    « Pleasantly surprised! »

I had to use up some airmiles so decided to take my fellow away for the weekend. I chose this hotel out of several offered because the reviews were good and I have to say well deserved. The room was bigger than I expected, the sofa and coffee table made for pleasant reading and the kitchen area....yup, kitchen...was nicely stocked with not only a fridge and microwave but also a stove and table with chairs. The bed was satisfactory, a bit soft for my liking but that's personal preference, the staff were friendly and attentive, the location great for us. I'd definitely return.

« Walk to the highlights »

We found this hotel had exceptional staff with rooms much larger than expected. Kitchen facilities and balcony were unexpected additions but made our stay more enjoyable. Good variety and quality for breakfast. Proximity was good within walking distance to Empress Hotel , Fishermans Wharf and and the Town area. Tours to Bucchart Garden leave from close by.

    « wonderful stay »

We stayed a week here whilst on holiday. The room was lovely and spacious, well maintained, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included which was very tasty with a good selection. It was a shame the whirlpool was being refurbished during our stay but we managed without it. Would we stay again, most certainly. The staff were very pleasant and friendly and nothing was a bother for them.

    « Great shower pressure »

Great hotel. Close to the legislature building. I walked over and went on a tour. The staff was friendly. I had a tough time finding a hotel that had in room movies so I gave up. But when I got here they do have a DVD player in the room and a bunch of movies you can borrow from front desk. I thought that was cool. I'll be back just for that reason. Underground parking. Balcony in my room. Right down town close to the water. Shower pressure is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Clean room. Awesome place.

« Good value and location »

Very comfortable room. Centrally located to downtown Victoria. 2 blocks from BC Museum (must see!). Staff here is very attentive and helpful. Full hot breakfast which is one reason I chose this hotel.

    « Nice surprise! »

We stayed here for 2 nights on Best Western and Air Miles reward points so expectations were low. We were treated like full paying guests, The desk staff were helpful and very friendly. Not like many when using points. We ill definitely return.

« Excellent room with view of park, ocean, and ferry »

Best Best Western we have stayed in. My husband and I stayed 3 nights - very clean, convenient, and comfortable. Excellent location for walking around inner harbour and shops. View of inner harbour and ferry. Would recommend highly and hope to return.

« Nice down town Victoria Hotel »

I had a room over looking the pool, the park and could see the Black Ball ferry coming in and going out. Check-in was great, checked in early with no issue, I just want a parking pass so I could walk around. Room was very nice, and clean. Will defiantly stay here again.

    « Inner Harbour Gem »

We always come back to the Best Western Inner Harbour. Have tried other hotels in the area and have found that this property has all the amenities we need. Location, friendliness, and quality of what we need for our stay. The hotel is within walking distance to everything as far as restaurants and entertainment. Would always recommend this hotel even for long stays. Most rooms have kitchens as well as being really spacious.

« Comfy, clean and super convenient location »

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights while traveling around the island. We found the BW Plus to be very comfortable and clean. Our room had a small kitchenette, with a little table and chairs, oven and fridge. Also 2 balconies, both with seating! The bed was very comfortable! We both slept great. In the morning we enjoyed their great breakfast buffet. This location is perfect for walking to the Parliment Building, BC Museum, harbor and shopping. Plus the buses for attractions farther out. All the staff that we encountered were very friendly and helpful. And, we discovered an excellent pub next door at the Days Inn! Called the Belleville. Delicious food in a fun, pub atmosphere, overlooking the harbor.

    « Great location »

The location seemed to be right at the heart of everything. The room was very nice; as it had a very large and comfortable king bed, sofa, and a small kitchen area with a table for two. And it had a balcony with a really good partial view of the harbor. The staff was very helpful and attentive, and I look forward to staying here again sometime.

    5
    « A convenient and excellent hotel. »

The Best Western Inner Harbour hotel is a modern hotel close to downtown. The staff is very friendly and attentive to your needs. At first I thought the room was a little small until I saw the separate kitchen alcove with a small breakfast table.

    5
« Great hotel and great location ! »

This hotel is so close to downtown and the waterfront /fisherman's wharf. About a 17 minute walk to the Odgen Point. It is less than a block away from the Parliament buildings and Embassy Hotel and downtown area. The rooms are comfortable , clean , and great views of the Harbour! Not overall expensive .. and a great complimentary breakfast . No dining area in this hotel , however restaurants are very close.

« Warm welcome and excellent attention to guests' needs. »

Very clean throughout the hotel. Attention to guests' requirements through well considered amenities and equipment. Ample space in the rooms, quiet and well appointed. Things matched in the kitchenette, and were clean. Everything one would need for a stay was provided. Appreciated the local newspapers and maps. The breakfast was well organized with friendly welcoming staff. Good choice of food items.

« Good location, friendly staff »

First impressions are important, and the front desk staff has their act together in that regard. We were warmly welcomed and found the staff friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and, since we didn't need to open the windows, reasonably quiet. Be aware of some a la carte pricing practices here that may seem a bit tacky. Parking in the gated underground garage is an additional $9, and should you wish full use of the kitchen in your room, there is an additional charge for that, too. Having the kitchen is a nice touch; locking the cupboards communicates something that management might not want to communicate. The hot breakfast was a disappointment. We stay frequently at BW Plus properties, and compared to others, this breakfast didn't measure up. For example, the potatoes were undercooked, the "omelettes" overcooked, and "hot" apparently meant "lukewarm" the day we were there. (Yes, even the coffee...) On the positive side, it was complimentary. So in summary, not too bad, but probably not good enough to guarantee brand loyalty the next time we're in town.

« Great place to stay in Victoria »

Centrally situated for all amenities, quiet location, friendly staff, and comfortable room. Plus breakfast included. Happy with our hotel choice. Located on the inner harbour the hotel is within walking distance of all the downtown action.

    « Overall good »

The location of this hotel is great really close to all the good stuff in the harbour. Bed was comfy and they had a fan in the closet which I was pumped about as I love sleeping with that sound. Breakfast everyday was good, and different everyday. Hot tub was nice and hot too bad it want outside. No room service which was one of the only thing we would of liked the one day. Overall worked great for what we needed it for

    5
    « Great Hotel. »

We loved the hotel, it is in the center of all the activities, has a wonderful breakfast and great rooms and walking to anything is not far.The staff is very helpful and will recommend good restaurants which are within walking distance.

« Great smaller hotel with all the bells and whistles!! »

This being out first visit at this hotel, sight unseen...we were super pleased seniors:) Having the little kitchenette nook in our room was a bonus and so appreciated. I was not aware we would have this when I booked it. Beds were comfortable and so clean. I was even able to do our laundry before flying home to New Brunswick!! There were no staff members without a smile on their face, used kind words to each other and to us, told us to have a safe trip home and thanked us for our stay with them! There were no problems with the price we had been quoted! No surprises!!

    5
« Wonderful hotel and location »

Found this hotel to be perfectly placed for walking to the Empress Hotel and downtown. Not a great view, and unfortunately the City decided to dig up the road right behind us but the staff were nice, the room was very comfortable with a balcony. We enjoyed our stay, a little pricey but that's Victoria!

« Very Good Experience - At BW Inner Harbour »

We stayed four nights at the BW Inner Harbour Hotel, just after the Canadian Thanksgiving Holiday. We were not disappointed. Our room was actually a studio suite which had a small kitchen area. In addition, there is a large balcony attached to all of the studio suites. Without question, we found the cleanliness of our room to be second to none, and we travel extensively throughout North America. There is also a full complimentary breakfast each morning. Be sure to arrive early as the breakfast room can become quite crowded. Underground parking is also available for $9.00 per day. I would recommend that all patrons, travelling by car, avail themselves of this facility. In total, we have no hesitation in recommending the Best Western Inner Harbour, Victoria, British Columbia.

    « Great location, so-so hotel »

The location is great, just minutes from the harbour, Parliament buildings, Royal BC Museum, and the Empress Hotel. Rooms, however, are just average, with very small bathrooms. Breakfast wasn't that great either. One day there were no vegetarian options among the hot items except for some weird, extremely salty potato fritters. The other day there were scrambled eggs and hash browns. While I appreciate the fact that they were trying to offer some kind of variety, they should be aware that there are quite a few people nowadays who don't eat meat, and offer more vegetarian options. Staff was nice but couldn't help much when the printer connected to the guest computer in the lobby wouldn't print. Considering the high room rates, I was a bit disappointed in what I received for my dollars.

    « Great Location »

I usually avoid to stay at Best Western due to previous bad experience, but I read a lot of comment on this hotel, and seems this PLUS version is better than standard one. Location is quite good as all tourist spots are within walking distance from the hotel, as the downtown is quite small at Victoria. The hotel itself is like those typical Amercian style, with a bit old fashioned; but the room is large enough with a balcony and a kitchen (however they will charge you if you fully use the kitchen, haha). If you stay at a higher floor, you may have a harbor view to enjoy. The hotel offers car park with a charge, but you may enjoy free over night parking just outside the hotel (till 9 am in the morning). The hotel is value for money, especially the room rate is including the breakfast, although the selection is hardly compare with those in Asia. In North Amercia, you just have to manage your expectation.

« A wonderful stay in Victoria, BC »

We arrived in Victoria via the Victoria Clipper from Seattle. I researched hotels in the harbor area of Victoria and wanted one very close since we planned on walking there with our luggage. There is no shortage of hotels around the harbor; we just had to find one in our price range. The Best Western Harbour was an excellent choice for us. It is just one block from the pier! And the price was one of the best in that prime sightseeing area. They serve a buffet breakfast which had quite a good selection. Of course, the breakfast can't be compared to a made-to-order restaurant meal, but it was one less meal we had to buy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms and breakfast area were spotless. And the bed was very comfy. Our 2 nights there were wonderful. We will stay here again.

    5
    « Downtown Experience »

The Inner Harbor B/W is a great location. It's right next to the Parliament Buildings, and as the name implies, is located in the Inner Harbor area of Victoria. It's within walking distance of the many great points of interest as well as shopping. The hotel has recently gone through renovations which have made it quite attractive, rooms are comfortable and the staff are very friendly. Although the only food/beverage service available is a complimentary breakfast, it's more than acceptable. Plenty of other restaurants and lounges around so that it's not an inconvenience to have to walk. For the downtown/inner harbor area of Victoria, the rates are very reasonable.

    « Not Impressed..... »

Booked a 3 night stay here while visiting Victoria. We decided based largely on reviews read here. I was somewhat disappointed in this stay. The location is good, no doubt, but there were several little things that to me were negatives. First, and I knew this already when we booked... they have no AC. The room does have a fan, and usually the weather is cool....but we did have some 70 degree days that warmed it up a bit. My thought is for what you are paying, I am surprised there is no AC. Second, the room had a small kitchen area with a small fridge. The thing that surprised me is there was a sign that said if you use the kitchenette, you will be charged a $15 cleaning fee for the stay. Really? We didn't plan on using it anyways, but seems ticky tacky to me. Third, there are only ice machines and snack/soda machines in the hotel...one on the first floor and one on the 5th I believe. The first floor soda machine was sold out of everything. If your only gonna have two machines, shouldn't you at least try to keep them stocked? Fourth, the breakfast provided was not good. There was the typical cold selections, along with a pancake making machine I had never seen before (they looked better then they tasted) and most mornings some eggs that looked like they came from a box, greasy bacon, and some sort of potato. Even worse, the eggs, bacon, etc were always luke warm at best. We were traveling for two weeks, and this breakfast was by far the worst we had. As mentioned, these items were not big in themselves, but overall no what you would expect for paying $200+ per night. I would spend a few extra $$ and stay elsewhere if it was me.

    4
    « Perfect Location »

Location was great for exploring the inner harbour and downtown area. We were able to walk everywhere, including the Fisherman's Wharf and Ogden Point breakwater. Rooms were quiet and very clean. Parking was available in the parkade below the hotel but there was an extra cost per night. Breakfast was included with the cost of the room. All basic options were there. They did offer eggs, sausage and potatoes but they were not great!

« Garden room incorrectly named »

We stayed for 2 nights in September whilst travelling in Canada and unfortunately it was by far the worst hotel we stayed at. The car park roof is incredibly low and we were worried about the hire car roof being damaged. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived and the receptionist said she'd call when it was ready, not a problem we left our luggage and went to explore. We never received a call. Our garden room was on the ground floor at the front of the hotel , there was no garden just a few plants and then the car park which meant we couldn't use our balcony. We asked if we could change rooms but were told we couldn't. The room was very noisy from the car park/street and guests using the lifts. It was dark and desperately in need of decorating. We tried breakfast the first morning but there was very little food available, it wasn't very nice, it was very busy and the staff were really grumpy. It is within walking distance of the town centre but so were many other hotels.

« Great place to stay in Victoria »

The location is very close to the Parliament building (2 minute walk). The hotel is easy to spot and it's surrounded by other hotel chains. Check-in and check-out went through smoothly. They charge $9 per night for the parking, and you can go in and out as many times during the day. Their carpark is a bit low, but our Ford Explorer was still able to park, even in P2. The rooms were great. We got 2 queen beds, and it even has a small kitchenette and dining table inside. The beds weren't as comfortable as the other hotels we've been to, but it's still good. We got free breakfast with our room, and it was quite busy in the morning. Overall, we would recommend this hotel for its price and proximity to the major sights in Victoria.

    5
    « a home away from home »

Our room was lovely and very comfortable. We had a corner suite with a king size bed, a comfortable couch, a separate kitchenette and 2 balconies. The location was great and since we were there for 3 nights, it provided a good base for walking to most of the local attractions. Underground parking was convenient and available for our (rental) car at $9 a night. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

    5
    « Great stay »

Good service,we stayed for two days.In september just missed the royals.the breakfast was good Excellent, room great.Just one thing we notice was behind sofa lots of dust. Otherwise we had a great stay Will return.

    5
« Excellent view, great location, friendly staff »

Maybe we were lucky but we were given an end room on the 7th floor. We were above the trees and had a great view of the harbor. We were above any street noise. We were close to the Clipper terminal. There were many good restaurants within walking distance. Many of the sites we wanted to see were within walking distance. Definitely would stay again.

  • 4
    « Great Location »

We enjoyed the view from our 7th floor balcony. Close to the harbour and surrounding points of interest. We walked to the Empress and downtown area along the waterfront - wonderful floral displays and vintage buildings.

    4
    « Great location »

Our room had two very comfortable beds, a small but complete kitchen (at $15 per stay additional) and a lovely balcony with table and chairs outside. My only complaint would be no on-demand tv available and the room was quite stuffy; there was no cooling in the room and we had to use a desktop fan. Staff was very pleasant and friendly.

    5
    « Convenient & comfortable. »

Our main reason for choosing this hotel was its location relative to the "Clipper Terminal", which we intended to use. Although the reception/lounge area provides only modest space our arrival was efficient, friendly and welcoming. We had stopped by to drop off bags before returning our hire car and this was no problem despite being before check in time and our room not yet available. Our room was at the front of the hotel overlooking the road but did not suffer from any intrusive vehicle noise. The room facilities were excellent but be aware that if you take advantage of the full kitchen equipment there is a C$15 additional charge for cleaning. Most of the main tourist attractions are within easy walking distance, adding to the hotels convenience. Breakfast although was adequate and had the benefit of being served early, I noted a number of local alternatives opened much later. We could not fault this hotel and the pleasant staff ensures that we will use it again on our next visit.

    5
    « Perfect location! »

We had a room on the 6th floor with a lovely large balconey .The views were fabulous! The compact kitchen was perfect , even included a teapot! Extremely comfortable beds. The included breakfast was varied each day and it was so nice to be able to take a tray back to our room and enjoy the view from the balcony. All of the staff--front desk, breakfast room, housekeeping-- were friendly, helpful and very professional!! Underground parking was clean, well lit and reasonably priced. We were so happy with our accommodations while enjoying our too short stay in beautiful Victoria! We have already recommended this hotel!

    5
« Well Equipped, Well Maintained, Convenient Location »

This hotel is a little pricier than I was expecting, but that's a truth of the location rather than the hotel itself. All of the hotels in the area are priced at a premium compared to other locations. This hotel is very well equipped. The room was beautiful, had excellent facilities, and a gorgeous view of the harbour. The hotel's common areas were furnished with quality and comfort anywhere you looked. Some areas are a little dated. For example, the "Greek theme" of the hot tub/sauna/steam room area looked like it came from the mid-to-late '90s. The pool was a touch on the small side, but that's not really a big problem. Location-wise, you're just a block from the British Columbia Parliament building, so walking to amenities is extremely easy. There are a wide selection of restaurants, shops, sightseeing, etc. all within a very reasonable walking distance. Traffic is abundant, so perhaps walking is even better than driving in this area. I'll also give a special shout-out to the staff, and especially the front-desk staff. They were all very pleasant and very helpful at all times. It definitely shows that this hotel puts a high value on guest service.

    4
« Great location in Victoria Harbour »

The Best Western Inner Harbour is located right across the road from Victoria Harbour and within walking distance of many restaurants. Although you will pay extra to stay in this location the view from the hotel is beautiful. The rooms are a bit small but do have a kitchenette and patio and the beds are of the softer type and are very comfortable. Breakfast could use some improvement as the eggs, bagels and sausage were dry and the pancakes really didn't taste like pancakes. The hotel has secure underground parking available for an extra charge. I would recommend using it as there are many homeless in the area around the harbour.

    5
    « Good Value »

Very nice, clean and well kept hotel. Enjoyed sitting on the balcony overlooking the harbor. It's nice having a large patio and window that opens. Walking distance to museum and harbor. The breakfast at Best Western is always a plus. Liked the automatic pancake maker!

    5
« Great place on the inner harbour »

This hotel is a very good place to stay. We have stayed here a few times and we are always happy with hotel. The included breakfast is a typical breakfast for this hotel. There waffles hot eggs sausages breads yogurts cereals juice coffee etc. This hotel is a 5 min walk to the imax theatre and the legislature buildings. The ferry to Port is less than 5 minute walk. The Victoria Clipper which is a people only boat that takes you to pier 69 in Seattle is also less that 5 minutes from hotel. There are many restaurants within 10-20 minute walk from this hotel. The staff are very friendly and knowledgable and willing to help you out.

    4
« Good location to everything in the Harbour »

The hotel is good and the staff are great. The premises and rooms are quite clean but the hotel is older. The best factor is its location to everything you want to see in Victoria. Everywhere we wanted to go was within a half hour walk or less. This is the main reason I didn't just give them an average rating. I feel for the age of the building and amenities the prices are a bit high.

    5
    « Great location & comfortable hotel. »

Room was comfortable with a small kitchen and a balcony to sit and enjoy our morning coffee. There was a heated pool & hot tub. Breakfast offered a nice selection. Every member of the staff was great - helpful, friendly & professional. The Hotel is centrally located and a comfortable walk to Victoria attractions, shopping and restaurants.

    « Surprising gem »

My girlfriends and I stayed two nights. We found the room very comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was excellent and the surprise was their refreshing pool set in a beautiful, colorful and private garden. The location was excellent, within walking distance of the inner harbor, museums and shopping. The staff was friendly and helpful. I'd left a couple items in the room and they promptly arranged to mail them to me.

    5
    « Harbor View Victoria »

This is a great hotel. Clean rooms and friendly staff. The location is great for a visit to Victoria, close to all the great attractions. Try to get the 7th floor if you want a view of the Harbor. It isn't that important though as you are only one block away. I'll return to this Hotel.

    5
« Great Hotel, Terrific Location »

Highly recommend this hotel if you go to Victoria, BC. Located within easy walking distance to downtown, wharf and attractions. Rooms spacious and some have small kitchens. Staff is friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

« Poor CS and billing practices »

I've stayed at BEST WESTERN Plus Inner Harbour a dozen times over the years and appreciated the pleasant accommodations and excellent location. Unfortunately, we had to cancel our August 1, 2016 reservation and did so a full two days in advance. We thought all was well until I noticed my credit card was billed for the full amount despite my cancellation within the official cancellation window. I don't know what the problem was?employee error or a computer glitch?but I was billed. Mistakes happen but what separates good hotels from the bad is how customer service fixes such issues. I called Best Western Customer Service and got zero help so I emailed BEST WESTERN Plus Inner Harbour through their corporate system. Sadly, I didn't receive a reply--not even a form letter--so, after a couple weeks, called my credit card company to complain of dishonest billing and to dispute the charges. Needless to say, I won't be staying at BEST WESTERN Plus Inner Harbour again.

« Great accomodation, great location, great service. »

This was our first visit to Victoria and we chose a Best Western because of our great experience with others in the chain. On arrival we were greeted by Lee and checked in quickly and efficiently and made to feel very welcome. The room was great and had everything we needed including a fridge which we find very useful. The breakfasts were complimentary and were good, the staff assisting were so friendly and helpful. Our room had a balcony, as did most others I think, and we sat out and soaked up the sun while enjoying our beverages and watching the world go by. Underground parking was good to have although exploring Victoria did not need a car as we were so close to everything, being right by the harbour. We were given excellent advice by the staff as to where to get good, reasonably priced evening meals. Our stay was most enjoyable and we will definitely be staying there again when we next visit Victoria.

    4
« Very comfy bed, nice room... »

This has all the amentities you would expect in a smaller property (compared to some those nearby) a block off the harbour. We booked a King room 'residential view' and wound up with a kitchenette on a corner with windows and balcony's on two sides. The property is well maintained and the room was appealing with golden hued wallpaper and drapery. The only slight disadvantage is a lack of in-house restaurant, but with the selection of places to eat nearby, you would have to be mired in work and unable to spend an hour or so and walk to one of many nearby eateries.

« Great location but Customer Service is POOR »

I've stayed at BEST WESTERN Plus Inner Harbour a dozen times over the years and appreciated the pleasant accommodations and excellent location mere minutes from Victoria's Inner Harbour.

« The only place to stay.... »

This was our second time here and it is perfect! The location cannot be beat..and the staff are so nice and helpful. I would not stay anywhere else. If you can, get a room overlooking the harbor. You can drive in park and never get in your car again if you want. Everything is in walking distance. If you like you can walk on the ferry and this hotel is about 3 blocks from the terminal...easy walk! I can't say enough good things about this place!!!

    « Great location! »

We stayed at the Best Western Plus on our way home from our road trip honeymoon to Canada. Location was perfect, close to waterfront, and tourist attractions, etc. We only stay one night and we hope to come back so we have time to visit the Butchart Gardens. Parking is only $9 per night, so that was great. We booked a garden view room and it was a nice sized room with a small kitchen and even a bit of a water view. We would recommend this hotel to friends and family. It was very clean!

« Nice hotel in a great location. »

Stayed 2 nights with family and booked two rooms. One bed suite and one king bed. Nice comfy hotel. Nice amenities in rooms including bathrobes. Bathrooms are a bit outdated. The suite had a huge living room and the kitchen. Staff was friendly. However hotel is not air conditioned. Luckily that was not an issue as there were fans in the rooms and the weather was quite pleasant. Breakfast was just average. Overall the stay was enjoyable

    « 1st Class Accommodations »

We were there for 4 nights recently and the room was very nice, clean, and had a nice balcony. Would have loved one facing the harbor, but those rooms were taken. It was so near the harbor we walked there with our luggage from the ferry. Just over a block away. The bed was the most comfortable bed as were the pillows. The room had a full kitchen but if you cooked in it there was an additional cost. Everyone at the front desk was really helpful, from recommending restaurants to cheerfully calling cabs for us. We were very pleased. I would stay there again.

    « Downtown Victoria BC »

Very close to down town activities, within walking distance to harbor and docks. Great place to be located if you want to just park your vehicle and walk. But be careful of the parking garage. Low ceiling height. Only 6'6" on the first level, even lower after that and very tight. Not a good place for a pickup truck.

    5
    « Great Location! »

Loved this hotel. I have stayed in four hotels in the Inner Harbor and Best Western Plus is best! Great location close to Victoria Clipper, Coho, and easy walk to all the attractions and charm of Victoria. The beds are comfortable. We had a small kitchen. We walked to a store for snacks a few blocks away plus a wine store next door! Nice breakfast each morning. We will definitely stay here again! The staff is very helpful which made our stay pleasant.

    « A most comfortable stay »

The hotel is central to the harbour and sightseeing. We were warmly welcomed and found our room very comfortable and quiet. Parking in the secure garage is also very reasonable. The complementary breakfast was excellent.

    « Bad booking »

Made a reservation sept. 7 for October 8 checking out October 9th. The customer service rep booked us in for sept. 8 checking out sept. 9. Imagine my surprise to get an online survey to ask how our stay went. According to the rep I spoke with today they did not make a mistake but we did. We were charged for the room and zero chance of reimbursement. Considering that we were asked to join the rewards plan, I would think the customer is right and best western would make an effort to keep us happy. I will suck this one up but will never stay at this chain ever, ever again. I'm pretty sure the mistake was on their part but it's my word against theirs. I even repeated the days of the person who booked. This is not a good way to keep loyalty in customers.

« Great location and friendly staff »

The location was great - near to everything but on a quiet street. Close to restaurants, shopping and in a very "walkable" area. We took the bus into Victoria from the ferry and were able to walk to the hotel from the terminal. The room was very comfortable and had a kitchen with fridge, stove, pots and pan if you want to cook (small fee for full use of kitchen). The staff were friendly and helpful with directions and suggestions of where to eat. The little breakfast room (free breakfast is included with room booking) was handy and the variety of food was fine. I enjoyed being able to go for breakfast without having to leave the hotel. I would definitely stay here again. If you are looking for a comfortable hotel with a reasonable rate then I would recommend this Best Western Plus Inner Harbour Hotel.

« Great hotel and location »

My 3-night stay at the BW Inner Harbor Hotel was perfect for me. Room was extremely clean, bed and linens great. Had all the amenities I wanted. I had reserved the room early and I got a 7th floor room with balcony with a wonderful harbor view. Couldn't have been any nicer. Location is great. I could walk everywhere. I'm a senior woman who spent 3 nights in Victoria prior to joining a tour. I felt safe at all times, even walking around the harbor at night enjoying the city lights. I'd stay at the same place if I visit Victoria again.

    « Such a great hotel »

This not our first time here ,we have stayed 4 other times and the reason is, it is a great location, the rooms are awsome and they have a good breakfast, The staff are always pleasant and helpful. I think the value to have breakfast included is well worth it. it is a short walk to the inner harbour and all the attractions. we will return and possibly try for a room on the seventh floor facing the inner harbour, this time they gave us a room on the side so we could see part of it and wanted more.

    5
    « Great Location »

Great location within walking distance of most everything. (for those who don't know the gardens are about 15 miles out of town). But, other than the gardens, this is a perfect location nd a great value.

« Nice hotel great location »

We needed a hotel close to the ferry terminal as we dropped the truck off in the line up the night before our voyage. That meant walking to the terminal at 4:30 the next morning. All hotels in this location are more expensive but for the price of a room across the street we got a suite at the BW. Very nicely decorated and well laid out all it was missing was air conditioning. The fans kept us cool though and not many of the hotels in Victoria have a/c. The staff were great and the terminal was a short block away!

    « A perfect experience »

Another extremely enjoyable visit. This is a very well run hotel with splendid rooms. Some, like ours on the seventh floor, have a great view over the Inner Harbour. The breakfast room has improved with each visit and now offers a good choice of hot &/or continental breakfasts with plenty of extras. There is plentiful, secure parking along with a very nice outdoor pool and spa area.

    5
    « Great value »

Enjoyed our stay here and would come back. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They even had umbrellas by the front door to use which came in handy. The free breakfast was good with many choices. The heated pool was great! Really warm. Also enjoyed the hot tub. The hotel is very clean and pretty, also a good value. Within walking distance of all the local attractions, we never had to rent a car. Nothing bad to say about it!

    5
    « GREAT LOCATION »

We just had to park our car and did not have to move it as everything we wanted to see: Museum, IMAX, Parliament Buildings and restaurants were within walking distance from the Best Western. Thus, my husband who is the driver also enjoyed his holiday.

« Great hotel in a great location! »

We stayed at the BW Plus Inner Harbour for two nights, but wished we had booked for longer. We specifically booked this hotel for its location, amenities (specifically the pool) and the complimentary breakfast. This hotel is in a great location within walking distance to many sights and activities. Our room was on the second floor facing the park. At first I was concerned about noise as I usually like to be on a higher floor, but the room was extremely quiet. The room was quite warm if the sliding glass door was closed as we were experiencing a heat wave in Victoria while we were there. However, if the sliding door was open, the room would quickly cool down from the breezes. The kids loved swimming in the outdoor pool. There is also a hot tub, steam room and sauna. There was a good variety at breakfast, and we had no problem each morning finding a table, even during their peak breakfast hours. Parking was in a secure underground lot and cost only $9 (which I thought was well priced considering that we were downtown). The front desk, housekeeping and breakfast attendants that we interacted with were all friendly, professional and courteous. On the morning of check-out, we were able to leave our car parked in the underground for a few hours as we were going to walk over to the Royal BC Museum. We definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again on our next visit!

    « A Great Stay »

The staff at Best Western Inner Harbour, Victoria, BC made this trip all the better. They were friendly, patient and very courteous. The facilities were clean and relatively up to date. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Victoria, BC because we stayed here. Needless to say, the location was a bonus. Thank you!!!

« Convenient, and newly redecorated »

Located close to the action - the BC Museum with IMAX, the harbor, the legislature and other attractions. We stayed in a newly refurbished suite. The room was clean and nice, parking was underground and secure, reasonable exercise room, steam room, outdoor and dry sauna complimented our stay. The breakfast was very good, and the staff was excellent!

    4
« A quiet spot close to the waterfront activity »

My daughter and I stayed for one night after driving the east coast from a ferry landing. Parking was convenient and safe in the underground garage. Breakfast was tasty. The only downside of this hotel in the midst of summer is the lack of air conditioning during a humid week. There was an oscillating fan in the room on the desk in front of the beds, and it was barely sufficient for cooling. For greatest comfort, I would suggest staying at this nice location in other than humid months. I would definitely visit again in another season.

    5
    « Nice Hotel »

This was a great hotel in a great location to the inner harbor area. The room was clean and bright, plus we were pleasantly surprised by a nice breakfast included. They have a washer and dryer there and a nice informative staff. We walked to inner harbor within 15 minutes and you can pick up transportation there.

    « Great Location »

Our family of four stayed here for one night. This hotel is so well situated, right in the Inner Harbour so within walking distance of the harbour, Fisherman's Wharf, The Empress Hotel and Parliament. The free breakfast is amazing with a huge selection of eggs, bacon, breads, bagels, pancakes, muffins and much more. It gets busy so we had to wait 5 minutes for a table for our family. We had an issue with our room with a clogged bathroom sink, no body lotion in the canister, shampoo not coming out of dispenser and patio door that wouldn't close. The customer service was amazing with the person at the front desk coming to unclog our sink at 10pm and the manager adjusting our bill in consequence. It showed that they care about their guests. Would recommend this hotel.

    5
« nice rooms and good sleep »

From the front desk to the cleaning staff the hotel is very clean and well kept. I have stayed here every year for the past three years and will again. It is within walking distance to so many attractions but is very quiet.

    « Wouldn't stay anywhere else! »

When in Victoria this is the best place to stay. You can walk easily anywhere downtown, close to many restaurants and right on the inner harbour. The free breakfast is a wonderful bonus. The staff are very pleasant and happy. We just couldn't see ourselves staying anywhere else.

« Great Hotel in Victoria BC »

We always stay at BW when there is one at our destination. This one in Victoria BC was wonderful. Great beds and amazing staff. Breakfast room had a pancake machine! Just one block from the ferry with a great view of The Empress Hotel and the harbor.

    « Wonderful getaway »

Spent a few days during the week here. No a/c but the breezy nature of Victoria made it a non issue. Beautiful rooms and amenities. Close to everthing you want to see and if not a harbour taxi awaits across the road. Enjoyed ourselves immensely. Will be returning as soon as we can :)

« Great location and spacious room for 3 adults »

We traveled to Victoria for the weekend with our adult daughter. Booked Deluxe Studio with Two Queen beds, Park View, with balcony. We were very happy with the size of the room (#409) and the balcony and the location near the Parliament, fisherman's wharf, and inner harbor. Enjoyed two good dinners at Bard and Banker and Pagliaccis and a fun lunch at Spinnakers. We were traveling from Bellingham so took the Tsawwassen -Schwartz Bay ferry, very easy and recommend advance reservations. Able to see Butchart Gardens the last day before catching the ferry.

    « Beautiful Victoria »

Front desk personnel were great and friendly! The hotel is located in a covenient part of the town to all attractions and the ferry system. Rooms are just the right size for four people. There was no air conditioner, but the natural air when you open your window and sliding door was way better than the autofficial air. Beds were comfortable and rooms and bathrooms were clean. There were a variety of items to choose from the free breakfast offered; go early as the seats are filled by 0800. They had eggs, potatoes, meats, oatmeal, pancake, muffins, toast, fresh fruits, yogurt, coffee, juices, hot chocolate, etc. The hotel's parking was reasonable as well if you have a car, but one would not need a car in Victoria. I will stay here again on my next visit to Victoria.

We had enjoyed our stay in the 2 bedroom Penthouse Suite. I was on holidays with my family and my sisters family. The suite had such beautiful views and room suite for our families to move around without bumping into each other. The only complain is the girls didn't find the sofa bed comfortable. The springs we on their back all night. But it was a wonderful 7 days at the Best western. Thanks

    « Victoria July 2016 »

We stayed at the Best Western Inner Harbour hotel due to its location and availability to many amenities. The trip was planned around Whale watching and a few other walking attractions. The room was well kept, clean and comfortable. The amenities and internet service all worked without any problems. Checking in and out was simple and trouble free. The Breakfast room was clean and the choices for breakfast varied over the three days we were there. Thoroughly enjoyable.

    « great stay »

This hotel has an excellent location ( restaurants, harbour, sites, museum) , excellent parking. Though we were checking out at 11:00, we were able to leave our vehicle in the underground parkade for the entire day while we toured the sites on foot. The thing that stood out is all staff front desk, kitchen, housekeeping were exceptional and very friendly. Front desk gal recommended a great restaurant and got us a reservation the first night. Only downside, no air conditioning, however, we requested an extra fan and the open patio window and constant breeze was enough. No a/c required during our stay. We were a trio of adults but a lot of families here and noticed there is a cute little pool in the back. Lobby has two computers and a printer. Handy for purchasing our tickets to sites and printing them to save time in line ups. We always like Best Western because also not far to go for coffee and good breakfast.

« BEST WESTERN - INNER HARBOUR, VICTORIA BC »

Have stayed here numerous times and will stay again. Great downtown and harbour location. Good underground parking and attentive staff. No restaurant/pub, however, a good one at an adjacent competing hotel chain. One observation during this particular stay - Although in the past, we enjoyed the breakfast - However, at this time, some "hot" food was cool, and the room overcrowded. The only saving grace for this breakfast was the hustle of the staff! Nevertheless, we will return!!

    5
    « Wonderful hotel »

We stayed for 2 nights and loved the hotel's location and ambiance very much. The view of the harbor was wonderful and sleeping with the patio door open to the cool breeze was fabulous for us Texans! We could walk everywhere and found that to be a big bonus. The real drip coffee pot in the room was a seemingly small amenity to some but important to me. The front desk delivered one to us and I appreciated that service a lot! We also love the small homey touches this Best Western provides guests including: glass wine glasses, China coffee mugs and little kitchenette among a few. The outdoor balcony to watch the harbor sunrise is spectacular too. Having a glass of wine out on the balcony while watching the boats and sea planes was fun too. The only downside is the occasional annoying noise of back-up trucks at the multiple construction sites nearby. Also, trimming the trees by the harbor would enhance the view.

    « Best Family Vacation!! »

We wanted to stay somewhere close to the Inner Harbour. Close to sights, shops, restaurants - walking distance; but we didn't want to pay the really high bucks. What a fantastic find!!! A great room - two Queen beds, a kitchenette (extra $15 if you want full use of it - but that's for extra cleaning and worth it!!), a great balcony overlooking a park and the Inner Harbour. Sat out every morning having coffee and every evening before bed - just to wind down! Perfect for a glass of wine after a busy day!! And then there is the breakfast - complimentary hot breakfast every morning!! Can't go wrong there!! Great selections - eggs, sausage bacon, hash browns....pancake machine, variety of breads, bagels, muffins...and the fruit salad!! Oh was that good!!! The staff - amazing!!! Friendly and helpful!!! There is a small pool and a good sized seating area poolside. We entertained some friends here and it was great sitting among the lovely flowers and plants! Love this place. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone and will definitely stay here again!!!

    « Convenient Location »

The lobby is clean and bright and the desk staff were welcoming and helpful. There is underground parking available at a price if you need it. We had a room on the 7th floor, which had a balcony and a partial view of the harbour, very nice, apart from the fact that there was construction work on the harbour, so it did get noisy. The room was clean and very spacious, with a kitchen and dining area. You are only 5-10 minutes walk away from a number of attractions :- the inner harbour, the B C Museum, carriage rides, Parliament Buildings and Thunderbird Park. The breakfast was ample, but the dining area small. This is the first time we have stayed here on our visits to Victoria and would make it our first choice when we return.

« Victoria Hospitality at its Best!!! »

Where do you begin when everything about this trip was an A+ vacation? Our son played baseball for the Victoria Harbourcats baseball team last season, and insisted we go this summer to see his home-away-from-home...smart kid! The BW Plus Harbour Inn was absolutely fantastic! From the minute we checked in until we stepped out the door to reluctantly leave Victoria, every person on the staff was so wonderful! They were friendly, helpful, accommodating in every way. We were acknowledged every time we walked out the door to shop and explore; we were greeted every time we returned. We loved them all, but we want to give a special "salute" to Jan in the dining room. She took wonderful care of our family of four at each and every breakfast (Free with stay and yummy with lots of choices!). We love you, Jan! Our two-queen room was just big enough for all four of us, with a nice separate kitchen nook with everything we would need. We had a partial harbor view room which made sitting on the balcony drinking tea a very pleasant and relaxing time. The room was spotless, the housekeeping service was A-1, and the houskeepers always greeted us with a smile. We never had to wait for anyone at the front desk, as there were always two or three staff there. All of them awesome! One thing we noticed at this hotel: The walls are NOT paper thin and they must be well-insulated, because in a full house, we NEVER heard any noise from other rooms. Loved that! The location is exceptional! Things look farther away on the map than they really are. It took us about 3 minutes to walk straight up the street from the Clipper terminal and there we were! An easy walk to food, shopping and fun...unless you do it ten times a day like we did!! :) Now...the ONE and ONLY con: No air conditioning! It was warm weather, and it would have been nice, but we were able to make due with the provided fan in the room, and we could SAFELY leave our deck door open to the screen all night without any worry. We have stayed in many hotels over the years and this is the new Number One on our list. The grounds are gorgeous, too, if you happen to get a garden view room. You cannot miss at this place! Most highly recommended without hesitation! I'm running out of space, but not great things to say. The wife and I want to go back again before summer is over if we can. STAY HERE! You will not be sorry! The Suing Family

« Special Experience For Out of Town Guests »

My wife and I, along with my son and his family who were visiting from Charlotte N.C. had the pleasure of enjoying the full ambience and amenities of this Best Western property last week. The staff were very pleasant and attentive to all our needs at all times and the rooms were spotless and very appealing in every respect. The grand kids loved the jets in their bath tub and made full use of the whirl pool on the lower level of the hotel. There was a nice little swimming pool outside but the weather wasn't conducive to going in for a dip while we were there. We had two rooms , one with a view of the harbor & park and the other looking out onto a quiet residential area and both were A1 in my view. Parking charge was very reasonable and the continental breakfast had something for everyone! The location of the hotel is ideal for those that wish to meander down to the Inner harbor or Fisherman's wharf and it is only 15 minutes from the down town core. I personally have stayed in a number of Best Western hotels over the years and this one rates up there with the very best of them. We will be back again in the future. DAVE FREEMAN

« Great location, upgraded room »

I chose this hotel because we were coming in on one boat and leaving on another. It is very convenient to the inner harbor esp. the Coho Ferry. They let us check in early, and we were upgraded to a deluxe studio. While we didn't use the kitchen it was great to have windows on two sides. We could see the legislative building from one of our balconies. The room was spacious as was the bathroom. Breakfast was great and served for several hours.

« Verify your reservation before getting there. »

Got the confirmation in email to see that they booked us as 2 adults and not 4. Replied to that email to let them know there will be 4 adults. a day later I got confirmation but with a room rate increase. Get to the hotel and they had us in the wrong room. Had asked for a room/suite with 2 double/queen beds. They stuck us in a suite with one bed and a pull out couch. Gave us the option to find another hotel for accommodations, We asked if they could call some of the neighbouring hotels and they told us they could not do that. Went next door to the Days Inn and if they had a room for us we would have moved over to there. The desk clerk at the days in called about a dozen hotels for us, but no luck. The suite (PH) was nice but pricey. Very clean and the free WiFi was great with an AP right in the suite. Breakfast buffet included. Views were great also.

« Great location, clean room, good breakfast and great service! »

My family visited Victoria, BC during the last week of June 2016 and stayed at BW Plus Inner Harbour. We loved particularly the location as it was walking distance to the harbor, Parliament, shops, restaurants and Beacon Hill Park. Accessibility wise, it was perfect! The room was clean and complete with mini-kitchen (with fridge, microwave, cooking range and kitchen utensils). It was helpful for us when boiling water, reheating and storing food. The service of the staff was excellent both at the reception and dining area. The free breakfast was great! My only concern (not for us actually but for customers coming in summertime) was the rooms do not have AC. We opened the sliding door leading to the balcony to improve air circulation. Overall, I was fully satisfied with this hotel and will recommend it to anybody who is visiting Victoria!

    « Good location »

As I'm sure you've read in many reviews this hotel is in a great location to the actual harbor. Just a block away. One thing it's not in a great location to is a convenience store or supermarket so if you need anything for your room grab it while you're out (this has nothing to do with the hotel, just happens to be nothing around). They do have bottles of water for sale for 50 cents each which is a great price. The room - nice and clean. I was on the city view side, probably because I paid with points, and it was a bit noisy in the mornings as we slept with the door open to let the air flow in (again, no fault of the hotel, just an observation). You only had use of parts of the kitchen but you could use the whole kitchen for a $15 a night fee. I've never seen this at a Best Western before, I've stayed in other ones with kitchenettes and you just either used it or you didn't. A bit of an extra money grab I thought. The pool - we didn't actually swim but went to check it out. Small and not very deep. Only a couple of loungers around, a few more would be nice. We were going to go a couple of times but they few they had were always full and we didn't want to sit on the ground. The breakfast - an assortment of hot and cold items. Although the food was pretty much the same as any Best Western, which is good, I found it started a bit late (6:45 am) which is a bit of an odd time. Others I've stayed in started around 6:00 am. The staff - the majority of the staff I ran into were quite pleasant with the exception of one. It was my first morning and went downstairs at 6:00 am, thinking this is when breakfast started, this is when I found out it didn't. I asked him if there was anyway I could just get a drink of apple juice, without even looking up from his computer he said no. I asked if there was anything, again without looking up he said coffee around the corner. I asked if there was some juice I could purchase, not looking, he said no I have water but you can go to the vending machine but it's not working properly. I didn't bother mentioning this there as the annoyance passed later. (sorry for this rant but it annoyed me) I'm a diamond member of the Best Western rewards program and not that it matters as the staff should treat everyone the same which in most cases they do, but I had to mention this person as you never now who you are talking to so treat everyone the same then everyone will be happy with the service. Overall, I would stay here again without issue. The price was very good for the location in town and mostly friendly staff. A recommendation I would make thought it to have a little snack area that you can purchase drinks, snacks, etc so guests don't have to walk 10 to 15 minutes to get these items. Other Best Westerns I stayed at offered this and it was nice. Another thing this one didn't have as others did was a welcome snack at the front desk, another nice touch after a day of travelling.

« Mountain views or Harbour views? Pros and Cons. »

This hotel is located in a very nice and convenient part of Victoria and just a short walk to the waterside harbour area. My room was on the top floor (7th Floor) facing the harbour. You can actually see quite good water views despite the trees blocking some of the view. I decided to accept the $20 upgrade for a harbour view room. It was worth it, really nice to sit on your balcony and watch the harbour bustle with water taxis, float planes, and ferries. On the other hand, the top floor rooms facing the other side of the building offer a quiet street with distant views of the Olympic mountains. I think next time I will get the room on the mountain side, now that I have already seen the harbour side. The harbour side rooms have the problem of homeless drunks yelling at night, in the park below. Looking at past TA reviews, since 2009, this has gone on, still unresolved by local council, and is something beyond the hotel's control. The room itself was classic style, 2 x queen beds - very comfortable and housekeeping did an excellent job of keeping the room and linen fresh and clean. There was a small separate kitchenette tucked around the corner, and you could sit at the table and watch the activity around the Empress hotel. Rooms do not have an airconditioner. The free WiFi and TV was great - the usual Shaw cable. I thought the front desk staff were friendly and courteous, and made my stay a pleasure. I think I got good value for my money at this hotel considering the nice room in a fantastic location, free breakfast and underground parking for$9 a day.

« Good location, lovely setting. »

Beautifully decorated room with super comfy enormous bed. Our room was on the ground floor with a little patio surrounded by flowers and trees. Staff were friendly and whole hotel was spotless and lovely foyer and sunny breakfast room, with breakfast included in the price, always a good thing. Hotel is halfway between the centre of the inner harbour and fisher mans wharf and walking distance to both, or even more fun, a cute little water taxi will get you around. On the advice of the front desk staff, we chose a whale watching tour which was a highlight of our whole trip to Canada.

My Husband and I spent 3 nights here the last week in June 2016. We loved this placed !!!!! The views from our balcony overlooked the inner harbor, just gorgeous !!! We were a 2 minute walk from our Motel to the inner harbor. The street is lined with horse drawn carriages and beautiful mature trees. Easy access and walking distance to town. The front desk was very helpful and friendly. And their breakfasts have a variety of eggs, fresh fruit, cereals, pancakes, toast, Bagels, Etc... We loved this place and will definitely be back !!!

    « Great Location »

I have not read other reviews about this Hotel and it's services. I was trying to attend Victoria on business and couldn't find 1-2 rooms for 3 people for 2 nights. At the last minute, associates from Ottawa called me and couldn't book a room anywhere. That event occured the night before I departed. I was only able to secure 1 room for 2 people and was able to put others on a waiting list. I brought my own sleeping bag in case no other room became available. By 10 am the next morning prior to arrival, all 5 from my group received verbal and email confirmation about their secured rooms for 2 nights! Unbelievable. Best Western doesn't know about the aforesaid disclosure. I couldn't find another hotel more accommodating than the Best Western Inner Harbor Victoria, BC. Canada. They handled our needs because their motto is to strive to be proficient. (I might add Osoyoos Best Western also strives and excels to do the same). My 5 associates were most pleased. In fact, I spoke to at least 50 co-travellers residing at the same location. My associates met many more. We didn't know the co-travellers before we arrived. It was blissful, and a no worry event because all the staff were perfect at accommodating all our needs. From the room attendants, restaurant staff, and many other staff members, thank you very much! Great facilities too. It doesn't matter if you are street side, or the harbor view side. Why? You are a brisk short walk to the Parliament Building, sea walkway, Museums, Tours of any nature or kind, etc. More importantly there are so many exhilarating view points If you have a physical or disability ailment, just tell them in advance of your journey. They strive to accommodate you as a customer. It's all about Best Western's friendly service from the get go, and all the way thru your journey! Their staff will go out of their way to provide the service you need. Most travellers are impatient and too demanding. Why? Simply put! The traveller doen't listen to their Best Western Agent while the agent is politely dealing with several others at the same time. The entire staff want your feedback all the time. They go out of their way to ask the traveller if they need anything. Robin A majority of travellers at Best Western enjoy sharing their daily exeriences with each other. The Best Western staff do too. Talk to them and you'll learn more about the surroundings.

« Best Western Inner Harbour Victoria »

Satisfactory standard and well located to the Victoria Waterfront and tourist sites. Room was good size and facilities suitable for "tourists". Staff were friendly and check in and check out process easy. Breakfast which was included, was of a good standard but the breakfast room gets congested so you need to get in before the crowd.

« Great place for Winter stay »

If you travel to Victoria in the winter, I recommend this Best Western. If your plans are for summer stay, then bring along your air conditioner, as there is only an electric fan to move the hot air around. Also be very wary if the hotel staff pumps you with "we put you on the 5th floor". Our room faced the harbor side but the only view was of the trees and the homeless camping below our window. To further compound this room as a poor choice was being across from the elevator and the noise created by people waiting for it. Told the front desk about it and the response was "sorry about the noise". The breakfast was above average, with something for everyone. The room had an extra perk of a kitchen nook, and during quiet mornings, a pleasant place to sit, eat and plan your day. Underground parking is reasonably priced and secure but a bit tight for maneuvering your car. Overall, the staff was extremely pleasant and agreeable, which made the stay a plus.

« Centrally located for Inner Harbour and Fisherman's Wharf »

The bed and sleeper sofa were comfortable. Balcony view of Fisherman's Wharf. Construction in the area was not a problem. We were two (2) blocks away from the Royal BC Museum which we enjoyed with our grandchildren. There is a Food Truck area behind the Museum where we enjoyed lunch before heading to the Sydney Ferry terminal. We were one block away from the Capital building where we took a free 30 minute guided tour. Parking in the area is expensive, but BW only charged $9 per day. Great central area for the inner harbour. We used the small heated outdoor pool and the indoor whirlpool and dry Sauna. The steam room was not functional during our stay, but nice to have available. The fitness room looked nice too, but we did not use. Breakfast was nice fresh fruit bowl, bananas, apples, sausage, plain egg omelet, fried potatoes, one minute pancake machine, assorted breads for toast, scones and muffins, juices, yogurt, cereals, hard boiled egs, coffee. We were satisfied with a great breakfast to start the day. Breakfast staff was great and busy keeping food suppled during rush. Available 6:30am-10am. We would return again if in the area.

« Location and Fine Service »

From the moment you are greeted with a smile to the detailed service you receive you just know you have picked a winer when you stay here. Right o the inner harbor. Underground secure parking at a reasonable rate. Excellent rooms. A fine breakfast buffet included in the room rate. Coffee and tea available 24/7.

    « Room with a view »

Have stayed here about 6 times before. This time we were there for 7 nights at 50% discount because of problems the last. Kayla was great at check in. Luxurious lobby, very clean and modern entrance. Room was on the 7th floor overlooking harbour. Housekeepers very friendly and accommodating, Very comfortable bed and nice kitchen facilities. Now for the flip side. The breakfast room is too small, disorganized, with poor quality choices to eat. Staff need to be trained properly. Although we had a great harbour view, it came at a price, (no not $$$) but sleep deprivation, noise and stench of Harbour float planes fuel upon takeoff. Add to that the homeless park right below our window (pictures included) which featured drunken fights and yelling during the night and sing songs during the day. Windows are poor quality and may as well not have been there. Our room was quite dated - it should have been as updated and flashy as the lobby!

« Great location and breakfast »

Nice little kitchen in standard room, short walk to inner harbour, empress hotel & parliament buildings. Really close to everything. Most rooms have balconies. One side faces a little park but a number of homeless people sleep in it during the warmer weather.

« Nice balcony with view of the harbor but hot breakfast was mediocre »

Spent two nights with the grand kids in a junior suite with the harbor view. The room was nice but fairly tight quarters for the four of us with our luggage. We were on the sixth floor. There is no air conditioning but they do have a portable fan that worked okay. The free breakfast was okay for the cold items but the hot items were not good: turkey sausage was especially unappealing and the scrambled eggs tasted like they were made from powdered eggs.

    « Waterfront Hotel »

We were looking for a clean and affordable waterfront hotel in Victoria. The first night we stayed at the Days Inn which was a HUGE mistake! Overpriced and terrible! I looked out the window and saw the Best Western right next door and immediately booked a room for the following night. Best decision ever! The Best Western is clean and comfortable. The staff are very professional and friendly and the price was reasonable for a waterfront hotel. *Tip* ask for a room facing the water not only for the view but to limit the noise from the street. The only complaint we have about this hotel is that there was no air conditioning. Subsequently, we slept with the window open but since we were facing the street, my husband (who is a light sleeper) was woken up numerous times throughout the night.

    « Great location »

For the price this was a very good choice. The location couldn't be better. Near the harbour and Empress hotel and other attractions. The included breakfast was quite good as well. The room was spacious but a little tired with a few repairs needed.

« Great place and centrally located. »

This was the perfect hotel for us. It was close to the Victoria Clipper dock and we could pretty much walk to anywhere we wanted to visit. The rooms were comfortable and we loved sitting on the balcony to drink our tea. The room even has a small kitchenette if you wish to use it. The staff was very engaging and helpful.

    5
    « Great experience »

This hotel was centrally located and we could walk to almost of the places that we wanted to visit. We enjoyed the comfort of the room and especially the balcony overlooking the small park. It was spacious and even had a small kitchenette if you wanted to use it. The breakfast provided was varied and enjoyable. The staff was always helpful, looking up things for us and giving us information. They always greeted us no matter how busy they were and always had a friendly farewell whenever we left the hotel. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough and we will definitely use it again.

« Annual visit to Victoria, where we visit family, do some site seeing and go out to eat. »

This is a very nice hotel, we enjoyed our stay, our rooms were clean, and always made up and tidied nicely. There were just a few slight hitches. Room noise can be a bit of a problem, and we found that the room did smell stale when we came but that did better itself afterwards. We found that the breakfast in the morning, (even at different times) is chaotic, crowded, and although some of the food is good like muffins/juice/coffee/fruit, the other food like the eggs are tasteless, the hash browns were chalky, and the toaster never seemed to be set properly, either to high to burn, or not toasted at all. Would we come back, yes, this was our second stay, and we do like the location, it is within walking distance of so much to see and do.

    5
    « Recommend staying here »

We choose this hotel because we would be walking to all the places in downtown Victoria and Inner Harbour area so were not disappointed in that regard (also close to Fisherman's Market). Our room was A1, as was the hotel in general. Breakfast left some things to be desired (mass produced products? blah machine-made pancakes), but we got enough to eat to have a good start for each day. Best of all--the staff (including housekeeping) was always smiling and helpful.

    4
    « Always consistently good »

Fair price, helpful employees and good location. Convenient to have Restaurant/bar in the hotel or near the hotel. Enjoy having coffee in the room. When traveling i always look for a B/W in the location of my trip.

    5
« Comfortable and Great Location »

We enjoyed our stay. Everything in the room worked fine, including the internet, which can be hit or miss in some hotels. The location is along the hop on, hop off bus route (the London double decker red bus goes every hour) so we left our car in the parking garage the entire stay and either walked or rode the bus. There is no air conditioning, but we didn't need it. We requested a quiet room away from the harbor noise and traffic which allowed us to sleep with the patio door open at night.

« My Home In Victoria »

My family and I go to Victoria at least twice a year. Before we decided to try the Best Western Plus Inner Harbour, we use to stay at the Empress but the Empress was a bit pricey and it did not have a kitchenette. So, we tried the Best Western Plus Inner Harbour. For the past few years, we've been coming back to this hotel. It has a kitchenette. It's close to everything and the main reason why I keep coming back here is the staff. I could choose to stay at any hotel I want but this hotel has a great staff that I just fell in love with. They are always so warm and welcoming. They make me feel so at home. I will keep coming back to this hotel for as long as they keep their wonderful team. It's a clean hotel with free breakfast, good location, lots of parking, etc. Has everything I need and want. Highly recommend this place if you are ever vacationing in Victoria.

    « Great stay »

The location of this hotel is great. It is about a block away from the Parliament building and harbour. We had a terrific 7th floor view of the harbour from our room and balcony (except for the big yellow crane, not their fault!). The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful. My kids lived the outdoor pill and the hot tub. We'd definitely stay again.

    « Great Get Away »

With out a doubt one of the nicest hotels in Victoria. This Best Western, was immaculate. Incredible friendly and helpful staff, from the front desk check in and out, to helping with navigating around the city. The location without doubt is premier. Most local attractions and a whole host of food venues within walking distance. The room was comfortable and clean. A bonus balcony as well as a small sit down kitchen, if one were inclined to eat in rather than go out. Breakfast daily with a wonderful selections from cooked omelettes and sausage, to fruit, cereals, yogurts etc. The secure underground parking was greatly appreciated with parking in this bustling area being hard to find. The hotels proximity to most attractions, walking was the way to go, so for the most part, driving was unnecessary. The beds were very comfortable, and wonderful high quality bedding made each night a treat. Virtually no noise, and a fabulous housekeeper on our floor. The Outdoor Swimming Pool, was close to the indoor whirlpool so use of both was greatly enjoyed. The grounds were splendid and well groomed, with many flowers. This Hotel will truly live up to anyone highest expectation. A marvellous place to stay in Victoria. I can not wait to return.

    « Perfect location »

We parked our car (free) in the underground parking lot and never used it again! We walked to dinner, to the harbor and to the hop-on hop-off bus stop. It was also only a block from the ferry to Washington which was a huge help in the early morning. The room was very nice and clean with a balcony giving a view of the entire harbor area. We watched the float planes and taxi's scooting around. The staff was helpful with recommendations and the breakfast was very good for a hotel. We highly recommend and would stay again if we were ever in Victoria.

    « A Wonderful Best Western »

This is one of the very best BW's we have ever visited. It was clean, well maintained, and we got a great night sleep. It is conveniently located in the inner Harbor area, just a block from the provincial legislature building. There are many excellent restaurants nearby. The staff was as friendly as any we have met -- and quite efficient.

We'll be back next June!!!

We were very satisfied with our recent stay in BEST WESTERN Plus Inner Harbour. Hotel has a great location: short walk to Parliament building, Empress, Fisherman Wharf. Walking distance to Downtown Victoria and Beacon Hill Park. Hotel has a few extras: hot breakfast, outdoor pool, small kitchen with stove, microwave and coffee-maker. Full kitchen is available upon request. Staff is very friendly and always tries to help. wifi is fast and reliable. Definitely recommend this hotel for business or family trip.

« Best deal in Victoria »

We always stay at the Inner Harbour Best Western for many reasons, free parking, easy walking to great shopping, museum, Imax theatre, and a beautiful walk around the inner harbour. The staff is very friendly, and very helpful with what's on, and at what time. We go to Victoria many times during the year, and this is our choice.

« Awesome hotel experience in Victoria! »

We stayed at one of the penthouse apartments with another family, friends of ours. The apartment (floor) was very quiet, the rooms are spacious and very nice (from furniture to accents), lots of natural light and the view is great, gorgeous all-around-apartment deck with table and chairs, private bathrooms for each bedroom, kitchen with all you need if you want to cook or just enjoy take-out, lots of privacy, everything was sparkling clean, very close (walking distance) to all you need to experience in Downtown Victoria. Did not have time to enjoy it all - but we had a Jacuzzi in the bathroom, and the hotel also has a hot tub and an outdoor swimming pool! Breakfast also included! Hotel staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, the hotel garden is lovely, and the lobby very intimate and with designed with much attention to detail. Coffee all-around the day for guests to enjoy in the lobby! Overall, a great experience - would go back there every time I visit Victoria!

« A nice stay, close to the Parliament building »

Stayed here for Victoria days. A bit expensive per night but it's that time of year. Room VERY clean. Young girl at check in counter was sweet, efficient and kind. Breakfast was provided and was decent (maybe a 6 out of 10). Choices were good but things were kind of dried out (bagels and sausage). Faced the park which is lush green but has a homeless population hanging out, no real view. (Unless you consider the barfing person at 330am walking through the park a nice view LOL) A little loud on Monday morning with someone emptying garbage or doing some kind of work. We slept with the sliding glass door (upper level) open to have a nice breeze but we got to hear some extra "noise". Overall, it was a good stay and I'd stay again but may also consider another hotel in the heart of the city.

    « Great location! »

A stone's throw from Victoria's inner harbour, this hotel has a perfect location if you want easy access to a walk/run close to the water or shopping and fine dining in the downtown area! Professional and friendly staff and clean, comfortable rooms make this my favourite hotel when visiting Victoria!

« Clean hotel and an excellent location »

This hotel is a great value. The Best Western Plus Inner Harbour is two blocks from the ferry, an easy walk to The Empress, Parliament, the marina and downtown. The staff is friendly. The rooms are very clean. I will definitely stay there again.

    « Excellent stay »

Great location and stay in Victoria. Nice atmosphere and breakfast was a plus. Price is good and is in walking distance from all the usual sights around town. Underground secure parking comes at US $9.00 per day cost but worth it if you have a car and you have to load or unload in bad weather. Great place for meals next door at Bellevilles. Rooms were small but this one had a kitchen area but No desk for computer work. CoHo ferry construction noise would be an issue if you wanted to sleep in. I would inquire if this is still going on. BW is one block from Ferry to Port Angeles.

    4
« Close to the harbour »

It was nice to be within walking distance of the harbour. Nicely landscaped back yard and pool area, which we enjoyed from the balcony of the hotel room. Hot tub area is a little cozy. Thankfully we didn't have to cuddle with anyone in that small room when using the hot tub. Friendly and helpful front desk agents. The continental breakfast had great variety. Hotel is a bit dated but overall it was a decent stay. One HUGE negative: No air conditioning... so probably wouldn't stay again, or at least in the summer months..

    « Very helpful staff »

I stayed in this hotel in early December with my son, daughter-in-law and grandson. We were all very impressed with the rooms and especially appreciated the cooking facilities and refrigerator. Rooms were generously sized and location of hotel is walking distance to downtown restaurants/shops/sites. Staff were friendly and helpful and car parking was complimentary. Would definitely stay here again when in Victoria.

    « Wonderful location »

A very short walk to the Parliament Buildings, the Inner Harbour, the Empress Hotel and the downtown area. Perfectly located. The hotel staff is so helpful and accommodating, whether you want directions to a tourist site, a movie theater or the nearest book store, they always go out of their way to answer questions. The view of the Inner Harbour is wonderful and it is great fun watching sea planes take off and return. The full breakfast is very good with lots of fresh fruit, pancakes and all the foodstuffs we enjoy at breakfast time.

« Great Home away from home, it's all about the location. »

The Best Western is so close to Victoria's CBD and attractions. It's great a place to go if you don't have a car and can walk to just about anywhere. Our double queen suite was really nice for my family of 4. We liked walking around in the harbour and looking at the view of the legislative building so many places to go and eat and things to do.

My wife and I chose to spend the weekend in Victoria recently and stayed at this hotel for the third time. Again, we had such a great time here! We regret we did not find time to spend at the pool...it was open and so inviting plus the weather was amazing!!! Thanks to the management for the updated room and common area decor and all the staff for their friendliness, helpfulness and impeccable cleanliness. We loved it here and hope to be back soon :) Chris I.

Friendly staff. Clean. Good and convenient location. Close to all attractions and restaurants in the heart of Victoria. Walking distance to Fisherman wharf where we can buy and eat fresh seafood. Good size room with large LCD tv with serparate kitchenette area. A balcony is a bonus. The only drawback is no airconditioning in room. But we can open the sliding door in balcony for fresh air. The daily breakfast is simple but it's free. All in all, we are satisfied with this hotel.

    « Highly recommend it. »

This hotel has an excellent location. We arrived by boat (Clipper vacations ferry) from Seattle and the pier is just 2 blocks away from the hotel. The staff is friendly and efficient, (we needed a pharmacy upon arrival and they recommended a convenient store -thrifty- about 5 blocks walking distance). We had the 2 double beds with breakfast included, having a balcony and kitchenette was a nice surprise (+$15/stay cleaning fee) we didn't use it but it's nice to have the option. The Parliament, BC Museum and Empress Hotel are very close. I recommend the double decker bus to get an overview of the city the first day, it departs from Government St., (2 blocks from hotel), and gives a good idea of where you are located and other sites of interest. The same company also offers a trip to Butchard Gardens, but since they can't drive within and once you get there you're on your own, we took public transportation instead ($5 day pass- you can buy it from bus driver or at the information center) and you'll save about $30/each. Route 31 or 75 will pick you up from Douglas St. (3 blocks from hotel), the staff at the front desk gave us a bus schedule, very attentive crew. I almost forgot, although this hotel is small, the lobby is nice and it has complimentary coffee and tea all day, there's a small pool and gym. We will definitely come back to the BWP Inner Harbour!

« Nice place to stay »

This hotel is a short walk from the ferry dock and to Victoria attractions (bay promenade, Royal BC Museum/Imax, shopping, restaurants, Starbucks). Staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are very clean and comfortable, and breakfast is provided. Secured parking is underground for a charge. We enjoyed the private balcony and the fact that we had fresh air for sleeping at night. A pleasant place to stay, and we would do it again.

« Short, but sweet trip! »

We didn't plan to stay in Victoria, but we are so glad we did spend at least a little time there. We had to quickly look for a hotel and we were so pleased that we found this hotel. What a terrific experience from the very start! Great staff, very comfortable room. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast hit the spot! Also close to the "Harbour House" restaurant, which made for a great dinner experience. Next time we will plan to stay longer!! :)

My husband and I spent a couple of nights here early May. Absolutely great location to stroll the streets of Victoria. Comfortable room, all the amenities we needed. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast that was included in the room was really good, hot food, pancakes etc.....Nice to start the day. I really enjoyed my stay, we had a garden view room which was really nice to look at on the balcony. Kitchenettes are available for a small fee. Great rate also for one of the hotels on the inner harbor.

    « Great location »

Overall, I really liked this hotel. The room was as expected, we had a small balcony that gave you a peek-a-boo view of the bay (which was what I was expecting). The room was clean and the hotel was super close to all the action downtown. The only problem we had was at check-in. We stay at Best Westerns a lot. We arrived at the hotel at 2:00 in the afternoon. Knowing that you usually can't check in until 3 we were not surprised that our room was not ready. The hotel kept our bags and told us they had a 4:00 guarantee, so we could walk around town for awhile. We got back around 3:15. Room still not ready. OK, so we sit in the lobby. Around 3:30 many people start coming in and we counted at least 8 couples that were getting checked in. I asked at the desk a little before 3:30 how long it would be and was told they were doing the final check of the room and it would be about 5 minutes. At 3:55 we finally got called for our room. With a 4:00 guarantee, I asked what we would have received had they been 5 minutes more (being late for guarantee). We were told they would apologize for the wait and if there was an upgrade, we would be offered that. (I had already asked about an upgrade when we first arrived, so I knew that wouldn't have been offered). So in other words, their guarantee is to say they're sorry. We have NEVER had to wait so long to get a room, and since they knew were in town at 2:00, we really felt like they could have made an effort to get our room ready a little sooner. Especially since 8 other couples arrived at 3:30 and were checked in immediately. Rant over! It was a nice, well located hotel though.

« Great Location - Wonderful Service - Some noise concerns »

The Best Western Plus Harbor View in Victoria is a good hotel and, for the most part, up to the standards of their Plus series of hotels. It is not inexpensive, which is understandable given its location. Making use of our Best Western Rewards membership permitted us to get a significant saving, which was good. The hotel is clean and has many nice amenities, some of which we used. The staff was very pleasant and helpful, including the desk people and the cleaning people. The room was well appointed and up to the ?Plus' standard. The internet worked very well and we were able to stream video successfully, which is not always possible in hotels. The floor construction is concrete so the noise from above or below was not noticeable. What did cause a frustration was the noise that came through the main door to the room and from the outside through the deck sliding door. The inside door to the hall was thick and solid; however, there was no sealing around the door nor at the bottom. To indicate the effect of this, there were a couple of people staying across the hall in their own room and they were talking with each other, rather loud. Even though they were in their room with their door closed and our door was closed we could hear every word and they sounded like they were in our room. Not good. What is more, those doors slammed closed with the built in closure mechanism. Any door closing on our side within two rooms caused our hall wall to shake. Thankfully, our neighbours settled in by 10pm so this was not a problem that night. If you have inconsiderate neighbours, the evening might not be so pleasant. The outside sliding deck door was another story. It is a very old style door, again with little sealing around the edges and looked like it was single pane. We were on the street side of the hotel and we could hear everything going on outside, including party goers and crows. Unfortunately, the smaller hotel next door has a liquor store attached, so on Saturday evening the noise outside was excessive and went on well into the night. That kept us awake longer than we would have liked. I think, for such an expensive hotel, the construction should be upgraded to meet newer standards. This noise issue was the only concern during our stay, but it was a problem for us. The breakfast was the Best Western Plus standard. The breakfast location is in a sunroom near the entrance and was a nice place to sit and eat. I tend to stick to the dry cereal, toast, and yogurt as I find the sausage and eggs to be made of rather undefined produce. Regardless, the breakfast was fine. My wife would have liked to have a gluten free cereal offered along with almond milk. The quick oats they had cannot be guaranteed to be gluten free. This hotel offered pancakes made with an automatic pancake machine. They were awful. I prefer the waffle makers that are often used in such places. Would I go back to this hotel? I'm not sure. If I did, I would ask for a room facing the harbor rather than the road and see what it was like. However, I would probably look around a bit before committing.

    « Beautiful Harbour View - June 2015 »

Visiting Victoria was a major highlight of our cross-Canada/Alaska tour. We picked this BW for the harbour view and were not disappointed, what a view! We had a balcony room on the 7th floor facing the harbour front. We very much enjoyed sitting out with our morning coffee and in the evening with a cocktail watching the harbour and buildings light up at dusk. The room and bathroom were spacious, comfy bed, full kitchenette and very clean. The front desk reception were very friendly. The continental breakfast was good. It was only a five minute walk to the harbour festivities, restaurants and entertainment. We took a city bus tour and harbour taxi boat ride. This hotel was in an ideal location and we thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay, wishing we could have stayed longer.

« Fell Below Expectations of a Plus Hotel »

This hotel is trading on it's Inner Harbour Location. While the lobby and pool areas are nice, the rooms are sorely in need of renovation. The toilet is tiny and low, the ceiling of our room was dirty and patched and the room was not particularly clean. Usually I recommend BW Plus Hotels, but I do not recommend this one.

« Best Hotel we've stayed at in a long time! »

A perfect hotel, with great staff, facilities & close to everything, yet in a quiet area. The included breakfast is a major bonus. You can walk from the hotel along the waterfront to a lot of restaurants, Chinatown, and great shopping. BC transit is very good and close. The bus terminal is a 5 minute walk & you can get all sorts of island tours. Try the Harbour tour by water taxi. It's cheap & fun.

« Best western plus inner harbor »

There is much I have to say about this hotel I gave it a poor rating because the hotel is very noisy they have no heat or air conditioning and we asked for a pizza recommendation they gave us one and it was awful we waited exactly and hour and forty minutes to get our pizza. and the elevator is so loud it kept me up all night. However, they do have a fairly large pool and a workout room and hot tub but beware the actual hotel is quite awful.

    « Great Location »

The staff were very friendly and ready to help in any way they could! The rooms were clean and comfortable. Loved the little corner kitchenette and the balcony was a real plus. Our room looked out over the park and harbour which was a wonderful view of all the activity on the inner harbour and great sunsets. We really enjoyed going down for the breakfast buffet so we could start our day without having to figure out where to go for breakfast first. Over all staying at the Best Western Plus Inner Harbour helped make the relaxing fun family vacation we were looking for.

    « Awesome trip »

The pool was closed but the hottub worked great..Very clean and efficient. breakfast was great...and it was centrally located...we could walk to town or the docks...plus lots of restaurants are very close by. We had a wonderful time...

    « Love the location! »

Friendly staff and very accommodating. Loved the kitchenette tucked in the corner, (never expected that) - good use of space! However, room with two queen beds plus the other furniture is space hungry! However my friend's room with a King bed and sofa was significantly more roomy. Beds are very comfy and location is very quiet even though its just one street away from the main thoroughfare. Bathroom fan was somewhat noisy and the outlet in bathroom doesn't work if the the light is off - signage to this effect would be really helpful as I found my battery not charged (overnight) - much to my chagrin! I will most certainly choose this location over the other in Victoria, in future! Really good hot breakfast. Lots of choices.

« An Awesome place to stay »

From the moment you step into the Lobby, you are treated like a friend. you fell that you are their most important customer. The room was very clean and modern. Bottom line for me is that you are away from home. The staff here makes you forget that you are away from your loved ones. It makes for a nicer stay.

    « Excellent stay - very satisfied »

We really enjoyed our stay at this Best Western. Great location, nice size room, modern and comfortable decor (including the bathroom), and very clean. The kitchenette and dining alcove tucked away was a nice touch. They provided two pack-away cribs for our kids, as requested. Don't expect a grand entrance at this location (we certainly didn't care). While it's on the harbour, the lobby is tiny and fronts onto a quiet street at the rear. The reception staff were uniformly helpful and informative, as well as friendly to our small children. Many previous reviews note the small breakfast room always being full, but while busy, we were always able to find a table (for four!) when we came down, even in the stated peak periods - perhaps because we did not stay over a weekend. Parents of small children should note that there is only one high chair and one booster seat. While the hot foods are not especially high in quality, the rest (cereals, breads, fruit, hard-boild eggs, etc.) are perfectly fine, and there is enough variety to keep most happy. If you're looking for a luxury buffet breakfast, you're probably not looking to stay at a BW anyway. As many have said, great location and value. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

    3
    « Centrally located »

The room was quite large with a balcony and kitchenette. We had quite a nice view looking towards the harbour. The bathroom was ok but could not get the shower to work which meant having to use the bath. The king size bed was comfortable. It is an easy walk to everything and there are restaurants close by. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was good but not great.

    5
« Great location and value »

The location is great--walking distance to everything downtown. Close to bus lines if you want to go somewhere farther out and don't want to pay "tour prices". We went to Butchart Gardens--where we have been many times on tours. This time we hopped a bus. Bought a $5.00 day pass which is MUCH cheaper than any tour would be. Took about an hour to get there, but saw areas/neighborhoods that we might not see otherwise, and benefited from chatting with the locals. Our room had a small kitchen which was great for leftovers from dinners out. Hotel has a daily breakfast that was tasty and varied. Staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. This is the second time we've stayed at this hotel and it will be our regular go-to place when visiting Victoria!

Perfect Stay. Rooms were clean and kitchen facilities available. Staff was so friendly and helpful with all of our questions on where to go, restaurants to eat, things to do. Breakfast was really good. Location was perfect for us. View was amazing!

« Great Hotel in Harbor Area »

This was a great hotel in the harbor area of Victoria. It was close to walk to shopping, sightseeing and restaurants. The views from the balcony were good but only partial views of the harbor because of all the beautiful trees. They were very helpful at check-in with restaurant recommendations and help making a reservation for Tea at the Empress. Breakfast was good.

    5
« Quiet but close to all the action »

A park separates the hotel from the main drag and the US Ferry so you have a sound barrier. Quebec Street is a quiet semi-residential street so it is quiet also. Short two block walk brings you to the Inner Harbour area where there are restaurants, carriage rides, IMAX theatre, the museum, and the Legislative Building. You can't ask for a better location. The hotel itself has undergone a revamp recently and is very clean and new looking. The breakfast room has a glassed in area that overlooks the street. rooms are spacious and have a "kitchenette" where you can make a coffee or microwave goodies. A very nice place to stay.

    5
« Great hotel, very friendly staff, great location »

I've stayed here many times and had never anything to complain. Everyone is friendly, welcoming and the hotel is clean, beds are comfortable and the breakfast has a very good selection. I can only recommend this place.

    « A Very Good Choice! »

The Best Western Plus - Inner Harbour is an perfect choice for any visitor. Great rooms, great service, great breakfast, great value for your money and a great location. The rooms are perfect, what with a small kitchenette, the staff friendly and helpful, the breakfast full of variety for every taste and close to many tourist attractions. You are literally minutes away from the harbour, Beacon Hill Park, restaurants, cafes, Government Street, walking trails and from downtown. What more could you ask for? Not much, if you ask me!!!

    5
    « A wonderful place! »

What more could you ask for? A great location (within walking distance of many different tourist sites, restaurants, coffee shops and grocery store) a great staff, an excellent breakfast, great value for your money and excellent facilities(sauna, steam room, hot tub, seasonal pool, exercise room)! Why go anywhere else?

    « Great Value »

We stayed for 2 nights the beginning of April 2016 at the BW Inner Harbour and were very impressed. Spotlessly clean throughout. Great staff, all going out of their way to be cheerful and helpful. They put on a great breakfast, better than most. And the downtown location can't be beat, within easy walking distance to many attractions, restaurants and shopping. We'd been on a 3 week vacation and this was by FAR our best stop.

    5
    « Made a Memory »

This hotel is located in the heart of the city. Unlike other hotels located on busy roads the BW is 1 block off of the main highway. Quiet and beautifully landscaped a perfect getaway. Staff from arrival to departure are polite, courtesy, and extremely helpful. Could not have wished for a better experience for our 1st time in Victoria. Thank you BW staff for a job WELL DONE. The reason for giving "Sleep Quality" less than Excellent was our bed was a Queen and not a King.

    « Victoria Inner Harbour »

Great location, clean facility, friendly staff, can walk to all amenities near the scenic inner harbour. Awesome whale watching experiences followed by excellent sea food all in close proximity to the hotel.

    5
« Clean, convenient and quiet »

Great place to stay. Less than a block to the Parliament building or the water taxi. My daughter and I were able to walk just about everywhere we wanted to go, including the British Columbia Museum, Bastion Square and Fisherman's Wharf. The best part was the friendly and patient staff who helped with directions and excellent restaurant recommendations. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, including the fresh fruit, Greek yogurt, and several selections of tea along with eggs and potatoes. Our small kitchen with a table was nice to have at the end of a long day. Quiet location between residences and hotels on Quebec Street and a park separating the hotel from Belleville Street on the waterfront. We would definitely recommend to friends.

« BEST WESTERN PLUS INNER HARBOUR - A REAL PARADISE ON THE ISLAND »

A terrific Long-Term Place to stay during the winter months. Ideally located by the harbor...easy access to downtown, museum, legislative bldg.,public transit et al. Clean units, friendly and knowledgeable staff; daily hot breakfast with a variety of food items; free WiFi, newspapers. An excellent destination for "snowbirds" who want to remain on this side of the USA/Canada border.

    4
    « Perfect location »

Along with standard high levels of service and comfort, this particular location was perfect for our visit as it was walking distance to all the tours, museums and sights we wanted to see in our short stay. The breakfast buffet had something for everyone and we were spoiled with our own private patio room for morning coffee.

    4
« nice place to stay »

We arrived in Victoria around 8pm and checked in with ease. There were 2 other parties checking in at the same time so I thought I would have to wait a bit, but the wait was less than 5 minutes. Our room was nice we had a kitchenette and a balcony that overlooked the park. The hotel is a 2 minute walk to the harbor and Parliament buildings. which are beautiful at night.Breakfast had lots to choose from

    4
« Good value, great location »

The hotel is clean, friendly and situated within walking distance of all a person would like to see in Victoria! Great place to stay. The generous breakfast and amenities were a welcome bonus. Pool is seasonal, so keep that in mind if you need a swim!

    5
« Great for short or long stays in Victoria »

Hotel staff are all friendly, caring and professional. Hotel is located near the Inner Harbour and close to parks and easy walking to downtown Victoria and many restaurants. Our room on the fourth floor overlooked the park and had its own balcony, 2 Queen beds and a kitchen that included a stove, bar fridge and microwave along with utensils, dishes etc. Great if you are staying for a longer period of time. Room was very clean and lots a little extra amenities and toiletries. Only problem we encountered was the hairdryer that malfunctioned. Having said that, the front desk staff readily provided a portable hair dryer and they informed the maintenance staff to replace the faulty one that same day. The complimentary breakfast had a good selection of food, but the quality of the hot food was only average. We would stay here again and recommend it to others.

    5
    « Perfect »

Front desk recommended several dinner places for us and was super from first interaction to the time they call to check up and make sure our room was ok. Great staff, great location, super clean and will stay here again the future! Highly recommended

« big room, perfect location »

We came to this hotel on our honeymoon motorcycle trip. The room was big, a bit dated but that's OK, it was close to everything. Lots to do in the area as it is along the harbor. Clean and good breakfast.

    « Easy Walking Distance »

We live in the Gulf Islands and this hotel is our place to stay when we need to visit Victoria overnight. It is easy walking distance to downtown. It is very close to Ogden Point where the cruise ships come in. Ogden Point also has a dive shop. Our son has stayed at the hotel while taking a dive course. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Secure parking. The staff is wonderful. Lots of near by restaurants.

    « No complaints »

Nice rooms with kitchenettes and balconies; the parkside one overlook the inner harbour. An older hotel but in good well kept condition with comfortable beds and armchairs. Housekeeping could be improved and the breakfast I did not enjoy, as the quality of the food is rather lacking (eg almost raw pastry). Location is great; as are the parking opportunities. Will stay there again

    « Excellent Views »

My extended family stayed here while we were cleaning out our father's apartment. We had several rooms and one of the penthouses. The views from the penthouse were the best you could get of the inner harbour area. Just incredible. The staff were very helpful and kind. The breakfast was good and their gym was well used by me.

    4
« Great place to stay in the inner harbour »

Lots of extra touches here to make the winter stay enjoyable. Umbrella stand at the door to borrow an umbrella on the way out on a rainy day. A couple of free lunch time gatherings for long term guests. Use of free DVD's for long term guests. Lots of choices in free hot breakfast. Everyone working here were extremely pleasant and helpful!. Kitchen with fridge, stove and microwave gave the option of not having to eat out every night. Outdoor pool was closed for winter but indoor hot tub, steam room, sauna and gym available as well as onsite laundry.

    5
« Great location and Excellent staff! »

Room was clean, nicely decorated and had a small kitchenette. We loved the location for shopping and walking. We would book this hotel again the next time we are in Victoria. Excellent staff! Breakfast was included with a good variety of choices.

    « Clean and Comfortable »

We were in Victoria recently and really enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Plus Inner Harbour. After a very friendly greeting, we were told they upgraded us to a King Bed Suite complete with kitchen, and although we had requested a high and quiet floor, our 2nd floor front view was just perfect, and it was at the end of the corridor, so very quiet. The room was well laid out, clean and comfortable. There is 24/7 coffee and tea in the lobby, and the breakfast was fine and plentiful. We didn't use the $9 underground parking because weekend street parking is free. The hot tub was pretty good, but the room could use some "sprucing-up" with paint, lighting, ventilation. Also, there is no central air in the rooms as it's heated with base boards, but they do supply a fan so I was able to have air circulation and background sound for sleeping. Safe travels, Paul

    5
    « Another Great Stay »

I stay here regularly. It's a nice property. I was not aware many of the hotel guests in the winter stay a month at a time. They are from colder areas. Hotel is really nice. Underground parking. Breakfast is good with many options. Overall great value.

« Location, Quality and Value »

This is our 'go to' hotel when we need to overnight in Victoria. The rooms are well furnished, and the small corner 'real' kitchen is a bonus even for just an overnight stay, as is the balcony. This BW is ideally located to take in many of the sights around the Inner Harbour and the Legislative Buildings .. all within walking distance which means you just park your car in the underground lot until you are ready to leave . Furthermore, the staff is outstanding.

« A pleasurable stay in the Inner Harbour! »

A 3-night stay at the Best Western Plus Inner Harbour was an integral and enjoyable part of a recent pleasure trip to Victoria. Our room (we lodged as a threesome - senior couple and daughter) was on the 6'th floor, harbour side of the hotel, and offered a rather nice, partial view of what was happening in and about Victoria's inner harbour. The room was very clean, tidy, and well-appointed - features included double queen beds (which were so comfortable!!), two easy chairs, three-drawer bureau, small executive desk, kitchenette (with microwave, stovetop, small table and chairs (handy, and much-enjoyed and appreciated during our stay), tv, dvd player, and wi-fi (good connection too!!). We found our room both comfortable and very quiet. Along with little noise from the hall, or nearby elevator, we were "happy campers" for our entire stay. Our stay at the hotel included breakfast daily, in a small dining room just off the lobby, on the main floor of the hotel. Breakfast was great, and included a fine selection of hot and cold items - juices, fresh fruits, sweet buns, biscuits, bread, cereals, eggs (prepared differently each morning - and always so good!), pan-fried potatoes, sausages (different kind each morning - another nice touch!), pancakes (via a make-your-own machine), coffees, teas, hot chocolate, and etc. We found everything fresh and tasty, and the premises kept spotlessly clean and tidy - their breakfast was a fun and great start to each day. Recreation amenities included a fitness centre (which we did not use), a whirlpool jacuzzi (which we used daily, and enjoyed), small wet sauna (steam room) and dry sauna (we did not use the saunas during our stay). Towels were provided at the facilities, and everything kept nice and clean. Overall - The hotel: clean, comfortable, and quiet. The location: pretty area, and handy to downtown and neighbourhoods of the city (on foot, or by vehicle), and some lovely, neighbourhood areas (local to the hotel) facilitating some great morning and/or evening walkabouts. This was our first trip to Victoria in a very good many years, and the Best Western Plus Inner Harbour Hotel sure added greatly to the pleasure and enjoyment of our stay. Sure hope to return soon!

    5
    « Friendly and Clean »

We have stayed several times in this hotel and it is always a great experience. The hotel is centrally located and you can walk to downtown Victoria and go for nice walks in the area. We enjoy our visit every time we go to Victoria.

« Home Away From Home »

Every year, I spend part of my winter and early spring in Victoria to get away from the cold in Thunder Bay.For the last six years, I spend approximately 2 months at the Best Western PLUS Inner Harbour. I get the same Room on the corner with two balconies. With little kitchen, itslike my home away from home. If there is ever anything I need, I just ask any member of the staff ( who are like members of my family ) and it gets done right away. I recommend this hotel to anyone.

« Quality, value and location »

This Best Western Suite hotel is perfectly located to take advantage of Victoria's wonderful attractions with the Inner Harbour, the Empress hotel, the Parliament Buildings, downtown restaurants and theatres and harbour side paths all within walking distance. So, park you car in the basement parking and head out to explore. Our hotel room had been recently and attractively decorated and had to comfortable chairs, good lighting, upgraded bathroom fixtures, and granite counter-tops and stainless steel appliances in the well-equipped little kitchen area. The beds were very comfortable with luxurious-feeling bedding and the thick, soft bathroom towels added to the comfort of our stay. Of course, were thrilled to have a view of the water and a little north-facing balcony to sit out and enjoy it. We were able to start out our day with the energy of a full hot breakfast which featured a cheese omelette one morning and scrambled eggs the next in addition to a multitude of other choices. The staff are all very helpful and there are even umbrellas to borrow in case you didn't have room for your own. We will certainly be back here another time.

« Just as good as last time! »

This is my second stay at the Best Western Plus Inner Harbour, although my trips where at least a year apart they continue to be an excellent accommodation. My room was very nice, clean, It included a fridge, stove, cutlery etc. Although I ate mostly in restaurants I could always take my "doggie bag" home and store and reheat my food when I wanted. The included breakfast started early enough so I could get out and enjoy the sights before most people where awake. The coffee was very good that was offered 24/7 it always tasted fresh, I really enjoyed the complimentary paper (local/Globe and Mail)The location of this hotel was perfect for me, It is one block away from the inner harbour so it was quiet and easy to access inner harbour and surrounding sites fast. I know there is a steam and a sauna and pool but I did not use these services during this visit. I peaked my head in and I did notice it was kept very clean. The staff seem unwavering in their commitment to excellent customer service no matter what time of day. I will definitely turn this in to my accommodation for my yearly and hopefully semi-yearly trip to Victoria, an awesome break from the Edmonton winter!

« Clean hotel, great location if you arrive on the Seattle Clipper »

We were on the 5th floor of the BW Plus. It's only about an easy two block walk from the dock where the Clipper lands. Breakfast was really nice with very helpful staff. Eggs, toast, bagels, fresh fruit, sausage, oatmeal, coffee, hot chocolate, pancakes, hash browns, pastries, yogurt...lots to choose from. This hotel is quiet and is located on a quiet street. They held our suitcases for us as our room wasn't ready when we arrived, so we could begin to explore Victoria. I would definitely go back to this hotel. Not fancy but clean and the beds were very comfy. The bathroom has granite counter tops, and isn't huge but large enough. The little kitchen area has all you'd need to cook there. Very decent hotel. And a great location for seeing the government buildings, the BC Museum, and all that the downtown area has to offer. Nice walking area. And safe.

« MY WIFE AND i ENJOYED THE TOTAL AMBIANCE OF THIS HOTEL. »

The employees are knowledgeable and courteous. They would do anything reasonably asked of them. The rooms are quiet and very clean. Loved the soft water for washing and showering. The complimentary breakfasts were great BUT would have enjoyed bacon with the eggs occasionally. Since you cater to an older extended stay patrons, high rise toilets would be appreciated especially by people, like my wife, with artificial knee joints.

    « Like coming home! »

This is a beautiful hotel, not too big and not too small. We have stayed a couple of times and each time we have enjoyed our stay so much. It has that comfy home feeling about it. Everything is super clean and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. For travellers in the 50+ category, they have magnification mirrors which are a must for seniors. It is also within walking distance of downtown Victoria. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.

    « Very Nice »

In Victoria for a birthday weekend, the hot tub was amazing after a long day of walking around the inner harbour and beyond. The staff were all welcoming and helpful. Going to Victoria, give the Best Western Inner Harbour a try, you will not be disappointed. We weren't.

    « We love Victoria! »

We decided to go to a Royals hockey game and see friends who live across the street from this hotel at the same time. The hotel had a promo rate for folks from "Up Island", which was a bonus. The front desk staff were smiling and pleasant, our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean, we even had a small, well-equipped kitchen. Complimentary breakfast was well presented and plentiful. All in all an excellent stay.

    « A Good Place To Stay »

This is a very good hotel. It has wonderful beds, great cleaners, great air quality, and terrific front end staff. The kitchenette, while a bit tight for space, had all the essentials. The view was of the Inner Harbor. The price for all this was very fair. It earned the five stars!

    « Satisfaction »

Had a good stay here and the last one was a long time ago so wasn't sure what to expect except for a few people on the forum consistently recommending this property and some of these things are quite subjective. So it's a nice clean tidy little suite with a nice little kitchenette. We had a corner room on the second floor that looked out to the harbor and garden areas of hotel. The room was bright and spacious with two patios. The bathroom was a good size and clean. The décor is somewhat dated and certainly not modern but warm colours and clean. The location is great to roam the inner harbor.Staff were very friendly at the front desk. The breakfast area was nice and the food was typical style these days with toast, yogurt, cereal, eggs, coffee, tea etc .The eggs and potatoes and sausage are warm but not that appealing at least the plates were plastic not foam and they used cutlery not plastic. We would stay again for sure

« Good value and location »

There is a good "islander rate" that includes parking, it's always very clean, with friendly and professional staff. I enjoy being close to the harbour walk that takes you to James Bay. The rooms with the kitchenettes are very nice.

    « Great Value »

The hotel staff were excellent, helpful and very friendly. The lobby is very nice and looks like his has been recently upgraded, as was the room we stayed in. The hotel is walking distance to the inner harber, fishermans wharf and downtown Victoria. It is also walking distance to many restaurants and pubs. I would highly this hotel.

    « Mrs. K. Thomson »

Exceptionally clean rooms and friendly staff. The kitchenette was modern with plenty of seating. The view of the harbour was great. The chambermaids were some of the best that I have encountered. The hotel is very close to the inner harbour, restaurants, horse carriage rides, and public transit system.

« On our top 5 hotel list! »

We absolutely loved this hotel! We still talk about it! We were given a corner room on a high floor with 2 balconies with great views. I thought I had booked a basic room. When I thanked them for the upgrade, they said this is the room I booked! What a lovely surprise! The room was large and had a little kitchenette with little table. The bathroom was fairly large. The room was clean and the bed comfy. The staff was friendly and helpful. Well place for walking around the city and harbor area. It is right across the street from the Ferry terminal. I wish every place I stayed was this quality. Best Western seems to do a better job on The West coast than on the east, in my experience.

« Relaxed convenient week end »

Once again we had a pleasant no hassle stay at this hotel. Rooms are spacious. Breakfast service is included and plentiful. Staff are very accommodating. We called to advise we would be arriving early so they put their housekeeping staff on our room so we could check in early. They are always available to make special arrangements when required.

Full breakfast and underground parking provide. We would definitely stay again

The room was large with a King Bed. The breakfast room food and service was the best. Easy to check-in and out and underground parking. The Hotel location puts you in a great spot to enjoy the inner harbour and Victoria.

Great location near the harbour and city centre, large room, patio, kitchenette, tasty hot breakfast, welcoming staff, underground parking and large lounge/lobby. Took advantage of the up island rate, so very affordable. Will definitely be back.

Great location with-in walking distance to many of the attractions along the seawall with great local pubs and great places to eat but far enough away that your not in the middle of the downtown bubble.

Our trip was to Victoria to see a Heart Specialist. Due to weather conditions we decided to stay overnight. We were so delighted that we choice the Best Western PLUS Inner Harbour in downtown Victoria.

« Wonderful, relaxing visit to our favourite hotel! »

As always our appreciation goes out to the staff. Everyone was so helpful and happy and full of suggestions for our stay, from restaurant suggestions The breakfast area had everything we wanted and the staff there was very helpful and cheerful. The corner suite was a plus too. Next time we will have to give the whirlpool a try and the weightroom.

    « Anniversary Celebration »

This was our third stay at the Best Western Inner Harbour. We love the location - we park our car when we arrive and don't move it until we leave. All the staff are friendly and helpful and make you feel very welcome. We booked a suite so that we had more space and we could eat in a couple of nights ... and it had the benefit of a jacuzzi tub. Our only comment for improvement would be to better stock the kitchen, e.g. a corkscrew should be a must provision in any kitchen. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay ... and we will return!

    « Nice location »

The BW is located a few blocks from the inner harbour. It is within easy walking distance to the inner harbour, downtown & Fishermans wharf. There is underground parking which it seems you must use as there is no street parking beyond an hour & very limited spaces. There is a charge which is ridiculous with the cost of a night's stay. The front desk staff are professional & helpful. The hotel is clean. We observed one of the cleaning staff scrubbing the rails of the elevator door entrance! Rooms have tiny kitchens with a sink, stove, microwave & small fridge. There are a few dishes along with a coffee maker & kettle. There is also a small table, 2 chairs & a window which is nice for ventilation as there is no air conditioning in the hotel. We discovered a guest laundry in the basement which is a great service for some who have been traveling for a bit. The rooms are small. There is a safe which is something any hotel should have so glad to see that. There also is a small balcony to step onto for fresh air. The desk is at the end of the bed & barely useable as pulling out the chair to sit meant hitting the bed. There are 2 tub chairs for addition seating. The matresses are comfy but the pillows are in need of replacement. We found them lumpy & without any support. One morning when we showered in the later morning there was only lukewarm water. Unfortunately the rooms are not that quiet. There is a large space at the bottom of the door which allows any noise from the hallway to be heard. The doors close heavily & no matter how quiet you try to be the opening & closing of doors echoes through the room. We faced the park & unfortunately there is massive construction going on across the street that runs 7-7 every day. Despite the patio door being closed the pounding sounds reverberated into the room. With the patio door being open the noise could be so loud you had to turn the tv volume up. Two issues that need improvement are housekeeping in the room & the breakfast. We were surprised to find dirty cups we had used rinsed & put back in the cupboard. Our lip marks were still on the cups. The glasses we used in the kitchen & bathroom were also not replaced but simply dried out & put back on the shelf. It is sheer laziness to do that. The lotion dispenser on the bathroom was calked with dried lotion. When we asked for it to be replaced we were told it was the metal material that caused it to look that way. Despite my husband taking his fingernail & scraping dried lotion off the dispenser it was never replaced. Breakfast was a disappointment. Sausage every morning. We were told no other meat is served. The potatoe was always dry & tasteless. There is no yoghurt other than a bowl of plain & extremely sour yoghurt. No cheese either. A "full" breakfast buffet would include these items. The juices were not drinkable. The orange tasted like Tang. Barely orange & no taste. The apple juice had a slight yellow color & tasted like coloured water. There is toast we could make ourselves & a couple cereals. We appreciated the skim milk. There is coffee around the corner from the lobby. We found this on our second day as no one had told us about it. There are 2 computer terminals at the front door you can use. We found the wifi worked without any problem. A nice service for guests is the use of umbrellas.

    « Great Service »

This hotel is our favorite place to stay in Victoria. It has a great location within walking distance to Victoria's downtown attractions. The staff has always provided excellent service. On this occasion I needed an early check in to allow me to change in order to attend a funeral. Our room was made available at noon which was a great help. We recommend this hotel whenever we are asked for an excellent hotel in Victoria.

« A lovely stay at the Best Western Inner Harbour »

This was our first time staying here and we totally enjoyed it. The rooms were very nice and there was a kitchen area and balcony which we totally enjoyed. The view was of the inner harbor which was pretty clear as the leaves were off the trees in the garden so it was more than a partial view and was beautiful with the lights at night. The service was excellent both in the rooms and the breakfast area. We were totally happy with our stay and will recommend to friends.Breakfast included hot and cold items and the servers that were there to help us made sure we got all we needed.

    « Great Location »

The room had everything you need. We never used the kitchen. The staff was kind and helpful. Location is downtown so walking is simple. Breakfast in the morning is a nice addition and was well organized. Parking is secure.

« 3 Stars with 5 Stars service and amenities »

Stayed at this hotel in room #704 in late Dec/Jan 2016. The room was spacious with amenities that is equivalent to a 5 stars standard but without the price tag. The service provided by the front office staff was excellent. They were ever-ready to help, be it calling for a taxi or information on buses and its routes. The complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby was a warm welcome whenever we return from the cold of winter after a day of sight-seeing and shopping. The breakfast every morning was superb with the cheery waitresses and their helpful attitude.Best Western Inner Harbour you made my holiday stay one of the Best that I can remember.Keep it up and i will definitely return if I visit Victoria again.

« Excellent hotel in a great location »

Hotel rooms are great, with very comfortable beds, and handy small kitchens. The hotel is located within walking distance of good restaurants, and the Dallas Road pathway system. We have stayed at this hotel numerous times over the past 3-4 years and each time the service and quality of the hotel have been excellent

« We enjoyed our room with the small kitchen, two chairs to sit and watch TV. »

The setting of this hotel was so great to walk downtown to the theatre, restaurants, the Imax and shopping. The staff were so helpful in telling us about how to go to Butchart Gardens the most direct and easy way. The staff also recommended some restaurants close to the hotel for our second night as we had had a very busy day. The breakfasts gave us many choices and again the kitchen staff were so thoughtful and helpful! We walk every where when we stay here and never worry about being on the streets later in the evening even though we are Seniors. On the last day we checked out but left our car in the underground parking to have one last walk around the harbour visiting the Robert Bateman Gallery which was 10 minutes away from the hotel. We will definitely stay here again. The winter rates make it so available to us Seniors.

    « Happy New Year! »

My husband and I visit Victoria every New Years Day and stay for the 3 nights. This year we came for New Years Eve and stayed the 3 nights. What a pleasure! The hotel is always an excellent place to stay as the underground parking is secure, the check in fast and friendly, the room and kitchenette very comfy, and the breakfast always appreciated! We have now been making our stay at the Best Western a tradition for about 5 years now and will continue to do so. Always the place for us when we are in Victoria!

« Best Western lives up to it's name (The Best) »

This hotel is a wonderful place to stay very comfortable and a very helpful staff The room we had was lovely and we had a great view of the bay and watched the sea planes take off and land and the room was sound proofed so we did not hear any of the engines or traffic sounds. werecomend this hotel as a destination asset

    « Family visit »

Hotel is clean and very well kept. You have everything you need in a room with even a small kitchenette. Staff is very friendly and courteous. We arrived late and the person at the front door greeted me by name remembering who was left to check in. It's in a great location right in downtown Victoria with many things to do right within walking distance.

« Anniversary stay at the Best Western Plus »

We had a lovely time. The location of the hotel is very convenient to walking to shops and amenities downtown Victoria. The staff was very pleasant and helpful with recommending restaurants and knowledgeable about locations of places we wanted to visit. The room is nicely decorated and comfortable. The free breakfast has a good choice of food and accomodates people with gluten and lactose intolerance. Although we didn't use the sauna or exercise room we would in the future. This hotel is definitely a place to stay again.

    « fun in Victoria »

Best western Inner Harbour is an excellent place to stay while visiting Victoria. Great location, hotel staff, service and accommodation. Definitely recommend it. To anyone who is looking for clean, comfortable, relaxing stay. This is the place. The staff go out of their way to accommodate you. And you are close to all amenities and tourist attractions.

« Good to stay, but go out to eat. »

The front desk staff were terrific and helpful. The room was clean, neat and for a Best Western Plus, rather small. It had a tiny kitchenette, two queen size beds, a cramped bathroom. All was tidy. But, come the free breakfast time, join the bustle! It was hard to find a seat. The help-yourself buffet was fine for muffins, toast, coffee, tea. juice. But the cooked stuff - small, featureless omelet, turkey sausage,, hash browns, were cold and tasteless. Even if you wait for the serving dishes to be re-filled, the food was luke-warm at best. A definite downer if you are wanting a full breakfast. I suppose you get what you pay for. And, no other meals are served.

« Short 2 day stay before New Years Day »

I travel for a living and usually stay on the outskirts of the downtown core. When my wife and I are relaxing we stay on the inner harbor. This is an ideal property. It is located over looking the inner harbor and the hotel is within easy walking distance of most of the downtown area. The property is very well appointed and is also very well priced. The full breakfast is well done and is included in the rate. This will not be the last time we stay here.

    « Extraordinary Customer Service »

We were greeted by Craig at the front desk who was amazing with fitting my 3 kids and husband into a suite. The room was gorgeous! ..a small walk to all amenities! The breakfast is included in the already reasonable price..It was delicious! There is no restaurant but the lobby had a menu of the Days Inn restaurant to which my kids ate at..again..amazing price and service. This restaurant is right next door..quick and easy for a snack if needed. The pool was closed..but the sauna area was clean and quiet.. I would definitely stay here again!

« New Years in Victoria »

Last minute decision to stay in downtown Victoria for New Years. We recently stayed at a Best Western in PEI after returning home from a visit to Victoria. Thought we would give this one a try. Very very pleased with the friendly front desk staff, awesomely appointed suite and attentive hosts in the breakfast room. Very good choice for being right downtown and good value for the money

    « Christmas in Victoria »

Went to Victoria for our first time for a Christmas getaway and we were very satisfied with this hotel. The parkade was gated for security and I requested a view of the harbour which we also got. As our arrival was to be late I requested so beverages in the room and my request was fulfilled perfectly. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

« Moderate Price, Good Location, Parking, Clean, Will Return »

We arrived too early for check-in but the staff at the counter gave me a parking pass for the garage below the hotel. They promised to call when our room was available. We walked to a restaurant to meet friends. During lunch we got a call that our room was ready. Great service. The room was clean and had everything we needed. It is not a 5 star, but we didn't expect or pay for luxury. The breakfast was hot, fresh and good. I needed to print my ferry confirmation from my laptop and the staff helped me get that done using a hotel printer. This is a moderately priced, clean hotel in a very good location. We will return.

« We will definitely stay here again! »

This hotel is located close to the downtown area, harbour and restaurants, all within walking distance. The room we were given was a suite, very nice, big and clean, facing away from the harbour. The only downfall was that the bedroom wall was next to the elevator shaft, I think it was number 606? So, if you are a light sleeper, this would be an issue. Breakfast was included and was always well stocked. We definitely will stay here again! We booked on AirMiles, but would stay here even if we hadn't.

    5
    « A Wonderful Place »

The Comfort Inn in Campbell River is a wonderful place to stay. From the rooms, the staff, the breakfast, the parking, and the location, this place has it all. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spotlessly clean and well appointed. We always look forward to our stays here.

« Best Western Plus Inner Harbour, Victoria, B.C. »

Our recent getaway weekend to Victoria, B.C. was an absolute dream. We stayed at the Best Western, Inner Harbour. The location of the hotel is perfect, easily within walking distance of downtown stores and restaurants and a block from the scenic harbour. Our room was quiet and spacious, a balcony with a view of the harbour, 2 very comfortable Queen beds, separate kitchen nook complete with stove, fridge, microwave, coffee maker and all the extra amenities one could ever want. There were adequate plug ins for all our devices. This room had everything! All of the staff were courteous and helpful. The full breakfast was first class. Wish we could have stayed for a week! The only improvement we could suggest is if there were some pet rooms offered to allow us to bring our much beloved Golden Retriever with us.

    4
    « Downtown location »

This hotel is well positioned to be in walking distance to theatres museums and other amenities. Hotel services and accommodation was very good. Amenities in and around the close by downtown harbour area are great.

« Location, wonderful staff and very nice room »

This lovely hotel is just a short walk from the ferry landing. The staff at the front desk are top rate. Since we took the early ferry from Port Angeles our room was not ready which we knew it would not be. They stored our luggage and we were on our way exploring Victoria. When we came back from the tourist office etc our room was ready. Beautiful room over looking a Victoria park. Our room had two very comfortable chairs, a small kitchenette with a table and two chairs. The king size bed was so comfortable and the pillows the best we have had in a long time at any hotel. We had one small problem and contacted the front desk and before we knew it maintenance was there taking care of the problem. We stayed in rm#401 the nights of December 7th, 8th and 9th. Perfect location to see the lights on the Parliament Building, restaurants etc. Victoria is beautiful any time of the year but having a nice place to stay like this Inn makes it a plus. Plan to stay here again.

« Comfortable Stay in Victoria »

This hotel has well designed rooms with all the amenities required for a comfortable stay. Friendly Staff, clean rooms and public areas, attractive interior and at a affordable price. The hotel is well located within a block from the harbour and Coho ferry yet a quiet location and pleasantly walkable to most places. Balconies with table and chairs and kitchenettes included with each room. Easy access to underground parking as well as an included breakfast with hot and cold items. We are happy to stay there when in Victoria, especially when they offer the Islanders special to those of us who are fortunate enough to live on Vancouver Island.

We were not sure what to expect but we were extremely pleased with the Hotel. We are planning another trip down in the next while and we will definitely stay here again.

    « A night on the town »

This Best Western is ideally located near all the downtown attractions in Victoria. Although we live close by, we often stay at this BW and pretend to be Victoria tourists. This visit included supper at Trader Vics and a movie at the iMax theatre (The Matian in 3D).

    « Very Impressed »

Was extremely satisfied with the double queen room. We just returned from Vegas and this room was at BW PLUS at Inner Harbour, Victoria was more impressive, cleaner and a lot more comfortable that the room we stayed in the Monte Carlo.

    « Good group hotel »

We recently stayed at the Best Western Plus Inner Harbor. The hotel was perfect for our needs. The location is great, the breakfast had many choices (full protein breakfast with eggs, etc.). There was parking available on the street (which we used because we had a high vehicle). The lobby is recently renovated. The room had a separate kitchen with a little sitting area instead of just a nook. My daughter and I felt very safe walking the neighborhood at night (it was beautifully lit up). This is a great location for people getting off the Clipper and fine if you're driving as well.

    5
« Perfect for so many reasons »

The Best Western Plus Inner Harbour is a perfect location, central to the downtown core, on the water, close to walking/running ocean trails, Beacon Hill Park, the list goes on and on. The scenery is stunning both on the harbour and close by. Everything is close by, from shopping to museums, the government buildings, music, wonderful restaurants, the list goes on and on. I was extremely impressed by the attention to every detail at this hotel. From the front desk reception to my amazing corner room with 2 balconies, outside furniture, a small but very adequately equipped kitchenette. Nothing was missed, everything was super clean, and the amenities of a fitness room, steam and sauna, were greatly appreciated. The price that I paid gave much more than I bargained for, including a very substantial breakfast. Thanks Best Western!!!

    « Weekend Getaway »

The room was clean, spacious with all of the amenities we needed. This was our 5th time staying at this hotel and 3 of the times we have had the same room so it feels like home to us. Great place to stay and would recommend to anyone that we know.

    « Victoria, BC Experience »

The Best Western, Inner Harbor is our first choice for any time we spend in Victoria ( recommend upgrading to the Harbor view which is spectacular). Your stay includes a free breakfast along with parking. Regardless of the fact the hotel does not have a lounge or restaurant facilities per se, there are so many choice close to the hotel it doesn't matter, The hotel's location is ideal, right downtown adjacent to the Victoria Harbor. Extremely good value for the location..

    « Lovely, »

We stayed here in early November. Two double beds and a small kitchenette. Unfortunately it was directly opposite the elevators. The hotel has a great breakfast offer which we took advantage off. Very nice. The room we had was facing the water, have a lovely view of the park, with a little peek-a-boo of the water. Lovely stay.

« great spot for walking around »

The staff were pleasant and the rooms with the harbor view were nice. We enjoyed the ability to walk to dinner and walk to catch seasonal tours. We have found the hotel quiet and comfortable. Victoria is very tourist friendly.

    « Great Stay! »

We stayed here for one week and were very lucky to be able to have the two bedroom penthouse suite. The staff are fantastic and cannot do enough for you. Thank you, Kristen, Craig and Lee. Mind you everyone there are great. The staff in the breakfast room did a wonderful job of clearing dishes away and keeping the food coming. The view from the suite was fantastic and you could have a huge get-together on the wrap around deck. The suite was spacious and we made use of the fireplace. Thanks for the extra logs Lee. The kitchen could have a tweak or two. We enjoyed our stay at this spot.

« Great Hotel close to everything »

This is a great small hotel within walking distance of all the downtown amenities. They provide a full breakfast and nice comfortable beds. We stay here whenever we go to Victoria. If you are a first time visitor to Victoria ask for a higher floor with a harbour view.

« Super Location at Affordable Price »

On a recent trip to Victoria, I stayed at the Best Wester Plus. The location was perfect for my purpose of photographing the surrounding area. It was within walking distance of the key places I wanted to go such as the Parliament buildings, harbour, Fisherman's Wharf, China Town. Everything was close at hand. There was a very good selection at the complementary breakfast (but I missed having yogurt available). Our room was very clean and quiet. Although advertised with a mini fridge and microwave, it actually had a small kitchen in a separate room. I would definitely stay there again.

« Great location and value! »

Our lacrosse team has an annual tournament in Victoria, each November. We have stayed at the Best Western Inner Harbour for the past few years and have been extremely pleased with their service and amenities. Their location is ideal -- easy walking distance to all the downtown sites and just a block away from the Clipper. Also, the staff at the front desk has always been very friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend this hotel.

    « Awesome quality, stay & value »

We had a 1 BR suite for 2 adults and 2 toddlers. Worked perfectly. Was very nice and roomy enough for the kids to move about a bit. We went Thanksgiving weekend, price was $131 CD. Not bad at all when u consider it included breakfast!!! Very family friendly and very easy to walk right off the Coho Ferry and leave the car behind.

    « Family Wedding! »

We were in Victoria to prepare for and attend our daughter's wedding. We required an early check-in in order to change and get to the wedding on time. I called the hotel a week ahead of our trip and spoke with Kayla. She explained the simple process I could use and when I called back the day of check-in, Kayla answered and remembered me! She was able to accommodate our early check-in and we were off to the wedding! We needed a good night's sleep and we got that! In spite of being steps away from restaurants, bars and entertainment spots, our room was quiet. Breakfast the next morning was more than adequate. A variety of foods were available and an attendant kept the supply fresh and breakfast room neat and clean. We used express check out eliminating any hold-up as we left to catch our flight. All of the staff we met were friendly, helpful and professional.

« Quiet hotel within steps of all that Victoria has to offer! »

We were attending a family event and needed an early check-in to prepare for the event and a good night's sleep after the event. The hotel staff were very professional and polite in explaining the process for early check-in and they were able to accommodate us. We know how busy the area is and how late the festivities go but the room was quiet and the bed superb giving us a great night's sleep. Breakfast the next morning offered a wide selection of tasty options. An attendant kept the area clean and replenished the food as needed. Check-out was quick and easy. All of the staff we met were friendly, polite, helpful and professional.

Have stayed in this hotel many times and have never been disapointed. What makes this a great place to stay is the friendly, helpful efficient front desk staff as well as other staff that we encountered. The rooms ar clean, airy and quiet. The hot buffet breakfast is very good with a good selection of hot and cold items and plentiful. To top it off, one of the best locations in Victoria, easy walk to inner harbour and the downtown core. Will definitely stay here again. and highly recommend it to others. Loved the friendly and attentive staff. It's unfortunate that the whirl pool is inaccessible, but that's not unusual during off season. I appreciated the adjusted rate as a result and the complimentary room upgrade. The little kitchenette was perfect. The room was well equipped.,the breakfast had a variety of options including several healthy options. Overall a good value in a great property right downtown. The location was fabulous. Every staff person I encountered was delightfully polite and helpful. Would not hesitate to suggest this hotel to family or anyone wanting a great place to stay in downtown Victoria.

A great hotel overall. Very clean, terrific hot buffet breakfast, close to major tourist spots, would for sure stay again. There is a good fitness room, which has a whirlpool and sauna. They were doing renovation in whirlpool area so couldn't use it, but instead we were invited to the hotel across the street to use . Very nice of best Western to go the extra AMD provide that ad an option.

    « Good location »

This hotel is very conveniently located near the harbour and city centre. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was located on the harbour side of the hotel and was clean and quiet. The only negative is the upholstered chairs could use a good cleaning. A good breakfast topped off our pleasant stay.

    « Very good choice »

this is our second visit to this hotel. We have also stayed at the Empress. We chose this hotel because the location is excellent, there is a secure parking garage with nominal parking fee, we can walk everywhere, and the staff is really friendly. The rooms could use a little updating, but they are clean and have kitchens. This is a good choice in a very expensive town. It is in a quiet neighborhood that is safe.

    « Victoria in November »

Best Western Inner Harbour is a wonderful Victoria location and has been nicely updated. Staff are excellent. Location is only one block from the government buildings, Inner Harbour and a short walk to Royal BC Museum and downtown shopping. We will definitely stay there again

    « Convenient location »

This Best Western hotel is located very conveniently near the inner harbour. While it is an older building, they are working hard at doing their best to keep guests comfortable Everything that can be updated - has been: granite & new faucet in the bathroom, bedding, linens etc. Our king bed was comfortable and we appreciated having 2 armchairs. Just keep in mind that it is not possible to make the hallways or doorways wider. The toilets are the old lower short bowl type and tubs look like the original ones. The halls do seem narrow by present day standards. The 'kitchen' is a tiny little niche and I guess you could cook or microwave a meal if you really wanted a challenge, but with so many nice restaurants within walking distance I don't know why you would. However the little bar fridge was nice for keeping water and snacks cold. The second sink was handy too. I found the small kitchen table was useful as a desk and/or makeup table, but the area was not well lit with just a small ceiling fixture. It was nice that the small window opened for fresh air. The kitchen lighting generally was just 'OK'; like so many hotel rooms, it tended to be on the dim side. Our room was on the second floor so the view was into the trees but it wasn't an issue as we really didn't spend much time in our room. And it was chilly/overcast so we didn't spend any time on the balcony! We felt perfectly safe leaving windows ajar overnight. Yes you can hear some noise but you are in a city and should expect that. The staff, from chambermaids to front desk and kitchen supervisors were friendly and helpful. The breakfast room is very crowded and there is a sign in the elevator stating that the peak time is 8:30-9:30. Forget about finding a table then. It's just a case of too many people in a small space. They serve the usual 'free' hotel breakfast fare: a few hot items, and toast, bagels, pastries etc. I read a comment that the pancakes were leathery. Well they are made automatically and are extruded through 2 rollers. So they cannot be like fluffy hand flipped ones. Kids would love watching the machine! They have a conveyer type toaster so that makes things s bit more efficient. The parking was $9 a day. I agree that it might as well be included in the room price because on street parking in the harbour area is almost nonexistent. The overhead clearance in the underground parking area was fine for our Buick Enclave. All in all, it's not a bad place to stay. It's safe, clean and in a great location. It's not the ultimate hotel room but it is priced accordingly even though some folks thought it was expensive. Generally, you get what you pay for. There aren't very many new hotels in the harbour and they are much pricier. Think about where you are; Victoria is a world famous destination with lots of tourists. And they prefer staying in the Inner Harbour location.

« Need to Update Bathroom and clean dishes »

The hot water between the tub and shower didn't work well. The faucets seemed out of date and didn't work well either. There were a couple of dirty dishes in the kitchen cabinets. The view was great and the so was the staff.

« nice room in a good location not too expensive »

It was a kitchenette type suite that included a stove, fridge and microwave and some utensils as well as a coffee maker and a kettle. The hotel is located an easy walk away from many different styles of restaurants and stores and museums.

« Amazing, friendly staff makes for another great stay! »

The location is perfect with an easy walk to downtown Victoria, the inner harbour, the Royal BC Museum and the BC Legislature. Our park view room this time was very nice on the second floor but a higher floor gives a much nicer view of the inner harbour. However we were more into walking and going to the theatre than sitting looking at the view. Really like the small kitchen and the king bed, super comfortable.

« best value for this newly renovated hotel »

We stayed at this hotel for one night in Nov. Room 603 with king size bed, balcony, three seat sofa and kitchenette plus Harbour view. Bed and bedding were very comfortable. Room was spacious and clean. Free breakfast with good selection of bread, fruit, toast, egg, and sausage. Parking is extra $7 per day. Overall best value for the quality.

« This is where you want to be in Victoria »

The Best Western Plus is a block off the inner harbor overlooking a park and the harbor beyond. Our room was on the 3rd floor. It was compact, but not tiny with a comfortable decor. There was a kitchen, which we chose not to use, a desk, 2 Comfy Queen beds, and full bath with tub. Our balcony overlooked the park. There is a charge of $9 CAD/day for parking in the gated basement garage with in and out privileges, and it is well worth it. You can use a luggage cart to roll your bags to the elevator and right to your room. They have a guest laundry, a beautiful lobby, and wonderful full breakfast included. There is cable TV and free WIFI. You can walk to any point in the scenic inner harbor area in minutes and we felt very safe walking after dark. The Provincial Parliament Building is a block away as well as the Royal B.C. Museum. I spent hours there on a previous trip. If you have time, definitely see it. The staff recommended a light lunch at Fisherman's Wharf, a short very scenic walk from the hotel. We got the best seafood chowder at a takeaway place there named Barb's. It had plentiful chunks of shrimp, crab, fish and veggies in a thick white chowder and you get about a pint size portion with garlic bread for $6.95CAD. There is a Water Taxi stop here and we took it across the harbor to the dock across the street from the Empress Hotel ($5 CAD each). There is only one caveat for this Hotel, There is NO A/C. For us in October it wasn't an issue, but there can be hot days in the summer so plan accordingly. We felt that this was an excellent value for the $120 CAD we paid.

« Great small hotel in a terrific location »

I was simply delighted with this hotel. The room was immaculate and in perfect condition. The room was spacious, and the kitchenette was spotless. The housekeeping staff didn't miss a thing when servicing the room --- including refilling the facial tissue dispenser (something that is often missed in other hotels.) The complimentary breakfast was one of the better ones of its type, even offering a fresh fruit salad for those looking for a more healthy breakfast. My only disappointment was that they didn't offer hot oatmeal --- just instant oatmeal packets. The front desk has an extensive DVD library --- we borrowed a DVD to play on the DVD player in our room, which was most welcome after a tiring day. The location can't be beat. You can easily walk to the Parliament building, the Royal B.C. Museum, and the downtown shops. Plus, at the end of our stay, the ferry was only a 1 1/2 blocks away! There is free street parking after 6pm on Friday and through the weekend, which was also a real plus --- we didn't need to utilize the hotel's paid parking facility. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. I would definitely stay here again.

« Beware, horrible elevator noise as others have mentioned »

Do not stay here unless you sleep with ear plugs. I should have read more reviews before staying here. The hotel has an ongoing problem with elevator noise that effects many rooms (staff tell me it's quite a few rooms, management claims its only a handful). The noise keeps you up at night and wakes you up early in the morning. You can hear every time the elevator is in use.

    « Great location »

The location of this hotel is great. We like to walk and everything we like to do is in walking distance. The staff were professional, helpful, and friendly. I was surprised that we did not have any trouble with the Internet. The bed was very comfortable and we really like the small kitchenette area.

« Great place to stay!!! »

We have stayed at this property a few times now and are always pleased with the service, the room and the location. Very easy to access different venues in downtown Victoria. It is our Go To place when visiting in Victoria B.C.

« Good place to stay »

The BW Inner Harbour is a good place to stay. The hotel is in a good location and the rooms/breakfast/amenities are very good. The only downside is the charge for parking. We have been going to this hotel for years and parking used to be complimentary.

« Great location and great value!. »

We stayed here for a weekend away and were surprised at the value we received. The checkin was efficient and welcoming. The room was comfortable with a balcony and a well appointed kitchenette. And look out Westin....the big kingsize bed was "heavenly". Staff were happy to give us extra coffee too! The location is hard to beat. A block from the water and easy access to walk from the hotel to downtown Victoria. Victoria is a great walking citty so a hotel that's walking distance to shops, attraction etc. is a big plus! I would definitely stay here again! And they have a deal for island folks! fyi parking is an additional $9/day

    « Victoria BC »

The hotel was centrally located and an easy, pleasant walk to city center. The hotel has balconies with beautiful views. The breakfast was ample and I especially liked the fresh pineapple. We have not stayed in Best Westerns but they seemed to be predominant throughout our Pacific NW vacation and offered the best value for the money. The decor was attractive and the beds were comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel for your stay in Victoria.

    « Good Choice »

Stayed here for three nights while visiting Victoria. Everything was positive at this hotel. The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were up to date and very clean. Location is very central, we parked our car (fee) in the underground and were able to walk to all the downtown area venues. The breakfast (included) was average but very adequate. Would certainly stay here again. Complimentary newspapers at the front desk upon request. Indoor Whirlpool is available although we did not use it.

    « value-for-money hotel »

Forced to book for our family accommodation on the fly, I was able to secure a great value booking at Best Western Plus Inner harbour. Aside from the relatively cheaper rate, the hotel boasts of a great location that allows easy and leisurely walk to the areas of interest along the harbour. The rooms' kitchenette also allow you to eat in and save on lunch or dinner, which are relatively expensive in the area especially for a family of 5-6. The rooms were of good size and while they do not have posh and luxurious interiors, you can expect functional features and efficient layout.

« Great hotel in great location »

Very nice with small kitchen...great breeze at night with the balcony door open. The location to the wharf/pier etc., was very good. This is an ideal place to visit as there are a lot of things to do.

« Nice big rooms, good breakfast, good location. Kinda boring. No lobby area. »

We stayed here due to the price and easy location off the Ferry from Port Angeles. The lobby is a bit below grade, small, unexciting, no where to work or meet. The rooms were not ready on time, but when we did get in, they were very spacious, kitchen area, balcony, but modestly decorated. Nice. Not amazing. I rank 4 stars based on fair value and good location.

« Beautiful property, superb location and excellent service »

My husband and my mother in law stayed in the penthouse suite and it was definitely one of the best rooms I've ever stayed in. Everything from the decor to the view was stunning. True it is more pricey, but worth it if you have several people in your party. Perfect for a family. The suite has 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, dining room and a gorgeous living room (with a pullout bed). Best of all is the incredible view of the victoria harbor complete with a huge wraparound deck and patio furniture! What tops it off is the chic and swanky decor, which was surprising to me as I don't typically associate Best Western with swanky. Our room even had a crystal chandelier and working fireplace. Each bedroom has an ensuite - the master has a jacuzzi tub. The deck is ginormous and a great place to watch the sunset (and rise!). Wi-fi was excellent. Location is perfect if you're arriving from Seattle. My mother-in law cannot walk very far and she was able to easily do the very short, non-steep walk from the harbor. Surrounding area is a quiet tree-lined street and since victoria downtown is compact, you can walk everywhere from this hotel. The only non superb thing was the sad microwave eggs that is standard in the best western hotel breakfast- but hey its free so I feel bad complaining :) The staff was also very polite and helpful. Nice lobby with coffee and tea all day. Lastly if you do stay in the penthouse suite - there are two suites - we were in 802 which seemed like it had a more direct and picturesque view of the harbor. Highly recommended!

« Always like coming home »

This was our third stay at this location with another one planned for next month. The suites are amazing - they allow you to make an extended day and not have to eat out all the time, and with the included full breakfast, this is even easier. The staff is beyond amazing. No matter what time of day or night, they are there for you. They greet you when you return with a heart felt hello and ask how your day was. If you have any questions about the area, or need anything, they will jump for you. We were thrilled to be able to swim in the outdoor pool in October, as most other hotels had their outdoor pools shut down. We are looking forward to returning next month and are also looking into the winter long term stay program.

    « Fantastic stay »

We stayed at this hotel in September for one night and upon arrival was pleased to find we were upgraded to a higher floor with a terrific view of the inner harbour! The staff for extremely friendly and helpful. The room was immaculate and the beds were very comfortable. Also enjoyed the self-serve breakfast buffet the next morning. So many breakfast options! I will definately stay at the Best Western on the Inner Harbour in the future.

« Best of Best Western! »

Victoria is our favorite getaway that we do at least once a year, and each time we choose a different hotel. Last week, we stayed in Victoria's Best Western Plus for 4 days and loved it! We have been to many hotels that include breakfast but theirs was one of the best; the options were many, food was prepared well and tasted delicious, everything was kept clean, staff was friendly and attentive. We prefer to walk onto the ferry and this hotel was a 5 minute walk from the terminal. At the reception desk, Craig greeted us like we were old friends and we immediately felt welcomed. Whenever we had a question about places and schedules, we would ask the front desk staff and they'd get us an answer with a smile and friendly conversation. Our room overlooked the park that is in front of the hotel and beyond the trees was the inner harbor, a great view to wake up to. We had a small kitchen with a dining table, bed was comfortable, and best of all, the hotel is on a road one block off the main road with very little traffic, so it was quiet. We were within easy walking distance to museum, IMAX, vendors along the harbor, Bay Centre mall, restaurants, Beacon Hill Park. We enjoyed the jacuzzi and the fitness room had all the right machines. We like to sleep in when we're on a getaway and by the 2nd day, the maids left a sign that only had "do not disturb" on both sides so there was no question as to what we wanted - a wonderful touch showing they were paying attention and understood! That's never happened at any other hotel.

    « Great place »

The whole experience was excellent from check in to check out. The staff was friendly and ready to answer any questions. For example, when I inquired what movies were playing the young lady not only looked it up but gave me a computer printout. Both me and my wife enjoyed the breakfast which covered a wide variety of items. We also liked the location. It is close to everything so we did a lot of walking instead of driving, which works well because trying to find parking in downtown Victoria can be quite an event.

    « Lovely hotel »

Great room with balcony and separate kitchenette (fridge, microwave, stove/oven and sink). Beds were very comfortable and room was super clean. Breakfast was a bit below par - eggs were apparently heated under a broiler and were scorched. Coffee good and pastries ok. Front desk was a great help in finding restaurants that we could walk to. You can walk almost anywhere in the inner harbor area from here and it is 1 1/2 blocks from the Port Angeles ferry. If you have a car, parking is a bit extra in secured, underground area.
