Best Western Executive Inn & Suites

Great value for the area, clean quiet room. Comfortable bed. The pillows are lumpy and the frig was not cooling down. I was able to call the hotel directly and get a senior rate which was the best rate overall. Other things I noticed was a bright red stain on the carpet and side of bed which appeared to be from a spilled drink. Bathroom was very clean. Access to I-20 or I-26 easy.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are very clean. Great location. Had to modify an upcoming stay and the front desk was very helpful in getting that done. Any minor issues I have had were resolved very quickly with no problems.

I needed to switch hotels to be with my colleagues for a conference. They charged me the first night even though I called before 6p and moved to another Best Western. I'm a very unhappy customer. I believe if you are in the service industry you should do everything in your power to ensure your customers are satisfied. This was not the case for me and I can only imagine where else this lack of customer care will be seen. Beware!

Bathroom had blood and hair in it. Owner stated it was cleaning supplies. I am a professional cleaner with a medical background for more than 30 years. I know the difference. Bed was lumpy and internet kicked you off constantly.

This facility was clean and everything was in working order. The room was comfortable. The breakfast was better than expected. We enjoyed it. I would definitely say that it met our expectations for the price we paid.

I have stayed at several best western hotels and this one is just not up to the standards that the others seem to have. The showers/bathroom is severely outdated. The shower head sits about 5 feet tall so you have to bend down to shower. The toilets don't flush correctly. Coffee maker in the bathroom. Kind of gross now that I think about it. Overall it was a roof for the kids and i for the night but I don't think i would return here.

This hotel was very clean. Well lit and welcoming. We felt safe the entire time we were there. Staff as friendly and helpful. Wonderful experience after a long day of driving. Comfortable bed, nice hot shower.

The hotel made it very convenient for things to do downtown. I would recommend it for anything you choose to do in the downtown area. It was clean and met my needs. The people at the front desk, and managers, were very personable.

This was an older property in need of upgrades and a deep cleaning. Don't get me wrong it was clean, but it just felt like it needed a deep cleaning. They did not provide conditioner which may be the first time I've ever heard that at a Best Western. The staff was very nice and breakfast was Okay, just not a lot to choose from.

This hotel is very well kept and spotless. The service at the front desk is kind and quick. The staff for the free breakfast are kind and caring. The general manager of the hotel is a very responsible person and is obviously proud of his hotel! Highly recommended!

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. We stopped for one night en route from Indiana to Florida. First off, it was very clean. We had trouble with the remote and the front desk agent was extremely helpful. We didn't use the pool but it was well taken care of and very clean. Breakfast was delicious and Sangita at the front desk was delightful. We will definitely stay here again.

We stopped at this hotel on our way to a vacation and it was just what we wanted. It was clean, comfortable, and quiet. It was easy to get to from the Highway. The staff was professional and very cooperative. We will stay here again.

This hotel is very clean and the staff was excellent. They made you feel very welcome and made sure to ask several times if everything was alright. The breakfast was excellent too! The breakfast area was spotless, well stocked, the waffle iron worked perfectly and the room itself was clean and had a warm welcoming feel. Our room was spotless including the bathroom and the AC worked as it should.

We were in Columbia for a concert. This hotel was a convenient location. The Front desk staff was friendly and very helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fine. Coffee was very good. It was a good stay for reasonable price.

Unwise to raise voice at a customer. Unwise to be combative towards a customer. I politely asked if the channel could be changed on the TV in the Dining area. (I was the only person present & have been the only person person last nine mornings) Rather curt answer "No, this is a Public Area and this TV stays on CNN" (It was on HGTV yesterday) My response was "Whatever you say" At that, the person behind the desk stood up and with a loud voice said: "What did you say?" My Sister and I came to Columbia due to family emergency. The room was clean, quiet and very comfortable. The beds were very comfortable and the HVAC kept the room heated/cooled to perfection. Breakfast was normal fare but good. We enjoyed the waffles, yogurt, raisin bread...etc. The staff was friendly and helpful. Great stay.

We were pleasantly surprised at what a nice place this was to stay overnight after 11 hours of driving to get some rest for the last additional hours of travel to Florida. The hotel was very clean, staff was nice and the mattress was even comfy! Was greeted in the morning with an energetic, smiling clerk. There was a nice breakfast set up however we didn't take advantage of it with the long drive we had ahead of us - just wanted to hit the road. It did look decent however. We would stay here again for sure.

I write a lot of reviews for a living and I love when I'm able to write a positive one! This hotel is super clean and modern. Parking is very easy and close,check-in was fast and professional. The associate named Wanda was amazing as she checked me in and assisted me with local restaurants. The hallways are clean, the vending area is well maintained and the room was superb! Perfect temperature upon entering, bathroom was spotless, bed was like resting on a cloud. I've stayed in a lot of hotels around the country and this is most definitely in the top 10 for convenience, customer service, cleanliness and comfort! Will definitely stay again when coming back through. It's always nice to feel so welcomed. Customer service is few and far between these days but Wanda is an exception. Best Western is lucky to have her.

Stayed here for 1 night on route back to Canada. Of course you can never tell and they don't tell you when the hotel is under construction. Seems like 50% of the BW hotels I've stayed at over the last 4 weeks have been under construction. Problem with the construction out front was that it was raining and I couldn't get under cover to get my things out of the car. The rooms were average and clean. Breakfast is always nice when it's included.

We started for three nights with my daughter and her soccer team. The room never got cleaned, not once. We were told that it got cleaned every other day, which is crazy, but never got cleaned anyway. Terrible experience. Stay away from this hotel. Tons of better options out there.

Recently upgraded hotel with helpful and courteous staff, in an excellent location for ease of access to the Columbia and adjacent area. The breakfast offerings were plentiful, eggs and sausage better than others I have had. Was impressed by how spacious the room was (this was not a Suite), bed very comfortable and refrigerator was at least 2x the size usually offered. The hosts George and Sangita are a large part of the reason we will definitely stay here again.

Enjoyed our stay at this location. Staff was very helpful and courteous. Better rates than downtown Columbia. Clean rooms did not have the overpowering smell of pinesol and smelled clean and fresh. Bed was comfy didnt want to get up to checkout.

BW will not honor quoted prices; will over charge you; will put holds on your account for more than twice the quoted race; will blame others for their mistake; will call you a racist for wanting to address the root of their mistake.

For a 2-night stay and a bill that should have totaled $619, my account was bill $1,965. My advise - SELECT ANOTHER HOTEL, otherwise BW will steal your money and blame your financial institution rather than take responsibility for their own incompetence.

On our way North to visit sights and family. We always stay at a Best Western and we are never disappointed. This hotel is located with easy on and off the highway. Clean rooms and good breakfast. Restaurants in the area but only a few withing walking distance. r

We had a reservation but arrived early, about 1:30. We knew there was a chance the room wouldn't be ready yet so we asked for recommendations of places to go as this was our first time in Columbia. The woman behind the desk was very friendly and helpful, even though it was obviously a very busy time for her. She offered several options for us and we chose to go to Riverfront Park where we spent a very enjoyable couple of hours. The same woman offered several suggestions for dinner also, but she did warn us they might be closed on a Sunday and she was right. We opted for a Mexican restaurant only about 1/2 mile from the hotel and again she gave us good advice about how to park, etc. we certainly thank her for her helpfulness. The hotel itself was very clean and neat and she was able to accommodate us with a room on the first floor. In these difficult times when hotels are still dealing with Covid protocols and lack of help, it is wonderful to still find helpful and pleasant people.

Needed someplace quick to stay to drop my son off at Columbia College (less than 10 minutes away) so we decided to come up the night before. We took a quick dip in the pool which was very clean but there were no towels or a place to Dispose of wet towels. The room was clean with adequate linen. The entire staff was friendly. The breakfast left some things to be desired but was overall OK. It was the normal three choice of cereals waffle maker with microwave eggs and sausage. There were yogurt and fruit choices available as well. They were also coffee and tea with different creamers. Ultimately, we will stay here in the future as it was a good price for a good quick stay

I arrived at the hotel about 2:30 p.m. and was able to check in promptly. I had prior reservations, so I didn't have any problems getting into the room. the room was clean and pleasant. The air conditioner was working well, and the room was nice and cool. The refrigerator was also cold and ready. The bathroom was clean and fresh towels were available. I didn't use the workout room, because I didn't have time, but it was also available. The location was also a great plus because it was only nine minutes away from the church I was attending for the conference.

I made reservations online ahead of time, we pulled into the property in early evening, nice looking building and grounds. The lobby was very clean and nicely appointed. Check in was quick, and our room was spotlessly clean with all amenities in good working order . Room was quiet, beds and linens were crisp and fresh. We will definitely choose this hotel on our next trip through this region.

Great, friendly staff, very clean, good breakfast with fresh fruit, good coffee. Fitness center, pool, Drapes didn't close to keep out bright lights from parking lot. Everything was very clean, easy parking.

Their was a police raid during my stay and they arrested a guy right outside my room. This is not a safe hotel. When I told the manager, she was unconcerned and told me I was mistaken regarding what I witnessed.

We were in town for a family emergency. From the time we arrived managers Steve and Sangita were amazing! Time and time again they ask if we needed anything. The rooms were very clean and the hotel is a nice location. Definitely giving 5 stars!!

Enjoyed our stay in Columbia, SC, visiting friends. Rooms, parking, and amenities were very good. No issues at all. Staff on duty very attentive. Close to interstates and restaurants. Property very clean.

The clerk at the desk had zero personality and did not recognize us as Diamond members. The room itself had a broken sink handle which provided only a trickle of water. The handle to the toilet had to be held down in order to flush it. Also, the toilet was extremely close to the floor. We had to ask for the extra blanket we had requested on making our reservation and we had to ask for wash cloths, as there was only one in the room. A large gap all around the door to the room allowed light to stream in all night. Breakfast left a lot to be desired. Usual scrambled eggs and tasteless sausage paddy, no pastries, but some muffins and baking powder biscuits. No waffle iron and I never saw a toaster. Juices were in jugs. Robust coffee was not. On the good side, though near a train track, the room was quiet all night. And the shower was the best of anywhere we stayed during our trip. Internet speed when measured by speedtest.net was a fast 47 Mbps down and 32 up (Up speed being nearly 4 times as fast as ours at home). Little wonder they removed "Executive" from the name and service.

Our room was comfortable and clean as was the entire hotel. The check-in clerk was efficient and friendly. Breakfast was typical for a Best Western and the breakfast nook was clean and cheerful. Food was replenished quickly. The proprietors were also efficient and friendly during the morning breakfast and check-out. We would stop at this Best Western again.

This is the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed at. The rooms were large, with a modern updated decor. The customer service was excellent. Breakfast was hot with a nice section. I definitely would stay there again

We decided to stay in Columbia for two nights, and we were happy with our choice. This Hotel was very clean and had good breakfast. Employees were very nice and welcoming. We will stay here again when we are in the area.

$100 per night for a room that smelled, sheets were damp, the tub backed up, and there was pee on the toilet seat. It has also been 5 days with no refund on my security deposit (which I was required to make because I paid with a debit card). This place was gross, the people were rude. I will never stay at a Best Western ever again.

Arrived and checked into our handicap room only to find it smelling horrible and moldy. Opened curtains, turned up a/c and then found mold in the bathroom sink. Spoke to the front desk, Chenoa, who immediately moved us to another room with many appologies. Room was comfortable, hotel quiet and breakfast fairly good. Some hot food including protein which we require for a diabetic. Close to interstate.

Check in was great as the lady at the desk gave me a great rate and honored my BW gift card. My room was very nice as she upgraded me to a mini suite. It was clen and quiet. The breakfast was hot and offered a decent variety.

It was a great short stay. The staff was pleasant despite our late check-in. Hot breakfast with lots of options. Clean room and comfort bed. Wonderful place to lay you head for the night or a long stay.

Don't take this wrong, the property is descent but my family won't do business here again. Timothy at the front desk was very nice and let us check in early but management without my permission or knowledge went and charged and extra $120 for checking in early.

This BW was excellent from the moment we checked in for the night until we left. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and nice. Staff were very helpful. The breakfast, was more than satisfactory especially considering the Covid restrictions. Also, it's located directly off I95 and very easy to get there and return to I95. I highly recommend this hotel!

Had a flight issue, separated from our luggage, and needed a place to stay; glad to have been provided a clean and safe room. The service was great, and the staff was hospitable. There was also breakfast free of charge.

In the Columbia St Andrews area this is one of the better motels. It is very clean and newly remodeled. The price of the room was reasonable. There were a few minor issues in the room which I brought to the attention of the owner. When I checked in I was greeted by Sangita (a owner) and had a very nice conversation with her. She made suggestions for dinner that night and really made me feel very welcomed. If you are looking for a good nights stay this is it.

I stayed here Saturday, March 27, 2021. My room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the receptionist who checked me in was helpful. Aside from the hallway smelling like smoke, the building seemed modern and nice. Unfortunately, the AC unit in my room wasn't working properly and there were building noises (something repeatedly shutting off and on) during the night that made it hard to sleep. I politely mentioned these issues to the manager (Sangi) the next morning and asked if it might be possible for me to receive some type of discount, especially since I had paid double ($200) the normal rate for the room I stayed in but hadn't been able to get much sleep. The money wasn't really the issue but I felt like something should be done to make the situation right. Unfortunately, the manager got pretty defensive fast. She said I should've mentioned the AC problem sooner, despite the fact that I had checked in at 1:30 AM that morning desperate to go to sleep and I thought the AC unit might just be slow to start working. She also said she "didn't know what I was talking about regarding building noises" and that I was "simply trying to get a discount." It was bizarre and unprofessional.

My husband and I have been very satisfied everytime we stay at the Bush River Road Best Western. It was easy to make a reservation directly on the telephone. The front desk was very accommodating and friendly and housekeeping as well. The room was clean and sanitized. A bag breakfast was offered as well as fresh coffee. Older hotel but it was very clean, quiet, very accessible to interstate, restaurants etc. Like that the rooms contained both a refrigerator and a microwave. Wifi was a good solid signal during my stay. Front desk was always friendly and helpful.

Requested a quiet room as I was on a grueling business trip. Though the hotel was not even closely full, I was assigned a room close to the lobby, the ice machine and the elevator. The refrigerator didn't work. It froze, making the food I bought inedible. The internet went down, so I lost my work. I've stayed at many Best Westerns this year as I travel several times a month. This wasn't the experience I expected. The hotel is tired. Though the staff was friendly, they were not accommodating. Cheap. Even the fitted sheets were falling off the corners. And not a bottle of water was given with the sugary brown bag breakfast. I do not recommend this hotel and have concerns now about booking another Best Western.

This hotel was exceptionally clean and welcoming! With updated rooms and luxuriously comfortable beds, it was my home away from home for a night! I had to stay in Columbia for an important clinical exam and the front desk was sure to make sure I was prepared with brain food! They had cute individualized bags filled with snacks to ensure they abided by COVID-19 regulations without leaving their guests hungry! It was a fabulous stay and I would absolutely stay again!

I stayed for two nights while moving my son into the University of South Carolina. The hotel was exceptionally clean and followed COVID-19 best practices. The staff were very helpful and provided excellent suggestions for local restaurants. I will definitely make this my go-to hotel whenever I return to Columbia.

The hotel did a great job notifying customers of wearing mask in the lobby which was very neat and clean. The staff greeted me and was very friendly. The room was well decorated and the bed was comfortable.

I stayed here overnight for a big test I had. It's in a perfect location - close to both interstates. The front desk check in was quick & very clean - had a nice plexi-glass up. The room is very spacious & inviting. Love the colors! This hotel checked off all my boxes and will definitely be staying here again!

I had the pleasure of staying in this great hotel. I felt the front desk treatment was wonderful. They are practicing social distancing and being very mindful of the current pandemic. The decor in the hotel is very nice and seems to be recently done. Rooms are very clean (this is a very important item in my book). A/C works beautifully again another important item in my book. I would certainly come back to this location. Make this a priority on your list when visiting this area.

My new favorite hotel!! The best experience I've ever had! I was so pleased with everything from cleanliness of the rooms to the hospitality of the owners. I will definitely stay here again and refer them specifically to anyone traveling through the area. They are the best!

Had a reservation for one night last November. Found Bush River Rd., but could not locate hotel. Called the hotel and asked for directions. Followed these directions to the “T”. Did NOT find it with the directions provided. Called the hotel to advise that we were continuing on our trip because we simply could not find their location. We were charged the full rate anyway. Tried several times to cancel the unfair charges to no avail, despite the fact that we have “Diamond” status wth Best Western. We were also due a free night's stay with BestbWestern-they would not “swap” this perk for the unfair charges. Consequently, we will not stay in Best Western hotels in the future.

The staff was ever so friendly! And the breakfast was hot and delicious. The rooms were clean and the stay was overall pleasant. Would definitely stay there again if I'm ever back in the area. Top rated service!

Stayed here after needing a rest break for the night. Check in was fast and easy. Room was not as updated as I thought it would be based on previous reviews. The main door was a bit shifted so I was able to see out into the hallway towards the bottom of the door. Nicks and chips were seen in all the wooden furniture. Hole in the bathroom fixtures. Breakfast consisted of biscuits and gravy, bagels and watered down juice. Okay for a night sleep but not worth the price I paid.

Everyone I came in contact with at this location were so friendly and happy to help. It blew me away. It was just a wonderful bonus. The rooms were very modern and clean, breakfast was delicious and they had a nice variety, and the fitness center was great. Had everything you needed and was very well kept. We definitely enjoyed our stay here and we will be coming back!

Very clean, quiet and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. The hotel and room were updated with lovely decor. The room had everything needed: refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, flat screen TV, coffee pot, hair dryer and toiletries. The bed was very comfortable and NO nasty bedspreads. Great breakfast: eggs, sausage, gravy, biscuits, waffles and the usual continental breakfast foods. Free parking and a pool but not the time of year to use it. We a brief but enjoyable stay.

I was looking for a hotel that night because it was raining very hard and I still had a couple hours before I arrived at my destination. When I pulled in the front desk receptionist came to the little window and she was very nice and pleasant. I got my room and my first impression of the room was that it was very well decorated and very clean. The beds were very comfy. We stayed on the 1st floor in a room with 2 queen beds. My son, mother and I had a very nice rest. We didn't get up for breakfast because we got in so late so we slept in. I requested a late checkout and the front desk agent who was very nice gave me a 12 checkout time. I would definitely recommend my family and friends to stay here in the future. Stayed there twice in 2 weeks, for training, and was very pleased. I checked area hotels before booking and found that they did not have good reviews. This hotel was clean, well lit (inside and out) after dark, secure (I felt safe), comfy bed/quiet room, wonderful breakfast bar and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I had a microwave and frig in my room which I used during both trips. Located close to I-26 as well as restaurants and shopping.

We stay at this hotel every year for business, and the manager and staff are very friendly and professional. We always enjoy our stay at this establishment. The rooms are clean and tidy. It looks like they did some renovations, so everything is up-to-date, and breakfast is good.

I brought my outdoor club to visit Congaree National Park and we stayed at the Best Western. Everyone we encountered at the motel was friendly and attentive from the manager, the check-in clerk and the breakfast attendant. The beds were comfortable, the shower was excellent, breakfast had a good variety of items hot and cold. Rooms were very clean and the AC worked well and wasn't loud like so many are. I do suggest bringing some bottled water or asking for some because the water in Columbia does not taste good. We enjoyed gathering for happy hour in the lobby and at the pool and also found two good restaurants within walking distance. I highly recommend this property.

There are several hotels in the one mile radius of the hotel and this is the best value of all of them. Clean, comfortable, no surprises. Good location with a quick drive to Columbia - without the high prices.

The hotel was neat and clean, it appears there was some recent remodeling done. The woman at the front desk failed to do a normal greeting and got right into getting my last name to find the reservation. The light from the hallway was very bright after the lights in our room were out. It was disturbing for our sleep. I would stay again if necessary, because it was clean.

We have stayed in several hotels in the Columbia area recently due to visiting our kid at college. Being new to the area, we took a shot at some reasonably priced hotels that seemed to get decent reviews. We were disappointed by all until we decided to try the BW Executive Inn & Suites. We have finally found a hotel in the area that is clean, cares about SERVICE to their guests and is reasonably priced. The added breakfast with your stay is definitely a plus. From the time we checked in and met Sangita at the desk, we knew we have found a hotel that cares about your stay and knew it was different from the past visits to other hotels. She was very accommodating to our requests and made us feel welcomed. Going forward, we have found our place to stay in Columbia while visiting the area. Thanks again for a pleasant stay!!!!

I stayed here for a funeral. The location was great. It was no more than 10-15 mins from the funeral and all of my family's houses. The beds were soft and comfortable. The hotel staff was friendly. My only problem was I opened up the cabinet where the fridge is to put a drink in there and a roach was staring right at me. Being terrified of bugs, I had my mom kill the thing. We were both so exhausted from the funeral that we just killed it and went to sleep. I mean it was the cheapest hotel in the area and everything else was fine otherwise.

This hotel will not honor it's reservations if a big event is coming up. I had booked a room here in March for a football weekend and on the Thurs before the event they cancelled the reservation and did not even bother to contact me about it. When I arrived they had rooms but had raised the rate $80 a night. When I complained about it, I found out that they did the same thing to 2 other sets of travelers and it may have been more as those were the only 2 travelers in the breakfast room when I made my complaint.

Manager took the initial reservation, she was vwry cordial. Staff was cordial, the only problem was the HVAC system, it hummed all night. Price was right, good location, clean room, Breakfast items limited

We have found Best Western hotels to vary a great deal in quality. This one has a Great Deal of QUALITY. Stayed here two nights during Hurricane Dorian evacuation. Everything was top notch. The desk clerk was friendly, understanding, and helpful. She made a point of working with us as we were uncertain exactly how long we would stay. We needed 2 rooms and she thoughtfully placed them close together. The two ladies working the breakfast room were also super friendly and efficient. The hotel was quiet, towels were soft. Everything was clean and crisp. Would definitely stay there again if we make a trip to Columbia, or another evacuation.

The staff was very helpful and friendly and answered every question and concerns. The breakfast was good with waffles,sausage,eggs,gravy,biscuits,fruit,yogurt,breads,muffins,and very yummy cinnamon rolls. The staff was very clean with the breakfast itmes and kept it stocked. The hotel rooms were very clean and updated and I was impressed with how everything was.

The rooms are modern and clean...they have a very nice selection of breakfast foods....the check in and out process is easy...it took a while for the room to cool down but no problem...the only issue I had was the bed linens were very scratchy and uncomfortable making sleep hard .

This hotel was very clean and looks pretty new. The room was clean and of modern design. Even though several interstate highways are nearby heard no highway noise at all. One thing to be aware of is that depending on the way the wind blows there might be some odors from a nearby facility. None of the smells were inside the hotel. The smells were there when I checked in but gone by the morning.

We requested a room in the back away from everyone and the staff accomodated us. Very quiet. We went downstairs the next morning to find a good breakfast selection. That too was very good. The room was cleaned and restocked before we got back the next afternoon ready for another good nights sleep. I spilled my coffee that morning and I requested a towel to clean it up but the staff on duty wouldn't have that. She cleaned it up herself. I apologized but she insisted it was no problem. The only complaint I have is that this is supposed to be a non-smoking motel (I am a non-smoker and the smell of even the faintest makes me ill) but I could still smell a light odor of smoke in the hallways, much heavier near the back entrance. I over looked and didn't say anything because everything else was first class. We will definitely be staying at this Best Western next year when our convention returns to Columbia. Don't hesitate to stay at this motel. You will NOT be sorry!

Have stayed at this hotel several times over the years and always satisfied. Love Sangita at the front desk. Always try to meet your requests. Very comfortable rooms. Steve was also very helpful when I had questions. You would not be disappointed staying here. I only wish they had a TV guide in the room.

This is the perfect hotel for families of USC students! We first found this hotel when our daughter chose USC as her college in 2015. The hotels near campus wanted $300 and even $400 a night! We thought the $85 room at this Best Western was worth the 10-minute drive to campus. And boy were we right! Since then, we have stayed here about 2-3 times a year on our visits to see our daughter. She graduated last week and our last stay here was actually bittersweet -- it really had become our home away from home. The owners came to know us and always made us feel comfortable and accommodated. We've always found the rooms clean and comfortable. The pillows are great. The breakfast is plentiful with many choices (hey, it's free breakfast, don't expect custom-made omelettes!). Over the years, they have made lots of upgrades to the decor in the common areas and the rooms. The new lobby/breakfast area is wonderful. The rooms seem very well insulated so noise from other rooms has never been a problem. I'd say, if you enjoy burning $400 a night for a hotel room, by all means stay near campus. We just feel college is expensive enough without being ripped off by nearby hotels! Like all hotels, the price does go up on football game weekends, but you can't avoid that in a college town. I don't think we ever paid more than $120 for a room here. This hotel converted us into Best Western customers, and now it's the first brand I look for when we travel other places. Wife and I stayed for the weekend and couldn't be happier. Very clean,well maintained property. The proprietors were very welcoming and friendly and the breakfast was very good. The location was convenient with easy access (11 minutes) to downtown Columbia. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a broken stopper in our sink, and reported it to the front desk. They immediately moved us to a new (better) room. The morning desk staff was especially gracious. We required a late check-out in order to allow for participation in an online meeting, which they happily accommodated ... and the wireless handled it very well. If our travels allow, we will stay at this hotel again.

The location made it easy to get to and from downtown. The price seemed quite reasonable. The room was clean and the halls were quiet. Breakfast was ok. If I were going through Columbia again, I'd stay here.

Evidently Best Western has down graded some of its features.Bath towels were of lower quality. Laundry valet service is not available. On site washer/dryer facility are not available That said, the staff was great. Hotel was clean. Rooms were comfortable. Price is fair. We were just a little disappointed.

I just wish we could go SOMEWHERE where people didn't ask us to post a POSITIVE REVIEW. So tired of this day-and-age of reviews. Anyhow, night staff could have used some customer service training - owner and wife super nice to us. Will come back if we visit Columbia.

Fast and friendly check-in. The clerk answered questions about the event I was attending and the surrounding area. The hotel itself was conveniently located, and the rooms were very well-kept and spacious! This will definitely be my go-to if I'm ever back in the area.

They were so sweet and accommodating! Great free breakfast—and they waited on our table, taking trash for us and refilling drinks unlike most hotels. It is super clean and they're so sweet! The rooms are spacey and a big tv!!! Awesome place, especially for the price. Also very helpful and down to earth people!

This property needs a thorough cleaning in all the nooks and crannies! Another traveler told me it has gone downhill since last year. His room was smelly & mine was dirty. It looked clean, but I dropped something on the floor & saw dust everywhere when I got down behind the furniture. The breakfast was very good and the coffee was excellent. The front desk staff was good, too. I did feel safe there, on an upper floor, and while the hotel is by two highways, it is not on the highways, so there was no traffic noise. The room doors don't fit properly, so there isn't sound privacy, but the hotel was very quiet.

Clean, modern accommodations. Cheerful and helpful staff. Female owner/manager (?) puts a smile on anyone's face with her bright, sunny disposition. Good value! Could not have been more pleased. Nice selections at breakfast.

Newly remodeled, super clean, great breakfast, coffee around the clock, blazing fast internet. What else is there? The staff was super helpful when I lost my keycard while also following security best practices to ensure the safety and privacy of all their guests. A great experience overall.

Headed out to Columbia for some touring and stopped here. Very good choice. Excellent and convenient location just off the interstate. Nicely appointed rooms, functional exercise center, tasty continental breakfast and great value make this property your choice of stay in the capitol region

Overall the room was great, the employees were outstanding and we will more than likely stay there again if we come to Columbia. Centrally located to the zoo, botanical garden, museums, and some great restaurants.

Even though just a few miles off of our travel agenda, we chose this Best Western because it was directly across the street from my husbands favorite restaurant Fudruckers!! The hotel did not disappoint - room & lobby clean, staff very pleasant and courteous, towels & linens clean and fresh. Best of all the mattress was the most comfortable mattress we have slept on in a hotel in ages. Thanks for a wonderful and restful night! We would stay here again without a doubt.

I will definitely revisit the stay was very pleasant from staffing down to my room, the bed was the best. I slept like a baby. The staff were very friendly and very receptive. The area was a plus as well there were a few places to eat, Walmart and the highway for easy access.

I have stayed at Best Western in past years and I am still impressed. Everything (service/hospitality) from check -in to departure was great. Breakfast was great... Bedroom and bathroom clean.... Internet service great. Room spacious

Absolutely filthy. If I would have realized just how filthy it was, I would have left the hotel and slept in my car. Unfortunately, we arrived at about 2:30 a.m. and didn't "see" until next day. My sister sees a doctor in Greenvill, SC; so, we drove from Charleston, SC. First night we stayed at a different hotel. Usually we drive back the next day; however, due to long dr visit and torrential rains, we finally decided about 2:00 a.m. to get a hotel room. I have never had a problem while staying at a Best Western - Until Now. When we got to the hotel, both of us just went to bed. Big mistake. When I got up the next morning and went to the bathroom, the first thing I noticed was dirty, filthy toilet; this wasn't "new" dirty, this was "hasn't been cleaned in a long time" dirty. I went to get breakfast, only to find out that breakfast was only until 9:00 a.m., when I inquired about the sign that stated breakfast was until 10:00 a.m., they moved that sign from behind another sign and then you could see that the 10:00 a.m. was only Saturday and Sunday. They let me a have a few mini muffins and mini cinnamon rolls - how nutritious. I went back to the room and went to sit on the bed and noticed stains. Yuck and double yuck. I wish I would have had a black light; well, never mind; I would have only been more disgusted. Upon checking out, I showed the hotel front desk associate the pictures and she apologized, but seemed to be doing everything she could not to laugh. I do not consider filthy, unhealthy hotel rooms a laughing matter.

After finding out my plans have changed I tried to change my reservation the morning of my stay. Forget it. The hotel management is unwilling to work with its guests. So I stayed. And it caused me problems besides the unhappiness of being at this property. The fountain out front does not work and looks neglected. Why is there a fold up table in the lobby? I have no idea but it is unattractive to say the least. The lobby decor is outdated and shabby looking. On a positive side the printer in the business center worked. My room was modern but felt dark and depressing. Despite the air conditioning it had a musty smell to it. The desk chair was so low I could barely work at the desk. The bed was comfortable which I appreciated. I was happy to leave in the morning. Overall the management is unwilling to help a guest and the whole hotel has a depressing air to it. I will never stay here again and because of the cancellation policy I will steer away from Best Western.

We got our reservation at the last minute and quickly peeked in the room. My family and I booked 2 rooms that were adjoining which was really nice. After a long day and evening, we returned to the hotel with our luggage and to relax. When I turned on all the lights I noticed a spot on the carpet about 4 to 5 inches in diameter that was dark red and looked like blood. I went down to th front desk to let them know about the blood looking spot on the carpet and the front desk lady laughed at me and I told it was wine that couldn't be cleaned. (I wish I would have taken a picture of the original stain) I went back up to the room and took a wash cloth with warm water with my shoe, alot of the spot was lifted; however the following morning, more of the blood like substance came to the surface of the carpet. Also, there were white stains on the decorative bed pillows. In our second room, there were yellow stains on the bedding that went through the top blanket onto the next blanket. Housekeeping came into our rooms the next morning to get our dirty laundry wearing only socks. I told her about the spot on the carpet which she said she would clean and explained about the stain on the washcloth. Nothing more was done with the carpet. The Staff was nice but did not take my concerns seriously, neither did the corporate office when I notified them. I was waiting to do this review in hopes that corporate would contact me, but after 10 days, I figured they aren't going to. I did appreciate that the hotel was pretty quiet and the beds comfortable.

We stayed at the Best Western Executive Inn & Suites iLocated off of I-26 just west of Columbia, SC. The room we had was good sized, nicely furnished and had a very comfortable bed. There was no unusual odor and the room was very quiet. The hot breakfast was more than adequate and the staff very accommodating. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone traveling through South Carolina on I-26.

We stayed here four nights, and overall, the experience was a good value. The room and hotel felt and looked a bit older, but it was overall clean and maintained well. The remote in our room only seemed to work sporadically, but since we were mostly out and about, this was not a major issue. We did have some trouble with the Internet access. I was able to access it fine, but no one else in my family seemed to be able to do this. Be aware that the 800 help number is available to address connection issues, but might be a bit more involved than you would like and not worth the time, unless wireless is essential for your stay. Did not encounter any shady people as I had read some other reviewers of this hotel did. The price was a bit higher than I wanted to pay for the location, but as this was graduation weekend, I expected the price hike regardless of location (unless I went over 30 minutes outside of Columbia). The breakfast was a nice addition, though I think the milk needed to be kept refrigerated somehow. I know my own family stated that the milk tasted sour, and I noticed more than one person get a bowl of cereal and milk and immediately throw it away. The juice was also a bit watered down. Nothing earth-shattering though -- just a few items to note. Overall, a pleasant stay for the price and location.

no comfort and no drinking water, they do not stock any water in any of the vending machines so they can sell you a 20 cent bottle of water for 1 dollar, then you cant fill your water bottle because the drinking fountain does not work, the couch in the room was so hard and uncomfortable that you could not sit on it for any period of time, the same with the bed felt like some cheap flea market mattress

Discovered Best Western as a brand to stay at for value and quality and were not disappointed here. Room was nicely furnished and quiet, especially for a state capitol. Front desk clerk was perfect from reservations over the phone in my car to recommendation of local restaurants. Italian restaurant next door was superb. Excellent all the way around.

Check in was quick and easy. The room was clean and modern and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was great. We enjoyed eggs, sausage, cereal, fuice, coffee, muffins, and fruit. We will be staying here the next time we're in town to go to the zoo!

I was sceptical about staying here because the price was alot cheaper than other brand hotels that I normally stay at. Was only here for 1 night so i gave it a go. Front desk staff was friendly. Hotel/room was clean. Its very basic, but worth the price. Location was good and quiet.

We stayed at the BW for two night this week. Rates were double normal rates due to the Masters golf tournament an hour away, but it was worth it (we were going to the practice round on a gorgeous 83-degree Tuesday!). The rooms (2 rooms, 2 couples) were clean and quiet, beds comfy, and breakfast had both hot and cold selections. The staff was friendly, especially Singhita, who gave us great dining advice. We had already selected Cola's (downtown) based on TA reviews, and she told us to be sure to order the "almond basket" for dessert - superb! And after trekking around Augusta on a warm day, our second night we just walked across the street from the BW for dinner at Fuddruckers.

I was in town for my daughter's boot camp graduation @ Fort Jax-Columbia & stayed @ BW Exec. Inn & Suites for the duration (2 nights) & I was very much satisfied with the overall service & accommodations. Our room was clean, modern & neat. The Guest Svcs. Mgr. was very helpful & accommodating. She suggested places to eat which by the way please try Noisy Wings down the street from the hotel. The wings are awesome! The hotel location was perfect for eating out & there's a Walmart down the street as well as Auto Zone & gas stations. The highway is nearby, making traveling easy. I would recommend this hotel if you're traveling in the Columbia area.

Love this hotel. This was the nicest hotel I've stayed at in 6 weeks of traveling. Staff was amazing from check in to departure. Room was immaculately clean. Coffee was delicious as was the breakfast. Fast internet was great for work. I think I could just live here.

The location do not offer much for eating or shopping. The room was as expected for the price. The breakfast was average. The price was as expected for the location. The staff was friendly. Overall would stay again if needed to.

If you extend your stay, be sure to check online and make sure they honor that price. Management WILL raise the rate to whatever they want. I did not want to argue with the front desk clerk as she was just following instructions

Close to restaurants, Wal-mart, and interstate highways! Excellent customer service from every staff member encountered. Also, rooms were recently updated and make the rooms feel more spacious and inviting.

Even though, I place a Do not disturb sign on the door but later asked for my room to be clean while I was out. The counter person should have given the message to the attendant cleaning the rooms and had my room clean.

I have to say the worst part of our stay here was the breakfast. For this level of Best Western you'd expect more. Cold powdery eggs and no microwave to at least heat them up. This breakfast had potential but the hot food, sausage and eggs, were cold and the biscuits days old everyday of our 5 night stay. That being said, recently updated, quiet and clean room with comfortable beds and pillows offered a good nights sleep. Good shower with good water pressure in a sparkling clean shower surround. Towels were in the “sand paper” range of their shelf life. New towels would go a long way for a more comfortable stay. Friendly morning and evening staff and hot coffee with flavored creamer in the lobby went a long way in making our stay more pleasant. We are frequent guests at Best Western Hotels and we were just disappointed at the breakfast for this Executive level of Best Western. I just couldn't give a better rating than a “2” because of the breakfast.

The location of this BW Hotel at the intersection of I-26 and I-20 in central SC make for easy access from four directions. The rooms were quiet, comfortable and nicely arranged. The staff was congenial and helpful. I will definitely stay at this hotel in the future.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was very clean. The cabinet door in the console was not working right, off it's hinge. But other than that everything was great. The room was quiet and we felt very comfortable.

I'm not fond of staying in hotels but this Best Western was clean & comfortable. Nice sized refrigerator in room & microwave too. Breakfast had something for everyone. One suggestion perhaps better pillows but I always bring my own anyway.

Loved the location to the zoo, nearby restaurants. The front desk personnel were outstanding, very personable and helpful. The rooms were clean and had been updated. I would recommend this hotel for sure.

When arriving we were greeted by the manager Steven. Very friendly and so was the lady that checked us in. Our room was very CLEAN and the breakfast was excellent with many choices to eat. A+ GREAT!!!

Unfortunately I don't remember the name of the woman who checked us in because she was so kind and helpful. When I called ahead to see if there was a vacancy, I mentioned that we were running behind schedule because we had a flat tire earlier that day and hadn't had dinner yet. When we arrived a short time later she had called around to several of the local restaurants and checked on their closing times for us! She was there in the morning again when we checked out and was still just as pleasant as the night before!

Our stop at BW Executive Inn and Suites in Columbia could not have been better. The room was spotlessly clean and neat. The staff was extremely helpful in all respects. I would choose to say in this hotel again.

We were 'just passing through' so all we cared about was that it was reasonably priced & clean. The hotel & rooms seemed old but everything worked & it was very clean. They were training a new person but both people were friendly & check-in was completed with ease. Our only 'complaint' was the 'breakfast'. The service 'counter' & tables & area were very clean but .... those 'eggs' (not) seemed like they were made from powdered eggs. I don't really remember the rest of the 'offerings' as they seemed like the usual for these kind of 'breakfasts'.

Staff was great. But what is supposed to be a hot breakfast should be hot before being put out for guests to eat. And all bisquets should be fresh not rock hard. The lady who checked in at 230 m was very kind and understanding s I had left another hotel ur to roaches aNd needed a room and sleep badly

I enjoyed my stay at this Best Western. I have stayed before on different occasions. They have a very pleasant front desk and a very filling and great tasting breakfast. I would definitely recommend this hotel for traveling.

Despite a last minute reservation and late night checkin, we we in our room very quick. The shower was great and the bed was wonderful! Nice selection of breakfast food. This is our second time staying at this hotel while passing through the area on an annual trip.

This was one of those hotels in the midst of stores and restaurants. Next door, within feet, is a better Italian restaurant. Nice after having such a limited selection at other stops. Very clean, convenient and comfortable. The staff was friendly, courteous and polite which is pleasant after a long day of driving. I would definitely stay again.

I called the day before to request that housekeeping NOT use air freshener, since I find it irritates my nose and throat. When I arrived, my room was fresh and odor free! I was very pleased with their willingness to accommodate my need.

This hotel is a nice place to stay. Due to mobility issues, we asked to stay in an accessible room. The room afforded enough room to navigate around the furniture, with a wheelchair. The coffee machine was awkward. It was placed on a low bench, which makes it accessible. The problem is there is no plug anywhere near the bench. So you have to relocate the machine to a plug. Not a big deal, but awkward. The room has a beautiful headboard, only issue is the filigree is rough to lean against. So if you want to sit up in the bed, use lots of pillows. The bathroom was large and had plenty of safety rails in the tub. It did not have a bench or a drop seat, for the shower. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They greeted us with smiles every time we walked into the door.

It is a typical hotel with a sub par breakfast. I had 2 small children and there was outlets coming off the wall and i found 2 dead roaches. The staff was rude and would not assist me after the housekeeping accidentally took a item of my clothing up with the sheets. They refused to look or ask the housekeeping. Needless to say i will never stay there again. Not worth it.

The Best Western on Bush River Rd should be your number one choice if you're planning a trip to Soda City or if you're passing through and need just a one night layover. The hotel is clean, especially the bathrooms in the suites, which have been renovated with new tile floors, mirrors and sinks/counters. I spoke the the mangers personally and they explained that they're in the process of doing more renovations to their hotel. They went out of their way to make sure that I was well accommodated. Very impressed. Highly recommend.

Overall a great stay. Great location. The staff (Hazel) was a delight to deal with. My only issue was the smell of the breeze way. Rooms are what you would expect. The Italian restaurant (The Villa) next door is great to have so close. I had the double Queen bed room - each bed came with 4 pillows (2 different styles) which was nice when you forget to bring your own. The breakfast was beyond what I expected - it is what you would expect but they had biscuits/eggs/sausage which I did not expect.

Very basic. Isolated area, breakfast not good. Everything over microwaved. Decor outside and in questionable, broken entryway. Staff indifferent .Positive, very quiet room and comfortable clean bed. No bugs!!!! Expected more from past BW experiences and photos

I was given all the requests asked for such as 3rd floor room away from elevators. Very quiet for sleeping and check out was a breeze having bill emailed. The breakfast was good but weak coffee. I would stay here again.

This Hotel is a Great value. The staff are friendly and helpful. I have been using this hotel for over three years, because its clean and centrally located. Best of all, it's close to three very good restaurants. Italian-Mexican and Wings.

Courteous & helpful young woman at front desk made this visit pleasant from the outset. Room was clean, comfortable and best of all, Quiet. Location is exceptionally convenient to Interstates, restaurants, and shopping.

Stopped here on the way to Hilton Head. Hotel was very clean and the staff friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was good, and the variety was good as we'll. The new renovations make it very attractive. Located just off I-26 and close to many restaurants and shopping. The Italian restaurant next door was excellent. We found our go to stop on trips down south.

This hotel is in a great location just off I26, near I126. It was clean, comfortable and very quiet. Parking was spacious which was helpful as we were pulling a trailer. Breakfast was acceptable however adding some peanut butter and cream cheese packets would be helpful.

Hurricane evacuation from Florida ......we were happy with everything about the hotel . During a very busy and stressful time for staff they showed grate understanding and patience as we determined how many nights we might need

Very Clean and inviting . Great Staff ! We actually went to another Hotel thinking it would be a little closer to my Husbands Job and it was a few dollars more.... It was not as clean or comfortable as Best Western. :( we regretted the move.

The first room we were given wreaked of smoke even though we requested a non-smoking room. The front desk immediately gave us another room which was smoke free but this room was dirty and dusty. The carpets looked like they haven't been vacuumed in months. There was candy under the TV stand and dirt piled up between the fridge and bench. The bed post was falling off and my daughter had to reattach/screw it. The coffee maker in the room was broken. And to top it off there was ants running up and down the walls in the bathroom and on the counter/sink. Really Disgusting! The breakfast was okay. My family ate the waffles, mini muffins, fruit and yogurt. For the price this hotel charges the rooms should be clean and better maintained. Very disappointed! I can't say I'm surprised with Best Western!

I stayed at this hotel twice in the past month. My first room on the 3rd floor was excellent. I had no complaints. The following week I stayed again, on the 1st floor, same room type (king, single). The rooms are huge! This room was a bit more worn than the other. It needed a few repairs to the furnishing. I would sit on the arm chair. The sink did not drain properly. I will stay again, but I would like to choose a better room.

Breakfast was ice cold! Parking lot had horrible smell! Toilet was clogged and we was expected to unclogged ourselves! Morning Staff was unhelpful! Other quest was drunk in parking lot and bothering other guest!

We usually try to stay at Best Western, so I chose this one. We really enjoyed our stay. There is an Italian restaurant on one side of the hotel, which has been in business for 40 years and was good, and an Indian restaurant on the other, with a bowling alley behind it. The hotel isn't very big (there was no bar), but it is clean and comfortable, and the staff is very friendly, and, they have hot breakfast. Hazel and Bishalia at the front desk were wonderful. Cynthia from housekeeping and another whose name I didn't get were very friendly. All the staff we came in contact with were very friendly. So, we would definitely stay here again.

The location is great and it is very quiet and restful to stay here after a long day on the road. The room was very clean and all staff encountered were very helpful with information on the area. I will stay here again on my travels through the area in the future.

Overall hotel was excellent. My only bad experience was the breakfast. Worst breakfast ever had. Coffee was weak and nasty, sausage slightly cold and not cooked enough. Biscuits were half hard and half doey. Graveyard was greasy and over cooked.

We originally reserved room at Best Western elsewhere to view totality of eclipse, but wished to change to Columbia to meet up with our son. The manager on duty worked very hard to make room available for total of three nights. Her efforts made it possible for us to stay there and not drive back from Greenvville. The Sunday rate was very expensive, but normal for the area for the night before totality.

Rooms are clean, property is quiet, pool is well kept. Outdated decor and appliances & old mattresses - rooms just needs a face lift and renovation. However, the 43" flat screen tv in the room is a bonus.

The hotel was an excellent value for the price. Located outside of Charleston but easy to get to. Close to the Outlet Mall. The hotel was clean. The staff was freindly and helpful. They had an above average breakfast buffer

Staff was great. I had low expectations of a Best Western, but the room was comfortable, clean, and the staff was great. I was also pleased to find that a very nice Bowling Alley was in the adjacent shopping center. It provided clean and safe entertainment after a very long drive.

This is a wonderful place to stay if you are just passing through or plan on visiting the area. very pleasant staff and owners. Very helpful. It was super clean, newly remodeled with a great hot breakfast. Close to many of the sights in the area. I wish I could have stayed longer.

I think the reason the price is low relative to other properties is that there is some kind of smell outside. It DOES NOT permeate the building. So if one can get from outside to inside without getting sick, you are good to go. It does not seem like it is coming from the property, but it is a smell coming from a neighboring business. Other than that the place was great!!!!

Was in Columbia for weekend get away. Impressed with the friendly and helpful staff. Needed more pillows, and got them very quickly! Beds were comfortable and the massaging shower head was exactly what I needed! Breakfast was tasty and well presented. I will be staying here for any future adventures in Columbia, SC!

We stopped here overnight on our way to Canada. Room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was the usual with waffles, bagels, cereal, etc. They are going to remodel and update this location to make it into a BEST WESTERN PLUS, the desk lady didn't say when.

To be fair, it was very hot and humid during our stay, but after moving to another hotel, where we didn't have the same issues due to the heat and humidity, it became obvious the hotel rooms here have issues. During out stay, the room was hot and humid and always felt damp, even when we ran the AC all day. The Fan on the AC ran constantly even though it was set to auto and the AC would kick on and off which made it hard to sleep. We typically leave our towels out to dry instead of getting new ones, but at this place noting would dry and we all woke up feeling damp and wet. There was no active vent fan in the bathroom which didn't help the situation either. We didn't have these issue in the next hotel we stayed at which was even hotter and more humid. Breakfast was the same every morning. The beds were comfortable, but again damp feeling. There were no pictures on the wall in the room and the fixtures were outdated and some were in need of repair....like the toilet didn't flush well, and was not stable when you sat on it. I usually have good luck with BW, but I would chose a different hotel if I were to visit this location again.

I truly can said that this Best Western was the Best ! Not expensive and customer services was great! the hotel was very clean and the employees were wonderful. I will recommend to all my family and friends for this location for sure! Thank you Best Western Columbia

I spent one night at this property and found it to be dated but clean. The front desk staff was excellent. The room was clean with dated furnishings some of which showed their age. The bed was comfortable and the WiFi was good. I would stay here again. Tip: Stay on back side of building to avoid highway noise.

Checked in a little after 3 AM and the young lady at the front desk made me feel right at home. Nice hot shower then faded away into the comfort of the king sized bed, then woke up to great breakfast to start the last leg of my journey. Hilton/DoubleTree you done lost me.

If traveling through northern South Carolina make this your first choice for a hotel stay. You won't be disappointed. Located near the crossroads of state routes 20 & 126 this Best Western has all the modern day amenities plus old Southern Charm. The staff goes above everyday hospitality making you feel as if you are staying in their home rather than a hotel. In addition, the room decor appears to be that of a home rather than a hotel. Which makes your stay an exceptional one.

We always try to find something clean and comfortable for $100 or a little less. This came in at $99.including tax and was a nice find. Staff was very pleasant and helpful with dinner recommendations and directions. Breakfast was basic and sufficient but did not impress

The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, the hotel room was very clean, the bed was very comfortable. I checked out before the breakfast started so I have no comments on that. I did not use the exercise room but the Wi-Fi worked fine. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel has potential. However, it is outdated and the rooms have a musty/smokey smell. The furniture in the rooms is old and even falling apart. There was an unbelievable amount of candy wrappers, candy, and dust bunnies swept behind the end tables and dressers. The front desk staff was kind and helpful, particularly Darrell. If I were to rate the hotel on service and kindness, I would rate high. However, the room smell and dirty conditions decrease the rating.

I should have known what we were in for when the reservation process alone was so painful. The reservation was made online, and when I called the hotel directly to clarify a point they took forever to answer. When they did, the person sounded half asleep, and after I asked the question they simply HUNG UP. (I guess they didn't want to have to look it up in the system? Grew suddenly afraid of the phone? Won a million dollars and immediately started partying?) When I called back, there was no answer. (Shocking). I called the 1-800 number and proceeded to spend 30 minutes on the phone with a very confused person simply to change the date of my reservation from one to the following day. When I decided I'd rather cancel and try another hotel, I was informed that although I'd just made the reservation less than an hour before I would have had to have cancelled it THE PREVIOUS DAY (hours before it was made) and was locked in. I could choose not to use the reservation, but they were keeping the money. Ok....thanks. The bed in the room was lumpy, and the guests next door were apparently throwing a full on nightclub-level party into the wee hours, which the front desk blithely ignored. Would rather sleep in my car than go back here.

I am a regular at Best Western hotels. The rooms are clean and well-appointed. I am always working when I travel, so the high speed internet is essential for me. The staff are always helpful and attentive. This time they even moved a pair of noisy neighbors for me.

We were in town for a Graduation at the Coliseum and this was a perfectly priced hotel that was convenient to all the destinations we needed to visit. It also has some interesting restaurants in the area and a bowling alley literally next door. The room was clean and quiet and breakfast was plentiful and free

We spent a night here on our way to Myrtle Beach. It was a nice hotel. The room was nice and the beds were comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful with recommendations for nearby restaurants.

Easy to get to - clean rooms and good breakfast. Stopped on the way to Ohio-this was a good motel for the price. We would stay here again if we were traveling this way. We have stayed a quite a few Best Westerns and they have all been good. Thank you.

Get the king size- it's just lovely. The staff was amazing and professional and kind. Room was clean as all get out and experienced no problems whatsoever. We transferred hotels to this best western because the hometowne suites we were staying at was a total wreck. Awful staff, dirty, and cockroaches there. Not the case with this place!!!

Convenient hotel to airport, Walmart and USC campus. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Rooms seemed clean but did not have a fresh, clean smell. No odor, just seemed like carpet and upholstered furnishings needed freshening

Stayed for one night here. The room was clean, a good size with a couch and sitting area. Clean bathroom. No conditioner with the toiletries ( only shampoo, soap and body lotion). The pillows on the bed in the room were tiny, only about the size of a throw pillow for a couch! Besides that the room was fine. The free breakfast was below average. Cereal, milk, juice, a few pastries, eggs, bacon or something like that. Oatmeal and grits maybe. For the price of this hotel I would have expected more.

I was greeted with a smile, night staff in this hotel were helpful and pleasant. Facility seemed a bit run down, elevator very very slow. Bedroom seemed a bit musty with a not so fresh smell. Bathroom had earwigs (bugs) I killed two and flushed them. Lamp beside bed closest to the door and outlets did not work when light switch near door is off. This is irritating if you sleep on the right side and want to keep cell phone nearby on a charger. Bed was firm and comfortable. Put bottle of water in small fridge to keep cold. When I got up six hours later it was frozen solid and I could not drink it. Pillows are tiny and seem cheap. Breakfast is just not impressive, and too small an area to be functional when a handful of people are in a hurry to eat and be on their way.

We drove up from Florida on 95 and it was bumper to bumper traffic most of the way.. I could say our drive was horrible. Arriving at the hotel we were tired to say the least, we were greeted very nicely at the front desk and our room was better than expected. The hotel staff were very nice and helpful during our stay, we were very impressed. This was our first time staying in Columbia, which is very busy compared to where we are from, but we had a wonderful Easter weekend with our granddaughter. She stayed with us each night, the manager hugged her as we were leaving. I would say that we didn't sleep in a hotel but, as if we were visiting distant relatives... I travel somewhat frequently and this stay was exceptional. I recommend staying here it is clean, quiet and very good customer relations. I will be staying here again. My wife had no complaints...

Had water damage to our home and needed somewhere to stay for one night. Phoned ahead and was graciously helped by Hazel. We arrived exhausted and stressed out. Hazel made our registration process easy and with a very pleasant attitude. Our room was clean, had plenty of clean towels and wash cloths and was perfect for our needs. The hot breakfast the next morning was typical but good.. Would recommend this facility. Also, after having stayed in many places before, I must say that Hazel is the type of hotel employee that should be emulated. Someone at Best Western made a wise choice when they hired her. We were very appreciative of her help and sincere attitude.

Stayed at this hotel for a quick overnight trip to Columbia for a Gamecocks night baseball game. The staff was friendly and greeted us immediately upon walking in. Although there were a few minor hiccups with our reservation (my fault), the staff was very forgiving and took care of the issue immediately. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious. The price was competitive and worth the convenience of an overnight stay. Good central location with quick access to both I-26 and I-20, with plenty of food options very near the hotel.

After a long trip, and most of the hotels in SC booked up, it was a pleasant surprise to find a room here at last minute. Very nice rooms with some good upgrades. Need a few more upgrades with furniture in room, which they are planning, and this would really make this place well worth the time and money to stay.

We checked in without too much of a wait (a woman was training to check people in, which took a bit longer than usual). The room was clean and everything was in working order. The bed was comfortable with adequate pillows. We called the front desk to learn the name of the restaurant next door, and the staff was very helpful. The ice machine was a floor below. The breakfast was well-stocked, including make-your-own waffles, biscuits and gravy, yogurt, eggs and sausage, a variety of sweet rolls and breads, and fruit.

This hotel is well below the standards of the Best Westerns I've experienced. Heres a few problems and needs to be rectified. 1. New bads. The current ones are worn out and hard. The pillow top has gone flat. 2. Theres no USB ports in the room. Unless you count the one on the TV. This is unacceptable for an Executive Inn & Suites. 3. The fridge and microwave were old. Needs updated and replaced. 4. The furniture was dated and old looking. There were no pictures at all in the room. Very stark and bare. Not homey or warm at all. 5. The carpets were dirty and worn. At least clean them. The chairs in the diningroom were very wobly to the point I thought it might break.

Have stayed her several times and will continue to return when I am in the area. Good location. Good eats in area and the staff is awesome. Would be a plus if they offered smoking rooms but I will return even though they don't.

We were on a driving vacation where we were staying only one night at each location. Best Western is our motel of choice for its consistent quality and value. We did not get to use many of the amenities, but the Wi Fi worked well, the beds comfortable, and the breakfast had good choices. We were very satisfied.

We really liked this hotel. Very modern, very well-kept. The room was spacious, we had a king size bed. It was comfortable, quiet, and felt safe. The inclusive breakfast was good, but we are northerners and not fond of biscuits and gravy. We ate elsewhere. We come through here every year and we plan to stay here again.

We spent one night there on our way to Florida and it was very conveniently located and had a nice surrounding area. Very good hotel for the price. Definitely would stay again in the future and would recommend it.

Due to hurricane Matthew we evacuated our beach condo in Garden City, SC. Being a regular Best Western customer I chose this property. The entire South Eastern coast was under mandatory evacuation. The management at this hotel went far out of their way to make a full hotel of people comfortable. From the front desk, the room attendants, the breakfast room people, even the front desk, made everyone feel special. Imagine, not knowing what you are going home to or when. We were made to feel that the people who managed this hotel cared.

Stopped for the night. Easy access off the highway and super fast check in. Very friendly desk clerks. No frills lodging with free continental breakfast which was the usual fare. It was okay for an overnight stay. No issues.

I have stayed here couple times and will be back when in area. They were sold out due to the coastal evacuations with the hurricane "Matthew" coming in but still kept everybody happy. I will be back here for sure when I am in the area.

The Motel was less than a mile form the exam site. For the intended purpose of my trip, the room was quiet and comfortable, and the service was exemplary. The only disappointment was the hair dryer. I'd suggest you bring your own.

This property was clean and our room was ready when promised. Overall this facility would fall into the basic lodging category (no lounge or food service outside of free breakfast). Public areas and hallways were clean as was our room. This was a college football weekend, but sound & excessive noise were never an issue. The staff was very friendly. While there are not many amenities within walking distance, it is conveniently positioned just off of the I 20 & I 126 intersections. Downtown Columbia & the USC campus is less than 15 minutes away. The above mentioned breakfast was fairly basic, but for this hotel class and price point, this property offers EXCEPTIONAL value. I participate in many other upscale hotel rewards programs, but would not hesitate to stay at this facility again due to its overall value.

The professional service and the locale of your hotel fit exactly what I needed. I was very pleased and accommodated for the cost of my stay. I will consider Best Western Hotels & Resorts first in future travels.

Who would think a reasonably priced hotel would offer free breakfast service and have comfy beds AND have great service to boot? What a gem this hotel is -- easy to get to, very good security, friendly staff (the woman who checked me in remembered me from a visit a month ago!), and a clean, comfy room. Need to stay in Columbia? You can't go wrong here. Really good value.

Very satisfied customer. Will recommend to people I know who are visiting Columbia, South Carolina. Grounds are well manicured, parking is very good, rooms quiet, hall way clean and presentable. Location is close to retailers, restaurants and major roadways leading to Atlanta, Agusta, Charleston and other cities near and far.

I stayed in this hotel the middle of August. The room was prepaid. I showed them the prepaid receipt and they wanted a credit card on file so I gave them a different card. They charged both cards and when I called they denied that they did it even though I tried to fax them copies of the card statements. I just filed a dispute and let them fight it out. The girl who took took the cal obviously could care less.

Was disappointed in the quality of the room and the breakfast area. One of the staff members was really creepy. Check for mold/mildew and working irons. I was able to get a room switched the next day, but it would have been nice if the night attendant could have moved me.

We got in at 11:45pm. We had been driving for 7 hours and very tired. The gal at the front desk was not friendly. I was not sure where to put the luggage cart. She made a point to let me know that it did not go by the front door like most hotels. The breakfast was less than average. We did not eat the breakfast. Room was ok

I will be back if I'm in the area, friendly staff clean rooms good variety of breakfast and they their always looking if you need anything or if need to refill milk, when you come back to you room like we did after a long day with kids, the lady at front desk skyway always smile. I like this place.

We stayed here in the middle of July for just one night. The hotel is older and in need of some repairs. We had two rooms and both the doors were hung slightly crooked and we could see outside the room into the interior hallway. The fountain in front of the hotel had a knife in the water at bottom of fountain. It was a little unnerving. As a positive, the staff we encountered in the evening check in and at breakfast in the morning were great.

First time at this location. Was a pleasant stay. Price was good also. Will be back for sure when in this area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Several good places to eat in this area also. Wish they had smoking rooms though.

Was in the area visiting colleges with my family and stayed just 1 night . Room was very clean, hot component of breakfast consisted of waffles and eggs. The staff was extremely courteous and promptly filled breakfast items

Hotel staff all very friendly and helpful, clean room, some room updates, furniture a little dated but over all clean and comfortable, very comfortable mattress, typical breakfast options, food fresh and clean. Very good value for the price and comparable hotels.

It's not in the ~best part of town however, the staff was great, helpful and always accommodating. Check in was real fast. We needed a room on the first floor and we were given one. The room was clean and my wife commented on the nice smell. The bathroom was clean. My wife was happy to find out that an Indian restaurant was next door. Our son loved the pool. It was well kept and ready for our young'in to splash. The breakfast was good and complete with everything you might want to eat. We would probably stay here again.

Clean and plesant stay. Staff was professional and efficient. I liked the express checkout. Room was clean and well appointed. A goodnights sleep and on my way. Good location off highway. I like the newer furnishings and the use of two sheet cover which can be wash vice the older quilted coverings.

Everything turned out alright here for my stay. Had a toilet not flush issue that they came and fixed. Room was very good. Breakfast area is a little cramped. Selection was fair. I would stay here again if price was right. Easy location to USC area

We were there one night, very happy with how friendly the staff was and how clean the property and room were kept. Sleep like a baby and in the morning had a good breakfast to get us started they had a great selection waffles, fresh fruit, biscuits and gravy and much more.

I was actually told by the front desk clerk (A self proposed Language Specialist, she took it in college), and then by the manager, and reinforced by the customer service at Best Western Customer Service, that the Title of the room was an error in interpretation om my part. The title for the room was "DOUBLE KING SIZE BED-PULL OUT SOFA BED-SUITE." This to me meant that there were two king sized beds and a pull out sofa bed. I was told that they didn't even have any room configurations like that in the hotel. The room had one King Bed and a pull out sofa. The sofa was a small double at best. The room was clean, but we had to ask for more towels and pillows. There were none provided for the sofa bed. The was a miserable start to our first night of our vacation. With children and an aging mother-in-law, we did not have a comfortable stay. I was told by the staff that I could get and additional room, but would have to pay for it. Having been in the hotel business for many years, I did not get any sense of the staff wanting to be accommadating me as a guest. It appeared to me that there were empty rooms in the hotel that evening: an additional room could have offered either complimentary for the misunderstanding or even at the cost rate to use the room.

On the way home from St Augustine Florida, Columbia ended up being the exact right place to stop in order to avoid arriving home too tired. Had not tried this Best Western before but recommend it 100%. Everything in good order, the AC rescued us from a long day on the road and the HBO had a movie we had wanted to see but missed. Added bonus was the outstanding Indian food next door!

Easy check in and out, clean, quiet, good breakfast bar. Great pool. Free newspaper, vending area clean, good selection, ice machine working good. Will book this stay again this year. Nice restaurants close by.

Hotel very nice with with wonderful desk attendants. Very convenient to I 26. Easy walk to restaurants. If you like Indian food, the restaurant next door will be a treat. The hotel was a great price quality ratio. Very pleasantly surprised by appearance and quality of room given price range. Would expect to pay 50% more for the quality and location.

Was very please with my stay, very clean, beds comfortable, quiet but thought a little pricey for a Best Western as it is my usual choice of hotels when traveling...although would use again if in the area...

This Best Western was very neat & clean. Easy to find & get around from. Plenty of things to do around the area. Not extremely far from downtown, but a little drive. Room was nice, clean & staff was very helpful & pleasant. Would stay again.

We were late in booking a room for our grandchild's graduation so stayed at the Best Western. It was a good choice for meeting my criteria for a budget hotel: clean, quiet and safe. But it wasn't great. It appeared that the building had been recently remodeled which was good but the furnishings seemed to have been bought from some discount wholesaler. They were cheap and misfit for their use. It was like the owner had to fill the spaces with some kind of furniture and didn't want to bother with how it would look. The breakfast was limited, biscuits with gravy and very greasy sausage patties and the usual breads/muffins/cereals and a few pieces of fruit. There were only 4 tables to sit at. I didn't check to see what they had on the second day, we just went elsewhere for breakfast. So, would I recommend it? Just like I say in the title, In a pinch I can stay here but I would check out my other options first.

Jasmine at the front desk was delightful and helpful for this travel weary person. She was able to suggest a large number of great places to eat and was always nice and smiling. I was surprised she worked in the evening and was back in the morning for the breakfast group. I had an allergic reaction in the room, but everything appeared and smelled clean, so I don't know that it was the hotel's fault.

Awesome service beyond a 4star welcome. Very convenient to highway and other attractions. Room was very clean. Very nice stop when traveling plenty of parking. Front lobby also clean. How could you ever complain about free breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.

Highly recommended. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would recommend it to anyone. Very clean with a good breakfast nothing too fancy but an excellent value for your dollar. Only about 10 minutes from downtown/statehouse area with lots to see and do in the area.

We almost died. I'm not sure if this is a exaggerated statement or not but we laid back in our bed (hard, from a long day) and one inch from our heads was (see image). Other than that it was typical and typical is good. I took away two stars for the death screw. Otherwise 3.5/4 stars.

We had a pleasant stay. the staff was friendly and overall the hotel was clean. the first room we checked into smelled like someone had been smoking in it and the air was stale. We asked for another room and was given one right away. Some of the furniture is getting a little worn. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was good.

This is a good hotel to stay in if you want to save some money and have an easy commute to the Masters. The hotel is right off the I-20 and it's a straight shot to Augusta, National and at 6something in the morning, no traffic (I stayed on a Tuesday Night). I booked the hotel months in advance and paid a normal rate (About $85 w/tax for a King and about $90 for the double I booked for a friend). The closer to the tournament, the higher the price (I saw it go up to maybe $170ish). Sangita at the front desk was very friendly and helpful but extremely overwhelmed because the hotel was at full capacity. My biggest complaint was the air felt very stale, as if it had smokers at some point. There wasn't too much I could do to alleviate the smell. However, for one night as a place to only sleep before the tournament, it is a good value.

The manager of this hotel was very pleasant and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable, and the rate was good. Breakfast was fair - not as good as other hotels where we have stayed. We would stay here again when in Columbia, SC. It was convenient to major roads.

Not a great location, but safe and a great value for the area. Within a short drive of lots of shopping and restaurants. Large room with a micro fridge. Just as nice as a typical Hampton Inn but at a much lower cost.

My family spent one night at this location while visiting Riverbanks Zoo. We found the property to be clean and comfortable. The hotel is a little older but is well kept, and It is located less than 3 miles from the zoo. There are several dining places and shopping close by. We didn't use the pool due to it being to cool yet, but it looked clean and inviting.

Stayed at this hotel in early April this year. The hotel was very nice, easy to find and the staff was very hospitable. I checked in the Wednesday before the Masters Golf Tournament started, so we paid a somewhat premium rate, but I would not hesitate to stay there again, and I recommend this hotel to anyone.

She assisted us and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. The rooms were nice and had everything we needed. I really enjoyed the breakfast. They had many options and it was freshly made and kept hot. I will definitely be visiting this hotel again.

The staff were all friendly and helpful. Stayed here a few nights while we attended the Masters in Augusta, GA. The hotel is only an hour from Augusta. The price was right and the hotel was clean. The breakfast was decent. Our room was extremely small from other Best Westerns we've stayed in, but had everything we needed.

Jasmine, the desk clerk was an excellent employee. Late afternoon arrival & when I told her the hot water for tea was lukewarm, she immediately got piping hot water. Additionally, she brewed decaf coffee for my husband. This hotel seemed like an old property that has tried to be spruced up. The breakfast was mediocre and not enough tables and room for all the guests the morning we were there. The room was big enough, not dirty, had a good TV, good bed, WIFI worked fine, but the furniture seemed old and the room just felt dark and dated. Although the lighting was good, it wasn't a room in which we would want to spend a lot of time relaxing. If you are just stopping overnight to get a decent night's sleep ad leaving in the morning, it was fine and no complaints about our stay.

Stayed one night during masters weekend and left for course early Sunday morning. The TV in the room was nice sized and was able to catch the 3rd round Saturday before leaving out early Sunday. Average breakfast, but the staff was extremely nice. Great price for the weekend and about 1 hour from Augusta National, which is well worth the drive rather than spending 300+ a night staying somewhere closer.

Recently stayed here on a trip to Augusta, GA for the Masters. The hotel is only 50 minutes from Augusta and the price is right. The only problem is it is a bit outdated and in need for an upgrade. Upon entering the room it was awfully hot and stuffy and had that musty smell. Tried to open a window but they don't open. Had to rely on the A/C unit which we did. The breakfast was fair. No eggs, just grits, biscuits and sausage patties for hot food along with the usual bagels and cold cereal. Everyone at the hotel was extremely pleasant as well. With a little paint and some new furniture for the rooms this place would be great.

Staff were pleasant. Room was OK. Carpet smelled old. Exercise facility was very poor. One bike, one treadmill with a "hitch" in the belt, and one elliptical that creaked constantly. No weights at all. Stairwell door dampener didn't work and constantly slammed when used.

Customer Service employee Sangita Patel assisted us with sending and receiving important documents regarding the sale of our home. Our agent did not have access to fax service late in the evening and Sangita used her own cell phone to handle all of the material. She had a most caring and helpful attitude. Five stars for her!

The hotel itself is older, but was clean and had comfortable beds. We had a nice sized refrigerator as well as a microwave. The TV was large and flat screened. The temperature was a little tricky to adjust, as the units were older, but we finally got it right. I can't say enough good about the manager........she was incredibly organized, orienting a new employee, replacing coffee carafes, giving us directions as well as helping us decide on a dinner destination. Then the next morning, she was at the elevator when I was pushing the luggage cart down the hall, and she insisted on helping me get it on and off of the elevator. All of this with a big smile on her face! She is worth her weight in gold!!!! The only thing that bothered us a bit was the price.........it was higher than usual because it was Master's week.

My wife and I were on our way to Charleston, but our hotel reservations didn't begin until the next day. There was a pile-up on I-95 the day before, and every hotel we called or stopped at had no vacancy. We turned around and drove all the way back to Columbia; this was one of the craziest experiences we've had traveling. This was the only hotel we could find with vacancy, and we actually got the last available non-smoking room. It was $122 for the night, which is more than we are accustomed to paying for a hotel of this caliber. It was clean, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was sufficient. It served its purpose for us, but it would have been nice if it were a bit cheaper. It also had an interesting stench that lingered in the hall and in our room.

I found the tub/shower to be very slippery and after spending 3 days on a bus traveling from Southern Idaho to South Carolina, for my son's graduation, a hot shower was top of my list of things to enjoy. Instead of enjoying a hot shower I found myself concerned for my safety as I was worried that I would slip and injure myself and that nobody would know until the morning cleaning lady came. I do not expect to be worried that I am going to fall down and get hurt so many miles from home when I stay at a motel let alone a Best Western this stay was my worst hotel stay in my adult life. I expected much more of a Best Western especially an Executive Inn & Suites. Internet was too slow to Skype, My son wanted to Skype with his sisters after his graduation from Basic Combat Training but the internet was too slow to provide a good connection.

My wife and I have stayed at this hotel on a couple of different occasions. Both times were very pleasant experiences. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean. The breakfast area is small, everything was fresh.

Stayed at this hotel for my wife's cousins wedding. Had a great time, staff was extremely helpful, hotel was clean, food was great in the morning, and the Wi-Fi was fast no complaints here. Great bowling alley next door, also great distance from the airport. Near a lot of great attractions.

Good location off the interstate and close to downtown and the zoo. Friendly staff, and clean room. Breakfast area which is adjacent to the lobby is tight for the size of the hotel. There are few restaurants adjacent to the property.

If it weren't for Jasmine who works at front counter, I might have left and found a different hotel. Jasmine was faced with an issue and made a decision to fix it and she did. Great work Jasmine. I made being away from home a little better.

The hotel is nice, breakfast is just OK and usually needing restocked, coffee generally out unless Jasmine is working in which case no worries the breakfast and coffee will be available. Maid service is truly superior here, probably the best I've ever seen, also they prop doors when cleaning rooms so you don't hear doors slamming constantly every 5 minutes all morning like at many other hotels. Beds were comfortable and noise level was fairly low. The neighborhood was definitely concerning... A trailer with UTV on it was stolen from parking lot the first night we were there. You might plan to drive a ways down the road before choosing where to stop for gas etc. No convenient places to eat, but there is a Walmart close by.

I had to change my check-in date due to my meeting time being changed. It was done with ease- will definitely be back! The people were nice and everything was clean. I told my wife we would definitely be back to a Best Western if we ever needed to come back!

Spending time with Grand Children is a wonderful benefit for Grand Parents. This trip was just that! This Hotel a offered great balance in price, convenient location, and features. The staff did a great job.

Great service by staff/ asked if there was anything they could help with. Facility was clean and extra towels were placed in room upon request. Very quiet and centrally located to restaurants and business.

Pulled into the parking lot exhausted, the girl at the front desk could not have been nicer. She put me right at ease, told me how to get to a restaurant for a quick bite, and was just completely sweet. The room was extremely clean, the entire hotel was extremely clean and I had the best night sleep I've had in a very long time , the bed was wonderfully comfortable! It was very quiet there and I felt like my vehicle was very safe in the parking lot. I cannot tell you how important it was to me! The next morning the girl at the desk, a different girl, was also extremely sweet and even offered to help me carry my luggage out to the car! If I am through this way again I will definitely stay here!

A pleasant experience. Large room with proper desk and chair. Plenty of outlets. WiFi worked great as did TV. Very nice and comfy. Shower had grab rail. Standard Southern breakfast with biscuits and gravy; not for me, however - no warm eggs or bacon. Area is iffy but right between two interstates and a bowling alley right next door!

No problems.......Great staff, building, lobby, and amenities. Room was nice and clean. Hotel was close to major roads, as well as gas, food, and stores. I highly recommend and would stay here again if in the area.

On our way home from Florida, we stayed at this location. The friendly staff, very clean room, affordable prices, convenient on and off to the interstate made for a very quiet and relaxing night before heading north. There were great restaurant choices nearby for dinner which made the stop a good one for us. Would recommend this one to anyone and we will definitely stay here again.

this was our second stay in the past six weeks. and like our first stay it was an excellent experience. everything that we needed was supplied and all the questions that we asked was answered promptly good job

There were no pictures on the walls. The room had a musty odor and the carpet seemed damp. The breakfast was very minimal and there was very little seating. Some renovations seemed to have been done, but could have been better.

I always stay at a Best Western if there is one near where I need to be. The beds are among the most comfortable I have found. The front desk lady, Tynasia, was very courteous and helpful, finding all appropriate discounts. The continental breakfast was satisfactory and check out was simple. Highly recommend.....

This BW is just on the edge of Columbia, SC. It is not plush or anything similar, but it is spotlessly clean and the bed was wonderfully comfortable. The breakfast was respectable enough for the very modest room price (under $100 with parking), and it included fresh fruit, cereal - whole and skim milk. I would definitely stay there again b/c I don't like spending huge sums on hotels when I can spend the money on other things. Very nice, friendly and helpful staff. Also - close to many different highways.

Experienced next to no water flow from the bathroom faucet. Later discovered the lack of water pressure was due to the base of the faucet had a major leak and the majority of the water was leaking down the back edge of the vanity and into the floor.

my experience at the Best Western was a good one. They had all the amenities i needed for my business travel and the room was immaculate . I would definitely recommend them to anyone traveling in the Columbia area.

Bottom line......I'd stay there again. Hotel entrance and room was clean, staff was nice, price was ok. If I were in the Columbia area looking for a room..... I'd go back. I can recommend it, based on my one night stay without hesitation.

The hotel personnel were friendly and very helpful during my stay. The beds were comfortable and I appreciated having breakfast waiting for me and I appreciated having WiFi and a printer available.Best Western is one of my "go to" hotels. I was especially impressed with Sangita Patel's knowledge and graciousness.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was located very conveniently to the Riverbanks Zoo and is not too far from downtown. The room was clean and the bed, comfortable. My next trip to Columbia, I will most likely stay at this hotel again.

Stayed three nights during the recent flooding in Columbia, SC. I have stayed here previously and had great experiences each time. The rooms are exceptional - extremely clean and very modern with plenty of outlets for laptop, cell phones, etc. Also has WI-FI,desk, recliner, microwave, refrigerator and plenty of lighting. Staff is great, also. I have no complaints and I'm very particular about my accommodations. An added bonus was the price was substantially less than comparable hotels. My highest rating!

It was a nice experience. To feel at home, away from home! We were in Columbia for my cousin's son's graduation at Fort Jackson. My cousin and his wife are both blind and no trouble getting around. Each morning we enjoyed a nice breakfast and it was a nice way to start the day, not having to look for a place.

We stayed here after the Darlington Race in September 2015. It was the perfect distance from the track to get us halfway home. Clean, quiet, late check in just what we needed after a spectacular race.

We stayed one night at the property after the Southern 500 in Darlington. Compared to the rates for hotels closer to the track, we found our rate very inexpensive for only an hour drive from the track. The front desk staff was pleasant as we arrived at 2:30am after a long day of driving from Georgia in the morning and attending the race in the evening. Our room was nice, the refrigerator and microwave were a little dated, but the bed was comfortable and all the TV channels were in HD. You don't find many hotels, even pricier ones, with full HD programming. The hotel also offers free wi-fi in the rooms which was surprisingly strong and fast. We had one minor issue we thought need addressing with the room and the front desk staff member working when we checked out thanked us for notifying her of the issue. Overall, we plan to stay here again for next year's race.

We like the consistency of Best Western properties and this was no exception. Very reasonable rates and great location along our route to the beach. Our room was nice and typical of Best Westerns. Clean, quiet and conveniently located, just what I was looking for. The staff was very accommodating. Breakfast was good.

The hotel is neat and clean, but the beds were too firm for me. The room we were in did have an unpleasant odor like stale, musky type odor, but the room looked clean. Since we were extremely tired from travelling and needed only one night stay, we endured the odor in the room. I rate this hotel an 8 out of 10.
