Best Western Springfield West Inn

You kind of know what you're getting when you book at Best Western. It's not going to be stellar, but it's not going to ruin your day, either. That was my experience. The mornings and night staff were friendly. The room was okay. For the most part, it was clean, except for a small stain on one of the bed covers and a red smear on the front of the sink. There was a microwave, fridge, and coffee maker, which was nice. The dresser's drawers were broken, but the nightstand's drawer worked. The TV was nice, and Internet and premium channels (at least HBO) were included. The toilet had a very low power flush and a couple of tiles in the shower were cracked, but the shower itself was fine, and the toiletries were nice. The bed was comfy, and the thermostat for the room worked great. Breakfast was included and consisted of your typical continental breakfast options: coffee/tea, fruit, yogurt, pastries, bagels, muffins, and a waffle maker. There were also sausage links and hard boiled eggs (the eggs looked like they had seen better days). Everything I had was delicious. Overall, I'd say 3.5-4/5.

This was the worst hotel experience that we've had yet. The original reserved room smelled like somebody was a heavy smoker. They moved us to another room, and the bathroom wreaked of sewage. This second room was a handicapped room, and there was a door connecting the adjacent room, which allowed noise to penetrate and echo very loudly into our room. The party staying in that room were talking loud, playing loud music, and drinking. We waited until 2:00 am, hoping that it would stop, but we could take no more. We ended up driving the 2 hours to get back home. This is the first time that we've ever come to the point of no return during a hotel stay. It had to be pretty bad, seeing that we left and were willing to miss out on the free breakfast, LoL! On top of this, the hotel management never even called or emailed after we left our complaint along with our phone # and email address.

I loved everything about this hotel -the cleanliness, gym, breakfast, internet, TV, microwave, coffee in the room. I was thrilled and wished that I could have stayed longer. It was worth every penny spent on this trip. I will definitely stay here again should I visit this area next time.

The location is convenient from the highway, parking was easy, our check in went very smoothly (we were given a room on the floor of our choice), the room was very clean (extra towels quickly provided), our bed was comfortable for a good night's sleep. Several restaurants were convenient nearby. So why 4 stars instead of 5? This is a well kept older building, the bathroom is very small, the sink is in the entryway, and breakfast choices were more limited than we have had offered in other Best Western hotels. (However, we did have plenty of hot food to eat.) Would we stay here again? Absolutely, for a night while passing through town; if we were in the area for a few days we would probably look for something with a few more amenities like a larger bathroom, better breakfast and maybe a pool.

I had a very nice stay at the Best Western in Western Springfield. The hotel is in a good location close to a lot of attractions. The staff is very nice and helpful. The room was clean and cozy. The breakfast is very good with lots of choices. Price is very reasonable.

I love coming to this best western. Staff is friendly and rooms are always super clean. Everything is really great! Lobby area is also clean!! If you are looking for a less expensive hotel, please stay here!

Disappointed with our 1 night stay. Checked in & found out the elevator was broken. Dirty bedding in full view using the stairs to 2nd floor. Chester drawers in our room didn't close. Just not up to our standards!

We have stayed in many Best Westerns and Springfield did not disappoint; reliable, clean and comfortable with pleasant and friendly staff. A convenient place to lay our heads enroute to our leaf-peeping tour of VT

.Location for the Big E was good but I noticed there were many other hotels on that strip (Route 5) in West Springfield. The hotel is quite old, the pool is outdoor, not indoor. Keurig in the lobby. Water pressure was bad - moldy bathroom, even the shower curtain had mold.

Required copy of my driver's license and refused our stay if we didn't give it to them. We refused. Broken elevator, they had us on the 4th floor. Clerk asked if that was ok? How do you answer that? Dirty run down lobby, boxes piled in back of reception.

Generally a decent hotel. Have stayed here a number of times in the past and things seem to be becoming a little run down. Starting to need some general maintenance repairs that are quite obvious. Staff is always friendly & helpful. We will most likely stay there again. Just hoping the needed repair issues are addressed. Conveniently located for our needs.

The room and linens were clean. Bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good and kept stocked. The staff was friendly and helpful. Building a bit older but not a problem since everything was kept clean.

Really no complaint as I was very pleased with my stay. I will definitely Stat at this hotel again. The only thing I was not too happy about was the water pressure. Had to hold down toilet handle for water to go down.

Filthy and in a very bad area. The doors not secure from outside and anyone can wonder in. There is no Lobby. rooms rugs old and dirty. My room was not clean and mice poop in microwave.there are rat traps around building and bowls of cat food. Breakfast room tables were dirty. Outside was drug addicts and homeless in parking lot. The pictures on website are totally misleading and most were not of this location. The pool are is on street and closed possibility of condemned. Was afraid to walk to my car.?

In owning a successful business for over 40 years I have never see such dis respect after paying for reservations and court w feel the same and to treat cust who support your business so you can stay open and pay your bills

The hotel has lovely decor and is clean.The rooms are large and have ample accommodations. love the pillows...breakfast had a good selection and was good and filling. Front desk clerks might need a bit more training and encouragement

relatively close to Mass Mutual Center. Clean room. Internet worked well. Good breakfast. Only problem I had was poor drainage in shower & sink. Was only there for a single night, so didn't report problems.

Overall, this hotel was a decent value. It had one one of the lowest prices with decent reviews. Check in was super easy and we were allowed into our room at 1:30 even though check in was 3:00. We appreciated this as we had to be somewhere at 3:00. The hotel was super quiet and at its busiest it had maybe 12 cars in the lot. Our room was fairly clean. The bed, bath/shower and toilet were very clean. There were no noticeable stains on the tile, carpet or furniture. We did notice a dirty hand print and a few other spots on the back of the bathroom door and a little mildew on the ceiling in the bathroom. The bathroom itself is very small but functional. The sink area (single sink) was outside the bathroom. We found the beds and pillows to be comfortable. We had a king room and it had a fridge and microwave. The lamp shade on the desk was falling apart (probably knocked over by a previous guest), but the other two lamp shades were fine. I noticed some crumbs/dirt in the corners of the room and a French fry and some wrappers behind the entertainment center that were overlooked by housekeeping. Overnight, we slept great and it was quiet. We went down to breakfast at 8:30 (they close at 9:00). There was no worker to be found in the breakfast area. The eggs and sausage were almost gone. There were no plates. We used a couple of the few remaining bowls left. They had waffles, but since we didn't have plates, we did not make one. There were a few muffins left (banana nut and bran). I had the banana nut and it was good. I thought the bagel tasted "off" so I didn't finish eating it. The cushions on the chairs in the breakfast room need a good cleaning too as many were soiled. Overall, breakfast was okay, just not the quality we are used to. We would stay here again for a night, maybe two at the most, if the price was similar.

I had time a pleasant time while I stayed there. I was able to accomplish everything that I had planned for the weekend. The hardest part was crossing over the highway to get there because I was on the wrong side of the street.

My biggest problem was with the cleanness of this hotel. Toilets, bathtubs, light switches, and furniture are visibly stained upon check in. Pillows also lightly stained due to excessive use and lack of replacement. Average breakfast with microwaved eggs and sausages. A selection of bagged bagels and muffins. Fairly quiet, depending on who is next door.

The hotel was very close to the Big E! where we had spent the afternoon and evening. It was easy to get to and check-in was quick. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was limited but adequate. K-cup coffee is OK, better than instant coffee machines found at some hotels. The hotel is not fancy, but for one night was all we needed.

You walk into the room and at first it looks great. Then you notice the ceiling paint pealing off above the microwave & shower, the toilet rocking back and forth, loose from its floor mount, and the caked-on dust & grime on the lampbase, phone and clock by the bed. A bit more attention to details and this hotel could be tops.

We stayed just one night at the BW Springfield West, as we made our way from Cleveland, Ohio to Saco, Maine and overall the hotel was fine. It wasn't outstanding, but it wasn't terrifying. There was 7 of us and we had three rooms. We were disappointed that the pool was closed, as that had been our evening plan to unwind at the outdoor pool. Our rooms were ok...maybe a little outdated, and the two double beds were really tough in accommodating 4 people. I wish hotels just had queens, instead of doubles. Alycia at check in was absolutely fantastic. She was friendly and helpful. We didn't want to get back in the car to go to dinner and there is nothing within walking distance, so she gave us a few recommendations on where we could order in...and then very kindly opened the breakfast room for us to eat our dinner in. Breakfast was decent--we all really liked the pancake machine! This isn't somewhere I'd want to stay more than a night or two, but it was perfectly fine for our quick overnight stay! And Alycia made it even more pleasant.

The room was very dated. The bathroom tiles were falling off the wall & the ceiling was peeling. The common areas were dirty & cluttered. The breakfast was a joke. Best Western should be embarrassed to have their name on the building!

The staff was very friendly, the room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The continental breakfast was more than I expected. good value for the price and I would definitely stay here again.

I've stayed at other hotels in the area but this best western has been best. It's always my first choice but sometimes it's booked and I have to go elsewhere. The young woman at the front desk was great. We had a lot of fun talking with her. She was very pleasant to deal with.

Just what I needed. Great location, friendly staff, comfortable room. Room had all the necessities. Heating/cooling was excellent, easy to use and quiet. The Wi-Fi could have been a bit better but all in all very happy.

Do not eat the breakfast! Ask for a room away from the elevator, linen room, and staff rooms. Housekeeping staff were staying at this hotel and were quite loud late at night. The breakfast was disgusting and they did not even have fresh brewed coffee… only a machine.

Very dirty, especially everything you have to touch. It seemed to be a place you could rent by the hour. I heard the couple 2 doors down. I will not stay again. The worst Best Western I have ever stayed in.

Very nice place at a reasonable price. Great location. One of the cleanest places we've ever stayed at. We go to the area every year, and this is the nicest property we have ever been to. Very friendly people and excellent service at a great price.

I always try to stay at a Best Western when we travel but this time I was a little disappointed. I understand the epidemic has affected everyrhing but..... Our room was not the cleanliness I would have expected. There were condiments, cups & coffee packets but no coffeemaker! Or microwave! The fridge was a little better than we usually see in a motel room. The sign in the lobby said we could get Grab & Go breakfasts but when we asked we were told there weren't any. It was in a good location, close to everything and the interior looked like it had recently been remodeled. Bed was comfy and lots of pillows!

Room was adequate but smelled musty. Half roll of toilet paper. Broken air conditioner unit. But the worst was someone beating on the door at 10:40am asking if we were checking out. Checkout was 11 and we were finishing up to go checkout. She rudely asked if we planned to spend another night because if we weren't staying, checkout was in 20 minutes. Staff seemed a bit rude, perhaps stressed.

Do not stay there- dirty socks in the room and even after we complained they did not remove them. Fridge and TV did not work and shower drainage was awful . Would not even be worth half the price! Management did not care and scary during a pandemic the rooms were that filthy! A shame as it is close to the Big East, but better to drive than room in filth!

The lady in the morning and the gentleman are really nice but in the late evening the receptionist that took over was very rude. So of course my son decides to go over to the front desk and request some towels and he ask for six. Instead of just giving him the towels as he requested. Mind you he's only 15. She decides to ask him how many people are in the room because only two people should be in the room. She asked him a few other things but by the time he came to tell me he was a little nervous because he knew I was going to be upset. So maybe in the mother that I am I go all the way up there and I ask her what exactly is your problem and why are you questioning my son. She says because there's only supposed to be two people in the room I said how could that be when I registered for people. The receptionist continues to say well there's only supposed to be two people I said will give me my damn money back because I registered four. Then the receptionist says OK well don't worry about it. If you register the four people don't worry about it. Mind you throughout this whole conversation she never once looked at my reservation. Besides that the toilet kept clogging I had to keep on clocking in and yes I did reported in the easier offer to moveBut I didn't wanna go through the hassle of moving everything for four people.

Rooms were clean and beds were comfy. Our favorite was the incredibly hot shower and the wonderful toiletries. What wasn't impressive was the included breakfast. The scrambled eggs and sausage links were bone cold, powdered coffee creamer just didnt help the marginal coffee and we had to flag down help to change the OJ machine. Upon arriving every table required wiping down before sitting. 2nd day we went out to breakfast to avoid the free breakfast offered.

Hotel staff very pleasant and helpful. Remembered us from a past stay. Was always willing to help or offer even a kind word. Breakfast wasnt always stocked but as soon as you mentioned it they were willing to make more. Safety policies were good, and the internet worked well. We did have an issue with the remote this trip, but other than that no issues. Excellent hotel and staff.

Recently two of us stayed here for two nights while attending an event at the nearby Big "E". The staff were very helpful and friendly. The lobby, room and breakfast areas were bright and clean. Our room as spacious and the beds comfortable. The sink was outside the bathroom so both of us could get ready in the morning with no waiting to get into the bathroom. Very convenient. Plenty of hot water and good temperature control in the room. The free continental breakfast was good. Reasonably priced. We will be back.

Nice clean hotel. Room was adequate a little small for us as we generally get a suite. The hotel is situated near many restaurants, gas stations and stores. Our Inn Keeper Lori was very pleasant and helpful. We had to move our arrival date by a day because of weather and she simply did it even though we had exceeded the cancellation policy I think. That is the type of service that keeps us coming to Best Western! Lori was also very helpful with our plans to visit the nearby Dr. Suess museum a nice diversion. Thanks Lori Breakfast was a little sparse but adequate hot and tasty. We will stay again!

It was the worst set-up I have ever seen for a handicapped Shower And I', an ex Personal Care attendant for the Disabled ! Water got everywhere and my wife was a bit distressed for a while as it made her feel rather helpless that she couldn't deal with the shower by herself and that she needed my help.

headed out for a sunday trip to see some historic homes open for the season and stopped off at this property. Very nice and convenient facility, just off the highway; compact but not clostraphobic, functional amenities and properly appointed room decor. When in the Springfield area do make this lodging your go to choice

This hotel is very nice, muchbetter than most of the others in the area. As a traveling salesman, I stay at hotels over 200 nights a year, and this Best Western went out if their way to ensure a perfect stay. Plenty of parking, nice lobby, well-furnished big rooms that are immaculate and a comfy bed. WiFi throughout works great and a good breakfast for free.

I accidentally booked a handicap room. I told the front desk if there was any other openings for rooms that I didn't want the handicap room. He denied it ( well until I offered to pay for it) He also was asking why I was staying there tonight and then he proceeded to ask me why I want to change the room. Just felt uncomfortable being that while being in the first room 108 right behind the check in desk, I could hear the front desk talking, so I'm sure they could hear me talking (I felt like it wasn't as private), he wasn't willing to change my room even after I offered to pay for another room. When I did offer to pay , he proceeds to say that he actually has some openings but it won't let him change it. I told him forget it and just stood in the room. When I went to close the shades, there was about a 2 inch gap where people in the parking lot could clearly see inside the room. All I wanted was to get some rest and a private place to sleep. I was frustrated that I also used my Expedia points on this and I couldn't even get a room change even when I offered to pay for it.

This is our second visit and we will return. Since we try to visit friends in the area it is convenient. Rooms were clean. Breakfast area very clean and items are fresh. Eggs,sausage,waffles, Muffins, bagels, cereal. Everything you need .

We stay here once or twice a year on business..the staff always remembers us and our requests. The hotel is comfortable and clean and a great price point with wifi and breakfast included. Close to the BigE and shopping plazas, and restaurants. 4th floor plenty quiet on busy street. Stay here for great value

Just another hotel. Asides from being thanked for being a member, received nothing else at check in, and desk person could not give me a receipt for the stay at check out. House keeping was ok only skipped refilling the coffee service 1 day!

Upon arrival we received a friendly welcome and check-in. We were told about all the amenities available and times for breakfast etc. and we had a test at the end of the check in which was fun and light-hearted. Our room was presented to a high standard, with comfortable beds. When we were going out for dinner we met the staff again and found that we were singers and so we gave them a song and enjoyed it very much. Parking was easy and free as well as the check-out process. Would recommend 100%.

My family chose the leisurely drive along Route 5 for the changing of the leaves but we also wanted to be close enough to modern conveniences so this BW fitted the bill. Nice staff, clean rooms, and terrific breakfast. Only a 10 minute drive to MGM Springfield and plenty of restaurants in the area. It's too late for this year but we're thinking of booking this place for next year's Big E too.

Memorable because everyone from the check in desk to the room attendant were so nice and helpful. The facility was well maintained and the rooms very clean and quiet. Over all, a very pleasant experience

Rooms were clean and spacious. Staff were kind and professional. Great place if you are traveling for work, or a quick vacation. The manager is present at the hotel and is always willing to assist you in any way. My husband and I were very pleased!!!!

This hotel is in a busy area but it is quiet in the rooms and has a very pleasant staff. The price is reasonable. The breakfast room has a good selection. Ask for a room toward the back of the property since this hotel is close to the highway.

Everything in room was covered in dust, floors looked unvacumed. Breakfast was microwaved frozen eggs and sausage with dry bagels. I booked room as prepaid to get discount, but when checking in they said no payment applied. Caused confusion and front desk was not helpful.

The hallways are very well lit. The room was very clean and quiet. What I don't like is sitting on chairs with dirty upholstery. That was the case in the breakfast room. It just looks bad and gives a dirty feeling. The breakfast didn't thrill me. It seemed skimpy as in the bare minimum was put out. Also low quality with regards to cold cereals offered. Clean up upholstery and make the breakfast more appealing and this would be an excellent review. Would consider staying again.

The staff were all very nice and friendly to speak with. The place was very clean and it included pretty much everything you could possibly need for a stay including a self serve breakfast from 6 to 10 with a wide selection of items and even a washer and dryer if you need it. I picked this hotel because they do not allow pets so no worries associated with that. When it comes to the condition and cleanliness of everything it rates very well against some nice 5 star hotels I've stayed at recently. I never stayed at a Best Western before but I would stay there again if I am in the area.

Stayed here in early September, room was clean and the lobby was nice the hotel is in a nice location with plenty of food options very close. we were only there overnight but the check in and out process was easy and the area seems very safe

Close to everything,nice hotel, helpful front desk,clean rooms,real comfy bed..gotta keep typing because I have to come up with two hundred characters to be able to submit this review..wow still not enough..this should do it!

1st complaint was lack of USB access in room. Used USB on TV to charge phone, but had to leave the power on all night. Turned TV around due to excessive glowing from screen. 2nd issue was housekeeping. While beds were made, towels were not restocked fully nor were mini bottles. Breakfast option weak compared to other chains.. i.e. no oatmeal. Front desk clerk presented in dirty uniform. Not what I want to see while checking in. Price wise....keep shopping around for Hilton or Marriott quality at Best Western pricing.

Stop over enroute to our destination. Did not have time to use the pool. Clean place and friendly staff. Breakfast of waffles, scrambled eggs, sausages, yogurt, fruit, and orange juice and coffee, fueled the start of our day.

Very pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and update of room and facilities. No trouble checking in and out. Personal were very pleasant and helpful. Was just passing through for the one night and would stay here at another time.

Stained sheets no big deal I ask for new sheets when I took the dirty sheets off the mattress cover had multiple blood on it, it's no way that they missed those stains ! Front desk did nothing they wouldn't change my room I was told see the manager in the morning which I did , the manager was just apologizing and blamed the new housekeeper! They cared about my payment but obviously did not care about my stay at their hotel. Did not care about my room they did not try to accommodate me they did not care if I was satisfied or not I understand minor things in a room but when you have stained sheets and you bypass that and you go to change your sheets yourself and find multiple blood stains on a mattress cover I should have been accommodated or something, you guys should have did something for me as your guest. I wont chose you again.

This hotel was very clean and comfortable. The pool is very clean and kept well. We have stayed there twice in the last couple weeks and would stay there again. Breakfast selections were satisfactory too.

My family and I stayed here for 5 nights. The hotel is clean, quiet and a quick drive to many restaurants and shopping. Six Flags is an easy 15 minute drive from the hotel. The staff are fantastic. One of the front desk clerks made us aware of a great short cut to the Holyoke Mall. The breakfast is what you'd expect, food wise, but the lady working it is efficient and friendly. The pool is clean and well kept. We would not hesitate to return to this hotel.

Stayed here for one night and we really enjoyed it! Friendly staff, clean rooms and good breakfast. We didn't use the pool but it was well kept and looked refreshing. If passing through again, we'd definitely stay here!

Stopped overnight with my son while we were here in town, the rooms were clean and comfy, the elevator made some weird noises but other than that is was nice reasonably priced hotel to stay for the night.

Room was fine with very (!) comfortable beds. Clean. But location of hotel sucks. Nothing decent for eating nearby (and driving didn't help). We had some business we needed to do over WiFi: could not get the hotel wifi to work (3 different devices). Front desk shrugged and said they knew nothing about it. Due to location and wifi issues, we wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Clean, comfortable and conveniently located to Family and Massmutual Arena. Close to Mass Pike. Very friendly staff. Greeted like a VIP every time we encountered anyone. We will definately stay here again.

It was very clean but the pool wasn't even open. I would stay here again though. Beds were nice and comfy. Location was nice and it was a perfect drive to Six Flags New England. Just don't be sweeping floors as guest are trying to check in; please stop until they leave the lobby area.

Our stay at the Best Western was excellent. The room was clean, The breakfast was very good especially the scrambled eggs, sausage and waffles. There were many other breakfast items to chose from as well. The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. We would definitely stay there again.

I was disappointed from the moment I Checked in to the moment I Checked out. I don't know about the other floors, but they third floor Carpet stunk so bad, I had to smell that inside the room I was staying for 3 days. I did try to check out in my second night, but I booked with booking,.com and I wasn't able to. I didn't stay the third night, I Left .

Our daughter & her wife live in West Springfield. Since they have small house, we always stay at the Best Western, which is within minutes of their home. After spending a day with our kids, we travel back to the hotel where we are always welcomed so warmly. It's like coming home!

Spent one night here, in town for a family funeral. The hotel was convenient to where we needed to go, although a little isolated. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was everything I expected. This is not in downtown Springfield and not walkable to any restaurants etc. but for one night with a car it suited us perfectly.

The hotel and its grounds were fine, but the area is somewhat run down. We would stay here again, as it is the only BW in the Springfield area, but it was sad to see the condition of Riverdale Road and the surrounding area.

Front desk was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and serviceable. It was a pleasant stay. Plenty of restaurant options very close by. The bed was comfortable. The parking lot was kind of small and cramped. It was about a ten minute drive to the Big E fairgrounds.

This Best Western location was exceptionally clean from the front entrance to the bathroom in our guest room. Bed was comfortable. Front desk staff was friendly & helpful. Check in & out was quick and easy. Complimentary breakfast offered a wide variety of hot & cold options. We will definitely be staying here the next time we visit the area.

The room was clean and comfortable with all the usual amenities. The king bed was comfortable. The continental breakfast was very good with a very friendly attendant who kept everything fresh and clean.

It was good value for the money; not fancy or roomy but comfortable and clean The handicap bathroom was a plus for us and the staff were welcoming and helpful. More detailed directions would have helped us find it more easily.

Good value with a great mattress, very helpful staff and good restaurants nearby. This is an older, modest building but compensates with new amenities and friendly, helpful staff. Who can ask for more?

I'm writing in regards to my stay at your hotel on March 15-17 on the disatifaction service I had there wasn't a microwave in the room as I'm a diabetic . I went out for the evening got back late and couldn't warm my food up . Ice machine on my floor was broking had to go to the third floor. Kitchen was closed . I called to front desk a few times got no answer and no callback . Disatified customer Darlean Thomas

I really enjoyed my Stay at the BW in West Springfield. The front desk and staff were super courteous. The breakfast options were great and the ambience of the hotel was good. The property is clean and beds comfortable. The hotel is tucked away in a corner away from the city chaos.

Everything was clean, beds comfortable, excellent treatment by employees specially Lorie, very attentive with us during our stay. Reasonable prices. Close to many restaurants and shops. The free breakfast is a plus.

We were looking for a hotel close to the 'Big E" Eastern States Exposition Center with reasonable prices, including breakfast, and this fit the bill nicely. The hotel appeared to be fairly new or recently remodeled, and was a quiet place for business travelers since there was no pool/activity center that attracts families.

I travel and lot and have a good sense of things that make for a great experience. On the positive side the room was quite nice with and attractive bed and plenty of space. The staff was friendly and the facility was all clean and nice. But there were two negatives. First of all, the heat was off and the room was freezing (it was cold outside). I expect a warm-enough room. I turned up the heat and went out for dinner. Secondly, as a minor issue but important to me, I could not plug in my phone charger in the light on my side table since there the fit was too tight. I had to plug in across the room .. I know, big deal, but I prefer my electronics close. Other than those, all was good.

Hotel is clean. Room not fancy but more than adequate. Comfortable beds. Quiet. New refrigerator/freezer. Friendly staff. Breakfast offered good variety - eggs, sausage, waffles, muffins/bagels/toast. Not crazy about coffee machine.

I've stayed at this hotel for 3 years in a row while exhibiting at The Big E Train Show. Friendly greeting, comfortable & clean rooms & a great breakfast. Beds are very comfortable. Minutes to the Eastern States Exhibition Grounds.

This is a great place to rest for the night. I had a wonderful time talking to the staff. The breakfast wasn't much, but it was enough to get me started for the day. This was my first experience staying at a Best Western ever, and I hope to look for them when I travel next!

Went to the Springfield area to meet family and stayed at the best western for a night. This hotel was amazing. Even though it's a bit smaller than the other Best Westerns I usually stay at, this specific one had everything we could've asked for. Nice rooms, great staff, and even complementary breakfast!

My stay at this hotel was perfect. All staff members delightful and helpful at all times. David the breakfast attendant was really nice and helpful. Yasir was also very helpful with directions and the rooms was really clean.

A really upscale hotel that seems pretty new and has some great interior decor and friendly staff. Enjoyed the comfort of the bed and also breakfast items served. Would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone trying to check this place out. Conveniently located in West Springfield where there is a movie theatre, restaurant and a mall with 10 minutes from your room!

The hotel to look at is very good, the room was clean & spacious, the breakfast was a good variety BUT the walls are paper thin. I could hear every word of a conversation in the next room which went on to well after midnight but then to cap it all off, I could clearly hear the one thing you don't want to listen to at 2.30am. Very disappointing stay

This is small but comfortable hotel. It has a homey feeling and the beds are very comfortable. The toilet and shower are in their own room and the sink is separate so if you don't like that then this isn't for you. Hotel is a few minutes drive from shops and restaurants.

We stayed here in July for 1 night. The rooms were clean and beds were comfy, we slept very well. The hotel on a whole was quiet which also made for a pleasant nights sleep. The staff were really helpful, especially David who works in the breakfast room in the mornings. He was so friendly and very helpful. Overall we enjoyed our stay here, would recommend.

Ok, had a billing issue w a reservation..and ultimately...I was asking for something I was technically not entitled to, but there were real extenuating circumstances. The clerk at the counter couldn't help me...I really did need a manager...after some back and forth, Tracy contacted the manager, explained my situation, and the manager solved my problem. They took a difficult situation and made it a very positive experiance...I can't wait to stop in hear again and see the new casino!!

I seen the reviews of this place, but I found it to be not the case. Staff quite friendly, very professional in their duties. The room was clean. Amazed at the amount of extra open outlets in the room. Sucks when there is only one outlet and it's the one in the bathroom. Could be the luck of the time I was there, but it was quite the whole time I was there. I would stay here again if I were to return here. Which due to personal matters is sometime after hell freezes over.

Worst stay ever. The walls are so thin you hear ur neighbors entire conversation. Couldn't even sleep. Bathroom smelled like a dirty rag. Breakfast terrible. Just a terrible stay I would never come here again.

Not so friendly staff and rooms not clean. Especially in the bathroom where hair was found in bath tub and floors. Breakfast was supposed to be over at 10am! But staff started removing stuff around 9:50am.

The hotel offered an enjoyable breakfast with waffles. The staff was pleasant, polite, responsive. The hotel is a short distance from a theater, a major mall, and a number of fine restaurants. I really enjoyed my stay.

I don't often write negative reviews, but when I spoke to the desk about my concerns, I was dismissed without the clerk even asking what room I was in. The room was dirty in so many places, that I can't enumerate them all. When I set the clock, the dust fell off the back, which prompted my subsequent wariness in the room. There was hair on the wall in the bathtub, dirt all around the edges of the bathroom floor, dirt at all the corners of the carpeting in the bedroom and dust all over the headboard which I cleaned before we went to bed. The clerk's response to my complaint (and I was not looking for a discount or refund) was that every room is cleaned every day. Not the kind of response that I expected.

When I read the reviews on Super 8 and EconoLodge, I decided I would pay the extra $50 for Predictability, Cleanliness and Simplicity. My transportation and lodging cancelled at the last minute and I had to catch a bus and book a room for a Friday one-day conference (7:30-3:30) while the entire East coast was under Thunderstorm and Flood watch . The other reviews made it easy, as a Red Eye train or bus were not options. I did not arrive until after 1am instead of 10pm -- and the BW staff member was courteous while my debit card glitched and room key failed. I am GREATFUL for people who remind us to take care of ourselves (grab some Yogurt for the bus trip back!!) when everything else is a disaster. My first stay at BW.

What a great experience. We arrived late from day three of driving. The front desk was very helpful and kind, offering us any help we needed. He had good meal recommendations even though we just went to the nearby Wendy's. The hotel is very clean and new. It has limited parking but is enough for the hotel. If I go to Springfield again, I will be staying there.

On the television guide most channels are gray with Blue-Kids, Purple-movies & Green-sports. Two bed stands. Comfort chair-used as a luggage rack. Writing desk with lamp & swivel chair. Carpet in bedroom, while tile for sink & bath area. Full length mirror. Small curtain closed closet, 8 wooden hangers, metal folding luggage rack, iron & board. Bathroom: Shower/tub. Hot water for shower in eight seconds. Bottles of shampoo & body lotion. Shower head is high, with being soft & gentle to face & body. Plenty of towels. An angled safety bar on wall. Small sink counter, just enough space for toiletries. Coffee maker. Two lights above sink mirror. Bathroom, sink area & bedroom very clean. Toilet paper is thin, suggest a guest bring their own paper. Toilet starts slow, finishes strong. Breakfast: The breakfast room is located on the first floor down the hallway next to the fitness center. Hours 6:00-10:00. One waffle maker, steamers for egg patties, pork sausages. Rolls, bread, English muffins. Orange & apple juice. Coffee. Three dry cereals. Tubs of yogurt. For seating only five tables. Have stayed in several B.W.s with this being the smallest breakfast. An early visit is recommended. Lobby:. Two guest computers & printer. Couch, four comfort chairs & three stools. Wall mounted flat screen. On second floor at west end is an ice machine & guest laundry. Washer & dryer both $1.50. Wall mounted detergent dispenser. $1.00 for a box of tide & liquid softer. This facility is four levels with smooth operating elevator. Two automatic front sliding doors greet guest with at least one luggage cart. Parking is along one side & rear of building. Most restaurants are to the north-Olive Garden, Carrabba's Italian Grill & Bottegas Cucina. Many shopping stores in same area. I stopped at Classic Burger at 1261 Westfield St., W. Springfield. Great burgers & music from the late 50's-mid-60's. Classic is located SW of the Best Western. This facility is a bit dated, however I do believe there have been updates. Wouldn't hesitate to stay in the future. Factors being-location, price, staff-Lori-check in-Ali-checkout-, Rick & Tracy & room's cleanliness. Helpful hint 1. I found backing in a side space is best as a visitor has greater visibly to drive out. Helpful hint 2. If using GPS, use Riverdale ROAD, not street. Riverdale Road becomes Riverdale Street to the north. Helpful hint 3. Outside door handle- To unlock door-key in & out, pull handle UP, not down.

This was a fairly standard low end hotel. It was priced appropriately for what it was so I have no complaints. The staff however was above average. Everyone who worked there was friendly and many of the employees went out of their way to make our stay really nice. The room was clean, the pool was nice, the breakfast was a little below average but was included in the already affordable hotel cost so you get what you get. Good location if you need to stay in Springfield.

Handy location close to Mass Pike and restaurants. Large rooms, quiet location. Typical hot breakfast. Not ideal breakfast food but gets you going in the morning. Friendly helpful staff. A little awkward to get into off the divided highway.

Stayed one night on our way through from Canada to Cape Cod. Convenient location to Mass Pike and restaurants, but quiet and large clean well appointed rooms. Free breakfast including hot eggs, sausage waffles etc. Lots of breakfast items to choose.

It was a pleasant stay. There was no drama and the staff was nice to deal with. I don't usually use the gym but we did on this trip and it was nice too. The machines worked as they should. Breakfast was your usual BW morning stuff. Good stay and can't complain really.

Spent three days at the hotel. The hotel was very tidy and well kept! The staff was very helpful in not only accommodating our late areival and unfamiliarity with the locale, but also very cooperative and friendly. Mr. Faaiz at the front desk was very hospitable and helped suggest good places to eat and local attractions. He also was very accomodating with all requests. All in all it was a very comfortable stay. 10/10 would stay here again when I am in the area. Satisfied!

After a very late check in my boyfriend and I just signed our paperwork and went to our room. After looking at the bill before leaving we noticed smoking charge applied. Honest mistake. But when we went o question it, the woman at the front desk was asleep (it was 10 am) and had to be woken up. When we said we do not smoke-she laughed then replied

Our room was nicely decorated and roomy. The floors had not been cleaned and room needed to be dusted. Bed was comfortable and bedding was sufficient. We had to leave two notes for housekeeping to request it be dusted and the floors be cleaned, a few items were not restocked - like cups, etc. Overall ok. The breakfast was adequate but not varied from day to day. The pool was not open so that was a bummer. The staff were awesome. Starting with the gentleman who checked us in at 3:30 in the morning to the guys working the next two shifts. They made us feel very comfortable and were extremely helpful and seemed to really enjoy their jobs and taking care of guests. We were in town for 5 days for my mother's funeral and happy we stayed here. I would say it was the best service we have ever had at a Best Western!!! Because of them, I would definitely recommend this hotel for travelers.

This is a great clean, hotel. This is my second stay and I would stay again. I slept like a baby! Only complaint is number of breakfast items selection. sausage and egg patties-Macdonald like (which is right across the street)

I have stayed here 3 times in the past, however: During my recent stay of several days, I accidentally left an envelope with money on my bed when I left for the day. When I returned, there was $ 180 missing from the envelope and the room was only partially made up. I went down to the desk to complain and to inform them that I was about to call the police. The clerk contacted the manager and the owner who told me he would return the money. And he DID. However, they needed to explain the whole sequence of events, none of which mentioned the actual removal of the cash or why the room was not made up. This is the only time in 45 years of travel as an adult that anything was taken from my hotel room. Also, the internet is the slowest of any hotel I've ever stayed in in the US. The remote to the TV worked poorly and I had to stand near the TV to change channels. This complaint is actually funny: They don't put out the peanut butter at breakfast because of food allergies, but if you ask they have it. You only get sick if you eat peanut butter, not by looking at it. I will add that the staff was always extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel is clean. The breakfast is nothing special, but you can make a waffle. In conclusion, I can never stay here again.

I have stayed here at least two times and was very pleased each time. I had a long morning conference/webinar call and asked to stay beyond normal checkout to not disturb the call.. I was told no problem and that you for asking in advance.. Very friendly folk at any request.

Overall this is a very nice clean hotel. I have stayed here before and it has been very quiet however this trip was marred by our inconsiderate guest next door. Our room - 2 double beds were appropriate. The staff was excellent. Didn't have breakfast or used the internet so I can't comment on those. The hotel is near a mall and I sure got some wonderful deals there. Also lots of places to eat. I would definitely recommend this hotel is a great place to stay!

Overall, a nice clean hotel with fresh updated decor. Other then hearing some very occasional noise from other guests, it was very quiet. Our room (a two double bed room) was tight, but no worse then most hotel rooms in this price range. Staff was excellent. Didn't have breakfast, so I can't comment on that. Internet was fast. Sit-down dining options just up the street include Olive Garden, Carrabba's, Friendly's, and possibly a couple “non-chain” options. There's also a Pizza Hut (I don't know if it's sit down or delivery only). There's also Dunkin Donuts and McDonalds close by. I will mention a downside if youre scent sensitive - it seems like almost all hotels these days just assault you with various cleaning product and air freshening smells as you move from lobby to hall to bathroom. This hotel is very typical in that regard. Unless you're sensitive to that though, this is a great hotel to stay At!

I stayed here a few days ago for business when the Marriotts were all booked. The price was really good and so were the reviews so I thought why not. I checked in and got my license photo copied and had to sign and initial paperwork for staying in the room. Never have to do this at any Marriott property. Then I asked for waters and I had to pay cash for them at the desk. No room charge or micro-market store at all. Also, never had to pay cash for waters. The guy was nice though, so at least they had that going. I got up to the room and I think the doors have so much space between them I clearly heard people in the hallway not in front of my room. The room: Beds were made. Room had lights. Curtains did not close all the way, so the light woke me up early. I went to use the sink and there was hair in it. That is not normal. Obviously it was not cleaned well. I went to shower, as soon as the water hit the shower curtain it smelled horrible. I don't know if it was mildew or what, but it was really unpleasant. Shower also had hair in it. I think overall the hotel was ok, but whoever was supposed to be cleaning the sink and shower does not care at all about their job. If I could give it a 2.5, I would but I will give it a 3 based on price. That was very reasonable.

Easy check in with helpful staff. Provided a list of local restaurants, all very close to hotel as were many shopping stores. Clean hotel and comfortable beds in room. Quiet hotel. Breakfast was standard fare but good. Room food was in was clean. Would stay again if in town.

One night stay for a funeral. Very convenient and affordable place to stay as we generally look for a BW when we travel. The breakfast eggs were not the greatest but acceptable. Notes several good eating establishments near by, so for the price this BW met our needs.

We dropped into Harford airport late in the eveining. We reserved a room at the Best Western since it was a short distance to drive. Check in was very pleasant and the lobby was very clean and comfortable. The room was surprisingly well done. My guess would be a recent remodeling of the property. Or maybe they are clean fanatics. The next morning we went downstairs to have the breakfast that you find in many establishments. This is where the major difference shocked us beyond belief. I was about to fix the a-typical do it yourself waffle. This is where David stepped in and asked if he could fix the waffle for me. Away he went to the mix and waffle and iron to fix the waffle. When he returned with the waffle I had to chuckle. I have in the past traveled for the company many times to many places. In all the times that I fixed a waffle at the hotel I was staying in it was never a full waffle. David's was not only full side to side but was the correct golden color. But wait there's more. After fixing mine he went about his duties making sure all the guests were happy and then moved on the cleaning any spills and refilling the entire food line. He never stopped. You might say that is his job, but the way he went about it made me feel he enjoyed people and enjoyed his job. I am sure if we are back on the East Coast again in that area I will be heading for David's Domain.

This is a great hotel to stop at. The whole hotel, the lobby, hallway, our room and breakfast area were all very clean. The employees very friendly and helpful. Hotel was easy to locate right off the main room with plenty of parking space.

Many choices on this strip between l-91and Big E, this Best Western has what we need for quiet nights rest, free wifi that works, and a coffee and qiuck breakfast in the morning, for an affordable rate. The staff is always helpful and friendly. No stinky pool, or noisy traffic

Will never stay here again. Staff friendly and helpful, not so much with management. Also Best Western was no help in resolving the issues. I should have read the reviews regarding problems with management Oh well, count this as lesson learned.

Good service, friendly people, and clean room. Was not thrilled with breakfast. The eggs were pre-made, pre-packaged. Not much to choose from. The hotel is in a very busy area, but close to lots of restaurants and shopping.

The outside parking lot and appearance of the building is rough. On the inside you will find some of the most pleasant people in the industry. The rooms are newly renovated and up to date. The breakfast which is included is also good with very nice staff working that also!

I stay 30-40 nights per year at Best Western hotels across the country. On night one of my five night stay, I received very bad health news and had to return home. The room was empty for day 2 and 3 of my stay. I tried to get credit and was willing to pay more for the first night to get credit for the two days I wasn't there, but they would not work with me at all. In 2015, my mom had a heart attack and I did not check in at a Best Western in Plymouth, MA. They credited me because it was a family emergency, no questions asked. I understand policies with cancellations however, there are times when people can be a bit more sympathetic to special circumstances involving health issues.

This hotel was very close to Springfield which was convenient for going out to dinner. We thought West Springfield was going to be a bad area but we felt very safe in the hotel. Also, the amenities were great and the room was very clean! Staff was friendly as well. We would definitely stay here again.

Very generic--lousy breakfast, not enough blankets in room, coffee maker in room did not work but it was all quite clean. The location is easy to reach but on a main street so there is some noise from the street. The personnel was friendly.

I stayed here for 4 nights and the rooms were clean, everything was great. There was a gentleman named David who worked in the morning ensuring that the breakfast remained fully stocked who was always so friendly, helpful, and positive. He did an amazing job you could tell he valued his work.

The hotel is close to main highways and to a retail shopping area. Plentiful choices for food and dining. Vending machines on the third floor. Parking is safe and there are many spots. Staff is friendly and they work with the clients to meet their needs. There is an outdoor pool for use during the summer.Plentiful spave in the closet for suitcases and clothes. Has a microwave and refrigerator. Desk convenient for computers. Coffee for morning.

The clerk at check in was more concerned about what my car cost. At check out i asked the clerks to reserve a night for me as my next location and they wouldn't do that which resulted in me having to stay at a different motel chain.

The BW is just OK. The room is comfortable and mostly well kept (except a few spider webs). The bathroom is clean. The WiFi on the third floor was barely usable. The hotel is situated between a major road and interstate and the.road noise was more noticeable than I expected. The breakfast is just "continental" with whatever an "egg patty" is. The 2% milk was spoiled. On the lower end of most BW from our experience.

I enjoyed my short three day stay at this hotel. I was travelling for business and I'm glad I chose this property. Conveniently located to my business associates office with plenty of restaurants and shopping near by. The hotel staff were friendly and courteous. I would highly recommend this property for future stays.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel overnight to attend The Big E. It was very clean and very close in distance to the event. Highly recommend if you need a place to stay near West Springfield Mass or if you are attending The Big E.

Hotel was great.Went to the Big E and 1 of the bands was staying at this hotel.Check before you book.They were obnoxiously noisy. The hotel cannot control what these idiots were doing ,but you might want to ask if a band is staying there before you book it.

We stay here every year to attend The Big E. Easy on and off from The Big E. The mall and eating facilities are right down the road. Plus Six Flags over New England is close by if you wanted to visit.

The Best Western hotel is a great place to stay at if you're staying in Springfield MA. It's immaculate clean, has a nice variety of cable TV channels, and offers its guests a fairly decent breakfast. (Especially the waffles ) It's in a very good location. It's close to a lot of decent restaurants, close to the mall, and not far from Rt 91. The staff at the front desk were exceptional. They were very accomodating and friendly. We will definitely go back to the Best Western hotel when in Springfield MA again.

This Best Western was vey easy to access off Route 5 in West Springfield.We were in the area for a family gathering.The room was lovely & very clean.The bed so comfortable that I fell asleep quickly and missed most of the Emmy Award Show.I am not tech savy but I am going to try to watch the Emmy's on line..The breakfast choices were perfect.I splurged and had the waffle,yummy.The Hotel was clean,comfy easy to access and the room rate easy on the budget.

We had a great stay at the Bedt Western Hotel. The personnel at the front desk... particularly Lori was amazing. The Hotel was immaculately clean; and it was in a great location. Overall, accommodations were great!

I have stayed here before. As always the rooms are very clean. The staff are helpful. The breakfast is standard. This is a good value for the price. The location is several blocks off I-91 but is easy to find.

We stayed at the West Springfield Best Western on a Saturday night to attend an air show at the nearby Westfield-Barnes Airport. When we arrived, there seemed to be some problem with two families wanting two rooms together. It may be because of this that the two ladies at the front desk were efficient but not especially friendly. The room was clean and comfortable although not especially roomy. That was okay as we just needed a room until we left early the next morning. The sink is separate from the bathroom with the toilet and bathtub/shower. The closet is large enough for a stay of a few days but would be small for an extended stay. They use the type of clothes hanger that can not be functional if removed. If you read my reviews, you know I check out the bathroom and in particular the caulking job around the tub. A bad caulk job indicates hotel management that doesn't want to invest in a more costly professional job and often reflects upon everything else. This Best Western hotel passed. It wasn't perfect but it was good. The bathroom overall was clean. A slight amount of mold on the bathtub tiles was all. The beds were comfortable but suffered from the inevitable lean towards the edge facing the other bed, where most people sit before laying down. They use the duvet system, with the duvet and a thick sheet on top. I'm a traditionalist preferring a sheet, blanket, comforter arrangement. The TV worked well with a decent selection of channels and an interesting remote that was designed to be easily cleaned thoroughly. I liked that! Remotes are serious germ carriers. I spray them with Lysol when on a cruise ship! Included in the room was a microwave oven and a small refrigerator. The A/C was under the window but extended out enough that it didn't interfere with the curtains. The curtains were interesting that they had a sheer, a heavy vinyl curtain to totally block out light and a decorative curtain. The A/C had the option to run the fan full time so as to mitigate the sound of the A/C going on and off. The room was very quiet; I never heard any sounds from another room or from the hallway. A continental breakfast buffet is available in the morning with all the standard fare including scrambled eggs and sausage patties. No bacon. Although I didn't use it, the pool looked very clean and I didn't detect a strong smell chlorine smell. This isn't a huge hotel having only four floors and about 16 rooms on each floor. There appears to be adequate room outside surrounding the hotel for parking. A couple of miles to the north on route 5, is a major shopping area with many restaurant choices. If you are planning to come to this area, this is a good place to stay.

We stayed here one night while visiting Springfield and the Gem and Mineral Show. The property was clean and well maintained. The rooms were nice and the beds were comfortable. The staff was helpful and courteous.

When we first got there, we got a room on the second floor. But the TV didn't work, and the room smelled like smoke. So we had to go up one more floor. But that was a good idea because the third floor was SO much quieter than the second floor. It was raining most of the week, so we only went in the pool twice, when the weather was nice. The breakfast was good, and the rooms are pretty comfortable.

We had a very nice stay at the Best Western in West Springfield. The women at the Reception desk were very nice. The halls were bright with a colorful carpet. The room was VERY clean with a VERY comfortable king size bed, a desk and chair, a refrigerator, an arm chair, a bureau, and two night tables. A hot breakfast was included in the price of the room. I didn't have breakfast, but my husband said his waffle was better than average. We would definitely return to this hotel. It may be helpful to know that this hotel is on the Route 5 North. Route 5 is divided (there is a divider down the middle). If you are heading south on Route 5, it is tricky to get to it. A GPS would be helpful or else call the hotel for directions.

My family stayed here on a Saturday night as a halfway stop on our way to Acadia (we went to the Basketball Hall of Fame the next morning). We found the property to be very clean, and the staff was friendly as well. Beds were comfortable, rooms were quiet. Breakfast was better than expected with more choices than the standard continental breakfast. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

Don't stay here if you expect a restful night, unless you're the only customers! There were kids slamming doors, dogs barking, owners yelling at barking dogs, people with TVs turned up too loudly, and conversations at reasonable volume heard through the walls. The breakfast was ok except there were no gluten-free, dairy-free options (unless you count coffee,apples and oranges). Definitely staying somewhere else on our next trip through Springfield, MA.

I enjoyed my stay at Best Western. I went with a large group for a basketball tournament and they all loved it. The hotel was very clean, the pool was very fun and the staff were friendly and professional. I highly recommend this hotel and I will be staying here again for future tournaments.

Excellent experience, room was very clean staff so helpful. This was my first time at a best western and i would return to this location again. Pool was clean and staff was very accommodating we had a little group of us and they let us enjoy ourselves...one of my best stays

Very clean rooms and overall hotel. Friendly staff, good location on your way to area attractions or the upper Northeast. Breakfast is very good and attendant is on top of things! Clean and well maintained. Will go back if needed. Rooms are loud as walls are thin.

I've stayed here several times over the past 12 months. Facility is 100% Fully renovated. Super clean ! Rooms are a good size, not huge but plenty of space for most with new furnishings. Bathroom is immaculate with brand new flooring. Bedding is new, all white, super clean and fluffy, mattress is very comfortable and worthy of hotel classifications in the 5 star category. Towels are plentiful and clean. Air Conditioning works perfectly. Rooms are quiet. My only small peeve is I prefer my sink/counter to be located behind a door so I don't wake up my room mate. Parking is on-site, well lit. I did not check out the breakfast so I can't comment. If you are staying in the West Springfield area this is an excellent choice. Always our first "go to" when in the area. Obviously a well managed property.

It was not where MapQuest told us it was, glad we had GPS on our IPhone to get there. Hotel was one of the best during our travels this trip. Staff at check in was so helpful when I wasn't feeling well. My husband went down to ask about some milk, the clerk opened the Breakfast area and gave him a nice cup of milk for me and coffee for my husband. Said if I needed more to just come down and he would be more than happy to get it. There is a nice work out area for guest to use. I was sick so unable to use it. Parking area is well lite and we could see our car from our room. Nice sized room, bed and bathroom. Had a nice sink area for both of us to use. Plenty of fresh towels. Everything was clean and nice. Breakfast area was very nice size with plenty of seating. Quite stocked with eggs, sausage, waffles, hot cereal, cold cereal, pastries, apple juice, OJ, milk, yogurt, bagels, toast and muffins. Plenty to choose from. Elevator was nice size, clean and quick. The hotel offered luggage carts. Was having car trouble and the clerk found me the address and phone number to call the car dealer for the next day. Wrote down the directions as well. Shopping and restaurants all around and near the hotel. Sorry no pictures this time.

The evening clerk knew the city, directed us to a superb restaurant (Cleo's), and saved the day getting us extra copies of my wife's presentation for the next day ( sudden increase in attendees). The gentleman who cared for the breakfast lounge was exception also. The choices were limited and modest, but he kept it very clean and well supplied and made sure "all was well".

This is a terrific and brand new hotel. Too bad we only stayed for one night! We we're checked into the hotel fairly quickly by a friendly and professional manager on duty. Our room was brand new and was very clean. My wife and I were both craving a cup of coffee and the manager was kind enough to open the breakfast room so we could do that. We stayed here during a visit to the Brimfield Flea Market that was around a half hour away. Of course, hotels close to the market fill up quick and are quite expensive. This hotel is a much better choice despite the distance which we found manageable. Restaurants are close to the hotel and there are many to choose from. There is also an outdoor pool here which was not open yet but we will make sure to enjoy that when return here in July. Breakfast was fine and was looked after by a very attentive and friendly staff member. A great stay at a great hotel. Stay here if in the area. You can't go wrong.

We stay here every year when visiting our daughter during spring parent weekend at her boarding school. The hotel offers fantastic value at 30-40% discount to Hampton Inn while providing an equally high-quality experience. The rooms are clean and the staff are always welcoming. Special mention here to David Sheehan who keeps the breakfast room in great shape and is always very sociable & engaging. He is a huge fan of Thin Lizzy of whisky in the jar fame. We always recall how Thin Lizzy completely blew away Freddie Mercury & Queen during a gig at Springfield Civic Center in the 1970s even though they were only a support band. David really epitomises the warm & friendly attitude of all the staff at this super value hotel. We will return again next year!!

First off, the bed was super comfortable. But... Room cleanliness could be better, linens stained, breakfast worse than most, on the very end of strip bordering sketchy neighbors. Lots of other choices in area.

Rooms were almost average size and even being an older place, it wasn't too out of date. Biggest complaint is the breakfast is sparse. Compared to other hotels, they don't have near the selection to choose from.

I booked a room here for the UMass graduation weekend because it's virtually impossible to get a hotel room in Amherst for that weekend. I had my doubts about Best Western, but there wasn't much choice. Well, I really regretted that decision when I called on May 11th to confirm the reservation and found out that they had cancelled the reservation I had made back in January. At first they said that they couldn't find the reservation. When I called Expedia (through which I had made the reservation), they called the hotel only to be told that the reservation had been cancelled (how could they cancel something they claim they couldn't find?). They offered me another room at a higher rate -- higher because they now had a waiting list of people. What is the point of reserving a room in advance (at a lower rate) if the hotel can just cancel the reservation at the last minute and offer you a room at a higher rate? Never again will I book a Best Western hotel! On top of that, the hotel manager with whom I spoke was rude and unprofessional on the phone.

My family and I arrived late at night and were welcomed so nicely. Our room was clean and beds were super comfortable which was great after a 17 hour drive! The entire staff during our stay were very nice and helpful! It is close to the highway and restaurants and shopping too.

The staff is great and the rooms are clean breakfast was terrific and the location worked for us I would not hesitate to go back The area is quiet and there is a good variety of nearby restaurants and shopping

Would recommend this hotel again, for a small hotel the cleanliness deserves a 5 star, breakfast 2 star, location 5 star as it was near many restaurants, stores etc., service 4 star and sleep quality a 5 star.

Not happy this time around. Stayed there for every surgery I've had and this time it was terrible. Going back for surgery in 2 weeks and thinking of staying somewhere else. Military pricing should have been cheaper.

I stayed here from April 2 until April 7. It was clean and comfortable and very close to the highway, as well as on Riverdale Street, the main drag with access to all different things, including a number a fine restaurants. The manager Neesa went out of her way to accommodate my request to stay an extra night, offering me a discounted rate. The young man on the evening shift, Faaiz, I hoped I spelled his name correctly, was very friendly and personable. And when I would sit in the lobby, Lori would talk with me as she went about doing her job, making me feel very welcomed. Having worked in the customer service field for many years, I appreciated the extra effort made by these hotel employees, and hope that Best Western realizes how valuable these people are. Based on all this, I rate this hotel very highly, and loom forward to my next stay there.

The place is wonderful. Staff was great, room very comfortable and clean. This will be our regular hotel choice for staying when we travel. I recommend this hotel for any travelers, it has complimentary breakfast and an exercise room. River behind the hotel is a nice place to get fresh air when wanted. The Murdocks

Cleanliness is everything when staying in a hotel. I found dirty socks & stains on the bedding.It took forever for the heat to come on and the room phone wasn't working. After driving a long distance who wants to be changing rooms especially when you're paying over $100 you would expect decent services. This hotel is over priced! Next time I'm in the area I will stay somewhere.

We have a choice of many hotels on the Riverdale strip, when we stay twice a year in this area, after trying most, we now always return to this Best Western property. We have been warmly welcomed at the desk and promptly checked in, a plus when tired after working all day. A clean and quiet room is all we ask, and this renovated Best Western has clean rooms, comfortable bed linen and hot water shower ( and no mold..I hate shower mold !!!) Breakfast room is well stocked and again clean . Coffee, juice,, eggs and waffles, some fresh fruit, all enough for a quick breakfast.Have already made my reservation for next year..the price is right also.

Dissatisfied, Rooms very dusty, did not replace soap shampoo or coffee and condiments. Were told we would be charged when we left and in fact the 1st night was charge the first night at check in then at check out we were not allowed to split the bill because the reservation was in one name and the name had to pay with their credit card. We were told we could have first floor and we had second floor again this year.

After years of staying at the noisy and busy red roof inn up the street decided to check this,out as price comparable and much closer to downtown using ft five to downtown bridge.....second time here still happy. Sparsely populated so sleep was great. Only change needed is to fix room doors like hallways so they don't slam . Free breakfast included sausage patties and eggs....no milk though. Wifi worked great despite annoying repetitive sign in requests . Despite homeless man spotted dumpster diving and a less than stellar neighboring belairminn,no noise or signs of trouble. Quick proximity to riverdale shops and restaurants including drug and two grocery stores plus movie theater. I'll be back with my crew again.

Stayed here last week on a business trip. Staff were excellent, very pleasant to deal with. Odd smell in 3rd floor hallway on Friday night (smell was gone Saturday morning), but place was extremely clean so no idea what it could have been. It's a basic hotel on a busy highway, adequate for what we needed. Free WiFi worked fine and free breakfast was decent. No amenities but that is because it is not a BW Plus like the ones we usually stay at. If I have a need to head out that way again, I would definitely stay here again.

When we checked in the room had hairs on the floor, in the sink and tub and the mirror had spots all over it. They switched us to a different room (their last one) and while there were no hairs, this mirror also had spots all over it. We had to go out and buy Lysol wipes and clean everything ourselves. We purposely didn't clean the mirror and to see if they would after our complaining. Guess what, the next day it still had the spots. What else are they not cleaning? If you like a clean room, take my advise and stay away from this one.

Stayed here for 4 nights room was spacious and clean with air con which was excellent as it was very warm. Staff were very friendly and helpful and 24 hour reception was a bonus. Hotel has a swimming pool but i did not use it. Location is very good lots of restaurants nearby.

This Best Western was a surprise and has been totally remodeled and looks like new....carpet, bedding, bathroom. Also a microwave and refrigerator are provided. Right off I -91 and easy to find. Lots of restaurants close by. Serving a light breakfast.

The rooms are very pricey and you need to put down $150 for security deposit on top of $130 for a room so if you coming here to rent a room you better have your wallet other than that the rooms are clean except the big spider broken cover for air conditioner there was a big spider in the corner but one of the best the associate downstairs came up and took care of it so that's a good Plus we'll see what else happened

We were going to the Big E and had read a review that it was close by. It is, very convenient. This hotel is extremely clean, was very pleased with the cleanliness of the room. The only minor complaint was the morning noise . The room was situated in the back of the building, we were there on a week day. The garbage truck came around at about 6:30 am, they cleaned out the dumpster which made a lot of noise, there is also a highway in the back which you do not see from the front, morning traffic noise. Yes, I would definitely stay here again, just not in the back. Bed is very comfortable, staff is pleasant and helpful and I have never seen a cleaner room, Thumbs up

I took my Dad to the Big E for the first time and booked a stay at the Best Western. We were very pleased with the accommodations. It's only about 3 miles from the Big E parking lot and there are lots of chain restaurants just down the road in the opposite direction which made getting dinner quick and easy. My dad was thrilled about the waffles in the breakfast setup and the linens in the rooms were clean and soft. A little pricey for a 1 night stay, I guess, but the front desk staff was very kind and this place definitely gave us a good night's sleep.

Glad I checked the bed linen for top cover had huge stain on it. Person making the bed should have seen it when putting it on bed. Pillows definitely need replacing. Windows haven't been cleaned. Breakfast food was frozen and heated up in microwave. Fresh fruit consisted of apples only. Should have beverages that appeal to kids, cocoa would have been nice. Courtesy PCs in lobby need to be regraded for speed and staff should log in once a day for when we went to use them, it took us about 30 minutes before we were able to use them due to lack of use. Had to keep getting key cards reset. Even when we left them laying on table overnight when we went to get into room the next day, they wouldn't work.

We went to go see the Big E as we do every year. We have stayed at other hotels but, some have gone "down hill". We decided to go back to the one we went to last year where we were very satisfied with and that is the Best Western on Riverdale St. We have NO complaints whatsoever. Clean/comfortable/all kinds of movies on TV, which, sometimes we get nothing. We had a great stay, slept better here then my own house and had a continental breakfast in the morning. I really am happy with this hotel.

The hotel staff was very nice..and they tried very hard, The place was clean the pool was nice but right on the main road..the breakfast was just ok..I was surprised based on all of the reviews I had read...I expected it to be a bit nicer.I would stay again for a night if I needed but if I were staying for longer, I might pick another hotel.

Stayed with a buddy to see the philly goat Allen Iverson get inducted in the hall of fame. The gentleman at the front desk Friday September 8th and Saturday September 9th was very friendly and helpful. The gentleman running the continental breakfast was also very helpful and kept everything full and running nice. Helped me and my buddy with the waffle maker which made very good waffles. If I'm ever in west Springfield again this is where I'll stay.

Arrived late and had reservations. Booked two rooms. First room my son and I stayed at had two beds. I pulled the sheets and bed spread back to get in and noticed hairs everywhere. My son checked his bed and there were hairs in his bed. We called the front desk and they were kind enough to give us another room. The second room again had hairs in the sheets all the way to the mattress. We settled for new sheets. Upon taking off the fitted sheet the mattress was stained with big brown stains. We again called the front desk. They again gave us another room and again there were hairs on the bed. This time the hotel manager went through the sheets with me. We again settled for new sheets and slept on top of the sheets and bed spread. My parents in another room didn't want to even look they just slept on top of the bedspread as well. They gave us a 20 dollar discount after all that. Traveled all the way from Ohio to get to sleep ON a bed, not in it. We did take pictures. It was grose. Apparently they are all individually owned therefore there policy was to give us a new room and a couple bucks back. We travel every year to the cape and Will not stay at this hotel. Check your beds! On top of all this there people smoking marijuana and you could smell it in the hall and room. Hotel mgr. said he would take care of it. This was a non smoking hotel. Signs posted on doors.

Rooms are pretty quiet (some traffic noise, but it was ok) & the bed was pretty comfy. Shower over bath with good water pressure & a hairdryer. The room also featured a fridge, A/C, a writing desk, free Wi-Fi & LCD TV with cable. Staff are friendly & the lady who checked me in was lovely. Breakfast is included but it was pretty standard fare. There are plenty of restaurants nearby.

Clean, safe place to stay for a night or too. However, I am a light sleeper and could clearly hear everything going on in the hallway and next door. If you stay here, you might want to request the 4th floor and the end of the hallway for some piece and quiet. That said, if I were in the area again, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here.

Every time we enter the hotel the staff greeted us. Our room was clean and serviced every day. They also have a very nice outdoor pool. It was a very convenient location for restaurants, shopping and the Eastern States Expo Center.

Minor issue which was corrected. Room very comfortable and staff very friendly and helpful, When we mentioned the missing towels we were on the way to dinner and expected to find them in our room on our return. They were not there and we asked again in the morning and they handed them to us immediately. Only glich in an otherwise great stay and value

The place was quiet and clean. Breakfast great, beautiful clean pool, free wifi, free parking and the rate was a giveaway compaired with over rated other places. The management extremely professional. Will recommend to anyone who is looking for a place to stay while in Springfield. Will definitely go back anytime I am in the area.

This hotel was a great location enroute to a family gathering at Tanglewood. Clean rooms, comfortable bed, AC unit was a bit loud, but very welcome during a heat wave. We left at 8:15 AM and made it to Tanglewood in plenty of time to park, re-park, collect our tickets, and enjoy great seats at the morning concert at 10 AM.

Clean, quiet and close to downtown restaurants and Eastern expo center. Seems to be newly renovated, our room was made up nicely, and though it's right off of the highway, I didn't hear traffic at all. Didn't use the fitness center but it was full of people and also seemed very clean. Great hotel for the price.

Extremely clean and comfortable night at this location. Breakfast was more than adequate and waiter was very attentive and friendly. Front desk woman was efficient and helpful. Pool looked inviting but no time for a swim. Great restaurants and movies nearby. All good.

Pretty typical mid-range Best Western. Clean & well kept. Pretty decent free breakfast in AM. We were looking for someplace convenient to get to from Rte 90, on our way through town. We'd stay here again.

Room is great and bed is very comfortable. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Lots to do and see in the area. lots of places to eat. great place to stay. The motel is near major highways. The pool and work out rooms are clean and nice extra.

Very comfortable King bed, Having a fridge is convenient. Wifi was good. Lori was very helpful giving us a list of about 20 restaurants nearby with recommendations. Very busy road with no sidewalks so couldn't walk there. Pool looked good, though we didn't use it.

This hotel was newly remodeled and very nice. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. The front desk service was great and check-in was easy. FREE parking and a very nice pool that we unfortunately didn't use because it was a little chilly outside. It was crystal clear and very inviting. A great place to stay if you want to be close to Hartford, but not deal with the craziness of a city. We would stay here again.

We first stayed at this hotel in 2015. We liked it, so we booked a room again this year. We still like the hotel, but one circumstance caused us to check out early. While most hotels want to see a form of identification, this one insisted on making a copy of my driver's license. This was unusual in my experience. The explanation given was that: they needed to know who I was, it was hotel policy, and in case they needed to show it to "detectives". They also said that they would keep the copy for a week. This raised questions of how they would dispose of it. The next day, the owner of the hotel confirmed the foregoing and added first that it was required by state law. When questioned, she changed that to county law or ordinance. I said that I had concerns about my privacy and their intent to provide the information to "detectives" without a proper procedure. She indicated that it was a hotel policy that would not change and I was free to stay somewhere else. We cut the stay short and moved to another hotel (which looked at the license on check-in and promptly gave it back to me). I asked for and got the copy of the license back. We were not aware of this policy when we made the reservation. The purpose of this review is to make this known to others who might care about it. We still like the hotel, but will not be staying there in the future.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the small but well-equipped exercise room and slept very well on a comfortable mattress. The breakfast was small but good, and the breakfast staff was great.

I got to the hotel around 6:30pm after driving from out of state for business. The staff at check in was very friendly and efficient. I quickly used the gym before going to dinner. The TV in the gym was broke, the gym did have nice cardio equipment, a weight rack, bench, and machine. As far as a hotel gym goes, I have no complaints. The room was fine, nothing remarkable to the good or bad. The breakfast was nice, there were hot items as well as all the typical cold. The coffee machine tasted pretty gross, but enough cream and sugar got me past it. Overall, I would come back here again. I had no major issues and the hotel was as advertised.

BW has decided people don't need real coffee. 3rd BW/BWPlus I've stayed at recently - all an instant coffee machine... This hotel was small, but very clean. Staff was really good. Pool was good. Breakfast was meager (not much choice), Pillows were abysmal. Beds were only ok in comfort compared to other BWs I've stayed at.

We chose this hotel because we needed a place to stay to visit Six Flags and have stayed in other Best Westerns before and have been satisfied. This hotel was not as nice as other Best Westerns I have stayed in before, so I was a little disappointed, but the room was clean and nice enough and the location was very convenient. 5 minutes off I-91, 10 minute drive to six flags and several restaurants within a 5 minute drive away.

The hotel was just what we wanted. The price was right. The staff were very helpful.... and the breakfast staffer was WONDERFUL. He went out of his way to be sure everything was just right,tidy and clean. And he was so personable. The rooms were so clean and the beds were COMFORTABLE ! This location was so close to so many restaurants... and a mall. Something for everyone and close to the highway. Definitely would recommend!

Well I just came back home from a very pleasurable visit in Western Mass and stay at the Best Western. This is a newly renovated hotel which used to be the Days Inn. It still has that new hotel smell. Very easily accesible from off of the highway. Locate basically at the beginning of Riverdale Road and convenient to all dining and shopping. The lobby is small but very clean. Not really meant for sitting and socializing. The room was quite spacious. I had a room with 2 double beds and the room was very neat. Refrigerator in the room if you need one. Clean bathroom and about a 32 inch flat screen tv. You can order pizza from Dominios if you don't feel like going out. The service was very nice and they do offer a continental breakfast but we ate at IHop which is a little further up the road. Honestly I have noting bad to say about the stay, the service or the room. I'd definitely recommend it and will stay there again in the future.

A group of us stay here each year when the W. Springfield Heirloom Convention is in town. Its a perfect place to stay, as its so close by. Employees are very nice, beds are very comfy, free breakfast is great also.

Clean room, comfortable bed, and a wonderful staff! The Free breakfast can't be beat! Food was good, and an extremely accommodating hotel staff member (David?) was there the entire time to assist guests, replenish the buffet and made sure everything stayed very clean. A great choice for the price!!

This is actually my second review of this hotel and it was once again, a wonderful experience. The room was clean and well appointed and I always appreciate a mini fridge in the room and accessible power outlets to charge my phone. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfy, to the point that I was telling people about them. What made it even better than last time? The staff were amazing, so friendly and warm. Kudos to the hiring manager, you've got a great group of people!

the hotel was convenient to the area and highwaymy only gripe was that why would you have a fridge in a room and have it in the off setting I pulled the fridge out and turned it on but it takes a while to cool down so it was useless to me

The staff training for this Best Western must be excellent, because every employee we encountered was welcoming and professional. The room was clean but slightly smaller than average. The sink has a granite counter and is separate from the bathroom, which makes sharing the room easier. The beds were comfortable and the TV and wifi worked well. There's only one elevator but the stairs are available (not saved for emergency use) and there are fewer than 15 rooms per floor, so there's not a lot of competition for the amenities unless the hotel is full. Breakfast had more options than necessary, albeit on the starchy side. The fruit was a little sad but the eggs were delicious. Peanut butter would be a nice addition. The main downside to this facility is that the walls are quite thin. This wasn't a problem our first two nights, but our third night was a busy Saturday. The man in the next room was Skyping with his girlfriend and I could have taken minutes for their next meeting. The biggest surprise in staying at this hotel was the view from the parking lot. The property backs up to the Connecticut River, and it was lovely to see through the trees.

This hotel is small but close to eateries. The breakfast is adequate and available for more than a couple of hours. The hotel seems quiet and parking is very available. The staff is very accommodating.

Very nice small hotel with inside rooms. Lots of restaurants within a mile of the hotel along with a mall. Rooms are clean and well maintained. The staff were very helpful and friendly. If in West Springfield again this would definitely consider staying here again.

This is a relatively new Best Western Hotel, a little off the interstate but worth the drive of a little less than 2 miles. The room was spacious and very clean. The internet worked well. The desk staff were great, the night staff exceptionally good. We needed to get on the road early and he made us breakfast before we left even though it was earlier than the posted breakfast schedule. There was no problem at all with the staff regarding our service dog. We would certainly stay here again when passing through.

A very clean and well managed Best Western Hotel. The accommodations are 1st class. The staff is professional, timely, and efficient. I am positively impressed with the customer service and management style which exudes an image of "caring for the Hotel guest". I like this Best Western Hotel!

As humans we make mistakes. I accidentally booked my hotel through a 3rd party agency for the wrong date. Instead of 4/15 I booked it for 4/16. The front desk rep advice only the manager can make the changes and that she would be their in the morning. I was on the phone for almost two hours with Orbitz as the rep said if they fax something over stating the date change then he would be able to make the accommodations. I was so tired and fed up had to be new jersey the next day so my husband and I booked a room with the impression that we would have our money refunded the next morning by the hotel manager. The next morning I go and speak to the manger Neesa Patel which was really rude unprofessional and could not believe she was a manager. She said she was a manager representing Best Western and will not give us the the refund for the night that we weren't gonna be there. I called Orbitz while I was in my room and we conferenced the manager and she did not want to hear anything was rude to the Orbitz rep and hung up on them twice. I so appalled by the service from all the staff. The fact that they got paid for a date we weren't even there really upset me and made me look at Best Western differently. On that nigh 4/15 when we got in the room and after we unpacked. My husband went out for a smoke and I locked the door behind him. He then came back and was able to walk right in without using his card. I tried putting the dead bolt and still wouldn't work. Worried that someone would come in while sleeping we immediately informed the staff. The staff checked and realized there was something wrong. So they moved us to another room. Also while eating breakfast we were watching the news and the manager Neesa Patel walks in and rudely turns off the TV and says we're closed. Finish what your eating cause we have to lock up. Very dissatisfied with their service. Do not recommended this hotel.

Easy, comfortable and clean. The welcoming staff made this a memorable experience. The breakfast room staff got our day off to a great start. I have not seen this kind of hospitality in years. Thank you.

The front desk staff and managers are so friendly and welcoming. They asked how the room was and how breakfast was and offered to get my brother and I anything. One of the managers even brought us out some oranges after they had been put away since breakfast time was close to ending. Extremely clean room, lobby and breakfast area.

We stayed at this Best Western in mid-March and were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was for not being a "high-end" hotel. It is on a busy route and is not in a scenic spot, but it is handy to the highway to area attractions. Most importantly, it was neat and clean and looked like the decor had recently been updated. The staff was also very helpful and friendly. We had a room that was a decent size with a king-sized bed that also had a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. We were not bothered by noise from traffic or other guests. The hotel did provide wifi and a free continental breakfast, but we didn't use either of those amenities since we were only there one night and wanted to go out for breakfast that morning. It is handy to drive to nearby restaurants, gas stations, and stores, but they are not necessarily in walking distance. We were there to go to the Majestic Theater and saw signs that indicated the Big E fairgrounds were nearby. If you need to stay in the Springfield area it is a bit more affordable on this side of the Connecticut River as opposed to Springfield itself. We would definitely stay here again.

Have stayed at this property when it was a Days Inn. Since the change over to Best Western, things have greatly improved. Rooms have been redecorated, beds were comfortable, and breakfast was decent, offering some hot food. Very convenient location to the Big E if you are going to an event there.

I have had many "included" continental breakfast but Best Westerns was the best! Served from 6AM til 10AM. Such variety! I had to choose between apple or orange juice, blueberry or apple juice, steaming hot or ice coffee. A toaster was available for white or wheat bread and English muffins. Rolls for egg and sausage sandwiches. A wide variety of individual cereal boxes with ice cold milk. For a lighter fare, fresh fruit or yogurt. Best of all, a staff member was present to work his magic with the waffle iron! Let me say, the rooms were large with 2 King size beds, fridge, iron n board, hair dryer, coffee maker n supplies. Great night sleep n hearty breakfast! Check it out!

This hotel is fantastic! The staff is great and goes above and beyond for the guest. Extremely clean and the place looks brand new, the staff obviously takes a lot of pride. The only thing that is lacking is the breakfast but that's a given at most hotels.

In town to visit family, needed a reasonable place to stay. We usually stay at the #1 hotel in the area, Hampton, but didn't want to spend the big bucks. This hotel totally fit the bill!! Reasonable price, same size room as the more expensive hotel. Quiet and extremely comfortable beds!! Great hot breakfast! Perfect!! Employees were extremely helpful!! Like coming home :-)

i go to RR hobby show at the BIG E each yr; this was first stay here because of lower rate . the room was ok fine B-fast was mediocre but i expect ed issue with broken ice machine right off RT 5 going north but you have to go further north to turn arounf

It was perfect for our family! It is not far from Six flags New England. Our room was very clean. It looks almost like new. Staff was very friendly and helpful when we ask them for directions and shopping suggestions. We will definitely return to this hotel!

Great price. Rooms clean and quiet. Close to the Interstate. Staff here are great. I do not stay in Best Western's much at all, but really enjoyed the night I spent here on business in October. If I have to, I will stay again.

We travel often to West Springfield and the Best Western was convenient, offered good amenities, and was well appointed. Room was comfortable and hotel was very clean and up-to-date. Staff extremely helpful and attentive. Breakfast was just OK, though.

This is a nice, clean, quiet, well-run motel. Nothing fancy but perfect for a good night's rest after a long day at Equine Affaire. Very clean public areas and rooms, comfy beds, adjustable room temperature (important at this time of year when temps can dip & rise), windows that open, free wi-fi, good basic complimentary breakfast, efficient & friendly staff. I was pleased with everything.

Was very neat & clean. Friendly staff. This is definitely a no frills hotel, rooms were basic & small but it was clean. For the amount of time we spend in the room it was fine. Breakfast was poor, again, we didn't stay there for the breakfast but fresh coffee (not a push button machine) would have been nice.

This hotel is pretty much centrally located, good shopping, good restaurants and sights. Rooms are small, but very accomodating, with everything you'd want to feel comfortable. We would definitely stay there again. We visited the Basketball Hall of Fame, downtown Springfield, also a restaurant called "Plan B", located on the premises of the Basketball Hall of Fame, where the good is excellent tasting and service is also very good.

This Best Western does not serve a full breakfast like most other Best Western do. The room was very clean. The sink is in the entrance space in the room with a toilet and shower as separate room - a curtain covers the closet instead of a pocket door. The room was quiet and comfortable. I rated it "very good" because it was so well maintained.

This is a motel - not a hotel - not an "Inn" - - - a motel. This does not represent the Best Western brand at it's finest. If you are looking for a clean, serviceable motel, then this would be a good match for you. Do not expect anything more. It has the potential to be much better but clearly the management like it the way it is - a minimal offering motel with a less than stellar "continental" breakfast. If there was a category/rating between Poor and Average - UNDER-ACHIEVER would be this property.

The front deck manager was very accommodating. The room and amenities were better then most at this price range. I like stay with Best Western Hotels because they are constantly good and well maintained.

This is a smaller hotel that has received some attention to make it look newer and modern again. What we noticed is the smaller size of the room. Even with 2 double beds (no rooms with queen size beds available), the room feels smaller than most Best Westerns we've been in. The decor however was up-to-date, the room was clean and front-desk service was fine. We asked for a couple of spare blankets, but had to bring them back because they smelled like some sort of chemical. No alternative was available. Similarly, only 1 extra pillow was available (and the hotel was not busy). The bathroom suffered from the same malady as many hotels - the ventilation is poor so that a hot shower dumps a lot of humidity into the main room as soon as you open the bathroom door. Perhaps that is also why the bathroom ceiling had a small buckled section. On the bright side, the shower head was high enough that someone 6'5" could stand under it without bending. The breakfast room was unattended, but is spacious for such a small hotel. Breakfast itself was just a little bit above basic, with muffins that were so small that I would have been embarrassed to take enough to satisfy my average-sized appetite.

We've recently discovered this Best Western Springfield West Inn (West Springfield, MASS) and have decided to make it our "home base" when visiting friends and family in Western Massachusetts! The staff is outstanding, the Inn is clean and modern and the location can't be topped!

This hotel is an exceptional value compared to other hotels in the area. I thought this hotel was new. Recently renovated from another brand, every thing is new ,fresh and very clean. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are completely up to date with full amenities including a fridge with separate freezer. The beds are great, actually rival some hotels that tout their beds comfort. We stayed four nights while on business, and would recommend this hotel with reservation.

When we visited the road and parking were just tarmacked so there was quite a smell (not great to take a swim), but apart from that our room was clean and comfortable but breakfast was disappointing. We did like the waffle maker though.

Desk clerk was pleasant and helpful. Everything looks new, décor is well done. Would definitely stay here again. Breakfast was the usual and coffee was good. Included a fridge. Convenient to Mass Pike.

We decided to stay at the Best Western because I had received a gift card. I was pleased with the hotel. It was easy to find, not far from the Residence Inn where we usually stay. The lobby was bright and clean and the desk personnel were most helpful. We had brought our bikes on the way to the cape and the desk clerk helped us to secure them in the electrical room. Our room was clean and comfortable and very reasonably priced. There was a nice pool and a small fitness room but our stay was brief so I wasn't able to use either. The breakfast was disappointing, small selection of items, the usual waffles but no meat and the egg patties were rather rubbery. But having said that, we weren't there for the breakfast. I would recommend this Best Western for a comfortable stay.

Great for visit to Big E, less than 2 miles away and easy from Mass Pike. Receptionist provided clear directions on check-in. Would have liked liquid creamer for coffee and banana but that was a minor complaint.

Room was fine. Breakfast was terrible. Seriously, who eats that crap? Best Western advertises breakfast, and it used to be descent, this was the worst, I have one more gift card to get rid of, then I look for other chains. Best Western should reevaluate their standards!

This BW had my requirements. Everything was spotlessly clean and it was quiet so sleep was undisturbed. The TV set was a good one. I didn't use the WiFi, but it was free and the password was supplied at check-in. The room had been done over recently or at least it seemed to have been recent. The young man at the desk was pleasant and efficient. The only inconvenience was that there was only one sink. It was located outside of the small bathroom and had virtually no counter space on which to put toiletries. Except for that I would have rated the facility as excellent.

After 15 years of staying at red roof in on rt 5,faced with finding new spot due to sellout....what a relief when we checked into a renovated facility that's quieter,cleaner and better managed. Despite being directly on riverdAle and in between two no tell motels ,quiet and no disturbances. Nice gym,breakfast room and outdoor pool. Drinks and snacks for sale. Five minutes from large mall with multiple stores and restaurants...closer to downtown than the red roof and no interstate noise. Only advantage of the rr is three restaurants within walk distance. More $ but worth it.
