Best Western City Hotel Woerden

Terrible hotel with even worse customer service. They gave us a room next to the lobby and also connecting the street. There was so much noise, especially since they decided to have parties in the lobby 2 nights in a row. The bar should have been open until 1 but apparently that was just a guideline and they stayed open for how ever long they wanted, serving alcohol to the partying teens that all weren't even staying in the hotel. If you have guest staying in rooms connecting the lobby and bar, it's just human decency to stop the partying after 1 o'clock at night. People come to have a nice rest, not to listen to screaming and drunk teens. Filed a complaint but the manager didn't take us serious at all, telling us they get a lot of complaints like this, but we used the facilities of his hotel so what was there to complain? We stayed for 2 nights and slept only a couple hours. Never again, don't recommend this hotel or it's staff at all!

Mid size hotel, good Reception, bar food optional, good and wide assortment breakfast. Room and bed : fine Parking nearby can become a challenge when you plan late arrival. Walking distance to the city 10 minutes. Diner options nearby , yes, e.g. Chinese restaurant

Superior room but interieur was minimum. Long empty wall, sofa along it but tv on same side. Simple desk, one small window, very nice comfortable bed. Plenty lights, bathroom with walk-in shower was good, clean and complete. Good breakfast in pleasant restaurant. Parking available for payment but outside also free space to find. Walking distance to shops and restaurants 12 minutes.

Highly recommend best western woerden. A charming town about 30 minutes from The Hague and Rotterdam and 40 from Amsterdam. Much better value than in big cities and good transport available. Woerden is a very pretty town surrounded by moat. Nice to spend an afternoon. Hotel is comfortable and clean. Ask for room on canal side. Highly recommend!

Great location near the station but only a 10 minute walk into town. Room was on the small side. Similar to a Travelodge. We tried to swap from ground floor but no rooms available apparently. Breakfast was nice but the breakfast room felt small and cramped.

We've stayed here before and love the hotel and it's location. Staff are really helpful. Our room faced the road this time but it was quiet. Bed really comfy and plenty of hot water. All very clean. Breakfast is good and the bar prices very good. Parking for our bikes in the garage. Definitely on the recommend list

We spent one night in the Best Western hotel in Woerden, The Netherlands. The property is located next to a lovely canal, just minutes away from a beautiful parc and the city center. The room was big, well furnished and rather clean (the vacuum cleaner did not reach the space under the bed - mentioned it at check-out). The bed was super comfortable. The COVID protocol was clearly explained to us, and we felt that hygiene and safety were taken seriously. Breakfast was served at the table: no buffet. The personnel was very nice and helpful. Be aware that parking a car is tricky: the garage does not offer many parking spaces. We'll come back to this property with pleasure.

Best Western Woerden is up to the usual Best Western standard. Its close to the train station and a 5 min walk to the centre of Woerden. Rooms are basic, but very comfy beds, very clean and some rooms have a canal view. It has a small restaurant and Bar area . It lacks a bit of atmosphere but its good for a 1 or 2 night stay.

What a fabulous hotel. Staff were lovely and helpful. There was parking for our bikes in the garage, so they were secure. Our room was spotless overlooking the canal. Walk into town about 10 minutes and lots to do there lots of shops, bars and restaurants. We came back to the hotel bar for a drink in the evening and found the prices of drinks really good. Breakfast was good and plentiful. We would come back and stay here and would definitely recommend

The hotel is modern and is divided into 2 buildings. The rooms are modern and provide standard comfort such as air condition. The rooms are small but ok. The hotel is located close to the city center and only 5 walking minutes away from railway station. Next to the hotel there is a water channel which makes hotel stay a bit feeling like holiday. Car park is available. The lobby area of hotel is combined with the bar service. All in all for recommendation.

Great for an overnight stay en route to a meeting. Pleasant bar area, good breakfast, comfortable bed and excellent shower! The rooms are well equipped and the staff are friendly. No problems with check-in despite a very late arrival time.

conveniently located 5 minute walk from the town centre. and next door to a Chinese restaurant and takeaway. the hotel rooms are on the small side but they are decorated well. the breakfast unfortunately didn't have much variety staff were very friendly and helpful.

Nice stay her on a bike tour. Hotel was modern, clean and comfortable, Our bike tour company lost our luggage - the hotel checkin person help track down the bag and kept us informed on the situation. She was excellent. Would stay here again.

The hotel is comfortable, clean spacious and modern. In a lovely area overlooking the canal, in a quiet neighbourhood. It's only a 5 minute walk from the train station and 10 min walk to the centre. Staff are lovely. Parking is available on site as well as easily on the street. Would recommend it to families.

The hotel is located very close to the city center. Also our room was right by the small Rhein river. In the past it was the border division between the Roman Empire and the “barbarians! All in nice atmosphere and great breakfast.

Myself and 2 of my co workers spent 11 Nights at this hotel. The staff was wonderful. Made the trip being away from my home very fun. Very professional in every aspect, from the front desk to the bar. I will make sure as that our Company books nights there for the employees from all around the globe stays there. Inga and Lisa while we were there, spent time as when they were free to explain were to site see. It was highly appreciated in the time that was spent on us. Could never repay them unless they come to the States. ( One Week ) My opinion, great place because of the employees.

The Best Western in Woerden has everything you need from hospitality, location and cleanliness. This hotel is very trendy from the decor to the young hip friendly staff. Everything is a hop skip and a bike ride away. Woerden is a cozy town with rich history and beautiful scenery." I love it!" Just being a good pair of walking shoes.

A nice hotel. Basic breakfast. We had to remind them to empty the trash bins but other than that a nice place to stay and a good location for trips in the area. Close to the train station and the city center

We were travelling as a group of three cyclists. This hotel clearly had experience of cycling groups as they accommodated our bikes in the underground garage where there were also points for charging electric bikes. Located by the canal, my room had a view over the canal. Hotel is very modern, rooms a good size and well-equipped. Staff very friendly - breakfast was very good. Good location - short walk into town. There is a lift to the higher floors. Highly recommended.

Spent two nights in Woerden using the oportunity to explore the area. Hotel is well situated next tot the canal and only a short walk from the town centre. Very friendly staff and well equiped rooms, great breakfast and the coffee is free up to 12h00. Liked the setting and the tranquility yet being within walking distance tot he town and many restaurants in the area.

We stayed here twice. The first time was in the building across from the from office (first floor). This was a very quiet room with a nice view. We could open the window and enjoy the nice weather. The second stay was in a room down the hall from the front desk. We could hear everything going on in the lobby and people coming up and down the stairs. Also, the windows were street level, so opening the window wasn't possible. Both rooms were very clean and well stocked with coffee and tea. Very helpful front desk staff. The walk to shopping and restaurants was only about five minutes. Parking is free on the street (if you are lucky enough to find a spot) or you can pay 7 Eros per day to park in their underground garage. We parked on the street. I would stay here again, but definitely request the separate building.

We got a good deal for a 3 night stay. Service was oke, but after one day, they forgot to clean our room, so we found our room untidy without cleaning the trash. They completely forgot! This was mentioned at the desk, but they could not do much anymore except clean towels. Otherwise service was good and because we left very early every morning they prepared a breakfast to take along which was good. So the overall experience was positive.

I have visited the hotel and find the following: I had a room on the second floor... Yes a lift is available but to access to the room you need to steps some stairs. The room was not smelling very nice. The room and the hotel was clean and representative to the photo.

Stayed her for a football tournament and have been here 4 times Even though it was a decent hotel before ,it was very tired and need TLC Now it's immaculate and been refurbished to a very high standard The staff were great as was the room and the food Lovely views from the rooms and we even got to see a hot air balloon take off Woerden is a lovely place with people to match 10/10

I was stranded in the area and found the hotel on BW.com, as I am a Platinum Member. The price was the most reasonable within the greater Utrecht area, and the hotel is pretty new. If you have limited mobility, ask for a room on the first floor. The configuration of the hotel is a bit unique, I had to go up and down stairs to get to my room, but, other than that, it was great. I was upgraded to a family room. I received the upgrade because I'm Platinum but, in all honesty, I don't know if would have upgraded me if I hadn't made it a point to mention that they should, as per BW policy. Nevertheless, they did it without hesitation, and the room was lovely, with an extra bed that I assume is also a couch (it was extended, so I didn't see it upright). The bathtub is very comfortable, and there's a separate shower. My lone complaint is that they have the immovable all-in-one shampoo/body wash, with no conditioner. I asked staff for misc items, and they provided them all. I didn't use the restaurant or bar, but the bar looks fresh and open. The Woerden train station is 4 minutes away by foot. Lovely hotel. Nice and tidy and quiet. Slightly odd arrangement with having to step out of the hotel and go across a yard to get to my room but no real issue apart from it was winter and freezing. The staff were very friendly and welcoming as I was visiting on my own so a solitary beer at the bar was had but the receptionist/barman was friendly. The only food i had was breakfast and it was very nice, was a massive fan of the bacon and it was all great value for money. Will be due another business trip soon so will certainly be staying here on my next visit

Very recently refurbished hotel. Some very minor teething problems which is remarkable since they only reopened 2 months ago. Rooms are not large but adequate. Safe in the room. Excellent bed. Well equipped bathroom. Very friendly staff. Superior breakfast: among best you can find anywhere. It has no pretentious to be a 4 or 5 star hotel but it's a top class 3 star place. Top notch!

The BW is like one big family , enjoyed so much with grand opening party , comfy rooms , delight meals , and the crew is most welcoming , enjoy to talk with , and they took care of us , feels like family around you , Hope to come back again Thanks so much

Still starting up. Decent, but not having a full kitchen yet. Also the air-conditioning is a bit noisy. No fitness room, nice rooms... Good hotel, fit for it my travel purpose. Close to the city centre, free parking on street with a few paid hotel parking spots.

I use to stay in this hotel in Woerden, this time they just reopened after 1 year to make all new. I must say they have done a great job. Bed was very comfortable, room well organised, staff very friendly.
