    « A regular »

I stay at this hotel frequently and it never fails to be outstanding in all categories. They are welcome me as a regular and acknowledge my loyalty. Their Breakfast Bar making omletes and eggs is the best and unique in the other Best Western Breakfast Bars.

« Our Home in Idaho Falls, Idaho »

Staff was warm and friendly. They stroked up conversations and gave us great ideas of what and where to go in their city. The view was Beautiful!! Next time we will make sure to bring our bathing suites. We now know their is an indoor hot tub.

« Excellent customer service and room! »

We arrived tired. The guy at the counter was extremely helpful and efficient. We didn't have reservations, and we had our dog with us. We got a huge room that had a kitchenette complete with dishes! Since we were pulling a trailer we actually had groceries in the trailer that we brought in and were able to cook. The room was more like a studio apartment than a hotel room! The bed was very comfortable, and the pillows were pretty luxurious. There was adequate lighting, and charging our phones and laptop was convenient and set up right on the nightstands. Yes, there were two nightstands. I have been to hotels with only one nightstand. I am pleased when I see two. The room was clean, and everything worked. TV wasn't HD - That was the worst thing about the hotel room. Seriously I would stay here again!

« Great place to stay! »

This place is really great. It has the feel of an old motor inn motel, but the room was very nice and the staff was great. Super clean. The location is super, you can walk across the street to the river. They have a omlette bar for breakfast. Highly recommended! I will stay there whenever I am in Idaho Falls.

    « What a view! »

This is really a great motel. When we checked in there was clam chowder and biscuits waiting. Later on there was cookies. Our suite was beautiful with a great view of the falls and river. Our room was spacious and immaculate. The young man who checked us in made us feel very special. I would encourage anyone who travels to become a member of the rewards club. Best western has one of the best out there. This motel is situated right on the river walk and there is nothing as fine as walking and talking with your best friend. Spend a week-end here!

    « Good Value! »

We stayed here on a recent Sunday in October. Our room had a king size, comfortable bed, micro and small fridge. Our shower had been recently renovated displaying dual shower heads. Hot soup and coffee was available for free in the evening. We utilized a pet friendly room which was clean and fresh. We were charged a $10 pet fee. Unfortunately the exercise room and hot tub were under renovations during our stay, however for those expressing interest, another nearby facility could be used for free. A hot breakfast is included. All in all, this Inn was a very good value. We will definitely return on future travels through Idaho Falls.

« Very Nice Room and Great Breakfast »

We only stayed for 1 night, but we loved everything about this hotel. The room was very nice, clean and the bed was comfy. The location was great, right across the street from the Snake River Greenbelt and the falls. We walked around the park area and to dinner. The lobby and the breakfast room was very nice. The food selections were great, wish I had room for more.

    « Beautiful as usual »

This hotel is one of my favorites. (Especially on the "River View" side. The rooms are always nice and clean. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast they do is great...especially the omelets. It is nice and centrally located. The view is beautiful. It is right across the street from the river. There is a nice walking path there.

    « A gem in 'Falls' »

A comfortable place to stay and as close to the Snake River as you want. Nice river walk/run with a beautiful falls designed as part of the city's electric power generation system. Very roomy, we stayed in suite-like #74. If you're staying for a few days, this is the place to be. (It's also the place to be if you're staying only one night.) Great for couples. Yes, a bit dated, but kept up well. The indoor pool area was being renovated while we were there. All the rooms are on the ground level. Park right outside the room door. Easy to log into Wi-Fi. We would definitely stay here again.

« Older Hotel near the "Falls" »

This is a nice place to stay...it is an older property, but extremely well kept up...the rooms are of a nice size and are very clean. The shower is roomy, although it does have disappointing low water pressure. Pets are allowed for a fee, and there is wi-fi. Breakfast is at 7AM and when we were there they had a person making custom omellettes for guests...very nice! Older motels are great in the fact that one can park right in front of the room...packing and unpacking is so much easier! There are a couple of restaurants a few blocks away. The motel is located near (walking distance) the "falls." Are they really falls?? They look more like extreme turbulence rapids than falls!

« Do Stay at the Drift Wood Inn »

My wife and I had a great stay. The inn is on the river with a view of the falls. We went for a walk along the river before dinner. The hotel is being updated and has great rooms. The breakfast was one of the best I have had at a BW.

    « Pleasant Stay »

This Hotel is located right across from Idaho Falls and it was quiet, comfortable and the breakfast made the stay. Lots of food and the bonus was there was an Omelette Station. The breakfast was very tasty. The only negative is that there were two chairs in the room that were old and worn and had stains on the seat. The rest of the room was not too bad. The walls could use a refreshing paint job.

    4
    « Pleasant stay »

The rooms are clean, and modernized to exceed those of competing motel chains. The breakfast staff were friendly and went out of their way to satisfy your needs. The made-to-order omelets were an added touch.

« Good comfortable room at affordable price »

This motel is right on the river walk. Appears to be somewhat older but in good condition with comfortable rooms. You can park just outside your room door. Includes breakfast with good selection. They even had a very nice lady in the restaurant making customer order eggs/omelets. Would stay here again.

    « Lovely location »

We spent one night at the Best Western Idaho Falls. The location is across from the Falls and we had requested a falls view room. We were in an upstairs room facing the water but we couldn't see the falls. The room was very comfortable, altho the toilet didn't work very well. We were surprised with the offering at breakfast - cooked to order omelets along with the variety of other breakfast items. We would stay here again. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

« Great for the Price and Comfortability »

I usually have a high standard for rating a hotel but this time around, I was a single traveler and needed a hotel room fairly cheap but yet I expected it to be clean and comfortable. This hotel was just that. I had a comfortable bed, the room was clean but dated. The view from my balcony was one of the best. I had a free breakfast every morning and the staff here were all very nice and very helpful. Everything I needed was within walking distance so I didn't even have to rent a car. The airport was just a ten minute drive to the hotel by taxi with a ten dollar charge....really, not bad at all. This was meant to be a low budget vacation and it was achieved.

    « A great stay »

Stayed here for one night to break up our journey from Salt Lake City to the Grand Tetons. Received a very warm welcome on arrival. Room was good, very neat and clean. Breakfast was excellent. Plenty of choice and the made to order omlettes were a very nice (and tasty) touch. The two ladies looking after the breakfast were excellent, as were all the staff we met. Nice location on the riverside next to a park and opposite the falls. Plenty of restaurants and shops close by. One nice little touch is that bike hire was free, although we did not have time to use them. Overall, a great hotel for the money we paid. Would definitely stay here again if we were to have the good fortune to return to Idaho Falls.

« Great Motel; Fabulous Site »

This motel has all of the usual amenities required of an upper-level motel, as well as a nice complementary breakfast including made-to-order omlettes. It is also very pet friendly. But it has an enviable site: at the edge of the Snake River, by the falls, where a riverside park is at the front door and provides a wonderful place for a walk (including your dog) or a morning run. LDS will love the views of the Idaho Falls Temple right across the river. And the motel is within easy walking distance of The Sandpiper, one of the best restaurants in Idaho Falls, and within easy walking distance of a beer (they make their own) pub, and some other restaurants providing a variety of food at a variety of price points. Whenever I am within several hundred miles, I make an effort to see that my overnight stop will be at the Driftwood Inn. Be sure to get reservations (some tour bus companies stop there).

« Nice hotel across from the river and the falls »

We brought bicycles with us (but the hotel did have bicycles to rent, I think) and we toured the central Idaho Falls on bike which was a good bikeride. You could also walk around the Falls. Hotel did seem a little worn but it was clean and nice. We went here because we saw the reviews - and we were surprised to see that they had the most friendly and serviceminded nice women that made fresh omelettes to order. They were 2 different ladies the 2 mornings we were there and they both made everybody in the breakfastarea feel welcome and comfortable - and the omelettes were very good:-) Also - having somebody there all the time minimizes the risk of guests either making a mess and leave it - I think it's a win-win for all.

    « A great find! »

I was searching for a place to stay in Idaho Falls on our way up to Yellowstone. I read the reviews on this hotel and booked it. We were not disappointed. The location is amazing, just across the street from the falls, the staff was wonderful, and the room was very nice, clean and very comfortable. Their breakfast is amazing, with cook-to-order scrambled eggs or omelets, cooked sausage, oatmeal, cold cereal, anything anyone could want for breakfast. This is definitely a find, with reasonable rates.

    « Dissatisfied Traveler »

Had wasps/bees in room. Next day had to switch room. Bathroom fixtures outdated. Some light fixtures not working. Room needs updating. Room rates overpriced. Will never stay at this hotel if my travel brings me to Idaho Falls. During may stay I found better hotels for similar price. When you look in the internet hotel claims to be better then in actuality.

    4
    « Our Fall Vacation »

Stayed at this hotel as a central point for visiting three area parks, the Grand Tetons, Yellowstone National Park and the Craters of the Moon. The parks are a little drive from this hotel, but they all add the the fun of the visit. There are some beautiful drives to these parks. The Hotel itself is very well situated with some good dining facilities within walking distance. As an added bonus once you have finished dining, talk a walk along the river trail, to finish off the day.

« Scenic location, great access »

Rating 8/10. Older motel but very clean and you can park right outside the door - ideal if you have lots of luggage. Bedside lamp each side of very comfortable King bed with plenty of pillows. Fridge, microwave, separate sink in kitchenette. Good tea/coffee facilities. Iron, ironing board and hair drier. Small bathroom with shower over bath but good water pressure and great bathroom heater. Coin guest laundry. Very cosy unit. Would happily stay again.

« Not so bad, but not so great. »

I traveled here for work and was upgraded to a suite, which was nice. I wasn't aware that this is a motel, all rooms are accessed externally with no internal/hallway access. It is right across from the river which has a nice walking path. The breakfast is complimentary and better than an average continental breakfast - with made-to-order 1-egg omelettes (decent - but these are eggs from a bag, not fresh eggs - at least that's how they tasted). There was so-so sausage and the usual waffles, cereal, and bagels. My suite was clean, had a nice gas-stove. A full kitchen (not that I needed it) with very, very limited utensils and serviceware. So, if you needed a kitchen you would need to supply all of your own cookware and plates, silverware, etc. for the most part. There was a full-size frig and freezer in the room, no ice in the room. It had a nice updated bathroom with a stand-alone shower and jacuzzi tub. The jacuzzi didn't work - it was just a glorified big tub. I reported it to the office twice and they said they would tell maintenance but nothing was done to fix it while I was here. Overall this is not the nicest place in Idaho Falls but it's decent and adequate. My coworker was originally given a suite as well - but it was already occupied when he arrived. He then was moved two more times before they found him a room that didn't have something broken and/or someone already in it. So, I would say maintenance isn't their highest priority (the office door also had a broken hydrolic arm that left it flapping in the wind). Would I stay here again? Not if work is paying for it, maybe if I was here on a personal trip if it were cheaper than other places - it felt safe at least and was clean.

    « Welcoming and comfortable »

We were in town to attend a wedding and used reward points to stay here. We were treated the same as full paying customers and found the staff to be so friendly!! They accommodated an early check-in so we could get changed for the wedding, had extremely comfortable beds/pillows, and a great complimentary continental breakfast including an omelet station and Belgium waffles. We'd definitely stay here again when in Idaho Falls.

    5
« Great place to stay. »

Overall, great place to stay. Easy to find and fast check-in. Room accommodation was very pleasant and clean. Located right across river from downtown Idaho Falls. Nice walk across bridge to town for dinner and shop browsing. Enjoyed the indoor hot tub. Breakfast was also very good with eggs or omelets made to order and brought to your table. We would definitely stay again at the BW Driftwood Inn.

    « Unexpected Joy »

Once, again, we chose this hotel based on reviews we read on TripAdvisor. We weren't sure what our room was going to be like as it first appeared to be a tiny little motel. When we opened the door to our two queen room, we were met with a lovely little kitchen with a big wooden kitchen table and granite countertops and a full fridge. This came in handy for us as we always bring along a little food in a cooler, so was perfect to transfer over for the night. The room must have been recently updated and the bathroom had a large walk in shower with two shower heads and a glass enclosure. The bedroom was located at the back of the suite and since we were at the end of the building, there was not much outside noise at all. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel was situated right across the street from the river and there was a nice pathway to walk along. We felt the breakfast was outstanding. Made to order omelets or scrambled eggs, is not a feature you get a most hotels/motels that offer complimentary breakfast. There was a large selection of other breakfast items as well. We would definitely recommend staying here.

    4
« Small, Clean Room, Convenient Location »

This place reminds me of a 50s style lodge. We had a very small king room facing a courtyard parking lot. It's quaint and clean, albeit small. The fridge in the room has a freezer, which is nice, but it does hum quite a bit. The bed is on the hard side, but not bad. Crisp sheets. Remote control is in a "clean" pouch, which saves a wipe down. The bathroom has a window, but is very small. If you're unfortunate, your neighbor will turn on their bathroom fan at 4:30am and you'll realize how thin the walls are. Very nice, river side walk across the street, great for walking the dog. Was not asked about dog, but room is too small for more than one or a very large pup.

    5
    « Recommend!! »

Fantastic hotel right along the river!! Nice view and easy access to the walking path across the street. Parking was great and the staff were very nice. Continental breakfast was great. Has an omelet bar which we had never seen before and was a great option plus other hot and cold options. No one left hungry! Hotel is clean and well maintained. Didn't try out the outside pool area but it looked very enjoyable & relaxing! Highly recommend!

    4
« Lovely location, wonderful breakfast, bed is average »

Overall this a wonderful value in a peaceful location along the river parkway. The breakfast is excellent and above the usual, the rooms are large, but the beds are soggy. I would stay again and hope that another room has a better mattress.

  • 5
« Great spot by "the Falls" »

We have stayed here many times over the years when we are visiting family and friends in the area. It is pretty much perfect! It is very close to the river and it is best to request a room with a view of the river. The rooms are well-maintained and the bathrooms are updated with good quality tile. Breakfast is excellent - eggs cooked to order. Sitting by the pool and looking out at the river on a hot summer day is ideal.

    4
    « Always a good nite »

Excellent breakfast...omlets made to order ...sausage juice waffles cereal yogurt everyone is pretty nice good walking path along the Snake River and a short walk to a bunch of restaurants ...the beds are awesome ...never had a problem here

    5
« Great location, service rooms »

Easy to find this place less than a mile from the interstate. Great location on the riverfront overlooking the falls. There are more rooms than there are parking spots but plenty of street parking that seemed well lit and safe. Rooms are spacious, many overlooking the river. Clean, well appointed. Price was around $90 plus tax for a king room overlooking the river. Reasonable selection of mid-market places to eat within walking distance. All in all, wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Well done, Driftwood Inn.

    5
« Great Place to stay »

This hotel had a Fantastic and attentive staff. Terrific river walk with great views of the Snake River and falls. Wonderful breakfast with made to order omelets and real oatmeal. Very Comfortable room.

    4
    « Wonderful, just wonderful! »

An old time but wonderfully kept motel It was located right along the river with a lovely walk right close by. It was quiet and clean. The room was clean and had everything in it that a person could need. Breakfast was great!

    4
« Right along the river greenbelt »

This older and beautifully kept Best Western is a great overnight stop. The rooms are spotlessly clean, recently remodeled and are equipped with a dandy lounge chair. Breakfast features omelettes made to order and good coffee. I found the wifi signal to be strong and have very good bandwidth. Like many other Best Westerns, they are very accommodating of motorcyclists - a plus for the chain.

    5
« nice quiet and clean »

we stayed here enroute to Yellowstone from Salt Lake City. We found it to be clean and neat and quiet! Plus near the River so it was a bit scenic as well. We were very happy with our choice! Good staff, nice breakfast with freshly made omelets to order! A good deal all around!

    5
    « Wonderful trip »

I loved this Hotel so near to the falls with a lovely walk in park area and places to sit and take in the view. The hotel had a lovely pool area that we used a lot.. I wished we had booked for a longer stay.

    5
    « What a breakfast and what a view! »

I was greatly impressed by this Best Western. The room was spacious, clean and modern. Everything worked. The breakfast was delicious! Between eggs, biscuits and gravy, cereal, waffles, juice, fruit, oatmeal and more I walked away feeling full and healthy. The breakfast helpers were outstanding. The view of a park, pond and beautiful LDS temple across the street made for a feast for my eyes. I felt safe. My 2 night experience was one of the best!

    4
« Reasonably price in nice location »

The hotel is in a nice location. Good breakfast and comfortable rooms for this type of budget hotel. Very nice staff at the front office. Wi Fi was not that good, but if staying here a short time, it is a good price overall.

  • 3
« Very nice hotel, lousy WIFI »

The rooms while small are clean and comfortable with excellent beds and good TV channel selection. The morning breakfast, while crowded is excellent. Would love to continue staying here, but the WIFI service was virtually unusable.

    5
    « Lovely and comfortable »

This is a great Best Western and the location is awesome. It is located literally right across the street from the falls and the very sweet river walk. The staff was super friendly, and the room was awesome, comfortable bed, with an updated shower and a very effective air conditioner. The hot tub is just as cool as it looks it the pictures and open late so you can take a quick relaxing dip even if you arrive late. Great place to stay!

    5
    « Very nice! »

I love this Best Western, it's clean the staff is friendly and helpful it's on a very beautiful Riverwalk , and the breakfast is outstanding with a large variety of choices. The Omelette bar is extra nice! Our beds weren't particularly soft but they weren't particularly hard.. we slept reasonably well! This is a great value , I think reasonably priced for the amenities, inside and outside pool, exercise room. Easily accessed from the freeway.

    5
« One of the best Best Westerns »

I have stayed in many best westerns over the years and the Driftwood Inn was one of the best! The Omelets made to order were a huge plus. The room was clean and recently renovated with tile and slate bathroom. The location directly across from the falls and the LDS temple made for spectacular views.

    5
« Best Breakfast Best Rooms Best River Walks »

Also,Best exercise room, they keep it cool and well equipped. Right on the River at the falls, quiet, with distant trains. Great area for a walk. Two bedroom suite with full kitchen, and a few dishes. Comfortable beds, linens. Breakfast is like none other because it is custom made on the spot. Plenty of fresh fruit, and real pot of oatmeal as well as best ever omelets. Very helpful and friendly staff, make you not only feel welcome but ready to come back often.

    « Unexpected great stay! »

We booked this as our quick halfway point stay and it became our favorite hotel on this vacation. We stayed at another hotel on the way back home and I wish we had rebooked here. It was built a long time ago, which worried me when looking at it online, but you can tell the owners have put a lot of love into it over the years. Flower baskets hang from the outside the doors, very clean rooms, and Bath & Body Works shampoo and conditioner in the rooms. Plus the all staff we interacted with were incredibly friendly! We felt like the hotel must have great management and/or ownership because they seemed to really enjoy their jobs. They even had a person making made to order complementary omelettes in the morning. We really enjoyed our visit and will stay here again for sure the next time we are in the area!

    4
    « Great Room & View »

The hotel is right on the strip of the falls. It was BEAUTIFUL! The room we stayed in was HUGE and perfect for our family of four. The outdoor pool was cool cold to enjoy, but the hot tub was VERY warm. The fitness room adequate.

    4
« Great Last Minute Stay »

Arrived into Idaho Falls later in the evening after hitting construction on the drive over from Jackson, WY. Was able to get a pet friendly room with river view. The room was large, clean and the bed comfortable. The walk along the river is really nice, even in the dark. There are a few restaurants close by, we recommend the Mexican place a few blocks away. The breakfast in the morning is good and they even have some made to order items.

    5
    « Excellent Find! »

This was the second time I've stayed here on an annual business trip. This hotel is like an oasis. Great location right across from beautiful Idaho Falls. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful breakfast included with an omelet bar. Amazing jacuzzi makes you feel like you're in a spa. I look forward to staying there again next year!

    5
    « Great stay »

Arrived in town with no reservation. Found this place and loved it. Rooms were large. Staff was helpful and friendly and breakfast was best we have had in a hotel with made to order eggs and homemade banana bread and all other breakfast items. The river and park across the street helped us fall in love with this place! Would have stayed an extra day if time had allowed.

    « Business Traveler »

I continue to pick this Best Western Hotel because I am very comfortable with them. The Idaho Falls Best Western rates in the top hotels that I stay at. The staff here goes out of their way to please me. The location is great and very scenic. The LDS temple sits on the other side of the snake river. Beautiful walking area for those evening walks. Indoor hot tub and out door pool. The weight room is good also. The breakfast bar has got to be one of the best. Good variety also. I would consider this hotel for business and for family vacations.

    4
« Nice hotel and staff »

This hotel is located in the heart of town and close to everything a traveler needs. Don't pass this hotel up. It's convenient to the river, restaurants, and you'll have a clean comfortable room to boot. Staff was very kind, helpful, and personable.

    4
    « Very nice »

Lovely comfy rooms and beds ... very clean ... nice variety at breakfast ... nice pool ... great central location ... we only stayed 1 night but we were happy with the rooms service and family friendly atmosphere.

    5
« Well done. Best complimentary breakfast ever. »

No complaints at all. Good recommendation for dinner. Great breakfast. Quiet. Well maintained. Right across from river park for evening walk if so inclined. Nothing else to add. TA needs to be a bit more flexible about number of characters in review.

    5
    « Large, comfortable room »

We enjoyed our stay last week at the Driftwood Inn. I was glad that we took advantage of hotel bikes to ride on the path along the river. We enjoyed the outdoor pool though it is fairly small. On the other hand, our room was very large--comfortable for our family of 5. We chose this hotel because so that we could have a kitchen. We did enjoy the breakfast. I like breakfasts with fresh oatmeal, but we also took advantage of the fresh made to order eggs (I often wonder how fresh the scrambled eggs are at other hotel breakfasts). All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again in the summer (the winter would be a more difficult decision because it would be nice to have an indoor pool).

    5
« View and Location are Ideal »

This is THE place to stay in Idaho Falls. The employees are very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are up to date, clean and comfortable. Can't beat the free breakfast (made to order omelets)! Great outdoor pool and a beautiful indoor hot pool. As a bonus, the price is very affordable. Stay here.

    « Below average »

From positive side: close to falls in citycenter, all appliances worked properly, hotel was in quiet location, parking convinient, staff was friendly. From negative side would point out cleanliness which was far below our expectations.

    5
    « Location, location, location »

This is a fantastic hotel in an awesome location. The hotel itself is very pretty, it is surrounded by flowers and spotlessly clean, inside and out. But the most amazing part of this hotel is the location, right across the road from the falls with beautiful views, walking paths, benches and everything within walking distance. Our check in was fast and friendly and our room was spacious, clean, and had a comfortable king size bed, an amazing shower and a refrigerator and microwave. Air conditioning and wifi worked great and it was very quiet for sleeping so we had a fantastic night's rest. Breakfast was delicious with both hot and cold choices and made to order omelets, above and beyond what you would expect for a free breakfast. Having the falls and walking paths right outside our door was an added bonus so we could walk off that amazing breakfast. This area of Idaho Falls is very safe and we were comfortable walking around the hotel at all times, we loved our stay here!!

« Great location and breakfast! »

The hotel is directly across from the actual falls (man made) and river walk, which is great if you want to get a walk in. It's also very close to the downtown, although we didn't take advantage of that. We were in the older part of the motel, so the room was very small, but adequate, clean and comfortable. They have a great breakfast, with a gal making made to order omelettes. Staff were friendly and the price was very reasonable.

« Enjoyed the hotel location »

This hotel is across the street from a river running through the city, and also a waterfall. there is a terrific pathway area allowing to walk near the river and enjoy tremendous scenery. This facility is pet friendly which is important to us.

« Pet friendly, great location, lovely breakfast. »

We stayed one night at the Driftwood Inn and were charmed by the staff, location and the fresh eggs for breakfast. The room was comfortable and with restaurants close by and the lively river walk just across the street, our stay left a good impression of Idaho Falls. There is a small pool that was full of happy kids.

    « A great place to stay »

No complaints at all. The food was great, the room was great, the location on the Snake River and close to my reunion venue was great. I have no complaints at all about my stay there and would recommend the hotel for anyone travelling through Idaho Falls.

    « Best free breakfast »

Location is perfect, directly across from falls and walking path. Friendly staff, clean room, more channels on the TV than anywhere I've stayed. Walking distance to several restaurants. Comfortable bed too. Most "free" breakfasts are not worth hassling with...this one was seriously the best. They had a person making omelettes and eggs any way. Great!

    « Perfect Location! »

Located directly across from the falls! Very nice area with plenty of restaurants and things to do within walking distance. The room was very clean and the staff friendly! Only downside was our air conditioning went out during the night. Would highly recommend staying with this hotel

Great location, helpful staff, a beautiful town and this hotel is very centrally located. Good stop on the way to Glacier National park in Montana. Will definitely stay again if we are ever up this way on vacation.

« A/C broke midway through the night »

Overall the place is very nice. Room is set up very spacious and clean. Flatscreen TV, microwave, and mini refrigerator. Quiet hotel right on the Idaho falls! Great views for sure! Also very close to a lot of places to eat! AC broke around 6 AM. Started making loud noises that kept all of us awake. Other than that no complaints. The A/C had to be turned off.

    « Fab place! »

Great location on the river. Check in was quick. Room is nice and had everything we wanted (we'd have liked a safe but this seems to be more in the touristy parts of the US) Breakfast at the weekend is until 10am which is good and great variety! (Best of our road trip and we have been in about 10other hotels) You can make your own waffles and there is a member of staff running an omelette station too. Free WiFi. Plenty of parking. One negative only: noisy air con in room, especially when it cuts in during the night. We'd definitely be back !

    5
    « Fun Times »

Clean and friendly. Great location. Excellent breakfast. ??. It is on the river and has an extremely nice view. There are several trails in a park close to it that are definitely worth walking through. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

« Definitely better choices out there. »

First off, they didn't have my reservation upon arrival. The front desk could use some training on basic stuff, like reservations and receipts. Stood at the counter for half an hour, and it was almost midnight so you can imagine a person flying all day being tired and expecting a nice cozy bed. The room is definitely outdated. No HD tv, as advertised. The bathroom looks like a quick cover up to get the room available for the lowest bidder. And the most annoying thing of all, the AC unit won't even stay on to make the room cold. I have to set it to the lowest setting (54) so it will actually blow cold air with a limp. I'm just not impressed for spending roughly a thousand dollars on lodging alone. Granted it was for business but they sure did take pride in that nightly rate!

    « Great location »

This was our 10th hotel on this trip, it had, by far, the best breakfast. A lady made your eggs to order, and mine were very nice. The hotel was clean and comfortable. A high point is that the hotel is just across the road from the Riverwalk, we enjoyed a lovely walk in the sunshine.

    5
    « great hotel ! »

Easy access to/from free-way, wonderful location, helpful and courteous staff, and the BEST breakfast ever! How can you beat individually prepared-to-order eggs! Almost enough to plan a trip around a stay at BW in Idaho Falls!

« Nice, quiet hotel on the waterfront of Idaho Falls »

Very accommodating hotel along the river, short walking distance to town center. Friendly staff, clean rooms. We were able to get around Idaho Falls easily from the hotel, both on foot (which was a very pleasant walk) and by car. Very quiet location. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful upon our arrival, and were also great during the breakfast hour for our meal.

« Quality stay and good night's sleep. »

Loved this motel. Located right across the street from the falls in downtown. Very peaceful and safe area. The rooms are modern and very clean. The beds and pillows are ridiculously comfortable. The staff at front desk were very cordial and welcoming. Free parking, Internet and breakfast. All around nice stay.

Nice motel. Newer furnishings, bed was comfortable. We stayed in a handicap accessible room. Bathroom and shower was big and had a complete walk/roll in shower. Very nice and easy to use. Breakfast was very good. Made to order eggs/omelette station. Waffles, yogurt, potatoes, sausage, homemade banana bread and other standard breakfast items. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again. Right across the street from the falls.

    « excellent short stay »

Traveling from Wyoming to Calif. with a pet. Called ahead in Jackson Hole to reserve a room. Only a 20.00 pet deposit. This is directly across the street from the Falls and large walk area. Perfect spot. Upon entering I immediately checked to see if there was any pet smells but it was very fresh in there. Great beds and bedding. Clean bathroom, desk area, microwave and refrig. Breakfast in the a.m. included sausage, biscuits and gravy, made to order eggs, homemade banana bread and many other things. Very good. Ordered dinner when we got there and went to pick it up but they had great tables outside, again directly across the street from the falls so we all (dog too) enjoyed eating outside. Snow Eagle Brewing was the name of the restaurant and it was excellent. Excellent nights sleep in the great bed and bedding. Would stay there again.

« Great except the pepper bomb »

We were on our way through idaho in our way home from a long road trip. Room was clean, shower had hit water and it was quite. The next morning we took turns going to breakfast (we had the dogs with us) I was able to get breakfast, when my husband went. Something went off in the vents and he informed me everyone started coughing and they had to evacuate the building we never heard what had happened however he didn't get breakfast. Besides that we did have a great stay and would probably stay there again.

    « I wouldn't stay here again »

We stayed for a night (2 adults and 2 kids). The hotel room feels outdated. Old and musty. Smells of smoke as well. Beds are hard to sleep on. The whole family had a bad experience with the beds. There are mosquitoes hanging out like crazy outside your room door. So, when you open your door all of them rush inside! I would never stay at this hotel again. The shower stall fills up with water to your ankles as you take a bath...

    4
« Across the street from the falls »

Nice place where some rooms have view of the river/falls. You can walk the parkway along the falls. There is no restaurant or lounge nearby so had to drive for dinner and drinks. Breakfast served including omelets and eggs your way. Room was nice with comfy bed and chair. Fire alarm works because we set ours off by not closing bathroom door while showering. Pool, gym and spa too. Would stay again.

    4
« Right on the river. »

The hotel was right across from the Snake river falls. A lovely park followed the river for about two miles. Many walkers and runner used the park, including my teenage grandson and I. Breakfast was very good with a staff member making to order omelets among other offerings. The hotel is close to many good restaurants and grocery stores. Views of the park are very nice in most rooms....better upstairs. Benches were provided outside every room to take advantage of the view..

« The best Best Western I've ever stayed in. »

Clean, friendly, eye appealing, nicely appointed, terrific bed, and an omelette station tended by a super efficient gal building your omelet to order. Amazing! I found it to be a very quiet evening. Front desk staff just super.

This is a very nice hotel. Very pet friendly, especially since its right across the street from a spectacular river walk next to the Snake River. Will always stay here when we come through Idaho Falls.

    « Nice room! »

Very new modern room. Was surprised with quality of room as the outside of the hotel is not as nice. The outside is not bad, just not as nice as the room, which is fine for me. The chairs for the table in the room were not comfortable for me, but didn't bother my wife as much; pretty minor issue. Shower nice, bathroom clean. Gave us a choice of room locations, never a bad thing! Pet friendly, traveled with our dog.

We have stayed almost exclusively at Best Westerns since kids moved to Montana about 8 years ago. The Best Western Driftwood Inn in Idaho Falls has always been consistent & great. Good restaurants just down the street. Highly recommend!!

Great staff from the time I arrived until I left. Also had a good breakfast. Staff very accommodating. Great indoor whirlpool. If you can get it ask for the upstairs rooms with a balcony facing the street. Save area and very right across the street from the waterway.

    « Idaho Falls trip »

Clean and comfortable room. The motel is right across the street from the river and one of the parks. I was able to walk to the river. They also have bikes available for guest use. This is an older motel that has been renovated. Nice upgrade on amenities and decor, but bathroom was very small. Parking was a challenge as the spots are very narrow and the lot is small.

« Great place to Relax.. »

Stayed here again after a few years now, got the same great room, 2nd floor overlooking the river and falls. Pool area and indoor Spa worked out very good after a long trip on the road. Many places to eat on the next few blocks, but many closed on Sunday so be forwarned but Jalisco's Mexican food down the block was ok just very busy because of Sunday. The Driftwood has a full breakfast and made to order omlettes, the potatoes and sasage as well as the muffins and make your own waffles were all good and the lobby staff also makes fresh cookies and has fresh hot coffee there in the lobby all hours.Free bikes to use to pedal around the park / falls area next door, fitness room too. Room wall A/C was a bit noisy but most are. WiFi worked great. Beds were good, pillows were many, we even had a kitchenette which was a plus. All in all a very good stay and quiet too. Only bad side is the old multi lever round hotel next door looking very run down. But that is not the Driftwood's fault, just looks bad is all.

« NIce Hotel, Great View, Excellent Breakfast! »

This hotel was in a lovely area by the waterfalls. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast was very good, with fresh made omelets. The ladies in the breakfast area worked "their tails off" to keep things running smoothly. The laundry area was hot, and one machine was not working. This property has outside entrances with no elevator, so request first floor if you do not want to climb steps. The front desk people were helpful and friendly. Our TV/remote did not want to work, so the gentleman from the front desk came up to fix it. The lady at the front desk in the morning was friendly, and answered my questions.

    « Affordable choice »

Nice, clean motel with a good breakfast with made-to-order omelettes. Reasonable price, directly across the street from the falls. Friendly staff. Parking directly by the room. We would stay here again.

    « Family Road Trip »

Greeted by front desk employee at 3AM for check-in. Very polite and welcoming even at that time of the day. Room upgrades with tile bathroom, comfortable mattress and pillows, and a large screen television made the room enjoyable. The fitness and pool areas were great amenities to have at the hotel.

« Very pleasant experience withy this hotel stay »

Was a quite satisfactory experience with this hotel. Great location. Enjoyed the proximity of the river and did a nice river walk hike. The staff was wonderful, friendly, customer oriented and courteous. A particular mention belongs to the breakfast cooks. The two ladies did an outstanding job and prepared a marvelous breakfast. We will recommend this hotel to friends.

    « Excellent customer service »

The staff is fantastic and provides warm and caring customer service. Thank you to Sherry and Sarah Ann. Love the jacuzzi room, the exercise room, the outdoor pool and your yummy omelet bar. So nice to have protein options at breakfast instead of just carbs like some hotels offer. Also love the fact we can have our dog there. Thank you for being pet friendly. We will continue to stay at your hotel for years to come.

We had the double queen room. It had a balcony, a kitchen, a big vanity area. The free made to order omelette was delicious. The staff was very friendly. The room was clean and inviting. It was very close to the July 4th fireworks display.

« Awesome view of river »

This place will definitely be on my list of places to stay again. Not only are the rooms clean and decorated nicely, you can walk across the road and sit by the river. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast in am is also great! When we were there, you could get a made to order omelet. Nice selection of other food and home made banana bread. Flower beds were beautiful too.

    « Very pleasant stay »

Our check in was great. The young man who check us in was very professional, friendly and helped us with several problems by going the extra mile. Breakfast was very good with lots of options. We had a great view. The walking path along the river was an added bonus.

« Great hotel in a great location »

This hotel is easy to find in a great location overlooking the falls. Parking is outside the room. The room was clean and comfortable. There are a number of restaurants within 5 minutes walking distance so eating out is easy. There is also a nice swimming pool in a secluded area out the front. Breakfast was very good and there is a lady on hand cooking omelets to order. The restaurant staff were great and made the experience a good one. The restaurant area is a little small but they managed it well. Overall a great experience.

« Beautiful location, friendly staff and free bikes »

This is not a new place and retains a certain quaintness. The price was more than we expected but this was offset by the park across the street, the Japanese garden within walking distance (free!) and the use of the bikes belonging to the hotel. The bikes were a real bonus. Breakfast was delicious with made-to-order omelets and homemade banana bread. The breakfast alone made it worth the stay. The room was older and we have stayed in rooms of equal or better quality for less money. It was adequate but nothing special. Although there is free wifi, we were not able to maintain a connection for more than a few seconds.

    « I Wish I Could Buy It!!! »

The last four (4) summers we've traveled out west from Ohio, has made me dream of someday owning a small retro - style old school motel that services tourists visiting the western landmarks such as the Grand Canyon, Route 66, the national parks, etc. I think I found the motel I want!!! Are the rooms the biggest, nope!. Are they the prettiest most up to date rooms around, nope! Are they the cheapest around, close but nope! What do they have? The nicest kindest employees encountered on our recent trips. Rooms, albeit small, that have nice satellite flat screen TVs, a small dorm style fridge, a microwave, super sound proofing, and some of the cleanest rooms I've ever seen. I like the idea of being able to pull into a parking space outside our door, and travel 10 feet to the room to unload the luggage. There are two (2) floors to this motel. We were on the 1st floor in Rooms 22 and 23 - connecting rooms. They overlooked the Snake River and falls across the street. AC in the room worked wonderfully - had it set to 63 and it cooled it to at least that. Breakfast was good and included waffles, omlettes, sausage, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, breads, and other standard fare. Syrup for the waffles included butter pecan and blueberry - 2 flavors I have not had since I was a kid. All around the hotel, were planted annuals and perennials which really added to the 'cute' look of the motel. A small outdoor pool also existed. The only and I mean only nitpicky complaint I have is that with all of the annuals and perennials, came a bunch of bees and wasps. Could use a exterminator or 2 to take care of them. Otherwise --- perfection. Thanks much!

    « Busy but excellent »

Excellent, well managed old school motel in perfect location across the street from the Snake River park and a short stroll to the falls. Friendly, competent and fast checkin. Large, very comfortable rooms with fridge and microwave. Fast wifi. 10 minutes' drive to great dinner at Texas Roadhouse.

« Nice place, nice location and nice view. »

This hotel is in a very nice location as it sits right near the river and a short walk across the street gives a good view and a walk along the shore. The hotel its self was nice and clean, service was outstanding. True, it is an older place but it does have personality. Our room was clean and recently redone. There were a couple faults that should have been corrected by the workers but nothing major. However, the bed was too soft for us. Some people like a soft bed and others prefer a firm one.

    5
« Great hotel, beautiful location »

This is a charming hotel right across from the falls. Most of the rooms are drive-up, so it's easy to get your things in and out of the room. The rooms are clean and comfortable and very up-to-date. The free breakfast included an omelette bar, which was delicious. I chose the hotel for its location, so we were able to see the falls in the evening and early morning, but recommend it not only for that but also for the charm and comfort of the hotel itself.

« Perfect stop on way to West Yellowstone »

We are a family of 5 and this was a charming motel and perfectly suited for us. The location was great, the staff was kind, the rooms were clean and the breakfast was wonderful. The landscaping and flowers planted surrounding the property was very nice as well. Highly recommend.

My parents had an accessible room (65) and I had a king (79) and both were great rooms. The bed was super comfortable, great air conditioning, fantastic shower and a really good breakfast. New smaller fitness center and nice hot tub. Located just across the street from the park and falls. Would definitely stay there again.

    5
« Great location and dog friendly »

We have stayed here before. The setting is lovely - right across the street from the river. Rooms with easy outside access for our dog. The whole area feels really safe and we have found dog friendly outside restaurants in walking distance.

« Located across from the falls and walking trail. »

Had a large second floor room with a view. Quiet even though we were above the street. They also take pets so we stay here every time we come through. We did not go down to breakfast til 8:00 and had the place almost to ourselves since most travelers were already on the road. My husband made himself a waffle topped with shipped cream and strawberry syrup.

« The place to stay in Idaho Falls ! »

What a great little hotel !! We used it just as a stop over on our way to Yellowstone but definitely a place I would go back to if given the chance. First of all - GREAT location! Right across from the falls with a great walking path along the river. The hotel has bikes that guest can use free of charge to bike along the river which my son loved. The room was clean - our bathroom was very nice- and the beds were comfy. The pool area was great ... lots of comfy seating and umbrellas. Got into the pool .. not heated and the water was pretty cool .. but well maintained. They even have a lift for those that are handicapped to get in the pool. Did not utilize the hot tub area so I can not speak to that. Then there was the breakfast ... AMAZING ! Made to order eggs, fried potatoes, waffles, sausage plus everything else you may expect at a hotel breakfast !! if there was a complaint it would be the parking area by the office ... very tight and if you have a larger car or van a bit hard to get through that parking lot .. but other than that .. for the price . .you can not beat this hotel!!

    « Good for a night's stay »

« A dump not worthy of a Best Western Plus rating »

We reserved this hotel 8 days prior to our arrival. I had three requirements 1...a view of the falls and 2. an elevator and a king bed room. When this property was booked I spoke directly to the hotel. I asked for a room with a view of the falls and an elevator and a King bed. I was quoted 139.00 for the room. We checked this evening...we were billed 15.00 extra in case we made a hole or burned a hole in the carpet...we were told that they had a 2Qroom with a view of the falls or a King bed upstairs and no...they dont have.an elevator. The first charge, which my credit card company denied was for 198.+ The second charge included the 15.00 charge which will be returned upon check out. What a sad ending to my day.

« Could be nice hotel! »

When we got to our destination and returned a call to our credit card company, we were told our credit card had an attempted charge by the hotel which was declined as fraudulent. There was no reason for the hotel to have charged anything to the credit card because we were using points for our stay. When contacted, the hotel clerk said " Chase always declines on the first attempt by us". This resulted in my having to get a new credit card and spending too much time on the phone to get it all straightened out. If they have a problem with a credit card company, they should get it fixed and not irritate their custimers!

The Best Western Driftwood Inn is a very comfortable motel. It is located close to restaurant's. It is quiet most of the time unless they get a bunch of baseball tournaments going on. You will find out from time to time that they do get booked up. Heather the Desk Manager is good to let you know when the booking will be tight due to advance reservations. You will find that this location is great for the kids. Nice pool. Nice walkways by the Snake River. I would recommend this motel to the family and also to the traveler.

    « Our Yellowstone Visit »

We stayed at this Best Western on our way to Yellowstone National Park. I reserved the room by phone. When we arrived the host advised me that all four family suites were available for the same price and gave us a tour of them all including the one that he had reserved for us. We changed rooms from the one we had originally reserved to the "King George Family Suite". I must say this was probably the nicest motel room that we had ever stayed in and was certainly the nicest lodging of our entire seven day trip. The staff were all courteous and friendly. The breakfast was delicious and filling. We would stay here again and will if we ever return to the area. A beautiful area with river view from our room. Highly recommended.

    « Perfect , as always »

We always stay here when we come to IF. Great location, walking, running paved trails across the street. Rooms are always spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is included and omlet bar is a delght. Bed sheets, pillows, bathroom towels, even the Kleenex are soft! Even ground floor was quiet. Plus is that we could pull right up to our room. A couple of restaurants are within walking distance although we ordered a pizza for delivery from Uncle Bennys just down the street. Won't consider another spot to stay in IF.

When I booked this hotel I knew it was going to be by the snake river, but what I didn't know was that how nice it was. I didn't know it had a beautiful water fall and a walking path with cute little shops up and down the street. The hotel had bikes the kids checked out and rode for hours. Our room had an awesome view and was very clean. We would love to come back for another stay in the future.

« Super Fantastic !! Next to Falls »

This place is right across from Falls. The room was quiet clean lots of space and comfy. The bath room was tiled nicely with two shower heads. They had a nice pool, which never had time to use. We did use the hot tub, which was clean and had the low lighting ambience. There was an omelet breakfast along with other breakfast goodies in a nice lounge setting. They had bikes to use or can take a stroll on the path along the river and falls. I highly recommend staying here.

I needed a weekend away for myself time. I know that when I stay in Idaho Falls the Driftwood Inn is always the best place to stay. It is quiet and relaxing. The rooms are always clean. And there are fresh cookies in the afternoon. Best place to stay in Idaho Falls.

    « An Unexpected Gem »

We had never been to Idaho Falls before and were not sure what to expect but we were not disappointed after checking in to this property. The staff were very pleasant, accommodating and helpful. Although older this property is well-maintained and in a lovely location beside the Snake River Parkway. There are several restaurants within walking distance. The included Breakfast was better than average and even provided made to order omelettes. We will definitely stay here again when in Idaho Falls.

    « Beautiful setting »

This is a beautiful area to stay. It is right on the Snake River, directly across the river from the Idaho Falls Temple (LDS). The rooms are nicely furnished and clean. The staff at the front desk are very friendly. They have a great breakfast, and omelets to die for. I try to always stay in the "River View" rooms as my preference. If you are going to be in this area, the Driftwood is the place to stay!

« Scenic view, Breakfast Made To Order. »

We had a pleasant overnight stay here. The Motel is clean, staff very pleasant, and the Motel is conveniently located along the Snake River. There is a paved path that meanders along the river and at the time of year that we stayed (spring) there were Mallard Ducks and Canada Geese wandering around. The breakfast is superb. Susan was our chef that particular morning, serving each individual with made to order breakfast. Included in the price of the room. The room we were in had a very small bathroom. How small you ask? The bathroom door was ingeniously carved out at the bottom to allow the door to close past the toilet, but the large glass enclosed shower unit made it worth the sacrifice.

    « Charming Little Motel »

Charming, small, older motel located right along the Snake River near the falls. The place has been very well maintained and attractive. We had been traveling on the road for a week and found we liked this place so much more than the newer, modern motels; it has a lot of character and charm. Very comfortable beds, very clean, and real water glasses and coffee mugs in the room. Within walking distance of restaurants. Excellent breakfast in the morning and staff was very nice, pleasant and helpful. If traveling through Idaho Falls be sure to stay in this little oasis. Also Pet Friendly!

« Home away from home »

This motel has it all. When we arrived we found the rooms were clean and comfortable. After a long days drive we went for a nice walk across the street from the motel, along the river. Very picturesque and relaxing. Back to the room for a great sleep. In the morning we enjoyed a fabulous breakfast made by very courteous and cheerful attendants. We continued on our trip knowing we had been treated like royalty.

The Driftwood is a good hotel to stay at. The rooms are nice and clean and the view of the Idaho Falls Temple is actually nice and I'm not religious. The breakfasts are yummy and the service staff at breakfast are very nice. It's a good home away from home :)

    « Excellent Hotel »

My girlfriend and I had an excellent stay at this hotel while we were heading to Missoula, MT from Utah. Great service, great/clean room, quiet, and a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was also very good in the morning. We were able to wake up, get some breakfast and walk across the street to the falls which was awesome. We will definitely be staying here next time we take a road trip.

Great service, great room, great BED! quiet, convenient, easy to find - excellent staff, good breakfast too. if we ever go to Idaho Falls again, we will certainly stay there without looking further. Idaho Falls are beautiful, right outside the hotel.

    « Business Traveler »

I have stayed at the Driftwood Inn in Idaho Falls for 15 to 20 years. I wouldn't have racked up so many stays had I not been satisfied with the quality and the value. It is a family friendly motel. They have a great weight/excise room. The custom omelet breakfast bar is better than any fast food service. The entire experience is great. I highly recommend for anyone considering traveling to West Yellowstone to definitely stopping for a stay at the Best Western Inn, Idaho Falls.

    « Excellent Hotel »

Wonderful hotel! We stayed in the courtyard and our room was very nice! It was decorated nicely, large, had a huge pine tree right out our door! The falls were across the street from us. The have rooms with balconies on the second floor that have views of the river and falls! Breakfast is included however it ends at 9 am so go early!

    5
    « Clean room »

The rooms are very clean. The check in was fast and the staff were very helpful. The motel was a little hard finding the first time, but after that it was good. The motel sits right along the river - very scenic view.

« You won't find a nicer place to stay. »

Room value, friendly staff, wonderful river walk steps from hotel, 24 hour hot tub, breakfast that can't be beat. I hate to write this review and post as i may have trouble booking a room when I need one - the hotel will be fully occupied.

    « Great Experience »

We try to stay here whenever we are in the area at a suitable time of day. This was not our first stay and every time we have been very pleased with the accommodations and the staff. This time we were particularly grateful for the room we were assigned. The room we got was suitable for us - spacious, clean, beautiful walk-in shower with safety bar, strong WiFi, large TV. The location is beautiful, across the street from the falls on the Snake River - very peaceful and quiet, the honking of the geese was the loudest, and that quit at nightfall.

« Good Value and good breakfast »

Stayed for a night at the Driftwood Inn in April. The hotel was a little dated inside and out, but was clean and quiet. The breakfast was great and it's close to restaurants and fast-food if needed for dinner at night. We were able to drive right up to our room so that helped with lugging our suitcases around. Also easy access to get on the interstate in the morning, but not close enough to hear the interstate at night. All in all we would stay here again.

    5
    « Great overnight stay »

Although we just stay overnight we always have enjoyed the breakfast and the evening soup and cookies. Good location and we have never had any unwelcome "surprises". Should imagine if we stayed longer, we would enjoy the bikes!

    « Great little place »

We loved our stay at the Driftwood! Looked a bit outdated from the outside, but what a pearl on the inside. Great staff, breakfast, service, view, and a late check-out time. It's "our place" in Idaho Falls from now on!

My wife and I traveled to Yellowstone and got to tired on our way, and stopped for the night. What a nice hotel. This is go to Hotel in Idaho Falls, Idaho for the past 10 years. We have never been disappointed with the service, the staff, the rooms or the continental breakfast. This is a smaller 1 and d2 storey hotel with a very home like feel. THe hotel is on a beautiful park setting overlooking Idaho Falls Waterfalls.

    « Excellent Hotel »

Staying here was the most enjoyable part of our six day trip to eastern Idaho and northern Utah. This was our second time staying at this hotel. The location is right across the street from the Falls and is central to most attractions. The room was outstanding, with a view of the river out our front window. The breakfast was superb and the omelet bar was a great extra touch. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in this area. Very good all around.

    « Love this hotel!! »

We've stayed at this hotel three different times now and love it every time. The rooms are beautiful, the breakfast room is really cute, the staff is wonderful, and they have made to order omelettes plus fun things to put on your waffles and oatmeal. Also had soup, biscuits, and cookies available for free when we got there and a really great restaurant down the street (Snow Eagle Brewing and Grill). Is also right on the river.

« Don't let the outside fool you »

Driving back to Missoula from the Pac12 tournament in Las Vegas is a long drive, we had to stop somewhere and ended up picking the Best Western Driftwood Inn in Idaho Falls. The hotel is located right next to the Snake River, I wish we had gotten in early enough to enjoy a walk along a beautiful looking location. I have to tell you, the place looked a bit scary from the outside...it reminds one of an old 60s motor hotel, a one-story U shaped collection of identical seedy looking rooms that had seen better days surrounding an asphalt courtyard. But fortunately in this case looks were deceiving. We stopped at the office and were greeted by a friendly clerk who quickly checked us in, told us about breakfast, gave us some freshly made cookies and sent us to our room. The room was recently remodeled and was great inside, very well thought out. Nice carpet and stone tile, extremely comfortable bed, excellent wifi, fridge, microwave, nice tv and a fantastic shower with both a regular shower head and an overhead shower head. We slept well. The next morning we got the included breakfast which was the best free breakfast I've ever had at a hotel. Made to order omelettes, Thomas's English muffins, excellent coffee, juice. It was really impressive and a fantastic way to begin the rest of our drive. I would stay again anytime.

    « Snake River Charm »

If I am in Idaho Falls for a night, I stay at this hotel, as it has everything to recommend it: close to downtown, freeways, and restaurants, very comfortable, great breakfast, the friendliest personnel, and right by the river and all its walking paths. I love to sit by the window, watch the waterfalls on the Snake, and relax after a vigorous walk.

    4
    « Great location »

This is a great little motel. Within ease access of I-15 and all services. The breakfast was super with an omelette bar. It's an older BW but it lacks nothing. Located right on the river and a short walk to the falls.

We chose to stay at the Driftwood as the location is beautiful after a long day of driving we arrived early evening and walked the river path with the ducks and geese.. such a relaxing escape ... the hotel room was spacious and had all the conveniences.. free breakfast was better than most restraunts that you pay for . good value

« Good for the price! »

My husband and I stayed at this motel for 1 night while passing through town. When we pulled it I was a bit concerned by the exterior as it looked like a very outdated motel from the 80's. The rooms all have exterior entrances and parking spaces right in front of the room. Kind of old motel style! They also were very accommodating when we arrived around midnight. Given the exterior condition we were pleasantly surprised by the interior. The room was spacious, had upscale furniture and a very well done bathroom. It seems the interior was remodeled within the last few years and it was done well. We enjoyed their free breakfast before getting back on the road. They offered a large assortment of breakfast items to choose from. Overall pleasantly surprised for the cost and a quick stop over in Idaho Falls.

    « Delightful Best Western »

I stayed here with my 2 cats for several days during a snowstorm and Arctic Freeze. My room was cozy and beautifully decorated, the bed very comfy, and the breakfast was wonderful-- they make omelets to order! The hot tub was also lovely, they have fun strobe lighting that changes colors, and a little waterfall. The staff is friendly and helpful, and was very welcoming to my cats. They also offer delicious homemade cookies every afternoon. There are some good restaurants within walking distance. This is a great place to hole up when it's absolutely freezing and snowing nonstop outside.

    5
« Great staff and View »

If you want a place that is close to everything and has a staff that smiles when you walk in the lobby this is the place. Beds and pillows super. Breakfast very goof eggs cooked to order. I have stayed here a few times in last 2 years and the same staff, this shows they like what they do and where they work

    « Unexpected Jewel »

So, we ran our usual leg North a few extra miles and stopped at Idaho Falls instead of Ogden. Found this place kinda by accident, and what a lucky find! Best Western PLUS!! A bit like me, a little older, but WAY better! Haven't even had the breakfast, yet, but the young man at the desk was so personable and helpful, and the room is so much better than last night's, (at which place; I'm gonna give them a break and let them get their act together: only been open less than a month, and still kinda groping around a bit. Quiet and good coffee, though.) I'm coming back to Idaho Falls. This is really nice!

« Pleasant, quiet stay at the Driftwood »

We spent one night at this hotel during a cross-country travel. It was a pleasant surprise to discover this hotel right along the river and within a 2 minute drive from the freeway. It is very quiet and river walk pathways can be accessed right in front of the hotel. There are several restaurants nearby and the old town is accessible on foot as well. We stayed in the very spacious King George Suite that has a separate bedroom and full size kitchen. The breakfast is abundant and there is an omelet station with a very friendly staff that will make your omelet.

    « A VERY NICE PLACE »

I am always happy to stay at this location. I always get a "River View" room. It is a very peaceful place. When checking in, the person at the desk made sure that I had the kind of room that I usually request (but didn't this time). She also made sure my upcoming stay would be correct. I am always treated with respect and friendliness. The breakfast they have here is great. Make sure you get one of their made-to-order omelets.

    5
    « Very Nice Experience »

We reserved our room in the late morning, by phone, while we were on the road. Everything was in order and our room was ready exactly as we had requested when we arrived in the early evening. There was a good choice of restaurants nearby for dinner. The breakfast in the morning was one of the best we've e had at a Best Western. The home-made omelettes were delicious and made to order. All the staff were very pleasant and accommodating I would definitely stay here again.

    5
    « Couldn't have asked for more »

This hotel was clean, quiet, and conveniently located. Every staff member we encountered went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of, and often did far more than we even asked for. One of the better breakfasts I have had at a hotel in recent years.

    5
    « Wonderful Surprises »

We were upgraded to a lovely room and... the breakfast host makes 'made to order' omelets! The staff went waaay out of their way to make us comfortable. It was a highlight of a 4 week holiday (driving trip)!

    « Idaho Falls »

Located near downtown and across street from the falls it is a very good location. Toilet shower arrangement is to tight but the shower is excellent. Overall I would consider staying here again. It was good for my needs.

    4
    « Nicely remodeled »

Internet service was a tad slow. Bath was nicely remodeled, but pretty cramped - would hate to be a "bigger" person in there. Room was nicely remodeled. Breakfast omelet bar was wonderful! Staff was very kind and helpful.

    5
    « Wonderful Hotel »

This hotel is fantastic! The location is second to none. The rooms were spotless and appeared to be recently remodeled. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was great. The grounds of this hotel and beautiful. It's a quiet location and just across the street from the falls. We had a nice view of the LDS temple from our room. We will definitely stay here again!

    « Mountain Lodge style »

Check-in was done quickly and I received all the information I needed. Our room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The furniture was old style with the feel of a mountain park Lodge. At first I thought the hotel was dated but I think this was intentional. The room was clean and well stocked with amenities. There was a microwave, fridge and coffee maker. This hotel is right on the snake river. It was frozen when we were there but I could still see the beauty of the location. The hotel is also within walking distance to four restaurants. The breakfast was great. This is the first hotel I have stayed at that has an omelet bar. There was an a lady there to make an omelet for you. Nice touch. This hotel was very quiet because it is not on the main road.

    5
    « Nice and affordable »

It was a clean hotel and the staff was so kind. I felt like I had been there before and they knew me. Rooms are clean and breakfast was really good. They had someone making omelets and many other options. Nice lobby area and tables to eat at. Beautiful view of the falls and the LDS Temple across the way.

« A good hotel to drift into. »

The hotel is obviously being refreshed in the off season but that was not an issue. The location is a bit tricky to find but it is worth it as it is very quiet and it would be a great location in the summer. The hot breakfast was great with an omlette station staffed by a very helpful attendendent. Our room had one of the new bathroom shower systems which we liked. And the heating system worked very well. The only issue was getting access to the internet - Wi-Fi was good but it was difficult to get the browser to accept the hotel internet security codes.

« Family trip at Driftwood Inn »

We stayed there for three nights while attending a family wedding in the area in January. Great location, easy to find from I-15 freeway. Quiet rooms with really good beds, we were on second floor with no overhead noise. Good cooked breakfast available 6 to 9AM, coffee & juice & newspapers. Nice, clean hot tub and exercise room with TV.

    5
    « Good value »

The room was very clean and spacious. Getting to the motel was a little hard as it is along the river, but not that bad. I never used the app as the last time I used it I never got the CAA / AMA discount. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quite.

    « Atmosphere »

The room we had was great and cozy! It did not have the hotel smell or feeling it felt more like a home away from home. The room had a stove and they provided pans, plates and silverware in the cupboards. Very nice stay!

« good place, great breakfast »

The location is very good. It is right on the river and very quiet. we had a room that had a full kitchen and was very large compared to most hotel rooms. We very surprised by the breakfast. We saw the reviews and thought...sure, somebody likes the reheated eggs, etc. However, you actually get a cooked to order omelet and some very nice people serving you.

    « Amazing! »

I booked a 2 night stay at the Driftwood Inn to attend my daughters University Graduation in a nearby city as there were no accommodations left close to her school. I was a little apprehensive about driving the 25 min to Rexburg for all the festivities, but all the dissipated once we checked into the hotel. We were greeted by a very friendly front desk clerk who offered us a choice of a ground floor unit or a second floor unit. The rooms were clean and well maintained and had everything that we needed in them. There was a 24/7 hot tub that my husband and son took advantage of a few times. The breakfast in the morning was incredible! There was an omelette bar with a very kind hard working lady who would make your eggs just how ever you wanted them! Then after wards , she would offer to clear your dishes! The staff really was wonderful! Lastly let me say that it was easy access to and from the highway and the view from our room was perfect, over looking the river which was partly frozen, stunning! I would recommend this hotel to everyone and would book it again ! #awesome

Excellent employees, very clean comfortable bed, great breakfast... what more could we ask for.. Even though they had a water main break and the lobby was being repaired, the staff made sure their exceptional service with a smile was still there. Located across the street from the river provides a nice walk to stretch the legs after a long drive. The room was comfortable with a wonderful bed. Breakfast was made be a wonderful lady who made your eggs however you wanted them. Overall a great experience.

Driftwood Inn delivered another great stay. Great complimentary breakfast - omelettes made for you. Clean rooms. Overlooking the beautiful falls. Always great staff and fellow guests. Sarah Ann at the front desk helped with a unexpected challenge. Thanks again and we will be back.

    « Plus and minus »

This hotel was right by the Green Belt which was nice. It also had an omelet bar with a staff person taking your egg order which my boyfriend loved. The ceiling in our bathroom leaked when the people above us took a shower. Our room had a smell which might have been from mold in the bathroom and the room was a little worn. We were also by the stairs and could hear people going up and down. Maybe a different room might give this hotel a higher rating.

    4
« Great location. Good budget accomodation »

Overall generally quite pleasant. The hotel was clean and tidy. Easy access to surrounding scenery and shops. Council path upgrades will be fantastic when complete. Room was a little musty and I don't like having to tip someone for cooking me an egg.

« Good value - would be a great place to stay in summer »

There are many good things to say about this Motel, rating of a 4 is due to somewhat dated and smaller rooms. The employees were very friendly and helpful, quick check in and check out. There was a very good breakfast. A lady was making fresh omlets and there was delicious fresh made banana bread. It is located right along the river which is beautiful with nice walking paths. There is an outdoor pool and noticed there were chairs outside of the rooms to sit on and look out over the river. The rooms themselves are smaller and a bit dated, but there was a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Beds were comfortable with nice duvets and the room was clean. Overall good value for the price and we would definitely stay again in nice weather. I would consider a hotel with indoor amenities in the colder months.

    4
    « Enjoyed Our Stay »

Room was small but enjoyable. There was a fridge and microwave in the room which made it nice for snacks. WiFi was great. Breakfast was good as there was a person who made eggs to order and a waffle machine with multi syrups and berries for the waffles along with cereal, sweet rolls, toast, muffins, juices and fresh fruit.

    4
    « Nice »

Rooms were nice and comfortable, which was a plus since it was 5°F outside. The view of the river was a plus and the river trail was just across the road which was handy since we were traveling with our dog. We will stay here again.

    « New, clean, pleasant! »

Newer, clean hotel across street from Snake River. Very nice rooms, great lobby and breakfast with homemade banana bread. We booked on Trip Advisor and something went wrong. Although the hotel would not honor the price, they came close and were very pleasant to work with which was appreciated!

    « Great breakfast! »

The overall property was very clean and quiet, right across a narrow street from the Snake River. We arrived after our car broke down in the Middle of Nowhere, Montana. It really wasn't the middle of nowhere but we could see it from where we broke down. Needless to say things were pretty stressful, but as soon as we arrived at the Best Western the folks did everything to help make it a better day. Whatever you do don't miss breakfast, the made-to-order omelets are outstanding. We will be sure to come back to this property.

    « Nice location »

Met up with a dear friend from Wyoming, I'm from Sun Valley so it was a short ride for both of us to get there. Was greeted by a friendly squirrel outside the lobby, gave me a chuckle apparently he was use to people. Very friendly lady checked us in. Nice room clean and very quiet. I didn't realize how many people were there until the next morning when I came out to my car and saw a full parking lot. I will stay there again for sure!!

    4
    « Beautiful location »

This hotel overlooks the Snake River and there is a paved path and park across the road on the river. We had a small but comfortable room in the inner courtyard/parking area so while we didn't have a view from our room, there were others that do. Good WiFi. The breakfast, including a made to order omelet, was included. It was within walking distance to several restaurants.

    « Clean and Comfortable »

Our room was clean and comfortable. The bed and pillows we had were very comfortable and we slept well! Continental Breakfast was excellent! Beautiful view across the street. Everyone we came in contact with was very nice. The hotel itself is not brand new so I won't use the word excellent but overall we enjoyed it.

« Great place and a very good staff running the hotel »

We were in a group that stayed here one night. The front desk staff were great and check in was very easy. The rooms are a little older, but were very nice and comfortable. Just across the street is the falls with a great view of the city and Snake River. Their breakfast was above average for a Best Western. Would stay here again in a heart beat.

    « Not impressed »

First and last time staying at this hotel Hotel lobby smelled like it was 100 years old. Check in was not pleasant. Hotel in very bad location and no parking for larger vehicles. Would not recommend this hotel.

    « Good value »

The staff were very friendly. The value of the romm was very good. Breakfast is plentiful and a good selection. Room was clean. A ways off of the interstae, but worth the drine for the value. This is the first time I stayed in Idaho Falls, will make sure this is on one of my stop lists from now on.

    « Best Western Experience »

This was my first Best Western experience and happily it proved to be exceptional! I was met with a friendly greeting at registration, all information provided at that time was professionally delivered, easily understood and exactly correct; the room was as advertised which included everything I needed. Breakfast was GREAT! Checkout was too easy as well. Well Done Best Western Driftwood Inn, Idaho Falls!

    « Wonderful! »

Great room for a larger group. Our room had 3 bed! So unexpected! Wonder breakfast with fresh omelets made to order and everyone was very friendly and helpful. The grounds are also beautiful and it is right across the street from the falls and park.

    « Quiet clean suite »

We "dropped in" without reservation at 8pm on a Wednesday. Johnny at front desk said he was down to the last room available, but it was a suite with a full kitchen and extra room, both king size beds. We were looking for the internet $60 room, but this suite was more than twice the price. Tired and hungry, after looking at the room we negotiated a compromised price. Well, the exhaust bathroom fan was inoperable, the toilet water turned on and off about every 6-7 minutes all night, the towel bar was absent, and the shower drain was quite slow. The pillows are about as big as a postage stamp, but there were a lot of 'em. It was an adequate room with a full size 'frig, just nothing horrible nor nothing special. The especially nice things are the exceptional sweet woman who makes custom omelet plates for breakfast, and the location being across the street from "the falls" there in Idaho Falls. I recommend the second floor, it is quieter from the number of diesel pickup trucks from construction crews starting up very early in the morning. Make no mistake, Idaho Falls is a beautiful area and the people are friendly with sweet sense of humor.

    « Great stay »

Great location. The rooms are clean. Breakfast was the BOMB! They make eggs to order and have a HUGE spread to choose from. Front desk clerks were friendly and helpful. No elevator though. Would recommend. Asked for a quiet room with a view and that is what we got!

« Pleasant Stay in Idaho Falls »

Stopped here on drive down South and we were very pleased with our stay. The Cat was welcomed and the beds were the most comfortable I have ever experienced at a hotel. I hope to stop by again in the spring. The hot tub was so relaxing after a long drive from Calgary.

    « Clean, Comfortable, Convenient »

Stayed only one night at the Driftwood Inn while passing through Idaho Falls. We were pleasantly surprised to find this nicely remodeled, clean, Best Western in a quiet location right across a small street from the Snake River. Rooms are large, beds are comfortable, Wireless internet signal was strong. We stay often with the Best Western chain and are baffled by Best Western's hotel rating system. The quality of the rooms and service at the Driftwood Inn is clearly on par with many Best Western Plus hotels even though the Driftwood does not have the "Plus" designation. We would not hesitate to return to the Best Western Driftwood Inn.

« Overnight on way to Palm Springs »

Very nice stay, arrived late and the front desk attendant was nice enough to upgrade our room for the booked price. The room was clean and comfortable, although a bit dated. If you are looking for a rate call directly to the hotel as the travel sites did not give as good a rate. The breakfast was exceptional, with th omelette bar and the homemade banana bread highlights. The staff were friendly and accomodating.

    « Nice location »

Stayed for one night in room 88 just across from the hot tub and near the entrance but noise was not an issue. The hotel is nicely situated along the river with a pathway for a pleasant stroll. Parking is a bit tight so we had to park our vehicle with bike trailer on the street in front. Staff were pleasant but were not always at the front desk. I waited several minutes for someone to appear a couple of times (no buzzer) which seemed unusual. The room was very nice and comfortable. Breakfast was so-so and crowded. Good value overall.

« Great stop for traveling with a pet! »

This is a great small MOTEL right on the river trail. The rooms have been remodeled and are super clean, the walking is exceptional and there are several great restaurants less than a block away. Nope this isn't the most hip hotel but it is a great place for travelers (and their dog) to take a nice break from the road.

    « Watch your Visa! »

We had decided to drive and find a place when we decided to stop. We ended up driving an extra 2 hours to find a room. We called ahead and got a room at the Driftwood Inn after driving for 11 1/2 hours. At check in, the man could not find a reservation for us then assigned us a room but had to run and check it! That should have been our first clue. We drove up and put our stuff in the room, door didn't open and close properly, toilet didn't flush properly and bathtub dripped. All we wanted to do was jump into the large hot tub and crawl into bed. He also said the system was done so they would charge us when we checked out. The next morning we were told that the room we were giving was not suppose to be rented out so the girl on the desk gave me a discount. A couple days later I checked my visa and we were charged twice! I've called the hotel a few times only to be told only one person can help me and that person is never there. I've left my phone number and 5 days later I still have not spoke to a person! Unfortunately I got a Best Western survey before I realized all of the problems I was going to have and gave it a better rating than I should have.

« Great location, nice room »

We really liked staying here. The room was clean & quiet, the beds were comfortable, the wifi was good. They had a very nice park across the street and we took advantage of the views of the Falls while walking our dog. The gal manning the desk in the lobby was very helpful suggesting where to go for dinner. We found a Fantastic place just one block down the street with great food and beers. The breakfast at this Inn was wonderful! They had a gal who would take your order and make you any kind of omelet you wanted, and they had lots of other great things to choose from as well. Overal the pricing was great, the room was great, the whole experience was wonderful. If I ever come that way again, this is where I am staying!

« Best Value and Service »

Extremely courteous and helpful staff. Clean rooms and beautiful view of the River. Breakfast was good and really enjoyed the spa. The weather was unusually warm but the pool was closed and bikes had been put up for winter. Certainly not the staff's fault! We could not get the TV Remote to work, but the front desk attendant came right up and fixed it for us. While he was there he checked the frig for us which had been turned off. The toilet ran during night and we let the front desk know when we checked out. It was not enough of a bother to keep us up and everything else seemed to function just fine.

« Best Western, Idaho Falls »

The hotel was on the river for a nice view. The room was clean and good size. The beds were comfortable. Being off the main road, the stay was quiet. The staff were friendly, especially the woman making the omelets at breakfast. The breakfast was one of the best we have ever had. Definitely liked this hotel.

    « ADA gem »

Stayed in ADA room #A. Excellent roll in shower and large bathroom if using lift to help someone maneuver. Room to store equipment in room and still had room to move around. Will stay here again.Don't be alarmed by the tight parking on the properly next to office. Location of ADA room is in a different area with easy parking access with ADA parking close to room.

« Low Value; Staff Indifferent »

First the good - breakfast, including the omelette bar, was very good for complimentary style meals. The grounds were clean and staff was welcoming at check-in, but our reservation from the central booking number was not in the local system upon arrival. We made the resv about an hour before showing up. From there is goes downhill at this place. Noisy, noisy, noisy....not enough to call and complain because it is a function of the type of guests (inconsiderate mostly) and the room location. Guests were up through midnight opening and closing doors, in and out of vehicle doors, and then up again at 5am. The early morning is expected of hard working people. We get that. What we were disappointed in was two-fold. First, the room (75) was located next to the ice/vending/laundry room and the door has no bumper on it to cushion the close. Clunk, clunk...all evening and then early morning. The second part was that when we brought this up with the staff in the a.m. (Oct 6 was check-out day), the front staff simply said "yes" when we highlighted the noise. Hint to staff - at least make an attempt to appear concerned. What poor customer service. The room - no sink stopper in the wash sink; 3 inches of water builds up in the bath when taking a shower. Bed was comfortable. Of the 4 hours sleep we got, it was good. Too bad the overall experience was a bust.

« Good bed, great breakfast »

This hotel is an older building, but the decor has been updated and the shower worked well. It is easy to get to and the river and falls are very close. The parking lot is small and tight, so big vehicles may want to park on the street. It seemed a popular option. The breakfast was great--made to order omelets and other food choices. We are off carbs, and we were able to eat breakfast here. We would stay here again!

This is a very nice motel with a fabulous location right across from the falls. We enjoyed a delicious hot breakfast with an omelet bar with made to order omelets or eggs. Other hot items are also available in a very pleasant dining area. The rooms are comfortable, showers are great, beds are comfy and the pet rooms are especially clean.
