    « Clean and comfortable »

A little out of town, but only a few minutes drive to the centre. Spacious, clean and comfortable rooms. Very good breakfast included, free parking and wifi. Plenty of shopping and eating possibilities around. No building sites any more around the hotel, we found the area to be very quiet. Would gladly go back again if in the area.

« Nice place to stay when you travel by car »

We stayed in the hotel for two nights visiting Kvarken and Vaasa, If you have a car it is great location - easy access by car, quiet location, free parking and better price than downtown Vaasa. Hotel offers good buffet dinner (15 € per person) - very helpful as there is only little places to eat in walking distance. Unfortunately this option works only on weekdays. On weekend you may either go by car to Vaasa (about 3 km) or use one of pizzerias around. Do not use Mamma Mia across the street, Koti Pizza in a supermarket at the crossroad is much better option. There is a supermarket on the other side of crossroad (about 100 m), and a bakery in the hotel building (entrance from the street). Breakfast is good but nothing spectacular. Sauna in available until 22 - nice when you return to the hotel after walking all day.

    « great value »

Our room was very comfortable for a multi-night stay. It had a private sauna, sitting area, kitchenette and two comfortable single beds. Free wifi, average breakfast buffet, and underground parking. Across from a K-supermarket. Near downtown Vaasa. We had a car, so we found the location to good for sightseeing. Maybe it was because of the location, but we thought the price was very good value. Our only complaint was the odor in the bathroom -- it may have been coming from the sauna room. Fortunately, the sleeping and sitting areas smelled fine.

« Wow! Great experience here! »

I believe this is the largest hotel room in Finland! We had a HUGE bedroom, a sitting area, and an enormous bathroom with a private sauna big enough for 5 people! Not to mention a kitchen with sink, stove, refrigerator, stocked bar, ironing board, all the glassware and dishes you could ever use. The breakfast was delicious. There was a billiards room and a fitness center and another sauna downstairs...on and on. We were there in July so I guess we got a fantastic rate since everyone was on summer holiday. We had a car for trips to town center, Old Vaasa and Edven's Path.

    « Not too bad »

First impression from outside is good..then you go in and you see a very lonely place! women looked annoyed by any questions we asked don't recall any smile!one blondy young girl at reception in the morning was so sweet and helpful instead! Inside it's very old fashion..but rooms weren't too bad and breakfast was nice..you could make your own pancake straight away! :)

« Out of town, needs to be refreshed. »

The room is OK, decently clean, and a kettle is provided. Bathroom smelt bad, needs to be cleaned more thoroughly. Elevator did not work in the morning, had to get out of the building through a side door. Fitness room is in the basement, looks creepy, with all sorts of stuff stored in the corridor.

« Good Hotel, a bit out of town »

We booked a room in this Best Western because it offered a little kitchenette which is great when you are travelling with babies (and a dog). The room was clean and quite big, large enough for children to run a riot. The kitchen had most of the cooking utensils needed for a family meal. The room we booked was also dog friendly and it showed no sign of previous dog stays (dog hair or damaged furniture). To sum it up, it was exactly what was advertised and what we needed. We also had booked with breakfast included which was also satisfactory. The only minus in the pretty picture was that the hotel was undergoing some refurbishments while we were there and for that reason the restaurant was closed. Not that it bothered us much, but it would have been nice to have been warned when we booked.

« Excellent hotel that met all our needs »

The Best Western Vallonia is one of the best hotels me and my wife have stayed in. Our room was spacious and clean and we had five nights of undisturbed and refreshing sleep. The WIFI internet connection was one of the fastest and most reliable we have ever had in a hotel. The breakfast was first class with everything you could possibly want. I sampled all the cold meats and cheese and took a generous portion of eggs, sausage and bacon followed by yogurt and cereal but I had to skip on cake for the sake of my wasteline. Every weekday the hotel has an excellent buffe lunch at a very reasonable price. There was also a buffe in the evening at a slightly higher price. Parking was free, which reduced the already very reasonable cost of our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. We will be staying in the Vallonia next time we visit Vaasa.

« Buffet restaurant after a visit to the theater »

I haven't stayed at the Hotel Wallonia; I had only been at their restaurant. When I go to see a theater play I often go to a restaurant to afterwards. This time I choose Wallonia. They had a buffet with a tasty pork dish. The staff is friendly.

« Think what you need and want, if you stay in Vaasa area »

I spent two days on a business trip in Hotel Vallonia. This hotel is not my kind of hotel. It is old fashioned, I do not like their food and it is middle of nowhere. It seems that some people like this hotel, when I read Tripadvisor about Hotel Vallonia and there were quite many diffrent kind of guests at hotel. I like to stay at hotels **** and better. Hotel Vallonia is far from ****. In Finland we do not have stars for hotels. I would give *** for Hotel Vallonia for the good points. Good points are: rooms are big and clean, staff is very friendly and it is easy to get to Vaasa. My customer chose this hotel for me. Next time I am sure I will stay in Vaasa, where there are better hotels and city life. I do not know how much it costs here, but I hope it is cheaper than in Vaasa. That would make sense for example for families to stay here in big rooms.

« Superb quality with affordable price »

Luxurious room, friendly staff, overall very cosy accommodation and peaceful location just a short drive from Vaasa. One of the best hotels I've been to. Highly recommended! Public transit might not be very good or reliable, so it's probably easiest to come by car.

    « good place but. »

Hotel is nice. Staff is helpful and nice as well. Rooms are big and have almost all facilities available. But i suggest hotel only to those, who have their own transport or afford taxi as hotel is almost 5 KM away from the city and public transport is not helpful. otherwise place is full of nature and breakfast is good as well
