    « Mixed Experience »

Stayed for two nights Sunday & Monday very reasonable price £100 for 2 nights for wife and I. Room small but well appointed, nice staff, good location, noisy in the morning as works were taking place and someone was scraping wallpaper at 8 AM, banging on walls began at 10AM.....Can imagine some being hysterical about that, fairly standard 3 star.

    « Mums Birthday Treat ! »

Booked the 'dancing through the decades' party night for our mums birthday on Sat 19th Nov, via Spa Breaks. Spa Breaks were themselves superb, the communication from booking to attending was brilliant. I have life threatening allergies and they made sure they linked in direct with the hotel and reported back to me to ensure my meal and treatments were all nut and fish free. The hotel itself then called personally several times to check treatments/concerns and and were more than happy to advise on alternative menu to ensure I ate and was part of the party night. All allergies were noted not only on the hotel systems but when I got there when I made myself known everyone I spoke with was aware which gave me a great deal of comfort and instilled confidence in me so I could enjoy the food and the night. I was able to relax and enjoy my mum birthday as was she. Everyone from the minute we arrived were friendly and professional, nothing too much trouble from the ladies on reception, gents running the bar (for bucket and ice). We had booked treatments and were all so impressed with the fantastic and relaxing back, shoulder and neck massages and my mum got a facial and was glowing ! (we all nearly fell asleep they were so relaxing) Superb and relaxing treatments by lovely friendly ladies. During the evening we were looked after by Andy who rolled off my menu and allergies and ensured I was served first to save any confusion/contamination, he looked after not only me very well but was funny, friendly and looked after our Mum and made her feel special. The DJ was great played the requests my mum asked for and played her the first record wishing her Happy Birthday, which we danced to and then never sat down all night ! good music ! The whole experience went without a hiccup and was so enjoyable and relaxing we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Thanks so much to all for making our Mums Birthday a really special occasion and thanks for looking after my special needs - couldn't fault it !

    « Worst hotel »

This must be the worst hotel i have ever stayed in bath keeps getting blocked been to complain but they keep getting someone to fix the problem but never does wont give us another room worst experance of my life

    « 19 wedding anniversary »

we stayed for one night (friday fizz) what a great hotel we were told on booking there would be a wedding all was ok with it not a problem reception staff was excellent on booking in room was up graded free of charge what a great room (42) very clean and nice and warm wine in the room as arranged very nice we booked 7pm dinner food was fantastic the waitress was excellent just one very drunk and vocal lady towards the staff member and customers apart from that excellent service we had a nice drink in the bar after are meal kids were running about all over the hotel from the wedding party but was no problem to us excellent evening . breakfast food was very fresh and big choice staff were very nice and no problems on check out great night away for a couple or family I highly recommend this hotel as we have booked are renewing of are wedding vows next year and look forward to staying again with all are family .just like to say thank you to jane for excellent service in the restaurant see you all soon regards billy and carol

« Executive room - not an executive nights sleep »

Booked a double Executive Room for £78 .Attended a wedding at 12pm, had to pay extra £10 to check into room to get changed before 2pm which was fine although I'd have ideally liked to have known in advance - maybe mention it to me when making the booking? There was no alcohol free/low alcohol beer on offer so the manager kindly bought some in. This was a great gesture, although I was then charged £3.95 for a bottle of Becks Blue which makes it by far the most expensive bottle of Becks Blue I've ever had in the UK by far (£3.95 - seriously guys?? That's nearly £8 per pint). I don't mind paying a bit more at a hotel but I don't like being ripped off. The executive room only had 1 thin pillow each and a thin duvet on what was a cold November night. I've had much better sleeping facilities at other Best Western hotels around the country. The TV didn't work in the room and the mp3 docking station came on full blast 3 times during the middle of the night without anything plugged into it (the 3rd occasion it was even plugged out of the wall) - I was on the verge of throwing it out of the window! No beans, hash browns or black pudding at breakfast despite being given a specific time slot of 11.30am. Despite this the receptionist was really friendly on arrival and the room used for the wedding was excellent. Bride and groom very happy with the day - so can't ask for more than that. 3 stars

    « Afternoon Tea »

I went with a friend for afternoon tea at The Fir Grove. Absolutely first class. Food varied and excellent. Service and friendliness of staff also excellent. The parts of the hotel to which I had access were spotlessly clean. Would highly recommend.

« Great buisness meeting venue - and rooms to suit »

Stayed here, again, for a business conference. The facilities are perfect for this type of stay. The rooms were pretty good and everything was clean and worked. The hotel has undergone a series up updates and the quality for a business hotel is very high. like many other reviews before mine, I would choose a different hotel for a romantic break

    « Fine for business...not for pleasure »

1st impressions...outside and reception are nice. Fairly modern. Plenty of parking. Free WiFi which seemed to work fine. Rooms. Fine. Bit dated but Comfortable and clean. Beds nice and comfy. Environmental policy on saving of room service if you don't need your room cleaning etc. If you opt for this you get a free drink at the bar. This is good practice as I was well equipped with enough towels for the few days I was there and I'm more than capable of making my own bed :) Staff very friendly. I asked for an ironing board one night and it was at my door in minutes. Always very polite. Now for the negatives! Corridors are cluttered with furniture (not good especially on fire escape routes). It is also like walking down a 70s time warp....horrendous decor! The hotel is also going through a refurbishment at the moment and the rooms opposite mine were being done at the time I was staying. I have to say that didn't bother me as they didn't start work until 8am and were finished by 4pm and as I was out all day it never bothered me. The builders were also very polite. I was more disappointed that the hotel never mentioned once that work was being done at the time especially as it affected half the rooms on my corridor! It did make the corridor quite dusty too (Although this may have improved the decor somewhat!) Showers - 1st morning i had No hot water and zero water pressure! This was apparently due to an issue with the boiler (according to reception) however I soon figured it was just peak time use (7.30am Tuesday morning) as come 8.30 just as I was leaving I tried it again and it was fine. Note; unless you like a freezing cold and non pressured shower...make sure you get up early and have one prior to 7.30am! Breakfast....abismal. by far my biggest groan! Very poor choice and quantity of the limited choice is very small. I went down one morning and didn't bother going again. I begrudge asking for poached eggs as opposed to fried or scrambled (on the buffet neither of which I can eat) and then being charged an additional £4.50 for the privilege....not good. No cereal apart from granola. No asking of allergies....very very poor. Ate dinner one night. That was marginally better but service was so slow... Hotel was fine for business use however if I was paying for this out of my own pocket I would have been very very disappointed!

    « Decent stay »

I probably would stay here again. I didn't attempt an evening meal in the restaurant so opted for room service which was fine. The room that I stayed in was a good size, which is all I can say about it. I could barely access the internet as there was little access to wifi in the rooms and could get a mobile phone signal either. Breakfast was tasty

« Great Service and Value »

Nice quiet hotel with ample parking close to Warrington. Friendly capable staff and a good breakfast too. Rooms are small but are to a good standard.Great value for money with efficient check in and check out,

    « Correct but dated »

We booked a night at this hotel with an offer found on Holidaypirates. We have paid £59 instead £138 including breakfast and a bottle of wine. We have been disappointed by the bad insolation as we could hear our neighbours.. The hotel is OK for a night but dated.

« It's fine, but family room above the function suite???? »

Lets start with the good: friendly staff, clean, inoffensive. It is not a new hotel but you get what you pay for except......... Bad: why on earth would you put the family rooms above the function suite. It's Saturday, 10.30pm kids are still awake as the music thuds from down stair. It's not the wedding parties fault, it's surely not our fault....what were you thinking Hallmark hotel. You should have sold these rooms to the wedding party not to people who distinctly want a nights rest with two kids under 5. Common sense is galactical lost, I think an interstellar search is required for the hotel's common sense. Please someone send out a search party..........

« Like staying on a building site »

This dated, drab hotel is undergoing much needed maintenance. However, this work started at 7.40am with banging, drilling, and hammering literally shaking the room making it impossible to sleep or work. Terrible experience, can't believe the management sanction such work whilst guests are present.

    « Spot on »

First time of staying here and not disappointed. Greater with a nice big car park with plenty of spare spaces. Warm and inviting hotel matched by very friendly staff. Room was rather dark for this day and age but ever so cozy; very comfy bed as well. Thanks for an enjoyable stay.

    « First class stay »

Had an amazing stay at the firgrove hotel, the staff are amazing! John the general manager was very welcoming & made our stay very comfortable, also rachel in the restaurant & reneta & lee on reception really went out of their way to give us an enjoyable stay, would highly recommend to anyone to stay here! We ate in the restaurant which was lovely and spent the rest of our evening in the bar, it's a lovely hotel with very comfortable bedrooms. Thank you for a great stay guys!

    « Weekend away »

Stayed here for one night we where going into Stockton Heath for a night out, it is in a great location if you want a night there. The hotel is very nice, clean and the staff are very accommodating, our room was very nice, comfy bed. Breakfast was very nice plenty of choice and again staff where very pleasant. There is just one thing we where woken up at 7am this morning obviously the last people thought this would be funny as It was full blast, not funny at 7am, so I think it would be a good idea if domestic staff maybe checked the alarms, apart from that which was nobody's fault a great stay. Will defiantly stay again and recommend.

    « Avoid if possible »

Positive: Nice staff, relatively clean and no bugs. Negative: Breakfast, bed, room. This is a old building that should better be demolished and replaced with something more functional. The roof is actually caving in on a couple of places.

« Very good hotel . Helful Staff »

This is a very convenient hotel for business Hotel staff was very helful , and prompt I have asked at check in for an electric heater . Immediately i had it in my room . For breakfast , again service and food was very good Good priced hotel , I would highy recommend it For sure I will use it again every time I have the occasion

    « unimpressed »

leisure stay good breakfast but dated Hotel in need of a good spruce up to bring it up to expected standards. Rooms are like little boxes the price paid was relatively expensive compared to other hotels we have stayed in over the past year and I would have thought that it was time to give it some TLC. Decor furniture and fixture and fittings need sorting.

    « Pleasant enough »

This hotel is within the restricted travel pricing guide we have at work, and we stay on average every other month. The rooms are spotlessly clean, and I appreciate the pleasant bar area, alongside the fact that you can get a(albeit rather pricey) a bottle of real ale, rather than merely the chemical keg on offer on tap. Breakfast is absolutely nothing special, merely on a par with other such venues the length and breadth of the country. Service is more than adequate. To summarise, this hotel is fine for overnight stays on business. I would not, however, choose to stay privately.

    « Friendly but dated »

Stayed for business recently. Hotel is friendly but decor is bit dated in both the public areas and in the bedroom areas. Breakfast has good selection and the staff are very attentive. Hotel is generally quiet and there is minimal road noise. Will use again.

    « Wedding »

The Bride and I, would like to pass on our sincerest thanks for a brilliant wedding. All of the staff were fantastic, And we cannot thank you enough, all of our guests have commented on how great the staff are, nothing was too much trouble. The venue was beautiful, the rooms were well presented and the food was out of this world, the chef's are something special. Special mentions to Jack, Emily, Paul the DJ and especially John, for feeding me tic tacs and making presentable for the wedding!!! Could not recommend this as a venue more. If your thinking of getting married here do not hesitate, they made our day so special. Big thanks, Mike and Lou

« Wedding plus one night stay »

Attended the Best Western Fir Grove Hotel for a family wedding, the wedding venue was good the food and service was excellent. Although, the room was slightly dated and could do with a refurbishment to modernise.

    « Wonderful hotel »

Absolutely loved staying here, it was an incredibly relaxing and a wonderful environment, thr louge was comfortabld and tasteful. The staff were polite and friendly and the rooms were lovely and spacious. Great value for money and couldn't recommend enough.

« Good 3 Star Hotel with excellent customer service »

We stayed here for a wedding. This is a good 3 Star Hotel and what makes it stand out is the quality of the customer service. The rooms are modest but clean, good bathrooms and fine. The public areas are quite small but they make the best of the space and ensure that there are new magazines everywhere. Waiting staff were friendly and very helpful. The wedding reception at the Hotel was very impressive, great logistics, good food, good service and everything unhassled. A really good 3 star.

« Stop over before wedding »

Usual last minute booking for us!! Mrs found this one, friends got married on Friday 19/8/16 ( congratulations to Julie and Nick!!) And she did good!! As it was a morning wedding, we decided to drive up on the Thurs before to ensure we didn't have traffic trouble on the way to stop us getting to the wedding. We arrived about 18.30, big car park out front and easy check in after a 3 hour drive. Room on the ground floor, we were given a choice but thought the ground floor might be a bit cooler. Room was fine for our needs for just the one night, double with ensuite, tv and hairdryer, sorted! Bar was good although no draft bitter, competent young fella looked after us and subsequently took our food order. As the weather was so nice we decided to eat outside in the courtyard. I had a burger and the good lady had two starters. No complaints on the food, nicely presented and did the job with the desserts being very good too! Couple more drinks then off to bed. Breakfast in the morning was lovely, buffet style with freshly cooked bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs, beans, toast to order, pastries, cereals, fresh fruit - everything you'd expect really with fresh tea and coffee on request - except no earl grey tea!! Easy check out, would definitely stay again.

« Alright not worth the price though »

We stayed for one night arriving late so can only comment on what we saw. The room was pretty standard hotel but brown which made it a bit drab. It was lovely and clean but the bathroom was small and a bit dated. Breakfast was a let down though considering it started at 8 am and we got there for 8.15 it was Luke warm and wasn't appetising at all. Not worth £99 for B&B.

    « Good stay »

Lots of car parking, reception area and bar area was very nice. Reception staff very friendly and free wifi which I was made aware has just been upgraded. Rooms very clean although dated and on the small side. Breakfast was fantastic and lots of choice. Overall a good stay.

    « Fantastic stay »

We were lucky enough to stay in one of the suites (room 45) & I'm so pleased we did. Gorgeous room with a bay window and 4 poster bed. The bathroom was huge with a large, deep corner bath and a big walk in shower. The room was spotless and although at the front of the hotel we were able to sleep with the windows open with little to no disruption from any outside noise. The room was light because of the big bay window. We ate in the hotel restaurant. We ordered x1 burger and x1 pizza. Nice food and the chips were super tasty. Breakfast the next morning was a continental breakfast and you could also order a cooked breakfast. There's a menu so you could have other things like eggs benedict but we opted for the traditional breakfast. Very generous portion. A couple rashers of bacon, x2 hash browns, x1 sausage, beans, black pudding, x2 eggs and mushrooms. Kept us going all day. Although we didn't have any fruit it was all completely fresh. Staff extremely friendly and welcoming and if we had needed anything further I am sure that they would have bent over backwards to help in any way they can. Large car park at the front of the hotel. Lovely, welcoming reception area. The only thing that was a negative was the bed was very squeaky (but comfortable) & the bar lounge area was a bit dark and not a particularly comfortable area to sit and relax in. Would recommend this hotel 110% to anyone looking to book it.

    « Motown magic »

Had a fantastic time at the motown magic evening. Room decorated lovely and food was excellent . We stayed over with friends so we could enjoy the evening the staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was to much trouble. We were welcomed by a lovely young man Lee on reception and welcomed by Emily Jack shorna Becca Jamie all the staff behind the scenes really enjoyed an excellent evening and comfortable room and lovely breakfast many thanks to all involved.

    « Helpful staff »

Clean room and extremely helpful check in staff who changed my room for me after i had a flood from the bathroom sink u-bend. The room was uncomfortably hot at night so will not stay again unless room is fitted with a/c or fan. The bathroom needs attention to detail, trim around the bath/shower had gaps and looked yellow. although clean it was not to the standard i would expect. i like B/Western and enjoy the rewards scheme but at 8pm after 10hrs driving i need a good nights sleep.

    « OK place for a night »

We have stayed here twice now and had the same room both times! There girl is fairly standard fare, nothing grand nothing dreadful. Breakfast was not as good this year as last. Plus side is easy parking and quiet even when wedding parties are raging. Cons: variable breakfast, dark rooms

    « One-night stay. »

Booked a double room was given a twin - moved with no problem but why did it happen in the first place? Double room was comfortable. Evening meal was good but breakfast a little disappointing with a buffet that had cold scrambled eggs.

    « Not Bad »

Stayed for 2 nights. Room was small but served its purpose, window opened a little no air conditioning or fan, so was really uncomfortable, this would probably put me off staying there again. Food was good and the staff were brilliant. Would have given a four if it wasn't for the lack of cooling.

    « Our wedding »

Wow, what a brilliant hotel! Our wedding was held here recently and we have lost count of how many of our guests thought it was such a fantastic day. There has been so much praise for the hotel. The staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us, they were all excellent at their jobs and made our day feel so personal. From those you see to those that are hidden behind the scenes, we'd like to thank you all for the hard work you put into our special day. In particular I must mention Jamie, who perfectly ran the day with humour, enthusiasm and care, (the cheer everybody gave you was well deserved)! He is an absolute credit to the place. The accommodation was lovely, very clean and spacious and the food was perfect, there was not much at all left over at the end! The chefs are clearly first rate. We are so glad we chose to have our wedding here, it could not have been a better day. Once again, thank you!

    « One- night stay »

We stayed in a twin-bed executive room, which had recently been refurbished and was very comfortable, with more than adequate space. The bathroom was fairly utilitarian, and the space between it and the loo was narrow, but not so as to be inconvenient. The meal that night was very acceptable (we were attending a function), and the breakfast ample with a good choice of hot and cold dishes. Staff were friendly and efficient, and overall it provided a good experience. The one downside was that the breakfast coffee was lamentably weak - a fact which we commented on when checking-out.

« Amazing staff and good bar food! »

The staff here are excellent: friendly, professional and understanding. On our first day we arrived to an efficient check-in procedure and good bar food (chicken curry, chicken and pancetta salad, posh fish finger sandwich) despite the hotel being busy with a wedding. Unfortunately, we had a problem with our first floor room as it was boiling hot and the window did not open to full capacity so it was impossible to circulate any cooler air. The fan provided did not really help. When we explained this problem in the morning, Renata not only moved us to a cooler, ground floor room but organised the removal and secure transference of all our belongings. She kept us informed via email. This is astonishingly good service but unfortunately, Renata had gone off duty before we had the opportunity to thank her for her rapid efficiency and professionalism. Breakfast was good, cold and hot buffet with eggs cooked to order preference. There has been a lot of investment in the public bar areas and terrace. The rooms do need a bit of attention next, hence my rating, but I understand you cannot do everything at once. For the future, I hope this hotel retains its brilliant staff and begins to refurbish the rooms. A lick of paint on the walls, changing the carpets and curtains and painting the furniture would make all the difference! Also a few air conditioning units for the hotter rooms would be very welcome ??

« Generally good all round hotel - a couple of disappointing visits »

Attended business meetings here; good venue in the main However, my last meeting there was in a room next to a wedding and we were asked by a member of staff to keep our meeting noise to a minimum as it was interfering with the wedding vows! later on after lunch, we couldn't hear ourselves in the meeting due to the loud music and guest noise from the wedding party. The business lunch was served in wicker baskets which was novel but the sandwiches were as thick as hardback books..cut in half not quarters and worst of all - veg and meat selections served n the same baskets. Having a large number of vegetarians in our party, most of the team went hungry on the first day. To be fair the feedback on the mixed food was taken on board on the second day, but we still received 'books' to eat. Bedrooms are great.

    « comfortable stay »

Large car park but very full on the night I stayed. The breakfast choice and quality was very good. The room was of a good size and everything worked as expected. the evening meal was very good reasonable choice and well presented.

« We were guests at a wedding which was lovely. Very slick, food was lovely »

Room was awful - room 46. It was barely bigger than a broom cupboard, with an unbelievable view of metal piping. The shower dripped constantly, and the water was scalding and really quite dangerous. Given that we were charged the same as everyone else this was really unacceptable. Had we not been at a wedding and didn't want to sour the atmosphere, I would have kicked up a real fuss and demanded another room.

    « So disappointed »

Booked two nights here to go to Tatton Park Flower Show. Our room was tiny, with barely a foot of space at the side of the bed. The decor in the room was totally without taste and oppressive and not too clean, apart from the bedding. The ensuite had mould on the bath behind the taps. Both nights we were subjected to a lot of noise as there were wedding receptions taking place. Breakfast was also pretty average. Decided to give the evening meals a miss as they seemed expensive. On the plus side, the staff were pleasant and polite. Not to be recommended!

    « Bit tired »

Stayed here for 2 nights as near my brother attending his wedding. Wedding not at hotel. It was a bit tired not how I remembered it from years ago. Rooms in need of upgrade room was so small only just had enough room each side of the bed. Bathroom tatty smell of wee. A lot of youngsters for staff some nice others obviously bored with their jobs. No eye contact or effort to engage just going through the motions. It almost felt like we were a nuisance just being there. They were good providing gluten free bread. Couple of staff need to smarten there appearance. Wouldn't stay again unless I had too it was in a convenient place for us. It wasn't awful just not a relaxing nice break away. Not sure which chain it is it says best Western group, feathers group, and hallmark hotels ???? Either way budget standard not price. Breakfast first morning in small dining area one bad mouldy apple in fruit rack attention to detail needed. Second morning was in big function room as they had had a wedding night before so obviously needed more room huge room not many in it very impersonal. Glad to get home. But just ok.

« Pleasant, good food, but bedrooms too warm »

We had a comfortable stay, the staff were helpful and the food was good. Our only complaint was that the bedrooms were too warm, and it wasn't possible to get more air. Oh, and the electronic keys kept on not working. But we enjoyed our stay.

    « Dissapointing »

What a shame. Was looking forward to a nice 5 night stay and was very dissapointed. Corridor to room smelled really badly of drains or something similar .A dirty pint glass on top of the wardrobe on arrival and still there 5 days later! Have been waiting to see if it got moved but it didnt.Tiny room and very cold. I notified reception and they said heating is switched off for the summer but they did provide a small plug in heater. Not ideal when there is no floor space near to plug socket. 1 plug socket not working. Decor tired. Dirty shower screen. Bedding and towels not changed all week. Award winning chef must be on holiday this week as evening meals were poor quality and basic. Breakfast also basic. On the plus side the staff were very friendly.

« Night away with my Mum »

I booked this on a Living Social deal for a night away with my Mum. The price we paid was very good for Prosecco on arrival, bed, breakfast, and evening meal. However, on arrival we were told they would just give us a drinks voucher and we could redeem for any drink, including the glass of Prosecco - this was not the case when we got to the bar that evening! Also, the food was quite poor...we were given a set menu to choose from. I chose the duck breast at £18:50, and Mum went for crispy salmon at £16:00. The 'breast' of duck was 2 x 2 inch pieces of duck, one of which was too chewy to swallow, and there was certainly no 'crispy' to the salmon. We also ordered a 'medley of vegetables' on the side at £3:25 which was 2 cauliflower florets and 3 carrots - bit limp and tasteless. I know it is always difficult to please everyone with food but this was really quite poor. Other diners were choosing from the Bar Menu which seemed to yield better portions and looked far more appetising. For what we paid we wouldn't complain, but if it's not feasible to produce a good meal for the price then adjust the deal given with Living Social... Breakfast was also just as disappointing, so we had toast and ate out later. On the plus side, the hotel was clean and the staff friendly. Beds were really comfortable and room was lovely and quiet. The position was good as just a few miles from Tatton Park, and around 30 minutes away from Port Sunlight which we really wanted to visit. Would visit again if the food improved.

    « 3 Star hotel 5 star Treatment »

We stayed here to celebrate our tenth wedding anniversary and enjoyed every aspect of the hotel. From arriving and throughout our stay, the staff were simply amazing. All staff were aware of our anniversary and congratulated us. A special table with stunning decorations was prepared for our evening meal. The food was absolutely amazing and we were given complimentary champagne and for dessert a special glass plateau arrived, with an in scripted chocolate message saying Happy Anniversary Mr & Mrs Sn*** with two desserts and this was decorated with strawberry hearts. We were upgraded to an executive suite and everything was just fabulous. Five star .treatment

    « one nite stay »

regular room, nothing special, but clean and cozy. didn't seem to be much in the general area, unless you had a car. onsite bar which stayed open late for us, check in/out was quick and easy. no breakfast which was a shame, ample parking, would use again.

    « Pleasant stay »

Friendly and helpful staff. They gave us a room on the ground floor as I have difficulty with steps. Comfortable beds, room okay. Loo didn't flush terribly well. No milk provided on tea tray on any of the 3 nights we stayed, but they were quick to provide once asked. No salt and pepper on dining tables either, rather curiously, but again they quickly provided. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

    « Sparkles »

Loved this hotel, has a lovely warm feel about it, the food is amazing the service is good the manager John & his team Natalie nothing is to much trouble, keep up the good work. Good place to have any celebration on company event

    « Terrible rooms »

Stayed for a wedding, the reception and restaurant are lovely but the rooms are terrible. Our room overlooked the car park and was hot and stuffy. Desperately needs redecorating and the shower was one of the worst I have ever used. Also visited several of my friends rooms in other parts of the hotel and they were all small and dated. Really bad value for money.

    « Made very special »

I had my 60th birthday party here for 140 guests. The hotel staff were very helpful from the word go. Helping with planning menus etc. On the day they could not do enough everything was set out beautifully. The food service and attentiveness of all the staff concerned was excellent. Breakfast the next day was also very good. One point was our room was very dusty i could write my name in the dust !!! However overall excellent would recommend for any function

« Acceptable hotel in a great location »

No complaints about this hotel, the service and décor were more than acceptable for the price. The location is excellent for access to M56, M62 and M6. local shopping amenities and the historical Grappenhall cobbled street village centre are all in walking distance.

« Nice, comfy, but not great food. »

Had a nice couple of nights in this hotel. A comfy and well furnished, if small, room. Attentive and friendly staff. Lovely little courtyard for sitting in the sun. The collection of sculpture is unusual and intriguing especially as there is no information on the pieces - only plaques saying don't climb or do climb at your own risk. I was disappointed with the restaurant. I would not recommend it for dinner, we got an acceptable meal. I got the impression they specialise in banquet catering. If I got that meal along with a hundred other simultaneous covers at a wedding i would have been satisifed but for a restaurant I expect more. Salmon was dry and over cooked, skin was more chewy than crispy. Broccoli was very over cooked. Not great. One attentive waiter and one very perfunctory. It is a fair way out of town to go and grab dinner but we did find the parr arms fairly close by for a lovely meal. I wouldn't recommend their breakfast either - They were out of beans for a cappuccino which for me [as someone doesn't really care what else there is for breakfast as long as there is a nice coffee] was a bit of a disaster. I did have a pastry which was ok - a bit soggy and some toast and butter - can't go wrong.

    « CLASS »

On arrival my room was automatically upgraded, check in was easy and straight forward. All staff encountered were friendly and courteous. The room was a good size and very clean. The Soup and Chunky Chips are to die for, the fish was ok, plenty of batter but little fish. Overall a gem of a find. Car parking is plentiful.

    « Hallmark Warrington »

Located a bit of a way out of the town centre, the décor is amazing outside and in. There are some amazing statues outside and lots to see inside as well. There is plenty of parking, the food I had in the restaurant was really good and as you would expect the staff were really good.

    « Can't wait to return »

We stopped for 2 nights whilst visiting family close by. The breakfasts were superb. All that should have been piping hot was and everything was well presented and fresh. I believe this to be one of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had. We ate in the restaurant on our second night. Service was first class and once again the meal looked and tasted delicious and you don't mind paying tadge more if all is great. The hotel room had all that was needed for our stay with a decent size bathroom and nice clean towels and linen. Granted the room was a tadge small but really you only sleep in your room so it was fine. We look forward to a return visit.

« Great wedding good staff and very organised »

I was master of ceremonies at a family wedding here and although the staff were young they were very professional and attentive. The food was excellent and very hot and the room was well presented The room we stayed in was small and the bathroom a little dated. Breakfast was busy and the staff did bring out lots of hot food but such was the demand then I suppose some people did get impatient. I also forgot my glasses which the house keeping thankfully retrieved for me so phew. I would recommend this location for a wedding and the location is excellent for the motorway and main road.

    « Dreadful »

We booked this hotel last minute mainly because of the location due to a sudden bereavement. We have stayed at Best Western Hotels in the past which have always been very good. Even though we did get some discount through the booking site we would still expect a certain standard. We checked in and proceeded to our room which was an extremely small double on the first floor (room number 19) in need of an update. The décor and furnishings were very tired and the net curtains needed to be laundered. I spoke to the receptionist who was very attentive and asked if we could move to another room but with regret the Hotel was fully booked and there were only three double rooms available all the same as the one that we were in. We had difficulty sleeping. The duvet cover was marked and the shower was just a trickle. This Hotel charges for breakfast £10.00 per head which should be included. We need to visit this area again next week for a few nights and will definitely not be staying there again. All the staff were very pleasant its just a shame the Hotel room didn't match the service. Worst Hotel that we have ever stayed in.

    « Perfect wedding venue »

I have just been to a wedding reception at this hotel. The food was exceptional and the vegetables were cooked to perfection. To top it all we had a dessert of 5 mini cakes on a plate decorated with the married couples name and date of the wedding piped in chocolate.A nice touch. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

    « Most enjoyable stay »

Enjoyed our stay in this excellent hotel wonderful staff, thank you Jamie for making our stay enjoyable, the food was amazing both breakfast and evening meal, would certainly stay with you again. thank you.

« Good value for money »

Clean and comfortable. Very good value for money. Very small bedroom otherwise would have given higher rating. Lack of fried eggs for breakfast was dissapointing. Servers could have walked around tables at breakfast offering more tea/ coffee etc.

« Pleasant Location Good Ffood »

Booked in for one night only on business. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Room was lovely and spacious with all expected amenities. Ate at the restaurant and the food was excellent. Portions are on the small side but allows you to sample two courses or three if you were really hungry. Wine usual hotel prices but very palatable. The only downside was that the room was very hot, even with the windows opened.

« Well Situated Mid Range Hotel »

I have stayed at this hotel many times and reviewed it several times but this my first stay since Feathers (the previous owners) merged with Hallmark. Under Feathers' management the hotel always had a touch quality about it - teddy bears sat on the edge of the bed to welcome you, a quality food offering behind the scenes often meant the front desk had petit fours to choose from at check in and the breakfasts were, more often than not, cooked to order and included choices beyond the basic English fryup. All of the above seems now to be gone as Hallmark more firmly targets the 3 star business traveller market. In this field the Fir Grove is still more accessible than it's rivals in Warrington, quieter and perfectly acceptable as far as service goes but I miss the little things that made the old Fir Grove a special experience.

    « Very friendly hotel »

Pleased to say hotel back to quality as was 12 months ago, hotel room clean, bed very comfy, at breakfast best food choice and quality for a long time, enjoyed cooked breakfast, evening meal in restaurant also improved with a little better choice although a little expensive for work costs, special occasion prices, would like a ' specials' board

    « One night stay »

Very clean smallish room got very warm. Bed really comfortable . Very quite . Didn't eat in house didn't like the menu. Went out to eat . Nothing to much for the staff . Lovely & clean Grounds lovely Bar well stocked Plenty of car spaces Could do with a spare sheet left in too just yo put over you if its too warm as too hot with quilt

    « One night stay »

We stayed here for one Saturday night when there was a very busy Wedding on (congratulations by the way). We booked a £99 suite that was roomy and had a very comfortable bed with a nice large TV with a good picture. If you do stay on a Wedding day try not to have this room as the Disco is quite audible until it stops around midnight. The bathroom however was a let down (room 44) with a leaking shower head, dirty bath panels on the outside, weak shower pressure, missing Hot & cold signs on the taps, only 1 toilet roll when we got there and whenever the toilet was flushed the pipes reverberated in the room for 2-3 minutes until the cistern was full. We did not eat there so we cannot comment on the food however £3.95 for a pint of Heineken does seem to be at the top of the price range. If we were to stay in Warrington again we would try somewhere different.

« Great value night away »

We stayed at the Great Western Fir Grove Warrington as we were visiting family who live locally. There was a wedding taking place and whilst it was busy the welcome we received was warm and prompt. Our room was spotless although the heating was on, which was not really needed as it was a hot day. The bed was really comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. We did not eat at the hotel so cant comment on the quality of the food but I would certainly stay there again.

    « DIRTY »

attended for Saturday evening, present meet on arrival had a bar snack and drink and a meal with drinks on the evening, no problem there but outside the rooms looked dirty the glass in the doors and the mirrors looked like they had not been cleaned but not properly for ages and in the small bar there was a stand which was made of Crome which had the draft beer pumps attached you could have wrote your name in the dust, on the Sunday morning we watched the cleaner cleaning the square glass on the doors and the square mirrors it looked as though she had been cleaning port holes on ship previously, shame really otherwise other things were ok

    « lovely hotel »

Located within easy access of the motorway in a pleasant suburb of warrington. clean well presented hotel. The receptionist could not have been more helpful and made us most welcome. The rooms were clean however our bedroom was very hot and due to being on the first floor we could not fully open the window. The food of a very good standard although maybe a little pricey for the portion sizes given. We were surprised that the mashed potato which came with our meal was small blobs of potato on one side of the plate which had to be scraped off to eat. Overall we had a great stay and would go back again.

« A Regular at the Fir Grove Hotel »

This is my favourite Best Western Hotel. I really like staying here especially when compared to some of the really expensive hotels in Warrington such as The Village. They are very friendly, the bar food is excellent and I just like the relaxed atmosphere. Good rooms, good food and a good nights sleep at a damn good rate - what more can you ask for.

« Thank you for the excellent service »

Great price for a clean and quiet room in a nice location. Professional, yet friendly, staff made the stay an absolute pleasure. Usual hotel buffet style breakfast served in the morning, but nothing to complain about. Would definitely come here again if in the area.

    « A nice stay »

I've really enjoy the stay. As a non native English speaker, I was shy at the beginning to get in touch with the staff. They've always been kind with me, helping me out. I'd like to pass to them all my wishes.

    « Could improve »

Positives: The hotel staff were lovely and helpful. The restaurant food was lovely but limited choice if you are veggie. The bed was super comfy and I slept well. Negatives: my first room was small and dusty. The carpet needed a proper vacuum and the TV didn't work properly. Simple things to resolve really. I complained and got a better room which was clean. The heater in my room didn't seem to work and made loud clunking noises in the night. Breakfast was disappointing: cooked breakfast items not great quality and the continental choice poor. The hotel needs an update and the rooms need better cleaners.

« Nice hotel, rooms good. »

Recently stayed here on business. Hotel really nice. The courtyard area in the middle really nice for a drink. Bar a bit pricy. Room was nice. Wallpaper in my room peeling off behind the door tho. WiFi signal patchy in places, could do with being boosted.

    « Superb Efficiency »

Dined here at a social function/presentation evening. Not sure how many were present but about 100 would be about right. Everyone's meal had been preordered. My starter of garlic mushrooms in cream Stilton sauce, accompanied with herb ciabatta was a meal in itself. Nevertheless. I persevered with my main course of pork loin with caramelised apples. This was a tender delight with the pork cooked to perfection and with delightful accompaniments such as green bean parcels in a bacon wrap. By now, already well satisfied, I tackled the dessert of sticky toffee pudding with butterscotch sauce. Normally, this dessert is a "killer" and leaves one unable to do much other than contemplate a nap. This dessert was exceptional with a light texture, plenty of toffee taste and just the right amount of sauce. The presentation of each plate was superb and added to the pleasure. Everyone on my table commented on the high level of service from the staff. They ensured that every table was served quickly, and that no one was waiting overlong before we could all "tuck in". Whilst the purpose of the evening was to meet friends and present awards, this Best Western ensured that we had a terrific and memorable evening. 10/10

    « Diamond wedding celebration »

On Friday 1st April friends and family attended my parents diamond wedding anniversary. The staff could not do enough for us. Service and the food were excellent. The room was beautifully furnished as were the tables. I would highly recommend this hotel for a function. Well done to all concerned.

« Grand reception, rubbish rooms »

On entering the hotel it is all grand and pretty beautiful. Check in easy and quick. Rooms...seen bigger garages. Was really disappointed. View was broken benches in what looked like an alleyway......

    « Great best western »

You don't always know what you're going to get with a Best Western - well this one is great. Super friendly and helpful staff, well maintained and decorated. Restaurant food was lovely and having two starters instead of a main was no problem. I did get lost going back to my room but that was me not the place!

    « Nice hotel but »

Stayed over for 1night in February really nice hotel my son had his wedding here 3 years ago and they did us proud ,we only had a bar meal here which was nice but pricey then we planned to have a few drinks in the bar,but it was absolutely freezing cold and after asking if there was anywhere warmer we were told you are in it,we weren't the only ones who commented about the cold anyway the bar soon emptied. So the only option was to go up to our room ,on the way we saw the manager and commented to him but he was not really interested. shame Breakfast was very good

    « Great Place for a Function »

My family stayed at the Hotel last week as we were guests at my Nieces wedding. The hotel doesn't look as good outside as it does in. It's a bit like a tardis, the staff and facilities were excellent and friendly. Rooms great, breakfast choice amazing. The food and service at the wedding was excellent. I would recommend for future functions definitely.

  • 4

Stayed one overnight, booked an executive room. Clean and tidy, not huge but really happy with room, had TV, radio docking station and tea and coffee facilities. Free parking, God breakfast selection. Staff so friendly and keen to help. Would not hesitate to rebook or recommend this hotel

    « excellent hotel »

Hotel was lovely, lots of parking, lovely restaurant, delicious food and beautiful decor. There was a wedding there when we stayed. The bride groom and guests were lovely. The room was soundproofed and away from the diisco area so heard nothing :-) The rooms are quite small and the bathroom would benefit from a refit/ restyle. Maybe a shower room.... The extra room gained from the bathroom could be added to the bedroom.

    « One night stay »

Not a bad little hotel if you're there for a few days. Room was well presented, even though it was very small and minimalistic. Food wasn't to bad and reasonably priced as well. Portions could have been a bit bigger but apart from that really nice. If I had to stay in the Warrington area I would stay there again.

    « 80th Birthday party »

My wife & daughter planned my surprise party at this hotel. It was brilliant! A great afternoon tea party - plenty to eat & drink, easy parking and 'can do' attitude from all the staff involved. A total success - I can't wait to be 90! Thanks to all staff from Tom!

« Excellent little over night stay »

Just booked this last minute for a little get away for my husbands birthday! Lee was helpful and accommodating to me on the call, sent me all info for the restaurants and wine list! Lovely room upgrade, all we needed!! Room great Food fab staff lovely thank you!!!

    « Fantastic Staff »

We recently visited the Fir Grove as a couples get away. Although the room was lovely - it was small. But for one night it was no problem. We ate in the restaurant and the food was amazing. We did however have to send one of the main courses back as it was overlooked. (When it returned it was perfect) This was dealt with in a very professional manner by Shaunna who was working that night. She was friendly welcoming and helpful throughout and managed the situation tremendously. Would defiantly recommend

« Regular visitor on business »

Absolutely great Hotel, quietly secluded in Warrington. I have been staying here on a almost weekly basis for business purposes with many of my colleagues, for quite some time now. Great reception every time I arrive with the ever pleasant Renatta & Emily who now greets us by name and makes us feel totally at home. The restaurant team of Jane and Rachel provide us with excellent service and great advice on the menu which is changed on a fairly regular basis, to keep your interest going. Cannot speak highly enough about the hotel and the staff who make it a home from home for us... well done guys ! Danny McLaughlin ( Lakesmere ltd)

    « Stay before meeting »

Overall the hotel was quiet. The room was cold and took some time to warm up. Selecting to have bar snacks we had to wait 20 minutes for the waiter to turn up. The food selected was ok. The hotel is one of the more modern versions of Best Western it was isolated having looked around there was little other options to dine. Will have to consider if i stay here again.

    « always helpfull »

I stay at the hotel every 2 weeks, and its always a pleasure to stay here. I would like to say a special thanks to Renarter, Jane, Emily, and all the staff. the food is to a very good and high standard, the rooms are very comfortable, and a big thanks to Mark for fixing the door (not hotel fault) Etc, a great place to stay, always look forward to staying here very friendly and professional.

    « Overpriced Rooms »

I had one overnight stay at the Fir Grove in a double bedroom. The hotel is pleasant and nicely decorated, they seem to promote weddings and conferences so the decor suits this type of arrangement. Upstairs to the bedroom I was immediately surprised at how small the room was. The double bed was squeezed in with no room to walk down each side of the bed, it was a very tight squeeze. I felt very cramped and there was very limited space in the room overall. Having paid £89 for room only I did feel like this was a very over priced room. The bathroom was modern and clean and to a good standard.

    « Good Average Hotel »

Staff really friendly, hotel clean, everything you need for for a pleasant stay. However bedroom was small, too small for 2 people but as we were only there for one night we let it go, other than that I would have gone downstairs and asked to be moved. Also felt price was too much with no breakfast included which we had to pay extra for. Breakfast was good, hot and good quality. This hotel is better that a Premier Inn in all ways as for me Premier Inns are overpriced faceless places to stay.

    « Value for money »

Clean hotel friendly attentive staff. Excellent value for what I paid for B&B. The information regarding breakfast items could be more accommodating. Taxis to town charge a premium when booked at reception. I booked a taxi in town in the early hours to return to hotel and it was 30% cheaper than the one booked at reception to go to town in the afternoon.

« Great service, great hotel, great team!! »

We stayed at the Fir grove hotel on the 15th January 2016. I had booked the room for an overnight stay with my partner for my birthday! On arriving at the hotel we had been upgraded to the bridal suite which was amazing (especially as we had got married there in 2007 so this was a real treat!). The staff were very friendly, the hotel was lovely and the food was amazing! I can highly recommend the sticky toffee apple pie - amazing! Thank you Best Western for making my birthday extra memorable! Will definitely be coming back again!

    « Ok »

It was ok for the price - got it on special offer. I would not pay the full price as the Premier Inn's are much better in all areas. The bed was very uncomfortable and the breakfast was poor. The staff were excellent though. Unless it is on special offer again, I will most probably not be staying again, next time I will stay at a Premier Inn.

« Great Staff, Adequate facilities »

We stayed here to visit an elderly relative who lives locally. The hotel staff were more than happy for us to take him into the bar for a drink, and for a meal on a previous visit. I find the reception and bar staff very friendly, helpful and efficient. I would recommend this hotel if you are visiting the Warrington area. I will certainly use it again soon.

« Qwerky hotel in a good way »

I'm sure Best Western have improved over the years, this place is a good example, interesting furniture, please tell friendly staff, and excellent food. Rooms clean and tidy. Only negatives wifi a bit week in my room and very hot in room. Location a bit of a walk to town centre.

« last minute stay - lucky find »

last minute stay - lucky find, great chinese 2 minutes along the road from the hotel. Would reccomend to couples and families although many weekends have functions so can be a little noisy downstairs. Although no noise in the bedrooms

    « Our Son's wedding day »

What can I say about our day and night at the Fir Grove Hotel WARRINGTON. The staff were all lovely and very good at their jobs . Rooms were available early as requested ,The Wedding itself and the Wedding Meal and Evening entertainment went so well thanks to the efficiency of all the Staff. Everybody attending had a great day and evening. Breakfast the next morning was outstanding. I Highly recommend this Hotel as a Wedding Venue. My thanks again to one and all.

    « New years eve »

Stayed here on New years eve. Hotel is three stars which is accurate, room was on the small side but absolutely fine. Food excellent throughout and the entertainment which was laid on was very good. All in all a very good stay and would stay here again.

    « New Year's Eve party!! »

The hotel hosted an absolutely brilliant New Year's Eve part 2015-2016. All the staff were excellent and could not do enough please you, always smiling. The food was 100%. From the canapés to the sit down meal to the bacon butties after midnight ??. The drinks were all pre paid for and were flowing ????. Thank you to all the staff at The Fir Groves for a brilliant night from start to finish. We did not stop over as we stayed at friends!

« Amazing New Years Eve »

Thank you Fir Grove for a fantastic New Years evening. We always go away for New Year's Eve with other couples to a Devere Hotel and have been disappointed over the last few years, I had been to a Christmas Party with work and had a lovely evening and thought we would try and get in for New Years Eve. We were lucky and got a cancellation, and booked it for 4 people. We were very impressed, a welcome drink of Kir Royal and canapés a amazing 6 course meal with we couldn't fault at all please thank the chef's. The service was amazing and all the staff were very friendly. The DJ played a mix of music to cater for the vast range of ages that were in attendance, and as if we had not eaten enough Bacon Butties at 1.00 the all exclusive package is very good value for money. The room was very clean and we slept like a log. Breakfast/Brunch in the morning was also very good and a great idea to have it open until 12 so we could have a lovely lie in. I am a Warrington girl and normally go further a field for New Year and pay a lot of money but we will defiantly be staying closer to home in future!! Thank you for making the start of 2016 a wonderful evening.

« ok hotel too expensive though »

stayed here for 1 night for work christmas party, we paid £90 for the superior deluxe room, nothing special, can get the same in a travel lodge for half the price. Breakfast was nice, but would of expected them serving a little later on a sunday.

« Family Meal and Overnight »

We went to this 3* hotel for a family meal in December. The night was good and the same for the overnight. The jewels in the crown here are the staff - helpful and ever ready to please. Apart from that nothing else is outstanding. Bedrooms need refurbishment soon.

    « Comfortable Hotel »

Stayed here whilst on a business trip to Warrington. It ia about half a mile from Warrington town centre and about the same distance from a good restaurant area.If it's not rush hour only about 10 mins from the motorway. The hotel has ample parking even if all the rooms are full. The rooms are comfortable, clean and walm, the only minor thing I could complain about is the wardrobe is a little small for a weeks stay as it only had room for 8 hangers. It was a good job the wife stayed at home. The breakfast was very good, with a wide selection of fruit, cold meats, cheese, croissonts cereals, fruit jucie etc plus a cooked buffet counter, try the mini sausages they are very good. I would stay here again.

« Great staff and a nice hotel »

Stayed here for two nights using a groupon voucher in an executive room. The hotel is clean and has everything you need. It is dated in terms of decor but not shabby. It is in a nice quiet location and our room looked on to the lovely courtyard. Free parking is also available. The only problem we had was the king bed was actually two singles pushed together which was a little uncomfortable. Breakfast was good and had a large selection of hot and cold items. Everything was cooked well and other items could be requested. There did seem to be a rush in the first hour due to in being a hotel for business people however there was always enough available. The best part of this hotel is the staff. Very friendly and helpful. The lady at breakfast was especially good and accommodating.

« Smallest of hotel rooms on our trip »

Great service from the staff, as others have said the rooms are clean and comfortable but dated. Shower was limp. Breakfast was nice. We ate other meals elsewhere. I have contacted them about a possible family function in the future.

    « Fabulous staff »

I've recently worked in/around Warrington and have regularly gone back to the Fir Grove having had a bad stay elsewhere. The staff at the Fir Grove are amazing - nothing is too much trouble for them Gemma, Ang and Renate on reception are friendly and welcoming, the chefs are most accommodating to requests and Jack, Jane and Jamie are fabulous serving you in the restaurant - Shaunna the restaurant pervisor has established a great team giving a super service I'd highly recommend a visit as it's also very convenient to major roads into Manchester,Liverpool etc

« Not good service at all »

Stayed here on 4 Nov for one night. To understand my disappointment you first need to understand that it took me 4 hours to drive to Warrington from London. I normally stay in the Premier inn whilst on business but i gave the Best Western a chance on this occasion. I checked in as normal around 3pm and was told dinner is between 6.00pm and 9.30pm with the last order at 9.15am. I duly went to the dinner area at 7.00pm but it was empty. No staff and nobody seated. I want to the bar area and asked if I could have table. I was informed that as there was private function in the hotel there would be no dinner serving until 8.00pm and again last service would be 9.15pm. I asked if I could have dinner delivered to my room but was I informed that also was not possible. So let's get this straight. Because the hotel had a private function, management believed that as they were unable to multi-task that should therefore be to the detriment and inconvenience of its guests. There simply was no forward planning for paid guests and certainly no communication. Providing a 1 hour window for hotel guests to eat and order is completely unacceptable. As for the rooms etc, they are ok but look tired and are in need of moderistaion. In fact the entire hotel is stuck in a 80's time warp. Really poor service experience so I will not be staying here again.

    « Bizarre but adequate »

Hotel rooms are slightly dated but clean and comfortable. There's free wifi available. The bar is small and managed by staff also attending to the restaurant so service can be slow. Bar food is fine, although the low tables in the bar area make eating there somewhat uncomfortable. The restaurant itself feels pretentious and overpriced - I only made the mistake of eating in there once. The hotel is located out of town in a quiet area - taxis are needed to get into town or to the station. There's a bizarre decor .. Polar bears and outsize chairs.. So, it's fine.. Adequate and comfortable but nothing more.

    « A lovely hotel !!! »

From the moment u walk through the door u feel,at ease ,the rooms are very spacious and very clean !!! The breakfast was fantastic , the only thing I would say is that the service was tad slow . We had a fab time and would defiantly stay again !!!

    « Service »

Been to this hotel every month since March, Jane the waitress was fantastic, her service to the whole group I could not complain, hotel staff were fantastic , food was excellent and the hotel catered for your every needs. The hotel is very clean and tidy. Receptionist are welcoming. The only thing I would say is do not use hair straighteners to high as it sets of the fire alarm.

    « Excellent hotel »

This was a very pleasant hotel with very good staff who were well trained and courteous. I would recommend this hotel and will stay again when in the area. The hotel is convenient for Warrington and area, but I would be prepared to stay again for a more distant business appointment.

    « Good. Ok. »

Here for about five nights. Dinner was not our type,Big shout out to Jane very friendly and the other waitressing staff. The breakfast was good but the rooms need updating. However all the rooms did have TV's which was good.

« In need of updating »

We stayed here for one night as we were attending a family wedding nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful, no complaints there at all. The room we stayed in was towards the back of the hotel overlooking an inner court yard. It was clean and comfortable. The bathroom appeared to have been upgraded fairly recently and was clean and modern. The public areas of the hotel were a mass of conflicting patterns in the wallpaper, carpets and furniture. The dining room was very dark. A splash of white paint and neutral carpet would really brighten the hotel and bring it up to date. Breakfast was acceptable, a fairly good choice of hot and cold dishes. Would I stay here again? The answer is probably yes.

    « Very Poor »

They have put water restrictors on the showers and completely over done it! there's barely enough water to get wet never mind stay warm or wash off any soap. The TV in the room didn't work and the breakfast was put out a 6 in the morning in those metal trays served Luke warm and very un appealing. Complained to Melanie McGann (who was very nice) and they reduced my bill but how difficult is it to give someone a hot meal, a hot shower and a TV that works. They are charging full price (£99) but providing a 'half service'
