Best Western Plus Lancashire Manor Hotel

We had an enjoyable stay at the Best Western Lancashire Manor. The breakfast staff were superb and very attentive. My poached eggs were cooked to perfection. Our room (67) was spotless and we had a peaceful sleep. Upholland station is a 5 minute walk away and I highly recommend the local taxi company. Thank you to all of the staff for their hospitality.

Absolutely beautiful and exceptional service! We had our wedding here on 28.03.24 and from start to finish everything was amazing. We originally booked our wedding some time ago and Gill was our wedding planner. Gill was amazing. The planning was exceptional and we felt that our day could not have gone better and this was down to the planning of Gill, manager Kev who looked after us on the day and to all of the staff who worked the day of our wedding. The venue is breathtakingly beautiful and as soon as the day was over myself, my husband and all of our guests wanted to do the day all over again. If your looking for a beautiful venue with amazing service, food and reasonable priced this is the place to visit. Very good hotel. Room clean but the daily servicing seems a little weird. Some days stuff was removed and other days it looked like a bit of a lick and a promise. No problems at all with the hotel in general though. One thing I will say it the staff are lovely and put themselves out to help you. That's the sign of a great management team as they looked like they were happy to be here. I'm already booked in again,

Amazing day from start to finish stay day before our wedding we went to the restaurant had tea it was amazing the day of our wedding all staff was amazing and help you if you needed any help the wedding food and buffet was awesome and staff did amazing job on setting up the tables it blow us away our room was amazing the beds are comfortable and the breakfast in the morning was very tasty I would recommend anybody to booked your wedding you will not be disappointed thanks to you best day of my life

Fantastic, All the staff were absolutely amazing, honestly nothing was too much trouble. Food was great. Room was ideal and well lit with mood lighting. Service was excellent and we would not hesitate to recommend. From booking to the end of the event we had a very good experience.

What an absolutely amazing venue, we held our wedding here over the weekend and everyone including our cake maker commented on how stunning the venue is, we had our wedding in the great Hall which is just beautiful. All the staff were so helpful and friendly and couldn't do enough for us, from Gill and Liza answering my millions of questions to reception staff, Kevin who was the coordinator on the day and Rob who even helped carry stuff from the car and everyone else who just made our day perfect The food was amazing and all our guests said how nice it was. We had an absolute ball at our wedding ! From the bottom of our hearts a massive thank to every single member of staff who helped our day flow so flawlessly ! From checking in on Thursday with my bridesmaids to checking out ,nothing was too much trouble, Big Kev ,little Kev and Rob making sure everything was perfect. I stayed here for a wedding . The breakfast was spectacular and gorgeous. It was a gorgeous stay . I would stay again. I couldn't fault my stay. The views where gorgeous, lovely looks around the hotel.

We stayed for one evening as a family across 2 rooms and the whole experience was very relaxing. The restaurant service was excellent, check in very efficient and wholly enjoyable. We will be returning! The staff were all helpful and friendly.

Just home after two nights hete. Ideal position for motorway links. 17th c entury building Situated in the middle of an ondusyrial park. However. From arrival, the entrance and ambiance are very welcoming, then you meet the staff. The hotels best asset. Friendly. Helpful, pleasant. Customer care skills must certainly be the top priority on the premises. Our hair dryer failed, i made a call and within minutes it had been replaced. The domestic team should be commended. The rooms and public areas are spotlessly clean: in addition a request not clean the room, but please replenish the hospitality tray. Again responded in minutes. We took usb cables with us, no sockets avaialble in the rooms, reception kindly charged our phone whilst we ate breakfast. Ps. Best value breakfast we have eaten. £6.00 per person, hot and cold selection. A great selection. Again, the waiting on staff were excellent. We ate our evening meals on the bar. Bar food was really tasty, and plentiful. Typical prices for the area. Would we teturn? Most definately. Do we recommend the venue. 100%

Yes this hotel is just off of the motorway on an industrial estate. Forget that. It's a lovely old building with character. Rooms are big. The showers are amazing. High water pressure and piping hot. The beds are big and very comfortable. Pillows are superb. The public areas and rooms were lovely and warm. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was the usual array but very tasty and regularly replenished. I wish all hotels were run this well. I've paid a lot more money for a lot less satisfaction. Well done all!

Stayed here to celebrate my son's 30th birthday party, rooms are excellent beds so comfortable all amenities great. Breakfast very tasty and food at the party excellent. All staff were helpful and very pleasant

Just completed our 50th wedding anniversary celebration. Had 92 guests 34 rooms The help and support from staff was superb from bar to kitchen and reception .Also a great DJ . We had a fantastic night buffet food superb bar service superb .Organstion From Liza fantastic all of my guests had a great time rooms were excellent. Would highly recommend for a function on any sort well done to all the team

There was mold on the pillows but the carbonara was excellent. Best carbonara ever. Also do not get the tempura prawns, the prawn to batter ratio is way off. Not enough prawn. But again, the carbonara was the tits.

Although our review is well overdue, sorry - we would now like to thank the staff at Lancashire Manor for making our wedding in May an amazing day. The staff looked after us so well, from my arrival (with bridesmaids) the day before the wedding, until our departure on the day after the wedding. The great hall is an stunning venue, our guests were so impressed! Every element of the wedding went smoothly thanks to ALL the staff, especially Gill and Lisa, the wedding coordinators. So many little touches that made the whole event amazing. We hired the "house" DJ, Tony who did a fabulous job keeping the dance floor full: the food was fantastic - there are so many things we could tell you but seriously, if you are looking for a wedding venue we would not hesitate to recommend Lancashire Manor.

We got married on the 4th August 2023 at Lancashire Manor in the Great Hall. It was an amazing venue and we couldn't fault the staff. From the day before at the rehearsal dinner to the wedding day, it was a fantastic experience. The food was delicious and many guests passed on their comments about the wedding meal being really good. We had the leek & potato soup, the chicken dinner and strawberry tart for dessert. The Chef and the team did a great job with the food in the evening too. Everyone loved the buffet. The staff were amazing. Gill the wedding coordinator greeted us and handed us over to Bethany, Kevin & Kevin. They were all so helpful, kind and very organised. The day ran smoothly and we couldn't thank all the staff enough for making our day very special. They checked in with us throughout the day and made sure we were happy with everything. The DJ Tony was fantastic and entertained the guests all evening. The dance floor was never empty. He really did bring the party!! I would recommend this venue to anyone. It is so magical and it really is a fabulous place to get married. We would love to do our day all over again! We can't wait to return to Lancashire Manor for other events and for our 1st Wedding Anniversary. Thank you so much, Michaela & Daniel x

Stayed at this hotel many times never disappoints Staff always go the extra mile, the evening meal was delicious and they are always happy to rejig the menu so you get exactly what you want. The staff are lovely and chatty without being overbearing

I was a member of the bridal party for a very beautiful wedding. Everything was perfect and nothing too much trouble. We all could not have been happier. The evening menu food in the bar was excellent. Highly recommended.

What can I say about this venue......Wow, just wow! Lancashire manor hotel is the most amazing venue to stay in but also the most amazing venue to have a wedding. The Great Hall is breathtakingly beautiful and I would highly recommend it to anyone. I stayed the night before with my bridesmaids in a beautiful room, it was clean, presentable and a fantastic size for us all to get ready in, the following morning. We ordered food from the bar from a menu with a good range of different options to suit all tastes. The portion sizes are large and the food was delicious! They cater for Gluten free, Vegan and vegetarians. They also do a children's menu. The customer service was impeccable from the moment I arrived the day before, to the moment I left, the staff can't do enough for you. Every single member of staff that was there were just wonderful, they are brilliant at their job and more than happy to help with any task. The wedding day was perfect, well organised and everyone truly had the best time. This is down to the staff making sure everything was well timed, we were well looked after and were kept informed of what was happening throughout the day. The food throughout the day was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious! The evening buffet again beautifully presented and delicious! This truly is a little hidden gem. If you're unsure if this is the right place for you, take a little visit and have a look round, it will impress you.

Had our daughters wedding reception here in July 2023. The grooms parents stayed the whole weekend as they travelled from Scotland. Needed alot of bedrooms to accomodate guests. The whole event was just amazing, service, staff, food, accommodation!! The food was excellent, feeding 110 people a 3 course meal...you might expect food to be average. But food was excellent, hot and served quickly and efficiently. Staff were so helpful and attentive, nothing was too much trouble.

Had a good nights sleep in nice room in the older part of the hotel. Food good and staff friendly. Made a good break on our journey home from Scotland. Would recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

We got married here on Saturday, from arriving Friday to leaving Sunday every part of our visit was fantastic. The venue was stunning and the wedding team could not do enough for us to ensure our day was everything we imagined. Staff were always friendly, polite and accommodating to ourselves and our guests and nothing was too much trouble. Compliments need to go to the chef. All the food was fantastic. Would definitely recommend the hotel and venue for weddings and we will most certainly be returning in the future for the many events that also look fab. Thank you to Gill, Liza, Kevin and the rest of the staff at the Lancashire Manor for making our wedding day such a memorable and fun time.

A great hotel set in beautiful grounds. Located on an industrial estate, just off the motorway. With friendly helpful staff. The hotel is well presented and clean . The rooms are a good size comfy bed with everything you will need. A welcome tray, hairdryer etc. We stayed on the DBB deal where you get £50 per couple off the evening meal , a overnight stay and breakfast. The evening meal choice is good plenty of choice . The breakfast is good well cooked bit disappointed not to have the option of the breakfast buffet on our stay. Prices reasonable for a hotel. We have stayed here before and yes we will stay again.

Suite was excellent - apart from coffee pod machine. Staff were excellent - wide ranging menu - full plate of full English breakfast - easily accessible from M58 - WiFi worked - hotel was not busy so was reasonably quiet

Do not expect to be wowed by the layout and quality of the hotel. It sits in the OK for price bracket. If you want anything other than a fried breakfast or pots of yoghurt then think of other places to stay.

Stayed Saturday 10th december , all staff really helpful and friendly breakfast was cooked lovely seems like a improvement on previous visits . This could of been a timing issue . Small thing but even the change of sausage on the menu is a big YES. thank you for your hospitality

Fantastic Christmas party. Lovely food, great DJ. The staff looking after the Latham suite were great. I liked the more intimate ambiance of the smaller suite. Big shout out to Kevin for looking after the guests.

Poor stay, for the third time, a mid week wedding disturbed my nights sleep, with morons knocking on guests doors at 1:30am - 2:30am. Last time it forced me to leave at 3am as I could not sleep anymore. This situation is not acceptable and I would suggest that hotel controlling these wedding function guests otherwise repeat business guests will be forced to leave.

We spent one night here whilst visiting family nearby. The hotel is easily accessible from the motorway. We chose it for the available electric car charging. All the chsrge points were blocked by non-electric cars when we arrived (there was a wedding on at the hotel) but we were able to access one of the charge points later. The hotel was clean. The rooms were a good size. Breakfast was fine. We stayed for dinner which was OK. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a positive experience.

Aesthetically beautiful place. Close to the motorway and easy to find. But not too close to hear the noise from the motorway. Friendly service at reception and very quick. Lovely inside the building beautifully decorated, warm and cosy. Bed was amazingly comfortable as were the pillows. Everything spotlessly clean and tidy. The suite was huge especially room 33 and out the way from the bar and and possible noise and from the car park. One issue I could not CAST Netflix from phone to TV. The manager also tried and was unable to do so. Hopefully this will be addressed for any future patrons. This wouldn't stop me from staying here again. Breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice. Only one criticism. I'd prefer tea/coffee making facilities to DIY. But the staff were friendly and on the ball when you order what you'd like with regards to this. Prompt delivery at breakfast. Great all round experience at this hotel and would 100% use again

Given the low price, I was expecting the service to reflect this fact. Therefore I was very pleasantly surprised by the overall cleanliness, and presentation of the room. Tea / Coffee making facilities are present in the rooms along with a couple of small packs of complimentary biscuits which were replenished the next day, (a small token but something that did not go unappreciated). Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and food quality at both breakfast & the restaurant in the evening were very good. A couple of small negatives were the strength / signal of the internet, which was not great, and dropped out at regular intervals. This is something which most hotels suffer from, but given this is primarily used by people for business, like me I imagine that others will find this annoying when having the laptop on, or when trying to facilitate online calls. Also, given the vast number of digital devices that most people carry with them these days, a couple of USB charge points within the rooms would be a welcomed addition. I stupidly forgot my multi port charging plug, therefore was forced to charge my devices via my laptop, which was a pain, and although I cant blame the hotel for that fact, most hotels nowadays do have USB ports in the rooms. All in all though, the good points far outweigh the the couple of small negatives, and I would highly recommend anyone to stay at this hotel, I know I would be happy to do so again.

From reception to bar staff were excellent the only thing that may need looking at was new bar staff may need a bit more experience before putting them into a large gathering of people But that comes with time. The overall experience was excellent, with a very impressive hall for entertainment

We stayed at in one of the suites which was very spacious. The bed was comfy. WiFi was good in the hotel. Originally had no soap in room but this was sorted after asking. Limited parking - particularly blue badge. When we checked in late we were asked to pay and we asked if this was for both nights and told yes, at check out we then had to pay for the second night, we wouldn't have minded if we hadn't been told it was for both nights originally. (We had been told the full cost on booking but that was many months ago and we were a bit disoriented from a long drive). Gluten free options at breakfast limited but head chef happy to talk through options for dinner. Convenient location - close to motorways.

We got married at Lancashire Manor last week and everything was perfect from start to finish. Gill is lovely who helped plan our day, the venue is amazing, the food, rooms, gardens everything is lovely perfect for a wedding. The day ran so smoothly the staff are brilliant from reception staff to bar staff especially Kevin and Beth who were great with us and went out of their way to make sure we had the best day and night. All our guests have commented on how lovely the venue was and the service, we had the most perfect weekend thank you so much. Jess & David x

we booked several rooms for a wedding held nearby. we had doubles. twin and a family room. all the rooms were spacious and clean. we were concerned with the family room as the children were 5 and 7years old and they could open the bedroom door. we has a meal in the restaurant which was reasonable and nice. breakfast was a good selection with cooked,cereal,or continental. all the staff were friendly and helpful . this is a wedding Venue so was busy day and night.

Stopped at the Lancashire Manor for 2 night while working near by. The staff, from front of house reception to the waitresses and bar staff, were very helpful and friendly. The room was a great size and very clean (although I did have a double room to myself). The restaurant food was delicious although I did find the bar menu a little restricted with not much choice. If I had to be negative, the immediate location was not great, but suited me fine for my purpose and must admit I didn't explore the local area much, and there was no USB charging point in the room so had to charge my phone through my laptop (My fault, I forgot my adapter!) On the whole a very nice stay and will be back when I'm in the area next!

not for families, we are two adults and 2 children, aged 2 and 1, we had to book two seperate adjoining rooms. so doubled the cost. the rooms had a good shower, but after that it was twin beds in one room and very standard double bed, no luxury here. restaurant closes at 9 on the dot, tv has 4 channels and even those are fuzzy. very very basic and a real shame, the building is pretty, staff are lovely, location is handy

Had our wedding here and cannot praise this venue enough. From start to finish the staff were helpful, friendly, experienced and responsive. On the day we had an absolute blast ! Everything was well organised, staff were efficient, food was excellent and the DJ wonderful. Highly recommend this place. Don't be put off by the drive up which is a bit industrial, the hall is stunning and the service and quality is well worth it in our view. Having rooms on site really helps with a wedding as does the late party until 1am. Well done everyone at Lancashire Manor.

We held a family wedding at Lancashire Manor on 30th July 2022. The whole occasion from start to finish was excellent, the wedding co- ordinator on the day was very attentive and went the extra mile to ensure that our day went to plan and that we all had a great day. We stayed at this hotel on a Thursday and Friday night the room was comfortable but a little on the dark side the food was of a good quality I had steak which was cooked as I liked medium rare ,and the cheese board afterwards was excellent good portions drinks reasonably priced just under £5 a pint for a beer. The buffet breakfast was good a nice selection of hot food cakes and cereal . Its very close to the local railway station Upholand which is a 15 minute train journey to Wigan

A very relaxing and slow-paced hotel. I was there on business, but it had a mixture of all types of guests. All though they were quite busy, it didn't feel overcrowded or chaotic. The bar area looked a bit dated, but it is a few centuries old manor. The bar was adequate, the bar food was great (for the one meal I had) and breakfast was good. On my first morning, there was no buffet due to numbers, but I could have anything I wanted, no fuss. the next day, there was a plentiful and hot tasty breakfast. Nothing really to say as a negative

We stayed here one night. The room was big and very clean. We had dinner in the restaurant the meal was amazing. I really enjoyed the starter of arancini balls was delicious. The sweet of crème brulé was amazing. We had the breakfast which was nice as well. The staff are friendly and polite. Would definitely recommend a stay we will be back.

Hotel very well laid out exceptionally clean.Located around industrial park but didn't spoil our stay as the grounds are very good, enjoyed our dinner- bed and breakfast offer. We had a lovely stop over for a friend's wedding, the hotel and grounds where lovely and spotless, a little hidden gem, we stayed in a very spacious room, with a double bed and single bed along side, lovely bathroom with walk in shower, tea coffee facilities, hairdryer, even a nice table and chairs to sit and enjoy a cuppa, the lady on reception was so nice and friendly, cannot remember her name, but she was lovely and again checking out the next day was just as friendly and lovely, especially towards my son who has special needs, we checked in 3rd June late afternoon, all in all a lovely stop over

We had our wedding here on the 3rd june. We stayed two nights (bride room and bridal suite) the rooms were lovely and clean as were the breakfasts. The staff went above and beyond for our wedding to make sure everything was right. The food was outstanding as well as the bbq we had in the evening. We would definitely recommend anyone to get married her. It was reasonably priced as well

We visited this hotel this weekend for our annual trip to the Grand National. The hotel was fantastic. The staff were friendly, accommodating and helpful. The hotel was clean and the rooms were spacious with a massive bed! We ate at the restaurant for our evening meal and breakfast. The food was fantastic and lots of choice. The restaurant staff were attentive and made sure the food was replenished at the morning buffet. We had such a lovely stay we have booked again for next year on checking out. Had a great stay for 2 nights for the races. Service was amazing from arrival. Greeted by friendly reception staff offering advice on how to get to races. Bar staff was great and attentive and girls in the restaurant offered great service. Dinner was fantastic. Really was amazing weekend away with great service highly recommend

We were married at this hotel five years ago and this was our first return back. The hotel is just as beautiful as we remembered it and a lot of the staff are still there so it must be a good place to work. Some of them remembered us which was really lovely, including Gill who helped us plan our wedding. We stayed for dinner, bed and breakfast and we upgraded to the suite we stayed in on our wedding night, room 70, which is absolutely stunning, in the oldest part of the hotel. Dinner in the restaurant was fantastic. Kudos to manager Beth who really made our stay more special. She is super friendly and fun, with great recommendations for our meals and wine. I chose the Brie bites to start, followed by salmon. My husband chose garlic mushrooms followed by lamb shank. Both meals were absolutely delicious and we were devastated we had no room left for dessert! Our room was spotlessly clean, as were the bar and restaurant areas and we spent a very comfortable night. It was great to go back into the Great Hall where we were married - if you stay do take a peak as it's a really beautiful room. Breakfast the next morning was very good, with fresh fruit, cereal, juices to help yourself and choices of full English breakfast served to the table. I believe they have just changed the menus and we can't wait to go back!

Well after waiting 2yrs, we finally managed to have ourMothers Day Sunday Lunch. From the start Beth and her team were so attentive nothing was too much trouble. We all enjoyed our meals, the carvery was very generous and very delicious sweets. Well worth the wait!

I visited Lancashire Manor Hotel for a company training event in March 2022 and it was a fantastic day. From the moment I arrived, the welcome was friendly and professional and the team couldn't have been more accommodating. The space, including the Great Hall and their large conference room (The Lathom Suite) was perfect for our event. The Great Hall really is a beautiful room and definitely has the wow factor. The audio visual facilities included everything we needed and the team were on hand to help make sure we didn't have any of the technical difficulties you worry about when using projectors etc. The flexibility of the space was also fantastic, allowing us to run different elements of our event, in different spaces, simultaneously. The food and drink provided was tasty and certainly kept us fuelled for the day. The hotel were also able to accommodate the dietary requirements of all our guests. Overall, we had a thoroughly good day and were extremely well looked after. We will certainly be back.

Rude and abrupt staff ! Complained via email twice and they've have just chosen to ignore these. Not helpful or understanding. Spoken to the receptionist over the phone and I can honestly say that from start to finish of the conversation she was the rudest and most abrupt person I have spoken to. Would not let me speak and contradicted everything she said and even tried to lie about what I had said. Customer service well and truly went out the window.

Stayed for a Valentine Treat. Lovely evening meal, lots of choice and the food was excellent. Staff were friendly and attentive. Plenty of choice at breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable. Communal areas also clean & tidy.

Stayed at this hotel for a pit stop from Southampton to Liverpool for my daughters birthday . We arrived very late but check in was nice and easy and we had a lovely comfy bed and a great sleep . Would of loved to explore the hotel more so definitely will be back

We booked this beautiful venue for our daughters wedding and it was fantastic we would not have changed a thing. From the first meeting with Gill Ball to leaving the next morning we couldn't fault anything. We were treated so well and looked after by every single member of staff who couldn't do enough for us. Fantastic large bedrooms, the food was amazing and the grand room is beautiful and perfect for a wedding.

We came here on Christmas day the food was outstanding the staff were very professional and tender to all our needs and made it a very special day for us. The atmosphere was very relax and would highly recommend we will definitely be back next year well done lancashire manor .

We got married here on the 4th December. The staff co-ordinated the day perfectly, we didn't have to worry about a thing. Gill, the wedding coordinator, was fabulous, even with very last minute changes due to covid she was reassuring and really put my mind at rest. I really couldn't recommend this venue more. Everything was there, you don't need to purchase any extras unless you want to. The DJ, the food, the decorations were all included so if you really wanted a stress free wedding then this is the place. We did choose to bring some of our own decorations and Rob (one of the hotel staff) put them all out for us the night before, checking with us they were exactly how we wanted them. Would definitely recommend Lancashire manor for anyone getting married.

We stayed here because we were guests at a wedding being held here. Driving up to the property is via a business park so when you arrive its totally unexpected. This is a fabulous hotel, great rooms with lovely staff. The facilities for the wedding were fab. It was like a weekend at a country house. Lovely breakfast the following morning. We had a really lovely time x

Absolutely beautiful venue, great rooms. Have stayed here over 7 months in 2019 working away and came back recently, it is still just as amazing. The staff, rooms, check-in, checkout are all top notch.

Best place i have stopped at? probably not but clean and does what it says on the can the biggest plus is the staff they are wonderfull really impressed with service and the food although a limited menu was really good breakfast superb would whole heartedly recomend looking forward to coming back next week Ps the staff told me some parts of the hotel are haunted not convinced the only sprits i saw where behind the bar

Stayed here. Rooms by building works. Had no sleep on what was supposed to be relaxing break! Bin outside room.. Flapping all night. Complained. Woman on check in pretty rude. Wont tell me complaints procedure is. Tried to go to best bestern they refer to hotel as they are independantly owned, they refunded 50% and told me they wont contact me any further. I still dont k ow complaint procedure. So will have to take this matter further as i have videos of the noise

Brilliant 2 night stay at this hotel. It wasn't easy to find with the sat nav, but I called and they helped me out. Great bar, restaurant and room. Parking easy. Breakfast quick and perfect. Small gym for a quick workout. Will be staying again.

Lovely hotel, friendly helpful staff and great breakfast, good value for money would stay here again. Receptionist was especially helpful, bar area comfortable and very pleasant and bar stayed open late.

Recently attended a wedding here, everything was perfect from start to finish, staff are amazing and the food is great. Nothing was too much trouble, rooms are lovely and and have all the amenities you need.

My mates got married here on saturday 23rd october..everything was superb. From start too finish. Rooms are spotless aswell and very big. Im back in feb for my sisters wedding will certainly be staying over again

Very comfortable, clean and efficient hotel; the staff are pleasant and friendly and the food is good and well priced and good value for money. My room was large and the bed was extremely comfortable; the bathroom was excellent and the overall facilities of the hotel very good. I would recommend for a short business stay.

We booked our wedding here in 2019 and from start to finish we had exceptional service and cannot find any fault at all. Gill Ball (Sales and Events Manager) guided us through the process to tailor our chosen package to our needs and left no detail untouched. The hotel is value for money compared to other wedding venues but exceeds in many areas. The hotel is lovely in appearance. Originally an old farm, the hotel is a mix of old and new and has been tastefully updated to provide a magical setting. The garden and outside areas are secluded and provide great photo opportunities. The Great Hall, where we had our wedding, is it's main selling point. The room is beautifully decorated and provided the perfect setting for our ceremony, wedding breakfast, and evening reception. Unfortunately we had to postpone our wedding twice due to the pandemic, but Gill made the process of moving our date completely stress free. There was no demand for more money or restrictions to when we could rebook. Leading up to our day, Gill was in touch frequently making sure all of our requirements were met. She kept us at ease and planned every small detail with us. We dropped of the table decorations the day before with instructions of what we wanted and they followed this exactly. The whole team at Lancashire Manor are visibly experienced in what they do. They kept us updated throughout the day making sure at every step we were happy with how it was going. The staff are very attentive, pleasant and could not do more for us. No request was ever too much. A special thank you to Kevin and Beth who looked after us on the day. The meal at the wedding breakfast was superb. The evening menu was fabulous too and enjoyed by all of our guests. We even had bacon and sausage butties in the bar when the party was over which was a welcome addition. The morning buffet breakfast was excellent with a huge selection to choose from. The rooms were lovely and clean. Bride stayed in the night before room with her bridesmaids which accommodates a number of people. The honeymoon suite was grand and beautifully furnished. The only downside is we didn't spend that much time in there. The rest of our guests all said how lovely the rooms were. The resident DJ Tony Macaroni provided the night-time music and he didn't disappoint. He played our requested types of music as well as playing requests from guests. We could never thank Lancashire Manor enough for giving us the most perfect day and we are sure to return in the near future.

We booked for two nights for visiting our daughter. We were checked into suite 85 on the ground floor. Although the suite was amazing and the bath tub to die for that's where the compliments end. On both nights (Friday & Saturday) the hotel were hosting functions and all I can say is over the two nights I obtained roughly 6hrs sleep. We were right behind where the food was served to the guests. All we heard Until midnight was the loud music from the DJ & screaming guests. Then came the next two hours of drunken guests shouting and slamming doors as they found their rooms. The hotel itself is lovely and the staff were welcoming HOWEVER I do feel guests should be made aware of the levels of noise and the fact that you will NOT be able to relax or sleep in a room you paid for. Don't expect to be able to relax and enjoy a long soak in the bath because the sound of the relentless base from the music will drive you insane! Oh and the water pipes are badly hidden in the wardrobes so the constant dripping noise will also make an already uncomfortable stay simply irritating!

We stayed 2 nights, room and hotel clean, staff friendly and on hand to help if we needed anything. We had an excellent evening meal and very good breakfast. Compliments to the chef - and all the staff.

Could find no fault with this hotel, and very close to the Motorway network. We had just come off a cruise ship in Southampton and decided to have an overnight on the way home. The meal we had on Saturday night was superior to what we had on the cruise.

Very good facilities and good food and service in the bar and restaurant. The hotel is on an industrial estate adjacent to the M58 with some traffic noise but the double glazing was very efficient in keeping it out of the room. It was certainly a cut above the Ibis or Premier Inn hotels you find in similar locations.

A great function - A great evening & good nights sleep even though there was a function on it was still quiet & restful. the breakfast was lovely , friendly efficient service highly recommend the stay.

We had one Friday night at the Lancashire Manor Hotel in a junior suite. It was a decent stay but I won't rush back just yet. Some things about the logistics and layout bother me. It is fairly easy to find and there is parking although I suspect if a wedding is on that might get stretched a bit. We were driving up rom London and the M25/M6 were in their horrendous moods so it took 6 hours and 45 minutes. We tried to ring the hotel to make sure we were coming but it took three attempts to get an answer. When you're getting annoyed in queues that did not help. Once there check in was smooth. All staff in open areas wore masks, there were glass screens around the bar and reception. The bar area is low, smallish and cosy. You can imagine it as a warm place to sit on a cold winter's day. That is possibly the biggest problem with the hotel. To get to the rooms and restaurant you have to pass through the bar. If it's crowded you are tight up with people – and as this is still Covid times that can make people uncomfortable. There are doors available that would allow passage outside and avoid this but they were not used – security perhaps? I'm not sure and probably not practical on cold wet days. Even with non-Covid when we left, we were carrying our luggage out through a wedding party enjoying the bar, so inconvenient for both. The room was large, comfortable, large bed, sofa, small TV wall mounted meaning you had to move the sofa to watch. It has a step-in bath/shower which is old school now and personally I hate. The most annoying thing was a ceiling lampshade that was bigger than the table. Six feet and above you are banging your head on it or having to duck to cross the room. I am not sure who designed it but get the money back! Impractical and unattractive. Overall it was an ok stay and there's effort put into Covid safety, but the logistics of getting to the rooms are a problem unless you want to get your step count up and don't mind negotiating the bar.

Fabulous venue for our wedding. The great Hall is an excellent choice and all of our guests were overwhelmed with the room, the BBQ food and the professional staff. Big thanks to Gill, who was amazing at talking us through the planning and her attention to detail was very much appreciated. Duty managers (Big Kevin and little Kevion) who looked after the smooth running of the event. Resident DJ - Tony Macaroni Lee - who played the music we requested and tailored the rest to suit the guests. The hotel rooms are fabulous, opulent, roomy and very comfortable. Breakfasts also of a high standard. All in all, my new wife and myself felt warmly welcomed and would recommend the Lancashire Manor to anyone looking for a wedding venue that adds a special atmosphere for their big day.

Nice & clean hotel. Beds comfy but red hot in the rooms maybe a fan in the wardrobe would be ideal. Staff welcome to guests beautiful gardens. Breakfast really nice. My room.was near a main road so heard all lorrys ect but probably due to having window open with the heat.

My partner and I attended a wedding at The Lancashire Manor and everything was fabulous! The wedding food and service was great, the room was gorgeous and there was nothing more that the staff could do. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was great!! Would definitely stay again

Currently doing some work in Liverpool, stayed over a weekend. Room was spacious and clean, bed was comfortable. Staff were all helpful and friendly. Following the removal of COVID restrictions the restaurant menu was updated and had a good selection for all tastes. Good buffet breakfast. Will use again when visiting Liverpool

We had a lovely weekend celebrating our son's wedding here. The Great Hall is fabulous and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The wedding breakfast was delicious with generous portions. It was also good to have plenty of space to spread around as the weather was not brilliant. (Not something that Best Western could do anything about :)

Cleanliness seems to be the biggest issue in this hotel. Our room wasn't very clean at all. It needed hoovering,dusting,didn't have a fresh smell. There were lots of dust collections. The style of the room was strange with items in there for show rather than a crisp and clean look,it was more of a tatty feel. There was a wedding that night,which is absolutely fine but there was mess for days afterwards with bottles chucked on the grass,the corridors full of mess and this wasn't cleared up for days. We felt sorry for cleaners as they seemed rushed off there feet so were rushing jobs not getting done, everything not being cleaned properly. The manager really needs to start checking rooms and areas around the hotel. Breakfast and meals were good. The staff in the restaurant were excellent both breakfast time and dinner time

We stayed here for a birthday party. The check in was very quick, rooms were very clean. Bathroom had a good shower, something not all hotels manage very well. Bed very comfy. Breakfast in the morning was spot on after the night before

We booked he while we went out with friends, I booked the mini suite which was not what I expected, the room is in a really old farmhouse with brick walls and creaky floors, some people would absolutely love it, it just wasn't for us. Has a nice big walk in shower but no bath. The bar area and grounds are lovely, check out was fast and efficient… nobody asked if we had enjoyed our stay with seamed strange. I might try again but would go for a standard room in a less creepy part of the hotel

We visited this hotel for an overnight stay on a Saturday evening. There were weddings taking place on both the Saturday and the Sunday and although this meant that staff were very busy we did not have to wait for service and all staff were very friendly and pleasant. The food for both dinner and breakfast was delicious

Just spent a brief stay here. Travelled up from Cornwall on our way to Glasgow and choose to break our journey here. What a journey it was 11 hrs and 5 of those spent getting out of the SW. This meant we were later than expected. I called the hotel from the 200 miles away. Melanie was so very helpful ,she explained that should we want an evening meal they stop serving at 9pm. OK says I ,we should be there by 8.30. The traffic gods were still agin us. So I called the lovely Melaine again at 8.50ish "We are not going to make it" says I. We are going to miss dinner by 2 mins. Could we order now from the car? "Of course" says BW best receptionist. Places me on hold gets a menu and goes through it. We got to the hotel just past 9pm bags in room eating by 9.20. What this lovely lady didn't know is that I am diabetic and had missed lunch, so missing dinner would not have been good for me in the slightest. Thank you. Good dinner - Even better breakfast- Beautiful building.

I use this hotel on a fairly regular basis, staff friendly and helpful, rooms always clean and tidy and food always good. Nice bar area and terrace and a good selection of beers and wine. Location suits me fine but if you want to be near a town you would need to catch a taxi.

What a Weekend for my daughter and son in laws wedding. From booking the venue over 2 yrs ago to leaving on Sunday morning everything was perfect. Gill and the 2 Kevin's, the receptionists, waiting on staff. Bar staff, chef - just everyone went above and beyond, all the time, and with a smile on their face. Nothing was too much trouble. We cannot thank you enough. Perfect setting for an amazing wedding. Thank you so so much. Will defo see you again xx

We attended a wedding at the weekend and from start to finish, it was brilliant. From the receptionists who took the booking for the hotel room a couple of months ago to the people who served us breakfast the next day. Everything was great. Staff couldn't do enough for you, polite and courteous at all times. Rooms where really really lovely, clean and comfy. Food was excellent at the wedding and the breakfast had plenty of choice and the staff where excellent, asking us if we wanted more tea and coffee, serving us our toast. It's the little things that count and they where very efficient. I would absolutely come here again.

Lancashire manor, what can I say. The venue is absolutely perfect! Everyone commented on how beautiful the hall was and the grounds. Gill Ball, did an amazing job helping organise and rearrange our wedding until we actually managed to say I DO. the staff in Lancashire Manor, from the welcoming staff to the servers were so polite and friendly, especially Beth. The duty managers were so helpful it was unreal! They made sure everything was ready and checked before moving onto the next section as well as checking in with myself and the groom throughout the day too. Enke, I have had a lot of dealing with trying to sort rooms and has always been patient and helpful. Can honestly say you guys made a very stressful day to be a breeze. My son and his wife had their wedding at Lancashire manor 31/7/21 , the whole day was perfect, the staff are amazing, they worked to hard to make the day go to plan , the Great hall was beautiful, changing the room for different parts of the wedding day was done professionally without any disruption to our enjoyment, i cannot praise them enough , nothing was too much trouble , reception staff are lovely and so helpful ,

Enjoyed this hotel. Be aware though that the “24 hour room service” is actually only a 24 hour drinks service. Otherwise, lovely place and good social distancing protocols—felt safe. The staff were friendly and the food was surprisingly okay.

We were longing to get away having had a harduous 18 months working We usually stay at the Lancashire manor and again they didn't disappoint We were able to meet up with family there and managed a trip into Liverpool on the train too just a short walk to the local station

We stayed at this hotel for two nights, on our way to and from Scotland, with a coach tour. We were very pleased with everything. Clean, spacious rooms. Food very good and the service we received was excellent. All the staff we met were polite and obliging. Lovely grounds around the hotel. The restaurant and bar area were very pleasant to sit in. Could not fault anything with our stay. We will definitely return.

Stayed last week for a night for business and I was impressed, it was a very organised and friendly check in. The room was very clean and well laid out, and the shower was wonderful after a hard day. I ate in the restaurant and the food was great- if I am ever in the area again I would be happy to come back and stay.

The facility where really good. My daughter got married in the grand hall it was so beautiful. She stayed in a large suite for her and bridesmaids to get ready. The food at both the wedding and at the restaurant both was very satisfying.

My little brothers wedding isn't till the end of the month but the main lady (elke, sorry if I've got that wrong xxxx) has been extremely helpful. Rule and regs are completely up in the air atm but she's been extremely helpful and reassuring xxx Can't wait for the big day and to let you all know how fab it was xxx

Excellent service, particularly so during this Covid pandemic. Having no choice other than to stay away from home overnight it was reassuring to find such a caring and professional setup. Our satnav took us to the wrong place at the back of the hotel and Elke was kind enough to stay on the phone and guide us around various twists and turns to the correct entrance. It is unusual around here to find an attractive hotel with character and good service. Our room was large, well furnished and comfortable with a bath in the en-suite. Some rooms only have showers so be sure to ask for a bath if that is important to you. We were able to eat a very good dinner outside beneath effective terrace heaters and all service was superb. Breakfast was plentiful and delivered to the room, allowing us to have hot English breakfast in a large bun. I look forward to staying again.

Exemplary service from all members of staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast and evening meals were served at your table. COVID measures were being taken throughout the main hotel areas, with everyone's safety a priority. Our family room was clean, quiet and the beds were comfortable. Yes, as appears to be common, someone not very good at maintenance had applied some sealant in the ensuite badly and painted a few areas using binoculars. But, the general level of service during this pandemic period was still of a very high standard. We highly recommend this hotel and would gladly stay again. Thank you to all staff!

Stayed here with my daughter for 2 nights and had a lovely stay. For those of you paranoid about Covid-19, their set up is excellent. Staff were great, bar was lovely, food was decent and rooms were nice!

Good hotel with Covid measures in place making it feel safe. Very expensive for a hotel by a motorway though at £75 per night and breakfast at £12 each . Breakfast wasn't in the eat out scheme so we declined! Had hairdryer and shower gel etc. Bed comfortable

Greeted by a very friendly lady on reception who checked us in and gave us directions to our room. Room was immaculately presented and spacious. Enjoyed a drink from the bar and then enjoyed a 3 course meal, food was outstanding and the 2 waiters (1 waitress) were very friendly and professional. Also enjoyed a very generous sized full english breakfast before departure.

I stayed during the Covid crisis and it's clear that the staff have gone the extra mile to make sure that everyone is safe and has a relaxing stay. My room was very clean and comfortable, the food was great and the location is spot-on being close to the motorways but not so close that you constantly hear the roar of traffic. Half of a hotel is the staff and they really did make a big effort to make me feel very welcome. A big thankyou to them. If I could rate this a 6 I would!

Beautiful hotel, I have been staying due to work for the past week and the staff are all very welcoming and helpful. Restaurant menu is fantastic, food is very good and a great choice. Rooms clean and welcoming. Hotel grounds lovely!

Lovely place, rooms are great, clean and tidy and spacious , need a 2nd mortgage to eat and drink in the place though! £5 a pint, dearer than London , Staff nice and friendly, decent size car park , breakfast was very nice too

The hotel itself was lovely but location could have been better. There wasn't much around the area apart from an industrial estate so would imagine it would be ideal for a business trip but less ideal for a romantic weekend away

Stayed here one night breaking a journey from south to north. Lovely and convenient just off M6. Booked a basic room and very pleased with it. More than big enough for us two. Large fluffy towels, toiletries but not enough tea etc but easily remedied by getting extra from reception. We ate in the restaurant as the bar was very full with wedding guests and finding a quiet table to eat at was impossible unless you were prepared to wait until well gone 7pm. Not a bad choice and they were more than happy to let me have a starter with side of chips as my main course. By the time we had finished the wedding had gone from the bar so we sat and had a drink before going to our room. The bed was very big and comfy. However we were woken constantly for the next few hours by the wedding guests returning to their rooms. Doors banging and very loud voices. Shouting at times. Please be more considerate!! I'm not a kill joy but would you wish to be woken up periodically during the night. Breakfast was the let down. Not a huge choice of hot food. No scrambled/poached/boiled eggs offered. Nor smoked salmon, eggs benedict/omelettes. Just your bog standard fry up with a choice of two pastries. And not a huge choice of fresh fruit either. What there was was hot but not worth the £100 we paid for the night.. B

From the moment myself and my Husband saw this venue we fell in love with it back in November 2018! Yesterday 29/02/2020 we got married at Lancashire Manor. From the moment we arrived the staff made us all feel welcome. All the staff who have been with us the last two days have been perfect in ever way. The food was 100% perfect and all our guest loved the meal! Myself and my husband put all our trust in the team and they made our day 100% perfect and could not be faulted what so ever. They are very accommodating for all people's needs and requirements, ensuring everyone was look after. You truly are an amazing group of staff. Thank you so much for all that you did for us! Great hotel ,double room was brilliant but bar was way too expensive. Local train station 4 miniutes away .all staff 10 out of 10 nothing too much trouble.but unfortunately when you go to a wedding and your paying nearly a fiver for s cheap beer shocking

Well everything about this hotel is amazing I stayed 2 nights for my daughters wedding in the great hall and they did her proud everything was perfect for her special day. Regarding the rooms and food again I could not fault it everything was high quality and the decor was really unique It has changed how I feel about best western I am now going to check out more of their hotels

Location and layout beautiful. Staff helpful. Cleanliness needs attention. In found false eyelashes on the floor so it had clearly not been hoovered and cobwebs in the corner handing half way down the wall

This just has to be one of (if not the best) in the area. As a regular to this hotel - the bar is alway set high on the standards. A very good selection of rooms. A good varied selection and choice on the menu - at last a hotel that uderstands guest requirements. Nothing is to much trouble to sort out any problems (should there be any).

I recently had the pleasure of getting married at this hotel and I couldn't recommend anywhere better to do so. From the ceremony right through to the evening celebrations and breakfast the next morning everything was perfect. The food was amazing and the staff couldn't have done more to make sure our day was so special.

When checking in I more or less have to apologise thar I come. Even if I have booked 2 night and 1 nights for 3 customers. Asked for a room with bathtub and was prepared to pay for an upgrade but no interest! Visit the restaurant ordered a pasta, did not taste anything took one bite and ordered a glass of vine instead!

We had a remarkable stay at the Lancashire Manor. Great way of combining authentic and modern design. Pros: - rooms are very well equipped - all the staff are very polite, friendly and always ready to assist - very comfortable beds - cleanness on maximum grade - food was very tasteful Cons: As location is quite distant from Wigan and you will need car to reach the nearby places.

I had the absolute pleasure of seeing my son marry his beautiful bride here. The building lends itself to Christmas and the Great Hall was simply stunning. The staff without exception are professional, courteous and so hospitable. The food was delicious, served impeccably and efficiently. All the guests were so impressed, none moreso than the overnight guests. We unanimously gave the rooms full marks and all enjoyed the wonderful buffet breakfast the following morning. This hotel is a credit to the manager and his marvellous staff.

I've never been out for Xmas Dinner wasn't looking forward to it at all usually we have a house full all changed this year and was only 4 of us. The welcome the food and service was fantastic the table was decorated lovely. We enjoyed it a lot more than we thought we would. So thank you to all of you and would definitely do it again and recommend you.

We had our wedding at Lancashire manor and all I can say is if you want a perfect day then don't look anywhere else! the great hall is just stunning (especially at christmas). All the guests commented on how amazing the hall looked! All the staff where just so helpful and nothing was a problem at all! I would like to give a special mention to Kevin and his team as they just made everything go as smooth as it could possibly go! I would recommend Lancashire manor to anyone looking for a wedding venue as they will just make your day perfect! We will definitely be back!!

Just been here to Wedding as an evening guest. It's set back from the M58 in Pimbo Wigan. From the foyer it appears to be a modern build but when you get inside you find the most amazing hall. With all the added Christmas decorations it was so welcoming and warm. I did see some daytime photographs which where beautiful. This hall is just the most perfect place for a Winter Wedding. The buffet was lovely and the staff where on hand to advise what was on offer which is great for anyone who has allergies. The guests also said the food had been fabulous in the day. Such a beautiful venue.

Yet again, a lovely, relaxing, beautifully serviced stay. Friendly and welcoming staff created a family atmosphere with both laughter and engagement. We attended a Christmas party night, there was 12 of us altogether and we all had a great time, service was excellent , the food very good and the whole night was very well organised and thoroughly enjoyable. the rooms were clean and the beds so comfy.

We cannot rate this hotel highly enough. We had the pleasure of holding our wedding there & the attention to detail was faultless. All our guests commented on how well the facilities were, special mentions for Gill, Kevin & the check in staff who were more than accomodating to all our guests with special requirements. Don't let the approach to the hotel through the industrial estate put you off, once you're in the hotel grounds you don't see anything else.

What a great local hotel we have on our doorstep ! We stayed overnight after an evening event and it was fantastic ! Rooms are lovely decorated and spotless, would not hesitate to recommend or stay again. Staff and reception are very attentive and friendly and breakfast was perfect, cooked well and good variety. This is our second visit and look forward to staying again in the future, great value for money.

It was a great hotel, pity that is is not walking distance to anything as we had no papers in the morning and the hotel didn't supply any. The Wedding venue, the reason we were there, was very impressive, and we had a great day. The restaurant was brilliant , the bar food as also great, the breakfast although plentiful was cold and they literally cleared the place at 9.30am. As we were there for a wedding a late breakfast option would have been nice.

We just had our wedding day here on the 24th of oct. The staff were amazing from beginning to end. We really had to do nothing They organised everything which meant we only had to enjoy the whole day. We cant thank them enough. KEVIN was fab but all the staff were. So happy all the time, nothing was too much trouble. Would recommend this Hotel for any occasion, they are so professional. Finally thanks to tje dj who loves life amd danced the whole NIGHT through. All we wanted was a bed for the night when attending a local party. Everything was efficient and friendly and we were very comfortable in our room. We did not use any of the hotel fascilities but the bar area looked nice.

We got married at this wonderful hotel in 14th September 2019 , from start to finish the venue exceeded our expectations. The staff were amazing and nothing was too much for them , special thanks for Gill for answering all my questions on the build upto the wedding & also for Marcus /sarah for looking after us every stage on our big day. The great hall is a stunning room to hold a wedding venue . The food served both day and night was lovely and couldn't ask for a more perfect day ! Firstly if anyone is looking for a venue that will go above and beyond and take all the stress of the running of the day then look no further! All the staff from Gill who helped organise our big day to Kevin who not only kept the day running smoothly but also helped steady my nerves. I can't fault the hotel they were amazing. We couldn't have asked for a better venue. Even when one of our guests didn't make it home they were helping to find him, calling his mum and seeing if there was any news (he's now safe at home :)) All our guests went out of their way to comment on how brilliant the staff, grounds, The Great Hall and how great the hotel in general was. My daughter and her fiancé chose Lancashire Manor for their wedding as it offered a fantastic venue with plenty of space for guests to stay, and a comprehensive wedding package that catered for everything they wanted. The staff were so helpful - nothing was too much trouble for them and everything we asked for was provided with a smile. The pre-wedding meal on Friday evening was excellent - we were asked to order food on arrival, which made for a much more relaxed start to a meal for 18 people. The food was beautifully cooked and served at a nice relaxed pace - allowing time for people to chat and catch up with relatives etc. The Bride's party had a superb suite of rooms to spend the night before the wedding and to get ready in the morning, with continental breakfast served in the room at 7am and sandwiches etc at 11.00 to keep us going! Again, lovely food promptly served. The Groom's party were also allocated a room for the morning so they could get ready in comfort at the hotel. The Great Hall made an amazing venue for the ceremony, reception and evening party. The staff were well practised at turning the room round from ceremony to reception and then to dance hall in the evening. There was ample space inside the foyer and bar areas for 115 guests to relax while the Hall was re-configured. Reception food was excellent and served quickly and professionally. Kevin, the manager, was always on hand to oversee everything and check with Bride and Groom that their expectations were being met. The bar staff worked tirelessly serving drinks quickly and efficiently, and the residents bar served until the last guests called it a day at 3.00am. Many guests passed comment about how spectacular the venue was and how everything was provided so professionally and attentively to make the day one to remember!! We would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Lancashire Manor to anyone planning a wedding in the future. Finally, I have to mention the photographer, Nigel. He was so relaxed and friendly, putting everyone at their ease, and yet so experienced at getting just the right shots. He knows the hotel well, and worked with the Bride and Groom beforehand to list all the groupings they wanted, and suggested backdrops and candid shots that also worked well. We can't wait to see the finished photos. Thank You Lancashire Manor for a weekend we will always treasure!

Arrived at approximately 6pm due to hold up on motorway and was great full that there was ample parking, was greeted by a lovely receptionist who explained all that was required about the hotel, stayed on second floor and room was clean and well presented, could have done with the heating on too take the cold chill off the air,Well stocked bar and varied food menu,I opted for the fish and chips, chips were not that great and very soggy, fish was nice but too much batter making it look like a larger portion, after our meal we retired too the bar which was busy but quiet, very comfy bed, breakfast menu was ample with cold and hot buffet,only complaints would be why they store the hot food in these terrible containers that you have too take the lid off to access the food, there is no where to put the lid, we ended up passing it to each other, the lid for the beans had been sat down on top of another lid which was covered in the bean juices, the hash browns were cold which I assume was due too the loss of heat from the lids not being replaced, and the bacon was like leather, nice hotel

Eight of us arrived at the Lancashire Manor Hotel on Saturday 28th September 2019 for our one night stay. We were made very welcome by the reception staff. All of our rooms were clean and comfortable. We had dinner in the hotel which was tasty and reasonably priced. We would definitely stay again. Thank you

Nice hotel but not cheap, considering where it is It was quite busy everyone seemed to going to the same wedding as us, I didn't see anyone I know Drinks and meals aren't cheap here, we just had the one pint and one meal here The bed is suite small considering the size of the room, shower and toilet very clean They are the only hotel for miles so they pretty much dominate the area and can charge as much as the market will bear We booked with Best Western, but the price seemed to change come checkout time There is tea and coffee in the room, only instant coffee and limited milk

Came here for our 1st anniversary meal after getting married here. Have to say the food , staff & mood was second to none. Nothing was to much trouble and compliments to the chef. The hospitality really was a joy to behold and I recommend Lancashire Manor. Don't miss out and get yourselves here for a night away, meal or even just a drink at the bar. Stayed here for just one night prior to family funeral. Very pleasant and polite staff with efficient check -in. Comfy bed, clean room and modern facilities meant a good night's sleep. Generous breakfast buffet with good quality strong coffee. Only down side is limited menu for non meat eaters in bar menu. Food not hot,but decent enough.

I attended a wedding on 18.08.2019 and despite mixed weather, the staff at the Lancashire Manor Hotel made the event as pleasurable as if it were sunshine all day long. Food - Excellent, barbecue and ribs were just out of this world Wedding room set up - The Great Hall is a spectacular room, i would strongly recommend anyone who has not seen this venue to take a look, not just for weddings, what a stunning room. Summary - if you have not been - GO, i love the laid back feel, the friendly staff, the picturesque decor and the beautiful horticultural surroundings that give you the impression you could be anywhere in the country.

I had my wedding at Lancashire Manor in June this year and it was the most perfect day. The staff couldn't do enough for us and I didn't have a single concern throughout the day. They made us feel special from start to finish and nothing was too much trouble. The food was lovely too and the buffet was amazing. I stayed at the hotel the night before the wedding and the staff made me feel very special from.the minute I arrived to the minute I left. I have to give a special thanks to Gill the wedding coordinator at Lancashire Manor. For the 10 months run up to the wedding she was fab helping us plan our special day. Spent a lovely Saturday night at the Lancashire Manor with my family. Food was very high quality and the staff were great. The room we were given was amazing, it had a balcony so we could go out and get some fresh air. Breakfast was also very nice. Would return when we are next in the area.

Attended a family wedding at this hotel and it is a stunning venue. From the moment you check in with the lovely reception team to the bar staff, waiting on staff they can't do enough for you. Had a bar meal the night before the wedding had a burger and one of the pizzas (very nice) and then breakfast both days is amazing so much variety in the buffet. The day off the wedding was amazing from start to finish everyone commented on how beautiful the room was and have good the wedding breakfast food and evening buffet was. Bedrooms were clean and tidy really comfy bed and you get a discounted rate with the wedding so even better. Will differently return when back in the area.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for a friends wedding and had a wonderful experience. We arrived the day before the wedding so we could make a weekend of it. Greeted by very friendly staff on check in and the room we were given was beautiful and spotless. We had a meal in the restaurant on our first night and that was very nice. The second day was our friends wedding and all I can say was wow. The great hall was absolutely beautiful, food very nice and great service. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Booked ourselves in 2 months ago for our 1st anniversary meal we got there and the girl there just looked at us blank asking is it for a family of 3 we said no just us 2 we have booked a table.We then got told sit anywhere so we sat by the window and started looking at the menu we were then told we couldn't sit by the window as they were set for breakfast so they asked us to move we did , then after ordering our dinner they came back to tell us we had ordered off the wrong menu and gave us the new one we then were given the wrong wine. After realising we weren't paying grands like we did last year for the wedding they just seem not bothered. Pretty disappointed as we wanted to make this a yearly thing. We then went to Miller and Carter on Parbold Hill and we're rescued. If your getting married here it's great if your in for a Anniversary meal save your money and go elsewhere.

We've stayed at this hotel as part of a National Holidays visit. Comfy modern bedrooms which are very clean. Shower was great and very powerful. Basic appliances such as a chair, tea/coffee, hair dryer and tv which made the stay comfortable. Food was nice in restaurant for evening meal and breakfast. Breakfast had good choices of food and drink. A generally clean and comfy hotel and we would stay here again. The staff were also friendly and we never had any problems. We did noitce at times that a sign direction for reception would be usueful near the guestrooms as a few guests seemed to be getting lost!

we was booked for 2 nights, I had contacted the hotel to ask for ground floor room when i booked it due to disability was give room on 1st floor no lift, lady at check in was miserable but did eventually change our room, she booked us in for dinner at the restaurant for 7pm as we had travelled almost 600 miles we just wanted dinner and a early night, we went for dinner at 7 only to be turned away and told to come back at 7.30 we went back at 7.30 to be told there would be a delay as a coach party was booked in, we eventually ate 2 hours later, the second night same thing again another coach party it seems they are more interested in catering for coach parties that their guests we gave up in the end and had no dinner, wifi was slow, no hot water kettle was broken, some light fittings did not work and it was so noisy on the 2nd night we got up and checked out just after 5am, the bill was wrong they had charged us for breakfast that we never had, will not be going back.

Nice hotel, just don't trust Google maps to show you the way. Food was reasonable but a little over priced for what some of it was to be honest. Very quiet while we were there. Handy for Liverpool/Manchester and surrounding area. Wouldn't stay again.

I just wanted to say that this Hotel, far exceeded our expectations throughout every department. From the greeting at reception to to courteous Bar staff, fantastic food in the restaurant and the help that we needed later in the evening. Stunning hotel, rooms are beautiful and we can't wait to come back.

I'll start with the good. We booked a dbb offer c/w bottle of wine which was waiting for us in our room, ready chilled in an ice bucket, lovely touch. Room was really large with sofa and huge comfy bed, very clean with good size bathroom. We booked to have our evening meal for 7.30pm and was really looking forward to it. However, this is were it feel apart. We ordered from the menu, my partner chose the pie special which was steak & ale, this arrived with chips and vegetables both cold and the pie had a hard crust with poor filling. Then it comes to my meal of CRISPY belly pork with potatoes, unfortunately the belly pork was NOT crispy and very tough with soggy roast potatoes, really awful. I called the waitress over and said I couldn't eat it and was told that I'd been given the wrong knife, ‘you should have been given a steak knife' this I can assure you would not have made it any less tough. I did reorder a different meal but the whole experience was ruined and although I did not tell the waitress the second meal was not great either, I'd had enough by then. We were offered a drink to compensate but unfortunately it did not make up for in adequate cuisine and this being my partners birthday treat rather spoilt the whole experience. Breakfast, however, was good.

Went to a tribute night and stayed over. Hotel was spotless. All staff were polite with just the right amount of attentiveness. We stayed in refurbished part. Room was a tad 'snug' but beautiful. Entertainment was first class - (Dolly Parton aka Jo Alexander) and the disco played songs you actually wanted to dance to :) The meal was excellent and piping hot - service was so smooth. (Only downside - we stayed in a room right next to the entertainment room. The music was louder in here than in the actual venue! (However, had we had stayed to the end - it wouldn't have been a problem) This wouldn't put me off coming back.- I'd just make sure I stayed to the end and maybe paaartaay harder ;)

We stayed here for one night whilst at the races. The receptionist offered us a room in a different part of the hotel as there was a wedding on. This was really kind of her and a lot of hotels wouldn't have done this. The room we stayed in was lovely. Really clean and nicely decorated. Big TV and very comfy bed. We were told we were in the "new' building so I can't speak for the other rooms. I would 100% stay here again. Staff friendly.

We came to Liverpool to watch UEFA finals and everything was completely sold out (or charging crazy fees for a one night stay). I was pleasantly surprised to find this hotel offering great rates and it was only 20 min drive from Liverpool city centre. Very beautiful and relaxing environment in the hotel and the rooms are lovely. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back.

Stayed overnight for a friend's wedding my room was very clean and spacious, staff are very friendly and helpful I even asked one of them to help me with my case to my room and that was no trouble at all. Food is very nice and breakfast in the morning is an all you can eat buffet which kept getting topped up with fresh food.

Stayed in the hotel for a business meeting for two nights. Receptionist on check in and check out with helpful and polite on both occasions nothing to much trouble help with directions to where I needed to be in the morning. Beds extremely comfortable best nights sleep in a hotel in a long time. Clean and tidy room. I dined in the restaurant on both nights both meals being really good. The tiger prawns for starters was amazing and the pizza I have to say was my favourite manor meat feast with an extra topping of mushroom. Really good value for money drinks prices are what you would expect from a hotel so I wasn't surprised. Again the waiting on staff were polite really friendly and nothing seemed to much trouble. Breakfast again both days was really good fresh fruit all you can eat breakfast even got scrambled egg which I was really happy about. All in all this hotel is a fantastic hotel and its staff are a credit to it. Will be looking forward to staying again.

arriving it looked really nice, the receptionist was really polite and helpful, so off I went to my room, where the room looked nice but on closer inspection, there was marks all up the wall, the window seal was falling apart, the floor had not been cleaned properly, the on-suite was not clean, the on;y nice thing about the room was the nice comfortable bed and a good night sleep. after I checked in after a long drive I went to the Bar for some food and drink, the food and drink is very expensive for what you get. I had to educate the barman how to pour a Pint of Guinness as you don't pour it all in one go with a head on it with lots of bubbles. the even meal I had was Steak a small bit which came with 8 Chips, 1 Mushroom, 1 Tomato. the breakfast was nice, you had a selection of foods and drinks which was nice. I can see why the Hotel is expensive for what you get is, whilst I was waiting for my food, I watched the two staff working behind the bar help them self's to Soft drinks more than once within a hour, not sure if its their contract but if your staff eased off the free drinks then you guys might be able to lower your prices.

Only stayed 2 nights and the hotel was nice and the rooms were clean with a lovely shower, the reason why I only gave it 3 stars was that my bar bill was extortionate to say the least, £16 for a double brandy and coke seems very expensive.

Came here at the weekend attending a family wedding. Stayed for two nights in a suite and everything was spot on from start to finish. From arrival in the large carPark with ample spaces and the striking reception entrance. Bedroom suite was clean, comfortable and spacious for the two nights. We ate in the bar on the first night, and food was hot, mouth-watering and delicious. The great hall where the wedding as held was grand and was decorated beautifully. The customer service we encountered was A* and all staff were polite. The toastmaster at the wedding David, was really bubbly, funny & professional. We had a great laugh with him, and it seems a great time was had by all. Will deffo return in the future.

Attended a friends weekend and found the venue very impressive, food and service was excellent. I know the Bride and Groom were very happy with the hotel and had a fantastic day. Would recommend to any prospective wedding couples.

What can I say, the female bar tender was snotty and rude. The food was appalling tasted like it had just been put on a dirty baking tray. The staff are rude and unpleasant . Looked at the reviews of this place seemed okay.. defiantly not. !! Will not be coming back!!!

Attended a wedding here with my partner. We were amazed from start to finish on the professionalism and helpfulness of all staff. In particular reception and the bar//restaurant staff. Nothing was too much trouble and our needs we're catered for. Customer service is the forefront of any business and 1st impressions last and WOW what an impression this hotel and staff have made. Stunning, beautiful venue with second to none customer service. An absolute gem.

This beautiful venue is spoilt by the very rude staff. Having spent thousands here on a wedding the service we received was very poor. Guests were appalled at the service received during check in and check out. Groom had to check out of his room before 11am the morning of his wedding. Bride was expected to move her own belongings the morning of her wedding. Personal items were lost during transfer from 1 room to another with most personal belongings put into incorrect room. We have been told there's nothing we can do about lost items as we should have moved our own things an hour before the wedding???

Lovely hotel. Good staff excellent breakfast. We attended a wedding and it was lovely good buffet and the dj was really good he took requests and kept the dancing going. Drinks quite expensive but this was expected. Very clean

Visited here for Mothering Sunday for a meal in The Great Hall. Service was excellent and the food was superb. We also attended a wedding in October 2018 and found it faultless. Would definitely visit this venue again.

Excellent food, comfortable bedrooms free and sufficient car parking. We went for my niece's wedding. Great facilities, the staff didn't try to move us out, the youngsters stayed partying till 4.30 am.

Last time I stayed here room was excellent. This time not quite so good. Bathroom was tatty around the edges. TV had to be re-tuned each time it was switched on. Door did not lock as battery on card reader was flat. Kettle had water in it when I arrived. One of the spoons was covered in gunk! Bar meals were all hot, tasty and good value. Breakfast is buffet style. Luke warm and pretty bland. Not the worst, but you won't be shouting about it!

Had a great night out in Liverpool with a £35 taxi ride back to Lancashire Manor, made sense as the room and taxi was still cheaper and meant we didnt "over-do" it late into the night and we were straight onto the M6 in the morning. The room was excellent and we could get away early without traffic or expensive parking.

Friendly staff, room very comfortable and suitable for work or leisure. My room was very quiet and easy to concentrate. The staff are so friendly and remembered me from my previous visits which were a few years ago. I felt very at home and it's so convenient for the motorway.

Stayed here for a 3 night get away and it was perfect, quiet and staff always helpful room was clean and comfortable perfect place for a short get away if you just want to relax, close to motorway access if you need to go anywhere

Booked a suite but got a split level monstrosity with the lounge accessible via a rickety spiral staircase totally unsuitable for tall big or old people. In fact the staircase was dangerous as the handrail was low and the treads highly polished so you could not access without flat shoes. My wife could not get upstairs. Cleaning standards were low on the room. A fire escape was left open by members of staff (to save walking presumably) and created a security risk as well as letting in the cold

Just returned from an overnight stay at this hotel with evening meal and breakfast. Positives first our room was lovely and comfortable,clean with everything we could have wanted to make your stay a good one. We had lunch in the bar which was enjoyable the bar prices are high but you expect that from this type of hotel. Staff where all so friendly and help full. Our only issue was the standard of the evening meal. The set menu I had was good value but the tuna was over cooked and the soup tasteless. The desert I had to send back it was so hard the pastry. Shame the meal let the experience down. Breakfast was the usual buffet and again lovely attentive helpful staff couldn't fault them. Not sure if we would visit again the hotel is in the middle of an industrial park with nothing in walking distance.

This hotel was excellent, built around an original Manor House , still retaining original features but tastefully extended and modernised. Our room was excellent with all facilities. The whole hotel was immaculate and well cared for. The landscaped grounds were well kept. The food was very good and service excellent . The staff were very efficient and friendly , special mention to reception staff and Beth. A very pleasant experience.

We both just want to thank you all so so much. Everything was perfect from start to finish and we had so many compliments on how beautiful the venue was and there were no hitches. Perfect planning from the very beginning, we really enjoyed the whole day. Please pass our thanks to the chef, the food was just stunning and the adjustments that were made for me and a few other guests were great. Many thanks to the waiters/waitresses again they were all very friendly and service with a smile. We cannot thank you enough for the help you provided and the other planning staff (apologies I cannot remember their names) Everything was just simply stunning and we would definitely recommend you to all our friends/family in the future for any wedding bookings! We hope to come to the restaurant soon and relive being there at definitely the best day of our lives.

My daughter got married here last weekend and everything went extremely well,the new bridal room was excellent,the ceremony all the meals and buffet all ran like clockwork. The manager that was looking after the day worked extremely hard to make sure everything went well and full marks to him ,sorry I I can't remember his name The staff are friendly and helpful.the bedrooms are modern,very clean and comfortable bed and have a good powerful shower,if you have mobility issues or have heavy luggage request a ground floor room as there are no lifts to the second floor.we stayed for two nights and ate in the restaurant the food was generally good but the breakfast could have been a bit hotter.we would definitely recommend the hotel for a wedding.

It was all going so well!A very smart hotel,our room(29)was spacious,with a huge bed and great shower.Dinner on the first night was excellent and the staff very attentive.The second night in the restaurant was not so good.The staff were distracted by a large,late arriving group and the dessert was inedible so was sent back!We couldn't be bothered to wait for a replacement.Buffet breakfasts are never great and this one was particularly poor.Food was luke warm on the first morning so we didn't have cooked on the second morning.It was too bad as overall,it's a very good hotel.

Stayed here for a few days on business. Room was clean, foods good, good atmosphere and friendly staff. Bar staff friendly and professional. Shame it doesn't have baths in the rooms, they may have but the one I stayed in didn't. It's close to motorway so no problem finding it Menu not bad. Not far from Liverpool,Wigan.

Attended New Years Eve Function. Warm and friendly welcome with arrival drinks and canapes. The food was amazing with great service, followed by live entertainment with disco, the whole evening was brilliant. A must for anyone looking to celebrate New Years Eve.

What a fabulous place to hold a wedding I have never been to a wedding like it. Our daughter got married at the Lancashire Manor this month and I cant praise the venue the staff everybody involved enough. The whole day ran as smoothly as clockwork words cant describe how beautiful this hotel is. Me and my partner have recently returned from a wedding, being held at this hotel. The venue itself is based on an industrial estate however as you drive through the gates, you would never know that is where it was situated. Well maintained gardens and a large car park upon arrival, with a modern and striking front entrance to the hotel, beautifully lit with Xmas trees. Reception was friendly and very efficient, paying particular thanks to Sue who was lovely throughout our stay. We proceeded to our room and passed through the bar & restaurant. Whilst the hotel has a traditional yet charming feel about it, the bedroom was modern, clean and well equipped for our two night stay. Night before the wedding we invested time in eating in the bar area and spoke with several staff, all polite and well mannered. During our time at the hotel we spoke with David, several times, who in fact we believe was the master of ceremonies (main contact) on the day of the family members wedding we were attending. David was funny, bubbly, well presented and professional in his duties to the wedding and guests. From start to finish the whole experience of our stay was 1st Class and would not hesitate in recommending this hotel to family and friends whatever the occasion.

Excellent service despite the kitchen staff catering for a very large Christmas party, gluten free options readily available, really fast food. Decor was very pleasing and staff were very polite and friendly

We attended a wedding here and although the venue is beautiful, it is in the middle of an industrial estate. The staff were very friendly, the food was good (for a mass catered event) and the room was basic, but clean.

Overall it's a well maintained hotel with good amenities, the evening meal selection is good but at breakfast when i was there the choices were limited and some dishes in the buffet needed to be replenished. The staff are friendly and helpful for the most part, some slightly more friendly than others.

Once you have managed to overcome the frustration of not being able to find its entrance for ages and your room amongst most bizarre order of room numbers in what seems like a maze of corridors stretching for miles, it is actually a quite nice hotel. Three stars for ridiculousness but four stars for comfort, cleaniness and good food.

We were in the area for a sports event & Lancashire Manor appeared to be the best option around. It did the job for us. Staff were all friendly & efficient & the hotel itself clean & well kept. The old manor part of the property adds warmth & character, the modern extension blends in pretty well & the grounds are pleasant with ample free parking. Our room was a reasonable size but functional in style with a pokey but well equipped bathroom. Breakfast is a self service hot & cold buffet & was perfectly good. We didn't eat dinner in-house but perhaps would if we stayed again as the restaurant has a tad more soul then we were expecting in a chain hotel. Overall I'd say it does a very good job for the money.

New Year's Eve was great food and atmosphere was lovely so we have booked for this new year and are looking forward to it staff we're happy to help and nice rooms we're fine clean and tidy breakfast was very good plenty of it

Clean, modern and well equipped rooms. WiFi was excellent in my room and fast enough for me to watch Sky in the bar. I picked the stuffed chicken breast in white wine sauce with grilled courgette and tarragon mash. Very nice and at £15 about par for hotel mains. Would recommend if you stop over in this area. Breakfast is buffet style with usual fayer on offer.

Really good base for a trip to Liverpool. Beautiful old House transformed into an efficient and quiet restful modern Hotel On an industrial estate...don't be put off....it was really quiet! Tranquil and tasteful. Staff were all helpful and all the facilities were good. Clean, comfortable and good food. What's not to like? Parking was easy...we had a mini coach. Journeys into town and to Port Sunlight Village and to Crosby Beach were neat.

Just celebrated my daughters wedding at lancashire manor . Friends and family stayed over, check in was quick and rooms were excellent . Very helpful friendly staff throughout the day and evening . Good delicious and drinks at the bar were reasonably priced ! Thank you fir baking my daughters wedding a day to remember !

Had my wedding here on Sat 20th October and was absolutely fantastic couldn't have gone any better me and my wife have had nothing but good things to say about it the staff are lovely especially the dark haired receptionist (dont know her name) always went out of here way to help rooms lovely bridal suite amazing and the great hall is absolutely stunning highly recommend getting married here if your looking for somewhere

Booked here for 2 nights for a wedding. Absolutely faultless, the venue and staff and hotel was all first class. The bar food was good although a tad expensive. It is on an industrial estate but still has nice grounds and plenty of parking. Don't forget this building was here well before the industrial estate. Would definitely visit again.

Looks as a countryside independent hotel. Good rooms, cozy areas, nice bar, tasty food, welcoming staff. Good choice in the area at an affordable price. Great location near motorway entrance for Liverpool or Manchester areas.

We was at lancashire manor at the weekend for my granddaughter's wedding, absolutely beautiful meal for the reception and buffet at night was excellent, we stayed over till sunday morning, breakfast was delicious staff pleasant and helpful, the rooms are lovely and clean as is the whole hotel really enjoyed ourselves beautiful

Stayed here for four nights as I was visiting the Edgehill University. Hotel building and grounds were beautiful but just a pity it's located in an industrial area. Reception staff were underwhelming when checking in and out. Internet was not working for half a day and when I rang reception they offered only that it was not working. Fire alarm went off twice but no interaction or direction from staff on either occassion. Rooms were a bit older and could do with some renovations but were clean and the bed comfortable. Has breakfast in the hotel each morning and the food was plentiful and fresh. Overall an ok place to stay if you are between destinations.

From start to finish I had a thoroughly pleasant stay at this lovely hotel. The service is beyond friendly and welcoming, the restaurant and bar food was delicious. The room was modern and cleaned to a very high standard, the wifi also worked just fine. Breakfast was plentiful and of great quality. Check in and out went smoothly and overall no request was too much trouble. I cannot recommend this hotel enough, truly a hidden gem.

From the robotic reception to the queue to check out it was obvious that the management don't want to get out of their office and sort customer service. The WiFi doesn't work properly, there is no air conditioning, and my room was immediately above the entrance to the hotel so couldn't open a window if I wanted to sleep past 7am. The bedside lamps are so dim they are impossible to read by, the hotel is on an industrial estate and a quick glance at the bar prices online had me visiting an off licence before I arrived. Breakfast was ok, hence the one star.

Stayed here on night of 22/09/18. Room was well furnished and the bed the most comfortable I've slept in. Evening meal however was not up to expectations. My companion and I both chose the plaice coujons as a starter and found them over cooked and hard. I then had the beef and she chose the chicken. Although she was more than happy with her chicken, I found the beef inedible, so tough and green beans so hard you could snap them!! We both chose the fruit salad for desert - well if three types of melon and 2 cubes of pineapple make fruit salad!!! Seeing as one starter choice was trio of melon looked like they had a glut of melon. Breakfast was acceptable and an improvement on dinner. Although the fresh fruit was. Yes you've guessed it, a trio of melon.

I was a guest at a wedding at the weekend and booked a room to stay overnight. We was very impressed with the staff and the organisation of the whole event . The way the staff changed all the function rooms around for the different parts of the wedding from the service to the meal to the night do was amazing . The hotel is very clean and well laid out as was the rooms . My only complaint was the price of drinks at the bar £18.50 for 2 gins and over £5 for a pint . I find this a false economy as lots and lots of guests was bringing their own drinks because of the extortionate prices . If you dropped your prices you would sell a lot more drinks . Apart from that I would recommend this hotel to everybody. And I would stop again .

Wanted a nice Sunday Roast without the pub atmosphere. I rang to check if they still did the Sunday meal. We arrived at 1.15 to find a few diners in the restaurant. We placed our orders and were served by staff we recognised from the last time we visited. The food was just as good as I remembered, and the service great.

Excellent facilities in room; everything worked! Very helpful staff. The location is a little strange, on an industrial estate, but convenient for my purposes. The hotel is presumably a converted manor house, the character of which has been largely lost, but there are some charming features which remain.

My husband & I attended a wedding here. The setting is perfect with lovely gardens, although it is in the middle of an industrial estate. The service was outstanding, all staff members did a fantastic job. The food was great. The place is stunning for a wedding. We would recommend this to anyone. Only one downside, it is very difficult to find without a sat nav

Had a sit down meal here for a little boy christening.The service here was amazing couldn't of asked for more ! Nothing was to much trouble from the minute we booked till we left! It was perfect just what we wanted and the carvery was delicious everyone commented on how nice the food was. Would definitely recommend.

Stayed here for a night as part of a wedding reception. Room was really good. Spacious and well equipped with everything needed. Safe, iron, kettle/drinks facilities, tv, hairdryer etc. WiFi good in most areas. Breakfast was also very good, self service. Drinks prices slightly high but that's normal for hotel/function venues.

Love going here for food, service and price, I cannot express my love for this place and cannot fault it. I would urge everyone to try, the staff go above and beyond to satisfy and I am certain this will help this place be even more successful.

I chose this hotel due to it's proximity to the Wigan area because my father had traced his genealogy to Wigan and surrounding towns, which we wanted to visit. The pricing of the rooms seemed reasonable and the online reviews seemed good enough. My conclusion was that it was a good value for what we wanted to do, but it would not be a destination where I felt I would want to go to, or a place to stay unless traveling from one location to another. The 3 rooms we stayed in were clean as well as the common areas. They were fairly maintained, but not all things like lighting worked, and ventilation in each room was lacking and stuffy. There was a restaurant on premises that was ok, but not great. The location is near a busy highway and commercial areas which are not attractive, but the ride into the grounds themselves was pleasing. I was happy it had a fitness center since it was more challenging to know where to run. The staff and service were good gratefully relocating my father to a first floor room since he was elderly. In conclusion, the amenities, service and comfort of the beds were worth the price of the rooms and met our needs.

The room was excellent but for the evening meal & breakfast the plates for hot food were cold !!. We were obviously served a selection of frozen vegetables ( by the way they were cut ) and they were hardly cooked.

We had our full wedding at Lancashire Manor from checking in the night before I could not fault one member of staff! Nothing was too much and they ran the day perfectly! Everything was so efficient from us swapping rooms to serving the meal and turning the rooms around. We had the roast beef as our meal and everyone raved about how delicious it was! For anyone wanting to get married in the north-west I couldn't recommend this venue enough!

We attended a cabaret night here in July which included bed and breakfast. The room was basic and clean with everything we needed. The evening started with a lovely three course meal followed by coffee and mints and the cabaret, a Kenny Rogers tribute act, was really good and had everyone singing along. The venue was the great hall which was wonderful. Would recommend.

Meeting with friends for a retirement we were staying one night. Our double room was a nice room quite big, sadly I can't say the same for the bed which was tiny for 2 people. There was enough room for a better sized bed. Oh well we thought that's fine we're only staying one night. Getting ready for bed later I discovered we had one towel between the 2 of us. Complained to the duty manager Kevin who said he would send some towels up. Also complained re the size of the bed, he said you should've come back to reception when you checked in. Later signing in to the WiFi i couldn't decide whether the first digit was an L an i or a one or the 7th digit a b, or a 6 the code was written on the key card sleeve. I decided to ring reception only problem was the information book only had one page with no information as to how to contact reception. Got changed out of my pj's and went down to reception. The night porter was there by this time, he gave me a printed copy of the WiFi code complained re the information book. Had the combination of things which had gone wrong not wound me up I would have just gone to bed. Breakfast was ok, checkout was ok. The hotel is in the middle of an industrial estate. For my experience I would not recommend.

This is a lovely hotel, the rooms were lovely and clean and the garden has a great setting. There is also ample parking. Reception staff were friendly efficient and helpful. The site of the hotel is a bit isolated as it is positioned on an industrial estate but I don't think it really matters. There is a restaurant and bar so you can have meals and a drink. I would stay here again it was great value for money .

A lovely hotel and the perfect setting for our daughters wedding. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. The wedding venue was tastefully decorated and the catering was a little pricey but very good.

Attended wedding at the hotel, the whole day run so smoothly and nothing was to much trouble for all of the staff. Both wedding breakfast and evening buffet food was delicious and plenty of it. We stayed over at the hotel as well we got a discounted rate with the wedding party with breakfast included which again there was plenty of and the staff were welcoming with most of the buffet help yourself while the staff got you your coffee/tea and toast. Standard double room was clean, tidy and one of the comfortable beds I've stayed in in a long time. Thanks again for an amazing day

Attend here for a wedding, The grounds are beautiful, The staff are very friendly, The food was average, The drink prices were stupid! How can you have the cheek to charge what you charge for drinks is beyond me. £25 for a bottle of average Prosecco, served with cheap flutes. £4.80 for a pint! Don't even get charged that in a city centre. Over £10.50 for a double gin and cheap Brit vic tonic and served in a standard glass not even a ballon glass! I would highly recommend you do not have your wedding functions or any for that matter here. I let the staff know of my disappointment of the over charging of drinks, not their fault but clearly management need to wake up. Greedy at its finest

Stayed here 22 June lovely hotel really nice function room was really lovely, very clean bed very comfortable shower very good, quiet corridors nicely decorated. Had a really good time and would definitely stay there again

Checked in and had instructions to cut through the bar and restaurant to get to stairs for room which was a bit of a rabbit run. I was please with my room as there was plenty of light and no other rooms next to it. Tv was adequate and room was basic but comfortable with very good shower facilities. Dinner was Pleasant and one waitress very nice, the food was average. In the morning though, the staff were quite miserable with no sign of a 'good morning'. Toast comes in one choice of white and tea is in the pot as it comes. It's an industrial area stop off with no frills but good enough for 1 night

Had our wedding at Lancashire Manor on 10/02/18. We had an amazing day. All the team at Lancashire Manor were amazing, Food was fabulous, everyone still comments about the food now. Gill is a fabulous wedding coordinator and makes you feel at ease throughout the whole process, and keep you organised. Kevin the manager was there thoughtout the whole day, keeping us on track, and making sure the day was perfect for us, Nothing was too big of an ask, he set off fireworks for us which was a big part of our wedding. We can't thank all your team enough, we had a fabulous wedding with fantastic memories thanks to everyone who had an involement in our day. Enjoyable weekend and excellent service throughout.

Recently visited this establishment to deliver a presentation to a local company, I had never been to the hotel previously but I was made to feel at home from the time I walked through the door (07:30 hrs). I immediately noticed how clean and tidy the reception and restaurant areas were.. it simply had a great feel about the place. As a guest speaker I was supported throughout my day, IT support, refreshments etc.. nothing was too much trouble.. I left an item of my kit behind and they were on to it immediately - communication is key for me and they got back to me as promised having located the missing article.. A truly happy accommodating bunch of people, lovely grounds and super efficient service - next time I am down their way for an over night conference I will be definitely booking in!

Beautiful hotel and wedding venue. From start to finish excellent service. Gill the wedding coordinator sorted out the booking and all the planning, very efficient and helpful throughout . All the reception team were great, Jan was lovely, friendly and helpful as were the rest of the team. The food was really nice, everyone commented on it, all served together and piping hot, it was exceptional! David was the Master of Ceremonies on the day and I met David on several occasion before the big day, what can I say, fantastic at his job, ensured everything ran smoothly and to plan , nothing was to much trouble, he has a great sense of humour and was at hand throughout the night! Stayed at this hotel on a trip to the tall ship regatta the hotel is very luxurious and the rooms are large with comfortable beds . If any one was looking for a wedding venue this is the place they performed around four weddings over the long weekend.

This hotel is in a lovely old farmhouse type building set in an industrial estate (which was a bit odd on approach). The hotel is very nice with a big comfortable bar area, outdoor patio seating and friendly staff. The rooms are clean and comfortable if beginning to show their age a little bit. That being said we had a very nice stay and would come back. The price was also great, being half the price of the closest Travelodge and infinitely more pleasant.

Stayed there for a wedding ...lovely place ..rooms are spacious and clean ..breakfast was awesome ..can really reccomend the place lovely rustic feel to the hotel ..pity the weather wasnt forthcoming ..hotel is a little hard to find but its well worth the price.

We chose this hotel as a base when visiting Liverpool as it is close to the rail link. We received a warm welcome by friendly receptionist. We had a very pleasant room, extremely quiet considering how near we were to the motorway. The evening receptionist, Melanie very kindly printed off the train timetable for us which made getting into Liverpool so easy and relaxing. The restaurant staff were very efficient and friendly and meals, delicious. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Arrived for the wedding breakfast, thought we would book into our room to relax found that there had been an error with it but there was vacancies so booked in got our room, had a quick rest then went downstairs everything went well sandwiches as a stopgap before the photos then through to the old hall everything went perfect ?? a roast dinner was great perfect I could go on but all was perfect, only drawback was next day booked out paid cash and went home, Tuesday my wife had had money taken from her account because we were a no show, took several phone calls to get a refund. Would recommend this venue

Great wedding venue. All in one room which was top standard. Friendly staff and comfortable rooms, although the cleanliness wasn't 100%. Dust and dirt under the beds. The food was lovely. Plenty to choose from at breakfast time.

This is the perfect venue for a wedding, the food the staff everything was done to an excellent standard all the staff are very helpful. The meal itself was very hot and served very quickly all the guests were impressed even the veggies. The buffet was plentiful from the Ceremony to the evening everything went smoothly the bedrooms are of a high standard and the breakfast next morning was good. Attended a wedding at the hotel and what a great location for a wedding. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the day was really well organised. The meal was excellent, it was served hot and quickly to all guests. The evening buffet was also really good. The Great Hall where the ceremony was conducted was quickly set up for the meal and then changed again promptly for the evening reception. There was lots of room for guests to wait in the bar area whilst this was happening, There were plenty of people serving behind the bar and there was never a queue which is often not the case with private functions in other places. The bedrooms were clean and modern and the breakfast the next day was also excellent. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this hotel as a venue for a wedding. At first the location doesn't look picturesque but there are some lovely areas for photographs outside, parking, a hotel, good food and good service, what more could you want. Thank you for a lovely day.

The room is spotlessly clean, modern and comfortable. All of the amenities I want and expect are available including free fast wifi. The bathroom was good with a lovely hot shower. Dinner was delicious, and breakfast was OK - only thing is I'd like more croissants, as there were only the flavoured ones available. Not really anything wrong with that though - someone just got there before me! Overall excellent, and highly recommended.

Though this hotel is on an industrial business Park it is quiet and the setting around the rooms do not show the workshops around. All staff are exceptionally polite and helpful. Great wedding venue but all weddings held, every day with guests staying, did not interfere or disrupt our stay as non wedding guests. Would recommend this hotel for easy access to the M58 and all routes beyond.

I had my 50th Birthday party in the Lathom Suite on February 9th. Everything from the initial planning with the staff, right through to the event went really well. Lovely room, friendly helpful staff, good hotel room rates for family and friends, I would recommend holding any celebration event here. Lancashire Manor and it's staff helped to make my birthday celebration a really special experience.

Absolutely gorgeous day, staff were wonderful. Could not fault the whole experience from start to finish. The food at the wedding was lovely and the food we had in the restaurant the night before was faultless. Would highly recommend

Had two nights here on business. Lovely rooms with a nice bar. Set up for the restaurant is a little unusual as it is open to a walkway to the rooms, but not at all unpleasant. Food good so I ate there both nights. One pet hate (not the hotel's fault) was a man in the bar one night watching football on his phone with the sound turned up high. Obviously hadn't heard of earphones! I know I could have asked him to turn it down, but then am I guilty of being a grumpy old man? Lovely staff too: I left a file there and had to return to collect it after my stay. They had it ready and waiting for me on reception. My sat nav took me past this hotel, so be careful when using the post code.

My Partner and I attended a birthday celebration. We booked in to the hotel when we arrived. The staff were very helpful from the time we arrived to us going home the following day, allocated us our room. The room itself was very good, immaculate and the shower in the room was excellent, one of the best I've used. We had a really good time at the celebration. The evening buffet was excellent, good choice of curry and Irish stew served with crusty bread and naan bread. The breakfast in the morning was really good, plenty to choose from and piping hot. The staff were very helpful asking what we would like. I would definitely recommend the hotel to other people and will probably stay again. Thank you to all the staff.

I was at my friends wedding there last night and had a amazing time , food was lovely , breakfast was lovely , staff were very helpful , room was very nice but the beds are very small for a double both in length and width , but overall an amazing stay x

Have stayed in this charming hotel a number of times now. It's a fantastic hotel to host an event at. The bedrooms are well appointed and the breakfast taken in the light airy restaurant is very good. They have a two venue locations the historic “Great hall” with its balcony & the modern “Latham suite” both with there own bar. With a lovely outside area it has plenty of parking and good communication links.

Booked in for the New Years Eve Gala Dinner, food was delicious and piping hot, in fact there was just to much!!I did notice they catered for people with special diet requirements. The singer was really good, and the DJ kept the dance floor full, sign of a good DJ. The rooms were nice and clean, good size shower, couldnt fault anything. Would certainly return.

We attended a birthday celebration at the Lancashire Manor hotel last evening. On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff who allocated our room with the minimum of fuss. Our room was comfortable, clean and very well appointed. The function room allocated for the birthday celebration was excellent the bar staff worked very hard and drinks served quickly throughout the evening with hardly any need to wait. The buffet served later in the evening was also of a good quality very hot and tasty. Throughout the evening the hotel staff made sure that everything ran smoothly and a good time was had by all. Following an excellent night sleep in a very comfortable bed we went down for breakfast which was included in the room price. There was an excellent choice and we went for the full English breakfast which included black pudding, mushrooms, hash browns, and all of the usual trimmings. Again the restaurant staff made sure that we had everything we needed, nothing was too much trouble. When it came to booking out we were dealt with in a very courteous manner and again I commend all of the staff at this hotel for making our stay so pleasant. I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to book again.

Fantastic Hotel. Friendly staff, really good food. clean, comfortable rooms! We had a group of 36 staying and reception was brilliant getting everyone checked in with a minimum of fuss. The highlight had to be the evening meal. We had a show to get to in Preston and the restaurant managed to turn all 36 of us in little over an hour. Fantastic.

Stayed overnight on a coach trip, we had to have our evening meal early as we were going to a Theatre in Preston. We were served a three course meal in under one hour. The food was excellent with fast and efficient service. Our bedroom (37) although absolutely fine the only thing was the shower which could do with a bit of new sealer round the bottom where it meets the tiles. Breakfast was hot and plenty of choice, what was nice was that the toast was ordered and brought to the table, you did not have to queue at a toaster as in other hotels we have stayed in. The staff were very friendly especially the young waitress at breakfast. If we were ever back in the area we would definitely stay here again

Came here for familys wedding and we was looked after from start to finish! Venue is amazing and food was also amazing! Staff was really helpful and friendly and drinks were reasonable price! Entertain was really good as well and able to request songs! Bedrooms were really clean and big! Bed was so comfy and big had a really good nights rest! Shower was big and spacious and they provide a iron and board if needed! Breakfast was really nice and plenty of choice! Would recommend if anyone is looking for a wedding venue or just a night away as we will be back soon!

I recently attended a wedding at this lovely charming hotel, in the Great Hall function suite on the 29th December. Me and my partner were fortunate to have over night accommodation booked too. room and bathroom were very clean. From start to finish the service, friendliness and positive attitude from staff and management was second to none in both the Great Hall & our bedroom. A special mention goes to the wedding MC David, who provided an impeccable service to the Bride & Groom and all guests. He couldn't be faulted for his service and attention to detail,continuously checking if everything was ok throughout the day. Well done to all & we hope to return on a leisure break in the not too distant future. Thank you.

Restaurant Is overall of poor standard. ‘Carvery style ‘ roast dinner on Boxing Day. Food was served from a small catering trolley. Poor selection of vegetables, standard of food was not good. Meat over cooked. Gravy was far too rich. And no offer of alternative for young children. Vegetarian option was appalling. A ‘Mediterranean style vegetable filo pastry parcel ‘ unfortunately just covered in tomato purée , not impressed at all !! Garlic bread Starter was offered as option for children after our request. However, salmon was tinned salmon on a plate with three potato cakes , would not serve it at home if we were struggling for money, let alone as a festive dinner in a restaurant!!! Dessert of creme brûlée was too rich and served in a mug ?! Not great. Unfortunate as we have eaten here earlier in the year and enjoyed the meal. The staff were fairly polite. Would not recommend for quality of Food, particularly on a special occasion such as Christmas.

Visited here for one of the party night's and stayed over. The whole stay was excellent with friendly staff. Room was very good - clean, spacious, large comfy bed and excellent shower facilities. Breakfast was self service and the food was excellent. Would definitely stay here again!

We have visited this hotel before it became a Best Western.The improvement is very good.We where welcomed by a very nice lady on the reception desk who booked us in very quickly as we had prepaid.We where given a very good room on the ground floor this was good as my wife is disabled and finds stairs difficult.The room its self was very well appointed with all the usual things,the bed was very good,bath room and shower also very good. We had a drink in the bar in the evening the bar person needed a bit more training but was okay.We had prepaid for breakfast this was the only let down the cooked breakfast was not at all hot there seemed to be a lack of staff, no butter on our table, only offered one pot of coffee . Over all not a bad experience.

This is my second time returning within a year to what has to be the hotel I most look forward to staying in, the hotel is fantastic. Lovely staff who are willing to go the extra mile, gorgeous food and a great atmosphere throughout all the hotel. I attended my friends wedding a few weeks ago and it was lovely, the help and advice my friends received while booking was phenomenal. No matter whether your staying at this hotel for a function or business you won't be disappointed.

I stayed here on business as I have many times in the past for a week early November and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I stay over at different hotels at least once every month and this is by far the cleanest, friendliest, and most professional hotel I stay in. Not to mention the quality of the food from which there is a best menu to choose from, and two different areas to eat, a casual very comfy bar, or a more formal restaurant. Staff were great, breakfast is amazing, room was clean, WiFi worked fine, just a real breath of fresh air.

Came here for a business trip and the meeting we were having went on quite late so we decided to finish off in the bar, there was a bell to ring for service but in the end we felt guilty about ringing as it made the night porter swear saying things like ‘for f@@ks sake' and ‘af@@king gain' so we gave up and went to bed

Quite simply it ought to be illegal to advertise the fact you get wifi if the strength is so low it would be quicker to pay to have it installed in your room An absolute disgrace Living in rural cornwall the strength and service is quicker than this place ! 20 minutes to connect isn't wifi Stay late at work rather than endure this! Utter disgrace don't promise what you don't have

I stayed here on the 11/11/2017 for the LGUK works do, the venue itself is absolutely gorgeous and the staff are all lovely. The rooms are modern, well cleaned and just all over amazing, I didn't know what to expect from the hotel as I've never travelled up north (I'm from Birmingham) but it was just 12/10 amazing. The best hotel and nights sleep I've ever stopped in, cant wait to visit again!

Was pleasantly suprised how nice the hotel is very nice rooms all staff are friendly and helpful. Although the bar was a little pricey we enjoyed our friends wedding . It's just off the M58 but you wouldn't realise it We stayed for one night and had breakfast in the morning (extra cost) but was worth the price

My wife and I married at the Best Western Lancashire Manor hotel in October 2017. What can I say? From our initial meeting with Gill, the wedding planner, to the actual day itself went as smooth as clockwork. Gill is extremely professional, and kept us updated throughout the planning process. The day itself went without a hitch. Everything was timed to perfection. As a venue, you couldn't ask for better - it is a beautiful setting - especially for a wedding. We could not fault any of the staff. The receptionist, Elke, went above and beyond to ensure all our guests were catered for. Kevin, our MC ensured that the day went like clockwork and the catering staff were just so professional. The wedding breakfast was fantastic - all our guests (without exception) commented on how good the food was - not only the meal afterwards, but also the BQ buffet we chose. I cannot praise the Lancashire Manor and its staff enough. They did everything they could to ensure we had the perfect wedding, and to be honest nothing was too much trouble. If you're looking for a perfect venue for that perfect day - look no further. The Best Western Lancashire Manor hotel has it all - and more. Thank you to Gill, Elke, Kevin and the whole team for making it a day to remember.

Stayed here for 3 nights on a business trip and wasn't disappointed! Room was nice and spacious very clean with a nice comfortable bed , staff were very pleasant , wouldn't hesitate to stay here again , gorgeous hotel !!

I hosted an event at Lancashire Manor yesterday and I just wanted to say how fantastic the facilities are! the staff were on hand to support all of our needs and the event was a huge success. The manager on shift at the time kept checking we had everything we needed throughout the day and the reception team handled our booking perfectly. I would highly recommend this Hotel and it's facilities. Danielle

Only stayed here for 1 night, the room was a good size and bathroom was modern with a very good shower. Unfortunately the room needed a good clean, badly marked walls and a very dirty carpet let the hotel down. The bar & restaurant staff were very good, the reception staff on check in and check out need to improve their hospitality skills.

The hotel looks very nice, the people at the reception were nice as well The rooms looks a bit old. the bed is awful and looks like it's been decades they haven't been changed. The restaurant was ok for the breakfast and the bar Is good

My Wife and I recently visited the Lancashire Manor Hotel restaurant on a Saturday night. The approach to the Hotel was via a long road with no lighting and surrounded by industrial units. We eventually arrived at the Hotel. On entering the reception area we had to fight our way through a Wedding crowd to get to the restaurant. It was a surprise to find the restaurant was almost empty with only a few diners. The dining area lacked any atmosphere. After our starter we ordered the main course. My Wife had a rump steak. It was terrible and like a piece of rubber and virtually indigestible. I had a lamb shank but this was quite small with very little substance. Because the meals were quite sparse we expected a tray of vegetables but this did not happen. We looked at the dessert menu which had a very poor selection - most had some chocolate. We decided not to order and left feeling very disappointed. I usually give good reviews and I'm reluctant to be too critical. However this restaurant was a big let down and sadly we would not visit again.

over priced for what it is.the outside grounds is lovely as you go into the car park but was let down by the actual hotel. the rooms were very hot, nice room but basic. the woman on reception seemed to be there when we checked in at night and then the afternoon after when we checked out and seemed to struggle by herself. the menu was very overpriced so we ended up eating somewhere else.

When looking for the perfect venue for our wedding, just like everyone we searched high and low, but everywhere was either too expensive, too small, or came across too full of itself....not Lancashire Manor. We had never heard of it so decided to drive up for a look. On the way you cut through an industrial estate, which I imagine would put many people off, but don't be fooled, once in the grounds of the hotel you feel like you are anywhere but. From planning the wedding with the wonderful Gill, the receptionists, the waiting staff, all the way up to the day itself which was overseen by Kevin and Chris, the staff could not do enough for us. They treated us like friends they'd known for years and as though we were the only couple whose wedding they had to organise. They are very experienced and give advice to help you along the way, but just like us, if you have a few things that you want that are outside of the norm, they are only too willing to help. The Great Hall is described as "The Best Room in Lancashire" and boy does it not disappoint. From the huge stone fireplace, to the crystal chandeliers, all the way to the internal balcony, it is perfect for wedding celebrations. The whole day went without a hitch, and you never felt rushed by any of the staff but everything still ran on time and like clockwork. The food for the main meal was delicious and the buffet was tailored exactly how we wanted it and believe me there was plenty. All of our guests were made to feel very welcome and relaxed and the amount of them who have truly told us that it was the best wedding they have ever been to is unreal, and a lot of the credit for that must go to Lancashire Manor. I'm so glad we chose Lancashire Manor, and I can't imagine us getting married anywhere else now, it just wouldn't have been the same.....it was perfect!!!

We had a family wedding here yesterday. What a place for a wedding! It is gorgeous inside and out. Extremely well organised with excellent food. The staff are friendly and helpful. We had a family meal the night before the wedding. Excellent, food and service. The wedding...very well organised..everything ran like clockwork. With an overnight stay...comfortable bed, warm and clean room. What more could anyone want.

Lovely surroundings. Booked last minute for 1.30. Service prompt and courteous, although we could hear staff chatting and playing music in the ante-room. The set menu gave a choice of roasts, a vegetarian option, and a fish option. Food presented beautifully. Only slightly disappointed with the roast potatoes, but it is difficult to get them right for me, as I like them straight out of the oven., The new potatoes served were delicious, as was the rest of the food. Excellent value with 2 or 3 course options.

2 day work stay - very close to office which was great. Room nice double aspect - bit of a trek to furthest corner of hotel. Bar has great range of beers. Breakfast was good. Wifi is sporadic but OK. Gym is compact to say the least but has good equipment. Restaurant and bar food menus good selection and food was very good quality. Service was OK - not amazing, not bad. Building is nice combination of new and old, well decorated rooms and public areas. Would stay again.

I travelled from Crete to attend my nieces wedding at the Lancashire Manor hotel. The staff were very welcoming, despite having a difficult guest , in my opinion they couldn't have done anymore to over come the problem ( awkward guest). The rooms were spotless ( I have run my own cleaning business for the last 20years). Breakfast was very busy as they had 2 wedding parties in that morning but still coped with the heavy traffic. The wedding it's self went like clockwork and the wedding breakfast was of excellent quality, again lovely waiting staff . I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of holding their reception there. 'Well done Lancashire Manor Hotel'

Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights at the end of September, we found the staff to be very helpful and all areas clean and very well maintained. Restaurant food both dinner and breakfast was first class would be happy to recommend this hotel.

Very far of the Best Western Plus standards: - lady at the reception, a smile could have been helpful to feel me welcomed in this hotel... - the room very dark, need to be repainted - sanitary, more precisely toilet bowl, at the arrival, aparently already used ! Yes! It was visible! And the 3 following days, the same marks remained on the tap and sink... unbelievable but true! The only good point, the staff at the restaurant!

From check in to check out a lovely hotel experience. Reception staff were friendly and helpful as I checked in, making sure I knew restaurant serving times for both an evening meal and breakfast. My double room was very spacious and spotlessly clean. It was located at the far end on the hotel which meant going upstairs and walking a little distance but this meant the room was very quiet and I heard no noise from either outside or other guests. The room had no bath but a nice powerful shower. Free wifi was a bonus but connection was hit and miss in the room- worked perfectly in public areas.

We booked this venue for my daughters wedding. From start to finish the staff at lancashire manor were so helpful. As my daughter and her fiancé live in Australia it was down to myself to do most of the planning . Gill the co-ordinator helped put me at ease and guided me through all of the stages. She made it so easy for me. What can I say ... when the big day arrived the room was stunning .... Kevin and his team had set the room out exactly as I asked and it looked amazing. Nothing was too much trouble, the day was perfect in every way. The food was beautiful and I would highly recommend the BBQ in the evening. We have had so many people remark on what a wonderful venue it was and my husband and I could not have been prouder that day. After the wedding the bar remained open for our guests to enjoy a nightcap (or 2) And then a delicious breakfast the next morning. We stayed for a wedding at the begining of the month and we honestly cannot speak highly enough of the grounds and the staff. Beautiful hotel, with a lovely converted barn used for the wedding ceremony and breakfast. We ate in the restaurant the night before and the food was fantastic and the young girls working in there were very friendly and professional. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to get married or just looking at somewhere to get away for the night. Our room was recently refurbished, clean, and comfortable.

We run a nationwide club, and have done for some 15 years, that supports many charities. People often ask us where we stay when we are out and about. Our favourite hotel is a Best Western Plus - so unfortunately we thought we would be safe with this one. THIS IS THE WORST HOTEL WE HAVE EVER STAYED AT. We booked for 3 nights with Sunday lunch before we were due to book in. Was concerned on our approach as the industrial units go on for miles, this is a very big complex. Got to the carpark and thought this was OK as carpark full. But they wasn't going for lunch they were off to a wedding. We had Sunday lunch but felt strange as we were the only ones at 1.00 on Sunday in the whole restaurant. The next table had balloons for a different event. Hurried through the lunch as we did not want to be in there for this family party, just made it out of the restaurant in time. When we went to check in the VERY SURLY receptionist said, you won't be down in the restaurant again tonight will you as we have a coach party. I said we have just had a meal there and are not hungry at the moment. She said we couldn't go in there tonight. WE HAVE NEVER BEEN TOLD WE CANNOT EAT IN A HOTEL WE ARE STAYING AT!!! The room was at the far end of the hotel, there is no lift. Bed was comfy and clean. HEADBOARD was not. CLEANED HEADBOARD but have left one spiders web (and spider) for staff, web stretchers from bedside table to wall, all along wallpaper. HAVE PHOTOS Why put clean pillows on dirty headboard? 2 chairs in room were so dirty with dust and stains - did not use. Shortly after the man next door knocked and asked if he could use our phone as he had an emergency next door. Reception sent someone. Much later, banging on the door was a drunken woman tottering around with a wine glass. She couldn't find her room. She could not speak English and as the rooms were not numbered but written ( ie sixteen) was lost. Gone 1.00 a.m. there was the noise of tables/chairs? being overturned within earshot. Next day after breakfast (be down here early or selection gone) 3 cleaners asked us, are you on the coach because its waiting to go!!! We walked to the bottom of the stairs to go up and another cleaner was throwing dirty linen and towels down that nearly hit us. On the clock wall in the restaurant is another spider he was there all the while we were and he had webs half way up the wall. HAVE PHOTOS. The next day another coach party, driver great, but a problem with coach in little car park. Later we couldn't get in our room as we had been taken off the system!! no apology. Shower great in room but no bath should be for the money at over £100 per night. Price charged was not rate quoted SHOULD HAVE SAID THEY HAD RAISED THEIR PRICES WHEN WE BOOKED IN. Had some vouchers for BEST WESTERN they came in envelope which stated Best Western, receptionist said she had never heard of them and SHE HAD NEVER BEEN TRAINED!!! (So she took a copy of our letter from electric supplier.)!! 3 untrained receptionists, hopeless cleaning in rooms. Staff in restaurant are GREAT you run the hotel please. This place may be good for weddings, conferences, bus trips, family parties BUT IT IS HOPELESS FOR COUPLES WHO ARE ON HOLIDAY AND WANT TO DO SOME SIGHT SEEING. S T A Y A W A Y

This venue was perfect for the wedding breakfast and the evening party. The hotel facilities, both inside and outside, were excellent for this family event. The Great Hall was beautiful and full of character and provided a lovely setting. The food was delicious and served by an attentive team of waiters and waitresses. The accommodation was comfortable and the checkout efficient. Plenty of free car parking. Highly recommended for weddings.

We attended a wedding, both during the day for the ceremony and the evening reception. The room where the ceremony was held was a perfect size for the wedding party. The food was very well presented and served hot. There were adequate waiters and waitresses who were very pleasant and efficient. The grounds are very well presented and are good for photographs. For the evening reception the room was arranged with a lighted dance floor and enough room for extra evening guests. The room also has a private bar. There is a mezzanine area at the rear of the room with toilet facilities. We had an evening BBQ which was served outside just a few steps from the room. Again the food was very good.

The venue is really lovely for a wedding, full of character, beautiful room for the event with historical features. The food later was really good and they catered very well for special diets including coeliac and vegetarian with no problems. The later buffet was also nice quality food but the downside to that was that it was not left out long enough for some guests to enjoy it. For the most part it was an enjoyable experience, the drinks available at the bar were a bit limited and expensive but the event as a whole went very well and I would use the venue again without hesitation.

Needed a central hotel for both Southport and Liverpool and this hotel was one that sounded best. We wasn't disappointed. Greeted by pleasant staff on reception and a given a spacious clean room with a comfy queens size bed. Excellent breakfast to choose from.

We stayed overnight on the 5th August and were met by the duty manager who introduced us to the hotel and gave us relevant information. The rooms were modern, comfortable and clean while the food was of a very good standard and all staff in every department were helpful and pleasant which made our stay more enjoyable.I would not have any hesitation in using the hotel again and all 46 passengers in our party echoed these sentiments.

Thursday 3rd August my son and his new wife had there wedding reception and overnight stay for there guest, it was very well organised and staff were very helpful and hotel was perfect for occasion. Hotel very clean and food was also very good.

whilst visiting the area for the first time, i stayed at the best western hotel, Prescott road, the reception entrance was good, booking in procedures organised and very helpful, an electronic tag card would be used for access to room - doors. i think this was an exceptional good quality hotel. the decor was high quality, the design spoke volumes of high business standard, the interior of the rooms was nice and modern, free parking, free WiFi, non smoking ) hotel, the room - window overlooked an area of garden shrubs which was all set back from the main road, because of an entrance/ service access road and enabled a quiet location setting. the cleanliness was immaculate standard within the room, and the whole of the hotel, the food was very high standard, a choice of breakfast available; cooked breakfast as required, access to all drinks , cereals and croissants the hotel does have the ability to offer wedding venue, there seemed to be adjoining buildings which are the wedding function room presumably this can also convert to business meeting rooms during the week/ days. the bar is great serving selection of beers ales etc, and fine wines the atmosphere within the bar was very relaxed, informal and comfortable i would definitely seek out this hotel to stay in the area again,or/ seek out other best western hotel-- brands, many thanks

Used this hotel whilst attending the Open golf championship. Hotel extended breakfast times and evening bar meal service which we did not expect. Good food , nice room, lovely service from staff start to finish

This is a Best Western Plus hotel. The location is in the middle of nowhere and on what looks like an industrial estate. The service when I arrived wasn't great. The whole hotel was looking a bit tired along with the staff. The evening meal was a chef special around £18 for 2 courses. There was then a separate a la carte menu that gave the same food cheaper. The food was ok, not that memorable, just food. The atmosphere and decor is slightly odd. Bird cages and porcelain fish hanging from inside the fireplace, very strange. Breakfast was from 7am, standard buffet style breakfast with some service. It had a prom while I was there, in the great hall. I wouldn't come back as slightly confused and a little disturbed by the experience. I was surprised to read that people get married here, perhaps I am missing something. I would check all your options before booking.

I spent one night in this hotel with two colleagues during a recent business trip. All of us appreciated the location of the hotel, the warm welcome, the quality and cleanliness of rooms. During the night we had an agreable dinner and the opportunity to taste good beers served in a confortable dining room. A very nice hotel.

We had the most magical wedding reception at this fantastic venue. Everything was absolutely perfect and even better than we had imagined. The staff were fantastic. Our instructions as to how we wanted the tables were very particular but when we walked into the Great Hall it was just breathtaking. When we arrived at Lancashire manor we were greeted by members of staff offering us canapés and drinks to ensure we eat before having photographs. All of our guests have commented on the food being the best they have ever had at a wedding. The venue being the best they have ever been to and rated it higher than other popular local venues and said the Great Hall was absolutely stunning. One of our sons is gluten free and they prepared special canapés, wedding Breakfast and BBQ food for him. The bedrooms and beds are absolutely beautiful and peaceful and comfortable to give us a good nights sleep after our special day. We could go on and on and on. But to conclude we had the most amazing day and that is all thanks to the beautiful venue and staff. We couldn't have wished for a more perfect day and so glad we booked this place. A hidden gem in the middle of nowhere. Staff were friendly, welcoming and efficient. The bar is inviting but the food could do with a vast improvement. It defiantly is the one flaw I found while staying.

Went to my friends wedding here and the service from all the staff was excellent.. polite and well mannered. The food was lovely and quick service at the bar although I did think drinks were over priced.

Excellent venue for wedding. Stayed over in a lovely very clean room with an exceptional comfy bed. Staff very helpful. Only criticism would be the poor quality breakfast which was only luke warm( definitely not served at recommended temps!) poorly set out and not the best of ingredients. We would however return and give the breakfast a second chance due to the fantastic venue and staff.

From arrival to departure the staff here couldn't have been more helpful even though they were very busy with two weddings being held her over the weekend. They made sure all the passengers could sit together in the evening after dinner. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the food very very good. Dinner was served silver service and Breakfast buffet style. All passengers were delighted and the price was right too. A very enjoyable weekend stay.

I stayed here for a period of 10 nights over 3 weeks, I requested the same room so I cant comment on the rest of the rooms. First off don't let the idea of location put you off, when I mentioned where I was staying people kept saying why would you stay in that town, but luckily this is just outside and beside major routes which is always a bonus. The hotel is on industrial type estate with a one way system and some confusing roads near by too however once you are inside the hotel this doesn't really matter. The hotel is quite big, with a bar and restaurant , with a nice reception area grounds . The staff on the whole were pleasant and helpful when I spoke to them and didn't grumble with anything. I had a room which was classed as a junior suite , so slightly more expensive than the double room, was a decent size with a sofa and a nice sized bathroom too. The room was clean and well maintained. The Wi-Fi was hit and miss on quieter nights it was OK and I could watch lots online but when it got busier I could hardly connect and mixed with no mobile reception was sometimes a boring mix. Breakfast is mainly self serve however the service was always great with poached eggs and toast, hardly took anytime and when in a rush most mornings this is a god send. The menu though on the evening is pretty limited, I was struggling after 4/5 nights what to eat, however room service was also good too. Overall would happily stay here again, just wish the Wi-Fi was a bit better and a bigger menu choice as this would have easily give it a 5.

Ive thought long and hard about writing this review as the purpose of our visit was my sister in laws wedding and I don't want anything to detract from her special day. Also we have been home now for 2 weeks yet still this niggles me, i write honestly about where I stay as the purpose of this site is for others to get an honest review when looking where to stay. We arrived late on the Thursday night flying in from Spain. We was greeted by a lovely man in reception and given our key cards. We made our way to our room and I was very disappointed. All the rooms shown on the website are very grande. Ours was very small although the headboard wall was decorated nice. But the room wasn't the cleanest I've stayed in, the bed wasn't comfortable, and the pillows and duvet were so thin you couldn't be comfy. The curtains wouldn't close properly and we're off set from the wall so far that the light came through all night from passing traffic all night, the dressing table lights didn't work nor did the safe. There were burn mark and stains on the carpet and looked just dirty. The shower thermostat was broken so the first morning when getting up very early for the wedding we had to suffer a scalding hot shower. Not nice. We told reception the next day and they sent someone to fix it however it was still the same. However the safe was was fixed. Breakfast was excellent and the 2 gentlemen staff were extremely helpful and friendly. On the Friday morning we made our way to the reception area to meet the other wedding guests and meet my mother and father in law as they were checking in. They were met by the most rudest lady I've met in the hotel business. I believe she was the manageress. She spoke to my in laws like dirt regarding their room and despite my mother in law asking if the room could be ready earlier as the wedding was at 12 they wanted to change clothes. She was told they would do their upmost as she was mother of the bride. However the woman on reception seemed hell bent that they were not allowed in the room till 2pm as stipulated on their website. Not good customer service from her, we weren't the only guest to comment on her customer service or lack of. The Saturday morning we went to reception and was greeted by 2 lovely ladies explained about the shower and they said they would get someone to look at it they did however no change and for the second timer emerged from the shower very red. The rooms and hall adjoining doors all slam and you can hear everyone coming back to their rooms, toilets flushing, coughing. It wasn't a restful 3 nights sleep. It cost £90 per night that was the discounted price for the wedding guests. We live in Spain and so converted to euros when we paid on the card was 490€. If it was not for it being my sil wedding I would not of paid this full amount. The breakfast is worth its money no doubt however the room for me left a lot to be desired.

Gotta be honest , I wasn't expecting this hotel to be as good as it was . Me and wife booked a suite , as we where attending a wedding at the Hotel . The room was fantastic , very clean , lots of room . Very good facilities. Food at the hotel was good , nothing wrong with it at all . Bar prices , about what I expected . Selection of drinks on offer , very good . Staff , all very pleasant, really nice ppl . Can't really complain about this place , would I stay again ,,, yes I would x

I stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights while on a business trip. Before I arrived I dropped them an email to see if there was any way I could plug in my car, to my surprise they said yes and noted it on my booking. When I arrived I discovered they had a proper charging point, there was no mention of this beforehand, they had even put cones in the space to reserve it for me! I found out from reception that all Best Western hotels have an electric car charge point, very useful information. I also have gotten this added to "Zap Map". I was able to charge three times during my stay.....most welcome! Check in was efficient. I had a bit of trouble finding my room but got there, it was as far from the bar etc as possible to was pretty quiet. The room was well furnished, very clean and definitely up to the standards I was expecting. It had adequate storage, a nice sofa, decent size TV, desk with a comfortable chair, large bed etc. Bathroom was very modern and had both a standard shower attachment and an overhead rain shower. Bath towels were a very good size and soft too. In room tea / coffee provision was also good. There was also a small ironing board and iron. I didn't eat in the restaurant but the food on offer looked pretty good and even though it was midweek it was reasonably busy both nights. I did order some drinks from the bar and these were typically priced. The breakfast was a bit of a letdown, the cooked food was tasty and of good quality but the selection was lacking a couple of things, most notably....scrambled eggs.....first hotel buffet I have been to in the UK where this wasn't available. The second day I turned up for breakfast in the last half hour of serving, so had the choice of a single yoghurt and the slowly drying out hot food items....no apple or orange juice left etc, it was ok but definitely an area they could improve on. I made use of the fitness room, it was fairly good but felt a bit squashed in, i've been to hotels which much less on offer in the way of equipment though. The hotels location was good, conveniently located for the M58 road link but without too much noise, though the junction and industrial estate one way could leave you a bit dizzy! My room was described as a Junior Suite but it didn't really live up to this description....there was no separate sitting area (did have a nice sofa though, facing errr away from the TV?) and nothing that really made me see it as a small suite.....it was more an executive or club room, definitely a step up from standard but junior suite was pushing it. It also said it had a garden view but the view was a wire fence and a footpath. The price paid for the room however was reasonable for what it was. Mostly for the breakfast being not up to scratch but also because of the room description differences I have gone for 4/5....a shame because if it wasn't for these I would have given a 5/5...would definitely come again.

This is a BW plus hotel and certainly a little nicer than most. Had a light meal which whilst not remarkable was served quickly, it was hot and went down a treat. The rooms are quite plush and well appointed. Hotel is a little isolated near an industrial Estate but none the less highly recommend by this traveller.

Nothing wrong with this one. Food was not special but was reasonably priced and perfectly acceptable. It was comfortable, service was good and my room was clean and well equipped. It was a two night business visit and I would be happy to return.

This hotel is nestled between the M6 and major motorways surrounding Skelmersdale, the hotel itself is pleasant bright and clean and the staff were all very helpful. The accommodation is somewhat tired and ready for updating and the restaurant food is slightly overly presented would be better off in my opinion focusing on good quality food rather than fancy presentation at the expense of quality

I stayed here for several nights in November whilst on business locally and can highly recommend the Lancashire Manor. Easy to find just off of the Motorway with car parking right outside of reception. All of the staff from reception to the bar and restaurant were friendly and helpful. I ate here both nights having both a starter and main course and the food was good quality. Breakfast was also of a similar quality. The full dinner menu can be taken in both the bar area and restaurant. Bar had a good selection of craft beer and a separate menu to help you choose your beer of choice. Room was clean, spacious and quiet with a comfortable bed. If you need accommodation in the Skelmersdale area then I would recommend this hotel.

A party of over 30 of us stayed 2 nights at the beginning of the month. The reception service was first class with all members of our group being quickly allocated to their rooms. The rooms themselves were well furnished and comfortable, a pleasant change from the usual chain Inns and Lodges. We had pre ordered our meal for the first night as there was another large party staying. The service was speedy and efficient and the food quality didn't disappoint for the majority although there were one or two who mentioned one of the desserts being a bit heavy. Breakfast was served early to fit in with our plans and had a good variety. The second nights dinner wasn't pre ordered and provided a good meal appreciated by the majority of the group. Bar prices did raise an eyeball or two though. Overall the hotel provided an efficient booking and reception service with comfortable rooms and more than acceptable food for a large party. We will have no hesitation in using Lancashire Manor for a similar event in future.

Where do we start! My husband and I had our wedding reception here on Saturday 12th November. To say it was perfect is an understatement! Kevin was on hand whenever you needed him & nothing was ever to much trouble. The great hall looked absolutely stunning and we received many compliments from from our guests about this. We choose the beef roast which didn't disappoint, service was fantastic. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left everything ran perfect, we arrived late from the church but Kevin and his staff took it in their stride and managed to still make it run like clockwork. We had read a couple of bad reviews about breakfast which we made the hotel aware of but yet again the breakfast was fantastic. The rooms are a long walk from reception, through the bar and past the dining room but are pleasant when you get there. The bed had a mattress topper which was far too hot for me and a stiff biscuit duvet which was useless. There was a seating area which I liked and the wifi connection was good. We stayed two nights with a large party so had to eat in the hotel as part of the crowd. The Friday night meal was poor. I had a starter of pate which was a thin slice of pate, adequate but nothing special, the salmon to follow was tiny with only a few vegetables, and the hot chocolate brownie was cold and a solid lump. I retired to the room to eat all the biscuits! Saturday night was slighly better with a chicken and black pudding terrine follwed by pork loin which I had great trouble cutting although the problem appeared to be the knife as the meat was not too tough to eat. Sticky toffee pudding was warm but lacked the real sticky toffee sauce I expected. At least I felt I had had a meal that night. The best thing was the fresh fruit salad they served my hysband because of his dairy free diet. He had the soup which was good and the beef which was plentiful but tough. Overall not a place to return to.

Here on business for a week, location is good for business but nothing around here. Room is clean and well presented. Food is good but some meals are small for the price. Free wifi is impressive. If your working locally I would recommend this place.

We attended Michael Buble tribute performance it was faultless. The food was fantastic, staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was as expected, clean, cosy, tidy, warm and quiet. The overall hotel experience was welcoming and I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. It was a fabulous night.

What a brilliant time we had from arriving on Saturday till we left this morning from the ladies cleaning to management can't thank you enough for making Wendy and Carls wedding so excellent from start to finish would highly recommend. BW Wigan is a nice hotel at a good location. Check in went smooth but not overly friendly. The room was well appointed and the bed was comfortable. The restaurant served good food and the service was friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone needing to stay over around Wigan

Our wedding weekend started on the 1st October 2016 as I stayed the night before our big day with family and friends, we had a meal and the staff were very accommodating and helpful even though they had 2 weddings on. Our wedding was held at Lancashire Manor the Great Hall on Sunday the 2nd October. There are no words that can describe the day, it was simply perfect. From rising out of bed in the morning and looking through the curtains to be met with brilliant sunshine, the day and night was above and beyond expectations from the amazing atmospheric Great Hall to Kevin the MC and Gill Ball. Thank you so dearly for assisting us in making our day so special, these memories we will treasure forever and never forget. Nigel the recommended photographer at Clix photography you were amazing!!!! we are so looking forward to seeing the pictures. The rooms are beautiful, amazing food and staff lovely. Nothing was too much to ask, Kevin did an outstanding job we didn't need to worry about anything and were asked as the new Mr & Mrs Lacey to inspect everything including the buffet before guests were let loose. We will definitely be returning and may come for our anniversary to book a meal and room 70 for Monday 2nd Oct 2017 if it's available. Thanks again xxx Memories forever

Stayed for one night on business and arrived late in the afternoon after a long day. The check in at reception was quick and straightforward and they even had fruit or cake on offer to take the edge off my rumbling stomach. The room was brilliant, comfortable and spacious even for a double. The TV was a large one and the shower was one of the best I've seen in a while. Food was good and the portion sizes enough to fill a hungry belly. All in all a great place to stay.

Very clean, very modern and peaceful hotel. Having had a poor experience with a best western in Chorley, I wasn't holding my breath here. The location is a little weird. It's on a commercial/ industrial estate but don't let that put you off. See the photos below

We had our wedding here in June 2016 in The Great Hall and from our first meeting to the wedding day Lancashire Manor were brilliant. Gill was always helpful with any questions and requests, her replies to emails were very quick, and our meetings were a pleasure. We made our own little tweaks to the wedding package to suit what was best for us and Gill was only happy to help us with that. Kevin and his team on the day made the day run exactly to plan, and were on hand to get me inside dry from the torrential rain which unfortunately we had all day. The rooms were set up perfectly for the day and the night (even with my quickly scribbled instructions that the staff had to deal with). Also Big shout out to Elke the front of house manager, who was always friendly and helpful. The food was delicious!! We were able to have a lamb, a chicken and vegetarian dish for our main meals which was great to give our guests the option. We had pate and melon for starters and profiteroles for dessert. For the night time buffet we decided on a classic with sandwiches, sausage rolls , chicken etc. (Lots more hot and cold options available) For a simple buffet it was really high quality and also plentiful. So many of our guests have complimented the food, especially the lamb which was beautiful. Bar staff were efficient and friendly throughout the day. Drinks prices were the usual hotel prices, pint of beer around £4.50, bottle of wine £15. The bar served until 1am (which was perfect for us) and residents bar was open until you wanted to go to bed. We had managed to pay for quite a few drinks for our guests throughout the day anyway due to the reasonable pricing. The grounds of Lancashire Manor are so pretty, so do not be put off by it being on the industrial estate. Its a little haven once you are in. Finally the price for what was provided was very reasonable and much cheaper than other venues we had viewed, but quality is definitely not sacraficed for the savings. Big thank you to Lancashire Manor and all the staff for making our day perfect!

I was best man at my brother's wedding on 2nd October. We were blessed with outstanding weather for the day, which added to the amazing day. This was only enhanced by the amazing setting of the Great Hall which was used for the ceremony, meal and evening reception. Very atmospheric and amazingly versatile. The staff were all brilliant and couldn't do enough for us. Special mention to the duty manager Kevin, who was outstanding in managing the whole event from midday through to the finish at midnight. The rooms for overnight accomodation were roomy and comfortable, the food outstanding. From the wedding dinner (all served piping hot), an extensive and tasty buffet for the evening reception, to the excellent breakfast in the morning. Couldn't recommend the venue enough if you are looking for a wedding venue in the area. Indeed well worth travelling from afar if you want some excellent service.

Just returned from this venue after my daughters wedding,cannot fault this venue the staff are superb and nothing is to much trouble.The wedding planner and Kevin the duty manager ensured that everything worked like clockwork,the rooms are beautiful and spotless,the food is very good and plentiful.The great hall is a stunning venue,complemented with a brilliant dj,not to forget the photographer working non stop for some 12 hours,This is the place where memories are made and cherised have no hesitation in strongly reccomending this hotel

stayed weekend 24sept overall a very enjoyable time menu for evening a little sparse but nice quality bar stayed open as long as you wished meals for the wedding and staff could not be faulted very proffesional

Had my wedding reception here. The hotel itself is very well kept, beautiful styling. The staff were wonderful. The reception food was delicious. Our room was amazing, great facilities and comfy bed. Would recommend.

Sadly, not stayed here for a while but this hotel really is quite lovely. The rooms are very modern and always clean. The food is excellent and the staff are very friendly and polite and nothing is too much trouble.

Visiting family close by, arrived very late Fri night was handled well by security. Shown to our Beautiful room which was very modern decor-beautiful, comfy, quiet, very nice bed. Had freshly cooked full english brekkie Sat & Sun which was very tasty. Staff so pleasant nothing was too much trouble. smashing location nice and quiet. Will stay again.

Stayed here a couple of weeks ago for a friend's wedding and had such a wonderful time. Staff were so friendly and went the extra mile. I would recommend the Great Hall for any future brides as it was beautiful. Food during the wedding was delicious and very good service. The room that we stayed in was in the new part of the hotel and was very nice. I would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

Attended a conference at this hotel for 3 days, I found the hotel of a very good standard. The staff and the service excellent and all the meals were of a high quality, I would recommend this hotel to other conference and business users.

My wife and I were attending a wedding here and had booked in for the night of the wedding but due to work commitments the day before had to travel 200 miles on the morning of the wedding. As a result we had hoped to be able to check into our room early and use it to get ready - normal check in is at 2pm, but the wedding started at 1:30pm so we had hoped to be able to check in at 12:00-12:30pm, the reservation confirmation said "Early arrival or late departure may be available on request and at busy times a charge will be made." So we phoned up the hotel to ask if we could arrange this to which the answer came back no they don't offer an early check-in service. We were told our options were to pay £77 to book a room the night before or we could use the public toilets to get ready - which I found unprofessional. Why like many other hotels they can't arrange for particular rooms to be cleared as soon as previous guest has left to allow for early check-in of guests who have already agreed an early check-in I don't know, it seems a fairly standard hotel policy elsewhere, I would have been happy to pay a few extra quid for that. Eventually after a number of phone calls the manager said that we could use one of the unbooked rooms from the night before to get ready, but still couldn't check in to our room until after 2pm. When we arrived and explained what had been agreed on the telephone it seemed that nothing had been arranged in advance, the receptionist called the duty manager over and arranged for the use of a room for us to get changed in and we were able to leave out bags at reception while we went to the wedding. The wedding itself was good the venue and food was nice. The room was fine, perhaps a little on the small side and the bathroom could have done with being a little bigger. I would have given the hotel itself a higher rating if it weren't for the terrible service we received in trying to arrange an early check-in.

We visited the hotel for a wedding and must say easy to check in very clean and comfortable rooms and excellent service. We didn't eat in the Restaurant due to it being a wedding but the buffet that was serve was excellent. The breakfast was extra but worth it great selection

I would like to rate this between Average and Very Good, but cant do that., I stayed here on business for one night, the Hotel is accessed via and situated on an Industrial Estate, but once you get in through the gates, that is easily forgotten. The hotel is a mix of modern and traditional styles which sit well together, there is plenty of exposed local stone in the bar area, which is divided into several separate areas within the original building, there is also some seating on the terrace to the front. The room I stayed in was a more contemporary style, and a good size it had a king sized bed an integral desk area with plenty of power points and was nicely finished off with some richly toned wood, the en suit had a large walk in shower tray with a equally large shower head. And all that only a few steps to the restaurant and bar...ideal. There was no noise from the corridor, however this was a Wednesday ! I had a meal in the restaurant which was OK, but nothing special. Breakfast was a Hot and cold buffet, it was not the best I have had but would not put me off coming again, and next time hopefully the quality of the food will have improved.

Booked two rooms at this hotel through a booking agency. On arrival,they had no record of the booking and we spent an anxious few minutes while an entirely unsympathetic and unapologetic receptionist searched, eventually successfully, for our booking. The room was very small, you had to wedge yourself behind the toilet bowl to get the bathroom door shut! Otherwise the bed was very comfortable and the room well appointed. The wedding party made a lot of noise in the corridors pretty much all night, at one point conducting a very loud argument with a member of staff right outside our door in the early hours. Breakfast was unremarkable and staff cheerful. Checkout receptionist had obviously been to the same charm school as the one the previous day. The booking agency rates completely ignored despite the printed confirmation. We'd had enough by then, paid up and left!

This is a lovely hotel. Very comfy beds, neat, clean rooms, excellent interpersonal skills from staff...couldn't be faulted. There was a wedding the day we were there and I can understand people wanting their special day there.

We want to a Lovely family wedding here in the hall and the hall itself is stunning. We stayed over but it's just a bit noisy because it is right next to the motorway which is a great shame. The staff are very nice and the food is very good. Wr had a nice breakfast before we set off home.

My sister got married here in July & we stayed overnight. I couldn't fault the venue itself, the great hall where the wedding & evening took place looks amazing when it's all decorated & there's a balcony upstairs overlooking he hall, which was used as a children's entertaining area in the evening. The room itself was comfortable & clean but was very warm at night & could have benefited from air conditioning. The breakfast was pretty basic & quite disappointing.

Stayed here recently for my friends wedding. The hotel is really lovely, the mix of old and new is just beautiful. My room was located in the newer part of the hotel, the bathroom was gorgeous with a huge monsoon shower. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very airy too. There was just a few cobwebs on the ceiling, that were missed by housekeeping other than that it was perfect. The great hall where the wedding was held is a beautiful room, the lighting was beautiful. Food served at the wedding was nice. Staff were all very attentive and helpful.

Conveniently placed just off M6 ideal for northwest business or pleasure. Check in quick and efficient. First impressions very good. Attractive exterior matched by interior. Room was very good with old feel although probably not so old. Room good size, clean and well appointed.Facilities good. Needed to book restaurant due to wedding but I was the only diner. Food choice was varied and food quality excellent. Waiting staff were very good. More of them than diners (just me!). Will definitely stay again and would strongly recommend. I stay in many hotels weekly for business, this is one of my favourites. Thank you all.

What can we say about this place, absolutely fantastic wedding day from start to finish. Kevin and his team looked after us amazingly and even though we ran a bit behind, to say the least, with our speeches and things they didn't panic and made sure our day ran smooth. The great hall looked absolutely unbelievable and the whole hotel was brilliant. Stunning venue, and great staff, we are just gutted now that it's over. Our meals where fantastic and the bbq in the evening went down a storm. Thank you to everybody for making our day so special. And for entertainment look no further than Gavin young, absolute legend, and Hayley at house of magnolia for sorting our flowers, they looked unbelievable.

We attended a wedding here in August 2016. Staff were very helpful when I called to book extra rooms, one by one, as additional family members let me know they could come. Particularly impressed by the cleaning staff. One member of the family had left pills next to the basin in his room meaning to take them after breakfast. He was checked out and was ready to leave when the cleaning staff came running to find him and ensure he was able to take them. The hotel itself is pretty standard but the good attitude of the staff makes a huge difference to your stay.

We celebrated our mother's 80th birthday at the hotel for sunday lunch in the restaurant. Food was excellent, very generous portions, freshly cooked vegetables. Everyone in our party enjoyed the food and commented how lovely it was. Service was superb, nothing was too much trouble from start to finish, even helping with special touches before guests arrived. The hotel made us feel welcome and special. We would highly recommend the hotel.

Stayed at this hotel overnight on the 6th August with a coach party.This was bar far one of the best hotels i have stayed at for a long time.I really could not find a fault the evening meal and breakfast was both excellent and the staff could do enough for you.I would not hesitate to stop at this hotel again.

We went to this hotel for a wedding and were very impressed with the evening, lovely staff and ideal for the wedding guests as it was friendly and informal. The change over from wedding room to evening function room was seamless. We'd like to mention Marc Rob Jennie Olivia and Chris as members of staff and the others whose names I didn't catch.......the beer was good!!!!!!! We really had a great time!

Me, my husband and a close friend booked here for the Sunday 2/3 course lunch which was very good value for money. I chose to have only 2 courses at £10 but the others had the 3 courses. There was an obvious shortage of staff because of the wedding party but this did not deflect from the excellent service and attention given to us by the one and only waiter. Luckily not many people were dining as it was at the end of the lunch period. Unfortunately the beef served with my main meal was much too tough, very hard to cut and much too dry to swallow. But for this the meal looked delicious when it was served up. My companions seemed to have no trouble with their beef and enjoyed it. When we were presented with the bill £10 had been deducted because of my meal. I hadn't made any fuss over it so was taken aback and actually very pleasantly surprised at the thoughtful gesture. I would return again but choose a different main course.

First night had a good welcome 2nd visit not very friendly felt we was intruding. first morning breakfast bacon over cooked couldn't use a knife & fork, disappointed there was no scrambled eggs or porridge for breakfast, evening meal vegetables was served silver service and more vegetables on the table than the plate then couldn't put a knife and fork into the veg to eat it let alone be able to chew it. Good food wasted worse food we ever had in a hotel. Bedrooms was very pleasant. 2nd morning we were served half cups of tea & coffee by a very tall guy who didn't have any manners at all, couldn't even say good morning and ask was everything ok. The price of beer was £4.45 a pint the most expensive hotel I've stayed in and will not be revisiting any Best Western hotels first and last time. Michelle & Jeff Bridgend

Really good hotel and great value. Really comfy beds and nice clean rooms, great shower , tea, coffee in the room. Lovely bar area and good food - we had evening meal, starter and main and desert, good quality. Breakfast was excellent great selection and good bacon and sausages. Good service all round from the desk and waiters. Good location for Tatton Park about 25 mins away we went to the Flower show really good day. We noticed that there had been a wedding the night before and they all had a great time, it looked they offered wedding packages which I think would be excellent so maybe worth considering. Lovely grounds outside, tables chairs .

Fantastic venue. Booked a family room for the night. Very clean and spacious. The family rooms are actually to interconnecting rooms which was great. My kids who are 3 and 7 enjoyed having their own space.

Overnight stay and found the hotel in the middle of an industrial estate. First impressions very good exterior building. Inside the reception and bar was clean and pretty standard of what I'd expect for a Best Western Hotel. The room I had was ok, the bed comfy and the little touches of sewing kit and shoe polish was excellent, however the toilet seat was not fixed and broken, and the paintwork in the room, and the bathroom cleanliness was a bit grubby and on the shabby side (white gloss paintwork was yellow) Restaurant and bar menu was limited and nothing exciting, a pint of larger is around £4.40 with a bottle of wine at £15.50. Breakfast was good, with attentive service from staff Ali g with and a self service hot selection and standard cereals etc etc. All in all not bad but nothing to rave about.

Doesn't get the pulse racing but it's everything you can ask for in a ‘£75-for-B&B' hotel.  The building is attractive – built of local stone.  Rooms are OK – bathrooms bit old fashioned, but all OK for a 3* Best Western standard.  Breakfast OK. It's next to the motorway, in a business park – so not a thrilling location either.  But if this is where you need to be, you won't be disappointed at this price.

Rooms & property excellent Food poor at best, 2 dinners and 2 breakfasts...unless you like uncooked vegetables, and bacon you had to pick up and break to eat it! Staff abysmal, reception woman ignored advice about rubbish outside rest. window. Still there a week later. 7' tall disgrace in charge of food service - needs to work in a factory. Was not ready for a known party of 25 people on coach trip - did not appear to want us there, very poor attitude.

the food and catering was beautiful, and the room was decorated with great taste and food both the main meal and the buffet at night. Meany guests stayed over night and we all had a lovely full English breakfast, the rooms were delightful clean and very comfortable

Elton John tribute night was a delightful evening service and entertainment top notch will go again. Lovely meal fabulous decor in the Great Hall music was spot on with an entertainer who sounded like the real Elton John

We were here for a social meet on a Friday night. The food was excellent with good vegetarian options. The beers and drinks at the bar was also fabulous. The Saturday morning breakfast was fantastic. The rooms are very clean and the staff friendly. Very good outdoor seating for the bar as well.

I was meeting with friends in Liverpool but wasn't prepared to pay the extortionate hotel prices. I lived in Skelmersdale for many years and knew this hotel in previous life. It's easy to get into Liverpool on the quietest motorway ever (M58) so decided to stay here and travel for two nights and then stayed at the Atlantic Tower in Liverpool on the 3rd night. This hotel was much better in terms of the accommodation ( room size, cleanliness, facilities) and also the parking.( free compared to £12 per night!) I had asked for a room in a quiet area having seen the reviews about weddings and this was what I got so I was very happy on the sleeping front. However as others have commented the food was less good. I only had breakfast one morning and that was enough-everything was dried up and there was no one on the counter to ask for something fresher. The breakfast area was a nightmare with kids running berserk everywhere and noone seeming to care. I realised everyone knew each other so had to presume they were from a wedding the night before. Looking at the reviews there seems to be a wedding every weekend so my view would be: avoid weekends, avoid breakfasts and just pay for the room and you will find that's its nice accommodation with easy drive into Liverpool.

We only stayed here for one night but was very impressed with the hotel. Location is unusual in the middle of industrial estate but this should not put anyone off staying here. The rooms are modern, clean and very functional - everything in its proper place, ie hairdryer beside mirror, luggage rack that comes out of wall, plenty of sockets, tv that you can see from chair or bed, very comfy bed and pillows, and a nice modern bathroom with large walk-in shower. Only ate breakfast at the hotel and it was ample, had everything you would need. Plenty car parking space. Nice, friendly staff.

We had a fantastic day for our daughter and son in laws wedding on the 2nd july. The food was lovely and although the evening buffet was cleared away while there was still a lot of food left the staff set it up again much later in the evening when guests were hungrier. With the exception of the receptionist on duty on saturday we found all the staff friendly and helpful. A special mention for Robert who went above and beyond the call of duty when our young granddaughter, after a day of nerves and excitement was exceedingly sick in bed late in the evening. Robert cleared everything away and replaced all the extremely smelly bedlinen and made up the bed and with a smile on his face said it was all part of the service. Thanks again Robert.

I do wish there were a 'good' option available; in the circumstances of our visit a very good is fine but had I have been there as individual travellers some details would have bother me more than they did being in a very large wedding party. So being at the hotel for a wedding we elected to stay overnight. The room we had was on the ground floor and looked as if it may have been recently refurbished, it was clean and comfortable with good sized bathroom, no bath but a dual head shower - one 'rain' one normal. The wedding ceremony was very well organised, the Great Hall was then transformed for the wedding breakfast and later had a disco & dancefloor added. The building is a mix of new and old, lots of exposed stone walls, wooden beams etc but with sympathetic modern additions, providing light airy spaces too. Following the ceremony we were served drinks & sandwiches whilst the photos were taken and the room changed around. The wedding breakfast food was fairly traditional, tasted fine and decent portions, one negative was that the plates used as charger plates for desert were clearly straight out of the dishwasher and perhaps not the ideal temperature for under a dish of ice-cream! The evening buffet had a barbeque feel to it with burgers, sauages, salads etc available and just after midnight they served bacon rolls for the revellers. Great idea but one slice of bacon just doesn't fill and average bread roll. Hotel bar prices are what they are and I have been in more expensive places. Breakfast was a buffet, as is so often the norm these days, but not too bad in terms of being dried out from being kept warm - some items were a little greasy but overall I have had much worse. We joked that the breakfast plates would have been better if they'd been as warm as the ice-cream ones were the day before. Tea & coffee and toast were table service not buffet, which is so much better than having to queue for the slow and pitiful toaster option that some places provide. We had an enjoyable experience overall for the wedding.

Visited & stayed overnight for a friends wedding. Not a very pleasant final drive through an industrial estate, however only 5 mins from the M58. That is my only negative about this place. It's a beautiful hotel, with some lovely seating areas both inside and out. Small yet pretty garden areas and plenty of car parking. The Grand Hall is a stunning location for a wedding, with both a contemporary and classic feel. Very cosy for a room which easily sat 100 for the wedding meal ..... and many more at the evening gathering. Bedroom was very spacious and decorated to a high standard, very comfy - Room 5. Venue and facilities are lovely, modern, comfy and friendly. Would recommend for a quiet couples escape and also especially if you are looking for a wedding venue.

Had our daughter's wedding reception here 25/06/2016. The service we received from the day we booked until the wedding day was excellent. The room looked amazing and the food day and night was plentiful and delicious. The staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed over and the room are spacious and clean and breakfast was excellent. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to book their wedding here

Stayed at the hotel for a wedding, great grounds, nice building and the room was clean and comfortable and well equipped. The wedding meal was lovely, but I cant comment on the standard restaurant or the breakfast. Only downside I saw was lack of staff, as the wedding party arrived at the venue the one receptionist was over whelmed and then once the wedding had finished and the bulk of the guests had gone about 40 people descended on the late bar, again only one girl serving. Overall only small complaints.

Bathrooms tired and worn, rooms basic but ok - just shabby! Location good for business and staff friendly - food ok. You can stay here for business and its adequate for a night but its not an experience to look forward to.

We had our wedding here and it was absolutely beautiful. Everything was amazing, the staff did a brilliant job and we're all lovely, the meetings with Gill before hand were helpful and she made me feel at ease. We got married at the Lancashire Manor hotel on Saturday 14th May 2016 and had the most perfect wedding day, thanks to all the staff that work there. Through their hard work and dedication, they couldn't do enough for us and everything was done to the highest standard. The staff are so friendly and they took care of every little detail, we just got to enjoy our day. From the bridal suite, to the hotel grounds and terrace, to the great hall, the hotel looked stunning from start to finish, it definitely has got the wow factor. The wedding day and night ran smoothly, and the food was exquisite, there was no scraping on portion size. We would definitely recommend this venue to everyone, and look forward to returning in the future. Thank you again Lancashire Manor hotel for making our wedding day amazing, as my husband's grandad told us the morning after "that was the best wedding I've ever been to" and he is 91 years young, so he's been to quite a few.

Booked our stay via booking.com, 1nights stay special offer £90 including breakfast. What we didn't see properly was that we also got a 2 course evening meal included. Excellent price the evening meal was outstanding breakfast was even better. The service off all the staff was top class all very professional and we'll presented. What can I say about the room other than fabulous! Very comfortable beds excellent shower and facilities. Will definitely recommend and book again!

....or anything at all as it would be better than this. The Lancashire Manor is a Best western but privately owned using the BW brand name. It is one of those hotels that looks ok and could be so much better with decent grounds and it is reasonably clean without being spotless however due to its location just off the M6 and in Pimbo Industrial Estate then business just flows. They also get regular weddings at the weekends as well as a high business turnover during the week but don't get too excited as this management team here is frankly the worst that I have ever encountered. What I mean is that they don't care as business is so easy with no competition close buy. The receptionist looks as though she would be elsewhere with here face tripping her (she really needs a talking to) and who I assume is the hotel manager wants to chuck it altogether as the guy is simply pretty much useless with no interaction with guests. Food is tasteless in the evening in the restaurant and the bar and I do mean completely tasteless but breakfast is ok. Wi fi is free but doesn't work and reception just shrug their shoulders. My advice? Don't expect much and do yourself a favour and stay elsewhere until the management pick themselves up a bit here. It could be far better thn what it is.

Came yesterday for an all day wedding, what an absolutely beautiful hotel! The grand hall is like something out of a film, so stunning! The grounds are gorgeous and really set this hotel apart from all the rest. Staff are really friendly and helpful; I had travelled alone with a baby so this was really appreciated :) Rooms are spacey and beds really comfy. Breakfast was lovely too and looked very fresh. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to return one day :)

Out of all the reviews I have written this is by far the hardest.I love this hotel on the 10/06/16 we celebrated our youngest sons wedding at the LM what a fantastic day we all had, alll of our family and friends can not stop talking about it the food was superb and the night time attractions helped make it one of the best night's of my life the staff where excellent catering to all our needs and the venue the Great Hall superb surroundings and just ideal .Special thanks to Gill the wedding coordinator Kevin and Chris in charge on the day Sarah one of our servers and of course all of the bar staff who with my family had to work so hard .One very small problem and it is a very small one some of the rooms are a little small I'm 6ft 2 ans struggled a little in the small bed and bathroom but this in no way spoils a fantastic stay on a great day as I said at the start this is the hardest review I have ever written and it is because I feel my words can not do justice to this Excelent Hotel Thank you Lancashire Manor for helping make this one of the greates days of my families life I and if you looking for a wedding venue LM is one I heatilly recommend

We attended a wedding here staff were very attentive .The wedding breakfast was very good nice hot soup beautiful tender roast beef plenty of veg and roast potatoes followed by delicious profitter rolls ,Service was very good and I asked our waitress if they had green tea instead of coffee no problem got it right away . Thank you all so much very enjoyable day .

We spent the evening for a family wedding and had a wonderful time. The lovely rooms were ready early so we could get ready in comfort. The rooms had everything we needed so we were not disappointed! The staff were exceptionally helpful, especially at breakfast where we wanted for nothing. The tea, coffee and toast were ready for us on the table as we sat down. Excellent choice of cereals, Danish pastries, full breakfast and fruit! I would stay again at a Best Western hotel, as we had a perfect wedding and enjoyed the whole experience. Thank you!

had my daughters wedding venue here,could not have asked for any more excellent all round,thank you all, the staff where excellent,the ambience superb,had a really ggod day and evening and stayed overnight with breakfast in the morning no problems at all

Stayed at this hotel for a night when we were on a coach tour. Despite there being a wedding on in the hotel, it was not noisy and the room was very quiet at night. The small gardens outside and the interior of the hotel were lovely, and our room was a good size. We had a delicious three course dinner with good sized portions. There was a buffet breakfast with a good selection.

My husband and I had our wedding breakfast and wedding reception here at the end of May. The staff were brilliant and made sure everything ran smoothly. All our guests commented on how nice the food was. They also commented on how beautiful the venue was as most of them had never visited before. We had the most perfect wedding day we could have had and can't thank the staff enough.

The staff are all friendly and helpful, the room was clean and well presented but there were also some issues. The bedroom did not have an opening window or air conditioning and as a result was extremely hot and the air had a stale odour. The sink would not empty of water, there was a broken lamp in the bedroom and the breakfast was woeful. The hot selection had been under the heat lamps for so long that everything was dry and crunchy, the savouries where stale, the fresh fruit selection consisted of cheap tinned fruit in syrup and the cereals are obviously budget brands. For £8 each we could have eaten far better at the garden centre 200 yds away. So they need to really put some investment into the breakfast menu, raise the quality of the raw materials and replace food on the hotplate more quickly. Which is all a bit of a shame really as it's a lovely hotel, with friendly welcoming staff.

Room was fantastic, the cleaning staff in this hotel go out of their way to make sure the rooms are 1st class and even helped when we had loads of kids running round . Food was pretty good as well and looked good . Well done all the staff there you did us proud!!! ( daughters wedding was held there so we stayed 2 nights ) drinks a little pricey though ;-)

We recently visited this hotel for a friends wedding. The hotel is a really nice place. Rooms are smart with king size beds and flat screen TVs. The hotel is clean and tidy throughout and staff are all very helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a venue for their wedding do. Overall very enjoyable weekend.

The hotel is very well set out well and is very well maintained and very clean and tidy through out, all the staff were very friendly, rooms are superb with king sized beds flat screen TVs and tea making facilities, there is a choice of having bar food or eat in the tester aunt the foodies excellant, will definitely stay again

I have just returned from a mystery trip and this hotel was our stopover on the way to Southport. I must admit we wondered where we were going when we drove through an industrial estate but was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. It's clean, the food is lovely and so are the staff. We were fortunate that our coach driver organised some entertainment for us but I think this is the only thing missing.

Lovely hotel and amazing wedding! The main room was beautifully decorated and the lighting and table fixtures were stunning, the room was comfortable and clean, the parking and location were perfect. we woke up late for breakfast and the chef with the tattoos really looked after us and made us 3 breakfasts even though we were an hour late... Above and beyond grateful, thanks X

The hotel was conveniently close to Up Holland rail station (a few minutes walk), Clean and Tidy with friendly staff. A slightly odd layout having to drag my bags through the restaurant and bar areas to get to my room but no big issues really.

Nice hotel - just needs something to do in the evenings as the TV in the bar only shows the news and there are no leisure facilities (pool / gym etc). Good menu choices and excellent breakfast (continental or full English)

Lovely place. We had the Sunday lunch which was two courses for £10 between us we had the beef and the chicken both were lovely and good sized. We chose main meal and desert. The table staff was lovely and caring. The drinks were expensive but I suppose for a hotel it's to be expected.

A comfortable hotel in an attractive natural stone building. As usual Best Western standards stand out. Beds are comfortable, food and drink are good and the staff want to help. Internet access just happens, unlike with many other hotels.

Visited the hotel again, this time for an Elton John Tribute Night. A warm welcome was provided by kevin on arrival, who in turn showed us to our table. The menu for past tribute nights in other hotels has been quite restricted, to a choice of 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 desserts. Here the choice was bigger, with dishes available to cater for all tastes. great to see. The food served throughout the night was to a very good standard, with presentation adding to the overall quality. Service continues to be very good at this hotel, with staff smiling and chatting with customers, making them feel special. So to the reason for the visit, Elton John aka Jimmy Love. All I can say about this guy is that he was amazing. he blasted out hit after hit, whilst actually looking like the man himself. If you haven't seen this man, you should. People were up dancing from the first time he tinkled his ivory keys. A great night was had by all and I hope the hotel bring this man back soon.

We went to Lancashire Manor for a cabaret night with meal and bed and breakfast. The location is a bit weird - right next to a massive industrial estate - but you just aren't aware of this once you arrive. We really enjoyed our stay and thought it was excellent value for the money. The rooms were clean and comfortable and nicely decorated and the three course evening meal was very good and much better than we had expected. The staff were all friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome and special. The bar area and restaurant (where we had breakfast) are also very welcoming and comfortable. The breakfast was fine and nicely cooked - our only complaint was that some of the cooked food from the buffet was cold. All in all a very pleasant way to spend a Saturday night - great accommodation, great food and excellent entertainment. We won't hesitate in going again.

We attended a wedding reception at the manor recently. We were a little concerned as it is in the middle of an industrial estate. However once you enter the grand hall it is actually a really stunning room a fantastic choice for a wedding. A little bit chilly probably due to the size of the room very high ceilings which had stunning ceiling decoration. The buffet was served in another ajasant room. As I said before must admit it is a lovily setting for a wedding or party

I stayed at the Lancashire Manor on 16th March 2016 and after my stay, wrote a pretty poor review. When I got back home, I complained to BW Central Reservations .... and got an absolutely brilliant response both from them and from the Lancashire Manor's General Manager who has resolved my complaint fully, without question. I want to record my satisfaction with both organisations response to my complaint as there is no way to remove a review on TripAdvisor. You should have no hesitation in staying at the Lancashire Manor Hotel ...... they try REALLY hard to get things right.

We stayed for a wedding organised by the hotel on the 25th March. Attention to detail was excellent as were all the staff. The wedding meal and evening buffet was second to none . Our room was very clean and comfortableI would recommend the hotel for weddings and short stays.

Such a beautiful venue for weddings. We wish we had booked to stay in the hotel itself. The food was excellent and the attention to detail was second to none! The staff were very helpful too and went out of their way to ensure you had an enjoyable experience. Would definitely recommend Lancashire Manor for weddings & for a meal.

Late night stop. better than the average best western. Free Wifi without lengthy cryptic access codes was a nice touch. Best nights sleep in a long time. with roomy double bed, and clean simple style in the rooms. Not bad value for money at all.

The hotel location served the specific trip purposes, so I can't comment on that. The food at the restaurant was excellent, so I highly recommend trying it. The room was fine and the personnel very friendly.

Having reserved a room, via BW central reservations with a double bed a month earlier, I was provided with a twin single bed room. The hotel would not change my room and as a result, I barely slept that night. Very poor.
