« Good Location- Great bed »

This was a road trip overnight stop. Easy access to and from interstate. Generally would prefer inside vs outside access to rooms but this was safe, secure and comfortable. This was and extremely comfortable bed, best of entire trip. Definitely will stay again when traveling in the area

    « A Nice One Night Hotel »

Nice enough for one night ... price was nice but the hotel did not "blow me away." I had low-pressure hot water in the outer faucet and the bathroom was quite small, otherwise, the BED was excellent. I would stay again for an overnight trip though.

    « Nice place »

Very nice front desk staff. We were exhausted and she was great. It is in a busy area and the rooms were outside access but it was reasonably quiet during the night. We had a large room and comfortable bed. We also felt safe and this is important. We will stay here again.

    « halfway to FL »

I stayed here 2 more single nights on the way from NJ to FL and back. It is right around halfway to Disney. The problem with the exterior doors to rooms is that there are flies in the rooms and it seems impossible to avoid. On both stops, they put up a sign for NO VACANCY. The first night, wifi would not stream but on the return trip it would. Breakfast is nothing special like a Hampton but they are friendly and attentive. I stay here because it is a very fair price, easy access to Rt 95 and rooms are clean. For a one night stay, this is perfect and the rooms are fairly spacious.

« Will be back when in area »

Kudos to these folks. They were hit by Hurricane Matthew about 10 or 11 days before I arrived and just got water back the day of my arrival. Think they had power for about 2 days but still managed to take care of the quest and even had breakfast for us. I thank all the staff and I will be back when I am in this area for sure.....

    « A Nice Stop »

This was our second visit to this facility, and again we were just passing through, so only stayed one night. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The facilities meet our requirements of being fully handicapped accessible, including a roll-in shower. The breakfast is rather typical for today's ?continental breakfast,? and is certainly adequate. The room, public facilities and breakfast area are kept very clean, and we can recommend this hotel. We were in Lumberton only a couple of days prior to the arrival of Hurricane Matthew. From news reports, the area was badly flooded, and even highway I-95 was under water for several days, so I have no idea how the Best Western fared. Hopefully, none of the personnel were injured.

    « Horrible experience »

Took so long to sign in because couldn't find our reservations. Wanted to charge us again. Still didn't return our money. The mattress was horrible, the bathroom floor was wet when we got there. We stayed in 5 hotels during our trip, this was the worse. Never again Back and forth between TripAdvisor and best western, never again.

    « Great Hotel »

Nice place to stay and very convenient for the project we were working on. I would strongly recommend this hotel and if ever in the area again we will be back. Clean and the service was great the rooms were very comfortable GREAT PLACE !!!

    « Love this place »

Excellent mid way point when traveling the East Coast.Easy to find when exiting I-95 Excellent value Clean rooms. Good tasty breakfast. Friendly staff. Lot's of options for dinner meals in the Lumberton Area.

    4
    « Very cordial stay »

The staff I came in contact with were all extremely nice and welcoming. Albeit an outside property the room was well kept, clean and everything was in working order. I had an accessible ADA room and had to deal with the cheap shower wand, which wasn't too bad. The thing that stood out was having to sign on to the WIFI every hour or so. That's more the service providers issue though. But, the bed was reasonably comfortable, the pillows were fluffy and had good hot water.

    « Good Little Hotel »

Okay I admit, I'm a hotel snob. I like the crisp white linens and heavenly beds. I was not excited about staying here but we had our dogs with us and needed a place to stay as we traveled North on 95. This hotel is not fancy, but was extremely clean, the bed was not fancy but very comfortable and clean. Very Pet friendly. The employees were very friendly and our rate included breakfast. This was very affordable and I think an excellent value. I do recommend this hotel.

    « Nice Place & Pet Friendly »

Upgraded BW, better than most. Needed a pet friendly hotel with cat found pretty clean and comfortable. Beds good and shower hot. Breakfast typical but well done. Would recommend for short stay with pets.

« Another good night at BW »

Friendly check in/check out (Brenda). Great breakfast, lots to choose from. Every staff member I encountered greeted me pleasantly. The room was very clean and spaceous. Plenty of places to eat nearby and good prices at the local gas stations. If I stay in this area again this will be my choice.

    « Roach Motel »

The last two times we stayed at the Lumberton Best Western we had to fight off roaches in our beds and room. Left very early in the am to get away from them. We gave an email report of the problem and only received the online review and survey to fill out. This was a very poor way to connect with us about our problem. We will not be returning to this location even though we have been staying there for a number of years.

    5
    « Great!!! »

Very impressed with the nice room, especially since it is a pet friendly motel! Spacious room with separated living area, great bed, lots of green space to walk the dog! One of the best I've stayed at. Great find that I only picked because it was mid-way on our trip. Will definitely stay there again!

    5
« Clean and Comfortable - wonderful valule »

This Best Western surprised me. Since we were traveling with our dog, we were concerned the rooms would show wear and tear, and possibly smell bad. Quite the opposite. The room was impeccably clean and had no bad odor at all. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast very good. Overall, a very satisfying stay and I will stay there again.

« very clean a great place to stay with pets »

TripAdvisor did a good job. we stopped with 2 little dogs .going to FL.in aug and we stopped going back home in sept. to n.j the room was clean and big the staff was excellent the breakfast was excellent It was 1 min off rt 95 plenty of restaurants and it had a clean pool.

« Best Two Diamond I've Stayed At----- »

Based on previous review, we stayed here and were pleasantly surprised! The initial impressions wasn't great, however, as the parking lot was full of work trucks and the building was very plain. We had to wait in the check-in line for quite a while as the poor check-in lady was having problems with the keys. When we finally got to our room, it was spotless and everything seemed like it had recently been refreshed. I was pleased and surprised to see a separate light in the shower (even our resort room at the Marriott Barony Beach in Hilton Head didn't have that - see separate review). The A/C was quite and we could actually set the temperature. The bed was extremely comfortable. This was the opposite experience to the one we had on our return trip staying at the BW in Emporia, VA (see review). I would definitely stay here again

« Will return when in this area »

I have stayed here multiple times and will return when I am in this area. Love they have smoking rooms available and I noticed they are also pet friendly too for those folks who have pets. Had issue with internet connection but the staff got me on phone with tech and they took care of me.

    5
    « Great place »

The room was in perfect condition and the bed was mad comfortable. Loved this place. It is close to everything and you don't have to drive. The front desk woman was as nice as pie and even sweeter than a pie. Great place to stay!!

    « Nice Hotel »

Very nice hotel. I stayed here on a road trip South. The room was clean and the area quiet. Perfect for a good nights sleep while on the road. The staff were very helpful and efficient.I would stay here again.

    « Very nice »

What a very nice hotel. We reserved a king sized bed and the room was very big . It was clean and very comfortable. When we checked in they told us that they also offer a breakfast but because we arrived so late in the evening we over slept and missed it. So I can't tell you what was offered. We would stay here again.

    « Great place! »

Great staff, great room, great breakfast, great value! This site requires that II must have 200 characters minimum, even though I was able to get my point across in a concise manner. I hope this does it!

« Great place to stay »

We had to change our plans due to car trouble and stop in Lumberton. We called ahead for reservations for an ADA room never expecting to find one, especially one that would accept us with our dog. Best Western was had availability with only a slight charge for our dog. We were thrilled to see the room. The front desk staff offered to help us with our bags, but it was not necessary since we had a first floor room and could park right outside the entrance to our room. It was a large room with plenty of space for both my mobility scooter and our 70lb. Royal Standard Poodle. He was able to stretch out on his own bed (we bring it with us) in comfort. The king size bed was comfortable and the bathroom was appropriately equipped with a roll in shower, shelf space, turn around space, etc. Most ADA rooms in hotels are passed off as such by putting a couple of grab bars up and eliminating the cabinet under the sink. This Best Western did it right. Other hotels put a single double bed in the room, they made the room large enough for a king sized bed. The bars were all there, too. This was one of the best ADA rooms I have stayed in since the enactment of the law.

    5
    « Very Clean »

We are an older couple so a nice clean room is important to us, our room and bathroom was very clean. We didn't have a reservation so were thankful when there was a handicap room available on the first floor that we could just back the car up to the room and unload. Excellent service, we will stay there again.

    5
    « Most Improved »

This Best Western is the most improved hotel that I have encountered on I-95 traveling between Philadelphia and Florida. Most hotels on I-95 obviously cater to customers that are one time visitors only. Does run down sound familiar? This recently renovated hotel breaks the mold. Great rooms, great price, great breakfast and pet friendly!

    5
    « family visit »

every thing perfect. Beds could be a bit more comfortable, however, no other complaints. parking lot well lit. well displayed and presentation of breakfast. however, as stated bed mattress could be updated. located near restaurants, shopping . close to exit and entrance ramps of I-95

« Nice fine for last mintue reservation »

Needed to find a hotel while traveling from Florida to Baltimore for a break. Also needed handicap easability and pet friendly. Called to check rate and talked with the nice desk clerk who handled all questions which helped in our decision to book with them. Got there and common spaces nicely done and clean along with guest room. Front desk helpful and pleasant. Pool just right for a cool off dip. Will put it on our "go to place" when we make our trip through out the year. Oh and nice choice of restaurants close by. Only one small suggestion is to put a bit higher wattage light bulbs in room for those with older eyes.??

    « Nice peaceful night »

Again, I was on the road from Miami to NYC. This time to deliver my work for my solo exhibition in Brooklyn. I was loaded down with paintings, photographs, drawings and equipment. I was simply beat. It got dark so quickly and it seemed like every bad driver was on my tail flashing lights, and I drive fast. So, I decided I was too tired and loosing my patience. I came upon the town of Lumberton. It looked like an interesting area and wished I could have spent two nights to check out the scenery. It was late spring so it was quite green and lush. I know I'll go back and explore the are again one day. However, the night I was there was simply wonderful. The front desk was nice, professional, friendly and extremely helpful. The bed was comfy, room was clean and the environment was pleasant. Great place to spend a night or two and go out exploring.

    5
« Greatly improved Best Western »

Spotless throughout, very pleasant decor, helpful staff, and decent hot breakfast. This is a new Best Western approach to the motel business and significantly changed our opinion about the brand. Superior value for the room, and took our 9 pound dog.

« A Great Place to Stay with Plenty of Restaurants in the Neighborhood. »

Clean, quiet room, friendly and helpful staff and a good breakfast . . . wonderful travel value. Lots of restaurants nearby and easy on / off for I-95. We have stayed here many times on our way back and forth between Florida and Connecticut.

    5
« Clean with great parking, Very friendly staff and just a good location. »

Plenty of restaurants in the area to choose from. Eat in or take it back to your room and watch the nice huge flat screen TV while dining. Yes they have free HBO and a bunch of regular channels. Yes they have a swimming pool. Yes they provide a free breakfast and Yes I will stay there again.

    « Unexpected gem »

Traveling north from Georgia it was time for me to stop for the night. I found my self in lumberton NC. Luckily there was a best western there! I had no reservation but luckily they had a few rooms left. Unfortunately they were on the second floor and no elevator. But the climb was worth it as the room was awesome. Just like the pictures ! Bed was comfy TV was a big flat screen. But most importantly. The employees working there were simply amazing!! Kitt , madalyne, and the beautiful Kelly. They all made me feel welcome! I will stay here again on my way south!

    4
    « Pleasantly Surprised ! »

This Best Western came through with flying colors! Except for the noise from Parking lot in close by Lowes I would have rated it a 5! Very clean and recently updated. Highly recommend and will return next year from our drive back from CT to Florida. Just stayed 1 night on August 15th, very close to many restaurants!

    5
    « BEST Best Western »

This place is fantastic. If your looking just stop and stay here. It is great. Absolutely the best Italian food delivery I have ever experienced. Rooms and staff are wonderful. Pool was very clean. Lobby was impressive. Breakfast was the best I have ever had. Just wish they put fitted bottom sheets on those really thick mattresses.

    « Very Good!!! »

Booked here with the dog as our usual stop In Fayettville was overbooked. Very nice room, breakfast and easy on and off 95. The Friday evening front staff lady was - Perfect & Wonderful! Got us the room needed and told us about the Smithfield BBQ place right across the street for dinner which was GREAT! No problems at all and would stay again happily.

« Solo lady with dogs »

I had a terra experience with this hotel, so much so that I think it will be my go to hotel for future trips to florida. I have 2 dogs and one is aggressive with strangers. By calling ahead I ensured a room on the ground floor in the back and it worked our perfectly. The hotel called and confirmed my reservation the day we were arriving and the area in the back leads to open grass where my dogs had no problems with spontaneous interactions with other people and dogs. The hotel is located near restaurants, a Home Depot, and a Walmart... All in walking distance. Also, at night it was quiet and we weren't disturbed by outside noises. Breakfast is also included and there is a pool if you'd like to swim.

« Terrific Dog Friendly Place »

We stayed here August 5, 2016 and had a great experience. Traveling with a Senior dog we called ahead and asked for a room on ground level. When we arrived we were pleased with a clean, cool, ground level room. The staff were polite and very friendly. The room was large with marble upgrades, microwave, and fridge. .Another plus it was near a grassy lawn. Thank you to the Best Western Lumberton!

    4
« It was a pleasure after a long day of travel. »

Very positive experience for both me and my pet. The room was is excellent condition, smelled clean with a comfortable bed and clean bathroom. Very helpful staff! I arrived later than was expected and they assisted me in getting something to eat.

« Not Best Western Quality »

This hotel was very disappointing. It is quite run down and could use more than a coat of paint to bring it up to Best Western standards. We also had a drunk man knocking on our door 3 different times during the evening. This made my daughter and I feel unsafe.

    4
    « Satisfactory »

We stayed overnight while traveling from NY to FL. We found this hotel to be convenient from the highway with places nearby to grab a quick dinner. Our room was adequate although smelled faintly of cigarette smoke. Overall, the hotel was very clean, the staff was very friendly, check in and out was easy, and the complimentary breakfast was perfect for our early start the next day.

    5
    « great stay »

I was so pleased walking into this room. It was inviting, clean, big. I believe it was newly renovated and I hope they keep it nice. We brought a dog and I didn't feel she was sleeping on a disgusting rug as in other places. I slept well feeling that the room was clean. Breakfast was good. Waffles, eggs, sausage, along with cereals and bagels. We will definitely stay here again.

    3
    « ?Questionable? »

Somewhat disappointed in my stay at this Best Western. Easy to get to off interstate. Room was clean and comfortable, with beds, sofa, frig and microwave. Breakfast great. Staff was goodOnly problem another guest had his semi-truck run all night outside. Very noisy.

    4
    « Overnight Stay »

Front desk personnel were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice except for pre-cooked eggs. The bed was somewhat soft for me but my wife thought it was fine. The TV was slow to respond to the remote.

    5
    « Great location »

Clean large rooms. The swimming pool was nice on the hot day. Breakfast very good with lots of options. Located near many restaurants, stores, easy on/off the interstate. The staff was very professional and helpful. Pet friendly with a safe area to walk our dog.

    4
    « Exceptional... »

This was our midway stop over for a NJ to Florida trip. Check in was great, Kit the desk clerk was incredibly nice. Room was immaculate and bed very comfortable. Brenda at the front desk in the morning was very sweet. Actually both front desk people Kit and Brenda are just who you want to encounter when traveling. If we do this trip again we will stay here for sure just ask for a room NOT facing Walmart. Not that bad but there is a bit of traffic noise from their parking lot nearby. The most important factor that can't be minimized is the room was the absolute cleanest . Kudos to the staff at this Best Western.

    5
« This is a 10 star hotel if ever there was one ! »

I stayed with family here. We had two rooms. There isn't enough space to tell how amazing it was. I've recently been in Disney and best western of lumberton is beyond better. I'm serious! Get a room here. It's clean, well decorated and friendly. Amazing property. I'll be back. Great value too. We used our AAA rate.

    5
    « Another great stay »

We have been coming to this Best Western for 4 years, about 4 times a year for a weekend. The staff Is great, rooms are big and comfy. Many dining options within walking distance. Right off I-95 Staff called us when we were not checked it at 7pm to make sure we were ok. A great find

    5
« Will be back when in area for sure. »

First time at this location but have stayed at many other locations across NC, SC and GA. My experience was very good and I will be back to this location when I am in the area for sure. Very clean. Friendly staff. The breakfast attendant(Angel?)was very nice and helpful.

« Such Value for the Price! »

I would highly recommend this property if making the drive between Florida and the Northeast. This (pet friendly) hotel was clean and comfortable and has everything anyone could need within walking distance including a Walmart and many restaurants. What a great hotel.

« Nice Location for a stop over! »

Travelling from Dc to Savannah. We usually split up the drive to give the kids a break and decided to try this hotel. The area is great for a stop over since it's right off the freeway and has plenty of places to eat and pick up the stuff that all families forget to pack or run out of on family trips. We booked a non-smoking room and when we checked in they had a great room near the pool on the first floor. The room smelled so badly of smoke that even the kids complained. We couldn't tell what was worse the smoke or the stuff they have to use to try and deodorize. My husband went back to the front desk and they had found us another room immediately right next to the first room. A person from the hotel also called housekeeping right way because even before we unpacked the rest of the car they were working on the problem room. I have never seen a hotel work that fast in ages. And then best yet they called us about 20 minutes to make sure we were settled and to find out if the new room what we were looking for. Awesome customer service. Breakfast was fine. Husband loved the waffles. Kids love cereal. Enough of a meal to make it to lunch The only downsides were the pool maintance -- a lot of leaves and dirt at the bottom of the pool-- and the kids in the room above us yelling, screaming and jumping from what we could only guess was the beds to the floor. Eventually they stopped and so it wasn't a big deal. I know they are working on replacing many items because the day we were leaving about 20 sofa sleepers were shrink wrapped and being delived to the king bed rooms. This room is great for families with kids that need to a place to stretch out and relax in comfort after the close quarters of a mid-sized ride.

    « Vacation »

The hotel was very clean and the staff was very helpful, this was not the first time and both times it has been a positive experience. The value is very good and the location is very good, the nearby restaurants are with-in walking distance. Very good value.

« Reliable and Clean After a LONG Drive - Hassel Free »

The check in was so easy; very nice after a long drive from NJ heading south to Florida. I traveled with my two small dogs - paid a nominal fee per dog. The room was already so cool and comfortable upon entry, clean room with all the appropriate amenities available and easy to find, plenty of space with a sitting area at the front of the room, a table to do business and available lighting if needed.

    5
    « Impeccable »

One night stay on our way back to Florida from New York. We got call from Alice confirming we needed a crib on the room and approximate time of arrival. Room was clean and fresh, amenities were in order and check in was quick and professional. Thanks Tara for confirming any needs at the desk. Your smile at the end of a long travel day was especially nice. The Room was perfect. The staff and management of this hotel could show the best western of battlebourough how to keep guests coming back! We usually go out of our way to stay at this Best Western. So far we have been here 8 or 9 times Angel at the breakfat area was once again a professional at recognizing guest needs and assisting them. Great ecperience.

    2
    « Beware »

First off when we got there after making reservations 2 months in advance they threw us on the second floor with a handicap person that couldn't get up the stairs knowing but second we get into the room and it smells completely of smoke even though all rooms are supposed to be non-smoking we figure out why because everybody smokes out in front of the doors and what happens is all the smoke comes in the air conditioning goes into the room the noise and that place was crazy the bathroom was disgusting so no I would never stay in this hotel ever again

    5
« Great Hotel on the way to/from FL »

We stayed here on the way back from FL after a long day's drive. The front clerk was extremely helpful in checking us in and answering our questions, got us an extra blanket and made sure we were comfortable. Our room was clean and spacious for 4 people with 2 comfortable queen beds (much nicer than those tiny full beds at other hotels!) The area by the door and window had been made into a sitting area with a sofa, coffee table, work desk for a computer and an executive type office chair. There was a nice microwave and nice sized mini fridge. This was within walking distance of Chick-fil-a and other restaurants, as well as Walmart and Lowes. The breakfast was good with a nice selection of cereals, donuts, toast, waffles, eggs, sausage, coffee and juices. Would like the option of running the fan on the cooling unit even if the compressor isn't running. it gets very stuffy in the room at night with 4 people sleeping and snoring away!

« Great hotel for traveling with pet dog »

Very clean hotel which will take dogs, We were charged a $10/ night fee for having the dog with us. No hotel smells which was awesome, no mold, cigarette, odd smells. Greatly appreciated. The breakfast had bananas, peanut butter, bacon, sausage, good orange juice and OK coffee. It worked for us. Will make this our go to hotel while we travel between NYC and Miami

    « A Great Slumber in Lumberton! »

If you are looking for a well-run hotel, with courteous staff, clean room, very comfy beds and all at a great price, then the Best Western Hotel in Lumberton, NC. is for you. We checked in in late evening almost 10pm!) with no prior reservation and we were given a good room and quick, friendly service. My husband and I ONLY stay at Best Western hotels - mainly because we know that we can depend on them for good, clean rooms, comfy beds, excellent amenities (FREE breakfast!) AND friendly service - always with a smile (and a smile goes a long way with us these days!) During our one night stay, they were in the process of brand signage change and some renovations, but it really didn't negatively impact our brief stay at all. We were so tired from driving from northern NJ that day, on our way to Key West, FL., for our 25th Anniversary, that we slept very soundly. :) A GREAT hotel for a great price!

    5
« great location and great value »

Tons of great eating establishments within walking distance plus the convenience of a Walmart and a Lowe's (also within walking distance). Staff really gave us a southern charm welcome and had answers for all our questions about attractions and venues in and near Lumberton as well as Myrtle Beach. No noise, no disturbances, no hassles. VERY nice breakfast with a better than average selection. Everything you want in a moderately priced hotel!

« Perfect stop to rest »

We often travel up and down the East coast and have definitely found a perfect place to stay in NC! During our many stays here we have never been disappointed. The cleanliness of the rooms and friendliness of the staff is outstanding! The breakfast is set out as though you have entered a local breakfast house. The location is perfect for the traveler looking for easy access off and on from I-95.

« Good stop that allows pets »

We stayed here for the first time on our way from FL to NY. I was drawn to the good reviews on Trip Advisor and the fact that they allow pets. The staff was VERY friendly. We arrived late around 10:00, and left at 8:00. The room was clean, and the bed a little lumpy. However, we slept decent because the air was on full blast cold. We did here a few dogs every now and then, and you can sometimes hear the traffic from the street and highway. It's more of a motel feel because all of the rooms are outside. We would stay here again if we brought our dog again. There's also a lot of stores and fast food nearby including a Starbucks!!

    « Nice Property »

We stayed at the Best Western in Lumberton, NC enroute to Myrtle Beach. Our room was clean and roomy. There was a mini-fridge, microwave, and free wifi. The bed was very comfortable. The hot breakfast was very good with a wide verity of items. We'll stay there again!

« Coming and going to Florida »

We have stayed here several times on our travels to and from Florida. They allow dogs which is great for us as we go no where without him. Super staff. Good breakfast bacon, eggs, cereal, waffles all are fresh and good. Will be staying here again.

    « nice stay »

we had a nice and pleasant stay.We stayed in one of the pet friendly rooms. We where very impressed it was very clean and very nice, not like some other pet friendly hotels. The only critique that I have is that there was a $20 fee per pet. :( The staff is very friendly and helpful . The location is very good lots of choices of restaurants around.

    « Excellent Stopover »

At halfway point between NY and FL, the Best Western, Lumberton provides the ideal break for the trip. The accommodations and service are outstanding. We have made this our stopping point for quite a few years, and each stay has been better than the last. We really enjoy the breakfast, and have fun making our own waffles.

    « Lumberton Best Western »

super place to stay.Clean, good food, great staff and rooms. close to rte 95. Starbucks close by, as well as all kinds of places to eat. Directions very clear from staff and they go far out of their way to help. The rooms are very, very clean.

We Stopped at this motel due to seeing roadside adds.We found the room very nice and all of the staff was very friendly. The room was very nice and we will stay again on our trips. They had a great shower and the breakfast was very good, as well as the young ladys working it

    « Dirty rooms »

This facility was smelly, dirty and there were smokers all over in the rooms and out of the rooms. Most business have a designated smoking spot for patrons and it is not in the rooms or directly above the rooms below.

« STAY AT BEST WESTER (LUMBERTON, NC) »

My grandson, mom & I had a wonder stay at this Best Western and was very pleased with the room, the staff, and the service received. The room was spacious & had a living room section that was a pleasant surprise. We did not expect the rooms to be as spacious. We slept comfortable and had a great breakfast. The employee preparing the breakfast items was very sweet and pleasant. She was attentive to all who came to eat breakfast. The staff at check/in and check/out was just as pleasant. We all enjoyed the stay!

    « No emergency lighting »

We were in our room ready to unpack when the area experienced an electricity blackout. The hotel had no emergency lighting system. We had to leave the hotel using our own flashlights. The staff offered no assistance to us or others. This is a danger to all who stay here. We had to find other accommodations for the night.

« One of the Best Best Westerns »

This Best Western not only had great staff that went above and beyond. Asking how our stay was in the morning after and making sure that there was nothing that we needed. They also made sure you were happy with the breakfast and choices provided. It was also very clean and the beds were comfortable. We would definately stay here again.

    « Good Location »

The motel is well situated just off I-95 at exit 22. This exit seemed to have more of the upscaled motels than the more southern Lumberton exits. Right next to the BW motel was a super Walmart. The motel was out of the lower priced coupon book deals. Our room was $100 - more than we usually pay for this annual one night on the road while heading north trek. It was worth it after a 600+ mile hard drive. The room was large with a usual size area for 2 large beds, night stand, dresser, TV and another area for a love seat size couch (not a pull out bed). The shower/tub & toilet area was small but adequate. The sink with hair dryer was outside the toilet area. The small refrigerator did not have a freezer section. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Free newspapers were available. The included breakfast was very good -- yoghurt, bacon, eggs, juice, little muffins, and more. Since we were tired we went to Walmart, bought salads and fruit and returned to "dine" in our couch area. But there were several inviting looking restaurants within walking distance. We were on the Walmart side of the motel and did not hear any traffic noise during the night. The motel is far across the parking lot from the store.

« Great Pet Friendly Hotel »

This hotel is one of our favorite stops on the way from Florida to Maine. We travel with our pets and this place is very welcoming to all our family members. Seems to have been recently renovated, so our room was fresh and clean, and the bed very comfy. There are plenty of options for dinner, and even Walmart next door if you've forgotten something for your road trip. Thanks to the friendly staff for an enjoyable stay...see ya'll next time!

« Great place for one night. »

Lets say this, room was large. Small couch, two queen beds. Bathroom was clean, staff was extremely helpful. I arrived late and was well taking care of upon arrival. It is pet friendly and honestly i did not even hear another pet. Even though Walmart was right across the way, the noise was not a problem for us. Breakfast was good, they offered the standard fare and was fine for a quick meal.

    « Nice Stay, Central location ! »

This is my second time staying at this hotel. I had a first floor double room. It was very clean, and up to date. The staff was very nice, and helped with directions ! Tip... Stay on the non Walmart side if noise is a factor for you. This hotel is very centrally located ! Will stay again when I am in the area !

    « Nice stop on I-95 »

The room was large, with microwave and small refrigerator, sitting area with sofa, lamp & coffee table and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was very good, many choices and filled us up for our long day of travel back to Florida. We liked being able to park our car right in front of our door, be sure to ask for the first floor as there are stairs to the second floor. This is a pet friendly hotel and we did hear a dog barking in the middle of the night which woke us up several times but wasn't a big deal. The staff was very friendly and recommended restaurants, the Ruby Tuesday was very good. We will definitely stay here again!

    3
    « NOISE NOISE NOISE »

The Walmart parking lot that abuts the Best Western property is much too noisy. Drag racing, loud music, noise all night long. The hotel itself is clean, employees friendly, but the noise is just too much to deal with.

    4
    « Excellent Service »

This hotel is an excellent place to stay for rest and relaxation. There is some construction going on which is beyond the property's control, however, there is no noise during the evening; the staff are extremely solicitous, and the hotel is pet friendly. The wifi was somewhat spotty early on, but the staff immediately remedied the situation. The wifi status put a damper on my stay as I needed to get some work done, but as I said, it was fixed. There is also no printer available for guests, if you require that amenity. All that said, the quality of service can't be beat, and I'd stay there again on leisure travel.

    5
    « Caring Staff »

The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast area well organized and ample offerings. We left something behind and Shirley went above and beyond to locate the item and mail it to us. Now that's exceptional service!

« Fits into our travel plans »

We travel up and down the east coast from Florida to NY and back, this location is perfect for our needs and it is very pet friendly which we need. I highly recommend it, its easy on easy off I-95, there are many resturants and gas stations near by

« A good and convenient place to Stay in Lumberton »

The staff were friendly and courteous. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Plenty of room to walk a dog in the grass surroundings (which were mostly clean of dog poop) The breakfast was pretty good (liked the addition of fresh cooked bacon - which they previously did not have).

    4
« Nice hotel for overnite stay »

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was typical of BW hotels with a pretty good selection. Bed was comfortable and internet service was good but not great. Service was good and I would recommend this hotel to others and stay there again.

« Another Great Experience at Best Western »

Nothing worse than driving I95 and needing a night's rest. We know that when we arrive at our Best Western in Lumberton everything will be as it should be. It is comforting to check in, and rest well so we can continue on our journey. Since we do this trip several times a year, that is very important. Good job, BW.

    « Stay »

Upon arrival in the room, the door was not locked so I entered carefuly to see that everything was a mess. Like a tornado had been in that room, Beds were upside down, a lot of thing broken. There had been vandalism in that room. I do not understand that a staff member who where expecting us could not be awarw of the problem before our arrival. They gave us another room, but it was smelling old cigaret and I had to take an antihistamic pill not to sneeze.

    « a lasting relationship »

My wife and i have been using Best Western Hotels for ten years now and we have not had any bad experiences in those ten years We think the Best Western Plus Hotels are over priced. For the amount of money you have to pay for one night stay is outrageous. You can get the same amenities at a regular Best Western Hotel for a lot less money.

    4
« Great place to stay with dogs (or without) »

Looking for a place to stay with your dogs that is right off of I-95? I spent the night at Best Western Lumberton NC. It was very clean. The bed was comfortable. They don't charge you as much as other hotels to include your dogs. Hospitality is classic Southern Hospitality. Breakfast is a simple do-it-yourself deal, but perfectly adequate.

    5
    « Very good hotel »

We had a very nice stay. Room was clean and well decorated. The hotel is well situated, close to main roads. We always appreciate the microfridge it's much more convenient for us. We can refer this hotel to everyone.

    2
    « Very Noisy »

Unfortunately our room had a loud noise coming from a bathroom fan in the unit under us which ran all night. We noticed that the air conditioner was also running in that unit which led us to believe they were trying to remove some moisture or odor. When we brought this to the attention to the staff in the morning they completely ignored us. In fact it was hard to get their attention to give us our bill.

« Very Nice Hotel stayed with a dog »

Stayed at the hotel on our way back from Florida. Stayed her with my Golden. He was welcomed when we checked in at hotel. Room smelled really good and was REALLY clean. Nice grassy area around hotel to walk dog. the hotel was right off of I=95. Breakfast in the morning was very good. Overall a very good experience. I am always afraid to stay at a dog friendly hotel but not this one. A+

« Awesome Place to Stay »

I travel up and down 95 a few times a year and I ALWAY stay at Best Western. This one was AWESOME. From check-in to breakfast the next morning. This was one of my favorite Best Westerns. Very clean room and the staff went out of their way to help me.

« Reliable quality and pet friendly »

WE have stayed at this BW several times while visiting relatives in the area. Service and quality have been consistently good over the last several years. Rooms are quiet, comfortable and clean. Breakfast has been constant was well. There are several chain restaurants on the area as well as a Harris Teeter grocery store. Best of all, it is pet friendly and there is a nice dog park near by. Ask at the desk for directions. We will return.

    5
    « great stay »

« Smoke Smoke Smoke Smoke »

Asked for 2 non-smoking rooms. Confirmed that they were NON smoking. Arrived to last 2 rooms. Sorry only smoking left. REEKED to the point that I could not possibly stay and advised the other couple. Also, being allergic to cars/some pets, was told that ALL rooms have had pets at some point....what??? Children with allergies, asthma? We went across the street and luckily got 2 rooms at Holiday Inn. No smoking in any of their rooms.

« Mattress would be unacceptable in a homeless shelter »

We stayed at the Best Western in Lumberton, NC for a night in March during a trip to Florida. We had stayed there before and it was always satisfactory. We got there in the late afternoon after driving for almost 8 hours. The room looked great. It was clean and appeared to be in very good condition, perhaps recently renovated. We unpacked our car and went out for dinner. When we returned in the evening and pulled the covers back on the 2 queen size beds we found that the mattress on one of them sagged about 2" in the middle. We replace mattresses before they get that bad. We were startled to find that the other mattress had a sag of close to 6" deep. We hadn't noticed the problem earlier because the covers were stretched drum tight over the sagged areas. Even after all that driving and being very tired it was impossible to sleep on the one bed because it was like sleeping on the side of a steep hill. In the past 58 years of travelling we have never seen beds as bad as these. On the way home from Florida we found a nearly new and far superior hotel nearby on the west side of I-95 in Lumberton in the same price range as Best Western. If you do stay at the Best Western in Lumberton check your beds ASAP so you might be able to change rooms if necessary. One positive; the coffee in the breakfast area was excellent.

    « The Florida Exodus »

If you're making the drive north on Rt. 95 after spending the winter in Florida, be sure to stay overnight at the Best Western in Lumberton, NC. The rooms are extremely comfortable and clean and the staff is very accomodating and professional. It's our favorite stop after spending hours on the road!

    5
    « Dog Friendly »

Stopped here on the way to South Carolina for one night. Hotel is very dog friendly, no restrictions to size of dog, very low pet fee. Great place to walk the dogs around the hotel which was well lit for night time walking. Room was large and very clean. It's hard to find a nice hotel when you are traveling with pets, but this one fit the bill perfectly. Will definitely stay there again on my next trip south.

« Nice Best Western for overnight stay »

Very pleased with our accommodations. The room was clean and offered all the amenities needed. The front desk clerk was helpful and cheerful. Breakfast was great (eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, etc.). I would consider staying here again when we travel.

« Best Western I wouldn't stay any place else »

This is the best hotel. The rooms are spotless with out the smell of cleaners. It's very quiet, not like the cheap hotels that you can hear the neighbors running water. No street noise. I feel very safe here. Beds are very comfortable with lots of pillows. Staff was great even at 6 a.m. Very nice free breakfast with eggs and bacon to bananas and yogurt. I only stay at Best Westerns.

« Front desk went the extra mile »

Thought I had made reservations for Friday night using the Best Western app. I didn't find out until I got to the hotel that I had booked the wrong night and of course the hotel was full. The front desk clerk, Kit, was very apologetic. Just after we left the parking lot, Kit called me. She had a cancelation and was giving us the canceled room. She went the extra mile for us and it was greatly appreciated. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Kit even brought us an extra blanket and sheet for my sister.

Nice clean room and bathroom. Very convenient having a fridge and microwave in the room. Too cold to go to the pool but looked very nice. Nice morning breakfast in the lobby. Side that faces WalMart is a little noisy in the early evening but gets quiet after 11 or so.

« Hotel stay in Lumberton, NC »

This Best Western was very good and we were happy with our stay. The breakfast wasn't as good as another Best Western we stayed in in TN but it was enough to get us on our way. Check in was easy and check out was easy. Room was clean and those are the things I look for in a hotel.

« A great stop on the way home from Florida »

We were not sure where we would be spending the night but a pet friendly motel was necessary. We lucked out by selecting this immaculate Best Western. The hotel staff were kind and accommodated us in a first floor room where we could pull right into a parking space in front of the door. This made transporting the dog crate from the car to the room very easy. The room was spotless, as was the Breakfast area and even the parking lot. There were also plenty of places in the area to grab a quick but hearty meal before turning in.

I travel frequently for pleasure, but I also serve as an advisor for a college group that does community service on their break. My group arrived early and well ahead of me. They were treated with courtesy and their rooms quickly made ready. They described their experience with superlatives, making my job easy. I'm so glad I had them stay at the BW in Lumberton. The hotel also assisted with our group dinner reservations in town. Thanks!!!

amongst the other reasons I would not stay at this hotel again, there is the problem of being double billed for a single night stay. the air condioner was loud and noisy preventing me from a good night sleep. I asked for a non smoking room and was given a smoking room.

« Best in Area and very well done. »

Aside from poor lighting in our second floor suite, our stay with doggie was fine. Breakfast is motelly. Price of room was good...senior rate..but a bit higher than rates at other motels. That's OK. Best Western earns higher rates..

    « Keep driving »

When I arrived at the hotel there were 2 women standing at the intersection begging for money from stopped cards. This was adjacent to the hotel property. I was on the 2nd floor and had to carry everything up and down 2 flights of stairs. It was the noisiest room I've ever stayed in. There were trucks so loud that the room shook going all night long. I think I maybe got 2 hours sleep. I mentioned to the desk when I was checking out and the woman said yes that side ( which adjoins the Walmart parking lot was noisy. She said the other side of the hotel was quieter. For over $100 for 1 night it was clearly not worth it.

I would definitely stay here again if we visit the area.

This was a great hotel for a overnight stay on our way to Florida. We traveled from Maine and stayed there going down and coming back. Clean , Huge rooms and the breakfast starts your day off with a full belly . For less than $100 , I was impressed. They even noticed my request for extra towels and pillows . Rooms are very clean and spacious.. Check in and out staff were friendly . This is a busy hotel of people looking for a good night sleep so people do get moving early to hit the road..Gas and food very close .. This was a gem !

    « HUGE ROOMS!!!!!! »

Loved this hotel! My husband and I stayed here on our 700 moving trip from PA to SC. We had a moving truck/trailer and our RV that we parked in Walmart's (behind hotel) parking lot and the security guard there actually told us where to park them so he could keep an eye on them overnight. WHERE DOES THIS EVEN HAPPEN!?!? The hotel itself was very clean and the rooms are HUGE! ( we had a suite at $89/night ) The added plus was that they accept pets at only $10 more a night-not $75-$100 like other chains. Wish more hotels were like this one.

« No luggage cart, no elevator, no first floor! »

We are on a long road trip with a lot of things to bring in and out. All the other hotels we've stayed at have had luggage carts where we could conveniently bring in everything on one trip. This Best Western had no carts, no elevator, and the clerk would not provide a room on the first floor even though we asked for one and explained we had a lot of luggage. I was personally taken aback by her constant use of "sweetheart" as she spoke with me. I was not her "sweetheart", or "honey" the other term she used, and am an adult business woman. Checking into a hotel is a business transaction---management should ask their desk personnel to treat it as such and refrain from using colloquial "terms of endearment". The only reason I am not rating this hotel as terrible is because the rooms were clean and the breakfast was ok.

« Terrific Pet Friendly Motel »

Traveling with our cats back and forth from NJ to Florida can be a challenge. Finally, we have found a clean, odorless modern motel. We were nervous about the outside entrance. Having one of our cats bolt out the door was a concern. We solved that by putting them back inside their large travel crates when we left the room for meals. I had requested a first floor, king size bed and non- smoking room. All of my request were met. The room was lovely, had a sitting area with a couch, refrigerator and microwave. The room was extremely clean, updated and comfortable The negative were the hard as a rock pillows! The breakfast was ok. Cereal, bagels, waffles, eggs and breakfast meats, etc. The front desk employee was a sweet heart. You have to get back on 95 for a Cracker Barrel but there are many restaurants within walking distance. We will now make this motel our I95 South stop the next time we drive down to Florida.

    « Don't stay they are crooks »

I usually am not so harsh on a hotel. On 1/3 I booked a reservation for 1/22. I cancelled on 1/20. I then made 2 separate reservations on 1/20 for 1/24 and 1/25. I received confirmation for 1/25 only. These were made on the computer. I had to make multiple reservations because of the snow storm. On 1/24 we called to confirm the 1/24 reservation and the hotel said they only had 1/25 and 1/26. We cancelled both of them and were able to book 1/24 over the phone. We stayed the night on 1/24. I then checked my credit card and found out I was booked for 1/21! I was charged for room and never stayed or booked this night. I contacted the manager and she stated to contact corporate HQ. I did. They gave me a customer file # and stated to call hotel for reimbursement. The manager and GM refused as they stated the hotel was full that night and they had to turn away people. They told me to dispute it with the credit card company. I did and am waiting for response. During all this someone changed my email address so I would not get confirmation. I spoke to corporate HQ again today and they stated to dispute with the cc company. If the cc company does not help then they would possibly issue a gift card. I am very disappointed with Best Western Lumberton. Will I stay there again? No.... Will I stay at another Best Western? Absolutely not. I did not make the reservation in question and I should not have been charged. I should be reimbursed my $91.49. My advise don't stay here. Some one is changing reservations and emails. Never again will I stay at a Best Western....

this hotel is just off the I95, so a bit of noise, but when you are tired and you want to be close for easy travelling access, really don't mind. Our room last time was on the other side so not as noisy. we have stayed twice at this hotel. It is great they allow our dog, at a charge of 10 dollars. Our room is clean, and a good size on the first floor. The checkin lady was very nice and friendly. Pop machine didn't work and kept the money, but that would be a vending machine person's problem. There are plenty of places to pick up take out within walking distance. And Walmart is directly behind if you need to pick up any supplies for travelling.

« "Angels away from home" »

My experience was very pleasant and wonderful. I arrived on a Tuesday evening very late. I was greeted by Kit at the front desk. She was glowing and so friendly. She was pleasant the entire time checking me in. I told her I was visiting a sick aunt in Shannon and had family in Lumberton also. She was so attentive and caring. I was given a room on the Walmart side of the parking lot . (which was very well lighted). My room was very clean and stocked with towels and supplies. My housekeeper was a wonderful young girl named Morisa. She was just as pleasant and helpful as she could be. I left every morning. She told me if there was anything I needed, to let her know. On my return at night I would stop by the desk and chat with Kit. She always had encouraging words after I had visited my aunt. I told my husband that they were "Angels in disguise because I was feeling tired and a little sad that my aunt was so sick. They lifted me up during my stay there. I have stayed there several times and always had a great experience. I will return on my next trip. Thank you to such a wonderful staff!!

Convenient location with an excellent breakfast served at hours appropriate for both families and business / working individuals. The rooms are clean and well maintained with comfortable beds. The property is close to both restaurants and fast food outlets.

    « Good spot »

I've stayed at this hotel several times when working in the area and have always had a good stay. Nice, helpful folks at the desk, a decent breakfast and a pretty secure parking area. Having had my vehicle broken in to at a hotel just down the road, I like that the hotel here has a well lit parking lot that backs up to another well lit lot.

« Stay Away From This Nightmare! »

Commode never worked during entire stay. We had to use restroom in lobby because our commode never worked. Staff attempted to unclog commode with plunger but that did not work. The room had a nasty smell. Carpets need to be cleaned. Heating and ventilation system does not work properly. We froze all night long during our stay. Never ever again will be stay in this dump!

    « Trip Up North »

A few days after I retired, my husband and I took a road trip up north with our dog. We drove for 12 hours and arrived at the Best Western in Lumberton, N.C. at about 7 pm. Unfortunately, my husband fell on the curb outside the lobby of the hotel. I was already inside the lobby with our dog at this point. Kit, the desk person, knew that I had to bring my husband to the hospital and graciously took our dog under her wing while we went to the ER. Prior to going to the ER, Kit sent another employee for ice and towels. She was in touch with the manager, Veanna, and Veanna told her to bring our dog to our room with water, the tv on and a sheet for him to lay on when her shift ended at 11 and to keep the dog with her until then. Upon our return to the hotel, the night desk person, had the incident report form and gave us the key to our room. We were so happy to see our dog safely in our room. We are now in the process of insurance proceedings, as Veanna has worked with us on this. We highly recommend this hotel and again want to commend Kit and Veanna and Kit especially.

« The Whole "Kit" and Kaboodle »

Hotel is the perfect representation of why we choose BW for business and travel: clean, convenient, reasonable. Stayed twice to and from Florida, rooms were immaculate. Read all the reviews about Kit at the front desk and just had to meet her. She was an absolute joy, the epitome of hospitality. Made us feel right at home; we will definitely be back!!

    « Road trip »

We picked this because we had a free night but would go back again. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and they provided an extra blanket which most motels don't do. We had a wonderful breakfast. They provided the usual scrambled eggs and also a cheese omlet, sausage and potatoes. They had all the regular items one a breakfast but had two different types of waffles. Definitely a great choice for a night on the road.

    « Good pet hotel »

Breakfast was adequate. Rooms were clean and spacious- we had suites. Friendly a accommodating staff. Room heater a bit noisy but nor the worst. Outside entry made it easier to take dog out. Good areas to walk dog

    « Great stay! »

After leaving the Royal Inn with our lives in place we needed a rental so we went here. Great price, friendly staff, wi fi, spacious rooms and clean. Worth the stay. We had our dog and he did great here. It was quiet and you felt safe here.

« Nice & Quiet Pet Friendly Stay »

We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay at the Best Western Lumberton. We considered this among many other pet friendly options per other Trip Advisor comments and were rewarded with courteous friendly service. We loved the proximity to I-95, plus retail + various F&B outlets. As an exterior corridor hotel, we were a bit nervous about how noisy it might get, but it worked out perfectly. We will be back.

    2
    « Mediocre Dated Hotel »

With all of the good reviews posted for this hotel it was very surprising to discover a dated facility with uncomfortable beds and a very poor breakfast waiting for us the following morning. We have stayed in Lumberton many times but this was the first visit to this hotel and will certainly be the last.

    5
« clean and comfortable in Lumberton »

We stopped here on the way back to PA from Florida. We had hoped to be further north before stopping, but traffic has been heavy and congested. We did not make prior reservations, and when we arrived there were only 5 rooms left. The room was very nicely decorated and appeared to be quite clean. The bed is comfortable. Two floors and the doors open to the outside.

    4
    « pleasant staff, convenient to 95 »

WE stayed one night on our way to Florida. Very courteous staff person at desk; room was comfortabler. We were not bothered by any noise, except other guests walking by the door in the morning at one point. Two floors--doors open to outside, not elevator, but parking is close by.

    4
    « Good for a night's stay »

We stayed on our way from Florida to Virginia. It was a clean room with typical beds. My biggest problem is the same problem I have with most all hotels: no fitted sheets. I hate that. Otherwise, it was a good stay. Quiet place with everything in working order. The price was a bit over what I would expect, but not overly so. By the way, this is a motel, not a hotel. All rooms are on the exterior of the building. It was totally booked for the night when we got there around 9 PM. We were fortunate we made reservations.

    3
« Noise From WalMart Can Be Horrible At Night »

The motel is adjacent to a huge 24/7 WalMart Super Center that appears to be the drug center of Lumberton, deals going down all night long accompanied by wonderful bass rap music and screeching brakes. A real problem. The room on visit trip was no clean, counters were greasy, Kleenex empty, general dirt. Pity because the staff is very friendly and pleasant and the breakfast OK for motel food. Plus the motel is pet friendly and is crowded with dog travelers.

« Very clean, pleasant Best Western »

We usually stop in Lumberton, NC off 95 North on our way to Philly to visit family. In the past we stopped at the Hampton Inn, but after checking Tripadvisor became aware of this Best Western. The rates were better and the reviews were good, so we figured we would give it a try. It is a little bit further off 95, but a very nice property. The staff was very pleasant, the room very clean and the free breakfast was delicious. My husband was not feeling well and the property is located near a Walmart, so we got some soup that he could microwave in our room. The next morning he wanted oatmeal for breakfast. The woman taking care of the breakfast buffet was so nice and helpful to prepare the instant oatmeal for him. We enjoyed our stay.

« Good hotel for the area »

The room was clean and attractive. They allow pets and my Airedale Terrier was comfortable and happy, too. :-) I have family in the area and will stay there again when I go to visit. The bed was really in good shape and I liked the fact that the King "suite" did kind of feel like a separate Living Room / Bedroom. The staff was nice and breakfast (once the food got there) was tasty.

« Best Western in Lumberton »

Very convenient location and mid- point / overnight stop when traveling between NY and FL. Pet friendly which is the primary reason for stay. Plenty of restaurants and shopping in the general area. Have been stopping off at this location for many years.

« For the price, excellent! »

This is not a Four Seasons, but of $100.00 you can't beat it. Very clean room, good hot breakfast, secure. All 100%, and will stay again. Good area convenient to I-95. I am a "snowbird" driving to my Florida home for the winter. My priority was close to I-95, sleep in a clean and secure room, good breakfast and go!

    5
    « Clean »

Very tired after a school day, wanted to get a few hours on the road in before the next long part of the trip the following day. Nice clean room. Quiet. Comfy bed! Excellent hot breakfast the next morning. I will come back again.

    « Convenient & Good value »

    « Hotel Stay »

I would recommend anyone traveling on business or leisure to use this hotel. I always stay here when I am traveling in the area. I guarantee you will be satisfied with Best Western. When you are in the area check it out, you will not regret it. It is very clean. They has a awesome breakfast and wifi services

    « Average Experience »

Not a bad stay but location was a bit noisy. Location was adjacent to shopping mall. Great if you need to shop or dine out, not so much if you need quiet. Average amenities. Air conditioning produced a very bad odor, a musty, moldy smell. Staff was pleasant. Did not experience breakfast.

« Great Place to stop on your way to Florida »

This hotel is great! Clean is so important to me and it was very clean. Front desk was very nice. It had everything we needed. A comfortable bed, fridge, microwave, wifi spacious room. The breakfast was more than I expected and they were very nice. We will stop there on the way home if we can. Price was great and we used a coupon from the books we got at the rest areas.

« Reason it is ranked number 1 in Lumberton »

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights a week for little over a month while working in Lumberton. I stayed here because it was ranked number one hotel in Lumberton on tripadvisor and it lived up to my expectations. All the staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful. The room was maintained well and cleaned well everyday. The breakfast is a step above most restaurants containing hot foods such as eggs, sausage and homestyle potatoes. There are many restaurants near by and in a nice location.

« Half way between NY & FL »

High quality high value accommodations with excellent amenities. Internet available and service reliable. Breakfast is one of the high spots. Professional waffle maker delivers the real thing. This year bacon and eggs were introduces and were excellent. Swimming pool available.

« Enough space to walk dogs and large rooms »

Rooms are large, beds are very comfortable, very clean, no smell of smoke or animals, even though we require a room that can accommodate our 2 dogs. Located right next to a Walmart, with a Chick fill A right across the street The staff are very friendly and helpful. A hot breakfast is served between 6:00 and 9:00, and it is very good. This has been, and remains our regular place while traveling to and from Florida.

« Traveling back to Florida... »

We don't normally stay at Best Western hotels, and were concerned about the quality of the rooms, but we were very pleased with the cleanliness, comfort and quality of this hotel. The room had been recently remodeled and the beds were very supportive and comfortable. We had our small dog with us and they charged us a very reasonable up-charge for the dog. I would highly recommend this hotel and will plan to stay here on future trips. Service personnel were cheery and efficient.

    « Love Best Western »

Excellent service. Clean room and it was the best bed I have slept in, in years. Very comfortable. They go the distance to help in any way. Not sure if the pool was heated or not. Did not go into the pool. I will be back!

« Very nice hotel but noisier than expected »

All the great things said about this hotel were true. Courteous professional staff, very clean, well maintained, convenient location and great value. However, traffic noise from large vehicles and some other guests was more than expected and woke us up several times during the night.

    4
« Good place to rest »

First, it is clean, we received what we ask for, that is a room on the main floor. The room was clean , quiet and the quality of the bedding , comfortable. That is the kind of place to find when you have been travelling for hours. The receptionist was kind enough to help us on our choice for a restaurant outside the fast food chains. The small town had also few buildings of interest.

    5
    « Internet connecting »

We were not able to connect to internet. Called front desk and they were not helpful. I needed to pay a bill and was disappointed because any time I have stayed in Best Western from Vancouver to Florida I have never had a problem getting on the internet at the Best Western. I would still recommend but the internet should be easier.

    4
« Quick and easy stay! »

The Best Western in Lumberton, NC is a quick exit off I95. It is the perfect stop for people traveling to and from Florida. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are always clean. The free breakfast isn't anything to rave about, but it is hot food that helps to get you moving for the remainder of your trip. The motel offers free wifi, too. There isn't an elevator for the second floor so anyone with mobility issues should ask about rooms on the first floor. My husband and I are seasonal Floridians and stop at this motel every year.

    5
« Great place to stay »

as soon as you walk in the service is great, I dealt with Kit both time on Nov 10th and Nov 16th. The service was quick, the room was clean, the free breakfast was just enough and service in there was friendly. When traveling we will make it a point to stay at Best Western and will recommend it to everyone. One thing, stop at the Welcome center and ask for the hotel coupon, it's worth $20.00, we had one on the 10th but thought we could use the books and they did not honor the price in the book which was the only negative thing, seeing we were just there a week prior I felt we should have paid the book rate.

    1
    « Cockroaches »

If you like bugs stay at the Lumberton Best Western NC! The room odor was very strong and unpleasant. We could not wait to get out the next morning. We usually stay at this location on the second floor. This was a first floor room (102) and we had to kill cockroaches. We checked our luggage and left very early in morning.

    « Terrific as always »

This is the only hotel we stay at when we are traveling on 95 from Florida. Night clerk was very nice when we called to advise we would be a late arrival. Very friendly staff, clean, modern & comfy rooms. Great breakfast too :) Wouldn't stay anywhere else.

    5
    « A real gem »

As always very clean, beds comfortable with comfy pillows. The night manager is the best always smiling and helpful. Breakfast is also very good. Waffles, eggs bacon potatoes and for me most important hot chocolate as well as coffee. Always stay on our way to and from Florida.

    « Pleasant Stay »

We were driving on I-95 when I became tried and wanted a place to stay. We always try to stay at a Best Western, so we saw a bill board with B/W and stopped. The lady at the front desk was very pleasant and before we know it we were checked in and had a restful nights sleep before our journey home.

    5
    « Very nice! »

I chose this place based on the reviews I'd read and I wasn't disappointed! It is very clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet has a very nice selection. You'll pay a little more than the average "on the road" type motel but you are guaranteed clean and comfortable.

    4
    « Good Stopover »

We stayed here while travelling to Florida. The hotel is nice and rooms are clean and comfortable. The location is nice and right off the freeway. Breakfast was good with many hot selections. We will stay here again.

    2
    « Motel not Hotel »

I chose the Best Western based on Trip Advisor ratings. I was a bit disappointed. This is a Motel not a Hotel. I am a bit quirky about my room door being on the outside. The front desk clerk was very friendly and accommodating. The Hotel is dog friendly and I am a dog lover however my room had an odor of a dog.

    5
    « Nice Surprise »

After many years of never even considering a Best Western except in foreign travel, I used a West Western in the USA. I was pleasantly surprised at how the brand has done a lot domestically to improve their product. The decor and quality and comfort of the rooms were better than I expected. The Breakfast was one of the best of its type. I especially liked having the choice of two different types of waffles ( I went for the cinnamon).... All in all, A GREAT VALUE!

    5
    « Florida stopoff »

Very clean, pet friendly and great breakfast. Checking in can be a little slow. Plenty of places close by to eat. Easy access from highway. Will stop at this hotel in the future. They make you provide a 200 word review so I am filling up remaining required space...what else can be said.

    « A Good Nights Stay »

Extremely friendly folks at the desk. Clean, fresh rooms made for a good nights stay. Lots of restaurants and gas stations. The exit from I95 is a bit dicey but this is just a minor detail. I can recommend this motel.

« Have pets? This is the place to stay! »

    « Great unexpected stay »

We stayed here recently on a drive to SC and FL. Due to the flooding in SC we could not easily make it to our destination, and quickly decided to stop in NC. After a ten hour day of driving with our lab, we were all exhausted and not sure what to expect from booking a hotel last minute. Best Western in Lumberton would accept dogs for a (very low) $15 fee. Our very pleasant one-night-stay started with the woman at the front desk. (I did not think to catch her name then, but we checked in on the afternoon of 10/4). She was so caring and really made us feel like we could come to her about any problems or questions we had. The room was tastefully decorated and very spacious--with two queen size beds, a coffee table, tv, end tables and desk. The bathroom is split up, with the sink and mirror next to the closet and the shower and toilet in its own room. It was a little small compared to the rest of the room, but it was clean. One thing to keep in mind about this hotel is that it is designed with the rooms directly off the outside floors and balconies, which I usually do not like because they do not usually feel as safe as being in a hotel that requires key entry to get in. Not only did I feel very safe while staying here, (there are cameras on the balconies), but we also felt like we had a lot of privacy; I never once saw people walking past our window, and didn't hear our neighbors either. The complimentary breakfast was very good and plentiful with the usual continental selection and waffle maker, as well as three different hot items--bacon, sausage, and eggs. We also were able to order pizza delivered directly to our door from Dominoes the night we arrived. It doesn't get much easier than that, but there are also many other food options in Lumberton. We thoroughly enjoyed our unexpected stay here and would definitely make a point of staying here again on another road trip!

    « Great hotel »

Hotel is very convenient to I-95. It is very clean. The breakfast is nice. They have a nice variety of items to choose from. It is perfect for me when I travel from FL to PA. It is midway between the two points. The staff is helpful and have a smile on their faces. Brightens your day. It is also convenient to a variety of eating establishments.

    « Impressive budget hotel »

Rooms recently redone and so clean you could white glove the corners. Comfortable bed. Sitting area and desk. Good hot breakfast included in clean area. Friendliest staff ever! Really a good place to stay in a small town. Also, great eating places nearby, some of which are walking distance. We will definitely stay there next time we are in Lumberton.

    5
    « Best Westers Beds »

Best Western has to do something about the lighting in the rooms. They are all trying to save money so they use the new energy saving bulb. Understandably. But the rooms are dark, hard to read in bed. The beds have these small ""designer" pillows that are awful and the sheets at every hotel, don't really fit the bed and when you pull them back to go to sleep, they all come undone and you have to all most make the bed again. This is at all the hotels, it seems, so it's a corporate problem. Otherwise, their hotels are the best deal around.

    5
    « Overnight Oasis »

We stop here 6-8 times a year. The staff and facility are just great. Extremely dog friendly which helps us relax after a long day of driving. We won't consider any place else. This place has all we need plus a fantastic breakfast to hit the road on.

    4
    « Enjoyable Hotel Experience »

Older hotel in appearance, but nicely kept. couch in room needed a good cleaning. No guest laundry was a bummer. Conveniently located, many restaurants, fast food and shopping in the area. Breakfast was OK bu not the best we have had at a Best Western

    « caring employee »

The front desk person personally delivered a TV remote when the one supplied did not work. She did it willingly and pleasantly which scores serious points with me in this increasingly impersonal world.

« Overpriced and Nothing Special »

Stayed here for the night, it has a convenient location off of 95. Trip Advisor told me it was the nicest hotel at that exit, so decided to stay there. It is the quality of a roadside motel, which is what I was looking for, but at the room rate over 100 dollars for one night, I guess I was expecting more. Room was clean and had the normal room things, Shampoo, Soap, ext, but there was nothing about this room that made 100 dollars seem worth it. Breakfast was forgettable. Essentially your standard quick serve hotel breakfast. Nothing great, nothing terrible. My other negative thing, which was kind of wacky, was they charged me three different times for the hotel. I got charged when I checked in, Charged when I checked out, and then later in in the day a third charge happened. It was very strange, I called them and they told me it was normal and the other two would go away eventually, and eventually they did, but it was still annoying. In conclusion, Will I stay here again? Probably not, I was just really tired and this exit had a lot of hotels. That being said this one was the highest ranked out of all of them, so I will probably just avoid staying in Lumberton all together. Should You Stay Here? If you are tired it wasn't a bad hotel, just don't stop here if you are expecting a nice cheep place to stay for a night. It is more expensive than it should have been.

The staff is friendly and quite helpful, the room was beautiful, large and clean and comfortable. I wish all hotels were as nice as this one. We have traveled a lot this summer and this was one of the nicest and most comfortable hotels we stayed in, booked same room for return trip.
