    « Bit of a let down »

Just back from having stayed here for 4 days. I'll start with the positives. Absolutely stunning hotel, yes it's small, yes the rooms are compact but the entire hotel is spotless clean & chambermaids were amazing. Very central location with both cadet metro & grand boulevard app 5 mins walk away. Francesca on front desk was amazing, a fountain of knowledge & both friendly & professional. The patisserie directly opposite was amazing & breakfast for 2 was app 7€ each morning as opposed to the 12€90 that the hotel charge PER PERSON. Although I did not avail of this, I did see the spread each morning & it was definitely not worth that price tag. Unfortunately that's were it ended. There was no food available, no bar, we rang down for 2 coke to be told we would have to get them from reception ourselves. We were questioned as to why we were using so many tea bags (were Irish!!), no travel adapter when ours broke, no phone charger, no English Chanel's on tv (except news) couldn't use the phone line to call home, couldn't charge our phone at reception but the icing on the cake was when my husband asked for a cork screw only to be told to " do not let anyone see( The bottle of wine) please hide" and to ensure we returned the cork Screw "very discreetly as we should not have" ! Making us feel like two underage teenagers who were doing something wrong!! I could maybe understand if the hotel had a bar but as it had not I felt this cloak & dagger attitude very unnecessary. Such a shame as it really is such a beautiful quaint little hotel but staff & facilities really let it down

« Best Western Diva Opera hotel »

Absolutely great accommodation, I was very pleased with my choice. Clean, well located so you are closed to all happening; friendly helpful staff; good wifi; great value for money. very comfortable bed. I can highly recommended. And I am a fussy person :).

    « Lovely hotel »

This is about the fourth or fifth time we have stayed here and the hotel is consistently good. Comfortable beds, quiet rooms, clean and modern looking. The rooms are not huge but it is Paris and unless you are in a £500 a night hotel, you won't get huge. There is enough room to be comfortable though and plenty of wardrobe space as well as a tea and coffee tray. The staff are always so pleasant and helpful which always brings us back.

    « Fab »

This was a great place to stay. ..the staff were friendly the rooms were tidy and very quirky. The staff spoke English but were supportive of me speaking french (and we're very patient)! The hotel was central to the metro although we walked most places...louvre 20 mins away. Parking on the street was a no go but the hotel have discounted rates in a parking building a street over...quite expensive but the knowledge that your car is safe is worth the price! Whole thing was awesome!

« Nice hotel in a very handy area »

A very nice hotel in the center of Paris. I stayed with my wife for a week. The rooms are very clean and the staff very helpful. There are many restaurants around and a metro station very close to the hotel. It's a quite hotel althought it is located in city center.

« Excellent base for Paris »

We stayed here two nights with some American friends. It is a very nice, modern boutique hotel with friendly and welcoming staff. The rooms look new and the beds are comfortable,, good linen. The a/c works extremely well. Bathrooms are very modern with big showers and plenty of hot water. Our friends had a triple room as they were travelling with their son and this was a lovely arrangement with the single bed in an adjoining room giving everyone space and privacy. The hotel had free wifi in the rooms. Location was good. Plenty of restaurants around for breakfast, lunch and dinner at all prices. The metro was a very short walk away. The Folies Bergere is visible from many bedroom windows and its a quiet area. No traffic noise. We would definitely return and can recommend this hotel to anyone. We didn't take the breakfast. You can get better and cheaper outside.

    « Amazing stay »

Very nice of the best service I got...rooms are small as compared to paris city hotel rooms..but service wise the best...Francesca in the reception deserves 5 star..she was so cheerful and helpful all the time..she gave accurate information about the metro stations ..which metro to take...she is an asset to the hotel...I would strongly recommend everyone to visit this property..

    « A comfortable start in Paris! »

Stayed for three nights - rooms basic but clean and comfy . A good location for the Metro and fairly central, staff very friendly - overall good value and would stay again when next in Paris - recommend the triple superior rooms for a family on a budget!

    « Quiet, comfortable rooms »

Very comfortable beds in a VERY quiet hotel for downtown Paris. Location is good.... 10 minutes from Gare du Nord and 25 minute walk from teh Louvre. Lots of restaurants and stores around. Small, simple hotel that is clean and quiet. Rooms are small (it's Paris), but well appointed and dark so we could sleep in after several late Paris nights. Good internet and air conditioning. Professional staff all of whom spoke English. Highly recommended. We did not try breakfast, which we thought a little pricey. There are grocery stores nearby. But we slept great and got a great value here. Also had a wonderful view of Sacre Couer from our sixth floor room... but good thing there is a small lift; the spiral stairs were a chore after a few times. Good hotel!

    « Extremely helpful staff!! »

I mistakenly booked the wrong week for my stay, and the hotel staff were extremely helpful in working out my mistake. The multiple staff I spoke with we're all friendly and caring, and the manager was very kind. Although I was not able to get a reservation due to the hotel's cancellation policy, the manager allowed me to switch the days of my originally booked stay to the week I actually meant with no extra cost. The room was comfortable, clean, and had really fast wifi! Thanks to Best Western Diva Opera, a potentially disastrous weekend turned out to be very fun and great!

    « Ok-ish »

Stayed there for two nights. The staff were really friendly and nice. The location is great, there are a lot of different types of restaurants which are not too expensive in the area. Perfectly located you could walk or take the metro to some of the attractions. Only problem was with the room, we found clothes from people who had stayed there previously in the closet. Room was veeeeery small, but we sort of expected that. Liked that the room was very quiet. We had a room at the back.

    « Mixed feelings »

I chose this place since it was very close to my office but definetely it's not suited for business travelers. Yes the furniture is ok and the design of the room is nice, if you book a superior one, but it's very small and you don't have room to unpack your luggage. Also I've found a cross the bed and in the bathtub some black hair that was not mine, probably it was the maids.

« One week in Paris »

Very friendly staff and alway willing to help. I flew in early from the states and they cleaned up my room early for me to allow me to rest... Awesome efforts.. Smaller rooms than USA rooms, but normal for Europe, and everything was clean, quite and worked well. I would stay here again!! Great A/C !!!

    « Perfect »

This quaint affordable hotel is just what I needed for one night in paris. Located 12 mins from Gare de nord and near the grand Boulevard of Monte marte. The bed was like a dream. The bathroom newly redone. Staff super friendly. If you don't mind a small room..this is perfect.

    « Stayed 5 nights June 2016 »

Nothing but good things to say. Perfect position for attractions.Staff very friendly and spoke perfect English. Room very comfortable, quiet (stayed room 507 at back) and very clean. Room cleaned every day. Toiletries provided. Hairdryer in room. Some reviews are sceptical about the area, we had no problems. Never felt unsafe.Loads of restaurants and bars on the door step catering for all requirements. Walkable to most attractions or metro very near. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment. Stayed in a 'superior' room - would suggest not a 'standard' room if staying more than 1night. Superior is more than adequate. Enough room for 2 and big bathroom. Shower is one of the best I've ever had in a hotel. Would not hesitate to come again if ever in Paris

    « Handy spot »

Stayed here with my wife for one night at the start of our holiday. Booked via an online booking site. It's a little out of the way from the big attractions and parking is a 5 minute walk away in an under ground car park that will cost you €30 for 24hrs (discount from hotel so don't forget to get the flier stamped or is a lot more). Hotel was clean and friendly. Access to other floors is a bit tight with a tiny lift or a very disorientating spiral staircase. Would stay again as good value for the price in Paris.

    « Lovely room »

I stayed there with my mother on a short trip to Paris and the room was lovely and cosy. The bed was really comfortable, the staff were very helpful and friendly. Within a short distance from the centre of the city and a lot of restaurants around.

« Excellent service! Memorable stay! »

The hotel definitely provides excellent value for money! Staff is very friendly and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. It even had a Nespresso coffee machine and nice bath amenities! Furthermore, the hotel provides a wide variety of options for breakfast. Location is perfect, perfect for sight-seeing and shopping and the neighbourhood is safe and quiet! I will be definitely coming back!

« Best beds, great location »

Loved this place. Tiny room, as to be expected for a boutique hotel in Paris, but this was not a problem, there was enough room to move around. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room and the tap water is lovely to drink. I loved the fluffy black carpet. The bed was wonderfully comfortable, a huge plus in my book. Great, powerful shower. Nice bathroom. We were overlooking the courtyard ? well, we had a spiral fire escape staircase and some scaffolding outside our window, so there was nothing to look at ? but this made it impossibly quiet. You would never in a million years think you were in the middle of Paris, it was silent at night. The staff were lovely, very helpful. They all speak excellent English but I think they appreciated my efforts at communicating en français! On the last morning, we'd run out of tea bags so called reception to ask them to bring more. They arrived 15 minutes later with a continental breakfast for us both, which was wonderful. It's centrally located, right in the middle of all the action. Grands Boulevards Metro is a 5-minute walk away and Gare du Nord is 15 minutes' walk. It's within easy walking distance of the Seine, the Jewish Quarter (a must if you like falafels), Notre Dame and the Louvre to the south, and Montmartre to the north. Plenty of nightlife very close so you can party till all hours. It's easy to get food late at night within a few minutes' walk. Loads of restaurants, boulangeries and lovely little Parisian bars close by. The only negative (and it's a minuscule point) is that there was never enough milk or tea bags left in the room. But they would happily replenish these when asked. Otherwise it was perfect. I would definitely stay here again.

« Great visit, would return. »

Location is excellent, close to two metro stops only 10 mins walk away. You can walk to Gare Du Nord but it's around 12 mins and we had lots of bags so jumped in a taxi which cost around 8 euros. Lots of Bistros, bars and bakeries outside the hotel. Breakfast is expensive at 12 euros per person when you can go opposite to a bakery and spend that much for three people. Friendly staff, can leave your bags if needed. Clean room, not big but this is Paris. Showers were large powerful and hot and beds comfortable. Only one channel BBC news for English language but hardly watched TV as we were out sightseeing, Lovely Balcony, tea/coffee facilities and enough storage for a long weekend. We had three adults in one room and this can be difficult to find in Paris. Would definitely return to this hotel as it ticks all the boxes and good value for money. Housekeeping was excellent. This is a three star hotel and deserves its stars. Well done Best Western.

    « Everithing was good! »

We were greeted well, very friendly staff. We requested a room with a balcony, it was given to us. The room was clean and comfortable. The room has a hair dryer, air conditioning, TV, kettle. The rooms are soundproofed. If I'm in Paris again, I will definitely stay in this hotel

« Lovely hotel, central location, friendly staff »

We stayed here on business, a nice centrally located hotel in the centre of Paris on a quiet road. Great value for money. The rooms are on the small size as is usual for central Paris but they are extremely clean, well decorated and comfortable. The breakfast was a nice, clean a little buffet with good coffee (always good)! All of the staff were very friendly. Hafeda who was doing the breakfast gets a special mention as she was amazing. We had a problem (nothing to do with the hotel) and she went above and beyond to help us and made our lives a lot easier we really appreciated her help, thank you Hafeda.

« Nice Hotel, Good Location »

My wife and I stayed at this hotel in Jan 2016 for three nights, Hotel located close to the main streets in city center with the bars and restaurants, it's close to 3 metro lines and short walk to Grands Boulevard Metro station, This Hotel was basic but has been completely refurbished recently, The room was smaller than I expected but very clean and modern, Room decor was so lovely and the bed was extremely comfortable, WiFi was free in the room and lobby with an acceptable speed, All staff very friendly, polite and helpful, We didn't have breakfast because it was simple and a bit expensive, I would totally recommend this place if you are single or a couple but not with children!

« Great Hotel, love the room interior and very strategic location »

It was a family vacation with my sisters n nieces, and we were travelling from Rome to Paris. We stayed only one night but, among all hotels from Rome to Paris, Diva Opera was our Favorite hotel. The hotel was very clean, the room interior was amazing and organized well, the Owner was very friendly and so was his staff. The Location was also strategic. If you have limited time to explore Paris, Best Western Diva Opera is a good start, they provided maps and gave us suggestions where to eat and shop. It was a wonderful experience and i hope someday we can visit Paris again and definitely will stay again at Best Western Diva Opera!

    « Great experience »

The stuff at the reception was very helpful, especially a young black haired lady from Italy. The bedroom was very clean and quite big for our needs. The breakfast was nice (not something special). We had no problem with Wi-Fi in our room. The location was great. The Metro station was near and there were a lot of shops around there,so it was a great place for walk. Opera Garnier was not to far from the Hotel.

    « Nice boutique hotel »

We stayed for 5 nights in this hotel. The room is small, but it is clean and modern. We were on the fifth floor the first night. But the internet was not working. We then moved to the fourth floor the next day and the internet works a lot better. The staff is great and speaks English. We did not try the breakfast. I think the breakfast costs about 12 euro per person. There are many restaurants near by. However, we were told it is not allow to bring food and eat in the room!!! I find it a bit strange and unreasonable. The hotel is about 5 to 10 minutes walk from the Cadit metro station.

« Great hotel, friendly staff and good location »

Room: We stayed in a room which included one queen size bed, one smaller bed and extra baby bed for our 1-year-old baby. Room, beds and bathroom (with bathtube) were all nice! Seems to be quite new hotel. No complaints. Staff: All of the staff speaks good English and are willing to help when ever possible. They are all super friendly. Breakfast was also quite good, I wouldn't have needed more. Overall I would recommend the hotel for small families any time. We enjoyed our stay of six nights. Also the price wasn't that bad either.

« Bed is comfy, location is good. »

We stayed for 3 nights in this hotel and we have changed room 3 times in 3 nights just because there is no water in the shower! There was pipe issues which during our stay that causes 2 days of no water in our room. They had to shift us around to rooms which have some water, only on the last day of our stay they managed to fix the water issue and by then it was the last night, and the 3rd room we were shifted. Overall this experience mired this rating of this hotel. As the bed is comfy, the location is good with a lot of cafes around and a short walk to the metro. Wifi is unstable though.

    « Unsatisfied with cleaning, unprofessional :-( »

I didn't expect perfect satisfaction because I am working in hotel myself but I can by very understandable exactly because of that so when we arrived and I found out that our room was very dusty, basically nobody touch it, and other small things I took it very easy and with a smile (she just forgot, it can happend was my thought) But that we had "do not disturb" sign on the door next day morning and lady from the housekeeping knock on our door asking when she should come clean our room is very unprofessional! Thinking that some guests just need some sleep after long travel gets wake up by lady, not speaking english, not by able to say sorry and with very rude gesture "what ever" highly ruined my stay at this hotel that morning. Otherwise room is modern and size is good enough for two people. We had executive king size room. Location is fine for metro station, which is short walking but the streets around hotel is not pleasing, small smelly dirty corners.

    « Perfect for a citytrip! »

THE ROOM The new owners renovated the whole place about two years ago. The rooms appear in a very modern style and looked exactly like in the onlineimages. Like every hotelroom in Paris it wasn't very spacious. We could just walk around the bed and open our two small suitcases. Everything else was really great: the bathroom (very small, too) appeared in a modern design aswell, the interior is stylish and everything was clean. There is a wall-to-wall carpet, but since the room just got renovated it isn't mouldy at all. Wifi is free. Oh and the bed was of such a good quality, we slept reeally good there. Alltogether it was a very good deal, considering the (for parisian conditions) moderate prices for this central and renovated Hotel! THE EXTERIOR The facade is typically parisian, it has these small balconies with some greens, which looks really pretty. The lobby is quite small. That's also were breakfast is served, but since it's so small and a little dim, we went to a boulangerie (bakery) nearby every morning. The Hotel is perfectly located: it's close to 3 different metro lines and you can easily walk to Galerie Lafayette. Since it's almost excatly between Montmartre and the Louvre you get everywhere very fast. While the hotel itself is located in a quiet sidestreet, the Rue du Faubourg Montmartre with it's bars and some restaurants is only two streets further. THE STAFF They were really friendly and helped whereever they could. THE OCCASION We stayed in this Hotel during our 5-day-citytrip to Paris. OUR RECOMMENDATION We'd definitely return to this Hotel next time we'll visit Paris! It is clean, it is modern and it is well located.

    « Okay »

The hotel is close to Grand Boulevards & Cadet metro station so that is positive as we took a lot of metros. We stayed in room 101 and it was a good room, interior was nice. It was cold in the room though and we had to turn on the heating in the bathroom for our bedroom to get warmed up. Breakfast was fine, normal for a hotel in this price range at this time. It was a small hotel, which is normal for Paris.

    « Perfect on a budget. »

Quirky lovely hotel; good location, pleasant staff, modern nice and practical decor, awesome bathroom! I loved the spiral stairs , the framed pictures ? very chic and the breakfast purple room. Would stay there again.

« Lovely experience and so convenient! »

My wife and I stayed at this hotel in August 2015 for three nights. It is a conveniently short walk from the Gard du Nord. The room was very small, which we had expected, but of high quality. The road outside is quiet and in a nice area. The hotel is smart, beautifully decorated and quiet.Tea and coffee making in the room. The breakfast was expensive @12 euros each and quite limited. They had run out of milk when we came in, on our first morning, at 9 o'clock! We didn't stay and found a great cafe/boulangerie just across the road, where we had fresh pastries and coffee each morning for 10 euros in total! The hotel is a very short walk to Grands Boulevard Metro station and several bus routes. The Folies Bergere is at the end of the road, but closed while we were there! We ate at Bouillon Chartier and Tesoro d'Italia, both only a short walk away. See separate reviews. We'd recommend them both. The 9th arrondissement is a great slice of Parisian life, also known as The Opera Quarter. We enjoyed the Passages and the Opera Garnier; all nearby. Staff were very helpful and spoke good English.

    « Cute, avant garde »

Probably most small hotels in Paris are like Diva: cute. Combined lobby, reception and dining area are cozy. Even elevator and corridors are calculatedly enough for a couple and their limited baggages passing through. Not that I'm complaining. Design is avant grade and probably just right for tourists who are out most of the time anyway. The hotel offers modern and no frills do-it-yourself concierge assistance via an app. How cool is that! The reception people are nice too. I like it that it is situated not in the main stream area but close enough to a variety of restos and lots of convenience stores.

« Great value and good location »

First of all, the hotel is near (1,3km or 10-15' walk) the Gare du Nord railway station which is convenient for all train travellers (e.g. I arrived from Brussels) and international travellers who fly from/to CDG Airport. If you explore the neighbourhood you may find it is mixed (upscale residential housing blocks, small asian restaurants, supermarkets, ice cream store, commercial buildings, cafes). Within a few steps from the hotel door there is a boulangerie so you can grab a quick breakfast and two pubs. The hotel is between two metro stations (Grande Boulevards, Cadet) and for the ones who like walking it is quite enjoyable to reach landmarks like Sacre Coer or Pompidou within 2km (but in different directions). I chose the biggest room of the hotel (Executive Room) without breakfast at a very reasonable rate for Paris. The room is on the third floor, it had recently been renovated with a modern black and white style and it is spacious (for paris center standards). The bed is large and comfortable and facing three french windows which open to a small cute balcony. The bathroom was quite roomy with a big frosted window and a bathtub. The room had some reasonable signs of wear and tear. All in all I would say that the management photos are very honest. I did not attend breakfast service or require other room services so I don't have an opinion on that. The staff is very friendly and will help you with any questions.

    « Quiet, conveniently located. »

Rooms are clean and nicely decorated. Beds are super comfortable. Staff is very helpful. Small grocery nearby for snack foods. Many nearby ethnic restaurants. Metro short walking distance. Would stay there again

« best western diva opera »

very nice rooms. clean and tidy. very friendly and helpful front desk staff. Our train didn't leave Paris till late afternoon and we didn't want to carry our luggage around with us sightseeing (12 noon checkout time) so they held onto it for us while we were out. staff very knowledgeable about local transport and attractions.

« Excellent stay at the Diva Opera would go again. »

Stayed at the Diva Opera in May 2015 for four nights with two children ages 11 and 10. The room was compact but had everything we needed, was very clean and beds extremely comfortable - better than at home! Breakfast was a good selection and set us up well for the day. The big plus is the helpful staff at reception - nothing was too difficult from printing out disney tickets to giving directions or advising on the local restaurants. Overall an excellent central location. Would definately stay again and recommend.
