    « Couldn't Be Better »

Booking at this hotel was the best idea ever after a 5 hour flight and a 3 hours layover in Dubai, The check in took 5 sec and I was off with my room keys, the room (No. 21 on the second floor) had this amazing balcony overlooking the magnificient July Column. The furniture was modern and the size of the room was just perfect (bigger than most rooms in Paris). The coffee machine and the small pastry complementary of the hotel staff was a nice touch and so delicious. The area can be accessible through multiple metro lines and a stone through away from the famous hip area called Le Marais. Getting my croissant beurre and walking all the way to the Louver and the Champs Elysee was the highlight of my daily routine. Upon check out I was offered a coffee and a delicious muffin while waiting for my taxi to CDG. I would definitely stay here next time I'm in Paris. Merci Indeed.

« Good value for money »

Stayed here for 3 nights for the Paris tennis masters. Hotel is located about 10mins walk from the Bastille station which has good links to all the main train stations and metro, was a few restaurants around seemed okay, but would recommend to eat in the main tourist areas even if it's a bit more expensive, they are more welcoming to tourists. The hotel it's self was quite small but lovely, fairly modern decor, looks as if it has been re done recently and clean the staff where helpful and friendly. Rooms where fairly small, consisting of just a room with a good sized bed and a small en suite bath room. On check out you have to pay a tax but it was only about 18 euros and you can leave your bags at the hotel until your ready to leave. Only strange things were that you had to leave your room key when you left, but wasn't ever a problem as there was staff there all night and there was a buzzer on the door too, the internet cut off after about 11pm but after a day of sight seeing it didn't matter, uploading your snaps to Facebook could wait until the morning. Over all hotel was good value for money.

    « Tiny, well-designed room »

Typical of French accommodations, our room was tiny, but exceptionally well designed, with ample shelves to tuck things out of the way. Lighting in the bathroom was good for applying makeup with bulbs on the side, not just from the top. Staff was very helpful and friendly with satisfactory to good English - much better than the remnants of my high school French! Location is good - only a few blocks from Place des Vosges, other attractions in the Marais. Only minor complaints: hair dryer arrangement is awkward; a few more electrical sockets to charge stuff would be helpful.

« Ideal location for visiting Paris »

This hotel is a stones throw from the metro station Breguet Sabin and only 800m from the Bastille station that offers good access to the Eiffel Tower. The location offers ideal transport to all of the sites as well as being in a hip area with so many bars and restaurants. Really couldn't ask for a better location. The hotel itself is a small affair with a tiny elevator. Rooms are small but adequate, couldn't swing a cat in the bathroom with the shower was large and had plenty of hot water. Air con was pushed to keep the room cool as the temperature hit 35 degrees outside. Staff were friendly, spoke good English and couldn't be faulted. Would stay here again based on the location alone.

« Long weekend in Paris »

This was the perfect hotel to stay in for a long weekend in Paris. We arrived mid week with an easy commute from the airport by train/metro (train to Gare Du Nord, RER line. Then Metro to Breguet-Sabin, Orange line). The metro runs regularly and the station is only a two minute walk from the hotel. On arrival at the hotel, we were welcomed by friendly staff who could not do enough to help. Throughout our trip they also advised us on the easiest ways to get around the city and went over and above to ensure we enjoyed our time in Paris. The room was reasonable in size and modernly decorated. It was extremely clean and made up daily. The room was also air conditioned. We were allocated room 17 on the first floor, next to the elevator. However despite worries about it having potential to be noisy, the room was pleasantly peaceful. The hotel is located a 5 minute walk from a number of bars, restaurants and cafes. We particularly enjoyed auberge de Venice. An Italian located roughly 0.5 miles from the hotel. There is also a daily morning market outside the hotel which sells fresh fruit, veg, meats, crepes and croissants. Throughout our stay we travelled around the city by metro, train, bus and boat (river cruise). All easily accessed from our hotel. The hop on, hop off bus/ batobus (river cruise) is a convenient way to see all the sights in the city within one day and runs up to 9.30pm. All in all, the Best Western Marais- Bastille was the perfect location for our first time in Paris.

« Between Marais and Bastille--an excellent middle of the road »

I recently stayed for 3 nights in a superior double. I know people often say you don't spend much time in a hotel room on a city break so it should not matter that much--but for me I must say it does! To be relaxed, a good night sleep and a nice shower make all the difference to my enjoyment of a city and this hotel provides all of these. Ok--it was a slightly larger room but it worked well with a nice view and big windows to open. I could see the top of the Bastille monument in the distance--very nice. Bathroom very modern and nice quality toiletries. Nice thick bathrobe as well. It was very quiet and the bed comfortable. Staff at the hotel were friendly. Slightly nervous about not being given a security key card--i think it would be good if guest had one especially since the hotel asks us to leave keys behind each time we leave the hotel--but there is an in-room safe so do use it! I have been to Paris many times and this is the best hotel I have stayed in. It is a nice stroll to the 'old' Marais so do not think you will be in the middle of it but not a problem I found. Overall a great experience although I did not have the breakfast. Plenty of place nearby for a croissant and coffee.

    « a cozy and convenient hotel »

We recently stayed at this hotel for 1 night while laying over in Paris. We landed at Orly airport and were flying out the next day from Charles De Gaule, so the hotel was about half way between Orly to hotel ($35 Euros fixed taxi ride), on the right bank in the Marais district and within walking distance to the Place de la Bastille. The hotel sits on a quiet residential side street and is within a 10 minute walk to a metro station. The building is tall and narrow with the reception and breakfast areas on the first floor- there is also a small workstation where guests can use a computer and print boarding passes -- which is a little cumbersome since you have to e-mail to front desk or save to a flash drive. There are about 5 rooms per floor accessed by a (typically) small elevator or if you are ambitious, a circular staircase. Our room faced the street and had a small balcony which opened to let in the fresh air. The room was a fairly standard size by European standards and was very well appointed and included a large wardrobe, coffee maker, safe and a very attractive bathroom. The climate control worked very well and all of the furnishings were clean and appeared new. The gentleman at the reception desk (Jose) when we checked in was helpful and gave us several recommendations for dinner in the area. We ended up taking the metro to the Champs-Élysées which might have been too ambitious a plan for one evening considering the inevitable time involved in circuitous connections and travel time ? we would have been better off staying in the Marais area. Breakfast at the hotel was a nice selection of hot and cold items served in a pleasant atmosphere. Choosing a hotel while staying in Paris always requires consideration of what you are there to see (given the size of the city and travel time between sites), but if you are looking for a hotel in the Marais this is an excellent choice!

« Amazing staff, so helpful, clean and cosy »

We visited Paris last min for a week and read reviews before. The room was lovely decorated despite being small, worked well and was comfortable. The staff could not help enough or do enough for you. The hotel does not serve alcohol. But we bought wine and close by supermarkets which they opened for us foc! Breakfast is lovely and good value, especially in comparison to trying to find breakfast out and about. Starts your day much better. Service can be slow in cafes and restaurant in the hotel area so we were so happy to have breakfast at hotel and then start our day. We didn't spend much time in room other than to sleep and get changed on a night. If you take short walk to Bastille metro station. You can take the M 1 to la defence to get to all the main areas very easily and quickly. Up until 1.30 on an evening. We had a weekly pass and used the RER from and to the airport and you could use metro and buses. All accessible from the hotel. At first it might seem daunting but is so easy once you get to grips with it. Eiffel Tower is a must. The Louvre is amazing and is surrounded by beautiful grounds. We loved the Luxembourg gardens and visited many other areas. We walked over 35,000 miles in 5 days! But by doing so allowed us to explore so many magical and unique likkle places. We miss and loved it all so much. And thank you to all of the staff for making our stay so special and being there to our any demand. We couldn't of wished or asked for more ???????? keep up all the good work and hope everyone shows their appreciation as much as what we wanted to.

« A marvelous, quaint hotel with a prime location! »

I stayed at this hotel for three nights and loved it. The location is prime, walking distance to the Metro, shops and attractions. The room was small, but super clean and was modern and nice, plus it had a balcony. The staff was friendly, welcoming and helpful. And the cherry on top is the price. On Sunday mornings, the median of the street in front has a farmer's market that was so much fun. I'll be back!! Steve T Austin, Texas

    « pre-birthday trip »

booked this hotel at the last minute for my pre-birthday trip and for one night only.it was a lovely small hotel very close to the metro station. the room are very clean and tidy. coffee/tea facilities is provided and the toiletries. yes it is small but my reason is im not staying in my room 24 hours a day.so being a small room is not a problem for me. safety box is included in the room as well as the wifi. i did enjoyed my stay in room number 36 as shown in the pictures attached. the receptionist was very helpful that time during my stay. also that day was the sad time for france because of the attack in nice:-( i can recommend this hotel for anybody wanting to stay in paris.

    « Couldn't ask for a better 3* friendly hotel »

Stayed for 3 nights in Paris - Marais Bastille. Pleasant and friendly reception staff (s) - all three of them (Idriss and other 2 - couldn't recollect their names). Great location. Couldn't complain about the room size as it is common Paris. However rooms are organised in a way that gives you more space. You get what you pay for. Overall it's a decent hotel for family and others.

« Great service, location and breakfast »

My teenage daughter and I spent 5 fabulous days in Paris, and the stay at this hotel played an important role. The twin room was always clean and quiet. The location is right at the beginning of Marais, walking distance to Bastille metro station. It has good breakfast, and above all, great service. The front staff is always ready to help, very pleasant to talk to. Thank you for such warm stay at your hotel.

« Really Great Hotel With Really Great Service »

Paris hotel rooms are small. They have organised the space in these rooms so well, you get everything you need cleverly hidden away. Everything g is quite compact but huge windows make it feel much more spacious. Very modern and tasteful decor within a beautiful old building. We had a front facing room and the updated windows meant that we heard virtually no traffic noise. Lovely bright and clean rooms and wonderful breakfasts. Comfy beds- had two of the best night's sleeps I'd had in ages, but that could be due to the fact we were child free that weekend! Staff were so helpful and the proximity to the Metro is really good. The Sunday market on Boulevard Richard Lenoir is brilliant to stroll through and pretty much starts outside the hotel. Will almost certainly go back next time I visit Paris.

« Long weekend visiting friends »

We chose this hotel due to its location in the 11th arrondissement which was the district our friends lived. That, and the normal browse at Tripadvisor reviews. As a rule I'll generally book BW or IMG hotels where available. The hotel was 2 minutes max to the local Metro station so was very easy to get to from Gare du Nord. It was clean and the staff were all fine/helpful people. The room had a great shower and although a little small for a double its air-con worked very well, it was also peaceful yet only 5-6 mins from Bastille. We were mostly out and about doing things so didn't take breakfast in the hotel. All in all, a good stay.

    4
« Decent hotel, decent location »

We had a good stay here, the hotel is in a decent location where you can walk to most things (although it is not super close, it is not ludicrously far either.) The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and they were happy to store our bags after we checked out.

    « A charming hotel in a fantastic district »

This hotel was booked for me as part of a surprise birthday trip to Paris. It is a 3 star but well worth another. It is very cool with simple arty decor. Our room was lovely with a decent size en suite with a bathtub. The staff were amazing and always willing to help outside of their duties. In particular Jade on the front desk was exemplary. The hotel is in Le Marais which has lots of independent shops and fabulous restaurants. Well worth a visit!

« Decent hotel in good location »

Stayed for one night. Staff friendly at reception, hotel very clean, room is small but that's like many similar style hotels in Paris. If you don't mind small room then stay here as it is in a great area and it is very well furnished and definitely a superior three star in my opinion. Only paid €80 for the night so I have to think it was excellent for that.

« Expect a basic Best Western and you shall get the same »

The Best part: Location. Its 5 minutes walk from Bastille which is a point in all Sight seeing buses and roughly 10 minutes from Marais (a nice quaint area for vintage shopping, bars, pubs etc). The Good part: Staff both at front desk and housekeeping are good. Efficient and helpful. The bad part: Room size and lack of options in breakfast. If it's part of your room, take it. Else, skip it and go eat at Bastille or to any of the pubs next door. Will I come again: Maybe not. I cannot believe that within my price range, my agent couldn't suggest something else.

    « Clean and convenient »

Located near the metro. Walking distance from the Marais area. The room was very spacious for Paris standards and well maintained, looked newly renovated. Hotel staff is very friendly and plenty of restaurants in the area.

    « Hotel stay 27 may through 31 May, 2016 »

My friend and I stayed at this hotel and were quite delighted at the extraordinary service received by all members of the reception staff. Our first encounter with a sweet women name Odile got our stay off to a perfect start. She went so far as to cheerfully come up to our room to show us how to use something in the room we were not acquainted with. Jose was quite funny and all of them were extremely helpful, giving us directions and advice and making us feel like we weren't a burden. The young hotel manager was very accommodating to our every need and made us want to come back and stay with them if we ever go to Paris again. We stayed in room 56. The hotel is very close to the Metro and many restaurants and across the street is a lovely street market on Sundays. We definitely recommend this hotel and this district. You won't be disappointed! cathy

« Perfect start to explore the City of Paris »

A great cosy hotel within Bastille area. Extremely accessible to Marais area and the Metro is just a few minutes walk away. There's also a Open Air Marche (market) to explore where stall owners display their daily fresh seafood, crepes, meats and cheese. A typical Tabac is right along the next street to get your cheap beer, coffee, cigarettes or a pre-paid 3G data Sim Card. Bountiful number of restaurants and cafes to enjoy or explore to grab your typical french lunch, dinner or just chill for a glass of wine. The Hotel staff were friendly, chatty and always willing to help with directions and sights of Paris. Most Parisian hotels are small for such prices but this was exceptionally acceptable and comfortable. Magnificent experience.

    « A comfortable stay in Paris »

My husband and I were visiting Paris for three nights and were seeking a hotel in a hip, trendy area. We chose this hotel as we had heard great things about the Bastille district and the hotel had a great reviews. Our stay here was comfortable and fulfilled our needs during our time in Paris. Our room was definitely small, but that is usually expected in Paris. The bed was very comfortable and clean. The bathroom was extremely tight, which was probably the biggest complaint we have about the room. Other than that, we were disappointed that the AC wasn't yet available, as apparently they only turn it on during the summer months. It was quite warm during our stay and we found our room to be stuffy during the night. The area was great and very close to restaurants, and public transportation. Overall, we had a nice stay and would recommend this hotel to travellers unless size is a big issue.

    5
    « Excellent hotel »

Best hotel I have stayed in in a long time. Great location. Comfortable. Exceptional staff - all of them, from front desk to restaurant to cleaning staff. I will most definitely return and highly recommend this hotel.

    5
    « Still a wonderful Paris hotel »

I returned to this hotel which is in the Bastille a skip away from the Marais. The rooms, although smallish, have well appointed bathrooms, and are beautifully serviced every day. The hotel staff are all exceedingly helpful and friendly, and the breakfast, although for a quite small clientele, is fresh and delicious

    5
« Wonderful small hotel with a great location and service »

We stayed here for a week in Paris and we had a wonderful stay. The breakfast is very complete and the staff takes very good care of you. We faced a courtyard, so our room was very quiet. The water pressure is amazing. The wifi is strong and fast. Beds were comfortable, too. It's a 7 minute walk to the Place de la Bastille with 3 subway lines, and there's a station less than 2 minute walk from the hotel. The staff helped us get cabs whenever we needed them. The room was small but was a very good deal. We would stay here again.

    4
    « Great stay »

We got 'bumped' to this hotel as the hotel we had booked had not finished their renovations. In the end the location was perfect - 2 minutes' walk to the metro station (Breguet Sabin), 5 minutes to Place de la Bastille and 10 mins to Place des Vosges. Staff were all excellent. Room large, clean and quiet. Bathroom large, clean and modern. Breakfast was simple but high quality with friendly service. Can't find anything to criticise.

    4
« Great location and great hotel »

I stayed there for a business trip, it was perfect. The staff was very nice and helpful, we were suprised by the quality of the room we were in. Special mention to the hotel manager who welcomed us perfectly. Quiet hotel, clean rooms and great location.

    4
    « Great Location »

I was recommended this area by a friend and was really pleased with the location. Nice street, our room was facing a small courtyard and was very quiet. The room was not huge as with many city hotels, but perfectly adequate - the shower was powerful with plenty of hot water. Was able to access our room early so it was useful to be able to leave our luggage before heading off sightseeing. Free WiFI was excellent, had no problems at all. Very helpful reception staff - did not eat breakfast there so cannot comment. Very easy to get to this hotel from Charles De Gaulle airport - just take the RER train to Gare du Nord, then join the metro line (orange 5) and get off at Breguet-Sabin, take the exit marked Sabin and it is a minutes walk to the hotel. (the orange line also connects with the yellow which will take you the main tourist attractions, or walk 5 minutes to the Bastille metro station which is served by the yellow line). Plenty of bistro restaurants within 5 minute walk, but beware, many are closed on a Sunday evening. Good farmers market on Sunday morning right outside the hotel.

« Great Stay and friendly staff. »

Me and my wife were there for 5 nights starting the weekend of Valentine's day.The hotel was clean, the rooms small but that is the standard in Paris. The highlight of this hotel is the front desk staff. Odile, and Georges were very friendly and accommodating. They answered all my questions and if I had any request they helped me quickly. There is also a young man name Luc, I wish he had been there when we checked out to thank him personally. He greeted us when we checked in, it was my first real interaction with a French person. He spoke good English and was very patient. He answered all my questions and helped me with an electrical problem I had in my room. I will never forget the great stay at The BW Marais-Bastille. Highly recommend.

« Lovely hotel - excellent value for money »

After a long search among the many hotels in Paris, I picked this one...and I made the right choice. The hotel is conveniently located, just a few stops from Gare du Nord, near bars and restaurants. We were allowed to check in early, without extra charges. The room, although small, was extremely clean and cosy, perfect for my daughter and myself. There were tea and coffee facilities, which is always a bonus.Staff very nice and smiley.

« Very nice and pleasant holidays at Le Marais »

Great staff. Clean rooms. Impeccable bathrooms. Great beds. Small elevator. A little far from the Metro but fine and safe place to walk at any time day or night. Breakfast was fantastic.... It is a small venue but the place was perfect. I am planning to return in the fall of 2016

« Fantastic hotel. Will be back soon! »

Rooms were typical Parisian size but so clean and good to look at. Our room was so quiet at night which meant a good nights sleep. Lovely powerful shower and a fantastic view with our own balcony. The buffet style continental breakfast was just perfect. The staff were very helpful with good recommendations of places to eat. The hotel is near the metro and in a great neighbourhood. It's an easy transfer from the airport and good access to all the sights.

« Great Hotel at a Great Price in Paris »

We travel to Paris often and this was the first time we stayed in the Bastille area. We had lots of fun exploring new areas, including the viaduct arts area with the garden promenade above. It was only 5 blocks to the Marais district, and the bus access was great. We loved the hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff, a great lobby with an L shaped sofa and several chairs made it nice for our family of 6 people to gather together for a glass of wine or champagne (went over new years eve). Was nicely decorated so it was warm and cozy. Breakfast was great in their breakfast room. All the rooms had an extra door so it was very quiet. Bed was comfortable. And the bathroom, albeit very small, was new with nice marble shower, counter and floor. The room was your typical Paris small room but was well laid out and did have a desk with stool and a chair.. We would definitely return as it offered a great location and a great value pricewise. Important Note: They have an accessible room on the ground level (rez de chausses) that has a roll in shower. My son and daughter in law stayed there and were very pleased. He uses a scooter and he did have to use their secondary entrance which still had a few inch step but we were able to use a piece of cardboard as a threshold.

    « Great hotel »

Great value, perfect location and very comfortable and clean rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms have all the amenities you need, which is not always the case in many European hotels. Very clean, pleasant and welcoming hotel.

    « excellent hospitality »

Perfect location for visiting Paris. Nicely located at a boulevard, within walking distance of the Bastille, on the border of the Marais. Charming small scale hotel with excellent service. Rooms are quiet. High value for money.

« New Years Eve Break »

We stayed here for 2 nights over new year. Close to the station and easily accessible to many local attractions. The hotel is small yet modern with fully equipped rooms with everything you need. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. Would highly recommend.

« An Absolutely Perfect Boutique Gem! »

We have stayed at small boutique hotels in Paris for 20 years. Many are charming. This one is perfect. From the décor to the location, this hotel is the gem we would recommend to all of our friends. First let me say that the front desk staff of Idriss and Christine are too good to be true. As professional as any staff could be and as friendly as a good next door neighbor. They were full of great information about the area. The two delightful members of the wait staff we met were equally helpful and charming. Food was tasty and plentiful and the food selection was nicely varied. We selected the hotel primarily because it was within walking distance of the Opera Bastille but little did we know what a perfect stay this would be. The location was within walking distance of everything we needed. The hotel décor was exquisite and the rooms were delightful. The lobby and lounge area were inviting and well stocked with a computer and reading material. Wifi worked perfectly and the staff assisted with every request in a timely and eager manner. Our five day stay was literally perfect in every way without a single disappointment. We WILL be back.

    « Good weekend break. »

We stayed here in December 2015. Lovely warm welcome on arrival. We stayed in a first floor room, which was comfortable, but small. Nevertheless the bedroom facilities were fine, and the bathroom had a good shower. Breakfast was ok each morning. There are many good restaurants around the area, and the market just outside the hotel on Sunday morning is good too. It's not far from some access points to the Metro. We also used the Batobus on the river to travel around. A quiet hotel, which I could recommend for another weekend stay.

    4
« Great area, great hotel! »

Stayed here December 2015, really lovely small hotel! Friendly staff, quiet, clean room! Top tip, try Le Paris Cafe (Red cafe on a corner just before the hotel) Great food/friendly service! There are many restaurants near this hotel, fantastic French food! I would stay again & look forward to it!

« A Quiet, Comfortable Room in Great Location »

I visited Paris for the weekend and stayed in the Bastille because it is less touristy than the popular areas, but still close to everything either by foot or Metro. The staff was fantastic, getting my into my room at 10:30 am, which was nice after a 5 am arrival into CDG. The room was simple. but quite, and the bathroom was spacious, and the front window opened to the Marché Bastille. The breakfast and service were very good, and there is a cafe next door. I will definitely return on my next visit.

« Great rooms, location and people »

A warm welcome was received when we arrived and all the staff we met during our 3 night stay were friendly, helpful and generally fantastic! The room we were in was at the top of the hotel and facing the bvd, giving us great views of the bastille monument and the slightly far away eiffel tower from our small balcony. A comfy bed and powerful shower provided great basics. The hotel really helped make our trip to this beautiful city and we'd definitely come back to this region and this hotel.

« Excellent base to explore the Bastille and Marais »

Very good little hotel with all the necessary amenities and a very helpful staff. Our room was on the small side but recently remodeled in a modern style with a clean modern bathroom, and a little fridge/mini-bar. We had a lovely balcony overlooking the beautiful tree-lined Blvd Richard Lenoir and the Brequet Sabin Metro stop was literally steps away. Fantastic location- a few blocks or so from Place de Voges, Canal St.Martin and all the nightlife, clubs and restaurants of the Rue de la Roquette and the Bastille. I would definitely stay again and recommend it highly.

    « Superb service »

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at this wonderful three star hotel but made 5 star because of the superb service! Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff, particularly on Reception...by employing Idriss you have performed a masterstroke.....don't let him ever leave! He is a very special human being. The 2 others on reception are also excellent.

Our room was lovely good size for Paris location is very safe and very central. Breakfast was very good with a great selection and pleasant service. We have to say a special thank you to the manager who went to a lot of effort to help us print out our boarding passes. We would recommend this hotel to friends and family we will be back

Had a really nice stay here, always greeted by friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are clean, nicely laid out with air conditioning and everything you could need, having a pleasant view. Breakfast was simple but nicely done. Location is good with transport links very nearby so your able to get everywhere you would like to and the hotel was good value for money all things considered, would definitely recommend!

    « Really nice hotel »

My wife and I, and two of our daughters stayed here for three nights in the last week of October. The hotel and interior looked exactly as it does in the photos, clean, modern and well maintained. Everything in the room worked, the décor was pleasant and very clean. It didn't look tired and in need of a good makeover. The breakfast was fine, the staff were very friendly and had we needed any I have no doubt they would have been equally helpful. The hotel is very close to a Metro station, but most of the time we walked the one stop down to 'Bastille' where you have the choice of several metro lines. I wouldn't hesitate to recommends this hotel.

This hotel is clean and near a underground station. Great location and helpful staff. My room had a balcony and view of the park and the outdoor market. Would love to stay there on my next visit to Paris. 5 stars plus :)

« Great Hotel in Bastille Area »

This is a gem of a hotel located in the Bastille area. The #1 line in Bastille is just a straight 8 minute walk. The front desk staff do their best every day in a friendly manner to answer their guests' queries and also order transportation for them. The room has high quality finishes and bathroom fixtures. The interior is classy and there is still room to move. Housekeeping does a very fine job of keeping everything very clean. The location is fine, with lots of supermarkets around, and also low priced restaurants nearby. There is a self-service laundry place 2 minutes away. Oh, and don't forget the Sunday Bastille Market across the street that goes on from 7AM to 2PM. This hotel is a great find.

    « C'est bon! »

My husband and I are here for a week. We explored the option of Airbnb but finally settled for a known entity. The hotel is centrally located with easy access to the Metro. We mostly walked all over Paris so this location is also good for walkinfg. The staff are very friendly, polite and helpful. What a welcoming way for visitors! We appreciated this. Breakfast is good, bed is very comfortable, bathroom is modern and clean. WiFi was mostly good and it is free. It is definitely a good stay for us and we would recommend this hotel. My only complaint is that I cannot use the hairdryer in the bathroom. This seems to be typical in Europe. However, a workable solution is either a longer power cord or better placed mirror so at least I can use the mirror while drying my hair.

This was a very nice hotel. The rooms were modern and clean. Had a balcony and view of the park. It was a very comfortable stay. As it was our honeymoon they gave us a bottle of champagne. There is a market at the park on Thursdays. Location is not near main tourist attractions but there is a street 3-4minute walk from hotel which comes to life at night with restaurants and bars.

The Best Western Marais Bastille is a fantastic boutique style hotel in a great Paris location. I especially liked the breakfasts and the very courteous staff. The beds are comfortable on a quiet boulevard street.

« Great location for short Paris stay »

My husband and I were very impressed with our stay at this Best Western. It has comfortable, modern, cozy rooms that appear to have been renovated. We had room 65 which was on the top floor with a view of the Bastille from the balcony. There is everything you need in the room including coffe and tea. There is a nice seating area in the lobby and the breakfasts were filling and with variety. The staff is very kind and helpful and the price on Expedia was reasonable for Paris. The room was very quiet at night with the windows closed. We highly recommend this mid range hotel in Paris.

« Excellent service and location when visiting the old Marais area of Paris. »

I have had a few of my travel club visiting this hotel and got nothing but excellent service over the last 6 months. They were treated with respect and the staff was really helpful in taking side trips. They indicated that they had a top room with GREAT views. I now have booked a room there on the 8 Oct and looking forward to enjoying a wonderful four days.

This little hotel is well placed on the edge of the Marais district and 5 minutes walk from Place de la Bastille. Although the rooms (including the lift) are fairly small, the interior is very modern and absolutely immaculate. The staff could not be more helpful and made us feel very welcome. Our family group were in 2 separate rooms on the 6th (top) floor and from our balcony we had a great view across the city to the Arc de Triomphe which was illuminated at night. There is an outstanding market in the street outside the hotel on Sunday mornings. It will be our first choice on every future visit to Paris.

« Great service, price, and location »

Moved here last minute after leaving a terrible Airbnb apartment. Chose it primarily for the location. There are good transport connections, especially to Gare du Nord if you're arriving by Eurostar. Very close to all the bars and restaurants of Le Marais and walkable to much of central Paris. The whole place has obviously been recently renovated and is clean and very well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful and the place has the feel of a family-run hotel. Would definitely stay here again.

Simple but still comfortable, you'll enjoy the great breakfast and facilities nearby (restaurant, commerce and touristic attractions). It's really close to the subway station, so you'll be able to go wherever you want in Paris.

« We spent four nights at this very central location, surrounded by good eating places and right next to major outdoor mar »

Lovely hotel with.well appointed, clean and welcoming rooms. Service was of a very high standard, all staff were courteous and extremely helpful. Plenty of eating spots around and easy walking to Notre Dame nod other popular sights. Metro is 200m from hotel and is very easy to use and navigate.. Open air market (open Thursday and Sunday)is right outside and great to wander through and buy victuals for the day's sightseeing excursions. Thoroughly recommend.

Stayed four days at the hotel for my wife's birthday. One of the best locations away from the center of town but eàsily accessable to the metro. Room was wonderful and staff exceeded our expectations. They were very helpful in our side trips to Versailles and Normandy.

    « Bon! »

I found this hotel to be perfect for my visit to Paris for my vacation. The location was terrific ? close to lovely shopping in the Marais, the market on Sunday morning; close to restaurants and cafes; and the Metro station. The room was light with a lovely view of the Bastille from the balcony and was very quiet. The air conditioner worked well too which was important as it was hot. The room was clean and well equipped and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would have no hesitation in recommending or returning.

    « Friendly clean hotel »

Hotel staff were very friendly and the hotel was clean and neat. The rooms were very small and the bathroom in our room was tiny however other family members had a larger room with bigger bathroom so probably just luck of the draw. The room had very little natural light as the window led into a very small square with the windows of four other rooms so had to be careful to close the curtains so everyone couldn't see in. All in all though the hotel was nice and the size of the room etc. didn't really make much difference as we weren't in it very often anyway. Wifi available in the rooms but sometimes pretty hit and miss with signal. Very close to metro station which is handy. About a 15 minute walk to the Seine. A bit out of the centre but not too bad with the metro close by. All in all a nice hotel

« Great hotel in the Marais with incredibly curteous staff! »

I have stayed at this lovely hotel in the Marais on 28th August. It has been my 4th visit in the last 2 years. Previously I was staying in St Germain de Pres but having discovered this little gem, there has been no turning back! The hotel is well situated and their rooms are much bigger than at other hotels . They are spotlessly clean, the air conditioning a bonus in the hot summers, and the minibars are functioning. The breakfast is generous and delicious and the staff are extremely helpful and courteous - quite a novelty for Paris! I congratulate the management for the training and quality of their staff - it made such a difference to my stay, time and time again. Special mention goes to Idriss who knowing I was a regular, upgraded my room and made restaurant recommendations which were spot on! Also, to the newest recruit /stagiaire named Luc, whose manners and professionalism were outstanding as wells as his impeccable English. Another mention goes to the lovely petite Asian lady ( sorry, I never got your name!) in the breakfast room. Always smiling and welcoming and extremely efficient. Thank you all for making your clients's stay a pleasure!

    « Excellent! »

Very close to Oberkampf metro station. Lots of places to eat around. The staff was very helpful. Rooms are neat, clean and well decorated, only a bit small but that is normal for Paris. Worth every penny, excellent price. Small market right in front of the hotel on Tuesdays!

« Very nice Hotel in Marais »

very comfy, had a good time. Breakfast could be better. But all in all very good hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the rooms got everything you need. Of course they are small, but this is common in Paris. The hotel is located in Marais a very lively part of Paris with many bars and restaurants. Perfect if you wanna go out tonight. Really enjoyed the time there. Absolutely coming back.

    « very satisfied ... »

The hotel was impressive for this chain ... room was very comfortable, the shower was larger than expected, and the breakfast was awesome (due in part to the offering of brie cheese!) Nice selection of pastries, and complimentary English language newspaper. It was extremely close to a metro as well as the Bastille monument and lots of restaurants.

    « Parisan experience »

Small and perfectly formed, this hotel gave us everything we required for our stay. The staff are friendly and very helpful and the room, general décor and facilities are excellent. Quiet neighbourhood. The metro was close by which enabled us to get around Paris very easily. Lots of restaurants a few streets away and we had an excellent wedding anniversary meal there. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.
