« Clean, friendly, great breakfast! »

We had a great time staying at this hotel this weekend. My mother is very picky and she even liked it. It was clean, staff was friendly and the breakfast was great! And of course the views from our room were amazing in the Rocky Mountains so that helps too. Thank you!

    « Just plain nice! »

We love to head out west when the crowds are gone, and we have the parks to ourselves. The BW Silver Saddle made our stay in Estes Park delightful. Our clean room was wonderful, with a big comfy bed, fireplace, microwave, frig, 2 stuffed chairs, good lighting, great breakfast and helpful front desk help. The Safeway was right across the street so we picked up a heat and eat dinner every day. The park was about 15 minutes away. This Best Western is just plain nice!

    « A Nice Place »

Check-in was easy and quick. The people were nice and room was clean and had a nice view. The bed was comfortable and the shower was large. We did not eat breakfast, but it was included. The ice machine was difficult to find, but otherwise we enjoyed the room. It is a bit out of town which helps to avoid traffic.

    « my stay »

The staff at this hotel were very friendly at check- in and check-outThe room was quiet, which allowed for a good nights sleep. nice to have free wi-fi and breakfast. Bedding even seemed up to date, and the room was clean.

« Very quiet and clean. »

Place was near empty due to off season. Room was nice and clean. We were put in a handicap room and have no earthly idea why when place is empty. I would have loved a tub instead of a roll in shower. It was late, dark and cold so we stayed put. Check in took forever as we did not already have a reservation. Gentleman was very slow and seemed to do everything manually. Heat and fan mode only worked together. We like to keep the fan portion only running as white noise and to circulate air. Not an option on the unit as then heat ran continually too and room became a steam bath. If we were staying more than one night we would have addressed these issues.

    « Beautiful place »

Stayed here for 2 nights over the weekend. Very impressed with the facilities. The room we stayed in looks like it has recently been renovated and was very clean & comfortable. Breakfast was included in our package & there was plenty of choice of both hot and cold items availqble available. The staff were so helpful & friendly . It was lovely and quiet and is a short distance from town.

    « Good hotel »

We have stayed at number of BW over the years. This property was clean, neat and the staff were pleasant. I would recommend this property. Convenient location, but out of the madness of traffic in Estete's Park.

    « Estes Park trip »

Best Western was a pleasant place to rest over. It was in a convenient location, close to place we wanted to visit . We had a restful night and a relaxing dip in the hot tub. If visiting again I would stay there again if it was an option that I needed to look at, the staff offered good advice as to where to dine, and directions to locations that we were seeking out.

« Annual Vacation To Estes »

My husband & I have stayed at the Silver Saddle for many years. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We love the mountain view, and the hotel is very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is nice too. The hotel is located close to the downtown gift shops & restaurants. It is a great place to spend our annual vacation!

« Once again this was the "Best" »

This past August is the 3rd time we've stayed at the Silver Saddle. It is still a great location and it always our go-to accommodation location. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the property is always nice, and the breakfast has been greatly improved. We were really impressed with the breakfast offerings which included bacon, eggs, fresh fruit, juices, a selection of cereals among other goodies. We love this place.

    « Comfortable, clean accommodation »

Stayed 1 night here, nothing to fault! The description on the website matched exactly what you got. Clean comfortable accommodation very quiet and a decent breakfast. Staff very good. Check in very efficient. Would stay here again!

    « Nice Property »

This is a nice, comfortable property that is well maintained. Our room was very clean and well appointed. The bathroom was very tiny. Breakfast was served in a small room off the lobby. It was very poorly arranged, with people bumping into each other as they navigated through the layout. Overall the experience was satisfactory.

« Best Western Silver Saddle »

This hotel surpassed my expectations. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean, the hot water was very hot. Had an iron/board in the closet. The breakfast was good, especially the mixed fruit (very fresh and hand cut). The room did not have any horrible odor, the toilet and tub were sparkling clean! The rug was clean (no stains), the bed was comfy. And the room was very quiet.

« excellent accomadations estes park »

very pleased with cleanliness and hospitality at this hotel. always available for information about the area. Up to date about access to attractions and knowledgeable of availability. I would stay here again if I were visiting estes park and the rocky mountains.

« Easy to find & get to park »

We're glad to find a nice BW in Estes Park. Clean& roomy & met our needs. Quiet & clean. Nice setting. Breakfast was good. Glad that this hotel is not right in the noise of downtown. Will definitely come back again.

« Our stay in Estes Park »

While visiting Rocky Mountain Nat Park, we stayed at the Best Western in Estes Park for three nights. It is a well run and maintained motel with a good breakfast. We will stay there again if we return to Estes Park.

    « Great little hotel! »

Fantastic location close to all the amenities of downtown Estes Park. Short walk to the stop for the hiker shuttle into Rocky Mountain National Park. The included continental breakfast was tasty and a great addition. The rooms were very clean and housekeeping was quick to get things clean and back into shape in the mornings. Would definitely recommend to another guest.

    5
    « Relaxing stay in a well-maintained motel »

We would recommend the Silver Saddle to anyone who comes to Estes Park. If I could change 1 thing it would be to move it farther out from the center of the town away from traffic, but other than that, it is a great place for couples, single travellers, or families. Loved having the back balcony on the room with a bit of a view of the mountains! You can't get that in many motels!

    5
« Great place to stay. »

Very clean hotel. The best was very comfortable and house keeping had the room cleaned and back to perfection early in the morning. The included breakfast was delicious and a wonderful addition. This location provided for easy access to downtown Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. There were elk grazing just down the road. Will definitely consider staying here again in the future.

« Don't go to bed until your neighbors do »

When I walked into the room, I really liked it. The room was spacious with good decoration. The fridge and microwave were in a separate area with the wash station. I expected a good sleep at night. I stayed at the hotel for two nights. First night I was woken up by the neighbors talking in their room. I could hear clearly all the noisy for about an hour, but not what they were talking about. The second night, I was woken up very startled and scared by a loud noise from next room. The hotel offers free parking and breakfast. The breakfast was good with cold food like boiled eggs, hotel yogurt, milk. cereal, pastry , juice, coffee etc and hot food such as scrambled eggs and potatoes. Once the room is booked, the full amount is charged. Once checking in, $50 will be charged in case any repair needed, if not, the charge will be disappeared from your bill.

« Best Western gives the best value »

I brought a group of 10 with me to Estes Park Best Western Plus Silver Saddle. Our check in process was smooth, the rooms were clean, modern, and equipped to handle all of our needs during our stay. Most hotel rooms are close in quality in this price point, but the staff makes the difference here. They were helpful and always had an awesome attitude. This is my hotel of choice when I visit Estes Park.

    5
    « Very immaculate »

Hotel is in a perfect location, very immaculate. Staff is very helpful, rooms are perfect....a absolutely perfect place to stay!! . Our room was very clean, as was the bathroom. We reserved the rooms ahead and had no trouble checking in. Our room was exceptionally clean as was the bathroom. We will definitely stay here next time we are in Estes Park.

    « A Very Nice Experience »

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Best Western in Estes Park, Colorado. The room was comfortable, breakfast very good and the staff members we encountered were pleasant and helpful. Will definitely stay, again, at this property when visiting Estes Park.

« Stay at Best Western Silver Saddle! »

This hotel is nestled in a picturesque area of Estes Park with great views and very close to downtown Estes Park and other parks and sites. The rooms are very large, comfortable beds, nice large vanities in the bathroom, microwave/mini-frig and internet. Large TV with multiple channels. The staff is always accommodating and very nice, and the breakfast offers a wide selection and very tasty! The breakfast staff is welcoming and friendly as well. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and even say a herd of elk nearby as they grazed! What a treat! Thank you Best Western!

    5
    « Excellent choice »

Stayed here for 5 nights. Absolutely one of the best places we have stayed at. Close to RMNP and close enough to Estes Park downtown. Rooms very clean, spacious, comfortable beds, Hugh TV, WiFi, laundry room, computer room to print your boarding passes, Spa (didn't use), and the most friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast is a bonus. Bacon, sausage, biscuits with gravy, waffles, pancakes, eggs, potatoes, cereal, fruit, yogurt, juice and coffee. Thank you Best Western Estes Park

    5
    « ADA Access »

I have never been in a hotel/motel that was so accommodating and so accessible. This hotel has gone beyond compliance with the ADA. Also, the staff was just very nice and polite. I recommend this place, especially to any person with a disability.

« Very clean, quiet, comfortable base in Estes Park »

I just spent two nights here for some day hiking in nearby Rocky Mountain Natl Park. My room was very clean and comfortable, with excellent wi-fi and shower. The hotel is just outside of the main part of town, which is helpful on the weekend given the traffic! My included breakfast was typical of this kind of hotel: so-so in taste but plentiful and served cheerfully. I'll stay here again on my next visit to Estes Park.

    4
« good palace to stay »

this is a nice place to stay. is clean and well kept, staff is nice. the thing you will find strange is the the breakfast set up. you are given a "breakfast ticket" and you are suppose to bring it with you in the morning. then they count the number of people going into the breakfast area and only so many are allowed in at any one time. never seen this before

    5
« Best Western, Silver Saddle, Estes Park, CO »

We enjoyed our stay at the this well-run facility convenient located on Hw. 34 on the north bank of Lake Estes. It is accessible without encountering the heavy traffic which is often a problem in the town. It features a friendly, competent staff, comfortable rooms, and includes a quality breakfast. Great view.

    5
« Best Location in Estes Park »

Our room was 218 and it was excellent. Bed was very comfortable (except for the hard pillows), quiet location and we enjoyed our balcony overlooking the mountains. I think perhaps this was the best Best Western we have stayed in. The breakfast area was quaint and selection of food choices was good. I highly recommend this Best Western.

    « Spotless and inviting »

Spotlessly clean throughout these premises. Decor is modern and appealing with bathrooms in many rooms fitted out for disabled folk. Air conditioned rooms are very, very quiet and so a good sleep is guaranteed. Breakfast buffet is very good also with very pleasant reception staff. Plenty of parking right near your room.

    5
    « Perfect »

Stayed here two nights and we were so happy that we didn't spend more money at the other hotels we were considering. Rooms were large and very comfortable. Great free breakfast with a pancake machine! Staff professional and friendly. Save your money and stay here with the same or better accommodations. Use the savings on a great meal at one the great restaurants in Estes Park. We chose Mama Roses which was delicious.

    3
    « Decent place »

The property (and the room) itself was nice and clean. The breakfast area was cramped. They layout of the serving area was at odd angles so it was difficult to get what you needed without bumping into others (or waiting for them to move out of the way) The seating area was also tight. The breakfast selection was decent. The service overall was average. Wifi worked well

    5
« Great stay, great staff »

We have stayed here before and were just as happy as we were last time. Rooms and beds were extremely comfortable. Had good wifi, a/c, mini frig and microwave. We had everything we need. Complimentary breakfast was very good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very conveniently located to park.

    4
« Very comfortable and VERY quiet »

My wife and I had an excellent overnight at the Best Western Plus Silver Saddle. The room was good sized and surprisingly quiet, We didn't hear a sound from other rooms or the parking lot. The breakfast was one of the best that we have had at a Best Western. They had cheesy scrambled eggs and even onion bagels. Definitely a treat, The hotel is close to downtown and a Safeway grocery store which made things very accessible and convenient. I would stay here again if I were in the neighborhood.

    4
« clean and orderly place »

We spent two nights to do some hiking in the Park. The fellow at the desk was careful to spend time getting us checked in and give us all the information we needed for our stay. Key, room location, hot tub rules and breakfast ticket. We were down around the back which meant a bit of a walk to get places. We used the hot tub, and did not have to yield to anyone after 15 minutes. Towels and key from the front desk. A nice soak after hiking. Breakfast was really nice. Several hot choices, mini-waffles, meat and eggs. A nice detail was grated cheese and salsa for toppings. Also nice that they had mini-biscuits and mini-butter; take as much as you like but you didn't need to waste food if you wanted a small portion. The room is monitored by a ticket checker so we felt safe, ha. No TV blaring during breakfast either, just elevator music. Very thoughtful touches made this a pleasant stay.

    5
« Great hotel, big room, great location »

We stayed for 3 days over Labor Day weekend. We had 2 queen beds. The room is spacious, clean, and the staff was helpful. It is one of the cleanest rooms I've stayed in! The maintenance man was cleaning the AC filters. The beds were a bit soft for me. The hotel in a few miles from downtown but is easy to get to the park.

    3
    « Good Location »

Pros: Location-- very short drive to downtown Estes and the park. The hotel rooms are extremely clean and well maintained. Cons: Outdated and doesn't feel like other BW Plus hotels (lacks the upgraded feel and amenities of other BW Plus properties) The breakfast, although provided at no extra cost, was not good and not displayed well. The hotel also requires that you bring a breakfast ticket each day and does not allow any food to be taken out of the small breakfast area... I got some looks from staff for taking coffee to go. I'm a very loyal BW customer (I like getting the points for free rooms), but probably won't stay here again simply because it felt like such a low grade BW.

    5
    « Best little stay »

We stayed 2 nights. The hotel was very clean and staff were friendly. The a/c works great and the room was spacious. The hotel is close to downtown Estes and the Rocky Mountain National Park. Estes Lake is just a short walk or 2 minute drive away...a great place to visit for getting outdoors.

    4
« Comfortable Stay at the edge of Estes Park »

We had a great, short stay a this Best Western Hotel on the east side of Estes Park. the room was comfortable and clean. The front desk staff was very helpful with great restaurant recommendations in town. They had a basic breakfast offering with cereals, eggs, sausage, waffles, fruit, juice and coffee. The hotel has a pool and a hot tubs that you can reserve for private use in 15 minute blocks.

  • 4
    « Great View »

We had a room on the lower level and the view of the park was great. The room was very clean, had a fridge and microwave, and new shower. The hot tub was really nice, but a long walk from our room. Breakfast was excellent, lots of hot choices and delicious coffee cakes each day.

    4
« View the Rocky Mountains with Morning Coffee. »

My brother and I spent six days at Silver Saddle, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Every morning they provided a hot breakfast, which was great. When we asked for advice or help they went out of their way to help with finding a place to eat, or travel in the area. Our room was on the second floor and had a bench outside our room with a great view of Estes Park and the Rocky Mountains. The motel was just a couple blocks from downtown Estes Park and the hotel where the "Shinning" was shot, plus only 4 miles from the entrance to RMNP.

    3
    « Not Bad »

Other than a slightly nicer breakfast than some hotels, I'm not really sure why they call this a "Plus". No major complaints or surprises, other than the AC unit smelled like burning wires at times. But not overly impressed for the cost.

    4
    « Nice Clean Hotel »

Very nice maintained hotel. The desk was friendly and helpful on dinner ideas too. Our room was ready. A smaller king room with the window facing the parking lot. The room was very clean and well appointed with ref, microwave, in room coffee. The bathroom was fair size and again very clean. Breakfast: was good and served in a nice room note "No food can be taken back to the room" Check out time seemed early at 10:00am Use Best Western's web site for reservations and best rates. Note your card will be charged in full at time of reservation.

    3
« Nice hotel close to Estes Park »

This hotel is on Hwy 34 as you first enter Estes Park from the East. Nice and spacious room. We needed additional shampoo, which the front desk happily supplied. The free breakfast was good. We didn't spend much time in the room or at the hotel due to other activities, but it met our needs.

    5
    « Highly Recommend! »

I'm not sure what I expected by booking a Best Western as I normally do not stay at this brand hotel but we were so pleasantly surprised. I could not recommend this hotel more. The front desk staff was helpful and courteous. I loved the that our rooms open to the outside as we had been camping the days before coming here and had a cooler, food, and a lot of gear. It was great to have easy access to bring this all in. The room was clean and well-appointed. I loved having a small frig/freezer. The breakfast was delicious and substantial. Such a great amenity to provide. We also went in the pool. It was clean, the chairs were very nice and the front desk provided towels. All in all, our stay was great. We will most definitely stay here next time we are in Estes!

    5
    « Wonderful Experience »

Extremely Clean the rooms are very new not one thing nicked or marked. Super large bath room, we took the King room. Awesome Breakfast it is buffet style with bacon, eggs, pancakes, biscuits and gravy while we were there. Super Staff. We Loved it. Thank You.

« great place to stay!! »

very friendly staff. Breakfast is very good. Rooms are spacious and very nice. the hotel location is great for exploring the north end of RMNP. Hotel is also close to the lake and has a walkway right into town. Definitely love staying here and will do so again.

    5
    « Fantastic remodeled room »

We booked a room with a king-sized bed. You can imagine our surprise when we opened the door and found not one king-sized bed but TWO! The room was huge. It was well appointed and had a lovely fireplace as well as a kitchenette. The room was lovely. When they renovated they took extra care in the details - like crown molding. We also enjoyed the balcony that overlooked Estes. We would definitely recommend the Best Western PLUS Silver Saddle.

    4
« Estes Park Resort Wedding Weekend »

Room was big. Fairly dated with paneling, air conditioner, carpet, etc. Bed was very comfortable - for us one of the most important features. It was clean. A little high priced compared to places we usually stay, but compared to other places in Estes Park it was fairly priced. Had a gorgeous view from the bedroom window. Front desk staff was very helpful and friendly.

    « Beautiful Hotel w/great breakfast included »

We spent a few nights in Denver at a Doubletree by Hiltion and two nights in Estes Park at the Best Western Plus. The BWP was so much nicer than our other accommodations. We really liked having a ceiling fan in the room and that we had the ability to open the window - it was so nice to breathe the crisp mountain air in the comfort of our room.

« Beautiful View on Rocky Mountains from Balcony »

Centrally located. Friendly, Helpful Staff. Beautiful View of Rocky Mountains from the Rooms Balcony. Very Clean, contemporary two king size bedroom...very comfortable beds. Microwave and frig. Laundry facilities on premises...which we used. Nice Pool. Friendly , helpful staff.Internet worked great. Breakfast Menu....had something for all; eggs, bacon, small waffles, fresh fruit, yogurt, bagels, oatmeal and cereal milk, juice, coffee, tea. This is my second stay at this hotel......my first stay here was in 1993.....same great service this time as the first.

    4
    « Rocky Mountain Way »

Located at the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park in Estes Park, CO. good location to head into town or into the Rocky Mountain National Park... comfortable room and secure surroundings.. Parking was a little tight when hotel was crowded, but served an excellent complimentary hot breakfast with many options

    4
    « Pleasantly Surprised! »

We made a last minute trip to escape the Texas heat. Not many vacancies in Estes Park so we had to "settle" for a Best Western. Very nice place. Hotel manager was very helpful in recommending where to eat, where to hike. There is a free shuttle in town that stops right at the hotel and takes you into town. I would definitely stay here again.

    5
    « Impressed! »

I was very much impressed by my stay here! Despite the motel layout, the rooms were quite modern, clean, and comfortable. Nice view from our room; had a bench right outside our door which was nice to sit on at night. Breakfast was standard, pool and workout facilities were not that great. Staff were wonderful, highly reccomend!

    4
« Older hotel with very nice people »

We have stayed in some BW Pluses that were much newer and nicer, but this was an older property that is still well kept and had excellent folks to help at the desk. Everything was clean and requests were honored immediately. It was a bit far from town, but most of the hotels in Estes Park are not that close to walk into town easily. It really is an older motel-like situation, but, again, everything was just fine--especially the people who are there to help.

    4
    « A decent place to stay »

Decent hotel, decent breakfast but the breakfast area is small and hard to get around when there are several families eating, the room was clean and spacious, the pool was cold but clean. You have to check out a key to use the hot tub at 15 minute increments so that's kind of inconvenient, I had read that somewhere before going and couldn't figure out why, but when using it I realized it's because it is pretty dinky so I suppose it keeps people from monopolizing it for long periods. The public restrooms near the front desk are locked so you have to check a key out. The staff was very friendly.

« The Best in the West »

My family and I originally wanted to stay at the hotel that we were at a couple of years ago but by the time we chose to make reservations, the place had no vacancies. We stumbled upon Best Western, read some reviews, and booked four nights and five days there. When we got there around 2 pm in the afternoon, the front desk said our room would most likely not be ready until 4 pm. For some people, this wait would have been horrible, but for my family, we were fine with waiting a couple of hours. We played miniature golf while we were waiting and returned after 36 holes. Our room was on the third floor and near the stairs which was very convenient. The room had two king sized beds, a full bathroom, a large television, a small microwave and a small fridge, a small coffee pot, a desk and chair, and a nice view of the Rocky Mountains. The front desk and breakfast opened at 6:30 am. Breakfast was served until 9:30 am while the front desk and fitness center were open till 10:30 pm. Upon checking in, our family received a yellow slip of paper which would get us into the breakfast room, right next to the front desk. They would randomly choose to check our pass so we learned to always bring it. Breakfast was very nice and offered a wide range of options. There were several different cereals (Cheerios, granola, wheats), scrambled eggs and cheese, skim and low fat milk, mini biscuits and waffles, oatmeal (Quaker brand), cantaloupe and watermelon, yogurt (black cherry, strawberry banana, and strawberry flavors), toppings like coconut flakes, chocolate chips, craisins, and banana chips), sliced potatoes, coffee bread, bagels, English muffins, pancake mix and pancake maker, toaster, apples and oranges (whole fruit, not sliced), and a wide variety of jellies and syrups. In total, I definitely enjoyed the breakfast there. I just wish that the biscuits were offered everyday because my mom was disappointed when she saw the potatoes instead of the biscuits one morning. And the breakfast room can get very full and crowded around 7 am (a prime time for breakfast) which makes having a quiet breakfast hard to get. The fitness center is literally a closet but it has a treadmill so I can't complain too much. I just wish that it also had Dumbbells instead of just the three little weights machines that only work the biceps. The room is adjacent to the "public" restrooms, which is not very pleasant. Also, I think the room key should allow us into the fitness center rather than having to ask for a key at the front desk everyday. As for the room and service, the room provided just the amount of space that we needed. The television had a lot of channels including my favorites, Food Network and Hallmark. We were given four towels everyday by the maid and were always welcomed back to a well made room at the end of the day. The beds have reading lamps along with normal lamps on the side. I would suggest bringing a power strip because there are only a couple of outlets near the bed. In general, the room was very clean and we encountered zero bugs inside. There are both stairs and an elevator for convenience and parking spaces that lead you straight to the entrance of the building. If we didn't want our maid to come in right away, we just pressed the privacy button and that worked perfectly. This hotel is located just five minutes away from downtown Estes Park. This is perfect because we were able to avoid the crowd of visitors while also being able to easily access the shops and restaurants. To learn more about some of the nice shops, activities, and restaurants that my family visited, check out my other reviews. To cap this off, like the title of this review mentions, this hotel is the best in the west so go check it out. Hope this helps.

We stayed in the new wing, Very clean, comfortable and spacious room. We booked online 2 months ahead of time and got great rates. Quiet. Breakfast was very good for the type of complementary hot breakfast. Free Wi-Fi worked well.

« Stay here! Not sure why this is #12 in Estes Park... »

Summary: We stayed here after a failed night at the Silver Moon Inn. We are glad we did! Room: The place was so immaculate. The grounds, the room, etc. All were perfectly maintained. Staff: Other reviews say that the staff wasn't friendly...we had a good experience though. You can tell the place is run very tightly, and it shows in the maintenance and upkeep. We were happy with our experience. Overall value: Really good. Location: It is not on the main drag, but we actually liked that. The downtown area gets SO crowded, and it was easy to skirt around it from this location. Would I stay here again: Yes, No question.

« Not five star but does the job »

We stayed here for two nights in August so we could be close to the Rocky Mountain National Park. My husband booked it so when we pulled up I was not thrilled it was a road side motel but I have to say it did the job! Very clean; quiet despite being on the road; comfortable & warm. If you are coming this way I would recommend it. Este Park the town is ok. Food in town is terrible so we drove 45 mins into Boulder to go to the Wholefoods & restaurants.

    « Fresh and clean. »

We stayed in a large room on the backside of the grounds. The room was extra wide because it was handicap accessible. The grounds and the room were clean and well keep. Be careful at breakfast. The tables are of poor design and I hit my shin on the legs of the table and ended up with a bruise. Also, the eggs were made with cheese. I don't care for cheese with my eggs.

« Great Place to Stay in Estes Park »

I don't normally do reviews, and usually take reviews "with a grain of salt". However, this motel lived up to it's ratings, and expectations of a Best Western Motel. Price was reasonable for season and location, staff were pleasant, room was very comfortable.

    « Fabulous Mountain View! »

I took my boyfriend to see his first mountains ever...the view from the balcony was fabulous! The staff and hotel were excellent. The rooms were very clean and fresh. Breakfast had a variety and was very good.

    « Comfortable stay »

We were here during a late fall weekend, to get started on some holiday shopping. Our room was clean and comfortable. There were good options at breakfast time, but we did find the layout of the food to be a little crowded, causing human traffic jams when everybody's trying to eat and run at the same time. The staff were friendly enough and we did not encounter any major problems in our room. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay!

    1
« Not customer friendly - at least in this one case. »

Probably a fine place to stay, but I won't find out. Policy overrides good customer relations at least with the manager. Hope you have better luck. Estes Park is too beautiful a place to not have a better vibe.

    « Very happily satusfied »

We were very happy all around! Easy check in/out. A nice, clean room with a view of the mountains. A two minute drive to the town and a very short drive to Rocky Mountain National Park. A nice breakfast spread, included. And most especially a helpful and friendly staff who used their knowledge of the area to help fine tune our plans!

« Nice hotel with good breakfast »

We received a room that was down a very short hallway, I think the one of the only rooms not directly accessible from outside. Room was great but the a/c in this particular room as very noisy, to the point that every time it came on it would rattle at some point and wake us. Room was always clean and the breakfast was good.

    5
    « completely satisfied »

Wow! I was pleasantly surprised--for a Best Western, this is a great hotel! The staff is very helpful and attentive, the grounds are well-maintained and it is in a great location, close to restaurants, downtown, a Safeway and the park entrance. Breakfast was nice, with plenty of options, both hot and cold. I was most pleased with the room--two king beds and very spacious for kids, with a desk, table and chairs and great balcony to sit, eat, relax and enjoy the view. (the room also includes a small microwave and refrigerator which we utilized a lot) We used the pool as well as the spa--small but still adequate. I recommend this hotel especially if you have children--quiet but lots of room to roam.

    « A Very Good Choice »

We stayed at the Best Western Plus Silver Saddle for only one night prior to going to Rocky Mountain National Park, and it turned out to be a very good choice. We had one two-queen room and one king suite. Both were comfortable and quite large. The rooms have exterior entrances from the parking area, so there is the potential for noise from vehicles or people, but at least in my case any noise died down before I went to bed (and it was never major in the first place). Breakfast was fine--what you normally expect from BW--wifi worked well, and check in/out was quick and friendly. We especially appreciated the time the man who checked us in took to tell us about several restaurants for dinner and point out their location on a map. The location is very good for anyone planning to visit RMNP. I'd like to visit the national park again. If I do, and if I enter from this direction, I would be happy to stay at Best Western Plus Silver Saddle again. I'm sure there are other good options as well, but this one met our requirements.

« Clean rooms, good breakfast, small pool »

Rooms are very clean and fairly large (especially bathroom area). The breakfast was good each morning - lots of hot options. Outdoor only pool - seems like most hotels in the area are only outdoor which is too bad as it can be chilly. The pool was heated well though so temp was fine if you stayed under water. The only unfortunate thing is the hotel casts a shadow on the pool which puts half the pool in the shade and can get chilly. All around the hotel is a good option for your stay in Estes.

    « Such a great hotel! »

We stayed here last year and loved our stay so this year came back! Very clean hotel with great breakfast. This time we had a double king room with a balcony that overlooked the Rockies! Neighbors behind hotel must feed birds - they have multiple blue bird houses out - so in the morning lots of bluebirds, hummingbirds everywhere! Very enjoyable! Will definitely ask for room 222 again!!! They have a nice pool and a playground for the kids and it's right near a Tolley pickup location.

    « Great Location »

Staff at the Best Western Plus were wonderful. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Location is not downtown but just a short drive. We were here over the 4th of July and were able to see the fireworks from the marina. Breakfast was delicious and changed with the day. Eggs and pancakes and waffles every morning with either bacon or sausage. Fresh watermelon and melon too. Coffee was really good. Free wifi. Coin washer and dryer-can buy soap and clorox two-obtain a key from the front desk and its your private laundry. Room was always clean and housekeeping did a great job. I would have given 5 stars but we did not like the mattress or pillows. Maybe just us but we woke up with back and neck aches. We would stay again if hotel was to obtain new mattresses and pillows.

« Enjoy Estes Park and the Rocky Mountain National Park »

We were in town for just Friday - Sunday. 2 nights here at the Best Western. It isn't in downtown and not really walking to restauraunts but its probable most have a car so not a big deal. The hotel itself was friendly, had the continental breakfast options and had enough parking. The room itself wasn't what I booked but it worked fine. I can't tell you how comfortable it really was after hiking 10+ miles a day we were tired. There was a fridge that was nice to help keep stuff in. The breakfast area gets very busy and runs out of food at the rush so it takes time. There were elk in the parking lot and even some babies near ny that you could see from the door.

    5
    « Great hotel »

Hotel was very clean, nice outdoor pool, close to all the shopping and downtown area. Great view of fireworks from our balcony. Breakfast was good also. There is also a washer and dryer which is a plus but only one so you have to hit that at the right time to get in. 1.75 to wash and 1.75 to dry. The office will make change for you if need be but I took my own and own laundry soap. There is also soap you can purchase soap ot sure how much that was. They had a small little Shop by the office also for small things you may forget. They also have a couple swing seta back behing the hotel for the little people to burn off energy. Over all great stay would stay here again.

    « Fantastic Experience! »

While this isn't a "luxury" hotel, this is the best hotel experience I have ever had - & I travel a lot! The rooms are large, very clean, the beds are very comfortable, & there is a fantastic view of the mountains from the balcony. Their staff are all very friendly and their free breakfast was excellent each day. It's a short drive from the shopping area in Estes Park, which means it was very quiet. I would highly recommend this location!

    5
« Great stay while visiting RMNP »

Our family of four was lucky enough to have a room with two king beds. The room was very nice and spacious. I liked having the vanity in an area separate from the shower. Their breakfast is one of the best I have ever had!! Great place for couples and families. Very quiet even when full. If you stay here you won't be disappointed. Outdoor pool was nice as well. We took the shuttle once to downtown and drove twice. Was glad to find parking in Estes Park to explore the downtown restaurant and shopping area. I wish all resort areas were more like Estes Park.

    5
    « Large rooms »

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Silver Saddle. We received the mountain view that we requested and were pleasantly surprised with the enormous room. We loved having two king beds for our family.

    « Great hotel. »

We stayed overnight for just one night but were impressed. Very nicely renovated room. Our room had an outside entrance and over looked the mountains. Beautiful view. The room was very clean. The pool was nice as well. I would recommend this hotel for a short term or long term stay.

« GREAT experience in Estes Park, CO »

From the considerate and caring front desk staff (all shifts) to a clean room where everything worked, this is truly a great hotel! PLUS, they even had BACON on the breakfast menu! Property has obviously been cared for and maintained.

    « disappointing »

This was very overpriced for tiny room that was not modern. Don't think the doorknob to bathroom had been updated since the 70s. Everything was clean and the staff was friendly, but we were disappointed, especially after coming from Aspen and spending way less for a much better room.

    5
    « Beautiful views »

Yes .....the views are spectacular, plus it's very quiet, off the beaten path. Not down town but an easy drive in. Our room was very spacious and probably one of the cleanest rooms I've ever stayed it. The check in was fine, the guy was not overly friendly, but hey, he might have had some issues of his own. At check out we were greeted by a much nicer man ( btw, he was our check in man) OK, another day!!! The breakfast was really good and the area was super clean!!

    3
    « Clean room, great view...but... »

We had a room with mountain view, room was very clean with a balcony. Enough space for the two of us, would also fit for four without problems. Breakfast included, very small room, only white bread, no marmelade, only apple jelly. You are not allowed to take anything from the buffet out of that room, an elderly lady watches everything you are doing. Restroom using in that area requires a key, you have to ask for that at the front desk! Using the hot tub is allowed for max.15min, to use it you must get a key from the front desk, it is inside, very sticky, small room, too much clorine in the water. Outside pool, towels available only at the front desk. Whole property is non smoking, smokers are meeting at the street. A lot of cameras everywhere, it feels like "big brother is watching you". Although rooms and location are good, there are too much rules for everything, the rate is too expensive for what you get, breakfast below average, we would not come back! Sorry about my english, came a long way from Germany.

We staid here on our way home form Yellowstone Naitonal park. It is a little hard to get ot but once there it is quite nice Thw room was nice and it was very comfortable. Th parking is limitedd and we had to park some distance from our room. The morning breakfast was good. We each had scrambled eggs.. The manager susggested a great steak and seafood resturant whic we tried two nights. We wold definitely stay here again if the need arises. .

    « Nice Hotel »

Overall I had a very nice experience at this hotel. The heated pool and hot tub were a plus. It had a lot of rooms with great views but I was not able to get one of those due to lack of availability. I was a little disappointed since I am a Diamond Member and thought they would have checked prior to my check in that was the case and made sure to accommodate me with a room with a view. The room itself was very nice even without the view. The hotel has a great breakfast and the hostess Susie was extremely friendly and helpful. A real keeper and asset to the hotel.

    4
    « Enjoyable stay »

We stayed in the "new addition." Very nice room with a view of the lake. The free breakfast was better than ones we've had at more expensive chains. The scrambled eggs with cheese were tasty and real - not powder eggs. A couple of computers and a printer were easily available to print boarding passes. Highly recommend for a family stay as this hotel offers good value.

    « What a Surprise »

This hotel was a surprise. The outside is attractive but the interior and rooms were a beautiful surprise. Huge chair moldings, wonderful decor and the cleanest rooms we experienced on our trip. I still haven't figured out how they get the bathroom chrome that shiney. Truely impressive operation. Let me mnetion, the young lady who checked us in was wonderful. She made checking in a joy. AAA+

« Family Trip to Colorado »

This Hotel is a nice place to stay. Rooms are very clean and well decorated. The breakfast was good, liked the fresh fruit served. Ideal location within the Estes Park area, long walk or very short drive to shopping area. Overall excellent value for price.

« Well Run and Loved »

Everything was extremely clean and well maintained. The only thing I can add to previous reviews was that the Breakfast far exceeded the usual chain included buffets. No, there was not a Breakfast Room monitor. I totally understand their "food only in Breakfast room" policy. It allows for great service at a reasonable price. The only thing I found odd and a little disconcerting was that they did not allow vaping on the property. I have never encountered this before since there is no danger of fire or smell. Oh well, I would still recommend. It is a very well run hotel.

    « A little over-priced »

I've stayed at a number of Best Westerns and this was probably one of the worst hotel designs I've seen from their company. It's never good business when your customers have to ask for a key to use the lobby restrooms. The rooms overall are clean and what you would expect from Best Western. We stayed on the weekend and it ran $440 for a two night stay. You can find more affordable rooms in the area for sure.

    5
« Comfortable with Great Spa »

Rooms are well-equipped and have comfortable beds. Breakfast is excellent, well-prepared and with very good selection. Spa has wonderful jets, is clean and private with check-out system guaranteeing only one group at a time.

    « Enjoyed our stay »

The Best Western Plus in Estes Park was clean, the front desk staff were very friendly, the breakfasts offered a number of choices for most anyone's tastes, and is conveniently located for the town of Estes Park and access to Rocky Mountain National Park.

    4
    « Updated and clean »

The hotel is updated, clean, modern, and most importantly quiet. Our family stayed in a suite. Two bedroom, two king size beds very comfortable. The pool and hot tub area were clean and well maintained. We will stay here again.

« Nice place to stzy »

We stayed here for one night while visiting Rocky Mountain National Park. The check in seemed very time consuming but front desk person was very helpful with directions and restaurant suggestions. Our room was in a totally different building away front lobby. I was a little nervous because we were surrounded by a very large group of young travelers who were hanging out in the parking lot. It turned out they were not noisy at all. The room was very big with king bed. We did not request but got a handicap accessible room. The breakfast was adequate bug the room was small.

    « Silver Saddle »

We've mainly been staying at BW's, and this one was about the same as our other stays. Nothing terrible to report, just an average hotel stay! It has everything we need! We do like the wide variety of breakfast options that are available. We were in the building with a floor above us, so we could hear the people above, but it wasn't a problem at all. We started bringing a noise machine with us and it drowns out any noise that might normally keep us up. Overall, a great time spent in Estes Park!

    « Fantastic hotel »

We stayed here while visiting Rocky Mountain National Park. The hotel was so nice! The room was big, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. My kids enjoyed the pool and swing set. The location was great for shopping and visiting the national park. I highly recommend this hotel!

« Nice Hotel near Rocky Mountain »

The room was a bit stuffy when we arrived, but it was large, updated, clean, and even had a microwave and refrigerator! The bed was so comfortable that we slept in later than we planned! The only thing to keep in mind is checkout is at 10 AM and breakfast ends before that, so make sure to have an early start :)

Housekeeping was great. Maintenance responded right away to our concern. We also had an issue with the hair dryer that I did not report. We had a one-year old, so we would've liked to take our breakfast to our room. The breakfast area was very cramped and crowded.

« Nice Hotel in Estes Park - Best Western »

Previous hotel reviews in TripAdvisor were fairly accurate. The room was large and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Front desk check-in and check-out was fast. Nice location to downtown Estes Park. The free breakfast is decent. It's not gourmet but has the basics there to fill you up. Fruit was good. BTW - we paid $10 to visit the Stanley Hotel and last time I checked, the room rate was around $280 per night. That is all well and good but not sure I'd want to stay there while having tourist (like me) running around the lobby, front porch and outdoor dining areas. I'd pick the Best western again.

    4
    « warm welcome hotel »

the staff was very helpful with assisting us on how to check-in as we were arriving after hours due to flight delays & this was a concern with us at 1st; however, they comforted all our worries and accommodated us greatly.

    « June 2016 »

This is one fine place to stay. The rooms are rather large, sitting area in each room. Facilities all look quite nice. We happen to like the folks who work there. Location is ideal for Estes Park visiting. Not too far from down town, close to some elk who roam in the immediate area.

    5
    « Great View »

A great place to stay! Very friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast. Our room was clean and updated. The front desk gave us a great tip on seeing a herd of elk on the golf course in the evening which was a short drive away. We stayed in a second story room that as you walk out the door it gives you a great view of the Rockies and my husband who woke up earlier than I did saw a bull elk next to the parking lot.

    3
    « OK hotel »

This hotel was clean, comfortable and the wifi was strong. Part of the rooms are outside entrance, others are inside. Parking for a larger vehicle was a challenge. CAUTION! We made our reservation online, and the hotel charged the complete stay to the credit card in advance of arrival. Make sure you don't have to cut your trip short because they do not refund payments. We had to leave a day early, but their "3-day notice" policy left us paying for a night we could not stay.

    « Great Location »

We booked 3 nights at this BW hotel, having never visited the Rocky Mountain NP before. We were given a room in the new block which was very newly decorated so had that nice 'smell' about it. The hotel is a little way away from the centre of Estes Park but no more than a 5 minute drive. The weather was a little cool for the pool but I could see that it was well maintained by the on-site guys, but we did use the hot tub a few times which was indoors. Breakfast was very good (we haven't had to many bad ones with BW) and we availed ourselves of the laundry. A great 3 days spent in RMNP.

« Great Breakfast, Comfortable Room »

We were in Estes Park for an outdoor wedding. Room very nice but we were not there except to sleep & change clothes. The 2 breakfasts we had were very nice, the pork Chili Verde was very good. The buffet equipment and set up is first class. Would definitely stay there again.

    « Awesome Hotel!!!! »

I have never stayed at a hotel that was as nice and clean as this hotel. It had a wonderful mountain view, working fireplace, the room and bathroom was so clean it actually sparkled! Even the TV remote was specially cleaned!!! The breakfast was very nice and well stocked and also very clean. The staff (especially the front desk) were extremely helpful and very kind. It was off season when we visited this hotel, so we paid $108.00 which was a great price. I don't often get to write such glowing reviews ( and I write a lot), so when I say this hotel is great, this is a huge step for me. I would go back to this hotel if it cost $308.00 a night, this is how nice this hotel was . Overall: excellent hotel, wonderful, kind staff!

    « Fantastic Lodging »

« Very disappointed in booking policy »

Today I called to book a room for two nights in September, I offered to give my credit card to hold the room, and then pay cash upon arrival. I was told that I would have to pay the whole $323 fee up front, I told the man I talked to that we have traveled extensively in the United States and have never been told this before, I called and booked a room in a rival hotel in Estes Park, they had no problem with taking my card number and not charging it until arrival, I told about my experience with the Best Western, and they said they have heard this complaint before.i also booked a room in Colorado Springs for three nights and they told me they cannot charge my card until check in. I am very disappointed in the Best Western, I would hope they would change this "policy".

This hotel is right in the middle of it all. It was a perfect launch pad to Rocky Mountain National Park. And a great place to relax after long hours of hiking and sightseeing. « Great stay, great value »

We stayed here for 2 nights for a short visit to Rocky Mountain National Park. The hotel staff were extremely friendly, hotel was clean and breakfast was better than expected. Eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt and of course all sorts of breads and muffins. Bed was a bit stiff for my liking, but after spending all day in the park, we managed to get some good sleep. Definitely recommend.

Toiletries in room were a nice addition in addition to the in room refrigerator and microwave.

    « Remodled, but average »

The best part of this hotel is the newly remodeled room. If you smoke, be prepared to be sent outside to a small and windy area. All the halls are monitored with video cameras. Many rooms have outside access and no hall. The breakfast left a lot to be desired. The scrambled eggs ran out and it took ten minutes for them to bring some small "peppered" eggs that looked like fake poached with hard yolks. We will not stay here again. Our view was to the side so you had to lean pretty hard to see the moutains. Some rooms may have a better view, but not many. You had to have a pin to use the computer in the business center and ticket for breakfast.

« Wish I could have given a negative rating! »

Cory "The manager" naps in the back while his staff mistreats all the guests. When you ask for a refund, THEN he is woken up from his nap to tell you no and be even more rude to you. This was the most unprofessional establishment we have ever stayed at. Enjoy your naps.

« Is iron theft that rampant »

I am a world traveler, I have never stayed at a hotel where the iron is literally attached by use of a very short tether to the ironing board. The iron was pulled out of my hand twice because of this very short tether. It's a low end iron, I can't imagine they are that popular. There has to be a better solution, I noticed the TV was not tethered; why the iron? It kinda freaked me out.

« Very good place to stay in Estes Park. »

The Best Western Silver Saddle in Estes Park is a very well maintained property. Housekeeping was top notch. Room and bathroom were perfectly clean. During Christmas time, heat worked great. Breakfast was excellent. Very odd lay of the property - you cannot go from one end to the other without going outside, i.e. no interior hallway that connects all. In inclement weather and with elderly/differently abled this may be an issue. Couldn't find comprehensive listing of dining eateries in the hotel. Driving around town, we saw many restaurants that we didn't find listings of in the hotel.

« Good location, decent value, decent breakfast. »

This is another clean, nice, friendly Best Western. We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Rocky Mountain National Park. We stayed during the off-season, so it was very quiet and empty. If staying during the busy season, I would recommend asking for a room on the second floor. The hotel is a bit dated, but it suited our needs just fine. The breakfast is average and could use a little work - it definitely got old having the same food for 3 days, but it's "free", so we can't complain too much, but we've had better at other Best Westerns. Since we really only used the hotel for sleeping, it suited our needs just fine. Easy to get to the National Park. Would stay again.

    « Beautiful Hotel »

My family stayed in two rooms at this hotel while visiting Estes Park for the night, and found it to be very nice! Our rooms were well-appointed, spotless and the bathroom just shined! The beds were great, and the breakfast was excellent. We really loved the green chili for the eggs and the home fried potatoes! We will be back and recommend your hotel to anyone visiting Estes Park!

    « Pleasantly Surprised »

We stayed at the Best Western Plus Silver Saddle when we came to Estes Park for a conference and the main conference hotel was booked. We are glad we did! We stayed in the King Suite which had a balcony overlooking the white capped peaks. The room was updated, clean and bright. The bed was beautifully made and very comfortable. There was even a gas fireplace which we weren't expecting and that was very romantic. We also liked that the TV was updated and larger than most hotel TVs. The room service came on the second day we were there and restocked and cleaned everything as if it were the first day of arrival. The WiFi was easy to connect to but we did have spotty cell phone service in the room. So we had to use the room phone and we were charged $1 per minute. There is no sign on the phone, we were told that the charge is listed in the guest directory (rudely) at check out. We didn't mind paying for the charge, but based on the attendants rude reaction, I imagine they get disgruntled guests often for being charged $1 a minute for even local calls. It didn't ruin our stay, but I would hope they be more transparent about this charge in the future and possibly include it in their check in material or perhaps a sticker on the phone itself as a courtesy to guests. Everything else was top notch.

    « Estes Park »

The staff was great. Very friendly and accommodating. The hotel was very clean with an amazing view. Very close to the little shops and the park. Good breakfast. It's a great place to stay. Only downside is the office closes by 11. But the staff is very willing to work with you. And everything in town closes by 9pm (accept McDonald's which is 11). So be prepared.

    « Overpriced, poor management »

Stayed last July for several days. Great location. Room comfortable and clean, but cramped. Terrible view of a wall outside of window. Complained to management, and was told nonrefundable and that I got what I ordered. I did not order a room with a terrible view and stuck-up management. Have stayed here twice. The first time, had a large room with great view of the mountains. Management was unfriendly and not guest oriented. But we had a nice view.

« Excellent Value in Estes Park »

The Best Western Silver Saddle is an excellent choice when visiting Estes Park. Close to everything, clean comfortable rooms, excellent hot breakfast, and free internet. Would not hesititate to recommend or stay here again in the future.

    « Nice stay »

Hotel room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly. Breakfast offerings pretty typical. Room had small frig, coffee maker, and microwave. Location provides easy access to Estes park. We stayed for two nights, and thought it strange that they changed towels, but didn't make the bed after first night. We checked out early and left cardkey in dropbox next to front door.

    « A pleasant vacation »

I always check tripadvisor for suggestions when booking a hotel. This hotel was highly rated and had great comments. We were not disappointed. The room was clean and tasteful, the breakfast sufficient, the workout room was more than adequate and the hot tub was inside and very relaxing. We would definitely come back!

« Nice Hotel, Pleasant Surprise »

Good stay at the Silver Saddle. Staff was welcoming. Clean, comfortable, quiet and spacious room with plenty of room to spread out. Chairs and a table! no need to sit on the beds to read or snack. Close to RMNP. I'd stay again.

« average because of staff »

Nice place, but grouchy staff took the shine off what I would call a stellar property. Might be fixed by the time you get there, so check it out. Footnote The property is 100 percent geared for servicing people with physical handicaps.

« Great Location and Nice Hotel »

This hotel is an excellent location! Close to Rocky Mountain National, close to the Stanley Hotel, and close to all that Estes Park has to offer. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Internet was free and fast! Overall, really nice spot!

« Great location near Rocky Mtn National Park and Town »

Very good stay at this Best Western near Rocky Mountain National park and the town of Estes Park. Note that it is on a busy road so you can't walk into town but short drive and parking in town (note we went end of season in October). Breakfast was very nice but looks like in high season there would be an issue with number of tables. Numerous signs in the breakfast room remind you not to take breakfast items to your room (a little annoying seeing these signs). Hotel should consider in busy times providing breakfast bags (like Hampton does) so people can take breakfast with them to start their day.

« Excellent hotel, would recomment to everyone. »

We only stayed at this hotel one night and was very satisfied with the location, clean rooms, and great breakfast. Also with the assistance of the personnel, they would do anything to help you or answer your questions. The rooms are clean, have a lot of room and are updated. Located close to town, Estes Park, and the entrance to Rocky Mtn. National Park. Be sure to visit The Stanley Hotel, used in The Shining movie.

    « Excellent location,value for money »

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel and were very satisfied with the comfortable, clean rooms with excellen WIFI, good breakfast [although a bit more variety would be appreciated if you stay for more than 1 night] but above all the friendliness of the personnel, one of the nice characteristics of most BW's. Highly recommended.

    « Nice hotel, but.. »

The hotel itself is very nice. Impeccably clean, spacious, modern. My issues were with the laundry and the breakfast. We chose this hotel primarily because it listed laundry facilities and after several days in to a road trip, we needed this service. We checked in just after 8pm, only to be told they do not allow guests in to the laundry room between 8p-8a. We are very early risers and like to get out by 7am. So we literally sat around for hours, just to START our laundry. Very inconvenient! My second issue was with the full, hot breakfast. True, it's a full breakfast if you are not vegetarian! Even the eggs had bacon mixed in. The gravy for breakfast had sausage mixed in. So my option was soggy mini-waffles if I wanted to take advantage of the hot breakfast. It was very disappointing. I'd recommend to the hotel to at least have plain scrambled eggs. With that said, I'd still stay here.. I just feel that time restrictions should be listed on the booking sites, and the breakfast could accommodate various diets.

    « Terrible customer service »

I did not even end up staying at this hotel because the customer service was so terrible I cancelled my reservation. I made a reservation to stay for a friends wedding. When I called to make the reservation the woman I spoke to, Anita, was very nice and helpful. I booked a single king room at the AAA rate or 99.95/night. she had a confirmation number for me and everything and said I would have my email confirmation within 24 hours. Two hours later I got a call back from Anita saying someone had booked the room online while I was on the phone with her and it was no longer available so not only would she have to rebook me, but the room was going to be more expensive because prices had gone u since I had talked to her and it also was going to be a single queen room, or I could pay more for a mountain king room. I told her I could get the 99.95 price online and instead of being helpful and apologetic for making the mistake and not letting me know until 2 hours later she cluelessly told me to book it online then. By the time I got their website working I saw prices had gone up at the hotel between that morning when I had originally looked, big surprise she told me to book online. At this point I called back to talk to a manager, who conveniently wasn't in but would be back soon. I left a message for Cory the manager and patiently waited for his call back. I patiently waited until the next day. He called me back, apologized for taking so long and said he had my reservation in front of him and wondered hat I could do for him. So clearly had not listened carefully to my message as I had said I had an issue with the front desk and would most likely be cancelling my reservation. So he just said well OK I will cancel it and that was that. No bother to ask why I was cancelling or find out what they could do to improve their customer service, just cancelled it. so clearly they have no care for who stays there. I had already booked another place to stay that was less expensive and just as nice.

    « Regarding A.D.A. Facilities »

    1. The bed was a little high for spouse. 2. The commode was too low for spouse. 3. The bathroom mirror behind sink was too high for spouse to view herself while putting on makeup and combing hair. 4. The bed was too close to wall on spouse's side.

« Watch out! Unethical business practice. »

I booked a room by phone since the website wasn't working. I was quoted $99/night for a king room. I gave them my card and Anita said she would email me the confirmation. She called me back 2 hrs later and said...OOPs the room is no longer available. She could only give me a single queen and it would be $119!!! I already had a confirmation and had given them my credit card!!! I called and asked to talk to a manager - Cory called me back and was totally disinterested in my situation. I cancelled the reservation and he had no comment other than to give me a cancellation number. VERY BAD BUSINESS!!! My company will no longer do business with Best Western

« Comfortable place to stay »

This place has all you expect from a top notch Best Western. Our room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom looked brand new. The shower had great pressure, the beds were super comfortable. The full breakfast offered many choices and the people working the desk were friendly and helpful.

« Great place to explore RMNP »

We stayed here for four days in Sept 2015. it is located just outside the downtown Estes Park area, just up the road from the visitor center. Rooms have balconies and a sitting room. Beds are nice. There is a small bar area with a fridge and sink. Breakfast is served daily off the lobby and is adequate. It is a short drive down to the restaurants in Estes Park. We'd stay here again in a minute. Staff is super friendly. Our room overlooked the mountains.

« Good pick from reviews »

We had a king room with balcony and view of mountains Once we arrived, we realized that this hotel looked better than others that we saw in the same area and had better reviews online. It was close to town and easy drive to park.

« Place had nice rooms »

Good sized rooms beautiful view out back they charged my card without telling me so that's why I didn't give 5 stars. If you are go in ng to charge a card tell someone. No smoking at all in the area so if you think you might enjoy my some recreation think again. Town was worth the visit and this place was decent to stay with average price.

    « disappointing experience »

I have just reviewed this property thru the BW site and it would take another half hour for me to go thru all the challenges we had with this property so I will simply say that the hotel itself was very nice, super clean, great location and had a handful of very nice employees. The place however is managed very strictly and as a guest I felt unappreciated, untrustworthy and disciplined...too many rules and the worst one being check-out time is 10 AM . Plus every extra facility there has a separate lock that must be asked for at the front desk (ie: fitness center, laundry room, lobby restrooms, etc.) . Not a place I would recommend to anyone wanting a positive experience. I am surprised Best Western allows this hotel to operate under its name.

« Nice hotel and well located »

Immaculate, had some nice amenities like a pool and hot tub and laundry facility. Nice adequate breakfast, though dining area is small. Good location and could walk to Estes Park main street, a very short drive and since we were there on a weekday, Estes Park was less crowded. Since our visit was in late September, the crowds were down and the weather was excellent. So wish we could have stayed longer!

    « Very nice hotel »

We have been to Estes Park many times and have most often stayed in a cabin and this was our first in a looong time to stay in a hotle in Estes. We didn't know what to expect. Our experience was wonderful!! The hotel has been completely redone and it appears maintenance and housekeeping are excellent. We were upgraded to a room with 3 queen beds which would be an absolute dream for a slightly larger family traveling. It had a sitting area with a fridge, microwave and sink. In addition the bathroom was divided into a shower room(with a door) an a sink area(also with a door) allowing multiple functions to go on at the same time. Overall a great room and a great experience!!

    « Surprisingly Nice »

We enjoyed our 5-night stay at the Best Western Plus Silver Saddle. The room was nice with granite surfaces on the bathroom counter and tables in the main part of the room. This motel seems fairly new. Our bed was comfortable, bedding good quality and abundant towels and bathroom supplies. The room was well insulated for temperature and helped reduce noise. Not a fancy hotel, but a very nice deluxe motel room with a small balcony. 45" flat screen TV, free wi-fi that worked great. The HVAC system worked well and was not noisy. We could hear elk buggling from our room and it was a short walk down the hill to observe elk along the golf course. Rocky Mountain National Park was our main focus and we had a great time hiking and driving through the park to view elk and the fall colors in the high country. We also enjoyed the breakfast that came with the room, it was a cut above most continental b-fast at other similar properties and offered some variety from day to day.

    « quirky rules, clean/modern property »

I will end up with over 100 nights in hotels this year, so believe me when I say that this property isn't normal. A very clean hotel with easy access from the highway, our room was quite nice and the property has the efficient RF key system. However, the funny thing about this hotel, is that it is all setup to benefit the hotel. I kept thinking that their motto should be... "this hotel is great and if it weren't for the guests it would be perfect." Check in after 4pm and check out at 10am. Breakfast was 6:00-9:30 am and they closed the doors at exactly 9:30. Just want a yogurt and bagel to go instead of sitting down? Nope, not allowed. Lots of rules. First trip over for breakfast, we had to wait because the small breakfast room was full. If you can look past all of that (see other reviews for other pesky restrictions), it is conveniently located to the National Park. For the reasons above, I rate it with 3 stars because I felt like I was being tolerated rather than welcomed while I was there.

« High prices on a busy weekend. »

This was just an average room in my opinion. Supposed to be one of the room with the best view. View was mostly the one side of the roof and a lot of power lines. Room was big and I slept well. That's the main thing. There was an even I didn't realize was going on and this room cost me $250/night. Next time I'll plan better. Hotel is a long walk to the interesting parts of town but there is a shuttle if you can figure out how to use it. Everything in the room worked. Parking lot is very small and I had a hard time parking a full size truck unless I was one of the first ones in the parking lot. Essentially one small narrow slot per room. Breakfast was very good considering the crowd. For the money, I'd try to find something within walking distance of town the next time I visit Estes Park.

« New, clean, quiet and friendly. »

A nice, clean, quiet, comfortable room that looked newly renovated. Private balcony and sitting area in the room also. Microwave and coffee maker. Friendly staff. The included breakfast was average. About a mile from downtown makes it not quite walkable for most but it was otherwise a convenient location.
