Best Western Dinosaur Valley Inn & Suites

Stayed 7 nights here. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful Bed was very comfortable room was clean In room coffee was good. Breakfast was good but didn't change day to day Located on a busy road so traffic could get noisy at times One thing we didn't like was lack noise insulation. We could hear the people in the adjoining room as well as people walking above our room. So if you are a light sleeper u may want to request a better location within the hotel

This was the 3rd Best Western hotel we have stayed at on a short trip for a family funeral. You can tell Sydney, Maria, and Lexi are proud of their hotel. The work environment seemed much happier than the facility in Corsicana. Lexi greeted us and made checking in fast. She gave us a great suggestion for dinner and gave me an extra blanket. Maria keeps the rooms spotless! Sydney greeted us for Sunday breakfast. A polar cold front arrived, and even though the hotel didn't have many visitors due to expected ice/sleet/snow; a full hot breakfast was provided.

It's decked out in a really great western theme. It is next door to the expo center that holds a lot of horse events. Very convenient if you are showing horses or dogs there. The staff is wonderful, close to lots of restaurants from chains to mom and pop places. Great location.

JC and Sheba are great proprietors, very personable and helpful. Our run was clean, quiet, and comfortable. We could not figure out how to use the remote for the AC so JC came to our room and helped us. The hotel is in a great location too.

I don't even know where to start. From the booking of our Group stay to the checkout of our stay EVERYTHING was exceptional. Amanda, Carla, Peyton, Sydney and Sheeba were just a few of the staff that we were in direct contact with. I want to express our gratitude and let everyone know that IF you select this hotel, you will be Blessed and you will be treated very special. Breakfast was outstanding taste as if you made it in your own home. Beds were extremely comfortable. Room was updated and well-kept and cleaned. Lobby was fresh and the hotel all around was very comfortable and spacious. Lots of nearby places to eat shop. Highly recommend this Best Western to anyone.

Front desk staff, especially Jim, is very friendly and hospitable. The hotel is clean and well maintained. The location of the hotel makes it easy to find. It is close to restaurants and gas stations.

Very close to the state park and the amazing town restaurants aren't that far away from the hotel as well. The staff were very nice and helpful and friendly, there was several family's making the same adventures as my family and I were. Would definitely stay here again if ever in the area.

We come to Glen Rose every year for a week to visit my daughter and her husband. We always stay at BW DV. We arrived a day early and Carla and Amanda greeted us with a smile and provided us with accommodations. The staff is very helpful and kind. Carla, Amanda, Jim and Sydney are the best! Maria does an excellent job and greets you with a smile every day.

Highly recommend this hotel. Very friendly and courteous. Loved the outside chairs by the pool. The patio was real nice. They even have a kid pool. Great service!!!!! Will definitely return should we be in the area again..

Don't waste your money staying here. This is not Best Western standards. I paid almost $200 for the one night. The room was just average, but the bathroom exhaust fan did not function--leaving the room smelling musty and wet. We booked for 2 adults and 2 kids, but were only given one towel. I had to trudge downstairs for more. The pool was dirty and full of leaves. The most disappointing was the terrible breakfast! it was actually inedible. Overcooked fried eggs, summer sausage boiled so long that it actually was gritty and dried out, lumpy cold gravy--and this was at the beginning of the breakfast service. We ended up going out to breakfast, which was a waste of money.

Upon my arrival, front desk very helpful and friendly, As a matter of fact, I chose this hotel because of the reception I received upon entering the lobby from the young woman working the front desk. The room was comfortable and clean, breakfast was very good and eggs fresh - staff very quick to replenish food. This hotel was easy to find and in a safe area.

Beautiful place to stay. They had a green area that was nice for kids because the pool was to cold to enjoy this time of year. We were able to use a conference room for our family gathering. That made our trip so much more enjoyable. We were all able to meet from other states and stay there and meet in the conference room to enjoy each others company. Very accomadating staff.

We had about 18 people that met at this hotel for a reunion. The rooms were nothing fancy but well taken care of and very clean. The staff is what makes this place very special. The assistant manager worked with me months in advance and made sure everything was perfect when we arrived. The meeting room was spacious enough to accommodate us with an outdoor to the porch that had rocking chairs to relax. The assistant manager and staff was readily available for the entire stay.

This is the best hotel in this price range that I have seen. The breakfast room had variety with delicious (i.e., scrambled eggs and sausage) and healthy (yogurt, oatmeal, english muffins, peanut butter) options. The exercise room was clean with nice equipment. The room was spacious. I would definitely stay here again!

This is a BEAUTIFUL place nice and cozy. The staff are one of the best. The pet area is clean and very nice. It was quiet and close to anything. I will come back here every time. The breakfast had more than just the normal and then some on Fri thru Sunday.

We stayed at the Dinosaur Valley Best Western for three nights. The stay was ok, nothing spectacular but not bad. The room was average as was the breakfast. The problem was on the day of check out. My wife went to put on her makeup, and she noticed that her foundation was missing. It was a new tube still in the box. My wife is very organized and has everything in its place in her makeup bag. We looked in all the luggage, in the trash and asked our boys if they took it. It was not in the room. My wife went to talk to the hotel clerk and was told the manager would be in after 8 am and could look at the camera. Manager arrived and viewed the camera. We were told that she didn't see any activity outside of our room and that the camera only recorded when it detected movement. Location of camera was never discussed. Next, manager said she would check all the employees' keys to see what rooms were entered. Never discussed how she would check or when. I was also told she would contact the owner. I have been waiting for any kind of response. During this conversation the manager was not apologetic and kept saying that this has never happened before. We were very upset that we were not even given an apology. You don't have to be in the wrong to apologize and sympathize with the customer. I would hope that this would never happen.

We enjoyed staying here with my family. We were attending Fossil Rim and wanted to stay here before our safari tour. The staff here is absolutely the nicest. The breakfast lady was very kind and helpful with getting my Kids settled. We will definitely be back!

Greeted and checked in by friendly guy at front desk. (We did not already have a reservation) Room was very clean, quiet, comfortable. Rates were very reasonable. Small frig and microwave in room. Large tv, Roomy bathroom. Great night's sleep. Tasty, hot breakfast. Easy check out. Located near Mexican restaurant. Hotel grounds clean, lobby clean and welcoming . Would stay again.

Nice quiet and clean room. We were there during a pretty big thunderstorm on the 3rd floor and I barely noticed it. Staff was on top of things, breakfast was hot and on time. They could probably use another elevator, but hey, what are you going to do. Good job stafF!

Great hotel, very clean. Close to most everything to do in Glen Rose. It's about 5 min to downtown and maybe 15 min to the Creation Evidence Museum and about 20 min to the Dinosaur Valley State Park. The pool area was very cute and clean. The noise level in the hotel was moderate mostly heard big trucks and not other neighbors. I would stay here again if in the area.

My sisters and I booked this room for our senior citizen parents, who also attended The Promise. Bethany was SUPER helpful & friendly. The hotel was very close to the event. I appreciate Bethany going above 100%

Front desk staff was very helpful with question we had and friendly with everyone in our party. Clean rooms and a good amount of space for the two queen beds. Breakfast was self serve and had a good amount of options available.

We travel five days a week with work. This was the first time we stayed at this location. The staff was great, location good, nice outdoor pool, and clean rooms. There is an area to the side for oversized vehicles. We would highly recommend this hotel for business or leisure.

2 pools and breakfast what more can you ask for!!!! Convenient, comfortable and peaceful. Breakfast selection was great- gave the kids plenty of options. The waffles were a hit. The pools were perfect after the Dino park visit.

This hotel is a nice location all of the staff is very helpful and polite. the hotel is clean and quiet rooms are nice and not too small. I would recommend staying here to any family or friends. i look forward to staying here again in future.

Place was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They were very informative and explained everything we needed to know in detail. The breakfast was not bad. They had several things to choose from. I enjoyed the hot freshly made waffles. All together it was a good experience.

Checked in with no problem, the Staff was very friendly and the room was great. Very comfortable beds and enough pillows to satisfy my wife. The room had a refrigerator and microwave oven. Breakfast is good especially on the weekends, The facility is very clean and well kept also very close to points of interest in the Glen Rose area. Nice, clean hotel with friendly and helpful staff. They directed us to a good restaurant close by that was open on a Tuesday night. ( It's a small town so many restaurants here are closed on a Monday or Tuesday) Decor of hotel is interesting. We enjoyed looking at all the pictures. Our beds and bedding were very comfortable. Limited selection at breakfast but was still good. They have packs of instant oatmeal and two young girls had to tell us how to measure the water for them. ( it's on the bag Lol!) There's a microwave and fridge in the room which we were glad about. Had a nice one night stay here.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Bed very comfortable. We would be happy to stay there again. Very convenient and close to dinosaur dig site. Continental breakfast bar was enough to get us going in the mornings.

Our hotel room was beautiful, extremely clean and larger than what I expected. The bathroom was spacious as well, and both were completely updated and included all amenities as advertised. The staff member who greeted me upon arrival was extremely helpful, and I would have loved to have stayed longer!

The manager, Aaron, went above and beyond to accommodate our family. We were pleasantly surprised by the engaging and attentive team. Traveling with kids can be challenging but they helped at every step. We were thankful. We had a lovely stay with wonderful hot breakfast.

This is my group's second time staying at this location and we absolutely love our spacious the suites are! The beds are comfy and breakfast not too bad. Aaron, the GM, is AWESOME! He is professional yet personable - full of personality! We will be back :)

Stayed at this hotel one night. The hotel was very clean and the reception and staff were very friendly and helpful. This was the first time I've ever had a hotel volunteer to give us extended check out--without us asking. This is a very customer-friendly place!

First time to the area. Picked this hotel because it was close to where I needed to be. Check in was easy. Got to my room and my neighbor had what sounded like a huge dog that was barking constantly Called the desk and they immediately got me moved to a quieter room and give me a room upgrade. Customer service at this hotel is great. All staff friendly and helpful Hotel is not fancy, bathrooms are a little outdated. But. It's clean and had everything thing I need. If I'm the area again, I would stay here

Property is an older hotel but well maintained. Lobby not updated, but clean. My room was large and clean. Bed was comfortable. A plus for me was the ceiling fan and adequate lighting in the room. Friendly staff. Parking lot well lit, especially if you are walking to/from Expo Center. Only complaint is the bath towels were too small.

Great Hotel. Staff was awesome. Rooms were very clean. Convenient to stores, restaurants, and old down town. Surprisingly quiet room though located near main highway. We were very satisfied. I would highly recommend this hotel when staying in the Glen Rose, Texas area

From booking reservations for a group to easy checkout, this was a delightful experience! They were prepared for check in and offered information about the location of their amenities. The rooms were spacious and CLEAN. Bed was wonderfully comfortable and breakfast had both hot and cold options. The staff was friendly and cheerful. Would definitely stay there again when in Glen Rose.

Everything was in order at this hotel, it looks like a manager is actually managing this property. Pool was cleaned, breakfast was prompt and satisfying, check-in and check-out were easy, towels were available in the bathrooms, staff kindly oriented me to the city's sights. The only minor downside is the hallway carpets could use a shampoo. If you have ever stayed at a hotel where the manager didn't really manage anything at all, you'll appreciate staying at Dinosaur Valley Best Western.

This location has a fun, touristy vibe and gives you plenty to do in the Glen Rose area, all within a 15 minutes drive. The staff are all extremely helpful and friendly. Their restaurant suggestions were right on!

We had such a great stay at this hotel. Every person we came in contact with from check in, to breakfast service to check out was helpful and friendly. In a world where good customer service is becoming more and more rare, this was such a delightful experience! Our only complaint would be the uncomfortable beds. In the world of hotel stays, they weren't the worst, but we definitely could have all had a better night's sleep. But we would easily stay here again because of the excellent staff.

We were coming in late and they were very helpful in finding the best rate and room for us. Going way beyond what they had to do. The breakfast was very good too. We would definitely stay there again.

We were blown away by this hotel. Super clean rooms, I always bring my cleaning supplies to hotels and found nothing to clean here! Every staff member we met was so friendly and helpful. Even the lady cleaning the rooms. Free Breakfast was awesome , our kids loved the Texas shaped waffles! We will definitely stay here for our Glen Rose trips in the future!

The bed was comfy. The room was clean and chilly, The professional staff was courteous and helpful. Sausage, scrambled eggs, hot biscuit with butter and jelly made a great breakfast. Great stay, I recommend it.

I have a 3 year old and the best part besides the awesome staff and the very clean rooms was the fact they had an actual kiddie pool next to the regular pool. Most places don't have that option! The staff on all shifts were very friendly and ready to help with anything. As a single mom we don't get to travel much but if we ever get out to Glen Rose again, I will only stay at this hotel.

Very clean, excellent staff, rates a little high but understand have to pay employees especially during COVID. Breakfast was great (all hot), clean rooms, laundry facilities all working and parking was good!

Went for a day away to spend time with our grown kids and swim and relax. It was a nice place to visit. I just wish the hot tub was going. The hotel was nice the staff was friendly. We had a great time.

The lobby is nice, the pool is nice, but the room was old and muggy, the shower didn't drain, the mattress on the sofa bed was stained and there were no sheets or blankets for it. The breakfast was horrible, if you're looking at hotels with breakfast included, go somewhere else. We wound up having to go out to eat for breakfast.

Breakfast served was terrible. Desk clerk at check-in was quite unfriendly.. TV had a poor picture. Rooms were clean. No place to gather with a group after 9pm. It was a family reunion and we had to visit outside on the porch where there was no decent seating or tables.

Had a great experience in Glen Rose. Stayed at the BWDVIS. Staff was courteous and friendly, the dino aesthetics were awesome, and the room was clean and perfect for our stay. Breakfast was adequate (we're not big breakfast eaters) and bed and bedding was comfy and all was clean. Very happy with our stay and trip! Price per night was good too!

This hotel is very clean and spacious. Our Dune Buggy Club stayed here and there was ample parking and room to gather inside and out. The hotel is kept very clean and the staff extremely friendly. They served hot breakfast in the mornings. I would highly recommend the hotel anytime that you are staying in Glen Rose.

We arrived early after having to drive through torrential rain and just were praying we could get into our room ASAP. Turns out that our room was already ready and available and was very clean! The entire family was very happy with the room, and we enjoyed our stay. Hoping to return next time we visit Fossil Rim.

I've stayed here twice and it's so family friendly and wonderful. The staff is top notch and I've never had any issues. The hotel is very small with what I consider more of a bed and breakfast feel. 10/10 would recommend.

The room was clean. The bathroom was also clean. It had a curved shower curtain rod. The pool was open. And breakfast was easy to get. There were several options. The carpets were clean and didn't feel gross.

Always stay once a year for golf tournament, great people and clean facilities. Been doing this for over 10 years and always enjoy the stay. The front desk is always friendly and and helpful. Look forward to staying next year.

Hotel was clean , but major mix up at check in, no bottled water in room, coffee bad,and package open, lobby refreshments sub par. road noise really bad, no sleep. willl skip this one from now on. staff not very friendly.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. I loved my 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom suite. The woman at the front desk made the experience even more wonderful. The complimentary breakfast was also wonderful. Traveling with 4 kids and 2 dogs is difficult and not having to worry about breakfast in the morning was a huge plus! We would absolutely stay here again.

Price was ridiculously steep but got higher on Saturday so we only spent one night. Lobby was clean. The outside looks a little old but the staff was working on the lawn and cleaning. Our room was super clean. The pool area didn't have the hot tub working and the baby pool was covered in leaves and bugs. The bigger pool was run down but the kids enjoyed it. I sat and put my feet in the water and tried to avoid the leaves. Everything was in direct sun - definitely needs some shade added. Staff was very friendly.

Thoroughly unimpressed. The rooms are very poorly maintained with dated furniture and amenities. The staff was cordial, but definitely did not go above and beyond. This is just kind of a gross old hotel in bad need of a remodel and higher quality customer service.

We arrived a little early and they allowed us to check in. Check-in was quick and the clerk was friendly. We stayed in room 312 with a king bed. The layout of the room is excellent. The bathroom is all in one, meaning the sink is inside the bathroom. Plenty of counter space. The showerhead is excellent and the water pressure is good. The tub drains very slowly. There is an easy chair with an ottoman, desk and chair, and plenty of outlets for charging devices, etc. The bonus in this room is there is a ceiling fan with an attached light kit and separate switches for each of them. The bed was comfortable. I like the refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker in its own little nook in the corner of the room. We stay in hotel rooms extensively during our road trips and typically the microwave, refrigerator area is usually in front of the bed. It is nice for it to be tucked away in a corner that way you're not in each others way. I understand and appreciate that there are hotels still observing some sort of Covid policies and procedures. The breakfast offerings here are much to be desired for me personally. The only warm food offered was sausage, biscuits, and sausage gravy. Potatoes were on the menu but we didn't ask about those. It would've been nice to have scrambled eggs. They were out of milk therefore no cereal unless you eat it dry. The only cereal available was Cocoa Puffs. The front desk said they were waiting on their delivery. They have yogurt that you get at the front desk. They also have muffins and Nutri-Grain bars as well as apples available. I ate half a biscuit and it was utterly disgusting. It tasted as though it had been cooked yesterday and then left out all day. It was dry and even after trying to warm it up in the microwave still didn't make any difference. The entrance to the hotel has a covered carport as well as automatic doors. Carts are available for luggage. The swimming pool is outside and has nice seating area and also a little kiddie pool. There are rocking chairs around the perimeter of the building as the hotel has a covered porch area around three sides of the building If we were to stay in Glen Rose again we would stay at this hotel although I'm hoping that the future offerings for breakfast would be a lot better.

My wife and I stayed here while on a weekend trip to Glen Rose. We were extremely satisfied with our room and the staff was very friendly. We recommend this hotel if you are in the area. Location is close to all local attractions.

We weren't there long, but the room was clean, the a/c worked, and it was quiet (until my bunch arrived!) The water didn't get hot and there were no vending machines, but those are our only complaints! Good location and easy to find.It's only about 5-10 mins from Fossil Rim and Dinosaur World.

Beautiful town, with very friendly people. Best Western is a very nice hotel, with a very helpful and friendly staff, and we will stay there again. Would have given 5 stars to value, but can't because of stupid covid restrictions. No continental breakfast, just, "to go" bags. Also, hot tub is broken, and not is service. Prices should be lowered to reflect the services not provided.

The staff was wonderful. They worked through an over booking problem because of a server crash and found a room for us!!! We were seeking a warm room because of an electricity outage. It was a blessing!!!

I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past couple of years. It has always been clean and the staff have always been very courteous. It is a very nice affordable place to stay. I would highly recommend.

We spent one night here to indulge my husband who doesn't like camping. We really just looked at it as a place to crash between our two days of hiking. Hotel was very pleasant. We stayed in one of the King Suites. The Good: The lighting was wonderful. Most hotel rooms are so dim. This one had a fan with a four light light kit in the sitting area, plus several lamps placed about. Everything appeared clean. The front desk staff was very nice. We were able to get dinner from Los Primos delivered to the hotel. The Minor Problems: Bed could have been more comfortable, mattress felt old. The breakfast bar had been taken away, replaced with "grab and go" breakfasts of mini muffins and an apple. I feel like the price should reflect this. The bathroom could use some updating. Overall, a good experience. Nothing super fancy, but what we needed in a good location.

This was a great pick for a hotel in Glen Rose. It's on the main road, close to a lot of attractions. There is a nice outdoor pool area, with a hot tub (nonoperational when we were there), a shaded kids pool (water pretty cold and also dirty), and a larger adult pool in the sun. Plenty of seating around, and even some kids toys available to borrow and use. There were signs in the room saying that towels were available at the pool, but they were not, so we used our room towels. The lobby is small but sufficient. Breakfast is still closed, so they had stacks of apples, granola bars, and packaged muffins in the morning. Sufficient, but unimpressive. Self-service coffee was available all day near the breakfast room. The room (we had a king room) was spacious - plenty of floor space around the king bed, comfortable AC, nice TV, and nice desk facilities. There is a sitting room with a nice sofa that turns into a pullout queen and a comfortable chair. The bathroom is perfectly sufficient, but really needs an air vent to alleviate shower humidity. We were in room 104 and it took 2-3 minutes of running to get hot water. The whole bathroom was a bit dingy and old (yellowed paint and whatnot) but clean. The bed was firm but acceptable. Pillows were somewhat flat and lumpy but acceptable for a midrange hotel. The room also has a cold mini-fridge with small freezer inset as well as a microwave and a very basic coffeemaker. Slight shortage of electrical/USB outlets. In-room WiFi was fine and not slow, but it tended to disconnect frequently, requiring constant re-logging in. On continuous-use devices, like streaming video, it didn't do it, so it may be a timeout issue. Staff that we interacted with were perfectly considerate and attentive. Parking is ample, though a bit smelly - a large livestock arena is right next to the hotel and there was a constant stream of horse trailers in and out while we were there.

Very clean and comfortable, great service, and simple check in and out process. I took my son to check out Fossil Rim Wildlife Center and Dinosaur World. The woman at the front desk was incredibly kind and helpful. She was also very informative offering suggestions on places to visit and eat while in town.

Rather than do a one-day trip to Fossil Rim from Dallas (2 hrs. each way), we decided to break up the drive with an overnight stay in Glen Rose. I booked the room on the BW site and was happy to find a reasonably priced suite with 2 queen beds and a sofa bed that could accommodate two adults and 3 kids, ages 6, 8 and 10. The front desk staff were courteous and check-in fast. The overall room size was comfortable, but the bed area somewhat cramped. One bed was pushed up against the wall requiring you to climb in from the foot of bed and not the side. This bed was also right on top of the room air conditioner. The beds were small ‘queens' (more like a double) and I had to call for linens for the sofa bed (however they were promptly delivered). For our short stay, the room served the purpose. Due to COVID-19, breakfast consisted of take-away muffins, apples, and granola bars. There was coffee available in the lobby, which by the way has a charming rustic feel complete with an antler chandelier. We didn't have a chance to use the pool, but heard kids playing.

This is by far the best place to stay! The staff and room were great!! I will definitely stay here again. The rooks were very clean and the air was cold!! If your looking for a great nights sleep, then this is the place!!

Very clean hotel, staff was EXCELLENT always helpful and pleasant! Pool area was nice and had a separate shaded kiddie pool. Because of Covid -breakfast was a grab and go, but area it would have been offered in looked very nice.

This by all means was a last mintue stay due to my travel trailer having a major water leak. After searching online at about 4-5 hotels within the area the Best Western seemed liked the best at of all the choices. after going through a third party for the best rate which was about $102.00 a night my wife and i decided to stay for 2 nights. Upon arrival the staff was very nice and check in was super fast. I booked two queen beds but the i can tell you this by all means it not queen beds but fulls. The hotel it self it a bit older and the rooms are as well. The room had the two "Queen" beds a full sized shower and a microsave with mini frig as well as nice flat screen tv with cable. The beds and beeding are older and are not comfrontable. Above the shower I could see what looks like mold starting. The rooms themself all need a remodel. The pool was very nice and was a good place to cool off during the hot days. Due to the current Covid19 situatuion if your staying more than one night you don't get house keeping services and they are only giving like wrapped muffins and fruit for breakfast not your standard brakefast. The location was very safe and quite. Also to add my very last night there at around 12 am after everyone in my party was in bed and mostly asleep staff called the room to say someone below was saying we were stomping but did not come up to the room to investigate first this caused everyone in my room to wake up including my young baby. Given the other choices within the area i would choice another location.

Family of 3 stayed one night here. The room was overall clean & spacious, but our beds were pretty hard & uncomfortable. The pool area was very nice & accommodating. The service was very kind & helpful.

Needed to get a way for a mini vacation over the 4th holiday. Stayed a 2 bedroom queen suite. Room was comfortable and clean. Pool was clean with plenty of towels even at night. Staff is always friendly at this hotel and will go out of their way to make your stay pleasant!

Great location- close to the state park and restaurants. One of the few hotels in the area with an outdoor pool. The grounds were well kept but the pool was a little dirty. The hotel is a little older but was very clean. The best part of this hotel is by far the staff. Very kind, friendly and attentive. Be aware the walls are very thin and you can hear everything in the hall, outside and next door. If you're a light sleeper would recommend ear plugs. Pillows are very fluffy so if you prefer a flatter pillow, bring your own as they do not have any other available at this time. Not currently able to clean the rooms daily and cannot offer breakfast due to Pandemic. That being said, they constantly asked if we needed anything and if we were enjoying our stay.

We had a lot of fun staying here. Shyanne was an amazing host and took care of everything we needed. The rooms were clean and so was the entire hotel. We always had what we needed easily available. The kids really enjoyed their stay and it was nice to have not only a hot tub and pool but kids pool as well.

Very nice hotel that is clean and well cared for. The staff is amazing! Big rooms with comfortable beds. We even got to have our French bulldog stay with us in the 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom suite for $25 (way more reasonable than most hotels).

We spent a few days exploring Glen Rose and the surrounding area. Super convenient (10-15 mins) to Dinosaur Valley State Park, Dinosaur World, Fossil Rim Wildlife Center, and still close to Granbury. We found the Best Western to be great for families. For this type of hotel, we were happy with our accommodations (2-queen suites) and had plenty of space to stretch out. Having connecting rooms was very helpful as well when traveling with children and grandparents. The pool was a little chillier than expected, but the kids were still able to enjoy it. The spa was super hot. Perhaps worth cooling a few degrees during the day for the little ones (and then increasing the heat at night when adults are more prone to use). The breakfast was on par with what one would expect for this type of hotel. It was "good enough" and all of the children were happy. It would be great if they had softer and flatter pillows as an option. The beds all had tall, firm pillows, which made sleeping a little less comfortable than we're used to. Beds were OK, enough support, but definitely not as nice as home, which is fine. It was just for a couple of nights. Overall, we were happy with the value that BW provided and would recommend it to other families wanting to check out local sites.

Everything as as shown on the website. The only issue was that the day of the tournament, February 21, thhe website indicated that there were no rooms available. However, when I called the facility directly, they said they had the three rooms that we needed.

All around a good place to stay. The atmosphere was nice. It was an extremely quiet hotel. No noise what so ever. Front desk women were right on target and willing to may my stay comfortable. When in glen rose i will always stay here.

The staff at this hotel made this one of the best hotel stay experiences I have had. I dealt with Holland and Cheyenne and they both are professional in every way. I highly recommend this hotel. We had a group of 30 rooms booked for 3 nights and had last minute changes. Holland and Cheyenne went above and beyond to work with us and made this hotel experience great.

Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and efficient. The complimentary breakfast had every kind of breakfast food and the breakfast area was clean and neat. We will definitely stay at Best Western in the future.

Excellent customer service, nice king size room's, and BED's. Two swimming pool's and Spa for Adults. With a adolescent pool. Seating all the way around the hotel, for viewing the beautiful night sky, the pool area, and next to the convention center as well.

The front desk person - was very helpful and understood my concerns- made the diffrence in the stay. She knew I had a problem with the first room- and went to great lengths in taking care of me. Highly recomend staying there. We had a horse show that weekend

After making our reservation over a month ago for January 2, 2020 and receiving a confirmation # the motel called today to say “sorry we made a mistake and are over booked you will have to stay at the Comfort Inn”. We booked at the Best Western because of its location by the Event Center next door. Very unhappy and may cancel our dog show all together. Will definitely not use Best Western again. Will be filing a complaint with Best Western home office.

A wonderful hotel, next to the convention center where we watched the horse competition, close to the dinosaur state park and Fossil Rim Wildlife Center. We went to all three locations and had a great time. Our grandkids ages 2, 7, and 9 all loved it!

From check in to check out we were treated great! Friendly staff, coffee/hot chocolate area 24/7, fresh breakfast food, very clean rooms! Best Western is our go to hotel! I recommend this place and all Best Western Brands any place, any where.

Stay was ok but the beds are hard. The person in charge of the kitchen for breakfast needs to keep better control of filling the ingredients items where low not enough for everyone coming in to have food and then wait for it

First, the staff at this hotel were so nice and welcoming. Literally every person we came in contact with there was nice and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast had a lot of choices and great waffles.. but most of all, the outdoor pool was fantastic! There are actually 3. A hot tub, a shallow toddler like pool, and a big pool. They had tables and chairs, lounge chairs, even rocking chairs! This place even had pool toys. Everything was clean, and there were always towels.

First of all, the staff was wonderful and the room was clean and staff went out of their way to try and accommodate us. Unfortunately, for someone full time in a wheelchair this hotel doesn't have the best accommodations. The room with a roll-in shower is only equipped with a portable shower chair which is difficult to transfer onto for someone who can't stand or walk. The only other room offered had a bathtub with again the portable shower chair, but no handheld shower only a fixed overhead. Neither room had lowered vanity. They did have a hoist so that a mobility impaired individual could use their pool and the staff did everything they could to accommodate, but beware that it is an older hotel and only semi accessible for someone in a wheelchair.

The Hotel: First off, I booked through the BW app. The room I was given did not match what I thought I had chosen on the app. So double check before booking you have the RIGHT room. We ended up staying on a weekend when a convention or something was going on so there was no other rooms available. Second, on the app under Special Instructions I asked that extra bedding be placed in our room since my eldest was taking the couch. I had to call down for said bedding because I didn't find it. I also asked on the app for food delivery information to be left in our room. Apparently no restaurants in Glen Rose have take out menus or flyers since none were found. The hotel decor was pretty cool. I really dig the antler chandelier and the wall art. I glanced in at the exercise room. It wasn't very big but had pretty good equipment to use. The elevator is really small. Two of us and the baggage cart was all that would fit in it. If you are at all claustrophobic, do NOT take the elevator. Instead, take the stairs located by the pool exit. I ended up having to use the laundry room dryer. Rip off. It took TWO cycles to get one sports bra dry. Not joking. I had one item to dry. I'm thankful I didn't actually have a load. The pool area is probably the best part of the entire hotel. The hot tub was really nice to relax into. The pool itself wasn't big or deep, but the kids liked it. They even have a really cool kiddy pool that has a waterfall wall for the toddlers. Leaving the pool area requires your card; we had a problem getting the reader to READ the card at first but eventually it decided to work. Breakfast was a disaster. Their dining area is maybe five tables and one bar with some stools. The morning we were there, the room was jam packed, and some people had no seats. The food also was okay. The best thing was the Texas waffle maker or the four-mini waffle maker, which there was only one of each. Remember how packed the room was? Everyone apparently wanted waffles that morning too. The Suite: Our initial cards would not work the door so we had to get new ones. The second set worked fine for the rest of the stay. The AC unit next to the bed in the main room was DIRTY. Like, haven't seen a cleaning in ages. I cleaned that one myself since I figured, what with all the chaos going around, it would be much faster than asking for someone to do it. The unit in the second room was clean. The rest of the room was fine, and the bed itself was comfortable enough. Pretty much the standard room you expect at any hotel. The Staff: Can't say much about the staff except they did their jobs like they felt they should. No one gave me a bad attitude. Recommendation? Nope. Would I come back? Bigger NOPE. And now, I'm leery of booking at any other Best Western.

I was working 26 miles away. I called made a reservation and was in a room with in an hour. The lady at the was great. The room an outdoor sitting area. It was great. The price was reasonable. The only thing was the breakfast had no fruit or yogurt. I will definitely will go back there anytime I can.

This Hotel has always been a wonderful place to stay. Of all the lodging choices in Glen Rose...we prefer here over all others. The breakfast serves real eggs...not the powdered microwave fare usually provided in these type of accommodations.

I like the way this hotel reflects that area of Texas and the hill country, especially the town's location near actual dinosaur tracks and other historical references. It's rustic in appearance, yet has all the comforts you'd expect from a BW. And there are ceiling fans in the bedrooms!

The hotel and property has been kept up very nicely. I did see a few things on the property that were needing immediate attention. First off, the bugs. My wife and kids are deathly afraid of crickets and cockroaches. I had to kill a few of both in our room. The other area was the fence by the pool. I noticed it was very rusty and looked like it could fall over at any time. I thought that it was a state law that the fencing had to be secure around a pool so little ones wouldn't walk in and fall in ... Hmmm anyways. The breakfast needs some updating too. I have had much better breakfasts at hotels in town. The offerings were pretty simple and not that desirable. On the plus side, the staff there was TOP NOTCH and immediately attended to every need that we had.

Beautiful hotel! Excellent service and is great for the kids! Dinosaur theme makes it interesting and also wood decor. Located at Glenn rose texas is near the Rock Park and also the Creation Museum. Very recommended

My friend and I spent a much needed mini getaway at BW last weekend. We were having issues with our door lock not working, so we couldn't get into our room. After having our card re-keyed a few times the lovely evening front desk clerk (Katie?) graciously moved us to an upgraded room and even helped us move our things. We we very impressed with the customer service of the both the day and evening Friday staff. The housekeeping staff were also pleasant and helpful! The room was very comfortable. Breakfast was good. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. We are thinking about going to see The Promise, which is always an excellent production, and spending the night here again!

We booked 2 rooms for the volleyball tourney during the week-end. Both rooms/bathrooms were clean. One of the rooms was a 2 bedroom suite. I was very pleased that it had a separate bathroom for it. The suite is wonderful for a family with children, or 2 couples. The mattresses were comfortable. The rooms were cool upon arrival....that was much appreciated when it is over 100 degrees outside. The breakfast was just okay. The usual was served: eggs, sausage, biscuit, pancakes and juice. I would stay here again.

Very clean hotel, pools were nice and refreshing. Breakfast was ok, could have different selections. Great location for dinosaur amenties. Another must visit while in glenrose is the quick 20 min drive to Granbury Square. Great shops and great restaurants as well.

Wonderful place to stay! I can't say enough great things about this place. Just a few of the wonderful details about this Best Western: very attentive, kind staff, perfect pool setup (including many fun pool toys), beautiful porch with rocking chairs, and a great spread of breakfast choices. I highly recommend this hotel and plan to return! Also, there is a delicious pizza place just down the road that will deliver. Thank you Best Western Dinosaur Valley!

The staff were very friendly and seemed to enjoy their jobs and were very helpful if you needed anything (extra coffee) or had any questions. The hotel itself was very nice, our room was in very good shape for the age of the hotel. The only issue we really had were the pillows weren't very comfortable. The breakfast is very limited and the same everyday which would have been nice for a change for our 5 day stay. Would stay here again when we come back to visit our son in Stephenville.

They definitely need to upgrade the mattresses. I'm not saying get a Stearns and Foster, but something where you can feel the springs or every movement and breath your partner takes. Pool area was the fair. Could have used sweep through.

From the initial phone call to schedule our stay at the Inn, we were treated like VIP's. Our room was ready and nicely cooled. The temperature that day was 106! The room was immaculate, the linens nice and thick and the bed very comfortable. I am glad we will be going back!

We waited over 35 minutes for breakfast items to be prepared and the breakfast staff seemed completely overwhelmed. The ASM was apologetic, but unfortunately, apologies do not feed hungry children. Breakfast delays caused what was a great stay to become just OK.

We made a special 2 night stop here while in Texas visiting family. The hotel was overall very impressive for such a small town. The entryway and lobby are beautiful. They have a very nice pool and hot tub outside as well as a small kiddie pool. The pool was a bit cloudy and the deck needed some cleaning while we were there. It would have been nice to have an ice machine on each floor also. We stayed in a 2 room suite and it it well worth the small upgrade fee. I was surprised no kitchen items are provided such as paper towels or soap in the wet bar area. We loved visiting the area and would definitely stay here again. Be sure to check out the murals along the 2nd floor and rock on the giant wooden chairs on the porch before you leave!

I grew up in Glen Rose but no longer live there. I go back between 2-5 times per year to visit friends and familiar sites, and when I do, BW Dinosaur Vally Inn is one of my two favorite go-to places to stay. And it my sister's FAVORITE place. She is with me on about half the trips I make there, so we book our favorite suite and have a great time in the pool and all around the hotel and at breakfast (IF we get up in time, that is.) Smile. I feel at home in this place. The staff, from the top down, are fabulous! It is pet friendly, has suites with a porch and rocking chairs and even back doors that lead to a courtyard with a koi pond. A kiddy pool, a regular pool that is large and clean, and a hot tub. Free popcorn all day long. Just a dash in the car from Oakdale Park, Big Rocks, the Riverwalk, and the downtown shops, and only about 6 miles from Dinosaur Valley State Park and Dinoworld. The place is very clean but is also very pet-friendly so don't expect the Ritz. Actually, it is better than the Ritz--it is homey, quiet, not stuffy, and is but comfortable and clean. I want to also add that it is usually full on week-ends and during special events because it is literally next door to the Somervell County Expo Center (but not noisy) and it is just a drive up a hill to the Texas Amphitheatre, and The Promise of Glen Rose Passion Play. You will love staying here but make your reservations early for holidays, week-ends, and special occasions.

I spoke to the owner directly. The hotel seemed to be low staff making it difficult to access things such as the children activities they provide. The area outside especially in the back needs a major clean overhaul. This is a very distinctive hotel is Glen Rose with great potential since the Dinosaur World is down the road. Most of the occupants there while we were there are grandparents with grandchildren. This hotel has its own charm and appeal and its a Best Western. I would definitely during peak season embody the Best Western charm and service. Upgrade the breakfast menu, remember grandparents and grandchildren, increase variety and more fresh foods, provide mid day fruit, evening fresh baked cookies, other Best Western provide these amenities as standard year round but I understand you are in a small town. So focus on peak season, who is booking during that time, how many are booking and be ready! I'll stay here again.

Clean and comfortable place to stay. The Lobby and entrance were excepional. THe full breakfast was delicious. COnsisted of eggs, sausage, buiscits, gravy, toast, waffles, coffee and juices & milk. Check in and check out was a breeze.

I recently stayed at this location visiting family. The hotel is nice and I suggest checking out the fossils they have on display. Our stay was great, though bumpy at first. A call from owner JC Stone was above and beyond what I would have expected. They care about their guest to the fullest. Would recommend this location and will be a return guest.

We stay at this hotel every year, while attending a family reunion. The hotel is great. The staff is wonderful and very friendly. Some of the fixtures in the bathroom are starting to show their age, but it really isn't too bad.

If you need to get away for a few days, this is the best place to stay. The staff was friendly and professional. Our room was very clean and ready to be used. Breakfast was always hot/cold depending on what you preferred. Great location, easy access to the highway and sites.

Our stay was nice. The hotel does show some wear but overall clean and friendly staff. The only suggestion I had was the little pond area where the fish were needed to be cleaned up and the water flowing as to not attract mosquitoes.

Motel is fine. showing its age a little. Breakfast area is obviously from before they started offering hot breakfasts. If the motel is full the breakfast area can be standing room only.. My bed had a sag in the middle. Biggest reasons to stay here are price, location, and the staff. Staff was awesome. went out of their way to fix our only issue, which was booking.com's fault. (didn't book an accessible room, but the staff fixed us up)

Stay at this specific Best Western every year in June. Great place, customer service is better than any other hotel I've stayed, rooms always clean, perfect location to see the fossil sights and tour the area. Love this place and it's people.

Best Western Dinosaur Valley Inn & Suites was a wonderful place to stay. The hotel is very nice and clean. We liked having a refrigerator and microwave. The staff were very warm and friendly. The breakfast was great. Having scrambled eggs and make your own waffles topped it off. I assumed they had cleaned the TV remote because it was wrapped in a clean cover. This hotel had everything we needed and more. We would definitely go back there if were in that area again.

My wife and I visit Glen Rose at least 4 times a year and this trip we chose to stay at the BW Dinosaur because it had a two bedroom, two bath suite. My adult daughter was traveling with us and this room type was perfect. Both rooms were very nice with plenty of room in both. The bathrooms were clean and had all the amenities if you happened to forget something. The only negative about this room is that the stairwell was just outside (we were on the third floor) and that door closed very loudly (banged) every time someone went through it. Maybe they can find a way to adjust the closer to slow down the door and soften the noise. The free breakfast included scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage patties, waffles, cereal, yogurt, etc. All were fresh and tasty. We were a bit confused though on Monday morning (we arrived on Thursday night for a four night stay) when the scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, and sausage patties were missing from the breakfast choices. Apparently management decided to not include these on weekdays. This was a disappointment as we had no idea and were looking forward to another tasty hot breakfast. Other Glen Rose hotels we have stayed in have a somewhat similar policy, no hot items sitting out during the week, however they also offer to cook up some eggs and bacon/sausage for you. It would be nice if the BW offered this. Staff was very friendly, responsive, and courteous. All in all a very nice property

The hotel was clean, staff was friendly and the pool area was beautiful. The only thing I can complain about was they were too booked or I went during Spring Break which made it very busy. Either way, I would definitely stay again.

Lovely, family friendly hotel. Comfortable, clean, large suites for a family. Staff friendly and helpful. Beautiful pools, but wrong time of the year to enjoy. Breakfast had REAL eggs, a plus for me. Would definitely stay here if we return to Glen Rose.

We went for spring break. The staff want out of there way to make the trip special. Our son was made an honorary Dinosaur hunter. They had coloring sheets and crayons out for the kids in the lobby. The staff were extra helpful at breakfast getting juice for the kids. We loved it! Also very clean and overall friendly staff.

We really enjoyed stay. Very friendly and helpful staff. We arrived early but staff accommodated us and let us check in early. Comfortable room. Hotel is very centrally located and close to all attractions. Completely satisfied with stay.

The suite we stayed was very accommodating, we had three adults and three kids and everyone was comfortable. We had a 2bed/2bath with and a pull out bed. Great customer service and breakfast in the morning!

These folks will take very good care of you during your stay. We rented a car from Dallas/Fort Worth airport. It was about 1 hours drive to and from airport. Breakfast was easy and good. Any questions you may have the staff was so friendly and helpful, always smiling. Highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed for 2 nights during a horse show held at the expo center. The location is perfect as you are able to walk to the venue. We had a 2 bed/2bath suite for our large family and couldn't have been more comfortable with the accommodations. Looked as if the property was in the process of upgrading room items and the room overall seemed fresh since our stay 2 years ago. Front desk staff and housecleaning went above and beyond. Kim especially was super helpful when needing to change our reservation as well as with helping guest during the breakfast hours. Would definitely return!

The hotel staff was sooooo accommodating!!! When they found out my 93 year old father was handicapped, they changed our room so he would not have to walk very far. The rooms were so spacious! Great Breakfast!

I would highly recommend this hotel when staying in Glen Rose. It is located next to the convention center but that was not an issue.

The staff at the Glen Rose Best Western went over and above to accommodate our needs. When they found out my 93 year old father had difficulty walking, they quickly switched us to a handicap room that was much more convenient to get to. The room was great! We were able to play cards in the little sitting area. Very pleasant stay!!!!!

This hotel was very clean, roomy and very close to The Promise. We couldn't believe the size of the room and the price was very affordable. The staff was friendly and the complimentary breakfast outstanding! We will definitely stay here on our next trip!

We had stayed at roughly 12 hotels previously along our road trip from New England down to Texas and this hotel stood out among them all. From the moment we arrived we were impressed. The front desk was amazingly helpful, providing all the information we needed and the room when we got in was well cleaned. We had rented a suite which included two King beds and it did not disappoint. Then in the morning, we were impressed by the breakfast offered. Cereal, sausage, biscuits, gravy and even Texas shaped waffles! The woman working the whole shebang was amazing! Super friendly and super welcoming. She was happy to hold our baby while we ate and indulged us in interesting information about the area. She gave us a packet of information about the area dinosaur tracks. She was clearly dedicated to her job and loved her town, she was an absolute joy to interact with. She even made sure the jets in the hot tub were on since the weather was a bit chilly for the pool which our kids highly enjoyed! The hotel was the best we have ever encountered and will stay here again when we're back in the area.

I stayed her last week and the elevator was out due to a power outage, I made a comment to the front desk on my way out and within an hour the owner of the hotel called me. He just called to apologize, nothing more. I have stayed at a lot of Best Western Hotels over the last 6 months, I have had a very issues here and there but not one of those other owners ever picked up the phone to call and apologize. I am a business owner myself, to me the speaks volume. Thank you for amazing experience. Another added bonus is the outside sitting areas, there are wood benches, rocking chairs so peaceful, and the pool area is just to die for. When I am in the area for work in the future this is where I will stay, even if is is a little out of my way for work.

This was a great place to stay, since we were there for the Peruvian Paso horse show - it's right across the street from the showgrounds. Excellent breakfast, friendly, helpful staff and a wonderful stay, in spite of the rain all weekend. Highly recommend~!

Every staff member I met went well beyond professional courtesy to genuine kindness. It was clear that they all not only took pride in their work, they enjoyed it and loved the charming town of Glen Rose. I received a call before I even got there to inform me the elevator wasn't working and an apology for the inconvenience. The manager offered my kids goody bags, and they were perfectly happy to have us invite friends over to play in the pool. The location was perfect --right next to the arena where our horse show was held. I've stayed in other Glen Rose hotels; this one is the best!

The room was large and everything was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location is close to everything. The shower was nice. The price was really good and they even had our room ready early for us.

I grew up in GR and have a lot of reasons to return 2 or 3 times a year. I almost always stay at Best Western Dinosaur Valley. JC (the owner) and his wife, and all of the staff are wonderfully accommodating and happy and pleasant. It is always a good time. No one bugs me and I can sleep to my heart's content. Yep, I usually miss breakfast, but I suppose I need sleep more. So . . . I just sleep in, go for a swim, pack up, check out and go for lunch someplace. Of course, I usually stay more than just one night so it is like a home away from home for me.Betty

Very nice people and easy check in and out. Perfect location for my needs. Pool was clean and rooms nice. Only reason I gave the sleep quality a lower rating is I'm use to a bigger bed I believe but otherwise a very nice stay.

Outstanding! I hosted a family reunion there the last weekend of July. JC was most helpful in making the arrangements. We rented their meeting room which I now call the “Hospitality Room” because that's what this hotel is all about! Every detail was met starting with our check in with Jordan. She let me know she would be working all weekend and she was there to meet our needs. The hotels decor and was pure Texan and our rooms were spacious and clean. A dip in the pool cooled the guests off in the 105' heat! Even though I thought our rooms were nice it was obvious that they were in the process of doing some remodeling to make them as good as new. Breakfast was good too. I would definitely recommend this hotel to a friend if they are going to Dinosaur Valley in Glen Rose Texas!

We had a great experience at this hotel. We had a family reunion and had about 40 guests show. The booking experience was smooth and easy. Their breakfast was great. The owners were very hospitable. The rooms were spacious and clean. I would recommend anyone traveling through Glen Rose to stay at this hotel. They also have some great history and murals painted on the wall.

Wanting to be up and early at Fossil Rim we decided to stay overnight as we live in the DFW area. Room was clean, air conditioner was a constant noise no way to turn the fan down, but it kept us cool as it was 102 outside. Right behind the dumpsters so we had an early wake up call. Needed to be up early, but not quite that early. Haha. The lady who was about during the breaky was delightful as to were the check in ladies when we arrived. Overall and average stay.

Arrived room thermostat showed 89, had requested not by ice machine , guess what right next to elevator with dirty sheets. Gave us the wrong check in sheet at the reception area. When we called about hair and crumbs the front desk brought new sheets and ask if we could put them on ourself? Never again!

This hotel is in good condition and has been upgrading over the past 2 years. Staff is very helpful and friendly; rooms are spacious and clean. During my stay carpet and furniture were being replaced (although old furniture looked fairly good). Breakfast was a cut above what I usually encounter at a moderately priced hotel. The location is good--near Dinosaur Valley State Park and the Wildlife preserve. It satisfies needs for families with children as well as those without children.

Best Western in Glen Rose is a very comfortable and convenient hotel for a family dinasaur adventure at the area parks. Our grandsons enjoyed swimming in the outdoor pools, and we enjoyed the hot tub. We even had pizza picnics by the pool. Our suite easily accommodated a family of 6, with space to play. Every staff member was genuinely friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Glen Rose!

I stayed here with my husband and 2 kids for 2 nights in the 2 king suite. The room was perfect for our family. My only complaint was that my mattress was not very comfortable, but everyone else slept fine. The pools and hot tub were great. The first day we used the pool had quite a bit of debris in it. Not sure if the filter was clogged or what, but the 2nd day we used the pool it was clean. Breakfast was good. The location was perfect for visiting dinosaur valley state park and fossil rim.

Located in the middle of Glen Rose, the Best Western is close to food and retail outlets. Expect a bit of a drive to Fossil Rim or Dinosaur Valley. The hotel is attractive, the lobby inspires joy, the pool and spa area is lovely. However, the whole location is a bit dated. On our stay we did face burnt out light bulbs, small tears in the wallpaper, a missing dust ruffle, chipped pool tiles, and worn fabrics on the sofa and chairs. Nothing too horrible, but enough to be a minor bother. Our rooms were clean and the bedding was in great condition. Rooms weren't musty as other reviews had reported. We never saw any bugs indoors. Hallways were clean. Despite a stream of kids swimming the lobby and elevator were almost always dry.

This was by far the best stay I've ever had in a hotel. The staff was extremely friendly but not a forced feel. It was like everyone was family. They interacted with the guests and my family on a more personal basis and loved the kids. The stay went above and beyond my expectations on everything. Parking was fine and easy to get in and out of. Pool was nice and they had a large kiddy pool and even a hot tub. Shaded seating outside to relax in. Rooms were spacious and clean. No fixes in any of the rooms my family used were needed. The digital cable went out in the building on the second day and immediately the staff responded and got things working again as soon as they could. House keeping was very pleasant, always had clean towels and beds were made nice and proper. The only thing i noticed that was different was the bathrooms do not have vents so the room can get very humid if you take long showers. If i could give this location more stars i would. Never been blown away like this. My next stay at an omni hotel or holiday inn will have some work to do to keep up.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon, and it was very nice! John at the front office was very friendly and helpful. Any time we needed an extra of anything he was there within minutes. We will definitely recommend anyone to stay here if they are looking for a staycation or for vacation in general.

We've stayed at a lot of Best Westerns and this is a very nice one. Room was great and so was breakfast. Front desk people as well as breakfast service people were extra nice and accommodating. Highly recommend it.

Staying at Best Western Dinosaur Valley overall was a great experience. We had a King with Queen suite (ie. two separate bedrooms) for the price of what I usually pay for one hotel room. The kids had their own room and shower, which was awesome. In fact, I would say this is probably the biggest suite I've ever stayed in with them The hotel's decor was fun and had a lots of fossils and interesting dinosaur paintings displayed throughout that my children enjoyed exploring and looking at. The front lobby staff was extremely helpful and polite and even offered fresh popcorn for my children when we checked in. They had a pool, kiddie pool, and a hot tub outside and the hotel is surrounded by a large porch with rocking chairs and a peaceful koi pond, which was a perfect place to sit and read a book. The breakfast was also good, including fresh eggs and sausage patties every morning. My one and only complaint was that the mattresses on both beds were a little hard and lumpy and could probably use a pillow top mattress cover.

The Best Western is a clean and comfortable hotel in Glen Rose. Friendly staff. Stayed there several years ago and it has been well taken care of. Close to downtown and Squaw Valley Golf Course, a 36-hole public course.

This was our first time staying at this Best Western, even though we had passed by it several times on our way to Fossil Rim. We decided to stay the night on this trip because we had some other things we wanted to do in nearby Ft. Worth. I'm very glad that we did. The hotel staff were all very helpful and friendly, especially in the morning for breakfast and check out! The interior of the hotel was decorated very nicely and with a unique touch. One of the first things we noticed was the antler chandelier in the lobby and when we went up to the second floor the railing that curved around to a sitting area was nice. There were pictures of dinosaurs lining the wall, as well as bones and fossils placed around the hotel. Fitting perfectly the small towns theme on Dinosaur activities. My kids liked that there was a popcorn machine down in the lobby, although it was pretty much empty at our 5pm check in. The elevator was a little small but we all squeezed in with our stuff just fine. When we got up to our room our key cards that we just got didn't work so my husband had to go back down and get them reprogrammed. On the key reader on the door a big piece of plastic was chipped off and there was a gentleman at the front desk while I was checking in who handed the front desk woman a piece of plastic that had fallen off of his door, so I thought that was a weird coincidence. Once inside our room and settled my kids were very excited because they had their own room! We booked the King-Queen Suite through my employee discount (I am a front desk clerk at a BW hotel in Wichita Falls, TX) and I was very pleased with this particular room. Even though we were only staying one night, we wanted the space and comfort that this room provided. The room was clean, the beds were comfy, the air worked great and the water was nice and hot. The second bathroom shower was wonderful! It was a walk in shower and had a place to sit and was extremely spacious. Everybody wanted to use that shower and we only used the other bathroom for the toilet and sink. The kids slept in the Queen bed and were happy because they had their own TV to watch. Me and my husband had the King bed and were glad that there was a door to the kids room we could shut for some privacy. It was nice. The only bad things about the room that were noticable to me was a small stain on the carpet in the Queen room, and the fact that the sink in the King room had a leak up by the faucet where you turn on the water. We came to Texas for a wedding, and chose this Best Western because of it's availability of two bedrooms. We have two sons and wanted a bedroom for my wife and myself, and a room for my older son. My younger son got the pull out couch. We were a bit disappointed at the fact that there was one real bedroom and then a big room with the other bed and the couch. Not that it was a real big deal, just that it was advertised as two bedrooms. Good -comfortable beds -clean rooms and helpful staff -close to everything in town -big bathroom with plenty of space Not so good -overpriced ( in only my opinion) drinks offered at the front desk. (One can of pop =1.50) -swimming pool was ice cold. We couldn't even swim in it because it was so cold. -door from pool back into hotel didn't work, had to jump a fence and go around to front door. -floor was not vacuumed daily. Overall -great service and clean, comfortable rooms. (Except for vacuuming) -great location -door issues and a really cold pool.

My granddaughter 's wedding party stay with the folks at Best Western Dinosaur Valley Inn & Suites, what a wonderful property! The rooms were great ,very roomy and clean. BUT.... what made this property special was the staff, they were ALL so very nice and accommodating! Brandon greeted us, checked us in and made sure if there was anything we needed or anything he could help with to please let me know (he meant it)! Dawn was just as accommodating, make sure there was nothing we needed! Holly, who was a trainee was just as nice & helpful! JC, the owner was awesome! This property is ALL about customer service which is a rare find these days!

The murals and fossils in the lobby and halls really give a themed local feel to the hotel. The staff could not have been friendlier. The breakfast was nice. The double queen rooms were a nice size, and ours had trees outside of the windows, which felt very homey. The beds were cozy. The shower was a bit weak. The worn-out luggage carts need to be replaced.

This was our second visit to this hotel and it's still just as nice as the first time. Everything is very clean. There was an extra blanket and pillow in the room which I appreciated. Meghan was very friendly when we checked in and even moved her car for us later so we could get a parking spot. (The hotel was at capacity!) Brandon was also very friendly when we checked out. Breakfast was ready early, hot, and the serving area was kept clean. Was it the best breakfast I ever had? No, but it was free so I'm not going to complain. We'll be back!

Our room was exactly what we requested and it was perfect for our needs. The breakfast variety was good and they made sure there was always plenty during the breakfast hour. Holland and Brandon were fantastic! They made check-in and check-out super easy and really quick. Highly recommend this hotel. We'll be back for sure!

This was a wonderful hotel! It was well decorated, the rooms were very nice, the breakfast was delicious and everyone was super nice! I totally recommend it. It even had popcorn for a snack in the afternoon. =)

I followed the advice of trusty tripadvisor and booked this hotel based on the great ratings and it did not disappoint one bit. Room: clean and spacious. (Mine was one of the front porch rooms and came with fridge, microwave, and coffee- always nice.) Staff: very sweet and welcoming by recommending restaurants and asking about my stay. Breakfast: 10/10, free, and hearty; best continental breakfast I've ever had! I would totally stay here again

This was the best hotel experience I've had ever. Brandon, the gentleman that checked us in and that we interacted with most of our stay, made sure our visit was an excellent one. Always asked if we were doing well and always made sure that we knew what the hotel had to offer us during our trip. The room was well priced and the hotel is located less than 15 minutes from all Glen Rose attractions. A hot, delicious breakfast every morning was a huge blessing! Big breakfast selection that included fresh fruits. Also, there is a coin operated laundry room in the hotel which is helpful because of all the outdoor and river activities that we participated in during our stay.

Second time to stay here. Several improvements from two years ago. Breakfast surprisingly good compared last time. Brandon at the front desk was awesome. Very helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend this facility.

I love this hotel! When we go to events in glen rose, TX, this is where I stay! The pet deposit is a little steep but the room rate is good! The tv was small and I miss having a coffee pot in the room but the shower was super nice and hot! We had plenty of room to walk around and the WiFi worked pretty good!

This property may not be perfect for all, but for those attending the Nolan River Dog Show in January every year, it is perfect. Across the street from the show site, with an accommodating staff - it is the best way to start the year! Lobby is large and spacious; breakfast provided early and has good variety. Staff always willing to help. Thank YOU...for being a dog friendly facility!

I really enjoyed my stay at this Best Western! I was sad I was only able to stay one night! I had planned to stay from Thursday through Sunday, but plans changed so — anyway, back to the review. I checked in Saturday evening and was greeted by Meghan, who was great throughout my whole transaction. I got popcorn from the freshly popped in the he machine, and went to bed early. I slept wonderfully! Just a great overall time! I may have to come back for a respite for a few days, when there's no events across the street. Breakfast- great surprise! The first thing I saw was a freshly baked waffle, and I was afraid that was all. But the attendant came in bringing biscuits, and I saw they had a great assortment of hot and cold breakfast choices. Delicious! I checked out with the ever so gracious Brandon. Very nice and accommodating people on staff. Everyone who I encountered were nice. Thank you for a great time!

It was a pretty good experience the staff was good except for one lady that worked I'm assuming over night she didn't seem to want to be there. Beds were nice and comfy, but other then her great hotel!!

This hotel was a surprisingly good quality for a small town, the air conditioning unit was on the little older side, but did not deter from the stay. The front desk staff was also very helpful and even referred to local restaurants that were extremely good as well. Very close to Dinosaur Valley State Park's road if you are planning to visit the state park.

Very clean and caring staff as well as all of the hotel only issue we had was to room didn't heat up as expected. Finally got to 70 on our second night. Very well stocked and comfortable sleeping. Nice outside access to non smoking room.

The Best Western Dinosaur Valley Inn is a good choice for your stay while touring Glen Rose and its many attractions. Decor is Western with eye-catching knotty-pine accents. The lobby is tall, open, and attractive. The grounds are clean and well-kept and there is plenty of lighted parking with an entrance just off Hwy 67 [called Big Bend Trail in town]. The pool area next to the hotel is large and looks very inviting. Nice large clean rooms. They are in the process of updating and redecorating the rooms, but we really didn't notice noise or mess. During our stay on a Friday night, the hotel was very quiet. My only complaint is the bed in our room - it was not unlike a trampoline. If one person moved in the night, the other bounced. I'm hoping the updating includes new mattresses. Wonderful friendly staff, top to bottom. A nice place to stay with reasonable prices.

This is a GREAT hotel and with the new ownership the staff is SUPERB! I highly recommend this hotel if you are in Glen Rose. I have stayed here each year since it's opening (so like for 15 years) during our annual event Nov/Dec at the Expo Center across the street and the new ownership is way better than before!

Great Breakfast. Internet was fast. Password is case sensitive. Staff very friendly and we get soap and towels. Midnight Snacks are available. Bathroom was clean. Toiletries available. No bed bugs. Bed and mattress firm. Blanket warm and light.

We've been to this hotel last year in a trip to see relative as we were doing this time. We had such memorable time last year and we wanted to see the dinosaur tracks so we stayed again an boy were we glad we did! We could not say enough adjectives about the staff that would begin to describe how we were treated. Every time we met a staff member they would ask if we needed anything and how our stay was going. Three individuals in particular we were impressed with, Brandon, gave us suggestions as to sites to see while in glenrose, couldn't have been any nicer. Holland made sure our room was available and also talked about places to see. Both recommended Fossil rim wildlife park. A must see for up close and personal interaction with animals for those who enjoy seeing them up close and not for mounting on the wall. Get to feed a giraffe!!! And last but not least was Stephanie, the breakfast preparer. Food was hot, coffee was hot. Breakfast items were plentiful and got pleasant conversation with her. Husband had interaction with owner and he was super nice. Highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel itself was great - very clean and comfortable rooms. But it's the staff that earned the 5 stars! Customer service was off the charts amazing from the front desk to the cleaning crew. Thank you for everything Brandon and Stephanie!

Nice place, easy to get to, plenty of parking, Helpful staff. First time to stay there but the setting was near a highway but it was still very quiet and peaceful. Would recommend staying there especially if you want to visit the Dinosaur park.

Great reception by Brandon. We had to move rooms because of the noise from next door. I could hear every word. I never like rooms with connecting doors as they are usually noisy. However Brandon upgraded us to a nice quiet room - thank you. Nice swimming pool area with spa. Breakfast not our favourite but that's our English tastebuds. I don't care for the 'sausages' and gravy. Not many close-by restaurants open the days we were there. My only small complaint would be that we were not given any extra shampoo etc on the second day.

As we entered the lobby, we were met by a very inviting young man and he was always helpful during our entire stay. The staff was always conversational and knowledgeable about the event and things around town to experience. See ya'll next year!!!

Have been staying here for many years. On this trip we rented three rooms for three night's. Manager Brandon and his staff go out of there way to make your stay a good expierence. Good coffee and breakfast each morning.

We stayed as a big wedding party at Best western. Very rustic décor. Antler chandelier and rocking chairs out front. The staff were excellent. Very friendly. The owner walked around at breakfast greeting all the guests. The breakfast was wonderful and never slept better. In the morning they play country music in the lobby to get everyone going. The only thing that I would do is put more tables up for breakfast ...it was quit crowded in the breakfast area and some more table in the lobby would have been nice. Would totally recommend this hotel. Brandon at front desk was also great ! Almost forgot you :)

Everything about our stay was comfortable like home - in fact my Dad kept referring to it as home. The room was comfortable - the first time I've had pillows that did not cause pain in my neck. The ceiling is a nice touch to keep the air circulating - something I have not seen in other Best Westerns. Brandon greeted us at the front desk and was extremely helpful each time I had a question. Chris is remarkable keeping ahead of the breakfast rush. Not once did we go for breakfast and open the servers to find it empty. In fact, she and the other lady kept everything on the breakfast bar freshly stocked. Everyone has a smile on their face which is contagious. I'm already planning for my trip back there and Best Western Dinosaur Valley is my place to stay.

Nice property-clean rooms, slept great. But most of the owner and staff spent time asking for input on how and what they could do to have done to make our stay better. Short answer--they did everything- and all members of the staff-especially Brandon at the front desk--were focused on making our stay great. My congratulations for a job well done.

The facility/room king suite was clean and ready upon check in. The night shift attendant was a great help to us. We checked out at 0530 hrs because my wife was not feeling well. I will stay here again in the future.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this well-appointed and friendly spot in Glen Rose. The hotel is under new ownership and the owners and family are there to make sure all is going well...friendly and very competent staff. They will take good care of special needs. Breakfasts are best we've had in hotels...kids loved it too!

Staff very friendly and accommodating. Had to be moved to another room however as there was pee all over the toilet seat, dead bugs all over the bathroom and shower floor, some sort of grime on vanity/sink counter top. Probably a rare oversight (i hope) but they really need better room cleaning people and/or quality check before checking-in guests.

Brandon was at the desk and he was absolutely amazing! He was super nice and was very flexible. Most people get annoyed or angry but he always had a smile on his face! Brandon was by far the best receptionist we have ever had and he blew everyone else out of the water. Also, breakfast was delicious every day. We had an awesome time.

Went to see The Promise. Hotel was excellent, good service, clean room, good location for our stay. Would recommend staying at the Best Western Dinosaur Inn and Suites. Will stay there next year when we visit.

From the friendly staff to the excellence of the facility, our stay was enjoyable and convenient. The suite was suited to our family group and we took advantage of a well maintained breakfast menu along with the guest laundry and pool. Very nice place to stay.

Enjoyed the staff especially the young man that waited on us. He was helpful in choosing a restaurant to eat at had the sweetest personality and smile. The rooms were nice and beds comfortable. We loved the rustic stone decor also.

We had a wonderful time in Glen Rose. The Promise was awesome. We also enjoyed our relaxing hotel stay. Big Rocks Park was wonderful. One day we visited the museum near the courthouse and the surrounding gift shapes. Shoo Fly Soda Shop is a neat experience too.

Patrick & Cody with the rest of the crew helped us out by answering all of our questions about the city. They were very friendly & helpful! Our family went to Glen Rose for Labor Day vacation. We stayed at Best Western were these 2 guys pointed us to areas of entertainment & restaurants. The manager & crew were very nice. We really enjoyed the free breakfast along with the pool & hot tub at the hotel.

Nice rooms and location to Event center. Easy to locate since it's on the main highway through town. Staff know the area and was able to direct us to what we needed. Honored a request for a first floor room. Loved it since it let out onto a patio.

This location is clean, but had to have our door fixed twice, our extra bedroom bathroom fixed twice. They did finally get it fixed, the first four days of our stay we had to have something fixed. Staff tried to make it right.

Our commode broke during the night, it was neccessay to take off the lid and manually flush the commode each time. Rather than report it during the night we suffered through it till we checked out that morning. The staff was very nice but I was disappointed that they didn't offer us any thing for our troubles, such as discount on our bill or bonus rewards points. I would still stay here but was somewhat disappointed. Other chains make a practice of reimbursement of some kind for your inconvenience.

This hotel is located within a few minutes of DVST and right next to the rodeo. Only minutes from Big rocks park and the river walk. Our room was spacious. The pool area was nice and the hot tub and kid pool were shaded.

Blown away by the level of professionalism and customer service that was offered at this establishment. Truly felt we were treated as we were family. We cannot wait to take another trip and stay here again!!

Great place to stay with kids. Pools are wonderful here offering a toddler pool, separate hot tub, and separate regular pool which takes out some of the stress worrying about water safety with young ones

This was our second stay at Dinosaur Valley Inn, Glen Rose. We were treated so well by the staff during our first visit and loved the property so decided this will be our home-away-from-home whenever we visit family in the area. The suite is perfect for our family of 5 - two bathrooms is such a treat when traveling! We love the pool and breakfast, and all the staff are always friendly and welcoming.

We arrived in the evening (tired) and Branden was beyond accommodating. I have been to very few hotels where I felt so well welcomed (appreciated) from the beginning. Also, the lobby area is really well done. It is definitely like walking into a rustic lodge, instead of a chain hotel. The pool area is perfect for a family with young to middle aged kids. There is a big pool, a partially covered wading pool and a hot tub and towels were provided. We spent alot of our stay here. Breakfast was good, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful and my kids loved the popcorn offered in the afternoon/evening. The only drawbacks were that the pool could really use some work done and we had a problem with the air conditioning being turned off (and not turned back on) during cleaning. Overall, for the money, this is a great deal. We loved our trip to Glen Rose and the Best Western was a nice home base. I gave it 4 stars but I think 4 1/2 would have been a better option if it was available.

The room was over priced for the size and quality of the room. we had 3 adults and two children and stayed in the two queen bed suite which has the hide away bed in the couch. The hideaway bed was completely broken, and unusable. The mattress was stained and gross, the room was not very clean. The best part of our stay was the employees that helped with these issues. they provided us with a roll away bed, it was only a twin but at least the children were not at risk of cutting themselves on the broken springs. & they also opened up pool 20 min early so our kids could swim before we had to leave.

Excellent stay. Our concierge Cody was excellent and went above and beyond. ! The continental breakfast was well stocked. And the rooms were clean hotel was beautiful. Had a hot tub and 2 pools one was perfect for the children while we got to relax in the hot tub .

We found the price for our stay in a King Bed room was reasonable. The TV was small and the bed was a little too firm for our taste. But, the room was clean and nicely appointed. Good breakfast and nice swimming pool. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, it was an enjoyable overnight stay. However, Glen Rose, Tx dining places close down early at night! We arrived around 8:30 p.m and were hungry, but only found a Burger King open.

Excellent desk clerk. Very helpful and considerate. Quiet and comfortable even through a thunderstorm. Convenient location to local attractions like dinosaur tracks at the state park and fossil rim animal park.

Nice place to stay, close to three barbeque joints and next to the Somervell County Expo Center. Several of the rooms on the first floor open to the outside where you may sit in a rocking chair and relax.

We were unexpectedly upgraded to a suite when we arrived at the hotel. This worked out great since we had two of grandchildren with us. They especially liked the pool!! This hotel is close to the activities that we wanted to do.

Always loved this place but it has really aged and not been updated as to the rooms. Lots of mismatched paint touch-ups, tile grouting and such. Poor job at keeping rooms cleaned. Maid failed to really clean and didn't refill coffee/toiletries supplies. Pool tiles missing and dirty.

This is a great hotel for kids, friendly staff, popcorn in the lobby, great kid pool for the little ones with shade. Thanks to Cody and Rudy for making sure we had everything we needed during our stay.

I spend nights away from home on a regular basis, and do not normally have reason to brag on a hotel. My family and I stayed two nights at Best Western Dinosaur Valley, during our Family Reunion in July. A gentleman by the name of Cody went above and beyond the average to good service I would expect. He was friendly, knowledgeable and very aware of the guests' needs. During our stay, we spent some time in the lobby, coordinating our activities, but I noticed that Cody was always paying attention. He interacted well with the other employees, offering advice, and pitching in to work when needed. We came in late Saturday, and had invited our 5 year old grandson to stay in our room on the pullout couch. However, there were no bed sheets in the room for the couch. It was close to 1030pm, and Cody was still on duty. Within minutes, he had found us fresh sheets. And he was back on the job early the next morning, with a warm smile and greeting. He made our stay go very smoothly, and I am sure he made other guests' stay go well. I assumed he was probably the manager, but when we were checking out, he said no, but was interested in being one. I would highly recommend him! Along those lines, the rest of the staff were friendly, the pool area was well kept, the breakfast in the morning was outstanding, and our room was great. We will definitely be coming back!

I've worked in hospitality multiple years. This hotel and staff is top of the line. It's close to all activities and way comfortable. I love the fact y'all have a baby pool in addition to the hot tub and regular pool!

6 of us stayed here over the weekend. We had a King King suite - comfy beds, AC was good, as was wifi, great pool area for the kids and relaxing, plenty of towels and linens. Inside was clean as was outside. Breakfast was fresh and hot - 24 hour coffee too which was welcomed at our normal wakeup time. No issues with Parking or access to other destinations. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly on restaurants, sights, parks, good tips and hints. The hideabed in our room could've used a 'new' mattress. GREAT wall murals for photo ops!

The hotel was easy to fine and the staff very friendly made us feel like we were at home! Breakfast was great staff was very attentive anticipating our needs,as we had a large group there... everything was clean and easy to acess. THEY AKSO HAD A FROG POND THAT WAS FUN TO LOOK AT THE FROGS,MY GRANDSON LOVE IT!We will come back and stay at this hotel!!! Thanks for a great time!

The hotel was great. Very kid- friendly and casual but very nice. Clean, comfortable, quiet, visually appealing, great breakfast, great pool area....but the staff were the best. For everything we requested, they did a little more than we asked, and in less time than I expected. They were kind, helpful, and very knowledgeable about local amenities and events. They even found a coupon for a park we were going to...I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Glen Rose!

The staff was polite, and the kids had a great time at the pool! The room needed updating, but it was very clean. We had no problem getting on the internet on our phones or ipad. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

This is a small tourist town so not a lot of higher options available, especially with children. Pool was pretty decent and clean.

This Hotel was the most amazing place I have been in. Everyone, including kitchen help went out of their busy way to help you. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We had fun swimming. The outdoor pool was set up so well that we didn't want to leave. We had a relaxing fun time at this place and we will be back. Loved the set up for my dog. We didn't have to walk across parking lot to find a spot for my pet. Speedy (dog) had a good time also. Keep up the good work

This is a fun and very interesting town to visit. The BW was very new and a great hotel for the money. It was very clean and had a great breakfast. We were extremely satisfied and plan on returning to Glen Rose and staying at this very same hotel again.

Very great customer service,nice breakfast,and close to the attractions. Pool was very clear. Popcorn in the evening after a swim was a nice surprise. And they gave out maps,list of restaurants and attractions which was very helpful.

Very clean good feeling hotel. Had a 2 double bed suite with couch and 2 chair sitting room with ceiling fan. Nice size bathroom with a great shower. The breakfast was your normal scrambled eggs, sausage (but sausage was more like homemade instead of frozen warm up). Had your waffle maker, fruit, cereals, etc. Close to all attractions in Glen Rose. I would definitely stay at the Best Western again in Glen Rose, TX.

I stayed here for a weekend event at the Expo Center. We loved the two bedroom suite! It was perfect for our group. The hotel was very clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast area was a little small, but it was kept stocked even during busy times. I will gladly stay here again!

Spent one night here while in town for a graduation. Hotel was nice, staff was very friendly, room was clean. They have a nice outdoor area with a large hot tub and two pools. One is a smaller, shallow kid pool. Breakfast was good as well. Biscuits, gravy, eggs, sausage, the usual hotel things, and waffles, Texas shaped of course!

Brought my granddaughter to Glen Rose to visit Dinosaur World and we stayed here. Room was exceptionally clean, the staff were awesome very friendly and helpful, went out of their way. We enjoyed the breakfast and the price was great.

Everyone at the hotel was very helpful and polite. Me and my son both really love Dinosaurs and this hotel has plenty to look at. In the reception area they have a few fossils to look at and on the second floor the have a lot of Dino pics that me and my son enjoyed. Also this Best Western is located not to far from Dinosaur Valley State Park or Dinosaur World. The only complaint that I have is the waffle batter tasted horrible. My kids took one bite and threw the rest away I tried the waffle myself cause I thought my kids were just being picky. But no the taste to that waffle was awful it tasted sour.

Nice hotel; staff was awesome. We needed to check-in early in order to have enough time to get ready for a wedding and staff went above and beyond the call of duty. They were great. Most of the wedding guests stayed here and it was a fun experience.

We came here with our 4 year old to visit the Dinosaur Valley SP and Fossil Rim. We wanted something affordable and clean for a 1 night stay since we just lived in the Dallas area and wanted to get away for a night. This was a great place for this purpose! There were no big frills but there wasnt anything wrong either... rooms are nice, clean, and basic. They have a mini fridge, microwave, TV with a nice amount of channels, and in our room there were 2 Queen beds. For me, personally the beds werent that comfortable but my son and husband seemed OK with them. The hotel itself was cute! Had a nice Texas feel to it, rocking chairs to relax in on their "porches", very lodge like feeling. I LOVE the Texas star in general so seeing it around the place was a nice touch. the pool area was very nice... the pools themselves were very COLD! We didnt go in them but I did go in the hot tub and it was HUGE! Great for a big group of women or a big family. The area though is very nice and well lit. IN the summer, I think I would have enjoyed the pools but they had just had a cool spell the night before so the water was just too cold. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had seen that there was supposd to be a complimentary evening snack but the front desk staff let us know their popcorn machine had burned up a week or so before. That would have been a great touch! I hope they will get another one or do maybe some fresh choc chip cookies.. the reason this would be a special touch is that this town has NOTHING going on Sundays after 4 pm! Very few places to eat unless you go to Granbury. This is where the fridge and microwave in the room comes in handy big time!! Breakfast at the hotel is nice, simple but nice... I had a nice biscuit and gravy and a bowl of cereal. They had oatmeal, waffle irons, toast, eggs, sausage, etc.... all were pretty tasty for this type of venue. Overall, I definitely recommend this hotel for this area... I think its one of the better ones available and usually for a good price unless you go during a big event. There is an event center next door so keep that in mind. It can be either a very good thing or a very noisy thing.. in our case, nothing was going on so it was quiet. Our son loved it, we liked it.. there are some renovations being done and that still could be done to make this an even more charming place. I loved the nice ornate ceiling fans in the rooms! thats handy! The A/c and heating systems are NOISY and blow hard so if you can, might be quieter to use the ceiling fans. Come and stay here! Its nice but go to Granbury or other nearby towns for dinner if you come on a Sunday or Monday! This town has no idea what its doing an you would think the town would encourage its restaurants and retailers to be more accessible to the many tourists that come!

The staff was extremely helpful and accommodated our requests with a smile. They were also working hard to keep breakfast going with a packed house. Breakfast area could use a few additional tables, though. Room was perfect for us (3), as we had the suite, featuring a separate room with a queen bed for our daughter, while we took the main king bed room to hang out and watch a show or two using the free internet. It was quiet and the beds were comfortable.

This is my third time staying at this hotel. I always try to stay here when we come to Glen Rose. I did not know that they had mini suites and I will request this type of room when we come back the next time. It was just right for my two grand kids and me. We had space to move around and was not cramped. The TV could have been in the common area and out of the bedroom area. Please add BACON to the breakfast offering.

We went to Glen Rose for Spring Break. I really liked the feel and decor of this Best Western. The customer service matched what I have experienced a small town should be! They suggested a few places to visit...to eat/ check out. Love small towns! Appearance overall was really good! Room was clean! No complaints! We had a nice stay and staff went over and beyond!

The room would have been nice but the toilet had old urine on the rim. The sheets had hair on the under side of the top sheet, was given a set of sheets but I had to put them on. There was someone else's bill laying in the table when we came in the room. Then when checking out there was a water from the gift shop added onto our bill and we did not get anything from the gift shop!

We stay here every year. always a pleasure. Clean rooms, and helpful staff, always friendly and wanting to make sure your stay is pleasant. Highly recommend. Looking forward to next year. Come and enjoy the country side while here. Tractor pulls always a plus.

Awesome stay! Excellent service and very gracious staff. Texas themed decor is very cozy. Breakfast was really. Kids loved the koi pond by the pool, they got to feed the fish - thanks to very friendly staff. We will return for sure.

We were given a handicapped room, even though we did not need one and were not asked if that was an option for us when we made reservations. The room looked and smelled as if it had not been used in a while, but since they were at full capacity that night, they obviously were using all their rooms. It looked like the bathroom had been partially cleaned, but the sink was dirty and cleaning fluids were left on the countertop. It had absolutely the worst bed I have ever slept in--or in this case DIDN'T sleep in. Will not be back. A total waste of money.

A fun filled weekend for all. . Our small group from church wanted to see The play " The Promise". We searched for a place to stay and found the Best Western to be the one to fit all of our needs. We were pleased with location, staff, rooms and service we received. Thanks to the staff for a good stay.

The staff went out of their way to accommodate us. We had a wedding and needed the room an hour before check in and they had it ready for us. The front desk staff were very nice and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We only stayed one night since we were there to see "The Promise". Spacious room near the amphitheater. Their rate was much lower than the near-by Comfort Suites. The towels were not as plush as most hotels, but for one night, you can't beat it. Breakfast was adequate but they didn't replenish items (gravy) very quickly. Lots of free parking near the front door. Nicely appointed fitness center.

When we checked in, the room we had reserved was not available and nothing more than a sorry was given. The lobby, fitness center, porches and pools were great!! The rooms were a big disappointment. They are much in need or redecorating and carpets were stained. One bath was in very bad shape due to lack of ventilation fan. We left very early for an early flight and I found a small roach in my water glass and another fell off my sweater which was draped across my purse. We were visiting family in this town otherwise I would have checked out.

Love the rustic look, beds really comfy. Staff very helpful. They need more pillows some are a little flat, but overall is a great place to stay. The kids loved it which is great. Very relaxing place good breakfast.

The hotel had a clean entrance and exterior, but the room was dirty and dingy. The bathroom needed a new paint job. The hotel would have been fine if we didn't have to stay in one of the rooms. Planned to stay two nights, but moved to another hotel after the first night and ended up staying a third night b/c we had such a nice time at the second hotel.

This hotel was great. It started with the doors that electronically swung open to greet us. Everything about the hotel was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was great and comfortable, and we enjoyed every minute we spent there.

So the only thing about this hotel that I can see as a "ok" was the pool. It wasn't filthy or anything, but it looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a few days... (omg... that's so bad right? I know, I know... its not) Otherwise, the room was clean, average decor, didn't make it to breakfast... but there a number of fast food places in Glen Rose and a IHOP about 15 minutes up the road. The staff was nice and fast and we had no issues at check in or check out. All in all if we come back in this area (all 6 members of my family) we'll likely be staying here again.

We had to find a hotel quick we called friendly service ! The younger man helped us made us popcorn and explained everything ! We had the family room it was really clean and nice ! My kids loved the pool they have a hot tub and kiddie pool and bigger pool something for everyone ! The pool was so clear and clean ! They have a little Koi pound with fish my kids thought it was cool ! The inside of the hotel is decorated nice and we had a good breakfast in the morning! You are right down the road to dinosaur Valley! We swam till 10 pm the only thing I would say is they need to turn on the pool lights at night but all in all great stay the staff made sure we had plenty of towels outside for the pool and anytime I called they would jump on it and help very friendly!!!

This hotel is in a great location, and the decor and landscaping is well taken care of. The rooms were big. We stayed in one room suite, which gave us plenty of room for our two boys and a king size bed for us. The furninture in the room was a little worn out. Breakfast in the morning was okay, not the healthiest but great for kids. The best part was the AMAZING pool area. There was something for everyone, a hot tub, a pool that was only 1.5 feet deep for the kiddos and a good size bigger pool that went to 5 feet. There were only a few people staying at the hotel when we were there, so we literally had the pool to ourselves each time we went!

Rustic look and homey feel. The pool area has a hot tub a large pool that's 2 1/2 to 5 feet deep and a kiddie pool that 1 1/2 foot deep. My boys had a lot of fun in the pools. The breakfast was AMAZING as hotel breakfasts go. One of the best I've ever had staying any where. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. They have some really cool murals painted on the second floor and offer free popcorn too. The staff is equally great. Everyone I met was really friendly and helpful. When we stay in Glen Rose again we will not even consider another hotel. This is our only option.

This was my two year old first trip. She was very excited and loved the kid size pool. The staff was patient with my daughter and was very accommodating to us with suggestions for dinner. We will stay there again in the future

The staff were beyond amazing so friendly and kind and the room was PERFECT! a great place to relax after a hot day at dinosaur world! My family loved it!&& the hot tub and swimming area was wonderful, my son really enjoyed it!

We chose to stay in Glen Rose because of the town square atmosphere over Cleburne. The hotel suited us just fine. My wife is cautious about bugs and germs and felt at ease here. The lobby was gorgeous, plenty of space in our room, bed was comfortable, and staff was super nice. The hotel was at 100% capacity when we arrived but parking was not an issue. My youngest son enjoyed both pools while wife and I enjoyed sitting under the pergola, very nice.

This is a nice, clean hotel very conveniently located to the area attractions such as Fossil Rim and Dinosaur Valley. With the name of the hotel we thought there might be more of a dinosaur theme to the hotel but that was not a huge issue. For the value it will definitely be our choice when we return to the area.

I love this hotel and its staff and accomodations. I used to always stay at Best Westerns. Now, I mostly stay at Comfort Inn or LaQuinta because of my 2 little dogs. BUT, when I come to GR I stay at Best Western because I can have my dogs there and I love it so much. If it is full, I stay at Quality Inn because of the dogs and also because they have an indoor pool. I am a pool person. Thank you!

We took the kiddos to Glen Rose, Texas to see Dinosaur Valley State Park and Dinosaur World. Our stay was not a very good experience at all. We stayed for 3 nights but this will be the last time we ever stay at this hotel. 1. The phone in the room didn't work. 2. Room service left dirty towels in bathroom and left only 1 clean towel and not hand towels at all. They said they were behind on the laundry.. 3. Woke up on day 2 with no hot water. Called down (using my cell phone), to which they said they would fix it. Went out all day and enjoyed the sights only to come back 6 hours later to still have no hot water! They said it was because they are doing laundry and using the hot water to wash whites....Unreal! 4. When we got back the same evening (day 2) our room keys did not work. Had to go down to get them reactivated. 5. Second night there was music blasting in a neighboring building until 2am. Needless to say we got no sleep. The staff was very nice but that was not enough to overcome the other deficits.

Everything about the hotel is inviting, beginning with the over-sized rockers on covered porches by the entry. Friendly staff. A popcorn machine in the lobby. Beautiful lobby decor. Comfortable room. Would definitely stay here again.

This is a very good place for families in Glen Rose. They have brought in a lot of Texas and local flavors inside the hotel. The staff is very friendly. Very nice pool area especially the rocking chairs on the porch.

No fitted sheets which is disgusting. Touching mattress all through the night. Broken sofa bed that was dangerous if anyone sat on the corner of bed plus sharp wire poking out. Had to place mattress on the floor to sleep. Broken toilet seat causing seat to slide and pinched my leg leaving a mark. Staff was very friendly and breakfast was good except no water available to drink. It is a good location for Fossil Rim but I won't ever stay here again and I usually love Best Western.

Very caring staff. Its not often in a hotel that you get asked by housekeeping about how we liked the cleanliness of our room. They take pride in their work for sure. Breakfast was very extensive with hot eggs, sausage, hot waffles and ton of toppings. The manager stopped by and greeted us in the breakfast. This is our go to hotel in the area for all future stays.

This is one of the best motel of a kind i ever stayed, it is not only a motel but kind of one of the visiting place while you are visiting Glen Rose. It's interior is excellent & well maintained . Guest service is very nice & carrying. Very helpful staff.

The Best Western Dinosaur Valley Inn and Suites is a good place to stay, especially if you're on a budget. The rooms were nice and clean, with microwaves and small fridges. Our only complaint about the fridges in our rooms is they weren't really cold. The beds were good, but not really firm. We had two mini suites due to our family size - one with two queen beds and a living area with a pullout couch, the other room with a king bed, a living area with pullout couch, and an extra room attached with a queen bed and a second bathroom. The rooms were right across the hall from each other, which was great. The pool area was fabulous- a main pool, a kiddie pool and a hot tub in a nice big area. Breakfast was pretty good, my daughter loved the Texas shaped waffles. On the second floor is a great area with lots of history about the area with great dinosaur information that was really cool.

The staff were helpful, the breakfast was plentiful.The room and bath comfortable and clean. Our only complaint was the pool - too dirty to use. Not even the hot tub. Convenient to all recreations and eateries.

Had a awesome time Jim. the night clerk was a pleasure. Breakfast was busy but staff really kept up with the crowd. I believe they were sold out. When we checked out Ms Sandy was warm and friendly even though she was ever so busy.

Bathroom was not fully cleaned prior to check in as the tub had hair and soap scum. The poor insulation between rooms and noisy guests caused me to awake early in the morning thinking there was a strange man IN my room - however he was using his phone in the room next door. The front desk staff was not very helpful with recommendations for dining close to the hotel.

Booked for three nights with the kids to go do the dino tracks etc.. Pros: Nice Hotel and easy to find, we had a suite and it was large and roomy. Hotel is kept very clean at all times, staff are very nice and accommodating. Cons: Breakfast room is so small, average 5 small tables which meant every morning at breakfast people had to sit in the foyer. Two out of 4 mornings we had to juggle our food back to our rooms which we did not like doing. They were supposed to have additional seating on the back patio but there was nothing out there. The breakfast is sub par. First morning they didnt have yogurts or fruit or anything hot other than this white gravy for biscuits. The other three days they did have scrambled egg but by 9pm it was all gone and was not replenished. The beds were very uncomfortable and the sheets were not very nice. My kid spilled chocolate on them on day one and it was still on the sheet by day 4 so they hadnt been changed. First day Housekeeping just made our beds and did not replenish towels or toiletries. The next three days the beds were barely made..like you know when you ask your kid to make the bed and its flung together quickly! The tv in the room is far too small, approx a 30 "..could hardly see it from the sitting area in the suite. All little things Im sure this Hotel could work on. Over all... we came to this hotel 6 years ago and the rooms were amazing..very richly decorated with a lovely western theme..its like the refurbished the rooms with the cheapest things they could find and it just didnt have the same appeal. With Holiday Inn, Quality suites, Comfort suites all around they will have to up their game to keep this hotel in business for sure. Will we be back...maybe..and thats a big maybe. For $140 a night we kinda expected a little better.

My family and I will stay here again when we come to town. We had a suite where the kids were comfortable and safe and my husband and I were able to close our room door and get a great night sleep. A BIG plus was also not having to share a bathroom with the kids! We had our own.

The hotel lobby is very welcoming, and the popcorn in the afternoon was a treat. The room was spacious, clean and very nice. It was very nice to sleep on a comfortable bed!!! We will stay here again in the future.

Checked in today with my three grandsons while we are here visiting Dinosaur World and Dinosaur Valley State Park in Glen Rose. It's a really nice spot -- looks relatively new, clean, friendly staff. Free breakfast and wifi. Now if they would provide sleeping pills for my rambunctious three year-old twin grandsons, I'd be all set!

This property is my home-away-from home when I travel with my son to Glen Rose for youth sports tournaments. It is exactly what it needs to be every time we visit GR. Great value. Rooms are clean. Location is great. Staff is very helpful.

Stayed one night before bass tournament at Squaw Creek. This was a great place! Room was very clean and smelled fresh. Staff was very helpful! Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again! We stayed on the first floor patio room and it was very nice!

Arrived with no reservation, got a king room with patio for &79.00 + tax. Room was very clean, bed comfy cozy, breakfast was a typical continental breakfast, staff very friendly & courteous. Usually stay at a Best Western, but this one was was definitely one of the nicer properties and very affordable!

Excellent location, great price, beautifully decorated hotel. Within 5 mins to any restaurant or attraction in town. Beautiful pool & hot tub area which was maintained even tho it was winter & pools aren't in use. Comfortable beds, quiet location. Large parking lot out front, well lighted, & I didn't worry about my vehicle being broken into.. Had a large workout room with some equipment. Plenty of towels around for workout & spa use. Staff was friendly & helpful.

very nice and clean place. the staff was very nice !!! will come back next year !!! great location and only a short drive from fort worth TX. very nice lobby and friendly staff made our stay pleasant !!

Very nice, clean, reasonably priced and staff was very helpful with nearby attractions. Enjoyed our stay. When we returned home we found we left a couple items, they collected them and mailed to us right away.

We stayed 2 nights for a dog show, & this hotel is wonderfully dog friendly! We had a 2bedroom/2bath suite. The beds were good, the square footage fabulous. I think the "master" half w king bed, kitchenette, living area & 1 bath is called the king suite. Note there is no dish soap or paper towel or silverware/dishes, so a quick grocery trip was required for those essentials. It's directly across the street from the expo center, pretty perfect. The staff was courteous, competent & very accommodating. We usually stay in high end boutique hotels yet were so very pleased! We would return. Thanks!

Friendly/helpful staff, comfortable rooms, awesome common room. This is my second visit for a yearly dog show. Motel is pet friendly and clean. Staff goes out of their way to be helpful and courteous.

I had just worked 15 hours, was beyond tired. When I walked in a young lady named Jessie greeted me. Her joy was contagious. Even as tired as I was she made me laugh, smile & appreciate the life I've been blessed with. Thank you. I will definitely be back. Great customer service, clean rooms, & a good breakfast!

Due to injury a day before an event, I could not make it. I contacted Best Western 800 number. They stated in no uncertain terms that they could not help, would not help, and I was out of luck. Credit card was charged the full amount of the room.

The inn was conveniently located to our activities in the area . The staff was friendly and the room clean and the beds comfortable. Decor was a western theme and reflected activities of interest in the area. Breakfast was good-standard fare of eggs, pastries, cereal, etc. Overall, good value and I would stay at the Best Western Dinosaur Valley Inn & Suites again.

Hotel is close to everything in Glen Rose especially "The Promise" production. Love the interior. Has a rustic interior. Staff is friendly and helpful. Nice pool. Has a barbecue area nearby and the kids pool is covered. Nice big rooms with comfortable beds.

The room was extremely clean , staff was friendly and helpful . The only issue we had was ..there was no meat offered with breakfast , nor did we see any fruit on the buffet . Other than that it was a very nice stay !! I would definitely recommend this hotel .

There are interesting things to see and do. Local gym and restaurants to walk to. River walk is very relaxing. They have a wonderful animal park near the hotel and the surrounding make you feel that you are in a forest.

we booked this hotel on line but had a terreble accident the night before our scheduled arrival so we had to cancel our trip and we could not get a refund for the day/night stay. we would have liked to rebook for a week later when the healing from the accident was done but now we can't afford to take the trip.
