« Weekend away with family »

Our family planned a night away so that family from Idaho could meet up with family from California. Having a heated pool was nice for the kids to enjoy and the pet friendly accommodations meant that the whole family was included. We will stay here again.

    « Needs a proper renovation »

Location is good however the hotel needs a serious renovation and the rooms need proper cleaning. We had food in our fridge from previous occupants and hair in the corners of the bathroom. Trim and doors were not painted, just primed with nail holes everywhere. Room was overall dirty. It was Thanksgiving so we understand minimal service but we never even got our beds made. Bed was not comfortable....bedding was ok.

    « Family vacation »

Bathroom remodel was poorly completed. Breakfast was good. Bed was comfy. Had a non smoking room but still smell of smoke. Internet was good. Stayed there three days. Reserved rooms on internet but did not get the room requested when we arrived. The hotel staff tried to increase rate. Had to argue and show proof of the rate from the internet.

Great breakfast. I love the variety of the food, but I missed the beacon. The room needs more cleaning specially the bathroom. Found lots of hair on the floor and tub. Room were nice and roomy. Thank you.......

Hotel was very clean. Location was easy to find. Price was a little higher than normal. Breakfast was awesome! Pool was a little small, but clean. Spa was really small, but nice & hot. Wi-Fi was slow. We will stay there again. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to visit Yuma, AZ.

« Nice place front desk ppl were so nice »

This whole place is really nice the bed was so comfortable.. room had microwave n fridge in it, the bathroom was tiny not hardly enough room to turn around in. The front desk help was really super nice they offer free water bottles I was excited because the young man told me breakfast until 10 am and we had gotten in around 1 am.. parking is pretty limited. We went to breakfast at about 9:45 am the cook was explaining he had nothing left because his boss made him cut down on food costs. He wasn't allowed to make anymore eggs sausage or potatoes.. ok whatever so my Boys and I were eating toast and yogurt and several other ppl came in after us so 10:00 on the dot he comes around tells us all to leave and shuts all the lights off, I said we are not done those ppl just got their food he says I have to close my boss cuts costs and we can't have extra I said I'm not.leaving til my kids are done eating and he said you have to leave now. I was pretty pissed so grabbed all our stuff and went outside to finish eating.. I thought that was pretty rude of him..kicking out probably 10 ppl who were still eating.. other than that guy everyone was nice.

« Home away from home »

Always happy with our stay in Yuma. Love the comfortable bed. Lots of good restaurants nearby. The happy hour and breakfast fun and tasty. Have never had problems with this Best Western. We don't travel a lot without our RV but when we do this is our favorite.

« Great Location, Amazing Service, Comfort & Attention to Detail is Outstanding »

This Best Western Inn and Suites is a great place to stay when in the Yuma, Arizona area. The hotel is conveniently located by Interstate 8, a large shopping mall and restaurants. We had the privilege being upgraded to a first floor executive suite. The room was located by the pool and PJ's Cafe. The room was nicely laid out, furnishings and king size bed were comfortable, and the extras, i.e. cook top stove with utensils, including plates and silverware , refrigerator and Jacuzzi tub were added bonuses. The free social hour was also a nice touch. Registered guest are able to receive two glasses of beer or wine. The morning buffet breakfast was outstanding. The presentation, quality and variety of food items offered was excellent. We will definitely stay at this hotel again when visiting the Yuma area. Also, visitors like us who are traveling to Los Algodones, Mexico for dental work will find that the services and amenities that this hotel provide can't be beat.

    « Two Night Stay! »

Quick trip to visit our Dentist in Algodones. We arrived on a Wednesday and found a Manager's BBQ (1st Wednesday of every month) offered between 5:30 and 6:30. Also, there is a free social hour between 5:00 to 6:30 everyday, wine and beer offered. The Inn is arranged somewhat different with all the buildings circling the pool area and restaurant. Our view from the room was at the building next to us concrete wall. Room 203-A. The room was very DARK, nice and clean and in good working order. Would we stay again, I don't think so due to the paint colors Nice breakfast included and a nice touch with the BBQ and Social hour.

« Variety of rooms in this motel »

This hotel is within walking distance to a shopping mall, theatre and many restaurants. It is also a short drive to Los Algodones, Mexico where one can find a multitude of dentists, optical shops and pharmacies. i have ow stayed here twice this year and both times have found the rooms requiring some repair, the repair was not looked after while I stayed here. The internet connection is top notch, the tv's have a guide, the swimming pool is not heated so it is only really useable during the hot summer months. The complimentary breakfast has a good variety and quality of food. The complimentary social hour in the early evening is great for beer and wine but always runs out of food early. Because I had extensive dental work done I used the upgraded room with kitchen facilities to cook my own food.

Good hidden location surrounded by woods perfect for a nice quite stay for business or leisure. Staff was nice and friendly. Fresh cookies at check in! Breakfast was good, nice comfy beds Overall a good trip!!!!

« Quirky, very good, but not my ideal for a place to stay »

Clearly the front desk people are picked/trained to provide good service. The problem I have is more the physical structure. It's got several separate buildings and is a motel like setting with rooms opening to the outside. There is a café for breakfast and also an evening drinks social hour(two drinks free). The cafe is a pleasant environment but it's also a very convoluted walk to the location by the swimming pool betwixt the buildings. For us it felt like going through a maze and we had to ask for assistance twice to find the café. The breakfast is decent but it's standard fare: eggs, potatoes, cereals, yogurts, waffle. The rooms are nice and clean, pleasant to be in so it has merit. Probably just a decision where you believe you're saving some money to be there as Yuma does have competitive hotels and nice ones for decent value. But for us it's just a personal preference to have an indoor hotel along with an indoor breakfast(i.e. all in one building-their breakfast is indoors but a totally separate location).

« Location to Old town »

Stayed here several times. Consequently, learn something new about the location. I enjoyed the easy travel access to old downtown Yuma. Besides the hotel is on the edge of a mall with all the chain stores one could want. So many activities during the fall in this Arizona city.

    3
« good shopping near hotel »

It was for just one night following an excursion to Los Algogones. This area is abundant with dentists, optometrists, and shopping in typical Mexican markets. Good food and entertainment all day long.

« Good place to stay but... »

Our room was great except the carpet was very dirty. Our small grandkids visited us in our room and their feet were black by the time they left. We tried to all visit the pool but soon discovered it wasn't heated. Although it was 90 degrees out, the pool wasn't warm enough to enjoy. The free breakfast was great and the server was terrific. Happy hour was available and included 2 free drinks and snacks.

Very clean and great location. Breakfast was great. Cleaning staff found and saved the clothes that I had left hanging in the closet. Thank you very much! Used the exercise room several days. All equipment worked well.

    « Avoid This Hotel! »

There was so much wrong with this place that I'll have to make a list: 1. First, the layout of the buildings is so awkward. Many at our conference commented about getting lost and several called it a labyrinth. And there was no easy access to the lobby and no signage to lead you there. 2. My room left a bit to be desired. Someone had started painting it then quit. There were several colors on the wall above the bathroom sink. 3. The shower did not drain, though I didn't mention it until I checked out as I didn't want them messing around in my room while I wasn't there. 4. The walkways outside the rooms, at least in my building and floor, were absolutely filthy. Not only were they littered with plastic cups and paper, they looked like they had never been washed ... all kinds of spots and sticky areas - yuck! 5. Getting the front desk to answer the phone was challenging; often I would have to dial several times, letting it ring a dozen times, even when I knew it was not a busy time of day. 6. There was supposed to be a 10 p.m. quiet time and I called at 11 to ask them to deal with the noisy people near my room. It was almost midnight, and they were still noisy so I called back. They admitted that they had not yet gotten around to looking into the problem! What kind of customer service is that? I had a terrible night's sleep. Also had a problem on a different night with men sitting on the patio above PJs and using the F bomb in every sentence; also requested help with that one. 7. And then there's the Wake-up Call or lack thereof. The first night I requested a call for 5:00 a.m. I woke up on my own before that time, then waited for the phone to ring; it never did. So I called the front desk and, when they answered, told me that there is sometimes a five-minute delay. So I had them cancel it for that day. Then on the last night I requested another 5:00 a.m. wake-up call. Luckily, I again woke up on my own. I got dressed and ready for my day and, when I left the room at 5:20 a.m., the phone had still not rung. I went to the front office and mentioned that this was the second time I didn't get a call and this time it was 20 minutes so it was just a few minutes late like they claimed the first time. They said that it must not be working and will look into it. 8. Another visit to the front desk was particularly interesting. There was another man there also waiting to be helped but no one was at the desk. I yelled "hello" several times and no one appeared, so I reached over the desk and dialed 0 to get the phone to ring. That's what it took to get the man working that morning to come to the front desk to help us! 9. Now, back to the hotel design ... The stairways didn't always make sense and weren't located in logical places. It seemed like you had to zig zag to get where you were going. Plus, at the bottom of the stairs in the middle of our building, you could not get to the parking lot without walking across loose rocks. This cannot be ADA compliant plus very awkward. 10. It was also sort of strange how many parking spaces were marked as reserved for those with mobility restrictions (which is great) plus special law enforcement slots and others. Basically, a regular guest could not park against the building; they were all designated spots. I could go on and on about this terrible place. The only redeeming values were the great breakfast at PJs, the nice staff that served us during Happy Hour, and the free bottled water in the lobby.

    « Great Wedding Night »

Great room, with jacuzzi! Spent my wedding night here with the help of a family friend Sabra. WOW, nice room, great jacuzzi what a blessing after the busy day and ceremony. Great place for a honeymoon night, or stay-cation..

    « Avoid This Hotel »

I stayed here for three nights while attending a conference. First, the layout of the hotel is so bizarre; others in my group described it as a labyrinth. It was easy to get disoriented or lost. There were so many other things wrong: 1. My shower didn't drain properly. 2. The walls were partially painted as though someone started to paint then quit. 3. The walkways outside the rooms were filthy; no only were they littered with cups and papers, they really needed to be hosed down to remove all the filth. 4. The first morning I did not get my wake-up call; when I called to complain, they said that they are just delayed by five minutes or so. 5. The second time I requested a wake-up call, it didn't come at all, 20 minutes later; I was lucky to have woken up on my own or would have missed our field trip. 6. Front desk often does not answer the phone. 7. Internet service was very weak and often disconnected. 8. It was very noisy and hotel said that they would take care of it after the 10 p.m. quiet time. I called back at midnight and they had not gotten around to dealing with it. Terrible night's sleep. The only positive things about the hotel were the free bottled water in the lobby and the breakfast and happy hour at PJs.

    « Like a comfy shoe »

One of our favorite overnight stops! The Happy Hour and free hot breakfasts have no loud TV's blaring away with arguing talk show hosts! The pool was a bit cool but refreshing and the staff is very friendly....Oh and the warm peanut butter cookies at check-in must be sampled as well!

    3
    « Just Okay »

Good location next to the mall; nice remodel, but simple and sketchy neighborhood at night. The front desk needs better training. They didn't seem to know how to handle more than one person in their lobby at a time.

« Few nights stay for dental work »

When booking the hotel it took me a bit longer than usual. Seems like every place had recent bad reviews. This hotel seemed similar to others with reviews and the price was not the cheapest either but choose it because of the chain When we arrived the front lady was pleasant and booked us in right away. If you are not good for stairs make sure you book a main floor room. The room was in great shape... looks fresh to is. Bed was great, shower was great, has a mini fridge which is nice to have. They have a pool which is a bit chilly but you get use to it quickly and honestly it felt great. The bar/cafe/restaurant at the pool is only open for breakfast and 5pm to 6:30 happy hour(which serves free beer and wine for 1.5hrs to their pattons) the restaurant stays open until 10pm but not sure what they serve. We needed to stay a couple extra nights and the front desk lady, Alexis, arranged for us to stay in the same room...which was awesome and greatly appreciated. Thank you!!! The air conditioner is really loud when it runs...if you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs it does help. Unfortunately you can hear the neighbors run the shower and their exhaust fan when in use. Im pretty sure i can hear other AC units operating in the other suites...they vibrate a little bit and you can hear that in the building. The complex itself looked good too. It has been recently updated and definitely has a clean look to it. It is evident that maintenance is ongoing. The cleaning staff were pleasant as courteous too Overall rating 4.5 bed 4.5 room 4.5 shower 4.5 service 4.5 location 4 access to room (stairs) 3 air conditioner noise

« Comfortable, Clean and Convenient »

When in Yuma, we always stay here. The rooms are very comfortable and always clean. It is convenient to many restaurants as well as fast food restaurants. The breakfast is always good. We use the swimming pool and the fitness facilities. The location is a adjacent to a large mall which is a plus.

    4
« great deal for the price »

Great value for the price. Rooms are clean and spacious. Location near the freeway, but a little difficult to find, tucked back behind competitors building. The breakfast is very good with lots of selections (eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles, fruit and pastries). I would definitely return if in the area.

Great Service Staff, no problem to check in. The staff at the front desk very helpful. The room was clean and with great amenities. Large living space with a large restroom and shower. Comfortable beds. Highly recommended and for sure I will use it again. Awesome job!!

    « Stop over »

Very pleasant overnighter. Complimentary drinks and snack by the pool. Comfortable room and excellent service. After a long drive in sweltering heat, arriving in our smart, air conditioned rooms was special. It's not a holiday resort, but if you're in the road I'd recommend this hotel.

    4
    « Visit »

The staff was very friendly and delivered extra towels and blankets within minutes of requesting to my room. The only problem that made this stay not as relaxing as I would of liked is that the guest to my left had a dark that continually was barking. If pets are allowed there should be a pet wing away from other guests without pets!

    4
    « Very Happy...Happy, Happy Happy! »

Many of the staff...especially in the dinning area were highly motivated to make us feel welcome and make our experience very enjoyable! We enjoyed our stay and the overall experience! The rooms were nice the food was great and we were very comfortable in this hotel for the three days that we were there. Good location and nice amenities.

    « Clean, maintained, but..... »

Check in was good. Got to the room and it smelled of smoke despite the fact it is a non smoking hotel. The room is very clean, but the faucet at the sink is incorrectly marked. My grandson turned on the cold water faucet and hot water came out. We had two queens, which sleeps 4 people and only had two towels. We regularly stay at BW hotels when we travel, but a bit disappointed with this one.

    « Good Value BUT.... »

I stayed here five years ago and loved it so came back. Again, clean (except for someone's bobby pin stuck under the bathroom door molding at the floor), comfortable. I started in room 119 and hated it - facing the stairs and a vending machine - very dark because of that, and very dark decor (which is strange given how the room gets virtually no light from outside). I switched after a few days to 215 and LOVED that room. Bright, light decor (go figure - why not light decor in a dark room??) and overlooking the pool. Staff are amazing.... the guys at PJ's are lovely and make a great breakfast (free), Jesse the maintenance guy drove me to the border when I needed to go - super nice guy, Ashley and Jeff (I think his name is??) at the front desk are so happy and friendly. I spent a LOT of time at the front office and this is the really bad part... There was NO INTERNET in either of my rooms for the entire two weeks. As a result I missed getting a $12,000 contract - missed the time sensitive message. It was absolutely unacceptable that it was not repaired in that amount of time. They said there was someone there every day attempting to fix it... I don't know if that was true. One of the girls at reception (not Ashley) claimed she couldn't smell anything the day they had a big issue with the plumbing in the bathrooms there and the place stank of sewage, so honesty is apparently not the best policy there. That made me doubt the truth of the repair attemps to the internet. Regardless, it was not fixed in 14 days. Just not okay in this day and age when people count on it for everything. I am from out of the country so using my own provider was not an option. Roaming charges would have been astronomical. I was given a $89 discount when paying my invoice, due to this. A nice gesture but sure doesn't begin to cover the contract I lost. I will stay here again IF they can confirm that the internet is operating in all rooms because it really is a great place. And this time I found and used the little library. Loved it.

    5
    « Great Hotel!!! »

I've been staying at this hotel for 20+ years and this is the place to stay when and if you have to stay in Yuma, the rooms are awesome and cheaper than most hotels in the area. Free happy hour and breakfast, nice pool.

    3
« THEY NEED TO DO BETTER »

Their internet service did not work and there was rust in the bathtub and mold on the ceiling over the bath tub. Not impressed. There was a old french fry in the control panel of the air conditioning unit and a piece of old candy in the corner next to the rear leg of the desk. The air conditioning unit worked but it blew cold air directly at your when you layed in bed and froze you out. There was no way to redirect the cold air.

« Easy access to Mall/Resteraunts and crossing boarder »

Nice clean hotel and friendly staff. All updated furnishings and very clean. Breakfast service in restaurant was good quality and friendly service. The grab bar literally came out in my hand as I grabbed it in the tub. Held with short screws. Not secure at all. Plenty of hot water and good clean towels not worn ones. I miss having a clock in the room; you need to turn on TV or put on glasses to look at your cell phone.

    « Vern's Review »

A GREAT place to stay, with a very pleasing staff! Rooms are clean and actually smells good. I have worked for Doubletree Hotels and this Best Western in Yuma, AZ I felt had a cleaner and better attitude towards making my stay pleasant.

« Great customer service, location, and hotel »

The customer service I received here was top notch! The breakfast here is really great. There is also a daily happy hour event. This is a great location right by all of the shopping areas. You can definitely tell that this is one of the nicer places to stay at in Yuma.

    « Here for work »

This hotel is conveniently located next to numerous shops and a movie theatre. There are many nearby attractions if your into nature and history. The room has a microwave and refrigerator. It's not very modern, kind of dingy and not really as cleaned as I would like. When taking a shower I had to play with the nozzle as turning it all the way to hot makes it cold. The hotel features a library (cool), basketball court and a cafe. The highlight which I would give 5 stars is the cafe. The staff are super friendly and Accommodating. They offer complimentary breakfast to include eggs, sausage, you can make your own waffles, yogurt,etc.. you can watch the staff make your food. Additionally the cafe has happy hour from 5:30 to 6:30. You get two free drinks Wow!!! One was enough for me, I ordered chardonnay and they weren't stuff with it!!! The gym...one treadmill wasn't working and the machines are oooooold. Walked to the movies and also visited the San dunes which is about 15 minutes away I'd recommend this hotel.

    « Wonderful hotel! »

I luckily found this pet friendly hotel after our RV broke down in Yuma. We were fully packed with enough food for the weekend plus our two dogs. The room we got had a small fridge, which we filled, and microwave. The bed was very comfortable! Our room was close to the pool and the little cafe that served a great complimentary breakfast and a happy hour! We also discovered a large, fenced basketball court that worked well for a pet run area. The staff here is fantastic and was always happy to help with our needs. We were able to grill some meats that had thawed. Our only complaint is that the location of our room got a little noisy because of the close proximity to the cafe and pool. If we stay here again we would ask for something away from the pool.

    3
    « Lovley outdoors area »

I would have given this a good rating instead of average except for a few things: 1. Rust in the bathtub (doesn't affect shower) 2. water damage above the shower (doesn't affect shower) 3. Toilet clogged on husband twice (not on me or kids though) 4. Husband found a pair of black socks in the corner of the room by his side of bed (Yuck) This is an older property, things aren't going to be perfect. I didn't mind the shower items above, the pressure and water temperature were still fine. I didn't have problems with the plumbing, my husband only had an issue. The socks were kinda gross though. THAT could have been avoided by the housekeeping staff. The grounds must have been recently upgraded? They were very nice. The kids had a fantastic time in the pool and the outdoor area was wonderful. I didn't have the free breakfast, but the family went down for it and they said it was very nice. We went into the office 3 times. 2 of the 3 times there wasn't anyone at the desk. That was frustrating.

« Business Trip to Yuma, AZ »

Hotel is very nice and staff is very accommodating. Have stayed at this property many times and will again in the future if possible. Breakfast is among the best I've ever experienced even when compared to high end properties. Staff responded well to a major power outage by extended happy hour and providing patron with "beverages" to make the time required for it's repair to mass more quickly.

I've stayed here twice. Each time I got superlative care by staff. They are helpful and courteous. The rooms are a great value and they welcome pets. I didn't partake, but they offer happy hour with free wine. My grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed the free breakfast and again the staff was very accommodating to their needs (and wants).

« Large Room, Small Price »

Booked two king bed, non-smoking rooms online for a great AARP rate. We arrived before noon and asked if one couple could check in ASAP (normal check in is 3:00 PM). No rooms were available yet (check out is noon) but the pleasant young woman at the front desk was very accommodating and expedited cleaning so the room was available shortly after lunch. Both rooms were oversized, clean and fairly quiet. The property is near I-8 (Exit 2), a shopping mall and many restaurants (the Olive Garden is very good). There is a happy hour (5:00 to 6:30), full hot breakfast (5:30 to 10:00) and outdoor pool. There was a short walk from the parking area to our room and quite a few stair steps to the happy hour/breakfast area. Overall - pleasant staff, very nice room, bargain rate and definitely stay again on our next trip to Yuma.

« Oasis in the Desert »

This hotel is in a very handy location to shopping, restaurants and the highway. It appears to be newly remodeled and the rooms were very clean. I requested a smoking room and oftentimes these rooms are in an undesirable location and really smell!!! But his was not the case- We had a very nice room and the breakfast was very good. Would recommend to others!

    « Sweet Suite! »

Wow! We thought we could easily find a place in Yuma, as easily as we had every other previous stop. BUT NO, this was opening day of dove season (in the desert? I had no idea.) All the hotels we usually counted on were full. So perfect son back at his home base, found this wonderful Best Western with suites. This was new for us and very upscale compared to the standard BW in other states. Comfortable beds. plenty of hot water. PERFECT!

« Bad Management, Bad AC, just plain horrible »

Well, this whole situation really sucked. We were traveling to San Diego and always stop in Yuma for the kids. We booked online to have a pull out sofa plus a king bed room plus mini fridge (we have food allergies in the family so traveling can be tricky and some type of fridge is a MUST". We confirmed several times through the hotel and our online booking this is the case with the room- frig (check), pull out sofa (check), king bed (check) all for 2 kids and 2 adults. When we arrived around 530pm the were happy to be at the locale and ready for the pool. BUT unfortunately the room did not have a pull out sofa, only a chair and king bed. We called the front and they said they had no such room with a king and sofa bed. We showed them the online capture of our room description from their website. They then said, ok we will move you to this and after over 1.5hrs we got new keys. Now we got to that room and the frig was not working (it needed to go through a defrost cycle). They said, wait and we will look for a new one. 2hrs later they still had not gotten back to us. We called and they said they could not find one so just bring the food up there to the employee frig. We went up there told them we had milk for our 2yr/4yr old as well as some other items and please be careful to not spill. Well they spilled ALL OVER and we were basically left with nothing, not reimbursed a dime and bascially after the horrific stay told management/owner would call to check and maybe then help us out on our issues (we would give them another shot if they had) BUT we never got a call, email or text. This is the worst stay I have had and the most exhausting just waiting, waiting and waiting for someone to help us. WOULD NEVER, EVER recommend this hotel. EVER.

Had to switch rooms twice due to air conditioning failure. Had a leaking toilet took an unacceptable amount of time to repair. Wi-Fi was very intermittent when it worked, however wasn't working the majority of my 3 week stay.

    « A very good Best Western »

We needed a night in Yuma in late August and first of all were surprised by how busy the town was... This is one of the nicer Best Westerns of many we have stayed in. The breakfast selection was excellent, coffee good and the rooms very clean. It is brand new so that is to be expected. The pool area is nicely appointed and attractive rather than the often found indoor muggy pools. Staff was nice.

    « Yuma's best »

The Best Western in Yuma is a great place to stay. Good service, helpful staff, and nice rooms. The only disadvantage is that many of the rooms are up stairs, so I always request a ground floor room and usually get it. The breakfast and happy hour are excellent.

    « Yuma Gem »

This property far exceeds what you'd expect at a Best Western Hotel. I was very impressed and that is a high bar having owned a travel agency for 15 years and a well traveled travel professional of over 20 years. I've stayed in some of the best and I was extremely pleased with this property. I would stay here again and highly recommend it. I don't do that often.

    « Great Accommodations »

Stayed at this hotel before and was very pleased. Was back in the area and did not look to stay anywhere else. Happy hour was exceptional, nice way to meet new people. Staff was great! Check-in and check-out was easy and fast. Close Highway, shopping and restaurants!!

    « Very Good »

Hotel was perfect for 1 night as we headed to La Jolla, CA. Room was nicely designed, bed comfortable, and price was on point. Like others stated there was a happy hour and full breakfast included in price. Our room on second floor was comfortable size, not a suite, but bath tub appeared to have paint chipping but overall everything was good. Towels nice and thick. Pool was ok only as appears the based in painted a dark blue and water appeared to be dirty but it was just the color of the pool. Not very appealing.

    « Relaxing Family Atmosphere »

Even though I didn't get to stay in the room that much, (the Solar team kept me away and very busy all day long), the Family Atmosphere made coming back to the room from a very long and hot day extremely relaxing.

« Hilton quality at Motel 6 price »

The property is well appointed, the staff were beyond helpful and kind, and the price was unbeatable. If you are in need of a room in Yuma AZ, this is the place. Easy on and off the 10, and shopping/food within close walking distance.

« Great place to stay »

Yuma is the stop for us on the way to California tried this hotel for the first time and was plesantly surprised . Hotel was the most comfortable nights sleep we've had in a hotel room in a long time. Staff is curteous and helpful went over and beyond you regular customer service and willingness to accommodate you needs. Happy hour with free beer in the evening and breakfast buffet in morning (with real eggs) are a good way to enjoy your visit. Outdoor pool and exercise room also available. Clean rooms at a reasonable price. This is our go to stop in Yuma from now on...

    « We stay here »

We come in for family birthday celebration each year. We have decided that this hotel is our best choice. Close to the mall, restaurants, movies. Very comfortable with a nice lobby and swimming pool. Very quiet and clean rooms.

« Great hotel, great people »

Had excellent service all the way around at this Best Western. Level of service was higher than expected in all areas and employees are super friendly and helpful. There is a great business center and good breakfast buffet. The only improvement could be fans available for those who request them.

« Go to river hotel »

The staff here are awesome and the amenities exceed expectations for the price. Pool is clean and has newer furniture. The rooms are all updated and comfortable. The breakfast selection has good variety- even choices for my picky kids. We visit here several times a year and are never dispappointed

« Inexpensive clean hotel with a lot of amenities »

I chose to stay at this hotel on a road trip without prior research because it is a Best Western. I was very pleased. The hotel was reasonably priced for a large room with a window which opened and a good air conditioner. It was very clean and new. The breakfast buffet was actually amazing, with scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles, packets of nutella, oatmeal, and more. Coffee was good. There is free bottled water. It was relatively quiet but if you are sensitive ask for a room that is not facing the pool.

    « Stay in Yuma »

The Air Conditioning was perfect. It cooled as it is designed to do. The Room was newly renovated and it was clean. We enjoyed the hotel greatly and it was very easy to find. When you are in Yuma you should eat at Taco Salsa on 4th Avenue. Try the Chicken Enchiladas. They are great.

    4
    « Very tidy »

The hotel was accessible and the staff very welcoming. The rooms were a bit on the too small side but were quite adequate- certainly no complaints. The happy hour gathering in the bistro was fun, the meals were basic but filling. Would happily stay here again.

    « Great Visit »

We had a great stay here. Everything went smoothly with the check in and check out process. Family breakfast was a hit. The entire Staff was very professional and accommodating. I loved the Happy Hour at the pool. The hotel was recently updated and modern. Very clean. I only wish Bloody Mary's were served at breakfast.

    « nice rooms »

Overall it was a good stay. Beds were a little too firm for me but I have a bad back so hard to find a good one for me. Room was clean, service was good. They have a little pub that serves burgers right out side the room. Liked everything except I was unable to get a wifi signal in hour room which was actually pretty close to main lobby. Everything else was very good.

« An excellent place to stay. »

The location of the hotel is excellent, with excellent restaurants and shopping adjacent. The beds were very comfortable and the breakfast had a variety that was surprisingly complete. My friends and I will stay there any time we're in the area.

    « Great place »

Best Western Yuma mall is awesome. They will give you a ride and pick you up anywhere within 5 miles. Makes going to dinner, when you don't have a vehicle, less restrictive. Also, if in slow season, you may be offered an upgrade to a jaccuzzi room for an additional $20. I even ask sometimes, and if in slow season, they are happy to do it. Never had a problem at this hotel, and I stay here 8-10 a year.

    « Great Value »

The front desk people were courteous, helpful and friendly. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the continental breakfast acceptable. There was a pool and exercise facility. The beds were comfortable as well as the pillows.

« Comfortable Sleep. A little slow on the draw at the front desk. »

We arrived later than our regular scheduled check in time. I said that we would be there around 11-12 and then sent an email to the property at 9 saying it would be closer to one. When we arrived, they said they had to cancel our booking as their policy is to cancel all bookings where people haven't checked in by midnight so they can start their new day. After staying at another Best Western elsewhere later in our trip we found out this simply wasn't true and that they have 24 hour check ins. The guy who tended to us while nice took almost 30 minutes to check us in and we were all getting super tired and grumpy after an already very long day. Luckily the beds were comfortable and they had significant parking for our large truck and trailer we were hauling. .

« Stopover on weekend trip to San Diego »

Great Value, above average clean rooms, very comfortable bed, great water pressure with plenty of hot water, outstanding hot 7 cold breakfast buffet. Definitely would stay again on a trip to CA or back. Somewhat understaffed at the front desk, required 2 people.

Even though the temps were hot outside the air conditioner worked great and we kept cool the whole time. The breakfast was fantastic and the staff was pleasant and professional. The decor could use some upgrading but it was fine. The room was clean and everything worked. I would recommend staying at this Bestwestern

Stayed here for my Birthday. Had a great visit, was upgraded to a Suite with a hot tub. Excellent service and the Hotel staff were just great. Happy Hour and breakfast were very good. Couldn't ask for a better Birthday stay!!! Room was very clean, and considering it was by the pool very quiet! Had a sitting area, kitchenette and hot tub in the bedroom with a king size bed. Very comfortable bed with lots of and snoring room..

Beginning with the first night as soon as we got to the room I lean over to turn off the lights I seen candy wrappers on the side of the bed okay no biggie the maid missed a spot the next day we woke up early to attend a funeral and we returned to take a nap around 3 pm I was awaken by banging, scraping, hammering I believe drilling from the room next door no one informed me that this would be going on and it went on for a least 30 minutes. Next the draining of the water in the sink was very slow like clogged I called the front desk they sent some one which took about a hour he came look at it said it was fine call back if I had any more issues well my kids went to brush their teeth and the water started to fill up, I called again he came back with Draino in and also realized that that their was no chain linking the stopper and the piece to lift it up so he had to put one on. The maids we had to hunt down to clean our room then when they cleaned it left towels but no face towels, no bags for the ice, we took our own trash out and every day we had to ask for face towels and to have our room cleaned and it was constant battle because the maid assigned to my room didn't speak any English. before departing I look under the bed to assure nothing was left behind and do you know it was all kinds of trash (not from us) under the bed yuck I wish I would have look in the beginning of our stay because I would have left. Last and most importantly I place a set of earrings and necklace on the night stand when I returned the room was cleaned and when I went to put my jewelry on I found my earrings on the floor next to the bed and night stand and no necklace I search all around the room for my necklace and nothing check my bags nothing so magically my necklace came up missing. I couldn't wait to check out

I was in Yuma because of dental work in Mexico. This hotel is easily located off the highway. Great staff and clean comfortable rooms. The evening get-togethers in the lounge area was fun. 2 free drink minimum . Breakfast was outstanding; no matter what your choice is. Can't wait to stay here again.

    « Very good stay-Excellent breakfast. »

We came out to Yuma from San Diego just to check it out. 119 degree heat is truly an oven! Check in was great and room was very good and the air worked well. Shower was good. Bed was a little soft for my taking. Lots of stores around the immediate area and easy access to interstate. Staff was helpful. Breakfast was excellent and the highlight. The 2 guys making the hot breakfast took pride in their cooking and preparation. You don't see that elsewhere. Everything was delicious. They even had bananas, a sign of a good breakfast area. Overall, it was a very good stay and a great price. Don't skip breakfast!

One of the nicest BW's we have ever stayed in ? and we have stayed in a lot of them all across the US. We got a goody bag at check-in, which is always nice, and were offered a complementary bottle of ice cold water. Great room with big HD TV, good WiFi, fridge and very comfortable bed. The staff was very friendly. Great happy hour and breakfast (scrambled eggs, bacon, tater tods,...) at PJ's. Located in a shopping mall. We will definitely stay here again.

What a great find! This hotel is so compact and ready to serve the travelers. Really nice and very clean rooms, with bedroom, living room, great kitchen. They offers a happy hour with two free drinks. A wonderful free hot breakfast. They have a nice area with tables with umbrellas and also offer Bar B Ques. While we were having breakfast we had a chance to meet Chris Schilt the General Manager, he stopped by our table to see if we were having a nice stay. The staff were friendly and helpful.

« First stay at Best Western Yuma AZ »

I was surprised as I thought Best Westerns were cut rate motels. The customer service was exemplary! Especially Jeff. There were amenities we didn't use, but I was impressed with their FREE happy hour and they also have extremely affordable rate for pets.

« Great Hotel, Great Staff »

We were on a road trip through the southwest and stayed at the Yuma Mall Hotel unfortunately only for 1 night. The hotel was clean, staff unbelievable, and the amenities great (breakfast, happy hour, pool). The staff appeared to try to do everything to make our stay enjoyable. Great location and enjoyed our stay and would have liked to stay longer but had a flight to catch in Las Vegas.

We started using this BW Yuma Palms a couple years ago. We usually go to Yuma twice, sometime 3 times a year. This is the best place to stay for the value. Breakfast is wonderful, nice to have a fitness center when I can use it, and it is convenient for shopping, and getting to Algadones!

« Doesn't get any better then this! »

I can't say enough about this property. I would have to say one of the nicest places I've stayed yet. The staff is very nice and helpful. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and well appointed. Large tv with micro/fridge coffee maker. The onsite cafe was a real nice bonus. With evening drinks available it made for a pleasurable stay. Hated to leave but will definitely be back. Thank you for a very nice visit.

    « Great stay! »

Stayed 2 nights. The service was top notch. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. My only complaint would be that the towels feel like sandpaper, but everything else more than makes up for it. The newly remodeled rooms are very comfortable. I'd stay here again and recommend this place in a hot minute.

« Best place to stay!!! »

The most comfortable beds like sleeping on a pillow! The rooms were beautiful and very clean! They had a refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, and a cafe. The free breakfast was delicious! The breakfast consisted of eggs, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, cereal, waffles, yogurt, bagels, toast, fresh fruits and lots more not mentioned. Jacuzzi, pool, and beautiful landscape. This is the best place I have stayed at so far!!!! Will stay again most definitely!!

« Comfortable accommodations and good pit stop »

We chose this hotel on our way into San Diego. It had everything we needed for a comfortable night's stay. Comfy beds, plenty of hot water, two TV's in our 2 queen bed 2 room suite, good wi-fi. Air conditioning worked like a charm. Breakfast was very good with both hot and cold foods and plenty of options for the health-conscious. I wasn't crazy about the coffee...they need to serve a better brand. Everyone I met from front desk, through the halls to the breakfast room were all friendly employees. I thought that was nice. Gym room small but clean and adequate for commuters, didn't try pool but looked clean. Plenty of parking. I recommend this hotel.

    « 2nd Home in May »

After staying in one place for 3 weeks you get to know the place. The people that are the spirit of this place make this a great place to stay. Jesse and Mannie's morning breakfast is always hot and delicious and Jesse is always there if you need a hug to get your day started. The housekeeping staff are the best. I can honestly say I never saw them but my room was cleaned daily and Sandra would even leave me notes. Chris who i think keeps the place going was the one I saw the most. He was always on the go on the grounds always smiling. I had one issue where they were remodeling the room next door late into the evening. I went to the front desk and they had the workers quit for the night. The next day I was moved to a presidential suite. The only downer at all was the noise factor. My partner in another room was by the pool and he just turned up the tv. Me I am use to quietness so I never got use to the steet noise or the parking lot noise. It was alot better once I was moved so I would recommend a room on the back side if you are no use sensitive. If I am ever to return to Yuma, I am staying here again. I will miss my new friends here.

« Old feeling but upgraded »

My stay was a week day. I was surprised how busy the hotel was. The lobby are was nice and had been updated. The room felt like I needed a Tom Selleck mustache to fit in. It had a wet bar and mirrored sliding closet doors. While it had been updated the layout still felt dated. The free breakfast was well worth the stay vs. other hotels. Overall I had a good experience and would stay here again if the price was right.

    5
    « A great place to stay »

We stop here every time we go to San Diego, which is 4 or 5 times a year. We stay on the way West, and on the return East. We've been doing this for at least 3 years, and the place is the perfect place to stay. Very well run. The value is usually excellent, for example $79.00 / night. When they are busy, it is higher, however. But you can't go wrong for service, cleanliness, breakfast and a great pool if you are hauling kids.

    « This place is a gem »

Wow, I can't say enough wonderful things about this hotel. My expectations were completely blown away! All staff members I interacted with were extremely friendly and committed to delivering the highest levels of customer service, but there are two particular stand-out employees: Juan and Jessie. We arrived late at night and couldn't find our hotel room. We were exhausted and my mom can't walk long distances, so we couldn't really walk around the facility to find the hotel room. Juan was extraordinarily kind and patient and walked us from the lobby right to our hotel room, asking if there was anything else he could do. The next day we ran into him and he asked how my mom was doing. Such a wonderful, thoughtful gesture! Jessie at PJ's restaurant has a wonderful, gregarious personality that makes the dining experience very pleasant and enjoyable. The amenities inside the room are top-notch. The bed is ultra comfortable, the kitchen is nicely equipped with a modern fridge, and the TV has wonderful channel selections. At times it felt like I was in a resort. Plus, you can't beat the price. What a gem of a hotel. I need to find an excuse to go to Yuma just to go back to this hotel!!

Overall, our stay was pleasant. The hotel has been going through a renovation. It looks brand new from the exterior view. Room itself was very nice, but still had some items that needed to be replaced like the shower faucet needs replacing. Just a few little things, but overall very nice room. I always enjoy a room with a refrigerator and a microwave. Great extra add on.

I did not expect such a nice, clean room, considering it was one set aside for travelers with pets. There's a great dog park located nearby which made it great for him!

Hotel was above average as usual. The beds and pillows are average but suffice for my needs. They open the breakfast at 0530 to cater to the working class with a hot breakfast. The breakfast includes eggs, sausage gravy/biscuits', potatoes, and a meat product. The staff is very courteous and friendly.

« Nice Place to Stay »

We were pleasantly surprised how affordable the stay was compared to the services and cleanliness of the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. « Just what we needed »

We stayed here for one night on our touring trip around Nevada, Arizona, and California. On the leg from Phoenix to San Diego we wanted to break the trip with an overnight stay and found this Best Western property excellent value and great accommodation. We found time to relax by the outdoor pool and Jacuzzi, and took advantage of the free drink happy hour at PJ's. Our stay was made even better by the complementary upgrade to a suite. Would stay there again if ever passing this way.

« Great Place in Yuma »

Every time we stay here it is amazing! We have stayed several times in the last month, and at every stay the service has been great! Roy ( at the front desk) always goes above and beyond to take care of us. The rooms are always clean and the price is reasonable. Everywhere you go, the staff is friendly and helpful. The hot breakfast is great, and so is complimentary Happy Hour! It is very close to shopping and food.

    5
« We really enjoyed staying at this place »

Great location and walking distance to a lot of places, if you don't have a car and don't mind a short stroll. Love the staff at PJ's bar, so friendly and breakfast is wonderful. The social hour with free drinks is a very rare treat from a hotel, but this place has got it. Love the pool, clean just like the rooms are modern and good size. They even offer a shuttle service to the border for a decent price. We hear a bit of traffic from interstate but it's not bad. If and when we come back to Yuma, we will come back to this great hotel.

    5
« Look No Further. Love the perks! Like: FREE BEER AND WINE (Social hour) »

Way more than I was expecting. The FREE Social Hour at PJ's Cafe wasn't awkward nor skimpy on quantity. It was boisterous and fun like a local bar. 5:00-6:30 daily young and old come have a cold one in the bar, on the patio, even on the cushy loungers in the POOL area! I didn't see Snacks advertised, but sure enough, a little nourishment was provided as well. AS FOR THE ROOM: Ours was very quiet, facing the parking lot (I read the pool side can be louder) The temp was perfect- consistently- and AC was only a low hum, never clanging off/on. SHOWERS were glorious. A REAL hair dryer is provided. All new granite counter, new microwave and fridge. Comfortable Beds with variety of pillows. My daughter will attend AWC and I told her coach to network with this hotel to support it with their guests! Looking forward to more visits.

« Great Hotel suites closest to Cracker Barrel ! »

We have stayed here before and have enjoyed each stay in the suites. We travel from Los Angeles to the closest Cracker Barrel and this Hotel stay puts the icing on the cake. The suites with the Jacuzzi really put the exclamation on relaxing. Both the wife and I came home with pictures of the room to rant about the amazing deal we received and the room. We recommend this experience to our family and friends. Will also be doing some facebook post also.

« Great value but noisy »

For the most part, we had a very pleasant experience at this hotel. All the staff was wonderful; the room was comfortable, clean, and upscale with fast WIFI; and the location was conveniently located near shopping and restaurants. It was extremely noisy, though. Most of the rooms overlook the pool and community eating area, and all the noise - especially screaming kids and laughing adults enjoying the pool - from the centralized area traveled right into our room for hours on end. It's not that I'm against people enjoying their stay, especially the kids, it's that the layout of the entire property was not designed very well to ensure some level of peace and quiet for the majority of the guests.

    5
    « Better Best Western »

This is the nicest Best Western I have ever stayed in - was more like a Hilton. The room was great. The buffet was hot and good food (okay I just ate greek yogurt and fruit, but loved it). The pool was good. The gym was good. Seriously, this place was above expectations!

    4
« Nice room, poor service »

The room was clean, spacious, had a kitchen with fridge, stove and microwave, free wifi. Comfortable bed. Small sitting room. Close to mall with many places to eat. Free breakfast and happy hour. A good value I highly recommend...except front desk clerk, a somewhat stout middle-aged man, was quite unpleasant, even rude. They could work on their hospitality.

    5
    « Business »

The hotel is well maintained, looks freshly painted, land scalping is maintained, the rooms are clean, the staff are most friendly and helpful. At breakfast the traditional scrambled eggs did not seem like small rubber ball like most free-breakfast scrambled eggs, they actually were moist and eatable; keep the cook.

This hotel is a nice facility located right in the Yuma Palms Mall complex. Vey easy to find coming in from the North and centrally located. Our room was a suite and was spacious and comfortable. Bed was a 10. Staff was the best you could ask for anywhere. Price was excellent.

    « Great pool! »

The pool area has a sofa set under a covered pergola- much like a high end apartment complex pool would have. The staff was so friendly and the location was great. The mall and a dozen restaurants are walking distance. Didn't take advantage of the social hour at night but the cookies in the lobby were delicious!

« Close to outlet shopping »

Staff very welcoming upon arrival, room wasn't quite ready so we went and had a bite right across the street where there is a big outlet mall with lots of dining and shopping. Room was extra large with king bed, sofa, sitting area, wet bar and desk area. Nicely decorated and fair size bathroom with jacuzzi tub. For all you smokers there are only 3 designated smoking areas on the property. There is happy hour every afternoon in the little restaurant where guests get 2 free drinks and the complimentary breakfast is also there in the morning. Nice pool and hot tub.

    « Excellent value »

Ask for room that is not facing interstate as the truck traffic is quite loud. each night you get 2 beers or 2 glasses of wine complimentary, Breakfast is very fresh and with quite a variety to choose from.

« Clean room, nicely furnished Great front desk personnel »

Front staff was very professional even though I did not have a reservation (Ramona) went above and beyond to find me a room on the ground floor. The room was very nice, furnished with comfortable beds, nice flat screen TV and even a microwave and refrigerator. If you want a clean and comfortable place to stay I highly recommend the Best Western.

« Okay for Yuma... Elsewhere, I would have been disappointed »

Old property. Odd rooms with mismatched furniture. Confusing layout leads to long walks. Another guest told us they 'black lighted' their room. They wished they hadn't. The sofa was covered - ugh. Good water pressure and hot showers. Has a pool and basketball court and an onsite restaurant. Easy to walk to the mall for more options. Nothing spectacular... Your in Yuma. Sleep and move on.

« Staff was amazing, suite was outstanding. »

Stayed in a suite around the corner from the café. The room was huge, great amenities (stove top was a huge plus). Everything was clean. It was a great place. This Best Western is on par with a Marriot or Starwood property.

« Clean, Comfortable, Professional, Meets the budget too! »

I'm a traveler and the things I look for are comfy bed, outlets to plug my stuff into, clean, breakfast offers a nice benefit. I know hotels will show some wear and tear even though they try to keep up with it, but it is not the highest on my list. Do i have an table to put and plug my laptop? Is there a fridge and microwave. There are no funky smells when i enter the room. The ice machine is clean and the ice clear. These are a YES at this property. So I will stay again. If these are the things you look for then this is a nice property for you. ps there is a pool and hot tub too!

« Good place to stay, if you can find it. »

tucked away in a major shopping area below the main highway. once i found it, everyone I came into contact with were friendly and helpful. the room that I had was large and clean. PJ's Cafe was too crowded to enjoy

« Okay place to stay »

Stopped in Yuma for a couple of days. Checked into the hotel and was assigned a room on the second floor (no elevators) even though I was limping and using a cane. Asked for a first floor room and was assigned one, but should I even have to ask based on my physical condition? They also have made certain parking spots reserved for Purple Heart receiptents, which is a nice gesture, but the one in front of the building I stayed in was right in the middle of the parking area with no ramps for easy access to the room. Access ramps where at either end of the building and if you are handicapped, the extra distance is not helpful. They did offer happy hour with 2 free drinks and the bartender was very nice. The complimentary breakfast was tasty.

« Definitely a great place to stay »

This hotel is wonderful, so not sure why some reviewers are giving this place poor ratings. From the moment we walked into the lobby to check in, we were warmly greeted, offered bottles of ice cold water, and the wonderful front desk person took the time to show us a map and tell us all about the amenities they offer. Our room was on the 2nd floor located across the pool overlooking the patio and pool. We had a king bed which was comfortable for us. The room included aa small mini fridge, microwave, and coffee pot. It had a flat screen tv with lots of free movie channels, and also a desk withcomfortable sofa. The usual amenites of coffees, shampoo conditioner and lotion along with hairdryer. The room appears recently remodeled and was very nice. The bathrrom includes the toilet and shower in a small space and sink snd closet are located in a nook outside the bathroom area. these spaces are also renovated and the room was spotless. The hotel itself has a nice little cafe/restaurant on site which serves the free breakfast. (bacon, scrambled eggs, hash, potatoes, hard boiled eggs, breads, cereals, yogurt, and waffle maker with coffee, hot chocolate and teas). The hotel also hosts a haapy hour from 5-6:30 pm and they put out tortilla chips, and cheesy chili for topping (the chili is served cool and would be much better hot though). Along with this they offer guests one free drink (beer on tap includes coors light, bud light, bud, and a amber ale,), they also have several box wines, and sodas. You may also order food such as appetizers and bar food like burger and fish and chips which are really reasonably priced and a nice surprise that they do not try to price gouge you for being a restaurant on site like most hotels do. They do have a pet area, so it is nice that pets are also welcome, given that animals are a part of so many families. The location is also great in that it is far enough off the highway that you dont get the traffic noise, yet close enough for easy on and easy off access. The mall is literally down the block with lots of shopping options and a huge array of restaurants all within a few blocks. For many people coming to the area for dental care in Mexico, this hotel is about 6-7 miles from the border crossing. For the price point, amenities, cleanliness, friendly staff, and comfort, I really cant see giving this place any less then 5 stars.

« Good to stay overall »

The room was clean, all staff were very friendly and helpful. PJ's Cafe was a great place for the included breakfast and was accessible without steps through a nice cement pathway. They had free wine or beer at happy hour but we were with family at that time. We had trouble accessing the room from the parking lot, had to climb over loose rocks-no pathway, the room was a little dark, needs at least one bright light to read by if you are a senior. Dad 91 got shocked with the water turned suddenly hot but I did not in the 3 showers I took. Overall its a nice place to stay-all basic needs are provided. There was fridge we used and coffee and microwave.

Nice place to stay with amenities close by. The pool was nice with a view. it was in a wedge so traffic was noisy. Breakfast was typical, but actual hotel was good. Shopping and nightlife close by. People are friendly. Would consider staying again.

« Great Family Getaway with excellent accomodations »

We have stayed here several times in the past but I must admit that this time was the best. Looks like they keep up with repairs and updates here and genuinely care about their establishment, PJs was upgraded since our last visit, pool was kept clean and functional, guest rooms were kept clean and functional and Breakfast, as always, was hot and tasty, took advantage of Happy Hour Meet and Greet at PJs and they were quick to serve and went above and beyond... We were a Family of 4 and the kids were always in the pool or playing internet based video games in the room unless we were out visiting family in the area and you MUST go to the proving Grounds to see the Equipment and go have a Date Shake...

« great time heated pool »

We Were so delighted with this one in Yuma it was good price and we met lots of happy people bragging on the facilities as we sat pool side drinking free wine .when they closed the pub I wished I had gotten the 2 free drinks offered and the spring rolls ,as the lady was cleaning I asked her for that and she was more than happy to break the rule for me after happy hour closed .We met lots of people with smiles and courtesy

« Totally Worth the Stay »

We were pleasantly surprised about the hotel and the room. Great stay. It was located within walking distance to several food options, shopping options, and entertainment. The room was very nice. If we had been staying longer it would have been great because it had a full mini kitchen. The in room tub was very nice. Large enough for two large people.

    4
    « Great Experience »

Worth it just for the nightly happy hour. Restaurants are less than quarter mile away. Shopping close by with easy freeway access. Was 40% less expensive than Hampton Inn. Will stay again next time traveling through Yuma. Would recommend to friends and family,

« refused to honor reservation »

The hotel is fine... nice place to stay, quiet and in a convenient location. On my last stay they refused to honor my reservation ~ even though I am a Best Western Diamond Card holder... and I was told, "THAT doesn't matter". Instead of honoring my reservation for a room with an inground hot tub, they put me in an older suite with peeling wall paper, water pipes that clanked every time you turned the faucet on, dishes that looked like they were from a yard sale... I could go on, but you get the idea. Will I stay there again? Probably not, especially after the front desk personnel were insulting.

    « ok »

Price went up but didn"t let people know ahead of time they where doing renovations. Sure would have been nice to know. Location is great, staff was good, breakfast was only ok as thats where the renovations were happening. The room was better than before because it is bigger but the quality, like under cooked liquid eggs, was not that good and service was lacking as stuff was empty and staff standing around. Pool was nice. Not sure if we will return on our next trip to yuma.A

    « room under construction »

very poor dirty shower, slow running water terrible breakfast not worth the money go to Hilton they treat you right. The girl ignored me when I was checking out she was more interested in the three men in the office and just handed me a bill and that was that, we had a room that they were fixing there was a sign and but the shower was black and chipped around the edges and you should never rent a room unless it is totally clean that is what I paid for not a filthy bathtub with gross black around it, the people next door had a barking dog we talk to the guy he was mad and walked away from us this is unacceptable and we paid $112 for one nightmare. NEVER AGAIN FROM NOW ON HILTON. The breakfast is not free we actually pay for it, it is included in the room price so don't think you are getting anything for free you aren't, it was horrible, the pool was dirty they didn't leave the filter on so its was murky, to many things wrong. NEVER AGAIN.

    « Surprised »

We were pleasantly surprised how nice this Best Western is. It is in a great location for shopping and restaurants. The happy hour was very nice and the breakfast better than average. If and when we stay again would prefer an inside room as am a light sleeper and freeway noise kept me awake

« Nice place to stay. »

I stayed here for one night on March 13th. The room was clean, although wearing out (the wallpaper was peeling in a few places, and a few of the bathroom tiles were cracked). The wifi ran well, and breakfast was good. Located close to gas stations, shopping, and restaurants. I would stay here again.

    « Things Are Changing »

We have been staying at BW Inn Suites Yuma Mall for a couple of years now. We enjoy that they are pet friendly, but they have also made some major improvements to the breakfast area. The check in process was much more efficient and fast this time.

« MORE BANG FOR THE BUCK »

Where can you stay where the room is clean, the food is excellent and the staff is helpful? Best Western in Yuma. When you are there, at 5:00 you get 2 free drinks and chips with salsa. you get a breakfast that is not only tasty but hot. now that is a plus. I had a truck parked close to my room and it was running and had to run the entire night since it was a vegetable truck. I called the office and asked if something could be done and with in 5 minutes the truck had moved. wow. where does that happen???? I know best western in yuma

    « Great location! »

We travel with our dog so being pet friendly is imperative for us. This was a really nice Hotel, anything you could need us right there, shopping, fast food, restaurants. Rooms are good. Generally I find the free breakfasts pretty so/so.....this was actually very good!

    « Great facility »

We always stay here when we have medical visits in the area. They have the best breakfast we have found anywhere. If we need help, the folks at the front desk are very helpful. The rooms are convenient, clean and beds comfortable.

« Very nice staff; thin walls in room »

If you don't care that you WILL hear your neighbors on the other side of the wall, then this hotel is nice - free breakfast and manager's reception, very friendly staff. I had to move to another hotel because I couldn't sleep due to the noise next door (walls are very thin). I was in a beautifully renovated room, so it was gorgeous to look at, but dysfunctional. Also, internet kicks you out after a few minutes of inactivity; have to re-login several times.

« Best Western InnSuites Yuma March 2016 »

My wife and I found the Best Western InnSuites Yuma to be wonderful. The service was excellent from check in to check out. Upon checking in, we were given complimentary bottles of water and some goodies in a gift bag. When we arrived at our room, our room was a lot more that we had expected. Everything was clean and well maintained. Our spacious room had a king size bed, a couch and a coffee table. I especially enjoyed the amount of movie channels that were available on the local cable TV system. If you have time to shop, this place is surrounded by a mall. You just can't go wrong. What we disliked was the breakfast experience the next morning. The breakfast area was full. There were special events going on that weekend and the hotel was completely booked. The issue we had was with an overwhelmed staff. They ran out of forks and a staff member was sent to purchase more. One of the staff members was rude, muttering rude remarks under his breath, because guests would not close the lid on the serving trays. Perhaps if there was a sign stating "close the lid," that may not have been an issue. Regardless, guests should be treated with respect and professionalism. All in all, we enjoyed our stay. Next time we are in the area, we will definitely stay at the Best Western InnSuites Yuma.

    « old but comfortable »

This hotel is within walkng distance of Yuma Palms Mall and restaurants. The hotel is spread out over a number of buildings 1, 2 or 3 stories high. You can tell that the hotel has been around for a while, although we found no problems with our upgraded suite. The pullout couch/bed should only be used by a child but even then you are sleeping on the coil springs! It would appear that in February there were a number of long term winter visitors staying here. At 5pm they have a sort of happy hour with drinks and snacks. The pool is heated and there is a hot tub. There is a large tennis/basketball court. A small library has book exchage. The computers in the lobby have an old operating system and some applications will not run. The wifi is good.

    3
« Nice place but problems »

We stayed in a suite that had two rooms and bath with two tvs and a kitchenette. Very nice layout. The biggest problems was the unfunctionable fan in the bathroom and the inconvenient entryways. Nice hotel though.

« Great location price and amenities »

This was a great hotel chain getting discounts for bcaa and senior we stayed two nights while zipping across border to Mexico to get some dental work done. Included hot breakfast fruit cereal granola bars and each night a free cocktail happy hour with beer wine and snacks! Clean great amenities and walking distance to restaurants like red lobster famous daves we ate at both. Had pool hot tub. Off main highway enough so quiet too an enjoyable stay!

    « Another word for average....best western »

Noise was an issue with the road noise and cars pulling into the car park which leads me to believe the walls aren't very insulated. The breakfast is horrible so I wouldn't even bother. Reception staff struggled to explain directions to our room which was frustrating but despite this the rooms are comfortable and clean.

« Great place to stay for a weekend »

My husband and I stayed here Valentines Day/ President Day's weekend. I really liked the layout of the hotel and the front desk staff was really friendly and nice. If you are a member they allow you to have a late check out until 1:00 and you get Bath and Body works products. More perks: We brought our maltese puppy and only had to pay $15 dog fee (other places we checked were up to $75) Plenty of hot breakfast and it was REALLY a busy weekend Plenty of free parking The wifi was fast and free We would definitely stay here again!

« Near Midnight with Ramona and Jared »

Ramona was beyond helpful with obtaining my reservation from BW.com as it was not showing in her system. She was patient, informative, and had things worked out in minutes. Jared was extremely helpful with helping me retrieve my pet from underneath the bed as I was attempting to get back on the road the next morning. He was conscious of not scaring my pet and polite. This was not his first time retrieving a pet from underneath a bed! Ramona and Jared were great representatives of the BW brand. I would stay at this property again simply from their positive attitudes and helpfulness.

    « Satisfied Guest »

I stayed at the property for a few days. I heard they are renovating PJs restaurant. I think it is very good the hotel does stuff like this for the customer and value what we have to say. It's nice to know that in a few weeks there's going to be a better something in this hotel unlike others that decides to stay the same with there designs that I've seen. I like to see improvement on hotels and renovations and going the extra smile to make things look great for the customer and not leave as is. This hotel is doing a great job focusing on attention to detail. It has very good employees and management that I talk to in my visit there as I asked to what was going on to the restaurant. It's a very good property. I saw all employees hard at work the other day and you don't get to see that often. Good hotel with good ideas to keep productivity and great personal. I will definitely be back to see how PJs is.

« Nice hotel, situated far enough from the freeway to be quiet »

Yuma is expensive in the winter time and most of the hotels are packed. This one raises its prices like the others but it is a large hotel and I have never failed to get a room for $116 which is a bit on the high side but the actual room/suite is very nice for a mid to lower range hotel brand. The grounds are well kept, the swimming pool was warm and very pleasant and the hot tub felt good on my bad back.

    4
« BEST Staff and Location in Yuma! »

The staff is what made our experience a 5! They are remolding, but our room wasn't one that had been renovated yet. Still, it was clean, the pool and hot tub were clean and in great working order. The Conference Room was comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was good. But Jarrod the shuttle driver went above and beyond for us! He was the one who truly made our trip so enjoyable. All the staff was great. The location is perfect, there are numerous stores and restaurants all within walking distance or very short ride. They are renovating the rooms (needed), but the price was good. We will be back! Enrique was also helpful and I wish I remembered the name of the lady who checked us in, because she was a big help when we needed transportation to a meeting (the cab didn't show up, she called Jarrod) and Jarrod ended up helping us the entire weekend. It was a joy to stay there, we felt everyone was genuinely friendly much better than your "typical" customer service.

    3
    « Disappointing »

The first disappointment was being placed in a room with a door connecting to the adjoining room. We could hear our neighbors talk, sneeze, cough and even their soft snoring in the morning. Don't place me in a connecting room unless I ask for one. These types of rooms rarely work for anyone but families or friends that know one another and want to be connected in this manner. Secondly, the breakfast was pretty bad. There were all sorts of flyers on the table apologizing because their restaurant is being remodeled and they can't really cook stuff in the meantime. However, that does not explain the lack of stock and choices. When we arrived for breakfast there were only two apples, only 1/2 a dozen yogurts and all of those were "light" which contain chemicals (regular should be the staple and light the option) and there were no meats available (i.e. sausage or bacon, both of which can be prepared in a microwave). Also the gravy for the biscuits and gravy was like water, not at all a consistency one would expect for gravy. We made due by filling up on granola bars and vowed to go to McDonald's for the next three days. One night we came back to our room about 10 pm only to be greeted by a note taped to the door notifying us that the water would be turned off at 11 pm for repairs. More apologies. I came away from this experience thinking "If you have to apologize for so many things, then maybe you should shut down until you are ready to be up and running." As to the room, one had to be extremely careful with the plumbing for the tub and shower because it was installed improperly and turned the wrong way for hot. Also, the bathroom vanity is ridiculously deep and one cannot even get close to the mirror to put on make-up. No problem, you say, there is a full length mirror in the room ... yes, but most of it was blocked by the refrigerator with the microwave stacked on top rendering it pretty much useless. Now let's talk about housekeeping. Each day we used the little bottles of shampoo and conditioner and left the spent containers on the rim of the bathtub for housekeeping to dispose of, as is usually the practice in any hotel I have been to. And yet every day we came back and the bottles were still there. It got to be amusing when the bathtub ledge was filled with 8 bottles! You might ask why we did not throw them into the trash container. Well, it did not have a liner in it so would have only made a sticky mess. While we were there, it rained one evening. The hallways are tiled. The tiles get very slick in the rain and I almost slipped. Be very careful if they are wet! On the plus side, the beds were comfortable and there were plenty of pillows. The front desk staff was nice at check-in and check out. Would I return? No, because there are plenty of hotels in the Yuma area. I do not take kindly to checking into a place that has to post apologies all over for this, that and the other thing. They advise you to tell them before you leave of any problems so that they can be remedied, but they can't remedy the wet tiles, the wrongly plumbed fixtures, the too deep vanity, the fact that their restaurant is under renovation (though they could make a better effort at providing a better interim breakfast since their flashing sign advertises breakfast, as if it is some sort of draw). I find it disingenuous to put forth a hotel with so many issues and think that it is acceptable to ask the guest to have to report things they are dissatisfied with in order to rectify them. Make a better effort in the first place so the burden is not on the customer.

    3
    « Don't know what this means »

For the price, this hotel is average to good. The rooms were clean but some were in disrepair. The staff was diligent in making sure the items were repaired and that we were satisfied with our visit. They were prompt in solving the issues at hand. They don't have elevators but you usually only one flight of stairs to contend with.

« Excellent choice in Yuma »

What a beautiful hotel we defiantly recommend it to anyone traveling to the area. Although the restaurant and bar by the pool were closed for renovation the included breakfast and evening happy hour meet our expectations, I'm sure it will be amazing when complete. Our room called the Mohawk Suite was adjacent to the pool. It was tasteful decorated but the bathroom was in need of updating (tub/shower is awaiting its turn) and the carpet was not stretched tight so was a wrinkle by the desk making it hard to roll the chair. These were only minor and in no way effect us from recommending this property to others. This a quiet hotel between a major highway and The Yuma Palms Mall with lots of shopping and restaurants close. If you use any available discounts this is a very economical property. Give it a try you won't be disappointed

« Nice place. Would stay here again. Good value. »

Was passing through Yuma and stayed here and was pleasantly surprised. One of the better Best Westerns I have ever stayed in. Staff was always friendly and accommodating. Large clean modern updated rooms. They offered a free "cocktail" hour in their bar area every night serving draft beer (Coors / Bud) and some wines. They had a nice looking pool. Well kept property near a mall and near the highway. Plus several restaurants near by. We walked to Olive Garden about 1/2 mile away. We got a great rate and would stay here again. The only downsides were there were several series of step so if thats an issue get a ground floor. Plus, the breakfast was somewhat poor so we skipped it and went elsewhere.

« Old Hotel under Renovation »

This is one of the older hotels in Yuma but has been keep up fairly well. During our stay several of the rooms and the restaurant were under renovations. The staff are doing there best to provide the complementary breakfast and happy hour in temporary quarters. Beds are very comfortable but my wife says the toilet paper was terrible. Otherwise we loved the hotel.

    « Great accommodations! »

We were there for four days and it was GREAT! We had a King Bed Suite and it was very clean and well laid out; it was like a small apartment. We especially enjoyed the kitchen facilities, which included a range-top and dishes, silverware and pots & pans; this along with the included breakfast made our stay very affordable. We also enjoyed the Happy Hour each day; we met a few nice people here. We are usually RV'ers and this atmosphere is quite similar to that way of life. We would definitely stay here again. PJ's was under reconstruction so we were unable to use this but the work going on was being done without causing any disturbance.

A great Best Western property. Room was clean, comfortable and recently remodeled. Social Hour was a great bonus when we arrived. Staff members we encountered were super and very helpful with local attractions and information. This Best Western will be our stop when we return to Yuma.

« Great property with great improvements »

My stay at this Best Western was perfect. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My room was seemed very new or recently upgraded, everything was spotless clean and well maintained. Pool area is a very comfortable place to relax. Although the on site restaurant is closed for renovations the temporary breakfast/happy hour area was clean and offered a nice selection. I highly recommend this hotel.

« Dirtiest Pit in Yuma »

What a shame that you cannot depend upon traditional company logos when planning your overnight stays. This has to be one of if not the most nasty Best Western in the US. Dirty carpets, mold in the showers and an overall lack of room maintenance. Even the outside walkways were nasty. Cannot speak to the other rooms but do not let them put you in room 171. All I can say is, If you are staying here beware.

We get here to find that there remodeling the restaurant right across our room on the main floor. We were ok with that because it was about 5 pm and they were going to be stopping. My husband found that the phone didn't work, the repair guy came very fast and was very nice. He couldn't fix it, and asked if we wanted another room, we declined, which that night we regretted. But we needed to go eat, and figured we had two phones so no big deal, at least that is what we thought at the time. We came back to the room at 10:30, the toilet was running and their was a musty smell. I had some essential oils and put some on a pillow close to us as we tried to sleep. Then about 11:30 or 12:00 the hammering began! So my husband dressed and walked to the office and told them, they were very nice, and the hammering stopped immediately. Which was nice, but who does construction at that time of the hour? There was no heat in the room, which wasn't to bad, it wasn't that cold, yet it would of been nice to been able to get the chill off. By this time it was very late, and my husband didn't want to walk back to the office. We were able to sleep for about four hours, then at 6:30 the maids were right outside talking away. We got up showered, which by the way, the tub was smashed in at the drain and rusted. They did leave a letter apologizing for that from the beginning. My husband just checked out and told them everything. They were very apologetic and said they would try to reverse our points, since we were using them to pay for the room. When they do that, I'll give them a 3 or 4, because if it hadn't been so late I'm sure we would of been able to get another room. Plus they were very nice, and I believe most of this was a fluke. We would probably stay again as long as we were sure there wasn't anymore construction, and we checked the room completely. ?? anyway the bed was very comfortable, very quiet after the hammering stopped, the water in the shower had great pressure and very hot. It was one night, I think the smell was from the toilet running, because the room was clean. Since they will reverse our points, again, we'd give it another try.

« Friendly Staff, but a work in Progress »

This property is apparently in the midst of a remodel. The cafe/breakfast area was closed. Our room has nice new bath tile, but the tub had been 'refinished' and was peeling and rusty. There was an uncovered wall electrical outlet that hung loose in the box. The toilet in our room had difficulty with 'solid waste' an it took over an hour to get someone with a plunger It was another hour to get the maid to understand that cleaning the toilet required getting rid of the brown stuff. The front desk apologized and discounted the room for the night, but actually fixing the problem quickly would have been much better.

The room has a musty smell the bathroom needed repairs looks like water damage shower curtain was ripped and old. The staff where friendly. He cafe was under construction so breakfast food was limited. We stayed there last year and it was at 4 and a half.

    « Great location. »

The hotel Is found at the Intersection of I8 and I95. It Is also in the same section as a huge shopping area. This is my second stay here. The room was clean, spacious and the bed was comfortable. We had some issues with the power outlets but we sorted this out. They had a guest laundry that I took advantage of and I was satisfied with the cost and the results. The breakfast was good, not spectacular but adequate. They started renovations on the little restaurant so the last two breakfasts were a little skimpy but there was no grill access for the staff.

    « Guess what's behind door 402! »

I've stayed in this room before, that's why was more than a little upset when the front desk slide me my key cards. When I checked into the first room they gave me, I was a little surprised to find out that I was sharing the room and my roommate was in the shower. Where to start? 1. Missing light bulbs in the master bedroom 2. A "jack-uzzi" you need to leave the water running because the drain stopper leaks sooooo bad. 3. Dirty caulk along the tub and sink. 4. Furniture that belongs in a Goodwill. 5. Peeling wallpaper. 6. Barren "living room" without even a coffee table. 7. Lovely highway sounds to lull you to sleep 8. A staff and manager with no empathy and one insincere apology. 9. A kitch with the fridge in the middle of the floor because it won't fit in the gaping cavity where the previous fridge sat 10. A microwave that dims the lights when it turns on. 11. Rusty stove top. 12. Cracked don't door panels. 13. Lots of old screw holes in the walls... Am I coming back? This place is a crap shoot with rooms I've stayed in ranging from mediocre to this.

The Hotel was clean, the staff professional and the location is close to everything we wanted to see and do. Hiking at the wetlands within two miles of this hotel with our dogs (who were welcome at this hotel) was perfect for bird watching and exercise. We also loved old Yuma. « Favorite hotel! »

My wife and I stayed here to celebrate our anniversary. We have stayed here on a couple of special occasions and have always loved it. Staff are friendly, rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, and if you are willing to splurge a little on price, this is the only place in town (that I know of) where you can get an actual in-room Jaccuzzi that's not just a regular bathtub with bubbles, but big enough for two adults. my favorite part! We also love the two free drinks at happy hour and the great hot breakfast (not the crappy "continental breakfast" served at most places). They always have lots to choose from....Belgian waffles, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, cereals, bagels and cream cheese, juice, coffee, etc. Will definitely stay here again for another special occasion

« Excellent Value and Rooms »

Stayed 2 nights here while in Yuma and surrounding area. The place was a great value and rooms were great. Alexis at check in was fantastic. She new the surrounding area and helped us locate the sites easily. Sent us on shortcuts rather than the busy roads. The restaurant was a small grill that served booze and quick meals including the free breakfast which was good. It was not a full scale restaurant. The 2 free glasses of wine a night for guests was relaxing. The main road getting there is very busy and got backed up all the time. We finally went the back way to save the trouble of traffic jams. Next to a large shopping center and Sam,s Club for cheap gas. Easy on and off I8. Good pool. Try to get a room away from the stairs to minimize noise. Would stay here again. Great cookies at check in.

I did not have any great expectations for this hotel as it was just a stop over between Payson and San Diego, what a great surprise! Check in was quick and pleasant, the large room was a little dark but very quiet and the bed was comfy. The FREE beer was GREAT (see photo for selection) and breakfast was fine. The internet was good. I would recommend this hotel.

This was the last and the best of the quality motels we stayed at during our long trip across the country from FL to CA. With so many places to choose from in Yuma we're glad we selected this Best Western one. We found everything about it to be excellent for us ...... an elderly couple who needed a pleasant, comfortable place to stay after 5 days of driving. We plan to stay at it again on our return trip next month.

This is the third time we stopped at Yuma on the way back from So Central, CA i.e. Ventura County. I can't imagine going back to the I-10 route thru the Phoenix area when for twenty miles more I-8 has far less trucks and hassles. We just cut up around the Salton Sea towards Indio PalmSprings and leave that mess behind. This hotel is like an oasis in the desert, Nice people, comfortable rooms, and two comp drinks in their lounge and only 3 to 3/5 hours from home.

Monica was great! I called when I was 30 miles away and she took my info and I was all set up when I got there. she wanted to upgrade my room because of my diamond level but I just needed to get some sleep. Always a pleasure staying with this Best Western. The Breakfast was better then ever, the girl attending the area was very pleasant. And who ever decided on having corn beef hash on the menu should get a raise. Heck, eggs, corn beef, biscuits and gravy, I was in breakfast heaven. This location has never let me down and I believe because of the people running and working here, they never will.

« Great overnight stop! Better than we expected! »

We chose the Best Western for an overnight stay on our way to California and we're glad we did! The clerk worked hard to find a discounted rate for the La Paz executive suite. The room was comfortable and the amenities were just what we needed. They have a quaint bar / restaurant called PJ's on site and it was perfect for a quick dinner and small talk and complementary breakfast in the morning. We will gladly stay there in the future!

Very nice clean and modern hotel in an area of many competitive chain hotels. Our room was quiet and parking was plentiful. WiFi was fast. Had no issues at this hotel. The morning complimentary breakfast was surprisingly good with a large selection. Easy on and off route 8 with a choice of gas stations nearby. The Yuma Mall is in walking distance and that offers restaurants and shopping.

« Better than most, mixed bag »

Have stayed here on several occasions and have somewhat mixed opinions about it. I was waiting to review after having several different situations. This place is basically a very large and complicated complex with many different room experiences. We have been in at least four very different rooms. Each has had its strengths and weaknesses. Generally nice enough rooms with much better than average breakfast in unique facility in middle of complex and next to pool area. You might get lost trying to find it. Because of the different shape of the property, who knows where you will park and how far you have to walk to you to your room. The place looks like it was purpose built for a preseason baseball team to quarter there in Yuma in the spring. It is also on a unique piece of property adjacent to the Yuma Mail that leads to its shape. Had a variety of older and newer rooms and a variety of good and not so good beds. So, it seems the luck of the draw in that aspect. Generally, front office operation is pretty impressive. They seem to get it done very efficiently, but they have a lot of rooms to fill. Have gotten good deals in off-season and that is what it takes to seal the deal here. Better than the sad-shape and usually over priced Shilo Inn next door, but not near as good as the Hampton next to Shilo on 16th, which is my first choice in Yuma so far.

Front desk clerk was very friendly, whole check-in process was under 10 mins. Rooms were clean and serviced promptly-we were there for 2 nights. The last night we spent in the pool area-we needed plastic cups and the bartender brought them out and kept checking on us to make sure we had everything we needed. The pool closed and the employee that asked us to leave was courteous and gave us all the time we needed to head up to the rooms. Overall, a great hotel with great staff-you can tell its managed effectively-the employees went above and beyond!

    « A Little Odd »

The property is fairly new and attractive, conveniently located just off the I-8 freeway and next to the Yuma Palms Mall, near a good variety of restaurants. Our room was an odd-shaped one and at first we were favorably impressed. That was until we found that 3 out of 10 lamps didn't work, one bed was missing a foot, and there was no luggage rack, and the dresser was missing a fair amount of laminate. Maintenance was very quick to respond, fixed the bed and the lamps, and managed to find us two luggage racks, so all was well. We didn't use the pool, but it looked nice enough, and they have a small library. The breakfast was good in the morning.

« EXCELLENT Stay at BEST WESTERN Inn Suites »

My husband and I stayed at BEST WESTERN Inn Suites Yuma Mall during his last business trip to Arizona. We are regular business and leisure travelers with no kids. We arrived mid-morning and the courteous hotel staff checked us in promptly and without questions. The suite was very cozy and clean with modern and updated furnishings. This location is extremely conveniently within walking distance of shopping, dining and movie theater. The pool and hot tub area were exceptionally clean and inviting, we were there until closing time. All in all, these are the comforts and conveniences that you would expect from any of the major and expensive hotel chains but at an affordable price. I MUST mention that for us ladies, this hotel provides complimentary individually packaged make-up remover towelettes with toiletries and for the health and well-being of all guest, remote controls are treated with an anti-microbial process and placed in a protective sleeve prior to new check-ins (that is IMPRESSIVE and have not seen before in any major hotel chains). We had a pleasant and relaxing stay and will definitely stay here again!

Was in town for death of grandmother. Rates where great the first weekend but when I came back, they charged me 30 more per night... MY grandmother died minutes after I got the the hospital because I was busy standing in line at the lobby trying to address the differences in price for the same room and set up. I got sick of arguing over a few dollars when my only grandparent was dying, so I didn't put up much of a fight and paid the increased rates.

    « A poor choice »

Hotel looked good but remote didn't work, phone didn't work and finishing of room was really messy and didn't appear clean. Sitting room with TV had only one chair. We were invited for a free glass of wine before dinner but there was not room to sit in a very small room so left. This is a poor reflection of the Best Western Hotels in my opinion. I'd call it whipped cream on a burnt dessert.

Always our first choice in Yuma. Staff is exceptional, helpful, thoughtful, caring. Special kudos to Ashley & Roy at the front desk. The rooms are modern & spotless with all the amenities you could want ~ flat screen TV with lots of channels, free wifi with great signal, fridge/micro etc. Lovely linens & very comfortable beds. Outstanding continental including actual freshly scrambled eggs rather than the plastic egg product you find at most places. Happy hour in the evenings. Didn't use the pool or fitness center but both were available. Definitely puts the "Best" in Best Western.

    « Mostly good but... »

The hotel is in the midst of redecorating. We got an unredecorated King room. Though it was still in good shape. However, It was very difficult to find the room and we ran into 2 other lost souls. The room had a wet bar. Two sinks in the room! But no outlet on the wet bar? The hot breakfast was slightly nicer than average but it was in a small cafe/bar a flight down. There was a large well marked step up to the food but still 2 other people tripped while we were there. It was a beautiful place but not really easily maneuverable for an older couple.

I notice that most of the hotels in the Yuma area are pet friendly. That is great. But, someone people have alergies to pets. The hotels should have seperate areas. One for pets, and those without. Just like they do for smoking, and non-smoking.

    « Just OK »

I've stayed at this location many times for work. It's decent and in a good location in Yuma by the mall, the happy hour and breakfast are also pretty good. That's about all I can say. It's an older hotel and it gets used a lot by military folks and construction workers, working locally and at the proving grounds. No offense to them, but I expect that's why the hotel rooms are pretty trashed and the hotel can't seem to catch up. So you may end up with a room with broken fixtures, wallpaper falling off, holes in the wall, dingy carpets, no hot water, etc. All of these I experienced on my last visit. Staff is great.

« A board room is not a hotel room! »

I stayed one Sunday night in the Best Western Hotel. Hotel staff was friendly, and the property was clean. We arrived just in time for a complementary happy hour (unexpected bonus) of Beer or Wine. A free hot breakfast was also included in the morning (eggs, sausage, waffles as well as the usual breads and such). The downside: We had the "Boardroom Suite" that was below the first floor, but not underground. This hotel looks like it was designed by MC Escher. There were stairs everywhere. To get to any spot you had to go both up and down stairs each time. The room was HUGE, but there was a large folded conference table by the front door covering up the white board, and the bed was a Murphy bed. This is one step above a fold-out couch! Not comfortable at all. There was also a microwave, mini fridge, and stove. Nice if were where there for more than one night, or we were holding a board meeting. The furniture was oddly spaced and was obvious that it was to all be moved to make it a meeting room as well. I tried to call the front desk, but the phones were out. Later that night I did get a call to make sure we were ok (they were calling everyone since the phones were out). By that point, it was late, and I was tired, so I did not complain about the room. The next morning I could barely walk from the pain of the bed. I should have slept on the conference table.

Only issue was noise, courtyard conversations, outside my room conversations and airplane noise--ear plugs helped. Clean room, nice staff. Shuttle to airport very convenient and restaurant food was very good, service OK.

This hotel was wonderful, comfy, great bar, good free breakfast, excellent wifi, and very close to the U.S. Marine base!! The hotel is nestled in a shopping area and places to eat. And I mention, CLOSE to the Marine base (1.3 miles or so)!!!! The price paid was around $60/night! Great deal!

    « 4 Star Service in Yuma »

We were in town on a family emergency and later for a memorial service, I can not say enough about how wonderful the staff at this hotel is. I am an event planner and have planned events, conferences and conventions at 4 star hotels and major venues. Never have I worked with a more professional and accommodating staff. From Alexis and the rest of the front desk people to Richard the Houseman, this staff performed above and beyond anything I would or could possibly have expected. But very special thanks to Sabra who was my right hand person in planning a reception for 125 in two short days, I simply can not express my heartfelt appreciation to the entire staff at this property. The fact that the rooms were nicely appointed and kept impeccably clean speaks volumes as to the standards the manager has set for her team. Guests are invited each evening to enjoy a couple of drinks on the house and mingle during a social hour. Morning breakfast has tasty and hit the spot, especially the waffles, All in all I must say this is a hidden gem in Yuma. Its not the fanciest hotel and its not the newest but with a staff as incredible as this team I would chose to stay there - hands down.

« Good value for your buck, little wear and tear »

The site is very neat with all kind of buildings linked together with pedestrian bridges. The pool plaza looks very nice and there is pub beside it with 2 free drink between 5-6:30. I thought that was pretty cool. The breakfast was good. The interior of the room could use some TLC. dripping tap, worn out surface, burnt bulb, slow drain, few things like that. It was clean and the mattress quality was all right. The wireless internet was useless in the room, i was working from the outside gazebo for a great reception.

« Best Western Yuma, Az Stay »

Stayed at this hotel a few years ago and just love it. It feels like home away from home. We were contemplating staying at a different chain for our next stay but after being there this past September, we wouldn't even consider switching.

« Going to Yuma Stay at Best Western Yuma Mall »

No hotel can top this Best Western, all the comforts of home and more. The pool is perfect not too cold not too hot. The breakfast bar is fantastic. The staff are helpful. We go to Algodones Mexico for dentistry, we have had the same dentist for at least 5 years and we always stay at Best Western Yuma Mall, Inn and Suites. You will be pleasantly surprised if you have not stayed there. Whether it is for business or pleasure I highly recommend this hotel.
