    « Great stay »

This was our second stay at this property - the first was several years ago and we had forgotten how great it is. We usually stay at the D Sands and love it there, but now we may be coming back to Best Western. We booked two rooms for a large family trip and only stayed one night the weekend after Thanksgiving. The front desk was kind enough to give us two rooms next to each other, which was fantastic and so convenient. We arrived a little before check in, but accessing our room was no problem. The room and views were fantastic. The breakfast in the morning was basic but fresh and tasty. The staff was very friendly, especially housekeeping. The access to the ocean from the property was very convenient and the location was outstanding. Clean rooms perfect for families with a full bedroom and bath at the back of the suite, and a murphy bed and bath at the front of the suite - the kids loved having their own room and bathroom. Kitchen was well stocked and convenient. We would definitely stay at this property again. Also, my parents who usually stay at the hotel connected to the casino loved this property and have decided that it is there new Lincoln City hotel!!

    « BEST TRIP EVER »

My husband, 12 year old daughter and I just returned and we LOVED this hotel. It is RIGHT on the beach with beach access from the property. We stayed on the first floor and walked right out the sliding glass door to the ocean. You can hear the waves ALL NIGHT. We WILL stay here again!!

One of my favorites for staying in Lincoln City. Love the view, room set up with kitchen and balcony. Works great having an elevator since I have a bad back and like the top floor. Breakfast is always good.

Best Western Plus Lincoln Sands Oceanfront Suites was great. We arrived without a reservation, yet we were treated as if we were gold card members. Staff was great. Breakfast was fantastic. Room was clean and the view of the Ocean was killer. We actually decided to stay an extra night because of our experience. Thanks a bunch

« Best Western Plus Lincoln Sands »

This is a wonderful hotel on the Oregon Coast. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The suites are spacious and well furnished. The view of the Pacific Ocean was spectacular from our room. There's a nice sized balcony where you may watch the sunset and feel the positive ions on your skin. Lincoln City is home to many nice restaurants, including Puerto Vallarta and Mo's. Mo's has the best oyster stew on the West Coast.

    « Exceptional Value »

I was very pleased with this property. For the price, I feel I could not do better . . . our room had 2 bedrooms, baths and TVs in each. A kitchen and living area were additional bonuses. There was a wonderful view of the ocean from the back sliding glass door that included direct access to the beach. Highly recommend staying here.

« Great place to enjoy Ocean View »

Love the location to the beach and good dining. Large spacious rooms, some are dated, but still clean. Excellent staff and very good parking. The breakfast is complete (waffles...woohoo) although fruit can sometimes be wimpy. All in all, we keep coming back.

« Very nice place to stay on Oregon coast »

This was our first time staying at the Lincoln Sands and we were not disappointed. The room was spacious and looked like it had been recently updated. We felt as though we were under-using our room since it was large enough to accommodate a family rather than just the two of us. The room had two bathrooms, and a separate bedroom. The main area had a nice kitchen and a murphy queen bed along with a double hide-a-bed. We were on the first floor which still had an ocean view. The rooms on upper floors would have better views but ours was fine and would allow you to go right out onto the beach from the room. The breakfast was included which is not a common occurrence on the Oregon coast. It was very good in the Best Western tradition. The location is right on the beach, away from the main road, and in the center of Lincoln City so there are many good places to eat a short drive away. My only complaint was that we would have preferred a King sized bed. The man at the desk told us that the king rooms were set up honeymoon suite style and that was the reason they were quite a bit more expensive. We didn't look at them so I don't know anything about them. Over all, we were very happy with our stay and might bring our family next time.

« Will stay here for all trips. »

Great location, walk right out to the beach from our room. Love this place, we will stay here every time we come back to the coast. Clean and friendly. The outside pool is warm to swim in. Beds were comfortable and we slept great.

    « Perfect Getaway Spot »

Corner suite second floor. Spent one afternoon taking pics/videos of spectacular waves. Can see the beach from bed and with the sliding glass door open and the gas fire going very cozy. One minute walk down a path on a slight incline through the dune grass to the beach which is great for walking. Hotel is nice with nice staff. Will definitely return.

    « Keep it a Secret! »

This hotel is the best on the coast. It is not perfect....as some of the other reviews say, but find me a perfect hotel with a great hot breakfast and the beach a few steps away. Easiest access to the beach in Lincoln City, no stairs to climb. Great views from any room. Helpful, pleasant staff. It is quiet, the rooms are nice. You have a full kitchen if you want to cook in your room. I've stayed at others on the beach in Lincoln City, and they are a joke compared to this hotel. We will stay here again and again.

« great price directly on the beach »

loved the location and price for being directly on the beach. Staff was helpful and friendly. situated for various days trips around the coast, north or south. Easy access to Portland. And breakfast is included, always a plus!

    5
    « Never Dissappointed »

We stay at this location often, love the suites, comfy and cozy and you are just steps away from the most beautiful beach in Oregon. This Best Western is also central to every where we like to go such as DePoe Bay for the whale watching or Chinook winds for Bingo (nope we did not win this time).

    5
    « Enjoyable »

We enjoyed our stay. Beautiful, quiet room. Comfortable bed. Had a view of the ocean but not the beach due to the tall beach grass. The beach had ease of access from our room. The breakfast was borderline. The biscuits ( biscuits and gravy) were hard on the bottom. The orange juice was watered down. Otherwise it was ok.

    « Review Best Western »

Very nice hotel on the beach. Pricey at 250 a night. Staff super friendly, spacious rooms with balconies overlooking the ocean. Pool, hot tub and sauna. Breakfast is good, not the standard "continental" affair. No Pets is only complaint

« It was nice, BUT could have been better! »

Super location, right on the beach! Great view of sunsets! However...Our suite, master bedroom and murphy bed, with hide-a-bed, had a few problems that told us that the property isn't being cared for as most our properties that with have visited. Light bulbs out, one of two bathrooms dirty upon arrival and a bedroom door that kept wanting to close part way. The breakfast area (nook) really needs to be larger, but, I don't know how it can be done.

    4
    « Ocean View »

Ocean view was excellent, would be nice to have some cover even an umbrella for hot tub. Internet was hard to get on. Smoking area was right at parking lot area if you wanted to use stairs. Nice trail to beach

    5
    « Perfect view »

I stayed at week, it was perfect. The room is huge. Only noise is the ocean. Hot tub and pool area is nice. Staff is helpful. Breakfast was nice, only thing is if you get there close after 930 biscuits are hard and sausage was burnt. But otherwise it was a very good stay. My new choice for my stays in Lincoln City.

    4
« Right on the beach »

Unfortunately we did not book this hotel in advance, consequently when we arrived laste in the afternoon, our room selection was between a non-view and a loft suite. Strongly suggest that if you know where you will be for the evening, that you book in advance. As we didn't, this was the most expensive room we had during our 10 day trip. It is close to, but away from the highway, so nice and quite, and the views were as good as it gets. While staff was friendly, they were not very helpful with suggestions, or directions. Breakfast was included, but was not as good as some of the other BW's we stayed at.

« Usually our "Go To" place in Lincoln City »

Usually we have a very good or excellent review of this property, but a little disappointing this time. Property is showing its age, especially on the inside. There were a couple of issues housekeeping needs to pay attention to and the Queen/Queen Bedroom Suite needed a little maintenance to its furniture. This hotel is where we usually stay when in Lincoln City. Their prices are reasonable for the quality of their suites and it has excellent beachfront access and views. Our stay was a comfortable one and the staff did their best to accommodate the guests as we navigated around the renovations going on to their lobby and breakfast area. We have never had a bad stay here and will continue to book this BW Plus property when we are in the Lincoln City/Depot Bay area of the Oregon coast.

« Vacation - from Jasper, Alberta to the Oregon Coast »

We can ALWAYS depend on Best Western and this one offers comfort, and a marvelous view of the Ocean... We have stayed here several times and will stay again. Nothing like the Ocean to calm and relax us..

    « Terrific location »

We stayed there during the fall Kite Festival. WE not only could see the kites from our balcony room we could walk to the event easily. WE asked for two double beds. One was a regular bed in it's own room with bathroom the other was a Murphy bed in the living room area. Now saying that I have to admit that was the most comfortable Murphy bed I have ever had. The mattress was so thick and plush it did not feel like a Murphy bed. Nice little kitchen setup. Nice large balcony overlooking a great section of beach. They served a good breakfast downstairs and it's easy walking to a great restaurant down the street. Would stay there again no hesitation.

« A wee bit of the 101 but sits right on the beach. »

This facility is truly a suite hotel, the rooms have a full kitchen, an ocean side living room and a nice bedroom. The room had 2 full bathrooms. We requested the top floor to minimize the noise from above. The real GEM was Ashton who was at the front desk. She was very personable and most friendly and helpful. Although Ashton had not worked there very long, she is a major asset to the facility.

    4
    « Location, location, location »

The location of this hotel right on a beautiful strip of beach is ideal and was the primary reason we selected this property. We found the bed to be very comfortable, the room was clean and the kitchen well stocked. The partial room upgrades they've done are very nice, however, the furniture is old and the sofa was really uncomfortable (and stained). Breakfast was very good but the dining area was cramped and difficult to navigate. I'd recommend a second or third floor room as the views of the ocean are excellent. Overall, we were very pleased.

    3
    « room review »

Fan in bedroom was loose from ceiling and was too loud. Couch needed cleaning or should be replaced. Coffee table had scratches and needs replaced. The room cleanliness was good overall. We felt for what we paid, we should have got more for our money. The breakfast was really good.

    4
    « Ocean Front View »

The motel is right square front facing the beach and the waves. You can't get any closer. Very nice walking stretch of sandy beach for miles to the north and miles to the south. The room was very spacious, and two TV's (living room and bedroom) for those couples who can't agree! We enjoyed our stay.

    4
« Beautiful beach just behind »

Nothing to complain about with the hotel! Great suite rooms with an amazing view. Easy access to walk down to the beach. Breakfast was good! If you are using Best Western points for reservations make sure you don't book through this hotel directly. We had some major miscommunication with a desk worker there that ruined our first day here. We had gift cards to use it and points to stay for free... When we booked on the phone they said we could use both. When we got there they changed their story.

    « Coastal fav:) »

Whenever possible we stay at the BW LINCOLN SANDS. The location, the views and the staff are unbeatable. They have many nice amenities and the hot breakfast is one. The boys love to make their own waffles and they really enjoy the sUsages and bisquits and gravey. My dàughter and I enjoy swimming with the boys and hanging out on the beach which is literally astones throw from Our lani. When my mom was alive she and I would go to the Lincoln Sands because of the great lanis and elevator access. Mom was on oxygen and could no longer walk stairs or walk on the beach. The BW offers BEAUTIFUL VIEWS right from your balcony. The staff is exemplary and has always gone the extra mile when we have been there. We definitely recommend this property to all our friends and will continue to stay there when in Lincoln City.

« Loved being able to sit on the balcony enjoying the sea view and listening to the pounding waves. »

a big comfy suite that included a kitchen which we did not use. Loved being able to start the fireplace and watch tv at night. An easy walk down to the beach. Nice breakfast our on the patio and friendly staff.

« Made our anniversary so special! »

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel! The customer service was amazing - I am a manager at another Best Western in Oregon, and I was blown away by the friendliness and helpful demeanor of all of the staff, from front desk to housekeeping. On busy Memorial Day Weekend, when everyone floods the coasts, they were still able to get us into our room TWO HOURS EARLY. Unheard of, and absolutely fantastic! I'm sure they can't do early check in for everyone every time, but this time it made all the difference in the world! Thank you so much, Patty! My boyfriend and I stayed here for our anniversary, in a King Jacuzzi Suite, room 122. The room was absolutely gorgeous - Jacuzzi in the bedroom, and in view of the ocean. The fireplace was very nice, puts out quite a bit of heat! Full kitchen, with some essential cooking utensils, silverware, and dishes. Just enough for what we needed. The room was so clean and fresh when we got there. (also, in the shower, the showerhead is fantastic. I'm a sucker for a good shower!) The view from the room is absolutely stunning! I wish I had taken pictures of the room to post on here, I cannot express how stunning the room and view were. Next time, however, I do think we will stay on the 2nd or 3rd floor- if we wanted to enjoy the view the curtains had to be open of course, but that also meant everyone passing by to the beach would stop and look into our room. And a lot of folks liked to loiter on our patio.... not so nice of them. Nothing the hotel could have done about this though. Breakfast! So, SO yummy!!! They have a waffle maker and amazing toppings for them, as well as yogurt, eggs, sausage, bacon, coffee, juice, and much more that I didn't get to try! Front desk agent Patty checked us in, and was very patient as we dealt with our bank (who we forgot to notify that we were travelling... oops...), and was very kind as I chatted her ear off! The housekeeper who helped me with more towels, Leanne, was very friendly! Ashton, the evening front desk attendant, was very friendly as well, and was very informative. I also saw that the General Manager (I can't remember his name, so sorry!) liked to be present - it was nice to see that he was attentive to the needs of the guests in such a noticeable way. I know managers get busy and it isn't always easy to be able to sit at the desk and make sure your guests are taken care of. I hope that all of these employees can get special recognition for their hard work. We will absolutely be staying at this hotel again, in fact we booked our stay for my birthday as we checked out! Again, I cannot say enough about this hotel and the amazing time we had. Thank you again to all of you who work hard here for making our anniversary so special!!!

« Wonderful sunset and ocean waves »

The motel has large suites with separate bedroom, but bedroom window faces corridor with bright light. It has a Murphy Bed and fold-out sofa. Perfect for families staying multiple days at beach. It is right on beach?we enjoyed watching/photographing a sunset with the waves rolling in from our deck.

    3
    « Nice Location »

Although the property is on the beach and had really large rooms there are things that I think need some attention to bring it up to the "Plus" standard. The gal at check-in although not rude was certainly not friendly and needs a happy pill. The bed in my room was really lumpy and soft and gave me a backache. Need a new firmer mattress. The Bathroom: It is good size with granite type counter tops and granite type shower walls with ledges for soap and shampoo. The water drains really slow in the sink. The hairdryer was gross with greasy slim all over the handle. There is a pool and and jacuzzi. There is a standard BW breakfast which had waffles, eggs, sausage, cereals, breads, juices. On each side of the property there is a path to the beach. Not about hotel but the entire area: Be aware of travel in this area and no cell service. I have an ATT smartphone and 80+ % of the area from Portland to the coast and driving down the coast on the major roads you have NO cell service. That is really surprising and frustrating because I can't use Google maps or Trip Advisor apps while I am looking for things to see and do.

    « 3rd stay »

We tried the 2nd floor this time. It was a nice room with a jacuzzi which was nice, but be aware it's in the livingroom. Very clean, quite & wonderful staff. Wish the breakfast there was better & there are way too many tables in the dining room.

    5
    « 4th stay »

We decided to try the 3rd floor this time & although we were right outside the elevator I didn't hear anything but the waves crashing on the beach. Room & staff were awesome as for breakfast, skip it & go in town to buy one.

    « Road tripping »

This property was awesome! Spent two nights while traveling down Hwy 101 from Washington to Crescent City, California. One bedroom and bathroom for my elderly mother and I took the Queen size Murphy bed in the living room. Beach and waves were practically at your door step. Huge balcony with four chairs and an end table. Picture window and slider to balcony. Full kitchen with a dining table and four chairs. The furniture was pretty low key... Like your college dorm pad, but who cares? It was functional. Beds comfortable and with two bathrooms, another super plus! The nightly room charges were the same as what I paid at the BW in Seaside. Amazeballs! Actually contemplated extending our stay another night and forego seeing the Redwoods, but that is another review to do. Happy trails.

    « Relaxing stay »

My husband and I checked into Best Western in Lincoln for a one night stay. We were so happy with our room. It overlooked the ocean, with a nice balcony to sit and take in the view. The room was a two room suite. We both felt so at home we could have stayed a week. We left the sliding door open all night, the sound of the ocean was mesmerizing. The suite had a full kitchen and two bathrooms. Two TV's. The only bad thing about it, was leaving.

    3
« location and space excellent but not very clean »

We had a great room but the carpet hadn't been vacuumed and the towels hadn't been checked for cleanliness. They had hair on them from prior occupants but on the rack as had not been used. Great pool, sauna spa. Staff to busy to come up and fix TV in living room.

« Wonder suite hotel with spectacular view »

We have been coming to this hotel for years. It first started as a family destination when I was a kid and Grandfather would take entire family there for summer. We paused for awhile when grandparents passed but Dad started it up again. The staff is great at trying to accommodate your needs. I love that they include breakfast in the morning and have worked on updating the rooms. The granite in the rooms is beautiful as well as the updated linens. The pool and hot tub are great for kids and parents to relax in. The suites are great especially to two top floor loft suites. It is wonderful having a kitchenette for when you want to just stay in and take in the scenery. It is also pretty centrally located within town as well. Only really complaint is the lack of or randomness of dishes in the rooms with kitchenettes. Although that isn't really a reason not to stay here. I can't wait to stay here next summer to see what improvements have been made.

    5
    « Ocean view!! »

Beautiful room. The murphy bed was co comfortable and allowed for ocean front sounds and views. We loved all the amenities. Also liked the 2 bathrooms and the one off the queen size bed was handicapped friendly.

    « Vacation »

ADA room was great! Beach access great! Clean, well taken care of location. Breakfast was good, but a change from Biscuits and gravy everyday would have been nice, but I understand they are limited. They did have many options for breakfast which was nice.

    « Oceanfront motel »

This is one of many beachfront motels in an overbuilt motel row. It has a pool and direct beach access. We had a beachfront room which was the main arttraction. Otherwise it is a well worn older motel tha Ned's updating and maintenance.

    « Vacation!!! »

Rooms were very nice and clean, our beds were nice and soft , and the kitchens were supplied for some light cooking, baths were nice and big ,it was right on the beach, family was here from the Arkansas never seen the ocean, they loved the convenience of the rooms , we were central to restaurants, and shopping it was nice!!

    4
« decent hotel, too expensive »

The rooms have great views and access to the beach, but overall still overpriced. Will only stay there again if they are having a special of some sort. Would be a nice place if traveling with a large family or group.

    5
    « Outstanding »

Wonderful get away with great amenities, free breakfast and excellent views of the beach and ocean...Quick access to the Beach and good sized rooms. Showers were large and the hotel overall was very clean and clear. Check in and Out was super fast and all my extra requests were granted...Great Place for the family or just a romantic get away

    4
    « Nice location, but... »

Location is perfect! Room was not ready, though until an hour after guaranteed time. Paid for most expensive room. Can't beat the view! Was clean on the surface, but windows/window frames were disgusting, hindering the beautiful view of the ocean. They would do well to deep clean these very soon, and make sure they have enough housekeeping staff during the busy season so they can honor their guaranteed check-in time.

    5
    « Family trip »

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The beachfront access and the beautiful view of the ocean were delightful. The perfect way to spend a vacation. The room is perfect for 4 people with the separate bedroom and two full bathrooms. This is a great place to take the kids.

    4
    « Reasonable Hotel »

We loved the spaciousness of the room and the balcony, and the fact that our room had TWO bathrooms - awesome when traveling with kids. It was cold and windy when we were there, but surprisingly the outdoor heated pool and spa were plenty warm enough for swimming. Tip: Bring warm clothing for walking on the beach. It is cold and windy there. Also, double-check the refrigerator with your own refrigerator thermometer. We lost $50.00 worth of food because the refrigerator wasn't cooling properly.

    5
« Best place to stay »

We really enjoyed our stay at the Lincoln Sands. Everything from the cleanliness of the rooms to the breakfast in the morning and of course the easy access to the beach were outstanding! We will definitely be staying there again.

« Fantastic location, splendid WiFi »

Truly on the beach, you don't get closer than this, unless you bring a tent. I recommend the third floor for the best view - large elevator works well for all those bags upon arrival. Use the stairs for the rest of the trip - good for that step-count. Situated just a few hundred yards north of where pretty Devils Lake pours into the ocean, on the northern part of the ever-growing Lincoln City, two miles south of the Chinook Winds casino, one mile north of one of the better and larger outlet malls on the coast. No road noise, only noise is that of the ocean, carried by the persistent NW winds. Reception and Service staff impressed us - friendlier than most and knowledgeable to direct. As per Maslow's amended hierarchy, WiFi was superb, 5 stars guys! Worth the choice right there, even though my daughter thinks I'm too old for Pokemon-Go. Our 1B unit seemed large, newly renovated, had a new, comfy, Murphy bed that didn't make those awful noises many do, smallish but modern LG TV, a non-blue-ray DVD, aircon, and kitchenette with a large fridge and tiny microwave just big enough for a bag of popcorn with your non-blue-ray movie from Redbox by McDonald's. Please a few hooks or rail for those kitchen towels, and while you're at it, replace the cutlery with something from this decade. Anything. And maybe a non-single-serve coffee maker. Those are for single business travelers in the city. Seating was below par, with only a single couch for two, not counting the 4 padded dining chairs. What up, guys - Family Unit, where do adults sit? On the balcony, of course, with a book or a mag, not a device. Master BR had its own separate shower and everything you need. The main bathroom smaller, newish, shower in the bath actually works ok. Plenty storage - large closet in main area and bedroom. Regarding the included breakfast, let's just say I recommend the Pig 'n Pancake 2 miles up the road next to the aforementioned McDonald's. It's available for families that need the obligatory waffles and bacon strips, biscuits n gravy. Not to mention the fancy coffee machine, delivering on par with my last Denny's-on-the-road. The outside pool near the entrance looked clean and well kept, mostly saw kids in the pool and adults in the jacuzzi. Global warming has finally made it to the OR coast so we lucked out with a week of splendid weather, albeit windy frequently as expected. Looks like a nice retirement spot - noticed quite a few of those gated villages springing up further south and on the way to Depoe Bay (don't miss that one, my spell-checker certainly didn't want to). Meanwhile, back to work!

    « great views & location...not so great beds & breakfast. »

We had a spacious suite with a full kitchen and great views/access to the beach which was awesome since we were traveling with kids and grandparents. The first night we opened the doors & windows, looking forward to the ocean breeze only to smell smoke. Apparently people like to have campfires on the beach and it was so bad that we couldn't have any of the windows open as my kids have asthma. Then we discovered that there was air conditioning in the main living area but, not the private bedroom we were sleeping in and not being able to open the windows (because of the smoke) this made for an unpleasant first night. The queen bed was extremely uncomfortable and that didn't help. Also, the walls are super thin and we could hear everything in the hall and could even hear the shower and toilet flushing from the room above us. The pool and hot tub were great, although they don't stay open very late. The hot breakfast was nothing special...typical hotel free breakfast...tasteless eggs, but, we had a kitchen and were able to make our own meals. I don't typically stay at best westerns because they often have uncomfortable beds, but, thought I'd give them another try because of the location. Don't think I'll be staying in Best Western hotels in the future though.

« Cozy large updated room, great ocean view »

It is unlike other Best Western we have stayed before. Large room, good enough for two family to stay. Ocean looking patio is spacious and our little girl enjoyed a reading at the patio. Breakfast room was small but was ok. Front desk was very helpful and good energy as well. Good for long stay. We used laundry service which worked quite well.

    « Great hotel-dissappointing experience this time. »

This is a wonderful property, right on the ocean, beautiful big balcony, lots and lots of room, bathrooms, bedrooms, big kitchen. This was our second 5 night stay at this property, our first experience was so awesome we had to go back and get the same room!! We were travelling with our 4 grandchildren and it was everything we needed. Our disappointment this trip was the housekeeping staff. Cleanliness of the cupboards and dishes provided, lack of attention to amenities that should have been provided daily, like coffee, dish towels, drinking glasses in the bathrooms and one day the room was even done - nothing. Front desk staff were awesome and we feel provided us with an explanation that was satisfactory to us. Breakfast was great-pool was fun for the grandkids and we wouldn't hesitate to go back for a third week!!

    « Location, location, vacation »

This hotel is in a prime spot in Lincoln City. Beachfront location, heated pool, hot tub and sauna. Our second floor suite was comfortable with a roomy deck overlooking perpetual surf, sun and breeze??. Sunsets were gorgeous. We'll be back!

« Hotel is decent, but......... »

...........Just be aware the staff forgets to mention important details pertaining to your stay, and will misinform you (even when you ask them very specific questions). Also, if you mention they made an error in communicating the hotel's policies to you (even if done politely, initially), they may react defensively, becoming argumentative, and hostile, in a passive-aggressive manner. I stay at Best Westerns regularly, and I am a "Diamond Member". This particular Best Western's staff is NOT up to par, when compared to other franchises within the Best Western chain. If customer service is extremely important to you, as a guest, I would advise against staying at this hotel. If you want a decent room, on the ocean's beach, and you are able to overlook a staff which can be, at times, dismissive, argumentative, and condescending, then it is a viable option.

    « Waterfront location »

LOCATION and VIEW!! Those are the positives...step out your door and you are on the beach. Plenty of space in the room (suite) but bedroom is a the rear with no AC. Room was advertised with two queens but the second bed is a Murphy bed in the front. Two bathrooms good for families. Swimming pool looked ok for kids. For a couple the space is a bit of overkill. Bed and sofa are most uncomfortable. Outside hallway need cleaning...Very small lobby. Staff very friendly. Breakfast is adequate BW quality. This obviously and old property that BW has made an attempt of update. If you are looking for something that is somewhat upscale, the Lincoln Sands is not it.

    « On the beach »

Location is great, all rooms are suites, our room was on ground level, beware, we asked for 2 queen but there is only one queen in bedroom, the other is a murphy bed. We only stayed one night , so we did not use the kitchen at all. My only complaint is, the windows do not open and the patio door has no screen, can"t really hear the ocean.

    5
    « INCREDIBLE »

This was our favorite place we stayed in the entire trip from Northern California to Washington! The room and view were incredible! This much space AND along the ocean with a view was amazing for the price! The room was impressively clean and everything was in complete working order. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was terrific!

    « Travelers Beware »

Upon arrival I asked the manager to check my Best Western Rewards points to see if my recent stays in other Best Westerns along the way to Oregon had posted so I could use them for my stay here. He checked, they had not, however, advised to check again before checking out and he would honor them as we were staying 3 days. Upon check-out, they DID NOT HONOR my rewards that had posted my account earning me 1 free night stay. Patti was rude and was not going to call the manager even after I explained what he said at check-in. Being a Diamond Elite member was of no significance to her whatsoever!

« Truly a suite right on the beach »

The bed room was not only separate it had a separate entrance door. Kitchen was complete. Two TVs. Very comfortable place. It is a short walk down to the water edge. We had a patio to view the ocean and sunset.

    5
    « Great property »

Wonderful 1 bdrm suites with Murphy bed in living room right on the beach. Lovely private patio overlooking the beach and perfect for watching sunsets. Tidepools located right on the beach for extra fun.

« Summer time family fun »

My husband and I returned to our favorite hotel in Lincoln City. We had another fabulous experience and look forward to returning very soon. Every room is ocean view and perfect for big families. Two room suites are amazing and spacious!

    « Relaxing Coast Stay »

Great location for a few days of relaxing at the coast. Was on the 3rd floor and the views were spectacular from he large balcony! Easy access to the beach for literally miles of walking. As others have noted, the hotel itself is a little dated but was clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly. Hot tub and pool were nice after long walks. Overall a good stay.

    4
    « Oceanfront view »

This was a very pleasant stay. We did not have hotel reservations in Lincoln City, Oregon. So, when we saw the Best Western sign, we decided to choose this motel. The Best Western sign means we can expect a certain standard of service and value, in my opinion. We knew we couldn't go wrong. The room was larger than we expected. In fact, it was a 2 room, 2 bathroom suite with a kitchenette. The continental breakfast was good, although I am not fond of the coffee that was served. I am kind of a coffee snob, anyway. We wanted to go swimming, but just ran out of time because there is so much to do in Lincoln City. A real bonus: We unexpectedly saw a whale from our oceanfront balcony, which was a wonderful surprise!

    2
« The place needs a serious remodel! location is beautiful but hotel needs HELP! »

Rooms desperately need a remodel. Very stinky and old. Beautiful location right on the beach and this place could be really neat and cozy but you can tell they have just done cover up fixes for the last 30 years. It needs an overhaul!!

    5
« walk on the beach »

8th annual trip to honor daughter's not having cancer anymore, excellent as usual. we walk on various beaches, collect agates and sea glass, eat seafood and drink wine. Very relaxing. Love Oregon beaches.

    4
    « The View! »

The hotel is a little outdated, but overall its a great hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful to share ideas on places to go and see within the area. The grounds were well kept and clean. The walk to the beach was short and easy. The view was amazing. Being about to watch the sunset from your room! The pool is outside but it is heated and very warm to swim even in the 60s.

    4
    « Cozy, great location. »

By now, you have probably figured out this hotel is located right on the beach. The views from our second-floor room was great, and having windows all along the back wall definitely helped. The staff was very friendly, Jacuzzi tub in our room was also a very good addition. The fireplace made things cozy, but got our room very hot very fast. Clean, comfortable beds. The full kitchen was nice - though we did not use it a whole lot. One small letdown was the fact that there were no robes in the room - you'd think a jacuzzi tub room would have them. The wifi also stopped working on me the second day we were there - but I didn't care enough to get it fixed. Breakfast buffet was on par with other Best Western Properties I've stayed at. Did not use the pool, but the area was neat, and was cleaned daily by staff. Great place overall.

« Family Fun in Lincoln City »

Comfortable and spacious room with excellent view of the ocean. Decent breakfast buffet, Clean rooms, efficient staff and decent but small pool and hot tub with a nearly perfect temperature. My daughter insists that whenever we come to the beach we stay here!

    5
    « Retirement Celebration »

To celebrate my wife's retirement we decided to take a trip to the Oregon Coast. This was our first time to Lincoln city. We always choose a BW to stay at. This BW did not let us down. We got a 3rd floor suite which was very nice albeit it was a little dated. The kitchen and bathrooms appeared to have been updated. The view of the ocean was spectacular. The free breakfast was standard BW fare. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

    5
    « fabulous!!! »

we had a king room, kitchen suite.. and fireplace...it was huge! a great view of the ocean and only steps to the water! we loved falling asleep to the roar of the waves...we will for sure be back!!! bonus was the kite festival was on...so fun!

« Hotel on the beach! »

I stayed in this hotel recently and thought it was a great place! The room I had was on the first floor and looked out on the ocean with a porch and big picture windows and was more like a suite. Beach access was just down the way. There was a bedroom with shower only bath, a full bathroom, kitchen, eating area, couch and a Murphy bed that pulled down from the wall. There was definitely room for 4 people! It was a little pricey for one person but would be very reasonable for 4 people. A full hot breakfast was included with eggs, biscuits, gravy, bacon, sausage, cold cereal, fruit, a waffle machine and yogurt.

    4
    « Location, Location, Location »

We have attended the Kite Festival for the last 2 years and have stayed in the same room. The location cannot be beat- the walk to the beach is easy for children, the pool is warm and 20 feet away, and Kylos and a Dutch Bros are just down the street. Overall, our experiences here have been nice, with a few minor glitches... don't expect much from the wifi, don't expect the mirrors to be clean, and don't expect there to be both conditioner AND shampoo available in each bathroom... you might have to do some personal advocating to get what you need. Otherwise, this is the place to stay for the Kite Festival!

    3
    « $378 is a bit steep for a night's stay in this hotel ... »

$378 before fees and taxes for one night!? Probably price gouging for the Kite Festival, but way overpriced for what this hotel offers. On the up side the hotel is on the beach, and it appears all rooms have an ocean view. It also has a pool and a hot tub. Make sure you don't get any of the rooms opposite the elevator -- it'll be noisy and people get to look staright into your room unless you keep the curtains closed.

    5
« Great stop on our trip North - kites on beach was a bonus »

Room was great and much better than expected. allowed two males traveling together to each have our own space and our own bathroom. Murphy bed mattress was actually better (less used) than the master. ocean view is awesome - we had 2nd floor. outside temp allowed us to leave the deck door open and sleep to the sound of the ocean.

    5
    « Exceeds expectations! »

Nice to book into a hotel room so much better than expected. Thought I booked a room, got a suite, fully equipped kirchem, dining area lr, 2 full baths, clean comfortable. Great ocean view from 2nd level. I will definitely come back. First picture is view from room. Stong wifi. Breakfast. Yes

    « Lipstick on a pig »

To be fair, they've tried to help this place cosmetically with some upgrades. However, you can put lipstick on a pig, but that don't make it a beauty queen. May have done better just gutting it and starting over. The dust in the room bothered all my family's allergies. Decent pool, very warm for outdoor. Hotel staff wasn't very helpful at check-in. Not a great value for $300 a night. Wouldn't return.

    4
« Great rooms and location »

The rooms were great! All rooms have an ocean view and rooms are very spacious. It was nice to have a full kitchen. Free Breakfast is as good as it gets. The only thing that I prob didn't like was the hot water seemed to run out really fast. Not a big deal as everything else made up for it. Highly recommend, especially if you're going with your family.

    « Lincoln Sands June 2016 »

Nice property with many amenities. We booked a Queen Suite for ADA use. Would recommend King room as Queen bed seemed small to us. Great view, nice pool area and good parking. Close to good restaurants - would recommend Kyllo's down the street. Nice patio area on ground floor and balconies above. Small kitchen is a plus with full refrigerator, range and dishwasher.

    5
    « great views »

We found this property to be one of the best on our coastal Oregon trip. The room was clean and spacious, the staff friendly, and the views spectacular. The sunset was incredible. Should we get back to Oregon, this is a place we would definitely book again.

    3
« Great location and view »

This hotel has a great view and location. The staff was very friendly. They have made topical improvements to their suites as well. I would definitely recommend updating the furniture since the couch and mattress were uncomfortable. The room was bit musky too.

  • 5
    « Great Customer Service »

Very friendly and helpful staff. I accidentally left my swimsuit behind and they mailed it to me within 2 days. The suites are spacious and clean with wonderful views of the ocean and easy beach access. The only downside is that you can hear the people in the other rooms very well.

    « Celebrating our 50th anniversary »

This is our second visit to this property and it was as remembered. Great beachfront location and close to restaurants and shops. Staff was great and the great hot coffee in the dinning room, which is a available 24/7 along with wonderful apples is always a welcome back. The rooms are large and have everything that you might need. Full size appliances in a seperate kitchen..large bathroom, hot tub, fireplace and a large balcony is a great combination and makes or repeat customers!

« Favorite hotel in Lincoln City, Oregon »

We have been returning to the Best Western Plus Lincoln Sands Suites for several years because of its excellent service and wonderful and spacious rooms. Roomy kitchen, cozy fireplace, and the amazing view of the Pacific Ocean.

« Perfect location. Great room. Excellent stay. »

We hadn't stay here for a few years, and now we wonder why. We had a great room. The view was perfect. The sound of the waves could be heard throughout the room. The women I encountered at the front desk throughout the stay were friendly and polite. I LOVED the make-it-yourself waffle station in the complimentary breakfast. This is a fantastic section of the beach. It is far enough from D Sands to be away from the crowds. Wonderful place.

« Old friends and new. »

This was my first time here alone, my husband and I visited frequently, he passed 2014. The staff is warm and welcoming as always. Like visiting home, a hot breakfast is wonderful, waffle toppings like fresh fruit, and whipped cream. . for free! Love the outdoor foot showers, push the knob and soft spray not a faucet stream of water, a shower. The rock area for smokers is unobtrusive, calm. Pool and spa, beautiful under the stars. Took advantage of the gentle slope to the beach. Overall it was a wonderful to be so catered to. I'm sure I' I'll be back soon.

    5
« Fantastic Room, view and beach access »

Right on the water with beautiful views and great beach access- the room was clean and it was perfect- like a one bedroom condo! Loved having the two bathrooms and for our family of four the murphy bed was perfect! Would definitely stay here again- and recommend to friends!

    5
    « Location Location Location »

I booked this hotel without actually looking into where it was located, but you could not ask for a better spot. Whether you want to walk to the beach, or do a short drive to the outlet mall or downtown shops, it is the perfect central location. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, and amenities such as the small kitchen were nice. If we would have known this we would have brought our own food to prepare and cook. Free breakfast is always a plus. I would stay here again

« Best beach trip ever! »

I had the best time ever! My husband and I are planning to return at least once a month! Beach access and the view was breathtaking... I would recommend to any and all. Each room has the same view ... First floor beach access. The breakfast was amazing great chocolate chip waffles!!

    « All around wonderful! »

We loved everything! The breakfast (mini waffles!!), the room (2 bathrooms!!), the pool and hot tub, beach access, and the incredible views! Towels were wonderful (super thick), beds were comfortable, new pillows needed! We will be back!!!

    « Nice breakfast »

Pleasantly surprised by the large rooms. Nice staff, and nicer than most the free breakfasts we have seen. Will go back. The views were fabulous from our room.you can access the ocean and walk for miles. Also great restaurants nearby.

« It is a very good place to stay we will be back »

My wife and I stayed in room 122 what a great room it has everything you need to relax. Go out the back door walk about 40 feet and your on the beach. We will be back on and the bed was the best I slept on in a hotel.

« great view and staff »

WE stayed fro 3 nights and it was wondeful. The ocean front view was wondeful. We had access down the short path to the beach and walked the beach with other beachcombers. The rrom was clean and decorated beautifully. It was an end room and we had the in suite jacuzzi. The onyl down fall was the elevator. We had to have the staff operate it as it had an problem with the power. But they were very accomading to drop everything and have the elevator ready by the time we walked to the elevator. The staff was very friendly and answered all our questions or concerns. We will be back.

    « Perfect getaway! »

The room was great. Third floor room with two bathrooms, private bedroom and murphy bed in living room. Full kitchen setup (dishwasher, fridge, oven/stovetop), and generous dining table. Balcony generous with great ocean view and short walk to the beach. Breakfast was hot as promised and met expectations. Property is well-maintained. Kiddo enjoyed using the pool and having the privacy of not having to sleep in the same room as the parents. We were so comfortable in the room that we did not want to mess with going out to dinner and took advantage of the kitchen setup! It is a great setup for a family with kid(s) that are old enough for a little more privacy and independence and parents that want a little more privacy without being in a separate hotel room.

    « Mother-in-law trip »

We had my mother-in-law with us, and enjoyed the view of the ocean and Beach. The hotel staff recommended a wonderful restaurant for dinner! Breakfast was good and the staff was very friendly, would recommend to everyone!

« Relaxing, beautiful view, great breakfast, clean and GReAT! »

My husband and I have been staying at the Lincoln Sands Best Western for many years now. We love the beautiful view and the amenities that are there. It's our little getaway place in lieu of having our own property at the beach. It's also roomy enough for our family to join us as well. We usually have one meal at a restaurant around the area and the rest we bring with us. We've cooked soup, made salads, had shrimp cocktails and wine, and just enjoyed the wonderful sound of the sea!

    5
    « AMAZING »

We'd never stayed here before, but I see a winter storm watching weekend in our future. I expected a nice room with a view, but this is so much more. A king size bed, a loveseat, fireplace, large flat screen tv, a whirlpool tub in the main room, and then there's the walk-in shower, the full kitchen and the storage. You could move in here and stay forever. The staff were extremely helpful and nice. All the rooms face out on the ocean!

    4
« Pretty good. Excellent views. »

15' wide apartment. Supposed to be a former condo converted to hotel use. An odd mixture of costly marble surfaces and cheapo creaking flooring. Main bed is a fold-down "Murphy" style, made up nicely. Back bedroom has its own bath. Sleepers there can wave and say good morning to passersby looking inside. Otherwise, use blackout curtains. Clean linens and towels, adequate basic toiletries. Full kitchen with typically noisy refrigerator; turned it off. Old-style cheapo single-cup drip coffee maker. "Creamer" offered is typical toxic waste of corn syrup solids, casein, and aluminum-contaminated anticaking agent. Hey, Best Western: ever hear of Mini-Moos and Keurig or Nespresso? ??One of the best-ever beach views. No, really. Six-deep turbulent cascades, brilliant white against restless dark-teal waters. Incessant crashing surf and muted roar of tumbledown waves. High-water mark at most 80 paces seaward. No fireplace. Friendly seagulls visit, doubtless hoping that one is inclined to ignore the DO NOT FEED THE SEAGULLS placard on the balcony railing. No beach access (roped off and blackberry brambles encouraged to grow) for erosion control; so, walk 3 minutes south and cut to a path, no biggie. Beach foliage thankfully gorse- and scotch broom-free. Small swimming pool and spa; didn't use. Two large flatscreens with DVD players; with a view like that, who watches vids? Included breakfast off lobby actually pretty good. Eggs, bacon, sausage, pale biscuits and lumpy Gravy of Mystery, fresh mixed cut fruit, cold cereal, toastable breads, milk, yogurt, almond milk (not unsweetened, tho), Waffles & juice, so-so coffee etc. but at least there's half and half.

If you've never stayed in one of the Best Western Plus all suites properties, you're in for a treat. At the Lincoln Sands Suites we had a 3rd floor room looking directly at the Oregon sea coast unimpeded. Outstanding sunsets, outstanding suite, outstanding everything. Wow. We're impressed.

    « Great View »

We loved this facility for its ocean view and easy access to the beach. The breakfast was par for Best Western fare. We downgraded it one star for mold in the window tracks, poor lighting in the master bathroom and bedroom, and cooking utensils threat were not clean, especially the blender.

« Slow down after a family weekend!!!! »

We had just spent a weekend at the Sandy OR Best Western in order to attend my daughters house warming party. The party was a huge success however it there were a lot of children!!!! They were in and out of house and we wee DONE!!!! So we were happy that we had booked a night for our needed dose of sea air and crashing ocean!!! It was very pleasant to have a kitchen and the BBQ downstairs!!! So we had wonderful steak with shrimp, steamed veges, & garlic bread. We enjoyed a wonderful bottle of wine also!! After that lovely dinner we enjoyed a lovely soak in the Jacuzzi tub. The next morning we had left over steak, with bagels and fresh fruit, oj and hot coffee!!!! We love this place!!!!

    « A View 2 View »

Our room was very roomy & very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We never had the breakfast since we like to sleep in. Comfy beds & great linens. We do recommend staying here. If other guests would be more courteous when shutting their doors, it would be great. That's not the hotel's fault. Better & bigger coffee makers would be ideal. We will return. Other then hearing the news of Prince's death, our stay was great.

« Ocean view is great! »

We spent one night here, would have stayed longer if our schedule would have allowed. The room was huge, full kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and a large deck with awesome ocean view. Easy access to the beach which is just what I wanted. The room was clean and everyone was very friendly. We were here during spring break so check in was later than we wanted. Next time I would request an early check-in. I would stay here again.

« Great Spot to Stay »

I stayed here one night with my wife and children during a vacation on the Oregon Coast. Not much to say, (which is a good thing for hotels usually), except that this is a great spot, nice motel, with easy access to the beach (Beach access from the hotel is not ADA accessible, that I could see, (which is not a fault of the hotel of course). If you need a wide path to the beach, you might have to go down the road a ways. It is a typical Best Western Hotel, although Best Western Hotels can very widely in quality and cleanliness. I would rate this hotel as one of the better Best Western Hotels. The rooms have a private beachfront balcony with screen door. The suites are really nice for families, etc. These are NOT "luxury" suites, or anything like that, so don't expect 5 star amenities, etc. Parking is a little tight, and if you are pulling a trailer of any kind, you might have a little difficulty. Typical hotel breakfast area in the morning with processed eggs, meats, pancakes and the usual hotel fare. I would stay here again for sure.

« Right on the beach »

We usually stay here once every three years and have noticed that the hotel is slowly getting worn down. We were here over New Years eve for 3 nights and I didn't think that the rate we paid was worth the experience this time. The entire time we were there we saw the same employees but they were performing different jobs for example one day a man was our housekeeper and the next day he was the maintenance guy and the 3rd day he was the breakfast clerk. I guess this is good from the hotels stand point as no one would get bored and they can do everything, but then no one gets proficient in one thing. What I did not like about this trip was the extremely small bathroom with an even smaller counter, there was absolutely no place to put our toiletries. The elevator was not working the entire time we were there. This wasn't really a problem for us but might have been for someone else who needed an elevator. We were on the 2nd floor and didn't have that much luggage. The entire 3 days we were there they had the same breakfast and I don't think the eggs were fully cooked either and it took them forever to come out & check to see if items were running low which they were. I don't believe that our room was vaccumed our entire stay as I saw the same items on the floor for 3 days. By the time the 2nd person took a shower the water was cold and no the first person didn't take that long or run really hot water. What I did like was the incredible views you were so close to the ocean. The full kitchen so we could cook. They also had cookies at night. When we came back from a day of sightseeing apparently we left our car lights on and the front desk clerk called to tell us so. We were appreciative of that. There was ample parking. The free wifi worked great. Not sure if I will be coming back here in the near future due to the issues outlined above in my dislikes, which is too bad as they used to be a delightful hotel. There is an outdoor pool and jacuzzi but I did not use them as we had a jacuzzi in our room. Thank you for the extra towels for that by the way.

« Dont waste your money »

Not a happy camper....requested early check-in and nope...rooms not ready..long story short lie lie lie by desk girl. 1 cup coffee maker in room, jetted tub the sides of tub falling offf. So much smoke from fires on beach you cant open the sliding door to enjoy the ocean sound. Room had a musty smell. Breakfast eggs under cooked no biscuits no gravy no bacon...really at 9am they were not prepared./ I will never pay that kind of price again,,,thought it would be a romantic getaway but my man didnt even want to get in tub as sises were falling off.....

    « Great Relaxing Trip »

We had the pleasure of staying at this location for a night and it was perfect. Steps away from the beach, and within walking distance to Kyllo's so it is situated perfectly for us. The room was very nice and large with a super comfortable bed, we did not have time to try out the pool and hot-tub but will be back, thanks for a relaxing nights stay!

    « Choose elsewhere »

There are a lot of choices out there and I would suggest choosing elsewhere. This stay was a disappointment, the room had stained furniture, breakfast was mediocre and the shower did not have enough hot water. Customer service was average.

    « Heavenly Experiance »

We had a marvelous stay, Everything was so clean and nice...newly renovated it seems, beds were like l sleeping on marshmallow clouds. The view was a million dollar view. I sat looking at the ocean for hours and hours it seems...simply breathtaking. Lay out of 2 Queen bed unit was so perfect...we had 2 bath rooms and lots of privacy if we wanted it. Employees were very professional and personable. The whole facility is very clean. We will certainly be back. This was our first stay at this facility and we come down to Lincoln City every month...we will definitely forgo the establishments we stayed at prior and make this our main stay !!!!!

    « Lincoln Sands Suites »

This hotel is way overpriced for the quality I received. I asked this hotel if their sauna was working before reserving and the receptionist positively assured me it was. When I arrived I went up to the sauna and first off the temperature gauge was broken right off and it did not turn on. As well the door was completely warped not allowing it to close all the way. We told the front desk lady and she annoyingly came out to "fix" it. She did nothing but reassure us it was on. It was not. I would not stay here again nor would I recommend it to others.

The outdoor pool was heated to 90 deg. perfect for the after dinner swim. Hot tub was around 102 deg. Easy access to the beach to find those keepsake rocks and shells. over all our stay was very nice. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Breakfast was very good.

« Winter Get A Way to the Oregon Coast »

We stayed at the BW Plus Lincoln Sands in Lincoln City on our recent 3 day trip to the Oregon Coast. Motel was off the main traffic flow so no road noise. The room was spacious with a nice view of the Pacific Ocean. Bed was comfortable and the fire place was very nice. The rooms all come with a full kitchen so eating on a budget is your call - cook or go out. Breakfast was below normal variety but still good. The WiFi was spotty at best. Kept bumping you off. Still a nice family vacation spot - (Great out door pool) where you don't have to be hooked to your phone or tablet to have a good time.

« Relaxed by the sound of the ocean »

We love listening to the ocean and looking out each morning and this hotel provides an excellent opportunity since every room has a small deck facing the ocean. The pool was nicely heated even though it was outside and the hot tub very relaxing and clean. There is a change room that is heated and has the towels to use, plus chairs and places to put your clothes to keep them dry. Really nice to sit in the hot tub when it is gently raining. The beds were comfortable and it was nice to have the small kitchen & dining area. With a path leading to the beach which encouraged a fresh walk in morning. So beautiful. Everything was great.

    « Stunning view! »

The only complaint I have about this hotel is that the breakfast room is way to small for such a large hotel, The view is stunning, The outdoor pool and hot tub were perfect temperature, We even used it while it was raining. Rooms were clean and to our standards. I wish they would allow pets. Over all we had an amazing time I can't wait to come back!

Great location and ocean front rooms with separate bedroom and kitchen, but could use updating. The staff are great and very accommodating. Kitchen supplies are sparce and some appliances need replacing and the elevator was out of order the 3 days that we were there. We were given another room that was in better condition and were very accommodating.

« Great place for storm watching in comfort!! »

I had a voucher for a free night so a friend and I chose this Best Western and were really pleased at our choice! We had a 3rd floor 2-queen room with one bed in a separate front bedroom with its own bath, and to the rear of the unit, facing the Pacific, a full kitchen and then a second queen in a murphy bed, and a lounge area with full-width windows overlooking the ocean and a sliding door onto the balcony. A big plus (since it was rainy and blowing) was the fact that the balcony is sheltered on both sides and overhead so it is possible to sit there with a glass of wine, watch the surf, and see the gorgeous sunsets, all while staying dry and cozy.  There is a separate heating unit for each sleeping area so it was really easy for each of us to have exactly the sleeping temp we wanted. On arrival, the larger of the TV's wasn't working but Hope, at the front desk, was really great at getting it working, even though she had to go up and down to the office twice (with a foot in a cast!) to get the master control for the TV. She stayed smiling and cheerful throughout! The morning breakfast was wonderfully fresh and hot and the coffee is especially good---nothing weak and wimpy here!  The only slight down-side was the softness of the mattresses. Fortunately, both of us can sleep well on soft beds but anyone requiring a firm mattress would have had some difficulty. For our purposes, it was a really enjoyable stay and WE WILL BE RETURNING! It is also nice that Kyllos Restaurant is just a short walk away through a couple of parking lots and their crab-cakes are memorable. (I should note that the elevator is still only self-service part of the time but the staff will take you up to your room with their key.) Room Tip: Third floor views are particularly spectacular. But I doubt that there IS a bad room.

« Great view and location! »

This place is by far the best place I have stayed at on the Oregon coast. The people are very friendly. The room is laid out perfect. The location on the beach is terrific and the heated outdoor pool, hot tub, sauna and even bbq would make this a perfect long term place to stay. We had a full kitchen as well. Glad we finally stayed here. Check this place out and you won't be disappointed. Lincoln management takes great care of the product and people. Great to see that. Congrats on a winning formula.

    « Great Hotel »

Hotel was just what husband and I needed before the arrival of our new baby. We had a room on the first floor, just seconds to the beach. Room was very clean and staff was very welcoming. We have already reccommended hotel to family and we will be back again. In walking distance to our favorite dinner spot as well Kylos!

Beautiful ocean view, right on the beach with a great hot tub in the room with a fire place. Full kitchen. With in walking distance of several great restaurants. About 20 miles from the light house and 30 miles from the Sea Lion Caves. Both worth the trip.

« Lovely hotel with a lovely view »

Our suite had a very comfortable bed, two bathrooms, a full kitchen incl. a dishwasher and stove/oven. There was a pull down bed in the living area. The ocean was right outside our window. It would be a wonderful place to spend a week.

    « Winter storm »

The hotel was going thru a remodel, the elevator had just malfunctioned the day we got there but t still worked with the help of the front desk personnel with a key. The room was nice and clean. Had a great view of the ocean and surf, we were on the second floor ( I would highly recommend) and the beach was right outside. Did not use the pool or sauna as there was rain and wind while we were there. Close to "Kyllos" which is a great restaurant and has a great view also.

    « ok stay »

limited parking options and mediocre facility for wheelchair user. The room was not cleaned very well and sheets on the bed were dirty looking. Breakfast was ok and the beds were comfortable. The beach view out of the room was very nice, but the windows were dirty.

    « To the Beach »

We have stayed here before, it is normally excellent. This time the elevator could only be run by someone with the key, normally the lone hotel clerk. I believe they could have let us know this earlier than at check in. The mattress was worn out, both sides roll to the center.

    « Great stay-close to ocean »

An older Best Western but kept up well and remodeled. Smaller, 3 Stories, all suites close to ocean as in right on the beach. About 120 feet to the sand and some times the water depending on the tide. Been there before in hot-tub/fireplace corner suite. Very nice. The one elevator was on the fritz and finally wasn't able to be used. Breakfasts are very good.

    5
« Excellent, despite elevator being down »

The elevator was down the last time we were there in May 2015 and was working intermittently during the visit before that one. It is a small drawback to an otherwise wonderful experience. The staff were proactive, we never had to ask for anything. The view was exceptional, right on the beach. An excellent value.

« Has always been a great place to stay. »

It's a little dated but so nice to walk onto the beach. We have been going to this hotel over the past 20 years. The staff is very accommodating. The breakfast is ok but I'm not sure if any hotels that offer breakfast is that much different. It's a quiet place. The first time I saw the ocean, my husband took me to Oregon. And this hotel holds a special place in our hearts.

This hotel on the beach was beautiful. There were a few things i didnt like about our jacuzzi bath in our room but it still worked and it was nice( the little handle to turn on the jets was broken off and it was hard to adjust the temperature of the water as well). I think the price was a bit much for what the room was like. The beds are nice, but really soft. The hotel room was clean but they missed things like under the couch cushions, there was food in it. but thats just me being nit pickey, Everyone was nice and professional, hardly any noise heard from our neighbors which was great! Overall the room was good, the pool and jacuzzi outside were nice as well!

Nice , older hotel , but well maintained , no problems , good rest , good breakfast too! Had a queen in a separate bedroom , a queen Murphy bed & sofa bed in living room , TV's in living room & bedroom - Altogether a neat room!

« great quality and comfy beds! »

best western are very consistent in room quality and bed comfort is the best! We traveled for 21 days and only stayed in 2 different hotels for 3 weeks - I made a point to locate and stay at the best western! For a fair price you have a comfy bed - extra pillows - free wifi and free breakfast!

This is our preferred destination In the Spring and Fall months when the crowds are much less. The hotel is located within 150 ft of the Pacific Ocean and, though small in size, offers rooms from the low hundreds to family and couple suites in 2 to 3 hundred dollar range, depending on the season. It's location halfway between Newport and Tillamook also offers more variety of fun things to do and see. We travel over 400 miles usually twice a year to spend a week at this, our favorite hotel.

We appreciated all the help the staff gave us when the elevator broke, From Front desk to repairman to maid, they all offered to help us with luggage. Seems like they could not do enough. Cookies at 4 everyday are great also

« The beach is so close, but some improvements could be made. »

We enjoy having an ocean front room with a balcony, and direct beach access with no stairs. The rooms were clean, with plenty of towels and extra pillows and blankets. I do wish there were another towel bar in the bathrooms as the 1 bar was completely taken with the clean towels, so we had to remove clean towels to hang wet ones. Unfortunately the refrigerator made quite a bit of noise, and the door opened away from the kitchen, so not very convenient. Also the dishes were minimal (only 4 of everything in a room for 4) so we had to wash dishes more often than desired. We found a few holes in the bedding. Also the decor is quite dated. We do love this motel and assume these issues will be addressed.

We were very satisfied with everything at this hotel and we will be coming back to stay. thank you so very much for everything. The beach access was incredible. I have fibromyalgia so the beach access made it possible for me to go down to the beach with our daughter.

« Beautiful view, great rooms »

Love this hotel. Have stayed here 3 times and will return. I recommend staying on 2nd or 3rd floor if you want a view of the ocean. Beds are comfortable with nice linens. It's great having a full size kitchen if you WANT to cook. Noticed they put a corkscrew in the kitchen this time but no wine glasses. Highly recommend this hotel.

Huge rooms, with deck overlooking the Ocean. The outdoor heated pool was heaven. Breakfast was ok. The Front Dest staff was some of the best I've ever seen. If your coming to Lincoln City. Best Western Lincoln Sands is the place to stay!!!

« Great if you have kids; separate rooms for kids/parents!! »

Although this hotel could you some updates with more modern decor, overall we enjoyed our stay because the room was quite spacious and my kid had her own room and my husband and I had our own room and bathroom. The bed, although comfortable, seemed to make us roll into the middle and was a bit lumpy in places. Full kitchen if you need it. A coffee table and dining table. 2 bathrooms. Great views and beach access. Wi-fi worked great! I am a Platinum member and was surprised I received a room right near a busy intersection, so when we went to bed we heard a lot of noise at first from people walking by, normally I get a better room at the end of a hall. I will come back, but will request an upstairs room.

« Nice view! Friendly staff »

I really loved this place. The price was right on and got a pretty big room with 2 bathrooms and 2 queen beds and a kitchen. Open the sliding glass doors and your looking at the ocean. Bring a swim suit because they have a heated pool and jacuzzi. The girl at the desk was super friendly, gave us good information on where to eat etc. a definite come back place! Loved it!

I love this place you are steps away from the beach and just a few more steps to one of the nicest restaurants in Lincoln City. You can park your car and just stroll no need to drive anywhere. Clean tidy and wonderful staff.

« Best beds in the West »

Your pillow top beds are the most comfortable of all I've stayed in at La quintas, Holiday Inns Expresses. The rm value at this property was unmatched, very clean, spacious and location on the beach topped it off for my wife and I as we do road trips with 20 nights or more a year. You probably would have been given an Excellent rating had breakfast been given more attention to detail.

« It's all about being on the ocean. »

The title says it all. This hotel is nice and clean, but the only feature that really matters is that is right on the ocean with a very convenient walking path to the beach. The parking lot is dangerously small and when you select a room, be sure it is not at ground level. The ground level units have an obscured view of the ocean because of the tall grasses and your privacy will be compromised. The rooms are long and designed for up to two families.

    5
« Right on the ocean »

Great accommodations for our extended stay; allowed us to fix meals in our room and fall asleep every evening to the sound of ocean waves. Large balconies extend across the length of the room. Had fireplace and Jacuzzi. Lots of space for placing clothes so no need to live out of suitcase if on an extended stay. Shower large and plumbing fixture new/improved.

« Not bad but could be improved »

Hotel staff were very polite. The room could have been cleaner. We discovered a blood stain on a sheet and a small amount of blood on a balcony chair. In regard to the quality of the room, the decor was older, outdated/worn in appearance, IE the finish of the bed looked weathered from moisture damage and the cabinets were outdated. Why can't hotels invest in more comfortable beds? This is one the primary reasons that we do not stay in more hotels! Our fireplace did not work and no attempt was made to make it up to us. Although, I did not mention the other Issues. I was treating my wife and did not want to add negativity to the stay. Not sure it would have made a difference anyway. The on-line photos look much better than the room in first person.

    « Location Location Location »

Hotel is aging, but nicely kept up and you can't beat the location - right on the beach. Good breakfast, well tended - could use more variety. Be sure to try the Yami Yogurt - it's fantastic and should be everywhere - although we couldn't find it in any grocery stores or other BW's!

« Not Up To Its Previous Reputation »

This hotel needs refurbishing and the suites need new appliances, comfortable living room and dining room furniture, bed mattresses, new window coverings, window cleaning - especially in the living room and sliding door, new sliding doors to patio with better locks, different bathroom fan/light switches so the fan does not work the entire the bathroom light is on in the ensuite, We will likely look for another hotel to stay in next time we visit Lincoln City if the above mentioned items have not been completed.

I bring my mom here every year that I can now for the past 6 years now. They are the best . Great service always smiles. Good cookies. They go out of the way to make sure you have everything you need.
