Sure Hotel by Best Western Esplanade

Please be advised that you have to check in a the best western plus in town. Do not go to this property first, save yourself a trip. There is no staff at the hotel to check you in or answer any questions/concerns you may have during your stay

This was our first time staying at a Sure Stay. The gal on the desk, Veronaka ( sorry for the wrong spelling). was very friendly and extremely helpful. Room was spacious and clean, only complaint was the bathroom was soooooo tiny. You could be sitting on the toilet and have a foot outside your room! That is how close the toilet is to the doors. Make the room another 3 feet smaller and give it to the toilet. Kitchen is very small, only 4 tables of 4, and a large table across the back wall, seats 6.. There is no way you can have everyone sitting, as you can not pass through. The food area is even smaller. They need to enlarge this whole area .

We arrived late Checked in to sure stay hotel in higginsville Missouri after a 10 hr roadtrip room was clean good night sleep. Morning breakfast and hospitality from Rosalie can't be beat. Very knowledgeable good conversation friendly and once again very very good hospitality.highly recommend a stay.

Great quality hotel, very practical check-in and check-out. It has a space with free coffee and an environment for you to have your meals. The price is right, and the hotel is located close to many restaurants and supermarkets, as well as being a few minutes away from the central station.

Booked a room for 5 nights since other hotels in town were fully booked. This hotel is located close to Train Station and to city centre. You do your check in in another hotel since no one is working here, and there is no breakfast. The room is dated and small, but was clean when I arrived. Ventilation is bad and its warm in the room. No cleaning unless asked for! Hair dryer not working, bed lamp not working. No coffee or tea in the room. So yes it is cheap but for a reason........

The room was ok. What was disastrous was the ridiculous airport minibus pickup. First of all, they do not have their own bus but rather share a bus used by another nearby hotel. Aside from the fact that they have to leave people behind at times because of excessive demand, it is especially stupid that Sure Stay Plus is only written on a sheet of paper on the bus door. If you look at the big lettering on the bus you would think it was for the other hotel. Thus a 1-hour plus wait to get to the hotel. Couple that with a front desk that does not tell you to look for a bus labeled for another hotel instead of Sure Stay Plus. This was an extremely aggravating experience and I wish I had paid a little more money for a decent hotel company. If this is Sure Stay Plus, I would hate like hell to experience a Sure Stay Minus.

No A/C. No elevator from parking. No handles on window. Had to get handle from reception. Paid lots of money to stay here and was disappointed. Room feels Old and needs renovations. Windows appear very old, maybe from the 1970s. Other than that the staff were friendly and helpful, although they could do nothing to help with the complaints. No Minibar or refrigerator in room. Bathroom was ok. The only reason I don't give a 1/5 is the friendly helpful staff and the room was actually clean. The only thing good about this hotel is the staff, the rest is awful.

I stayed here back in June over a long weekend. Great hotel with very helpful staff, comfortable room and good breakfast. The hotel is situated within easy walking distance from the train station and close enough for a choice of restaurants, shops and bars. I will stay here again!

Clean, worm , nice personell, good international breakfast(not everybody eats pickeled fish in the morning:) ), cheap and safe parking- 6 euros, check-out at noon is a plus, if in need free tiletties are available. I would definetely recommend it! Nicolae Bara

Calm place close to the city center. Car parking available. The room was ok, altough the bathroom felt a little timeworn, but it was clean. Good breakfast and a quite nice canteen with light colors and big windows. I had a good night sleep here.

I stayed a couple of nights for business. The hotel is located on one edge of the downtown. Since Västerås is a small town it is only 5min walk to the middle. The hotel is styled most likely 20 years back, but still fresh. The breakfast was above average. They have a small bar in the lobby

Last stated here back in 2014 and not much has changed in 3 years. Rooms are comfortable and have plenty of plugs for electrical items. Might sound an odd comment, but if you're travelling you have a few electrical items which need charging at the same time. There are kettles in the rooms now rather than having to go to the breakfast area for a brew. Breakfast area has had a makeover and looks good - more tables and chairs than my previous visit. Continental breakfast was plentiful and was fine. Had a couple of problems though. Curtains didn't fully close as there was a big gap between the pair of curtains on my first might. I like a dark room to get to sleep. Went to reception to see if they could resolve the problem - bit comedic trying to sort it out with a bedsheet and then the promise of an eye mask which turned out they didn't have one !! Resolved the next day as an additional 3rd curtain was put in so no complaints to rectify. Toilet seemed to be continually running / dripping, but closing the bathroom door sorted that one out. Would I stay again - possibly as it's on the work hotel list. If you're on a budget then it's well worth booking as it's actually reasonable value for money.

We've heard that this would be a pretty good hotel. Ok, its central, we have a balcony, the linnen was clean, room well sorted and all that. But dear lord the beds.... The beds were all worn down pretty good, the matrass in the bigger bed was really knobbly and the thinner matrass on top was... Yepp. Thin. I have herniated discs in my neck, so guess how I felt when I woke up. The garage is as usual located underneath the hotel, but the parkingspace per car is tiny. You can not open doors at both sides, so the passengers have to get out before parking due to the little space left there. Sorry, but we're not staying here again. The staff is great though, breakfast is also good (but not for vegans so much...).

At the beginning the room seemed to be pretty okay. Our room number was 311 and it was a business room. We had a wedding within the family. Service was okay at first. Breakfast was good too. Until we realized that we have been robbed. We where downstairs eating breakfast and at that time we got robbed. My girlfriend naturally called the reception when we realized all this. Their answer was ; "We are terribly sorry and we can't do anything about it." It must have been some one from the inside, because our door was locked all the time.

Not super great but served us well: good location, nice neighborhood, friendly service, good wifi, clean room. We had a room with a balcony on the top floor and liked it very much. Ten points for free range eggs and iKaffe in the breakfast!

We came to Västerås to participate in an expo at the Aros Congress Center nearby. Arrived in the evening and were pretty hungry. Fortunately the hotel is very centrally located and only one block away from a pedestrian street with plenty of restaurants to choose from. The hotel does not have any parking space though, so you better hope you'll find space on the streets outside. Parking there was free in the evening until 9 o'clock in the morning. (Check the signs, might be different from street to street.)

Stayed at a standard room in this hotel with my wife. Descent price and nice room. The hotel could use some freshening up. If you are looking for a standard room I can recommend it. If you are looking for a more romantic stay you should look for another hotel. The location was very good. Close to restaurants and shops.

Stayed before a few years ago and it's very basic. Friendly service - limited tv ok room which was clean. Breakfast was good. I would stay again if other places are full. Close to the centre with plenty of restaurants near.

Stayed 03DEC - 04DEC. Check in was easy, we did have a car (parking was an additional 60 SEK). The room itself was a little dated, and there was a strong sulfuric smell coming from the bathroom however the hotel is in a good location and walking distance to a lot of restaurants and shops as well. There is a sauna and steam room on the lower floor - it can be a little confusing as it is unisex in one change room. Buffet Breakfast was included, the staff were very kind and the food was delicious. You can tell the hotel and staff are making a conscious effort in improving the level of accommodation which is definitely noted.

Excellent service, very accommodating staff. We had a large group of 37 teenagers and parents and they were beyond helpful and friendly. Rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was outstanding! I will stay here again!

We booked a couple of rooms in the Best Western here for a hot July night. The hotel is well located next to the city centre and, for a small fee (currently 60 SEK), it offers a local car parking space for the first few takers. We agreed and got city centre parking until mid-afternoon the day after we checked in. It allowed us to explore central Vasteras on foot the next morning. July must be a time when visitors go out of town. Those who were there were Swedish and German: older couples and young families. The whole place had a faintly eccesiastical air: courteous and friendly staff, quiet corridors (with floors smelling faintly of wood polish), subdued colours, stone stairs. Not a showey hotel, but I liked it. The bed, shower and breakfast were all fine and so was the wifi. What the hotel lacks, however, is air conditioning. Usually I have issues with air condition (sealed rooms, very dry etc). Here I found the opposite: hot rooms where one could open the windows a bit. Our double room had a desk fan to help alleviate the effects of the heat. We paid £49 for single and £61 for a double from a hotel comparison app and think we got a great deal for the money. There are one or two flashier hotels in town, but the Best Western functions as a high level three star and I'd very much recommend it.

Company provided hotel. Rooms ok, but very hot in summer. No airconditioning. Bisides from that the rooms are clean, friendly staf, ok breakfast. Prices was low, but I think that was company rates. Can recomend for business, but not for romantic weekend :-)

We only stayed one night, after our wedding, the staff were all super friendly and so helpful. They fixed up our room and prepared a wedding surprise with the decorations. They went out of they way for breakfast by preparing a special meal for my wife. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to my friends.

Nicely located, only 5 minutes walk to the Aros congress center, innercity center, with many options of nearby restaurants, and 10 mins dragging luggage to the train station and bus stop to Arlanda airport. Roomsize is standard, space enough to spread a 31" suitcase on the floor. There is an iron and small pressing board attached to the wardrobe. Never seen anyone dining in the restaurant for lunch and dinner, but the breakfast buffet is okay. There is a bowl of apples on the coffee table next to the elevator at lobby level that you can grab during the day and in the evening, and for someone who came in at 2am in the morning, it was quite a bite :)

This hotel is just OK. It was fine for a one night stay on a business trip. Stayed here as our first choice was not available. Nothing special but not terrible either. Parking is available underground and the front desk can help with that upon arrival. Great location to easily walk to any number of restaurants. WiFi is very fast - and free!

Even before a welcome the reception staff asked for immediate payment, cash or card. Not a very welcoming attitude, many hotels around the world make a print of your credit cards and perhaps check an id and settle the costs on check out. I guess someone took off without paying before ?? The rooms are fine and quiet even located in the center of the city. Business rooms are somewhat larger and more expensive. They offer a little more room space but no other extras, no fridge, no coffee or tea making set. Soap and shampoo are in wall-attached containers in the bathroom. Breakfast was fine with a good selection of both some hot and cold items. Very limited number of newspapers if you wanted something to read with your coffee. Parking is a problem, very limited space on the street and you have to "fight" for it. They charge you 10 USD per night for the garage which is very cramped and limited in space.

This hotel is located in the centre of Västerås. On availability you can park your car in the garage under the hotel. The hotel itself is fine. The rooms are okay, well furnished, and what you can expect for your money. In fact I only have one remark: at the breakfast the bread tasted stale. That's a pity because there was more than enough variety on the breakfast buffet.

Hotel in downtown, few steps out of the Cathedral of Vasteras. All the facilities around. Manager is nice and helpful. Many restaurants around, a mall, 2 gym stations. I didn t try the room service. Rates are ok.

Typical best Western, goodish standard. This hotel was nice and quiet, even though town centre. In Sweden the staff are friendly and helpful anywhere in my experience. Parking underneath the hotel ( best to pre-book of course )

Stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of May. The location is perfect, surrounded by bars, restaurants and very close to the train station (10 min walk) Breakfast wasn't particularly my thing, if you like the continental stuff then you will be fine. Great coffee machine though! Reception staff were very friendly indeed, very chatty, I liked that! There is no restaurant in the hotel, although the staff will happily order a take away for you, no problem! I would definitely stay here again!

If you for some reason have to stay a night or two in Västerås, the Esplanade is a reasonable option. It is a no frills hotel centrally located in Västerås, but the rooms are renovated and clean, the beds are comfortable, and the staff is nice and helpful. WiFi is free and easy to use and the breakfast is ok. No surprises here but a decent hotel in the center of Västerås. Next time in Västerås (if there will be a next time) I would consider to stay here again.

The hotel is affordable, at the center of the city, serves good breakfast, provides free internet access, and has hospitable staff. Further, the room was spacious with two beds, sofa, and dining table. It had a kitchenette. However, the beds did not have blankets/quilts; at least, I couldn't find them in the room. Further, the closets had hangers but not shelves; kinda strange. So, overall a good hotel that can be better by addressing the above two minor quirks.

I stayed one day and one night here in Esplanade hotel and it was so good: the room had a kitchenette so that I could cook something for the dinner, there was a couch, the bathroom was complete with soaps and hair dryer. The room was big enough for two people! We went downstairs where we could have hot drinks and some cookies for free. Then we tried the relax area and it was amazing, we were alone and it was all for ourselves. The sauna was so cool! In the evening we enjoyed swedish TV that's in English so we had no problem with the language. Breakfast was cool too: there was every kind of cereals, milk, plus brioches, jams, eggs, bacon...The hotel staff was very nice, they gave me pans to cook in the room. Also, I forgot my ID card there and they called me and sent it home. I thank you so much and if I will be in Västerås again I will come back.
