"A good spotlessly clean hotel- lovely surrounding area"
Julierob62, 19 Février 2024

Third time staying here - Staff are very polite & friendly ,but always professional - reception area modern and bright but large sitting area to the right could do with a bit of updating and be a bit more inviting - lovely breakfast! hotel position good for visiting all the lovely surrounding areas in 3 counties! Rooms spotlessly clean - not keen on the fixed showers as it got my hair soaked even with shower hat! didn't really want to have to wash hair & then dry & style!! shame there isn't beauty treatments available as this hotel is a very relaxing place, it would just add another dimension to the hotel. But we always enjoy staying here - it's not a luxury hotel, but that said, its still a good hotel for the money you pay inc breakfast

"Accommodation good catering poor"
Des C, 29 Janvier 2024

We stayed at this hotel on a Ogdens Coach trip. We arrived about 5.00pm, check in was quick and efficient and soon we were in our room, 103. A nicely decorated room and bathroom. Unfortunately, we were told that dinner would not be served until 8.00pm which I and the rest of the 40 odd coach passengers thought was far to late. This happened on both the two nights we stayed there. We were finally leaving the dining room well after 9.30pm. The meals including the two breakfasts were average nothing to write home about. I thought the selection of drinks at the bar was poor. There was no Chardonnay wine, and no Worthington beer. The bar man said it had run out on Wednesday and the next delivery was not until the following Wednesdsy, this was on Friday night ! I have stayed at many Best Western Hotels over the years, they were either good or bad, this one was in between due to the matters mentioned above re late dining and poor bar selections.

"Fantastic staff, room and food!"
leebobDerby, 06 Septembre 2023

Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Claire and Kieran, both of whom exuded genuine hospitality. The modern and fresh design of the rooms left a lasting impression, and the bathroom, complete with a bath, shower, and an impressively spacious sink, exceeded our expectations. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the pillows were so inviting that I contemplated buying them! This establishment offers an executive-level experience at an incredibly affordable cost. Our dining experience was elevated by the impeccable service provided by Callum. His attentiveness and willingness to go above and beyond made us feel like VIPs throughout our stay. Gema, who worked at the bar and restaurant, was equally outstanding, and we developed a fondness for her hospitality. While our experience was nearly flawless, we couldn't help but think that the Best Western Corby could potentially increase their revenue by expanding their selection of bar snacks, especially in the chocolate department. I would gladly spend more on indulgent options if they were available. In summary, this establishment is an absolute gem. From the welcoming staff to the delectable menu options, our stay was marked by excellence. Personally, I have a penchant for pies, and the ones served here were simply exceptional. The pork and fish dishes were equally outstanding, a testament to the culinary skill of the chef. Kudos! To sum it up, this place offers great food, exceptional service, well-appointed rooms, a convenient location, and a fantastic dining experience. Thank you for making our stay memorable! Sincerely, Lee - The Pie Man

"We would return!"
Izzie62, 04 Septembre 2023

A group of us stayed here to visit the Burghley Horse Trials - about 35 minutes' drive away. It was very comfortable: spacious rooms, huge beds, great shower and fluffy towels. The breakfast was excellent, with a good choice of cooked food, cereals, fruit, yoghurt etc, plus some delicious chocolate croissants. The staff were, without exception, friendly and helpful.

"mostly an enjoyable stay"
andylK2060EK, 21 Août 2023

Have stayed here a few times.Rooms are very pleasant with a very nice and comfy large bed. room had no air con but was supplied with 2 fans.plenty of parking and ideal foe activities in corby. Breakfast..food is great but the service always seems disappointing which is a real shame

"Absolutely first class customer service "
Nevortricky, 19 Août 2023

Arrived late in the evening. Having called ahead, the receptionist couldn't have been more helpful. On arrival, she continued to be extremely welcoming. I didn't have to ask for anything, as she told me all I needed to know for my stay. Breakfast the following morning was excellent. A good selection of cold food (cereals, yogurt, cheeses, pastries), and all the usual freshly cooked foods for a hot choice, were available. On leaving, that same receptionist wished me a safe onward journey. All encounters with her were genuine conversations, and not scripted, like some hotels. If I visit the area again, Best Western Rockingham Forest will be my first choice for accomodation.

"Ideal for Business customers"
Shaun R, 24 Juillet 2023

The Rooms are nothing too fancy, but cosy and ideal for someone travelling on business, the Restaurant food is exceptional and the staff extremely friendly and warm. My only real negative is the lack of amenities such as a Gym, but the area is scenic enough that it makes for a pleasant jog.

"Very good value for money"
daddio4567, 16 Juillet 2023

First time at a best western hotel, budget price, hotel room clean, bed massive, not tired around the edges, but real value for money. Free tea and coffee, good size telly. Bar good selection, staff very attentive, couldn't fault it. Quiet room

"Dirty room and concerning dining reviews"
stevenarcher2023, 13 Juillet 2023

The price for dinner, bed and breakfast was competitive. My room didn't appear to have been hoovered as there were leaves on the carpet. There were shoe prints on the toilet seat and there were shaving hairs in the sink from the previous occupant. There was an unpleasant odor and it was generally tatty and tired. Staff were all OK and accommodating. Didn't eat there as read their reviews and went out for food.

"Nice stay"
calumbartlett, 14 Juin 2023

Stayed in room 504. Came here for a business trip. Room very clean (cleaner was fantastic & work should be recognised) fresh sheets & towels everyday. Air-con in room was a nice touch. Big bathroom with large walk in shower. Iron & ironing board provided. Food is to a good standard with big portions. Restaurant staff work tirelessly. Grounds are kept well & hotel is clean. Only disappointment was no mini fridge.

"Nice hotel "
siseastyorks, 26 Mai 2023

Lovely hotel, we arrived early the very nice young man on reception opened the bar and served us a drink whilst we waited for our room. He returned shortly after and informed us that the room was ready if we would like to check in. The room was very spacious and spotless the bed was huge and really comfortable. Our room overlooked the lovely grounds with outside seating areas. We stayed for breakfast and apart from three other guests were the only ones in the dining room, the food was really good especially the fresh fruit. Once again the young man on reception kept popping into the dining room and checking that everything was as it should be, unlike the two young girls that were on duty in the dining room and were more interested in stood chatting to one another rather than interacting in any way with the guests. Not even a good morning as we entered the room. The hotel didn't serve lunch, food is not served until 6 pm but Wetherspoons is just a ten minute walk away . A lovely stay wouldn't hesitate to return room was ready if we wanted to check in. The room was spotless and very big, the bed was really comfortable.

"The wedding"
nickfay2022, 11 Septembre 2022

From walking through the door into reception and being greeted by the smiling and friendly receptionist and the team that served our wedding meal every thing was 100pc. With my partner being in a wheel chair it's always a concern about moving around but we needed have worried every thing was ok

"Would not stay again"
StewartMojo, 15 Août 2022

Room was super hot and no air con or a fan… toilet smelled bad and had mould. Phoned the day before asking about it EV chargers to be told there was 2 Tesla chargers and a number of others on a first coke first serve basis (had to call 5-6 times to get through across half an hour). On arrival the free Tesla charger wasn't working and when reported I was told “ah yeah we know it's broken”… the person on main reception seem uninterested in getting it sorted. Overall an average hotel and sub par experience… I'd only stay there again if I had zero other choice

"Wedding disaster"
G3226YEreginad, 15 Août 2022

What a disappointment for the food and the service on Saturday 13th at my grandson wedding. The toast sparking wine was flat due to being serviced before we entered the room. The main course; badly presented and tasteless as no apple sauce was presented with the pork. The wine was served with the sweet which was Eton mess this was presented as a mess and inedible. Suggest no bride books here.

Would like to thank all staff for everything they done for the above, was a fantastic day also very lucky with the weather, special mention for Kayleigh who went up and beyond for this day to make it extra special, everyone commented on the fantastic food as well, so thanks again to everyone concerned.

"Very rude staff member whom blighted the experience"
KBeardsley, 26 Mai 2022

I attended the hotel as part of a group of about 12 professional colleagues. The hotel whilst not ascetically pleasing has great facilities. Great welcome at ‘check in' and the room was both spacious with a fabulous smart TV. Hot water in the rooms was the first noticeable failing. All my colleagues noticed the ability to only have tepid water, not the best shower experience. There was a fight in the garden area that was particularly nasty between two women that went on far to long unchallenged. I appreciate this was no fault of the hotel but not s great experience for the guests! The evening meal was satisfactory. In the morning the rudest waitress raised her voice in front of my colleagues and other guest as regards where we were sitting. She complained we had right to be sitting at a certain table. She then with raised voice asked if we had booked a large table for breakfast. Nobody advised us this was a requirement at ‘check in'. I stay in hotels 5 days a week and never experienced rudeness like this. I complained to reception and waited all day to receive an apology from the management for this episode, it never came. There will be no return!

"Lovely time staying here."
Michellepyke2323, 16 Mai 2022

Lovely, friendly staff team. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Food was very tasty and beds were comfortable. We were there for my sons wedding reception and everything was amazing, a lovely weekend and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

"Avoid….."
Marilyn W, 12 Mai 2022

This hotel is grubby, sub standard and shabby but not in a chic way. I can't believe it is 3*. The cleanliness in our bathroom left a lot to be desired. The tea/coffee/biscuits were rationed, as was the toilet roll! There appears to be no team work and certainly no General Manager to guide the staff. The evening receptionist perfected the art of ducking into the back office and locking the door anytime someone approached the desk. To be fair breakfast was fine as it was a self service buffet but the evening meal was processed, poor quality and on a couple of occasions inedible. I would not return and could not recommend anyone else visits

"overnight stay for a wedding"
nae1965, 03 Mai 2022

We could not fault anything for our stay, the staff all friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very tasty, value for money indeed. After returning home we found that we had left our phone charger,a quick phone call in the morning to very polite and helpful staff, I returned to collect it frrom a cheerful receptionist.

"Wedding"

Fantastic time wedding planner done us proud Thank you kayleigh. Rooms were clean and breakfast was hot and plenty of food. 99% of staff were helpful but let's not the 1% spoil it great day . Great place for wedding or for walkers fantastic countryside just 2 mins walk from hotel .

"Alright to sleep, not to eat"
lsanchlop, 26 Avril 2022

Staff: at check-in the receptionist was nice and friendly but she was probably the only one. We're attending a Wedding and the service was SHOCKING really... Not a single smile, they had no idea were they had to go with the food, a lack of organisation tbh. Cleanliness: Bedroom was fine, apart of the mold around the windows. But the Bathroom... The shower was full of pink mold (really easy to be removed). Amenities: I really appreciated having a Nespresso machine! Unfortunately the shower curtain keep getting on the way and it was annoying how difficult was to have a shower and not get the hair wet.

"Great Stay"
DebbieAngels, 04 Avril 2022

Couldn't fault this hotel. I organised a dance event and had 70 plus dancers with us. From start to finish all the staff were really friendly, helpful! Nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely be back. The rooms are lovely and spacious and are decorated lovely. We had a lot of lovely feedback from our dancers who thoroughly enjoyed the weekend. Thank you Best Western Staff.

"Weekend Social"
Departure50897414444, 29 Mars 2022

Got there early. Staff very friendly. Lovely bedroom and bathroom, clean and fresh. Great breakfast. Evening meal lovely. Lovely area at rear of hotel for sitting in. Fantastic evening and afternoon entertainment. Close to petrol stations and stores. Great parking facilities. Coming back next year

"Lovely weekend getaway! Highly recommended!"
Emma M, 24 Mars 2022

We had such a lovely stay.. initially a 1 night stay.. a gift voucher from relatives... after a poor experience in London recently, we were enjoying the facilities and customer service here from the start. The reception and public areas are light, spacious and clean. When we entered the room we noticed 4 uht full fat milk on tray... we asked a member of staff cleaning the room opposite if we could swap to semi skimmed .. she didn't bat an eyelid and went to get us replacements. The room was large, airy and well equipped (including a proper nespresso coffee makingI machine and pods). After we checked in a large party of line dancers checked in for the weekend, we were advised to avoid 6.00-7 30 for dinner in restaurant, the restaurant usually opens at 6.30, but 7.30 is too late for us to eat for a number of reasons.. we explained these to Claire on reception who spoke to the Chef and we were so grateful he allowed us to to eat early at 5 30.. so for much of our meal we had the dining room to ourself .. the Chef himself came our to serve hubby's sticky toffee pudding and was very engaging and friendly.. when we thanked him for serving us early he said they will try to accommodate requests when asked. The food was delicious! During the evening we realised both that we needed an extra pillow each and that because we were enjoying stay so much we'd like to stay longer.. I spoke to Carmen on reception.. she bought extra pillows to our room and facilitated an extra night at a very reasonable rate, so we stayed an extra night! Breakfast is self service.. has a selection of hot foods.. bacon, sausage, fried eggs, mushrooms, beans, tomato, hash browns, fried bread, cereals, bread for toasting. With a range of jams and other toast toppings (separate gluten free choices and toaster) plus a variety of fruit and fruit juices. My only disappointment was there was not a continental choice of hams and cheeses or pastries, the only eggs were fried with no scrambled or poached options and there was only 'milk'.. with no varieties.. we prefer skimmed.. but can easy take semi-skimmed .. but it would be great if hotel could offer a range.. although.. if asked I'm sure they could cater for all needs and intolerances. Having said that we enjoyed breakfast and it set us up for long walks around Eyebrook reservoir, very close by and with stunning scenery! Nothing seemed too much trouble.. when we asked for anything it was delivered or sorted promptly with a smile.... it didn't seem like we were creating an issue at all. Would totally recommend this hotel and will stay again as we want to visit Rockingham Castle! Well done and thank you Rockingham Forest Hotel staff!

"Appalling"
CalumM747, 12 Mars 2022

Breakfast was great and inedible. Dinner was cold and congealed - even after the 2nd attempt Room had an awful odour and the hotel is really run down. Staff generally ignored you. Not an experience I want to repeat

"Pleasant but overpriced"
gerihall2018, 23 Décembre 2021

The staff were very helpful and friendly and the food was lovely with a decent range of options for breakfast. The hotel is let down however by it's tired and tatty rooms that require some TLC (cracked floor tiles, holes in doors from missing hooks, algae/mould between bathroom tiles, stained carpets etc). Whilst still functional and comfortable the rooms come nowhere near justifying the £100 a night charge. The prices need to reflect the quality of the rooms, so should either be lowered or the rooms receive the work they require to raise them to a standard worthy of the charges.

"Amazing staff"
bethygame, 23 Décembre 2021

Took my family away for a couple couple nights, my dad has special needs and the staff catered this wonderfully, speaking clearly to him and keeping eye on him as he wonders off and cannot tell us, this really reassured my mum that he was safe. The hotel itself I'd close to a spoons pub, Greg's, domino's and aldi which was great for food in. We had food at the restaurant and rhe started portions were brilliant, good size! And good pub/homey food! The eggs were also cooked perfectly at rhe breakfast each day. Was a great stay , thank you

"Ok not bad"
suzannemcdevitt123, 29 Novembre 2021

I've just stayed here for my weekend break The room was on the ground floor but was quite noisy from people upstairs ;the room was spacious & clean but unfortunately the bathroom could have a makeover Lovely power shower but don't put it on full blast otherwise the bath gets full up with water Beds not very comfortable But would I come back. Yes I would Lovely staff

"Great Night Sleep"

Very comfy beds, clean room and quiet nights slept after a night out in Corby. Very helpful staff and great value for money . Would defo stay here again.Easy to book and pay in arrival .May try breakfast next time

"Great hotel, lovely staff"
Maggie1132_13, 09 Novembre 2021

This is a lovely hotel and the staff are second to none. We stay with them 3 or 4 times a year, the reception staff remember us and always give us the same room. Can't praise them enough, Maggie Parker

"Good first impressions"
paulgoodison, 04 Novembre 2021

The hotel was good value compared to other hotels in the area, a warm welcome and clean fresh reception is a great start. however the cleanliness through the hotel wasn't great, dirty stairs which needed hoovering and dirty cutlery at breakfast Booked a standard small room, however the room size and amenities in the room were good and first impressions were OK. After spending a few minutes in the room i noticed the head board held together with black gaffer tape, a bathroom wall cover in black mould, mould on the bathroom wall, built up dirt on the taps. When it comes to sleep quality, bed was comfortable however the road noise was something else, the main road outside the hotel doesn't stop and i managed 4-5 hours sleep at best.

"Short stay"
amandamason21, 29 Octobre 2021

Had a 3 nite stay here to visit family .I have stayed here before and felt comfortable and safe .I'm very picky where I choose to stay.everything clean and tidy .we stayed on ground floor .room was spacious and large great curved TV the bed is huge would def recommend

"7 Man fishing trip for Rutland"
stephengalvin2, 05 Octobre 2021

For the price it exceeded our expectations. It's clean, great towels, loads of hot water, GREAT staff. Breakfast was excellent (and this was with less than normal due to Covid) and staff were very accommodating for requests i.e. poached rather than fried eggs. If you area light sleeper request a room not facing the road. It made no difference to most of us but one of us re-located. From then all was spot on.

"Great stay"
Heather A, 04 Octobre 2021

We stayed at this hotel so we could go to our friends wedding. Our experience was a really good one. The staff were friendly & very helpful. We had a problem with the window in our room but this was rectified with the minimal disturbance to us & we were also offered another room which we declined as thought it not too much of a problem. The food was really good & there was plenty of it.I would not hesitate to stay there again.

"Enjoyed my stay"
leebobDerby, 23 Septembre 2021

The lady at reception was supper friendly and helpful. Large car park at the front and rear. Easy check in and the first look of the place was welcoming, clean, and fresh. The room was standard but clean and all the items one would need. Iron and board, Large TV and kettle. The first night sleep wasn't great because of a very loud person snoring. I explained the situation the next day and was offered a different room and the rest of my weeks stay was snore free. The bathroom was modern with a ceiling shower. It has a heated radiator for your towels. Rooms cleaned daily. The breakfast is standard buffet, and the evening meal choice is limited but something for most people to choose something. The staff are very supporting and friendly. Brogan was a star and treated me very well. That to me was a big take away from my week here. The one night she was off, I did miss her service, but the others are still very accommodating and nice. All in all, a good stay away that reminded me that sometimes, the people on the shop floor make the place. One minor grumble, the chips I had on Monday and Wednesday were fresh and delicious, cut thinly and cooked to perfection with just the right amount of seasoning. The person who cut and cooked the chips tonight unfortunately didn't do very well. The chips were soft, large, no seasoning and tasted like they were cooked earlier in the day. The person who prepared and cooked them needs to be guided by the person who was in earlier in the week.

"Staff made me cry on my wedding day"
764stephw, 15 Septembre 2021

I didn't really want to be writing this negative review, I have given the Best Western plenty of time to contact me to apologise (which is all I wanted). I booked the Lordship Suite the night before my wedding, the checking in was a smooth process, a friendly lady gave me my key and showed directions to the room. No mention about breakfast times or checking out times was provided. (I had always been under the assumption that check-out was 12pm). I unpacked all my wedding bits happily and then met my friend for a drink in the lobby (who was also staying at the best western). Evening staff was friendly and polite, we had some dinner and drinks, which was lovely. It wasn't until the morning that I experienced my issue. My hair and make up lady had just finished getting me ready around 11:10am and we was on our way out…. But then the room telephone started to ring. I answered, only to be rudely told “You need to get out the room, your check out was 11”. I replied I will be as quick as I can but then immediately started to cry. My make up had to be re-done delaying the check-out even further. My friend then came back into my room and told me that he had just heard a manager shouting down the corridor (in front of guests) to GET ME OUT OF THE ROOM. My friend was gob smacked on how the staff handled the situation in front of other guests. I entered the lobby with my friends and family to check out. Not one member of staff even said bye, or even wished me a nice day. I left the Best Western feeling low and guilty. This made me very anxious and sick leading up to the journey to my ceremony! So, I just want to thank Best Western for making me cry on my wedding day *claps*. …. So before you stay at this hotel, bear in mind that some of the staff and management are rude, the hotel rooms need a good clean, full of dust, and there is hair on the bacon tongs!

"Wedding Reception!"
NorthernSouly, 05 Septembre 2021

Attended a wedding reception here. Staff were very good, organised and helpful. Bar staff also very good. Food was lovely, as was the service. Niggly little things that need doing, Gents toilets doors not shutting properly! Scruffy looking windows seen when standing in the garden are.

"Was a ‘masterclass' in modern hotel accommodation"
John D, 29 Août 2021

Our experience at Best Western Rockingham Forest Hotel in Corby was a ‘masterclass' in modern hotel accommodation, arrived late 28th Aug21. Standard double room with a huge extra large king size bed, massive Samsung curved TV and most importantly a refreshing power shower. The only issue there was the bathroom sink tap which didn't work (so no hot or cold water) but this was quickly resolved when a man attended with an Allen key to tighten the fitting and it worked perfectly thereafter a very comfortable night's sleep.

"Don't judge book by its cover........."
H9780UGpaulines, 08 Août 2021

Just returned from 2 night break with Best Friends. From outside building is very plain certainly not a lot of curb appeal . On approaching very clean large reception area greeted by receptionist was extremely pleasant and efficient. Rooms very large very clean and beds comfortable. We were there on a “Buy a Gift “deal so we weren't sure what to expect. The meal on first night was very good, two of party had steaks cooked as requested. Staff were very polite and. Itching too much trouble. We ate at hotel on 2nd night as very happy with quality and value of our meals. Bar staff also polite. Breakfast was very good certainly enough choice hot and tasty. Previous reviews appear to have had issues with the restaurant but we found no faults at all. Only one small request would be to have the air conditioning working as quite warm at night. Best Western Rockingham Thankyou for a very pleasant stay.

"First trip away since covid"
Richard W, 05 Août 2021

We booked this trip away just to get a bit of normality and spend time together. You can't go wrong with Best Western....can you...... The hotel atmosphere is depressing and decor drab. We stayed in room 508 which is one of the new modern rooms, and as rooms go it was ok, however, I like to make a few observations. 1. If you want to use the loo when your partner is in the shower....take a brolly as you will be showered too. 2. Toilet paper is very very low budget so rip off at least 10 sheets! 3. When you go out and ask for the room to be serviced don't expect much. The small milks were not replaced, the duvet was just laid back over the bed with the bottom sheet not straightened and the bathroom floor still had my shoe print visible from when I had used the wet-loo. 4. The bedroom doors are heavy and when other guests leave their room in the same corridor as you, your door loudly rattles and the room shakes.....at 5am that's not good. 5. Bottom sheets on the bed move around during the night. 6. The cold water tap never really got cold.....more tepid. The meal on our first night was dire and service was poor. Staff appeared apathetic and disinterested in the customer experience. Second night we walked to the chequered flag pub......much better! Would we stay here again.......NO!

"Hotel and staff are lovely but food left a lot to be desired"
tayloryellow, 02 Août 2021

Stayed here for four nights in July and had to write a review as there were good and bad bits. The staff couldn't do any more too help as they bent over backwards. The rooms were lovely and clean as was the whole hotel. What let the hotel down was the under chef - the first night we stayed the food was enjoyable so when the rest of the family and friends arrived we told them this. The second night the food was appalling it was burnt, undercooked or meals had been missed. My cousin ordered pork chops and when they arrived the were so over cooked that she was unable to get a knife through them, we asked for them to be taken back to the kitchen, 10 minutes later the young waitress came out and said that the chef had managed to get a steak knife through them and would bring them back out - could not believe this, was absolutely flabbergasted that a chef would have the audacity to say that about food he had prepared, it was shocking. The poor young waitress did not know what to say as the chef had sent her out because he didn't want to recook the food - I told her that it wasn't her fault, it was definitely the chef as any normal chef would not have sent that disgusting food out in the first place, there was so many problems with the food that evening it is too long to write - I did write to the hotel but they did not even reply. The young lady from reception is a credit to the hotel she had to sort all the tables out that night because of similar issues and not one table paid for their meals. After that we didn't eat in the hotel again for the rest of our stay. The restaurant staff are all young and inexperienced but everyone has to start somewhere and they are trying so hard but it doesn't help when they are hindered like by an incompetent chef.

"Not a bad place, maybe I would put 3.5 stars if this was possible"
Billmarge, 09 Juillet 2021

I have just returned from a coach party break for 4 nights and rate the hotel as 'variable'. The bed room (I shared a twin) was fine, but didn't have the little extras. I missed the cloth placed across the bed to rest my suitcase when unpacking. No little extras in the bathroom, including a block of soap. Also I didn't like the shower which is overhead and the controls impossible to reach whilst in the shower without getting my hair wet. The bed was comfortable, the drawers deep and smooth to open. The food again was variable. Sometimes it was very good other times not so good. Breakfast must have been waiting for us for some time as the bacon had become hard. Sausages were tasty. We had a limited menu, all baring one evening was good. Nice table settings. The garden at the rear was waterlogged and a bit smelly. Staff very hospitable and helpful

"Appauling"
r0yjulie, 09 Juillet 2021

Staff unhelpful and inexperienced. Hotel in need of a complete overall. Don't book breakfast or eat in the restaurant as food was inedible. Extremely disappointed, this should have been a lovely weekend break for friends wedding and the hotel spoiled it !

"One single phone call could have transformed my stay."
Ben W, 04 Juillet 2021

I had booked online and paid online or so i thought. I use a separate card to pay for hotels for work stays I pay upfront and don't carry this card, I was extremely frustrated when i was told that my payment had not gone though online, that the hotel knew of the issue but that "best western don't want to know" This all resulted in frantic calls to a family member to pay over the phone with my card that was at home 100 miles away, had the hotel had the decency to call me I would have brought it with me, I spend every working week in hotels and have never had such a bad experience at check in.

"Lovely staff / Hotel"
Paula D, 01 Juillet 2021

Can't fault the helpful staff good clean rooms. I am looking forward to seeing them all again I do not say that often I was made welcome and felt at home. If you are a light sleeper ask for a room not so close to the main road.

"Excellent from Start to Finish"
HillKent, 20 Juin 2021

As soon as we arrived we felt very safe and completely respected. Check in was very excellent, room was clean tidy and very big , with Lovely comfortable beds. They even have a Free Tesla charger point, which is a real bonus. Will definitely stay again.

"Great staff, covid aware, clean tidy room service let it down"
JennieRus, 13 Juin 2021

Had a lovely stay overall, with a toddler, room clean big had everything needed. Staff helpful breakfast great, nice outside space. very child friendly. My two downers on the hotel, i had a front located room and the road traffic as had to have window open due to our temperature and it disturbed our sleep not just cars but lorries at all hours. Room service for evening meal was poor i know strange times but i had fish and chips had no sauces salt pepper etc and the fish was well overcooked and poor to eat, the other food was all tasty though! Breakfast was brilliant, well cooked etc. most important all Covid safe

"2 night break"
Gill W, 11 Juin 2021

Great hotel. Every single member of staff was helpful. Had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant which were both very good. Good location, very clean and comfortable with tea and coffee in the room and big fluffy towels! Would definitely stay there again.

"Great Hotel"
Adg19, 07 Juin 2021

Great hotel, with lovely, welcoming and approachable staff. Room and facilities are exceptionally well kept, including the garden/rear of the building. Great and very large function room, which I feel would be fit for any kind of occasion . I would have given a '5' rating, if I had not had a room facing the main road, which woke me early with cars seemly loud I'm a light sleeper)

"Disappointing due to staff!"
Miss_hayles999, 07 Juin 2021

Me and my friends stayed here for one night. First stay after lockdown etc. The hotel was clean and the makeover i had read about online looked good. Unfortunately we were very disappointed with how we were ignored by staff. We barely were acknowledged when checking in, when asking questions about the new rules, the restaurant details and even about what pubs were nearby for food. The staff were unfriendly or only used one word answers. When checking out we weren't even asked how our stay was. No communication. I put the card in its box and walked out as no one even tried to acknowledge us. Staff need more customer service training!

"It nearly rocked!"
LaurieR469, 12 Mai 2021

Having found myself in Corby for a visiting speaking and teaching session in a local school, I decided to stay in the Best Western, Rockingham Corby. And I wasn't disappointed at all; well I was initially, but then the delightful front of house Carmen, unhesitatingly changed my room to His Lordship Suite - the honeymoon suite (just why anyone would honeymoon in Corby is another story...) but the suite was a riot of wood panelling, clashing embarrassingly with the rest of the hotel, and I expected Jeeves to bring me in my tea and advise me of which horse won the 3.30 at Haydock Park, and whether Aunty Lettis was coming for tea! Everything was Covid friendly, and attention to detail was really good, and wonderfully friendly too. It rocked, well nearly!

"3* hotel with 5* staff"
angie c, 13 Décembre 2020

Hotel rooms could do with a bit of TLC but for we paid we were happy. The pluses are: brilliant free wifi, large curved screen tv, excellent shower BUT the best thing about this hotel are the staff: friendly, professional - just perfect and this was all the staff we met -thank you

"Not as good as last time"
Alison C, 05 Décembre 2020

We have stayed here several times, but unfortunately this time was not as good as usual. Breakfast was in a brown bag because of covid, but they coked a limited evening menu, so I would have expected a better and higher quality choice. Television reception wasn't good. Definitely felt like standards had dropped.

"All clean and safe"
Tennishereford1976, 23 Octobre 2020

Staff were exceptional at all times and were accommodating at all times of my stay. 10/10 Impressed with friendliness and cleanliness Good parking Near motorway Food very good Near tennis centre and mcdonald's

"Best western hotel rockingham road"
nobody644, 23 Octobre 2020

From the time of booking to our last minute in the hotel, we felt that we were on holiday in nice surroundings, with wonderful staff who were always happy to help with a smile on their face. I can't recommend this hotel enough, if I had a choice I would stay nowhere else.

"Two da :) birthday visit"
Lee J, 16 Septembre 2020

Room was ok but many cobwebs in corners otherwise clean. The receptionist was very polite and helpful. Breakfast, as we knew, was a doggy bag but would have been nicer if it included a sandwhich and a nicer drink rather thank kiddies orange juice, not fresh

"Decent. With Tesla charger"
W9985XNpeterw, 05 Septembre 2020

Decent hotel. Good Covid segregation and minimal contact with staff from check in to room. Rooms clean and comfortable. Bonus was finding a Tesla destination charger so I could get a full battery before my trip home. And it's free!

"Decent hotel"
groovyjo, 22 Août 2020

You get what you pay for here, decent clean hotel, affordable prices, large bed and plenty of parking. Room was a little bit tired and had bits of rubbish on the window sill, one of our pillows was also missing a pillowcase - would usually not mind but with covid this was a little questionable.

"Mr cooke"
paulcooke721, 16 Août 2020

The restaurant is closed You may not find out until you check in But I think this is the intention The room looks ok tv remote didn't work I think the batteries was flat The shower was stuck on hot no control of temperature Ok for my wife but I like a cooler shower As it was drencher style only it was too hot for my self

"Gift stay over"
GOG69, 05 Août 2020

Not disappointed for the check in experience, very friendly parking was easy and the location was good. The Hotel looks very tired which may be due to the hotel only recently opening but a bag of washing was left in our room 204 and only one cup for coffee/tea, small i know but never the less these things should be checked. Our bed was extremely comfortable with a fair temperature. Please note there is some road noise, but we had our window open as we found the room slightly hot.

"SHOCKING BREAKFAST"
marcod-manutd, 29 Juillet 2020

Check in friendly and professional. Checked into my first room, the room had been used therefore upgraded to a superior room. (The only difference was a bigger TV, compared to other hotels this was NOT a superior room)!! SHOCKING BREAKFAST! No fresh coffee or tea!!!! I understand the current situation and changes it can make to a business, but breakfast delivered to your door in a bag and no fresh milk, no need! Doesn't surprise me for a Best Western hotel to be honest, obviously I won't be returning or use for business use.

"VERY COMFORTABLE STAY"
Jane H, 12 Mars 2020

We stayed at this hotel for just two nights but would have stayed longer if we had the time. The room was well equipped and comfortable and the breakfast was very good. It was self service but that suited us fine as we like to see exactly what we are choosing. An overall pleasant experience.

"No Heating During the Day"
Janet S, 17 Février 2020

I had to ask for heating to be put on during the day as apparently it is on timer, my husband and I were freezing sat in the room, the aerial for TV was blown off on Sunday and we left on Wednesday it was still not fixed, the weather had subsided but still not repaired. On one occasion i went to reception to ask to borrow a pen, there were 2 ladies sat behind reception, so i went to nearest one, she totally ignored me when i asked and the one at the other end of reception was extremely nice and came over, but i was not happy at being ignored by this person, surely customer service is paramount to repeat business. We have stay here many times and yes we would probably stay here again but only due to it's location.

"Very nice rest stoo"
Keeley M, 16 Février 2020

Booked here for a weekend stay. Room was very spacious, king size bed with good size tv in the room with tea and coffee making facilities. No fridge but we bought some ice at the Aldi close by to chill drinks in our room. Nice clean bathroom with excellent water pressure. Check in staff very pleasant. Breakfast was delicious-self service but they made scrambled eggs to order. Would make a good wedding venue in nicer weather, they have an outside pergola which would be a lovely setting for wedding.

"Kenny Thomas Fundraiser "

Amazing hotel, all staff in all areas are friendly helpful and attentive. Rooms are amazing, spacious everything we needed, clean tidy. Breakfast amazing, buffet, hot and cold food, drinks etc. All areas in the hotel are kept clean, lots of seating areas, love the decor, Thankyou all for your help co operation with this event.

"Nothing not to like"
steveF7799YE, 12 Février 2020

The quality of the rooms is outstanding for the price, every possible amenity and a huge TV. Loads of parking, fast wifi and the staff are all brilliant, plus breakfast was amazing, I could go on... Highly recommended.

"Sub standard quality, terrible food"
iansmith110, 05 Février 2020

Room is a badly refurbished effort, with dismal lighting in the bathroom, a dirty desk and a dirty carpet (put suitcase on floor, picked it up and it was covered in crap) pillows inexplicitly on the floor instead of on the bed, and the filthiest TV remote ever, although on the plus side it is quite spacious. Food is supposed to be served until 9pm, but when I tried to order food at 855pm the barman had to check if it was okay with the chef, which it was, although I wish now that he had said it was too late! I'm actually sat in the bar right now picking away at my appallingly presented and quite dubious Caesar Salad, the water-marked silver rimmed plate on which it has been served is plastered in very visible fingerprints which put me off eating it from the start, plus my side order of garlic bread just looks like a very half-hearted attempt and tastes like it has been fried, and with no garlic that I could taste. Just awful. Never again. Don't understand how this place can have such a good rating overall.

"Nice hotel but in the middle of nowhere!"
Noreen A, 19 Janvier 2020

Literally in the middle of an industrial estate. Hardly anything to do and limited food options. You have to travel out to neighbouring cities to find some life. Hotel was nice and staff friendly but thin walls so you can hear next door's conversation. Also the baths are slippy and you can't move the shower head. Anti slip mats should be in every room!! Not something you request!

"Short Break"
traceyij, 18 Janvier 2020

Myself and partner was given a buy a gift voucher for Christmas decided to use it at this hotel, booking was easy had a 2 night stay with breakfast. When we arrived looked exactly as advertised lots of free parking, lady in reception greeted us with a smile was friendly easy fast check in. Room was clean and spacious lovely bathroom. Breakfast was lovely both mornings continental and cooked, nice bar area. Staff all around the hotel were very pleasant, lots of things to do around Corby so worth a visit. Will stay again. Thank you

"Short break"
A1444RZrichards, 18 Janvier 2020

Visited here Thursday Friday 16/17 January. A buy a gift present for Christmas chose this hotel for myself and my partner. Lovely hotel nice and clean we stayed bed and breakfast rooms clean and fresh. Breakfast what you'd expect fresh and plenty. Great service friendly staff good car parking. Would recommend and definitely stay again good location to visit surrounding places of interest.

"Just what you'd expect! "
MartynB756, 30 Décembre 2019

Great size rooms, everything you could need with nice modern decor - we had a superior room (can't remember the exact name but it was one upgrade from a standard) - comfy bed, clean, walls must have been soundproofed because there were 2 Christmas functions going on which were VERY loud in the foyer and communal areas but couldn't hear a thing in the room! Bathroom also nice, but with one drawback, it had a rainfall shower head above the bath, but no shower hose head, so you really wash your hair in the bath - according to my wife!

"Xmas Day Dinner"
Kevin10000000, 25 Décembre 2019

Lovely Christmas Day dinner with the family. Food and service were great. Special thanks to Lydia on the carvery who was amazing and looked after us. Highly recommend. Totally takes the stress out of Xmas day.

"Breakfast with Santa"
margaretanddavid, 24 Décembre 2019

Visited today with son and granddaughters aged 7 and 4 for breakfast with Santa. Santa was an absolute delight. Warm, friendly and gentle giving children time to get over the Santa nerves that the little ones sometimes have. Patiently let family photos be taken. Breakfast was really lovely. I never hold any great expectations for this sort of even but the produce was good quality and very well cooked. Food was replenished regularly. I would certainly recommend. Face painting and music for the children to dance to. We will be back tomorrow for Christmas dinner. We live locally but the tradition of Christmas dinner here started a few years ago and we have never been disappointed. Thank you to all the staff for lovely service with a smile. It's much appreciated

"Great breakfast"
Pableto55, 19 Décembre 2019

What a cooked breakfast!!! Excellent. Nice quiet room with very friendly and helpful staff. Arrived for one night and had an excellent supper. Portions are very generous but the quality is very good. Highly recommended

"Lovely stay"
534aimeeh, 30 Novembre 2019

We stayed for a night as we were seeing a show at the theatre. Room was lovely and clean, staff were all very friendly, and the cooked to order breakfast in the morning was delicious. We were really well looked after, and wouldn't hesitate to stay again should we need to.

"Wedding gift "
mumzy28, 24 Novembre 2019

We came here as was bought a voucher as a wedding gift. Reception was pleasant the room was nice and clean. The hotel was lovely. The made to order breakfast was a complete let down hard poached eggs, burnt bacon, sausages tasted like they had been cooked 4 hrs prievously staff lady seemed very stressed out no one checked back on us to see if we were ok they just stood around chatting. The evening meal and dessert we had was outstanding small but cooked beautifully and the presentation was worth the money. Maybe if the chefs took as much care over the breakfast as they did the evening meal the overall experience would have been 5 star..

"Excellent stay"
ShropshireFreddy, 30 Octobre 2019

Would definitely recommend staying in this great hotel. Really large bed at least a queen size and very comfortable, room was lovely but the paintwork could do with repainting. Excellent self service full English breakfast, lots of parking spaces and staff very friendly. Wouldn't hesitate in staying here again in the future.

"West Country Bellringers Outing"
HelenParkin48, 19 Octobre 2019

Last week 30 church bellringers and friends stayed at The Best Western, Rockingham Forest, Corby. We were looked after wonderfully by the staff, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were spacious and newly refurbished. All our meals were excellent and suited us really well. Being a group we ordered dinner before leaving the hotel each morning and it was served promptly when we entered the dining room in the evening. We used a conference room after dinner on 2 evenings and coffee was provided for us there rather than at the dining table which we really appreciated. All in all an excellent hotel for any groups looking for great value and service.

"Not as good as previous stays"
Sue G, 12 Octobre 2019

Having stayed here before I was expecting the same excellent quality and service, but this was not the case. Arriving in the room the toilet had not been cleaned - used and not flushed. The plastic cup on the sink had been used. The packet of biscuits had been opened. There was no shower gel in the dispenser, although this was refilled on the second day. The bedding was tatty and torn, although the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was ok l, although they had run out of some items - was told expecting a delivery for tomorrow. Everything in the evening meal was very salty - a comment made by a number of our party. Overall disappointing compared to the usual standard.

"Disappointing stay"
Judith G, 24 Septembre 2019

Room not serviced adequately No hot water on second day Food at breakfast good , service poor Restaurant experience dreadful - starters on menu unavailable , mains awful so didn't bother with dessert !

"Excellent Hotel!"
Mish2380, 22 Septembre 2019

Lovely hotel! The recent refurbishment is brilliant, room spacious, staff great and the bed was super comfortable! Breakfast we plentiful and delicious. Check in and out was simple and pleasant. Overall, everything was great and value was good. Definitely recommend this hotel to anyone!

"Perfect Location "
topcatsecretary, 21 Septembre 2019

Stayed here for 3 nights arriving on 18th September & leaving today Saturday 21st. Room was very good - lovely sized room, clean, tidy, comfortable & overlooking the pavilion used for weddings. Minor niggle was the hairdryer wasn't great took ages to dry my hair but hotel hairdryers are never brilliant. Staff were friendly, cheerful & helpful. Breakfast was excellent every morning. Always plenty of choice & all the hot breakfast buffet items were hot & replenished frequently. Only thing it would've been nice to have had probiotic yogurts on the breakfast selection but that's a minor thing & is a personal preference. All in all hotel was great, staff & service excellent & breakfast very good indeed. We would definitely stay here again.

"Behaving badly"
Jim16900, 21 Septembre 2019

When you walk past what only I can describe as a manger say ^ can't be dealing with a**eholes today ...” as I'm attending a wedding here today I'm questioning the professionalism of the hotel. Man behind the bar has a face that can only say he does not want to be here! Rooms are very clean and housekeeping seem the only happy people in the building. Other than that a very poor effort!!!!!!

"Relaxing"
Westhamark, 02 Septembre 2019

We chose this hotel following a present given to us. The hotel looked really nice outside and in from the pictures and did not disappoint. Very friendly staff, our standard double room had plenty of space, table and two chairs as well as a huge, comfortable bed. The bathroom was nice and clean too, bath and waterfall shower also worked really well. We did not eat at the hotel, only because it was holding a couple of weddings, but there are plenty of places to eat not too far away. It was a great base for us to use and visit a few places locally, as well as visiting Stamford for the first time in twelve years.

"Great location for a short break"
BerylStaines, 31 Août 2019

Hotel was fine, comfortable bed, great shower, friendly helpful staff, plenty of parking. Buffet breakfast every morning. Lovely to come back at the end of the day and sit having a drink in the courtyard enjoying the last of the sunshine. The hotel is within 30 minutes of several stately homes and places to visit. Boughton House, Rockingham Castle, Kirby Hall, Lamport Hall to name but a few, all with their own unique stories to tell. The hotel was just around the corner to Rockingham Castle. Worth doing the guided tour around the outside to learn all about the history. Great views over the Welland Valley. On a clear day you can see one of the reservoirs that was used for practicing the 'bouncing bomb'. Or visit Kirby Hall, an amazing Elizabethan mansion shell, get the audio guide to get a good picture of how it used to be. Something different, have a short boat trip on Rutland Water or marvel at Foxton Locks and watch the boats go up through 5 locks. Visit the small museum where you can see a model of original boat lift used in its heyday, what a feat of engineering. On a special occasion go to the next village Uppingham to the restaurant Lake Isle. Excellent food, well presented, delicious flavours great service. For good pub grub eat at Sondes Arms down the hill. All in all a wonderful trip.

"A tale of two nights"
andyandclaire, 28 Août 2019

Arrived on Sunday the 25th August for a 2 night stay using a buy a gift voucher. We used the stay as a stop off from a long journey to visit friends over the weekend. It was a very hot day, and the first thing i noticed was that the room did not have aircon, nor did it have a fan. There was also several spiders in our bathroom. The hotel and grounds were busy, as there was a wedding function on. We ate in the restaurant on the evening. There was a separate menu for people using the buy a gift option, so i was slightly surprised that we wasn't given the option to pay an additional surcharge should we want something off the full menu such as steak. After a drink and a meal, we retired to our room on the downstairs corridor at 10p.m. It was soon evident that our room was between rooms occupied by several groups of teenagers who were using the room next to ours as their meet point. After a very noisy half an hour i went to reception, and asked if they had a quiet night policy such as those in Premier Inn where a quiet night is guaranteed between 10p.m and 7.am or money back. It was evident that they didn't. I was informed that the group was a "young golfers" meeting, and the person at reception said they would look for the group's chaperone who was in the bar. At 11p.m the duty manager knocked on our door and said there were no there available rooms, other than one on the floor next to the wedding party, so the likelihood was that we would get woken up there after their party stopped at 2a.m. He said he would ask the group to quieten down which they did slightly, but noise from them was still enough to keep us awake till the early hours. At 6.30a.m the same group must have had somewhere to be, as much activity was taking place back and forth from the rooms around us with doors slamming, lots of knocking, and much noise for half an hour till 7a.m. The 2nd day was better. We saw the duty manager again that day, and he said they would be reviewing future allocations in light of the problems and disturbed night we had the previous evening. The grounds of the hotel are very picturesque, and we spent a relaxing afternoon in there. We ate at the hotel again that night and had a few drinks. We had asked to be moved that morning, but where told the group was leaving that day, so we stayed in the same room and had a much better nights sleep. Overall, the first night meant we were overall disappointed with our stay. The rear of the hotel and its grounds was the main selling point for us, and we enjoyed relaxing there on our 2nd day. I have seen another review where someone said they have stopped in better Premier Inns. Having stayed in many i would echo that comment.

"Little break away"
ryancudby, 27 Août 2019

Me and my other half booked this with a gift voucher and paid extra to upgrade from a standard double to a superior suite and was well worth it. Jacuzzi bath was lovely and came in useful for a nice romantic soak. Bed was a queen size and so comfortable. Two huge tvs, air con was lovely and cool. We had a door leading onto a private deck, which we didn't have time to use but would have been nice for an evening drink. Sparkling Afternoon tea was absolutely gorgeous and very filling. Restaurants and amenities very close by, not even 2 minute drive away. Would recommend.

"relaxing 2 night stay"
gaynorb107, 27 Août 2019

Has a lovely restaurant with a good choice of meals and a buffet breakfast, the hotel is within walking distance of Rockingham Castle we drove to some of the surrounding villages and we also went to Armourgeddon tank driving & museum which is in Husbands Bosworth and worth a visit

"Worst night sleep"
Lauren F, 25 Août 2019

Wedding guests making lots of noise room backed onto the grass at the back, room was average but no air con the day we stayed it was 30+ degrees so un bearable didn't sleep at all due to the temp of the room. They was an eye lash on the bathroom floor I don't wear them so bathroom clearly had not got cleaned throughly. Would visit again if I bought my own fan the one they provided was about as useless as a chocolate fire guard and smelt of burning after few hours.

"Room and breakfast"
Demi1888, 25 Août 2019

Stayed at this hotel and it was lovely, room was spotless and worth the money! we went down for breakfast and the Scottish lady chef was so welcoming, talking to everyone telling us to help ourself to the breakfast! Will be coming back to stay at this hotel!

"Family visit. "
Buck670, 12 Août 2019

Came for a two night break with the wife and to visit me dad who lives close by. The Hotel was mostly clean apart from a dirty toilet which grossed the wife out a bit, breakfast was buffet and enjoyable, evening meal as part of the deal was really lovely. On the whole it was an enjoyable stay and only a 20 minute drive to Rutland Water.

"Beautiful"
dawnhaddon, 05 Août 2019

Attended a wedding here recently. Food amazing, waiting staff very helpful and attentive. Drinks a very reasonable price. A wonderful day in lovely surroundings. If you are looking for a wedding venue, I would recommend.

"Too long to wait for evening meal"
Pauline W, 03 Août 2019

The room was perfect as well as the location but unfortunately the evening service for meal was rather poor. We sat down to a nearly empty restaurant and ordered a bottle of wine almost straight away but we waited half an hour and still no wine so we went and asked where our wine was of which we received two minutes later (I think the young girl had forgotton). The couple on the table next to us had already ate there starter and was waiting longer than us for the meal of which they received after we got our food. The food was really nice but the length of time for service kind of ruined the evening.

"Absolutley Fantastic Stay"
crackwillow224, 24 Juillet 2019

Both my wife & istayed for 4 nights on a Buyagift B&B offer and it was just fantastice all the way through our stay the staff could not have been more helpful & charming. The breakfast is buffet style and of very good quaility of food & an excellant selection all round. We had the room upgrade at £20.00P a night which was well worth it. We must mention three members of staff, Claire who looked after our booking over the internet and answered all our queries and sorted everything out for our arriva in a most proffesional way. Now the second staff member was Taylor who we met on the bar and at breakfast and she was absolutely fantastic, such a charming & most helpful young lady. Now finally Julian who we had the pleasure of talking to both in the bar and enroute to breakfast on our last morning he most charming and informitive and told us a little about the Hotel & the area, Julian had such enthusiasam for his role of Area/General Manager that this spread through to all his team. Big thankyou to Julian and all his team for a tremendous saty. Ken & Marie Room 302

"OK but restaurant menu and bathroom facilities disappointing "
LeeRP, 09 Juillet 2019

The hotel is centrally placed to A roads. The room was spacious but the bed had been damaged and was in need of a slight repair. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The car parks are not sufficient for hotel guests if thete is also a function at the hotel. The restaurant menu was quite limited and overpriced - £8.50 for a sandwich. However there is a hungry horse, wetherspoons and other eating places within a half mile. The bathroom facilities were disappointing. The tap was not easily turned on, in fact we had to ring reception to find out how to turn the sink taps on. The shower head was attached to the ceiling and was a rainfall shower so there was no power to the shower. Also regardless of how much the hot tap was turned the water did not reach above lukewarm. I would stay here again but only after other options had been exhausted

"Wedding party "
Javier_Cutlery, 06 Juillet 2019

Stayed here for one night. We arrived early and despite the 2pm check in, given the ceremony was at 1330, the lady on reception said she would ensure our room was ready next, this was at 12 pm. The room was ready for us at 1230 and allowed us time to get ready for the wedding. So that was a nice touch and shows that they care for their guests. The hotel itself is set in very nice grounds which are well kept. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The only gripe is that rooms are not air conditioned and even with the window open fully were very stuffy. The bathroom in our room, 208, had mould on the walls and could do with an extractor fan. It was difficult to sleep, due to the heat and there was nothing we could do about this. However, the rooms are well equipped with tea and coffee facilities and an iron / ironing board. The standard of the room was below par but the staff here are fantastic and made us feel very welcome. The 3 star grading is due to the standard of the room. We had the inclusive breakfast which was standard self service buffet fare. Perfect for the morning after.

"Punching above its weight! "
fader_monkey, 06 Juillet 2019

This hotel is totally unable to justify their nightly price tag. No air conditioning, stains all over the carpets, mould in the bathroom, the creakiest floorboards I've ever heard and doors slamming all night long. The breakfast is ok but overall not good enough. I've stayed at much nicer premiere inns for a fraction of the cost. Not horrendous but not up to scratch for the totally inflated price tag.

"Excellent Hotel"
Brian038, 25 Juin 2019

We arrived in a heavy rainstorm and it was lovely to have a nice airy and quiet room at the back of the hotel. The receptionist was very polite and welcoming. The room was very good no fault good be found with it. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of hot and cold. The staff on duty went to a lot of trouble to explain where everything was. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this hotel.

"Welcoming hotel in a good location"
Loula287, 24 Juin 2019

Warm welcome as always at the BW Rochingham. Location is close to lots of nearby attractions, things to do etc. Room adequate for a comfortable stay. Staff freindly and helpful as always. Good selection at buffet breakfast.

"Honest"
Navigator20554049742, 22 Juin 2019

Nothing that wrong but could be better ,bed was not very comfortable room very dated carpet and curtains cleaning was ok but could have been to a better standard .breakfast was very good and all staff very nice

"Great service"
DebByrne, 16 Juin 2019

Everyone was extremely helpful. I liked that Best Western are attempting to help the environment with glass bottles of water (given to us for our room with no charge) and bottled milk for breakfast. Hope other chain hotels can do the same.

"Sons Christening - Would definitely recommend!!"
Amy_Walton1991, 05 Juin 2019

We had our sons Christening at the hotel last weekend and had a wonderful day. We had full use of the restaurant and gardens for the afternoon which was perfect for this type of occasion. The food was excellent - many of our guests commented how lovely the food had been, I should have just asked if it could have been served a little sooner on arrival as we were starving, my fault! The hotel is beautifully decorated and was a perfect location for the big day. We've had 2 or 3 family occasions here now and always receive brilliant service from Kayleigh who is their events co-ordinator. She's extremely professional and always so helpful, she makes sure everything is well organised to take the stress away from you on the day. I would highly recommend Kayleigh and the hotel team. Many thanks for everything!!

"I really loved the hotel. Fantastic hotel, great service, great food too. Would recommend. Great value for money"
Monica B, 31 Mai 2019

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in I really enjoyed every bit of my stay from location, to check in, stay and check out. The rooms were brilliant, services good and breakfast lovely. Stayed with the kids and they were so wowed by everything knowing that my kids are usually hard to impress. I did find it pricey but at the end it was good value for money I would definitely be staying again.

"Great Best Western hotel"
Deborah C, 30 Mai 2019

This is the second time we have visited this specific hotel and we would not hesitate to visit again. On both occasions we have extended our visit and although the room we stayed in this time could benefit from a little TLC, the room was very clean and the overall experience was great. The staff are all very welcoming and friendly and the food is delicious. Thank you for another great break.

"Wedding gift"
garethaggett, 29 Mai 2019

A gift voucher for two nights happily accepted by the hotel for a Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday nights. Bar prices reasonable, all you could want for breakfast without the offer being (and priced for) over the top, dinner both nights very good quality and beautifully presented. Attractive expansive open public areas with a number of tables and chairs also in their own small areas. Grounds outside kept in apple pie order and we thought eminently suitable for weddings, family or group gatherings. All well thought out.

"Could be better "
87sheridanc, 29 Mai 2019

We had a buy a gift voucher from our sons , we upgraded to a superior room for an extra £20 a night Room was a lovely size room , nicely decorated with a lovely big bed. Which sadly had 4 or 5 long dark hairs in and flat pillows. The bathroom had a bath with a nice big shower over it. But sadly the bathroom floor had a lot of short dark hairs on it. The breakfast was lovely , lots to choose from hot and cold. Good room service for a late night sandwich. All the staff are nice and friendly..

"Second visit to this lovely hotel"
JannyBrads, 22 Mai 2019

We visited here last year and liked it so much that we planned this return visit for our anniversary. As ever, the staff were friendly. Our room was spacious and clean with a huge TV and a huge, comfy bed. The only downside was that the pillows were very flat and uncomfortable. Maybe time for some new ones!

"Top value"
Curiosity44192326602, 20 Mai 2019

I can recommend anyone looking for a hotel in the Corby area to stay here. The room was excellent for the price: clean, well furnished and comfortable. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel cos we were visiting family a couple of streets away. We will definitely stay there again.

"Excellent "
JHawkins1962, 18 Mai 2019

This Hotel is one of the best that my husband and I have stayed in. Easy to find which is always a bonus. Lovely big twin room with plenty of space. Dinner was very good and restaurant staff very friendly and attentive. As for the breakfast - well it was amazing. Lovely Lincolnshire sausages and proper bacon etc. Very good choice of quality produce. Would definitely stay again and will recommend to anyone looking to stay in this area

"Line Dance Weekend"
mandbt, 04 Mai 2019

This is a really nice hotel set back from a main road and really easy to find. We stayed as part of a large dance group. The check-in process was very quick and straightforward, so we soon got to our room. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable which we think are important things to consider. The quality of the food was great; we had a lovely evening meal and very nice breakfasts. The evening meals were served at the table (with being part of a large group, we were given the menu earlier in the day and asked to make our meal selection), so everything was served as you had chosen. The breakfasts were buffet style with plenty of choice. There was also a very nice bar where you could also order a good selection of food for lunchtime snacks if required. All the staff we encountered were very pleasant and helpful. When it came time to leave, as with the check-in, the check-out was quick and straightforward. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you to all involved for making our stay so enjoyable.

"A Quick Break"
TimothyC1303, 01 Mai 2019

We went for what we hoped would be a reatsful 2 days and we were certainly not disappointed. The hotel was really very nice and the staff courteous and professional. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The room was very clean and comfortable indeed. All in all we enjoyed the break we had hoped for.

"Line dance break"
Sue B, 29 Avril 2019

Really enjoyed my stay at the hotel over the weekend. The staff were really friendly and welcoming and Gavin went above and beyond in all he did, he seemed to be everywhere at every time day or night, he is a treasure. We had a room on the ground floor overlooking the car park and it was a lovely room, very clean & tidy and nice to have mugs in the room instead of the little cups you usually get. The food was really good too both breakfast and evening meal.

"Weekend of line dancing 26 27 28 April 2019"
hollypboro, 28 Avril 2019

I have been to the hotel many times for a dance night . But this time I decided to book in for the weekend ,as I wanted to find out about the service ,food and all that goes with a stay there. Couldn't fault it at all ,the food was excellent ,the room very clean, the bed really comfortable ,the dance floor was very good for dancing on ,really well looked after , and as for the staff nothing is too much trouble ,helpful ,polite , curtious .and as for the manager Gavin he works so hard to please everybody .really enjoyed my stay there one very satisfied customer anniee buckman .

"lovely staff"
wendy p, 23 Avril 2019

Stayed here over Easter as part of a tour group. A nice welcome on arrival. The hotel is on 2 floors but no lift up to the upper floor. My room over looked the car park and main road but it wasn't noisy. A nice large double room with safe, iron and board, plenty of hangers and storage plus tea and coffee. Bathroom nicely designed but had a ceiling shower in the bath - not keen prefer one on the wall. The bath did have grab rails. A heated towel rail, also a bath slip mat available. No air con in the bedrooms, but a heater in the wardrobe. Dinner was good, plenty of choice, hot plates and good portions. BF more hot plates and a good selection of hot food, choice of cereals and yogurts. Clearing service from the staff was good. Outside are nice gardens to relax in with a drink and listen to the birds. All staff served us well and came to wave to us as we left. A nice weekend.

"Excellent"
Jim16900, 20 Avril 2019

We stayed in a double superior room last week. Firstly I want to say how improved the hotel is since our last stay. The rooms were immaculate, very clean and comfy! Food was excellent. All staff are superb and everybody goes out of their way to help. Our housekeeper was there every day over our 3 day stay and she was just excellent. The room looked brand new every day, she was so friendly & upbeat. A real refreshing experience. We will definitely be back. Thank you

"corby hotel"
Darren D, 15 Avril 2019

good clean rooms food of a good standard fair price , good clean rooms, friendly polite staff, good pillows , fast broadband , good food fair price for a hotel close to the work place i was visiting , free parking on site easy check in and out , not sure if my points were added on my last stay, but anybody who stays at the best western regulary get your self a points card , the points soon add up

"great weekend"
Hazel M, 15 Avril 2019

Stayed for the weekend, nice clean rooms, comfy bed, pleasant staff and most importantly the food was a GREAT improvement on last year's. Thoroughly enjoyed it especially when the manager gave us an impromptu Neil Diamond song at our do on Friday night. Great fun.

"Clean Hotel, very friendly staff, good food"
Carole P, 14 Avril 2019

I found this Hotel to be very clean with friendly staff who could not do enough for you. The rooms and bed were very comfortable and warm. The food was most enjoyable and it has a lovely ballroom with a decent size floor, it would be an ideal place for a wedding or just a stopover for a night or two.

"Great rest"
debbieklewis, 09 Avril 2019

I stayed here for a "me" time. Lovely baths, quick to run. Clean, tidy and great service. Tidy hotel and friendly staff . Discreet service on day use bookings. Good restaurant service and great choice of food.

"Sunday breakfast"
Shaun H, 08 Avril 2019

I would like the thank the staff at the great western corby 9 of us turned up on Sunday 7th April for breakfast before fishing the eyebrook on our AAFFF all abilities friendly fly fishers get together. The staff were so helpful to us and buffet breakfast was first class Thanks again Shaun and all that attended for breakfast see you again soon.

"Large rooms and quite"
jinty1970, 08 Avril 2019

Stayed for two nights. First impression was that the room was large but basic. Just basic tea/coffee facilities. Toiletries is soap/shampoo combo liquid that is attached to the wall. Ok for washing your hands but I won't wash my hair with it. Very cheap way to provide toiletries. Plastic disposal cups in the bathroom which isn't very environmentally friendly. Glass ones would have been better. Otherwise room is clean and I was at the back of the hotel which was quite.

"Superb hotel"
KBeardsley, 07 Avril 2019

I stay in hotels 4 days a week and trust me, I know what good is like. This is an excellent hotel, with fabulous food and superb service. The rooms are very nice indeed and we chose the 4 poster that was in actual fact a suite. It was brilliant with a 60 inch TV, Jacuzzi bath and a powerful shower with piping hot water. Free parking that was plentiful. Took my wife away for her anniversary and so pleased I chose this hotel. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

"Good value hotel"
723bernardc, 03 Avril 2019

Good value hotel with clean rooms and some great staff well worth a stay. We had 2 nights but would have been happy top spend longer in this room, Very nice pups near this hotel and well worth a five minute walk.

"Hotel"
Voyage64149668893, 02 Avril 2019

Nice friendly staff. Hotel was nice and welcoming and very well decorated reception bar and seating areas were nice and spacious. Restaurant food was delicious and staff very helpful. A very enjoyable and comfortable stay.

"Nice hotel"
70katrinac, 01 Avril 2019

May seem boring but my word to describe this hotel is nice, it's nothing extraordinary, it's nice, clean rooms, very comfy bed, annoyingly you can't have the bathroom light on without the fan probably the only thing that actually bothered either me or my partner Lol so toilet in the dark during the night. Bathroom nice, floor tiles could do with replacing and bathroom sink tap to make it look a little more appealing. Breakfast was lovely and good value at £6, Staff very friendly and I would stay again at this nice hotel if I were ever in the area again

"Another lovely stay"
_aqnz95, 19 Mars 2019

This was our second stay at this hotel and many improvements have been made since our previous one and this still appears to be ongoing with the fitting of safety deposit boxes in the rooms. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Although we didn't use it, the free mobile phone was an excellent idea for those not familiar with the area. The breakfasts çwere varied and plentiful. We also also ate in the restaurant, which was delicious. Staff were helpful and friendly. There was plenty of parking space. On a personal note, the only thing l would have liked would have been some sort of hose attachment in the bathroom for a quick hair wash rather than having to completely shower or resort to using the tea mug. We would recommend this hotel.

"Pleasant stay"
David J, 19 Mars 2019

This hotel is in a convenient location, there's good parking, the rooms are large and well-appointed and there's good WiFi. Breakfast jolly good. Evening meal perfectly fine. For a business stay this was a very good hotel to choose. Very pleased

"Spacious, refurbished room with hekpful staff"
Ray W, 12 Mars 2019

Stayed for two nights on a Buy a Gift package Bed & Breakfast. A lovely room with large curved tv. Kind size bed. with breakfast included which was also excellent. The hotel was large on the inside and undergoing a facelift.

"Very pleasant stay"
Paul C, 07 Mars 2019

I have stayed a few times over the past few months and always been very satisfied with the overall experience friendly service from stall and very good food in the bar and restaurant would highly recommend

"Highly recommended!!"
B1357OVrogerf, 28 Février 2019

We visited this hotel back in 2017, and once again we were very impressed. The cleanliness of the hotel was first class, as was our room, which had now been fitted with a safe. The food was excellent and plentiful. More importantly true to the manager's feedback following our comments after our last visit, the hotel has increased the wine list, which goes to show the hotel listens to its customers. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

"Weekend Stay"
dodi70, 17 Février 2019

I recently Stayed at this hotel whilst visiting friends. I found it to be clean, comfortable and well presented. Staff were eager to please and very helpful. The restaurant had a good selection of food with a range of prices and the quality of the food was excellent. Rooms were clean and well equipped and facilities were as described on the website. I would definitely stay at this hotel again in the future.

"Wonderful hotel"
Maggie1132_13, 12 Février 2019

The hotel and staff are wonderful. They cannot do enough to help. They remember me from my last visit and give me the same room. The rooms are great and really clean. There are lots of places to visit nearby.

"Did what it said on the tin."
karensF9193FD, 11 Février 2019

Nice clean hotel very modern. Lovely staff especially the youngest barman. He is a people person. Breakfast was plenty full but cooked breakfast help yourself was dry. Good value for money lots of parking. Bar meals very very nice well presented, good portion size. Quick and tasty. I think that you could have a mug for coffee as well as cups some people prefer a larger coffee mug. I would of liked to have seen the little milk bottles on the table in the fridge until you arrive at your table just a hygiene thing as no lid on bottle and it gets warm. All in all a very nice experience with great staff nothing to much trouble.

"7th Annual Family Gathering"
kcpvwill, 07 Février 2019

It was lovely to be back at Rockingham and to see the improvements since our last visit. The staff is always delightful and those who have met us before always remember us. From booking to check out and all aspects in between, we were looked after extremely well. We were a party of 20 having a very late Christmas get together. We usually do this in January but as we needed several interconnecting rooms we had to move to February this year because of our commitments and hotel room availability. When the staff learned that this was our Christmas celebration they made the table for dinner really special with decorations, crackers and sweetie boxes. Thanks to Gavin for this extra touch which was appreciated by all. The menu gave us all something to choose from and we could mix and match from the bar and restaurant menus. The gluten free options for two of the party and vegan/vegetarian options for two others gave plenty of choice. Catering for the off menu requests for the children was no problem either. (Carrot and cucumber stick starters and bowls of custard puddings were supplied without a problem) As we come from all over the country for this gathering Corby is an ideal place so that no one has to travel too far. The communal areas are really suitable for a large group like ours and the children are well catered for. As this is our 7th visit for this Rockingham is getting things right!

"Short notice overnight stay."
Escape08190957028, 06 Février 2019

This was a short notice overnight stay. Through Booking.com I booked a suite at a very reasonable price. The room was very well appointed, spacious and comfortable. It is a shame I was only staying for the one night. It would be an ideal room for a couples special occasion.

"Much improved"
C0untrymusicl0ver, 02 Février 2019

This hotel has undergone a massive refurbishment and looks modern with contemporary decor in all the public areas. New restaurant manager Gavin was on call all weekend and ensured we had all we needed. Food service was a little slow and the food is adequate with a varied menu. Buffet style breakfast and serve yourself for hot breakfast. Large selection available. Just wish they would serve pots of tea and coffee at the table and also toast, rather than having to queue to toast your own. The rooms are all of a high standard and comfortable. Plenty of hot water. Downside is no lift as only on two floors. The stairs are incredibly steep. Plenty of ground floor easy access rooms with walk in showers. We stayed in His Lordships Suite which is just at the top of the stairs and is traditionally decorated with oak panelled walls. Massive room wirh bedroom and lounge and equally massive bathroom with corner Jacuzzi bath and separate shower.

"Huge Improvement."
Paul R, 02 Février 2019

This was the second time we have stayed at The Western for a ballroom dance weekend and this visit was a huge improvement on last years. The room had been refurbished and was very clean and tidy. The bed was very comfortable and we slept like logs. The food was much improved but my only criticism would be about the speed of delivering the food to each table. It seemed very haphazard and definitely lacking coherent organisation.

"Line Dance Weekend"
JackieC52, 01 Février 2019

First of all, a big thank you to all the staff who were unfailingly polite and helpful. The room was clean and a decent size, and the food was of a very good standard. The only criticism, and hope this is seen as constructive, is that the meal service was on the slow side. Think the hotel needs to invest in some trollies and to serve table by table, as we had our vegetables over five minutes before our plates arrived.

"TT weekender "
petersU5698ND, 31 Janvier 2019

This hotel is awesome. I love the rooms and the staff are fantastic. Always friendly and always bend over backwards to help. I have roughly 120 guests with me And very rarely complain and I always use this hotel every year. And booked for the next 3yrs. Food is excellent.

"Brilliant weekend the staff were very friendly and couldnt do enough for you"
Clivesue2, 30 Janvier 2019

Excellent weekend staff very helpful service a little slow but they were serving a full dining room all at once so only to be expected. Food was great we really enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean always hot water. Lovely king size comfortable bed

"Bad food even worse service"
Scenic11543886422, 24 Janvier 2019

Stayed here 21st to 25th Jan to be honest I wouldn't stay here again the food is barely warm when you get it had a mixed grill delivered to my room and was stone cold rang reception to complain they fetched it back then within 10 minutes were back with it obviously not freshly made oh no warmed back up fried egg was like rubber mushrooms still cold and meat still barely warm and very very greasy not worth the money charged for it. The only good thing about this hotel is the room cleaner and the check out won't be stopping here again at a charge of 476 for 4 nights

"Brief stay"
Nigel781, 11 Janvier 2019

Unfortunately this visit was as a result of attending a funeral but proved to be as pleasant as my previous ones. Good food, comfortable/clean accommodation, very friendly and helpful staff, a reasonable price - same as always. Be back, hopefully, in April when fishing rather than a less pleasurable reason for staying.

"Perfect place to unwind"
John S, 15 Décembre 2018

Stayed at the hotel for work as it was just around the corner. First impressions were good. Lots of parking and a large modern reception area. Check in was hassle free and the room offered was of a very good standard. Even had a pod coffee machine. The food in the bar was plentiful and very tasty. The bed was comfortable and i had a great nights sleep. All in all a very good stay.

"Friendly staff and good hotel"
garyandjoan, 09 Décembre 2018

A warm welcome from Leeann, and although I had made an error in my booking, it was sorted out with no fuss at all. The hotel,is being renovated, and is still operational and that should not deter anyone from making a booking. Situated a 40 minute walk from town centre. Rooms are comfortable, the breakfast is really nice, good selection for hot or cold option. We ate Friday night in the restaurant the food was good and the waitress Sophie, was so efficient and pleasant. All staff are so nice and friendly- even the decorator was a jolly chap! We would definitely stay at this BW again.

"Weekend birthday get together"
miles2152016, 07 Décembre 2018

Brilliant welcome. Problems solved within an hour. Happy and outgoing staff. All queries answered quickly. Hi there again. The location of the hotel was easy to finf. Great parking and easy access. Bar service very giid. Morning breakfast - easy access and no waiting for self service. Quality - good.

"Excellent meals "
RAGINA, 30 Novembre 2018

Stayed here a couple of times for business purposes. The staff are professional and tge rooms have been refurbished. The corridors are being redecorated at the moment. Looks like the bar and restaurant has been done already. Had a good few nights sleep. Breakfast is a buffet and of reasonable quality. Evening meals are very tasty with ample helpings.

"Lovely Hotel"
Roger W, 09 Novembre 2018

Had a lovely 2 day stay, clean well maintained property, staff were welcoming, friendly and professional, food was great, room was large with a new HD tv, plenty of parking spaces. Close to town and other eateries and only a short drive to Rutland. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

"Single night in Corby"
chrisbradley1966, 09 Novembre 2018

Having stayed here previously i knew what i was getting a decent hotel with decent food a generally friendly staff, i wasn't disappointed and will stay here next time I'm in thr area. I would say there's some small extras in the rooms that would help such as complimentary water, without having to ask for it

"Average "
menryhole, 06 Novembre 2018

Nice lobby and bar area. This has been refurbished. The lighting in the bar and restaurant is far too bright and harsh. I asked for them to turn them down but the staff couldn't. I ended up leaving to a local put because of this. It was unbearable to sit in. The rooms up stairs haven't been refurbished yet and they really need too. It's a shame how all the rooms down stairs have nice coffee machines but up stair don't! I can't stand instant coffee. No AC in my room! I had to ask for fans! Not acceptable for such a big hotel chain. The radiators made a banging noises in the night. Didn't sleep well. All staff were very friendly and professional. I wouldn't aim to stay here again or until they have refurbished all rooms.

"looks great but poor"
robert b, 06 Novembre 2018

look beyond the initial look and its tired and we ended up changing rooms and even the room was not good had the managment didnt help not impressed with this place ended up going to indian restaurant nearby wont be returning unless well updated and sorted

"Call from a cousin!"
enidg2015, 04 Novembre 2018

My husband's cousin had booked a stall at the Art and Craft Fair held in the hotel today. We popped over to see him and his wife. What a disappointment, there were very few people attending. Three of us went into the hotel for a cup of coffee. It had changed immensely from my previous visit when I had lunch there almost twenty years or more ago. I was visually impressed by he decocor of the lounge area and I could see through the window at the restaurant. Sadly, the clientele currently enjoying themselves and who had until we arrived, had the lounge to themselves, were getting more enebriated and louder and louder. I have never heard such a noise in an hotel lounge, sprinkled with bad language. No way of knowing if they were residents or locals but we will not be returning!! No staff asked them to tone the noise down or mind the language. We would have had lunch there but this was a big turn off! Very sorry but get this sorted ASAP.

"bit hit and miss this time"
Hazel M, 30 Octobre 2018

Have stayed at this hotel several times, this time was a bit hit and miss. Food is usually very good but Friday night meal (liver & onions) was cremated! I'm surprised they served it. I complained but didn't even receive an apology. There was no heating in some rooms on my corridor, but mine was fine although very noisy when it came on. Otherwise, staff pleasant, room clean and comfy, ballroom floor excellent.

"Good hotel"
Karen P, 23 Octobre 2018

Picked this hotel as it was close to an event we were attending at the Rockingham Speedway. Room was spacious and clean as were the public areas. Dinner from the bar menu was lovely with generous portions leaving us comfortably full. Breakfast was also very good with plenty to choose from. The only complaint was that our room was chilly. I don't mind a cool bedroom but this was a little too cool. The heating was difficult to control and we also heard other guests say their rooms were cold, so perhaps this is something to look at. Overall, a good stay and would stay again.

"Reasonable Hotel Ideally Located for Visits to Area."
Roger P, 14 Octobre 2018

My wife and I selected this hotel as a base to explore English Heritage sites in the area. This was by a two nights accommodation only gift voucher from our family. We upgraded to a better room which was large having a king-sized bed, coffee machine with pods, the usual kettle with tea/coffee satchets, safe in the wardrobe, etc. The room also had a large curved screen SMART television - which wasn't so smart as many channels we like to watch had no signals. Also, the remote control failed during our visit. The bathroom had a large shower head over the bath which was non-adjustable but the gel dispenser was empty. Shower caps could be collected from reception as could a shower mat for the bath. Not good customer service to have to do this The buffet breakfast was very good with a nice selection of food to choose from, costing £9. Dinner was less attractive with no real options for those who could not have dairy products (lactose free only) or had other dietary requirements as did my wife. On the second evening the chef did come to see my wife to sort out what she could eat from the menu with suitable alterations being made. The meal was very limited in it's appeal, however. Overall a reasonable stay experienced at this hotel which we would probably not revisit.

"Worst hotel ever "
Rothstar72, 07 Octobre 2018

Booked a family room for a wedding. Absolutely disgusting, room was dirty, cramped and the fourth bed was a camp bed. Room was freezing so had to use a filthy smelly blanket that was stored in the wardrobe. Glad I only paid £85 and not the asking price on the hotels website. The worst hotel I've ever stayed in and will not be returning.

"Highly recommended"
David T, 01 Octobre 2018

Really comfortable well equipped rooms. Excellent breakfast. Staff very attentive, helpful and friendly. Public areas modern and attractive. Location very good for Corby, Rockingham motor speedway and pleasant surrounding areas.

"Nice hotel"
Anne P, 27 Septembre 2018

Stayed here en route on a tour to see the flying Scotsman, nice clean modern hotel, staff very friendly and helpful.Evening meal was ok..although the broccoli looked a bit sorry for itself!! Lovely breakfast though.Would recommend.

"Weekend away"
JannyBrads, 23 Septembre 2018

We chose this hotel because we wanted to explore Rutland Water which is a short drive away. Impressed from the start. Clean and modern decor, friendly and helpful staff. Our room was spotless with a huge bed and a huge telly! They provide a mobile phone which is full of info for visitors to the area. A packed lunch can also be ordered which is excellent if you're going exploring. The on-site bar and restaurant is very spacious. The breakfast was amazing. Lots of choice and cooked beautifully. We ate in the bar area and the portions were large and very tasty. Our only small criticism is that the menu for the restaurant was a bit high end - things like wood pigeon and calves liver. Not our cup of tea, otherwise we would have chosen to eat in the restaurant. All in all a fabulous stay and we will most definitely return.

"Weekend Break"
JuliaK64, 17 Septembre 2018

We stayed for two nights to attend a friends wedding locally, on arrival we were warmly greeted and checked in. Our room was spacious, clean and bright, it overlooked to lovely rear garden, where they host weddings. All the staff we had dealings with were friendly and helpful and willing to assist in any way they could. Breakfast was fantastic, with plenty of choice.

"Great Place and Staff"
Gary R, 16 Septembre 2018

This is a great hotel, we stayed overnight and was made welcome by all the staff who are very friendly, Lunch , dinner and breakfast we could not fault and room was clean and very good standard Corridors are being painted to reflect the good upkeep of the building and common areas would go again.

"Good value and pleasant stay"
Edward B, 11 Septembre 2018

Nice meal and good value, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality and price of the bottle of shiraz we had with our dinner. The waitress was charming, helpful and friendly. The room and bed were clean and comfortable. Some public areas need a lick of paint but it looked like areas were being prepared to be painted.

"Good as a base"
Liz S, 09 Septembre 2018

Got given a 2 night with breakfast voucher, chose this location as near family. Very modern inside. Staff are friendly. Room was nice, clean, lovely waterfall shower. Only thing that let it down was the bed wasn't mad properly...breakfast is buffet style...great choice from cereal to full English..tasty and hot. We ate in the restaurant on the first night....portions are big..but was tasty. In all a very nice hotel

"Weekend Break"
deedee648, 29 Août 2018

A nice hotel to have a quiet break. The reception staff's are all friendly and willing to help. It's a nice and clean hotel, as you stepped into the hotel you have that "welcoming feeling" that make you feel at home. You have to try it to know what I'm talking about.

"Two very good days"
leroy d, 25 Août 2018

I just got back from two lovely days at the Best Western Rockingham Forest Hotel I stayed there with my family and I was very pleased with the cleanness of the hotel the room was very tidy and clean breakfast was very good and dinner very good also.

"Great overnight stay"
Stephen S, 20 Août 2018

One night stay so we could attend a wedding locally and really surprised by the quality of the hotel - open and airy, plenty of facilitie, good sized twin room, comfortable bed, a good breakfast - and plenty of car parking.

"2 night stay"
John M, 20 Août 2018

We stayed at this hotel and had a enjoyable stay the room was of a good size which was clean and light it over looked the car park on the second floor it had a flat screen tv and tea coffee making facilities the buffet breakfast was superb a full English fruit cereals yogurt pastries you won't leave feeling hungry. The hotel is about 2 mile from corny centre and a short walk to the castle there are a couple of pubs 10 minutes walk away along rockingham road

"Good voucher break"
rovingranger, 19 Août 2018

We stayed a Friday and Saturday night , the room was very spacious and clean , the bed was huge and comfortable and the shower ,a rainfall shower amazing , all of this was in excess of what we expected as it looks quite dated outside. Breakfast on both days was very good , a good choice of items for hot breakfast and friendly staff. Only disappointments were there are no lifts and as half the tooms are on the first floor , then it's a steep walk , and the bar area is not great. We went out to the Wetherspoons which is less than 10 minutes walk. Loads of parking available at the hotel.

We stayed here at the end of July for 2 nights. We had a fantastic stay, the car park was great, always had a space available. Check in was quick and smooth with friendly staff, food in the restaurant was tasty and the bar staff were excellent! The only thing that lets the hotel down is the lack of air conditioning in the majority of the rooms, our first night was unbearably hot to the point where we considered booking into another hotel. This was resolved on the second night by the provision of a fan by the lovely hotel staff! The room was clean and very comfortable to! I would definitely recommend this hotel to others, but I really feel each room needs to have air conditioning (I realise this is costly) in order to be a truly fantastic place to stay! :) Hope to stay again in the future :)

"Always a good choice"
William H, 11 Août 2018

As hotels goes I found this one up to the standard I look for when staying away from home. There was ample parking and the staff were helpful and polite with a smile when they dealt with you. The restaurant was clean with helpful staff and the food was well cooked and hot. The room was quiet and had a comfortable double bed and the shower had plenty of hot water and there was ample supply of towels. all in all an enjoyable experience.

Had a lovely weekend at the Best Western Rockingham Forest. Everything from check in with 2 very helpful and cheerful staff (Robyn & Leanne) to friendly bar staff and excellent chef!! Our evening meal was both plentiful and delicious. The breakfast did not disappoint either with good selection of both cold and hot. Would definitely stay again thank you all

"Good value for money"
scallopwildmushroom, 06 Août 2018

I found this hotel to be clean and friendly, and ideally located for visiting some of the pretty surrounding villages and attractions including Rutland Water, Foxton Locks, and the various stately homes/castles. Nice and spacious common areas for family gatherings. Most satisfactory buffet breakfasts, but be careful if anyone has serious allergies as this is one area where they need to focus and train their staff.

"Fantastic weekend"
Karen C, 06 Août 2018

We had a 2 night buy a gift voucher, and chose Corby to visit friends. The Rockingham Forest Hotel was excellent. The room was clean, the bathroom was lovely. Huge comfortable bed, tv, complimentary phone (but we didn't use it), hair dryer, tea/coffee making. The staff were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. The weekend we stayed was very hot, so they provided a fan for us, which cooled us down. The breakfast was delicious, lovely and fresh and hot

Jeremy B, 04 Août 2018

Stayed here for my husbands birthday for 3 nights. The hotel was lovely as were the staff. They were very helpful and friendly. Special thanks to nick on the bar who suggested many different gins to try and Gemma in the restaurant who went out of her way to get a small birthday cake for my husband. The food is very good but the portions are very big, so much that we were unable to finish our meals. Decided on the last night to have a starter and a dessert and skipped the mains altogether. This was much better. The only down side was that a lot of the historical sites nearby only opened on certain days and they were not open during our stay. Otherwise we had a lovely stay.

"Brilliant!!!!!"
Auri-Auri, 28 Juillet 2018

We were booked in to this Hotel as part of a coach holiday. Booking in was fast, cup of tea waiting for us while cases were taken to rooms. I requested an extra pillow, a fan, as temperature was 28 degrees, and bedside light that was not working------ all fixed in about fifteen minutes!!!! Staff where all attentive, polite and efficient, food was wonderful, and huge portions were served both for evening meals and self-service breakfast. Lovely comfy beds too.

"A great place to stay!"
Chris H, 26 Juillet 2018

We were very happy with our 2 day stay at this Hotel. Our double bedroom was large, with a king size very comfortable bed, also very clean! We enjoyed having a very large flatscreen TV! The dining room was lovely and large and looked very new, we had our breakfasts and 2 evening meals there. Breakfasts were serve yourself with a good choices of cereals, fruits, yoghurts bread, jams etc. There was a good choice of cooked breakfast, which was cooked perfectly! Our two evening meals were of a very high standard, with a good and varied Menu. When our evening meals arrived they were presented very well too. We were very full after our meals as they were very large servings!! We did loose one of our door opening cards.....however the receptionist said, 'Not to worry your not the first to loose one. Very friendly receptionists and all other staff. We would definitely stay at this hotel again if we were to travel to the Corby area again!! Cindy

Great hotel for money, very clean. Breakfast was amazing great sleep & Simone the member of staff was amazing. Would come back again.was lovely catching up with family.Even tho we did book a travel cot the hotel staff sorted it out with no problems.

"Room a bit dated"
LesGUk, 18 Juillet 2018

Large hotel, check in fine, room spacious, clean, large curved TV. The hotel looks better from the outside than in the room, it has the feel of an older hotel with chipped paintwork, old furniture etc. Certainly our room needed a refurb. No air con or fan in room so needed window open which was noisy with traffic. Buffet breakfast was superb, dinner menus looked appealing with several unexpected dishes on there but we ate dinner out while visiting relatives. Perfect hotel for a few nights if in the area. At the roundabout near the hotel if you turn right there is a Weatherspoons, Hungry Horse, Greggs, Subway and a Dominos pizza. You can walk there but it's quite a stroll.

"very nice surrounding "
James C, 14 Juillet 2018

stayed here for 3 nights. actually one of the best best westerns. lovely large room great shower over bath .there was a family day on the sat and sun England in the world cup kids enjoying the really nice gardens . fish *chips in the restaurant was great .all the staff reception bar/waiting fantastic and a credit to this place and Dug the night Porter. my only downside was the traffic bit noisey from main Rd in morning. £6 taxi to corby centre, wife left phone in taxi never to be returned . so good luck to cretin that kept it. Stay again oh yes well done the great staff

"Obviously redecorating, it was going on around you."
BCAandJMA, 11 Juillet 2018

I'll get this gripe out of the way first. The hallway outside our room (201) was being decorated when we were there. I know the hotel was busy as it had 2 wedding parties staying there over the weekend, but I feel they should have just taken 1 floor of the wing out of action for a couple of days whilst decorating. Plus side, the guy decorating was polite and friendly We stayed 29th+30th of June Good bits...Our room, lovely, a little warm in the hot weather. But huge bed, powerful rain forest shower head, plenty of hot water. Big fluffy towels. Small problem with that sort of shower head, hard to just wash hair, unless you decide to take a full shower. Bad bits....Floor boards creaked, no matter how you tried to avoid them. Bathroom needs a further coat of gloss paint around the door, shower head had some kind of blue gel on it, de-scaler? Ceiling above bath showing signs of mould. Snoring passes through the walls/floor, be lucky !! Breakfast on both Sat and Sunday was filling, tasty and plentiful, waiting staff prompt to ensure the table did not get cluttered with rubbish/dirty plates. Location very handy if you want to walk to Rockingham Castle, Corby Rugby Club etc Easy to find Overall, we'd stay there again if there was a good deal on the price.

"Good Value Venue for a break"
AP4948, 11 Juillet 2018

A party of 8 of went for a 2 night break dinner B&B . Food and service were very good with all staff being very friendly & helpful . Good location convenient for many sites including Rutland Water and surrounding area.

"Excellent customer service."
DennisCardiff, 11 Juillet 2018

We have been coming to this hotel for a number of years now. We stayed for one night in one of their superior rooms. Our room had been redecorated, air conditioning and was spotlessly clean. The quality of the staff as usual was first class. Lydia in particular was excellent. The food was plentiful and very good. This is a three star hotel, which would put many four star hotel to shame. Keep it up. We are returning to stay this Friday.

"surprise visit."
Gillian R, 10 Juillet 2018

Booked into TBW Rockingham in Corby for a few nights to visit family. Lovely welcome by the receptionist, easy book in system and directions to our room. Really good size room, nicely decorated , spotlesly clean with tea and coffee facilities. The view from our window was out the back and onto the wedding venue, there must have been something on as there was a blow up bouncy castle and slide, but we were not bothered by any noise . A really good menu and the food was excellent , as was the service. I must say that the bed was one of the most comfortable beds we've slept on (top marks) Breakfast in the morning catered for every taste, 1st class. Overall a really nice hotel with lovely staff and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and will use again.

"DIY Visit"
Neil H, 05 Juillet 2018

Selected this hotel based on proximity to a property we rent in the area. Tenants had requested some work! Arrived on a Friday night in the middle of a school prom. I have to say as a hotel that has a function suite the design is ideal, the suite is away from the majority of the rooms meaning no noise can be heard. Restaurant menu is impressive and good value, I can recommend the Black pudding starter and seared calves liver main. Good selection at Breakfast, friendly welcoming staff. Stayed in a basic room which is perfectly adequate, king size bed, bath with overhead shower.

"Superb weekend"
Hilary R, 03 Juillet 2018

We booked a two night break with a ‘Buy a Gift voucher' which cost £75 for a 2 night stay with full English breakfast on both mornings. When I booked they only had a twin room and I commented that it was a shame as it was my wedding anniversary. When we arrived two lovely young ladies were on the reception desk. We booked in and were told that we had been up graded as it was our wedding anniversary. How lovely! Our room had a super long bed, waterfall shower over the bath, coffee machine and a gadget to find places of interest. Breakfast was excellent with everything you expect, all freshly stocked. The grounds were beautifully manicured with a pagoda on a raised decked area decorated for a wedding later that day. It was a glorious setting. We had a wonderful break and worked out it cost us £18.55 each per night. The staff were welcoming, polite and very helpful. Highly recommended.

"Two nigh break here"
bdon257, 30 Juin 2018

Two of us enjoyed a bargain priced, discount voucher, two night stay here. The room was on the first floor overlooking the rear gardens and clean comfortable and well equipped. The heat this week highlighted the need for air conditioning or fans in each room. (We found out later we could have requested a fan). Breakfast was buffet style in a lovely dining room overlooking the rear gardens. Food was good and the buffet was frequently replenished. We did not eat in at night so cannot comment on the evening meals. Bar prices were reasonable and Doom bar was on tap. Our complaint was one of appalling wifi, with no usable service for the first 24 hours. I was eventually given a totally different access code and the wifi was good with decent speed. The rear gardens mainly lawns are set out for weddings etc. A well placed hotel for visiting this part of the county.

"Clean and comfortable "
Jill A, 28 Juin 2018

We stayed two nights using buy a gift de luxe token. Very quiet room overlooking outdoor seating area. Not sure what we got for de luxe, possibly smart phone we didn't use or coffee machine like the one we use at home. We had to pay £40 extra as we were there on a Saturday night. Everybody got free breakfast. We had a bar meal on Friday and my ‘marinated ‘ lamb chops were so tough they were inedible. I do still have all my own teeth. Bar staff very helpful and refunded cost. I had prawn cocktail instead. On Saturday we decided not to chance the restaurant as it was possibly same chef so we went to village Sondes Arms and had an excellent meal served by delightful staff. We would use hotel again for an overnight stop. Hotel breakfast good.

"Poor service and shocking WiFi"
Jacob F, 25 Juin 2018

The only hotel I have ever visited where the kitchen stopped taking orders beacue they were busy. 30 minute wait to order the food then another 45 mind it wait for the food to arrive at the table. Do not expect to be able to use the WiFi as the signal is very poor, if you are lucky enough to get connect don't get too excited as it won't last long!

"Lovely hotel, short distance from shops and Wetherspoons "
Billy H, 20 Juin 2018

Lovely hotel, stayed here a few times while on work. Car parks big, smooth quick check in, staff very friendly, room good size and clean. Even though they have restaurant I had a dominos from just down the road where they have a Wetherspoon and other choices to eat and drink. Breakfast was good too, lots of choice. Would happily stay here again

"Clean, nice staff"
Gill C, 15 Juin 2018

Nice clean room. Good bed, I had a fab nights sleep even with the busy road outside. Location wasn't good for me but could be perfect for you. Food is quite nice too. Overall good for business if you like carbon copy roadside hotels.

"Trip to Corby"
R F, 06 Juin 2018

Hotel is in a great position ideal to go many places around Northamptonshire. The reception area is set out well and the girls behind reception are a credit to the hotel. Stephanie, Joanne, Claire, Rosamund and Lee-Anne are very knowledgable and pleasant and always there to help. Food in restaurant is good and a varied menu. Rooms are clean and well set out. I always look forward to going here as I'm always well looked after.

"Dirty and stained table cloths"
Jeff B, 06 Juin 2018

Arrived at the hotel to be told the room i asked for was unavailable and i booked it weeks ago. At breakfast i noticed the table cloth was stained and dirty so i asked the waitress who replied that they don't change the table cloths. WHAT?!!! So it's ok for guest to eat at a dirty table. I have been told that breakfast is their busiest time but when i was there there were two couples and that was it with a waiter and waitress standing around, one of them could have changed it.

"Great stay "
Scooby1996, 04 Juin 2018

Great stay . Big car park .Friendly friendly staff on arrival . Reception area bar and restaurant bright and modern . Rooms clean and comfortable. Free WiFi . Tea coffee and biscuit in room . Nice big comfy bed . Clean modern bathroom. Few stains on carpet and ceiling needed re painting. However cannot fault hotel . My only gripe was that in the evening there was a wedding and it was very visible that the hotel were very short staffed . On waiting to get drinks in bar you could see the stress as staff had to serve in bar then go round to serve at the wedding . Leaving us waiting . More staff need to be hired . They looked tired and stressed. Very under staffed . Great little touch was a smart phone in room to look up local attractions and info for area . Brilliant idea . Great buffet breakfast in bright restaurant in morning .Overall really nice stay

"Over night stay for family wedding at the castle"
gtrsmith, 03 Juin 2018

Stayed here over night for my mums wedding at Rockingham castle, the staff are friendly enough the rooms are decent but I will say it's very loud! The walls seem to be made of cardboard, kept awake by a bloke snoring, and people round here must really hate doors! Slamming constantly! Good place to stay if your pissed up, but if you want a good nights sleep then I wouldn't bother.

"great hotel and room"
sasmum, 10 Mai 2018

What a lovely hotel and we had a great room, no complaints at all. We upgraded to a superior room which was well worth it, really great view, lots of lovely extras, very nice stay. The only downside was the food. Very expensive evening meal not great choice. Breakfast very normal nothing surprising. Staff all wonderful. Hotel clean and pleasant, ample seating never struggled for a table. Drinks as expected prices in hotel. Wine list limited especially if you want Rose only had one choice. Not extensive outside space if you are looking for gardens but did have some outside seating which was pleasant if you could find a seat on a hot weekend. Mainly due to the distance but also the food we would not go again, but we did find some eating place very close by which we used both nights and we enjoyed. We normally eat in the hotels we stay at but luckily the weather was great so going out to eat was not a problem

"Clean, plenty of parking and good breakfast"
Steven H, 08 Mai 2018

Stayed here when using a buyagift voucher for two nights. Process was easy to follow and staff were very accommodating. Location is not the best, so if you do not have use of a vehicle you may struggle to find enough to do. We had use of a car, so were able to visit many of the surrounding villages and towns which were pleasant and in picturesque surroundings. Stamford 20 minutes away is a nice drive. The town is lovely to walk around. The only reason we have not given 5 stars, is that despite a great breakfast and service for the majority of the stay, on the second morning it was busy, so not enough tables were available. We were asked to wait in the bar, behind another couple which was fine. The problem is that 3 more couples arrived and were seated straight away, obviously we were forgotten about. When we went back, we were told the same thing as though we had just arrived, not realising we were already waiting. The confusion seem to arise as two people were hosting the breakfast hall, but as no one had written anything down, keeping a track of who was waiting in the bar and not seemed to be a problem. I would recommend that numbers are given to those who have to wait, which are then called out in the bar area to avoid this issue in the future. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

"Bar Area"
William P, 30 Avril 2018

Nicely revamped with fresh paint and seats, now that little bit more cosy. Car park also re-done, easier to park. Worth a call in for a quiet drink. Open, airy, also on- site hairdresser and beauty. Nice outdoor seating area an wedding venue.

"Lesley Bromley"

Lovely hotel, very clean and warm, staff very friendly. Huge comfortable bed, the breakfast was excellent, and the food in the restaurant exceptional, really enjoyed our weekend only the weather spoilt it ?? ??

"Not quite up to the price tag.."
Westwood78, 16 Avril 2018

Stayed here on Saturday night as was attending a party in the Rockingham Suite. Upon arrival the revamped reception looks good if a little clinical which doesn't quite work with the exterior and style of building. Room had been revamped but smelt very fusty as if the window hadn't been opened for months. Comfortable beds and reasonably clean bathroom, not gleaming but acceptable. They shut down the bar in the reception early (10.45 and they were closing it down) we were advised that as a resident we could order more drinks at the main bar but when we went round all locked up and no one around!! So a much earlier night than planned! Breakfast was v. poor, greasy, over done fried eggs that looked like they had been sat there a long time, fatty bacon, cold beans and cold mushrooms. The breakfast staff were super friendly though! Think if I was attending a function here again I'd stay in the Hilton over the road!

"Above and beyond the call of duty - pity about the room lighting."
VICTRO3, 16 Avril 2018

The helpful staff are the real stars here. They proved themselves when my wife had a nasty fall and they couldn't have done more to make her comfortable. They even took her bloodstained clothing and had it dry cleaned free of charge. And Kaeley phoned us at home some days later to check how she was getting on. That's what you call taking care of the customer. By the way if any ambulance chasing claims companies are reading this don't waste your breath - it was an Accident - her fault. The hotel really has all you could hope for except for silly snaky bedside lights which are worse than useless and annoying enough to stop me giving 5 stars. And it is also so very easy to find.

"Team spirit"
Grzegorz D, 12 Avril 2018

It's good to be back here again and see all those nice people working there. They are real advantage of this hotel. Always smiley, friendly and helpful. I was in every hotel in Corby and here are really nice vibes and the best English breakfast in Corby. If you have doubts just try for yourself. All of the people there are great but would like to thank Ewelina for looking after guests with great hospitality and to Lydia for being the best cook ever and preparing such a great breakfasts. Thank also to all the people from reception and restaurant area. It's great to be back. Ps. Bar and restaurant area looks now much nicer than it used to be. Well done.

"100% recommend "
Shannon1995x, 02 Avril 2018

We received an activity superstore voucher as a gift and after searching all of the hotels you could book, this hotel looked like one of the best. Booking the hotel was extremely easy and we managed to get the weekend we wanted, after a few worries I called and emailed the hotel and both times the service was friendly and I got exactly what I needed to know. From start the finish we were very happy with our stay, the room we had was lovely and I had requested to see the car park when we booked (as we worry about our car) and this request was no trouble. Unfortunately we didn't get up in time for breakfast as we just wanted to lay in and appreciate not going to work haha but this was not a problem at all. The room we stayed in was very modern, extremely clean (that's coming from a housekeeper as well) and we were very impressed with the little handy device that was in the room which we used to find places to eat and visit, it also had other useful features. If I was to be picky the only fault I could possibly find was that some of the floorboards on the corridor were a little creaky but that is being fussy as they didn't disturb my sleep at all. Overall all the staff who we dealt with (reception, bar and housekeeping) were lovely and for this reason we will 100% be returning.

"Average place, quiet and convenient to Corby"
Rob S, 31 Mars 2018

Hotel has big rooms and is in need of a little TLC. Creaking floorboards and paint scuffs are everywhere. Very pleasant and helpful receptionist - especially considering the ‘business facilities' are a bit of a joke.

"Poor very poor"
Nadeem B, 29 Mars 2018

We always book the best room available. This time it was the Lordship's Suite, the best in the hotel. BUT NO ELEVATOR, OUTDATED BATHROOM FACILITIES. Sink taps were not mixer taps, hot one was dripping. Very poor water pressure in the shower and jacuzzi bath not working at all. Further we were charged for still mineral water which is always offered as complimentary in other hotels. Also our preferences for extra towels was not honoured. No discount offered when issues raised.

"Average"
O8059TJtheo, 28 Mars 2018

nice room although still needs some improvement just small things like bathroom handles and a new curtain rail and curtain, food is overpriced and not the best quality, friendly staff. overall for a budget hotel it's good value for money. Would stay again.

"Enjoyable stay"
dancingqueen2018, 27 Mars 2018

Stayed here for three nights with a line dance event. Comfortable bed, good food, (served faster than on a previous trip) pleasant and helpful staff. Pleased to see the revamped restaurant. Quiet. Overall, good value.

"Great Two Night Stay"
katietodd711, 26 Mars 2018

As part of a Gift Couple's Experience that I received for Christmas, my boyfriend and I decided to stay at this hotel for two nights from the 22nd to the 24th of January. When booking my stay, I was on the phone to a lovely woman (I have forgotten her name!) who was very patient with me and helped me out when my activation code wasn't working. When we arrived, the reception staff were very polite and friendly and the check-in process was simple and easy. Our room was very nice and clean, the bed was extremely large and comfortable, and there was lots of of space to store luggage if need be. The bathroom was clean, however, the waterfall shower head wasn't my favourite thing - but some people enjoy them! Overall, we didn't actually spend very much time in the hotel as we opted to eat at restaurants nearby (Nando's, Prezzo, Wetherspoons) but I thought the place was perfect for a two night stay and would definitely stay there again if I were in the area.

"Wonderful service and comfortable rooms"
lcdug, 22 Mars 2018

I recently stayed here for a wedding, where the reception was also held. Every single staff member that I encountered was amazing. From the ladies at Front Desk, to the breakfast staff and especially the Bar staff. Karen from the Bar is wonderful! So friendly and genuine. Ben & Luke worked the bar at the wedding and were great too. The rooms are a good size, they have all the amenities you could ask for. The shower was so good (especially after a long flight). Location, didn't venture far, but its walking distance to a little area with other restaurants and bars and was close to where I needed to be. WiFi, it was free and worked the whole time of my 2 night stay. Great hotel and wonderful staff.

"Excellent Hotel Manager and Staff"
0003332015, 15 Mars 2018

i'm not a person to write reviews normally but it is only fair to say that Mr Turton was true to his word in ensuring the WiFi works. This is a must for any businessman who have reports to complieetc at night so thank you for that Mr. Turton. The reception staff are excellent and very efficient they make the guests feel like the hotel is home from home with their pleasent and friendly outlook. The ladies who generally do the breakfast shift are efficient and nothing is too much trouble. The bar staff are also excellent and a pleasure to stand at the bar to have a drink nothing is too much trouble. Your staff are a credit to you Mr Turton you must be pleased with your progress so far.

"Accommadation is comfortable, food is extreemly bad."
Birgir1711, 07 Mars 2018

Staying at Best Western the last 5 days, assures me that this is not the best place to stay in although their bedrooms are not very bad. You can skip completely any idea of dining in the restaurant. 4 dinners in as many nights, where the food was plenty, but either cold or overdone by far. The deep fried 4 chicken pcs are so dry it did not leave a stain on my shirt although accidently landing on it. Cutting the chicken meat is like cutting tree. The service is extremely slow, 1 hr 10 minutes to receive the starters.. soup of the day. How can that take 70 minutes on a very slow night, within 20 people in whole restaurant. A poor choice although not very expensive. But cheap prices are not everything your comfort and health is of more importance. I will stay at this hotel again because of my work, but I will leave the restaurant alone.

"Stayed here many times"
Malcolm W, 04 Mars 2018

Staff are exceptional and helpful. The hotel has undergone some major refitment in recent years and is looking a lot better and cared for. When i first stayed here 4 years ago it was a bit run down. The one thing that does annoy me is the disabled parking it only normal space size and these need to be wider for disabled people and i have therefore seen them abused as they are poorly marked. I will be staying again soon but if you want to be away from the main road please ask for rooms at the back of the hotel.

"Much improved"
brentstanbridge, 03 Mars 2018

Been coming to Rockingham for an annual facing weekend. It has changed hands a few times, but now it better than it has ever been. Refurbished bedrooms. Better decor better food. Still a great ballroom.

"Brilliant stay"
reallywrenchit, 21 Février 2018

We stayed recently using a BuyaGift voucher. Our room for the weekend was spacious, comfortable with a huge bed and drench shower. Breakfast was excellent, with all the usual hot buffet choices, fruit, juices etc. The hotel is well placed to enjoy the Rutland area - just one minutes drive north the scenery is stunning.

"Another Best Western Hotel That Needs Improving! "
SillyFizzy, 20 Février 2018

Another Best Western Hotel chain that needs improving. Room was tried looking with stains on the carpet. Stains on the tiles in the bathroom. Bath did not drain properly. Bed had a huge sink hole in the middle - I cannot understand how such a big hotel chain think it is OK to still let guests use beds that are way beyond their Use By. Did not eat at the hotel therefore can not comment. WiFi did not work. Room was cold to start with but I found a heater that had a wonky leg and a broken leg. The heater did work but looked unstable, kept worrying it was going to topple over. On the plus side, my room was spacious, and the receptionist was efficient and friendly (receptionists at Best Western Sutton Coldfield please take note!).

"Good value"

The hotel is undergoing some refurbishment. Our stay cost £40 with breakfast which was an absolute bargain. The room was nice and clean the bed was huge and comfortable. The breakfast was decent and the staff were nice too

"Excellent 2 day stay."
CreweCrew, 10 Février 2018

We stayed for 2 nights on a Buy a Gift break. Prior to our visit, we were aware of some refurbishment going on at the hotel and we were unsure of how it would affect our stay. On arriving at the hotel you will find a very large car park, entrance to reception is easily found. We arrived earlier than the recommended check in time, but we were greeted by a very nice lady on reception that checked to see if our room was ready and lucky enough it was so we checked in. Our room (303) was a refurbished bedroom, the refurbished bedrooms are very nice, and all you need in a hotel room for a short break. Tea & coffee facilities and a Nespresso coffee maker. The air-conditioning unit was very quiet and it did heat up the room when radiator was off. Large Ultra HD television and free use of the in room mobile phone, an excellent addition to the facilities. Plenty of hanging space and shelves for clothes and a free in room safe. Because of the ongoing refurbishment in the bar & dining area we could not use these facilities but alternative arrangements were made within the hotel so the refurbishment didn't spoil our enjoyment of the hotel. A bar was opened downstairs until 6.30pm, and at 6.30pm they opened up a function room upstairs which had a bar, a lounge area and dining area, this is where we had our evening meals. Prior to having our inclusive meal on our first night, we had a few drinks in the downstairs bar where we met Gemma our bar person who recommended places to go and things to see, we also got to meet head chef David Lowden, whom we had a conversation with about holidays abroad and of course food. David was very open about the food on offer on the menu but he also offered to find me a steak that wasn't on the menu a Big Daddy Ribeye, he said he would get one in for me for the following night, which was very good of him, as this worked in both my favour and the hotels as we had planned to eat out on our second night. Our inclusive menu on our first night had a good selection to choose from, I had pate and my wife had a chicken salad starter, for mains we both had the smoked chicken with saute potatoes, the food was excellent, I couldn't fault it apart from it being a very large portion. Staff in the dining room and on the bar are very friendly and happy to have a conversation with you, because we had an early start 4.00am on the day of travel we headed off to our room for an early night and to watch some television on the huge TV. The following morning for breakfast it was served buffet style, you help yourself to the full English, and there were also some continental offerings available for the healthier eaters. Following breakfast we got a taxi into Corby to do some shopping and visit the area. That evening we headed up to the dining room for my Big Daddy Ribeye and sure enough David was good to his word my steak was waiting for me, cooked to perfection with chunky chips and a pepper sauce, but I need to hold my hands up, it beat me, it was huge but I tried hard. Thank you David. Thank you to all the staff who were all very friendly and very approachable. All in all we had a great stay at the Rockingham Forest Hotel, and I would recommend it to anyone who was planning to visit the area.

"Dance Weekend"
paulF5692MX, 09 Février 2018

The staff at The Rockingham Hotel made us feel very welcome. The room was spacious and airy and the bed large. At first the bed seemed a little soft for my taste, but this didn't prevent me from having an excellent night's sleep. The curtains prevented any ingress of light and there was hardly a sound to be heard during the night. The bathroom was clean and there was plenty of hot water. Our room had a bath that I find far superior to a shower when you need to relax. The food on Friday night was on the poor side of average, with possibly the worst leak and potato soup I have ever had to endure, but the breakfast was top notch as was Saturdays night's dinner. Sunday's breakfast was of the same high standard and the lunch carvery was very good. We were staying at this hotel as part of a dance weekend package and I have already booked for next year's event. Obviously I didn't let the soup put me off.

"Lovely refurbishment"
C0untrymusicl0ver, 05 Février 2018

This hotel is having a complete refurbishment. The rooms are amazing. Very tastefully refurbished in a contemporary style with lovely coffee machines. Our room -His Lordship Suite was amazing and facilities included complementary use of a mobile phone!. The restaurant was in the midst of re decoration so our meals were served in the ballroom. Whilst the food isn't amazing, it is prefectly adequate. Superb buffet breakfast with a large variety of food available. Be prepared for a long food service during this time as the staff are working under difficult constraints but should hopefully be resolved once the restaurant is up and running again.

"Pure luxury"
Koan G, 26 Janvier 2018

For work we have stayed in many Best Western hotels, but this was by far the best so far. Very surprised it only has a 3 star :o because the rooms were amazing. Large double bed, big screen tv, shower above the bath (centre from ceiling not at ends), tea, coffee, hot chocolate sachet, biscuits. But the surprise was an "android phone" inside each room to use for free during your stay and to help you around the building :o For couples looking for extra luxury ask about "His Lordship's Suite", with a four poster bed :O Breakfast was really good, held in one of the conference rooms on this stay, very friendly professional staff bringing coffee and tea whenever needed and great selection of hot and cold food available.

"Family visit to Corby"
Barry and Irene G, 10 Janvier 2018

Have stayed at this hotel many times over the past 12 years. Have always found staff very efficient, helpful and obliging. Was given upgrade to meet booking request of quiet room. Hotel bar/lounge and restaurant area now undergoing well needed refurbishment.

"Restuarant"
Lynne M, 03 Janvier 2018

On first arriving in our room, within an hour their was a gurgling sound from the bathroom then an awful stench filled the room, reception came directly and went to sort it out, we asked for a fresh air spray which we were given. Apparently due to the snow and ice the Main sewers were blocked. Over the weekend at least 60% plus went down with a very serious stomach bug, I cannot say their was any connection with the above because other reasons were given. Which cannot be confirmed by myself so I will not comment. Reception and Maid Service were brilliant, the Restuarantt was awful 2 Options for mains, such a limited choice, and not very tasteful, also very slow in serving. I do not blaim the Waitress/Waiters as it was really down to organisation.

"Made our christmas extra special"
hendeNorthants, 26 Décembre 2017

We spent christmas eve morning here at breakfast with santa ... wonderful atmosphere and beautiful breakfast so was hoping for the same when we returned for our christmas day meal and we were not dissapointed. .. nothing from the delicious meal to the happy and relaxed dining hall could be be given less than 5 stars ... Thankyou to all the wonderful staff and especially Kayleigh who always gives such a warm welcome ... We can't wait to book for next year .

"Xmas family dinner "
lind_0512, 22 Décembre 2017

Booked the restaurant for a family xmas meal, (8 people) service was very poor, ordered the meal at 7.15 pm but our meals (apart from one meal) didn't arrive to the table until 8.40pm, the other one arrived 15 minutes later when we had all nearly finished our meals, and was slightly different from what was originally ordered!! There was no excuse as there was only one other family of 4 in the restaurant, so not busy at all. Was not the managers fault and she was very apologetic and was offered a discount. Won't be returning in a hurry and certainly won't be recommending as definitely ruined our once a year family xmas meal

"Oh what an evening!!"
Val B, 17 Décembre 2017

Good location. There it ends. No cloakroom available, asked for coat rail, the hotel only has one, so coats were draped over the back of chairs. The food was ghastly! The only dish I enjoyed was the fried brie which was served with a "bagged" salad. I chose Salmon for my main course, it came swimming in a tomato sauce, served with rock hard roast potatoes, probably been kept warm for several hours, 2 Brussel sprouts and a carrot. Pudding was supposed to be a warm chocolate brownie, with ice cream and cherries. The brownie was rock hard, I simply left it. I have never been served such awful food before. Avoid this hotel at all cost, unless you just want a cheap room for the night and you eat at a local take out!

"Arrived late left early, good location."
SJ13, 10 Décembre 2017

This is my most boring review, which in this case is a good thing . Car park pretty full at front on arrival but found one non the less.Very pleasant lady on reception. I was very late but it was no problem, shown to my room, all clean, tidy and it was quiet. Slept real well then up and out. Would recommend for stop over. Book with confidence.

"A club dinner and annual prize giving for the Welland Gliding Club"
Skybolt, 02 Décembre 2017

The function room was on the first floor and perfect for the occasion. My only criticism was that there was no room set aside to hang up outdoor clothing on a cold night. The hotel car park was full so it was difficult to find a space. The food was exceptionally good and the service quite reasonable in terms of time between courses. A memorable evening for the club though the band playing for dancing after the formalities was too loud for my ancient ears.

"Most fantastic omelette ever!"
Badeley1, 01 Décembre 2017

Hotel is lovely! But I have to say Lydia kindly cooked the most delicious cheese and bacon omelette for breakfast ever!!! Rooms are comfy and spacious staff are lovely and welcoming!!! Look forward to staying here

"Superb Customer Service."
DennisCardiff, 30 Novembre 2017

We stayed for two nights,we have stayed here on a number of occasions. The room number 107 was clean and tidy. The breakfasts were very good. However, the service was superb. Lee-Anne on reception was excellent,we arrived back after 9.30 pm on the Wednesday night, wanting something to eat.The restaurant had closed.Lee-Anne sorted some sandwiches etc out with Karen Wallace, and they were ready very quickly. Thank you all for your superb customer service. We have stayed here a number of times in the last three years, and the service has always been very good. We will be back in the next couple of months.

"A good stay"
Hammy4, 21 Novembre 2017

An enjoyable overnight stay with a very good breakfast. Slight problems wth an occasional drain making a gurgling noise, also the bathroom fan was very noisy. Suggest that you book direct as the breakfast then comes free. If you book via Booking .com etc. then you have to pay for breakfast

"weekend"
ir0ndeb, 13 Novembre 2017

I stayed there a while ago for an organised event. The hotel itself was OK, but the floors are so creaky!! Would go down well in a haunted mansion!. Food-wise, it was ok,nothing special but the service needs LOTS of sorting out. If you have to order your food at breakfast for the evening meal, and the order is taken table by table, I don't think it's too much to ask to expect what you order? But no, the orders are taken just for quantities of each meal only. When it comes to serving, all the same meals are brought out at the same time, so if someone fancies something different, they put their hand up for that meal instead. Cue the customers at the end of the service missing out on what they specifically ordered, consequently very unhappy and angry customers!! I ended up with gammon (actually slices of ham with gravy on!!) rather than what I'd ordered - not happy! The suggestion is that if the restaurant takes orders by table, bring the food out to that table only! In addition, people's dinners are getting cold while they're waiting for everyone on the table to be served before they start eating. Bring small containers of vegetables out rather than one large one. Our veg ended up getting cold as it was put on the table ages before the meals were served. Put a small jug of cream on each table for the pudding, rather than bringing a large jug out at the end of the service when most people have finished because they didn't think cream was being served. It could have been a much better experience. For that reason I'm not sure I want to return. Bar shut too early at night. Bar food was pretty good - had a meal at lunchtime once. No lunchtime food on a Sunday other than a carvery, which when you've had a large breakfast and paid for an evening meal, you don't want, due to cost but also quantity. Some sort of bar snack/sandwiches would be welcome.

"The land that time forgot!"
Kirsten O, 13 Novembre 2017

The website pictures give the impression of a modern hotel. However on arrival, even from the outside things were very dated and tired. If you have a water feature that no longer works - take it down , don't leave it festering and rusting. Inside the carpets had tape repairs in most areas we saw. I checked with the girl on reception that we had a deluxe room as booked....... her response worried me -“yes all rooms have been updated and they all have en suites now” - this is not deluxe - this is an expected basic in this day and age. The room was meant to be a deluxe triple room - heaven help those in a lower grade room. (Still not sure why it was rated as deluxe.) We had a view onto a skip full of stuff. It was a normal room with an extra single bed squeezed in...... so the room now had 3 single beds in it. The bed covers had holes in them. (There was still smoking paraphernalia from a previous guest I assume). The room was tired - they had obviously tired to very cheaply modernize it a bit at some point in time....... but failed miserably. Why spend money on having some sort of mobile phone you can take out with you for the rooms.? This should have been spent on new mattresses and better quality fittings. The square shower head in the ceiling was poorly fitted- and not practical. I found that the room rate I had been charged although expensive for the area I think (the hotel across the road for the same room type was £40 a night less and included breakfast) - this didn't even include breakfast. They even charge full breakfast rates for the two kids ( most hotels don't) - an expensive bowl of cereal. The bar area for meals was very small and also shabby. As it was a Saturday night and they obviously had a function on there were not really any comfortable areas to sit. So we went out to get something. There was no lift to get upstairs. Overall this was way over priced and shabby but definitely not chic!

"Fab room. "
Julie T, 13 Novembre 2017

Stayed here for one night -Saturday. Checked in by very friendly staff. We had a room on the ground floor- which must be one of the recently upgraded rooms . It was lovely- new carpet, nice furniture, well decorated. Comfortable bed. Bathroom had lovely fluffy towels, great rain shower and nice heated towel rail. We eat in the bar, and had two American burgers which were huge and well cooked- very nice meal as was breakfast the following morning in the main dining room. So why only three stars?? We didn't sleep well! We were woken up twice by the room above us by the ceilings creaking? Then the radiator decided to start making a noise ( maybe requires bleeding?) While this was going on I had to get up and unplug the travel buddy as the light given from it was like a Belisha beacon ! ( nice touch tho from the hotel to provide guests with this free guide) It was a real shame as the room was so nice. My only other comment would be that you are provided with plastic glasses which one sadly creaked and spilt wine on the bed sheet. To sum up I feel the hotel was trying really hard , friendly staff , good food. If we came back I'd like a room on the top floor.

"Visiting the family"
Mulberrydave1, 07 Novembre 2017

Arrived really late but excepting we could not get a meal both booking in and a drink both hot and cold were. No problem.room was large, comfortable and with all expected facilities. The package we had booked was room only but breakfast and all other meals were available if required. Room was at back of hotel and very quiet with a good view. We had a full day with family and only returned to sleep. Another quiet comfortable night

"Great Stay"
Den22, 04 Novembre 2017

I was organiser of a party of about 70 people who stayed for 2 nights in October. Our stay was great the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Evening meals were included in our deal which were excellent quality, we had a choice of about 3 items per course with food that appealed to everyone, well presented and tasty. The second night we had private dinning with a disco provided by the hotel which was great fun. My bedroom was amazing and included a very large bed as well as a great Jacuzzi. I didn't have any complaints from any of the people who were in our party. The reception staff were amazing and when I realised I had left my ring in the bathroom and rang them, they quickly found it for me and sent it back to me really quickly which I am very thankful for. It is nice friendly hotel that copes well with big and small parties.

"Weekend Break"
ManDebKen, 31 Octobre 2017

Stayed here for 2 nights using a Buy a Gift voucher. The reception was great, very efficient and we were in our room very fast. There are 2 floors but no lift, so if you cannot manage stairs request for a ground floor room. The room was lovely, spacious, immaculately clean with a 6ft king bed, and a large TV. Tea and coffee making tray with delicious cookies. The bathroom was a good size, with an over head waterfall shower, and loads of hot water, and large fluffy towels. We ate in the hotel restaurant on Friday evening, as it was part of our deal. Although the hotel was very busy, at 8.30 we found ourselves eating alone, seemingly everyone else had eaten and gone to their dances. The service was very good, and we were served starters fast. The starters were very good, but our mains were not so good. The grounds around the hotel are lovely, I am sure wedding parties during the summer here would be lovely. Rockingham Castle entrance is just 5 mins walk away. There are 2 pubs within a 10 min stroll, J D Weatherspoon, and a Hungry Horse, although the footpaths are not very good, and I would not recommend walking in the evening, as there are hardly any street lights, and the road is very busy. Corby town centre is a 10 min drive away, so the hotel is rather cut off. I think this hotel lends itself to business meetings and parties rather than romantic weekend breaks. We enjoyed our stay, the staff were lovely, very welcoming and friendly.

"Excellent stay for line dancing weekend with Double H Promotions"
Terry B, 24 Octobre 2017

Just returned from a wonderful weekend with Ray and his team of Double H Promotions. It was an excellent hotel for Line dancing and the ballroom was superb. The food although very delicious was let down by the slow service but hopefully this could be sorted. we were a big group and have been going to Double H weekends for years now and never been disappointed. The rooms were lovely and we had a huge curved smart TV which pleased my husband who does not dance. All the staff were helpful and friendly. We will definitely return even if it's not a line dance weekend as it is excellent!!!!

"Bit of a Motel rather than a Hotel"
Awislon, 16 Octobre 2017

On first impressions at the reception you expect the Hotel to be very modern. However the room I stayed in clearly hadn't been aired is while and smelt quite musty, something I do not like at all. I could have complained, but I arrived late and was too tired, so it was my fault as I am sure the hotel would have relocated me on request. The room was quite cheaply furnished and what I would describe as reasonably comfortable as opposed to comfortable. The bathroom sure was a bit dated. The Breakfast room in the morning could have been very nice, but again dated furniture and what I would describe as a cheap breakfast. To be fair, you don't have to try very hard in Corby as there is a chronic shortage of Beds in the area so you generally have to book a week to 2 weeks in advance to get the hotel you want. This generally means that hotel standards fall as there is little incentive to re-furb or compete in a saturated market. This could be an excellent hotel with a bit of investment as it is located very closely to the industrial belt of Corby and within easy access of the town centre.

"Group annual get together"
Rajkathane, 09 Octobre 2017

We are a group of some 40 people (grown in numbers from original 30) from ages 4 month to 98 years. We meet once a year for a get together to catch up. For the past 2 years we chose this hotel, on the weekend of September 23/24. This hotel is located in the heart of England, almost in the countryside, 10 miles from the beautiful lakes of Rutland water. The hotel has spacious grounds to the front and back. All the rooms are recently redecorated very tastefully, with new TVs and other in-room facilities. The layout of the hotel is spacious. The staff are very kind and most helpful and friendly. There are some function rooms--we had occupied the one on the 2nd floor, and it is very spacious. The breakfast is sumptuous. There is a very large car park of the hotel. The room rates are very competitive and include breakfast. The hotel is suitable for weddings (including in the large back garden), other functions and I believe, even boxing matches ! A word of caution about the sat-nav location: the hotel's post code ends with 1AE but that takes you to the wrong end of the Rockingham Road, which is a very long road. The hotel does not have a building number this causes some confusion. It is better to use the post code NN17 - 2AE; this was the advice of the hotel's reception staff and we found it more reliable. We had not been to Corby before and really liked the town: it is green, easy to get around with excellent public transport connections. Rutland water is famous for all kinds of water sport facilities as well as other outdoor activities like cycling, rock-wall climbing. There are a couple of stately homes nearby to visit and a lovely country park with a museum in it.

"Night shift worker Doug!"

"Best hotel for Rockingham Speedway"
essexmark2011, 26 Septembre 2017

Stayed last night with 2 very valuable classic cars, very friendly, understanding and helpful team at this hotel. Arranged secure parking for us. Special thanks to Carmen who took the booking and was immediately reassuring that she could help. Dave in the kitchen who came up with the perfect parking solution and Claire on reception who really understands cars and is ultra efficient, really friendly and fab to deal with. Food was fine, room was comfortable, powerful shower. A little dated but who cares, our cars were secure and the hotel staff were warm and friendly. Highly recommended, especially for car enthusiasts. Thank you to all the team for making us so welcome, we'll be back - Mark & Rod.

"A Good Place to Stay"
Geoff W, 23 Septembre 2017

Everything about this hotel was excellent except in the restaurant at dinner time. The problem was the availability of items on the menu. The dinner menu had nine main meals but on the night I stayed three were not available seriously reducing the choice and in addition the service for dinner was very slow. Had I not had this problem this hotel would have received an excellent rating

"Wedding for a Mid forties couple"
w0mble1969, 13 Septembre 2017

I cannot compliment the staff or hotel enough. Our wedding was slick, well organised, good food, good DJ, co-operative staff, and in short perfect, all on a budget price of under 3k. The decked outdoor area was very good for wedding too and very clean. We booked 2 rooms, 1 twin for the bride before the wedding for make up etc, one suit for after. Both were clean, tidy, well kept and quiet. The Jacuzzi bath was fun to work out and added a little humor to the occasion. We went for a buffet meal deal and there was plenty to go round and all liked the quality of food, The Ceremony room we booked had LED lighting that could be changed to your wedding scheme which was a nice touch. I cannot compliment this place enough so I will end this review by saying, before you book anywhere else for your wedding, go take a look here, all my guests were raving about the whole the venue and some will be booking their own weddings here soon.

"Not best at all."
Steven L, 06 Septembre 2017

This hotel is very dated and tired,if you are looking for a quiet weekend break you won't find it here, the hotel holds weddings etc and we found it very noisey with children running along the bedroom corridors at all hours banging doors and screaming, staff did not seem bothered, the bar was very small and the area taken by wedding guest, also had a limited food menu, the restaurant food was ok but service is very poor, would I recamend no,will I go back no,rooms are large but not very clean.

"Norm"
Norman C, 30 Août 2017

I've always had a soft spot for this hotel and recently spent 4 nights here, following a 4 year gap. Not only were the staff very attentive, the hotel had obviously had a very impressive face lift. Rooms are great, modern and very clean. The staff are all very attentive to customers needs and nothing is too much trouble. Reception can't do enough for you and the bar and restaurant staff are always on hand with any questions that need answering. Although I didn't eat here, the food looked very good and was reasonably priced. As I work on a regular basis, in the Corby area, I always look to stay here. Finally, I have to again thank all the reception staff day and night, for all their efforts. Nothing was too much for them. Special thanks to reception manager, Stephanie, as on her day off on Tuesday, visited her local post office to return goods that I'd left in my room. Top service Thanks

"Great Rooms and fantastic breakfast"
Lynn D, 30 Août 2017

We have stayed here a number of times now, the rooms are roomy and always clean. Nothing is too much bother for any of the staff we have had conversations with. Breakfast was lovely, fresh and hot and a really nice touch that breakfast chef comes out to say good morning and ask if everything is ok, these little things always make you remember your visit. Will definitely be returning.

"Golden Wedding stay"
kenriley, 22 Août 2017

Stayed here for a Golden Wedding Anniversary celebration (even though we live only 8 miles away!) Hotel much as we expected. Some areas a little jaded/faded, as it is nearing that time when refurbishment may be not too far away. Staff all friendly and helpful. Room well equipped, and bathroom very clean and fittings nice, and worked efficiently, though a few traces of damp in the past. Breakfast was all the usual suspects, and very good!Quality of bacon and sausage above average! Good coffee too! Definitely would stay again, and would give good rating, but doesn't exist on here! (WHY?)

"coach holiday"
celesius1, 21 Août 2017

Stayed at this hotel while on a coach holiday, staff where great, helpful and friendly. The rooms were large, we had paid for single rooms but each had a queen sized bed, very large TV and a beautiful well equipped bathroom. The hotel supplied table d'hote evening menu for the coach party, this had a good choice each evening. The breakfast each morning was a full English buffet style. all the food was well cooked and very hot.

"Already wanting to go back! "
AbbyPalmer, 05 Août 2017

Recently came back from a 2 night leisure stay at BW Rockingham Forest, and there was very little we could fault. There was ample parking and the front is clean and tidy. The lobby is modern and check in was friendly and efficient. We stayed in room 310 which had been recently refurbished to a good standard, it was modern and comfortable with fairly neutral decor, a big TV, and a rain shower which we loved! USB ports either side of the bed where welcomed and the tea/coffee tray was good with a couple of packs of biscuits. We only stayed for 2 nights but there was plenty of hanging/shelf space for a longer stay, as well as room for our small cases to be stored out of our way on the luggage rack. The bathroom was clean and modern, the rainfall shower over the bath was amazing, with really good water pressure and the option of a handheld shower head as well. We ate in the restaurant the first night, the service was friendly and the starters of scotch egg and potato and leek soup was lovely, but the mains of duck and chicken and dessert of lemon meringue pie and ice cream was disappointing in flavour. The chicken had a ratatouille like sauce and mozzarella which was ok, but it was put on top of brought-in potato slices and just wasn't that appealing. The duck was burnt on top and the sauce was very acidic. The meal wasn't expensive and I guess they have a budget to keep to. We may have just been unlucky but with choice in the area I probably wouldn't eat there again. The bed was super king sized and extremely comfortable, one of the best we have stayed in! Breakfast was good value for money, with continental and full English offered. Staff were friendly and food was nice and hot. Wifi was available for free and it was ok although a little intermittent at times. The hotel caters for weddings and there was one while we were there, but it didn't affect us in any way. Overall we had a great time, and just wish there was more to do in the area so we have more reason to go back and stay!

"Great hotel"
Simon G, 30 Juillet 2017

I arrived at the hotel around 7 oclock after a days marshaling at Rockingham speedway which is only a couple of miles was down the road. The receptionists were polite and friendly on arrival. I stayed room 313 which was on the bottem floor the room is quite large with a 6ft bed and even had a large curved smart tv. The free WiFi was better then what I can get at home but you do have to register your email address to use it. There is a good shower in the room, I ate in the bar as the restaurant had a wedding on the food was well priced I had a steak and fries and the steak was cooked just how I wanted it. And for anyone who plays Pokemon go the fountain at the front door is a pokespot as well. Over all I was very impressed with the hotel and will defiantly stay again next time I am at Rockingham speedway

"A Great Choice"
harryhamilton256, 25 Juillet 2017

We stayed here for two nights on the 22nd and 23rd July. We had a voucher from Christmas for two nights B&B with Dinner on the first night. We picked the hotel because of its proximity to Rockingham Castle and for our Wedding Anniversary. What a great choice it proved to be. Our room was lovely and of a high standard, we had our dinner in the Restaurant on the first evening and the food was great, we could only manage two courses. The staff were friendly and very customer focused. Breakfast the next morning was very good, so we decided to book the Restaurant for the next evening after a busy day at the Rockingham fair and Castle, again the meal did not disappoint. A big thank you to the hotel for a lovely weekend

"Air conditioned. Very customer orientated"
Geoff F, 24 Juillet 2017

Booked in early and had an excellent meal served by attentive staff. Bar stocked well and bar personnel very welcoming. Best Western good standard with a good finish of refurbishment in the room we had. Excellent car parking & internet facilities with good reception staff. Although a wedding was taking place throughout the day and night the level of customer care was maintained throughout although they were busy.

"Good hotel for the Corby Area"
GoldenEagleTwo, 24 Juillet 2017

Modern hotel with a specialty for Weddings. However it is a great place to stay and even with the weddings in full swing the hotel the rooms were still quiet. The check in service is excellent and the restaurant quality and service is excellent.

"Family Affair"
rab333, 19 Juillet 2017

We used this hotel for a family occasion. The events organiser Kayleigh arranged a fantastic hall and an excellent buffet. She was very helpful with advice about things we weren't sure on and her help was invaluable. All the reception staff were friendly and helpful, particularly Alan who sorted out rooms for ourselves and several friends and family. Great value.

"First class hotel suitable for less mobile guests"
Yvonne U, 15 Juillet 2017

We stayed for one night on 14 July 2017 and wish it could have been for longer. From the moment we arrived we felt comfortable. All of the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Both of us have restricted mobility and were pleased to be offered a room in the ground floor. The room was comfortable, however only one complaint in the position of the kettle and tea making facilities which were that low down they were impossible for us to use.

"Good value"
John H, 10 Juillet 2017

Our first trip to this part of the country and could not have picked better. Staff extremely friendly, nice well appointed room, great buffet breakfast. Restaurant evening meal not up to much, little choice-just ok. Perhaps service was a little lacking on Saturday night as there was a wedding and staff seem to concentrate on that. But apart from these couple of blips a lovely stay. Would definitely come again and can recommend

"Does what is says on the tin"
Yeahboikiwi, 09 Juillet 2017

Great value for money, tidy room that was quite large for the price. All staff were very helpful and upbeat which is always nice. Breakfast was v good also. Definitely recommend for anyone passing thru Corby or Rockingham. A+

"Good but could have been better!!!"
sunland123, 29 Juin 2017

Stayed overnight on a bed and breakfast basis which was good value for money. Staff polite, received a warm welcome and room comfortable, spacious clean, well prepared. Bar staff friendly, ordered a bar meal which was excellent value and very tasty. However having recently stayed at the Best Western Monkbar in York this hotel was a little disappointing. Do appreciate that the Monkbar has had a massive refurbishment and appearance is ultra modern, sleek and desirable. However the little finishing touches like soap, complimentary shampoo, shower gel etc would make a massive difference in the Rockingham. I used the shower and the shower gel from the dispenser in the shower which is the same gel that is provided in the DW gym that I use. Hence I take my own, my expectations were probably based on my experience of the York Hotel but this was not a wow or even a good experience, it was more a "could have done better experience". My colleague stayed in a room at the front of the hotel and his first comment the next morning was the traffic noise of the nearby road in the early hours. This does vociferous with other review comments. Overall a pleasant stay but not one that I would be hastily recommending

"Great place to stay"
Ruth G, 27 Juin 2017

This is a lovely hotel for a long weekend away, The staff are friendly, helpful, efficient and make you feel welcome and relaxed. The rooms are decorated to a high standard and very comfortable. We are looking to our next visit in August

"Good value on the edge of town"
Yorkie214, 27 Juin 2017

Lovely Hotel just on the outskirts of Town. The hotel is deceiving as it does not look great when you approach it. I remember thinking OMG. However the hotel and the hotel rear ground is a totally different matter. The staff were very helpful and courteous. Dished up a superb breakfast. We used this as a base to visit the local area. We are already thinking of going again. Excellent value from Buy a gift. cheaper than booking direct especially as this is a Best Western Hotel

"Buy a gift weekend "
User, 25 Juin 2017

Have just spent two nights at this hotel for a chilled out weekend, it was our first time visit. We had a great time all the staff were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. They all were a credit to the hotel! The bedroom and bathroom were clean and fresh, lots of room and we had a standard room. The food was amazing well presented and lots of it, we ate in the restaurant on both nights. The breakfast was plentiful and what we both liked as well, every time the food was served it was on hot plates. Will certainly be going back again!

"forest????"
polgooth, 21 Juin 2017

My wife and I are on a Baker Dolphin Gold coaching holiday at present and are having a great time coach driver and hostess are brilliant and would recommend their tour to everyone. Unfortunately we are staying at Rockingham forest ??? hotel name implies it should be set in a quiet spot in the countryside How wrong can you be our room is at the front and I have been woken by traffic noise starting at about 4am each morning of our stay so far I at present am sitting in in our room at 5.30am this morning wearing earplugs tired and cursing the car alarm going off outside our window at this moment. We have had to have the windows open due to the very hot weather as although this appears to be a very modern hotel bedrooms are not air conditioned and staff although very apologetic are unable to provide a fan for our rooms .Diners have been chaos with staff coming from the kitchen with plate plates of food not knowing who has ordered which dinner and asking diners what they ordered but fortunately the food is on hot plates so has not gone cold before they determine who's order they have service is getting better though and should be OK by the time we leave

"Buyagift stay"
Myself9, 18 Juin 2017

Stayed in a newly refurbished room with extra large double bed,at the rear and quiet, very good service friendly staff also breakfast, would recommend. Good but not a large selection of fruits. Would stay again.

"Wedding "
Avril B, 12 Juin 2017

Friendly staff, rooms very comfortable, the outside wedding celebration was lovely, food great would recommend. Breakfast was ok, took a while for beverages to be served but again good choice of breakfast

"Huge Bed in 313"
Robgy1, 12 Juin 2017

The bed was probably the biggest one I've slept in, I didn't measure it but it was as wide as it was long and it was very comfortable too. The general decor was as good as any Best Western we've stayed at in this country and better than six others we've been to in Denmark, France and Germany. The only thing I wasn't keen on was the shower, whilst it functioned as it should it was the type that have a fixed head in the ceiling and personally I prefer to be able to rinse all over.

"Needs improving all round."
carpet08, 11 Juin 2017

I stayed here on business in March this year. The problem here is one that most non premier Best Westerns suffer from. There is no attention to detail, the bar is unwelcoming with too much furniture and very average prepacked food, the breakfast is also quite plastic and unattractive. The staff are pleasant though and considering the prices v premier, the owners should put on a much better show. The rooms were clean but again basic.

"Sunday Lunch in the Carvery"
speedjulian, 07 Juin 2017

We had Sunday lunch with friends in the Carvery on the 4th of June. I had to write a few words as the experience was such a pleasant one. The food was excellent, not dry or cold and the service was very professional and courteous. I would like to add special thanks to the Chef Lydia who's cheery and happy disposition made the afternoon a thouroughly enjoyable occasion. I will recommend you in future and thank you Best Western. "BW Rockingham Forest Hotel"
B1357OVrogerf, 02 Juin 2017

A very pleasant hotel, bedrooms were clean, tidy and well presented. The food was good : breakfast was plentyful and a very good range of products to choose from, both continental and full english. There was a good choice of food selection for dinner, which was well presented and enjoyable. Wine selection was a little limited as you could not have a bottle of house wine, as it was only available by the glass.

"Friendly staff "
NicolaMassey, 28 Mai 2017

I tend to arrive at the hotel particularly late when I stay, however the staff are always so friendly and helpful when I arrive, both on the bar and reception. The hotel rooms are clean and spacious modern and warm. Comfy beds with a quiet nights sleep. The hotel is a little expensive in comparison to the other hotels, given the facilities it offers in comparison to them.

"Average "
Nessy89, 20 Mai 2017

Came here with work and stayed for a couple of nights. The room wasn't the best as the window was broken so it didn't close fully and you could feel the breeze coming in slightly! I had food both nights and the 1st night I had fish and chips which was nice then I had steak Diane on the 2nd night and I asked for it to be medium and it was more like rare! The breakfast was alright, I had porridge both days and it was fine. All staff were polite and friendly but I wouldn't stay again.

"vegetarian food let down"
pamela w, 19 Mai 2017

Nice comfortable room . reception staff very welcoming. Vegetarians do not live solely on pasta and garlic bread for main course every evening . Staff do need training that they serve from the left and do not reach across people while eating that they do not take away plates and food off the table before every one has finished eating. Other wise enjoyable stay .

"Comfortable 4 night stay."
hobbitho, 15 Mai 2017

Sporting break and my first visit to this hotel and the area. Reception staff were welcoming. I booked for single occupancy and got a lovely well appointed room which had been recently refurbished. BIG TV, excellent facilities especially the large comfy bed and bountiful hot water shower. Food was good and plentiful especially the carvery served in a warm and friendly manner by chef Lydia. Overall a good stay and I would recommend it. Only one slight personal issue is the lack of choice of beers and good malt scotch from the bar. Many thanks.

"Best hotel sleep, ever."
VICTRO3, 12 Mai 2017

Maybe it was just luck but we found this hotel delivered the best ever sleep. Very comfortable large bed in a large room with all the facilities you could wish for, even a TV that didn't have a ridiculously low sound bar. Wi-fi worked well. Just one black mark, I detest most hotel showers but this one won the prize for hateability. Breakfast was fine though some could find there was a slight lack of choice. The place was easy to find even just working from a map. Overall pleasant clean and roomy with nice staff and decent food what more could you ask. I'm sure we'll be back.

"Nice Surprise"
Brian_Jill2015, 09 Mai 2017

I have not stayed at a Best Western for some time not sure why, we were pleasantly surprised for the price a great large room very quite clean and comfortable, great staff ate in the bar primarily because they keep bring out great big burgers, my wife had a burger and I had a steak both great, In fact I am back in Corby at the end of the month (May) and I know were we am staying

"Alan & Jenny Bull's wedding 15th April 2017"
rensh3, 04 Mai 2017

We got married at the best western hotel on 15th April , it was a great day, everything was excellent, the wedding venue, the meal and the staff were all very good nothing was to much trouble. Special thanks go to Kayleigh, Liz and Jane who made our day a day to remember. We also spent the night in the bridal suite, excellent room, with en-suite bathroom, very clean. Breakfast was brilliant, a choice of what ever you wanted. Thanks once again to every one that had anything to do with our day.

"Fishing again ..."
Nigel781, 04 Mai 2017

It's a year since my last visit to the area and the weather and fishing was better this time, coldish but not the gales of last year! The hotel has not changed much since the last time I visited and is still good value for money. The only change was that the food was even better than last time and the staff seemed even friendlier and helpful. (There were staff I remembered from my last few visits - a stable staff usually means a happy place which is a good place to stay!) I did comment last time about the noise created by a wedding taking place during my stay - this time no such event and the atmosphere was much more peaceful and relaxing. A most enjoyable stay and I hope this will be repeated next year.

"wedding"
wellsvolvo, 01 Mai 2017

The place seemed to have everything you need a great bedroom with large bed on suite etc.The wedding was held on a purpose built platform with seating etc.Reception was held inside in a lovely dressed room where we had a nice hog roast with the trimmings .The staff were very friendly and helpful and will no doubt go back there.

"Very nice stay"
Simon S, 24 Avril 2017

We stayed on a dancing weekend. The hotel staff were excellent - helpful in every way. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, as was the ballroom. The food at dinner-time was the only let down, as the vegetables were over-cooked, poorly presented and tasteless. This was a shame, as the rest of the food was pretty good - especially the breakfasts. The upstairs rooms are not accessible as there's no lift.

"Nice "
wilburz42, 23 Avril 2017

Good hotel, very clean, room very comfortable, good location not far from weatherspoons and Hungry Horse pubs, Greggs and Subway. Was not offered any Best Western rewards here, even as Diamond Select status

"Line dance event"
Lesley F, 10 Avril 2017

Room very nice and clean. Location good not to far from big shopping area. Dance hall very nice. Food - Breakfast ok but fried eggs and mushrooms rather oily. Evening meals very poor standard. I've had bar food that has been much nicer.

"Excellent hotel"
Neil E, 02 Avril 2017

Stayed for a weekend break with the in laws and this was an ideal base for us all. Even though there is not a lot around here it was still enjoyable and within walking distance to resteraunts and bars. All the staff were really attentative and we were looked after. Afternoon tea we got as part of our package was really nice and the bar staff were really good too.

"A beef about the beef!!"
Wendy L, 01 Avril 2017

A reasonable hotel for a short stay. Our room was fairly modern looking, spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and basic amenities. Most of the staff were helpful and friendly, especially the reception staff. However, our main gripe was with the service in the restaurant. The food was fine, but we had to wait a long time between courses. It was all table service except for the Sunday night carvery, when we were almost the last table to be called to the carvery. And after such a long wait, I was served with just one thin slice of beef, part of which was inedible. I noticed that the men on our table had two decent slices. Sex discrimination or what?? But, nonetheless, we would probably return.

"you get what you pay for"
barbarahanak, 27 Mars 2017

First the good points - a comfortable bed, the room was clean and warm, the staff friendly. The shower worked well. It was quiet. The not so good points: the carpet in my room was stained and the bedside light not working. There is no lift, although I expect a member of staff would have helped with my luggage had I asked for help. The restaurant service on our first night was very slow and the presentation of the food on the plate really awful, it was hard to believe it came from a professional kitchen. However, the food did taste fine. Breakfast food was good

"You can't buy class! You can however experience it here 1st hand"
GeeRawBaby, 01 Mars 2017

I am currently staying here at the Best Western Rockingham forest Hotel in Corby which is great for local shopping, Leisure sightseeing and is within walking distance to the retail park. Within 1/4 of a mile or less is some very significant historical architecture like Rockingham Castle and it's beautifully maintained grounds as well as the hotel being on the doorstep to the old village where you can stroll in the park and also purchase local produce as well as rare antiquities. Within a mile and a half is Rockingham speedway for all those petrol heads who love the smell of octane and car racing. Strategically placed with quick access to the motorway this is a modern and very classy hotel unlike a budget and run of the mill Hotel like Travelodge etc, This hotel boast a huge dining area, open lounge and bar with, projection screens and full sports packages for sporty highlights, more than one venue room, beauty suites, spacious and modern super king sized beds with all the modern amenities you would expect, I am so happy to have a room with a bath and a shower. There's is a very attractive outdoor area for public events which I believe would be for weddings and a very pretty area you can take pictures and be catered for outside. More than ample parking with two huge car parks. I have to say this The manager Warren is a very Accomodating and friendly host, He is very hands on unlike other managers who seem to shy away in the background, Eager to help and make you're stay here a memorable one Warrens commitment to hospitality is a true testament to the success of this hotel. From reception to all the bar staff there is a very professional feel about how your needs as a customer are tended to. Relaxing and friendly smiles I have been made to feel very much at home over my extended stay on business, it has turned into quite a pleasurable experience I might add. At Breakfast there is a clean and healthy varied choice of meals on offer, self service continental, cereal, brioche and pain de chocolate as well as the usual grilled suspects. The Housekeeping ladies are very thorough in their clean, Uninvasive as possible, A good bunch of ladies who also have knowledge of the local area and aren't afraid to take time to go out of their way to speak to you and help, trustworthy definitely springs to mind. I love this hotel Chef...! Wow this mister can cook, a truly delightful menu, bar food and restaurant food, prime cuts, no boil in the bag or microwave here. This gentleman is a truly gifted chef, skilled, Friendly. even interacts with the customer. (No shouting from the swing doors like on the television) Chef has even diverted from the set menu and created me something on request, something more homely. NO COMPLAINTS HERE CHEF in fact COMPLIMENTS TO YOU! I recommend the Hot chilli with rice, nachos, rice, sour cream, You get the picture drool drool in fact the menus are really impressive it would be unfair to make just on dish as they are on a superior level to other hotels I've been to in the past. All wouldn't be complete without the silver service from the bar staff and restaurant waitresses, you do a great job. I can't wait to return here Thankyou all and sorry if I missed anybody out.

"Excellent conference venue "
Dave S, 25 Novembre 2016

I went to a conference here with about 100 other guests and also stayed the night. The main room was huge, all the equipment worked fine, staff were efficient and well organised in serving food and drinks. A group of us stayed for dinner and the food was fine. My room was clean, modern and spacious.

"Ideal stopover"
mlynned, 23 Novembre 2016

The first impression as you enter this hotel is one of airy spaciousness. Unlike some modern hotels, the reception area is warm and welcoming, the staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was large, warm and comfortable, with an iron, hairdryer, and lovely towels and bedding. The wifi worked well too and was easy to connect. Breakfast, I have to say was not great. The scrambled eggs were in a bowl and looked as though they'd been on the servery for a couple of hours. The dining room staff were very nice though.

"Heard of a duster??"
Clair D, 20 Novembre 2016

I went here with my better half for a wedding, they offered a special wedding guest deal and when booking they said for 2 nights would be £80, we thought it was very reasonable, but when checking in they changed this to £80 each! Totalling £160. Very very misleading. The room was very dusty, we found a box of tissues down the side of the dresser and hair clips on the floor! The shower head was full of limescale and looked awful. The room had a large wooden headboard that was covered in dust...weeks and weeks worth of dust, when you suffer with asthma it's just not acceptable. The TV remote was so filthy that we resorted to going to the local shop to buy wipes to clean it! The only positive note I can think of was that the wedding went without a hitch and the room it was held in looked really pretty, but I'm guessing this was more to do with the wedding party rather than the staff there. When checking out the woman on reception never bothered to ask if I enjoyed my stay...which as it turns out was probably a blessing.

"Did the job perfectly"
siaskey, 14 Novembre 2016

Stayed here for an event at Rockingham... great, honest food and a very comfortable stay. Breakfast great too... I stupidly managed to cut my finger and the receptionist couldnt be more helpful, supplying the sticky plaster ;-) Highly recommend this place.

"Dancing holiday"
Sara B, 06 Novembre 2016

Excellent hotel, large warm bedroom Beautiful ballroom with an excellent floor. First class staff who were always very helpful. Only disappointment was the time it took to serve dinner - much too slow.

"Cheap and cheerful "
curlz_10, 06 Novembre 2016

Our stay was reasonable. The hotel looks out dated in some sections but the rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel is good value if looking for something cheap and cheerful. I would however recommend skipping breakfast. Some of it was undercooked and tasted funny. We found a lovely little tea room down the road however that did an amazing breakfast.

"Great Value for Money"
Michael E, 24 Octobre 2016

Very good value for money, a little dated but good sized rooms - all the amenities one needs when away, great value for money. Free parking. WiFi, great location & good restaurant. Recently stayed in a modern, stylish hotel & felt it lacked character, warmth & facilities.

"Birthday lunch"
Christine K, 23 Octobre 2016

Visited this hotel for my nephews 18 birthday. There was a total of 55 people there. They arranged the tables in the restaurant so that the whole family could be together. The food was good with a varied menu. Staff very helpful and friendly. We have also booked our family christmas get together there.

"Clean and tidy"
Jackie L, 11 Octobre 2016

I stayed here while on a course, location was excellent, staff were real friendly on arrival and got all that I asked for in a hotel. I was situated on the ground floor to the rear of the building which meant it was nice and quiet. Room was spacious and all was clean and tidy. Breakfast was good plenty to choose from. I would willingly stay again should I need too.

"your requested comments"
Adrian B, 06 Octobre 2016

overall v poor room dated, staff keen but leadership required, frozen food served in a "quality" hotel ? I am afraid I will not be back here - despite India's welcome and overall charm Premier is a cut above - Travelodge is a logical improvement Poor show at BW on this night!

"Very pleasant venue "
User, 06 Octobre 2016

I went to a conference here with my work. Really good venue, the room was a good size ideal for weddings or parties. The car park is a fair size also, so accommodating lots of people doesn't seem to be a problem. I also noticed a garden area that looked really lovely. I didn't stay over but based on what I did see I'm sure I wouldn't be disappointed in the quality of the rooms.

"bEST WEEKEND"
pamelaf294, 03 Octobre 2016

hotel has a lovely appearance, impressive reception. Were very pleased with interconnecting rooms, Breakfast was ample and of good choice.good situation for shopping at leicester and Peterborough, lovely countryside surroundings.

"At 2 extremes "
Ismael A, 02 Octobre 2016

Stay there a few times and the staff are really good. The hotel itself is really tired and in desperate need of renovation. Rooms are quite airy but feels like stuck in a time warp. Wooden Windows that don't close properly, bathroom taps that come off etc etc. The biggest issue the lack of service in the restaurant. I am always tempted to go tithe kitchen myself and bring my food. The restaurant is understaffed and you light feel the need to jump up and down to get their attention. If you want a drink make sure you order it with your starters so it arrives with your dessert. The hotel had all the ingredients to to a great place but understaffing and slow service in restaurant lets it down.

"Attending a wedding at Best Western and overnight stay."
Carol B, 28 Septembre 2016

Myself and my partner attended a wedding at this hotel at the weekend. The hotel had plenty of parking and check in was very quick and efficient. Our room was spacious and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet. There was no lift - but that wasn't a problem for us. I requested a gluten free meal at the wedding breakfast and also had a gluten free sandwich made for me in the evening. Breakfast had a choice of cereal, yogurt and fruit , and all the usual cooked items.I requested gluten free bread and found all the staff to be very helpful.

"Spoilt By Breakfast"
ChefJDD, 27 Septembre 2016

Unfortunately I have to mark this hotel because of a very poor breakfast, when you are on the road all day this meal is more important than any thing else. The issues: Breakfast was cold, bacon under cooked, fried eggs dried up and awful, scrambled egg over cooked must have been on the hot counter for two hours. Weetabix were stale but still packaged, hash browns under cooked - not a good example. Lots of staff in the dinning area but no one maintaining the counter. I say unfortunate because every thing else was very good, rooms clean and of a good size, reception excellent, bar ok. The evening meal was at an acceptable standard but it was unfortunate that the waitress could not decipher the menu.

"friends' get together september"
Rajkathane, 25 Septembre 2016

We chose this hotel for our annual get-together of friends: it is a large group of about 45. We made a group booking and for a group of this size, it was possible to get a good discounted rate. The management were extremely helpful in making all the arrangements. They have many function rooms, mostly upstairs. There is also a large venue for weddings etc and while we were there, there was also a boxing match arranged there ! Bar is ope 24 hours for guests. Breakfast is adequate and I particularly liked the crisp bacon; perfectly cooked. There is a large green at the back, with out-door wedding venue. the hotel staff were very friendly, helpful and tolerant of the lots of small children who were playing (rather noisily) in the reception area. One particular employee who stood out for me was Leanne, who was extremely accommodating, kind and efficient. Caution about sat-nav post code: Must use NN17 - 2AE for correct location. [Google sometimes comes up with the post code of NN17 - 1AE, that is wrong and will take you away in another direction. ] Great value for money. Rockingham Castle is very nearby. Rutland water, with all its outdoor activities is about 15 minutes drive away.

"What a find!?"
marky12345, 23 Septembre 2016

Found this tearoom almost by accident and so glad we did. Food was fab and great value for money. Staff and management were very friendly and helpful. Will be back very soon.. recommend very highly a little gem. Mark and Maggie 2 satisfied customers.

"A Saturday stopover"
Longshot1949, 23 Septembre 2016

Booked in for one night and glad that it was only one night. The reception staff were very friendly and we were soon booked in. We were out for the afternoon and evening so cannot comment on evening meals etc, however breakfast the next morning was very poor. The bacon was swimming in grease and all the dishes kept running out and staff had to keep apologising saying that fresh supplies wouldn't take long. We had to wait about 5 to 10 minutes for eggs and hash browns which meant that the rest of the food was at best luke warm. In general I really like Best Westerns but I'm afraid this one let us down.

"GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY"
chrisking1234, 23 Septembre 2016

Quick check in , good size , clean and quiet room with a very nice shower. Didn't eat in the restaurant but the hotel bar is nice enough with a pool table. I doubt I'll ever go back to Corby but i would happily stay here again if I did. Didn't see a trouser press though .....

"Needs a bit of TLC"
Chris B, 22 Septembre 2016

I stayed at the hotel for three nights on a business trip and having booked a suite was very pleasantly surprised to have been given the His Lordship Suite, which I am lead to believe is the top room in the hotel. The room was massive and stunning with the wooden panelling and the bed area was very welcoming. Having a jacuzzi bath was a pleasant surprise too. The room was a good size as mentioned, but there was nothing really in it. A long room with a sofa and a couple of armchairs but somehow it felt like something was missing. In all honesty I am at a loss as to what could be added, but maybe the placement of the furniture could be moved around a little or something. As with many U.K. Hotels, this one was lacking that final little bit of care and attention that seems to mark many continental hotels as being a step up. The fly and ear bud that were left on my bathroom floor for my entire stay, and the dead flies that were left on the carpet made one wonder about the level of regular cleaning and there were a few blown bulbs and just slightly run down bits. The dinner in the restaurant on my first evening was very good indeed and I was surprised at how good in fact. Unfortunately the second night when I went down, an hour after the restaurant had opened, I was informed that there was about a 45 minute wait on food. I waited and when the food did arrive it was once again excellent. On the third night when I was again informed of a 45 minute wait I complained and was informed that the food could be brought to my room or I could be called when it was ready. Deciding to have a pizza in my room I agreed to pay room service, grabbed a drink and headed back. The pizza looked like it had been taken from the freezer and heated in the oven straight from a supermarket and even before I saw it, the waitress apologised for it and informed me that they would not charge full price as it wasn't what they would normally serve. Staff were very helpful, especially Leanne who was the receptionist on my first night. Overall a pleasant stay but the restaurant timings absolutely have to be sorted out, and the levels of care and maintenance need to be increased for this to achieve its full potential.

"2 night break"
tweenytot, 16 Septembre 2016

Myself and my husband stayed for two nights with breakfast last weekend. It was a birthday treat for my birthday from my children from buy a gift .com. I looked throught he avaliable hotels and was very impressed by the reviews etc. We arrived around 6pm on the friday and we were impressed by the outside of the hotel, plenty of parking and decoration. we booked in and the man and woman on reception were very plesant and helpful. We went to our room upstairs and as we walked through the double doors to our room we were hit with the smell of cigarettes, (there is a no smokingpolicy and it is supposed to be a smoke free hotel) we entered our room which was a double deluxe well it was far from deluxe. The carpet had alot of stains on, the lampshade was missing from the celling light and the bathroom sink had black scratches on it and the tea and coffee facilities were dire. there were 4 little pots of milk (you need at least 3 pots per cup) a couple of sugars and a couple of packs of coffee.. I said to my husband that we would not get a decent room as it was a voucher and they are clearly not making any money out of our stay. We went out for something to eat as there was nothing on the menu we would eat, there was a couple of places to eat 2 mins drive up the road. We got back to the hotel around 9.30 and went to bed. We did not get much sleep as the windows do not open very wide and it was so hot. Then we realised we were on a main road as the lorries started coming thick and fast throughout the night. A couple decided to have a screaming match on the footpath opposite the hotel at 1.30am that went on or about 1/2 hr. We eventualy went back to sleep around 2.15 am but it was not a restful night as the bed was so uncomfortable. We got up saturday morning and went down for breakfast which was lovley again the staff were friendly and helpful. We heard there was a wedding going on in the hotel that day (which explained why there were a few women walking round in short dressing gowns all morning) After breakfast we went into to town for an hour but as we had not had much sleep the night before we decided to go back to bed for a while. My husband put the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door and wewent back to sleep around 11am. around 1.30pm i heard someone burst through the door which woke me, it was the maid coming to sort out our room, she saw we were in bed and walked back out. (what is the point in having a sign on the door if they ignore it). On the plus side we saw the happy couple having photos in the gardens the gardens are beautiful. We never heard a peep from the wedding guests all day/evening (except when they were staggering to bed saturday night) . On the whole the hoel itself was lovley as were the gardens and staff with plenty of parking it is just the room that let it down.

"A dingy place - avoid it !"

We needed to book a one night stay in the area and The Best Western was suggested to us. I assume that the person who suggested it had never stayed there ! Our room (303) on the ground floor had a smell like an old church, very musty. The carpet was filthy, covered in brown stains. The bedding smelled like it was damp. We were unfamiliar with the area and were only there for the one night otherwise we would have walked out. After leaving an unfavourable review on the hotels online feedback form, I received an email from the manager. It was the standard business response to such a review, thanking me for completing the survey, apologising for not meeting our expectations, followed by an invitation to stay there again so that they can provide us with a better experience. (You've got to be kidding!!) Well I decided to reply to the email enclosing photographs of the disgusting carpet, but the emails were undelivered for some reason, so I will post the photos on here. We've never stayed in a Best Western Hotel before, and are very unlikely to ever again based on our experience.

"Lovely welcome"
MattA1977, 11 Septembre 2016

Arrived around 6pm and was greeted by fantastic receptionist. Very smiley and chatty, are skill missed by so many. Plenty of car parking available. Booked a superior room, which was on the ground level. Room was large and smartly decorated, although bathroom was a little tired. House keeping should have checked all functions in the room in previous clean as bulb in bathroom had blown which left only 1. As no natural light it did make it dark. In addition, 1 of the lamps above the bed was missing a bulb so again, made the room darker than I would have preferred. As only stopping 1 night didn't matter hugely, but little touches do make the difference. Free wifi was good in room. Didn't like much on menu so went out for dinner, therefore cannot confirm what restaurant facilities are like. Overall, good hotel that would be happy to book again, just needs to check finer details in rooms & if did so would be happy to score very good Probably 3.5 out of 5

"Excellent staff"
IAmTheRealMVP, 08 Septembre 2016

Everybody was very friendly from the reception staff to the bar and restaurant staff, on my first night I was seated by John in the restaurant. He was very helpful and seemed to know alot about the menu, he explained what some items I didn't know in a amusing way... the steak I ordered was cooked to perfection. The bar staff was very good and poured a nice pint with jot too much head.... one of hotels I've been to in this general area

"2 night leisure break."
eves664, 08 Septembre 2016

We found everything well organised from check in desk and throughout our stay, all the staff were friendly yet professional ,the public area's were spacious and very comfortable in a modern setting, it would appear that the .vast majority of the business during the week is commercial due to the location of the hotel and the numerous meeting rooms available. The only negative thing is the noise from the busy road nearby coupled with the need to have the windows open on very humid nights.

"One night stay"
Melissa C, 06 Septembre 2016

Had a nice stay here for one night, lovely staff and good breakfast in the morning. Was quiet at night even though they had a wedding going on you couldnt hear a thing which is great as I had a busy day and needed a good sleep. Clean rooms and good tv and internet. Only fault is needs a good re-paint in areas.

"Really didnt want to eat"
Robert I, 06 Septembre 2016

Well staying at Best Western Rockingham Forrest and really didn't want another Bar menu steak!!,, however i ordered the surf and turf and for £16:95 it was great value and cooked really well ,, sum up i couldn't have cooked it better myself and bar staff were great having to put up with my grumpy mood !!,,,i am only posting positive things now as i am fed up with rubbish so trust me food is good here !!

"Great value and service"
Mark W, 05 Septembre 2016

"Good Value Accomodation"
Paul H, 04 Septembre 2016

A basic but well presented Hotel ideal for an economical stay. Clean, tidy and well presented room and bathroom. Free parking. Well-stocked bar and bar meals available to order. Myself and my wife stayed for 1 night for a family party and would use again.

"Enjoyable friendly hotel"
jhughes26, 04 Septembre 2016

Stayed here for two nights. Lovely hotel room clean and spacious. All the staff very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent both sandwich at lunchtime and meal in restaurant in the evening. Also excellent breakfast cooked well and plenty. The hotel is near a main road but traffic noise wasn't too bad considering. Would definitely stay here again.

"This hotel has had a recent face lift."
391stephenk, 03 Septembre 2016

When working in the area this is my hotel of choice. Since I last stayed they have done a good job of upgrading the decor in the rooms and installing new bathrooms. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, the food on offer in the restaurant is of good quality. I like the large comfortable bar area but both the restaurant and bar area could do with a bit of a make-over which I am sure is on the way. Another thing I like about Best Western hotels is that they all have an individual character to them despite being a hotel chain. Good job.

"Very friendly hotel"
Karen F, 23 Août 2016

I chose this hotel as it is less than an hour from where I was working. Very friendly staff and nice clean room. Bed a bit uncomfortable though! The restaurants close by are not great although is a pub next to Aldi although you take your life into your own hands when trying to cross the road to get to it!

"Another enjoyable stay"
Frank B, 22 Août 2016

This is the second time we have taken of more than 45 people and again the staff and food were very good. The rooms are clean and comfortable and despite a wedding and birthday party taking place staff went out of their way to accommodate us and make us feel comfortable. All staff in each department made our stay enjoyable hence why we came back and they delivered again with customer service.

"Gift voucher"
Glenda R, 17 Août 2016

Received a Gift Idea for two voucher, Consider it well spent. Excellent hotel, staff lovely, room spacious and clean, bathroom brilliant. Breakfast perfect. Definitely visit again. Highly recommend. Reception area and gardens lovely

"Pleasant Visit"
samantha f, 13 Août 2016

I've just come back off a one night stay at the Best Western and i must say i was delighted with what they had to offer. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. The food was fresh and delicious, and there was a beautiful view of the garden where we sat.The price was reasonable for a large plate of food. The room was clean and well decorated with a lovely king size bed. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone who is wanting to stay in the area.

"Great hotel"
daisyKentUk, 10 Août 2016

This is my 4th time and this hotel and always had a great stay staff friendly and helpful rooms good size and a nice outside area to sit and have a drink We had a carvery meal during our stay which was excellent and Andy the chef is a great people person The breakfast is excellent so thank you to Lydia she is always around making sure nothing run out and is a really happy person nothing is to much trouble for her and her staff We will be returning thank you

"GREAT PLACE TO STAY"
Carol S, 09 Août 2016

Lovely hotel, bar food excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. Ideally located for touring the area. Could do with air conditioning in rooms (fans were available) as we experienced a hot weekend which was great

"Mini break"
_mwangelatom, 06 Août 2016

Adequate is the best positive word that comes to mind. Room was too warm no way to cool it down as the latches on the windows were broken. Bathroom was not very clean dust and grime on the mirrors and shelving. Bath/shower didn't drain well so ended up with a foot wash at the end of the shower. Staff were polite. We never ate in the hotel but then it seemed neither did many others! Good local facilities and scenery.

"Should be renamed Worst Western"
bigdaddy40, 30 Juillet 2016

My wife and I came away for 2 nights for her 35th Birthday. Standard double room was dirty, bare and desperately in need of refurbishment. To be fair, the very nice girl on reception moved us to a "superior" room which was then only acceptable as was just about Travel Inn standard. Dinner that night was hopeless, my steak was grey and rock hard while supposed to be rare. By the time the replacement arrived, my wife had finished her meal so I refused it. Again, to be fare the very nice lady in charge struck it from the bill. The next night was worse. The hotel restaurant was taken over by a works doo, The function room was taken over by a wedding and there was another doo squeezed in somewhere too. This meant we had to eat out which, to be fair again, the very nice guy on reception recommend a lovely Indian locally. (Royal Tandori on Rockingham Road, excellent). When we returned around 10pm, the bar was a no-go area for us with the stragglers from the earlier works doo drunk, swearing and being rowdy. We chose to go to bed where we were kept awake until 2.30am with people bouncing off the corridor walls on their way to bed after the various functions. We're not moaning oldies, far from it at age 35-40. But this is not the place to come for a nice getaway with the other half. If you're looking for a cheap wedding venue I bet it's great, or if you're invited to one here then stay over....ideal. Otherwise, stay away. This place has chosen it's source of income, probably been forced to in order to stay afloat, but it's FUNCTIONS not getaway guests. Instead for a romantic break, look at little hotels in Uppingham, Oakham, Market Harborough or Stamford.

"Nice hotel, very convenient for the motor speedway"
Moc1970, 26 Juillet 2016

Stayed the night prior to competing at the motor speedway. Couldn't be more convenient for that literally 5 minutes away Bar and facilities are good, the food was of good quality and there generally a good atmosphere at this hotel, as I've stayed a couple of times. Plenty of space parking if you have a trailer (park in the furthest car park) Can be a little lively there normally some sort of event \\ wedding on but it doesn't intrude too much. I would certainly stay again.

Mystery1142, 22 Juillet 2016

I'd recommend this hotel, not least for its friendly and efficient staff. My double room had a comfortable king-size bed, modern furniture, good size TV, tea/coffee facility (biscuits replenished each night!) and was scrupulously clean. There was a good shower and plenty of towels in the clean en-suite bathroom. I ate at the hotel's restaurant twice and couldn't fault it - there was a good choice from both the bar menu and the restaurant's evening menu and prices were reasonable. Bar drink prices were also very reasonable for a hotel and service was swift. Plenty of parking at front and rear of the hotel and there is an attached beauty salon, also reasonably priced. The only fly in the ointment was that my room was at the rear of the hotel, which is adjacent to a very busy main road - and it was a pretty noisy when the windows were opened - but I probably wouldn't have noticed that in cooler weather with my windows closed.

"GREAT LITTLE HOTEL"
Stewart B, 21 Juillet 2016

great little hotel, nott much to look at from car park, however, once inside it was a different story. Rooms were ok for the rating, but the best experience was the rear terrace. well appointed decking to rear, felt like you were in the country side, glorious setting to sit out of an evening and enjoy your fav tipple, restaurant dining was great, and a great pint was served at reasonable prices....however....avoid the £1.90 excessive charge for a 500ml bottle water...at least Dick Turpin wore a mask when highway robbing. LOL

"Best Western at its best"
cathy s, 19 Juillet 2016

Stayed in Best Western, Rockingham Forest, Corby for one night on a leisure trip and found it to be extremely well run, smart, clean and friendly. The room was on a special deal rate and was a very good size with lovely decor, a 32" flat screen TV with all Freeview channels. There was plenty of seating, tea and coffee making facilities, a very large and comfortable bed and plenty of electrical sockets. The bathroom was very stylish and clean with a bath and shower over it. Complimentary toiletries and towels were provided. It was a lovely location with excellent restaurant and bar facilities. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. My only gripe being that it was near a busy road and with the windows open due to the extremely hot weather we could not hear the TV at a reasonable volume and we were uncomfortably hot as there was no air conditioning or a fan. Maybe we should have asked reception for a fan, but didn't want to be a nuisance. Overall a great night's stay and would definitely stay there again. Would recommend this hotel if you are in the vicinity.

"Lovely place to stay whilst visiting overnight."
Ian E, 17 Juillet 2016

Four of us stayed here whilst doing a pub visit in the area... several pubs in fact. We had pre booked for two twin rooms at £80 each including breakfast. We arrived at about 3.45pm the main car park was totally full but there is other parking around the other side of the building which had only about 5 vehicle parked and as it turned out one of the rooms overlooked the car. We checked in and were all given individual keys for our respective rooms and we were all given 24hrs free wifi requiring and email address to login. One on the ground floor and one on the first floor. Te ground floor room had a door to an adjoining room it would have been good to have got both rooms together but didn't know this was possible at time of booking. The rooms were very nice, with TV and Tea/Coffee making facilities available in the rooms. Beds were quite comfortable however, both of the rooms seemed unbelievably warm and despite having the small transom windows open fully in the rooms it was impossible to get cool.. so quite a warm and sweaty night of sleep... Good job then that there were really good showers in the rooms with soap, shampoo and towels all provided... Breakfast was in the restaurant which is medium sized and roomy we were offered a table near the french doors which was nice as they were open and it was cool... Tea coffee and juices all provided by machine, cereals were self service... and the hot breakfast its were on the buffet.. there was also fruit and breads available at the server... all in all excellent food, nothing under or overcooked which was a pleasant surprise... Fried Bread was all crusts but nicely cooked and crispy without shattering under the knife... all in all truly excellent... Staff at Check in and Check out were pleasant only downside was the heat in the rooms... despite radiators being off etc... air con would have got the an excellent rating but even so still very good bordering excellent. many thanks to all.. Would definitely stay here again if visiting the area.

"A large best western"
jon l, 17 Juillet 2016

This is one of the largest B W seen, great reception and bar area, also good sized garden area for outside functions. just one problem on the ground floor rooms with bad smell of damp and fusty. room large enough but does need a face lift here and there. All the staff were fantastic for help and service as we had a snack during sunday lunch due to a concert outing.

"Overnight stay"
Sarnogram, 16 Juillet 2016

Stayed overnight on a Saturday. Hotel decoration was a little tired but rooms were spotlessly clean. Had no hair conditioner but soap shower gel and shampoo were supplied. Hairdryer was a travel type which did the job but not as good as my own. £120 a night included breakfast No marmite for our toast. Had a coach of elderly people arrive - probably because rockingham castle is only open Sunday's and Wednesday's. Friendly staff.

"Nice Break "
garfy15, 15 Juillet 2016

We stayed here for a two night break with afternoon tea it was amazing, staff are so friendly and accommodating, special mention to the receptionist never got her name but a lovely girl, we arrived at 11:30 to see if we had the right hotel, which we did, she said our room wasn't ready yet which was fine with us. Told us to come back for 12:30/1 and she would try and get our room ready when check in wasn't till 2! We came back at 1 and checked in, afternoon tea was amazing and out of this world. Every single staff member in your hotel was so friendly and always smiling, thank you for such an enjoyable stay.

"Afternoon tea"
Gill R, 13 Juillet 2016

With excitement & anticipation a group of us arrived for afternoon tea, we had pre booked but we had one extra person. The table was laid with sandwiches & cakes & looked lovely. We sat down & started passing the sandwiches round the table, when a platter got to me, (the other one was empty) there were enough sandwiches for myself & the rest of the ladies to have one each. All the other ladies had taken 2 each. We asked if we could have more & were told that there had been 3 each on the table, (everywhere else I have been for afternoon tea, there have been 4 sandwiches each)we said nobody had had 3 & some of us only one. If we wanted more it would cost us an extra £2 each, so we said no thank you, then a more senior member of staff came out & said we could have some more. There were ham salad, cheese & pickle & the extras were egg mayonnaise, so not the variety one expects. Bearing in mind this was afternoon TEA, a teapot was brought out & cups started filling, we had to ask for more tea or hot water which was eventually brought out, but those few, about 4, who wanted coffee had 2 double sized pots brought to the table, we were never asked which we wanted to gague numbers.I would expect to have a whole scone each, but they were cut in half with jam & cream & not 2 each. There were also, lemon drizzle cake, carrot cake, Victoria sponge & lemon squares, but not enough for one each, even taking into account our 1 extra. The food was ok but not exceptional by any means & I certainly won't be rushing back.

"Brilliant sunday lunch"
User, 12 Juillet 2016

First visit for lunch was the best carvery I have had in a long time never think of going to a hotel on a sunday fantastic food staff lovely lots of space relaxed atmosphere great price would like to suggest that you would stay open longer for lunch as most places in the area have a longer time spot on a sunday not all people like to eat early will be coming back for sure thanks Nancy W.

"Surprised at how good this Hotel is!"
Cliff S, 12 Juillet 2016

Looks very 80's from the outside, but dont let that put you off. It is very clean and spacious. All the staff are pleasant and look pleased to help/serve you. Lovely bedrooms, comfortable and clean. Buffet breakfast which was cooked well and trays kept topped up. nothing had dried up and all looked freshly cooked. Nice variety for those not wanting a cooked breakfast. Breakfast tables spread out and spacious, which beats those hotels where the room feels overcrowded. I can highly recommend staying here.

"Good business hotel."
p d, 05 Juillet 2016

Must have stayed here 20 or 30 times over the last few years. I thought it was time I gave it a mention. There are a number of hotels around the Corby area, and they all seem very busy. This hotel is amoungst the more reasonably priced, hence it is often quite full. The staff are very good and professional. The rooms are ok and quite spacious. The room corridors are very drab however, and if you are upstairs, the floorboards are incredibly noisy! Most visitors to this hotel are either workmen or businessmen during the week, so nearly everyone gets to bed at a reasonable hour. There is a very busy road outside the hotel, and is only quiet between the hours of 11 at night and 5 in the morning. The windows are not double glazed, and therefore noise can be a problem in some of the rooms. The food is not bad, but are at hotel prices. There is a large Weatherspoons about a 10 minute walk for those who prefer more reasonably price food and drink!

"A short break courtesy of the generosity of our daughter in law turend out well"
John N, 03 Juillet 2016

The hotel was well connected by road and outside the town of Corby. Parking was easy and convenient and the hotel was laid out well with good separation of bedrooms from restaurant and bar facilities. The room was well appointed and included two comfortable easy chairs. The restaurant did an excellent breakfast and an evening meal we had was also ok, though the service could have been better, but it was friendly.

"Brilliant venue"
Carly M, 30 Juin 2016

I have spent five days at the Best Western running a conference for over 550 people. The venue is great, with plenty of space for what we needed but what really makes this place is the staff. Nothing is too much trouble, anything we needed was sorted promptly and efficiently. In particular Jamie, Kayleigh, Warren and Clare have been great. The catering has been delicious and plentiful. I would definitely recommend this as a conference venue.

"Excellent Conference Venue"
louiseO6900NN, 30 Juin 2016

Excellent Venue and hotel, lovely and friendly staff. Lovely food and a happy place to stay. Special thanks to Jaime, Kayleigh, Claire and Steph and OF COURSE who could forgot Warren!!!! Thanks guy for all your helping in making this a great venue for our Conference

"one night stay"
carolinelaudrum, 28 Juin 2016

My husband and I stayed for one night in a lovely suite with a large flat tv,good size bathroom with a Jacuzzi, plenty of hot water and soft towels. we had a very warm welcome when we arrived, the food was excellent with plenty of choice at breakfast. All the staff we came across were friendly.

"Sisters wedding"
Kathryn and Rob B, 28 Juin 2016

We stayed in this hotel for my sisters wedding, the rooms are lovely, the bar food is good, the staff are exellent nothing was too much trouble as was the staff in the hairdressers. The wedding its self was amazing!!!!! if i wasnt married already i would choose here to do so could not fault it if your looking for a venue look no further. One thing we would say is some of the carpets and furniture in the lobby and stair way could do with up dating but that is only a small problem.

"Best Western? More like Worst Western!"
Happytripper1974, 27 Juin 2016

So, we arrived late on Saturday night having dined with friends in Wiltshire. We noticed that there seemed to be a party/wedding going on but thought nothing of it as it was already late. The night porter checked us in and gave us our room key. We went off down one of the corridors to our room. On arrival we noticed that the door was OPEN. Looking up the corridor we noticed that this seemed to be a common theme. We cautiously entered the room in case it had been burgled and attempted to shut the door, that didn't work so we had to slam the door shut (sorry if we disturbed you) we then locked it. On looking around the room, which was difficult due to the only ceiling light being in the entrance, we noticed that the carpet was covered in stains of a wide variety throughout the room, the furniture seemed to have come from a junk shop, the bed was lower than a child's first bed and a strange TV stand which looked more at home in a front room adorned the corner. I say looking around the room but with the rest of the room lit by table lamps and the lack of plugs you would be hard pushed to charge your phone, watch TV and actually be able to see what you were doing at the same time... Perhaps this was to distract you from the lack of cleaning that had occurred in the room, had I of known the carpet would have been so stained I would have brought my Vax! There were strange stains on the net curtain, a dead insect in the toilet bowl and the pillows were thinner than a ream of cheap paper with not a spare in sight. We were shattered so got ready for bed and decided to brave it out thinking that the next day would be better and it was just a place to stay as we had activities booked in the area. How wrong were we .... Within about 5 mins of being in bed, the time now approaching midnight screaming, shouting, banging, clonking and slamming of doors started. We even heard a plug being put in and switched on as well as the creaking floorboards from the rooms above. Eventually we managed to get to sleep but it was about 2am not great when you had been driving most of the day. Rudely woken up at 7am by more slamming and crashing about we showered .... Water ended up all over the bathroom floor due to the lack of a seal under the shower door (instead there was an inch gap) such a simple thing that if fixed would make less of a mess, instead I mopped it up with toilet tissue. We headed off to breakfast which was ok I've had worse but I've certainly had better, we then headed off for our day out. On arrival back at the hotel just after 845pm on Sunday night we noticed that there was another wedding/party being held, guests were milling out on to the car park, cars were abandoned like the Christmas rush at the local supermarket and some looked like a child had parked them... Disappointed we made our way to our room, discovering that the room opposite seemed to be having a party as people were in and out dressed to the nines... We then discovered that our room key didn't work, so leaving my partner I trundled back to reception to have it redone and then went back ... People were milling about in the corridors, in the way etc... On entering our room my partner said to me that he didn't want to spend another night in the place and that we should find somewhere else. A quick search on the web and we came up trumps, booked a room (check out my other Corby review) packed our bags and got out of there. We spoke to the young lady on reception and off we went. Now, you can not fault the staff at the location, all were pleasant, but here's an idea ... Put all the non party/wedding guests in one corner of the hotel so they can have some peace, and don't advertise that the hotel has been done up when clearly room 310 has not. Our weekend away which was a Christmas gift was tainted by this poor "Worst Western" and I doubt we will ever venture in one again.

"Dissappointing"
rmargaret2013, 25 Juin 2016

This is the third time we have stayed here and each time it gets worse.. The room was hot no air conditioning no fan and to top it all the heating came on in the middle of the night. The bed was uncomfortable the mattress was uneven The breakfast was acceptable but the staff are less than helpful For the money it is poor value

"As always great "
gdzgdzgdz, 24 Juin 2016

I like staying in this hotel as it is on the outskirts and it is quiet. As I am staying there mainly for business I spent there mainly evenings so for me room must have comfortable bed, good wifi and clean bathroom. I have all there. As always the strongest point of this hotel are people who are working there. Nice and polite, very helpful. Lydia is making great breakfast and packed lunches. She is very positive person and you can meet her sometimes during breakfast time. Thank you for my last stay that was as always very nice and comfortable. Regards and see you next time - Greg.

"Corby"
MHodkinson, 23 Juin 2016

Excellent hotel, far enough away from traffic so as not too noisy. Breakfast choice excellent. Lounge area can get a bit noisy but other areas are available. Garden decking in good weather is a must. Overall, one of the better Best Western's

"Restaurant "
Lynn D, 15 Juin 2016

I've visited here several times with work, and the food has always been good. Today however their new menu was absolutely fantastic. The quality and choice was outstanding. The staff front front of house to the kitchens were friendly and professional

"Excellent value for money"
malamb, 14 Juin 2016

We stayed for two nights midweek in this Best Western hotel and were pleasantly surprised. We pre -booked at a good price, the hotel is modern, clean, good sized room with large flat screen TV, a clean functional bathroom with plenty of piping hot water. Check in was quick and easy with friendly helpful staff. Breakfast was more than adequate with cereals/full English etc etc well cooked. The only downside for us was the Hotel is just off a very busy road, and traffic noise was quite loud. ( the weather was extremely warm and 'muggy' on both nights so we needed to have the window open, so to be fair if window closed it may have been quieter). We would happily stay here again if in the area.Plenty of free parking.

"Pleasantly Surprised"
mgibbo53, 10 Juin 2016

I stayed here for one night at the end of May. The cost of the room was quite cheap so I had low expectations but I was very surprised with the hotel. I was given a warm welcome and although the floor in my room was a bit creaky there was very little noise from other rooms. There was even a wedding or other event going on but I didn't hear anything all night long. My bathroom looked like it had been recently refurbished and they certainly hadn't skimped on quality. I had to leave before breakfast so can't comment on the food but I would definitely stay again when I come back to Rockingham and would recommend to others.

"Excellent resting place."
caroler462, 08 Juin 2016

I found the room clean and well maintained. The view over the garden was lovely to wake up to in the morning. The room was quiet and I had a great nights sleep after flying in from the USA. The only thing that was missing was decaffeinated drinks options.

"Great wedding venue !!"
Hdragna, 08 Juin 2016

A huge thank you to all the staff at this hotel. We absolutely loved our Wedding Day here !! We were able to get married at the hotel and straight in to a beautifully dressed room which opened out to an amazing enclosed garden. Our younger guests were able to run and play safely which meant Mum's and Dad's could relax and have a good time. We had a hog Roast which was amazing , lots of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the food. We had 42 guests stay in lovely rooms overnight and the hotel made sure we were all seated together for breakfast in the morning. Breakfast was all you can eat with a variety of cereals, fruit and full English ...perfect. Special thanks to Kayleigh who helped us plan our day ...nothing was too much trouble and Kayleigh happily accommodated the personal touches we asked for and was at the end of a phone or email if I had any panic moments throughout !! We had an amazing room/ suite as part of the package which was just the icing on the cake. I would thoroughly recommend this venue for your special day ...it is easy to get too , lots of parking , super friendly efficient staff and really good value for money -- Thank you all so much

"Pity about the neighbours."
skyelover_10, 06 Juin 2016

Despite the high quality of the décor and restaurant facilities, the comfort and facilities within the room, this visit was badly spoiled by shouting and screaming from adjacent businesses which lasted well into the early hours of the morning.

"Fishing trip - pity about the weather"
Nigel781, 04 Juin 2016

I have stayed at this hotel several times and have always been very happy with it. This visit was good value for money with good facilities and the food was perfectly good. The one thing I think makes this hotel stand out is the extremely pleasant and helpful staff. My only comment, which I made to the manager at the time of leaving, was the noise level in the general bar areas of the hotel from a wedding party and a group of visitors on a one night stay. I will probably be visiting again next year for a fishing holiday, hopefully with better weather than this time!

"Average and disappointing"
Moffat269, 30 Mai 2016

The room was comfortable and quite clean although the window sill needed dusting to remove grit and dead insect. The other facilities were a bit tired. The reception area was welcoming and modern but the rest of the hotel needs freshening up. Lobby carpets and furniture were tired. The dining room was quite welcoming and the staff very friendly and helpful. Dinner was served quickly and was hot. Breakfast was not good. All self service including tea, coffee and toast. There was a poor selection of wine in the restaurant from the bar and did not include any white wine at all by the glass The quality of food wasn't great at breakfast either especially the sausages. The range of choice very limited. All seemed to be cutting costs as the main mission. Pastries minimal and fresh fruit limited in choice too.

"A nice dog friendly break"
foalua2015, 29 Mai 2016

We had some short-break vouchers and chose this hotel because we hadn't visited the area before and because it was the ONLY one that allowed dogs. We spent two nights there, in a very large comfortable downstairs room. The hotel was clean and well appointed with a large car park, easy access, and some space to the side where we could exercise the dogs. The staff were all cheery and helpful, which we appreciated. The breakfasts were excellent although the evening bar meals were not quite as good. The location is great for Rockingham Castle (although this seems to be closed to the public more than it is open), East Northamptonshire and Rutland, which we spent a lot of our stay looking round. The nearest town is, unfortunately, Corby, which is god-awful and I would avoid like the plague. Head north - east and enjoy the countryside! A few quibbles - the tourist info in the hotel had attractions in Stoke and Birmingham (both over 50 miles away) but nothing about the very attractive areas immediately to the north; the room was a little tired (e.g.missing wardrobe handles); and a busy road passes close by, with noise levels intrusive at rush hour. However, for our purposes the hotel worked well and we enjoyed our stay.

"Second visit to this hotel"
Sheila W, 21 Mai 2016

We (our club members ) have just stayed for a second time at this hotel. It is a lovely hotel, very roomy and we found the whole hotel very clean. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We had a lovely room with a huge bed, an ironing board and iron , hairdryer and trouser press Tea, coffee and hot chocolate sachets were available.Good size TV.

"Very enjoyable stay"
Tony B, 18 Mai 2016

Had a 2 night break with my wife on the 16th / 17th May. Very bright and spacious foyer and rooms clean and comfortable. Although we did not eat in the restaurant or drink in the bar it all looked very pleasant and well laid out. Staff courteous and friendly. For s short break I would definitely recommend it. Corby just 2 miles away, and is you like your Wetherspoons there is one just a few hundred yards away.

"Perfect for the Motorsport weekend"
sab7786, 07 Mai 2016

I was looking for a hotel close to Rockingham speedway and this was the perfect one. Only a 5 minute drive away it was easy to find. Upon arrival I was helped quickly and politely to get my room. The room was great, it was comfortable and there was no noise at night. The breakfast in the morning had a great selection which was good for me as I'm a picky eater. I'd definitely go back and recommend to others!!

"Perfect for a weekend stay"
mediumpete83, 06 Mai 2016

I've stayed at the Rockingham Forest Hotel twice recently and both times, everything that I experienced there was excellent. The staff will go out of their way to make your stay as welcoming as possible, and in both cases, the reception staff were polite, friendly and didn't overload you with bureaucracy like you get in some hotels. Instantly, you are made to feel welcome. The rooms are very comfortably sized and you don't feel like you'll be cramped at any point. You get everything you would hope for from a hotel, and if there's ever an issue, the team at reception are quick to sort it (I've even seen one of them hunting for a bedside lamp for someone - that's what I call dedication!) One of the biggest plus points is the bar at the venue, which feels open, welcoming and has a great supply of drinks. They're not overpriced either - about £3 for a pint of ale which is really quite good! And if you go for food pack an appetite, the dishes you get are going to keep you from starving for days. I highly recommend a Rocky Burger for any fan of a true "gourmet burger" - delicious! The breakfast offered is also amazing - you won't go anywhere hungry if you have it! I will definitely stay here again in future - it's one of the best hotels I've had the fortune to stay at!

"Dirty"
rmp1968uk, 05 Mai 2016

By far the dirtiest hotel I have had the misfortune to stay in for quite some time. Ample carparking, adequate reception, but no lift to the upper floors so pack light. Breakfast is ok - but they have the tiniest glasses for juice, and I have no idea where they source the smallest croissants in the works from - ridiculous! Wifi is sporadic. Bring cleaning materials is all I would say!!

"Great value hotel"
Patricia D, 04 Mai 2016

We stayed on a two night break with a voucher and found the hotel great value for the price we paid. We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful receptionist. Our room was large and modern with an ensuite bathroom and both had been well cleaned. The large bed was very comfortable, but the room was warm so we would have preferred thinner bed covers, but this is something we often find in hotel rooms. Breakfast is a hot and cold buffet with plenty of choice. We ate in the restaurant and found the food to be well cooked with large portions which are good value for money. All the staff we met were well trained and very friendly.

"What a great hotel"
Frankie J, 29 Avril 2016

This hotel is excellent. We stayed here the night before a wedding with our newborn baby. I called in advance and the receptionist was very helpful and friendly. They offered us a cot for the room and I initially said no as i thought we were bringing ours. We didn't end up bringing it so I asked when we checked in and they had a cot brought to the room within the hour. The room service was fabulous and delicious. We stayed on the ground floor which I had requested because of the pram. The bathroom was fabulous with a jacuzzi bath which I didn't have time to try unfortunately! Lovely little terrace and view out the window. When we checked out my partner had to call reception to ask someone to come and help with the luggage and pram as I wasn't there, and they immediately sent someone. Lots of good parking, and a drop-off point for taxis etc. I didn't try the breakfast but other wedding guests said it was good. The whole place is clean, light, modern and professional. We were very impressed with this Best Western.

"A Good Place to Stay"
robinoflaughton, 29 Avril 2016

This is a busy, hardworking, hotel, easily earning its star-rating. It makes no pretensions nor does it have any gimmicks. Busy during the day with meetings and conferences and used as overnight accommodation by people travelling on business or working away from home, it is reliable, comfortable and good value. My wife and I found it an excellent base for touring the area around Rutland, Leicestershire, South Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire.

"Let's get away from it all!"
Chris N, 25 Avril 2016

My partner and I needed a well deserved break after looking after the grandchildren. We were given a voucher for a two night stay from their grateful parents, so off we went. As soon as we entered reception we were greeted by Ros who, although we were early phoned Housekeeping to see when our room would be ready. We went into the bar whilst we waited and were greeted by Sean, a new recruit who we soon learnt knew a lot about his new surroundings. Our bedroom was a beautiful room overlooking the garden at the rear of the hotel. The bed was comfy, two armchairs (usually most hotels have only one) and the bathroom spacious. Everything was clean and the décor of a good standard. The breakfast was super - everything hot and tasty. We ate in the bar and in the restaurant - all meals taken were presented beautifully and good value for money. We were sad to leave and promised to be back!! A delightful and restful experience. Thank you all very much.

"Private Dinner Function"
alibeat, 22 Avril 2016

We recently held a formal work dinner in the Fernie Suite. From the point of booking, communication between myself as organiser and their staff was excellent. This continued to the evening of the event. The service was spot on and compliments flowed throughout the evening regarding the food and atmosphere. The meals were presented very nicely and portion sizes were good. We pre-ordered a 3 course meal with three choices per course for 55 guests. All in all a wonderful evening!

"Two night trip"
clawhammer, 18 Avril 2016

With an hotel voucher we chose to stay at the Rockingham Forest Hotel and being a very critical and fussy couple were pleased to find this modern hotel was staffed by lovely personnel. It was a warm and very comfortable place. It had a nice looking restaurant although we had a bar meal. The breakfasts although buffet style were very tasty. It was on the outskirts of the town with plenty of free parking. Very convenient for Corby, Rushden or Oakham where we chose to visit some factory shops, Argos, Lands End etc.,

"Our amazing Wedding!"
Lucia H, 29 Mars 2016

WOW!! This hotel does not disappoint! We booked to hold our wedding ceremony and reception here and I cannot fault them on anything. Nothing was too much trouble and every need was catered for. The staff are fabulous and so was everything about our day. We booked to stay for 2 nights and so did lots of our families and they were all very impressed too. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. I am s happy we chose to get married here as it was the perfect venue and the perfect day. Thank you so very much. xx

"Cracker in Corby!"
Sheps5558, 22 Mars 2016

This is a great place with a really friendly staff. We were impressed with the quality of the rooms & the cleanliness. The breakfast was excellent with a great range. The hotel is well situated. There is a Wetherspoons, a Hungry Horse, Greggs, Domino's & subway just up the road. So, there is plenty of choice.

"Two day Break"
John P, 22 Mars 2016

The location was ideal for touring the area and the hotel and bedroom were clean and warm The reception staff were very pleasant on arrival as were the restaurant staff Room 306 was a quite room facing a large lawn area which is available for exercise Adequate car parking

"Great Place!"
Inbar91, 21 Mars 2016

My boyfriend and I went for a weekend away just as a treat. The hotel was not your typical best western - it has clearly been refurbed and it looked great! The room was spacious and spotless with all the amenities we required, breakfast was delicious and the staff were super friendly and helpful! (even the night porter who we interrupted when we arrived late on Friday).

"Helpful staff, we enjoyed our stay"
KathyAndRoy, 13 Mars 2016

Stayed on Friday night, our first room was lovely but had a large shower instead of a bath. My husband had injured his knee and wanted to soak in the bath so I went back to reception and explained and we were changed to another lovely room, this time with a bath. Very helpful man on reception who also gave us a map of the area when we were checking out on Saturday. Hotel very close to Rockingham Castle which was closed for the winter, would like to return to the area in the summer and visit the castle.

"Excellent"
Gabriella G, 10 Mars 2016

Couldn't fault the hotel at all! Reception new starter was lovely, bar staff very good and the room and bed was spot on! Added bonus was getting a free late check out. Would stay again and recommend. Gardens are looking great too. Nice for a wedding

"noisy"
Ronda O, 06 Mars 2016

this hotel dont look to bad from the outside it has a nice waterfall the kids loved, the reception staff are friendly and welcoming, our room was a huge room in the corner would have been a great size for me hubby and our kids but we couldnt stay in the room as it had some god awful smell that got stuck in the back of ur throat, the staff were helpful enough and offered a plug in air fresher lol but even they realised the stench was too bad to cope with all night, they put it down to the carpet being cleaned! they gave us a new room that was tiny we had to squeeze one of our kids in our room and then squeeze the other one in with their aunt on put u up beds, its really noisy in this hotel, we were on the ground floor and the floor boards and stairs leading upstairs were so noisy everytime someone walked accros it sounded like a elephant :s we finally dozed of, the breakfast was the best bit about the stay to be honest, full english self service and juice machines so the kids can help themselfs also, but i was disapointed with the stay and glad to be going home

"one night stay"
rmargaret2013, 06 Mars 2016

Visited for a meeting and stayed over. SAT NAV is no good leads you astray and then difficult to find. Expensive for what you get looking in need of some love and attention Staff are doing their job and no more. At times alot of noise and beds not the most comfortable

"Very friendly receptionist but limited food on Sundays"
ruthmich, 02 Mars 2016

The receptionist was exceptionally welcoming and friendly. The room was a good size and nice and warm.Breakfast was good with a decent selection. We had booked a meal in the restaurant but the waitress greeted us with the information that a lot of the menu options were off because their stocks always ran low on a Sunday. The food we did have was good without being amazing.

"Home from home"
benwin1607, 02 Mars 2016

I stay at the hotel every week as I work in the area and it really is a comfortable place to stay. The staff are very friendly. From the reception team to the restaurant/bar staff and up to the management they cannot do enough to meet your needs and help you out with anything. The rooms are very comfortable and well furnished. I have even had the pleasure to stay in some of the luxurious suites which are very fancy and have bathroom facilities (jacuzzi bath, double shower) that make you not want to go to the bedroom. The breakfast selection is excellent and very tasty and there is a good selection in the evenings. The Chef's are very accommadating with any slight tweaks you may require to your choices also. Nobody likes being away from home but when you stay here, the environment, people and service doesn't make it all that bad.

"Perfect for all parties and functions!!"
Krishna G, 01 Mars 2016

I have used this venue in the past for family parties and functions and will continue to do so in the future. I want to start by saying that the event staff are amazing (especially Kayleigh) and always accommodate all requests wherever possible. I had my sister-in-laws wedding here on Saturday and again, all of our guests couldn't say enough nice things about the look, feel and hospitality of the hotel. Some of our guests stayed and really enjoyed the rooms and restaurant on site for breakfast. This venue is perfect for Asian weddings, not only are they extremely flexible to the ideas that you have and how to create your perfect day...it is also a beautiful place and the Rockingham Suite is big enough for most ceremonies. Thanks again to all of the staff at the hotel, all of you made the day feel very special!! We will be back very soon....xx

"Really nice hotel, friendly staff and lovely food!"
Abbey_216, 28 Février 2016

We stayed here for a couple of nights for my partners birthday. When we first arrived we thought the hotel looked quite old and dingy from the outside but we were proven wrong. The en suite room was absolutely spotless with a huge and very comfortable bed, complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits, a large flat screen TV, an iron in the wardrobe and a hairdryer in the drawer. We had a buffet breakfast on both mornings with a variety of foods including cereals, croissants, fruits and a cooked breakfast. The bar food was lovely as well and very reasonably priced for the portion sizes you get. Unfortunately the floor boards in the hallway are relatively creaky and you can hear people plugging into the sockets in the rooms either side but other than that you can't fault anything else about this hotel. There's not an awful lot to do in the area for young couples but it's great for a quiet relaxing weekend away. Really happy with our stay here and would recommend it to anyone. Everyone is welcome including dogs which I thought was really nice.

"A lovely break and centrally located"
Rosemary G, 27 Février 2016

We picked Rockingham Forest Hotel as it was in a good position for us to visit Bletchley Park and Ely, Cambs. A huge car park back and front makes parking very easy. The modern exterior of the building doesn't do the inside justice really. The reception and lounge areas are lovely and comfortable. There are plenty of intimate quiet lounge areas ground floor and first floor to sit quietly and read. Background music is set at the right pitch so as not to be distracting. The staff are very friendly, helpful and cheerful from the minute you walk into Reception and throughout the hotel. The room was nicely decorated, spacious and everything worked. We ate in the hotel for breakfast and dinner all four days and the food could not be faulted. The portions were very generous, excellent quality and hot - apparently chef doesn't believe in small portions. I doubt most people could eat a three courser here. There is a very cheerful atmosphere within the hotel and I would gladly recommend it to anyone visiting the area, and will definitely stay there again if in the area. The Manager must be very proud!

"You will not be disappointed with this hotel"
Carol J, 19 Février 2016

Excellent hotel in all respects. Bedroom and en suite clean and especially comfortable. Nice bright and warm place. Dogs made very welcome - a place to let them spend a penny, biscuits and bedding for them too. Food good - cannot rate this hotel too highly. Staff very caring and nothing too much trouble. Do hope to stay again soon.

"Lovely hotel 5*"
aaronchambers605, 18 Février 2016

Enjoyed 2 nights staying here, upon arrival we got given a free upgrade to the "His Lordship Suite" without even asking for any personal specifications for our stay, staff were lovely and very polite, all in all 5*

"Modern Hotel, Friendly Staff!"
Amber B, 14 Février 2016

Took my partner away for Valentine's Weekend to this hotel it is beautiful as you walk inside so modern and stylish!! The reception staff straight away were so friendly! Asking if we wanted to book a valentines meal at the restaurant etc very helpful, she also let us check in a few hours earlier which was really considerate and a bonus, never had a hotel do that so I thought that was fantastic! The hotel itself has lots of seating areas, the bar was good and stylish and stayed open till late which we liked! Also had a pool table, the restaurant was lovely and the food was delicious! We had a 3 course meal and couldn't move after it was all cooked to perfection. We also had breakfast in the morning which was lovely it's like a buffet so you can keep going up and you can also get your juice or coffee etc from the machine. The room itself we had just a standard room so I obviously knew it wasn't going to be stylish and may need a bit of a revamp, the only part we wasn't happy with was the window wouldn't close and there wasn't a safe in the room so we did feel a little uneasy. How ever I did write that on the questionnaire form and I'm sure the hotel will sort it as soon as possible, that is the only thing I could complain about the rest was lovely! Would be amazing if the hotel had a swimming pool and jacuzzi but it really was wonderful! Didn't catch the ladies name who was on the reception on the Saturday morning but she was very friendly and also Gemma in the restaurant was very friendly! So well done to all the staff at the hotel you made our stay wonderful! Drinks were a little pricey at the bar but I usually find most hotels charge quite a lot for drinks we had to double vodkas and it came to £14. So make sure you take plenty of cash! But overall lovely weekend and will definitely return to this hotel!

"Relaxing"
paultrevor, 14 Février 2016

A very pleasant surprise, the rooms are very spacious with probably the best hotel bed I have slept in;comfortable and big. Lovely bathroom funky shower over biug bath tub. Breakfast usualk fare, I loved sausages, wife did not. Had an excellent beef Wellington for dinner on valentines, there were problems but dkinb sorted by members of the excellent staff. Management you have a talented team . The surrounding area includes a relaxing wetherspoons , Corby will not win awards for sites but shopping and residents good.

"Top class"
travelerman18, 09 Février 2016

Booked this hotel for one night as our son's band was playing locally, have to admit we were not expecting much but boy were we surprised. Well appoined comfortable and clean bedrooms, we had the best nights sleep in a hotel we have had for a long time. Top marks for the bed blow what adverts say about another chain. Drink and snack in the bar , again no complaints good food and friendly staff what more could you ask for. This was meant to be a one off, but think we will stop there again to explore the area more.

"Charity trustee"
Trevor J, 05 Février 2016

The cleanliness of the bedroom was not up to standard (there were long hairs in the bath and a very dirty teaspoon) but otherwise the hotel was excellent. The staff were pleasant and both the evening meal and breakfast were fine.

"Perfect location"
Teresaags, 02 Février 2016

A very nice comfortable hotel, close to all amenities. Situated just outside Corby but a short taxi ride to centre of town for just a few pounds. Very welcoming staff. The rooms are a nice size with very comfortable beds. The décor in the corrdors is a bit tired . A lovely breakfast too.

"One night stay after fire at booked hotel"
Roger T, 01 Février 2016

We were booked at nearby Hilton but due to a fire we were transferred to this hotel. The staff coped extremely well with the sudden and unexpected influx of guests and I can't praise them enough for their friendly and helpful manner. The room was excellent and the bed very comfortable giving us both a good nights sleep. The hotel benefits from a large car park. The buffet breakfast was the best we have ever had with the large choice and quality of the food.

"SHORT STAY"
William P, 28 Janvier 2016

Groupon offer available when our bathroom was being fitted and we needed a couple of nights out of the house. Great rooms and staff, unfortunately the fire alarm went off in the early hours both nights. Manager suppossed to call us about the issue but never did!

"Kettering & District Caledonian Society Burns Dinner & Dance"
Marion E, 25 Janvier 2016

We held our Burns Dinner Dance at the hotel which the staff helped to create a family atmosphere. Great care was taken to make sure that all aspects of the occasion were professionally dealt with. The large sprung dance floor was ideal for all forms of dancing. The food was excellent particularly the Haggis. After our overnight stay a most welcoming breakfast awaited us in the morning after a restful nights sleep in a very comfortable king sized bed. We will have no hesitation in booking future events at the hotel.

"Hampton couple short stay"
351sandraj, 24 Janvier 2016

A great offer on Groupon convinced us to have a night here. We were pleasantly surprised with our room when entering. A large well appointed room, king size bed and nice view of the garden area. Bathroom also sparkling clean. Fantastic nights sleep and woke up at 9am on Sunday morning. Haven't slept this late in years. Reception staff are warm and welcoming. Just a short walk to the castle. Be aware it is closed until March. Check website.

"Stayed over Christmas Period; another Best from Best Western."
SilverBullet96, 19 Janvier 2016

We stayed 25th-27th December inclusive, and from the point of check-in onwards, greeted by Allen on reception, our Christmas break was made very special. All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, with an excellent eye for detail, in terms of ensuring service levels were maintained to a particularly high standard. Accordingly we wish to extend our thanks to the following members of staff, for missing part of their Christmas, to ensure we could enjoy one of our own. Warren's (General Manager) Team of: Allen (Rec), Greg (Waiting), Jane (Waiting), Conner (Carvery), Heather (Housekeeping), Rosamund (Rec), David (Head Chef), Liz (Management) and Gemma (Waiting). We are looking forward to returning soon; kind regards to one and all, C&D.

"Better than expected with a wow factor"
clintcarol, 18 Janvier 2016

Stayed 2 nights via a Groupon deal and there is nothing to fault at this hotel. Arrived and checked in very efficiently by friendly staff. Our room 203 was a big spacious room with a large King size bed and single sleeper for our 4 year old daughter. The ensuite was clean and spacious as well as modern. We had dinner both nights and the meals were well prepared and staff very please the and helpful. Breakfast both mornings was more than adequate including a continental option at the self service breakfast buffet which was a great treat. Coffee and juices etc were available from table top machines. It's hard to find any fault with this clean and modern hotel with plenty of parking spaces also. One suggestion to the manager; smokers as I've experienced at numerous hotels spoil the entrance with cigarette butt's discarded everywhere and smokers standing by the entrance. Again, this was a great stay at a modern and pleasent hotel I can recommend to everyone and unless you're the fussy £100 service for £1 type you won't be disappointed. Free wifi incidentally, complimentary tray and advice in the room and with reception on things to do in the area. We also had a iron and ironing board in the room and hairdryer. Stay and enjoy.

"One Night Work Stop."
PSS1919, 14 Janvier 2016

The hotel itself is very clean and spacious, plenty of free parking. The rooms themselves are a good standard and kept very clean. Reception staff are very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast is great with plenty of choice and very attentive staff. The negatives for me would be the bar food, ordered a steak and asked for it medium - It was probably only flashed in the pan for 2 minutes - very rare. The onion rings that came with it were like cardboard and bought from a local supermarket. Bar staff seemed very rushed off their feet at busy periods and had to wait over 10/15 minutes to get served. You couldn't be a secret agent in this hotel, the floor boards creek that much your very wary about waking up anyone in the rooms next door. Will stay again but will probably choose to eat elsewhere

"Clean and spacious"
Ned D, 12 Janvier 2016

very spacious and clean, friendly staff, the castle was closed so please check before yo book, the hotel accommodates dogs, so whilst this did not affect me, it mat affect other perspective customers. the rooms were great and hotel felt clean and spacious

"Great stay!!"
karinamottley, 06 Janvier 2016

Came here with a £40 groupon voucher. Highly recommend the place! Very friendly staff, room was large and clean. Big TV and a king size bed and of course free wifi is a bonus. The breakfast was great (self service) plenty to choose from. Couple of tiny tiny things that could of been a bit better- my reading light didn't work and generally pretty poor lighting in the room. Our shower acted more like a hose pipe but was still nice and hot.Restaurant a bit too pricey for us so went down the road for some food. We would definitely come back here and I will recommend it to all my friends! Keep up the good work guys!!!

"work"
Reddevil689908, 04 Janvier 2016

I have stayed here at least once a per week for the past 4 years. not really had many issues to think of. staff are friendly & pleasant enough. room could be of a better standard in some parts of the hotel but otherwise I get a decent nights sleep whenever I stay here.

"A disappointing Boxing Day meal"
Keri J, 31 Décembre 2015

Both my partner and I are vegan. At the time of booking our Boxing day meal, we were assured that this was no problem and that we could be catered for. Unfortunately, this was not the case. When we arrived we requested the vegan starter from the member of staff who took our order. She seemed to be aware that there would be two vegans in this party. We were then served a mushroom tart with cheese. There was no vegan starter ready for us so the solution was to have the pea and ham soup, obviously without the ham. After that our confidence that the main meal was vegan was undermined. Finally, we enquired about the vegan dessert, only to be told that none of the desserts were vegan but they 'could do us a fruit salad'. Clearly, no provision for our dietary requirements had been made despite having received prior notice and payment for the meals. The result was a very disppointing meal and afternoon.

"Christmas Day dinner for 14"

Had a lovely meal at Corby best western today all staff so friendly & helpful and dinner was lovely even granny didn't moan! It was a lovely family atmosphere and I felt safe with my 6 & 8 yr playing best chilled xmas for me yet and no dishes!! The girl in events who helps you book , plan your xmas day is so good

"Amazing family get togethers"
936kayt, 20 Décembre 2015

I cannot recommend this place enough. We usually have our family get togethers here at this hotel as they can always cater to groups of our size. Alan on the front desk always seems to be the one taking our bookings and is always helpful, knowledgeable on the hotel and its services and is a pleasure to deal with. Hopefully he will still be there when we return in the New Year. The bar and restaurant is great to spend time with friends and family and we have never had a problem with the food. The décor is a little dated but I have noticed the changes in the hotel so hopefully the bar and restaurant will be updated in 2016. If I can make a suggestion, for those on a budget the bottles of wine are slightly expensive. The competition in the area do bottles of wine at much cheaper prices. Not a big issue but for those that are cost conscious it could be a deal breaker. I look forward to returning.

"great staff"
mike d, 17 Décembre 2015

more modern hotels locally but this one has very nice rooms on just 2 floors and the staff make the whole stay well worth the money. clean and well laid out rooms and decent food too. a truly family atmosphere from staff as a good mix of mature experienced staff and some youngsters just staring out on there working lives make for a good team with smiling faces unless they were laughing at me?

"Very nice but no sleep....."
Vik599, 06 Décembre 2015

I stayed here with my works Christmas Party group this weekend. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the hotel is well presented and my room was lovely.... ... Apart from the fact that it was freezing. I got in from the party very late and my room was like an ice box. I checked the radiator, which was switched off so I turned it on and nothing happened... Until 5am when all of sudden it sounded as if someone was in my room banging on the radiator with a lug wrench! I got up and turned the radiator off and the noise stopped. I then made the mistake of turning on the bathroom light, the extractor fan sounded like a generator was running in my room! The bed was very comfortable and thankfully I was on my own so I folded the duvet in half to get warm and did manage a little sleep. Pillows were very thin and had to be folded in half too. The party was fun, the food nice, breakfast buffet was good and as I said before the staff were very accommodating moving furniture to seat our large group in the bar and proving and helping to find glasses that one of our party lost. Overall I would recommend this hotel to friends but would advise them to check the heat is turned on before it gets too late and to take their own pillows.

"Nice and quiet "
gdzgdzgdz, 04 Décembre 2015

Very nice and quiet hotel. As always I like to come back to this hotel because of great people that work there. Lydia is making the best breakfasts in Corby. After refurbishment it is getting nicer and nicer. Aha there is one thing more. They have very nice place for weddings. If you want to get married go and check for yourself.

The Fernie suite was well laid out, a lounge area and room for the children to play. The food, very good and the staff attentive The breakfast chef, Lydia, was brilliant. We've already booked for next year.

"good value"
filibeg, 23 Novembre 2015

hotel a bit dated, staff spot on and very much on the ball. room lay-out first class. great value for money. Will always be my first choice when in the area. no parking problems and Wi-Fi problem free and a good signal

"Not impressed"
T661981, 17 Novembre 2015

We visited here for a bite to eat mid week and I'm not sure I would return. Decor very dated (picky I know!). We arrived and found they had a pool table which was great so we had a few games while we waited for our food! Well we waited and we waited and we waited.... When it arrived I actually couldn't eat my chicken as it was that bad and I'm not a fussy eater, I actually wrapped it in a napkin and took it home for the dogs! The waitresses were lovely however and they got the 2 stars, as for the chef I think he needs a little coaching! Stay away from the chicken dishes!

"Waited 3 and a half hours for food"
T1117TPbenw, 08 Novembre 2015

Hotel and room generally good. Dinner catering was beyond awful. Was told to book for dinner, which I did. Was sat down at 6.45, didn't get starter until 8.20 and main until 10.20 as the chefs had left the kitchen to serve another function. This was not communicated. Organisation was non existent. Was fine to stay at so long as you're not dinning...

"Best-friendly!"
Kaye H, 05 Novembre 2015

I stayed here with my 5 year old son fron 30th Oct-2cnd Nov. I booked a double room bed and bfast and children 5 and under ate for free. It had been a few years since i had last stayed here and i was very impressed with the layout and how it looked. On arrival on the Friday we literally checked in and threw our bags in and ran back out but the room was fresh and clean and had radiators that you could control the thermostat for so even though it was chilly when we got back later that night it soon warmed up. I really want to praise the stff here. Andy behind the bar and Clare in reception. My son talks......a lot .......to anyone! And they both listened and chatted to him for ages. Clare rang housekeeping on halloween and asked then to leave my son an extra biscuit which they did, Andy spoke to him about his own son and chatted about games etc. He had also seen us on the sunday going out for a walk and later that night when i went to get a drink he asked me if we enjoyed our walk and where we had gone. There was two ladies doing the breakfast on the Friday and the Monday who were fantastic and again made such a fuss of my boy. Nothing was too much trouble. We even had to go back to the room on monday to fetch the pictures of what he had looked like on halloween because they wanted to see him dressed up! The other guests were lovely, it was fairly busy due to murder mystery nights and various things and there was a good atmosphere. On the Sunday eve i managed to spill a whole glass of wine all over my bed and carpet, i rang reception and someone was down within seconds, new duvet fitted and fresh towels left for me to replace the ones i had used mopping it up. The breakfast was nice, sausages were lovely and plenty of everything. Being away just me and a 5 year old doing a jam packed family visit is always pretty stressfull but the staff made me feel like he wasn't being a pain or that they had better things to do. This really took the stress out if things and helped me to relax when i had the chance. Thank you to all for a very nice stay. We will be back again!

"Not the best...Western"
Colin D, 05 Novembre 2015

Stayed here for one night on 2/11 whilst visiting the area and sadly Not very impressed with hotel I'm affraid. The reception area looked good on arrival and receptionist was very friendly and helpful, however when we got to our room we were disappointed at how worn out it was...dead flys on windowcill, stains on carpet and ceiling (from leak upstairs Im guessing) Squeeky floor boards in bedroom and hotel corridors as well. Our room was next to busy road, so noisy all night long and impossible to sleep. Lovely big tv but unfortunately the reception was rubbish so we could only watch one programme for about 15 mins before the reception went and you had to turn over to another channel. We didn't eat in restaurant as it seemed abit pricey, we ate down the road at the Weatherspoons which was brand new, lovely food, good service, great prices and nice atmosphere. We did have a drink in hotel bar when we got back, which was nice enough but only a few other people there. The restaurant empty and a few people eating in bar. Not much atmosphere. After a bad nights sleep we checked out. The gentleman at reception took our payment and didn't chat, he didn't even ask us how our stay was, he wasn't interested im affraid. It's a shame as could be a nice hotel but not recommended at the moment.

"Rocky Horror Resurrected Murder Mystery Night Event"
Steve F, 01 Novembre 2015

I've attended four of these now, each one seems to surpass the previous event held at this hotel. As it was Halloween, the hotel was busy but that didn't mean a decline in service, if anything they excelled infact. There was a 3 course meal, which between the 18 of us everyone at the complete menu - with no complaints. The food was hot and very good indeed. There was plenty of vegetables too. The staff were always on hand if anyone needed anything which made all of evenings an enjoyable one. Murder Incorporated provided the entertainment and they too were better and though most of us got the wrong murderer (ok a couple of us did, not me!) we thoroughly enjoyed the acting and the interaction. If you've not been to one of these before then what are you waiting for. A couple stayed over and stated what a good sleep they had & the breakfast was really good too I'll be back for the next one on 27 February 2016.

"Disappointed"
julesx-p, 01 Novembre 2015

Just returned from a two night stay with my husband as we needed a bit of R & R following a stressful time.we were hoping to spend most of the weekend 'holed up' in the hotel just chilling as we figured there was everything we needed to escape from the stresses of life...a room, restaurant and a bar! on arrival, we headed to the restaurant which was busy and loud (but, ok..we didn't expect it to be quiet..that might have been too much to ask). This didn't last long and soon, we were the only ones left eating (it was still only about 7pm).Again, this was fine, if not a bit weird as the staff were busy stripping the tables all around us.Having asked for the dessert menu,we were then left..to the point that we gave up waiting and left. The meal itself was OK.. Nothing special (especially for the price). On enquiring the following morning how much the buffet style breakfast was (£8.50 each) we decided to head a short walk down the road to Wetherspoons which, by comparison served a lovely (large) freshly cooked breakfast and great coffee for us both for less than £10- a saving of over £7. We ate here in the evenings too ( great selection/great prices and atmosphere).During our stay, the reception on the TV was extremely poor (many guests complained).. We were told that it was due to a problem in the area (but not every tele was affected?). Anyway, we won't be returning. Probably ok if you're visiting the area out of necessity but if you're after a nice chilled out weekend, slobbing in front of the tele then you may be better staying at home.

"Nice hotel, a little noisy and hard to find"
L1220, 29 Octobre 2015

When I stayed at this hotel I remembered recieving an email saying not to follow the sat nav as it would take you to a different location and it provided instructions to follow. This however is difficult to follow if you are travelling from far away and have no sense of direction such as I! I had to call twice to ask for directions on how to get to the hotel, it would make more sense to provide details of a postcode nearby as I had to keep stopping the car to look at the directions that had been emailed to me. When arriving at the hotel the staff were very nice, they didn't offer to help me carry my 4 bags I was carrying which was a bit of a shame so I hauled them up 2 large flights of stairs alone - saved me going to the gym i guess! The room was comfortable but the walls were very thin and when I stayed there were quite a few builders staying over, this meant that I had to listen to a lot of loud swearing whilst they were on the phone in the room next door from both sides (I'm not even sure if they were talking to each other). Luckily I travel a lot so I had my (industrial) sized ear defenders to hand and managed to get to sleep. For dinner I ate two starters which were very nice, staff were chatty and friendly as were other people in the bar. There was an odd boiler noise in my room too, I think the boiler must have been located somewhere close to my room as whenever someone turned on their tap within a 5 mile radius it would wake up the boiler which would raw and rumble for a little while before returning to its slumber! Great location hotel and I would stay here again I think I would just specify that I would like a quiet room - very clean hotel.

"where,s everyone gone ??"
bob708, 27 Octobre 2015

its a great place with lots of room ,great bar , foods good. but there no one there. booked for a long weekend, fine no problem ,turned up good room. food good, beer very good, but the place is a ghost town, sorry where have they all gone ?? just a short walk from the hotel and your in the countryside, which is great for walks and wildlife.

"Plenty of parking, decent bar and restaurant"
John B, 27 Octobre 2015

The hotel itself can be a bit tricky to find as it is on the A6003 on the way out of Corby. Once there you will rewarded with a good sized car park. The reception area is huge and the staff friendly. The bar is well stocked and was busy all the time I was there or in the restaurant. There is no where within walking distance so just as well really. The food in the restaurant was served quickly and efficiently. I'd stay here any time again.

"A Family wedding"
ibizaboyMiltonKeynes, 25 Octobre 2015

Arrived on 22nd Oct. for 2 nights & was made very welcome by the efficient reception. We were here for a family wedding & there where quite a lot of family members staying. We had a great evening buffet & wedding breakfast, which were all well presented. The rooms were very comfortable, in fact too comfortable, as I did not want to get up on both mornings! The hotel looked after all of the wedding guests without exception. The breakfast was well presented & plenty of choice. Eat as much as you like!!! On the day of the wedding I was a little early at the bar, & on my own, The hotel staff were all busy at that particular time, & the manager, who was in the area at the time, came over and apologised for the wait & served me my drink himself. A very nice touch, most appreciated. If I have cause to require a hotel in this area again, I would definitely book here again. Thanks for making us all welcome.

"Great when you find it!"
Andrew M, 21 Octobre 2015

This seemed an ideal stopping point on our way from the West Country to north Norfolk. Working from SatNav directions for post code, we took 2 shots at finding the hotel - SatNav's problems, not ours. So your's might do the same thing! Very efficient reception, executive room spacious and spotless, heating/aircon efficient, decent sized tv. Only problem was towel heater in bathroom (the only source of heat) was not working. Quick call to reception and someone came up to investigate. (We were offered an other room, but declined as we had installed ourselves) Looked like blown fuse. Five mins later and back with replacement fuse and all working. No need for 1st class degree in Greats from Cambridge! Job done, very efficient. We decided to have dinner in the hotel and were pleasantly surprised to have a very good meal, well cooked and excellent service. Excellent breakfast too. We were fortunate to book this room at half price! Excellent.

"Excellent"

"An out of the way place worth finding.."
Shilumbu, 18 Octobre 2015

Whilst this hotel is somewhat off the beaten track, it does surprisingly well. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the beds nice and firm for a good nights rest. The hotel food is better than many hotels I have recently visited.

"First class"
Robert C, 15 Octobre 2015

Superb hotel , very well appointed and very spacious. Our room was excellent and very comfortable. We did not have an evening meal there as we were out and about all day but enjoyed a very good breakfast there and a special note about the waiting staff who were very helpful and welcoming with beaming smiles, I did not get her name but the black girl especially was excellent.

"Excellent value for money"
Killerwhale125, 12 Octobre 2015

My husband and I g got a great weekend deal through living social. We found the hotel clean and tidy. The staff were all welcoming and friendly. We had dinner and found that to be your standard sort of pub food but nice all the same. The breakfast in the morning was buffet style with a lot of variety.

"Good with excellent customer service"
DennisCardiff, 05 Octobre 2015

My partner and i stayed here for the second time in three months on Saturday night. The room was very good, very clean and quiet. The reception staff were most helpful. In the morning we invited 4 guests to have breakfast with us. We had done this before, and again it was no problem, and it was a first class cooked breakfast We spoke with Lydia, the Scottish lady, who was most helpful and polite. We will certainly return, good value for money and very helpful staff. THANK YOU.

"Highly recommended!"
philthefish801, 04 Octobre 2015

Excellent friendly service, made to feel welcome as soon as we checked in (Claire you are a star). Large clean room and facilities, with an excellent buffet style breakfast. Can also recommend the restaurant. Will definitely use again when in the area.

"Great Hotel - Food appalling"
juliatki, 02 Octobre 2015

The hotel itself was great, clean, friendly and a huge room. I would definitely use the hotel again. The Very Good rating is for this reason. However..... 1 the menu did not describe adequately the food that was served i.e. BBQ chicken burger was actually chicken breast shoved in a white bap and smothered in BBQ sauce 2 food served was not as described on the menu i.e. steak chips served not French fries 3 the quantity of food served was ridiculous, the chicken burger was actually one and half chicken breasts, the bap was the size of a side plate, there was enough chips for four portions and lastly the lettuce in the burger was iceberg and limp Please update your menu and reduce your portion sizes. We did advise the duty manager who took all our comments on board and said she would pass them on.

"In dire need of an overhaul, but okay"
Rainer1908, 01 Octobre 2015

Rooms are spacious and generally clean, although there were some small dried spots of blood on 2 of the pillows. Not too big of a problem as the comfortable beds (if you like soft) had 4 pillows to choose from. Bathroom was also clean, but the shower was very iffy: low pressue meant the water just dribbled out of the rain shower head and the showers have shower curtains :( The (omnipresent) firedoors are very noisy, as is the entire hotel: bring earplugs! The food in the lunch buffet was far from high cuisine and frankly not very good: dry fish or greasy meat. The floor, covered in carpet with a very wide variety of stains throughout the hotel, is extremely creaky, which is very annoying when you're in a meeting with presentations and people walk through the room, creaking away. However, it's relatively inexpensive, wifi's good, staff is okay and the beds are comfy.

"An OK hotel"
j w, 23 Septembre 2015

Not an east hotel to find on Satnav as Rockingham Road is long and the hotel is situated at the end farthest from the town centre. Stayed here for 1 night midweek on business, friendly meet and greet, room clean and large with comfy bed. Basic tea and coffee, no flavoured teas or biscuits, bathroom tired with a leak around the top of the shower head which flooded the bathroom. I didn't eat evening meal there but did go for a good pint of Doom Bar but otherwise the bar was dead. There was a good buffet breakfast and overall my stay was Ok,
