LOVED Hotel Olimpia in Venice, Italy! A charming boutique hotel magnificently maintained with all the Venetian charm. Awesome, welcoming and helpful staff. Beautiful breakfast buffet with delicious options. Outdoor courtyard garden provides added privacy and ability to relax in quiet setting. Room was comfortable and charming. A 10 minute walk from train station. Would highly recommend this property to anyone who is looking to be away from the large crowds but still have very easy access to everything in Venice.

Exceeded expectations. Stayed one night with my two sons for convenience to train station and to shuttle bus to early morning flight. Hotel is visible from Piazzale Roma but quiet and peaceful because it is across a canal. Room for three with double and couch was surprisingly spacious by European standards and comfortable, with nice extra touches. Pleasant garden, generous breakfast buffet, and very friendly staff.

Could not fault this hotel. Lovely position, close to the bus station, trains and waterbuses. Very clean rooms, staff all very helpful. Breakfasts very good, plenty of choice. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in this beautiful city.

Hotel was at a perfect location. View of. canal was great. Andrea the concierge was our personal favorite. Charming, friendly, knowledgeable, and booked our water taxi. Loved the stay! We were in our honeymoon and would recommend the hotel to lovers and friends alike. Cafe across the canal was also good.

Very nice hotel, staff very friendly. The rooms are very clean. Excellent breakfast with several types of prosciutto and cheeses. Blueberry cake is very tasty. The hotel also has a nice area for breakfast in the courtyard. Good location near parking. We will be very happy to come to this hotel again.

This hotel was wonderful. The staff in all areas from check in, bar, bellman, breakfast attendants, etc were so kind and helpful. The room was very clean and worked wonderful for 3 single beds/guest. I was traveling with my 2 adult daughters. The breakfast had many options. The garden space in the back was very peaceful but we did not spend anytime there due to weather being chilly. This is the perfect place to stay if you are only in Venice for a short time with its proximity to the bus/train station. I cannot imagine haveing to be across the island and have to catch an early morning flight. We had to fly out at 6:30am so I knew that being in the area was a must. I would hightly recommend this hotel!

A very comfortable stay at Hotel Olimpia Venice. Despite being an old building, the room is newly renovated, clean and comfortable. The hotel is situated near the bus and train station, that we did not need to drag our luggages across too many bridges. It is also very accessible to the attractions in Venice by water bus or even walking. The breakfast spread is great Thank U to the reception staff Thomas, Alessandra, Stephen for your hospitality.

Amazing hotel from the minute we arrived until the minute we left my 60th birthday holiday the room was amazing complete with balloons rose Petals and chocolates big shout to the lovely lady who checked us in ( sorry didn't get name ) and Alexandross so helpful would highly recommend and in ideal position if you are getting bus into Venice just a 25 mins walk to st marks square and attractions a massive THANK YOU for making my birthday celebrations amazing and totally unforgettable

We were booked in at the Hotel Arlecchino but when we arrived, it was closed for maintenance. We were upgraded to their sister hotel, the Olimpia. And we were not disappointed such a beautiful hotel, everything was just gorgeous! The staff were so friendly & the service was great! We had breakfast included, continental style. The hotel itself was about 10 mins walk from the bus station we arrived at from the airport, in the San Croche district. We were about a 20/25 mins walk to the Rialto Bridge. So we were just right for being central . We had a fabulous stay in Venice & would highly recommend the hotel.

We were booked into the sister hotel 3/4 doos up but on arrival at the Hotel Arlecchino at 1 am, it was in darkness and we were directed to the Olimpia via a note on the door. At 1 am and, with no prior notice from our booking site or the hotel we were concerned however, we were met with a warm welcome and were in our room within minutes. The room was clean and warm with everything you could need including a small fridge with water which was very welcome. The location of this hotel and the sister hotel was perfect. Literally, a 2 minute walk when you get off the airport bus. You can see the hotel from Piazalle Roma. A little further to walk to the main sites but that is part of the appeal of Venice. 5 minute walk to the Water Bus and Taxis and there is a supermarket within easy reach too. Breakfast is continental style and you help yourself. Plenty to get you started for the day. We had an enjoyable few days in Venice and no issues with the hotel.

The hotel is in a great location, a short and easy walk from the train station and convenient to all the major sites but the neighborhood still feels quiet and cozy, less touristy which is what we wanted. The staff were warm and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious and being able to sit in the garden in the evening and drink some wine was lovely. It felt like we had all of Venice to ourselves. The rooms were beautifully appointed, exactly as advertised in their online pictures, if not better. Thank you for making our stay so special. We highly recommend Hotel Olimpia Venice and look forward to coming back in the future!

We stayed here in December 2023 with our toddler daughter. The hotel made sure we had a portable crib set up with sheets and pillows. The room was spacious and we had a view of the canal. The breakfast was pretty standard. They have a pretty courtyard as well that I imagine is even prettier in the warmer months. It was close to the train station so we did not have to load our luggage and stroller on an ACTV as we made our way to our next destination. Would stay in again when visiting Venice.

Very convenient location, a 5 minute walk from the bus stop (if you're taking the bus from the airport) and a 10 minute walk from the train station. It's at the quieter part of Venice with easy access to great coffee and food. It takes about 20-30 to walk to St. Marks Square and the Rialto Bridge. It was great strolling through the alleyways and bridges to get to the busier parts of Venice. Hotel staff were excellent. They were friend y and very accommodating. The rooms were very clean and cozy. There is air conditioning for the summer months. Free water, coffee, and tea were also provided in the room. Highly recommended hotel for those traveling between cities in Venice!!

Great hotel close to the train station ( which is a great asset in Venice). The hotel has been recently renovated and the staff was extremely friendly.All commodities were extremely well kept and the garden extremely peaceful ( it should be an amazing place for the summer). Highly recommended!

. I would like to believe I have balanced views and reasonable in my reviews, but I am confused. How did this hotel get such good reviews. Let's start on a positive note. Effective prompt communication on booking the hotel and subsequent responses. The front desk staff are pleasant, and the hotel is clean. The location is reasonable. Moving on to what is not so good. The pictures on the website don't reflect the hotel accurately in my views. The rooms are small, and the double bed [ two single beds joined] was uncomfortable The breakfast was passable, but the staff was rude, and I could swear I felt a hint of racisim. Lastly, we felt this was not good value for money.

I was a bit skeptical booking for a group here because I was totally unfamiliar with the area and property. And I was unfamiliar with Be there in 20 minutes Signature hotels. From the moment I walked through the front door I was super impressed. The staff greeting was exceptional. Front desk and concierge rolled into one beautiful experience! Clean and sizable rooms. Great courtyard. I am glad we had a courtyard room. Super quiet. My friends thought the canal view room was noisy with all the activity on the water and across the way. I really enjoyed the location. More laid back than Rialto and San Marco and you gen get to those hot spots by foot or water taxi, public transport easily. Checkout was a snap and they arranged transport with Roberto to the airport for our party of 6. Super good breakfast too. I'll be back!

The service, decor, location, breakfast at the Olimpia Hotel in Venice were all superb. The staff patiently answered all our questions, provided recommendations when asked, made suggestions on how to get to places of interest and things we wanted to see and were attentive and gracious at all times. Our room was elegant, clean, and well-maintained. We enjoyed the view of the canal from our window. The options at breakfast were beyond our hopes and being able to eat either outside by the canal or next to the hotel's lovely and welcoming garden made breakfast an even greater delight. Just stayed here for a few nights last week on our 10 day trip through northern Italy. Highly recommend this hotel as it's in a fantastic location: 8 min walk from the train station and right over a small bridge from the last area of parking for the island of Venice lagoon. Venice is also slammed with tourist so it's nice to be out of the main tourist areas. Staff are also super friendly, rooms are clean, and breakfast is spectacular!

Beautiful rooms, excellent staff. We got the bus from the Airport into Venice (20 mins) and the hotel is minutes from the bus Station. From the hotel you can walk all around Venice, 20mins walk to St Marks Square. Nice breakfast., spotless clean, would stay here again

Thrilled with our stay here! A simple walk from the train station, plentiful dining nearby, and easy access to water transport. The junior suite was a dream with 2 windows overlooking a canal. Plenty of space in the room and a luxurious bath area. The sunning garden was a wonderful surprise to wander upon. All staff members we interacted with were gracious and helpful. I would stay again and recommend to others in a heartbeat.

The room is very nice and clean. It is so conveniently located a few minutes walk from the People Mover/Trains. Easy to get a taxi at 3:30 in the morning for our flight. No need to "water taxi" first... Great little restaurants very close by. Breakfast was delicious and so reasonable. We recommend this hotel for sure.

This hotel was perfectly located for us as it was right next to the bus station so we did not have to carry our cases all over Venice. It was a 16 century building, so was charming, but also had clean, modern facilities. The front desk staff went above and beyond to be friendly and helpful. I would not pay for the breakfast, it was very average and expensive

We had the best room in the hotel. Which was an absolutely gorgeous venetian style furnished suite. It was like stepping into a dream. The staff couldn't be more helpful and very friendly. My only disappointment was that considering it was the best room in the hotel, there were no robes to put on after a shower, which I like to use in every hotel. I was also surprised to see pencils instead of pens in the room, it seemed cheap.

Can't recommend this place enough. Amazing location. Definitely away from the hustle and bustle but within walking distance to everything. Wonderful room for 4 of us on the canal. Amazing service - Marta- and excellent breakfast. Great value, highly recommend.

This hotel is so convenient to the bus and train station in Venice. It is literally 2min walk from the bus station when you get dropped off from the airport. On arrival the hotel is very chic and welcoming with staff behind the desk over and above. They are so helpful and friendly. There was also a guy to show us to our room and take our suitcases. Breakfast is fantastic also with a good selection of warm and cold meat as well as tea coffee machines. Only shame was we only got to stay for one night

This was the perfect place to stay pre-cruise from Venice. Location wise, it's a stones-throw from Piazzale Roma - the transport hub in Venice - so perfect if you're arriving by train, bus or taxi from Marco Polo airport. Despite being so well located, it was on a quiet, little side canal with pleasant rear gardens where one can eat breakfast al fresco. If you're looking to be close to Rialto or St Mark's, it's around. 20-25 minute walk, which is absolutely fine but as always with Venice, a pain if accessibility is an issue (wheelchair or buggies have to go over so many sets of steps.) The staff were attentive and couldn't do more for us, despite our short stay. They had luggage rooms so despite us arriving early and departing after checkout, we could maximise our time in the city with our bags kept safe. The room was impressive. Although being a traditional, 16th century building, it was a well furnished, three room mini suite. It was quaint, both equally practical and comfortable. Wifi; TV; fridge; air-con in both living spaces including sleeping area; and a spacious en suite with shower. There was a small bar, which we didn't use. Breakfast was a basic affair: continental with a few cooked items though there was sparkling wine available(!) Overall, I'd definitely stay here if cruising out of Venice again.

We were here for 4 days 3 nights. We had 2 bedrooms, since there was 6 of us. The staff are wonderful and so helpful. It was a perfect setting to start our vacation. Breakfast in the am was delicious. Very convenient to get to everything. They called a water taxi to help us when we were leaving to get to the train. Definitely will be back here again.

The staff was so friendly and helpful. We only stayed one night at the very end of our honeymoon, but the hotel had a little congratulatory gift waiting in our room for us. We absolutely loved our stay in this hotel.

This was my 3rd stay at Olimpia in 13 months and I cant imagine staying anywhere else in Venice. The location is conveniently located so you wont have to drag your bags forever, yet is on a canal with a lovely garden in back, or tables out front for breakfast. I do suggest getting the breakfast pkg as they put out a wonderful spread and the location again is dreamy. The room are very clean and were the most comfortable beds and pillows in our over 2 week stay in Europe. You wont find more congenial staff anywhere and I cant rave enough about them. Nice, clean, close to train. Staff friendly & helpful. Nice to sit out & have a drink on the canal or just sit outside. Enjoyed the boat ride that we took from the hotel that gave us a nice idea of the island before we went out touring. Air conditioning fair.

We were looking for a hotel with a location easily accessed by cab to the airport and the central train station. We were able to walk to the hotel from the train station and a to a loaded cab stand at the bus terminal the next morning. What we didn't expect to find was a delightful staff that gave us great recommendations for lunch, a huge breakfast buffet in a beautiful backyard garden, and a comfortable, air-conditioned room after a day of exploring Venice. I would recommend this hotel to anyone for a Venice stay.

We stayes 2 nights in a bedroom for 3 in the 5th floor. The room was clean and had all the necessary facilities, and we even had a great view. The location was perfect, as it was close to train station, bus station and vaporetto station. The breakfast was sumptuous and could be taken inside or outside, either on tables directly at the canal, or in the nice garden.

This hotel is small & does not do lunch or dinner but the continental breakfast is excellent .A small garden at the back with tables against the canal at the front . Our bedroom was small but beautifully decorated and clean A good overnight stay the staff were fabulous

Very close to Santa Lucia station and is very clean. The staff is very nice and let us stay until late when we were waiting for our train. The room was comfortable. The only strange thing was that there was no bathroom door. It was the first time I had seen that before. Other then that the staff was extremely nice, the breakfast was pretty flavorful, and the room was clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend!

Hotel Olympia is very near the airport bus stops (brief 2-5 min walk), train stations and vaporetto station (water bus). It was super easy to get around Venice. Despite being near several transportation sites, the hotel was very quiet. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The room we stayed in was beautiful (old world charm) and clean. The cleaning staff is very meticulous and clean the rooms daily. Also, the hotel (located in the Santa Croce District) is next to the Cannaregio District, which in my opinion as a foodie, is the most charming and delicious district.

Loved the rooms and wall coverings. Great view of the canal from our room, good breakfast spread, specially made espresso and cappuccino. Rooms were very cozy and comfortable, decorated in a traditional style. Highly recommended and would certainly stay there again when next in Venice.

We stayed here in November for 4 nights. Short walk from the drop off point for the bus we caught direct from the airport, and also the train station. The vaporetto's and water taxis are also only a short walk away. Reception staff were friendly and gave us information about the local area and explained how to get to the different areas of Venice. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable, the windows had shutters which kept the room dark and quiet and kept out the rain. An excellent breakfast was included each morning, staff in the dining room were friendly and were constantly topping up the food. There was a buffet offering a wide selection of fruit juices, cereals, fresh fruit, breads, cheese, cold meats, eggs, sausage and cakes. There are many restaurants and bars within easy walking distance, we also found 2 supermarkets close by for snacks. We would definitely stay at this hotel again if visiting Venice and would highly recommend to family and friends.

Perfectly situated. Right off the main bus station, train station and boat station, made it easy to make it from the airport to the hotel. Having said that, we also enjoyed the walks across the city. Lovely room and wonderful, helpful staff. Their toys saved me some money. The accommodations were clean comfortable and practical. Had a wonderful 4 days. Also had breakfast in, one of the days, was a lovely buffet.

We are very happy to have booked in this hotel Olimpia, this hotel is a great place and all the staff was very helpful and very nice. Our superior room is very clean and very confortable. the breakfast buffet is provided but just a small problem there is not enough place inside for the breakfast ... and too cold to eat outside in the garden in november. we will be back to Venice and principally in this hotel and thank you to the staff.

We've just had our fourth visit to Hotel Olimpia and we couldn't fault it. Very clean. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast if a bit crowded at whatever time we chose to go there. Convenient location near Piazzale Roma for the airport transfer bus with only one bridge to drag your case over. We will be returning!

Very nice and very good hotel. Our triple room was rustically but was very comfortable and very nice and clean. Also all the staff was very nice, helpful and polite. Everything what we ask they do for us, and also advise from very nice and polite receptionist was very helpful details. And one afternoon, we seat in beautiful garden to rest, and ask waiter to bring us coffee, and he bring us coffee in garden and didn't charge the coffee. He said that is on garden account… Breakfast was very “rich” and always you can find good place for seating and never was crowded. If I ever will come again in Venice, I will book this hotel.

We recently booked two short stays at the Olympia around a cruise. Since we were going to be in and out of Venice a couple times, we wanted a convenient location for transport. We were a little disappointed with our initial room but Stefano at the front desk sorted it out. Thanks again Stefano! There is a small bar, a few tables by a canal but the nicest area is the open courtyard behind the hotel for breakfast, etc. Do check in with the from desk for excursions to Murano, etc.

I went to Venice on my Honeymoon with my husband last week and stayed at Hotel Olimpia. My goodness it was such a dream come true! The hotel is right on a small canal so the view from the room was amazing, the room itself was beautiful and classically romantic which is exactly what I wanted, the staff was always helpful and friendly no matter how many questions we had! We were greeted by Roberto who was so knowledgeable and kind and were helped mostly by Andrea who gave stellar recommendations on where to eat and get a gondola. Stefano and Marta also helped us alot during our stay. They arranged everything for us including a private glass blowing demonstration in Murano and a small group tour via boat along all the canal (which was cheaper than the gondola) it felt like a private boat ride, it was so romantic and beautiful I felt like a movie star my entire stay! I also want to say the bathrooms are very spacious and the cleaning staff is always on top of it refreshing the items you indicate are required (to be eco friendly they had a sign to show how to signal if you want changing towels or bedsheets which is a lovely planet friendly touch!) The location is very convenient if you take the water taxi's or train as it is very close to the stations as well. The gardens are beautiful and peaceful, so lovely to have breakfast in when the sun is out. Honestly it was such a dream come true for a honeymoon. They even put some lovely hearts and flower petals on the bed for us when we arrived along with a special surprise. I cannot wait to come back and stay again. The nicest staff, really welcomed us. Great location, able to walk within 10minutes to train station and nice walk to main attractions. Rooms sparkle clean and beautifully appointed. Breakfast fresh and so many choices. Probably only hotel with private gardens and lounges to relax and eat outside.

The hotel is well located, near bus/train station, very useful to avoid luggage transportation across the narrow streets, stairs and bridges in Venice. The hotel is good, small but clean rooms. The breakfast area, mainly the garden, is very nice. As usual in Venice, the prices are overrated, taking in account the facilities and services provided. A good choice for a short stay.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying here for 2 nights. The room was spacious with a small living room, very clean and comfortable. We loved the Italian decor. The hotel is in an excellent location and easily walkable to the train station, vaporetto, water taxis, shops, restaurants and St Marks Square. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast with an extensive selection. We also enjoyed having breakfast in the beautiful garden space. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend this hotel !

I can't fault this hotel at all. The location is excellent, you're in the beautiful city but you've got less than 10 mins walk to the station and less than 5 to the piezzale roma vaporetti. Our room was garden view and I think I prefer it to if we'd had canal view. The room was gorgeous, they strike a fine balance of lavish Venetian style without it seeming tacky. The bed was really comfortable and the facilities in the room were of an excellent standard. The staff are some of the most friendly and attentive of any hotel I've stayed in without being overbearing. We would often bring books and card games to sit in the bar of an evening but they weren't pressuring us to order drinks at any point. The food at breakfast is excellent, a great variety of choices and great quality. They even have soya milk available, which was a relief to me! Breakfast in the garden is lovely. If you're going to sit in the garden any time after midday (and I strongly recommend you do) then BRING INSECT REPELLANT because Italy has tiger mosquitoes, but obviously this isn't the hotel's problem, it's just a tip. We splashed out a bit more than we usually would because it was our honeymoon, but I would absolutely stay here again. We couldn't have found a better base to explore Venice from.

We spent 3 nights at this hotel prior to our cruise. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. We felt like we were treated like family. They arranged for a driver to pick us up at the airport. That was the best decision we made. Venice is a crazy city, with lots of bridges and no access to cars. The hotel was in a great location. The breakfast was amazing. A beautifully presented spread of food. The room was so quaint and cozy. Very much Italian. They let us checkin early, which was great as we were exhausted upon arrival and not sleeping during our flight. I highly recommend the hotel. It was the BEST!!!

The hotel is perfectly convenient near the train station! We could walk everywhere from San Croce! Best walk ever. Hotel food was excellent and the staff first class. The boat tour we took was uneventful. Driver never even greeted us. Wouldn't recommend. The rooms were clean and beautiful. They need better pillows. That was the only negative. Would stay here again for sure! Just lovely!! The grounds are beautiful and well cared for! Right on the canal!

In a word, lovely. Our stay at Hotel Olympia was wonderful thanks to the excellent staff and accommodations. The hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful, and kindly accepting of our rather nonexistant Italian. The room (on the garden side) was very quiet and comfortable with efficient A/C and a good-sized shower among the many amenities. The breakfast buffet offered a nice selection, including homemade cakes (delish). We highly recommend the Olympia and hope to visit again

Clean, well air conditioned and nicely situated on a canal. Staff was great, bar is nice. Good options nearby. Breakfast was excellent and wifi sufficient (some minor dead spots in the room). Overall highly recommended

We had such a pleasant stay! We were most nervous about getting to the hotel from the airport but it couldn't have been easier. The ACTV bus dropped us off right at Piazzale Roma & we spotted the hotel right away. €1 Breakfast in the garden was very enjoyable. It's a little further from the main tourist spots (~25-30 min walk), but we had no trouble finding our way around. The staff was very helpful & kind.

We stayed only one night, pre-cruise, at the Hotel Olimpia Venice, and wish we could have stayed longer. The staff were helpful from the beginning to the end, allowing us to drop off our luggage and answering any questions. The hotel is in a great location, within a very short walk to the People Mover. We ate breakfast there, which was a wonderful spread and with a lovely setting outside. Hotel Olimpia was a great start to our vacation!

We stayed here for 3 nights for slightly over 700 EUR. There is a 20% discount if you book direct with them - message me if you have questions on the discount. The hotel is conveniently located next to Piazzale Roma where the bus terminus is, so no need to change to another mode of transport which is great! It's on average 15-25 mins to the main sights. The rooms are decent, though small. Shower was hot and powerful, but the lack of a shower curtain means you have to be careful. Complimentary water (still and sparkling). Slippers available on request. Breakfast was included in our rate and it was a good spread, but the quality of the food can be better. No complains cos it was complimentary. Service was friendly and competent.

The second time we have been to this hotel and the staff and hotel was excellent again! The staff are very friendly and can't do enough for you, also the rooms are great and the breakfast very pleasant! A nice spot off a canal by the plaza Roma which is very handy! An awesome stay again! Only 2 minor things, 1 is that we put some drinks and food on our room as a tab during our stay and at the end when checking out the hotel had not itemised the bill, instead just told us a total sum that we owed! Obviously it would have been nice to check the bill against the food and drink that we had consumed! 2, lots of annoying pigeons and ducks at breakfast time, not sure what they can do about that? But a great stay and thank you! See you again soon!

We stayed in this hotel two nights prior our cruise and found out it is a perfect location, you only have to carry your luggage for half block and cross a small bridge. Room has all you need, space is enough, remember this is Venice, space is a luxury. Breakfast had good selection, coffee machines for all kinds of coffees, croissants, juices, hams, chesses, etc....

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Olimpia. The staff were fantastic and so helpful and the room although on the smaller side was very quaint and very comfortable and clean. The beautiful hidden garden was a real surprise and was a wonderful way to have your breakfast or a drink. Highly recommend this as a great option for a place to stay in Venice. It is nearby the water transport so access to the sites is also good.

Had an early flight the next day and chose Hotel Olimpia to explore the area and provide easy access to ride service for the next day. The hotel, rooms, and facilities are beautiful. They had a lovely garden courtyard to relax in after exploring the city. The buffet breakfast was very good with many options. Would highly recommend Hotel Olimpia.

We have just arrived home after a great 3 night stay at the Hotel Olimpia! We arrived late in which someone was waiting to greet us, we were checked in swiftly and our bags brought up to our room. The room was nice, clean and spacious, we opted to have it made up every morning and it was done so to an excellent standard, new towels, fresh bedding etc. If I had a few gripes about the room it is - our personal preference was we found the bed to be quite hard, so if you prefer a softer mattress you might not be as comfortable. Our room was situated on the second floor at the front of the property, when we had the shutters and window open our room smelt like cigarette smoke as people could smoke out the front at the tables etc. These are just minor gripes as overall we very much enjoyed. We got engaged whilst out in Venice and the hotel put a bottle of fizz, and some snacks in the room for when we got back in the evening, a nice touch. We opted to have the breakfast across our 3 mornings, very glad we did, a wide selection and variety, cooked, pastries, pancakes, fruit, cold meats, fresh juices, fresh breads, it definitely set us up for a long day out walking and exploring. The lady on reception in the mornings was lovely, a real asset to the hotel! Also was great that we were able to check out first thing and leave our luggage at the hotel so we could collect it again in the evening, allowed us to still fully enjoy our last day without worrying about our cases. Would for sure return to this hotel when we return to Venice in the future.

My Mother and I were booked into the sister hotel Arlechino for 2 nights pre cruise but were booked into this hotel 50m away instead . The hotel is really nice . Staff were brilliant . The room was spotless and lovely . The beds were so comfy. Loved having breakfast out in the garden . We will definitely return again. The location is super near bus station and vaperetto.

The mattresses and bedding are superb. Staff is extremely friendly and professional. Close to restaurants, and about 1.5 km from the main cathedrals and attractions. Ceilings are very high and rooms are appointed very nicely

We stayed three nights at this awesome property, so happy we discovered this hotel. We prefer staying closer to the train station then being in the center of Venice, so for us this was the perfect location. Very quiet area, a huge plus. The room size at this property is very spacious and comfortable compared to other hotels in Venice. The room was very clean, nice bed size. We had a corner room with plenty of windows. Loved the tea/coffee maker, a plus. Internet works great. We did not have breakfast, so I am unable to give feedback regarding the hotel restaurant. Shout out to bell boy and staff they are so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this property. Happy travels!

Amazing hotel - more than just a convenient location. Service was first class, room was a great size for the 3 of us, building and interior is classically Venetian. Highly recommended. (Breakfast service a little illogical as with most things at present but did not detract)

We really loved the position of the hotel (close to bus and train station and very close to the parking, we came by car). Our room was comfortable and with an amazing view on a small Venetian canal. Our staying was improved by the patience and good advice of the reception guy Andrea, grazi mille!!!

We stayed here for 2 nights after our cruise and loved it. After much research, I chose this hotel because of its easy access by the People Move from the cruise port. The location was perfect with easy access to the vaporetto for trips to all of the sites and the Piazzale Roma for the airport bus for our return flight. After seeing some fellow cruises trying to wrangle their luggage onto a vaporetto to get to their hotel down the canal, I was even happier with my choice. The hotel was lovely with its classic Venetian decor. We loved our canal view room, the outdoor dining along the canal, and the lovely garden. The hotel staff was wonderful and gave excellent recommendations. Highly recommended.

We spent 3 nights at this lovely hotel. It is situated on the canal in Santa Croce. We felt this are was quieter than the rest of Venice. It was great to come back after our exploring and enjoy a drink with the canal in front of us. The hotel also has a lovely garden out the back. Our room was decorated Venetian style. It had everything we needed including window that opened to the back garden. Fresh air and a lovely view. Breakfast was the usual you can take it to eat on the canal or in the garden.

Less than 10 min walk from busstation and San Marco parking (advance reservation required!). Friendly staff. Small but functional room with excellent lighting, airco, safe, mini bar(with complimentary water), tea and coffee and with wooden or stone floors. Excellent WiF and very good shower and bed. Hygiene standards are very high, one of the cleanest hotels we ever stayed at. Good breakfast but the worst capuccino we ever had in Italy! The hotel has a small garden with some lounge chairs and a few tables and chairs where you can enjoy breakfast or drinks. But dont even try the capuccino!

Ist on a perfect location for a short visit, in a walking distance to parking area when You arrive by car/bus/train and dont want to take a long walk or rent a watertaxi to an another hotel more inside Venice! Room, breakfast, cleanliness, sleeping quality is in pair with the price, or even a bit better! Our booking was for Hotel Arlecchino (50m from it, its "sisterhotel") but checkin was here, and they gave us a room here except Arlecchino!

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Olimpia Venice for 3 nights before visiting family in the greater Veneto area. It is very conveniently located in Santa Croce near Piazzale Roma (less than 2 minute walk), which is the drop off point if you take the bus from the airport, and directly located on a lovely side canal. While it is not in the middle of the most touristy areas - it's a 30 minute walk to Piazza San Marco and Ponte Rialto - there is plenty to see on the way, and part of the fun of Venice is wandering around (though you can always take the vaporetto). There are lots of cute restaurants in the area, and they are less touristy compared to what you find in other areas. The hotel has a beautiful garden area out back, and a very good breakfast. The room is a bit small, though typical of Venice, and very good quality (great bed and excellent shower). The staff was very cheerful and helpful. This hotel is a real gem at this price point, and if it was located in San Marco would cost a multiple of what we paid. Hotel Olimpia is a great base from which to explore Venice for a few days.

We have stayed in this wonderful hotel in September 2020 and became huge fans. The location is fantastic, so close to the bus/train station but also to all boat stops. From the hotel you can travel easily to Lido or anywhere you like. You can furthermore easily stroll into the city. The hotel itself is very prettig, om a canal but also with a garden. There is a neighbouring restaurant wherry you can wat in the waterside. The people working in the hotel are great, professional and kind. Everyone we met, from reception to breakfast, was fabuleus. Even a misunderstanding was handled swiftly and with care. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the future.

My group of 4 arrived to Venice late in the evening and found Hotel Olimpia. We were greeted by a gentleman wearing a pinstripe suit who showed us our rooms. Later in the night after some exploration, my group arrived back at the hotel and the same gentleman greeted us again, served us a beer, and spoke with us in length. We learned this man's name is Robert, and he is one of the most charming, genuine people I have ever encountered. I would return to Venice just to speak with Robert once more.

My partner and I stayed at this hotel for a night in August 2020 and were very impressed. The rooms were a great size and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and shower was very powerful. The hotel is a in a fantastic location for exploring Venice. Right on the canal to catch the water bus down the Grand Canal but also situated next to Piazzale Roma to catch the bus to Marco Polo Airport. There are plenty of bars and restaurants near the hotel too. Overall, I would return to this hotel again and would recommend this to anyone as a good base in Venice for a few days.

I found this place by chance, simply walking by looking for somewhere reasonably priced yet convenient for an early morning departure. I popped in and they offered me an excellent deal there and then, and I wasn't disappointed. Great location, and say to walk or water-bus to everywhere. Very high standard room, wonderfully friendly staff, excellent breakfast included. I can highly recommend this Hotel.

This is a much delayed review from our 11/2019 cruise that departed from Venice. We arrived a day early so we could have more time to explore, and chose to stay at the Hotel Olimpia based on many other positive reviews. Having never been to Venice before, locating the hotel could not have been easier. We boarded the Venice bus at the airport, which took about 20 minutes to arrive. Gathering our luggage, we only had about a 3 minute walk, maybe 300', and only one easy bridge to cross with our luggage. The website pictures are absolutely spot on. The hotel is on a beautiful canal. Check in was prompt, and we (and the couple we traveled with) were given adjacent rooms on the top floor. The room was stunning...just like the picture! Breakfast add-on for 1-Euro was SO worth it....it was delicious and had a lot of variety. On embarkation day, we just had to walk back to the same bus parking lot, and next to that was the people mover that took us right to the ship. Doesn't get easier than that. If you are taking a cruise, this is the hotel for you! Will not hesitate to stay here again!!

Excellent hotel in a great city. Staff all really helpful. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Quite quiet when we stayed due to the coronavirus scare in Northern Italy. Will definitely stay again in the future.

First of all its location : it is only a 10 min walk from the train station and a 2 minutes walk from the bus station Piazzale Roma. The hotel is situated along a narrow canal at "Tre Ponti". It is also only a 2 min walk to the "Vaporetto station" Piazzale Rome. The people at the front desk are really very friendly. You really feel welcome. (and this goes as well for the people who work at the front desk during the day as the gentleman who does the evening or night shift.) The room itself (A 1) was very clean and cosy. The bath room was alltough not very large of a seldom seen cleanliness. (very nice rain shower) The room (groundfloor) has a view on the inner garden. Breakfast is very good (even with Prosecco) with a large choice of cold and warm dishes. The two ladies who take care of the breakfast were also very kind. When I come again to Venice, I will not hesitate and book this hotel again. Thanks very much for making our stay in Venice very pleasant. So, I can really advise this hotel.

We were two families visiting and had a wonderful stay. Finding accommodations in Venice able to accommodate more than two people in a room was tough but we here we found rooms with multiple beds to accommodate our two families without requiring four separate rooms. Rooms were very small but made good use of the space available. We booked direct through the hotel and were able to add on breakfast for $1/pp. The breakfast buffet was beautiful and well appointed. A great value. Breakfast room and bar at the hotel were lovely as were the outdoor gardens. Staff was superb. Hotel was lovely and had a great location. The front desk staff was very accommodating. I am sorry that I do not remember anyone's name. We came with another family who stayed on the second floor. Our first night there the gentleman at the front desk gave us a dinner recommendation and made a reservation for us. That dinner was the best meal of our 12 day trip (including Venice, Florence, Parma) and the staff at the restaurant was really lovely and welcomed us by name when we entered. Additionally, our second night, the adults in our party attended a carnival event and the gentleman at the front desk was not only happily willing to take some photos of us before we left but even suggested he take a few outside so the canal would be in the background.

We were booked into sister property, Hotel Arlecchino, a couple of doors down (there was a sign up at the Arlecchino and it looked like the place was undergoing some renovations), but it was very easy to find the Olimpia for check in and there were no issues with our reservation. Appealing lobby, friendly and helpful service from all staff. Elevator available. Well-appointed rooms and a great location (relatively easy walking distance from the train station--with some stairs on a couple of bridges, so pack accordingly--and a great starting point for exploring the city). Breakfast was not included in our reservation, but offered at a reasonable rate and had plenty of good options for all tastes.

Excellent hotel within easy walking distance from Pizzale Roma . We had ski gear with us since we skied in Cortina. We only had to cross 1 bridge walking from the ATVO bus stop. Motel is well positioned for Water taxi (vaparetto) and Bus.

Choosing to stay in Venice and not Mestre or other surrounding areas was the first good decision. Choosing the Hotel Olimpia was the second. The hotel is just a short walk from the main square where you arrive. This, if you don't know, is a blessing in Venice. There are so many small streets and bridges to cross which can be really unpleasant if you have suitcases/trollies to drag around. The position of this hotel makes such a difference when you arrive and when you leave. The hotel itself is simply perfect. I had a wonderful welcome when I arrived (including a welcome drink), and was brought to what I would say is a larger than average room in Italy (I live in Milan and travel a lot) extremely clean, comfortable and in excellent condition. The decoration is typical of the area, which adds an extra flavour to the stay. I slept extremely well in a very comfortable bed and silent atmosphere. The breakfast room is surprisingly spacious and cute and welcoming at the same time and the food served was delicious. Just outside the hotel on the canal there are a number of tables where you can have an 'aperitivo' if you want, unfortunately it was too cold when I was there. I hope to come back to Venice again, and next time I hope to have my aperitivo outside by the canal. After a day walking around Venice, not having to leave by bus or train to go back to my hotel (as so many other tourists did) was such a relief. My advice, if you are going to Venice, stay in Venice itself and I would strongly suggest Hotel Olimpia. Thank you for your hospitality.

We stayed at the Hotel for our last day in italy. The Hotel extremely clean, stuff is lovely. Rooms are fresh and clean. The architecturally modern place. Close to the restaurants and also to river. I recomend for everyone. If i come back a specialy for holiday the Hotel will be my choice. Arrivederci!

My fiance and I really enjoyed our recent stay at the Hotel Olimpia. The staff were so friendly and helpful (even the night concierge, who was bright and cheery when we arrived at 2 am!) The rooms were lovely, comfortable, clean, and quite sizable for Europe. The 1 euro per person breakfast was great! There was so much choice. The location is a selling point. You can get to the hotel easily from the main bus station (and therefore it's easy to get to and from the airport) but at the same time, it was easy to walk to the main sites. We walked everywhere. We'd absolutely stay again if returning to Venice.

HUGE PROBLEM WITH THIS HOTEL This hotel has THIEVES working for it. Someone on their staff stole from our room while we were at breakfast. They did this knowing we would be checking out immediately afterwards and that we wouldn't realize that our belongings would be missing until after we had left. They stole a $1,300 laptop and 200 Euros from my wallet. We don't even have any recourse because the local laws requires the accusing party to be present at a police station in order to make a complaint.

We stayed here and was pleasantly surprised the hotel was good and in a perfect location, the staff couldn't do enough for you and very helpful Camila was amazing with her information on where to eat etc, the other receptionist was carlotta and she too was very helpful, the hotel was situated within a 5 minute walk of the mestre centre which was like a city with plenty of shops bars and restaurants you couldn't go wrong. Just round the corner from the hotel about a 3 minute walk was the tram stop which took you into the heart of venice passing over the canals which was an amazing sight. We bought a 2 day pass for the tram, bus, and boats, which was a good way to get around the cost was €30 each. Can't wait to return and would not hesitate to stay at the same hotel as it was convenient for everything.

This outstanding hotel in Venice is not much to look at from outside (right on a canal) but has a lovely courtyard inside and a FIRST CLASS breakfast. The room was fresh and recently refurbished with a convenient and comfortable permanent fold away bed

Absolutely brilliant hotel. Staff were incredibly helpful and the location was ideal. Upon arrival we were dropped off outside the hotel by our speed boat taxi from the airport. We were given complementary drinks and some useful information on the city as it was our first time in Venice. The room was lovely with a view out over the gardens to the rear of the hotel. It had everything you could possibly need and was very clean. We made use of the buffet breakfast on our final morning which was very reasonably priced with lots of choice would highly recommend. The hotel also offered a free trip to a glass blowing factory on Murano island which included a free one way speed boat taxi. We spent a morning there which was really interesting and made use of public transport to get back. Overall the hotel was perfect, would highly recommend a stay there and will definitely be returning next time I visit Venice.

We have just returned from our second visit to this Hotel. The service was great again, the hotel is ideally located not far from the coach / train stations so if you have a suitcase it's not far to walk, there is however a couple of bridges to cross over. Breakfast is good with plenty of choice and even prosseco should you want an early tipple! Rooms are well laid out with lovely decoration

Great hotel and the staff were really friendly. The location is great just beside the bus station and a little away from the crowded streets. The breakfast is really good. The hotel is really clean and the bedrooms are a good size. Would highly recommend it.

The hotel is at walking distance to main bus station and train station, hence superb location. The room and toilet are clean and tidy. We had a comfortable stay! Staff is friendly and helpful. Nothing negative to mention. Highly recommend to all!

First-time visit to Venice and we were very pleased with the property and staff. Clean, comfortable rooms and excellent canal view from our windows in room #206! About a 5 min walk from the train station, 20 min to St. Mark's Square, 5 min to the People Mover team that leads to the cruise port. Nearby vaporetto (water taxi) station makes it very convenient to buy tix and cruise the Grand Canal. Decent breakfast for €10.

Everything about this visit was first class; the people were focused on every detail from the moment I checked in. The breskfast set the standard for other hotels/cities, but none were able to rise to the occasion. Will be back next fall bring new travelers with me.

Once again my wife and I came to Venice for our wedding anniversary and as always stay at our favourite hotel “Olimpia”. We had our favourite room 143 at the bottom of the lovely garden , thank you Valentina. The staff here are all so friendly and helpful and on our anniversary we were greeted with a bottle of bubbly and card from the staff . Many thanks to everyone at the hotel and see you all next year. My wife and I spent 3 enjoyable nights here. Its facilities and service were excellent. We were fortunate to get the “penthouse” 2-room suite. Even though it required a flight of stairs above the elevator, we didn' t mind for the extra enjoyment gained. Breakfast was also excellent. For us, a big plus was the convenience to the train station and to Piazzale Roma.

I would recommend this hotel while visiting Venice. This hotel is a ideal location when staying in Venice.The staff are very welcoming and helpful.The hotel is warm,friendly and relaxing. I would definitely stay in this hotel on a return visit and totally enjoyed my stay here.

We arrived in Venice the evening of the 50 year record breaking floods, and found the staff at Hotel Olimpia extremely accommodating, so that despite the ordeal faced by many Venetians, we were able to enjoy our time in the city. The rooms are very comfortable and the location a Godsend, near the bus terminal (very useful during acqua Alta), railway station, from which we walked, and the water bus routes along the Grand Canal.

This was our third visit to this hotel and it is still fantastic. The staff are helpful and friendly (especially Robert). The decor is wonderfully Venetian. Breakfast good value and plenty of variety including Prosecco! We had a room in the annex across the garden. Spacious, comfortable and peaceful. A small point, it was boiling hot. We had the heating off but the towel rail in the bathroom wouldn't turn off so heated the whole room. Made a big mistake of having the window open on the first night and was swamped by mosquitos. Our anti mozzie machine wasn't working! It will not put us off staying there again and we will continue recommending it to our friends. We do hope the Olimpia has not been affected by the awful floods that we are seeing on the news.

I truely loved everything about The Olimpia hotel, it is in a perfect position for arriving by plane, train or on a cruise, literally minutes from all connections. It is also steps away from the vaporetto which take you everywhere in Venice. At the same time it is on an attractive part of the main island with lots to see already in the immediate area without necessarily going to San Marco. The hotel itself is very well furnished and immacuately clean and my classic double room was very spacious. The staff were very helpful and a complimentary drink and tour were included in the price. The garden and breakfast room were charming with a wide selection of good quality food. I would definately recommended this hotel and it is also very good value for money considering everything it offers.

We loved the locations of this hotel. It was close to the bus station and people mover to cruise ship. We liked the accommodations, breakfast and garden area.It was easy to walk to any area in Venice.

This hotel was beautiful and wonderful! We arrived super early along with many other cruisers and they stored our luggage and emailed me when our room was ready. They also put our luggage in our room for us. Our room was a 2 bedroom suite that was beautiful and had modern touches. The large buffet breakfast had many options and was delicious! They also arranged a ride to the airport. My only regret is that we only stayed one night! Great hotel at a great price!

This was our first stay in Venice. We chose the hotel for its location as we wanted something easily accessible with a lot of luggage. The walk from Piazzale Roma was very easy and manageable with luggage. The room was exceptionally clean. The front desk staff were exceptional - friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

Friendly helpful boutique hotel with character. Breakfast was a stand out and the ease of location to all the main attractions. Take advantage of the free boat taxi to Morino but be expected to buy something. We will return.

We had a great time here and it was very convenient to get around. There were good places to eat every evening. The breakfast was wonderful each morning and convenient to start each day. Close to the people mover, train station, parking, and car rentals.

Having been to Venice before and remembering the harrowing experience of getting to our hotel via public transport with a jet lag, I decided to stay at Olimpia for its accessibility. I'm so glad I did. The best thing about this hotel is it's proximity to the bus depots in Piazzale Roma and the train station in Sta Lucia. In fact, a RT transfer from Marco Polo Aiport to Piazzale Roma was 15 euros...oh, and they depart every 20 minutes! Renting a car was also a breeze from the Europcar counter in Piazzale Roma. Venice is not a big island. The hotel is not at the city center but the main sites are a short walk or a vaporetti ride away. Actually, I'm glad that we were not in the city center to avoid the crowds...we went off season and it was still so jam packed. St Mark's square is about 20 minutes on foot, but of course one must get lost deliberately and meander along the maze of streets to get the full experience. There are many good restaurants within a 0.1-0.2 mile radius from the hotel. The second best thing about this hotel is the breakfast spread. Wow! The choices are amazing and ranges from the usual savory eggs and bacon to a selection of delectable pastries. Breakfast was something we looked forward to every morning, so much so that we deliberately ate a light dinner the night before. We saved lots of money by eating a big breakfast, having a light snack for lunch, and eating an early dinner. The dining room is adjacent to a sidewalk overlooking a canal. We stayed in a room overlooking a cute garden (a sanctuary from the crowds) and also in a room with a canal view. Both were very good and were clean, tastefully decorated, and had comforable beds. The shower was small but that's standard for a European hotel. The front desk staff were sufficiently friendly. I will definitely stay here again if I make it back to Venice.

This classic hotel is one bridge from the train and water taxi! Staff is terrific, rooms/bathrooms have been recently updated and the restaurant next door is very good. Nice little lounge off the lobby and breakfast was first rate, although not included.

Stayed at Hotel Olimpia for three nights in October 2019. Hotel was located very close to the train station and watertaxi pickup. The room was located looking out on the backyard. Very quiet room. Comfortable bed. Wonderful staff at the desk, always ready to help. Arranged a car for pickup at the airport. Driver was on time. He even rolled our luggage to the hotel lobby. Which was about a 10 minute walk. Very nice of him to do that. Breakfast was nice. Usual European hotel breakfast. Cold cuts, fruit, juice, pastries, Prosecco, three hot choices, yogurt, cereal, coffee ect. . My only criticism is the size of the shower. It's was a tight fit for me. Doors when closed were not water tight. Created a puddle every time. A person of small stature should be fine in the shower. Shower worked fine it was just not roomy enough for a woman to shave her legs. Another note to add. Hotel provided hand soap, body/shampoo wash. No hair conditioner was provided by hotel. It's best if you buy travel size conditioner and bring it with you. Hotel Olimpia is located on the outskirts of Venice. Walkable to St. Marks Square and Dodges Palace. If you have mobility problems walking may be a challenge for you. To get to restaurants and the square you have to go over many bridges. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel. Lovely stay.

Hotel Olimpa deserves more than 5 stars! This is a small charming hotel that is in a great location to the train & bus station, the water buses, the cruise port, restaurants & shopping. The staff were extremely helpful whenever we had a question. Breakfast was very good. The rooms were very clean but, are smaller, compared to US hotel rooms but, who is there to stay in the room??? We had a room that looked out over the canal which we enjoyed. Make sure you go out back, they have a patio with a lovey lawn that you can enjoy if you just need some down time. Should we return to Venice we will defiantly stay at this lovely hotel again.

Stayed for 4 nights at this excellent hotel. We had a spacious room overlooking the canal. As previous reviews the location is excellent with easy access to public transport. As it is not too close to the tourist hot spots it is a peaceful retreat after a busy day sightseeing. Close to many good restaurants. Helpful and informative staff.

Beautiful well maintained Hotel. The staff was wonderful. It is in one of the best locations as it is close to the bus and train station Unlike many you see there dragging their luggage to god knows where, we were quickly rid of our luggage and off to see the town.

We chose this hotel after a cruise and needed good access for airport transportation for an early flight. The hotel was recently updated with gorgeous modern bathroom, super clean room with a nice view of canal. There is a bar/restaurant with optional canal side seating. Free spritzer or prosecco ticket on arrival. We left too early to check out the free breakfast, although they offered to make up a boxed breakfast to go. They sent up a chilled bottle of Prosecco for our Anniversary! Elevator went all the way to our 3rd floor room, not always the case in other hotels. Friendly and helpful desk staff and porter. Would absolutely return here!

I chose this hotel for its location - we were coming after a cruise and I wanted to get somewhere without too much walking. There is one bridge to cross from the Piazzale Roma, but our taxi driver helped with the luggage and it was therefore easy. We got there early but someone had checked out, so we had coffee and tea in the peaceful and beautiful back garden while waiting. Andrea, the person at the front desk, couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. He helped get us oriented on the map, suggested a good walk, and helped us get a taxi for the airport set up. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom looked recently redone with a rain shower, towel warmer, nice linens, bright lights... We booked with a "breakfast included" deal and the buffet was AWESOME - as nice as on the cruise ship. Many choices, hot and cold - beautiful pastries, nicely cooked eggs, fruits, salmon (my husband said was fantastic) etc. It was easy to walk and easy to get a water bus back there after our day of exploring. Overall, we were totally happy with our stay and will recommend this hotel to anyone we know who is heading to Venice.

Best located hotel in Venice, directly opposite the bus station , so accessible by taxi or buses for easy transfers to the port our airport. Also, close to the train station, and right on the canal within easy walking distance of all of the main attractions in Venice. The hotel itself is stylish and comfortable, providing a high level of quality service at a competitive price, with helpful, competent staff..

We really enjoyed our stay at the Olimpia, really good location, easy to get to from airport bus connection. The staff could not do enough for us, friendly and very helpful. All transport to all locations were very easy to follow which made getting to all the attractions a pleasure.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Olimpia. The staff was kind efficient, and friendly. Our room was larger than we expected, clean and well appointed. Breakfast was good and offered many choices. The location was a little bit of a walk to the main tourist sites, but was perfect when we had an early train to catch!

Great location to everything...gondola rides, restaurants and eateries, tours, shopping and the people mover. Loved our stay here. What makes this a "fabulous" stay are the the staff of the Hotel Olimpia. SO helpful! Extremely courteous, professional and friendly. Definitely recommend.

This hotel is conveniently located near the main transportation hub into, and out of Venice. The buses are about 100m away. The trains are a short walk. The water taxi's are in front. We were going on a cruise which made this hotel location ideal since the cruise port is near the 'People Mover' to the port or a short walk to the cruise ships. The staff was VERY friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and well kept. The breakfast had a nice variety and was fresh! The only item that I would ask is that they add some English speaking channels to the TV selection for when you are actually back in your room and not out there touring this amazing city.

A lovely hotel with a helpful & friendly staff, it's just off the beaten path enough to make it a little quieter, yet it's very convenient to the water taxis and buses. The breakfast was amazing, with outdoor and indoor seating. The rooms are a touch on the small side, but very clean and well-equipped with all necessities.

I stayed with a friend for 3 nights . The hotel is beautifully decorated in a traditional but modern style with the walls covered in gold brocade and modern bathrooms. We were very close to Piazzale Roma which is very convenient for travelling and getting around Venice. We got the express bus from the airport to Piazzale Roma and the hotel is minutes away on a small canal. Our room 406 overlooks the square but this was not a problem for us as we spent very little time in the room - and who goes to Venice to stay in their hotel room? But some rooms do overlook the beautiful gardens. The hotel is also near the train station and water bus stations and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. The buffet breakfast was good with plenty of choice. I would definitely stay here again.

We caught the Train from Rome to Venice the day before boarding an 8 day cruise. The Hotel was easy to find, we walked with our luggage from the S. Lucia train Station. I can see this as difficult for some, as there are some stairs to negotiate over the bridge. The staff were extremely friendly, from front desk staff the the cleaning staff. Our room is beautiful, the size is typical of Europe but it is newly renovated and modern (Venetian style). We had a canal view which was surprisingly not too loud at night. Breakfast was a nice buffet with good coffee!!! This was a wonderful place to stay, ideal if boarding a Cruise out of Venice.

This was our first stay at this hotel and we were very impressed with the service, our room and the amenities of the hotel. The location is excellent, close to the train station, Vaporetto boats or for arrival or departure by car. The rooms are well appointed and very comfortable. They have a beautiful garden and patio in the back of the hotel, a lovely little oasis for a break from a crowded busy city. The breakfast had a good variety of foods and everything was delicious. The staff and service was excellent, we greatly enjoyed our stay.

Hotel Olimpia was outstanding. We had been lugging our luggage all over the place, and it was great to get off the train and have a short distance to travel to get to the hotel. The breakfast was top notch. Loved the pastries in the morning. The staff helped with setting up dinner reservations and providing a water taxi to Murano. The outdoor garden was lovely to sit and enjoy a cocktail. They provided a complimentary beverage to our party of four upon arrival, but the prices for their spirits seemed a little excessive compared to a lot of others places we had enjoyed cocktails. For example, my husband ordered a double Buffalo Trace on the rocks and was charge 20 Euro. That seemed a little steep to me. I ordered a single of Ketel One and tonic and the single was 11 Euro while the tonic was 5 euro. Raised my eyebrows, I'll tell you what! There were other drinks in the bar that were more reasonable, like the Hugo, which my sister really enjoyed, that was 6 euros, I believe. Overall, however, the stay was lovely. The room was well appointed, the beds were cozy and the a/c cooled like there was no tomorrow! :)

This was my 7th time bringing a group to Hotel Olimpia and it is always everyone's favorite! I love being welcomed by Andrea. He is so friendly and cheerful! He always makes my groups (and me) feel happy about being there. The rooms are beautiful and always very clean. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. The garden is gorgeous!! I look forward to bringing my next group back in June!

Everything about our 4 night stay in this hotel was absolutely amazing. We chose this hotel because of its great location. It is easy to walk to The Vaporetto Boats 1 & 2. Although mostly we like to walk when in Venice. We arragned Airport Transfer through the hotel and it was just fantastic. They even reached out to me a few weeks before our trip asking for our flight details which I thought was amazing. Our driver Mr. Roberto helped us across the two bridges with our two large suitcases and was such a nice helpful person. Our room was lovely with a view to the canal outside - so clean as was the rest of the Hotel. The decoration & furnishings in the Hotel are just stunning beautiful Ventian Glass lights & chandeliers everywhere and all the wooden furnished matched it is just stunning. The garden was lovely too. Breakfast was excellent we enjoyed it everyday and had everything we needed. EVERY single Staff member we encountered was so nice, extremely professional, all the Staff members on the reception desk were so helpful. It is also great value for money. We seriously will never stay anywhere elese but this hotel ever again.

If you want a great place to stay when cruising in and out of Venice choose Hotel Olimipa. The price is reasonable, the breakfast is great and the location is unbeatable. We selected Hotel Olimpia primarily because of its location and the willingness of the hotel to store our luggage before heading to our cruise. The location is terrific, just steps (and one small bridge) from Piazzele Roma, the location where buses, People Mover, and vaporettos are located. After seeing so many people walking through the bumpy streets of Venice rolling their luggage and going up and down steps, we are so glad we selected this part of town to stay. In addition to location, the room was very nice, overlooking a canal. The bathroom must have been recently redone and was very clean, including a great rain shower head. Also, the hotel provides a very nice breakfast that was included in our package but can be purchased for about 10 Euros I believe. (I think we might have overpaid by having the breakfast and welcome drink included). The people at the front desk were very nice. But, the reason I am only giving it a 4 instead of 5 is because the person at the front desk was not well informed about two specific issues. First, we inquired about whether we should purchase the 24 hour vaporetto pass for 20 Euros just purchase one trip at a time (at a cost of $7.50). The desk clerk said we should just do the a la carte instead of the 24 hour pass. We are very glad we didn't listen. The 24 hour pass allowed us the freedom to get on an off at various stops which were quite distant from each other without having to worry about the excess cost. In addition, having the pass allowed us to take a trip over to Murano as well. Which brings me to my second point. We asked the clerk about going to Murano on a Saturday evening to see the glass shops and have dinner. Unfortunately, the clerk did not inform us that all the shops close at 6:00 p.m. I think the clerk at a tourist hotel such as Olimpia should be better informed about such an issue.

Just a few steps from bus terminal, with easy access to all major attractions. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. Only reason for four stars is that there was only elevator access to the first floor and we were on the second, up a long narrow flight of stairs. Room was pleasant and the a/c welcome on a very hot day. We overlooked a very quiet and pleasant garden area. Great for an overnight before boarding our cruise ship. We opted to walk to San Basilio pier, not fun with our luggage, but not a long distance from the hotel.

I stayed here 9 years ago on my first trip to venice and I fell in love not only with the hotel but with the staff then . On my return I was warmed to know that the hotel is not only convinient for his location right in front of the Piazza Roma but his charm and their amazing breakfast is better then ever !! We were treated so warmly every time!! absolutely loved the front desk folks that were always willing to assist , Andrea was our favorite !!!! but they were all so nice and professional !!! this has become our family ( Benford) official Venice Hotel !!! can't imagine staying anywhere else !! The room as absolutely stunning and the views to die for !!! very convienent to stores and resstaurants as well !

This hotel is located right next to the People Mover. This was very convenient as there wasn't much hassle getting there with luggage. It is also not far from Piazza San Marco (around a 30 minute walk). The location can't really get much better. The staff at this hotel were very nice and helpful. They understood English very well and even informed us about the bad weather for the next day. The room itself was decorated very nicely. It was a bit cramped and small but expected for Venice. Beds were comfortable but again, a bit small. Breakfast was nothing special, but still adequate. WiFi was fast. Overall, this is a good option when in Venice. Although it is pricey, it is still worth it because of the excellent location.

We stayed here before our cruise in late July of 2019. This hotel is an easy five-minute walk from the Piazzale Roma where the buses and ground transportation ends in Venice. The rest of the city is only accessed by water or walking. The rooms and breakfast are wonderful (Really enjoyed Prosecco with breakfast!). The true value of this hotel is the staff. Andrea speaks absolutely flawless, un-accented American English and Fabrizio and all the others were very helpful. They arranged a very informative and fun trip to Fornace Gino Mazzucato, a glass factory on. Murano (bring your wallet, the glass is fantastic) and were invaluable when the time came to leave them by arranging an inexpensive van to transfer our group and our bags to our cruise terminal. This saved us a long, sweaty bag-drag down narrow Venetian walkways and over several pedestrian bridges. The actual hotel is small, as expected, in this crowded Italian city, but the rooms, showers and amenities were very nice for a converted 16th century building. Highly recommended.

We stayed at this place for 3 nights. The overlooking rooms at the canals were perfect, excellent location for taking the local transport, friendly staff. The rooms were large and the in house amenities were excellent and the large spread of breakfast was really very good. Thank you for making our stay memorable.

Upon arrival our beautiful room overlooking the canal had 2 red heart shape balloons on the bed, chocolates and champagne. So special as it was our anniversary and my husband's 60th. The staff had made such extra effort and when we returned after our cruise they gave us the same gorgeous room and checked us in early. Breakfast was fantastic - even had Prosecca available! Stunning gardens out back. The location was so convenient for arrival at Piazza Roma (main transport hub) and for the cruise Terminal. We would definitely HIGHLY recommend Hotel Olimpia.

We stayed here for 3 nights as a family of four and it was great to find a room large enough for all of us, as many in European cities are not. The kids each had their own single bed which was a plus as well. The staff was all great, and so was the daily breakfast. We had it in the garden and canal and enjoyed both. We will book this hotel again without hesitation when we return.

We stayed for five nights in July. For us, the location was perfect because it was so close to the bus and train. It has got to be one of the easiest hotels in the city to find. Very clean, comfortable bed, very effective air conditioning, good bathroom. The breakfast buffet had an extremely large selection of very good food. We loved it.

Venice in August---first requirement: good air conditioning. YES 2nd: Convenient transportation: YES. The Olimpia is just a few steps from the bus station (our ATVO bus from the airport dropped us here), the Vaporetto docks, a water taxi, and gondolas. It's one Vaporetto stop from the train station, too. We loved using the waterways to get to San Marco, Murano, the Guggenheim, etc. 3rd: Great, reasonably priced breakfast: YES 4th: Proximity to the People Mover in order to get to our cruise ship: YES, across the bus station parking lot. The hotel is lovely, the rooms elaborately decorated but comfortable and up to date. Staff is easy going and happy to help. We don't like to stay in the bustle of tourist locations, so the Olimpia fit the bill perfectly. When we return to Venice--and we plan to, we will stay again at the Olimpia.

We booked a number of rooms for our extended family to stay in for a couple of nights before going on a cruise out of Venice. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The service was great and we loved the delicious cakes and other treats at the breakfast buffet.

First time in Venice and this hotel suited our needs perfectly. Easy location for water taxis, bus and train terminal....only quick walk over a bridge or two. We were on the second floor and had lovely view of the side canal and did not have any trouble with noise. The staff was friendly and helpful in suggestions and tips for Venice. We would definitely stay here again without any hesitation. We love smaller more personal places to stay so this was perfect. The breakfast in the morning was wonderful and so pleasant to have the option to sit by a canal or in the garden to enjoy it.

The Olimpia Hotel was in easy walking distance to the Venice train station. Porters are available to take your bags for a reasonable cost. Hotel accommodations were excellent! Hotel staff were outstanding! Breakfast buffet was excellent! Water taxis available for tours or you can walk. Highly recommend the Olimpia Hotel! Definitely a four star hotel!

We stayed here just for one night before our cruise. Location-wise the hotel is really great, just 5 minutes walking from Piazzale Roma from where the people-mover takes you to the cruise. Adequate hotel (3 star), with nicely decorated rooms. Friendly staff, fast wifi, and very clean. Breakfast can be better and the room is really small, but for just one night this was fine for us.

Centrally located with great views of the river from the room. Very friendly helpful staff. Good selection for breakfast. Small but clean fresh room with comfortable bed. New tiled bathroom. Close to all essential amenities. Good fast wifi connection. Receptionist able to communicate in English. Complimentary visit to glass blowing factory on Murano island. All in all very enjoyable 3days stay. Recommend to any body planning to visit venice.

Beautiful Hotel near Tronchetto and Station, but although it was easy for us to reach with the bikes (and the only one to get to with a bike) it was very quiet with Garden. Staff was very friendly and helpful with our bikes. Breakfast was extraordinary.

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights recently. The hotel is fabulous, cannot rate this hotel highly enough. On arriving at the Hotel the staff were superb and attentive. The room we had overlooked the canal, great for watching the world go by. The room and bathroom are lovely and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was continental but had everything you needed. We used the taxi service from the airport direct to the Hotel and the driver was excellent, even carrying our luggage over the one bridge. The Hotel is perfectly situated for any mode of transport you require, bus water bus, train. We caught the People mover over to the cruise terminal, at 1.5 euros each is a bargain. Venice is fabulous and I cannot wait to return, and there is only one hotel I would stay. Thank you Hotel Olympia you should be very proud

Great Hotel, great location, would stay again but include breakfast in booking. Where it is a family operated hotel they charge different people different prices for the breakfast. For example anywhere from one euro to €10. Everything about the hotel impressed me except this difference in pricing for the breakfast. Service was good and the hotel was very clean. If I were to go to Venice again I would stay here. I am 54 years old and enjoy the comforts of life. I did have an upscale room.

We stayed at Hotel Olimpia for three nights. The rooms were very clean, the front desk was very helpful during out stay, and breakfast each morning was phenomenal. It is located close to the train station and Piazzale Roma, where all of Venice is just a vaporreto away! The hotel also offered (for a fee) a car service to pick us up from the airport.

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Olimpia the last 2 nights and we were so impressed! The hotel is independently owned but affiliated with Best Western. This was not like any Best Western experience we have ever had. In fact, our dealings with Best Western did not do any justice to this hotel. When I booked, there were some concerns about the rate. Best Western had a standard response that simply quoted fine print. Hotel Olimpia stepped in and astounded us with their gracious handling of a misunderstanding. They went above and beyond! Andrea, Fabio and Valentina at the front desk were fantastic. We booked one night but added a second night (a definite suggestion for any Venice visit). Andrea handled everything smoothly. He got us a great rate, room, and breakfast. Our luggage was kept in the storage area between check in, and our passports were kept safely so we didn't have to worry about anything. The complimentary prosecco in our room was such a lovely touch. The rooms are beautiful, private, and overlook a small canal. AC worked great and the fridge in the room was very handy. We stayed one night in room 205. In has a lovely balcony overlooking the canal, a well appointed bathroom, and lounge area with a second TV (we never turned it on). The breakfast was very satisfying with many options (several vegan which was great!). We ate in the back garden which was lovely and peaceful, but there was an equally charming indoor breakfast room. We had a drink at the Hotel bar and were again impressed with the service and the appetizers (a cheese plate that the bartender wrapped for us since it was too big to finish). Every person we encountered has a smile and was very helpful. Just wonderful. On top of this, the location was perfect. We drove our rental and parked at Garage San Marco. Hotel Olimpia has a discount negotiated. We were terrified to drive to Venice, but it went so smoothly, and we had about a five minute walk to the hotel. Leaving was even better without having to trudge our luggage throughout Venice, over bridges when we were exhausted from a great adventure. Overall, best hotel experience we have had in years. We stayed at this hotel for the second time and were very satisfied again. It has prefect location near Piazzale Roma where ou can take vaporreto and get to any part of Venezia. Rooms are spacious, prefectly clean and beautifuly decorated. Perfect breakfast. The staff is helpful, friendly and polite.

My husband and I have been returning to Venice every year for the past 25 years (as it is our favourite place on earth) and we have been staying at the Olimpia for the last 13 of those years. The hotel is perfectly situated near Piazzale Roma where the buses terminate. It is also very close to the train station (Ferrovia) and water buses (vaporetti). The staff are brilliant, very friendly and efficient, and cater for your every need. Breakfasts are superb. There is everything from a cooked breakfast to continental. There is just one little thing missing and that is perhaps some gluten free bread or crackers. The rice cakes that are on offer are not so scrumptious!! The rooms are spotless and the air-conditioning is very efficient - so much so that we had to turn it off at times during the night as it was cold! The beds are exceptionally comfortable and spacious. We thoroughly enjoy returning to the hotel from a tiring day out, relaxing by the canal and enjoying a glass of proseco. It's perfect!! We hope to continue doing this for some years ahead. All being well we will see our friends at the Olimpia again next year. Grazie mille a tutti.

We stayed here for two nights before going on a cruise. I was very easy to take the bus from the airport to the Piazzale Roma. The hotel is just about a 5 minute walk away. The rooms are small for U.S. standards, but our room was lovely and the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. There are several restaurants and shops near the hotel. It was also fun walking from the hotel to the tourist areas. We got lost several times in the small alleys, but enjoyed the scenery and finding our way. Will definitely stay here again when we return to Venice.

This hotel is in a top spot for getting to from the train station. Having recently hurt my back I was so glad that I only had two bridges to deal with when getting to and from the station with a suitcase. Staff are really friendly and the hotel is very clean. They offer a free trip to Murano which is well worth a visit.

Staff were professional and helpful. My room was small, clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet had a nice selection.

This was a great place to stay in Venice, close to the bus station and the water bus. The staff at the front desk were fantastically helpful, friendly and the room very comfortable. The lovely breakfast is also very good value.

The Olimpia was quite reasonably priced -- for Venice -- so we were prepared to be underwhelmed. Instead, we were delighted with everything about this hotel. Our room was fairly snug but rather glamorous with furnishings in the old Venetian style, a comfortable bed, and a window looking out on the hotel's lovely garden. Other rooms would look out onto the canal on which the hotel is situated; garden rooms are quieter. Bathroom was spacious, modern, and very clean, with glass-walled shower and built-in hair dryer. This is a very busy hotel, popular with cruise passengers because of its proximity to the People Mover that goes to the cruise port, but front desk staff still found time to provide excellent friendly service. There is a small bar off the lobby, and we received the same excellent friendly service here as well. At the time of our stay, a delicious full buffet breakfast was available for the bargain price of 5 euros per person, and this could be eaten in the breakfast room or outside at tables in the garden. Tip for cruise passengers: there is a bridge between the hotel and the People Mover, so be prepared to carry your luggage up a few steps. The hotel is not huge, so be sure to book early.

Hotel Olimpia is beautiful. The location is perfect for arriving from a cruise and departing to the airport. The breakfast is the best hotel breakfast we have ever eaten. We had two rooms right next to each other for our family of five (two parents, two teens, and grandmother). The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked great.

We were leaving on a cruise and the Olympia is an ideal location for ship/train/airport transfers. That said, I would stay there every chance I got. It's grounds are lovely & quiet. The rooms are comfortable. The staff are polite and very good at their jobs. The breakfast is so good: food, service , ambiance etc etc. We're stayed there twice, in 2014 & 2015, both were wonderful.

My family stayed at the Hotel Olimpia June 11, 2019 to June 13, 2019 and loved it. We booked a classic quadruple room for our family of 4 and it was perfect. We had a room on the 4th floor and were happy to have two connecting rooms. The kids each had their own bed. This hotel was very close to the train station so we were easily able to walk there. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I can't say enough about the delicious breakfast buffet. It was a real treat to enjoy fresh juices, pastries, eggs, bacon, fruit, cereals, etc. You can eat inside, in the garden, or next to the canal. I also appreciated the welcome drinks. We will definitely stay here again!

I always want my hotel to be immaculate. Olimpia didn't disappoint. The hotel and gardens were beautiful. The staff recommended a terrific restaurant. Staff was very helpful arranging for transportation to airport for our early flight.

We were staying a few days in Venice and then leaving on a cruise and this was the perfect hotel to stay at. We actually took the train up from Rome and after leaving the train station it was about a quarter mile walk up and over 2 staircases and we were at the hotel. When we left the hotel to go the cruise ship it was just over one staircase and then over to the people mover which took about 5 minutes. So the location for us was perfect as we didn't have to drag our luggage all throughout Venice. The hotel itself was really nice. We had a Family Suite that accommodated my wife and I in one room and 2 children in a separate room. It was plenty big for all of us and our luggage. The bathroom was nice and spacious as well. The hotel employees were all really nice and greeted us as we came and went throughout the day. We actually forgot something in the hotel room when we left for the cruise and they held on to it for a week and I was able to go back and retrieve it after getting off the cruise a week later. Such great service. For as close as it is to the train station and people mover that also means its far away from St. Mark's Square and Rialto Bridge. It will probably take you 30 minutes to wind your way through the streets of Venice to either location if you walk it. There is a ferry station and water taxi station 5 minutes away by the train station if you don't want to walk. The hotel gave us a map of Venice that is supposed to outline how to walk to St. Mark's square but if i were you I'd forget the map and use your phone. There is a high probability you'll get lost using just the map. Anyway, nice hotel, great stay, would definitely recommend, especially to cruisers.

My husband and I decided to take a trip to Italy and one of our stops was 3 days in Venice. We chose Hotel Olimpia and we are glad we did! The hotel was so close to the train station and while we packed lightly, we still had to have a backpack and a carry-on, filled to the brim, suitcase each. So, up and down stairs, going over bridges, it was nice to know we did not have to go far. We were also close to the water bus and the hotel concierge was great in getting us a private boat tour that picked us up right outside the hotel. The room was clean and anytime we needed something, the staff was there to help! We would stay there again!

Great hotel , very clean nice garden ,Great breakfest close to train station and all else, but not to busy. Had a little bar , and restaurant in hotel or you could sit outside next to the canal and have a drink very nice would stay there again .

What a gem. The staff was super friendly and room was very clean. Every time we approched the reception desk they remembered who we were and they were very helpful with recommendations and directions. Great breakfast with choices to sit in the garden, by the canal or in the a/c. After a day of walking for miles we retreated to a nicely decorated room and a/c in the room worked very well. We used their airport transfer and the gentelman that took us was super freindly and helpful as well. And on top of it all, this hotel is a very short walk from the people mover that transfers you from the cruise port. We will stay here again when we come the next time.

We were delighted with this hotel. The location was perfect for us - right near the train station and bus station so we needed no extra help getting luggage to the hotel. Even though it was located here, it was still quiet and elegant, with an amazing garden. Great room, perfect breakfast offerings, friendly staff. I usually stay in different places when I travel but I will not pass this place up if I ever return to Venice.

We were early arrivals from the U.S. and our room wasn't ready but the front office attendant kept our bags, made us feel welcome and offered us lovely cappuccinos. We had booked an extra night by mistake and had a non-refundable fare but to compensate, they upgraded us to a large room and had a bottle of Prosecco waiting for us. Lovely staff, clean and spacious rooms, very convenient location. We will definitely book here again if we come back to Venezia.

My husband and I stayed at the Olimpia for two days before a cruise. The location was so convenient, and the staff always ready with a smile and greeting. We were missing a suitcase on our arrival to the airport, and each time we walked through the lobby the front desk staff would offer to check the status for us online without our having to ask. So helpful! Very nice breakfast, comfortable room, nice outdoor space behind the hotel. Highly recommend.

Location - conveniently close to people mover. Only 1 bridge if you have lots of luggage. Close to water taxis and hop on hop off water bus. Beautiful entrance, friendly and helpful staff, lovely garden, very nice room and right next to canal to have a coffee or drink.

This was a great place, great breakfast and excellent staff! Flew into Venice and took a train to Rome so we wanted to be by the train station. Booked based on reviews and was not disappointed! Highly recommend even if your not taking the train!

This hotel is conveniently located close to the Venice train station and the cruise port, as well as close to many great restaurants. Hotel staff are super friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. It offers a free water taxi to the Murano glass factory as well as a tour. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included in the package and it was delicious. Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent location to get to from airport shuttle and train station, also very close to cruise port. Only one bridge to take your luggage over from the airport shuttle stop which is really important to consider in Venice. Very close to the Grand Canal and water transportation. But walkable to Piazza San Marco, with lots of interesting sites and shopping along the way. The hotel provides a great map. The hotel itself is lovely, clean and quiet. The staff are great - friendly and helpful. Rooms are a decent size, bathrooms modern, and decor is nice. No moldy odor - bonus! Lovely garden area in back. Only here for one night recently. Thought it would be handy as we weren't arriving till late evening and it was so handy for Piazzale Roma. Great room and amazing breakfast in a beautiful garden setting. Set beside one of Venice's many canals it was a pleasure to stay here

We stayed here 3 nights after our cruise and we were totally pleased!!! The hotel is beautiful, the staff is so helpful and pleasant! The breakfast is very good with a wide variety! The location was great. We took the people mover from the cruise ship and walked the short distance. Short walk to get to the Vaporetto stops and train and bus station! Plenty of nice restaurants nearby! Highly recommend this hotel.

We have just returned from a wonderful 3 night stay at Hotel Olimpia Venice. It's location is perfect for visiting Venice as it is situated closely to the bus station, train station and also the water bus station. The staff are excellent and always happy to help and advise. We found Venice easy to walk round as there are signs to help you reach St Marks Square and also to get back to the bus station which we used as a landmark when returning to the hotel. Breakfast was great, good variety of food to choose from. It's also situated right by the canal which provides a lovely setting for sitting outside enjoying a refreshing drink. Would definitely recommend!

We enjoyed our stay at HOTEL OLIMPIA Venice. The staff were friendly and very helpful, providing information about various attractions in Venice. The room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was the best we had during our two weeks in Italy, and they provided fun little amenities like having treats right next to the counter as you check in. And, it is easy to walk from parking to the hotel, great location!

We had an amazing stay at hotel Olimpia last week. We spent two nights there, were warmly greeted on arrival. The room was charming, sparkling clean. The bed extra comfortable, the bathroom very modern. The patio for breakfast on sunny days was outstanding. The buffet had every option available. Our room was very quiet. After our Mediterranean cruise, we stayed 3 extra nights in Venice at the Olympia Hotel. We loved this hotel. It was very clean, had an enjoyable breakfast every morning and the front desk did an awesome job. They were friendly, very informative about transportation, etc. and certainly efficient. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Arriving in Venice, 24 hours before our cruise departed, we wanted a hotel near the cruise ship terminal, and Hotel Olimpia more than met our expectations. It was a very easy short walk from the bus station that dropped us off from the airport. Only one bridge to cross, with no problem. Our room was comfortable, clean and quiet. The staff spoke excellent English and was helpful with our orientation to the city. Very easy to walk to many of Venice's historical sites or to catch a water taxi. Breakfast was outstanding, as there were many selections of hot and cold food and a comfortable place to eat. Although it was too cool to sit outside, the hotel had a beautiful courtyard that would be nice to relax and enjoy a few quiet moments, or a cup of coffee. Considering its location, its value and its excellent staff, I would hightly recommend this hotel if you visit Venice

Venice was the second stop on a 10 day/3 city tour (Rome/Venice/Paris) to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Researched the hotels months in advance and chose Hotel Olimpia based on the positive reviews on TripAdvisor. Very happy with our choice. Got the train from Rome to Venice so just a 10 minute walk from the station - even closer to the bus terminal (about 2 minutes) when needed to check out and get bus to airport! 5 minute walk to the water bus stops. Water to the front and a lovely little garden to the rear - all in all a superb location. Hotel had been very good ahead of our arrival replying to emails, providing suggestions for restaurants etc and when we got there the staff were brilliant. Andrea, Daniel, Luca (I think) all made the check in very smooth. The hotel knew about our anniversary and made the effort to decorate the room with flowers, chocolates, balloons and even a bottle of Prosecco. Thank you! The room was spacious with a nice bathroom and a view of the back garden with shutters as well as curtains and blinds to ensure minimal light! Only negative was the shower seemed to take a while to warm up! Decent breakfast and a cosy bar area provided everything we needed. If ever come back to Venice then this will be the first place I consider.

If you are a cruiser this is a good location if you don't want to haul your bags around Venice or if there is not a water stop close to your hotel. You can see the hotel from the Plaza Roma. It is an easy walk to the train station and it is an easy walk to the People Mover to get to the ship. While you are not in the St. Marks vicinity it is an easy vaparetti ride to the main part of town. And it can be walked in a relatively short amount of time. We booked directly with the hotel which ended up being the best rate we could find and also thought it was a good price considering we were in Venice. Also, you cannot beat the 1 Euro per person price for the breakfast. We thought the hotel was nice, and again, for Venice it was a nice size room. We had no complaints about the room or the amentities. We would stay here again if we return to Venice. It was worth being away from the main "tourist area" to have some peace and quite and to eat in some restaurants where the locals go. We thank the staff of Hotel Olympia for taking good care of us.

The hotel is just over one bridge from bus stop from airport and is very local to all amenties. The breakfast is lovely with a wide choice and a glass of presecco if wanted. Our room was gorgeous, clean and very quaint, in keeping with hotel decor. However the staff is what made our stay memorable. The hotel receptionists always greeted us with a smile, especially Martha, who explained and booked all our requests, we also took a great liking to Daniel the bar person. Very friendly and making us feel at home. Well done Hotel Olimpia we will make sure we tell all our friends.

Its location and amenities make this a very great place to stay. Venice isn't cheap - know that going in and you'll soon look for the cream of the crop. This is one of those places. The breakfast is especially great.

Being first timers in Venice, we wanted a room that overlooks a canal but being on the Grand Canal means costing an arm and a leg plus it is very noisy on the Grand Canal area. We were also also nearing the final leg of our trip in Italy and had huge and heavy luggage so we opted for a hotel near the train station with a smaller canal view. All the staff were friendly and helpful and recommended restaurants. The room was the best we had in Italy and despite the fact that it also overlook the bus terminal, the canal view was really pleasant and calming to look at. The breakfast was grand and had so much choices that we were sad we could not have it on our last day as we had an early train to catch. The hotel staff packed us a bag full of bread, fruits, biscuit and beverages to go so we could have breakfast on the train. The only hassle was the 5 minutes walk (with two bridge to cross) from station turned into 15 minutes due to my overwhelmingly heavy luggage. Take a water taxi if you don't mind spending extra, but it was winter so we didn't really mind. Would definitely return to stay if i ever visit Venice again.

We selected the Hotel Olimpia because of its close proximity to the cruise terminal. We were arriving via cruise ship and didn't want to go too far with our luggage. This hotel was a great choice in that regard, but wound up being even better for several other reasons. First, the hotel management is fantastic. They speak excellent English, and go out of their way to make sure you feel comfortable and have the advice you need to get around. Next, the morning breakfast was wonderful and lasted a long time in the morning. The location was close to the water bus service, so getting around Venice itself was pretty easy from this location. I really can't say enough about this hotel. This is definitely where we will stay the next time we come to Venice.

From arrival to departure the staff at Hotel Olimpia couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful. We stayed for three nights and our clean and smart room had a great view of the canal. The hotel is well placed for exploring the relatively quieter parts of Venice and for walking too Rialto and St Marks. In the evenings we went to restaurants and bars in Campo Santa Margherita and Campo San Barnaba. There's also a nearby Vaperatto stop for when you want to get about by boat. The hotel's small bar was fun and we had great Negronis there. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Myself and 2 friends stayed at the Hotel OLIMPIA 4/4-7/4/19 in a quadruple room and we absolutely loved our stay here. The hotel is situated in a very convenient location close to the Bus Station and at the junction of 2 pretty canals with shops, bars and restaurants all around. We arrived by water taxi and it was just a short walk over one Bridge to get to the hotel. Absolutely cannot fault this hotel, all the staff were very friendly and attentive, the porter was a lovely guy who helped us with our luggage & made us delicious “Hugo” cocktails in the bar at the end of a long sightseeing day. The breakfast choice catered for all nationalities and you can choose to eat or have a drink in the pretty hotel garden. It's about 30 mins walk to St Mark's Square which was an advantage as we got to see so much of Venice that we wouldn't have seen had we stayed closer. I would recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of visiting Venice. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

It was our second stay here, and the team were really excellent. We arrived about 11am but they still found a room for us. Porter was very good, helped us find fresh milk and show us around. Breakfast was tasty, room was clean, with a view of the canal. A good base for a long day wandering around Venice, and only 5 minutes walk from the station (over two bridges). Can't really fault it. A free drink in the evening was a nice touch too.

We visited 3 cities in Italy. Hotel Olimpia in Venice was the best experience we had with a hotel. They treated us wonderfully and even recognized it was our honeymoon. The location is great. They're close to all transportation needs. At night, it was very quiet and peaceful. Lastly, the breakfast area was very beautiful and well stocked with different options.

This hotel is one of the most beautiful boutique hotels I have stayed in, so close to all transport from the airport! The room was stunning with vencian art as well as being ready early and having a complimentary bottle of Prosecco for my birthday which was a treat! The hotel is surrounded by Italian restaurants and cafes which have great food at good prices, the staff give good recommendations aswell! There is also a beautiful bar inside looking into the canal. I would recommend to anybody wanting to stay in Venice! X

For arrival/departure/exploring Venice the hotel is perfectly located close to the Piazzale Roma. The disadvantage is, that you may see cars and busses from your room window which is rather unusual in Venice. If this fact does not bother you, hotel Olimpia is a perfect place for your stay. All staff member were extraordinary friendly and helpful, the room was spacious for Venice standards and the breakfast buffet one of the best I ever had in Italy.

Our first visit to Venice and we could not have picked a better hotel , location great , 100 yards from local bus station with only a 20 minute journey time to the airport. A five minute walk to the local water bus station and 20 minutes walk to all the main tourist areas in Venice. Staff very friendly and accommodating , breakfast buffet was delicious , rooms are comfortable and full of Italian charm. The surrounding area has plenty of great places to eat or have a relaxing drink.Hope we are lucky enough to return .

This hotel has a great location, very near to the local bus station and walkable to the local water bus station. All the hotel staff were friendly and professional. The hotel room was comfortable, although it was a little too warm with the underfloor heating. However the air cond helped with this! The breakfast buffet was delicious. Their apple slice cake was really good. All in all, I enjoyed my stay at this hotel.

This is simply a marvellous hotel. Faultless in every way. Staff friendly and accommodating. Old world Italian charm and decor, fluffy towels, comfortable beds and silent for a great sleep. Breakfast has all you could wish for, looking on to the charming inner garden. The location is perfect for travel to and from the airport too. We will be back

Olimpia is a lovely boutique hotel overlooking a small canal just a few minutes walk from The Grand Canal. It is a 10 minute walk from St Lucia train station & that was with our luggage in tow. We stayed only 1 night here. We booked a superior room & it was worth every penny. The lounge end looked over the canal & the bathroom end looked over the beautiful garden. The decor was typically venetian. The bed was comfortable. The room cooling did t work well. The service from the staff was second to none. There is a nice bar there & they do a good breakfast. They don't do dinner, but with so many restaurants close by, it really wasn't an issue for us. The staff can organise almost anything for you. If we go back to Venice I would definitely stay there again.

This hotel, and its staff, exceeded our expectations. We arranged a pickup from the airport and Roberto was most helpful and friendly. Upon our arrival, we were upgraded to a bigger room, and as we were celebrating a wedding anniversary, the bed had chocolates and balloons on it. Both Alessandro and Andrea at the front desk were more than helpful, with great recommendations for dinner (try Al Bacco Felice for a great meal). The room was spacious and comfortable. The location is excellent, with close access to the train station and vaporetto (ferry). Overall, this was a wonderful venetian experience for us, with the Hotel Olimpia the big cherry on the cake. The hotel is not especially impressive from the outside but is a perfect gem. Our room was lovely, the staff was very attentive and friendly and the breakfast was an unexpected delight. A bonus was the lovely garden in back. The location is wonderful, close to the people mover, the vaparetto, good shopping and many good restaurants and bars. It exceeded our expectation.

This hotel is a gem. The location is 5 minutes from train, bus or water bus/taxi stop. The staff is willing to help with everything from tours to translating. The room is European size but well thought out for saving space and guest comfort. The bed was one of the best I've slept on in a hotel, with excellent pillows to match. On a canal it's different seeing gondolas moored out from rather than cars. Quiet, friendly and a great breakfast buffet to start the day. Stay here, you won't be disappointed. I would return if in the area again

Found this hotel on booking.com but booked direct as got a better deal so easy to find as 200m from Airport Bus stop. Staff all friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast great. Room was very well decorated in Venetian style. Well place for water transport links.

We were in Venice for Carnavale weekend in March and wanted a location close to Piazzale Roma as well as the Santa Lucia Railway Station. Hotel Olympia fit the bill, not only fulfilling my wants but exceeding my expectations! The rooms, beautiful breakfast area ( with a superb selection) and lovely quiet garden were all pleasant surprises. The staff was accommodating and helpful arranging for our luggage to easily be transported to the railway station upon our departure. We could easily walk to many areas as well as use the vaporetta from/to Piazzale Roma when we wanted a Grand Canal view. We would definitely stay at Hotel Olimpia again and recommend it highly.

We stayed at this hotel for my partners 30th birthday! The staff were extremely friendly, spoke English and helped us get to places! They put balloons and chocolates in the room for my partners birthday and we were greeted with a free drink voucher. The breakfast was delicious and a must when you stay! We had Buck's Fizz every morning! It is by the water bus stop and also trains, and car taxis if you need to get to the airport. It was easy to get everywhere. I would definitely recommend staying here! Thanks so much!

Very happy with stay at this hotel. Nice welcome from front desk on check in and they were helpful on immediately booking us a private motorboat tour of the canals. The room was immaculate. I'm not crazy about the classical style of most hotels in Venice and prefer more modern design, however the way The Olimpia detail the space and present the room is really good and even nicer than comes over in the hotel photos. Great mattress, nice bedding and peaceful sleep. It's a perfect place to stay if you are traveling by rail as pretty close to the main terminal. Good starting point for walks in different directions around town and close to good places to eat. Breakfast good. Overall experience, excellent.

We visited Venice in March 2019 and stayed at Hotel Olimpia, the perfect location for those are coming from Treviso Airport, very close to Piazzale Roma. The hotel room was small but cozy and very clean, the breakfast was delicious and people from reception very nice. Hotel Olimpia is placed in a quiet area of Venice, at 20 minutes walk from crowded San Marco. We felt spoiled at Hotel Olimpia.

Saturday, March 10th I arrived in Venice with my family this morning. It was sunny but extremely hot. I am more than delighted to tell you what I did and felt. In the morning, we first checked in the HOTEL OLIMPIA. There was a beautiful garden there and the environment there was also perfect! For breakfast, we had something very delicious——the honey pancakes there.It tasted not only sweet, but also soft. We sat near the river and I felt really comfortable. To tell you the truth, Venice is a terrific place to drink some bland juice and appreciate the pretty views here because of its elegant sentiment. After breakfast, we paid for a gondola to visit this historical city. The water was blue and clear, the boat went stably. It is something really enjoyable. The buildings there were painted with colorful patterns, so the sight here was so appealing that I felt like I was traveling in a world in fairy tales! Because of that, we kept something very special——photos of those incredible artworks. After dinner, we walked along the river. During the walk, I not only felt relaxed and pleased, but also wonder what the life was like here in the past. Really, Venice is a must if I will go to Italy again. It is now among my 3 tops choices for traveling. I love this place, not only from its beauty, but also it can relax my heart and enrich my life's experience! *Tips: the wifi there was very good, and the service of a receptionist is very good, they can speak English very well, so you do not need to worry about the conversation between you.

Trip adviser reviewers advised getting a hotel close to the bus terminus so as not to lug bags for miles along narrow streets and over bridged that have only steps. Well this hotel fits the bill perfectly you could see it from the bus terminus and there was only one bridge to cross. Lovely room helpful staff first rate breakfast massive choice for only 5 euros each. Minor disadvantage it was a half hour walk to St Marks Square but a lovely walk over numerous canals and passing shops and restaurants on the way. Nice firm bed too.

I visited Venice in November 2018 and stayed in Hotel Olimpia. I'd booked it because it got reviews but the prices were low, and that's exactly right - it's great value. The location is very good, it's close to the bus station (where you can get a bus to/from the airport) and easy walking distance from the train station, as well as walkable to all the main attractions of Venice. Guests are offered a free welcome drink in the little bar, which is great - I went back there a few times. The room was small but very comfortable and offered everything I needed. My only criticism was the wifi service from the room is terrible - really really slow internet. I had the breakfast and it offered a very good range and was good quality, however it wasn't made clear to me that it wasn't included, there's an extra charge - although when I complained about this, they were willing to knock off that charge, which was great. The customer service at this hotel was definitely excellent, the concierge were always happy to help and advise and make bookings for you. Overall, a great hotel and terrific value in an otherwise quite expensive city.

The hotel exceeded all expectations. Check in was very easy, even though we arrived before the stated arrival time. All staff were friendly and helpful. We couldn't fault the room it was a good size and very clean and comfortable which looked over the hotels gardens. Each morning we enjoyed the hotels breakfast which is great value for the variety of food on offer. The hotels location is great for the water buses which take you directly to the main tourist areas and the airport bus €8s for a single. Me and my sister had a lovely trip and I look forward to staying here in the future.

We stayed in venice for 3 nights , the location is excellent as it is 10 minutes from the train station and 1 from the bus station . The room is very luxurious and the bed is very comfortable and everything you need is provided there . The breakfast is amazing with great high quality local products . Also the the staff in the reception are very professional and very helpful . A man named Andrea has been very nice to us and he recommended us some great restaurants . Overall we really recommend this hotel , we will definetely stay here again if we have the chance to visit Venice Thank you very much !

Stayed at the hotel for 1 night only but will certainly stay here again when I return. The hotel is 10 minute walk to train station and 3 minute walk to bus station so ideally located for travelling in and out of Venice. The hotel and room had a modern venitian style with a comfortable bed and large bathroom. The breakfast was only €5 and had so much choice smoked salmon and prosecco as one of the many options. Finally the staff were so friendly and helpful and offered us a complimentary drink on arrival and a bottle of water when we left

So glad we booked here - a real gem - I cancelled a booking elsewhere as we wanted to be closer to the airport, i.e. I didn't want to worry about travelling the length of the Grand Canal (40 mins) to catch an early morning flight. This hotel is perfectly situated - OK, you're not amongst the throng but everywhere is walkable with the advantage of being a stones throw from the bus and taxi terminus as well as the water bus stop (Piazzale Roma). Reception, porter and breakfast staff were great - you just felt welcome and comfortable from the outset. Well kept, traditional hotel with a nice touch of modern throughout - you get the sense the staff here genuinely take pride in this place. Didn't use the bar so can't comment. Breakfast great - well stocked. Room and bathroom spotless. Back to location - agree with others - I'd say 30 mins to St Marks - but a great 30 mins. 10 mins over the Gran Canal at the train station (which is impressive too) to Strada Nova for a wide selection of shops and restaurants for a nice wander in the evening. I imagine a Spring/Summer break at this hotel would be a good move - it has a lovely canal-side frontage where you can eat/drink with the added bonus of well-kept and landscape gardens at the rear, again, where you can eat/drink or chill on a lounger. Loved the Olimpia - you can't go wrong.

Excellent customer service, great location, and beautiful hotel. What more can you ask for? This hotel is located about a 25-30 min walk to the St. Mark's Square area but is very close to the train station AND the bus station. This was very important to us as we only had 24 hour in Venice and did not want to waste time with water taxi with our luggages. We arrived to Venice airport and took the bus to Venice. It was a quick and easy ride and once you arrive to the bus station you can literally see the hotel across the canal. We only had to cross 2 small bridges which was not an issue with our luggages. We were early for check in so they happily stored our luggages for us. We were told our room should be ready by 2pm but after having lunch we came back at 1pm to try our luck. lol and behold, our room was ready! The bellhop helped us with our luggages the entire time. We were also given 2 complimentary welcome drinks vouchers for the bar and a map of Venice. Service here is impeccable. The room itself is extremely spacious and clean. We had a nice view of the garden and couldn't be more pleased with our entire experience. On the day of departure we walked to the train station which took no longer than 10 minutes. There is 1 big bridge to cross however there are porters stationed at the bridge who you can pay to help with your luggages. As we had 2 check ins and 2 carry ons we used this service. The location of this hotel is everything. There are many restaurants nearby along with a convenient store. We spent our time walking everywhere on this island. As mentioned above the main square is about a 25 minute walk away but it didn't feel long at all as Venice is all about walking and exploring the different unique areas. I definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and great stay.

My wife and I spent 5 nights at the Hotel Olimpia on a trip to Venice to celebrate my 75th birthday. They gave us a room upgrade to one with a canal view, a bottle of bubbly, and balloons with chocolates in the room, in addition to the welcome drink. The breakfast buffet, especially the cold fish, meat and cheese, was good quality and plentiful. All the staff were friendly and helpful, the room comfortable and the position of the hotel is just right, much better than on our 3 previous visits to Venice. Trains, water bus and bus from the airport are all within easy walking distance and it is a great spot to start exploring, on foot, the interesting streets leading to the tourist spots. We bought a 3 day vaporetto ticket and travelled most routes from the Piazzale Roma. We especially liked our day to Burano and Torcello. We spent another day in Bassano del Grappa, an easy train trip from the nearby railway station and recommended as a change from Venice. We would both highly recommend this hotel and hope to return for a future special trip.

The location is perfect.By a quiet canal just by Pizzale Roma bus and the main train terminal. Luxury rooms even though it was the cheapest. £150 for 2 nights for a couple including an excellent breakfast

Welcome to the front desk staff and the Welcome Drink. The room was antique and lovely, and the location was close to the station and good. The breakfast was good and if I go to Venice, I really want to visit the hotel again!

This hotel is very handy if you are arriving in Venice by train, as it is a short 10 minute walk from the station (if you have lots of luggage consider using the water taxi instead of walking as there are a number of bridges to cross). The staff are friendly and helpful, giving great tips for dinning locations. The garden at the back of the hotel is a lovely bonus in a city were there is little greenery. The breakfast is totally worth it, but the breakfast room can be very crowded at peak times, so arrive early or late to avoid the rush, as it is a small area (but you can sit outside on the garden terrace if the weather is good). My favourite treat at the hotel was the large jar of complementary lollies in the entry foyer, grab a few as you head in or out! The rooms are very comfortable and classically decorated. Our room had a lovely view of the little canal, but you need to keep the windows shut at night time because of the mosquitoes (they are everywhere in Venice at night time). I would recommend this hotel and would stay again.

Unlike the service at vendors in the rest of Venice, this hotel exceeded all our expectations! Excellent customer service, fantastic breakfast, close to bus/train, and classy clean rooms. I'll be back.

This hotel is perfectly situated if you want to avoid dragging suitcases around as it's so close to the main transport hub. The hotel is really nice with unique feel to it. The room was very nice and very clean. The breakfast was truly wonderful with plenty to choose from, and the breakfast room is beautiful indeed. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We would stay here again for sure!

My wife and I have just spent 3 nights at the Hotel Olympia. After travelling to Venice and arriving at Piazzale Roma it was great to know that the hotel was only a couple of minutes walk away. This avoids having to locate a hotel through the maze of streets or canals after a days travelling. As mentioned, the hotel is situated close to Piazzale Roma for bus services, but also the close to the Grand Canal for the vaporetto passenger ferries, and only about 10 minutes away from the railway station. A good way to see the Grand Canal is vaporetto line 1 which takes you to Piazza San Marco. The hotel is very well appointed and the room we had was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice ranging from fresh fruit, yoghurts, bread, croissants, scrambled eggs, bacon, saugsage, through to a selections of coffees and cakes. Enough to set you up for a days sightseeing in Venice. All the staff we encountered were professional and very helpful. This hotel is ideal spot for anyone travelling to Venice. We look forward to returning at some point in the future.

The staff was amazingly friendly and kind. The rooms are clean and fancy. Hotel Olimpia was a great choice, It's in a great location, very clean and well appointed. the front desk was helpful, and breakfast was wonderful. we will definitely stay there again. Hotel Olimpia is only minutes from the train station, shopping, food and the vaporettos. The hotel was quiet and the bed was comfortable ( we found not to many beds are in Italy, I don't know why) if we called for help someone was there in just a few minutes. we had a great time in Venezia ( Venice)

This place was a gem. Superbly located only minutes from the station, pristinely appointed and beautifully run. The rooms are spotless and in pristine, renovated condition in the Venetian tradition but modern appointments. Crisp white linen, porcelain bathrooms, quality fittings. There is nothing out of place in the room or public areas. The breakfast room was lovely with good selections of fresh fruit, beautiful pastries and lemon cake, eggs, bacon, juices and more. The staff are very attentive. Marco and Andrea at Reception pay guests every courtesy and attention and Norman, the Concierge and Barman in the low season, was very professional and kind and an asset to their business. The hotel is minutes from the train station and the walk into the centre every day kept us active and allowed us to discover all the local and less touristy areas. We wouldn't bother looking for anywhere else next time we are here. Thank you Hotel Olimpia - you made our family stay very special.

The hotel was spotless. There was a powerful shower in the rooms. We loved the Venitian decor. Staff were friendly and efficient. We loved the welcome drink upon arrival. The hotel was in the perfect location to explore Venice. It was also convenient for public transport. Breakfast was good with plenty of fresh fruit available.

Handy to the station, and there were nice restaurants round about at non-silly prices, about about 30mins or so walk to the major attractions around St Marks Square. The location was excellent for a weekend away. Room was nicer than I expected for the price, and had all the amenities (including solid wifi); the only minor hiccup was the hot water temperature being a bit variable during a shower. The 5 Euro breakfast was a delicious spread and set us up well for a hard day of being tourists.

I had originally booked their sister hotel but on arrival was switched here because it was under renovation. We were not disappointed. Beautiful, clean rooms, a wonderful buffet breakfast and an amazing staff with great English skills. Near the train station and the port, it is an easy walk to San Marcos or a short water taxi ride.

My wife and I have just stayed for 3 nights here and found ourselves a wonderful hotel that we recommend. We booked early to ensure our reservation following some excellent reviews on trip advisor, on arrival the check in was swift and in no time the porter had our bags in our room, the room was spacious very modern decor and a very nice mattress, a lovely bathroom with lots of shampoo and other items, the room is centrally heated. The breakfast buffet was the best we've seen during our 5 week tour of Italy, lots of choices and scrambled egg and bacon. There's a cosy bar near reception. The staff Found all of the staff exceptional and courteous, sir madam was nice. Front desk recommended a nearby restaurant and advise on tours. Would highly recommend this hotel.

A group of us stayed for a couple of nights in Venice before boarding our cruise ship. This hotel was selected because of its location near the transportation center and the reasonable price including the add-on breakfast. In addition to the convenience, the staff was friendly, the rooms were larger than expected and very modern. We weren't expecting much for the add-on breakfast but we were blown away by the selection and quality of the food! This was definitely a gem of a hotel.

We recently stayed at Olimpia for 3 nights prior to a cruise. The location was perfect and so easy to get to from the airport. The hotel is really close to the ATVO bus stop from the airport and the People Mover to get to the cruise port. Since we were there during the Venice floods, the staff was so helpful by finding restaurants that were opened and made reservations for us. The rooms were spacious and very clean. Overall, this was a fantastic stay....would highly recommend staying here!

My wife and I returned to the lovely hotel Olympia for our 5th visit and this time for our wedding anniversary. I booked this as a night away in Venice for an anniversary and this stay was wonderful. I mentioned that we were celebrating our anniversary and we got a complimentary room upgrade and a lovely gift and heart balloon which really added an extra special touch. Because we booked direct we got a free drink voucher which we enjoy in their small but charming bar. The door man / luggage porter also roomed up and also served us a drink in the bar later on. Hard working staff! The only thing keeping it from being a perfect stay was the breakfast. We weren't impressed with the offering. Stunning hotel and do close to multiple means of public transport and from the cruise terminal!

The location of this hotel is very convenient for connecting to the cruise port and the airport. There was access to all kinds of transportation -water taxi, taxi, bus, shuttles. We used the airport shuttle ATVO. Cost 8Euro per person compared to taxi for 60Euro. The buses are clean and easy to travel on. We did not have much time to get out and about in Venice and the weather was rainy, however, the hotel location seemed to have good access to many of the main sights if you don't mind a walk. It is close to a main shopping area (mall) and several tourist vendors. We also liked this hotel for its Venitian charm. The building is 16th century and they have it decorated in Venitian style. The rooms are spacious and we really liked the room amenities (great hair dryer) and shower (great water pressure). The hotel is clean. Probably the only negative thing we would say is the noise outside. Our room had a nice view of a canal so we could hear a lot of the comings and goings of travelers. The outside courtyard is beautiful and quaint. The breakfast buffet was fabulous!!! 7 Euro per person was a great bargain.

We stayed here for only a single night but would have gladly stayed longer and hope to return. The Hotel Olimpia's location was perfect for us - very close to Piazzale Roma, where we had dropped off a rental car, and near where we left on the train. But it is off a little ways down a small canal, so we didn't feel that it was too crowded. Our room was comfortable and spacious enough, and the center of the hotel had a small courtyard with seating and nice views. The staff treated us very well, and allowed us to leave our luggage in a locked room on the day we checked out until our evening train. The breakfast was the best we had in our two weeks in Italy - lots of variety, both hot and cold food, and delicious! We definitely plan to return here the next time we visit Venice.

We stayed at the Hotel Olimpia in November and it was an excellent base for exploring Venice, in a quiet and pleasant area just off the Piazzale Roma. The location meant that we were able to check in within minutes of stepping off the airport bus, making it very easy to get back to the airport at the end of our trip. Staff were friendly and attentive, the room was well furnished and very clean, and the breakfast was exceptional.

Stayed here with my wife & friends. A very nice hotel with good facilities . Room is spacious , clean, and comfortable. Breakfast is excellent with a wide variety of options. Prices in the hotel bar are typically high but nothing new there. The hotel is only a minutes walk from the bus station which means you don't end up dragging your cases all over the place! The airport bus service drops you there so it's a cheap and efficient way to get to your location. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. We got a good deal to stay here but be careful as sometimes the prices are a bit steep . With a really nice location and all the above plus points it's a really nice place to stay for a visit to Venice and I am more than happy to recommend it.

The hotel is a 5 mins walk from the train station and 2 mins from the coach station. The room we got A7 was excellent. Staff on the desk were very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this place and will stay again.

Hotel Olympia was the perfect choice for our one night in Venice before our cruise. It is a charming hotel on small canal. The bedrooms were beautifully furnished in an old Venetian style with a modern bathroom and large comfortable beds. The staff were helpful and the breakfast was excellent. There is a pretty courtyard with a beautiful garden in the centre of the hotel. The added bonus is that it is very easy to access to and from the bus terminal and the people mover.

I recently stayed at this lovely hotel with a blind friend. We chose the hotel as it was so close to the Piazzale Roma and relatively easy for us to access on arrival. Despite a few misapprehensions, Venice actually proved very easy to navigate and access with a blind friend so we had a wonderful break as a result. The hotel was also far better than we expected. Excellent rooms, lovely comfy beds and linen plus the bathrooms were very well fitted out. We loved the location, garden, bar and breakfast room. The staff were all exceptionally helpful and spoke good English so we were able to get help and advice as necessary. Would certainly recommend this hotel.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Olympia. The hotel is beautiful and the grounds are lovely. The staff were great. The location was very convenient from the bus and train, and for traveling to the airport. It was nice that it was not in a highly touristy area. This property is very close to the bus and train stations. Beautiful room. Very quiet. i really thought we were the only guests there it was so quiet. Beautiful garden to enjoy your mornings, afternoons or evenings. I would stay here again! The staff was very helpful about giving directions to different areas. They have a nice bar area and the breakfast buffet was more than enough. Our room was a nice size with a large bathroom. Very well decorated and very comfortable bed with extra pillows and blankets if needed. Had a coffee and tea maker in the room also plus a safe.

We stayed here during our trip to Venice. The hotel is just a 10 min Walk from SL station. Good option to dine around the hotel. The waterbus station is just 5 mins walk. Staff are friendly and helpful. Like any hotel in Venice the rooms are small but overall the interiors helps you in getting out of that cramped up feeling. Highly recommended if you want to avoid stairs while crossing canals. Overall value for money.

For a pre-cruise hotel, the Olimpia is ideal. It is not fancy but it has charm and is perfectly located! Our room was in the least expensive category, a classic double. It was small but we knew we would not spent much time in it. The room overlooked a lovely garden area. it was very quiet. I think the garden view would be better than facing the canal. For longer stays I would suggest a bigger room. The room had what we needed: comfortable bed, room safe, free Wi-Fi, heated towel rack and a good shower. It was decorated in a charming Italian style. The breakfast buffet was great. There was a good selection of eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit and cold foods, cereals, juices and even champagne. The breakfast is not included in the rate (at least mine) but could be added for an extra charge. It was well worth it. When you arrive, you get coupons for a free glass of prosecco. There are tables by the canal but it was cool out so we chose a window seat in the cozy bar. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We felt welcome. They provided a map and suggested walking or water taxi routes. There are scenic walks and lots of shopping, restaurants etc all close by. The location couldn't be better. It is right on the canal and a very easy walk from the direct airport ATVO bus or the train. As well, there is a water taxi stop at the front of the hotel. If you are going on a cruise (or coming from a cruise) the People Mover is located near where you get off the airport bus. Make sure you check the ‘Venice for Visitors' website because it gives good info on the ATVO and People Mover. When I booked, I got the best room rate using the hotels own website. There are lots of instructions on how to buy the tickets for the ATVO bus from vending machines. We found it easy just to purchase the tickets from an agent right at the bus. The bus stop is right outside the main exit. The busses leave frequently and get you directly to the Piazzale Roma in about 15 minutes. From there it is a 5+ minute walk to the hotel. Be warned, there is only one canal bridge to cross but there are a lot of stairs on the bridge that you must drag your luggage over. Looking at the google map street view from home was a big help to get orientated when we got off the bus. When we checked out, the hotel called a private porter to take our luggage to the people mover. That cost 15 Euro for our two very large suitcases. I'm sure younger people, or those with less baggage could easily carry their own bags. We old wrinklies thought it was money well spent. If we visit Venice again the Olimpia will be our first choice.

My husband and I travelled along ways from Canada to Venice Italy. Like most visitors to Venice you don't know where to stay. The Best Western in Venice was worth the stay. It was the perfect location to the downtown area. Restaurants and shops near by. A breakfast included . Clean rooms, helpful friendly staff. What more could you ask for. They even gave maps and directions around the city. Defenitly worth the stay. Would recommend this hotel to family and friends.

The hotel is located a short walk from the car parking and the train station. Some of the windows face the canal but we've got a nice room facing the backyard. Breakfast was very good and had very many items, including wine :) We liked the room decor. We would choose the same hotel if we are to return !

The reception and the bell staff were very helpful and welcoming. We booked a room at this hotel for its close proximity to the cruise ship pier so it was a five to ten minute walk to the people mover, going over one small bridge, which takes you to the pier. The Piazzale Roma, which is the bus depot to and from the Marco Polo Airport, is just a few steps from the people mover so the Best Western Hotel Olimpia is conveniently situated. Our room was nicely appointed and the breakfast buffet was a wonderful deal! We will definitely book this hotel again!.

Hotel was very nice, close to Piazzale Roma and all transportation - water bus, taxi, and trains. Good restaurants nearby. Not close to St. Mark square, but certainly withing walking distance - 45 minutes to an hour - wandering through the narrow streets and over canals. Staff was very friendly, spoke excellent English and had good recommendations. Highly recommend.

First time to Venice and we arrived by train from Florence. We stayed for two nights in September Location We chose this hotel because of it's proximity to the train station and the airport bus. Because Venice is connected by bridges crossing the channels, we had big bags and so had to lug them across a few to get to the hotel. It wasn't too far though (about 15 mins walk) and there are porter services along the way (not sure how legit they are but they are around if you need them). The airport bus is just outside the hotel so that's very convenient but it's a bit of a walk to San Marcos Square and some of the major attractions ( about 25-30 min walk one way) It's the same distance walk to the direct ferry/water bus that takes you out to Burano and Murano islands which are a must do when visiting Venice. Hotel Facilities The hotel is nicely presented and the porter assists you with your baggage up to the room. We had the cheapest room option and it was nice and spacious with a view overlooking the canal outside. The room was beautifully decorated and had cupboard space, a desk and a couch. Not much noise from the street and there were quite a lot of restaurants in walking distance from the hotel (a couple directly below too). Hotel offered free wifi but no breakfast ,however on arrival they offered breakfast for 5€ which sounded very reasonable. We didn't see what was on offer, but it still sounded reasonable. The bathroom was spacious with a big shower, however the sewer smell got a bit strong once you used the warm water, but I think this was generally a Venice thing due to the canals. It was quite an expensive hotel, but everywhere in Venice is very expensive. We didn't open the windows as I think the mosquitos could have also been a issue with the water so close. Friendly, helpful staff, this hotel was ok for the price. Just a bit far from the main attractions but it was enjoyable wandering the alleyways and stopping at shops along the way. Highly recommend doing your research for restaurants in Venice as you can get caught out paying a lot of money for very average food.

Booked a post cruise stay here. Great location....take peoplemover to Pizzale Roma and just three bridges to hotel. Entire staff was great! Room was comfortable and very clean. Cab to airport is a two minute walk from hotel. Will stay here next visit to Venice!

We stayed at Hotel Olimpia for two days following a Mediterranean cruise, selecting it because it was a short trip on the people mover from the cruise port to Plaza Roma and then a short walk to the hotel from there. It also provided easy access to the city's bus station when we needed to catch a shuttle to the airport. The hotel is beautiful, with clean, comfortable rooms. Ours faced the canal and we heard very little noise at night. The hotel has its own breakfast room and offered a nice variety of choices. A nearby Vaporetto (water bus) station makes it easy to reach all the key sites in the city within 20 minutes and it is about a 30-minute walk to San Marco from the hotel.

We stayed at the Hotel Olimpia for one night prior to leaving on a cruise. We booked a junior suite (room 205), and it was perfect. The hotel is situated within a very short walk of the buses. Literally over a small pedestrian bridge. If you don't have much luggage, you could easily take the bus from the airport. You can see the hotel across the canal from the bus and taxi square. The room was very comfortable with lots of room for our luggage, and a large bathroom. The room was very clean, and quite elegant. Certainly not at all like a Best Western in the United States. Our room also had a balcony with a couple of chairs, and overlooked the canal. Very picturesque. The breakfast buffet is an extra 5 euro, but well worth the price. We would definitely recommend this hotel, and would stay there again.

Came here after our cruise and had a wonderful stay. Very close to piazzale roma so it helped not having to go too far with our luggages. The staff here are super nice and so helpful. We couldn't check in early but they held our luggage for us so we could roam around. Rooms are very nice. Beds super comfortable. Bathrooms are modern with rain showerheads. They have a breakfast for €5 pp and well worth the price as they offer so much! We definitely will be staying here again if we are in the area. Thanks for making our stay in Venice great!

There's nothing spectacular about this hotel except the location to catch an early morning shuttle bus to the airport. The Good: the triple rooms are spacious, clean and there's plenty of hot water. The courtyard is pretty. Breakfast was plentiful. The Bad: Our 'canal view' rooms looked onto the bus station. The key operates ALL the lights as one entity, so either ALL the lights in the room are on or they are off. If one person wants to stay up and read then all the lights in the room have to stay on. We put the 'do not disturb' sign up, they came and cleaned the room anyway. It was windy and the wooden shutters banged all night. Front desk was nice, but not all that helpful. They gave horrible recommendations for very touristy restaurants. Wifi was spotty. It's not budget friendly. Really this is just an average hotel. If I'd gone in knowing this, I wouldn't have been so disappointed. The other reviews were so good, I decided to trust them. You win some you loose some. Overall a very touristy 'Americanized' 3 star hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in October 2016 and recommend it! We would stay here again in a heartbeat! We were coming into Venice on the train, so wanted a hotel walkable from the train station because we would hauling our luggage. We were not interested in hauling our luggage on the vaporetto or hiring an expensive water taxi. There were two bridges we had to cross but it was short walkable distance from the train station. The hotel's location near the P del Roma was a plus because the ATVO airport bus stop was nearby and we were able to walk to it with our luggage in 5-10 minutes. Having been to Venice before, We didn't see the need in staying near San Marco. Each morning With our 3 day Vaporetto pass, the waterbus station nearby made it convenient to get to the sites we wanted to see. We took the #1 waterbus the first day (and that stopped at every stop and took almost an hour down the grand canal.) But days 2-5 we took the #2 vaporetto that was an express to the San marco area. Also, the People mover to the cruise ships nearby makes this convenient for anyone on pre or post cruise stay. Even though we could see the buses at the P del Roma from our window, the room was quiet. We had a room overlooking the front canal. The room was average sized. The bathroom was modern and large. We paid the 5 euro p/p per day extra for breakfast. We felt this was a good value for the variety and quantity of breakfast food provided. The front desk staff and the breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. The map they gave us was detailed enough to get around, though i wish it had the names of the Vaporetto stops marked on it. The room had an electric kettle and the hotel provided instant coffee packets and cream packets, but we had to ask every evening to bring us the packets. They didn't automatically replenish them during the room cleaning. Note, they had real coffee drinks at breakfast. We just needed a jumpstart every morning with the kettle coffee. We found several good restaurants within walking distance of the hotel (walking away from the bus area), and there is a trattoria next to the hotel, but we didn't get a chance to try that one. There is a small garden area at the hotel, but the weather was too cold to enjoy it more. We recommend this hotel and would stay here again because of the location and convenience.

We travelled to Venice as a group of six, three couples, and we booked this hotel by perusing the web. It was a great choice, well placed for arrivals by train or bus and well placed for a bus to the airport when we departed. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed; and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was also close to many restaurants and eating houses and well placed to explore Venice. We would return to this hotel.

We stayed at the Olimpia three years ago and we're very glad to return. Since we were last there it has been refurbished not that it seemed to need it before. This time we had a lovely room at the front of the hotel. Being cold we didn't have the windows open so weren't affected by any possible noise from the canal below or Pizzalle Roma across the way. It was lovely to look out and see the Venetians going about their life. The bathroom was beautifully decorated, very modern with some Venetian twists. It was my birthday while we were there, which the hotel had obviously noted from my passport. On the day of my birthday on arrival at breakfast the staff had very kindly decorated the table with a balloon, rose petals and chocolates. What a lovely surprise (thank you Hotel Olimpia!). The breakfast buffet was great value for five euros. There was a good choice including Prosecco and smoked salmon. Having noted a previous review noting the trust worthiness of the staff, my husband accidentally left his wedding ring in the bathroom one day and we were very happy on our return from a day out to find it still there! I just can't recommend this hotel enough for value, cleanliness, friendliness of staff and location. We will return again!

Hotel is conveniently located to bus for airport, and the local water transportation. The hotel staff gave us directions to a glass blowing factory on Murano so we could take the water transport to Murano, then walk to the glass blowing demonstration. All wonderful. We were only able to stay one night post cruise. There were 5 of us, and we had one triple and one double. Great rooms. I highly recommend.

Stayed for two nights earlier this month with my husband and another couple. We chose this hotel because of the location, just across the canal bridge from Piazzale Roma which is the last point at which cars can go and within walking distance of the train station. Got a transfer from airport at a very reasonable 45 euro fare. Just a 30 minute walk to St. mark's square, through windy picturesque streets with lovely wee shops and views. You could take the vaporetto but would miss a lot. We got a water taxi back, well worth the 60 euro fare for the comfort and fun. We were all very pleasantly surprised when we arrived, very friendly welcome with information, help with cases and complimentary prosecco. The decor is very venetian but not overdone. Comfortable, ultra clean and spacious rooms, which were quiet and the kettles with tea and coffee were much appreciated by us Brits. 5 euros for breakfast was extremely good value and we particularly liked the mackerel and salmon. The wee bar was a nice place to sit for a nightcap. All staff could not have been more friendly, professional and helpful. We would definitely book again for a return visit.

The hotel let us store a bag while we went on a week-long cruise. After our return, we spent a long day walking around Venice. A few glasses of Prosecco and a pizza were just what we needed and the Hotel Olympia met the need. The room was comfortable and breakfast was delicious.

Initially we booked at a hotel just outside Venice next to Mestre station to save money. Big mistake!! We discovered this hotel right near the train station in Venice and the lowest cost room (Rosa room) was only $25 more per night then the hotel near Mestre but it was far, far better and had a fantastic location. We had a wonderful breakfast well worth the small added charge and enjoyed walking through Venice far more because we were now close to our hotel if we needed to stop in for whatever. With the hotel at Mestre Station we had to leave the hotel for the full day and had no convenient refuge if we needed it. We loved this choice and it was the best value for the location. Being close to the train station meant only a short distance to carry luggage. The hotel itself is beautiful as was our room.

Walking distance from the train station and the people mover. Short walk to the vapporetti boats. The hotel is on a canal but our room had a courtyard view which was nice and quiet. The hotel does have a bar and places to sit along the canal or you can sit in the courtyard. The room was good size and nicely appointed. There is an elevator and porter service and they will store your bags on check out day. We were there one night to catch a cruise the following day. The breakfast spread was terrific and certainly worth the extra 5 euros.

I left gold bracelet in the safe box... was not able to contact the staff next day (was on the cruise), I thought that No way I would get it Back!!!!! Hotel stuff was able to send me back to ny home address!!!!... It was NOT stolen... wow !!!!. You CAN TRUst this HOTEL 100%!!!!

Great location and great hotel at Hotel Olimpia in Venice. We arrived by plane and took the bus from the airport to the Piazzale Roma. Our hotel was a short walk from here - very convenient and easy. We traveled to Mark's Square, the Rialto Bridge, etc. by water bus which was also a short walk away (purchase the day pass because you will end up riding it a few times). The staff at the hotel were fantastic - they recommended restaurants and provided a map and directions as needed. There was also a delicious continental breakfast available for a small cost. We were going on a cruise and this was the perfect location, the People Mover (transportation to the cruise ports) was nearby - about a five minute walk away near the Piazzale Roma. Highly recommend Hotel Olimpia and would stay here again if I ever return to Venice (I hope I do).

Fantastic hotel been there 5 times now great breakfast and staff are very helpful. Location great for train bus and water bus. You can also walk into the centre there are many different ways. Great restaurants and bars near the hotel and they are not very expensive. If you need any help just ask Robert at the hotel he is very good.

First time at Hotel Olympia but definitely not the last! Great location with good access to main bus/train station. Visited Venice on multiple occasions and this stay was slightly further away from the tourist mayhem , and thanks to the brilliant helpful staff we were recommended some very good bars and restaurants in a lovely square about a ten minute walk away. Our room was quite small but immaculate with plenty of storage, comfortable bed and amazingly quiet! Breakfast was excellent, great choice of everything to start the day. Will recommend with enthusiasm!!

The best: Breakfast to die for. Definitely spring for the 5 Eu buffet! By far the most expansive and delicious breakfasts we enjoyed anywhere during our two-week trip. Will never forget that lemon cake! Next best: Hotel cleanliness and amenities. We were upgraded to the top-floor junior suite. Spotless, spacious and quiet. Nicely furnished. Having a drink in the evening at the hotel bar was a really nice touch, especially with Marco tending. Selena at the front desk was very helpful with restaurant and getting-around-town tips. The garden was beautiful; unfortunately, due to rain, we didn't get to enjoy a meal or drink amid the flowers. Honorable mention: Being less than 10 minutes' walk from the train station, water taxis, pretty much anything you'd need to get around the city. The only downside: Our luggage was a bit of a challenge. A two-week trip in variable fall weather meant we needed two good-sized bags. While most of the bridges near the train station have ramps making luggage handling easy, the two biggest ones don't have these ramps. Including the bridge to the BW Olimpia. Still, it was worth the minor hassle and we'd definitely stay there again.

Well situated to many sights and away from the crowded, touristy hotels and their crowds. Excellent hotel staff who had great recommendations for eating and sight-seeing paths. Full breakfast for 5 euros, a great value. If you have lots of big bags, you may need to hire a porter to get them over the canal bridges. WE arrived by train and there are hotels on same side as the train station along one of the main streets, -- upside are no bridges to cross with bags; downside is hordes of tourists once you step outside of hotel--not a big deal but one to note.

This hotel is so handy when arriving to Venice by train or bus yet close to walk to all the many highlights Venice has to offer.its a bit of a maize for first time travelers so its handy to off load the luggage then explore.the staff and facilities are exemplary and standards throughout the hotel are of a very high standard rooms are a bit of the small side and the bathrooms but of a high standard.

Not much to look at on the outside but really nice inside. The staff were really helpful, multi lingual and very professional. Great central location, may access from Marco Polo airport and convenient to the cruise terminal. Only a short walk to the Grande Canal.

My wife and I stayed in Venice for two days before a cruise, and after researching options on TripAdvisor and elsewhere, we chose the Hotel Best Western Olimpia. We had a good stay, and would stay there again if we return to Venice and wanted to be near the cruise terminal. The hotel is just off the Piazzale Roma, which is where taxis and buses to/from the mainland stop, and next to the cruise terminal and train station. It was very easy to walk to and from our hotel with our luggage; there was only one bridge to cross (with stairs up and down). We arrived at the hotel early, around 10:30am, but they let us check in immediately so we didn't have to store our luggage while waiting for a room. Luna, at the front desk, was very friendly and helpful. The hotel and common areas are small by US standards. The elevator was barely large enough for the two of us and our two suitcases. Our room (#111) was a pretty good size size for a European hotel, with a decent bedroom and a large hall/sitting area. The queen bed was actually two smaller mattresses made up together, but the bed was comfortable enough. The room was sparsely decorated, with only one painting on the wall of the sitting area. The canal-view windows opened, with wooden shutters outside and no screens, and they did a good job of blocking light and noise when everything was closed. The were separate climate controls in both the sitting area and bedroom, which worked reasonably well, but were hard to use because of the numerous tiny controls with tiny labels. The bathroom had a large shower stall (no tub) with good water pressure. There wasn't a lot of storage space in the bathroom or the bedroom, but it was enough for our short stay. The hotel offers a breakfast buffet for an additional 5 euros p/p per day, which is well worth it. There was a limited selection of hot and cold items but they were good, and you could eat outside in the garden, weather permitting; we ate in the garden the first morning, but it was too cool the second morning. The check out process on our last morning was quick and painless. We've never stayed in Venice before, so I don't know how the Olimpia compares with other hotels in the area, but we enjoyed our stay there and had no issues, and we would not hesitate to stay there again.

The title says it all. The breakfast for 5 euros is also decent. Other than this, I cannot highly recommend this hotel. The rooms were tiny with no room to unpack anything. The bathroom shower could not maintain the water temperature properly & kept changing from burning hot to cold. The provided hair dryer had very little power and was useless. My overall feeling about my experience was that I did not look forward to coming back to this room each evening. Also, all air conditioning is turned off on Oct 1 and there was a very hot spell while we were in Venice. We were able to open the windows, but it was stifling in there. To the credit of the staff, I will say that they offered to change our room, but since it was our last night, we declined.

Booked and prepaid online. Arrived by cruise ship and disembarked in Venice. FromCruise terminal wheeled bags one block to the"people mover " overhead train. Next stop get off and walk one block keeping to the right of the square.Cross over foot bridge and turn right t top of and against bottom of bridge and your hotel is right there on the canal! SO convenient! From out side it looks rather plain but is anything but on the inside. Beautifully decorated in marble etc and extremely clean! Wow! Staff were there for you and your needs. Room equally impressive and very quiet. Beautiful courtyard swell. Bkfast for 5 euros- hard to beat for the value in Venice. Of note is the location. We were advised by many to visit but not to stay in or near St. Marks Square. So glad we listened! This hotel is so convenient to cruise port, Airport bus, Water taxis and hop on hop off water buses. Cruised right to St Marks Square etc and then walked the town. Cruised back at night to our hotel. In town you have to wheel your bags for blocks and blocks which we witnessed repeatedly. NO thanks! This hotel is in an ideal location for all activities, all with in block or two to jump on and enjoy! highly recommend it!

Only came into this hotel for a drink because we were staying and the sister Hotel next door. The service from the bar man was excellent, I would definitely recommend staying here or for a drink! Right on the canal, very quiet and not too far from the grand canal!

Stayed at this hotel October 14th and 15th before our cruise and on October 23rd after our cruise. I had read all reviews before booking but was skeptical that the hotel was as good as the reviews. After being there my skepticism was unwarranted. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome. Our room was comfortable and immaculate. The staff was a pleasure. At reception each individual knew our name and room number and were very attentive. The were more than helpful in giving us directions to where we wanted to go. Breakfast was a real treat and great value. The location was very convenient. I would not hesitate to return to this hotel and to recommend it to others. Absolutely great value.

Stayed here for three nights post cruise and everything was great. Staff at front desk were very friendly and helpful. Room was very good size and large bathroom. Limited drawer space though. Breakfast was awesome with great selection of items that should please everyone. Great location for getting to airport on ATVO and for using public water bus(ACTV). Would definitely stay here again

We booked this hotel for an over night stay in Venice based on good reviews. Also, we were getting off a cruise ship & then flying out of Marco Polo airport the following day. So as far as convenience, this was nice for our family of four. We took a taxi, 20E from cruise ship to the hotel, with short walking distance to hotel. Easy check in process. The staff was friendly. However, our room smelled as if something had died in the vent system. Also, they advertise A/C, then once we check in tell us that is not an option. We were forced to open our windows to let fresh air in. Luckily it was a cool night & us southerners didn't sweat ourselves to sleep. Upon checking out, they had added a breakfast fee which no one in our group had eaten the breakfast at the hotel. They corrected it with no problem but if your not checking this, it's yet another added fee. I'm giving terrible reviews based on the false advertisement with the A/C & most of all the terrible smell from the air duct in the bathroom. Other than that, like I said it was conveniently located for what we needed. We were able to take a short walk to the bus station the following day & catch a bus to Marco Polo for 8E per person, took about 30 min to get to the airport. The hotel was clean, like I said the staff was friendly, if it had not been for the malodorous smell, I'd be giving better reviews.

Close to the train station and bus terminal, and away from much of the hustle and bustle of Venice, we loved this hotel! Though a 20 minute "bus" (boat) ride to San Marco, we were very happy with the location, and enjoyed the time on the bus down the canal! Well appointed, with friendly and welcoming staff, the rooms are large (to European standards), well maintained. We did not eat breakfast, however, our travel companions enjoyed daily. As a side note, even with a map, we were a bit lost on arrival. Traveling Italy for 2.5 weeks, we had a bit of luggage between the 4 of us. Hire a porter at the train station, he will bundle your luggage, and take you to the hotel door! Well worth the $30, vs, roaming lost over bridges and crowds!

Very near to the bus station (about 100yards) which helps when arriving from a long trip. Not that we were aware of the buses at all. We stayed for three days so saw several changes of staff and all were good people. Helpful especially as we had to ask the usual questions that guests must do many times a day, every day. Breakfast was € 5 which given this is Venice was fantastic. So we ate well then and it set us up for the day. The room was fine; modern and comfortable. The location was very a great place to start from. The city proper begins immediately, There is a canal outside the front door; you are just into the atmosphere immediately.

In order to avoid carrying your bags for long distances through the narrow streets of Venice, going up and down stairs over the many bridges, a location close to the bus station (where the airport shuttle arrives) and train station cannot be beaten. So much easier to enjoy the beautiful walk to the centre without your bags! The hotel is located in a 'real' neighbourhood - yes there are many tourists all over Venice, but in this area there are many shops and cafes etc that cater for locals not tourist exclusively - the streets and canals, and restaurants and cafes are quieter than those around St Marks' Square. The hotel has a lovely garden, and tables along a canal bank where you can enjoy drinks of coffee. The breakfast choice was excellent! The staff at the hotel were very welcoming, and I felt that the hotel made a big effort to ensure guests enjoyed their stay.

The rooms were large, clean and very comfortable. The staff could not have been any nicer. They spoke great English and were always willing to answer questions. The breakfast was crowded but top notch. Would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't such a nightmare to get to with heavy bags. They warn you just before you arrive that you will have to cross a bridge - make that at least 2 and probably 3. When they say cross a bridge though they mean haul your luggage up and down stairs!

For our first visit to Venice, staying at Hotel Olimpia was a great choice. The hotel was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. For a three star, it felt very luxurious. We had a room for three which was as sumptuous as the public areas of the hotel. The room was also spacious with a great view of the canal. The staff were helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the location as it was easy to find as it is very close to the main bus station Pizzale Roma. We had a snack in the bar which was pleasant especially the ice-cream. The buffet breakfast was very enjoyable, all served and displayed in a very stylish way. Watch out for room tax which is in addition to quoted prices. The simple dinner we had was also highly priced. At the time of booking this hotel GBP was stronger against the Euro and at arrival much weaker making this a very expensive stay. Having said that, I have always wanted to visit this unique city so I am pleased we stayed at this hotel as it offered us a beautiful and convenient introduction to Venice.

This was my second stay at the BW Hotel Olimpia. Arrived around 10 am and was happy that my room was available at the time. My daughter was to arrive the next day. Room was set up with twin beds and we had a lovely bathroom with tub and a view overlooking the garden. Received excellent information (directions, water bus info, etc) from the front desk staff several times during our 2 night stay. The breakfast buffet is bountiful. The fact that this hotel is only one bridge away from Piazza de Roma makes it ideal for the traveler. The fact that it offers comfort and great service just adds to the positives. Would readily stay here again and recommend it to others.

get place to stay pre/post cruise- easy access to people mover to get you to cruise port with access to taxi service both by water and car, we had the car service drop us off and it was an easy track to hotel and easy access to water taxi (which is not cheap). safe and convenient for elderly/walking difficulties but does require one set of bridges to access from taxi drop off

What a wonderful place.. as this was our first trip to Europe and I am a huge researcher and planned our entire trip..I wanted to find hotels that were reasonably modern and close to everything and provided breakfast and where possible, a view. Venice was the one place I wasn't too sure about the 'modern' aspect ... but WOW our room was gorgeous and my partner, who I was really worried about not liking it... (he's not into old fashioned styles) loved it too... it was modern yet had that Elizabethan style.. we were on the 4th floor so we had a beautiful view overlooking all the houses etc, the breakfast was delicious and they even provided champagne.. we flew into Trevisio airport and decided to catch a taxi into Venice, I had already emailed the hotel about getting there and they did suggest a shuttle bus for 10€ or the taxi for 90€ .. we were tired and it was about 8pm and Trevisio is about an hour from Venice so we caught a cab.. all the cabs and buses and trains stop at the same place in Venice and our hotel was right there... absolutely perfect location.. we stayed in Venice for 2 nights and we boarding a cruise, which the hotel was in a perfect location for because we hoped on the 'people mover' for 1.80€ which took us directly to the port not even 5 minutes away... fantastic stay and would definitely stay here again.. highly recommend

This hotel is really conveniently located (extremely close to Piazzale Roma) the room (#208) was great (right on a canal), and the staff was friendly and helpful. It also has an amazing back garden, which is an oasis of tranquility and is very lovely. Everything you could ask for, right? Being I travel a lot for business, I have a habit of testing the honesty of the maids. I once, many years ago, felt my bag might have been tampered with. So since then, I set a trap. I place my bag a certain way, and when I come back to the room, I can tell immediately tell if the bag has been moved. I place the bag away from where it might be accidentally bumped by say, a vacuum cleaner or whatever, so as to not have a false result. I sometimes even also lock the bag, even though I have nothing of value in it. Anyway, I came back to the room, and not only had my locked bag been moved, the zipper was broken. I guess the temptation of the locked bag was too much for the dishonest jerk. I brought the bag immediately to the front desk, showed them the broken zipper tab, and misaligned teeth of the zipper, and told them the bag had been opened and that I was disappointed. I also mentioned that this event had tainted my stay with them and my whole visit to Venice. They were not happy to hear my bag had been tampered with, and apologized and said they'd look into it. But I never received any other feedback for the rest of my stay (3 nights, Oct. 12-15th). Luckily, not being a travel newbie, all our valuables were in the safe, so the maid (I assume it was the maid, but it could have been a bell-hop or someone else, of course) must have been quite frustrated to find a magazine and cell phone charger and other miscellaneous $0 value stuff in the bag. From that point on we were extra vigilant about not leaving anything in the room of any value, just in case. The safe was stuffed to the gills, let me tell you. Earlier today I received the survey I was waiting for: "How was your stay?". I filled it out and detailed my disappointment over this incident. To their credit, the Olimpia replied immediately saying they were investigating, that they would be able to trace who had entered the room as the keys, which were a magnet type device I have never seen before, are individually identifiable and access is recorded. They also said they would let me know the result (I hope it is an immediate firing!). But it would have been nice the next time i passed the front desk that someone provide me this information in person, and perhaps have said, "here's a free drink on us", or made some other gesture. But alas, it did not happen, so what could have been an excellent rating is unfortunately an average. I did leave a note in the room when we left, written in Italian, saying I knew they had touched my bag, that I had reported it, and that I hoped they lost their job. I would still recommend the hotel, despite this one bad apple. We stayed in and visited several cities in Italy on this trip, and we encountered more scummy operators in Venice than anywhere else. I guess it is one of the more touristy places, so beware of hucksters and thieves. They seem to be legion in Venetzia.

We arrived late morning and hauled our very heavy bags over the bridge which wasn't really that bad as the steps are pretty shallow. We received a warm welcome and the staff offered to hold our bags as we explored. When we returned, they were already put in our suite that we were upgraded to. A canal view from the front balcony and garden view from the back, just beautiful. The room looked like it had been completely redone yet keeping the old charm. The little café outside on the canal was a great place to have a snack (the mushroom pizza was excellent) and a drink and watch the boats on the canal and the beautiful scenery. We took a long nap and when we woke up, we decided to find a late dinner and there were many great places right there. We had a fabulous dinner and some incredible gelato then back to the hotel for a restful night's sleep. The breakfast was varied and plentiful and we ate outside in the beautiful garden. The staff arranged transportation to the ship for us that included someone hauling our bags back over the bridge. We would love to stay there again. Thanks for the warm welcome, the staff was so nice and there's free Internet!

After much research to find a hotel in Venice which was close to transport and the cruise terminal , we decided this was our best option. We were not disappointed. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful and our rooms were clean with comfortable beds. We stayed 1 night pre and post cruise and we found the hotel is in fact ideally located for easy access to transport and the cruise port. Only 1 bridge to cross from Piazzale Roma, a real bonus with luggage. We easily strolled to the Rialto area and took the Vaporetta to St. Marks Square. Nice gardens with sun loungers and tables for dining outside, small but well stocked bar. A great hotel in a beautiful city.

We stayed at the Olimpia for the night before a cruise - it's very well located for the people mover to the cruise terminal. Breakfast is outstanding and there's a lovely little garden at the back of the hotel (although I recommend a good spray of DEET if sitting outside!). Decent room (with tea and coffee making facilities) and a free glass of prosecco in the evening.

Very near to where the bus drops you off from the airport so you don't have to drag your cases between people and over bridges. Room was a little small but had everything we needed. Breakfast was buffet style but best of all the hotel had a garden at the rear with somewhere to relax and sunbathe. All in all could not fault it and we hope to return soon.

Excellent choice for a pre or post cruise stay. Our room was ready in the morning, allowing us to rest after an overnight flight. The room was well appointed and quiet, with a canal side view. The staff staff were very friendly and helpful, especially so in forwarding items we had left left behind. The water buses are within easy walking distance, as is the people mover to the cruise terminal. Good canal side restaurants and gelato stands are nearby.

Having stayed at many Best Westerns in North America I've learned to expect an average budget conscious hotel. Such was not the case on our visit to Venice, Italy. The Olimpia was a small boutique hotel on a canal which was located right in Piazzale Roma and minutes from the Cruise ship terminal. The rooms were stunningly decorated in period furnishings of old Venice yet with modern day amenities. The washroom was impeccably clean as well as the room. At the back of the hotel was a lawn with gardens which was a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. At the front of the hotel were tables along the canal where you could have a glass of wine al fresco. The breakfast buffet offered was nothing like I've seen in other Best Westerns. It was excellent with its many choices. All in all this was a great hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone especially if you need to be close to the cruise port.

We stayed here for three days in late September. It is ideally placed near to the transport hub at the place de Roma. The hotel offers bed and breakfast and has a bar. The staff spoke excellent English and were friendly and efficient. The rooms were well kitted out and very clean. The breakfast gave you plenty of choice. The hotel also offers a free taxi ride to the Murano glass making factory on Murano island. You could walk to a lot of the sights from this hotel. We used a 24 hour Vapparetto (water bus) to get to the farther areas such as St Marks square. The price was very competitive for Venice which is generally a bit pricey. I would recommend that people use this hotel.

Located in Piazza de Roma, best location if you are cruising. Hotel is so 'Italian'. Very clean and very quiet location. Has a small courtyard that you can enjoy. Staff is so very friendly and helpful.

The hotel location is good, just about 400-500 mts from the train station. We managed to reach there lugging our luggage. Hauling it over the bridges was a pain, but that's Venice for you. It is located on a quiet street and arm of the canal so no traffic. Small garden in the back which was pretty. Service was good. We were offered breakfast for 5 Euros per day per person and the spread is great. The person managing the break fast is a especially cheerful lady. Upon checking in the lady at the reception gave us a good idea about how we could walk to the other end of the Grand canal and cover the San Marco Piazza, the Rialto bridge, the Ducal Palace and the Bridge of Sighs. While on the way back we could take the vaparetto to a stop near the hotel. We managed to lose ourselves in the lanes of Venice. Beautiful place, delightful small eateries. Google was on hand to guide us back to the hotel.

The staff was friendly and was very informative, after checking in they gave me a map of Venice and circled the location of the closest water bus that could take us to/from St. Marks Square. Since our room wasn't ready yet (we arrived early in the morning) they were able to keep + store our luggage while we could explore Venice. The room was nice and clean, bed was comfy and the bathroom was clean and modern looking. The AC was quiet and didn't bother us during the night. The view from our room was fantastic, it gave us a nice view of the front of the hotel. The room contained amenities such as a safe, mini-fridge and coffee maker. The location of this hotel is perfect for anyone staying before or after a cruise from Venice. There were minimal bridges (2 small ones) and steps in order to get to/from the hotel from Piazzale Roma. It's a 5 min walk to/from the People Mover + Piazzale Roma. The WIFI was very fast and coverage seemed good anywhere in the hotel...perfect for playing Pokemon Go (2-3 Pokestops here). Breakfast was very good, selection was very impressive and the cost was very minimal (5 euros).

We arrived after an overnight flight and we saw the hotel right away when we got off the ATVO bus from Marco Polo airport. We walked over one small bridge and arrived at the hotel. Check in was easy and our room wasn't quite ready as it was only 11 a.m. so they took our luggage and we went out to explore. Our room was ready when we returned in an hour. We were on the 3rd floor room 305 on the front of the hotel overlooking a small canal. The room was nicely decorated even though it was on the small size. The bathroom was nice and modern. The breakfast buffet for 5 euros was delicious. Check out was speedy and we were on our way to the cruise terminal. I would recommend this hotel for anyone taking a cruise.

After spending hours reading at hotel reviews, we were so pleased we found this hotel. The hotel was beautiful. The location was perfect (no trundling cases over countless bridges like so many bedraggled visitors we saw). The staff were brilliant and very helpful. The buffet breakfast - including bacon and eggs! - was a great way to start the day. Our many thanks to all the staff at Olimpia for helping make a great holiday great!

We visited this property five years ago and were so impressed that we booked again without looking at other options for this trip. Perfect location, next to Pl Roma, easy access, beautiful rooms and grounds, very good staff and an excellent breakfast...everything we wanted. We arrived very early from our cruise ship,and understandably the room wasn't reAdy, no worries, as they stored our bags and when we returned late that afternoon, we just got our key and the bags were in our room waiting. Our bathroom seemed newly renovated and was very nice, the bed super comfortable and the view into the garden was beautiful. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. If we ever return to Venice again, this will be our hotel of choice.

Chose the Olimpia specifically for location next to Piazzale Roma and the People Mover to the Cruise Ship Terminal. It was so close you could see the People Mover station from our room window across a small canal. Room was smallish but you cannot expect much more for a bargain price in Venice. Only complaint was the shower which was impossible to keep inside the enclosure and ended up drenching the whole bathroom floor.Breakfast adequate. Rare to get a small garden with a Venice hotel.

What a great experience. The hotel staff and reception was amazing and always ready to assist and even helped with doing reservations on our behalf for day trips. The buffet breakfast is one of the best I had at 3 star hotels and really worth it and a big varity. The rooms are reasonable in size, beautifully decorated and well cleaned. The best part of the hotel is the location. Very near the bus and taxi terminal and train station. Lots of restaurants nearby and gondeliers about 80 meters from hotel. I will definetly return to this hotel when I am back in Venice. Highly recommended.

From the check-in experience to the check-out, everything was great. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. We arrived late and the desk clerk was very helpful getting our luggage to our room. Very nice pleasant room and comfortable bed. Clean bathroom and nice shower. Chose to eat breakfast at the hotel. Nice small buffet for 5 euros. Better bargain than any in the US and the food was really good! Beautiful grounds, close to the bus station, cruise port and vaporetto. A perfect hotel to stay in Venice!! Highly recommend!!

My wife and I stayed here for a night before our cruise of the Mediterranean. First of all, the hotel's location is very convenient for our connection to the cruise terminal. A direct bus from the airport took us to Plaza Roma for Euros 8 each. The hotel is right across from the Plaza. You do have to negotiate two bridges with steps. It is a bit of a struggle if you have large luggage. Going to the cruise terminal is also easy. There is a People Mover train that takes you to the cruise terminal from Plaza Roma for 1.5 Euros each person. The hotel itself is a charming old building. We stayed in the old wing. There is no elevator in that wing. You'll need the bell boy to lug the luggage up to the floor for you. The hotel staff is very pleasant though. We have the superior room which is an average sized hotel room in Europe. Furnishing is part old world and part modern. Overall it is a comfortable room, though not luxurious. There is no dinner service in the hotel but there are plenty of cheap to expensive restaurants around

The hotel is so peaceful, great to walk around and I loved being in the "Bungalow". It was a garden room maybe, but it was amazing. The staff was great and very helpful. The hotel is right on the water and has it's own water taxi stop right across the street. However, to get to the Vaporetto (Water bus) is a nice walk away.

We could not fault this hotel and all the staff were extremely friendly. It has a lovely traditional charm about it. We had a very nice room overlooking the garden and the bed was one of the most comfortable we have ever had. There is a very nice small garden with a few tables and chairs outside and also 4 sunbeds. The hotel is not in the centre of Venice but it is in a very nice area with plenty of cafes and restaurants and it is in a VERY convenient location for the bus station if you want the shuttle bus to the airport (only about 5 to 10 minutes walk). The bus is only 8 euros per person. Arriving off our cruise we took the People Mover train which was about 10 minutes walk from our ship and the train takes just a few minutes to the Piazzale Roma where the bus station is and costs 1.5 euros per person. A tip to reduce the number of steps over canal bridges with your luggage to get to the hotel is to walk right to the far end of the square to where the airport buses leave and there is a pavement without any steps down to the canal.Turn right and walk along to the top of the first bridge then down the steps on the right and the hotel is just a couple of minutes along that canal. Will definitely stay here again the next time we are back in Venice !

This is the 11th time we have stayed at this hotel. It is well situated close to the bus and train stations. Rooms are lovely and you could not want for anything more at breakfast. Staff are very helpful and friendly. We have stayed in many hotels in Venice over the years and whilst a lot of them have been great we find this hotel is perfect for location, comfort, facilities offered and of course, wonderful staff. We will be back!!!

I, along with 13 of my friends, recently stayed at Hotel Olimpia. The hotel itself is very clean, with nice size rooms, all decorated beautifully with a Venetian flair! Everyone on the staff was extremely courteous and helpful, especially Marta, Gloria, Robert and Thomas at the concierge desk. I was very impressed that each time I walked up to ask a question, each of them stood to answer me and were just as helpful and cheerful as they could be. It was refreshing and very much appreciated! The breakfast was excellent, and there were enough choices to satisfy everyone. The choice to sit in the beautiful breakfast room or out in the garden was a nice decision to have to make each morning. The location of the hotel is in a quiet part of Venice and only a very short walk from the train, vaparetto and the parking lot for cars, vans and buses. It was perfect! If and when I return to Venice, this will be my choice for a hotel.

The location of this hotel is super convenient to/from airport and especially to/from cruise port. Located near bus/train terminal and people mover - only have to cross one bridge. The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. Room was large and clean. Bed was fairly comfortable. Very quiet. Nice tables in front along canal with bar service are an excellent place to relax in the late afternoon. Could not have been more ideal location coming from cruise then departing with very early morning flight. Plenty of nearby restaurants. Easy access to vaporetto to get to St Mark's.

Spacious attractive room, very convenient location to the cruise port and close to all attractions, water buses and airport transfers. Breakfast - Wide selection for all tastes. Luggage storage facility was most convenient.

First visit with two teenagers . An amazing discovery away from the crowds overlooking the canals, gondolas and the real venice. The staff could not be friendlier. Robert in reception was a true gentleman with priceless tips on where to go, a charming humour and perfect English. We would recommend this hotel to anyone for the ultimate Venice experience.

We have stayed at this Hotel every September for the past 6 years and we be rebooking to stay again next September. As ever with Best Western we were not disappointed. Location is the key and for anybody coming in to Venice by land transport , look no further. Very high standard throughout , immaculate décor , very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely sanctuary on the outskirts of the city and only a lovely 20 minute stroll into the heart of this truly wonderful island on the lagoon.

We stayed at Hotel Olimpia prior to embarking on a cruise of the Adriatic. The location was perfect for transportation from the airport and to the cruise ship terminal. Staff were very helpful; the room had old world atmosphere and was very comfortable. Our room was on the ground floor, with the door leading out to a beautiful garden and outdoor breakfast area.

Decided to stay here because of the good reviews on tripavisor. Stayed 1 night before a cruise and we really enjoyed everything about this hotel. Nice room, friendly staff, good breakfast, lovely courtyard and best of all .. the location. Near train, buses and cruise port. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Hotel Olimpia must be the most conveniently located hotel in Venice for anyone traveling in by bus or land taxi from the airport. We saw it plainly as we got out of our taxi, and a walk of less than 100 yards over a small bridge took us to it. It is also very near the vaporetto terminal and the people mover rail transport to the cruise ships. We had booked a superior double in the main building. The room was of good size, including a good sized shower room, was very well furnished and provided a very comfortable bed. It was immaculately clean. We had breakfast in a very pretty , private and quiet garden, while the dining room was also very attractive. Breakfasts catered to every taste and were very good. This is a family hotel and what made our stay so enjoyable,more even than the quality of the accommodation, was the helpfulness and friendliness of staff, both family members and other staff who quite clearly were happy to work there. Marta, a member of the family, advised us on restaurants and made bookings for us at our chosen restaurants before we travelled to Venice. All staff were interested in how we enjoyed them. Staying there for 3 nights before going on a cruise from Venice, they very helpfully looked after our luggage on the morning of our departure until we were ready to set off to the ship in mid afternoon. Venice, we thought, was a magical place and it is no exaggeration to say that our stay at the Hotel Olimpia was an integral part of our great experience of the city.

Stayed here for a few days post cruise. In easy walking distance from the transport hub of Venice. Yes there is some walking up and down steps over bridges to get there but take a look at Venice and this is what it is with bridges over canals. Reception staff friendly and helpful, hotel easy to find and in an out of town area of Venice but well within walking distance of the main sight seeing areas. Many eating places around the hotel and a small supermarket in walking distance.Room clean and comfortable, room quiet, air-conditioning the best we experienced in Europe. Beds comfy but one of the nicest things was the breakfast area/courtyard/green space area at the back of the hotel. So lovely to have breakfast here or relax there any time of the day. Breakfast 5 Euros and well worth it. Area in front of the hotel faces a canal and you can sit here and have a drink. All in all a very good experience, upon checkout a short walk to the transport hub to meet transfer to airport. Would love to stay again.

Close to busses, water taxi, public water bus, train! Welcomed by wonderfully friendly staff who speak excellent English (and rather skillful Italian). This venue is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The room was spacious and well appointed. Comfortable bed. The five euro extravagant buffet is a spectacular bargain. The garden provides an elegant setting to enjoy the melon and scrambled eggs and croissants and prosecco

This is a very good choice for anyone wanting a pre or post cruise hotel..Situated very close to the Piazalle Roma transport hub, it is well placed for the water buses, people mover and airport bus. The hotel offered a nice cruiser arrangement which included breakfast and a welcome drink which may be enjoyed in the bar, garden or terrace. Breakfast and service was very good. We would recommend with proviso to check accessibility of room -- ours was a 4 bed on the 4th floor up in the attics. The bedroom(s) were a very reasonable size, bathroom (shower) adequate but lift only reached 1st floor! Not so desirable if have a lot of luggage or mobility impaired

Me had an awesome experience. We loved out room -we had a nice view to the canal- and it really looked like a dolls room! Perfect for staying here! It's close to the bus and train station , but also close -30 minutes- to San Marcos ! It's great if you don't want to walk all around with your suitcases or pay an extra water taxi in Venice. Breakfast is not included in the price but is totally worth it, when you arrive, ask the guy to include it! Take your time to enjoy the little garden, it's soooo relaxing while you enjoy the welcome cocktail!

The Hotel Olimpia is a charming hotel on a small canal just steps away from the central bus stop. As our visit in Venice was fairly brief, the proximity to the bus depot, water taxi, and train station was crucial to maximize our transport options and to minimize back-and-forth trips. That said, at no time did the hotel's proximity to these transport options somehow mar or interrupt our stay. The hotel is close to transport choices but the feel is that of most of Venice -- a special island that feels a world away. Our spotlessly clean room was decorated in an old world style (which seems to be the norm in Venice) but all furniture was new and in excellent condition. Our room comfortably slept four (two adult and two kids) and was fitted with a sleek, spotlessly clean modern bathroom. The highlight of our stay may have been the absolutely lovely outdoor breakfast we enjoyed in the peaceful, picturesque garden out back. The bountiful spread of tasty food would please almost all palates and featured a great variety of delicious Italian pastries. How wonderful it was to begin the day awakening in a quintessential small European hotel offering a delicious breakfast outdoors in a peaceful garden while hearing the church bell toll the hour at 9 am. Bellissimo! For those not familiar, the Best Western (BW) name in the U.S. is usually synonymous with a cookie-cutter, low-to-mid grade motel experience. But in Europe, BW is simply a marketing vehicle for independently owned boutique-style hotels, each with their own unique charm and usually offering a pretty high quality product (strong 3 star to 4 star level quality). I usually steer clear of BW in the U.S., but have no qualms about checking out their offerings in Europe – they often provide excellent quality, special charm, and good value. So don't let the BW name scare you off. The Hotel Olimpia was a great choice for us and I would definitely recommend it to others.

I'm so glad we pick best western hotel Olympia. The location is great to get in and out of the city. You only have to cross one bridge though we made a mistake took extra bridge. It's not so much fun dragged your luggage up the bridge and down. The hotel staff is wonderful so helpful Marta and Nicolas ( I think ) were great help. Our room is very nice ,facing the canal Unfortunately our room must be in the old section because to get to our floor 2nd floor, we had to take elevator up to first floor and walk around the hall way and walk up 19 steps to our room. So when you book maybe you can request room that you can take an elevator all the way up. Our friends who stayed on 2nd floor and 3rd floor can take the elevator all the way up. Again it's beautiful room and generous breakfast for €5. We will stay here again if we come back.

Another good stay at this hotel. So convenient for Piazzle Roma. I pre booked the fast bus from Marco Polo Airport which terminates minutes from this hotel. Welcomed back by the hotel receptionist as we had stayed there 5 years previously. We had booked a classic room which was comfortable and clean. The bed especially comfortable and very quiet. The breakfast can be taken in the hotel garden or in the breakfast room. Good selection too. The staff are so caring and friendly. It really feels as though they are part of a happy team. If you need to stay near the bus station, train station or are taking a pre/post cruise this is a hotel to recommend. Not far to walk to the attractions either. A very good stay.

We are currently staying at the hotel and it is a wonderful experience. From the friendly staff to the friendly cat in the beautiful courtyard garden out the back for breakfast - it's all good. The location is wonderful- off from the noises of the Grand Canal but still close to all the areas of interest. Close to the bus station, all public transportation- train trams buses and water taxis. Rooms are very comfortable especially the bed. Good breakfast and nice area out the front for a beer along side a canal.

We stayed at the Olimpia for one night at the end of our cruise. We chose the Olimpia because it is close to the cruise ship terminal and right where we would catch the bus to the airport the next morning. Our room was wonderful; large and modern, but still with Venetian charm. The staff was terrific.

Stayed 2 nights after a cruise. The room was beautiful and spacious. They upgraded us to a suite which was a great surprise. There were courtesy drinks upon our arrival and breakfast each morning was delicious. They offered a great variety to choose from.

This is one the most convenient hotels before of after a cruise. It is a 10 minute walk from the people mover with only one set of steps to cross. The front desk staff is friendly and very helpful. The rooms are recently redecorated and we were given a junior suite after having booked a superior double room. Great breakfast and a beautiful garden in the back of the property with chairs and lounges. Highly recommended.

We arrived a day early for a Mediterranean cruise starting in Venice. We wanted a hotel we could take a cab to. Olimpia turned out to be a gem. The taxi stop is about 50 yards from the hotel, across a small canal. The staff was welcoming and arranged transfer of our luggage to the ship the next day. The room was small (this is Europe) but more than adequate. The breakfast (included) the next morning was spectacular. We were a 3 minute walk from the vaporetto stop on the Grand Canal and we actually walked to Piazza San Marco in about 20 minutes.

As a guest in this elegant hotel, it was one of the best hotels in the world! There is so many thing to talk about from the staff to the room. As you enter the hotel you will find a solid marble floor that is spick and span to your right you will find a nice hotel employee that can help you check into your room. After you check another staff member in a green suit will guide you to your room. That is when the magic came in place. The room is vast and neat you will find one bedroom and then there is some kind of medieval door that leads you to another bedroom which has two sun roofs but be careful there are plenty of mosquitoes that fly into the room and, when it's raining don't open it unless you want to flood the entire hotel. The bathroom is very glamorous and spotless, The floors in the bathroom is made of marble and the normal floor is made out of polished wood. Unfortunately the room has different outlets with three little holes if you have a device that doesn't plug in then bring an adapter or buy one there which is about 12 euros.(Keep in mind that this room is at the top floor The Staff is very nice they say “Good morning” to you every morning. When you are done checking in a staff member will bring all your luggages up to your room. The lobby is clean and smells like grapefruit or something like that, the back of the hotel is a great scenery for photographers the flowers are scattered everywhere are they are vivid. There is a nice pathway that leads your either in a circle or a different building. That was pretty much my stay I loved this hotel. One more thing, There isn't a pool!

Located close to the train station and buses/taxis to the airport so you will not need to lug your luggage on the crowded water buses or pay for the expensive water taxis... Room is clean. Staff was friendly. Recommended!

Location is perfect, people in the hotel is very nice and the breakfast is top. If we go back to Venice, we'll be booking certainly again here. The rooms are very clean and there is not a single sound from outside, your nights will be very cool.

The hotel was selected by our travel agent as a spot near the cruise terminal/people mover. We easily negotiated our suitcases over the one small bridge to the hotel. What an absolute delight! It is located in a convenient, very quiet location ~ far from the madness of St Mark's Square. It is an adventure to walk the labyrinth of passageways and bridges from BW Hotel Olimpia to St. Mark's Sq. Manager Serena, Marta and Thomas were extremely helpful and friendly and eager to offer assistance whenever needed. Breakfast in their lovely garden exceeded expectations. Organic food was available, eggs, yogurt, bacon, sausages, fresh rolls and baked goodies ~ list goes on! The stewards, housekeepers and bartender were stellar. Highly recommend this quiet gem in a bustling city.

We booked Hotel Olimpia because of its proximity from the main train station and to the people mover. Our train was scheduled to arrive late evening and we would hardly have any time to explore Venice prior to boarding our cruise the following morning. Thus, we did not want to pay a higher nightly rate for a very brief stay. From the main train station, the distance is timed at less than 10 minutes. However, if you're hauling luggage, mind that you need to walk across a long pedestrian bridge followed by a smaller bridge. (If you arrive in Venice earlier in the day, you'll find more guys offering to carry your bags to/from hotel for a small fee). For the cruise-bound traveler, you only go over the smaller bridge to navigate your way to the people mover. Otherwise, note that the hotel is not accessible by vaporetto. Our room was on a higher floor and clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Check-out time is strictly enforced but you can stow your bags easily. Hot (American) and cold breakfast options were decent - we enjoyed the variety of local breads and pastries available. We would certainly consider staying here again for pleasure.

OK, so it is not in a fashionably central area, and it is not swish on the outside, but it is good inside! And there is a garden - rare in Venice, with breakfast outside in it an option. Our room (on the small side though said to be superior) was at the front of the hotel overlooking both a canal and, a bit further away, the bus station, but there was no noticeable noise. Interior seemed recently refurbished, clean, reliable new lift, and reception staff good. Vaporetto stop nearby, so all in all very convenient location.

Stayed here after getting off of our cruise ship. The hotel is very convenient to the public transportation from the cruise port. It is very charming and the staff could not be more friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. It is located right on one of the canals and it is a lovely place to have drinks. I would highly recommend this wonderful hotel.

Very convenient location for the cruise terminal. Easy to walk everywhere from this location. Very friendly staff, fantastic breakfast. Comfortable rooms. Just love the lemon cake. No need to catch a water taxi from airport. Plaza Romania is just a bridge crossing away. All transport from airport goes there.

The service was exceptional and the staff welcoming and helpful, which is not always the case in Venice during the high season. Our room was small, but comfortable, well-designed, and with a nice Venetian design touch. Although very close to Piazzale Roma, it has a nice back patio where you can have your breakfast in the morning, and it sits on a small canal.

If you are going on a cruise out of Venice this is a great place to stay. It's quiet in the room even though you are located very conveniently close to Piazzalla Roma. We had a late flight into the Venice Airport - took a 40 Euro taxi (on wheels) to the Piazzalla Roma and walked about 3 minutes with our luggage to the Hotel Olimpia. We stayed a few nights in Venice, then walked 3 minutes from the hotel with our luggage (we brought carry-on roller bags and backpacks) to the Piazzalla Roma to get on the People Mover to get to the cruise ship docks. Upon our return from the cruise we picked up a car from Tranchetto (right by the cruise docks) and then dropped the car off after 5 days of driving through Italy. You could drop your car at the airport or drop it back to Piazzalla Roma and then take a cab back to the airport (we stayed one more night in Venice since we had an early flight). Lots of options with this location - the Hotel Olimpia is clean, quiet, very polite personnel, very conveniently located and served a nice continental breakfast. We are a family of four and booked a quad room which fit everyone comfortably. We were able to hop on a Vaporetto to Murano, or up the Grand Canal with a 3 minute walk, and we also started our Gondola ride from this area. There is a small Coop market and restaurants located nearby as well.

We stayed here a night before our cruise and 2 night after. the hotel is a 3 min walk from the main square so coming from the air port and going to the cruise terminal is very easy. The hotel is clean and quiet with very pleasant and helpful staff. breakfast is very good and inexpensive.

The hotel is very well located, just on the entrance of this mystic city. Since there are too many bridges to find a hotel easy to access on Venezia was a must for us. We just left our car at one of the garages on the entrance and walk about 100 meters to the Hotel. the hotel is clean, elegant, just beautiful. It has a great garden where you can enjoy the delicious breakfast they offer. The staff is friendly. the room was spacious and amazing. We are very happy with our choice.

This hotel was located within a 5 minute walk from bus station and train station. It is on the opposite side of the island from St Mark's Basilica however this just allows you to take in all the sights either on foot or by vaporetta! The hotel is very clean. The garden is quaint and beautiful. The breakfast (included in your stay) is excellent! Staff were helpful and friendly and there is even a small bar attached that you can enjoy. Would definitely choose to stay again!

We stayed here prior to our cruise, two lovely peaceful rooms for our family and what a superb breakfast including Prosecco ! Such a lovely quiet location but with all the main attractions of Venice just a walk away. We so enjoyed sitting in both the pretty gardens where we ate breakfast each morning as well as having several drinks in the canal side seating area served by one of the friendly waiters. The reception staff were lovely and especially Roberto, what a gem ! On the morning of our cruise the transfer via the people mover just a short stroll away was effortless. We have stayed in Venice previously before a cruise but the location and facilities of Hotel Olympia were by far the best we have experience. We will certainly be staying there again and would recommend the hotel without hesitation. Brenda Weatherill

We needed to stay one night in Venice after arriving to Marco Polo and then move on to Punta Sabbioni. Hotel Olimpia proved to be an excellent choice at a resaonable price for this purpose. Location is great - just a hundred meters from the bus stop and the vaporetto peers. The staff was very friendly. The room was quiet and big enough. The breakfast was surprisingly good in the courtyard garden. As for disadvantages: the ceilings are very low in the room, there were too many mosquitoes.

The hotel is lovely with its 16th century style mixed with modernism. Location wise, I found it was the best as we were at less than 5 min walk to the terminal (bus, taxi, train) considering that one has to carry luggage up and down the bridges. The quality of the stay was wonderful, the staff is very friendly, speaks many languages, is resourceful and respectful. Visiting again, I would definitely go back there without hesitation. We stayed at Hotel Olimpia for one night after a Mediterranean cruise. The ship arrived early into port and as a result we were at the hotel very early in the morning. They were extremely accommodating and helpful in making us comfortable and holding our bags until our rooms were ready. They provided us directions and information about the city and off we went exploring Venice. Upon our return later in the day our mountain of bags were safely in our rooms waiting for us. The rooms were very nice, clean and comfortable. The air conditioning was welcomed after a long day touring the city. In the evening they provided us with recommendations were dinner which we enjoyed thoroughly. The hotel is well situated to public transportation making access to the hotel very easy. Highly recommended this hotel based on our experience.

A beautifully appointed small hotel located within a 2 minute walk of Piazzale Roma (which is where the People Mover to the cruise terminal is located.) The hotel faces a small neighborhood canal and surprisingly has a garden courtyard, an oasis where breakfast is served. I concur with the other reviews - quiet, well appointed rooms with nice bathrooms. The breakfast was delicious. The complimentary wifi worked well. The hotel staff is extremely helpful. The front desk person (Marta) is cheerful & accommodating. She loves her work & her city of Venice. The bellhop was so attentive that he did everything short on unpack for me. I feel that I received full value for the money that I spent.

We spent a night here before our cruise the following day. Arriving earlier than normal check-in time was not a problem and we waited in the beautiful garden area for a short time until the rooms were ready. The staff were extremely helpful and arranged a taxi to collect us the next day to take us to the port. We chose to explore the area around the hotel on foot as we have visited Venice before and wanted to get to know a new pert of this beautiful city. There are plenty of bars and restaurants in the area which suited us but it would be easy to walk or use public transport to reach all the main attractions too. The rooms were comfortable and well equipped. There was no noise from the street outside, allowing for a good night's sleep. Breakfast was plentiful with a good choice to suit all tastes. I would definitely recommend this hotel - especially if you are staying at either end of a cruise. The staff are all friendly and very willing to assist in making your stay a pleasant one.

Our trip to Venice didn't start out great. We'd booked a cruise and planned an extra day before to spend in Venice. The Airlines took that day (and night) away from us with jacked up flight delays. We spent that extra day (and night) waiting 11 hours in Heathrow Airport. It is important to point that out in this review because we didn't arrive at the hotel until 2:30am the morning of our cruise. We had called the hotel and told them what happened and they held our room for us. When we arrived, the night manager met us with smiles and showed us to our room. The room was exactly as the pictures showed, clean and well appointed. It served us well for the 3 hours of sleep we squeezed in. Breakfast offered many choices of both sweets and savories. The hotel held our bags for us while we did some "combat sightseeing" (It appears others did the same as the bags were racked and stacked--not the greatest time getting ours out from the back, but understandable--who doesn't want the chance to see more of Venice?) The location, which we didn't have a chance to appreciate the "night" before was perfect for catching the people mover to the cruise terminal and the Venice water taxis. Thank you Olimpia Hotel for helping us make the best of a rough and quick visit to Venice!! We will definitely keep you on the top of our list should we find ourselves in your beautiful city again!! :-)

Lovely hotel in every regard. The refurbished rooms are quiet, well appointed and a very good size. The bathroom is a generous size (only negative is the lack of bathroom bench space). The décor is traditional but nicely done. The public areas are also very pleasant and the garden area at the back of the hotel is a lovely spot. The breakfast was sensational! And all of this wonderfulness was matched by staff who were 110% pleasant, helpful and efficient. We ended up booking this hotel because of the location (we were coming off a cruise and had to get a very early flight a few days later so easy access to the airport bus or a land based taxi from Pizalle Roma was the key driver) and what a gem we ended up with. In terms of getting around in Venice it was less than a 5 minute walk to catch the vaperatto which travelled down the Grand Canal or walking no more than 25 mins to be in the key tourist spots. However there are numerous restaurants, bars, cafes, shops etc within a 5 minute radius of the hotel. If we return to Venice we will definitely choose this hotel again.

Hi. We stayed at the Olympia for 3 nights recently. It's very close to Piazza Roma. You can see it from the bus terminal after you arrive from the airport. I enjoyed it here because it's quiet, and you can get a good night's sleep. The hotel is clean and the breakfast is good. One night, I came home late and called the front desk to ask about a small shop that was open. I wanted to buy some fruit. The shop was closed but the older gentleman at the desk offered some fruit from the hotel at no charge! I expected an apple or an orange, but I received a whole tray of fruit!! That gentleman went out of his way to please a guest. I was pleasantly surprised. Thank you.

Booking a hotel in Venice was particularly tricky and required a lot of planning. First, we were a family of four so we needed a quad room, and choices are not as abundant as we would like to be. Second, it was a two night stay and we wanted a place that would have a convenient access to the both the ATV bus terminal (from the airport) and also the Santa Lucia train station. Also, being in the middle of the summer, a working AC would be more than a plus. Finally, some comfort items, like someone all the time in the reception, a luggage room (for sightseeing after checkout), and an elevator to minimizing howling luggage upstairs for four people were definitely pluses. The BW Olimpia meets all these requirements and we were more than happy with the choice. For the record, it was not cheap at all (Venice is not cheap) and it was not super fancy, but for Venice standards, it was like a four star hotel. Now to the review. First, a note about booking. This was one of the few instances where the hotel website rates/deals were not the best. We got the cheapest rate via booking dot com, which also offered a $5 per person buffet breakfast, which is a great deal. I suggest you look around, and the let the TA booking engine point to the best deal, and always compare to the hotel website. Probably the best thing about the hotel is its proximity to the bus and train terminal. We arrived at Venice by taking the ATVO bus ($8 euro per person - very convenient and fast with wifi on board) and landing at Piazzale Roma. From Piazzale Rome you can actually see the BW and have only to cross a small bridge to reach the hotel. Then, on the day we left, we need to go back to the Piazzale Roma, cross a long bridge (I think it is called Pte de la Constituzione) with about 50 steps and 50 steps down, then roll your luggage flat to the train station. A 10-minute walk. Hotel rooms are not big, but I thought we had enough space for 4. The bathroom was very well appointed and very clean. Shower head with good water pressure. A queen size bed and two sofa beds, very comfortable. Furniture is old, but then you can claim they are antiques. I was particularly indifferent on that. AC worked very well, very refreshing to be in the room. We bought breakfast and it was quite good. If the weather is good, you can have the breakfast outdoors in the patio/garden. Or you can eat indoors taking advantage of the AC. They have hot items (like eggs and bacon) but I preferred to stick to pastry, cheese, charcuterie, etc. Very friendly reception desk, they will be happy to provide tips for dining and how to move around. Since it is near piazzale roma, it was very easy to reach most places by taking the vaporeto (we bought a 48 hour ticket). A bonus: it happened to be my birthday the day we checked in and hotel send a complimentary bottle proseco (Italian champaign, since you cannot call sparkling wine champaign unless it comes from that particular region of France) and orange juice for the kids. A very nice touch. All in all, the hotel delivered all the things we expected it would, so I am giving it the highest mark. It was not cheap by any mean - for a comparison, the rate of the BW Olimpia was about the same as an all-inclusive in a highly rated resort in Jamaica, but then this is Venice, it was high season, and very few hotel met the criteria above. I am happy with the choice.

My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Our room looked over the garden and hence was quiet and picturesque. The room itself was beautifully decorated and the breakfast offered everything you could want. The hotel is situated on a quiet little canal and is close to the train station and only a 5 minute walk from the vaporetto stop. Would definitely stay here again. If arriving by train it is possible to walk with your luggage to the hotel however as you need to cross 2 bridges (one big and one small) I would suggest having a porter take your luggage as they do this on trolleys and then you only have to follow the porter and not resort to following directions and maps. Cost was €15 which we thought was reasonable for 2 large suitcases and hand luggage.

Clean little hotel, very helpful staff, great inexpensive breakfast. Close to bus and taxi, also cruise terminal. Some distance from the center, but very charming walks. As everywhere in Venice - accessible to water taxi. Prosecco in a morning. Try mackerel pizza around the corner: I was anxious but it was delicious

Spent one night there and cute comfortable hotel. Great location and rooms were clean well decorated and beautiful bathrooms. Breakfast in the morning was great, delicious pastries and coffee was to die for. Will definitely stay there when I return to Venice. Staff was so friendly and helpful.

We really enjoyed our stay here,5 mins walk from the train station.Our room overlooked the canal,the bus station was also just across a bridge next to the hotel .Clean hotel ,the staff were friendly a nice small bar area with tables outside overlooking the canal.Breakfast had a good choice of continental breakfast. Lots of nice restraunts nearby,2 right behind the hotel were good places to eat outside.5 mins walk from the train is over a bgi bridge wich is all steps! If you have big luggage and would struggle you might be better paying a porter at the train station,they seemed friendly enough and had big sack trucks.We struggled getting over the bridgeand we are pretty fit.

This hotel is really nice, upgraded but with a feeling of Venice. Right by a canal and a 8 min walk to the Train station and 5 min. Walk to the car rental. It is a little bit of a further walk to St-marks square maybe 20-25 mins. Walk and a 15 mins. Walk to the rialto bridge. It's a great quality price hotel. We LOVED IT! A 15 TO 20 MINS. Walk in Italy is nothing. You are really close to the dorsoduro area of Venice were it's beautiful and not so commercial as the rialto bridge, gran canal area. Where you will find great restaurants and not as expensive!

This hotel is fabulous as are the staff. The breakfast was the best breakfast I've ever had at a hotel. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous and the showers are great. Would 100% come back here. Personally I don't eat meat but the fish option was fantastic. There was salmon and Mackerel and it was delicious.

We arrived at the hotel very early after a cruise, but the kind and helpful staff took care of the luggage before the actual check in, so we could immediately start enjoying the marvelous city. Our room was simply amazing! Spotless, with the charm of staying at a 16th century building plus all of the contemporary amenities and a gorgeous terrace with canal view. The hotel has an adorable garden to sit and relax after a long day and a delicious breakfast...great location too! Thanks, Gloria and rest of staff! We spent 2 nights at the Olimpia Hotel and it was great. The hotel is beautiful and very quaint. The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. It has a great location with easy access to the train station and the vaporeto. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast is fantastic. We would definitely return on our next visit.

This is definitely top of the line when it comes to Venice. The boutique hotel in my opinion is extremely well designed from the get go. The hotel itself has an amazing atmosphere and design from architecture to the rooms. Dont miss out on this place if you are coming to Venice.

We spent two nights at the Olimpia Hotel and it was fabulous! The location is great with easy access to the train station, but most importantly, the facilities, the staff and the breakfast were all excellent. It's a beautiful reprieve from a hot day of touring Venice. The Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful at the hotel. We had even left postcards at the front desk for mailing and realized at the airport that we had forgotten to put the address on it! The staff found the card and wrote the address for us. Super service! In my opinion, the hotel deserves a 4 star rating. The rooms are beautiful and make for a wonderful sleep and rest. I would definitely return!

We stayed at this hotel in April for 5 days for our first visit to Venice. The beautiful hotel and the friendly helpful staff helped to make this holiday perfect. Our room was delightful and on the 3rd floor it looked out on to a canal and then over to the bus station but was surprisingly quiet. The shower was very clean and fresh and looked like it had been refurbished recently. The breakfast every morning was amazing, with everything you could want included, hot cooked food, pastries, fruit, cold meat, fish and cheese, cereal, juice, coffee, prosecco and more. We had a great trip and will come back to Venice one day and will stay at this hotel again. I would have no hesitation recommending this hotel.

My husband and I stayed here while in Venice. The hotel is extremely convenient to Piazzale Roma, where the buses drop off (including the airport shuttle that we took). It was only about a 2 minute walk over a small bridge to get to the hotel. The staff was extremely nice and very helpful and spoke English well. The hotel itself was gorgeous and very clean. The room was comfortable and the view our room had of the canal was breathtaking. The biggest draw of the hotel was the fantastic air conditioning that worked very well despite the July heat. The hotel is convenient to several small restaurants and shops, and the bigger attractions are only a short boat ride away. Catching the bus back to the airport was a concern of ours, and the proximity of the hotel to Piazzale Roma was a major draw. Within 5 minutes of checking out, we were on the bus. Overall, we would stay here again.

We booked two nights before and two nights after a cruise, we couldn't have chosen better. Lovely hotel, great location, absolutely spotless and such wonderful, friendly staff. A great place to stay. The little garden area is a total bonus and perfect to linger over breakfast. I'll be back.

We sifted from one hotel to this one after poor service. The lady at the front desk (I think her name was Selena) was extremely helpful, she spoke perfect English and helped us find a room. The rooms were clean, well set out and had a comfortable bed. This hotel is close to the bus station an a short walk to the railway station. Breakfast was amazing. The staff were all helpful and made our stay in Venice an excellent experience after a rocky start, would definitely stay here again.
