Best Western Plus Mission City Lodge

My recent stay at Best western plus lodge left much to be desired. Despite my initial anticipation, several aspects of my experience fell short of expectations. To start, I booked my room via phone due to the inability to use my work app to specify a crucial request: a room on the top floor facing the highway, necessary for my business needs. Understandably, this request came with a higher rate, which I accepted without hesitation. Upon arrival, however, I was met with confusion at the reception desk. Despite my prior arrangement, there was no record of my request, leaving me perplexed and disappointed. To make matters worse, rectifying the situation came with an unexpected cost—an additional $15 fee to upgrade to the desired room. This was deeply frustrating. Not only had I already agreed to a higher rate for my original booking based on the requested room, but I was now being asked to pay even more for what I had already paid for. Though the receptionist waived the upgrade fee after witnessing my dismay, my dissatisfaction persisted. The lack of communication and the subsequent attempt to charge me extra tarnished the experience significantly. Furthermore, the state of the amenities in the room added to my disappointment. The shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel were all depleted, with no replacements provided. While I appreciate the gesture of not charging the extra fee, I must express my overall dissatisfaction with the level of service at this location. Such oversights and discrepancies marred what could have been a pleasant stay.

I stayed in the honeymoon suite. I loved the antique furniture espcially the bed. It has beautiful craftsmanship and is quite unique. It has a great balcony and a 55" smart tv. It also has a fireplace.

I checked into the suite with the King sized bed and jacuzzi. There were 2 tvs, two fireplaces and two bathrooms. There was also French doors separating the living room from the bedroom. The rooms were spotless and the staff were amazing. Top notch customer service.

Check in always super quick and helpful, love the hot tub and the convenience of the resturant. All the close by ammendies is great. This is my number one place to stay, and is always my go too. Look forward to my next visit.

I hate Best Western in Mission B.C because it is old and the service sucks. The towels smelt of fresh body odour and the quality was cheap. I wouldn't use this towel on my worst enemy. The hotel smells like someone died in it.

The staff was super friendly, the ladies in the breakfast room are amazing, nice, large rooms, great food in the breakfast bar and restaurant. Convenient location, close to all the shopping areas in Mission.

Room was clean. Staff were helpful. I would stay again. The breakfast could have had more choices like fresh muffins and yogurt. Maybe keep the trays out front so you don't waste time looking for them. They do have them they are in the back so you have to ask for one..

Always reserved months in advance to get the room we want. This time she says it doesn't matter that we reserved it gave us a room with ice machine right below us vibration was felt on the floor noise horrible we haves stayed here every summer for the last 10 years drove 9 hrs to get no sleep

The restaurant was excellent with great food and outstanding service. Breakfast in the morning was very nice with lots to chose from. Rooms were clean and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel if you are in the area.

This hotel in Mission is very nice. The beds were very comftorable and the room was very clean. The receptionist was very friendly and the restaurant and breakfast had very good food. The pool and hot tub was also very relaxing.0

Always friendly staff kids love the pool was great to be able to have our puppy and a outside suit ready to go in and out for the dog. Breakfast was really good and a great selection of fruit muffins waffles eggs sausage was impressed.. thank you

We booked this hotel last minute and we're so glad we stayed there. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was great, lots of options! The only down fall was that Uber did not come out to the location of this hotel so we had to call a taxi instead.

The price for this room was disgusting considering the condition. The smoke detector was barely hanging onto the ceiling. There were no screens on the window. An old rotten piece of wood was holding the window closed as the locks did not work. The mattress had a piece of plywood or something under it which hit you right in the middle of your back when you layed down. The tile on the floor was missing grout & up to 1/4 inch in some places. The phamplets that are usually on the table were not there but there was a big laminated sign that talked about Carbon Monoxide Poisoning, You had to got outside & down three doors to get back in the eat breakfast which did not work well in the rain or can't image having to get fully dressed with coat & boots in the winter to have breakfast. The closet had a curtain as a door (lol) maybe in 1960 this would have been fine but not in 2023. The staff did not off us a wifi password nor did they offer on where to park. The smell they were pumping into the room was obviously covering up the smell of the mold or something we saw in the window frame & was burning my hostels. BEST WESTERN PLUS should be ashamed of calling this a PLUS hotel.

I spent 4 nights in the king suite with jacuzzi (2 rooms the size of an apartment, each with a fridge, coffee set up, full bathroom, TV, and fireplace). Full balcony with view of Mt. Baker was a great treat for morning coffee, and can be accessed from either room. It was very clean, the bed and pillows were comfortable, and cleaning staff were on top of everything. The included breakfast is a cafe like room with 2-3 staff to keep it running, including muffins, fruit, waffle-maker with toppings, yoghurt with parfait toppings, and hot breakfast items (scrambled eggs and sausage). I used the fitness centre, which wasn't large, but well-equipped - ball, pulley weights, treadmill, etc. Restaurant on site is large and has a nice heated balcony. There's also a Starbucks, Blenz, convenience store, and grocery very close by.

great hotel with a pool and hottub and an awesome breakfast. pool and hot tub right next to the lobby. breakfast room was accessed outside the lobby, but only a couple dozen steps from the front door of the lobby.

Traveled for medical and stayed 5 nights. Very happy with our room. We stayed in the new section on the upper floor roadside. The rooms are very nice and bed was super comfortable. We loved the hvac which is in each room. It was quite warm and the ac worked perfectly and kept the room cool. We were not bothered at all by the road noise and traffic was steady. It was not noisy at all. Very easy to access our room from the parking lot out front and parking was not an issue there is plenty of space. Even when the hotel was busy we had lots of room. Housekeeping was great and did a great job and were friendly and helpful. Front desk was as well. We will definitely stay again. I cant comment on the breakfast as we did not use this service. The internet was great.

Room was clean and comfy. However I am 78 yrs old, partially handicapped and walk with a cane and a limp, which was obvious to the clerk at check in. She could not have given me a room farther away from a handicap parking spot, OR from the entrance from the parking lot. I did not complain cuz I am no whiner, but I won't be back. Oh and one more thing.. am I the only one who hates the “pillow top” mattress?

The cons: The room had horribly uncomfortable beds and the room smelled like cigarettes. The shower had no pressure and the love seat was disgustingly dirty. Definitely way over priced. The room we had was pet friendly (awe brought our 2lb dog), but there was an additional 25$ per night charge for the dog that we were unaware of. The pros: Staff were friendly, easy to book on short notice and close to amenities (specifically the hospital which is why we needed to stay).

Our room was nice and clean. Breakfast was really good with great ladies running it - new pancake machine was a bonus! Would stay again. The heat was hard to control so room was quite hot even though we had it turned right down.

Have stayed many times over the years, our go to place in the Mission area. Convenient to what we need, can be a bit noisy from traffic on the front side but very quite on the back side. Excellent and friendly staff. Place can be very busy most of the year, but see they are expanding. Great beds

Planned our anniversary and we were looking for somewhere to stay to celebrate as we do every year. I always try to stay at Best Western because everyone is so helpful and kind. Everything was perfect and we will be coming back again!

Poor breakfast choices. Noisy children in the hallways late at night. Extended our stay from 4 nights to 5 nights only to find room key was disabled and had to pay for the night before getting a new key. Very high damage deposit. Due to the length of stay I wasn't allowed a room at the back instead had to take a room at the front with major highway noise. Save the frustration and look elsewhere.

We stay at this BW every time we come to town. The rooms are clean and the location is perfect for us- lots of places to shop and eat. The restaurant is great and the breakfast is a perfect addition to the stay

I had a pet friendly room on the third floor. Room smelled like urine and the bedding also stunk. As well, I had an extremely upset stomach after eating scrambled eggs at the breakfast buffet. The location is very good, central mission and there is a nice view. There was a back entrance so made it easy for me to come and go.

Good hotel with fair amenities, close to restaurants and shopping. Breakfast service is great and Scratch restaurant is good as well. Good location for our business trip and we were able to be on the main road quickly and complete all our business.

Did not fulfill preference, as per pre-register email (so don't waste your time filling it out) even though was available. Room light non-functioning and still checked us into the room. Changed room not thoroughly cleaned and found pair of socks under bed.

we stayed for 2 nights in August! Nice location, easy access to Abbotsford where we attended a geocaching event! Great breakfast with 2 very nice Ladies that took care of the Breakfast room! Thanks for a great start of our mornings! Room was clean and easy access to the front and back parking! The COVID signs at the Hotel are a little outdated! Everything was great and we will stay here again!

The hotel is very clean. My room was a good size. The service team was very friendly and helpful. Parking was ample and ice was close by. It was easy to get in and out with shopping close by. Breakfast every morning was nice.

Nice indoor pool and hot tub. Really friendly ladies at breakfast. Eggs and sausage served on request at counter. Cold cereal, toast, yogurt. Glad the road is rarely traveled at night, because the noise came right through the door. Construction fence has cut down available parking, so I had to walk over 100-150 meters to my car each day. Not bad, but not impressive in the old rooms. Restaurant looked nice, but didn't eat there.

They have a pool but it is used for swimming lessons for people not staying there. Noisy and crowded with kids not even staying at the hotel. So hot tub experience not so great either. Restaurant was closed the whole time we where their as well.

Best Western is the best place to stay. You get quality for a reasonable price. Clean spacious rooms. Friendly staff. My stays are usually for business so I spend most of my down time relaxing in my room. It is always a quiet and comfortable stay. Love Best Western.

Room was overpriced for being so outdated and not overly nice for an executive suite. Other hotels had nicer rooms for the same price nearby. I spent the next night at a different hotel at a nearby location

Breakfast didn't have any fruit or healthier options the rooms were musty smelling and loud from the traffic I stayed on the main floor. Also the hot tub was horrible not even worth going in and way too small to accommodate all the people wanting to go in.

While checking in I was asked to sign and initial in a couple of places, one those locations was to indicate that it was a non smoking room and there was no smoking allowed in the room or on the balcony, this is not a problem as I do not smoke. After check in I went up to the room to check it out prior to taking up my luggage this is something that I always do. Upon entering the room I could smell a distinct Oder of cigarette smoke so I looked around the room and discovered that the smell was coming from the washroom. After this I returned to the checking counter to mention this and see if I could be moved to another room. The staff at the checking counter were very friendly and apologized for this and looked to see if any other rooms were available, unfortunately the hotel was fully booked and they were not able to move me to another room. Since I had a Memorial service to attend the next day I figured one night living with the cigarette smell should be ok. I decided to leave the fan on in the washroom and close the door this helped a bit to keep the smell from getting worse the sleeping area but you were able to hear the sound of the fan all night long. The bed in this room was a king size bed however I think it had been used a lot and was very lumpy and uncomfortable so I had a hard time getting any sleep, probably only got 1-2 hours of sleep. The washroom looked like it had a new tub and tub surround installed with 3or 4 rows of tile installed from the top of the tub surround to the ceiling, however they forgot to caulk between the surround and the and ceiling to tile so there were gaps that moisture coulg get in this will eventually be a problem. My sister was in another room down the hall and she mentioned that her tv and her wifi in the room did not, the staff were helpful in resolving this issue but it took a few hours before they had it working, they did this while we were having supper in the attached restaurant. In the restaurant I found the food to be ok but overpriced, their special was a steak for 58 dollars not sure how big this was, I opted for their steak sandwich and fries, the steak sandwich had a horseradish aeoli on it this might be great for some but I found it to be overpowering for a steak, both mine and my sisters steak (we asked for medium rare) were more on the rare side, this was fine for me but a bit undercooked for my sister. The waitress and other staff members we talked to were all courteous and helpful.

Stayed here for a week in April. I cannot say enough good things about this Hotel and the Staff. There was a bit of a mix up with my original reservation upon arriving but it was quickly sorted out. Front desk Staff were so kind, caring and helpful. We ended up getting a wonderful suite on the top floor. It was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Loved sitting on the balcony and just watching the traffic go by. Very peaceful and quiet stay. There is a Starbucks across from the Hotel and a great restaurant in house so did not have to travel far for good food and beverages. I loved the location, everything was easy to get to. This was my first stay and I will be back. Thank you Staff you made our stay extra special.

I stayed at this location due to it's proximity to events I had going on with my child. Upon entering we noticed the room wasn't cleaned thoroughly- there was long dark hairs in my sons bed. We over looked this as it could have been from housekeeping. The end of our first full day there, we both had a shower and went to go eat. When we returned there was an overwhelming smell of cat urine in our room. I mentioned this to the night auditor and was advised we'd have to make due as they were full to capacity. We called around and there was no other hotel available in all of Mission. We went to bed and the next morning we left our patio door open to try to air out our room. Little did we know that it was going to rain ALL DAY LONG and the smell was even worse from the moisture in the air. When we checked out, we let the new desk clerk know and he offered us a discounted rate for the night. Looking at my invoice he discounted a mere 20$ off each night stay. Considering not only our clothing and my sons sports gear wreak of cat pee, so does our actual luggage. Which I'm now going to have to just replace. I understand you can't control who brings pets in the back, but there is absolutely no way this went unnoticed it was so bad.

Nice hotel, seperate restaraunt/lounge. Easily accessible as is on Hwy 7. Close to other eateries and shopping. Rooms on the hiway side will experience road noise but gets quiet later in the evening. Very firm beds though!

Front desk staff very friendly & responded quickly. Clean, pretty quiet room neighbors. I would stay here again. • Due to Covid guidelines, Housekeeping was never seen. You need a car to get around Mission, everything is spread out.

Very disappointed with hotel staff and customer service....and breakfast was just O., Room with a view was great but room service had to be requested a couple of times and front desk was not friendly about the request. Shampoo and body wash was empty and was not checked during room service This BW does not represent BW very well at all...other BW provide great service to their guests.

Probably one of the best places I've stayed at for their price! Very friendly staff and super clean rooms! Going to be my go-to from now on! Room was spacious and clean, view was great! Can't beat this place!

After a long road trip we booked this hotel last minute to rest our heads for the night and could not have been happier. Nick at the front desk was wonderful, the rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet. The morning breakfast exceeded expectations, especially the wonderful lady that works there. Overall a wonderful experience. Unfortunately it was just a stopover for us, but we both said we wish we could have stayed a little longer!

We have stayed at the Best Western Mission City Lodge many times and have always had a great experience! Great service / clean rooms / great restaurant. We especially enjoy the jacuzzi room and find it is great value for the size and amenities in the room. Definitely recommend this great hotel!

My stay would have been a complete disaster because of so many things being badly handled...but an angel came along in the form of James from Security Mission BW...he a credit to your company and please make sure he knows and it with thanks from me

This hotel is easy to find, lots of parking. Check-in was quick and efficient and I got my room early. Room was well equipped. Loved the shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispensers in the shower. None of those little bottles of stuff that just end up in a landfill. My room was very quiet and the bed was very comfortable. Would stay there again.

The hotel is Quite a safe place to stay. We were very relaxed with our surroundings . All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Restaurant is excellent with a wide range of items to choose from. There is a good sized pool and hot tub. Free internet and free parking.

The first time in 2012, dog ticks in bedding two nights in a row. (I showed them one of my kills.) This time (2021) BW+Mission upped their game. Dr. Google confirmed characteristic bites of Cimex lectularius on both arms and legs two nights after my stay. Office manager blew me off: ‘we have a program in place'. General manager first admitted my room hadn't been fully checked recently but later said pest control claimed room was clean. Not surprised by the denial. I know to never stay here again.

I checked late at night, they have someone 24hrs at front desk, the lady was very pleasant. She got everything done within minutes. Very relaxing stay, no disturbance, room was clean, good temperature.

We have stayed here many times. The staff are always friendly. They have pet friendly rooms which we have used with our dog. The only thing I didn't like was that the cost has gone up since our last stay.

BW Mission was just fine. I called the American number to book, and was shocked by the intricacies of the system. I could NOT change my reservation . I ended up with two rooms for one person. From now on I will only call the hotel directly.

Well im most of the time positive, but this time it was not good. The hotel is old and need to be renovate, but if i look at the construction site at the moment, they are building new. Its just very very old. The "place" to have breakfast can only take 12 people, so we had to wait outside in the rain to get some breakfast. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were old and need to be renovated, so its not worth the money. Its also on the highway, so there is a lot of traffic, but windows closed and it is quiet.

We spent 2 nights in this hotel. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The best part of this stay was the two ladies in the Breakfast Room. They were pleasant, cheerful and helpful. They made sure you got everything you needed to have a good breakfast while making you feel safe while in that room. They were constantly cleaning the tables and counters after every guest use.

We stayed for 3 nights and got a total of 10 hours sleep because it was so noisy. People were banging on doors and yelling in the hallway and stomping around in the room above us. We weren't informed that we needed to request housekeeping to clean our room and when they did, they only changed the towels and soap and emptied the garbage. The bed was left unmade so obviously they didn't change the sheets and they didn't even vacuum. We've stayed in hundreds of hotel rooms and this was by far one of the worst. So disappointed for a Best Western.

We were busting our daughter who recently moved here and needed a place to stay for a week. Everything was great and the staff very helpful. The hotel is located a few minutes from stores of every kind and is easy to use as a base to explore the area. We would stay here again.

3 rd stay at this hotel, pleased with the check in and out and rooms are clean Parking can be difficult at times there was a mixup with my room that was given to someone else as I entered the room ( very embarrassing situation)

We have stayed at this hotel on and off since it first opened. The location is great. It is located next to Mission Hospital and is off the Lougheed. Many amenities are located nearby. Starbucks is a quick walk across the street. There are grocery stores, and many restaurants with minutes away. The hotel is currently adding a wing of rooms on to its location. Our room was excellent. The bathroom was clean but you could see the ceiling in the shower needed some repair work to it. Other than that, it served as a great place to stay the night while we visited family in the area.

Upon arriving at rear of Hotel - There was a Homeless person with half a house load of items and a very Large PitPull that growled at us. Upon arriving at the Reception we were advised that our Reserved 2 Queen Room was not available due to room damage the night before; were given another room with a Queen size bed and pull out couch. Only room available. We enquired about the Homeless person and were told he was waiting for a Taxi. A Taxi would not be able to take all his stuff. When we opened the door to the Room it was over 85 degrees. The A/C was set at 60; but was not working. Got a refund. A woman who was living there said that a Truck and RV were stolen from the back lot last week. Very undesirable.

Showed up to the hotel around 2pm, noticed that there was no shade from the blistering sun. I had perishables in the car so had to pack them all up and take them with me as I walked around to the front of the building. Once there with all my gear, I asked the clerk if I could get a room facing the back, as I was a light sleeper and the traffic noise was horrendous. The clerk was late 40-ish, unfit, and dismissive. Nope, sorry, no rooms available in the back. I declined to stay there if they could not accommodate (I wouldn't be able to sleep a wink otherwise), and I sensed that she was not altogether truthful. She said in a rather snotty tone: "Byyyyyyye. Have a nice daaaaaay!" I went for a meal then decided to try once again at 3:30pm. This time I noticed more junkers in the back parking lot (one with insurance that expired April 5, 2021 - and it was June 20th), and men riding children's BMX bicycles, circling vehicles in the lot. I reluctantly left all my gear in the car this time, as one of these junkers pulled up beside me, all four occupants glaring at me as if I had taken their spot or something, with the driver mouthing words to me. They all got out (with their Pit Bull), went to the trunk with large garbage bags (laundry, I later figured out), and went inside the back entrance. Having no card key yet, I had to walk to the front again, given that there was no parking. The disingenuous clerk was now replaced by a younger, more amicable young woman - who stated that she understood how loud the traffic was and that yes, I could have a room facing the back, even on the top floor if desired. Hm. Interesting. So the older 'lady' was playing games, obviously. Perhaps my appearance and/or attire did not suit her lofty standards? Or was it some other reason? Who knows. Going to my room I noticed a peculiar odor in the hallway. It was later that night I discovered it was the smell of *rugs being consumed in and out of the hotel. I had lost/misplaced my phone so used the room phone on desk. Did not work. Tried the other one on the nightstand. Didn't work. Checked the wires/plugs. Nothing. Went to the lobby, had to wait 5 minutes or so for someone to arrive. The 'manager' peers out from a door and eavesdrops. I found this disconcerting. If he wants to address my issue then do so - don't stand there like a dolt looking for gossip. He (the 'manager') suggested he come to my room to check the wires. He did this with a peculiar smirk on his face and so I declined the 'offer' and said I had already checked the wiring. He said to check the main wire into the wall. So I went back up the stairs (4th floor), down the smelly hallway, checked the main outlet, checked the phones, then went back down to the lobby to wait and then explain it all again. By now I was sweating and getting very annoyed. I had calls I had to make before 4 pm and the inconvenience this hotel was causing me would make me miss the calls. I expressed this aloud, and he (the 'manager') was having a chit-chat with someone nearby. He 'overheard' (seems to have a knack for that, curiously) and chirped up, stating I could use the lobby phone. I did. Dialed, and it said "Long distance calls are not allowed". I had to call an office in Port Coquitlam before they closed. Now I had to wait for him to finish his chit-chat. By this time I was quite incensed. He sensed this and avoided me, while the girl at the desk said I could go to a cleaned room to make the calls. I did so, but with mere seconds to spare. Now I could commence with going to my room to unpack, put stuff away, and try and relax. First things first, I had to do laundry. I had to once again go down to the lobby to ask where the laundry was (I can't call the front desk as the phones in my room don't work). I went to the laundry room on the second floor (what a 'Plus'!) and saw it was a whopping one washing machine and one dryer - for the entire 'hotel'. Both were full of clothes, and it remained this way each and every hour till I went to bed, then again at 4am when woken up by the riff-raff squealing tires and talking too loud below my window. When I went to the laundry room, 'someone' had just put in another load, and the 'bouquet' there was very, very strong. I can assure you it was not the fabric softener I whiffed. Back in my room I decided to turn on the tv. Then when I turned it to face the bed, it went blank, and would not turn on again. All night and morning you could hear the riff-raff in the back parking lot, and down the hallways, usually with a woof! woof! woof! from their dogs with them. At checkout, I stated I was not happy with my stay at all. The 'manager' said not a word, so as to avoid the possibility of losing profit. The next morning it turned out I would have to stay there again. I had still not found my phone. Not really wanting to stay there, I pulled into a spot to see if I could get wifi on my laptop so I could find another hotel. While I was doing this, I noticed some 40-ish fellow leaning over a handrail above me at my 11 o'clock position. He was glaring at me. I leaned over and said "Can I help you with something?" "What are you doing here?" He says, condescendingly. "Hm? Well I could ask you the same thing there, buddy. What are YOU doing there staring down at me?" "I work here." "And? You've got a point to make, I presume?" "I'm security." "How wonderful for you! But hey...maybe you should do something about all the *eth-heads you've got going in and out of here all night. I was here yesterday and couldn't even do laundry because they were piling in here by the car loads." He stares at me blankly then says with an accusing tone "That's nice. So what are you doing here?" "Hey, buds...I don't like your tone or your demeanor. You got a name?" "John Bush." "John Bush?" "Yeah. John Bush. You hard of hearing?" "Actually I am. Thanks for asking. So tell me, Mr. John Bush...do you always behave this way with hotel patrons?" "Nope. But you're not a patron." "Uh-huh...so, you see...that's where you're wrong. I stayed here yesterday and am about to stay here again." "Yeah well you're not welcome to stay here." "Oh? Says who?" "Says me." "You're the owner?" "I already told you I'm security." "You say that as if you're proud of it." "I am." "I've no doubt of it." "What's your name?" he demands. "None of your bloody business, boy." "It is my business because I'm security! And who are you calling 'boy'?" "You, because A) I'm much older than you, and B) you're acting like an over empowered spoiled brat with a magic wand. You might want to find someone else to play your games with." "Is that a threat?" "Of potential litigation? Certainly. Is your manager in?" "No. I want you to leave this property." "There's lots of things I want too, but I realize I'll never get them. And how am I supposed to know you're hotel security and not one of these *eth-heads staying here?" He whips out a black cheque-book from his back pocket and holds it up for me like it's a badge. "I bet you practiced that move umpteen times in front of a mirror before you were confident with it, eh? Impressive!" "You need to move along now!" "Uh...yeah, well...I still don't know if you're security or not. You flashed a cheque-book. That proves nothing. For all I know you're a *eth dealer jacked up on his own product. Eh?" I'm security?" "Oh, you're something, alright. You mind if I record our scintillating conversation here?" (I had forgot I misplaced my phone). "GO AHEAD! THERE'S A CAMERA RIGHT THERE!" "Oh! Then you've no objection to my getting a copy of your bizarre behaviour here?" "You need to leave!" He leans over and takes a photo of my license plate. "Yeah...I think I do. I've already had one unsavory experience here, I don't need another to convince me this is a scummy hotel. But before I go, could I get your manager's name? Or the owner's, preferably?" "NO!" He then swaggers off like he's all proud of himself for his acting abilities. I went for a coffee, came back, parked, then went up to the pony-tailed dude behind the desk and asked if the manager was in. "Uh...no. I there something I can help you with?" "Likely not. Is there a contact number or business card for your manager?" "Oh...yeah...just around the corner here...here you go. Are you...are you, um....sure that, uh...that we can't solve or fix the issue...whatever it is?" "Uh...well....your 'security guard' was just harassing me outside. I think I'm going to take it up with management." "Uh...okay. Um...What for?" "Okay...here's what I think. I think the 'security guard' here is, uh......'congenial' to the *eth-heads that are coming and going out of this hotel like its their turf. That mentality would also explain the 'security guard's' behaviour...acting like he's a paranoid tough-guy." "Um...okay. So can I have your name?" "You want my name?" "Yes." "Why?" "Um...so we...I could talk to management about your issue, sir, and, um..." "I don't need your permission to speak to management or the owner, buddy. Do you not remember you just handed me his business card a minute ago? I have his number right here...see? On the card? So how is giving YOU my name going to make my calling the manager any easier? Hm?" "Sir...uh...you have to provide your name when making a complaint and..." "I 'have to'? Really? Yeah...I see what you're doing here. Nice try. Tell you what...give me YOUR name and then I 'might' consider giving you mine. Deal?" Just then, the security guard comes out from around the corner he was hiding behind. Eavesdropping seems to be a thread here at this hotel. Perhaps the phones weren't wired for sound, but video? Hm? "Oh! There he is!" "YOU NEED TO LEAVE RIGHT NOW, SIR!" He then motions as if he's going to rush me. "Don't even think about putting your hands on me, dude." He stops short. "You need to leave!" "For what reason?" "Because I said so?" "Not good enough. Anyway...I've got better things to do than participate in your *eth delusions and fantasies. But tell your boss he'll be getting a notice of claim soon. Okay? Have a nice day, boys." The security goon follows me out. "Yeah, well....don't come back here again!" "Oh, you weirdos won't be getting my money again, rest assured." "Good!" "Chances are I'll be getting some of yours, though." "I doubt it!" "Doubt away. It's a pseudo-free country." "Have a nice day, sir." I walked down to my car, turned around, and saw that he had followed me most the way. I walked to the back of my car. "You sure got a hero complex, don't yo'u?" "Have a nice day, sir." "You as well, Sirrah." "Have a nice day, sir." "You keep saying that. I do not think it means what you think it means." "Have a nice day, sir." "The sun's rising. Time for you to scurry back to your lair, pupil boy." He had a smart phone in his hands, recording. Walking quickly toward me, he stopped two parking spots short, turned quickly and headed back to the hotel entrance, bounding up the steps like he was a tattle-tale sibling about to run to mommy to snitch on his older brother. And that, dear readers, was my experience here. I won't bother with a lawsuit because I'm not that thin-skinned. But this encounter is worthy of public display. I mean, imagine the extra income gained by accommodating 'certain clientele' who exploit fresh meat at the shelter down the street? Or concessions ('perks') exchanged for concessions (free rooms, parking, and laundry) - at the expense of the owners and reputation of the hotel chain name? 'Plus'? There is no 'plus' here. Only minuses. The room was not 'clean', the phones did not work, attitudes and issues galore, noisy, smelly, unsafe, the hotel infested with nefarious riff-raff, and the night-clerk and 'security guard' weren't wearing Covid masks. Stay at your own risk. The only positive note was the young woman who replaced the game-playing older clerk. It doesn't change the review, however. Nonplussed by this 'Plus' Best Western.

Clean it! Fecal matter on the toilet, half inch of dust on the light fixtures, old soap in the shower, mold everywhere, tv was not connected to the cable box, hair trimmings in sink, toothpaste on the mirror, black hand prints on the doors.... the springs sticking out of the mattress injured me. There was no breakfast options provided and the restaurant doesnt open until check out time. It was disgusting and i will never go back or send anyone

had a great covid stay, many safety measures were in place, staff was cutreous and kind and the room was great. The pool was semi closed because of covid but I was able to make an appointment to use the hot tub, which i did.

The room was gorgeous, well designed, and super clean. The lady at the front desk was wonderful, kind and informative. They had very well used protocols and protection for all Covid precautions, even with still keeping all there amenities intact for a great experience. Will definitely be back!

We stayed in this hotel as a last minute booking on a road trip. We were pleasantly surprised overall and the staff were very helpful. There did not appear to be a restaurant open (due to the pandemic) but the location was fine for dining out. It is a ten minute walk to bars and dining. As it was during Covid the breakfast was a bag of muffins etc, which was fine. The pool and spa was by booking only. It was great to have the pool to myself for an hour. At home we have not been able to go to a pool since the March lockdown - so this was a real treat. If I was ever stay over in Mission, B.C. again I would definitely choose to stay here.

We stayed one night at this hotel and we were looking forward to spending some time in the hot tub. They did appointments which was great due to COVID - we went showered and stepped into the hot tub to huge disappointment - it was barely warm. I am not sure why this was not checked - but it really was a drag to get wet for no reason - we did not want the pool just a nice hot tub soak. The room was fine everything seemed clean. Bag and go breakfast kind of boring - I don't know why more effort could not be made for this - like maybe a breakfast sandwich - I'm sure whoever is making them could wear a mask and gloves. They could keep in a warmer and a staff member could use tongs to hand out - that way you keep staff employed as well. just a suggestion. Other than the hot tub the stay was good - but the hot tub for us was a big deal when reported the girl at the front was like oh well which was even more annoying - why not offer to have it fixed and then call when it was hot so we could still enjoy it.

I stayed in this hotel on September 22, 2020. Choose this hotel as it was very close to where we went sturgeon fishing on the Fraser River. Room was very nice and clean, Room 226. Bed was super comfy and loved the 4 pillows on each bed. As it was during the dreaded Covid19 there was no breakfast other than the Grab and Go paper bag, which was your standard for the Best Westerns. The pool and spa was by booking only which I was not told at time of booking. However, the front desk made a great attempt to get us in, which they did. Restaurant on site was closed due to the pandemic?? However, a few choices within an easy drive or good walk away. If I was ever in Mission, B.C. again I would definitely stay here. There was construction, adding onto hotel? Not sure, only down side was it was a bit noisy as it is on a very busy road.

The staff was very helpful, the hotel was clean. In the pool area the hot tub was ice cold & you had to book a 45 minute slot because of covid so the one time we actually got in there we couldn't enjoy the one thing we booked at that hotel for I asked before I booked if the hot tub was working & they assured me it was, when I told them it was cold they said they'd let maintenance know but didn't get us a different pool time for the inconvenience.

It was an amazing stay. The staff was very friendly and professional. I enjoyed the room it was in amazing working order and I could see that the housekeeping team takes a lot of pride and effort in their work as the room was both immaculate and presentable. The maintenance of the building itself was impeccable and I praise the team that is at this location for working together and making this stay so amazing. It truly was an experience that made me feel so comfortable and relaxed while away from home. Cant wait to be there again!

We stayed for 2 nights while visiting family in the area. We had a standard room and it was comfortable with good air conditioning which we needed during the hottest day of the year! The staff were pleasant and available if needed. The location is very good for touring the area and central to many local sites. The large grocery store is across the street which was very handy for stocking up before we headed to the Island. We did not use the pool or hot tub. We were there during COVID so the hotel was very quiet but they did practice all the necessary precautions. I would recommend this hotel.

None of the restaurants were open in the hotel or anywhere near by. Only option was skip the dishes and there wasn't any delivery charges. Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Good stay minus food.

Was on a photography workshop with four other people. None of us had ever met, and we were all from various world locations. The other four people were located very close together, my room was a floor up and at the farthest location from the elevators. At the time of checking in, I did not realize I was so far away, but once I got settled into my room, all was good. I had a very large suite, and was quite happy with it. Breakfast was great, lots of variety.

we had a local tournament. staff was quite rude to the children and parents. Hotel restaurant service was atrocious. Not family friendly. Better options in Abbotsford. Online prices were better than group discount. Most disappointing Best Western in my travel history.

We had business in Mission to attend to, so this was a great place to stay. Quiet, clean, affordable, easy parking, friendly, complimentary breakfast, comfy beds. I can't say anything bad about this place.

Room was excellent beautiful sundeck view of the river. Staff accomodated our every need and were very helpful. The pool was very nice neat and clean, as well as the restaurant. Can't say enough about this lovely hotel

The one thing that we didn't like was the complimentary breakfast buffet, otherwise everything was very clean and staff were friendly. Allowing for an early check in, which helped us out a lot on this day.

We stayed at the hotel over Christmas and were quite happy with how clean it was, and it was great to have a good breakfast. Bring your earplugs if the train whistles bother you - they're far in the distance but some of the conductors are "enthusiastic"!

This is a clean, nicely appointed and well run hotel with a friendly and helpful staff. Great swimming pool plus an excellent restaurant make it my go-to home in the Fraser. Alley. Convenient location for shopping and other activities too!!

The hotel was very clean.. the staff was friendly. The location was excellent. The only thing I would change. Is towels to bigger ones. And breakfast room and gym hours to earlier. But I will be back cause it was an excellent place

We stayed here for one night when we drove to Mission BC to see the Bald Eagles. The Eagles flock here in late November and early December to feast on the salmon in the Frasier river. This was a great trip for us. The room was clean and quiet. The heat/air conditioner worked fine. The bathroom was clean. The shower had plenty of hot water. The bed was comfortable. The parking was fine and not crowded. We were very happy with our stay there. The breakfast was satisfactory, but not fantastic. i had a waffel and some yogurt. The two ladies serving the breakfast were friendly and one offered to make the waffle for me. She did a fine job. They have some toppings for the waffles as well as maple syrup. I had the syrup but tried the topping too and it was great. They served sausage but not bacon. They also offered eggs and a sausage patty for an egg sandwich (on english muffin). I didn't try that, but it looked good too.

We stayed at the Best Westren for one night while on a trip to north western US. We have friends in Mission so we decided to include them in our trip plans and ventured into Canada for one night. The hotel was niice, the staff were friendly and efficient. The room was large, clean and comfortable, typical Best Western issue. The hotel is located centrally, which is convenient, of course. All in all, Very Nice!!

This hotel is under construction so noise is a factor. Also we were put in a front facing room that was also very noisy due to highway traffic. Rooms need to be updated for sure. Will pass on ever staying here again even after construction is done. Just to close to highway.

Stayed here before but this time noticed the metal doors on the third floor rooms are all beat up. Doesn't look nice at all. It was a full house the night we were there and parents were letting their kids run up and down the hall way playing soccer and hockey. Room was nice. Staff was friendly.

I would stay at a different BW if one was available, usually stayed at the Abbotsford location but its a different chain now but will consider switching to Coast simply because of conditions at the Mission location and the front desk staff on day of arrival and previous experiences with same staff member

A handy location and a decent hotel with a full restaurant, other than that the location means significant traffic noise for those rooms that face the main drag. The price point value was the reason I chose to drive the couple of miles north of where I was working so a bit of a trade-off

Comfortable clean quiet rooms with easy access. Doors close softly, so you don't wake up in the morning hearing everyone else in the hotel coming and going. The room came with a complimentary full breakfast which was very good. The staff there were great too.

The room was very clean and up to date. There was ample parking available. The breakfast is a big draw for us. We enjoyed the breakfast and the staff were friendly. Check in and check out was easy. Would stay there again!

For a best western plus , this was not a plus. The beds in our room were terrible , should have been replaced a long time ago. Certainly not up to best western quality especially the plus standard. .Did not have a good nite at all . Got no help from front desk in the morning when I wanted to show them the problem. Breakfast area was so small we could not even have breakfast. Suggested to front desk they refund us half of our room rate , Instead we got a discount of 17.50. Wow what an insult. NOT anywhere near Best Western Quality.

Checkin was pleasant, room was spotless, bathroom spotless. Pool water temp refreshing and hot tub very clean. Really enjoyed our nite here and will definitely stay again. Access to and from Hwy easy to find.

Room was alright. For 190$ was wayy overpriced. Hot tub first night was lukewarm... The chillawack smell was sucked into hotel vents.. smelt bad in the hallways.(manure smell) Went to the breakfast room. The black haired lady was soo rude. Cranky and muttering under her breath. Asked poltitely for more chairs... was told no more available..stood outside got attacked by stubborn wasps..very stubborn. Next morning same thing..rude service by same black haired lady.nears 10 am she starts giving us the bums rush..kicking us out.. it was open till 10..but geez not very hospitable.. Door keycard barely worked... Most of the doors all dented in.. kinda run down. Saw THE cleaning lady was using a swifter to clean the floors.. thats gross because it just smears germs everywhere... Oh ya. Went to relax in the pool. Because we are on vacation.. in walks this chick and she starts to do private swim lessons.. yelling and screaming drills... omg really.. yaa Come on best western. Do better..!!

We stayed 3 nights at this Best Western and enjoyed every minute. Very clean and welcoming. Great staff. The buffet breakfast has something for everyone..scrambled eggs, sausage, cereals, bagels, waffles, oj, coffee,tea yogurt etc. Judy and her colleagues are very friendly and accommodating and stay busy keeping the dining area clean and the food items fill. Pool, hot tub and dry sauna. Walmart and Supercentre just down the road. Highly recommend this hotel.

This is indeed the best hotel for a resonable price, very well done! Even with our minor banking/Visa complications management was very helpful acomadating, I have never slept better, the lobby was beautifully set up the room we had was perfect specially with the upgrade, so very quiet too.

Convenient location off the main highway. Located on the Lougheed HWY it is priced well for all budgets. Staff are excellent and major supply stores are across the road. Bed was comfortable and the breakfast includes fresh on the spot made items.

You can always count on a Best Western for comfort and cleanliness. The staff at the hotel were helpful and friendly. There are places to shop and eat close by. We had dinner at the Wee Chippee Fish and Chip restaurant, and the meal was great. English style fish and chips. We would stay there again. Less costly than staying in Surrey where our event was.

A friend who lives in Mission got married at the hotel. The building is unremarkable, but the rooms are comfortable and larger than the average hotel of this type. The service was extremely good from check-in through to the wedding reception, which took place in a private room away from other hotel guests. The staff who catered the wedding reception were extremely friendly and helpful.

Friendly helpful staff at front desk and at breakfast, clean and comfortable rooms. Slept great! Location was close to where we needed to go. Great breakfast with several gluten free options, even a gluten free toaster which doesn't happen often, nice touch. Quiet

While the exterior of this property looked very nice, our room (#100) was barely a 3.5/5, and I gave it that because of the cute kitchenette it had. Very dated, smelly, with old bedding, furniture, etc. I expected much better for the price. Next time I'll stay down the road a couple of miles where we've stayed on prior trips.

Staff went out of their way to accommodate our last minute booking in a pet friendly room, even though it was already booked the second night, they juggled the rooms around to fit us in as the others booked didn't actually require a room that accommodated a pet. Not may hotels have pet friendly options so were extremely happy they were able to accommodate our needs. Even with the front HWY facing rooms, our sleep was not disturbed by the road noise, room was extremely quiet. If I had to complain about anything, it would be the breakfast staff walking past the door at their early hours talking loudly and pushing a loud cart but this did not ruin our stay.

I would like to send my thanks and deep appreciation to the management and staff of the Best Western Plus Mission City Lodge. We have been shooting our show out there this year, and I routinely book upwards of 30 rooms or more. Management has gone out of their way to accommodate all of our last minute date changes and room changes. They have made my job much much easier.

This "plus" hotel was honestly a low-to-mid grade hotel. It was clean, but the overall quality does not match the price they charge. The beds were uncomfortable and the pillows lumpy. The ice machines on both floors were also broken for the length of our stay, which was annoying. We didn't bring these issues up with the front desk staff during our stay as none seemed likely to be something they could "fix". All in all, we are not likely to return here at all. Spend an extra few bucks and stay somewhere else.

Stayed here as it is close to Mission Raceway. I was initially worried about the lack of options when I first came to the track in 2018. Stayed here June of 2018 & April 2019, while out to the track. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and convenient the hotel was. There is an excellent restaurant/pub in the hotel (not just some crummy chain restaurant) The food is exceptional (especially the French Dip) I usually stay at a very expensive chain (of which I am a Platinum member) so I come with higher than usual expectations. This particular Best Western still met them.

My business team stayed here 1 night (Apr 18, 2019). The staff was courteous and informative. The rooms (which all have microwaves and small fridges with freezing sections) were clean, spacious and comfortable. There were plenty of sturdy surface areas (desk, coffee table) to unpack our luggage. The food at the hotel restaurant was excellent. The lamb was "melt off the bone tender" and delicious - my compliments to the chef! I would stay here again.

Stayed here with a few friends on our sturgeon fishing trip. Service was great rooms were clean, some previous reviews said the breakfast was awesome, I would not rated as awesome I would call it average. But that's what you get at most hotels

The front desk staff are very accommodating and kind. They are quick with check-in and attentive to your needs during your stay. I had a lovely experience thanks to them! Clean hotel otherwise with a great little pool and hot tub.

From the well-appointed rooms to the very friendly staff the Best Western Plus Mission Lodge is a great place to stay when you're in Mission. It is close to everything in Mission and Abbotsford Panther restaurant it is second to none as far as restaurants in hotels go. They have an excellent Fitness room which is very well-appointed and their hot tub and pool are pretty darn good too. the next time I am here on business I will definitely stay at the Best Western Plus in Mission.

This hotel is nothing fancy, but it is clean, and staff are great. Suggest asking for a room at the back of the hotel, as the front faces the road and can be quite noisy because of traffic. Continental breakfast is great.

The stay was okay for the most part, with the exception of the traffic noise that builds up from about 4:30 am on. I would highly recommend making sure your room is booked on the opposite side of the hotel if you don't want to be able to sleep in.

We arrived at our Best Western Hotel after 9 PM tired and ready for some R & R and it came to us immediately upon checking in. The woman we first me was a breath of fresh air. She was a perfect fit to our perfect stay.

We stay here often while visiting family. Staff is always friendly and helpful, and we always enjoy our visit.Having a hot breakfast is nice, with decent coffee. Warning that the coffee system has switched to kuerig.

I stayed there only one night, pretty much just to sleep, prices are good for what you get. I was expecting something dirty and smelly but it wasn't. Seemed very clean and staff in front desk were very nice. If I have to stay in Mission again I would definitely stay at that hotel again.

Hotel is clean and staff is friendly. Room was large and comfortable. Breakfast is terrific! Grab and go as well. But if you are annoyed by the sound of trains you kinda hear them a lot. Lots of parking and when you check in you should find out where your room is so you can drive to it and take your luggage in nearby.

I dig this hotel. Very friendly front desk staff - and helpful. Great rooms. The restaurant hosted an event for us last year and the food was amazing. The pool is nice. Handy to Mission, Abbotsford, Maple Ridge - which is great for my work.

I want to especially thank employee James for his assistance when I checked out very early in the morning. He was kind and went out of his way to help me although his job description wasn't guest services per se. This is the kind of gesture that means more for customer loyalty than just a comfortable bed or free continental breakfast. Thank you James!

We stayed in the Suite on the top floor with private balcony and sweeping views of the Fraser Valley. Fantastic view of Mt Baker in Washington State. The indoor pool was refreshing and the whirlpool tub relaxing. They have complimentary breakfast in it's own Breakfast room offering everything from cold cereal to fresh made waffles and all you need for a good breakfast. Well situated next to shopping and restaurants

Amazing view Fraser River view, Clean and quite. Good restaurant and Starbucks right across the street. Walking distance to shopping district. Easy to find and a spacious parking lot. They had a nice pool too; but I didn't get a chance to go swimming.

This hotel is clean and fairly updated. The view from my room was amazing, and the front desk agent was efficient and friendly. I needed a bigger room and she was able to accommodate me without issue. My son and I really enjoyed the pool, it was bigger than most hotel pools. Good hotel at a reasonable rate.

Three of us checked in for three nights while Sturgeon and Salmon Fishing out of Mission. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Good sized rooms. All amenities were in place. Staff was great and easy going. The associated restaurant was good but a bit on the upscale side which should not detract from this rating. A special thank you goes to the breakfast staff. As we were heading out on the river for a days fishing, we were pleased to find pancakes, eggs and sausage, plus all the other breakfast items. The coffee was hot and enough that we could fill our thermos. The staff was really friendly and made us feel right to home. They even opened up a bit early so the crowd of fishers that gathered at the door could get a earlier start. Thanks guys.

The room was very good and spacey. The level of service was very good indeed. There is an associated restaurant but locals do not rate it. We found it okay but ate more at Mission Springs by Walmart - which is favoured by locals due to price and very large portions. There is a free beakfast which is run by exceptional staff who will do everything to help. The breakfast is basic but who cares when the staff are this good.

We booked the honeymoon suite for our wedding weekend. The room was very clean and a good size, the staff were all very kind and helpful. Our out of town guests loved staying all in one place together.

Generally I enjoy staying at Best Western hotels and this one was a VERY NICE surprise. The spacious clean rooms, Great value for the money, Great restaurant and pub and a very good breakfast included. All the staff were very smiley and helpful. We would gladly stay here again.

Have stayed there numerous times. Every time was a great experience. The staff went out of their way to accomodate my husband and I. It is so close to Mission Raceway Track and so easy to access. Wal-mart and Superstore close by.

Spent 3 nights here. Rooms were clean, comfortable and clean. The pool and hot tub was a nice bonus. There is also a decent exercise room and restaurant in the hotel. The hotel is close to many amenities. We will stay here again if we're back in the area.

This was the worst front desk staff I've ever experienced. I booked a room 8 months in advance. We requested early check-in (between noon and 2pm) as we were attending a wedding at 4pm. Received confirmation for early check-in. When we arrived we were told we couldn't have the room until 3pm. This didn't work for us as a shuttle was scheduled to pick us up at 3pm. We were given a choice to check in at 3pm or she could open the pool washroom and we could change for the wedding in there. Then on the day of check out the elevator wasn't working and we had to carry our luggage down 4 flights of stairs and my wife has a bad knee. We found out later that there was a service elevator that they could have offered us but didn't.

It's not Hilton, but if you are in town it's a good place to stay. Not much restaurants in mission, and did not try the hotel restaurant. Overall, recommended.

I spent a night with my son on a fishing trip. The check in and out were a breeze, and receptionist was helpful. Room was big enough with everything clean and in good order. The included breakfast was good with decent options. Despite the hotel being on a highway I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of noise. I will be staying again here for future fishing trips.

We had chosen to stay with the Best Western in Mission on our wedding night, and had suggested the hotel to our guests as well. While we had a good experience with the manager arranging for this room block for our guests, we were less than impressed with the remainder of our stay. For the price we paid for rooms, they were mediocre. Several of the rooms weren't cleaned from the night before (resulting in my wedding night spent in a dirty hotel room). There was no option to check in early (a 3pm check in makes it tough on a wedding day), and they refused to hold luggage for our guests so that they could check in later upon returning to the hotel. For a hotel chain that is well known, I found it disappointing to have the experience that we had with them...

I had a good stay here last week but even though I completed a full review/survey that they sent me a few days later, they have spammed me again with a reminder to complete it. I'm finding I get spammed by most hotels with such requests and am now leaving "average" reviews when it happens. Another negative feature shared by other hotels is that although they display messages saying that we can help the environment by leaving our towels hanging on racks or hooks, and re-using them the next day, the towels were washed regardless. It was a bit pricey but was otherwise a good place to stay.

A great experience with BW. I will start with the brilliant experience, the stuff ere is so friendly. very quite place, good for kids as the Swimming pool is a kids friendly. I will defiantly come back here soon!

We have stayed at this hotel many times, but this time was very disappointing. We checked into the hotel which was very quick, went to our room only to find the floor had not been cleaned, rug was covered in pieces of dirt, there was coffee spilt on the tiles a couple of dried up what looked like blueberries in the corner by the door and pieces of toilet paper on said floor. Other than that the room was clean. I let front desk know and they fixed the problem right away. Another thing was the internet was very slow if at all. Had key problems as well. For the price that rooms cost I think they should have glass mugs and glasses. They staff was very friendly and great service.

Great place easy access to shopping and facilities we wanted. We were there for the dance recital and they were so helpful with all the girls needs. The continental breakfast is so good, lots of selection for even the pickiest eaters. Great place to stay.

Excellent service and amenities. Close to everything and friendly staff! Rooms are clean and comfy - internet was great and the pool was beautiful. Easy to access and rates were good as well. Plenty of parking!

The rooms were very nice and clean. Staff were extremely friendly. Highway truck traffic a little annoying. Front Counter did move us from 2nd floor to 4th. It did make a difference. Very accommodating. The breakfast was OK but only went once. I would still recommend this hotel. Front Counter and cleaning staff very nice.

My family enjoyed our stay at the Mission location very much. The room was clean , the kids were very happy with the pool and swam once sometimes twice a day during our 4 night stay. The breakfast was delicious, I loved the waffles!

I stay here every time I visit Mission, BC. The staff are helpful, courteous & friendly. They will assist in finding a discount rate if one is possible. The room is functional; clean and the coffee is so good. Love the Keurig machine. The onsite laundry facilities are well-kept and machines clean. Very handy for those of us staying extended periods unexpectedly. Machines not too expensive either. Enjoyed continental breakfast; great selection of pastries & cereals, etc. Highly recommend this place.

The room was clean minus the huge spider in the shower and the gross mass of hair under the sink on the floor... The bathroom was far from clean. We called and complained to front desk but there was nothing they would be or could do about it, as we didn't realise until hours after we had checked in. We literally checked in dropped our bags off and were gone again. So there was not much time to notice anything until we got back to our room..

The location is good with fitness equipment. The rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast was quite good and is included in the rate. There are nearby restaurants and a Starbucks next door. The reception staff could do with some customer service training but this didn't interfere with the basics of the room and stay.

I read some of the poor reviews before I stayed here, and of course it had me concerned. However, my experience was very much the opposite. Rooms were clean, staff was always friendly and smiled and the continental breakfast met my expectations. I left satisfied and will add this hotel to my list of places to stay.

Staff were pleasant, restaurant has been restaffed recently and boasts a new menu, menu. A little slow from the kitchen, wait staff were pleasant and attentive. Constructive feedback was welcomed. Rooms were comfortable and quiet for us.

Right on the Highway which is noisy and busy. If your room faces the higway open your window and hear the roar all day long. Room was standard.Good size and clean.Nice size bathroom and good shower pressure. Service was allright I would not make it a destination but if driving by and needed a place to sleep it's ok. Breakfast included was reasonable.

I arrived late in the evening on Sunday, January 20 after a VERY long day of travelling. My gps took me to the back of the hotel which had a secure entrance that only allowed access to registered guests. So I re-loaded my luggage, climbed back into the car, drove around to the front, and made my way inside. I entered the front lobby to find that a security cage had been extended about 7/8 across the front of the desk. The gentleman working the desk asked me through the cage if he could help me. I told him that I had a reservation and asked if I could approach the desk. He said that I wasn't allowed to approach the desk until he checked my ID. I know that I was a weary traveller but I didn't think that I looked that disheveled that I appeared to be some kind of risk, especially since I was carting 3 bags along with me. Once he checked my ID I was allowed to approach the desk. Typically when I enter an establishment such as this I receive a feeling of being welcome. In this case, I felt somewhat insulted and judged. I never went past the front desk again despite staying for 3 nights. I used the back door exclusively. Other than that, I really enjoyed my stay. My room was fairly clean and comfortable. Only issue was finding someone else's toenail on the carpet. The floor was otherwise clean and I'm sure the vacuum just didn't pick it up. Not a huge deal in my books.

The hotel is conveniently located on Highway 7, Its quiet,its comfortable and the staff manager was fantastic. The restaurant bar is nice, has good food, and you don't have to leave the hotel. We were without power for 2 days, so the hotel was close by for us, and it was nice to relax and get warm in a nice room.

Great stay at this hotel. It is definitely older but very clean. There is no breakfast included but there is a great restaurant in the hotel. It has a pool and great parking. Very friendly staff - it is by the hospital so it is just a 2 min walk.

We stayed on a weekend when there were a number of Christmas events being held at the hotel. People were lingering in the hallways talking at 2:00am, the noise outside our room meant that I had to get out of bed and tell them to take their conversation into a room. The people in the room above us were stomping around until well after 3:00am. The noise from their footsteps carried down to our room which meant we didn't get much sleep. The room was big and nicely set up. The staff were very helpful and I think they were genuinely sorry to hear about the noise problems impacting our room. They went out of their way to try to address the issue in the morning but it was still a sleepless night. The location was perfect for my business needs.

I liked the hotel but not being able to take a shower was totally unacceptable. (We were told when we arrived there was no hot water). Ok I got to take one the morning we were leaving but I really wanted one the night we arrived. For that matter we had no water at all for the first few hours so we couldn't even wash our hands or even go to the bathroom. I suppose that doesn't happen very often there but still it happened to me. That was a first!

The location was very good, and rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast staff could have been more welcoming and tried to rush us out because we came towards the end, but mostly we had to wait for the waffle iron due to a line up and they were constantly trying to put stuff away.

I originally booked for one night but business needed me to stay longer. Thus, I asked that my stay be extended for 3 more nights. The night I asked for an extension of stay, I asked if it is possible because if it is not, I don't mind moving to another BW Plus in Abbotsford. However, Pam at the Desk informed me that there's no problem at all and she extended my stay. Let me re-iterate, I asked for 3 more nights. Thus, 4 nights in total. On my last day, while I was away from my room, I received a call from Cheryl, informing me that I should be checking out already. I was surprised and told her that my booking is until Sunday night, so my check out is for Monday morning. She insisted that I should check out already and that they needed my room type for another guest. In a threatening voice she was yelling at me on the phone, telling me that my booking is only up to Sat night, check out Sunday. I was appalled by her approach over the phone (very mean and arrogant) and when I told her that, it looks like FD made a mistake in their system for the number of nights that I asked for, she never apologize and rather replied with "So, what do you want me to do now?"—repeatedly and in a very arrogant tone. She also threatened me that she will ask housekeeping to pack all my belongings from the room and take it away, if I don't check out. How in the world can you say that to a good paying and loyal guest? Very unacceptable! Terrible! Mind you, I was away on a business meeting when she called me. Now, that was very upsetting and I told her that she can't do that. I asked to speak to the manager only to be told that he's not available. I was frustrated and very upset. The entire conversation stressed me out unnecessarily. Her manner of speaking is unbelievable, very unprofessional and unkind. I've never had this very bad experience in any BW hotel and I'll never forget how I was treated here. Quite traumatizing! On another issue, the room was quite dusty. In fact, there was a thread of dust hanging on the light fixture in the bathroom (gross). I asked for housekeeping. It was removed but not completely and obviously, housekeeping did not really clean the room properly (see photos). It was also noisy with kids running back and forth the hallway. On a positive note, the ladies (specially Judy) at the breakfast room were very pleasant, friendly and accommodating. Basic breakfast food selection but good enough. Summing it up, bad experience in this hotel and never coming back. There are other hotels nearby.

Nice staff, with all the amenities you required for a comfortable stay. Easy approach to city and all locations. Hotel is on a prominent location and very close to highways. Business people will enjoy at this place. Overall stay at this place is a good value to your money and budget.

This Best Western was exceptionally clean and well run. The uniformed front desk staff were professional, courteous, and very helpful. Our room was well appointed and comfortable. The restaurant was very nice and food (Lunch menu) was 'just right.

Hotel amenities were decent, bed was comfortable, the air conditioning in the room was quite loud, they provided nice in room coffee, and overall the experience was fine. Lots of parking, close to the raceway and had a restaurant next door. We didn't get to experience the pool but it looked nice.

I have heard that this is the best place to stay in mission and I must imagine that is accurate. The only issue we had was that the wifi was not available in our room (we were the very last room at the end of the hall, so I don't think the signal was strong enough). We stayed in the wheelchair accessible room and it was well laid out for accessibility. The breakfast was good. The gym is far too small and very few options. The hot tub was broken when we stayed there, but the pool was nice (just a bit cold). I was nervous it would be too loud next to the highway and train tracks but we slept very well; in fact, the only thing that woke us in the night is when they slid our bill for "express check-out" under the door at 1am. Friendly staff too!

Stayed here many times and look forward to coming back every time. The staff are wonderful, very helpful and make you feel at home. I have never had a problem here and would highly recommend this hotel.

Rooms at the along the main highway experience some road and traffic noise however overall a very good hotel. The staff has always been courteous and friendly and professional. Rooms are very clean and amenities are close by with an excellent restaurant on the premises.

The breakfast was ok; could use some more fresh fruits. Room was comfortable but the mattresses should be updated. Liked the bathroom, shower and tub. Enjoyed a hot tub after a long day wading. Internet and tv are fine. Will stay again next year. Traffic noise is noticeable as it is right next to the highway. If one wanted to sleep in it would require good ear plugs but as we were getting up early for fishing it was no problem. Good restaurant nearby.

This was a comfortable place to stay. It was a positive and enjoyable experience. The place was neat with a fast internet connection and a full kitchen. We enjoyed the swimming pool, fitness room and sauna for a healthy lifestyle as well as free continental breakfast.

I stayed here to attend a conference within the facilities...the service was outstanding / the room was clean, tidy, full featured / the wi-fi was great & working (sometimes hotels over-look this essential business feature)

We have a group of 8 to 10 rooms that stay here every year for 5 nights. We have always enjoyed staying here as It is clean. Staff are always nice and helpful. Food and service was great. There has been a change of restaurant and serving staff this last trip. Food and service are terrible. After a couple of meals in restaurant and bar we all started eating at other places and having drinks in our room. This was because food is not what we ordered and service is terrible. Restaurant and bar were over staffed in an empty room but still could not get any service.

Checked into best western for 2 nights, Friday and Saturday because it was close to where we were going and it was pet friendly. Friday was ok but then Sunday morning at 6am woke up to someone stomping continuously right above us. Once we got up we noticed there were ants everywhere in our room. They were completely filling our puppy's water dish that he had been drinking from. It was disgusting! There were hundreds of them all over the living room/entrance area. They ended up in our shoes and on our bed too. When I was checking out I told the front desk and all the worker said was "thank you for bringing that to our attention". He didn't even offer a discount or an apology. I will never go back. We are extremely unhappy with our experience at the Best western Mission.

On a recent trip to the goal oriented city of Mission, reason being to attend a friend's wedding, my girlfriend and I happened to rest our weary selves at not just the Better Western, but the Best Western. Trust me, fellow travellers, the name boasts no lies. We all know Mission is a land of few words and fewer people, with their raceways, waterways, and Safeways. I myself have only travelled to their prosperous lands a handful of times in my life, but I'm yet to regret any such trip to this day. The staff treated us as old friends, laughing and sharing news of their days and lives, and truly making us feel at home. The room was as quiet as someone who had recently lost their full ability to speak, the remainder of their time on this planet forever spent in silence. The air conditioner made us forget that the sun was currently punishing the populace outside our doors with its tremendous heat, as we cooled ourselves in a Siberian style atmosphere. And finally, the television, while admittedly not purposefully provided by the hotel, was playing a Harry Potter marathon for our viewing enjoyment. Friends, we all know life is short. At any given moment, we could be struck down by a bus or a passing unicyclist with a machete, and not even realize our end was approaching. We must live life to the fullest, and the only way this can happen is if we take full advantage of well priced, comfortable, and convenient lodgings whilst we explore our world. Don't just do it for yourself, don't just do it for your significant other... Do it for what might be, and what might never be. You won't regret it.

Went to Mission foe a wedding. Hotel was convenient to the wedding location. Friendly staff and pillows were some of the best we have had in hotels. good breakfast. Was just one night so not much else to say.

Good hotel for the area. BrownsSocialHouse is a good restaurant nearby if you choose to eat out. It is within walking distance. Approx 1 mile. Also, Starbucks is across the street. The hotel is older along with the furnishings. But well maintained. I would say this Best Western is good for business travel but not a destination hotel.

This is a good best western. Lots of rooms redone. Pool is a decent temperature. Friendly waitress at the restaurant and good service. Comfortable beds with lots of parking. The highway out front is busy but you do not really hear it in the rooms.

Our stay was decent at the best western mission. The restaurant was excellent and had a good selection on the menu. The complimentary breakfast was also excellent and a good value which is including in our rate. The only negative thing was upon checkin my credit card was charged a $250.00 dollar deposit to ensure we didn't smoke in our room. I think this is unnecessary as they had my credit card number on file.

stayed here several times and never had a problem....there is not a lot of this type of accommodation in Mission so I feel the price is excellent especially for the time of year...the restaurant has good food and the Hotel service great

The staff were very pleasant and the breakfast was very good which was included. The rooms were clean and comfortable and I slept well and I would recommend this hotel to others. The price was reasonable

staff like to argue with customers when confronted about finding bugs in your mattress. Then they like to inform the rest of the staff about "the complainers", and also treated like you're a problem. Manager likes to get defensive and "argue" with you for 15 minutes instead of just doing something about it.

We always look forward to relaxing at Best Western Mission City Lodge after a long day at the race track. Very close to the track and lots of food options nearby. The pool is open till 11:00, we had it all to ourselves and it was very refreshing! The breakfast waffles are fantastic! Staff are very helpful. Rooms are always clean, everything works. The lobby is welcoming and relaxing with computers available for use and daily papers for reading.

We were pleasantly surprised at the amazing service at this hotel. The breakfast included was excellent, with eggs, sausages, along with the usual breads, cereal, fruit, juice, etc. The server went out of her way to make sure everything was hot and fresh, and even found me gluten free bread. The bed was super comfortable, although our room was a little small and not well lit. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are in this area.

I think this hotel could be great. the room was clean , the staff was good. But I had a kitchenette and for 4 nights they left dirty dishes in my sink. I was told that they would wash them at the end of my stay. I don't do dishes when I pay almost $200 /night.

We enjoyed the room, the location of the hotel, the included breakfasts, and also the restaurant attached to the hotel. Would highly recommend staying there. The room was attractive, the bed comfortable, the room clean...everything great!

Rooms standard fair; agree with previous reviewer that these are not BW+ that I am accustomed to. With that said, we did sleep well and had nice shower. Check in experience was irritating. I phoned around noon to request an early check in. It was a late request so if not possible I would carry on with my schedule and check in at later time. I was told I could but it would be an hour and 15, she took my number and said she would call me. 2 o'clock and still no word. We were in the area so we stopped in. Told it would be at least another hour. Isn't regular check in at 3?? So forget it and went to Friday nites air show.get a phone call at 8:22 wanting to know if I was still checking in tonite. Of course I am. So not too happy with these desk people. I wasted a good couple hours hanging around area when a " I'm sorry but it's not possible to get an early check in" would have been sufficient instead of stringing me along. And the to phone me at 8:22 to see if I was still coming???? Strike 2. I am a BW rewards member and must say this was the worst checkin experience I have encountered anywhere.

We stayed for a week in room 418 (Jacuzzi Suite) for a family of 5. Nice that kids had one room and adults could be in the other. I think I would have preferred solid French doors rather than glass... not good for any real privacy, especially with the Jacuzzi in the master bedroom and the shower not fully enclosed. Honeymooners could easily open solid French doors to have the space... Breakfast bar was standard but got very cramped on the long weekend with an odd entry from outside. We were there in summer, with sun. Could not imagine how cramped it would have been in winter with rain/snow.

Great stay at a well maintained hotel with great service. The room was big and comfortable. Breakfast was the usual affair but the staff were much more attentive and helpful than usual. The hotel was easy to find and there was ample parking.

I'm not sure why this BW is rated as a BW+. On this trip so far I have stayed at two BW+ locattions (Kent, WA; Victoria, BC) and I do not consider this motel in the same category. The room was pretty standard but all the warning signs about the motel not being responsible for anything in the room or car was a bit unsettling. I did not find a safe in the room. The atmosphere was decidedly different.

We stayed in the Best Western in Mission in August 2017, with the sky thick with smoke from forest fires in the interior. We would normally have liked to sleep with the window cracked open, but the advisories recommended using AC to filter the air. (I note that there were no screens on our windows, so we would not have wanted to sleep with the window open in any event). But the AC was right next to the bed and noisily blew right across us all night. The AC would be better located somewhere other than right next to the bed. This made for an uncomfortable sleep. And the AC in the lobby was cranked up, to a very low temperature, in the morning when I snuck down to read the newspaper. The lobby was as cold as a meat locker...

Stayed on 2nd floor. We were welcomed by and awful smell as we got out of the elevator. The smell af the room is not any better. The carpet is very filthy! Some suspicious yellowish colored fingerprints on the door. Be careful if you have allergies. Needs of deep and thorough housekeeping. I'm very disappointed. People in hospitality business should know better. Especially if you're supposed to be in a plus category.

good hotel in vancouver area, although a little bit farther than we expected. staff was helpful and friendly. rooms were good. town dies down early with limited options to eat besides the restaurant in the hotel

My wife and I had business in Vancouver this past few days. Hotel costs in Vancouver had us in a dilemma. We decided to stay here and take the Westcoast Express. It was a real experience to take the train. Fast, clean and got us right to downtown Vancouver. Compass card enabled us to ride busses and sky train all day. We will be back to Best a Western Mission

If you need a hotel in the Mission area this is a great choice. Clean rooms, good breakfast included, lots of parking and you can walk to various restaurants. Good for families as it has a good size pool.

Decent property, great staff. Room was good and clean. The property could use a little TLC. Fitness facility is small but functional. Great breakfast, the best free breakfast I've had a hotel like this. Location is decent for business in Mission and Abbotsford area.

Great hotel, lovely facilities and extremely comfortable room. Shower particularly good. Nice breakfast, well presented. Wish we had stayed longer. It was very close to US border so extremely convenient.

Best Western is always my first choice. This hotel is just far enough away from Vancouver to suite us. Easy access to everything, shopping, food,and entertainment. We would stay there again without hesitation. This is an area with both city and country to enjoy.

The staff and reception were extremely kind and very helpful. The location was perfectly located on a major highway but far enough away from the chaos of lower mainland for a peaceful overnight stay. The hotel was clean and had a fresh smell in the rooms.

Good service and all amenities are in the vicinity. Restaurant is good quality and surrounding is peaceful for good night's sleep. However, it is about 1 and half hour drive from airport. Good for business or family stay.

Very good and helpful staff. Stayed on third floor where we could go straight in to our room from the parking lot. A big help when you are elderly. Room extremely clean and wonderful beds. Our family were able to come to the hotel and swim in the pool. Lovely stay except for the "Pub" food not so good.

Check in was OK, although I was a little taken aback with the CAD 250 deposit. Room was OK; however bedsheets and blankets smells musty, which is indicative of mold presence in the room. Checkout was fine; however, I was not given the information on when the CAD 250 refund deposit will be issued unless I asked.

We attended a conference in Mission and stayed 3 nights at the Best Western Mission Lodge. The staff was very courteous and professional. The breakfast was included, but did not change at all. The last day we ate breakfast at Rockos. Overall the rooms were spacious, clean and a very comfortable bed and nice bathroom area.

Decent size room, although A little bit of a tight fit with a play pen for our 9 month old to sleep in, clean room, friendly staff. We didn't get a chance to use the pool or fitness room but saw it and looks well maintained. The hotel was quiet and very conviniently located

The hotel was nice - staff were friendly and room was clean. However, the restaurant was awful. I ordered butternut squash ravioli. It was $16 and there were 8 pieces of regular sized ravioli. That is $2 per piece. The sauce tasted like ketchup mixed with mayo. There was a small RAW red pepper and onion garnish. The dish was truly awful.

Alarm sounded around 1am everybody vacated the hotel. No one from the staff advised the guests of a problem except somebody pulled the alarm but never advised when it was safe to renter the hotel. No other explanation or apology.

although this was a business trip the staff was great in service, and the room was well looked after. after the breaks in the meetings the staff looked after the rooms in an awesome fashion, i would defiantly use this location again.

Check in was quick & simple. Room was clean and bright. Access to and from highway was easy. Lots of parking. Nice staff. Check out was quick and simple. Lots of great food and shopping options nearby. Some traffic noise, but not unreasonable. Some train noise, but you can tune it out.

Friendly staff, rooms are very clean and the staff really cares about your needs. The location is great with a Starbucks right next door and lots of restaurants close by. They have 24 hour security and lots of parking . Look forward to staying here every time.

The staff at the hotel were all very friendly. Check in and out was easy and quick. The rooms were clean. The restaurant was affordable and kid friendly and the free breakfast was a great for the whole family!!

Great place to stay if you don't care about extreme cleanliness. We Stayed in the jacuzzi suit and there was rock hard pizza crust under the heater. Little more attention should go into cleaning the really expensive rooms

The hotel is located only minutes away from the boat launch on the Fraser river. Ample parking for truck and boat (as long as there isn't a grumpy film crew taking up space). Rooms were clean and updated. Stay on the third floor as you can park in the back and enter directly onto your floor. Luggage racks would have been nice for packing in gear from a days fishing. If you have your own gear and don't want to leave it in the truck, ask for a room close to the third floor entrance. Fog pub attached has good food.

The staff were amazing, very professional and friendly . Great value, definitely will return to this property The breakfast was enjoyable. I would recommend this hotel to other guests without hestitation and look forward to returning.

4 of us stayed here for a girls getaway. The rooms were clean an comfortable. The cleaning staff were very personable. The hotel offers a complimentary breakfast which was excellent. The only downside is the space for breakfast is not very large so the 2nd day there were no tables available. There is a pool, hot tub and sauna. All around a good deal for the price

The Best Western was very removed from the rush of the hustle and bustle of the city. However, it was clean and staff were friendly. The King bed was very comfortable and the room was large. Lastly the room service servers were polite and kind. I would recommend this hotel for a relaxing stay or lay over before going into Vancouver.

The whole experience was outstanding: staff, room, breakfast - especially the staff they were so friendly and helpful. I will be coming back to this hotel for sure. There were 5 of us in the Jacuzzi Suite and we were impressed by the room.

Some work needed to get this old girl up to a standard. Rooms were tired and in need of some renos. Fitness facility only slightly larger than a pair of closets. Attached restaraunt was very good, hope they now work on the rooms.

Nice room, clean and quiet. Comfortable bed! No issues with the hotel service. We had a room on the front which had a great view. The pool is on the first floor and the attached restaurant can be accessed directly from the hotel which is very convenient especially in bad weather. The staff are friendly and helpful. Would recommend this hotel and would stay there again!

The staff was really helpful and friendly and I would stay there again unfortunately the restaurant went out of business but there is a pretty good restaurant just down the street a short 4 minute walk

Very nice hotel, with a good location close to everything in the lower mainland. You are about a hour and half from airport and ferry terminals in Vancouver. Close to grocery shopping, and a few restaurants. Our room was a kitchenette and needs a little attention with the kitchen supplies. There was one pot and one spoon and the rest of the utensils need to be checked and updated. Other than that the room was comfortable and clean. The hotel is on the #7 Highway so can be a little loud int he morning but all in all not too bad. Nothing that you don't hear at other hotels. Very quiet at night so sleep was good.

You can tell the hotel is well managed, with great care for customers. Room is very clean with thoughtful touches. Breakfast takes place at a nicely renovated cafe like room and is very enjoyable with a very happy and friendly lady who helps with the food, and boiling hot water for your tea and oatmeals. Highly recommended.

The hotel was clean and the rooms are spacious. Breakfast was awesome and the staff was kind. Our family evacuated for hurricane Matthew. Even though we were far away from the storm our house wasn't. The breakfast ladies turned on the weather channel every morning for us to check for updates. It was the little extra kindness was so appreciated. Stay here! It's close to everything and the staff is wonderful!

We stayed here for three nights during our visit to Fraser Valley and Vancouver. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was big and comfortable, well equipped. We used the pool and jacuzzi the first night after a long drive. It was wonderful. The breakfast was sufficient and definitely gets you going. We would recommend this hotel and gladly stay again.

This was just a quick 1 night stopover, but this is a very nice hotel, the room was well appointed, including an iron, ironing board, in room coffee, comfortable beds and air conditioning. I would highly recommend staying here, especially for the price, breakfast and overall value.

Would never sleep here again. The dirt and hair n the corners of the room, under the bed and rugs were disgusting. Leaking under the bathroom sink. Questionable if the bedding was even clean. Watched staff come in to the breakfast bar to load up their plates while the buffet was still on.

Everything you could ask. Clean, comfortable rooms with fridge and microwave. Large pool with jacuzzi. Excellent restaurant on site. Good breakfast with lots of choice, impressive waffle machine and chance to sit on sunny terrace.

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights solely due its proximity to Mission Raceway Park. Pros -Very short drive to Mission Raceway Park (only a few minutes) -Free parking -Free breakfast (scrambled eggs, sausages, waffles, yoghurt, bagels, bread, pastries, muffins, limited fruit, apple juice, coffee, tea) -Free WiFi - it worked fine -Microwave and fridge in room -Self serve laundry room -Indoor pool and hot tub -Friendly front desk staff -Need room card key to enter hotel's rear entrance Cons -Upon entering our assigned room it did not smell very fresh. -Very unpleasant odour in shower/tub. Spouse thought it was mildew. Shower curtain smelled horrible. -Noisy air conditioner Note: You will hear the race cars if there are races going on. This did not bother me at all but may not be appreciated by some.

Everything at this hotel exceeded our expectations and we would not hesitate to stay here again! The beds were super comfortable, pool and hot tub were great, breakfast was delicious and the BEST sausages loved by my entire family.

Excellent room! It was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was reasonably priced, given the hotel's proximity to Vancouver. We definitely enjoyed our stay and will return in the near future.

Great check-in staff, fair rates, pool and hot tub open until 11pm and a full bar and restaurant in the hotel! Great location to go fishing with the best Mission charter: Lang's Fishing Adventure. Our sturgeon was just shy of 10 feet, and really enjoyed the strong jets in the spa when we got back from the river (less than 10 minutes away). Terrific free breakfast too: Hot eggs, waffles and sausage too. Free parking and great location. Highly recommended for sure!

we were guests there on july14,2016. check in was quick and our room was very nice and clean with a small outside patio. the beds were very comfortable and the pool looked nice, although I didn't use it.The breakfast was very good with eggs, sausages, omlets and enough food to fill us up. r3fridge and microwave in our room. we paid 154 canadian dollars. overall, a very good experience

This was a very clean hotel, with exceptionally helpfull staff. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. It was nice to have a restaurant / bar to kick back at and not have to drive anywhere. My family visited the pool area a couple times a day and enjoyed themselves there as well. A convenient office centre where I could print some documents for no extra cost was also apreciated. I highly recommend this facility.

Although little to choose from in Mission, the Best Western on the Lougheed Hwy., is pretty typical. Average rooms, smallish breakfast buffet. To access the breakfast room, you need to go outside, down a short path, then inside again.

The staff at this location is wonderful, friendly and really do go the extra mile for you! The continental b-fast is by far the best one I have ever had. I have traveled for business all over and their breakfast was GREAT! I would recommend this hotel because of staff and b-fast

We had a short but sweet hotel stay at this hotel. Rooms were comfortable, spacious and clean. The staff provided great customer service. The rooms had a fridge and a microwave which was very convenient. There are a lot of restaurants, pizza places and grocery stores nearby. The continental breakfast was good as it had a wide variety of options. The hotel says it's open until 10:00 a.m. but they start cleaning up before that so make sure you arrive earlier.

We enjoyed our stay. The Front Desk Staff were very accommodating and friendly, very helpful. The Housekeeping Staff were very polite, friendly and also very courteous. We also enjoyed the Continental breakfast and the Staff were also very nice and friendly. The Hotel was very central for our needs and close to all ameniteis.

This hotel faces a very busy 4 lane road, with a loud motor race way behind it on the other side. The noise level in the room 24/7 was too high to sleep. It was especially bad on Fri. and Sat. night do to the drag racing. The hotel was fine except for the noise. Would not stay here, nor recommend.

This hotel was a great get way. We had amazing hotel staff they were quick and so very helpful. My children loved having a pool and hot tub at the end of a busy day. We loved the amenities they were so close to our location. It was very quiet location.

This hotel is well located, just of the highway. It provides quick access to major highways going to Vancouver. Breakfast center opens early is the morning for a quick bite before moving on with the day.

It is just ok. The phone didn't work. The dryer wasn't working. Lobby computer was very slow. Hallways need proper vacuum. Bath tub had paint stain. Breakfast timings are wrong, all best westerns serve weekend from 7-11 but they had 6-10. Rooms are nice and clean.

Great value hotel. Nice pool, sauna and hot tub. Delicious hearty breakfast. Nice restaurant on site. The hotel is right on Lougheed Hwy though, so if you are looking for a great view, this is not the hotel for you! But if you are looking for a good value hotel, somewhere to relax and want to drive somewhere for the day, then stay here. We drove to Jones Lake, and Othello tunnels in hope. We had a great time!

We were able to sleep a family of 5 comfortably even with the extra cot in the room - we had #126 - a kitchenette room. It was nice to have the pool on site. The staff were very helpful and cleaning personnel cleaned up under the sofa that we had to move promptly. We were in town for a wedding and when we wanted to go to a public pool with the others we were permitted to use the pool towels (which we brought back of course!)

Always excellent good location on major highway to the west coast [Vancouver, B.C.] and connections to Vancouver Island and Victoria. Quiet property with good services options in the area. Shopping Resturants , public travel connections throughout the lower mainland ob British Columbia . Good climate and ample recreation options...

It is what it is. Not much else to choose from around here. It is pretty clean and probably the norm for Best Western. The restaurant in the hotel is ok too. Not much above the norm here. Same old same old........ Superstore across the street if you need groceries. Lots of other restaurants close. Not sure if they have a pool. Tried to rent a banquet room here once, was overpriced.

Great location for what I needed. The downside was a carpet deodorizer that was used prior to my arrival. The strong flowery smell made my eyes burn... turned the air conditioner on and used some essential oils in peppermint and lavender that helped! Coffee pot was not clean? Room was comfortable though and the breakfast in the morning was a treat!

We enjoyed a comfortable and quiet stay at the Mission Best Western PLUS Hotel. We could only stay the one night but would stay here again. We enjoyed a comfortable and clean room, multiple pillows, good bed, soft and large towels, and a decent array of amenities. The hotel features a pool and workout room and is good value for the money. We also received a free breakfast with a good variety of food including fruit, yogurt, cereals, breads, waffles, sausages and eggs.

We stayed at this hotel recently, under sad circumstances, and the staff made everything much easier for us. They handled mass checkins, they handled sad (dare I say grouchy) people as they arrived for a celebration of life service, and they did it all with a smile. The rooms were exceptionally clean, and nicer than expected - and it's the little things like this that make a difference !

Visited Mission for 3 nights and stayed at the Best Western Plus Mission location. Centrally located to both Chilliwack and Vancouver along Lougheed Highway, making getting around quick and easy, while staying away from the busy Vancouver centre. Well situated in the middle of amenities and other services.

My husband has already written a review about how the hotel "lost" our camera on their facebook page, but I am hoping that if enough people see this we will be able to get our camera back, or at least get the word out about what happened. We forgot our camera at the hotel, it was turned into the front desk given a number, cataloged and placed in the lost and found. This camera is the one that my husband and I used to document everything of our first sons birth. The first weighing, the bath, the delivery, the hospital, everything. The first time he stood up in his crib, and crawled, literally everything. When we went to the front desk the camera had been mysteriously displaced. The t-shirt and flip flops that were found on the same day were still there, cataloged and number, but our camera was no where to be found. After three days of the manager "asking all the staff" if they had seen it or knew where it could be we were told that "either one of your family members picked it up (which none of them did, we asked everyone), or ONE OF THEIR EMPLOYEES took it." then the manager, Mr. Chester Huan, proceeded to tell my husband that he allows the employees to take things, like toys and "things that don't matter", out of the box if they ask, but he would "never let them take something like a camera". Every time that my husband has gone into the hotel to talk to him he has offered to pay for the camera and we have told him time and time again that we don't care about the camera, we can buy a new one we just want the pictures. A police report was filed but the cops couldn't do anything because "there was no proof" and going to the hotel would be pointless because they have a "good relationship". Furthermore, we called their claim line and we were told they could not do anything because we had filed a police report. Ummm sorry, what did you expect us to do when we were getting no cooperation from the management. So I guess all in all we are just disheartened that the place would take something so irreplaceable to us, and even after we came to claim it, not return it. I am not going to say don't stay here, because you probably will, and If I were to be completely honest the rest of our stay was great. I just wish we had not lost the camera.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights. It is not a great location if you are on foot and it can be quite noisy depending on which side of the hotel you are on. The room was clean, but we had a broken toilet that kept running. It had to be fixed several times throughout our stay. Though the pool is okay, the fitness centre is minuscule. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Winston, the canine host, was perfect.

This hotel is upgrading and doing alot of renos. The pub is always good and the lady the runs the breakfast buffet goes above and beyond, A+. As a diamond club member I frequent Best Westerns alot and have stayed here many times. This is the first time I have ever asked to change rooms. I politely indicated that the room I had was not up to BW standards, let alone plus. I was given a new room but nobody asked what the issues were. Very disappointing. Room was not adequately cleaned or inspected. Replacement was good but customer service has slipped a bit. Still the best hotel in Mission but Abbotsford is not that far.

We had a great time. Great stay! Great staff. Wonderful stay. Given it was my niece's wedding we were attending and then getting the opportunity to have an early check in made the difference. Very helpful staff. Over and above service.

Had the choice to stay in a number of near by Best Western hotels, but we had never been to Mission so decided to go there. The executive rooms are just off the elevator by the noisy ice machine. The room was very large, one chesterfield, desk with steno chair; no chair, no small dining table. The fireplace is electric (no crackling sound) and in the daytime seemed to give a cheap atmosphere but at night gave a wonderful ambiance to the room without adding extra needless heat. There are no instructions anywhere on how to use it so you have to do some searching on the unit to figure out how to turn it on. Bed hard like the floor - my husband who never complains about a hard bed could not sleep on it so that says a lot. Carmen Kanapathy, the manager, said that the beds are to BW's standards. We have stayed at many Best Westerns, some with comfy beds, others just manageable but NEVER one we both could not sleep on. Never have stayed in Abbotsford BW, stayed in Langley and some have complained that their beds are hard but we both were able to sleep on them. Unless you love very hard beds, keep on driving. Our room had a huge balcony with the view of the satellite dish and two cheap plastic chairs - not very inviting. The bathroom has a separate shower and bathtub. Best room in the suite. I was going to privately tell the manager about one of the towels being all ragged but Carmen did not provide an email to write to (just a no-reply email address); so I am not sure if this is one that just slipped through or if rooms other than the executive room receive this standard of towels.

This hotel has begun a program of updating. The room was on the front of the building and facing the road and rail track, nevertheless there was minimum noise to disturb our good night's rest. Parking was good ementary breakfast required a trip outside in a cold stormy morning - not too inviting. There was limited choices for the breakfast but it did include waffles and pre-made breakfast sandwich from the 'warming' cabinet and yogourt. The bed was very comfortable and internet access excellent. Some in room maintenance was required and a kettle and drinking glasses were requested since they were not provided as standard. Though the hotel provided a good place to stay it fell short of other Best Western Plus facilities in which we have stayed.

Disgusting bedbugs! I had over 60 bites! All the manager would do is offer a two day voucher to stay at his gross hotel! Non transferable and I had to use it within 6 months. DO NOT STAY HERE. Absolutely no concern over my pain and suffering, no offer to help me get clothes that weren't infested. No offer to reimburse me for my prescription medications I had to get!

Stay here on occasion by necessity as there aren't many hotels in the area. It's billed as Best Western "Plus" but the rooms are not that great and the ones facing the hill side are small and don't smell great, We asked to be moved but got a lot of attitude from the day manager. As someone who travels a lot for work and play, and is a gold member at other chains, this is very disappointing. The Montreal Best Western "Plus" should be an example to this location.

We stayed at this Hotel along with other friends and family members for a wedding and found it truly enjoyable and relaxing. We were surprised when we went for the free breakfast the next morning and got waffles cooked to order along with a variety of delicious breakfast items.Will always come back when in this area

This is a comfortable upmarket motel with a pleasant bar and restaurant, indoor pool and gym. It is situated over the Fraser bridge from highway 1 and has distant views of the Fraser river and Mount Baker. A good place to stopover if tired and approaching Vancouver from the East, or if starting off in the evening going West on 1. The staff on reception are very helpful. The restaurant was a bit quiet at times. We stayed so we could fish the Stave River which has (moderately difficult) public access, about 8 minutes drive away. There is a good "brewpub" in walking distance for beer drinkers. It is on a busy main road, but has good sound insulation.

We travelled by bicycle and showed up unannounced after a day riding from Vancouver. We received a warm welcome and a nice large comfortable room on the second floor, and our bikes received a secure storage space right in the back of the foyer. The hotel has a restaurant with good food (and good quantities for hungry bicyclists like us). The room was great, with two Queen size beds, which were very comfortable, a large TV and a great shower. They also have free continental breakfast, which was very decent. I also saw a nice sized indoor pool; unfortunately I was too tired to try it out. I definitely recommend staying at this Best Western Plus.

We moved from our original room by our request because of what I believe was cigar and cigarette smoke. The room given to us was dusty. The bathroom is worn and dated. The toilet is for small children, it is so low to the ground that you could hurt yourself trying to use it. The tub water spout was not affixed properly and the tub was too small for a bath. No rubber mat was supplied for the tub and made for a very slippery situation when soap rinsed to the bottom of the tub . Overall I was disappointed with the lack of business care for the needs of running a hotel. More care and attention is needed to make a successful business.

Staff was amazing and extremely helpful.The food was very good. Beds were comfortable and even though our room faced the highway it was extremely quiet. Only issue was with laundry.I would definitely stay here again

The lobby looks really nice. The pool was very clean and well maintained. My room smelled stail and smoked in previously. However, I did not mention it or complain. Their was a very clear patch job on the ceiling above my bed. The room was functional and in working order. The place had breakfest included in the rate, but I didn't try it. But with how the breakfest room was setup, you had to go outside and enter another door from the outside. The resturant was good. Just not much on the menu I liked. It appeared to be a local watering hole where people liked to go drink. The checkout girl was top notch and really nice. Is this place my first choice? No. Would I stay again? Yes.

Spent 3 nights at the hotel this summer. Excellent service, great location and clean spacious room. The restaurant had good food and friendly staff. I would recommend this hotel for business or pleasure.

Slept well and had no complaints or issues while our 2 days spent at this Best Western. Front desk staff along with the housekeeping department, were very courteous and informative. Loved the convenient location and the restaurant food was excellent!
