« Nice Hotel Just off TransCanada »

We stayed here in 2014 so we knew the facility. Large foyer with wooden spiral staircase, fireplace, antique-looking soft chairs, all nicely decorated for Christmas. This time we had a drive-up which was very convenient. Seems we're always in Edmundston in the snow and this stay was no different. Two queen size beds, lots of pillows, a real bathtub plus shower and the usual amenities such as Keurig coffee, ironing board, bar fridge, microwave, and 42 inch flat screen TV. One very welcome feature is the hard floors throughout. Easy check-in and check out and friendly bilingual staff. There is a pool but we didn't use it.

« Great Hotel, close to the highway »

This is a very good hotel, close to the TransCanada highway and close to the town and services of Edmundston. The hotel is clean and well maintained and the in-house breakfast is the standard BW one - nothing special about it. The room we had had laminate flooring so no worry about dusty rugs. The plumbing, AC, shower, TV etc. all worked well and the beds were very comfortable. A good choice for a hotel in Edmundston.

    5
    « Super place »

Good location with nice room. Breakfast is good and this hotel even has a bar/lounge, so no need to go outside. The rooms have Keurig coffee makers and even popcorn. The only thing I don't understand is why they don't put some milk/cream in the refrigerator in the room, rather than having that powdered creamer?

    « Very nice »

I was there for 1 night on business, the room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good, I enjoyed the waffles. Love the fact there was no carpet in the rooms and the bed was very comfortable. I will stay here again if ever back in Edmundston.

    « What a nice surprise !!!! »

Arrived unexpectedly here on a Sunday mid-afternoon. Easy check-in. The front foyer is open concept, 2 level with a beautiful spiral staircase leading up to a bar/lounge that overlooks Edmundston. Spectacular view !!!! Honestly ....... What a layout ..... awesome decor ..... Room and bathroom were both clean. Free wi-fi, Rogers cable tv, microwave, fridge, coffee maker and a spacious table to set up your laptop. I felt very comfortable here. Whirlpool and pool were clean. Plenty of towels. Afternoon Sun beams in through the large windows that face the West. Breakfast was good. I would give it an 8 out of 10. If I was being picky ( and I am totally not ); maybe they could have had premium canned fruit cocktail; with the orange segments and pineapple chunks. The stuff they had was the "plain Jane" type. LOL The eating and service area was very very clean. I was impressed. I could go on; but there is no need. If you stay here; you will be back !!!!! Ahhhhhhh, yes, one more thing; I have to mention the front house staff. They were very helpful and efficient in their job. If I could say it in one word; experienced !! Thanks, it was a pleasure writing this review. Daniel

    « Very nice hotel »

We had a pleasant stay, the hotel was very nice. It was clean and cozy. We had breakfast included which was decent. They had lactose free milk available at the breakfast area. Staff was also very polite

    5
« Beautiful and quaint, friendly stafg »

We spent a night in this hotel on our way to P.E.I for Christmas and have vowed to stay again when making the trek. Their pool and hot tub area was clean and felt great after a long day of Winter driving. They're pet friendly and had no issues with our 2 very well behaved German Shepherds staying with us.

« Excellent stop going thru Edmunston »

Great price, clean updated rooms, in room microwave, coffee maker and iron, very convenient, lots of amenities plus continental breakfast. Staff were friendly. The hotel is tight off the highway and close to restaurants.

« Very nice hotel with small bar and lovely French decor! »

Awesome feature of the hotel was a small, cozy bar on the second floor. After traveling all day on the road it was very nice to be able to check into your room and just walk down the hall for a glass of wine. The decor of the bar was very modern. Our server/bartender was named Josee' and she was so friendly and gave us info about New Brunswick and we enjoyed a great conversation about U.S. politics! Nicely furnished in French provincial decor, with Blue Boy pictures on the walls, etc. throughout whole hotel. Nice entry into rooms, pocket door to separate entry and bathroom from rest of room, spacious rooms. Only negative is that carpet would have been more cozy instead of the vinyl flooring the rooms had. They even sanitize the TV remote control!

    « Great Stopover »

like the advertising along the highway, so we knew right where to get off. very easy to find. Super Value and service.it's a 10+.The rooms are large and the bathrooms spotless. Coffee is all ready inside the door. Will definity stay at Best Western again.

    « Awesome »

What a great place! Huge room! So nice and clean and the crib was assembled upon arrival. The pool was perfect. They have a nice shallow pool for toddlers which is a bonus. Breakfast was great and the staff was outstanding. Thanks so much for the perfect nights stay! Can't wait to come back!

« Good location, large rooms, modern hotel »

Stayed here as a halfway point between PEI and Montreal. The hotel is easy to reach, just off the main highway with good parking. Quick and friendly check-in. My room was very large with two queen beds and an outlook over the parking lot. Bathroom was large, bright and clean with enough supplies. The hotel has a bar with an outside terrace, but not a restaurant for lunch/ dinner. There are several restaurants and bars in the town. The bar upstairs has a limited selection of drinks, served with nuts by friendly and attentive staff during my visit. Room was clean and bed comfortable for a good night's sleep. Overall a good hotel in a practical location.

    5
    « large clean room »

The room was quite large and contained a king sized bed. The bath was also quite large , modern and clean. Check-in was fast and friendly and the full breakfast was everything that I could want. The cost was what I would call average, certainly not cheap.

    4
    « Busy hotel »

Typical best Western accommodations with all of the standard amenities. We arrived late afternoon and were not able to get a standard room. Got upgraded to suite for minor cost. Decor was a little dated and had peculiar linoleum floor?? Breakfast buffet was a bit of a zoo but expected given how many rooms they have. A little noisy at times.

    5
    « Wonderful Hotel »

My wife and I spent a night in Edmunston and were very pleased to have found this hotel. We booked the hotel though CAA and, while there was a minor issue with check-in, the front desk staff was able to clear it up fairly quickly. The room was clean and spacious and the noise level was minimal. The complimentary breakfast was good (basic, with a fair selection) and our overall experience was quite pleasurable. We will be certain to return to this hotel when we are in Edmunston again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay.

    « Pleasant surprise »

Travelling enroute from PEI to Montreal and needed a place to stay. We have stayed at another facility in Edmonton in the past but were not entirely satisfied so tried this hotel. We had a king room on the 4th floor. While the hotel is 9 years old the 3 and 4 th apparently are recently renovated. Wow! I cannot vouch for rooms on the lower floors but our room was exceptional. I have seldom stayed in such a nice, modern room in a chain hotel before. As well a free breakfast was included and this was not the case in the Sheraton. Would not hesitate in coming back here again.

    « one night stay »

3 people, one room, one queen bed, one double. Well equipped room, excellent beds, linen clean and lots of extra blankets provided. In room wifi, modern television with good channel selection but no Fox News. That's a negative

    4
« Great staff, squeaky clean rooms, good facilities but tacky decor. »

All in all, a positive hotel experience. Unfortunately, the overall decor of the place looks like an enthusiastic amateuri 'designed' the interior. Lots of needlessly elaborate imitation wood carving, etc., especially in the lobby. The Bauhaus it ain't! Nice pool and very nice, accommodating front desk folks though. Handy location too.

    « The Gaspe Swing »

Our last night of our holidays, what a great room to finish of a great trip. Beautifully decorated, clean, amenities +++. Bed was comfortable booking in was easy. Best Western has a lot of feature any family would appreciate. We were within walking distance of a small mall so was able to get a bit of exercise after a long drive from Cavendish beach.

    5
    « Better than expected »

We stayed at the hotel just below them last year on our way to and from Toronto. It was awful and said this year we would pay the extra and do the Best Western. Smart move I must say. Check in was pretty much instant, wi-fi was great, pool was great (slides for the kiddies), rooms were comfy and everything we needed. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We found a bar on site, slightly hidden if you weren't looking. Staff were great and introduced me to my new favourite drink:-) This is usually our 1/2 way point during our long driving trips. We will definitely stay here again!! Located right off the highway and several restaurants within a km.

    « Crime Stoppers conference »

The staff were very friendly and helpful. I had some printing to do at 10:30 at night, that I needed for the next morning's meeting. I went to the lobby to use the computer and printer for guests and a staff member came over to offer assistance and brought me a 3 hole punch and a stapler to use. Frank's Bar and Grill had excellent food. I especially enjoyed the crab stuffed filet of sole with bacon wrapped scallops and rice. The staff were very friendly and accommodating there as well.

    5
« Well done as always »

Stayed twice in one week, up and back from Ontario. As usual the ground floor room was clean and spacious. Even I could manage the thermostat. Reasonably quiet, restful stay. The only down side is they have stopped including bacon with the breakfast... oh woe, the agony LOL.

    « Conference Visit »

Had been years since I traveled to Edmundston and the first ever for business. Great spot to stay and located close to local amenities. Folks at front desk are professionals and bilingual. This hotel was a nice find after a 3 hour drive for meetings.

« Great one night stop on the way to the east cost »

Very good location, with plenty of parking all around. Large reception area which overlook so he breakfast area. There were two bus loads of travellers but we still found room for breakfast. Large spacious rooms with sliding patio doors and an air conditioning which worked well. Lots of room in the bathroom with a convient counter area outside the bathroom.

« Just average, but very friendly staff »

My partner and I stay in Edmundston every year on our way out east, and this was our first stay the Best Western Plus. We normally stay at the Days Inn, as it is usually half the price, but for whatever reason when I went to book with them 9 months before our trip as usual, there rates were the same as the Best Western, so we decided to go with somewhere new. This being said, the Best Western was very similar to the Days Inn. It was not at the same level as other Best Western Plus's that I have stayed at in the past. The staff were very friendly upon check-in and our requests were accommodated (upper floor, facing away from the highway). The room was clean, but the floor was a strange laminate material that had seen better days. We appreciated having a tiny fridge, Keurig and microwave, and we used all three. The bed wasn't the most comfortable bed, but it was fine for a night. When we woke up the next morning we got ready and headed down for breakfast extra early since we read the reviews about breakfast being packed. Breakfast was a standard continental breakfast. The cereal was a nice addition, as was the waffle maker. The food over all was fine, but again, nothing great. Check-out was simple and we were on the road before 7:30am. Overall, this is a fine hotel to stay at, and if the Days Inn continues to be the same price, we will stay here again. However, this hotel was not worth 140$ a night.

    5
    « Good Experience »

Would recommend this location. Very pet friendly! Easy to find, close to main thoroughfare. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Will definitely rebook next year on our annual eastern Canada road trip! 200 Characters is a lot of characters.

    « Fine (for a night) »

Located right off the highway, but Edmundston does not offer much to do. Check in / out: friendly bilingual staff. Pricier than expected/average. Tip: book online to get lowest price (hotel does not price match by phone or in person). Free Parking: be careful when parking at the front of the hotel (drop-off/rock wall). Spots on main level by patio doors are reserved for ground level rooms. Plenty of rear parking, but more lighting is needed. Spacious reception/lobby area and hallways. Rooms: Average size with roomy, clean bathrooms. Quaintly styled with 2 queen beds that are comfortable, but have movement transfer issues because they are not on platforms but frames. Trouble getting the AC to work properly (possibly related to patio doors it's linked to prevent from running if not shut tightly). Second sliding door separating sleeping area and foyer/bathroom helped contain room/hallway noises. We were on second floor and could faintly hear walking above us and flushing/showers of adjacent room. There is a mini-fridge (no freezer), microwave, and Keurig by the room doorway/in foyer. Free WiFi. Enjoy a self-serve breakfast, including eggs, (yummy) maple baked beans, biscuits, and mini sausage as well as breads, yoghurt and fruit (oranges, apples etc), coffee/tea & juices. Breakfast area/country kitchen is quite cramped (and difficult to maneuver in). Extra banquet tables were set up in reception area to offer overflow seating. No restaurant on site or within walking distance, but there is a newly renovated modern bar for drinks (no food/snacks). A few minutes drive to main street or one exit away from box stores/shopping. Pool is quite small and has an enclosed twisty slide (not suitable for adults). Six person hot tub. Pool area is viewable from inside and outside hotel. Well equipped exercise room available.

« Great Hotel for Pet Lover »

These folks definitely understand the pet-loving traveller. I loved the ground floor room, with a sliding door to outside. A good size room too, with a frig and microwave. Will definitely be our stop when heading down east again.

    5
    « Quick stay »

As per my usual, a quick stay for work on short notice. Speedy check in, great rooms. Loved the blankets on the bed, enough weight to them to make for a great nights sleep. Hotel was a great location, very quiet and a the entry way was a very pleasing design.

« Sixth stay at this hotel! »

This will always be my hotel of choice in Edmundston, while on trips to the east coast. Welcoming front desk staff, large clean rooms, comfortable beds/pillow, roomy bathrooms, lots of towels, fridge, microwave. The hotel is close to the highway with gas and food nearby, just south of the highway. There are also many delivery options. It's located in a quiet part of town, and you cannot hear highway noise from the hotel. The hotel is well decorated, and front-desk staff are polite and helpful. There are many hot and cold breakfast options, and while the breakfast room can be a busy area, additional tables and chairs are setup just outside the room when there are many guests. Wifi was slow at times. We opted for the convenience of a main floor room, however, the hotel is noisy (in terms of guests on the floor above).

« Halifax Student Trip stop over »

Half way point from Ontario to Halifax. Rooms were very large and spacious - floors are not carpeted and could be a little loud. Bathroom was bright and clean -showers had lots of hot water and pressure. Breakfast was adequate but the breakfast area is way too small for the size of the hotel. Too crowded for us to sit and eat breakfast - skipped it the second day and had breakfast at McD's. Check in and out was quick and efficient. Parking was tight but adequate.

    4
« Awesome Hotel and Great Location »

We have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions as we shuttle our daughter back and forth to university. It's location is great. Just off the highway and the mid-point of our trip. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. A big thank you to Jose in the lounge for taking good care of us. There is a free breakfast with the room, but personally I don't find it very good. This is really the only downside of the hotel, everything else is great!

    4
    « Pet Friendly »

This is a well run hotel. The staff is very friendly and ready to help with anything you need. The room was clean and had a sliding door to our parking spot- very handy with the dog. Breakfast was crowded so we grabbed food and went back to the room. Good place to stop on your way east.

    4
« Efficient and nice hotel on the highway »

The hotel offers relatively modern rooms and a few restaurants are a short drive away, one can possibly also walk if you want to enjoy a few drinks. While the hotel offers no restaurant, they have a bar open in the evening!

    5
« The PLUS in the name is perfect! »

Our stay was great. Very clean rooms - we especially loved the floor! Sounds weird but...it initially looked like carpet until we took our shoes off and found it was like a laminate - very washable. This gave us a great feeling that it was clean! The pool had a slide and was fun. Breakfast was a hot buffet and included in the price. The service was wonderful. Wi-fi was free and fast! It was relatively close to the highway.

    5
« Great place to stay in Edmunston »

Found this gem of a hotel unexpectedly. Had driven by many times before but this time decided to stop and stay in Edmundston. This hotel will definitely be a stop in the future - great service, friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere overall

    5
    « Unfair charges »

Hotel is great but if you are Canadian who booked a reservation through the Internet and were quoted a room rate in $C, be warned that you will probably be charged by Best Western in $US. Book directly with a Canadian hotel and DO NOT USE THE INTERNET RESERVATION SYSTEM if you are a CANADIAN!

    4
« Great location and wonderful property »

Reservation booked thru Expedia. Hotel location is just off the Trans Canada, which is excellent for travellers. Arrived late and ease of check-in. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Wi-fi and breakfast included in price. Very clean property. Wonderful wood and iron staircase leading to 2nd floor. Indoor pool facilities, small gym, and lounge on site. Lounge also has outdoor seating which was perfect to unwind and enjoy the summer evening weather, Decor was comfortable and inviting, rooms on main floor have access to parking lot, also small bistro table and chairs outside of sliding glass doors which is a nice touch, Hotel amenities...something for everyone. Only downside is the layout of breakfast buffet and size of entrance and room. Found room congested during peak time from 7:30-8:00 am, and travellers bumping into each other trying to grap a coffee to go, or filling plates with breakfast items. A re-design in order to improve traffic flow and food selections would be helpful. Highly recommend this hotel on your next visit to the Edmunston area.

« Pleasant one night stay »

Only stayed one night, so cannot comment too much on the merits of a longer stay. Very friendly and helpful staff on a very busy day. I sis not use the pool but the many people in there seemed to be having a great time. Most importantly for me, the location was great, the room comfortable, and the breakfast fast and quite adequate for the day of driving ahead of me.

    4
« New but needs interior design work »

A good. clean hotel in excellent location in Edmundston fringe just off freeway. Idea for family though we were a couple. Breakfast is basic, serve yourself but they do offer hot items. The parking lot is on an embankment - and dangerous.

« Great location. Very clean. Fun chateau decor. »

Stayed for one night on September 5. Travelling through NB to Montreal. Very clean, modern hotel with a quasi chateau feel. Nice bar on second floor. Special spaces right in front of the lobby to park your motorcycle! Stayed in room 302. First bed not that comfortable. Bed closer to the window was fine. Shower curtain could have used a refresh. Standard issue free breakfast: muffins, eggs, bad coffee, etc. The dining room extends into the lobby for breakfast which is nice, but the serving area bottlenecks as you enter - not good. Very friendly, helpful staff. Try the Casino around the corner for dinner.

    « Edmundston Best western »

Really nice hotel that is very easy to get to. The rooms are very comfortable and can be entered into from the parking lot. The staff are very friendly and professional. The hot tub, pool and fitness room are always a nice way to relax at the end of the day. Very nice lobby and breakfast area

    5
    « Great Hotel »

Stayed here as a stopover on a long trip. The hotel is very modern and clean. It is conveniently located just off the highway and offers a great continental breakfast. The pool and hot tub area were small but very nice.

« Very Impressive! Stop Looking. Stay Here. »

You know what, for a Best Western, this is at the top of the scale. I think I have stayed at every hotel chain imaginable, many times, including Best Western, and this was one of the best. We were looking for a nice, clean place to relax after a long drive from Toronto. I have stayed in just about all the hotels in Edmundston, but this took the cake. Each time we went to book, another hotel was $10 more, and the next hotel was $5 more, and so on. So, we landed on this one at about $140. Last hotel after a 2 month holiday, and could not have been a finer pick. Check-in was smooth, quick, and very friendly and helpful. Thank you ladies. Very large and spacious room with drive up to the glass doors. King bed. Good cable. Wifi. Fitness Room and pool. ANd I just loved the Victorian Style décor. It had a palace feel when you walked around the lobby. Very nice. Large washroom, detached from the bedroom. Fridge. Keurig coffee. Just all around a nice place. There was just nothing negative to say about the staff, service, and accommodations. Will be staying here again (next time arriving a little earlier to enjoy a little more of the amenities). If you are travelers on a budget and do not need to be tended on hand and foot and look for clean and tasteful accommodations, not five star, but trying to be, then this is place. Highly recommend. Will be back!

    2
« nice hotel, awful breakfast »

good location, nice hotel, spacious rooms, quiet; the breakfast area is much too small and horribly laid out. They put the food and trash at the entrance where the room is the narrowest. You have people squeezing in, try to get food and many try to get out. It is so obvious, you wonder that nobody ever thought of changing this. The breakfast food is pretty basic and far below other BW Plus.

    4
« One of the best hotels on our trip »

This was an easy to locate and get to location while traveling. Great parking lot, well lit, easy front entrance, disabled parking (although full) and inexpensive. We literally got the last room on our first night traveling. The couple behind us, offered to rent a bed from us. Rooms were hard to come by in the area that evening. The staff at the front desk were amazingly friendly. The room was a King with a cot added (there were three adults and we had to share due to there being no more rooms). The bed was so fantastic, our sleep was so good, we went online and booked a Best Western in Ottawa based on the accommodations here. The pool and hot tub area was full of kids and was not available for us to use, just to relax. Rooms were clean and sound proof. The cot was not adult sleeping friendly. (Glad I didn't get it!). Breakfast was surprisingly good. Only negative was the entrance to the breakfast room was the same spot you picked up your tray on one side and got your coffee or tossed your garbage on the other side. So, bottle necked a lot. Tossing the garbage out. under the coffee station was problematic also. We enjoyed our stay so much, we booked a night on the way back on our trip.

    4
« Clean, roomy, but breakfast area is just too tight. »

We had the most spacious room ever. The bed is very comfortable which is super good after a long driving from Toronto. But the pool area is crowded, so is the breakfast area. The ladies worked in breakfast area tried to do their best, but the space is just too tight to accommodate the people living in such a big hotel. The management team should think to enlarge it to match the need for a big hotel.

    4
    « Good hotel »

We booked one night at this hotel and arrived late on our arrival at around 10pm. The check in gentleman is very friendly and polite. We asked for a connecting room but hotel gave us 2 rooms side by side which is great. Rooms are clean and bed are comfy, we have a very good sleep after our long drive of the day. Everyone sleep like a log. Morning breakfast is good but not much varieties to choose from. Check out is quick and you will see smiling faces all around. Our impression of this hotel is good!

    5
    « A Great Canadian Hotel »

I was pleasantly surprised when I stayed here because I've had such challenging stays at other places. Once I arrived, I was greeted by the concierge, given a few instructions and then off to my room. The accommodations were comfortable and clean. The room was decent-sized - I had a room with two-beds as it was the only one left and so ample space indeed. There was a microwave (with free popcorn), a fridge and coffee-maker. It may not be in everyone's price range and I, too, am a savvy consumer but this hotel is worth the money spent. The decor is relatively modern and truthfully,I will always prefer kind and respectful staff than expensive-looking furnishings and designs. The room was spacious, clean and everything worked - that's a plus. The place was busy the night I stayed and rightfully so because it is quite the establishment - there is a place for all Canadians and travelers from abroad in this hotel - and you sense that all were enjoying their stay - even the guests were greeting each other in the hallways and elevators. No doubt this place comes highly recommended - in fact, I will be staying there this weekend and probably one more time before month's end. Great Job BWP Edmundston!

    « Nice clean place »

I have stayed here several times. I have never had a bad experience. Very clean. Only wish there was a restaurant inside but at least lots of restaurants near by They are pet friendly too The young children certainly seemed to enjoy the pool

    « Always a pleasure.... »

We returned to stay at this hotel. It has a convenient location. It is close to the highway but still quiet. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The service is wonderful. The front desk employee was a young gentleman who was courteous and helpful. The pool was too busy to enjoy but looked very nice.

« Still love this Best western the most! »

We stayed at this hotel again this year in July, on the 8th and on the 23rd. I wish all hotels smelled this clean . No carpets as I have mentioned before makes a big difference with dust allergies . Being on oxygen, hotels are not my friend, so to speak because of air quality in rooms , I love this hotel, and wish all hotels were carpet free and had windows that opened for better air.

« *The* Place to Stay in Edmundston »

Wow. A modern highway hotel! On our annual trips from Ottawa to the Maritimes we are accustomed to staying at the standard highway motel, the one with the tiny rooms, soft bed, tiny bathroom, tired decor and noisy AC. Not so at the Best Western in Edmundston! The rooms are large, with terrific beds, a huge shower stall, a great large-screen TV and excellent soundproofing. What a great hotel! I wish all highway hotels/motels could be like this!

« Very Clean and Bright! »

I stayed at the Best Western Plus in Edmundston in August 2016. The hotel is ideally located just off the highway and within a short drive to local eating establishments. The hotel is very clean throughout and provides many onsite amenities such as indoor pool with waterslide and a great hotel lounge/bar. The staff were very pleasant and professional (and spoke both English and French without any problem). The hotel offers a breakfast program which was very good. Many of the outer ground floor rooms offer direct access (a door) to the parking lot (much like a motel). I had a upper floor room. The room was clean and the furniture was in great shape without any noticeable issue. I found two "qwerks": 1) the rooms do not have carpet but a sort of linoleum flooring. 2) the shower head (or water pressure in general) provide low water flow. Both of these concerns were minor as overall I had a pleasant stay. The bed was very comfortable and clean; the room's climate control was adjustable to the guest. I would most certainly return to this hotel.

« A wonderful family type of hotel »

Just stayed one night, but the place was amazing! Wonderful clean rooms. Decent breakfast, although the way the room is set up, it creates a bottleneck. Really nice feel to the entire place. Pool area was perfect for families. Location is good.

    « so relaxing »

Very nice hotel and modern. My wife and I were very pleased with this hotel. I felt that everything was upgraded the minute we walked in. It was by far the best Best Western I have stayed in. The staff were very helpful. They could not improve this hotel.

« Best motel in town! »

I really thing for the price, all the amenities for a family and the nice rooms that is the best hotel in town. You need a place to stay in Edmundston, there's the place. Also, they give a really great service.

    « Awesome »

We stayed at the hotel for a night on our way back from the east coast to Toronto. The staff was very friendly and the kids loved the pool and water slide. We arrived very early in the morning and they gave us a room without any issues and without an extra charge. We would return to this hotel again and would totally recommend it to anyone requiring to stay overnight in a hotel in the area.

« Not impressed by breakfast line-up chaos in a very small area »

Boasts all you'd expect in BW amenities with pool, fitness room, and comfy beds, but management shortchanged on the breakfast room area. Have stayed a few times because of its convenience as a travel point stop, but will be considering other lodging in future. As a diabetic, breakfast is an important meal, and though the food choices are acceptable, the volleying for a place to sit and eat it are not. On a previous trip, we gave up trying and grabbed breakfast on the road, which was less than ideal. This last visit, we ended up sitting in two chairs available under the lobby stairway with a small round end table between us. One had to be careful in getting up, for fear of hitting your head. Even with overflow tables set-up in the lobby room, it was hard to watch individual parents leave kids unattended while geting them food in another space. When you compare the lobby size to the breakfast room size, they aim to impress on your arrival, but appear to care less about the area for your departure experience!

    « Just okay »

The location is convenient and it's nice that the rooms don't have carpets, but nothing else is outstanding. Actually skipped the breakfast both mornings we stayed here. The breakfast area is also poorly designed and too small. The smell of chlorine from the pool is quite strong and you can smell it in other parts of the hotel. It would probably appeal more to families with small children. Also found it to be overpriced, but that's probably because it's a popular city to stop in over the summer.

    « Not as expected »

A little disappointing. Too much lobby and not enough breakfast area or pool. Over priced for the lack of amenities around the area. While I like that rooms are not carpeted, it is quite noisy from rooms beside and above.

    5
« Finally a hotel that feels like home »

It's the little things that matter while traveling and this place has them all. A fan in the bathroom along with a shower head with powerful spray; even a heater in there too. Very comfortable beds, extremely quite rooms, 4 pillows on each bed, keurig machine, microwave and bar fridge (no freezer though). Free wifi but it's not a great signal, that's my only complaint.

    4
« Super clean and convenient location »

I have to say that I was a little confused by the eclectic decor mix throughout the hotel but what a pleasant surprise to see that the rooms have a more simple and modern look :) The double room we slept in was spacious, comfortable and very, very, very clean. We had a drink at the bar before dinner and the staff was friendly and passionate about recommending local beers. Breakfast could definitely be improved, the service area is very cramped and the products offered are so so. We felt the need to grab a "real" coffee and a muffin at Presse Café afterwards. There isn't a lot of dinner options in Edmundston, apart from the usual American chain restaurants. If you are a foodie, do some research first!

    3
« Will try somewhere else next time »

First the pros: good location right off the highway, clean, pleasant staff, like the lack of carpets Sadly a number of issues: beds hard and uncomfortable, poor climate control in room, the pool is more like a puddle to have a kids water slide land in than an actual pool (disappointing), breakfast mediocre We will try a different place next time.

    4
« Clean, convenient and good value »

This was our first time staying at this hotel and we were not disappointed. The room we booked had two queen beds, was very large with plenty of space, well equipped with a fridge, coffee maker and small microwave. I especially liked that the floor was not carpeted and was very clean. The location of the hotel is very convenient from the Trans Canada, and to restaurants. The breakfast, which is included in the rate, had several options and coffee and tea was available at all times. It was also nice to have a small bar in the hotel that is open most nights until 11pm. Overall it was one of the best choices in Edmundston.

    4
« Very nice, but request the top floor »

Great hotel for staying along the way, and staff are awesome. The only issue we have encountered on a recurring basis is noise transfer from rooms above. The floors have some sort of hard covering (linoleum or similar) rather than carpet. While that's great for cleanliness and allergies, it also transfers much more noise from the room above as people walk across the floor, etc. During our most recent visit, it sounded as though there was a family with young children above us; hard to tell. In any case, we were trying to get to sleep on the early side, but the pounding continued until at least 11:30pm. So ask for a room on the top floor, and you shouldn't have that issue. We've stayed here a few times, but always end up leaving in the morning before breakfast is served, so I can't comment on that.

    4
    « Great »

Great stop between Halifax and Toronto. Staff were nice, pool area was great. Rooms were excellent. Spacious and very clean. There is a nice bar on the second floor that serves beers from the local craft brewery. Lobby area is very nice but I have to agree with another reviewer - the breakfast area is very cramped. Food is good but space is too limited. Despite that, we'd definitely stay here again. Ample parking, even for RVs and trailers.

    « A pit stop in a strip mall »

This is a very cheaply built hotel made to look very nice. Just pray you don`t have folks on the floor above you waking up early, because you will hear everything. The free breakfast is embarrassing. The server (singular) is grumpy because the breakfast area is like a hallway. Your choices for nearby restaurants in this far-from-charming pulp-mill town include any fast food you might find next to any highway gas station anywhere in north america.... and nothing else. I have been here twice and BOTH times the thermostat did not work, leaving half of my night in extreme heat, and the other half freezing cold. This hotel is a terrible place to stay...... because this WHOLE TOWN is a terrible place to stay. Do not be fooled by the appearance of culture in the form of old buildings as you drive through. THIS Best Western, and the town of Edmundston itself, are worth driving right on by. ....The waterslide and pool area are not worth the stop. Having found all of the charm of camping in a Walmart parking lot, I will not be staying anywhere near Edmundston EVER again. THIS Best Western is not worth even HALF of what they charge for their rooms... mostly because of their cheaply built hotel and their location in fast food hell. THIS best western SUCKS... and so does the location they built it on.... Very sorry I paid to stay there. Never again.

« Only one stay but great spot! »

This was a one night stop over on our trip and what a great choice. Friendly staff, clean room and wonderful choice for the included breakfast. The indoor pool and hot tub were very popular with the kids as the pool had a neat slide. If we were coming through here again, or staying in the area, this would be our choice!

    4
« Great location and fun pool area »

What a great location just off the highway but feels like a world away. Very private setting with great views of Edmunston. Fun pool area for kids and adults with a slide and hot-tub. Eclectic decor mix throughout the hotel. Looking forward to breakfast!

« Great room but lacking space in breakfast facility »

Friendly staff, but hard to find a parking spot! Looked like a great pool area that families were enjoying, and a fitness area on 2nd floor, but never used either. Enjoyed the comfortable queen beds and pillows in a spacious room with lots of storage options and cool working A/C unit. The late-night sound of footsteps on the floor above us would not have been appreciated by light sleepers. Loved the wall-mounted TV, fridge, microwave, coffee-maker, and table with 2 chairs for our order-in meal from a restaurant nearby. Have stayed here before, but the same problem still exists...an overcrowded and poorly arranged breakfast area. Plastic cutlery hidden behind a glass pitcher of milk that had to be moved to access them with narrow entranceway that hindered movement in and out. We ended up in the lobby overflow space sitting in 2 chairs under a stairway overhang to eat our food, but it was better for us as seniors than for the parents trying to feed their young children at a nearby table set up in the lobby and running back and forth to the food room. Hotel needs to rethink breakfast space versus lobby space as guest impression will not be favourable on the comparisons! I know we'll rethink staying here again.

    « Excellent hotel!! »

This was our 2nd stop on a 13 day road trip across Canada to the arctic. We are driving with a large dog so finding pet friendly accommodations has been difficult. This hotel was very accommodating to our dog and perfect for us. Offering a VERY clean, very modern room with a nice patio door to the back area so we could take the dog in/out easily. I was very impressed with our stay and can only hope the rest of our hotels come close to this one!

    5
« This place is awesome... »

Edmunston has always been a stop on our road trips and this Bestwestern has hosted us a few times :) This time we had room 419, it is newly renovated and quite extraordinary...the bathroom was clean and the shower excellent. The show stealer is their mattress selection...best sleep ever....I meant to take a picture of the manufacturer of the mattress. I slept too late to partake in the breakfast so I can't comment on that...easy check in and out...will definitely repeat... P.S. The hotel is close to everything...food, fuel, and even the Hospital :)

« Damnnnnnnnnn the suite is nice!!! »

I felt like a Rock star :-) , room was amazing, view was nice, very modern, loads of room. Everything was renovated, looked brand new. Lots of food options around the area and the swimming pool has a three tier slide :-)

    « Nice!! »

Before we were travelling to our next stop, Quebec City, we stayed one night in Edmunston. Arrived we had a warm welcome as the building itself is really beautiful, both the interior and exterior. The staff was friendly, the hotel clean everything was allright! The room had everything what we wanted: fridge, microwave, good shower etc. The laundry was also not that far away from our room! Breakfast was crowdy but still we enjoyed! IN SHORT + Mom said: most of the hotels offer really thick blankets, nevertheless this hotel had already thin blankets on the beds as it's summer + Healthy (lots of fruit) and good breakfast! + Fitness room and swimming pool + Clean + Nice staff + Plenty of parking places + Good fan in the bathroom - there was one channel on tv that didn't work properly, maybe it has to do with the satellite.

    4
    « Great, Clean rooms »

We have stayed in a few Best Western Hotels but with all of them, we only stayed for one night. This particular hotel was great and had extremely clean rooms. The view from each room was delightful. Loved that the hotel wasn't very busy and definitely a great place to stay for families.

    4
    « Good stay but.......... »

This hotel has easy access form the Trans Canada Highway. Our room was very clean with a comfortable queen size bed and A/C that worked well in the 30C temps. Front staff handled the rush of clients with ease and the breakfast staff maintained a clean and well stocked dining area. On site bar is a nice touch. Only negative was the elevator broke down, as a result we had to carry luggage up and down 3 flights of stairs. Talking to another person that stays there often, it seems to be a regular occurrence. Manager wouldn't even comp us a drink in the bar for this inconvenience.

    5
    « Great, reliable hotel »

Super clean rooms, very accessible from highway, near restaurants on the other side of the highway, helpful & friendly staff. The pool is a big plus if you're travelling with kids, as we were - hot tub, waterslide, nifty mushroom-shaped shower/waterfall.

    5
« Wonderful and extremely clean »

The hotel is very clean. The beds were very comfortable. It rates lime a 5 star hotel. Employees were helpful and friendly, we highly recommend this hotel. A clean place to stay is ultra important and I was not disappointed. Great breakfast also.

    5
« Best Best Western Yet »

Have stayed at many different Best Westerns and love them all. However, Edmundson is in a class all of its own. Lovely setting on the hill and decorated quite elegantly. Rooms large and very comfortable. Decor clean and modern. Service fabulous as always.

« Beauitful Hotel and Friendly Staff »

The hotel was very lovely and the lobby had antique furniture and decor which I loved. The staff was also very kind and helpful. Our room was very clean and cozy. The location was perfect, it was walking distance to restaurants and right next to the trans canada highway. We had a great time here!

    5
« Excellent Hotel and Staff »

High quality Hotel. Fast Internet. Staff professionally dressed and very helpful. Would stay here again. Highly recommend. This was the best hotel on our 11 day trip to PEI. The quality of furnishings and building of hotel was excellent. Internet was fast for business use.

    4
« Nice place to stay!! »

Clean rooms, nice staff. Very helpful. Good location, this hotel had been recommended to us and I'm glad we went there, it was a long trip and was very nice to go and relax in a clean room. The Boston Pizza nearby was actually pretty good for a Boston Pizza, if you like that sort of restaurant.

    5
« Great value for Northern NB Hotel »

I chose this hotel because it is easy to get into and out of via the trans canada highway. I was doing business in the area and it seemed a great value for the area. I would consider this hotel for a family stay as well as it seemed to have a nice pool area and gym

    4
    « Busy hotel »

Good hotel .Stayed here twice. First time elevator broken so we got a room on the ground floor with access to your car.Asked for the same on our return visit.Swimming pool and hot tub. Great for kids gets very busy in the evening we swam mid afternoon .Good breakfast . Friendly staff.

« Trip to East Coast »

While travelling to the east coast to visit our grandchildren we spent one night at the Best Western Plus Edmundston Hotel. It was a nice property in a good location and easy to find. Our room had two queen beds, which were very comfortable, and was clean. Nice feature to offer a microwave for popcorn, coffee and tea and a small refrigerator. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast room was small and the hotel was very busy but they put extra tables in the front lobby to help with the demand. Typical breakfast but okay, did not leave hungry. They have a nice cozy bar upstairs. The pool looked nice with the slide and an area for small children. The children we talked to had lots of fun and so did the parents. Overall a good experience and would stay again.

    5
    « Wow! »

All I can say is WOW! This is one of the nicest BWP we have encountered on our travels. First impression was a very European vibe. It has a gorgeous lobby with a grand staircase, and fireplace. Rooms on the first floor have access from the interior hallway, or to outside through sliding doors. Very well layed out parking lot, as well. In addition to great quality, and clean rooms, there is a bar area located above the entrance. Was only open until 11, but gave us a half hour to unwind while the kids ate the complimentary popcorn in the room. First impression of the pool area was a great one, but it was packed...as expected with a slide, a hot tub and kiddie area. My only complaint was that while all these things are amazing, the actual pool itself is far too small, and really nothing more than a catch basin for the slide. While my 8-yr old couldn't get enough of the slide, my 12-yr old and husband enjoying swimming, so this wasn't for them. I would definitely recommend this to anyone travelling with kids.

    4
« Right off the hiway - fast on/off acces »

The bottom floor has drive up rooms In this hotel all the rooms have vinyl flooring, no carpets. A positive for those with alergys. One negative about the hotel is heavy chlorine smell from the pool that permeates the lobby and the breakfast area. The breakfast is a pretty standard hotel inclusive breakfast.

    3
« First bad experience here... »

We have stayed at this location on multiple occasions and this is the first time we have had a somewhat bad experience. The staff at the front counter was rude during check-in. The breakfast was in total disarray. Garbage's were full, they were out of some items, just an overall unfulfilling breakfast experience. I understand it was fairly busy, but the staff appeared to be doing nothing to keep up with things.

    « east coast trip »

Stay was much better then the first time staying there 7 yrs before. Rooms have No carpeting which is good for people with allergies. Very clean. Morning staff very helpful help us get our coffee and tea for the road.Would stay again.

« Everything was fine, just pricey »

Like the title said everything was fine but at over $200 it was expensive. Room was clean and everything worked. We were on the 4th floor which was a little inconvenient since we had a dog and there was no ice machine on our floor. Breakfast was good, more than your standard continental breakfast.

    4
« Road trip into Edmunston »

This Hotel located just off the Highway in strange way is a delicious gem. The actual building is on a hill/peak and is impressive at first view. The friendly staff enhances the City's overall small town charm. The rooms are clean and parking not an issue. We stayed in a first floor suite and met guest from all over with out being intrusive. The washroom are big spacious for family's .

    5
    « Another great stay »

Book in advance as this place fills up and gets quite expensive. The beds are very comfy, there's a fun pool/hot tub, it's close to the highway, it's close to restaurants... What more could you want in a stop over hotel?!?

    4
    « NL Traveller »

We stayed at the Best Western by accident. I booked online months in advance of a vacation trip and thought I booked at the Comfort Inn (where I had stayed on a previous trip) The staff were very friendly. I was quite surprised that our room did not have any carpeting and not sure if it was because we travelled with pets. I found the floors a little cold. The room was spacious and clean. The only thing I wish was different was the pool. This facility had a pool that is too small for the size of facility. The time that the pool is open is unfair to adults with no children. The pool is small and the hot tub was full of children. I paid for a facility that had this feature and I couldn't use it.

    5
« Perfect stop on the way to and from the East Coast »

We stayed here on our way to the East Coast and again on our way home. Everything was perfect. It is just off the highway close to all conveniences. The room was renovated, spacious and very clean. The lobby and amenities at the hotel were modern and clean. The included breakfast offered hot eggs, meat, waffles, cold cereal, juice, coffee, tea...... everything you would want. We wouldn't stay anywhere else on our way to and from the East Coast.

    5
« Best Hotel in Edmondston »

Great place to stay, $200/night. There's a small pool with a cute little water slide which is pretty sketchy, and a hot tub. The downside is it makes they halls all smell like chlorine but the rooms smell fine. There is also a gym and free breakfast, and a nice view of Edmondston if you're on the front side on the building. Overall the best you're going to get in Edmondston.

    2
« Noisy and paper thin walls! »

Stayed on 2nd floor...not by choice. The people above me must have had boots on...they never stopped banging around the floor. Then there is the paper thin walls issue. And the noise in the hallway. If you need rest for driving, this is not the place to go.

    3
    « A Fine Stopover »

We booked this hotel as an intermediary stop between Toronto and PEI. All we needed was a place to lay our heads and for the kids to have fun in the pool. The young lady at check-in was very blasé. Did her job checking us in, but was far from warm and inviting. She did not ask me how I was or where I was coming from. She barely acknowledged me when I asked questions about the hotel. The room was completely adequate, but we were disappointed in the channel selection on the TV. There wasn't one channel devoted to children under 6. The hotel pool was extremely small and so full of chlorine that my eyes watered just sitting and watching my children. The water slide was super fun for the kids, when it was working. When it stopped working, the front staff gave us a recycling bucket to fill up with water and woosh it down the slide before attempting to head down. The morning breakfast was also adequate, but awkward. The set-up was not conducive to a smooth gathering of food. Total gridlock at the beginning of the line where the coffee and cereal were kept. Just one week later, when we tried to book a room for our return trip, we were asked to call back five minutes later as the receptionist was busy helping another customer. When we called back, no one answered. So, we ended up booking elsewhere. More attention to detail is needed at this hotel.

    « Nice little Hotel »

Making the trek from S/E Ontario to Moncton. This is a great place to stop along the way and recharge. This was our first stay here and we were pleased. It close to the highway, and reasonable priced.

    « The BEST »

Our stay was a little different than usual. Last time we stayed here, the room was less than acceptable. We filled out a comment card and to our surprise, the manager contacted us and offered us 50% off our next stay. When I called to book, I was again surprised that the discount was going to be offered. Afterall, that particular stay was in 2011, 5 years ago. I was floored. The manager took our reservations and the room we received was beyond all expectations. We couldn't have asked for a better stay. We will always stay at the BW hotel whenever we are travelling through Edmundston. Might not be for another 5 years, but for sure we'll be there. Thank you again for such wonderful service and consideration. It is appreciated more than you'll ever know.

    « Traveling through... »

Very convenient stopover heading out to PEI for a holiday. Kids loved the pool and hot tub. Friendly service, and very clean. Busy spot for breakfast but hotel set-up extra tables which was helpful. Plan to return on the trip back and again next year.

    « Satisfied »

Very good hotel, but the pool is tiny. It's really just water for the slide. This is unfortunate and misleading. Hotel should specify. Breakfast is decent. It's the best hotel in the area, and the location is just off the highway.

    3
« A little nicer than surrounding hotels, with a higher price tag »

This is a very nice hotel, a large building, with tile floors in the room, which I like very much. It sits on a hill overlooking the city, and is near the highway. There is a lounge on the second floor but there is no ramp to the lounge....several stairs. The rooms are spacious and there was the first walk in shower we have had in seven nights (excepting the ferry) but no shower chair, which made me take off a star. However, I took a chair from the pool (which was very busy) and it will serve, as the front desk was unable to come up with one. It is a little more expensive than the Comfort Inn, but the ambiance is up market. Free parking, an elevator, and free wifi.

Since I was using my aeroplane miles, I did not expect much from it and was pleasantly surprised of the hotel and the cleanliness. I would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to friends. The breakfast was complete

« Great spot to stop to rest while travelling. »

I love stopping here in my travels for many reasons... Close proximity to the highway (not so close that you can hear the highway tho), pet friendly, quiet, very clean, friendly staff, comfortable beds, pool, lots of parking, interesting lobby and they send you off with a great little breakfast. I tend to travel solo when I stay here and I've always felt safe. Lots of lighting in the parking lot is very much appreciated. Bonus!! Free microwave popcorn in your room for a snack!

    « Won't be staying again... »

Hiring of staff that change bed sheets. When going to bed my family and I found a pair of men's underwear in our bed. Addressed it with management and they changed the sheets and gave me 50 % off my room but it still does not satisfy me. This is unacceptable, and should have been given way more in compensation....men's underwear in my kids bed. Obviously beds were not made, and room not taken care of properly. Excuse was that they hired new people for the summer..not my problem. Will not be staying in a Best Western anytime soon....

    « Excellent sleep. »

Spent a night in the Edmunston Best Western recently in a floor level room on a road trip and was very happy. We parked right outside our room, we had a very comfortable bed I didn't want to get out of in the morning, a yummy hot breakfast in the morning before hitting the road again and friendly staff. The room came with a fridge and microwave which was really handy and although we didn't get a chance to try it, the spiral water slide looked amazing. Would stay there again and will recommend it to others.

    « Beautiful hotel...but! »

A one-night stay booked online well in advance of our trip. But arrived to have front desk having trouble finding our reservation. Finally, he found it because we had our printed confirmation with number as well as room rate. Honestly, with the uncertainty of the receptionist at front desk, we were not sure we were going to have a room or the confirmed rate. But hotel is beautiful, only a few years old, in a great location, not far from the centre of town. We would book here again...but please make sure when you leave home, you have your confirmation in hand. We noticed the people checking in next to usalso had the same problem.

« Nice place to stay with an awesome pool for kids »

Nice place to stay with family if you need to stop in Edmunston. My kids really enjoyed the pool. The room was nice and clean. A few drawbacks : we got stuck in the elevator for 5min going up to our room when we arrived which freaked out my wife and kids. Secondly, the food selection at breakfast was pretty poor.

    5
« Excellent stop over point »

Even though I only stayed one night enroute to Sydney NS, the staff were all very polite and professional. The property was very clean and well kept. Breakfast was excellent. I have stopped at this property on a few trips to the Maritimes. I'm sure it will be part of any future itinerary, to or from the Maritimes.

    « Pet friendly »

Thanks for a great night - we arrived during a thunderstorm and our dog was quite stressed. The room is clean and comfortable and as a dog owner I'm so impressed that there is no carpet! I'm sure it's easier to keep clean especially when you accept dogs coming in from the pouring rain!

« An excellent place to stop. »

We were travelling to Nova Scotia and needed a hotel to stay overnight in Edmunston. We found this hotel excellent. Very modern, clean and friendly staff. A great hot breakfast as well. Nice and quiet with no highway noise. Close to the trans-canada Hwy.

    « A Nice Family stop »

Our stay at the Best Western was excellent. We arrived after a long drive and were met by a very friendly staff; check in was quick, check out was quicker and I was emailed my receipt. The room was spacious with two queen sized beds and was very clean. Everything was so nice we stayed there on our return trip.

The location of this hotel is just off the highway thus very convenient for an overnight stop. It's also convenient is you need to visit the hospital which is just across the street. The grounds are very well kept and the area allows for a nice and relaxed walk in the early morning or evening which is great when you have a dog. Lots of free parking is available. Staff are extremely polite and welcoming, bilingual. My room was very spacious, clean and had everything I needed. The amenities, shampoo, conditioner, soap, shoe shine and shower cap were in the basket waiting to be used. The shower/bath had great water pressure! Lots of towels. There's a hair dryer readily available. The king size bed was extremely comfortable, lots of pillows to choose from - my sleep was solid for 7 hours, very unusual for me. It was quiet even though the hotel was quite full. My ground floor room was extremely convenient with my car just outside the sliding glass doors - love this. Breakfast is available from 6am and it is best to arrive early otherwise the selections become limited. Eggs, bacon, sausage, yogurt, fresh fruit, waffles, maple syrup, bagels, bread/toast, cereal, juice, muffins, coffee and tea. There is an indoor pool close to the check-in area but I have never gone in... usually filled with children but have not noticed any substantial increase in the noise level. Overall, I'm extremely happy with this property.

    « Great value »

This hotel should be rated as "PREMIUM". Large hardwood floored rooms with quality finishings. Lobby is almost spectacular for a small town hotel. Amenities are great and the breakfast area is spacious and comfortable. Price was surprisingly low given the quality of this hotel.

« Just a layover for one night but a great night! »

My wife and I stayed here twice but only one night at a time but what a great night we had. We arrived late in the evening and were awe struck when we first walked in to check in. The decor is amazing and it was wonderful to see all the various added personal touches throughout the hotel. "Antiques" and "art" all over the place! OK, I found the electric controls on the 'antique' wood stove so I wasn't fooled but still enjoyed the intent :) Incidentally, the trip home we stayed here again after the Liverpool, Nova Scotia Best Western (where we stayed for almost a week) desk helped make our return reservation - went off without a hitch and made our week long vacation even better, thanks everyone!

« good place to stay »

we stop in Edmundston each year as we travel to the east coast. The last 2 years we have stay at the Best Western and have found it to be everything we need. It is located right off the highway. We travel with a dog and the surroundings are great for taking her for a walk. The rooms are a good size and the beds are comfortable. They have a good breakfast. friendly personnel...

« Very modern and clean. »

Modern, clean, quiet, and green-friendly. I have stayed over 1,000 nights in hotels due to a prior post that was 95% travel. This hotel is more like a 3.5 *, despite its curiously low 2.5 * rating. Perhaps it is because there is no restaurant (besides for the included breakfast).

    « Beautiful place »

This Hotel is by far my favorite place to stay when traveling it has a wonderful cathedral entrance and is always very clean and welcoming. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They always do what ever they can to make sure your stay is comfortable. I look forward to my stay at the Best Western in Edmundston every time I go on the road for work. It really is a nice place to stay and has great prices as well.

« Excellent hotel in great location! »

This was a clean fairly new property. It's great that they accept pets. I like that they don't have carpet in the rooms. Breakfast was hot and had lots of choices, (eggs, saussages, breads and pastries, cereals and juice/coffee). Beds are comfortable with lots of pillows.

« Good place to stay »

We have stayed at this hotel many times and look forward to staying here when traveling through northern New Brunswick. We have found the rooms to be consistently very clean, comfortable and offering all of the amenities we need. We particularly like the hard surface flooring not carpeting. The lobby is beautiful. The staff are generally friendly and accommodating although we did find the front desk clerk when we checked in this time to be rather "robotic" in his greeting - giving everyone the same monotone greeting and explanation of services. The morning clerk was much better. The hot breakfast was good although the scrambled eggs were rubbery and unappetizing to look at. We would recommend this hotel and would most likely stay here again.

    « Beautiful Hotel »

The exterior of the hotel, lobby and bedrooms were beautiful. The room was very quiet and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly. Had a great assortment of breakfast items that all looked good except the eggs and sausage.

« OK Hotel, Very Bad Experience, Had Items Stolen »

The hotel was OK, our experience overall was very bad. We had some items taken while packing up early the morning we left. We were just 20' or so out of the front door. Someone took my daughters bag that had her laptop, iPad, and wallet with all her ID. In all the packing and it being a bit dark, we never discovered it was missing til after we had been driving a couple hours. The hotel offered little support. Her bag was dumped 2 hours in the other direction, a Good Samaritan found her bag with ID but no laptop or iPad. They quickly looked her up and called us. Thankfully this kind person mailed her the ID back so somewhat of a happy ending. I called and emailed the hotel asking for any video footage and other information that would lead to the recovery of the other items as the person who took it must have checked out right after us. They could have easily narrowed it down but I got no response. The hotel room itself was OK, a bit dated. The breakfast was enough to get you going but nothing special. If nothing had been stolen I would have given this hotel an average review. The fact I received no follow up to our loss is poor customer service so rated them "poor".

« Good choice for a road trip stop »

Edmunston is a good stopping point between the Maritime provinces and the rest of Canada. This hotel is right off a highway exit and close to several chain restaurants, shopping and a casino. We stayed here twice on a recent trip to and from Quebec. ROOMS: The rooms are large and clean and include a fridge and microwave (the free bag of microwave popcorn is a thoughtful touch). We didn't hear any hallway or outside noise but we did hear every step in the room above, so ask for the top floor if possible. The beds were reasonably comfortable but the bottom sheets on the king beds were not wide enough to tuck under the sides of the mattress, so they bunched up at night. They should definitely switch to fitted sheets. POOL: The pool was only open from 10 am to 10 pm, which is not much good for people who enjoy an early morning swim. It was also very small (about the size of 2-3 large hot tubs). Kids will probably like it since it has a waterslide but not much good for adults. BREAKFAST: Not great, but free. You'll find enough to eat but it won't be the highlight of your trip. As mentioned before, the layout of the breakfast room is bad. There seems to be adequate seating but even a couple of people can cause a bottleneck at the entrance. Perhaps they could move the coffee maker into the lobby where the computer is or better use the 3 feet of counter space that is solely dedicated to buttering toast (which customers could do at their table)

« First Choice in Edmundston »

Edmundston is a logical stopover when driving between Ottawa and Canada's East Coast. There are a number of hotel chains to choose from in Edmundston, The Best Western Plus is our number one choice for convenience and service, with clean, quiet rooms.

We arrived late at night in a thunderstorm without a prior booking and were treated like family. After a good nights sleep we grabbed a light breakfast and being fully rested continued with our journey to Oromocto NB.

    « Disappointed »

Small town hotel but not up to standards of other Best Western Plus Hotels. Needs upgrading and some form of noise control in hallways and between floors. Not much to choose from in Edmundston but it served the purpose.

    4
« Best Western Plus Hotel Edmonton NB »

We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions when traveling to Nova Scotia and have been satisfied every time. Staff are friendly and helpful. The only disadvantage is the lack of a restaurant within walking distance.

« Great hotel & bar, bad breakfast »

The Best Western is a clean, well kept hotel with a good staff. I was able to check in last minute around midnight on a Friday. The bartender was funny and friendly and I had a great sleep. My only disappointment was the breakfast. If it wasn't free, I'd demand my money back. In fact, I'd rather pay an overpriced tab for a good breakfast than eat this free breakfast.

    5
    « Very comfortable stay »

We enjoyed our recent one night away for the grind. Room was excellent, had a screen door for fresh air. Great shower and hot water was consistent. They left a tub mat which I appreciates. Evertythig was very well maintained. Maryse in the Lounge was a wealth of information of things to do and very sociable. The Lounge has a great view of the City and outdoor seating as well. Can't wait to get away again.

    « Edmundston Best Western »

This is an excellent hotel, fairly new, very nice. Stayed there going to PEI and coming back. Staff was very informative & helpful. Very good value compared to other hotels we stayed in, actually the best. Would definitely stay there again.

    « Best Western Edmundston »

-very clean rooms -pool area is great for kids, has a big slide -hot tub for the parents -always fresh coffee and juice available all day and night -the hotel was beautiful on the inside with lots of really nice antiques -bed was super comfortable and the mattress was clean

    5
« Good Value hotel stay »

Great stay - staff genuinely friendly and helpful. Hot breakfast is part of the "plus". Easy and quick access from highway though no highway noise. The pool looks very welcoming and am sure kids would have loads of fun.

« New, clean sparking hotel. »

We had stopped somewhere else on the way through town the first time, which was OK, but in the category of small chain hotels, this place was perfect. Newly built (7/15). clean, comfortable and quiet place. Some rooms with patio where you can bring your luggage through. Has an unusual (for BW) little bar with a surprising list of drinks.

    « Awesome »

This was the last stay on our road trip from Alberta to Nova Scotia. We were getting tired of driving and in great need of a relaxing night. Staff were great as we checked in with our pet. First impression of the hotel was fantastic. Very classy. Would recommend this hotel to anyone on their travels.

    « Great Stay »

I was very impressed with the Hotel overall from the time you first stepped into the lobby which was well appointed to the rooms which were very clean and comfortable, and the Breakfast in the morning which was excellent, with many choices for everyone's taste. I will definitely visit again.

    « Pleasant stay »

The hockey team my grandson (11) plays on stayed at this Hotel and found it to be excellent. Boys were able to play road hockey and ball in the back parking lot. We also had a big BBQ with all the parents, grandparents, and boys. Great experience.

    5
« Very good chain of Hotels »

You consistently get great service, excellent breakfast and reasonably priced. Not only that there are so many Best Western hotels pretty well every where you go so no problem getting a nice hotel, with comfortable beds, clean rooms almost anywhere!

« Right off the Trans Canada »

Stayed here upon the recommendation of family as the hotel is very pet friendly. This hotel was clean, although our room seemed very dated and bedding old (Ground Floor) it was nice to be able to park in front of the patio door, made for easy unloading/loading of the car and taking the dog outside. The pool, slide and hot tub were great and the included breakfast provided numerous different options. The price seemed a little steep for a mid week stay during off season, but there weren't to many other options in the area for a last minute stay enroute home. Not sure if we'd stay here again.

    3
    « Average »

Pool was great. Lounge was ... odd but the bartender was interesting, competent, and friendly. Recumbent bike did not work and the eliptical squealed. Mostly tourists stay here. Breakfast was so-so but, again, mostly tourists stay here so they are not aiming at business people who virtually live there.

    3
« Average and over priced »

Hotel was clean, staff very friendly. Close to Trans Canada. Lots to offer as far as facilities go. Close to drug store and restaurant. Beds uncomfortable and price point too high. May stay there again but not likely.

    5
« Very clean. Right on the highway. »

This hotel was chosen because it was right on the highway and we didn't want to loose too much time. The room was very clean. Every thing looked like new. The service was very professional. The included breakfast was very good with lots of options. Check-in and check-out were very fast. It was a very good value.

    « Disappointed »

Hotel lobby very nice but that's where it stops. Rooms old, small, walls paper thin. Book this hotel on line BIG MISTAKE. There were 5 of us - 2 adults and 3 teenagers. They put us in a room with only 2 queen beds. On line we told them the ages of our kids but there was nothing to say they couldn't accommodate us comfortably. We arrived at 6 p.m. to find out we would have to pay extra for a cot. We ordered one but by 11:00 p.m. no cot came so we went to the front desk. He advised us that he was working alone so couldn't tell us earlier that there were none left. We were furious as it was way too late to find another hotel. The desk clerk provided us with blankets and a pillow for my son to sleep on the FLOOR. UNACCEPTABLE!! But we had no choice but to stay.

    5
« Nice, short and sweet! »

Good hotel. Parking is large enough. Reception is easy to access. Elevator is just next to reception, in the center of hotel. Room are clean. Internet is fast (I watch an entire 1 hour live tv program with no lag). No, it's simply a nice and sweet hotel!

    5
    « Great for Families »

Large size rooms with separate "foyer", bathroom area. If quiet space is needed, the top floor is excellent. The pool and slide are fun for children too, but the hotel is classy enough and easily accessible from the highway so is excellent for business travel as well.

New hotel. Really nice decor in the lobby. Friendly staff. King room is exactly as the picture. Spacious. In room Keurig machine. We were driving on a snowy day and needed to get off the highway, it is in a convenient location. Breakfast is included in the booking fee. The room is quiet but I don't think anyone else is in our hallway wing. Overall good value.

    « You won't be disappointed »

We stayed there for 3 nights as a family with 2 children while in town for a sporting event. The hotel is beautiful, clean and modern. Breakfast was good each morning with a nice selection. Kids loved the water slide (although the pool itself was a little small) The staff here were friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and looking forward to our next visit.

Always a nice stop over when traveling. A newer hotel with a large and spacious front reception area. Front staff have always been courteous. Room are spacious and clean. A smaller breakfast sitting area but still a great value. Nice place for kids with their pool and slide.

    « Perfect Halfway Spot »

We stay here at least once per year on our way to PEI. Its the perfect halfway stop and the hot tub is most accommodating after a long drive. The breakfast is the perfect way to start the day with lots of hot and cold items. Its very location is perfect just off the highway - with little to no noise even with its close proximity to the hospital. The staff is very polite and help in anyway they can. Bathrooms are clean and neat with plenty of towels. Beds are perfect and I can pull right up to the door - so if I forget anyting in the van I can pop out easily. The kids love the pool and the slide.

« Wonderful one night stay. »

We stayed here overnight for one night on our way to Nova Scotia just before Christmas. We stayed in a suite, which more than comfortably slept our 3 children, 2 adults and one dog. The hotel is easy to locate, just off the highway. Rooms and common areas are very well maintained. A hot breakfast is served in the morning. Staff were amazing! Thanks, we had a great stay.

    2
    « Disappointing »

Seemed to be virtually no sound proofing between rooms. Very noisy. Bed was also rather uncomfortable - the mattress sagged. Hairdryer was all but useless. I left the hotel in December with wet hair. Disappointing and surprising for a hotel of this rating and price. Won't return. I've stayed at older, cheaper places in edmundston and had a better experience.

    5
    « Great Place! »

We (3 adults) were travelling over Christmas & stayed here on our way to Quebec as well as on our way back home to NS. The place is great. It's easy to find (even in a snow storm). The front desk staff are friendly and efficient (even when they're busy). The lobby was very tastefully decorated for the holidays - very inviting. And the rooms were lovely - nice & clean, comfy beds, a great shower, a microwave & mini-fridge. Really, everything you might want. The only negative was the pool. Not much larger than a puddle. There's a nice looking water slide but that's it. Once one or two kids get in there, it's full. But, other than that, everything's good. Only $125 for the three of us & that included breakfast. So great value, as well.

Like the title says it was a great stay as it always is at the Best Western. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the room was spotless as usual. I would recommend this hotel to any one staying in the Edmundston area. The lobby is very nice especially around Christmas

Not only is the location and hotel itself fantastic, but the staff at this Best Western Plus really make the experience a pleasant and comfortable one. They go above and beyond! If I were to ever go through Edmundston again, I would definitely stay here again! The rooms are spacious and clean, and the ground floor rooms provide easy access to your vehicle.

Stayed one night while driving back home. Clean hotel and friendly staff. Indoor pool and gym. Breakfast was scrambled eggs, sausage, beans, cereals, etc. Bed was very uncomfortable and updated bedding would be appreciated,as well as an extra blanket. Tiled floor in bedroom.

    « Great hotel »

We stayed here on our way to Ontario. I was very impressed with how nice the lobby is. The room was a double queen on the 2nd floor, it was also nice. There is a fridge and a microwave in the room also some popcorn and coffee....I thought the popcorn was thoughtful. It's dog friendly at no extra charge, it's very clean and they offer a full, free breakfast. I would stay there again in a heart beat.

The motel was Clean, close to work and easy to find, comfortable, great parking, friendly personnel, available breakfast. I would had like to have a restaurant inside the motel or a bar which was not available.

« Right location for taking a break »

The hotel is off the Trans Canada Highway/NB 2. After long driving, it offered us a good resting place. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Double window protected against outside noise. The morning breakfast supplied fresh whole banana, it was a little good surprise after traveling several days and eating restaurant food only.

« Great place to stop »

Well located, excellant staff, clean rooms and well kept. Breakfast while hot could handle a few more options but still better than most. I recommend that if you need to stop in this City or passing by to stop you will feel confortable. For those with kids the pool will pleased them

    « Pleasant Stay »

My husband and I were on a trip from western Canada to eastern Canada, we stayed in Edmundston only because it was convenient for our travels east that day. If and when we drive east again we will be sure to stay in Edmundston and stay at this hotel. Driving up to the building you feel as though you are driving up to an old castle converted to a modern hotel. The entire establishment is full of neat pieces of art an decor. There are not carpets in the rooms and this may be because it is pet friendly. The breakfast area is super crowded and so poorly planned out; the line is right at the entrance and there are hardly enough seats for the amount of rooms the hotel has. Other then that it was a great stay.

« Allround great place to stay for a reasonable price in Northern New Brunswick »

Very well kept property, clean comfortable rooms and impressively decorated lobby. The room was spacious and included a microwave, small refrigerator and some ground floor units have patio doors to parking area which allowed for quick access to your vehicle for unloading luggage, etc. I will definitely plan future stays at this hotel when travelling in the area for business or pleasure.

    5
« Great Place to Stay »

This was a great place for weary travelers. The outside is in grand style castle. The rooms were clean and the staff was exceptional. The front desk immediately changed from French to perfect English. I have spent a great deal more for a lot less. Very good.

    5
« suites are spacious and well appointed »

we did not make a reservation and the hotel was almost fully booked so we had to take a one bedroom suite at $175 per night. A little rich for our taste but we had no options. When we entered the room we understood why the price, very modern with a full kitchen, fully equipped, an iisland for eating at, electric fireplace and flat screen tvs. The bathroom had a walk in shower, there was also a faux leather seat at the vanity with a magnifying mirror. The unit had an abundance of storage and was modernly decorated with quality pieces. The only negative was the pullout sofa in the living area that while in like new condition (as was everything in the room) had to be the most uncomfortable piece of furniture I have ever sat on.The front desk staff was courteous and efficient and the complimentart breakfast was excellent for a complimentary breakfast. A no hassle place to stay.

    5
    « PLeasant surprise »

Hotel is very well maintained and has a very welcoming lobby. Has pool, exercise room, etc., and a hot and cold breakfast is included in the room price. Rooms are very spacious and have a small fridge, microwave, and a Keurig Coffeemaker. It is without hesitation that I recommend this facility.

    4
« Nice place not enough accessible parking »

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The pool was not great because of the amount of chlorine. Just sitting in the pool room made my eyes water. Breakfast was very tasty but needs more seating. My only real issue was the lack of accessible parking. We were traveling with a family member who has a disability and could not get parking near the front of the hotel. Two of the four spots were occupied by people with no permits. Unfortunately it was too late at night for the front desk to call the rooms to have the vehicles moved.

    5
« BW Edmundston, NB Consistently a Great Hotel »

We really like this hotel having stayed on 6 occasions. Very friendly and helpful fully bi-lingual staff, very clean rooms, nicely appointed common areas, very accommodating of our cat, great breakfast and nice pool.

« Clean and large rooms. »

We stayed here for one night and were very very satisfied. The room was clean which is #1 with me. It had a king size bed, a full sofa, coffee table, full desk and a very comfortable desk chair (my husband said). The breakfast the next morning was really good. Lots of hot and cold choices. The dining room was cozy and not sterile looking like a lot of the eating areas are now. We definitely would stay here again with no problem and would recommend it to friends and family and anyone that asks. To the manager: We actually found the whole hotel quite warm. The room, the eating area and the hallways. Save yourself a little money and turn it down a couple of degrees.

    5
    « Excellent Hotel »

This hotel is very close an intersection of the TransCanada highway, about a five minute drive into the town and about ten minutes away from the boarder with the United States. The hotel is modern and nicely furnished. It has a lounge/bar on the second floor which is nice to place to relax in. The breakfast restaurant is clean and the selection is good. The rooms are well appointed and the beds comfortable. Interesting the floors are not carpeted making it easy to roll your luggage along halls and into rooms. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly and fully bilingual. An excellent place to break up a trip if you are heading from Ontario to the Maritimes, but book early as they seem to fill up fast during tourist season. Once you stay there you will understand why.

« Good price point and clean »

This was a great rest stop for our cross Canada road trip. It was very clean, comfortable beds, close to the hwy, restaurants and great parking. Spent a little while in the hot tub and it was nice clean and relaxing. Free continential breakfast that was ok but it's free. The staff were friendly as well Would for sure recommend this hotel.

« Another good stay at a Best Western »

This appears to be a new hotel but is actually 8 years old. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the decor soothing. The most interesting feature is bedroom floors that look like carpet but are actually linoleum, This is easy to move luggage on and is dust free. The complimentary hot breakfast was a bit disappointing,,instant eggs on paper plates with plastic cutlery. The staff is friendly and helpful.
