Like a lot of hotels this magnificent Old Lady has risen to the heights of its 33 levels.after the effects of covid The rooms are roomy and clean with ample hot water.The Front office staff are there to help when needed i found DEDE was almost like my guardian together with the entire staff assisted me with all of my small problems.The hotel boasts a handy store for the things you may have forgotten or need The close proximity of the hotel to huge shopping centers like Pasar Pagi and ITC together with Mangga Dua Square all within a short distance.

Overall the service is good, i just complaint about the AC in 3103 because it is not cold enough, but finally i moved to 2710. The menu at breakfast is also complete enough, the sushi chef is so friendly

I don't believe it that the hotel room is very small, the outside view is also small, the lights went out at night and I waited for about 10-15 minutes for them to come back on, in the middle of the night, the sound of staff from outside could be heard and disturbed my sleep, the TV channel list is also not updated and not accurate, the TV quality is old and not good, the shower room is very small and even difficult to close, the toilet bidet is leaking, the bedsheet is also dirty, the towels are also worn out, I didn't expect to feel disappointed in this hotel

It was pleasure stayed at Best Western Mangga Dua, Jakarta. The room is quite big and comfortable. Breakfast also good, full of variety food and clean. Mr. Erick as General Manager is professionally charmed, he is helping me directly with his own hands during my stay. Keep it that way Best Western Mangga Dua Jakarta, absolutely I will come back.

Room is OK. Neat and Clean. Toiletries and amenities are fair. We had room 32th Floor room 3212. Nice view toward west... Another thing is good and attract attention is Japanese Food Station during breakfast. It's good idea to keep that station for a while..., or make it permanent with more variety Japanese Foods in the morning. Overall are good. Service are good. Food are good. Staff are nice and friendly. Recommended for a business and family trip.

Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service escpecially Front Office area (thank you to Pak Dani and also Ms Nisa for the excellent services) . This is the first visit for me and my partner, very satisfied! The breakfast was great, the food and drinks were varied and the genuine kindness of the staff made every moment here enjoyable. Cleanliness is good, and attention is paid to maintaining hygienic standards. The location is very close to the city center. It is reasonably priced hotel in a convenient location for those who need to be in that part of city. Rooms are decent, breakfast is good. Internet is unreliable, however, which is a big concern. Hopefully it gets improved.

when entering room, it's not really comfortable because the floor dusty and feels hot inside. need a long time to make the room comfy enough for a good sleep. swimming pool also not really clean but its a big pool so i love it. thanks

Recently stayed for 24 nights (18/3 to 11/4) in a suite room (3018). Was originally booked in for a 10 night stay and as I liked the hotel and received a very good offer from the management, I extended for a further 14 nights. The room was spacious and well equipped with excellent views towards the harbor from two small balconies which could be opened. TV programs were varied with international channels. The staff were all courteous and helpful. Buffet breakfasts were OK. Access to the lifts was not a problem. The neighborhood is a bit run down but security is not a problem. Grab and Bluebird taxis were easy to access. This hotel is really very good value and is strongly recommended by me.

Room is great, detailed cleaning.fabulous facilities can be enjoyed during my stay. here staff are very friendly and helpful. i would love to stay here again and recommend it to our friends definitely.

The staff are helpfull, No need to pay more if we brings children under 12 yo for breakfast. The building seems need some of spots to be renovate. The swimming pools is very attractive especially for kids. Overrall its nice place to stay for family.

This was my second stay at that hotel, and unfortunately not a pleasant one. Zero recognition of Best Western elite status, no efforts to offer any service recovery later on by the management. Average cleanliness (room was clean, bathroom not so much). There are other properties within the brand which offer a better product.

Best Western hotel concepts kinda dark n colonial type ... some how the management managed to give a touch of a horror and sprinkled a light dust on the wood tile floor : thus, easily find foot forensic ... smart huhh. Tempted to sleep with shoes on but mom always remind me with big NO, NO boys.

I really enjoyed and comfortable stay at Bestwestern Mangga Dua Hotel, very helpful, the food is delicious, all staff friendly especially Diyani ( Front Desk ) and Room clean. My husband, my ten months daughter, and I were staying here only for one night. The location is good for shopping at ITC Mangga dua and having some at Dufan, plus if you want to try the best seafood by the beach too. Checked in with Ms. Putri, which so professional and friendly. The room is very spacious and clean. Talking about the food, we went for breakfast, lunch, and dinner there. Every time we had food and drinks is always delicious. We tried the BEST pempek in Jakarta , and beef pindang, nasi tampan set, cost 88k. It's fantastic for all of us. I cannot how delicious the food was; is just incredible in our mouth and tummy. We also went to the spa for a 1-hour massage, mba Alvi and tiffany had a magic hand. Our body was so relaxed and felt refreshed when it finishes. We had a fantastic staycation at your place. will come back again

Really a nice place to stay. The hotel and their staff are just amazing. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Wifi in the hotel is extremely fast. The breakfast spread is really good. Everything you need is walking distance.

I was very enjoy my stay here, room was clean. Ac was good and breakfast was variative but seems like their location deep inside and nothing sell and not interested at all . But if you may going somewhere please ask reception to.provude it i am prefer using grab is more cheaper anyway.

The hotel is worth the value and it is in good quite location as well. The only little note is that when i arrived the reception told me the room i booked was not available and I had to pay more for upgrade! But then they offered me the upgrade for free. Overall nice hotel, and i would suggest to Hotel management to avoid overbooking of rooms as that would cause problems with the hotel guests. Breakfast would be perfect for locals but not for international travellers, although it is rich and offers many local dishes. Room is comfortable and spacious and the staff are very friendly. Actually i've been satisfied since i've arrived for check in but unfortunately they have some issues regarding the water on my bathroom , appreciated for the managers has given me a nice room to moving which is i knew that we may have a same type of room. Location was bit inside of the road but thanks they have a free shuttle to ITC mangga dua Last but not least i love for hotel ambience , maybe with a small renovated would be great

Every thing is perfect except in the bathroom the water is waterlogged. The breasfast menu is wide and delicious. All waiters, Melinda in parricular was exceptionally helpful and super friendly. Only the hotel building is off location.

The cards given were unable to open the door, managed to open the door after 3 times replacement. The aircon was warm. There are cokroaches in the bathroom. Curtain was stained and dirty. Floor was also dirty, but fortunately there were slippers provided. The only good point was ALL staff were serving very passionately. You guys have made the stay acceptable despite poor room conditions.

Location is great, good rate, nice swimming pool because there are 2 pool for the children. it was quite nice at 1st day stay in this hotel. but on the day 2, the swiimming pool very crowded by smoking young guys (I guess they are from the apartment)

stayed at the this hotel 3 night on a business trip on floor 32 . I found very nice restaurant setting and the room was plain, very clean with good Lobby also quite nice.but really WiFi very slow and week .informed them but nothing happened . I don't recommend their spa

Stayed here for a week and from the moment I arrived until the second I checked out it was fantastic... I was given a upgrade to a superior deluxe suite which was beautifully presented and spacious with amazing views over the city.. The food in the restaurant is beautiful and really well presented chef edi genuinely loves his job and with his team endeavour to give top quality food for a very good price.. He is quite new there and I think in the near future he will have firmly put his flair and passion on to the next level.. Definitely such a bonus when you have great food that matches such a great hotel.. Definitely recommend the steak and prawn yummy.. The front of house team.. Well what can you say about perfection and performance.. Always smiling polite and friendly.. Nothing was too much trouble.. From keeping me plenty of beer on ice so it was nice and cold to ensuring that every guest in their care was looked after... Little things like free dishes of peanuts or extra bread and butter go such a long way in the hospitality sector... Things like that definitely make customers feel like they are in a second home and not in a hotel.. Personal touches smiles and laughter will really miss you guys... The room was immaculately cleaned.. and this is such a compliment.. The cleaners are TOTALLY HONEST... After my first night I left a large amount of money on my side without realising when I came back from my trip was NOT touched.. For the rest of the week not once did I feel like I had to worry about anything... Clean towels fresh linen and totally spotless real quality in the care of customers belongings... The pool is spotlessly clean and attendants are on hand with towels for you... My only criticism and it's more of a suggestion... Is I think a little soft drink table and a nibble bench would be a great addition so families can enjoy the pool area for longer periods without having to dry off to go down to the lounge for a drink for themselves or their children... Reception soooo easy to use and check in and out.. No massive forms or fuss just the way it should be... Knowledgeable about the areas and helping you to find places to go... Security guys are friendly and not intimidating they will help you with your bags and taxis to make sure you get the right one.... Jakarta is a beautiful place with friendly people and totally safe to walk around alone or with friends.. This hotel ticks every single box and more so to the general manager and all the management team a MASSIVE thank you to you all for taking the time to know your guests needs and bringing out the very best in your staff they are all a credit to you and the best Western brand... Best Western Mangga Dua, Nice Hotel. Clean restaurants and variety food, especially Ms Melinda provide very excellent service to us to serve tea and coffee,, we like her. Recommended hotel, I Will come back again.

The front office stuffs are not very cordial. They do not understand English they only understand 60%. Room service very slow. Elevator outdated, you are to wail at least 5 to 10 mins. The buffet breakfast is good but the stuffs are not well trained.

Good place to stay. Some miles away from central Jakarta. All staffs are very helpful and always smiling at service time. Very good breafast with many varieties and the taste is great, only for the chicken which was hard to chew. Many thanks to Via and Niken Yu always present and caring during breakfast. The Food and Beverage service is prompt and special thanks to all the personel of the F&B team for the free meal between 16hr00 till 18hr00 at the Sepala lounge. The room with a king size bed was just superb, but was not well cleaned at times, dusts could be found on the floor at the back of the room door and near the right bed corner on the floor. It also happened that when the room was cleaned during the day the person who cleaned the room forgot to take away the pillow cover which still remained in the room the day after and without forgetting the broken pencil tip which remain unsharpened since the day of arrival till the day of departure as well as the memo crd was not replaced. One of the security staff there advised and help me to buy sim card which was much appreciated but was amazed with his reaction when in a certain situation he owed me some money not a big sum at all but he never came to me and at times when he saw me he just avoided my presence which unfortunately make hotel guests notice it as a negative remark. On the check out date I asked at the Reception desk if I can have a one hour extension and the lady granted me with a smile. But at 11hr30 got a call in the room to inquire at what time am leaving and some minutes later came the housekeeping staff knocking at the door for the same reason which I strongly believe that a good communication skills is required for a better service especially in the hospitality market.

This is my regular hotel.. I always stay here when i visit Jakarta. It is near ITC Mangga Dua, which is the shopping haven for ladies. The breakfast spread is good! They are delicious... The staff service is excellent! As good as a 5-star hotel! The hotel rooms are a little old but they are clean.

The warm welcome of the staff, Pelayanannya bagus.. when my minibar is not working they came to change it staff nya friendly,berada Di tempat Yang strategis, the breakfast is delicious, the room quite good and clean and excellent WiFi.

I am extremely satisfied on my Stay @ Hotel best western mangga dua. I am also Thankful for staff at best western for the service they extended in my visit. last but not least appreciate Lovely Breakfast with Wide choice to keep you going . I would definitely stay once again in my next visit.

This was probably a good hotel when it opened. But on closer look much of the hotel infrastructure is old and crumbling. Many of the tiles creaked when we walked on them. The lifts take forever to come, because one of the lifts goes to the residences while the other two go to the hotel and they are not synchronised. So if someone calls the lift on level 32, both lifts go up. We stayed on the 32nd floor (non-smoking). The room initially allocated to us did not have a working aircon. Also, a small portion on the TV was chipped off and one of the switches was broken. None of these are problems as such, but shows that the quality of appliances and infrastructure in the hotel has degraded over time. We waited for almost 4 hours before calling the reception and asking them to send someone to fix the aircon. It almost became unbearably stuffy to stay inside. No Airconditioner + no open windows/air circulation is quite dangerous to stay in. They sent someone to fix it. After trying something he said wait for 10 mins, it should be fine. After another hour of waiting we called reception again. Airconditioner still wasn't working. The lady at the reception asked us if we would like to change our room. After a 30-minute wait a porter came and asked us to check out another room to see if it was okay for us. Same floor. Different side. This one seemed nice. Aircon seemed to be working. We moved to this room. It was almost 10:30-11pm. We hadn't yet locked the room, as we were still unpacking our stuff. Suddenly the room door opens and this hotel staff followed by 2 other people show up. It was quite shocking as this has never happened to us in any other hotel. The hotel guy apologises on seeing us, all 3 of them fumble out and close our door. I guess they were given our room (the reallocated one)? If not, do all hotel staff have a master card to open any room door? Thats quite shocking. I just hope they made a mistake while allocating the room. The second room that we got, was a corner room. But be careful, do not leave the curtains open when you sleep. I saw people walking outside the room window at night. The next morning I noticed that at the end of the corridor there is this open door which says staff only. And that probably leads to the ledge outside the window. The windows cannot be opened so you are probably safe. But I wouldn't want people to look at me when I am sleeping. Probably you wouldn't want that either. Third shocking experience was with the spa. My wife called a few times to make a reservation at the spa. Nobody picked the call. She went down to the spa to find that the person who is supposed to be receiving calls is sitting there with her headphones on. So no wonder the phone calls weren't getting answered. We made sure to start a deposit so we could bill the spa to our room. The spa lady still made my wife go all the way down to the reception and wait for a bit while she spoke to the lady at the reception. nothing wrong in going down if they needed her signature or something. But after waiting for a few mins they just told her she could go back. So what was the point of going and waiting at the reception? Seems like a waste of time and unnecessary hassle to the hotel guests. And to our surprise, when we checked out our entire deposit was returned. We told the lady at the reception that we used the spa and it should have been billed to the room. After opening some files and checking something she apologised and charged us for it. So if we did not alert her we could have just left the hotel without paying for the spa? I'm just surprised that there are so many lapses in processes at a BW hotel. Coming to the positives - The breakfast was good. The staff were mostly friendly and nice. They spoke better English than most other hotels we have been to, in Indonesia. So communication wasn't a very big hassle. We ordered room service once. It was quite fast and tasted good as well. Also, from some rooms in level 32, you can see the ocean. It is not a sea/ocean view, but if you like to see the ocean you might like it.

Stayed for 6 days at best western mangga Dua is very good trip for me here because the service staff were very good, i feel so special here.. And windi the greeter in the batavia coffe shop oww she is the best of the best. She welcomes me very well and polite with good spoke english.. And and good spoke english.. The service is good, especially the Batavia Coffee Shop. Friendly and polite staff, serving diligently. A corner for kids helps a lot. Hotel room is spacious and clean. Noticed that housekeeping cleaner are well trained as not to touch our personal item left on the table. Will stay in this hotel again in my next visit.

I like this hotel because of the polite , helpful of management and service team among the period I stay 3 + 3 nights . However there are some rooms defect or facilities needs to improve , such as rooms cabinet , too long of waiting time for building lift , etc . Breakfast variety choice also need to improve, anyhow the food are good to me , I like it .

I booked a superior room, a non smoking room. I came at 12 AM, my room is not ready yet, so they gave me another room, it's a smoking room, but the room is spacious and has a bathtub, also a great view. Many variants of breakfast was served. The service was also good. I would like to stay here again if i come to jakarta.

this hotel is ordinary and not too fancy, almost the same as hotels in general. the food is tasty and quite varied but the service is so extraordinary. other than other hotels. especially the little lady greeter at the restaurant, Windy welcomed me very well and her sweet smile made guests really comfortable staying in the restaurant for long. She spoke politely, making guests feel respected, not only for me but she paid attention to all the guests even though breakfast was self service. really an ordinary hotel with exceptional service

I was there for 5 days following a business from Bangladesh. the rooms are very comfortable but too long to wait for the elevator. from the first lunch I met Windi, the waitress who always smiled sweetly at restaurant batavia very welcomed us very very well, as well as breakfast she offered bread by speaking English very well and politely, friendly and kind and always paying attention to her guests . Windi, you are a valuable asset for this company, I was very impressed with this best western staff service, the best service from the many hotels I have visited in the world.

The variety of the food are not much, the taste was so so I'll give it 6 up to 10 but remembering the price are quite cheap I will considering this was ok. I'll also say the place are too dark for me and a lil bit creepy all over the place. but I appreciate the effort of kids corner on the cafe. It just an old hotel which need a renovation, you only can book a taxi or grab/Go-Jek/Uber if you want to going to this hotel since this place was untraceable

Staying @best western hotel Mangga Dua was one of the best hotel's experience I have ever had during my business/vacation trip to Indonesia. From the moment i walked into the hotel until i arrived in my room, i was so welcomed. The housekeeper, the room service and everyone else were very excellent. Please pay more attentions about safety for your guest, especially in bathroom, I almost hit the wall cause I was slide in bathroom, I don't know how it can be?? I stayed for a few days there, already past.the hotel is good like the hotel in general, the rooms are spacious, the food is tasty and varied but lift is very bad and too slowly. friendly staff, but the greeter at Batavia Coffee Shop still asks for my room number every day even though I stayed there for more than 5 days, it needs improvement. but the staff at the restaurant are very friendly.I appreciate Windi who works in the restaurant and lobby, she is very helpful and pleasant, and called my name every day, she spoke english very well made a good conversation with me that is fantastic, she gave me an excellent service and make my stay very very good there.

The first thing that location is not strategic, hard to find, and road so quite at nite ( creepy). Second one is the room, a little bit old design, less maintennce, and many equiptment already broken. Third is the breakfast. Less of variety, but the taste is good. The best part is only the staff. I was expecting a nice comfortable stay based on the reviews i read and also i recently had a stay in one of the Best Western in Indonesia and it was superb. Upon arrival, i noticed there wasnt much chairs for guests in the hotel lobby, there were about 8 of us. The lobby is big, but the space wasnt fully utilized. The lifts also needs upgrade. It was slow and looked old and feels that it can breakdown anytime. The furnitures in the room looks old, the door latch was broken as well. And on my check-out day, the hotel door lock broke as well, so the room can't be closed. The room had a balcony, view was awesome though but the balcony itself can be improved. It took almost 2 hours for the air-con to be felt. I had the same feedback from my other colleagues staying at different rooms as well. The wifi connection is good though. And lastly, the hotel spa. it was very disappointing. The massage was mediocre. I requested for the 2-hour full body massage. My privacy for the whole massage was compromised. After the massage and body scrub (the masseuse even wanted to see me take my bathe) , I have about 40 minutes more and she doesn't know what to do anymore. I told her the amount of time time i'm left with and she said she didn't see the start time of the massage. I gave her instructions and it was done after 15 minutes. So the massage ended with me having another 20 minutes more. She also waited for me in the same room for me to get changed. Where's the privacy again? And while doing so, she packs up the room. I noticed that she recycled the face towel again and also the cover that i lay on. Where's the hygiene practice? She told me to pay the monies to her, instead of at the counter. (I gathered from my other hotel stays, i paid at the counter) . I gave her IDR 350,000 as per what is stated at the counter and she just looked at me as though i paid her wrongly. I guess she was expecting a tip? Please do re-train the hotel masseuse.thank u!

We attended a fair in Jakarta and our previous hotel was full so we tried the Best Western Mangga Dua. It's website states independently managed which I am sure #BestWestern appreciate. Booked through #booking.com which made the checkin nearly half an hour. There are 3 of us, one booking, all single rooms. On a side note I have yet to have a simple check in to a hotel with a #booking.com booking...very very long check in. One that we all started to make jokes at because it simple kept on going, one of us went for 2 cigarettes and still had time.... We received one room early which was fantastic, most appreciated. The room was hotter than outside (and we are in Jakarta...) so we turned on the ac, left our bags and went to the fair. 6 hours later the room isn't even cool, a call to engineering fixed it quickly - great turn around, thank you! An extra star for this. A group had booked the hotel (school children) so the bar had been cleared and replaced with banqueting tables... so had a drink in the restaurant instead. Good service form the bar, quick and efficient. Had a good lamb fried rice for dinner (nasi goreng kambing), with a pleasant fresh sambal. Unfortunately the food waiter never returned with my change... not important for only IDR2,000 (15-20 cents), and would have given him that and a tip if he had returned. A suggestion to the chef is to use MSG sparingly, have more confidence in your cooking, add a little if you have to, preferably don't. Breakfast was the expected cold hot food and was ready for the MSG dry tongue (took 3 glasses of water to the table). School kids took over the restaurant so the guests ended up sharing tables. I waited until many had left to refill my fruit... Had great service from a daily worker, attentive, friendly and really made my stay ok. It is those little touches that go so far. My colleagues were not so lucky, sleeping in heat for 2 nights with very noisy air conditioning (that didn't really work) and that was never resolved. The wait for the lifts became very tiresome, almost always waiting for 5 minutes (which seemed much longer) Overall a local hotel, as there website states (independently managed), so don't expect any international standards. Then you should be ok

This is the first time I and my family have stayed at this hotel. We booked 3 rooms by calling directly to the hotel.1 suite and 2 super deluxe rooms. Our plan to stay at this hotel is to spend our weekend with a big family. We have never come to this hotel before. When I enter the hotel area, honestly I was surprised by the hotel & service. It's really beyon my expectations. It turns out the hotel is large, the lobby is very spacious and comfortable, the restaurant is large and even the rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable for the size of a four star today.It is highly recommended for those of you who need a hotel in the mangga dua area and its surroundings.

I've stay at Best Western Mangga Dua when I visit Jakarta. The view from Best Western Mangga Dua was nice, you can see Jakarta from above. I had breakfast in Batavia Coffee Shop, they have variety of foods there like a croissant, any kind traditional food, fresh fruit, salad and etc. Feeling so relaxing when I entered the room. I've stay in Superior room, the Aircon was good, wifi good and easy to login, the staff was so friendly and very helpful.

Last week I stayed at this hotel with my friends.,.so comfort hotel...big lobby...friendly staf...the internet was great...I was holiday with my friends but I must did some of my job using the WiFi...the breakfast was good....only the elevator takes long time....the building looks like old but the inside of the hotel so comfortable for me and my friends.....

Good enough hotel and convenience if you want to do shopping at Mangga Dua area and also Glodok area. Lots of options to eat for local/western foods. Quite quiet at night. Simple swimming pool at F1. Elevator seems slow especially when it's lots of guests. Went to visit their Sunda Kelapa coffee shop today July 22, 2018. Found a table and no one bother to acknowledge me & kids. I asked for menu, only then they know I wanted to order. Placed an order, wait and they delivered my order then kinda left us alone. We wanted to ask for something but kinda hard to get their attention. So we gave up and just asked for bill. In general, they are polite.

On the first day check-in (for myself), the room was not yet ready althought it'd been around 3 pm. When it was ready and I came into the room, the bedcover was still wet. The next day my family came to the hotel for check-in around 3 pm, again the room was not yet ready. When it was, there was something missing inside the room like the complimentary water bottles. I think the main problem of this hotel is lack of human resources especially in room service and receiption. The rooms themselves are sort of run down with some facilities broken like lamps, sinks, or telephone. Breakfast is nice.

We ordered Chicken Roll with Thai Sauce, Soto Ayam Madura and Oxtail Soup for our lunch, all served with excellent taste and presentation. Closing with the dessert recommend by the staff (forgot the name of the dessert, consist of cream outside and mix of ice cream inside) was really made our Lunch memorable today. Special thanks to the Manager, Mr. Sammy (hopefully the right name) who spent the time to look after our table and ensuring our lunch running well. Great JoB ?? Though we're living in Jakarta, but during our tight schedule and activities at Ancol area, we stayed at a hotel quite nearby from Ancol (fantasy land) . It's quite spacious rooms. We stayed at 4 Suites rooms and 3 Super Deluxe rooms. The room has balcony with a city view of Northern Jakarta untill reaching the sea. We slept soundly. They also have big swimming pools outdoor and indoor. Most of all they gave good services and hospitality.

The location of the hotel is close to everywhere. Room is clean and water preasure is good. Limited choice for breakfast and average taste. So many mosquitos in breakfast area n lobby.Air conditioner in room 2703 is cool. We haven't try the pool.

The hotel is situated in a dirty area with open stinking drains that are ideal breeding grounds for mosquitos. The Reception area and restaurant are quite impressive to look at however once we sat down for a meal, we were plagued with mosquitos and other insects. The hotel needs to address this problem by fitting one of those blue insect zapping gadgets. The rooms were comfortable however the maintenance leaves a lot to be desired. The bathroom in our friends' room was leaking, they were shifted to another room, the ceiling was leaking. They reported the problem several times but it was not addressed. The toilet started to leak in our bathroom and once again it was ignored despite being reported. Service is slow and the staff are not trained to basic levels of hospitality.

I stayed here last week on my first day arrival in Jakarta. I booked a room as well as an airport pickup.However there was a mistake from the hotel side when I waited longer at the airport and it turned out that the driver was already there but with a different name on his paging board.I was dissapointed a bit. However, thanks to Front Office who let us for early check in and free upgrade our room with a very nice view of Jakarta city. The location also is very strategic which is close to Mangga Dua mall and ITC for shopping. They also have car service to go to other city with good driver. Breakfast was good,so many selections and staffs are all friendly and polite. Good Job Best Western, I''ll definitely coming back and recommend your hotel to my friends. Its just that in future, please be more alert and accurate on the paging board and guest name issue to avoid any problem or dissapointment and also I hope the lift will be fixed as soon as possible because me and other guests were also complaining about have to wait for a long time to reach to our floor. The view is so amazing and breathtaking from our room. Our room was at 29th floor. We were offered a free room upgrade when we arrived there. Rooms are very spacious enough. Very cheap also. The buffet breakfast was so delicious with many choices.

My room is big, clean and had a great view. But the gym is awful. No aircon, rubber smelly, very hot, i hardly breath. Swimming pool is okay. The check in and check out are quite fast. I ask for 2 connecting room, they didn't give me, but at least they upgrade my room

Stay at this hotel for 2 nights....not a new hotel but it is indeed clean and well maintain. Large room and comfort bed and pillow. Close to ITC Mangga Dua, shopping area with very affordable price and good stuff quality. Stay here and no regret. Thank you

The room so nice. Big and cheapest. The friendly staff really is really attract you to come again. The best thing in this hotel is the foods. The variety and taste is so good. The town view is nice. You can see everything in town from room. For sure i will being a repeated guest in future.

No worries; just bring your own! - My room had a balcony, but the door had been locked to prevent people from going out onto it. (Not a problem, exactly, just disappointing!) If i remember correctly, i get twin type room no. 2715 with queen beds. At that time, i enter the room late at night, past 24.00 WIB. i think it's a little bit spooky because the room is too large, the design is out of date and the lighting is dim

First time staying in this property and I really liked how new everything was laid out. It's a good hotel - rooms are comfortable, we had good shower facilities and buffet option was pretty good too. No complaints at all.

Exactly what you expect from a 4 star hotel. Clean room. Nice lobby. Good location (near Central Jakarta Court). Nice staff. If I had to suggest, I would suggest the management to improve the lift, so far so good

Had to layover for couple of days in Jakarta before heading to Bali. This hotel is just a baby... great facilities, awesome open buffet. It's my brother's birthday week and they surprised us with a cake few hours upon settling in. We'll be coming back definitely.

Recently, I used to stay in Jakarta and noticed there's a promo for BW Member. Rp.300k/night with maximum stay 2 night only. But it was really cheap with the whole facilities. The promo price is only until 30 June 2017 (If I wasn't mistaken). For the facilities Room: Clean, fast wifi connection (I used to update my whole apps in my iPhone), but elevator access to the room is really long to wait. It took 5-10 minutes to wait the elevator. But overall the room is good. Breakfast: I have been 1 week and the breakfast quite good. It's fine. Pool and Gym: The pool is quite long and clean. But the view from the pool was covered by a wall. The Gym was very terrible, I felt like in the sauna without entering the sauna room. The air conditioner was bad. There is no barbel/chest press in the gym. and no barbel too. (I'm quite concern about the Gym). And no one stay in the gym for asking a towel or a glass for water dispenser. Even in the pool I was confused while the rule in the pool we cant take room's towel but there is no guard in the pool to ask a towel. View: I once get the sea view and that was fantastic.

Just to share that my stay at this hotel is can be catagorize as a good stay. Staff considerably friendly. The security was good. Reception even though need a bit of an eye contact however everything was superb. The restaurant food was good however variety need to be improve. The room on the otherhand was nice and clean. Smell good however the only issue i had was there is no bath tub. My room was a bit warm due to aicon not been service and assume the filter.need to look at. However all my friends room aircon was fantastic. All in all for this hotel will only be a choice should your destination more towards shoping around that area. This is a good hotel to stay and can be consider one destination for north Jakarta.

They have Mongolian BBQ Night every Friday and Saturday Night. It is a great deals because we can eat everything for only Rp 135.000,-. I don't have to grilled meats by ourselves, they already got 2 chefs ready. I also enjoyed the night stay at this hotel. It was a good sleep. The bad things is only they got a crowded elevator, especially when a high season. Don't forget to try their swimming pool at the top.

This hotel is situated near the shopping malls in Mangga Dua, but will require a short walk to get there. The rooms are adequate (but relatively small), with full bathroom, good selection of tv channels, king or double single beds, fast free internet, work desk area, in room tea/coffee, and excellent air conditioner. Breakfast is an Asian/Western mix with plenty of choice (although no bacon). The lifts can be very slow and I had to wait over 5 minutes for a lift to arrive in the lobby on more than one occasion. Overall it is an adequate hotel (and good room rate) if you want to be in the north of central Jakarta.

Good hotel, easy check in and check out process, nice breakfast and also delicious nasi goreng i ordered from room service. The room was clean and comfortable, I got great view from my room. The only problem i had was TV channel, suddenly lost the connection but that's ok not a big problem, you need to improve and maintain. Overall this hotel is great!

Awesome hotel / visiting java Jakarta on my Indonesia trip and this was our first hotel in Jakarta! We felt so welcome! Rooms were so good, shower is very nice, food is so good and all the employees are super friendly!!! Really a recommendation !!!

I can see the view was very nice because I stayed on the 31th floor . The breakfast was also very tasty for domestic tourists. The lounge is big and comfortable but my room is full of dust because we couldn't open the windows because of safety reasons. But so far I am satisfied with the service. Old but good.

Possibly the tallest building in Mangga Dua, we could see it from far away. We stayed 2 nights at the 31st floor so you can imagine how great the city view was, it was lovely but the problem was that the window in my room was locked, I notice the warning sign on the window but we booked 2 rooms and the window on my friend's room was open. The room and the bed was dusty (probably because the window can't open). Great variety of breakfast (personally I love the coffee machine so much), great service from the staff, very friendly, they greet us as we pass by in the hotel. The swimming pool was nice too. The hotel seems old and really needs some improvements but overall the service was nice. Very close to ITC Mangga Dua and Ancol.

It was one night stay hotel . It should be rated 3 stars . Very basic facilities . Poor breakfast not made for middle eastern or European guests . Not even value for many . The area around the hotel not safe at night . The room amenities Were so basic . The Fridge Was out of order . Staff still needs more training about the hotel facilities .

Maybe the tallest building in Mangga Dua, 3 of us stayed on 27th floor with breathtaking view. We choose this hotel because the location just walking distance to Pasar Pagi, ITC and Mangga Dua Mall. Mini mart (Indomart) just take 5 minutes walking. Even the alley seems creepy by still safe to walk. Service, just fine. They clean our room everyday but not replaced our towels because it's Green Concept hotel. Breakfast, everyday they served chicken porridge, soto ayam, fried rice, fried noodles, steam rice, cereal, few selection of breads, salad, tea, coffee and juices. If you wish to go city, taxi is available in front of hotel. I have no serious issue with this hotel because it just fine to me except TOILET. It's look clean, but I'm not sure where the unpleasant smell came from. May be they need to investigate.

I stayed here for a night with friends, just for relaxing mind after a busy weekdays. Mongolian Barbeque is recommended for delicious dinner experience. All you can eat with buffet style and cheap price. I got a deluxe twin room on the 32 floor. It has 2 big single bed (120 x 200 cm). Water heater in the bath room is function well. So I can sleep with happy tummy at night.

We had a discount to stay in this hotel & we made a call to ask (& they promised to see to the arrangement) for a connecting room before we arrived on that day. But to our disappointment, the front desk did not give that to us because they said we could not give the name of the hotel staff who attended to us. We also dined at the cafe 1/2 evenings and we waited a little long for the food to come. Food standard was alright. Not fantastic & the buffet breakfast had little variety too. I guess the consolation was that staff was very kind and they responded reasonably quick when we called to say that the aircon wasn't working properly. Wasn't so sure about one of the mornings where the housekeeping came in and we didn't indicate (1) to make up the room or (2) do not disturb. I assume that if I didn't indicate anything, the room would be left alone. Maybe it was a common practice to make up the room if nothing was indicated. The hotel also provided transport out (1-way) to one of the malls (e.g. Mangga Dua) outside so that was convenient. Overall, experience was alright. I guess for a reasonably priced hotel, one has to watch expectations.

So, only spent a small portion of one night here. That was enough for me. The room had a smell that never went away. The bathroom ... I didn't even use the shower -- because it scared me. Soapscum, moldy walls, a floor that looked like it had not been cleaned since the last tenant - like the title said. Gross. It looked BEAUTIFUL in the lobby. Some of my colleagues were fine with it, so maybe I had the luck of the draw. That's why I gave it 3 and not less. But, for real, it was gross in my room. AND the elevator was being serviced, so it took forever to go through the high-rise hotel.

Location is close to mangga dua. Worth the value. However staff are slow moving, lazy and .... bla2x ..... "best western" please drill them MORE

Stay here when i go to watch 2ne1 concert with my sister. Service is good, they give me as i requested. That's what you expect when you stay in a hotel right? The room is big and comfortable. The view is beautiful. I got higher room.

This a old hotel at mangga dua area, big hotel and residence. The staff were nice and fast respond, the room actually fine, renovated already. The breakfast is buffet and many choice of indonesian food.

I have stayed there for 2 nights, the staff was friendly start from my arrival to departure. Chef was great to create wedangan style of coffee break. Breakfast was good. I escape to Mangga dua square using Bajaj easily to find just near the hotel. Good experience during my stay there. Please keep it up.

everything about the stay at the hotel was simply awesome!! Very very nice set of staff and the room was very pleasant , spacious with an extremely comfortable bed. Our room was on 32rd floor and had a super view from the room. breakfast buffet was good, in fact when we told them that we don't eat beef and pork , they went to the extent to get some chicken dishes for us. good location. 3 minute walk to ITC mannga dua and 10 minute walk to manggua dua square where you get shopping malls / carffour supermarket / food courts combined together.

I booked for 2 weeks through Agoda. The price of around USD50 per night was fully priced for the quality of the room and hotel. No discount in that price! The pool had a visibility of about 1/2 metre. Breakfast was ordinary at best. No a full range on the buffet. No drawers in which to store underwear, socks, t-shirts and the like. The wardrobe had 3 hangers inside. The bathroom had no towel rack and no space for toiletries. When I asked if they had a room with drawers for clothes storage I was told "No., They're all the same." When you combine that with the multiple mosques that seemed to have aimed their loudspeakers directly at my room, and which started at 4am with a couple of them going through until 7am on the Saturday and Sunday, it was not a pleasant experience!

It's deposit was only SGD 20 and they have decorated their lobby nicely for the festivities. Their doormen are always ready almost immediately to help you carry your luggage and open doors for you. They also allow you to play your favourite songs on youtube out loud from the imac that they have at the lobby. Apart from that, their service was efficient and their staffs are very respectful.

I meant to write the review of this hotel after my stay but at that time I was so pissed off so I decided to cool my self down for a while so that I can give unbiased review. So here it is... I realize that this hotel is located in Mangga Dua which populated with a lot off Chinese both for business or for leisure. I never thought that it would be matter, yet, during my stay there, I felt different service the staffs given to Chinese and a local citizen (pribumi) like me. Never in my hotel staying experience I had been treated differently due to my color skin but I somehow felt that there. The receptionist, concierge and restaurant staffs were friendlier and more helpful to the Chinese guests. For example, when there were me and Chines guest lifted heavy things, the staff offered the Chinese guest to carry it. I wasn't offered, although I knew for sure the staff saw me first. Perhaps the staff thought I was a maid not a guest (as I am not a Chinese?) so I wasn't worth for the help offer? I dunno. Anw I was staying here with my kid to celebrate his recovery after major surgery, we'd like to have fun in the pool and had a little swim but eventually the pool was under maintenance. The staff told me that it will be ready to use the following morning but it wasn't. Gee, such a buzz off. Me and my kid were disappointed. But to make it fair, the hotel was lovely though. I love the room. It was spacey, good interior, nice tub and very clean! I enjoyed the various menu at the breakfast (but not the service given by the staff). Hoping that the management will improve the manner or retraining their staffs as too bad that this kind of hotel chain has this kind of service.

The management of Mangga Dua Hotel and Residence is slightly worse than other Best Western Hotels. I stay here for 5 nights and request for upgrade a couple of time as I am Best Western Diamond member. Upgrade was not done and points were not recorded. Room was average with strong water spray showerhead. Room needs more lighting.

Im stayed here for 4 night 5 days check in was smooth everything was great only some the service is not good..i stay for 4 night and the greeters in restaurant keep asking my room number...and i think got 1 guy is a FB Manager never say hi and never talk to me also, he just concern with foreign guest..maybe is destiny as indonesian they just see me with half eye..but nevermind i dont care about that.. breakfast was great but nothing special. the last problem is, im waiting bell boy to help me take my luggage for 30 minutes...and they send me 2 people..im waiting and rushing..so i decide go down by myself bring all my luggage and handbag, when i coming down, another few minutes they coming down also and said my room was empty...and he give me excuse "got guest ask to my friends wifi password " WTH !!! do you think its a team work or stupid work ? the only good is Ms.Vita helpful and friendly..

Front Office is very nice but bellman staff not so many, security staff very friendly, the room is big strong shower, hot water is very good but the need renovation, meeting room is very good and staff friendly and helpful, swimming pools is very nice and breakfast is very good so many choices. I will be back.

The management of this place is inferior to other best western hotels in Jakarta. The bedding was pilled up and old and uncomfortable to sleep on. I told housekeeping about this and they replaced my bedding with new ones that were acceptable. I saw 3 roaches in my room. That means there's an infestation in the walls. They need to eliminate room service for awhile and place roach motels to kill the roaches. They had an ethernet port in the room which was nice for those who need to work. The pool and gym were nice.

2 night stay at this hotel , the price is reasonable, spaces and clean, staff dan doorman is polite. The inly thing is too many mosquito at the sundal lounge and their cafe at lobby. Near to mangga square shopping mall. The morning breakfast is so so only.

The lifts for the hotel rooms are very slow and for some reason, no matter what time of day or night, the lifts stopped at levels 25 and 30 on every trip we made up to our room on level 32. We were in the hotel for 6 nights. It was most frustrating and even became a real annoyance. Other than the lifts, everything else was good value for money, the range of food available for breakfast is wonderful and the staff are always helpful and happy.

Hotel location and view is good. Near to some shopping area. but the shop all close very early. it is quite high and you can see the surrounding view clearly. Staff is helpful and able to communicate well in English. Check out with them all the good area that can go for shopping and enjoy in this area, you will get some good advise.

I booked the Hotel by internet, just before went back to France. When you arrived they will welcome you with welcome drink. We chose a smoking room (superior) for my father, when we entered at the room, the room was small and a bit dirty. We called the service hotel and asked to change the room, finally they moved us to the deluxe room, which was larger and clean. Also, they gave us afternoon tea service. Nice experience for the service and the room was comfortable.

Even though hotels surrounding looks like a slum, nothing to worry we had a pleasant stay and was very familiarized to that area. Very good location because many malls are at walking distance (ITC,WTC Mangga Dua,Carrefour). But most of the shopping malls are closing by 6.00pm except Carrefour until 9.00pm. Hotel rooms are small but ok for 3 nights stay. Breakfast was ok. Staff were very friendly. We got room at 33(last) floor. It was ok for us, but not good for families. Because you have to spend more time in lift. Better get a room in lower floor.

We chose to stay here because they said they had a pool and the pictures looked nice. We have two children so we were planning on spending our time around the pool for a couple of days. Upon our arrival, after check-in and payment, they informed us that the pool was under renovation and not available. They did not offer any compensation for this inconvenience. Although they apologized, it did not make up for the fact we paid to stay here based on the information provided on their website. Besides that, they have only two elevators accessible for their guests, so you end up waiting for a while to get up to your room. The breakfast was nice with many options for food and the staff were very helpful. Hang on to your silverware or they will take it from you even if you aren't finished with it! I used the fitness room once. The treadmills are decent, but other than that there are a handful of machines to use. Bring your own water container, there were no cups to fill. Getting a taxi is very simple from here, just ask the staff at the front of the hotel. We had two rooms and the AC in one never did get very cold. It was adequate but not cold.

Location near ancol and very near to any city attraction around there. the room is quite good, but the problem is theyvonly have 2 lift to reach the room. the breakfast is very boring, the taste got 7 for 10. the view was very good. and the staff is very nice, specially the manager, solve a problem bery fast and wise

I have stayed in BW Mangga Dua numerous times and the staff are generally very courteous. However the recent stay on the 18 Sept was rather disappointing as I was awoken at 2 am due to unusual smoke smell, which I later found out that the Hotel Maintenance did mozzie fogging exercise . Incidentally the choking smell entered my room at Room # 2918,couple with a closed windows , it was a choking gas chamber experience ! Though I complained to the Duty Manager in the morning, she could only laughed saying that is a common exercise ! The incident broke my sleep pattern and i wasn't able to have a good rest for the rest of the morning . To the management of BW Mangga Dua , which carries a reputable hotel chain name , any common sense person would have taken necessary steps to ensure that fumes from the fogging exercise do not enter the aircondition system. So please use more common sense and no re occurrence of such event happening again .. ! I hope to stay again in BW Mangga Dua on my next trip but the recent experiences just put me off.

Large hotel, 33 floors, Very clean, large rooms, great staff. Very large restaurant but a little pricey. Hotel is really good value and comfortable. Really nice bed and best sleep I've had in a long time. Great showers. Room had sitting area, small sofa and coffee table, kettle and instant coffee and tea. About 3 blocks to large discount shopping centres but not the most attractive location. But I felt safe. Taxi drivers outside try to hustle overpriced fares. But hotel still has smoking rooms. WT??

Best western i stayed 3 nights and really good from the part of service food friendly staff. I visited in the month of September from 6 to 9. Really very nice stay and comfort. Near the hotel famous museum and mangaa dua square.
