« Top Value in a favorite Hotel Brand »

Although we tend to stay at Best Westerns more than other brand hotels, this one was a real surprise with terrific value that we did not expect. The lady checking us in upgraded us to a very large room with all of the comforts of home.

    « Comfy place »

We had a great room with a jacuzzi. The breakfast was buffet and had a wide selection from eggs, hash browns, bacon to yogurt and fresh fruit. We enjoyed the room and the area. A little town with lots to offer.

    « Decent hotel »

it is a fairly well maintained hotel especially considering how old it is. It has the motel feel with the exterior room access and is lacking in some features such as a fitness center of any value. but if you don't require a fitness center with even the basics of some dumbbells then you probably won't even notice. The breakfast is good; they send you next door to JB's for their breakfast buffet, which is not spectacular but generally better fare than a normal continental breakfast will be.

    « Great trip »

This was one of the best stays we have experienced. Every one was great the room was clean and nice. The employees were wonderful to work with. I would stay here again and would recommend this place to anyone passing through Vernal

« Checked in at 4pm, big rooms, friendly service »

We checked in at 4PM, room is big and has everything. Fully equipped with microwave, fridge even a freezer. Pool is surrounded by a fence. Looks like a motel but rooms are very comfortable. We had a nice stay on our way to Yellowstone NP.

« Nice room, comfortable bed »

We stayed here for 2 nights on our way up to Yellowstone. The rooms are well appointed and the bed was comfortable. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Situated on the main road, it is a short walk to bars and restaurants.

    « Vacation »

Wow where do I start. We expected a bit of a hick town but were absolutely amazed to find this place. The hotel was one of the best we have stayed in. The staff were very friendly the room very large well maintained, extremely comfortable super clean in fact you could smell that the housekeeping had been done every time we came in. The complimentary breakfast arrangement with the restaurant next door was excellent. I cannot praise this place enough. While you are here go to moonshine arch (if you can find the turnoff) well worth the trek. Also National dinosaur quarry. Again well worth the trip I highly recommend Best Western Antlers. (And no one paid me to write this)

    « Good family hotel »

I was a bit worried about what this place would be like given some previous comments on this site. But I needn't have. The hotel is set out more like a motel with parking spaces in front of each room. The pool is in the centre of the complex, has a couple of modern and bright sun loungers though the pool water looked a bit murky. The room is good sized with big TV, fridge and coffee maker. As well as the 2 queen sized beds, there are also 2 easy chairs, though the space is a bit cramped in front of the chairs. Bathroom clean and modern with a good shower. Check in was quick and efficient. Didn't have much to do with the staff but those we met were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is included and taken at JBs restaurant next door. You have to collect vouchers for reception in the morning (I don't know why they can't just give them to guests when the check in). Breakfast is a buffet and has plenty of good choices. The hotel is centrally located on the Main Street, there is a supermarket next door and a Starbucks across the road. Apart from JBs, you would need to drive to eat out. About a half hour drive from Dinosaur visitor centre.

« Best hotel in Vernal »

The Best Western Antlers Hotel is by far the best place to stay in Vernal. A friend of mine told me that he remembers the Antlers from as far back to the 50s, and it's been a favorite hotel of all the people who live in north eastern Utah and western Colorado ever since. I stay at the Antlers every time I have to spend a night in Vernal, and I've never been disappointed. Even though it's been in business for a long time; the rooms have been constantly updated, are very clean and comfortable, and have all the amenities which you would expect from a much more expensive hotel. Great hotel; very reasonably priced, and run by really great people.

« Friendly staff, comfortable and charming location! »

My family and I had an absolutely wonderful experience at the Best Western Antlers in Vernal. Near the end of a 2 week national park road trip (catching up on our reviews), we had just finished visits to Bryce Canyon, the Grand Canyon, and Arches.. We planned a brief overnight stay near Dinosaur National Park before we got back on the road to Wyoming for 5 days in Yellowstone and the Tetons. Upon checking in at the Best Western Antlers, we casually started a conversation with the reception staff who, upon hearing the length of our travels as well as the remaining stretch ahead of us, upgraded my family to a 2 bedroom suite so we could relax and stretch out. (I can not say enough nice things about the women at the counter for this random act of kindness.) The rooms were extremely comfortable and clean, the pool area was very well maintained, and the location in this cute town was a perfect location. The room was so comfortable, in fact, that we cut our visit to Dinosaur a little short just so that we could come back and enjoy the one-night stay at the hotel and in town. 100% recommend this location!

    « Nice hotel »

I had a very pleasant experience at the hotel. The room was clean. Staff was very helpful. It was quiet all night. The location was right in the middle of town. The breakfast was a full buffet. I would recommend this hotel. It has two family rooms.

    « Enjoyed our stay »

This motel could be considered older but we enjoyed it as much as a newer one. Very large room with sink both inside and outside the bathroom. It was quiet and very clean. Beds were very comfy. We enjoyed the hot tub and the excellent free breakfast at the restaurant right next door. The morning clerk was very helpful with information about the area attractions. We would love to stay here again!

    « Nice hotel »

We stayed here while visiting the Vernal area with friends. Not a top hotel, but rooms were very clean and the bed was quite comfortable. There is a small pool with lounging area, although we didn't have time for a dip. We were given vouchers for the restaurant next door for free breakfasts and were thrilled with the selection of food on the buffet! Very nice mid range hotel. We would stay here again.

« Older but remodeled nicely »

Vernal is not a town for fancy motels. This one looks like a 60s style motel, but renovated and comfortable. We were impressed with the size of the room, the two recliners and updated fixtures. We had a microwave and fridge and new tv. The pool is centered on the courtyard and was very nice. The hot tub was indoors but closed. You get chits for the restaurant next door. We had the breakfast buffet, which was a full one with a nice selection of items. We happened to like a drive up to the door motel more than the indoor rooms. Our overall experience was very good.

    4
    « Quiet and clean »

Located on the Main Street but very quiet. Nice to park right in front of our room with the motorcycle. Very quick and pleasant check in. Room was spacious and clean with separate shower/sink areas. Bed was comfortable and room also had small sitting area, fridge and microwave. Nice chairs outside the room to sit and enjoy the evening. Outdoor pool was nice and not crowded, breakfast vouchers provided at front desk in the morning for breakfast buffet at the restaurant next door to hotel which had an amazing selection.

    « Still good for before/after rafting. »

This is our second trip to Vernal for rafting. We stayed the night before the trip and the night after. Very clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay again. The one down side for me was the smokers. Our family members are non smokers. On both nights there were folks smoking outside their rooms close to ours. This made sitting outside impossible for us.

    « July 2016 »

We stayed in the Honeymoon/Executive Suite for our 12 year Anniversary. I was amazing! The room is large and has a large hot tub built into the bathroom floor! Way Awesome! The spa was weird that is was in the same exact room as the community hottub, and therefore had a must smell.

« Best Hotel in Vernal, Utah »

The entire staff at the hotel (owners, front desk, house keeping and maintenance) are very friendly and helpful. Excellent Customer Service, will go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. My vote for the best hotel in Vernal, Utah.

« Great hotel for Vernal »

We needed a hotel for one night after a long drive. Not only was the price of this hotel a deal but the size of the room, the quality of the breakfast and use of a laundry room just made the choice an even better. Add in a welcoming personality at reception and a great service/selection at breakfast and you have a wonderful experience for a family on vacation!

    « Enjoyed my stay »

Our rooms were larger than average which was nice. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was included in the rate and was served in the restaurant next door. We all enjoyed what was served. The exercise room was in the hot tub room so if you wanted to work out you had to breathe the chlorine fumes. The hot tub was bigger than the average. The outside pool was average sized for a hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful.

    4
    « Would stay again »

Loved our room and bathroom spacious. Good beds, real bathtub, excellent shower. Towels were big and fluffy. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Rated as a 4 due to some minor stains on carpet Breakfast was a voucher for the restaurant next door for the buffet. Wonderful selection of breakfast foods. Restaurant was clean and waitresses were friendly. We would definitely stay here again

This is a clean and comfortable hotel with a warm and welcoming staff. Included buffet breakfest is very good. Rooms are maintained in an excellent condition. The hotel is conveniently located near local attractions.

    « Very Good Hotel »

This hotel is brand new so everything is clean and new. The staff is very friendly and the free breakfast is at JB's. The free breakfast is a buffet and the food is ok. We didn't swim in the hotel's swimming pool is small but the water looked clean. I would stay here again. It is in the middle of town.

« Great place to stay »

This was a very good looking motel from the outside and the room was even better. The room was very neat and clean. The employees were friendly and helpful. The breakfast at the restaurant next door was a nice place to have breakfast. I enjoyed my stay at this Best Western better than any other I have been in.

« Great hotel for the price »

Was in town on some family business. This hotel was clean and easy access to where I needed to be. The kids lived in the pool. Staff was friendly and very helpful. I would stay here again when in Vernal.

« Great place to stay near the Dinosaur National Monument »

Our stay was great! Big clean room, equipped with two sinks, tub and shower, microwave and fridge. My kids love the swimming pool. Room was clean and staff was super friendly. I would absolutely stay there again. We enjoyed the Vernal Brewery down and 4Brothers Pizza in the other direction. And absolutely go to the Dinosaur Museum across the street from the brewery! It's very affordable with premium exhibits. It's almost entirely hands on which is good for little ones.

« Great place to stay »

The rooms are very comfortable feels like home away from home. My daughter and granddaughter loved playing in the pool. I enjoyed the spa, just as a reminder... NO ONE UNDER 14 IN SPA AREA. That was our only problem, but the staff was great at helping us out with that situation.

    4
    « Excellent breakfast »

This was mid way through our trip so it was very nice to have room that we could sleep in and an excellent breakfast to start the day. The hotel is older and remodeled several times per the staff. The location is good and our room was good for sleep. We used the restaurant next door for the complimentary breakfast and were not disappointed.

    « What a nice place! »

To begin with, the young lady who checked us in could not have been friendlier. This Best Western is really lucky to have such great customer service. We had a room with two queen beds and it was huge. It had two beds, two easy chairs, a desk, and there was still lots of extra room. There were two sinks, one in the bathroom and one outside the door. The towels were really fluffy and nice sized. The outdoor pool was the perfect temperature and was a great size. Right next to it is a separate kiddie pool. The hot tub was in an adjacent room. The pool towels were the same large fluffy towels. Breakfast was at the JB's restaurant next door. It was a full hot buffet. Checkout was quick and again the front desk clerk was very friendly. I tried to search this property online before arriving, but it would never pull up on the Best Western site. I therefore called the property to book directly. When I was finally able to view it online after we stayed, I noticed they offer a 10% discount for reward members. I did not get that discount by calling the property directly. Therefore, I would recommend booking online if you are a member. I would definitely recommend staying here.

    « Nice Hotel »

Very friendly desk. Clean room, Nice TV (w HBO). Very comfortable rocking chairs. Quiet rooms. Good beds. Coin laundry, hot tub and workout room. Great breakfast at restaurant next door. (Stop by the desk and ask for the voucher before you go to the restaurant.) $30 or $40 cheaper than the other Best Western less than a mile east. Took a star off because the WiFi was broken, told the lady at the desk when I checked out and she promised to call the repairman right away. (Looked like it really should have worked. 2 big antennae on the roof of the laundry building should have put out more than one bar when standing right under one.

« Best Hotel Breakfast Ever, Comfortable Beds, Great Shower and Friendly Staff »

Spent two nights at Best Western Antlers and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel has a breakfast deal with the restaurant next door and what a breakfast! Eggs, bacon, sausage, french toast, pancakes, hash browns, home fries, great biscuits and gravy and a variety of fruit. The best hotel breakfast we've had. The room was very comfortable with two queen beds with many pillows and two comfortable rockers. The shower is great, lots of water. In room coffee. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Hot tub and indoor pool were clean. I rarely rate hotels as excellent but had no choice here.

    4
« Comfortable, dependable and clean »

Have stayed here numerous times in the last few years, and have not been disappointed. If there is ever a problem with anything, the staff is courteous and helpful. Vernal has a VERY WIDE range of hotels/motels, good to bad. The Antlers never disappoints.

« okay, but not great »

I stay at a lot of Best Westerns, and this one wasn't very good. Apparently there is a lot of fracking going on in Vernal, and the hotel appeared to be utilized by lots of workers. I thought my daughters were walking around the parking lot in their bare feet, only to realize their feet were completely blackened from the CARPET. Crude oil blobs were in the parking lot as well, and were being tracked into the rooms by guests. Workers were sitting outside their rooms in the evenings, drinking beer and talking. Their work trucks are parked in the parking lot. I don't mind that, and the guys were polite and pretty quiet ... but this is not a hotel full of travelers ... this hotel is being used by people who are basically living there while they work in the fracking industry. This makes the hotel very dirty. The air pollution from fracking was obvious, and we were having trouble breathing (wheezing and coughing) while we were there. The town is cute and clean, and Dinosaur National Monument was great. I feel sorry for the people that have to live in Vernal with all the dirt and pollution. This is NOT the hotel's fault. If you have to stay in Vernal, this is probably as good as it gets. If you can stay in another town, that would probably be a better idea.

    4
« Good clean place with great breakfast »

Room was large, clean and well appointed. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast is included in the room rate and is at the JBs restaurant located in the hotel parking lot. There is a little road noise from large trucks traveling down the street.

    « Surprised and Pleased! »

My husband and I stayed here in September,2015 while visiting several national parks out west. While in Vernal, we visited Dinasour NP and the Dinasour Museum and both were amazing. The motel was very clean and we had a large room with two recliners which were great to relax and watch the large flat screen tv. The king size bed was very comfortable. The lady at the check-in desk was very friendly and helpful. We loved this little town with all the beautiful flowers which lined the streets. It looked like something out of a painting. It isn't a luxury motel but we liked and enjoyed our stay and would recommend it. We were given a voucher to eat breakfast at a restaurant next door where we had the breakfast buffet.

    3
    « Eh... »

Nothing very special, hotel is old, but it is very clean. The internet is awful, but the beds are comfy. The staff is friendly. The breakfast is at the next door JB's coffee shop and is a basic buffet.

    4
    « Room comfort/issue »

This motel is a nice motel. Friendly staff and management, clean and comfortable. The only issue I have is the positioning of the TV. You cannot lay on the bed and watch TV because it is either on your left or right, not straight ahead of you. 2 things you do in a motel to pass time is work and watch TV.

    3
    « Comfortable Bed »

My wife & I recently stayed in the Honeymoon Suite. We reserved this room because of the in room jacuzzi. The room was spacious & clean with all we needed. Our biggest problem was with the water which on the first night took forever to fill the jacuzzi. The second day we had no hot water at all. Now they did get it fixed but by the time water was hot enough we where out of the mood for jacuzzi! Very friendly staff.

    5
« great quality at reasonable price »

We always try to stay at Best Western hotels when we vacation. We have found that they are almost always clean and great quality for the money spent. Excellent service and friendly helpful employees at Vernal. Extremely please with our stay.

« antler best western vernal utah »

Clean and large room moderately priced. Excellent experience. No complaints. Large bars of soap, two sinks, two large chairs and plenty of good pillows. Breakfast is included and is served at a breakfast buffet at a restaurant next door to the hotel.

    « Surprisingly good! »

This was a great place to stay while visiting Vernal and Dinosaurland. We stayed there the night prior to a four day rafting trip. The room (a suite) was perfect for our family of five and pretty reasonable in price. It was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast buffet at the restaurant next door was plentiful with a good variety of hot and cold foods. The staff was helpful and courteous. Nice hot tub room and the pool was pleasant as well. I would recommend this place when visiting Vernal.

    4
« Nice place to stay. »

I stayed in room 150 last night. The room was clean, and the free WiFi worked alright. The hotel is an old building, but the main thing is they keep it clean. The complimentary breakfast is in the JB's restaurant next door. The buffet is fine. I would stay here again.
