We have enjoyed a ski vacation staying at The Rocky Mountain BW for nine years. It is always a pleasure. The staff is above average and the hotel is very nice. We appreciate the extras, like hot cocoa packet, cookies, popcorn, and the afternoon chili. The breakfast is very good. The hot tub is wonderful and the pool is open year round! Ebikes are available to use in the warmer weather. And the van pickup at Kalispell airport or Amtrak station is a great perk!
Thoroughly enjoyed our trip. 15 minutes to skiing by car, or there is a free shuttle available. Staff was great, very friendly, helpful and offered suggestions on local attractions. Rooms are a good value for the cost. Overall highly recommend this hotel.
We stayed in at the Best Western Rocky Mountain Lodge in Whitefish for 3 nights. This location is convenient as it is one of the stops on the S.N.O.W. bus that brings you to Whitefish Ski Resort. Each employee of the hotel was helpful, personable, and made sure we had a nice stay. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the free breakfast was great each morning. We will be returning to this hotel in the future!
The hotel in itself had a very homey feel to it. Lots of treats in the lovby waiting for skiers after a day on the slopes…nice touch! The room was spacious and quiet…who doesn't love quiet at a hotel!! The beds were amazingly comfy! The breakfast was plentiful and a great selection.
A member of our party was hospitalized on the day we were scheduled to arrive. We promptly cancelled our pre-paid reservation and the hotel was able to fill the vacancy almost immediately. Our travel agency requested a waiver from the hotel of the late cancellation penalty (over $500 CDN) and reportedly was laughed at by the property manager. They collected twice on one room. Subsequent efforts to resolve were ignored.
You can tell someone has an eye for detail. Clean, beautifully decorated and lots of little extra snacks left out for you to enjoy through the day. Breakfasts is well laid out and kept fully stocked right till it closes. Staff is all friendly and ready to help with whatever you need.
It was like walking into a movie when we entered the lobby. The added touches did not go unnoticed and I would absolutely stay here again. The hot chocolate station, with ginger snaps and popcorn was very enjoying. The toasy warm fire place near the station was beautiful to sit by.
Shuttle to/from FCA airport is a huge plus. Pick up and drop off at airport was right on time. Staff is especially courteous with exceptional sevice. Very clean and inviting. Nice hot breakfast. Quiet and relaxing rooms with nice TV. Overall, a real credit to Whitefish and Montana. Thanks!
Had a very pleasant stay at Rocky Mountain Lodge in Whitefish this past month. Hotel was clean and kept up well. Front end staff (Jamie) were friendly and helpful. Check in was a breeze and complimentary popcorn and cookies were a treat. Room was clean and did the trick for our small family. Wifi was strong and we did not have any issues with it. Even though hotel is located on a busy road it was still quiet. My daughter and husband enjoyed the pool and hot tub. My young daughter had no issue with the pool but my husband said it wasn't super warm lol Continental breakfast had a good variety, lots of seating, and items were constantly being refilled. There was a McDonald's across the street, and not a far distance to downtown, Kalispell (shopping and Target!), or the National Park. Overall, very happy with our stay and would go back!
Pet friendly and nice rooms. The location was really nice and centrally located, we enjoyed the snacks in the lobby and the breakfast. Our room was comfortable and clean. Would definitely stay here again. Had to pay a pet fee per pet but they gave us little baggies with a couple treats, poop bags and directions to the local dog park which was a nice touch. Would definitely stay here again.
This Best Western was not at all what the photos, description, and some reviews described. It was dirty everywhere, run down, beat up, and in disrepair. Positives were Randi (weekend lobby desk person) she was friendly and helpful. Cameron, a great young man who cleaned rooms and drove the courtesy bus. Pleasant, polite, and caring - a very good person. Negative, Jeff (2nd shift lobby desk person). Unfriendly, unhelpful, would not look at anyone directly, gave the same rehearsed speech to any of the typical tourist questions. When I went to check out he asked, "Did you enjoy your stay?" I responded, "The room was ok." I took a long pause and then said, "Everything else was not up to my expectations." He said "I'm sorry" and remained sitting staring at his computer screen. He would not engage directly with me. A good employee, a good hotel, would have trained Jeff to say something like this, "I'm so sorry Mr. (my name), how can we make it right?" Instead nothing. Jeff is not helping all of you at Best Western Rocky Mountain Lodge. One day, after returning from Glacier National Park, it was about 2pm or so, I went into the shower in our room (room 340). About 5 - 10sec into my shower the water began to dribble and went ice cold. I got out and got dressed and headed down to the lobby to report the problem. On the third floor there was a group of 3 employees and a plumber, in a utility room. Apparently some piping on the 2nd floor failed and was leaking into a guests room. For whatever reason repairs were done on the 3rd floor. I spoke with the plumber. He was great, competent and knew his work. I went back to our room and waited. About 30min later I left and walked down the hall to see how the work was going. The hallway was filled with what smelled like natural gas, it was thick. The plumber told me the water heater was lighting up and the draft in the hallway was pulling exhaust gas into the hall. He shut the door to the utility room and kept working. I went down to the lobby and a new young lady was there. She did not know about any of this and was completely unconcerned. No apology offered, no refund for the day, nothing. We will never go back here and I hope anyone else in the public who reads this review stays far away from your hotel.
We stayed in four different hotels/cabins during a two-week Yellowstone, Tetons, & Glacier trip. This hotel room was the cleanest & the one that was the MOST maintained out of them all! After spending a small fortune for a deluxe cabin in Jackson (which had a broken ac for half of our stay & big resort fees), you gain a greater appreciation for the Best Western--clean, comfortable, nice breakfast, no resort fees, & working ac! Tip--3rd floor was very quiet & pet free. Thank YOU!
We are retired and taking a road trip through the PNW, Canada and Alaska. Being a Best Western Elite Member has its benefits whereas we easily find hotels along the way and are treated like family. Love it!
Our family spent two weeks traveling this summer to see national parks. Our stay at Best Western Rocky Mountain Lodge was the best stay of our trip!! The staff were so friendly, complimentary snacks, great breakfast, internet, gym, complimentary laundry! They made our family feel welcome and relaxed, while meeting our needs!
Stayed two nights at BW Rocky Mountain Lodge after our Glacier National Park visit. We had a premier room with a king bed and lounge suite area, so it was spacious and felt large. Bed was comfy. No views from our room of anything but that was ok. Basic facilities but no room safe if that's important. Bathroom on the smaller side but ok. Whitefish accommodation is all expensive so given that felt the value for money was ok. The room had an individual air conditioner (which was needed), but it was quite noisey as in cut in/out, but after trying to have it off we put it on again as it was quite hot when we were in Whitefish. Parking super easy and breakfast was good as many other reviews comment on. The location is out of town a bit, and this is important as the hotel has no dinner options itself. So it means drive into town or try the hotel shuttle bus.
We had a great stay the room was very nice and my kids loved the outdoor pool. The hot tub is huge! Close enough to glacier national park for us to visit. The hotel was easy to find and easy location close to gas stations etc.
Further to the usual high quality of rooms, other amenities were worthy of note. The outdoor pool and hot tub are truly appreciated during the hot summer. Best Western always has high quality breakfasts. This facility bumps things up a notch. It is clean, spacious and well laid out, food choice is extensive, foods are replenished frequently, and the staff is attentive and courteous. Another nice touch was the availability of cookies and popcorn in the lobby.
We booked two nights at this property and it deserves the highest reviews. Beautiful decor, excellent free breakfast with unique entrees, clean and comfortable accommodations, free cookies/popcorn, free self serve laundry facilities, and plenty of free parking. I wish there were better dining options closer to the hotel as it sits south of downtown area but they do offer a free shuttle to downtown hourly. Whitefish is spendy, but this hotel is moderately priced in comparison to others. And our dog was welcomed with some treats too!
If you are searching for a convenient, well-kept, with amenities hotel, the Best Western in Whitefish is my recommendation. They give excellent service, advice, and are always friendly and willing to assist you.
I organized a weekend stay for my family and my son's hockey team. The breakfast was great. The outdoor pool was fun. Although they do not allow mini-stick hockey in the hallway, they were generous enough to provide a space for our kids to play between games. This hotel is located close to a bowling alley and Safeway. We would definitely stay here again with our team.
This was an incredible stay. My wife and I usually try to find Best Westerns whereever we go because of the breakfasts and overall comfort. This place has a outdoor hot tub and is amazing in the winter time. Will definatly stay here again.
Husband and I stayed two nights here as a home base for visiting GNP. The hotel itself was great, room was clean, breakfast was plentiful, absolutely no issues. Would have no issue staying here again. I will comment that we struggled to find quality restaurants between the hotel and GNP, so just be aware if that's your reason for staying here as well. We ended up eating in downtown Whitefish and the other side of Whitefish, which only adds to a long day of driving.
Very good value for money and vry friendly and helpful staff. Very good breakfast with many options to chose from. Great location. Our second stay at this hotel and we would not hesitate to recommend it to others.
Been here before, probably not the last time. Great rooms, breakfast and amenities. Friendly staff and the shuttle service rocks if it is too cold to walk. Within walking distance of shopping and parks.
My husband and I have stayed here many times. Since I have reviewed this hotel frequently, I just want to reiterate that the hotel is very clean and comfortable with an excellent breakfast. The entire staff is friendly, welcoming and very helpful for special requests. It is conveniently located to Glacier NP and Kalispell, as well as the Canadian border crossing. There are several very nice golf courses within a short drive. A very nice return visit. Thanks again to Erica, Lance, Mary and Shyla.
The Best Western Rocky Mountain Lodge has good parking and check in was easy. We arrived at check in time and the hotel still had free cookies available at the front desk. The room was clean and spacious enough. The breakfast was better than many hotel breakfasts and had hot eggs, bacon, cereal, yogurt, waffles, etc. This hotel is located about 40 minutes from the Apgar Visitor Center to Glacier National Park, which is entered by turning left once you hit West Glacier. The Going to the Sun Road can be accessed after you reach this entrance but does require each car to have a $2.00 vehicle between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m., which can be purchased ahead of time or a limited number of passes are available online starting at 8 a.m. and ending around 8:05 a.m. for the day after (good for 3 days total if you can get one). You can access the Going to the Sun road for free after 4 p.m. but it closes at 10 p.m. You will also need a park pass, which for a car is $35.00. If you don't have a reservation for the Going to the Sun road, you can drive to Two Medicine, which has nice hikes. The hot tube heater was broken and it took a couple of days for the part to arrive and get it fixed (but it did get fixed). If you are staying multiple nights and want maid service and fresh towels for your room, you need to request it the day before and do so by 1 p.m. On the plus side, there were two washers and dryers available for guests to use at no charge. The laundry room on our floor closed at 10 p.m. The only real downside was the remote control for the television. The TV was good but the remote was terrible and the remotes should be replaced with better ones.
Stayed two nights at this property while touring Glacier National Park. The included breakfast was excellent and plentyful. The coffee was particularly good. Room and bed was very comfortable and clean. Their shuttle car driver , apparently a new hire, was excellent.
Great location. Spacious rooms. Very comfortable beds and solid breakfast choices. Loved the homemade cookies left at the front desk. Would highly recommend. Washer and dryer were a great bonus. Great trip.
Stayed a week. Maid service is at guests request. Breakfast was great considering it's included and dining room staff very attentive. 1/2 hour drive to Glacier National Park. 15 min to great restaurants and town. 15 min to airport. The only disappointment was the pool. I thought it was advertised as heated but was not and way too cold for my family's liking. All staff was friendly and accommodating. Shuttle is also available. Would definitely reccomend.
Stayed here with girlfriend and dog. Everything was very nice--room, service, breakfast, internet. Nothing went wrong or was a problem other than TV remote, which was minor and which was addressed with a maintenance person immediately.
Our second time to stay with Rocky Mountain Lodge in Whitefish, we love the area and scenery, again I am very happy with the service and accommodations. Originally we stayed here because it is a pet friendly Hotel an important feature for us. Whitefish is somewhat expensive but Best Western is comparable or priced slightly lower than others, a better value in my opinion, we will be more than happy to stay here again. Very Relaxing! Kudos to the entire staff and managment.
i have to stay here for business quite a lot and frankly i am pretty disappointed in the instances i have stayed. Stained top blanket, manager screaming about employees, rude shuttle drivers. Everyone else and everything else besides that is good. Great breakfast also
We were super happy with this hotel. The employees were all friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was exceptionally good, with lots of options and the breakfast area was huge. The room was exceptionally large. There was a nice table and two chairs plus a nice large chair in addition to the huge king-size bed. We also loved that unlike a lot of hotels the sink was inside the enclosed bathroom and not open to the bedroom. We will absolutly stay here again!
This is a nice Best Western to stay at in Whitefish, MT. Check in was quick, friendly, and even had cookies for us and dog treats for our dog. Had a pet agreement to sign describing the pet rules which was great! They also have a designated pet area with disposal bags right there which is also great. However, there is also a $20 pet pet pet fee which was a bummer. Many hotels (some Best Westerns as well) are not charging an additional pet fee which is really nice for those of us who need to travel with a pet! It makes an impact on my decision if a hotel lets pets stay free! The breakfast was normal Best Western breakfast with plenty of hot items, yogurt, coffee, hot water. Wish there was more fruit options than apples. Overall, a nice stay for the 1 night we stayed. Clean, friendly, comfortable.
We have stayed many times over the years for both business and personal reasons. They have continued to improve upon their already outstanding offering in terms of rooms; breakfast; transportation to the airport and Amtrak all with exceptional employees. This is the only place you should stay while visiting whitefish or Kalispell, Montana.
We've stayed here many times and love the location, breakfast and hot tub! Staff is friendly and accommodating. Front desk cookies are always a win for mg kids too. We stayed here a couple times a year prior to Covid and this was our first visit back, awesome!
Great staff, nice room, and the amenities (tasty breakfast, shuttle bus, pool with large hot tub outside, and fresh-baked cookies at the front desk in the afternoon), give this hotel an extra edge when we return to the area. Have stayed here multiple times.
Great place to stay. Clean rooms. Helpful, courteous staff. Good food in the breakfast room. Very nice touch with the chilli for apres skiing! Although not within walking distance to downtown, it was still convenient to everything. I came in on the Amtrak train. Rented a car for the time there ( over a week ). Although it wasn't necessary to rent a car, it made getting around a lot easier. The ski bus was so convenient, right out the back door of the hotel p/u and d/o to the ski area!
This is a wonderful hotel. Kind staff. Wonderful breakfast. Cozy and warm lobby with a fire going all the time. Warm cookies to greet us. Our room was large and comfortable with a fireplace. Great location to Glacier, Kalispell and Big Fork.
We had a great time, the staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The location was great. Across the street is a 24 grocery and a ski rental place. We were 15 mins from the ski resort, which made it easy go to and from the hotel. Great breakfast, with gluten free options.
My first impression was that the property needed updating. For the money, I think it about $50 a night too high. However, the staff was friendly and the facilities were very clean (the reasons for four stars and not three). The motel is conveniently located. I wouldn't mind staying here again, but I'll price shop before I do.
This hotel is about an hour outside of Glacier National Park, but so comfortable and clean with WiFi! We traveled to Glacier for photography purposes and having this Best Western as our home base in between long adventure days was absolutely perfect!
Since we had been here in June of 2020 we knew we could count on a nice hotel. We decided to reserve a suite for two nights. I did imagine the bed would be separated from the living area though. Was a bit surprised as it was all just one big room. There was one chair with a tiny ottoman but no sofa so I had to sit on the bed to read. Thought a suite was a division of space/room/divider?! We did have a small table where we played cards. We did have a large TV with an electric fireplace under it. There was a tiny balcony to hold one person overlooking the outdoor pool/spa. There was a very long counter space, maybe 8 ft. with a microwave and frig. Also a sink/faucet. Why? King bed was comfy, slept well. Overall quiet. Nice artwork, five I can see from the bed. Shower was hot and strong which felt good after being on the road. Breakfast was served hot or cold with good variety of eggs, sausage/bacon, two types of potatoes, cereals, fruit, breads, etc. Hotel close to cute downtown.
On a road trip down Hwy 2 west, stopped to see Glacier NP, stayed at Best Western, at Whitefish, Glacier was 20 miles back, but that was ok. Went back to glacier the next day, up to Logan Pass. Best Western was a nice place.
There is nothing bad that I can say at all about this hotel. We were greeted by a very friendly young girl at the front desk. All employees were engaging and friendly during our stay. We got fresh baked cookies every day (and really looked forward to what the flavor of the day was). The room appeared to be newly updated and clean. Beds were comfortable and we slept great. Breakfast was pretty expansive (cereal, danish, bagels, waffles, bacon, eggs, potatoes, sausage, tornados ,fresh fruit and probably more that i can't think of. ) Located close to Glacier park which was a great convenience. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable friendly place to stay.
My husband and I were in town to visit Glacier National Park. This hotel is located about 20 minutes from the entrance at West Glacier. I pre-registered on the drive there. When we arrived, they had all of our extra requested items (pillows, etc.) waiting for us at the front desk. All the staff we encountered during our stay were friendly, helpful, and professional.. We reserved a King Mini Suite. The room was spacious with numerous amenities. The bed was very comfortable and the fireplace was a lovely bonus! The hotel and rooms were clean. Breakfast was included in our stay. There was wide variety of options (cereal, fruit, bagels, muffins, toast, yogurt, eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, juice, coffee, and more). This was a great place to stay and we would definitely book here again!
The location was great for Glacier National Park and the town of Whitefish had lots of really good restaurants and shops. Everything was as advertised. The nice surprise was the free laundry- this was a big deal for us and grateful! The only downside was the location to the road. It was a little noisy especially if you are a light sleeper.
So many gluten free options available for breakfast! Bagels and Muffins? Rarely heard of in a complimentary breakfast! I was delighted! Their hot tub was the perfect temperature and a relaxing location. Close to the Whitefish Resort where we enjoyed mountain biking that day!
Very well maintained, great hot breakfast, clean, and fairly close to downtown shopping/dining area. Room make up service available if requested. Approximately 40 minute drive to Glacier National Park from hotel.
We stayed with them at the beginning and end of our trip to Glacier National Park and they are wonderful! Even before we arrived, I had been in contact with them about shuttle service, and they were always so friendly and helpful. All of their staff went above and beyond to make our stay easier and enjoyable. The shuttle was waiting for us when we got off the train, and helped us get our rental car the next morning. And the breakfast...wow! We didn't even need lunch! I have never seen such a large buffet for a hotel breakfast, and even gluten free options! The rooms are comfortable and spacious, was great to have a fridge for our stuff. I would highly recommend staying here, worth every penny!
Location: one mile south of town on the main highway. Within walking distance to a bowling alley with a decent restaurant. Fast food across the highway. Fine dining downtown. Property: A little old but well maintained. The lobby is clean, but the elevator carpet is disgustingly filthy. Only one elevator. Room: We had a king. It was large. One TV was a good size. Mattress was too spongy and we got up sore. Staff: Friendly and helpful. Breakfast: Breakfast is served in large room. Breakfast is full service. Price: Priced at about $225. Fair for the area. Fitness Center: Terrible. Tiny room. The elliptical and the treadmill did not work-no electrical cords. The clock said 1:00 when it was about 7:00. The cups for the water were outside the room with no notification. The door was unlocked allowing kids to go in. Business Center; Two computers and one printer in the open.
We stopped in late at night to find a room, the clerk was so helpful and friendly and gave us a discounted rate. The room had so much to offer....and was right next to their laundry room so we easily washed a few loads. They have the BEST buffet breakfast we have ever had at a chain hotel and the 24/7 coffee bar in the lobby was an added plus.
Comfortable beds, pleasant staff, Continental breakfast was gone b4 we got there, cold food, all 3 days. Mobile preregistration was easy & convenient. Towels were great. Room cleaning & replenishing was not explained correctly, so no clean towels or coffee for 3 days. Also, no security safe in the room, so maybe it was for the best.
Our group of 10 had hoped to stay in a house but couldn't find anything available, se we ended up here. Turns out, it was a great visit. The rooms were spacious and we were able to use the conference room to eat carry out dinners together - it was so busy in Whitefish this week that it was difficult for our large group to eat at a restaurant, so we ordered dinners each afternoon to pick up and eat at the hotel. The pool was small but nice. All of the employees were happy and helpful. Our first night there, at midnight, a smoke detector was beeping and someone from the front desk figured out it was in the empty room next door and managed to find replacement batteries to fix it. Also very dog friendly, which was nice for our group traveling with one pet. Walking distance to DQ, a bowling alley and Safeway among other things.
I have stayed at Best Western Holels before, but this was the best experience I have ever had. The friendly staff went over and above anything I have ever had. Breakfast was top of the line, the desk staff were always smiling, the cleaning crew were friendly and we got everything we needed right away. the rooms were so CLEAN, that was unusual in my past with Best Westerns. But I will come back to this one again and again when I go to Whitefish Montana.
First thing first - Staff are very friendly and helpful. We stayed for our trip to Glacier National Park. The hotel is about 1/2 hour from the park's west entrance and somehow close to Whitefish downtown. Rooms are clean. The breakfast was between 6:30 to 9:30, allows to be relaxed and not miss the breakfast. The breakfast buffet was good.
I stayed at this location for my visit to Glacier National Park. The only flaw was that the parking lot pavement needs a little repair work. Considering the weather there, I guess this might be an annual item. Everything else about my stay was enjoyable and satisfying. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, internet service was fast, and checking in and out was quick and simple. Everyone I had contact with at the front desk was friendly, helpful, and informative. Breakfast was in a large room with plenty of places to sit. The variety of food items was great, plus the staff was always ready to help.
The wife and I have stayed at around 400 motels/hotels in all of our travels. This Best Western was the very best. The staff is absolutely wonderful. Special compliments go to Roxy and Sean. The morning buffet met all of our daily needs. We parked in the rear for an easy entrance to the lobby. Our room was enormous. Shower, wifi, bed, furniture - top of the line.
What a great hotel! The staff was so friendly and helpful and the rooms were great. We had brought our small dog and there was a grassy area out back to take them but also a great local dog park a few miles away. Very clean property and will definitely return.
This hotel is beautiful. Clean and comfortable. We stayed in a jacuzzi king suite which was super nice. The only complaint I could come up with would be that grab bars installed by the jacuzzi would be helpful. Great breakfast and loved the outdoor hot tub in the rain!!
The location was perfect for everything... shopping, groceries, shuttle to the ski mountain and dog walking. The staff was extremely nice and hotel was very, very clean. I would definitely stay there again.
We booked this hotel on a last minute trip to the Kalispell - Whitefish area. I was able to book the hotel using my mobile phone and within 20 minutes of arrival the front desk had my room assigned and my keys ready for my arrival. The staff was extremely helpful and very friendly. The hotel has a heated pool and hot tub year round. We did not have our swimsuits, however I'll admit that the area looked very inviting and I was wishing that I had one. Breakfast was provided in a Covid-19 friendly format. Jimmy Dean frozen breakfast sandwiches, selection of fresh fruit. There was also cerera, oatmeal and yogurt available.
We decided to take a spur of the moment trip to Whitefish and were pleasantly surprised to find an available room at the Best Western Rocky Mountain Lodge. The staff were helpful & courteous. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We will stay again!
Not a kid or group friendly hotel at all. Given a list of restrictions AFTER we checked in. Monitored on hallway cameras constantly (hoping only in the hallways) Staff very unprofessional and rude. A noise complaint for kids giggling at 7pm and told the hotel would call the cops if it continued, however dogs were barking most of the night.
Very awesome friendly staff!! Very willing to help with any questions or concerns. Would like the original breakfast back, tired of all the Covid nonsense but otherwise an enjoyable stay, will use again.
We have stayed here a few times in the past and have always appreciated this hotel. Rooms/beds are quite large and comfortable and always clean. Front desk staff are friendly and helpful and the SNOW bus also picks up right behind the hotel. We also enjoyed the freshly baked cookies available at check-in. We will return again and again! Oh yeah, the hotel also offers the use of a laundry room for no charge; very handy!
Best Western has always been one of our favorites, but will look else where next time we travel for a group. I was responsible for booking a block of rooms for a weekend in beautiful Whitefish. The manager, Weston was friendly, helpful and said they appreciated the business during these times. However, when we checked in we were met with a set of "rules" and "restrictions" We had a noise complaint at 7pm of kids giggling to loudly, however the dogs were allowed to BARK and BARK throughout the night ALL night. They said that most of the restrictions in place were due to Covid, however the morning front desk clerk was not even wearing a mask. No fitness room. Pool was freezing. Breakfast was marginal. Parking lot was very icy and not properly maintained. There are lots of other options in Whitefish.
Hair in bathtub upon arrival. Pool freezing cold as the boiler is broke w restrictions on use for the Hottub which was lovely BTW! Standard microwave crappy BW breakfast made worse by Covid restrictions. No work out room.....Covid Limited cleaning......Covid No gathering w friends in rooms or lobby area......Covid BUT the real kicker was the complete lack of professionalism by the afternoon Front Desk Agent. Manager did a nice job of trying to resolve the many issues BUT doesn't work evenings or weekends and she was as poor of a hospitality provider as I've seen in a few years. There are much better options in this lovely town than to stay at this substandard poorly managed dirty hotel!! My family has crossed it off the list of future options!
This hotel is great and has a good location for downtown or skiing. The staff at the front desk was friendly and efficient. Our room was about as clean as a room could possibly be. There is breakfast available but we didn't partake as we brought a box of cereal, fruit and milk with us instead. There is a fridge and a microwave in the room. I think it's also pet friendly.
The room was clean , cookies were delicious the customer service by the front desk was amazing! The girl at the front desk watched over our daughter and made sure she was getting in the vehicle with only our family :) much appreciated! The bed was very comfortable! We loved our stay !
Everything from the cozy lobby to a professional and and courteous staff, an immaculate room and perfect bed made my stay wonderful! I recommend this Best Western in Whitefish to everybody and I hope your stay is as pleasant as mine.
Location was great-close to restaurants and downtown Whitefish. Wonderful staff-friendly to both 2 and 4 legged guests. Room was nice, clean and comfortable. Traveling during COVID-19 does create restrictions in the hotel's ability to offer the usual services. Breakfast was still available as “grab an go”-didn't mind that in the least. Maid service is limited, but, again I didn't mind making my own bed or going to the front desk to request clean towels. The hotel provides a nice grassy dog walking area which includes a dog waste bin and waste bags for your use. All in all a great 3 night stay. I only have 1 gripe/complaint: the hotel charges an extra $20.00 per night for your pet. The cost is fair and I didn't mind paying it. However, common courtesy and having the tools at your disposal to clean up after your pet does not guarantee everyone that has a pet will be courteous. Such was the case during our stay. I have never had to be so mindful of stepping in dog doo as I was this trip! Rude, lazy dog owners...SHAME! The flip side of that is a pet owner that assumes the extra charge means the hotel will take care of clean up...after all, you're paying for the pet over and above what other guests are paying that do not have pets traveling with them. Here's my complaint...if the hotel is going to charge an extra fee for dogs per night, the hotel should have an employee going out and providing some clean up daily at least in the designated pet area. Simple common courtesy, pride in your business and being able to combat guests from walking on carpeted floors without leaving dog poo tracks or having to clean the bottom of their shoes using hotel towels!
The woman at the front desk in the evening was super friendly, interesting, and helpful! All other staff we encountered were really nice and also helpful. Our room was a suite with a gas fireplace and was roomy yet cozy and comfy. It had all we needed. Room had been updated sometime recently which is always nice. We really appreciated having nightstands at the bedside with lamps and electric outlets and USB ports! We also loved having a kitchenette with sink, small fridge, microwave and countertop. We liked being able to put our feet up on the coffee table and ottoman as well as bringing our breakfast up to our room each and and having comfortable table and chairs to eat at! The closet is large and there are big dressers and a large TV. The bathroom is on the smaller side but has a large single vanity and large lighted mirror. The king bed was really comfortable for being well used (probably?) and we are grateful for the thorough sanitizer ion process they use during these times. We do bring our own wipes and clean all surfaces, etc. anyways. Great 4-day stay!
This hotel stands out because I was traveling due to my son being in a serious accident. We had to load all his belongings into the room to sort and pack for a train ride back to Indiana. The hotel helped with getting rid of the trash, providing a shuttle to the airport to drop off the rental car, and to the Amtrak station. When we couldn't get everything on the train, Brett even shipped us what we couldn't fit. Great work, thank you.
Absolutely excellent service. The check in check out process was flawless. The room was very nice. The breakfast with the new Covid rules was better than most. Overall it is a nice hotel and was a good stay.
My parents just completed a 3-day stay celebrating their wedding anniversary. The staff went the extra mile and worked with me to provide a gift basket, flowers and other goodies as a surprise for them. Really impressed with their willingness and eagerness to make their stay extra special!
We stayed here for two nights while visiting Glacier National Park. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly. We booked a king suite. It had a fireplace (which we didn't use) and a pull out couch (which we did use). The bathroom was large (although the shower was pretty small for my very tall husband and son). We enjoyed the COVID-friendly pre-ordered breakfast options the hotel offered. We appreciated the free laundry facilities (two washers and dryers, bring your own detergent) and the use of the guest computers in the lobby so we could print a few school things for my son. The hotel is about 30 minutes from the park and very near downtown Whitefish. All in all a great stay.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean & spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. We appreciated having a refrigerator & microwave in the room. The hotel was in a good location, right across the street from McDonald's, next to DQ, near a Safeway Food store, and next to a large Ace Hardware. It's very easy to find; close to Glacier Int'l Airport, & not too far from Glacier Nat'l Park. When we booked the stay, we looked forward to the full, hot breakfast, but due to Covid-19, it wasn't offered, but we were offered some complimentary hot food items for breakfast, such as egg, bacon, cheese on an English muffin, which were good, along with cereal, milk, juice, oatmeal, apple, banana, orange, muffins, yogurt, bagels, etc. There was always complimentary bottled water & coffee available in the lobby, as well as delicious, fresh homemade cookies every day. Check-in & check-out were fast & easy. We enjoyed our stay, & highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Whitefish, MT area.
For a Best Western, you will feel as if you are in a rustic lodge. The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff were friendly and helpful. They offer a number of amenities that improve your stay including coffee and water in the lobby, cookies at the front desk, and a pool adjacent to the lobby. The location is good as you can walk to downtown from the hotel, but there are even several things right around the block. Nothing's perfect though. People think they can bring their dogs with them everywhere now, and the Best Western Rocky Mountain Lodge lets them. So we listened to dogs bark in the neighboring rooms throughout our stay : ( Never-the-less, I would still recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Whitefish or Glacier.
We booked this hotel in Whitefish to accommodate our trip to Glacier. It was the perfect hotel for us and an easy ride to GNP. In addition, there was a grocery store across the street if you needed it. We felt very safe considering the pandemic. Masks were required in common areas and everyone was abiding by the rule. We ordered our breakfast (our favorite was a good breakfast sandwich and fresh fruit) the night before so it was ready for us as we hit the road to the park. There were several hand sanitizers throughout the lobby and wipes available. The kids had fun in our ‘private pool and hot tub' as you had to reserve it ahead of time. We never had an issue getting a time slot. The room felt very clean, and the hotel staff members we very nice. Our air conditioner was a bit loud but not a problem since we were so tired from our days at the park. We would definitely return to this hotel if(when :) we come back to Glacier.
Nice clean hotel. Room was $229 plus tax which is on the upper-middle end of things but it was clean and staff was really nice. We would stay here again! Even with all the COVID craziness right now everything was easy and straight forward.
A nice reception on arrival. A large room with two queen beds was super nice. Great shower and hot water after a long day of traveling. Plus very comfy beds. Quiet, probably due to many not traveling due to COVID19. Best night's stay so far. Grab and go breakfast bags were waiting for us on our way out.
This was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. My fiance and I were in town for work during the pandemic and the staff treated us like scum because we have a Seattle, WA billing address. No greeting when we approached the front desk, they refused to serve us our continental breakfast even though they provided sack breakfast for other guests (spoke with guests in the elevator). They placed different folks in adjoining rooms to us for eight nights out of our ten day stay and did not space folks accordingly for safe social distancing. You could hear through the walls, we had to continuously fetch toilet paper and tissues from the front desk as they would not bring anything to our room. The staff NEVER wore face masks nor did we see them sanitize any surfaces. Awful experience, could not locate the manager on site when asked. Leaking faucet in the bathroom, continuously lost internet and could not get housekeeping to properly clean our room.
This was our 7th stay here. We come every year to ski. The staff always seems genuinely interested in making sure everyone has a pleasant stay. The drivers to and from the airport are friendly and prompt, the front desk staff is helpful. The breakfast could be improved with non meat protein offerings. One morning both egg choices contained sausage and I don't eat meat. They offered an after ski chili which my husband enjoyed and cookies in the afternoon which was a nice addition. The rooms are a nice size, lobby is comfortable and the hot tub is wonderful, nice and large. We were also able to use "The Wave" which is a community center with three indoor pools, etc. That is really a nice benefit.
We visit The Whitefish area several times a year. Our stay at this Best Western is always top notch. Great staff on all shifts. Love the free shuttle service. Value for seniors is very welcome. Also enjoy the canIne greeting on most stays.
One of the best stays in a very long time. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very nice and very clean. Location to food..so resort was spot on. Lobby very inviting with chili in the afternoon, cookies, coffee
This is second extended skiing vacation in Bestwestern Rockymountain lodge. Besides comfortable room, convenient laundry room, all sorts of snacks, and after ski chili everyday, I love how friendly, professional, and helpful the staffs are. Especially to the hotel manager Weston who always be nice, wears a warm smile and be there for you to figure things out in an efficient manner! Front desk ladies Kristie, Shara, and Jenifer are super polite and friendly. Maintenance crew(John, Andy, and Anthony) are awesome with helping guests around. I would like to recommend anyone to stay here and will be back again.
This is our third annual trip to the Whitefish Best Western during ski season. We don't even bother looking anywhere else because they have great food (lots of breakfast choices, an apres ski chili bar, cookies and chocolate always available), good prices and are dog friendly. Travelers with dogs are assigned rooms on the first floor near an exit door that opens on to a green space for quick bathroom breaks. The staff are very welcoming to dogs (treats!) and the outdoor off-leash park is a quick 5 min drive away. Pet fee was $20 US per day up to $100 per stay.
We have stayed at this hotel several times this winter to ski at Whitefish Mountain. The hotel staff is always welcoming and professional. The breakfasts are good and have a lot of variety. The cookies & apres ski chilli bar are a nice bonus. The rooms, lobby, and hot tub are always clean. There is a SNOW bus stop for the mountain just across the street or it is just a few minutes drive up to the resort. We really like this hotel.
We stayed here for one week. The hotel was clean, the staff was very friendly and knowledgable about the area. No parking issues. All spaces are close to an entrance. If you are looking for something right in the middle of the action of downtown this is not the place to stay. However it is convenient to downtown and I believe that they will shuttle you downtown with advanced notice. If I ever have the opportunity to go back to Whitefish I would definitely consider staying here again. It was very affordable and worth it!
Just what the title says! Horrible new management, wiFi never works, TV's are out. Take your business elsewhere! Why anyone would stay here is beyond me. Pool/hot tub never works! Just awful. Save yourself.
This Hotel is centrally located to town. We had no problems finding our way around and a short 20 minute drive to the ski resort. The hotel staff is professional and took care of our every needs. The room was spacious and very comfortable!
The staff really made our stay wonderful - they were consistently friendly and answered any questions with a smile. Great breakfast, plus apres ski chili in the afternoon! Cozy fireplace in the lobby, heated outdoor pool and hottub even in the winter. Location wasn't too far away from Whitefish at all... I drove downtown in less than 5 minutes, and my partner had a nice walk that took about 30 min. Would definitely stay here again over pricey boutique hotels in more "downtown" Whitefish.
Christine at the front dest was a real professional. She was kind, accomodateing and caring. The facility was clean and well maintained. There was an afternoon chili bar that we enjoyed. The breakfast that was served was the only down side. There did not seem to be any protien choices. Other than that it was a great experience staying there.
Five minutes on the shuttle from the train station; 20 minutes by shuttle to the GP airport. Across the street from the SNOW shuttle to the mountain ski hill. Greast room, great breakfast with hot and cold choices, fruit, etc. Quiet throughout. Two buildings from the Pin and Cue restaurant which was also excellent. Very polite and helpful staff.
Stayed here 2 nights while on a business trip and was joined by my wife. The staff were friendly and accomodating. The pool and hot tub were a plus and even though I didn't use it the workout room was well furnished. The continental breakfast had lots of options and was quite good as well. I would definitely consider staying here again.
Stayed here for a week during the Christmas break. The hotel staff are great and very courteous. Rooms could use a upgrade on the in room temperature control. Great location and good parking. Close to shopping and restaurants.
We spent a week here and were welcomed with the warm hospitality we have come to expect from Best Western! Convenient airport shuttle, and shuttle to downtown made a car unnecessary, and location next to Safeway easy to pick up a few extras for the week. Plentiful breakfast and chili in the afternoons for apres ski treat! Staff was so friendly, too!
We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean. The hotel is not far from the downtown area. A little to far to walk. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful with dinner suggestions and hiking options.
My room was great, I have stayed here before. Always very friendly staff. I love all the little extras that are provided, bottled water was a great extra. The hot breakfast keeps me coming back, The are in which the lodge was located was perfect.
Every year we head south to Whitefish Montana for my Wife's birthday shopping weekend. She like to get a bunch of stocking stuffers for the kids and a few knick-knack gifts we can't get in Canada. We decided to stay at the Best Western Rocky Mountain Lodge as I am a member of the Best Western Rewards and had a Points night to use up. Our Room was amazing and the view was stellar. Being super easy to find and get back to while out and about is an added bonus as well. Lots to do if you stay in as it has a Heated outdoor hot tub and pool. And the complimentary breakfast each day...was a HUGE Bonus for us as breakfast is our JAM! Can't wait till out next trip to Whitefish and stay here again...as Joe and his Staff nailed it!!
Spacious, clean rooms. Very pet friendly. All the staff made friends with our Corgi. Grassy area for him which seemed "maintained" by folks who have the courtesy to pick up after their pets. Staff was very pleasant.
This hotel has by far the BEST customer service, and I have been to very many hotels as I travel a lot. From their complimentary shuttle to/from the airport (our flight got delayed, instead of 12 am, we got in at 1am then had to be at the airport at 4am for our flight at the end of the week), to their amazing hot breakfast, to their free laundry, this hotel had it all. They even had free chocolate chip cookies and made us a to go bag for our really early flight since they didn't serve breakfast until 6am. The hotel is clean, new, and affordable! You cannot go wrong with this hotel! It's an excellent choice!
The hotel is very clean with a friendly staff and good breakfast. The rooms are quiet with comfortable beds and plenty of space. The hotel is in a wonderful location it is close to everything in a beautiful city.
It's so wonderful when you see a motel getting it just right! When they underpromise and over deliver! All we needed was a clean and cheap place to stay, relatively close to glacier national Park. And they gave us that and much more. Warm, friendly check-in. Great housekeeping. A warm pool, for those chilly mornings, and also a pretty big hot tub. Simple breakfast with enough options for everyone in a very very spacious room. Employees constantly restocking the breakfast room. Tea, coffee, fruit infused water in the lobby all day. Microwave and refrigerator in the rooms. Ample parking outside. And here's more- regular shuttles going from hotel to whitefish downtown! Need I say more?!
Excellent staff courtesy and helpfulness. Impressed by comfort and quality of furniture, art photos on the walls everywhere, decor of carpets and hallways. Hotel is Eco green with recycling, no plastic bags in garbage cans, and linen. Hotel entry doors are accessible with front desk physical assistance.
Have stayed at this hotel several times and have had a pleasant experience every time. The Shuttle Service is great as I come in and leave on Amtrak. Great Front Desk people, Shuttle Drivers, Dining Room Attendants, and Housekeeping are all exceptional. Wonderful Breakfast every morning. Have no complaints as this Best Western will spoil you.
The staff and owners have obviously paid attention to detail at this hotel! The decor was beautiful and homey. Breakfast was great, although more fruit would have been appreciated. We were welcomed with a map of downtown and recommendations for dinner, and were immediately greeted by staff whenever we came out of the elevator. Beds could have been softer and pillows more firm for my liking, and there seemed to be a mix up in the system with our room request - I had booked a king room initially in a pet free room but perhaps due to pet-free availability we were put in a room with two queens (this was totally fine, just unexpected). Close enough to walk to downtown and there are two grocery stores within a block of the hotel as well.
We stayed at the Rocky Mountain Lodge after a day in Glacier National Park. The staff was welcoming upon our arrival. They gave us a few recommendations for dinner. The room was large and clean. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was ample and the team managing the buffet was top notch. Highly recommended and we'd definitely stay there again.
Nice, clean option well located in Whitefish. Kids used the pool and had a great time. We stayed here to visit Glacier National Park but the Going to the Sun road was closed from this side. Be sure to check park access before committing to a hotel in Whitefish - you may want to locate near the east entrance 3 hours away.
My husband and I stayed here recently on our first trip to Montana and our experience was wonderful! We were greeted by Shannon who was friendly and professional and who checked us in quickly. There were fresh baked cookies at the reception desk, which was a nice touch. Within minutes we were in our room (237) that was more like a luxurious suite and much nicer than we expected. Lots of good pillows on bed. Good, free wifi and cable with many premium channels. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful with good of variety of hot and cold offerings. There was a nice pool, but we did not use it and spent most of our time hiking. Downtown Whitefish is a nearby, easy walk with many good restaurants and shops. As noted by others, there is also a large Safeway very close by that has a full range of groceries and a decent wine selection too. The location of this hotel is perfect for exploring Whitefish. Kristie checked us out after our stay and she was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our airplane boarding passes were even printed for us quickly and free of charge. We would stay here again in a heartbeat and heartily recommend it!
This was a good stay. The beds were very comfortable. The staff was friendly. The breakfast, while standard, was a notch above based on small above-average touches. I wish there had been more parking. That was always a challenge. The amenities were poor. We were given a handicap room, which I didn't care for. The fridge was a little noisy, though I didn't hear anything else, which made sleeping easy.
We stayed Sept. 12 to Sept 15, 2019. The hotel is clean, quiet and has a really nice breakfast. All hotel staff were very helpful and professional. The drive to Glacier NP only takes about 30 minutes. The breakfast attendant was friendly and kept all the food well stocked. It is a short 5 minute drive to downtown Whitefish. We will definitely stay here again.
This is probably one of the nicest best westerns we have stayed at. Large nicely decorated rooms and a lovely lobby and fireplace. The hotel looks as if it has been recently updated. Breakfast was good with little omelettes one day and fried eggs and bacon the next day. Front desk was very helpful. Definitely would stay here again.
My husband and I have stayed here several different times on many trips to the area. The hotel is clean, comfortable and very convenient to downtown Whitefish and Glacier National Park. Breakfast served each morning in the very pleasant breakfast room with nice choices of eggs, waffles, yogurt, fruit, cereal, several varieties of bread for toasting, and good coffee. Coffee is also available all day in the lobby. The breakfast staff is very customer service oriented, willing to help with waffles, oatmeal prep, etc. There is a very nice Safeway grocery store within short walking distance where you can stock up on snacks and water for your outings. They also make good deli sandwiches! A special thanks to the hospitality and customer service at the front desk as well. It is always a pleasure to return to Whitefish and be greeted warmly. Thanks for a very nice stay.
From check-in to check-out our stay was worry free and staff was very attentive and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. Location was convenient with easy access to all shopping/eating and glacier park itself.
Nice hotel. Clean. Staff was nice! Breakfast was great and different items for everyone. Recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Whitefish MT. Close to downtown and pretty much anything you might need during your stay.
Hotel was clean, quiet and close to glacier. Downtown Whitefish was minutes away. Front desk was very helpful in answering any questions about the area and I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Highly recommend.
Stayed here for 2 nights before a Glacier Bike trip and couldn't have been more pleased. Free shuttle to/from airport was an unexpected surprise. Every staff member was very helpful. Clean, comfy w/ good breakfast. Held a bag for 4 days so we would only have to take one on our bike trip. Absolutely nothing negative to say. Would definitely stay here again
Great staff helped us get to know the area, shortcuts and best places to visit. Rooms were always spotless. I had a horrible cold which my wife later caught, causing us to spend a whole day downtime in the hotel, The staff was understanding and helpful in getting us back up and running.
We stayed here for three nights and really enjoyed our visit. The front desk staff was so friendly and helpful, and our room was large, comfortable, and quiet. It's about a mile walk to downtown Whitefish, where there are lots of restaurants and shops to check out. It's about a 45 minute drive to Glacier National Park, but there was no traffic to speak of on the road, so it seemed like a quick trip. We loved the hot tub after hiking all day in the park. All in all, a great stay!
The hotel was very clean. The breakfast was good. It was your typical breakfast for hotels, make your own waffles, omletes, meat, muffins, bagels. The staff is helpful and answered all our questions about the area. It is a great place to stay for visiting Glacier. It is close to great restaurants and the drive into the park is nice. There is a shuttle that takes you into town if you don't want to drive. The price is typical for the area.
Couldn't ask for more. Very good visit for my first time in Montana. After five nights backpacking we appreciated the clean and comfortable rooms and laundry service. It was nice to wake up with a hot breakfast. Thanks!
You will not find better service at any motel or hotel location then Stuart, Shannon and Mary working the front area. The coffee and cookies at night are a nice touch to the service at this location. Breakfast is served on time and the servers make sure they never run out of food.
Stayed here for two nights. Good sized room though pricey because it is upscale Whitefish. Very helpful and friendly front desk staff. Rooms have good insulation against noise. Excellent A/C. Good parking. Located across from a mall containing a supermarket. About a one mike walk from downtown Whitefish.
It's typical BW, does everything alright, nothing great. We stayed here for one reason - we thought it was close to Glacier National Park. It's not. The breakfast was poor. The staff were mostly pleasant and helpful apart from Shannon who I think suffers from inertia and is in the wrong job.
This is my third time at this BW. It is close to downtown, and all that the city has to offer. The room was clean, and comfortable. Everyone at reception were great, and very accommodating! There's ample parking and a great pool to enjoy a late summer dip.
This was the best place to stay! Everyone was wonderful—Kristie, Jennifer, and Kristen, the Manager!! We loved our stay here—You won't be disappointed—Clean, excellent coffee, and refreshing infused water; Stellar housekeeping staff—Everyone is friendly and helpful—The Best Western is a short walk from Whitefish—A beautiful walk too over a bridge and the town is so charming!!! Love this place!!! We found this wonderful place late one night and are so thankful to Kristie, who found us a pet friendly room! We would stay here again in a heartbeat!! Thank you!!!
The location was perfect for access to Whitefish & Glacier National Park. Was also convenient to airport. We used this as a base for exploring the area. There was also a grocery store across the street as well as a couple of fast food restaurants.
This is a very clean hotel with friendly staff, nice decor. They even have varied breakfast options that change each day. The rooms are very nice, very clean, and a little expensive which is normal for a resort area.
For the price you have to pay for this place, it is really not worth the money. The room is cheaply furnished, where the king size bed rocks when one person moves, he bathroom towels are thin and small, and the water in the shower weak. The one positive thing is that there is a complementary laundry.
This is a 3 story Best Western with beautiful western decor. The rooms are new renovated and very clean. The breakfast includes hot items. I would avoid room 236 due to the bright light that shines in at night from the parking lot.
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We enjoyed the free parking and breakfast. Location was good for us to access Glacier National Park and the town centre. We drove into town for dinner, however there is a shuttle service and it is definitely walkable if you would prefer. Room was spacious and the amenities were great. Evening cookies and coffee in the lobby were a great addition. We will definitely return.
We stayed here for three nights. It is a nice, clean hotel. The free breakfast is the same as any other hotel breakfast. Nothing fancy but it is ok. The front desk staff were friendly. I paid for the hotel with air miles so it was “free” to us but when I went to check to add a night the price was higher than I would have paid to stay there. While it is nice and clean and good location it is not worth the $300-$400+ Canadian they were asking
Our Amtrak train arrived almost 2 hours late but the hotel shuttle was already at the station, waiting for us with cold water bottles. The driver gave us a quick tour/introduction to various Whitefish restaurants on our way to the hotel. Check-in was prompt. Our room was very spacious for a family of 4, very clean and comfortable too. It is very classy for the hotel to offer free self-laundry facilities. The machines are new and like everything else, super clean. Break fast was very delicious. Staying at the Best Western Rocky Mountain Lodge was refreshing after 3 days on the train, and prepared us well for a week in Glacier. I loved our stay here and highly recommended Best Western Rocky Lodge.
Family stayed here for several nights while on vacation visiting Glacier National Park. Convenient location to west gate, about 1/2 hour. Just a few minutes to downtown Whitefish with plenty of restaurant options. Clean, comfortable rooms. Very friendly staff. Breakfast begins at 6:30 so you can get a early start to the park.
great location before heading to Glacier NP. three minutes to Whitefish. great staff and excellent breakfast makes this an ideal stop. super clean and quiet. everything is close by for your convenience.
Hotel is on main highway and easy to access from Kalispell airport and Glacier National Park. Our room was very roomy, clean and modern with a couch and chair, fireplace, microwave, refrig, large bath with whirlpool tub, and roomy sleep area with many areas to sit luggage. It had an adjoining room to it for larger families. Price was higher than most Best Westerns, but moderate range for this area during the summer. Highly recommend
Pluses: convenient to Glacier National Park, free laundry (washer/dryer), courteousness of staff Minuses: parking (only one space for handicapped), congested entry to hotel, and breakfast was more basic than lower priced chain hotels
Stayed here as a base camp for our trip to Glacier. We had a king suite and there was more than enough space. We were right by the elevator and I was nervous about noise in the hallway but the whole week we were there we never heard a peep. A/C unit was quite and efficient and we even needed the heat on a few times as it got cold in Whitefish during our stay. Breakfast was well stocked and had warm food options. The staff was incredibly friendly, always helping us find things to do in Whitefish during our evenings away from the park. One of the employees worked at the local food bank and was very helpful in taking all of our hiking snacks and granola bars that we had leftover on our last day.The hotel itself is right by the highway but still very quiet. There is a shuttle to downtown whitefish but it's only a 15 minute walk.
Expensive for a BW but excellent location for Glacier National Park. Modern well appointed rooms, good included breakfast. It's 5 min drive from downtown but a free shuttle is provided if requested. Surprisingly no in room safe.
This hotel was my family's home base during our week-long visit to Glacier National Park. The drive from the hotel to Glacier was about 45 min, but it was easy and scenic, and it passes by the cute downtown of Columbia Falls, which has a farmer's market Thurs nights and a great pizza spot. We loved the hotel's proximity to downtown Whitefish, which is full of charming/upscale shops and restaurants and is fun to explore if you want to take a day off from trekking to the park. We spent most days in the park then returned home to eat dinner in the Whitefish area. The value for the hotel rate was excellent, especially given the free breakfast, and the room was quiet, adequately sized and tastefully decorated with photographs of the Flathead area (the bathroom was a little small and generic, but clean). What stood out most was the friendliness of the staff--each staff member we encountered went above and beyond to be helpful and make us feel welcome.
The downside to this nice place is the price. Everything else was fine, including the location close to GNP and local stores. We were on the third floor - quiet and clean. Parking convenient to elevator.
On our bucket list trip of Canadian Rockies n glacier nat'l park. Stayed at best western in whitefish. Great staff with helpful information on local restaurants n downtown shopping. Cute town with plenty of services to choose from. Hotel is right off 93 n very convenient. Comfortable clean beds n bathroom. Nice oversized room with sitting area. Great cookies at check in n great variety of food for breakfast. You can count on this BW.
LOVED everything about Whitefish except our hotel. Best Western Rocky Mountain Lodge is outdated and overpriced. Location is ok but rooms and bathrooms although clean and adequate are living in the 90's. Only one small slow elevator to service the entire hotel. For the price they charged us I would look around before settling on this choice. My expectations were higher based on reviews we had read. This was our first trip to Whitefish and so I relied on other readers. Next time we come I will do a little more research on hotels. Great food, great art galleries, close to Glacier, wonderful down town area.
Visiting Glacier National Park was a "bucket list" trip for us. Everyone at the Best Western was welcoming, warm, friendly, courteous, helpful! Hotel was very clean, comfortable, quiet - breakfast (especially the Montana breads) was very good. This hotel helped make our trip a great one! Thank you to all!
We're on day 4 of a 15-day road trip through the NW. By now, we had already created 2 loads of laundry. : ( Besides being quiet and clean, great location off of 93 on the way into downtown Whitefish, this hotel has free laundry! 2 washers and 2 dryers are on the 3rd floor. My kids and husband are at the pool (after a morning of hiking and mountain biking off Lion trail head) as I sit here doing laundry with my laptop writing this review. (It's okay - I appreciate the solitude after being in a car with them for 4 days). Last night, the hotel was full and we didn't hear a thing from any of our neighbors. Breakfast and wifi are included. Just a great resting spot/ jumping off point to visit all of the parks and lakes in this beautiful part of the country.
This is a great choice if you are visiting Glacier National Park and the surrounding area. We stayed here for eight perfectly splendid nights. We arrived a bit earlier than the usual check-in time. However, Justin at the front desk was able to get in touch with housekeeping and get our room ready. The room was recently renovated, and I could still smell fresh paint and wallpaper paste in the hallways. Our room was large and the king bed very comfortable. Our room was kept very clean by the staff and toiletries, towels and supplies for the coffee maker were replenished each day. The hotel serves a full breakfast every day. There were plenty of hot and cold options. The are different egg dishes each day and I counted three. There is also bacon or sausage as well. The breakfast room is very large so they can accommodate a lot of guests at one time. The breakfast area was constantly being attended to by staff who refilled items as needed and kept it very clean. There is also water and hot coffee in the lobby at all times. The location is excellent. It's not a long drive from the airport and Whitefish offers plenty of places to eat. The main entrance to the park is around a 30 minute drive but this hotel is really your best bet. Unless you prefer to stay in RV park or a mom and pop hotel closer to the park, stay here. I cannot say enough about the staff. Everyone we encountered here was very nice and professional. Justin and Kristie at the front desk were extremely helpful and informative with local food recommendations as well as suggestions on exploring the park and the surrounding area. The hotel offers a free shuttle van to downtown which is a nice touch especially if you want a few drinks and don't want to drive. Even the laundry machines on the third floor were free and detergent only $1 from a vending machine in the same room. There is plenty of parking here and we never had a problem finding a spot even late at night. The hotel even has a decent sized outdoor pool. I can't say enough about this place except for stay here if you decide to visit the area. You will encounter a first-class operation with a first-class staff. Well done, Best Western. Tim and Roxanne hope to see you again next year!
I like the lobby, spacious, comfortable corner room. The option to trade no room visits for cleaning for points- green and logical. The location is close to town but requires car for downtown. Cost are substantial this time of year.
Friendly staff, comfy rooms and beds, laundry facilities and a wonderful complimentary breakfast made us want to stay here longer. It is a 1/2 mile walk to a very nice old town. We would definitely stay here again.
Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a good variety of the usual....apples oranges and bananas, muffins, cereal, pancake and waffle makers, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, toast, begals, English muffins, scrambles eggs with a hashbrowns/crumbled sausage mix one morning, next morning was omelette and sausages. Juice, coffee, tea. Outdoor pool was great. Clean. Hottub was spacious, it connected to cool pool, so easy for the kids to jump back and forth. Was fun for team stay here! I would definitly book here again
Very friendly and helpful staff. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast had lots of choices and lots of room in the breakfast area. Only a short ride to West entrance of Glacier National Park. There were coffee and cookies every afternoon when we came in from the park. Highly recommend this establishment
We hadn't planned on staying in Whitefish when we organised our road trip but we had to change things around due to the wildfires in Glacier NP and so decided to have one night here. We were upgraded to a suite which was huge. Good breakfast and very helpful staff.
My son and I made reservations to stay here for a couple of days. Let me tell you how much we enjoyed our stay. When we checked in on the Friday the people at the front were very helpful and friendly. Very welcoming area when you walk in. There is coffee water etc. waiting for you. The cookies were pretty good too. The room we had on the third floor was very large with a fireplace and a couch with hid away bed. Very nice and roomy for us. Nice little area for the microwave and fridge. The King size bed was very comfy as were the pillows. We even had a jetted tub! I have to say that one of the best things we found was that the hotel offers shuttle service to downtown to the restaurant and bar section of town. I have to give a thank you to Chris who does the shuttle. He was fantastic and knew everything about the area for us to see and eat at! He really made our trip enjoyable as I haven't been to Whitefish in some time. They also have a very nice pool and hot tub. Lots of fun talking with other guests. I cant wait to go back for another weekend trip. My thanks to Weston and Mary and their team for going out of their way to make sure the we and the other people that were there enjoyed their visit. Forgot to mention the breakfast was pretty good too with a nice variety of items. The breakfast area is very nice with lots of room. lots of easy parking. You can spend more money but I wouldn't hesitate to go back or recommend this hotel. One more thing, if you are using a Garmin GPS to find the address you will end up way out of town on the highway like we did. Just stay on the highway into town and you will drive right to the hotel. Its across from the McDonald's down from the Safeway gas station.
First, when we booked our room, the staff member asked if it would be our first time. Being yes, he said "let me be the first to welcome you!! " We thought that was very thoughtful and a nice greeting -- something to look forward to. The hotel is very nice and comfortable. Being easy to find, it is a great location. The staff did not disappoint us -- we found them all awesome, super friendly and helpful -- a real pleasure to stay there. The rooms are comfortable, clean and quiet. We stayed by the elevator and found no problems with noise. The mattress and pillows are real comfy and offer a spectacular rest. A Continental breakfast in the spacious eating area is a good way to start your day. As you may expect the staff is very friendly and keep everything well stocked. Their smiling faces just add to the experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone of my friends without hesitation.
We arrived early off the Empire Builder train, The little town of Whitefish just getting started for the day. The station attendant told us there was a shuttle bus from the hotel and gave them a ring for us. Within 10 minutes Stuart was down to pick us up. We were able to check in early by the friendly staff. And was told breakfast was still being served , so help ourselves. The room was clean and huge with two king size beds, we only used one. The breakfasts were great with a choice of cereal, toast, hot menu, self made pancakes or waffles. all freshly made. The staff at the reception were only too helpful to answer questions about the hotel or the surrounding area. On the second morning we wanted to hire a car, but had trouble online, we went and asked the lads at reception and they got a car hire company to come down and pick us up, and within an hour we were off to the beautiful Glacier Park. We had a lovely day beautiful blue sky all down to the boys at the hotel. We had to buy a 7 day ticket for the park, so let the boys have the remaining 6 days when we got back, they couldn't have been more pleased. Yes this hotel is a gem in the mountains of Montana, but please don't tell everybody. We want to go back again.
All of the rooms interiors are brand new, beautiful and super comfortable. The staff are all very friendly and super helpful. the breakfast staff keep everything filled and very clean. Loved the afternoon fresh cookies too. Stayed 2 nights, great location. Highly recommend!!
The staff made this trip great. Wonderful people. Im not sure why people said the breakfast was great. The woman that worked the food station was wonderful Hey people don't forget to tip her!!! All the staff were very nice and helpful. The rooms are clean and what you would expect from best western
Best Western booked us into a King suite, what a wonderful surprise, this room was huge and very comfortable with everything we needed. The staff was friendly and the fresh baked cookies certainly helped welcome us at check in. Breakfast was fantastic!
Everything is above expectations. It was our family vacation. The front desk staff were very helpful in guiding us for sightseeing places and hiking trails. Breakfast was one of the best ones I have had in Best Western. We also enjoyed the outdoor swimming poor and hot tub. Will stay there again. Highly recommended.
We always stay here when we go to Glacier. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have an awesome breakfast with all kinds of goodies. They don't even charge you for laundry it's complimentary. They are pet friendly. They even had a treat for our dog. If you're coming to the area, check them out.
The Rocky Mountain best Western was very enjoyable and convenient for us. We liked the long rack for hanging our wet ski clothes, the quick hot water for after ski showers and the TV that worked easily. It is a short drive to the Whitefish Mountain Resort and also one of the stops for the snow bus if you want to leave your vehicle at the Lodge. The breakfast was excellent and really set us up for a day of skiing. We'd stay there again for sure.
Great location across from mall with ski shop for inexpensive rentals, The snow bus stops at the hotel. The breakfast is also top notch. They have a shuttle to and from the airport and to town if you need to go. The staff is excellent, my experience with Kristie, and Austin, and the other front desk member was very rewarding. They were very professional, polite and always willing to talk with you and assist you, I definitely give them an A+++++++++++++.
Great location, great room and only about 10 minutes up to the ski hill. Outside hot tub and a view of the mountain from the balcony. The breakfast that's included was the perfect way to start each day off right!
Very good value. Only minutes to downtown. About 20 minutes to the ski hill. There are shuttles to get you to both destinations. Outdoor hot tub and pool. Rooms are comfortable and well appointed. The free breakfast is decent. The staff were very friendly and knowledgable. I travel for a living, and this hotel does the trick for an on budget great stay.
Absolutely top notch. Kristy (the front counter person) was a "poster child" for a great receptionist. She could not have been friendlier or more helpful. Room was exceptionally clean and quiet. Did not have the breakfast so cannot comment. A very pleasant experience and will definitely stay here again.
The Rocky Mountain Lodge provided great accommodations in Whitefish. We were there for a ski race at Whitefish. The staff was super friendly, The hotel is close to the ski area as well as the downtown. The Hotel was clean. The breakfast was good, it had a variety of items to eat. The price was affordable for a resort town.
Hotel was great for our needs. Neat, clean and affordable as we had a group rate! We asked for a ground floor which they provided. Room was spacious with high ceilings. Love that. Coffee was always available in the lobby and breakfast times were very accommodating as well. The front desk was amazing as I travel quite a bit and they knew how to look up at the customer rather than being on their computer or looking down and acknowledge you as a person when you walked in. Good Job.
This is the best hotel we've stayed at yet with our hockey team. Very accommodating, friendly, knowledgeable, great breakfast, great outdoor pool, great décor, well maintained and pet friendly. All of this for a great price!
All staff were friendly and helpful. Shuttle service is a great amenity, as walk to town is just a bit far. Convenient to supermarkets, and nearby bowling alley bar/food was surprisingly good. Breakfast was reasonable. We had no problems and enjoyed our stay very much. Good pricing, too.
Super comfortable beds, shuttle service to downtown, easy location for day trips. Pool is year round, heated outdoors, which makes it fun for family/kids. Downtown is only a mile walk, so you can either use the shuttle or walk there. Lots of great restaurants/bars downtown.
HavingNg stayed in many motels/hotels while traveling to watch our daughter compete in sporting events, this was by far the best place we hav3 stayed. It is evident that the construction was not completed on the cheap side. Walls are thick as well as the doors. If there were people in the next room, it was not evident. Updates keep this hotel modern. The in house breakfast area is roomy and clean. Every staff member was friendly and eager to help if needed.
First off, the front desk staff are very friendly. On our most recent trip, we treated ourselves to a King/Fireplace Suite. A Lovely large room that includes a sitting area with a comfy large chair, a double width sofa ( that converts to a sofa bed if you need it), a big screen TV over the gas fireplace, and a small bar fridge. The room was clean and the bed comfortable (I did find the mattress a little firm compared to my bed at home but I did not wake up with stiff hips or back so all was good). I would give it 5 stars if the surrounding location was a little nicer. My only complaint is the Hot Pool... It is mildly hot but, none of the jets work so, you are basically just sitting in a large pool. Very disappointing.
complimentary vehicle transportation from train station and airport, also drop off and pick up downtown, free breakfast, utensils, fruit, coffee and tea 24/7, two grocery stores within walking distance, trail along river within walking distance, friendly staff: Andrea, Doug, Stephanie and Chris, complimentary laundry, laundry soap for sale, vending machines, fitness center, pool, clean hotel including room with no funny smells
In Whitefish for hockey tournament and Andrea was great at accommodating us for a team dinner. She also had fun with the whole team and parents. Great town, tones to keep us occupied. Will come back again for sure.
Absolutely lovely and very nice!!!! Couldn't ask for a better stay. Everyone and everything was so clean, very professional, and staff super friendly and kind hearted. Excellect breakfast and complimentary snacks??
We did a two week trip to Wyoming/Montana. Staying at a different hotel each night. This was by far the best hotel. Convenient location, clean, modern hotel. Rooms and bed were clean, comfortable and price was reasonable. Hotel had 2 washers and dryer that were free for guests, which was convenient and greatly appreciated. Breakfast was wonderful; lots of choices and huge dining area. Free shuttle service, took us downtown and didn't need to worry about driving after a few alcoholic drinks. Front desk staff and shuttle van driver were so nice and helpful.
Great stay for us, it was a little further from downtown than we expected, but the staff was great and took very good care of us. The smoke in the area made things a little tougher, but all in all it was a great experience. Good breakfast, very clean.
The staff was very friendly and the hotel was very clean. Our room was comfortable and simple. Not much of a view to mention (back parking lot) but again it was clean and the price wasn't bad. Breakfast in the morning was good and we would definitely stay here again.
Comfortable room. Good breakfast. Could use some choices outside of the carbohydrate family though (thats my personal choice). Good customer service at the front desk. Great for a quick stop over or an extended stay.
The hotel east a very nice one. The staff was quite caring and friendly . our room was nice and quiet, very clean and as dumb as it sounds, the housekeeper really knows how to make a bed. So worth the money for this stay.
We stayed here while visiting Glacier National Park. It was in a good location for what we were doing. When we checked in the person at the front desk was very nice and helpful. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was also very good and the person that did the breakfast kept everything clean and the food trays full.
The staff at this hotel are so nice. I was so busy the day prior to my trip and forgot to make shuttle arrangements. When I got to Kalispell, I took a chance and called the hotel and they were able to come and get me. Later, the shuttle also took me to downtown Whitefish for dinner and gave me a great recommendation for dinner. check out was 11:00 but I wasn't being picked up until 2:00 and they offered me a late check out or to hang out in the lobby to wait for my ride. The whole hotel was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel is also in a great location and there are sidewalks everywhere. I went for a walk one morning and it was great!
I would recommend this lodge for several reasons. The staff were very helpful. The young lady that checked us in gave us a map to help navigate the city of Whitefish and information about the trails to hike that were close by. The pool was nice after a day of hiking. The breakfasts were great. They were a little different every day. They provided a little something for every taste. Lots of fresh fruit. They even had fresh huckleberries. In the evening they had cookies for a snack. The only thing that I would like to see changed is to cover the pool. The pool was somewhat heated but it was kind of cold when you got out. I also liked the recycling that they did.
This is a wonderful hotel and is decently priced for a busy tourist town. Our room was spacious and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. Their free breakfast buffet is a step above the usual. There are a lot options.
This was my first stay in Whitefish and the hotel was lovely. The front staff was very friendly and helpful. My room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfy, No HBO available. Room was quiet and comfortable.
When was the last time hotel staff called you to return a forgotten item? Rocky Mountain Lodge did. Front desk person not only courteously answers limitless questions on visiting Glacier NP but also volunteers at food bank. Check. Clean, comfortable, spacious rooms. Check. Meticulously maintained grass and landscaping. Check. Complimentary breakfast. Check.
We had stayed here before, and were looking for a pleasant stay. The trin was late, but we had no trouble checking in. I expected the night auditor to be a little grouchy, but we were greeted by a cheerful lady that quickly checked us in and made sure we knew where everything was located. She reminded us of the free breakfast and directed us to our room. We found a clean, comfortable room with all the expected. The bed was exceptional, and once my head hit the pillow, I was out.Wefound all necessary items in the bathroom, the shower was warm and the towels large and soft.we enjoyed the breakfast, many choices of food. The items were kept at a reasonable supply and the quality was excelent. We will returm
We knew from our pre-trip communications the staff here would be super friendly and helpful and they were. Our room was very large and clean, the breakfasts plentiful and filling. The only negative was the noise from other rooms, especially the one above us. It wasn't a huge problem since they, like us, were early risers but we could hear every step they took. We would stay here again.
A group of three of us were on a Montana wilderness adventure 22 miles on horseback into the Bob Marshall Wilderness fishing. After five days in the Bob we bedded down at the Rocky Mountain Lodge in Whitefish. Really needed a good hot shower and comfortable bed. We found everything about this property to be excellent. Customer friendly employees, clean and spacious accommodations, convenient location, etc. Everything about this property was excellent and I can highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Whitefish area. Our thanks to all who made our stay as good as it was!
Very nice Hotel about 25 miles from the West park entrance. Really nice and helpful staff. A little expensive but still a very nice place. Fire in the park closed the Sun Highway so better check to make sure the fires are under control before you go.
We stayed in Whitefish on our last night visiting Glacier National Park because we had a crazy early flight back east. What a great experience. The woman at check-in (can't remember here name but it was 8/31/18 around 8 p.m.) was super helpful giving us information on where to find a pharmacy and the best places to eat for dinner. She also offered us a to-go breakfast since we were leaving at 4:15 am to catch our flight. Our dinner was fantastic (her #1 recommendation of Tupelo Grille) and our to-go breakfast was much more that we expected (bagel, cream cheese, granola bar, banana and apple). The rooms were VERY nice and CLEAN. Everything seemed brand new. Really great experience.
The very first thing we noticed was how nice the young man was that checked us in he was very helpful and acted interested in everything we said. The room was very nice and quiet and the bed was very comfortable. The one thing we had trouble with is the TV kept cutting out and so did the WIFI. Other than that we would stay there again. it right on the hwy before you get to town, so if the town gets crazy you are far enough away. There is a safeway and Starbucks very close..
Stayed here with a tour group and was impressed. The hotel was clean, the breakfast was good, and we slept well. It was not close to many eating places was the only downside for us. I would stay again.
We stayed for three days during our visit to Glacier Park in August 2018. The rooms were great. They were spacious, clean and updated. The staff was efficient and courteous. The exercise room was minimal. he hot tub was huge but didn't have jets that provided very much flow. We didn't try the pool but it looked adequate. The free breakfast was adequate with lots of choices. The location is about 30 minutes or so to the park and very convenient to downtown Whitefish which is a jewel. There are lots of shops, restaurants, pubs and a wonderful lake.
Arrived from Kalispell airport on way to Glacier. Very convenient (not far at all to park) and reasonably priced plus good breakfast. Friendly lobby service and good night sleep. Recommended as good lower cost alternative to pricey hotels closer to the park.
Close to downtown and to lots of golf and mountain activities Breakfast was good Staff friendly and helpful WIFI better than most Safe- parking monitored with camera Nice pool and hot tub (outdoor) unfortunate hot tub was not operational during our stay
Everything was great at this hotel. The place was clean, the staff were kind and attentive, breakfast was good, convenient location, and parking was easy to find. The staff pays attention to the small details of one's stay, which I appreciate.
This might have been the most immaculately kept hotel I've ever been in. The bed was THE MOST COMFORTABLE I've ever slept in. I don't usually use superlatives like this, but I have to say that this place was top-notch. The staff was friendly, patient, and helpful. The breakfast bar was standard but very well stocked. The pool was delightful during the heat wave. Ultra quiet location.
Whitefish is a resort area, so expect lodging prices to reflect this. Saying that, staying at this property was an extremely enjoyable experience. The outdoor pool is a bit bigger than hotel pools that are being built now. It was well cared for and enjoyable. I was pleasantly surprised to find access to some breakfast foods outside of breakfast serving hours. When I said something about this to the Front Office Manager, he smiled and said, well, you paid for it. The employees were very nice, especially a maintenance person whose name I didn't get and Weston Harries, the Front Office Manager. Even with a bus tour's presence during our stay, I had no problems accessing anyone or anything. Thumbs up.
Great location 30 mins from one of the Glacier entrances. The staff is incredibly friendly and the hotel is environmentally conscious, which is a big perk for me. There's also plenty of cute little downtown areas in the surrounding towns. I definitely plan to return to this location.
Very nice newer hotel. The staff is very friendly, the hotel provides a welcome cookie when you check in, our room was spacious, clean, quiet and the beds comfortable. As Whitefish is near Glacier National Park, they had a pad of very large maps of the park. As we left before breakfast started, I can not tell you about breakfast except the staff let me have a couple yogurts for my husband and myself.
I admit that I am a bit of a hotel snob and I like my Marriotts and Hiltons, but during our visit to Glacier, I chose this BW based on the TA reviews and I was not disappointed! Our King suite was a very pleasant surprise...large, obviously recently renovated, very clean and very comfortable. The staff were all friendly and quite helpful, especially Weston, who provided some great dinner recommendations. We chose to go out for breakfast as we were a bit underwhelmed with breakfast options, but that is also because we love going out for a later brunch. However the cookies in the evening were a nice treat :) We were also happy with the location in relation to the park and the cute downtown. All in all, we will definitely come back here again if/when we return to Whitefish!
Stayed in this hotel in whitefish,to me this hotel is first class.very friendly people, who assisted us with where to go and what see in the town.also used the hotels shuttle bus to save the hassle of parking in the town.
Very nice accommodations with comfortable beds, great breakfast and nice pool and hot tub. We stayed at the start of our family vacation and we're greeted with cookies and smiles. The staff appeared to take pride in their work making us feel extremely welcome.
This hotel has a great location right off the highway, with a backstreet access to the downtown area. Whitefish and this hotel are A-1. Heated pool and supersize jacuzzi spa were a surprise. Wish we could have stayed a week!
Very nice hotel, comfortable beds, clean rooms, friendly staff. Dog friendly for those who want to bring a K9 friend. Next to the golf course and within walking distance to town and restaurants. Beautiful setting among the trees and greens.
We stayed here for 5 days while visiting Glacier National Park. It's about half hour ride to the park entrance depending on the time and about 1 mile to downtown which is a nice walk. It's also close to a few fast food restaurants and there are numerous restaurants in the downtown area. Our room was clean and the beds and pillows super comfortable. The breakfast had a good selection of items daily and the staff at breakfast and at the front desk were professional and helpful. There was also a free guest laundry at this hotel. The pool at this hotel is outside. I recommend this hotel for travel or business.
I cannot say enough good things about this hotel and my experience. The inside lobby and rooms are decorated with pics from Glacier. The breakfast was best the second day when they had bacon and fried eggs. The 1st day the eggs were soggy and sausage was not so good. The staff were great and friendly. They made great recommendations for lunch/dinner downtown and let us know about the free kayaks at the Pine Lodge we could use. We kayaked down the river to the lake and swam a bit. It is about 1 mile from downtown and about 20-30 min from the park. We loved it and wish we could have stayed longer. It was a good way to end a 13 day trip!
Nice big clean room, breakfast was different every morning, person at front desk even made sure coffee was not enough for me at a very early hour and everyone was very informative, would definitely stay again
Love the best western here, it is everything you would expect, friendly, spacious and clean. We travelled with an 18 month old and our room was a great size, we had a crib and the room had a microwave and fridge. They serve breakfast and offer a great selection and were really helpful as our little one has food allergies and provided diary free alternatives. Highly recommend!
Always a 5 from me for this lodge. Stay here whenever we're in the area! Always friendly, helpful staff...at the desk on Friday, July 13th....can't remember her name...so helpful and pleasant. Clean, cool room (air actually worked well), comfy beds, good shower, good lighting (vanity too). TV was very good. Full, hot breakfast was--as always--amazing, with Jill and can't remember her name! On task, friendly, and helpful! So much variety with clean tables and surroundings! Bravo again Best Western Rocky Mountain Lodge!
Keeping up the BW standard this hotel was fabulous. Cookies at checkin, coffee & readily available in the foyer. Room was comfortable and well appointed. Staff gave us great tips for dinner, and the free breakfast was fabulous. Would stay here again!
Our family booked 3 rooms here and we were so pleased with the friendly and helpful staff who guided us with maps, restaurant recommendations, activities, local happenings, 24/7 coffee, and cookies. Although we drove the pleasant drive to Glacier National, we walked the 1 mile to Whitefish downtown for a variety of activities every day. The loaner sports equipment from the sister hotel was an additional bonus. Our rooms were spacious and clean and we all agreed that we would stay here again. Thanks !
Very nice lodging with a friendly staff. The room was nice sized with a small fridge. The free breakfast was very good with eggs, waffles, bacon or sausage and all the other normal things. As my title says we easily got to West Glacier entrance in 30 minutes. You're only 5 minutes from downtown Whitefish and they have a shuttle if you wish. I've nothing bad at all I could say.
We recently spent 2 nights here at the beginning of our Glacier National Park trip and were very pleased. It is a great location to the west side of GNP if not staying within the park. The employees were very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and clean with comfy beds. Continental breakfast was more than sufficient to get us started for a busy day of hiking and sightseeing. Only about a 40 minute drive to the park. We will definitely return the next time we are in the area. A great value!
We used this hotel as our base of operations for our visit to Glacier and the local Whitefish area. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. The free breakfast in the morning had many selections and helps you save money. You can also do your laundry for free in the hotel laundry room, The ride to West Glacier was about 30 minutes, to the Whitefish Mountain Resort was about 10 minutes, and one mile to downtown where the eating establishments are located.
Room was big and roomy. Staff not friendly. Bathroom small but clean. Water was hot with good pressure. wifi was ok. Breakfast was good and plenty with the friendliest lady in the hotel. The pool was large and clean. The hot tub is huge and cl;ean but the jets are weak.
We only stayed here for one night but were made to feel very welcome when we arrived. It's a little out of town but very clean with a pool out the back. Lobby was very nice and there is a large breakfast room with very friendly staff and a good range of breakfast items. We had a king room which was very clean and had the usual coffee facilities and a fridge. Would definitely recommend for a stay in Whitefish.
My room was exceptional clean and comfortable. The room was also very quiet and my sleep was not disturbed at all even there were a lot of children in the hotel as well as dogs. I did not use the pool but could see that families with children had a lot of fun there. The hotel is very pet friendly, lots of four legged travelers seen. I was impressed that employees can bring their dogs to work, for pet friends surely a wonderful place to stay. Breakfast was very good too.The only reason I only give 4 stars is that for people who want to be outside for a moment no possibilities to sit down were found. I would have appreciated to sit on a bank or chair while having a coffee.
The theme and decorations are cute and apply to the area. The rooms have carpet, which is always comfy. The staff seemed nice and friendly. There is a big breakfast room and the breakfast is average for a hotel breakfast. There was always coffee, including decaf, available throughout the day. There was only one elevator but we never waited too long for it. I was surprised but the hotel is right off a relatively busy road. Because of this, there is not much to easily walk to but we did walk to a bowling alley nearby. We easily drove to Flathead Lake, Kerr Damn in Polson, Glacier National Park, downtown Kalispell, and downtown Whitefish from this convenient location.
We enjoyed our three days at the Best Western Rocky Mountain Lodge. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. The lobby was quite inviting and the seating was quite comfortable. The staff at the hotel desk were quite friendly and eager to provide information about the area. Our favorite honorary staff member was "Ben" a Labrador mix that was adorable. This is a good base for exploring Glacier National Park and the greater Whitefish Montana area. The hot breakfast was also very good..Don't hesitate to book this!
dried myself with bloody towel after a shower on my first night there. told management who did nothing about it and didn't return any calls. won't stay here again and suggest you pass as well. lots of other nice hotels there.
This was our second stay in this hotel and we would definitely stay there again. It was going through major renovation when we stayed there at the end of May. However, nice upgrade to a suite and outstanding service fully made it up for tan inconvenience of a construction work. We got great suite with a fireplace, Jacuzzi and very comfortable bed. Front desk person was very helpful and gave us information regarding park's road condition and recommendations where to go to see wild life. There breakfast was fine.
This hotel had an extensive renovation that was recently completed. It was comfortable and really well-done. The breakfast included was a hot full breakfast that was better than most. The staff was particularly friendly and very helpful in making suggestions around restaurants and places to visit.
Four nights in mid June at this outstanding Best Western complimented adventures in nearby Glacier Park and the Flathead Valley. This is a spotless, extremely comfortable and very well run hotel with excellent reception staff and service team members. Its the extras that help make it stand out - four quarters are sufficient to access a well equipped laundry service on the third floor between 8am and 10pm - a 'Hog Wash' for motorcyclists to clean their machines, - a very efficient breakfast team operating from 6.30 am and complimentary parking on three sides of the building. Thanks to everyone involved in providing an outstanding four night stay. No complaints, or even a hint of a complaint, about anything.
During our trip to Glacier, we stayed 3 nights at the Best Western in Whitefish and had no complaints at all. Besides all the standard amenities listed, they also had free washers and dryers and fresh baked cookies each day. Now I know a lot of hotels offer cookies, but this hotel had each cookie wrapped in a small paper bag labeled with the type of cookie inside - very nice presentation. Being so close to Whitefish was an added bonus - what a great town to shop or eat in.
This hotel is a little way from the Whitefish center perhaps a mile or so. Thoughtfully they run a free hourly shuttle bus on request which is very useful if you like a drink with your meal. The hotel itself is really very nice and at a good standard with a pretty good breakfast as well. We stayed for 3 nights. It is relitively close to the west entrance to Glacier National Park, about 25 miles took us a little over half an hour and was straightforward. If your hoping to visit the National Park this month (June) it looked like the “going to the sun road” is closed probably till July.
We booked 1 night at this hotel so we could catch a train early the next morning. I was very pleased with the whole experience; cleanliness, staff, room, bed, breakfast buffet and pool. Everything was new, clean and fresh, even the pool and huge hot tub (full length of the pool). The only reason I didn't give it excellent was due to road noise. I suggest requesting a room on the back side away from the road. Otherwise I throughly enjoyed my stay.
Excellent place to stay. Clerk was extremely helpful with area information. Breakfast was great. Hotel is undergoing remodeling yet we were not affected in any way. Hotel was very clean and quiet. Would definately recommend.
The hotel was going through major renovations when we were there. The staff were friendly. Our room could have been a little cleaner (our remote was covered in jam, and was in a little sock that said it had been cleaned). Our bathroom sink didn't drain very well. The Continental breakfast was average. But it was nice and quiet considering all the construction going on. Granted, we are only there during the night time. Overall, it was worth the money. It's going to look great when it's all done!
Very nice to us. Traveled by Amtrak. Picked us up at the train station. Next day they took us to the airport. Cabs in Whitefish are hard to find. Never saw one. At least in May the price was under $100 so very fair. A good breakfast offered. Stayed two different nights, the first we had connecting rooms which can cause some sound issues. You can walk to the Safeway, about a block away. That was good since we picked up our car at the airport.
I must confess that my review is partly coloured by the excellent price we were able to get our room, but despite that this was an excellent stay. Our room was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The receptionist and the staff in general were welcoming and helpful. The breakfast room is also spacious and the variety and quality of the food is excellent. I just wish we could take this motel and the beautiful little town of Whitefish further on our travels.
My family & I were taking a road trip from Ks, on to Co., Wyoming, & then to Whitefish, MT. Out of all the hotels we stayed at Best Western was the best. We stayed at Quality Inn, & The LaQuinta, & no comparison to BW. The front desk help was very nice. There was construction going on, but still better than what we stayed in elsewhere. The bathrooms were updated with no mold stains anywhere. The floors were so clean I didn't wear shoes in the room. New carpet smell, vanity was very nice. The beds were comfortable & sheets were clean. The tv & WiFi were nice & easy to access. McDonald's & DQ we're right next door too. The breakfast ladies were awesome! They communicated & very nice. The breakfast area was very clean & a lot to pick from. The heated pool was nice, just needed a bit more cleaning on the bottom, however, it wasn't in season yet either. I really enjoyed the free laundry machines to use too. I've never had that! If they could put one of those rolling baskets to hang clothes it would be great. The nice open entrance was beautiful too! Definitely coming back to this place.
My husband and I are traveling the USA and I must admit: this is one of the best hotels we stayed in. It started with a very very welcoming attitude from the front desk staff Cristy and Wes and continued with the beautiful and clean room we had (a suite ), the clean and good breakfast and the friendly and efficient staff in brakfast room. The hotel goes renovations but it didn't influence our stay at all. When we will be back in the area, we are sure going to stay here again (already recommended it to family and friends who come to Glacier Park)
This hotel stay far exceeded our expectations. The price was reasonable, the amenities were luxurious, the staff extremely accommodating and friendly, and the shuttle service to downtown Whitefish and to the Amtrak station was prompt and amenable!
Everything was wonderful. The gentleman that checked us in was polite and helpful, the room clean and comfortable and the pool was lovely. I really liked this place, it was absolutely beautiful. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
The bed was awesome - slept great there! We brought our dogs and stayed in a room that allowed dogs. A lot of times these rooms smell/have dirty carpeting. This was not the case at the BW Mountain Lodge in Whitefish MT - it was clean and comfortable.
nice rooms, fair price, comfy bed. clean and friendly. breakfast was good with a very nice area to eat with plenty of room. this hotel is right off the highway coming into whitefish so easy in and out. would stay here again.
My trip began on Amtrak out of Everret WA going to Chicago. Due to a medical emergency, I had to get off the train in Whitefish MT. Once released from the ER, I was transported to the Rocky Mountian Lodge as it was recommended. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the lodge was nice as well. I did have problems with the TV, but they had it fixed immediately. The free breakfast was a feast, everything you could image. Rooms were spotless. 3 days later I was ready to drive back to Everett, the staff helped coordinate my car with Enterprise. Yes I would recommend this hotel.
Renovation is occurring, but doesn't affect the stay - Rooms are recently remodeled - Front Desk folk were accommodating and knowledgeable - Breakfast was excellent - Room was spacious and very comfortable - HVAC was unobtrusive - Parking spots out front will only comfortably fit compact cars
Under construction but not a burden on our stay. Bed and pillow very comfortable. Continental breakfast above average. Huge flat screen tv was awesome except that they had the screen ratio stretch and I couldn't fix it with the generic remote control. Bathroom was well lit, for a change. Che beck in staff was kind and considerate. A bit overpriced for April. Will stay there again .
Renovations aside our stay was peaceful, clean and unaffected by the renovations. We had a large spacious suite with all the amenities and the price was fantastic. Our breakfast was quiet but even though they were not very busy the breakfast smorg was delicious.
Nice hotel with great staff, breakfast items could be improved. Bread was stale and eggs were not that tasty. Internet worked well and the hot tub was nice. Great shuttle to the downtown and friendly staff.
Have stayed here several times and will keep going back. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Allows pets which is primary in my book. Great continental breakfast. Polite and friendly staff. Hot tub and pool are the perfect way to end a day. Shuttle service makes our stay perfect every time
Good hotel, quiet, comfortable beds. Free breakfast. Located across from shopping area with movie theatre, sports store, grocery store and other shops. Bus stop for free ski bus to Whitefish ski hill right out the back door. Ski locker, good parking.
The staff were all very friendly, accommodations excellent and clean. We had a room facing the front entryway on the second floor and never noticed any traffic noise. Breakfast was great with waffles and blueberry syrup and bacon. :). I recommend this hotel if you need somewhere to stay in Whitefish.
We are very glad we found this gem for our week-long winter vacation in late January/early February 2018. In fact, it ranks among the best stays we've ever had in our over 20 years of ski trips. We were lucky to have booked our accommodation at Rocky Mountain Best Western Lodge a couple of days before our trip. The hotel, room and facilities were great – comfortable, clean and tidy and had everything we needed. The showers have good pressure and the WiFi was fast on the top floor. The hot breakfast was delicious and complete. We looked forward to it and the friendly service each morning. It gave us the pre-skiing fuel we needed for our big days on the mountain. The outdoor hot tub was just as we hoped for – spacious and hot. The pool temperature was comfortable for doing laps as well. Their service we received from the hotel staff was world-class, friendly and helpful. We appreciated their convenient shuttle service to and from downtown Whitefish in the evenings and from/to the airport in Kalispell on our arrival and departure days. The SNOW Bus stop was right outside the door – just what we needed to get us to and back from the mountain in a timely manner. In summary, we couldn't have asked for a better stay. We felt at home from the moment we arrived until our departure day. The hospitality we received was world-class and very welcoming. We hope to visit this beautiful place again and we are already telling our friends about it – absolutely wonderful!
No issues with this hotel, had a nice stay. Even had some complimentary water in the fridge when we checked in. Staff was friendly and nice to work with. Express checkout made things quick and easy when leaving.
I stayed here last year and was happy as could be. Eight or more of us booked rooms here and had this location as the one central spot for meeting before and after our ski days. From here we chose our nightly eating establishment as well as other outings. We had to replace some ski gear and found a great shop downtown to purchase goggles, gloves, and helmets as well as a few trinkets. I felt like I was home with all the staff at each and every establishment we patronized. There was some hotel upgrades going on while we were there. New carpeting was being installed and there was some other things going on.
A lovely and comfortable hotel with the best and most friendly staff! This is one of the best hotels for customer service we have ever stayed in. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the breakfast options are delicious and plentiful, and the staff are superior.
On a 45th anniversary trip to the West, first booked the historic inn in East Glacier, changed to this and sure glad I did. There is nothing in East Glacier, if you want to eat a reasonable meal or buy something. Whitefish has everything and the price for their nicest 3 room suite was very reasonable and much less than an austere room with no nothing in the Great Lodge. People went out of their way to help, will give directions, plan your day, whatever you need. Our suite with jacuzzi and fireplace was a dream, breakfast very good too.
Hotel is 20 minute walk from downtown or a 2 minute drive. Its about a 15 minute drive to the base of the mountain. There are shuttles going to the mountain and to downtown; the frequency could be increased, but a great service nonetheless
All staff was extremely helpful and continental breakfast was amazing and with different variations every morning. The cost was reasonable for location, New Years weekend and for the quality received!
We stayed 5 days to ski Whitefish MT. During our stay we interacted with different staff at all levels and all were easy to deal with. Everything we asked for or needed was taken care of.Location was close to town center and there was a shuttle service to the ski area.
This motel was simply superb and one of the most accommodating places we have stayed. The staff -so polite-could not do enough for us. Brie (desk clerk) ensured our luggage was stored for us and delivered to the rail station by Rusty who delivered us each night into town and delivered our luggage. The motel is warm, spotless and has an above average breakfast with a changing menu each morning. We were so impressed with our stay...thanks to each of the staff..
The front desk person was efficient, helpful, full of information, and friendly. The room was very clean, very comfortable, and a great decor. The amenities were great, including a full breakfast. An outdoor hot tub added fun in the snow.
very nice hotel, with an outdoor pool and hot tub! fun for kids and adults alike! coffee , tea , and cocoa available 24 hours. beds comfy, internet worked, decor was nice. i would recommend this place.
The front desk staff, kitchen staff, and each of the various employees I had the pleasure of interacting with was helpful and pleasant. The room was clean and the food was good. Will definitely be back.
We are so happy with this cozy warm hotel. Great staff, great breakfast, and close to everything! Their shuttle is great, and their Jacuzzi is always warm. The beds are comfy, and they do have the option of a fireplace suite! We will definitely be back.
Great place for a team stay. Nice breakfast room, good pool and hot tub area. Overall location was decent, close to town and where we needed to be, also walking distance to shops and grocery store. A good place to stay in Whitefish!
Visit this area in conjunction with family visits to Canada. This Hotel was close by the airport. The room was very nice and comfortable. Great location! Food stores, restaurants and entertainment all within walking distance. Great staff. We WILL be back
Had a little difficulty seeing the hotel from the road. It's right on the main drag, so I don't know what my problem was. Checked in without a reservation. We were given an upgrade I believe. The room was terrific. Breakfast area was great, the internet worked well. I can't think of any negatives. Will stay here again
Staff exceptional. Great location. Staff friendly, professional and very accommodating. The facility was very clean and laid out nicely. I will definitely check this facility out if I am I the area again.
This hotel was the best one we stayed at on this particular trip. I thought the decor and outside appearance were great. The staff was superb and the room was great. My only negative was the breakfast bar selection.
Well maintained older structure. Good sized rooms, nice breakfast. Service average. Offers a shuttle to Amtrak station before 11PM. Seems to be Most expensive place in town. Well located on main highway in town.
Had a wonderful 3-night stay here in October 2017 while visiting Whitefish and really have no complaints about the facility, the staff, or the overall experience. In a word---excellent! Definitely the most pet-friendly hotel we ever experienced. All employees that we encountered during our stay were very friendly, courteous, and all seemed genuinely concerned about our satisfaction. As for the facility---a comfortable bed, a good shower, and a nice clean room. Quality and presentation of the breakfast at the hotel was better than expected and was well-maintained by the staff: a decent selection of hot and cold items, good coffee, and tasty fruit juices. And the breakfast room was refreshingly spacious and roomy---unlike many places where you feel cramped and closed-in. From this point forward the Best Western Rocky Mtn Lodge will be our go-to every time we're visiting Whitefish. THANK YOU to the entire staff for the friendly and outstanding service during our recent 3-night stay. We'll be back for sure!
The place where we would head back after day long drives and sight seeing and small treks was Best Western in Whitefish. Yeah this one .. precisely :D Obviously, it was also the place from where we would take off every morning :D To ensure we have everyday full of enthusiasm, full of energy and were all charged up .. there were a few necessities .. - good sleep - a nice relaxing bath - good breakfast So, the quick question would be .. "did we get everything here". A short answer would be - YES :) The location is right on the highway .. enough slots to find a parking for sure .. plenty of places to eat and shop around. Our room was on the ground floor and we slept well .. no disturbance no nothing. It was neat and clean and comfi .. The breakfast is kinda standard everywhere but the best thing (for me) were warm eggs .. usually there are hard boiled ice cold eggs which I am still to get into (given our eating habits of having warm food at least, if not piping hot) .. so I was very happy with the most important meal of the day .. The person in charge of the breakfast was nice .. he made sure that the stock was always up. The lobby was tidy and hot water kept there for tea / coffee was always in plenty :) The staff was super nice and helpful. The only thing which could hurt is buying a bear spray .. which would be $50 and no less (we couldn't find anything of lesser value anywhere) But we got lucky here as well .. a family was carrying one .. just out of the pack .. they were flying out and sold it to us for 20 bucks .. Good for us as we did encounter a bear .. but he (an educated guess with the gender :D) slid away quietly. All in all, a good stay .. given the money vs value of our stay .. no concerns what so ever.
Stayed here one night on a bike trip in Oct, 2017. Could not have enjoyed it more. The property is spotless, is manned by wonderfully friendly staff, has the most comfortable beds ever, and the rooms are larger than average. Breakfast on the 2nd floor with a view to the SE is spectacular, it was the best breakfast room we saw on this trip.
We were supposed to be staying at the sister hotel, but got put here as they are doing a refurbishment. We weren't happy. The Best Western has less amenities and wasn't what we had booked. However, the room was fine and comfy, the bathroom ok, with very nice amenities. Breakfast was what we expected. Disposable plates, cups, cutlery and the usual not very strong coffee. What made us change our mind? The staff. Bree on the front desk is very helpful and kind, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel runs a courtesy bus into town and we had Buck and Stuart during us who were great. Rusty was a total superstar. He gave us brilliant restaurant recommendations and drove us there and collected us when we had finished. We didn't have to get in the car once. To be fair, this is a semi budget chain, and what they do, they do well. It is convenient for town and road trips, it is clean and best of all they have a guest laundry which is free and much needed after a couple of weeks touring. Well done, to all the staff as they turned our view around and made us realise how good this hotel is.
The room was large and comfortable. It was a good value. Nice interior reception area. We were traveling in the off season so the hotel was not full. Everything we need it was provided for. We had been on vacation for two weeks and this was the best Hotel room we had had
We enjoyed our two night stay at this hotel despite hearing the continual road noise audible inside our room, and our neighbour snoring. It is on a busy highway, which makes for convenient access, but the windows when closed seemed to let most of the sound in. We really like the local-themed art and photography - you get a nice sense of Montana that way. Breakfast in their very large room was excellent, and staff were exceptionally friendly. We really enjoyed the very large hot tub and pool - the largest we've seen in any Best Western. We will return, but would try a room not facing the highway.
We stayed at the Whitefish Best Western while visiting a friend. The staff was amazing. They were friendly and knowledgeable about the area. It is a very clean and neat establishment. They are very pet friendly. The breakfast was excellent.
I have stayed at this Lodge for years. It is the only place that I'll stay, in the greater Whitefish, Kalispell, Columbia Falls area. It's clean, rooms are great, service is excellent, amenities are wonderful. When I first stayed here, it was to use as a jump off spot for Glacier NP, but I found that it was so superb that I continued to come back to this Lodge for any visit to the area. My most recent trip was to pick up some sausage from Perfect Cuts in Columbia Falls. Imagine my surprise when I checked in to find that they had upgraded me to a King Suite!! And at the same price of $130!!! It was like being in a mini-house! Of course, I know it was the off-season, but still, this was completely unexpected and certainly appreciated. I will continue to come here for years. It's also near to downtown Whitefish and all of its wonderful restaurants, shopping, historic district, and my favorite restaurant, the Whitefish Lake Restaurant. Thanks again, and I will continue to stay here in the future!!
Excellent customer service by all staff, breakfast was great and we loved the shuttle bus into town. A beautiful place to stay and the rooms where fantastic too. Very spacious, clean and noise proof. Will be back!!!!
Our go to place the last three years for our annual fall trip. Nice amenities, great breakfast with a centrally located hotel in town. Very nice outdoor pool and hot tub, small gym. The breakfast area us very large and they have a big screen tv to watch while enjoying breakfast.
Our room was very clean and nicely decorated. Loved having a microwave and mini fridge. The service of all staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was varied in the different types of foods offered and I really appreciated the fact there were so many protein options. I highly recommend this hotel and this hotel chain. We also appreciated that they gave us a discount for AAA membership.
Rooms were clean and the linens were a 5 star quality. Staff was professional and tentative! I used the shuttle early morning for the airport and the driver was from the laundry room. He was very polite and informative. I've spent upwards of 20 nights in Whitefish over the past year but this was my first experience at Rocky Mountain Lodge. I'm always searching for the best quality for the best price and this was it.
We had a great stay here when we visited Glacier National Park. Our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast every morning was great. We swam in the pool a couple of times and we loved the big hot tub. The people at the check-in desk were nice. The man that closed to pool every night was very nice (I forgot his name). There was a free laundry area there, too. The hotel was very pretty and in a good location. We would stay here again!
Lovely hotel. The room and bathroom were squeaky clean, the decor throughout was ple`asing, and staff were outstanding, both friendly and professional. Easy location in a beautiful setting. I especially liked how comfortable the bed was!
I was very pleasantly surprised with this hotel. I didn't know what to expect. The friendly tone was set when we spoke with service receptionist Brie and her "greeter" Sunny. They couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. The lobby was welcoming and the room quite nice, clean, spacious, quiet and pretty. I will definitely check out Best Western hotels after this. The only slight downside was that it was located on a busy highway and somewhat difficult to get into when traveling North. But Brie told us how to avoid the highway when we downtown, which was very close. Also they have a shuttle to downtown.
This motel is in a great location. 30 minutes from Glacier National Park and 20 minutes from Flathead Lake. Our room was huge (had the king executive suite) and very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and gave us good suggestions for meals and shopping. Breakfast was pretty good by motel standards. Lots of choices.
This motel was very convenient to the national park, It was also close to shopping (groceries, post office, gas stations, etc). The staff here is super nice and helpful. We needed to make a minor change to our itinerary and the staff was more than accommodating. I would highly recommend this motel..
I've stayed at this hotel before and had been satisfied enough to stay there again. My room was clean and quiet. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy, and the hotel is near services like a grocery store and a McDonald's, not to mention close to the downtown core of Whitefish. I've had problems with their internet, but that's because it's not secured and my laptop doesn't like that (nor do I, really), so I didn't use the internet. I did notice that they have a small guest laundry room, which is handy. Their continental breakfast is generally like other hotels' breakfast. Nothing special but it's nice to have. All in all, my stay was a good experience and I'll stay at this hotel again, the next time I am in the Whitefish area.
Convenient to Glacier National Park, and priced accordingly. Clean with pleasant staff with adequate breakfast provided. Room standard but clean and comfortable. Really do feel over-priced though--particularly for standard room.
We have visited this hotel before and we received the same excellent service as the first time. Having booked 2 nights x 2 due to rearranging our trip because of the wildfires, we found ourselves booked into 2 different rooms. The staff were excellent at reorganising things so we could stay in one room for 3 nights and another with the same facilities for the final night. The staff were happy to move our luggage and fridge items too. The breakfast is good with hot items available too. Everyone was friendly and accommodating.
I only stayed two nights but have never been treated better. Good breakfast/clean rooms/washing machine and dryer available /you can walk into Whitefish. Staff is outstanding with great manager. shuttle service also offered
I stayed here 1 night pre and post hiking tour to Glacier National Park. Fantastic staff and excellent location. Easy walk to Whitefish, but they do offer a complimentary shuttle if you prefer and also to airport.
Very good BW. Clean, attractive, helpful staff and pet friendly. It is a good location to Glacier and close to shopping and restaurants. Breakfast were good. Mostly important is that it was clean and felt safe. Beds were comfortable and anything you need is taken care of if possible.
We were on a two week trip to Glacier National Park, and had all our hotels booked. An opportunity to save on our flights added a day to the front end of our trip, so I booked this hotel for one night near our first stop. Wow, these guys are very friendly, very helpful, from front desk to housekeeping. They even loaned us bear spray for the length of our trip. Location was perfect for access to downtown, Whitefish Lake and West Glacier. Due to fires and smoke in the park, our last destination hotel had to be cancelled, so where else to stay was a no brainer. Back we went to the Best Western RML. Can't say enough and the price was very competitive.
I made reservations for the Best Western in Whitefish Montana, with plans to use it as a base for visiting Glacier National Park. However, Glacier National Park was evacuated and the only highway into the park was closed due to the fires. I called the Whitefish Best Western who referred me to the national Best Western “Customer Service” who then contacted the Whitefish Best Western who stated that they will NOT refund our prepayment. While our reservation states “The reservation is non-refundable” it seems that due to circumstances completely beyond our control Best Western would grant a refund. Because of the thick smoke we were forced to make a choice of forfeiting more than $350.00 or endangering my wife's health due to the smoke's effect on her asthma. We have spent more than $2100.00 on rooms at Best Western, plus meals and drinks in the past six months. However, that will no longer be the case.
First this is about 30 minutes from GNP, so not right next door, but it is in Whitefish, which has some good restaurants and things to see. With a swimming pool and free clothes washer/dryer - a great break on a long trip. Rooms are really big with refrigerator and microwave. Free Breakfast is pretty good and main entrees change day to day
Nice place to spend a week of vacation. Breakfast was great, what I have come to expect from Best Western. Location was a little farther from the park than I would have liked but it was available for the week we had planned the vacation
Very comfortable hotel, 35 minutes from the park entrance. Good wifi, although my tablet wouldn't allow access to certain sites for security reasons. Our room had a fridge and microwave, table and chairs. Plenty of room and the bathroom was a good size with nice toiletries. Laundry room is on the 3rd floor, you pay for washing powder but not to use the machines. Staff very helpful. There is a shuttle bus into town. Safeways within a 5 minute walk. I can't say I enjoyed the breakfast. Plastic egg and bacon does nothing for me. Cookies at reception in the afternoon. If you are planning to go to the park can I suggest you get up early to beat the crowds. There is really only one road (to the sun) and the world and his wife are going to be on it. We did this the first day, but on the second day we got up early and drove straight through and went to Many Glacier. Don't let the distance put you off, it is well worth the effort. We saw a mother bear with her cub on the roadside and a moose with her foal in the lake at the end of a walk. The scenery was spectacular, with non of the smoke haze that was in the other side of the park. The road to Many Glacier is poor at best. Going back to the hotel, I would stay here again if in the area.
We stayed at the Best Western Rocky Mountain Lodge for five nights. We had a king suite on the second floor and couldn't have been happier with this comfortable room. We loved the kitchenette area, whirlpool bath, and the really comfy bed. We would have used the fireplace but the weather was exceptionally warm. We enjoyed the small outdoor pool and spa and we were pleased with the newly installed privacy screen separating the pool from the parking lot. Our room, along with all the common areas of the hotel, were very clean and well-maintained. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful during our stay - the front desk staff greeted us without fail and made a point to ask about our activities each day. The breakfast area was roomy and very pleasant. The hotel is 26 miles from the West Glacier entrance and Whitefish itself is a nice community with many good restaurants, breweries, and stores and pretty mountain views.
The hotel room and bed were very comfortable. Linens and amenities were good. Breakfast was included in the price and was nice enough, typical of chains. Not rating it excellent because it was an expensive place to stay.
The maintenance man/driver was so friendly and helpful. The front desk welcomed us like family. The hot tub and pool were very nice after hiking at Glacier. We took the convenient shuttle downtown and walked back. It was an easy 20 minute walk back. It was very clean and had a great breakfast with lots of protein choices. The gal who worked in the dining room is very dedicated to her work.
They were going to charge me $350 to stay in that room that smell like a dog but since I was a diamond member they knocked hundred bucks off. I would have rather stayed down the street in a lesser known Hotel and not had to deal with the smell of a room. I own a dog and it doesn't smell that bad.
Joey handled our reservation very nicely. Kristen helped us when we called a week or so before our visit to double check our info. Bree answered all of our questions about bringing our pet with us and offered the wonderful tip to drive the Many Glacier road (as our trip was planned to drive the Going-to-the-Sun road through Glacier National Park (East to West). That turned out to be one of our favorite drives and viewing of what Glacier has to offer. Many thanks to her for that tip! All of the amenities of the hotel met or exceed our expectations (except the beds were not as comfortable as we would like - maybe time to refresh those).
Conveniently located about a mile from town, less than 11 miles from the airport, and close to Glacier National Park, this hotel is homey yet has all the amenities, including fast Wi-Fi and a laundry area on the 3rd floor. Everything was super clean and the three people working the front desk during our two recent stays were superlatively professional, friendly, and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.
I have been coming to this hotel on business for the past 17 years and have always received the upmost service from all stff. I only rate the sleep quality lower because I just don't sleep well in other beds. The rooms are wonderful and clean. Heat and AC unit wakes me due to the noise they make - but that is true in most hotels.
This is a great place to stay if you're taking the Amtrak. Their complimentary shuttle picked us up right at the Amtrak station, and gave us a ride to the airport the next morning to pick up our rental car to explore Glacier National Park. Clean, comfortable, and eco-friendly - we loved that they had recycling available! Desk staff and shuttle drivers had great advice on park and local attractions.
Very comfortable room and helpful, friendly staff. They allowed us to use the breakfast room when we had pizza and salad delivered to the hotel. Loved being able to do laundry for just the cost of the detergent. Breakfast had nice variety. Holy shuttle into Whitefish.
After staying in many small older motels for ten days, it was so nice to be in luxury for the night. Everyone was very pleasant and it was a beautiful motel with everything we needed...a splurge for us but worth it.
We flew into Whitefish and stayed one night at the Best Western, with intent of getting up early the next morning to the famous Highline trail at Logan Pass. When we left at 515am, there was a boxed breakfast all set for each of the 6 of us given by a lady with a smile and friendly words. That topped off a wonderful stay at a very clean and well manicured hotel, both inside and out. Very impressed and we will visit next year as we are coming back to Glacier!!!!
BW always provides a satisfactory travel experience. Nothing spectacular, but a clean, quiet room, caring staff, and a decent price. Location was good for us to spend evenings in Whitefish and days in Glacier.
Just finished a 2 night stay here. Great location, 5 min from downtown. Located on the airport side which helped for a 6:00 am flight. Very friendly staff! I,ve usually thought of Best Western as a step down from Hampton Inn and others in that category but this one was every bit their equal
We stayed here July 24th thru the 28th. First, our only negative item: we were told our room had a view of the mountains and it did not. This was not enough to warrant asking to be moved. Now the good: Two complimentary bottles of water were waiting for us in the refrigerator in our room and the AC was on. Our room was large and comfortable. The hotel has guest laundry facilities that are free to use. The breakfast was different each morning and lots of fresh fruit. The breakfast room was large, so there was no waiting for a table. The hot tub and pool were both large for hotel standards. Desk clerks always had ideas for restaurants and activities in the area. In the morning at the front desk there was always fresh fruit and bottled water available. There were fresh cookies in the afternoon. There was plenty of parking around the hotel and actually we found a parking place where we could check on our car from our window. The desk clerks always greeted us going and coming. We were made to feel like we were home. We definitely will stay here again.
This is a great hotel to stay at. Clean, quiet and well kept, with friendly helpful staff. However one problem we had was that when we arrived a half hour before the complimentary breakfast serving ended there were no hot items left and were never replenished. We also found the free downtown shuttle haphazard and unreliable.
We were visiting from the UK and stayed here for 2 nights during our US/Canada Tour. Whitefish had been recommended to us as a stop off point. We loved it all - the town, the hotel, the area. Even the weather was exceptional which was an added bonus. We arrived on Amtrak and were immediately greeted by the driver of the hotel shuttle bus. We were warmly welcomed at the hotel too. Our room was a good size and very comfortable. The staff could not have been more helpful - answering our queries, making suggestions about places to visit, advising on shuttle arrangements etc. The hotel provides breakfast - a buffet service but again very friendly staff, replenishing, cleaning and supporting guests. The laundry room was also a real plus in the middle of our 42 day holiday! We left again on Amtrak - an evening service and were made very comfortable in the lounge before our departure. Thank you to all the staff for making our stopover such a great experience.
Don't waste your points on this location. It's the most points I've spent on a room because the room price was so high. I am a diamond select member but no recognition at this location. Check in girl was rude. TV and internet didn't work. Pool was filthy. Breakfast was not good. Front desk girl was the same at check in and check out. Complained about the wifi and tv and she blew us off and said it was out in the entire area. Our friends at a neighboring property had no issues.
Our three generation family stayed in three rooms here 1 night before and after our trip to British Columbia. Great staff, breakfast, rooms, wi-fi, plus washer and dryer. Plenty of parking, convenient to restaurants, and pool is a plus.
Good hotel only 25 miles to Glacier National Park. Its along Highway 93 in Whitefish.Didnt hear traffic noise as the street is very busy. Good breakfast too. The Hotel is a bit pricey in high season but Thankfully we got upgraded to a suite.
Had one night here en route south. Service was excellent, the room was very comfortable for the four of us. Very good night's sleep. Almost the best thing was free washing and drying facilities which we were in need of. Good place to stop.
Best Westerns are not supposed to be five star resorts, and one arrives with a sense of what such a place ought to be like. This one will surprise you; the rooms are particularly nice, the staff could not have been any more helpful, and the location a mile or so from the (crowded) town of Whitefish is ideal. Be aware that there is no restaurant other than for breakfast; they do have a list of probably every restaurant in the area with descriptions of its cuisine!
This is a great hotel if you are staying in the Whitefish area. Very nice and clean and comfortable. The breakfast ROOM is one of the best I've ever seen (not to say the breakfast is the best but the room is large and laid out well). Staff very friendly and helpful (Monique in the breakfast room and Arielle at the front desk). Good pool with hot tub. Good wifi. Free parking. Fitness room is kind of small but good equipment.
This was an incredible experience. From the front desk person (Bria) to the shuttle driver (Buck), I could not have asked for a better stay. The hotel provides bikes, kayaks, and paddle boards to enhance an already wonderful experience. I felt the hotel staff, overall, went out of their way to make a stay well worth while.
This hotel is way over priced. The walls are thin so you hear everything. The traffic, people above you and of course the crying baby next door. By the time we got our bill with all the tax charges etc this room cost almost $300. to much money
A van driven by a talkative, down-to-earth man provides a lift to the Best Western from the Kalispell airport. The van also serves the Pine Lodge. He was bashful in accepting a modest tip. A smiling desk clerk checked us in. A bowl full of tart, colorful hard candy is irresistible. We pick out a few for the trail. The rooms are luxurious compared to the lodging available in the Park. The bathroom is relatively large and appointed well with high end soaps and lotions. The TV works. There is free W-Fi. The beds are comfortable. The room is clean. Laundry facilities are available and complimentary. And parking is free. It is a 5 minute walk to the Safeway grocery and a 15 to 20 minute stroll into the town of Whitefish where there are a dozen or more restaurants, art galleries and various shops offering souvenirs and such. In the morning we enjoy a complimentary full breakfast with good Montana coffee, juice, toast, make-your-own waffles, eggs and bacon, yogurt, fruit, cereal and pastries. I made myself a peanut butter and bacon sandwich on toast one morning. No complaints. All in all not a bad place to stay when visiting Whitefish.
We stayed here for 3 nights while we toured around in Glacier National Park. The hotel itself is very nice. Super clean, beds comfortable, and nice breakfast. However, this was a 35 minute drive every day into Glacier and then back out of Glacier. I would definitely recommend not staying here if you are wanting to visit the park. It was too long of a drive for us.
We needed a place in Whitefish, sort of last minute. We we lucky to catch space in this very nice Best Western. It was very well maintained and staffed with pleasant and helpful people. In terms of affordability, it was definitely in line with Whitefish hotel prices. Would stay here again!
Nice, clean hotel about 30 miles from Glacier National Park. This isn't a Best Western Plus, but it still cost nearly $300 a night with tax. Location! The staff was great, especially the shuttle van driver. The free breakfast was better than most. I would stay here again, just don't like to pay that much for a room. Whitefish is a nice town. We walked back from the restaurant over a mile, as it is a safe area.
My family and I stayed at this Best Western in Whitefish for a couple of nights, while visiting Glacier National Park. The staff member at check-in was extremely friendly and kind. The hotel even had bear spray that we could borrow for free during our stay! Our room had plenty of space and was very clean! Breakfast in the morning had the typical hot and cold items, and it was a great way to start our day. In the afternoon, the hotel has cookies available for guests at the front desk. Also, there is a free hotel shuttle that will take guests to the downtown part of Whitefish. If we were to be in the area again, we would definitely stay here!
Great staff. Good Breakfast! Good room! We had a table with two chairs, towels for 4 people. The basic bath-time toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, bath gel) in dispensers attached to wall beneath showerhead, as well as a very nice set of bath soap, hand soap and lotion on the sink. These were fully topped up or replaced every day. Our one (small) concern was attended to immediately. Although pricey you are paying for location-location-location, 1-to enjoy Witefish and beautiful surrounding area; 2-to take in skiing in the winter/ski lift and views in the summer; 3-a short drive sees you in Glacier-Waterton Park.
This is an excellent property! It's very clean and very well maintained. What makes this property exceptional is the friendly and attentive staff. Every staff member we encountered was absolutely delightful! We will definitely stay here again if we are ever in the area again!
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights during our travels to Glacier National Park. This hotel is about 30-45 minutes to the Apgar Entrance of the Park. The hotel was clean, and the beds were very comfortable. Best Western always has the best breakfast around as well and the person working the breakfast was very friendly both mornings we were there. There is a grocery store and sporting goods store right across the street from this location as well which was super convenient. This hotel even loaned us some bear spray to carry in the park while we were staying there – now that is great service! Just ask the front desk, and I'm sure they would be more than willing to loan it out as you hike in the park. Our family would highly recommend this hotel if staying in the area!
No complaints, however felt the price was high. Understandably so in a summer tourist town. Breakfast and free internet is a plus. This last sentence is just so I can post this silly review that I'm beginning to regret!
I stayed here with my mom and sister for two nights in July because of proximity to Glacier National Park (about 30 min away). Everything was fine... it was maybe just a tad expensive for quality level, which I'd say is sufficient (but I'm also a platinum SPG member and used to those amenities). Staff was friendly, room was clean and big enough for 3 grown women, breakfast had good variety of options, free parking, and the proximity to the town of Whitefish and hotel shuttle (which we didn't need, but nice to be offered) to town was great too.
Best Western Rocky Mountain Lodge in Whitefish, MT is a wonderful place to stay while visiting Whitefish and Glacier NP. The room is clean and comfortable. The front desk staff is very nice and helpful. The breakfast is enjoyable. Only 30 minutes outside of Glacier NP.
If you're travelling to or through Whitefish Montana I strongly recommend to reserve at this hotel, very accommodating, Friendly, courteous, professional staff. Rooms super clean, great pool and hot tub , good breakfast !!!
Very nice property, helpful and friendly staff, clean and well serviced rooms. Breakfast is well stocked with the "usual" selections, but the main item menu does change daily. Room was well done and kept clean and stocked. Only drawback was noise from adjoining room. Our AC fan on high didn't cover it up.
The Best Western Rocky Mountain Lodge in Whitefish, Montana is the perfect place to stay! The location and vaule is right on. It is close to the HWY heading into West Glacier, walking distance to restaurants, grocery stores, and the Best Western even offers a shuttle bus if you prefer. The bedding was OUTSTANDING ...top quality and real comfort, plus the room was super quiet and had everything we needed. Whitefish must be the MOST idyllic town in USA!
This hotel was wonderful. The staff was friendly and so helpful. They tracked the Amtrak train which was delayed. They gave us information regarding a nice walking route from downtown. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The shuttle took us to the train station. We stayed on our way to Glacier and again on our way from Glacier. We had a great breakfast. I will definitely consider Best Western in the future.
First off, Whitefish is a great little town. Very upscale place to visit with great places to eat and interesting shopping. Skiing in the winter and Glacier National Park less than 30 minutes away. This Hotel is right on the main street to all of these places. Very nice rooms and great breakfast. This is a perfect place to be central to all the fun. Loved the stay.
This is an excellent hotel on the western side of Glacier National Park. Very comfortable with desirable amenities. A great place to relax either before or after a trip through Glacier - and during a ski trip near Whitefish for winter travelers. Only real concern is the cost - $268 for two adults. A bit much for one night but as the hotel was booked both nights we reserved customers obviously feel it is worth the price.
My first experience with a Best Western and I was not disappointed. The room was very clean and comfortable and the hotel itself was very clean and the staff very helpful. It's nice they offered grab and go breakfast, as we were running the glacier challenge and thought we were going to miss breakfast. We were able to get a late checkout and enjoy the hot tub after our run and was back in time to enjoy breakfast of waffles.
One of the best hotels we have stayed in for the price. Probably the best free breakfast we have ever had. We were upgraded to a larger room, the best room in the hotel according to one of the clerks. Clerk was very helpful in suggesting dinner spots also. Person in charge of breakfast was as nice as you will ever find.
Spectacular value. This feels like a HOTEL - and NOT a motel. The accommodations and amenities are wonderful. Most important, the rooms are spacious, clean and the beds are fabulous. Free ample breakfast included. Service and attitude of staff are a fantastic plus vs. what I am used to at similar mid-priced properties. Three star hotel with five star treatment and cleanliness. Will absolutely stay here again. ZERO complaints, everyone on staff incredibly helpful and super friendly. Late check-out for no extra charge is a plus on an availability basis - but only if you let them know on the day of your departure, not before, subject to census / occupancy status at this property, which changes daily. (We stayed June 22-23, 2017.) Sidebar note - this property is a Best Western - but is operated by the Delaware North hospitality group - which stresses service-service-service and is better known for its first class properties around the world. Last month we stayed at the upscale Tenaya Lodge in Yosemite for $400/night and was not disappointed. Meanwhile, this property in Whitefish, Montana has daily rates that are a fraction of those at a four- or five-star hotel. We paid under $200 a night but a good portion of that was padded by hotel taxes over which it has no control. This rate is by no means cheap and rates are much higher during peak vacation season - but I stress again - what we got was a great value.
We stayed a couple days at this fairly small hotel and would have extended out stay is we could have. Nice rooms, a large well-appointed breakfast area with super additional service. No evening bar unfortunately but did not really affect us. Friendly staff and reasonable summer time prices.
Stayed here for one night after flying into the Glacier airport. I chose it as it was reasonably priced and in a good location for us to head north to Alberta. For my first stay at a BW - I was very pleased. Checking in was easy; the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable, and the location can't be beat. It is near downtown Whitefish, across the street from a movie theater, near a bowling alley, down the street from a large Safeway and Starbucks, and close enough to the airport. This was exactly what I was looking for. We didn't get a chance to see the pool, but really enjoyed the fresh cookies and the breakfast. Echoing what others have said before me, the gentleman handling the breakfast was super nice, which made you feel at home. There were so many choices, both to eat in and take away. The lobby was very nice too - an inviting lodge feel. I would recommend for short or longer visits to West Glacier.
This hotel was wonderful. The staff go above and beyond. The owners/managers of this hotel really put forth the effort to keep the property up and make the stay memorable. Staff appear happy to work there which is a great sign. Great price as well.
The hotel does not look much from the outside , but once you get inside it improves a lot , the rooms are large and we'll kept, there is a free shuttle bus to downtown , if you don't fancy the 1 mile walk. Brecfast was good and plentiful. I would be more than happy to stay hear agane.
Check-in: it was a breeze, I had reservations so there was no issue. They had fresh macadamia nut cookies ready for the incoming folks, ready every evening. The guy checking us in gave us a quick rundown of breakfast & gave us maps of the area & Glacier. Some of the other reviews mentioned them having Bear Spray to use, while @ the park; they did but it took us asking two different people on two different days. That's way better than buying it for a few days @ the park for $49.99 & NOT using it. All the staff we encountered were very helpful in letting us/guests know which roads were closed @ Glacier, so if that's your destination be sure to ask them. Lobby: Clean. There's always coffee & hot water for either tea or hot chocolate available. It has comfy chairs where you can sit to plan your Glacier/Skiing routes. The breakfast buffet area is located here too. Breakfast: Clean area. The guy working two of the mornings there was very friendly & constantly cleaning up. Pretty darn tasty. They have a huge spread of options, there's something for everyone. The first day there was: waffles, pancakes, eggs (boiled & scrambled), sausage patties, oatmeal (instant packs of cinnamon apple, maple brown sugar & Apple?), cereal, milk, juice, coffee, hot chocolate. The following morning there was instant bacon vs the sausage patties & there were already maid egg/cheese omelets. Laundry: On the 3rd floor of the building is FREE laundry, it has two washers & two dryers.
Great hotel with good service, nice rooms, good breakfast. We took the train to Whitefish, rented a car, and drove to Glacier National Park. Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. Courtesy van was right there to pick us up at the Amtrak station and took us the next morning to get a rental car. Enjoyed our stay!
The Staff is very friendly and helpful and the rooms are very clean and well appointed. Good breakfasts. Hotel is located near West Glacier National Park. They have a free shuttle to downtown area which is very helpful since parking in downtown is limited. The hotel is situated conveniently located.
Not sure when they constructed this hotel, but interior and rooms look brand new. Front desk staff were very friendly and even suggested few shopping places for our outerwear clothing. Breakfast was adequate, wifi was really good as kids were able stream few videos without any buffering problems. Only negative I could see was the water pressure in the shower, it was very low.
Clean, Great breakfasts, and the staff was exceptional. Would stay again in a minute. The room was very comfortable. The location was super and the shuttle was available and on time when we needed them.
Great location, LOVE Whitefish, MT. Great hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who asked. Whitefish is beautiful and has al of the amenities. Close to Glacier National Park. Glacier is heaven on earth.
We were in town for a soccer tournament and our coach suggested we stay here instead of Kalispell - so glad we did. The hotel is super close to downtown Whitefish and also not a bad drive to the tournament fields. Rooms are clean and had everything we needed. The staff were all very chill, helpful, and friendly and available to help us in any way. Cookies in the afternoon were a nice tough, and the breakfast was perfect. We will definitely stay here next year, and any other time we come to the area.
We I Very clean room and hotel, with a huge breakfast potatoes, biscuits, sausage, eggs, etc. with both indoor and outdoor seating. The entire staff was very nice and eager to make your stay great, we used 20,000 points for 1 night here. Our room was nice and the entire hotel was extremely clean. The pool and hot tub was ok and there was a wall between the pool and the hot tub (less pool noise) no one else was in there anyway. That brings me to the next thing, we are diamond members and are entitled to a free upgrade and didn't receive it, I felt lied to, because she said all those were sold out. There was no one there that night and I seriously doubt that the higher priced rooms would be sold out when those are usually the last to go, in fact I called best western just to see if they were available and guess what they were! So why be loyal to Best Western? We did stay a 2nd night because we couldn't get thru Glacier National Park, the thru road is closed and you can only go 14 miles into the park and have to turn around and come back. But don't skip it it's well worth seeing! This was a nice hotel and it was the same price as the "economy" hotels in town, and that's why we stayed again. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
We appreciated the kindness and thoughtfulness of the staff,as we came with our family dog. I can assure you that we will be back. The breakfast was so-so and it should include fresh scrambled eggs. The pool looked very inviting however I forgot to bring my swim suit.
Really enjoyed our stay here. I have stayed at many hotels as I usually travel for business. This trip was leisure, and I found this hotel was a great place to stay. I would highly recommend it, and would stay again.
I did not feel like we were from "away" when my daughter and I were staying at BW Whitefish. From breakfast to front desk to housekeeping to physical plant staff: a great feeling of welcome from entire staff! Thank you!
Having stayed at this hotel in the past and enjoyed my stay, I was pleasantly surprised to find my experience even more gratifying and more pleasant this time. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The room was clean and nicely dressed and the premises were quiet.
Best Western Hotel in Whitefish, Montana was amazing and very clean and a very friendly and efficient staff and we would definitely stay here again. We came for a wedding and truly enjoyed every minute of our stay.
What a gem this motel turned out to be. We were given a huge room with gas log heater and very friendly service. Couldn't ask for more. The only thing I could fault is the walls are a bit thin and we could hear the next room talking and walking around. But apart from that excellent value for money.
Went for my husband's surgery. Great accommodations. Breakfast was awsome! Staff was friendly and courteous. Slept well each night. Clean front of the building. Inside the hotel was also nice and clean. Lobby was inviting with the fireplace. Just all around nice stay.
Got off the Amtrak. Some people say that you can walk from the station and that may be true, but I don't recommend it. It was pouring rain when we got there. It's about a 10 minute drive with a Safeway nearby and a laundry facility on property. You have to pay for detergent, but I'm just grateful that they have a facility. The amenities were good quality! I asked the staff if I could check in early and they let me into the room at noon. They were very nice and efficient!
This is a great place to stay when in the flathead lake area. Close to glacier national park and the flathead lake area. easy access to major roads and shopping the area. good breakfast with a nice large room for breakfast or just to relax. nice outdoor heated pool. easy check in process.
This hotel was a great choice because the price was reasonable and yet there were so many good things that were better than I had expected, and the employees really went above and beyond. They were kind and pleasant. They welcomed my nephew when he arrived late at night, later in the week -- made sure he had a room key and there weren't any issues with communications and follow through on that. The shuttle driver picked us up on time when we needed, not only transferring us from the amtrak station but also when we went out for dinner and drinks. Location: It is close enough to walk downtown. Also the Safeway supermarket is about two blocks away so you can get good Montana beer like Cold Smoke to stock in your room's refrigerator. My son loved the heated outdoor pool and I was fond of the hot tub. Yes it's close to the back parking lot, but really I didn't mind that at all. It's close to the hotel exit so that was the most important thing to me so as to minimize cold air contact. Fresh pool towels there and plastic cups for any beverages that might enhance your evening :) This hotel is on the SNOW bus circuit which is very convenient and enables you to not have to rent a car if you're there to primarily go to the Big Mountain. They have locked storage for skis and snowboards on the first level. There are washing machines and dryers on the third floor along with a detergent vending machine in case you need to do any laundry. Great continental breakfast bar -- fresh fruit, various yogurts, too, in addition to eggs, bacon, hot and cold cereal options. They would rotate the menu for eggs and meat, so it wasn't always the same if you were to stay for more than a couple of days. Did I mention warm cookies at the front desk after a day of snowboarding? These are admittedly small things, yet these made it a home away from home for a week for me and my son. I really appreciate all they did to make us feel welcome. Many many thanks to the staff, I cannot remember all of your names but surely, I hope to see you again next year.
I had a very stressful trip i was dealing with. I flew in from California to pick up my daughter. I flew in late night Friday(1am) i was worried i wouldnt have a ride to the hotel from the airport. I called the hotel and they had someone pick me up within 15 minutes. One of the nicest staff i have ever dealt with. From the night to the morning shift employees all of them made me feel welcomed.
One of the better Best Western hotels without having to pay for the plus category. Fabulous breakfast choices! Love the welcoming lobby with fireplace. Super clean, comfortable bed, and large room with additional furnishings.
We stayed here whilst on a "skiing road trip". Only 15 minutes from whitefish ski resort. Free parking. Front desk staff were super friendly, gave us a list of recommended restaurants and told us all we needed to know. Chocolate mints on the front desk were tasty too :) Free shuttle to town (about 5 minute drive), that leaves on the hour but let front desk know you want it, and picks up in town at 10 past - this was handy! Hot tub was good - seats 20, there's also an outdoor pool. It does feel like you're in the middle of a car park, and you kind of are but the wall around ensures enough privacy. Hot tub towels and plastic glasses were provided. The room was spacious, clean, had a hair dryer & fridge and the bed was SO comfortable. Room was quiet, we slept well! Wifi was quick. Also two computer and printer in lobby. Breakfast was awesome - bagels, bacon, egg, salsa, waffles, pancakes, muffins, cereal! We would definitely stay again!
The staff were both friendly and professional. The hotel was clean and nicely decorated. The bed and pillows were comfortable and I loved the bath soap it smelled so good. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
The hotel is very clean and extremely wheel chair accessible. The staff are very courteous and friendly. Breakfast item selections numerous and the eating area is very well maintained. Extremely pleased with this hotel.
Probably the best experience I've ever had at a Best Western because the staff Is friendly, accommodating and helpful in every way. Shuttle drivers, front desk staff, breakfast staff and housekeeping staff were all friendly and went out of their way to make a pleasant stay. I was their to ski and they made it so easy to find my way with so many helpful ideas. I would recommend to anyone looking for a top notch accommodation.
We needed to check in early; they were accommodating; and needed to check out late this too was 'handled'. We use Amtrak exclusively for our travels to the Glacier Pk area and having a hotel that can meet our needs to work with the train schedule is wonderful. I support people with significant support needs and this BW property met all the high standards set by other BW properties for this requirement. Thank you.
We spent the night here before getting on Amtrak in the morning. Bed was fresh, clean with crispy cotton sheets and excess fluffy pillows. Nice products in the bathroom. Quiet. Good breakfast. Hot drinks in the lobby and warm cookies greeted us upon are evening arrival. The shuttle service was excellent and was even waiting to pick us up from our return on the train. Staff is exceedingly attentive. Good internet.
This is second stay here. Both times, the facility was excellent, and the employees are all outstanding - professional, competent, and friendly. Very convenient to downtown Whitefish, and about 30 minutes at most to Glacier National Park.
The staff at the hotel was fantastic - everyone had great advice on where to go, things to do. The desk clerk even told us which mile markers to look for on our route - to see interesting things along our trip. The hotel was close to the downtown area - we didn't use the free shuttle, but it was good to have the option.
This was our second stay this year. Here in August for a Glacier trip. This time just for a getaway. I called to ask which room type we had in August and they made a better deal (happily) by phone than Booking.com. Consistency in friendly, courteous staff, rooms are clean, large and nice. Ours had a gas fireplace, refer, bar sink and micro + view over pool of Big Mountain. Movie theatre across the street, Safeway almost next door. Nice walk or short drive to downtown. Upgraded breakfast open 'til 10 on weekends. Eggs, meat, waffles + usual continental items. They even left my wife a goodie bag for her birthday. Will come back.
Friendliest, most helpful, knowledgeable, genuinely sweet staff of any hotel we have ever stayed in. Went above and beyond to make our 6 day stay extrodinary!! Packed us to go sack breakfasts, gave us photography shooting insider tips, gave us excellent dinner recommendations, free shuttle service into town for farmers market and Oktoberfest, awesome breakfast service, ALL staff had smiles and treated us like family!
I traveled to the Best Western Rocky Mountain Lodge as part of my trip to attend the funeral of a good friend of mine. I was warmly welcomed by Brie who was pleasant, efficient and always friendly. The full complement of staff personnel were friendly, effective at their jobs and seemed genuinely interested in finding out about their guests. A stay here is highly recommended.
The entrance to the park was 20 miles away, but this motel was more reasonable. The ride to the park gate was about 30 minutes. Very well kept motel, personnel so accommodating, good breakfast. Request a room on the top floor to avoid hearing people above you walking around half the night. If you plan to take a trip next year to the parks, book early for best price. Make sure there is no penalty to cancel.
While this is not a cheap hotel, it is well worth the extra dollars. It doesn't look like much from the outside but rooms are nice and comfy, breakfast is great, and the employees are very friendly and helpful. Thanks to my Diamond status I was upgraded to a suite with a jacuzzi and a fireplace which was great. There is a shuttle bus that takes you downtown and although the hotel is right next to the main road it was very quiet. I would definitely stay here again.
The family stayed at the BWRML while visiting Whitefish recently. Upon our arrival we were met by a friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff. Our room was spacious, well appointed and quiet. The pillows and beds were comfortable, while the comforters were warm and comfy. The BWRML has most likely, the best motel breakfast we have had during our travels. I would not hesitate to return again or to recommend them to everyone.
We have stayed in many hotels throughout the world and have never experienced the excellent service, helpfulness and friendliness from the staff as we have at this Best Western Hotel. The amenities were very adequate especially for the price of the stay. We would definitely stay at a Best Western Hotel again based on our experience in Whitefish.
We recently spent 5 nights at this motel in Whitefish and was one of our best stays ever! Each and every employee we encountered was friendly, helpful and always smiling! Their breakfast has many offerings from various kinds of eggs each day as well as alternating days sausage patties or breakfast burritos. Cereal, bagels, toast is always available, two offerings of pastry and waffle machine every day. Their batter for waffles is yummy. Coffee, juices, water and such is available too. Newspapers are offered daily in their large breakfast room as well. The dining room staff were outstanding and made sure each persons needs were met. We cannot say enough about the employees at the check in counter as well as the housekeeping staff. Every request, no matter how small was met with complete professionalism. The rooms were clean and our bathroom was beautiful. We used their free laundry machines too while there as well as their exercise equipment. A place offering everything you would want. Close to downtown and a large chain grocery store. We will stay there for sure next time we visit this part of Montana.
They sell the pillows at the Front Desk. Obviously, there is a reason that they do not sell the mattress. After 14 different hotels this trip it rated 14. The car park at the front had only one handicapped parking spot - must have been the minimum legal requirement. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. Even though room at the front found street noise minimal. Good location for Glacier National Park.
We travel with our small dog so pet friendly hotels rank high. Room was modern and clean. Lots of outlets for those with a bunch of devices to charge. The staff was friendly and all smiled at our dog. One of the staff was allowed to bring her dog to work. Very cool. Lots of well kept areas to walk your pup.
For our stay and visit to Glacier, we booked this hotel based on reviews. This is truly a great place, the reception staff, the ladies in the breakfast room, the cleaning staff, always friendly and helpfull if you asked something. One day I lost my sunglasses and I called the reception desk to ask if my glasses perhaps are at the reception desk or in the hotel shuttle bus. We where in Whitefish downtown area and suddenly I heard somebody calling my name, it was the hotel shuttle bus driver bringing my sunglasses. This is what I call service!! We are from Europe and we made a 3 week tour in the USA and visited Glacier, Yellowstone, Teton, Black Hills and the Badlands. This was for us the best hotel we stayed in.
Nicely furnished is lodge style that goes with surrounding area. Comfortable room, good breakfast with lots of choices for any dietary concerns. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Close to downtown Whitefish and all the fun shops.
Hands down the BEST hotel we have stayed at yet on this trip! Employees went above and beyond in every aspect, rooms were spotless, breakfast was superb with great variety! Loved this hotel and the little town of Whitefish, Montana!
We chose to stay at this property based on previous TripAdvisor reviews and it's pet friendly status. When we booked the room we decided to upgrade to a king-sized bed and were told by the agent our room would be in the hotel's annex. We were assured the rooms were just as nice as those in the main building. Unfortunately, this was not true ... the overall construction quality of the annex was poor. The room had a cabin-like atmosphere with a huge gap under the front door. We complained to the front desk staff about the annex room and they moved us to a beautiful double-queen room in the main building. The rest of our 2-day stay was wonderful. Bottom line, book rooms in the main building, not the annex.
The breakfast was great and different everyday. There were always egg and meats to make breakfast sandwiches and waffles with blueberry syrup. We ate there every morning! The pool was outside but wasn't cold at all. I usually find all pools too chilly unless you are really swimming a lot, but this one was very relaxing and just warm enough to let you walk right in without shivering. We got a jetted tub in our room and I loved it, I could've stayed in there all day, but bring bath foaming stuff and it's even better. The soaps smell great too. The lobby looks really nice and there are plenty of luggage carts to use. I loved this place!
We have never been to Whitefish, Mt, but since we were going to Glacier National Park, and we were going to be here for a few days, I looked up lodging that was close to the park and in our price range. This hotel caught my eye, and am I glad it did! Large, comfy room. Great breakfast, and huge breakfast room! Super friendly staff. Great restaurant recommendations. Everything I need in a hotel, and more. Great choice.
Highly recommend this Best Western. I am staying in BW's around the country, and this one is by far the best. Newly remodeled, it has everything including good WIFI, fireplace, microwave kitchenette, free laundry, and well trained, friendly staff. The other Best Westerns I have stayed in the mid-west did not have even ADA toilets. Have like child's toilets. When I return to Glacier National Park, this is my place. Couldn't find anything wrong!
We had a very nice stay at this hotel. It is located about a mile from downtown but there is a sidewalk the entire way so it was easy to walk. The room was modern, comfortable and clean. A bonus is that Dairy Queen is located right next door for a late night ice cream treat. Friendly staff and a very nice hot breakfast with a large dining room. Close to Glacier and Flathead Lake.
From the moment we entered itn was all about our experience. The staff greeted us with sincerity and actually were glad to see us. Everyone from one end to the other end of the property constantly greeted us and made sure we were well taken care of. Nicole gave us her top six choices of the 32 local restaurants highlighted on a list with addresses and directions. Everyone of which was a hit. The accommodations were a home run out of the ball park. Everything worked in a beautifully decorated spacious room and impeccably clean. The value was incredible considering I had just stayed in a so called luxury Hotel paying 60% more for about 80% less. I highly recommend this Hotel which beats every Best Western and other Hotels all over the world that I've stayed in over 25 years of traveling. The management and team were outstanding and I could not recommend this hotel any more highly.
Whitefish is an entrance way to Glacier National Park so of course motels are more expensive in this town but I found it was worth it. The rooms were very nice and quiet. The service was friendly and they gave a lot of information about the town.
Stopped in Whitefish while traveling on vacation. Got a great room at a good rate. Room was nice size, quite, clean and comfortable. Got a great night sleep. Close to town and area activities. Hotel staff made some great dinner suggestions. If we're in the area again, will definitely stay here again.
We love Best Westerns because they are reliably good and are in most western towns. This one is a cut above. Same clean, well equipped rooms and friendly helpful staff but the breakfast room is large and very inviting, there's a very pleasant common area with a fireplace and lots of comfortable seating, excellent restaurant suggestions and other amenities. Really good choice.
We had a large room with fireplace and seating area, nicely furnished. The room was clean and quiet and the staff friendly. Good breakfast selection, well presented. For travelers, the hotel is just one block from a Safeway store.
Not knowing much about Whitefish or Montana, we more or less picked this hotel based on reviews like this. Good job, Tripsters!. This hotel seems spotlessly clean--impressive. The staff is super-helpful and friendly, from front desk to the wait staff for the free breakfast. The rooms are spacious and pretty stylish, and the location is a short, healthy walk to Whitefish--about 10 minutes. The drive to Glacier National Park is about 30 miles., Simple. One turn from the hotel and down the road. I have obligatory complaints: I found the pillows kind of hard. GLACIER PARK TIP: Park urges you to buy bear spray (about $45) which you hopefully won't use. But you can't take it home on airliners. We found out, after the fact, the hotel keeps a stash of past guests' unused spray cans. I assume they're free or cheaper. (don't know, cuz we bought ours, and gave away our unused contained to some vacationing hikers from the Netherlands.)
First Weston Harries at the desk was a wealth of knowledge on places to go that not everyone goes to. He also is a great photographer and a lot of the canvas art work was his photographs beautiful decor. They are very pet friendly and rooms are large and well equipped. We never found doggy poop bags though so bring your own. The breakfast ladies were very accomidating and friendly. Great resteraunts in this town. The First Lady who checked us in was great too I didn't catch her name but helped us with a list of resteraunts and her favorites. They have guest laundry on the 3rd floor either bring your own soap or they have some to purchase. Great location to Glacier and Kalispell.
Great stay in a great location. Quiet even though right on the main highway - very close to downtown Whitefish and the mountain. Staff welcoming - especially the housekeeping and gardener - sincere welcomes given. Lots of options for breakfast - large comfortable eating room with plenty of seating.
This accommodation is by far one of the nicest Best Westerns we've stayed in. The breakfast room and lobby look like a top notch ski lodge. Great hot tub outside with starlit views at night. Staff was very courteous and helpful. They made our stay memorable. I highly recommend it for summer, shoulder or ski seasons..
Stayed just one night with our kids - the room was comfortable and clean, but a tiny bathroom. The air conditioning unit was loud and it felt like it was turning on and off all night long. Good breakfast in the morning. The parking was a bit tough - we arrived late and had to park very far from the front entrance - almost in an overflow type area.
Good breakfast, nice staff, but if you get a room that has an adjoining room, be prepared to hear EVERYTHING in the next room. Also their plumbing is very weak and there were some problems getting the toilet to flush properly.
A Best Western stay , rarely a bad experience! No exceptions here , breakfast was on time and pretty good - Whatever you call the person cooking was pleasant , had most things ready close to half an hour early! And, actual usable flatware the was strong enough to cut things with the fork! Only minus was we were right next door to the elevator , but not a big deal .. Good room , good help thanks!
Just an overall great place to stay. Nice Bathrooms\\ and amenities. Breakfast room was nice and roomy with nice atmosphere. Rooms were comfortable and nice surfaces to work from. closet was nice sized and easy to hang bags in.
This relatively new and beautifully maintained property has outstanding people who go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. The location is a little too far from Whitefish's downtown, so rather than condemn you to walking to McDonald's or the nearby bowling alley for a meal , they offer a free shuttle service to and from the restaurant district. The breakfast buffet is quite good. No North American hotel (apparently) really grasps what a true Continental breakfast actually is, but some make better attempts than others, and this is one of the better approximations. Everything speaks of thoughtful, engaged management backed up by staff who take their work seriously. Highly recommended.
We recently spent a week at Rocky Mountain Lodge. We had one of the suites. The room was spacious, beautiful, and extremely clean. The staff was very friendly - no exceptions. The breakfast was delicious and varied. It is within walking distance to downtown Whitefish. I would highly recommend this lodge.
The hotel itself is lovely, the room very nice and spacious and the bed very comfy - which was a bonus since we had just spent the last 5 days hiking in Glacier. The reason we stayed at this location was because the website clearly states "We offer a free shuttle service to and from the airport, downtown and Amtrak to make things easy on our guests." We had a 6:45 am flight out of Kalispell and was told leaving for the airport at 5:30 am would get us there in plenty of time. When we requested the shuttle to take us we were told that the shuttle is only available to take you to the airport at 4:15 am!! This would have gotten us to the airport at 4:35 am - that particular day the airport wasn't even open at that time!! So, we had to call a cab and it cost us an additional $50. The hotel also offers a free shuttle to the downtown area at the top of the hour and return pickup at 10 minutes after the hour - which we took advantage of. When we called for the return pickup the front desk staff told us the van would be there at 10 after. We waited, and waited and waited some more - when we called to check the whereabouts the staff again told us he'll be there soon! At 35 minutes after the hour (25 minutes late!!) the van pulls up - he had been at the airport making a pickup - fine - why couldn't the desk staff tell us that - we would have stayed at the restaurant longer!! Would never stay at this place unless you have your own transportation! Worst service!
The Best Western Rocky Mountain in Whitefish, Montana is an exceptional place to stay when visiting Glacier National Park, Big Mountain or any of the other area attractions. This hotel is conveniently located about 1 mile from downtown Whitefish and 30 minutes from the west entrance of Glacier National Park. The hotel staff, and in particular, Nicole and Wayne are professional, friendly, and efficient and have a positive attitude. All staff members have a “can do” attitude and go the extra mile to ensure that the customer is well cared for. The hotel is clean, well run, and attention to detail is evident. The rooms are clean, beds are very comfortable and linens are excellent. Our room had a nice flat screen tv, refrigerator and microwave. The bathrooms are good with ample amounts of towels, soap, shampoo and conditioners. A free breakfast is served and is pretty good with a wide variety of choices. The staff is attentive and constantly addressing customer needs. They are constantly cleaning and restocking food items so that the customer dining experience is pleasant. Maintenance personnel are always busy keeping this hotel clean and functioning smoothly, and when we had requests for specific items, i.e. chairs so that we could sit outside and enjoy the Montana sunshine, padded chairs were provided for us without question. We have stayed at many different hotels during our travels, but the Best Western Rocky Mountain is without a doubt one of the very best. The staff at this hotel helped make this one of our best vacations ever. We definitely look forward to staying at this hotel again when in the Whitefish area.
When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted with friendly smiles. The check-in was quick and efficient. when we went to the room, I was amazed at how nice the room was. A large room with 2 Queen beds , a flat screen TV, a microwave and refrigerator. with 2 complimentary waters . The room was spotless. Very comfortable beds. It also had a coffee maker. The nicest staff ever, great service.
I have stayed at this hotel on two separate occasions and both times it was great. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful and the rooms are very spacious, very clean and had very comfortable beds. It is within walking distance to town if you like to walk, as it is about 1 mile away (they also provide a shuttle if needed). Breakfast was included and it was basic and good.
We spent 3 nights here while visiting Glacier; would definitely stay here again. Room was nice; bed was comfy; free breakfast had plenty of options; staff was friendly & professional. Short drive to Glacier. Lots of dining options in Whitefish.
BW Rocky Mountain Lodge is a beautiful hotel with great service and extremely convenient to Glacier National Park (about 30 minutes). The only problem experience is the noise from the room above, there seems to be no sound insulation between the rooms. Whitefish is also an incredible town.
We stayed here on out last night before flying home- the room was spacious and very clean. Pool and hot tub nice at the end of the day. Courteous staff and very helpful. One of the nicest BW we have ever stayed at on a trip.
BW Rocky Mountain was everything we were looking for. It was immaculate, and our room had a frig, microwave, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, and great reading lights. The beds, sheets, and pillows were all very comfortable. Towels were soft and thick. Nicole at the front desk took great care of us and Curtis in the breakfast room worked hard to make sure it was clean and well stocked. Breakfast had something for everyone- sausage, eggs, yogurt, Belgium waffles, fresh fruit, pastries, etc. And they had chocolate chip cookies at the front desk :).
o We were very happy with our stay at the Best Western Rocky Mountain Lodge in August 2016. The front desk staff were very welcoming and were able to find two adjacent rooms and allowed our group to check in early. The staff also spent quite a few minutes familiarizing us with the area and suggesting different things to do and places to eat nearby. There was a shopping center with grocery store immediately across the street from the hotel, and downtown Whitefish was just about a mile away. Our rooms were spacious and clean and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast area was large and sunny and had plenty of hot and cold choices. Coffee and hot water for tea and hot chocolate was available all day in the lobby. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to visitors to the area.
This Best Western is one of the nicest that I have stayed at. Spent 3 days at this location, and the staff and accommodations were very good. Nice free breakfast selection every morning. We used the free shuttle to go downtown every night, and the drivers were very nice. This BW had a nice wash station set up for motorcycles that we used twice. This was a good stay on our vacation trip.
Very lucky to have Nicole working the front desk when we arrived. As motorcyclists, we're an odd bunch but Nicole made sure our rooms parking was perfect. Then she went on to give us the best food and bar info possible. Her restaurant recommendation (Tupilo's) was the best food we had in 7 days.. Oh, and they have a "Hog Wash" at the back of the hotel to keep iron horse looking sharp. Great experience
We loved staying in your hotel, you treated my Husband and our 2 Grandchildren like Family. So much so, that we plan to return to see more of Glacier National Park and get in on some photography of our own.
I really enjoyed staying here. It was clean, the staff was friendly. The rooms were clean and well cared for. The free breakfast in the morning is outstanding and on a multi day stay some of the main offerings rotate so your not always getting the same thing. My only complaint and the only reason I could not give a higher rating is the pillows. They are small and seem to shrink out from under your head. A king size bed, should have king size pillows. I do have to say the hot tub outside was clean, and very nice to sit in after a busy day!
Travelled to Whitefish for a romantic weekend getaway on our motorcycle. Used the pool all 3 days, and had it all to ourselves every day. The courtesy shuttle took us downtown every evening and came to get us as well. Great rooms, great breakfast, great service!! Wayne the maintenance man was friendly, attentive and gave us lots of local information.
super clean rooms, good beds, good hot breakfast, and pet friendly. the lines all looked new, did not see any dust anyplace in the room or the hallways. shuttles are available for those who want to use them free wifi
We were traveling through Idaho and Montana and we're lucky enough to stay at this hotel over the holiday weekend. We had our dog with us and this hotel was very accommodating. They have a nice play area outside stocked with cleanup bags and convenient trash. We were thoughtfully located at the end of the hall so it was easy to get in and out with the pooch. Nice breakfast too!! Great location!
This is one of the Best Westerns we have stayed at.They have a great staff. Very clean and have a very nice breakfast. Location is great and only about twenty miles from the entrance to Glacier National Park.
Read my survey that says it all. Great staff, rooms were beautiful. all the amenities I wanted. The breakfast was a bit thin. The eggs I think were powdered? and formed into circles, very uninviting to eat How about some freshly cooked oatmeal,(food cost is low) raisins and walnuts on the side and offers a great hot meal option
I highly recommend staying at this facility. They have a very friendly and helpful staff that know the area and can give suggestions if you are exploring. They have a a wonderful pool, , hot tub and other great amenities. They also have a shuttle to the restaurants in town.
We had a wonderful 7 nights stay. Hotel is very clean, front desk and housekeeping staff are courteous. Breakfast is good with plenty of options. Special thanks to Debra from dining room for making us warm waffles and filling our coffee cups every morning. They also packed us breakfast to go for our early morning flight. Close to Safeway and downtown restaurants. If we visit Glacier NP ever again, this is the place we will stay.
From the time we arrived until leaving we found the staff and hotel amenities at a high level. Staff were always professional and helpful. The courtesy bus was useful in the hotter days. Great place to stay in a beautiful part of the country.
This was a lovely hotel...family owned, very clean, modern & updated, fluffy new towels, every amenity, and friendly, helpful staff. I would definitely recommend this place. Also, close & easy to get to Glacier National Park, so a great alternative to staying on the park.
Our room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the wifi had a password- which I think is helpful for security. I liked the breakfast. It included egg disks which are good good for making breakfast sandwiches with the English muffins which were provided. The other usual stuff including muffins, pastries and make your own waffles. Didn't use the pool. The room had a wrapped extra blanket and pillow. We didn't use them but it seems like a good idea.
This Hotel was a wonderful place to stay. It wasn't close to town to enjoy it by walking. But they do offer a shuttle. The room was airy, clean & nice smelling. It fit our purposes perfectly. It was a little pricey but it was before Labor Day. They helped me with stamps for my post cards. They answered all our questions.
Family brings me to Whitefish MT at all times of the year. I have stayed at the Rocky Mountain Lodge several times over the last 2 years. Clean, accommodating, friendly staff, great breakfast and they accept my 4-legged travel companion with open arms. I will continue to visit and stay at this fine property.
Excellent hotel, staff is very courteous and breakfast is really great. Rooms are clean and very comfortable. Location is good right on highway 93, close to downtown. Only disappointment was the outdoor pool. Water was dirty with dead bugs.
Best Western has nice breakfasts that offered some variety and much cleanliness. Noise is an issue that can be resolved with repeated requests. Accessibility is good. Location to Glacier is a bit distant but surmountable.
We were on a motorcycle trip and this hotel provided an excellent series of free services. They have a motorcycle washing station with cleaning materials, free laundry facility, and free shuttle service to the downtown. area of Whitefish. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. This is a highly recommended hotel for travelers on motorcycles or cars.
Here is the excellence you expect at Best Western. I stayed here 20 nights. Really appreciate the breakfast and free newspaper. They offer friendly service, clean comfortable accommodations. Avoid staying in the area they refer to as the annex. It's bare bones and faces an alley.
Stayed here for five nights. The front desk clerks are knowledgeable of the area. The hotel is clean and quiet with amenities you would expect at more expensive properties. Breakfast is great with daily variety. Only downside is it's a few miles out of town. Who knows maybe Kalispell will grow their direction.
We stayed one night at Best Western, Whitefish, MT on August 3rd. It was a wonderful experience. The room was clean and modern. The staff at the front desk was professional, friendly, very helpful, and accommodating. We asked for a later checkout which was granted. We also needed a place to store our belongings for several hours after checkout, which was given to us. Thank you to all at Best Western who made our stay comfortable and much easier then it would have been otherwise.
My husband and I stayed 2 nights in July while on a road trip. We are Best Western Platinum members, so we seek them out. This property was clean and the staff was friendly, but an average room was well over $200/night for the 2 of us. We have stayed in much nicer Best Westerns for much less. The price would have been more acceptable if we had gotten a decent breakfast, but it was mediocre with watered down terrible coffee. Not a good price value for what they're offering.
The Best Western Rocky Mountain Lodge rocks! The hotel has been serving guests for a number of years, but you couldn't tell from the interior and exterior. The hotel is well maintained and the rooms are clean and comfortable, with all the amenities. It comes as a welcome change after staying in the Glacier National Park lodges with basic accommodations. The design of the room and bathroom stay true to the Montana setting, while still functional. Breakfast is well stocked and served by two lovely ladies each morning. While the hotel itself is good, what tops the experience is the people. The BW employees consistently greet you with a smile and ask how your stay has been. Nicole is such a wonderful person manning the front desk, always friendly and customer focused. She calls me by my first name and greets us with a big smile to ask us how the day went and if there was anything that she could do. Wayne is also another friendly face that drives the shuttle to and from the airport or downtown Whitefish. We have gotten personal service with Wayne during our stay. He's provided us with the local perspective on Montana daily living and has certainly convinced us to make another trip in the near future. During checkout, Kristen, the general manager, in true BW fashion, also asked how the stay was and was pleased to hear of our wonderful experience. Beyond the usual checkout experience, she took an extra step of getting to know her guests, where we were from and how our vacation was with tips on the next vacation. We highly recommend this hotel for visitors to Whitefish, Glacier National Park or anywhere else in the Big Sky.
I very much enjoyed my stay at Whitefish. I wish I could have had the same service at my other Best Western locations. The staff here was terrific! They were very helpful and courteous. I would stay here again.
Staff at the check I counter were awesome. Gave us early check in, told us about hotel shuttle to town, printed out directions for us, very helpful. Breakfast the next morning was included, and was very satisfying. There were several choices, and the dining area was spotless. The only reason I did not give an excellent is the pool area is very small, and feels like it is just part of the parking lot
Check in was fast, the staff was very understanding of our appearance (having been out in the back country exploring for a few days), everything was nice, clean and working in our rooms which made "getting back to civilization" much more enjoyable and hassle free.
Great clean hotel with excellent staff. Free cookies at check-in for the kiddos. breakfast was great with good selection and plenty of seating and attentive staff. Close to downtown and great location to Glacier National Park.
We stayed for a week. During our stay everything was great. Breakfast was good, staff (all the staff) is friendly and helpful. One of the ladies taking care of the breakfast one day was very informative about locations to visit in the area. Room was clean. The brochure information was helpful and the computer was convenient when I needed to print our boarding passes.
Had car trouble. Needed a place to stay way before normal check in time. Wes and Sam went out of their way to be nice. Stored baggage while we dealt with vehicle. A room was ready early. Had a very pleasant stay-quiet and comfy. Great breakfast!! Thank you to Wes and Sam and the great staff at Best Western. (and the vehicle was fixed quickly)
Not 5 star luxury--but clean, comfortable and a VERY helpful and friendly staff, particularly Dee, Sam and Tom. A great HQ for visiting Glacier National Park (25 miles away) and located near the center of a lovely, lively town (Whitefish). We would definitely stay here again.
We were placed in the annex behind the hotel, and while it was safe and clean, it was not worth $215 a night. On the bright side, it was close to both Whitefish and Glacier National Park, so from a convenience standpoint it was hard to beat. If you're thinking about staying here, definitely make sure your room is in the main lodge. It looked much nicer.
Travelling from Banff area to Glacier with a group via motor coach. Very nice accommodations. Close to evening eating options, and very good breakfast on-site. Friendly staff and efficient luggage handling for our group.
Nice place. Close enough to walk to downtown from, top notch front desk staff, and possibly the best hotel bed I have had the pleasure of not wanting to get out of. Next time I get to Whitefish, picking a hotel will be a no brainer.
Our family visited glacier National Park this July and stayed at Rocky Mountain Lodge in Whitefish Mt. We stayed there 9 years earlier when we visited. We were overwhelmed by the hospitality at this hotel. All the staff were professional, friendly and genuinely seemed to enjoy their job. The hotel is a little expensive but is worth the extra. The rooms are especially clean, modern and quiet. We will stay again.
Best Western Rocky Mountain Lodge made the start of our Glacier National Park visit great. We had a very relaxing time after several hours of flight time and driving. We got great rates for the 5 rooms we needed great accommodations. Everyone enjoyed the added benefit of a hot breakfast.
This hotel is about 30 minutes from west glacier. Rooms were nice size. Breakfast was good and staff was very helpful. They have free internet which worked well. They also have free parking and a small workout room. They have an outdoor pool. There are several good restaurants in the town of Whitefish within 10 minutes from the lodge.
This hotel is clean, up to date and filled with friendly and helpful staff. The location was convenient to downtown and the highway to Glacier Ntl Park. Despite one of the busiest tourist seasons so far, there wasn't a glitch in the service.
Very clean; excellent staff at check in. Beds were awesome. Breakfast room was large and set up well. Bike wash in rear of hotel was best I've seen. Had bucket, soap and towels. Even had Armorall! Would definitely come back.
the staff at the Inn are top notch and helped us get to and from each place we wanted to go, including getting to the airport at 4am after our flight was cancelled the day before. they all helped us with our room, luggage, to and from restaurants, made us a sack breakfast, and got us safely to our very early morning flight. they were so caring and genuine. Wayne, Wes, Melissa, Jen, Stuart and Quintin were all awesome. Room was clean, quiet and restful. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.
Probably the best lodging in town and only a few minutes drive by car to the centre where there is a very good choice of dining. The outdoor pool looks great for the kids. I would stay at this property again.
We often try to stay on the top floor of a hotel so that we don't hear people walking around but we forgot to do so for this hotel. We were in room 115, and could easily hear the person above us walking around from early in the morning until we checked out. The rooms are large and nice but for the price this hotel commands it was not a pleasant stay.
Excellent breakfast. Great room with a super bed which was comfortable. We used internet in lobby and a good location to find. Location of hotel and directions to find hotel. Large room and a very large television which we enjoyed.
Stayed after a day in Glacier. Whitefish is a good destination and the Rocky Mountain Lodge fits very well. It is a drive into downtown, but worth that to stay here. Very comfortable rooms, usual BW breakfast and a very helpful & friendly front desk. What's not to like ?
We had a great stay here. The room was everything we wanted and more. Close to Glacier National Park which we loved. The staff was extremely helpful. While having breakfast a child had a complete melt down and he threw his milk all over my husband who was sitting a table away. The staff help cleaned it up and couldn't have been any nicer or concerned. Would highly recommend staying here.
This hotel has super-clean, well-appointed rooms with pleasant, efficient staff, what's not to like? Very quiet setting. After our day at Glacier Park we fell into the comfortable beds and slept like logs.
We stayed four nights in this hotel. The staff was professional, courteous, and very willing to serve us. The room (Executive King) was large, nicely decorated, clean and modern. The only down side was it was advertised as having a view. It did, sort of, if you include the parking lot and several utility buildings behind it. But we weren't in the room too much. It was relatively convenient to GNP and far enough away to not be too crowded.
One of the best summertime hotel experiences ever. Inviting exterior and surprising interior as well. Comfy, laid back rustic western decor. Loved the canvas photos. The staff was awesome! They were welcoming, very helpful and enjoyable to talk too. The rooms were quite nice. The beds were so comfortable, best sleep I've had in a long time. Thanks for a great stay!. I will recommend this hotel to family & friends. Thumbs up!
It's clean, the staff are friendly, it's quite near downtown (we drove but you could probably also walk it easy enough), it's got everything you need. It's definitely one of the better Best Western's we've stayed at.
Reasonably priced, pet friendly, and pleasant/helpful staff. The rooms had all the amenities and the "mattresses" were VERY comfortable! This hotel was recently remodeled. The grounds are beautifully manicured. Located minutes from Whitefish. A very popular hotel so make reservations. Highly recommend.
After spending a few days backpacking in Glacier, my sister and I checked in to rest and rejuvenate. The staff knew it was my sisters Birthday and had a card, balloon, and a small gift waiting! They were very friendly and hospitality was great!
Excellent helpful staff, spacious well equipped rooms, guest laundry, swimming pool and spa. Best of the "free" breakfasts we have had with two adjacent coffee stalls for decent coffees! The walk to the pretty town not one you would really want to do so take the car as there is plenty of public parking
My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights with 2 of our grandchildren. The customer service was the best I have experienced. Everyone was wonderful and helpful. The breakfast area was spotless and ladies working it were so great with the grandkids and we're beyond friendly. I would suggest this hotel to everyone especially if traveling with children.
Above average BW!! Unbelievable staff. Warm greetings and they were extremely helpful with local things to do, resturant recommendations, and places to check out town. Great recommendations for Glacier NP. Highly recommend!!
I received a good rate and room was completely adequate for business trip. However the shower walls could have been cleaned more thoroughly...hair and stubble on shower walls. Internet was not extremely fast but fast enough. I would stay there again.
Had a fabulous stay at the Whitefish,Mt Rocky Mountain Lodge! The room was very comfortable. It was very functional and had everything that we needed. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent! Hot items as well as cereal and breads and muffins. I would stay again in a heartbeat! The pool was outside and one of the cleanest outdoor pools I have ever seen!!
We stayed at the BW on a whim and arrived to friendly, welcoming hotel staff. Fresh chocolate chip cookies, clean hot tub/pool, and comfortable room/beds. The photos on the wall were incredible and it was decorated so tastefully. Breakfast had many options (including gluten free) and again very helpful and friendly kitchen staff. We were very impressed with the "above and beyond" attitude of everyone, the cleanliness (even the remote controls were sanitized), and the overall feel of this place. It was a great stay and this is the first review I've ever written for a hotel or anything else! Great value.
What an amazing place to stay!! I was here on business and would stay here for any reason! Tremendous staff, great hotel and near the most amazing scenery in the U.S. Was a great experience through and through.
Most impressed with our room as well as the staff at the front desk and breakfast. Room was very clean and lots of room. Breakfast was great - different each day. Would definitely stay again and have pre-booked already for next year.
We'd stayed at this hotel in October 2013 so were pretty confident that we wouldn't be disappointed and we weren't. The lobby staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about GNP and even lent us a bear spray canister but alas, we had no use for it. The lobby has been re-furbished and looks better for it. The breakfast was the usual BW (high) standard and the hotel is one we would return to again and hopefully the GTTS road will be open for the entire length on that occasion.
One of the reasons we booked this hotel was that we were promised a shuttle to the Amtrak station on the morning of our departure. Since the shuttle driver came in at 7 and we need to be at the station by 6, we were at a loss. The hotel arranged a taxi for us, which we didn't mind, but then they picked up the tab for it as well! As far as the hotel itself, it was very comfortable, and the staff was very helpful in every respect. They even allowed us to grab a muffin (the morning buffet wasn't open yet) to take with us to the station. The hotel was located directly across the street from a Burger King, which came in handy since we had to turn in our rental car earlier that day and had no way to get anywhere else! Would DEFINITELY recommend this Best Western and would stay there again! Thank you to the very nice staff at this Best Western!
Very clean and warm feeling. I asked not to have my room cleaned after the first night of my 3 night stay. The maids acknowledged this by leaving a note and offering towels at the front desk, etc. Excellent stay
This was our second time staying at this property. As we come down from Alberta quite regularly to this area. It has a great location, and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We really liked that it had a free shuttle to downtown and they would come pick us up at anytime during the night. Will definitely stay again!
We were driving around looking for a place to stay, pricing out rooms with no technology, like the good old days. So I walk in and there was Brie, working the front desk. She was the sweetest kindest young lady. She made small talk with me even tho I was just checking for prices. To tell you the truth I don't care how much money this room was, I stayed here because of her hospitality. That young lady made this whole trip for me. She looked at me and genuinely said "welcome to Whitefish". It made me feel like I was home in this town. I will be back and I will tell people to come here. Thank you Brie, kep up the good work, you can only go up from here!
VERY VERY CLEAN and well appointed facility, LARGE rooms. Cookies awaiting on arrival. The staff were very helpful and "Nicole" is a riot!!! Breakfast was hot and tasty. We were on a motorcycle and were offered a ride/shuttle if needed to get us to the heart of town. Only down side was we wanted our window open on third floor AND sadly since smokers are out at the entryway their smoke wafted up and into our room so we could not have our window open.
tastefully appointed, immaculate, good beds, spacious room, reasonable rates, staff friendly, breakfast average for chains (not "cooked to order") but adequate - closest good restaurant 1 mile but a nice walk down a residential street (buffalo grill - excellent food)
Accommodating and friendly staff. We had been traveling and exploring for several days so my wife needed retail therapy. The ladies at the front desk were very eager to help. While my wife shopped they sent Alice to come and clean the room. She did a great job and was very helpful. If you do not want to drive here through Glacier take Hwy 2 it is a eautiful drive.
The welcoming lobby told me we made a great fine. We had traveled a great distance that day and found out that nothing was opened at Glacier National Park. We visited Glacier National Park and then needed to find a place to stay. Jennifer was friendly and check in went very fast. We got to our room and the room was spacious and very relaxing. Even the bathroom soap, shampoo etc was a higher quality. The breakfast room for the free breakfast in the morning was larger than most and there was a nice variety of food. I would stay there again if I return to White Fish.
The Staff made sure my stay was comfortable. The room was very clean. The breakfast had a good variety. Many things to pick from including fresh fruit. It was close to what I needed and provided a shuttle to down town for dining options. I will go back for another great experience.
I wrote a long review directly to the Best Western feedback site, so I will not be pasting that onto this, as it really is a long review. I will say this, though. In May 2015 I got married. A couple days into our honeymoon, we ventured into Whitefish, MT from Olympia, WA and came across this Best Western. The two nights we stayed here were absolutely perfect. All the staff, the amenities, the look of the facility inside and out, the housekeeping, the breakfast and pool, everything. I honestly could not point out one bad or something that was even just average. All the features you would want in a hotel were present during our stay 11 months ago. And guess what? 11 months later (in April 2016) we stayed 2 more nights, and our visit went exactly the same. You feel welcomed upon opening that first door. Staff members like the ones here are why people like my wife and I will return every single year for our anniversary vacation. I am not making up this stuff. I will not even think to stay in another place when vacationing in Whitefish, and my wife feels the exact same. Do yourself a favor and book your nights with this location. That's really all I have to say about it.
Very competitive rate, easy accessible location and very comfortable. I will definitely stay here again. The continental breakfast had a great selection of food that was a good way to start my day. I don't stay in this area very often, but it is my first choice when I arrive in this area.
Visiting Whitefish on a early season fishing trip. The hotel is newly remodeled and a great value. Lobby was still under remodel but nothing to interfere with our stay. Free breakfast is a nice touch but your usual hotel free breakfast. Coffee was good and that is really all I need in the morning.
Had a room with king bed, was above expectations. Very clean and plenty of room. My only issue was that my room was next to the stairs and I could hear the pounding of feet of other guests as they went up and down. Front desk staff was great, breakfast was decent. Should be even nicer when the remodeling is complete.
Excellent ground base when visiting the Glacier area. Location is close to downtown. Complimentary shuttle service from the airport. The staff is amazing! Very personable, and informative on local places to eat and activities to do. Will definitely be back!
Spent two nights here during a ski trip. Lobby was being renovated, but that didn't interrupt our stay. The staff was extremely friendly at the temporary front desk. Rooms were very big, which was nice with the extra stuff that goes along with a ski trip. I found the beds to be very comfortable, the shower was excellent, bathrooms were clean, etc. Free wi-fi worked very well. The breakfast was above average for sure. I was impressed that the girl handling breakfast came out to greet each person as they arrived. There is also a washer/dryer available, if you need it. It's about a 15 min. drive to Whitefish Resort. They have a shuttle van to/from downtown Whitefish (5 min. drive). I would definitely stay here again.
Lovely BW Hotel located in Whitefish, MT. The location is close to Glacier NP and took us only 30 minutes or less to be at the entrance. Also, in just a few short minutes we were able to visit downtown Whitefish and choose our dinner location. The Hotel itself is clean and we enjoyed a lovely suite. Breakfast is also included with your stay and offered a nice selection. I would recommend this hotel.
Shout out to Nicole! We reserved with booking.com and on our arrival, they did not have our reservation. After many attemps to figure what has happen to our reservation and calling booking.com, she finaly found our reservation. For all the hassle, she upgrated us to a deluxe room and left the spa open an extra half our for us. She did her everything to satisfy us. Great service!
Our Special Olympic team stays here every year during the Winter Games. The service is incredible from the time we start making reservations through our entire stay. All of the employees are kind and helpful. They went out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant stay.
This was our 2nd visit to this hotel and we were equally pleased as we were the first time - and in fact, they upgraded us to one of their king rooms that had a fireplace. The room was clean, it had nice decor, and was actually a very large room. Also, the reception desk staff was very helpful and friendly. We really enjoy staying here and plan to return in two weeks.
The hotel's pretty, but my room was super noisy so I left in just a few hours. I completely understood, they were fully booked. Then things got weird. The hotel kept calling me a few weeks later when I was back home in Seattle, not leave a message, and then deny they had called me. "Nobody called you from here." I was like, "Yes, you did, your number appears in my phone log as a missed call." This happened about five times. I don't entirely understand what was going on. But if you get a quiet room, it seemed like a good place to stay.
This is a very nice hotel. It is quiet, clean and comfortable. It looks like this hotel is close to Glacier and Skiing. The room was nice, clean and quiet. The bathroom was nice and big. The water pressure in the shower was good, but the was a squeek when the shower ran in room 323. The staff was very very nice. I would stay here again. Oh, I was surprised to learn they allowed animals in the hotel and not just dogs. I didn't bring an animal with me, but I know it can be hard to find place that allow pets sometime.
Friendly, very helpful staff!! Everyone said Hi!, could they help us... They found us a great restaurant, had stamps for postcards and even a laundry for when one has been traveling too long! Room was very clean, quilts were thick, mattresses very good, a small fridge and microwave in room... Even real coat hangers! Solid, dependable place to stay.
Our flight was canceled so we booked an overnight stay. We were pleased with the quick shuttle service from the airport. I enjoyed the outdoor heated pool and hot tub. The staff was helpful and friendly. There are two shuttle options from the motel onto the SNOW bus, which takes you to Whitefish mountain for skiing or into town for dinner. The Motel also has their own shuttle to town, which we were pleased with that service as well.
Stayed one night. Everything was good enough for the most part although there was no fan in the bathroom and breakfast was a disappointment. Outside pools were nice but could have been a bit warmer. Good location on the edge of town.
We stayed 8 nights during Christmas break - wife and 2 teenage daughters. Price was reasonable for that time period considering they had a great breakfast available. Every employee was super nice, conscientious, and rooms were clean with good beds and furniture. Fresh cookies each afternoon at the front desk was a nice touch and welcome after a full day of skiing. With hallway and downstairs furniture scattered around the girls didn't feel they had to "stay holed up" in the hotel room at night with mom and dad. We will definitely stay here again! I never bother writing reviews but felt our favorite little ski town deserved one for this hotel.
I stay at a lot of hotels for my job, and this is the first one that offered a doggie blanket in the room so she doesn't have to sleep on the carpet..but a little padded blanket! Thanks so much it made all the difference in the world to both of us!
I stayed here for 4 nights while skiing and exploring the area. My king room was spotless, well appointed, and quiet. The rooms look like they are recently updated and provided all the amenities. The staff was always friendly and eager to please. Any questions were answered knowledgeably and efficiently. The breakfast was typical motel fare, but everything was fresh and nicely presented. I will be staying here again when I am in Whitefish.
Nice Hotel, friendly staff, poor breakfast. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable about the area. My room was excellent and cozy. Within walking distance to downtown Whitefish, which is a great little town. This hotel needs to improve their breakfast. The room that it is in is pretty harsh first thing in the morning and the food options are limited and pretty poor quality.
Everything was excellent for my stay at the BW Rocky Mountain Lodge. Staff was super friendly and went out of their way to help and offer extras. Shuttle to/from train and downtown was prompt and comfortable. I definitely recommend this hotel.
We chose to stay in this hotel largely because of its claim to be outstandingly clean. It was not perfect, but it was pretty close! Well done! We were on a two month road trip around the USA, and it was ever so nice to be in a place where someone obviously cared about how the rooms were cleaned and presented. Sadly, this was not our experience in very many of the hotels in which we stayed, despite promising reviews. The staff here were also friendly and the breakfast was reasonable as well. Only the coffee was a bit disappointing. Overall, though, congratulations to management and staff for caring about your hotel. You deserve to do well.
Visiting Whitefish, Mt for the second time this year and again I stayed at the Best Western Rocky Mountain Lodge. Friendly staff, very clean room, excellent bed and a free breakfast. Was only going to stay one day ended up being two front desk was great in letting me stay in the same room. And the price was great both in the summer and again just past the 1st of the new year!
Our stay was fantastic up until checkout. The staff were very helpful upon check in; they informed us about the shuttle schedule, available taxis, pool and breakfast hours ect. However, after checking out I noticed a random amount being charged to my credit card. Apparently is was a fee for room damage. When I called the front desk to ask about this fee and inquire on the damage -- no one could give me a straight answer. They also couldn't provide any photos or evidence that anything even happened. There were three girls staying in that room and when we left there were no damages. More importantly the hotel didn't DOCUMENT anything!
This hotel met our needs perfectly as we were in town to ski. The hot tub and pool were a little awkward getting to but overall the hotel was great being conveniently located near down town was a benefit as well. I would definetly recommend this hotel to friends.
We have stayed at this location on a few separate occasions. The staff are extremely helpful and kind, the hotel is clean in all areas, and the price is affordable. We love this hotel and will continue to stay here every time we come to Whitefish!!
We upgraded our room to include a fireplace. The room was well worth the price. Room was large with a separate lounge area with fireplace, couch and side chair. The king side bed was extremely comfortable. Luggage carts are as good as they get.
Staff across the hotel were simply fantastic. Stuck in tow a few days extra than planned. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. Will stay here every time from now on when I visit. Rooms were very clean and large. Even a shuttle to boot you around town if needed
A quick trip to Polebridge required a stopover in Whitefish. So many choices. Saw the Best Western on Trip Advisor and booked a room. Very nice facility. Clean and comfortable with excellent staff. The location was good as it was just out of downtown.
We enjoyed our overnight stay with our pet. The facility was clean and appealing - the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and good sized , , , good water pressure in the shower. The only reason I did not give this an "excellent" rating is that the bed was awful . . . way too soft, and the coverings were too heavy to be comfortable . . . made for a lousy night's sleep. The location was close to town and not at all noisy . . . easy in, easy out.
Located about ¾ hour driving from Glacier NP we booked this hotel as the accommodation in the park were either full or too basic. We stayed here 2 nights. This hotel was one of the better rated in Whitefish, but we were a little bit disappointed about the reception staff and the breakfast. The bf is free, but i'd rather pay for for a better one. The receptionist could have been more friendly. The room was okay but overalI found the value overrated.
Nice people, and everyone was friendly and helpful. Would recommend this hotel if traveling through Whitefish or visiting Glacier Park. .We were here for a short weekend and the staff was helpful and had useful information.
Great location just outside of the downtown area of Whitefish, Montana. The facility was immaculate and very inviting. The personnel were more than just courteous, they were like visiting family, and the breakfast was very diverse.
Stay here couple of time love staying at best western Rocky Mountain it very good place to live in the room were clean and comfortable the tables were well polish and my sheet was pretty clean even the bathroom were well set up would recommend this place if you interested staying there
We stayed at the Best Western Rocky Mountain Lodge in Whitefish for 1-night in late Oct ($88). The lodge, located on Hwy 93 (the main N-S artery) just S of downtown, has 2 sections: the main hotel, which is typical of the Best Western style, and the annex, a small 2-story wood-frame motel unit located in the back. Our king room in the annex was typical for the BW chain, with a comfortable bed, stylish furnishings and decorations, and the normal accessories (mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, small flat-screen TV). The sink and vanity were near the entry way; the adjacent bathroom was dated and small. At the front of the building there was a “Hog Wash” for washing motorcycles. There was a small pool with a long, narrow hot tub at the rear of the hotel between the main building and the annex – a nice spot to catch the late afternoon sun. The complementary breakfast was good, with spiced egg wraps, sausage patties, muffins, yogurts, juices and coffees. A Safeway is located 2-blocks to the north. Downtown, a short drive away, has a good selection of bars and restaurants. We choose the Best Western and Whitefish for their convenience to Glacier National Park. Unfortunately, the hotel did not provide good value for the price due to the quality of the annex and the generally high prices in Spearfish. The annex's major failings reflect its age and history, no doubt, as an old style motel. The wood-frame construction meant a lot of noise between rooms and floors and a poor night's sleep. It was quite disappointing for a Best Western – really little more than a dressed-up Motel 6. For a trip to the park, you would do better skipping Whitefish and making Kalispell your base – almost as close to the Park and the prices are lower.
Stayed here while visiting Glacier National Park. Very clean and nice rooms. Staff is friendly. I like that they are a pet friendly hotel! Would stay again! Is convenient location if going to Glacier National Park. The town of Whitefish is a cute town and very easy to get around in. Lots of food choices.
This hotel was our last stop before traveling home from Glacier National Park. We were taking the train home out of Whitefish and had to return our car to the airport in Kalispell. This hotel has an airport shuttle, so we returned our car and then called the desk at the Rocky Mountain Lodge to request their shuttle. They were at the airport in less than 10 minutes to pick us up. The driver asked if he could give us the "scenic tour" of the Whitefish area and of course we said yes. (We were in no hurry to get to the hotel) He was so proud of his city and was able to give us a little history of the town. When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by a very friendly desk staff. They told us about the shuttle that would drop us off downtown, recommended some local restaurants, and asked us if there was anything else we needed. We set up our morning shuttle to the train station at this time too. The first shuttle usually leaves at 7:00 AM, however they made special arrangements for us to leave at 6:50 AM so we could get our luggage checked in at the depot before the ticket desk closed. They also welcomed us into the breakfast area 10 minutes before the usual opening time. After a full meal at "The Bulldog Pub" downtown we met the shuttle at the pick up spot and went back to the hotel. We had three different drivers during our short stay and they were all awesome. We wanted to play cards for a bit when we returned, so we asked if we could use one of the tables in the breakfast lounge. He not only said yes, but he turned on all of the lights for us, personally brought us some warm chocolate chip cookies and restocked the hot chocolate packets so we could make some hot chocolate. We felt like kings and queens. If I owned a hotel, I would want this staff working for me. 5 STARS for the staff and the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Whitefish area.
No room is worth $206.10 a night unless it has a lot of amenities. This was a Best Western, so draw your own conclusions. Some are great, some are mediocre, some are really bad. This one was good as far as quality of rest and quiet was concerned, but over-priced. It was, however, about average price for a room in this area, although I still felt gouged. I know that the area is popular, etc., but I wonder where other people of lesser means can go. Breakfast, was another matter. Jimmy Dean Sausage sandwiches the first day, and burritos (not very tasty and too cheesy) the second. There was a tour bus staying there, but I expected eggs, meat, etc. for $206 per night, not microwave food.
Very conveniently located on the main road from Kalispell to Whitefish the Rocky Mountain Best Western has large, comfortable rooms with good beds. It's very clean and the staff is very friendly. I recommend it if you're visiting this area.
They had a great free breakfast option with choice of waffles, eggs, bagels, oatmeal, etc. The hotel was close to town and have a shuttle service to take you into town, they had a very friendly staff, especially the breakfast staff and really clean rooms. Real easy check in , check out. Highly recommend it.
We recently spent a week in Whitefish Montana, and stayed at the Best Western Rocky Mountain Lodge. We were very impressed with the hotel. The staff went out of their way to assist us in a variety of ways. They helped us determine which restaurants were good choices to visit. They assisted us by giving directions to events, golf courses and places to eat. Two young gentlemen at the front desk were especially helpful - Wes and Tyler. A young lady whose name we neglected to get was also a great help. Our room was very comfortable with excellent air flow. The beds were excellent! Above all the room was spotless. In fact, the entire hotel was exceptionally clean. There is no doubt we will stay here if we return to Whitefish! A great hotel!
We were expecting a run-of-the-mill room, especially since we paid with points. We got a complete suite for the equivalent of $89. Separate bedroom, fireplace, sofa, 2 TVs, kitchenette, and a gigantic bathroom. This is where we'll be staying when we're in the Kalispell/Glacier area.
We have stayed here a couple times in the past and always had an excellent stay. This time was no different. They were recently bought up which is usually a bad thing. Not this instance. The bathrooms were all given a face lift, bedding too. Rooms have always been spacious. Hard to make them bigger!! The breakfast/ conference room is the next to be worked on. The front desk staff is even friendlier than ever and there to help anyway they can. Their van will pick you up at the airport with advance notice or take you downtown (only a mile away). There are two more Hotels going in so maybe they are just stepping up to the upcoming competition. There is a full hot breakfast every morning with real plates and silverware. The breakfast staff could not be more attentive. The cleaning staff is also friendly and waiting to help. Real nice stay. Would definitely return.
My husband, border collie & I enjoyed an extended stay in clean ground floor dog friendly room, with two always comfy Queen size beds . Staff welcomed all of us, especially our pup who got leftovers from breakfast & lots of daily. Friendly & kind staff. I appreciated availability of gluten free bread for toast ; would also other options eg hard boiled eggs, sugar free cold cereal. Learned that get best rates the longer ahead you book on line.
