    « Friendly Place »

This hotel has everything, food, location, pool, gym and great people working there. Right off 89 with Ben & Jerry's, Shaws & Pizza, plenty of scenery and close to Stow in Winter for skiing and summer for sight seeing.

    « Nice and clean »

We booked here for a quick getaway thru Expedia (thru the mystery price selection) and we were very pleased. An older hotel but recently refurbished. Clean and all in good working order. Breakfast has real bacon! :) A little restaurant/bar on site, nice pool, and pleasant staff. I would stay here again.

    « Great Stay Overall »

The room was very good, recently renovated, comfortable beds, clean with a small but sufficient bath with good shower pressure and really nice toiletries. The in-house restaurant was surprisingly very good. We had dinner there 2 evenings out of our four night stay. Breakfast is complementary and is also served in the restaurant. The breakfast was your typical chain hotel type, but nice service. Our only main complaint was the cleanliness of the pool and the function of the hot tub. We spent a good amount of time at the pool and noticed little attention by the staff. After 3 days we noticed quite a bit of green algae growing around the wall at the bottom and around the steps. We notified the front desk and after about an hour or more a maintenance person came and "cleaned it" but did not remove the entire amount of algae. He seemed annoyed to be doing the job and we assumed that maybe that wasn't his responsibility. We have stayed at other BW Plus hotels and have noticed pool personal checking pH routinely throughout the day. This one we never saw a person ever test the water and we spent considerable amount of hours during 2 days of our stay. We chose this hotel for their hotel setup. The hot tub was another thing you had to learn to hold the button down until it started. That was just dumb luck that we figured that out because no one at the front desk knew what to do. If you are planning to just stay and not use the pool facility, this will be a good choice. Best Western should be aware of these issues.

    « Stunning Getaway »

This hotel was absolutely stunning for my two year anniversary and I wouldn't have picked a more romantic hotel. Even with the pool and restaurant closed for renovations, everything was gorgeous and the staff was excellent and hospitable.

    « Good but expensive »

Good hotel, but expensive for this area/quality. We had good experience in other hotel in the area for cheaper, sometimes lot cheaper. The hotel is near the highway, and 25 minutes walk from downtown waterbury. A nice place to go drink few good Vermont beers (3 nice location). I was surprise that we had a fridge in our room, that was a +..

    « Vermont Conference »

Very beautiful area in October. Close to many sites and adventures. Very restful and comfortable stay. Pool area, exercise area and lounge area were vey nice. Close to Highway 89 for traveling purposes.

    « Nice experience! »

Very nice hotel, love the covered bridge out back. As an added bonus, they have the AMC channel so we were able to catch the season premier of The Walking Dead. Perfectly located for the Ben and Jerry's tour, Cabot cheese sampling, Green Mountain coffee visitor's center and cider donuts.

« Convenient to everything and great price »

We found everything to be just fine at this hotel and didn't need to spend a fortune for a great experience in the region. For tourists there are of course all the ski areas, but also there is the Village of Stowe, which has shops and history and gorgeous scenery up in Sterling Forest on a late October day. There was a light snow falling over near the hotel. We were there on business in the area, but would return for pleasure. It's not meant to be a luxury hotel but is very affordable. Why pay more? You can do all the same things from here.

    « Great stop over! »

This is a lovely hotel in a lovely setting. The staff were friendly, apart from one of them who gave some very rare looks!! The breakfast was good. The pool and jacuzzi very good. We had a hour playing table tennis in the games room, so could not really be bored in this place. Ben and Jerry's factory in 5 mins away. Would definitely return to Vermont, what a lovely US state - and so friendly.

« Good hotel, good location, poor breakfast. »

The title says it all. The location was convenient for seeing the beautiful fall foliage, nice little town nearby, good choice of restaurants....unfortunately, not near enough to walk to. The hotel restaurant was pretty good, but was closed on our first night there!

    « Autumn trip »

We were in Vermont in the autumn 2016 and the scenery was spectacular . We spent a night at the Best Western Waterbury-Stowe. This is the second time that we have stayed in this hotel and it is just as good as remembered. The location is so convenient and the view is wonderful. The staff are most friendly and helpful. The lobby, room and restaurant are great. The one complaint we have is the breakfast. It is plentiful and numerous choices but just not exciting actually rather boring. That being said we would definitely return. .

    4
« Not the most upscale (or updated) place, but a pleasant overall stay »

We made reservations here rather last minute, only a couple days before arriving. It wouldn't have been our first choice but many of the other hotels were booked. We had a pleasant stay but I'm not sure I'd stay here again without trying some other area hotels first. Pros: easily accessible location, staff was helpful, indoor pool/hot tub, restaurant/bar on site, room was clean, bathrooms are recently updated Cons: most of the hotel is dated, room itself wasn't very spacious, game room is lacking actual working games (minus free ping pong)

    5
« Very nice but expensive »

They play with their rates during peak times overall it is a very nice hotel, staff is friendly beds are comfortable the only thing they lack is their breakfast is cheap and doesn't change.the pool area is nice

« First trip to Stowe, hope to return »

My sister and I stayed at this hotel in Waterbury for 2 nights following a disappointing stay at another hotel chain in White River Junction. We were very pleased with our choice of the Best Western Plus. Jeff, who checked us in, was pleasant and courteous and made us feel welcome, as did the other hotel staff. We enjoyed the pool and were impressed with the additional features, including the game room and large living-room-type area between the pool and fitness center. The breakfast was good and we appreciated that the seating area was actually a very comfortable restaurant. We both needed to get some work done while on vacation, so we were glad for the high-speed internet. All in all, we definitely enjoyed our visit to the Waterbury-Stowe area.

    5
    « Great Place »

Great location and clean. Very friendly staff. Indoor pool was nice. Bed was comfortable. Close to attractions. Ben & Jerry's factory is a half mile away. Easy on/off access to Interstate 89. Can't go wrong.

« No room in the Inn but room in their hearts »

I made the mistake of going to Vermont during the height of the Fall Foliage without a reservation. I knew better but thought I would find a place. The hotels I stopped at and the Internet indicated that there was nothing available throughout Vermont. The staff at the Best Western, when I told them my challenge, went out of their way to find a place at a local Inn for me to stay. The spirit of the two individuals on the desk on Saturday night, October 8th were beyond my expectation. They would not settle for being sleeping in my car or driving back to Boston, which were my two basic options. After almost 30 minutes of searching different options they found me a place that was acceptable. It was classic Vermont hospitality. Managment you should be proud of the quality of the people you have working. I regret that I did not remember their names.

    « recommending this hotel »

Whenever we travel, the first hotel chain we consider is a Best Western. This trip did not disappoint. We spent 14 nights in a hotel, 10 were in Best Westerns and all of them were very nice with pleasant staff and really good breakfasts.

« FALL AND OLD FRIENDS »

My husband and I always stay at the Waterbury-Stowe Best Western for our annual(if all goes well the rest of the year) trip to Vermont.. This year we brought my dear friend from childhood. We met at the age of 8 and now at 59 are still the best of friends. They enjoyed this hotel too. The lounge/restaurant has fantastic food. Very clean, helpful staff, and great internet. The views are postcard perfect. The covered bridge on the property is a nice place to stroll with your coffee in the morning or a hot chocolate in the evening. Centrally located to all of the wonderful activities for families and friends. Old and young. Our birth certificates may say "getting up there", but our hearts say "play, play, play" and we did!! Enjoy the Best Western of Waterbury-Stowe.

« Welcoming fresh cookies at the check-in »

Really nice staff. Either new, or newly renovated bathrooms. Room was clean and quiet. The Bistro had a very nice menu. Try the cider squash soup...it was incredible! The waitress was amazing...the waiter was over his head, but nice. The only negative was because of it being October...it was pricey! Does anyone expect to pay over $250 on a weekday for a Best Western?

    « Leaf peeping »

We drove up to Vermont last minute from Boston and stayed here for 1 night. The rooms were quite expensive but it was a holiday weekend at peak foliage so that is to be expected. Our first room smelled like smoke but we were immediately moved to another once contacting the front desk. The new room was comfortable and clean and we had no complaints.

« Pricey overnighter while leaf peeping »

Quiet night after prolonged checkin. I was behind two European couples who must have been more VIP than me. I waited so long that husband came in from car to see what was taking so long. THe clerk that was helping them slipped out the backdoor leaving me again waiting for next worker to come on shift without one word to me--- needs a lesson in hospitality. Room quite small, had I known the area better I would have chosen local, "more character" inn up towards Stowe. MOre value and more personable

    5
« Not What You May Think... »

While this is a chain hotel, the inside of the hotel has a very lodge-like feel. They have a restaurant, a library, game room, pool, and hot tub!! Their rooms were great and the bathrooms were beautiful. And, it's really not that far away from Stowe. I would recommend this as a place to stay.

    4
    « Expensive »

This is a lovely hotel perched on top of a steep hill. Room was very comfortable and well appointed...which it should be considering the price! Complimentary (don't believe it...it's in the room rate) breakfast was about like we would get at a Hampton Inn (at half the room rate)...biscuits and sausage gravy barely warm, fruit bowl included some items that staff should have known better than put out, eggs were pre-made cardboard-like probably come in a box frozen, the usual make your waffle...you get the picture. So! Nice place? Absolutely. But pricey.

    5
    « Pleasant Stay »

Great place to stay with a family. Staff is wonderful! The bed is comfortable. The room was clean! Dinner and breakfast was delicious. I forgot my charger in the room and I received a call from the hotel asking if they could mail me the charger.

« Lovely Hotel with it's very own Covered Bridge! »

A wonderful hotel with amazing grounds and property over looking the green mountains of Waterbury, Vermont. Just miles from Montpelier (capitol city) and Smuggler's Notch. Very central location to enjoy all of Vermont. Ben and Jerry's almost within walking distance and Cold Hollow Cider just down the rode. The Hotel sits on a bluff with wonderful views. It has it's very own full size covered bridge over a small pond surrounded by tall trees. The indoor amenities include large comfortable sitting area, ping pong, foosball, exercise room, heated indoor pool, complimentary breakfast and superior personal service from the friendly staff.

« Beautiful, Convenient Location with Cozy Feel »

I originally booked two separate reservations due to confusion in booking, and the staff, though very busy at the time of our check-in, were able to merge both reservations as well as provide my boyfriend and I with a complimentary upgrade to celebrate our anniversary. The staff were calm even though they had a line of guests and the front desk agents ensured my boyfriend and I knew where the amenities (pool, ice machine, gym, game room) were upon check-in. The rooms were super nice and well-cleaned. The Keurig in the room was a nice touch and the camera-like thing that replaced a peephole was really cool. I appreciated that I could designate exactly what type of housekeeping service I wanted the night before and not have to explain in the morning. The only downside was that the room we were in was right next to the lobby, so it was a little harder to sleep in, but this probably wouldn't be a problem for early-risers. The breakfast had some good variety- there were eggs cooked like a patty to be put in breakfast sandwiches, American cheese, white and wheat bread, bagels (which my boyfriend said were very good), Banana bread (which was a little dry), and waffles you could make yourself. Beverage choices included cranberry, orange, apple juice, water, decaf coffee, Green Mountain roast.

    « Pleasantly surprised »

We stayed here for several nights in September. Our room had 2 beds and were very comfortable . It had all the usual room appointments one would expect. There is an onsite restaurant which serves dinner. We ate there one night as we were tired and didn't want to go out after just arriving. The food was very good and well priced. Breakfast is complimentary and good, although I hate eating off paper plates. Staff are nice and very efficient. The lobby is small; the views from the hotel are so pretty- its a shame there is no where to sit and enjoy the views.

    « Response to survey »

Was a nice hotel but was very disappointed in no exhaust fan in the bathroom. I also thought I would have a room with a better view than the roof & all the heavy duty air conditioning units to look at. I made my reservations well in advance so I would at least get a somewhat better view. I felt like I was shoved in a corner.

    4
    « Solid Choice »

Stayed one night in a room that accommodated three adults. Found the room of ample size, as was the bathroom, clean, with free WiFi that worked well. Free parking, better than average exercise facility and included continental breakfast. The hotel is on the main street that runs through town but the facility was relatively quiet. You probably need a vehicle to reach one of several regional restaurants. That said, the hotel is well situated for visiting surrounding sites. The room charge is midrange, reasonable for the area. Would stay there again.

    5
    « Pleasure »

Best hotel we've stayed at in a long time! We usually just look for a hotel when we get tired of driving and pick one that looks good. It was true this time as well but we lucked out. Not only was it a great hotel but the room rate was lower than the previous hotels we stayed at on our trip. We are definitely going to plan future trips so that we stay in Best Western Hotels.

    « Great service »

Stayed at this hotels while visiting the area. The staff was very friendly and helpful Rooms were clean and comfortable. I was able to use the indoor pool and hot tub and had the place to myself. My friends and I were able to have a couple of beers in the hotel bar which was very relaxing and the service was excellent. Breakfast in the morning was great l

    3
    « Small rooms »

The hotel was clean and comfortable for the most part but the rooms were very small. I stayed with my two children and we were on top of each other the entire stay. The breakfast was lacking and they ran out of many things while we were there.

    5
    « Great as always »

Was a little pricey for a suite. We usually take just a room however all was booked so we were happy to be able to secure the suite. As always, everyone was very friendly, hotel and room are always clean, great breakfast, and super nice staff

    4
    « nice hotel »

this was a nice hotel. nice pool and spa. one of the bigger gyms in a hotel and nice seating areas for groups. breakfast was about the same as you usually see. cookies in the lobby at night was a nice touch.

    5
    « Great place »

It was a great hotel. Free breakfast was good. Customer service was great. Nancy was really nice at the front desk also the service at the Bistro at the lobby was excellent by Stephanie. Good food too.

« Labor Day weekend at Stowe »

We spent 2 nights during the Labor Day weekend at Stowe. The stay was pretty decent and the service was good. The location is about 10 miles from Stowe village center and I wished we were closer. The rooms were comfortable and well maintained but offered no great mountain views as was expected. The pool and game room were good and we saw lot of kids enjoying there. The place is close to all the good dining options in Waterbury and we had some great food from the nearby Blackback pub. Overall a decent option in the area if you are fine with a 20-25 minute drive to all the attractions and trails.

    3
    « Decent Place »

We stayed here Labor Day and enjoyed it! The woman working the front desk was very nice and had cookies baked for those checking in. The restaurant was closed because it was Labor Day which was disappointing! The room was clean and nice with a fridge and a Keurig coffee maker. Bathroom was modern and updated with plenty of towels! Overall a very pleasant stay and would stay here again! The picture is the view from the parking lot!

    5
« Great Location, helpful staff »

Walking distance to all the great beer in Waterbury. Staff was so helpful and great to me. My car broke down and they bent over backwards making sure everything was okay and I enjoyed my stay. Thank you!

« nice hotel. one on the best Best Westerns »

As a Gold Crown member I have stayed in dozens of Best Westerns, This is one of the very best! It is a tremendous value. The grounds and pool are especially nice. I look forward to another stay for business or pleasure trip.

    5
« Beautiful place to stay »

As a traveler who has a disability, this hotel is very accessible and plans to renovate the front desk to make it even more barrier free for persons using wheelchairs. The breakfast was so good, it does not compare to the many other "free breakfast" experience. Real dishes, real eating utensils and real food. As a plus, they even have recycle garbage containers in the rooms in addition to the entire building.

« Great Location, Nice hotel, Accomodating Staff »

This is the "best" BEST WESTERN hotel I have ever stayed at. It is located in a scenic area. The staff genuinely want their guests to have a memorable and comfortable stay. They really try to accommodate all requests. Nice pool, vermont traditional bridge, picnic tables, playground. Our family had a wonderful time.

    5
    « Best Western - Waterbury »

The hotel is situated in a Beautiful setting. They have an Extremely helpful and caring staff. They genuinely want their guests to have a great and memorable stay. All requests were responded to promptly and efficiently. Good amenities. Nice pool, playground, classic Vermont Bridge. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

    5
    « Superb helpful staff »

We stayed one night here - loved the room and especially the very comfortable large bed. I swam twice in the pool and had it to myself!! Lovely surroundings - beautiful views. Breakfast was okay- but glad they had fresh fruit!! Our car broke down after we had checked out and the guys on the front desk were super helpful and friendly- I forgot to get their names but one was so good he helped us back into our room so we could call out car rental company. Thank you so much for your kindness- your company should be pleased with your customer service!! A great hotel- I would definitely recommend it!!!

    4
    « Nice setting,clean hotel »

This was one of the better Best Westerns I have stayed in. The hotel was clean and the staff were helpful and polite. The grounds were well taken care of, and there many attractions nearby. I was there for a college tour in Northfield which was closer than I originally expected. The bathrooms were clean and updated and had automatic soap, shampoo and conditioner dispensers which was a plus. The only downside was the hotel had an odd smell to it and the beds weren't as comfortable as I would of hoped. All in all it was a pleasant experience and would stay there again.

    5
« Great place to stay »

This was my first experience with a Best Western Hotel and I am well pleased. Check in was easy and had the most friendly staff I have ever met. The room was large, clean and comfy. Most of the attractions we wanted to see were nearby

    5
« Clean, friendly, easy and convenient »

Arrived early and they checked me in. Room was clean and bigger than most high end hotels. The hotel had plenty of amenities and short walk to downtown Waterbury and close drive to Stowe. Hop, skip and a jump to Burlington (20 min drive).

    5
    « Great hotel »

This best western is the best run and nicest best western I have ever been two.The rooms were very clean, the pool was a good size, and the employees made every effort to make us feel comfortable.Whats often overlooked is the beautiful view, grounds, and covered bridge that are great for just lounging around.Overall this hotel is worth a stay.

    5
    « Wonderful Experience »

We had a 2nd floor suite that was very large, comfy and quiet. The pool area was lovely. The food at the in-house Bluff Hill Bistro was of very high quality (dinner) and the prices were reasonable. We were expecting a continental breakfast, but there were hot items to choose as well (eggs, waffles) - again the food was excellent! The hotel is close to Stowe and there is a grocery store/drug store right around the corner. We will be going back!

« Motorycle Trip with Spouse »

We stayed at this hotel while travelling in Vermont and stayed at a BW as comparison before and after this stop. We were able to check in early and got a fab deal with a gov't discount which saved us $60 off a night. Front desk was serving freshly baked cookies and they offered a discount at the in house restaurant that night. They also offer a bike wash station including towels to dry your bike! The room was ground floor and easily accessible. It did smell slightly musty but we were able to leave window open during stay. The hotel used Keurig machines in room and offered Green Mountain coffee as well as many others. We walked around the property and on top on amazing views, it offered a games/tv room and lots of outdoor lounging/relaxing space surrounded by trees/nature. We had a meal at the in house rest. and it was delicious although we did have couple food issues. We were excited to see the free breakfast buffet which offered anything you could want and lots of space to sit. The only downfall I could say is that it is located up a very steep hill with then a very steep driveway. It was hard to get up to it and I can't imagine what it would be like in the winter. I wish all BW were like this as the Saranac Lake one for the same price was not the same level of quality and service (different state though).

    4
    « Nice hotel »

This hotel is great for families, with a big pool, very nice playground out back, pretty covered bridge out back, game room, great location, fridge in room, good breakfast. We would stay again. The only downside was the beds seemed a little small and old. The beds were a bit soft and made a squeak sound when you rolled over, which was annoying. It wouldn't deter us from staying again because we enjoyed everything else about the hotel.

« Great, clean place to stay »

We stayed here this past weekend for one night. We were greeted immediately by the front desk and check in went smoothly. The hotel was recently renovated so the rooms were very nice. The air temperature was also great and seemed to be working appropriately. The hotel included breakfast which had a variety of options (bread, cereal, fruit, juice, coffee, waffles, oatmeal). The breakfast was served in their restaurant/pub which seemed to have been skipped during the renovation. It was a little bit old looking, but it served it's purpose. A lot of people could fit in that room during breakfast time. The workers were constantly refilling and restocking whatever was running out. Nothing ever emptied out. It was a great place to stay, but I felt it was a little overpriced for a Best Western. It might have been a popular weekend and that's what caused it to be as much as it was.

    5
« Great stay. Outstanding employees. »

I recently stayed at this property while in a 3 day business trip to the area. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. It was very clean, quiet, beautiful setting and the employees went out of their way to accommodate you and make you feel at home. I'll certainly stay here again.

    5
    « PLEASANT STAY »

A nice hotel, with a good restaurant and I particularly appreciate the hotel having a bar. After a long drive to the hotel I don't want to drive again looking for food so I like a hotel with a restaurant. The hotel is very convenient for Stowe or Burlington.

    4
« Great stay in a convenient location »

Easily accessible from the interstate and very close to Ben & Jerry's and other Waterbury-Stowe attractions, the hotel was convenient for a one-night stay in Vermont. From check-in to breakfast, the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious (albeit a bit dusty) with a clean bathroom that included shampoo/conditioner/body wash in eco-friendly shower dispensers. The hotel also included amenities such as an indoor pool and hot tub, a fitness center, a lounge area and self-serve hot beverages in the lobby. The hot and cold breakfast was decent quality, but could have included a larger variety of items.

    3
    « Decent »

Arrived late. Room had a terrible smell. It was too late to change accommodations. Location was ok. Nice grounds etc. We left windows open and used coffee grounds to masked odor. It wasn't the worst place we stayed in during our many trips. The staff was nice.

    5
    « More than expected! »

We had a great stay here! The room was clean and well-stocked, and the staff was friendly. What made this hotel really stand out for us were the extras: lovely grounds with a brook and a covered bridge, ping pong table and a game room, TV lounge with a fireplace, clean indoor pool, nice included breakfast, and a breathtaking view. Close to Stowe, and about a 25-min. drive to Burlington.

    4
    « Very clean »

Receptionist was friendly and explained the amenities etc., but we had a really short stay so had no time to check out the pool. Our room was spacious and very clean, there was an ironing board in the room and a washing machine on our floor. Breakfast was a bit weird as there was no attendant in sight and the hotel was full, plus the breakfast area was not exactly pretty. They had a waffle maker though. Would stay here again.

    5
« Best Western Plus of Waterbury VT »

Overnight stay in Waterbury/Stowe with a nice room, friendly staff and close to everything I wanted to see with my family. Convenient to local restaurants and stores as well as local attractions such as Ben & Jerry's, Green Mountain Coffee, Cabot Cheese and local maple outlets. Easy access to everything. Hotel has a nice pool, hot tub, game room and exercise facility. Morning breakfast was complimentary and had a good selection of whatever you were in the mood for. Had dinner in the restaurant and found it nice with good wait staff and delicious food. Had no complaints and will stay there again when I am in the area.

    5
« Very clean and comfortable »

We were pleasantly greeted upon arrival and there was a plate of cookies available at the front desk. Very clean room with a fridge that I didn't even ask for! The breakfast buffet was varied enough but simple.

    4
    « Great breakfast & pool! »

This was our third visit to this hotel in 10 years & it was just as great as it was on our previous visits! Great waffles at breakfast. Wonderful covered pool. Convenient bistro & bar on site. Very friendly & helpful staff, even with computer issues slowing down check-in on a busy summer weekend. We will return again!

« Great Stay at Best Western Waterbury-Stowe »

This is my favorite hotel to stay at when I am in the general Waterbury-Stowe-Burlington Vermont area. Granted there are many hotels to choose from. However, I always maintain "why argue with success". If you are looking for a good price, friendly staff, clean rooms, good amenities, and easy access to area sites-this is the place. I am looking for a reason to return.

The hotel had beautiful grounds with a covered bridge. It was centrally located to restaurants and grocery store. The staff were very helpful. They have a motorcycle wash area. This hotel is taken care of by people who care about their visitors

    « Bested my expectations! »

This is by far, the best Best Western I've stayed at. The facilities were great, and the room was spacious. we were delighted by the hot tub and large pool, as well as the amenities, including the in-room Keurig machine. I would come back again with my family.

« Wonderful stay at a very good Value! »

Having stayed at this hotel many times back in the mid 1980's while working for a skiing travel agency I was aware of this hotel. More recently returning to the Stowe area at various seasons to enjoy the mountains and staying in Stowe Village at several Inns which can be hit or miss, on this return trip from Canada I wanted a predicable, quality stay without the negative surprises. Best Western in Waterbury provide a welcome, comfortable, very clean an up-dated night's stay at a very reasonable price and a terrific location relative to sights and restaurants in the area.

« Best Best Western ever! »

We will forever be indebted to Best Western for their kindness and excellent treatment of our family on our vacation. We were on our way home from a two week trip through Maine, up into Canada and back down through VT. Somewhere on the way my husband picked up a nasty stomach virus that leveled our entire family. Both our kids got it when we were in VT and this lovely Best Western brought us extra towels, trash bags and in general made life as bearable as possible, given the situation. When we finally limped out the door, they allowed us a late check out and were more than kind about the whole miserable affair. A special shout out to their cleaning staff who went beyond the call of duty. Aside from the virus, the hotel felt very homey (warm cookies at check in), clean and extraordinarily nice for a BW. Thank you again for helping out family feel cared for in a miserable time!!!

    « Great hotel »

The room was clean and roomy and they offer a wonderful free breakfast! Eggs, waffles, bagels, fresh oatmeal, pancakes, etc. wonderful breakfast. The front desk was accommodating and the location is close to Stowe, Ben and Jerry's and lots of shopping. Take note that the mini fridge is n a cabinet. Took us a day to notice it. The view of the mountains are beautiful too

« Perfect spot for the night! »

We only had a 1 night stay here but, it was great! Our room was really large, had a nice view and lovely furnishings but, the star here was the staff. We had a problem with the self service laundry and the staff went above and beyond to help us out. They were very quick to help and so friendly too. It was spotlessly clean and well located. We would love to return!

    « Always a great consistent stay. »

This facility is impeccable....always well staffed......and constantly upgrading rooms and amenities. Very accommodating in last minute reservations. Plenty of parking and easy on off I-89 and very close to historic Waterbury as well as tourist points of interest.

« The PLUS is in the extras, not the room »

The room was fine -- as expected for a double. The beds were really comfy and my son loved the roll-away (which was expertly maneuvered and set up, not just dropped off like in most places.) But the best parts were the pool and the game room. My 7-year-old loved learning ping pong (free) and playing air hockey (50 cents.) The library/reading area downstairs by the pool was also really nice and if we had more time, we also would have used the playground out back behind the pool. The set-up wasn't ideal with the elevator only on one far end of the verrrry long hallway and there was no vending on any floor (except for the ground floor where the pool is, but no guest rooms are.) Included breakfast was really good, much better than most free breakfasts. Eggs seemed fresh and not powdered. bacon had an actual bacon texture and waffles were great. Coffee was even nice and strong! Restaurant staff went above and beyond. View of mountains was really pretty, too.

    « Clean and quiet »

2 nights here while visiting the Stowe area. Great location close to food service. Clean & friendly staff. Good typical breakfast with gluten free options. Very helpful staff. Clean & well kept. Definitely can recommend staying here and for a good price.

    « Average experience »

A very average hotel experience. Room was very clean but room and furnishings felt dated. Bathroom in my room was recently redone and was very nice. Breakfast was disappointing; hot breakfast items were not hot and there was no attendant to report this to.

    5
    « Very Clean - Good Breakfast »

This hotel was extremely clean, bed comfortable and an excellent breakfast was offered in the morning. I liked that they offered something other than sausage. The breakfast area was large, very clean and well maintained. There was plenty of seating room. All in all a very nice hotel, close to everything.

« Year After Year, Best Western PLUS Waterbury keeps delivering BEST STAY »

From the folks at the front desk, to the housekeeping staff, BW Waterbury is a fantastic place to stay. We've been coming back for FIVE straight years -- after picking my son up in NH from camp. The staff is always welcoming, the indoor pool is a sweet bonus -- rain or shine!

« Great setting and beautiful hotel »

We arrived about 6:00pm on a Friday. We were told there were two rooms left, a suite and a regular room. Both were expensive! We were traveling with friends and we were trying to decide if we really wanted to stay, as people were lining up behind us. There was a tournament in town and all the hotels were full. We decided to stay because we were tired and didn't want to drive on. We took the suite. It was beautiful! It had a bar with fridge and microwave. There was a table and chairs and a living area with big screen tv. There was a separate bedroom with a king size bed and separate bath with a jacuzzi. It was clean and the bed was comfy. We have never rented a room like this before and we enjoyed every minute of it. The staff was great and, the breakfast was good with a wide selection.

    4
    « Great Service »

Great location and Service. Only problem was air conditioning fan rattling on and off during the night. Didn't report due to late arrival and express check out. I'm sure the hotel would have offered us a different room.

« Mostly good except rude breakfast employee »

The room was great, the grounds were great, the location is great, and most of the staff is great. The one problem we had was watching how the breakfast buffet monitor interacted with guests. She was down right rude and out of place in how she spoke to some of the guests. I would go into specifics but it happened everyday to different guests that I am sure the hotel is aware of her attitude...hopefully they didn't train her to be this way. While it seems a little trivial - one employee - it can start your day out on a bad note.

    « Hidden gem »

I cringed when I heard the words Best Western but this was an extremely clean hotel. Keurig coffee available 24/7. Hot breakfast and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Nestled right off the highway. Clean area and 7 minutes from the Ben & Jerry factory. I'd definitely stay again.

    5
    « Tournament weekend »

Though prices seem to be a bit high, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in VT. The staff was pleasant and our room was kept very nice. The pool enclosure was like a sauna on a hot summer day, but we were able to sit outside and enjoy a nice setting.

    5
    « what a surprise! »

Great landscaping, amazing location, super clean hotel. I was also surprised at the patio at the other end of the indoor pool, complete with good-quality lounge chairs and a great view of the surrounding mountains. Will be back for sure.

    « Good stay »

Friendly and helpful staff ! Room comfortable but small arm chair and desk chair. Bath vanity small but nicely done. Bed comfortable. Close to downtown and area places to visit. Beakfast adequate - eggs sausage waffles cereal yogurt. Refrig and coffee maker in room.

    « Very nice hotel! »

This is a very nice hotel right next to a bunch of great dining option in Downtown Waterbury. There are beautiful views right from the hotel. They also have a nice fitness area and pool area. Also spent some time in the outdoor relaxing area near the pool during the day and at night. The staff are so amazing and will go out of there way to help and make you feel comfortable.

    4
« Perfect for the occasion »

We recently travelled through Vermont, and stayed at the BW, in Waterbury. It is an older hotel, clean, and the staff were all very friendly. My kids enjoyed the pool, as well as the game room. We were not looking for luxury, just a nice place to stay the night, and this was great for us!

    5
    « Best Western Plus Waterbury-Stowe VT »

Amazing place. Clean and comfortable. The staff have no issues going above and beyond to assist you. The amenities were great. They have an "activity room" with books, games, puzzles, bigger big screen tv and ample number of sofas and chairs. OH!! The game room with air hockey and ping pong. It was a fabulous hotel experience.

    5
    « Very good hotel »

Only stayed one night but very pleased with our stay. Room and bathroom were clean and spacious. Internet was good. My partner used the gym and was impressed. Breakfast is just ok, nothing to write home about but is included in the price.

    5
    « Excellent hotel »

I love everything about this hotel! Located close to I-89 the view from the spacious parking lot is fabulous. Our room was spotless and the king bed was very comfortable. Nice flat panel TV in the room but we hardly watched any because we spent most of the time either in the pool/spa or enjoying sitting outside to take in the surrounding nature. Nice Keurig coffee machine in the room with Green Mountain K-Cups included and there is also a large K-Cup machine in the main entrance. Look for the plate of cookies at the front desk in the evening! If you are in the mood for some ice cream Ben and Jerry's is just a few steps away.

    4
« Great view and grounds! »

The view was the first impression! Beautiful! Front desk person was very professional and welcoming. Our room had a great view of the mountains and was very clean. There was some sticky drip spots on the carpet. I left a message for the room attendant who was able to clean it up no problem. She even thanked me for letting her know and apologized for it. We had dinner in the onsite restaurant which was very good! The breakfast buffet was average and included scrambled eggs, sausage OR bacon (one morning was bacon and the next was sausage), english muffins, yogurt (only strawberry was offered), coffee, juices and a belgian waffle maker. We opted for express check out upon check in. Our invoice was under our door when we woke up on day of check out. Very easy. I would definitely stay here again and as a travel agent, will definitely be booking this property for our clients at AAA.

    5
    « Great mid-range hotel! »

I booked this hotel through a blind booking site. We were pleasantly surprised with the condition of the hotel and grounds! The room seemed newly renovated, especially the bathroom. Bedding was fresh - no bedspreads. Check in was quick and the front desk was very helpful and efficient. We didn't try the on site restaurant or pool on this trip, but both looked nice. The grounds were nicely kept with several outdoor sitting areas and even a covered bridge on site! Cute hotel!

    5
    « Nice place »

We chose this hotel late in the evening and based on reviews/price. it turned out to be quite nice, well located and maintained. We enjoyed the huge free breakfast that included self-made waffles, sausage, eggs, etc. Was very quiet for us. Staff helped us locate a good hike/map the next morning.

    3
« Not that great, but few options in the area »

The hotel rooms and common area were not bad but this place is overpriced due to the limited options around this area. The hotel staff was pretty disorganized when wedding groups showed up for check in and none of the rooms were ready for our group. The hotel seems understaffed for being at almost 100% capacity. The hotel lounge closed without notice whenever they choose to despite having posted hours. Again, that hotel is not bad but felt like a $100 or less hotel and not the nearly double that price it cost. With a slightly lower price point and better organized staff this place would have been better.

    « Nice hotel, a little pricy »

Our room was nice and clean, with comfortable beds. The hotel facilities (pool, fitness room, etc.) looked clean and well-maintained, but we didn't use them. The great-room was a nice touch that gives the hotel some character. We were a little disappointed with the selection at breakfast, and the layout of the buffet made it hard to navigate - there were lines to get into the breakfast room because of the buffet layout. Plus, not all the food was visible from the main buffet, which you would only know if you walked all the way to the back of the restaurant. I found the price higher than I expected when all I wanted was a clean, basic hotel - especially in summer, when Stowe has fewer tourists. I would have expected a lower price. Overall, the hotel met our needs and it was a pleasant experience.

    4
« Closest big hotel to Waterbury »

Rooms don't have the best noise insulation, but the hotel is good overall. There is breakfast included, but it is a self serve and lacking choices. I did not get to try the restaurant in the evening, but they did seem to have Heady Topper and other local beers.

    5
« The Heart of it All »

This Best Western is the place to stay if you are staying in the Waterbury area. The hotel is very clean and the grounds are also well kept and maintained. The pool is also very nice for families. There are many attractions within a few minutes of the hotel and it's between Burlington and Montpelier. I highly recommend this hotel for its value, cleanliness and proximity to tourist attractions in the area.

    5
    « Great Mountin Viewi »

We rented two rooms for our trip. We had three sisters and two husbands. The three Sisters stayed in the same room that was a two queen Suite. The two Husbands stayed in a two Queen room. The Sisters room was a Beautiful Suite that a great tub and a separate resting area. It was the best room we had in the 14 day's we were gone. The hotel had a great area to shop and sided trips like Ben & Jerry's Ice cream factory. We also visited the Trap Family Resort on the top of the mountain in Stove. I defiantly would recommend this Hotel if you were in this area. We only were there one day we wish we could have spent another day. The complementary breakfast was very good.

    « Hockey weekend »

This hotel met our expectations and was very clean. The hotel room was spacious and beds were comfortable. The bathroom was new and updated. The air conditioning was perfect and controlled in room. Keurig Coffee and maker in the room was an added bonus with K-kups available at front desk complimentary. There is a Shaw's supermarket close by and Ben and Jerry's is also a short drive/walking distance.

Very nice clean hotel, friendly staff. Would definitely stay there again & recommend the Best Western Plus in Waterbury, VT. Hotel is located in the beautiful Green Mountains. Breakfast was included with a variety of food. Delicious banana bread. Our room was comfortable & quiet.

    « Nice Place »

This place is fairly new and really nice. Pool, Bar, Breakfast! The room was good. I would have liked better pillows but everything else was awesome! Great location. I highly recommend this place. Whelp, they wont let me post because I haven't said enough. So, They could have better ventilation in the bathroom. Didn't take long to steam up but took forever to unsteam.

« Wish we could have stayed longer! »

What a gem! We fly into Boston and drove to Waterbury, VT to stay over night before heading to Montreal. The hotel was perfect - great rooms, a game room and the best swimming pool of any hotel I have stayed in. I could actually swim laps! I would highly recommend staying here if you are in Waterbury.

« Some hiccups, but overall good experience »

We had some issues with room cleanliness after our first day. We were told they were short handed on staff. The Check in clerk was a jerk with no personality, but the rest of the staff was super nice, helpful & friendly. The full breakfast was free & very good as a nice compliment to the room. The grounds are beautiful. Clean pool. Beds super comfortable.

    « Consistently Good »

Not the best but definitely not the worst. Best Western is consistently good for commuter stays and small business trips. There are small items that could be improved like the internet speeds, cleanliness of the pool, and more variety for breakfast. However, none of these items are deal breakers or reasons to stay somewhere else. The room was good and the staff were always friendly and professional. I will continue to stay with Best Western but improvements to the aforementioned items would make the experience more satisfying.

« Wonderful family and business hotel »

The Best Western PLUS Waterbury-Stowe Vermont hotel is one of the better hotels for a business and family friendly budget stay in the Waterbury Stowe area. Clean, well maintained, friendly staff. The pool area is always clean and there is even a play structure and big swings for the children. The breakfast is hot, well stocked and there is even Almond milk for those who need an alternative. And the coffee is good. Enough said.

We stayed here for three days, beautiful area. Friendly staff, and free breakfast, the usual for chain hotels but was very good. If you are planning a visit late in the year you may want to rethink about getting UP the driveway to hotel, very steep, if there is snow, doubt you could get up there. Great place.

    « "Friendly and Welcoming" »

From check-in to check-out, you can not ask any more comfort. On site restaurant was good too. Swimming pool was clean and neatly stocked with towels. All staff were friendly and kids loved their freshly baked cookies at front desk all the time. Hotel is just blocks away from Ben and Jerry's attraction. They have a Library Hall next to pool and gym, a place to enjoy relaxing evening with family. They even let us use the hall for dinner that we brought in from outside. Free Parking and free breakfast were added bonus to the trip.

    « Wonderful hotel »

Recently stayed at Best Western Plus in Waterbury Vermont with my best friend. We has a wonderful time and the hotel was super clean and comfortable. It was well lit and safe. We had breakfast there both mornings and it was great. A large selection of breakfast items. Had one dinner at the hotel as well. Although the dinner menu is not overly large, the items offered are very tasty and high quality. I had an amazing steak and my friend had a panini. We enjoyed everything. The room was so clean and beds super comfortable. The bathroom was great and the shower superb! I raved about Waterbury and the hotel so much when I got home so much that my husband now wants to go! So i will be reserving a roomat the Best Western plus for this fall.

Service was tops, everything else was too. True value for the money. Upon arrival wi-fi did not work and tv got no signal. After several trips to the front desk; Nancy, the hostess, upgraded our room and eased the tension. The breakfast was good which was also a plus. We had such a good time and were so happy with the accommodations that we stayed an extra night.

I am so glad that we stayed at this hotel during our vacation! Our room was spacious, clean, and the beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I loved that we got coupons for local businesses with our room key (including Ben and Jerry's), and we used quite a few of them. There were many choices for breakfast. I would highly recommend this hotel!

    « A Great 1-Night Stopover »

We stayed at this hotel on our trip through the New England states. We absolutely loved this hotel! The room we had was recently updated with brand new tile in the bathrooms as well as furniture in the room itself. They have a restaurant on site, but we did not eat here ? looks like they had a good selection of food to choose from. The hotel is right off the highway which makes traveling to area attractions very easy ? it's also about a mile away from downtown Waterbury in one direction, and about half a mile south of Ben & Jerry's Factory! You really can't go wrong with this location in regards to Waterbury, although it is a bit of a trek to downtown Stowe. Other amenities include an indoor pool, hot tub, and game room. The breakfast in the morning was superb to most hotels and was a great start to the morning, not to mention the cookies upon check in!

gentleman at reception desk was extremely helpful since I made the reservation for the wrong date. He was able to accommodate us with a very nice room. Bed was comfortable which is what is needed after a day of driving and shopping. Had dinner at The Bistro and it was excellent. It is right in the hotel. Breakfast was typical buffet breakfast but good and plenty of it. Check out the curio cabinet in hallway. It has products available for Red Cross. We purchased two teddy bears for $20. Hotel is close to everything, Ben and Jerry's, green mtn coffee and Cabot cheese.

We have chosen this hotel among others in this area because of nice looking indoor pool. But we could not use it because pool water was cold comparing to pools in other hotels. It's like we stayed in hotel without pool paying for hotel with indoor pool. Days we stayed: 05/22/2016 - 5/28/2016

Our stay was enjoyable from start to finish. Staff have positive attitude and are engaged in helping guests with every detail of their stay. A special thanks to Matt at the front desk who helped us with details of our reservation. And to Stephanie in the dining area who took a moment to check on how were were doing. Reasonable rates, comfortable room. Quiet. Families that were there were well received an treated well. Highly recommend.

    « Very nice »

The place is undergoing some renovation but it did not distract from out stay at all. This was our second visit here and if it was not good we'd not have come back. After a day of travelling we did not want to go out to a restaurant so we had inner here. It was very good, better than going to a typical chain rest. Breakfast fare was typical of any hotel, but they used real plates, not disposable stuff. It was a nice touch. The rest rooms off the lobby were clean and elegant. Anthony M from Hotel Impossible would have been impressed.

« Impromptu Vermont trip wows! »

When my fiancé and I suffered a pretty devastating loss of a trip to Iceland due to an egregious error by Expedia.com we were left scrambling to make use of our already planned vacation time. We decided on a last minute driving trip from Boston to Montreal via the beer geek's region of Vermont. We booked the Queen Size medium tier room on Thursday, April 7, 2016, for that evening, drove from Boston to a brewery (Hill Farmstead, about an hour away) and then back on the road towards Waterbury, VT. When we checked in, we asked about getting to Prohibition Pig and the front desk clerk, Matt, was very helpful. After talking with him a bit he noticed that our booked room was next to ongoing construction at the hotel and moved us to the upgraded King Size suite for no additional cost to avoid any disturbances. After dealing with hours of horrible customer service via Expedia.com's call center earlier in the day and the previous night trying to find some rectification over our lost Iceland trip (they never forwarded our plane booking to the airline despite several confirmatory e-mails to us); Matt's treatment of us was a dream come true and really brightened up our evening. The room was INCREDIBLE. I don't want to sound like a snob, but typically when I think of Best Western rooms I think "It's a comfortable place to sleep" and nothing more. This suite was three full sized rooms: a living room with two armchairs, a gas fireplace, tv and adjoining small kitchen and dining area; a MASSIVE bathroom with a whirlpool Jacuzzi and walk-in, double headed shower; and a bedroom with king bed and television. I've travelled a lot and stayed at very nice resorts and hotels, but this was legitimately one of the nice hotel suites I've had the pleasure of staying in. The hotel is on a (steep) hill with a very nice view of the mountains. It is also about one mile from Waterbury's downtown area. My fiancé were able to walk to and from the Prohibition Pig pretty easily, though it is a bit of a hike back up the hill and fairly dark. The next morning we were able to head to a local store about a ten minute drive away and await the Alchemist's Heady Topper truck and scored a case and a half with a bonus 4-pack of Lawson's Finest Liquids' Sip O' Sunshine. We'd have grabbed more but with a looming border crossing we didn't want to have too much booze in the car. The breakfast was pretty standard continental style chain-hotel fare. Scrambled eggs, sausage patties, cereal, fresh fruit, some mini-muffins, yogurt packs, and juice. Nothing spectacular but nothing to detract from the hotel. All in all, this was a gem of a find when searching online for local accommodations. I can't thank Matt and the rest of the staff enough for their service; the quality, comfort, and cleanliness of the room; and the location to Waterbury. If you're looking for a place near Stowe for ski-season or looking to be in the heart of VT beer country I would highly encourage you to stay here! I actually jokingly noted to my fiancé another review I'd read online that referred to this as "The best Best Western," but I am fully in support of that description!

« A beautiful hotel, location, and room! »

The location was perfect! There's a grocery store right across the street, the Ben and Jerry's factory three minutes down the road, and plenty of restaurants in close distance. The hotel is located up a little hill, and from the parking lot is breathtaking views of the mountains. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was delicious and had great variety (for a complimentary breakfast); hot eggs and sausage, in addition with a waffle maker. The room was the best part; we booked a suite and it was well worth it. A beautiful separate living area, a gorgeous bathroom with a separate hot-tub-esque bath tub. Everything was sparkling clean. The king side bed was extremely comfy, and came perfectly equipped with six fluffy pillows. There were two very nice TVs in our room, which we took full advantage of. We actually had a mountain view from our suite, which was an added bonus. Very spacious suite. The indoor pool was good-sized, and fresh towels were constantly available, in addition to poolside drink services. The game room was perfect sized, and ping pong was free (we took full advantage of this). There was a little business station which allowed me to freely print out some homework that I should've completed before my little getaway, super convenient. All of the staff members were very friendly and accommodating. Coffee is offered complimentary all throughout the day, which was a huge bonus, in my coffee-addict opinion. Overall, this was one of the best hotel experiences we have ever enjoyed, and we would 100% recommend this exact location, as well as the chain of Best Western Plus, to our friends and family. We're already thinking of our next trip back here!

    « Semi-annual Beercation »

Been coming up to this hotel for the past three years, twice a year, on beer runs. NIce hotel in area, about 1/4 mile from downtown Waterbury. Good rooms, quiet, like having a fridge in the room, free breakfast with eggs, waffles, bacon or sausage, juices, breads, etc. Staff stays out of your way unless you need them. Keep coming back here, must be doing something right.

    « Always a dependable comfortable hotel »

The Best Western in Waterbury feels like our home away from home. We come several times a year to visit our daughter who lives nearby. The staff is always friendly and helpful and the room is always clean. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are quiet. There is a great pool, hot tub and fitness center and lounge with a fireplace. The morning breakfast is always delicious and filling. Every staff member you pass in the hallway always speaks to you. We have spent Christmas and Easter at your hotel and have always enjoyed our experience. Would highly recommend this hotel!

« Clean updated rooms, nice breakfast included »

needed a 1 night stay on my way through waterbury. The room was nice and clean with updated bathroom. Continental breakfast was included and was adequate. fresh baked chocolate cookies at night were nice when I checked in. Room was a little noisy as walls seem very thin.

    « Great hotel »

The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We stay here often and have never been disappointed. Great location with easy access to the highway and skiing. The central great room with fireplace is an added bonus for watching sports events on the big-screen TV.

« Great location with lots of amenities »

Stayed here to go to a wedding in Stowe and was pleased with the hotel. There's a nice indoor pool and game room as well as a large common room and a fitness center. The Blush Hill Bistro is a convenient addition to the hotel with nice cocktails and tasty food. I also enjoyed the hotel's breakfast. There was a nice selection of scrambled eggs, toast , fruit, and decent coffee. The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay.

« Located in Ski Central »

Picked this hotel without ever being in VT before. Was not disappointed. The hotel was clean, the staff friendly, and the location was perfect for our ski trip. It is centrally located to many of Vermont's premier ski resorts which gave us the ability to hit them all in our long weekend trip - 25 minutes to Stowe Mtn, 30 minutes to Sugarbush and Mad River Glen, plus within an hour to many others like Killington and Okemo. Gave it only 4 stars because the walls are a bit thin and we could easily hear our neighbors and hall walkers. However, people were generally courteous past 11pm.

    « A happy accident. »

My husband and I first stayed at the Waterbury Best Western over 3 years ago. We were on our way from Montreal to Connecticut for Thanksgiving and got caught out in a terrible snow storm. I exited the highway (I couldn't even read the exit sign and had no idea what town we were in, the weather was so bad) and pulled into a gas station. In my rear view mirror I saw the Best Western's lights glowing on a hill top across the road - to my great relief they had a vacancy. That night it wouldn't have mattered at all to us what the place was like, we just wanted shelter. But It was such a delightful surprise and we have since gone back many times, including once for a weekend getaway with friends for my birthday. The staff is GREAT - friendly, considerate, helpful. My husband thinks their breakfast is amazing. The town is really lovely to spend time in, good restaurants and bars and local attractions. Its close to Stowe, and to Burlington. It has a surprisingly nice pool and gym. The rooms are generous and clean - not high design of course, but functional and very well maintained. The only reason we do not stay here more frequently is that in the summer we tend to travel with our dog when going for weekend out of the city. They don't have any pet friendly rooms so we stay in Burlington or on North Hero instead. But I understand that this is purely a personal preference on our part and that not every place wants the potential trouble of adding dogs to the mix so it doesn't detract from my affection for this hotel. We'll be going back soon!

    « Never stay elsewhere »

During the past three years in my current position, I travel all over the state for various meetings and events. When I am on the Eastern Part of the state I only stay at this Best Western. Every aspect of the property is what a traveler looks for when chosen an hotel. The only thing that I would like to change is the hours for the dinning room. However, without a need the cost is prohibitive to do so. I would strongly suggest you try it

    « Great »

We came up for a ski trip we stayed 2 nights hotel was great for skiing on a budget . It was very Clean nicer then some ski lodges I have been in. It also has a pool and hot tub exercise room and very good continental breakfast. 1/2 hour to sugar bush and Stowe. 1 hour to smuggs and 1 1/2 hour to Jay

    « Restaurant fantastic! »

We went to their restaurant for dinner. The staff was very accomodating and we had an amazing dinner. Our free breakfast was beyond our expectations. The normal food but real maple syrup, freshly cut oranges and banana bread without nuts. Very friendly staff. Downsides...had to ask for room with view of Vermont mountains, no extractor fan in bathroom, air conditioning extremely noisy.

    5
    « A+ Would stay again »

What can I say, we needed a room and got something better. We were rode weary and had a nice burst of energy when we got to play ping-pong and air hockey. I wish we had time to enjoy a swim. The sitting room was nice to sit and read in too.

    4
    « good ski trip »

the best part of the overnight stay was the closeness to ski resorts and attractions. very clean hotel and good pool and hot tub, fitness area. the hotel restuarant offered higher quality of food that would have been expected for a hotel chain

    « Don't go on a Sunday »

Filthy pool and hot tub. They close the Bistro Sunday night. These were two of the three features that prompted us to choose the room. The third was the jacuzzi. This was ok. But it was an older one located in the bathroom. All in all, a very disappointing stay.

    5
    « Exceeded our expectations »

Almost every Best Western (not PLUS) that we have stayed in over the years was nowhere near our first choice. We grew to expect and room that either smelled of chlorine, dead cigarettes, or insecticide. This room smelled wonderful. Usually several things ever worked without having to call for service. Everything in this room worked fine. Furniture and bathroom were in great condition and clean. Usually free breakfast was stale and had a minimal selection. Breakfast here was as good as any restaurant. We now only look for Best Western PLUS hotels; I hope they are all as good.

    4
    « Comfortable & Clean »

Spent the weekend at this Best Western with a large group of skiers. The place was clean and comfortable, the staff friendly. The bed was nice and firm, which made for a good night's rest. Breakfast was help yourself, with a variety of continental fare, plus eggs and a waffle machine. I'd go back.

« Very good location and quality lodging »

The hotel is very close to Stowe, VT Resort with an easy access from the Highway I09. It provides a very good lodging to many type of visitors: skiers bicyclists, family outings honeymooners etc..The hotel offers very good full breakfast, swimming pool and fitness facility

« Review of Best Western in Waterbury »

We came and skied for several days with several other family members and found this Best Western was great. After a hard day of skiing we would relax in the hot tub. The continental breakfast was generous and delicious. I was very impressed with how quiet it was - couldn't hear any thing from the hall or through the walls. There was a game/TV room and the fitness center and pool were spectacular!!

« You will not be disappointed »

This hotel will make you feel like your home. The staff will go out of their way to ensure that you have everything you need during your stay. The housekeeping staff keep the room and common area's spotless. Dining is fantastic, hours are a little lacking but, the food and atmosphere is amazing.

    « ski stay »

Nicest ecomony hotel I have every stayed at. Lots of nice touches like artwork and local hand made soap. Easy in and out with a full bar. Fitness center was very nicely equipped. Rooms were updated and comfotable.

« Great place to unwind after enjoying the beautiful outdoors! »

Easy access off of 89 right in the middle of my favorite skiing and hiking. The Blush Hill hill bistro was perfect to re-energize after a long day out it the cold. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and well prepared with generous portion sizes for the price. A great value! I'll definitely be heading back more frequently on my trips through town.

« Exceptional hotel, but avoid restaurant »

The hotel was fantastic, however, the bar/lounge restaurant was overpriced and sub par! Avoid the restaurant! Staff members are friendly, rooms are clean, and the location is convenient. The handicapped rooms were very comfortable- only complaint for the hotel- I would have preferred firmer pillows.

    4
« Pretty Nice for a Best Western »

You probably wouldn't expect much from a Best Western, but this is pretty nice. No complaints about cleanliness. I think you're really paying for location - about a 10-minute walk to great bars and restaurants. The property is nice, with outdoor space. The pool and fitness club is obviously nice to have too. I've been here twice, and would return.

    3
« just OK but including breakfast »

I stayed one Friday night with my son last week. We were skiing at Sugarbush Saturday and wanted to be close to the mountain. The room was ok but the beds way too soft for my taste. The soda machine did not work properly, kept taking too much money or not giving back change. The pool was ok too but the whirlpool was not working ( no bubbles !!! ) ....staff was friendly. I liked their morning breakfast, fresh waffles, eggs, sausages included in the price. so I would say an overall '' OK '' nothing fancy.

« Enjoy Waterbury and Stowe, VT »

Great place to launch to enjoy this beautiful part of the USA. Convenient off the interstate and close to Ben & Jerrys factory and shops plus a short drive to Stowe. Best part is that you can have Cider Donuts a short 4 mile drive away. It has beautiful views in the fall when the trees are changing.

    « very pleased »

comfortable, clean, friendly, good food (try dinner at the cafe). extremely helpful and accommodating staff. Beds are very comfortable, bathroom big enough, pool looked great ( did not have a swim suit). Nice looking family lounge with hearth, tv, games, comfy couches. Nice hotel entry. excellent location if you want to ski at Stowe or down in the Valley at Sugarbush. - only 20 minutes away. great restaurants right downtown in Waterbury, and perfectly good food right on site at the hotel if you just want to relax without heading out. Very pleased with our stay at the Best Western Plus.

    « Weekend trip »

Convenient location off the highway. Easy drive to downtown Stowe or to the Stowe mountain. Kids had fun in the pool and game room. Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay again.

« Nice Hotel and value »

Great hotel at a very reasonable price. Breakfast complete with many options. Very convenient and close to a plaza with grocery store and fastmart also. Quiet area with all the accessories you would ever need including hardware and gas station.

    « A Place in the Woods »

The two weeks in the woods of Vermont were very beautiful even without the snow on Christmas Day. Matt was excellent as always and was the cookie oversee and alternative weatherman. The front desk staff was very kind and very polite and helpful. The room service personnel were very helpful and friendly. Could not choose a better place to stay for the access to the beauty of Vermont.

    5
« Quality at a reasonable cost and a nice area to stay in. »

Stowe is not an inexpensive place to vacation to, Not unexpectedly the costs go up significantly as you get closer to the slopes. Waterbury is 30 minutes or less to the slopes the town has some excellent restaurants, we ate at the Prohibition Pig and Maxies. This hotel was excellent, the rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. The breakfast was filling and actually tasty all in all. It was certainly good enough that you would not have to go to a diner to eat. The staff was extremely professional and the cost as compared to STOWE is reasonable. I definitely would come back here again.

    5
    « Always Great »

As always , the staff and well kept condition of this Hotel has made our ski trip absolutely great. Great Beer selection and descent food is available in the bar / restaurant. You can easily tell that the hotel management and staff work really hard to make their guests happy.

« Great hotel Perfect location »

My husband and I came up on New Year's Eve and stayed a few days to do some snowboarding and to relax. Couldn't have been happier with our stay at this hotel. The location is perfect. It was about 30 minutes to everywhere we wanted to go, which included Stowe, Burlington, Montpelier, and Sugarbush. The town of Waterbury also has some great restaurants and bars which are located about 5 minutes down the road from the hotel. The hotel bar/restaurant is also great. It has a great menu and the girls working behind the bar were so sweet and helpful! The staff at the desk made our check in so easy and were also helpful with any questions we had. I would highly recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, friendliness, and location. And for the price...you can't go wrong!

    4
« Good Option to Expense of Stowe Properties »

Although about 10 miles from Stowe, Waterbury, where this property is located is a good option. The price is reasonable, breakfast is included and the WiFi works well and is free. There may be a few restaurants in the surrounding area but not especially convenient. You can have dinner in the hotel. In bad weather, it could be next to impossible to get in and out of the hotel, as it's located on a very steep access road.

    4
« Obviously an excellent place in skiing season »

We went there mostly to check out what it would be like to stay there during the winter. We were very satisfied. Quiet and very comfy place. On a top of a hill. Nice view of the neighborhood. Nice pool. Place has been renovated recentl. Rooms are very clean and good beds. Very good breakfast in the morning. Reasonnable prices. The day you leave drive east on US 100 for a few miles to the Cabot Cheese Factory.

« NIce hotel clean spacious no problems »

    « Great Bargian »

This hotel has great staff, the rooms are wonderful, great little pub, the best free breakfast around, and the spa is amazing! The location is great, as Waterbury has a cute little downtown, we were close to burlington which is awesome, and close to E. Montpelier where our family resides. We will definitely be staying here again!

    « Great Experience »

Hotel was very accommodation. Rooms were comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. The hotel staff were very nice and welcoming. One of the staff offered to open my door when I was carrying hot coffee in both hands! The hotel location is great as it is down the hill from my sister-in-laws house. It allows us to get away and still be close to the family!

    « Fabulous Suite - Great Stay »

I recently stayed at this hotel for the weekend while visiting friends in Stowe. I had a gorgeous suite with fireplace and jaccuzzi which was spacious and immaculate! Super comfortable bed and amazing pillows. The hotel staff was extremely professional, attentive and helpful with questions and all of the areas of the hotel that I visited were spotless. I was very impressed with this Best Western and would highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in the Waterbury or Stowe area!

    « Professional and caring. »

Thank you Nicole, we had a great stay. You greeted us with great attention to details and we appreciate. Madeleine being 89, you were patient, smiling and helping with all the special requests. The site is a nice walking distance to village shops and restaurants. Quiet rooms and easy to get to from highway 89.

    « Wonderful Stay »

Rooms were excellent and clean. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. It was very close to Ben and Jerry's and Cabot Cheese Factory. We will definitely return.. They paid special attention to extra needs which we appreciated. We ate in the restaurant and the food was very good. The breakfast had many items to choose from and the staff kept things supplied well.

« Good hotel, nicely spoted »

We decided to stay at this hotel because we wanted to be in the middle of Burlington and Montpelier. The Hotel is nicely spoted just off the 89 and a short 3 minute drive from many good restaurant including Prohibtion Pig and the Bluestone. The hotel is clean but show some sign of age, walls look to be paper thin. Our room was facing the parking and we could here clean and loud every comer conversation. The staff was helpful and polite. We didn't enjoy the breakfast that much the coffee was particularly bad. The restaurant decor is plan ugly or retro whatever you want to call it but they do carry Heady Topper On a super positive note wifi was fast enough for me to stream from my media server without any glitch, a first for me in any hotel. A sign at the front office says they are going through renovation maybe it will address a few of those issues.

    « Fabulous! »

I can't say enough about the hotel and staff! Everything was wonderful from the time we checked in, until the time we left. The rooms and lobby were spotless. A staff member in the Bistro went out of her way to make us feel welcome (and you know who you are!). I will definitely stay at this Best Western on my trips to Vermont.

    « A Delightful Getaway »

This is a lovely property, centrally located for activities in the Waterbury, Stowe area. We arrived at 1:45, and they were able to take care of our reservation. Many hotels do not allow check in until after 2pm, so for us this was perfect, as we were on our way to a wine tasting that afternoon. The hotel itself had a nice indoor pool with jacuzzi, and a well equipped fitness center. The town of Waterbury has some excellent restaurants so we did not eat in the hotel, but heard good things about their on-site restaurant. The hotel is fairly well located for skiing in either Stowe or Sugarbush ski areas. I will be back later this season to stay for a ski weekend.

Beautiful suite with jacuzzi tub and fireplace. Clean and spacious. Lots of things to keep you busy such as a pool and a game room. The grounds are great for picture taking due to the covered bridge on site. Will stay here again for our yearly trip to Burlington.

« Loved it, hope to return! »

Stayed here with a friend while doing some leaf peeping during the fall season. The hotel is situated away from the road so there is no traffic or noise. They only had one clerk at the desk, for check in, so there was a bit of a wait. The hotel interior, the exterior grounds, and our room was very, very clean. This was probably one of the cleanest hotels I have ever been in. The room was on the ground floor, and very quiet. We ate at the hotel restaurant that evening, and the food was great and well priced. Breakfast the next morning was included in the stay. It included plenty of hot food, cereal, pastries, fruit, etc. There is an area with a covered bridge behind the hotel. It is a great little area to also take a picnic lunch, or walk through the area. I would highly recommend this Best Western, and hope to stay here in the future when I pass through Stowe. The price is extremely reasonable for the location and what they offer the guests.

    « lovely lobby »

Comfortable rooms, lovely lobby with fire glowing. Food excellent but restaurant far too small for size of hotel. We booked for 7.30 dinner and another 4 people came in just after us but were told it would be at least an hour for a table, but for some reason the table next to us remained empty for the rest of the evening, which was rather odd.

« All the comforts of home.... »

I have never stayed at a Best Western before and I was unsure of what to expect for the accommodations. I am now on oxygen and this was my first trip dealing with my illness. When booking online I had requested a first floor room. The room was just a few feet from the lobby and this served me very well considering my limitations with walking long distances. I was pleasantly surprised when I entered my room. I had a nice dining area/sitting area with a fireplace and a separate bedroom with a glorious king-size bed. The spacious bathroom was a pleasant surprise too. The rooms were very clean and had all the comforts of home. It was snowing the second night there and having the fireplace made the room feel much more cozy and comfortable. I will definitely stay here again!!

« The breakfast was dreadful. »

Stayed here as part of an escorted tour of New England, and very good location for exploring Vermont. The food in the restaurant was quite good, however the breakfasts were apalling and the staff very rude at times.

    « Above and Beyond »

Recently stayed at Best Western to enjoy the fall foilage. It was unseasonably warm during my October stay, so the foilage was not as distinct. My family and I stay at Waterbury Stowe Best Western, though was absolutely amazing, the rooms, excersise area, bathrooms and grounds were immaculately clean. The staff was excellent caring people and they were very knowledgable about the local area and if they didn't they went above and beyond to help in every possible way. I recommend this hotel with two thumbs up

    « One night »

The room was. Lean, although a bit dated. Onsite restaurant is NOT open on Sunday's and Monday's (one reason we chose this place). Breakfast was eggs, bacon, and toast. Adequate, not wonderful, but suffucient!

this was an exceptional place to stay. best bang for the buck. not what we were expecting at all. much better. people were very friendly. the room we had was actually a suite. « Poor »

Came with a group tour from England and this was by far the worst hotel we stayed in. Wether it was because we were a group but our breakfast was served separately and the food and particularly the service was a disgrace. We were treated like unruly school kids which we definitely were not. The restaurant at night was poorly lit and the service was slow. Several of the party sent food back due to being cold or uncooked. One person had room service and refused to pay as the food was uneatable. The rooms were clean and acceptable and up to the required standard. This hotel needs to put its customers first and learn what real service is.

« New England Fall Road Trip - Vermont »

This hotel is wonderful for a family trip to Vermont. The hotel is located very close to Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream which makes it perfect for all of the family. The staff is very friendly and makes the overall atmosphere very welcoming. I would highly recommend this hotel.

    « Best Western »

Hotel was very clean and nicely decorated. The price was a little high which I assume had to do with the fall foliage season. I would definitely stay at this hotel again if the pricing were a bit lower. The staff was wonderful.

    « Comfortable, welcoming hotel »

We stayed here with a large group who were all attending a local barn wedding. My room was very clean, spacious and well appointed, with comfortable beds. It had a nicely sized bathroom and very good water pressure! The fridge was in a cupboard so was not noisy. The wifi was excellent. Staff were attentive and friendly. I loved the all day coffee in the lobby and the K cups available to take to the room. The breakfast was very nice, and included eggs and bacon. We did not eat lunch or dinner in the restaurant but enjoyed the truffled mac and cheese at the local Prohibition Pig. There are no restaurants within a very short walking distance of this hotel (and the driveway is steep) but the town centre of Waterbury is just under a mile and Stowe is about a 15-20 minute drive. The only thing I didn't like was the lack of a safe in the room. We used the desk service of a safety deposit box but they did not seem overly familiar with the the procedure. Overall the hotel was very accommodating for our large group- we had lots of fun!
