Best Western Plus Kenwick Park Hotel

My wife and I where bought a spa break for Xmas. Our son couldn't buy a spa break for 2 on there website so bought 2 x classic overnight spa breaks for 1 at £189 each. Which includes use of the pool in the spa. Afternoon tea,A 1 hour treatment. £25 for towards an evening meal. An overnight stay in the hotel and breakfast next morning. So we go to book our stay, to be greeted by a receptionist who informed us that we can't have 1 room the night before the spa day and one room after the dinner. We say we'll you have been paid for 2 rooms so why can't we have two rooms. She tells us that we can have two rooms, one each on the same night but not different nights. We complain then a spa lady joins in and says it's company policy. No matter how much protesting they ain't moving. We have no choice as no refunds on spa breaks, so we have no choice but to take just one room, so we ask if we can be upgraded to a deluxe room, which they tell us we have to pay another £20 for. Just thought we would tell other people don't buy the spa stays if your going to share a room as its cheaper to just pay for everything individually.

Plus: - Family Friendly Estate, plenty of family-friendly amenities - Tennis court, Gym, Spa, walking paths etc. - The Hotel was very clean all through and the housekeeping staff were efficient and on top of the cleanliness. - Reception staff were also very friendly. We arrived very late but this was not an issue as there was a 24-hour help desk at the reception. Everyone was consistently friendly. - Breakfast was delicious and I must particularly acknowledge the excellent customer service we received from Anita whose consistent warmth and welcome made us feel very welcome and relaxed. - Kids meals are very good and affordable. - Fully functional and equipped wellness centre. Affordable Spa treatments. - Nice beaches nearby (about 30 min countryside drive). Good drive/views. - Lots of Free parking. Minus: - The family room had one double and one single. The room was large but the bed was not enough for our family of four. But we enjoyed a cosy sleep and this was not an issue for us as the big room compensated. - Breakfast was delicious however I think the Hotel should add more options to the menu - like fruit salad, boiled eggs, potato etc. Varry the option a bit daily. - The Leisure centre charges £1 for the use of towels. For such a big hotel, I didn't think this was OK. I think for residents, this should be made free as a courtesy. Overall, it was a great experience and we can not wait to be back.

Up on entering the hotel we had a good impression and after speaking with the restaurant staff we were more impressed, but the kitchen let the whole place down. I wanted to order the Lincolnshire sausage sandwich, but I first asked the waitress if the sausages were cooked to order or are they left over from breakfast, she went to ask the chef. His answer was no, the breakfast sausages were disposed of and he had cooked new ones after breakfast. In preparation for lunch, so in effect pre-cooked sausage, why? Lincolnshire sausages are probably one of the best in the country, so why not cook them fresh to order. I ordered a BLT instead, to my amazement the bacon was pre-cooked, why? I hope the so called chef reads this and gets his act together, stop pre-cooking simple food and cook it to order, that's why you are there.

Stayed for under a special offer for 2 nights in a suite. When we arrived we were told we had the best suite.. the bridal. As anyone who follows me knows.. my reviews are fair and honest... so... The greeting was spot on. Friendly and professional. Also booked in the restaurant on arrival. (Previously emailed and communications were great). Went up to the suit.. one flight of stairs and then soon there at our room. First impressions.. lovely, comfy 4 poster bed. Wardrobes containing ample space for clothes and had complimentary dressing gowns.. but no slippers. Ironing board and iron in here too. Plus extra pillows. The room was huge... spacious. With three large windows overlooking the gardens and golf course. (And some other rooms!) Large TV to the left corner of the room. Great picture and sound.. amd channels.. but over to one side meant it was hard to comfortably view. (Wall mounted.) Loads of units.. storage everywhere. A separate room off the bedroom realised a double sink and large walk in shower and a toilet in the corner. All looked clean and stunning. Shower... really poor pressure. Side hose and rainfall.. but all low power. Not great. Freebies... shower gel, hand wash, biscuits, tea, coffee and a couple of hot chocs. On refresh day.. milks amd teas replaced.. but not extra biscuits or hot chocolate. The room wa clean.. some evidence of removed items... holes in wall... but for the price £140ish and a Best Western... it was well worth it. Breakfast included. 1st morning... greeted a bit abruptly.. the lady serving could have been friendlier.. but was efficient. Food.. very Iver cooked... sausages hard and cold... eggs.. seen better days... generally.. I would have complained if I had paid extra. The next day... breakfast far better. Old eggs removed and fresh ones delivered. Hash Browns tasted cheap and stale... on both occasions. Breads and cakes.. all fine. More of a holiday Inn vibe. Gym and pool. The gym is superb. If you know what you're doing... it is Ana amazing space. Pool... lovely. Large and has outside spas. The inside steam, sauna etc. are large and clean. Very relaxing. Dinner. Varied. 2 nights of food and drink. Wines.. we chose bin ends. Although under £30.. same bottles in shops £7. But it is what you expect from restaurants. Markups only fair. Food.. both occasions food really good. Negatives.. frozen chips... used to make own last year.. so lazy chef. And second night.. amazing Belly Pork... but the mash tasted of pellet or ready mix mash.. definitely not freshly made. (I'm an ex chef). Disappointed how much care had gone into the food.. but let down by the potatoes on both occasions. Service at the bar was amazing. The gentlemen who served me was extremely friendly and had a great attitude. Very good skills with the customer and making drinks. I would stay again. Felt a lovely, relaxing stay. Wouldn't pay more than I did.. or I would likely complain/moan about more things. At the price we paid.. fair and worthwhile.

Booked afternoon tea for four of us did let them know it was for friends birthday, sat in bar area..given two 3 tired plates and two pots of tea no refills not much service, food OK not much nor was it really good had better inloacal garden centre. Won't be going again . Not really good value. Not impressed, maybe should have been 20 something in sports attire.

We stayed here for a couple of nights we went out for day came back the room hasn't been cleaned the floor hasn't been hoovered up bathroom and toilet wasn't cleaned not very friendly staff we won't come back here again bad experience it felt as tho we was in the way the food at night as poor

Excellent hotel, wonderful staff and great food and drinks! Gavin the cocktail bar staff was outstanding he made us cocktails to order and was an absolute delight to deal with he couldn't have been any more helpful and willing to assist with anything.

Really nice room, fab staff, loved the spa, but couldn't get any treatments. Food was excellent, but the beverages left alot to be desired, coffee was awfull, limited beer choice and the wine was awfull, some of the main areas where looking a little tired.

Stayed here for my birthday with my daughter, this is a beautiful hotel I have stayed at many times over the past 20 years and it still has the same high standards and I will definitely be returning again

very good value, nice room, clean, good bed, good breakfast with a nice view over golf course, Very friendly helpful staff. Wifi was ok, I didnt have time to check out the pool. Easy to find, parking right outside main entrance.

The setting is always well done, and the pianist a nice touch. The tables are nicely set up and reasonably set apart. Starters were fine, I had the Turkey and thought it was very good, not dry. The separate vegetables too much for 2 people. The Salmon was disappointing as the sauce had cooled then poured over the salmon which made the salmon lukewarm. Sweets were good. After this the service seemed to flag and we had to request coffees and we were never offered the cheeseboard! It was noticeable that food was starting to go to the wrong tables. This is no criticism of the serving staff who worked very hard but a lack of supervision.? Overall I enjoyed the food and experience but there is nothing worse than food which isn't hot.

For the first time, my family and I decided to eat out on Christmas Day as a treat. We had high hopes for Kenwick Park Hotel. A family member had previously eaten a 'tasty omelette' at the golf club and I had my prom there a few years back - an enjoyable experience. Background: A five-course Christmas Day menu for £70.95 each. Positives: - The scenery and surroundings are lovely - it was great to be back. - They catered for a large group of us, of which I am very grateful. - They made sure alternatives were available to suit needs i.e. non-alcoholic sorbet instead of champagne sorbet and orange juice instead of Prosecco. Thank you. - A pianist was playing Christmas music, as stated when making the booking, which made the experience more special. - It was a lovely chance for our whole family to get together and enjoy each others' company. - Service - staff pointed us in the correct direction upon arrival which was nice, and said we could have a family picture with the Christmas tree in the lobby after the meal. - We booked a three hour slot, but there was no time limit pressures on when to leave. - Desserts were the best part of the meal. To be improved: - Food quality is not what we paid for, essentially. We were promised a 'Butter Basted Lincolnshire Turkey Breast'. This was far from the truth. It was obviously a turkey roll, probably Bernard Mathews (see pictures). The 'Brussel Sprouts' were frozen. A family member had beef to which they were also not happy with the quality. Our roast potatoes were undercooked. I would not describe the cheese board presented as a board. It was stacked really high on one plate and then just placed vigorously in front of one of us. - Service - nobody took drink orders until our main meals and then they didn't arrive until after with the desserts. Cranberry sauce was given in one really small pot (about quarter of the size of a ramekin for a large party). Also only one jug of water for a large party in the meantime so must of us were left without substantial drinks. Not all of the extra requirements submitted on a form in advance were accounted for. We kindly reminded the waitress but they never arrived, despite them updating us that 'they will be here soon'. From the starters to the main meal, the service seemed really rushed whilst we were finishing to eat. Plates were cleared whilst someone was still eating, which did not provide a relaxing experience. After the cheeseboard, we were then waiting for half-an-hour and politely asked the lady if we could have our coffees, to which the response seemed abrupt, but then they did bring them and the mini mince pies out. Conclusion: The scenery was lovely at Kenwick Park Hotel. The food was average/poor for the price paid. The food offered was not representative of the menu promised i.e. turkey. It seemed as if it was a low budget, maximum profit situation. The service was okay, and I appreciate that staff were working on Christmas Day. I hope you got a well-deserved break after that. I cannot comment on the hotel/lodges as I did not stay there. Overall, I will not be returning to Kenwick to eat food but it did provide us with an opportunity to get together as a family. Thank you. I just wanted to bring awareness to anyone who is thinking of booking here for Christmas Lunch in the future.

Stayed in the lodge just on the main Kenwick estate, lodge was beautifully finished and really homely, however when I pulled the bedside table out to pug my charger in there was loads of used tissues behind it on the floor. Visited the restaurant one night, and found it had really poor service, 1 staff member running round trying to serve food and working on the bar. Food was Wetherspoon standard just more expensive. Was told me can either eat in the pub side or in the main dining room. There was only around 3/4 using the restaurant so wasn't that busy. Really good walks around the grounds however, the walk from the lodge to the restaurant was 20 minutes, would be useful to have a buggy service to help people get around the grounds. This service I think would increase the amount of people using the restaurant.

I was allocated room 403 in the annexe, room was dated but clean, however bathroom was dirty and bath and shower unusable. This room didn't look like any that were on the website and is in desperate need of refurbishment. Hotel was fully booked but stay was saved as a lodge in the grounds was free, however I wasn't moved until after dinner.

Very disappointed with the twin rooms we were given. Room 405 smelt of damp and we could not hang up our clothes because of the smell in the wardrobe. Wall paper had started to come away from the wall because of the damp walls. I booked for a 2 night stay for a family of 4 for a wedding (2 adults and 2 kids). I was told that there was no family rooms available for the 1st night so I would have to book two twins rooms and transfer to a family room for the second night. This I was fine with. When we checked into our family room for the second night it was the same size room (double and a single bed) as the twin rooms we had the night before but with a pop up bed in it. I don't see why one of the twin rooms couldn't have been made into a family room for the first night?? Instead I have been massively over charged for two twin rooms that were the same as the family room.

The hotel, and staff, are first class but the housekeeping needs addressing. The bottom of the shower was filthy - absolutely black - and there were bright yellow stains on the carpet. This was in a deluxe room for which we had paid an upgrade fee. The lovely receptionist was appalled when we reported the problems and refunded our upgrade fee. This was courteous and sensible. The rest of the room was first class. The TV requires a degree in TV Contrology to operate. Breakfast was excellent and worth purchasing. We would stay here again.

The receptionist was very friendly, polite and helpful. The King Suite sadly was not as nice as the photo looked. The furniture is cheap, there was a hole in my pillowcase and two of the bedroom blinds were broken, they had been tied so once they were pulled down, you couldn't get them back up! The breakfast was not the best quality. It seems without the golf course this hotel wouldn't do very well imo and the owner could make so much more of this place. It's in a lovely location and the shower room is huge and no bath! Great shame as it could be so much nicer.

From the first time you walk in to start your holiday the staff couldn't do enough to make you feel welcome. The staff couldn't do enough to make your stay perfect. I would like to say Steve the night porter was exceptional i am an early riser and he offed me coffee or tea and chatted to me while he worked another guest was up early and he was treated to a coffee as well. All the staff are a credit to the hotel. Bedrooms were nice very comfy beds. The only let down i found was the cleaning their was a lamp at the bottom of the stairs that needed dusting I wiped it with my hand and my hand mark was there three days after, there were dead fly's on are bedroom windowsill. But over all I would highly recommend this hotel we will be returning.

Great hotel but certain areas are in need of repair/maintaining or updating. Lots of land and great for walking from as a base. Staff are excellent and very friendly. Some rooms are newer and highlight the fact that the others are a little dated.

few days away with our grandson .another perfect visit. clean spacious.freindly staff.excellant breakfast.and evening meal.was perfect . We were upgraded to a superior room .went swimming and my husband used the gym. .played on the large grass outside near the restaurant.with our grandson . We went to mablethorpe .had lots of fun.for the day.the weather was perfect.we will return our next visit is 26 n October in a cabin with a hot tub.looking forward to that Thanks for a lovely few days

Golf trip for 3 days staying at the Best Western onsite hotel. Excellent all round, hotel good with comfortable rooms and good breakfast and dinner. Golf course in excellent condition and is a good test. Pro-shop well stocked with friendly staff. All round a really good experience.

First time we have stayed here and will certainly stay again. We paid to upgrade to deluxe room and late check out (10.00 we felt was a little early) both well worth it. Room clean with comfortable bed, dinner and breakfast fine. The staff, without exception, were all lovely. Plenty to walk round on site and a very pretty area to visit.

Fantastic venue for our wedding, extremely professional staff. Nothing was to much trouble our every need was catered for from start to finish. All the staff went above and beyond to make the day extra special.

The hotel was of a good standard. Clean comfortable rooms. In lovely surroundings. The food was ok freshly cooked in the hotel although a little expensive as with most hotels. The outside jaccuzzi area of the spa building needed a good clean and some of the jet functions did not work. And have not done so for several months. The spa cafe area serves mainly frozen food warmed up in a microwave. Even the jackets potatoes. And all fillings are frozen. The chilli con carni we were given was very small tasteless portions.

We stayed on a dinner bed and breakfast deal. It was great value for money and the service was great. We had a great sized garden suite included in the deal. Huge bathroom, and air con in the room which helped lots with the muggy weather.

I think they forgot that they hadn't finished our room. The walls were scuffed and dirty. Two pictures had obviously been taken down as the dirt around the frames was still visible. There was a very strong odour of air freshener, maybe to mask a smell. The shower head was disgusting. Limescale clogged and mouldy. I have pictures to prove it! We didn't complain as we heard the hotel was fully booked and didn't have anywhere else to go as we were there for a race meeting. The room shouldn't have been available to us in the first place. Certainly didn't match the rest of the hotel décor. One good note was that the bar man was so friendly and took an interest in his job and his guests, unlike reception. Oh and there wasn't a socket for one of the beside lights, pointless. We will be looking elsewhere next time.

Stayed the night here for a relaxing get away with my friend. Booked an executive room which was not much more expensive than a standard room. Appears recently refurbished and was beautiful. Very spacious and comfortable. Highlight of this trip was without doubt the staff at this hotel. I have rarely felt so welcome. Every member of staff made us feel special and nothing was too much trouble for them. Would particularly like to mention Anita and Gavin who we had most contact with. They are truly a credit to the hotel. Thanks for a l8vely stay.

Not the most welcoming first impression. Arrived 30 min early and was told by receptionist that check in was 4pm, the room wasn't ready and we should go away and come back! No helpful suggestions that we could have maybe had a drink in the hotel whilst we wait. Room was noisy and next to delivery yard. Towels made up for one guest so had to go and get some more. Carpet entrance to the bathroom was wet so the room smelt musty. Thankfully we were booked into the lodges the next day. Won't be using the hotel again.

Nice place. Positives Very good comfortable, modern room with lovely views. Negatives Aircon inadequate. Seemed to push warm air around but not cool it. Had two very warm nights. Pls note it was warm (20-21) but not hot. Did report problem but no change. Breakfast OK but lack of breads and pastries.

We had a really great stay. Wish we'd had longer! The room was big & nice views. Friendly, helpful staff. Fabulous breakfast. Free use of the spa which was lovely. Really cheap considering what you get for your money.

I was racing at Cadwell Park. I stayed here for two nights. Check-in was good. Room adequate. Cold glasses for cold Madri beer at the bar. Dinner was ok. I didn't try breakfast either morning. And my usual question - Would I stay again? It's a Yes on that one. For sure.

I would like to say a big thank you to all the bar and breakfast staff after staying at your hotel for 9 days the food was very good stayed in a lodge with a hottub the lodge was a Somersby spar

Lovely room, spacious room , nice views over golf course. Hospitality tray in room rationed to one teabag apiece per day. Breakfast dry, lukewarm and cold plates reverted to continental after 1st day. Food good in the evening rather limited choice. recommend the cocktail's and wide choice of gin.

Shabby room , we certainly weren't given one in the pictures advertised. Shabby furniture view fly in the orange at breakfast. Facilities were great and area lovely, room let this down. Reason review review is late is because I just looked to go back , and realised our room was nothing like the images advertised.

This is our second time staying here. We stayed in the deluxe rooms and they really are nice. The hotel manager is always very welcoming and does whatever he can to make your stay as nice as possible. Hes an absolute credit to the hotel and so are all his staff. We stayed for new years eve this time round and we had the best time. The disco ended a little early (12:30) but apart from that they really pulled out all the stops. Would recommend to anyone.

Restaurant closed, substandard breakfast served served in a hot lesiure centre. Pool closed due to issues with boiler. Cashless bar, (not when it comes to tips, that's perfectly acceptable). Rooms were clean and tidy, comfortable beds.

We stayed here at Christmas time in 2017 and it was a much better experience than this time. The bed wasn't very comfortable - it had a mattress topper that moved. The television control had no back on it and ultimately I had to unplug it to switch it off We were quite disappointed in general.

Afternoon tea for 7 booked for my work colleagues. We had to ask for a glass of fizz and we're not offered more. The sandwiches had clearly been made hours before as were so dry. Selection of food was poor and the whole experience was disappointing. As a 20 year member of the leisure club I would have hoped to have used my discount too but no. The only saving grace was Phyllis the waitress. Thankyou. It was a waste of our hard earned money

An interesting and slightly quirky hotel on the outskirts of Louth. Sited on the Kenwick Park Estate, there is a conference center with gym facilities next to the hotel, a golf course and clubhouse etc., and lodges within the wooded part of the estate. The gym and swimming pool is available for hotel guests . The golf course however with a large and almost unused car park has signs advising no hotel guests to park here. Forgetting the stuffy golf course, the hotel is comfortable with a very pleasant ambience. The rooms were clean and beds excellent. A very good buffet breakfast was available; the evening dinner was good although the choice of food was limited. All the staff were pleasant and cheerful although some at times were slightly unfocussed, in a pleasant sort of way. One can imagine that getting staff to the venue may be a challenge. Overall I liked the hotel and would choose the facility if returning to the area.

Second stay this year. Excellent pool/spa facilities, comfortable room, good breakfast and lovely location. Louth is also really handy and great to visit as is Woodhall Spa if you fancy going further afield. We will definitely be back and would recommend x

Really nice staff, the room we had was large clean and tidy (deluxe room), food good and evening buffet food at a party was great, there was plenty and it was nice and fresh over the hour or so it was served.

I was recommended the hotel by a friend, the staff were great, the room was exactly what I needed, the swimming pool was clean and lovely, including the outside hot lazy tub, timings were suitable to my needs.

Absolutely brilliant stay. Was upgraded I believe to one of the modernised rooms. Spacious, well decorated, comfortable bed and great bathroom with powerful shower. Gym and spa facilities are superb, warm pool. Breakfast was great with lots of choice and quality ingredients. A pint over a fiver, standard I suppose for hotels nowadays. Didn't use golf course as don't play the game but looks impressive to me. Staff all bright, friendly and look after you. Only reason for the loss of a star rating is the late check in of 4pm and the early check out of 10am. And the fact the place is cashless, unacceptable in my opinion. Aside from that, a superb stay. Won't be back due to them not accepting money as I avoid all of these places as a matter of principle.

Beautiful setting in lovely grounds. My wife has walking difficulties and we chose a disabled room. Sadly it was a very very long walk from reception which was not good. Disappointingly there was no option to take just toast and coffee for breakfast as it was all or nothing. Restaurant meals were good with generous portions. Could do with better sound insulation between ground and first floor rooms

For the 2 days we stayed the room had a smell of fish if one was being generous toilets if not. Fortunately the weather was unseasonably warm so we could keep the windows open. The service was not great and we had to almost beg for room service on the first evening. However the Spa was wonderful. The staff were welcoming and attentive. The spa had a fantastic atmosphere which made for a rather nice place to spend time. My advice would be to use the spa and stay at a different hotel. I only wish we experience just some of the fine service other reviewers enjoyed. Never going back.

For the 2 days we stayed the room had a smell of fish, if one was being generous, toilets if not. Fortunately the weather was unseasonably warm so we could keep the windows open. The room was a garden view suite, made up of one room, so I suspect my definition of a suite differs from the hotels. The service in the hotel was lackluster at best and we had to almost beg for room service. The breakfast was poor with staples such as milk and bread running out both mornings. No options with the eggs it was either fried or fried. However the Spa was tremendous with fantastic staff and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. My advice would be to use the spa and stay at a different hotel.

Everything about The Kenwick Hotel is lovely. The staff went above & beyond to make our stay so enjoyable. Bridie the receptionist is an asset to the hotel and made us feel so special. Gavin the barman was a real sweetheart too, so lovely and friendly. Breakfast was delicious, a great choice of hot & cold food available. Rooms are absolutely spotless and we are looking forward to going back very soon

We had a lovely overnight spa break throughly recommend rooms lovely spa facilities excellent Staff polite and well trained Food was also very good an beautifullly presented Drinks prices were also fair

Whether you were going on a break for golf, swimming and gym facilities or spa this Hotel had it all. We took our dog with us and it was just so easy to take her out. The area was well lit and that was joy in itself and we felt safe.

Lovely and relaxing place to come to very clean and tidy staff very friendly and polite the spa facilities excellent and again clean restaurant good lovely food also the grounds are very good golf course for those who play plenty of room to go for walks the rooms we stayed in was very clean and tidy I will be coming again

If you like the outdoors, this is the place to stay. I was here on business for 3 nights at stayed at the hotel. I did not know about all the other activities it offered until I stayed here. Had log cabins in wooded areas great to get back to nature. Sporting activities for all - Golf, kids outdoor activities, indoor swimming pool and spa facilities... caters for everyone's tastes. Food was excellent too, although a limited choice if you stay more than a week and decide to eat in every night. I will definitely be back

This hotel is lovely with friendly staff and good facilities. Dinner in the restaurant which was good quality, tasty, and good value for money in a relaxed family friendly atmosphere. We were able to make good use of the pool and gym facilities and met other families who were equally happy with their experience.

We Stayed in room 305 in the end and this was just what I needed beautiful room amazing surroundings and big shout out to Alan, bridie and gavin who was amazing and couldn't do enough for us thank you

We are just back from the most fabulous wedding day we could have ever wished for! As anybody can see the hotel, grounds, spa and lodges are just beautiful but what really makes the place is the staff. Nothing was too much trouble for us or our guests, every little whim was catered too. A special mention to Sam and Les the wedding coordinator and master of ceremonies, true professionals. Also the chef, kitchen, bar and waiting staff, house keepers, porters and reception staff were all fantastic. The food at our wedding was out of this world and we have had so many lovely comments. The bedrooms and lodges were top class. There was a wedding on the night before ours so I stayed in the new part of the hotel in an executive suite rather than the “official” bridal suite but it was just as good if not better. We had quite a big wedding and from start to finish it was just perfect, you really are in safe hands if you book your wedding here. Finally to add, we are a “covid wedding couple” and were originally supposed to be married in July 2020, Kenwick moved the date and arrangements without issue no less than 3 times. Some of the best customer service we've ever had.

Me and my partner came for a little get away, we had an amazing time in the lodge. It had everything you need. The hot tube in the woods with a lovely experience. We have both spoke about coming back and doing all again and we have told everyone about our experience and have recommended here.

August 16th - 18th we took 24 ladies from Greetham Valley golf course on an away break. We chose the venue because we had had a good experience a few years previously and prices were very competitive. During the planning phase, as we communicated about our numbers, room needs etc. they were very helpful. The day before arrival one member had a severe medical emergency and was unable to come. They did not charge. We had a private dining room for our meals for the group and for use for prize giving. Our members enjoyed the spa and golf

I am guessing that in the past this hotel and spa would have been great but it is showing signs of tiredness and i think its well overdue its proposed refurb. That aside the wedding organisation and the staff supporting the wedding were second to none and i cant commend Les any higher than to say that he is a credit to the hospitality industry

We stayed here for three nights, two of them disturbed by the fire alarm going off at night, the second one at 2.30am, when I mentioned this when we checked out no apology or reassurance given. No one came to reassure us when both alarms went off. We had lunch there, unfortunately it was poor and jacket potatoes were cold and inedible. Breakfast was busy, but a lot of choice, staff seemed quite stressed and tried their best. Swimming pool was lovely but we were told at one point, quite rudely, that we had to book five days in advance and that it was fully booked for the whole day. They managed to squeeze us in at 10am and it wasn't busy. We were under the impression that if we stayed in the hotel we would have priority if we wanted to swim. Unfortunately our hooded towel was taken by mistake during a room clean. I informed reception who said they would contact me about this, I am still waiting for a phone call. On the plus side, lovely setting and room was clean.

After a terrible few years for me and my partner this was the first 1 night away we have had in many many years so I wanted to make it special for us both as i know it will be many more years before we get to have 1 night away again. Completely ruined by this awful hotel!! You can't check in until 4pm and have to be out by 10am so u don't even get 24 hrs in ur room. We were not told about having to book to have dinner in the restaurant so when we went to have a meal together we were told there was no room and so we ended up going back to the awful room and not having anything to eat. I actually cried when I saw the room we were staying in!! Wallpaper coming off the walls, basic, old, dirty furniture, and the beds yuk!! The beds are absolutely awful! The most uncomfortable mattress I've ever laid on (I say laid because there was not a single minute of sleep had) theres huge dips in the mattresses, my feet and head were higher than the rest of my body! Gave me backache!! You can feel and hear every single spring, honestly the worst bed I've ever had to lay on! £144 for 1 night of hell, I could of and really wish I had of stayed somewhere much nicer and comfier. And before you come back with 'ur refurbishing the rooms' if this is the case then you should not be charging £144 for the rooms that haven't been refurbished!! Ruined our only time away together! I will not be recommending this place to anyone and I will definitely not be returning!

Stayed here last week for a wedding. The couple got married outside which was lovely apart from the amount of wasps outside and in the bar! You could see the wasp nest on the outside of the building. Wedding guests were being stung, wasps in drinks. It was a nightmare and very distracting from the wedding ceremony. Mentioned it to the girl behind the bar who shrugged her shoulders and said she didn't know anything about it as wasps were all over the bar in front of her! Room was okay, clean which was nice. Overlooking the roof and the sound of a noisy fan droned on all night. Very expensive for what it was. Check in at 4 is very late for the cost. Luckily, we were able to check in at 2 but for less than 24 hours in a room, £102 is very overpriced. Don't bother having a shower, it's a trickle. Water pressure is absolutely terrible. Very nice location but not a great stay, would not stay again and would definitely advise people about the wasps beforehand. Also this hotel is card only, do not take cash at all.

A beautiful place to stay in a marvellous setting. The bedroom was very spacious and you could have had a dance in the bathroom. A very large comfortable bed. The only negative comment would be about a very limited evening menu..The addition of a pasta dish and some dishes with fresh seasonal vegetables would improve it greatly. All the staff were very helpful and friendly.

The hotel was very nice and the staff were excellent and dealt with all enquires with no fuss we would stay there again and the gym and sauna are good the restaurant was nice and tidy only problem is there are to many items with chips maybe an assorted arrange of potatoes would be nice.

We stayed for 2 nights for my best friends wedding and it was just the perfect weekend. The staff were so lovely and couldn't be more helpful. The food was beautiful .... I have allergies which were catered for without hesitation. Every time we passed a staff member they had a smile on their face and every request we had was dealt with without a second thought. The beds were so comfortable, fans were available, breakfast was lovely and regularly replenished so was pretty fresh throughout the morning and plenty available. So clean and lovely. cant thank you enough for a wonderful weekend stay

On the plus side - the large bed in our premium room was very comfortable, the views were lovely and there was a complimentary EV charging point, but it's all downhill from there. This hotel relies of on its lovely setting and the fact that the building looks quite grand from the outside and from a distance, As someone else has said on TA it was like going back in a time machine to the 1980s, cheap, old fashioned, tacky furniture and decor everywhere. My partner said it reminded him of an old people's home. We paid £160 for a so called 'premium' room, yes it was a large room, there was a four poster bed and the view was lovely, but the furniture was like something you'd find in a student let - e.g plastic sofa and chairs. The shower pressure was very weak and the blind in the bathroom didn't work properly. The worst problem was the noise - our room was above the terrace where every night there were groups of people drinking, shouting and laughing until quite late. Nothing wrong with having a good time, but this is not the place to stay if you are on business or looking for a rest and an early night. Service was very patchy with some staff being charming and attentive, and some staff being very apathetic. The food was awful, cheap ingredients and badly prepared. We were shown to a table with sticky ring marks and when I asked for it to be wiped the waitress then left the top of the table swimming with a puddle of water. No common sense or initiative. Likewise when I commented on a large boot print on the seat of my chair before I sat down on it in light coloured trousers the waiter shrugged and walked away with no attempt to change the chair or clean it. I could go on....

We recently booked a spa overnight stay at kenwick, having been twice previously and enjoyed it. We were so disappointed this time, the overall experience was below average.. the place is dated, run down and shoddy. The afternoon tea was average…definitely nothing home made about it, plastic sausage rolls and cakes/hard scones. The tables hadn't been wiped, the glasses were dirty. The evening meal was terrible, service was slow. The food was sub standard, cold, tasteless and one of the plates was served with a hair on it. The menu was limited and more suited to whether spoons than a spa hotel. The overall experience was below average, definitely not value for money and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone!

We had just walked out of a britannia hotel as it was unfit rang best Western to try get a last minute room they managed to get me a double deluxe with spa included perfect for my wife's 40th birthday we arrived after only booking 1 hour prior we was checked in quickly. Looking around you could see how clean it was went up to our room what can I say perfect. We booked with breakfast the bed was that comfortable we did not want to get up. On heading down for breakfast there was the standard buffet with continental breakfast cereal fruit selection tea coffee juices for a really small fee you can order extra like salmon bagels so that was our breakfast all cooked well the restaurant in the evening is good value and quality with a small but more than adequate menu. The staff our all very friendly and a pleasure to be in the company of all I can say is the staff and management are a real asset and make the stay even more pleasurable. The spa is fantastic included in your booking and we have used it few times cleanliness is at the top level here as well in the current climate this is a big plus. I would recommend this very highly so much we have tried to extend our stay for a few more days unfortunately they are fully booked and now wished we had booked for a longer stay.

Superb stay in the Garden View Suite. The hotel and grounds are great and we thoroughly our stay. The forest walks are good. The terrace bar is great for al fresco dining. We are going back in August. Well done

This is our 4th spa break at Kenwick park we had a issue that was dealt with straight away by talking to Phyllis who then discussed it with Alan who resolved the problem and apologized for inconvenience ,we can not thank them both enough for their help they went above and beyond they are a credit to the company for doing a excellent job! we will continue to visit, thank you both of you we appreciate all the hard work you guys do!!.

We arrived for a 2 night stay and had booked 2 rooms. Our intial rooms (301 and 302) were dreadful! The main problem was that the rooms were on the top floor and as it was so hot we wanted to open our windows, but the noise from a broken kitchen extractor fan plus a refrigration unit was so noisy that we asked for 2 room changes. The manageress was really helpful and our daughter was immediately moved into room 119 and it was stunning! The room was newer, bigger and had a fab view of a wooded area and golf course. Unfortunately there were no other rooms available to move me and my partner that evening, but we were told that the kitchen extractor fan would go off at 11, it didn't, so I rang the night manager at 12:30 who helpfully turned it off. The next morning at 7a.m, with very little sleep due to the noisy refrigeration unit, we went back to reception and were told that we were moving above our daughter in the new block and were allocate room 220. I so wish we had been allocated these 2 rooms from the start, because they are truly relaxing and quiet. The staff were all great, breakfast was lovely, although we would have appreciated a bit more choice of fresh fruit. And a note for vegetarians - veggie sausages need to be ordered by your breakfast host, but they were yummy! The evening meals were good sized portions and the bar prices weren't over the top either.

Some good and some bad. The good. Our room (in the end) was smart and clean. The breakfast sausage was amazing. Bar prices not bad. Nice setting and grounds. Staff were pleasant. The bad. Service in the garden bar was very slow as it was left to one person, who did her best but she needed help. We were initially given a room in a separate building -'a small converted house. Having taken my mother in law to her room, ours by comparison was very poor. For example she had a double walk in shower. We got a dated 80s colored bath with shower over it. The whole place smelt damp. Why were we given this room when we booked two rooms and the other was so different? I'm suspicious that it might be we are a same sex couple and this original room had two beds as opposed to the double we booked. It's amazing how often this happens.... To be fair we asked for a room change and a very helpful lady on reception sorted it, giving us a room near the other we booked. (Why didn't we get that originally?) Check in/out -'this is a big downside for us. No check in till 4 and check out at 10am! No chance of a lie in!

First impressions of room were that it is a little dated.. some of the wallpaper has started peeling and water stains in the dated bathroom. Later tried to have a shower. Water pressure was dreadful! What would take me 10 mins at home took me 30 mins! Had to call down for room service for toilet roll as only a quarter of a roll in our room! Only 2 bath size towels when 3 people booked to stay! Had to wedge window open as was not staying open and no child lock on window despite being on 1st floor! One of the bedside lamps not working and couldn't use bar as private wedding function booked! Parking was dreadful and spaces very tight. Upon ordering room service some items listed on menu unavailable! Swimming pool was lovely as was sauna rooms.. very clean and beds comfortable. Would I return… No! For the money charged I have stayed in much better

Our second visit to this hotel after enjoying our previous visit during the pandemic felt we must return.The facilities including the golf are excellent with all staff extremely helpfull. Will return!

The hotel itself is good, but the staff let it down. We were part of a group booking, so had our own room for dinner and breakfast. First morning, although we knew where our room was, we were called back in order to be shown to the room. Then just left with no instructions as to where the fruit juice, cereals and buffet were,or that it was self service. We were left to just sit there until someone went back out to see what was happening! Friday morning was busy, they actually ran out of eggs, bacon, sausages, bread, coffee. No forethought at all ie we are running low, let's organise some more. It was a case of run out first and then try to deal with a situation worsening by the minute with a breakfast room full of complaining people milling about looking for something other than baked beans or half a tomato! Most of the staff appeared to have had little training, and most of them very obviously didn't want to be there at all. Some were even complaining to the guests.

A group of 6 friends stayed in a lodge on a spa weekend to kick start my 50th birthday month. We had originally booked through the Spabreaks company (NEVER AGAIN) they messed up the booking with kenwick park and poor Chloe-Ann from kenwick park had to resolve Spabreaks mistakes which she did perfectly. She up graded our lodge and gave us a complimentary Afternoon tea. All the staff from the restaurant, chefs and spa area where fantastic nothing was too much trouble and the food was wonderful. I would definitely recommend kenwick park and will definitely be booking again. A fabulous weekend away.

Staff were welcoming, helpful and kind. The Spa was relaxing the pool and saunas were great. The room was lovely and great size. The restaurant had lovely views and staff were helpful. Menu wasn't vast but this may have helped decision making!

On arriving we was given a room we wanted a double bed not twin so we pushed together on doing so there was about a inch and half on dust on the carpet nuts and screws on the floor and chewing gum dried the breakfast time was a joke they had 2 people front of the house and running out off every thing staff couldn't keep up tried there best bad management we had been at a wedding night before all wedding guests in different rooms no tea spoons and to top it all 2 staff 100+covers over three places poor staff have to run around

Myself and now Husband were getting married at Kenwick Golf Club (which is separate to the hotel) but had booked the hotel for x 3 nights (the night before the wedding, the night of the wedding and the night after wedding) The hotel itself was nice enough with friendly staff, and the room we stayed in was also really nice and modern, so can't fault that! However, I had emailed the hotel a couple of weeks prior to our stay to see if there were any extras I could 'add on' to make our stay extra special (which I offered to pay for prior to arrival), I suggested a bucket of beers could be placed in the room so my husband-to-be had a nice surprise when he checked in - the hotel receptionist Mary said she'd check with her manager and then come back to me, but unfortunately I never heard anything back. During the week of the wedding I was so busy sorting other things, I just didn't have the time to chase this up. So, overall the room was lovely, but we weren't made to feel special in any way.. despite us choosing to celebrate such a special occasion with Kenwick. Other hotels we have stayed at have put congratulatory cards in the room etc even for just anniversary's/birthdays, so the fact Kenwick didn't make any effort when they knew we were celebrating our Wedding day was a tad disappointing.

room was lovely, clean and very comfortable, staff very helpful and friendly, food was good, swimming pool lovely, and spa excellent the treatment's I had were very good value and excellent I could not fault , grounds are beautiful over all a very pleasant stay.

We booked for a weeks rest and recuperation. It was our second stay at the hotel in a superior room. One of the best rooms we have stayed in, at any hotel. The view across the golf course in the early morning is one of the best vistas you could have. The staff both house keeping and restaurant we're very attentive. The food although not fine dinning was of a very good quality. Although the menu was limited when staying for 7 nights. We used both the spa and golf course and found both excellent. Would recommend this hotel for a quiet country retreat. Great facilities and the town is great for shopping and the coast is on 10 mile away

Very nice afternoon tea served with a glass of prosecco was enjoyed by 4 of us and nothing was too much trouble. The gluten free guests were extremely pleased. A super choice of savoury bites, with scones and cakes all home made - and attentive staff - well done and thank you. Would definitely recommend.

We decided to try this place again for an evening meal. We had not been since before the first lockdown as the staff were so rude the last time. We left it for a while to see if things had got any better and if the place had been updated as it was sad and old previously. Hmmm... When we got there, we wondered why we had bothered as the menus and the place was still the same. The staff could not cope with any questions about the menu. They either leant over us saying 'Oh...Um...Dunno' or they cockily, and inaccurately, pretended that they had the answer at their fingertips. They didn't. Our meals arrived messed up 6 times over. Eventually, we got it sorted. No discount was offered. While we were eating, on what was supposed to be a quiet couple's meal, staff arrived to noisily relocate tables around us as if we did not exist. In addition, we were seated near to a family with toddlers who were allowed to crawl all over the floor and scream the place down, even though it was much later in the evening. Nothing was said about that. We should have lifted our plates and moved into the bar area, but, by that time, it had all gone horribly wrong. We should have walked out. Pity we didn't. Instead, we paid, for overpriced, bland food, served by individuals who need to be trained in public relations. Ironically, we handed over our hard-earned cash via the only payment method we were 'allowed' to use, which was not our personal choice and which staff argued was the only one they would accept. What an insult to injury right at the end of the evening, and they were still hanging around looking for a tip. A miserable experience. We are learning from the experience. We hope that this awful restaurant does too.

Wonderful treat for my mums 71st Birthday and everything was lovely and spot on. The warm welcome from staff, greetings, afternoon tea, treatments and hydropool with spa rooms and facilities were brilliant. Really enjoyable day, will definately visit again and recommend to anyone looking for a luxurious treat.

We recently stayed at Kenwick Park Hotel for an Easter break, and a family party. The staff were amazing, friendly and professional, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast buffet was constantly refreshed with tasty items. We ate in the evenings, and the menu was varied, and the food was excellent. The room was clean and spacious with lovely views of the golf course and grounds.

Nice clean hotel all the staff were helpful and friendly had one or two issue which were resolved for us no problem. The gym pool spa etc all clean and tidy. The grounds are lovely theres a nice walk down to the woods. However… you have to book most things swimming evening meal spa and a time slot for breakfast. We did bot find this out u til we arrived and tried to use the pool and have an evening meal.

Excellent location close to plenty of sea side towns and very pet friendly. Staff were excellent and very accommodating. The grounds were nice and spacious and plenty of space for the dogs to run around.

Lovely hotel, brilliant staff, the room was brilliant, bed, enormous, lovely and warm. Good sized TV,,we managed to access Netflix. Bar prices are over the top .. bottle of rose wine £25 but we were a captive audience so tough !!. You can order takeaways to be delivered to pick up at reception...we ordered from China Garden in louth, good portions & for 2 persons came to £15...I gave £20 and it was well worth it. Louth Town centre is 10mins away so buy your wine from there.

We stayed for a spa break in April 2022, this was my 4th spa break here and it was so so disappointing compared to the previous ones, to the point we won't return again. The treatment, a facial, was great and can't complain about that at all. The spa facilities were good, however the steam room was out of order, which it has been for a while I believe. The afternoon tea was such a letdown, the sandwiches were dry, you get a random bit of sausage roll that's been ripped off a larger sausage roll - why they don't cut it I'm not sure! The scones were so dry, the 2 small cakes were just awful, so so dry it was like powder in your mouth! I've since looked back on trip advisor and seen other people mention this and the manager responds with saying they will let the spa know but clearly nothing has changed. The hotel is so old fashioned and it's like walking into a care home; smells like one too. We had a room upgrade due to a separate problem we had with the hotel prior to arrival so were in the newly refurbished part, it's just on par with a premier inn though so nothing deluxe about it. Dread to think what the other old fashioned rooms are like. The restaurant menu was really quite disappointing with not a great choice of food, it was nice though just a bit boring and nothing exciting to choose from (tomato soup & pork chop) I was too scared to order the brownie in case it was the same as the powder dry one from the spa so went for the cheeses and for £9 it was another let down, 2 small triangles of cheddar, 2 triangles of smoked cheese and a random green cheese with 5 crackers and about the same amount of grapes. Breakfast was fine, it's a help your self set up which was great as you can get what you want and leave when you want. Paid our settlement on leaving, not asked if we had a good stay or anything but by this point we were just done and wanted to get home after barely getting any sleep due to the rock hard bed and pillows. I'm not sure if it's covid that's caused the hotel/spa to go downhill or a change of owners but honestly it used to be such good value for money doing the spa breaks and I now feel like it wasn't worth the money and I wouldn't recommend to others anymore like I used. It's such a shame it's gone so downhill.

Shocked at just how much we enjoyed out stay at Kenwick. Beautiful grounds, cosy beds, great food and very clean throughout. The staff were amazing! All so friendly and welcoming from the very second we step foot through the door. The hotel manager was especially friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful hotel in beautiful grounds. Friendly welcome and a lovely atmosphere. Beautiful room, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Did not get chance to use the facilities but will definitely be booking another stay.

Had a fantastic time at kenwick Park as a little get away with my partner. Rooms slightly dated, as is the restaurant, bar and reception area. However, that isn't a negative, just an observation. We ate in the restaurant and the food was lovley. Nothing out of this world like fine dining but the food matched the surroundings and we thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the fresh grimsby haddock, my partner had the ribeye steak. Both meals were cooked fresh, the haddock was as fresh as iv ever had before and my partners steak was perfect. He said it was very tasty. Service staff brilliant too. Nothing too much trouble for them. They did looked rushed, and one of them did mention they had a function on at the same time. I have no idea how they coped so well with how busy everywhere was, but they managed it. Breakfast was good. Good quality food cooked well. Unfortunately breakfast service wasn't as good as the evening, with us having to ask for alot of things that we feel should have been offered, tea, coffee ect, but overall was fine. We had an amazing stay at kenwick Park. Hard working staff, good food and nice surroundings for walks ect. We will be back.

I stayed over the weekend with my husband and 3 young children. After driving for 5 hours we were booked in the restaurant for 8pm. As we encountered a bit of traffic on the road we were a bit behind on schedule so we called at 7.30pm to warn that we will be 15/20 min late. We were told that our reservation would have to be cancelled and could be offered a list of takeaway places instead. I was totally shocked and after insisting lengthily they agreed to accept us. We turn up actually just 5 min late and the restaurant was nearly empty. So unnecessary and so stressful. Also I requested a baby cot when I booked. The cot was set in the room but without bedding. I went to the reception to ask for some. I was told that normally people bring their own beddings?! I stayed in many hotel and never brought my covers with me. Turns out they had no cover whatsoever and they just gave me a double size bed sheet for my baby. Once again very poor. The room was bellow average. Old and dated

My family made an effort to take me somewhere nice for Mother's Day lunch as COVID have kept us home for the last 2 Mother's Days. However, sorry to say, very little effort was put in from Kenwick Park. The decor was bland, not a flower on the table to mark the special day's occasion. Was to be seen. Then to get to the important part, our orders were taken incorrectly, the main meals were delivered without important bits ie stuffing, chipolatos apple sauce and chocolate flakes on the dessert. We had a 3 course meal and for £27 I think we expected a little more effort and not some half-hearted attempt at something that really resembled a meal you could get at any pub on a Sunday afternoon for half the price. We will think twice before returning.

200 mile drive on a Wednesday to arrive at 7:10 and restaurant booked out for the night and the breakfast booked out for the morning - due to a party of 30? I have stayed here extensively over the last 3 years and the gym and pool is the only reason I return as the rooms and restaurant are average at best. Gone down hill and I will look elsewhere but their overcrowded car park is proof that there are few real alternatives on the area.

Not been here since covid started , room was dated nothing special , check in is late at 4pm , restaurant was poor we was 1st in waited 40 minutes for food order to be taken but wasnt served 1st despite been 1st in .. In all only on par with premier inn now ,

This hotel is located in beautiful surroundings and was peaceful. The staff and all the accommodation was excellent, will be definitely be returning in the near future.The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Having looked forward to a spa day I was given for Christmas, today has been a real disappointment. The spa facilities are very limited, with steam room not even working. Outside area needs attention, broom head & rubbish thrown on the floor & filthy windows. We were asked to vacate the entire pool/spa area for 45 mins whilst a class was on. No welcome drink. Afternoon tea was dreadful. Scones beyond dry & very average standard for all food. We weren't given tea or Prosecco which we thought would have come as standard with it. Children in the pool splashing around doesn't create a deluxe spa day as sold. Still with two hours to kill before our treatments with nothing left to do! Relaxation room had used glasses on every surface & beds unmade all day. Redeeming part of the day a nice facial.

What they're serving in the restaurant is equivalent to 2-for-£15 chain-pub food. SEVENTY-FIVE pounds for two courses of the most disappointing rubbish you could expect. They didn't have the salmon I initially chose (which came with couscous), so I asked if I could have the same dish but with chicken instead. The ‘chef' (20-something ‘microwave-operative') hadn't ‘prepared' any couscous, so I couldn't have it…I'm not so fussed that I couldn't ultimately have what I wanted, rather it told me all I needed to know about the kitchen, its staff and their abilities, thus explaining our negative experience. The entire 10-year anniversary visit we stayed for was marred by this. It's the second time I've stayed in a few months and the food was mediocre last time too. Of course, I could head into Louth to a local restaurant next time, but the inconvenience means I'll just avoid the hotel altogether. Turd (albeit remnants) in room toilet on arrival. Steam room out of action (although foot spas that were down on my last visit had been fixed), but the ‘spiral' shower next to the ice room and swimwear spin-dryer *still* not repaired. Leisure facilities reception staff told us we could not book an 11am session due to an aqua-class at 11:15-11:45. Despite enquiring if I could use the other facilities beyond the swimming pool itself (understanding that the class would require the main pool), but was told a flat no. YOU HAVE ACTUAL SIGNS THAT HAVE GONE TO THE LENGTH TO SAY GUESTS CAN INDEED UTILISE THE FACILITIES OTHER THAN THE POOL AT THE TIMES OF CLASSES!! See photo. It is these little things that totally make or break the entire experience and ultimately dictate your success/failure. Non-electric vehicles in the EV charging bays…owned by the STAFF!! Kitchen staff (dressed in recognisable attire) came to get something from his diesel pick-up truck whilst I was plugging in next to him. There was another pick-up truck the other side of him (all EV bays). 10am check-out (admittedly extended with no qualms upon my request to a maximum of 11am), seems earlier than most hotels I've stayed in.

Came here on Saturday 5th February with my mum who had treated me to a Massage & Afternoon Tea for my 40th birthday. The Massage was fantastic but the Afternoon Tea let things down. We sat down & a lady came over to ask if we wanted any drinks. We thought it was an odd thing to ask providing the Afternoon Tea came with tea & processco. We told the lady this to which she replied "yeah i know, i was just checking to see if you liked it" ???? The cake stand came out with 4 different little triangles each. There was egg mayo, tuna mayo, plain cheese & cucumber. We had the cheese but left the others as we don't like egg mayo etc. The scones were hard & dry & so too was the little cakes on top. They were very basic like they came out of a packet from the supermarket. We still didn't have our pot of tea at this point so my mum had to chase this up to which they finally brought out. Two ladies behind us had to ask where their tea was too. My mum asked another lady if customers get a choice of sandwiches as we didn't like the ones offered to us & that it was a waste of money. This lady replied that we should call up & tell them what we would like in advance. As this was our first visit we didn't know this & it doesn't say online thats what we needed to do so how are customers supposed to know this. She did say she could go downstairs & see if there was anything available down there but my mum said it doesn't matter as we were nearly done. Signage needs to be improved when entering the grounds,ie,spa carpark directing us where to go, it just says leisure club not spa. There is a Spa sign but you only see that on exiting. We parked outside the main entrance to the hotel & had to walk through the hotel to the spa which was a nightmare as there was no signs in the hotel directing us. We may come back to the spa for one of the treatments as that was great but definitley not for food.

My partner and I have visited Kenwick Hotel twice now and on both occasions we were really happy with our visit. Lovely leisure facilities there and lovely walks nearby - we recommend the Snipe Dales! The staff are very friendly and welcoming, we never had any issues. Lovely food too, malre sure you book the pool, gym & restaurant in advance to make sure you get a slot as it can be busy!

Overnight stay. Booked a deluxe double room which was one of the new rooms & very nice. Spacious, lovely big bed, nice bathroom. Clean & everything you need. Staff on reception & in the restaurant were very friendly & helpful. Would highly recommend & definitely visit again

Good stay at the hotel, arriving in the evening navigating the area was quite difficult but once parked up, no issued. Checked in quickly and room was in good order. Unfortunately due to a large event(presumably wedding related) there was no availability for the use of restaurant so can not comment on this aspect of the hotel. Due to the location this did result in a 15 min drive to locate food elsewhere but was not a huge problem. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay here again if the occasion arose.

We really enjoyed our stay, we had one of the newly finished rooms and it was very spacious and comfortable with all the modern amenities you would wish for like bedside charging points, smart TV etc. Breakfast was excellent and overall the food was very good, bar area a little small but it was not busy so was not a problem. Well equipped leisure complex with a large gym and a large pool, steam room, sauna etc but you do need to book this in "sessions" though this may be due to the current restrictions etc Plenty of parking, drink prices are sensible, grounds/golf course large and relaxing. Overall a real find, being 30 minutes from the Seaside is another great bonus too!

A wonderful short break. Probably the best spa break I have had. Cannot praise kenwick park enough. Accommodation, food, facilities and staff exceeded our expectations. Will definitely return and recommend

Kenwick Hotel was a beautiful place to stay, only slight down comments are the paintwork to the bedroom doors in the corridors were very scruffy. The radiators were off but got hot during the night. The curtains hung away from the windows and a ground floor room meant exterior grounds lights shone into the room through the night.

Happy to take money off a single parent for a gift for her parents but even though many lockdowns and restrictions intervened the general manager refused point blank to extend the offer . I would not trust this so called leisure company.

For a three star, its not bad. Nice grounds, good facilities beyond what I'd expect for a 3 or even 4 star hotel. Although I didn't use most of them so not sure what they were actually like. Massive bonus for having free car chargers. That is reason I went there and frankly I'd be giving one less star if it wasn't for this amazing bonus. Sadly there were a number of issues otherwise I would have rated higher. Breakfast: looked like an amazing cooked breakfast only to be disappointed. It was dry and horrible. Tasted like it had been cooked a week before and left to dry out on the heat. I didn't have breakfast the second day because it was so bad. Bed: I couldn't sleep. The mattress is like concrete. The pill was like a brick. The duvet is a very poor low quality synthetic material. Heating: Very cold in the room on arrival and the controls didn't work. The heating did come on vey very early in the morning though and that also added to why I couldn't sleep EV chargers: three tesla destination super chargers and one untethered charger that I didn't look at. One charger didn't work. The second gave me 6A but 3 phase. Slow but ok to be fully charged overnight. There were problems with non EV cars parking in those bays and the staff didn't seem interested in dealing with that. The staff couldn't tell me how the billing worked either so it looks like they are free. The staff shouldn't have been able to tell me though. Housekeeping: None! Beds not made, towels not changed etc. When I asked about this I was told it was because of covid. They must be the only hotels with this policy in 2022. This wasn't explained upfront. The staff member said he would talk to his manager but never got back to me Heating: Didn't work on arrival but did kick in super early in the morning. The hotel then became unbearably hot. I couldn't sleep and eventually just had to leave. That explains the 10am checkout policy! Shower: Warm and powerful. Quite good other than the holder on the wall was broken so it had to be held

Just come back from a lovely spa break we arranged for a friend. 3 of us stayed in hotel and enjoyed the spa break deal which I thought was very good value for money. The staff were brilliant in the spa and hotel nothing too much trouble and so organised they even gave me an interniary for our spa day. Wasn't too busy in the spa could use all areas we wanted and hot stone massage and the relaxation room was superb. Nice touches having keyless lockers and own designated table to use at spa for food and drinks during these covid times. Afternoon tea was nice nothing extra special but did the job, glass of fizz was lovely. Hotel room was clean if not a little tired and dated but I have read refurbs are on the card so maybe this was one of the older rooms. Nice touch been able to have 3 adults in one room. Food on evening was great, service was spot on good range of food and portions decent size. Breakfast you had to book a slot this wasn't an issue for us, was running low a little by time we sat to eat as they only had 9.30 slots left but enough left to fill us up. Only thing I would say is the hotel is really hot our room was boiling even when we turned off rads and had window wide open, it was very warm in restaurant too, a minor thing and maybe it is not always like this. Thankyou for a lovely stay!

Nice hotel, great spa facilities, good value and with a very friendly and warm staff. We enjoyed every second !!! I would definitely go back there with the family in future. A little bit expensive for food and drinks, but the food was great.

We had a very enjoyable night away at the Kenwick Park Hotel. It is a beautiful setting for a weekend away. The rooms are very roomy with everything you need for a night away. Pool facilities very good. I will definitely return.

I booked the Bed, breakfast dinner drop down option online.When I sat down for dinner I was surprised to see prices on the menu. I checked with the waiter and he reassured me that the dinner option was for any three course options. At check out I learned that the dinner option was actually a kind of deposit and was charged the full composite cost. I felt cheated despite the stay being very enjoyable before checkout.

Christmas Day completely ruined after not seeing my children for two years meal poor and service rushed whole meal done within under an hour and food quality extremely poor Guessed seated to dirty tables in the end we didn't even stay over

Well so far before I even got there I waited 6 hours to be contacted by the spa after I left a message. They never replied at all. I tried all 6 supposed departments only to get no answer or an answerphone message every time. On arrival the reception tried to charge me again for my room that was booked online and paid in full. By this time I was getting really annoyed. No apology provided. Then we get to our room to find that there is no hotel information provided at all !! So we have no idea about the spa facilities, golf club, food service or emergency numbers (should it be needed). Is there any room service, what is the room service, can we have our breakfast delivered to our room, are we able to order a food delivery to the room at any time, how do we get to the spa, do we get provided with towels for the spa, when does it open and close, where is it ??? All these questions and more !!! I will never stay again and I haven't even finished my stay let alone stayed for 24 hours !!!!!! Diabolical !!!!

Our first visit to kenwick at Christmas. Superb experience from start to finish. A wonderful warm and friendly atmosphere for Xmas lunch. Exemplary service from all the staff. Well done to the whole team.

Having had an excellent lazy Sunday spa break in October 2021, my friend and I re booked. Wasn't disappointed whatsoever... Fabulous relaxing stay. The Ellemis facial... Amazing. Afternoon tea, could be tweaked but still very nice and glasses of prosecco too. The evening meal.... Oh my days... Outstanding.. Starter baby prawn and crayfish with pea shoots 5***** my friend had chicken liver and brandy pate.. Beautiful. We both opted for the Grimsby haddock and chips main.... Best we've ever tasted. Breakfast... So much choice... You would ever go hungry here.. Fruit juices, ceral, continental cheeses and meat, fresh fruit, yoghurt. Help yourself to what you want, Bacon, sausage, eggs, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, hash Brown's. Toast and preserves and honey. Amazing. Thank you to all the staff who went above and beyond yet again.... All the above for £109 what's to moan about????? Beautiful rooms too 5***** all the way xx Heather & Linda

Booked 2 rooms. One “dog” friendly. It wasn't. It was a pokey little room on the ground floor with no space and nothing to offer our dog so you'd need to bring your own bowls, food, and beds. There was no designated dog walk area. Almost anti dog walk as there were signs up that no dogs allowed. The bar area wasn't dog friendly so no where to sit down and have a drink/ coffee with your dog. Actually there was no nice chill out area. There were no designated bins. The other Room we had was nicely refurbished but miles away from the family room that the dog was in. Dinner was good though. Breakfast was OK. Buffet in different rooms for hot and cold. Horrid coffee. Bring your own! Restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. No one tells you when you check in but you need to to book Spa/ Pool times.

Beautiful place. The room was of a high standard & lovely. Amenities exceeded expectations. Breakfast is highly recommended Only reason didn't sleep well was other guest being loud and slamming doors.

Having been treated appallingly by Hoseasons who cancelled our lodge booking at the last minute we bookd the hotel for one night to see Donna Nook seals with our grandkids and their mum and dad. Ridiculously late check in (4pm) and early check out (10am) weren't brilliant but we managed to get into one of the rooms early after the storms meant an earlier arrival than planned. Rooms were corporate and OK with the odd repair needed. Buffet breakfast was ok but our evening meal was poor, especially children's meals which were very poor value for money. Imagine a child ordering pizza ( with salad) who then is given cheese and tomato on a slice of toasted bread with chips! We complained and it was taken off the bill but the first waiter challenged shrugged his shoulders and said " Sorry that's what it is"!!! Probably won't be back this way.

We stayed last night (27/11/21) at late notice Elaine on reception was brilliant with us. The weather & the roads where against us so had to cancel but then it changed and we re booked and Elaine was brilliant arranging our stay. There was a Wedding on so Elaine very thoughtfully put us in the Annex building so we wouldn't be disturbed we had a lovely nights sleep.

Staff friendly treatment great room warm and nice view afternoon tea absolutely awful dry scones dry sandwiches and mini muffin 12 for 99p out of supermarket was going to take my husband won't go now everyone was leaving the afternoon tea .such a disappointment evening meal ok breakfast great

Went to this hotel for work purposes. The hotel as a whole was good amazing facilities with gym,spa and swimming pool just a short walk ifyou want that sort of thing.I had one meal in the hotel at night as I found it overpriced and not much variety,and when you ate on a budget its a little constraining. I had downloaded the menu so I knew the price of what I wanted .The food was OK nothing special,when I came to pay I tapped my card on the machine and thought nothing off it until I looked at the receipt and found I'd been charged more than the price stated. I brought this to the attention to a member of staff who went away for a good ten minutes to tell me that that was the price so I brought the online menu to show her and said it was a old price I just mention I'd downloaded it that morning and the actual sheet they give you said the same as I had on my phone .in the end she gave me a drink for the inconvenience. As for my room it was nice and spacious with a comfy bed a good shower and a mini fridge a up to date TV with now amazon and Netflix on it so that was a bonus

a short spa break for two ladies with additional needs and their carer. Our needs were met as we had requested, we stayed in lodge 15, the nearest to the hotel and leisure facilities. Lodge was extremely clean, warm and comfortable, with plenty of fresh towels available.

cottage room was pleasant. as single elderly visitor I hoped to be able to enjoy dinner at the hotel and had believed it was organised by group I was joining . unfortunately not, I was shocked to learn I was expected to go to Louth to find a meal. never have I had to book meals before hand when travelling for business or pleasure. to hotels. a fellow guest offered to take me with them. thankfully. Having travelled for 6 hours to Louth I was looking forward to a good nights sleep before my early departure the following day. however at 10 pm I was awoken by the sound of a disco in a very close part of the hotel. which continued until 1 am. great for the people enjoying themselves but too close for me to sleep. then there was commotion in the car park behind my room, no sleep until 2 am. there was further noise in the car park at 4am after which I was unable to sleep. I tried contacting the night porter several times but the call went to messenger and was never returned Later in the day I returned to my room to find the door open and the wc had been used !!! thankfully there was nothing of value in the room other than clothes. I discussed this with reception, who had no knowledge of why this had happened, when someone said it had been noted that the door was open. I asked why it hadn't been closed ?? because if I had left it open intentionally and returned to find it closed I could have asked reception to open it again. Very poor thought for the customer. I mentioned the problems with the disco, but the reply was sorry, as there was another event the second night they agreed to move me to another room. which I appreciated , dinner was only available for 5.30 ! but that was fine as I was tired. dinner was mediocre and not what I would have expected for a hotel of this calibre. I paid a lot of money to stay there and feel consideration should have been shown to a single occupant and not have to be subjected to noise until the early hours of the morning. I understand it was a charity even outlined below but for me it was pure hell and ruined my project the following day.

After helping to raise £1,000's of pounds on Saturday night at Kenwick Park, we decided to stay at the hotel afterwards. The food on the night and at breakfast was hot, delicious and well presented. The staff were exhausted but very professional, even with masks on, you could see the smiles. One young gentleman - Alan, went out of his way for us. His humour & dedication to what he does was very much appreciated by myself & my husband.

Had the unfortunate occasion of staying at kenwick park. I was taken away by lack of knowledge and pure arrogance of reception staff. This put to the side i thought things could only get better, how wrong was i. room stunk of mould, shower was freezing. Approached reception to " itll get hotter" just didnt cut it. Meal was very lack lustre, luke warm and bland. Menu was seriously lacking any enthusiasm. I asked about spa facilities to which i got told. " i dont know, take a walk round and have a look" a walk round were ive never stayed here before!! Felt appalled after paying a good price for night stay. I just hope the owners Are aware of what arrogant and rude staff members they have acquired. Brian

We booked the double deluxe room at the Best Western Kenwick Park Hotel, room was lovely, staff and services amazing - really great value for money. Will definitely be returning. 2 very happy customers

We asked for a quiet room and that request was absolutely fulfilled. However, we arrived late both nights and tried to run a bath. (Hot, and I mean hot!) water came out of both taps, so we had to let the water go and use the shower. My husbands a heating engineer so there was a lot of tutting and head shaking going on.

We normally visit here and book 2 nights to get most from stay for hydro pool it was broken, the jacuzzi was smelly first day this was disappointing and disgusting for price. We understood there would be covid procedures in place booking breakfast alright but to have no hot food ready booked is ridiculous. Nothing on tables to say you can order different dishes or types of cooking methods, seems disorganised. I will say room was comfy. The website says nothing about booking 1 hr time slots in leasure facilities it just says the swimming pool on email but this is everything except gym. Nothing anywhere to say they charge for towels which is needed anyway (ridiculous) and when talking to staff in hotel they had no clue. With prices going up you expect the best when paying more money than ever before. Have stayed here 4 other times but this time it has put me off as can book a room anywhere. If the hotel has problems with leasure facilities it should report on website as I would not have gone. Such a shame for this hotel

The lodge it's self was lovely. Unfortunately we got there and was sent to the wrong check in from main reception who were clueless so we had to go back there and the bloke behind reception then asked for our name and went oh yeah you check in here. We gave them the registration number for the car and then the barrier wouldn't go up…. We ended up having to go through it as it was coming down. We eventually got into the lodge and put dinner in the oven to find midway through no oven gloves nor anything to dry up with or wash up with. With a 4 month old baby this is essential. I wouldn't of minded if we were told prior but guess what…. All we were told was it was booked and were to check in from (wrong place) also the time we could check in. Considering this was the last part of our wedding package we had spent ALOT of money on I'm so disappointed in kenwick park for terrible communication. My husband got in touch with kenwick the first night and said if the children hadn't of been in bed we would of been going home which they didn't seem bothered about in the slightest. The women on the phone did say she would make sure these would be sorted. Unsure of what my husband responded to this but didn't get anything. I spoke to the manager the following morning about how to put a formal complaint in as we had experienced poor communication around our wedding prior and after. He skirted around that and said housekeeping would make sure these things would be put in the lodge. They never…. We thought we'd take the children swimming so my husband checked when we could use the pool. My husband was told between 11-7pm, fab so we went at 5 ish only to be told we had to book in….. fortunately we could get in but then to be told because we were in the lodge we had to pay £1 each for a towel (no mention of any of this prior) The spa facilities are fantastic I will say that it really is lovely. We ended up having to boil the kettle also to run our children a bath as well. Honestly I definitely wouldn't rush back or recommend here sadly and as I work within travel this is very disappointing. I did respond to the manager and yet to hear back from him and I last heard from him Friday.

My husband & I took our 2 friends away for a two night break. I paid for dinner, bed & breakfast for 2 nights. I was a bit concerned to read the negative reviews. I am very pleased to say that we had a wonderful stay at this lovely hotel. From check in to check out I have nothing but praise for all members of staff.All were very friendly and very polite and helpful. The rooms (deluxe) were perfectly decorated and beds & bedding very comfortable. Plenty of tea, coffee etc. Towels were fresh,white and fluffy. The food was really good and a three course meal included in dinner rate. There was ample choice for everyone. I'm really glad I ignored the negative reviews. Thanks for a great stay and we will be back.

This hotel has most things, lovely location, spa, lovely golf course and offers reasonably comfortable accommodation and a decent restaurant. The service was slightly mixed, though this maybe because of current staff shortages. On the downside possibly, the bar is strangely located in the restaurant and there is not really a good place to sit and drink. Our bedroom was large, but in need of some attention. Breakfast was not too bad, very traditional but not much else. Having said this, we would probably stay there again.

Stayed at Kenwick Park Hotel for a night following a colleagues wedding. Lovely modern well equipped room at a reasonable rate with a very nice buffet style breakfast included. Would recommend this hotel for a short break away. Have previously stayed here for other weddings and functions and has always maintained a high standard of care towards guests.

My first experience of afternoon tea at this hotel. I shall not be returning. Despite having booked long in advance, my friends and I were not greeted upon arrival. After standing many minutes waiting for a member of staff to appear, it was necessary for us to set off in search of a waitress ourselves. Upon finally being led to our table, we were disappointed at the coldness, and lack of attention that had been paid to presentation. Basic in the extreme I appreciate that due to sanitising against Covid, tablecloths and cotton napkins may not be practicable, but it is perfectly possible to make any table layout appear welcoming if a little care is taken. The damaged, leaning cake-stand did not enhance the overall appearance. But, my main complaint regards the food that was served. It bore little resemblance to the advertised menu. At £15.95 per head one expects better than a quarter sandwich of tinned tuna & tinned sweet corn , cheap reformed ham, and plain egg mayo. The cakes were sparse and extremely small. Again, everything was poorly presented. Certainly no treat to the eyes! I ordered decaffeinated coffee but was served ordinary filter. My friends ordered tea for two and received a single one cup pot between them. At least that made us laugh. Upon paying, we were overcharged. All very underwhelming. Not a good experience and impossible to recommend. A complete waste of money. I would add that my friend did email the hotel laying out our disappointments. They have not had the courtesy to reply.

Visited Kenwick Park on 23/09/21 I with 2 friends for afternoon tea. After waiting 10 minutes to be acknowledged, we advised a waitress that we were there for afternoon tea, which had been booked weeks in advance. After being shown to our table and tea and coffee coming , we were left waiting another 10 minutes for our food to arrive. I have been to Kenwick a few times pre lockdown for afternoon tea and it has been brilliant. What a disappointment this time though!! I and my friends believe that you had not catered for us at all and that the food had been cobbled together!! The stand the tea was served in was damaged and leaning to one side!! Sandwiches comprised of Ham and tomato which was laced with salt, the ham was wafer thin reformed so layers had been put in the sandwich!! Egg mayo which was squishing out the sides and running down the bread Tuna and sweetcorn that was falling apart as the bread was wet with it Cheese and pickle. The pot of sponge cream stuff was presented very messily too. This is not how your website describes afternoon tea here. When we asked for a top up of tea 2 of us drinking tea we were presented with a metal pot holding enough for 1 cup!! All in all a very bad experience was had by us. I had a glass of Prosecco with my tea and was charged £21.90 when the website clearly states £19.95 I have emailed and messaged Kenwick and given them the chance to comment on these issues, before I left this review, but they have not replied, so obviously do not care about the presentation or quality of their food!! Will we go again, not until I am sure the situation has improved considerably.

I have mixed feelings about my stay here. The staff were lovely and it was very clean, my room was nice, clean and comfy. I stayed 2 nights on a spa break. Included in the spa break was afternoon tea, I've never had afternoon tea like it. It was shocking. They had assumed I wanted a lactose free afternoon tea due to me wanting soya milk! So when my afternoon tea arrived I was very disappointed. First of all the sandwich... half of it was cheese and tomato which was thrown together, the other half was leaves! They had literally put leaves out of a salad bag in dry bread! No butter. Butter doesn't have lactose in it so I don't why it was dry bread. I looked around and other people had mixed sandwiches arranged lovely but mine was thrown together on a broken wonky cake stand. They had covered the wonky cake stand in icing sugar so that's all I could taste. I basically had a leaf and icing sugar sandwich! Instead of a selection of cakes I got 3 small slices of different cheesecakes that were soggy. Now, if I had asked for a lactose free afternoon tea then why would they put cheesecake on it when that is full of lactose. I had a small red velvet cake which wasn't nice as was very doughy. I had a bowel of sorbet with blueberries which was nice but nobody else had this, the last thing was some unusual crisps which were OK but had no taste. Icing sugar was on everything so that's literally all I tasted on what they gave me. I asked for my glass of prosecco which wasn't nice at all so I left that. I asked the receptionist what is normally on the afternoon tea and she said I should of had sausage rolls, brownie, scones with jam and cream etc. I told her what I got and she couldn't apologise enough and boxed me up a sausage roll, brownie and scone. I think whoever made the food knows nothing about intolerances at all, why would you serve someone a leaf sandwich? I expected ham, egg or tuna! My massage and body scrub by Joanne was good and very relaxing. Breakfast was nice but the sausages tasted funny. My evening meal wasn't what I expected of such a hotel. I had read the menu online and was looking forward to the fish and chips but they had a problem in the kitchen and had to take it off the menu along with other items, the only thing j liked was gammon so opted for that. It looked nice when it arrived but very anemic, I noticed when cutting the gammon that it was very watery and it was extremely salty, I like salty food but this was to salty for me I only ate a quarter of my meal as the chips were hard too. I went back to my room for an early night but was up all night poorly which I can only assume was the gammon as it was definitely under cooked. When checking out I asked for a copy of my bill to find they had over charged me by £47.00 which they quickly refunded, so please check your bill before paying. I have stayed here previously and the food was lovely before so I'm really disappointed to have to put this review about the food.

Stayed overnight whilst attending a wedding. The ceremony and reception was absolutely fantastic - food was excellent and the staff were lovely. The accommodation was perfect, we stayed in the cottage which was lovely, the room was airy and had everything we needed. The only one negative was that the heating was on in the bathroom and we couldn't turn it off, and it was like a sauna - other than that it was all a brilliant stay. Usual check in is 4.00 pm but we needed the room earlier to get ready and they were very accommodating; we were able to enter the room at midday (well worth a quick phone call).

We thought we were in the hotel but was given a cottage room that was old and didn't smell that great as if shut up . not sure if we were put in it because a wedding was on . Think should of been told not hotel stay when booked spa break

Amazing stay in our Cabin. Everything you need , spotlessly clean , 2 bathrooms, including a bath in one. All towels and bedding including. I really didn't want to come home, also a lovely spa that was free . We also had treatments , very reasonable.

stayed overnight with my daughter and her family, impressed with service and staff all friendly, and helpful, good value for money, the food, and service was extremely good, the swimming pool was lovely, I would recommend hotel to anyone, definitely stay again. On the minus my only disappointment was my room was quite old fashioned, my daughters was modern and much better, I felt the windows could of been cleaner , marks on quite a few in hotel and pool area, I was disappointed that at the time of booking the pool I wasnt informed that children must leave the pool at 7.30pm , I had booked at 7pm which didn't leave much time for my grandchildren to enjoy the pool .

Stayed in a family room where whenever someone flushed a toilet or turned a tap it was followed by 10 min of water hammer throughout the night. Also sounded like the people in the rooms above were going to come through the ceiling.

I must admit, after reading everybody's reviews prior to our visit I was very nervous as to what we would find. We had booked 2rooms on a 2 night Spa weekend for a present for my sisters 40th birthday. Knowing this I was constantly in touch with the hotel prior to arrival asking lots of questions and tried to request rooms in the newer built section of the hotel. I do think had I not have done so we wouldn't have found anything out at all I do think their downfall is communication…. Or lack of. I was pleasantly surprised with everything. Check in was easy, although not much info given unless I asked. Our rooms were huge, clean and new which was a lovely surprise. Food was lovely…and have never been so full. Spa day was the best day we've had in a long time. There is a restriction on pool time but we found it very quiet and stayed in a bit longer. The gentleman who works in the spa was very attentive and when bringing out our afternoon tea was always offering to fill up everyone's Prosecco glasses at no extra cost. These things I think make it more special, The hotel was very busy with weddings on both nights and yes the evening staff were stretched trying to cater for everybody but on a whole I would happily say I would love to go back.

What a disappointment, now I have been here before and absolutely loved it first of all . Wanted a spa break after all the ups and downs of covid so eventually booked a couple of nights at this hotel with relaxation and recovery in mind . I expected some changes because of covid protocols like towels and masks and extra sanitising but nowhere on the website does it mention that you can only book a slot for the spa facilities for one hour , that is swim , jacuzzi, sauna ice room ..the lot all in an hour,I was advised to have hydrotherapy so thought perfect but this facility isn't allowed at the moment. If this is how it has to be then fair enough but make it clear in your advertising that is all that is on offer , I only found out a day before we were due to arrive, we might as well go to the local pool and save £200

If I could get zero stars for Kenwick Park in Louth then I would. This hotel does not understand customer service at all. The reception staff were lovely but the Bar staff are horrendous. We were going to stay at Kenwick for 3 nights, we ended up staying about ten minutes! We were told we couldn't eat there, despite being hotel residents, so after a long drive, arriving tired and hungry we were told "we're fully booked for food" but the best of it is that the pub and the restaurant area were completely empty!! We even suggested eating outside but we were met with "nah we don't do that", oh you mean you don't do 'customer service'! In 30 years of travelling and staying in some pretty bad hotels this one wins the prize for worst customer service. Do not stay here, instead stay at The Brackenborough Arms hotel which is literally just down the road, they are AMAZING. The staff quickly made up their last room for us and found us a table despite being "fully booked", they honestly could not do enough for us. We will never step foot in the Kenwick Park again, I completely agree with what we had heard locally which is "a really old fashioned hotel with old fashioned views who don't care about the customer, they only care about the money" so true.

Just spent 2 nights here with my family of 5.. Unfortunately we were given one deluxe room and one standard which caused upset for the family as the rooms were completely different. The deluxe room was on the whole really nice and well decorated with good facilities. The standard room was pretty awful and like something out of the 70s. It had awful decor and smelt mouldy. I asked to swap the room but the reception staff wouldn't allow it. The hotel itself was clean but not very covid friendly at all so it does make me wonder why they won't let you check in until 4 and then check out at 10 for supposed extra cleaning which I'm sure wasn't being done. It makes your stay not such good value. Also you can only use the spa/swimming facilities for only an hour a day and this has to be pre booked. It can't be used on the day you check out so very disappointed with the actual amount of time you can use it. They also don't provide towels for the swimming pool so you are expected to take the ones from the room which may already be wet or become wet and have to be used later! reception staff in the hotel need training in customer service as they weren't at all welcoming and gave no information about swimming times or breakfast. Both of which need to be booked. Not one word was said to me at check out. Would have been nice if they had said did we have a nice stay and was everything ok but seems like they don't really care about that. Also would be nice if there was an information pack in the room and also before your stay they would send information about your stay and certainly about having to book everything in advance. I feel like the level of customer service lacks and they are only doing the basics and thinking that is ok. I felt disappointed because we have all worked really hard through the pandemic and this was a well deserved break away which didn't live up to expectations.I certainly won't be in a rush to go back when there are so many other choices.

The hotel has lovely grounds but the interior is dated. Despie being led to believe food would be available when we asked for a bar meal at 6pm we were told they were not serving unless we had booked the restaurant. We has travelled 6.5 hours to get there and then not to be able to get a sandwich or anything was shocking. When my guest arrived the next day at 11am he asked for a sandwich and was told this was not possible till 12pm. Ashtrays outside were not cleaned and the staff were pretty unhelpful and in some cases indifferent. Will not go back.

Stayed at Best Western Kenwick Park for 3 nights with grandchild in a family room on a secret escapes deal. Room was excellent. Staff friendly especially restaurant staff. Food really good. Excellent facilities. Best Western rarely disappoints.

Thought we were booking a a standard room but allocated the annex it smelt was extremely cold no heating at all the room was sub standard at any price retired early to keep warm travel lodge better by far the only good thing was the breakfast would I book again no way and the shower over a bath with no warning about scolding hot water positively dangerous the front of the hotel looks wonderful our room at the annex over looked rubbish very poor for the over £100 we sent for one night beware all who stay here

Overall our trip was great. Buffet breakfast offered good choice, evening meal was tasty and facilities are excellent. Only thing I would do is update the rooms to a simpler, fresher, more modern layout. Rooms (or at least the one we were in) was tired and in desperate need of modernising.

The golf and spa break was fantastic, all the staff were friendly and helpful. Particular shout out to Claire in Housekeeping. Food in all venues was to a very high standard and the prices all reasonable. Would highly recommend

Stayed with my family from 13th August for the weekend to celebrate our Golden Wedding. The 4 rooms and 1 Lodge were very comfortable clean and spacious. The breakfasts and evening meals were plentiful and most enjoyable. All the staff were very helpfull and professional. A big thank you to Simon the Restraunt Manager. Excellent weekend was had by all and look forward to visiting again.

I write this review reluctantly as I hate complaining but this has to be one of the worst experiences I've had at a hotel! We arrived for a rare girly spa break which we booked to cheer ourselves up after a horrendous previous year. On arrival we were told we were meant to be swimming at 11? It was now 12! We explained we had been trying to get through to tge spa for weeks prior as we had had no correspondence for our itinerary for trip We were then told with our heavy bags we weren't able to check in til 4pm hence again we said we had had no email or correspondence from either hotel or spa! We went over to spa which then started a downward spiral of events. We were taken to our seats and told afternoon tea and drinks would follow An hour or so later still nothing! We eventually had a lovely young girl come along with a free glass of prosecco. It did appear other people were annoyed at lack of organisation and there was no robes. Spa treatment was lovely but we were unaware there would be children in pool and sauna area. They had giant balls and inflatables it was more like butlins than a lazy Sunday Spa! We then were taken to our room which was not again explained that we weren't actually staying in the hotel but a run down cottage like something out the 80s! Wallpaper hanging off wall, fusty and dark! We were booked in for dinner at 8.30 pm so went down to be greeted by a very stressed rude woman who told us someone would be over to take our drinks shortly. We waited over 25 mins until my friend suggested we go to the bar ourselves! We then continued to be ignored while they served a larger party next to us, the manager eventually came to take our order and apologised. When we finally got our food at 930pm we were presented with defrosted watery prawns with hardly any sauce and the main meal was inedible! I just wish I had read the reviews before booking as it seems this place has been gradually going downhill! I for one would not waste my money and return unless it drastically has an overhaul. Staff need lessons in organisation and customer service and the decor needs updating in some of the rooms! I appreciate we have been in a pandemic but to me this is no excuse. Sort it out Kenwick park your going to lose valuable customers!

The location is gorgeous, golf course and great spa within the grounds. Lots of parking in front of the hotel. Hotel staff were friendly and pleasant. Our room was a bit old looking. Carpet didn't look clean and there was mould on the bathroom ceiling. I found hair in the bathtub. The bathroom was roomy but outdated. The room had a nasty odour even with the windows opened, it smelled bad. Our room overlooked the golf course but unfortunately we were directly above the restaurant/bar so it was a nuisance. The noise downstairs was disruptive and it was very late so couldn't get to sleep. Breakfast was ok but with the pandemic, social distancing wasn't in place. It was buffet style so people served themselves. Many guests weren't wearing masks when getting their food. People using the same serving utensils was off putting. I couldn't eat much because it was just so unhygienic. Signs everywhere to wear masks but wasn't enforced.

Had a great spa break at Kenwick Park. The grounds are magnificent and the hotel itself is clean and well ordered. Afternoon tea at the Spa was excellent and the massage and facial were professionally carried out. Dinner in the hotel was a bit frenetic as the staff seemed to be a bit rushed but however coped. The food and beverages manager was of particular note as he seemed to be everywhere at once and was very efficient. The room in the new part of the hotel was fine, usual hotel standard. Remote for the TV was missing but couldn't be bothered to report it till next morning. A towel from a previous guest was still hanging up in the bathroom, an oversight no doubt. No instructions on the air conditioning but worked it out and it was great. Breakfast in the morning was excellent. Just the job for a good start to the day in the lovely Lincolnshire Wolds….

Hotel is nice, just like any large hotel needs some major renovations/upgrades. Spa/gym/pool is new and great. Hit and miss with friendliness of staff but I guess that's normal for a large hotel. Breakfast was bad, mainly the food but also organisation, we were seated in the bar area which wasn't nice. Top tip: complain about your room and you'll get a new one twice as big! Also takeaways deliver to the restaurant :)

Stayed here numerous times when we come away for the races. Was suppose to be staying on friday for the races but booked elsewere due to poor experience a week or so ago! Receptionist was so rude and unprofessional. Booked meal on return back, were do i start food use to be so good here, gone downhill rapidly over priced, ive had better meals at Wetherspoons! So uninspiring. Staff look lacklustre and miserable. Big changes need to be made. Wont return until i see things happening positively

We have stayed at Kenwick hotel a few times even though we live locally. It is really good value for money and in a lovely setting. The bar and waiting on staff are brilliant and very professional and helpful. Unfortunately I have always found the reception staff to be a bit unfriendly both on the front desk and on the phone, my impression is that they probably need to find a job elsewhere or are unhappy for some reason. The food is always good and reasonably priced. The room we stayed in was deluxe and was really spacious and amazing. Now for the Spa experience. What a change! When I have been before the staff on the reception seem very jaded and unenthusiastic. This time we had 1 gentleman who was running the show and what a difference! Very attentive and made sure we really enjoyed the whole experience. We were assigned to one table due to covid restrictions. The afternoon tea was lovely with lots of free prosecco and complimentary coffee. We had a really good massage from a very professional therapist. Full use of the facilities with an booked hour pool slot but we were permitted to stay a bit longer. All in all a vastly improved Spa experience, please keep the gentleman I am only sorry I didn't ask his name!

We never review on the whole, but our overnight stay at this hotel was SO DIRE we couldn't forgive ourselves if someone else paid their hard earned cash for such diabolical service. Our room was a deluxe, but had the worst outlook and when phoning reception (who only answered after several attempts) we were told that because of the wedding there, we couldn't have any other available rooms. The plug in the sink of the ensuite was stuck and no-one came to fix it. The meal that we'd booked was awful, (greasy, cheap cut of meat that was overpriced) served on tiny dinner plates and the dessert was served in a wine glass!! They'd obviously ran out of appropriate serving dishes. It was a total rip off. At breakfast this morning we sat waiting for 15 mins before I asked for a cup of tea by a passing waitress who hadn't even noticed us. Half of the breakfast ingredients were missing and we weren't even offered a coffee! Just abysmal. Avoid at all costs- especially when there's a function on at the same time. On checking out the member of staff didn't ask the complementary 'how was your stay?' which suggests she didn't give a monkeys. Overall, this hotel was staffed by people who needed to step up. Atrocious. We couldn't wait to get home!!

Really not good enough! Unless you want a bathroom from the 80's! The only positives were the choice of the breakfast the clean bed, and a large room. Then the negatives start…. We were in a cottage they call it, but it's a rundown building right next to the delivery area. So every morning we were woken up at 6.45-7 by deliveries, apart from one morning where we were woken up by a ride on lawn mower at 6.20am! We complained and were told it's nothing to do with the hotel, it's the golf department, although they were cutting the lawn right in front of the hotel, and not near the golf course. The toilet then broke, which was fixed on the same day thankfully, although I must add the bathroom was vile! See the pics, alongside black mould in the bedroom, and wallpaper coming away from the walls. The receptionist wasn't remotely hospitable, approachable or nice, not even an apology for the pathetic bathroom, the lawnmower noise or the delivery noise when we complained and asked to be moved! On checking in we weren't told anything about the hotel the facilities or the room or timings, only about checking out being at 10am. Will never return and won't say a good word about the place either!

I travel alot on business so stay in many hotels. I therefore truly appreciate good service, welcoming and comfortable hotel environment, quality of food served and value for money. I know how hard its been during the Covid Pandemic for the Hospitality sector but I am now getting very tried as this is being used as an excuse for Hotels with generally poor standards. I judge food proved in Hotels on whether it.makes me smile inside when served and offers value for money. All too frequently very well written menus are not being lived up to when it comes to the actual food provided. Sadly I feel BW Hotel Kenwick Park falls into this category. The food served me was uninspiring and over priced for the quality of fare provided. My challenge to you if you truly value your business and customers is to ask yourself if the standards are good enough and then better them.

My partner booked this for a overnight getaway. The room was great, food was okay in the restaurant, the spa was great as well. However didn't have gluten free food for the afternoon tea even when my partner specified beforehand. The only other thing that let it down was the Receptionist was rude and had an attitude problem from the moment we walked in.

We have stayed here before & had no complaints. This time, felt reception staff could have provided more information to guests, checking in at the ridiculously late time of 4pm. At no time were we told that our rooms would not be entered into again until after we left! Consequently, on returning to our room the next day at 3pm, we found one set of towels, some milk & tea bags, biscuits left outside our room. We had not been told of the lack of service, if we had known, we would have left our 2sets of towels, bin etc outside the door after breakfast. Also, when I booked in, I arranged an hour slot for swimming, no information forthcoming about the towel situation. So when we got to the pool, we're told that we needed to bring towels from the hotel. My husband trudged back, & requested towels from reception, as ours were still wet from morning showers! The food in the hotel was not up to standard, we were booked in for dinner bed & breakfast for the 2 nights. Our room 212 was fully equipped with, air conditioning, fridge & safe & was very clean. Although, not the hotels fault, we were concerned about the number of people walking around the public areas, without masks & the same people not using the tongs provided for the bread & croissants at breakfast. Check out at 10 was chaotic, with queues going back to the stairs. Please, management of this hotel, sort out the checking in & out times, stop blaming COVID for everything, & give more information to your guests.

Recently stayed here for a short break , hotel was lovely , staff really friendly , good facilities, set in lovely grounds, great if your a golfer as the course is on the door step . great location for exploring the east coastal towns . would stay again .

Firstly the hotel was in a great position for us to visit Lincolnshire, our room was furthest from reception but very good as in newest part of hotel. The staff were friendly. The restaurant was poor, a very limited menu and poorly cooked food. We stayed for 6 nights and after first night did not eat there again. Louth has some great restaurants Not sure how thoroughly the place is cleaned, but on the main staircase, the large window sill had a collection of dead insects and a crushed single use milk container. This sat there the whole week and when you consider how many staff have passed it, what else is ignored. COVID rules had some detrimental affect on our stay, but that is not the fault of the hotel. The leisure area is great, and the peaceful setting is great, we just felt the restaurant was a great let down, there is also not really a decent relaxing area for a bar. As we were never back from our days out til late it did not bother us to much, but if you were a golfing group, not that great.

I have stayed here several times now but this occasion was a friend's hen party. We had a spa stay with lots included in the price - 55 min treatment, afternoon tea, 3 course meal, breakfast and overnight stay. The whole weekend was relaxing and perfect!

Stayed three nights in a deluxe room which was very clean and reasonably spacious - but if your given room 118 take a torch! (its very dark even on a sunny day). Restaurant evening menu is very limited (even for Covid times) and not very imaginative but tasted ok. Breakfast was very nice each day and Phylis and the team in the dining room make you feel very welcome.

So after Covid moved a hen do, we booked to stay at kenwick lodges (BRILLIANT BY THE WAY) The mother of the bride pre called and booked us a table for ten. We arrived. The table was not reserved. We were plonked in a corner - fine because we just wanted a nice quiet meal together. We sat - WHAT DO YOU WANT TO EAT. Wow we've been here 3 seconds. Can we have a drink and a menu?! They huffed. A couple of lime/sodas were ordered as a side drink plus a bottle of wine and gins. The lime was practically a solid lump in the bottom of the glass so a straw to stir was requested. Well we might as well have asked for a bone from Christ. The look we were given! Luckily a few in the group ordered more than one drink because we were never asked again if we would like anything. So we ordered our mains. All was nice - thank you, we do appreciate that. However, the puddings were something else. A few “lemon Eton mess” which were a wine glass full of lemon custard, fake cream and two tiny meringues were not worth their £7 even remotely. We sent back two chocolate “wotnots” as they literally were gosh knows wotnot. They were added to the bill though. Very disappointed in the whole restaurant experience, but it has given us many hilarious memories to reminisce. Shame it cos us over £300 for that meal to have a laugh about.

A Spa Break voucher was given to me as a gift by my son in March 2020. Unable to redeem this due to lockdown, restrictions were lifted slightly between July and September. I was unaware there was only a 6 month window to use it. Being an NHS worker, and working throughout the pandemic, having a Spa Day during that small window of opportunity was not even a fleeting thought. I started phoning Evergreen Spa 6weeks ago as I am unable to work and on a rehabilitation programme due to suffering a heart attack in April. I was hoping to use my voucher and enjoy my Spa day which would have been a real boost! I phoned the Spa numerous times over this 6 week period leaving my details but never received a call back, I phoned the hotel and leisure facility as my frustration was mounting! I eventually rang ‘sales' and not surprisingly they answered…I explained my situation and was promptly told that ‘the directors' had made the decision not to honour vouchers after October 2020. I asked to speak to the manager, he did call me back and informed me that the decision was made and I would not be able to redeem. Shame on you Kenwick Park!

Heads up for guests so you don't get deceived like us. If you read any other bad reviews, it's likely because we got the same awful room. Cons: I was expecting a newly refurbished standard room in the hotel itself, with all the amenities included as noted on Expedia but was very disappointed that they gave us a dated room (Room 403) in an annex to the hotel. Although the room was big, it was very old furniture, with noisy plumbing if you use the hot water. We only realised that this is not the advertised standard room but must have been where they put overbooked guests and hope they don't know. We didn't ask them to move us to another room as it was late, pouring with rain and had already unpacked. What also put us off was their current practice of leaving spare towels and coffee refreshments outside our room on the floor (as we did not need housekeeping since returning late at night from a wedding) does not really feel like they are taking COVID precautions seriously as anyone walking in the corridor (although just 2 other rooms) could cough on it and spread the virus. We also did not have a good sleep as the upstairs floorboards were really thin and we could hear every step and chat from upstairs. They should have advertise the room we have as a different room rather than "Standard room" as we were mis-sold this. It explains why their webiste has very little pictures of the rooms so they can get away with this. I would not pay the same price for this room as I would for one in the hotel which i can see from reviews is very nice. I have complained to Expedia for a partial refund but if no response will escalate to the Hotel management. Pros: - There is ample parking within walking distance if the front of hotel is full. - Breakfast was decent though don't expect too much (it'll have your standard cereal/yoghurts and a hot English breakfast with tea/coffee) - the Spa/pool was the only good experience there and worth a visit. You need to pre-book but when i arrived they didn't even check my name so I just signed in

Stayed here for a night with my partner. Fantastic room, great food and the staff were outstanding. Would highly recommend! Definitely worth the money!! Even with measures in place due to the current situation the staff ensured that our stay was enjoyable. Food / drinks were all table service and the service was fantastic. All staff friendly and efficient. Fast service and nothing too much trouble. Hotel was beautiful and clean and very well presented. Would certainly use again.

We had a brilliant two night spa stay here. We were very well looked, all our needs were accommodated and the staff were friendly and professional. We paid £210 each for 2 nights, 2 dinners, 2 breakfasts, afternoon tea, 2 treatments, and access to spa facilities.

Although it is listed as dog friendly there was not really anywhere really close by to walk him. He was at not allowed with us for a drink in the bar. So my partner and I had to sit outside in the rain with no heating or even an umbrella to save us. Which many so called “Dog friendly” hotels on Booking.com do not say on their listings Good for golf poor for dogs. Shame

A very enjoyable two night golf break.the hotel rooms are very comfortable with great views of the gardens and golf course. Our deal included breakfast and dinner,food and service at both were very good.covid restrictions are very well organised. But the main event of our stay was the golf,we were not disappointed,the course is in great condition and a credit to the ground staff.It is a very challenging course but so enjoyable.As a bonus we were blessed with beautiful weather. The staff at Kenwick ,both the hotel and golf course are very friendly and helpful a credit to the Best Western brand. All in all a great break even allowing for many lost balls. Thankyou Kenwick

Fabulous spabreak from start to finish fantastic staff,extremely clean and professional loved it all had a afternoon tea and hot stone massage it was amazing also our evening meal was so delicious and staff so friendly,our room was beautiful and the bed so comfy we will be back thanks so much

It was a mixed experience. Paid £119 which included room for 1 night, breakfast and use of spa (pre booked timeslots) *Pros* -Room: Had recently been refurbished. Iron, hairdryer, big comfy bed, TV, powerful large shower, coffee and tea making facilities, decent aircon -Staff Found the restaurant staff and cleaning staff to be very helpful -Parking Plenty of spaces and free -Location *Cons* -Spa No towels or robes provided Few of the bits shut down and weren't warned of this on booking -Lack of Information No welcome pack in the rooms, didn't know about WiFi password, didn't know about restaurant / bar times, if it had room service. The information wasn't offered either so had to ask. I don't recall ever going to a hotel which didn't have some sort of information pack in the room. -Phone reception Neither of us could get 1G let alone 4G in the room. I know it's not the hotel's fault but it's worth me noting for other potential guests. -Front of house staff Such a mixed bag, I found the man in the white shirt incredibly helpful but other than that I found the front of staff slow and highly impersonal. It wasn't remotely busy but multiple times I was waiting around at reception desk with not a soul in sight and on check out when there was a queue some 'golf regulars' got ushered to the front which was a slap in the face to those of us that had been patiently queuing. Nothing was so bad that it put me off returning but nothing was so good that i would look forward to returning.. Travelodge experience at a slightly higher price.

Staff have zero customer service skills. Arrived at 3pm yesterday didn't realise check in was 4pm (on email, it said 3pm…) which the ‘teenager' on reception made me feel like an inconvenience about. We were fine with that so wondered if we could grab some food & a drink after a long drive nearby ‘Did you say you wanted food when you booked? If you didn't then no but you can try and see if the restaurant will sort something out for you' WHY THE …… would I pre order a basic sandwich & some crisps a month in advance just incase i turned up a bit earlier than planned???? After feeling like I'd inconvenienced the girl on reception, probably prevented her from playing candy crush for 5 minutes, there was also a hen do that she upset after giving them zero information on where they were staying and trying to overcharge them for a spa visit. Room was in an annex at the side of the hotel. Lovely spacious room, very hot considering the weather, no fan or air conditioning. All was well, heat considering until ANYONE and I mean anyone put their taps on. This room is next to the boiler room and I'm not kidding, it's like a planes taking off. The room started creaking, pipes moaning and the wall banging like an old washing machine. Fantastic when golfers are getting in at 2am and whacking the taps on. Bed wasn't comfortable. We had zero sleep but here comes issue 3… Finally managed to nod off in the sweltering heat and we hear laughing, shouting and the clattering of ladders. I look out the window to see 2 staff members stood chatting loudly whilst helping some young guy climb the ladder through his bedroom window above our room. YOU COULDNT MAKE IT UP! After 5 mins of them faffing about with the ladder, already in a vile mood, I went to the window and was just stared at as if this was normal… We didn't make it to breakfast as we just simply couldn't be bothered with the place by the morning. Once we got to reception we weren't even asked how our stay was. Would have loved the chance to tell you but trip advisor and booking are the next best thing. Check in 4pm and check out 10am, doesn't give you much time if it's an overnighter. That being said we're glad it was only 1 night. This is the only place we've stayed and considered packing our bags in the middle of the night & driving home.

I booked 3 spas days for my friends 30th birthday in February 2020. Unfortunatly the country was then hit with the pandemic. I contacted Kenwick Park in July 2020 asking what was happening due to COVID and they didn't respond. So I rang them and when I spoke to a lady I asked for a refund to which she said they are none refundable (this is not mentioned when purchasing the vouchers!) she said they would remove the valid date so we could go after the pandemic ended and we knew more of what was happening. When contacting the spa again in June 2021 I was told my vouchers were none valid to which I referred back to my conversation last year. I was then asked to contact the manager which I did providing proof of contact in July. His response was they extended my vouchers until then end of 2020 bearing in mind I was not told there was a valid date and the country went back into lockdown in November. He then said they will not honour our vouchers! I am so astonished that they have took our £237 and just dismissed us. Disgusting service will never go to this spa and will also tell my family and friends the same thing!

Booked for spa and golf break for 2 couples . The ladies had spa treatments and the men played 2 rounds of golf. We had 2 lovely rooms with amazingly bathrooms. We had DBB. The dinner selection was very good and well presented. All the staff we met were friendly and professional. (We could not fault any of the staff they all did a good job with Covid restrictions) The golf course was challenging and in excellent condition. The pro was very helpful with arranging suitable tee times. The spa had a lovely pool but had some items closed due to COVID restrictions but still a very good experience was had. Will definitely be visiting here again in the future.

Beautiful hotel room, spa experience really nice, staff friendly. There was a little wait for breakfast, but not a problem, and mainly due to social distancing etc. I have already booked to go back. Totally recommend

Had a lovely night stay here, the team were clearly new, and where getting trained but what would any reasonable person think after months of lockdown of course there will be teething problems. I know there were some very narrow minded guests which have clearly made thier points of view on here. Although there was a wait at times every drink, piece of food and interaction with a team member was lovely, and how nice it is just to be out. Every restaurant, pub and hotel are working with new processes, new team and are all short staffed due to every business needing to take on more people. Please be kind and patient when your out, and keep your unreasonable expectations to yourselves, just be glad you are out. Special mention to Beth she was lovely.

My friends and I booked a lazy Sunday spa overnight stay. After a little difficulty in getting in touch with the right department to book our treatments, we couldn't have had a better stay, The manager at the spa was absolutely fantastic and couldn't do enough to make up for the initial hiccups. The massage I had with Samantha was first class and the facilities was very relaxing. The hotel rooms where very comfortable and the food was excellent. All of the Staff where very pleasant and helpful. Big shout out to Phill the spa manager from the menopausal Grimsby girls.xx

Please read to the end ! Me and my partner been to the hotel for the weekend having reasonable expectations thinking of the price we paid. The spa facilities were great, staff friendly and interested in guests well-being. On the other hand the hotel experience was nothing like the spa!! Rooms are very outdated, felt like sleeping in my great grandmother house, mattresses very hard, in the room we stayed even the bedside lamps were two different colours and to me proves lack of professionalism and interest. The bathroom fan very loud and the shower pressure very very low. The hotel restaurant was the reason that made me write the review !! The staff absolutely outrageous!! After about 40 minutes of just waiting We asked for a menu of drinks, the answer of the staff being “we have some passion fruit martini left and that's available at the moment” I considered the answer inappropriate as I didn't paid all this money for a weekend away to be offered scrubs. The evening went on and our hopes was that the food will save the night. The steak was expensive and very very porly cooked, extremely dry and tasteless ( I guess has been cooked couple hours before and warmed up again when we ordered), I asked 3 different members of staff for some ketchup as my burger was also very dry and nobody paid any attention. The staff is very unprofessional and dirty!! This boy especially catch my eye when he serve our drinks and I could see his dirty hands!! No waiter should have dirt under fingernails, hanging around untied long hair, and under no circumstances I have to stare at his hairy legs just cause he couldn't care to dress properly. The staff untrained and it looked like they had no idea what they're doing, going back and forth, swapping orders, while we sat at our table the staff looked just like a bunch of headless chickens. In the morning we decided to come for breakfast with a open heart and mind hoping for a nicer experience. While we was waiting for our breakfast, people from another 2 tables stand up and left just because of how poor the service were, sustaining they were waiting already for over an hour and got no more patience to wait! The hotel is short staffed but also the staff they do have have no experience or decent common sense. Some of the staff was wearing see trough yoga pants!! I asked for a coffee, the waiter showed up with 2 kettles, she poured in my cup tea but after a quarter of the cup realised she mixed the drinks and swapped quick to coffee like nothing happened! So I had coffee and tea in the same cup! None but absolutely none of the staff cleaned or wiped any of the tables after someone left, casually just took the dirty cups and plates and that's it next people will sit. How is this following the government guidelines?!? At the checkout another unpleasant surprise, over 13 people waiting in the reception, without any possibility of self distancing cause of the small space, waiting for the lady behind the desk sort out a issue with a unhappy client. Spa ? Fabulous will definitely recommend! Hotel? Overpriced for the room facilities Restaurant? Absolutely never ever again ! Don't waste your money

Food offering was up and running as efficiently as it always was pre covid, my smoked haddock dinner was really tasty, and the service from the team both new and old was great. Breakfast was equally good, and really set me up for the day.

We spent a second three-day visit to Kenwick Park last September between Lockdowns and had another very enjoyable stay. We took advantage of a 'Three for Two' night offer and it was excellent value. Our first trip was at the beginning of August to celebrate our 49th Wedding Anniversary when we had our Labrador with us. This time Bentley was not with us. We were given the Honeymoon Suite which was very spacious with four poster bed, large brown leather sofa, two chairs and a table and overlooked the large green. The bathroom had a large walk-in shower and windows overlooking the green and beyond; there were two sinks but it lacked a magnifying mirror - always handy to have and saves packing one. The one drawback for us staying in this room was that it was directly above the chairs and tables on the patio outside the bar and dining room and there was a large group of male Golfers staying at the same time. They used to sit outside drinking and chatting loudly and certainly not socially distanced. To offset this we had to stay up until well past midnight watching TV. It was also very warm while we were there but opening a window would have made it worse. Previously when we stayed here with our dog we had a room also very near to the patio but at that time there were only mainly couples and we didn't experience much noise. The only way this could be addessed would be to move the seating but then it would be nowhere near to the bar - or to pray for a Downpour to keep them in. We really enjoyed the swimming pool and the staff in there were very pleasant and helpful. There wasn't much space for putting clothing towels, etc., in the lockers and the showers were only meant for a quick immersion. There was also a large puddle on the floor by these which was there the first time we went, obviously due to the uneven flooring but it could have been mopped up regularly. This time there was a family with three very unruly youngsters who kept jumping in and swimming near to the roped off lane. The staff tried their best to tell the dad but he didn't do much to stop them while the mother sat at the side on her phone all the time. I think children are only allowed as certain times but it was when we wished to swim, and we occasionally had a morning and evening swim, and this had to be pre-booked. The outdoor therapy pool was excellent, with a restriction in numbers. We felt very comfortable with the restrictions in place due to the wretched Covid situation. Tables were well spaced out and staff were efficient and friendly. Breakfast was served from a hot buffet served by staff. We will definitely return again as we like the beaches in the surrounding area, and particularly Louth for the market and shopping. Next time we will try and request a room away from the patio and bar.

Beautiful house and gardens. The swimming pool is fabulous with a jacuzzi and outdoor therapy pool. It was really quiet with soothing chill-out music playing. The beds were soft and comfortable. Slept like a log as it was so quiet. I went with my 6 month old puppy who absolutely loved the experience too. The supper and breakfast that i picked up from the Golf Restaurant was delicious. We will definitely come again soon.

Our wedding was booked here for august 2020 obviously due ,to the pandemic we had to postpone and we managed to schedule for august 2021 .as some restrictions are still ,in place .we contacted them to say we would ,rather play safe and reschedule for 2022. After contacting it was arranged by the wedding coordinator they would ring me to arrange new dates etc .never received any telephone call whatsoever !!! Very sloppy service from this hotel , people have paid deposits securing rooms and lodes etc ,which is why I requested a call back ,to discuss all of this and potentially arrange a new wedding date ! It's meant a lot of family members and our photographer have been messed about with all this .and now we are having to look for a new venue as trying to get hold of someone here is a nightmare. Poor service all round would not recommend

A 1 nighter needed, as we were moving a family to a nearby village, which couldn't be completed in 1 day, and had to be big enough to allow us to park our lorry. Staff very accommodating and attentive, good internal communication (the person who called back to confirm the booking was aware of the parking requirements), room a good size and very comfortable in all respects. Everything was closed, but we knew that, great arrangement with the golf club to provide very tasty evening meal.

My visit was during the second UK wide COVID lockdown so hotel facilities were very limited. Dinner was takeaway which had to be ordered by phone from the golf clubhouse along the driveway and collected personally. Breakfast in a bag but not the most healthy items in the bag - no fruit or similar. As a Rewards member I was lucky to get a room upgrade. Room 216 is very nice and modern with very comfy bed, a/c and a well designed bathroom. A great improvement on the dated room I had at my last visit here. The only problem for me was the shower was not hot enough.

We were fortunate to have a large room in the original building (just above the breakfast room) with views in two directions across the golf course. The room itself was therefore a pleasant place to be during the daytime. The accommodation was very spacious and we had everything we needed. Because of the COVID situation there was no housekeeping but we were well provided for with towels etc. and this was therefore not a problem. We very much enjoyed our meals - both breakfast and dinner - in the dining room and must compliment all staff on how they managed in what must have been trying conditions. Indeed staff were always friendly and helpful. The food we ate was very good and the evening menu varied. In sum, a very pleasant stay and we hope to return.

We returned to this hotel after many previous stays. The hotel is set in lovely grounds and the rooms are lovely. Very clean & comfortable beds. The hotel were complying with the Covid challenges and always felt safe during the stay. The waitress service was very good. Am looking forward to returning again.

After a fairly good meal it got worse from there on. After retiring to bed by 10pm there were 6 guests partying in the room next door , very noisy. At 2.30 am it turned into a full on fight in the room and corridor, ending up with the police being called. All that the hotel are prepared to offer is a 15% discount off a further stay.

Good price as was on offer 3 nights for price of 2 especially as half term week.Hotel and spa are lovely.Very covid 19 aware.Evening meals not much choice and even worse expensive kids meals.We ended up only having the first night meal there.Then found other places to eat evening meals with better quality and choice and value.Breakfast food was good.Service very very poor.Every day breakfast experience went down hill.Last day breakfast was awful.If weren't driving home so far away would of walked out and not had breakfast.Took 10 minutes to get drinks once seated.Then took even longer for food to come.Ordered toast had to wait 40 minutes to arrive.And 20 minutes for more hot drinks.Need to sort out breakfast service.Lets down the whole experience.Will not stay again.Shame.

Reception staff useless. Require further training. Terrible coffee at breakfast. Evening meal poor. Room lovely. Beds very comfortable. No fridge. Hotel cosy, clean and warm through out. I would stay again. Enjoyed using the swimming pool. Would go out and eat in Louth, as the food was awful.

Fantastic stay for 2 nights at Best Western Kenwick hotel in Louth, breakfast and evening meals are excellent, very clean, COVID-19 secure. But a very big thank you to Philis, Chole, & Amy who made our stay even more special with their excellent service through out our stay they never stopped there exceptionally waiter service absolutely outstanding. We booked a spa break at Kenwick Park for my Sister's 40th and it didn't dissapoint! It was booked at a fab price and included, afternoon tea, a spa treatment, 3 course meal, swim and overnight stay in a comfy room. The service we recieved was excellent. We would definitely return.

My husband and I got married here in October 2019, the wedding package included so many added extras including a lodge stay for 8 which I did with my bridesmaid the night before the wedding - absolutely beautiful in every way, a DJ, canapés for no added extra, hotel rooms for bride & groom and both sets of parents on the night - the list goes on. It also included a stay with dinner and breakfast on our 1 year anniversary, we thought due to COVID that this wouldn't be possible, but luckily it was. Not only did we have the best wedding day imaginable but we also had the best 1st anniversary, the staff couldn't do enough for us, food & drink was amazing, bed was comfy even had Netflix in our room. We had to wear masks and social distancing measures were put in place but it was all well thought out and hardly affected our stay whatsoever. Kenwick park will always have a special place in our hearts and we plan to return every year. Anyone that's thinking of booking a wedding here in the future please go for it, it will be the best decision you ever make.

Disappointed to stay at this hotel again and not be told restaurant was busy when we checked in and then turned away at dinner time spoiling our weekend here. Poor service and no solution offered, very poor.

A second five day visit in October 2020 with my elderly and partially sighted Mum, following a similar length stay in July 2020 just as C19 restrictions were lifted. On this second visit we think there have been many improvements in the hotel housekeeping and restaurant areas. Housekeeping now make daily deliveries to re supply clean towels and milk/tea/coffee/biscuits which are left on the floor outside each room door (slightly disconcerting for anyone with sight loss and using a white cane definitely a trip hazard), and items remain there until a guest takes them in. On a longer stay there needs to be a system to remove full bins from the bedroom and bathroom (with personal hygiene items) as there is no daily room service. We had to leave our rubbish bags outside our door. We found housekeeping staff dealt with our extra requests in a polite, efficient and friendly manner. We ate one evening meal in the restaurant at 18.30 when there were very few people eating. Service was friendly and quick. Both steak meals were excellent with hot and tasty food. There was slight confusion for other guests wanting to order bar drinks and we had a few wandering past us without masks. The signage needs to be clearer about how to order/pay for drinks, mask wearing and table service. Our daily breakfasts were booked for 9.30. It is full table service only, no buffet. Even at this late hour fresh fruit and yogurts were available, cooked breakfast was warm but tasty. I'm assuming due to C19 regulations the tables are not laid with cutlery, side plates, condiments etc, but only cups and saucers. Our food was served in very quick succession and we had plates of toast, yogurts, fruits, tea, coffee, sugars, butter all arriving together with two cooked breakfasts which became slightly overwhelming in trying to find a place on the table to put everything, especially for a partially sighted person. After the first morning we always reserved a four person table. The staff were patient and competent once they realised our needs of service. As Mum uses a wheeled stroller we used the accessible doors at the back of the hotel which would benefit from at least one automated door as it is difficult to open one door of the two sets whilst avoiding being hit by the other one. We stayed in a deluxe room on both stays as these appear to be the only rooms with walk in showers. These rooms are a good size with new decor and a small fridge. We found the duvets heavy and too warm on both visits as the rooms are warm without heating but the windows do open and there is a/c for heating/cooling. These rooms come with a view over a small garden area, bandstand and a small part of the golf course. There is an issue with the room card keys not working after returning from every day out, even assuring it was not near the mobile phone. Slightly irritating when the rooms are the furthest distance from reception.

We chose Kenwick Park as our wedding venue back in 2018 and returned again in 2019 for our anniversary. Each time the service has been superb, food quality excellent and the staff exemplary. Fast forward to a Covid affected 2020 and it's a different story. Crazy rules, slow and poor service and cold food are not what this place is about. It seemed to be run by children with little or no idea about the level of service required when places are crying out for business in these difficult times. Can and must do better.

Having stayed before in one of the park lodges thought we would give the hotel a go. Nice big new room on the ground floor and pool open which is great. We phoned 4 weeks prior to book a dinner reservation to be told ok to book on arrival and guess what...No space. However we did get squeezed in and had our meal between 9/10pm. Disappointing mains, came Luke warm and obviously sat on the side for ages awaiting service to our table. (£15 for a burger basically). Unfortunately the English breakfast was the same as it was picked by the waitress from buffet dishes and all food was 'stewed' and Luke warm at best. Suggest a 7am breakfas when food possibly fresh! I feel things could be better despite current Covid measures in place.

We had a lovely large room and bathroom and we enjoyed a satisfactory evening meal where the staff were most helpful. After that it went a bit downhill mainly due to a poor's night's sleep due to a non-mask wearing staff member waking me, needing to check the smoke detector in the room at 1:30am! There was no fire or smoke and thankfully a false alarm. Fair enough if there was smoke in the room tripping the sensor but there wasn't!! The receptionist and manager didn't seem to understand that this was a problem and did state that the system was working correctly and recently serviced! Breakfast was very busy and very understaffed - poor chap did his best. To be fair to the hotel they did give us some money back for the disturbance but it was a bit of a battle which shouldn't have been.

Just had 2 days at Kenwick Park. Must compliment the staff during these difficult covid times, they were excellent. Friendly, helpful, whilst being alert to any potential risks. The hotel was “on the ball” with its precautions keeping everyone safe, whilst not stifling the holiday break. Well done everyone! The food was very good, the surroundings are lovely and our room was very clean overlooking the gardens and golf course. Perfect on a sunny day.

There was much about our recent stay that was very good. The room overlooking the golf course was huge, and beautifully fitted. All the staff were helpful and covid precautions were in evidence everywhere. Our evening meal was good, though my first pint of Black Sheep was a bit below par. The second one was much better. But, when we opened the windows in the bedroom we found that we were directly above the terrace where smokers were enjoying the afternoon sunshine, so the smoke drifted into our room. And very late in the evening the terrace was occupied by people chatting very noisily indeed. They moved away when asked but perhaps a notice asking for consideration is needed. Breakfast was average. All the components of a full English served from heated trays. There were a lot of people there, a company conference I think, so perhaps inevitably it just wasn't as good as the excellent individually cooked breakfasts we had enjoyed in several B&Bs. The hotel is set in 320 acres, but finding somewhere to walk the dog was not easy. we were directed down to the woodland lodges where quite a lot of building is going on and eventually found a Woodland Walk. Enough for brief stretch of the legs, but not as grand as the website led us to believe.

I can't fault this place one bit, the room was excellent, evening meals and breakfast were wonderful, a proper fried breakfast. All hotel staff were excellent and very friendly. Grounds were lovely we will definitely stay there again.

We arrived at about 7pm on a Friday to be greeted by no spaces in the car park. I went to a nice empty car just yards away from hotel cqar only to read 'not for hotel guests'. So I did what everyone else did and parked on the grass. Having found the last spot on the grass we made our way to reception and the lady got our room card straight away. I asked whether we could have breakfast in our room she said yes no problem what time and wrote my name down on the list and said to ring with what we wanted off the menu. So we went to the deluxe room which was really nice with a beautiful view everything looked clean and brand new. I tried to find a welcome pack with information like meal times menus and numbers for the phone. I couldn't find anything, just leaflets about coronavirus. So next day we wake up at little late and walked into the bathroom to find I was completely covered in a rash. While me and my partner figured out what happened and got ready for the day we noticed the time had nearly got to 10am so by the time I had worked out what number reception was breakfast was finished. I will say that this was probably my fault for not ringing but surely when they take a time, a room number and a name they would ring you just in case you had forgot because its a pointless exercise to take information down. So we walked to the restaurant trying to find a breakfast list to see what was a available and couldn't find one with no staff in sight we decided to head into louth and visit a pharmacy to figure out why I had a rash. Having got to the pharmacy they asked if I was allergic to any food but I hadn't had a rash before I went to bed and the last thing I ate was a co-op sandwich. Having bought antihistamines and cream we headed back to the hotel and I then asked the same lady what we had to do to get a breakfast menu in the hotel because we can't pick from a list that we can't find. She then passed me a breakfast checklist to fill in. I was amazed I just couldn't work out why she didn't give me it the first night. We booked a table for the evening meal and went back to the room then found our key card didn't work so back to reception i go (she sorted key card out straight away no problems). Evening came and we went for the meal which was absolutely amazing the staff were really helpful and we had an amazing meal great food! Just a shame they aren't working in reception. Having had the meal we went to reception to hand our breakfast order in so nothing would go wrong and she checked it and said no problem. Next day we woke up and my partner started scratching and had a rash similar to mine. We couldn't understand it I didn't complain the first night because I just thought it was me. We thought that its maybe the washing powder they are using for coronavirus or something but it got to both of us in the end. I actually slept in my clothes the second night outside the duvet and my rash significantly reduced. I can't understand what happened because im not allergic to anything I just hope the sheets were clean and not months old. 9am arrived and by 3 minutes past we got our breakfast. Finally! The food being spot on again. I must admit I never complained about the allergic reaction to reception because I thought it was just me then when we realised we both had it we just wanted to leave the room which was a shame because the deluxe rooms are nice. I think this hotel is good it just requires better staff on reception and information so the people that stay there no what to do. Food is great but I think they must wash the sheets in caustic soda or something.

The review title comes from one of the choices on an extremely limited and never changing menu. If you are dissolving into hysterical laughter at this crass attempt to say whitebait in French then the hotel is not for you. If you see nothing incorrect, then probably the Hotel will suffice. Tired rooms, overworked staff, poor menu and just about everything wrong. Some of the staff had been trained at Fawlty Towers. If you want good food, excellent service then go to the Courtyard down the road. It is the Golf Clubhouse. Never ever again.

Stayed overnight B recently with friends. Room nice although shower ancient . Surprisingly no fridge either but 2 hair driers ! Communal rooms and bar area looking tired and uninviting Food mediocre and breakfast service struggling due to lack of staff . Staff were doing their best however continually apologising for something which wasn't their fault - just needed another pair of hands.

Excellent service as soon as we arrived at the hotel. We arrived before check in (hadn't realised check in wasn't till 3pm) but the staff were very accommodating and checked if our room was ready for us to settled in, of course this was very helpful as we had our 2yr old with us. Very quick service in terms of ordering our food & drinks. Beautiful surroundings, beautiful spa/swim facilities, lovely sized room. Polite staff. Perfect hotel, we booked to stay here as it's only a 20-25min drive from mabelthorpe beach, you feel as though you've been away on 2 different trips once you get back to the hotel. Lovely food might I add. Couldn't find any fault. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Thank you again all at hotel!

Check in was easy and quick nice smiley girl on reception our room looked nice and clean until husband moved a bedside table looking for a plug and found a rather soft half wrapped biscuit behind it! This made us look closer there was quite a bit of dust on door frames and pictures . Inspite of everywhere been deep cleaned according to the website Also our fan didn't work properly which was needed as it was very hot. When we went out we quietly told reception about the biscuit showing it to them and also asked for another fan, the receptionist didn't seem bothered about the biscuit and just threw it in the bin saying "Oh that's not very good". When we returned a couple of hours later the fan had not been replaced I must point out that Housekeeping were very nice although they didn't service rooms that were occupied they happily changed me a towel I had dropped in the bath! We ate in the hotel that evening very nice meal and just in conversation with the waiter mentioned the fan 10 minutes later he came over and told us there was a fan outside our room which was much appreciated, perhaps he should be on reception. Breakfast next morning was huge but very nice and quickly served, as breakfast has to be pre-ordered I ordered toast for the next day husband a bacon sandwich we waited half an hour everyone else had left the dining room before our 's arrived! As we were leaving next day and check out was 10am we ordered breakfast room service for 9.30 however at 10 0'clock we had to go on a breakfast search when it eventually arrived it was all wrong we just ate what there was and headed down to check out, where we were presented with a bar bill for £68 luckily we still had our card receipts showing we had paid the receptionist was very apologetic. On the whole it was a nice stay there's just a few little things need sorting out but at the moment everything is strange. Some of the public areas also look rather tired especially the dining room/bar area

We stayed for 2 nights in August 2020, and loved the large room with high ceilings, and a lovely view over the golf course, countryside and bandstand. The staff were all very pleasant and friendly. Signs were everywhere about wearing a mask in communal areas, but at times us and the staff were the only ones wearing them - lots of other guests, including a large group of golfers, ignored the signs, which was rather annoying. Breakfast was nice, and served to you, which worked well. The pool area had to be booked, which was understandable - 18 per hour booking slot. The outside hydropool was very nice - powerful jets of water to pummel your shoulders, and a maximum of 3 to this area. Such a shame you couldnt use the other spa rooms, such as steam room, sauna etc, due to Covid restrictions. All in all, a very nice mini vacation, our first in months!!

Once again an enjoyable stay at Kenwick Park Hotel,Comfortable room, relaxing time swimming, in jacuzzi and hydrotherapy pool(obviously other facilities closed due to covid). Good food both breakfast and evening meals. Very helpful and friendly staff especially Amy and Phyllis who went that extra mile.

I recently had a “staycation” at this hotel with my family and our small dog. We booked a 2 night stay and really enjoyed it. The hotel is dog-friendly which was one of the reasons we booked to stay here. The staff across the whole resort are very friendly, welcoming and efficient. The rooms were very nice. There was a double and king size bed in our room, coffee/tea making facilties and a good sized bathroom. The hotel has a spa which is very good indeed and is free to guests, however, there are time restrictions (1 hour) for everyone using the facilities. The pool and jacuzzi are a good size and the outdoor hydrospa is excellent. Unfortunately, due to Covid restrictions the sauna, steam room and ice room were not available to use. You have to book to use the spa facilities, I'd recommend doing this in advance as it does get booked up. We were on a bed and breakfast deal. The food was very good. There was an excellent variety of choice for breakfast. Under the new restrictions you have to order your breakfast the night before you want it. The food is cooked fresh and brought to your table but this can be a little slow especially when the restaurant is busy. The staff are really friendly and do their best to serve you as quickly as possible. The hotel has a golf course. Although I didn't have time to play I would return in the future to play the course. There are plenty of walks to be had in the surrounding grounds and local area. Great for personal exercise and long dog walks. I would recommend staying at this resort.

We visit Louth on a regular basis due to family in the area. This hotel is a little distance from the town centre but the facilities it has to offer, far outweighs the inconvenience of not being able to walk into the town. The hotel and site is currently undergoing a huge refurbishment including new lodges owned by Landal, we stayed in one of the newly refurbished hotel rooms and I have to say it was exceptional compared to the old style rooms. The breakfast was above and beyond and served by very helpful and polite waitresses despite guests not following the pre-booking system which caused an immense amount of pressure on them. We also rang in advance and booked a daily slot in the pool, it is a real shame the health spa is not being used to it's full potential due to Covid but the facility is stunning and hopefully it will be up and running soon offering spa days. I did partake in two treatments during the visit, the staff in the spa were lovely and I would thoroughly recommend spoiling yourself! Overall, a very enjoyable trip and the addition of 3 nights for 2 was an absolute bonus.

Stayed for two nights with friends for our track day at Cadwell Park. Rooms very comfortable and clean. The Spar /leisure partooked very nice but did not use. The bar service was a bit slow but they seemed to have extra paperwork to do as it was during the eat out to help out period. Food was very good and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

We stayed here for two nights for a family funeral. Jess on reception in particular was fantastic from my first telephone call, through numerous emails I sent her & her colleagues to check out. We met lots of other lovely staff while having Lunch on Wednesday (which we got £10 off through #eatouttohelpout) dinner & two visits to the excellent spa. You have to wear a face covering in all public areas & can only take them off when seated for food/drink. The hotel has a lot of seating in different rooms including outside. Room cleaning was very good. Used plates are left lying around a fair bit & we had to chase our room service breakfast on both days but apart from that, a fab visit & I'd recommend supporting the British economy by going here if you want food/drink or fancy 2 break in the area.

Stayed here for a couple of nights in August as a family of 3. Firstly, if you are expecting an experience exactly the same as you'd have had before March 2020 then I suggest you stay at home and wait for a vaccine. The fact is, it's impossible for any hotel to perform to 100% during these incredibly challenging times. Due to social distancing rules there are limits on what can be offered, however we felt that the excellent, incredibly hard working staff at Kenwick Park did everything they could to make our stay as enjoyable as possible, while remaining safe. You are asked to pre-book your evening meals and breakfast. Breakfast is fantastic. Evening meal was good, although some other impatient guests stropping about because they had to wait a little longer for their food than they would normally expect didn't help things. The restaurant overlooks the lovely grounds so try and get a table by the window. One morning we had breakfast while watching a woodpecker just sat on the lawn in front of us! It's wise to book in advance for the fantastic leisure facilities, although they will try and accommodate you while still adhering to the rules (max 16 at any time). Unfortunately, the sauna and ice room were closed but the pool, Jacuzzi and outside Hydra Pool were open. That said we got kicked out of the Hydra Pool due to lightning... got to love the British summer! The gym looked large and well equipped but we didn't use it. As others have said take your own towels and make sure you wear your costumes under your clothes on arrival. There are quite a few golfing groups using this facility as well as families and couples. The Hotel facilities are also open to guests staying at nearby lodges... quite nice to have a walk down and look at these, however the prices in August are astronomical! Our family room overlooked the gardens but I don't think all rooms have this, so maybe make a request before arrival. Well-appointed but the bathroom was getting a little dated and could probably do with an upgrade. We used Kenwick as a base to visit the East Coast, about 25 mins drive away. We Didn't have time to explore Louth but drove through once and it looked very nice. On our return home decided to divert and have a look at RAF Coningsby. If you love aeroplanes and Jets then this is a brilliant FREE attraction and was probably the highlight of our short break... midweek is the best time to visit. We would definitely stop at the Kenwick Park Hotel again, especially when all the facilities are once again available.

We booked through GolfBreaks to have a stay and play at Kenwick which included 2 rounds of golf, room, bed, breakfast & evening meal for £109 a person. Honestly, an absolute steal. The golf course was in superb condition and was a lovely course to play, quite challenging and tight in places. Given the current covid situation and the difficulties it presents the hotel was well set up and organised; we liked the idea of booking your meal choices and breakfast in advance to make it easier for all involved. The food was very good and for the price the portion sizes and quality was impressive. Only downside was the sausages with breakfast which we all agreed had a really odd taste! The main thing was the attitude of the staff; they were super. Friendly staff on reception, the young lady who served us for breakfast was great, very talkative and had a smile on her face (could just about see it through the mask!). We were so impressed we've booked to go back in a few months time, booking direct through the hotel as the rate is better! The staff are a credit to themselves and I don't feel good service gets flagged often enough, yet people are quick to moan. Keep doing what you're doing, see you in October.

Lovely hotel room very spacious and clean! Lovely hard working staff all wearing masks bless them and it was hot hot when we stayed! Food was amazing we had breakfast and dinner which was a great price and of excellent quality! Swimming pool was lovely booked in no issues for this but do take towels from your room or with you as they are not handing any out due to Covid 19 and wear your swim stuff under your clothes! Lovely grounds with seating but would benefit from some nice comfy outdoor seating instead! Overall a great stay And they even had Netflix on the tv!!! Will be stopping again!

This is a beautiful hotel in a lovely location. The grounds are stunning. The swimming pool is the best I've ever experienced at a hotel, which made it great for the kids. There were a few minor issues around covid 19, but nothing that was the hotel's fault. The restaurant was still open, which made breakfast a good experience.

stayed at kenwick for 1 night whilst away on a business trip. Staff seemed very rude on arrival, maybe because it was late on. went straight to the bar for a drink as id drove for 3 hours and was gasping. waited around 25 minutes for a drink. I then went to bar to get another drink again 20 minutes until i saw somebody, i dont know if there was another bar i could go to it seemed like ghost town, a few couples was sat at tables with empty plates all i could think was they was very under staffed. got to my room which was immaculate at first glance but then found flies and dead bugs on my bedding and all over the window cill. rang down to reception and got no answer 4 times. i dont know if this is usually the case but when i read that staff are attentive i could not help but laugh to myself

The Kenwick Park estate is beautiful and well laid out The Hotel staff are warm friendly and attentive nothing was too much bother and they could not do enough for us even with social distancing in place. They were helpful and polite, The room was spacious and clean as was the bathroom (the bathrooms are huge in the family rooms!!) could use aircon but I appreciate not needed so much in the UK however we had 33degree heat during our stay.... Restaurant and bar staff are brilliant too same as everyone else with attentiveness and warmth, as were the room cleaners bringing us anything and everything needed. The older poolside attendant at the Spa facility could learn a thing or two as he was really rather abrupt and rude when bringing it to my attention that mobile devices are not allowed poolside we were part of a private family swim and i wanted to capture my babies first ever swim.... not to mention i use it to Monitor my diabetes! However the spa reception staff mirror the hotel staff so a big thumbs up to them! Overall an amazing hotel, amazing staff and wonderful grounds we will definitely return again in the future!!! Thank you

The family booked into the BWKPH on Friday 7th August 2020 for our first real venture out after the covid-19 lockdown. As I, Colin, am suffering from major anxiety/panic attacks after returning to work following 14 weeks of shielding, i was very concerned about our safety. I needn't have worried, the staff at the hotel are brilliant and all wear face masks if they are customer facing. There are signs everywhere about social distancing etc and hand sanitiser is available at reception and the entrance to the dining area. They have many rooms set out for dining with a limited number of tables in each. The staff are cheerful, friendly and helpful and the food is out of this world. The steaks are incredible and the mushrooms.... well let's just say three of us had gastronomical explosions when we tasted them. The rooms are impeccable and the housekeeping is covid safe with them not actually entering the rooms but leaving all you need at the door. We visited the swimming pool, you need to book your 1 hour slot, and again the social distancing etc is enforced with only 2 people allowed in the spa pool and 3 in the heated outdoor hydro pool at a time. The changing rooms are cleaned between each group of bathers and a one way system is in place. We can't praise the staff enough, they were attentive yet distanced, chatty but not overly so and when we had breakfast before we checked out it was obvious there were a few hiccups in the kitchen and the waiting staff were very apologetic even though they had no control over the situation. The grounds are spectacular,there is a peaceful calm around the hotel with very little external noises intruding on the tranquility. Would we go back, we are already trying to decide what dates to book.

OK, just a 1 night stay. Meeting up with family in the area. Regretfully, we couldn't have dinner at the Hotel because of Covid bubbles being limited to two households, we were three. So I had to suffer a BBQ in a family members back garden. I detest BBQ. The Hotel, however, saved the weekend. The room (110) was immaculate. Herself is obsessed with cleanliness (it's her job), she could not find fault. The bed was huge, comfortable and a cracking night's sleep was had. The next morning, the shower almost blew me out of the bathroom, a proper shower, not a dribble. (Oh, the bathroom extractor fan was noisy, I forgot to mention it on Checkout, a minor niggle). Breakfast was amazing. OK, with the pandemic, we had to pre-order (I suppose not a bad thing really), I ordered a Full English. It was the fullest Full English I've ever had in a hotel. Cooked to perfection and presented by a lovely Lady who was overseeing the Guests by both seating them and helping to serve them. Her cheerfulness, friendliness and professionalness shone through. Regretfully, I didn't see her as we left, but my thanks to her will be remembered by me. All in all an excellent experience. We will be back.

If you've been to a Country House type of hotel then you will expect creaking floors, threadbare carpets, dusty curtains, window frames caked in years of paint and a damp musty spell? You will not get that here!! A well looked after hotel, still retaining some old fashioned charm. A recent extension with excellent modern rooms, double glazing and modern bathrooms. The main public areas are spacious and show there history well. The hotel ground are fantastic. A huge golf course and clubhouse. A modern fitness centre, swimming pool and gym. They served the biggest full breakfast I have ever seen in a hotel, so much so that we asked for smaller portions the next morning. Enough people in the bar to make it interesting and good evening meals. Now, why not 5 stars? Service was excellent with everyone willing to help. However it was terminally slow. 35 minutes waiting to get a drink in the bar with only 2 other people waiting! Being shown a breakfast table then waiting for 20 minutes for any service. It was a “eat out to help out” evening. Only one person serving at the bar. That person was also taking payments for food orders as well, writing down on a note pad all the food, deducting the 50% then adding on the drinks. You can imagine how long this was taking. Absolutely ridiculous! The whole situation could have been solved by putting another sever at the bar taking drink orders only. This person could the clear and clean away tables, instead of then remaining piled with empty glasses most of the evening. So I'm sure the service slowness in the bar and at breakfast could be solve by training and another server. I know this would mean another wage, but they would serve more people! We had a great stay there and would definitely visit again. Shame about the slow service though. Service

As a family we stayed in kenwick lodges and booked into the hotel for an evening meal at 7pm. We had to give our choices of meal before our arrival so it could be prepped ready. I had to chase a member of staff for drinks after 30mins being seated. When then had to chase our meal when our drinks arrived after 45mins. By 9pm I chased our desserts as these had been pre ordered. At 9.15 with 2 young children we decided enough was enough and paid for what we had and left. Absolutely shocking service.

I am currently staying at the hotel and can not congratulate the whole team for offering great service despite the Covid restrictions and guidance. Upon arrival and during the stay the reception team have been helpful and cheerful. The food and waiting staff have been excellent. I find it hard to believe that any other business have implemented and observed such safety measures and still offered a seamless guest experience. It beggars belief that some people want to raise such petty issues in bid to receive discounts or refunds, i've Witnessed some guests with no appreciation of the effort that's going in to make places compliant so we can get away and travel. Please Start looking at the positives. Well done to the Kenwick Hotel

Overall, this wasn't a terrible stay. The reception staff were great, the spa and leisure facilities were lovely and the room was comfortable, clean and enjoyable. The food was also really good and very much enjoyed. Now the reasons for the 3 stars instead of 4 or 5. - the service in the restaurant was poor, they must be understaffed or something because it took forever to get served. It took about 10 minutes to get seated, and then double that to just get a drink. At breakfast, got seated and then seemingly forgotten about, waited 30 minutes to just order a drink. We had prebooked our breakfast yet that still took 30 mins to arrive. Several times we tried to get the attention of the staff but to no avail. Other than standing up and shouting I have no idea what else I could have done. - at breakfast we were seated next to a vacated table that was full of dirty dishes, this was not cleared for the duration of our meal! - it was a very warm day and night, the window to our room did not open properly and all we had available was a fan that moved the air around. If we had been here longer we would have requested to move but just for one night we made do. In all, a lovely hotel but would I rush back.... no.

I immediately could see everyone following the govern guidelines regarding Covid. The place was spotless, with someone constantly cleaning high-touch points. Jess at reception was extremely warm, professional and friendly. Simon at the bar/restaurant area was very reassuring regarding my concerns of Covid and informed me of all the precautionary measures they had in place. The overall impression of a clean, safe and professionally run establishment allowed me to feel safe and looked after to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the property. They even made my pet dog Bella feel right at home. Highly recommended and will return in future!

Stayed here after been recommended by a friend. Was visiting friend who lives in louth, fantastic first impression very secluded back of a main road. Checking in seemed quick almost as if i was a nuisance as the girl had other things to do. Anyway i went to my room which i finally found after no directions, room was tidy but had a funny smell, maybe it was all the covid cleaning chemicals. My towel was dirty so headed to reception to be told ill get it sorted. I was leaving to visit my friend at 7 still no sign of towel, i then went back to reception to be told by another member of staff housekeeping have gone home now! Does that mean i cant have a towel??? The response “ im not sure “ just didnt cut it. I only wanted to get a shower with a clean towel. I decided to give it a miss and go out, back on my arrival around 9.30 i jokingly asked out of sarcasm If receptionist had found any towels to which i got “ not this late “ i didnt know weather to laugh or cry. For pure ignorance and lack of care for customers

Unfortunately serious lack of communication when we stayed.Due to covid19, our check in time was 4pm not 3pm Check out was 10 am not 11am.No room clean. Not told in advance,had to ask why.Also billed for 2 drinks we hadn't had.Please ask about these things before you go as you won't be told

The hotel sent me an email a week before my stay. This was littered with spelling mistakes and was highly unprofessional. This was unfortunately, a sign of what was to come. The email said we could check in at 3pm, this was not so! We were asked to wait till 4pm to allow for extra covid cleaning. We were sent to the bar for a drink while we waited. The bar was empty. We waited 15 minutes until a member of staff appeared to serve us. Once in the room it was clear it had not been recently cleaned. There was a thick layer of dust covering the clock/iPad charger and there was food stuck round the buttons. We had booked for 3 people but there were only towels and cups/glasses for 2. As there was no in room information provided and no reception phone number we had to trail back from the furthest end of the hotel to reception. We were told they would sort out what was missing. 4 hours later this still hadn't arrived. We went back to reception again and found it had been left there for us to collect. Obviously no one could be bothered to bring it to the room or even let us know to come and collect it. The following day we had run out of tea and milk and had to ask for this 3 times and go backwards and forwards to reception before we were given any. We had to laugh as we wondered what would go wrong next! Our breakfast order sheet was misplaced but magically reappeared the next day. Overall the room was okay. A bit dated but had new carpets. The shower screen leaked all over the bathroom floor. The beds were very comfortable and we slept well. The best bit about our stay was breakfast. It was cooked to order and was extremely tasty. The breakfast team were very friendly and attentive and provided great customer service.

Thoroughly enjoyed the first night post covid stay in this fantastic hotel. Lovely decor, spacious rooms, friendly staff. We we were made to feel at ease from moment we arrived. Beautiful spacious rooms - delicious food.

We went to Market Rasen races and chose to stay here for the night , it was lovely a good choice we had a deluxe room so nice looking out on the beautiful grounds. Breakfast was very good indeed and staff friendly , would go again.

this is a wonderful hotel have stayed here many times. rooms excellent food excellent service etc. but! this time we were dissaponted especialy witht the current epidemic to see a realy dirty bathrom door all around the Handle. Secondly at breakfast when I went for my cooked breakfast there were no plates available, I had to go and find someone! to bring some out. on opening the hot trays, there were no fried eggs tomatoes or beans available. I asked when there would be some and was told they are cooked to order? this was a buffet breakfast! when they arrived no one came to inform us they had been put out. there were only about 6 of us in the restraunt. I know at least one other person was also waiting for food, some staff spent more time in the corridor chatting than looking after guest's! never had this before. sad to mark down our visit this time

My partner is in the Army and has been away for two months... I booked a spa break for us both for a few days after his return. Unfortunately, his flight was delayed/postponed.. I asked Kenwick if I could rearrange.. not cancel, just rearrange. I was told that it's their policy not to rearrange or refund any visits despite any special circumstances. Even though they wouldn't loose any money? Bizarre. So be careful, as that will also include illnesses. Very disappointed that their customer service does not adopt any compassion whatsoever. Their values are clearly not with their customers at all, just taking your money.

Super hotel with luxurious spa. Spent a couple of days here and throughly enjoyed our break. Staff were so pleasant and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble just what you need from a break away. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of staff to keep things running smoothly. We ate in the hotel one evening and the food was fresh and tasty. The spa is worth a visit too.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel as we had also done the previous year. Staff are lovely and friendly, The hotel is very clean, good breakfast, excellent evening meal, good gym, good spa with afternoon tea Included although a few minor things weren't working perfectly in the pool area. Al in all well worth the money and I would recommend and hope to go back with friends next year.

We had a lovely stay, our room was hugh with a massive walk in shower, all the staff were really nice. We stayed one night with an 3 course meal which was cooked to perfection. The breakfast was outstanding, probably the best breakfast i have ever had in a hotel. We then had a spa day with afternoon tea and a treatment each, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel

We spent a couple of nights here, actually a return to a place I lived in before it was turned into a hotel. I lived here when it was Kenwick Hall. A mix of memories and interesting to see the way it's developing. My one real concern was that nobody appeared to know the rights of a service dog except one gentleman called Liam. My dog travels with me to save my life , not as a pet. My dog is a highly trained dog for diabetes, she has full harness to identify this ( even though that is actually not required by law) please ensure your staff are aware of the Equality act as it was embarrassing on the first day to be told I couldn't go in the dining room. Most of the staff were very friendly and after the first confrontation it was fine. I would like to contact the manager directly regarding this .

Our stay was beautiful. Our room was stunning, from the wall paper to the plush carpet and large bathroom. We came for a wedding, but even the breakfast buffet was just as delicious as the rest of the food that day. My gluten intolerance was easily catered for and the hotel, bars and rooms were immaculate. We will request the same room if we stay again, it was worth the price just to stay in bed! Our room also gave us use of the pool and gym, and we were so happy with our night at Louth we are considering trying a game of golf just to have another reason to come back to the venue!

We had a fantastic night at the hotel , we had our meal at 7 and it's was great , food was amazing , and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a few members of staff on who chatted to us special thanks to Simon and Nikole , there was a wedding on but we couldn't hear a thing compared to other hotels we've staid at , room was great nothing bad to say about our stay at all Will defInately come back THANK YOU!!

Fantastic service quality food lovely setting. Brilliant spar. Value for money. Could not fault the whole experience. Holte is well keept. I keep going back as the staff are out standing. My daughter got married there in 2016. I'm never disappointed

Have never had such a poor Afternnon Tea that I have had today at Kenwick Park Hotel. Poor quality, sandwiches were stale within one hour of being on the table. Cakes were or looked like left overs. No offer of refill for tea ar coffee. Had to ask the waitress for cutlery. The waiter was the only pleasant thing about the whole afternoon. Will I go again. No. There are much nicer places to eat in Louth. Hotel itself is very nice but afternoon tea is a complete disappoinment

First visit here and will not be the last, it's superb. Just on the outskirts of Louth and set next to the golf course. Check in was fast and the room was fantastic over looking the Golf course and really nice room. Comfortable bed, large TV and fantastic bathroom. Restaurant menu was good and a great breakfast. Small bar to relax in, unfortunately if you require sports channels there's none here. There is a Gym and swimming pool on site as well.

Had a really good stay. Although the room was warm and somewhat difficult to sleep in. But the friendly staff, great amenities, cleanliness was the best I've seen for some time and evening meal was delicious.

Our spa break was fantastic. All the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The afternoon tea was spot on and all the facilities on site were just what we needed. The three course meal we had in the evening again superb and lovely staff. we had a twin room which was very spacious indeed. In our break it included breakfast and a 55 minute treatment which we both had the following morning. We both opted for the body scrub and massage. My friends was very relaxing however mine wasn't . this was the only disappointing thing :( It was very rushed and not relaxing at all, felt like I was in a washing machine...…… But overall I would highly recommend staying here and we would certainly come again.

The stay at Kenwick Park was just perfect. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and relaxed and the spa facilities were excellent. Would 100% love to go back here every weekend!! Absolute would recommend to anyone looking for some luxury relaxing time.

Stayed with my partner for a one night spa treat. Such an amazing experience from the start to the end. The hotel on its own is a bit old fashioned inside, we had upgraded our room into a new extension so it was very modern and comfortable. The food in restaurant was very good, and the spa amazing, clean and not so busy as for a Saturday. We was also able to return to Spa next morning :)

I stayed here with my 10 year old son. They booked me in to a annex next door to a load of drunks who spent 4 hours with police involvement being disorientated and manhandled back in their room! I was terrified to even open my room. The terrible noise went on for hours, it sounded like furniture went over, people falling down stairs. Disgraceful. The hotel seem to think this is ok, I have asked for a refund as I had to pay on the Saturday evening and they have refused. I would never stay here again! Terrible after care from the hotel shame on you!

I visited the spa at Kenwick Park for the third time in January for a yearly treat with my daughter. The spa and treatments have been outstanding each time, especially in January with Gemma. This being our third time we were expecting Kenwick to have remedied our previous concerns re my daughters nut allergy. Twice in the past she has been served nuts, for which we have emailed, phoned and visited to make them aware of, with little acknowledgement or satisfaction. On each visit we have notified them about the allergy on both booking and arrival. Despite this, on our most recent visit (Jan 2020) we were astonished when she was served nuts for the third time. The management tried to pass the blame to the server when really the fault should lay with them for poor training. We love the spa days and treatments but we have lost all confidence in their ability to deal with allergies when it could cause serious health issues. They need to be aware of the Food Safety Act.

Really enjoyable stay with my husband, would definitely re visit again. Room was very clean and decorated well, refreshments and toiletries provided. Plenty of food choices in the restaurant very reasonably priced.

had an amazing day at the spa for my daughters 21st birthday. the place was spotless and the surroundings very pleasant. if i had one critique it was that we were not shown round so we were a bit puzzled as to what and where but once we found our feet we were very pleased with the spa experience. i had arranged for a surprise party and room for my daughter after, we were late out of the spa and found that the food was already out when we arrived just a communication issue, easily rectified) this didn't spoil the event and her room was amazing as was the other room provided for my other daughter. the hotel is in beautiful surroundings and the inside of the hotel did not disappoint either. just to point out that some of our guests did say that the odd serving staff were a little unfriendly but the hotel was packed with other groups and they were very busy and in spite of this i would and will be using this gorgeous place again and have already recommended it to others .

This hotel is located on the outskirts of Louth, amongst pleasant parkland. We came to vist the seals and so didn't have time to try the swimming pool. The rooms were well furnished and comfortable. The breakfast was provided in a conservatory room overlooking the garden, with a good choice of options. Overall, highly recommended.

Recently attended a wedding and stayed overnight. Wedding went really well...but the place is badly understaffed...and the meagre staff available are untrained. Unfortunately I left my phone charger in the socket by the bed on leaving. We rang later in the day to report our loss.We are still waiting for "housekeeping" to find it ..if your still looking .. it's in the socket by the bed left hand side you can't miss it ...and you probably didn't. Would not recommend or return...in case I left my wallet.

This was our second visit. The first was in a lodge but decided to try the hotel this time. Our room was lovely, with everything you could possibly need. The beds were so comfy and we had a view over the golf course was lead to a very peaceful nights sleep. The evening meal and breakfast were both very nice, as were all the staff we came across. Can't wait to return.

Great hotel for a chilled night away . The club spa is excellent very clean and excellent facilities. We stayed in a deluxe room which had recently been redecorated and was of very high standard . Restaurant was good value and high quality. Good hot breakfast next morning. Really enjoyed stay and will be definitely go back .

We arrived on Thursday 31.10.2019 for a 2 night stay. The hotel was having some decorating done and there was a strong smell of paint in the corridor but the room didn't smell too bad. The room was a good size with 2 large comfortable beds and a wardrobe with plenty of hanging space. There was tea/coffee making and a good size safe in the wardrobe. The bathroom was also a good size with a bath/shower. We ate in the restaurant on the Thursday night and the food was very good as was the breakfast in the morning. The weather was not great while we were there and we were not able to take advantage of the grounds of the hotel which looked amazing. We even spotted some deer on the driveway to the hotel.

I have just returned from a 2 night away at Kenwick park, the hotel staff were excellent as for the room I booked a Superior room but room wasn't like the picture when booking please be aware. The heating was on and off all night so was awake more than asleep, beds were comfy but gets too hot in rooms. Breakfast is great value for money. Must mention that when there you can use leisure facilities, unfortunately on this occasion the steam room was out of order which was disappointing. Other facilities were great but had to lose 2 stars one for room booking and heat and other for facilities. Hope this helps others.

Fantastic stay! We stayed for 1 night 4th of Jan for my birthday. We booked with Jess on reception who was very helpful and knowledgeable, she arranged for a little bed to be put in our room for our 5 year old which he was very happy with, the room 306 was huge and very comfortable. The spa was busy but immaculate and has excellent facilities. Dinner was included we had several choices on the menu and both my husband and i throughly enjoyed every course! Excellent chef thankyou! Also Huge thanks to Les and Sarah in the restaurant both fabulous! Sarah even offering my little boy a glass of milk to take up to bed as he was starting to feel sleepy after dinner! And keeping my phone charged so we could quietly watch some peppa pig whilst we waited between courses, again beyond the call of duty! Breakfast was excellent as always, we had a swim first so the breakfast room was busy at the time we sat down but the table was clean and the staff helpful, the offerings were good!chunky bacon, free range eggs, beautiful warm pastries, plus all the usual suspects. One final thing... the grounds! Superb! Well kept and picture perfect.We will be returning again! Thankyou to all staff kind you made us feel so welcome regards Mr and Mrs Thorndyke xx

We booked a room here for one night while visiting family in the area and couldn't have been happier! We got a special winter rate of around £58 which was for a superior room, breakfast and also use of the lovely spa. What great value for money! The room was fabulous with a lovely bay window overlooking the golf course. It looked like it was part of a newly built extension and was tastefully decorated, with a huge comfy bed and a lovely bathroom including a walk in shower. All the staff at Kenwick Park were very helpful and friendly and the buffet style breakfast was really good, the products were good quality and the food piping hot. I have attended two family weddings at Kenwick Park in the past few years and each time we visit it gets better!

The food definitely lets this place down.. I sent my main course back and was refunded. New chef required I think. On the positive side, nice big bedroom, free WiFi and Netflix available. Staff were polite.

As a family of eight, we had Christmas lunch at the Kenwick with overnight stay. The staff were friendly, welcoming and totally professional. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was superb , I can recommend this hotel for 5* service. My family and I are looking forward to Christmas 2020 so we can do it all over again.

Stayed here over Christmas on a spa deal. The afternoon tea and massages were incredible in the spa and the staff at the hotel were extremely friendly. We stayed in one of the newer rooms and the decor was lovely. Would definitely stay here again.

Recently renovated, four star looking hotel. Swimming pool, sauna etc. Outstanding. Very clean..but.. Shower in room trickled out and was unusable Restaurant is not value for money. Strongly recommend you ear dinner out elsewhere or you will be disappointed.

It was my first time staying at the hotel have had several spa days there over the last year or two. I stayed over the Christmas period 2019 (just arrived home) and I have to say my stay was excellent. The staff, facilities and the food were great. will book next Christmas for a longer stay. Loved it.

Stayed here for 1 night whilst at a family wedding in early December. We booked 3 double rooms for 3 couples. Check in time was 3pm, and frankly they were not very organised with room allocations. We were given keys to 3 rooms. 1 was not ready (after 3pm) and we found the room with door opened and bathroom not cleaned. The other rooms were ready but the key initially did not work for one room. Once we were sorted, we did enjoy our stay. Rooms were quite spacious, and adequately clean with good sized TVs. Our bathroom was a bit old and would benefit from a refurb. Breakfast was nice, and bacon and sausages of decent quality, everything self service including tea and coffee. I've given 4 stars but in reality it was 3.5. Value for money - okay but not brilliant. Was very busy the weekend we were there, may be better during quieter periods.

We stayed a whole week, so had plenty of time to judge it fairly. It's a classy and grand country club location set in several acres of stunning, peacefully isolated and relaxing vintage English landscaped parkland, yet conveniently only five minutes' drive from Louth town centre. Our room was competitively priced so it was worth paying just that bit extra instead of staying in some pokey bed and breakfast just to save a few quid. There was pool access included, though we never had time to try it. Most staff, especially the Reception staff, were really super, sweet, helpful and efficient, and even printed some documents for me at no charge. We however had issues with the breakfast crew, who we considered inept. They need to devise a better and more consistent method of marshalling guests into the system they wish us to conform to. The present breakfast system is clumsy, confusing and inconsistent, and breakfast staff lacking the requisite people-skills and graces stir confusion and impatience in sleepy-eyed guests who are simply desperate for an immediate no-fuss fix of morning coffee and a quick and easy breakfast. The chambermaids were charming, helpful and efficient, though they never hoovered our room all week, or if they did, the Hoover wasn't working properly. I will however stay there again if the price is still good.

Long weekend booked. Fantastic room. Very good food in the restaurant. Very friendly staff. Swimming pool and spa exceptional. Breakfast no problem for vegetarians. Probably the best - best western we have stayed in.

We only stayed here for one night but wished it had been for a week! Staff were very pleasant and helpful and the room was fabulous. It was spacious, immaculate and very well appointed with all accessories and refreshments one would expect from a top UK hotel. Breakfast choices were many, both generous, hot and very well presented. Management and staff are to be congratulated for providing such a high class experience for their guests. On top of all that, they are very dog friendly!!!

Hotel was excellent, accommodation 1st class and very comfortable, plenty of facilities if needed. Food was excellent and service in the dining room was swift and staff very pleasant to talk to and willing to get anything we required.

Spending the wk end here at the moment and overall is ok but lacks attention to detail. Our spar treatments where booked in on the wrong day but did offer us the morning we was leaving which was better than nothing The rooms are lovely and beds are super comfy but again no milk in the room and the seal around the shower screen leaked water on the floor. Evening meal was outstanding!! Friday night is steak night at £35 per couple plus a bottle of wine. Again, attention to detail-the steaks where served the wrong way round and we put sauce on before we realised. Not sure what happened at breakfast, but lots of people stood around waiting for clean plates and there was next to no food left. It got sorted eventually but I think it was disorganised and the glasses for the orange juice were badly smeared with lipstick to which I pointed out to the waitress but she wasn't bothered Again food was great and worth the money Would I stay again?? Yes but not my first choice

Lovely hotel , super spacious rooms, friendly helpful staff. The steak meal was excellent value for money, 2 courses and a bottle of wine per couple for £32 Can't be bad. Very nice breakfast plenty of choice and natural yoghurt for my wife not all hotels have this. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. Well done.

Excellent hotel, room superb, evening meal very good as were the staff. Only let down by a disappointing breakfast, hot food left out on heated trays too long, eggs nearly like rubber. Asked one member of staff if there were any pastries only to be told they had all gone, my wife asked a different member who promptly said he would check with chef, came back to say chef would get some ready for us in about 10 minutes, when arrived as promised they were delicious. Many thanks. Shame the first staff member wasn't so good.

Lovely overnight stay for a friends birthday.Cannot really fault our stay, facilities very good and helpful staff. Young member of the waiting staff called Alice was most polite and helpful making sure our evening was perfect.

We booked a three night break in this wonderful hotel to revisit old haunts of our life here 43 years ago. Lovely big room, very clean. Excellent breakfast. What made our stay so enjoyable was the staff, very helpful, courteous and always smiling. Special thanks to Becki on reception who helped with my initial queries about the room. I would highly recommend.

worth visiting and using the leisure facilities , hydrotherapy pool is a good part especially for me as i have arthritis and sciatica , Bar good do with more choice of beers , limited menu but i believe they have other options if you ask the staff

Fantastic hotel and location, large bedroom which was clean, tidy and comfy bed However at 7pm when I returned from dinner (which was great by the way) the room was getting cold. I had turned up the radiator but it was stone cold! I thought I may have turned it the wrong way, but 15 mins later, still no heating. At this time I decided to call reception who advised they would look at it and come back to me. Nobody called me back but the heating started to come through about 15 minutes later. Having to ask for room heating on a cold night is not something I would have thought for a hotel if this size!

Stayed for the night in one of the Annex rooms and this was a large, clean room. The breakfast was very good quality and plentiful. Would stay at this Hotel again. The location was lovely and there is lots to do at this Hotel including a pool and golf club.

Had a night away on the £99 hotel stay and food. Overall experience was great Lacking food choices on menu but perhaps this is part of the deal we was on. Food was great however Will definitely return soon

We stayed. Tow nights in 3 rooms with our CHILDREN Nd grand children. This is a beautiful setting and the rooms are so comfortable. Also the fact the family rooms are available at almost the same price as a double was brilliant. The staff were lovely and helpful and when the children got a bit loud they handled it well The second morning breakfast was slightly not as good as the first morning. But the whole atmosphere was lively. This hotel has no lift so is nit accessible for disabled unless pre booked

Second visit to Kenwick Park Hotel and use as a base for Cadwell Park Race Circuit. Reception staff helpful and pleasant and welcoming smile..! Breakfast and evening meals all enjoyable and had chance to use the Spa which was equally as nice. Restaurant staff very polite and helpful. Looks like I will be back again next year.....thank you to all at Kenwick Park

Thanks to our daughter's Christmas present, my wife and I enjoyed a fabulous day at Kenwick Park. We had a session in the well equipped gym, then the lovely pool, followed by a pump class. A lovely lunch followed that before enjoying a lovely massage in the magnificent Spa. In the evening we enjoyed a lovely meal in the restaurant. However, 2 things stood out for us, firstly the very friendly and efficient staff throughout; the spa, the gym, the lunch area at the spa, the hotel, the restaurant. I have travelled a lot and used many hotels and the quality of the staff here was at a consistently very high standard. Secondly, all area were exceptionally clean and tidy. I am delighted to say I could not find any faults whatsoever, well done to you all.

Stayed one night for wife's birthday. Had room in annex which was clean fresh modern great facilities and comfy bed. Enjoyed meal in restaurant where meal deal was spot on. Two tasty rib eye steaks great mushrooms and onion rings. Cheese n biscuits for me, baileys cheesecake for mrs b all nicely presented good portions and tasty. Had breakfast in room in order to watch World Cup final. Good drinkable hot coffee, porridge, salmon and scrambled egg. Would have liked jam/honey/marmalade to go with toast but a very minor point on excellent stay. Great friendly helpful staff. Worth a visit.

I stayed one night here for work and, sadly, didn't arrive until 1.30am so only spent 7 hours here!! I was helped in with my luggage- 3 bags for 7 hours! - to a large room with a good size bathroom. Everything was clean and tidy. I watched TV all night then ordered breakfast in my room at 7am. Unusually for hotels my breakfast was exactly what I ordered!! The same night porter brought it. It was a good vegetarian breakfast. Quite often not the case in my experience. I checked out at 9am - again helped with my bags - and was on my way. Nice, friendly staff. I stayed here once before and will stay again.

Return visit after a couple of years, booked in advance. Kenwick Park Hotel we think is one of the best in the area and was doing a theme night. Welcome was great and our Turf and Surf meals excellent. Have not stopped at the hotel as our holiday home is not too far away. Will probably try another theme night soon. would recommend to anyone in the Mablethorpe / Louth area.

The hotel is gorgeous. The staff were lovely, polite and friendly. The rooms were beautiful. Everything was clean. There were proper mugs for brews and every person was accommodated for. There was a smart tv and radio in the room too

Attended a wedding starting at 1 pm. We were told on the phone the day before that it would be worth asking to check in before the wedding start which we did. Despite having paid £140 for the room we were advised that, if we hadn't paid an additional £25 for an early check in then it wouldn't be possible and we would have to wait until 3pm. This was without even checking whether the room was ready or not. I dread to think how much our party spent at the venue for the full day but I was left feeling like I was a cheapskate. Some individual staff were very good but the overall feeling I left with was that they wanted my money and that anything I may want in return was an inconvenience. Room was adequate but nothing special and breakfast was ordinary with many items running out and no real attempt to cater for a gluten free diet. Who's the cheapskate?

We stayed for the winter offer for 2 for £99 Great place to stay for a peaceful night away, only thing that let it down was the shower in the hotel room which had no pressure, food choices was very limited, breakfast was fab! Spa facilities was great, would return to the spa.

After reading previous bad reviews I wasn't sure what to expect, though my stay 5years ago was great. We weren't disappointed, the spa was really lovely. Clean and modern, all staff were happy and helpful. The outside thermal pool was especially nice. We had two treatments each and we both really enjoyed ours. The afternoon tea looked and tasted great. As we went for a special occasion we received a complimentary room upgrade. The room was very big with a four poster bed, a little dated but perfectly clean. Our evening meal and breakfast was nice, the only downside was the main bar was closed so there wasn't much to do after the meal.

We stayed for two nights bed breakfast and evening meal the room was a family room which was was very nicely decorated with comfortable beds and a large bay window overlooking the lovely grounds and golf course. The meals were very nicely cooked and well presented and the staff were more than helpfull and very friendly we are looking to return next year.

Booked a week stay in a lodge .arrived at reception easy check in .directions to lodge at least a mile away from main building.lodge had .cob webs all over outside .decking dirty and full of leaves .ok we are in the woods .but on opening the door the carpets on entrance dirty with lots of stains in every room .cob webs all over each room. Plus side lots of dishes glasses and basically everything you could need to self catering.beds was comfy.even dvd player with some movies . Felt damp and had musty smell .now the spa facilities are amazing only down fall is times can only be used from 11/7 for lodge guests .staff on entering first time rude and not helpful on asking where we go ect . Spa upstairs can't fault them one of the best I've ever been very professional friendly and know there job went out of there way .if only the staff down stairs was the same .like I said mixed reviews.would I go again . No .

First time visitors. We liked the facilities, and found nearly everything good. What was excellent was the food served for the evening meal- appreciated the beetroot, apricot and cashew nut salad (though the apricots were dry dried ones) and the excellent fisherman's' basket main course. In our bedroom the power sockets were just not in the right place- so to it the kettle on, the TV had to go off! Interesting! There does appear to be upgrading going on.

Booked a 2 bed lodge for a wedding. The hotel was lovely but the lodge was shocking. Stunk of damp, stains on the carpet, cobwebs on the extractor fan above the hob & microwave. TV didn't work, patio doors couldn't be opened and trash left on the decking. Spoke to reception they were helpful but that's where it stopped! £259 to stay in something that wasn't worth £50!

I've put on the review nice spa as it was ok ,but that's where it stops , it's such a shame that the staff in the spa area let it down ,miserable,rude,mardy un helpful ,we've never been to the spa and booked a treatment in for a friend ,when we asked where she should go ,they looked at us disgustingly ,we had no idea it was upstairs,we had no idea how to get to the poolside or where to get the towels from we also booked in for afternoon tea , I can honestly say every bit of crockery was chipped and cracked ,the tea pot had stains all over the spout as it hadn't been cleaned from the previous guests,the cutlery was dirty too ,such a shame would not recommend the spa or afternoon tea

Visited Kenwick Park Estate this morning with kids and grand kids and stayed in one of the 4 bedroom Lodges ( No.4) which was excellent and much better and more spacious than the lodges at Center Paris. The golf course attached was also very good and at £25 ppm per round was fantastic value. The spa facility adjoining the hotel was also great and the gym was well used by my children who also took a number of classes at a very reasonable £5 per class. Lots to do in and around the area and all in all significantly better value for a like for like break in Center Paris.

The staff were very attentive, and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was clean and tidy, and the rooms very comfortable. The restaurant was excellent and food top notch. Staff were happy advise on choice, and were also prepared to provide table service in the lounge area as well as the dining room. Golf course was in excellent condition, and pro shop very welcoming.

Have had some bad experiences at other Best Western hotels so I had not expected much prior to arriving. I booked to stay at this hotel due to its location close to business meetings I was attending. Receptionist was polite enough but was more interested in taking the money and not explaining much about the hotel. Also, what is the point in paying in full at check-in when you still have to wait until checking-out to receive the invoice? What a waste of time. Room type was what I had requested so that was OK, but the bathroom had not been cleaned properly, bits of unknown substances in the bath, and hair next to the taps. I did report this to reception and showed it to them. Although I did receive an apology and was offered to change room (I declined as I had already started to unpack), there was no further action from the hotel which was disappointing. The receptionist who came to see the bathroom even told me to “mention to reception when you check out see what we can do for you”, but the same receptionist was there when I checked out and she did not seem to remember this had happened. If anything, it was odd that every time when I went past reception, the same receptionist kept asking me if everything was alright in my room. Very strange. Breakfast service was a bit slow but no real issues. However, when I asked for more coffee, the staff looked at the coffee pot on my table and asked “is there no coffee in the pot?”. What a strange way to deal with customers. Dinner was fine but a bit expensive. Otherwise OK.

We attended the hotel for a wedding, the hotel is nice. Kind of old fashioned. My only problem was the receptionists, weren't very friendly. Kind of rude. The waiters/waitresses were friendly. Food was nice, the spa was amazing! Definitely recommend to anybody. The room was nice, only problem was the shower, moths around the hotel and the smell down the corridor wasn't pleasant. The wedding itself was amazing and the staff that waited on us were so friendly and polite! It's nice for a short weekend away!

Had a lovely stay at Kenwick park, our second stay this year, was not dissapointed, room very confortable, lovely confortable beds, only had breakfast this time, food good and plentiful, had evening meal preaviously, lovely well cooked steak to our likeing, all staff very friendly profesional and attentive, nothing too much trouble,. Lovely swimming pool and spa, Decor very nice, if a little dated and tired, new owners are in the process of updateing and refurbishing, which did not prove too intrusive, a lovely hotel in the lincoln wolds, will definately stay again....

I don't really like to write negative reviews as there wasn't anything particularly wrong with the restaurant here but just felt like a little lack of attention to detail. Staff were friendly. Food was nicely presented but for what it was it didn't seem good value for money at all. Left us wishing we had gone elsewhere to eat.

Nothing provided for those with even a slight disability. No ramps. No grab handles to bath area. English Breakfast foods generally dry e.g. bacon and eggs. Window cleaners appeared to have washed windows whilst they were opened and dirt splashed inside the room. Beds were very comfortable although duvets were of a higher TOG rating than expected for summer nights. Ground floor opening windows did not have safety locks and/or restrictors.

We were staying to attend our nieces wedding. On arrival the receptionist was rather frosty and when asking to have our room for 1 extra hour in order to dress for the wedding she was very very reluctant to oblige. Breakfast next morning was ok however there were no clean glasses for fresh juices and the remaining hot buffet food had clearly been sitting some time. Butter was also running out of the packet as it had also been sitting some time. The pool and sauna facilities were excellent.

Hotel was a good location for touring the East coast. Room was clean. Shower was appalling with low water pressure. Tea and coffe, good wi disconnection. No air conditioning so it was stuffy in warm conditions even with the window wide open. Breakfast was excellent but on one morning out of 3 the young female staff were poor, bordering on bone idle ! We dined one even ing at the hotel and it was fine, but in Louth there is a wetherspòon that is great value!

Nice hotel, good staff, good food and all the facilities you need for an overnight stay. Access to golf course is excellent and even if you don't play golf the views over the course are fantastic. Also very convenient to local business

The room was clean if a little dated. More disappointed by the food which was a poor quality and served by very young and inexperienced staff. Breakfast was slightly better . Would definitely not stay here again.

The hotel is on a very large site. Only one disabled parking space, next to the hotel, in a very large car park. At check in, not told about any of the amenities, which I would have expected. I was expecting a room with a double bed, what I got was a room with 2 kingsize beds. The was a couple of arm chairs however, only a stool to sit on to work at the desk. Bathroom was OK, however, shower was rubbish. Found a small fan in the wardrobe. Nice toiletries. No air con. Everywhere was very hot. Staff didn't seem to smile and I felt quite unwelcome at breakfast. Buffet breakfast, no eggs, although there was a tray for them. Didn't feel I could ask for one. Average wifi

I booked this hotel for a business trip, a good price for bed and breakfast. The grounds are lovely , and would be a lovely setting for a wedding . The rooms were spacious but there was no air conditioning and I stayed on the hottest day of the year. The rooms were clean and had tea and coffee facilities. The restaurant was nice and the staff were ok , not as attentive as other hotels I have stayed in . Good location to Louth and the hotel did have leisure facilities but I did not use these

My husband and myself visit quite regularly and have visited for nights away every couple of months for the past two years. We truly love it and are advocates for Kenwick. The service in the hotel and spa has always been fantastic and we leave feeling relaxed, replenished and happy to return. However this time we noticed some changes and I am unsure we will return again. The spa area seems to have gone down hill. It was not as clean and was in no way relaxing due to the amount of families and young children In the pool area. It felt like we were at Butlins only with less space to move around. We also noted the spa facilities were a little grubby which is something we have never found before. I did have a treatment which was as brilliant as always but then returned to the spa area and was immediately greeted by children bombing into the pool screaming and shouting and not a single staff member in eyesight to talk to about it. All these noises could be heard in the sauna and other facilities so there was no way of avoiding it. We always book a superior room as we once booked a standard and was not keen on the decor. We were surprised to see the four poster bed had been removed and the tv had been down graded in the room. This wasn't an issue as the bed was incredibly comfortable but just another change we noted. We ate out as we were not keen on staying in for once (all the screaming children made us want to get out!) the food has always been lovely though. In all, the hotel was okay but the spa was a massive let down. I can only put this down to the amount of log cabins they have built and rented out to families. I just do not feel this works to the advantage of the spa and hotel. I can only assume that the regular spa members are upset as I didn't see any! I am unsure we will come back. Again, a massive shame. We will be on the look out for a new place to visit.

Stayed here before been good and used to belong leisure club. However last time wss a let down but they did say they had changed hands an the old owner had let the place run down. Giving them another chance stayed here Friday 19th. Meal, starter a prawn dish, sure they were frozen prawns, steak medium, turned up well done. Service poor ended up on a table looking at the wall with my back to everyone. Room, bath hot tap slow then wouldn't turn off then fast, shower control fine if you 6' tall. Bed the worst I've e er slept in. Checked out felt the girls were just "doing a job" did ask if everything was OK as I was about to walk out. No comment apart from oh sorry when I politely told them how I felt

What a great few days away, the room was fabulous, the weather was fabulous, just a great time. Leisure facilities are great just to relax and recharge your batteries.. Third time here, already planning forth.

Been here a number of times and until this trip it was always very good. This time the hotel was great as always, the staff were efficient and polite, rooms were clean and the golf staff were excellent. Unfortunately though the evening meals over our 2 night stay were a very poor quality. The roast dinners tasted bland with dried out vegetables and the fish and chips were dripping in fat. We will return because overall we enjoyed our stay but the Manager needs to look into the quality of the evening meals.

We stayed at Best Western Kenwick Park on long weekend break. The room was a very good size and very comfortable as was the bed. We ate in the restaurant and the food was lovely. The staff were all very friendly. This was all made even better by the hotels beautiful park & grounds. We will come back.

What has happened to Kenwick? Such a previously lovely gym and Spa prior to it being taken over. Now clearly it's all about the numbers and bottom line which is why they are letting all and sundry in. The high joining fees used to deter the people you go there to avoid. It seems they are now actively being encouraged. It's become like butlins in a nice building. Lots of members sick to death of it. And it will only get worse with more chalets being built. Feel very sorry for the gym staff. Not been dealt a good hand at all. What a shame

A one night stay - attending a funeral reception - which was also at the hotel. The room was large and comfortable with two good size beds overlooking the main lawn. The hotel is a little bit old-fashioned in its decor but is very well kept. Evening meal was a little bit disappointing - I had to send one course back and it took a long time to sort it out. However the price - choice of steak and starter or dessert plus a bottle of wine for two people was only £32. Breakfast was a very good buffet. Cheapest price by booking on the hotel site not through an agency - £62 for the room with breakfast for two people. Great value.

We were attending a wedding at another venue not to far away so requested early check in by email a few days before, this wasn't a problem and the staff ensured our room was ready when we needed it. Staff also assisted us in arranging a taxi back to the hotel after the evening reception which arrived as they said at the time we wanted. I really couldn't fault this hotel, if I was being picky I could maybe say the spotless, spacious room was maybe a little dated but comfortable and the bed was heavenly. Breakfast was quality and we totally enjoyed our stay with the added bonus of a swim the next morning at the spa. Really good value and thank you to the most pleasant, helpful staff. Thanks

Great spa, clean and lovely pool. Clean rooms, good beds peaceful location. Friendly helpful staff, But lacking in the breakfast choice. No choice of eggs, too much grease on everything, sausages over done, no pastries or fruit left by 8.30 and not renewed before 9.30 when we left. included in booking price as I would not have paid for breakfast.

Excellent spa stay. All staff were friendly and helpful nothing was to much trouble. Room was clean and inviting. Food very good and there was plenty of choice. I would highly recommend a visit. Very good value for money. I will be back.

My daughter and I had a lovely stay here on the night of the 31st May. The ambience was great, the room was clean and very comfortable. The restaurant was great! They had an offer on of Surf and Turf which was amazing value for money! The staff were impeccable and comments like "please let us know if the steak isn't cooked enough for you as the chef will re do it" meant a lot, as it can be uncomfortable to send things back and medium steak can vary from place to place. We didn't need to send it back anyway as it was perfect! I would like to mention the staff that were working that evening as they were all fantastic, very professional and truly lovely. So a big shout out and thank you to the following restaurant and bar members: Sam Steve Sharon Katie Keenan Les Also, the lovely lady on reception was so brilliant too. Her name was Jess and she deserves a big mention too. She was a pleasure to deal with. Nothing was too much trouble and she made the time to speak and smile whenever I passed. We also went to the Spa/Leisure area, which we also loved. There was a foot spa not working, and the hot tub inside was very warm, but other than that it was lovely, and really, those things didn't bother me as it wasn't very busy and I managed to spend time in the lovely outdoor pool, which was gloriously warm! I didn't get her name, but the lady who greeted us was lovely. She took the time to show us around and explain the lockers which you don't usually get from venues. Overall, we were there for less than 14 hours! Arrived around 5pm but left before 8 a.m., but the experience within those hours was outstanding. My wife and I recently stayed for 2 nights at the Kenwick park hotel, I really must say that it was a great experience. The staff were friendly, the hotel and rooms were spotless, the grounds were beautiful. The sports facilities were amazing! Honestly it was probably the best value for money stay we have had. Stayed here for my friends wedding at the weekend. The lodge we stayed in was lovely and clean - needs some instructions for things as I've never seen a shower that needs to be pulled by a cable before the actual power to it can come on - we had to ring the desk but they were very helpful. We had a spa day on arrival, and although the afternoon tea was gorgeous the spa really let this down. The toilets are caked in grime - the top of the seats and rim are fine but you can see the actual toilet basin is disgusting. The slippers they give you are a health hazard - we were slipping all over the place. Hot tub indoors was colder than the pool, the foot spas weren't working, there was about 8 sun loungers which is not enough by far. Went for my treatment and the water dispenser is covered in limescale splashes, clearly hasn't been cleaned for a few months. I had a massage and the girl was lovely, but would not stop talking. I like to relax and switch off but couldn't as i kept getting asked questions. I came here when it first had its refurb and it was great - but I won't be coming back again after this.

Two weekend nights with a group of fellow walkers enjoying the Lincolnshire Wolds at a lovely time of year and Louth is a nice country town. Staff were helpful and the hotel facilities are excellent especially the spa.Lovely grounds with golf course. Nice clean large room in an annex but quiet and comfortable. Would stay there again.

We enjoyed a four night break in this rather understated hotel. Our room was large and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The restaurant menu was sufficiently wide so that we both enjoyed different meals each night. All the staff were extremely helpful and polite, even to going so far as to remember our names. It was very relaxing after a full day out to return to a cold drink on the terrace overlooking the hotel golf course.

My husband and I stayed in the Kenwick Park overnight on Friday 17th May. We have up until now been reasonably impressed by the Best Western brand but Kenwick Park sadly disillusioned us. We booked a Superior Double online but on checking-in we were allocated a standard double. Fortunately my husband noticed this and upon showing the receptionist our confirmation booking she altered the room number blanking out the old number. Not a good start. The room and bathroom were a good size and comfortable. The Dinner menu was unexciting and the food very mediocre quality more pub than ' fine dining'. The breakfast was an even greater disappointment, as we were expected to toast our own bread and make our own tea, water being provided by insulated jugs. The food was second rate, lukewarm and fried eggs like rubber. Upon enquiring as to why self-service tea and toast, waiter said unable to cope with high numbers, however 3 members of staff just standing around!!! We get the impression that the hotel wants to maximise revenue from the golf club and the lodges within its grounds and as a consequence is more interested in ' bums on seats' than providing a high quality experience. We were awoken at 12.10 am by men leaving the hotel and banging doors and talking very loudly. We did inform reception at the time. This is not a hotel for a quiet relaxing break.

Had another great spa break , The setting and facilities are excellent and the package is great value for money having made use of the early booking discount. The staff were attentive and helpful and the food of a high standard.

Stayed in a room in a cottage next to the hotel with our dog. Well equipped, good size, lovely and quiet and only a minutes walk from main hotel. Had evening meals from an extensive menu and we both enjoyed all courses, great service and lovely ambience and outlook. Great for visiting the wolds plus beaches. Would definitely go again

Having relatives in this area we have stayed at other hotels over the years but do consider this hotel the best, for location, facilities & comfort. Stayed here on the Friday before Easter to visit family & had room 307 again, very nice room. Good food & good service. We will stay again. Thank you to all the staff. Excellent spa facilities too.

A great Sunday lunch , staff very friendly and attentive ,well worth the money ,every where was spotless and clean ,and of cause the glories sunny day made it .we will be back may be stay the night next time.

What a wonderful location. The hotel sits on stunning grounds with beautiful views. Our room was perfect - it was a superior room, with so much space. The bed was comfortable, the towels fluffy and the bathroom glistening white. We enjoyed the Spa facilities and a few drinks, having booked in for a relaxing weekend. The bar prices are steep - £5.75 for a bottle of Crabbies (alcoholic Ginger Beer) and the drinks, varied in price too, £10.50 for one round, then £10.25, the same drinks??? The disappointment arrived at evening dinner - we were presented with a menu containing just 4 main meal choices! We asked the front of house manager, if there was a fuller menu? To be told, No, just the menu we had been handed. We retreated to the patio with a drink and wondered what we would do.... we had both had a couple of alcoholic drinks and had no means of getting into Louth and sadly there was nowhere local in walking distance for dinner! A young waiter appeared on the patio delivering chips to another table - we asked if we could order some chips too and explained there was nothing on the 4 choice menu we would choose to eat. The young waiter said, "let me go and see if I can get you the normal menu?" We explained the restaurant front of house had said the only choice was the menu we had been given (4 choices on a Saturday night - not even a steak)! What a life saver the young waiter was - he was genuinely caring and considerate to put the customer first. He appeared with the full menu, which although limited, at least gave more choice (as long as you liked twice cooked chips with everything)! The chicken dinner we both ordered (my husnand had eaten the previous evening and said it was beautiful) was certainly not cooked with passion, it was dry and clearly put the kitchen out, that we had strayed from the set menu. This is certainly one of the nicest hotels in the area you could visit, but the restaurant menu has put pay to us returning. I highly recommend the hotel for the views and beautiful rooms, but would recommend checking the Food Menus first!

Overnight stay with dinner and breakfast. Great meal and we had a dedicated room for our group which was ideal. Our room was spacious, clean and well furnished. Great views out to the golf course. Some of our group found their rooms a little bit too warm. We didn't have time for the spa but it looked good. Overall it was great for our golfing stay.

Stunning! Gorgeous grounds, and beautiful interior throughout the Hotel. We arrived mid afternoon and were checked in by a really friendly front of house receptionist. Quickly settled into our room which was a very generous size. With extra seating area,plus a beautiful bathroom. We had planned to spend a few hours in the Club Spa and it did not let us down in any way. Fresh towels available to use, secure lockers for our belongings (No bulky locker keys, the Kenwick Spa use a very clever passcode system). We were completely recharged after our afternoon. We used the Room Service Menu and ate within our room. Portions are very generous and very reasonably priced. I will be booking for a anniversary stay for my husband and I later on in the year. Perfect destination for a complete recharge. Well done Kenwick, what a treat of a place to stay at.

We stayed in a lodge for two nights here but had dinner and breakfast in the hotel. I can't thank the ladies on reception enough, they were so helpful to me before my arrival when I was trying to make arrangements me. It was my boyfriend's birthday on the day we were due to arrive and they decorated the lodge for us so we could walk in to it, I was so thankful they'd done this. It was a lovely surprise for him and a great start to our weekend. No problem was too big for the reception team and every single one of them are so helpful and friendly. The restaurant staff are so lovely and attentive too. It's so refreshing to come to a place where everyone is incredibly nice! We used the spa which is really fab. Our massages were the best massages we've ever had before. It was a relaxing day. We had such a special break at Kenwick Park, and we'll keep these memories with us forever. Thank you for everything!

I arrived late, but an easy check in. Got to room, very old, tired and not clean. No water in room, hair drier broken. Big bathroom, but old, water in shower slow. Room was noisy so waking up at various points, by air units and lift. Not rushing back.

Booked a golf package, 2 days golf and overnight in hotel B B & D. Had a delicious evening meal, being a Sunday it consisted of roast dinner choices, but found the breakfast slightly disappointing in there being not as many options as we have normally found in other hotels, however sufficient for our needs. Room was very spacious, containing both a double and single bed. En-suite was nicely appointed, shower over bath and plenty of towels. There were extras like an iron and ironing board and fan, along with the usual hospitality tray. We think the room had been recently decorated, (there was a tell-tale smell on first entering, but wasn't a problem) everywhere looked fresh and there was new carpeting. All staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. We would certainly return.

We recently stayed at the Kenwick Hotel for 3 nights. All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean and overlooking the golf course. Louth itself is a bustling market town there being a market 3 days a week. The Lincolnshire Wolds is an attractive area with its undulating countryside and tiny villages. We would certainly stay there again.

On arrival it's all a very nice country house hotel and golf club with well appointed reception and smiling staff. That's where it starts to go downhill. My room was not in the main hotel and had creaky floorboards and an underpowered electric shower that I spent longer fiddling with to get the flow and temperature anywhere near usable than I did showering. Restaurant staff were friendly, but the menu was somewhat dated in style, OK for the golfing set perhaps, but when you spend 10-15 nights away from home each month you long for a little more.

My fiancé and I booked into the Kenwick Park Hotel for a one night stay as it was local to where we needed to be the next day and as it seemed lovely from the photos etc at a very affordable price. We were delighted with the hotel when we arrived - beautiful surroundings, lovely building and decor, plenty of parking and helpful staff who couldn't do enough to make our stay comfortable (thank you!). We had booked through booking.com, but somehow our request to bring our dog got lost along the way. However, the reception staff (I think the lady looking after us was Alex) were great and immediately solved the problem, finding us a ground floor room that we could all stay in. On checking in Alex also asked if we would like to book a table for dinner to avoid disappointment - we weren't sure of plans at the time but did book a table a little later on, which was simple to do. We also learnt that we could use the swimming pool and spa for the duration of our stay. Due to our plans the following day, we explained that we would not be having breakfast at the hotel as we had to leave at 6:30am. However, Alex informed us this was not a problem and took our breakfast order so that we could have it to take with us! Our room was beautifully decorated and very spacious, with plenty of tea/coffee/hot chocolate facilities and with a definite feel of luxury. We took the dog for a walk around the lovely grounds and then had dinner in the restaurant. The food and service were exceptional, and we went for the set menu - we thought the listed price must be per person due to the quality of the food and the fact that wine was included, but it turned out to be the price per couple so that was a very pleasant surprise. After a very comfortable night's sleep, we were greeted by the morning staff who were extremely helpful, saying to help ourselves to the continental breakfast. Phyllis the breakfast supervisor was lovely, bringing out our sausages sandwiches in takeaway boxes (thank you to the chef who cooked them specially for us before breakfast had officially started!) and even made us cups of tea, with an extra cup of milk in case they were too strong. All in all it was a fantastic stay and we were only sad that we weren't staying longer - we will definitely be back for another visit!

Our room was very pleasant and staff were lovely, but the room absolutely stank like an old folks' home. We reported it and the staff just laughed and wrinkled their noses. We ended up buying air spray and waking up overnight to spray again.

We are frequent visitors to Louth to see family and this time we stayed at Kenwick Park. The room was nice and modern, but we didn't like the fact our window was directly facing the pool which was busy with adults and children, maybe some net curtains ( I know they are old fashioned) would have given us the privacy instead of having to draw the curtains when it was daylight. The bathroom was a little disappointing after the modern room.. 1980s champagne suite, mould on the shower curtain, cold tap runs hot for the first few minutes. A lack of plug sockets in the room but that seems to be par for the course these days. We didn't eat in the restaurant so I can't comment on that. Only other I would say is could do with more lighting on the drive in when it's dark.

Firstly the overnight stay in the Hotel was superb the spotless rooms, helpful and friendly staff and the food were all lovely, I cannot praise our stay high enough, The Spa day however, was a disappointment especially for my Daughter who was given this as a gift. The morning was good we spent time in the gym and the pool area, the lunch was lovely but the rest of the day was nothing but a shambles! We returned to the pool area which was quite frankly overcrowded - there were people young adults throwing ice, running , shouting and all the areas were full with no space for spa people, there was no room to swim at all - we decided to leave and get showered - what a joke no water in any taps or showers - we mentioned it to a staff member who said nothing could be done as they were filling the pool!!! So with soap suds in our hair we dressed ready for treatment - these were booked for 5pm and although the treatment and service was excellent we were told to go and get dressed straightaway as the relaxation rooms were closed. We returned home very disappointed, this was our second visit here the first one was also disappointing - as having paid for personalised Soa day the treatments were unavailable due to one being available to carry out the treatment.

The spa was really lovely and the food was amazing, my mum's just found out she is Gluten intolerant and we had to change the afternoon tea last minute and the receptionist at that time was very helpful. We found though at all other times the staff to be very rude, not smiley and we we're ignored at times, the afternoon tea was very enjoyable but when we asked for extra coffee this took at least half an hour to arrive.

We decided to have a couple of nights away during half term and found Kenwick park on trip advisor. I phoned to make sure we could get a room with shower as my husband cannot access a bath- it was a huge room with lovely views, absolutely lovely & could only have been improved by adding a grab rail to the shower. The seating area outside the restaurant was a great place to have a drink before dinner. Service on both days was excellent. The spa facilities were wonderful, I'd like to return for a spa day to try the treatments. All in all, this hotel was a great find.

I had previously stayed in the hotel for business and the experience as leisure guests was just as good. When there were glitches with the breakfast self serve the staff were very friendly and immediately resolved any matter so there was no drama. The Leisure facilities are of a very high standard as was the evening meal and the room. The grounds of the hotel are stunning and adds to the all round relaxing experience when you need a week end break.

I have used the Kenwick PArk swimming pool and spa over a period of eighteen years. Yes the demographics have changed. Now there are more families with young children. This week being half term of course it has been a busy time BUT I have never seen any bad behaviour. Remember children are our future. As a female I cannot comment on male changing room but everywhere else certainly meets my standard of cleanliness.As for the staff they are always polite and helpful. I think Kenwick Park is great value for money and a pleasure to visit.

As paying members at the spa and gym part of the hotel I feel inclined to ask what on earth has happened to the cleanliness and maintenance of this fairly new building. We joined this gym to get away from the usual crowds at other normal gyms and because of the great pool, spa and classes. My how standards have fallen in the last year. The gents locker room is nearly always filthy. The showers are useless with very low water pressure. The shower gel is always empty and the holders are constantly broken and on the floor. There is now mould growing in the corner showers. Does this place actually have any cleaners? Ive heard many people complaining about the standards of cleanliness, particularly in the studios where the classes are held. To be asked to lie on a floor that clearly hasn't been cleaned in sometime is frankly disgraceful. That coupled with the fact that it now seems to have become a creche for people who just leave their children in the seated area and go and do something else is asking us to question our rather expensive membership. Come on kenwick, what on earth are you playing at?

We stayed at Kenwick Park Hotel for my sons wedding. We arrived on the Thursday 2 days before the wedding, the staff where so friendly and helpful, rooms where comfortable and very clean. I spent some time in the spa having a mini facial which was very relaxing. On the day of the wedding the staff put us all at ease and where very helpful, the food was very tasty and the personation was lovely. We would recommended Kenwick Park Hotel for any couple looking for somewhere to get married. We will definitely be going back for a holiday. Thank you to all the staff for making my son and daughter in laws wedding very special.

Had the most relaxing day at the spa with friends for the Sunday sensation package. Booked early so got a discount - amazing price for what we got - 3 treatments and an afternoon tea. Booking again for my birthday with some friends and can't wait to come back

Having thoroughly enjoyed a stay at this hotel in September with a car club event decided to book the stay Sunday spa Monday event as a treat for me and my daughter . The hotel was equally as good this time. Afternoon tea served in the dining room overlooking the grounds ,spacious room with comfortable beds . Use of pool facilities followed by delicious evening meal and a served cooked breakfast the following morning before checking out to enjoy our full SPA day . I think this hotel would great for any event or age range .

My only complaint would be that the Vegetarian afternoon tea came with Prawn canapés. When we queried it the waitress/server seemed supprised that we didn't want them. I would have rather been asked if we ate fish instead of having to wonder if the rest of the stand was vegetarian. Apart from the prawns we both thouroughly enjoyed our trip to Kenwick spa. My boyfriend and I visited todo the seasonal spa package and found it to be amazing value for money, with it including a treatment, stay and afternoon tea ect. The spa staff were lovely and made us feel very welcome, will hopefully return soon.

Booked this at end of a two week holiday as didnt want to go home yet. Great deal and good value. Lovely location with great staff and leisure centre as good amenities. All food is lovely and well cooked. Definitely recommended and will be calling again.

Shocked at the rudeness towards an America in our party, who was only advising staff that if guests were staying in the lodges they should be advised that there was no WiFi reception before booking. Only to be told that her ‘American' husband should not expect WiFi every where. Her husband is British and she was speaking for herself. I asked for a tea bag from the Twingings range used at breakfast for my room to be told l would have to pay for it. Very odd attitude towards service. Felt very unwelcome. The spa on the other hand was excellent

We arrived on a Saturday morning and were warmly welcomed and directed to the Spa where the reception was friendly and very helpful . We each enjoyed spa ''body wrap'' and facial massage - very very relaxing ...and I actually fell asleep in the relaxation room ! Afternoon tea was a delight and served in a wonderful ''presentation stand''? . The pool was a good size and surrounds spacious . In the evening the team in the restaurant were outstanding , firstly getting us as window seat and making Yorkshire Puddings especially ! The quality and presentation of the food was outstanding. The room was spacious and comfortable , breakfast very fresh . A thoroughly relaxing experience. Highly recommended.

Stayed at Kenwick last weekend on a classic overnight spa package. We arrived at 10am and we're greeted with a welcome drink, we arranged a time for afternoon tea and we're then shown around the spa. We spent the morning in the pool, Jacuzzi, hydrotherapy pool, tepidaroum and sauna. The steam room was out of order. Afternoon Tea was served in the lounge and was delicious with a range of sandwiches, cakes and scones. Our treatments were booked in the afternoon and the team were very organised. My hot stone massage and mini facial were very relaxing. We had a beautiful three course dinner and breakfast was also included in the package, safe to say we left feeling relaxed and well fed. The only slight downside was the room as the decor was a bit tired.

Was part of work group for party night! Was very average to say the least, disco and dance something youd expect for a kids disco. Seemed ideas were limited so this was convenient and easy. Food came out really quick and was sufficient for the numbers they had i suppose, drinks very pricey and took ages at times to be fair what to expect on a busy night. My biggest issue i had was waiting for the disabled toilet as ladies was full, over hearing 2 members of staff discussing " i hope the dont stay all fu***ng night tonight, i want to get home early " i felt i wanted to intervene and tell them to smile it was christmas, but the haunchy lady with dark hair looked intimidating! i felt on edge from then on and left after my desert Would only return if really had to for a business meeeting

Amazing time, my partner and I had a wonderful stay at this spa hotel, food was amazing, I am coelic and they catered for my every need without me having to remind them. Would highly recommend for a relaxing and peaceful stay

The Hotel is good with helpful staff but the real plus, plus, plus comes with the newly rebuilt sports facility...it was great before now it really is the best hotel linked sports facility I have come across anywhere . Very well equipped gym with real sports kit [Wattbikes and C2] not the usual hotel imitations. Pool with sauna, hot tub and steam room and deal breaking outdoor aqua therapy pool .The last time , I found a hotel facility like this was in Northern Finland . Ideal for a family training camp !

An excellent Hotel all round. Although we were disappointed to find the Leisure Centre closed on arrival, having been informed to the contrary, the staff were very accommodating and arranged for late check out to allow us to enjoy the facilities the next morning... then we were pleasantly surprised to find that they had also waived our previous night's bar bill!

Stayed for 3 nights visiting family in the area so only had breakfast, which was fine without being exceptional. By 27th, they had run out of fruit salad, croissants and yoghurt! Just two staff found it difficult to cope with seating, taking orders, replenishing buffet, clearing and relaying tables. Hot buffet was well cooked, especially delicious local sausages and well prepared scrambled egg - a rarity. Room106 was a very spacious and comfortable room which could not be faulted. Surprised to find room not serviced when we returned at 10pm on Christmas Day. A notice in a corridor was pointed out to us confirming limited housekeeping service over Christmas (quite understandable) with a number of options, which included no service to your room unless you left the sign out requesting service. Notifying guests on arrival of these arrangements or preferably handing each guest a copy of the notice would have been better. However, friendly staff, lovely surroundings and excellent room made up for any shortcomings! We will return.

We were given as a wedding present a one night stay at Kenwick Park Hotel and it was a perfect gift. The friendly staff were helpful and the room was outstanding, everything we needed for a memorable stay. We would like to thank all at Kenwick, and also Lisa and Nick for the wonderful gift. I have been staying here for a few weeks the meal and drinks are average against the hotel which I would recommend. A couple of gins to choose from that's it as this is a favourite drink for many would expect more The food is ok but again I would ask the waitress for recommend best dishes. The sea food platers are very basic due to only haveing prawns and salmon ! They are close to the coast and would expect fresh with more variety.

Stayed at the hotel for a works' Xmas party. The food was fantastic and we had a good night despite the DJ equipment being rather primitive for such a large hotel. The rooms looked lovely, however, the beds were completely knackered and there were rust stains on the duvet cover. You sat on the mattress and went straight through to the base. Both beds in the room were as bad as each other and our backs still haven't recovered! Also, the shower was pathetic and needed replaced and I also saw silver fish on the floor, implying a damp problem. Won't be staying there again I'm afraid! Such a shame as it's such a beautiful hotel, let down by lack of attention to detail. However, all staff we encountered were lovely, and very friendly, eager to help. We did have someone else's food order charged to our room but they sorted it out fairly promptly.

I came to Kenwick Park for a wedding reception. Overall the event itself was lovely but multiple aspects of our stay left a sour taste in my mouth. The reception staff were amazing and couldn't be faulted. I arrived early at the hotel and they looked after my bags, directed me to the disabled toilet to get changed and fake tan, and allowed me to charge my phone. They were amazing! The bar staff at the second bar were also lovely. The room cost me £125 so I expected this to be of a high quality. I was staying with a friend. There were no plug sockets besides the ones that were occupied by lamps, so immediately there was a choice between soft lighting or charged phones. There was dust on top of wardrobes and picture frames. There was no bath mat. There was a massive tear in one of the bedside lamps. Other guests could be seen right outside the window enjoying their supper in the conservatory downstairs so there was limited privacy. And the decor was frankly outdated, looking a lot less majestic than the rest of the building. After being harassed by an older man from the wedding party, my friend and I didn't really want to bump into him during breakfast so stayed in our room, and missed breakfast, until checkout. We needed to eat so planned to find somewhere nearby which might be cheaper. My friend found a menu in the room and we noted that it wasn't too expensive at the hotel so checked out and went to the conservatory bar to ask for some breakfast or lunch. Unaware that the hotel didn't service between breakfast and lunch at noon, we asked the lady at the bar if we could have something to eat at 11. She was absolutely vile and made the whole stay even more dark following the aforementioned encounter with the male wedding guest. She said ‘we don't serve between after breakfast until 12' which my friend and I accepted. We went to leave until she said ‘I guess we could make you a bacon sandwich if you want one', rolling her eyes. We both said ‘yes please', to which she spat ‘did you WANT a bacon sandwich?'... to which we replied ‘yes please'... again. She abruptly followed up with ‘white or brown bread', to which I replied ‘white please' before she turned to stare at my friend who said ‘yes white please'. The middle aged, short haired lady then stormed off to the kitchen to undoubtedly complain about us to other staff. She came back through and took our drinks order before muttering ‘couldn't be bothered to get up for breakfast then?' to which my friend and I dared not utter a word. She chucked the plates at us and went about her daily tasks. My friend and I were discussing the harassment we'd both encountered from an older man at the wedding party and I shook my head and said ‘never again' in resignation. The bar lady who had evidently been listening to part of our conversation said ‘never drinking again?' and cackled. I use the word cackled because this is the first time she'd made any sound of happiness and it seemed cold, like she was laughing at us. And the fact that she was laughing along when we were discussing something that my friend and I could have reported to the police as assault made the whole situation very uncomfortable. Neither my friend nor I laughed. We paid for the food and left as soon as we could.

Friday 16th November Myself and my Boyfriend stayed at Kenwick Hotel & Spa. We booked our Spa break via Sparbreaks.com and not direct. The package we choose included 1x 50 minute treatment each, Afternoon Tea, 2 course evening meal, breakfast, a 1 Night stay in the Hotel and full use of the facilities between 11am-5pm. My partner didn't want to have a treatment so I rang up prier to arrival to let them know and because of this we were able to have an ice bucket in our room free of charge which I was already asking for. My treatment was at 11am and the Lady Gemma was lovely and very welcoming. It was the first time having a facial treatment and I'd highly recommend, makes you feel very relaxed & refreshed! The Pool area and spa facilities were always clean and never very busy. The pool outside was a nice touch to the place as not all spa's have this too offer. We were able to check into the Hotel at 5pm after our spa day, welcomed again by lovely, helpful members of reception staff. They also booked us in for our evening meal where we were able to pick our own time between 6pm-9pm. The Room was nicely decorated and had everything a hotel room needs to offer. We were on the ground floor which had Beautiful views over the Gardens. At the evening meal there was a set menu with 3/4 choices for each - Starter, Main & Dessert. Once at your table they give you a jug of water and offer you bread rolls to begin. The Meals themselves were Amazing! Big portions and very very tasteful! All you had to pay extra for were your drinks which again were still reasonably priced, these you do pay at the end of your stay when checking out. Breakfast at the Hotel you didn't need to book a table. It was a buffet breakfast offering cooked and continental, teas,coffees and juice. Available until 10am. Overall we both had a fantastic Stay and are looking forward to returning! If you want a relaxing & peaceful break then this is the best place to go.

Stayed in 4 bedroom lodge, simply fantastic, lodge near new, spotless, well appointed. Hotel, grounds, golf course all well maintained, spa, swimming pool area, stunning. Did not have chance to try restaurant in evening, but menu seemed varied and reasonable in price, look forward to staying again. Well done to all.

We had a amazing stay in a woodland log cabin 4 ladies, spa hot stone treatment is a must. Staff were very helpful even supplied free taxi from our cabin to main restaurant and back. Nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be going again.

Stayed for a friend's wedding October 21st as a bridesmaid. Bride and groom booked and paid for the bridal suite for the evening before the wedding and the night of. Kenwick instead gave this room to another couple whom had married on the 19th as they decided on the 20th they wanted to stay longer. My friend, the bride arrived on the 20th to find out she was would no longer have the bridal suite and there was nothing the hotel could do about that. Others within the bridal party had issues with the booking of their rooms. The reserve bridal suite was far smaller and a squeeze to fit everyone in the morning of the wedding to get ready. The bridesmaids, flower girls, bride, her mother, hair stylists, makeup artist and photographers were falling over each other at times (at times totalling 18 people) which slightly lessoned the ‘special experience'. There was a small table set up with drinks on the lawn following the outdoor ceremony, the barman didn't hang around long and I had to disappear to find a member of staff to retrieve a bottle opener so guests could actually drink the beers left within the ice bucket. I had to ask several times to receive a glass of wine for the sit down meal, whilst others had been served. Note to staff when serving 'champagne' to guests for the toasts, you probably should not ask guests if they would like champagne from a bottle very clearly marked prosecco, as petty as this is, they're not the same. My room wasn't the cleanest, I did tell the lady on reception when checking out that the ceiling in the bathroom, especially over the shower was thick full of long cobwebs. The vanity stool in the bedroom needs replacing, very badly stained and had a chunk missing on the top. I didn't get very much sleep as even with the bedroom window closed all you could hear in my room was the loud sound of an industrial unit directly outside my window.. Recommend booking with booking.com rather than directly through the Kenwick. Saved £30 even with the wedding party discount already applied. Hotel couldn't match the price.

We stay for one night on our way up to North Yorkshire. The room and ensuite bathroom were both very spacious and were decorated to a high standard without spoiling the lovely feel of the older building. The breakfast was plentiful and very tasty.

Regular visitors. Outside jacuzzi not fully functional and dirty. Temperature reduced on indoor jacuzzi too. Steam in steam room appears infrequently and the rest of the time just a warm room. Door hinges filthy. Wall under seating filthy. Soap dispensers in showers keep falling apart. Vents in changing room encrusted in a crystalline substance that can't be good for you. Female costume spinner broken for several days. Hole in floor of gym near the benches that is dangerous. Lack of staff other than on reception and cafe. Appears it is running itself down!

Stayed 2 nights for a 3 day golf trip. Had a great deal for Dinner, B&B. Enjoyed the Buffet Breakfast, good choice for Full English or Continental. 3 course Dinner was excellent, and service was good at all times. Played the Hotel Golf Course on Day 1,then played Louth GC on Day2, and Market Rasen GC on Day3. Would recommend all 3 courses to return any time.

I stayed down here last week the night before a track day at Cadwell Park. Room was good, nice and warm and the bed was the most comfortable that I've ever stayed in. I only wish I could of arrived a bit earlier and spent some time in the spa. Unfortunately I didn't get there until 8 so it was shower food and bed for me. The breakfast on the morning was a self service one with plenty selection and a nice view of the grounds from my table. I will be back soon.

second visit to the Kenwik Park hotel, this year we stayed in a lodge which was very nice, my suggestion is stay in the hotel if you are planning to go in to Louth by taxi in the evening, as nearer and cheaper, Hotel was as good as last year with friendly staff, but the food was not as good, still good but last year was better

Stayed only one night due to a family funeral in Louth. Only a couple of miles from the town center in its own grounds, the hotel is an old country house with plenty of parking. After a very emotional day we arrived quite late and very tired! Reception was friendly and quick. We had a family room with double and single bed, it was a large room overlooking the garden and had plenty of space for three people. The bed was so comfortable, the room and bathroom were very clean. It's not a modern hotel and some of the decor was quite dated. The bathroom, again was rather dated but definitely adequate. Breakfast next morning was buffet and had plenty of choice. All in all a very pleasant, comfortable stay. Would certainly recommend.

We have stayed at this hotel several times and its always been lovely. However, we were unfortunate enough to be booked into a room which had a very uncomfortable bed...we hardly slept. The breakfast has always been delicious but on this occasion it was of a far lower standard. A shame as we have always recommended the breakfast to our friends.We intend to book again and hope the standard will be better next time.

Stayed whilst racing at Cadwell Park and it's a great location was for the circuit. The food was good but not great, but there prices were not expensive so that was ok. The service throughout was generally very good, but they just seemed so under staffed. I had the same guy book me in at reception, serve me drinks in the restaurant then replace my bulb in the bathroom (which took a while) can't fault him his service and approach never waned but it just all seemed to run on a shoe string which I think impacted the whole experience, It didn't feel like the staff had the time to really look after you. I'd go back though....
