Best Western Plus Palm Court Hotel

Nice enough hotel with a very nice staff. Off street parking is tight, but free. Front desk people were great and the lobbies are attractive. The room was a bit tired and could have been cleaner - the walls and doors had some marks and grime. For the cost I expected something a bit nicer. I'm not sure what made our rooms “suite.” It was two beds with a sofa. I expected a separate sleeping area. The main reason I gave it three stars was noise. We could hear people talking loudly in the next room late into the night and were awakened by people shrieking on the street outside at 3 am. Additionally, our room was directly over the kitchen of the restaurant downstairs. They started banging things around at 5 am, waking us up again. I would probably stay there again, but only if I could have a third floor room.

Big spacious rooms and comfortable beds. The furniture is dated, but the bed and linens are comfortable. The problem here is the noise! There is a restaurant downstairs and dumpsters next to the building where they pick up garbage and recycling starting before 6am. I asked for a quiet room, and was on the street next to the dumpsters. I can't imagine what the non-quiet rooms are like!!! The room was adequately cleaned and the staff was fine, but I was there over a holiday so might be the B team working. The location is top notch, walking distance to everything you might want in Davis. The restaurant attached to the hotel is top-notch

I stayed for one night since we were on our way to the airport. Our options were woodland, Dixon, Davis or Sacramento. I am a UC Davis alumni and knew it would be a great location and family friendly. Plenty of stores and restaurants near by and an almost nonexistent homeless population. This was definitely the right choice. Great staff and great stay.

Good Clean room and bathroom; good WiFi; a/c works well; breakfast at Cafe Bernardo is very good; be in the cafe by 8 am on Saturday and Sunday if you want to get a table; the cafe was full with people waiting by 10 am. Not good Cramped parking under the hotel and not enough handicapped parking spaces - only one; the sink area is just inside the door and the lighting shines in the face of anyone still asleep - this is not good. Only one ice machine on the first floor in the fitness room - really, the fitness room??? The hotel has loud music from surrounding businesses from time to time; expect to use the ear plug they provide; there is no guest laundry. The only place to eat breakfast at the hotel is the onsite restaurant Cafe Bernardo; breakfast selections are skewed to no meat meals; any meats are side orders; meals are not cheap; expect to pay at least $15 per person to have enough to eat. I went to the lobby one morning to get some coffee and it was terrible; barely warm; I ask about a microwave to heat it and there is no microwave; the front desk says it is from yesterday; yesterday??; and fresh coffee will not be available until 6:30; really? Why can't the front desk show some initiative and make a fresh pot way sooner than 6:30 am? Overall An acceptable place to stay, but with cramped, limited parking; also, using a restaurant rather than the standard breakfast prepared by hotel staff makes the stay just that more expensive.

We were on a two-week trip and stayed at the Ritz in Marina Del Rey, the Laguna Inn in Laguna and the Renaissance Hotel in Palm Springs. The Palm Inn in Davis surpassed them all in service, cleanliness, AMENITIES and quietude .... such a pleasant location, parking and kind and thoughtful employees.

This location is the perfect blend of a town corner that is within a short walking distance of the famous Davis Farmers Market and a large variety of great restaurants filled with foods locally grown farm to fork. The BW is nicely appointed and clean. It is located on a corner and is a three story building with a small parking garage underground as in tight city parking. In the few 3-4 larger parking spots there was a Ford F-250 quad cab, long bed parked, mirrors folded in of course and it looked really tight. Hope this information helps.

My vehicle was broken into in the parking structure. And manager did not call me back. I had to call her 2 days later. She said there was a misunderstanding with her employpassing the buck. Her email, her employees gave her my name and number and situation, and she chose not to call me

Best western is the best hotel. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to everybody. It was very clean. It was priced at a reasonable price. The staff went out of thier way to accommodate us.

I was on a business trip recently and stayed at Best Western UC Davis, and much to my delight and pleasure the rooms were clean and very comfortable. The bar in the lobby provided cold beer and the restaurant had a nice selection of tasty food! I will gladly return.

The place is unusual in that it is a corner and faces into the atrium, which I thought would be strange, but it was fine. Staff was super helpful, room was clean and spacious. We went to the farmers market in the morning. Great location!!

The rooms are all fabulous. The suites are truly a fantastic bargain if you need the extra space. The staff are all friendly and accommodating. Perfect location for restaurants. There is some noise if you like to sleep in, but they do provide ear plugs!

I wanted to enjoy my Christmas in a hotel with a jetted tub so I looked online and to my surprise this gem popped up. The room was great and the staff was awesome. The downtown area was pretty much empty with very limited food options due to the holiday but there was a delicious Chinese restaurant across the way that was open so that was nice. They have a bar that was closed and they are connected to Bernardo Cafe. Will definitely come back to get the full experience

Centrally located in downtown Davis, CA, this hotel is ideal for walking to cinemas, shopping and restarants. The community is a university town and we stayed a couple of days before Christmas so it was not crowded in the shops and restaurants.

Whenever we travel from SoCal to NoCal we make a point to stay at the BW Palm Court. Perfect downtown location with clean rooms with nice thoughtful amenities. Staff is consistently friendly and helpful. Always a pleasant experience

The hotel is in a great location if you are in town and don't want to drive around. Also close to UCD. Rooms are spacious. Only downside is if you are above the cafe, you may hear people talking and hanging out. It's my go to place whenever I'm in town or need to book a place for a friend.

I had a room on the first floor , over the entryway to the parking area below and was concerned it would be noisy--but it was not! Very quiet. No noise from above or the street. Very comfortable bed. Two TVs one in bedroom and one in sitting room with sofa couch. Refrigerator which worked. There is a restaurant adjacent, called Cafe Bernardo, which was great for breakfast and an early lunch. You are within walking distance to a number of restaurants, coffee houses, theaters, book stores and about 3-4 blocks from UC Davis and the Arboretum. Very convenient. Parking below. Very hot at this time of year and AC worked well. It was an easy, convenient stay for a brief visit and I was happy with the accommodations.

There is a boutique quality to the Palm Court where hotel entrance, a restaurant, and a separate bar all converge at the same small point. Stay in a room on the street rather than between buildings. Very nicely built and maintained.

Stayed for 2 days at the Davis Palm Court hotel. King suite room on the 3rd floor had a rooftop outdoor patio. The bathroom had 2 sinks, there was a tile stall shower and soaker tub. Everything was clean and comfy. Staff was helpful and friendly. On-site parking was included at no extra charge. Would definitely stay there again

You couldn't have a better location. It's surrounded by so many restaurants and nice atmosphere. The rooms are nice. Internet was so so but not a problem. You may want to see if you can get a room that has less noise from the train. The train was not a problem fo rme.

Glad to be able to stay here while my daughter dealt w/ Medical Issues. Hotel staff helpful, location, room, parking all appreciated. Lobby Coffee free+ easy. In Hotel Cafe- St. Bernard has many tasty dishes.

The Palm Court is centerally located in the downtown Davis area. The hotel is one of the more exclusive Best Western Hotels . The suites are spacious & extremely comfortable. A must stay hotel when in Davis....

BW Palm Court is a nice option when visiting Davis. It is clean and perfectly located in the middle of town. The front desk staff is always pleasant and the rooms are spacious and can accommodate a couple or a family nicely.

I enjoy staying at this hotel for extended work trips. It is very comfortable, with access to great nearby restaurants. Alexis at the front desk is always helpful & accommodating when assisting with extended stays. I am always greeted with a smile & feel taken care of when away from home. Alexis is knowledgeable about the downtown Davis area & has recommended many local gems to dine at. Consider staying here when looking for a convenient/ quiet central location.

Great location, walking distance to all of Davis, parking easy, great restaurant ** Cafe Bernardo** attached tot eh lobby, and bar right across the way. Rooms are clean, the grounds are well taken care of and the best hotel towels that fit my body. I would stay again, and again.

This all-suite hotel exceeds any expectation you might have from a Best Western. It feels very much like a boutique hotel, with some lovely public spaces and solid dining (and drinking) options attached to the lobby. The cozy bedroom and living room were on either side of the suite, so there was good noise separation. The service was very good all around, but service from Nathan at the front desk was absolutely outstanding on every level - it was what I would expect at a 5-star hotel. Service quality matters. Location is also excellent - one block from Central Park (and its delightful farmers market), and numerous restaurants and stores were just a couple of blocks away, but it was also very quiet. It also has a small but highly functional gym with a bike, treadmill, elliptical, weights, etc. Minor comments: in our suite, the front door led to the bedroom, with the living room in the back, which is unusual; the doors separating the two rooms have glass panels (no shades) so if the lights are on in one room, the light spills into the other; and the bulbs are mostly "cool white" LEDs, which gives it a bit of a fluorescent feel. Overall, an excellent stay in Davis. I researched every hotel in town, and I'm glad I chose this one.

This little gem in downtown Davis was remodeled a few years ago and is refreshing in its upbeat, tasteful style. Room was a 2-room suite (to my surprised delight) centralized by large master bath area w/french doors. Sitting room great for biz or relaxing. Definitely going back for encore!

Great downtown hotel in the heart of Davis. Super friendly staff. Room very spacious with separate bedroom and living room. Restaurant below is great for breakfast. Attached bar that you can order food from restaurant. Parking onsite in below building garage, first come first served but was not an issue to find a space.

I specifically asked if the balcony room was the room with the fireplace and tub large enough for two people. I was told that it had a whirlpool tub and I asked, again, if it was the large tub. The person on the phone said yes and when I arrived at the hotel the tub was far too small for two people. I called down to the front desk to check on the discrepancy and was told by Alexis (who is one of the top 2 best parts of my stay) that the other rooms were booked until March. Your website/app needs more photographs so we can visually see the room we are getting instead of having to call and ask hotel staff who could possibly make a mistake. I literally wanted to turn around and leave and go to BWP Dixon because at least I would be able to have a proper bubble bath for my birthday. We stayed, and awoke to cafe noise, which wasn't the most pleasant and we'd have closed the windows if we were warned. We weren't offered anything to make up for the mix-up, *shrug* an excuse for a do over somewhere else.

Our granddaughter goes to UC Davis and this is the hotel that we always stay at. So convenient to everything. Restaurant *Bernardo's is attached to the hotel. They have great food and coffee. The staff is outstanding. All their services are great! You will ENJOY your stay. We sure do that is why we keep coming back. Parking is under the hotel, so that makes it really nice. Starbucks coffee is in their lounge area also

The staff was so amazing, I asked to stay an hour longer because my check out time was at 11 and they happily moved it to 12. The rooms were clean, and there were security camera in the parking garage and lobby so you always felt very safe.

Honestly from check in to the fire alarm going off at 3 Am for no reason this was a horrible stay. The Tv in the main room did not work and I paid for a king room with a balcony. No microwave either. When I arrived they asked for an ID and card I presented each but because they did not like my card they asked me to pay in cash. They had me go to the bank come back and pay with cash even though I had a perfectly good debit card. I hate to play the race card but as the only African person in the building I was not pleased with my treatment.

The room was very big and spacious. The bathroom was very nice and the lighting was great. The couch was comfortable and the colors of the room complemented my style well. Overall, my stay was comfortable and in a great location.

Just two minutes off the freeway lies this wonderful little oasis! Surrounded by all sorts of great little restaurants, most of which have built patio seating so they can be open during Covid. The hotel follows all protocols for the Pandemic and we felt very safe during our visit. We opted for a larger room with Whirlpool bath. Very nice room with a nice outside patio as well. Room was very comfortable. Note of caution.....there are trains relatively close to the hotel and they run during the night. If you are a light sleeper, the hotel does provide earplugs. Free underground parking is very nice. We highly recommend this hotel and look forward to our next visit.

The location is perfect and the hotel is clean and modern. The room/suite is comfortable and bathroom area large However the noise factor at night is terrible. People talking, train going by, delivery trucks dropping things off. So no restful sleep for me. Just ask for a room on the quiet side.

Wanted to spend the night in Davis so chose this Best Western since we are part of their rewards program. Great central location within walking distance to everything in downtown. Great check-in experience and wonderful staff. We received a free roomuroom which was wonderful. The room itself was very will decorated, the bed was very comfortable and all of the amenities were great. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

We were looking for a hotel where cleaning was given top priority during this time of the Covoid 19. The staff was very helpful, the hotel and rooms were very clean. We felt comfortable with our stay.

It was a pleasure to stay at this hotel in the heart of Davis. It is convenient to restaurants and shops and next door to a nice breakfast spot. The room was huge and had it's own sitting area separated by french doors from the bedroom. The hotel bar has a lively bar and great happy hour. Would definitely stay again.

The rooms are very spacious, internet is good, location near uni walking and near shops, restaurants, train. People at the check in were helpful and kind, also the luggage storage is a helpful service.

I have stayed at this hotel a number of times. I keep coming back because of the wonderful staff, clean rooms, restaurant (Cafe Bernardo) and Wiki Bar right next to the lobby which was very convenient. Love the town of Davis. The hotel is located right in town and easy access to almost anything by foot so that is very nice and convenient. Our Grandkids are at UC DAVIS so it makes it so easy to visit and dine with them. Perfect location. It is my GO TO HOTEL IN DAVIS.

We especially appreciated that the cancellation fee for our 2nd room was waived. The kids had a sick infant and could not come to the family reunion, so the room was not needed. Upon calling to cancel the room on the day of our arrival they waived the fee due to illness.

Once again we had a lovely stay at the Best Western Plus Palm Court in the heart of Davis Ca. Fantastic location and everything is just a short walk away. No need to take the car out. It's a little piece of home comfort away from home. Brian and staff are always so helpful and always available to handle last minute changes that might pop up with a professional but friendly attitude. Housekeeping is accommodating on any extra needs, for the room, you might need and right on top of it. Thank you Best Western.

We stayed at the Best Western Plus Palm Court Hotel for 4 nights when we evacuated from Sonoma County due to wildfires. The staff was so accommodating and friendly. The suites are a nice size, roomy and clean. Hotel is smoke free and pet free. Great location for walking, many restaurants and shops in walking distance. The hotel does not serve breakfast, but they do have coffee and tea in the lobby. There is a restaurant and bar attached to the hotel that serves good cocktails and food. I would definitely make this my Davis place to stay.

Stayed at the Best Western Palm Court in Davis last week and was happily surprised. Though my family & I get to Davis a few times a year, we never found a comfortable spot to our liking. Finally, I found that spot at the Palm Court. The building is nicely designed and the rooms clean, cheerful and comfortable. The overnight visit was made all the better by finding a great cafe next door and by having a quiet and restful environment. What a good place for a visit to Davis!

This is my first stay on a Best Western in quite a while. I must say, this is the best hotel in the chain I've ever used. The room was immaculate and spacious. We even had a balcony overlooking the main street. The front desk was staffed by Cassandra who took very good care of our family and helped us find the neighboring restaurant for breakfast and the nearby Arboretum Gateway garden for a morning run. Thank you!

Nice hotel, large rooms and very comfortable. Room was very clean. Front desk very helpful and friendly. Great location in downtown Davis. Only drawback was that air conditioner, it definitely cools nicely but it is a wall unit so there is some noise as compared to a vented one.

This hotel lists having a pool, hot tub, and a free breakfast. In fact, none of these are offered. The owner has replied to previous reviews, knowing they are listed and not offered, and yet has done nothing to correct the listings.

If you're going to Davis California, I highly recommend this Best Western Plus for its central location (walk everywhere from here), outstanding room quality (new, designer quality), and nice staff. I was traveling in a tall Sprinter van that didn't fit in their underground garage, so they let me park it right on the wide entrance ramp so I wouldn't have to go hunting for long-term parking. I've used many hotel brands, and I must say the luxurious feel of the lobby and the suite (with separate, sound-isolated rooms for TV/office and bed/bath) were top-notch!

Loved this cute hotel! Perfect location, super friendly staff, cute and clean. So convenient to have the restaurant and bar attached. Shawn at the front desk was awesome and the living wall in the lobby was a highlight!

Great location in the nice downtown area of Davis. Close to the UC campus. Helpful staff. Nice to have an indoor parking garage for vehicles. Room was large, but very dark, with a view of a grungy nearby building roof. My back did not love the mattress...

In the heart of downtown Davis. I feel that this is the best hotel to stay at while visiting this cozy city!! Rooms are spacious and very clean. The decor is beautiful. Staff are very helpful and friendly.

This is our second visit to this hotel and it did not disappoint! Modern clean and quiet room. Amenities were excellent. Under hotel parking convenient and location great for walking to shops and events. The personnel were wonderful. I had a small issue with room phone and Cassandra had a clean cut young man to the room swiftly to fix it. We will return.

Stay here a few times a year when we visit our daughter at UCDAVIS. Rooms are clean, staff is always pleasant and accommodating. Right in the center of town so you can walk to numerous restaurants, spas, nails, hair and movie theater. Just about anything you need is close by. Beds are comfy too. Good size room and bathrooms.

The location of this hotel is really great. Very close to lots of restaurants, cafes, and shops, right in the center of Davis and walking distance to UC Davis. Nice, clean and comfortable hotel. Large renovated bedroom and bathroom, with nice amenities, and very clean. Would definitely stay here again.

Its hsrd to say where the hotel scores higher than average. Rooms are good, so is the rst, all is rationalized and the receptiin is a one person show, thecoffee is average and the sweet milk is a bit unhealthy....

My husband and two daughters visited this hotel while we toured the Davis campus. The front desk staff was very helpful and welcoming. The room was extremely comfortable and well-maintained. Also the restaurant and bar, although not part of the hotel, were lovely places to get take advantage of Happy Hour deals and delicious breakfasts! The hotel is very centrally located as well and just a short walk to campus.

I had to spend the night in Davis, CA, due to a family medical emergency. I had nothing with me. I'm a fan of BWs so I found the BW Palm Court. I was given a toothbrush and toothpaste, and was very delighted to find a robe and slippers in the room.

Best Western Plus Palm Court was a nice boutique hotel with nice appointments and furnishings. Everything was clean and orderly. I appreciate that there was parking available. The staff was very friendly

Great Hotel in the heart of downtown, they have there own restaurant but there are dozens within walking distance as well. The rooms are well appointed, very clean and surprisingly quiet. The room next to mine had a crying baby in it, which I knew because I could hear the baby very well if I was out in the hall but once in my room I could hardly hear the crying at all, so the rooms are very well insulated and sound proofed. The lobby was well appointed and the staff was friendly, helpful. and accomidating I would stay here again and gave it a top rating on everything.

My parents are in their 80's and have stayed in this lovely hotel numerous times. The staff is always amazing to them - they treat them with wonderful kindness and thoughtfulness and always go way out of their way to make their stay as happy and comfortable as possible. Shaun and Alexis and Cassandra at the front desk are just THE BEST, and the housekeeping staff is always kind and attentive, too. We couldn't be happier with their experience there! The rooms are beautifully appointed, and the location of the hotel can't be beat in terms of access to the downtown area of Davis. We give this hotel and their staff our highest recommendations!

Great Hotel, it has been updated since I last stayed there and much the better for it. Very large rooms. The hotel is located in the centre of Davis and is a great location for all the downtown restaurants.

We were so happy with our stay here. The hotel is in a perfect location in the center of town. We could walk everywhere, exploring the shops, restaurants and the UC Davis campus. The hotel is attractive, and we liked our mini-suite arrangement. Reasonably priced too! Best of all was Shaun, the young man who welcomed us as we checked in. We kept going back to ask him questions, and he always came up with great suggestions and friendly conversation. We look forward to being there again.

The hotel is centrally located which is great if you wish to walk around the cite. The rooms are mini-suites which were spacious and nice. The living space and bedroom are separate in case that's needed.

Here are a few things that really irked me:- I booked a fare that allowed for loyalty points as this was a business trip, but the front desk was really adamant against OTAs. What was the point of booking a higher fare?!?- I wished that there was a way to get blackout curtains for the bedroom. The aluminum blinds let in a lot of light

The Palm Court is a great downtown location, large suite like rooms and excellent service. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The on-site restaurant and bar are convenient, as is the location in the center of Davis.

Decent hotel but seriously lacking in parking. It's a nightmare (parking) and street parking is heavily monitored. Staff could not provide alternative parking and could not tell guests what the overnight street rules were. We we told to “go read the parking sign.” Not very helpful. Hotel is well situated but take a cab or ride share. Room was clean and comfortable.

We recently stayed for one night at the Best Western Plus Palm Court in Davis and were really pleased with the visit. The location is excellent, offering easy access by foot to charming downtown Davis. Many parts of the UC-Davis can also be reached easily on-foot from the hotel. The rooms themselves are rather nice, reflecting recent updates. The room had some nice extras like bathrobes and free mouthwash that you just don't find at most hotels. The sofa bed however was way more difficult to pull-out than it needed be, and I strained a back muscle while wrestling with it that took several days to heal. The front desk staff were super-friendly and helpful. Please note that spaces in the parking garage are limited. We had a situation where we had to either park in the handicap spot or find a place on the street. After speaking with the person at the front desk, he said advised us to park in their handicap spot since it was already late and their accessible suite was already occupied by someone who didn't need the spot. It all worked out, though parking on the street seemed like it would have been easy enough since it was a weekend night and we wouldn't have to deal with restrictions the next morning. I would certainly return to this property again if my travels take me back to Davis.

We had two rooms for two nights and were very pleased. The rooms were actually updated suites with a sitting room and bedroom. The rooms were nicely appointed with bottled water, a small fridge and tvs in both the sitting room and the bedroom. There was no microwave but we didn't miss it. The robes and slippers were a nice touch as was the coffee and fruit in the lobby. We also made use of the seating area on the second floor, as did some of the other guests. I used the small but adequate gym as well. The staff was very helpful and friendly and efficiently handled all of my requests. I felt it was very clean and the large towels in the bathroom were wonderful! What a surprise. Our water pressure was not the best in our shower although adequate. Our guest in the other room said his was fine. There was a cafe and bar downstairs, off of the lobby. This facility did not serve breakfast. One thing we really appreciated was the location. We were able to walk to everything. We visited restaurants, the wonderful Farmer's Market and other spots in town. We felt safe out at night and enjoyed just strolling through town to find what was there.

Came to Davis to visit UC Davis with my daughter. This hotel was perfect! The very best location to get to know this wonderful little town, close to EVERYTHING! You can walk to any spot, be it restaurants, coffee shops, movie theatre, shopping, and if your here on a Wednesday or Saturday, the Farmers Market! The hotel rooms are large, well appointed, comfy beds, and the staff here is WONDERFUL! No pool, but they do have a sister hotel close by, that will allow you to swim there. Within the hotel lobby is a great restaurant, serving all day into the evening. Almost all their ingredients come from local farmers. It did not disappoint!! The only reason we did not give the full five is because there is an alley behind the hotel and early morning there is a bit of noise from the dumpster and delivery trucks etc... Other than that... we will definitely stay here again!!

My daughter and I stayed here one night around Memorial Day for a visit to UCD. We were very happy with our stay. I asked for a quiet room and was very pleased with it. The room was clean and nice. While an older property, it is clear the hotel has been updated and refreshed. As another reviewer said, and I agree, this is not your typical Best Western. The atmosphere is appealing, pleasant, and clean. I asked for extra towels (just because I like to have them) and easily got them from the responsive staff. There was ice downstairs so I could fill a bucket in the cute little gym so we could keep things cold, as there was no refrigerator in our room. The hotel room did have bottled water so you can drink it or use it for the Keurig. I thought this was a very thoughtful touch, and much appreciated. Who makes coffee with tap water? There is a fabulous plant wall downstairs - be sure to check it out if you stay. The whole town can hear the train; I think most people just tune it out. My daughter said it became like white noise to her - but it is everpresent. This hotel is further from the tracks than most, which is one reason I chose it. If you are sensitive to noise, Davis is not a town for you. There are a lot of street noises all the time downtown, at all hours. However, the train whistle noise did not hinder my sleep or wake me up, and I am very sensitive to noise. I was woken up by street noise early, but I did sleep decently well. The beds were fine and reasonably comfortable. My room had a window I could open for fresh air which I really appreciated. I didn't use the heat or air, because I don't like to hear that going off and on. Parking was easy and free located right under the hotel. For me and my mid-size SUV, the size of the parking space was fine. I liked that if it was raining (and it did rain when we were there), we did not have to go outside to get to the car. Once I parked at the hotel, we could walk everywhere so I didn't have to get back in the car until we left. The front desk staff was fantastic - kind, courteous, and helpful during our stay, and when I made our reservation. I asked where to go for a meal and was given a few choices. We decided to go to the Mexican Restaurant across the street and the food was delicious. The shops and restaurants are close and there are plenty of places to go from this location. The hotel is walking distance, just a few blocks from the northeast part of the UCD campus. While the hotel does not offer free breakfast, right through a door from inside the hotel is a nice little breakfast eatery which was very convenient for getting an early start in the morning. This is a small hotel, all the rooms surround a central courtyard type area. Stairs are the easiest way to move around this hotel. The elevator was unnecessary, and I was happy for that convenience. I wouldn't stay here with little kids because the set up is not really conducive for kids running around and making any noise, which is just what kids do. This was the perfect place to stay for visiting UCD. We will stay here again. It is good for business, singles, couples, Mom's and Dad's visiting their college kids, and most definitely the perfect place if you are visiting the campus for the first time with your soon-to-be college bound child.

I was in town for business and stayed here for one night. My meetings were at UCD and it was an easy walk to campus and an easy walk downtown to restaurants. The staff was awesome and very helpful. I will definitely stay here again.

Arrived on a weeknight for a one night business trip. There were two guests in line ahead of me and one person at the desk. Owen, the front desk staff, patiently handled all our needs as well as the phone line on his own. Not only was he patient, but he was extremely polite and courteous. I also noticed that he seemed to be taking extra care to make sure he got everything right. Upon chatting with him, I found out that it was only his 4th day on the job! I was impressed! The hotel is centrally located near many shops and restaurants. It doesn't look like most BW's. While not luxe, it was definitely more appealing and charming than expected. The small lobby had a few chairs and an attractive vertical plant wall. A bar was located at street level. My room was right off the lobby. I was worried it would be noisy, but because it was a suite, I didn't notice much noise from the lobby while I was in my bedroom. The suite had a small sitting room with a desk, mini fridge and TV. The petite sofa might have been a sofa bed? The ottoman was comfy place to put my feet up, or could be extra seating for guests. TV was smaller than many “updated” hotel rooms I've stayed in recently, but it was fine. The sink area connected the sitting room and bedroom. Plenty of space and nice bright illuminated mirror. The bedroom was a good size and had ample closet space and two luggage racks. Another TV was located in the bedroom. They provided robes and slippers which was a nice touch. The biggest drawback of the room was the fan—-pointed directly at the bed. Hard to adjust temperature. It was either too warm or blasting straight to the bed. I turned the unit off which was ok in springtime but not sure how I would easily adjust temps during other seasons. The bed was a bit squeaky too. I'd definitely recommend this hotel for business trips or for families visiting students.

I stayed at this hotel with a couple of friends and fellow alumni of UC Davis. We spent a weekend in March and had an absolutely amazing experience. The hotel is amazingly located in the center of downtown Davis with excellent room accomadations and superb customer service. We arrived late Friday evening and were greeted with such professionalism and walked into our room to find everything much nicer than we had expected. The front desk was helpful with every question we had and even gave us a few recommendations in town since we hadn't been there in almost 7 years. Check in and check was easy and the parking situation was great. We would definitely stay at this hotel again! Great job davis team!

Location: It's located right in the middle of downtown Davis, within easy walking distance to the university. Room: Clean and well appointed. The room we had was a suite, with the TV and a couch in the entrance hall. Sleep quality: The bed was good, and gowns and slippers were available, an added touch. Lobby: USA Today and coffee as well as apples were available at all times. Gym: I didn't use it, though it was there with a few machines and free weights. Atrium: A nice place to have a casual meeting or chat. Staff: They were all courteous and professional.

This hotel was located in a perfect area downtown, close to shopping, restaurants, Farmer's market and close to UC Davis campus. I would absolutely stay here again if I was ever in the area. The town is quaint and very safe for walking at night. The people in the shops and restaurants were very nice and hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.

1st trip to Davis. Booked this hotel for one night for a stay overnight for a college visit the next day. This hotel is in the middle of downtown Davis. We left the hotel to look for a place to eat by car and realized we can park back at the hotel and walk wherever we wanted in downtown Davis. Hotel is clean with great room decor. Looks newly renovated. Room had Kurig machine and coffee and tea and complimentary bottles of water and a fridge. Bed was very comfortable and clean along with the entire hotel. Didn't even need to check out at the front desk, they have free automatic checkout, just left keys in room and left the next morning. If your in Davis for a night or two this is the place to stay, I'm glad I picked this place!

My stay at the Best Western Plus Palm Court Hotel was very pleasant, clean, and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again when I'm in Davis, California. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good, restful experience.

First visit to the BW Palm Court Hotel. Prime location just one block away from the farmer's market. Hotel condition appears recently renovated and all very clean and in good working order. Warm and cozy and quiet rooms and generous amenities such as coffee and tea pods and bath products

My recent stay at the BW Palm Court was an emergency trip regarding my ill son. I called on my way up from Southern Calif and your employee Brian Dhoge was extremely helpful in making my reservation. Upon my arrival he was very accommodating. Since I had no idea of how many days I would need to stay and this was not a pleasure trip, Brian Dhoge, made what was a very difficult time for me a little easier knowing I did not have to worry about not having accomidations for the next day. I would leave early in the morning and return late. When I would walk in, if Brian was still on the front desk, he would always ask about my son. I appreciated his genuine concern. So nice to see we still have caring people in this world and individuals going that extra mile. Thank you Brian and Thank you Best Western. Great location, rooms very clean and staff and hotel amenities great.

This BW is in a great location in Davis. Rooms are spacious and service, if needed, are good. Staff is very accommodating. The only down side is that you can hear more outside noise and possibly adjacent rooms than you may be use to but they do offer ear plugs.

I have stayed here often in the past 10 years, but this was the first time after their renovation. It was great before, and pretty much nothing has changed - other than improved looks / furniture, and an upgraded look to Cafe Bernardo. Service is fantastic. However, location is the best attribute of the Palm Court, as anything in downtown Davis is within walking distance. Same goes for the university (depending on where you are going). Hard to beat Cafe Bernardo for breakfast.

Great hotel and in the best location, downtown. Great rooms with different rooms for privacy and two TV's. Great staff and walking distance to everything. Private parking basement was clutch as city streets have restrictions.

In town for family celebration. Looked at several different options and chose this one--so glad we did! Room was spacious, very clean, updated and my wife really enjoyed the amenities. Staff is exceptionally helpful and friendly. Location is great. Walking access to variety of shops and restaurants in this small college town. Just an excellent experience and recommend highly.

Had to make last minute reservations & was given limited choices & had to take what was given.After paying top price we noticed there were only 2 cars in the garage while we were there. Price gouging.

This property is perfect if you are planning a visit to Davis. Centrally located, near campus, delicious food and very nice rooms and staff! I can recommend the delicious burgers at Bernardo's as well as the great selection of beer!

Great location, nice welcoming lobby, clean and nicely appointed guest rooms - and free parking! Used this as a stopping point in my drive from Oregon to Southern California and was glad I did. Davis is a fun, walkable town. I was very pleased with this hotel on all accounts...except for one. I looked on their website prior to departing for my drive to pick a stopping point and noticed a $102.99 last minute rate. When I arrived, I mentioned this to the front desk person and he said he knew nothing of this rate and quoted me the higher rates. I had to go out to my car, book this rate on line and then come back in to check in, which he simply did without any questions. He should have honored that rate for me when I arrived.

I have stayed at Best Western Plus hotels before and they have been somewhat more upscale than regular best Western Hotels, but this one was far better. Even though they did not have the continental breakfast that I can't eat anyway, there was an excellent restaurant adjacent to the hotel. I was surprised about the extra amenities in the room like slippers and robes. The usual shampoos, etc. were in the bathroom, but the towels were oversized and there were plenty of them. The only problem I had was that the bathroom sink and vanity was not separate from the shower/tub and there was only one sink. It is awkward to have two people trying to brush teeth at the same time in one sink. Also, I really don't think that the oversized ottoman is necessary in the t.v. room. It takes up way too much space.

We were very happy with our stay. Accepted service dogs without question. Convenient to everything by foot. Luxurious provisions. Quiet and clean! No breakfast. A simple continental spread would be nice, especially at this price point, to avoid the wait and cost of ordering breakfast.

Especially since the nice renovations. We have stayed here before. Lovely rooms, wonderful staff. There is a restaurant & fun, friendly bar onsite. There are several nice parks, restaurants, shopping within walking distance there. It is convenient for attending concerts/events at Mondavi Center as well as on campus.

Friendly and attentive staff on check-in and check-out. Immaculate room - as a frequent traveler it was one of the best that I have experienced even at high end properties. A lovely, relaxing stay while working for a few days at UC Davis. I would definitely stay here again.

If you stay here, be prepared for the possibility of not getting a good night's sleep. Court-style hotels, where rooms open into a common alcove or courtyard are often more noisy that other hotels. The courtyard noise travels up and affects every room. That's a problem at this particular hotel but not the only problem. Additionally, the insulation between floors is substandard. I was kept awake most of the night due to the thump, thump, thump of foot traffic in the room overhead.

We try and stay here whenever we visit our daughter if rooms are available. Staff are always nice and accommodating. Beds are so comfortable and the rooms are fairly large (king suite). Great location in downtown Davis. Love The Bernardo cafe as well. Great food!

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights while visiting my girlfriend who is a student at Davis. The bed was very comfortable, ample closet space left room for all my clothing, and a clean and bright bathroom was very inviting and comfortable. The water pressure was nice and the shower and tub were large enough to relax after a long day. The one and only issue I had was the temperature of the room. My thermostat did not work and i had to rely on the Ac unit by a window to cool the room. Overall, did not matter too much, but it did take longer than average to cool off the room to a comfortable temperature. Overall, very enjoyable and comfortable stay when visiting the area, for a very reasonable and affordable price!

Great Room, Great Staff, Great Location! My 13 year old couldn't believe all of the "free stuff" in the room: body wash, razor and shaving cream, toothbrushes and tooth paste etc...The room was very spacious and comfortable. We'll be staying there again.

I wish we were staying longer than 1 night as the room was fabulous. Had a huge balcony with a seating arrangement where I would have loved to drink my morning coffee. But the room was spacious, comfy bed, robes, slippers, lighted mirror, every little thing you could need including toothbrush and toothpaste. Shower, separate jacuzzi tub, and wifi. The Keurig machine was a hit with all of us too. Super nice and helpful staff. We will definitely be back!

Great place to stay, centrally located in town. Had a function in Winters, CA. Only thing that could have made this better was the tree outside the bedroom window. It would have allowed for some air flow!

Our room was nice although the air conditioning only worked in the front room and not in the bedroom. It was a little uncomfortable to sleep because it was pretty warm. The staff had excellent customer skills and really helpful.

The Best Western Palm Court is centrally located in downtown Davis and is within a reasonable walking distance to the university. The rooms are spacious and lovely as are the bathrooms. Parking is underneath the hotel - no small item in Davis where parking can be difficult to find. The area is filled with restaurants and shops of every sort. Staff is excellent and the place is well managed.

My favorite place to stay whenever I'm in Davis. It's central, the staff is kind and helpful, the rooms are spacious and inviting, and the lobby and garden wall is just beautiful. The hotel went through a major renovation last year and now it is on it's own level in Davis. I love the bright bathroom mirrors and that there's a gym downstairs too. I highly recommend checking them out!

Perfect suite hotel for a stay in Davis regardless of reason, but especially for events associated with the university. Great dining, and bar on site. Close to all downtown services, dining and entertainment. Walking distance to events at university.

Hotel is very nice; room was modern. Loved being so close to the Saturday Farmer's Market and all the restaurants in Downtown Davis, Nice touch that coffee was always available in the lobby. The only downside was that the underground parking was not adequate for the size of the hotel; finding parking during the day is difficult but not a problem at night.

There is not a lot to add to the many great reviews on this hotel. We were welcomed by Sean at reception who although we were a couple of hours early for check in went ahead and did so. During our short stay he was helpful with local information and sites worth seeing. The hotel has apparently undergone a fairly recent renovation and is tastefully decorated. Our room consisted of a sitting area with large screen TV, bathroom with vanity area and good selection of toiletries then through to bedroom also with large screen TV. All linen and towels were clean and fresh. The location is perfect with the option of eating in the hotel or the many restaurants within easy walking distance. The AC in the room was pretty loud but personally did not find the room too hot when I switched it off overnight. For those who need the AC, earplugs are supplied bedside. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

This hotel is in a perfect location to walk to all areas of downtown Davis. The rooms are clean, up to date and modern. The only negative is that breakfast is not included. The staff are some of the best in the industry. Helpful, pleasant and engaging. Excellent stay!

Alexis at the front desk provide a superior level of customer service. Room was nice, clean and well equipped. Wifi is provided free. My room was much larger than the standard room which would have been good for small business meetings. My room was a rear of hotel and did not have a view. I

The hotel is excellent, clean in all respects, beautiful, with all friendly and polite people taking care of all guests. Parking is convenient, underground, with an elevator from the garage to upper, (second) floor. We like the convenient location in the center of the town.

I love the Palm Court. It is a quiet and relaxing place in the heart of Davis. I just spent a week there. The rooms are large and comfortable. Service is great. The adjacent restaurant is outstanding. I hope to be back soon.

Comfortable and elegant hotel in the heart of downtown Davis. Easy access to restaurants, shopping, bars and the UC Davis campus. Newly renovated, spacious rooms. Breakfast not included, but with so many restaurants within walking distance, it's difficult to choose where to eat.

We got a King jacuzzi suite. It was perfect for my husband and I and two teenage daughters had the sofa bed in the living room. Large jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. Keurig and coffee as well as a number of bathroom amenities. Soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, all were good quality. Very comfortable master king bed. It had a deck with two chairs. No view though. There are two restaurants connected to the hotel. One we had drinks at in the evening. The other we had breakfast at. Very handy.

We (my husband, two young daughters, and I) stayed for two nights at the Palm Court. We were incredibly pleased with the hotel. The room set-up was ideal for a family because our daughters were able to stay in the main room while we stayed in the bedroom. The staff was very helpful, as well. We loved the location of the hotel, too. We were able to park our car and walk everywhere we wanted to go.

This is an interesting hotel, definitely a departure from the typical chain hotel layout. It's located downtown, easy walking distance from numerous restaurants and shops. Renovations are nearly complete, and most areas look sharp. The hotel has character, with an odd layout/design and seemingly unfinished details to be found in common areas as well as in the room. I had a good stay and enjoyed the property, the bed was comfortable, parking was easy, the amenities were from Bath & Body Works. Be aware that unlike most Best Western properties, there is no complimentary breakfast at this hotel.

The hotel is handicapped presently by having the main entrance tiled which meant entry into the hotel required a trip into the bowels of the parking garage with no signage and finding the elevator to rise to the lobby level. The renovations are to create a boutique hotel with a large sitting area and lavish bathroom in addition to the bed. The success is mixed - the beds are very high and indeed comfortable; the big soaking tub is a little out of place in an area that conserves water. The shower was a treat. One missing feature was a full length mirror ;( As an invited visitor to the University the location was perfect but the front desk person was somewhat diffident and unwelcoming which unfortunately, by extension, made Davis seem similarly inclined. Thank goodness the people with whom I worked for 3 days presented a different face.

I had a pleasant stay at the Best Western in Davis, California. It has a great location next to the town with a variety of places to eat and shop at. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed the free coffee and grab & go breakfast. The room was very clean and large. My only negative comment was that my coffee machine didn't work and my room was next to a hallway outside where I heard people talking throughout the night. But a very pleasant experience.

We needed to find a place to stay while visiting our son at UC Davis. Palm Court Hotel is perfect. Right in the heart of the charming town of Davis. Perfect for early morning breakfast, afternoon strolls and evening walks to take in quaint little Davis. Accommodations are just perfect. All suite hotel means who have just enough room to relax. Hotel is all new and updated.

This is a nice smallish hotel that offers good sized 2 room suites for 149/n. The rooms are reasonable and the hotel is close to everything, especially great eating. They are still renovating the lobby extensively, but you can ignore that easily.

Easy walking distance to downtown Davis campus and restaurants. Dedicated underground parking garage. Security Key room access has been improved. There isn't much to offer as far as hotels in Davis, might as well stay here.

All was good, but the front of hotel and lobby were under construction, which lessened the attractiveness of facility. Otherwise, nice location and pleasant front desk help, and room was clean and suited our needs.

Stayed at The best western palm court for the first night of a two-week trip through Northern California. Was just an overnight stay having landed at Sacramento airport and thought we'd check out this town. Can't really give high praises to this establishment because they were doing renovations and a major part of the lobby was gutted so no welcoming atmosphere. I brought this up to the desk clerk and he said they notify guests regarding renovations in progress (They did no such thing) Our saving grace was we were only spending one night and the contractor didn't start until after we checked out the next day. Davis is a cute college town, nice streets to stroll around in the evening. Excellent restaurants, coffee houses and bars. I'm sure once the hotel renovations are done this place will be a nice establishment. Maybe, maybe next time. Room itself was more than comfortable.

First and most importantly, this a 27 room hotel with a subterranean garage that holds 17 cars. If you come back late, there is no parking. Yes, there is street parking, but this is a college town and it's filled drinking establishments. Many nights there is no parking for miles around. How this got around the Davis zoning board, I have no idea. The hotel is overpriced for value and amenities received. The room were just refurbished. The decor appears rather thrift-shoppy with a huge, ugly ottoman in the rooms. The staff, however, was mostly pleasant.

Very nice hotel and rooms and underground parking. Good location in downtown Davis that is close to everything. The room A/C is very noisy. The grab & go breakfast is very skimpy - an apple and small bottle of water. Free Starbucks coffee.

Renovations are necessary evils but when it affects the bar and restaurant, it becomes false advertising to describe these services as part of the hotel experience. The temperature control was very uneven during the night. When I left, no staff were to be seen.

for the price, i expected more parking spaces in garage so you don't need to park on an outside street. the room air conditioner was in front room so bedroom got hot. lobby was all ripped up and staff was not all that great.

This small gem of a hotel offers suites that are immaculately well kept and comfortable. It is located in central Davis, close to the university and within walking distance to many restaurants. It also has limited free underground parking for guests. I have stayed here many times and have never been disappointed. Hotel staff is friendly and attentive. Be sure to make reservations early as this hotel fills up quite fast when parents of UC Davis students are in town for an event.

This hotel offers a great location and is walking distance to downtown Davis. We would have liked it if breakfast was offered, but there is an on sight hotel. Starbucks coffee is offered. The A/C was not working and the gym is barely functional. I would only recommend this for brief stays. It is pricey for what is offered. It is a very short drive to UC Davis and that was convenient for us. Communication needs to be improved with the housekeeping staff.

The location is great as was the service from the desk personnel. The room was quiet but the bed felt soft and lumpy, which detracted from the experience. Also, the AC was next to the bed and blew directly on it when it cycled on.

The best part of staying at the hotel is the location. Easy walk to anything in downtown Davis. Rooms were clean. Wifi was fast (didn't actually clock it, but able to download images and videos without issue). Would rate it higher, but for the price, I would say it is average for what I would expect

The location of the hotel couldn't be better for the area. Within walking distance to all of downtown Davis. My only issue is that the price charged for the room...in this area...should include a breakfast buffet.

Excellent restaurant two doors down called The Mustard Seed. Hotel is centrally located with easy walking everywhere. Wednesday evening farmer's market at the park with music and fun.

Everything about my stay at Best Western Plus Palm Courtyard was very pleasant. Comfortable and large room with all the amenities. The location was also pleasant with a small town feel. Enjoyed my stay even though I was very busy with the conference.

We recently stayed as a family of four in a King Suite - which had a King size bed in a separate bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room (which has a fireplace). Our room was large, exceptionally clean and appeared recently remodeled. The lighting was very good and the room had a large patio. The bathroom had a jacuzzi tub with a separate shower. The sofa bed is not terribly large and there are no roll away beds available. Our kids were small enough that this was OK, but it would be hard for 2 adults or 2 larger kids to share the sofa bed. This hotel is arguably the nicest option in the best location in Davis. For me, the best location means as far as possible from the train tracks but still being near dining options. The hotel does not include breakfast, but there is coffee and tea in the lobby - as well as a restaurant off the lobby. Our minor complaint was that they did not provide enough towels - 3 bath towels and 2 hand/face towels for 4 people. They did rectify this upon request. Second minor complaint is that there is insufficient parking space for all guests. We arrived around 5pm and got the last spot. I assume later arrivals had to park on the street, which would not have been a problem when we were there. Finally, although it is the most distant from the train tracks, you can still hear the horns. They hotel provides earplugs - presumably for this reason. I used them and could not hear the trains at all. However, I did have trouble sleeping due to some sort of very low-frequency noise from mechanical equipment - probably an A/C compressor - that cycled on and off all night long and could not be stopped by the earplugs. We were on the third floor and I don't know if there was something on the roof or something, but it made for a far less than restful night.

This is not a typical Best Western. Most of the rooms are suites and many slightly different. Very pleasant restaurant and bar share the property. The location is in downtown Davis with convenient access to shops and restaurants in walking distance and a short drive to the university. A pleasant change from most chains.

Hotel looks nice, and pretty clean rooms. Problems were they share a bathroom on the ground floor with the entry into the elevator, and ice machine. Drunk girl from the bar got in my face as I was trying to enter the elevator, as a hotel staff member just stood there and laughed. I was not very happy and did not feel safe. Next issue.. We played extra for an "upgraded " room with two beds. Upon entering our room, only one bed . upon speaking with the gentleman who checked us in, he said they had given our room away, and there was no way of comping us for our upgrade, but he could give us a gift card for the restaurant downstairs for the next day. We agreed. We requested extra blankets and pillows as two of us had to sleep on the floor, since the pullout couch was "stuck". They gave us one blanket and one pillow. Mini fridge wasn't working, and also there were a few roaches in the bathroom and sink area. Upon checking out the next morning, the gentleman who checked us in, was not at the desk, but a girl who was unaware of our situation. We had to inform her of the problems from day before, which she then proceeded to hand is a $10. Gift card. For the restaurant. overall the check in guy and housekeeping was very nice, the booking problem was terrible, and so was the one hotel employee who laughed when I almost got assaulted. Would not recommend unless your young and like to party.

No rooms with 2 beds - only a queen/king and a sleeper sofa, so beware and flip a coin to see who gets the sleeper sofa. No breakfast included. Great location (walk to all the central restaurants and shopping) but it is not on a bargain budget. I'd say a bit below average for a Best Western Plus venue.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. They printed out directions for me to help me find my way around town. The hotel room was much nicer than expected. Free Starbucks coffee is provided to all guests in the morning. Free Wi-Fi to all guests. The only issues I had were that the smoke alarm went off when I tried to shower with the door open. Also, the channel up button didn't work on one of the two TV remotes.

Well maintained, updated rooms, and friendly professional staff. The rooms were fresh and well stocked/serviced. The king size bed was nice and soft but firm and very comfortable. Separate living space with tv and let out sofa bed was great.

This hotel has paper thin walls and is in desperate need of renovation. Staff seem confused and puzzled about what they're supposed to do, so checkin can take a while. The hotel is, however, in an excellent location in downtown Davis, close to a number of good restaurants and the farmers market.

This is my favorite hotel in Davis. I come to visit my daughter who is a student several times a year and this hotel allows us a little extra room to spread out. I also love the location. It's right in the middle of downtown and we just step out the door and walk to most things from there.

Located walking distance to everywhere you want to go in Downtown Davis. Only a couple of blocks from UCD. Cafe Bernardo downstairs and the Bar are both awesome! The rooms are suite style with a living room, two TV's and more. They have free morning coffee in the room and downstairs. Very friendly, clean and upscale! You can't go wrong!

I have found this hotel to be a great location to do all things in downtown Davis, plus great for getting to the UC Davis campus as well. The little suites are very nice --small living room, nice bathroom and medium bedroom. Coffee service in the am. There are two attached restaurants. One is great for breakfast and one great for drinks/dinner. Underground parking helpful too.

This hotel definitely has the best location in Davis. The rooms are spacious and have refrigerators, separate living areas. Very nice when I come to visit my daughter and we need a little room to spread out. We love it that we can walk to lots of restaurants and the farmers market easily from our hotel.

The room was very comfortable and the free underground parking convenient because the hotel is located in a very busy location. There are blocks of stores, pedestrians and cars constantly going during the day and early evening, so on street parking is a problem. The lobby is ok, nothing to speak of really, but the room was large and attractive.

The hotel staff is always so nice, the internet is reliable and the adjoining restaurant Cafe Bernados is one of the best in Davis. I know I can depend on Palm Court time and time again when I am in town for business.

What an incredible room!! Loved the decor...loved the room, loved the fireplace, loved the deck, loved the tub. Jessica on check in was incredible. I was very impressed with the town, the hotel and the staff. Restaurant was great, with a great guy who served us. Very pleased with everything. Can't say enough good about it!!

My daughter recently graduated from UC Davis and in the last 4 years I've stayed at many of the local hotels but I found the Best Western Plus Palm Court to be the best location in Davis. The hotel is conveniently located near the campus, has a restaurant and a bar in the same building, and is located in the center of Davis making everything within walking distance of the hotel.

Stayed with family in a suite in this upscale Best Western in downtown Davis. Room was surprisingly quiet, had a nice balcony, and sofabed in living room provided perfect second bedroom. Bathroom area was centrally located between large bedroom and livingroom, with a door to close off the "wings" of the suite from each other. Sink with large counter space outside of toilet/shower/bath room. Garage parking under hotel, which has 3 floors of rooms arrayed around a central indoor atrium. 1-1/2 blocks from great farmer's market and many downtown restaurants and shops. UC Davis arboretum just a 5 min drive.

Great place to stay in Davis. Close to everything. It was nice to be able to park the car (free) and walk to everything as parking in downtown Davis can be a challenge. The bar and adjoining restaurant were a plus.

Best Western Plus Palm Court has the very best location in Davis. It is in the heart of everything and highly recommend this Hotel when staying in Davis, California. The Hotel is immaculately clean. I like the fact too they offer free Wi-Fi. Also they have a lovely welcoming lobby.

We just returned from freshman orientation session at UC Davis and I was pleasantly surprised by our stay here. It's a very small hotel, but it is in the middle of downtown Davis and pretty close to campus. It's a pretty good walk to campus, but an easy bike ride and definitely close by car. It is served by Cafe Bernardo, which is split into two spaces, both attached to the hotel: the bar/restaurant and the coffee house, which serves breakfast. We had breakfast in the coffee house, which was very good, and had drinks in the bar. Service was great. Did not eat lunch or dinner at Cafe Bernardo so can't comment on that. The rooms are large. We had our daughter with us so we had 2Q beds, which were very comfortable. The room has a refrigerator, which was nice, as well as a Keurig coffee machine. The vanity area is spacious and there is plenty of drawer/cabinet space for clothes, etc. The only knock on the room we had (210) was that it lacked for decent lighting. School was not in session (or perhaps was in summer session) so we did not experience any noise issues whatsoever. There is free Starbucks coffee on the 1st floor each day in a comfortable sort of reading room setting. The front desk staff were all very nice and helpful. Underground parking is convenient and free. All in all, when we return to Davis to visit our daughter, we will definitely stay here again. My wife stayed at Hallmark Inn on a prior stay, and although that was great as well, she did like the Best Western Plus Palm Court better.

Everything was wonderful. However I booked one night with booking.com and another on my own and they made me change rooms. So my morning was a bit unpredictable since I couldn't move into my new room until it was clean. It all worked out in the end. just a small glitch.

This is one of the best Best Westerns I've stayed at. Sometimes the coffee machines in the room don't work, but overall it's a great hotel. Good location, parking, and the rooms are nice and spacious. If you're on the first floor (I was in room 106) I could hear people talking in the lobby, (Very loudly early in the morning) so I would recommend staying a little further from the guest lounge if possible.
