« Great Small Hotel in Paris »

This is a small hotel - but adequate for a quick weekend or week in Paris. It has a good location and is cozy. The rooms are not large - nor were they expected to be. It is clean and that is what matters. The staff is friendly and helpful. They do their best to try an d accommodate you. There is breakfast served in the basement (Ground Floor minus one - as it is referenced). Very nice place. Metro is in close walking distance. We would stay there again. The elevator is very small. Did not like that feeling. Overall, very good experience!

« Very cosy and clean! Highly recommend this hotel »

My husband and I travelled to Paris for his birthday. We arrived at 23:00 on a Friday evening and the night receptionist was very helpful and friendly. The rooms are small but very cosy and clean. It almost feels like you are in a cottage somewhere in the countryside. This hotel is very centrally located, close to the Madeleine metro station and very close to the big Gallery Lafeyette and big European chains. I would highly recommend this hotel to anybody wanting to stay centrally in Paris.

« Good location, close to Metro »

This is a nice small hotel with clean, modern rooms. The staff can converse in English well and were very helpful and pleasant. It is on a small street, noise was never noticeable, which was important to us, coming from a quiet small town. The elevator is quite small and the stairway is winding and narrow, it was no problem for us, but this may be a problem for people with large luggage. All in all, I consider it to be a charming, yet modern small hotel.

« Nice, quiet and clean hotel »

Easy access to everywhere, Quiet surroundings with nice eateries nearby. Very cosy and clean hotel. Staff are very attentive and friendly and are always ready with answers. Would highly recommend this hotel to travelers who wants a comfortable stay and easy accessibility to metro, shopping, eateries, etc.

« Good choice! Supercute hotel in the heart of Paris »

Staff is superhelpful and superkind with always a smile on their face, extraordinary :) Room is cute and supernice. Bed is comfy, room is clean, air conditioning is perfect, and although the room is tiny, it feels huge because of the nice mirrors. And the room which we stayed in had even a nice balcony on the 6th floor :) The street of the hotel is quiet but very well situated in the city centre. Breakfast is pretty good and you dont need to get up early to eat because you can have breakfast even at around 11am. Everything was excellent, we were very satisfied with the service.

    « Great location »

Great central location without feeling too touristy or too loud. It's a small hotel and the staff if very personal and friendly. The breakfast was pricey but ok. Once was enough for the breakfast. Easy to grab metro from here.

« Nice small hotel, excellent location »

Nothing to write home about but it's very clean, has good location, rooms look nice, Air conditioning, WiFi in every room. Staff speak English, Small but cozy rooms. Very good sound isolation from the street, not so good isolation from a room next door. Grocery next door. Do not try the bakery up the street - it's horrible.

« Security concerns and did not honor reservation »

Weekend of July 22nd - 24th 2016 was our 5th wedding anniversary. We booked a high floor room with a terrace. The reason we wanted this is because we enjoy bright rooms and outdoor space while on holiday. When I first checked in, I was told my room was not available, to come back after 2 pm. I had no issues with coming back but I had to leave my bag for safe keeping. My bag was left in the lobby lounge area, non secured. When I returned to check in, there was two major problems, first I saw my bag out in the open with other bags. A big security issue from my perspective. The second big issue was the room I booked was given away to a prior guest who decided to extend their stay. I was not told this until my payment was collected. I expressed my disappointment because we were really looking forward to a nice high floor room with a terrace. They said they would upgrade our room but the "superior" room they decided to put us in was on the 1st floor, in the back of the building, facing a back alley overlooking garbage dumpsters from the restaurant next door. There was zero sunlight. The room was small, dark and a smoking room. Since we are both non smokers, our eyes had allergic reactions from the imbedded smoke smells in the carpet and furniture. I asked for a high floor non smoking room and was told non was available and no change in room was possible. We were also awoken in the am around 6.30 am by garbage trucks making metal to metal banging sounds for 15 minutes. What was suppose to be a special weekend in Paris was runined by several inconsiderate decisions to favor another guest despite having a confirmed reservation. While onsite, I asked no less than 4 times to speak to the manager and the day reception person kept saying she would reach out to the manager. No manager even bothered to reach out to us. Finally on the last ask to speak to the manager, the receptionist said, there is nothing else can be done and the manager decides what he wants to do and since he did not call back, that we needed to accept that.We were told the manager was Mr. Amoua. The day reception person and management did not care about registering our complaints. in the end, we receive free breakfast and the worst example of an upgraded room. What they have not grasped was how disappointed we were after months of planning a romantic weekend. Instead the receptionist raise tensions because of her indifference and poor understanding of customer service.

« nice and small hotel on a good location »

Best: the best thing in the hotel is its location. It is very close to metro lines and also it is just a few hundred meters from the Roissy Bus station that comes directly from the airport. Good: the staff is nice, wifi is free, the room is small but cosy, the breakfast room has a nice atmosphere and the breakfast itself is good. Not good: I got a smoking room without asking if I wanted to, there was some sewage smell in the room in the morning, the interior is a mix of stylish and outworn, I had some problem with setting the AC, price is high but it is the same in Paris.

    5
    « Feels like home »

The hotel is not big, but what makes it special is the reception staff, they really care about the needs of the guest. The room is very clean and feels homie, each room has window so you can open it for some fresh air. The bathroom size not to big, but the shower has a good pressure. Great location, just in the middle between two shopping districts in Paris, rue du fauburg and printempts. Good selection of breakfast, but need hot breakfast selection. Next to the hotel has lots of restaurant and convinient store. Very recommended, friendly reception, thoughtfull hotel manager. Will surely come back to stay there!

    « PERFECT FOR US »

This is as nice a 3 star property as one will ever find. I can't imagine why it isn't, at least, a PLUS in the Best Western ratings. We had the large deluxe with terrace and it was spacious with a huge terrace. The bath was a bit small but well laid out. Housekeeping is an A+ as is the friendly service at front desk and breakfast room. The breakfast is quite large with excellent coffee and fresh bake croissants to go with various meats and cheeses, and many other items (all lovingly cared for by a very sweet young lady). We loved the place, and all are right about the wonderful location.

« Nice hotel, excellent location, top floor rooms have perfect terraces »

We stayd in this hotel for 3 nights. We have room on 6th floor with quite large terrace/balcony. There are 3 rooms with balconys. We did not try the berakfast. We heard no noise. Room was not big, but ok. Bathroom is small. Overall we loved the hotel location and large balcony where you can enjoy yyour champage, what you can buy from store 5meters from the hotel :)

« Nice location, Very limited Service »

The location is wonderful here close to a subway station and within walking distance to Galleries Lafayette and the major European chains. We had some problems with our rooms. We booked two rooms for our family of four, and told we would be on separate floors. We asked to be on the same floor, and we were reassigned a room on the 7th floor. The 7th floor rooms have low ceilings and the rooms are tiny compared to a standard room on the 5th floor. The electricity was not working in our room with the room keys given. When we inquired at the front desk about having someone take a look at the problem, we were told it would be an hour before someone could check, but we could move to another room if we wanted. We needed showers before dinner so we opted to go to a room on the 5th floor which ended up being much more space for us. There was no other staff on duty besides the receptionist all day so we did not have any help moving our luggage from room to room. It worked out because the 5th floor room was larger than the 7th floor room. So we are back to being on different floors. Ha! We asked Valeria to make a dinner reservation for us, and she called but the restaurant was closed at the moment. Dead silence. There was no offer to try again later and let us know like we experience in so many other hotels. I have stayed in hotels all across Europe, and we just came from a very friendly Marriott on this holiday so I felt getting information about parking and restaurants was like pulling teeth out of her. Her idea of a nice French restaurant suggestion to us was Hippopotamus (a chain). I did not come to Paris to eat in a chain restaurant. I can only conclude that it was the stereotypical French reservedness and lack of hospitality training. If this was my hotel, she would be working in the back office, not he front desk. Another problem came at check out. I paid extra 10 euros a night per room to have two twin beds per room through Booking.com. Because we moved rooms, and only two rooms with double beds were available, Valeria told it was "impossible" to modify the rate. I felt like cold water was thrown in my face when she said "but you moved 3 times". We only moved from the 7th floor to the 5th floor, but in her reasoning asking to be put together on the same floor counted as a move. I also did not think the electrical issue was our fault, and we were offered to move. We did not ask to be moved. The location is great, and the rooms are updated and modern. Still, there is no way I would ever return here or recommend this based solely on my interactions with Valeria. There are lots of other options in the neighborhood, and you should check them out.

« Great location, not so great noise »

Great central location on a quiet street, however the noise from the hallway and other rooms was ridiculous. Not only was it from other guests moving about, but from the cleaning staff vacuuming, opening and closing cupboards etc. I wore earplugs but even then could still hear noise at times. The rooms are lovely and clean and even though we ventured out quite late in the day, our room had been made up at some point in the afternoon which was unexpected but greatly appreciated. We didn't book breakfast so unfortunately can't comment on that service.

    4
« Very good location, room fine »

I have tried several hotels in central areas of Paris and, whenever I find good rates for this one (the full rate is just too much), it is my favourite choice. The room size is good for the price level / location, the bathroom is fine and the furniture and decoration is better than average. The breakfast room is also very nice, but the breakfast quality and choice of food is less than average. WiFi connection is normally ok (except the breakfast room with no connection at all), but in my room this time (203) the connection was very poor and unstable.

    5
« Great hotel gem amongst many sub-par ones »

We had to move hotels in Paris and booked this last minute. It was really lovely-a real hotel. Our room was at the top of the hotel with a view of the rooftops of the 11th - very light and airy. Very comfortable bed, plus a mini-bar and a small but clean and adequate bathroom. The service was great with us leaving our bags there early (an hour after we had booked the room and hours before we could check in) and when we returned later, they had been put in our room. The staff were very helpful, giving us suggestions for where to eat. I'd recommend it any day. Paris had a lot of sub-par hotel, but this one is great and good value for money as well.

    « Romantic weekend ?? »

From the moment we arrived at this hotel we knew we were going to have a lovely weekend. We stayed in the larger room with a balcony and found it to be comfortable and spotlessly clean. The location is perfect for sightseeing as it is within walkable distance from the Seine and all the fabulous sights of Paris. The staff at the hotel were so helpful and our only regret is we couldn't stay longer! We will be back!

    5
    « Very centrally-located. Nice price »

This is a charming hotel in a very good location (right next to madelaine and hussman blvd). We have hosted in this hotel several times and I think it's a really good option for visiting paris: not expensive (compared to standards in paris) and friendly staff. If you got the chance to get an upgrade in your room, it is really worth it. Maybe regular rooms are small but deluxe rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast buffet is a great option - there's quite variety and at a very good price (13 euros)! - it let's you start the long walking day with plenty of energy :)

« Central and comfy stay, only complain is the room noise from next door »

Stayed 1 night here and it was pleasant and comfy. Big room Deluxe with a small sofa and a large closet. It was on 4th floor looking over Rue de Castellane. Bathroom is rather small and had only a walk-in shower. Flat TV, free wifi, minibar, hairdryer, all you need. Easy access to shops, métro Madeleine or Havre-Caumartin, bars and restaurants as well as tourist spots. Taxi easy to use and plenty of them in Rue Tronchet or Place de la Madeleine. Only complain is the sound from next door made from the neighbour. Room is not so soundproof between next one. Had to complain to the front desk. In the early morning, you could ear the trash truck next to the hotel. Not a very nice wake up call... Breakfast is a good option but at 13 Euros, it's a little on the upper range price. All in all, I might come back next time.

« Only if you want to spend your whole day out of the hotel »

« Excellent hotel in a great location »

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights while visiting Paris. The location was an easy 10 minute walk with rolling luggage from the drop off point for the Roissy Bus from CDG airport. My brother and I arrived before noon and were very happy to find our room was ready. The clerk was nice and offered us an optional breakfast package for an additional 13 euros per person, which we declined since we aren't big breakfast eaters. The elevator was a nice touch and was the perfect size to fit 2 adults with one rolling carry on size bag each. I found our twin bed room to be clean, cozy, and comfortable. The bathroom was very modern and the shower stall had American style glass doors that closed fully with complimentary soap, shampoo, and shower gel provided. The wifi also worked perfectly. My brother and I walked from the hotel to Jardin des Tuileries and the Louvre in about 20 minutes. From there, we walked to Champs Elysees and the Arc de Triomphe and onwards to the Eiffel Tower. The walk from the Eiffel Tower back to the hotel took about 35 minutes for us. We also found it very easy to go to Versailles from the hotel location. You go to the metro at Madelaine ( 5 mins from hotel) and take the metro to Invalides metro station and from Invalides station, change to RER C train towards Versailles Rive Gauche. The major Parisian department stores are 5 minutes walk from the hotel and there are lots of great shops along Rue Tronchet to explore as well. Although we had to check out at noon on our last day, we had a very late flight from Charles De Gaulle. Valeria at the front desk was very kind and allowed us to leave our bags at the hotel in their baggage room. This gave us an additional 9 hours to visit a few museums before taking the Roissy bus to CDG airport. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return when visiting Paris again.

    « Excellent hotel »

Rooms were very clean as was bath room. Bed was really comfortable Room was not the biggest but you dont really want to spend much time here anyway Only criticism is the fan to the bathroom would not stop. Shutting the door solved that but would of been a 5 if the little details had been addressed Good price too

« Not very suitable for a family with a baby! »

Disappointed! We chose this hotel for the location (mainly), other reviews, and provided pictures ! But our travel agent just noticed us that the hotel won't take a reservation for guests with a baby! Other than that the hotel looks great!

« A little gem in the heart of Madeline! »

This was our 2nd time staying at Folkestone Opera for 5 nights and it is fast becoming 1 of our favorite hotels in Paris! We had arrived early in Paris and the hotel allowed us to check-in to our room (503) earlier. In addition, the hotel kindly put us in a bigger double room, even though I had booked a standard double. We had a special requirement as my wife was pumping expressed human milk and we needed access to a freezer (which we had communicated earlier during reservation) for storage and the reception staff had made arrangements to make available the hotel's kitchen freezer for our use. Location of the hotel is fantastic, right in the heart of central Paris, and just steps away from the Madeline metro station with many restaurants, bistros and sundry shops in the vicinity. Room & bathroom was clean and modern, with a good hot shower and comfortable bedding. Strong wifi throughout the hotel and there is a PC & small bar located at the hotel lobby. Breakfast is now chargeable (13 euros per pax) when it used to be included in the rate during our 1st stay there. However, with 2 wonderful bakeries in the area, there are other breakfast options should you choose to skip the hotel breakfast. Overall, cant find a negative thing to say about our stay and we are grateful to the hotel for accommodating our requests. Special mention & thanks to reception staff Valeria, Myriam and Dippy for always being so helpful. We will definitely return to stay again.

« Fabulous choice for the single traveler! »

During the midst of a long trip to Europe, my plans changed and I needed a hotel for a few nights in Paris. I had a lot of BW points, but not a lot of time to research my options among the many BW hotels in Paris. I feel incredibly lucky that I found the BW Hotel Folkestone Opera. I ended up with one of the tiniest rooms on the top floor, but it felt like a little jewel box! Such creative use of space! I'm told that my room is the only one with a partial view of the Eiffel Tower (701 or 702). It would be tight for more than one person, but worked perfectly for me. Having just left a sweltering Prague, the strong A/C was particularly welcome. Loved the breakfast and its setting. And as others have said, the location is just incredible!

    « Excellent Hotel »

My wife and I booked this hotel for a surprise birthday trip to Paris for her parents. They have asked us to leave a review on their behalf and we also feel the hotel staff deserve a special mention with all their assistance in making their stay so memorable and also helping us to surprise them further by turning up in Paris with gifts and champagne. The staff could not have been any nicer and nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel itself is in a great location, on a quiet street, one block behind La Madeleine and is a great option for shopping, Christmas markets etc. The room we booked was on the 6th floor and while typically quite small, it was clean, cosy and well appointed with a really homely feel, the major bonus with this room (605) is the big roof terrace with ample room for a table and chairs and if it wasn't December I'm sure it would have been better used!. Overall this is a lovely hotel to suit most people's budget and although we, personally did not stay, we would have no hesitation in staying here on one of our future Paris trips. My wife's mum and dad had such a good time here and would also definitely return. Great location, great hotel and lovely staff. Thank you Folkestone.

« Gorgeous pensione in the heart of Paris »

We stayed 5 nights in Paris on a very special trip abroad and were delighted to spend them at this lovely establishment. Our little room had double doors to the balcony and we spent our rare free time enjoying the view of the street. The room was beautifully appointed and pointlessly clean, with a large, comfortable bed, and the reception and house staff were unfailingly polite, friendly and helpful. The daily free breakfast was lovely, and they were happy for us to make some ham and cheese baguettes and take some fruit from the buffet with us on our daily trips. We came to think of our room as our little home away from home, and have said we will return to Folkestone when we are once again in Paris. Merci beaucoup! :)

    « A very pleasant stay »

This hotel is located in a small street in central Paris, close to most attractions and shopping places. The staff are very friendly and helpful with fluent English. The room is small as expected in a city like Paris but very clean. The bath room is very good especially. I only think that the breakfast should be improved a little bit with more hot foods for a price of EUR13. Not many people staying eat there for a reason. There are some good cafes and Asian restaurants next to the hotel with better food and less price.

    5
« Great staff, location, and the perfect spot »

The staff members Miriam and Damien are outstanding! Thank you so much for making our stay enjoyable and comfortable....perfect location too. Breakfast was good with a wide variety to choose from. We just walked to all the attractions.

    4
    « Very Comfortable »

We stayed in a regular hotel room. My first time in Paris. Room was cozy and had everything we needed. The hotel was close to a lot of restaurants and shops. The Metro was super close. Loved Paris! Make sure you visit the chocolate shops!

    « Perfect spot »

Good value central Paris hotel. Small but comfortable room, well furnished. Clean, quality decoration.Attentive staff, considerate and helpful and equally comfortable in English and French. Good breakfast downstairs. Really good value and close to Metro.

    5
« Great service in all levels »

Great hotel, reasonably priced close to Opera. Only 10min walking to "Roissybus" stop which will get you non-stop from/to CDG airport (aprox. 45min with minor traffic) and to RER A station "Auber" for trains to Disneyland (aprox. 45min). Both cleaning service and breakfast were very good. The WiFi worked alsmost flawless. The personal were really kind and managed to meet our request regarding rooms booking. I would definately choose the same hotel during my next visit to Paris.

    5
    « A fabulous stay »

Great location. Close to Metro, restaurants and shops. Patisserie across the road and a mini supermarket next door. Reception staff went above and beyond my expectations particularly Cyrielle. Cleaning staff and breakfast girls were also polite and helpful. Double Deluxe room spacious particularly for Paris standards. Couldn't fault our stay. We loved it!

    5
« Very nice, quaint, quiet hotel with wonderful and helpful staff. »

This is a small but excellent hotel. The staff, Myriam, Cyrielle, Damien and Lamine were so helpful. Their service is beyond great, as they made our week long stay extremely enjoyable. The cleaning staff and the wait staff (for the restaurant) were also excellent. Their efforts were also appreciated by us during our stay. The location is outstanding. Several convenient restaurants and shopping within short distance. Convenient access to the Metro Subway system.

« Great Location! Wonderful Staff! Clean and Comfy! »

My husband and I loved our stay here. The front desk staff was very helpful with directions and suggestions on how to get around and what to see. There is a great cafe across the street called La Castellane where you can grab breakfast before you head out on your day. There is a little store right next to hotel where you can grab wine, fruit, snacks and any little items you may have forgotten. The hairdryer in the hotel looked to have a converter on it so you could plug in Canadian hair appliances but I did not try it out as I did not expect this. Marriage Freres, Fauchon, Maille, Galleries Lafayette and many more great shops are just a quick walk away. For a great view of the city go to the top of the Galleries Lafayette ~ you will not be disappointed!! Thank-you Best Western Hotel Folkestone Opera, we loved our stay!!

« Nice clean great location »

I would stay there again nice and clean. Very small not used to this small rooms and small elevators not used to that coming from USA. Not a bad hotel for the money close to a lot is things you can always take the metro best way to go everywhere without traffic

« Nice hotel but be careful about extra charges »

I booked the hotel throw their website and paid for it in advance, stayed in this hotel for 7 days, really nice and clean.Location was good and close to train station, but not the most touristic area. They said what time we can have breakfast in the morning when we checked in and they DIDNOT mention that breakfast is not included, so when we wanted to check out,we had to pay around 200 usd for breakfast for two.It was not cheap but breakfast was okay.but I still felt tricked because they must have said when we checked in,as we believed it is included.

« Wonderful little spot in a great location! Great price! »

We really enjoyed our stay to the BW Folkestone Opera! We traveled to Paris on August 15th to the 23rd, 2015. The location of the hotel was excellent. We were able to take the Roissy Bus (11 euro) from Charles De Gaulle airport to the Opera and then walk (albeit slowly) with our bags to the hotel. (I wouldn't recommend for those with a lot of baggage) but it did work for us. The hotel is located in the Opera district (I know, duh!) but since I never visited Paris, I didn't know that meant that we were within walking distance to places like The Louvre, Printemps Department Store, Fauchon, the famous shops on Rue de Honore! There were also two metro stations nearby to assist in traveling throughout the city. Our room was comfortable. Understanding most rooms are small in Paris, we were happy to be able to move around fairly easily. The room and the bathroom were both updated and stylish. Our windows looked out to the street and we could open them to smell the flowers planted in the planter outside our window. There were a few outlets to power our electronics which was also a plus. The service at the hotel was excellent. From our front desk experience to the cleaning service, the staff was extremely helpful. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel!

    4
    « Good central hotel »

We booked this hotel on a special offer, on very short notice. The hotel has a very good, central location. We had the Deluxe room, which has a nice nice (and is a bit more expensive). The hotel was quiet, the rooms are clean (except for some stains on the sofa). The breakfast is ok, but not really worth the money (as in 90% of all hotels). This is the very first Best Western hotel in the last 20 years that's ok. We will probably return.

    « Don't believe the ads »

It is a nice hotel on a dirty street. Well located off the main drag. But it does NOT come with a free breakfast. Had an additional charge on my bill that was unanticipated. Certainly not a fair price for the relatively pathetic spread provided in the dungeon basement

    « Good Location »

An excellent hotel right in the heart of Paris and very reasonably priced. For a hotel in this location the rooms were a decent size and very comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very handy for the Metro. Would definitely return and use this as a base to explore Paris from.

    3
« Nice small hotel in a somehow dirty street »

Small, high price hotel in a good location to the site seeing spots. Nonetheless the street makes a dirty impression with lots of rubbish on it. The room was quite dark since directed to the yard. Rooms to the street are much brighter.

« Amazing stay in Paris at this hotel! »

Clean rooms, perfect location and friendly staff - This is your ultimate place to stay if you are in Paris for few days and want to walk (5-7 minutes) to the Seine river OR to nearby designer boutiques. Price: The price is really good if compared to other European destinations. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel - especially to that crowd who prefers to walk around the city and still want to stay at a safe - friendly location. Location: Perfect location - you couldn't ask for more! It is between 2 different metro stops; situated just in the middle of the shopping neighbourhood and less than 3 minutes walking distance to the Famous Galeries Lafayette Haussmann. Lastly - there is a small tiny supermarket shop next to hotel which is open from 8am until midnight so you can buy your basic items from there (water / wine etc) Rooms: The rooms on the 6th floor are a bit small. The room is good for a couple or for someone travelling alone. It may not be convenient for tall people as the height of the beds are a bit small - But you can always ask the hotel in advance and having a friendly staff, I am sure they can help you. Each room have its own air-conditioner which you can control according to your needs. The rooms are super clean and the windows / walls are sound-proofed. Staff: They are very friendly and can guide you with most of your questions - I arrived the hotel 30 minutes early than the normal check-in time and they allowed me to check-in. They also give you a free city map at the time of check-in which is extensive and covers the whole city.

« Excellent Stay in the center of Paris »

The hotel was nice and quaint. It is very centrally located - in close proximity to the Madeleine station, which gives easy access to all of the major sites. You can easily walk to the Louvre, the River Seine, or the shops on Rue St. Honore. It is only a small hike to the Champs Elysees. In this location, I walked most of the time to my destinations. There was no need for a cab. The rooms are very clean and up-to-date. The air conditioning was amazing. An added plus was the automatic shade that you can bring down at night so that your sleep is not interrupted by the sun at 8AM. :-)

« Great place to stay in terrific location »

Friendly and helpful staff, clean, light rooms and brilliant location make this a really excellent place to stay! I booked in for 3 nights and then booked in for another night on my way home later after I went away for a short time, because it was so good! The Madelleine Church is just near by as is the bus and train stops.

« Great place to stay--Convenient to all »

I recently booked a last minute trip to Paris and found this hotel after extensive research. I was not disappointed! The room was comfortable for European standards. Our room was always left clean and smelling fresh, and the workers were extremely kind. The location is perfect. Not too far from the Metro and bus lines. Most attractions are walking distance...but make sure to have comfortable walking shoes. As far as the front desk, the staff was superb. They were always friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Did everything with a smile. ...And one last thing...for a good meal, visit Pompei Restaurant down the street and the bakery right across from it. Delicious food!! p.s. The chocolate beignets at Pauls around the corner are to die for! Happy Travels! :)

    « Great location & good value »

Excellent location for access to all parts of the city either by foot or public transportation. We had a "deluxe" size room and it was a good sized room with plenty of space. The room decor and facilities were very good with very good quality accoutrements. However, the room's carpeting needed to be cleaned and the hotel was informed. Excellent value with breakfast included. Have stayed here twice and would do so again.

    « Great stay »

The hotel was very clean and beautifully decorated. The room was cozy but with enough space for my husband and me to move around and leave our suitcase open, and have plenty of closet and storage area. The breakfast was very good to help us start the day. The location was great, close to all the main attractions. It is also very close to the metro and the bus that takes you to the airport. We took the hop on-hop off bus open bus, which is great to see the city. The start of this bus was also very close to the hotel, which came in handy since we were in Paris for a short time.

« Rude Receptionist, misleading website »

We made a mistake by booking a room for 2 adults when we had along with us a 3 year old who sleeps with us on the bed. The website only gave the option of 2 or 3 adults so we picked 2. When we got to the hotel, the receptionist (Laetitia) told us very rudely that the three of us cannot stay in the room together. Further she told us that "we should check carefully what we book". She said that all the rooms in the hotel are for only two people and that our 3 year old boy is "not a baby, he is an adult". When I tried to tell her that I made an honest mistake and want her to help, she was again very rude and said that the only thing she could do was to book an extra room for me to stay at Euro 255 more, or I could cancel the booking and lose 50% of the charges. She said that there are no rooms at their sister hotel and she cannot see any other rooms since it was very close to the new year. After some discussions, we decided to keep the room in Best Western and that I would find another room in another hotel. When we told the receptionist, she made a very rude expression and told me that I cannot stay in the hotel beyond 6 pm or 7 pm. I managed to find a room in a hotel and stayed away from my family for two nights. When I came to the hotel in the morning (since my wife had a meeting at 8:30 AM), I was let inside by another receptionist. I explained that my wife and son were staying in the hotel and I was going to see them. He let me in and also let me use the computer in the lobby. A little while later I saw Laetitia come into the hotel and exchange shifts with the receptionist. He immediately told her in French "No, he did not sleep in the hotel". I understood this since I understand some French. I felt really bad and it was clear that Laetitia was looking at us as though we were criminals. On a good note, the receptionist when we were leaving (Myriam) was wonderfully nice and warm. She helpd us with our luggage and also spoke to us pleasantly and played with our son. The good points of the hotel: - Great location, very nice entrance and reception - Reasonable price - High level of cleanliness everywhere Bad points: - Small rooms and narrow stairways - Mediocore breakfast - Misleading website

Very nice hotel on the excellent location with good breakfast, for people who do not need lot of space in the room because the rooms are as per French standard - nice clean and tiny - cozy beautiful big window with nice flowers, staff is knowledgeable and helpful always with smile. Me and my wife stayed four nights, room was always cleaned and tightened up, towels have been changed as per our request and toiletries replenished.

If you are staying on the right bank and what a wonderful quaint property that does not break the bank, stay here. The rooms are small but space is maximized. The staff are wonderful and extremely accommodating. The cellar continental breakfast was wonderful. I only wish you could clone yourself so you would also be on the left bank too.
