« Amazing staff and Services »

Every thing you could possibly want or need is available in a moment's notice from these accommodating people. LOVE the Best Western in Harbor Springs. In addition it is nicely located close to any activity, but not in a busy area.

« Home away from home »

I spent three months on a project in Harbor Springs, MI and stayed at the Best Western there. Mike and his staff helped make my stay more enjoyable and less stressful while I was away from home. Sandy and the rest of the desk staff were always ready to offer suggestions on where to go to eat or just relax. Their knowledge about the area was superb and suggestions always spot on.

« Beautiful and Clean Best Western Harbor Springs! »

My sister and I were immediately impressed with the beauty and cleanliness of this hotel. The staff were amazing, so very nice. The location is perfect, very close to the scenic Tunnel of Trees drive and to Petoskey. The pool and hot tub area was incredibly clean and the hot tub did not have that strong chemical smell that burns your eyes just walking near it. IT WAS FANTASTIC. It was large and deep, with just the right height for sitting. WELL DONE! We will come back next year for sure. The breakfast was great and again, very clean kitchen area. The owners have done some wonderful updates!

« Very clean with professional staff »

I have stayed at this best Western twice now and it is always clean and comfortable. The hotel has vary comfortable beds. the location is also very convenient to both Petoskey and Harbor Springs and the bike paths.

« Great place to stay »

Very clean and updated rooms. All seem to be brand new. Suites are amazing and worth the cost for a few nights of "feeling at home." I would recommend this hotel to everyone planning on going to the area

« Fall colors and great room! »

We stayed at the Best Western of Harbor Springs. Surprised to find such clean modern bathrooms. Obviously recently redecorated. While there was not a bar/restaurant in the hotel, we were given great recommendations. Would recommend.

    « Great Accomodations »

We have stayed here on several occasions when we visit northern Michigan. It is one of the best motels in the area, especially for the value. Each time we have stayed there, improvements have been made to keep it very up to date. The rooms are always spotless, linens are always fresh and like new and the beds are comfy. The pool area is pristine with the cleanest hot tub I've ever seen, consistently. The breakfast area again shines with cleanliness. There is a nice variety of offerings to start your day off right. The grounds are well kept and beautiful year round. This is a great place to stay to visit all of the great attractions in the area, including The Tunnel of Trees, Mackinac Island, Cross Village, Petoskey, Charlevoix, and the Boynes. Can't wait until next time!

« Great place to stay »

Stayed at this hotel (room 131 and 132) in October. Great quiet rooms with a very helpful and nice staff. The rooms have been renovated and were very nice. Nice job on the bathrooms. They were updated and very modern. The showers were fantastic! They were a walk-in shower no tub. So for families with small children you may want to make note. Keurig coffee maker in the rooms, which was a nice touch. Highly recommend staying at this hotel.

    « Tunnel of trees »

We stayed in one of there suites. It was fantastic fireplace, complete kitchen and two full bathrooms. Very convenient to the Tunnel of Trees. Very friendly staff. We would definitely stay there again!!!!

    « Had a wonderful stay here »

We were looking to do some biking and color touring in northern Michigan. This hotel is in a perfect spot close to everything we wanted and yet outside of the hustle and bustle of a tourist town. It is all one level and we were able to park right at our door, which allowed us to keep an eye on the car and our bikes! Price was a bit higher than we like to pay, but considering the area and the Fall Color Season rates were in effect everywhere, it was not out of line. Especially for such a modern, clean, and well kept property. Great Job folks!!

    « Great stay »

This motel is a good example of why we choose Best Western whenever possible on a road trip. Check-in staff very friendly and helpful. The room was up to date and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The location was great for a fall color tour. Highly recommend.

« Beautiful area friendly people »

The hotel was decent for the cost. We booked through Priceline, which saved a lot of money, but in doing so, the hotel management treated us a bit as second class. Did not mind too much was not there for the hotel. The shoreline is incredible. Visited the towns of Harbor Springs, Petoskey, Bay Harbor and Charlevoix. Each quaint town was enjoyable. Petoskey Brewery had a fantastic hamburger with an olive spread. Mustang Salley's in Harbor Springs had one of the best breakfast dishes (incl smoked salmon) "i've ever had. Original Pancake House in Bay Harbor was great as well, plus it is a nice area with some nice upscale shopping. Can not with to head up there again and again. People are very friendly.

    5
    « Amazing »

The room was clean and updated, I like that the rooms were directly to the outdoors. The shower was pleasant and breakfast was good. I would stay here again. It is in a decent location if you are looking to see beautiful scenery.

    « Renovated rooms »

My husband and I recently stayed here so we could see the fall colors. Front desk staff was wonderful at check in. They even called the room once we settled in to see if everything was to our liking. The room was spacious and recently updated. New carpet, tile and bathroom fixtures. Location is perfect for visiting the Petoskey area. Plenty of parking.

    « Delightful interlude. »

Clean. Comfortable. Generous room size. Friendly, efficient staff. Great location between Petoskey and Harbor Springs. This will now be our go-to place to stay. Usual but tasty breakfast choices available in a nice breakfast room.

    5
« Visiting relatives and color tour »

We had a very good experience with this motel. Front desk, breakfast people and ladies that clean were all very friendly. Also talked to the owner. Always a very nice and convenient place to stay. Breakfast could have offered eggs, bacon or other meat . Also the breakfast area is very small and crowded during the breakfast time.

    5
« Great family run hotel »

Have used this hotel before when we are in this area and we highly recommend them. Very nice rooms, especially remodeled bathrooms, loved the walk-in shower. Indoor pool/hot tub are great. Close to restaurants, Petoskey State Park, short drive to Mackinaw City, etc.

    5
« Great customer service and location »

The hotel was nice and the service was even better. It is in a great location to the tunnel of trees and Petosky. I would recommend this also for those that have difficulty walking as you can pull right up to the rooms.

    5
« Good deal, good crew »

Pleasant staff at this budget motel in an area where you won't find many budget motels. I got mine through Price line for $65/night midweek early October. Standard free continental breakfast , clean room with walk-in shower, nice pool and hot tub.

    4
    « Enjoyed stay »

Very nice motel. Friendly staff. Nicely located between Petoskey and Harbor Springs. Nicely located close to the bike and running path. Easy to find. Staff was helpful in recommending places to eat with some history of the places.

« Above and beyond great experience »

for a hotel/motel in the this price range, I think we got more than friendly service and sincere, special efforts to create a great experience. Missing items in the room were brought to us quickly. check out was easy and happy. cleanliness superb. Breakfast was done well for what it was.

    5
    « Surprise, suprise! »

What a treat! Clean. Modern. Affordable. My only complaint was that the bed was a bit soft, but this is personal preference. Everything else was perfect! It is close to M119 and perfectly located between Petoskey and Harbor Springs.

    5
    « Golf Trip »

Best Hotel for the money in the Petosky/Harbor Springs area. My go to hotel when we golf Bay Harbor and Boyne. We come from Tampa Florida and I never look to stay at any other hotels. Rooms are remodeled and clean. Very convenient location.

    5
    « Planning a return visit »

My friend and I plan an annual weekend for a home tour in the Petoskey area. Normally we stay at other prominent hotels. Since all of the hotels in the area were booked, we tried the BW of Harbor Springs. I'm so glad we did! Everything was well organized from the check-in to the breakfast. The room was clean with a great deal of space. I will definitely stay again next year.

    4
« Right next to a small airport and about 2 miles from state park »

We drove on past Petoskey and stayed overnight at another Best Western right between Petoskey and Harbor Springs. Very interesting observation = there appears to be a paved walking / bike trail all the way between Charlevoix and Harbor springs (good 25 miles). Best Western of Harbor Springs (very nice accommodations with a Jacuzzi in our room). Neat thing about both yesterday's Best Western and this one is everything is brand new and well appointed. The only down side for the pool at this location is they do not allow any liquid refreshments in the pool area. Giving this place a 4 hinge rating (scale of 1-5).

    5
    « A Best Western Boutique »

A gem in Harbor Springs. Very clean rooms and grounds. very friendly staff. Family owned and operated. Owners are on site daily and want to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. I recently stayed here while on business. Can't say enough about this property.

Excellent staff, clean everywhere, pleasant experience ! Situated conveniently close to many points of interest in the area of Upper Michigan. Mackinac Island , Cross Village, Petoskey and very good restaurants. Enjoy !

« Nice room, terrible desk help »

Making the reservation was okay. We were lied to right away because we mentioned that we would be getting there later because we got out of work at 5pm and the front desk lady said "Well you better not be too late because our office is not 24 hours, we close the office at midnight". Her operating hours obviously because when we did check in around 9:30pm the a different front desk girl said if we had any questions they were open until 2am. Then the conference that my finance was at was running later than expected so I called the front desk and asked if it was possible to check out later and the first desk help lady we made reservations with said " The best I can do is noon because I have people waiting for that room" but it was super degrading the way she said it. Terrible customer service. Spend your money elsewhere where they value you like a paying guest and not an inconvenience. Other than the front desk worker, the room was clean and the bathroom was updated. The breakfast was okay too.

    « Can't wait to get back! »

Best stay experience, period. Staff is excellent, room was perfect, view was amazing, pool as sparkling, clean, clean, clean, the best! Did I say that? Yes! St. Ignace is a working port town and very historical.

    « Great Place! »

We needed to stay a night after a golf tournament & this was the most reasonably priced option. We're glad we chose it! The room was spotless & very modern! The breakfast area was spotless & very updated as well! We are big fans of the homemade waffles offered at places we stay & they had a great little station complete with fresh blueberries! We will definitely stay here again next year!

« A great value in the offseason but gouge fest in the summer! »

I've stayed at this hotel twice in the past year, once by myself, and once with my fiancee. Both stays were booked through priceline and the prices I'm giving include everything. Both stays were during the week and not on a weekend. The first time, with my fiancee was great! It was March, 2016, and we just took a relaxing trip to northern Michigan to look at real estate. The room was very nice and comfortable, and even though its on a busy corner of 2 highways, the noise from the road at night was not that bad. We stayed 2 nights and the average price was about $60/night with all fees and taxes included. The 2nd time I was by myself in mid-may 2016 and though the room wasnt as nice and was closer to the road, the noise was still not a problem. The cost that time was $68. Still very reasonable. I stopped in on a Monday night in early August just to see what they were charging and they quoted me a price of $180!! I'll go out and buy a tent and sleeping bag and stay at a State Park before I pay that much for one night in an above-average hotel!! At least I get to keep what I bought afterwards. They told me "this is the going rate!" Yeah for suckers! Anyways, this is very common among the hotels in northern Michigan. I then proceeded to drive to Gaylord and got a nice room at the Baymont Inn for <$100. Lesson learned. This is a nice place and the pool and hot tub and breakfast are a great value, and if you like paying through the nose you can stay here in summertime too! PS: If you get Carol at the desk, she is very friendly and helpful.

« Nice place to stay! »

We went north to bike and stayed here. Very nice room that was clean. Good location as well. The area is busy In the summers. Would definitely stay here again. We had a king bed with jacuzzi. It was also quiet.

    5
    « Harbor Springs »

Great place with owner on site wanting to make everything perfect. And they did. Close to Petoskey and all sporting sites. Would go back. Need 200 Characters so will keep writing. Hope this does it. Nope need more - - - Petoskey - is a nice area.

    5
    « Excellent customer service! »

Very clean hotel with OUTSTANDING customer service! The continental breakfast also was great and exceeded my expectations! There was also a very good restaurant (Polish Kitchen) for dinner - within easy walking distance, and the hotel is a very short drive from all the good stuff in Harbor Springs.

    « Never Again! »

The location is what we were looking for.....close to the Tunnel of Trees. Since we had a truck with a trailer (motorcycle inside), we chose this motel because of the large, open, flat parking lot. The staff was very accommodating with the parking and we had a clear view of the truck/trailer. We were absolutely gouged on the price of the room ($269) for the first night. Really......its an old motel room with a cheap remodel job. There were no shelves or anything to set things on in the shower. The hot tub does not have grab bars and is very dangerous to get in and out of. The bedspread and carpet are dark and drab. You can see daylight through the door opening. The room did not have a warm feel to it at all. The room was SUCH a disappointment for what we paid. Honestly.....we paid the same amount for a posh historic room at the Island House on Mackinac Island. Shame on the "family owners" for gouging guests like that. There are plenty of other places to stay.....thank goodness!!

    « Best Best Western »

This is a family-owned facility and very well kept. Extremely clean and recently updated. We have stayed here for the past five years .Breakfast is standard hotel breakfast, well stocked. Employees are willing to fulfill requests promptly. All are friendly and willing to help make your stay pleasant.

    5
« The first part of the name says it all!!! »

We have stayed in a few Best Westerns in our travels, but this was absolutely the best one we have stayed in. The staff at the check-in counter were very polite and helpful, and the room was fantastic (especially the shower and the area of the bathroom sink. The bed was very comfortable, and we enjoyed walking on what looked like brand new carpeting. The room must has recently been renovated, because everything looked '"fresh" and clean !

    5
    « Excellent!! »

This hotel was a great place to stay to explore the Harbour Springs area. The room and grounds were spotless. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The kids loved breakfast making waffles the fresh blueberries were a great touch.

    5
    « Excellent Choice! »

My husband and I stayed at this hotel while traveling on vacation. Positives: everything was new, rooms were large and clean, breakfast included, helpful and polite staff, keurig coffee maker, hairdryer that worked extremely well. Negatives: doesn't allow pets, need someplace to put soaps and things in the shower (only one tiny shelf). We would definitely stay here again!!

  • 5
    « Great Value »

We have stayed multiple times over the past few years and this is a great location and excellent value for Petoskey / Harbor Springs. Excellent, comfortable rooms; clean and neat property, great staff and located in the middle of all resort area activities. It's the only place we stay and I'm a Marriott and Hilton member.

    3
« Decent stay and grounds »

Not a bad place to stay. The pool looks nice, but we did not have a chance to swim. The staff is friendly. Make sure you make it to the breakfast on time! We arrived at 10:02 and they were locked up and lights off, not to friendly if you ask me in this department. They start cleaning rooms early, so be sure to leave your sign on your door to do not disturb. You can hear them knocking few doors away, so just weather the noise if you can. Try to stay in a room not facing the main road, too. If you call in advance you could probably get a deal, we called the day before, got a room, but very expensive for just an overnight.

    5
    « Outstanding »

Easy to find with easy access in and out. VERY CLEAN, wonderful friendly staff. Great breakfast ,nice rooms & very quiet. Well kept grounds and the flowers were beautiful. I would recommend this to anyone heading to Harbor Springs .

    5
    « Great hotel »

This hotel is newly renovated and one of the best we have stayed in. The pool and hot tub are very nice and the laundry facilities were helpful, too. There is also a little playground for small children and a continental breakfast. My only wish is that there was more hot food for breakfast and that there was bathtub in the room instead of only a shower. While the shower was beautiful, it was difficult with a three year old who prefers the bathtub.

    4
    « Weekend getaway »

Nice clean stay. Renovated room, comfortable bed with shower but no tub.Good location between petoskey and harbor springs. Friendly staff that was helpful in making suggestions for things to do or places to eat. Would definitely stay again.

    3
« Nice place but nothing special »

After reading all the wonderful reviews, I probably expected more than I should have. Understand that this is a motel, not a hotel, one floor with doors opening to the outside. When traveling with younger kids, I'm not fond of this kind of setup, for safety reasons. That said, this is a nice, clean facility, recently renovated. We stayed in a double queen room with two queen beds and the room was a decent size. Beds were pretty comfy and the pillows were plush for a good night's sleep. Relatively quiet if you like to sleep in. The breakfast options were slim: two types of cereal, waffles, boiled eggs, breakfast sandwiches, muffins, coffee and juice. We ate there once because we couldn't fathom eating the same thing every day for 6 days. I think it's worth noting that this facility is located conveniently between Petoskey and Harbor Springs and convenient for day trips to Mackinac Island and other cool towns up north.

    5
    « Excellent Stay! »

This hotel is a gem! Every aspect of our stay was excellent! The staff does an awesome job. Checkin and checkout was great! Hotel is spotless! Very clean and updated rooms, comfortable beds - my husband and I slept great! The breakfast is by far the best! We will definitely be staying here again. Everyone from the owner to the housekeeping staff made sure that everything was taken care of .

    5
« Great stay in Harbor Springs/Petosky area »

Traveling through to the Upper Peninsula and realized this would be about as far as we could go and would need to stop for the night. Decided to be hip and use the smart phone to look for reviews on Trip Advisor. The Best Western in Harbor Springs not only had great reviews, we could book through Trip Advisor and get a rate less than half the rate published elsewhere. Was our first time using the Trip Advisor online booking service, was easy to use and worked perfectly--even for a middle age lady using fingers on the phone from the passenger seat in the car bouncing down a bad road! The check-in process was quick and easy upon arrival, and the front desk staff spent over 30 minutes answering our questions about things to see and do in the area and in the U.P., and the best routes to get there. They even took time to check the weather forecast and advise modifications to our plans so that we'd have good weather for those activities that would require it. The breakfast area is a little small and cramped for the number of folks trying to use it at the same time, but all the guests patiently made it work. It had been listed as "continental breakfast" so I was pleasantly surprised to see there were some hot items as well--make your own waffles and a generous variety of breakfast sandwiches and breakfast burritos that could be microwaved. Our room itself was spotless and obviously recently updated, including a Keurig coffeemaker. Bathroom had a beautifully tiled walk-in shower (no tub) giving the room a more upscale feel. The entire property was very well-maintained and clean. You can't go wrong with staying here.

    5
« One night but wish we had more time! »

Great place to stop and rest up and even neat a little. Super clean, very pleasant staff. The price was excellent for what we got which included amenities like pool, complimentary breakfast, fitness center and laundry. We picked up pizza from Pipers and got beer and wine from the General Store nearby and had a nice picnic in the large yard. There is ample space to run the kids around and a play set with swings. Hubbie ran on a path around the lake that has access right near the rooms. Would stay here again for sure!

    5
    « Another Great Stay! »

We stayed here last year and were so impressed that we made a return visit. It's even better! All of the rooms have been upgraded with new bathroom facilities, carpet and new furniture coming soon. The breakfast area has also been updated. The breakfast offerings are above the usual fare, from Jimmy Dean Breakfast sandwiches to fresh picked blueberries, and much more in between. The owner is unobtrusively present in the breakfast room, making sure each guest is comfortable and satisfied. The pool area is pristine; the hot tub one of the best ever. The grounds are lovely and well maintained. There are a variety of rooms to fit every need. You will be very pleased with this establishment!

  • 4
« Great Place but could use a Breakfast upgrade. »

Extremely well maintained exterior and rooms. Very comfortable beds. Very clean. Kureg in the room so we had good coffee. My only disappointment was that the breakfast needs more hot selections. Waffle maker and microwave b'kfast sandwiches were about it. To their defense, it was advertised as continental breakfast and that's what we got. I still highlt recommend the place.

    4
« Good location for Bike trail riders. »

Bike path runs around the back of the hotel, so you can enter from the property. The hotel is located so that if your a weekend rider you can take your time and ride comfortably at your own pace. We were novice bikers and had no problem going to Harbor Springs. Both Petoskey and Charevioux had rather challenging hill's on the return trips. But after a week of riding we learned how to navigate the hills easier.

    5
« Updated, Clean and Spacious! »

This was a slam dunk for me. Not having much knowledge of the hotel prior I was pleasantly surprised. The pictures did not do it justice. It was very nice and clean. Close to everything in either Petoskey or Harbor Springs. Love the area and will stay again.

    5
« Great place to stay! »

Family owned and run very well. Room had been nicely updated. Fridge and microwave was nice to have. Small gym and indoor pool was nice enough. Plenty of seating around the property to enjoy the beautiful summer days. Very convenient to the airport if you need access to it.

    5
    « Outstanding »

Best Western Harbor Springs is by far the best hotel/motel I have stayed at ever. The owners and employees are passionate about there work and property. I would highly recommend staying here while exploring Harbor Springs and surrounding area.

« Comfortable and convenient lodging »

The location of this motel is perfect. It is equidistant between Petoskey and Harbor Springs and on the road to Mackinac Island. The rooms are clean and currently being remodeled. The bathroom in our unit had already been redone. The shower was very well- designed and safe. The staff and owners were pleasant. The lady at the desk gave us great touring and dining advice. Great place for staying while visiting northern Michigan.

    5
    « Clean »

This is a family owned hotel. Exceptional place. The room we had booked had a large jetted tub and it was so clean. Had an indoor pool, breakfast and wifi. It is close to both Harbor Springs and Petoskey. I am sure you would enjoy you stay as we did.

    « Weekend get away »

Beautiful accommodations. Updated, modern and super clean. Nice pool, hot tub and workout room. Very friendly and helpful staff. Close to area attractions, bike path and Harbor Springs activities. Can't wait to plan a return trip. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.

« Nice economical place to stay near Harbor Springs! »

If you are on a budget, but still value having a nice, clean hotel - - this is a great choice for Harbor Springs! - - Vacation rentals are very expensive in this area, so having this very nice Best Western available is a nice choice for budget-minded travelers. - - - We asked for a room around back (to avoid highway noise) and it was very quiet. - - Breakfast was nice, we enjoyed the sandwich. Met one of the owner's sons, very nice gentlemen. Would definitely stay again.

« One of the best hotels I have stayed at »

The rooms are impeccably clean. This property is top-notch, very well maintained. They just completed a renovation and are bringing in new furniture, not that it's needed. Spent time talking with the Manager, Mike, great guy. I highly recommend this property.

The hotel is always great - the rooms are clean - the staff is helpful & friendly - pool & breakfast areas are outstanding. The recent remodel is another plus - the owner are always improving the property.

    « Very friendly staff! »

We were totally thrilled with the service we received at this hotel. The staff was extremely helpful, and friendly. The hotel is being renovated, but it isn't a bother at all. Our room was newly renovated and is beautiful with many pillows, and a kuerig coffee maker. The towels were nice and thick and the bed was very comfortable. We met Michael, the manager who went out of his way to talk to us and welcome us to the hotel. I don't think I have ever felt so welcome as I did at this Best Western. It is extremely easy to get into your room because it is a hotel, so no stairs to take! The pool, and hot tub were fantastic. My favorite part was the well supplied continental breakfast. Make your own waffles, complete with fresh blueberries if desired, hard boiled eggs, and to my surprise, even gluten free cereal! Thank you for a very lovely stay at your hotel. I cannot wait to come back!

    « Great experience »

Wonderful stay at a property in which the entire staff is totally engaged in making sure your stay meets your needs. From the time we checked in the staff was courteous and informative. They helped us with recommendations for dining experiences and how to be part of the crowd or avoid it if that is what we wanted to do.

Great stay at a convenient and renovated hotel. The rooms are large and updated, with Keurig coffee machines, new bathrooms, and flat screen televisions. Lots of pillow choices on comfortable beds. The staff are truly inviting, being friendly and efficient. This hotel is a good choice for solos, families, or anyone looking to stay in the Harbor Springs/Petoskey area. Close to all skiing, lakes, and public water access.

This is a wonderful motel in a prime location for outdoor activities. The staff was super and the rooms were perfect for our needs--super clean and very comfy. The pool area is nice and the breakfast in morning was lite but met our needs. We will definitely be staying here again!

« Great location and value!! »

For the price this is an excellent place to stay for the beauty that the entire area has to offer. The breakfast nook is small but grab what you need and head back to your room. i had to dress up though because it was chilly and you have to walk outside to get to breakfast and the pool. We are planning to stay here again. the ski resorts are close by and this hotel is a lot cheaper than staying there.

    « Clean and affordable »

If skiing in the Petosky area, this is a great location. Hotel is clean and affordable. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was good. Staff was helpful and curteous. They offered a ski discount when we mentioned we'd be skiing the next day. That was an added plus!

« A Gem Among Best Western Hotels »

In its class, this establishment is among the best, if not the best, hotel at which we have stayed. The staff is marvelous, the rooms comfortable, and the amenities are top notch. We stay at this Harbor Springs Best Western, whenever we go skiing at Nubs Nob and Boyne Highlands. Our experience with this hotel spans a number of years, and they have diligently maintained the excellent quality of their property and services. Only regret is that we did not discover them sooner. This hotel lives up to the hype. Just minutes from Nubs Nob or Boyne Highlands, this place keeps the parents and kids happy while keeping prices in check. Breakfast was great, we used the pool and hot tub daily, and location location location!

« The best motel overall for the price in northern MI »

We just stayed at this motel again for one night for our son's annual Nubs Nob ski race and again we are very satisfied. The staff our wonderful. The whole facility is very clean. The amenities for a motel and what we expect are very good - hairdryer, microwave, small fridge, soaps, plenty of towels, etc. My side of one of the double beds was uncomfortable this time...felt like a big dip under my back area. We did not report this as it was only the one night. Also, we had very noisy neighbors on one side late at night while we were going to bed (11:30pm) and after asking them twice to quiet down, we called the front desk and promptly heard their phone ring and they did quiet down somewhat. But we know that not the hotel's fault, it happens! We LOVE LOVE LOVE the service at their included continental breakfast. It's continental so we only expect so much but they have a plentiful supply of beverages, yogurts, waffle maker, fresh fruit, cereals incl. oatmeat, breads/bagels/yummy muffins, etc. They even have egg mcmuffin type sandwiches and breakfast burritos in the fridge you can heat up. We also like their pool/hot tub - it's very warm in there but great if you are swimming! I mentioned it's all very clean at this motel. The staff are all very nice, attentive and efficient. We can't say enough about this motel very near the ski resorts!

« Best place to stay for your Ski Weekend. »

Wow, we just had another great stay at this motel, if you need a place to stay for any reason you need to stay here. I would not think of any other place to stay in Harbor Springs. This location is " top drawer". We have been staying here for the past 4 years during ski weekends with the family. Great fresh clean rooms, excellent breakfast bar, new indoor pool with handicap lifts if you need one for your family stay. Sandy at the front desk is great.

This hotel is family run and really knows how to care for their guests. It is very comfortable with an excellent choice of breakfast foods and a relaxing indoor pool and hot tub. The pool and hot tub will float your cares away and the morning breakfast will get your day started with a smile.

    « Impressed -- Felt Like 5 Stars »

I like nice hotels and this hotel so surprised me. The place was immaculate and totally up to date. Our suite comfortably fit our family of 4 (with 2 late teen/20's children). Complete kitchen, 2 full baths, comfortable sitting area with wood burning stove. They supplied bedding for the pull out sofa without us asking, supplied wood, matches and even kindling. Great breakfast. Small but really nice workout room. 8 minutes from skiing. Really helpful employees, esp front desk man and breakfast woman (she replenished constantly). Perfect stay....has elevated my impression of the Best Western Brand.

This is a great family friendly hotel. We always have a quality experience. The rooms are modern and well-equipped. The owner, Mike Erxleben, and his staff are always friendly, helpful and welcoming. Our whole family comes back every year during ski season.

    « Nice »

Nice roadside motel in resort town area. Clean, comfortable, friendly, etc. No problems really, had noisy neighbors, but they quieted down when asked. Place could use some soundproofing, other than that, no problems. Looks like rooms have been recently updated with granite, carpet, etc. Don't really care for Keurig coffee, but hey it's better than nothing. Would stay again.

    « Harbor Springs - Best! »

Wonderful place to stay! Great Mobile App to make the reservation. Called on the way North - and Sandy was welcoming... and even said I was a few minutes early when I walked in the door. That pretty much says it all...

    « Excellent lodging choice »

The hotel was a great choice for us. It had very clean rooms with comfortable beds. The location is great. It is close to skiing and not far from local restaurants and casino. Room was quiet and all rooms have their own entrance. The people are very friendly and helpful. We had no issues at all during our stay and I would highly recommend this hotel if you are traveling in the area.

    « Very Nice »

Room was extremely clean. Bed was good, pool was nice although a little cold. Internet was fast and reliable. Breakfast was good, kids like the waffle maker. I would recommend the Best Western of Harbor Springs. We stayed for a ski weekend and it was very close to the 2 ski hills in the area.

    « A+ customer service »

My girlfriend and I came in at around 10pm after a night on the slopes at nubs nob that ended with me getting my car stuck in the snow. The staff was nothing but helpful to us. They arranged a ride for me to get back to my car that was stuck in the snow to get my wallet, and even drove us back the next morning AND even helped me out by plowing a path for me to get my car out of the snow in the parking lot of another buisness. The staff was very warm, welcoming, and even seemed concerned about making sure we had safe shelter for the night during the storm. Very professional staff and very tidy and modern rooms. We would definitely consider staying here again. Highly reccommended.

    « A Great Place »

This Best Western in Petoskey MI is a great location, close to Nubs Nob skiing. The place looks like it has been redone. Rooms and common areas are very neat and new. We got a room with a king bed and a Jacuzzi jet tube for $107 a night (AAA rate). This is about the same rate as a very dated property in Harbor Springs were we used to stay. Also, a full continental breakfast. The 3 electric outlets bolted to the top of the night stand is a nice touch for plugging in phone/computer chargers.

« Fine 5 star staff in the North »

Take a lesson from this staff on how to welcome and care for a guest.... even if it's slow! Even if it's really, really busy. This staff gave the whole deal and it was a cold, rainy night late in the evening. They sincerely cared that even though I was only there for one evening that I knew what was available to me as a customer. Detailed information, knowledgeable about the area and disciplined in customer service! 5 star service from a little town in the North. Great Job !!

    « Loved the suite »

Have stayed in this place or two years in early December. Great staff, clean and spacious suite. Furniture in living room is a bit dated but fine. Bed was very comfortable, but typical heaters a bit noisy for a good night's sleep.

From the moment you drive in to the motel it is very inviting with cleanliness and appearance. The front desk clerks are very helpful and make you feel at home. All of the staff are courteous to the guests and do whatever is needed to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. I have never experienced an unfriendly word or look from anyone on the staff. The many breakfast options are great. There is a wonderful variety of items. The pool and hot tub are very relaxing as well.

« Affordable, clean motel in great location »

Highly recommend the Best Western in Harbor Springs. Clean, affordable, with a number of amenities including indoor pool, fitness area, and on-site laundry facilities. One of the best features is the free breakfast, which is described as "continental" but which actually offers much more, including make-your-own waffles, breakfast sandwiches, hard-boiled eggs, fruit, yogurt, and a variety of pastries. One word of caution: motel address doesn't work in your GPS; you end up 5 miles past motel's actual location. You can see motel from M-119 as you enter Harbor Springs.

20 out of 10. Great prices. Very clean. Lady at the front desk called the room after about 10 minutes of being here to make sure we had everything we needed and liked the room. She gave us tips on the surrounding area. Told us about a great restaurant and a few hiking spots.
