    « Good choice! »

Having stayed in Williams before, decided to try a different motel. The rate we got at Best Western was reasonable for the accommodation we got, so not disappointed! The motel is just out of the main part of town, and although walking down is possible, easier if you have a car. We chose this motel - apart from the rates offered - because it had a pool and a restaurant on site. Pool was clean - and warm enough! For a motel, dining in the restaurant is not cheap, but as quality of food an service was excellent, not a problem! Breakfast was the 'usual' motel style fare - ok, but have had better elsewhere.

« Fine stay close to Grand Canyon »

The appearance of the place was a lot better than I expected. The staff was very helpful and service is quick. The room was comfortable and the breakfast buffet had a good variety of selections. However, the quality of food for dinner was not good. The good thing is the hotel is only 5min from downtown Williams where there are so many restaurants and shops. Very convenient

« Great place to stay South of the Canyon off I40 »

Very easy stop off of I40, also an easy drive down from the Canyon. Very clean and comfortable hotel, quick check in and out. Don't miss Kicks on 66 for dinner just next door, you will be pleasantly surprised!

    « A Relaxing Stay. »

This is a great place to stay while you take in the sights and sounds of Williams AZ. The staff were very friendly, the place was spotless, the mattress was very comfortable, and free breakfast was the best that I have experienced. We are looking forward to staying here on our next visit to Williams AZ. To the staff at the Best Western, thank you for a great stay.

« A gem of a hotel - roomy, comfortable, good food and service. »

We dropped in without a reservation and were so surprised at the quality of this little gem in Williams. Having noticed that Best Western Plus were popping up along the roadsides for the Western US, we decided to give this place a try. The front desk staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Our room and the common areas were clean and well maintained. Our room was surprising in size and amenities. Even great food and service in the hotel dining room and an exceptional breakfast was included. Easy access to the highway and gas station. Highly recommend.

« Really, Really Nice Place to Stay »

This was hands down, the nicest of the Best Westerns that we have stayed in anywhere. (We currently tend to stay at Best Westerns if they are available in the areas we travel to, so this means that this is also the nicest hotel that we have been in for a long time.) The feel of this place is more like a lodge than a hotel according to my bride and she's right. There is an excellent restaurant on site. There is also a lounge and live entertainment. We had a couple of really nice meals in the "Western View Steakhouse" and then I spent a couple of very pleasurable evenings sipping wine and listening to the music... all about 50' from our room. The breakfast also was the best of our trip. It is held in the restaurant area so there is plenty of room and the food was the best of the trip too. Downsides were in the room itself. It had no overhead light fixtures and the usual "dim-bulbs" in the wall and floor fixtures. In addition, it was equipped with the now nearly ubiquitous "Blast Furnace" A/C unit with no "low fan" function for ventilation and noise masking, and which make enough noise to wake the dead when they come on only to shut off again 30 seconds later. Fortunately, the weather was nice enough to leave the AC off. If not for these two things, this would be a five-star rated place for us. Another small but important to me plus is that they make USA Today available for free.

    « A cozy night in Williams »

I've had low expectations of motels in the US, however this was pleasant and cozy and left a really warm impression on me and my family. The staff were friendly, answering trivial questions we had about the area, and the hotel setup was just friendly. Rooms were clean, facilities included washing machines, and the location was well situated for a family wanting to spot a bit of Route 66 before heading off to the Grand Canyon.

    5
« Best Western Williams - Great Hotel »

We recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Williams. The facilities were clean, the location was great and in our opinion the best rate for what you get. The breakfast and dining room were both wonderful and relaxing in the hot tub at the end of a long day was amazing.

« Best Western provides "The Extra Touch" »

My wife and I have spent hundreds, if not thousands, of nights in hotels and motels. The Best Western in Williams, AZ is the finest Best Western we have ever stayed at and one of the finest hotels/motels of any brand we have stayed at. The staff was extremely cordial and helpful and a family atmosphere seemed to exist among the staff. Many extras, like fantastic restaurant, real plates and dinnerware for complimentary breakfast, etc.

« The Best Western was the best place to stay »

After staying at a Best Western on our trip in Arizona, we decided to stay only the a Best Western because of the great rooms, service and breakfast for a reasonable cost. The rooms were large, with comfortable beds TV and WiFi service. The location of the facilities was always in a convenient location as far as access.

« Perfectly acceptable, but unremarkable »

Used Williams as base camp for heading to the Grand Canyon the next day. The hotel is clean, reasonably well appointed and offers a decent restaurant for dinner. Although nothing special, it's a fair value and I would use it again if staying in the area. The hotel is located just outside the town of Williams, a charming place that you should explore for bars and restaurants.

« Nice Hotel in the Beautiful Pines »

Only spent one night here. The hotel is old and dated, but very clean. Staff was friendly, check-in and check-out were quick and hassle free. Rooms, again, were dated but clean with all the basic amenities. Beds & pillows were comfortable. Bathroom was a little tight, but it worked. Breakfast was included with the room and the variety offered was a nice surprise. Plenty of options and you could even get gluten free options on request, a plus for one of my daughters who cannot have gluten. Ample parking and easy access.

« Great hotel great location »

Stayed here two nights while visiting the Grand Canyon. It's one exit away from the main strip in Williams, and it's in a really beautiful wooded area. The room was very nice, and the bed was comfortable. My one very minor complaint would be that The TV was a little small and got some poor reception on a lot of the channels. The breakfast was top notch, they had eggs, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, and a breakfast meat. They also had toast, oatmeal, yogurt, and various pastries. Basically anything you could want for breakfast. Would highly recommend this place again.

« Best of the Best Westerns »

This hotel is located in a beautiful setting in Williams Arizona. This is a great place to stay if your going to the Grand Canyon. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The staff are professionally dressed, friendly and always helpful. A new elevator has been installed along with new locks on the outside doors which provide for great security. The breakfast is at the top of the list for Best Western. Presented well, with a good variety of breakfast items. The on sight restaurant is nice, with a great Margarita, although a bit expensive for our needs. We did try the Mexiican food. It was ok, just not up to what we are accustomed to living close to the border.

    5
« great stay in a great American town »

We were pleased with our stay in Williams. The staff was exceptionally helpful in giving us local information about Williams and area. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. Easy access to rooms. On route 66! which is kind of fun. We'd stay here again.

    5
« Nice room, not well lit »

I had a great room which was very spacious. Two closets, two person couch facing the TV, big comfortable king size bed. I like a little noise to drown out outside noises so I like a heater/air conditioner with a fan that works all of the time. This one did not. I had to get my fan out of the car. I was also disappointed to find that there were not enough electrical outlets for the modern traveler. One outlet had a ground plug stem broken off in the outlet. Clean, great staff, wonderful breakfast with the first ever pancake machine I have ever seen. I had supper here because I didn't feel like searching around Williams for a restaurant. To me it was just a tad pricey, but the food was good. Salad, salmon, mashed potatoes, green beans, and coffee came to just under $33. But it was better than searching for a place to eat.

« Great hotel with a homey feel! »

We stayed 3 nights at the Best Western in Williams, AZ 10/22, 23, 24. The property is well maintained and we had a nice room on the 3rd floor looking out onto the pool. Other reviewers had mentioned that the room could use updating but we thought it was nice and was very clean. The second night of our visit a large tourist group arrived and the restaurant and bar were flooded with people. We were having a drink in the bar and the bartender was running between the bar and the restaurant to help everyone get waited on. Even though they were understaffed and facing a huge crowd, the staff never became rude or short with anyone. They were extremely nice and pleasant to all of the customers that evening. I was impressed! We had dinner in the Western View Steakhouse our last night and it was very good. Loved the cozy, warm and intimate feel of this Best Western.

« Close enough to the Grand Canyon »

After a long drive from Palm Desert, we decided to check in here for a couple nights. Our plan was to see the Grand Canyon the next day and this place was about an hour from there. It deserves a renovation, given its location and high occupancy rate. There was a breakfast that was included, nothing fancy, but adequate. If we ever stayed in Williams again, I would most likely go a few more miles up Route 66 into town to a newer place. Being within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants is very appealing.

« Discovery Inn - Best Western- Williams, AZ »

This was a very nice and quiet place to spend the night. The interior and exterior were well maintained even though we were informed that the motel is due for a renovation. The hallways were wide which added to the overall impression of quality. Our room was very nice with a comfortable bed and plenty of space though the furniture could have been arranged in a more logical manner. The desk between the beds did not work for us. The Continental Breakfast was far more than the name implied. Plates, cups, saucers, and stainless tableware were the standard. The selection and presentation of the breakfast items were among the top 10% that we have experience in our travels around the United States.

« Great Grand Canyon hotel »

Really good hotel and you can't beat the price. It was an hour drive to the Grand Canyon entrance. Totally encourage you to stay here. Breakfast is good and wifi is easy to connect to. The faucet didn't totally work but wasn't bad enough to make me want to change rooms. Great for budget travelers and friendly staff

« Perhaps the Best in Williams but Disappointing »

A plus for being on the outskirts of Williams and the secluded, quiet location. Rooms are average but the noise is awful. I requested a quiet room and I could still hear the entertainer in the bar....until he quit playing. Noise from the hallway and adjacent rooms was also awful. I accepted the guest noise but asked to be moved as far away from the bar as possible. Nothing available. Food in the restaurant was surprisingly good but expensive. Despite the high price, the food was better than anything I have had in previous visits to Williams. Front desk service was NOT GOOD - either at check in or check out. Rooms are way over-priced in my opinion ($160 and almost $200 with taxes and fees). Perhaps a fair value at $80. Although I do no like the properties in the heart of Williams, they are a better choice because of cost, service and better quality sleep. However, if I have the time in the future, I will stay in Flagstaff instead. Better choices and better properties.

« Great service and great rooms. »

Very good service at the front desk and breakfast area, good selection of breakfast items to choose from, very nice and comfortable beds/pillows, clean location and very quiet. Nice fireplace in the lobby and lounge act singing were very nice touches, also an outdoor fire pit was very nice. Didn't get a chance to check out pool because of the weather. Enjoyed a restful relaxing stay here and would definitely visit here again.

    « Beautiful Hotel »

Loved this hotel - beautiful setting, clean and wonderful staff and ambiance. Will definitely come back. My only regret is that we only stayed one night because we were headed home the next day. By far my favorite hotel of the 11 we stayed at on our trip!!!

    5
    « Excellent Hotel »

We were here for 2 nights. Great hotel, great location. Staff friendly and rooms well appointed. Comfortable and quiet with a great restaurant on site for dinner and the excellent complimentary breakfast. Will stay here again

    « Grand Canyon Visit »

Good location, good food close by, clean hotel, friendly staff. Pillows were more firm than we like. We stayed with another couple who also thought this was a nice place to stay. The continental breakfast was delicious with a greater selection of items than others places we stayed while traveling this summer/

    4
    « nice little hotel »

Had a good time at this hotel and town. Room was functional with comfortable bed. Front desk was accommodating and helpful with a couple of inquiries. Hot tub was great for this time of year. Music in the evening was a nice touch. Only negatives was they didn't get espn so I couldn't get monday night football and a occasional barking dog early in the am.

    5
« Best Western Plus Williams »

This was a beautiful, comfortable, relaxing place to stay. I would readily stay in this hotel again. It is a quiet, sort of secluded atmosphere but still located very close to the center of Williams and the Grand Canyon Railway.

    4
« Great Location in the woods »

This location is convenient to Grand Canyon and a short drive into historic Williams. Clean, friendly staff and the addition of a do it yourself breakfast is nice with a significant series of options. This is the second visit in 6 months and would visit again.

    5
« Great place to stay »

Nice, clean and comfortable hotel. A distance from Route 66 and he centre of Williams but this is offset by the friendly staff and clean and comfortable hotel. Restaurant and food is extremely good both for food and value for money. Unable to compare with other hotels in the area but think this would one of the best.

« Best Lodging Choice Near the Canyon »

Wonderful lodging option just off I-40 near the Grand Canyon National Park, featuring a top-notch restaurant, comfortable rooms, and a wonderful entertainer named Omar in the lounge. Check it out. You won't be sorry.

« Gateway to Grand Canyon »

We just wanted a hotel close to Sedona and the Canyon for a night. The room was very nice and clean. The lobby area was beautiful with an inviting fireplace. Beautiful dining area with an outstanding breakfast. There was even an outside dining area with heaters if needed. The nostalgia of Route 66 in Williams was a throwback to the '60's which I really enjoyed.

    5
« Great stopped after a long day of Grand Canyon adventures. »

Excellent room with comfortable bed. Shower was good. Went to the lounge for drinks and to watch baseball. Ended up ordering dinner any having it delivered to the lounge. Bartender was good and friendly. Dinner left a little to be desired but it was nice not to leave the hotel. The free breakfast was one of the best free breakfasts I've had. I would definitely stay again but stick with soup and salad for dinner. I did have my dog and the pet area was large and accommodating.

« Best hotel in Williams »

We have stayed in several hotels in Williams, and this is the best. The setting can't be beat, it's up in the pines, and we enjoyed viewing a lovely sunset from the large outdoor spa. The rooms are very tastefully appointed, and the whole hotel is decorated in a southwestern theme. Rooms were clean and roomy, and the breakfast was outstanding. Even though the hotel seemed full it was very quiet at night. Staff were friendly and attentive. We did not eat at the restaurant, so can't say much about that. There was live music in the evenings at the restaurant, but it did not bother us in the least.

« Great Value, lovely setting »

Best Western outdid themselves with this hotel. The setting is beautiful, on hill overlooking the mountains and forest. The lobby small but inviting with a small fire leading you to the bar and resteraunt. Both are adequate, the bar with local craft brew on tap and local Indian art on display. The resteraunt is not reliably great, good and some excellent dishes. But not very original, with some real misses. The French onion soup was great, but the vegetable beef mediocre. Service attentive if not expert with young locals working hard. Breakfast was buffet, well rounded, with a yogurt machine that was fun. Pool and spa were clean, heated, firm spa jets, and comfortable chaises. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable beds. Excellent maid service, fluffy towels. Two concerns. Gym was ignored for cleaning, dirty towels in bin for 3 days, half cup coffee there for who knows how long and dying plants. Like it was forgotten. When staff alerted, they brought fresh towels and emptied bin. Hope they pay more attention as the rest of hotel was great. Other concern was the entertainment. Guy was nice, trying to channel either Stevie Ray or Johnny Cash. Music was loud and he was not very good. We were upstairs and close to lobby, so had to turn up TV to attempt to drown him out. Maybe turn him down a bit for those not into live (bad) music? Thank you Christine for your attention and referral to Canyon Dave's tours. Was amazing! Highly recommend both!

    « Williams »

Great place to relax and enjoy northern AZ. Good service from the staff. The area is loaded with good restaurants and brew pubs. Gateway to the Grand Canyon and lots cheaper than stating outside the park .

« Pleasure Trip With Friends »

Even though our travel plans included somewhat long side trips to Sedona, Jerome, and Flagstaff, we decided to stay at the Best Western Plus in Williams, AZ. Sure, this hotel is a bit of a distance from those other sites, but I don't know where we could have gotten this service for this very reasonable price. Free parking, free breakfast, free wifi, in-room sitting room, heated pool, and more. And then there is the terrific guitarist in the lounge signing old favorites to request. Don't miss him. A fine way to end the day in the lounge listening to soft music. We will be back.

« nicely situated in the woods »

The Hotel obviously is rather old with shaky power outlets and wify. When entering the room the first time it smelled muggy. The smell seem to come from the A/C. With the windows open for a while and after one night the smell fainted away. The shower head was old and didn´t work well. The sink was unusual low. The beds were very comfy, A plus is the location in the woods off the highway. Lobby and breakfast room were nicely decorated and the breakfast buffet offered a good choice. Another plus is the very friendly staff. So overall a nice place to stay for the south rim. Downtown with Route 66 shops is worth a visit.

    5
    « Grand Canyon Stay »

This is an excellent Best Western Plus with very professional staff. The location is well off the main exit which helps shield any interstate noise. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, especially the beds.

    5
« Great Hotel for Route 66, Williams and Grand Canyon »

Stayed for 3 nights while visiting Grand Canyon South Rim and driving some of old Route 66. This place is excellent value, great location on edge of Williams, easy to find, good clean facilities, staff were excellent and helpful. Evening restaurant food was superb.

    5
« Wonderful place to stay »

We made reservations at Comfort Inn in Williams which was suppose to be dog friendly. HA! we arrived there and were told they did not accept pets of any kind. The person on the desk was rather defensive when we said we could not stay as we had a dog with us. anyway We drove back up the road a short way and stopped at Best Western Plus. What a difference. Lacey Pearson and her staff there was very accommodating. Yes they are dog friendly and the fee was $10.00. The rooms were clean, they had a restaurant there and room service. We went out for our meal so not sure how their prices were. I would stay there again even without our dog.

    « Retirement Road Trip »

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting Williams and the Grand Canyon. Excellent base for visiting the Canyon. Good size room clean with comfortable beds, friendly helpful staff. Not a big choice for breakfast but certainly enough to keep you going. Good value

« Great Value, clean and comfortable »

We are a family of 5, 2 adults and 3 kids and stayed here 2 nights so we could visit the Grand Canyon and Bearizona. Our stay was comfortable, they added a rollaway bed for a 3rd child and the room was big enough for all of us. I would say the hotel was nicer than expected for a Best Western with a full service restaurant and breakfast. Would stay here again!

    3
    « Good Enough »

A bit pricey but clean and functional. The hotel is about 1 hour away from the Grand Canyon and 30 minutes from Flagstaff. The hotel provides a breakfast bar with eggs, pancakes, meats, and all the continental breakfast foods as well. It served our purpose.

    5
    « Near Grand Canyon »

We stayed in this hotel for two nights; it was right off the interstate and not far from the Grand Canyon. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Complimentary breakfast was good and had several items to choose from. This hotel also a nice lounge area used for musical entertainment at night. Also have a nice little gift shop, loaded with Grand Canyon souvenirs. Would definitely stay here again.

    5
« Wish we could have stayed longer! »

We found this hotel after having a bad experience with another hotel. We were so happy with the friendly staff, the wonderful and immaculate room, the great amenities, and we have to mention the wonderful breakfast! We wish we could have stayed longer, and will definitely return when we are back in Williams.

    5
    « One Night Stay »

Very Clean, friendly, comfortable and convenient location off of the I-40. Only spent one night. Would stay here again. Used BW Rewards for stay. BW is usually always dependable for a clean, comfortable room and friendly staff.

    5
    « Stylish and comfortable »

This hotel uses local Native American art to decorate the lobby and hallways. Kachinas, beautiful and intricate carved wooden Hopi figures line the hallways. A very unique feature not to miss if you are exploring the Southwest! The bed was extremely comfortable and overall the hotel was clean and comfortable. Thanks!

    5
    « Great stay »

The hotel has live music in the evening. Is locations is next to busy road but the forested sketch of land buffers the road noise nicely so that the area is nice and quiet. The room was comfortable. There is plenty seating for the included hot breakfast. The staff is friendly and helpful.

    5
    « Great experience »

This is a property we have used several times previously and we are still very satisfied with it. Great rooms with a good restaurant attached. I would not hesitate a minute to recommend it. The location is also great, easy off I-40 and easy back on.

« A Great Base for Grand Canyon & Williams Visit »

Best Western Plus Inn of Williams The first views of this property are very inviting. It is nestled into a forested setting, with ample parking and easy access to the road/highway approaches. This lovely setting really made us feel welcome and pleased with our reservation choice. Inside our king bedroom was spacious with a sofa seating-TV viewing area and a fridge. The room was tastefully decorated. It was very pleasant and functional location for a 4-day base for our Grand Canyon/Williams visit. A hot-cold breakfast was included as is free wifi. The other amenities we used were the laundry and the hot tub. There is an outdoor heated (seasonal) pool as well. While it is not 'downtown' Williams, it doesn't matter, the town centre is mere minutes away. And the great forested setting more than makes up for it. The Best Western Plus Inn of Williams is reasonably priced and a great choice.

Would definitely recommend this hotel when staying in Williams. Very nice, quiet hotel, close to town, good breakfast with stay. The hotel was beautifully decorated for fall and the staff was very friendly.

    « Very, Very Nice! »

We had the great fortune to spend 2 nights at the Best Western Inn of Williams in late September. Frankly, there's not much of anything negative that I can think to say about this facility! The doors all use new technology proximity door cards, that only require you to hold the card against the reader to unlock the door. That's a giant leap forward from the widely used magnetic strip cards that you have to insert and pull back out. The hotel itself is situated on a steep hillside, surrounded by pine forest and offers the great smells of being in a pine forest, but also the clean air and serenity that comes with being so close to nature in the mountains. Our little dog was very happy to find the large pet area adjacent to the hotel, which also contained some patio chairs for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors. The hotel has a large well appointed atrium area at the main desk, and also houses the Western View Steakhouse restaurant where we enjoyed two wonderful evening meals. The service was a tad slow, but was very friendly and courteous. The rear portion of the restaurant serves as the breakfast hall in the mornings, and we also enjoyed our early morning meals there. This was hands-down the finest Best Western hotel I have had the pleasure of staying at to date. It is very near to the highway to the Grand Canyon National Park, which was very convenient for us. Also, the town of Williams itself, while small, is a very clean and friendly place. There are numerous restaurants and cafes, service stations, grocery and other other stores available. Also, Williams boasts a daily railroad train ride from Williams to the Grand Canyon, which returns to Williams every afternoon. We didn't take the train as we needed to be able to leave the Canyon when we were done there, so I don't know how much the tickets cost. That info may be available online. Bottom line is that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to choose it again in the future!

    « Lovely hotel »

We arrived mid evening and were greeted smilingly by front desk. Given a second (top) floor room which we always appreciate. Room was spotlessly clean as was the bathroom with nice toiletries (thank heavens they had lotion--been missing that in the last two hotel rooms). Bed is memory foam and probably the most comfortable hotel bed I have slept in for a long time! Had dinner at the restaurant on premises. Food was delicious although slightly expensive. Server was wonderful, sweet and helpful. A singer entertained in the lobby with popular songs from the 50s and 60s. Relaxing! Pool seemed rather small from the glimpse we had of it and full of children. We were tired anyway from our visit to the Grand Canyon so it didn't matter. Will definitely stay again.

    5
    « Awesome Hotel »

We were expecting a typical Best Western, but this location is more of a Hotel than a Motel. Excellent facility with a very nice dining area and very comfortable rooms. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the Grand Canyon area.

    « Secluded and lovely »

We enjoyed staying here for three nights. They had an awesome breakfast. This is the first time we have seen unsweet tea at a hot breakfast in a motel. Great servers that take care of you during breakfast. They use real dishes and silverware. Awesome.

« Best Western Plus in Williams is a DO!! »

Wonderful hotel for the money. Very Clean, excellent service. Highly recommend. Will stay here again when we return to Williams, Arizona. Breakfasts were very good by complimentary hot breakfast standards. Good restaurant and lounge. Friendly staff.

« about a mile from the downtown main strip »

Busy place as expected, this town being a stop over place for visitors to the Canyon. Price is high for hotel quality level, but this is a tourist town where everything is more expensive. Check in was friendly, quick and efficient. Rooms could use some updating--brown carpet looks old and tired, and bedding is old style sheets and bedspread--nice white duvets are pretty much the norm and expected at this price point. Room had a peculiar hum all night, front desk said it was due to nearby "computer room"... Good water pressure and decent toiletries (both being important when you're travelling)

    4
    « Good stay »

This hotel was clean, attractive and had comfortable rooms. It provided a good hotel-style breakfast and it was available early--important when you want to get on the road. While the hotel is close to the interstate, it is a long drive (1 hr) to the Grand Canyon. It was a great convenience that the hotel has a restaurant and lounge. It was so nice NOT to have to go out and find dinner after a long day of traveling and hiking. We ate dinner here 2 of our 3 nights and it was very good. I would stay here again but the hotel falls short of 5/5 rating for these reasons: (1) music from the lounge could be heard loudly in our room (at least it stopped at 10 PM); (2) the bathroom was very small and the toilet lid slid around; (3) the refrigerator was so noisy we had to turn it completely off to sleep. We reported it but nothing was done; (3) we had to ask for clips to keep our drapes closed (1st floor with people walking by our room outside). These annoyances made the room pricey for the value.

« Excellent place to stay »

We stayed at this hotel on a recent trip. It was marvelous. The value you receive is is excellent, too. It is off the road, but very near freeway exit. It is quiet. The property is well maintained. Staff is wonderful. The breakfasts are really great and - no plastic silverware!!! It is real! We will be back when we are in the area!

    « Great Breakfast Buffet! »

We had a wonderful stay at this Best Western. On arrival we were greeted by a friendly staff and check in was the easiest I have experienced. Our room was clean and comfortable. We stopped by the lounge for an afternoon cocktail and found it to be well decorated and the service good. We did enjoy the breakfast buffet selections that were delicious and varied. On our next trip through the area we will not hesitate to make a reservation again!

« Quiet, clean, above basic hotel. »

The location is out of the main area of town in a wooded setting and no view. Decor is dated but hotel is clean . Staff at checkin was very friendly. They allow pets and we heard barking when we awoke. The bathroom is very small but the vanity area is separated. Breakfast bar was good. We thought it a little pricey.

    « A lovely hotel in a beautiful setting »

Stayed here one night before heading up to Grand Canyon. This is a delightful hotel and it felt welcoming and homelike, unlike many other hotels. I took advantage of the fantastic hot tub tucked away in the back. Great patio and pool (but did not use). Live music in the lounge sounded good. Very comfy bed. Good free breakfast. This place is minutes from Williams and the shops and restaurants there. You can't go wrong choosing this hotel.

    « Night stay »

After a long drive, this was just a nice safe place to rest for the night. Jeep with open trailer and containers were left alone. Room nice and clean. We walked down the street for beer and pizza. All in all a nice place to spend the night.

« Dated Hotel in a Convenient Location »

We stayed at the Best Western Plus September 6-8. The woman who checked us in seemed disinterested, at best. She only asked for our last name, credit card, and id during the check in process. She did not offer any information about the town or any additional information about the hotel's amenities besides the hours of the free breakfast. Room: The hotel room was really large and clean, but extremely dated and dark. We had a king sized bed, and a knee wall that separated the sleeping area from a sitting area that had a love seat, and chair. The bathroom was decently sized and clean. The furnishings in the room were dark and old (sofa, dressers, coffee tables) and the carpeting, drapery, pictures and paint/wall paper were dark (brown and / or burnt orange. The lighting was sparse on top of it. New and more ample lighting, and updating the furnishings would go a long way for brightening things up. Breakfast: We were pleased with the daily complimentary breakfast. It included scrambled eggs, sausage/bacon, pancakes, fruit, a variety of breads and pastries, and an amazing yogurt machine. There were plenty of juices and coffee offered as well. Location: This hotel is a 45 minute to 1 hour drive from the South Rim of the Grand canyon, and about a 20 minute walk from downtown Williams. The Grand Canyon railroad is centered in downtown Williams. We walked into Williams each night to seek out dinner. The first third of the walk is on Route 66 and doesn't have sidewalks, so you either need to walk on the shoulder of the road OR walk through a graveyard and a field until you get to the area along Route 66 with a sidewalk. It wasn't a problem, but was a bit creepy when walking back from town through the graveyard after the sun set. Dining Options: The hotel does have a full service restaurant and separate bar. The bar is open until 10 pm at night. However, during our first night, the bar and restaurant were emptier than usual, so the staff made the call to close at 9 pm instead. We had just sat down to enjoy a night cap so were forced to take our drinks to our rooms instead. There is a great new restaurant a couple of doors down from the hotel, which is very convenient. Otherwise, you will need to drive / walk into Williams to find other places to eat. The town is small (I believe 3 miles end-to-end), so that is not a big deal. This is a good place to stay if you are visiting the Grand Canyon. It has huge potential to become an even more amazing place with some much needed updating.

    « So Restful »

Almost hidden in the woods on a hillside this hotel offered all you could want in a hotel near the Grand Canyon. The breakfast was great, the room quiet and comfortable and the staff helpful and professional. The gift shop was interesting with many area gilfts.

This is a spacious hotel and the grounds are very well maintained ideal for a leisurely walk after breakfast. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Bedrooms very comfortable and breakfast excellent. Location ideal for train trip to Grand Canyon. Would recommend this hotel

« Great Hotel in the pines with a Great Staff »

This is a nice hotel with comfortable beds, you always are assisted by a Great Friendly Staff, nice amenities, good entertainment and a nice spot nestled in the pines. The hotel is in a nice location, off of the beaten path of the noise in down town but not too far of a drive or even walk to town activities. The breakfast spread is pretty complete giving a variety to choose from.

« Convenient to GCNP and Railroad »

Minutes away from downtown Williams and the Grand Canyon Railroad Depot. My wife and I stayed there to ride the train to the GCNP. Excellent free breakfast (they have an automatic pancake machine which I have never seen before) with scrambled eggs, various meats (they alternate by day), pastries, etc. Good way to start the day and fuel up for the Park. Beds comfortable, rooms very quiet and very clean. No complaints here! The one disappointment was that the pool and spa are outside and I was really looking forwards to sitting in the spa. However, it was too windy and cold for me....

    « Beautiful Setting »

We enjoyed this hotel for a night. It is conveniently located off the freeway yet we heard no traffic noise during the night. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious. We liked the in-house restaurant & lounge so we did not have to go elsewhere to eat. The setting among the pines is very nice and the outdoor patios very inviting.

« Great Property Great Breakfast »

We stayed here for just one night after riding the Grand Canyon Railway. The property was in tip top shape with what looked like some paving stone work going on. Rooms were comfortable and clean, plenty of places on the property to go sit and enjoy N Arizona weather, including a fire pit out back. In the morning the breakfast was outstanding, above and beyond what most hotels of the class offer.

    « Good hotel--great location »

I was looking for a hotel about an hour away from the Grand Canyon, as we were coming from Las Vegas. Luckily, we settled on Williams AZ, an amazing little town with great shops and restaurants on historic Route 66. The room we were assigned, the air conditioning unit was not working. It would not even turn on. We were happily moved, but the room should be checked before guests arrive. There's really nothing to dislike about this hotel. It was quiet and clean and we felt like we had the place to ourselves. No one in the jacuzzi or pool for most of our 3 day visit. They should consider having towels in the pool/jacuzzi area. The included breakfast had everything you could want and in a very nice setting. Many hotels just stuff you into a lobby area. Our family of four saved a lot of money eating their delicious breakfast each day. The room itself was a little on the dark side. Increasing the bulb wattages and putting in an extra lamp would go a long ways. The AC unit was a little uneven. You had to put it down to 62 degrees to really cool the room. The fan would cycle go on and off during the night. Like most people, we enjoy a constant fan noise to help us sleep. I think every hotel employee at every hotel should stay one night in their own property. If they did at this one, they'd know that the curtains did not close all the way (or even close) and the outside street lights shine rather brightly into the room. My wife had to rig up something with one of her combs to close it all the way. Again, I'd imagine if any of the staff member were to stay a night, they'd find this out very quickly. At hotels, little things mean a lot. Maybe all hotels should supply a little clip for such events. The service at this property was perfect. All staff members were professional. We had just come from a busy Las Vegas hotel, so the low-key ambiance at this hotel was welcoming. So, the hotel was nice, but the real advantage of this location was being just a few minutes away from the one mile Route 66 area of Williams which features so many cute little shops and restaurants. There's a new Holiday Inn Express that I would consider if we visit Williams again but I'd have no problem staying again at this Best Western.

« Cozy hotel walking distance to downtown WIlliams »

So glad we chose this hotel!! It is a short mile walk to WIlliams. Cozy, friendly, and has a home away from home charm. The free breakfast is huge. At the foot of the entrance to the hotel, there is a Shell station where we purchased snacks/sodas to munch on. Restaurant has a nice selection of foods. We had the quesadillas and liked them very much. When walking down Route 66 to Williams, there is an old cemetery to the right. It's a little intimidating, but interesting to look it! We would definitely stay here again.

« Best plast to stay »

We shopped around for a place to stay since Williams has quite a few motels. Since Williams is a tourist trap town the rates were on the higher side. The cheapest was Motel 6 for $84 and the most expensive was the Williams THEME Rooms @ $250+. We found the Best western at the West end of town near I-40 a little off the beaten path. WOW is it nice! This place is new and very very nice! The Rates were less than the Comfort Inn next door. The rooms were nice, office space, roomy restroom. Pool, Hot Tub, Restaurant (which doubles as the hot brekke center) and a gazeboed fire pit area. The Breakfast was a little better than normal and it seems even nicer sharing it in a comfortable restaurant area. NICE NICE NICE. $98 a night in Williams at what felt better than a 5 star establishment. When we return to Williams with our #66 traveling Car Club, We are Staying here and eating at Cruisers.

    « Beautiful hotel »

This was a very nice looking hotel, the interior was nicely decorated, it's too bad we arrived so late, we couldn't enjoy the bar/lounge facilities, The outside looked very pleasing as well. The room were nice, bed was comfortable, and the view was of the trees that surrounded the facility. Staff in the daytime was very helpful, in regards to internet problems. More for the next stay and not the initial one. Very nice breakfast. nice atmosphere overall.

    3
    « Overnight stay »

Beds were Comfortable and breakfast was great and included in the fee. Staff was friendly. Room had the dull smell of stale smoke / somewhat musty from probably some time ago. Slept with the window open. Room was rather small but worth the price. Overall decent stay.

    5
« Good facilities and location »

The hotel is well environmentally located just a mile or so to the west of the Wlliams City centre and there are many interesting and beautiful areas for tourists to explore within one to two hours by car including the Grand Canyon. Staff were friendly and helpful, there was a good range of breakfast items and the restaurant meals and evening entertainment were of a high standard.

« Jeeping from Jerome to Wiliiams »

Great overnight stay - we were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Although it is not right in town, it is only a couple min drive. We thought the room was very nice - upgraded mattress/tv. The rooms need a bit better lighting but they assured us this will be an upcoming change. The rooms were spacious- even had 2 luggage stands!! They have a very nice pool/hot tub/outdoor patio and fire pit for those chilly nights. The restaurant was exceptionally good and we found we didn't need to go into town to eat. We would stay here again!!

« Outstanding views great employes. »

This is our second time staying here and we have stayed in some very nice elaborate interior hotels including Best Westerns but this one is special. I can't explain it I love the setting. We came here to celebrate our 41 wedding ann. It is very close to Sedona and Flagstaff. We went up into the hills behind the town what a shock. Lakes, camping, everything was green and this was the end of August. Williams has some real cute shops nice places to eat. The main road is the old Route 66 which is really pushed in the town.

« Amazing Breakfast, Stinky curtain showers, Prompt Staff »

Good things first: Hot breakfast - meat, eggs, bread, fruits - the whole nine yards. The staff is prompt and courteous - faster check-in and prompt housekeeping. Bad stuff: The A/C didn't work the first night - we informed of a very late check-in and slept off immediately to realize it in the middle of the night and to make things worse, the windows wouldn't open either. They shifted us the next morning to another room. The curtain shower, quite uncommon in hotels as this, did stink. The restroom was clean otherwise.

« Good place to stay in Williams, AZ »

Stayed two nights. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was very good. Downtown Williams is a fun place to walk around and have dinner. Easy drive to Grand Canyon National Park.

« Great location for visiting Grand Canyon »

We found this hotel to be a great location for visiting the Grand Canyon. It is on historic Route 66, just off Interstate 40 with just a 50 minute drive north to the Grand Canyon. It is at the western end of Williams, up a hill and nestled in the pine trees. We were very pleased with this quiet location and the wooded views from our room. We were traveling with a friend and booked two king size rooms. They were identical and actually larger than expected because the photos on-line only show the bed and do not give a good perspective of the adjoining sitting area which includes a sofa bed and two side chairs. The sitting area is separated from the sleeping area by a half-wall, affording a semblance of privacy if there is someone sleeping on the sofa bed. The rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable with quality bedding. The bathroom was very clean but a little dated with older fixtures and tile. There is a dining room and cocktail lounge near the lobby. The lounge area is attractively decorated with a large and interesting display of native American kachina dolls. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast which included hot scrambled eggs, ham and pancakes. There was also an assortment of breads, pastries and cold cereals. We found every staff member we dealt with to be very pleasant and attentive. We will be staying at this hotel next time we visit the Grand Canyon.

The hotel was outside of downtown Williams , it was nicely kept and relaxed environment. It was pleasant to have a sofa with reading lamp in the room and bath and body works products were supplied in the bath.

    « Nice but pricey »

Booked in advance as it's near the Grand Canyon in high tourist season. I expected to use my BW points, but was told at check-in that the points necessary were double those usually needed, and I couldn't use the points I had for partial payment. Had I known that in advance (I wasn't told when I made the reservation directly at the motel) I would have shopped around as Williams has lots of hotels/motels.. If you have luggage, ask for either a first floor room or if not available, a second floor room with a low number. The only elevator is at one end of a very long building, and it's a real chore to push your luggage cart hundreds of feet from lobby to elevator, then down that long second floor corridor to your room. If you plan to walk to downtown Williams, this isn't the place, as it's about two miles to town. Room was nice, bed comfortable, good breakfast. However room price was better than double that of most BW+ properties--even given its nearness to the Grand Canyon (56 miles away).

    5
« A cozy place in the pines »

My wife and I checked in, with our dogs, after a long drive from Las Vegas. The place was incredibly pleasant. And the staff was beyond anyone's expectations. The Inn is tucked off the highway - but not too far - in the pine woods of the area. They have a very nice restaurant, as well as a friendly little bar. The room was very well cleaned. and the place was quiet. I'd recommend this Best Western to anyone anytime.

« good hotel for pets »

Nice hotel if your traveling with a dog, room was nice and clean and the breakfast was outstanding. location is nice and close to Route 66 and downtown Williams. Missed not have the fire pit on at night, but stilled enjoyed sitting out by the pool at night.

« regular BW with a nice restaurant »

This is a standard Best Western (quiet, because off the main I40 and road 66), so you know what to expect: friendly and helpful front-desk (we needed an extra-bed, which got delivered promptly, e.g.), nice rooms, etc. But the added value is the restaurant here, which offers very nice and elaborated dishes (for a midrange+ price). The supply the breakfast, too (buffet). Note the nice swimming pool, next to the lobby and terrace. There was live country music playing during dinner (not too loud, just about right). Nice surprise. Very good stay before going to Grand Canyon, for instance.

    4
    « Great Staff & Location »

We have stayed at this hotel 3 or 4 times in the past year or so. We love the location, the rooms are spacious, the restaurant is very good and the outdoor patio with gas fire pit is so relaxing, but the friendly staff is this hotel's greatest attribute. I've said before that the rooms could really use a renovation, but they're overall pretty clean & well-kept. During this stay, there was an overnight flood in the utility room next to us, so we stepped out of bed onto a wet carpet on Saturday morning. Apparently, a staff member had accidentally left a hose running or something. We had to rush off for our son's early football game, but I notified the staff before we left. When we returned that afternoon, the room had been rearranged (for maintenance to fully gain access to the wet carpet, under & around the bed), our things were everywhere, there were fans throughout the room, etc. We were told that the carpets wouldn't be dry any time soon and it would be best if we changed rooms. Moving was a hassle, but we did. The gal at the front desk was very apologetic. My biggest issue is that we weren't offered any sort of compensation for the inconvenience....BW Reward points, a meal in the restaurant, a little something from the gift shop, a partial refund of the money we paid for the room.....Something, just to say that our time is valuable and the hotel is taking responsibility for the hassle that they caused us. It's something I expect within hospitality, so that was a bit of a disappointment. Overall, though, we like this hotel very much and will probably stay again.

    « 3 days of bliss »

Room was very spacious, food good, and amenities wonderful. Location was centrally located because it is close to Bearazona, the local golf course, and the Grand Canyon Railway. Bearazona was great in that you stay in your car and explore the park of wildlife. Can drive any number of times through the park. The Grand Canyon railways goes from downtown Williams to the Grand Canyon and return. Gives you 3 hours at the Canyon. The Elephant golf course was a lush green with tons of trees.

    « Fairly typical BW »

We travel with our dog a lot so we stay in a lot of Best Westerns. This one was right in the middle of the pack. Small room and the AC was crummy (I had it set at it's lowest temp and the room was probably in the high 70's). Breakfast was decent. Location in the woods was nice and the pool and Jacuzzi were awesome. Employees were ok - we've had better and worse :-)

« Very Nice Best Western Hotel »

This hotel is located off Route 66 situated among pine trees in a very quiet area. All rooms are interior doors. A very accommodating pet friendly hotel which provides a nice area outside to walk your pooch and also provides doggie bags. Only stayed one night here. Very happy with the room and the cleanliness of the room as well. I felt the breakfast provided was very good with lots of different options to choose from. The interior of the hotel is nicely decorated with Kachina Dolls. As you walk down the halls, you will see Kachina Dolls placed behind glass along the halls.

« Cream of the crop »

Just off i40 going into Grand Canyon this Plus is the best of the best. On the road for over 24 days, 15 or 16 Best Westerns, all good but this is the cream of the crop. Mountain view, very quite but just a mile or so from old time Route 66. Staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. But the best for last, it was very affordable.

« Beautiful hotel in the pines »

When you turn up the road to this hotel you'll wonder if you've made a wrong turn, but, just keep going up the hill. It's a very nice place in a beautiful setting, surrounded by pine trees and very quiet. The hallway is decorated with Kachinas and the bar has a large display of them. Breakfast was plentiful with a large variety served on real plates and silverware. The room was clean and comfortable with the best beds. The front desk clerks were very friendly and helpful. We will stay here again when in Williams.

« As good as any other! »

If you want a Best Western experience you've got it. It has a pool, breakfast, TV, internet... did you expect much else? The hotel is well-maintained and it's not like there are cobwebs everywhere. Must say the view from the breakfast hall is pretty fantastic though. Staff were friendly, as they tend to be. Not much bad I have to say!

    « Road trip »

My family of 4 enjoyed this hotel. It was clean and tucked away from the rest of the town. This hotel was wonderful, however, best western as a whole treated us rather poorly. They had a promotion for a gift card with 2 separate stays. We stayed in multiple best western hotels during our multi state road trip. When we asked the corporate phone center about the gift card they said we were not eligible because we didn't specifically ask to be enrolled into the promotion even though we used our Best Buy rewards card! When we spoke to a rep, after being on hold for 30 min, she stated I'm disconnecting your call and hung up on me because she didn't want to help us!! When we called back the new rep was much Nicer but they still wouldn't help even though we had spent many nights with their hotel. There are much nicer hotels to patron and that's exactly what we will be doing from now on due to the terrible customer service we received. Poor form best western!!!

« Nice hotel when stayed over ten years ago. »

There are better places to stay in town. The ground are nice but the room was filthy. Stayed here over ten years ago and the place was nice. The housekeeping staff leaves a lot to be desired. Stay at a different place in town if you want a clean room. We looked at some of the smaller places right in town and they all looked clean and nice. Looked at some of the rooms for options on the next trip through Williams and will stay somewhere else.

    « Excellent »

Well appointed, clean property. Spacious rooms with seating area. Staff friendly. Large area for breakfast seating. Gift shop was surprisingly varied, we picked up some fun 'voodoo, dolls that hadn't seen before. Restaurant on premise serves steak and Mexican. See my review of that (spoiler alert: excellent). Only negative for those diamond reward members is no check in 'gift'. If you are staying in Williams this property is a great option.

    4
« Another elevator should be placed at other end of hallway. »

Rooms are comfortable and clean. Staff helpful and friendly. The elevator is situated only at one end of the hallway, which makes dragging all your suitcases a schlep. It`s not within walking distance into town, but well situated. Restaurant serves good meals.

« Wish we would have had more time! »

We stayed here overnight on our way to California .. what can I say it was amazing. The location was perfect, we drove to the Grand Canyon and the weather was perfect slight drizzle.. the fire pit was on.. my husband enjoyed the onsite bar. Everything was perfect ...oh and the rooms have bath & body works lotions, shampoos & etc.... wow that was a plus. The only thing that could have made it better was more time.

    « Great Stay »

We stopped here on our visit to the Grand Canyon. If you don't want to be in downtown Williams, this is the spot for you. It's nicely located just outside of town. The hotel was nice, the facilities were all kept up well, we really enjoyed our stay here. We drove through downtown Williams, most of the hotels there seemed really old and outdated.

    « A great alternative »

My husband and I wanted to go to the Grand Canyon and were unable to get a hotel room for two consecutive nights in the park or in the neighboring town of Tusayan. The closest place to stay was Williams, AZ, so we decided to stay at the Best Western PLUS since they were offering a promotional. It was a great alternative and half the price of staying at the Grand Canyon area hotels. We had a bit of a drive each way, but we still saved money by staying in Williams and enjoyed walking around the quaint Old Town area.

    « 2nd Stay at this hotel »

I stayed at this hotel last Nov. and enjoyed it so much, I booked a return trip. Didn't consider other hotels. It is a bit outside of Williams, but the quality of the property makes it well worthwhile.

« Above Average Hotel in Williams »

Our overall expieence was great. Comfortable room with pet area close by. The chef and staff at the resturant were outstanding, serving very above average food. Breakfast area one of the best. With lots of choices, with very good hot or cold items. Will stay there again if in area. Only 50 minute drive to grand Canyon.

    « Lovely hotel »

We stayed for 4 nights. Hotel is well placed on the outskirts of Williams just off the freeway. You need to drive into the town which takes 10 mins. Room was clean, bed was huge and you could have it cleaned everyday. Breakfast included which was eggs, bacon and biscuits everyday as well as a pancake making machine, cereals, pastries and muffins, unlimited tea, coffee and juice. We actually ate there one night as well and were very happy with the quality and price. It is an hour away from the Grand Canyon which wea the reaso for our stay. Also well worth visiting is Williams itself and Bearizona

« Nice tucked away hotel »

This place was in the nicest area right outside of Williams AZ. Trees and mountains made it seem like a nice little cabin hideaway. This hotel offers many amenities and even has a gift shop. The employees were all very welcoming and helpful with questions we had. We will DEFINITLY stay here again. Thanks to this hotel for our great comfortable stay!

When we couldn't find anything reasonable at the Grand Canyon we decided to stay in Williams. Glad we did, what a nice town. This hotel is in a beautiful location. Rooms are comfortable and breakfast was great. Bookmarking this for our next trip thru this area.

« Decent hotel for football playoffs »

We stayed here with some friends last January. Rooms on first floor make it easy to access lounge and breakfast area. The hotel is on the other end of town but the Kicks restaurant next door is awesome. And, the hotel restaurant has good appetizers. We did not eat any meals so I cannot comment on hotel restaurant. The place is dog friendly. We will return.

    « Very well run »

My wife and I stayed here and used it for our Grand Canyon hub. This hotel has a very friendly staff, the restaurant and bar are both good. We visited both the bar and restaurant 2 times during our 3 night stay. The room was clean and quite. There is plenty of parking also. If your coming to Williams to stay, I can highly recommend this particular Best Western. If we return here, I know where we will stay...

    « Stop over »

This was a great nights stay but a bit pricey. At a price of $200 a night, that is a bit much. The pool and the hot tub was wonderful. Great place to relax after a long day of driving. The location was perfect. The hotel is right down the street from downtown Williams, Rte 66.

    « Very friendly staff »

We drove into Williams early to catch the train to the Grand Canyon and were staying at this hotel. It was too early to put us in a room, but the desk clerk was very welcoming and tried to take care of us. We checked in later in the evening and had a very nice room with a king bed and plenty of space. The bathroom was surprisingly small, but a dressing area outside of the bathroom was nice. I especially like having real glasses and coffee cups in the room - not just the plastic ones. A band was playing in the lounge area when we checked in, which was nice, though I was happy not to hear it from our room. We only ate breakfast here once and it was typical; the other mornings we left around 6 a.m. so nothing was available but coffee. The Kicks on 66 restaurant is just around the corner, and we thought the food was very good. And I loved the beautiful trees and lack of humidity! I think this was a good hotel for the price and we would stay here again.

Upon our arrival, and all during our stay, we felt like we were at home. The waiters in the restaurant were especially friendly and professional. The breakfast was excellent, and the wait staff were very helpful.

« Beautiful property helpful staff »

The property is in the cool pines and is a beautiful hotel. The office staff were very helpful and efficient. The beds had gel foam toppers on the mattresses which were very comfortable. There was a coffee maker, hair dryer and mini fridge in the room, but no microwave. There was a microwave in the breakfast area, however. The breakfast that they served was excellent.

    « Nice hotel »

Usual Best Western hotel adequate accommodation but reasonable facilities in the hotel. Good outdoor swimming pool and firepit to sit out at. Particular praise to the dinning room which provided a good meal at a reasonable price compared to the rip off establishments in the town.

« Very family friendly hotel close to Grand Canyon National park »

Very family friendly hotel about 40 minutes drive to Grand Canyon National park. Set up high among the trees, beautiful setting sitting out by the fire pit while the kids enjoy the heated pool. Restaurant pretty good. Cute little town!

    « Enjoyable »

II am traveling across the country exploring. I've spent 15 nights in hotels and your hotel is by far the best so far. The hotel is quiet, clean, has a wonderful free breakfast, great pool, and hot tub. We enjoyed your lounge and drinking wine on your beautiful patio. If I could give ten stars I would. Your staff are wonderful!

We enjoyed our stay here while visiting the Grand Canyon. Great breakfast with lots of hot and cold choices , everyone in the office was very nice and friendly, the location amid the trees along with a nice pool and hot tub is beautiful. The hotel is very clean and quiet . I really have no complaints.

« Best place to stay in Williams »

We stayed at this best western for 3 nights. We had a king size bed on the second floor with a view of the pool. The room had a balcony. It was nice to sit out on the balcony relaxing enjoying the cool weather of Williams. Not all second floor rooms have balcony's. There was a guy in the lounge area that sang songs every night that we were there. The room was nice and quiet and clean. It was self parking. There were ample parking slots available even though the motel seemed to be fairly busy. The motel had a pool and a hot spa. Both were very clean. Bottom line is that we enjoyed our visit to Williams and the Best Western added to that enjoyment.

« Comfortable place to stay »

This motel was a comfortable place to stay. The room was spacious (we had a king-sized bed) and plenty of room to move around. All the amenities were available and in working order. The only concern we had with our room was the A/C that wasn't very cold but we didn't report it because our time in the room wasn't that long. We did eat in the restaurant the first night and enjoyed our meal and the wait staff was excellent. The internet was fast and worked well. The motel was easy to get to since our main objective was to ride the train to the Grand Canyon. All in all, our stay was pleasant.

    « Didn't Want to Leave »

This hotel is set back in trees, The outdoor area was our favorite! There is a pool, fire pit, lounge area to relax and enjoy the beautiful Arizona sunsets. There is also a lounge/bar/restaurant right inside so you can enjoy a cocktail. The room was spacious, clean, comfy beds, and friendly staff. It was the perfect getaway for us. Seriously did not want to leave!

« Nice place to stay »

Great place to stay while visiting the Grand Canyon. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast had a good selection, but more fresh fruit would be a plus. Our room was very cozy and the toiletries provided were great, Stress Relief by Bath and Bodyworks! We had an overall nice stay. It's about an hour from the Grand Canyon and a short drive to the historic Route 66 loop.

We had the best stay at the Best Western PLUS in Williams! Excellent staff that help us with our endless questions. This hotel is very clean, the rooms are big and very comfortable. Plenty of parking, breakfast was good and the coffee was always hot!! Loved our stay!

    « Nice option for a hotel »

I think this is a great hotel with a wonderful location that anyone would be comfortable staying at for a few nights. Pros: Location in the small town of Williams Hotel is tucked back in the hill side which provides additional peace and quiet Well priced for the holiday weekend compared to other hotels Very comfortable bed Wonderful, easy check in process Cons: None worth reporting

« convenient location for Grand Canyon National Park »

The location is really convenient for entering Grand Canyon National Park. This small hotel is very clean and provides nice breakfast with variety of choice. But the price is a little bit too high for this hotel level. Probably due to the hot season for vacation.

« Trip to Grand Canyon »

Very nice hotel. Glad we pick Best Western Plus! staff is really nice and help us with all of our needs ,. We enjoy the nightly evening entertainment . Kids enjoy the pool ,plus the hot tub. In the evening they also had a fire pit. We enjoy the hotel so much, we stayed another night.

« Truly a Best Western Plus hotel »

If your destination is the Grand Canyon and you are looking for an excellent place to stay this Best Western Plus resort will not disappoint. Great location in a wooded area of Williams AZ with well appointed large accommodations and an exceptional staff. A hot complimentary breakfast is included and there is more than adequate parking available. Grounds are beautifully manicured and there is a pool and spa. Weather permitting outdoor dining at the Western View Steakhouse is outstanding. This restaurant features a full menu of steaks and seafood to select from. Entrée choice includes soup or salad and two side dish selections. Service staff is friendly and professional. Dinner per person including a cocktail or glass of wine plus tax and tip is approximately $50 but we'll worth the expense. Hotel is location an hour ride to the Grand Canyon.

    3
    « Not Kid friendly »

Disappointed this hotel had no microwave or Disney Channel for the kids. We always warm things up for the kids or do microwave popcorn. No Disney channel is always a treat when we travel. Kids were heart Broken.

    « Absolutely a beautiful hotel »

The hotel is amazing. It has all the amenities you could ask for. Easy access from the interstate and close to town. The beds were very comfortable. The food is great, a little expensive but you can always go into town, but it is so beautiful. Great place to unwind on the outdoor patio.

« Ok for an overnight stay »

This place is a little bit better than most Best Western's but not quite as good as your average Holiday Inn Express. The fitness room is ok but its right at the front of the lobby and all the sightseeing pamphlets are in there, so people are coming in and out to get info while you're trying to work out...but the breakfast is pretty good.

    4
    « Nice Overnight Stay »

We stayed here on our way from Las Vegas to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. The hotel was clean. The ladies at the desk were nice and friendly. The complementary breakfast included plenty to eat with a variety of options.

    « Very Enjoyable stay ! »

Very nice hotel/motel. A little pricey but not to bad. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. We had 2 small dogs and desk manager moved our room from 2nd to 1st floor without our having to ask. Room was very clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

    4
    « They take dogs »

The beds are nice, they take dogs, and the rooms are okay. Nice short trails for walking the dog and pretty location. OVERPRICED! The dining room needs a lot of help. My husband ordered half a chicken, the very young staff came up and said, "Enjoying eating that?" and he said, "No, it's the driest chicken I ever ate." She replied with a smile, "That's what everyone says." Like we were in a Southwest version of Fawlty Towers! Ordered a pricey bottle of wine and waitress opened it and poured it, no tasting. The food is not very good even if you don't order the chicken!

    5
« Best in this area, pricey, but definitely worth it! »

Forget the "Heated Pool", they want you inside in the luxurious (and expensive) restaurant and bar. However, the insides are where you want to be. Outstanding decor, well kept grounds, super clean rooms. We felt safe and pampered. Great night's sleep!

    « Disappointed »

We reserved a room here for one night last week and were excited to stay here based on the reviews. We were really disappointed after checking in because our room was not very clean. There was a musty smell that had been covered up with a sweet perfume or air freshener. I check around the bed and found a few black hairs on our clean bed sheets and a a lot of crumbs behind the bed after pulling the mattress back a little bit. The room itself seemed to need a coat of paint because of scratches on the walls and doors. We asked to see another room and while it was in better shape (not as many scratches on the walls) it also smelled very musty and it was then that we decided not to stay. The front desk staff was visibly annoyed but canceled our stay. It is a beautiful location and an interesting property. I wish the rooms I saw were as nice as the rest of the property.

« Great stay for Grand Canyon and Rte 66 »

We arrived tired and overheated for our stay and trip to the Grand Canyon. It was clean, comfortable and free breakfast was sufficient. The night we got in tired, so we ate at the restaurant on site. Food was ok, but grossly overpriced. $15 for tacos. $15 for quesadilla. $21 for chicken with two extremely small sides? Well, we needed food so we bit the price. Happy for the convenience of on-site dining. There was a adorable fire pit blazing when we arrived and tons of activity at the pool. Live entertainment in the lobby was a welcome add too. Visited the bar on our second night and the bartender was very nice and funny to chat with too. We were exhausted from an all day hike so all we wanted was a short drink before heading to bed and it was perfect! Again, thankful to have this on site. Quiet and peaceful. Fun local decor in the lobby. Front desk staff were helpful. The gym is sparse but able to get a decent work out in since the hiking Grand Canyon took care of the rest of cardio needed! Prices are reasonable for all they offer and you're not in the middle of the busy traffic of the park. The gas station, Shell, at the end of the property is expensive. Before you leave, take a short ride down the road to see Historic Route 66. Sights are neat and gas prices are cheaper too.

« Very nice and relaxing place »

Very nice and relaxing place to stay on the way to Grand Canyon. It is quiet up on a hill above Route 66 tucked into the woods. Loved the quiet atmosphere in the woods. There is a restaurant, gift shop, entertainment, pool and spa. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is just outside of Williams but only minutes to convenient shops and restaurants in Williams. Route 66 is the main road going through Williams and is on the way to Grand Canyon which is about an hour away. Absolutely loved the quaint town of Williams.

    5
    « great stay »

Easy to find, especially if you're already tired from a long drive. Staff at the reception were very welcoming and great. Decent, clean, quiet and comfortable rooms. Serves good food at the restaurant, had dinner and breakfast. My son left his jacket, but he found it at the lost and found at the reception.

« A major stain on AZ and Williams »

Nothing good or even indifferent to say about being trapped in this armpit for two nights. Might have been a decent facility at some point in the past but it must have been the distant past. We booked via BW Corporate however that has not proven to be helpful to this point. Naturally the apparent lack of an elevator was a surprise and of course the staff were not forthcoming in this regard. The room was dark, nominally equipped and poorly maintained/cleaned. One bedside light for a pair of Kings is clearly deficient but the (indifferent) staff refusal to provide an additional fixture pretty much sealed the deal. Common elements continued the dark (and dank/damp) theme as well as the poor overall housekeeping. Add the squeaky/twangy/loud evening entertainer (performing for nary a soul) and you have a formula for depression - fortunately the great Grand Canyon views and warmth of the Williams folks downtown help offset that - at least to some extent. BTW; Don't miss the Pine Country Restaurant downtown - that place rocks. Real capper though is the arrival today of the billing for that disastrous stay - significant overcharge for the visit and no help to be had from time on the phone with the site staff ! Perhaps Corporate will ultimately come through for us - but I really don't expect much relief. What this place needs is a fire - and some staff firing, Manager to the head of the line please. On the other hand the BW Plus Wayfarers Inn on Andy Devine in Kingman AZ is a dream - excellent facilities and outstanding staff - major kudos to them ! Cheers, - panamnut -

    « Williams Best Western, 6/14/16 »

Overall good experience. My grandson was welcomed and treated as though he was their only guest! Arrived late but the dining room took great care with our meal and the service was not with regret but fresh as early evening. Swimming later was beautiful in the moonlight and stars and pine trees with a mountain breeze blowing across us.

« A good place to stop on the way to Grand Canyon »

It was tucked up on a hill and surrounded by woods, even though you heard the highway. Spotted a coyote from our window. We enjoyed the pool and it was a great hot tub. The restaurant meal was very good. They had a great performer in the evening. Nice gift shop too.

    4
« Peaceful location in woods »

2nd time staying here. As you come on 40 Fwy. it is right outside Williams. It is surrounded by trees. Husband and daughter hiked behind the hotel.Country singer was performing when we got there. There is a bar and restaurant. Breakfast is free. They had hot food as well as fruit, yogurt, cereals, etc. Very good. Location is just minutes outside Williams.

    « Excellent Stay. »

I don't give many 5 star ratings, as I save them for outstanding experiences. The Best Western Inn was one of those. Stayed here after a long day at the Grand Canyon. The rate was a higher than I usually pay, but I received excellent service, the memory foam mattress was comfy, quiet, room was clean, and the facility was very well-maintained. Breakfast was delicious. I would certainly recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

    3
« I guess you pay for the location »

We traveled from Florida to Arizona to see the Grand Canyon. Stayed at several hotels along the way. This one was about double the price of the same quality hotel in other cities. Nice place, nice pool but old AC and refrigerator was noisy. At the price we paid, it should've been much nicer.

    4
« Nice option in Williams »

Stayed in Williams for 2 nights while visiting Grand Canyon. Hotel was lovely. Breakfast was just ok, selections limited, so just ok. Had a nice gift shop, large outdoor hot tub, fire pit. Restaurant on site was a little pricy, so we opted for The Pizza Factory which was very good. Williams is such a cute town. Live western shoot out in the evening, no chain restaurants , yeah! Live music at the Italian restaurant. Several shops for souvenirs. Grand canyon wine shop and local brewery. Very nice stay

    « Beautiful setting »

I stayed there only one night over Memorial Day but really enjoyed the hotel. Our room was clean and spacious and the bar and restaurant were great. The hotel is outside of town in a beautiful wooded area with a pool and hot tub also. It's about 45 minutes to an hour to the entrance to the Grand Canyon.

    4
« Great Hotel to stay in Williams »

A quiet hotel nestled in a lush green setting. Hotel is right outside the town but still close enough to drive into Williams. Staff was wonderful. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. I would stay here again if we come back to this area.

« Beautiful hotel, wonderful staff »

Rooms were excellent, staff went out of their way to help. Christina D at reception especially made us so welcome and helped to organize our trip to the Grand Canyon and also gave us directions on visiting Sedona and the surrounding area. Restaurant served outstanding food and the entertainment at night was lovely.

« Hidden Gem - Amazingly Nice Staff »

This hotel is hidden off the freeway from I-40, at the west-side exit for Williams near the Grand Canyon turn off. The hotel is in a great location to explore the Grand Canyon, Lake Mead, Meteor Crater, Flagstaff area, and is a great price. The hotel is very clean, the outdoor pool heated and large, and the breakfast is quite good. Real eggs, sausage, pancakes, and fruit/gluten free options. Overall, an exceptional value for the area. Rooms are very clean. When we first checked in, our room was on the far end of the first floor and a skunk was outside stinking up the place. As soon as we told the front desk, they switched us immediately and upgraded us to a large suite for the trouble. They really didn't have to do that, but they just provide great service. The staff at the free breakfast were incredibly kind, and even cleared our plates for us. At most hotels, the free breakfast team avoids making eye contact and avoids you - not here. It was refreshing to see people being kind, and treating you like a real human being. One last thing, we had a dog with us and this hotel is very dog friendly. We really appreciated the doggie bag dispensers placed in 3 places out around the front of the hotel. Just very thoughtful, and well placed. Like most everything at this hotel.

« Beautiful Hotel... Exterior and Grounds »

I would stay again because the grounds and exterior are beautiful. The fire pit and restaurant / lounge are also great. Location a little out of town, but I thought perfect. The rooms need work. They are very dark and need to be updated. I was very disappointed you couldn't open the windows to enjoy the wonderful mountain air.

Very nice hotel and very pleased with visit. Centrally located for a visit to the Grand Canyon. Very short drive to town if you need anything. Rooms were clean and hotel and facilities were modern. Outside was well maintained. Staff was helpful and polite. Breakfast was excellent.

    « Top Notch! »

LOVED the fire pit and live music! Me and my mom only stayed here for 1 night but we were very impressed with the cleanliness and comfort of our stay. As I work in the hospitality industry some hotels are hard to please me but this one did the trick! Please stay here!

    « Pleasant Surprise »

We were going to Williams to take the Grand Canyon Railroad. We checked the "package price" for the Grand Canyon Railroad hotel and thought it was outrageous. We then checked the Best Western Plus and thought we would give it a try because we have had good experiences with Best Western Plus properties before. We were completely surprised by the excellence of the location in the pines, the professional and pleasant staff, the quality of the restaurant food for dinner (steakhouse), the lounge/bar in the evening and the outdoor fireplace adjacent to the outdoor pool. We vowed that if and when we return to Williams we will stay there again.

    5
« GREAT PLACE TO STAY »

The staff is polite and helpful when check in and check out. Their breakfast is very good and tasty. Only the room is a little old fashioned. The swimming pool has good view .It's really suitable for family.

    4
« Good, clean and convenient »

Good, clean and convenient hotel that we truly enjoyed staying at with only one exception. We didn't get our room serviced during our stay. This left us with full trash cans and a shortage of towels. The front desk was able to get us trash bags and towels, but we didn't hear back as far as a reason why the room was skipped.

    5

« Very convenient place for GC area »

We visited it in mid-May 2016. Grand Canyon is an one hour or so scenic drive away. Our second floor room was spacious with very comfortable beds, quiet AC/Heating and an small fridge. There is a very well stocked supermarket nearby. We stayed 4 nights and one day we managed to visit Meteor Crater and Sedona. We will definitely return to complete our visit to GC. Minor point, we liked the hotel's tap water and we ended up not using bottled water that we bought at nearby Safeway. Our only gripes are that there were just three light bulbs in the room, and only one chair.

    4
« Lack of Elevator problem for guests on 2nd Floor »

We enjoyed our stay - and have stayed at this hotel twice in the past. Wonderful food and entertainment; what is lacking is an elevator to the second floor -- or someone to transport guests' suitcases to second floor. As we are getting older, we will seek accommodations that have the convenience of an elevator in the future. With a special needs family member, the lack of the convenience of an elevator was more difficult than if we were all "abled."

    4
    « Not a 5 »

Hotel stay was great! Good service " clean room. Not a 5 part, breakfast scramble eggs and ham were cold. I believe if kitchen staff pre warmed prepared foods prior to placement in the serving line it would solve this issue. The food warmers are not designed to heat food, just keep it warm. Others a great stay.

    5
    « Road trip »

Very nice hotel. Price was a little high but considering the area I understand. Breakfast is prepared fresh & served on plates. Hot tub & pool were nice as well. Enjoy the lounge entertainment. The view outside is the best. Good location for Route 66 & Grand Canyon.

    4
    « In the trees »

Nice hotel. comfortable beds, excellent staff, good food. The steak my husband had was very good, the chicken enchilada I had would have been really good except for the sauce. Breakfast was nice, but bacon and sausage would have been a nice addition.

    « Williams, AZ »

Decent hotel, some loud noises but seemed better after notifying front desk. Get there early for better breakfast selection. Could use free happy hour like most other BW. Good proximity to downtown Williams which is by far the coolest town on old Route 66.

    « Pleasant Hideaway »

This hotel is our special spot to stay on our way from California to Colorado. We look forward to the friendly staff, a good meal at their cozy restaurant and relaxing after dinner to the wonderful vocals of "Omar". A clean, comfortable hideaway tucked in the pines.

« GREAT PLACE TO STAY »

This BW is one of the best. The property is set in a wooded area which sets the stage for a chance siting of the area wildlife. The "Free Breakfast" is one that goes above and beyond the normal breakfast. The atmosphere is one that makes you want to enjoy your breakfast and speak with the other guests around you about their travels. Would recommend this property to anyone who is going to visit the Grand Canyon using the South Entrance.

    4
    « A pretty nice hotel »

I really liked this hotel. It was nice, and quiet. It was also in a pretty good neighbourhood, close to things. The staff were friendly, and I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone staying the Williams area. They also have a lovely forest basically outside the front door. And it had so much snow.

    « Really awesome inn!! »

This hotel is very nice. We planned to stay 2 nights but we stayed another day. The hotel is tucked away behind lots of pine trees, so you feel you are in the forest. The pool is heated to a nice warm temperature and the huge hot tub is fabulous. You get a free full breakfast each day and the food is so yummy! It's a little on the expensive side, but well worth it.

    « A great surprise »

We stopped at Best Western Plus on our way from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon. This place was a great surprise! The lobby/lounge was very cozy, with a beautiful fireplace and live music. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was delicious. We didn't get a chance to enjoy them, because it was cold and a bit snowy, but the pool and fire pit looked lovely, too. We would definitely stay here again if in Williams.

« Best Place In Williams »

Great location right next to a beautiful wooded area, rooms are very comfortable and clean, coffee pot provided, friendly and competent staff, nice bar area, great dining with plenty of choices, delicious breakfast buffet, convenient parking, quiet, evening entertainment - singer named Omar and he is fantastic. Nice pool area and fire pit for those cool evenings. The ONLY thing I did not like ..... it is a pet friendly motel and we were awakened by dogs barking at 4:30 am.

    4
    « Great bed! »

Stayed for 2 nights in May. Off Rt 66, just west of downtown Williams. Easy on and off I-40. The entrance to the hotel is a little tricky. It's the driveway next to Kick restaurant. The staff was helpful. There is a restaurant and tavern with live music in the hotel. The fridge in the room was hidden in the armoire. The coffee supplied in the room was actually really good. Did I say the bed was really good?! The only negative, if this really is a negative, was that there is only 1 elevator at the very end of the hotel. If you are at the opposite end, like we were, and have a bunch of stuff, it feels like forever getting to the room. There are a couple staircases if you are traveling light. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Our first stay here, decided after TripAdvisor reviews, location and price as we were taking the train to the GC the next morning. Quite pleased! Pretty wooded location; clean rooms and very comfortable, nice, helpful staff. We were too tired to go out for dinner so we ate at their in-house Steak House - super delicious, super impressed! We tend not to eat dinner at hotel restaurants - so glad we did! Our waitress Ramona(?) was the best! Breakfast was pretty good, guess we had our expectations set pretty high because of our dinner, ha. We would come back here again. Thanks!

My wife and I stayed here prior to our visit to the Grand Canyon. The staff was very courteous, friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well apportioned. « Excellent Stay »

We have stayed at this location for couple of nights for our trip to GC and had a great time. Exterior appearance of this hotel is nice, beds are super comfortable, room is very clean, Internet/Wifi is pretty fast, have balcony, Breakfast has lot of varieties and Arrival/Departure service is great. This location is just 55 miles from Grand Canyon Visitor center (South Rim), about 3 miles away to Bearizona and lot of restaurants are near by. Room prices are also very reasonable instead of paying higher rate for hotels near Grand Canyon. We will definitely comeback to this location for our next visit and recommend to anyone..!

« Well placed for Grand Canyon »

Situated in Williams, it takes an easy hour to get to the Grand Canyon. The staff try hard to give a good service and the rooms are comfortable, though a bit dark inside. It has a "help yourself" buffet breakfast and you will get an evening meal, though dont expect haute cuisine. The hotel could do with a refurb.

    5
« Off the beaten path »

We always bypassed Williams because there was nothing worth stopping for to be seen from I-40. A friend said look into the Best Western Plus in Williams so we decided to give it a try. We found it just far enough off the freeway to keep the road noise below the hearing level. The motel is set back among the pine trees and is Pet friendly. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The rooms on the back side face the beautiful Arizona sunsets and are very clean. Breakfast was fresh and hot and very Tasty. We did not try the in-house Steak house but we will on the next visit. We will not drive the extra 30 miles to flagstaff anymore. This will be a destination when driving I-40 and we are planning a winter visit to see the canyon in winter.

We just came home from a two night stay at this hotel. We stayed there the night before taking the train to the Grand Canyon and the next night. We definitely will go back. The room was comfortable and the hotel had so much personality! Great free breakfast and at night there was live entertainment that you could hear in the restaurant, bar, or outside at the fire pit. Everyone that worked there was so friendly and helpful. This definitely is the place to stay in Williams, AZ!

« Excellent setting in the Pines »

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were cordial, attentive and accommodating. Will definitely stay there again. Stayed at other hotels in Williams a month ago which were not as attentive to our needs.

    « Great location. »

Had a king room on second floor - very quiet. Room very clean and the bed very comfortable. Staff were great. Breakfast buffet very good - plenty to choose from. The only thing that "bothered" me, was the dirty rubbish bin in the breakfast area, the top of which did not look as if it had been washed for a very long time- this was off-putting to me. We did have a dinner in the restaurant, but being a vegetarian there was not too much choice - the "sides" choice I felt was expensive. The Bavarian bread was fantastic, as was the veg/beef soup for my husband. We would definitely stay there when we visit Williams again.

    « BETTER then others »

Because of a bad experience at another Best Western in San Diego, CA, we have for the most part avoided Best Western brand. I will say that this location met our expectations, and would consider this location again. The location in Williams AZ, was very nice, away from the hustle and bustle of activity, and very quiet. The staff at the front counter was super friendly and helpful, the gift shop was reasonably priced. The one thing I would say is that the staff at breakfast/and in the hallways avoid eye contact and most didn't acknowledge/or say hello.

« Nice hotel in Williams AZ »

Well maintained hotel nestled up in the pines west of town. Nice restaurant on the premises with reasonable entrees. Room was quiet except for folks smoking outside the hotel entrance. Would have liked a fan-only setting for the HVAC. Hot tub was kind of bubbly, but certainly warm enough.

    « Fantastic Hotel...Had a Great Stay. »

Williams is such a lovely town, a must visit along old route 66, and this Best Western Plus is a terrific place to stay. Everything is very nice, including the staff. We had a very delicious dinner in the restaurant complete with drinks and live music. The room was clean and quiet with a comfy bed. The morning breakfast buffet was great with hot eggs and choices for everyone. We will definitely be returning for another visit.

« Best Western Plus in Williams AZ »

A very nice quality motel, well worth the BEST WESTERN title of PLUS !!!!!!! Our friends and us were driving route 66 from Chicago to Santa Monica CA. to celebrate our 50th year wedding anniversary. The rooms were nice, food was great, service was also top notch. Thanks.

    « Very pet friendly! »

Pet rooms are average size, located on ground level on the end for easy convenience to outdoors. Breakfast is good and included. The steak house for dinner is one of the best! Have stayed here at least four times now and consistently good food, good staff. We have a small dog who will bark if we leave in room, if you notify the staff your dog can be with you in the lounge area while you enjoy your meal as long as the dog is well behaved.

    « Rte-66 & Grand Canyon Trip »

We recently adopted a small dog and this is one of the few locations that will allow them at a very reasonable cost! The staff and hotel was great. Williams is a great Rte. 66 destination and Grand Canyon speaks for itself.

    « Convenient and Comfortable »

We would stay here again. This facility is clean and comfortable, and the rooms are large, which is wonderful for a multi-night stay. We loved the comfortable bed and having a couch in the room. I dislike having to sit or lie on a bed to watch television. The room was quiet with no outside noise from neighbors. There are a couple of negatives. The elevator is at the end of the hotel, which was not convenient because we stayed in the opposite wing of the hotel. Breakfast is just so so. If we travel again to see the Grand Canyon, we will stay at this hotel.

    « An Average Hotel »

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights on our trip to the Grand Canyon. I booked it after reading reviews and because it was a good price. This isn't a bad hotel but it is definitely showing some age and could use some updating. The lighting in the rooms is awful! The mirror outside of the bathroom would be perfect to do makeup but the lighting is too dim to do that. The bed was comfortable though and I liked that the room had a fridge. The other issue that I had with this hotel was the live music. Our room was on the second floor only 2 away from the open lobby and we could hear the music in our room. I don't mind live music in a hotel but after we had traveled all day to get there we just wanted to relax and go to bed early so we could head to the Grand Canyon the next day and that was difficult with the music playing. Maybe the music needs to be a little softer or maybe they need to add some soundproofing in the rooms close to the lobby. I don't know the best option but that is definitely something I would change. The breakfast buffet was very good and well stocked and the hotel itself is in a beautiful location but probably wouldn't stay here again until it has a serious overhaul.

    4
« Clean, Basic, Good Value »

We were not disappointed. We would stay here again. They have a fire pit, pool and jacuzzi that are both ADA accessible. When we arrived there was live music. The restaurant was overpriced for our vacation budget but there were many other options close by. We would stay here again.

« Nice hotel near Grand Canyon »

The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very nice, clean, and quite. There was very little noise. The only problem that we encountered was the room cards not working. We were constantly getting a new room card to open the door. Each time we had to go to the office to obtain a new card.

« Great Stay at Best Western Plus »

I took my three kids to Williams, AZ to see Bearizona and the Grand Canyon Deer Farm. We arrived the day before so we could get an early start. We all loved the hotel and free breakfast. The staff was nice, the lobby looked great, and there were plenty of cool things in the gift show. In the room, the Beds were much better than I was expecting

    « An OK place... »

We got to the hotel a bit early and asked if we could leave our luggage in a storage area till check-in time... The unenthusiastic staff informed us that was not possible (?!) and made no effort to accommodate our request... In the meantime it turned out our rooms were actually ready and so the issue became mute... We had issues with the entry cards but they were taken care of.. The breakfast spread is pretty good and the staff is friendly... The rooms are pretty "tired" and worn out but are OK.... If you are planning to use the pool or hot tub (have not seen anyone using them) make sure you bring a gown or something since you'll have to parade through a fairly busy area between the pool and your room...

    « 2nd Trip »

Hotel is clean and pleasant. Staff is always available to assist. Continental breakfast is a pleasant treat. Food is good and available in the mornings. Location is away from road noise. Parking is abundant.

« Staff and owners that really make you feel at home.. »

My wife and I first stayed here 6 years ago while on our honeymoon, we were treated just like family. Very nice beds and plenty of space to relax and watch TV or read a book. The hotel is approx. 62 miles from the Grand Canyon and just off Route 66. We were on our way back home and we decided to stay there again in March of 2016. When we went to check in the front desk staff remembered us from 6 years ago and that made us feel special... They have a great restaurant and a bar and the food is fresh and made to order.. Very quiet...

« Really Enjoyable and reasonably priced. »

Everything about this hotel and staff really added to enjoyment of our trip to the Grand Canyon on the train. Breakfast buffet was great and the outdoor fire pit was so nice. Baggage carts were everywhere, didn't have to go far to find one. The setting in the forest was beautiful and loved the American flag on the flagpole.

« Good but not Great »

Stayed 2 nights, FRI and SAT. Nice location and well maintained grounds. Rooms a bit dated but ok. Small Bathroom. Very comfortable beds... foam I believe. Key Card didn't work on the 2nd day which is always a hassle to replace. HVAC fan would not run constantly on manual setting so it kicked on and off all night. Complimentary breakfast very good. Well laid out and plenty of tables and space to eat. Checked out the menu for the restaurant.. most items seemed to be over the top pricey, so we didn't even consider eating there. Fajitas $21 plus, Side of sour cream $3.25!, chicken breast dinner $21, Side of rice $6.75. No sandwiches of any kind. No thanks.. plenty of other places to choose from nearby.

    « The Best »

This was the perfect home for two nights to see GC for the two of us. Great bed, big room. GREAT food and wonderful young staff. We loved Brooke the first night and Sergio the second night. The BIGGEST glasses of wine found anywhere. Class act. Highly recommend!

    « Stay and Enjoy! »

The rooms are large and comfortable. Breakfast was better than most. We had our Golden Retriever with us and they had plenty of pet rooms! Williams is a fun town to be in. An hour drive to the Grand Canyon Bearizona is a must to see. Spent 3 hours and enjoyed every minute!

    5
    « Pleasantly Surprised »

Decided to take grandkids to Grand Canyon and Bearizona. We were planning on staying with friends in Flagstaff, but realized we would be driving an extra hour the next day, so we decided to find a hotel in Williams. We didn't have a reservation, but we stopped to check Best Western they had the rooms available, we weren't expecting the nice room. The staff was friendly and had a great free breakfast next morning. It's a nice little gem in Williams. Clean room, good breakfast, friendly staff who could ask for more. They also had music in the lobby, but we got in to late to enjoy it, the kids were tired and needed to get to bed. Coming back to Williams in July, planning on staying here again.

« Convenient to interstate, but not my first choice for Grand Canyon visit »

The hotel is about an hour (2-lane road with considerable traffic) south of the South Rim entrance. I've stayed in many Best Westerns over the years, and I thought this one was fine, but not worth the inflated price ($179.00 for one mid-week night). It's advertised as "close to the Grand Canyon", but there is actually another new Best Western much closer (probably a 10-minute drive from the Grand Canyon), and only slightly more expensive per night. The rooms were basic and functional. One of the bedside lamps didn't work, and the furnishings were a little outdated. Again, fine for a BW, but I've spent less money at much nicer hotels. The desk staff when I checked in were friendly and helpful. The woman at the desk when I left was very chatty with the couple in line in front of me, but did not speak to me except to say "do you want the charge on your card?" I tried engaging her in a conversation about the town, and she ignored me while she processed my check-out paperwork, and never thanked me for staying there, asked me about my stay, or even said "have a nice day" when I walked out. If I'm ever in that area again, I won't stay there. It isn't that it's a bad place to stay, it was clean and safe. However, I'd rather be closer to the Grand Canyon or at least stay somewhere that the staff speaks to guests and the price doesn't exceed the room quality or the service.

« Great motel choice for a visit to the Grand Canyon »

Spent 2 nights here in order to take the Grand Canyon Railway trip. The motel is very nice and very clean. Liked the location just outside the business area; woodsy and quiet. They have a very good breakfast buffet; one of the better complimentary ones. My only complaint was the temperature of the shower water was not hot enough. Would definitely stay here again if I was in the area.

« Great Place to stay when visiting Grand Canyon »

Service is wonderful. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are simple but comfortable and clean. Breakfast and cleaning service is impeccable. The quality/price was perfect for our budget. The property is very pleasant. Really enjoyed our stay.

    « Fabulous! »

Been a Best Western member since 2003....this one is my fav! Tucked away in the woods so it's quiet and restful. Great rooms! But the real kicker is their restaurant! It's a little speedy but worth it! Great service and awesome food! Will be staying here again for sure!

« Best Western Williams AZ »

Great service, great hotel, great price. This is the 6th Best Western we have been to in over the past year or so. Every stay has been good with Williams at the top of the list. Really liked to onsite restaurant. In the side of a hill on route 66 was a perfect location. Easy to get into Williams for shopping and for getting to the Grand Canyon.

    5
« Good choice for an overnight stay »

We stayed one night at this hotel before heading up to the Grand Canyon for a few days. It's very conveniently located right off the interstate in a nice, wooded, somewhat secluded setting. Everything about our brief stay was good - staff were friendly and helpful, the room was fine, bed was comfortable, and the free breakfast was a bonus. Definitely recommend!

    « Best Western Plus - Williams - A Pleasant Surprise »

This was a wonderful, quiet stay in a very friendly, fun town. The hotel staff were so friendly. This is a perfect place to stay if you are visiting the Grand Canyon. We also enjoyed the many Route 66 shops and eateries.

« Quality Staff And Guests - Outstanding Kachina Collection »

This is an absolutely lovely little jewel right at the intersection of I-40 and Old Route 66 in Williams AZ, slightly west of Flagstaff. Its Kachina collection is most interesting and (for us) worth stopping there just to observe. On this trip we arrived mid-afternoon so we could sit outdoors near the fire-pit and talk with another couple, while enjoying the smell of the pines and a nice glass of wine. We could see and hear those who preferred the pool, but the way the two areas are separated kept the noise down. It is nicely wooded in back and conveniently located for activities in the area, such as a golf course and a train to Grand Canyon. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and similar to those of a slightly upscale Marriott or Holiday Inn. All staff were efficient and very congenial. Many things associated with our stay exceeded our expectations, but one thing in particular. We lost a ring. One of the guests found it and it was returned to us. That kind of integrity in both staff and guests is very reassuring nowadays! Restaurant very good. Kachina Bar unique. Occasional live entertainment.

    « Grand Canyon Trip »

Excellent hotel. Price was right. Williams has a lot to offer on old Route 66. We had a few drinks in the hotel lounge, very good service. Musician playing in the lobby. They had a pit fire going outside. Our room was very clean with everything you needed. Quiet. Great breakfast in the morning that is included in the room rate. Would stay here again. In fact we wish we would have stayed here the night after our visit rather in Tusayan AZ following our day at the Grand Canyon. Excellent customer service.

« Depends on What You're Comparing It With »

My wife and I stayed here for one night during a trip from Scottsdale to the Grand Canyon and Sedona. Clearly a cut above the usual hotel/motel in the immediate area. Plus side includes very comfortable bed, reasonable rates, extremely friendly and accommodating front desk and staff. If you're looking for a bit of luxury and elegance, this might not be the ideal place, because the furniture and decor are a bit time worn in both style and condition The restaurant is pleasant, with decent food and good service, and the breakfast buffet is quite good, depending on what you're comparing it with. We were not there long enough to take advantage of the exercise room (which looked very good), the evening campfire or the bar.

    « A pleasnt experience »

We stayed art the Best Western in Williams, Az. to be close to the Grand Canyon the following day. We were very pleased to see they had a restaurant in the hotel. The food was excellent and the staff in the restaurant and hotel were very friendly. The room was clean, nicely furnished, and quiet. We definitely recommend this hotel.

    5
« Wonderful place to stay »

This hotel was in a beautiful setting, was clean, comfortable, and quiet. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Williams, but close enough to be very convenient. Couldn't ask for much more, and for a reasonable price as well.

« Wonderful stopover and place to see everything.. »

My husband and I traveled to California for my brothers funeral. We had planned a road trip but didn't make it in time. Things happen for a reason and I believe though it was a sad event my brother would have wanted us to see all the beautiful things that we took in. We always prefer Best Westerns. We traveled to Reno and stayed at a Best Western plus for several days, it was nice but pricey and did not include free breakfast. We had stayed at Best Western in Ridgecrest California for a week before heading to Reno and it included Breakfast. After leaving Reno we started our trip back home to N.Y. With another night stay in Ridgecrest, but no rooms at Best Western and the place we stayed was awful.. We traveled on and when tired we inquired about the best town to stop at for a Best Western, it was here in Williams Arizona.. What a great find, free breakfast, great gift shop , reasteaurant, bar, entertainment, sauna, outside fire pits, beautiful cabin resort look with fireplaces, laundry facilities,Staff was friendly and caring.. Route 66 is right there , we saw a lot of things, Grand Canyon, Bedrock, Bearazona zoo, so many places to travel .. Great treat.. Go there..

Spent one night and was very pleased. They accommodate if you are traveling with a pet. Clean rooms, delicious breakfast and friendly staff. Pool and hot tub if you need to relax after a long day's drive. Nice lounge too! Highly recommend!

« A lovely place to stay and friendly welcoming staff »

The staff gave us great directions on getting to our room using the elevator. Hot tub was absolutely perfect and enjoyed every moment. Did some laundry and everything worked there as well. Would gladly stay here again.

« This hotel does not pay attention to your needs »

Didn't read our request to have 2 rooms together. We traveled from Nebraska to see family and when we checked in our rooms were on 2 different floors instead of next to each other like promised when we booked the rooms.

    5
    « First rate experience »

highly recommended, front desk staff is particularly pleasant and welcoming. They were a great help with local dining suggestions and directions. This is the perfect place to spend the night before heading to the grand canyon. It's an easy drive to get to the park entrance before the crowds so there's plenty of parking available.

    4
    « Cost of Room »

Great hotel but cost of room did not compare to what it really should have been, spring break so they jack up the price of the rooms, did not care for that. Staff was great, singer during evening was weak, talked to songs, did not sing to them and had a very eek voice, needs to step it up a bit

    4
« Very Happy with our Stay »

We chose to stay here before heading up to the Grand Canyon (about 50 miles away). This is a nice mid-range hotel that is clean, has terrific service and a nice bar and restaurant. This isn't a high-end, 4 star place, but this is a very solid, nice place.

    4
« Great Place to Stay »

We would definitely stay here again. The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant, the building was in good repair, and the public areas and room were clean and attractively decorated. They also had a very good hot breakfast. The eggs were kept at the right temperature - didn't get dry & hard - what a treat! The hotel is set on a hill away from train noise, but close enough to town.

    3
    « Could be worse »

The room was fine. A little small compared to other rooms I've stayed at with this rate. The bed was very uncomfortable. Did not sleep well at all. Up every 15 minutes. Basically ruined our entire vacation because my wife and I were exhausted the next day.

    3
    « Was just "okay" »

The hotel location is great. The hotel is dated, however, and the rooms are dingy and dark. There is also not much insulation so you can hear everything. The breakfast was very good, however. Internet reception was spotty.

    5
« Very nice hotel with all that you need »

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. They had a cute lounge and bar area. Gift shop and snacks. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice and clean and the beds comfortable. The only complaint I have is that it would have been nice to have a small microwave. During the morning they have free continental breakfast and at night it becomes a steakhouse. WE recommend the artichoke/spinach dip. it has a bit of chipotle flavor but its not spicy at all. Very yummy.. French onion soup was tasty. My bro n law had his steak medium well and said it was soft. I had mine medium and felt it a bit chewy.. but all the food was good.! It is very close to downtown Williams which is like going back in time. SO cute!

    « Quiet, handy »

We stayed here three nights while visiting the Grand Canyon and Flagstaff. Nice location, short drive to 'touristy' Route 66 part of Williams, only an hour from Canyon, but far from the maddening crowds. Plenty of good local restaurants. Nice clean hotel with pretty trees in a nice little town. Friendly and helpful staff.

    5
    « Wonderful place »

Exceptional, friendly, helpful staff. Our group stayed in 3 King-bed rooms, all were very clean, comfy and spacious. Great hot breakfast, but we especially enjoyed the beautiful outside fire pit where we could hear the nightly lounge live music.

    4
« Much better than Anticipated »

I was pleasantly surprised about my stay at the Best Western. Seeing that it was in such a small town, I didn't expect much from the hotel but I was very happy with my stay. Very clean, comfortable beds with an extremely nice and helpful staff. It also includes a pool for the hotter months and a fire pit for the cooler times which were both nice touches. The continental breakfast was outstanding. Overall, I would definitely stay here again if looking to head to the Grand Canyon.

    2
« Not concerned about guest safety »

When I asked for a shower chair, I was told that since the ADA did not require them, they didn't provide them. I'm not sure what the ADA has to do with it, but obviously they don't feel it necessary to provide for their guests' comfort and safety.

« Good option in a small town * Best breakfast * Bring your own light bulbs »

Williams is a small town (population 3000) but is a popular staging area for visiting the Grand Canyon. Best Western Plus provides a clean and reasonably priced lodging option. I would rate it average, but considering the location I bumped it up a notch. Also, it had the best complimentary breakfast we've ever encountered. Like other low to middle priced hotels, they have made the unfortunate switch to florescent lighting in the rooms. If you find that sort of lighting unpleasant, bring a couple of incandescent bulbs with you from home and enjoy the stay. The bed was very comfortable.

    5
« Great place when visiting the Grand Canyon »

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights while visiting the Grand Canyon and the Petrified Forest National Parks. It is convenient to the GCNP and Williams is a nice town. The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The hot breakfast is excellent with scrambled eggs, biscuits and sausage each day to go along with the standard fare of yogurt, cereal, muffins, and pastries. The also have a pancake machine that makes pancakes on demand. This hotel offers high value for the cost and it is in a beautiful location.

    5
    « Fantastic hotel »

We stayed here two nights and absolutely loved it! The rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious and fresh. The hotel is very clean and all the staff were friendly and helpful. There was a fire pit outside in the evenings. It was a one hour drive to the Grand Canyon. Highly recommend this hotel!!

« Convenient and quite location surrounded by a lot of trees »

Williams is a small town with a train depot to the south rim of Grand Canyon. There are some hotels/motels in the town and this one could be one of the best ranked in terms of hotel class. It is located at a convenient location, close to the entrance of Highway 40 and to the train depot with a short driving distance. The building itself is reasonably well kept outside and inside the public areas, such as lobby, pub and restaurant. The staff was nice. Somehow, its logistic/housekeeping seemed to be lagged behind the standard of Best Western. We stayed there two nights for taking a train with kid to Grand Canyon, where we drove there multiple times. Initially, we were accidentally assigned a partially cleaned room but were immediately offered to another cleaned room after telling the front desk. However, the new room was too dark and therefore we decided to stay in that room after they completely cleaned it up. Unexpected thing happened at 5:00 am in next morning, we received a wake-up call that we didn't request. I talked with the front desk, they said it was a mistake and would fix it. However, another unexpected wake-up call came in again at 5:00 am in the second morning. I talked with the front desk again and was told that they couldn't find where it went wrong. We had great time taking the train to Grand Canyon but the stay at this hotel was really a disappointment because of these incidents.

    « Williams, AZ »

We stayed 2 nights and the room was clean and nice. Staff was very friendly. The ladies at the front counter were having problems with the key cards to the rooms not working, which is completely not their fault, even though there were people giving them a hard time about it. Yes, it was frustrating, but completely out of their control. So please, Corporate, change out the door locks for these nice folks!! The gift shop and lounge were expensive, I think they could have been a little more accommodating to guests staying there, but again not the employees fault. They did have entertainment one night, a gentleman singing, so that was nice. Overall, this hotel is nice and very clean. The staff is very nice! Also, on the patio, they have a fire pit they light up at night, something nice for folks relaxing or smoking.

« Best in many ways »

This hotel earns a top rating since every aspect of our experience was pleasant and we did not find anything negative about it. We booked a single king with a sofa and there was plenty of room and the rate was very reasonable (off season?). The location off the main drag is great. The on-site restaurant and the staff there was great. Everything was in good condition and very clean. They even had entertainment in the lounge! We'll definitely go back there when we travel through again.

« Close to Grand Canyon, Sedona and Customer service excellence »

We stayed here February 24-25th. All of the staff - front desk, lounge, restaurant, cleaning staff were exceptional. I cannot say enough about the staff at this hotel. Check in was a breeze, Patty at the front desk always had the time for our questions. The Grand Canyon and Sedona are only an hours drive. The hotel is located just outside historic Williams, on Route 66. The room was clean, and quiet and the bed was heavenly to sleep on. We had dinner twice in the restaurant and we were happy with the food. Breakfast was hot and the service in the restaurant really good. The lounge was excellent, the music artist extremely friendly and a pleasure to listen to. We would return again.

    « Lovely Stay »

My wife and I were showing the Grand Canyon to her 24 year old niece from Serbia. We wanted a place to stay that was convenient to the Grand Canyon and to Sedona - and we liked the connection of Williams to Route 66. We had visited Williams, Az before on several occasions but stayed somewhere else. I found the Best Western on Tripadvisor - and it had great ratings and reasonable prices. We had two rooms adjacent to each other. The rooms were quite large and clean - though not brand newly decorated. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is a bit out of the main drag in Williams - and in the forest. It snowed a bit and that was also very pretty. The breakfast was adequate - but not spectacular. They did have scrambled eggs and sausage and biscuits and gravy on the buffet. I would recommend this place. It quiet, clean and pretty. It is about an hour and half from here to the Grand Canyon and about the same from here to Sedona.

    « Glad we stayed. »

We came to Williams for Bearizona and the Grand Canyon. We enjoyed our stay at BW. We called ahead to let them know we would be coming in from Vegas for a late check in. The lady that answer the phone was really friendly and helpful. When we got there to check in I can only assume the friendly face I was greeted by was the same person I had talked to earlier. We were pleasantly surprised by the free breakfast. We don't travel much but we have stayed places where the breakfast was just cereal and juice or not at all. So that's what we expected. We came in to find all the normal stuff like cereal but also actual eggs, sausage, pancakes and biscuits & gravy. It's nice to have choices, especially when your travel companions are 3 kids with different food taste. We would gladly stay here again. ??

    « Pleasant Surprise!! »

We spent a couple of days here with friends while in Williams just last week. What a nice, friendly and clean place! Staff was wonderful. You can't ask for a better view and the restaurant was amazing! Absolutely delicious food and incredibly nice people. The patio outside was great and must be wonderful in the summer. They had a huge fire pit and we were actually able to sit out there even though it was a chilly night. We were definitely warm enough. We would go back in a minute and definitely will recommend it!!!

« Excellent property and service »

The property is well kept up and the staff were friendly and helpful. I was particularly impressed by the breakfast -- quality food and they used real plates and silverware -- unusual for most hotel breakfasts these days

« Great Value near the Grand Canyon! »

The staff were very professional and courteous. The fitness center was great. The breakfast was exceptional. The hotel is located about one hour south of the Grand Canyon and it is an easy day trip to visit the South Rim. The only con about the hotel was that they play continual country music from sometime before noon until almost 10 pm. The speakers are near the pool and on the side of the hotel that faces the I-40. With our window closed in our room, we were still able to hear it. I informed the hotel about it after our stay, so perhaps they have turned it down or best bet....OFF. There was not much to do in Williams. Many business were closed because it was off season.

« Very nice Best Western »

We stayed here two nights. We were happy with the large room that faced the beautiful forest. It was quiet, clean and served a full breakfast in the morning. It's close to downtown Williams which is a delightful little city and the gateway to the Grand Canyon. They have entertainment in the lounge in the evenings. They also have a beautiful firepit area on the pation with seating around it. We will definitely stay here again.

    « Great Hotel »

Staff very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the hot tub. There was an outdoor fire pit. Lovely addition to have a drink by the fire before retiring. Rooms were big and beds comfortable. Cozy bar area. We were taking the Grand Canyon train; hotel is very conveniently located near the depot. Restaurant menu could have been a bit more diversified for dinner. Unfortunately had a rude waiter. Never came to get our dinner order. I had to get up and get him. Then after taking our order he sent another waiter to serve us. What does that say to us? Morning staff at breakfast very welcoming and helpful thank goodness. Breakfast very good and diversified. Coffee available all day long.. Very dog friendly; my dog was able to be with us when we dined. Not much grass of field for walks however but we made do.

    « Hidden Gem »

We were travelling with no set plans and found ourselves exhausted by the time we got to Williams. We drove all through town to see what hotels there were and way at the end of town was The Best Western. The hotel is well appointed and decorated uniquely with a huge Chiquina collection. Appies in the lounge was very enjoyable with sports on the big tv and great service. Room nice and clean and bed super comfy. But the real standout was Lacy working at the front desk. She booked the next 3 Best Western stays for us in 2 different cities. This helped us out SO much! Also, the complimentary breakfast was amazing!

    « Grand Canyon Trip »

We left AZ had lunch in Sedona and carried on to Williams. Not much to see or do there but the stay at the BW hotel was a good experience. except for the entainment. The singer was simply awful. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

« Just what we needed after a day on the road »

Our room was fresh, beautiful, and clean with a nice view of the mountains. We really enjoyed sitting around the firepit with a hot cup of tea and enjoyed a steak in the dining room later. The live entertainment was very nice considering I'm not usually a fan of it. Breakfast was very enjoyable. I couldn't recommend this Best Western more. It was an easy-going, pleasant, relaxing experience that made me feel happy and well rested.

    « Relax »

Omar's lounge show, very relaxing & enjoyable. Tonya (Lounge) fast friendly service. Front desk staff always friendly & responsive to all request. Maint. responded right away to an issue with refrigerator.

    « Family trip »

We stayed here in the middle of feb to visit Bearizona and the Grand Canyon. It was awesome. Their rooms are clean and spacious, their steak house was amazing and they had live entertainment that sang great kid songs while my kids were in there and their breakfast Buffett was out of this world. Anything you could dream of they had to choose from and it was all great tasting. Will most def stay there again in the future. It also is nestled in a pretty part of the Forrest on a hill. Highly recommend.

    « A+ in my book »

I had a great overall experience at Best Western is a plus; close to many tourist attractions love the location and great customer service. It nothing like a location for many accommodation to your needs with hot breakfast included. Very family friendly; I enjoyed the fitness center after breakfast the indoor hot pool open as well and a Business center. ******* A+ in my book we will be back.

« Great Value and Friendly Staff »

I found this hotel to be a very good value with friendly staff. Only a half hour drive to Flagstaff, and an hour from the South Rim. Breakfast was decent, but cane with the price ($50 per night) so no complaints. Dinner was very good good was attentive servers and live entertainment. Internet service worked fine as did the wireless network. I would recommend staying at this hotel instead of paying double in Flagstaff.

    5
« Best Western, Williams AZ »

if going to the Grand Canyon, I strongly recommend this hotel, clean, friendly, professional staff... you feel you are at a 5 star resort, with out the cost, breakfast was wonderful and restaurant was equally wonderful.... when we got there we went outside where there was a fire and sat outside and visited with other guys and enjoyed the fresh night air and the stars.. it was relaxing

    5
« Gateway to Grand Canyon »

This is a very good value hotel if you are visiting the Grand Canyon or traveling along Interstate 40. The setting is very attractive (tall windows in public rooms overlook lovely alpine views), the breakfast is very good, the staff is friendly and accommodating, the rooms are pleasant and comfortable, accessibility from I-40 is easy & there is a gas station near the hotel's long drive-way entrance, parking is convenient, the hotel is pet friendly if a bit expensive in that area ($25.00), and the overall price is good considering its proximity to the Grand Canyon. The value is much better than Flagstaff and is worth the extra 30 minutes drive. The old town of Williams looks cute although I have not had time to explore.

    « A Gem of a Place! »

We stayed her over Valentine's weekend and we were very satisfied with our stay here. The hotel offer's a lot for your buck. A free hot breakfast buffet each morning to start off with. I wasn't impressed with the buffet scrambled eggs but the pancakes, sausage and gravy were tasty. We also liked that this hotel has a lounge with and restaurant that stays open till 10pm. I had a French Onion soup that was excellant and my husband ordered baby back ribs which was also very good. There is live music on the weekend until 9pm which was cool. There is a nice deck outside the lounge with a fire pit you can sit around. The pool and hot tub was not open due to season but we are planning on coming back to stay here in the summer. The hotel sets up on a hill so there is a view overlooking a field that I hear guest often see. The only con i can say is the beds. Unfortunately, the beds are not the most comfortable but amenities and the staff make up for the beds.

    « Great Stay! »

Traveling group of 8 (so we had 2 rooms), on spur of the moment trip to Grand Canyon. Made reservations online having never seen this location. What a fabulous surprise! Such a wonderful hotel! Clean and cozy, spacious rooms - (Bath & Body ammenities). Well stocked gift shop. Friendly, helpful staff. Great food at the breakfast buffet. Hot tub was hot and spacious. Onsite coin laundry needs new equipment! Did a couple loads of laundry, and had to fiddle with the machines the entire cycles as it didn't have the gumption to get the loads done, nor to dry efficiently - however, that's a hard one for hotel management as most people overload the equipment, cramming too much in. Refrigerator in room with microwave located in the laundry room, it too seems to have been mistreated by careless guests. Def will go back there. Loved this place.

« Feels like home, A quiet Oasis »

This hotel offers guests a lot. Rooms are clean and spacious -not fancy but very comfortable. Breakfast is great with pancakes, biscuits and gravy, sausage, cereal, muffins, eggs, and the list goes on. They have a pool, jacuzzi, weight room, and an outdoor fire pit. There is a lounge and a steakhouse restsurant. I liked that the tables and chairs in the area between the steakhouse and lounge makes it nice for families as you can sit with a drink and listen to the live music without being in the bar. Hotel is pet friendly and they have a nice gift shop. Only 1 mile or so from the main town of Williams. But so quiet nestled in the trees and plenty of free parking. I will be back for sure.

    « Super Value »

Visited while on lengthy road-trip. Exceptionally excellent facility with superb amenities/ Wonderful stay and the price was right! Easily the nicest facility that we stayed at while on a leisure trip. Served as our home-base for visiting the South Rim of the Grand Canyon and the historic community of Williams, AZ.

« Nice alternative to expensive Canyon Hotels »

Very nice hotel. Clean and well cared for. Rooms very spacious and with all the amenities needed for an overnight stay. Historic Williams is very interesting. Pine Country Restaurant was a good choice for a simple meal. Beds are very comfortable and each bed has lots of comfy pillows.

« Great stay at Williams »

We got a great room with balcony. Very spacious, very clean. A bit out dated but nothing broken because of age. Breakfast was ok. We skipped it as there were no real vegetarian options. It is conveniently located so you can use it as a base station for visiting the Grand Canyon and Sedona. Both fantastic places.

« Great hotel, clean, nice staff, and reasonably priced »

We highly recommend this Best Western. Very clean, nice staff, very good restaurant with entertainment, and reasonably priced. You really can't ask for any more.....no disappointments with this place.

« Nice Stop in Williams »

Good Best Western in Williams, just a little out of the way of the main town - if you want a quieter stay. Great location to stop before getting the train to the Grand Canyon. Staff was very accommodating and breakfast was tasty. Only downside is that the elevator is located at one end of the hotel making it a long hike to get to - if you are on the second floor at the opposite end.

    « Lovely hotel »

We stayed here overnight between visits to the Grand Canyon. The staff were very nice. We came with a pet and expected that the 'pet room' would be not only on the ground floor, but not as nice a other rooms. Much to our delight, the room was lovely and spacious, and looked freshly decorated.

    4
« Good location to visit Grand Canyon »

This was a good location just off I-40 to spend the night and leave early the next morning to visit the Grand Canyon. WIlliams was a nice town nearby to find restaurants etc. About 1 hours by car to the Grand Canyon

    « Fantastic »

Only stayed one night on our way to the Grand Canyon and we loved it. We were on a road trip in the USA from Australia & had booked other accommodation in Williams but not happy with the correspondence. As our 12 year old got sick we decided to find a nice warm hotel and this place was perfect, it was winter with snow on the ground & bloody cold. This place was warm, had comfy beds & good included breakfast and as our room was basically next to the in house restaurant we decided to go there for dinner. The food was great & the service even better. Don't waste your time anywhere else, the room rates are good & the service awesome

    5
    « Superior quality »

The rate for the quality of the property was much better than normal to my surprise and greatly appreciated. The surrounding area is beautiful and serene - away from hub bub but very accessible to local attractions.

« Best Western of Williams »

Great hotel. Good value for what you get! Easy to get to off of the highway, but still close to town if you need anything. I have stayed here several times over the years while traveling thru the area, and my stays here have always been pleasant.

    « Excellent Customer Service »

A great hotel that could easily be missed. It is well maintained and the grounds are gorgeous. Staff friendly fast and efficient. When we first arrived our toilet wouldn't flush but it was fixed immediately. Breakfast was excellent. They have a restaurant on site and live entertainment nightly. The only downside was that the hot water wasn't scolding. Beds were comfy. We will definitely recommend and will visit again

    « Excellent experience. »

Excellent experience - from registration through checkout including a wonderful experience at the hotel restaurant. The restaurant was upscale with deep comfortable seating and a view of the courtyard. Room was spacious and very clean as were the restroom facilities. Registration desk was efficient, courteous, friendly and helpful. We are definitely planning to return! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

« Great Best Western Plus Inn »

This Inn was an excellent choice for us. The place is very clean, the staff is friendly and helpful and there is a great restaurant in same building. In bad weather it is so convenient to stay in and yet have a great meal. There was live music in the evening as well. The fitness is awesome. Will stay there again and highly recommend it to others.

« Shhhhhh.......Don't tell anyone about this little gem. »

For $53 a night you get: A very nice room with 2 queen beds. Free Parking. Free Wifi. Free Breakfast. Divide that by 3 (our family) = great accommodations for under $20 a day per person. The hotel is nothing fancy. Understated but clean rooms and honest value for the price. Where can you go with your family and get that kind of deal? Ok, so the breakfast isn't worth raving about, but when you get up in the morning, you can go down the hall to the restaurant in your PJ's and have a basic, decent breakfast, good coffee without going through an ordeal to get the family ready for a trip to go eat. On the other hand, dinner at the restaurant was amazing. Friday night Prime Rib Special, $27.50 includes a full course dinner including dessert. I started out with a bowl of green chile pork stew that could have been a meal in itself. Intense flavor and hearty. One of the best I have ever had. Next was a boneless 10 ounce cut of prime rib along with a baked potato, fresh sauteed green beans followed by a made to order fresh baked cookie in a cast iron skillet topped with ice cream and a caramel, chocolate sauce. Outrageous! This is an off season little gem that is perfectly located in an area with tons of things to do. Sixty miles from the Grand Canyon, minutes from Bearizona, and other fun family activities. The town of Williams is a quaint little town with great food and activities. In my opinion, the winter months are the best time to visit the Grand Canyon. It is beautiful covered in snow. The rates are cheaper and you don't have to fight any crowds whatsoever.

    « Great Place! »

We love to drive up and stay here when it's snowy and play. It's very clean and EVERYONE is very nice. It's a very friendly property and we love the fireplace and outdoor fire-pit. The bar is always staffed with awesome people. The streaks in the restaurant are very good. The breakfast could use some improving, but it's still not bad for free. :)

« Pretty Good Budget Hotel »

We were visiting northern Arizona this winter to enjoy the snowfall. All hotels in Flagstaff were pretty expensive during the winter holidays, But Best Western in Williams which is only a half an hour drive from Flagstaff offered a pretty good rate. Hotel room was clean and comfortable. The AC/Heater was a little noisy but not too bad. The food at the restaurant was great even though the price is on the little higher side. Over all good value for the money and had a good, comfortable stay.

    « Grand Canyon Visit »

very large room more of a suite comfortably would sleep 4 people, great free breakfast offerings although the layout could be much improved and the attention paid by staff member improved lack of plates and cutlery which could be taken care of easily. great location for grand canyon visit close to freeways and lots of parking

    « Nice place »

My family and I had a really nice stay. Everyone was very friendly. The steakhouse was delicious and the rooms were spacious and clean. The only downfall was that the beds were hard. Hope they fix this before our next visit

We delighted in 5 days of cozy comfort and tasty food, as well as friendly and attentive staff service, while nestled in the woodsy setting amid abundantly falling snow! It was beautiful, relaxing, and we felt like part of the family, enjoying interactions with staff as well as intriguing other guests.

« A nice stay in the north country of Arizon »

My wife and I decided to take a leisure trip to enjoy the snowfall in northern AZ so we decided to stay in Williams, AZ. The BW in Williams is located on the far west end of town so it's not affected by the noise from the RR and I-40 traffic making this a very nice location. Since our stay was within the first week of the New Year 2016, all the indoor and outdoor holiday decorations were still up. This made our stay special which added greatly to the holiday ambiance with the fresh falling snow. This is an older property but very well maintained. The hotel lobby has a ?see through? gas fireplace going that is warm and inviting. Our room was clean and comfortable with the exception of the wall mounted AC/Heater unit which was fairly loud and annoying when it turned on. And because the entire hotel is ?Smoke Free? our room, the lobby, restaurant and gift shop doesn't wreak of unpleasant cigarette smoke odors. Most of the staff members were cordial and professional, however ?Patty? at the front desk was an exception and not in a negative way. She is very friendly and pleasant. Her bright smile and warm personality made our welcome feel genuine and sincere, like you're visiting a friend's home rather than checking into a hotel. Both my wife and I experienced this during our interactions with her. We also recognized her to the hotel management. However during our check out, other employees were not so attentive or professional. I've reported this to the management as well and I believe this to be an isolated case. This is the only reason I didn't rate the "Service" attribute as "Excellent". Overall our stay was a very good experience with no real problems encountered. I would highly recommend this hotel to others who are looking for a nice getaway in the beautiful pines of Arizona's north country.

    5
« Quiet stay in the pines. »

When staying in Williams this is the only hotel to choose. Quiet and right off the freeway. Best breakfast included. Lounge, hot pool. store. Rooms are large and refurbished. Even laundry on site. Absolutely excellent in every way.

    « ..Great accommadations - great restaurant... »

I would have give this a 5-star, but there were problems with an incorrect authorization on my credit card, and one of the Front Desk Representatives being rude when I called on it. After that introduction, I'd like to say that I really enjoyed my stay here over the Thanksgiving weekend. All the staff was super nice and very helpful. The rooms were nice and large and kept very CLEAN.. Everything was great here. I enjoyed eating in the restaurant. I was a tad expensive, but the convenience made up for that. The food that I ordered was superb. Honestly, there was too much of it for me. It made for a nice snack at a later date. I would definitely stay here again when I go to the Grand Canyon, which is at least 2 times a year. Highly recommend it...

    « Good Experience »

Good room. Good and hot breakfast. Good location in a historical Williams town. It is a good choice if travelling from Las Vegas as a stop and then go the Grand Canyon on the next day. Close to Flagstaff to enjoy the food and beverage while having the national park experience.

« Best Choice by far in this region »

Traveling across I40 for business I was very fortunate to select this accommodation for my overnight stay. Unique anywhere within 100+ miles in either direction it's in a nice secluded and safe-feeling spot, it's employees top to bottom have been well trained by the excellent management and rival the employees and staff of major hotels in major cities. The lobby and common areas are well appointed and modern for an out of the way motel, the rooms as well are spacious with clean comfortable accommodations, appointments and bedding. Highlight is the quite exceptional restaurant which specializes in steakhouse style specialties. Choice of made to order hot fresh bread to start and very varied menu with terrific food that does not present as typical "hotel" food. Very satisfying meal and service after a long day of driving was well appreciated. Free wifi and free breakfast as well included. This hotel is a win.

    5
    « Is a BW "Plus" for a reason... »

Conveniently located right off of I-40 and Route 66 this BW offers great service from an attentive staff, a beautiful setting, clean comfortable comfortable rooms, and best of all, it's pet friendly. The "plus" is that there is a great restaurant, the Western View Steakhouse. No need to look for another place to eat. Our server couldn't have been better (wish I remembered his name). Try the green chili... This is the fourth year in a row that we have stayed at this BW on our way from CA to NJ. You can be sure that we'll be back again!

« Best hotel in the city »

We try and stay here every time that we are traveling through the area. The ambiance is great and the location is perfect. The restaurant is excellent and the food and service perfect. Our room was great and very comfortable. Check in and out went smoothly and the help at the front desk went over and above to help us.

« Great Stay for Great Price »

Clean, safe, and cozy stay for family. Great price for quality. Full breakfast was a big plus for a family! Taking our puppy with us was a big plus too! Parking was readably available and nearby. Short 5 minute ride to Route 66 was convenient.

« Great hotel and location »

My wife and I travel from Dallas to California a few times a year and have experienced hotels in WInslow, Flagstaff and Williams. This hotel is the best alternative. The property is located right next to I-40, prices are much better than any of the Flagstaff options and the rooms are by far the best of any of the other Best Western offerings in the area. Great place to stay.

    4
    « Very nice place »

Very nice hotel. Really good breakfast service included in price. Rooms are pretty standard. Front desk staff helpful. 1 mile from train depot & rt 66 stores but an easy drive. Good for family going to Grand canyon and looking for town on the way

    « a great place to unwind »

There's no better place in Williams to unwind after a long road trip than the Best Western Plus. The rooms are uniformly large and allow for spreading out, with separate sleeping and sitting areas; the in-house restaurant offers a decent dinner and a sizable buffet breakfast; and the cocktail lounge is great for both conversation and a solitary drink, with minimal distraction from the inevitable sports-tuned flat screen, and good live entertainment on selected evenings. The hotel's enviable location in the piney woods on the outskirts of Williams makes for a secluded, restful sleep. Some may find a drawback in the short distance from the bustling Route 66 commercial area, but the shops and restaurants are only a minute or two by car.

    5
    « Fantastic property »

The hotel was very clean and the staff was pleasant. It was a nice stay. I was very happy to find that the fitness center is open 24 hours. I am a light sleeper and workout before 5:00am on most days. Although the fitness center is small, it had a cable pulley system, bike, treadmill and elliptical machine. I would absolutely stay there again.

    5
    « Great Hotel! »

Had to spend a night in Williams on a business trip and read prior reviews of the Best Western, decided to give it a shot. The hotel is beautiful, full steakhouse restaurant and lounge in the lobby. Really reasonable rates that include a full breakfast. Staff couldn't be any nicer and the room was exceptional. Even had my favorite Bath and Body Works soaps and shampoos rather than cheap hotel brands. Will definitely stay again and would highly recommend this place!

« Nice and Clean for the Family »

We just stayed at the Inn. The facility was nice and clean. Kids loved the fire pit. The hotel provided smores for the family. (You had to purchase your own chocolate. No big deal.) Free breakfast was awesome! Overall, great value for the money.

    3
« Adequate for the price - barely »

Near the freeway, and a short drive into town. The room (108) turned out to be a handicapable room, with appropriate modifications - except we aren't disabled. No tub. The bathroom smelled very musty. The walls are VERY thin - and the hotel made no attempt to stop kids running and screaming in the hallways up to 10 at night. At breakfast, the biscuits were stale and inedible - the staff didn't care much, but eventually just removed the stale food - they didn't replace it. The restaurant is horribly overpriced - $30 and more for entrees. Overall, it was adequate, but not really worth the $135 we paid for the night.

    5
    « really nice »

We were not sure about staying in a Best Western since our last experience in one was very bad, but the Best Wester Plus in Williams, AZ was really, really nice. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas, and you can tell that the family who owns the hotel takes a great deal of pride in their hotel. The food in the restaurant was delicious. The room was very nice and spacious. We didn't spend time outdoors, but they had a really nice outdoor fire pit and hot tub.

    3
    « Good place »

This place was better than expected with a full bar/lounge area and a restaurant at night. All though the prices at the restaurant are way too over priced you're better off getting dinner elsewhere. It's conveniently located 5 minutes from the polar express train ride. Rooms are small but they do the job would stay here again verses other hotels in town.

    5
    « Polar Express/Grand Canyon »

We stayed here for our trip on the Polar Express. Its location was nice. 45 minutes from the Grand Canyon and a stones throw from the train station. Jacuzzi was hot and we enjoyed it while snowing! Food was good and plentiful. Rooms are easy access with exit doors to the parking lot. Fire pit was going in the evening outside. very nice atmosphere. Will stay here next time. Would recommend for family stays!

    « Pleasant »

Stayed at Best Western in Williams, I would rate it as a pleasant experience. The rooms were acceptable. We used the service of the restaurant inside the hotel and I though the restaurant was quite expensive. However, the service was excellent.

    « Great stay »

This place was great and sits nicely on a hill before town. Loved the view and the area we were in. We were here for the polar express and the staff let us know of a parade and tree lighting that was happening in town.

    « Excellent customer service »

The front desk provided excellent customer service. The staff were friendly and informative. The breakfast served eggs, sausage, cereal, bread, etc. Bath & Body Works Stress Relief soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion were a nice touch. The hotel had a nice atmosphere. Family friendly. I would recommend this hotel over the other hotels in the area.

    « Wonderful Place »

It's a very nice and beautiful place to stay! Nothing bad, everything is excellent! Best Western Plus Inn of Williams provides very good services for its visitors, rooms are very spacious, beds are comfortable, pets are safety that it is very important for me because we are traveling with our cat. Hotel has pet friendly rooms, thank you! Breakfast is good and fresh!!! Location is awesome, close to Grand Canyon, Sedona, and Flagstaff . People are friendly and helpful in this hotel. Definitely come back!

« Short stay in pine country »

Have looked forward to staying at this hotel for a couple years due to its proximity to the Grand Canyon and San Francisco peaks, but especially because of the allure of the setting of the hotel at the foot of the Bill Williams mountain. By the luck of the timing of our stay we were treated to a beautiful blanket of freshly fallen snow. We hope to return again in the near future for perhaps a longer stay.

« Nice hotel; but, beware of the suite... »

A very nice old school motor lodge, complete with restaurant, bar, and gift shop. The rooms are well maintained, and the hotel has a nice comfortable feel about it...as if from another era of travel. We were happy to find a room available during an unusually frigid November snow storm. Our stay was not without hurdles, however. We checked into a suite, and found that the heat didn't work. I called the front desk several times, and after 90 minutes, they told me that maintenance had informed them the heat has never worked in the suite. This seemed to come as a complete surprise to the front desk staff who had never had a complaint before. [frankly, I think the maintenance guy was lying, and wanted to go home] Anyway, although it was a strange situation, the front desk staff handled it very well...finding several portable electric heaters for us to use. Unfortunately, we blew a fuse...and ended up in darkness for awhile...once the power came back on, we found that if we didn't use the TV, then we could have heat and lights. It wasn't ideal...but we appreciated the effort. In retrospect however, they should have refunded the full amount of the rate, rather than just a partial refund.

« Great Price and Great Location »

Our stay at the hotel was excellent. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the hotel had great access to Williams and I-40. We regret not trying the steakhouse inside the hotel, as we later heard that it is one of the best in Williams. Maybe next time.

« Nice hotel in a great location »

The Best Western Plus in Williams, AZ is a very nice property with reasonable rates. Williams is a nice town, as well as being the gateway town to Grand Canyon National Park. The hotel is located just off I-40 between Flagstaff and Kingman. There is a nice in-house restaurant/bar. Downtown Williams -- restaurants/bars/shops -- is only 5 min away, as is the excursion train to/from the Grand Canyon.

    « Highly Recommended »

We arranged our trip so that we could stay at the Best Western in Williams. We travel with a small dog and for the past 2 years it has become obvious that the Best Western is the Best Pet Friend hotel for us. This hotel feels more like a lodge tucked away in the mountains, although it's very close to the mainstream and highway, yet very quiet. Grand entrance with lots of side entrances to easily access your room. Warm and cozy inside (it was winter), fireplace in lounge and outside firepit. Great restaurant (didn't have a chance to eat but the menu was delicious), the workout room looked inviting. Will definitely stay again, even if we're traveling without our doggie.

If your in this area I highly recommend staying here very modern clean and fantastic food and drinks. The rooms are very nice clean updated bathrooms, big screen tv's. The beds are super comfy and plenty of pillows to sleep like a baby.

    « BEST Western! »

This may very well be one of the finest Best Western Inn's I've ever stayed in. Excellent right of the freeway location - not in the middle of the city. SAFE ample parking. Excellent courteous staff (Thanks Barbara, Kristine... and a few others who's names we didn't get). Spotless well apportioned rooms. A restaurant directly off the lobby offering entertainment, a bar, dinner service, free self serve breakfast. A gift shop. And more.... The room rate was quite reasonable. We stayed on a Thursday evening then the following Saturday. No price gouging for weekends... ~$80 nightly with our discount. We were happy enough with our first visit - we decided to stop for another stay on the way back home. I truly consider this a value for the money and recommend it highly if you find yourself in the Williams area!

« Nice overnight stay in Williams »

Stayed here for one night after we enjoyed the Polar express and before traveling onto Phoenix. Nice room, good bath & body works amenities. Room had a small fridge as well. Great breakfast selection the next morning and very friendly staff (Patti was very helpful in fixing a mistake I made in making our reservation online). Good rate online from best western.com.

« Comfortable Hotel Close to the Grand Canyon »

We decided to stay in Williams while visiting the Grand Canyon. Williams is about a 1 hour drive from the Grand Canyon. It's a cute, western town with lots of character along both interstate 40 and the old Route 66. We chose the Best Western Plus Inn of Williams because of the location and the amenities. The hotel sits back from the road in a grove of pine trees. It's very quiet yet close to interstate 40. The room was comfortable and included a sitting area separated by a short wall from the bed. The room also contained a small refrigerator which was very convenient. Everything was clean and well maintained. the bed was very comfortable. The hotel has a small pool which is completely fenced. It also has a whirlpool spa which is close to the pool but separated from it. Breakfast was included and contained a variety of hot and cold options including scrambled eggs and waffles. There is an elevator although it is located at the end of the hall. The hotel has plenty of parking. We went into downtown Williams for dinner and also walked around the shops. It was a lot of fun. We would stay in this hotel again.

    « A lovely forested Hotel - Trees and Tranquility..Bliss! »

Arizona maybe big, but after travelling from LA, of a jouney which was 425 miles by car, we gracefully checked in and loved our rooms! This Hotel is situated in a forestry part of Williams, although not far from desert, Grand Canyon and Helicopter flights, let alone a quaint quiet sleepy town on Route 66 where I am guessing everyone knows each other!! The Hotel has an outdoor spa and we sat in that for nearly an hour with a couple of dips in the heated outdoor pool. Plenty of everything from Hot Water to an amazing Breakfast! This Hotel has that Alpine feeling! The Staff were lovely, lots of free parking and Williams is a typical USA sleepy town.

    « I highly recommend this hotel »

This is a Best Western Plus. The value was good, especially since it is near the Grand Canyon (although this was probably off-season for the Grand Canyon). The hotel was quite elegant and in good condition. The breakfast was fine. The staff was excellent. I will stay there again on my way home.

    « A wonderful rustic retreat »

Beautiful snow covered trees, a warm pool and a glorious hot tub. Nice to be warm in the water while the snow is falling all around you and landing on your head! The steak dining was top notch and the scorpion appetizer provided just the right zing and tasty flavour. Really appreciated the pinot noir from California that went so nicely with the steak. Thanks!

Very good value for the money. The Williams Best Western is beautifully located in the woods and is that location is very quiet. The restaurant was excellent and the food served was outstanding. The place is very well managed and the staff was very friendly.

This is a great hotel to stay at if you are going to take the train journey to the grand canyon. Its about 5 mins from the station. The staff are all very attentive and friendly. The breakfast is ok,not terrible but not fantastic either We never ate dinner at the hotel but the restaurant looked to be very popular. You can get coffee at 6 a.m. I do appreciate that. The beds are very comfortable.Great nights sleep. Overall a nice hotel to stay at.

« Forest view, a Steakhouse and I slept like a happy baby. »

I almost don't want to give it a public review because I want it to be my special little place. So comfortable, so clean. My Dad had trout at the Steakhouse and he loved it. The Room came with a forest view, just like stated online. The breakfast was plentiful and professional. This is in my top favorites of Best Westerns.

« One hour drive the Grand Canyon NP »

We stayed here for two nights with two adults and two teenagers it was the closest accommodation we could get to the Grand Canyon booked 6 months earlier Check In ? Very straight forward and very helpful front office staff, giving us all the information we needed about travelling to the Grand Canyon. Room ? Clean modern room, standard motel room size. Location ?Williams is about 70km or an hour drive from the gates to the entry of the Grand Canyon National Park, easy drive. Williams as a town is really fun to walk around some very interesting shops. Breakfast ? Very good with cereal, bagels, pancakes and pastries. Plenty of seating as everyone was down at breakfast at 6.30 to get going to the Canyon. Check Out ? Very straightforward and easy.

« nice and good hotel as a Base for GC visit »

We stayed here for 2 nights during our NP roundtrip this fall. The hotel is not in the center of williams and located very quite. We did only hear once a train far away. The rooms are clean and very ok for a few nights. The hotel restaurant is well worth a visit also. There is a hot tube and a pool available, but did not try it out, but looked clean. The breakfast was ok, but not to compare with European standard. The check in experience was soso, 3 people there, 2 of them ignored us, not even a hello, not make you feel very welcome. But in the end, a good hotel for a few nights, would stay here again.

Really nice hotel with fantastic personnel. The restaurant was excellent and were absolutely fantastic with their service. Breakfast really good, really enjoyed it. 1h from Grand Canyon but this hotel is worth more than that.

« Cozy up to fireplace and firepit »

This is absolutely the best Best Western I have ever stayed at and I have stayed at many across the country. It was like a lodge in a ski resort at 1/3 the price. T he restaurant is excellent and I had a wonderful dinner there. The fire pit outside is just perfect for a chilly night or the large lobby fireplace. Entertainment in the lounge was also a plus for a snowy night. Just loved it.

« Fabulous, cart After a cold, wet day at the Grand Canyon »

Perfect place for a terrific night. We weren't going to stay due to some previously 2 star negative rank a comments here on this site. But we were so tired, I said lets go ahead and stay. We had a lovely time at the restaurant they had live music between the restaurant and the lounge, we truly had a great night. The beds were comfy the amenities in the bathroom are terrific. Only two negatives to be. one no microwave, finally found the refrigerator in the cabinet beneath the television, and the other is very poor lighting in the bathroom if you want to put makeup on and look halfway decent.

I was nicely greeted at the front desk upon arrival. The lounge was beautiful and there was really nice comfortable environment with live country music during dinner. The fire pit was delightful and really enjoyable after a swim.

    « Wonderful Experience »

This hotel offers easy access to the Interstate & the "park-like" setting assures a restful stay. The hotel is very clean, well kept and inviting. The rooms are large and linens are soft & smell fresh. We enjoyed the entertainment while dining and were so pleased that the restaurant provided great food and great prices. The continental breakfast provided ample choices. Our experience was very positive and we will return to this location, for future stays. Thank you to the caring staff.

    « More the expected »

Great staff, wonderful on site restaurant, very very good complimentary breakfast, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy. The beds were like heaven with memory foam. Internet service was fast. Property was clean and staff was friendly.

« Some good, some bad »

The staff at the front desk was not friendly or welcoming at all during check in. They were borderline rude at check-in which is unfortunate. At check-out, it was the same way despite a different person. There was no thanks, no friendliness, nothing. The beds were noticeably harder than normal. And the sheets were also very hard to the point where they made noise each time you moved in bed. Maybe they could use some form of softener during washing to improve this? The room itself was a double queen and came as expected. No issues with it except the bed hardness and sheets. It was clean and acceptable for the price. My family including two toddler sons and wife enjoyed the nicely heated pool on a late afternoon when air temps were about 72. We also liked the hot tub and found the fire pit at night to be excellent for making ?smores. All of those amenities were excellent. The lounge was very good and the bar tender was friendly and personable. Someone with her positive attitude needs to work the front desk. The breakfast was as advertised and included scramble eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, plus the normal continental variety items and assorted juices, milk and coffee. It was busy but the staff did a great job keeping everything stocked and working properly and cleaned. I have trouble rating this property because it was feast or famine: I liked many things about it yet I disliked several key things.

« Stale smell, noisy neighbors »

The screaming child next door was not the hotel's fault but the room had that old smell of ancient smoke. It's nice to have a restaurant & lounge in the lobby but the design put me in mind of the 1980s. The hotel has one very long corridor & the elevator is at one end. There are several access stairways all the way along but it is quite a distance. Location is handy for i40 but well away from the road. The wifi is ok and breakfast was fine, but the decor is very tired.

« An average hotel with a great breakfast »

This hotel is in a quiet location somewhat apart from the main business area in Williams. Our room was large and had a sitting area, a nice extra, but furnishings were dated and somewhat worn. The heating/AC unit was extremely loud. There was no way to set the fan to run continuously in order to adjust to the sound so during the night we were jolted awake multiple times when the unit started up. One lamp had a broken switch and had to be plugged/unplugged to operate. Lighting in general was poor. The bed was reasonably comfortable and the bathroom, though dated, was clean. The more mature staff members at the desk were helpful and friendly; the younger members were efficient but lacking in warmth and indifferent to my report of the broken lamp switch. Until I read a couple of reviews upon return home I was not aware the hotel had an elevator (apparently at one end of the building). When we checked in no elevator was mentioned; we were directed to carry our luggage up the stairs. We are capable of doing so but there are those who are not. There really should be an elevator in the lobby area. The real standout feature of the hotel was breakfast. It was far better than the usual hotel included breakfast both in terms of quality and in terms of selection. Also, the breakfast staff did a good job replenishing the food and maintaining the area. I would entertain the idea of staying at the Best Western again with the hope that the heating/AC unit in a different room might be quieter. The lighting was mainly just an annoyance and I can deal with furnishings being dated; night noise was the big issue.

Looking for a motel at 12:30am, desk clerk was awake & friendly. Offered a $80 rate. Motel was clean, comfortable & breakfast variety was better than most free breakfasts. Staff was very friendly. I've been in Best Westerns before with very mixed results, this one was top notch.

« Great BW among the pine forest »

This BW is situated on the outskirt of town, about 1 mile from downtown. It is a very quiet hotel, clean with nice rooms. The breakfast is fine and check in/check out is fast. Nice restaurant albeit quite expensive. Cocktail hour with music. A bit pricy but it the gateway to the Grand Canyon after all. If we go back to the Grand Canyon we will stay there again.

« Designed by an idiot »

Nice facility but spendy. Our stay....and these comments....were heavily influenced by the screw-up of our room assignment and the lack of an offer of a different room on the ground level at the same price as the king room we'd reserved. Instead, we were given a room on the second floor at the same price assuming there was an elevator somewhere in the same zip code as the lobby we were standing in at the time. Turned out the elevator was at the far end of the building and our room was at nearly the opposite end....and it's a LONG building. Not fun when you have severe osteoarthritis. I'm classified as "disabled" and have the parking sticker to prove it.

« Good Hotel, Bad Memory Foam »

Not a fan of the foam mattress pad that is not comfortable to many of us regular mattress folks. It gets too warm at times and just doesn't feel like a real bed. There's a good restaurant next door, "Kicks on Route 66."

« Excelent Bang for Buck »

The hotel was very quiet and clean - the two of three main items I look for in a hotel. My last item was cost and this hotel was better than any in the area for this quality PLUS included a full breakfast buffet (not just dry cereal and apple). I would highly recommend this hotel and plan to return next summer.

    « Best Western Plus »

What a great place to stay. The rooms are large, very clean and well appointed. We were surprised to find a restaurant, lounge and full bar. And we were more surprised to find out that the food was so good. The music in the lounge would be enough to keep us coming back. Just a guy with a guitar, but he had us up and dancing. What a great time we had. We will stay here next time we are in the area and will always recommend this hotel to friends and family.

    « Would get a 5 star if i was updated from the 80s »

Location - beautiful location with surrounding trees and easy access off the highway Staff - average, mostly seniors Room - Very large, comfortable bed, clean, dated decor, fridge, no microwave Bathroom - very clean, but very dated Breakfast - excellent, real cutlery and fresh fruit. Coffee excellent. One of the best included breakfasts we had in our 3 week trip across the US Nice pool and fire pit outside to sit by. I suggest they spend more on updating and less on the live entertainment at the dinner. A well managed hotel.

After a long drive, this was the best night's sleep we all had! Traveling with an 8 month old, sleeping in a hotel is not always comfortable but this hotel was great. They made us feel welcome and comfortable. I plan on staying there again and recommend that you do too!

    « ONE WORD: EXCELLENT! »

Great location...very quiet. Beautiful, spacious room with the most comfortable beds we've ever slept in (REALLY!)...pet friendly and priced reasonably. The breakfast that came with the room was tasty and varied...eggs, sausage, waffles, biscuits and gravy, etc....High-end restaurant and lounge, as well as a delightful cowboy/western singer nightly...large hot tub, heated pool and a nice, warm fire pit to sit around....and a very friendly, helpful staff...LOVED OUR STAY!

« Best Western Plus Williams, AZ »

Arrogant front desk staff. Room dirty in all areas. Bathroom ceiling vent fan cover fell on the floor exposing a fan motor that was completely blocked with dirt and debris, which, when running, caused shaking and loud noises. Stains on chair seat fabric that could have been but were not cleaned. Remnants of a candy bar (pieces of chocolate and peanuts) on one of the nightstands. Improperly sized CFL bulbs in lamps on nightstands. Bulbs were so tall that the lampshades rested on top of them precariously. Best Western TV remote would not allow correction of letterbox picture displayed on an otherwise good LED TV. Hotel elevator is not marked as to its location, which is at the end of a long hallway and not at all convenient to most quests, if they can find it.

« Found this hotel excellent »

We stayed two nights while at Grand Canyon. Had a 51 mile drive each way each day but we liked the travel. This hotel was perfect in very way. So clean and everything worked in the room, , lots of towels, great flat screen TV, internet was great, and the breakfast buffet was actually a nice one. So many times they lack this or that this did not. The lady working it keep everything stocked and had all the table clean. No messy tables that are often left by messy previous eaters. She was so fast to clean the tables too of dirty plates. Great area around the hotel. Nice outdoor area to sit by the pool and jazzuci. Great fire pit that was nice to sit and relax around, Inside a huge fireplace in the lobby. Grounds were very clean all around. USA Today was complimentary too.

We needed a place to stay the night before a trip to the Grand Canyon. We were very pleased with the hotel and ease on and off I-40 and Route 66. Very affordable, the staff was nice and the rooms were clean. What more could you ask for.

« Locked Out Each Day! »

The location was perfect for our visit to Grand Canyon. It was close to town but much quieter. Room nice but too close to lobby where they had a solo cowboy playing/singing each night. We stayed 3 nights and every day when we returned, our room key didn't work. If they had explained this at check in, I would have paid in full then rather than be inconvenienced each evening. Poor CustomervService in handling this policy with me as a guest.

« Probably the highlight of the town of Williams, AZ »

The room was large and comfortable, conveniently located near an entry/exit point. The evening catering was good and the wait staff very helpful. The entertainer did both versions "country" and "western" ;-}. He recalled various artists who wrote and sang the numbers and engaged with the audience - very enjoyable indeed. Oops! I almost forgot the bar - quick, efficient service and drinks were well priced for this type of establishment.

« Best place to stay for a Grand Canyon visit »

Chose this hotel based on Trip Advisor reviews. Good choice! First person we met was Christine at the front desk who was absolutely delightful. She gave us a map of the region as well as suggestions for local restaurants. After checking into our room, I decided that I needed an additional luggage holder and called the front desk to request one. I neglected to give my room number. Imagine my surprise when Christine called later to tell me they had found one. She also let me know that she had called every room to determine who had requested the luggage holder. This is true service! Every day of our stay, Christine had a smile to make our day brighter. The young gal bartender in the hotel lounge also went out of her way to make sure that we were happy with our drinks even giving me a plastic cup to take my soft drink back up to my room. Breakfasts were great with scrambled eggs, potatoes, and sausage along with bagels and pastries, cereals and fresh fruit each morning. All in all, we were very pleased with our stay and would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for accommodations in the Grand Canyon area.

« NICE HOTEL PERFECT LOCATION »

We stopped here the day before going to Bearizonia and Grand Canyon. We really enjoyed the property grounds. Our room was spacious and very comfortable; equipped with a small fridge and free Wi-Fi. The room we had backed up to the woods with mountains in the distance. Some TA reviewers state the hotel is a bit dated but I felt it was charming. Steakhouse on the property. Outdoor fire pit by the heated pool and a nice lounge area in the lobby with fireplace Great location because the Grand Canyon Railroad is just down the road as well as a very pleasant tourist section of route 66. Grand Canyon is a one hour drive and I felt it is better to stay here rather than by the Grand Canyon because there is more to do in this area after you check out the beautiful Grand Canyon. The staff at the front desk were very nice too but I have always found this to be the norm at Best Western hotels.

« A great place to stay when going to the Grand Canyon or Williams »

We stayed there on an overnight trip to the Grand Canyon and the fun little town of Williams. Check in was a breeze and our room was clean and comfy. We enjoyed the patio during the evening and the live music in the lobby. The onsite Steak House was really, really good! Excellent service and the food was awesome! We waddled out to the patio happily when done! We enjoyed a quiets nights rest and are planning an off season visit soon!

This is a great location off the main road and nestled among the trees. The restaurant is excellent--food service and atmosphere. The live entertainment was quite unexpected a excellent! We loved the fact that we didn't have to leave the property for dining. « Nice place to stay in williams, az »

We liked this hotel in Williams, AZ. It was off the main road and sits back in some pine trees which made it quiet and nice. We were lucky to be able to get one of the two rooms that have a balcony. This made the stay even more pleasant since I like to be able to sit outside in the fresh air when I am staying at a hotel. It was quiet and peaceful. The room was nice and clean. They have what I understand is the best steakhouse in town. I didn't find that out until after we left. We should have eaten at their restaurant. We did however, enjoy a drink in the lounge where they have an artist who performs 6 nights a week. He was very good. Played guitar and sang. We were very close to the main drag, where the town of Williams plays up the Route 66 theme. It is a cute little town. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

« Good Location, Comfortable, Friendly Staff »

Stayed two week nights in early October at this two-story motel located away from the main road. Everyone from the front desk to wait staff was friendly and helpful. The room itself had a very comfortable bed with a good TV with a lot of channels. The shower was strong. The room has a tiny balcony but it still had two chairs. There is a bar with a great display of Kachinas and a good restaurant.

    « Beautiful setting »

This hotel is set in a pine forest off Route 66 and is very picturesque, only a short 5 minute drive to the town of Williams. The rooms are well equipped although maybe time for a freshen up, and the lighting could do with being a bit brighter, but that apart it is lovely hotel, good complimentary breakfast and the staff are very pleasant, well worth it for a short stay.

What a wonderful surprise to find this oasis just an hour away from the Grand Canyon south rim - after a long drive from Las Vegas, the hot tub and warmed pool were a welcome extra. Always nice to have breakfast available - overall an enjoyable stay!

Had a nice stay. It is set in the trees, quiet and pretty. Close to town, but like how it was not in town. My only complaint is that the room was warm and the air conditioner did not seem to work well. We couldn't open the window, which would have helped, they had a stopper on the window and would only allow you to open it a little.

a great place to stay. Less than an hours drive from the Grand Canyon. A warm welcome greeted us and Very friendly staff met all our needs during our stay - two nights. Enjoyable food in the hotel restaurant. The room was comfortable and had all necessary amenities including hair dryer, coffee machine, fridge, free wi-fi. Only a short drive into the town of Williams on the famous Route 66 .

    « Nice motel »

Everything about this motel was great, except the air conditioning. Our room never got cool but the staff provided us with a circulation fan, which made it comfortable to sleep. Great breakfast was included.

This hotel is a mile outside of Williams,AZ.It was wonderfully quiet and secluded.Their staff was very courteous and helpful with all questions. The rooms were spacious and clean. The restaurant was very nice, with the bar in another room, with a TV and sofa and comfy chairs.Worked well! The food was delicious and the staff was pretty darn great. The hotel is on Rte 66,that famous old road, which Williams is on.The shops in town were from another world back when things were cool.We walked up one side and down the other,Spent a good 90 mins.enjoying the shops and friendly people.Well worth the stop and stay at Best Western!

    « Good Value »

Good value lodging if your planning to see the Grand Canyons South Rim and could not get a room inside the park. The other choice would be in the town of Tusuyan but their room prices are much higher and this place is only 1 hour away. Building is new and facilities are good for the price.

« Great Grand Canyon Start »

Good Accomodations, great food, and entertainment. The accomdations were perfect as a jumping off point to see the Grand Canyon. Don't forget to check out the town of Williams too. Great shopping and one of the best otwns to visit along historic route 66.

    « pretty good »

This is a nice place to stay as I do not like to be right on the main street in the middle of tiny Williams and it is just up the road. But they really should update the rooms. Even just painting the depressing dirty looking gold walls would do wonders! That being said the bed was very comfortable and I would stay here again.

    « excellent stay »

Could not have been happier with our choice. Pool area was beautiful and breakfast was the best we have had in many years for a best western. No doubt we would stay again if visiting the area. If you choose this hotel you will not be disappointed.
