable and the breakfast is always great. Just be aware of this when stopping here. It has accommodations for large meetings and large groups and therefore more expensive.

Had the opportunity to visit New Ulm, MN for a great weekend of relaxation and fun. Stayed at the Best Western Plus which has a great front desk staff and a fun meeting area poolside for informal meeting time with larger groups of friends and family. The rooms are quiet and the furnishings are comfortable and nice without being over the top. The air conditioning and heat worked perfect as the days can get warm and the nights cool. Also the restaurant/bar attached to the hotel is great also. The whole city has a lot to offer all ages. Do not miss the brewery tour, Flandreau state park, the downtown (architecture) and Herman the German...

I require a room that is mobility accessibility with a roll-in shower and this hotel is one of the best in this area. The rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. Outer doors into the registration areas and Green Mill restaurant are double sliding. They do have an elevator which can handle a mobility scooter, power or manual wheelchair. The doors into the hallways from the registration are heavy and difficult to open;however staff was very helpful and held door. The desk chair has no arms which would help when transferring. The shower is exceptional. Large, well lit, and a very generous bath bench..room for me and soaps, etc., and well-positioned grab bars. Breakfast area can be a little tricky to maneuver. Green Mill restaurant is good with plenty of room to accommodate mobility device.

We had a very positive experience both times we've visited (3 years ago and again recently). Their service is great, the food is wonderful and the rooms are just right! We stayed here and also attended a wedding reception recently - it was fabulous. We will be returning !

I stayed at the Best Western Plus in New Ulm for three nights during a reunion of the college football team. While this hotel has been around for awhile and isn't as new as nearby hotels, I found the room clean, the bed comfortable and the shower hot. In addition, since I stayed in an interior room overlooking the pool, there was no noise from outside to disrupt one's sleep during the night. The hotel does provide a continental breakfast similar to others I have experienced at Best Western hotels. I actually walked next door to the Hy-Vee grocery store for breakfast two of the mornings...they have a deli seating area and serve a great breakfast starting at 5am. The on-site restaurant has good food and a full bar. During my stay, I ate lunch outside on the patio...very relaxing. Great spot to socialize if you want to drink without having to worry about driving.

This is a larger hotel for the area. It was convenient to stay here so we could access two towns that New Ulm is kinda in the middle of. You could tell that the hotel has been around for awhile but they have made some modern updates to keep it relatively nice. It has a indoor courtyard pool, meeting space, a restaurant with a bar, and seemingly plenty of room. There were several events going on but it was not loud at all. I appreciated the front desk staff having a list of local restaurants with some recommendations. We ended up going to George's and it was fantastic! Will stay here again if I am back in the area.

The hotel is very clean, the beds are comfortable. The staff is helpful & friendly. The restaurant has excellent food, and great selection of brews. The breakfast is ok as a continental buffet. I would definitely stay there again in the future. I have not had a problem & I have stayed there about two dozen times in the past year.

While we had to wait until the 3PM check in for our room to be ready, The wait was worth it. Clean, well organized, and quiet. We enjoyed our room was across a hell from the pool, so we could go there, but not have the noise that a pool usually creates. The breakfast, was well organized, plenty of space for service and table/seat for eating. I was please with the professionalism, and when my wife expressed her housekeeping experience knocking our door since there was no "Do Not Disturb" sign, the front desk advised they would credit our charges $25 for the inconvenience . Very professional and appreciated.

Recently changed from Holiday Inn to Best Western. Nice place to stay but rates are pretty high compared to other hotels in the area. I can not justify the added expense. A little shopping around can save you $$$$.

My family of 4 stated one night. I had modest expectations for a BW in a rural town. Hotel is well maintained and updated in key areas. Large pool area and arcade was nice for all of us to enjoy. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast area looks updated, and it was very clean and organized, with a nice selection of breakfast fare. Having the Green Mill restaurant attached to the hotel was great also. The price of a room isn't cheap so the overall value is probably about right. Nevertheless, I was pleased.

We stayed here because it was the site of a wedding reception we were attending. It proved to be the perfect choice. This is a large property with numerous amenities. The layout is not obvious, so it took us a day or so to figure out all the shortcuts. My only complaint is that a small tag in the bathroom encouraged us to reuse towels and wash cloths to help conserve water, but that was not possible because there were no racks on which to hang wet items. Clean towels and cloths were rolled up and placed in a wooden organizer on the wall -- a clever idea for fresh linens but not suitable for anything wet. Four or five wall racks would have solved the problem (including what to do with wet swimsuits). The only substitute (the rod for the shower curtain) was not up to the task.

Overall our experience at this hotel was good. The rooms look up to date. The hallways look very dated. Lobby is very clean and welcoming. Beds were comfortable. Green mill attached for food was very good. Only downfall was the reception area for weddings got noisy into the evenings. Be better if it was separated and rooms weren't so close. Overall I would recommend this hotel to stay in New Ulm.

My family and I stayed here one night. The hotel is old, but it has been remodeled as much as possible. We ended up with an adjoining room with a door to our neighbor's room. Sound insulation is poor and the room must have formerly been a smoking room as there was a very strong air freshener scent. The pool was really cold, but the pool area is nice. We had a pool facing room and the sliding door to the pool area was very worn out and did not always lock properly. The frame was also almost coming out of the wall. The breakfast was OK, the eggs were nastier than the typical hotel breakfast egg. We did not find any of the staff we interacted with to be particularly friendly or hospitable and will likely not return if in the area again. The hotel was clean, but the breakfast area had many fruit flies. Not a horrible hotel by any means, but I see no reason to return.

First time out in New Ulm and ended up in the area for a wedding. Was very surprised to by the hotel being the area is so rural I was not expecting much. The place was extremely clean, the included breakfast was pretty good with more options than I was expecting, they even had biscuits and gravy. The room was clean and all nice stuff in it, the only partial downside is the room we got was a little small, but not that big of a deal and the mattress was a little firm for my tastesl. I would stay here again if in New Ulm.

We stayed at the Best Western Plus in New Ulm for a wedding. The room was nice and that have a neat layout with the rooms all facing the indoor pool. We didn't swim but many people did and it's a great attraction to this hotel. Having the inside Windows point to the inside pool you get a darker room for sleeping late which is nice. The rate was kind of height for a Beat Western but it is one of the nicest hotels in New Ulm.

We recently stayed with a group of friends for Bavarian Blast. The updates that have been completed since this property became a Best Western Plus have enhanced this property. The staff was attentive and the morning breakfast was ample. Nice reception area in the front lobby. The rooms and public areas were very clean. Would definitely recommend when visiting New Ulm.

I remember this place years ago when it was a Holiday Inn. The Best Western make over kept with the German theme and for the most part rooms were neat and clean and the service was fine-not something to write home about. The service in the Green Mill bar was great and the servers were very attentive and friendly. The biggest complaint, and not only from me but others traveling in our group, was the humidity level in the rooms. Felt just plain damp, even with the AC cranked. So much so that it felt like the sheets were damp which made for less than a great night's sleep. The breakfast was the usual fare-not really how it is described in their in-house advertisements.

The regional or state Little League championships teams were staying her during our visit. The kids and their siblings were blowing off steam in the pool, yelling and screaming until 11PM when the pool closed. Parents were nowhere to be found and staff was reluctant to police the level of activity. The hotel has a major design flaw. The pool is in the middle of the hotel and many rooms face the pool on two floors. There is no escaping the noise and the humidity for that matter. I did receive a major financial credit from the morning management. There is no way I would ever stay here again.

I stayed at this hotel for a baseball tournament. The service from the employees was great. The pool area was awesome. The lobby and breakfast area was great too. The food was not good and the carpets in the hotel were not clean.

New Ulm, MN is a charming town. The Best Western Plus was charming, as well. Exterior decor blended with the city feeling. We took advantage of the pool and were refreshed after our long drive. The beds are super comfy! We dined at Veigel's Kaiserhoff and enjoyed a delicious German dinner. German kraut and red cabbage were outstanding!

We have stayed here multiple times. The hotel is clean & inviting with a fairly good complimentary breakfast. The staff has always been helpful, polite & professional. Beds have been comfortable. Plenty of space for visiting outside of guest rooms which makes it a great place for family gatherings and groups.

Rate was $130 for one night and I can stay in a metro area for quite a bit less with same amenities. Breakfast was only OK as eggs tasted like sausage and was pre-formed circles. Butter was too cold to even melt a bit on a fresh waffle.

I have stayed in low and high end hotels. This was an excellent middle of the road hotel. Very clean! Staff was very nice and helpful. Rooms very very nice....and clean! Updated. Loved the fridge and microwave in the rooms. Fitness Center very nice however, there needs to be directions on the treadmill. I consider myself somewhat savvy with equipment but I couldn't for the life of me get the treadmill going so I used all of the other equipment, which is very cared for. Great hotel!

The room & service was great. Bartender Nathan in the Green Mill was superb. Servers were prompt and courtesy. Enjoyed our stay. We had a very spacious king room, clean & comfotable. Front desk staff polite & helpful.

It was a very enjoyable stay. The staff was very efficient and polite. I don't usually stay at best westerns but after this stay would consider a Best Western Plus again. The rooms were nice and clean (we were in a pet room as we brought a dog with us) and there was no indication of the previous pet which because of allergies is important. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tub areas were very clean and relaxing. We will be back if we come through there again.

My family stayed at this Best Western in November 2015 while in town for a wedding. Our family of 5 (2 adults, 3 kids) stayed in a double queen room on the second floor that overlooked the pool area. The room was clean & comfortable. The beds were listed as queen size, but felt much more like a full size. The bathroom was nice & the shower had great water pressure. The pool was great. The kids really enjoyed their swim time going back and forth between the pool and hot tub. The pool space felt very open and comfortable -- not stuffy, mildew-y and gross like some hotel pools! And there was a nice fitness center off the pool area that both my husband and I took advantage of. The equipment was newer and nice. The breakfast provided by the hotel was good. It's what you would normally expect from a hotel breakfast bar. They did provide hot food, which was nice. The kids loved all the yummy baked goods offered, too. The service was great & everyone was friendly. We would absolutely stay there again.

Th enigth staff at the hotel was rude and refused to let our group meet in the space we had rented after 10:00 p.m. The meeting room was far away from guest rooms and the noise we were making was minimum. At one point she stated that all "common areas" closed at 10:00 and if we continued to break the rules she would be forced to cal the police.

Very nice hotel for the price. We appreciated the wonderful service - polite and friendly. We liked the pet friendly room which was clean and odor free. Comfort beds, nice breakfast and located to a good restaurant. We will return.

I have stayed at the Best Western in New Ulm about a dozen times. I haven't had a bad experience them yet. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The Green Mill which is attached has excellent food, and the help their is excellent.

I loved the upgrades they've done with their recent remodel. However, it was April at the front desk with the smile and amazing customer service that makes us want to come back. Thanks for fixing an inconvenient issue with our room! Breakfast is also delicious and satisfying with angel food cupcakes as a perk.

While visiting the New Ulm area for my mother's funeral, we decided to stay in New Ulm instead of driving back to the Cities. The reservation clerk was very helpful and offered us the funeral rate when she found out the purpose of our visit. The room was very spacious and clean.

Warm and Friendly Staff...make you feel at home. Great value for a small town. Breakfast and lobby area make it worth the stay. If you rather have breakfast at a restaurant they have one too. Rooms were quiet and made sleeping better.

This hotel with the connected Green Mill restaurant is a great place for a family with a nice pool and whirlpool. The rooms are nice and clean. The morning breakfast is ok, the scrambled eggs were a bit over done probably because they were sitting too long in the covered warming pan. I would consider the room rate to just on the + side of what I would normally pay for this type of room with the services provided.

We had a great stay at the Best Western in New Ulm. The staff was extremely nice and helpful during our stay. The room was extremely clean and the beds were every comfortable. Continental breakfast was hot and fresh. We were very please with the facility and the staff and will stay there again when we are in the area.

New Ulm is always a pretty and fun town to visit. We always stay at the Best Western with the nice pool area and restaurant. The breakfast is also helpful staying with the kids. We always enjoy staying there.

I have stayed here about 4 times and will be going back. The service by the staff is all good, and Green Mill has great food. There breakfast buffet is ok, but there is a good variety of items to eat. The rooms are very nice & clean, and beds are comfortable. I will stay anytime I am in New Ulm.

I was here for one night for a basketball tournament and spent very little time in the room or hotel. While I was there found the room to be VERY spacious and clean. The hotel is conveniently located close to the downtown area, the brewery and Martin Luther.

My husband, myself and our 8# dog stayed at the Best Western Plus in New Ulm for the first time Dec 15, 16, 17, 2015. It was a very enjoyable mini vacation. The hotel is very warm and inviting. The room was nicely decorated with all items clean and in good working order. We had a pool side room which was handy for using the pool, hot tub and work out facilities. The conference rooms were very nice for the business part of our stay and the rest of the hotel was excellent. Breakfast was good, coffee pot was always on, the bed was comfortable and there was plenty of green space to take the dog out and run. The hotel is close to many convenient stores but far enough away from main street to not hear traffic rumbling through at night. I would recommend this hotel to family, friends, and strangers.

Room was clean w/ comfortable beds and updated bathroom. Breakfast was good. Housekeeping knocked on the door at 0830 to ask if we "needed anything", which apparently meant "Do you want your room cleaned?" With a sleeping baby present, it was not appreciated. When we asked to have the room cleaned later in the morning, we were told that we had said we didn't "need anything" and they were not expecting to have to clean our room. They did do a good job with the cleaning.

Nice clean room. We opted for a pool view room. Won't do that again. When there's kids and families having a good time in the pool area you hear it all. Hot tub is plenty big and clean but is a poor design. It is very noisy. Breakfast was about par for a hotel breakfast. Nothing fancy or anything to write home about. Very prompt in cleaning rooms. Went down for a 9am breakfast and when we got back to our room it was already cleaned. All in all a nice hotel. We'd stay here again.

Great trip to New Ulm to visit the Schell's Brewery. Hotel located in good location to brewery and downtown. Nice hotel and great to have Green Mill attached. Nice pool area. Busy place. Nice town. Will come back.

Perfect hotel for our girls weekend. We enjoyed sitting around the pool watching everyone swim. The hot tub was nice and hot!!! The breakfast was wonderful with plenty of choices. The rooms were perfect! Thank you to all the staff!!! We will be back!

The rooms are very spacious, clean and quiet. The beds were sooo very comfortable and the staff was very friendly! If you don't mind paying a higher cost, this would be the place to stay! It was great to have a nice restaurant attached to the hotel!

We enjoyed the rooms, bed and complimentary breakfast. We enjoyed visiting with other people at the hotel also. Great service and very helpful with locations and places to go. We had a problem with the bathroom facilities and they were quick to respond and helped us moved to another great room in the hotel late at night.

Very happy with the hotel, but thought it was a bit pricey considering it is located in a small town in MN. Room was nice, staff was excellent and appreciated how they enforced the quiet hours. We had a pool side room & at 11, it was as if someone flipped a switch & was immediately silent out there. Stepped on a couple of Fruit Loops in the room (we don't eat Fruit Loops) so thinking maybe the vacuuming could have been a bit more thorough, but otherwise the room was spotless & had a wonderful time.

Wow, what an improvement over the old Holiday Inn! The rooms are still a little on the small side but very clean with fridge, microwave,coffee. Very nice free breakfast served off lobby with a fireplace. Really impressed with the new "pre-function" area for the hall. The attached Green Mill restaurant was great. They have a fabulous large outdoor patio with fireplace that was very enjoyable. They even filled all the potholes in the parking lot! There's not much to choose from in New Ulm, but this would be our choice from now on. One negative: As we are standing at the front desk to check in, we are told the pool is closed for 2 days of our 4 day stay. I realize maintenance must be done, etc. but this pool was closed the last time we stayed here! The indoor pool is large and very nice. It would not have made me change my reservation, but I don't like surprises at check-in. How about an e-mail sent out to me beforehand apologizing in advance and offering me some sort of a coupon at the restaurant or $10 off my next stay or ??? 5 stars without the surprise pool closure...

Nice clean room, comfortable bed, good restaurant with reliably good food, good value for money. Breakfast is provided and has a good variety of choices including a cheese omelet which was quite good. Hotel has been recently renovated and is greatly improved. The staff is very good as well.

Room was quiet and nicely decorated; bed was comfy.It's located a couple of miles from downtown, but there was shopping and restaurants nearby. Nice for couples, singles or family get away's; would consider going back.

Location, location, location! Right in the center of the action. Just to be in New Ulm, we probably would have stayed anywhere (vs driving from Mankato again), but wow, what a hotel. Many updates, beautiful rooms (furniture, floor coverings, linens & over all décor). Full (hot) breakfast, served late! As nice as this hotel was, we found the staff "even better" than the facility. They went above and beyond to welcome us. We felt like our business truly mattered. We felt like they really were concerned with us having a good time. The hotel was VERY clean wand well taken care of. Oktoberfest is a very important event in New Ulm, and one of the prior mentioned items could have been lacking & we would have had fun, however they were on-the-mark in all areas. What an outstanding hotel!

Our stay at the Best Western Plus in New Ulm was a pleasant experience. At check in we were served by a capable, friendly employee who handled our request to change from a two-queen room to a king room quickly and cheerfully. The room itself was comfortable and clean. The furnishing were above average and in good repair. There were extra outlets on the nightstands, including USB outlets, so there was room for plenty of devices. The attached restaurant is a Green Mill, a regional chain of Italian-ish restaurants. The food was good; we shared an order of pan-fried walleye fish and a quite spicy deep-dish pizza. Service was very friendly and attentive, although the server never did bother to refill my iced tea. One small issue in the room was that one of the bedside lamps was plugged in to a switched outlet, so that when one turned off the room lights by the door, the lamp (and its outlets) switched off also. Breakfast was in a clean, well-decorated area. The service on the hot items was delayed for some reason, but they did appear and consisted of sausage patties and egg rounds. There were lots of condiments available to spice up the offerings. We would definitely stay at this hotel again when in New Ulm.

Had a great time during the Oktoberfest celebration at the hotel very good entertainment along with good German food. The restaurant, Green Mill had excellent food at a reasonable price. We would stay at this nicely located hotel again!

The price is very reasonable, the place is clean and the staff and employees are extremely friendly! They make you happy that you chose their hotel!! It was our first visit to New Ulm, Minnesota, and when we return--we will stay again at the Best Western Plus Hotel in New Ulm!

Wonderful place to stay while taking in the sites in New Ulm, Minnesota. Everything was great! Have stayed at this hotel in the past when it was a Holiday Inn and it has been totally upgraded as a Best Western. A most pleasant experience and very restful stay with no complications. We plan to visit again and often. The rest of the family will also.

First time I have stayed since the remodel. Room was very nice. Clean and comfortable. Staff was extremely friendly!!! Special thanks to April who fulfilled our request for an early check in so we could change before the wedding. Great customer service!!!!
