« Best quality hotel for the place and price »

We stayed at this specific Hotel 15-19/11/2016 and I have only pleasant experiences. The room was very clean, bed sheets and towels changed every day, minibar was continuously filled up. Personnel helpful ,discreet and polite. It wasn't so cheap as other hotel in the other side of the city, but it is worth every penny because you can not achieve better price in this area near Louvre museum. So comparing accordingly we were very satisfied and planning to stay there again, I hope when we go to this monumental city

« Best value for money!! »

It is a very nice hotel in the centre of Paris. It is very close to the Louvre museum, galleries Lafayette and Opera! It was very convinient and the personnel very polite!! The price was also very good.I will choose it again for my next trip in Paris!

    « Moderate »

Very small room for 2 persons but the location is very good near to louvre and not so far from the opera hotel is very clean people are very nice and very helpful, there isn't parking for the hotel but there is a parking near it by 500 meters but parking is very very expensive 36 euro for the night

« One of the worst hotels in Paris »

Please read before you book. Location wise an excellent choice but in terms of service a horrible experience. I got almost a dark room. Room was not fully clean. So as the bathroom. Bathroom was quite tiny in size with basic amenities. Two out of three light bulbs were not working. After complaining to the receptionist, I got a table lamp. Air condition was non functioning. At first, receptionist told me to wait few mins before it will start working. But it never worked. I got a portable fan in the room but whole night was a like a nightmare as I could not sleep because of room temperature. Breakfast was very basic. I would recommend to have breakfast outside as there are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. Overall a total waste of money considering the fact that I paid more than 100 bucks. Only positive things were the location, wifi.

    « Not a good experience. Don't recommend »

We booked the hotel an hour before we got there (about noon). As we arrived about an hour after I booked the hotel with Tripadvisor, the front desk didn't find the reservation and told us that they don't work with Tripadvisor, and suggested me to book a new room and cancel the booking with whoever i booked with for the same price (about $90 something including tax). Just as the front desk checking us in as walkin guests, she received the booking from Tripadvisor. It took about 30-40 mins. We stayed one day as we booked, and the next day we decided to stay one more day, and the front desk guy told us there's one last room available, but for price of 115, which is 20+ more expensive than our previous price. Then I decided to book it on Tripadvisor again to get the same rate, however, the guy make the last room unavailable in the system so that we could do it as we wished. The entire time, he couldn't be more rude. Not a very good experience. You can get much better room for better price if you book the Best Western in the Champs-Élysées area.

    « Location with a view »

We had the top floor room - it featured a little balcony with a beautiful view of the Paris rooftops, large bedroom and bathroom. Perfect for a final night in Paris. Close to restaurants and a short distance to Rue Saint Honore which has gorgeous shops and buildings

« Great location for exploring »

This hotel is about five minutes' walk from the Louvre so is in a great location - but the downside is that it's on a busy road which does get noisy at night. Don't let that put you off though, this hotel is clean, nicely decorated, the room we had was spacious and the staff are polite and courteous. We didn't eat here so can't review the food, but there are hundreds of cafes nearby anyway if you'd rather do as we did and go local!

    « Near the Louvre »

We stayed 5 nights at this hotel. We enjoyed its location, very close to the Louvre, Metro Stations (on Line # 1), a nice square with a water fountain and few cafes, restaurants, small super market and a pharmacy. The room was nice, clean and quiet. We were on the 4th floor and the elevator worked well as did the WiFi. The people at the front desk were nice and funny. We did not eat at the hotel although they do offer breakfast for a charge. Proximity to the Metro and super market was very very helpful. Make sure to sign in again and again every time you leave and come back to the hotel. Our phones, iPhone and Android, did not connect automatically not even over night when we got up in the morning.

    « Family Vacation »

The location is excellent. Close to attractions like the Louve. This is our second stay at this hotel. A/C is the only potential problem as individual units cool the rooms. This could be an issue on hot summer days.

« Nice staff but not price worthy »

Staff friendly and helping. Rooms tidy but no functioning air condition. A machine that stood there and made noise. A little bit like the machine that goes bing for all Monty Python fans. Hair conditioner not supplied so bring your own if you have long hair. The room was very expensive as compared to what you get and that is my main objective. Location very good with most things within walking distance if you are reasonably fit.

    « Great Location »

The location was the only thing this hotel had in its least it was until about 3:00am and the drunks began leaving the nightclub opposite. We weren't prepared for the noise as there weren't any signs to indicate it was a club, just a heavy black door. The singing, arguing and loud voices continued for quite a long time, so a good night's sleep would only be for VERY heavy sleepers. Lack of sleep isn't ideal when you intend to do a lot if walking and sight seeing. As mentioned in other posts, you need a separate password for each device to use Wifi and also a separate password for each patron. My husband used the password first and when I tried to use it and couldn't get on, he went down to Reception to enquire why and the guy abused him and said "I've already given your wife a password, she doesn't need another one". My husband told him he was mistaken and that I hadn't been down to get one and he begrudgingly gave him a new one. The room did not have a bar fridge which was a concern for me as my medication is meant to be kept in the bad, I guess? It's the first time I've stayed anywhere that didn't have one. They supplied a jug for tea/coffee making but the only power outlet was near the floor so you had to sit on the ground if you wanted to make tea or coffee. The only breakfast available was tea/coffee, orange juice, bread and jam which didn't suit me as I'm gluten intolerant so we had to go and find a café with suitable food, which we actually preferred as the staff at Best Western weren't very friendly. When travelling and I leave a place I ask myself 2 questions. 1) Would I like to return here some day? Answer: NO WAY!!! 2) Would I recommend this place to family and friends? Answer: DEFINITELY NOT !!

« Average Hotel at an Amazing Location »

The location of Best Western Louvre Piemont deserves an A+ rating as it is strikingly close to the Louvre, very close to the Opera Garnier, and within walking distance of many Right Bank sights in Paris. So, this weighs heavily towards the "Very Good" rating of this review. For everything else, this hotel deserves "Average" rating. With small touches and improvements, they can easily land in the "Very Good" category across the board. The lobby is lovely, with oriental rugs and little Parisian touches. The service is largely good, though can be somewhat variable. My room was larger than I expected, and it was very clean. While it was freshly painted blue, it utterly lacked any decoration, which made it appear hospital-like. Even a single painting or print would have gone a long way in making it feel more cozy and hospitable. It also did not have enough easily accessible outlets for charging devices, which is critical nowadays. The Wi-Fi was dependable. While my room overlooked the street, it was very quiet. They did store my luggage, both with early arrival and late departure. Overall, it's an average hotel at an amazing location.

« Great location but some issues which need addressing »

Wifi was pretty annoying. Kept needing to be logged in repeatedly and needing a new password once a day. Wifi was also pretty slow. They really should change Internet service provider so that Internet can be more reliable. There's a nightclub behind the hotel and the noise (music and revelry) escalates over the weekend even in the wintertime Room was too small for the furniture they squeezed into it. For example, the headboard was clearly designed (width wise) for a smaller bed but they crammed a double bed into the space. There was clearly no space for the chair between the bed and the tiny desk in the room but they still stuffed it in. I was told the air conditioning was not working (room stuffy) and the blinds were stuck in the down position for my entire 3 night stay. I wanted to open the windows for ventilation but the disco was too loud for that solution!! Pillows were obviously old and way too soft. Toilet has a really unique shape designed to take up less space I suppose. Location was great near Louvre. staff were mostly helpful as well. Staying in this area is great for all the good Japanese food nearby!

    « Worth a 3.5 rating! »

First off, the location is ideal for tourist attractions such as the Louvre and the opera. Reception area is welcoming and the decor is nice. We arrived early and was allowed to check in to our room. The lift going up to the room was very small and jumpy, not great if you have a fear of lifts. We requested a front facing room but we were given one with no view which was disappointing. Rooms were decorated to an okay standard. For hotels in Paris the rooms were large, and it had a bath (even though the plug didn't work!). Secondly our safe didn't work as the batteries had ran out, when I told the man on the front desk there was little he could do, although I appreciate this may have been the language barrier. He later told us he'd checked the safe and it was the batteries and there was little he could do - a bit disappointing. Although we enjoyed our stay here, we feel there are nicer, and similar priced, hotels in Paris that we would stay at in the future!

    « A Nice Hotel in a Great Location »

This was our third stay here. The staff is very friendly, and the central location on a quiet street near the Louvre can't be beat. It is in a safe area with a bakery and some good restaurants nearby and the Metro station is also close.

« Small Hotel .. but Great location »

This was a surprise ..It seemed to us like a family run hotel, and may be a house converted to hotel. The rooms v small with hardly any moving space, looked to be a eco friendly hotels, so the lobby is dark until the lift door opens the light go on. However the room has all amenities including a tea/coffe maker and portable AC .. but the AC was too small for the room and so our fan which we carried along came to our rescue,I again no european hotel will have rooms and so please try & carry battery operated fans for your sound sleep. Breakfast was v basic and everything was kept in v limited quantity and was refilled only if you ask for it. However you can find basic stuff like Bread, eggs , cakes ,cornflakes and fruit, fruit juices which was good enough. Location...Thats one thing for which you can overlook all other flaws..its a 5 min to louvre, 10 min walk to opera main station and . madelline square . everything is easy and accessible and hence it was v easy for us to commute and go around by our selves. Do not expect luxury.. ...

    « Room should be a closet. »

We requested a double bed, it was two twins pushed together and not attached. You could fall through. The room was so small, I could barely repack the suitcases. No room to walk around. Internet did not work. In Paris, there is a Metro stop everywhere. Location does not matter as much as comfort. This was behind the Louvre. Expensive for a closet.

« A hotel on the average border »

in the city center, Very close to the historical places, and good access to transportation system are the best features of this hotel. Everything is on the average: not great, not bad. most staff cannot speak English, one of them even could not understand the meaning of microwave!

    « Awful hotel »

The air conditioning was broken, so there was a portable air conditioner that was extremely loud (making it very difficult to sleep, which I did not sleep at all) and the exhaust tube had to be put out the window, meaning the window had to remain opened so there was a lack of privacy and also no way to keep the light out. The room was so hot - the air conditioner HAD to be used. The TV did not work, the lock on the door did not work, the room felt cheap and dirty and the wi-fi kept kicking me off. In short, I couldn't stand this hotel. Look elsewhere!!!

    « Location, location.... »

A well located hotel within walking distance of all,the great attractions ie the Louvre etc.The room we were given was a reasonable size one however it was up on the 7th floor. This meant the lift went only to the 6th floor with us (we are in our 60s) lugging heavy suitcases up narrow stairs to the 7th floor. This was not a good start. Air conditioning non existent however we opened a door/window for air. Breakfast was the usual continental affair, however the eggs were missing unless asked for. On the final morning eggs appeared however they were very unapertizing. The front desk was very helpful. Obviously paying the high price is for the location to all the landmarks, however did expect something better for breakfast for price paid.

    « no air conditioning »

We arrived to be told air conditioning was broken. The temperature in our room was unbearable. We were given a small portable air conditioning machine but it was inadequate to reduce the room temperature. The coolest was 26 degees.the machine was very noisy making ot difficult to sleep at night between heat and noise. The breakfast area and reception areas were also uncomfortable. Please check before booking if air con is working.

    « Great location »

Well located small hotel, with predominately small but clean rooms. It is worth paying the extra for their larger rooms, though the front facing ones are much noisy Stefan on the front desk was wonderful, helpful and added the extra touch . It was extremely hot when we were there, and they provided good fans which helped significantly Would recommend, if you want to be close to the landmarks as very centrally located, with lots of good restaurants nearby

    « Great Location »

Spent 8 days here on a recent family trip in a triple room. Location, location, location! Just a few minutes walk to the Louvre, walking distance to Notre Dame, the Opera, the Champs Elysee, etc. Very small room, but not really a problem for us (me, hubby and 15 yr-old daughter), to be expected in Paris. Only problem was lack of working AC -- not unusual in France. There was a large pole fan in our room which helped immensely. Breakfast was prepaid, so we ate it -- not a lot of choice or variety. Had to ask for scrambled eggs each morning as per the sign on the warmer. Said ask for sausages, which we did but we were told that they were not available. Last two mornings no eggs either. That said, the front desk staff was very helpful and pleasant. We would stay here again for the location, ease and comfort of the hotel, just not in the hottest summer!

« Spend your money at another hotel!! »

No air conditioner, No fridge (these were promised at booking), elevator broke and had to walk up 6 flights of stairs. I had to ask for a fan. No apologies and No discounts offered. Very disappointed!! Paris is beautiful but go to another hotel!!

« home away from home »

We stayed for a full 2 weeks and so thoroughly enjoyed this hotel that we began to feel like locals along Rue de Richelieu. Galina set us up with an upper back room away from the street and we slept wonderfully. She was so helpful throughout. Stephane at the front desk was so personable and engaging, glad to point out local attractions and amenities. Clemons on the night shift was great and very professional. The cleaning crew ladies could not have been better. We will miss all of them, at least until we someday return. Remember, when you are in another country, some things may be done differently, so adapting your expectations to this fact might just open up other potentail joys unforseen. We will only have good memories of Hotel Louvre Piemont. This was like staying in someone's home, albeit a professionally run one. We would, without question, return. Thank you , to all.

« Quiet hotel in busy area »

My husband and I had a surprisingly quiet stay for two nights. The room was spotless and rather large by Paris standards, the staff very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast quality was very nice. The location is very convenient for the Louvre, and was only a 10-15 min walk to the Opera as well.

« Small but great location »

Before booking this hotel I checked out TripAdvisor to see what other people were saying about this hotel. The reviews for the hotel were right on. This is a great place to stay while you are in Paris. It is a small hotel so you might want to book early. We would stay here again when in Paris.

    « Excellent location! »

Small hotel, but not uncomfortable, with breakfast, You really cannot beat the location of this hotel, just steps away from Louvre. Rooms are small, but they do have a family room with enough space for a family of 4. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. A metro station is a stone's throw away.

    « Totally overpriced »

teeny tiny even by paris standards but priced at rates similar to nicer hotels. wifi spotty and hotel was getting painted including our room with no discount. can get better hotel for same or less cost:
