    « location »

Great location for visiting central Paris, Notre Dame, Louve, Jardin du Luxembourg and more in walking distance, and if you don't want to walk Metro St Michel and Luxembourg close by. Think this is more of a 3 star hotel, but it was clean and comfortable. Didn't eat there so cannot comment on the food, breakfast during my stay was 16 euros so I bought croissants to eat in the morning which only cost me 2.

« Lovely stay and very central »

Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone the staff are friendly and will help if you need to get somewhere and are needing help with directions. Very central and in a clean part of Paris. Lots of different food places nearby.

« Small Hotel at Good Location »

The Hotel is near two Metro stations, Luxembourg and St Michel. The hotel is about 10-15 minutes walk to Notre Dame and 5 minutes walk to Luxembourg park, which is very beautiful. The surrounding area of the hotel is beautiful with many coffee shops, restaurants and shops. The hotel is in a nice building facing another house, there is no view, just streets. We stayed on the 4th floor facing the courtyard which is bit depressing over looking huge aircon systems. The check in of the hotel is easy and friendly, the hotel lobby is small, the whole hotel is very red and quite dark. The room is very small but I guess that's normal in paris. The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom is actually of a reasonable size with a bath. I booked this hotel mainly for the location and it is definitely a good basecamp location to explore paris.

    « Beautiful and Chic! »

I fell in love with Paris! This hotel is beautiful! A boutique hotel in a great area. The staff were so friendly and helpful. It was really quiet in January so the restaurant for breakfast was quick and simple. The lift was tiny so had to make a couple of trips with luggage and pushchair and the room was fairly small but we didn't spend a lot of time in it so no complaints! The subway is close by and loads of lovely shops and bars as well! Highly recommend for couples or families wanting to see the sights of Paris!

« Only the lobby is nice! »

Very disappointed... It is definitely a 3-star hotel. The rooms are incredibly worn and dated (like they are 10 years old) with a musty odor (we kept the window open permanently). Even the towels and the carpet are worn out... It's almost as if they went to a garage sale, bought some pieces and furnished the rooms. The bathroom.. I have NEVER seen one so small (5ft x 3ft) The location is excellent as well as their internet service and breakfast buffet... I went by Hotel Baume (next to O'deon Theatre) and Grand Hotel Saint Michel and asked to see the rooms. Incredibly impressed. We will be staying there next time.

« three star hotel for four star price »

I really don't understand how this hotel has a four star rating. I've traveled to France many times and this hotel really shouldn't merit more than three stars. The rooms are very small and dark. When it is dark outside, I couldn't even see inside of my suitcase clearly as even with all the lights on it's still dark in the room. The bathroom is uber small with no space for toiletries, etc. On the day I checked in, I even saw some dried up pee on the floor in bathroom, so evidently it had not been mopped after the last goes stayed there. The shower didn't drain properly either. The location is excellent, but there must be better options in the area.

« Charming and well located »

At the outset, I should mention that we have stayed at this hotel 20 nights altogether, 8 nights on this trip, and my companion has done so five other nights -- we like the service, the location, the generous breakfasts, the firm beds and the room rates, all despite the rather small rooms and the small elevator in the west wing -- closest to the Eiffel Tower. But, a few negatives prevent us from awarding a fifth star: -- Room service is from an unnamed restaurant; we had the worst meal ever in Paris one night on this trip -- a strong Syrian influence and for 75 Euros for two salads and a few pieces of chicken. -- Despite the sign outside, there is no bar although some drinks and ice are available from the desk clerk. -- Like many European hotels, there are no safety bars in the tub, the floors are slippery, and the sides of the tub are 24 inches high. The only support when exiting the tub from either a bath or a shower is to hold onto the sink and move with great care. Again, take these as cautions; we will undoubtedly return as guests.

    « Excellent location »

Excellent location for a first time visitor. Walking distance to the cathedral. $7 to 10 uber ride to eifle tower or louve. Lots of local shops and plenty of food options within a few blocks. Reccomend to everyone

« Friendly & helpful staff. Breakfast okay, not great. »

Hotel very nice & clean, rooms were a good size and the decor was excellent. The bathroom, while quite small was the cleanest I have every experienced. I genuinely thought I was the first to ever use it! There is only one lift which takes 4/5 at a push so if you're on the upper levels, it can be a bit of a pain waiting for it to become free. The breakfast was okay but not great as they often ran out of some foods with quite a wait for fresh to be served (by which point other items were running out). Very helpful staff though, excellent quality beds, great nights sleep and I'd happily visit again.

    « Romantic Escape »

We had an amazing time at Trianon Rive Gauche. The superior room with the balcony is the best choice when booking. When I wasn't covering shows for fashion week, I was on the balcony editing photos. It was also great for having a a drink and taking in the marvelous city. The deep red decor added a warm vibe and is great for couples. I would highly recommend Trianon Rive Gauche to anyone interested in a romantic room coupled with excellent service and a great location.

« You Don't Have to Look Any Further... »

We just got back from a wonderful trip to Paris from 9/20-9/26/ was our second time to visit the city...the first time several years ago we stayed near the Eiffel Tower in a hotel called Hotel Splendid. We realized that most of the activity happens on the Left Bank so we started looking for a hotel on the 6th and 7th arrondissement..Best Western Trianon Rive Gauche has an excellent location, it sits on a quiet, not so busy street near Sorbonne... it is a direct one train ride on the RER from CDG airport and back....close to several metro stations, a 10 minute walk to Notre Dame/Saint Michel, very close proximity to the Luxembourg Gardens where you can go for a run in the mornings...(tip for runners: 3 loops on its perimeter are roughly equal to 4.5 miles and a Nike store is literally at your doorstep) The rooms are pretty decent sized for European standards, elevator can accommodate up to 4 persons ...The standard package we got included a daily buffet breakfast...we had mentioned in the email that we were celebrating our 20th year wedding anniversary and when we arrived they had upgraded us to a superior room with a balcony on the 6th floor (7th as the first floor is called floor 0) and they had a surprise gift for us a few minutes into our arrival...a bottle of champagne on ice with French macarons...The front desk staff were very helpful and accommodating...the breakfast staff Najet, Barbara, Vanusha, Sila...and a few others we forgot their names were excellent...The night shift front desk Stephan prepared a breakfast to go package for us as we had to leave very early in the morning one day...Everything was wonderful about this hotel...and that is why you don't have to look any further...

    « Go Elsewhere »

If you like tiny dark rooms, with even tinier bathrooms, this is the place for you. Although the hotel is located in a great part of Paris, there are many other better options from which to choose. Our hotel was DARK -- 3 walls were black, and the other was dark red. There were 2 photos of Paris on the walls, but even they were night shots. The lighting was dim -- the overall room was just depressing. We faced the center of the building well so, while it meant the room was very quiet, also meant no view and not much ambient light. The shower had great water pressure, but the water goes all over because the tub is narrow and the shower wall is tiny. They do have several English TV channels, though. We left a washcloth on the floor to launder -- came back to find they picked it up and put it over the tub to dry -- no replacement. Did not appreciate that they wanted us to use this after it came off a hotel bathroom floor -- pretty gross. This was advertised as a 4 star hotel -- not so much. Anyway, will not return.

« Great location friendly hotel staff »

I have stayed at the BEST WESTERN Trianon Rive Gauche Hotel twice over the last two years. The hotel is located in a great area of Paris close to the Luxembourg Gardens. The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. The rooms are a bit small, but it's also Paris. I would stay there again and would recommend.

    « Room with a view! »

A really well located hotel, just a stone throw away from Luxembourg gardens and an easy walk into central Paris.rooms (deluxe) were more than adequate by Paris standards. We loved the balcony on which we ate our excellent continental breakfast each morning. Rooms on the top floors have great views over the rooftops and a view of the Eiffel tower. Staff were friendly and helpful. the rooms might lack traditional Parisian charm, but are modern, and clean, we could not fault them; bathrooms large by Paris standards. Excellent value for money.

« Lovely hotel near the Luxembourg Gardens »

We had a lovely stay at the Trianon Rive Gauche. We stayed in a room with a balcony which was so nice to sit on in the evening before we went out or when we came back. The breakfast room and lobby are really beautiful with a black and red theme, they seemed very 'Parisian' indeed! The breakfast was delicious and the best out of the hotels we have stayed in, in Paris. There was much more selection than other hotels and the food was great. The staff seemed very nice and polite, however we didn't see them very often so perhaps I can't comment on that as well. The location is great to explore the Luxembourg Gardens and Notre Dame which are both just a short walk away. The room was nice and the bed very comfortable, the pillows come in different sizes so there is something for everyone depending on your preference. The bathroom was clean and a good size for Paris. I didn't end up using the shower as I'd sprained my ankle and didn't want to slip over and hurt myself more however was told it worked fine and was plenty big enough. We found the hotel nice and peaceful when we travelled in August, no noise from other guests or cleaners disturbed us at all. Overall a really nice hotel especially if you are a breakfast lover and want to have a balcony room in Paris without spending an arm and a leg as the hotel is reasonably priced.

    « Mr »

Friendly is friendly, breakfast is very good specially they have fresh orange juice machine. They gave late checkout offer. Room is small but beautiful. They dont have a parking but you can park on the street.

« Cutest hotel in the most awesome part of Paris! »

We've had a lovely stay at the Trianon Rive Gauche! Located in Saint Germain, one of the most beautiful areas of Paris. We had a nice and cozy room looking over the rooftops of Paris. It's close to public transport and also walking distance from the Seine, Luxembourg Park and the Notre Dame. Staff was really friendly and really helpful. All by all a great hotel, we definitely recommend this hotel!

« Lovely room but rude staff »

This hotel is nice and close to the Luxembourg gardens. A quaint hotel with comfortable beds. The rooms are a good size for Paris. There is a girl at the front desk named Yasmine or Yasmina who is a complete nightmare. When we came to check in, she was sitting on a tall chair and was absorbed at the work computer. She gave us short, rude answers to our questions about local attractions when we inquired about the "skip the line" options that they advertised at the front desk. I tried to speak French to her and you could tell she was not even interested in speaking to a non fluent speaker. Very upsetting experience. I also witnessed how she helped the next couple in line. This hotel has check in snacks and drinks. They asked her if there would be more orange juice put out and her response was "what do you think?! If it's empty then you are out of luck". I am not a hard traveller to please by any means and my husband has literally spent thousands of dollars using BW hotels in Canada. This was a very unpleasant way to start our stay and I hope management speaks to her.

« Loves this place. Close to everything!!! Staff was fantastic. »

Fantastic. Close to everything. Staff was fantastic. Landed at 6:30am and they gave us an early check in at 8:am. (requested and early check in a couple days in advance via e-mail) but never thought they would immediately give us a room. We were so happy, cause we were so tired from the flight. Communication via e-mail was superb! So if you have any questions before check in while state side? shoot them an e-mail. It is Paris, so you will not have large rooms. large elevators and the word large in your vocabulary. That being said- what a wonderful Parisian Hotel. We overlooked the courtyard, very typical Parisian feel. Breakfust is plentyful but a bit pricy. Just go around the corner and grab something- restaraunt , a bagel shop and other great eateries are everywhere around this hotel. Our beds were so comfy!

« Perfect Stay for a few days in Paris »

I wasn't sure what to expect reading some of the reviews but I took a chance and I'm glad I did. I was traveling solo after a week in Germany on business. I poured thru reviews here and finally settled on this hotel taking price and location into consideration. I had booked a single room. To my surprise I received a Classic room at no extra charge. But the best part, in addition to having a larger room, bed and bathroom with a tub was the view out of the room overlooking your classic Parisian rooftops with the Eiffel Tower and Invalides just beyond! (see pics). What a awesome way to start your morning and end your day looking out your French windows to that view. That room number is room 544! Beyond that the hotel was very nice. I didn't try the breakfast since I'm not a big breakfast person and I thought 16euro was a bit much. Oh and as you'll find in the most older European hotels, the elevator is tiny. Me and my suitcase and that's it. The location is great and right in the middle of the Latin Quarter with tons of restaurants near by and the metro very close as well. I'll stay here again next time in Paris and ask for the exact same room!

« Nice hotel in a great location & friendly staff. »

I stayed at the Best Western Trianon Rive Gauche for one night with my sister-in-law and her two teenage daughters. It is often difficult to find a space for 4 adults, but this hotel had absolutely no issues accommodating our bigger group. We had two adjoining rooms - one with a queen size bed, the other with 2 single beds. The rooms were very clean, had comfy beds and pillows. Surprisingly, there was quite a bit of space in the rooms which is also another challenge in Paris (with most 'reasonably priced' hotels having only closet sized rooms!). The hotel is in a fantastic location near the metro and the RER which can get you straight out to the Gare Nord (train station) or Charles De Gaulle. The hotel is situated in the Latin Quarter and near all the action packed small alley/streets that have loads of restaurants, bakeries, souvenir shops, etc. When we booked our hotel I had made the reservation under my name but paid with my sister-in-law's credit card. The hotel contacted me within minutes after making the reservation to ask for additional information to ensure that the credit card was not stolen. I thought this was very diligent of them. Charles, who I communicated with by email, also greeted us upon arrival at the reception at the hotel. Charles was really friendly, provided us a map of Paris and gave us all the info we needed re: sight seeing and pointers for taking the metro. Very helpful! I recommend this hotel for anyone who is traveling alone, in a group, and even families. Two thumbs up from our group!

« Nice hotel, read the small print though »

+ Great, friendly location with easy access to Metro and shops + Lovely building + Helpful staff - No free parking as suggested on their site, only parking is a public car park which cost us over €60 for 2 days - Breakfast was not included in the price as was suggested at check in, €32 a day for 2 people is a rip off - Price was hiked up during the Euro's - Room view was of air conditioning vents

    « Small »

It is in a great location near all restaurants and bars full of young people, the place is secure even at night , the room is very small if you travel with more than two bags you don't have place for luggage so you can't move inside the room, the bathroom is small and the shower doesn't have curtains so every time you take a shower you wet all the bathroom

« Pefect location and great transport links! »

We didn't spend too long at the hotel as we were mostly out. I booked a standard twin room and the beds were very comfortable. Slept fine on both nights. The room was fairly small but had all the requirements for a short stay. The room even had a small balcony and there was a half view of the Eiffel Tower. Tiny bathroom but they've managed to fit in a full tub and the shower was fine with no pressure issues. It's like a townhouse style hotel with a tiny lift (you can only get 2 people in there), but we always used the stairs. The real appeal of this hotel is its location. You are in the latin quarter. It's a straight 5 minute walk down the main road to Boulevard Saint-Germain, where there are lots of shops. A further 5 mins walk straight down puts you by the river and at Rue de la Huchette (where there are some bars). Notre Dam is straight over the river and you can petty much walk wherever you want. Take the metro to Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe as they are quite a distance, although we did walk it from the Eiffel Tower which took about 45 mins. From the airport it's a straight 45 minute train for €10 one way to Luxembourg station (uber was estimating €35 for a 2 person cab). The hotel is about 5-7 minute walk from the station. On the same route is Stade de France. I was there for the Euros QF game and from Luxembourg station it was 20 minutes to Stade de France. Hence, if you are in Paris for an event at the stadium this hotel is ideal. What little interaction I had with the staff I found them to be polite and helpful. I'm not sure if it's four star but it will definitely not be less than three star. Either way, when I next return to Paris I will definitely consider staying here again. Just a tip, (because of voting to leave... so frustrating!) exchange all your Euros in the UK. The rate had fallen to 1.18 when I exchanged but for my friend who decided to do it in Paris they are not even giving you 1:1. The best we could find was 0.94 without commission.

« Excellent hotel, very clean, friendly staff :-) »

Stayed 2 nights at this modern, friendly hotel. Staff spoke excellent English. Decor up-to-date. Room kept clean throughout the day. Free wifi. Local square with cafes and fountain made for a great start to the day.

« Charming little hotel in historic Paris »

Very nice hotel in historic Paris. 15 minute walk to Seine River and historic Notre Dame Cathedral. Close to bus and hop on hop off bus (highly recommended ). Hotel was very clean. Elegant and clean room, to bad it was so tiny. Bathroom was spotless but unusally small. No shower curtain so water went over some of tile flooring. I guess this is usual for small rooms. I think this room was small even for European standards. Staff were excellent, very helpful. They pointed us to right directions and helped booked shuttle back to airport. Breakfast was not included in our package but found excellent restaurant just around the corner. Really like the location of this hotel. Lots of evening action close by.

    « Great Paris stay »

Lovely hotel situated about a ten minute stroll from the odeon metro, in a very nice area with a good feeling of safety. Rooms were average sized for Paris with a very nice sized bathroom, breakfast was served in a lovely dining room and had lots of choice - cereal. Fruit, pastries, cooked fayre, cold meats, cheeses, yoghurt, quirky squeeze your own orange machine and a selection of teas and coffee. There seemed to be two parts of the hotel a density populated part then a separate wing where we were located, our room had French doors which could be opened, air con was welcomed as it was really warm during our visit, the bed was very comfortable and had a memory foam topper, the linen was crisp and clean, toiletries were provided as were robes and slippers. Also provided was a safe, free wifi, tea and coffee, you would need your own hair drier as the one provided was not up to much, flat screen tv with limited uk coverage (not an issue to us). Reception staff were helpful and gave us great information for dining out - fabulous suggestions. The hotel was literally 5 mins from jardin du Luxembourg and the new Angelinas - divine cakes and worth a visit. Lots of shops, bars, restaurants in a lovely area, definitely recommended for a lovely stay. We laughed lots at the triangular lift it really is the smallest we had ever seen . That said it did the job and saved our legs at the end of a long day sightseeing !

    « Tiny rooms, really bad a/c »

The superior room (supposedly larger) is tiny even by Paris standards. The rooms and corridors are dark, dingy and frankly a little creepy. The elevator fits two people only, no luggage. The stairs are spiraled and steep making it difficult to navigate bags. Rooms are air conditioned, but are far from cool. We had to open the windows and still roasted. I am extremely dissatisfied.

« Poor Customer Service and Small Rooms »

The hotel is in a great location however their rooms are very small. Smaller than normal and when I went to get something that fell on the floor under the bed I noticed rat traps. Also, we had the worse customer service I have experienced in a hotel ever. We needed to check out early and I gave enough notice and asked the front desk person 3 times to make sure the understood me and they said they did. They even verified it with the manager that we could check out early-when we went to check out early they claimed I did not ask to check out early and charged us for the night. They argued with us and said they have to abide by their policies. Extremely poor customer service.

    « Never coming back »

Company booked this hotel for my colleagues and I because of the "good rate" however, you really get what you pay for. Rooms were too dark and small. I requested to be transferred because the first room smelled like skunk. The heater was either too hot or it will not work. I had to open the window because I kept on waking up in the middle of the night sweating. Bed was hard and uncomfortable, pillows were cheap (are they even real pillows?) and I will not even dare to use their toiletries. It feels like staying in a motel and I was there for 5 nights which was a torture! But what do you expect from a Best Western hotel? Not much, really. Do yourself a favor and find another decent hotel. You will thank me!

« Great location in Latin Quarter, older hotel with some peculiarities »

--The good: The location is wonderful if you like to spend time in the Latin Quarter, which I do. Great restaurants in the area, close to Notre Dame Cathedral, plenty of RER Metro stops in case you don't want to walk or would like to get over to the Eiffel Tower or Champs Elysee. I am on my first around-the-globe trip which means I've been on the road for while, so the laundromat right on the next block also gave me the opportunity to run a load of laundry for 6 Euros, rather than the ridiculous fee a hotel would charge. --The bad: I had a room on the top floor which actually gave me a rooftop view of Paris. Unfortunately it was like being in an attic - the sloped roof took up half of the small room. It was difficult to navigate around the very hard bed to get to the wardrobe and I had to stand on a chair to use the safe. It was also extremely hot, even with the air conditioner running all of the time. The windows did open, but with no screens there were issues with mosquitos and birds flying in. I didn't change my room because I didn't spend much time in it.

« Good location but that's about where it ends »

Booked in for a week during Euro 2016 Extortionate prices De luxe room was shocking Nothing de luxe about it at all I would hate to see a normal room !!!! We could hardly get in the bathroom It was difficult to shower without flooding the room or bruising my arms due to it being so small. The bath was also so small you couldn't have a relaxing bath as you were crunched up. Rooms smelt of smoke We're very tired and needed a re furb. Breakfast was ok ish same every, nothing new or no change at all and the staff sat watching waiting to clear up after you, also the breakfast room was very hot with no air con. Not a great start to the day. Air con was good. Overall quite a painful stay we just sleep there Would not return under Pain of death.

    « Comfortable »

We stayed here for four nights while visiting Paris. The location is very good close to many attractions of the city, within walking distance if you are a walker. If not it is close to an underground station. The rooms nice and well kept but smaller even by European standards. Staff are all excellent and fluent in English and very helpful. Their breakfast if you take it is extremely well done. Would recommend!

« Nice little hotel close to Sorbanne »

This litle 4-star hotel is perfectly located close to Sorbonne and Park Luxenbourg. Th hotel offers small but nice and clean rooms in a quiet street. Breakfast is good and the hotel also have a free wifi service. The Latin quarter is near by and just a short walk down to Boulevard San Charmain.

« My favourite hotel in Paris »

Located downtown between Sorbonne, Luxembourg gardens and st.Michel, in a quiet street, but just arround the corner for sights, shops, parking lots, public transportation(several metro stations in vicinity) it is perfect residence and starting point for exploring the city, as numerous city sights are really within walking distance. Cosy, neat, clean, good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. My favourite hotel in Paris.

« The romantic city of Paris »

For a more centrally located hotel we found the Best Western Trianon Rive Gauche to suite our taste just excellently. We stayed six nights at the BW in early May, temperatures were unseasonably warm during our stay and we loved it. We were given a balcony room our first night and to our surprise we received a bottle of champagne to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We thanked the desk staff for being so thoughtful. We did find the room to be a little too small, so for the remainder of our stay we upgraded to a deluxe room, we lost the balcony but still had a large window that opened up. The beds were a little hard for our liking, but everybody is different and I'm sure many people prefer a harder bed. The hotel is in a magnificent location, your just a short three minute walk to the beautiful Luxembourg gardens. When your ready to sit back and relax with a glass of wine as parisians do on the sidewalk there are many choices. Restaurants of every nationality are just around the corner as well as authentic french restaurants. For breakfast you'll find many cafes or creperies where you'll find a nice cappuccino to start your day. Your just a short 10 minute walk to the Cathedrale of Notre Dame de paris on the Seine River and just across the river a short distance is the louvre Museum. The staff were more than helpful and always very friendly, I enjoyed the table set up during the afternoon with juice some fruit and sweets to replenish after a long day, this was very thoughtful gesture by the hotel staff. I recommend the Trianon Rive Gauche to anyone choosing a hotel in Paris, you can't go wrong.

« Good location, nice cleaned room, not allergy friendly breakfast »

We stayed at this hotel for five nights, and were very good welcomed. This hotel has a nice location near the Luxembourg garden, the room was clean. With gluten- and lactoseallergy it's hard to find breakfast in Paris. I would wish they had some more alteratives then bread with gluten. Only one type of ham, and food was not marked with allergenes. Quite expensive breakfast to only drink tea and some fruit.

« Our favorite hotel in Paris »

Best Western Hotel Trianon Rive Gauche is our favorite hotel in Paris. The location is outstanding -- close to RER B (to Charles DeGaulle airport), RER C (to Versailles), and Metro lines, to great restaurants, and sites. It has a French feel to it -- historic and charming yet modern and very comfortable, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful, wonderful breakfast, very nice room.

    « 3-days stay in Paris »

I spent 3 days in the hotel and have to say that I love it ! It is very well situated in Paris, offers awesome breakfast. The room was really nice and we particulary appreciated the free complementary mini bar ! We felt right at home with an excellente and nice staff, we recommend this hotel to everybody that wants to stay a couple nights in Paris !

    « Great stay »

Clean comfortable rooms. Good value. Very - very nice by European standards. I wish there was better air (wish there was air). Big closet- in room toilet. Good TV with good cable selection. Location is very central. Two blocks from Metro Luxembourg station. Very short walk to Notre Dame.

    « Excellent »

Best Western Trianon Rive gauche is well-located. It stays a few steps away from le Jardin de Luxemboug and from la Place de la Sorbonne. You can reach the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris in within 10 minutes (by walking). The hotel is pretty charming, cozy and reasonable-priced. Besides that, the staff is really helpfull.

« Best Hotel, Ideal location - Right in the city centre »

This hotel belongs to the best western group. Thus the hotel is clean, neat, tidy & very well maintained. The Hotel offers good rooms with bath tub, good quality toileteries & indeed the best quality of the breakfast. The Breakfast is continental & you can get wide varities to pamper your taste buds. The wifi offered is a fast speed which is free. The reception & ambience has contemprory looks. The staff is friendly & ready to extend the help need to the customer. The location has two railway stations at 2 minutes walk & moreover hotel is in cty centre making it an ideal location. Also the hotel is couple of kilometres to the Louvre Museum & Notre dame

« Clean, quiet, confortable, center of Paris (Sorbonne - St Germain) »

We travel in Paris twice every year since 2008 for business and we have tried some hotels in Saint Germain. Trianon is the best one among these hotels. It is very quiet, clean and in the center of Saint Germain. Right across the street is the beautiful "Place de la Sorbonne". My only problem is that it gets more expensive every year.

« Excellent service and great location! »

The Best Western Trianon Rive Gauche was the host hotel for my daughter's wedding party and family members. The staff were very helpful in planning the details and sincerely excited to have the wedding party as guests. The bride's party used the hotel extra seminar room for getting ready the day of the wedding. This hotel is in a great location, just a short walk from the Luxembourg RER stop (convenient from the CDG) and close to many attractive tourist locations. There are many excellent restaurants within walking distance. I highly recommend this mid-range hotel.

    « Lovely location »

A great hotel in an excellent location. We recently stayed over New Year and enjoyed the proximity to the metro and to the many tourist locations. The room was clean as was the hotel generally. The staff were friendly and helpful and the area was very safe. We particularly enjoyed the walk to the Musee D'Orsay along the Boulevard St Germaine. It was also walkable to the Champs Elysee (if you don't mind a good long walk) through the Louvre Courtyard and the Tuilleries Gardens. Be aware that the walls are thin and it is possible to hear much of what is happening in the next room. The energetic couple next door left little to the imagination!

    « Perfect Location »

Perfect location as it is 10 minutes from Notre Dame. Service is great and staff is helpful. Rooms are clean and quite. We stayed here twice and will choose again next time we are in Paris. Breakfast is not included and it is a bit expensive but there is a lovely cafe' just opposite the hotel which offers a great "petit dejeuner" for only €7,50. Walkable distance from Notre Dame and from St Michel's restaurant area where you can choose Italian food, brasseries, creperies or a kebab.

« Great location, service and breakfast »

My wife and I, travelling on our own, totally enjoyed our stay here. Easy to walk to from the Luxembourg RER station on the Left Bank, this was a great location for walking and Metro touring of Paris. Our room was quite well kept, clean, with a small balcony from which we could see the Eiffel Tower some miles away. Very good breakfast, above average to us Yanks travelling in France.

    « spring break!! »

We had a LOVELY time at this boutique hotel. The rooms, although smaller than I expected, were cozy, and clean. I felt very safe and comfortable during our stay. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Breakfast was very good, and hotel staff was extremely nice and accomodating.

« Perfect location in Latin neighbourhood on the left side of Seine river near Sorbonne Uiniversity. »

Me and two my collegues came to Paris at the beginning of October to visit Nuit Blanche festival. As this isn't first time for us for this festival visiting and we used to stay in different hotels every year, we decided to change districts. Earlier that was Marais, so this time we tried Latin neighbourhood and we wasnt dissapointed at all. The district was realy charming, calm, with a sence of academic atmosphere, and no surprise why - Sorbonne University is just few steps away from hotel. The hotel is very pleasent. I red of course other reviews before to book this hotel and I can advocate some "week" things which I red. Rooms are pretty small, but they are good designed and comfortable. Every detail is designed with a good sence and if you get room on higher floors (7 th 8th) directed towards street you will get millions worths view! Elevator is realy small and slowly, but on the other hand, this is exactly that kind of old elevators I always expect to ride when visiting Paris or any other charming European city and they are small and slowly, so what! Some spots of carpets or walls could be moldy or stained, but I swear, all in all hotel is clean. This isn' t nano perfect glass modern house, this is real Parisian sence of living. And finaly, breakfast - I find that it is sufficient and also very parisian. It's rathar laconic, but this isn' t superficial plastic one. You get omelet, sausages, different sorts of bread and cheese, butter, jams, fresh orange juice, good coffee, muesli and yoghurt. And that all is served in a petit palace like hall what I also realy enjoyed. What else you need for satiety and satisfaction?

« Perfect for short stay »

Enjoyable short stay for my wife and me while in Paris. We had minor issues with our original room, but the front desk staff took care of the issue and moved us to a different room. The next day we received a nice letter from the manager, Cecile who apologized for the inconvenience and asked to come see her. The next morning I met Cecile and talked about the issues. Cecile offered a discount on the last night and we obliged, but made sure to mention again how great the staff was in taking care of us immediately. The staff throughout our stay helped out with my general questions (i.e. train info, ATM location etc). My wife and I enjoyed the breakfast. The breakfast had a lot of choices from scrambled eggs, sausages, breads, pastries, fruit, and freshly squeezed orange juice (literally putting whole oranges into a machine). Walking distance to Notre Dame and River Seine, but to far for walking to the Eiffel tower. We would stay here again if we have the chance.

« Perfect spot for a weekend city break »

Hotel Trianon is located just of Blvd Saint Michel, which is perfect for reaching St Germain, Notre Dame and River Seine. The rooms are quite small and it's not worth spending 15 euros on any breakfast provided, but if you are only spending a short time in Paris it's perfect as a base. I booked through which turned out to be much cheaper. I was even more surprised when our room had a cute balcony and an amazing view of the Eiffel Tower and typical Parisian rooftops. Staff are not overly friendly but you'll be spending so little time in the hotel, it doesn't really matter! Your own Parisian pied-a-terre!

« Classic Parisian hotel in great location »

By "classic" I refer to exterior architecture typical of the neighbourhood, small to medium, well appointed lobby area, with little wine/beer bar and small front desk. The property is over 60 years old with a single glass and bronze elevator and smallish rooms. The Trianon Rive Gauche might be called quaint if it were not 8 stories. The rooms are well appointed and beds comfortable with great pillows. It is a very quiet hotel. Our bathroom had been upgraded maybe 5 years ago. Our room overlooked an inner courtyard. The staff entirely surprised me with their attentiveness and attention to detail. They were all very friendly and professional. As Vaugirard is a long street it is best to remember that the location is a half block from the Sorbonne. From here one may easily walk through the Latin Quarter to Notre Dame in 10-15 minutes. Jardin Luxembourg is 5 minutes to the west and is the boundary for Saint Germain-des-Pres directly 2 blocks north.

« Small rooms and bathrooms but great neighbourhood and nice place overall! »

Great location in the St Michel / Luxembourg area, right next to the Luxembourg park, the Pantheon and Sorbonne... very nice decor in the common areas and nice staff, great breakfast buffet... very small room and bathroom but with everything you need.

« Very nice hotel in great location »

We were very pleased with this hotel and it's location in Paris. Just a short walk - maybe 10 min- to get to Notre Dame and the Hop On/Hop Off bus. Very helpful lobby staff when arrived and our room was very nice with clean, comfortable beds and a nice size bathroom with tub and shower. Only complaint was how high the tub was to get in and out of and there was nothing to grab other than the towel bar so you didn't break a hip climbing out ! Other than that we were happy we stayed here

    « Ok hotel...good location, zero ammenities »

This hotel has a nice location close to the Luxembourg palace. Several shortfalls during our stay though. First we requested an early check in since we would be arriving before 11am and the hotel told us that would be possible. The normal check in is at 3pm. We arrived at 11 and were told we could not check in early and to come back at 3pm. Not a good first impression especially after a long day of travel. They had somewhere for our bags but we wanted to shower and change but couldn't. I tried to talk to the reception staff but the lady at the front desk spoke little broken English despite the hotel claiming multilingual and fluent staff in 3 languages including English. Breakfast is not included but also unimpressive. Coffee in the lobby is not free which is pretty ridiculous. Worst part was the hotel staff entered our room with the do not disturb up while we were out. Room and bathroom very small.

« lovely exterior, not so lovely interior »

Our usual hotel being fully booked, we were really looking forward to our stay here, having seen the hotels wonderful photos and we arrived and all looked great at reception and surrounding area, light, bright, and airy....we made our way to our room and I was totally shocked at the depressing, dingy darkness of the room, decor and furniture all dark and slightly shabby....we are used to french hotel rooms sometimes being small, due to the old buildings, that wasn't an issue.....I felt like a mole..just a curtain covering the wardrobe, never come across that before, the outlook was the air conditioning units whose constant hum could be heard through the double glazing, the bed was very comfy, tv and service good, maids lovely, so we made the best of it as we always aim to be out most of our stay in Paris....a change of curtains and wallpaper, to match the bathroom could be a good idea

« Comfortable Hotel in Great Location »

Stayed here for a short break. Really nice hotel. Lovely traditional decor with good facilities and in a fabulous location. Easy walking distance to Notre Dame, Jardin du Luxembourg and all the lovely cafés and restaurants of the Latin Quarter. Good size room with huge bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities. Air-con was pretty pathetic but French windows meant the room stayed cool and ventilated. Rooms kept clean and are well maintained. Staff very helpful. Didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment and the bar was being refurbished which was a shame but plenty of places nearby. Many good restaurants in Rue Monsieur Le Prince which is seconds away. Overall a good experience and great value for money.

« Elegant, friendly and a great location »

My husband and I stayed here at the end of a wonderful month's trip around France. What a superb hotel to end our trip with! Beautiful, classic decor, such friendly staff who spoke excellent English, quiet comfortable rooms with all inclusions. Located in the vibrant St Germain district we were only steps away from many great restaurants and cafes as well as close to Notre Dame, Musee D'Orsay and many other major attractions. Great value!

« A great room near the Luxomburg Gardens »

The staff were amazing - and if you spend an extra 10 euros you can get a room with a view of the Eiffel tower - it is an amazing sight - every hour on the hour there is an amazing light show and the elevator to get to those rooms is quite an adventure!

« Location - the only saving grace »

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in June 2015. Having stayed in couple rooms in NY city, we knew what to expect in terms of Paris hotel sizes. And this one, sadly, lived up to our expectation. The bathroom was a horror. The walls of the hotel were pretty thin and we could almost hear what the people in other rooms were talking. The lift of this hotel was probably the smallest lift I have ever seen. Even two people could barely fit! We preferred taking the stairs. The only saving grace of this hotel was its location. Louvre was about 20 minute walk, notre dame was 5-10 minutes and Luxembourg gardens another 5-10 minutes. Plus, having Angelina's and Pierre Hermes at a 10 minute walking distance cannot be bad either. Also the subway is 5-7 minute walk. Don't bother with the breakfast, since plenty of better options on the street. We ate breakfast at Bagelstein which was quite good. The only reason you could choose this hotel is for its location.

« First night of our European honeymoon »

We only had one day and evening in Paris and we loved our stay at the Trianon Rive Gauche! Wonderful reception and very friendly upon our early arrival. Our luggage was held while we explored Paris waiting in our room to be ready. Thankfully, it was ready before noon and what lovely honeymoon detail was given to our room for us! Chilled champagne, some sweets and rose petals in a heartshape on the bed and scattered in the bathroom! What a nice thing for them to do for us! Our room was very clean and quiet with a nice view. It was a very comfortable bed with comfy pillows. This hotel was very centrally located 2 blocks from Luxembourg Gardens and then a few blocks the other direction to the River Seine! We weren't able to enjoy breakfast as we had only 1 night and an early train the next morning. But it looked like it would had been very good. Very much a Parisian feel with the smallest lift I have ever been on before......but it was fun to experience!

    « Horror »

Horrible hotel. The room and bath were very messy. I had to clean the bath by myself before the shower. There were clothes from guests before, in the cupboard. The safe hangs on a wall not quiete safely. Didn't dare to put something in, as I was afraid that it falls down. The windows do not close properly, so its quiet loud and cold. ... The only positive thing was that the tv worked fine. This hotel has 4 stars... Its just a joke! I would give zero stars. Please look for another one! Maybe less stars are better and cheaper.

« Great little hotel in Latin/St Germain area of Paris »

We stayed 5 nights at the beginning on August, love the location and service. We were in the Superior Twin room with a small balcony with a nice view of the Eiffle Tower. The front desk staff was always helpful and spoke English. We did not have their breakfast because there are so many lower cost cafes just steps away from the front of the hotel. Yes, the rooms are tiny but really how much space do you need when you should be out seeing the sights. This hotel is an easy walk to Notre Dame and even to the Louvre. Metro stations at every turn. Hundreds of great restaurants within a mile in any direction. Stay here if you want a nice stay at a reasonable cost in a great location.

    « Lots of Character »

Enjoyed a 4 night stay in this well located hotel. The Best W we booked on a previous visit was not available, so we decided to try this one. Loved it, It was charming. Our upgraded room was on the 8th floor, with a view, small frig, nice amenities (robes, slippers). Breakfast was wonderful. So many nearby restaurants to choose from. We would return to this hotel on a future visit.

    « Great view! »

Good location and room was decent. No mini bar however you can get a drink in the lobby lounge. What I loved the most was the view of the Eiffel Tower! Overall, I was pleased with the hotel and would recommend to anyone looking for a place in Paris that's not too expensive.

« BW on St Michel »

This hotel is in a perfect location for the centre of Paris within walking distance to the Seine and two steps from the Sorbonne university and jardin du Luxembourg. As for the quality of the hotel, it met all my expectations and exceeded them with the large, well functioning bathroom.

We have stayed here two times in the last three years. The hotel is centrally located on the Left Bank with easy access to many sights (Notre Dame, Musee Cluny, Luxembourg Gardens, the Sorbonne) and the St. Michel metro station. There are a number of small restaurants in the area that are very good. The rooms are decent size and nicely annointed. The staff is extremely gracious and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel to visitors looking to stay in this section of Paris and hope to return soon.

« Great location and very friendly staff. »

I had a great stay for business at the B/W Trianon in Paris. I would definitely stay there again for business or personal vacation. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the room was a nice size for this location in Paris.

    « comfortable, well located »

location excellent between jardins luxembourg and the sorbonne, very quiet hotel in the heart of the center, excellent rooms and breakfast, staff very helpful and pleasant free internet with printer in the lobby very useful bathroom clean and comfortable

    « Perfect Location »

BW was very cute and cozy. Staff was very helpful. Although we didn't have a view from our room the room was clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel was perfect!!! Restaurants and shopping right around the corner. Also nearby we discovered a coin Laundromat which was perfect as I don't like to travel with dirty clothes and don't like others doing my laundry. We would stay at this hotel again.

    « Paris, France - weekend holiday »

Friendly and service minded staff, good location in the Latin quater, clean and well kept. Some of the rooms are very small which is a serious Draw back. Breakfast is good but expensive (easily found cheaper at local cafés)

« Good value, location, and amenities »

This is a hotel that combines European charm with American service. The rooms are clean and comfortable if sometimes a little quirky--ours had eight sides (and none of them equal,it was like a jigsaw puzzle.) Bathrooms small but modernized. Do spring for the deluxe bathroom though. Beds were comfortable as were the pillows. Moderate street noise - the higher your floor, the less this will be a problem. It's a good location in a safe area and very reasonably priced. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Oly negative - a surly housekeeping staff. Woe to he who wants an extra towel!

« They took great care of us!!! »

It was our first time to Paris and I was a little worried because we did not speak french. Almost all of the hotel staff spoke English. The room was small compared to what we are used to but It had everything we needed. One of the highlights of our room was the balcony, We could view the Eiffel tower, which was amazing when they turned the lights on. The location was the next best thing. We were able to walk to all the great points of interest.

    « Paris Experience »

Very nice and helpful staff. Nice location in Latin Quarter. Good value. Good restaurants nearby. Only minus is Hotel is not very close to Metro Stations. Closest Metro about .4 miles. Buffet breakfast nice but a little overpriced.
