Best Western Plus Waterbury - Stowe

Great value, Great location for sliing, and local fun, mins from Black back pub, great town. Friendly staff and don't forget to grab a homemade cookie at the front desk, the staff here takes extra care of you and always greeted with a smile. I have been staying here for over nights to ski trips for about 7 years.

We stay here when we ski at Sugarbush. It is always clean, has a nice hot tub / pool, and a very good breakfast. It is consistantly good. There are an adequate number of good restaurants for dinner just a 5 minute drive away. We will return.

Family had a great stay. I've stayed at a few BW before and this is by far the best one I've been at. Better than most Hiltons or Marriotts I've been to as well. The staff were attentive and nice. The place was clean. The pool and hot tub were bigger than most hotels. The game room was a nice surprise. The fitness center had everything you'd expect. The beds were comfortable. Probably the best complimentary hotel breakfast I've had. The employees working breakfast were very friendly and were either restocking items or cleaning. Can't say I see that often or ever. I'd definitely stay here again.

This is the perfect place to stay the weekend in Waterbury VT for a ski trip, family vacation, or even for business. Super clean rooms, great breakfast, nice, clean pool and hot tub. And a pretty covered bridge leading to walking trails behind the building.

Really the title says it all! The hotel was great, good location for several ski areas. The breakfast was hands down the best of any included hotel breakfast, and I travel often! The staff was super accommodating! We enjoyed our stay!

When staying at this kind of hotel, at the minimum I expect rooms to be clean, comfortable, and quiet, and the staff to be friendly and helpful. This stay exceeded my expectations. The spa/activities area, the reusable water bottle filler, and the cookies and keurig in the lobby were a nice bonus and the breakfast had a lot of options for those with dietary restrictions.

Our hockey team traveled from ME to VT for a hockey tournament. Though this hotel does not allow knee hockey, their staff were extremely responsive, helpful, and accommodating. Anything our team needed, they were on it immediately. 10 out of 10, would definitely stay again.

Stayed one night on the way back to Maine after dropping our grand daughter at UVM. Location right off I 89 was easy to find. The front desk was very helpful. We had a king room and it was very comfortable and the wifi was easy to access. The breakfast was well done, especially the waffles with the real Vermont syrup. We would stay there again should circumstances warrant.

Super comfortable room, very clean and spacious. Breakfast was hot, plentiful and the staff at breakfast and the front desk were very helpful and friendly. I was travelling with a tweenage so pool was great and the hotle is con eniently located to all the great attractions in the area.

Excellent hotel. Clean room. Awesome breakfast with many choices to choose from. Also everything is nicely spaced so people aren't gathering in a small location. Very accessible hotel to downtown and to Ben and Jerry's. Highly recommend this hotel. Although it is on the pricey side.

My husband and I stayed at the Best Western Waterbury, VT for 4 days at the end of September 2023. We had quite an enjoyable experience. All staff - front desk, housekeeping, breakfast bistro were VERY pleasant. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Our room was QUITE clean and had everything we needed. The landscape was beautiful and well kept. The hotel also had a pool, hot tub. outdoor fire (gas, I think), ping pong table, air hockey table, exercise room and living room stocked with books, games and puzzles. Would definitely stay there again! All 10's on a scale of 1-10. Thank you, Best Western! :)

The outdoor landscaping & facilities were amazing and unexpected. The grounds were beautifully maintained. They took full advantage of their location. Free breakfast was delicious and the staff friendly.

We came to Waterbury to try a local restaurant and decided to stay at this hotel and it was an all around excellent decision. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. The breakfast selection was great, thanks Mandy! A great place.

The property is beautiful with a covered bridge. We enjoyed the jacuzzi, sat by the fire pit drinking coffee and hot chocolate. Used the activity room for cheese and wine. Breakfast and staff were top notch!

ACTUALLY VISITED SEPT 2019 … My Review has been sitting in DRAFTS and never POSTED. MY MISTAKE I GUESS BUT AM SUBMITTING NOW SINCE I HAD TAKEN THE TIME TO WRITE IT BACK THEN. HERE IS WHAT I WROTE AT THAT TIME: This Best Western is probably the best one (or definitely in the top few) that I have stayed. The room was spacious, clean, and so comfortable. We had a great overnight here and felt safe in this area. The breakfast was quite good in the bistro on the premises — complimentary, too. We were called prior to our stay to see if we would be interested in an upgrade. We accepted and loved our stay. The hotel sits on a steep hill and is very easy off and back on the highway. Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Tour is just a short ways down the road as well as the Cold Hollow Apple Cider Mill, both of which are worthy stops, too. There is a large parking lot at this hotel so parking should not be an issue here. Check-in and check-out both went very well with very nice service from Tanya and Matt. Based on our experience here, I would certainly recommend that others stay here as well. P.S. (added in 2023) …. We have traveled to all 50 states now and have stayed in many, many hotels. After a while, they become a blur in your memory, but we STILL remember this Best Western in Vermont! That's a good thing! Hope to return here some day.

I was a little shocked by how much this hotel cost, but in all fairness, it exceeded my expectations of a Best Western. Definitely the nicest BW I've ever stayed in. Staff was friendly and attentive, our room was VERY clean, and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was better than expected but limited. I was surprised they had hot options, which was nice. Dining area was also VERY clean. Location is very good for through travelers, right off the highway. We were headed to UVM in Burlington and stopped here for the night. It worked out very well. If you wanted to be right in Stowe, that would be a bit of a drive, but probably better value for money than the hotels downtown.

Welcoming from the time I checked in to the time I checked out. Diversity in their staff makes a difference. Breakfast is a buffet, delicious, variety, real eggs, fresh fruits, fresh yogurt. Just amazing!

We have traveled nearly the whole country and this is one of the best run hotels we've seen! Obviously, the general manager is running a tight ship and doing a great job. Thanks to everyone there for a great stay!

We encounter an issue during our stay and due to how we were treated by hotel management, we will not be back. We were gaslit and talked down to by the hotel manager and cannot look past that. It's unfortunate as we have been regular patrons of this hotel for years and were only trying to remedy the situation. Separate from this incident, the hotel room felt/smelled wet and mildewy. So much so that my husband had to use his inhaler. Given humidity was high during our stay, we did not report this to staff and is separate from the incident mentioned above. We were in room 215. There are better, nicer, cheaper hotels just 30 minutes away in Burlington.

Very picturesque hotel in the Stowe area. This hotel has a castle like appearance. Check in process went smoothly. The room itself also has an old school look to it. I wouldn't consider the rooms very comfortable as the beds are small. We had 2 double beds. This hotel is also laid out as a long hotel, so plan to do plenty of walking. No microwave in the room but there was one in the hallway by the icemaker. We did utilize the pool & hot tub. It is a very nice are with glass panels around it. I am guessing it closes in the winter though. There is also a very nice seating area outside that they have a fire pit. Breakfast was just ok. There was nothing that stands out other than an attendant who while nice, is floating around for tips. Would stay here again when visiting.

Out of Best Westerns in Lake Placid, Lake George, and New Hampshire this is the nicest Best Western we've been to. The staff is so nice and accommodating. There's a great spread for breakfast, featuring local Vermont foods. There's also plenty to do, from the pool, to the game room, to puzzle and books in the lounge.

My wife and I love staying at this property. It's clean, quiet, and the staff are welcoming and knowledgeable about the local area. It is very kid friendly and we love the pool, play area, and walking trails. Every time we stay in Waterbury/Stowe, this is the place we pick.

Really well run location. Staff all exceptionally friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and comfortable. Amenities abound. Really nice grounds and outdoor features including fire pit, a trail and covered bridge. Great breakfast including egg whites and waffles maker. Dog friendly.

We loved this hotel stay with kids and 10 grandkids! The breakfast was very good and all the staff were so very friendly! We loved the pool and a nice playground and separate swings. Beautiful property with a covered bridge and lots of flowers outside the indoor pool that you can walk to .

It's great to find a place that accommodates pets and is clean. The Best Western Plus in Waterbury VT's environment is pleasant and the staff is very welcoming. The location is great and they make an effort to provide lots of amenities such as outdoor dog areas, and an outdoor gas fireplace, Breakfast is also available, along with a study area, game room and pool.

Very clean room & incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Unfortunately our first floor room smelled of mildew & seemed quite damp. The coffee was much better than your average hotel coffee, and breakfast was delicious.

Hotel was dated in the style, but everything was very well maintained, smelled nice, and was in great condition. I would recommend this hotel if you're staying in the area. however it could be about $25 less for this small town. Not too much to do in the area. Would only recommend staying 1 to 2 days.

We've stayed here several times, at different seasons of the year, and have always been impressed with how managed this place is. The included breakfast is a special treat, the staff is friendly, and the rooms are spotless. We'll be back.

Seven of us, age 8 to 76 decide to take a vacation together-our first as a mini family. It was a long drive from NY and PA to VT. We arrived tired and checking in was a breeze. Beds and linens were comfortable, coffee, ice, snakes, flavored water were readily available. Staff were friendly and helpful, getting us cups and spoons for our Ben and Jerrys. Guests were a great cross section of people, friendly to our dog and not annoyed by the volume of the younger set. Breakfast staff were charming and so helpful, selection had something for all of us.

I love the hike trail and playground onsite. There was something for everyone to do. I love the in house amenities. They had a game room, in door pool and jacuzzi, onsite washer and dryer, and wonderful staff members. The view of the mountain was breatheless.

Was traveling to Burlington on MLK wknd with my wife and the three “kids” (all in their 20s) when, spoiled brats that they are, they all bagged out. The wife, who'd arranged the trip, was disappointed but determined to get away just the same, so the two of us drove up anyway. We kept the reservation at the only available 3-bed econoroom she could find and checked in on Friday the 13th. No fault of the hotel but it was too much room for too two people and a bit too loud for a light sleeper like myself. Determined to rescue my better half from the funk created by our selfish and ungrateful brats, I switched gears and booked a room at BW. The criteria was simple enough but needed to be met without fuss or fanfare. As amusing as this post may seem I was very serious about swooping in and giving my wife as perfect a weekend as I could. So I took advantage of my sleepless night to search the area. The hotel was close to the highway but insulated from the sights and sounds. And it's surrounded by trees rather than structures. The room was big, cozy, plush and offered a view of the mountains (which she noticed right away and commented on.) I let her check in while I grabbed the luggage, and when I walked into the room she met me at the door with a BIG smirk and said “This room is nicer than the other one” and we both laughed. Win! And I didn't waste any time nickel and diming and didn't have to pay through the nose. She checked the place out while I unpacked my stuff and came back to the room with “The seating area in the lobby is comfy, also the hot tub is running so I'll be in it tomorrow. And you should see the activity room it's beautiful…” The rest of the stuff is the usual “staff is great, breakfast is great, service is great” but it's true, and it mattered because of how we came to stay there. We stayed 2 nights and left Monday after a post-check out walk along the covered bridge trail behind the hotel. Bottom line, you get what you pay for; nice digs, nice area, nice grub (tortillas at the breakfast buffet…score!) and nice staff.

We spent a pleasant and calm NYE here. We never heard the other guests. The pool, hot tub, game room, and communal sitting room (couches, TV, bookshelves) were nice, and I imagine would greatly benefit longer term guests. There's a small playground out back, and their own covered bridge, leading to some hiking paths. We didn't find much food that delivered, but there were several restaurants and a grocery store within a few minute drive. Breakfast was nice, with hot and cold options. I will say the driveway is incredibly steep. I would use caution if driving in wintery conditions.

A terrific place to stay, right off Rt. 89..staff, cleanliness,comfort, all great..a very good value. The breakfast is possibly the best we had in the many motels we have stayed..nicely run, good value place.

Nice, clean very friendly and family oriented hotel with good locatioan to Spruce peak, cross country ski center. Very close to hiking trails. Good breakfast with good chose of fresh food and bakary. Nice swiming pool and intertament zone including fireplace, pinpong table, air hokky table, variety of books, cozy couches with big tv screan - feels almost home. Good for travaling with pets. Im gonna stay there next time too.

No housekeeping. Prepare to empty your own trash, leave towels in the hallway if you want clean ones. Sheets are changed weekly for long stays. No services nor discount for multiple night stays. Certainly not worth the price.

This hotel was amazing my kids had so much fun in the indoor pool and hottub. They even had a gameroom with ping-pong and air hockey. The fitness center was amazing it had triple the amount of weights and machines then any hotel I have ever stayed at in the past

Do you like paying for “premium” internet access because the regular doesn't work like it's 2002? Do you like getting billed extra due to checking out early? Do you like food poisoning so that you wind up spending a good portion of a day blasting the bottom out of a toilet? And finally do you like horrible managers that make you want to never go back to another best western location again? Well look no further, because this is the place for you! They have it all, horrible food, garbage internet, and a management staff that can be best described as a festival of disappointment. If I ever have to come back to that area again, I'll sleep in my car.

We go yearly to play the Vermont Flames youth hockey. Hotel is well situated off the highway and between Waterbury and Stowe…got to go to University of Vermont game, about 35 min away, …about 15 min to rinks, food available 10 min in both directions. They give very good group team rates, provide breakfast, …highly recommend for youth traveling sports teams.

we stayed on weekend at Waterbury 2 kids. The kids liked the pool and playground. the room was clean and reasonable size for a group of 2 Adult+ 2 kids the Breakfast was nice overall specially the waffles. Internet was slow and for the upgrade version u had to pay around $5 dollars which we didn't.

All of the staff that we dealt with were friendly. Our room was clean and everything was in working order. There were no issues and we had a pleasant stay. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

I was booked here for work for a two day regional training event, and let me say if I could leave the hotel I'm at now as I speak and come back there I would ! The breakfast hands down one of the best experiences I've had as a guest having to dine at a hotel ! There shower pressures are one of the best I've experienced, no complaints only thing that I was not fond of is that only there suites held microwaves so as s traveling nurse that would have been a bit to deal with having to come in and out the room every time I wanted to heat something up. I loved the diversity in the staff , it was nice to see people who looked like me instead of waking up every morning having people stare at you like your kind doesn't exist in 2022! The amenities and the scenery was nice as well got some great fall pictures . I would definitely come back .

Great location with a beautiful view. I left something in the room and the staff was so quick to react and call me to let me know. I was only 15min into my almost 400 mile drive back home. Shavoy and Pam acted so quick that I was able to turn around. If and when I visit again I will absolutely stay at this best western.

Second stay. This is a great place to stay. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was typical continental breakfast, but it was very well tended. The gentlemen kept everything filled. Just a very clean property. Well managed.

It sits conveniently by Waterbury and close to Stowe and sights. Room was clean and spacious. They have a great breakfast and great staff who stay on top of food and supplies. Scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage (rotates) ,a veggie medley & egg whites one day, potatoes, oatmeal, cereals & breads. Fruit, waffle maker and more. Great selection. Laundry was a little pricy at 2.75 & 3.00 to wash & dry. Only complaint were those next to us. One side had kids bouncing off the walls /floors. Sounded like a stampede going on & other-side a lady who had no clue what soft talking was. Up Very early with her & others carrying on. Not hotels fault, but guest need to understand they have people next door. Great Stay otherwise.

Would recommend and stay here again for sure. Great location, about 15 minute drive into Stowe. Hotel room was super clean and updated which I was not expecting. Beds were small but fine. Breakfast that was included in the stay was awesome and one of the best hotel breakfasts I've had. Great property overall.

At $340 a night one would certainly expect the room to be serviced. There is a sign announcing this unacceptable situation, and the website might also specify it, but not ok! Views from property are wonderful and the staff is very nice, especially in the breakfast room.

I have been staying at this hotel for the past 15 years and it never disappoints. It is an older hotel, but they keep it up to date. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I will be staying there again when I visit the area.

We choose this BW instead of another nearby facility. This was " a better choice". This location was much more convenient than we expected it to be. The staff was very helpful and attentive, the breakfasts were plentiful and with good variety, the pool area was good sized and with a hot tub, and while the room was compact there was a "great room" in which to enjoy an evening snack, or beverage, some card playing and a large screen tv. This was a better choice, and we expect to stay there again.

Will never use Best Western again It was the worst experience in a hotel I have ever had, and I've stayed in hotels throughout the world, good and bad. We booked online, pet friendly accommodations, and went it went south, somehow it was our fault their booking was wrong.

Great service....extremely clean. We enjoyed our morning breakfast. Perfect location while visiting Ben & Jerry's and other local businesses. Beautiful area to drive and enjoy the sites. Everyone was very friendly. We would highly recommend coming back to this hotel on our next visit.

We have stayed here a few times as a family and it's always a pleasure. Our favorites: the staff, the pool area, the reading area, and the morning breakfast. Our son is pre-teen and really enjoys the pool and because it's in a spacious, large atrium we all really enjoy it as well.

There was so much to love about this hotel! The beautiful and dog-friendly grounds, the pool (my husband even went swimming - TWICE!), the 'great room' (where I spent early morning time without disturbing my roomie), friendly and helpful staff (who actually ran out to the car with a pair of glasses that almost got left behind), hiking trails and great breakfasts (So. Many. Choices.) all made for a perfect stay. My only (very minor) complaint was that the refrigerator temperature was set too high and froze everything solid resulting in us having to dispose of some food. I have already recommended this hotel to everyone who asked about our vacation. PS There was even a motorcycle washing station!

From the friendly and polite and accommodating staff to the great indor pool and the jacuzzi and the beautiful grounds around the hotel to the great big breakfast served,it was well worth the price and I highly recommend this hotel

This is a great place. The grounds and the hotel areVERY clean. The Staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very good better than most places that offer it, a good selection of food options. This hotel is also Pet friendly and has a nice area to walk you pet. The room was spacious enoug and the beds were quite comfortable. A+

Booked our stay on the recommendation of our nephew. It was in a beautiful location with lots of thoughtful amenities. The kids loved the pool and everyone appreciated the complimentary breakfast. Terrific place.

the breakfast room stands out.... waffles, eggs, sausage or bacon, good coffee, toast, granola... really excellent included breakfast. The room was clean, the TV, microwave, and mini-fridge all worked.... the staff were without exception cheerful, friendly, and competent.

Unexpectedly wonderful stay. Beautiful grounds, a little covered bridge, some short walking trails. Clean rooms, great amenities, friendly and responsive staff, great breakfast buffet. Only problem I could see is if you go in the winter, the road to the entrance and the entrance are very steep. Would probably need all-wheel or 4-wheel drive (or snow tires).

We stayed at this hotel a little over 6 years ago on our very first couples getaway and loved it. So when we started planning our honeymoon to Maine, we knew we wanted to stop here again on the way. This hotel is wonderful! From the clean, well decorated room, to the friendly staff, amazing amenities, and the reasonable rate, you can't go wrong! We loved the breakfast too! Everything was so clean, and was replenished throughout the breakfast. And so many choices! It has all the typical options like fresh made waffles, eggs, and bacon. But also had extras, like ingredients for breakfast burritos, home fries, and seasoned veggies! Everything was delicious! All the extras at this hotel are wonderful too! My husband and I played air hockey and ping pong (both are free), and enjoyed the library/sitting room that you discover on the way to the pool area. And the pool area is equally impressive! The pool water was warm enough to get right in and stay in for a while and never feel cold! And the hot tub was the right amount of hot where it didn't feel lukewarm after you got used to it, and again very clean and towels restocked and plentiful! We also enjoyed the beautiful covered bridge at the back of the hotel. We walked through it and hiked the small trails behind the bridge, and afterwards we sat on the beautiful wooden swing and took in the view. We then went back in the lobby and had some of the delicious watermelon infused water! And with Ben and Jerry's a half mile down the road, what more can you ask! We can't wait to come back and are already planning an anniversary trip back!

We were exhausted after an almost 5 hour drive and got in just before midnight. The room was visibly not cleaned properly. There were chips crumbs on the floor and a straw wrapper and one of the beds the sheets looked slightly wrinkled and "used". I had stayed here a few months ago and was quite satisfied with everything so this was quite disappointing for only the 2nd time here and the price.

This hotel is amazing possible best hotel I've ever stayed at!! There were lots of trolleys to carry suitcases inside. In addition their games room was brilliant and very entertaining! Their pool was refreshing and relaxing and to top it off there was a lot of variety at breakfast!

When I arrived I showed my reservation and my special rewards card. When she tried to check in sshe was unable to read my credit card. She said : Oh you have no money in your account. A bottomless cheek, what this employee has allowed. She is unable to serve the check-in. If it was up of her I should sleep in my car. Never again this hotel!

This was by far the best hotel I have ever stayed at! The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was amazing, with a jacuzzi and fully equipped shower, including a bench and hand rails. It had all the amenities I needed. And the breakfast area was awesome, including a waffle maker and numerous items to choose from. The pool area was beautiful and well maintained, and the complimentary cookies were a plus. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone staying in the area.

Fantastic welcome, really quick to check in and reception staff were a delight to chat with. Room a great size, super clean and nice bathroom. We loved the pool area and also the games room was a hit with the kids. Free tea and coffee available and complimentary breakfast. Can't recommend this place highly enough!!

This hotel was a great find. We had a very pleasant experience. Everything was just as is should be and the staff were all so nice. We visited several close attractions and came back to a nice quiet room. Everything was exceptionally clean. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

The staff at this hotel are very friendly and kind. We were greeted with smiles when we arrived and check in and out was easy and quick. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. There is a beautiful common area inside as well as a room with ping pong and air hockey. The pool area is beautiful. Take time to walk around the grounds. There is a walking trail, a covered bridge and lots of seating for viewing the scenery. Breakfast was delicious! Would stay here again!

Everything was exceptional from staff to room cleanliness to pool and the warm cookies in the lobby. Would recommend staying here without hesitation, by far exceeds expectations of a chain hotel brand.

This is by far the best hotel experience we have ever had, and we have frequented other chains in the past too, especially Hilton. This property is unmatchable in ever aspect of service and hospitality! As others have mentioned, the breakfast is just silly amazing! Do NOT miss staying here if you are fortunate enough to visit Vermont!

Very nice and clean. Beautiful breakfast room and activity room in the back. We went as a group and enjoyed all the space! Beautiful bathroom and shower. Shower is definitely a plus for tall people, it was mounted well over 7 feet. Breakfast had huge waffle station and many hot choices as well as plenty cereals and a yogurt machine.

This location is immaculate with amazing amenities. Most notable is breakfast. Blueberry compote, Vermont maple syrup, egg whites, roasted veggies are seldom seen on complimentary hotel breakfasts. Sparkling pool area, well stocked with towels. Cookies, 24 hour coffee bar and fruit infused water are amenities usually found at 5 star hotels. The location is perfect for touring Vermont.

One of the nicest BW's I have stayed at...Room was spacious, clean and comfortable and the property itself is lovely with a covered bridge and paths through the woods you can walk into. If you're looking for a room in Waterbury, Vermont and don't mind paying "up" a bit this is a great choice.

This is a very nice facility. The grounds are lovely, there were free cookies. the pool and the hot tub were great. Our room was huge and very comfortable. But the mattress on our bed desperately needed replacing, it was like a pile of mush.

This hotel far exceeded my expectations. It is located right off the highway exit, central to many great businesses for tourists. The beautiful grounds were a bonus- I didn't even need to leave to enjoy the beauty of Vermont! The entire staff was so friendly and helpful. The chef prepared breakfast was restaurant quality- far beyond a typical continental breakfast offering. I can't say enough about this wonderful hotel!! Thank you! Highly recommend--- AND, the price was more than reasonable for such awesome accommodations!

Cleaning of room was subpar (food left in fridge from previous rental, crumbs on floor). Staff & manager dismissed issues as a simple “oversight” and never apologized. Breakfast was way too salty, making it almost inedible. Rooms are okay at best. Not big by any means, especially not if bringing playpen for young child to sleep. Nice facility, but need better staff overall to ensure it reaches its full potential.

Rooms were nice. Exception was only double beds and not queen beds. Limited number of suits. Fantastic breakfast. Great pool. Great grounds. The covered bridge on the property was a treat. We also took advantage of the 2 walking trails.

We could not be happier. The rooms were well kept, the service excellent. This during a nationwide labor shortage. I walked in to find free cookies and water with fruit in the lobby. Excellent desk staff checked me in. We didn't see any of this at the four-star hotel We just left in Burlington that cost almost twice as much. The Maintenance guy, Sean, went out of his way to help us with a car problem. He volunteered to help, he took his lunch half hour to drive us around getting things we needed. The continental breakfast was amazing, I haven't seen one like that in years. The head chef was right there making sure everything was filled, fresh, delicious. Often with continental breakfast it is a choice of "is there anything that I want to eat?" Here it was a question of "will I get full before I can try everything that I want to eat?" And I'm vegetarian, so even skipping the piles of well-made bacon, there was lots to eat. Nothing ran empty, the tables were always clean and ready. Make your own waffles, haven't seen those in years. Free Keurig coffee, tea, and hot chocolate is available 24 hours. There's even a real coffee maker available 24 hours. Two Microwaves for guests to use. Big fridges in the rooms, it's still a mini fridge, but it's a college-sized mini fridge not a mini-bar sized mini fridge. The beds are only double beds, which is a little small, but that's up front when you book the room. They're really clear about that, so I'm still giving the full five stars. Again, the room is clean and well kept. Extra blanket in the closet. The shower has the big containers of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in pumps ready to use, not the annoying little bottles you get everwhere else. Stayed in room 137. AC worked well, not too loud. Decent variety of TV channels. Your towels smell great and they are fluffy not scratchy. Great pool, nice hot tub. Free air hockey and table tennis in the game room. Two lovely seating areas just open and available for use. One even has a library. Good for families, good for dogs. There were a lot of families when we stayed here, although it was still quiet at night. Beautiful landscaping, love the hydrangeas. Location: lovely view. You can see the stars at night. nice glider swings and benches all over, it's got its own covered bridge with walking trails, and it's a half a mile from the Ben & Jerry's factory. Seriously, if you want to stay in Waterbury, this is your place. Even if you want to stay in Stowe, it's only 20 minutes away. This should probably still be your place. Just a welcoming, well appointed place. It's really more of a resort. We have stayed in hotels all over the country, up and down the star scale, from one to five! this is one of our favorites. Congratulations to the staff of Best Western Plus Waterbury. You've done a great job.

Awesome place to stay up in mountains. Staff is amazing, and they offer an out of this world breakfast. Place is clean and very quaint. They offer a ton of amenities like pool, hot tub, game room, laundry service, several sitting areas with fireplaces, a covered bridge outback, benches outside to take in scenery. It's beautiful there . Don't go anywhere else.

If you book a pet friendly room, be aware that pets are not able to be left alone in the room. This was our first time booking a hotel room with our dog so didn't even realize this was a possibility. We booked directly with the hotel to ensure a pet friendly room was available. The person taking my call sighed with every question I asked or answered-basic reservation questions like name, address and phone- could barely hide her annoyance. She did not get the reservation correct and I had to call back to amend it. We became aware of the pet policy on arrival but could not find a pet friendly vacancy elsewhere. We tried other contingencies but ultimately had to skip the event we were there to attend. We asked to speak to a manger to discuss as we wanted to skip staying a second night. We never received a call. I did share our experience directly with Best Western both at the hotel and in the follow up survey. This is just an fyi. They also double charged for the pet fee. I was told I needed to take it up with my credit card company. Fortunately the charge was reversed before I needed to dispute the charge. Otherwise the hotel was nice and staff friendly. Breakfast was the usual and the cafe very clean. The property had plenty of space for walking the dog even a few trails. They had a dog blanket and treats available too. Our room was on the first floor and conveniently near an entrance. As an aside, the road to the hotel and the driceway are on a very significant incline so be aware for winter travel.

Everything was perfect They have all amenities, game rooms, swimming pool, very good breakfast. Rooms were clean, staff was very kind and humble, good free parking , quick check in and check out . Overall amazing stay and would be staying here next time as well.. highly recommended

Absolutely beautiful hotel. More courteous, pleasant and helpful staff than any in recent memory. (Like a time machine trip to 2019) . Coffee, paper, homemade cookies and lemon water in lobby. I'm normally anxious about hotel stays but the room was so clean and odorless I never worried at all. Not a crumb in a hallway or stair or even parking lot. Pool was roomy, hot tub was hot AND both clean and open. Breakfast was so satisfying. Fresh veggies, maple syrup, creamery butter. Coffee pot always full. Every waffle we ironed was magically perfect. Hotel has a wooded trail and covered bridge right on the grounds. TOTAL and complete, roomy gym. Cozy, informal gathering space with large screen TV. Ga.e room with air hockey and ping pong. Half mile to Ben and Jerrys Factory, great pizza house, bustling downtown. Fell in love with this lifestyle in one rainy weekend. Thank you!!!!

This BW exceeded my expectations. It's a scenic piece of property. Nice covered bridge, swing, and mountain views. Nice play area for kids. Clean rooms. Comfortable, pleasantly designed public areas make it a great hotel for people traveling with others. You can hang out in the lounge or play some ping pong! The gym is great and I was very happy to be able to work out with good equipment. Not all BWPs have good gyms. Thank you, Waterbury BW for helping me stay healthy! Breakfast area and food are well managed, If I return to the area, I will definitely stay there again.

Stopped in with my family and dog. The hotel is clean,wonderful aminities, great staff and wonderful breakfast area. The covered bridge area and little path in the forest area was just wonderful. It nice to see that you can incorporate a hotel and still preserving nature area. We will definitely come back!.

Amazing hotel with amazing amenities and incredible breakfast; compared to all the breakfasts I've had recently in other hotels, this location offers much better food!! Pool is simply awesome!!! It is enclosed with half the walls and an entire ceiling made out of see through glass/plastic material, so you can see the sky and trees; we used it every single day we were there!!! Staff is very nice, helpful and extremely courteous!! They are building a fire pit (as we were told) and I can't wait to sit next to warm fire with a drink in the evening time next time we are there. I definitely recommend this hotel and we are definitely thinking of visiting Vermont and staying at this hotel again!!

Stayed at the Beat Western Plus in Waterbury VT....excellent stay - accommodations first rate, food was yummy with real maple syrup for my oatmeal. Staff first rate!!! Great price, great amenities, great views - simply the best of Vermont!

Beautifully landscaped grounds, knowledgeable friendly staff and clean comfortable beds. We witnessed staff cleaning constantly which put my mind at ease during these COVID times. Pool and recreation areas was also clean and comfortable. My family will definitely choose this hotel every time we are in the area!

First time staying at a Best Western Plus and very glad we chose this hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The property is relaxing and comfortable. There is a big room for sitting by the fire and playing games. The pool and fitness center is very nice. The breakfast is unbelievably good with a nice staff putting out the good eats. Big safe parking lot, parking is free. We would highly recommend this place.

The hotel is placed in the most beautiful surroundings. It is simply breathtaking. The grounds were kept nice and they have a beautiful bridge to walk over to a picnic table. We enjoyed the lounge area and my children loved the game room with Ping-Pong and air hockey. The fitness center was very nice as well. Everyone loved breakfast - even those of us who never eat breakfast. If you have the chance, stay here!

The staffs/associates are super nice and friendly. The breakfast is top notch on quality and variety. Trust me!! The pool and game room are spacious…great place to hang out with family and friends. However, the hotel do not provide a microwave in the room, but you can easily use it at the front desk area or you can find at every corner of ice venting machines.

Excellent Staff and Amenities at a great price. Hotel properly is well Maintained. Breakfast was great and Hot Tub & Pool was perfect for a day after skiing. Will stay again when we visit the area next season.

This hotel was a very nice surprise. The hotel manager takes care personally about all small details to ensure everything is excellent. The pool, the room, the breakfast, everything was outstanding. All staff was very friendly.

We had a great experience at this hotel with our family of 4 for a long weekend. The king suite was plenty spacious for 2 adults and 2 kids. The suite was comfortable and homey with the nice wood furniture, gas fireplace, and big bathroom. We loved the pool and hot tub. The breakfast was very good every morning with everything you could want. The kitchen staff kept everything well stocked and fresh. The whole hotel was very clean. We saw staff frequently wiping down door knobs and such. The best thing about our stay was the staff. Everyone was very friendly, helpful, and seemed happy to be at work. The location of the hotel was perfect for our ski trip. It is about 30 min from Stowe Mountain and there are several good restaurants minutes away in the little town of Waterbury. Thank you all for a great stay. We hope we can get back to your hotel in the future!

Staying at the Best Western Plus in Waterbury, VT was a great experience. Its location right off of 89 and close to restaurants, Ben and Jerry's as well as to Stowe, Sugarbush, Smuggler's and Mad River allows for many options of places to go. Nothing was more pleasant then arriving back from skiing and being able to soak in the hot tub and have a relaxing time in the pool. The game room occupied my teenage daughter and her friend for hours and the hotel was clean, staff was friendly and the breakfast was great. What more could you ask for?

We had a great stay here on a four day family trip to the Stowe area. We stayed in one of the king suites which was nice and roomy with a pretty view and close proximity to the breakfast area and front entrance. We enjoyed the breakfast convenience, the cookies by the front desk and the nice pool area during our stay. The hotel was clean and quiet. We dis have issues with not finding towels stocked in the pool area and also with our room keys for some reason suddenly not working each morning, but it was only a small inconvenience. Sean, the maintenance guy, was so helpful and friendly throughout our stay. We would definitely return.

The Best Western Stowe is our go-to lodging when visiting family in Waterbury. Our grandson loves the pool and we enjoy the hot tub. The staff have always been accommodating and helpful, even when our reservations have been made last minute.

We knew it would be a great stay from the moment we arrived in the lobby with a cozy gas fireplace and comfy chairs. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. A nice selection of hot and cold offerings, as well as juices and great coffee. The "Bistro Cafe" hosted the breakfast. It was like entering a restaurant. The breakfast chef checked the offerings repeatedly each morning to make sure there was ample food for all to enjoy. After a day of skiing, the hot tub felt wonderful! Room was spacious, well appointed. A wall plaque introduces the reader to the General Manager. Mentioned in the article was a comment that the manager is a perfectionist. This was clearly demonstrated throughout the hotel. The neatly folded towels on each lounge in the pool area, as well as the crystal clear water was evidence. The very nice breakfast area, as well as the spacious, clean room, etc. was a welcome sight. As we were entering the pool area, a very friendly maintenance worker shared with us he had just completed the daily cleaning. You could tell! Friendly, helpful staff.

We have not traveled to Waterbury over the past 4 years. We stayed at this location based on previous stays and it is as good as ever. Worth returning for a good buffet breakfast, a very nice pool / hot tub, and proximity to good restaurants.

Great staff. Clean and comfortable. Full buffet breakfast included. Great location for skiing stowe, and jay peak. They had warm chocolate chip cookies, fireplace , game rooom. Pool and jacuzzi were excellent. I would highly recommend. I stayed with my son. This is great for families. Restaurants close by as well

Great hotel, yet shower did not work. Hotel was very clean and staff was very friendly. However our shower was either burning or too cold. Hotel did let me use another room to shower which was a pain lugging all my materials back and forth. Hotel had a good bar area but did run out of food when we had some very hungry children. Did not like that the only coffee offered was Starbucks, but across the street is a great little breakfast place.

The hotel staff at this Best Western was extremely helpful and informative. There is a small hiking trail behind the hotel that is very nice. We saw several deer in the woods. The breakfast was excellent. Travis ran the kitchen and the dining room and did a great job. The variety of breakfast foods far surpassed other hotels I have seen in the United States. The cookies in the lobby were DELICIOUS.

We stayed here for a week during the Christmas season and the Covid pandemic. The hotel was understaffed but did all they could to make us comfortable. Great pool and used the fitness room too. The only suggestion I would make is maybe we felt the breakfast room got a wee bit crowded given the times we live in .. perhaps a sign saying it was ok to take stuff back to the rooms (when I asked they were really nice about it). Good job everyone. We will return.

This hotel advertises that they are dog friendly, but the reality is they are not. We booked the weekend before Christmas to visit family and had our 2 dogs with us. When we arrived, a very unpleasant front desk woman named Mary Jo informed us that under absolutely no circumstances can dogs be left unattended in the hotel rooms. My husband and I have stayed at tons of dog friendly hotels and all of them have specific policies which we completely understand and respect. Most of these hotels will ask that you keep your dog in a crate if you leave, or they take your phone number in case a dog disrupts other guests - the expectation would be if that happens, you come back to be with the dog. These are very reasonable requests and make sense to ensure experiences of all guests are pleasant. The issue I have is that the Best Western essentially expects you to bring your dog everywhere you go, or stay with it at all times in the hotel. This is totally unreasonable and every dog owner I know gets that. In extremely cold or hot weather, you can't exactly go out to dinner and leave your dog in the car for obvious reasons. Best Western needs to decide if they are truly dog friendly or not. If they are, they need to change their policy. If they aren't, they need to not be dog friendly. And, Mary Jo needs some serious customer service training. She was rude, unempathetic and should not have a front desk job. Apart from the fact that Best Western isn't really dog friendly, what made this experience so much worse was how unfriendly and unhelpful the front desk was. There are so many other amazing dog friendly places to stay in the Waterbury/Stowe area that are FAR better than the Best Western: Golden Eagle, Grunberg Haus are a few that I highly recommend. We will never, ever stay at a Best Western.

This place is nasty! Paper thin walls, Loud guests. Grimy and unkept with 1990's decor. I'm sure this place is a covid incubator. Please don't stay here. They literally have signs that say housekeeping is unavailable… and believe me it shows…

Quiet, clean and nicely decorated, this hotel is perfect for families, couples or singles looking to explore the friendly and inviting quaint village of Waterbury. The hotel amenities are well above what you would expect for its brand. The indoor pool and jacuzzi are wonderful and like other guest reviews reveal, the breakfast, a satisfying value.

The place is a hidden gem - AMAZING breakfast, gorgeous pool, friendly staff, comfy beds and pillows, it was a GREAT value. Breakfast included real Vermont maple syrup, Vermont Cabot whipped cream, real bacon, etc. ... just lovely. Nothing like the other standard hotel breakfast bar options.

Great amenities, great breakfast and friendly staff. Not too crowded the hot tub was great there was a private sitting room with fireplace which was really nice and the beds were extremely comfortable and the sheets were nice and soft

Abundant breakfast daily, really nice pool and Spa area, and the staff were terrific. Cookies at the front desk every night and the bed was really comfortable. There is a short hiking trail over a covered bridge that was lovely...Plus I saw a deer while walking one morning!

My wife and I took a New England vacation in October and stayed in a different state every night. This Best Western Plus was hands down the best place we stayed. Right next to the reception desk was a dispenser of water flavored with fresh strawberries. On the same table was cookies of different flavors. Everything was SUPER clean and the breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had that wasn't in a luxury hotel. The breakfast had so many items and the entire area was meticulously kept clean and all food updated by a single person who hustled with real zeal. There was even sausage AND bacon on the buffet! We had a king suite and it was incredibly roomy with a phenomenal bathroom with a big walk in shower and two person jet massage tub. Once again everything was spotless. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the location was absolutely perfect, right off an interstate exit and on the way to Stowe and all the cool attractions along the way such as the Ben and Jerry's factory and a hard cider producer. If you are planning a vacation in northern Vermont, this is the PERFECT place to serve as a home base right next to the quaint and cool town of Waterbury. Five stars!!!

Very nice hotel and great staff (Matt) was helpful with our questions about the area (restaurant, Stowe, Ben & Jerrys. The hotel was close to everything we wanted to see. It was also quiet to city and road noise, so we slept well

This is a step above a “roadside” hotel. The staff and grounds were exceptional and the game room with ping pong and air hockey were a blast for the kids. We woke up early and walked the short hike through the covered bridge into the woods behind the hotel. Idyllic. Highly recommend.

Excellent value hotel. Rooms are clean and comfortable. There is a nice pool and hot tub (NOTE: when you press the button for the hot tub it takes a good 60 seconds to kick in. You begin to think it is broken when you finally get jets). There is a lovely short trail hike and covered bridge directly behind the hotel. There is also a "game" room with ping-pong and air hockey. Breakfast is very nicely done with numerous options including slices of Cabot cheese. I would most definitely stay here again in the future. Also, the front desk staff are extremely nice and very helpful...something I've found missing at many hotels lately. The staff alone would bring me back for a return stay.

We stayed here one night on a trip across the USA on TripAdvisors advice, glad we did. Easy check in, the clerk as English and very professional. Clean quite room, second floor. The breakfast was delicious and clean areas. However, the real star is the pool and pool building, wonderful! Highly recommend!

Food was great! The room was super nice and clean. I love the ambience of the resort. Super happy that it's not crowded during our stay. I recommend the premier room because it has direct access to the pool. Highly recommended for families witg kids. Kids will surely have fun in their kids pool which has a fountain mini waterpark thing.

Perfect location right off the highway and close to everything in Waterbury and Stowe. The site has a covered bridge right on the property along with some well kept walking trails. Excellent value for staying close to Stowe and enjoying all that Vermont has to offer.

We have stayed here before. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is great, fresh and hot. Grounds are kept clean and neatly landscaped. Front desk is helpful if you have any questions, willing to get answers to your questions or look up info for you if they don't know answer. Plenty of parking available.

We were up in Vermont looking at the fall leaves and stay at this Best Western just outside Stowe VT and the place is new, very clean, comfortable and the breakfast is delicious. The people who worked could not have been nicer.

This hotel is an excellent location! It's proximity to Ben & Jerry's and the town of Stowe is wonderfully convenient. That being said we experienced some issues with unclean rooms and did not get settled into a room until our third try. As we arrived very late at night, we really didn't appreciate that. Additionally, the hallways and rooms have an unpleasant, musky odor.

As always this Best Western delivers the best in quality. The staff is friendly and genuine. There is attention to detail from the cleanliness of the room, to the delightful breakfast and efficiency of the front door staff. All this while dealing with Covid-19 difficulties and personnel work shortages. Wonderful staff and therefore excellent experience. We will be back. Thank you for being truly the best!

This property was gorgeous with its own covered bridge and hiking trails. They were decorated for Fall as well. We had no major issues with anything and enjoyed the hot breakfast, pool, hot tub, ping pong, and air hockey.

On our 16 day road trip this was the best place we stayed! Excellent breakfast and dining room! The outside decor was beautiful as was the entry area. The young men who greeted us were in matching uniforms. The "little store" for things forgotten or have run out of is excellent. Coffee, lemon water and cookies were waiting for us on arrival! Our room was brightly lit, comfortable bed, clean, extra little touches that made you feel very welcome. This motel is managed by two very incredible women!! I give it a 10plus rating!!

This was a nice Best Western Property. However, it's on the pricey side. The hotel needs updated. The breakfast, was a typical hotel breakfast. Nothing outstanding. The hotel employees were very nice and accommodating.

Very nice hotel! The rooms were very clean and updated. The beds were VERY comfortable. The grounds were beautiful with all of the fall foliage! Don't miss the covered bridge!! I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others. Hotel is very convenient to the Interstate but also in a secluded area up on a hill. Great base location to visit many sights.

This hotel was full of surprises; overall, we were very happy with our stay here (which was only one night). Room was comfortable and clean. Check-in was a a mixed experience, for us. Staff was friendly, efficient and helpful. They didn't wear masks, but were behind plexiglass for everyone's health. The only challenge was that it was a busy time when we arrived. We had to wait a bit to check in and several others weren't wearing masks. (Always a bit uncomfortable in tight quarters indoors). Hotel was fairly quiet, for being fully booked, so we slept well. Room was fine, but nothing special. Very clean! Had to wait a bit to use washer/dryer in evening, but worked well early AM. Very thankful to have those amenities for guests who are traveling a while! Breakfast was good with a very large dining area. Again, our challenge was that several guests (and kitchen staff) were mask-less at buffet, so we chose to eat in our room. The unexpected perk at this hotel was how beautiful the grounds were. This hotel had several seasonal displays around the parking lot which brought the joy of Fall. (Fun for photos, too). The location is hilly; hotel sits about the highway. Beyond the parking lot is a lovely huge lawn. I think they had wonderful playground for kids. There was a lovely Covered Bridge over a pond/creek; again nice photo ops! Beyond the walk-thru bridge are a couple of hiking trails, of 2 different difficulty levels. We are hikers and loved that unexpected perk! Hikes aren't long. Pool was indoors and I think there was a nice gym too. Overall a great location. We drove (but could have walked) to Thai Smile for a yummy dinner. If in area again, we'll stay at BW!

I will go on the record to say that the issues we had were due to lack of staff which is a result of our government's generosity (sarcastically said). The staff that was there were wonderful. The room should have been dusted and the air filters cleaned (the access door happen to be open and we were able to see it hadn't been replaced in sometime). The air conditioning took awhile to kick on. The temperature had to be put on very low in order for it to work. The blow-dryer heating element was broken so only cool are came out. No ice in the ice machine and located in an unreasonable area. The staff did react to the issues promptly and it will not stop us from staying here again.

Check-in was good. Room was clean and comfortable. Very quiet location. Grounds were decorated for fall season. Nice covered bridge to walk over. Breakfast was served. It was clean and nice spacing was available for those wanting to seat a distance from each other.

I have stayed at this hotel multiple times over the past several years. The staff is always welcoming, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the breakfast is always fresh, good quality, with ample choices.

Amazed with how clean & quiet it was. Close to town but out of the way. Nice walking path with a covered bridge. Pretty location. Having breakfast included was great. The lady at the front desk was helpful with restaurants for dinner options.

I'm not thrilled about the room price, but not much else was available. We stayed at better properties for about half the cost. Having said that, the room was average but comfortable, the breakfast was quite nice, and the front desk agent was efficient. The pool was a bit cold for my liking. With open air, it seemed more like an outdoor setting than indoors. The one game open in the arcade was air-hockey. I guess due to co-vid others are temp. closed off. Do your laundry early as machines priced 2x that of other properties we stayed are only run until 10pm, not closed off and close in proximity to rooms. Gift shop for toiletries also pricey. I will try and shop around for something more reasonable for my next trip there.

We had a wonderful time here. The hotel and grounds are beautiful- there is a nice playground for kids, with a beautiful indoor pool and hot tub that we enjoyed immensely. The room was very nice- clean and quiet. - the bed was really comfortable. The breakfast was a buffet and had so many choices, both hot and cold. It was delicious; probably the best hotel breakfast we've had, to be honest. All staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed an extra day… would have stayed longer if we could have!!

We recently stayed at the BW plus in Stowe/Waterbury for a family event. All of the staff that we encountered were pleasant and professional. The pool (a huge draw, especially for the grandchildren) was large, clean, and didn't have the chlorine odor encountered on many other places. There were outdoor dining spaces, as well as trails and a playground. We will definitely stay here again when we are in the area.

The rooms and bathroom seemed smaller than some others we've stayed at. But, it was very clean and the staff were most friendly. The pool and hot tub are in the same room and there are patio style glass/screen doors all the way around - and the ceiling was able to open as well. It was very awesome and definitely our favorite feature! A bit pricey but it seems hotels are right now. Worth it for the quality and we only use BW. It pays off with rewards points.

Lots of hidden gems at this hotel! 1. Breakfast is free and it's delicious! Free and delicious usually don't go together but at this hotel they do. 2. Make sure to check out the hotels backyard! Walking trails, dog park, covered bridge, there's a beautiful stream! If you've been traveling for hours or days you'll enjoy this hotels beautiful walking trails to get your legs moving. 3. The indoor pool and hot tub is really nice. 4. This hotel has a ski lodge feel and there's overstuffed chairs and couches in their “great room”‘that really make you feel cozy and comfortable. I had been in a car driving for 6 hours and it was so nice to take a break with a glass of wine (that I brought) and relax in the great room.

The facilities are nice, game room fun, the environs charming, location convenient, and breakfast can't be beat. But it is the staff and their care for the property and kindness toward guests that make this place exceptional. Each and every staff member from maintenance to housekeeping to kitchen to front desk and manager was engaged, helpful, and friendly. What an awesome team.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The location can't be beat. It's right off of the highway and an easy drive to attractions/hikes in the surrounding areas. Both outside and inside of the property are well maintained. Our room & bathroom were very clean, the bed was comfy & there was plenty of hot water. Every staff member we interacted with was professional/friendly/helpful. The breakfast selection was good...plenty of options for both hot & cold foods. The coffee was excellent! Overall this was a really positive experience for our first get away in what seems like forever.

Was visiting family in the area with family (two children 9, 5). Pros: Very clean facilities, Great breakfast (something for everyone), very friendly staff (especially the breakfast attendant who was amazing), Pool, game room, lounge area (for some reading/work if needed). I also really appreciated that the breakfast, pool and game room were all open 6-10 so they were very accommodating of all schedules and didn't use the pandemic as an excuse to provide less. Cons: In this day and age, the lack of a room option with queen beds that wasn't a suite is a bit of a throwback. The rooms themselves were also quite small. Neither was a deal breaker but something to consider if you are trying to fit more than two adults/ two very small children into a room. It can get cramped pretty quickly.

Daughter moved to Montpelier for the next several years for a Nursing job and my grand daughter and I stayed to help her unpack and visit for a few days mini vacation from the daily chaos of moving furniture

The best hotel breakfast we've had in as long as we can remember. Really attentive and friendly staff. Wifi actually works, central to Burlington and lots of hiking. Dog friendly. We'll stocked gift shop.

This hotel attracts a lot of locals who seem never to have seen a pool before. Expect a swarm of kids, and tattooed parents mobbing the pool/hot tub, trampling over you for the free breakfast, and in general leaving a mess wherever they grazed.

This property is one of the nicest Best Westerns I have stayed at. I would highly recommend it for its service, value, cleanliness, and location. It is only half an hour south of Burlington while also close to fun tourist stops like Ben & Jerry's, Cold Hollow Cider Mill and Stowe is just a short hop up the road. We will be returning to this property.

Tucked in the mountains right off the highway, this hotel is perfect for a quiet getaway. The hotel grounds are neat and clean both indoor and out. Breakfast is included with many options including warm choices as well as cold. The complimentary Keurig coffee is a plus. The rooms are clean and quiet. We have stayed here a number of times and find that is a great choice for the price.

We will return. Hopefully the pool and hot tub will be available for use when we return. We had issues with the TV's too. Staff allowed early check in and were so kind and I felt very comfortable. I do suggest making masks mandatory while making plates in the dining room!! We don't travel outside of vt but there were many out of staters staying the night we stayed...

Everything from check-in to check-out was a great experience. Room was very clean, everything was in working order. Breakfast was plentiful, well cooked and delicious. Hotel staff was pleasant, friendly and very informative.

We stayed from June 21st to June 26 th. Thanks to Ian and Mary Jo, we were able to extend our visit even with extenuating circumstances. Later Melissa Moore the General Manager approached us and told us our circumstances came across her desk. She said she was sorry for any inconvenience. She told us to enjoy our day. If not for these wonderful people we would not have been able to extend our stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It is the cleanest nicest Pet Friendly Hotel we ever stayed in. Beautiful grounds, very clean hotel, professional and welcoming staff. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Although the room had a coffee maker and small refrigerator, it did not have a microwave, at the rate for the room, it should have a microwave as well. The pillows were too puffy for my taste, but that's a matter of preference. Also, I booked the hotel based on the amenities, such as the indoor swimming pool and received an email after the fact that the pool would be closed for maintenance during our stay. Very disappointed and should've received a discounted rate on our rooms for not being able to use the pool. The breakfast was very nice, lots to choose from and nice to see hot food as well.

Much more expensive than I hoped for a single night stay, and they quoted me a price without the pet fee, even though they informed me during the online pre-registration that a $30 fee would be added. Then they didn't add it to the price quote. Their pool was closed and they did give me a 10% discount, but that was based on the price BEFORE the pet fee, so my actual total amount was still higher than the quote they gave me online.

I cannot praise this hotel and the staff enough! I stayed here for a work trip with a big group of colleagues for two weeks. The whole staff was friendly and so accommodating. I especially want to thank Mary Jo, the Assistant Manager. Anytime I ran into any predicament Mary Jo was always there to help or with wonderful suggestions. The property itself was in a beautiful location. I really enjoyed the bridge and the wood walk paths. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I highly recommend staying at this hotel if you are visiting Waterbury or any nearby town.

BW in Waterbury-Stowe was by far the best experience in a hotel We have ever had. The place was truly clean. Spotless infact. Breakfast was delicious and nutritious. Covid protocols were observed. Personal were polite, upbeat and friendly.

Recently, I came up to visit Vermont for my boyfriend's college graduation and booked a nights stay since I was familiar with the hotel because I had stayed there a few years back. Upon arrival everything seemed fine and clean but that was not the case. Around 8:30-9pm when I pulled the sheets back to get into bed many stains were covering the quilted sheet. When I went to the front desk, the man behind the desk was hidden off, and didn't come up until another worker had entered the building. I gave him my complaint about the sheets being covered in something disgusting and with a blank face shook his head in understanding and said a new sheet would be dropped off. Personally, a new room would've been much better due to the stain being between sheets... but in disappointment I left the situation and had a kind man come give me new sheets for the bed. Overall, I was really disappointed with my experience and the cleanliness especially during a pandemic (honestly just in general too, no room should be like that when you're spending close to $200 a night). Sad to see a hotel that I had seen before as a great experience now take a turn for the worse.

We stayed in the king suite. The only thing I could say I wish was different is the bed was a little hard. But other than that was a great stay. The pool and hot tub was amazing and the jet tub in the room was nice!

We have stayed here for years, because I love the pool and it's convenient to family in the area. They are generally responsive if you have a problem. They now allow dogs, which was a huge help for us. Nice places to walk outside with dog pick-up stations. Breakfast is good. Rooms are always clean. Pool and spa are lovely. Free WiFi.

Heather was working at the front desk and she was AMAZING! She greeted us, helped us sign up for promotions, and suggested different places for us to check out in the area. This was a very clean hotel and their COVID friendly breakfast was FANTASTIC!

My wife and I stayed here for one night while skiing at nearby Stowe. The hotel is about 15 minutes from the mountain, and significantly less expensive than similar properties in downtown Stowe. We found our king bedroom clean, comfortable and surprisingly quiet. I had actually requested a quiet area when I made the reservation online and was horrified to see several vans full of young ski team kids filing into the building as we parked the car. As we watched them unloading their gear we felt sure they would keep us up all night. Thankfully, the hotel is fairly large and evidently the ski group was in another area of the building as we never heard any noise from the group at all. Our bed was very comfortable with plenty of full-sized pillows, which we greatly appreciated, as so many hotels use those tiny half-size pillows these days. The shower had good water pressure and plenty of hot water. My wife was unable to take a bath because the tub stopper wouldn't stay down. When I inquired at the front desk if there was some trick to getting the stopper to work, I was happily offered another room, which I declined. We were already settled in and opted to take showers instead. No biggie. There is a good sized indoor pool and hot tub, but we didn't use either. They did look well maintained and tidy, and there were plenty of towels available nearby. We did enjoy some sun in the reclining lounge chairs out back, which was nice. There are some picnic tables, swings and a jungle gym for the kids, and a small covered bridge as well. We noticed that some neighbors to the property brought their kids down to use the swings while we were there. I assume that was the case, as they came from over the guardrail behind the property. Perhaps they have an agreement whereby they are allowed to use the facilities? In any case, they were well behaved and clearly enjoying themselves on this warm, sunny afternoon. There is a complimentary self-serve box breakfast offered off the lobby in the morning, which was much better than we had expected. There was juice and coffee, cereal, string cheese, muffins, granola bars, yogurt and whole fruit available, as well as some hot breakfast sandwiches, which were really good. There are some good dining options in nearby downtown Waterbury, including the wonderful Hen of the Wood restaurant. One should definitely check on Covid protocols before showing up, as many businesses have had to alter their operations. Check-in and check-out were quick and courteous. Big thanks to Heather, who checked me in and helped me with an e-gift card that I couldn't figure out how to apply online. Using these cards leaves something to be desired, but that is a matter to be taken up with corporate, and is in no way a reflection on this property. We would definitely consider staying here again!

I would highly recommend this place. The rooms were clean and cozy, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. This was for business but was also relaxing. This is a place I had driven by before but will be high on my list of recommended places to stay from now on.

I was really impressed with everything at this hotel. Great location, warm atmosphere, fantastic breakfast, and an adorable covered bridge behind the property!!!!!! We stayed on a recent ski trip to Stowe and stopped at the Ben and Jerry's factory on our way back from skiing ... right up the road!

Super nice staff and over all cleanliness is great! Love the pool room! We love to stay here just to get away! There's many nice places to eat nearby and it's right off the interstate. We will stay here many more times!

What a great experience! Friendly staff and immaculate building ! We scheduled an hour long workout in the gym (all to ourselves ) and it was incredibly clean. They fog the room with a disinfectant after each use. Beautiful covered bridge out back leads to a short woodland trail. Grab and go breakfast boxes available or heat up a ready made breakfast sandwich. They are truly working hard to create a pleasant experience during this pandemic. We will be back !

Very clean modern facility with friendly helpful staff. The rooms were clean and neat and the beds were comfortable although it would have been nice to have a couple thinner pillows. The "grab and go" breakfast was very good. The sandwiches were warm, coffee hot , and the juice and water was cold. We will be back and would recommend this facility to anyone. Oh yeah, the view outside is fantastic along with the covered bridge.

Best western plus was both attractive and comfortable.. the beds and pillows were super comfortable.. the bathroom clean... the bistro food offered during the pandemic were well thought of with foods that could be carried back to our rooms and the time they were available was perfect. The staff were helpful and friendly. We had an excellent experience!

Great hotel. The room is very good and very comfortable. They have a hot water pool but because of covid 19 we didn't use it. We got breakfast in nice private whigh boxes. You can fill it with things you like yourself.

The staff at this hotel is very helpful and friendly. The setting is beautiful, just off a main road but feels rural with mountain views, a covered bridge, short trail in a small wooded area next to the hotel and wooden swings. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other travelers. If you plan to eat in Waterbury there are many choices. I wouldn't say they are within "walking" distance as you do have to cross a very busy road with no crosswalk but there is parking directly across the road under an overpass which makes for a nice stroll into Waterbury.

Best Western saved the day. We had a reservation elsewhere which was awful. Best Western Waterbury -Stow was Heaven the door was sealed to show it was disinfected. The room was spotless. The staff was great.

I was a frequent traveler for both business and leisure -- until the pandemic. This was my first trip since the arrival of Covid-19, so I was apprehensive, and chose this hotel because I had stayed there before and knew it to be impeccably kept, and I had received emails regarding their Covid-19 precautions. I was very impressed -- I felt completely safe, even as someone in a high-risk group, and it was a place where I had not doubts at all about my safety. A great place to stay.

We traveled during Covid. The hotel was very clean. Staff was professional. While I didn't expect a hot breakfast due to conditions one was provided in a safe fashion. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed 2 nights shortly after the 4th of July while visiting children and grandchildren -we believed this would be safer than staying with family. The management takes covid-19 safety very seriously and we felt comfortable that we were not putting ourselves at risk. The breakfast was a grad-and-go to take back to your room; somewhat minimalist, but adequate given the circumstances. The location is quiet and convenient to I89. The grounds are lovely, with a covered bridge on the property and a short hiking trail (~0.2 mi) through some woodlands behind the hotel. A nice indoor pool and sun area, which was usable since they were only around 30% of room capacity at best. We were pleased and can recommend this place for your lodging needs even during this pandemic. Our room had 2 double beds and a small refrigerator but no microwave. The HVAC system had digital controls.

I selected this Best Western because I felt that a reputable chain would have solid covid-19 procedures in place. I was happy with the precautions and felt comfortable and safe! From the plexi-glass panel during check-in, to the “sanitized” sticker on the door, to the packets of disinfecting wipes on the dresser, safety seemed to be a priority. I must admit that I hesitated when planning this trip, but this hotel did everything I could have asked for to make me feel safe, and I am glad that I selected the Waterbury, VT Best Western!

My husband and I stayed at the Best Western in Waterbury VT on Blush Hill Road this week. The rooms are beautiful and immaculately clean. Everything is always updated- beds, linens, bathrooms, amenities. I felt incredibly safe there because all COVID precautions are adhered to. It is obvious that the General Manager pays attention to EVERY detail of the hotel. Priority is paid to all the things that make a hotel stay welcoming and pleasant. The planters out front area beautiful and the staff is welcoming. We enjoy staying here whenever we are in the area. It is obvious why this hotel has won so many awards! Thanks!

It's vermont so all hotels are pretty great, and I've stayed at many in the Stowe area. For the price Best Western a underrated hotel. How many chain hotels have a covered bridge and private walking trail. The grounds were immaculate and the playground and pool were great. We stayed during covid so we had to take precautions but the hotel did too. It was quiet so it likely helped but breakfast boxes are a nice touch and the staff, including front desk and kitchen made sure we were well taken care of.

We would like to thank the front desk employee who had to take our cancellation call from Canada today. Our government is asking Canadians not to cross the border because of the Covid-19 pandemic. We were scheduled for 3 nights later this week. We had booked the "lower price guarantee" fee, which didn't cover cancellations. We were required to go through a 14 day quarantine on our way back if we went on with our plans. Staff was really understanding. He accepted the cancellation and waived the fees in these difficult times. Responsable entreprise. We were looking forward to good sking conditions at a taste of all the good Vermont beers. We will be back, for sure. Can't wait. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

My wife's company hosted their holiday party in Waterbury and Stowe. They chose this hotel for the group. The room was fine but really everything else about the property was great. Friendly staff, nice facilities, good breakfast. Location was fantastic and close to all activities in the area.

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel at least once a year for maybe 10 years now. Last year we stayed there two times for several days. It is excellent and really sets the bar for other hotels. We belong to the Best Western Rewards program and being week day leisure travelers, we can often get a free upgrade on the rooms at this hotel. The rooms are fresh and clean; the staff is top notch; the breakfast is hot and has good variety; the town of Waterbury has fantastic dining and a convenient supermarket. Lying half way between Montpelier and Burlington, there are lots of entertainment and dining options outside of town. We go to Waterbury so my husband can cross country and downhill ski. Trapp, Stowe, Bolton Valley, and lots of public open space gives my husband more than enough choices for skiing. I expect we will return again this winter as the area gets pretty dependable natural snow and the trip is economical.

Great location and facility. Stayed here for a family ski weekend (4th time) and it was outstanding. Nice rooms, with several options. We stayed in a suite and it was perfect. Indoor pool, game room, family room area all great perks that we all took advantage of. Will definitely be back!

We can't say enough great things about our stay at Best Western Plus,Waterbury Vermont. Each time we go to Vermont we always stay there. The staff are wonderful, the rooms are spacious,clean and well stocked for your needs, and the relaxing breakfast really starts off your day.

Stayed here for three nights last week in the King suite rooms. These rooms are fantastic. Suites are laid out in a way that the three of us had plenty of space for our ski gear without it being in the way with every step. The beds are comfy, the furniture was upscale and the breakfast unreal. My boys and I loved the clean pool area and game room. The small snack room has a great selection of beers! A perfect spot to stay if going to Sugarbush or Stowe.

I've stayed in Best Westerns (and comparable hotels) all over the country, but wow did this place stand out. I stayed with my spouse and four kids in June of 2019 and we absolutely loved it. The hotel is located not too far off the highway, way up on a hill, so it has a nice setting. The lobby has coffee and cookies all day. The staff is very friendly. There is a fantastic pool in a large sunroom-style space, a small garden seating area outside, a game room, a library (!), a hiking trail (!), a covered bridge, and a small playground for kids. So much more than your typical hotel in this category! The room was clean and spacious and we were very happy and comfortable throughout our stay. Would stay here again in a heartbeat and recommend enthusiastically! So glad we found it!

Great stay at the Best Western. Nice location as it is just a short, scenic drive to Stowe Mountain. Ben and Jerry's is practically right next door which we hit after skiing 3 out of 4 days. The real maple syrup at breakfast is a plus and the bacon is high quality. They had air hockey and ping pong in a room next to the pool and hot tub which my kids loved. Property is super clean and up to date. They seem to pay attention to the details here. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again the next time we're in Vermont.

we just spent 3 nights visiting family in waterbury, vt. our stay at this best western plus added to the overall pleasant experience of our mini vacay. the staff is helpful, friendly and kind. breakfast (included) is super..with many choices all served in a delightful cafe setting, with a friendly, helpful staff ready to assist with any needs or wants. clean rooms. hot jacuzzi, delightful pool area.

Went to VT. for work. Picked this hotel due to price and it being a Best Western Plus. This hotel goes above and beyond Best Western Plus standards. Great breakfast station with great local coffee and real local maple syrup. Beds comfortable and staff very friendly.

BWPW is a central location for skiers and for non skiers. The latter can go to Montpelier and Barre, and next day go to Burlington. The former have Stowe and Sugarbush. Some skiers may care about the Cochrans backyard in SW Richmond. My wife liked the ping pong table and Jacuzzi. She liked the large Shaws grocery and pharmacy nearby.

Beautiful location in the Green Mountains of Vermont. Close to Interstate 89 -- right in Waterbury with an easy drive to Stowe and the ski slopes (beautiful mountains in the summer). Surprisingly beautiful hotel grounds with its own covered bridge and hiking trails. Clean comfortable rooms and friendly staff -- there is a reason for the "Plus"!

My boyfriend and I spent the weekend in Waterbury for my birthday. We really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was great with lots of choices. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet with very little noise coming from nearby rooms or the hallway. We liked the access to coffee/tea at all hours as well.

Heading to the hills in Vermont for business or Leisure, this mountainside hotel is very welcoming. The Staff is accommodating, the rooms are clean, the pool and fitness are above par and have a social room to watch TV by the fireplace. The free breakfast is the best hotel breakfast. it is so much better than a traditional continental breakfast you get at other establishments. Well worth your time to stop in and stay in beautiful Vermont.

This was one of our stops during our friends' leaf pepping tour of New England. It was quite unexpected since the turn into the hotel is VERY steep (I would hate to attempt it in the winter!) but the hotel was great. Check in was fast and the room was very spacious. The complimentary breakfast had some surprises on the menu but everything was fantastic. The grounds of the hotel had lots to look at. It is near the Stowe Mountain and close to Waterbury where many restaurants could be found for dinner. Overall, this place is a great place to stay.

We had another great stay at the Best Western Plus Waterbury Stowe. The rooms are clean, the facility is up to date, the staff is friendly and the breakfast is very good. We'll be back again next year!

My family and I stayed here for two nights and were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed this hotel. The rooms are very clean and roomy. The breakfast buffet is large with many options, both hot and cold. Our son loved the indoor pool, and the playground area in the back of the hotel is a nice touch for kids that need to run around after hours in the car. The staff was very accommodating; we requested to switch room s because our neighbors were noisy, and they were able to help us out within minutes. Make sure to try the freshly-baked cookies available in the afternoon!

We stayed here 5 nights and used it as a home base to explore the area. We loved the location as it was easy to get on the interstate (which is a beautiful drive to Burlington) and Hwy 100 leads to wonderful places too. The hotel has pretty grounds as well, with a covered bridge. The room was clean and a good size. We loved the game room and lounge on the pool level. There is a ping pong table, air hockey and checkers. The staff was friendly. Breakfast was good too! Would definitely stay here again.

One of a kind! Fantastic breakfast quality and kind service Cannot believe this customer oriented facility still exists. We did a 2000 mile leaf peeping tour of NEW ENGLAND. This stop was the best by far.

The staff very friendly professional and knowledgeable. The rooms very nice and clean. The breakfast was some of the best for a hotel I've ever had. The syrup for the waffles was grade A local Vermont maple syrup. Many options on the hot bar, egg whites sauteed veggies fresh fruit and local Vermont cheese and yogurt. A beautiful property with a wonderfully covered bridge and a 1 mile hiking trails. Great location.

I had moved to this location after a horrible experience at the Old Stagecoach B&B. The Best Western front desk was completely welcoming and professional. The room we stayed in was clean, décor was updated and extremely comfortable. Great location not far from the main "downtown" area for Waterbury.

Our overall satisfaction was beyond expectations! ! The room was just great - comfortable , huge bed , cozy linens. Location is perfect for touring and travelling. The breakfast was comparable to those fancy hotels. Recommended

Everything about this hotel is exceptional, starting with cookies at the registration desk. There's a beautiful large library/family type room with couches and chairs and tables for playing games. The pool and hot tub area, a game room with a ping pong table and air hockey, a gym with both cardio and weight machines, and all of it clean and well maintained. The room was also far superior to most rooms in this price range. And the breakfast was way over the top, also fresh and delicious in a beautiful dining room. I would go out of my way to stay here again.

This Best Western is probably the best one (or definitely in the top few) that I have stayed. The room was spacious, clean, and so comfortable. We had a great overnight here and felt safe in this area. The breakfast was quite good in the bistro on the premises — complimentary, too. We were called prior to our stay to see if we would be interested in an upgrade. We accepted and loved our stay. The hotel sits on a steep hill and is very easy off and back on the highway. Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Tour is just a short ways down the road as well as the Cold Hollow Apple Cider Mill, both of which are worthy stops, too. There is a large parking lot at this hotel so parking should not be an issue here. Check-in and check-out both went very well with very nice service from Tanya and Matt. Based on our experience here, I would certainly recommend that others stay here as well.

We spent 2 nights here just a little over a week ago & was totally impressed with the facility, location & staff. Not sure how easily it is to drive in & out of the somewhat steep hill-side hotel during the winter but our experience was fine. Views out to mountains were peaceful, housekeeping/cleanliness was stellar & the included breakfasts were the best of any BW Plus we've had. Shower water pressure was great & the bed was firm/comfortable. We will absolutely recommend this hotel to any one who will be traveling in this gorgeous area of Vermont. And... Ben & Jerry's Ice cream Factory is only a few minutes away!

My wife and I stayed at this at this Best Western while on family business in the Hyde Park/Morrisville area. Our room had two comfortable queen sized beds, and we also appreciated the clean bathroom. We also appreciated the variety of choices for breakfast which allowed us to eat and continue with our journey home. However, I had a problem with the on-line reservation process which is NOT the fault of this Best Western. When I made the reservation the App timed out and I had to reenter most of my data. Unknown to me, the reservation date returned to the default setting. This resulted in no reservation for the night of our arrival and a No Show for the wrong date. Fortunately, the hotel had rooms available and we were not billed for the No Show error. In the future, I will use the toll free number to make reservations since Smart Phone Apps cans have some hiccups. Overall, this Best Western is a comfortable and economical place to stay and we recommend to others.

In quiet area, close enough to drive into Burlington for a meal. Rooms comfortable. Staff very friendly. Pool area and fitness room very nice! Love the library area where you can sit quietly and borrow a book and read if you like. Hands down the best selection of breakfast items included in your stay. The staff work hard at keeping it filled up and very friendly while doing it! We would definitely stay there again if we are ever in the area. If you looking for action, this is not your location. Too bad there weren't more restaurants in the area. That would be my only complaint.

I was so impressed with this Best western. The decor was beautiful and the grounds were very will kept and decorated. There were walking trails in the back, chairs, and swings located around the property and a beautiful covered bridge. Inside there was a pool, a game room, and a room with easy chairs, games, and books to relax with. The room was clean, though the bathroom was small it was nicely done. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast had a large assortment and there was someone there constantly refilling the food. The location can't be beat, right off I89 and just down the street from Ben and Jerry's, the Cabot store and Cold Hollow Cider.

First I want to say that Mari Jo Witham, the Assistant General Manager, was an absolute pleasure to work with in planning our group visit. Actually, everyone we encountered at the hotel was very helpful and friendly: the front desk, the breakfast room staff, dinner staff, and the housekeeping staff. Everyone. We had a lovely buffet diner at the hotel, and the breakfast in the morning was AMAZING. The grounds are beautiful and many of us enjoyed walking on the trail behind the property. The pool is very nice, and we enjoyed the common area to visit and play board games. If I am ever in the area again I would definitely stay there. I really appreciated the welcoming staff who made our group visit so easy and enjoyable.

The hotel doesn't look like much from the outside, but we found it to be super clean on the inside and staffed with the friendliest people and had every amenity we might've wanted. We only stayed for one night, but it's the kind of place that you would like to come "home" to for multiple evenings away from home. The breakfast was really great, too.

Best Western Plus was a very nice, clean, affordable hotel. The continental breakfast was outstanding with options for everyone. The staff was pleasant, check in / out was quick as well. The view of the mountains is pure Vermont. A two minute drive to the Ben & Jerry's Factory too.

The hotel was clean, decor was nice, bed was super comfy, and the front desk folks were especially helpful but what made this property extra special for me were its unique features. We loved the covered bridge and nature trail. It was so peaceful - nice to walk outside and 'forest bathe' . Though we didn't use it, there was a nice outdoor playground for children and a good sized indoor pool. It was a peaceful and relaxing property with a very convenient location.

We were traveling through Vermont and wanted to hit some fun stops near Waterbury. Convenient location near Ben & Jerry's factory and not far from Vermont Teddy Bear. Adorable and well-maintained covered bridge in the back of the hotel. Great indoor pool and game room for the kids. Breakfast was better than most. Cons for this hotel - our room had a horrible smell. Couldn't quite figure out what it was - housekeeping came down with air freshener which helped, but smell returned. Only stayed for 1 night, so we just dealt with it. Also, driveway into the hotel is VERY steep.

The staff were friendly, the breakfast was wonderful, great indoor pool and jacuzzi - used both every night, the beds were very comfortable - the 7 pillows on the full size bed were awesome. There is an elevator to get to the 2nd floor rooms so my elderly mother didn't have to forgo a room with beautiful views of the mountains. The hotel has lots of places both inside and outside the building to relax and enjoy so you don't feel you have to stay in your room while there. Overall, a very nice stay.

Aa soon as i came out of my room and walked into the lobby ,i was asked by the gentleman at the front desk was i a guest,i showed him my room key,that wasn't enough,i had to give him my room key so he could check it on the computer,meanwhile people are walking in and out without being carded,then i tried to buy some beer he wanted to see ID ,i'm a 64 y/o black man with gray hair, in my 64 years having been all over the country and deep in the south this is the first time i have been treated like this. WAITING FOR ICE NOW

Our room was on the first floor and was next to the restroom and lobby. It had a mildew/musty smell. The paint on the wall needs updating as well. The room did not feel very clean. The front desk was very friendly and so was the other staff we ran into while there. The breakfast was ok, with the waffles and Vermont syrup being the highlight. The location is great, close to many of the activities we would be doing and pricing was good. The pool are was nice.

Such a nice hotel, with a pretty little covered bridge out back. Rooms were clean, best part was a big breakfast buffet, coffee was really good too. Highly recommend. Ben & Jerry's right down the road, and nice restaurants close by in Waterbury, we had lots to choose from.

Stayed one night - great location between Waterbury and Stowe. Hotel is close to Interstate but set back from the road - avoiding traffic noise. Close to touristy sites - Cabot cheese outlet, Champlain chocolates, Ben and Jerry's factory etc. Staff were exceptionally friendly - seemed genuinely interested in our experience being a good one. In addition to the fitness center and pool they have a ‘game' room with a ping pong table and a separate comfortable lounge area for sitting, reading. Buffet breakfast was best I've encountered. In addition to steady supply of eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, make your own waffles, the chef had fresh baked banana bread.

We paid $256.14 for one night at this Hotel. I find it too expensive but thought that location is good and this is one of the 2 hotel chains available ( the other one fully booked ). When we went to our hotel room, we realized that we can't get out because the door lock handle was broken .My young child got scared. Luckily one of our children was still outside so we had to call him and pass ( under the door) to him one of our card key so he can open the door from the outside. Then after this went to the front desk to complain about the door. They said they can't move us to the other room since the hotel was fully booked but they can fix it.Then when one of us are taking shower, the container of the conditioner and body wash was empty. These things that had happened to us are definitely not worth $256.14 . We were way more than disappointed .

We really enjoyed our vacation here in Waterbury. The hotel is convenient to many area attractions (Ben & Jerry's, glassblowing, cider pressing, etc.) and restaurants. It's a short drive to Montpelier for even more dining options. The hotel staff were uniformly welcoming and polite. Their low key manner was refreshing after coming from the big city. We enjoyed the indoor swimming pool which was clean, a good size and never too crowded. The rec room with air hockey and ping pong table was an added bonus for our kids (elementary school age). The hotel sundries shop was extremely handy; we were able to pick up a 4-pack of hard cider to bring to a dinner we had been invited to. Generally we had a very enjoyable stay. We also liked the fact that there were some grounds and areas (short trails and covered wooden bridge, wooden bench swing for adults, swings and play set for kids) to walk around on the property. The rooms were very quiet and the in-room fridge was handy. We will be back.

Easy on/off highway (Rt 89).Clean well stocked bathroom. Large room,good air conditioning, and comfortable beds. Great pool for a little exercise or just a fun swim. Good breakfast with friendly attendants to start your day. I will stay here again.

The hotel itself was quite musty and humid. The room was absolutely disgusting. The room was so humid and musty that the bed legitimately felt greasy and wet. If this was anything more than a place to rest our heads, we would have left.

I Travel the country for work and have stayed in numerous hotels,this hotel is the best by far..Very friendly staff,Excellent Breakfast which Is way more food and Much better Selection,The most satisfying,Compliments to The Chef,Plenty of family activities,and Very Clean rooms...And the Nature and mountian views are spectacular..I will definatly be coming back and recommend this hotel if your in the area...

Historically I haven't had the best experiences at Best Westerns, but I booked this due to it's convenient location to Ben & Jerry's. Boy was I pleasantly surprised. Nice guest room. Great pool (large) and game room (ping pong and air hockey). Cozy library area for meeting up, or playing checkers. Food was decent too. Hotel was much better than the Ben & Jerry's tour!

I had a reservation for business that had to be changed. They were very good about it. As much as I liked staying here and all Best Westerns, I acquired a bad taste for the chain.They entered my loyalty number in at the desk but the company said I didn't qualify because my business made the reservations. I have stayed at many and never had this issue,with this chain or any other.As I decide where I stay, this will make a difference.

We stay at this Best Western every Thanksgiving for the last 10 years and this was our first summer visit. We have always felt this was our away from home place. Everyone treats you like family. We will be back in November.

This was the perfect place to stay in Waterbury. Clean and comfortable rooms. Indoor heated pool, great breakfast, and there is a covered bridge and walking trails adjacent to the hotel. Great views of the Green Mountains.

We came with our two young kiddos, and split a king one-bedroom suite. The room was clean and very roomy. The kids had a blast in the extensive common areas and the pool. Pool and hot tub were meticulously clean. The kids loved the cookies too. The location was great for summer activities.

We were absolutely delighted with the Best Western+ Waterbury-Stowe. Located on magnificent well-maintained grounds that could be a park instead of a hotel. Lots of places to walk, relax, and just take in the beautiful surroundings. On our list for a return visit! The interior amenities, decor, breakfast, etc, etc are excellent

Nestled on a lovely hillside, this hotel offers guests a warm welcome. Friendly staff. Rooms are quiet and comfortable. Serve-yourself breakfast buffet offered fresh food, and Vermont maple syrup, in a large breakfast room. The grounds are surrounded by trees, and have picnic areas, play area for children, and an indoor pool. I highly recommend this property.

Surprising good hotel just down the road from the Ben & Jerry's factory. They have a very nice library space with books to borrow and tables to play games on. Very nice pool/jacuzzi area. There also a covered bridge and areas to hike. We picked this at random due to location but would definitely come back. They also have real maple syrup for their breakfast buffet!

This was our second stay in a Best Western Plus in this area and we enjoyed it very much. Loved the Snowshoes that were stacked next to the rergistration desk! Unfortunately we ate breakfast at a local cafe so i cannot comment on the breakfast. The hotel did have a nice little food area that even sold some of the very famous local brews like Heady Topper and Focal Bangor.

We stay at alot of different hotels for soccer tournaments and this was one of the best so far. Plenty of things for the group to do! We utilized the game room both nights of our stay rather than all stay in our rooms. The staff was great!

The exterior of the motel is very nice. The view of the mountains was beautiful. The inside is spotless. The front desk workers were very pleasant and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was good. The only thing I think needs updating is the gym.

I'm a bit amazed at some of the criticism people give this hotel. We have stayed in a lot of places and a lot of Best Westerns and I think this is the nicest one we've ever stayed in. The room was nice, the breakfast very good and restaurants within a short distance. Very friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.

This hotel is in a great location, close to hiking trails and Stowe. The breakfast was awesome with a great selection. Great pool and exercise equipment. The wifi internet connection worked flawlessly.

Nice quiet BW Plus. Friendly staff, smallish rooms. I've stayed in dozens of BW's, and this one has the BEST breakfast of them all, real maple syrup, great scrambled eggs, green mountain coffee. No microwaves in some rooms, tho there is one in the common area for use. WiFi is slower than LTE but ok and allows one to save data charges. Cable TV has the basics, including NESN for the Sox. I stay here whenever I'm in the area.

We found the hotel to be well situated off the I89 and was easily accessible without having to drive all over town. Unfortunately, we had to drive everywhere once checked-in as the closest pubs were a good 20 minute walk away. When we arrived, our room was ready and check-in was really fast. We had already paid through Priceline so this probably helped expedite the process. From the reception to the cleaning crew, everyone was extra friendly and polite. The facilities are clean and well maintained. The breakfast buffet was nothing special; wet scrambled eggs, toasts, cereal.. However, it was always full and as soon as an item was low, they would fill it up. The only issues we encountered, were with the A/C and how thin the walls and door felt like. We had read a bunch of other reviews about how the A/C was noisy and it's true! It woke us up at night every time it came on. Also noises and conversations from other rooms and outside our door were very loud at times. Bring some earplugs.

Pool was out of service for a scheduled maintenance and we were not notified even though our stay was booked a week in advance. Housekeeping staff entered our room despite privacy sign clearly on door. We found dry cereal and toys from a previous guest under the bed. When management was made aware of the situation, our stay was deeply discounted.

Good location near attractions. The hotel was clean and staff was friendly. The breakfast was the best free continental breakfast I have ever seen at a hotel. A lot of food options. No issues. I would definitely recommend.

Don't like the soap/shampoo in dispensers in shower; makes it hard to wash hair outside of taking a shower; prefer soap bars. Towels worked well and good size. Staff was very friendly. Liked bridge and hiking trails. Found a great book in the 'library'. Wish pool was open later. Appreciate having fridge.

This hotel is immaculate, welcoming and comfortable. From the gestures of cookies for guests at the desk to the beautiful pool and meeting space, we could not have been happier. THe buffet breakfast had homemade granola and delicious coffee too along with a great selection of goodies for a wholesome start to the day. THe hotel has several walking paths nearby . The housekeeping staff and everyone at the front desk to the GM all made a point to speak with us, check in with us and make sure our stay was enjoyable. Highly recommend this hotel. Best Best Western I have ever stayed in.

We come to the Waterbury/Stowe area several times a year and have been staying at the Best Western for about two years. We try to get the King Suite which is stunningly beautiful, quite large and has a separate bedroom. We had a reservation yet our room was unavailable due to "mechanical issues". To their credit the staff tried to reach us at home and we didn't get the message. Upon arrival we were told the Queen Suite was the same but when we opened the door, it was lovely and quite large but did not have the dining room/living room and separate bedroom. I went back to the desk and spoke with Matt, the Manager who was quite nice in offering us several alternatives and understood we had stayed in that room several times before and knew what we were not getting. We are able to settle on staying in the room as nothing else was going to work any better and Matt made it right. We appreciate when a business works to make their customers happy and we will definitely stay at BWP again! Our room was immaculate, their beds, bedding and pillows are the best and breakfast was fresh and hot and delicious.

This was a great stay for me. The grounds are beautiful. Breakfast was amazing. Staff was top notch. Great amenities, pool and spa. Library area with a fireplace. Walking trails, outside porch type swings for the adults and playground for the kids. It's a must stay if your in the area.

Visited for a long weekend. Check in was easy and front desk staff very helpful and friendly (in fact all staff we encountered were helpful and friendly) Rooms were clean and comfortable. Corridors are long so you may have a long walk (couple hundred feet) from lobby to your room if it is on far end of building. Have a comfortable lounge/game room/ TV area next to the pool which is very good size. Easy access from I-89 with plentiful parking area. Definitely will stay there again.

Our stay was wonderful! the rooms were clean, the staff was extremely helpful and attentive (Especially the Chef Tim in the Bistro) and the surrounding wilderness and trails were absolutely memorable!

Everyone at the hotel was helpful and friendly. Room was clean. Pool area was nice. Cute playscape out back. Took a mini hike through the woods out back. Cute covered bridge. Breakfast was hot and fresh every morning.

Great staff everywhere. Decor was exceptional in the room, lobby, library, and even the conference room we parked into. Food at breakfast was a few steps above any other hotel buffet and the entire buffet was spotless. Nicest Best Western we've ever visited. If your in Waterbury, this is the place to stay

Very satisfied with the service, very clean and very organized. I recommend this hotel 100% Have a laundry zone, spa zone and indoor pool. The beds is so comfortable the breakfast is very very good I recommend.

You get what you pay for. I wish I had spent a few bucks more to stay in a hotel that didn't smell and need so much renovation. The hotel is old and smells. The beds are lumpy. The light fixtures needed lightbulbs. The bathroom was mildewy.

We've been here a few times and enjoy it every time we come. Very clean, nice staff, great pool and hot tub. Playground outback for the kids with a neat covered bridge right on the property. Excellent location short drive to our favorite mt in VT SugarBush.

This hotel has a lot of unique amenities that make it stand apart. For starters, the pool. With the glass ceiling, you feel like you are outside even in the cold weather. The covered barn leading out to the trails behind the hotel were a nice little hike for our kids, who then played on the playground overlooking the waterfall. The game area/library has a lot of things to entertain kids, but the ping pong table was the biggest hit! The breakfast was quite impressive! Ingredients were fresh, locally sourced, and made with great care and it definitely shows. This could have easily been a $40 breakfast for 4 people, that was included with the room. Amazing bargain! The staff were caring, polite, and easy to communicate with. Location was great, felt secluded at the top of the hill, and very close to Ben and Jerry's (why we chose the hotel). If we're ever in the area again, we will be back!

The Best Western Plus was a perfect place to spend the night while exploring the Stowe/Waterbury area in VT. We received a warm welcome and member benefits when we registered, and had a very pleasant stay. Very good breakfast and quiet accommodations, with on-site parking. Very clean and well-kept premises. We will definitely return!

Very nice stay, great breakfast, comfy clean room with nice bath amenities. Great location for exploring, Cabot cheese, Ben and Jerrys, chocolates, cider, glass blowing, green mnt coffee, all within a few minutes drive. Nice area in back with a covered bridge, great pool area.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Breakfast excellent. Staff very pleasant and helpful. High speed internet was very good. Easy access to different shops , restaurants and attraction. Although, street parking in the village and not many restaurants.

Great service, adequate rooms, excellent breakfast with lots of choices, great facilities for kids - pool, game room, trail out back, etc. Only concern was that beds felt a titch barrow. Our 3 generation family will definitely be back!

Couldn't ask for more. The pool was so warm and perfect for my young kids to enjoy. The location is superb, right off the highway. The decor is current and inviting. The breakfast is amazing with a huge selection. Super friendly staff that cares about making your stay comfortable.

We were in the area to visit the Ben and Jerry's Factory, so the location was very convenient (4 minutes away). I think hotels in this area are just a little pricey, because it was about $158 for the night (with taxes), which seemed like a lot for a Best Western, but was still less than most of the hotels in the area. The room had full beds (instead of queens), and there was not much space for anything other than the two beds and a dresser. The room was about an average level of clean (nothing glaring, but not immaculate), although one of the beds had a dark smear of something on the corner (photo included). The breakfast station was decent. Everything was spaced out logically, so during a busy time, visitors would be spaced out instead of clustered into one area. The workout room was nice. There was 2 ellipticals, 2 treadmills, a rowing machine, and 5 or 6 weight machines. There were fans on most of the equipment.

I needed a hotel close to Norwich University.I was happy to find a Best Western.I was more pleased this Best Western lived up to the standards I expect from Best Western.Close to the highway with a good pool, and fitness center. Good breakfast with friendly staff.

My husband & I have stayed here 2 times in the last year & love it Clean & great amenities. Staff is all pleasant Breakfast is hot & fresh. Location close to everything you may want to do. We left completely relaxed

The rooms are very nice but the best part is the "living room" with the fire place that makes a great getaway when you want to be out of your room. An excellent place to have available when you have older children. I saw it was also used for small groups who wanted to be together. Also, the ping pong table, pool and fitness center are a plus. The breakfast is excellent.

We booked a suite with a king bed and queen sofabed. We stayed in an ADA-accessible suite; it was enormous! The decor was more 'ski lodge vacation home' rather than 'hotel'. We arrived late at night with our children, so it was a relief when the bedding for the sofabed was readily available in the room (not usually the case). We didn't hear our neighbors or hallway noise. WeWe enjoy the pool and hot tub after skiing, and took advantage of the free breakfast too. Overall this property is clearly well managed and we'd definitely stay here again.

My kids loved the indoor pool. The breakfast was great with options to please kids and adults. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Location is great and prices are reasonable. We will definitely stay again.

My family and I have been staying at the BW Waterbury for years. The staff is amazing. Rooms are nice and very clean. Breakfast is delicious with lots of options. Pool and entertainment area with fireplace and tv are spacious. And there is easy access to all the fun year round outdoor activities of the area including Stowe and Sugarbush. Plus craft breweries or Ben n Jerry's if that's your thing! And the restaurants in Waterbury....I could go on and on.

This hotel was once a Holiday Inn. It has been remodeled at least twice over the years. Everything is first class. Not 'elegant' but appears new, very clean, very well maintained and well run. You will NOT be able to tell that it is anything but near-new. My wife found the indoor pool the cleanest she has seen. The hot tub is as good as they get. Unfortunately they removed the on-site full service restaurant during the last remodeling cycle but there is a "hot breakfast" room that is the best I've seen at any Hampton or Holiday Inn or name brand chain.Real bacon and sausage every day, good scrambled eggs (not the nasty paper machet kind) , oats, cereals, waffles, yogurt machine, good coffee and better juice than you usually see in these circumstances. Beds, baths all first class. Heat is quiet and works right. Rooms and hallway have K-cup machines with good selection of Green Mountain as well as tea. Have stayed here for years. Could not be a whole lot better.

We stay here every year when traveling between Smugglers Notch and Sugarbush on ski trips. It is very reliable. Good price, great breakfast, nice pool/hot tub area, and fitness room. We use the ping pong table too and there are nice seating areas with gas fireplaces. We use the lobby microwave to heat our dinner and there are fridges in the rooms to make for an economical stay!

Was my first time in Vermont , and i was looking tona nice place not to expensive to stay and espacially , close to fiew mountain. Found BestWestern Plus in Waterbury and for sure, will go back this year. This is the place to stay if you want to have a clean hotel, kindful staff and excellent breakfast. You find all you need and more !!!

We stayed here last year and again this year. We loved it last year and it somehow actually got a little better this year. Free cookies at the front desk. Beds are nice, rooms are nice, the location is perfect and the town of Waterbury has many nice spots to eat. We were about 15-20 miles from Sugarbush ski resort and that was perfect. All rooms have a little refrigerator and that was perfect too.

Really enjoyed staying at this hotel. They get everything right. Real scrambled eggs at breakfast. Well equipped and clean fitness room. Cozy sitting room near the spa area, with lots of books to read. There's a ping pong table and checker board. Beds are very comfortable with lots of pillows. Great attention to detail, down to a little drain hole on the soap shelf in the shower. Nice soft towels. Friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Worst experience when I arrived my reservation was for the next week and no rooms were available. OK fine except even one week away and they would not refund my $200.00 deposit. Also the gentleman behind the desk had absolutely no personality and felt like I was putting him out. Absolutely nothing going for him for someone in the hospitality business. Worse part No money refund nor a credit for a future visit. HMM do you think if I show up tomorrow someone might be occupying the room I paid for. Unforgiving company I am sure with all the snow and people coming to ski the Best Western might go out of business if they gave me back my deposit.

Two day stay over Christmas.Warm welcome and easy check-in.The room was large and had every little thing you might want.I loved the electric outlets on the night table....no fiddling to plug in computors etc into hidden wall outlets ( of which there were many ).Good breakfast with large selection.Friendly staff.Have returned and will again.

We have stayed here annually for many years now, but this year was probably the best stay ever. Rooms and facilities are clean and well looked after. The breakfast area has been totally renovated, and is a very pleasant room. The breakfast itself is excellent, with a great variety. Highly recommend this hotel.

The amenities are great for my family. We really like the pool and fitness center. Full breakfast with fresh eggs, homemade granola, and hot coffee always gets our day started right. The location is perfect for travelers who like all the mountain activities: close to the highway but also close to several ski, biking, and hiking areas. The place is spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. Most importantly, the staff is really friendly and helpful. The market place is a nice addition.

The view from this hotel was amazing but that's because it's on top of a very steep hill. It snowed and we were not able to get up the hill back to the hotel. We had to take a back road that connected and that wasn't much better. Otherwise everything was fabulous here, breakfast was amazing & bathroom was gorgeous.

Excellent hotel with a great free breakfast, staff and rooms. Only a 20 minute drive to Stowe and lots of very good restaurants, pubs, breweries & local shopping within a 20 minute radius. Burlington is only 30 minutes down the highway.

We booked a military rate room, but were denied our request of a queen or larger bed, which my husband, a disabled combat vet needs due to his size, reconstructed leg, and ptsd. The hotel had a king size room available but asked for us to pay $100 a night extra. My husband's reconstructed foot lay hanging off the small bed and I slept on a fold away bed jammed into the wall because the room was so small that it couldn't even fit the queen size air mattress I brought in case we weren't given a bed large enough for my husband. I can't understand why a hotel would offer a military rate if they are unwilling to accommodate their physical needs and why they would knowingly allow their guests to be uncomfortable when another room lay vacant. The only concession they would offer was to waive the $17 fee for the fold away bed or to offer us a room with one queen bed and single foldaway, so one of our children would be left to sleep on the floor, since we have four family members and that would only allow sleeping accommodations for three. The pre-registration offers the upgrade to a king room as $100, but it is up to the discretion of the management if they will actually allow that, which the manager I dealt with (AC) chose not to fulfill. He would apparently rather have his guests sleep very uncomfortably rather than accommodate a disabled combat veteran. The double rooms are extremely small- smaller than most NYC rooms. And there are no fans in the bathrooms, so the small room seems even smaller when you jam four people into such a small space with stagnant air.

I am in the area every 2-3 months and each time I stay here. The rooms are clean, very nice, the showers are always nice and hot, and hot breakfast. The staff are friendly and always ask if there is anything I need. The breakfast is a nice hot breakfast! Homemade granola, waffles if you want them, eggs, bacon and sausage, and they make their own treats such as cinnamon rolls. Plenty of space to sit and relax before getting the day started. And they always have coffee in the lobby and coffee in the rooms. Great place and super quiet.

The hot breakfast was wonderful. We stayed for 3 days, and the selection was so varied that we could have something different each day. The chef, Tim, was especially attentive and helpful. We chose bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, yogurt, waffle, bagel and cream cheese. They also offer hot and cold cereals, juices, sweet rolls. The front desk was also helpful in advising us on a trip to the Shelburne Museum, about a half hour drive. The room had 2 double beds, a refrigerator, but no microwave. They do have a gym and pool, but we did not use them.

This hotel was easy to find and is the typical Best Western. That being said, the staff was VERY friendly, and the facility was spotless. Woo-Hoo! This is a hotel I would strongly recommend even if you are visiting the capital district or one of the ski locations. It is inexpensive, super clean, friendly, and easy to find. Now, I will tell you that in my case- the room next door was a bit loud and I did hear them until about 10 pm. (On one side. The other side was not). This was an adjoining room (we were not together, and the door stayed shut), so maybe that was a part of it, but if that is a problem for you, I would ask for a room without an adjoining room. Check In and Check out were both a breeze. Full breakfast is served in their cute little bistro area. One last thing- the road to and from the hotel (from the highway) is about 100 yards long and it is EXTREMELY STEEP. It was icy when I was there- they had a big snowstorm that night, so be careful.

I will tell you that our family visit VT at least twice a year and stay at this hotel!! They always are so kind and accommodating! The only this is that the breakfast changed over the years and isn't the same! Used to love the made to order! But still good for a full service continental breakfast!

Very nice hotel, customer service was excellent, great location and breakfast. Nice view of the area. The room was clean, good sized and had a refrigerator which is always a plus. There was a washer & dryer available on each floor. There's a fireplace in the lobby and another one on the first floor in a family area. 24 hr coffee/tea available. Will stay here again the next time we drive up to the area.

Wow what a room ,clean ,big ,had a fireplace in the bedroom also had a sitting room and huge Jacuzzi bathtub,the breakfast was more than I expected and the guy made sure everything was kept full and he was very polite, pool and hot tub were nice.Big thank you to the assistant manager,front desk was very helpful to th all so much

If you find yourself in the Waterbury area, whether it be for skiing, or hiking, or business, I recommend that you stay here. I stayed with my family and found the staff to be excellent. The room was very clean, the beds comfortable, and the breakfast was surprisingly good for continental.

The staff was excellent, breakfast fantastic, and the room was spotless. I bring bleach wipes to hotels normally, I did not need them. Location was perfect. Near market as well as great restaurants and pubs.

Traveling through Vermont on business, I was fortunate to come across this hotel as there are not all that many to choose from in the area and this one turned out to be excellent. While the architectural style says this is an older property, it has been very nicely refurbished and very well maintained. My room was large, very clean with new comfortable beds and furnishings although the bathroom was a bit tight, typical of hotels built at the time this one would have been. The hotel is up a bit of a hill and was tucked in quiet area such that I was undisturbed despite being a light sleeper. The public areas were also nicely refurbished and were warm and welcoming. The professional staff efficiently checked me in and out and kindly answered my questions. The free Wi-Fi seemed strong and reliable despite the hotel being large and spread out and the complimentary breakfast offered quite a few fresh selections and served in a room with a nice country décor.

This hotel was very conveniently located to all. Attractions, restaurants, shopping ,highways etc. nice decor. Huge gameroom way in back of hotel. Clean rooms. Clean overall. Comfy beds Really nice experience

Only stayed for one night but was well taken care of. The room was comfortable and clean. I liked the Kerug coffeemaker in the room. It's a two-story building with an e!evator. The complimentary breakfast includes everything but pancakes. The eggs were delicious and plentiful.The staff were very friendly. If in the future we find ourselves in Stowe Vt area, we'll definitely stay here again.

This is a very nice hotel. The room was very nice and it is in a good location. Only 15 minutes from Stowe. Great supper in town only one mile away. They have a nice staff that was very helpful. We enjoyed out stay.

hotel let us check in early, had a nice room ready, and we were able to enjoy the pool and hot tub for the afternoon. No one else was using it and it was delightful. They also had a very nice lounge with fireplace, books. games, and TV to relax. Has pizza delivered for supper from Zachary's which was very good. Room fridge was set a little too high - it froze our soda - but beds and bathroom were clean.

We were very pleased with our stay, choosing Waterbury as a central spot for our New England travels. The hotel is located on a hill with beautiful mountains views. The bed & pillows were very comfortable, ensuring a quality night's rest. The hotel staff was very helpful and polite, and the breakfasts were excellent offering a variety of foods. We would stay again.

We actually went to a concert last night in Burlington and decided to save a bundle by staying 30 minutes away in Waterbury. This is our third recent visit to BW Waterbury. BW Waterbury - you guys rock! We had an accessible queen with walk in shower which is a fairly small, but smartly appointed room, as always squeaky clean and comfortable. My only complaint is that there is no hook on the back of the door in the bathroom. The pool is warm (guess 81 degrees) and opens at 5 am. Towels are provided. I have to note that there is a very large, almost "residential style" common room away from the lobby near the pool. Lots of comfy seating and several round dining tables for rainy days playing board games or reading with the kids. This hotel has many amenities we seek out in resorts, without the price! Oh, breakfast excellent as usual...you have the best bacon. Thanks again to all the staff for another perfect visit at our Vermont "home"!

This is the second time we have stayed here. We had come over from England to see the fall in New England for the second time and enjoyed our stay here last time so booked again. The rooms are large with nice new bathrooms. The grounds surrounding the hotel are lovely and very well kept. The breakfast was pretty average but sufficient. It was a great stop off on our tour around New England, close to Stowe. There are also some great pubs in the nearby Waterbury town.

Charming hotel close to Waterbury Center. One of the best Best Western properties at which I have stayed. Would not stay elsewhere in this region. Good staff and terrific facilities. Close to attractions in the region.

Staff were very helpful, rooms were clean, bed was comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Able to use community room for family group that night. Check in and check out was very easy. We will definitely stay there again!

In the past we have had less than wonderful experiences staying at a Best Western. This one in Waterbury-Stowe changed that perception big time. Imagine our surprise when we were upgraded to a fabulous suite! I have had a Best Western rewards card with them for years and never had that happen. The people working there are top notch. They were helpful and attended to us as if we were the most important people there. All in all just a great place to stay. Highly recommend it!!!

Excellent overnight stay. Very clean hotel and spotless room. Quick check-in/check-out by very friendly professional staff. Very comfortable bed...not too hard and not too soft. Everything in room worked well. Breakfast excellent for this price range. Plenty of breakfast room space...almost like a small restaurant. Breakfast bar staff member kept room spotless and well stocked with hot items. Green Mountain Coffee is available free 24 hours a day and it's excellent. Keurig coffee makers with lots of variety K-cups in room were a plus. Far better than ancient mini-drip coffee makers which often don't work or dispense watered down excuse for coffee. Best Western has upped it game in recent years and this hotel is a fine example. More so because it is a better priced value than others in the area. We usually stay in Hampton Inns, Comfort Inn Suites or Garden Inns. This hotel matches or exceeds them in every way. Would stay again.

There are two floors. You can enter through the lobby or one of the outside doors nearer to your room. There are elevators everywhere. The pool room is very hot and steamy. The ping pong table room is nice. The sitting areas with fireplaces and large televisions are lovely. There are several types of fresh cookies and refreshing beverages available at the desk area. The work out room is open 24 hours. The breakfast is atypical for BW. It was quite a buffet with fresh watermelon and a huge variety of other items, not just the typical waffles, though they had those too. It is a huge room, and there is a secondary room available. The hotel is high on a hill at the intersection which takes you directly into the heart of Waterbury where the restaurants are located. The Ben & Jerry's (be there when they open), the Cold Hollow cider mill and the Boyden Valley Winery (same lot as the cider mill) are a two minute drive down the other road from the intersection. The rooms are spacious and clean. The double beds are really only big enough for two children and not two adults.

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised with our stay at this Best Western! Neither of us could remember the last time we stayed in a Best Western. Our room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. The rate was great also. We'll be staying in more Best Westerns in the future—if they're like this one!

We spent one night here on our leaf peeping long weekend. The property is very clean, the beds were quite comfortable and their breakfast was the best on our trip! I'm from Texas, so to find picante sauce on the buffet along with ham and Vermont cheese for my eggs, I had a wonderful omelet!We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here en route from a few days on the Maine coast back to Ontario. Very welcoming check in with an assortment of fresh baked cookies at the desk. It was very busy with several people checking in but the 2 clerks on the desks were excellent. One was having a language difficulty with a couple checking in but handled it very well and all were happy. We were checked in very quickly and then were given an upgraded room as we are reward prorgram guests. The room was a double bed room with 2 easy chairs, fireplace, jacuzzi tub and a wonderful separate shower. The room was very clean and super comfortable. The complimentary not breakfast was excellent and far better than most hotels offer. The hotel was very busy due to the start of leaf peeping season but it was very quiet. The beds were very comfortable and I loved the pillows. We will definitely be staying here again on another trip.

Check in fresh cookies. A quiet room. Breakfast included. Soft king size bed. Plenty of parking. Great location a mile from Ben and Jerry's factory. Definitely would stay here again. Drawback was I thought overpriced for Sunday single night stay.

We arrived for a night stay over. It is convenient to B&J, cider mill, glassblowing, and a visit to Stowe as well. The check in and out was quick and easy. Staff was friendly. Complimentary cookies in the lobby. The room was a good size, clean, bed was comfortable. We also enjoyed a dip in the enclosed heated pool and hot tub. Then played a quick game of ping pong on the table next to the pool. I would definitely stay here again.

Hotel was located in a great area. There is lots of room in this hotel to just sit and visit. Breakfast area was nice and large, selection of food was good. Folks were busy keeping the selections full. It was really nice to have fresh sliced fruit. Rooms were nice size.

We were just passing through from NY to ME. Waterbury is a charming town. The hotel was extremely cozy and clean. The bathrooms were spotless, updated and had locally made goat milk products. The room had a keurig coffee maker in them,

The breakfast is reason enough to stay here. Not your typical hotel breakfast buffet - everything is made fresh in house and tastes it. You can tell it has a chefs touch. Don't miss the housemate sausage gravy and biscuits - perfection! Nice dining space and some trails on site to walk after breakfast!

Last year we stayed at Best Western and were not too impressed. This year we went to Waterbury and they wanted to stay there so we agreed to stay there as well. Maybe it was the different room but whatever it was our view of the hotel went from indifferent to very positive. The room was nice and unlike last year the bed was comfortable. Breakfast about whet you would expect but the individual running the breakfast area did a great job. We would be happy to stay there again.

This was one of the best hotels that we stayed at while on a months tour of New England. Rooms were modern and comfy. The reception, hallways and public areas were well kept too. The pool was warm and overlooked the pretty garden. Breakfast was first class with a wide choice. Hotel has a covered bridge in the grounds plus woodland walks and we were lucky enough to see a moose. ben and Jerry's factory is a mile away which was worth the visit. Only slight niggle is that there are not many restaurants near this hotel.

Absolutely one of the best hotels we have stayed at over the years. Very homey feeling, very clean, friendly staff and the breakfast was absolutely awesome!!! I would recommend this place to anyone and if every hotel were like this it would be awesome. Manager went out of his way to help us find a local zip line place, Tim, the chef was very welcoming and he set up an incredible breakfast and it tasted great. Great job to everyone who is employed there!!!!!

What year is it? And I only get 3G here. At least it's less than a mile walk to Waterbury where I get LTE. I found a hair in my bedsheet. I guess that means they don't actually do laundry either. Never again!

BW is in close proximity to Norwich, everything is very clean, free breakfast was very good, and they have the indoor pool, hot tub, and game room to relax in. Did not get a chance to check bbn out the gym, but it looked really clean. We were happy with our stay, beds were full size so a little tight for 4 adults

This is the second time we have stayed here and it didn't disappoint. Clean rooms, friendly staff, great free breakfast, nice grounds and pool. Also, very close to the interstate highway, but quiet. We will return!

I stayed here with my husband in July hoping to have a romantic getaway. When we got into the room, we were disappointed in the dated decor and the uncleanliness of the room. Furthermore, our romantic stay abruptly ended by the loud noise through the halls and the walls. To top it off, when we got home, I had little red bumps all over my body and my doctor told me they were from bed bugs. Shame on us for saving a few dollars and not going to the Fairfield Inn that was cleaner and new! I guess you get what you pay for and we will never recommend this place to anyone.

The carpet in the first room was soaking wet. Becca at the front desk was great and moved us. But the other room was also very damp. Not sure if this was an anomaly. Otherwise the location was great with easy access to all major routes. The bathroom is very clean and nice. The pool and hot tub were great. If you have young kids it is a good place as they have a ping pong table, a swing set and a small slide. There is a covered bridge which is nice. The staff is very friendly. Also, we had breakfast included which was also very good.

Had one night here on our road trip passing through Vermont. The location is not very close to town, but the grounds and garden are beautiful and the staff is friendly. They don't have a working restaurant so you have to go out for dinner or order in. The room was small and needs some renovation. The queen beds were tiny! More like a single bed. I really don't like carpeted floors,they are always extremely dirty, but this is sadly too common in American hotels.The place is very family friendly. They had several cosy living rooms were you could sit and play games and enjoy your own wine. They have a beautiful covered bridge in their own backyard and they are only a 10 minutes walk from the Ben an Jerry ice cream factory. Good for a one night stay,but I think it will be boring to stay longer.

My family recently stayed at the Best Western in Stowe Vermont for a Lacrosse Tournament. The hotel is in a great location close to main roads and tourist attractions. The rooms are very comfortable and the breakfast in the morning has a lot of selections. We can't wait to come back next year!

Friendly staff, great facilities, good breakfast, decent rooms. Great little shop, free nice cookies at front desk. All restaurants in Waterbury are in walking distance (15 minutes). Special mention about the breakfast is the extensiveness and the overall quality.

We spent a week here at this hotel and we loved every minute of it. We arrived late but the check in was quick and efficient. I used the self checkin that was sent to me via email and that was easy enough to use. The rooms were clean, the bathrooms perfect, and the beds very comfortable. They even have those soap/shampoo/conditioner wal dispensers in the showers!!! Definitely recommend this place to anyone. Thank you!

My three kids and I stayed here and enjoyed the pool at night, hotel provided towels for the pool. We packed some not knowing but great to know for the future. We travel to VT often and will stay here again. Great place to stay and the location is perfect for heading into to Stowe and Waterbury.

Hotel is located up a steep hill just off Route 89. Really clean and quiet Even the breakfast was a cut above. Great value....price was significantly less than in Burlington. Will definitely return to this property!

This is such a great hotel for location, clean room, comfy bed, friendliness and good value. We stayed here last year and loved it - we've traveled all over and are, well, picky. We've tried other hotels in the Stowe area (they were nice) and this is our favorite, for sure. Being a tourist destination, we find being right off Rt 89 and in between Waterbury and Stowe ultra convenient for us. We stayed one night and were upgraded to a suite - thanks! Oh, breakfast is awesome - real bacon and eggs, fresh and refilled constantly...even when we were there around 9 am. Can't beat it for a great stay.

We stayed for two nights and so glad we did. All the staff were very friendly and the front desk staff were extremely helpful. Our room was spotless with a view of the mountains. Breakfast was excellent with a vast choice which was constantly topped up. Everyone appeared to take pride in the hotel. We would definitely stay here again when we visit Vermont.

Been a while since we stayed here. Returned for one night and glad we did. Friendly front desk staff. Clean and comfortable king bed room. Some renovations have been done since we were here last and look great. These include the room, bathroom and the game room. Too bad the restaurant is closed but the newly renovated space made for a nice breakfast room with the many food offerings. Convenient to downtown Waterbury (walking distance) for many dining options. Will not hesitate to stay here again.

We were happy with our room and stay. Staff very nice. Warm cookies at desk- we should have grabbed one on arrival,- checked later, but too late!! Water pressure and bathroom amenities are nice. The grounds are lovely, covered bridge, outdoor wooden swing and a glider for 2. Nice patio area with seating. Pool is covered and looked nice, hot tub too! We booked thru Expedia for $95/night. Room was quiet, co.fortable double beds. No refrigerator in our roo., but loved Keurig. Close to restaurants

I am an avid traveler and reviewer of hotels and this hotel was a disappointment. My stay was due to a wedding in town and hotel options are limited. Right away I noted the high price point for the area. With this not being a prime tourist area I felt they were driving the prices up based on limited availability. I was hoping that I would be surprised on arrival, which I was not. I would have valued this hotel at $120 tops. Here are my thoughts. Location - Good. Right off the interstate. Up on a hill. It is set away from town about a mile but we walked to dinner and it was an easy 15-20 minute stroll. The best view, however is from the parking lot. There is an adorable covered bridge on the back lawn however - go check that out. Room - Very outdated and musty. The beds are comfortable but I booked a 2 queen and the beds are full at best. There is great shower pressure however. I asked for a view of the mountains and got a view of the parking lot at trees (239). Fitness Center - Outdated and no free weights. Pool - Pretty typical, indoor but with large doors that open out. Game rooms - We loved the idea of this but the rooms are unfinished and with one sad ping pong table. There is a game room with board games, however that is cozy. Internet and Food - No clue. Since we were in the wedding party we were in the room to sleep only and were out very early. Again, this stay fell flat and I just cant believe they can get away with pricing it where they do. I paid more here for hotels in the summer in Los Angeles! If the choice is between this hotel and the Marriott - stay at the Marriott as that seemed to be more updated and modern per other guests.

Overpriced for the stay but it's in a tourist area and Vermont is expensive. Good breakfast . I like the kuerig coffee pot and pods. Good area in Stowe. Close to the freeway. Have stayed her for a week a couple of times would stay here again .

Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Nice breakfast with fresh fruit. The staff was very friendly and helpful! Also, there's a covered bridge back of the parking lot. Also, close to several area attractions.

Up on a hill which makes it very quite and out of the way. Would stay here again. Clean, comfortable beds. The entire motel was very clean and well kept. Staff was most polite and helpful. This motel is convenient to many attractions in the Vermont area. Including Ben & Jerry's and others.

Clean room. Easy check in and check out. Nice staff, everyone was friendly. Kid loved the heated pool. Pool area was clean. Bonus, hotel has a nice large family room near the pool if your traveling with a larger family and want some extra space.

The location is great, beautiful view and easy walk to restaurants. The pool and common room are great for families, and the breakfast was basic but well done. My only issue was that the bathroom didn't have a fan, which meant that by the time everyone was showered, the whole room was steamed up. Still, definitely would recommend.

Enjoyed our two night stay , lovely staff especially Andrew at reception and the Chef was great . The room was ideal ,clean smart and had everything we needed we needed for our stay . Good wifi and comfy beds . Breakfast was really good but why plastic cutlery? It's bad for the environment, we couldn't even use them without them snapping and ruined the breakfast experience... shame . Will stay again thanks .

This property was a top notch family friend/budget type hotel. The property was immaculate inside and out. The guest rooms were equally pristine. It was easy to find and the staff was friendly. It was an easy 30 minute drive from Burlington. I would stay here again.

The hotel and room were nice and clean. The breakfast was good and the area for breakfast has just been redone. However the breakfast area now takes over what was the bar/bistro area. I have stayed here several times over the past 4 years while my daughter has attended school in VT and have always been pleased. If you are looking for dinner or a drink at the bar, this is no longer possible and was the only disappointment of my stay..

This hotel is VERY clean. The employee who checked us in was extremely attentive and courteous. Excellent customer service! I wish I had taken his name down to send a note to Management. They also have free breakfast. There is quite a spread! The cooks would often come out of the kitchen to make sure that everything was stocked up and they would greet you with a smile and good morning. We felt very welcome here and recommend this hotel highly.

I would strongly recommend this Best Western. Everything about the hotel is excellent, clean, up-to-date. Staff are friendly and helpful. There is an excellent indoor pool room, with a pool large enough to swim laps, and a hot tub.

The hotel is situated between the town of Waterbury and the Ben & Jerry's Factory, just off highway 89. Stowe is merely a 15 minute drive down route 100. The hotel has ample parking. We were upgraded to a one bedroom suite with kingsize bed that features a fireplace, kitchenette and whirlpool bath.The warm buffet breakfast was good just as at any other BW Plus hotel.We enjoyed our stay as the staff was very helpful. Will definitely return here on our next visit to this scenic area.

Location and price are well worth the trip. Bring food as there is not a lot of options nor does this location have a lounge. Very close to Ben & Jerry's, Cabot Cheese and Apple Cider Mill. Several fun adventures in the area. Take Rt. 100 for a spectacular scenic view.

This is a great family place. Nice pool, hot tub, and game room. Staff are extra nice here. Got a suite, no door in between sitting area, but it worked. Pull out couch and got a roll away, free of charge. Bathroom huge. Shower awesome, jet tub. Kuerig coffee maker (extra coffee at front desk including dark roast!) Microwave and fridge. Stowe is 11 miles away. Back roads. They're doing night work on the main road, which is a hassle, but not horrible. We had a great time.

April 15, 2018 We were greeted right away! Very clean and nice room! Breakfast had all you would need! Plenty of amenities pool, game room, vending machines and washer & dryer! I believe the entire hotel is smoke free. I know the floor we stayed in was. We will definitely stay again! Highly recommend! Thank you

TV didn't work (had to change room after loading in), then TV worked in new room (after some arcane process of unplugging, waiting, plugging back in), expired snacks offered as reward option (got new ones, also expired - threw them out), no soap or cups replaced after 2 days in room.

My husband and I stated at this hotel for 4 nights and it was wonderful. We were greeted by Tabitha who was very welcoming. We had arrived earlier than anticipated and was hoping for an early check-in. We were told that we could check in early however it would cost us an additional $15. In as much as we had booked a suite and had already paid what I felt was a fair price, we decided to hang out in the lobby. After approximately 1/2 hour, Tabitha announced that we would be able to go into our sweet and there would be no charge. Breakfast was served daily, and under the watchful eye of Tim, all the food was delicious. He kept everything filled, made sure that tables were clean, and that everything we needed or wanted was available to us. The knowledge of the staff and the area restaurants was excellent. Tabitha had advised us to try a few of the restaurants, which we did do, and we were not disappointed. The rooms were clean although there was construction going on during our stay. The construction did not interfere with our vacation in any way. The game room was clean and neat, the pool was clean, and all of the staff was wonderful. Thank you to Tabitha and Tim for a very relaxing mini vacation.

We stayed here recently while visiting the Mad River valley and found that the Best Western Plus had everything we needed! Not being familiar with the area we chose this hotel because of the 3 Ps. Price, pool and the proximity to the Mad River valley. It was a few minutes to where we came to explore, but also found that Waterbury had some great spots to visit as well. A return trip is needed to take more of it in! The hotel has a great lodge feel and was easy to navigate. I suspect there are great views but we were in town during a snowy, rainy, foggy weekend so we did not have that experience. The hotel and pool area were very clean which was great. We didn't use the hot tub on this trip, but it had frequent visitors! Plenty of towels in the pool area and when they ran low, a quick phone call had towels back on the shelf in less than 5 minutes. The pool was a bit colder than I would have expected, but this may be because they have a wonderful glass enclosure that, when not snow covered, likely lets in a ton of light. They also have a game room with ping pong and air hockey as well as some arcade style video games. There is also a family type rooms with boards games and couches where one could hang out with family and friends. There was much to do outside as well, but due to the inclement weather, we did not get to partake. The bed was ok but not outstanding. The rooms also had goat's milk soaps and wall mounted shampoo and conditioner dispensers which were convenient. Green Mountain coffee was available in the room and plenty of coffee is available at breakfast and the coffee station in the common area. There was no microwave in the room, but we did have a mini fridge to keep items cold. Breakfast was good and there were local VT eggs, bacon, toast, as well as cereals, fruit and yogurt offerings. In addition, there was a waffle making station that was fun to use as well. You get a yummy Best Western branded waffle when it is done cooking! What made our visit so good was the staff. We had to move the original date of our visit due to an unanticipated emergency and the staff made it easy for us to do so. I want to point out that we had wonderful interactions with the staff as well. From a simple smile while passing in the hall on the way to the pool, to longer conversations at the front desk. Every single employee we encountered, from the person performing maintenance on the hot tub, to the nice fellow getting the extra bed out of the closet in the hall, each person made eye contact and smiled or spoke to us. I was extremely impressed as this is not the norm that we have experienced in our travels. Even my three year old daughter told me that "everybody is really friendly here!" That was what impressed me the most. The management is clearly making good choices with their hiring decisions. Kudos to the management and the top notch staff! Should you be in the area you should stay at the Best Western Plus. I believe you will find that you were glad that you did.

We stay at this hotel every winter when we ski at Stowe. It has a great cancellation policy. It is clean and comfortable and includes a great breakfast. Great location for dinner in Stowe or Waterbury.

After skiing all day, this hotel is a wonderful end-of-day destination. The hot tub is heaven! Beyond that, it was a delight to see all the ways this hotel supports VT and sustainability: compostable coffee cups (no styrofoam), Green Mt. coffee in rooms, powerful water-efficient toilets and goat's milk bar soap! Breakfast includes scrambled FRESH local eggs, VT maple syrup, and Chobani yogurt. We'll definitely return!

The hotel room and pool are clean. The staff is friendly. The location is perfect to ski Stowe. We enjoyed the hot tub after a long day of skiing. They clean the hot tub every week (they close it on Mondays). The covered bridge is really rustic and cute on the property. I would return.

I was looking to book a hotel for a snowmobile trip, I called and talked with Andrew and asked if they were close to the snowmobile trails, he said that there were trails around but nothing leading up to the hotel, I said well there is a trail to the gas station across the street, so we should be able to get there. He then volunteered that even if we were able to reach the hotel that they would not allow snowmobiles to be parked in their parking lot. I never heard of such a thing, Vermont people being anti-snowmobile! Obviously they cater only to the skiing crowd and don't like snowmobilers. I am going to send a note to the local club and to VAST to have them removed from their trail maps as a lodging location. I was very disappointed in their attitude!

Recently spent one night at the Best Western Waterbury while skiing two full days at Sugarbush. This was my second stay this property. The location is perfect for day trips to either Sugarbush and/or Stowe. The hot tub and indoor pool are nice resources to have, the room was comfortable and the service was excellent - the front desk clerk lent me an iPhone charger cord as I left mine at home and I returned it the following morning. Thanks! Breakfast was ok for what I paid for the room, but all in all, I was happy with my stay.

We had a very nice room with a fireplace, huge walk in shower.We stayed for 2 nights and received a full breakfast buffet each morning. The room was very clean and updated,the staff was very helpful and caring.

This was a very nice hotel and the stay was great. They have breakfast, a pool, jacuzzi etc. It's near a few places where you can eat. The hill you have to drive up is pretty steep; which is probably bad for ice and sleet in the Winter.

We spent two nights at this nice lodge-like property while in town for a wedding. Several families stayed with us, and everyone had a great time at the hotel. Much nicer than your usual Best Western (hence the "Plus" in the name, right?). Just off the highway, up a very steep hill. Rooms were clean and average size, suite with fireplace was a very nice size for a family. Staff were very accommodating, friendly and attentive, from the front desk to the two men working the breakfast buffet each morning. Breakfast had more offerings than other BWs we had just stayed at, and staff kept patiently restocking food for the many families lining up for food. Very small lobby for the size of the property, BUT by far the best part was the common area way at the very end of one of the hallways. We used that as a large but cozy place to hang out. Connecting to this large living room were the workout room, arcade, and large, beautiful glass-enclosed pool area with pretty wooded views. That area also has large men's and women's locker rooms with private showers, lockers and changing area, toilets and sinks. Our family spent a few hours in this common area before the wedding and it was large and comfortable with enough seating and tables for our large group to spread out and eat lunch. At night, dozens of guests were in there watching a football game, and it was still comfortable for all. The cot we got for an extra fee was pretty much a regular twin bed and very comfortable.

This Best Western is your typical Vermont hotel with the typical amenities( free hot breakfast, WIFI, Cable, Hot Tub). No real complaints about the hotel, with the exception of that HILL. It is about a 30 minute drive to Stowe and/or Sugarbush resorts.

It was ideally placed between Sugarbush and Stowe. The rooms were clean with good beds. Free wifi that worked great. Complimentary breakfast was good with the friendliest chef, Tim. Front desk people for the most part were nice. The common room had a big TV, fireplace, and tables to play games. Whirlpool was not crowded but it turns off every 8 minutes and ofen won't restart. Nice heated pool. Decent gym. Our room unfortunately didn't have a safe box. The shower soap dispenser was broken. The library room TV didn't function and no one could help us. A couple couldn't drive up the snowy steep driveway and no one could help them. My brother couldn't get up the hill - and people (employees?) just watched as the family pushed the car up. What a STEEP hill. Thank goodness at least I had all wheel drive so I became the chauffeur for all of us.

Super clean and welcoming hotel with down to earth staff with great senses of humour. Delicious breakfast buffet with passionate chef that has kept us talking about it even after our stay. Fantastic pool and lounge area with library and board games, as well as arcade and ping pong table. Beautiful mountain view, excellent central, but quiet location. Just fab!

We came back for a ski trip. If you want to ski at Stowe and/or Sugarbush, this place is about 30-35 minutes from each resort. They renovated the hotel with all new beds and new bathrooms. We stayed in one of three family suites that has 2 queen beds and a fireplace. The room was fantastic. It was roomy and very clean. Their common area is comfortable with a large television, fireplace and multiple tables to eat dinner if you do take-out like we did one night. The indoor pool is heated and the hot tub was nice after a day on the slope. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. Their breakfast is the typical BW - eggs, pig product, waffles, cereals, yogurt.... One very important note: this hotel is on a very steep hill. If you are coming during winter, you will need at least front-wheel drive. If you have rear-wheel drive and the road and driveway are not plowed, you will not get into the parking lot. Overall, this is a great place for the money.

Very nice hotel. Clean, welcoming, well decorated, with nice swimming pool, gym, relax fireplace reading area. Great location between Stowe (Smugglers) and Killington ski resorts. In my experience, prices tend to vary enormously, so please check ahead of time.

My husband and I enjoyed another wonderful night at Best Western Plus Hotel in Waterbury/Stowe in Vermont. Neat, clean, and comfortable rooms along with beautiful Christmass decorations gave our one night stay a perfect touch. Thank you Best Wester Plus Staff! :-)

Nice hotel tough to get up hills during winter storm but no fault of the hotels. They workout facility is one of the better ones I've been too size wise but the machines (stationary bike) could use some work. Breakfast was adequate friendly staff.

Awesome place to stay in Stowe, We were there in the fall. Great price, clean and spacious room with a surprise jacuzzi tub in the huge bathroom. Breakfast included and was more than a sparse continental. Great place to land.

Super clean and everything worked properly couldn't ask for more. Check in was a breeze however check out took a little longer than I would've liked as the staffer behind the counter was a little unsure of the checkout procedure. Otherwise no issues 10 out of 10

Hands down, this is the most pleasant, kind, caring and hospitable hotel staff I have encountered anywhere. This is a beautiful, quaint hotel with many amenities and close to many local restaurants and sites. We visit the area each year and we will always choose this hotel for all our stays.

This hotel was excellent! Modern, clean, spacious and new. The room and bathroom were above my expectations for a small town, chain hotel. The front desk was nice and the amenities in room were great. they recommended a great local restaurant just down the road. Wish all of my hotels in October had been this nice.

We loved a lot about this place. It is located in a scenic area and there is a covered bridge on site. It is just a few minutes' drive from the Ben and Jerry's HQ. We stayed in a suite, which had an odd layout (lots of corners to turn), but the bathroom was really large, with a jetted tub and a shower. There were plenty of towels provided, which was much appreciated and so rare in hotels today. Our room had a fireplace as well. Breakfast began early, which was a great time to go as it filled up pretty quickly. There was a good selection of items, including real maple syrup. Just as a tip--when we were looking online at booking, the room descriptions were a bit confusing. It was much easier to call the hotel and speak to someone. They were able to clear up the confusion right away.

Walked the entire property--not there. I assume they are supposed to be in the bistro, but it appears there is some remodeling happening which should have been disclosed prior to booking. That said, room was nice, bed comfy, all amenities available. Breakfast good, nothing special, but better than continental for sure. Staff at breakfast exceptional. Check in staff very unfriendly with perhaps 7 words spoken. Hotel kept neat and clean. A bit far from Stowe and Burlington but nice area. Good price for sure.

Hot tub and fireplace suite was perfect romantic getaway!! Wet bar set up with fridge was just right, dinning room set up was great. living room r with fireplace was awesome. Bedroom was perfect and bathroom set up with hot tub was perfect!!

awesome price and service--group rate for wedding great and breakfast was super and included. arranged for early check in for all our guests so they could get to the wedding on time. would highly reccommend--though beds comfortable they are full

Warm fire, cookies and coffee when you arrive. Friendly prompt service. Clean rooms. Great breakfast including bacon and eggs. Large pool area. Arcade and cozy sitting area with a fireplace. Also gym and locker room with showers! This place was great and location was right off the highway. Head to The Reservior in Waterbury for dinner- one of the best meals I've EVER had.

Chosen because we were familiar with the brand and because it was the only one we recognized on the GPS listing, we gave it a try. Pleasantly surprised. Everyone was soooo friwndly and helpful. Warm cookies awaited us at check-in, a friendly manager helped us find the perfect restaurant and breakfast was more than the usual donuts and coffee. Wonderful experience! Would recommend and/or return for another stay.

I highly recommend this hotel. My family and I were welcomed to the hotel with hot cider and cookies. The staff was very friendly and the room was extremely clean. This hotel also has a very nice pool, hot tub, and game room.

Attractive hotel. Pleasant reception area, cookies upon arrival. Room was clean. Great location with Stowe nearby, Montpelier and Burlington within an hour drive. Downtown Waterbury plenty of local restaurants which were very good. Only complaint was walls were thin and our neighbors were extremely loud until midnight.

Very good place to stay in Waterbury. Very helpful staff. Big, clean rooms. good location close to Ben and Jerrys. Restaurant with good food and great breakfast. Fair price for what they offer. Would recommend if you are in the area. Enjoy!

My husband and I visited here during a long leaf looking trip throughout New England. This hotel is nice and clean. The rooms are pretty outdated but everything was up to standard. Clean showers and nice bed. Our room had a mini fridge, microwave and k-cup machine. It was quite nice. We also utilized the laundry facilities. There was one was and one dryer and they did the job just fine. I probably wouldn't be in the area again but if so I would stay. Nice and clean. No frills. Outdated.

I have stayed in several hotels in Vermont and this is listed one of three hotels I have given 5 out of 5 to stay. When you are in Waterbury you should stay as this place is affordable, clean and staff very friendly.

This Best Western hotel was really really nice. Everything about the room felt luxurious: the furniture was high-end, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was really pretty. The pool and hot tub were great. There is a sitting area near the fitness centre that is filled with books and board games, and this was nice too. Overall, a great place to stay in Waterbury.
