    « Needs refurbishing »

Advertised as an 4 star hotel, the Italian elegance is everywhere in this hotel. But it's also very dated (from the hallways leading to the old elevator to the breakfast area). The rooms are quite small for the price and the cramped bathrooms are in need of an urgent refurbishment. Breakfast was up to Italian standards with lots of pies and cakes. Unfortunately the coffee was far below par. There was only one machine with a excruciating waiting queu due to a tour group. The drinks pouring from this machine was Italy unworthy. On the positive side, the reception staff was very friendly and helpful.

    « Excellent customer service »

Staying on Lido we picked the Best western hotels. It is only a short distance from the boat taxis to Venice. The hotel on arrival looked like the pictures. The hotel is old looking and the furniture also very old. The lift upstairs small and narrow but worked well. We had a basic room which although small was ample enough for our stay. We had a tele but never used so unable to comment about the reception of the channels. Our room was very clean and warm with two single beds pushed together but very comfortable. The only complaint I had about my room was very noisy vents which room service told us couldn't be turned off even though we had turned the heating off and I'm the type of person that needs a really quiet room to get to sleep. To be honest I got used to it by the second night probably as quite tired from the sight seeing. I wasn't impressed with the breakfast as I don't eat carbs and for myself the choice was really poor but if you eat carbs there is ample choice. They did have scrambled eggs but not again cooked to my liking but think more how they cook it there. The dining room was too hot for us so we chose a table in the buffet area which was cooler. My only complaint was the tablecloth was dirty but not a reflection of the hotel. All the staff we met were lovely and helpful. We left our cases after we checked out and when we picked them up again really easy. Don't think I'd use the hotel again but only because I didn't really like Lido .

    « Good hotel »

This hotel is not going to win any awards and i do not agree by UK standards that is should be rated a 4 star hotel. However, the location of the hotel is good, only 5 minutes walk from the water taxi. Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. The room was small but this was ok for 2 nights. Hotel was clean and staff efficient. The transfer from marco polo airport is €27 return and takes roughly 1 hour. From lido to venice island it takes 20 mins and cost €10 for a day ticket. Be aware- a gondola ride is €80 for 30 minutes and in my opinion wouldnt show you much more than the water taxi does. All in all hotel was good, location and good and Venice is a beautiful city with great food.

« WELL LOCATED with a very friendly atmosphere for tourists »

This is a rather nice 3 star hotel which is located just off of the cross avenue central to LIDO. It is easy to find and perhaps 10 minutes easy walk down S. M. Elisabeta from the Allilaguna and Vapporetto Stops. It is very nicely situated on a pedestrian way where there are a lot of restaurants, but which is a quiet part of town. I have stayed at the hotel once but friends of mine stay repeatedly when they visit Vencie. The property is a bit run down around the edges, being an older mansion that was converted to a hotel I suppose....but it is clean and pretty with some very nice personalizations in the rooms like Trompe l'oeil on the walls and such... The staff are kind and helpful, the bathrooms and beds are clean, and the rooms I have seen were not tiny or cramped...but rather spacious for Europe and especially for Venice...each one being a bit different from the other with different features, like a window seat or something special. The hotel does not have an elevator as I recall (or it may have one that does not work), so you will have to carry luggage up the winding staircase....but anyway, as one should not be carrying big suitcases to Venice since there are no easy transits door to door, it is quite doable to carry a hand luggage up the steps. If you have problems, the desk can probably arrange for help for this, though there are no porters, per se. The breakfast is an arrangement of cold items with coffee and juice and all is plentiful but you must save calories for Gellato anyway. The rooms do not have stocked mini bars, nor do they have safes, but the desk will store valuables should there be the need for this. It seems to be the kind of place that people will return to, as many guests seemed to have been there previously.....but everyone is made welcome.

« Comfortable Room, Friendly Staff, Nice Place to Relax »

Located in a quiet neighborhood, but just steps away from restaurants and cafes, this hotel has a bar and a nice porch where you can relax after a long day of sightseeing in Venice. The staff is quite capable, and the breakfast was good. Our room had a tub instead of a shower, which was a little disappointing. When we arrived, there were only two bath towels, but they seemed to multiply each day until we departed.

    « I would recommend to anyone. »

Comfortable, clean and quiet room. Very good service. Very good breakfast. Pleasant atmosphere. The hotel is goog for families with children. Free Wi-Fi. Close to public transport - vaporetto. I would recommend to anyone.

« Quiet and peaceful hotel on Lido Island of Venice »

We stayed here in September 2016. We had a room on the first floor facing the front of the hotel. The area is very quiet and peaceful. It was nice to walk around at night and visit the nearby shops and restaurants. Our room was very large for European standards and the bathroom had been updated so that the plumbing was modern. This place has a small dining place mostly for the breakfast buffet. Their is also a small bar next to the lobby for drinks in the evening.

    « very good for travel&leisure »

The location of the hotel -5* (it's about 10 minutes walk to the beach). The personal of B,W.Biasutti (especially Kristina) is friendly- 5*. Breakfast - 5*. It'But the furniture... I think 3-* It needs in renovation.

    « Very good »

Everything was well prepared and clean. The staff was nice. The position of the hotel is very good - few minutes to the boot and to the beach. The breakfast was tasty. The room is clean and light. I can recommend it.

    « Perfect Location »

First stay in Venice and found this hotel to be a perfect choice. The hotel is located on a quiet street approx. 10 min walk (with bags) from the Vaporetto stop. The hotel itself is clean and the rooms we had were defiantly spacious. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice of meats, cheese and fruits.I personally had the best nights sleep for a long time mainly due to the quiet area and good beds/pillows. Just around the corner from the hotel there are several restaurants and bars but never heard any noise at all from these. The staff were friendly and helpful on all occasions.I would defiantly return to this hotel and the Lido which is lovely.

    « definitely not recommended »

We stayed in Biasutti hotel for 6 nights from 3. to 9. August. The experience was one of the worst in my life. Me and my family booked two standard rooms for the same price, but one of the rooms (number 8) was visibly smaller than the other. Definitly smaller than the description stated on the hotel website (it was probably an economy room). After making a complain we've been offered another, more expensive, room for only 4 days of our stay. While making a reservation in the hotel, we asked for the late check out, but on the last day of our stay that option was a suprise for receptionist. What suprise us was an extra charge from the hotel bar on the day we spent outside of the hotel! The worst incident of all was finding our laptop with broken screen just after the room was serviced. As advise by the hotel owner (Cristina) we went to the police station to report this accident (why??). The visit there was complete waste of our precious holiday time. Any attempt to get some update on the insurance claim was ignored by the hotel to this day.

« Just what we needed »

My friend and I stayed here as part of our ten day Italy tour. The room was very charming, small but enough space for us and had a lot of mirrors (we are girls and appreciated that we didn't have to share a mirror to get dressed or do makeup). The bathroom was bright and the window opened to a beautiful view (we were on the top floor). The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel staff was very nice, offered a map with best suggestions for traveling to Venice and back. We took advantage of the free hour bike rental and we got pleasantly lost while we discovered more of lido. The hotel is a mere five min walk from the main vaporetto station (water taxi) and close to the restaurants and cafes on the strip. Everything closes early (early for NY standards) and we were able to grab a snack after 2 am that was okay. Stock up on snacks and food for the evening cus restaurants tend to close early. We really liked the quietness because every place we been to so far was hustling and bustling busy, which we enjoyed but we were getting exhausted from the constant travel and sightseeing. So Lido was our nice beach break away from the busyness and tourists. Lido is a very family orientated kind of place. The beach is about a five mins walk and we got kicked out of the bungalow area, apparently you have to pay for the bungalow and then get to sit on the empty beach in front of it, vastly empty. So another few mins walk and the local beach is to the left. It was crowded but not too bad. Warning! My friend got stung bad by a jellyfish. We didn't go back in after that. Our stay was wonderful. It was comfortable and clean and everything was convenient. We felt very safe, and even walked on the empty strip laughing up a muck for no reason other than being happy at like 3 in the morning. Note: it's about 20 mins to st marks square, about 30-40 to the train station and if in doubt you have the trusty staff to guide you wherever you need to go. It's worth getting a vaporetto pass so you can travel at all hours and as many times as you want all through Venice.

« Fabulous hotel excellent location »

Fabulous hotel in an excellent location. Very close to the water bus stop and to the shops and restaurants. All locals very friendly too. Friendly staff and very clean. Will go the extra mile to help you out. Excellent choice of breakfast - all fresh. Only negatives were that we were given no direction with the breakfast buffet at all. Although it is obvious it would have been nice to have the process explained to us eg where to go, self or table service, timings. We were also a little let down that we have organised a bottle of celebratory prosecco to be in our room on arrival as we were staying to celebrate our anniversary. I had told my husband there would be somethings waiting but there was nothing there! I tried to go down to reception and ask about it but the ques were so long and the moment was then gone. Bit disappointing as I had gone to the effort to arrange this.

« Nice Hotel with cramped room!!! »

We did not research enough about Venice and ended up in Best Western Hotel Biasutti in Lido, Venice. Lido is a remote Island of Venice. It is very beautiful island with a beach, and clean streets with lots of tall trees. Only transportation to and from Venice or airport (in Mestre) is water taxi or water bus, which is time consuming and not cheap. We had a few heavy luggage and it was painful for us to carry into the hotel and from the hotel to the boat station and to the airport. Best Western Hotel located on a quiet street in a residential area. Hotel itself looks pretty form the outside. Our room was small and cramped. The bathroom was tiny also cramped. Towel hanger was sitting top of the butt washer, and towels kept falling into the butt washer bowl (gross!). Bathroom equipped with a not functional Jacuzzi tub. Another weird thing was 4oz wired size room keys, bothersome to carry. Some of the hotel staff were not friendly at all except a few front desk staff. Especially, English gentlemen were very polite, professional, and helpful. Breakfast selection was good, but no coffee or tea serving on the table. Everything was self-service, very wired. Beds are small, but comfortable. Another added good feature was laundry room in the vicinity, although, it is kind of expensive. This Hotel may be good fit for the honeymooners or someone likes to be secluded on their vacation, but not people like us, who wants to explore and spend most of the time in Venice. Next time we will stay in Mestre, Venice to avoid all the hustle we experienced on this trip.

« Fab location, great staff »

We were staying here for a few nights' R&R at the end of a cruise and having booked very last minute (due to our previous booking falling through) we didn't know what to expect. As it turned out, we had a great time. The room (203) was small but clean & comfortable and although the bathroom was quirky (retro would be a kind adjective!) it had everything we needed, including lovely toiletries. Just don't rely on the hairdryer, I was pleased I had my own as I would have been there all day! The real quality of this place is in the staff - they were all friendly, hard-working and nothing was too much trouble. They showed us where we needed to be on a map, recommended a fabulous restaurant and even lent us an umbrella when it rained. The breakfast was a lovely spread including all the usual meats, eggs, cheeses, cakes, pastries, fruit and yoghurts. The location is great - just a short walk from the jetty and a street away from the bars and restaurants. The public beach is only a short walk away too. The whole island is perfect for walking around and we hired bikes from the hotel one day (10 Euros / day) which were a great way of getting around, specially to the quieter beaches at the other end of the island. We had a great time and would happily return here. Lovely staff, great location, pretty site.

    « Beautiful, Quiet Hotel »

Loved this hotel! Beautiful terrace, nice rooms, and a great breakfast spread. A lot of food to choose from and pretty tables set up with beautiful china. It was on a quiet street with flowers and trees - reminded me of a small town in Germany that I often visit. Location - It was on the island of Lido, so you have to walk to the water taxi and ride that for about 20 minutes to get to the main island of Venice (15 Euro round trip). The water taxi port is a close walk to the hotel, and there are many restaurants and a beach within a few minutes walk from the hotel. Only complaint is that the air conditioning did not always work, and we visited in July when there was a heat wave. Sleeping in the hot rooms was somewhat uncomfortable. However, wifi was fairly consistent and the hotel was beautiful; I definitely recommend.

« Perfect Location, Friendly Staff »

Staff are very friendly. We got there during the night and the person working behind the desk was friendly and funny and very energetic. Nothing was ever a hassle for him. When we asked if there was any kettle in the room to make tea, he went looking for one straight away and came back with a tray with a kettle and everything we needed to make tea. He then walked out with me to show me the car parking and where to go for a late night drink and stuff. The location is perfect as it's just outside the main island with water buses passing every few minutes. 3 minutes walk to the water bus and about 5 minutes ride straight to St Marco Square. The rooms are very clean and the hotel is a nice place to relax with drink after exploring Venice. Things to note: - Bathroom is a little outdated and the shower cubicle is very small. - When travelling with car, get the no. 17 ferry from Tronchetto to Lido (last ferry is around 00:30, then starts again sometime after 3:00) - When leaving with a car, allow about 2 hours for the queue to get the ferry

    « 2 star experience »

I booked this hotel based on my previous good experience in Best Western in France.I made my booking of a superior room 3 months in advance.I put a request asking for a room on a higher floor and with a balcony. I never received any response that this could not be accommodated. Only to arrive and discover that not only was it not accommodated but we were given a room on a second floor with a squeaky floor, banging wardrobe door every time you pass, cluttered with tired looking old furniture, the decor was also old, tired and the bathroom very basic. After speaking to the reception we were moved to the 4th floor room, also with no balcony, however the change was huge, the room was better quality, refurbished and felt simply normal. Unfortunately the basics were not taken care of - the water pressure was extremely low, it took solid few minutes for the water to heat up and provide hot water - in a 4 star hotel! The toiletries were very basic and looked very cheap. The front of the hotel and dining room are old , dark, tired and they scream "please update me! I am advertised as a 4 star establishment!" Breakfast although big selection again cheap and mostly low quality - a poor selection of food which didn't cater for a broad range of dietary requirements. I do feel very bitter about this experience, because it was my birthday trip but also moreover that holidays are very precious and when you go away you want to have a There are many other hotels in the close proximity, so please save yourself a disappointment and stay somewhere else until Biasutti decides to bring this hotel up to date to match its rating of 4 stars hotel quality and service.

« nice hotel in quite neighborhood »

We stayed here for 5 days and really enjoyed our time! The hotel is just a few minutes from the landing pier in Lido. The rooms and the hotel were clean and neat. The staff was friendly and helpful. There are several small shops and cafes in case you'll need something. The neighborhood is quite and nice :)

    « Excellent location! »

The charming Biasutti is an excellent place to unwind in Lido. We have been coming to the Biasutti for the past 7 years and we love it! The staff is extremely accommodating and friendly. The rooms are classically decorated, clean and quiet.

    « Romantic weekend »

Wow !!! I can only describe our experience as a wonderful one. After booking this weekend stay with lowcost holidays that went bankrupt only the week before our trip. Christina the owner was very good to us on our arrival and reassured us not to worry about our room. The hotel was clean and our room was excellent,The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The breakfast was good and i like that it didn't finish until 10.30am for all the guests that like us love a lie in on holiday. The air con was silent and in full working order as some of the hotels i have stayed in over the years you have to turn it off due to the noise. Overall our stay was great and we will return for another trip sometime soon. Ciao and grazie

« Good location, clean and professional staff »

This is the second time in three months I got the opportunity to stay in Lido (Venice). This hotel was one of the highlights of this visit. With an excellent location, a very clean room (Hotel), a decent breakfast and welcoming staff, Best western hotel Biasutti was a big plus to our trip this time as a family. We will definitely pick it up again should we return to Lido one more time. Very recommended.

    « Excellent Gem »

Spent a day here before and a day after a Norwegian Cruise Line cruise. First, location is excellent-a twenty minute water bus trip to Venice. Second, very nice location on Lido island-one block from Main Street, short walk to beach, easy walk to water bus dock, and easy walk to fine and convinient resturants. Third, rooms while small to American eyes, were consistent with nice European hotels-comfortable beds, very clean, air conditioned, elevators. Fourth, wonderful full breakfast and hostesses in dining room will fix you a fresh cappuccino!! Fifth, the lobby and outer areas lend themselves to sitting and talking with others. Lastly, the staff was excellent! The front desk staff could not have been more helpful whether explaining the water bus system or recommending resturants or arranging a water taxi reservation for us-absolutely the very best! Cannot comment on price-our hotel was part of an airline ticket package.

« Relaxing hotel and surrounding area »

Having just arrived from staying in Florence and Rome, this was a great place to unwind and relax. Very safe and peaceful location. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The fine lady who greeted us upon arrival was helpful in suggesting local restaurants and suggesting the must sees in Venice. The hotel room was very clean and bathroom was spotless. We were pleasantly surprised that our room had been upgraded for some unknown reason. This was by far the largest hotel room we had encountered in Italy. The bed was very comfortable and room temperature was perfect. A very enjoyable stay. The breakfast was one of the best we've experienced in Italy. Only negative was riding packed water bus with luggage but this island hotel was worth it. We got a 24 hour water bus pass the next day which was a great way to see Venice and surrounding islands.

« Pretty on the Outside... »

I was not that happy with this hotel. The hotel is situated on a nice street and looks as if your staying in someone's home. However, our room, which was on the second floor, was cramped, and I mean, VERY cramped (our bed, plus our daughters bed, were all side by side). One evening, we ended up not having hot water to shower, which was actually ok, due to the fact the room was quite warm and that was with the a/c running! The a/c is not very efficient, so I asked for a floor fan and the staff, was like, "Whaat? But there's air-conditioning..." So I said to them, "Yes there is, but it isn't very good." The staff did bring a fan shortly after and it helped. Though breakfast was free, the staff (I called them the buffet nazi's!) would watch you... uncomfortable, as if to make sure you didn't take too much food. Maybe they've had problems with people off the street crashing the breakfast? Not sure what was up with that. As it was, the breakfast was decent, if you like pastries. I can't eat that stuff, so I was very limited. I would have sliced turkey meat and sliced cheese. One thing we could not do was bring back food to our daughter, forget it. Food was to be eaten there and only there. Basically, I could not wait to leave that hotel. There was no where to kick back and relax and it was uncomfortable. Oh, and the bugs... We had windows, which really didn't open or close well, so some flying bugs got in. That made for some hysterics - We screamed and then we laughed. But I'm sorry, when I pay $$$ for a room, I don't want flying bugs, or crawling ones for that matter, even if we are having a good laugh over it. Lastly, very spotty wifi. Fine on the computer, but very spotty with a phone.

    « A nice Venetian style hotel »

We travelled for a long weekend holiday here and were happy with the style of the hotel, with an ancient yet classy and a cosy feel to the place. The staff were not very talkative and spoke a bare minimum, his is including the breakfast crew. Our location was very good as we were out of the central Venice but 3 minutes walk away from Lido beach which we absolutely loved. We were able to go for regular walks and an occasional run in the morning. It was very peaceful and only a few people about, which was the best! The main areas to see in Venice is easily accessible via the water bus which was very cool and it isn't too far from the hotel. The hotel is in a quiet residential area which is slightly odd but worked out well as it was peaceful. Would definitely come back to Venice next year. The only thing we found weird was that we were told about the city tax right before we were about to leave (once we had used all our cash pretty much) no mention of it on arrival which we would have preferred. Also, we would have liked an outside seating separate from the smokers which wasn't very nice. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay very much.

    « Nice Week »

We had a great room which overlooked the street, also a small balcony great for sitting out with a glass of wine. The room was very nice had everything we needed apart from cups for making a hot drink (there was a hospitality tray) Breakfast was a bit basic but adequate lots of sweet stuff staff were fine and the barman was great and bar prices compared well with local bars all in all I would stay there again

    « Game of 2 halfs »

We had done some research prior to booking, we new we would have neither a sea or lagoon view but this is reflected in the price. however the photos of the entrance and the lobby of the Hotel do not do it justice, it is on a leafy site street less than 5 minutes walk from the water bus station, We had a room at the front with a small baloney room enough to sit out with a Campari sprits and watch the world go by, breakfast was a bit basic. having stayed at another Best Western hotel on Lido I had great expectations for breakfast, that a side the staff were friendly and helpful. We had a kettle and hospitality tray in the room but no cups and despite my best efforts I could not obtain any though out our stay. The reception staff were a bit hit and miss but that could be a bit of a language barrier, the Gentleman how ran the bar was a star. other than the cups issue I have no complaints and would happily stay there again

    « Highly Recommend »

Just checked out of the BW Hotel Biasutti this morning and after my wonderful experience wished to write a review. Stayed at the location for three nights. Originally was two but opted to stay a third night which was accommodated no problem by the desk staff. The hotel is in a very good location on Lido and 1/2 a block from shops, restaurants and other amenities as well as a 5 minute walk to the water transports. My room was immaculately clean and serviced daily. Very quiet area with no traffic noise. Breakfast room was warm and inviting. The food selection was excellent and all fruit, pastries, meats and cheeses were fresh. Fortunate the days I was there the weather was sunny and warm so the patio doors of the breakfast room were open and the wonderful smell of flowers from the garden infused the room. Desk staff were very friendly and possessed reasonable english skills. Enjoyed my interactions with them very much. Highly recommend this location. For my next trip to Venice will certainly hope to stay here again. Well done!!

« Wonderful hotel with friendly staff »

This hotel is just a short water taxi/bus away from San Marco on Lido. Wonderful neighborhood with shops, restaurants, grocers, and gelato. The reception staff is very friendly and professional. The breakfast was amazing and the wait staff outstanding and polite.

« Relaxing stay on the Lido »

Have just returned from a four nights in Venice in the Best Western Biasutti and it was definitely the right choice for us to stay on the Lido. If you're after peace and quiet this Best Western is well situated in very pleasant residential back streets, but close to lots of bars and restaurants and only a 10 minute slow walk to the boat terminal in one direction and to the excellent sandy public beach in the other. This former villa property has 43 rooms and plenty of Venetian character including a very pleasant outdoor terrace area to the front of the hotel. We had a standard double room which some would consider dated but I considered to have old school charm, especially the high ceiling and the free standing large wooden wardrobe. Being south facing to the front of the hotel the room was quite dark, but there was plenty of available lighting in the room and we were lucky to have a double aspect room with an east facing bathroom that had a large window that gave plenty of additional light. The bathroom itself was small but functional with an efficient shower unit. The bed was a large double but made up of two singles, which wasn't too much of a problem. The room was air-conditioned but the temperature was fixed and not controllable from the room. The breakfast was fairly standard affair of the usual bread, croissants, sliced meats and cheese with a very small hot food offering that became less exciting as the days went on. But the display of available cakes did change on a daily basis and this was the thing worth looking forward to. As was eating them in the very airy and bright front conservatory section of the breakfast room, if you were too late to get one of the three available tables on the outside terrace that could also be used for breakfast. The service levels were generally very good and friendly, with the slight exception of one of the desk staff mentioned below who I think I may have alienated a bit when enquiring about hiring one of their private beech huts, by declining to take the offer to utilise one at 90 Euro's for the day. But they restored my faith by freely lending additional beach towels at no cost so that we could utilise the nearby excellent public beach, where an umbrella and two sun loungers can be hired for 18 Euro's for the day. There is a nice little bar and lounge area on the ground floor, but the bar shuts at 10.00pm , so we never actually made it back in time to use it and the hotel free wifi worked well and efficiently all over the hotel. The hotel does also hire bikes at a reasonable cost and this is a very sensible option for exploring the Lido , as it is as flat as a pancake. All in all we had a very relaxing pleasant stay at the Biasutti, and I would not hesitate to utilise it again if I get the chance to visit this wonderful city in the future.

« Characterful hotel in verdant residential setting »

I would recommend it. Characterful villa style hotel, giving a sense of place. Peaceful location in verdant, mainly residential road in easy reach of water taxis, restaurants and beach. However, while I don't need the receptionist to be my best mate, I did find one of the male ones rather perfunctory. The Lido location is also preferable to negotiating the throngs of people on the main island and no narrow steps/bridges to lug suitcases about either. Room Pleasing, spacious, high ceilings, welcoming and characterful with good storage. The bed was a zip-link type kingsize, so could improve on comfort but ok. TV in room but never turn it on when on holiday, so no comment. En-suite facilities Decent size, neat and clean with good shower and bidet. Soap and dual purpose shampoo/shower gel supplied. Bring your own conditioner, shower cap and body lotion; although I believe reception can supply some commodities if needed. Ubiquitous fixed to wall curly cord hairdryer in the bathroom. Hotel designers in general, please note, when styling hair, a humid environment is not helpful! Breakfast Self service buffet style. Pleasant breakfast room. Reasonable choice; does the job but not very inspiring hot options. Bit disappointing to find mainly tinned fruit rather than freshly prepared choices. There was one bowl of one type of cut fresh melon, but when it's gone, it would seem that's it. Otherwise, there are some apples. Apart from other things, lots of cakes and pastries which is more the Italian style.

« A friendly haven from the crowds »

We are only 2days into our 5 day trip......and we are so happy to find a oasis in the lovely venice province.....the chaos of venice.....the crowds.....makes this hotel a cut above others.......go see the sights......come back to lovely rooms.....smiley staff......everything a special holiday should be....this hotel Dec has it all.

    « Mostly ok »

The best thing about this hotel is that it is located on Lido, the "beach island" just a small vaporetto tour away from the busy Venezia centre. All in all this hotel is just simply ok; - Rooms more or less clean but a bit worn and outdated, some mold in the shower cabinet. - Air condition not working in our room, but just opened the window at night as it is was quite cold outside. Might just be that it is not available until high season. - Some lamps not working in our room. - Cleaning was performed after 3 pm several days, not so nice if you want to go to the room after lunch to relax and maybe shower before going out. - Breakfast ok but not continental. The apples and oranges were quite wrinkly, bruised and old. Don´t put too much into this, just have some scrambled eggs and a nice croissant and have a more filling lunch :) - Fitness room/gym is 1 treadmill, 1 bike, 1 elliptical and 1 multi-purpose machine. No free weights, mats etc. Did only check the treadmill which was not working so I went outside for a run instead... - People at the reception were nice! In total the hotel is ok, but personally it is a bit overpriced for this standard.

« Venice without the Crowd »

This hotel on the island of Lido is a must if you wish to stay in Venice. Short Boat ride from all that Venice has to offer. Hotel is picturesque in peaceful neighborhood. Short walk to Harbor and great places to eat and shop.

    « Quiet Area »

We started on the opposite end of Lido which was a 30.00 euro taxi ride from the water bus. Well that would get a bit pricey going back and forth. We tried to walk it but for those in their 50's and 60's it was a long walk with heavy backpacks. So we changed to this hotel. Very nice and helpful staff. And the best part, there was an elevator :) The hotel room was clean but older and the view was ok. A small balcony. Now the shower, well it was tiny. (There is no way my husband would fit in there. We actually removed the same size shower from our home) On the way to the water to catch our water bus to Venice, there are several spots to grab a coffee, etc along the way. Pleasant folks along the way as well. On the waterfront there are several spots to eat.

« Beautiful Hotel on Quiet Street »

The hotel is charming with a very friendly staff. The rooms are typically European small, so if this isn't your style, request a suite. The lobby and bar area are beautiful, and there is a nice outdoor patio. The inclusive breakfast was excellent.

    « Older hotel »

Away from the hustle and bustle of Venice. Small rooms in the Lido. Near restaurants. OK breakfast buffet. Easy walk to the water taxi with eateries along the way. A great place to stay at more reasonable rate.

    « Fantastic »

Contacted this hotel after I booked to confirm I had booked what I was really wanting for a surprise break for my wife for her birthday and was helped by Cristina to make sure what I needed in the room was there and asked for a room with a view. It's quite a trek from the airport needed to take the number 5 bus to the bus station and then boat 6 I think to the island of lido the hotel was quite easy to find in a well kept area. now lido is just a short trip by water taxi from the main island but would defiantly recommend staying on lido then the main island. Check in was fast prompt and very professional with the gentleman going through the local map what boats to get you to the major tourist sites, boat times and indeed what parts of the city to see !!! which was very impressive. We went up to the forth floor room 402 to see our room which Cristina had chosen for us and it was fantastic, I have seen some of the other reviews on here but our room was gigantic a double bed with a view over looking the island with a spa bath, separate shower room, safe, and more then enough draws and curtain rails for a 4 day stay. Yes the TV channels are all European but I did find a couple of English speaking channels but it's Venice the city of romance and history, we couldn't wait to get out and start sightseeing, the rooms have fully stocked mini bars and the prices where good for the service and not the normal inflated prices. Breakfast is served in a very cute style garden room coffee was served from a proper coffee machine with choices of juices breads, ham, cheeses, yogurts, again all where a good quality, we where served on all our breakfasts by either a blonde haired waitress or a dark haired lady but found both to be polite, friendly and willing to assist. We didn't eat in the hotel as you are so spoilt for choice in the local area but dined in a pizza/ restaurant five minutes from the front door where the food and beer was delightful, ( it was actually the best pizza we found in our 4 day stay) and you are only about ten minutes from the main road with bars and places to eat on both sides, there is also a private beech about 15 minutes from the hotel that is well worth the visit. We used the bar facilities at the hotel every afternoon after our days out served again by friendly staff the tea coffee and beer was delightful. The hotel is very good value for money and we found the staff more then helpful on all occasions. We thank you all for a great stay and look forward to staying again.

    « I loved this place! »

How refreshing it was to come 'home' to this quite little boutique hotel. After spending the day in Venice with all the noise, and tourists, it was just nice to relax on the patios with a nice glass of wine and good conversation with other tourists. I really enjoyed my room, although it was tiny. I could barely move around with my suitcase there, but it had everything I needed. I was amazed at the tiny furniture! it was really cute. One of the things I really liked was the location, right in a residential area, surrounded by beautiful villas. There were gorgeous flowers and trees all begging for visual attention. It was only a short distance to the water taxi to carry you off to Venice, and there were all sorts of restaurants, markets, bars and boutiques along the way to distract you. I felt like I could live on this little island forever! The hotel staff was wonderful. They have a beautiful breakfast area, with views of the gardens outside. The food was better than most, and plentiful. The only downside of breakfast, was one of the staff. She had a really bad attitude, and made no attempt to hide it. By the third day, I was more amused than offended, but not everyone was! I would come back here in a heartbeat. I don't think I was there long enough.

Paid for deluxe room but given standard room. Receptionist told us no other room available. Not happy! Supposed to have terrace, not even got a balcony. Mini bar mainly soft drinks had to fight to get two bottles of Prosecco. Not a good start to our trip!

    « Lovely quiet area »

Visited here recently 20th-24th September after spending a hectic week in Rome so was a lovely , relaxing end to our holiday. The lido is a great place to stay as it is close enough to the hustle and bustle of Venice on the water bus,but far enough away to enjoy some peace and quiet. The hotel is very nice , we were given a room on the first floor with no real view but my husband asked if we could pssibly have a room with a view and we were given one on thw top floor with a small balcony and a lovely view . It was very spacious with a shower room and bathroom with jacuzzi bath. The staf were all very pleasant , our only small criticism would be that they should maybe do offer some food in the hotel other than breakfast , however we braved the heavy rain on our last day and there are plenty nice restaurants nearby.

« What a lovely place to stay »

What a great place to stay if you are looking to visit Venice. Only a short walk away from the water taxi point that takes you over to San Marco, this hotel is ideally situated on the Lido. Much quieter location with a lovely warm and friendly feel. A sandy beach is only a few minutes walk away. Whilst the room was a little dated it was clean and a reasonable size. Breakfast didn't have a huge choice, but it was a continental breakfast, and the food that was on offer was good. A little too many cakes and sweet things on offer, but they did taste good! A number of restaurants in the area that only take minutes to get to. I wouldn't hesitate to go back to this hotel again if we returned to Venice.

« About 40 years past its best and 30 years since it needed an urgent renovation »

on the upside the staff are largely perfect, (apart from the one who isn't who if she hates people that much shouldn't be in the hospitality trade), very friendly, very pleased with themselves and proud of the beauty and amenities of the Lido - logistically the Lido is little bit complicated, you have to use boats quite a lot and the reception people understand that this is a local peculiarity and explain everything to you before you even have to ask, except the weird one (tall, youngish Italian lady, really doesn't like eye contact, writing things down, booking taxis, reading the computer, using any kind of greeting and if forced speaking in anything louder than a very tortuous whisper). There is no food worth having at the hotel, but within minutes there are fabulous cake and coffee shops, some very very nice pizza and ice cream, all considerably better value than the EUR 15 breakfast buffet on offer at the hotel. I think the management have cracked a very tricky trick re pricing, the Best western is a little bit cheaper than the middle, but a lot more expensive than the bottom, and it has a brand name, the thing is we were at a wedding with a large crew of guests across the Lido, many staying in considerably cheaper hotels with more space, better hospitality and less ancient furnishings and facilities - for 2 we spent nearly a thousand bucks for three nights in a tiny tiny room, with a banging shutter, a shower so lacking in water pressure it was hard to understand if it was on, 892 TV channels, 850 not working 41 in Italian largely selling vegetable chopping devices and one in French to qualify for the 'International' TV available claim - the cleaners I assume were working in several hotels, because they didn't seem to be able to start work until late afternoon....aaargh just don't go

    « Lovely, Friendly Hotel »

We went as a family group of 3 rooms and thought it was lovely. Staff were brilliant especially when my mum thought she'd left her Engagement ring there and they turned the room over to find it. It was in her bag so so very sorry for the inconvenience but thank you so much for looking! Lovely quiet location, round the corner from the ferries, the main street and the beach. Don't let anyone put you off over the size of rooms, this is the same in all of Italy and who cares about the TV channels, you're in Venice! Breakfast good too and we'll priced. Thank you for a fabulous time
