Best Western Plus Jacksonville West

This BW is on the west side of Jacksonville, that is the only reason we booked it. The reviews were fair, at best, but it was clean , the staff was helpful and friendly and it was conveniently located. Room 301, a king suite was clean and the bed was comfortable. NO COMPLAINTS GO NOLES

I was traveling for business and received multiple packages to the hotel. The staff was great, they found a place for me to store all my inventory until I needed it each day. They offered a later check out time also! Everyone from check in to check out was kind and courteous. The room was kept clean and stocked with the amenities!

Wall behind front desk reminded of checking into a ghetto hotel -- marks all over and in much need of paint and updating. The king bed MATTRESS in room 408 NEEDS TO BE REPLACED!! THERE WERE MULTIPLE DIRT MARKS AND STAINS ON IT. Also, the mattress was in the shape of a birdbath! The bed linens were all clean. The continental breakfast was one of the worst I ever had! Will not stay here again--there are much better choices.

MOST of the staff were nice. The room was clean. The breakfast lady emily was AWESOME. The location was great as a few places to eat were close by and it was close to the freeways. The price was not bad either

This hotel always has reasonable prices, clean rooms and a very friendly staff. We're always greeted by professional staff who recognize us as regular guests. We are honors members with Hilton but prefer the cleanliness, hospitality, and great service at Best Western.

The Service was excellent its the best hotel experience we've had in the passed 12 month I wish the staff and the hotel location could be every where we travel and wish every one whom chooses a Best Western stay could experience what we experienced we are well Pleased and will return more and more a Customer for life

Even though the hotel was under renovation, they put us on the floor where the renovations were taking place. There was a dust everywhere, there was furniture hall in the hallways, and obscene drawings visible to my children when they came out of the room. The TV was getting no signal so I reported it to the front desk. The woman at the front desk told me I must have done something to the TV to make it not work since it worked the night before. I told her I had not touched the TV, but she said it was obvious that I had because it was not working now. She yelled at me and hung the phone up. I went down to the desk and To clarify the problem with the TV. Again I was treated with hostility. After 2 hours someone finally came up to the room to look at the TV. The repair person after looking at the TV said that the input jack had gone bad on the TV and he just had to switch the inputs. He stated that this was a common problem with the T v's they have. Call the customer care line to explain the problem. Was told they would have a resolution for me in 5 to 7 days. Seems that it's pretty difficult to resolve a problem after you've already checked out from the hotel. Would not recommend this hotel or this chain.

The property: musty smell, trash a lot around,dirty rooms. Bad experience, not bath tissue on my room , trash in my room from another guest, . Friendly Staff, , you can walk just 400ft and go to another hotels ,holiday Inn or Marriott, big mistake my booking in this hotel .

I would classify this as just an average stay……possibly a little below average. Hotel is showing its age, furniture is well worn with scratches and chair & ottoman in room was filthy and in bad need of a good cleaning. Bathroom seemed clean but very tiny. Door just missed bumping into the toilet and you had to shut the door to move around in the bathroom. Bed was comfortable and staff was nice. Breakfast was simple but adequate.

We booked in advance for early check-in. Surprisingly at check-in was told I could not check in till after 3 pm. Canceled right on the spot. The front desk rep (senior lady with white-blond hair) confirmed she canceled our room. SHOCKED the card was billed anyways. Drove back to the hotel (extra time, gas, and miles) to confirm this was done. Illegal charge as this was canceled in person and was told not only did the rep not cancel the room but she marked the reservation as NO CALL NO SHOW. Poor business and unethical practices! Will not stay here. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

From check-in to check-out the customer experience was outstanding. I was provided with outstanding customer service and my loyalty to Best Western was acknowledged with a room upgrade. The hotel was very clean as was the room. Its in and ideal location, within walking distance of a restaurant fast food eateries and a grocery store.

Property has change within a year from our last visit. We all discussed this visit and agreed not to return to this location since we can afford better. This property was very nice and clean, and it didn't seem like a best western. It was a very upscale Best Western with quality amenities and the service was still good. Last year was great, but this year is an end to this annual stay there. I will not go back.

The young lady who checked us in was very sweet . The room was huge ,the bed was comfy, air condition was cold . The room was clean, bed sheets smelled really fresh . If we're ever that way again, we're staying there !!

The word "PLUS" should mean something special, but don't bother with this hotel, as there are MANY on the same street. It was the worse Best Western Hotel ever. The place old & worn out from Workout facility to your room and breakfast. Will admit that the bed was somewhat comfortable.

I must say the staff was friendly and accommodating, they can't help where they work. The cleaning crews worked with what they have, trying to mask the smell in the hallways and rooms. But when it come down to it the building is old and so is the furnishings. The aged old smell lingers. I had to buy a fabreeze spray to mask the smell for the days I was there. It truly needs to be remodeled. Not a place I would stay again.

Donna at the desk was awesome. Great loca . Rooms fine - it was a quick stay and and didn't want to spend a lot of money on a room. This was perfect and great location. Recommend the sushi place next to Winn Dixie

Despite five floors and full capacity, this Best Western was quiet. Room amenities (desk with chair, Wi-Fi, comfortable bed, upholstered chair, frig, microwave) made our room a little oasis from the I-95 driving we had done all day on our way to Florida. Staff was helpful, friendly. Room and other areas were clean.

Wanted to see my family in florida, hotels were booked up and others were over priced my thoughts, BW had some competitive rates that i couldn't pass up, that was my first time staying there and it was in the perfect spot for me coming in town and getting right off the higway.

Food was cold and rooms was not electronic capable, no USB connections. Manager was waiting for Best Western to send out new heating for food. Should be able to buy and install instead of waiting for BW to provide. Lamps could be provided with USB connections to bring hotel up to standers.

Big stains on wall in room, Obvious décor on wall was missing, crack but not leaking in sink, the handle on the shower was one pull away from falling off, elevator was absolutely scary to be in. To just name a few issues and not just in my room as we had 3

Check in was really bizarre. The receptionist talked really fast and in low tone and didn't even make eye contact. Asking her to repeat herself I got more of the same. I asked for a room on the 4th floor away from elevators, ice machines etc and she said the entire 4th floor was sold out. So she put me on the second floor and when I went to the room I was directly across from the elevator; I had ridden approx 400 miles and was too tired to go back downstairs and go through that again. The room wasn't too bad, the foot stool had big circular stains on it and there was no “do not disturb” sign. The breakfast, well I opted for a simple bowl of cereal and even while eating that the attendant sat in the breakfast room with something blaring from his cell phone.

We stay at this hotel when we visit our daughter. It is close to her and affordable. We like the location, close to highway and Cracker Barrel, the amenities(internet and breakfast), in room microwave and frig. The king size bed was very comfortable. The room was clean. When we asked for anything there was no problem. We have stayed at this facility at least 2 times before.

Outdated but it was great for our families needs. It was quiet which was great. Close to a Cracker Barrel. My only real hiccup was the hostess at the front desk. She wasn't very friendly at all and seemed like guests were disrupting her day. I watched one guest stand at the desk when I went out to my car and then about 10 or so minutes later was still standing at the desk while the girl was in the office on her phone. Customer service means alot to me since I've been in the industry for a while. We have been staying at Hilton's and Marriots and was looking to switch to a different brand. My parents had always stayed in Best Westerns when I was a kid so I thought we would give them a chance.

Bring your wall adapter to charge your phone. And don't expect internet working on the day of checkout. Othern than that, the staff is awesome! Food is standard, but easy access to I10 which makes it easy to get on and off.

We had a great room accept it only had a shower with no grab bars. Staff was friendly. We were located right off the elevator which was great. Breakfast was hot and awesome. Would stay again. Thanks for a good visit.

The room itself was nice, but the customer service was terrible. The people at the front desk were to busy either playing on their phones or making personal phone calls to be bothered. I will not stay here again.

From the Outside, the Hotel looks good- but inside, it needs a face-lift- air conditioning system was confusing , causing it to be either too hot or cold, the furniture from a distance looks ok, but on close inspection, stains were slightly visible and in the bathroom, tub and floor shows signs of wear. My biggest problem with this Hotel was the lack of COVID preparation, front desk does have plexiglass and staff wore masks, but I only saw 1 dispenser of hand sanitizer in the entire hotel right next to the lobby elevator. We had to request that our room be cleaned and more towels be provided- we had the Family Suite, which could sleep 6 and only was provided with towels for 2 people, even though we had notified them of the # of people who were staying in the room. On the plus side - all of the hotel staff we met were very nice and friendly and helpful when we encountered them

There are other hotels in the area. Pick one of those. Even for a value priced this is severely lacking in modern appeal and amenities. Decor needs an overhaul desperately. Not tech or business friendly at all.

Great location and excellent service. Pool and gym very very nice and breakfast was limited but very accommodating. Housekeeping was polite and exceeded expectations. We enjoyed our stay and will stay again

We had stayed here before and been very impressed. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. Our disappointment came with the breakfast. The sign says 6 - 9. We arrived at 8:30 and there was coffee and cereal and fruit. Signs stating to make your own waffle, top your yogurt and oatmeal but nothing. I know we are in a different world now but either have something or remove the signs. The counters were dirty. I went to the front desk to ask if that was all and she informed me that she had put out a couple of trays of pastries and everyone must have taken them. I told her if the sign says 9, there should be food until 9. She could have cared less. Several people came in after us to see NO FOOD. My rating is low strictly due to the attitude of the front desk, the lack of breakfast food, and the dirty breakfast counters.

We arrived VERY late - took a shower, slept for about 4hrs and left before breakfast. All I remember is the bed was very comfortable (or we were extremely tires). We did have to utilize the sofa bed, which there were no extra pillows, sheets or blankets in the room to use for the sofa bed, so we had to go the the lobby and wait for them to track down those extra items - which was slightly irritating since it was late and we were tired.

Sent email not happy want a refund not credit. Ac was broke didn't have another room to give us until the next day... that room was hot... had to ask.for sheets for the pull out bed ... they had to lock a two beds.... had to be moved to a room.that need queen beds...... pull.out bed had strains... no comforters

When we first arrived we waited for 15 minutes for someone to come to the front desk and check us in. There was hair on our bathroom floor and bugs in our room. My partner asked someone who worked there for an extra towel and she said no. We had to share a towel. Very dissatisfied.

I love staying at Best Western normally because you know what to expect. Not anymore! The bedding was Terrible. The bed squeaked so loudly anytime you moved and it was slanted from right to left. Check in was a mess. I tried to book one but was not able to get past the verification process. So when we got to the hotel, she gave me a price which was $20.00 more than the online price. I tried again in front of her to book online to get the better price but again, could not get through the verification. She said she couldn't do anything to help me. After 20 minutes of me getting frustrated trying to get past the verification she finally said she would go ahead and give me the online price. If she had the ability to do that why make me work at it for 20 minutes saying there was nothing she could do. I'm done with Best Western. This happened to me the last time too and there quality has gone down. Too bad! There are so many other places to stay.

I was unable to get back in my room due to the card reader not working. The onsite maintenance was extremely rude and disrespectful to my 2 children. We were made like we were liars as to the malfunction of the door and the guy acted as if he couldn't get in, which my personal belongings, to include my purse was in the room. The maintenance guy had to use a crowbar to BREAK into the room, which we were later moved to another room, although I told the sweet front desk lady, to just give me a refund and I will stay elsewhere. The manager did comp the room and apologized, but the disrespect and damage was already done. We were there for a baby shower and I regret changing from staying in the Holiday Inn next door. I have never stayed in Best Western, but this has ruined me from future stays!!

Most friendliest staff and very clean .Great location,stores within distance from hotel.Variety of options.Great place to stay if we needed anything the staff made sure you were taken care of.No complaints.This is my 2nd stay. Definitely will be back

Reserved a room to get some peace from home. When I got there I asked to stay a 2nd night and they didn't want me to stay even one night because I live local and said they have been having problems with locals but THIS TIME they would let me stay!

We arrived at the hotel at 7:30 pm. To my surprise, the front desk staff had to go check the room to see if it was cleaned yet. When I walked into the room it looked ok but then I saw the bench seat was filthy. It looked like someone used it as a bathroom months ago. The shower walls had a lot of mold and one of the bathroom lights didn't work. I stayed in 5 different hotels recently and this was by far the worst. Upon check out, this was also the only hotel that didn't ask how my stay was. There are multiple other hotels nearby that I'm sure are better options.

Made reservations on the 2nd for a check in on the 17th. Get a E-Mail on the 16 stating everything is GOOD TO GO. Show up around 4:30 to check in and was told that WE COULD NOT CHECK IN BECAUSE WE LIVED LOCAL and they were having a lot of problems with LOCAL People. After a exchange of pleasantries with the front desk clerk I ask to speak to a manager ( NONE AROUND) So one was called on the phone, I spoke to her and expressed my NO BEING A HAPPY PERSON and was told it was a policy just put into affect. Once again I ask for a PHONE CALL to be made, This time to corporate, at that point I was told we could stay. So the check in was completed. From that point on every time we went through the lobby we were treated like we were UNWANTED. What was suppose to be a 3 day stay turned into a less than 48 hours. The room was NICE The Staff, LET'S JUST SAY COULD USE A LOT MORE TRAINING. I did 20 years in the military and stayed in HOTELS and MOTELS all over the world and was treated like dirt at this one. They couldn't get me to stay here again FOR FREE.

Just outside of Jacksonville with easy access to interstate going Into the city. Rooms were comfortable and the pool is Basically private with it facing the rear parking lot and woods. The staff was very helpful and extremely friendly

We paid $112 for this room!! These are only a few pictures issues of the poor quality of this room....we were here with baseball team, but I can assure you we won't be returning as a family.....especially when they had atleast 10 weeks to make improvements due to Covid 19....

We stayed here for one night after going to St Augustine and Jacksonville Beach. The front desk was nice, room was clean, king bed was comfy, suite had a pullout couch. 2 tvs, clean bathroom. Right by the interstate and unbelievably quiet. Multiple restaurants and gas station nearby. I will definitely stay again!

This hotel was rundown with lack of proper maintenance. Upgrades were sloppily completed Hotel staff was friendly and helpful with places to see while visiting Northern Florida. Breakfast was average.

Stayed for several days , check in was fine and the room was clean. Parking area was small and always had to park in the back and walk around to enter the building . Winn Dixie grocery store was close by as well as several sit down and fast food restaurants . It was a good value for what you get.

Convenient to I10 and 295, comfortable. Hard to park a large vehicle, as a utility crew was filling up the lot. Nice breakfast, but go out for coffee. Lots of restaurants and a Winn Dixie right next door.

Great hotel and staff was very friendly and Mantiance person was great manager was very great at her job all personal was great house keepers all was asked if we need anything all ways coffee maid rooms nice and clean

We stayed here and found the bed quite comfortable. We had a suite. It was well lit. It was a little dated but was fine. The breakfast wasn't so good as the eggs were hard......too much time in the microwave I think.

The hotel is out of date and the price does not make up for this. The room I was in had a foul odor and if a problem occurs in the middle of the night the staff may not be able to fix it. I stay in lots of places and this one rates a 2 out of 10.

Ok stay, but room I stayed in needed some new furniture and carpet. It looked the room was as clean as it could get, but just smelled old. I didn't ask to switch rooms, but was told by colleagues that's why they didn't want to stay there. I just wanted to stay loyal to Best Western brand and gave it a shot

First time stopping at this location. As a snowbird, needed a last stop before getting back home in Tampa Area. It's not out of the way, just off I-10 West of Jacksonville. Room was clean, free WiFi and quiet. You can actually feel safe, because CSS railroad employees stay there and are coming and going at all hours of the day and night. Friendly front desk, Donna is a blast to talk to. She has that real Southern Twang. Free breakfast was very good with a good selection of food. Room coffee was not good but go to the breakfast room for a good cup of Columbian coffee. Most of all, plan to eat at the Mexican Restaurant in the shopping center one block away. It'd the real deal...The name is Cinco De Mayo. This whole stop will be a regular for us every year as we travel back to our southern home.

Located in a nice, safe area just a short distance from I-10. The rooms were clean and smelled fresh. Bed slept well. Adequate hot breakfast. Internet worked well. Outdoor pool and fitness center but did use these. Two restaurants close to the hotel.

Room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. A/C was a little difficult to get just right. Decent breakfast and front desk personnel were nice. Could not get a room with balcony, but they upgraded to a suite. It was a convenient location for us and close to restaurants, grocery, and gas.

From the outside and in the lobby, the hotel property appears to be well-kept and very nice. However, that's where it ends. My room was poorly cleaned and prepared. Cleaning materials were left in the bathroom (including a wet shower cap in the sink), dirt and make-up marks on the walls, and the entire room smelled of rotten food because the fridge was not properly cleaned. Even though I reserved the room for two guests, we only received one hand towel, one bath towel, and no washcloths. The staff was not welcoming or friendly in any way. During peak check-out time, the lobby staff member was taking cigarette breaks outside every 5 minutes, consistently leaving the front desk unoccupied and guests waiting. I have no idea what the "Plus" in the name indicates, because there was nothing positive about this stay. I highly recommend checking out the accommodations next door before booking here.

Air Conditioner did not work properly and room was hot even though it was set at 54 degrees, elevator was not functioning (Had to walk up and down several flights of steps with broken foot) and cleaning lady did not speak or understand English. When requesting she take the trash and provide clean towels, she walked away and never came back.

Not sure how or what gives this hotel a Plus rating. We stayed for 4 nights and never experienced a Plus. We are Diamond reward members, so when we booked this Plus hotel our expectations were predicated from other Best Western Plus hotels. We arrived early evening and the young man behind the desk was not the happy employee. He barely spoke as he checked us in. Okay, everyone has a bad day. And, we typically get a room upgrade, maybe this courtesy is specific to certain hotels? I'm not sure. On we go, from mediocre to “oh no”! Our king room was small and oddly shaped. We were given a room right next to the elevator (oh joy!), so the room had a long entrance hall with a small space for the bed and the typical pieces of furniture. The room is just flat out awkward. But it appeared to be clean although the carpet is worn. The bathroom walls had toothpaste splatter and dirty hand prints. Uck. And the tiled shower had mold in the grout with a shower head in need of deliming. Yes disappointing. But the clincher was the shower itself. The shower stall was deep. So deep that you couldn't turn on the water without getting drenched with a blast of cold water. After a couple of days we developed a technique to use the towel to hit the faucet, get the water started and then bolt before getting wet. Oh yeah, and we only got 2 towels each day. Yep, it was that kind of visit. Never again.

I've stayed at a dozen or more, and this Best Western is the best so far. Modern, clean, safe-feeling, and very quiet. Any problems encountered were minor (spa pump on order, room clock inoperative). Highly recommend.

This was our first experience with the Best Western chain, but it certainly will not be our last! We were so pleased with the location, staff, cleanliness of our room, hot breakfast, hotel interior and exterior. We had been at the HOT ball field the entire day so getting checked in in a speedy and thorough manner was a huge plus! We found everything we needed within walking distance (although we drove in the rain!). There is a gas station, a Cracker Barrel, a beverage shop and the most amazing authentic Mexican restaurant close to the hotel among several other places. I would recommend this hotel and will definitely stay again when we are back at the Jacksonville fields.

This property was a great value for the price we paid. Staff were great. The breakfast was okay. The bathroom looked new. The bedroom looked a little worn and outdated, but it was clean. The wireless was great, and the price couldn't be beat.

Check in was great. The room was adequate for the price. At check out I asked for a receipt, and was told I would get it from Hotels.com since that was who booked. I told them I needed a hotel receipt so I could get reimbursed for the stay, from my company. They did not care. I have never stayed at a hotel that did not give a receipt at checkout and I use Hotels.com all the time but the Best Western is the only one that did not offer a receipt even after I asked and explained my need. My company will now refuse stays for any of our people traveling.

My mom, daughter, nephew, and I stopped here on our way to Myrtle Beach. The front desk staff was very nice. The room (queen double suite) was clean and large enough to accommodate us. I have no complaints. It was a good value for the price.

Trash in our bathroom, took it to front desk. Young man did look up from his phone and took the trash bag to put it aside. the safe in the closet was totally dead, no comment from desk clerk. Little egg patties were pitiful. breakfast ????

We were late arrival upon check-in, at 1am, the lady at the front desk was very professional and polite, with all smiles! We needed that after being in traffic for hours in Atlanta! We had a Family Suite which had 1 room with a King Bed and its own TV, and the other room with Bunk Beds and its own TV. The only downfall was that the TV in the Bunk Bed Room wouldn't work, said no connection? The room itself was very roomy and nice! We also had a desk and a couch. For the price it was a great deal! The beds were very comfortable and we slept great! The only other downfall was the next morning when we took showers; the drain was stopped up very bad and while taking a shower we had to stand in dirty water :( didn't like that. All in all we were just there to sleep a little bit, and shower. If we are ever needing a hotel in this same area again, we'd give them another try!

Due to a family emergency we had to stay in a hotel for almost a week. We had previously stayed at this location and were happy to stay at this location again. The staff, Sheryl, Donna and the young man that worked nights were so helpful and concerned for our sick loved one. The housekeeping staff was awesome, always cleaning the room spotless and leaving extra towels. We stayed in a suite and were always very comfortable with a little mini bar and separated bedroom from the living area. Breakfast was always tasty and the lady overseeing it was always a welcome sight in the morning. Hotel is well light and the beds are awesome.

Best Western needs to step up their game. Lobby was clean and nicely decorated. We had a room with two queen beds. Upon entering the room, it was quite musty smelling. Turning on the AC helped. The bathroom was extremely small with a postage stamp shower. The faucet at the sink was very loose and there were stains all around the mirror. The sink and toilet tank cover were cracked. Breakfast was okay, but the fruit was overripe and we would have liked more healthy options. We chose this property since it was about $20 cheaper than the other hotels in close proximity. It was not worth the savings.

The hotel was very clean. Rooms are very nice.Staff was very courteous, friendly & accomodating. Breakfast has a lot of options to choose from. Within walking distance to Winn Dixie grocery store, Cracker Barrel, Wendy's, Family Dollar, strip mall with Subway, Mexican & Chinese Restaurants, Nail Salon & Barber Shop. Would stay here again.

This motel was a good value for the area. There is a Cracker Barrell and several nice hotels nearby. The room was clean and quiet. Desk staff were friendly. Breakfast was ok but limited. We would stay again if in Jacksonville.

The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and helpful. It is in a safe location and I feel safe staying here. This is our 5th time staying here. I love the fact that breakfast is at 6 am so when we stay we can have breakfast before the swim meet. It is close to the aquatic center. Cracker Barel is super close as is I-10, Not far from Normandy Bulvd either. Over all great hotel. They also have joining suites for large family trips

Hotel was clean, easy to get to, staff was great, and breakfast was as expected. Hotel did need some upgrading however overall satisfied. Did not have any problems. Having a grocery store down the road was nice too.

We noticed when we check in that the bath room had a tub not a walk in shower which limited my wife in getting in and out by herself. Also the shower head was of the type mounted to the wall instead of being the type that could have been adjustable for height. The shower head also didn't function fully due to mineral build up inside the head which limited the amount of water coming through the pin points. Recommended that they use some one with knowledge of what being handicap is due a complete evaluation of their handicap rooms to be in compliance with the Disabilities Act of 1993. Every hotel that we have stayed in seems to have this same misconception as to what is required to be in compliance.

I stayed in a suite while on a family wedding trip with both an 80+ AND a 90+ years old family member who were both delighted with the room and the service from the staff. Quiet, clean and close to highway it was perfect for our family .

I Love the service me and my Husband recieve at best western he is Disable and they always made great provision for us.I would recommend, the Best Western to any senior couple with disablity to stay with BW, they have a very caring staff.

Clean. Small pool. Breakfast lady is kinda rude.... she mumbles under her breath about how messy people are while cleaning up the counters. Good breakfast for a hotel and for it to be free. There is meat, eggs and gravy as well as other options that should satisfy anyone. Was not able to get a port a crib. Even though their website and pamphlet in the room says they have them.

One night stay. Building is undergoing renovations, so the the floors are new, but furniture is not. Clean and well supplied. Construction noise until 7pm, although not too loud. Overnight noise was nonexistent, so we had a good night's rest. Desk clerk was very friendly. Smoke detector was chirping in our room and maintenance replaced battery immediately. Breakfast was good, well stocked. Biscuits were tough. Breakfast attendant was very friendly and efficient. Would rate 4 stars after renovations are completed.

Stayed here many times, it never disappoints. Always clean, always friendly, always easy access to the Jacksonville terminal and the breakfast is something that I can appreciate. Easy access with a varitey of restaurants, gas, and a full-size supermarket. Love it.

Always enjoy this hotel - Check in and out is easy and quick. Rooms are clean and comfortable with microwave and frig as extra pluses. The staff is always friendly and I enjoy the complimentary breakfast. There's a nice pond out front if going for a walk, and there are other stores that are a quick drive & within walking distance - grocery, convenience/gas, fast food.

Upon checking in to this fine location. The desk lady was kind proficient, friendly and professional. She located me where i wanted to be, including a free upgrade. This lady is an asset to the chain and deserves management, I travel extensively in sales and know a good stay when i have one. this location was like being home. i enjoyed my stay, thanks to the lady that checked me in. i will stay here again while in the area.

Great experience, with friendly staff! The family suite was spacious, a definite plus, the room was clean, and the king bed slept great. We would choose this best western again over the other hotels at the chaffee rd exit, close enough to Jax and convenient to restaurants! Thank you

I stayed with my husband during a business trip and arrived earlier than expected. I was just going to wait in the lobby while he went to work, but the front desk staff went out of their way to find a room that was ready and got me in as soon as one was cleaned. The room itself was clean and the bed was comfortable. My only complaint was that the linens on the bed were torn in several places. The breakfast served daily was good, with a variety of items including egg patties, bacon, yogurt and waffles. Not a luxury hotel, but clean and comfortable.

Either a newly constructed hotel or recently went through upscale upgrades. Very clean and in a good area. Close to stores and restaurants (all within walking distance). Very friendly and professional staff. Our room had all you would need. Coffee maker, fridge, microwave, hair dryer, iron/ironing board etc. Nice furniture, pillow top bedding. A walk-in shower that was roomy even for a big man. They even have a guest laundry! We even worked out in the exercise gym. Everything about this stay was great.

We have stayed a lot of places good and bad, but really like this motel. It is back off the road so it is very quiet yet it is close to lots of food and shopping. The room was very clean and the walk in shower great.

My sister in law stayed at this hotel. I must admit, we almost did not stay due to lack of reviews. I'm glad we did. The hotel is in Orange Park, a light turn off the interstate. It's on an end road. There is another hotel, family dollar, Crackel Barrel and another building on the same road. Housekeeping missed our room the last day we were there.

Front desk staff was excellent - friendly, informative and cheerful; rooms were clean and bright; items offered for breakfast were acceptable; beds comfortable and access to restaurants, fuel and shopping was nearby. We were there for a national go-kart race and found the location perfect. ...But I have never experienced a slower elevator!

Easy access right off the 10, the staff is attentive and caring. Usually has cookies (cookie oven broken this time) and everyone is very friendly and accommodating. I've stayed here before, and I will again.

We stayed here from Tuesday-Saturday while visiting FL for Spring Break. I called ahead of time to see what kind of suites they offered. (Traveling with a teenager who likes his own space). We ended up getting a family suite for about $111 a night. This hotel is located right off the interstate. There is a strip mall within walking distance. The strip mall has a Chinese food place, grocery store, ABC store and a few other shops. There's a family dollar, another hotel, and a Cracker Barrel on the road of the hotel. The hotel sits on a dead end street Check in was a breeze. Our room was very spacious and clean. The family suite includes an extra bedroom equipped with bunk beds, chair, separate AC unit, dresser, and TV. Perfect for extra travelers. The main bedroom and a desk, table, sofa, fridge and microwave. The fridge was NOT on when we arrived so it took quite some time for our drinks and snacks to cool. Our stay was quite enjoyable until the very LAST day. We usually sleep in and don't get our room cleaned. We'll just ask for extra towels and toilet paper as needed. We requested housekeeping on Friday as we would be gone for most of the day. Saturday morning (check out) comes and we are preparing to take showers and there are NO wash cloths. Maybe the housekeeper forgot. Ok. I see a house keeper in the hallway and ask for some but she doesn't have any. I called the front desk and they said they'd send some right up. 10 minutes later, a young lady knocks on the door with the wash cloths. As she turns to leave I asked her for one more because I requested 2 and she only gave me one. Without even turning around to talk directly to me, she says “I don't have any more, I'll bring the other one later”. It's 10am. Checkout is at 11. What time is later? Her nasty attitude was definitely uncalled for. Other than that, our stay was great!

Good Location. Just outside of town but right off the highway and near a plaza with stores and food. Good Hotel. Free parking. Great Service. Great breakfast. Lobby needs work but lots of potential. Fitness room needs work.

Stopped overnight during travel. Quiet, nice clean room. Comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Ample restaurants in surrounding area. The breakfast was ok. I have had better but was not bad either. The price is moderate and reasonable. I would stay here again.

We have stayed hear for 5 years on our trip to Florida. Management needs to keep a close eye on everything. Chipped paint .in the bathroom. TWO skinny towels. My wife was not amused! Half hour check in due to computer problems. On the good side: Excellent breakfast, New rugs (finally) throughout the hotel.

We needed a good night of rest after a day of traveling. While the Best Western was at the far end of the motels area at this exit off I-10, it was the best value. Definitely deserves the "Plus" rating by Best western. Only downer is the choice of eateries is not wide, though there is a Japanese place and some good American pub grub. We would stay again, but stop somewhere else for the southern BBQ we hoped to eat.

We liked staying here. The location is excellent for our trips to visit family. There is a pretty good place to eat very close. The grocery store nearby is also pretty good. We liked how nice everything was and thought that the price for the room was very reasonable.

Coming from Atlanta this motel works out excellently for us. It shortens our trip, we don't have to drive through Jacksonville traffic at the end of the trip, and the people are personable, the motel is quiet, and close to restaurants. On cruise day, it is a short drive to the terminal.

This hotel offered a good value for this area at the time of our travel. Room as good size with king bed. Bathroom vanity and counter space was especially roomy. My husband and I could us the bathroom mirror at the same time. One sink but lots of vanity space. Nice updated shower stall. Breakfast okay; included with room.

Stayed here based on reviews but reader beware! Old run down hotel. Supposedly no smoking, no pets, however we tried a couple rooms before finding one w/o an odor that we could live with. Caters to working men who don't care about smoking policies. Check in person was not personable or all that friendly. Cleaning people didn't speak english. Stained bedding. Bath towels were thin oversized hand towels. Definitely worth paying $30.00 /night more at another hotel. Live and learn.

Checking in was very nice. They had everything waiting for us. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was very, very good. We would return there for sure. They had some very good resturants very close to the hotel.

Needed a place to stay overnight off I-10 West while enroute to Florida Gulf Coast. Other hotels in this neighborhood were $40-45 pricier than the Best Western and this was our main reason for staying there. This is an older hotel and the rooms need refurbishing. Old furniture in bedroom but bed was very comfortable. All this being said, the hotel is clean and well-maintained. Very friendly and helpful staff at check-in. Good free breakfast-good variety of hot and cold items. In summary, while this hotel is far from upscale it is clean and suitable for an overnight stay. And the room rates are much more affordable than at the neighboring hotels.

Staff was pleasant and friendly and very concerned with my comfort on this stay! Traveled cross country from San Diego to east coast twice 2 years ago and had very good service in all states where I stayed. Highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is convenient off Rt. 10. The rooms are clean but may need some updates. The staff is good, especially the breakfast lady who was very helpful especially with my handicaps. The front desk personnel were very helpful also.

Weekend stay due to Wedding in the area. I would not have put this hotel under the BW " PLUS" choices. Don't get me wrong, they are fixing it up, our room was clean with very comfortable beds, and the staff was very nice and accommodating to our requests. But we were NOT informed that they are under major renovation! No carpeting in the halls and furniture in the hallway, not to mention the workers outside our door gluing down carpet pads at 7 am after a late arrival. The towels were paper thin and looked as if they came from an old Holiday Inn. I don't feel that we got what we paid for, as the rates were the same as the other hotels in the area. If we didn't have a wedding to go to, I would have switched to a different hotel with my family.

There are a few rooms to rent, but one gets to them walking through a maze of mattresses, furniture, workmen and materials!!! Our room had been redone. New carpet, walk in shower and window treatments. VERY noisy under window fan unit. Needed it to run because of new carpet smell!! Door to hallway difficult to open from inside or out. May have bowed with construction.

Needed a room in the area for a night. Was clean, friendly and not outdated. I would stay here again when needing a room for the night in this area. Breakfast was good and the room was clean. We enjoyed our stay here.

I tend to stay at this location in Jax every chance I get. Centrally located, good value. Will recommend to family and friends. I really have nothing more to add. Darn it, I need to get off my computer, have an appointment.

We stayed here for one night, and were pleased. the BW is on a strip with other more expensive rooms, but was totally satifactory. Near to cracker Barrell and other shopping, and ideal location off I-10.

Great location off I10. Great service, clean, and cheap. Some of the renovations are not the nicest ( chipped paint and overlapped paint) but they did not affect our stay. We would defiantly stay again as needed!

What a nice surprise! Very nice room, large walk in shower and very quiet facility. The free breakfast was the thing that made this a better than average motel. Not only was there a larger than normal variety of items, but the floor manager-Patsy-was right on top of every detail. As soon as someone took a roll, she would bring a fresh one from the kitchen. She gave everyone a big smile and good morning when they arrived. Very refreshing.

We live two miles from this Best Western.. Hurricane Irma knocked out the power for seven days, lucky we found a room. We were very satisfied with these accommodations, beds were very comfortable and the hotel very clean. Yes, we would stay here again . You will not be dissatisfied with this area , it's in walking distance to Cracker Barrel.

I just stayed at this hotel as I had to evacuate due to Hurricane Irma. I have to say that it was the best hotel experience!! The hotel is very well-maintained and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I was most impressed by the quality of the room which was the most spacious hotel room that I have ever stayed in. In spite of the strong winds outside from the hurricane, the sound proofing was so good that I barely heard any noise. Also the breakfast was excellent!! I would highly recommend this hotel!!

The overall experience was awesome! This was the cheaper option among the other hotels in the circle, however the experience did not indicate that. The room was clean, the breakfast was good, and the staff was pleasant. This hotel is located 12 min from WW Motorsports Park which was the primary reason for my stay. I will certainly stay here again when I come back to race. There were also great amenities nearby, such as Winn Dixie, Cracker Barrel within 2 min walking distance, also good selection of fast food eateries.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. However, the carpet in the room itself was so dingy that I was afraid to go barefoot. It had been vacuumed but really needed a deep cleaning. The bed was pretty good. If you're tired and don't want a motel, this is okay.

We needed a place close to family that would accommodate a family of 5. The interiors could use some updating and cleaning... but it served its purpose for what we needed. Bathroom was very clean and beds were comfortable.

Room was not clean, A/C did not work very well, bathroom vanity counter was cracked, full breakfast was horrible. Contacted front desk about A/C not working properly, no one ever checked on the A/C unit

Hotel was clean, comfortable, staff was very helpful, and breakfast was very good. We stayed as a family and needed extra linens for the pull-out, staff was very attentive with our late night needs. We had a suite-beds were comfortable and the air worked great.

The hotel was restful and quiet. The breakfast varied and served by one of the warmest servers. The check in needs some retraining since i was given keys to someone else's room when the host wrote down the wrong room number. thank goodness the guests were not there or we would all have been embarrassed. The rest of the stay was comfortable and I would go back again.

The employees were courteous and helpful, the place was very clean and the quality was good for the money.when I checked in the clerk was checking in a bachelor party, and much to my gratitude, she made sure I was not near them. The breakfast was fresh and there was a good variety. Check out was easy. The location was close to my brother and the interstate.

I enjoyed the proximity of this Best Western to I-95 and being able to walk to the Cracker Barrel Restaurant. You do have to loop around past the other motels in the area but it was still easy to find and the motel itself is new, clean and the staff was great.

Upon entry of room notified front desk that the room was stink with smoke. she said she would send someone. We left for the Wake service and returned, no one had been there. Called again and she brought an air purifier. Tired got ready for bed and the 2nd tv did not work nor the air conditioner. No maintenance person on site. Got ready for the funeral room still stink and hot. No other room to move to and no manager on site. worst stay ever

This was a great place to stay overnight. Our room was like a junior suite. The staff was very helpful and friendly and there were plenty of choices for eating out. The decor was bit bright ( bright orange) but aside from that I would highly recommend this hotel.

This is a great hotel for vacationing. Good breakfast, nice, large TV and good wifi. Service was professional and extremely proficient in English. Room was comfortable and well kept. Overall, a great stay.

The family suite is amazing!! We usually get a condo style room but this had a king suite with an adjoining room that had bunk beds!! I know right!!!! Our kids had their own space and were in heaven in their own room! This was an amazing experience that I have already called to ask which other best westerns offer a family suite.

The problem with Best Western is you never know what you're going to get. As of late, this hotel is one of the better Best Westerns when it comes to cleanliness, decor and atmosphere. It is well kept and maintained. Out bedroom was immaculate, breakfast was decent, and the personnel were helpful and friendly. HOWEVER, the wifi was not accessible--ended up having to use my phone as a hotspot. We were upgraded to a suite (Yay!), Neither phones in this suite worked--so in order to report that our wifi didn't work, the remote control didn't work, the door key didn't work, required for us to return to the front desk from our room on the 4th floor. Since Best Westerns are privately owned, my experience is that there isn't a quality standard, pricing, or consistent rating that you can count on from hotel to hotel in this brand.

Good for a one-night stay. Rooms are needing overall, tidy but not clean. Night table phone did not work, clock in room did not work. our room was unlocked when we arrived. There were no towels in the room and when we requested them we did not get any till 10:30 pm at night. They say they have gluten free options for breakfast but do not.

I've stayed here several times when I come to visit family. It's in a safe and convenient location. Very clean rooms and breakfast is pretty good. Pool is great. Staff is pleasant and overall price is good.

This hotel is in desperate need of renovating. When entering the lobby there was an odd smell, the hallways smelled nasty, and our room was overly fragranced. Whomever stayed in the room before us left a cup of cigarette butts on the balcony so housekeeping definitely didn't go there. The shower had a weird smell, carpet dirty and stained. Definitely not worth what I paid. Maybe $50 a night at most. Breakfast was ok.

Everything was great, except a couple staff needs more trainings. Christy, Shelby, Marina, Lenette and Ms Patsy was great and deserves a raise. Made our stay wonderful, also Ms Donna. The other staff just needs more training . The lady that checked us out also was great. Almost forgot she was also wonderful. Thanks ladies

This room had been occupied by construction workers and had been almost ruined. Good paying customers should not be put in a room like this. This Hotel needs to replace carpet, faucets and many things that are not up to date. Beds are very old and do not sleep well at all.

Hotel was good for the price, the room was clean except for several carpet stains. The bathroom was poorly lit and the fan and light are on the same switch which can get on your nerves. But not that bad would stay there again.

This was a new location for us after attending Rockville (A two day rock concert for the past few years) at Metropolitan park in Jacksonville's down town area (only a 20min drive). We found the hotel was easily accessible off the highway but far enough away from any noise. It was located next to a 24-hour gas station, little strip mall that had a subway's. Cracker barrel was just a walk away, everything that we needed was near by. Check-in was quick and efficient, Donna and everyone on staff we encountered was nice. We even received a free upgrade to one of their balcony rooms. Which was absolutely beautiful to wake up, have a cup of coffee, and sit on the balcony watching the ducks play in the pond. They offered free Wi-Fi, full hot buffet breakfast, parking, gym, pool. Everything was clean and well maintained. Very quiet and relaxing after a long day of rocking out.

The location was great with several restaurants nearby. Hotel interior appeared to be clean and well maintained. Breakfast was OK, but the room was too small. The outdoor pool was small with no towels. The hot tub was reported as not working but there were two children in it and it looked green,

Seemed everything aboit this place was a mess. They didn't have my reservation even though I booked on the BW website. Then, reveived a call telling me I had left clothes behind (yes I did...had booked three nights, instead of just the one that had just passed). Room decor is run down, carpet was filthy, AC noise pretty unbearable. Breakfast items lower quality than you'd find at Fairfield Inn or Hampton Inn. There HAVE to be better choices in the area!

Cleaning scent is too strong. So upon entering room, one gets that overpowering aroma. Beds are comfortable. No bathtub, but the shower stall has a good needlepoint shower that converts to pulse. Annoying beeping noise at several times throughout the night coming from possibly the parking lot area. Breakfast okay in small area. No butter found. Make your own waffles has a heart with BW in the middle. I rated service Very Good because at check in, no luggage cart was available, and the desk clerk (sorry I don't know his name) promptly found one for me.

We stayed here on our way to southern Florida. It was very clean. The rooms were large and nicely decorated. The service was good and the check in quick. It was a great location as just off the ring road. The morning breakfast was very good. We would definitely stop here again.

Traveling from Charleston to Fort Myers. Good half way stop. Excellent accommodations and often stay at this location. Recommend the Italian restaurant nearby that also gives a hotel discount. Enjoy the stay.

We stayed at the Best Western Plus Cecil Field Inn and Suites from March 17 to the 20th, 2017. We were in Florida for the Gatornationals in Gainesville. After much research prior to going to Florida, I thought that this hotel was the best option for us. It was a little bit of a drive back and forth to the racetrack, but it wasn't bad at all, and we got to enjoy some of the Florida countryside. The hotel was great. It is located just off I-10, but is located in a complex with a few other hotels. The grounds were beautiful with all the palm trees, and the hotel was very nice, too. Our room was clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. All the furniture looked in good shape. There was a walk-in shower which was nice. The only thing about that was I wish the shower would have had more little shelves for soap and stuff. Ours only had one shelf and it was a little crowded for the soap and a bottle of shampoo. But, it wasn't that much of a problem. The hotel staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast consisted of egg patties, sausage, biscuits and gravy. There was fruit, cereal, oatmeal, and many other things available. There was also a waffle iron. We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. I would not hesitate to stay there again next time we are in Jacksonville.

Not a very welcoming place to stay. I will definetly not come back. Smoking smell in the hallways. The ice machines are rusted. Will not recommend this hotel to anyone. This is my opinion as a frequent traveler around the US.

Really enjoyed our stay. Right next door to the Cracker Barrel Restaurant. Very clean and restful. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic for anyone stopping over before taking the 301.

Breakfast was good, dining staff very friendly, clean, comfortable environment. Rooms were clean, spacious, colorful and bright. Beds were very comfortable. Overall staff was patient, helpful, courteous.

One of the nicer hotels I've stayed at. Room is always clean and fresh towels daily. Directv and a nice tv is a pleasant surprise. Internet seems to come and go. Breakfast every morning with good selection. Bed is comfy and ac is cold. All staff is friendly. Only one elevator and it is slow as Christmas. Parking may seem to be an issue if it gets really packed. Can walk to Cracker Barrel next door and eat.

All was very good including breakfast, except for the cleaning solution odor in the room which caused me to be stuffed up and sneezing alot which in turn created some sleeping issues but it all cleared up after leaving the room for the day. The odor did not bother my room mate. The selection for breakfast was limited but what they had was very good. All this being said I was happy with our stay.

The rooms were spacious with a refrigerator and microwave. The rooms were nicely decorated, and the complementary hot breakfast was very good. The only negative was the clock in the room wasn't working due to a defective plug, and the fan in the bathroom wasn't working. Overall our stay was great, and I give this hotel high marks.

My family and I have been to Jax 3 times in the last year. The first two times we stayed at the Fairfield Inn that's 2 doors down, but this last time, they were booked so we stayed here. It's hard not to compare them to Fairfield since it's literally with walking distance. When we first checked in, the front desk attendant was very friendly, and she even upgraded us to a family suite when she saw we were a family of 5 for no additional charge. This was obviously a huge deal, and much appreciated, and I added a whole star just because of this. But honestly, this was the only time we felt the hotel offered great service. We stayed here for 4 nights, so I feel like we got a fairly good idea of how they run things. I noticed from other reviews on here that it's recommended to make sure you get a smoke free room. Our room was listed as smoke free, but it had an odor neutralizer sitting on the table that was turned all the way up, and at times my husband said he would notice a faint cigarette smell. I read multiple reviews about bad smells - cigarettes, mustiness, "skull" smell - what's the deal that they have such issues with keeping things smelling decent? I'm not sure I want to know the answer to that question. We have 3 young children, so as you can imagine, eating a meal isn't mess free. While the breakfast attendant wasn't necessarily rude, she made me feel guilty every time one of my children made a mess that needed cleaned up. I would try to clean it up myself but she made me feel like that wasn't the right thing to do either. I was not impressed with the breakfast selection either - mostly all sugary carbs, or "egg" like patties that were less than appetizing looking - but I know that they just serve what Best Western gives them and it's out of their control. I would love to see actual oatmeal, not instant packets that I have to microwave, or Greek yogurt, instead of no-name brand regular yogurt with a whopping 3g of protein. On more than one occasion, I needed to request clean linens - a clean hand towel for our room, or towels while we swam in the pool - and was told I'd need to wait a bit because they were being washed. Apparently they need to purchase more linens to have on hand, because out of the dozens of hotels I've stayed at throughout the country, running out of linens has never once been an issue. Through the length of our stay, the staff was attentive, but just not friendly. Overall, we much prefer Fairfield Inn, which has one of, if not the most, friendliest staff we've ever encountered. Do yourself a favor and book over at Fairfield, especially since it's the same price point.

I am here 1-2 times a week and the staff is always helpful. Breakfast is good but could last longer, they went from 4th floor smoking to a non smoking hotel, nice. they NEED BLACK OUT curtains for those of us who end up sleeping until noon because of business.

This hotel has it all. The staff are very attentive and took care of every need I had during each of my many stays. The rooms were always clean and smelled good. I was able to check in/out quickly which saved me a lot of time with my job.

Overall impression of this location is positive although there are a few things that could have made it a fantastic choice. First the positive...very clean facility. Love the waiting the area, the rooms and the upscale large showers compared to a plastic tub/shower combo. Staff were very nice throughout my stay there as well. Areas of opportunity: * Front desk needs more than one computer. There was a long line when I was checking in and it took 20 minutes just because there was only 1 computer for 2 ladies to work off of. * Elevator seemed to come out of a bldg from the 1980's. It couldn't have been any slower. I could have wen to the end of the hall, walked the steps and made it to my room faster than taking the elevator to the 2nd floor. * Bed was a little too firm for my liking. I've stayed at other BW's and their mattresses were much plusher than this one was. * Breakfast was pretty bad. It's the same egg patties (not even sure if they are frozen before being microwaved), salty gravy with small biscuits and 1 waffle machine that had line that wrapped around the dining area. BW really needs to improve on their breakfast options. For a 1 night stay, it's a nice place and good dining options within walking distance.

Way too hot and humid weather conditions in Jacksonville for too much outdoor activity. Nice restaurants and entertainment. Fairly good access to any locations within city that are required.Originally born and raised in Jacksonvilleand has it ever grown.

My wife & I were returning from North Carolina & decided to stay in Jacksonville. Actually the hotel is on the outskirts of Jacksonville off I-10. Which worked out well for us since we go down 301 south to get back to Punta Gorda. Anyway, our experience was excellent and the hotel was top notch. Our room was clean & well maintained, we also liked how spacious the room was. Upon arrival we were greeted by Christi, who checked us in. She was very friendly & personable and made us feel welcome. The Full breakfast was very nice, the only recommendation I would make is to extend the hours to 10am instead of 9am (for those of us who like to sleep a little later). Other then that there was no other concerns. I certainly would stay there again and would recommend the hotel to anyone that wants to stay near Jacksonville whether it be business or pleasure.

When we first arrived at this Best Western and got on the slow elevator, there was somewhat of a skunk smell in the elevator. I will not put too much emphasis on that because my husband was explaining about the standing water in Florida and the elevator shaft, and there was a body of water in that area, so he seemed to have a plausible explanation. Just be prepared. The real experience came when we opened the door to our suite. The room had not been cleaned. I don't know what happened, but the beds were unmade, and the shower had been used. It was now 12:30 am, and we were tired, but we quickly jumped back on that elevator and made our way back to the lobby. They did not have another suite, and there were five of us, so we were given 2 separate rooms. When we arrived at the first room, you could tell that someone had smoked in that room, but at this point, my mother-in-law seemed fine with it. I would not have been. We proceeded to go to our room, and when we opened the door, there was a huge air cleaner in the room. It was on, and I will say the room smelled fresh, and the room was also very clean. We turned off the air cleaner because the room smelled fresh and the air cleaner was loud. We had a nice sleep, and I was impressed with how clean and nice this room turned out to be. We had an average breakfast the following morning, which included the usual staples and also a waffle maker. They did have fresh apples, oranges, and bananas, which was a nice touch! The following morning, we did talk with the manager and she did make things right. I'm not sure if I would stay here again. Mistakes do happen and the room we ended up with was extremely clean. However, there must also be a problem with cigarette smoking since my mother-in-law's room smelled of smoke, and there was a huge air cleaner running in our room.

We stayed here for only one night-on our way down to PCB, but needed to stop and rest. Christi was awesome, got us checked in quickly and was so friendly and positive! If we are in the area again next year, we will most definitely stay here again, mostly because of Christi being so great!

Convenient to much of Jax, yet still in a quiet area. Family and friends nearby, so visiting them is a breeze. Staff is always helpful, breakfast is good. Not much more to say than that, other than nice place.

everything was good except the fact that someone came in our room at 1:30 in the morning and left while my family were sleeping. We did not know what to think or what was going on. When we called the front desk we were told that it was a miscommunication between housekeeping. They instructed them to clean a room and they went a floor below, we were told that the housekeeping staff didn't speak good english. UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!

Best value around, comfortable, beautiful décor, friendly staff. Was nice after a long day at the beach to come back to such a comfortable room. Was a very nice breakfast before church on Sunday. Will definitely stay there again.

Arrived to a exceptional and professional front desk. I was treated well, with courtesy and efficiency. The hotel is located in an area with sufficient restaurants. It is a hotel I will definitely return to in the future.

I have stayed in B.W. hotels and have always been pleased with the room and the service. Unfortunately this trip was different. The room had a "sewer" odor. Front desk brought up a plug-in device to help freshen the room. It helped somewhat. There also was no towel service. I straightened up the bed myself after no maid service. I asked for a total cost of the room when checking in as I was splitting the cost with my sister. The total didn't include tax and state costs.

Staff always make you feel welcome and very friendly. Hotel rooms are always clean as well as property. I stay here often on business and always have had an excellent experience. Breakfast is good! They actually have bacon on some mornings!

This hotel is a lovely property. We requested a room impromptu on a very busy weekend and despite the Desk Clerk being told that they were sold out she looked anyhow and found a suite available. She read the apprehension in my face and stated that she could give me a discount and I booked the room for $116/night. The room was clean, brightly decorated and the bed was super comfortable. This one goes on our list of places to stay when we visit Florida.

The rooms are very spacious. Complementary breakfast was good. The lady that works the breakfast area was very nice and helpful. The room we where in was very clean, elavator a bit slow. Other than that we enjoyed our stay

Flight delayed a day, I called the hotel to advise and I was told "No problem" I arrived and they advised they didn't have any reservation for me and no rooms were available. The girl at the desk rifled through a desk drawer and did find my reservation and apologized for the mixup. She had housekeeping ready a room for me and all was good. The room was big, smelled kind of musty; the AC units have a sour odor. Bathroom is large, relatively clean and all fixtures worked. Hotel is fairly new, linens were clean but didn't fit the bed well... corners kept slipping off the mattress. Elevator is painfully slow. Breakfast is good and the staff is pleasant. I did observe the phone sitting off the hook the other day, not sure if the girl at the desk was working on the call or not, just an observation. Overall, it's an average hotel that is convenient to Cecil Field. I would recommend this hotel for business travelers, but not for vacationers, as it's a bit off the beaten path, not much in this area.

the best western suites we utilized while our rv home was being repaired was a great place for us to stay simply because it is a suite and not just a room. we had a good size refrigerator along with a safe and a microwave in our suite and it made it easier to "live" there for a week. our room service was timely and well done. the breakfast was well prepared. we would easily stay here in the future.

Overall, our family was very pleased with our stay. The room was spacious and it allowed the adults to be separate from the children when it was time to go to bed. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and continental breakfast was a nice addition. We had a wonderful stay!

After trying 6 hotels I walked in at 11 pm to find out that yall did have a room open!! The stay was great, super comfie beds! Would most definatley sat here again! Clean and conveniently located to downtown Jacksonville

Spent two nights here on Easter weekend while visiting family. Check-in and check-out were perfectly fine. I had prepaid the room through Hotels.com for $201 (tax included) for 2 nights. The room was decent size with a king-size bed. Fairly firm mattress - firmer than I care for but it's a lower-priced hotel. Only a thin blanket on the bed. Fairly thread-bare towels in the bathroom. Pros: good size refrigerator in room, strong AC unit (a Florida plus), plenty of room for two, DirecTV, quiet Cons: cheap rough towels, not much in the way of bed linens, small bathroom sink vanity This was a place for us to sleep, and it did accomplish that.

This is a great place to stay for any events at the Jacksonville Equestrian Center. The hotel is clean and quiet, and the prices are the best in the area. Their staff is very helpful. They offer a free breakfast in the mornings.

This is a very quiet, well-built older property that is perfect for a southbound stopover via I-295 / I-95. The room has a nice walk-in shower with lots of water pressure and hot water. Check in was fast and pleasant. The bed was excellent. The hot breakfast buffet was quite good and it has something for everyone - including some great Colombian coffee. I noticed an outdoor pool that was already up & running by March 1, so that is impressive right there. The hotel decor may be getting tired, but at the reasonable AAA rates, I'm not complaining.....

Not even close to the qualities of other nearby hotels.Will not stay there again. this hotel is in need major updating. The front desk person was pleasent and had us checked in quickly. The condition of the room was fair. We found the bed to be uncomfortable.

We stayed for three nights on a house hunting trip. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean and properly stocked each day. Staff were courteous and helpful. We were pleased and would be delighted to offer it up to family and friends who wish to visit but don't want to stay with us.

Stayed at the Best Western Plus Cecil Field Inn & Suites in Jacksonville, Florida for one night while traveling by car to the Florida Gulf Coast. The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. The hotel is nicely decorated and our was room clean and comfortable. The hotel was conveniently located within walking distance of several restaurants and a supermarket. Enjoyed our stay very much.

The price was not cheap so I expected more. Was disappointed with the whole atmosphere. The TV was a direct TV with no tv listing in the room. The beds were good and the staff pleasant. Breakfast nice standard options.

There were no towels in the room, the safe was locked, and the television in the fitness room was broken. The manager attempted to take care of all these complaints and was quite accessible . The room was clean. the breakfast was fair.

Staff, cleanliness, are fine. The price was best of the 4 locations off this exit. Overall, nice property. There were two issues for us. I've read other reviews and we are not the only ones who found the shower was an issue, I believe a safety hazard, accident waiting to happen. Instead of tub, there is a walk in shower, which as a concept I like. When the conversion was done, no shelf to hold soap or shampoo, etc. So..you put the soap on the wet floor...a slippery combination for sure. Plus, who wants to bend over for soap, shampoo, etc. Very surprised they haven't addressed this. Second issue, the shopping center nearby does not have any good options for dinner in my opinion. There is a Cracker Barrel Restaurant in the area. Not familiar with them, but would choose that if I were to return to this facility. Wish front desk had list of dining options particularly better ones...maybe a short drive away. AC/Heat unit was quiet (didn't cycle on and off..) Close to highway, but far enough so no truck/car noise. Breakfast was average buffet choices..attendant was almost over the top to please.

There are a cluster of hotels at Chaffee Point just west of Jacksonville. This may be the worst. No towels, no working TV in fitness center (a cramped room), a very modest free breakfast, a single video monitor for the parking lot. From Boston to Florida we stayed in excellent hotels: Holiday Inn Express ,Chambersburg, VA and Fairfield Inn, Elkin, NC.

We were trying to beat hurricane Joaquin up I-10 back to I-95 returning from Naples Fl to Ontario Canada when low and behold we spotted the Best Western sign. We pulled in and were greeted by one of the most friendliest desk clerks ever. He checked us in in a flash recommended an Italian restaurant around the corner and had us settled in no time flat. This was all appreciated by myself and my wife after a full day on the road.

I'm a full time power wheelchair user. I travel alone with my service dog. The desk clerk impressed me when I was checking in. He noticed that my reservation wasn't correct and said, "You need a roll-in shower, don't you?" Now that was a guy on his toes! Room 215 was roomy with plenty of room to turn around even with the king size bed. Generally, it was a good place to stay. Lots of electrical outlets, but the ones closest to the bed were behind the night stands. Yes, there was a peep hole at the correct height. A nice touch -- the curtains were short so that the air conditioner wasn't constantly blowing them. The room was a bit beaten with holes where the door knobs met another object. There appeared to be water stains on much of the furniture. Unfortunately, the bed was 28 inches high. The clothes hangers were at 64 inches. Turning on the bathroom light required reaching across the hair dryer. The roll in shower had a portable plastic shower bench. The shower diverter valve was attached to the shower head at 75 inches high, making the hand held shower head useless. Its located in a good spot, looks safe. A number of restaurants nearby.

Excellent and above reproach. Rob, the gentleman at the front desk went above and beyond for my family as we stayed here. It was truly and enjoyable experience. I will consider staying at other Best Westerns in the future now that I have stayed here.

I spent a night here on my way to South Florida. My room was spacious, clean, and well maintained. The young lady at the desk was very pleasant, which is not always the case. Breakfast and wifi are a "must" these days, and of course, were included. Just a few minutes off I-10, I would definitely stay here again.

Reasonably priced hotel conveniently located for our travel needs. Hotel was newer and we had no issues during stay. I would recommend this hotel. FYI, Less than .5 m away is a small shopping mall with several places to get good food.

Visiting with my two daughters, Angelina from NH with her husband, Mark whom we had not seen for a couple of years the other daughter, Janet from Jacksonville. We spent the first day getting to know what has been going on with all of us and resting up from the trip to Jacksonville. The next day we went out for a Italian dinner and a tour of the city with Janet as the Driver and tour guide. Monday we went to one of the beaches where we had a great dinner at fish restaurant which was excellent. I had a bowl of clam chowder that was great, I have not eaten this type of chowder for years. My wife and I went back to the hotel early to get ready for the ride home the next morning. The five of us met for breakfast together and then left to go home. All toll it was wonderful four days..

This property was ideally located for a stop over from Miami to New England. The rooms are large, nicely appointed and have comfortable beds. The property is clean and well maintained. Breakfast was good with a large variety of choices. One of our favorite parts of the stay was the excellent shower with great water pressure. If there was a shelf to hold toiletries in the shower it would have been perfect. We would definetly stay here again.

My wife and I need a night to getaway and what we found was a quiet and peaceful night of sleep and relaxation. We loved the night and we loved the value. We will be staying here again for another getaway night very soon.

Stopped here on out way to Tampa for our honeymoon and I have no complaints. Clean and very modern rooms, great breakfast. Very friendly staff. Located right by a ton of places to eat. I booked this hotel based on the ratings as compared to those of the two other hotels located right next door to this one, and I'm sure I made the right choice. If we're ever in Jacksonville again, I'll be sure to book here

This is our second stay here while traveling in the past two months. When the staff realized we had visited them before they welcomed us back. We had thought of stopping before reaching Jacksonville but read the reviews for the other hotel and decided to keep traveling until we were comfortable with our hotel. Rooms are clean quiet and comfortable. They have a nice outdoor pool and hot tub which we used just to relax a little, breakfast is ok and there is always someone around to greet you and help if you need anything!

Had a good stay the pool was nice would definitely stay again. The staff were wonderful I really appreciated there help I suggest this hotel...to many other people........stayed there to be able to go to st Augustine

stopped here on our way home from my husbands business meeting, the hotel was very nice, the staff was very courteous from check in to check out. The room was spacious and clean. We enjoyed the breakfast the next morning, they had a good variety of options and someone always there if anyone needed anything.
