    « Most accommodating »

Wonderful service by all staff. Have stayed here before and will continue to stay with them whenever in Trieste. Breakfast was excellent and the assistance given in direction etc was very well appreciated.

    « Ok »

If you come from Liliput then it is ok to get parking otherwise dont waste 16 euros for a dezastruos parking space. The rooms are clean, small and the one I'm staying in has no fridge so it is kind of a turnoff. Good thing is you can make tea, just perfect for a 35 degree summer day. Bathroom is clean but the showers are meant for people with an Auschwitz body type or who have no legs. If you have 1,90 or if you are a little overweight forget about taking a comfortable shower... they are 1M per 1M. My guess that this was bought by Best Western and was just rebranded. The staff speaks english pretty good and are very polite. Other than that Trieste smells of urine and fieces so I don't see any reason to actually stay here.

« very good standard in a nice city »

The hotel offers Best Western standard with large rooms, available parking, good breakfast, available wifi. Location next to San Giacomo church is about 1 km from the city center in walking distance. The costs of the room are very reasonable.

« Good service, traditional hotel »

We liked this traditional Italian hotel. Also the receptionist was very positive. The hotel had paid safe garage, which is a big plus. Bed was not very comfortable, but ok. Quite a walk to the city center, but nice things to see on your way......

    « Older, comfortable »

We stayed here mostly because of the positive reviews and the garage parking(extra charge). The hotel is not very close to the port, but the # 10 bus stops right across the street and its 10 minutes to the port. There are shops and bars nearby as well as a supermarket. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, especially Michele at the front desk and Lea in the breakfast room, who both speak english well! The breakfast is great! The rooms are quite smallI but very functional, and very clean. I would certainly stay here again.

« Good hotel for short stay »

Hotel is not in the walking distance to the city centar but is good enough for short stay. You can park your car on the streats around hotel without paying but if there is no place, hotel has its own garage. Room are small but clean. Breakfast is very good considering the very reasonable room price per night. Staff is very friendly.

« One-night transit hotel with garage and great coffee »

Nothing special, small, clean and comfortable room, relatively quiet area, and twenty minutes walk to the port. The first meet at the breakfest with italian double esspresso is unforgetable. (not american wishy-washy) GPS recommended to find. I feel a bit high the 16 € for car park, but it was camera obseved..

    « Comfortable and friendly »

Found the hotel to be very well situated for the city centre as well as local historical sites. Staff were very helpful and friendly and the room was very spacious even with a double and a single. Cleanliness was good and a great choice offered in the continental breakfast. We will definitely stay again. On the local bus route (from the train/bus station to almost outside the door)

    « Horrible »

Stay away from this flee pit. The hotel is old, the room I was given was last upgraded in the year Napoleon passed through Trieste on his way to exile on St.Helena. The breakfast is less than average for a good hotel. I close with my opening words.

We have just stayed here for three days. From booking in to booking out the staff were superb in every respect. The room was ultra clean and serviced well each day. The breakfasts were fantastic , with a great selection of food ranging from cheese omelettes, cold meats, cheeses, range of breads and cakes of every description. The breakfast staff always on hand. Best thing was free coffee in the reception 24/7. All anybody could want on a visit to Trieste.

« Needs a makeover, staff as well... »

Signed in as a smoker given 4th floor room after 2 pm, room was not ready (towel hanging on wide open door) and cleaning lady says I cannot go there anyway as I smoke...defying the front desk. Said only 2nd or 3rd floor only. Back to the front desk and I get a 1st floor room. Another defiant cleaning lady on that floor as well. Room half the size of what I paid for. No fridge, no safe, wi-fi fine but uses antiquated browser login...not mobile friendly. 2 wall plugs by bed is it. Doors noisy on 1st floor (I was in 109) do not go there...see attached photos judge for yourselves. Had fun on toilet with sink in my lap. Compare shower size to toilet. And love the Casablanca movie keys...very portable. Oh yes, you can listen in on the TV from the next room no problem. Observe the lovely view. Front desk overbearing when I asked for a credit...said it was my fault because in the future they are going nonsmoking. Oh yes, when finally settled in, the cleaning lady brings another couple into my room without knocking. I am a Diamond Elite Best Western repeat customer. I would only recommend this place to someone I do not like. BTW the front desk was full of excuses and made it still my fault somehow. Cab driver told me place has gone down hill since owner died. Wish I'd have talked to him first. Since they have Best Western Plus...rename this place Best Western Negative. Not the Best Western I know in Canada, US and Europe. I'd pull their franchise until they smartened up.

« Small hotel off the center »

This is a nice hotel, off the center, next to a small piaza (by S.Giacomo church) with some cafes, restaurants and shops. The S. Giusto cathedral and old castle are good 10 minutes walk from the hotel. The room was tiny even in European standards, but clean and with all needed facilities. The big plus of this hotel was the breakfast - which had rich buffet with great food and service. That's why i'm ranking this above average. Also, staff was helpful. Parking costs extra. Area is quite. Good value.

    « Nice »

Its good located, friendly people, rooms small but good enough. Breakfast is so good and delicious. If you need a car park its closed park with price. You can walk around the city center. Nice pizza points and bars around the hotel

    « Bad experience »

It was my worst hotel experience ever, rough staff with really not acceptable behaviour, the location of the hotel is in not recommended zone, but they play with name of the hotel , because san giusto is one of the best zone of Trieste. They charge my credit card one night more without even apologise, they asked my guests to bay for breakfast which was included al leat for one of 2 rooms i booked. Bad
