Best Western Wainwright Inn & Suites

Be sure to always sign so you don't have an experience like mine with staff first phoning on the hotel phone, then my cell phone, then knocking on my door with the Do Not Disturb sign on the door while I was trying to sleep, then manager taking offence so room not cleaned. We stayed approximately 2 weeks here at the Wainwright Best Western, and 1 reservation would turn into an extended stay. It was on a Thursday night that I told the front office that that was the last night of our 1 reservation but we were extending it, so would be have to leave in order to book back in for the next reservation. No it was all good. So Friday morning, again I went to the front desk and was told everything was good. In the morning I wound up going back to the room and since my key cards didn't work, I had to get the front desk to reactivate them, again nothing said, then Saturday, the 2nd day into this reservation, I stopped at the front counter telling them I would be working in room all day, so I was putting up the Do Not Disturb sign. He said that was fine. Then that night after work at 8:30 at night, the phone rings, then the cell phone and then they came and knocked on the door with the sign on the door. All over apparantly, the staff not getting a signature for my stay. I don't work there. I don't know what is needed. And if the staff doesn't know that is a manager problem. Do not put this on the people staying in your hotel. Now earlier one of my first days at the hotel, a young girl needed my cc so she wrote on a card, sliding it under my door stating if I could come to the front counter for a moment. I did, she did what she needed to do with my cc and that was it. It was great. That is how it should have been. When I phoned and spoke with the General Manager, she spoke to me like I was a little girl, and I wound up telling her I was done speaking with her, that I was going to go above her and talk with the corporate office. Which I did. I spoke with 2 from corporate office. Then once again our stay needed to be extended, but this time I made sure we signed. However, when we got back to our room after a long day, the room had not been made up and no fresh towels. Guess the manager figured she would show me for going above her, and tell the staff not to clean our room. Apparantly the hotel is needing to contact me back and this can take up to 5 days.. Still waiting for this to occur. The hotel is only as good as the last stay, and I was told, Best Westerns are all different. I will wait for someone to contact me and see what occurs. By the way I am a Diamond Elite which is the top tier. So if they treat me like this, how will you be treated if you are not at this level yet? Very horrible hotel!!!!!!!

We stayed in the family room with one king and two twins. The bed was comfortable with nice linens and several pillows. The adjoining twin room had its own tv. The hotel was quiet and although I did not use the breakfast room it appeared to have several choices. This hotel is exceptionally clean.

Customer service was great. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Hot breakfast was an icing on the cake in the morning unlike breakfast in the bag other hotels are still providing. Will definitely lodge again at this hotel in future.

Stayed there on business every week and I'm very satisfied with this hotel Staff is friendly, rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast is great as well If I had to critique anything.. it would be a upgrade for the flat screen tvs Could be at least 40ich. And possibly more usb outlets in the rooms

Friendly staff, adequate ammenties and nice morning hot breakfast. Worthwhile to stay at the hotel when in Wainwright. Executive suites are well equiped and comfortable. Best sleep that I have had at a hotel chain.

For us internet is so important to access our daily report scope of our job. I need to remove the Lan cable in TV set up box and connect my Lan cable to my laptop in order to activate my VPN and my colleague is having the same issue.

Staff are friendly, although we are coming back late from work in the morning, they adjusted the closing time to accomodate us. Staff are respecting our privacy. Overall, they met my expectations and looking forward to go back again

The staff went above and beyond helping with printing some much needed documents for the following day and then accommodating me last minute the following night after I had originally checked out. Very friendly and helpful.

The girl at the front desk was so friendly and welcoming. We stayed here for a hockey tournament. The hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable. The sheets were surprisingly very soft. There were lots of pillows on the bed. Something did trigger my asthma all night in the hotel – not sure if it was the cleaning agents they used, pets, or dust in the vents. Our second night there was a young kids hockey team on the floor above us and we could hear them running around the hallways late at night and early in the morning. The continental breakfast was good and nice the hotel has a hot tub.

Upon leaving the hotel, I had a cup of coffee in my hand. My colleague was going out the door before me, and when I went through the automatic doors, they closed on me. I spilled the coffee all over my dress and my hand. Initially the hotel said the doors didn't malfunction, however with witnesses they said they would monitor the doors. I asked for remuneration for my dress as it was now stained with coffee. After a few back and forth emails the manager sent me two prepaid gift cards. I went to use them the $25.00 one went through. The $100 did not. Apparently it had been used

We stayed here for an overnight hockey trip, parents and kid all had a great time here, Emily at the front desk was great, the kids said she was cool and a very nice lady. Thank you for letting us hangout in the breakfast area as a team to have supper and watch the Oilers game all together. If we do have another overnighter we will definitely book this hotel again.

I unexpectedly needed a hotel room when visiting family and I landed at the BW. The rate was the best of the hotels I looked at, the rooms were nice and very clean, and the staff very all very helpful and friendly. There is a complimentary breakfast nook which had lots of options for any diet type. I find these in hotel breakfasts a real perk and is something I consider when booking, especially in smaller locations. Would recommend and will stay here again.

I rarely write reviews but the check in staff and provided breakfast deserve to be recognized. We were welcomed by a very friendly and personable staff member at the front desk. Breakfast was an unexpected surprise for a relatively small hotel. We loved the sausages, omelettes, hash browns and waffles. Waffle toppings included berries, chocolate chips, nuts, coconut, m&ms, and more. So fun!! There was also cereals, yogurts, fruit, pastries, and even a table of gluten free options. For those without time for breakfast, there were brown bags available at the front desk for breakfast to go. It was a great way to start the day. If ever back in the area, this will be our go-to hotel.

I had two separate stays here within a month of each other. Check in both times were a breeze. The rooms I was assigned were clean and comfortable. I also left a pillow in the room on my first stay, and they kept it for me until my second stay. I don't find myself in Wainwright that much, but will come back here the next time I am in the area.

The hotel and staff were good, it was quite and the breakfast was a nice addition. The pool and hot tub were out of order and we weren't told about it until we checked in so that was a definite let down

This hotel is an example of great customer service. The Front Desk staff are knowledgeable, willing to do anything to improve your trip. The Breakfast area only opens at 6'30 AM. We did not know that but were trying to get to the Airport for an early flight. This was handled well by the Attendant who did her best to make sure we had a good, hot breakfast before we left.

Notified staff and nothing was done. Got zero sleep and no compensation. Very poorly managed hotel. Worst Best Western I've ever stayed at by far. Would recommend to stay as far away from this hotel as possible

We stayed at this hotel for a provincial hockey tournament and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We were able to book a conference room to meet and they even served breakfast a little earlier the one morning when we had to leave early for a game. Absolutely 5 stars!!

It was relatively easy to find being along the main highway and located close to shopping, (WalMart, Canadian Tire, No Frills), Gas and Tim Hortons. Gas Station and walking path nearby, quiet hotel. Front desk staff very freindly

Always friendly staff and very accommodating of my needs. Rooms are clean. Breakfast is excellent. Very good selection. When arriving always receive a friendly greeting from staff. Get my complimentary water. Staff in the morning very attentive to breakfast. One in particular I like is very friendly and communicates well with guests. I stay here for business but it's a lot better than other chains I've been at.

My trip at the Best Western Wainwright was a wonderful experience. We are moving from Wainwright and Lana the general manager gave us an affordable rate on a clean hotel suite. I would give this hotel a 10 out of 10 for cleanliness and staff!

We stayed at Best Western Wainwright Inn & Suite overnight enroute to Saskatoon from Edmonton. The inn was a new brand, so we liked the atmosphere and interior design in the inn. From Edmonton, we travelled on Highway#14 to see an interesting and lovely autumn scenic views to North Battleford. The highway was smooth and so quiet as we were very lonesome to drive along the highway to see flocks of Canadian geese and white snowbirds on the fields for hundreds of kilometres. It was a perfect timing to watch the geese flying southwards during the season.

Was traveling for work. Comfortable beds, clean, friendly, good breakfast selection in the morning. The only issued was the pool, hot tub and workout room were closed for renovations during my stay and I did not notice this during the online booking.

Our stay was July 2 - 4, 2021. Very dissatisfied! Upon arrival we find out that the excerise area & pool were under construction, which we were ok with as we had a busy weekend at a ball tournament. The baggage cart was hard to maneuver as the tires were close to being flat. When we entered our room it definitely was a smokers room at one time, it was a very musty & smelt like old cigarette smoke. Then unfortunately our elevator quit and we had to take the stairs to the 4th floor & my lung capacity isn't great. So my breathing was very laboured by time we reached the 4th floor. The tub/shower diverter wasn't working properly, we had more water coming out of the spout than the shower head.Then after coming back from the tournament at 10:30 pm all we wanted was a hot shower and sleep. Entered our room and it wasn't cleaned, so tried phoning the front desk 10 + times and kept getting sorry operator busy try again. So phoned the motel's direct line and the call was answered right away, when we asked if there was a reason our room wasn't cleaned the reply we got was yeah all our rooms were booked and the cleaning personnel didn't get to all the rooms, but they tried to get to every room to see if things were needed and sorry that they didn't get to ours. So yes, they did bring up more towels, coffee etc. I feel after spending $300. plus for a 2 night stay and we weren't offered any compensation for the lack of service an amenities. Then on check out we didn't get a thank you, or how was your stay, but we did get have a nice day. I am hard pressed to ever stay at this location again.

Booked a king room with sofa bed. Got here and only had a queen bed with sofa available. Room was not clean. Sheets were stained, ice bucket was dirty and there were bugs in the bathroom. Pool was the reason for booking here got here and found out pool has been broke since winter. There is only one elevator and it is broken as well so have to go up all flights of stairs to top floor in a hot stairwell during a ridiculous heatwave. The pool being out of service was not noted on the booking website or Best westerns website. Not worth the $312. Worst hotelI have ever been in! Will book the Ramada next time they are cheaper and have working elevators and pools!!

Great breakfast program. No fitness facilities during Covid. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. The room was clean, plenty of towels. There were no dishes in the suite but cupboards for you to store things as well as a sink to wash dishes but no dish soap or dish towels

Nice clean hotel. Very quiet. Friendly and helpful staff that follows all covid safety procedures. Continental breakfast is still available covid safe as a takeaway option. The room was exceptionally clean and coffee pot and microwave in the room.

Just popped in from a late job and was out first thing in the morning. Stay was just fine as per usual. I did like the shower. It's large and doesn't splash water all over the floor like others I've been at. Breakfast is very basic due to COVID.

Our stay was for two months due to unexpected renovations at our home. Lana and her staff welcomed us warmly and worked with me and my spouse closely to make our stay pleasurable. All the staff were not only professional, but made us feel like we were staying with family. We were relaxed during a stressful time.

We arrived this evening around 7 pm. First thing that bothered me was when the front desk clerk, who, by the way, has the personality of a dead flea, tells me my dog was going to cost me $25 extra. I really think that Extra cost should be reflected on the website as it is 2 late to cancel a reservation on the day of arrival. If i didnt have a reservation I would have changed hotels just on principle alone. The website should also mention that only showers are offered and not shower/tub combinations as the first thing hubby and I like to do after a long day driving is soak in a hot tub. The hotel itself is very nice, but the website could be more concise as to what you are actually paying and what each room offers.

Have stayed at this hotel multiple times. Great staff, clean rooms. Always very helpful. Price is a little high especially for just a quick stay. Military discount accepted. And 4th floor is all smoking rooms.

Hot tub and pool not working. Very disappointed as that is why we booked this hotel. BW needs to notify booking that these are not working as we are paying for these type of amenity. Hot tub and pool should be checked serval times a day to stay on top of working conditions

From the free breakfast buffet with bacon, hash browns, eggs, frittatas, yogurt and fruit cups, to the swimming pool and hot tub, to the modern updated clean rooms, I enjoyed everything about my recent stay at Best Western Wainwright. My favorite part had to be the staff who exceeded my expectations, from a friendly "Good morning" to helping with computer issues in the business office to making my family feel truly welcome.

Early Christmas morning we arrived from Edmonton. We knew check in was listed as 4 PM, but at 11:30 AM we stopped in to confirm our reservation. Also, our Christmas dinner would not be until early evening with family in Wainwright, so we asked the front desk staff if they knew of somewhere that might be open for coffee and a bite to eat. We had not been able to find anything open. First of all, the girl let us check in to our room and leave our luggage. Then she told us to help ourselves to the coffee and light refreshments in the breakfast room. Perfect!!!! As I said, great customer service. The room was clean, nicely decorated and the beds super comfortable. Thank you so much. Hope to drop in again sometime.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff are very friendly and professional. I was welcomed warmly and given a detailed description of all the services available. A very tasty warm breakfast welcomed me in the morning as well. A great sleep on each night topped it all off.

I needed to stay for one night, without a reservation, at this location. Hotel staff were accomodating and always cheerful. My stop at this hotel made my hectic work schedule much easier. Whenever I had a request for a staff member, they stopped what they gave me their time and attention cheerfully.

I found the place very clean and maintained, would like to stay again when in that area. Good breakfast and amenities inside the hotel, was maintained and staff was great and very helpful, Great restaurants to order food. Food delivery was very fast .

I stayed in BW for business. Big spacious room, very nice and comfortable bed with lots of pillows and duvet blanket. Breakfast is continental with the variety of hot items. There is express check out, which is convenient. In general it was a very comfortable stay.

The stay at Best Western was the best. I do a lot of travelling and must say this place was the best service and hospitality. Being far from home, they made you feel welcome and honored the Military's.

We were staying in the hotel during our move to Wainwright, waiting for our things to arrive. The front desk was nice and checked us in early to accommodate our plans. Unfortunately we did not take part in the breakfast, but the last time we were there it was great.

Easy access and nice counter staff. Hot breakfast was hot and tasty with clean eating area. Wifi was a little slow that was to be expected but not unusable. Pool and hot tub were clean and plenty of towels available. Close to fast food eateries and large retail stores. Just off highway but not noisy.

When we checked in Chantel was very friendly and informative about the amenities that the hotel offered. Even though the hotel was full, it was quiet on the floor we stayed on. Comfortable bed and really good breakfast.

It was amazing, the staff is great and very friendly. They bake cookies that are delicious and if you are lucky, will check in while they are baking! They have different flavors to please everyone. Love the smell!

Very nice hotel for a small town. Nice pool and spa, friendly helpful staff. One of the nicer, yet affordable hotels in the area. Had some issues with the smoke detector, but were taken care of promptly.

Stayed at the Best Western in Wainwright during a hunting trip in December. I haven't stayed at a Best Western in a long time and I was pleasantly surprised at is high standard. Good comfortable rooms, fairly big and well kept. Very decent breakfast served from 6am. Decent gym and pool area. Friendly staff and reception. The only thing I couldn't figure out was the TV, it now has live TV and it seemed that you had to pay even for basic stuff. Not that I had that much time so I finally gave up and read my book instead. I would stay there again.

A love place to stay while working in Wainwright. The hotel is comfortable, beds and pillows clean and comfy and the breakfast in the morning had a variety of choices with some changing each day. The staff are friendly and quick to assist. A great place to stay close to restaurants and shopping.

This was a one night stay. We came to see our grandson.The stay was great! We only encountered 2 staff. One at check in and at check out/breakfast.Both were very nice and helpful.The rooms were as expected, clean and organized.As with most showers there was very little pressure. Getting shampoo and soap off is a chore.I would definitely recommend this motel.

I have been completed overwhelmed by my incredible "Guest Experience"! This is the first time that I have stayed at this property. From the moment that I walked into the lobby & to the Front Desk, I felt very welcomed & wanted!! Best Western's Associate that checked me in was incredible. Friendly, helpful in information of the surrounding area for dinner, activities etc! My room was amazing! So clean & spacious. A welcome note thanking me for my business, bottled water in the fridge, snacks on the counter (which are now all gone)!! I definitely will be telling as many people as I can about my truly great experience here at the Best Western Wainwright Inn & Suites. You are crazy if you don't book your next trip here!! I found this hotel clean and quiet. The amenities were excellent. The staff were informative and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel. The location was easily accesible to all shopping and tourist sites of interest.

Rooms are a little steep at 160 a night when your just passing through but the rooms are clean check in and out was quick and painless and the service was very good quality. Didnt check out the breakfast but from past experiences at best western hotels its so so kinda just what you would expect from a hotel!

If you are trying to decide where to stay, I'm telling you right now, Best Western. The level of service I received was unmatchable. All the staff right down to the housekeepers were excellent. Breann and Jill in particular stand out to me. I was always greeted by name. Fresh cookies made every night. The entire hotel is spotless. Breakfast every morning is well looked after and kept fresh. And I can not forget that these beds were the comfiest beds I have ever slept on. I have stayed at a different hotel in Wainwright in the past and was very disappointed. I will always be a BW customer now thanks to BW Wainwright.

My family of four had to be in the area for a week and we chose to stay at the Best Western Wainwright. Best. Decision. Ever. Not only was the hotel conveniently located, but the staff really went above and beyond to make our family feel really welcome. Not just the front desk staff upon our arrival, but every staff member we came across for the entirety of our stay. When travelling with small children, feeling like you're not a nuisance really can be a huge stress reliever and we were so thankful for the staff's kindness. We will definitely plan to stay here the next time we are in the area!

I have stayed at the Best Western Wainwright for the last 9 weeks and the staff didn't falter once. They are extremely friendly and helpful with all inquiries. The hotel looks and feels new as it was always clean and presentable. The rooms are spacious and the best part was the continental breakfast every morning. Highly Recommend!

there was an issue with the booking tool and I was placed in a smoking room even though i booked a non-smoking room. Was told there was nothing they could do because the non smoking room wasnt available when I booked. At check in I was not made aware of this until I came down after going to my room to ask what the smell was. I did not know smoking rooms still existed in hotels, this is just disgusting

Amazing staff, even the housekeepers, breakfast was just perfect for a hotel. The Hotel is centrally located, easy access to any where. I would recommend this hotel anytime. Staff keep up the friendly attitude. You guys are doing great.

I would strongly recommend the Best Western in Wainwright. Within walking distance of Walmart, No Frillls and Canadian Tire. Behind the hotel are a network of walking paths if you need to get some fresh air and stretch your legs.

Friendly staff gave us helpful advice. The rooms were very clean, updated and new looking. There was next to no noise in our room, road noise or other guests. The only negative thing I can say about the room would be the pillows are too big. The complimentary breakfast was good. The eating area was well looked after tables were clean. Great location, close to shopping and fast food.

Three of us stayed at this property for almost 10 days. Our overall experience was fantastic. All the front desk CSRs were very friendly, courteous, professional and always willing to go that extra mile to help us. We first checked-in at R&R Lakeview at Hardisty and we had the worst experience ever so instead of staying there we decided to stay at this property in Wainwright. When the manager heard all the inconveniences we have had at R&R property, she gave us $40 gift voucher for Taphouse Grill. We were truly pleasantly surprised by their kind gesture. We had to spend the night due to truck troubles and the staff was very courteous and friendly. It was -34°C and the staff actually went and checked to make sure that the electrical cord to our truck was plugged in and working in the night . The rooms were emaculate and the hotel is pet friendly! Thank you staff!

After checking out a few other motels in the area, I felt this location to be the most environmentally safe place to stay. I had no bad feeling that my vehicle may be broken into overnight. Other locations left me with that uncertain feeling. As for the quality of service and amenities, I totally recommend this place.

Second time staying at this hotel and it is by far the best hotel in Wainwright. Large, clean rooms, comfortable beds, great staff and conveniently located. They always greet you and ensure your stay is amazing. I won't stay anywhere else in town now.

This hotel provided clean and comfortable rooms. The bed was great. The gave us the corporate rate which I thought was a little high for the off season in a smaller center. The breakfast was great and the staff were very friendly. location was convenient.

Recently had a great stay here while on business. Nothing negative to report, this facility is top notch! Room was spotless,internet is through Telus Fiber Optik and is extremely fast and dependable. The breakfast is parented nicely and offers a good selection of food. It's great they have water cooler available for customers to refill!

Stayed here passing through on business, not a bad hotel by any means but the rooms just felt extremely cold and uninviting. The staff were nice at check-in and had no issues with the express checkout. I slept fine and would probably recommend this place for the weary traveller. I've just been to better Best Westerns.

She was able to meet my two night accommodation needs during a very busy time. Really appreciate the customer service and the room was fantastic. Out on the open Alberta prairies there is the town of Wainwright close to the Saskatchewan border and the BW there is a good place to rest up from your day of travels or work or what ever it is you are doing Did you know that Expedia is the most suck travel inter net site out there if you use expedia you are sure to get screwed, so don't be a retard and and don't use expedia. After a good nights rest you can continue on the next day travel or to your job site all refreshed and ready to go with a full breakfast which is provided

Staff went out of their way to make sure our stay was perfect...from making the reservation to check-in and during our stay. The hotel is in the perfect location...close to big name shopping and fast food restaurants.

This Best Western full filled all of our desires. The cleanliness, friendliness was exceptional. The bed was super comfortable. The decor is beautiful. We didn't use the pool or the fitness room but we could have. The staff helped us to know what good places to eat at are. The toilet paper and Kleenex were really soft. Continental breakfast was wonderful. Gluten free options are available.

This hotel is good but expensive relative to the size of the town, for example I spent the next night in Lloydminster which is considerably larger and paid 66% of the price for the same room and slightly better amenities. My particular issue here is the breakfast, the choices are limited compared to most other Best westerns and, in fact, most other hotels and if you aren't there first thing when the crews are down for breakfast you could miss out on some items completely. The rooms themselves are good and the staff is very helpful. Access to the hotel is good although parking can be hit and miss if there are a lot of crews in with truck and trailer combinations.

Hotel and staff are excellent, breakfast was fresh and coffee was always on. Great location for easy access in and out of Wainwright; close to Tims and grocery store. I would recommend this hotel as a place to stay.

We stayed Wednesday to Thursday. We were in town to attend grad at the Base. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfy. Very good nights sleep. In the Morning the breakfast was from 6-9 and a good variety. I left full. I have no complaint on anything except it would of been better to have a sit down restaurant close instead of all fast food. I would stay here again

Stayed here over 7 years ago and rooms still look vary new, rooms were very clean, note: double queen rooms have just a shower, I missed a tub bath, food was good, lots variety, air was good not to humid, friendly helpful staff; will stay again!!! Tim Horton's near by, Co-op store and gas station, lots other big stores too!

Have stayed in quite a few Best Western Hotels but this one was not quite up to par with what we have come to expect . First of all the carpets and furniture could have been cleaner. The breakfast was just OK . The bed was too soft and the pillows too puffy . The shower was not strong enough to rinse the shampoo out of my hair properly and there was no tap , no tub , so the shower curtain just barely covered the lip- you had to be very careful not to get water on the floor. The handle was very hard to turn and adjust. On the good side the room was very quiet and had all the amenities we needed. The service was good but not exceptional . Overall a bit pricey for what we got .........

Super friendly folks, nice clean rooms. Hotel fitness center was above average, and pool and hot tub were nice to relax in. I would recommend it completely. The breakfast was healthy and a very good spread, and warm baked cookies each night at the front desk made a cute and nice surprise.

The problem with giving a facility a high rating, it brings in more business and then when one needs a room, they're full! I've stayed at this BW over two years completing projects in the area and have had excellent service and comfortable accommodation.

Room was clean, service was ok. Extremely disappointed with the fact that the elevator did not work for the majority of our stay, which was frustrating when hauling suitcases to the 4th floor. Also, garbage at the front of the hotel was overflowing and garbage blew all over the parking lot.

The Wainwright Best Western is everything you'd expect from a BW Hotel. It has very good rooms, a good pool and an excellent breakfast. It's a busy hotel, but very quiet. The front desk staff were amazing and extremely helpful. We required a short term storage for some freezer goods and the front desk staff was very accommodating. The Wainwright BW Hotel is also conveniently located close to many amenities, including a few fast food joints, Walmart, Canadian Tire, and No Frills...and it's pretty much at the corner of the main intersection of Hwy 14 and Hwy 41.

Hotel is well kept. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Very friendly and accommodating staff. The breakfast room is a great feature and the hotel also has a swimming pool for those that are interested. The only thing i would change would be to make the Hotel 100% Non-Smoking.

Other then hen what I already stated it was very good. I will stay there again and look forward to it. The tv was not enjoyable and the coffee maker in my room was broken. Other hen that it was great especially the breakfast.

I found the hotel centrally located to restaurants and shopping, the room was clean and the bed very comfortable. I experienced no noise at all and slept well the two nights I stayed. The front desk staff were efficient as well as the Breakfast staff. Breakfast items were plentiful and good. The check in and out was very smooth and quick. I would stay there again.

Traveled through to points west. The staff were very friendly and helpful! We were directed to a local restaurant for our dinner, Thanks. The room was very clean and the beds comfortable. Room temperature was easy to control. Breakfast bar had lots of selection.

The moment I arrived at the hotel, I felt very welcome. The lady at the desk, believe her name was Dianne was pleasant and was able to ask any questions that I had. The room was clean and cozy. The only little thing that I can nit pick on is that there was a lot of dust and dirt under the chairs in the lobby.

The employees of the Wainwright Best Western are exceptional!! The General Manager went above and beyond to ensure our team had an enjoyable stay - calling me about the pool being out of service, and purchasing tickets for our players to swim at the Communiplex. The hotel and the rooms are clean, breakfast was wonderful. All the staff members we encountered were friendly and extremely helpful. Lana and her staff are true testaments to the Best Western chain of hotels.

I found the staff to be polite, the rooms clean/well kept, and the hotel to be good quality and well built. I would most certainly go again. In fact this is the forth time I have stayed. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Our trip to Wainwright to attend the RCMP MUSICAL RIDE was primarily for a special outing my daughters who are wheelchair users. The hotel was convenient, staff friendly and respectful to my daughters. We signed up for Best Western points membership and would readily use Best Western again, based on our positive experience. We were sent off with bottles of water for all 5 of us which was a nice send off on a hot day!

We were here for a ball tournament. The Hotel is close to lots of shopping and easy to get to. Modern and clean with great service Breakfast and everything you could want - bacon, eggs, toast, yogurt, fruit and starts at 6 am which was great because we had an 8 am game.

Stayed here for 5 nights 23-27 May while we were on our HHT. Room was nice and the beds were comfortable. Wifi needs a little boost as our phones wouldn't connect all the time, and when connected sites won't load continuously fighting for a signal. The shower is something to be desired as it makes a huge mess on the bathroom floor as it isn't a bathtub and the shower curtain rod is curved so the water escapes the, not even sure what to call......it's not a tub but it is a poorly designed shower. Otherwise staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We will stay again besides my shower and wifi complaint.

Overall, this hotel is totally fine. Nice comfortable rooms and a very nice continental breakfast. Due to a booking error with Expedia, we were given smoking rooms, which is not great, so take note when booking with Expedia! My comment on the hotel would be this, the woman at the front, I believe her name was Diane but I could be mistaken, consistently and repeatedly referred to myself and my co-worker as 'girls'. Now, I'm not one to take offense at much, but at 34 years old, I haven't considered myself in the 'girl' category for quite a long time. 'Women' or 'Ladies' would have been far more appropriate. It really does come across as disrespectful, though I am sure that was not the intent. So perhaps a learning opportunity here. I would stay here again, it is a nice hotel.

What a pleasant surprise to realize the hotel maintained the same standard of service & care as it did when we stayed there 3 yrs ago. The rm was spotless & although we are nonsmokers on a smoking floor, the new filters installed in the rms are fantastic.....no hint of smoke whatsoever. Proximity to Timmies is an added Bonus!

Love staying at this hotel in Wainwright,. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Hotel is always clean and breakfast area has everything for a great breakfast. If you don't want to take your vehicle you are within walking distance to Tim Hortons, Canadian Tire and Walmart. Also they have some really cool clothing stores and other unique stores along the main street, I recommend you check them out you won't be disappointed.

The hotel is well located and easy to find. The rooms were clean but the flooring is starting to show it's age, the slate floors are quite scuffed up. The staff were pleasant and the breakfast was unremarkable... similar to most hotels offering breakfast with your stay. The hotel is noisy, we were on the second floor and could hear the folks above us walking on the floor and flushing the toilet which made for a rather restless sleep.

As always, the rooms are clean, breakfast on point and service of staff is attentive. Been going to this location over the past 5 years and would recommend in a blink. Looking forward to my next visit.

Nice new hotel with great breakfast and a comfy bed. This is in a new location with new stores in the area. A big Walmart, DQ in strip mall Tim Hortons and grocery store. Overall experience was good. There is a work out room, and pool etc. although I did not use them. There was choice of cookies on arival.

This Best Western is one of the best. Lana and her staff are friendly and do everything they can to make a persons stay feel like you are welcomed and wanted their. when i know i will be in this area this is the only motel of choice for me.

This is a nice motel, in a good location, quite and clean rooms. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a Tim Horton's across the parking lot, other restaurants are just a short drive. Standard breakfast is included with the room.

Excellent Service as they went out of there way to accomodate our family. We had a great time in the pool and i liked the fitness center. There was a hockey tournament that weekend but they put us in a quiet wing away from the noise, greatly appreciated.

Always a very good stay. This year not a lot of holidays as I have had a knee replacement in June, and could not get away. Another one coming up in March, so can hopefully get away in the summer. I am glad I only have two knees.

I usually stay at Holiday Inn cuz the beds are comfortable and they have Jacuzzi Suites. Where I was going, there was no Holiday Inn. So we were forced to find other accommodations. Best Western was a good choice for us, as they have Jacuzzi Suites and allowed smoking in the room. The room was nice, clean and fresh smelling! Not too bad of a price for what we had, around $200 bucks. We also had hot/cold breakfast included. The food wasn't the best, however did fill us up. All in all it was good. I would definitely go back to this particular BW, in Wainwright, AB. The hotel is clean and the staff was great!

I have no complaints about the service, which was quite good. However, there was a major issue with the cleanliness of the pool-patches of inch-thick scum floating at bottom of pool, and visible areas where it had not been cleaned-you could see wipe marks where it had been cleaned, so it was obvious where it had not. The scum was the worst though. We did not allow our kids to go in the pool-resulting in much disappointment. Also, the breakfast was sub-par to what we're used to at other hotels in same price point. And there was no TV guide listing the shows that were playing. Just a channel guide(ie-ABC, NBC, CBC...), and you had to scroll through all 50some channels to see what shows were on.

We have stayed here many times, over the last 4 years. Never had a single complaint! We have almost always had the family suite, which is a king-size bed, with a separate room with two twin beds. Rooms have a fridge and microwave, as well as two TVs. Rooms are spacious, modern, and clean. Staff is always friendly and efficient. There is a great little breakfast area, where you can get coffee and tea at any time of the day. The pool and hot tub are clean and my overly chlorinated. Would recommend this to anyone traveling with kids!

I'm not fond of Wainwright when I have to go there but this hotel makes up for it. Great location close to Tim Hortons, Walmart and gas stations. The hotel is new or newer than ones I've been staying in. Great room with very nice quality beds and pillow. We got free wifi and free breakfast. The staff were very nice and courteous. Good hotel.

This is 1 of 2 hotels I would use in Wainwright. I find the staff friendly the beds and rooms comfortable. The room rates are higher than other communities including larger communities. The breakfast is nothing to brag about

I stayed here for a few nights while on a business trip. The hotel was clean and cosy. The room was average but comfortable. The bonus was the free breakfast every morning with a pretty good spread. I would recommend this hotel for anyone in the area looking for great accommodations with some great amenities.

Compared to other Best Westerns in BC and Alberta. This hotel is vastly overpriced. Rooms are average. Pool and hottube very small. Exercise room average. Breakfast is the standard fair. An average hotel at a premium price. Don't know how they justify the price??

We stayed here with friends on a motorcycle trip. Diane at reception was excellent. She recommended several good places to eat and even offered to get a taxi to take us to the restaurant. A bonus is that they have Gluten Free Brown Rice Krispies. What a plus. They have a pool and hot tub so we all enjoyed our evening with the pool and hot tub The hotel is very clean. The beds are great and even being in a busy area the hotel is very quiet. We will definitely stay here again.

Very clean and friendly staff. Hot tub and pool area was small but sufficient. Continental breakfast was very good with a choice of yogourt, fruit, cereals and toast. Make your own waffles and a warm meat with eggs and potatoes. I would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I, accompanied by our dog went to Wainwright to visit. We stayed in the Best Western, and there was no problem finding a pet friendly room. We were on the 3rd floor, and the room was a room with 2 queens. It was very clean, the bed was super comfy, linens very crisp and clean and internet was snappy. We enjoyed the breakfast in the morning which had a good variety of foods to choose from, all included in the nights stay. We would stay here again with no qualms and would recommend it to anyone. Great Job Best Western. The only thing I would say is the AC in the room would come on frequently and was loud. I mentioned it to the front desk and they said they would have mainenance look into it. Effiecient and responsive.

I travelled with my spouse and 2 year old son. We rented a suite and my son slept in the other room on the hide-a-bed couch. We enjoyed having a door between the 2 rooms so we could watch TV and use internet while the kid was sleeping.

We stayed at the Best Western Wainwright in April to attend the Graduation Ceremony of our Son into the Princess Patricia's. We were greeted by a friendly front desk clerk and the positive stay continued from that point until the end of our stay. The Rooms were very clean and well stocked, the beds were super comfortable and the complimentary breakfast on both days was delicious and abundant. When checking out we were even supplied with a complimentary bottle of water for our drive back to Edmonton. The friendly and accommodating staff made our stay very pleasant. I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to Wainwright.

We stayed at the Best Western Wainwright Inn and Suites in January 2016 because we were attending the Alberta Junior Provincial Curling championships. The staff went above and beyond excellence to accommodate the needs of the athletes. For example, if the teams had late morning games, the staff would extend the breakfast times so that the curlers could sleep in a bit and still have time to eat a great breakfast! They were friendly and genuinely interested in how the kids were doing. If we ever find ourselves in Wainwright again, we won't have to put any thought into where we stay :)

If you've read any of my reviews you know Best Western is my hotel of choice, and the Wainwright location is yet another perfect example of what makes Best Western the most consistent hotel chain. The hotel is spotless, rooms are modern, super clean, comfy everything you'd expect. What sets this location apart is the staff. Super friendly, helpful, cheerful, I don't have enough good words! I don't have one negative thing to say about this location. Everything was excellent, even breakfast was better than most locations. I look forward to staying at this location again!

Our room at Best Western Inn &Suites in Wainwright Alberta was perfect! The rooms were a great size, clean and well stocked. Nothing was missing and because it was clean and inviting when we came in, we felt we had made a great choice of hotels. The staff were all very pleasant, informative, and friendly. The pool and hot tub were available if you wanted to use them! In the morning the breakfast they provided was wonderful. Lots of variety and definitely something for evergone! We really enjoyed our stay and would stay there the next time we were in town!

We stayed for just a night on our way home from a trip, but this was the best sleep I had. The queen bad was tucked away in a cozy room off the living area. The bed itself was soft, yet supportive and the linens lovely and clean. The room itself seemed very new or well maintained. Breakfast was quite good. Yogurt parfaits and warm hard boiled eggs were the highlight, but there were many other choices. The breakfast service showed evidence of attention to hygiene. Cutlery is stored in a dispenser, most condiments are single serve packets and staff use gloves and hairnets to handle the food. The only item I noticed missing is a hand sanitizer. Staff were helpful and friendly. The 10% off for 1979 restaurant was also an unexpected plus (the cards are on the check in desk) The only frustrations we experienced were the bathrooms. They seemed to be a testament to poor planning. Be careful opening the door to the ladies room by the lobby. The door will whack the toilet. The bathroom in our room was exceedingly cramped, but at least clean. All in all, this hotel is excellent in the categories that really matter. Would stay here again any time and understand why my husband always chooses this hotel when in Wainwright.

We stayed here at Christmas, so it was very quiet and empty. Clean rooms, excellent service, good hot breakfast. Everything you would hope to get at a chain hotel. Some are better than others, and this is one of the better ones.

As a young family, Best Western hotels are great! This hotel was very clean and the front counter service was Awesome! Went well out of her way to help & was cheerful about it! The 4th floor are all smoking rooms and we had no choice but to be on the 4th floor.

We booked a family suite, it was warm, large, clean and very quiet. The breakfast was very good and the staff worked hard to maintain the cleanliness and stock levels because the hotel was quite busy. The pool and hot tub were small but clean and in good repair.

A very nice upscale Best West. Stayed here 2 weeks on business, in an executive suite. The separate bed living room gave me a lot of space. Nice bathroom, shower only. Lots of towels and hot water. Very clean, 2 TV's and a couch. The only glitch was the heating system. The thermostat and heat/air unit was in the separate bedroom. In order to heat or cool the living room area, you had to leave the bedroom door open and run the heat/air hard to raise or lower the living room temperature. Of course that made the bedroom uncomfortably hot or cold. I could find no way around this built in fault. But, blazing fast internet, good work desk. A nice kitchen counter and sink. Very quiet. Diverse hot breakfast. Nice entry, friendly staff. I would stay here again.

I was staying on a business trip in summer of 2015 and believe this is the one of the best in wainwright. They have very friendly staff, excellent room service and food. They had probably one of the best WiFi connections that I got in any Wainwright hotel. The gym and pool were respectable and clean. They had very comfortable beds and decent size TV's.

Definitely one of the better hotels I've stayed at. I opted for the executive suite which was very clean, quiet and relaxing. The mattress was fine, not too hard or soft. In addition, the staff were knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. Great stay.

Spent a week here for business. The room was nice, and the bed was very comfortable. Staff were friendly & helpful. I didn't use the gym or pool/hot tub but both areas were clean and bei g enjoyed by other guests when I passed them. I would definitely stay here again.

My daughter and I stayed at the Best Western, Wainwright for 4 nights during curling provincials. All of the staff were so friendly and very accommodating. Keeping the breakfast buffet open past their serving time, so that curling teams with a later draw could still eat. The breakfast room was always spotless and the food well stocked! Housekeeping was always friendly and patient, when we were not out of our rooms for cleaning. We found the beds to be very comfortable and really needed the small room fridge. Trying to feed 14 people in our hotel room, was challenging and not very comfortable. We were able to set up our food in the breakfast room for our curling team and parents. Some items were left behind at the hotel and we were promptly called to we could pick these items up. Great customer service seems hard to find these days. We had an amazing and comfortable experience and would not hesitate to stay here again!

Stayed here due to a hunting trip at Camp Wainwright. Location was excellent and they were very accommodating to the hunters staying there. Very clean, staff was professional and requests were handled quickly. The complimentary breakfast was fresh and also included a hot breakfast. Only problem was that the hunters had to leave by 6:30 am for a meeting ion the base and this did not leave us much time to enjoy the meal. We also received a discount coupon to a nice pub in town. Would recommend this place for anyone to stay. We had a suite for my so and I. had lots of room to accommodate us and the hunting gear.

It is always a good place to stay. The staff are friendly, and helpful, and can recommend places for dining. The rooms are always clean, and the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast room has something for everyone. I never leave hungry. I think they will even make you a lunch to go. They have an exercise room, pool, and hot top that are always clean, with lots of towels. I always chose Best Western in Wainwright to stay when I am working in the area.

The room was very clean, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and they have all these small touches to make the stay more comfortable - such as snacks in the room. \\ The breakfast is the best Continental of any hotel I have been to. They had little omelettes that even had veggies and what looked like real cheese in them! Staff were always friendly and said Hi all the time. They were responsive when I needed something. The hotel is located directly across the road from a Loblaw store, and in the same parking lot as a Walmart. The room had a microwave and fridge and little kitchen area. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent clean new hotel, staff more than helpful. Allowed us a late check out as one of our family was unwell at no extra cost. Breakfast was really good and pool hot tub very clean. All new modern appliances in rooms. And walking distance to amenities if needed

Staff always go the extra mile to accommodate my work stays. Extremely helpful front desk! I stay here for Business and often have to change my checkout- checkin dates. The staff are always try their best to give me the same room which is really appreciated.

The service was speedy and courteous. Big rave to all the staff who made our vacation one for the memory pages. A rave to Charlie very polite, friendly and appears to be a person that any company in the service industry would benefit from. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality

I was there with my daghter and grandchildren, The pool was nice and warm. The lady that was at the front desk the morning of Oct 11 was very friendly, she was also looking after the dining area, and we had a cleaning lady that got extra paper and pens so each child had 1. Those little things help to make a trip enjoyable.

This was a great hotel near all amenities. Great breakfast buffet with hot items as well. It was a nice walking distance (weather permitting) to a really good restaurant. This restaurant was was advertised on the inside of the elevator door which drew our attention.

Friendly, and helpful staff. It is always clean, has a pool, and hot tub. Exercise room, and the beds are very comfortable. It is easy to find, and located next to Canadian Tire, grocery store next door, and Tim Hortons, and Wallmart close by. I always enjoy my stay here if you have any issues the staff is sure to help with any concerns. There is laundry service if you stay for extended period of time.

This is a normal Best Western; relatively new, clean and in good condition. They gave me free upgrade to exec suite for some reason. Very nice rooms comfortable and clean. People were nice, breakfast was okay. Wi Fi was a little slow for video, otherwise good.

Absolutely lovely hotel- excellent breakfast selection. I'm gluten- free and there was plenty of options for me! The coffee was great and I love how they had flavoured creamers too! The room was very comfortable- best bed I've slept on! Laundry available on site - friendly staff.

We were initially to stay in another hotel but were not happy and decided to try the Best From the moment we stepped in to the lobby and spoke with the front desk person we felt welcomed and informed. The rooms we needed were available. The front desk was able to arrange rooms across the hall from each other. They were large, very clean and well taken care of. The stay included breakfast which was like a small buffet. The ladies kept the food area very clean; so appreciated. The pool and hot tub area were also clean and nice to use. Overall a very good stay; well worth the change in hotels. Would not hesitate to stay again and certainly would recommend it to family & friends

Room where clean and breakfast more than expected for a hotel. We where surprised that their was no problem to find a table to sit for the breakfast The hotel was close to the function that we went to. Sufficient parking even when we arrived later at night.
