Best Western Miner's Inn

The Inn is going through an ownership transition and there were a few problems. It's one of those Best Westerns that promises a full breakfast. But they didnt have anyone who knew how to cook. They were out of eggs, and the potatoes had been diced but not cooked; just stuck in a steam, where they became gelatinous. The kid who was covering the breakfast room was apologetic, blamed it on the change of ownership, and there was no manager around to appeal to. Staff was good at getting us checked in but not cordial. For instance they forgot one of the basics of asking how many keys we needed, telling us breakfast location and hours, etc. And there's some questionable marketing. They charge more for creekside views rooms. We didn't need that but ended up with it because of the type of room we needed. I'm glad we didnt pay extra: creekside means that there's a ditch outside the room, together with a chain link fence, and a view of I-5. The noise wasn't a problem but the promotional stuff was shady. It's potentially a nice property, but judging by other reviews, there'd been a problem with the food service for several months. We won't be back for at least a year, even though it's a convenient spot on a multi-day trip. Ask if the ownership has changed and check the reviews closely. If you're heading north, stay in the Mt. Shasta area instead.

I was headed to LA and I5 was closed south of Yreka. The hotel was conveniently located off of the highway. The room was clean and well maintained. There were several good food choices nearby. It made a difficult trip a little easier.

made my reservation back in May for a September 11 arrival. We had been at a wedding and drove 7 hours to find out they had no reservation for us, we shared our reservation number and they said sorry! were booked. I called Best Western customer service and they found the reservation and said the hotel cancelled it on the 10th. When I found another hotel the front desk said that I was the fourth person they had heard a similar story from. my speculation is that there is construction going on and fires in the area, I believe they cancelled my reservation to make more money on another on. I ask for a call from the manager and three days later still no call. I would stray clear of this lace if I were you. horrible customer service!

Our car broke down in the parking lot on the Miners Inn on a Saturday am. We were very lucky it was there vs on the road. So we had to extend our stay by 2 nights. Everyone was very kind and understanding, but I especially want to thank Jacob who helped push the dead car back into our parking space and helped us reach out to AAA. My husband is disabled and Jacob was wonderful. And Sam on the front desk was great too. Late check-out on Monday was no issue and he helped with our housekeeping requests too. lol Hand carried the towels and wash clothes to us. We always stay here on our trips to and from Portland annually. Love the quiet rooms and the popcorn in the lounge. And it's wonderful that there are restaurants within walking distance from our room. Big Bonus this trip. Kathy Knudson Thanks again!

Room was so dirty Carpet was Extremely dirty my kid's feet got black from bottom Spiders on the wall Stinky bed sheets . I would never recommend this to anyone. This was the dirtiest hotel . Coffee machine was also dirty .

Recently my wife and I traveled to California to visit family in the Yreka area. This is a trip we have made several times in the past and we always stayed at the Best Western Miners Inn located in Yreka. The facility is well located for our needs, is clean, allows pets and the room suits make the stay comfortable. On our most recent stay, the facilities fall from grace was evident. Upon entering the room it appeared tired and dingy. The walls were scared with rub marks from furniture being moved. Couch cushions were so worn they provided no support or comfort. Tile floor in the kitchenet was sticky and the walls had visible dirt and dust showing. Electrical outlets were worn to the point of not holding plug receptacles, as such, none of the alarm clocks worked. The bathroom had no fan which required the door to be left open during showering to avoid turning the room into a sauna. Fire alarms were nonfunctional towel racks had been removed and holes not patched. The common area walkways were heavily stained and garbage receptacles overflowing. The large pool area was locked and not accessible during a heat wave. Staff was slow to respond to requests for service and the breakfast was, at best, filling. Full time residents showed a lack of common courtesy toward paying travelers on vacation, actually jumping the fence at the closed pool with their children and playing unreasonably loud music as they played in the closed area. Friends of the full-time residents would reeve their vehicle engines in the parking lot, play loud music from vehicles and talk loudly into the evening hours. When staff was approached about these issues they stated, "We are aware of the problem, as is the corporate office, there is nothing we can do.

Our room was clean and comfortable. The TV worked and provided basic channels plus HBO. The pool was nice but didn't have much shade. The wifi was so weak we couldn't use it and the breakfast was terrible. We opted for the creek view room but I kind of wish we hadn't. People kept sitting right in front of our room and taking our deck chair. One group was out there till 11pm and we had to ask them to be quite so we could get to sleep.

The hotel business is very competitive. This hotel is below average in quality of service and cleanliness and needs to improve to even be average. If I were to stay in this town again I would look for a better hotel.

Upon arriving well after check-in time we were told the room was not available. When we returned, we found a clean room with no initial problems. We soon found that there were no tissues in the bathroom, there was only nay one bath towel and no bath mat, and the shower gel dispenser was empty. On the positive side, the air conditioning worked well, plumbing worked, and as stated above, the room was very. Lean.

Staff is super friendly. Room was large, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast burrito option was fun. None of those self slamming doors to wake you early in the morning. If they had a water bottle filling station, they would be perfect.

No breakfast No remote Light coming in all night No, you can't check in on time No internet I stayed twice within two weeks. The first time was fine, no complaints. But on the return trip, it was terrible, as listed above.

This does not meet my exception of Best Western standards; if that is the norm, we will no longer stay at Best Western. Toilet was not securely affixed to floor of bathroom! Heating unit in room did not work properly. Walls are filthy and bathroom caulking needs replacement. Due to the state of above conditions, we did not feel comfortable showering or even checking out breakfast options. BW should upgrade or demand upgrade to any higher standard feasible; it would be better than current condition. Unacceptable.

We travel a lot along the I-5 corridor between Los Angeles and Seattle. Our first overnight was when the freeway was closed due to snow. Our second stay was planned. Yreka is a charming town and the Brst Western is right in the middle of the historic section of town. We travel with our trusty German Shepherd, Sierra, and the rooms are pet friendly. Plenty of grass area. We are BW rewards members so we always get a good price on rhe room. And the $15 pet fee is minimal.

Miner's Inn was halfway between my starting and stopping places, so I only needed one night both going and coming back. The property is literally right off the exit ramp, but I never heard the freeway at all. The unit was clean and quiet and there are plenty of good places to eat nearby.

We stayed at this facility for a second time, having forgot about our previous experience. This motel is somewhat rundown in appearance. It was clean but some things did not work. The closet doors were broken, there was no TV, the refrigerator was noisy, and the soundproofing was inadequate. The grounds around the motel had a lot of debris so were not inviting. There are only a few food options nearby. It is convenient to the expressway.

Booked a few hours before I arrived. Was upgraded to a Creekside room due to BW rewards status. Everything was wonderful. Clean. Slept well. Coffee in Lobby 24 hours a day. Will be back if I need a room in Yreka.

the rooms could use some updating but overall the staff was friendly and helpful and the room was nice a spacious. Sam was very helpful and went above and beyond when helping me on the phone. I would stay here again

We had a very comfortable room with 2 queen size beds. Very spacious and clean! Breakfast wasn't the greatest, but the coffee was good. Very disappointed that the juice dispenser was broken. Definitely would stay again and eat breakfast elsewhere.

I really appreciated the friendliness of the staff. The breakfast was a full hot meal. Room was very large and 2 large counters with sinks. Refrigerator and microwave in the room were convenient for us. A very nice area for your pets, clean and beautifully groomed lawn area. In back of the motel is a nice playground for the kids. They also have someone in the office all night which made me feel that I could have a safe nights sleep.

This is one of those hotels where you enter your room from outside. There is no elevator to get to the second floor so keep that in mind. But overall, it was a nice stay. It kind of has a campground feeling from places you may have visited as a child. Lots of separate buildings, with restaurants and places nearby you can walk to. The staff is really great. Very pleasant. The rooms are incredibly huge. Probably twice the size of a typical hotel room. At least the one that I stayed in. There was no television, which was kind of strange, but the room was nicely decorated and clean.

I booked our room through hotels.com. The front desk clerk said since I booked through a 3rd party, I could not use my BW account number. When we walked into the room, I immediately noticed a large tear in the bed's dust ruffle. Showed a photo to the front desk clerk and she immediately changed our room. I gave this three stars because the shower squealed when we used it. We skipped breakfast, but my husband noticed dark crusty stuff in the gravy container. It looked as if it was yesterday's batch that was reheated. He thought it was unappetizing. We are staying at a Best Western in another city and they accepted my BW account number without any problem. This reservation was also made through hotels.com. So I'm note sure who is correct and who is not.

This was my second time at the hotel. Highly recommend, clean and quiet rooms, staff is friendly. Easy access to the freeway. They offer a great breakfast and provide coffee. When I am traveling this route this is my go to hotel.

Overall, the room we stayed in was well designed. The room was comfortable and the bathroom layout was big enough and the sink both inside the bathroom and outside were well located. I liked the design of the room.

Unless absolutely necessary I would not recommend staying here. The room was very clearly not cleaned. We had to request a broom to sweep our own room. We also had to wipe the counter down to remove all the beard hair trimmings. There was hair in the shower drain, hair on the towels and sheets. Our feet were black from walking on the floor. The breakfast seems like it is going to be this amazing hot breakfast but they were out of everything advertised. Very little of anything else. If you just need a quick 1 night stop over and don't mind feeling dirty and having to wear shoes or socks in your room and probably don't need to shower then you would probably be ok. Staff did not offer any type of compensation and while the girl at the front was friendly, she was not very professional. Staff at check out was not professional and did not seem to care or seem surprised that I asked for the manager's information to request a refund. I would give a zero rating if able.

We enjoyed our nights stay here, We were given a room up grade to a massive room, Beds were good and Wifi was strong. Grandson enjoyed the pool, Many thanks to Dallas at reception. she was wonderful on checking in. Very helpful Thank you

This is an absolute tire fire of a hotel. Truly. There is nothing redeeming about it. A room wasn't ready when we showed up at 10pm, and when she did find one, it's hard to say it was ready. The room smelled like I don't know what, and it wasn't very clean. In the morning, the door that wouldn't shut unless you pulled it shut tightly did just that, and I locked myself out. I walked to the front desk where I was ignored by a group of employees that walked away and waited to get a replacement key for about 15 minutes. I walked all the way back (the property is pretty big; it isn't a short walk to where they put us), and the key didn't work. I walked back up there, waited another 15 minutes, and got another key that didn't work. I finally just broke down and asked a housekeeping staff person to help, and he commented on the hotel having some "issues." He seemed to be the only one that was capable of anything around there. When walking back to the room the second time, a manager of some sort was telling new staff that if any room made them feel uncomfortable cleaning, they didn't have to do it - that's great, I agree with that, but it shows that they get more people that treat the rooms poorly in there than they should, and the rooms show it. At check-out, they added an additional $3.50 fee for "California Tourism and property taxes." The tourism tax is the business' tax, not the guests, but they do have the option of passing it on to the customer. The property tax is absolutely not the guests' responsibility. This was in addition to the quoted rate with taxes and fees that I booked with. I asked to talk with someone about it, and was told that there was no one there that could, but they would call me. Of course, that never happened. I tried emailing, and also no response. My guess is that they're in financial trouble, and are months away from closing or changing hands. Absolutely do not stay here. There will be a response to this review that is completely meaningless and empty. I guarantee it. That's what Best Western does.

Outstanding reception and assistance from Candice (front desk clerk). Arrived this evening to a long line of people waiting to check in. Candice was polite and rapid in processing us in, while ensuring we all had information about the amenities offered. My room had been reserved and paid for by others for the night. I asked if it was possible to extend for another night and she was willing to move mountains to make that happen. I'll be driving through in the near future enroute to Portland (to visit my son) and you can bet I'll be staying here to break up the long drive from the San Francisco Bay Area and on my return home. The associate that initially tried to check me in told me that my reservation didn't exist anymore despite having made the reservation online days before. Only after showing how confused I was and being persistent, she realized her mistake being that she checked in my reservation with a different person earlier before. The next day I went to see if the issue was settled, the male associate was confused to find the mistake, and that nothing was done to correct this error. Following that my keycard failed twice on two separate days showing that the issue probably still wasn't resolved, so I decided to check a third time with the front desk. Luckily a manager was present and she was unaware of the issue and seemed disappointed. I wasn't so much angry, rather annoyed and disappointed by the lack of integrity by the two previous employees. I was offered a cheaper rate and understood the issue, but that was until a week after that a second charge still existed from the first associate using my card for the first erroneous check-in. Furthermore, no follow up phone call or email or other compensations other than the slightly cheaper rate. In summary, a poor way to build rapport with customers, lack of integrity from employees and not following up with errors made by staff, killing any last surviving ounce of customer service.

Dark and depressing interior. Old fixtures and finishes. Bed was comfy enough and sheets and towels were clean. Fridge was cooling properly. Front desk said they'd have someone look at it. Not many hotels to choose from in Yreka. Don't expect much more than a fair stay. I didn't so it was fine.

Old, outdated rooms, carpets need replacement. Smelled like pet urine and amonia. Bathroom rubber on the tub needs replacement. The whole tub had mold so needs a clean up. Carpet had pet hairs and crumbs so a vacuum was needed.

First stop on a trip from Tacoma to Tucson to Jacksonville FL. In my professional life I traveled quite a bit, using Marriott, IHG and Hilton. Now retired I was looking for a budget hotel that didn't look/feel or smell budget. This was my first of 4 BW hotels I had reserved and was pleasantly surprised. While a bit dated, the room was very clean, bed was comfortable, and breakfast was decent. Had no issues. Trailer parking was out front which was fine as I was pulling a U-Haul trailer. I recommend. Price was OK

We've stayed here multiple times on our trips to/from Reno, usually in a creekside room. Staff is incredibly cordial, room is spotless, bathroom well-stocked with lotion, shampoo, etc, breakfast is huge with many options. There was a touchless pancake maker, an appliance I'd never before seen. I disagree with concerns about the tv or channel selection. They were fine for us.

If you are traveling near Yreka, CA. I would highly recommend this property. The hotel is clean, quiet and the rooms are very nice. Plenty of places to eat near by and they have a nice grassy area for relaxing with a playground for kids. The staff are very nice and helpful and make me feel welcome each time I stay here. Great place to recharge and relax.

Good option for the area. Room was spacious and clean and a value for the money. Did not love the tv options. Small set. Limited channels. All shown in SD. Not a good look in 2022. Breakfast could use some work. YMMV, but the hot options were unappealing and looked like they had been sitting out there. Grabbed some yogurt and got on with the day.

3-day/2 nights stay in Summer 2022. Selected hotel because of the good reviews and swimming-pool. (+) Staff was friendly. Bedding sheets and pillows looked clean. Microwave working. (-) Cleaning needs to be more thorough overall. Surfaces still had greasy stains. Small used towel was left on shower rod from previous guest. Previous guest's lunch (or the cleaning staff's lunch) was left on the table in the room when we got in the very first time (fast food in paper bag). Fridge was not working (could not feel the cold). Key cards stopped working the 2nd day. Easy fix but unnecessarily inconvenient. Finally, pool was not open! We would have chosen another place if we knew as the kids were looking forward to swimming.

Convenient to I5 and restaurants. Rooms were spacious and clean. Staff at front desk were friendly and helpful. Wasn't impressed with food but not a deal breaker. No toaster…. Weird. Older BW but looks like it has been renovated. We would stay again.

Just a one night stay over, it's just about 1/2 way point, think this will be our regular stop off! I usually drive straight through and am exhausted upon arrival, plus it's not safe to push through when tired, traveling with a pet and facility was pet friendly!

The location is convenient with I-5. The breakfast was average for this type of motel, and staff was attentive for the most part. Hopefully it was just our room, but the mattress was well past its prime and in need of replacement, providing a most uncomfortable night of sleep.

good place to stop for a night or two. not much in town but nice for a short time. would definitely reccommend for a brief stopover. office staff was very nice and helpful. breakfast was everything one needed.

Stayed at this motel recently for three days. Pros: *Easy Check-In *Room reasonably clean *Plenty of parking *Everything in the room worked Cons: *No housekeeping at all *Bathroom walls had stains *Appeared to be painted over black mold in bathroom *Door to closet broke so made closet very difficult to use *Lost a third of the TV channels on 2nd day *Breakfast room not very clean & trash overflowing each day On 2nd day put out on door request for room to be made up, since trash was overflowing. Never came. Went to the office in the evening and requested housekeeping to empty trash and get a couple towels. Was provided the excuses that they were short-staffed and they had a conference, and this was stated in a tone like "what do you expect?" I asked for two towels and he told me to wait. His excuses are inexcusable.

The hotel and staff were good, overall. The breakfast and coffee were very good. There was always more than enough at the buffet. Yreka…… is not a rich town. The town has its share of homelessness and folks living at or below poverty level. It's something to take into consideration when staying there. Although we didn't have any issues, I heard others were not so lucky. Lock your vehicle and don't leave anything of value in it. The next time traveling through the area, we are going to try the Best Western in Mt. Shasta City. It might be better or it might be worse. Of course, this isn't the fault of the hotel. It's merely an observation of the town of Yreka.

Clean and large room. Very clean and inviting. Ample parking and ease to enter room. Convenient quiet location for an overnight stay even though I5 access. Proximity to the historical area of town was a plus

We requested a ground floor, pet-friendly room when making our reservation, and again at check-in but they put us on 2nd floor over in a strange little annex area that felt like it was off-property. There's no elevator to transport luggage so that required several trips up and down stairs. Thin walls and spacious but tired looking room decor -- it was a "blast from the past" from the outside as well as the interior of the room. Looks like a motel from the 60s/70s and needs a thorough refurbish. I wasn't comfortable with the bathroom setup and I didn't want to take a shower there so I just washed my face at the sink. Looks like housekeeping needs to do a thorough vacuum in all the nooks and crannies of the room too...I always inspect the room before my pet has full run of the accommodation to make sure people haven't dropped medication, food, or other items that might make my pup sick. Not enough pillows and the wi-fi didn't work at all so I resorted to using cell service. It was a fairly quiet night but I was concerned about security and kept checking out the window to make sure the car was okay. There is a pretty nice lawn area to take the pup out for a little exercise and it was clean too! Since I take my pup out in the early pre-dawn hours I was glad to find it is also well-lit. The $15 pet fee is reasonable considering the condition/age of the accommodation. The local food establishments seem to close their doors fairly early around here...the only thing we could find was a Subway for a quick bite for dinner.

I travel along via Motorcycle and some times my car. Parking lot it well Lit and I feel safe traveling solo. I have used this stop for the past 2 years. Rooms are always clean and well stocked. The continental breakfast is super basic and the coffee is super horrible. Just walk across the street the gas station.

We had a reservation to stay with my family for the night as a stop on a long road trip home. The reviews seemed okay so I thought we would give it a try. When we arrived at 8:30pm, the grounds seemed visibly run down. The pool is filled with green algae and obviously hasn't been cleaned in a long time. We checked in, and when we arrived at our room, there was a man on the sidewalk next to it dancing to himself, appearing to be on drugs. Upon arrival to the room, the room key didn't work, so we had to run back to the office to have it fixed. When we opened the door, we could immediately tell the room hadn't been cleaned. It smelled, was dirty, and was filled with garbage and laundry (see attached pictures). Only half the lights worked in the main bedroom, which has a window that directly opens to the main sidewalk. We did not feel safe and immediately asked the front desk staff for a refund. The woman at the front did not offer an apology or offer to put us in another room but replied “well, my general manager had marked the room as clean.” On another note, the front desk staff kept accidentally answering the phone “Holiday Inn.” It was a horrible experience and I would recommend never staying here.

I've stayed in over 20 Best Western Hotel Celeste for years this was probably the nicest. The room was larger than average and there was actually three chairs in the room which is highly unusual. The beds were as comfortable as they always are at Best Western. Nice place. Other than an awkwardly placed towel rack which my wife bumped her head on to three times, we were very satisfied.

Well, We really didn't know where to stay in Yreka, Ca. so I looked at the reviews on line for hotels and The Miners Inn ranked very high among the guests that stay there. They weren't wrong either. Its a very nice, well maintained hotel. The room we stayed in for a week was very clean, stocked with essentials, quiet and smelled great. The folks that work there were very courteous and helpful. If we needed anything extra during our stay they were more than glad to accommodate us quickly. We would definitely stay at the Miners Inn again. Many thanks to all the employees at The Miners Inn. You folks did a great job taking care of us.

For what is available in Yreka, this is the best value. We have stayed at a couple other places, and at the Best Western the rooms are clean, amenities good, there is full breakfast, and it feels safe.

The woman who was working at the front desk when I checked in about 10:00pm was extremely friendly! The room was a bit dirty, there were hairs left in the tub and the floor and table tops were sticky, but overall the room and bed were comfortable. I noticed broken glass from an earlier break-in when I went to get out of my car and decided to move to another space. Make sure your car is locked up and emptied just to be safe!

I found the room, staff, breakfast and overall service excellent. Pricing is very competitive and staff accommodating and very friendly. Really appreciate the 24 hour coffee in the lobby. Breakfast was best I have had for this kind of stay.

Nice clean comfortable hotel at a good price. Staff was friendly and room was above average compared to other places we stayed on our trip. It was close to dining and in a safe location. Very well appointed as are most Best Westerns.

They said the only rooms available were $145, but there were few cars in the parking lot. At 4am 75% of the lot was empty. The room was dirty, chairs food stained, pillows like basketballs. We made our own with stacked bath towels. The bathroom floor was sticky. My wife thought it was urine spread across the tile. Bad experience on trip celebrating our 53 Anniversary. We travel a lot, always stay at BW Motels. This one doesn't deserve the BW connection. We gave it one star because we couldn't find a star with a zero rating.

Our stay at Best Western was very convenient, comfortable, affordable, and clean, the staff is marvelous, very courteous, friendly , I would recommend Best Western Hotels because they live up to the standards they list and very pet friendly except for the one in Dallas, Oregon

Miner's Inn Yreka Management needs to be checkout by BBB 830371237 The employees at Best Western Miner's Inn are incredible! I look at the furniture it's only obvious the owners of the don't care! So sad..Update your rooms!

To Whom It May Concern; We arrived at your hotel on February 25th 2022 approximately 1030 pm. We were given the keys to room 266. Brought our items up to the room, unpacked settled in and turned our heaters on as the room was extremely freezing cold. The one heater hardly worked, so that room remained cold. All three heaters reeked of stale cigarette smoke and old food. We are all NON SMOKING! I tried to lay there and I couldn't do it even with the sheet over my nose. I had an instant headache and didn't feel well from the smell and stench of the room. Not to mention the sink didn't drain..... So I contacted the front desk and they allowed us to switch rooms. We then went to room 270. Same thing the room was FREEZING! The smoke detector was beeping and all of the clocks were blinking in the one bedroom. Seems as though there was a power failure in that specific room??? The chair in there had stains that looked like someone urinated on it. I covered it with a sheet!! Well back to the heaters, two worked, the one in the other room absolutely did not work. My daughter and I slept in that room with multiple blankets and with our heavy jackets on and ugg boots. My 80 year old father who isn't well had to sleep with multiple towels on him in order to stay warm. We barely slept.... we woke up the next morning and while checking out I brought all of this awful experience to the front desk girl and she spoke with a manager and she told me that the room would only cost $44.80 for the night. I agreed. I looked at my credit card statement and it says I'm being charged $151.76 and only received $44.80 off. I WOULD have NEVER agreed to this!! This by far was the worse best western I have ever stayed at. Not to mention the awful experience. I am expecting to only pay $44.80 for the hotel room for the night, as promised and would like a refund of $106.96. Thank you

this place is great, the staff is amazing and helpful, the rooms are clean and comfy what more do you need. If your in the area and need a great location to stay i highly recommend it, we will most certainly return.

The room was very clean, and the staff was very helpful. The bathroom was the cleanest and best I have seen in a long time. Parking at this location was easy, pulling a trailer sometimes the location does not have the space, but this location did. We got in late but the area was light well making security of the trailer easy.

This hotel is right off i5, easy to get to, the rooms are very clean and beds are wonderful. I appreciate being able to park either directly in front of my room or close to it (I always request a first floor room, this hotel is 2 stories). Breakfast was very pleasant, there was a variety of hot and cold items.

Absolutely amazing. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels through my work in the past and worked at a few as well. This place is one of the best I have stayed at. It's absolutely beautiful and they spared no expense here from the crown molding in the room to the really comfy beds to the catv with multiple premium channels. The WIFI is ridiculously fast and areas for your dogs to walk and a playground for kids. This is the only hotel that I have been put in one of the back buildings and feel like I don't need to watch my car which is a huge plus. The front desk girl was very nice as well.

Clean, spacious, creekside room with patio...good breakfast, lots of towels and thoughtful amenities -we had everything we needed to make our stay very pleasant...but glad we brought our own pillows! Super nice staff!

Have stayed several times when driving LA to WA, usually w/ pet, and have found the staff quite welcoming and gracious even when minor housekeeping failings occasionally pop up. Room is good sized, internet works reasonably well for email & surfing, dunno about streaming, and as of mid Nov 2021 hot breakfast is back, even if limited, while grab 'n go is there to complement the eggs, bacon, taters, and biscuits & gravy.

After not being able to check in for hours, we were overcharged for our room that we booked online. When we checked out and saw the receipt, we told them about the overcharge. They said it was because we were moved to a different room and it was an upgrade. They stated we asked for the upgrade. We worked for weeks with the hotel directly (very rude) and opened up a customer service ticket but they said since we asked for an upgrade they would not refund the difference. We never asked to be moved nor an upgrade. Very poor treatment. Will not stay here ever again. They are crooked.

Your stay here is always comfortable. It is quiet and has great sleeping accommodations. It is close to the historical downtown area so everything is within walking distance. If you get the chance try out Sting's Italian Restaurant...Delicious every time we have gone there. On the other side of town is Smoked Tomato Pie which is wonderful pizza.

After a long drive it was nice to stay at a clean helpful quiet place near the freeway no less. Plenty of room. We would of liked a better breakfast but understanding of different rules because of the pandemic..

Many surprises in this Yreka, CA hotel. Very clean & very quiet-one of the most quiet hotels I've stayed in. Very basic, but they do it well. The bed was a little harder 5han I like, but my husband loved it.

Our only issue with our stay this time was lack of internet. All other amenities were as expected. The location is perfect for us while visiting family. It is within walking distance of an excellent Italian restaurant, Strings, and only a few blocks of other good restaurants. I highly recommend this property.

Quality and cleanliness of the room was very good. Pricing for the room was good when compared to equivalent hotels in the area. Check-in was delayed due to room readiness issues. We have stayed at this hotel each of the last few years and this is the second time our check-in has been delayed due to what appears to be a staff shortage. The staff we observed cleaning and turning rooms around appeared to be working very expediently.

I made a reservation online with this Yreka motel in 2021 august for one night. When I checked out I paid cash. The next day my debit card was charged. I called the corperate office and opened a help ticket that should have had a response in 2-5 days. I chose to call the motel in Yreka directly and I was given the run around EVERY time I called. I was told to call back and ask for this person who was the manager, then I would call and that person would tell me to ask for a different person until they altogether stopped taking my calls and would just put me on hold. These women are thieves and should be jailed, but then again this is what you get when you defund the freaking police!!!!! Calling corperate again today and having them call directly right now to investigate. I hope this wrong can be made right, but NEVER PAY CASH AT THIS MOTEL, THEY WILL POCKET THE MONEY AND CHARGE YOUR CARD!!!!

Have stayed at this Hotel many times in the past....reservations and credit card charges inaccurate, property is extremely run down, homeless living in the back lot by the creek, tweekers in parking lot yelling and cussing at each other, it has really gone down hill.

Everything was great except breakfast. Not enough choices and no juice and milk available. Only muffin was gluten free, daisy free, nut free, and yucky! Room was clean and tidy upon arrival. Bed was comfortable.

We have stayed here annually for the last decade and been pleased with a clean room and pleasant staff. This time the room was not adequately cleaned and stocked with needed supplies. We made three trips to the office to secure supplies like cups, tp, towels, etc. We were told they are under staffed. That's understandable considering it is a national problem, however, the hotel should only rent the number of rooms they can keep clean as their reputation will suffer. With covid still a problem it is not a time to be lax with cleaning. The pool area was tidy, however, there were no towels.

This was the best hotel experience we had during our road trip, which included stops at many cities and staying in multiple locations, some considered “upscale.” Nice, spacious room, clean space with full working amenities, and kind staff. Our baby left her favorite pacifier on one of the beds and Mom and Dad didn't notice. As we were driving to our next location, Mom didn't feel good about it and figured a call couldn't hurt. Dad called and asked if the staff could see if they could locate it and mail it to us. Mom wasn't sure what would happen, but we tried! When we arrived home, pacifier had been mailed at about a $5 expense! It seems simple, but it is the little things that really make a difference. This was the icing on the cake as this location was already our top stay. We'd stay here again: 1000%. Thank you!!!

WIFI sucks. Room was fairly clean, but not quite. Beds were comfortable. Highlight wwere the microwave burrittos at the breakfast bar.. Housekeeping staff was the most helpful. Much more so than the front desk.

My first night reservation was cancelled by the hotel the night before my visit and I had to book another room an hour away that was more expensive. I asked the manager for a discount on my 2nd reservation for my return trip to accommodate for their last minute cancellation and never received a response. At check-in for the 2nd night our room was not ready, so we took the kids to the pool to swim while we waited, The water was greenish and even had a slight smell of algae. Since it was over 100 degrees we let the kids swim anyway and bathed afterward. Once we got our room, we found that even though we booked a 2-king suite we were only given a 2-queen suite., but we chose to stay in place since we had already brought in all of our belongings. The kitchenette in the suite had no pots or pans, no cooking utensils, no dish ware, no glasses, and no forks, knives, or spoons. There were 2 plates and a handful of salad plates and nothing else! The suite was next to a busy road and the sounds of cars driving right by the windows could be heard throughout the night, even over our white noise machines. The upsides to our stay were that the breakfast had decent options, the beds and pillows were comfortable, and the rooms were dark enough for putting the kids to bed early - the blackout curtains did their job.

We drove 10-hours and arrived at 6:00 pm, and instead of finding a comfortable bed, we were given a key to a room that was still dirty and had not been cleaned from the previous stay. We went back up front and explained to them. They wanted us to wait while the room was cleaned. The front desk called housekeeping and they said it would be cleaned right away. We waited 30 minutes and while we saw the housekeepers in the parking lot talking, smoking and eating, we never saw them actually cleaning. After the 30 minutes, we checked with the front desk again, and asked to be checked into two separate rooms instead of a suite. They were able to accommodate us that is how it was solved. I finally got to check in my room at 7:00pm and get my my elderly, frail father into his. There were no other things to offer us an apology besides we only paid for one room instead of two. They didn't even give us water bottles, even though it was over 100 degrees there. The two rooms we were given were fine - clean and quiet. And I do understand the housekeepers needing a break. But, I think they could have waited another 30 minutes until our two-bedroom suite we reserved was cleaned.

We checked into Best Western Miners Inn in Yreka on 3rd July 21 at 4:30pm. When we arrived the receptionist said the room was not ready and it will take 1.5 hours to get the room. She mentioned they were short staffed and hence the delay. It was 100 degree outside it was hard to wait outside. We asked them to text or call us when room is ready and she refused. We went in after 1.5 hours and they said room was still not ready and it would take another hour or more. The receptionist was rude and unapologetic . After 2 hours ,Since we did not get the room we went and waited in the reception. While we were waiting in the reception at 7pm she had checked in 3 other people. I asked her how others who came later than us were getting room . She did not give proper response to this. We recieved the room finally at 7:30pm. I asked her if she was going to give discount since there was 4.30 hour delay from their side. She profoundly said no. She said room was already discounted. She also did not mention that there was free breakfast. Through out the entire process receptionist did not smile or apologize even once. We had a child in our group and we wanted to use the pool to keep him entertained. She refused that too and said pool had some problem. We had seen people in the room earlier. Room was decent. Room Phone was not working. Rest everything was ok. We will not stay in Best Western ever again. Experience was very pathetic.

Our room was not ready at the schedule check in time; we came back twice to check in. We were told the room was being cleaned. Once arriving to our room The bathroom smelled of urine, the toilet had dried urine and hair all over it and was a very dirty bathroom. Both pools a Were closed and it was over 100° outside. One of the only rooms reasons I booked that room at that particular hotel, was because it had a swimming pool.

Even though this was a BW chain hotel, I still felt like I was staying in a locally owned property, but with the quality I've come to expect from Best Western properties. The staff was very friendly and the woman who checked us in was able to provide 2 recommendations for dinner (which unfortunately did not work out). The staff were wearing masks when we checked in, but we were notified that the mask mandates for the area had recently been lifted, but they were still working behind a plastic desk shield. Our room was comfortable and spacious. There was a fridge and a microwave in the room. The breakfast was "grab n go" style (but that's most BW hotels these days in the pandemic). The entrees were either a sausage & egg burrito or a sausage & egg english muffin. You could also have yogurt, almond milk (a nice surprise!)

We had all sorts of trouble with the wi-fi password...as written it looked like it had some capital letters but it was all lower case...Oversized rooms were unexpected and appeared as recent construction or maybe remodel. All the standard Best Western equipment, coffee maker, microwave, mini-fridge, plastic glasses and excellent internet. Pretty small flat screen, maybe 25”TV considering rooms size but that is being hyper-critical.

The room was quite outdated compared to most I have stayed with. The rate was about the same as I typically receive. Bathroom had mildew on the walls and tub could have used a deep cleaning, other than that

We were making our first stop on a trip to Southern California from Oregon. Just a one night stay in Yreka. It's a cute 'cowboy town' in Northern California. This Best Western is not fancy, but it is one of the best kept older motel/hotels we've stayed in. Although the decor is a little out of date, it is in perfect condition and spotless. The flat screen TV is not large, but was in excellent condition and a very up-to-date remote. The shower was spotless, not a speck of mildew anywhere. Not a speck of dirt on any of the tile or grout in any of the bathroom. It is seriously one of the cleanest hotels I've ever been in. Well done Best Western!

Every time I use a best western. Im never let down. I appreciate that. When your traveling you want to be restored ready for your next day of travel. Best western offers that. I could stay anywhere I always chose you guys. Way to go !

Excellent stay. I was gearing up for minimalist accommodations as a one star hotel. NOT. Check in was easy and quick. Our room for 3 adults and one child was spacious, very clean, updated, plenty of toiletries. It was quiet. The pet area was large, clean, with doggie bags and a clean waste bin. And you can't beat the price and location just off Interstate 5. Thank you to all who make this a great value for a family stay!

A friend and I spent one night, traveling through. The room was large, and the beds were very comfy! I liked the 2nd sink outside of the bathroom! The grab and go breakfast was actually pretty varied! There was cereal, rolls, fruit, yogurt, the usual drinks. I was glad they had gluten free cereal and almond milk!

I stay at this Hotel a couple times a year when traveling from LA to Portland. Very clean rooms and property. The staff are wonderful and the hotel is very peaceful and quiet at night. You can walk around the town and enjoy the eateries which are real good.and only a very short walk from hotel. I would recommend this property for a nice relaxing evening after a day of travel. You wont be sorry !!

My wife, two dogs and I arrived at dusk right in front of a snow storm. Check in was a “Covid” breeze, the room was clean and spacious. The bed was fine and there was easy access to take our dogs out. We parked our loaded vehicle right in front of our door without any issues. This was perfect for our needs and we would return.

Great place to stay... have been staying here for years and have never been disappointed with room or staff.... convenient on and off to I-5. Many good restaurants to choose... our favorite stop in Northern California ‼️

The place needs remodeled. It appears that many things have been repaired by a handyman but not to match the rest of the place. We had a queen sized bed but some sort of mattress topper that appeared to be only a full bed size. It made the edges of the bed slope off too much.

Don't hesitate to book a room here. It's a large complex with clean rooms and clean facilities throughout. We didn't use the pool as we were there in Feb. however it looked clean and well kept. Super friendly staff. Excellent value for your money.

Our room was super clean and smoke free. I appreciated the quick delivery of extra towels when we asked the front desk. The bedding was clean and seemed new. The staff wore masks which I appreciated because a lot of people in the town I was visiting didn't wear them.

I was driving home from LA county where my brother recently passed away and I was exhausted. It had been 9 hours behind the wheel, I needed to stop for a good night sleep. I got off the 1st exit to Yreka, but the hotels didn't look safe, so I went to the convenience store to buy a few more beverages on case I needed to drive further. Just then, by friend sent me a link to BW Miners Inn. I drove to the next exit, noticed 5 people in front of me waiting to check in. There was a sign on the door mentioning to wear masks. There was also a giant cardboard sign about being protected. Two staff members came out of the office, not wearing masks. I was appalled. We are in a pandemic and I assumed that it was BW company standards to protect guests. All of a sudden, a gentleman returned with his keys saying, "I don't think the man wants to share his room with me". They had given him a room that was already occupied. It was finally my turn to see if they had any rooms available, they did, for $134.00. I was excited to finally get into a bed for a good night sleep. Well...... what a room. It was freezing! The lamps and furnishings were from the 70's and fabric chairs i had to cover with a towel to sit down. I went in the bathroom to wash my hands and face before bed and I scalded my hand on the steaming HOT water, it was extremely hot!! Thank God a child or elderly person wasn't with me. I was able to heat up the room a bit, but not the bathroom or entry way, it remained freezing cold. I laid in bed and when I would roll over, the mattress creaked. It was not a peaceful sleep like my mind and body needed. I woke up early to finish my drive home, didn't even bother taking a shower because it was an ice box and I didn't want to burn myself. I went to check out and guess what?? The employee was not wearing a mask! It was an awful experience and I decided to write to BW corporate and they replied with an email saying the Miners Inn has 2-5 days to respond to my request for a refund. Five days came and went, nothing. I replied back and they said to give them more time. It has now been 10 days and I'm writing this review. BW will not have me as a guest in the future. They could at least acknowledge that they are not protecting the public, listen to my complaints and give me my money back.

The guests and employees were not wearing masks in the public lobby spaces during my check-in and check-out periods. Now I have to return home and place my family at risk due to their negligence. I will not be staying here in the future.

This property was also hosting more than a dozen workers from Loggers Unlimited. In the morning these guys are like a bunch of thugs. Fire up their trucks early in the morning right out side your door. Idle for 45 minutes and shine their lights in the windows. They had plenty of room in the huge lot but they chose to make all the other visitors miserable.

Overall pleasantly surprised with the room. Right next to the freeway but did not hear the freeway noise. Rooms are fairly small, the bed was super comfortable, and they offered traditional amenities including a microwave and Refrigerator. Seem to be taking Covid precautions, they did their best to provide a grab and go breakfast. Our room had a nice little patio outback unfortunately some of the other guests used it for a smoking area. Hotel is located close to walk king distance from old town Yreka, which has several restaurants. Was a good stop for a night

The facility was nice and the staff were helpful and pleasant, but the cleanliness of the room leaves a lot to be desired. I spent about ~45 minutes wiping things down because there were fingerprint smudges on the door, lightswitch, AC, phone, exposed surfaces, cabinet doors, door handles, etc. It was clear a thorough cleaning job was not done on the room. There was grime and liquid stains on the AC controls and the overall level of cleanliness in the room during the COVID crisis did NOT give my much confidence in the safety of the facility.

Day 1 of a 2 week road trip, and we found Best Western Miner's Inn. I cant imagine this area being a destination, unless your fighting fires or something, but as a stop-over on our way North, this place worked very well. It was clean and comfortable and you cannot ask for more. I would stay again, and I recommend it to you as well. They did well with all the COVID precautions, and I always loook forward to the BW breakfast room, which was downgraded to grab n go; not their fault at all. The only thing that kept this from a full 5 mark excellent rating was the pool area was a little unkept, and the water was actually freezing (painfully) cold. It was 104 out, so this was a bit of a bummer.

Well all I can say is this place is great! The front staff and the maintenance staff were so helpful. Shout out to Dani C., Casey J. and Josh... These are great employee and they all deserve a raise as far as I am concerned! They all were such a joy to work with. We will definitely be staying the next time we are driving back this way.

Room was clean, well furnished and decorated with a nice view of the creek. A good breakfast that was complimentary and thick walls that prevented the noise from neighbors passing through. Also firm mattresses and pillows for a comfortable sleep. Generous supply of coffee and toiletries were so very welcome.

The hotel was busy, but it was quite. We got a 2 bedroom suite and it was so roomy. We stayed in the adjoining set of rooms near the main hotel. I appreciated the breakfast, especially during this pandemic. They offered gluten free cereal and milk (dairy and non dairy), and fruit, and gluten free bagel as well as pastries. Would definitely stay here again.

Booked my Wife and Daughter into the Miners Inn for one night on 8/9. They had to leave in the middle of the night due to huge cockroaches coming from the bed. Truly disgusting!!! STAY AWAY FROM YHIS PLACE!

We were traveling home from visiting family in Northern California to Vancouver,Washington. It's a 10 + hour drive. We were looking for somewhere half way and found this hotel. Room was great staff friendly and we were rested enough to have a lovely trip home.

We are always pleased with how friendly staff is at Best Western hotels, and this trip was no exception. However, under the current COVID conditions, traveling comes with extra concerns and anxieties. When we checked in, the front desk staff did not don a mask and we found trash on the floor of our room from a previous guest. These incidents eroded my confidence that this location is taking COVID protocols seriously. I would avoid this location as long as COVID remains a concern.

I booked a room with two queen beds and i was very surprised to see the rooms so spacious. It was like a mini suite without a pull out sofa. Very clean and very comfortable beds. The rooms have a sliding glass door so you can enjoy yourself on the balcony. They have benches and are pet friendly. The hotel has two pools and a playground for children. There is a gas station at walking distance and small eateries. Down the street is Historic Yreka. Nice walk down the street and back with lots of history. There isn't much to do, great place to just relax. It's 35 mins away from lake siskiyou.

This is a great jump-off point for Mt. Shasta, the waterfalls in the McCloud area and McArthur-Burney Falls or the Pacific Crest Trail. About half of people out were wearing masks. Yreka is a quite sleepy little town with plenty of restaurant choices. Only 45 minutes from Ashland Oregon as well, a really fun small town.

July 4th weekend...... parking lot closed due to repaving; pool closed due to no county testing of pool; lousy pre-packaged breakfast with little effort..... no pre-warning about pool, parking lot or breakfast and no price break either.

The room was nice and clean. Overall I was happy with the room. They advertise Full Breakfast with room. This was not the case. The day I was there they offered yogurt, cereal and no milk. This was mid way through the breakfast time. My dad went earlier. An hour after breakfast opened they had the same thing. I complained to cooperate in an email and no response from them either. I will followup with them again or make a different complaint. This isn't right when you pay the higher rate to stay here for this to be included and they choose not to.

I traveled many miles I get there and I'm not happy also worried about getting the CoronaVirus with the room being so dirty The lady at the front desk tried to argue with me. The room was dirty and shower was dirty

I have stayed here a few times. Someone has decided not to clean the rooms properly. The first room they put me in was #107 the smell of urine hit you as soon as you opened the door. They moved me to 104 and you can still smell it but not as bad. I arrived at 11pm so I was really tired. I opened the back sliding door and turned on the air hoping to circulate the air in the room and it made it worse. I slept with my head under the covers and the smell kept getting worse.

One of the worst stays anywhere ever. First room was now cleaned and under repair ( I asked at check in to make sure it was ready). Moved to a second room, barely better. Dried food on the stove, toothpaste on the shower tile, dried wine on the table, beer bottle caps on the chairs. Just stay elsewhere!!'

I stayed at the best western miners inn Yreka, CA on Friday May 1, 2020 and I woke up Saturday morning with 16 BUG BITES ON MY BODY!!! I let the lady working at the front desk know and she told me to call and talk to a manager. Today is Tuesday and after my 5th call to them over 4 days I finally spoke to the general manager. (After leaving several messages and no one calling me back) The general manager offered me a 10% discount. He said a refund is against their policy and when I asked to speak to the owner, the general manager said that I can't talk to them. I will NEVER stay at this place again! What a slap in the face to be treated so poorly by the management there on top of grossing out about being eaten alive by bugs while I slept at their hotel. JUST MORTIFIED!! since have been a loyal patron of Best Western for years and hope corporate can fix this. I also hope the health department can investigate my complaint and report.

Pick another hotel. Cost was high for what you get. Dirty room. Had to ask for extra blanket, had to go down to lobby to pick up blanket therefore had to change out of bed clothes. No bathroom supplies. unpleasant stay. Will not use BW again.

Reliable, go to place. Maybe better if staff don't sit/smoke outside front door? looks, smells bad. Walked thru cloud of haze that choked me up! Rooms fine for short stay, frint part are small, prefer back/Nor section, larger rooms.

Clean, comfortable bed, and decent food for breakfeast. Plus bonus points for Bestwestern memebes! Easy check in. Hot shower with clean rooms. Felt secure in small town with well lit parking just ouside hotel door.:)

I pull a trailer on business and this hotel has always been able to accommodate me with parking. Rooms are quiet. Beds are good There's dinner within walking distance. Breakfast is typical hotel buffet. Easy on and off the freeway. And the price is right. What's not to like?

Conveniently located about about halfway between the bay area and Portland. Very average Motel with ample parking. Rooms are clean but small and dated . Television channels are limited and showers have minimal water pressure. Priced about 20% more that than the value of the rooms but that is probably because higher level BW's are an hour or more further away.

Staying at this hotel is always exceptional. The beds are great. The room amenities are wonderful. We have been staying at this hotel for 25 years. It is a home away from home. We have stayed there multiple days for work and overnight stops on trips to other places.

Friendly staff and good breakfast. Motel is older and the out side looks a bit run down but they have free wifi, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. It was a good value for the money. Good location too.

This Best Western is off the freeway and is in a quite location. No road noise. The breakfast is fantastic. The rooms are very clean and comfy. No freezer in the refrigerator. It looks like it was recently remodeled. The beds are on a platform and the mattress is very comfy. A great place to stay before crossing the mountains either way.

Everything went smoothly, and the fenced area behind the room was very appreciated!! (by my dog too :) ). The room heated up quickly, and the microwave was handy. I didn't use the TV or shower, so can't comment on that.

I stayed here a little over a year ago and they were working on upgrading the hotel. My room was completely updated with new furniture and carpet. The exterior of the hotel has also been updated. It was clean and the bed was comfortable for a good night sleep. Staff was friendly and the breakfast was about average for a Best Western. I would definitely stay here again if on the way through the area.

I stayed in a Creekside room. Don't expect to actually see the creek, but the sliding glass door led out to a grassy area, which was convenient to be able to let the dog out (leashed), when needed. Despite the proximity to the highway, the room was very quiet. This was an ideal place to stay with a dog as a traveling companion.

Front desk welcoming, Large and comfortable room, clean and quiet, Friendly and helpful staff, Peaceful creek side, Comfy bed in a nice setting room. Convenient microwave, refrigerator in an armoire, We will gladly come back Free WiFi, We Will gladly come back.

We really enjoyed our stay at this motel. It is clean and comfortable and the rooms are amazing. It is easy off easy onto the freeway and one of the best restaurants in Yreka is right in front of the the motel.

This hotel was comfortable, clean & offered a good free breakfast. I would definitely stay here again! Breakfast offered waffles, country gravy & biscuits, bacon, etc. There is no elevator so if you're on the 2nd floor plan on lugging your luggage up. Beds were really comfortable!

The employees are very polite and helpful. The rooms are very clean and comfortable They have free Wi-Fi and a very nice breakfast. there are nice restaurants near by and there is also a Casino about 5 to 10 minutes away.

Was a great place would definitely stay here again. Every thing was wonderful and clean very quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful as well. Great location close to freeway and good food. We will definitely stay here next trip to Sacramento (this was our half way point).

The room was clean, updated, and large. I was very comfortable. There is a small park behind the south facing wing and a nice grassy area in the courtyard - very convenient if you are travelling with pets or kids. The room was reasonably quiet given that it is right on the parking lot and near the freeway. The only complaint is that the hvac roared like a semi truck - but that is not uncommon in these types of motels - and the towels were scratchy. But it really is a great value for the money and extremely convenient. I will certainly stop there again when I am travelling I5 back and forth to visit family. I had a pet friendly room and it was very nice, not worn and dirty like many rooms reserved for pets in other hotel/motels.

Nice hotel, friendly staff and the dog friendly rooms have a nice large lawn area right outside the rooms making our stay easy and relaxing. Location is an easy access to and off the freeway. Close to restaurants and shops.

After being on the road all day, this place was perfect. We stayed in a suite and made dinner. Enjoyed the space! Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was hot and amazing! We were able to relax and get a good nights sleep.

I stayed here while working in Dispatch for fires. Very nice place, room was very quiet even with all the other fire people. The only issue was house keeping. The first evening I came back to my room the door was left open by house keeping. I talked to the front office and it did not happen again. But house keeping needs some training as my coffee and coffee cups were never replaced. After working 12 to 14 hour days the last thing I wanted to do every night was go get my own for the next morning. Another person had to get his own towels every time. The people working the front desk were very helpful though. I would stay here again as I felt safe.

This motel was okay but it did not seem to be the caliber of a Best Western. It is huge and takes up about 3 blocks. The room was clean but the bed and bedding were old. The TV reception was not very good. The WI-FI worked okay. The breakfast was good. The people at the reception desk were nice.

The staff were friendly, the room was clean and spacious, the bed and pillows were comfortable, the air conditioning worked and the shower, unlike many other motels, was easy to figure out and use. The towels, however, could have been a bits softer and fluffier. The breakfast was fine. I would have preferred sausage over bacon but that is just a personal preference. There was no fresh fruit, like apples or bananas and the food service line was very poorly planed, you had to go to the middle for a plate, knife and fork then back to the beginning for a spoon, one end for cereal, the other end for milk, kind of craze, the flow through the food line was just chaos, no rhyme or reason to it, but the important part is the the food they had was rather good. No real legitimate complaints on my part. I would not hesitate to stay there again, overall, very good.

Very clean and comfortable. Best hotel in Yreka. We own a business in yreka and visit a couple times a year. This was our best hotel stay to date. I highly recommend this best western. It might be a few dollars more but you won't regret it.

Rooms were clean and had plenty of space. There was a nice little seating area by the pool for smokers, and the area seemed to be safe and secure. Breakfast was a full breakfast and donuts were wrapped for complimentary 'take away'. Beds and bedding were very comfortable, got a good night's rest. In room coffee was plentiful. Would stay here again, nice location.

Overall very clean, quiet, and comfortable. Very comfortable beds! Nice to have decent breakfast on site if you don't feel like going out. Great staff and decent restaurants nearby. I will stay here again the next time I am in this area.

We have stayed here multiple times when traveling I-5. This was the first time to book the two bedroom suite since we were traveling with grandchildren. Very nice room, clean, spacious with pool outside the door. The breakfast room gets crowded when the hotel is mostly filled and this time it seemed they were having trouble keeping items stocked and there was no coffee when we arrived for breakfast at 7:30 am. But this is the first time we have encountered this problem.

Easty on/off I-5. Staff was really nice. This is an older motel but they have remodeled it a bit and it is very clean. The beds are super comfy and the pool area clean and nice. My only complaint is that the AC units are old and very loud. We woke up everytime the unit cycled on and they are right next to the bed so you can't help but hear it. I did hear from the hotel manager when I reviewed on the BW site and was informed that they are working on replacing the old units. Next time I need to stay in the area, I will call ahead and if those units are replaced I would not hesitate to stay again.

Very clean and attentive personnel. The location was convenient to coffee and food as well as the highway. Nice pool and snack area where you could pick up coffee and hot chocolate at anytime. Felt like a safe environment.

My room smelled strange so I went back to the front desk and asked for another and he offered me the room right next-door which also smelled bad. The front desk clerk didn't know why it would I said it smelled a bit like bug spray a really strong cleaning supplies but, because it was late I'd had a long day and I was even too tired to explore the town I just decided to keep the door open all evening and sleep with the window open at night. I slept in my down puffer. In the morning I woke up nausea and a stomachache. I asked when I left if they'd sprayed for bugs recently and the front desk confirmed that yes in fact they had. I left before sunrise the next morning. But I think it is unconscionable put people in a room where you sprayed chemicals specially pregnant women, young children, people with asthma, allergies or chemical sensitivities and not to disclose this.

Pool in the area where family suites located was closed. Exception to the closure is evidently "friends of the manager", who are permitted to use the pool, smoke pot, and drink beer (in glass bottles) in the pool area. Customers can't use the pool to swim...

We arrived at the reception to be met by a young receptionist who took our details and gave us a card key to room 111 . We went to this room to find a couple in bed having sex. So back to the reception and a new card key for room 103. We went to this room and found an elderly lady resident in it. Back we went to reception, checked our card hadn't been charged and moved on. Have to say it was an amusing experience but not what's expected when checking into a motel for the night. The young receptionist was , I have to say professional at all times in her dealings with us.

They were out of hot breakfast items one day. The internet was excruciatingly slow. The air conditioner cycling kept waking me up. Probably the best place in Yreka, but that really isn't saying much. Not a Best Western fan.

Arrived at 1:30 pm, told cannot check in until 3:00, even though we explained when making reservation that my wife had a broken ankle and we would be arriving early. We returned at 3:00 and were told our room was on the dirty list and would not be ready until 5-6:00 - the same story they were telling 3 other senior couple who had been waiting in the lobby. This is a large property, maybe 70 rooms or so, all facing the open parking lot. There was no evidence of housecleaning crews anywhere, and no cars in the parking lot. The manager obviously was lying to us when he said they were very busy the night before - they were not, according to the restaurant manager across the street. We went elsewhere and are done with BW. P.S. the hotel was listed as “ not available” on BW website for the next two nights.

I will not recommend this I didn't like it at all and when I need a manager or supervisor there was none of those to help me I had a lot of problems with my room And there was nobody to help me when I went to check out the lady who checked me out was talking on the phone she even put me attention

I stayed at the Miner's Inn for just the one night. It's a Best Western like the thousands of others so good price for good quality. Plenty of parking space available. Super friendly guy at the front desk. Happy with my choice :)

My wife & I stay at this Best Western, Miner's Inn Motel every year when we & our associates provide an Old Wild West Cowboy show as part of the Gold Rush Day's entertainment. We have always found this motel to be reasonably priced with excellent amenities. Our rooms have always been clean & well kept & surprisingly quiet. The management have always been extra accommodating when we request downstairs rooms, as we do have a large amount of clothing ETC for our shows. Our rooms also came with microwave & refrigerator which can be very helpful especially when the weather is hot as it was this Father's Day weekend. There is also a provided hot breakfast consisting of scrambled eggs, bacon, waffles, hard boiled eggs, muffins, yogurt, coffee, juices ETC or if you prefer cereals, milk & fruit. Certainly enough to get you started for the day. For those that have the time & inclination there is a very adequate swimming pool. The parking facilities are huge even if you are hauling a trailer, boat or what have you. Plus the motel is conveniently within walking distance to shopping & dinning. Over all this motel is an Ideal place to stay at for a few days or even if you are on your way elsewhere & need a place to relax & rest for a night, you will not be disappointed.

When we arrived, it was 92 degrees. The AC was not on in our room, so it was hot. How nice it would have been to walk into a cool room. We quickly discovered that the table in front of the AC unit prevented most of the cold air from getting into the room, so we moved the table and chairs. Eventually, the room cooled down. I found the desk chair to be too low for the desk, and it was lumpy and uncomfortable. It was unusable. The bed was soft and lumpy in places, and the towels were tiny. But the room was clean, the shower head was great, and we appreciated the fridge. Breakfast is basic, which is fine, but the decaf was so weak it didn't even look like black tea. I would not stay here again.

A converted motor lodge, the property itself is old. Furnishings are older. New paint and crown moldings have been added to the rooms. I was concerned about the customer service ratings but the staff has been very friendly. The room was relatively clean. Bedding and towels were cleaned and properly but the bath towels are on the small and thin side. Behind the toilet and the mirror could have used a little attention. The showers are adequate and appeared clean. Toilet seat is not properly bolted down and slides around. The tv is small and chairs are not very comfortable. All were livable but the primary reason for my review was the condition and comfort of the mattress. It lookes like the ocean waves with excessive depressions on both sides and you can feel the intercoil springs. Not comfortable at all.

First time used Best Western chain in 30 yrs. Not impressed. The rooms were large and clean. Will give them that. Told it had been remodeled. Maybe it was, but shower enclosure needed work. Furniture needed updating, white linen yellowed, and mattress needed replacing. Front desk clerk too lazy to change rooms at check in when asked to be moved to front of property. Not a full house. Really 2.5 stars. Big ick factor. At Best Western in Lemoore, CA now. Beautiful property. 4-5 stars. Best Western redeemed.

We booked two bedroom suite because they are in a quiet area. The pool in that area was in a renovation mode, and it was empty.... which considerably helped in maintaining quiet atmosphere. The suite was well equipped, kitchenette was nice although we didn't use it. Bed was very comfortable, and super friendly staff was lovely.

It was our return trip from Federal Way, Washington where we visited family for 2 weeks. We arrived about 2 hours before normal check-in and were a bit road worn after getting through Portland, Oregons earily work traffic. The front deck checked us in and then checked with her chambermaids on the status of our room. The chambermaids stopped preparing another room to prepare our room for us. Within about 20 minutes our room was ready for us to occupy. Kudos to the chambermaid team. Thank you again. I'm retired now, but I traveled for the State of California for 30 years and I've always stayed at a Best Western facility.

Right off of I-5, easy access. Very affordable, rooms are clean, and staff is excellent. They provide a full breakfast every morning. There are plenty of selections, whether you want a hot breakfast or cold. Enjoy our stay every time!! Will definately come back!!

what a great place to spend the night , very clean and quiet, front desk made getting in and out very easy,plenty of parking and our room was large , for an older hotel it looked like new, i would recommend a stay here to anyone in neigh hood and I will stay here again

Our room smelled like an ashtray, but since we had already changed rooms (we didn't want a room that adjoined another one due to noise issues with a motel with that door between the rooms setup), so we stayed in the smelly room. No room like that should be rented to anyone! Later, we discovered garbage in the room left behind by the previous guests. Made us wonder what other potential unseen unclean issues might be lurking. Next, we wanted to watch a little TV. The remote may have been clean (according to the pouch it was in), but it barely worked, making for a very frustrating battle with a tool that didn't do what it was supposed to do. To add to our frustration, the TV had so much snow and rain on the screen, it was hard to see the picture. Not only that, the volume faded and got louder constantly. Not a pleasant evening! The breakfast finished off our unpleasant experience at this place. The eggs and potatoes were so highly seasoned and unappetizing that I left looking forward to another meal down the road ASAP. The only redeeming qualities were a spacious and quiet room. We don't recommend this place at all.

This is a sprawling facility. Depending on where your room is located you might have a very long walk to the reception area/breakfast area. Check in was friendly and efficient. Sometimes they have popcorn and cookies in the lobby. There is a water cooler that was appreciated too and coffee is also available. Our room was huge. I'd booked a two bedroom suite and this place had a living room, kitchenette (with eating area) and two bedrooms - all of the rooms were very large. There was a total of three TV sets but only one bathroom. There were two full vanities with sink - one in the bathroom and the other in the hallway adjacent to one of the bedrooms. The furnishings are older and the chairs in the living room were on the garish side. Still and all we were comfortable and the price was very wallet friendly. I had called the hotel months before to verify that the two bedroom suite included two bathrooms and was told that it did. I was more than a little disappointed to find that I had been misinformed. The mattress we slept on had two body size indentations on each side so I ended up sleeping on the hump in the middle. The mattress is a pillow top that has seen rough treatment over the ensuing years. A mattress update is needed. All seemed clean though, the HVAC worked well and we had no problems. Breakfast was ok with most everything we needed - they didn't have flavored creamers for the coffee which is always a disappointment for me. I really enjoyed their sausage gravy as it seemed tastier than others. Oatmeal was in packages, they had a waffle maker, pastries, cereal and yogurt. Really nothing special except the quality of the sausage gravy. This stay wasn't quite as good as the last time I stayed here.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel a few weeks ago. I booked because it had good reviews and it was in the middle of the town. When we checked in we were amazed at all the interrogation we received about pets and smoking. We were then told that breakfast was from 6-9. Other Best Westerns are from 6-10, giving folks a chance to wake up. We checked into our room and went out to dinner. When we returned and I pulled back the covers on the bed I noticed the fitted sheet was coming off the mattress. I fixed it and the fun began. If I pulled on my side, my husband's side would come completely off and so the entire night went until 5am when I woke up to find myself sleeping on the bare mattress. I can't even explain how grossed out I was! You can't put a twin size sheet and mattress cover on a 18” thick queen! I decided we going to check out and find another hotel. Around 8:30 I called the front desk to tell them our problem and my solution but the woman who answered seemed as upset as I and said..........this is where the response got me ...”are you going out today? I will have housekeeping give the room an extra good cleaning”. Well, we did go out and when we returned, the room did look extra clean. In fact it even smelled cleaner AND the sheets on the mattress fit perfectly. Now my question to this hotel and to Best Western, are the rooms not given an “extra good cleaning” every time? This makes me wonder. We were traveling for 3 weeks and stayed at Best Westerns and Hamptons the whole time and this was the only one we had a problem. Now I expect the manager to respond with the standard....”sorry you were not happy with your stay”...”I'll have housekeeping look into it” so don't even bother. I just hope that others who read this will double check their rooms when they check in.

We stayed one night, 2 rooms on the "creek side" and was very satisfied. Came back a week later, again 2 rooms, for three nights. This time, even though we requested the creek side, were given two rooms in the older section. Rooms not as nice and there was a serious lack of towels, etc. in room. Had to go to to desk to get extra towels. During the day the maid didn't make the bed and was hard to determine if someone had even come in to clean.

Needed a place to stay on the way to Sacramento area from Oregon. Arrived in the early evening and staff was great. Very friendly and helpful. Clean and quite property close to the highway. Hot breakfast offered in the morning.

The rooms are comfortable and nicely furnished. We did not make it on time to the breakfast so I cannot rate it. The accommodations were clean and well maintained. Good shower and safety features. We have stayed here before and will stop again.

This is a very large motel right in downtown Yreka. Our rooms were around the corner near their conference center. Though it's an older hotel, you can tell it's been remodeled and the room was huge (2 queens). We had a pet, but the pet station was a bit of a walk across the parking lot and it is very dark with the grass a bit high. Fortunately, I always have a flashlight at night.. On the other side the pet station is closer to the office, and is more convenient well lit and better tended. The AC unit was a bit noisy so we turned it off. Luckily it was cooler outside, so it helped keep the room temperature tolerable.

This is our hotel of choice when traveling thru Yreaka on our way to the Bay Area.Have stayed here several times and have never been disappointed. They staff is great and helpful. Never have eaten breakfast as I like to sleep as long as I can. Highly recommend this hitel

We were on the road and wanted a clean and affordable place to stay. The property was clean with a grassy area and tables. The breakfasts are good with lots of options. The eating area had a view of the pool.

The hotel has obviously been renovating and the exterior and rooms appeared recently painted. There was plenty of parking and the breakfast was your standard hotel waffles, eggs, bacon with some fruit cereals. Pluses: Location, breakfast, room size, parking Minuses: Outdoor walkways were noisy from people some nights

We chose the hotel because it was dog friendly. We were placed in the conference area of the property - which I assume is where the dog friendly rooms are. There were very few occupied rooms in this area. But the rooms that were occupied, appeared to be "live-in" situations. The people we saw coming and going were very concerning and we did not feel completely safe in our room. If I had been staying alone, I would have requested to be moved to another building. The room was very nice - seemed quite clean and was spacious. Amenities were good, although we had issues logging onto the hotel wifi. The front desk helped us resolve the issue. Price was good, but I don't know if we would stay here again unless we could confirm we would be staying in the main building. We walked around town and had a great dinner at the Etna Brewing Company on Miner St. Highly recommend a stop there. They have just reopened and the food and drinks were wonderful.

Amazing customer service. Breakfast was hot and delicious. Waffles were excellent. Room was super fun with creak side view. The rooms were super clean and comfortable. The price was comparable with restaurants with in walking distance. After a long drive it was nice to not have to drive to a restaurant.

I've added this motel to my list of places to stay when we are traveling the I-5. The young woman at the desk was very nice and welcoming. We had a ground floor room with two queens and it was huge! There were two vanities; one in the washroom and one outside of it. No one had to wait to use the sink. The place was very clean, the linens and towels were clean and the bed was very comfortable. There was a table with two comfortable chairs as well as a desk. Add to all this the easy off and on the freeway and you get a great place to stay. We didn't eat the free breakfast so can't comment on that.

Driving on our way to AZ first night after a long day, Minor's Inn Best Western was a very pleasant finish. Great clean, friendly and lots of character. Yreka, CA I highly recommend. Little metal flowers, donkey and miner.

This is a bargain for their price point. ..Great place to lay your head down for the night with quality bed and pillows. Clean and fresh smell,which is a pleasure due to the weather they have in the winter. Breakfast is great, the buffet is clean,healthy,tasty and one of the better ones. BARGAIN all around

Check in was fast. The popcorn was a nice treat. We were able to get a downstairs room, that was nice. The grounds were well kept. Our room was clean and the mattress was comfortable. The breakfast selections were good.

The outside of this hotel doesn't look like much, but the room we had was absolutely awesome, and the price was right. Staff was more than friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay at Miners Inn.

My daughter and I stayed here on a road trip. It was quiet and comfortable. They desk people were nice and helpful. They suggested places to see while we were in the area. Easy to find and easy to find the freeway. I would stay here again anytime

I stayed for 3 days and the room was above average. It looked like they were remodeling so hopefully the amenities will be a little better. They did not seem very busy for the lack of cleanliness in the dinning area. On one day someone put a Do Not Disturb sign on the outside of my door (I still had my sign on the inside as well) so the room did not get cleaned. I brought that up to the office and they were willing to clean the room and apologized. I felt they handled it well. My only complaint was breakfast and for free breakfast I should probably not complain too much.

Traveling late and needed a good night sleep , nice room and comfortable bed, great breakfast and fast check out , great employees , vet quick check in with a very nice front desk lady , I will stay again

We have stopped here every year for at least 12 years and continue to be pleased with our stays. The rooms are always clean and the staff have been helpful. It is such a convenient place with restaurants close by. Breakfasts have both hot and cold selections which are usually well stocked.

Great room and value. The room was nice and the bed comfortable, The sheets were different and didn't have that odd feeling. Also the pillows were comfy. The dining areas are very close by to walk to. The staft was very nice. Check in and out was a breeze.

We booked here as we were passing through on a road trip and needed pet friendly accommodation. This is a fairly standard issue two storey roadside motel. The front desk clerk was friendly at check in, and helped us with our room requests and dinner recommendations. We requested a ground floor room so we could park right outside the door. Our room was in a somewhat older style but it was clean and in a good state of repair. We slept pretty well (couldn't hear road noise, but we were woken up a few times by guests arriving and departing). A standard issue motel breakfast is included in the stay (a simple buffet). Pet owners should be aware that the hotel charges a pet fee, which they are transparent about on their website and at check in.

Morning front desk gentleman - rude and not helpful. Book on Priceline or the like. Breakfast is free but not something I'd recommend consuming. Rooms are clean and nice and roomy. Beds are comfy. Bye

2nd time staying here during a road trip down to southern CA. Glad this time we got to stay in the main section, it's so much more convenient! Great room, super clean and comfy. Cute sliding glass back door to a little patio area. Last time we stayed the breakfast room was super crowded, but this time it was nice and quiet. Loved the breakfast options, especially the fluffy eggs. No complaints, but if I had to choose something it was that the conditioner dispenser in the bathtub had not been re-filled.

We stayed here for New Years Eve so we could visit the new Rain Rock Casino. It was about 2 miles from the casino but there was a shuttle service available. The rooms were very nice and clean. The beds were comfortable. They had free wifi that was fast and a free breakfast the next morning with waffles, scrambled eggs and sausage and many other choices. Highly recommended.!

Driving I-5 on New Year's Eve, we arrived at about 1AM. We've stayed here before. It's nice, well-maintained and pet-friendly. Always appreciate the free breakfast, although this one was a bit more meager than other BW's we've stayed in. The beds much have been comfortable because after I woke up, I couldn't get my wife, daughter, or our friend/traveling companion out of bed to get going. My only wish: that they might offer overnight charging for our all-electric vehicle.

Stayed here both going and coming back on a trip to Sacramento. Motel was in the process of some renovation but nothing that interfered with our stay. Room was clean, breakfast as good as any other. BW has become our hotel of choice.

I would have to say this Hotel was last minute stay. But was well worth it . I was able to come in at 1:30 am with my family of 5 we got a two bedroom with King size beds. It looked like an aprartment. We were warm and got some good rest.

This motel met all of our expectations. Fast, efficient service from reservations, to check-in, to check-out. The room was clean and spacious, the internet service was great, and the breakfast was tasty with lots of options. The bed was comfortable. The motel is in a pretty quiet area and is close to restaurants and gas stations and the freeway. The price was affordable, too. We would stay there again if we travel through Yreka, CA and need a place to stay the night.

We Love staying at this. One. WE don't have to go elsewhere for Breakfast. They have a Perfect variety and with something for everyone....The Dining Room staff were friendly and appeared to like each other and work well together. The Morning laughter was great to hear. First time ever in 20 years of traveling. I was bitten by bugs while sleeping in bed. did not see them, but bites on my legs, and arms. Maybe fleas, or other. not sure. reported to the desk, and was not impressed by the response...

I stayed here one night while passing through the area. I have to say this Best Western did not live up to my expectations of the chain. My room was dark, with outdated, dingy furniture. Maybe this was an attempt to make the place feel like the old west, but it just felt old. The lighting in the room was poor. The wifi was really, really slow. In the bathroom, the water pressure was awful. I know there is still a drought, but with halfway decent pressure you can take a shorter shower. They also did not provide any lotion; most BW hotels include a small bottle of hand lotion as part of the amenities. The breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast. There wasn't much variety, but it was enough to get the day started. The breakfast room appears small, but there is more seating in the back, which helped. This place was fine for just one night, but I'm glad I didn't stay any longer.

We only stay at a Best Western when traveling because they offer nice rooms and great pet areas for our dogs at a reasonable price. Also we like the breakfast, it is important to us to get a nice cup of coffee and a bite to eat before he have to head out.

This hotel was by far the best value for the money during our entire trip. A little hard to find but well worth the hunt. Excellent beds, slept all night with no interruptions. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a good nights sleep and excellent value.

Comfortable and accommodating to both humans and pets, this motel earns a repeat visit for value and accommodation. Surprisingly, a walk through old residencial Yreka uncovered many historic homes dated around 1900 or before.

This was my first visit visit to the Best Western Miners Inn. I was very pleased with the experience entering the Lobby. Very friendly reception by Steven, even at the late late hour of midnight when i checked in. The room was surprisingly comfortable, more than I expected. The bed very comfortable, slept well. I highly recommend the Miners inn.

Wonderful place to stay and great carvings and floral arrangements, close to High School for football and volleyball games. Close to all sorts of food items. Nice and warm. Would recommend to all travelers.

We have stayed here at least five times over the years. It is a good stopping point from our home to our destination in Oregon. It is clean, pet friendly and has a great breakfast. We will be staying again on our next trip. You won't be disappointed.

My wife and I were traveling to Big Sur, CA and needed a place to stay on the way back. Best Westerns are known for being, generally, pet-friendly; so, we booked a room at the last minute with the Miner's Inn in Yreka, CA. We were not disappointed; clean rooms, very well themed reception area, and an above average check in experience. Check out was perfect! Will definitely consider this hotel as a possibility on our next road trip to CA!

Very comfortable room, nice selection of toiletries provided, spacious bathroom facilities with sinks both outside the bathroom and inside. Really GREAT breakfast with lots of options. The only thing missing was a small freezer in the apt-size refer; we weren't able to refreeze our travel ice packs. Oh well.....The breakfast made up for it!

My husband and I had booked to stay at the Yreka Best Western - The Miners Inn. Not knowing where to eat we were guided by the front desk person to a fantastic Italian restaurant- Strings. Kyle also accommodated our request for a ground floor rom and gave us an upgrade at no cost. The room was wonderfully big and comfortable. While we were only in Yreka for one night, it was a most pleasant interlude on a great two week holiday in California.

I found this hotel clean ,friendly and enjoyable. easy off and on the freeway . near the freeway but still quiet . still using the old type heating and cooling but most are familliar with that ..the yards have some metal sculptures out front that my wife enjoyed. over all a good place for a week end or longer

The room was very spacious for a family. Had amenities and very good Wi-Fi. The breakfast offered a wide variety of choice including hot and cold items such as fresh waffles, fruit etc. Great place to stop on a road trip. Pool was also refreshing on a hot day!

This was a very nice place to stay. The service was fast and friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable and we appreciated having the complimentary breakfast. We would stay here again without hesitation. There seemed to be many restaurants nearby but it was a quick trip so we didn't try any of them.

It was obvious this Best Western was recently renovated. It's close to the interstate and provided a good night's sleep before hitting the road again. Breakfast was the basic spread you find at chain hotels.

The staff at this Best Western are above wonderful, they were kind and helpful I have not experienced such customer service at any other BW and I stay at a ton of them.. Great Job folks you are awesome

The check in process was quick and easy. We arrived after a long drive and had hit unexpected traffic multiple times making us arrive later than we wanted. We walked into the room and the decor was actually nice and updated. The issue that we had is that the toilet was dirty. Arriving at 11pm and having driven a long tine we needed to use the bathroom. I cleaned it as best I could and then let them know. If it would have been earlier I would have asked for a room change but... Breakfast was actually pretty good. They had eggs, sausage and two kinds of waffles along with biscuits and gravy and other typical items. When things ran out they quickly made more. The service was good on arrival and even the person at checkout was nice but the issue with the bathroom was not handled to my satisfaction but... I was just glad to get going as we were on our home.

This hotel is basic but it is very affordable and very clean! A perfect place to stop off on our way to Oregon. The only downside was we were not warned about construction that started directly above our room at like 7:30AM. There was definitely no sleeping last then for me! But other than that all was good, and I would stay again!

We stayed here one night on 07/11. The hotel is located right off I-5, easy access off, but unless you cut through the gas station across the street, you have to drive around the block to access the freeway. Hotel is a misnomer; it is actually laid out like a motel, with all doors facing the parking lot. The hotel is equipped with a pool, and offers breakfast in the morning in a room right off the front desk. It is rather small room, and was full, so we took our food back to our room. Room was clean and well appointed. There is ample parking available for cars, and a large gravel lot for semis. It is also within walking distance of a couple restaurants up W. Miner Street. All staff encountered was very friendly and helpful. Cost for one night in room 237 was $104.16 w/taxes. A HINT: if you will be traveling during the fire season, make reservations in advance. The night we stayed, it was home to quite a few of the fire personnel involved in fighting the Hornbrook fire.

Traveling north or south close to the Oregon border, this Best Western is a jewel. Very clean with a great staff and excellent food within walking distance of the property. You'll enjoy a good nights sleep!

We stayed in mid-July '18 and unfortunately that is fire season in NorCal. The Miner's Inn was packed but we had booked early (before the season started). The staff, although very busy taking care of out fire fighters and support personnel, did their usual great job of taking care of all of the visitors. Thank You Miner's Inn for your continued support of our firefighters and first responders.

Booked over the phone on the road. Front desk staff were cheerful, eager to help you, and actually had smiles. This makes a big difference to tired and grumpy travelers! They were happy to get extra towels for us and were helpful as to the local restaurants and businesses in the area. There are actually two complexes on the same property and one of the complexes was being updated/remodeled. Our room was on the property furthest from the office. The pool closest to us was being refurbished so it was not available, but the pool on the main property was nice. We got an excellent rate on a suite with two king bedrooms, kitchenette, and living room. Counters were granite, furniture updated, ac units in each room, very spacious and large. Great for our family of 5 so we could spread out after traveling in a confined car for hours! There are lots of restaurants and fast food in area. There is a large Walmart store a couple miles away so we bought food and prepared/ ate in the kitchenette. Free breakfast included biscuits, sausage, gravy, and waffles, as well as fruit, yogurt and pastries. The only complaint we had was that the adjoining complex we were at seemed a little removed from the original main complex and the closest ice machine was broken. We had a nice restful stay and will choose this Best Western on our next trip too!

Spouse & I are seniors who have stayed here in a 1st floor king non smoking creekside view several times on road trips; this experience put that to an end. No disability access rooms were available (we really need them now) so booked the usual room online. Got a 2nd floor instead. We struggled upstairs with usual luggage, CPAPs & their carrying cases, & a cane, only to find a metal, immovable gate blocking access to the corridor to our room at the far end of the building. No sign or mention from front desk to use the other stairs. Thumped back down & made it to our room. Microwave didn't work--ran a few seconds, knocked out power to table lamp. Tried it a few times, gave up, & ate our refrigerated dinner (meant to be heated) cold. Yuck. There are not enough outlets for CPAPs & electronics. Hand/body lotion is unavailable in room; guests request it at front desk. We weren't in ;any mood to hike back to the office. Breakfast room was full, no seating available. We ate in lobby--not optimal, but made it work. No offer of rate reduction for a non-functioning microwave, so we paid the same rate as anyone with a fully useable room. Good stuff: breakfast was fine & the location is easy I-5 access.

I was on the way to Big Sur and the Inn was half way from Seattle, and easy on off access from !5. Rooms were up to reasonable standards of cleanliness, the free breakfast was adequate and the outdoor pool was unheated--oooooh. The motel was close to the main street of Yreka, which seemed to be trying to get some mileage from the town's history. There were a few restaurants within easy walking distance in the main area, and some interesting shops if they were open.

We stayed there last week and were greeted very pleasantly and given a small gift because we are platinum members of Best Western points it is in the middle of a remodel but a lot of it is already done and was a very friendly and pleasant stay

conveniently located near the highway for easy off and on, although this does bring a little traffic noise when you are outside, but not noticeable in the room. Check-in staff very friendly and happy to give restaurant recommendations. Parking is free and easily accessed directly in front of your room. Room was large, we were creekside with a walk-out patio and an outdoor chair made reading next to the creek very enjoyable. Breakfast was adequate, similar to most "free" breakfast buffets. Easy walking to many restaurants. Check out was easy. Would recommend without hesitation. (They are undergoing a facelift to the buildings, but it didn't impact our stay at all)

We always book Best Western Miners in for family events when relatives come from out of area and as usual great attentive service! The staff were very friendly and curtious, suites clean and spacious. The only disappointment this time was the large pool was unavailable.

The desk clerks were so so, but the lady in the breakfast area was a 10. She gave flowers to ever mother who cam in because it was Mother's Day. That was a very nice touch. Hopefully the night desk clerk will check on the restaurant across the street. We were sent there only to learn it had changed hands and was having problems with the change over. Other than that this location was okay.

The fact that the room and bathroom were spacious and service excellent, made our trip better than expected. The inside of the hotel room looks nice and clean. And there is a small park in the back for kids to enjoy.

I stayed here a few years ago and had a good experience, so thought I would try it again. It is still an above average Best Western. The room I had was very clean and nicely appointed with updated carpet and furniture. This is an older hotel but they are currently updating the exterior of the hotel so it appears they are serious about keeping it in good shape. Staff was friendly and it is within walking distance of several restaurants.

Large rooms and bathrooms. Very quiet even though it's conveniently near the freeway. Breakfast buffet well stocked and super clean thanks to Ambi. She is always hustling around cleaning, stocking and greeting with a warm hello. Will stay again!

Large,comfortable rooms and beds(2-queens,not 2-doubles as other brands have),great breakfast,and very reasonably priced.We've stayed here on our travels up and down the I-5 for years,and the stay at your hotel is always consistant,reasonably priced and convenient(literally right off the freeway).

We have stayed here more than any other Hotel and we LOVE it! Its ALWAYS a nice stay, GREAT staff!, and good breakfast, but this time I have to give a little constructive criticism. Seeing that they are renovating I don't know how much they'll have left in the budget, but to me I would strongly suggest they put aside some money to upgrade the cable. Might I suggest Direct T.V.? I have it at home, so when I check in to a Hotel room and see direct t.v. I know we will be able to see the show or game we wanna see. Plus the familiarity is really nice on the road. And then the other thing we need to upgrade here is the T.V.s they are just too small! We were watching a basketball game and couldn't make out the score from the bed, I'm not saying they are bad, they might be new. But for the size of the rooms, they are just too small. And a nice big TV. goes a long way to making a room really nice. Ok that's it. I'm sorry, but when you love something, you want it to be as good as possible. Bigger T.V.s and direct t.v. would make the Miners Inn PERFECT!

Staff very friendly and helpful. Special request was honored. Room as satisfactory in all aspects. This is regular our stopover point when we go back and forth to Oregon. I have recommended this facility to friends and family in the past and expect to continue that habit.

Not to the standard of Best Western. Toilet streaked with stool in numerous places. Room looked half done/cleaned. Moved to another room. A/C did not cool room and mini refrigerator made grinding noise all night long. Fairly large place, but when we checked in at 530pm only one staff person on duty to manage entire hotel, front desk, etc. Staff nice. Otherwise, would not stay here again.

excellent hotel, we've bookmarked it and will return again on our annual drive. perfect location, and was amazing for our little dog who used the fenced-in dog area. we enjoyed an ample breakfast in the morning, a wide variety of options for everyone's taste.

This motel is quite large, older but well kept. The bathrooms in the rooms have been updated in the last few years. We have stayed here a few times when passing through. The rooms are quite large with fridge, micro etc.The breakfast area is a little cramped but the selection of food is great and always well looked after. I will stay again.

We stayed one night in a two bedroom suite. It also had a sleeper sofa. The place was huge! A whole sitting room, kitchenette with table and two large bedrooms. Just one bathroom but who's complaining. It felt like a small apartment and for the price, terrific! The beds were comfy. Pillows great. The closet door in one of the bedrooms was off its hinges and the window curtain torn but other than that we loved the spacious feel. Would definitely stay there again if in the area. Breakfast was wonderful.

Part Business and visiting old friends the hotel was located near the center of town, so was convenient to get around. We stayed in the building behind the main structure which was very quiet. We had no problems with our stay and would stay again.

We decided to stay here on a whim and they took dogs. (It's getting harder to find a nice place that takes animals.) They put us in a king room with a sliding glass door that opened up to a fenced in pet area. I was beyond thrilled with this. I have never seen this at any other hotel I've ever stayed at and as a matter of fact most hotels do not even have a pet area. The room itself was really pretty nice. It was clean, smelled fresh, and very comfortable. The bed had ample soft pillows and the sheets where really really nice. I wouldn't mind owning a set of the sheets, actually. While the bed itself is a little on the hard side for me , my husband liked it just fine. The shower was nice and tall which my husband really liked since he is 6'6". It wasn't the most powerful spray but it was a good shower. We did not stay for the breakfast but did go check it out. The room is pretty small and was packed when we got there. It looked like a nice basic breakfast and the eggs and bacon did smell good. All in all, it was a really nice comfortable place to stay and we will stay again as we travel from Southern California to the Seattle area several times a year. And to top it all off the gal that checked us in the the evening of the 7th of April was super nice and friendly and the gentleman on the morning of the 8th that checked us out was equally enthusiastic. It's so nice to have great customer service and people talk to you like you are a friend not just a nobody! Good job Best Western for hiring good people.

We have stayed here before and it's a nice quiet hotel. We did experience an issue with the room heater as it would not turn on or off with the thermostat. Also the water pressure in the bathroom was extremely low. We've never had problems here before and did note there is some renovation occurring here. Problems were reported to staff.

If Yreka is your destination or just a stop over, it is good because of the location, it is easy to find once you exit the highway, our room is big with two beds, breakfast is simple but good enough to start the morning.

This is a very comfortable and clean hotel. We travel with our dogs, and the pet rooms here are great, with sliding glass doors opening to a fenced lawn area. They even have dog bags and trash cans there to make cleanup easy. We will stay here again!

We were hopscotching our way south from Portland after picking up our new Golden Retriever puppy. We normally wouldn't stay in Yreka but our plans were to drive 4-hour intervals and that put us in Yreka. We chose the Best Western Miner's Inn and our we glad we did. We arrived early afternoon and the place looked empty. Nevertheless, we checked in. Our positive experience began with the young man that checked us in. He was very friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations. He also explained that the Inn was under new owner/management and that they were trying their very best to make guest comfortable and satisfied. We were able to park right outside our room and the dog area was on the opposite side of the parking lot. Very convenient. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of room for our dog carrier. The room was spacious and clean. It also contained a small refrigerator and microwave. The Inn looked and felt well cared for and we would stay here again without hesitation.

No way to control warmth in bathroon/sink area. It is on outside wll; it was freezing outside an so the area, separated from bedroom area, could not becontroled. Bad value for price other motels in area provide same services at lower rate.

I spent one night before to go fishing. Nice place where you can spend one night or more. Nice service and very clean. Plenty breakfast with everything. The hotel is very quiet. Parking in front of your room.

After 12 hours behind the wheel I was happy to find this clean, comfortable and affordable place to stay. I wasn't looking for anything more than a bed and it delivered. The room was actually quite large. I'd guess 400 sf. The furniture was a bit dated but everything was clean and comfy. It is well located right off the highway and adjacent to a heritage downtown area. The price was very reasonable

Got a room at far side of complex. Very quiet, which is essential for me. Older establishment but staff very friendly and breakfast was exceptional. They could use some better vacuums. Carpet was in bad need of cleaning. Rooms are very large.

This was an older motel and we were placed around the back . It is almost like two motels. We were told to leave the parking lot ( after driving past all the empty rooms) and drive put on the street, down a block and pull into another motel unit. It was very strange and we had our bikes on the back of our truck so we're not overly impressed with having nobody else back there but us , with poor outside lighting. As it happened another couple of cars did show up around 9:00 pm. When we hooked up to the wifi we saw " budget hotel" pop up as a wifi connection and wonder if that is what we were in. It was an older room but clean. Beds were just okay. Our card holder for the room key was hand made and when I asked if they had run out , the not very friendly front desk gal explained they make them to save money. The breakfast was included but they only offered expired yogurt, the usual cereals, some REALLY horrid looking scrambled eggs that nobody ate while we were there but the gal continued to add more on top of the old ones, sausages and waffles. Not much fruit was available. This hotel was no bargain and obviously the manager is very frugal . We understand trying to save money but offering expired yogurt is a little overboard. Will not stay there again.

This quiet clean large well run Best Western is a truly excellent value. Clean bathroom with low bath and sturdy safety rail. Breakfast is usual stuff cold items fine, but eggs and sausage below par, breakfast room a little tight. Could not hear the I 5

Booked through TripAdvisor. Reservation was ready when we got there and we didn't even have to ask about a first floor room as Tiffany seen we had children with us and put us on the quiet side and on the first floor. Will definitely stay here again.

I am a returning customer because of the cleanliness of the room, the comfort of the bed, excellent linens,triple sheeting, coffee in the room and breakfast in the morning,( though the breakfast room is pretty small). The staff is very courteous and helpful.

We have a habit of checking the beds whenever we stay at any hotel. In the first room the mattress pad had a large urine stain on it, we went to the office and we were given new room. It had a large dark stain on the mattress. My wife went to the office and explained that if they would give us a clean mattress pad she would change the dirty pad in the first room it being better than a filthy mattress. The girl behind desk called the maintenance man who said that there were no extra pads available. So we moved to a third room , this one was OK but dusty. We will never stay there again We can't believe AAA gave this hotel a good rating!

good location off I-5, easy walk to local fav diner, bar, mini mart, downtown. best section is sept bldg. in back, away from main entry, quiet, very large K rooms. ask when making rez for this first. frig w/o freezer, had to turn full up and lean icepaks on back wall to keep frozen. nice front desk staff, helpful with local menus

Quiet little town with good food and hotels not a over crowed place but not so small there is nothing to do. Traffic is mellow people are for the most part friendly. No traffic no crowds whats not to like? Only one thing was very limited cable - no MSNBC which equals "no truth on the cable/ just fox lies . Should have a channel for thinking people like MSNBC.

The rooms are big and clean. Breakfast was well stocked and maintained. Lots of rooms and parking. Easy access to and from the freeway. 3 minute drive to the high school. Cheveron gas station is accross the street. And a resturant sharing the parking lot.

This is a comfortable, well priced place with easy access to the historic downtown and a good stop when traveling to or from California and Oregon. There is a good breakfast and there is a nice green area for pets. Good Stay!

Convenient location, great staff, average facilities. The location was great, walking distance to restaurants. The facilities weren't the cleanest but weren't too too bad. TV remote didn't work worth *($& and not all channels advertised were available. This is a great location for a quick stopover and depart.

We enjoyed Thanksgiving with Best Friends in Oregon and needed a half way stop coming home. This is a Great Hotel in a very cute old town of Yreka, we even got to enjoy their Christmas Parade in Old Town. The facility appears to be in the process of freshening up and our room looked almost new. Very attentive Staff and the grounds are beautiful by the river. Breakfast was fine.

This facility is badly in need of updating. It should also invest in new towels - some were nice and others almost threadbare. They only give each room two sets of towels. No extras for Best Western members like we normally receive at other Best Western properties. Only one person working the front desk on check in and check out which resulted in waiting to be helped. Plus the check in person did not appear to be happy to be helping me.

This property should be a BW Plus. Friendly staff, clean rooms and a good warm breakfast. In the center of town and close to freeway access, but still very quiet. They are in the process of making some upgrades but it is still the best place to stay in Yreka.

Felt it was a very good value and a nice decent clean hotel. No complaints at all. Great value for a clean room with a full breakfast. Off the main highway enough to not hear traffic but yet very close and easy to find.

The desk clerk, Amber, was very friendly & helpful, asking me my email address so she could look up my account & credit me with my points. Greatly appreciated that! Nice clean, quiet 2nd story room. Good thing we were traveling light since they don't have elevators, something to keep in mind if you need that. Breakfast was good & yes, you can make fresh waffles!

The hotel room was very clean, comfortable and the furniture was in good shape. Very spacious king room. The warm breakfast was excellent, and personnel was very friendly and helpful. When calling to make the reservation, the receptionist was very helpful in finding us a discount on the room price. We appreciated that very much.

I stay here 5 or 6 times a year and have been satisified, but this last stay was disappointing. I actually had to do some cleaning - trash behind the nightstand when I moved it to plug the lamp in. I had to clean both the frig and the microwave before I used them. The mirror was spotted. I've never had that experience. Maybe a new inexperienced housecleaner? The desk staff are always nice and helpful. But after all these years I've stayed there I think I'll try somewhere else next time.

Although a slightly older facility, it is clean and well maintained; the staff is cheerful and helpful, although apparently unaware that the restaurant they recommended was closed the night I stayed. Decent value for the price. I plan to stay again when in the area, and will recommend to others.

We stayed as part of a firefighter strike team on the way to Napa and then on the way home from Santa Cruz. The room I stayed in which is in the furthest building from the office was decent, but the bed mattress was very worn and felt like I was getting in and out of a canoe. I would not recommend these rooms. However, on the way back I requested a room with a comfortable bed. They put us upstairs in the low 200s'. The room was great. Mattress new and very comfortable. Amenities very nice. A great value for the money. My recommendation is to stay in the rooms closest to the lobby.

This must be the sixth or seventh time I've stayed at this Best Western and it is consistently a pleasure. The price is very fair, the breakfast consistently warm and good, and the room consistently quiet and private.

We stopped in and asked for a room. Very nice and clean. Pleasant staff and very informative. The room was very nice and loved the fact that the bathroom is in a separate section of the room. Not right there. Was right next to a creek and beautiful setting. Loved it! Would return again.

Best Western Miner's Inn is a basic Best Western: spotless, a reasonably comfortable bed, free wifi, complimentary breakfast. It was a one night quick stop that met all our needs. Located near the highway; easy to find and easy to move on to our next destination. The wifi was a bit slow/frustrating at times, and weekend breakfast ends at 9AM (a bit too early and does not make sense if checkout is 11AM).

The rooms were large and clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There are great areas to take your dogs. Breakfast was good with lots of options. We will stay there again next time we are in Yreka.

Our stay was good, the bed was good and the room was clean. We were in a Creekside room which is near the freeway, did have some freeway noise but not enough to be a problem. Room was crowded with too much furniture.

I have been staying at this Best Western twice a year for several years. I have always found a clean and comfortable room. On my last visit a got a great nights sleep as usual. The staff have always been pleasant and helpful. Easy exit off of I-5 make is the perfect stop for a trip to Oregon.

We were traveling from Sacramento to Portland and picked this as our over night stop. We arrived around 10 pm and there was a rep at the desk that was friendly and helped us get checked in. She showed us where the room was on a map, gave us the wifi password and went over breakfast in the morning. We had a two queen bed room which was clean and more than ample space for the three of us. Beds were comfortable enough for a nights sleep and plenty of pillows and extra blankets were available in the room. They had a pretty good spread for breakfast, including waffle makers with toppings like blueberries and chocolate chips. There was someone in the room refilling breakfast items, including bacon and scrambled eggs. Overall a great place to stay right off I-5. Would definitely stay again when in the area.

From check-in, to the breakfast, to the cleanliness of the room, everything was what I was hoping for. I would stay here again! Its proximity to Old Town Yreka was perfect. We could walk to bars, shops, and restaurants.

This hotel was conveniently located right off Hwy 5, the room was clean, staff were friendly, even had hot popcorn. We had a small problem with our TV, and staff quickly and politely fixed it right away. Breakfast was extensive, and the breakfast room was huge (there is even an extra side room).

I held an event at the Convention Center and outside gazebo area this last weekend. We had to vacuum the carpet prior to decorating, had to mop the dance floor as it turned my toddler's feet black, and there was a mountain of trash bags next to the park area where the wedding was taking place. After the reception was over, the maintenance/janitor was supposed to turn off the air conditioner and lock up, but instead he helped himself to a few of my things that we were told we could retrieve in the morning. The employee admitted to me that he had stolen my things. At that point the police were called. He also admitted to the police that he stole my things. I declined to press charges as all my items were recovered from him in black trash backs that he attempted to conceal them in. The general manager was notified immediately of the situation by the night auditor. The manager did not contact me for over 36 hours. When she did contact me, there was no apology offered, and no attempt to correct or to rectify the situation. Her only concern was that I had "blasted" the establishment on social media, from a post I had placed on my personal FB page after I had been admitted to by the thief that he had stolen from me. Rudely and sarcastically the "general manager" assured me that the "employee" was "reprimanded and suspended for a week". Ummm he committed a crime against not only myself, but he also took plates, and a comforter that belonged to his "employer" that I could potentially be charged for, but I thankfully reported all the items to YPD and fortunately they were recovered. When the Best Western Corporate office was contacted I found that the Miners Inn Convention center is not affiliated with the Best Western Franchise as it is privately owned. When I then called the Miners Inn Best Western front desk to get the owner/company's contact information to speak to them directly regarding the incident,she stated she did not know, did not have the information and could not give me any contact information for the owning entity. She could only offer me the general manager's email.

This is a great value hotel. It is a superb location and the Best Western Miner's Inn, Yreka does a fantastic job with their breakfast and presentation. The hotel is undergoing some management changes, and hopefully the new management team will be just as competent as the former one.

Next to freeway, but very quit, and serve a good breakfast. Rooms are clean, and have everything you need, and close to everything. And the staff are always so friendly, and nice. Always stop here on our way south.

We have stayed at this Best Western in the past on our trips north through Oregon. It's very clean and quiet and is pet friendly. The staff is very nice and helpful. It's a great location off of I-5 and there are many restaurant choices within walking distance of the hotel. We will continue to use this hotel when traveling north.

Modern accessible room. in the city center and close to old downtown. Food and shopping close. Staff very friendly and helpful. Ample parking. Stayed two days for husband's class reunion. Would stay there again.

Nice hotel, centrally located right by the historic downtown area. Restaurants and unique sites very close. there is a nice green sitting area, Very clean. The staff was very nice and ready to help. Lots of parking is available suitable for an RV or trailer. I found it to be very comfortable and would stay there again.

After driving through Oregon in the smoke for most of the day we were hoping for clear sky's in California but it was not to be. However, upon checking in at the Miners Inn we were pleasantly surprised to find a nice clean room and no smoke or smoke smell. Don't know how it was done but we loved it.

Night customer service representative named Sara was very rude and didnt have any idea on how to deal with customer. When we made our reservation, we mentioned that it will be a late check in since we were driving back from seattle to cali. When we got to the hotel around 2am, we were told that we were charged for no show and were not able to check in. We tried to show her our confirmation for the reservation and she would not want to cooperate. We asked for a different room since we lost our reserved room and she refused to give us a room and told us to get the fk out of the hotel. She started using bad words to us and threaten us that she would call the cops if we dont leave the hotel right away and told us not to come back again. we were not the only person that she mis-behaved that night. It happeded to a different couple as well. While we were at the parking lot, trying to figure out where to go at the middle of the night, she called the cops on us. Since it was not our fault, I went and talked to the cops and let them know what happened. The cops went and tried to talk to her but she would not cooperate with the cops as well. We end up paying for another hotel around 4am in the morning. Went back to the hotel in the morning to talk to the supervisor, the supervisor gave us our money back since we were charged even though we didnt get to stay in our reserved room. However, her customer service didnt impress us as well. She was trying to protect her employee and took the whole incident as a joke.she kept laughing at us when I was trying to tell her the truth. I would not suggest anyone to stay in this hotel. This particular hotel is a bad example for Best Western brand and will drop their standard.

I love this hotel. The location is perfect for us, and the rooms are nice, always as expected. It is true this is a "road-trip" hotel, opposed to a "resort" hotel. But given that, it is my Favorite. The hotel is by Mount Shasta, and close to mountains and fishing. The rooms are always clean, and service is great.

I wanted to find a clean, safe place to spend the night between 7 hour driving days...it was clean, I felt safe and they were kind. Wifi was a bit spotty....wifi never stopped if I was using my phone/computer but the minute I wasn't using the phone/computer, wifi would disconnect and I would have to put the password in again. I would definitely stay there again for a quick overnighter.

Oh hell yeah, this is a great place to stay. I am happy and well pleased with all aspects of it. Quiet, clean and easy to find. Plenty of parking, great views and especially helpful and professional staff. This is a very fine place to stay when in Yreka. I recommend it - no issues and the best part is it is pet friendly!

Driving from the Bay Area north to Portland Area it was exactly half way at 5 hrs with 5 more to go and right off I-5. Flew through a fast, friendly check-in (as well as check-out) Room was very clean, quiet, and I appreciated that A/C was on when walking into room from a hot, smokey trip. (Lots of wildfires across state). I had a King Room on Creek side lower level. Room had a slider patio door to a lawn area with picnic tables and apparently was an area for pets. Fridge, coffee maker, and microwave in room. Breakfast was a step above a standard motel breakfast. Hot offerings included waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy as well as the usual pastries and Fruit juice. Coffee of course, that was above the usual cheap liquid concentrated stuff many try to get away with. Kudos on the Farmer Brothers Coffee in breakfast room, a solid brand. There are two family restaurants right there as well for dining. One on property, and another across the street from it. Would I stay here again or recommend? Yes

This Best Western is clean, well-maintained and comfortable -- as I have come to expect. We stay here each year when we pass through Yreka. Once again, we had an excellent king bed in a creekside room. The motel was full, yet our ground-floor room was quiet. Wifi was almost non-existent inside our room.

This Motel is located right off Highway 5 in Yreka CA. The large room with a queen bed, desk, table w/ 2 comfortable chairs, microwave and refrigerator was clean and comfortable.The breakfast was standard fare but is included in the reasonable price of the room.

This is the THIRD hotel in Yreka we've stayed at in the last 3 weeks. I've reviewed the others, and the BW is the best choice so far. The rooms are clean, the location about as good as it gets in Yreka, and I recommend this hotel for a mix of price, staff, and value. But it does have a few drawbacks. The internet is so bad that I cannot do anything online, right now I am in a room here using my cell phone for internet access. No HBO, I wanted to watch Game of Thrones but.... Can't connect to iTunes, can't do anything. This hotel has been packed every night we've been here, you'd think they could buy better routers and better internet.

Best room I have stayed in ar BEST WESTERN I will stay there the next time we spend the night in Yerka, Ca. I love that they have bathtubs, so many motels only have showers, and it was a Clean room. Thank you Best Western

Lack of respect given at check in. Breakfast bar missing half items or more as employee did not report for work so front desk person expected to cover both and had no idea what to do for breakfast bar. No food and empty coffee canasters as he was at front desk checking out guests. People in both areas unhappy. No apologies offered.....no one seemed to care about customer service for the two days we were guests.

Stayed on 8/18 and again on 8/22. The room was clean and the wifi worked very fast. the only thing that bothered me was only a single hand towel in the room. Both stays. Also the lamp by the bed was broken so hard to sit in bed and read. Forgot to tell them when I checked out. Breakfast adequate and typical for a Best Western. They need to keep up on repairs and provide a hand towel for each person-there were two of us.

Yreka is a small town, but if you visit this place, than this Best Western is probably your best choice. Very Clean, and very nice rooms. Breakfast could be a little better, but its free so I will not complain. I could really relax, it was all around a very pleasant stay. and relaxed stay

This is a newly renovated hotel - large room and comfortable. It is also a pet-friendly hotel that only charges $15 a night, which is very reasonable. We will definitely stay at this hotel again the next time we pass through.

The Suites are very spacious and have enough air conditioning units to keep everyone comfortable. The pool is nicely located as well. There was plenty of parking and access to the room was convenient. The ice making machine is kept in a clean areas as well.

This Place has gone down hill since the new owners have taken over. The event Center is filthy, no paper towels in restrooms to dry hands, staff sure could be trained better. It is very sad as this had previously been a real gem in Yreka.

We stayed here July 14. We made the reservation in April with the specifics for a room on the ground floor which was pet free and late check-in. We were told this would be no problem. We arrived about 7:00 pm. We were first given a room on the first floor that was pet friendly, then the desk clerks looked at our reservation. They said that they did not have any ground floor rooms that were pet free as they all were pet friendly. We have allergies and cannot stay in a pet friendly room. If we would have known this we would have stayed elsewhere. They changed our room to an upstairs room. There is no elevator. We are seniors and the stairs became an issue for us. Both of us tripped on the stairs during our stay. The room was at the top of the stairs which was ok. It was a large room and looked nice at first. However, the AC had not been turned on and the room was very hot, still over 90 degrees outside. It took almost all night to cool down. It was very apparent that the room had not been used in quite a while. We wanted to hang up some our clothes and could not because of the dust that was stuck on the hangers. We tried to use the microwave oven and it did not work properly. We tried to use the wi-fi and the instructions we were given to access the internet were wrong. We had to call the desk for new instructions. After finally connecting with the wi-fi we had a very hard time staying connected. We tried to place an 800 toll free call and the phone would not work. Talked again to the front desk and we were told sorry that the maintenance man didn't work on Saturdays and they could not do anything for us, this was Friday night not Saturday. The morning breakfast could have been better. There was no fruit at all. The breakfast room is totally inadequate for the number of guests. This property is adjacent to the highway but is very quite as there are many trees blocking out the sound. When we checked out, Stacie did not give us credit for our $10 Best Western travel card. We had to bring this to her attention with no apology from her. This hotel would only accept one of our travel cards and we have later found out from Best Western that they should take as many as we wanted them to. We would have to think twice about staying here again. There are other hotels in Yreka.

This motel is a great value, located next to a quaint later 1800s downtown about 20 miles south of the Oregon stateline in the Siskyous. Go into Ashland, Oregon and you'll pay a lot more for an equivalent Best Western room. The Etna Brewing Taphouse is a friendly pub that serves great food, and the Miner Street Meat Market is a great old-fashioned butcher shop with great products and a friendly staff. Both are walking distance from the Miner's Inn. I have stayed there three times and will again in the future.

Great hotel. Slept great there. Very comfortable. Great A/C, breakfast, beds and great room darkening shades to sleep in. Staff was very helpful and really friendly. I really did enjoy my stay there and will stay there again I visit Yreka again for business

Traveling from Berkeley to Portland, my young son and I stayed here overnight to break up the long drive. The hotel was exactly what I expected. It was very clean and comfortable with large rooms and ample bathroom and closet space. It was very affordable and even though it's located right off of I-5 it was really quiet and peaceful. After we ate dinner across the street at the Purple Plum (really tasty little restaurant), my son kicked around his soccer ball at the hotels grassy park area and played on their jungle gym. We enjoyed a really good nights sleep that evening. The next morning, I was pleasantly surprised with their free continental breakfast. It was one of the best included breakfasts we've had a hotel like this. My son is a bit of a picky eater, but he inhaled their scrambled eggs, bacon, and yogurt. Success! Alao, as a mom, I really appreciated that the room included a microwave and mini-fridge. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if given the opportunity. I highly recommend this nice hotel to anyone looking for an affordable and comfortable place to stay. Sweet dreams!

Best Western is our go too hotel chain when traveling The price for value is generally very good. The Miner's Inn is no exception. The hotel is an easy on off I5 for a nice road travel stop. It works well when traveling with our 2 dogs since they are pet friendly.

Even with some confusion about whether we were keeping the reservations, the motel staff kept us on the list for our late arrival and the stay was very comfortable. We stayed in the section near the meeting room which is extremely comfortable. I would recommend this motel even though it may be older than some in the city; we have been coming here for years. Great staff, clean, and conveniently located.

We stay at this hotel each year and rent a family suite. They are recently remodeled and very comfortable. The only caution is they no longer allow pets in the family suites but it isn't explicitly stated on their website.

We only spent one night here but were very pleased with the service, clean and quiet room. My only issue was with the room fridge that only went to "6" for cooling - not enough for the items we were traveling with, and drinks were just cool. No freezer compartment. Easy access and near good local restaurants.

The biggest thing I want to say is that the interior of the hotel room was beyond excellent! It was unusally spacious, airy, and had great beds and amenities. Granite countertops in the bathroom too! I was very impressed with the quality.

I gave my comments on the original evaluation. This is a well-run, efficient, clean, convenient, comfortable, well-managed, pleasant facility. I appreciated the helpfulness of the staff, the quality of the services, and the ambiance of the room. I know that the rating system is highly arbitrary, but given where this is located (Yreka isn't exactly a major location) I would give it five stars without hesitation overall. Any issue I had was an oversight and not a deficiency.

Great check-in, nice artwork in office and around property, spacious room, and pet friendly. It was disappointing that all of this was overshadowed by the awful internet access. This didn't seem consistent with the other positive qualities of the hotel. Apparently management has been aware of the problem but hasn't done anything to improve it.

Every year we go to San Francisco at least twice. Leave Kent, Washingtonand make it to Yreka and spend the night at Best Western. It's always a exceptional stay. Exceptional stay, breakfast, and accomadations.

We stopped in Yreka while heading up to Oregon. The hotel seems like newer or renovated. The decor and cleanliness was great. The reception emplyee happily gave us some recommendations for dining in the area. The rooms were spacious and the breakfast was great! They even had a hot chocolate machine. Would absolutely recommend and use this hotel again.

If you are traveling south on I-5, this is a great place to stop for families with kids. The hotel is family friendly and there is a nice restaurant just across the street. Yreka has a unique history so check out the local museum too.

I'm a Diamond member of BW and usually enjoy a great stay at this property, not so much this time around. Never had any pool towels available so we had to use room towels leaving no towels for showers. When we told the front desk about the absence of pool towels they showed up 10 minutes later with 5 hand towels for at least 10 guests using the pool. The mattress was horrible as well, no sleep in room 166 this go round. (I had stayed inn this same room last August and the mattress was horrible then, I complained then, no change with the mattress from then till now) Hopefully when we return in two weeks and stay in room 165 things might be better. stay tuned for details.

If you travel with a dog this is a good place. Ask for a Creekside room. The room was clean and everything worked. WIFI was adequate at about 3Mbps. I have no real complaints except that I woke up with a back ache but that happens a lot to me. My wife had no isuses with the bed.

The hotel was very old but kept up to date, with clean room, excellent lobby staff and large breakfast eating area. We enjoyed our stay and learned a little about the history of this small little town. I really enjoyed the fresh popped popcorn at the check in lobby area. Will come here again to learn more about Yreka

Wonderful location, close to restaurants and gas stations. Lovely area for walking and exploring. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The bed was the very best I've ever slept in. The area the hotel is located in is very quiet, so it is easy to get a restfull sleep and quiet time.

Everything was clean, the room was large, and the staff were very friendly and efficient. The hotel is located near downtown, so there are many restaurants within walking distance. Also, the breakfast had many options and was well-stocked.

My five grandchildren and I stayed one night on a drive from PDX to SFX. Yreka was the half was point. It was very hot in Yreka so it was nice to find the lobby and rooms cool. The motel is older but we'll cared for. The rooms are updated, clean and comfortable. My grandchildren enjoyed the pool.

This is a good place to stop halfway between Portland OR and San Francisco CA. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was hot and ample. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Very easy to access from I-5. There is an indoor pool.

Hotel is well maintained. Room are pretty clean, the bathroom smelled of mildew, but appeared clean. The bed was comfy, with nice bedding. The pillows however were huge and hard. Had to go buy a pillow that I could actually sleep on. We had a creek side room and there was some road noise at night. Location felt safe and was pretty quiet.

Convenient location. Good value. I was visiting Shasta and southern Oregon and it worked out really well, since I was able to spend a day in Crater Lake and Ashland, and the rest of the time in the Shasta Area. Lots to see and do near here, but a car is essential.

The hotel is convenient to the freeway. The rooms are fairly large and nice, better than many, but certainly not luxurious. The breakfast was OK, nothing special, although it did include bacon and eggs. However, the service to keep the room clean and well-supplied with coffee and breakfast items was lacking. Would stay again, but might get breakfast elsewhere.

I would highly recommend this motel to stay in. Clean rooms, professional staff, and great breakfast. Water pressure a bit low but that is the area not the fault of the hotel. Also location is great! Right in the center of food central off the highway. I counted at least 5 eateries within easy walking distance.

My wife and I and our dog stopped at this Best Western in Yreka to break up the drive between Portland and Reno. From the outside, the hotel looks like it has had better days but the room appeared to be recently remodeled. The furniture and appliances looked new, and aside from one strand of a spider web hanging from the ceiling, the room was clean and did not have a pet smell. We were on the first floor and had very little noise above us or in the rooms next door. A good pet relief area next to the parking lot and the wifi worked well for us. The desk clerks were very friendly as well. Pretty good free breakfast with waffles, muffins, yogurt, cereals, etc. Also close to a few family restaurants and only about a two block walk to the historic downtown. We bought takeout from Esperanza's (formerly Lalo's) for dinner and it was excellent (see separate review). Not the fanciest hotel but was a good value and I would stay here again.

The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. The only problem was the breakfast room. It was poorly arranged and it was difficult to get to the food because it was VERY crowded into one corner. I was assured there are plans to change the configuration.

A/c was set at 62, was still warm in room, refrigerator didn't work at all, had to walk across the other side of the motel to get ice and put in sink to keep waters cold, bed was ok, tv channels would not go higher than 40, there were 70 channels, I'll try somewhere else

Not only the best hotel we stayed at, it was the best, Best Western we ever stayed at! The rooms were huge! We were in a 2 queen bed room, there was 4 of us. It was so clean! The beds were very comfortable as well!

Stopped at Miner's Inn on our way through the area. I was apprehensive as my last BW experience was somewhat distasterous. This hotel restored my faith in Best Western. I was greeted at the desk by cheerful Amber. She quickly set me up for a room for the night. The room was easy to get to, very spacious (easily three times the size of the last BW room I stayed in), inviting, and comfortable. After settling in, Amber called to be sure everything was satisfactory. After a relaxing evening and a good night's sleep on a comfortable bed, I enjoyed an excellent breakfast. There was a good selection of fresh food and the waffles I have come to expect and enjoy. Amber was once again at the desk when I checked out. She had my paperwork ready, genuinely inquired how I liked the stay, thanked me for stopping, and invited me back. Rest assured I will be stopping at the Miner's Inn next time I pass through.

The best place to stay in Yreka for downtown walking and convenient for business needs ....rooms are fresh and clean. The beds are white sheeted and comfortable. There are some convenient restaurants nearby. Easy on and off freeway access.

A nice hotel. Good customer service. Location was in a safe area of the city. Some restaurants and small shops are walking distance. They close early. Bed was a little too soft for our backs. Breakfast was standard-cereal, eggs, waffles and bagels. A good place to stay.

I started my travel from the sf Bay Area up to Salem and was looking for a half way point to stay over night I picked this hotel and was a good overnight stay. I booked a two queen bed room with creek view. I was surprised on the size of the room we received. It was very spacious. We were on the first floor and the room had a patio door that accessed the back of the property to view the creek with picnic tables in the grass. Bed were comfortable, had flat screen tv and a small fridge. Air conditioner worked great. Bathroom was nice although water pressure in the shower was lacking but got the job done. Overall I would stay at this hotel again if I was in the area priced a 134 a night I felt you got value for the price range. And was just off the I5 highway and easy to find. Breakfast was included as well

Stayed in a King room on the 2nd floor. Room very nice, very clean and well maintained. Very quiet despite being closer to the main st. Complimentary hot breakfast every morning, always with fresh cooked either scrambled eggs or a cheese veggie omelette. Stayed for the week. Pool area is OK. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Reasonably priced for the stay. Would stay again when in the area.

Great deal! The room was clean and newer. The staff was friendly. I was very happy with the quality for the price I paid. Breakfast was great, I do wish there had been some fresh fruit choices, but other than that it was very good. I would recommend staying here if you are traveling and looking for a good deal. Easy to get to off of I-5.

On trips to California we normally stay in Mt. Shasta City. We petered out by Yreka and stopped at Miner's Inn. We were traveling with out daughter and her two kids so we got a two-bedroom suite. Each bedroom is about 10 feet by 20 feet with a huge king-size bed (so-called "California king" I think). There is a desk in each bedroom and a flat screen TV. The front room has two easy chairs and a sofa plus another flat screen TV. Good place for reading with acceptable lighting. There is also a round dining table for four plus a mini-kitchen with two burners, a microwave, plates and glasses and silver plus standard cooking utensils. You can make a real breakfast and lunch here, and perhaps a passable dinner, but with so many nearby restaurants, I am sure dinner will be out. The suite is about 800 square feet, or a city-size two bedroom apartment. There are two pools (the site is complex with the suite area a short walk from the main hotel area via a walkway. There is a shaded picnic area plus a small playground with a slide and swings and tables -- very pleasant. The breakfast is standard highway motel type but OK (they have waffles). The two kids were not underfoot and had plenty of room to explore. This is not a deluxe hotel, and the four stars indicate value for the money. It is in downtown Yreka which is interesting to walk through with the aforementioned restaurants plus a chocolate emporium. The furniture is comfortable and the beds are likewise restful. This is a great place to loiter and spend the night away from I-5.

The Best Western had it all. Love the town, and love the layout, even if our room was a bit far from the lobby. The outdoor setting more than made up for it. They did mess up our reservation, but we got a free upgrade to a suite because of it.

We stopped here overnight after a long hot day of driving and found it very clean and comfortable, with a very good breakfast the next morning and a very friendly staff. We take this drive down I-5 regularly and always enjoy our stop here.

There was apparently a water leak down to the unit below. No water overflow in our room, but the desk called us at 11 pm to discuss it, then sent over maintenance in the middle of the night. Not ok with a sleeping 3 year old. Water pressure in the shower low. Air conditioner so loud that it was impossible to sleep. The grout around the bathroom area needs to be re-done. It makes for a very dirty/moldy appearance. It is amazing to me how these simple problems tend to get bypassed in some motels. Not very expensive problems to solve. You would think that for $120 / night, the room would be up to speed. The Motel 6 down the road was quoting $47 / night. If the room is cheap anyway, you do the math...

My wife & I were participants in a Cowboy re-enactment held in Yreka this Saturday June 17th. We had booked a room at the Best Western which is conveniently really close to where we put on our show. At the time we booked our room we had asked for a downstairs room & the office confirmed this request. We wanted a downstairs room for two reasons, one health related & two we have a lot of clothes & props to haul for our re-enactment. Upon arrival the young lady in the reception had us down for an upstairs room. After we explained that we did ask for a downstairs room & the reasons for that request she immediately searched for a comparable downstairs room & kindly found us a first class room. We would like to add she was most helpful & courteous. The room turned out to be very much to our liking. It had two queen size beds that meant that the room was quite large. There were two sink & counters, one in the shower/bath area & one adjacent just outside the bathroom. This feature is extremely useful when two people are trying to get ready at the same time. What was also nice was that the bathroom fixtures as well as the sinks appeared to be brand new. In the main area of our room there was a desk with a comfortable desk chair, a round table with two comfortable armchairs, a set of drawers that also contained a cupboard with a microwave oven & a refrigerator in it. This particular unit also had a sliding glass door at the rear of the room leading to a grass patio with a picnic table. There were additional blankets in one of the drawers, but the beds were adequate respecting sheets, blankets & pillows, & although firm, the beds were most comfortable. The furnishings I have to say were good quality nothing cheap about finish or construction. If I had to make a complaint I would have to say that the clothes closet was a little small but in all honesty we bring a lot of clothes including a lady's Victorian gown. Probably for most travelers the space is adequate. Then when you add there is a hot breakfast on the house this is a very good choice of a hotel to stay at. And if you are so inclined there is also a swimming pool available next to the lobby. I do not think you can go wrong with this Best Western.

Everything has been upgraded and was wonderful. Decor was fantastic. I love the creek side rooms and so does our small dog. The staff was super. We had a great stopover on our trip. If we had been staying longer we would have been extremely comfortable as the room has everything you need. We had picked up takeout from Strings, and loved having the table and chairs to eat at.

This is a great little spot, especially for an overnight spot on a road trip. However, if the weather is hot, do not choose an upstairs room as the air conditioners are old and noisy, and have a difficult time cooling the room.

This is a very clean and nice Hotel. The desk clerks were helpful and nice. They were happy to show us the room before checking in. The breakfast had plenty of options, and the coffee was good. We were just passing through on our journey and were happy to get a good nights sleep. This motel has a pool, it looked clean we did not use it. Our room was a double queen, it was very large and very clean and quiet.

On a short trip up to Oregon, we opted to hold back with huge storms "blessing" Southern Oregon and make our evening stop in Yreka. A call to the Miner's Inn and we had our room, and what a room (148). The hundred dollar tab was well worth it as it was one of the best motel rooms we've stayed at in years of traveling the USA and beyond. And after dinner, a driving tour of the old town was a great way to end the evening.

Spent just one night in Yreka and had a great time. Everybody was very friendly. The local brew pub had good beer and food. Lots of 2nd had stores to shop for neat old stuff. Best Western was very friendly and service was top notch.

We had a great experience at this hotel. It is an older property but newly renovated. Staff was friendly and was helpful in finding a nearby restaurant for dinner. The breakfast was great, tasty, lots of variety and really good. Location was near the highway which was good. Would definitely stay there again!

our room was ground floor, back doors open to creek out back, nice picnic area for kids and pets. Room was clean, modern and all we needed for the one night sleepover. Breakfast was awesome....hot/cold cereal, 2-types of waffle, eggs, sausage and biscuits and yummy gravy. We'll 100% stay here again.

staff was pleasant and professional. Offered me a micro fiber cloth for cleaning the bike on arrival. Set up a second stay for a later date. everything was done quickly with no hassle.The room was clean and in excellent condition. Short walk to local brewpub which was very good.

Conveniently located off the highway and within walking distance to Old Town Yreka and restaurants and bars. Quiet and clean. Large parking lot. Rooms recently updated with very comfortable beds. Will stay again.

This isn't a place I would go to for leisure but it's great as a stop when traveling in the area. The rates are kinda low and you get your money's worth. The room and property aren't too bad and the internet connection and breakfast are solid. Steven and Kyle on the staff were very helpful and informative. I would recommend it but if you're looking for something for luxurious I would try something else.

My husband and I were very pleased with the staff and how they went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The room was very clean. Great free hot breakfast. They are also pet friendly.

Whenever I head down to California, I always stay at the Best Western Miner's Inn for my first night on the road. Great spot to stay when traveling with my dog. Great breakfast selection and WiFi service.

This motel is huge. The room was a good size, older but updated and very clean. Fridge, micro, coffee maker, table, desk and 3 chairs. Very quiet, nice bed Breakfast had a good selection in a small area that was well looked after. 17 tables. Scr. eggs, waffles, bacon, etc.

Please include MSNBC in the stations you offer in your rooms. The Holiday Inn Express has the same TV service and has it. I do not want to deal with the BS that's spread from Fox News. Breakfast needs more fruit.

I pulled up to this Best Western and realized it was different than others, being two floors and an older design (which was appealing). It was clear remodel work was being done. The gal checking me in was pleasant. She was helpful in giving me information also on places to grab a bite to eat. She further contacted me once I was settled in my room, ensuring all was in order. Although a bit dated everything was clean and in working order. I did find the water temp not quite as hot as I would have liked it in the morning. For the price point this is a good place to stop.

This is an exceptional hotel especially for the area, but like all hotels, the food they serve is cheap, bought from major corporations. Avoid eating it if you know what's good for you. You are what you eat, and disease is often connected to your diet.

Check in and reception were good. Room very clean and comfy. Breakfast good. A lot of variety and fresh fruit. Would stay there again and recommend. We found this place in a hurry and were treated very nice. Interesting decor.

The creekside rooms have such a wonderful back yard feel to the rear of the rooms. Perfect for our small dog. Easy access from car to room. The internet is sub-par but otherwise a great place to spend the night.

This location has some of the biggest rooms that I have seen and the staff is very friendly. We especially liked how well we were treated while getting breakfast for the family. Staff was very helpful in assisting with dietary restrictions.

This is a good value large best western Our room was newly updated fresh and comfortable It was very quiet as we were far from the freeway. Breakfast was fine and served in a comfortable area. A great road trip option

A very nice Best Western. The room was probably the best we've stayed in. Large, extremely clean and very comfortable. That doesn't always happen when you need pet friendly. Fun town to walk around in!

Business trip to Yreka. Price was right. Breakfast was very very good. If you are staying in Yreka, this is the place to stay. Restaurant nearby. Miners street with lots of shopping across the street.

I stayed at this hotel with my 2 children. The room was quiet and clean. I was very pleased with the room and the person who checked me in. They were very helpful in explaining the rewards program to me. I will definitely stay here again.

Being that were diamond members lady upgraded too a creekside room which has a enclosed fence were your pet can run off leash only thing is theres a few holes were a small pet could get out so hopefully they can fix that breakfast was great and room was big and clean and staff very friendly we will come back ty best western

Our stay was quite nice. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the breakfast was good, especially the coffee I would recommend this hotel to someone and would stay there again. The breakfast sandwiches were good and we like that you accept dogs.

The room smelled like smoke, even though it was supposed to be a smokeless room. It also seemed as if they had put whatever furniture was left over into the room. It was a large room - almost too large - and it was clear it was used as a pet room as my dog found a lot of intriguing smells I don't mind paying extra for a pet, provided I get the cleaning I'm supposed to be paying for. The thing that was the worst part of it all was the hotel was so so spread out live it took me almost 10 minutes to find the room. It was not fun driving all over this massive property n the dead of night trying to see these little unlit signs which gave the buildings room numbers. Plus to compound the problem, they weren't logically sequential. Even the next morning in the daylight I had a hard time finding the office. Not the typical BW I am used to and was oooking forward to. Fix the signage. Clean the room properly. Don't furnish it with leftovers.

Very nice place to stay as I middle point from Washington to California. Staff was helpful and welcoming. Nice location and I stayed here before and will come back to stay when I travel this way again..

We had to take our fur baby with us on this trip for the first time. I was leary about staying in a pet friend room, but was very pleased with the cleanliness of the room. The bed was super comfy. Restaurants within walking distance. The hotel is doing some remodeling & had some materials stacked around outside, things like that don't bother us, but some are very picking about those things. We would stay here again.

Really enjoy stopping at this Best Western. It is the perfect half way point on my travels north from San Diego, CA to Silverdale, WA. Easy access off and back on the freeway, has great staff, and very nice breakfast to start you on your way. Plan to stay again over the summer.

Our best stay at this BW. This time around, a very accommodating desk staff, very attentive and cordial. We made our reservation while traveling and were told there were no more downstairs rooms. (with the nephropathy in my feet, stairs are not my friends any more). The staff member asked if we would be OK in an accessible room? If we could get this room, we would be overjoyed, I told him. (otherwise we were going to push on through to the BW in Medford) Our pets were welcome, a big plus for us. With the new BW coming in, the rooms are no longer run down and well used. The mattress is comfortable and not broken. Very clean, even received a courtesy call from the front desk asking if the room was acceptable and if we were having any problems that she could help us with. Big difference from our last time through Yreka BW! What to eat for dinner, well, we called Jefferson's road house that is listed in the welcome binder in our room. I placed a to-go, pick up order for 2 prime rib dinners with all the fixings and calamari. I asked about their shuttle service, (because we are towing a trailer and parking issue) and Heidi asked me to hold on for a minute, she came right back and said, "would you mind if my shuttle driver brought you the dinner"? I replied, "that would be wonderful", she said, "about 25 minutes", I said, "that is great". While I sat in the front lobby, your front desk hostess said she had never heard that Jefferson's delivers, and I explained why they are bringing the dinner to us. (Learned that her husband is one of the chefs there!) Wow, the dinner was hot and delicious. Really added to our experience, usually when we stay here we get KFC and that is our dinner, this time, Easter Sunday to boot, we had Prime Rib delivered to our hotel. All we needed to do is go the front desk to meet the driver, who just happened to be Heidi's husband, Jefferson's owner. WOW, great experience all the way around! I am anxious to see how much more BW is going to add to their rooms. Other BW's, like Roseburg, have put hand soap and shampoo dispensers on the wall and in the shower eliminating the bar soap waste. We've been meaning to stay here for some time, since we travel through here 2-3 times a year. This time, we actually stopped. Really sorry we waited so long. Everything was clean, and in good shape. Staff was friendly and more than happy to assist if needed. Like nearly every hotel we go to, the electrical outlets are in need of replacing. They are getting weak, and barely hold a plug in. Other than the outlet issue I highly recommend this hotel

This Best Western - has taken the leap to the next level. I've stayed here before, but this time - WOW! Outstanding, attentative and Personable desk staff, THe new rooms are GORGEOUS, and the NEW BREAKFASTS - I couldn't believe this was a BW - I felt like a place 5x more expensive. They NAILED IT!

I have stayed here several times on my north to WA. The staff is always friendly and very helpful. The rooms are very clean and the beds comfy. There are good eats close by. Would recommend this hotel.

My partner and I stayed here recently, while towing a competition car. We found the the staff pleasant with a genuine friendliness, the room comfy, the price reasonable. We will definitely be back next time my racing travels take me this way.

Have stayed at Miner's Inn in Yreka many times on my trips to Calif and back. Wonderful facility and friendly staff. Continental breakfast is convenient and there are numerous eating places nearby. There is even a Walmart at the end of town if you need anything you forgot.

Excellent bedding (no reused bedspreads) comfortable bed, clean room, good breakfast. I have stayed here twice and will again. Linens and comfortable bed are so worth it to me to pay a little more for than the lowest rate motel.

There were ants in the first room the front desk assigned us to. When we were moved, it turned out to be an ADA accessible room with a walk in shower instead of a shower/bathtub combo. The room itself was a lot smaller than our first ant-infested room. Highly disappointed. Will not stay here again.

Good bed and quiete, a big point with me. Easy on and off freeway. Restaurants close. Town will have lots of Tourists in the summer and in winter for skiing. Breakfast more than just OK; more than just standard stuff; scrambled eggs, sausage, waffle machine, breads, coffee, juices and more.

Good access off the freeway, good value, and comfortable room. Dining options very close by. The Purple Plum across the street had very good fish and chips and burgers. We would stay here again. Breakfast was fresh and tasty. We would recommend this hotel.

The Best Western in Yreka Ca was very busy there was a cafe near ajacent to grounds open late for food. Room was nice grounds were open but green, the night I stayed the hotel was very very busy it is a large hotel & full, however the hotel was quiet & sleep good. Breakfast room was very small & crowded. Staff was very professional & nice.

Our room was OK, but it was really cold. It also smelled like bug spray. In the morning we found a huge spider under my daughter's pillow. I'm assuming that is the reason for the smell. I wish they hadn't put us in that room if they knew there had been a bug problem..

The Best Western Hotel in Yreka was a very pleasant experience. From the reception at the front desk to a comfortable room to a nice hot breakfast. The room was spacious and the beds extremely comfortable. I like the fact that the bathroom is separate from vanity area. The best part was that I could open the sliding door and take our pets out to the grassy backyard to do their business (with pooper scooper bags available) while listening to the soothing sounds of the babbling brook just beyond the fence. Breakfast was wonderful with an assortment of good eats both hot and cold.

We've been staying here for 16.5 years. My husbands 60 year old mother is suffering from Early Onset Alzheimers so we visit Yreka frequently. We are Best Western Diamond members and we are Hilton Diamond members. Let me tell you that being a Best Western Diamond member doesn't mean a whole lot to the staff at this location. Stick to another hotel chain. This past summer we had issues with our room and the air conditioner not working properly. It was turning off and on all night long. This was the second time we'd experienced issues with one of their units. It kept us and our 4 month old baby awake all night long. By the morning I had a pounding headache from the worst night sleep I've ever had. We brought it to their attention and were told it would be fixed. By the next evening they still hadn't remedied it so we switched to a suite as that was what was available. We were charged for and paid the difference in price. The real problem is that manager Sandra accused us of "complaining in order to recieve a discount" and told that we always try to get discounts when we stay there. She said her employee told her so but can not provide us with any proof whatsoever. ????? Is she speaking of our military discount? If you don't want customers to use military discounts, then don't offer one. We asked Sandra to pull up her notes in the computer and tell us what she was speaking of. She refused. Her claims are false and unsubstantiated. 16.5 years of loyalty to your business and this is how you treat us because we dared complain about a horrible night sleep caused by a broken AC unit? Because of the central location we decided to give them another try. So this past weekend we got into town after an 8 hour drive with 4 kids including a fussy baby only to find that our reservation had been cancelled by the manager Sandra and we were turned away and told we were no longer welcome to stay there. The manager bans diamond members over complaining about a broken AC unit and using military discounts??? She doesn't feel the need to pick up a phone and let us know before we arrive with 4 tired and hungry children? The poor young lady behind the desk was visibly upset that she was put into this position and the manager refused to take a call from us. (By the way, what kind of manager makes her employees do her dirty work and refuses to speak to customers who ask for her? What is the point of even having a manager who won't handle the hard stuff and doesn't work toward solutions?) We are very confused and very upset over this. Horrible horrible horrible customer service. You lost lifelong customers. Also, since we are just complainers anyway: There is a huge discrepancy in the quality and cleanliness of rooms. Some rooms are lovely and clean. Other rooms seem rundown and don't receive enough attention from the housekeeping staff. Pillows are awful. They are hard and almost round. Usually, we just bring our own and don't make a big deal of it. Housekeeping is not thorough. I have washed other peoples pubic hair down the shower drain on more than one occasion, and bring my own lysol wipes to give the bathroom a once-over.
