« Depends on how badly you want a Great Breakfast »

Rose, the breakfast attendant, was the highpoint of this stay. Caring, professional, friendly and conscientious. What more could you want? Well, how about the rest of the property functioning as well? One of the reasons I chose this motel was because of what were supposed to be beautifully landscaped grounds. Still looking for them. Everything looked tired and neglected. Nonfunctional hot tub. Messed up reservation (it was fixed at arrival other than the right bed size).

« Great stay at Quail Hollow Inn »

This place is pet friendly and has great grounds to walk you dog to do it's business. The staff was friendly and the breakfast always good, fresh and hot. We've stayed here twice and probably will again since we have family that live in town. We were very pleased! Highly recommended.

« OUR STAY AT BEST WESTERN BENSON AZ »

This is a very nice hotel with extremely friendly people working these friendly people working there. They have never steered us wrong. Always been excellent at the places they suggested. Extremely clean and rooms were clean and very nicely decorated. It is right by the 4 lane hiway but didn't notice road noise. Nice pool and hot tub Brekfast was hot items and coldAT IS FREE also a variety of cold cereals, freuit etc,

« Very clean and beautiful grounds »

This place is one of the cleanest motels we have stayed. Quiet and comfortable. If you are looking for a place, stay here. It is at the edge of town but close for food establishments. Staff friendly and unique rooms. All were ground level in separate building.

« Great Staff but the spa is just a hot tub of water »

We have stayed at this hotel several times over the years. I have learned to ask for a room in the middle of the single story section of the hotel. For some reason I was told that no rooms were available in that section so we booked a room facing the pool on the second story. The staff of this hotel is what makes the hotel. Over the years, I have started to see some maintenance issues. The spa has become a "hot tub" that is producing green algae. While the staff knows about this, they say that a "part" has been on order. It has evidently been on order so long that the timer/controller bubbler part of the spa has been taken out. So yes it has become a hot tub. The swimming pool is listed in the current AAA tour book as heated... is in fact NOT. The rooms need some TLC. The lamp is our room that has a USB plug in does not work. There is also some plastic thing that sticks out from the side of the bed that can hold a bottle of water. If you happened to walk into it, it will leave a bruise on your shins. The electrical outlet in the sink area is beside a heavy big framed mirror that did not allow me to plug in my hair stuff because it didn't fit. The hot breakfast was great. Probably one of the best we have had. Real eggs, sausage gravy and biscuits. I like the Best Western Hotel chain. I always stay at them when I have a choice. I am sadden to see this hotel steadily decline over the years.

« Biker friendly for nearby attractions ! »

This is a handy place to stay in October where it is easy to get to the Biker Rodeo in town or ride down to Helldorado Days in Tombstone !! The "thing" that makes this place BETTER than average is the STAFF !! They are COURTEOUS, HELPFUL, FRIENDLY, and genuinely care ! My group of 20 some people have been going for about 20 yrs !

« A great old style motel with new style clean! »

We could have gone a few more miles to a newer motel but we like older style 60's and 70' style motels. This inn was very clean and the staff was very nice. We asked for a quiet room and got one in the back away from the pool. It really was quiet and had a nice western decor. Again, very clean! The breakfast was in a room off from the front desk, just like a regular guest room. Slightly odd, but the food and the welcoming staff took away any doubts. Really well done breakfast choices. I bring my own tea and the staff asked for the name of it and said they were going to try to get it. Made me feel at home.

    « I like it »

This Best Western was convienient to Amtrak, less than a mile from their stop. I was impressed with the teenage desk clerk who went way beyond requirements to make sure I had a room I liked. I was very happy to see time floors instead of the nasty carpet I had recently seen in a couple of hotels. The room was clean and pleasant. The only negative for me was that, while they had vending machines for Cokes, no snack machines of any kind and nothing near by. Not their fault nothing was nearby but I was, for the night, without a car and hungry. Overall, very good and good price.

« Best Western Benson AZ »

Hotel overall great, Beds are lacking but better than most in this price range. Everything else was exceptional. Breakfast exceptional. Quiet, grounds spacious and clean. Very nice pool area. Staff was helpful to get a location in the facility that I preferred. Using hotel again as visit my parents in Benson.

    « Mixed fealings »

In general this is a good hotel. Nice room. We were there a week and had mixed fealing about the place. Some days the room was cleaned well, other times, just the minimum was done. There were two ladies that took turns looking after breakfast. One was excelent, the other left a lot to be desired. Staff at reception were always friendly and helpful.

« Comfortable Enough Room, not up to BW standards »

We try and choose Best Western whenever possible. The franchise has seemed to make great efforts to improve their chain. Hotels are cleaner, newer, and well run for the most part. This one was just average. OK room and bed was comfortable. Their main issue is the train runs all night, about every 3 hours and the freeway is on the other side, so, if you are not a sound sleeper, bring ear plugs. The upside, this is the first hotel we have been in that has replaced carpet with laminate flooring and tile in the bathroom. It was supposed to be a NON smoking room and it was obviously not. For those of us traveling the highway and byways, we sometimes can't get everything we ask for. Hotel staff was very courteous at check in and a note we left for room service for at least an air freshener for the cigarette smell was done.

    3
    « Average place. »

Average place but I thought that it was a bit too pricey considering I've never been to a one horse town before. Lots of hair in the bathroom when I arrived. GROSS. Both gas stations across from the hotel have been closed for some time as was the Burger King next door. Nothing special here, just a quick one night stop is all I would do.

    5
    « Nice, Quiet Hotel. »

We stayed here to go to Tombstone. Very nice place. Quiet and very friendly staff. Highly recommend. They have a good breakfast and there is a Denny's close by for dinner. Only about a 25 minute drive to Tombstone.

    3
    « Sad motel... »

The area is pretty empty, no close restaurants... The room was small, the AC is old and loud... I had to clean the dust filter on it to make it work half decent... On the up side the staff were friendly, well except the older lady that runs the breakfast... She looked like she's been sucking lemons for the past 400 years... Seriously, time to retire her and get someone less dead... Overall I wouldn't stay here again... I'd rather drive the extra hour or so and stay in Tucson.

    4
    « Like a ghosttown »

Very destressed area. Whole town is barely holding on. Very few restaurant all gas stations near hotel are closed. Even the BurgerKing next door is boarded up. There is a good Dennys on the other side of I-10. Had to go to the next exit west on I-10 to get gas.

« The only place for me. »

We go every 3 moths for medical purpose. We have tried other places but by far Best Western Quail Hollow Inn. We won't stay anywhere else. The type of trip is not listed below as it is Medical so I will choose business until I have the medical choice.

« Last stop to Az »

I was on my way to airport, just stayed for a night as I have early morning flight, staff was very professional and fast, nice and clean room, microwave and refrigerator, best part was I had swimming pool view, breakfast was very good and clean, hot and cold continental, love their biscuit and gravy.

    3
    « very nice staff »

Brandee at the front desk was very friendly and nice. She answered all our questions and recommended restaurants around the area. The rooms though have bugs which was noted in their lobby due to monsoon in the area.

    5
    « Great Stay »

I was pleasantly surprised to find the room didn't have wall to wall carpeting, instead had tile. The room was decorated modern, clean, a good size room, and quiet accommodations. The hot breakfast was great and the staff were nice.

    3
    « not really impressed »

Room has no carpet(nice), flat screen TV(nice), and microwave/refer. The toilet had a sanitized wrap around toilet seat. wow. Until I lifted the seat, to see yellow pee still wet. Almost put my hand in it upon opening toilet. Gross. I wiped it off with piece of toilet paper and it came clean. Breakfast wasn't very good either, though it was help yourself. Room was hot upon arrival.

    « Quail Hollow Inn »

This is a good stopping place. The breakfast is good. The staff is friendly. You can visit Fort Bowie, Chirhuian National Monument, and Tombstone. From our room we had a beautiful sunrise. Even though the hotel is by the I-10, I was not able to hear the traffic noise. The internet is very slow, but was able to use it.

    3
« A good place to stay on way to Tombstone, AZ »

Good safe, clean motel that was easy access from Hwy 40 in southern Arizona. The only issue was about a dozen small beetle bugs in the room, but after we removed them, all was fine. Otherwise a comfortable night stay.

    4
    « Trip Thru AZ »

We were looking for a nice room for the night. This hotel provided that. The town did not offer many eating locations, however we found that closed at 9:00PM. This hotel manly caters to the construction/oil trade, or so I was told by the front desk clerk.

    4
    « Highly recommend »

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They were patient despite that we were very tired and not thinking straight. The room was very satisfactory and quiet. Breakfast had a wide variety for everyone.

    2
« Would not honor website reservation prices »

The hotel did not have the room reserved through the Best Western website and would not honor the prices on the substitute room. The room was hot on arrival, with the air conditioner off in spite of outside temperatures during the day of around 110 degrees.

    4
« OK place to stop for a night »

The Best Western Quail Hollow Inn was okay for a night on our way to Tubac, AZ. It is right off I-10 which is great. However, I would recommend asking for a room on the non-highway side of the Inn to avoid the traffic noise, audible even with the AC running. Upon entering our room after driving from some time, I headed straight for the bathroom. A cockroach (on its back, legs flailing) was also in the bathroom. This is not a problem and this can happen anywhere but it doesn't say "Welcome." The free breakfast was satisfactory with an assortment of items. The several staff members we met were very welcoming. Quail is a great name for the place, there were quail in the parking lot in the morning.

« Great place to stop for a night »

Our stay was brief as we were on the road to Tucson's east side. What we loved: - Convenient to freeway but without ridiculous freeway noise. - Comfortable bed! - Shower with good pressure, even temperature and a shower head tall enough that a 6'5" person doesn't have to stoop. - Clean, nice smelling room. - Natural pest control in the form of swallows with babies to feed. The ground are well kept, and this would be a perfect place to stay to enjoy the area attractions, like Kartchner Caverns, Tombstone, and the fabulous wineries in Willcox and Sonoita/Elgin. We have stayed in Best Westerns across the country, and this was definitely one of the nicest. We'll be back!

« Great clean place for kids and dogs »

I travel with 3 kids and a large dog, so traveling with me can be interesting ??. This is a very clean, safe motel with friendly staff. There is a pool in the outdoor courtyard with an inner circle of rooms and then there is an outer circle of rooms, these rooms one can pull their car up in true motel style (I find that very convenient). We stayed in the inner circle of rooms since my girls wanted to swim. That was great for me ... I could watch them, keep our dog leashed with me (ok, we spoil our sweet dog) outside the pool fence, and I read a book. I saw another reviewer mention a sign about monsoon season which means a lot of bugs. I was outside at twilight with lights on ... There were bugs, but nothing atypical this time of year in the south. The rooms have wood laminate floors -- I love that! It just feels cleaner!! Beds were comfortable, showers hot with great pressure. Breakfast was what my girls liked: eggs/waffles/cereal. My complaints are few: ?I always want more towels to be in the room (but then again I travel with 3 girls). It wasn't a problem to request more. ?I picked an unfortunate place to park; under a popular bird hangout. When I moved my car I noticed that the parking spot was covered in bird poop -- I wish I had noticed that last night-- my poor black minivan.

    « A Great Place To Stay »

I will start by saying I really appreciate the staff. Everyone made us feel welcomed there. The rooms were nice, beds were comfortable. The breakfast was good. Lots of variety for a continental breakfast. The fitness center had everything we needed. We did not take advantage of the pool, we will next time. Definitely will be staying there again.

    3
    « Nice Place »

The Inn was clean and appeared to be taken care of. One thing that raised my awareness was a statement on the door about the monsoon season being active and to please be aware of an increased risk of bugs.

    « Clean , hospitable, good »

We were on a cross country road trip and checked in last minute, was given a downstairs room , looks like they have been upgrading the place, was clean and reasonably quiet. We asked not to be put on the side of the freeway (it is really close) and we did not hear either the traffic or the trains. Good hot breakfast, in a large breakfast room , would recommend this to anyone needing a place to stay.

    4
« good place to stay »

The beds and room where clean the bathroom was dirty but not bad enough to complain . It was an older hotel but it looks like they have been doing updates .My room had new flooring and nice tv ect good wifi. Customer service was great she let us check into our room an hour early. She also gave us all the info we needed to go to tombstone .There pool was down due to working on it but we where to tired from being out all day to use it anyways . The breakfast was great . The best we have seen at a best western .The lady that served the food was so sweet and friendly ,She never stopped working making sure that the food was available . She really did a good job.

    3
« About what you would expect »

When one stays at this brand of hotel you are not expecting anything extravagant. But, you are expecting a certain type of cleanliness. Entered room... cockroach on the bed spread. It's dead, so you chuck it in the trash and hope for the best. Every towel smells like the twenty people who used then before me. Went barefoot in the room for ten minutes and the souls of my feet are black. Needs are nice and the room is large. Thats all the good I have to say. Never again will I stay at a best western.

    2
    « Really gone downhill »

When we started coming here 3 or 4 years ago it was a nice place to stay, not fancy but nice, well kept. No longer ... paint peeling off a pool that has not been clean the last few times we've stopped, pool was still locked up in the evening - had to get a desk clerk to open it up) and I had to clean the bugs leaves etc. before I could use it. Spa has been non-working and cordoned off all year, floors are new but dirty (wiped up water spill and cloth came away black), towels are chinzey (small and thin), shower head calcified (gross), unwrapped used soap placed with wrapped soap, AC barely cools room (in Arizona), room has old, stale smell. They only have one handicap room. Time to move on, we won't be back. Too bad, we will miss our regular Benson stop.

    2
    « Cannot recommend »

I dislike giving a bad review but travelers need to know this Best Western lacks anything like basic maintenance. First the spa was closed indefinitely with no inkling of when it might reopen but the room issues far outweighed that. Due to non-working or mal-functioning issues, we were assigned to five different rooms in our 3-night stay. Broken a/c, tv, toilet, deadbolt, security latches, smoke smell in non-smoking room & 1 not made up. Staff was good and Paula's breakfasts outstanding.

    5
« Clean rooms and Great staff »

We have been driving cross country for over a week and just needed a place to stop, rest and do some laundry. The rooms are very clean, but the staff is amazing. They are very helpful, friendly accommodating.

    3
« Good value but could have been cleaner. »

Conveniently located off I-10, Quail Hollow is, like most Best Westerns, a good value. But unlike other Best Westerns I've stayed in, my room at Quail Hollow could have used a more thorough cleaning (the floor was unswept and the mirror hadn't been cleaned properly). The front desk staff were polite and helpful and this was otherwise a nice stay.

    5
    « HOT! »

Our Best Western was spacious, clean and had easy freeway access! Rooms were VERY clean and welcoming. Office staff helpful and the hot dog place close to hotel was EXCELLENT! Called Wild Dogs! Gotta try it!

    5
    « Great Value »

We stayed at the Best Western Quail Hollow Inn in Benson Az. It was one of the nicest Inn's we stayed at on our trip to Texas. Amazing value, very clean room, and great staff. The second Best Western that we stayed at and will use them on future trips.

    4
    « A good place to stay »

The hotel was clean, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good. What more could you want at the price. I would recommend this hotel. It is easy on off I 10 bur we didn't hear the traffic.

  • 4
« A true home away from home »

Very nice facilities, with a helpful and outgoing staff. Road noise on ones side, train noise on the other, and pool noise in between may pose a problem to some, but not an issue for me. Staff went well beyond to help make me feel at home.

    3
    « Clean and Friendly »

Hotel was a bit outdated but very clean. Staff from check in to the evening restaurant were very accommodating, friendly and always available. Would recommend this hotel to guest traveling through the area

    4
    « Wonderful Stay! »

This hotel is a diamond in the rough. The staff is excellent! They are very attentive and upon check-in, Denise made sure we ahd everything we needed. This was just a quick overnight stop, but the rooms were clean and they had a full hot breakfast. If you need a place to stay near Benson, be sure to check out the Best Western Quail Hollow Inn.

    5
« Best Value in Area »

If visiting areas in southern AZ Best Western in Benson is the place to stay. Very clean and accommodating. Beds are extremely comfortable and rooms are spacious. In room coffee and a nice selection of breakfast items including hot items to get the day started. Clean pool and spa. Very accommodating staff. Location is easy to get in and out of and ideal to visit many sites and activities in this area of AZ. This is the place to stay!!!!!

    5
« good value, great breakfast »

Good value for family. Breakfast had hot eggs, sausage, gravy, potatoes, etc. Coffee and juices were available. Dining room was very clean and roomy. Staff was very helpful. Room was comfortable and nice size. No problems. Parking was convenient in front of room.

    4
    « Benson, AZ BW »

The Best Western hotel was very reasonably priced and the rooms were nice. The rooms come with a refrigerator, microwave, desk, table and 2 chairs. The staff was friendly and helpful with guiding us with activities in the area.

    4
« Great Hotel for Families »

Our family loved this hotel. The rooms were very comfy with both a small table and chairs and a desk. The beds were just right with nice linens. We loved the pool and hot tub. Breakfast was standard but good. The only reason this is not a 5 star is that they close breakfast at 9am on Saturday and everyday which I thought was a little early for those wanting to get a little extra sleep on a Saturday morning. Not an issue for our family but several others came in after 9 and were surprised. Very friendly hotel staff. We'll definitely stay here again.

    4
« Not far to Kartchner Caverns in Arizona »

The rooms have been updated, and the free hot breakfast gets an "A". They have a nice seasonal pool, and hot spa. On the down side - There is only one restaurant within walking distance, and the hotel is in an older part of town.

    4
« Breakfast had bacon and cheese! »

This was a last-minute booking. Called BW 800 number and got a great, CS guy that researched the rates and asked if I had a Costco or Sam's club card for a better discount. LOVED THAT! Having stayed at several BW's during my road trip from California to Texas, this was the first one that had bacon and grated cheese to add to the typical hot scrambled eggs, sausage and biscuit. Also, the attendant (Rosie?) in the breakfast room was very nice and attentive. A+ for her! My only small, issue was that there were only 2 large towels in our room, but no problem to get 2 more.

    5
    « GOOD NIGHTS REST »

Front desk was very polite and helpful. Sent us off to a very good restaurant in town. Our room was very clean and well maintained with a bed that put us right to sleep for the whole night. Peaceful and quiet.

  • 4
    « Quiet hotel »

Stayed in Benson, Arizona a second time. The hotel room was very quiet. That is nice since I am a light sleeper. Bed was more comfortable than the last Best Western Hotel I stayed in. Breakfast was the usual from Best Western so it is not great but not bad.

    4
    « Really Good Choice »

Very friendly welcome when I arrived in the hotel. Super friendly staff, clean and nice rooms with good beds. Internet was fast too. Breakfast was ok, with hot things, swimming pool and hot tube have been great as well.

    4
    « Road Trip »

After a long day on the road I called ahead to this motel luckily a room was available after finding out nothing was available in Tucson. I pulled in with the U Haul. Lots of parking and well lit. Checked in which took maybe 10 minutes. Room was was very clean and comfortable.

    4
« Tombstone here we come »

Going to Tombstone, Arizona was a planned trip. we wanted to see that part of Arizona. It is only half hour from thee and it was worth it. It is good when there are more items then a regular continental breakfast. More fruit would have been better.

    « anniversary »

we were there for a special time and while there isnt much to do in Benson we went to other close by towns and had a really good time we like this room and motel because it was quiet and we could come and go and relax when we wanted

    « Boo »

Checked in. Key card worked. Air conditioner did not work. Wouldn't even power up. Called front desk who said that someone would be right there. 20 minutes later still waiting. Called the front desk again. No clue when someone would there. Went back to the FD for a room change. Went to the new room. In the meantime a family was trying to use the pool but it was locked at both entrances. Housekeeper finally went to unlock it. At the new room the key card did not work. Green active light did not come on. Back to the FD. New cards issued. Back to the room. Cards did not work again. The battery must have been dead as there as no green or red light. Back to the FD. New room. Key worked, a/c worked and it didn't smell like a kennel or smoking den this time. Rm is in a newer section and is clean.

« If this was my first BW experience, I would never stay with another BW again »

I travel for a living and stay in hotels very regularly. If this was my first experience with a Best Western, I would never stay in another one again. The woman at the front desk was helpful. But the rooms are not at all indicative of a best western. The rooms (I was in 2 different ones within 10 minutes of checkin) resemble a red roof inn or motel 6 room. The air conditioning was set to max in both rooms and it is cooler outside than inside. I set it to 63 and my thermostat app says its 75 degrees in here. The doors are sticky and hard to open and close. There are no plugs near the bed to charge devices. You need the "coupon" from the front desk to be able to get breakfast. Who is really going to run in from the street for this breakfast?! Nothing's around, so someone would actually have to drive to the hotel just to sneak into the breakfast. There are no restaurants around, except fast food. There is no elevator and only one inconvenient set of stairs for the entire second floor. The "hardwood floors" are dirty. They definitely didn't even vacuum. The toiletries are half full-like someone used them already. I can't wait to get out of here and never return. This place doesn't need renovations, it needs to be demolished and started over. Almost forgot to add the train! Yeah, it goes by when you have just fallen asleep, and it's not quiet at all.

    5
    « Best bed EVER! »

This bed was so comfortable that I did not want to leave! Property was very clean and staff was great. Lots of closed businesses in the area, so you have a drive a mile or two to find gas and services, but it was worth it since the price of the room was so reasonable.

    2
« My room. Dirty and unsafe »

The good. Lady at front desk very nice and helpful. Breakfast was good. Good selection. Eggs, sausage etc l. The BAD. Peanut crumbs on floor for two days. Soap dish still had water and bar soap scum. Nasty. SAFETY ISSUE. Door and door frame are made of metal, good. Top of door sticks against frame. VERY difficult to open and close. A young or age abundant person would possibly not be able to open. My 7 yr old grandson would NOT be able to open this door. There is no way that this motel does not know about this issue

    5
« I could have slept all day »

I love a comfortable bed with four pillows and this Best Western in Benson gave me just that. Plus the room they gave us has never had a smoker or a pet in the room. We got in too late to use the pool but it looked inviting. The location is convenient, just off I-10 with easy access and it's close to the restaurants and grocery store. The best part was the complementary breakfast. Biscuits and gravy (the real deal) sausage and scrabbled eggs plus what you get on a continental breakfast. Service was great, I asked for my last nights dinner to be reheated and she did it for me. We like staying here whenever we head out west. Thanks Quail Hollow

    « First Stay a Smoky Disappointment »

the room was clean and beds comfortable. Good shower head and a vanity outside of the bathroom made it convenient for sharing the room with colleagues. Unfortunately, the ventilation system was brought in smoke from another room. It was so strong it clung to our clothes and we had to keep the bathroom door shut tightly so we couldn't use the bathroom light to navigate in the night. This is an important issue for asthma sufferers like myself.

« Nice hotel in Benson »

Very nice hotel. We had a room in the back row that is a single story building so there was no noise from any floors above or below us. We didn't know there were train tracks half a mile away until we went out of the room. It was a nice quiet room.

« Best Western Quail Hollow Inn, Benson AZ »

Stayed 8 days. Staff is superior and friendly. They went out of their way to make my stay comfortable. The room rate was reasonable, and the amenities satisfactory. The breakfast room had an extensive array of food choices which I enjoyed. The bed was a bit hard, but it didn't interrupt my sleep. The location is good; just off I-10 on Ocotillo Road.

« A trip to Amerind in Dragoon, AZ »

My sister & I traveled to visit a friend in Tucson & continued east on Rt 10 stopping in Benson for the night before leaving the next morning for Tombstone and the Amerind Museum in Dragoon. This hotel is right off of RT 10 exit 318. This hotel was perfect for an overnight stay, a 1-2 mile drive to places to eat, an outdoor pool and peaceful sleep.

    « Enjoyed a great stay here! »

Clean room, comfortable bed, in-room Wi-Fi, nice staff, tolerable in-window air conditioner/heater which worked really well, quiet (except for distant train whistle which we loved hearing!) Nice pool area although we didn't use. Very nice breakfast area with fairly good choice of foods and the attendant was extremely friendly and helpful. Staff gave good restaurant recommendations (Horseshoe was our favorite.) Would recommend this location for anyone venturing out to Kartchner Caverns State Park.

    « Good overnight stop »

Nice place, good location, great service. Good price, includes a decent breakfast. Good jumping off place for Kartchner Caverns, Tombstone, or Bisbee. Ask for inner or south-facing room due to interstate traffic noise on north-facing rooms.

    « acceptable »

check in / check out experience was good. Hotel was of the drive up to the door style, which my wife likes. the room was basically clean although it showed signs of age the bathroom should have been cleaner. We would stay there again on our way through Bensen.

    « Very disappointed »

I have stayed at this Best Western many times in the past and was completely satisfied. This time I was SHOCKED when I entered the room to see cheap ugly dark brown laminated floors with no carpet, very hard and cold on the feet. Also, in the past they had nice chairs and a few tables outside the rooms where you could sit and relax. These were all gone. And the breakfast, which used to be wonderful, was one step above continental. Eggs were terrible and no sausage as before. Would not go back. Definitely not worth the $95 I paid.

« Slept great, in spite of the train »

I've stayed here several times. The bed is so comfortable that I honestly only heard the train twice and went right back to sleep! The personnel are always very friendly. Without being asked , when we were checking out the desk person gave us ideas for local events,

This was a nice interlude as we drove from LA to Lubbock. It was away from the busy cities. The Italian restaurant was fine. The area was peaceful and gave a sense of quiet after the crazy interstate driving.

« Very close to Highway »

Handy place to go when you travel on the I 10.....excellent service from the front desk and the morning waitress for breakfast. Only problem noted is the fact that room's floor should be washed. Everything else in the room was relatively clean and confortable. Internet is very strong.

    « Great area...great sleep »

We really enjoyed our stay here. Everything at the hotel is very clean and all the staff were helpful, very friendly & courteous. Our room was clean and we had a comfortable sleep. The area is easy to get to and easy to find. We were easily able to connect to the internet & had a great connection.

    « Excellent service »

Hotel personnel very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Responsive to any request we made. Only issue was a broken spa. Pool was not heated but breakfast very good. Would stay here again. Thank you very much.

« Great place to stay »

The room was clean, comfortable, nicely decorated. Having free Wi-Fi was great. The rooms had all the amenities needed. Having a laundry room was nice as well. I was visiting family and they to were impressed by the good quality of the room. The staff was very polite through out our stay. The property was right off the freeway and easy to find along with being centrally located to stores and the local food establishments. Thanks for a great stay.

    4
    « Great Stay »

Easy access to the freeway for all the touristy spots in the area and easy to get in and out of hotel. I will return to this hotel if I'm ever in the area again and would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the area for business or pleasure.

« thanks for a good start to a vacation »

great value for good quality hotel; friendly staff; excellent breakfast especially considering the low rate. very comfortable beds with crisp, clean, fresh linen, and a NON-FOAM pillow!! nice pool, quiet surroundings

    « Very Unclean »

We were just passing through so only stayed here a short time, but was pretty disappointed. Our room was not cleaned well at all. Hair all over the sink and counter and a really nasty towel left in the sink. The floor was clearly not vacuumed and wood floor area was really sticky. We would never stay here again. The reason I gave this 2 stars was because the staff was extremely helpful and friendly!

    2
    « Friendly but.... »

The staff were very friendly and accommodating, but the room was not clean. Two different kinds of hair(you know what I mean), on the bathroom wall and floor, and I'm not sure if it was feces or blood drop on the shower wall. Housekeeping also neglected to remove the previous occupants food from the refrigerator. I would have asked for different room but my roommate is handicapped and was already settled in. I cleaned the bathroom and did tell the front desk the next day.

« Good place to stop »

It is a good hotel to stop at before Tuscon. There are several restaurants that are close by, and 2 pizza places that deliver. R & R is the best one. It is best to make a reservation because it does fill up quickly. There is a pool, but ask for a room on the inside since it is right next to the freeway.

  • 5
    « Easy on/off site »

In addition to welcoming staff, room design has wisely NOT covered the floor with carpeting. In the desert, sand is found in every space. Room cleaning is easier with the "wood"floors and bedside small carpet is enough. Room larger than normal. Bath is oddly lighted with only a small wall lamp in shower/toilet area Despite nearness to I-10, very quiet. Breakfast was plentiful though crowded room which was overly warm even with door open. Breakfast was varied menu at buffet bar. Would return

« Quail Inn Benson, AZ »

The overall experience was average. The staff was courteous and helpful. The guest room was adequate. The lock on the room needed repair. Breakfast average. Did not care for solid floor in room. Prefer a carpeted room. Bathroom amenities, shampoo, etc., were average. . .

    4
    « Good Location »

This was a good location for several area activities. The hotel was not fancy, but there was a pool and hot tub. Unfortunately the pool was closed. The staff was friendly, but not very knowledgeable about the area. Local restaurants were good, but nothing fancy and nothing in walking distance.

    « Would stay again »

This hotel meets all my Best Western Hotel standards, clean, comfortable, friendly staff, good breakfast, safe. A relief to locate this hotel on a highway with amenities few and far between. Would stay again if ever passing through.

    « Nice, Comfortable Stay »

The Best Western Quail Hollow Inn had everything we've been accustomed to expect from Best Western - a clean, comfortable room, a good, hot breakfast selection and courteous service. The price was much more reasonable than staying in Tucson. The staff was extremely friendly, and the breakfast was better than most. We would stay here again if we're back in the area.

    « Hard Bed »

The hotel staff are great, very helpful and caring. The location is very good. The hotel sits right at the off ramp on I-10 in Benson, Arizona. I found it to be very quiet even with the Interstate 150 yards away. My major complaint was the bed, NOT GOOD!!

« Pleasant Stay For Tired Wanderer »

I was stuck in slow traffic for over ten miles; I was tired, it was a late evening and I had no reservation. in addition, I had two dogs with me. Elizabeth was very helpful when I called - she advised me of the construction on the freeway and said she would hold the reservation. The room was nice, clean, the bed was comfortable. Had a good night's sleep and a great breakfast the next morning. Staff did a great job keeping the dining area clean and food fresh.

« Large room, friendly staff »

We stayed in 125. It was big. It could easily hold a crib or a rollaway in addition to the king size bed. It had a microwave and mini-fridge, a sink outside of the bathroom, and a good-sized desk and easy chair. With it's paper band over the toilet and the shower curtain tied back with ribbon it was a step back in time. Breakfast staff worked very hard to keep up with demand.

« Friendly staff, clean rooms »

Hotel was very convenient to I-10, if you are just passing through. It was right next to the highway, which you could hear slightly in our room facing the Interstate, but was easily drown out with the gentle hum of the fan. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and willing to help. We arrived quite late, but the lady who checked us in at the front desk was still kind and in good spirits. The room was cozy. My only gripes are the terrible CFL bulbs in the lamps, as they give off an obnoxious light, and the mattress was very firm for my tastes. The room was very clean, well decorated and had plenty of space for my kids and I. Breakfast was awesome, lots of options, and the server was working efficiently to keep everything well stocked.

    « Nothing But Problems »

I am usually in the habit of doing reviews when I have great experiences, but I'm making an exception because our experience was so bad! We stayed 4 nights, and in that time our room was only cleaned once (and that was after we complained). We had to go the front office to even get towels, and the dirty ones were never picked up. The manager Told us that only 1 housekeeper had shown up for work and their washing machine was broken!!! In addition, shortly after checking in we went to the office to complain that the toilet was not flushing properly. We were given a nasty plunger and told that someone would fix it in the morning! It was still not working when we checked out. As an added bonus, our room key was not working when we returned to the hotel on our 2nd night. I told the woman at the front desk who I had never met our room number and she gave me a new key without even asking for my name or any ID -great security!! When we got in our room and found it uncleared we returned to the desk and were informed that we had checked out.,?!? (We still had 3 nights reserved!). Of course, when we tried to change the reservation because of all the issues we were told we couldn't because the reservations had been made through an online reservation service instead of directly with them! At the end of this miserable experience when we complained to the manager at checkout, all we got was excuses and "I'm very sorry". Worst hotel experience ever!!!!

    « Very pleasant stay »

We had a nice clean quiet room and found the friendly staff. Particularly enjoyed the friendly helpful staff in the breakfast room. We stayed two nights, visiting Kartchner Caves during the day. Our room was neatly cleaned when we returned after a day away.

« Check the Bill and the Beds »

Somethings were great, such as the kitchen staff, breakfast, and large room with both a desk and table. Instant hot water was a plus. On the reverse side was the billing error difference from the printed confirmation and the sheet at the desk. Management straightened it out, but was somewhat rude. One of the queen beds squeaked so badly upon sitting or rising, it sounded like a cat fight. The toilet did not flush well. As an aside, the hot tub was roped off and drained. We'd stay again, but check the room first.

    4
    « Convenient Location »

My husband and I stayed here February 2016. The facility is very clean and neat, which was much appreciated. The staff was very friendly and personable, and the hot breakfast was impressive for such a small establishment. There was a train that drove by all night, so if train noises bother you, this might not be the best choice.

« Great Hotel right off the I-10 Highway »

Booked this on the BW website great hotel very clean and well kept. We were upgraded to a Double Queen at the same rate as our original booking. BW club member receive welcoming gift bags with water and snacks. The double queen rooms at the back of the property away from the road and are large open with a table by the window and a desk at the rear before the vanity and washroom. The beds are comfortable with large pillows. The wifi was great fast and stable. Breakfast was very good offering waffles, biscuits, gravy, eggs, bacon and sausage patties. There were cereals, breads, fruit cups and yogurts also. Coffee, teas and juices to drink. Very reasonably priced if you book on BW site and use AAA discount, etc.

    « Challenges were met »

Reservations were made 2 days before arriving. After 3 days of hard travel, it was 5:30pm, I was ready to kick back. But the surly man at the front desk, Wayne, told me, "Come back in 2 hours. There are no roons ready, not my fault." WHAT?! I found a housekeeper, Delany, and she had a room ready within 30 minutes! And it was her 2nd day! She restored my confidence. The room was clean and roomy. Breakfast was fantastic! And a wonderful variety. What started rough, was made right through the customer service I received for my remaining stay. I would recommend this hotel.

    3
    « Too Much Noise »

My husband and I recently spent one evening and I had a very restless sleep with noise from trains running and hearing everything from the room next door. Had a hard time with getting the door key to work. Wall outlets were few. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast area was decent.

    « Good Choice! »

I had a comfortable stay at the Best Western Quail Hollow Inn in Benson, Arizona. It is adjacent to Interstate 10, which made it very accessible; however, it's a bit noisy if your room is on the North face of the hotel. The room had several amenities which is why I booked it: a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker. The bed was very comfortable and they do offer a bounty at their morning buffet. The only complaint I had was that the floor was filthy and there were far too may foreign hairs in the bathroom; yuck! The pool looked inviting, but considering it is winter, I dared not take a dip and their Jacuzzi was out of commission. If you're coming to AZ to visit Kartchner Caverns State Park, which is cooler than ?cool?, I would definitely consider staying at BW Quail Hollow Inn. I was there to view the Sandhill Crane migration at Wings Over Willcox, and had several time constraints that the Best Western manager was more than willing to accommodate like early check in and a grab and go breakfast.

    « my review »

other then the light bugging our sleep everything else was great. Loved the breakfast. Customer service was also right on point.I wish the clock also worked. Oh also the front desk person that checked us in was very good at his job an was also helpful when looking for a bit to eat

    3
« Not bad, not great, and not great value »

This was a standard motel room, minus any carpet on the floor (I thought this was perhaps because they kept some rooms for travelers with pets, which was our situation, but I see another reviewer got the laminate-floor room and doesn't mention having pets along) -- that really does reduce the pleasantness of a motel room. The bed was comfortable, plumbing worked and all seemed clean. The cord from the coffeemaker didn't reach the electric outlet; I had to put the coffeemaker on top of the overturned ice bucket to plug it in. We reserved through Trip Advisor ($68 vs. $95), and the evening desk staff person told us we could pay the additional pet fee in the morning -- but the morning person said that shouldn't be her job, plus it screws up the night audit, and it delayed our departure by a few minutes while she prepared the charges and told me it shouldn't be her job, etc. There is a separate small room where a hot breakfast is available, with a very pleasant attendant to help you through the choices. I agree with another reviewer that the price seems a little high for the location, but not enough to leave and look for someplace else.

    « Hotel »

Comfortable bed but not clean. Scarce staff. Housekeeping rifled through my personal items and moved them around but didn't clean anything. I have stayed at Best Westerns before that went out of their way to make guests feel comfortable but this one was not one of them.

    2
« Get away to Kartchner Caverns »

Room was clean but older. Floor is vinyl laminate so cold on the feet in winter. Noise from train very close hourly. At 1:04 am someone mysteriously opened our room door and awakened us. Needless to say it was an unsettling night. Friendly front desk staff. Will not come back.

    4
    « A place to sleep »

Very nice front desk staff. An older property, but not in too bad of shape. Did not realize how close it was to the train tracks. I felt that the room rate was a little high for the location, but not so much that I went some where else.

    2
« I will not recommend this property »

The hotel is located between a freeway and railway so there is a lot of noise. The bed was comfortable and the check-in/check-out staff were friendly. However the room was not cleaned or tidied during our 2-night stay and although the assistant-manger said she would contact us regarding a reduction in the rate, we have heard nothing from her or any other staff member.

    5
    « Wonderful STAY!!! »

This place I would recommend ... Although the bed was too hard, most probably appreciate a FIRM bed!!! Other than that our stay was pleasant!!! The staff was kind, the rooms are beautiful and very clean.... If I go back to Benson, I will stay there!!!! Thanks for a great experience on our 26th Anniversary!!!

« And the train rolled on »

This motel would have been just fine, but is so close to an active railroad tracks, and all day and all night the trains blow their horns, and you can hear the gates come down. Room amenities were good, Breakfast and breakfast Staff very good. Price is high for what you get, Next time I'll drive from Tucson rather than try to stay in Benson

    « B/W Benson OK for a one nighter »

We stayed one night in Benson on our way to Texas. Hotel staff was kind and helpful as we arrived at 11 p.m. Hair dryer was missing and we could not plug ours into the wall plug because of the frame on the mirror. There was no pen in the room to leave messages for hotel staff. Breakfast was way above average for a BW. Be sure to get a room that faces away from the interstate as it get noisy from all of the trucks on the road.

    « Great Stopby »

If you are on a long flying trip from out East and are going between Tuscon to Stafford for a drive, it is worth the stop. I recommend an overnight stay to help with the drive. After 12 hours in airports a couple of hours of driving is difficult.

    « Easy on & off I-10 »

We stayed over night, the Front Desk folks are very helpful, the hotel in undergoing a lot of refurbishing and as such appears a bit disheveled, but we slept well and the rate was reasonable, the room was clean and well kept, there is a bit of train noise at night, but, it was not a big distraction.

    « Very accommodating staff »

I needed a room where I could park my car at the door. Front desk made sure I had that and also gave me all the info on the tourist attractions in the area with recommendations. The room is spacious and clean. I arrived a little early but my room was ready. There is a heated pool, jacuzzi and laundry facilities. Great place to stay for a break during my road trip through Arizona. Staying here for 3 nights to visit Kartchner Caverns, Tombstone and Saguaro National Park.

« Expectations met- wonderful service... »

Clean , spacious rooms and free hot breakfast. Each employee who helped us gave us great, individual service. The staff here is even friendlier than usual. Rose, who was in the breakfast room, greeted each patron as they came through the door, and Brandi from the front desk called our room after we were settled just to see if everything was satisfactory.

« Nice place that they keep up well »

Very nice and convenient location. Tidy Rooms. Recently Refurnished. Excellent working function. Nice to have microwave and refrigerator as we got in late and needed a snack before bed. Starting off last year we stayed in this same motel and trains were not an issue. This time there were 4 trains that went by during the night, using warning horns. Previous time I never heard a single train. Last stay I was in the south wing facing the pool. Much quieter then.

    « Nice Stay »

All of the Staff was very helpful and friendly, breakfast was great and in a nice large area. The lady in there was very concerned that we were getting what we wanted. Enjoyed a very nice clean room. Amenities were good also. I will stay there again the next time I am in the area.

    « Nice hotel »

Picked this hotel because of more positive reviews and was not disappointed. Close to Karchners Caverns and Tombstone about 15 and 20 mins. Reasonable price, friendly staff, clean and comfortable bed. Hot and cold breakfast was good. The only problem is train tracks beside it and heard the train whistles in middle of the night but not frequent. We stayed in room #316 which is much quiter and no one above you. Over all I would still stay next trip. Would recommend if you are in the area. Plus lots of restaurant around the vicinity.

    4
    « Comfortable Beds »

I always look at staying at Best Western Hotels first as I've been satisfied most of the stays. This hotel is undergoing upgrading the rooms. They do the work during the day, so if you need to sleep during the day, it might be bothersome. I must say their beds are among the best I've every slept in at a hotel. The pillows are a little weird to figure out due to the way they make them up, but it is a very minor issue that is quickly resolved. The area that the hotel is in is close to I 10, but most of the businesses around it are closed and not too attractive.

    « Loud trains »

STopped here on our way to Tombstone to see the shoot out at the OK Corral. The hotel was neat and clean. Beds for comfortable but the trains were LOUD. They ran quite frequently throughout the night. Breakfast was adequate and staff was quite friendly.

« Good place to stay »

Easy access, good rates, comfortable bed and great breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful and the town was located nearby for easy food. Stopped off at grocery store for something to eat, picked up salads that were fresh and crisp.

    3
« Beware of loud train »

Stopped here on our way back to Colorado, nothing in this town to do but there is "Tombstone " just 30 minutes away. The local train runs every 30 minutes sounding off its horn which was the most irritating sound to be woken up to all night. Room was clean. Didn't eat continental breakfast, staff lacked personality. Pool was ice cold. Only two lounge chairs in pool area. Wouldn't stay here again.

« Sometimes you do get what you pay for! »

We were getting back to Texas from California and drove as much as we could. We were tired and needed a good nights sleep. This Hotel stood out off of I-10 so we stopped. We asked for a room to drive up to and the room they gave us was up some steps so we asked for something else. (We have difficulty with stairs or inclined ramps.) We were offered the handicapped room and although I was a little worried about that we took it. The handicapped shower was very clean and had a sprayer that was very nice. We were given extra coffee for the in room coffee maker. There was an iron and an ironing board, a hair dryer, a refrigerator and a microwave. The office staff were outstanding in getting us comfortable. There were two things not to our liking. The A/C did not have any setting but what was already set 77 degrees, low fan, cool. The air flow was very low. We have a filter fan we always take with us in case the "Non-Smoking" room is not a non-smoking room, so we just turned that on. The window was open and was hard to close, probably because the A/C didn't work. The pillows were too fluffy. I know....picky picky but in order to get a good nights sleep you have to have good pillows. We had our own with us so we just used them. Those two things though are small compared to the GREAT staff, the absolutely CLEAN room and the bed was a large king and the best I have slept on since we left home. I would absolutely stay here again but would ask for another room or that the A/C be fixed. We were just too tired to change the room twice. We did not stay for breakfast but it was advertised as a "Hot" breakfast. I have no doubt that there were many choices. The area is not the most abundant in places to eat but we found a Pizza place, a Subway, and a Donut shop close to the Hotel.

Nice sized rooms, very clean, comfortable beds and pillows, with excellent full breakfast and a very attentive staff. The pool is heated, which was a huge plus for us and our 6 year-old grandson. I've not seen this stated. For 9 mos of the year here, it would be too cold to swim otherwise. The front desk called our room after we'd been in our room maybe an hour to ask if everything was to our satisfaction, advising us to call if we needed anything. I don't remember ever having that happen. There are no elevators. The hotel is just off I-10 and busy railroad tracks are down the street. We heard nothing in our room, which was located facing the pool ("inside" of the U-shaped layout). Very convenient to nearby attractions in this more rural part of the state where hotels are not abundant.

    « THE WORST BEST WESTERN EVER!!HORRIBLE!!!! »

NEVER stay at this hotel the room was horrible! It smelled, there was blood in the bath room floor, the lamps had no light bulbs, the bath room ceiling was broken, the phone and blow dryer did not work, there is no elevator. The general manager James [--] needs a good class on customer service and needs to get more educated. I know now why there was vacancy.

What a great hotel to stay at after a long day of driving. Immaculate, top notch condition, great workout room, service and great breakfast. If this ownership can keep up an older hotel this well there is no excuse for anyone else not to do so.

    « Pleasantly surprised »

The hotel is situated just off the slip road for the I10. After a 4 hour drive from Yuma we were just looking for an overnight before pressing on with our journey. Upon check in the receptionist gave us some information about the local area and offered us menus for local places to eat. We found this really useful. Our room was on the second floor and was very nice. The pool area was clean with beds and chairs.

    « Good Stop »

Appreciated all the information we were given about the area at check-in. The interior of our room looked a bit worn and the bed was pretty hard. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful and Rose made sure everything was well stocked. Helpful staff--as I was checking out one of them came in the side door with an item I had forgotten.
