Nice place to stay as a business man. You can reduce your work pressure when you see the lake and Shwe Dagon pagoda. Then comfortable and perfect meeting room with great tea break. Breakfast is great to fill your stomach, when you wake up on hungry. We hope that we will be again and again.

First things first, if staying here, agree a rate for the taxi whilst still at the airport. It should only cost $9 and if you get that price, breathe a sigh of relief. The journey will take you 45 minutes no matter what time of the day or day of the week. And it's not that far! The Hotel itself is good but not great. Nicely placed in mid-town, a short walk from the floating palace which makes a nice haven when you need an antidote to the Yangon traffic. The staff are very, very helpful & friendly, especially the concierges but you will probably need to eat outside the hotel as the restaurants here are a bit limited, which means once again traffic jams - so build in lots of time & agree the rate before you jump into the cab. Having said that, room service is surprisingly good, so that makes sense, if you can't bear any more traffic hassle.. Wi-fi is very good as well as is the gym but unfortunately there is no pool. The main problem here though is the Hotel holds lots of conferences and both restaurants are often saturated with delegates which can be a real pain especially @ lunchtime. The restaurant on the top floor is the better one of the two and has a nice balcony with good views. Beware of the crows though, as there is a reason why they are as large as they are and that is that they like to steal your breakfast when you are not looking!

Stayed here for our last night before going to the airport. Nice clean hotel. Friendly staff Were given a room upgrade without asking. Finally a comfortable bed! Nice view from the roof top bar/breakfast area.

The hotel is located far from the airport and if you got traffic is more complicated - the room got good size but not really clean - carpet, not Vaccum - bed not tidy - smelling in the room- The bathroom is not very clean - glass dirty - mirror not fit - bathtub hair inside. The restaurant on the 8 floors is a nice view but the service can be better - The menu is not really attractive but ok - breakfast poor for an international company and the dishes are cold. The management needs to be more focus on the guest than their paperwork and phone. At the checkout, they charge me minibar and i haven't consumed anything there.I think they need to control better. I get out of this hotel not happy ! No appolgies from the reception or duty - poor quality of service for an hotel 4 stars!

We was there for a business meeting. The hotel was good, the staff was really kind. Breakfast was little cold, but not such a big problem. As said we was there for a 2 days business meeting using their meeting room: we chose there after we had great suggestions and consultation from outsource. We were well greated by Mr.Matteo, the hotel's guests relation manager. He done a great job with us and all went very good as he can speak our language as well. CY ( 19.11.19 ) My wife and I stayed 2 day in this hotel. The hotel was apart from main street, so it was hard to walk to any place. But the hotel was excellent to us with good view ( Shwedagon Pagoda). The staff was very kind, and the room was comfortable and wide. In 2 days, we were satisfied. The roof top for breakfast was very good with good view. All was good to us.

We stayed in this hotel during our trip with Manos Sin Fronteras in Myanmar. It is a beautiful hotel with modern and spacious rooms. The restaurant is in the 8th floor and it has an amazing view of the city and the Pagoda. The best part is definitely the hotel staff. They are very helpful,friendly and very service-oriented. Thanks to all the team! We really enjoyed staying there and I highly recommend it.

We stayed at the best western at the start of our trip to Myanmar for 2 nights, then we left to Mandalay and Bagan and returned to stay there for 1 more night before flying back. We were a group of 50 people and the organisation of the Hotel was great. I had my doubts when I arrived, cause I thought for sure something will go wrong, but everything went so smooth. The staff were really helpful in every possible way and even the hotel director did not shy away from helping out at the dinner by pouring water for the guests. I am from Vienna in Austria and we could need people like that in our service industry. If I come back to stay in Myanmar I'll definitely use the Best western again.

Seemed to take a long time to get anywhere, that may just be because the traffic is crazy. Rooms a good size but very dated. It's very clean. I got really sick after eating at the ground floor restaurant it could be that I was just not used to food . The worst thing was being accused of taking a beer from the mini bar when I checked out. I bought 3 beers from local supermarket for $3 and drank them in my room . When I checked out they accused me of drinking their beer and made me pay $3. I felt really uncomfortable as they did it in front of my guide. I feel really upset especially as I looked after all the staff.

Located just around the back of another larger hotel and close by the Kandawgyi Lake (upon which the Karaweik Palace Restaurant ‘floats'), this rather under-stated hotel proved very comfortable and accommodating. Entry is from the large forecourt into a crisp aircon lobby with an excellent restaurant to one side. Our room on the sixth floor included as huge comfy bed, plenty of space and splendid bathroom, and, best of all a good view of the famous Shwedagon stupa. The restaurant (with a rather sad foreground view of an abandoned development) provided the largest spread of western and Myanmar cuisine one could hope for. Would definitely stay again.

My wife and I stayed in this hotel Best Western Green Hill Yangon, Myanmar for a week in March 2019. We had an excellent stay. The staff were very helpful and generous, the food was excellent and the business side of our trip was very well arranged. The room we stayed in was top quality, very clean and comfortable. All in all, a magnificent place to stay, we have no hesitation in recommending it most highly. My wife Rosita received a charming present when she asked about the local face cream, and this cream helped her allergy and skin condition. Thank you again to all the hotel staff, for all your kindness. We will definitely stay here next time we visit Yangon.

Stayed for 2 nights as part of a private guided tour of Yangon. Hotel is a little out of town in an older area. Friendly staff, clean room....had a view of the Golden Pagoda from our room.....but the rest of the view was a little scruffy, building work, scaffolding. Restaurant was ok for an evening meal with local, Chinese and western food. Breakfast was pretty average, this hotel caters more for large Asian groups some of who have little manners.

So nice location, clean & tidy rooms, food is very delicious and full of variety, staff are so professional & welcoming will do anything to make u satisfied n happy... Best breakfast on ouer tour in myanmar. Near a nice park an not far away from the city. Nice view to the shwedagon pagode from the rooftop restaurant. Very friendly and helpfull staff. Big and very clean rooms.

The service from all staff was excellent. The view from the roof terrace was amazimg. The room was well equipped and immaculately clean. The breakfast was excellent with a good selection of hot and cold food.

Excellent place for quick visit to Yangon. Pristinely clean, good air con, friendly staff, wide menu. Super views from 8thfloor balcony/bar. Only drawback was lack of pool but spa and fitness centre compensate.

My wife and I stayed at the Best Western Green Hill for 2 nights from February 13. Our only regret was that our stay was short. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly and made to feel very welcomed. Evrryone was awesome. The front office manager, Mr. Thet Naing Oo upgraded our room to one that was extra large wirh a great view. He also personally brought a plate of fruit because we had to wait a few minutes for the room. The rest of the front office staff we encountered were just as fantastic, especially Yin Yin, Thiri May and Min Baw Htet. Our ròom was exceedingly comfortable with all the amenities we had come to appreciate while travelling in South East Asia. The hotel was nicely decorated for valentine's day, including a wide variety of two of the main food groups at breakfast: cookies and cupcakes. Lol. The breakfast menu is sufficient for all tastes and the chicken curry was especially tasty. Dinner at the restaurant was inexpensive and very good. We had the steamed sea bass with lime sauce and the mee goreng. Yum! The restaurant staff were all very helpful and we especially appreciated our interactions and chats with Ye Myint Tin, Ko Thet Tin, Chit Ko Ko, San Min Aung and Su Tut Htut. This is a wonderful hotel from which to see Yangon. We would definitely stay here again.

The service is super attentive, friendly and always available, happy to help. After 2 days into my stay at the hotel, every staff greeted me by name, remembered the way I like my eggs in the morning, prompt service and always with a big smile. Rooms are big and clean as expected. Will stay there again.

I choose to stay this hotel since 2015. This is my 3rd times coming back to this hotel on 2019. Stayed for 3 weeks this time.. There a few reasons why I come back. Majority of the staffs are well trained, very helpful & polite. The management, Front office, bell services, F&B staffs (mainly breakfast served staffs at Excutive lounge), as well as room attendant to my room for daily. Majority staffs are efficiency to served the guests and initiative. Quiet impressive to some staffs and hopefully they are still here until when I come back next time in the near future. I stayed on the 5th floor, the room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfy. The sheets and pillowcases was still new and very clean that the hotel provided daily. I kept same room attendant to clean my room daily as I was a long stay guest. Fully satisfied with my room attendant. Moreover the view from my room was such a wonderful and memorizing as the heart of Yangon city, So called shwedagone pagoda. Especially the night view was breath taking. Roof top floor has a bar, the price was reasonable and menu was mediocre. Small gym and spa on 8th floor. I enjoyed using sauna and steam room during my stayed, but disappointed for jacuzzi was break down, still not fixed yet. The room rates included for the breakfast is value for money. During my stayed, the breakfast was choose able between local traditional or Chinese as well as continental. However as for long stayed guest, I was a bit bored with routined breakfast after 10 days. I mainly choose to eat seasonal fresh fruits and enjoyed it. Overall you may finds a little flaws, yet marvellous services could make your stay convenient and delightful. It's worth it to stay, Ideally to choose for and fully recommended. Looking forward to coming back to this hotel in the near future.

Our room had a great view of the Shwedegon Pagoda and there were a couple of good restaurants within walking distance and the city park was a 15 minute walk. We thought the hotel was a little bit too far out of town, but the concierge was able to organise a taxi and negotiated the price for us. The staff were well trained, and provided excellent hospitality and we enjoyed a great breakfast and pre dinner drinks from the rooftop bar. We are very happy to recommend this wonderful hotel to guests travelling to Yangon.

I have lived and worked in Yangon for almost a year now 14th December 2018. This hotel is central to all things and on good roads to take you where you wish to travel. It is close to major park Kandawgyi which provides wonderful walking trails and a great escape from the hustle of the traffic of Yangon. The ground staff at reception are always cheerful and helpful and polite. Special mentions to Yin Yin, Thiri and Khin Khin who always have a greeting smile and ask how I am daily. The porters like Lay Naing and Phae Thet are so helpful in getting cabs and helping helping with baggage and directions to taxi drivers and giving me local advice on what is best. The managers including Mr Thet are exceptional in asistance provided. Nothing is too much. I once had a package to take back to my home country and Mr Thet personally wrapped the package for me to make the carrying easier. LIke the porter Mr Thet is always cheerful and full of good cheer and gives you the sense you are not a guest but a good friend. Makes you feel very special. The night manager is outstanding. Mr Michael is always on hand to oversee most things. What he does not know about Yangon is not worth knowing. His practical assistance is invaluable and always asking if everything ok. All the staff are genuine and polite and respectful. The room is brillant that overlooks the famous Shwedagon Pagoda. So very special. The room is cleaned daily to a good standard and all supplies bathroom supplies changed daily and linen is a very good standard. There is virtually no noise factor and the breakfast is very delicious. To me its a home away from home. Very happy to stay at this hotel. Ideal and I recommend.

I stayed at the Best Western Green Hill Hotel a few years ago, and loved it. Last January I took my somewhat-reluctant Thai fiancee to Yangon, and promised Nok that if she didn't like anything else, she would LOVE the hotel. And of course, she did. I've stayed at numerous other upscale hotels throughout Asia, as well as fine ones in Europe and the Americas. But the BW Green Hill really is one of my absolute favourites. Shame on me for not doing a TA review much earlier. The staff is incredibly professional and helpful. The location is quite good to my mind, on Po Sein Road, about 200 meters north of the Royal Lake and Bogyoke Park, and an easy walk to White Rice Restaurant, which I've reviewed. Shwedagon is walkable, and a scenic walk—I've done it numerous times—but Yangon can be brutally hot most months of the year, and you might want the hotel to fetch a taxi for you. The rooms are quite nice, with a decorative floor rug, spacious wardrobe, modern bathroom, and other amenities (see Room photo). WiFi was never a problem, and I particularly liked the comfy chairs in the sitting area (see Sitting Area photo). The only room problem that I ever had on any stay was a room safe once that was deader than a doornail; a staffer promptly fixed that with a new battery. But there are two things, above any others, that really set this hotel apart: their breakfasts, and their rooftop bar. Right, I've had lunches and dinners at the BWGH, and they've always been fine, but the hotel pulls out all stops for breakfast. They have Western food stations (see Omelette Station. Cereal and Muesli Station, and Pastry Station photos). You can get a proper congee, with all the usual accoutrements (see Congee and Condiments Station photo), and they've got other stations for other parts of Asia (see Sushi station photo, in the background of this photo is the Indian food station). Depending on the day—I never worked out the schedule—they might have a Burmese noodle station; if so, be sure to get some; just tell the lad to make ‘em the way he thinks best. They also put out what I can only assume is a food offering, similar to those Thais make every morning to the little shrines outside their house, though in the hotel's case, the god is a pretty warlike hombre (see Sacred Offering photo). That the breakfast pastries are top-notch is to be expected, since this hotel also has incredibly good European cakes and pastries for a late-night indulgence (see Restaurant and Pastry photo). In years of wandering all over Asia, with some memorable breakfasts from other outstanding hotels, the only hotel I've stayed in that I think clearly surpasses the Best Western Green Hill, is the Raffles in Singapore. I think this speaks to how high BWGH sets the bar. Speaking of bars, the second huge draw for me is the hotel's splendid rooftop bar. it's not actually on the roof; it shares the top floor a fitness center (presumably for anyone who hasn't lost enough weight hiking all over town in Yangon's oppressive heat). But it's a terrace bar, facing due west. And due west of the BW Green Hill is ... Shwedagon. Since the open area across the road is full of lush tropical trees (like all of Yangon), the view is splendid (see Shwedagon from Hotel, but note that I zoomed in for this shot). And, 90 degrees to the right of that is another splendid Buddhist site; the staffers disputed which one it was, but if I had to bet, I'd put my money on the Nga Htat Gyi temple, home to an impressive giant seated Buddha (see Balloon and Temple photo; I assume the hot-air balloonists were getting a even better view than I was). ps. Supposed to be a massage parlor at the hotel, too. They probably have one now, but hadn't opened yet when we stayed there, so the hotel arranged for Nok to head off to another massage parlor nearby, where she could get a genuine Thai massage, Burmese style. If I ever return to Yangon, and I hope I will, I won't even consider another hotel. If the BW Green Hill isn't available, I'd change my schedule to sometime when it is. It's that good.

We stayed here 2 nights. The room was very nice and big. My husband ordered a hamburger at the rooftop restaurant they have. It was completely cold so he asked the staf who hardly spoke English to solve it. So his food was send back to the kitchen. After 10 minutes the food came back and the only thing that was hot was the fries and the hamburger was still cold. I was expecting a bit more for a 4 star hotel. Another thing is that you have to shower in a bad tube a bit old fashion for a hotel. The location is also a bit far from everything so you have to take a taxi to go somewhere.

Stayed for a few weeks on a business trip. Hotel is comfortable and value for money. At the time of my travel, mainly used by tour groups, occasionally dominating the breakfast buffet. Service everywhere was very friendly and accommodating.

Green Hill is a good business hotel, like its sister BW in Chinatown. While the Chinatown hotel rises over the bustle of street markets and cars, Greenhill is set by the lake and has a rooftop view of the Shwedagon Pagoda. Both hotels have very good facilities and services, as business travellers expect. These are always delivered with consideration, and staff use their language skills to communicate effectively with foreign guests. Greenhill has been outstanding in its service. Just one example: when my wallet turned up on other side of town, a member of staff accompanied me to facilitate its safe return. Thank you Greenhill!

A good hotel located abit outside of town but with a good seeing on the 8th floor of shwedagon pagoda.Rooms are good have a fitness center sauna and steam.Breakfast fair with some kind of local and western meal.Overall Good business hotel conduct meeting.

We enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Great hotel with very very friendly staff! Definitely worth staying when visiting Yangon. Many thanks to the supervisor Pyie Pong Aung and the waiter Kaung Sat Iwin. It is my family's first time in Myanmar, we stayed 14days in Best Western Green Hill Hotel. I totally enjoyed my stay, beside having a comfortable room, the buffet breakfast is excellent. What I truly like is the staff are very courteous and friendly, from the time you arrive, staff outside is helping you out in the car, the staff at the door will greet you, the reception staff and managers smiling and greet you, the restaurant staff and managers will smile at you when you pass them going to elevator, and at the breakfast area where all the staff and managers are so courteous asking you what you need so they can get for you. At the lobby area and at the restaurant at the ground and at the 8th floor, all the staff are playing with my 2 year old kid which we truly appreciate, we feel being a family to them. Thanks guys! We will come back whenever possible.

Almost every staff in the hotel, except the shy ones, go out of their way to help you.They are all also very friendly. The prices are affordable and they give a lot of perks.Ideal for 1 - 2weeks of stay.

If you are in Yangon this is the hotel where you must stay. And, the restaurant bar on the 8th floor is spectacular with a view of Shwedagon on the horizon. We were served by two incredibly professional and friendly restaurant staff; Mr. Ko They Tin and Mr. San Min! They made the whole experience perfect!

I have spent a week in BW, the staff were very caring and accomodating. The night manager Michael was extremely helpful when i had a problem with my phone and have an important call to take for work. Really appreciated the stay. The room was very spacious and clean. The breakfast was very good with many choices. All in all - excellent service and stay.

The room is very large with great in-room facilities. The hotel is located so near that our room has the Chavedagong Pagoda view which is very impressive at night. The breakfast is very extensive especially with the local cuisine looked and tasted so good.

It's the best stay in Myanmar.. Staff could speak fluent English. I simply love their gym room and hot steam. Posh looking toilet. Outlook of the hotel looks old however rooms are clean and facilities is top notch.

Westayed for 4 days in the hotel because my friend was ill. Normaly we stay in guesthouses and dorms. We loved the friendly staff and the staff was really friendly ! Really recommend this hotel to everyone

Ideal location for our trip - close to the location for Mass by Pope Francis. Rooms were large and clean. Fairly good selection at the breakfast buffet - a mix of western and local items. We had 1 linch and 2 dinners at the hotel restaurant - good value for money. Had cocktails every night - USD3-4 each!

The Best Western Green Hills Hotel in Yangon is very nice, clean and safe. The staff is wonderful, so kind and will help accommodate any request. Thet Naing Oo helped arrange tours all around the city for me with taxi drivers. The hotel is near a very nice park that is worth sightseeing! Great food at the hotel with a large selection and a wonderful complimentary breakfast!

During the last year I had a lot of business trips to Yangon and stayed most of the times at this hotel. - The staff is very friendly and supportive in all belongings and they even remembered my name after some stays. The rooms are spacious but don't expect luxury. Room service is available 24 h and the restaurant serves international and SEA food for reasonable prices. - The breakfast buffet is the only point where I can see space for improvement. Lately they opened a rooftop bar and restaurant with a nice view over the city as well as a Gym and Spa.

My husband and I stayed at BW Greenhills on our way in and out of Myanmar and found the hotel very good. The rooms were immaculate, all very clean. Front staff and restaurant staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Food and pricing great, would definitely use this hotel again and recommend to family and friends

I stayed here for business and ended up staying longer for personal travel. The staff were incredibly helpful, they had a great variety of food for the breakfast buffet, and the gym was very convenient to use. This place made for a very comfortable visit and there's even a great view of the Pagoda on the rooftop lounge!

We stayed at the beginning and end of our tour of Myanmar. The hotel was comfortable and efficiently run by friendly staff. We enjoyed good breakfasts and used the rooftop bar and restaurant. One evening after a full day we ordered room service which arrived promptly and cost no more than the restaurant. Would recommend.

Hotel is located in near of Shwe Dagon Pagoda and Kandawgyi people park. The hotel is inside of road. But service is good. The best thing is breakfast. Local travellers are stayed than other. But car parking is narrow.

This was a good choice to finish our tour of Myanmar. Located not too far from a lake and a good spa, this was a good base from which to visit Yangon. The hotel seems pretty new with clean facilities, ample bedrooms and, mercifully, with proper mattresses!! Breakfast was good, staff were super nice, but the restaurant's black forest gateau was horrible (avoid any cakes that have been sitting on display.) This hotel didn't have a spa, but we found one just around the corner (Signature Spa). **Avoid the rooms facing the monastery as there is noise at 5:00-6:00 AM. We asked yo be moved to the other side after a sleepless night and got a great view of Shwendagon Pagoda **

We had this hotel at the beginning of our trip and it was wonderful. The bed was perfect, the rooms are big and very clean, the staff is very friendly and help you with all your requests, the view (if you have one of the higher rooms) is stunning, or you can go to the rooftop bar for the view. We couldn't have breakfast because we had to leave very early, but they packed a good breakfast for us. It's a bit far from most of the bars and restaurants, but you can take a taxi there, or walk. But keep in mind that the walk is quite a distance (although it looks close on the map). Would definitely recommend!

The hotel has all of the amenities of a Western hotel except a pool. It's very comfortable; however, it is a distance from the middle of town where people want to go for nightlife and dinner - like 19th Street. No complaints

This hotel is located on quite a hilly area within the Tamwe Township. The location is perfect as it is pretty quiet and secluded and yet within walking distance to Kandawgyi Park and also the zoo. For someone who loves a quiet location, this is definitely the hotel for you. Staffs are friendly and the rooms are spacious too. Prices are reasonable and the breakfast selection is sumptuous.

We arrived at the Best Western Green Hill Hotel after a long journey from Alicante, Spain. We were given large, spacious rooms with good bathrooms and comfortable beds. Dinner at the hotel was excellent, with enormous portions, especially the soups... the shape of things to come throughout our journey. On our last night in Yangon after our tour we returned to the hotel, where we were warmly welcomed by the head waiter, who remembered us. This time we had rooms on a third floor, which have been refurbished (ask for these). Both times we had views over the shiny golden pagoda. The hotel is is a good location, the breakfasts are superb and the staff are friendly and healthy. A taxi to the downtown area with its markets and shops is just a few dollars away. Highly recommended.

Stayed for two nights whilst touring Myanmar. The hotel was lovely, clean, modern and the staff were extremely helpful. The breakfast was lovely, lots of choice for all tastes. My husband ate in the restaurant one evening, he enjoyed his food and it was good value. The one disappointment was the position, there was not much around in the evenings however that said we enjoyed our stay.

We stayed for two nights on the last leg of a splendid 14-day tour of Myanmar. The beds and pillows here were the most comfortable of our trip. The view from our room was of green parks, with a distant sighting of the 100 metre golden pagoda. We ate in the hotel restaurant and enjoyed a tasty Myanmar prawn curry plus a well made caesar's salad. The cocktail prices were low at 4 US dollars but did not seem to contain much alcohol.

Very nice hotel, clean, nice furnished rooms, big windows. There is a small gym, but no pool. Staff is very careful. The washing is cheap. Restaurant offer a lot of tasty food and local wine. The location si good, near Lake Kandawgyi, but on the other side, nothing special around.

I like the location as it s near Kandawgyi Lake ( it s a good place to have a walk in the early morning before the traffic jam) and only 15 minutes walk from the Big Shwedagon Pagoda. Rooms are good, big and the restaurant is good as well.

We were starting our tour of Myanmar and stayed here for our first two nights. The best beds of the whole tour! Good 3* hotel, nice room facing the pagoda, aircon worked well and a reasonable breakfast selection. A small 7-11 type shop 50m from front door. They kept one of our bags for a week free of charge too. Much better than our hotels in Bagan and Mandalay! Thank you for a great start!

We arrived about 2pm and went straight to the restaurant for lunch. We waited 45 minutes for our drinks and a further 10 minutes for our food. The staff apologised profusely and said they were very busy - well - we were the only ones in the restaurant for the entire time!!!. That evening because of the heavy rain, we ate again at the restaurant (taxis were hard to come by) and again we waited almost 40 minutes before our order was even taken, and then a further 20 minutes before our food and drinks arrived and that was only because I complained to the restaurant manager. Unfortunately, the reception team were also very blasé in the way they handled their customers. For example, not one of them spoke to us, just asked us for passport, handed us keys, there was no greeting, we were just handed everything with no thank you or welcome. In addition, our tour guide told reception the name of a restaurant to eat at, and the reception team said they would direct us to it. Needless to say, when we came down to reception 10 minutes later, they could not remember the name of the restaurant. So, I would highly recommend Fusion - a Chinese thai restaurant, 3 minutes walk from the hotel. It is stunning! Amazing food, great service as I do not recommend eating at the hotel. The manager of the restaurant barely spoke English and when I complained at dinner, he barely apologized and said next to nothing - his assistant instead translated. The rooms themselves are good enough but unfortunately, our bad experience at the restaurant really lets this hotel down. I would not recommend staying here if you are planning breakfast and dinner here - it is not worth the stress the restaurant adds to what is supposed to be, a holiday and relaxing time in Myanmar/Yangon. I am sure you will find better hotels, better quality, without this stress

This nice hotel lies near the royal lake and is just two kilometres from the world famous Shwedagon pagoda, with roots from the fifth hundred BC. The reception is welcoming, and the room corridor looks nice. The rooms are beautiful and rather large, with all the normal facilities. However, our view was just a tree but since the city is quite green that was perhaps what could be expected, worse was that it was not possibly to get the curtain to the side, so you could get some daylight into the room. For us that come from a resort the best with this hotel was that it has the best internet access that we have experienced in a hotel in Myanmar and probably one of best in south East Asia. However, the bathroom does not live up to their overall standard. It is functioning, but it is not very nice, and the water tap on the sink was lose and the water pressure is very low, and you have to wait for ages for the warm water to come. The breakfast is good, but nothing over the normal fine standard in Myanmar. However, they had some brown bread that was our first in Myanmar. The service in the restaurant is OK even if the staff is not as good or experienced as in some other hotels and resorts we have stayed in this country. The staff at the reception have a higher standard. The Green Hotel is a good hotel with a few lesser flaws but nothing over the ordenary.

Highlight of our week long workshop were the lunches which featured a good selection of Myanmar dishes. Learned a lot about local food as chef available to explain. Locales and sweets included. ....................

Nice Hotel in a quiet area.Close to Zoo and Lake. As with most of Yangon you will need to get a taxi for anywhere but they are honestly priced. Very comfortable and well sized room with good room good service. Good evening meal choice available in the restaurant and exceptional choices for breakfast to suit the wide diversity of clients. Well run and welcoming business hotel. Great stay.

I have stayed only one night on my business trip. The staff are helpful and service is really nice. The room are good enough for staying there. Only the humidity smell when i entered in the room is the down point. Hope this one can improve in future. The view from the room is can pray Shwedagon Pagoda which is the prefect image to stay here. The breakfast is tasteful and excellent as well. Keep it up!

We stayed there for 2 weeks and very happy with the services we received. Receptions is very helpful, attentive and helped manage strings of our guests. Manager is very accomodating and made sure that we were well looked and met all our needs. Friendly staff at breakfast bar and great breakfast selections. This is now our go to hotel every time we visit Yangon!

Hi, Lovely hotel, Great attentive staff,good breakfast. Room was good size and very quiet. All amenities provided. Internet was reasonable speed and reliable. Hotel is a bit isolated from restaurants and shopping requiring a taxi to go anywhere. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel.

The hotel and room considered ok. Friendly staff and breakfast just so so.But hotel location a bit odd, need to walk a bit to restaurant / nearest cafe. It's ok for a quick business trip. Will not recommend for family with kids especially children wanting playground, swimming pool etc

The bed was excellent, the breakfast was excellent. And the room was very comfortable and very relaxing to stay in included even an extra large TV that had a picture frame around it for beauty. Great hotel

The Great Western Green Hill is located between the town centre and the airport, and walking distance to Green Lake (which is a great area to visit). Staff are very friendly, and there is always someone on hand that speaks fluent English. Beds are very comfortable and the rooms are well appointed at a 4.5 star level. The food served varies from Western to Burmese / Chinese and was great. On our first night there was a Buddist seminar in the Conference area, so everyone received a complimentary dinner ... this generosity is part of the Burmese culture, and even though we weren't part of the seminar they wouldn't let us pay. Note: traffic in Rangon is horrendous (even though bikes are banned), so allow an hour from here to the Airport ($8000kyat)

The hotel is located away from the buzz and smells from the town centre in a safe neighbourhood, close enough to most attractions, such as the Ngar Htat Gyi Pagoda (cave temple), Shwedagon Pagoda (Golden Pagoda) or the Chauk Htat Kyi Pagoda (huge reclining Buddha) You will find out that getting a taxi is very easy, but traffic is hell. It can take you 40 minutes to drive 5 kms, especially at peak time. This hotel has big, clean rooms with all facilities and excellent service (The concierge is extremely helpful and knowable) The food is fairly good. They have a bar and a reception. My only complaint was that the smell of food travels up the staircase and can be annoying.

And once more I stayed at this place. I was a bit disappointed that the towels are really looking old now and the smoking area directly at the entrance is really killing the positive experience created by staff and facilities. The breafast buffet is fantastic.

Clean room. Nice breakfast & many choices. Not far from other place. I've been here just 1 night but very impressive here. There has famous Thai food restaurant opposite the hotel. I'm very recommend to stay here.

Friendly, accommodating, clean comfortable and good food. Though not amidst the high chains of hotels near the river .. it is within easy walking distance of the main Pagoda and local lake .. The hotel offers a warm welcome and is very cost effective. Highly recommend you try the location.

The most memorable asset of this hotel is the extremely kind and helpful staff. Rooms are specious and sufficent. The hotel is located a 15 minute walk from UNDevelopment Programme office so covenient for business trips there. A buffet breakfast is offered with a relatively good selection.

I have stayed for 9 days. It was a very good pleasure in staying. Breakfast was very good and delicious. The breakfast is a lot of choice and they change the menu daily.Especially Alu-puri and eggs are very good taste. The hotel is in a nice spot just near Kandawgyi Lake.You can go to the park around lake. If I would be again in Yangon I would stay again in Best Western Green Hill.

I think the service and wifi at Green Hill are by far good than any other hotels at Yangon.The girls at the reception are friendly ,sweet and helpful. A wide range of food and drink at the breakfast table is amazing and scrumptious. Besides a short walk to the Kandawgyi recreation park and lake , and also to the great Shwedagon Pagoda which is the symbol of Yangon. The rooms have enough space for the visitors and room service is good too. It has enough car-parking space as well.

I got really good impression on this hotel. All the staffs are kind and ready to help guests. Meal in the restauant are very tasty and delicious. Room service including cleaning and laundry are also great. I recommend this hotel to my friends without hesitation. Especially miss Yue Lynn Mi has been very kind during our stay in this hotel.

We came here from another hotel in Yangon for the start of a package tour, and returned for the last night of our tour. The staff were excellent. Our room was large and clean with a decent sized window. The bed was fine. The bathroom was dated but adequate. We missed breakfast both stays due to early flights but the packed breakfast they provided was good. The restaurant offers a good range of tasty food, with good service. Wi fi was excellent. The hotel is off the beaten track but fine if you have tours.

1. The hotel is conveniently located to the main attractions. It was also close to a pretty lake where locals stroll and jog around. Not a tonne of food options around the area, but the Thai/Chinese restaurant within walking distance served delicious and inexpensive food. 2. Rooms. Request for a room that faces the Shwedagon Pagoda - the view makes a lot of difference! The rooms were average, since this is not a five-star hotel but perfectly adequate and spacious enough. 3. Breakfast. Western options were pretty average, but I personally enjoyed the 'noodles bar' which serves different local Cambodian noodle dishes in the morning. Very delicious! 4. The hotel seems to serve tourist groups, which can be slightly annoying, but overall it was a pleasant enough stay and definitely better and more comfortable than the Merchant Art hotel we stayed in (also in Yangon).

Hotel reception & restaurant are very kind and helpful. And restaurant is cheap relative to taste and quality. I think this hotel service will be serviced in more than 5 star level. In rainy season, I can borrow a umbrella and door man is very kind and help to call a taxi

I stay at Best Western Green Hill Hotel 11 days . I always came this Hotel when I stay in Yangon. I really like their services and facilities. Receptionist always give me a good room and very helpful.The room is very clean and big. Breakfast is very nice and they served wide range of buffet foods. Near Shwedagon Pagoda and the place is very quiet.

Stay was good experience. The bath towels needs to be more clean. Some were old and smelling. Breakfast services were good. Room cleanniless was good but can be improved with better training to the employees.

Stayed for one night all well run perfectly adequate and comfortable with friendly staff. Adequate buffet breakfast for western tourists ! No problem staying here, does what it says on the tin do to speak.

The hotel is look like a new. Lobby floor are shining and everyone are smiling. The room is clean and big enough. The breakfast is very good and I like strawberry smoothie. The gym is a little small but full of equipment and I can see the Shwedagon Pagoda from the running machine.I recommend for my friends.

When i always come in yangon i stay Best West Green Hill Hotel. That hotel is like my second home. Every staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful front desk, housekeeping, f&b staff etc.. I like the room No. 713 because of the view is very nice and i can see over the city until river. That room is near the gym also. I really recommand that hotel.

Stayed in this hotel for the first time during my 10th visit to Yangon. I got a good deal and loved my stay. It's a genuine star rated hotel.The biggest USP is the breakfast which truly amazing with great spreads and options. If i get a good deal again, will stay here for sure.

I was pleased with the location and price of this hotel and the hotel was fine for a short stay. I am not sure it would be good for staying much longer than 1-2 nights but we enjoyed our time here in any case. Breakfast had a good selection and was not overly busy. Staff were very helpful, and spoke good english. Would recommend.

Basically, this was my 3rd trip to Yangon. All 3 time stay different hotel. View from room is OK. Room was still fine by my standard but need more power point. Kettle was with a 3 pin plug but the area where it was located, it have a 2 pin power point. Please run the water before bathing as when i filled the bathtub, water was brown in colour. Breakfast was average, not much choice given. Power trip more then 5 times during the stay I was there so if you are using a laptop, do not plug out the battery. Personally, i felt the best part of stay was it was quiet at night compare to other hotel i stayed in within Yangon.

The staffis very helpful, great hospitality and felt like at home. Very good food, good spread too. The staff helped us taking print out at 11pm for our next day meetings. Internet had few hiccups during our 4 days of stay.

I recently stayed at this hotel. My oversll impression was that is is a good average if you would not have all the smokers in front of the entrance and a wifi policy that forbids you to watch streamed movies on your phone.

Staff very attentive excellent food.This is located in phoe sein road.Nearly Shwedagon Pagoda and Kandawgyi lake. It have a large car parking. The receptionist girl prefer me late check-out with no charges. i 'm really satisfied. for this service.

We went here for six nights on a conference - living and working in the same venue. Great seat up overall altho' if your looking for something less western and more authentic Mayanmar this is not the place. But with that written; great big rooms, ac on point, fantastic service and (a must for wirking trips) a back up generator for when the power goes out.

Many hotels have nice, clean facilities, but this place has some of the most personable hotel staff i have met anywhere in the world. I felt like i was part of the family. I plan to be back. The food was excellent, i had not expected the guality to be so high and the prices so reasonable. Also the location is close to Schwedagon, i walked there through the park in about 25 minutes.

Pros - Value for money - Good housekeeping - Friendly staff and chefs - Good food selection (more ethnic food please!) - Spacious and well lit rooms - Spacious bathrooms and good selection of toiletries - Fair minibar prices - Soft bed and 6 pillows (They had me at 6 pillows) - Two towel sizes: the standard western one and a smaller Asian-size one (first time I saw this so Im really happy) Cons - Pungent smell (like papaya) in the corridors of 5th floor - Elevator buttons are hard to press - Tacky and inconsistent décor but this is just my opinion - Very cold conference rooms - Wifi can be weak at times but then again, this is Yangon - Dessert selection needs more pzazzzz - The furniture and the carpet make the room feel stuffy when AC is not turned on - Water pressure of faucets is really intense especially the bidet and shower - Hot shower is too hot and temperature is hard to control (take caution if you have kids) - Surrounding Streets are very dark at night

Location was good to visit the famous pagoda, closed to national museum, very interesting visit....Room was perfect, very clean. Breakfast great and huge...menu for dinner was so tasteful. All the staff was very nice and helpful with shiny smiling all the time.

I stayed at Best Western Green Hotel for three nights. Everything was excellent:) The Breakfast was great, a lot of different food. To go to Downtown you have to take a Taxi, this is not a problem you only have to pay 3000 kyats. Realy near the Hotel you can walk to the Kandawgyi Lake, very Beautiful:) an you also can walk to the Shwedagone Pagoda. I will stay here again:) for my next Trip to Yangon.

We came to this hotel in a group of eight friends. The staff was very kind with everybody and supported all of our needs. They gently keep our luggage while we traveled to Bagan for two days. The concierge service was perfect, the restaurant either. I have no negative points to say. The apartments were really clean and comfortable. I would certainly come back!

I chose to stay at the Best Western Green Hill for an extended stay recently and was not disappointed. The accommodation was great, the food was great and the staff was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. The only issue for me was insufficient power points in my room. I asked for an extension lead and was supplied with one. My suggestion would be for one to be installed in each room.

We took the Best Western Hotel for our last day in Myanmar. It is very close to Shwedagon pagode, so you can walk there in 20 minutes along the nice park. The stuff is very helpful and friendly We enjoyed our short stay here.

I would to share about my experience that is I was stayed in Best Western Green Hill hotel. This hotel is nice and staffs are very patient and kind. The service is good . I have a room with pagoda view . I was really satisfied.

Best Western Green Hill Hotels, Since I came back from Dubai, I was staying at since 2012. Ever the most is warmest home away from home. Whenever I traveled Yangon, the first and every choice is Green hill . I like their Oriental and western Buffet for breakfast and room fecilities. It is a unique atmospher where solo or family to stay ever. The room type varies from non smoking to smoking room. And the hotel also serve a long stay travelers like Business , leisure and tourists. I highly recommend this hotels at the highest warm home away from home. 2012/2013/2014/2015/2016 These are my staying years which I ever used to stay at Green Hill Hotels.

I was ready to give this hotel 5 dots. Nice comfortable room, good breakfast, helpful staff, quiet area. There was even chocolate waiting for us in the room. The internet was sometimes good sometimes so-so but this is country-wide issue. The speed was actually better here than most other places where we stayed. The big downer was no hot water in the morning. I don't mean, not hot enough, I mean cold. Too bad as this is a very good hotel for a Best Western.

I stayed in the hotel for approximately a week for a workshop, and enjoyed my stay there. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast and lunch buffets were diverse with many options. The staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful. The wifi connection was generally ok but unstable at times.

Good location not too far from anywhere! The room was great, with a very large room and decent amenities. Breakfast menu was very nice as was the service. We had our lunch and dinners outside! Front-desk and room service people were friendly and courteous! Would love to stay here again.

Quite good hotel. We were there for only one night, flying out early the next morning. The hotel staff packed a breakfast for us, provided a wake up call, got us a taxi, and were very accommodating. Well done.

Stayed in this hotel for a night before taking a trip to Kyaiktiyo Pagoda. Room a bit dated but got everything. Nice breakfast. Staff very friendly, they helped us wearing Sarong, local clothing style for men all over Myanmar.

I stayed in the hotel for nearly a week to attend a professional meeting to my great satisfaction. The staff are attentive and kind and competent. The breakfast buffet is one of the best among many places I have visited in Asia and Europe. The variety and suitability for different cultures make it great for most including vegetarians. Choose higher level floor--the 4th was excellent. One thing not great was that the plumbing seemed a bit wonky at times. One day, there were gurgling noises so i called. The maintenance crew arrived as fast as I could hang up the receiver and took car of it. Green Hill was a wonderful place for our professional gathering as well as the base for sightseeing. Located close to various historical and cultural sites.

After an unwelcoming start staff became more friendly and attentive as our stay continued thanks to the smooth friendly day manager and the very friendly and courteous night manager. The staff really improved as our stay continued. If you are after a quite location rather than the hustle bustle and noise of the centre this is the place to stay. well-proportioned rooms clean and well maintained. Great breakfast spread and fabulous cakes, however dinner poor service and meal not necessarily matching your order, my fillet minion steak turned out to be a centimeter thick square of a tough and unknown cut of meat, all dinners only luke warm. Waitress Ei (female) was great, should be the role model for ALL staff. All attractions and the new Myanmar market a $2.50 15-30 minute taxi ride even in the 6 million person chaotic traffic. Could be a great place with a swimming pool and more smiling faces.

Clean rooms with great breakfast buffet. Situated in a quiet lane known by locals. 10mins by car to the city center without traffic. 3mins walk to the KanDawGyi lake so it's very good if you want to enjoy the beautiful greens while jogging when not raining. Long stay Japanese are most customers so it indicates clean quality. But the prices jumps when it comes to the Pagoda view room which I don't take it as a good view so I chose the back yard. Espresso is good.

We arrived here late from Bangkok as that seems to be the main point on my 2 months in SEA. It is tucked away behind an old colonial house and modern to North Korean/Russian standards which I found refreshing! I'm grateful that it was what it was, super polite helpful staff and our room is a typical chain hotel, clean and fit for its purpose with no frills and fab wifi which if you travel in Burma is limited, trust me! The breakfast is a mega colossal buffet that caters for all tastes. My partner is a veggie and had the 'euro' typical eggs, bread and beans (these baked beans are massive here btw!) I eat like a pig so had, sushi, rice congee, dim sum, noodles, rice , vegetables topped with waffles, I only weigh a mere 70kg but boy can I eat! The staff were so lovely and polite, it's incredible here in Burma, so refreshing compared to a lot of places I visit. We had an ultra early pick up as going onto Bagan and ate our brekky at 0530 and the staff were so accommodating! We have returned to here as part of our Trailfinders bespoke package and it might not be everyone's cup of tea but it suited us fine and the staff remembered us! It's safe, clean and has super nice staff!

Welcoming staff, great breakfast and well appointed. Close to lake and 10minutes into downtown. Helpful advice for catching taxis. Used by lots of different nationalities. Very comfortable rooms with usually adequate wifi.

Best Western Green Hill definitely lives up to being BEST. It's one of the best hotels I've stayed in in Yangon. Not cheap but still very affordable. Go treat yourself to a good hotel in Yangon. Ask for a room with the view of Shwedagon Pagoda. Very beautiful shining gold at night. Inspiring view in the morning. Very clean, beautiful appointments. Service is simple but elegant. Good buffet even though a small hotel. friendly staff ready to serve you always. Not very near stores and shops, though. But hey, just flag down a cab and explore the city

We stayed for two nights and were impressed. The staff were polite and obliging and generally spoke English well.The room was spotless and the bed comfortable. Limited TV channel choices. The buffet breakfast offered a huge choice and our cups were barely emptied before someone was offering to fill them up. The restaurant choices at other times are limited but there is a good range of cakes to enjoy with a coffee! Wifi worked well and we used the business centre facilities to print out e.boarding passes. What's not to like about this place unless you're a bit of a snob!

We stayed here at the start and end of our trip in Yangon. Firstly if you need WiFi -the signal is great and available from your room. The breakfast has a great choice of options - this was the best breakfast we experienced whilst travelling in Myanmar. On our return visit we got upgraded and our room had spectacular view of the Shwedagon Paya - and we got some great photos of it at night.

Ive just returned fod the third time. The hotel itself is good. Not spectacular, but more than expected for the price range. The staff are probably the best Ive come across anywhere in the world. Quite a statement, but there is a non-forved genuine friendliness throughout. The management are doing a great job.

I stayed at the Green Hill for two weeks and never had one complaint. The staff are some of the friendliest people and have excellent customer service. The cost of rooms are reasonable, especially when you see the breakfast spread that is included in the price. This isn't your ordinary continental breakfast. The rooms were clean and the cleaning service was wonderful. Besides the great breakfast, the restaurant was nice good, concierge service was excellent and wifi was perfect. It's also a very central location just a very short walk from Shwedagon Pagoda and Kandawgwi Park.

The hotel had great service and food, especially breakfast! Watch for changes to the terms of the reservation (even if booked through BW website) and added fees for using a credit card. Overall the hotel was quite acceptable.

This was my first stay in this hotel. Excellent service and stay for me . Although this is a bit far considering day traffic but very near to pagoda which makes stay unique. Satff is courteous and helpful which is most important. I had a early check in and they accommodated my request without a question.

Very good rooms, spotlessly clean, pretty comfortable. We had a very quiet and restful night in good beds. Very nice bathroom with lots of toilet articles. Excellent breakfast with a wide choice of high quality food. Friendly and efficient staff. Definitely recommended.

We stayed twice at this hotel, and ran a workshop in the conference rooms. All the staff are incredibly helpful and courteous, whether reception, porters, housekeeping or restaurant, but I'd especially mention Mr Htay Naing Oo who managed our workshop - not only was everything organised perfectly but he was able to produce anything we needed for the workshop however unlikely it seemed! Our room was also very nice - quiet, clean and an extremely comfortable bed! If we return to Yangon we will certainly hope to stay here again.

We've stayed at this hotel 3 times this year for meetings, and it's been a great experience. The rooms are very nice, the staff are wonderful, and the meeting facilities and food are great. Highly recommend this hotel, and the price is right!

Stayed here for one night at the end of August. The Hotel was very clean throughout and decorated and furnished to a very high standard. TV had premium Satellite Channels at no additional cost, Free Internet that was good enough for basic services but took forever to download some work files. I took a look at the gym and was fitted out with Life Fitness equipment. Breakfast catered for both western and Eastern tastes and plenty of choice on both sides. Staff were extremely polite and very helpful. The Hotel was about 10mins taxi (3USD) to the Myanmar Plaza for a Western Style shopping Mall Definitely use the Hotel again

I was a longer term guest staying at the Green Hill and during my over 1 month stay the service and staff were consistent and very kind. Breakfast is very strong, maybe even more than their star count would normal offer. Rooms were perfect, clean and I spent a lot of time in their cozy gym area on the 7th floor (great view of the Shwedegone Pagoda from there!) I would recommend and certainly return.

The room quite clean also be spacious but the room ambient is so dark. And for meal, breakfast is good taste. Hotel location is great I walked just few minutes to restaurant. I'll go back again in 17th Aug 2016.

The hotel has a great location. Shwe Dagon pagoda and Kan daw gyi national park is just around the area that you can take 10-15mins walk to reach there. The hotel provides good service and it is worth the price. It has very big and comfortable meeting room. I recommend the cheese cake from there

Located close to the lake. A very short and cheap taxi to so many places. Check in staff all spoke fluent English and were very helpful. Hotel rooms are spacious. Breaky and lunch good. Didnt stay in for dinner. All the staff without exception smiled and were so friendly. Was in need of a massage after a week of sitting. 2 Streets down is Omega Spa. 4,500krat for an hour! Will go back again.

My crew and I were there for exactly one night. It was a busy shooting schedule we were on. The hotel was located pretty well for Yangon (traffic is everywhere!), the rooms quite clean and the service was excellent! Would definitely come back here again for work.

Good value for reasonable price. I have now stayed here 4 times and would recommend. Food range and quality also good. I will stay here again. There are 2 hotels with similar names so be careful. They take most credit cards.

I came to Yangon in October and checked in to this hotel expecting to stay for a month or so and then move into a more permanent place. Never imagined that I will still be living there after 8 months. The hotel has great staff, who make you feel like you are living in a home like environment (including them not making excuses but being totally honest when something goes not perfect!). Very good location, compact, peaceful and well maintained living quarters.

Good manager and staff. They greet me with a glass of juice at the moment I step in. There is some renovation so it is noisy but the manager is very happy to make sure I will have the best quiet room. Despite it is still a bit noisy but I am very happy. Location is not good, not much option around, have to take taxi to go to some interesting points. Taxi is not expensive and you can bargain it. So far so good!

Traveled and stayed here for business on several occasions. There is literally nothing to complain about the facilities at the Green Hill Hotel, the staff are friendly, the rooms are clean with new furniture, and I found the location good for both sightseeing and for getting to/from the office nearby. Wi-fi can be a bit weak, but I haven't been anyplace in Burma that has an excellent wi-fi connection, so no expectations shattered there. Shwe Dagon is a brisk 20 minute walk away, and taxis are nearly always available out front (the security guard will flag one down for you if you don't feel like the short walk down the hill). The only complaint is that there are not many restaurants within walking distance from the entrance, which is saying something for a place like Burma where someone is always frying a heap of noodles about 5 meters away from any given spot. The breakfast is decent (I prefer Asian breakfast in Asia), and the dinner/dessert on the ground floor restaurant is surprisingly well done. Overall, a good experience if you don't want to have to constantly worry about the state of your accommodation in Yangon.

The room was spacious, clean, and well-stocked with toiletries. The complimentary bottles of water were replenished daily. Given the hot weather, this was a thoughtful gesture. The wifi worked well. There was a blackout on one night. While blackouts are common in Myanmar, for the uninitiated, it might be an unnerving experience. The generator kicked in only after about a minute, and no staff was present to check in with the guests during or after the blackout. Aside from that, overall service standards are quite good. Staff are conversant in English, always smiling and helpful.

This hotel boasts a wide selection of food for breakfast. It also has a fitness centre but I was unable to use the cycling bike as the room was under minor renovation. Air-con was not functioning properly. We had to change one of our rooms and also had one air-con serviced, but the rooms were still not cool enough to our liking. The outside temperature was 40-42 deg!! We also had a couple of power failures during our short stay. The staff were all courteous. This hotel is a distant from Yangon downtown so there is no local market to explore. We took a 5 minutes' walk to the lake (towards Bangkok Kitchen) but it was a total disappointment as the lake was in a sorry state and there was foul smell in the air.

This hotel is located in a quiet location next to a monastery. But it is walking distance to nearby restaurants. I was upgraded to executive room. Room was really nice design and very comfortable and spacious too. I also visited the standard room because my friend was not upgraded. The room size is the same. Difference is that executive room has carpeted floor but standard room has wooden flooring. But in my opinion, the carpeted floor really adds extra luxury and comfort to the room even though it is only in terms of look. At least, you feel more comfortable, you sleep more comfortable right? :-) So, my advise, please ask for an upgrade to. I think they will give. You can say please "give me a good room." (That's what I say)..Then if they reply "We upgrade your room".. BINGO!!!

The hotel is not well located in a dark street. The entrance is cold, no charming for a Best Western. The receptionist are not speaking correctly English even the responsible, a too long check in. The room is old, need to be refresh, not a nice view, AC make a lot of noise, impossible to sleep. apparently there is some construction in the hotel who start early and finish late, the bathroom is not well clean, trash not empty, dust and soap trace in the shower. Breakfast correct but service very poor for a 4 star. We meet the sales manager, big guys, who was not dress properly and too much confident, no apologize. Lucky that we stay only one night !!

If you have a planned trip to Yangon , try to book the Best Western Green Hill in advance . You'll get a great rate . Closer to arrival it will be expensive as it is a popular hotel . Spacious , airy lobby , very pleasing front office staff and concierge , you can feel the warmth of the place the minute you enter into the lobby . The rooms are really large , compared to other cities in SE Asia . The room service & housekeeping is efficient and always close at hand . The restaurant in the lobby has a great spread for Breakfast and a pretty good menu serving Burmese and a few Thai dishes . They have a little pattiserie from where you can pick up pastries and quiche . All in all , a great property . I'd definitely return on my forthcoming trip.

This is not my first visit to Green Hill hotel. I have been there before, and chose to stay there on my recent visit. Main decision for the choice this time was based on the great value the hotel offers. It was priced about half of other so-called five star properties in the city, but you miss very little of the 5* facilities - unless a swimming pool is essential for your comfort. However, on this trip I noticed an enhanced level of service. From the reception to the checkout - the staff were very attentive and eager to make the experience pleasant. I have noticed a significant strengthening of their service orientation and as a result this will be my hotel of choice for future visits.

My first experience of Myanmar and what a good one. I stayed here a week and am pretty sure that all the staff smile the whole time. They are so friendly and helpful that they more than make up for the minor inconvenience of being a 2 dollar taxi ride away from the commercial district where I was working. In fact, the hotel is a couple of hundred yards away from a lovely park that's great for early morning walks or runs. There are a few restaurants nearby but in truth the hotel's "cafe" is more than adequate for all meals and good value too, compared to more centrally located hotels. The hotel has a reasonable fitness centre but no pool. They even have it located so that whilst pounding the treadmill the exercise fanatic has a great view of Shwedagon Pagoda. Great service, great value. I'll be back on my next visit to Yangon.

A really nice hotel in the heart of Yangon. Very clean, staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the room was amazing. Easy access to taxi's and close to Kandawgyi Lake. Breakfast was really nice with a wide variety of choices. Although I did not eat any other meals there, feedback from other guests was that the food is definitely top notch. Would definitely stay here in the future.

This is my first visit to Yangon and the Best Western Green Hill in Pho Sein Road is an absolutely charming place. Good and plentiful breakfast, great lobby and dining room. The staff are the real charm of the hotel. Kind, friendly and professional. Thank you!!

Hotel located a bit out of the centre but they offer a free shuttle to some tours attractions and in Yangon it is very difficult to walk. Staff and breakfast excellent. Rooms are good too but I was unlucky: no hot water from the tap, shower tube too short to have a shower and terrible background noise of central conditioning. Furtherome one of the floors was totally under renovation so there was noise during the day, but this was clearly reported. Make sure you do not get one of those rooms or ask to be moved. The staff is super nice, smiling and helpful at all times.

The stay at Green Hill Hotel was nothing short of impeccable. Having coordinated an event there at the beginning of April for a large group of international guests, I was blown away by the superior service and the above and beyond attitude of the staff. The special needs of the group were always accommodated with care and attention. Prior to our visit, the planning and preparation was seamless and organised with the help of Jonathan and the rest of the lovely Green Hill staff. We spent the majority of our time in the hotel, since we used one of their conference rooms for our program, and encountered only one very minor mix up during the entire stay. "Everything is possible" (a response I received after making a special request) at Green Hill Hotel. Although I was here on business, I would highly recommend it for any occasion. Well done, Green Hill!

The hotel is 5 minutes walk to the beautiful Kandawgyi Lake, where you can also find few good restaurants at the lake side. Hotel room is well furnished and clean. Beds and pillows are comfortable. Aircon working properly. Most importantly, wifi signals are strong. The fitness room on the 7th floor is well equipped. Threadmill has a TV screen. So guest can exercise and catch up on the latest news or movie.

When we arrived at this hotel, 1est evening in Myanmar, our suitcases were still in Bangkok and our daughter had an ear infection... The staf was extremely helpful and took u to the closest clinic, they called the airline several times. The bedroom are nice, the location is very pleasant close to the Park and Lake. It is quiet. The breakfast is very good and has lots of choices. Staff is really so nice!

We stayed at Best Western Green Hill for 4 nights in March although our stay was broken by one night away at the Golden Rock. As you would expect the check in was fast and efficient with the usually welcome fruit drink (which was always available in the lobby- nice touch). Both rooms were spacious but not much of a view. Our first room seem to have noisy birds outside especially early in the morning! The second room was on a higher floor so we didn't hear them so much. We ate in the hotel on several nights because the alternative was to get a taxi downtown. Both the food and the drinks are reasonably priced - they even have a cocktail of the month which is half priced. All the food we ate was excellent (can't remember what we had as we tried so many things!). The Chinese specials were very good indeed. However what stood out was the service. In the restaurant both in the evening and at breakfast. I have never seen so many staff making sure everything was right. At breakfast the managers were out with the chefs inspecting everything - at one point I counted 11 members out checking that nothing needed be replenished. Breakfasts were impressive. everything ranging from "western" to Myanmar - Chinese and Japanese. If we came back to Yangon We would definitely say here. Indeed this was a very good advert for Best Western. Well Done.

Stayed 3 nights in a twin sharing room. The room is large and very comfortable. Had a view of the Shwedagon Pagoda which was lit at night. Wifi connection was acceptable. Nearby the hotel are some reasonably priced restaurants (Japanese and Thai) so meal out is within walking distance.

Just been here few days ago for meeting, the hotel are nice, friendly staff, breakfast are good also. Good internet speed. There are 2% charge if paying the bill with credit card! It cost you around 40 usd to have their alpha rf to airport, hotel is 1 hour away from airport.

Stayed at the Best West for 2 nights for business/sight-seeing. The hotel is somewhat well-known by taxi drivers - but perhaps still better known just as 'Green Hill Hotel'. The hotel is well maintained and well-serviced for staff - there is often someone on hand in reception to offer assistance. The Executive Room was well-proportioned (two single beds) with a large flat-TV (some Western & sports channels) & sitting chairs, and a good aspect to the surrounding residential area. The bathroom has shower over bath. The decor & style is generally pretty dated on the guestroom floor - which is a contrast to the modern and clean lines of the reception floor. But the guestroom is generally quiet and comfortable - with the exception of the odd smell coming into the bathroom if the plug is left open. The hotel has onsite undercover parking, but unfortuntately no swimming pool for the end of a hot day's walking. The location of the hotel gives good quick access to Kandawgyi Lake and the Zoo, and I guess you can walk some distance to Shwedagon Pagoda if you wanted to via the Lake (probably about 30-45 mins). There isnt a whole lot on offer in the immediate surrounding streets in terms of restaurants/retail, but the hotel does offer a reasonable a la carte dinner service that was quite reasonable and popular, so I guess that is an indication of the hotel recognising the demand and seeing an opportunity. Downtown is a relatively short taxi ride to the south, and taxi's are often on-hand at the hotel entrance (prices to be negotiated). Given the pricing of the Downtown hotels and the more quiet atmosphere of the Green Hill area (less traffic, noise) but still being located close enough to the main sights and Downtown, I will consider staying there again as it provides good accomodation and good value.

We stayed here for 2 nights in March 2016 at the start of a trip around Burma. We didn't actually choose the hotel - a travel company did that for us (Which is unusual for us) but they did a good job on our behalf. The staff were incredibly friendly and eficient and throughout our stay really could not do enough for you. Check in was hassle free and the room was very comfortable. All the usual stuff - wifi worked well, good tv, good aircon etc. The breakfast was outstanding - superb spread including a chap to make waffles and yet again helpful frieldly waiting staff. The only gripe was a 2% surcharge for paying by Credit Card. (We had a couple of v nice evening meals), Can't remember the last time i had to pay more for using a credit card. I dare say its Best Western policy but don't like it. But thats a very smal moan in comparison to the superb service and comfy room on offer here. Would certainly stay again.

Stayed here in Feb 2016. Nice clean hotel, staff all very courteous and friendly. Breakfast buffet is great and hotel restaurant good. A little far from the shops and restaurants but cabs are not too expensive. Would stay here again.

This hotel was recommended and booked for us by our tour company. From check in to check out we enjoyed our stay. Rooms were good. Wife said the gym was great. Great service throughout hotel, especially in the restaurant. They couldn't do enough for you. Location is a bit out of town center but very near a lake and many nice walking areas. The breakfast buffet was outstanding it may have been the best breackfast of our 6 1/2 week, 6 country, 15 hotel Southeast Asia trip. Wi Fi at times was a bit dodgey but doable. If returning to Yangon, we would definitely stay again.

Great breakfast, good service and nice spacious rooms. Excellent food. Cleanliness were ensured in our rooms and throughout the whole hotel. Warm, friendly and helpful staff. Great stay. Very efficient, easy to manage hotel, suitable for business people and families. Great breakfast, good service and pleasant rooms. The staff are very attentive and helpful. We had some problems with our air conditioner, but every effort was made to repair it.

I am traveling on business trip multiple times to Yangon, and always long stay in Best Western Green Hill Hotel. Because I found that this hotel is very convenience to me like a home. The staffs are very good, friendly and helpful. Personally, I really appreciated their services and kindness.

This is a beautiful and elegant hotel near Inya lake . The rooms were spacious and bathroom were good. The housekeeping staff made sure that cleanliness and hygiene maintained at all time. Breakfast was amazing , food was fresh and hot , both asian and western choices. The food and cocktails served otherwise was also excellent. Every member of the staff were cordial and helpful . All in all will recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay.

Internet connections were an impediment to my business. It was spotty most of the time, with a few period of stability. Their bandwidth per room was limiting and if the number of guests was high, it did not work. Management knows and they are trying to fix it.

First of all, you need to tamper your expectations for hotels in Yangon. In that context, BW Yangon Greenhill is great value for money. For the less than USD 100 net I paid per night, Hotel décor is acceptable but great staff. A case in point, although I don't stay much at BW, staff remembered my birthday with a cake. Breakfast and internet work well. If you expect much more for a hotel, then be willing to pay much more in Yangon. If your expectations are in place, this is a great value for money proposition. I would add that (personally) based on location, room size and hotel décor, BW Green Hill is much preferred over the BW Chinatown.

I went to Rangoon for a business trip last week and stayed at this hotel. At first I didn't really expect anything from my stay in the city, as it was my first trip ever there, and I hadn't known so much about Rangoon. But I could definitely say that this hotel offered more than what I could had expected. The service was excellent, the staff were really friendly and helpful, the room was clean and neat (although the interior looked kinda 'classic', like an old hotel, but perhaps this hotel was indeed an old hotel idk), and the bathroom were nice. There were, however, a few things I didn't really like of the bathroom. Firstly, the shower wasn't really well-positioned, the shower holder was placed so high that you had to hold the shower by hand every time you wanted it lower. Secondly, the water was quite hard to control, sometimes it just got hotter, and sometimes colder. Thirdly, the bathtub cover was a little bit short as compared to the length of the bathtub. But I think those were still tolerable, and they'd made up with nice amenities:) The bed was comfy, and I loved the quilt! The lighting of the room was a bit off for me though. The breakfast was my most favorite part of the stay. They basically offered quite a wide range of food, and during my stay there (4 nights), they changed the dishes everyday. They had various types of bread too. Only that the restaurant wasn't really huge so it was really packed when a lot of guests were having breakfast at the same time. I'm not so sure about the location, as I haven't got to know Rangoon so well, but I think it's not bad, as I got to reach some places in a relatively short time period. Overall, I'd recommend this hotel to my colleagues and friends, and I'd gladly come back next time.

this is 2nd time staying at GH hotel. spent 7days and couldn't extend further as it is fully booked on the day we missed the flight. would it be great if the hotel has spare a room so we don't have to move to other hotel :( Staffs are friendly and attentive but the old staffs are even friendlier and better in English ( heard they're transferred to Chinatown branch ). The Wifi connection is dramatically slower compared to our first visit. I couldn't even load a page; the near-by hotels have better Wifi connection. By looking at the F&B menu, I think the hotel's target market has changed. Should have add more authentic Burmese cuisine to the menu for the sake of locals. we missed the Burmese food we had in GreenHill last time. Food for thought: people choose GreenHill hotel due to tranquility. I hope the hotel does not work with tours agency and brought in the noisy travelers. I would never visit again if the hotel's culture has changed to that of ByokeSky Bkk

My husband and I are staying here and have had a great experience so far. We arrived in the early hours of the morning (5 am!!!!) and were instantly impressed with the staff who brought us coffee while they prepared a room for us. Though we had to wait for three hours we were made comfortable in their waiting area. As with a lot of Yangon, much of the English language skills of the staff are lacking but they are so friendly and try very hard to make your stay enjoyable. One of the concierge, William, has been a big help in helping us plan our trip and I have been very impressed with his efforts. The room is clean and nicely laid out with good proximity to some of the local sights.

Stayed for a week for business. Two things most memorable was the English standard of the staff - unable to understand most of what was conveyed through the phone with the receptionist and took wrong orders at the restaurant - and the cleanliness of the room. After leaving Myanmar, I realised that I had three consecutive bites on my forearm, which seemed to either be bedbug bites or spider bites.

Good hotel in convenient location near lake and not far from main pagoda. Decent size rooms, very friendly staff, nice restaurant, good conference facilities. Pleasant foyer and a friendly welcome with cold drink. Getting taxis easy. Hotel provides free shuttle to market and pagoda.

Located in a quiet, serene place. Breakfast spread was good and rooms were spacious. Choose a higher floor for better view. Reception staff was friendly and environment was business friendly. If you want to shy away from downtown area, this is the place to be.

I liked the hotel ambience in its category. Rooms were clean and view was good.reception was welcoming. The breakfast needs some innovation as it is same everyday. Room service was okay. Taxi and bell boy service was remarkable.

The facilities are up to and beyond standard. Appreciated the variety at the breakfast buffet to ease myself into the country as well as the breakfast boxes available for early morning checkouts. Also, the staff were friendly, personable, and so helpful. It might have been a fluke, but I got what looks like a spider bite each of the first two nights I stayed in the hotel when I landed, but not when I stayed before departing the country.

I was expecting a 1 star experience but I was happily surprised. The room was spacious and had the feeling of a four star hotel. The lobby was inviting with the employees extremely attentive and helpful. Our room was ready for us and extremely clean. We were on the 4th floor and received a little noise from the house below our window in the middle of the night, but nothing prolonged. I would suggest asking for an upper floor. We ate the breakfast buffet which was very good and plenty of variety. Not much for an American pallet but I don't get much of that in Asia anyway. Overall a very nice experience.

Best Western Green Hill Hotel is probably the best value hotel in Yangon when you consider what you get for what you pay. PROs: Clean, modern rooms. Excellent but not extravagant breakfast. Convenient location. CONs: Your clothes will smell food after having breakfast. No swimming pool (if you need one). TIP: Paying a little more for executive rooms is worth it. Ask for pagoda view room.

I stayed here on two separate occasions. The rooms are very nice, and were very clean. The beds are very comfortable. My first stay was on the 7th floor and I had a gorgeous view of a Pagoda. The windows were well insulated so little noise made it in from outside, so a nice quiet sleep is possible. The staff were very accommodating, especially after I became very sick the night before check out, they made sure I didn't feel rushed out of my room. Very friendly staff. The restaurant has a fantastic buffet breakfast with so many choices. The best part, was the hot water after a week in hotels with no hot water, it felt so good to take a hot shower. I was very happy to stay here and will return next time I'm in Yangon.

It was my first trip to MM, and I was not sure what to expect. Would staff speak English, would they understand needs of a business traveler. All my doubts and concerns were immediately put to shame. The service level was amongst the highest I have experienced in my 10 years living in the region. The hotel is placed relaltively centrally, but outside the main CBD where traffic is totally congested. This is a very well placed hotel if going to the Yangon Park for exhibitions. An added bouns is its proximity to the lake which makes a great morning walk/run. In the evening a walk to the Shwe Dagon is also possible even though Yangon is not really a "walking city"

First stay @ Nov 2015, Book 2 rooms, requested connecting room. Problematic. 1st Issue one room (at 4th floor) with guest still in. Went in the room. His bag, clothes still in the room, his notes too. Base on the name on the note book. It is a western Male. Call reception. They said issue us the wrong room. They do not even know whether the room still have guest or not? Then change another room at 7th floor. 2nd issue come in. Interconnecting door lock spoit. In the end they whack open the lock. As tomorrow, we need to catch morning flight, we ask the hotel to prepare breakfast box. They provide us bottle of water. Ask the reception, can bottle of water able to check in. They reply no problem. Reach airport, cannot pass through the security, need to throw away all the new seal bottle of water. So wasted. On 3rd Dec, we return on the same hotel after our round trip. Our hotel coupon stated 2 rooms (connecting), the reception provided us 2 room side by side. Really darm piss off, We has mentioned and stated in the coupon, connecting room, connecting room. Which part they do not understand. Then have to spend extra 5-10 min for them to search for a connecting room. Room is clean Internet depend on your luck. Not constant. Internet at restaurant is fast. No sure it is why lot of people using phone during their breakfast. Breakfast .. okay.. not bad. Overall is good except that check in part. which I rate poor.

This hotel is good in friendly staff, relatively big and fair enough room in the midrange price. I like enjoying different local noodles at buffet breakfast. Wifi speed has been improved since the first time I stayed here a few years ago. Access is not so far from shwedagon pagoda as well as city center. It would be a good option to stay for business and travelers. You need to consider it would take sometime an hour to go to the airport from the hotel.

Excellent rooms well equipped, only WiFi shaky - like in the whole country. Very pleasant and helpful personal, very competent management, tries to fix all complaints to please the visitor. Recommanded for all business visitors and couples, not so much for children. Good location, Kitchen ok.

This hotel was up a steep driveway. There was a man on duty directing taxis, cars that were entering, cars that were leaving, etc. We were warmly received by the desk and then were pleased with our room which was large with excellent bed and also the breakfast room. When we decided to take a walk, an employee came running afterwards to ask if we really were going to walk and did we need an umbrella. It was half a block from a lake. We were there for four nights at the beginning of our trip and afterwards decided it was one of the nicest of our six week trip.

big rooms with new modern furnitures, new, wide and breathable but do not have good view. They have underground car parking, not bad. Service is quite good, if you want better don't forget to give tips to parking staffs and porters.

This was my third stay at this BW hotel; each time 4-5 days in a row. Very friendly concierge, front desk and housekeeping. Paid attention to details. Remembered my personal needs. Although a distance away from the city centre, one could hail a cab easily. Check-in was smooth. My favourite was the Myanmar Prawn Curry with rice at the ground floor café. It was delicious. Morning breakfast came with a generous Asian spread; but not fully comparable with Continental breakfast. Wished the wifi strength could be improved, but I guess this has to do with the incoming telco bandwith. Twice, I had experienced short power failure; the backup generator kicked-in quickly. The common corridors should have better lighting and improved ventilation (kinda of smells). Not much of a window view. I appreciate the simple comfort and privacy this hotel could give. If one likes a quiet hotel and affordable, this is it. Highly recommended to business regulars.

Was impressed with the service level - starting from check in, to the restaurants to check out. The key was ready by the time I reached for check in around 1:00 pm. The size of the room was pretty big, though it did not have a great view. Amenities were of the standard you would expect in a good quality business hotel. Internet quality was good, but the wifi link was frequently lost and one had to log in again and again. This was an irritation that a good business hotel should avoid at all cost.

Only across the street of one of the most expensive hotels in town, THE BEST WESTERN has no complex, to provide extraordinary service, reliable comfort for very very economic price for the local standards.

The hotel is located quite a distance from the town, but its very near to the Kandawgi Lake. There were no 7-11 convenience store around. Generally hotel staff are friendly and check in was easy. Hotel room were clean and tidy, but the lighting could be better. Sleep quality was quite good. Breakfast came with a huge spread and it even have sushi served!

Room ; clean and new ( I guess , they have just been renovated) There is a temple behind the hotel so you will hear the pray every early morning. Breakfast ; international breakfast. Fried noodles tasted very good. Wi-Fi; only 3 euqipments can be logged in at the same time.

We took 2 rooms. Good service was rendered to us. Rooms were clean, spacious and wonderful with a nice view of the Shewdagon pagoda which is about 10 minutes away. Nice beds to sleep in and rooms were quiet too. Hotel staff extremely nice and warm and they went out of their way to help us. Hotel food was good and we had many great meals there. Full amenities and free wifi with very fast internet connection. There's also a fully equipped gym too. Taxis were easily available to and from the hotel with a massage centre within walking distance. Everything was to our satisfaction. Well done! Will definitely come back again.

We paid $145 each room per night. Dining room menus priced in U.S. $. Ice available delivered to the room for $1 Nice friendly staff. Very small refrigerator in room. Excellent safe in the closet. Breakfast had wide variety but stick with eggs made to order and the fresh fruit. The plumbing fixtures in the bathroom were loose, but it was the same thought Myanmar. Rooms were a decent size with small sitting space and a computer table. Wifi was good when it world. But I had to reboot fairly often. Generator kicks in quickly when hotel loses power. If I were to return, I'd comparison shop by price before I stayed here again. Decent shower but handheld. Hot water never a problem.

The place to stay . All friendly and very helpful staff. Good decoration.Our first time to Yangon and this hotel make us feel like a home . Thai food in the restaurant are taste very well and better than out side we can enjoyed the dinner at the hotel.

Stayed here for a couple of nights, visiting Yangon on my own for a weekend. Staff were attentive and helpful, always quick to help me get taxis and so on. Room was a good size, clean and comfortable. Nothing swanky, but perfectly adequate. Excellent breakfast buffet. Some distance from the city centre, but there are a few things to see and do within walking distance, and cabs are reliable and cheap in Yangon. Would stay here again.
