« Not the best in Tucson »

This is a converted older property with good and bad points. The renovation is new and the rooms are standard Best Western décor with all the amenities. The part to be careful about when booking is the room descriptions. A king studio suite is really just a standard sized room with the only difference being a loveseat instead of an armchair. Doesn't add much to the room since the TV is fixed wall mounted over the foot of the bed so you can't watch it from the loveseat or the desk chair. The bed is comfortable like most Best Westerns. They have a free breakfast like all Best Westerns but the hotel wasn't designed for it. The breakfast room only has 8 tables inside so seating is minimal but you can eat outside weather permitting. Really overcrowded. The room corridors are narrow so the housekeeping carts block them most of the day and you have to move the carts to get a suitcase past them. The good part: I had occasion to contact maintenance and they responded quickly and were friendly and helpful. Can't really recommend this property even over the other Best Westerns in Tucson. As a Best Western Diamond level member don't expect the usual on arrival.

Location was very convenient for trip. Hotel was very comfortable. Features made stay pleasant. Would stay again. Enjoyed breakfast area and selection. Might suggest that try to vary breakfast slightly if possible to offer variety.

    « Great Place »

This is my favorite place to stay in Tucson. The bed's are super comfortable, the property is really nice, and the rooms are always clean. The staff is amazing. They're always friendly and super helpful.

« Advertised one price, charged another »

I stayed one night. I booked at one rate and at checkout, the bill was $20 more. They simply applied a different rate than what I initially booked at and I was unable to prove the error. There was nothing I could do but pay it. And tell others about it on TripAdvisor.

« quick stay near rental property »

Very nice staff, limited features, decent breakfast. Could improve with more healthy choices (bacon, eggs, waffles, pastries are a good starts but don't work for vegans or heart patients. Soy or almon milk, egg whites, non-red meats might be good.

    « Very Nice! »

A group of us stayed here for a scrapbook weekend. We stayed in a suite that had a bedroom, kitchen and sofa sleeper. It was very clean and spacious. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was great, as it had waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns, cereal and much more. It's definitely an older hotel, but still very nice. We had a great rate on the room. It's also in a convenient location. One negative was the wifi. We had trouble getting in and we would lose connection often. I ended up using my cell as a hot spot so I could use my laptop. I would recommend being prepared for that. However, they do have a desktop for use in the lobby.

« Wonderful stay at this Best Western »

We spent 4 nights at this hotel, enjoying the pool, hot tub, excellent breakfast and even a cocktail hour! The facility had sandwiches and entrees available and was just across from popular restaurants with discounts provided by the hotel. It is situated on a major route, which made it easy to access the Rellito Park, where we were performing.

    4
    « A nice weekend »

The price was good. The bed comfortable. Staff was helpful. Breakfast included many choices. The same menu every day. When we are in the area we will probably stay again. The restaurant next offers a discount if you show your room key.

    5
    « A great Value »

Very nice facility and nice, caring people. Hot breakfast, workout room and complimentary happy hour! Courtesy business office a plus! Name brand coffee and gourmet creamer really added to the experience.

« Tucson Foothills Best Western »

The hotel is very comfortable, it provides for a nice stay. The suites are clean, the service is good. The location is close to U of A, which is convenient, close to shopping and restaurants. It is a very good value.

« Excellent service and a great room! »

Very comfortable room, bed was wonderful, very quiet, good hot breakfast. Front desk staff was fantastic! Mariam was extremely helpful finding our Best Western number and setting up future reservations. Ramon and Mariam were extremely professional and courteous. We will be back next month.

« Good place to stay. »

Overall it was ok. Staff is friendly and courteous, that is a plus! I had requested a bottom floor due to family member being handicapped and upon check in, we were placed on second floor. Family member struggled going up and down the stairs. Looks like all Tucson lodgings were sold out everywhere for the weekend, if I would of found an easier access room, I would of been willing to have forfeited the nights stays and found a more accessible room. Carpet Tile transition tape upon entering our room was lifted up, very dangerous and could cause a person to trip and fall. I did notice that there is ongoing renovations in rooms.

    2
« Old hotel - clean, but needs improvements. »

Everything was ok. Hotel needs a lot of improvement. PJ´s restaurant smelled like an open sewer... not nice if you want to have breakfast there... Rooms are very clean, that´s great! but everything is extremely old, some light bulbs weren´t working, coffee machine was old but functional. Toilet seat was loose. Good costumer service at check-in. There´s a lot of noise... you could hear everything from the room next door.

    3
« An OK stay for the price but it could be better »

This hotel is very reasonably priced. My room was nice and big. The pool area is filthy and the parking area needs cleaning. The staff are very friendly and the breakfast is above average. It is close to the universtiy and near restaurants. I might return. Good value but they just need to focus on cleanliness of outside area.

    5
« Spend Less. Get More »

Visited Tucson during the 'off season' This hotel a great value for an extended stay. Close to PGA National Golf Course. Golf reason for the stay and travel. Many good places both local and major chains are close by. Shopping at major retailers within a ten minute drive. Couple miles from the main freeway in Tucson, this hotel is tucked into a really nice corner north of downtown. I will stay at the hotel again soon!

    4
« Good value for money »

Friendly, efficient check-in staff. Clean room & good breakfast. I did not see any elevators but lots of stairwells so access to the upper level was reasonably easy. The outside area seemed a bit grubby with various stains & cigarette buts lying around - I guess they clean once a day but not more often than that. All in all I was happy as this hotel is good value for money & well-located.

    5
« an oasis for the weary traveler »

A clean, quiet oasis for the weary traveler. Powerful shower, fluffy white towels, huge comfortable bed, fast internet... even decent coffee in the room! Fast, efficient check in. The pool was clean and refreshing and the complimentary breakfast went well beyond the normal cold cereal and burnt coffee. Would definitely stay again.

    3
« Lots of Stairs, no elevator, and few ramps »

This Best Western is quite nice and clean, but we were unable to obtain a handicapped room that was also pet friendly for my wife's bad knees, so she had to suffer the stairs to the 2nd floor. This was interesting since nearly all of the guests we encountered (including a tour bus full that stayed overnight) were older travelers. I didn't personally see any children during our 3 night stay. Something else I found interesting was, that over our 8-day trip around the western states, and stays at multiple Best Western hotels, this was the only one that their clientele had caused the management to feel the necessity to warn guests on placards in the rooms, that if any towels, sheets, blankets or comforters (of which there were none used) were found missing, that guests would be "sold" the missing items for the prices listed. When I inquired about this at the front desk, I was told that, yes, thefts of these common guest room items was frequent enough that they had to start the practice of charging guests for them! On the plus side, a very nice Village Inn restaurant was right next door, and they give a nice discount on meals if you show your card to them. While we were there, the dog-walking chores fell to me, since my wife wasn't able to negotiate the steps that often. The hotel sits next to a partially paved road that intersects the main thoroughfare, and this area is great for pet walks. On the other side of the wall from the hotel (behind the facility) is a large area that from many angles resembles a beautiful southwestern desert garden, filled with desert cacti and other flora. Alas, from the walking path in this area, looking towards the hotel, the appearance is that of an impoverished 3rd world country, with piles of trash of every description littering the landscape. I've included photographs of this area, of both the beauty, and the wretchedness. This badly trashed appearance made me very reluctant to walk our dog behind the hotel during the nighttime hours.

    3
    « Motel with age »

Old motel: No elevator. King bed location in the room was a bad location. One light in bathroom out. One took its time to light at times. Breakfast on the other hand was excellent. Internet was excellent. Noise level was also acceptable.

    3
    « Maintenance / Dated »

This could be a fantastic hotel if someone showed some TLC. There were maintenance issues that were annoyance, noise issues in the presidential suite and the website needs to be updated. The grounds are nice, the pool and hot tub were nice, although dated. Happy hour, breakfast, etc. are great amenities but the product is not worth the price.

  • 1
    « Dirty and gross! »

Just gross overall. Dirty bathrooms, dirty common area behind the breakfast building, dirty pool and pool area. The staff could have cared less about anything. "Food" during the social hour reception was popcorn and broken potato chips-no joke. What a rip-off.

    4
« Great hotel for the price! »

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the last 5 years, it has always been my first choice for return visits. Friendly staff and nice accomodations. My room was very nice and the bed gave me a good nights sleep. The Jacuzzi was nice and hot but the jets were not at full function. Breakfast was lacking as far as the staff being able to keep items stocked but the food was good and so was the selection. All in all our stay was very enjoyable.

    5
    « Ya! »

Good place to stay. Comfy beds. Clean bathrooms. There's a pool in the middle of the property. The complimentary, hot breakfast is located next to the pool. Food is good. Place is conveniently located to other businesses. Staff is very helpful too.

    2
    « Breakfast ran out at 8:45AM »

If you want to eat get there really early otherwise you will be left with the scraps. Early as in no later than 8:30 because if you get there at 8:45 the food is gone and no more is served. Note breakfast ends at 10AM. Also plan to use one of your towels to put under the door to keep insects and other things (dog poop - yes dog poop) out of your room when you sleep at night. It was a nice surprise to have to pick up dog poop from inside the room first thing in the morning.

    2
« Very Dated Decor and poorly maintained property »

We were very disappointed with this "Hotel". I used quotes, because it really is a low end Motel with décor and furnishings that appear to be from the 80's and 90's and haven't been well maintained. The pool was in poor repair and did not inspire us to swim. There were cigarette butts strewn about the property, and the overall feel was low end. They advertise as having suites but our wetbar suite meant that it had a small sink and a 2 burner cooktop next to the bathroom. We couldn't have used the cooktop without going out to buy a pot or pan to cook as there are no dishes, pots or pans, or silverware in the suite. So it is there for show only and so that someone can click off a cooktop as a feature on some list trying to make this property seem nicer than it is. At least one other site rates this "hotel" as a 3 star property. Don't believe it. You will be disappointed if you stay here. On the good side, the staff we interacted with were pleasant, and the room, although dated did seem to be clean.

    « Foothills Best Western »

The Best Western Foothills is our choice when we visit Tucson. It's convenient to about everything in Tucson but far enough out to be quiet and relaxing. The social period, breakfast and amenities are very nice. The employees are very accommodating and knowledgeable about the area.

    4
    « Value Hotel »

We selected this hotel because it was reasonably priced and it was in a convenient location for us to visit friends in the area. We had ample room for the several days that we were in Tucson. The room was clean and comfortable. We had no problems except for the WiFi, which did not work properly in the room. Nevertheless, the WiFi in the hotel lobby functioned efficiently and was fast. The management was aware of the problem and were trying to fix the problem.

    4
« nice hotel, excellent breakfast »

There was construction going on the day I checked in. We were given a room next to the area they were working on. I called the front desk after a couple of hours and asked how long the work would be. They assured me the work would stop at 7 pm and resume the next morning at 9 am. That was acceptable to me and it happened just that way. The room for the price was very nice. The airconditioning was good and quiet. The breakfast was good, plentiful, and fresh. You have the option to dine outside if you want, but there was more than adequate tables inside. They stocked the containers often. Very good meal to get the day started. Overall for the $52 I paid for the room, it was a very good hotel. I would stay again without hesitation.

    5
    « Great Value »

Stayed here while moving my daughter, a UA student. A little far from school but hotel is in a nice area. It's clean, affordable, free breakfast, free wifi. No complaints. Would totally stay here again.

    3
    « Great room, but . . . »

The room was perfect. From the cleanliness to the bed everything absolutely 100% perfect. Probably the best room in 50 nights over the last year. The social hour and breakfast also excellent. However, several guests had loose dogs. One took his two dogs for a dip in the pool. An employee WATCHED this happen and did nothing. Another on a multiday stay had her dog run wild. When this guest was reported to the front desk the clerk acknowledged there had been several complaints. Yuck. The pool itself had clear water, but you could write your name in the grey scum covered tiles. The general manager stated he had received no complaints about dogs. Seems there is a communication problem the the motel.

    « staff very friendly »

Stayed here two nights, very friendly staff and the rooms are clean. no problems with.room. breakfast is really good has many thing to offer like eggs hashbrowns and yogurt and happy hour has lots to offer. would definitely come back every year

    « ALWAYS A GREAT STAY! »

I've stayed at this hotel numerous times since it has opened. Born and raised in Tucson, and not far from this location. It has ALWAYS been a great stay. Nice rooms, PJ's is good, but not fancy, standard buffet fare. Great restaurants very close by, I know, been frequenting them for decades it seems. Have to click solo this trip, but great for couples, especially jacuzzi suites.

    5
« Consistent value and comfort »

I know my stays here will be quiet and clean and the breakfasts will be plentiful and varied and prepared onsite by folks who enjoy what they do! This older site is being further renovated and updated and continues to be very popular with a variety of guests who appreciate the cleanliness and value in rooms and the grounds. The Village Inn cafe offers guest discount and the food is good and the pies tempting! Highly recommend this Best Western and the VI

    2
    « Dirty & Unkempt »

Filthy hotel outside the rooms. Carts full of trash parked everywhere. Carts full of dirty linen parked outside along the hallway where there are rooms. Stairwells, alcoves, hallways, pool area PJ's pub area, etc. all filthy needing a thorough cleaning, sweeping, butts picked up, etc.

    1
« Bedbug crawling on pillow »

After it bit me. Left after first night. Noisy inefficient air conditioners, BW needs to review this property. Location is good, restaurants nearby. Shuttle service. I have always found BW properties reliable until noe.

    « A Great place to stay!!!!! »

Try it out you will not be disapointed! Excellent Staff, very professional & friendly!!!!!!!! My wife & I love this place and always stay here, when we visit Tucson!!!! Simply the best 'Get-A=Way', We found!!!!!

    3
    « Return visit »

Been here before, truth is it was better the first time. 2 for 1 at the bar and free cooked to order breakfast helps though. Get a room in the front building, parking is terrible in rear buildings, small spaces and little room to turn around. I will stay elsewhere if I can't stay up front. And the in room coffee is awful, I think the coffee maker never gets cleaned.

    4
    « Recent Stay July 2016 »

Recent stay in Tucson, Arizona. Not in room much during daylight hours.Air conditioner was not cooling down room properly when I retired for sleep at 8:00 P.M. Too exhausted to change rooms. Awoke at Midnight for good internet service and room was still too warm. Great front desk staff during check-in and check-out. Great Airport Shuttle Service and Driver !!

    2
    « Better values elsewhere »

After waiting 45 minutes in line to check in, we were shown to our non-smoking room that smelled of stale cigarette smoke. When we found the tennis courts we had called to confirm were available, they had no nets. Employees seemed mostly intent on doing exactly what their job required and nothing more. Rooms, however, were clean.

    3
    « Just fine hotel »

This Best Western was a little below average compared to others I have stayed in. The hotel was sold out, and when I checked in at 10pm on a Friday night, there were several guests in lobby and only one employee to help guests. Rooms were fine - nothing fancy. The staff in the breakfast room were very helpful, but the room was packed and very hot - would have been nice to have a bigger breakfast space. Hotel seemed clean and all staff were nice and helpful.

  • 4
    « Excellent value »

I have stayed her about 6 times always with about the same experience. Comfortable beds good location and clean. Their pool is well kept up and is very nice. They serve a complimentary breakfast. A lot of properties offer a piece of stale toast and a cup of cold coffee. This place is excellent. They have eggs, sausage, hash browns, biscuits and gravy fresh waffles, and more. Everything is fresh. My only complaint is that the bed is inches from the A/C. If the bed was moved it would be more comfortable. Prices are quite reasonable. I'll be back.

    5
    « always a great time »

we come to this hotel cause it is always nice, clean, great breakfast and happy hr and it's close to home for us. we love being close to places to eat and to buy things if needed. the hotel has always been a nice place to be at and we usually recommend it to our friends when they need a place to stay.

    1
    « Bad Choice! »

I have to say, I have never had a bad experience at any place reviewed well by my fellow Trip Advisors....until Now! The hotel staff were nice, and tried hard. The pool was shut down....never told why. The first room I was given, the one I reserved for my solo Stay-Cation, included a Jacuzzi tub, that was disgustingly covered in other's hair! The fridge in the kitchen was wide open, and not cold. The wiring under the stove counter was hanging down, and looked very hazardous. The whole room needed a scrubbing and updating. Loaded my things back into the car, and made a second trip to talk to the nice front desk clerk. Next room I was given had no Jacuzzi tub (I did after all reserve that), and had bugs in the bathroom that I have never seen before. I live in Tucson, and I still don't know what they were. In addition, the mattress cover was filthy. Back to the front desk, and there were no other rooms to be offered according to the front desk clerk. The place was hopping with people, and the outside walks were filthy. All of this at 930 pm. Lucky me, I was charged nothing for my experience. Don't even want to drive by the place ever again!

    5
    « Just a relaxing private stay »

Excellent amenities and room location which allowed peaceful, private quality time for relaxation and option of pool and other services without additional time or waiting necessary. Location was accessible to all features or desires within Tucson offering accessible transport and nearby restaurants and grocery, etc.

    5
    « exceptional »

The BW Foothills has become our favorite place to stay when in Tucson. The location, the beauty of the foothills, and the quality of the hotel all make it an exceptional stay for us. It proximity to several of the biggest malls in Tucson make it a must for the traveler who is shopping. The locations convenience to restaurants, shopping, and the stunning beauty of the area make it a great place to stay.

    4
« The best value and comfortable room »

This is the best place to stay when we visit Tucson. The staff is helpful and very friendly. The beds are very comfortable. The room is clean. It is showing its age but they do a good job with the upkeep. The free breakfast is very good. Not very many hotels offer eggs, biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage, and waffles as part of the morning offerings. Overall this is a great place to stay.

    4
    « Convenient Location »

close to the places I needed - medical, shopping. Clean and the wet bar was nice to have. 20% discount at Village Inn next door. Patio bar closed early so did not experience this amenity. They do give you a couple of drink coupons upon check in

    2
« No Room at the Inn »

We stayed at this hotel once before with no issues. The place was clean and quiet, and the staff very professional. Unfortunately, the second time was not so pleasant. Once the weekend hit, the hotel was overrun. The pool area was jam packed with so many people, there was no room in the pool or a single chair to sit on. There were glass beer bottles, kids diving and doing flips into the pool, food and garbage everywhere. The pool party went on from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m. both Sat. and Sun. We complained 3 times and nothing was done. After 10 p.m., we saw 2 carloads of people leave the hotel. The day we left, we told the onsite manager what had happened, he was rude to us and made excuses, saying it was hot, so everyone was in the pool. Hotel management seriously lacked in ensuring the safety and comfort of the guests. We will not stay there again because of this.

    4
    « Third stay »

June 24, 2016 was my third stay at this motel. Stephanie checked me in and was first rate! She had to answer several phone calls during he process and I was very impressed with how friendly, calm and professional she remained! An asset to her employer! I hadn't been in my room long when I received a phone call from Meghan (sp?) at the front desk just checking to be sure everything was satisfactory with my room. At that time the only minor thing was the desk chair was quite squeaky & she said she would let maintenance know. Within minutes a maintenance man was at my door. After spraying and making sure everything was tightened, it still squeaked so he said he would bring a replacement, which he did in a very short time. My other 2 stays have been the previous 2 December's so it was nice to find that the a/c worked great! The facility had been undergoing a lot of renovation during me previous two stays. The room was clean and nicely decorated. I generally have a hard time sleeping comfortably in beds other than my own but all three times at this facility I have slept great! The beds are very comfortable and that rates high with me. I met up with family there but had my own room and being alone, another important factor is feeling secure in the room. There are the two locks on the door along with a peep hole. As my room (101) was a corner room at the back of the property, I was also pleased to find locks on the windows where they could be opened but not far. The rate could not be beat and they honored a $10.00 coupon they had given me at the end of my December 2015 stay, which sweetened the deal even more. Breakfast is quite good and offers several protein choices so it is not all carbs. Great waffles and there are TWO waffle irons. The downside is the breakfast room is quite small and it was very warm and stuffy even with the ceiling fans. I had to keep using my fan to get occasional relief. This trip we managed to beat the crowds by minutes so we did not have to wait for a table. There is outdoor seating by the pool and on the side of the breakfast room but the pool was being heavily used and being June in the desert, it was hot & humid outside. There is also a Village Inn right next to the property that offers a discount by showing your room key. They are famous for their great pies and their hot chocolate is wonderfully rich and sweet! We have plans to meet up at InnSuites again in December and I look forward to it. It is also easy to get to off the I-10. Lots of nearby shopping as well.

Pleasant staff, nice room with refrigerator and microwave. Close to shopping and sightseeing.Free Breakfast with lots of choices was great and nice Social Hour with free drinks and snacks. Would recommend it as a very nice hotel.

    « Mostly good experience »

Stayed in presidential suite. The hotel mgr was very made sure that we were taken care of. Due to some cleanliness issues we had with previous stay. We did have a small cleanliness issue that we were able to take care of ourselves. Empty shampoo bottle on the floor in bathroom and tub needed wiped down (soap residue). Other than that the room was very nice and clean. We love the beds. They are very comfortable. Breakfast has always been good. Actually needs a larger breakfast room when the hotel is full. Not enough room inside or out. Nice landscaping, pool.

    5
    « Awesome! »

Love this place! The room is super comfortable and the air conditioning is ice cold. Which is wonderful when it's over 100 degrees outside. It drops down to 60 degrees. Awesome! They have a happy hour from 5-6:30 where you get two free drinks, and they have appetizers available.

    5
    « Awesome Staff »

The staff is awesome here. Everyone is so helpful, quick and attentive. From the person at check in, the lounge/bar staff, the person who cooked breakfast, the security guard and the room attendants. The hotel is very clean and well kept.

    « 54th Wedding Anniversary »

My wife and I stay at hotels and resorts on a regular as part of our vacations and business travels. This experience at the Best Western Inn Suites at 6201 N. Oracle Rd., Tucson, AZ 85704 was exceptional. We were celebrating our 54th Wedding Anniversary. The service by every staff member we encountered was personal and exceeded our expectations. From the time we arrived till the time we checked out our stay was flawless. We will continue to use this hotel every time we have a need in the Tucson Region. We would highly recommend this hotel to ANYONE who appreciates personnel service and value.

Great place to stay. Close to my Tucson Office. Many food choices within 1-2 miles of Inn. Great bed. Newly redecorated room, clean carpet great pillows too. No road noise made it's way to my suite. Excellent value.

    « Great all-around experience! »

The staff was professional and courteous. The breakfast bar offered a nice assortment of options. The facility was very clean. The ambiance of the hotel itself is terrific! What more can you ask for when searching for a "home away from home" when you are on a business trip?

    « loved my stay »

Loved the room, super quiet area, close to my doctor's clinic, easy access. The room was clean, bed was super comfortable, did not hear neighbors, breakfast was warm and had good options. Very good stay and I felt safe and comfortable in the area.

    « Amazing stay »

I stayed for get away with my kids. The say was great, had a great night at the pool. Very kid friendly, staff very friendly. Will return when we come back to Tucson. I've always been a best western fan and this hotel is one of the reasons why.

    « AWESOME Hotel »

This Hotel is amazing with many complimentary amenities! I would definitely recommend staying here! The Social Time and Complimentary Hot Breakfast were terrific and there was ample seating for everyone. When we requested additional towels and pillows they were delivered right away.

    « Conveniently located »

This hotel has everything you need. It is conveniently located, rooms are clean, pool is clean, has a workout area, tennis courts and many different restaurants close by(within walking distance). The beds are comfortable and that's a big plus for me and my family. Rate was $62 per night.

« When visiting Tucson, we will always stay here. »

This hotel employs courteous, professional people. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The property is lovely with plants and flowers. The pool was wonderful. We also enjoyed the late-afternoon happy hours and the morning hot breakfast. We will always choose this property for our vacations to Tucson.

« Comfortable but very noisy coming morning!!! »

Something must be done about the extremely noisy wheels of housekeepers carts against tiled corridors floors!! The resulting cacophony was very annoying and awoke my husband and I at a number of intervals over our two night stay. As all hotel corridors are external and situated directly along windows that are less than a foot from guest's beds, this situation makes for constantly interrupted sleep! If you don't mind being awoken very early, might not be a problem for you; however, if you would like to sleep in a bit, forget that idea!

« Our families had a great graduation weekend! »

Fantastic full breakfast! Nice rooms with refrigeradors, microwave, iron, blow dryer, nice television. Wifi was not strong. The pool and jacuzzi are nice. Hotel located in the Catalina Foothills of Tucson.

« Lovely place to stay. »

Upon our arrival (a group of nine) we were warmly welcomed by the staff at the counter. Rooms were of a comfortable size and clean, although some rooms have been upgraded others are still in that process. Restaurant staff were also very helpful.

« Decent hotel with good breakfast »

We stayed at this hotel when we visited tucson for a conference. The rooms were decent. The location is good and within a short driving distance from restaurants and stores. The staff were helpful. They have a seperately area for breakfast and has good options. There is staff at the breakfast section who constantly replace items and talk to customers to check, which is very good. Overall, a good value for money.

    « Great staff »

I always like to stay at Best Western they have a good breakfast and my rooms are always clean. This was no exception, excellent staff. George went out of his way to make sure I could get a quiet room. I was enrolled in nighttime programs at the Kitt Peak Observatory, and wanted to get some sleeping done during the day. I would definitely stay there again

« Nice place, friendly staff »

Good experience. Stephanie at front desk and Stefan at breakfast were awesome. Quiet despite renovations in progress as we were out most of the day. Close to restaurants and mall. Would stay there again

    « Construction »

Call ahead and reserve a room away from construction. They even worked on Sunday. Promises made, promises not kept. Nice happy hour, the same breakfast every day. It was okay, just exactly the same every morning. Long breakfast time, small eating area if too cool outside.

    « Excellent value »

Beautifully updated rooms, free wifi, full hot breakfast and happy hour. Lovely pool area and a very convenient central location. Excellent value and a very affordable price. I've stayed here many times and highly recommend Best Western Inn & Suites.

Clean newly remodeled, excellent location and very nice breakfast options provided by Best Western. Very quiet with little to no traffic noise. They have a nice pool area that is fenced in for child safety and well kept.

« Nice place, but too much going on. »

Nice location but too much updating going on at once. Front entrance torn up, many units being redone. And they are booking rooms in the middle of the work. My advise, update one section at a time and keep the paying customers away from the mess. PJ's was a welcome surprise, a small Café near the pool. But it needs to be open longer in the evenings, 5-6:30 ???

Enjoyed my stay. Great location. Nicely remodel rooms. Close to restaurants and downtown. Beautiful mountain views. Friendly and helpful staff! I recommend this hotel for business trips or a weekend getaway!

« Stay Here if you want to know what a demolition sounds like »

They put me in a room next to a room be redone, sounded like the hammer was going to come through the wall. When I talked with the manager, he was rude and not willing to refund me for my whole stay - even though I left a day early because of the noise. Found shorts from last guest in the dresser.

    « Weekend Getaway »

Arrived Saturday afternoon to the hotel and was greeted by the staff and Megan was very polite made checking in easy. Been in a lot hotels but I got to say our room was updated and clean. Breakfast was good and so was the hospitality. But one thing that was a pain was hearing the ice machine going all night.

« Total Renovation almost completed »

As a returning guest for 18 years, this latest update is a vast gain over a previous redo. Rooms and baths are bigger and the furnishings are tasteful and comfortable. The site remains a quiet oasis so near a major Tucson street. Breakfast is consistently plentiful and tasty A daily "happy hour" is a popular extra guests can enjoy. Staff is pleasant and very helpful. I have never been disappointed here. I'm anxious to return soon.

« Clean, Newly Remodeled and Convenient »

I've stayed at other Best WEstern hotels, but this one was by far one of the best. The room, breakfast, social hour, and my interactions with all staff members were a positive experience. Megyn at the front desk even went out of her way to assign me to a suite that was newly remodeled with a comfortable bed. Very convenient location for shopping and restaurants.

    « Disappointed »

We arrived at the hotel, it was easy to brings the bags up the stair, front desk was nice, but there was a big party going on next door. Called the front desk, they came up and told the folks to keep it down, it lasted five minutes and it was back up. The room was small, and there was mold on on the ceiling in the bathroom. When I checked out, the young lady was very nice, apologized a couple of times, let house keeping know-

« Noisy place; tired buildings; disappointing »

Three nights at this hotel were more than enough. Very unsuitable for a restful night's sleep. 100 people and children in pool on night one screaming and shouting until 10pm. Woken up at 6:10am by loud mouthed men waiting outside breakfast room, waiting for it to open at 6:30am. External walk-ways damaged and dirty. Built before roll-along luggage was invented, because they had deep ridges between tiles that woke us up when luggage was bumped along the external corridors outside our bedroom. A very disappointing stay with little sleep. We had an inward facing room on the upper floor. Noise echoing up from people in the courtyard-swimming pool area below was excessive. Spacious rooms but the hotel design, which would have been attractive in the 1970's, is not practical today.

« Noisy Guests; Staff is not protecting peaceful guests. »

This was my first stay at a BW and it was terrible. Low life guests under the influence partying till late night. Boombox in the room next to me. Night staff did not stand up for me; they just called and warned the offender without taking firm action. Disturbance did not stop. I had to move to another room. Management and staff should be firm with offenders and throw them on the street if they do not follow the rules. I expect piece and quiet at a hotel after 10 PM. That is a basic expectation. Hoteliers have a higher standard of care toward their guests and should protect those that are peaceful and obey the rules.

    5
    « The Best Western »

We have stayed at other BW hotels, but this one was by far the best. We liked everything about it. The suite, breakfast, social hour, and my encounter with all staff members was a positive experience. The manager even went out of his way to assign us a suite that satisfied us. We had an emergency, and had to leave early. They were so understanding, and even helped me load the luggage in the car, since my husband was in the hospital.

    4
« Nice stay in Tucson »

This hotel is good for short term stays in the area. It's close to a busy road so there is noise which dies down at night. The rooms they call "suite" are really just regular rooms in size. There is nothing special about them. So no need to pay extra for that. Overall the hotel is ok but nothing special. Good for one or two nights, but not for a vacation.

    5
    « Consistently Excellent »

Whenever I go to Tucson I always stop here. Excellent service and a very good value. PJ's, their little breakfast restaurant is the best I have ever experienced. The staff is always helpful and informative from housekeeping to maintenance to front desk.

    2
« Dirty Room, Furniture, Hot Tub not ready, cement crubling around base of Suite living Room& »

I think this is 2nd worse hotel I've stayed in Room-wise in the US. I've stayed here before about 8 years ago during business trips and did not experience this. Housekeeping was called back to our room several times due to cleanliness issues and dirty sofa was not attended to. I'm okay with old & occasionally worn furniture but I'm not okay with dirty. I wouldn't stay here again.

    3
    « Not too bad »

Rooms were ok, exercise room was terrible, and breakfast not up to typical Best Western standards. I stay in Best Western a lot and this one is not of the quality I usually experience. This is the closest one to work though so I stay there.

    4
    « Tucson »

Nice place for families. Good breakfast, tennis courts, pool. But when they say a room is a "suite", they just mean a room. You have to get an executive suite to get two rooms. Book at bwsuite.com for good rates.

    « April vacation »

Room had two queen beds, desk, chair, microwave/mini fridge, coffee one pot, hair dryer etc. Big large hot breakfast buffet with real eggs and sausage, waffles, biscuits & gravy, 3 juices and great coffee. Had a swimming pool which we didn't use, laundry facilities were outside. Tennis courts we didn't use either. Nice flat screen TV. Free hi speed internet. Very nice motel to stay at, felt like a resort.

    4
    « Great value. »

We stayed 4 nights. The breakfast was good, more than the usual choices. The evening reception was ok too. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was adequate and clean. The only negative I can say is that the sheets really didn't fit the bed. The bottom fitted sheet kept coming loose. Housekeeping kept making our bed everyday, but it still came undone each night.

  • 3
« Noisy but Good Value »

Price was within range for this type of hotel, but the walls are thin and outside noise (people getting up early and dragging their suitcases up and down the tiled hallway) was unbearable in the morning.

    2
    « Presidential Suite »

They state this suite has two bathrooms. Not even close; the toilet and jetted tub/shower are in a separate room, the tile on the deck surrounding the jetted tub is colapsing and has mold on it. And the sink and vanity are in the bedroom. I believe this is very deceptive . There is a mini kitchen with no amenities, plastic wear, bowls, plates etc. It has a bar to eat at but no chairs or stools to utilize it. There was an onion ring on the floor by the couch and a cock roach on the desk in the living room when we left. 1 small bar of soap (facial size) provided by the sink in the bedroom, none in the shower or kitchenette. It did include a complimentary drink and breakfast which we did not utilize.

« Average Hotel for price paid »

Having stayed at this hotel in the past I clearly forgot just how average this property really has stayed. Lack of improvements since my last visit 3 years shows. Room: First room we were given- Rusty door frame, stains on couch seats, telephone inoperable, a horror show of an outdated room. We were promptly moved to room 214, much newer than 116. Table in 214 legs wobbly, kitchenette very small. I should have known better when room description said "kitchen". Breakfast: Free for those staying at the hotel. It seems that people come from all over to take advantage. No checks and balances creates the "herd" as noted in a previous comment. The food good, staff very good. Happy Hour: again note the "herd" comments. The staff here Very Good and polite. Popcorn excellent. A little more research in the area would yield a much nicer hotel with "spa credits, golfing, etc". Disappointed.

    « 1st Stay Here »

Liked the fact that the rooms are suites. Gives a little more room to spread out. My son loved the room, and spread his toys out. The room looked like it was going through renovation or in the process. I'm a detail oriented person...so details catch my attention immediately. Calking around tub, eye sore! Why is the sink in the bedroom? Plus the plumbing is exposed under the sink. Come on....for the price of the room. Use a cabinet instead of a vanity sink. Made the room look cheap which it wasn't. Wall papered rooms...looks like paper hangers where inexperienced. Above the counter to kitchen area...glue all over the place. I'm done. There was more, but my son and I did enjoy the room regardless of a couple of attention to detail items. The room over looked the pool area. We slept really good...bed was awesome! They do have a nice business area in the lobby. Had my laptop, but did not check out the internet. Just enjoyed eating pizza and hanging with my three year old son. Will probably consider coming here again. Close to two big malls.

« The good and the bad. »

Good location and easy to find. Stayed on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday so it was crowded and busy. Breakfast, Forget it, was like a drive on a crowded freeway during rush hour. Business space was great, had a four terminal access. Staff was nice. Housekeeping was obstructive. This location was good and bad seemed like no middle ground.

hard to say, 1st time at this place, and a best western, I have always stayed at a comfort inn, or la quinta, but I didn't like the fact the floors turned our feet black with in an instant, and the fact that we were tired and had to move from room to room, we weren't offered any type of discount,

Whenever we are in Tucson for business or leisure, this is our hotel of choice. It's convenient to all of Tucson and we find that the hotel's staff is very friendly and personable. The rates are very reasonable. The Happy Hour and breakfast are quite enjoyable.

    « Very nice hotel »

Very nice hotel with great facilities, clean and comfortable rooms and professional service. We highly recommend it, especially for shopping trips, as it is very close to two shopping malls, and within minutes to a pharmacy, which we needed at night.

We have stayed at this hotel 3 different times and each time we have stayed longer. They are pleasant to do business with and the amenities are good. The breakfast is amazing and the social hour is tons of fun.

« A real bargain. A little old, but well maintained. »

Good location, old motel-style facility, but well kept and appointed. A colleague stayed in a nearby Comfort Inn and paid nearly twice as much for a room that was pretty well worn out. Nice breakfast.

    « Never going back »

Used to be nice, not so much anymore. (We stayed in one of the jacuzzi suites a couple of years ago and it was great. Very nice, clean, great amenities.) When we stayed there again in Nov 2015 it was a huge disappointment. Everything in the room was breaking, broken or falling apart; peeling paint & wallpaper, water damage, ripped/cracked furniture, missing light bulbs, the knobs in the jacuzzi tub kept coming off, and other than the bed (thankfully) it wasn't clean; dingy, dusty & cobwebs. At least the free breakfast was still a great spread and the small pool is nice and the staff were all courteous & professional but the room was awful. Won't be going back.

    « Traveling around Arizona »

In our short travel around Arizona we stayed here 2 nights. At check in Ramon was very friendly and efficient. Our room was clean. Breakfast and social hour was great. Laying by the pool was very relaxing if there were not rowdy kids around. Not that I blame them. They need their fun. Our room (108) by the pool was not a good choice for us. Too loud from pool noise and the clunk clunk of suitcases going by.

My family and I had a soccer tournament in Tucson. This Best Western was a perfect place to stay. Nice Clean room we stayed in the King suite and loved it! « Shocking disappointment and concerns for safety »

We always select Best Western wherever we go. Here, an aging physical facility was staffed by energetic and competent staff, but physical facility was appalling and "dangerous." Broken stone steps with sections missing, shaky railings, housekeeping supplies stacked around staircases, questionable food serving methods in "cafe" and more. Moldy rooms, loud, old A/C units, peeling wallpaper. My absolute jaw dropper were the washers and dryers located right next to the "cafe" entrance. How about the smells of dirty laundry and roaring dryers as you try to breakfast in a smoky room way too small for number of guests. BW needs to invest some funds into bringing this facility up to what is normally represented by its brand name.

    2
    « Bad Stay »

Main reason I choose this hotel was for the jacuzzi tub. The controls on the tub were broken. At breakfast, there was not enough seating available for the size of the hotel. Couldn't even get a additional pillow when requested.

    « Peggy's Review »

I chose this hotel because we had the option to bring our dogs. We ended up not bringing our dogs, and we were not bothered by any one else's dogs. We were happy that other rooms were available for our family members and friends. I enjoyed the wifi. We were pleasantly surprised. It was one of the better Best Western we stayed in. The food was excellent and it was prepared well and there was enough of it. I really enjoyed the scrambled eggs and sausage. Staff there was excellent. I enjoyed being able to sit outdoors also.

    4
    « Excellent hotel »

What does this hotel get right, just about everything, it's biggest assest is its staff from front desk, to housekeeping to PJs bar, nothing ever seemed any trouble to them if you needed anything. The hotel itself is good too, good sized rooms, comfy bed, microwave, fridge, iron, ample car parking. Plenty storage options. For a "motel" layout it just felt right. Why not 5 out of 5 then, the one area that lets it down is breakfast, PJs is too small, the food choice wasn't great, to the extent that we eat breakfast at the Village Inn next door. I am told from talking to the staff about this that they plan to extend the breakfast facility later this year, that if successfull, would be the icing on the cake. We will be back in the future to see as this is the ideal accomodation for a Tucson vacation.

    3
    « Breakfast disappoinment »

Room was clean, updated and nicely decorated. Loved the makeup mirror. Room was on the second floor facing outside. Some rooms face the courtyard. There are no elevators. Pool area felt cramped although my grandkids enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub. Went to PJ's. A small building within the courtyard for breakfast. The breakfast area was very small in size. Inadequate to meet the needs of the guests in this size of a hotel. There were about 10 small round tables crammed together with a narrow walkway to the area where the food was placed separating the food from the tables. Sure we could have taken the food way back to our room but we wanted to enjoy breakfast. On a warmer day we could have eaten outside as there were maybe 2 tables outside. Opted to go to the Village Inn next door. I resented the fact we had to do that. Will stay somewhere else next time we are in Tucson.

« for the Budget minded traveler »

This Best Western in the Tucson foothills may not be the least expensive - I suspect that there are some in that category. But for the money one can have a very comfortable room, experience very pleasant and helpful staff and have one of the best breakfasts of any that provide breakfasts with their room charge. This is my experience - only in traveling abroad with a tour group have I had dual or better. The complementary late afternoon wine or beer, the one time we were there at that hour, was delightful. It is not at all difficult to get to the mountains, desert or to a shopping center from this location.

« The "Best" Best Western »

    « Needs Work... »

We moved to this hotel after finding our previous lodging overpriced. Well, the price may have been right here but.... The room was awkwardly laid out with an oversized desk and chair blocking the entrance to the rest of the room. The kitchenette was ridiculously laid out with a 2 burner (?!) hot plate, a tiny sink and a dysfunctionally placed microwave (at right angles to the sink on a shelf difficult to reach for anyone shorter than 5'5"). At least the fridge worked and was easy to use. The bathroom was updated. Breakfast was a joke as the facility was much too small for the packed house trying to get a free meal. The pool was small and the hot tub mingy. Towels were available only on the unused deck chairs - no central location to pick up or drop off. And then there was the service carts with the square wheels - really? Noisy and strange for a Best Western. Won't be staying here again.

    3
« Good location, nothing grand »

We hoped for a kitchenette that was, as advertised, fully ready. The burners had no pans beneath them, the fridge was a mini with no freezer to speak of, and there were no pots/pans/utensils. The property was generally quiet and there was sufficient parking. Although it's near many places to eat, most of them require a vehicle to access safely. The pool seemed clean; the breakfast was typical and boring though the staff were friendly and polite. Don't even think about putting someone on the sofa sleeper: it was awful.

    « Bad trip »

My department booked this hotel . Room was ok but dated , I had a room on pool side which was nice but all including children are allowed to play and swim until 10 pm. So don't plan on any quite time until after 10 pm . I had my room serviced and found on my return that I was missing money left on the desk as well as my earbuds, after contacting managment I recieved no reply. I re contacted management two days later and they told me they had to wait until the employee returned from their vacation to make a decision? So I guess my time, money and items missing are not important, I felt violated, so no trust In allowing my room to get serviced again. What a tremble experience and service..

« Dirty rooms and management never responded to inquiry. »

We stayed here in November for a wedding for one night and rented two rooms. Me and my wife decided to pay a little more and upgrade to a whirlpool suite. The room is extremely dated and smelled strongly of deodorizer. The other smelled so strongly of cigarette smoke. When we checked in the whirlpool in the room still had a little water still around the drain and little black hairs still in the tub. Called the front desk and asked them to please clean it up before we get back (6 hours later) when we got back to the room they left the little hairs and pulled the plug on the drain. When we checked out I asked to talk to the manager so I could get the extra 15 a night we spent for the upgrade since the reason we upgraded we were not able to use. She said there wasn't a manager. I asked her how she can deal with an issue with no manager she said she just writes it down. Tried for two weeks trying to speak to a manager nobody answered my call. We travel a lot to Tucson and will be taking my business elsewhere when we go to Tucson in the future.

« Good value and clean »

I enjoyed my stay and thank you to the staff, everyone was so nice and willing to help. The breakfast is fantastic along with the happy hour drinks. Room was clean and they made sure to call me after check in to see if I needed anything for my stay. Having them pick me up at the airport for free also saved me quite a bit of money on a taxi. Looking forward to returning and will stay here.

    « Nice »

Hotel is nice, wasn't told I would be getting a smoking room, so a little irritated with that, also wasn't told I could receive 20% off my meal at the Village Inn next door so I paid full price. Otherwise Pretty good.

« Wonderful hospitality and great bang for the buck. »

My husband and I stayed here after flying in from Colorado for my daughter's wedding. The staff was very welcoming from the moment we set foot in the door. The young lady who helped me at the front desk was helpful and courteous and even made sure we got a warm cookie straight from the oven before we headed off to our room. Our room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the lovely pool and jacuzzi but what sealed it for me was the complementary drinks that were provided for happy hour. Breakfast was wonderful with friendly staff. I can't say enough about our experience here and it was totally affordable to boot! I will definitely be staying here the next time I am in the area. I work in hospitality myself and have a true appreciation for a well run business.

Had an early morning sporting event in Tucson and wanted tor drive down the night before. Because we just needed a place to sleep, we were just looking for a clean hotel at a good rate. This property was old but updated and adequate for our needs. Good value because the rate was very low. Beds were comfortable.

This hotel is worth the price you pay. They are attentive if you have a problem. The people are nice that work there. The mattresses are fine, but the pullout with the couch is very uncomfortable. I have stayed there multiple times and will again.

    « Totally Non-Accessible »

One of the worst handicap accessible hotel experiences ever. Too much furniture, doors too narrow, shower floods entire bathroom, sink was chin-height, rug too thick to roll on, no way to get around in bedroom, no way to get to windows if in a wheelchair. Other problems - A/C didn't work & never got fixed. No outlets that could be reached without either standing, moving the bed, or crawling underneath something. No ice machine anywhere near my room.

« Rude and unacceptable, ever!!! »

Rooms were being updated, since our last stay a year ago. Nice new gray tile at the entry and on the bathroom floor and in the shower surround. New granite counter in the bathroom, newly painted wall, you could still smell that fresh paint smell. One of the nicest decorated Best Western we have stayed, even the workers were very happy, friendly and polite. Barry that worked the breakfast is the nicest employee we had contact with during our stay. Barry is always smiling and has great customer service skills, a great character (we thought he was the manager) because he cared so much about all the guest each and every day. We also enjoyed his Choice of music. The General Manager ( Jeff) uses profanity lots yelling at employees, how unprofessional can you The newer looking room and Barry made the rating, not the GM.

    « Not a 3 star »

I reserved this room as a Priceline 3 star. It should be a 2 star. Had it been a 2 star, I would have rated a 4 instead of a 3 but my expectations for a 3 star were certainly not met. The carpet was stained and had desperate need to be shampooed. The bathroom floor had a few black hairs on it. Other than the cleanliness, the room was fine. King bed (not as hard as I prefer) and a small desk. The breakfast room had a very good breakfast but the room was full. There were tables and chairs outside so we were able to sit to eat. Had biscuits & gravy, scrambled eggs. Potatoes, sausage. The apple juice was too diluted but everything else was good. Parking was pretty easy.

    « Nice hotel! »

I liked this hotel. The room was clean and quiet with comfortable beds and lots of pillows. They offer a variety of amenities like an outdoor pool and laundry facilities. There is a free breakfast and a happy hour with complimentary snacks. It is very convenient as it is about 10 minutes to downtown and 10 minutes to the university of Arizona, so whatever brings you to Tucson, this is your hotel. I'll definitely stay here again.

    « Affordable and clean. »

Really don't understand the 1 star reviews. This is a nice, clean, super affordable hotel. Our room was large, tidy, modern, and comfortable. We had a fridge, coffee maker, and microwave. George at the front desk was friendly and helpful, and our check in was quick. The area was safe and quiet. We had zero complaints and will definitely stay again.

    « A one night stay »

I would not recommend the Tucson hotel. The family next door was loud and I needed to knock on the door to quiet them down. I heard beeps from the cars being locked. It was noisy. Normally I have positive experiences with the Best Western Hotels. I must say, I was disappointed.

    « Overcharged Credit Card »

Check your credit card statement! The Hotel tried to charge me for one extra night! Although the staff is friendly it appears that the staff is not trained well. The pool was rarely opened up on time. The location in the Tucson Foothills is great and there is Whole Foods nearby.

« Only thing nice about this place was the staff! No sleep two nights! »

Where do I begin. First night we went to bed at 9:00 PM to be woken by rolling cart sounds. Called front desk at 10:30, it stopped. About midnight we here rolling sounds like suitcases on and off until 2:30 am. 5:30 am room beside us takes a shower, we hear dipping sounds, I mean loud and then a big rumble like the pipes were going to explode! It actually shook the wall when they turned off their shower. I have a video of the loud dripping sounds that went on, I'm serious, they're LOUD! Then by the closet you can hear dripping sounds too, all the time. Like the pipes are leaking. 2nd night woken up by the sound of dogs barking around midnight. Back to sleep around two AM neighbors wake us up with loud chatting, paper thin walls! The room was recently refurbished. It was so small for two queens. One bed was close up by the door which cold air was coming through badly. You could hear everything outside the door. The other bed, going to and from the bathroom you walk right into the office chair. The bathroom sink projects out way to far which leaves you to bend way over to wash your face, poor design. The microwave takes up a good portion of the bathroom sink. White stains on carpet, dirt on walls. Very cramped room. Small, cramped breakfast area. Had to park all the way on other side of hotel to get to my room. Horrible parking lot. Very poor remodel job. Terrible patch work over shower I paid premium rate for this room. Was suppose to be a relaxing vacation for me and my aunt. Was not that at all. No sleep for two nights. The employees at front desk were very kind. Had to remind the manager to call me about the first nights complaint. He gave is the room for free, sounds nice huh, not really, not when your on vacation and don't get sleep. Second night I called and manager never called back. At 170 a night, I should at least get a good nights sleep. Since the manager didn't call me back, I am leaving this review along with pictures to follow. On the good side, the bed was decent and there was plenty of hot water and good pressure. Oh and the second night our heater went out!!!

    « Feb 2016 »

We are in Tucson every few months and this is our favorite place to stay. It's clean, quiet, and convenient to everything from central to north Tucson. The staff is always helpful. One of them recommended El Guero Canelo for tthe famous Sonoran hotdogs. We stop there frequently now.

« Excellent Place to stay in Tucson, AZ »

This thing place is the most cost effective place and feature rich place. With the pool, spa, fitness room Internet, and full breakfast it was excellent. The only it lacked was a lift for luggage going to the 2nd floor.

    « Totally Disappointed »

I expected more from a Best Western. This was by far the worst hotel I have stayed in. The room was small, not very clean and totally uncomfortable. It looked like the recent repairs were done by a blind armature. The bathroom grouting was a total joke as well as the other repairs made to the room. We visited the breakfast room once and decided to eat out of the hotel. We would not stay here again, even if we were offered free rooms.

    « Very Nice! »

My husband and I just 4 nights at this hotel during the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show and was very happy with the accommodations. The room was very clean and spacious, and the bed quite comfortable. They have a happy hour every evening from 5-6:30 with free wine and beer, and probably the best complimentary breakfast we have had in a hotel..a great selection. Highly recommend..we will be back!

    « What a disaster »

This hotel was filthy and full of barking dogs. The carpet in our room was so dirty it looked like it had not been vacuumed in a year. The AC was next to the bed and blew freezing air on us at night. The construction debris in the parking lot left us with an expensive flat tire.

    « survey »

The place is older and in disrepair. I would urge all travelers to find another place. Just not acceptable. "Rest" is very small and at 8 AM there is not enough room to sit, etc. Cooking odors fill the small room. Not acceptable.

    « Pleased »

The hotel was very easy to check into and out of. The rooms were spacious and had a microwave and refrigerator, if needed. The staff recommended and excellent restaurant in the area and had very good cookies for the customers.

    « Good Hotel...some issues »

It's a good and "cheap"option, it includes breakfast though it's not varied and the restaurant stinks (grease smell all over your clothes). The room was clean, people were nice, except the last day when the shuttle I asked for wan't there, they say they offer free shuttle to the airport but only starting at 7 a.m. (supposedly) I booked the shuttle and there was no one there to take me the next day, finally the manteinance guy took me but I was about to miss the flight. If you have an early flight don't expect to be taken by the hotel shuttle. The hotel should clarify that the shuttle service has limited hours, I felt really disappointed.

« Best Western InnSuites Tucson Foothills Hotel & Suites, Tucson, ARIZONA »

A really great place to stay - friendly staff, informative and willing to go extra for you. I loved my night here while driving across the country. The setting is really nice - i had a quiet room but did have to carry my suitcase up the stairs as no elevator. Still, that was ok as everything else was well done.

« nice place to stay while in Tucson »

Stayed here while on a family trip to Tucson. The hotel is well managed and a very nice place to stay. There was some remodeling going on while we were there, but it only caused some minor inconvenience for a short time. The breakfast is very well done with some hot items prepared there. Lots of choices at breakfast.

    « room for my husband's surgery »

This was close to the hospital where my husband had his surgery. They were very helpful and gave a discount because of the hospital visit. Thank you. The breakfast they service was very good. I can not say much more as I was at the hospital as much as I could.

    « Tucson overnight »

Convenient location; helpful staff; very good complimentary breakfast. Mattress was very comfortable, plenty of pillows, towels and bath amenities. East access on SR 77 to roads leading to I-10. Parking was plentiful and right in front of my room. Was on ground floor so I don't think there was an elevator to second floor.

« Select this hotel in a pinch »

This hotel has been recently refurbished. The bed was comfortable and the water was hot. The free breakfast is served in a small building that was VERY poorly ventilated. Thus hair-skin-and clothing absorbed the odors of food and grease. Why take a shower before breakfast?

    1
« Front desk poor comunication »

Very bad management, resulting in very low "people skills" employees, resulting in overall bad service. Asked to has rooms near each other, we where placed several buildings apart ! No hot water in our bathroom sink ! Slow Wi-Fi and a very small always full lounge / breakfast area !

« Great Weekend with an In Ground Hot Tub »

Jeff, the General Manager, hooked us up with a suite with an in ground hot tub. The staff was professional and prompt. We requested a dish pack to prepare a dinner. Breakfast wad scrambled eggs, sausages, bisquits/gravy, and fried potatoes. If that doesn't suit you there is a restaurant on the north side of the same parking lot. Great central location. We will return.

    5
    « Very comfortable room »

Stayed one night while visiting friends in Tucson. Only complaint is room wasn't near where we had to park our car. More of a hassle than anything. Bed very comfortable with quality sheets. Room was very quiet. Didn't take advantage of breakfast.

  • 4
« good value except for pillows »

The rooms are clean, comfortable and offer good amenities. Just remember to bring your own pillow(s). If in north Tucson, this is a great location, whether for pleasure or business. The bar/breakfast area is a small, cramped area.

    2
« Worst Best Western stay »

I had the misfortune of staying at this location as an overflow hotel option for a conference I was attending. Please remove the sad excuse for a "fitness center". Why offer it as an option? Housekeeping took my shampoo (hotel supplied shampoo) from the shower and didn't replace it so I had no shampoo one morning. Garbage trucks were picking up dumpsters at 4:30 a.m. on Monday. 4:30 a.m! P.J's, the "bar", smelled of burnt cooking oil. I was very disappointed in the experience.

    3
    « Upgrades needed »

We have stayed at other Best Western Hotels that had hardwood floors which gave the overall feel a cleaner and neater appearance. Needs better security at night as people were climbing over the pool fence and using the Spa at midnight. They were very noisy.

    5
    « Very Caring »

Hotel staff went out of their way to make our post surgery stay excellent. They helped me with having a post operative breakfast for my wife when we returned from the surgery center. In the evening they made sure she was comfortably seated for "Happy Hour." They also made sure things we needed refrigerated were done so we could use them next day.

    5
    « Great location »

We were there to see north Tucson area and this hotel was well situated for that. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable; the rate was reasonable. Our only issue was the "exercise facility" was a recumbent bike and a small universal, which did not work for us. We would stay there again.

    2
« Personal Stay at Best Western »

Not happy with my stay. The room had no drapes on the window. Insufficient towels in the room. The best thing that I say is that the bed was very comfortable. The off-road parking was acceptable, away from road noise. The room, otherwise, was acceptable. There was an unstated deposit charged and I was not advised at checkout and only found out when my bank statement came. I still have not received the $50 charged me in my bank statement.

    5
    « Best Western Experience »

The bed was very comfortable and the room was nice and clean! The location was close to the University of Arizona and also close to restaurants and gas stations. The on-line price was great!! Plus they take AAA. When we arrived, late into the night, the hotel was very full but quiet.

    3
    « Nice room »

This looks like it used to be an apartment building, which is nice if you like separate rooms. The set-up was a bit different than most hotel rooms, but if we were staying longer than one night, the kitchen would have been handy. It looks like they are trying to improve the property, but overall a good stay. The only problem is the breakfast area is too small and poorly ventilated.

    5
    « Staying in Tucson »

The best place to stay is the Best Western, Foothills. You get great value for the money... a complete breakfast bar; 2 drinks and snacks for Happy Hour; a clean spa and swimming pool available all year round. When visiting Tucson, I make sure to stay here.

    « Not as described »

Was in town for a week long business conference, and used this hotel for overflow... I have already misspoke according to definitions hotels usually have rooms that are accessible from the inside - these aren't it is a MOTEL. There were some renovations but the rooms needed updating and better housekeeping- I had dead bugs in my room. The buildings were spread out and there was no elevator for those who may need it, at least not one I could visibly find. Overall not a great experience. Also the description says near UA campus, if 20 minutes / 7.5 miles is close then it's close. Sorry wasn't impressed.

    « Customer Service »

Still waiting, 3 days after our stay, for the 2 pillows and extra blanket that was asked for, 4 different times. Was told each time that they were on their way. Kind of hard when there are 3 adults and one will use the pullout sofa and there are no pillows. Had to fold something up to use. And the blanket is thin and you need to find something else for cover. Have stayed here many times before. Never had this problem before. Hope this is not going to become the new norm.

« Nice Place, Great Complimentary Breakfast »

Just needed a bed for the one night we'd be in Tucson. This place offered so much more than the bed. It's located close to a mall, had a heated pool and gave us a great complimentary breakfast. We will return when we're in Tucson again!

    3
« Generally good, but some challenges »

There's nothing particularly wrong with this motel. The room was decent, although the location off the parking lot was not the greatest. The breakfast was good with several hot offerings, although the room was crowded with no seating available much of the time, and the location was good if you do not need to be next to the freeway, although getting in and out was sometimes a challenge. We'd likely come back, but will also look at other options.

    2
« Not what we expected..... »

We were disappointed in our room/suite during our recent stay in Tucson-we will not be staying at this hotel again! Run down, lights in our room were burned out/not working, bed ok, wireless spotty. The rooms looked nothing like what is listed online. There was hot breakfast every morning and coffee. However The hotel would not allow us a late check out, even with a fee-as our flight did not leave until 5pm the evening of.

    « Never know »

You never know what you'll get when you stay at a best western. Well this one is one of the better ones!! The place has some age but it's been recently remodeled and it's really nice! They have a nice hot breakfast spread too. There a bunch of good restaurants nearby too.

    « A night in Tucson »

This hotel is not on the hwy. it is off the beaten track a bit. Rooms are clean and reasonably priced with breakfast. Breakfasts are full breakfasts. Rooms have thin walls though. Rooms have recently been renovated.

    « Tucson Foothills »

This hotel was average to mediocre. The bed was so/so. The wi fi was occasionally spotty. Breakfast was ok. The hotel charged a $50 damage deposit which would be only charged if we damaged the room. I have never had this experience. This was a red flag to me that this might not be a hotel I would want to stay in again. The police were called to a room the night we were there.

    « More shopping!! »

In a Thanksgiving visit to Tucson, we again stayed at the BW InnSuites Tucson Foothills, which is quickly becoming our favorite place to stay while in Tucson. We discovered another surprise from the last trip that we enjoyed so much because of the hotel being centered between two major shopping malls. Well add a third major mall close to the hotel now that the Outlet mall just off I-10 and Twin Peaks road is open. WOW is it something, just huge and adds another major shopping spot convenient to the hotel. While we were there for Thanksgiving with family and shopping, we again experienced an outstanding stay, and an exceptional experience because of the incredible staff. Add to that they are doing what appears to be thousands of dollars of renovation, makes our future stay at the BW InnSuites even more certain. Modest price, excellent rooms, convenient for shopping, what more can one ask of a place to stay!

    3
« used to be a good place to stay »

Long wait to check in dirty room, dirty bathtub.Maid wakes us up at !) AM because no "do not disturb" sign available.Use to be a good place to stay and relax,we will be trying out another place on next trip to Tucson. If your on a tight budget and don't mind cleaning up a little this place is not all that bad.

    3
    « Noise issues »

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful and the location works if you want to be near restaurants, shopping, etc.. I was concerned when I saw a Fox Sports bus located on the premises and my concerns were justified when the adult members of a sports team started screaming and 'partying' in the middle of the afternoon, running back and forth between multiple hotel rooms. So our attempts to relax outside while we could still catch some sunshine quickly ended. So be aware if you see a sports team bus on the premises when you check in.

« Bad Experience at Best Western »

This hotel has a ways to go before I will stay again. The card key/lock mechanism was faulty and took several tries before opening, I repeatedly, i.e. every night, had to go to the lobby to get normal room service item (wash cloths, hand towels, coffee cartridges). The door was left ajar one day. I could get no satisfaction from reporting these items to the lobby and after 4-5 times finally gave up.

« Great place to stay in NW Tucson.. »

Very well located to shopping and restaurants in a popular part of the city of Tucson. The huge Tucson Mall is only 3 minutes away. We would certainly stay at this hotel again when in Tucson. We were visiting Family who lived close by, which is a special reason for us choosing this hotel. This hotel is about 10 minutes driving from the I-10 Freeway.

    5
« Great Place to Stay »

This is a great place to stay without having to pay an arm and leg. All the staff are friendly and go out of their way to help. The breakfast was great addition to the stay so that I did not have to leave for good food.

    « Excellent Budget Hotel »

My buddy and I stayed at this hotel four nights: Tuesday through Friday, then the following Sunday. The room we had for the first three nights was most comfortable and large, and the room we had for one night was somewhat smaller; but, all were above average and the price couldn't be beat. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms clean, and the wi-fi and TVs worked. Noise was negligible although one night a couple in an adjoining room had an argument, and in the morning after 7:00 people pulling suitcases down the (outside) hallways could be heard. The "free" breakfasts were of decent quality and food was plentiful except for the Monday morning, when they ran out early. Coffee was quite good and strong. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would suggest getting to breakfast by 8:00 for a table (the venue is small) and choice of food. I would give this hotel four and one-half stars if I could, but think it deserves five rather than four stars given the choice.

« Property Ready for Makeover »

I have stayed at this property on a dozen occasions over the last 15 years. It is a convenient location, has large rooms and includes the standard breakfast buffet. The service is what can generally be expected from a Best Western - which is good. This property however is in need of renovation - nothing has changed over the last 15 years and it was not new then. The carpets are a bit sticky, the heating/cooling units make a fair amount of noise and the bathrooms need new, updated fixtures. It's ok but there are newer properties in the area that I will likely try in the future.

    5
« My Best Western Stay »

Very clean Hotel, the free breakfast is really nice and has everything you would want to eat. Also, the hotel has a refrigerator and microwave which all hotels do not supply. You also get free internet. These are things that make the hotel a much better place to stay. Overall, I would recommend to this hotel to others.

    3
    « Spacious room...but... »

There is great potential for this property to be quite wonderful. We found the front staff to be very welcoming and considerate. The difference is a lack of attention to details. The grounds just seem shabby and ill kept with broken tiles and chipped out stairway; trash and cigarette butts on the ground; dirty laundry cart as obstacles to reaching your room. We were in a 2 room suite that had a rather unique configuration. The kitchen area was on the left as you came with a half wall as separation with the back of a microwave facing the front room. The walls had incurred some damage to the wall paper in the front room that had not really been repaired, and in the kitchen, water damage at the window left the wallpaper buckled and warped down the wall. In the front room, the telephone jack was on the outside wall and the phone was on the opposite wall requiring a phone cord to string across the floor. An interesting bathroom configuration had the toilet and tub/shower behind the kitchen, and the sink in the bedroom. With just two of us, that would have worked out ok, but might not be so great if there had been someone using the hide-a-bed in the front room. The inconvenience that we found was that there was no mirror over the sink. That was on a wall outside the bathroom. We tried to have the offered breakfast but it is in a small cabana by the pool, and was overcrowded. There is a nice restaurant that shares the parking lot with the hotel where we ate breakfast. They offer a discount to hotel guests, but we didn't find that out until later.

    « Not a 3 star hotel! »

Traffic from main road can be an issue. I felt like I was in a sardine can as the rooms layout of property gives zero privacy. The carpet was filthy, and the mattress was horrendous! I suffer from chronic back pain, and these must be the cheapest mattresses made. I woke up in excruciating pain. It was not a pleasant stay. The late night maintenance staff were great though! I did use the spa, and though the temp was great, the jets lacked pressure. If you're on a budget, or have no other food options, go to the Natural Grocers located at the Northeast corner of Oracle and Orange Grove in the TJ Maxx strip mall. They have a great in-room selection of cheap food for the microwave! If you have a sweet tooth, the Village Inn is located just in front of the motel, and the cream pie is to die for. (There goes the healthy entree) ;)

« Nice hotel for a short stay »

It was a nice enough hotel. A little noisy when people walked by your room. No problems, enjoyed our stay. Nice area close to the foothills and plenty of places to shop and eat. The hotel is priced right and in a good location.

    « Needs Some Work »

I'm a very low maintenance person. I don't need very much to be happy. I would first like to say that the hotel staff was very friendly and courteous. The breakfast was fairly extensive compared to most other continental breakfasts. One of the small issues that I had was that my shower had quite a substantial leak. It wasn't just dripping water; the leak was a steady stream of water. Even that I could live with considering I would only be staying there for a couple of days. However, my major issue was the wifi. I do quite a lot of work on the internet, and the wifi was virtually non-existent. The internet was painfully slow, and I kept having to reconnect to the wifi even though I hadn't even left the room. If the internet connection is going to be unusable, why bother even having it?

« having fun in the sun »

This hotel was wonderful. It was nicely located about 8 miles straight down oracle to old town. We were here for the Day of the Dead festival which was also wonderful. One of our rooms was a king suite and had a separate bedroom and also a stove, fridge, and microwave. The other room was 2 queen beds and also very nice. We would definitely stay again.

    « Pleasant stay »

Hotel rooms were perfect; clean, nice, inviting! Breakfast and Happy Hour were wonderful! Pool side was great, out door sitting areas we used and they were really nice. We were very happy. « Drive on by »

Don't stay here! The welcome staff is rude...guests ahead of us were given a deluxe room even though they paid for a suite with no concern for the guests...were told sorry no suites available deal with it! We would have left but would have been charged for the night. Our room was on the second floor and there was sheets, carts, pallets everywhere we could barely walk to climb the stairs. The breakfast the next day was good but skip the evening social seen at night, no real food to speak of...chips, salsa, popcorn. Very noisy at night...heater was broken in room so fire alarm went off. This location needs some rehab including the management.

« The best in Tucson »

On October 31 my wife thought it would be a nice surprise to take me to a romantic getaway at the best western inn suites foothills. The first person we had the pleasure of meeting was the manager one Lucas Gomez the only thing that surpasses his professionalism was his up beat personality. His front desk staff was by far the best I have found outside of Las Vegas. The room was both clean and comfortable the pool was open clean and the water was perfect and this was in October. The views of the Catalina mountain was a great site to wake up to in the morning. Even the towel boy Ruben was great I called and in less then 5mins we had a knock at the door with new clean warm towles. The free breakfast was and great touch. When we check out and I was handed the bill I was floored. I was expecting a a price far above what the bill was. In my humble opinion Lucas Gomez and his staff at the best western inn suites in the foothills Tucson is running a first rate operation and would recommend to anyone.

« Nice Place, Except for the Little Things »

This is a nice facility with well appointed rooms. The front desk staff was extremely courteous and professional, but not very knowledgeable about the local area. The free full breakfast was great. I would stay here again, but the little things kept me from giving a 5 rating. The shower water temperature fluctuated dramatically during my shower. The Sony flat screen TV would have been great if the hotel had HD or even digital SD reception, but it looked to me like poor quality analog which made for a disappointing viewing experience of the last game of the World Series. Speaking of TV, the in-room channel list was out of date and I never did find ESPN. All in all, though, I had a comfortable stay.

There is nothing fancy about this Best Western, but the rooms are clean and the beds are extremely comfortable. My husband has a difficult time sleeping in most hotel rooms, but he LOVED the pillow top mattresses here. The breakfast included everything you'd expect: eggs, hash browns, waffles, fruit, yogurt, sausage, coffee, various juices, and a selection of muffins. The best thing about this Best Western was the PRICE: about half the cost of the Best Western near the airport. Our only complaint was a minor one. The lock on the bathroom door did not work,

« Good for a night, Could be better »

Staff seemed a little in a hurry when checking in, over the phone from the room, and not to interested in what we were doing there. I work in hospitality myself and this place where they are professional seemed to not care in some areas.

very good facility with the right pricing and great staff. Location is superb, and the quality of the hotel is great. Would definitely recommend this place to friends. I will be back as well! The cleanliness and value for your dollar are tremendous. I appreciate all the help the staff gave me when I requested to stay an extra night.

« Too many small problems to make this worth a stay »

We like to stay at Best Westerns. And, at first glance, this seemed like a good place to stay. But, there were too many little problems 1. Housekeeping... We found a hunk of hair on the shower wall when we checked in. Then we found that the dishes in the kitchenette were dirty, and never cleaned during our stay. The housekeeping while we were there was spotty. On at last one day, only the beds were made, there was no service in our bathroom. 2. Problems with the room itself... The bed was so close to the air conditioner that it was very hard to get into the bed on that side. And, since the air conditioner was right next to the bed, it blew really cold air onto the bed. The mini fridge got louder and louder each day, until we finally had to just turn it off and take everything out of it that we were trying to keep cold. One of the sliding doors on the closet would jam after moving about 6 inches. You could force it, but it wasn't easy. The toilet had to be flushed twice to get the toilet paper to go down. 3. Breakfast... We like the breakfasts at the Best Western. And this was fine, except that they ran out of yogurt on multiple days. And not at the end of the breakfast time, but early on. 4. Outside corridors... We prefer indoor corridors because they tend to be quieter. And this was no exception. Running kids early in the morning, people fighting one night in the parking lot (thought we would have to call the police), people talking loudly as they loaded their cars in the morning to get going early. 5. Business center... The computer displays were mounted to the wall and were up quite high. My wife and I both got neck aches looking up at them. You would have to be 6ft8inch for the displays to be comfortable. Also, antivirus definitions haven't been updated since 2012. Yikes! 6. Exercise room... We were unable to exercise because there was only one cardio machine in the exercise room. We tried to go for a run/walk, but the main street (Oracle) has no sidewalks, and fast traffic. The side street dead-ends quickly into a private townhome community. Nice and safe, but small, so you really could not go for a run. We'll pick someone else when we visit Tucson again. There were just too many small problems with this hotel.

« Enjoyed are stay on our 35th wedding anniversary »

The Free Breakfast Service and food was great. Are room had a wet bar in it which made in nice and the next time we stay here we will try the Presidential Suite. You must walk to the Village Inn for Pie and coffee.

    « Disappinted »

We were very disappointed in this hotel. While the employees were very polite and helpful, the room was unacceptable. There were stains on the blanket and rugs. The door did not close all the way and we did see bugs. Most likely would not have stayed but we arrived late in a city we were unfamiliar with.

« Beautiful Property, Great Price!! »

This is a wonder hotel. Great breakfast, beautiful rooms. Just be sure you get your room cleaned while you are out. We had a problem with that and it wasn't pleasant coming back fro visiting our son at the hospital to an unmade room. Everything else is over the top.

Great stay, the shuttle was able to get us to the stadium and we enjoyed Parents Day at UofA then returned for a great breakfast the next day. Ruben the shuttle driver provided us with plenty of recommendations while in Tucson. We also enjoyed the pool area.

    « Pleasant Surprise »

Whenever you book a room online for $68 a night you always wonder as to what kind of quality you are walking into. We booked on Hotels.com (will never do that again!) and called before heading out to inform the front desk we would be arriving late. We had a 6 hour drive and would be arriving close to midnight. They saw our reservation but said it wasn't confirmed yet. When we arrived they said they had us booked for two rooms and that it showed up on their end as having been booked through expedia (we've never used them before). So it was weird but the gentleman at the front desk sorted it out and gave us the keys to our room. The room's AC was cracking for us which was a welcome surprise in the AZ heat! The bed was way more comfortable than we were expecting. The room and bathroom were clean. Having a mini-fridge and microwave in the room was an unexpected bonus. Breakfast the next morning was actually pretty good. Scrambled eggs, sausage, breakfast potatoes and biscuits and gravy! YUM! They also had a waffle station, oatmeal, cereal, bagels, muffins, etc. The coffee was even a surprise. I was expecting the cheap junky coffee that has a cardboard taste. It was not like that at all and was quite pleasant (regular and decaf available). Orange juice, apple juice, iced tea and water are also available. Whenever anything was running low the staff was quick to refill it. They also have a free social hour between 5 and 6 where each guest (over 21) gets 2 free drinks. We weren't at the hotel at that point but I thought it was a nice idea for a hotel to provide. The pool looked cleaned and well kept. Room service was quite helpful and brought us plastic forks to eat our lunch in our room. They even had wine corkscrew we could borrow when we forgot ours. The staff was very professional and accommodating. Will definitely stay again.

    « No hot breakfast »

Woman didn't show up for the hot breakfast. So we missed it on are day to fly back. It would have been nice for them to have someone else to jump in to do it. There were lots of people waiting on it and they just said shes running late it ruined it for us.

    « i will come back here »

My coworkers and I had a wonderful experience staying at this hotel. The staff were helpful, there was no delay or long waiting during check in and check out. The amenities are clean and well-kept. The breakfast food was good, everything we need for breakfast was there. The breakfast room was clean.

« How do they do it?? »

I am having some medical stuff at a nearby clinic that will last about 5 weekday weeks. I go home 4 hours drive on the weekends. Make your reservations on line.. check in is a breeze checking out the same. the people are very Johny on the spot. they gave me a voucher for a "upgraded room" on my next stay. I tried it and found I preferred the smaller "single" room I had no problem changing rooms. The rooms are very clean no dirt or grime in the corners, no grime or scum on the bathroom tiles the showers all worked in the three rooms I've been in. the sheets on the beds are good quality. the air conditioners work with little noise. The coffee machine and micro wave look brand new. My one don't like is the place is an older motel and built like a rabbit warren very close. The breakfast is a real breakfast. this place is great you won't be sorry you stayed there.

« Good clean place near all the Oro Valley Foothills attractions »

Right on the main drag on Oracle Road, near all the shopping and sights. Near the beautiful Catalina Foothills. They have 4 buildings all 2 story walk ups. We asked for a top floor King on our reservation and they accommodated us. Checked in at 2pm and gave us the room, no problem. Pool area is nice, clean, nice chairs with Jacuzzi. The breakfast is in a room right off the pool. Had hot items and the usual cold items. They also are open in that room serving other food for purchase during pool times. The food lady was very friendly and kept everything very clean. The room was clean, bed and pillows were good, bathroom a little small but managed for a night. Gave bare minimum towels. The tub was a bit slippery. There was a sofa in our room, but a little tight quarters in that area and it was half way up against the air conditioner. Our view was out to the parking lot. Not sure if you can get a good view from any of the rooms here but you are close enough to the Catalina's to just walk out and look or go visit them. When I grabbed the TV channel menu off the nightstand it had a used piece of peppermint candy stuck to it. Not pleasant but that would be a housekeeping issue. Front desk not overly friendly, just got you checked in and moved on, same at check out. Good place to stay at if you are out and about for the day and need a place to kick off your shoes and get a good nights sleep and get some breakfast in you before you take off for the day.
