"Feels like visiting family!"
sandymcdaniel99, 07 Avril 2024

We've stayed here before and that's the reason we stayed here again. The owner and her staff are so kind and make you feel lucky to stay here. The rooms are large with rockers right outside the rooms. Everything is so clean and the breakfast was complete with everything you could imagine. We Love this BW location.

"Great place in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains"
pbshover, 19 Février 2024

We enjoy staying at this hotel when going to Townsend. It is clean, has everything we need, a great breakfast and is right on the walking path. It is easy to get in and out of, the staff is very friendly and accommodating and it is nicely priced. Very convenient to Townsend and entrance to Great Smoky Mountain National Park. It's also convenient to Wear's Valley Road, which goes into Pigeon Forge and allows you to stay off the main drag. We love to visit the Townsend Abbey for great music, drinks and food when in town, and this is just a short walk away, as well as the Chocolate B'ar, which has amazing desserts and drinks.

"Everything was excellent!"
perkinschristine77, 16 Janvier 2024

The staff is very friendly. They made sure that we had everything that we needed.Very good breakfast buffet!! Everything was hot and fresh. We were there for the Jeep Freeze Out Ride. It is only 2 minutes from Cades Cove Jeep Outpost. It is very quiet and peaceful. Only 15 miles from Pigeon Forge. We will be back soon.

"They can make it so much better"
Kristy W, 15 Janvier 2024

We gave this hotel another try after a previous visit. The repairs had not been done. The room we stayed in had cockroaches all in it. The price of the room was not clear and we were overcharged. We paid for early check in and that was fine but the room price changed.

"Stay away, far away! Nasty ROACHES"
Mark N, 13 Janvier 2024

THE ABSOLUTE WORST HOTEL! I have traveled the country for the past 20 years and have never seen such a nasty hotel. It appears they put lipstick on a pig judging by the initial appearance of the room but upon further inspection, the place was disgusting. We pulled back the covers and found small specks that resembled bed bugs. We left the room for a little while to get dinner and returned to find roaches crawling around the sunken tub and up the wall (see attached photos). Needless to say, we quickly gathered our belongings and found another place to stay. I inquired at the desk about a refund and was assured the manager would contact me to get the issue resolved. Not sure how you resolve roaches after the fact. Still haven't been contacted by anyone. Looks like a dispute with my bank is in order to refute the charges.

"Best Western Cades Cove Inn"
christ4ever71, 23 Décembre 2023

The room was super clean and bigger than expected. The breakfast was good with several options . Will surely stay again while visiting the area. The hotel was in a good location only a few miles from cades cove.

"Excellent Stay in Townsend"
Teresa M, 20 Décembre 2023

We have stayed at this hotel many times during our trips to Cades Cove. We love the close proximity to the park and the peacefulness of Townsend. The rooms are very clean and modern. Breakfast was good with many options. Staff was friendly and helpful.

"Nope not here"
allenh239, 30 Septembre 2023

Called to check price and availability I work with ems and asked about discount and the lady was just straight hateful said no thank you and hung up nope 1st impression is if I'm too much of a bother on the phone how will I be as a guest so cross it off my list and spend my hard earned money else where

"Overall pretty good despite the few issues.. breakfast bar was pretty good."
Carolyn J, 17 Septembre 2023

Very clean! All workers were extremely nice and friendly. Price was reasonable. Tub needed some repairs( water took a very long time to drain even when showering. Had an issue with bed Making a noise when turning over.

"Disappointing, surly front desk staff"
L L, 17 Septembre 2023

Townsend is a friendly place, so it was a surprise that the front desk staff was so surly when my husband and I stayed here the night of Sept. 12. For example, we were given one room key at check-in. When we politely requested two keys, it was given to us very reluctantly and while making a bad facial expression. Other hotels don't mind giving you a key for each person and often do it as a matter of course. It wasn't just the key, either. When we tried to ask the front desk staff other questions later on, they were not solution-oriented and instead seemed to keep coming up with reasons to be unhelpful. The desk staff seem like really unhappy people. The photos are for proof of our stay. Townsend is a beautiful, friendly town and we plan to visit again but will look for a more friendly place to stay.

"Nicely located, but neglected."
994lucyi, 16 Septembre 2023

We spend 5 days at the hotel with 2 dogs. It is pretty clean but the people responsible for breakfast aren't very creative.Every day the same scrambled eggs and sausage.Nothing else. Outdoor swimming pool is out of order as well as the fitness but how come they don't give any discount for this if they're in the offer.

"Terrible. Hotel has gone downhill."
100sherylp, 11 Septembre 2023

I've have been to this hotel 6 times over the years. Since Covid it has gone downhill. The last couple years we choose to come back hoping it would get better but this year was the worse. The two positives- location is fantastic in the cute quiet little town of Townsend. The bed was comfy. The negatives- First the room was horrible muggy, and had an overwhelming musky, mildew smell that housekeeping was trying to cover up with a floral scent spray that was heavy and didn't help. To combat the humidity in the room we turned the AC up high to pull it out, which made the AC run continuously which is was loud and noisy and obviously on its last leg. Because of this the room was quite cold. The beds only had a very thin blanket. We asked for an extra blanket and we're told there were no extras. Which makes me wonder what they do when washing linens between customers if there are no extra. We told the staff of the problem and asked if we could move rooms but we're told that the hotel was full and there were no other rooms. The staff was unpleasant For four days we were there we walked past empty unoccupied rooms, curtains were all open. The bathroom had an obvious water leak, the ceiling had mold and mildew stains. The tub was heavily stained. The towels ripped, torn and stained. In four days we did not get housekeeping. We took our own trash to the dumpster and had to retrieve our own fresh towels. I also killed two huge spiders in the room. We paid $843 for 4 nights and this wasn't even worth $50 a night. This hotel does not live up to Best Western standards. We have already booked next years trip and I have booked at a hotel down the road. I suggest you do too.

"Nothing works anymore"
birdiejeanne, 01 Septembre 2023

The pool was not usable, the fitness room was closed. Icemakers didn't work outlets for pulled out of walls in rooms. It's frightening how many things needed fixing. Don't plan on using any amenities.

"Nice, clean hotel"
Lori M, 27 Août 2023

My husband and I went on a spur of the moment trip. We had never stayed in Townsend before. The hotel was nice. You could tell that it was older but had been redone recently. It was very clean. The mattress and pillows were very comfortable. All the bedding and towels looked new and clean. Fridge was turned off when we got there so it took a while for it to get cold. The hair dryer needed to be replaced honestly. It did work though. I informed them of this on checkout. They need to purchase better paper products. All the staff was friendly. The breakfast was good. Better on the weekend then thru the week. They need more seating in their breakfast area. We ended up spending a total of about $345 for 3 nights, which was very reasonable. We really enjoyed staying in Townsend instead of Pigeon Forge. A lot quieter and a lot less traffic. We would stay here again.

"Good stay at a good price"
jesz9, 15 Août 2023

We had a really nice stay at Best Western. Breakfast was very good. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable. The pool was down but that is listed on the website. We will stay there again.

"No pool"
tobpeck, 09 Août 2023

Decent accommodations. Good breakfast. Very disappointed that the pool was not open. Still had the winter cover on it. Only the hottest week of the year. Guess it always helps to call in advance. Townsend is very quiet.

"Not good."
kalinzabele, 04 Août 2023

I've been a returning customer for 3 years, but, never again. Staff was RUDE, cockaroaches in the room and was charged an additional night I did not use after they originally charged me more than my original booking price. Scam, scam, scam.

"Best Western Earned a 10!"
t0nya8268, 04 Août 2023

Friendly staff, delish, hot, complimentary breakfast (eggs, sausage, fried potatos, belgium waffle, muffins, toast, hot and dry cereal, juice). Large rooms, comfy beds, great water pressure, loved the TV mounted on the wall), furniture appeared to be new. All areas, inside and outside of this hotel were spotless and nicely decorated. The location is perfect (for us). Highly recommended, excellent experience!

"Bad and Good"
RVtraveler2013, 01 Août 2023

The good: Hot Breakfast , clean room , Nice area. Bad: Rude-Lazy Manager and Desk Clerk. Amenities were not available: Pool out of order. Fitness Room Out of Order. Ice Machine Broken. Slow drain in shower. Mattresses very hard and too high(not for short/disabled guests). A few roaches. Wouldn't accept reward BW cards.

"Close to. Cades Cove"
OdinsMom123, 29 Juillet 2023

Most hotels in Townsend are aged. But this is part of the appeal. If you're looking for new and glitzy keep going to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Outdoor noise easy hear. AC fan would not stay on constantly. Couldn't adjust mini fridge so it didn't freeze anything I put in. Room was clean except some build-up on bathroom floor. Bed clean and comfortable. Though I didn't eat breakfast I heard other travelers in lobby speak highly of it. Staff very friendly and attentive.

"Give or Take"
ChristineBrown92, 20 Juillet 2023

We have stayed here several times and it is NOT a 4 or 5 star hotel, but it is clean and okay for one night. Staff is nice. We got a suite this time and it was big. Towels are thin, bed is hard, but room was clean and it was fine for 1 night.

"Gorgeous views, OK spot"
katiemcd15, 20 Juillet 2023

The view and surrounding location were, of course, great. The check in at the front desk was easy. The amount paid for the room was a little much considering the ice machine was broken, the bathroom had hair and dirt and looked as if it had not been clean. The bed felt dirty and was uncomfortable. The breakfast was fine in the morning, and I was happy I at least had that.

"Extremely poor customer service"
Wendi L, 07 Juillet 2023

Extremely poor customer service during check in. The staff member who handled my check in accused me of giving her inaccurate information regarding my payment methods, even though I had told her immediately upon greeting her that I would be paying with several gift cards instead of the credit card they had on file. Later that day, I also asked for conditioner since there were none in the room, and was assured it would be brought to my room shortly, however no one came to do so.

"Excellent Accommodations"
698sharis, 30 Janvier 2023

Management at this staff is top notch!! If you are unhappy with anything they want to know and will address it to try to meet your requirements. All staff are friendly and willing to help in anything you need or want. Breakfast is hot and plentiful. We stay here every time we are in this area.

"Rudest check in staff I've ever experienced"
wayah64, 23 Janvier 2023

have stayed at this property before. Was satisfied with previous visits. While checking in this last week, encountered one of the rudest persons I've EVER encountered. Certainly not representative of the brand. He was so disrespectful to my wife, obviously because she was a female. His comments spoke volumes. When he insisted that I come in to check in, I found him rude beyond expectation. Btw, we were the ONLY guests checking in. Almost left because of his unfortunate rudeness. Company is better than that. He has no business representing this company

"Great value for the price."
lunchb0x740, 05 Janvier 2023

Pet friendly and that was paramount on this trip. The room was spacious and clean with a nice sized refrigerator, more than enough to handle my family of 4. Even in off-season, there were plenty of accommodations nearby, close proximity to a grocery store, plenty of restaurants, gas stations and all at the base of the mountain. Breakfast was fantastic! I will always be a fan of making my own waffles! Well worth the money! Would definitely recommend to friends, family... and strangers!

"Quiet, clean, and courteous"
scrump11, 04 Janvier 2023

Close to attractions and restaurants but not on a busy road. Staff were friendly. The breakfast had a good variety. Water pressure is real good. Beds were comfortable. The only thing that we prefer is having the rooms open to an inside hall.

"Townsend and Cades Cove area."
Terry S, 22 Décembre 2022

Very clean and quiet motel, close to the Cades Cove area. Way less traffic and crowds compared to the Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge area. The motel is nothing exceptional, but exactly what you would expect from a Best Western.

"Best western December 2022"
jws96082983, 10 Décembre 2022

Rooms were very clean. The free breakfast was good with a nice selection. Coffee choices were good as well. The view and setting around the hotel are quiet and peaceful with little traffic. Cable tv selection was good as well.

"Falsely advertised a pool and refused a refund"
adam b, 07 Décembre 2022

I reserved a room here because they advertised they had a pool. After we checked in, we learned they did not open their pool for the season. Within 30 minutes of checking in, I talked to the front desk and they offered a full refund. The employee at the front desk even went to our room to check it and confirmed we could have a full refund. After we left they charged us for a full night stay. When I disputed the charge they lied about promising a full refund and claimed we used the amenities in the room, even though the rooms only amenities are soap.

"What a Let-Down!"
winner12, 02 Décembre 2022

We didn't decide until a few weeks before Thanksgiving that we were going to be able to go to the mountains. By that time rooms in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge were gone or were too pricey for us. A relative recommended Townsend and so we checked there. We discovered after we arrived that Best Western Cades Cove Inn used a gimme -- only one room left! What!? We were the only ones on the 2nd floor the first night we were there and there were only one or two on the first floor. The price that is quoted is a come-on, too. It is only for the first night or two; then the price more than doubles! Yes, there is a breakfast each morning, but it is nothing fancy, nor does it change very much. No, there is no maid service -- just leave your towels outside the room and pick up clean ones at the front desk. Pets are also allowed in the rooms and I don't know how much thorough cleaning is done between guests. The plumbing left a lot to be desired -- the toilet flush was LOUD and the shower dripped continuously. Yes, there is free cable and wifi, but the Friday night football games were not shown. Also, there is no elevator; so if you choose to be on the second floor, you walk up -- rain or shine! The man at the front desk was very friendly, but our visit was marred by this particular inn.

"Don't stay here"
jillziggs, 11 Novembre 2022

I've stayed at dozens of best westerns, I am not picky and am fine with a less than fancy hotel but this place is gross. Shower clogged and moldy. Roaches in the room and around property. Paper thin walls. Expired drinks in the vending machine. No daily housekeeping, which is normal these days, but they want you to put your dirty towels on the lounge chairs outside the room- wtf. I've never left a bad review for anything before but this place sucked.

"Best Western Townsend TN"
Magwillisparky, 31 Octobre 2022

Excellent service at check-in! Friendly and kind! Clean premises and clean room. Comfortable bed, etc. There was a leak in the faucet in the tub/shower which could be easily fixed! The shower curtain could be switched out for one that fits better but this is minor also!

"Extremely rude hotel staff!!"
989charlesn, 27 Octobre 2022

We were treated very rudely on three separate occasions during our stay at this hotel. Were told to leave the breakfast area before closing time when we were sitting down, finishing our meal. Were told to "shut up and be quiet" while talking softly sitting on sofas in the lobby, because staff member had to check a guest in. (We were not talking loudly at all.) Nobody was available at check-in either. Had to wait 15 minutes for someone to appear. If you're looking for Southern hospitality at this hotel, do not stay here!!

"DO NOT STAY HERE!"
TonyS160, 26 Octobre 2022

We checked into our room at 6:30 pm. We purchased dinner across the street and brought it back to our room so we could watch some TV and eat in the room since it was a long day. We realized the TV didn't work, so we called the front desk. Terrance comes up, fiddles some wires in the back and agrees it's not working. He tells us he's going to check the TV in the lobby, and will call us right back. We don't hear from him again. 30 minutes later I call the front desk and get no answer. I go back down to the front desk and he acts like he's never spoken to me before. After I remind him,, he tells me that there is nothing he can do. Obviously, he had no intention of calling us back. I ask to be moved to a different room and he says they are booked. I told him I just watched him check in three people, why couldn't he have given us one of those rooms. He said it wasn't an option for some reason but now all the rooms were occupied. I then see him check in two more people. He refuses to do anything for us, won't credit us, won't connect us with the manager, nothing. So here we sit eating our dinner in a dark room. They also only had rooms left on the second floor and there is no elevator. The entire fitness room was also out of order, but of course nobody mentioned that when we checked in. We could deal with all of this if the hotel just showed they cared at all, but they don't. Do not fall for the low prices. They are low for a reason. Truly horrible experience that ruined our day..

"simple mountain launch point"
P3541JLtiml, 24 Octobre 2022

We came from Atlanta, GA and were doing an overnight trip. This hotel was just far enough from home and well situated to give us round trip scenic view. The hotel itself is very clean with a quick check-in. Perfect place to stay if you are looking for a standard reliable hotel stay.

"A wonderful surprise"
2lhasas, 19 Octobre 2022

We were backpacking in the Smokies and needed to get off trail. A day hiker gave us a ride into Townsend and dropped us at this BW. The front desk clerk was friendly and got us into a room quickly. The room was updated and very well appointed. The beds were firm but comfortable and the room was very clean. There's an excellent steak restaurant across the street that will do take out if you want to have dinner at the table provided in your room. You can sit in the rocking chair outside your room and watch the sunset over the mountains. Breakfast was nice and the staff was attentive. Staying here was a total fluke, but a wonderful surprise. Much nicer, and for a better price than many other hotels ws have stayed at near the Smokies.

"Great location near Cades Cove, But standards have fallen, not very clean"
terryLCO, 15 Octobre 2022

Stayed here several times several years ago under different names, always great. Never again. Sad. Such potential. There was literally dirt in every corner of the room along with a long (about 2 ft.) matted string of hair that blew off the doorsweep and ended up in the room near the bath. Room was dank on entering, probably because that side faces the setting sun and it was baking the wall. Tub drain was broken and had enough hair to clog it so you had to stand in water taking a shower, didn't drain well, the strainer was loose and moving around the tub. The filter for the AC was full of dirt and lint, cleaned it to try to rid the dank smell. Not many options to eat, locals packed, drove to Maryville, about 20 miles. Also, the "Dial 0 to check out" is a farce, tried it, no answer. Went to the office and the person at the desk who could have answered the phone, also had to care for the breakfast bar, and was back in the kitchen. Looked like one person had to do it all. This place just appears to be understaffed at peak leaf season, probably to save money, but it has really hurt this place.

"Awesome Staff & Great Stay"
avillar15, 11 Octobre 2022

Complimentary breakfast was great. Room smelled clean and fresh when we arrived. Right next to smokies. You can walk toward the shell and cross under a bridge safely without having to cross traffic. There's a Restaurant called peaceful social that has great food and staff too!

"Best stay"
bmcdonald60, 11 Octobre 2022

Large room with nice fridge and microwave.. vinyl floors a plus! Double sink, plenty of counter space. Nice firm bed. I liked having a table and chairs. Great stay. The breakfast was great and the staff were very helpful and friendly.I liked the location. It was close enough to Dollywood and Piegon Forge. Far enough that you were away from all the traffic and noise. Quite place with Rocking chairs. Restaurant across the road.

"Clean, comfortable, great coffee"
Nancy P, 02 Octobre 2022

We found the hotel to be clean, comfortable, friendly and reasonably priced. The breakfast was good and the coffee was excellent. The hotel is on the quiet side of the Great Smokies and close to Cades Cove where we spent the day. There are many restaurants nearby. I would recommend it and stay there again.

"An average stay"
journalmytrips, 25 Septembre 2022

On this trip to the Smokies we decided to avoid the crowds and stay in a quieter area. We knew of someone who had stayed at this hotel and had been satisfied. I would say that our stay was just average. You can park right outside your room which is an advantage. Inside, we found the room to be dark and the chairs somewhat uncomfortable. Also all we had was hot water from the faucets but at least there was a fridge or you can get ice if needed. As for the breakfast, it was just OK. The biscuits were not replenished while we were there otherwise it was adequate. As a side note…if you plan to dine at the restaurant across the road make reservations a day in advance.

"They're trying?!"
Jenny2253, 18 Septembre 2022

Friendly staff upon checking in. 1st room had an inch of water on the bathroom floor went back to front desk, they switched us to the room next door. It appears they are trying to update it as you can smell fresh paint. The Caulk around the tub had black mold along with the sink. The floors were very dirty. Dusty everything. So could be a little cleaner. Pool and fitness room closed for the rest of 2022. Good quiet location. Can hear every move the neighbors make, the gap in the door works better than the a.c. I can hear water dripping somewhere.

"Poor attitude"
sns41985, 05 Septembre 2022

We were not welcomed upon checking in. There was a dirty floor and hair in the tub and shower wall. We stayed for 3 nights and had to go to the front desk twice to ask for clean wash cloths, hand towels and bath mat. All we got was 2 wash cloths. The food was hot and good. Good selection. We had to take out our own trash each day and luckily had trash bags with us.

"Wonderful"
jade3652009, 17 Août 2022

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Had door key problems, at which staff was at our room b4 I returned from the desk, at which they resolved immediately. Wonderful staff! Breakfast was fresh and hot, not sitting in trays for the last 2 hours! The location is just down the road from the entrance to the smokies!!! DEFINITELY a bonus!

"Mtn getaway"
wilson4670, 11 Août 2022

Was a nice place was good location, peaceful and quiet, very good breakfast friendly staff rooms were clean and very roomy, fitness center and swimming pool was under renovation other than that it was very good will stay there again

"Peaceful Area and Hotel"
Lori B, 08 Août 2022

Very clean hotel, great staff. Rocking chairs outside every room for watching the mountains change. IGA grocery very close for anything you need. Hunting, hiking, fishing & bicycle riding very close and available. Relaxing hotel!

"Horrific Experience"
bw944, 07 Août 2022

Reserved a pet friendly room online, not through a third party like Expedia or Hopper but directly on their website. Reserved here because it is a pet friendly hotel because we have a dog. Drove 7 hours to the hotel which is pretty far out and arrived at midnight with my wife and 2 kids. Clerk said he didn't have any pet friendly rooms and turned us away. I told him i already booked my room online and already paid for it. He said he sees my reservation but they don't have any pet friendly rooms. Any decent hotel would've accommodated us since it was their fault but not this one, had to drive to Pigeon Forge to find a place to stay, took going to 4 places to find one with availability. I will be filing a complaint with their corporate office and will never stay at another Best Western again . This hotel clearly has imbecile management and employees

"Great Atmosphere"
Paula A, 22 Juillet 2022

If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle and just relax but still be close to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Sevierville this is definitely the place stay. Very peaceful scenery with the mountains in view. A great choice of restaurants, shopping, tubing and a drive-in theater that opens on the weekend. I will definitely return just to enjoy all that Townsend has to offer.

"Convenient"
jfbard100, 03 Juillet 2022

Hotel is convenient to Cades Cove area, beds are confortable but room need to be deep cleaned, had to wash the dirt off after walking across room barefoot, room chair arms were sticky, breakfast was basic but good.

"Best Western Cades Cove"
ctwilson3330, 03 Juillet 2022

This hotel was a great value for the price. The room was very clean, and the staff was pleasant. Breakfast was included as well. This Best Western was close to Cades Cove, as well as many other activities and restaurants.

"Extremely disappointed"
Passenger206329, 28 Juin 2022

For $160 a night we got rude staff, no room service and no pool. We were not informed the pool was closed or we would not have booked. We were also charged $100 more than our booking quote. The room was clean, the internet worked and the breakfast was good.

"Great Location but Out Dated and Overpriced"
Randy B, 22 Juin 2022

We love the location of this motel but it needs to be updated. Rooms are in need of renovation and swimming pool is out of order. Price is outrageous for what you get. They serve a very good breakfast but it is not worth $200+. The motel staff were very helpful and did the best they could to make our stay better.

"Room Charge for Dogs Not Disclosed on Booking"
Roving23345906331, 21 Juin 2022

The overall cleanliness was great. The desk clerk on check in was rude. Trouble with the key, no bottom floor rooms available. There was an additional charge for pets. I didn't realize this so I was surprised but maybe my fault for not reading the fine print. Breakfast had a lot of options and coffee was excellent (not the usual hotel coffee).

"Classic Case of False Advertisement/Misrepresentation"
pistolpete2049, 20 Juin 2022

This hotel's website showcased six (6) pictures of its spectacular swimming pool, the primary reason why we chose to stay at this hotel with our 9 grandkids, and their parents. The pool hadn't been functional for quite some time, before we made our reservations, and won't be available until 12/31/2022. Additionally, the website indicated the hotel had a meeting room -- there was none!

"No Friendly Staff or Basic Accommodations Here"
William S, 18 Juin 2022

Staff was very rude and had an attitude which expressed a lack of caring for the guest. Towels were not replaced by staff unless you got them yourself, ice machine was broken for the entire stay, swimming pool was closed for the season although it was advertised as having a pool, deadbolt lock on door was broken, bottom of bathtub had streak marks that looked uncleaned, no one was at the front desk when we arrived and had to call the main number 3 times to get someone to receive us.

"Personal"
M7985UNsandyc, 15 Juin 2022

Special Needs room had not been cleaned. Have stayed at this location several times and was very pleased This time I understand they are remodeling but room was dirty. Bathroom had not been cleaned at all. Should have cleaned before renting.

"Comfortable stay"
Lovetravelingtonew, 24 Mai 2022

The room was very spacious and clean. The beds were very comfortable and plush. I especially liked that there were 2 sinks. One in the bathroom itself and the other one outside of the bathroom. The 3 of us didn't have to fight over who got the sink first. The doors and locks are a little dated and need replaced. I loved the country feel of the surroundings.

"Unclean and unfriendly!"
sarahrwil2022, 24 Mai 2022

Hotel room was in disrepair with crumbling bathroom ceiling, broken doorknob, broken bedsprings, and thin sheets. Staff were rude and defensive when our broken doorknob locked us out of our own bathroom. When I received a text saying our room was ready for check-in, the front staff said, "I don't know why you were sent that message. Check-in isn't until 3 pm." When I asked if I should come back at 3, he said, "I didn't say that." Very bad way to start our trip.

"My May 2022 stay"
ballmangina92, 16 Mai 2022

My husband and I enjoyed and rested well with our stay here. My only complaint is with the liquid, watery gravy. It look like cloudy water. The price was a little high for not having anything close( food or attractions. It was close to get to the mountains.

"Don't expect a pool available unless you call to verify!!!"
Sherpa597060, 14 Mai 2022

We booked this due to the fact they have a pool. Upon arrival the pool is closed with no idea when it will open. I'm sure we aren't the only people who have complained. I would not be so upset if the website had stated pool not in use yet, etc but there was no mention of the fact. Beware not to book if you are expecting a nice afternoon at the pool. Very disappointed family here.

"Very friendly staff"
ssims1121, 09 Mai 2022

The employees at this location are awesome. Terrance at the front desk was so sweet and helpful. Great breakfast, fast WiFi, clean updated rooms. We loved the flooring NO carpet in the rooms! Would stay here again.

"Nice place"
GFOHARA, 04 Mai 2022

We have stayed here several times and the guest service is awesome, Clean rooms and the staff is wonderful. Very close to Cades Cove and Pigeon Forge is 15 minutes away. The breakfast is very good and the area is kept clean.

"Quality as expected."
ClarkCreek, 28 Avril 2022

This is a basic exterior entrance hotel in a town without any major chains and the quality was as expected in an older hotel. The staff were friendly and I was especially impressed with the breakfast attendant who was constantly watching the breakfast area and restocking / cleaning as necessary. The breakfast was much better than I expected selection wise, and of course, the eggs were the usual hotel made eggs, but that is what I'd expect at this level of hotel. They did a good job. The room was adequate cleanliness wise although it did have a little mold in the upper corners of the shower and a little yucky were the pillow cases seeming quite old and having general staining. The front door also had a gap on the opening side. We'd still stay in the hotel again if in the area.

"Not up to BW standards."
dianaefarrell, 27 Avril 2022

Starting with my reservation, they charged me 10.00 more than advertised online. That would be fine only the bathroom was moldy with a leaky faucet. Coffee machine at breakfast wasn't working. Walls incredibly thin.

"Feeling At Home in the Smoky Mountains"
FarAway60872089256, 18 Avril 2022

Best Western Cades Cove Inn is our favorite place to stay when we visit the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. They make us feel welcome and "at home" from the minute we arrive. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The motel's proximity to Cades Cove is also definitely a plus.

"Needs a lot of Improvement"
614truths, 16 Avril 2022

The front desk was not very knowledgeable about the area and actually misinformed me about events in the area at check-in. I then proceeded to my room where I was given an "accessible" room that I did not ask for and the motel was basically empty. The room appeared clean but very lacking. There was no ventilation system in the bathroom, the handheld shower would not stay in place and the jetted tub had mold, there was no hair conditioner, the sink stopper was broken and full of mold, the towel hook was loose and almost fell off the door, the front door had gapes around the frame and the door would barely lock. The water pressure was so high that water almost went everywhere and the drain could not keep up with the water flow. The breakfast was bad- the gravy was cold, the waffle batter was gritty and the coffee was weak and watery at the strongest setting. The fitness center was "out of order" and the pool was closed. I would not recommend this motel.

"cades cove"
Thomas J, 14 Avril 2022

This hotel is a good choice especially for someone who is visiting the Smoky Mountain National Park because it is very near the middle of the west side of the park. However, a drive to Gatlinburg would take from 30 to 45 minutes. I would definitely stay here again.

"Don't trust the other reviews!"
platinumcobra, 31 Mars 2022

Before deciding on this location, I checked the reviews on BW and Trip Advisor. When I arrived it was late. The lobby was closed and I had to enter a closet size room that had a small window. I felt like I was at one of those motels you see in the movies, that rents by the hour and not in the safest part of town. When I checked in, I found that this location doesn't honor the BW listed price and doesn't honor Military discount. The next morning, I go to the fitness center, a listed amenity, and found a note on the door, “Out of Order”. All the equipment looked operational. Went to the breakfast bar to find a few muffins and orange juice.

"Nice rooms for a great price"
blondebeaner1422, 30 Mars 2022

This is my second time here in less than a year. Will definitely be back next year! Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Great location to Cades Cove. Quite little hotel located in the valley.

"Excellent value"
JGCudd, 30 Mars 2022

Very clean. Very good mattress. Excellent breakfast. Excellent location near Cades Cove Loop. Right across the street is a very good restaurant for dinner. One if the better 'breakfast-included' breakfasts we have found, and we have been traveling for 8 months, largely using hotels and airbnb.

"Would stay again"
Teresa E, 28 Mars 2022

Was very pleased with the accommodations. Loved the pillows and there were 4 to each bed. The staff was very pleasant and always available with a smile on there faces. They provided a full hot breakfast every morning.

"Homecoming"
Kathleen M, 24 Mars 2022

I've been here many times. Area is great but hotel isn't. Staff are rude, lazy, liars. I wanted a different room, I needed a blanket and was refused. My needs not met for anything. Price too high for midweek. Noisy and rude staff.

"Thieves and Liars"
777wcs, 23 Mars 2022

Do not stay here. They charged us $150 more for a three night stay. That is crazy. We had no idea until we checked out and our receipt did not look right. The two at the front desk were totally confused too, or at least they pretended to be, but they assured us we would not be over charged and would only be charged the amount of our reservation. They lied. And they would do nothing to correct the mistake (thievery). They are thieves and liars. Do not stay here.

"Great staff and very clean hotel"
Catherine B, 26 Février 2022

The staff here was wonderful and very helpful. My room was very clean. Enjoyed the wood look flooring and the bed was comfortable too. Breakfast was much as all hotel breakfasts. Lobby area was very clean and inviting. Internet service was excellent. I was there on business and needed that to work well. It did.

"Very Dated."
brorollins, 19 Février 2022

Hard mattress, shower drain clogged, shower head green, ceiling cracked and brown over shower and front door would not lock from the inside. Other than this it was ok. TV was ok, sink was ok, room was painted nice but dated.

"Good pet friendly hotel"
Karen B, 06 Janvier 2022

Stayed here with friend and 2 dogs. Very pet friendly and helpful! Lots of dogs were staying here. great breakfast. Perfect location in the Smokies, Restaurants and attractions are close by.. Stayed here during a heavy snow storm. Next to visitor center.

"Dirty sheets they would not replace before "verifying", non-operational fireplace, broken heating unit, loose wires"
jsim2022, 04 Janvier 2022

Do Not Stay Here! We discovered dirty sheets that they would not replace without verifying first - the kid who came to the room did not even have replacement sheets. This was after two separate phone calls to the desk and about 30 minutes later. The advertised fireplace did not work - I was told none of the fireplaces on the property worked. The fireplace itself was in disrepair - loose stones and a broken timer. The heating unit in the bedroom area was broken - you could not adjust the temp or the fan. Broken sink, loose wires around the heating units, etc. This "King Suite" was adjacent to another room where you heard the kid crying, flushing toilets and light under the door b/c the door was not sealed. I scheduled 3 days and moved out as quick as we could the next day.

"Best economy hotel we've ever stayed in! Clean and spacious"
BermudaBeth, 06 Décembre 2021

Best Western Cades Cove was excellent! We often stay in economy hotels and this was our best ever. Room was huge with a bathroom sink inside the room with toilet & shower plus another with huge countertop in the main room. Very clean except typical mildew in bathroom, consistent with economy hotels. Extra large room even though we purchased standard king room. Friendly staff of all 3 guys we interacted with during our stay. Highly recommend this hotel and will return!

"horrible deodorizer smell"
Lisa F, 22 Novembre 2021

I have always been able to depend on Best Westerns in the past, so was very disappointed in this one. The room had an overpowering scent from some type of deodorizer they used. My husband is very sensitive to these types of scents, and could not even tolerate it. He slept in the car. The staff was unwilling to check on another room and was not understanding when we checked out early. He was reluctant to give me credit and charged me for early check out. In addition, the fitness room was closed due to COVID; I feel they should have let me know that at the time of the reservation, as I depend on these facilities when I am travelling.

"Front desk doesn't care !"
Resort301206, 22 Novembre 2021

asked about using the in room fireplace, told that is not possible. That's one reason I picked the room I did. Asked for an adjustment, no deal. Called corporate 800 #. They tried to help. At check out, manager was absent, how convenient. No adjustment offered, deny, deny, deny. NEVER RETURNING

"Will never stay here again"
Venture53452428341, 16 Novembre 2021

Total mess up with checking in. Terrence, the check in clerk, was condescending in his interaction with us and refused to even look at my printed confirmation reservation documents. Someone, he blames the corperate office, entered the wrong name in their system despite my proof to the contrary. Delayed our ability to check in unnecessarily. Terrence spoke arrogantly to a family member who inquired about additional towel need. Our room had dried toothpaste spit from a previous guest on the inside of our sink. The complimentary shampoo container had been previously opened and used. The towels were rough and felt like a loofah sponge. One of the switches in the bathroom was broken. Dealing with Terrence was such an unpleasant experience, we didn't report the in room problems. Just did our own cleaning and dealt with it.

"Absolutely awful!"
kmcc987, 08 Novembre 2021

We stayed here for 5 nights. We extended the 4th and 5th nights and they upped our rate to $199 on the 4th night and $299 on the 5th night and did not let me know when I asked to extend! On top of that they have no housekeeping at all! We took our own garbage out and had to go to the desk for towels and coffee! $300!!! At a Best Western with no housekeeping service! CRAZY!

"Filthy"
levine834, 06 Novembre 2021

Stayed for 3 nights. Overall decor looks nice and the front staff was very friendly. That's about the only positives I had. Now I had multiple problems with this hotel that ranges from mildly annoying to plain nasty. -The bath tub was old, and dingy looking. There appeared to be mold on the corking. The drain was clogged and had to stand in 2 inches of water during my shower. As an aside there was shampoo but no conditioner. -Ceiling was cracked and peeling. It looks well overdue for maintenance. -TV remove only worked sometimes -The blanket was very thin and so I went to the front desk to ask for another one. She told me that was not possible. How can a hotel not have an extra blanket? -The breakfast was below average, but worse, the scrambled eggs were horrible. -Finally, about an hour after I took a shower I happened to look at the bottom of my feet and they were black from dirt! It was disgusting. Having to spend another couple of nights there I made sure to put my socks back on as soon as I got dried off and only took them off to go to bed. I never encountered this before. Truly disgusting. I have no plans to stay at this hotel again when I revisit the area.

"Good stay"
Companion488983, 01 Novembre 2021

Good stay. Travel lodge style. Called same day for reservations. No elevator. Clerk was gracious to let us get downstairs, 127. Needed a little cleaning attention but nothing serious. Blankets needed in room. Quiet location. A few Parking lot lights were out. Hot breakfast. Yay!!! My senior adults were happy.

"Great location Abysmal Rooms"
golfbravobravo, 31 Octobre 2021

In general the property is very poorly maintained. In our room, the bathroom fan did not work, the water pressure was EXCEPTIONALLY high and the curved shower curtain rail was poorly secured so that it sagged ensuring that the curtain, no matter what one did, migrated to the center of the bathtub. That, with the pressure of the water, made it impossible to shower without the bathroom floor being soaked. I don't mean a little water, I mean standing water 1/4" deep. I have NEVER experienced water pressure with such force. I reported the problems each morning as I had to replace the towels with the ones used to mop up the floor. They happily replaced the towels, but that is hardly the point. To add to the problems the bathroom fan was inoperative, so the entire room steamed up and the surfaces were extremely damp. I have stayed in worse rooms, but that one was circa $60 - this one was $314 per night (albeit a Friday in tourist season) PLUS taxes which are close to 15%. A three night stay here was over $760. The TV remote was broken, the outlet over the vanity sink was hanging off and the power for the AC was lying trailed across the floor. There was NO room servicing during the stay. You might be asking by now if there was anything good. There was! Excellent internet, the staff were friendly and the breakfast food and timely.

"Great Experience"
cliffnkathy, 28 Octobre 2021

Room was very clean, breakfast was perfect including the awesome coffee. The staff was the most friendly and helpful I have ever seen. Even spoke with the manager to let Him know He had a great team. Will be coming back again for sure.

"Rude and nasty floors"
Jamie B, 27 Octobre 2021

I spilt water on the floor and grabbed a towel to clean it up. The floors were nasty. The towel was black after cleaning it up. It hadn't been mopped. And cockroach on the wall. Guy at desk was rude when I told him and showed him the pictures. All he could say is ma'am you shouldn't have use our towels for that. And was arguing with me about how their rooms get cleaned every day. I told him they were nasty and no they don't get cleaned every day

"Just passable but serves the purpose of namesake"
HolyTraveller, 26 Octobre 2021

I am a Gold member and stayed in a number of BW locations. BW provides value for the money but thats about it. Cades Cove Inn is no different. +ves Best scenic location with rocking chairs outside the room to enjoy. For people like me who want to stay away from the commotion filled, pricey getaways like gatlinburg. best value for the location The 2Queen beds i stayed was roomy and the beds were comfy. There is an extra sink and mirror outside of the bathroom which we really liked as it saved time. -ves The check in process was horrible. Even though i made my reservation on BW website and gave my credit card details, they were not forwarded to the hotel staff onsite. To top that off the night duty staff onsite was a newbie. She or the system onsite could not charge my credit card and it put my reservation on hold after attempting multiple reservation charges. She couldnt figure out the issue and she was really going crazy handling a bunch of other issues with other guests that night. She finally called the supervisor and he walked her through the process. All this took one hour or more. They need to fix this system. Its an Inn means a Motel style. I got a room on the second floor and so there is no lift. The stairs are outside and carrying my luggage up the stairs almost hurt my back bad. the beds were not normal height and so the elevated beds were a discomfort for my kids and wife. Also the bed sheets under the comforter had some brown spots. I assume they were not cleaned well. Even though the room was big the table in the room was so small barely four people can sit and eat on it. The floor is tile. People like me used to carpet may feel uncomfortable. The microwave in the room was functional but the time dial was broken. i had to use my own timer on cell phone. All in all it did serve my purpose as my main goal was to beat the crowd to the cades cove loop in the national park early morning.

"Nightmare wedding anniversary"
Arun k, 15 Octobre 2021

STAY AWAY!! ABSOLUTE DUMP!! I thought of making my wedding anniversary special by the booking 'King suite' for my wife and our beloved pet. I was looking for a luxurious stay in the mountains which was also pet friendly. I booked through expedia, and no where was it mentioned that the king suite wasn't pet friendly. The idiots in the front lobby behaved as if this 'king suite' was a freaking palace and said that pets were a strict no no. They downgraded us to a normal room and didnt even bother to offer to compensate for the rate difference. This place is a MOTEL!!! Definitely does not deserve to be called Best Western. I paind $360 for an absolute DUMP of a MOTEL!!

"Wonderful"
cynthiaa740, 11 Octobre 2021

Our stay there was very comfortable and peaceful. The hotel is in a good location to the area. The staff there was friendly and very helpful! We stay there every year when we visit the area. Always look forward to going back!

"Very Poor Service"
dleemon, 03 Octobre 2021

My wife and I made reservations several months before our arrival on September 29th, 2021. A few days after we made reservations, I called this location to request that our room be a ground level room. I have a problem with my back and legs. I spoke with a man who had an accent that told me no problem. He said the room we booked would be downstairs and he would go into their computer and put in my request. So, everything was set. So we thought? When we arrived on our check in date, my wife went inside as she made the reservations for 4 nights. As it was taking her a while to come out, I went in. Best Western had emailed us five $20.00 discount coupons that could be used at the time of check in. It said on the coupons use at the time of check in and gave instructions to the front desk clerk. Well, this is where it started going down hill. My wife handed Trevor, the clerk, the email of the discounts to apply to our room. He acted like he didn't know what to do with it or how to apply the discount. When my wife asked him questions, he was short with her and said she should have used it when she made the reservations. She said no, it said on the email to apply at time of check in. Again, Trevor was short and unwilling to help. In fact, my wife asked for it back and she would call Best Western headquarters direct and get it handled. Trevor didn't want to give it back to us. I asked him to make us a copy but he wouldn't. My wife said forget it and we will just call the home office later. So then, Trevor handed us our key to our room and said, our room number is 201 on the top floor. I said no. We are suppose to have a ground floor room. Trevor said, that was the only room left. I told Trevor I called to make sure we had a ground room that this isn't right!! I need a ground floor room. Trevor just stood behind the counter and smiled. He just stood there not helping us? We took the key and walked out to our vehicle to go to our room. We grabbed all our luggage and made the long trip up the steps, no elevator, to our room on the top floor. When my wife opened the door, she called my name saying the room is dirty!!! The bed had not been made up, the bathroom was filthy and floors needed to be swept. So, my wife stayed outside the room as I went downstairs to talk with Trevor. I went in and told Trevor about the room and our dissatisfaction of the process of checking in. Trevor just stood there with a smirk on his face. He said and did nothing to help us. I then said I want to speak with the manager. He stood there for a good while before picking up the phone to call the manager. I spoke with the Andre Levy and he wasn't any help either. I explained how bad the whole checking in there was. He said look, we can get someone to clean up the room in 30 to 40 minutes. I told Andre at this point, I want one night free for all the inconvenience we have experienced. He said no. I asked for a discount. He said no. I hung up and tossed the phone back to Trevor. Trevor said there was nobody in housekeeping to clean our room. I walked out and went back upstairs where my wife was waiting. She was already on her cellphone trying to get us a room elsewhere. After about 15 minutes, Trevor slowly walks upstairs to look at the dirty room he put us in. After he does a walk through, he turns and walks out. I asked him what he was going to do? Again, he just smiles and starts to walk away and then turns to me and said, I canceled your reservations. My wife asked Trevor why he was not trying to help us? Trevor said it was not his hotel and he didn't care. This has turned out to be a terrible experience for us. We were devastated by the manager and the employee as to how they made us feel. Each Best Western is independently owned and not a chain managed hotel like a Holiday Inn or Hilton Hotels where customer service means something. We thought our vacation was ruined. However, my wife was able to get us the room we needed at the Talley Ho Hotel. They were awesome!!!!!!!! They gave us a room on the ground floor and it was clean. Any questions we asked, they were eager to help us. The employees at the Talley Ho are great. So, if you want a great stay in the mountains, "DO NOT STAY AT THE BEST WESTERN CADES COVE INN....Trevor and the manager Andre Levy, DO NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER CARE AND SERVICE!"

"CHECK IN FROM HE!! DO NOT STAY HERE "
KristiandTom, 30 Septembre 2021

I made a reservation for my husband and son to stay here for 2 nights while on a father-son motorcycle trip. We have stayed at this very hotel for many years and have never had a problem! My husband and son rode their motorcycles 5 hours earlier tonight to get there and finally arrived just before midnight. When my husband went to check in, my husband told him that I had made a reservation for them (again, like I've done many times). The clerk did not ask for the name, did not ask for the reservation number, he immediately asked "where's your wife? I need to see your wife in person." Um, what?? My husband then calls me very upset (it is after midnight by now). My husband asked for his manager but was not allowed to speak with the manager. My husband asked for the clerk's name and he refused to tell him his name. Did I mention that the hotel had already charged our card for the nights stay? Very very upset customer here!! I have never had an issue like this with any Best Western or any hotel for that matter!! My husband has BW gift cards to use for part of the stay that we got for staying at other Best Westerns. I guess he'll be dealing with that later. This hotel has always been our stop when we're in the area but not after this! ~~very upset BW Gold Rewards Member here!!

"Comfort, Location and Economy"
Kay_Ar_Tee, 30 Septembre 2021

A nice option at a great price. The room was spacious and clean, with a VERY comfortable bed, good lighting and plenty of power outlets. The staff were friendly and helpful. I also liked that there was outdoor seating and free breakfast.

"Vacation in the Smokies"
suzannel564, 27 Septembre 2021

The owner and staff are amazing. Great location and great breakfast. It was close to the entrance of the Smokey mountains and had access to local restaurants and activities. It was friendly vibe that made you feel appreciated.

"Quiet, clean, beautiful room"
acewhitearabian, 16 Septembre 2021

Sat on the back and watched some people load hay as the sun went down, had an excellent steak just across the road, beautifully appointed, clean room. Quiet and restful. Will definitely recommend and stay here again.

"Great Place to Stay !"
patriciaanne262, 05 Septembre 2021

Our stay at Best Western was great. The room was clean and up to date with all COVID rules. The room was large and everything was in working order. The hotel was quiet and close to restaurants. The breakfast served was great.

"1st Time Stay"
nealsharp2011, 02 Septembre 2021

I, and several other guests had to wait 15 minutes before any employee showed up at the front desk. All the amenities were closed. No pool or fitness center. The exterior of the building needs some fresh paint. It is in a great location, but I was disappointed in my first stay as an awards member.

"Pictures are deceiving."
lisawandyou, 29 Août 2021

The only thing this hotel has going for it is the restaurant across the street . Steak & Trout. Very good food .Pool not open .This Location is Run down. The pictures online are deceiving. I would go back to the restaurant across the street, But not stay here .

"Sending our daughter to college"
lisadoyle15, 26 Août 2021

We just left our daughter in Johnson City Tn for freshman year of college and needed a peaceful place to stay for a couple of days to get our thoughts together and what a jewel of a place in Townsend Tennessee for relaxing. Would definitely stay again!!!

"Smoky Mountail Balloon Festival Weekend"
swbohanan, 23 Août 2021

Hotel was clean and nice. How breakfast served each morning. Location was very east to find and very coinvent to area we were visiting. Only disappointment is that pool was closed already for the season and this information was not advertised.

"Not happy"
huffmanjanine1969, 19 Août 2021

The staff didn't know how to check us in. They tried to submit multiple charges (each night individually charged instead of 1 total charge) on my credit card and my card declined the multiple charges. The pool was closed and covered & it was HOT! The ice machine was not working. There was black mold in the shower. We also had someone knocking on our door at 12:30 a.m. and when front desk was called, they were not very helpful. Police were not called. No security cameras or security personnel. This is a Motel not a Hotel…

"Closest to Cades Cove (AC perfume overkill, bugs)"
Jamiesc01, 15 Août 2021

The closest stay to Cades Cove, but the AC vent (perfume) spray was SO headache strong (thankful for rocking chairs out front to get fresh air), had half a dozen roaches and spiders to kill, bathroom dirty (black grout spots), clean linens atleast. AC was either to hot or freezing and has a mind of its own. Nice front desk, didn't stay long enough for breakfast. Gym/pool out of order again.. same as last years visit.

"Disappointed"
linbill2015, 12 Août 2021

We booked this hotel with the idea we could use the exercise room and the pool. The temperatures were in the 90s and we were looking forward to relaxing by the pool after a busy day. However both the pool and exercise room were closed. Nothing was mentioned of this ahead of time. The breakfast was good and well stocked. Personal very nice. Rooms clean and nicely stocked.

"Terrible Internet Service"
hollyc366, 08 Août 2021

We booked this location for its location. When we arrived we learned that it has outside room doors. I'm not a fan. Cleaning was when you wanted it. Could be daily or not. They need to fix breakfast. Yes its free/included but its the SAME thing EERYDAY. We stayed for 6 nights. By the end I had had my fill of eggs, sausage links, biscuits and gravy and waffles. Yogurt was intermitted, NO FRESH FRUIT and I found the toaster about mid week. There seems to be a very nice family who runs it except for the attitude looks from the male housekeeper. They gave us the wifi name but no password. Terrible service in the whole area. Disappointed that the pool and amenity center were closed.

"What ~ noo pool in the middle of a hot summer"
Cowellboy, 08 Août 2021

Our experience started with the check-in. It was slow and seemed less than professional. The first thing that I noticed on the way to the room, was that the POOL WAS CLOSED and that the exercise room was closed also. The room has been remodeled since the last time that I was there _ the new fixtures n the bathroom were a great upgrade. Two of the upgrades that I wasn't happy with were the floors and the beds. Starting with the beds. I am 5'8" tall and I literally had to jump to get in the bed, and when I sat on the side of the bed, my feet were 4 inches from the floor. You don't need an 11 inch mattress and an 11 box spring. The second thing was the floors, although everyplace is going to the wood looking vinyl floors, I don't like stepping out of bed onto a cold floor. The carpet used to be more comfortable. We were booked for two days but our key cards were programed for one day ~ we had to go through the process again ~ this time it didn't work, so the manager came to the room to correct the problem. It took about a half an hour in all. Altogether, I would be hard-pressed to book here again. PS: The breakfast was as good as usual! PLUS: I am still waiting for the 6:30 wake-up call

"Horrible customer service"
lmlowery, 05 Août 2021

The staff was the rudest I've ever dealt with. The man at check in was rude and dismissive and the woman who checked me out never even look at me or spoke a word. She just printed my receipt and handed it to me. The sheets had stains and the rooms smelled like cigarette smoke

"Dirty and misleading"
gkirk1213, 03 Août 2021

Don't inform to you about the pool being closed upon reservation. Out if the 3 nights not one day was our room serviced at all. Had to buy our own toilet paper. Staff was very rude. Housecleaning was on cellular devices more than cleaning the rooms. Absolutely no 9ne around delivered to this hotel now we know why.

"Unclean and extremely Rude"
Just-business-travel, 02 Août 2021

Each time I visited the front desk I had to wait at least 20 min. for the desk manager/clerk to arrive. Each time he was extremely rude and condescending. The room was ok at 1st glance but as my wife and I looked we found the vinyl floors were wet but it must have only been water and no cleaner b/c they were still filthy. The shower still had long black hair stuck to the walls and grime around the floor baseboard. The pool was closed (nice picture on the website though) and the fitness center was closed for no apparent reason. DO NOT stay here unless you truly like to be spoke down to and stay in VERY unclean rooms for $279/night

"Between Pigeon Forge & Winchester"
BrakeForMoose, 02 Août 2021

Easy to find location & very friendly/helpful staff. On a main route but quiet as the inn is set back. Good spots to eat for the evening. Loved Black Bear Cafe for dinner. Appreciated balcony w/seats at inn to relax for evening. Tuckaleechee Caverns was our morning stop before heading to Winchester, TN. Recommend first available tour as it was busy. Appreciated BW morning breakfast options.

"On the way"
johnkirksey32, 31 Juillet 2021

Adequate room, was clean but nothing fancy. You might have a broken sink stopper but nothing major. Breakfast is very good. The landings are painted dark blue which caused my partially blind doggie real problems with depth perception.

"Nice stay"
badddowg, 26 Juillet 2021

Bed was a little hard. Being located next to the stairs was noisy, but that was expected nothing against the hotel. Hardwood floors was a nice touch. Everything in the room worked fine. Lighting in the room could be brighter.

"AVOID! filthy floors in the rooms and incompetent management"
binarystatic, 19 Juillet 2021

On first arrival everything seemed ok. It's a budget hotel so I wasn't expecting much. But then when I went in the bathroom and pulled a towel off the towel rack, two dead bugs fell out from inside the folded towel. Ok I thought, this is the countryside and the countryside has bugs so I'll give them a pass on that. Then the next morning I spilled a bottle of water on the floor so I got a fresh towel out of the bathroom to wipe it up. Much to my horror the towel came away black from all the dirt on the floor (see the photo). I didn't think I had walked on that area with my shoes on so to double check I wiped the floor in the far corner of the room where no one would possible ever walk. I was in complete shock when the towel ended up even dirtier there. The entire floor was completely filthy! I spoke with my mother who was staying in another room and she told me that she had been walking around her room barefoot after her shower and the bottom of her feet ended up filthy as well. I decided to inform the management so I took the dirty towel up to the front desk. There were no staff to be seen and no way to summon anyone either. I stood there for 5 minutes while I could see several members of staff walking around the back office area, occasionally looking my way but completely ignoring me. Finally one of them walked out into the lobby area and I was able to ask to see the manager. I proceeded to show the towel to the manager and explain that not only was the floor in my room filthy but so was the floor in my mothers room. At this point a random woman who I didn't know that was also in the lobby spoke up and said that the floor in her room was also dirty. Instead of acknowledging the issue and apologising, the manager first asked “To what standard are you comparing our hotel room floors? Your floors at home?” I thought that was a rather odd question as I would actually expect a hotel room that I just checked in to to have cleaner floors than my own back home, and I told him “Actually I am comparing this to the level of cleanliness I would expect from a hotel establishment, especially during COVID times.” He then started making some weird excuse about how it was a public building and there are lots of people walking around. At this point I did admittedly raise my voice a bit (but in no way shouted) – really? There are hordes of people walking in the far corner of the private room I just checked into? Three people in three different rooms, including some random woman I don't even know are telling you that your floors are filthy and you're just going to keep standing there denying it? He then tried to deflect from his own incompetent managerial skills by calling me rude for raising my voice. At that point I realised the conversation was going nowhere so I walked out and left him with “be prepared for the reviews”. Well here it is, dear sir. Your establishment is filthy, you clearly are unfit to run a hotel, and customer service is clearly a concept that has completely passed you by. I just thank god I had only booked one night in this nightmare of an establishment.

"Great location but very dirty motel."
Don N, 13 Juillet 2021

Sadly to say, breakfast was probably the best part of our stay. Unfortunately pool was closed, fitness center was closed, exterior of building and walk ways are extremely dirty, dirt in the corners in the room, room door has large gaps between door and frame - you can see into the room through the gaps and bugs can get into room through the gaps and under the door as well a smoke smell from people smoking outside the rooms. This place is in major need of repairs as well as interior and exterior updates.

"July 2021"
nlhuddleston, 10 Juillet 2021

We left another hotel because of cleanliness (there were long hairs on the bath tub walls & room smelled musty) & did not receive type of room we booked. That hotel person said we would not be able to find accommodations in the area. Best Western was right down the road. The man at Best Western was very helpful, checking us in early, allowing us to have breakfast, calming me when I could not find my drivers license right away. Friendly staff, clean rooms, good breakfast choices - we will definitely use this hotel again.

"Excellent location in Townsend"
Bennett C, 10 Juillet 2021

Pros- great location, clean modern room. Parking free, close to everything, beautiful location in mountains near restaurants and tubing Cons- pool was not working, step was under repair making it unsafe to go up the steps

"Hmmm"
BoardingPass558622, 10 Juillet 2021

The bathroom was not clean. Multiple hairs were found in the bathtub in plain site. I'm not sure if any of it had been cleaned except fresh towels. We also had to ask for more toilet paper. The lady at the desk was extremely nice. Breakfast was good.

"Rip off"
rainerhA2091DV, 08 Juillet 2021

Resv made via email. 440.90. on CK out 461.65. after several promise to rebate within 5-10 days. Did not provide credit for gift card. Customer service response does not exist. Called hdq passed back to CS. Always busy. Left msg to call. After two days tried again

"Better than expected"
fsunoles96, 07 Juillet 2021

The room was newly remodeling so it looked very nice. It was nice having tile flooring planks made the room feel cleaner without nasty carpet in it. The only issue we had was the drain was clogged in shower and sink in the bathroom. We didn't have high expectations for a Best Western and this one exceeded it with it being remodeled recently.

"Disappointed in this BW"
Sue M, 01 Juillet 2021

This BW is not up to the Plus standards. Bathroom had mildewed shower curtain and clump of hair on floor. Oversprayed frebreeze was stifling. No laundry facilities, pool was closed and safety hazard with crumbling concrete on a step edge going to second floor.

"Had a wonderful stay"
Matthews65236, 25 Juin 2021

The rooms were Very clean, the beds an pillows were so comfortable. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. We had everything we needed, plenty of towels an HOT WATER, the shower was Great. It was convenient to everything. There was coffee All day.

"Vacation in the Smokies"
donnawS275OUB, 14 Juin 2021

This was an average hotel which is fine. It was clean, mattresses were comfortable, and staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was great. I only had one problem. My husband and I took our two 4 year old grandchildren. They were looking so forward to swimming. We got ready and went to the pool. The pool was closed because of COVID and we were told it would not be opening anytime soon. We chose this hotel because the pool had a slide and we knew the kids would love it. What I thought was really strange is that pools were open everywhere else in Townsend and Pigeon Forge. It should have said on the website that the pool was closed.

"cades cove best western"
ddenginehg85, 14 Juin 2021

anniversary trip, had a great time,we stay at this place every time,no disappointments,go get breakfast and bring some bottled water with you if you are a heavy drinker, exercise room closed probably due to covid

"Great room for great rate"
t0nyab7, 11 Juin 2021

We have never stayed in Townsend before, but this Best Western is a gem! The rooms were clean, staff were beyond helpful, bed was comfortable, breakfast was amazing and we will stay again! You won't regret staying here.

"Won't stay again"
blake2421, 03 Juin 2021

It wasn't horrible but I won't stay again. We called ahead to let them know we would arrive in an hour and check in was still painfully slow. Once I finally received the keys I walked upstairs to the room to find out the keys had not been programmed correctly. I traveled back to the lobby and waited another 15 minutes on keys for another room on the opposite side of the hotel from where we parked. The rooms felt dingy and were poorly lit. The hard surface floors felt sticky and unclean. The next morning breakfast consisted of half of what should have been out due to a delivery issue.

"Average stay but good value"
Curious20356773512, 31 Mai 2021

Although this hotel appears newer that most in the area it is still a limited service and average quality experience, however it is one of the most inexpensive hotels in town. Friendly service and clean rooms. One light and AC outlet next to a bed did not work. Bathtub water did not turn completely but it was a great hot shower. Cellphone service is poor in this area. Outside doors do not shut tight and large gap under doors between rooms. Strict check-in time and no access to office between 11pm and 6am. Good value for a very short stay.

"Close to Cades Cove"
deew4, 25 Mai 2021

The staff was amazing and very helpful. Cades Cove entrance was less than 5 miles. The pool wasn't up and running but it was to cold for us to swim anyway. The breakfast was a full Continental, with hot and cold items.

"Subpar"
barkeki, 22 Mai 2021

While the hotel staff was very kind, the room was not clean. Additionally there was a large crack around the door through which bugs were entering the room. We were charged the pet fee per pet vs per day, as the policy states on the best western website. Front desk staff shared that they were aware of the discrepancy, but their owner set the policy for this property. Given the condition of the property we chose to check out early despite having to fully pay for both nights, as well as the misleading pet fee. I would not recommend staying here.

"Nice place "
MaDukes407, 20 Mai 2021

Rooms were clean beds were nice and they have a good hot breakfast in the morning ,, staff is also very friendly, I would definitely stay there again they also have a pool which we didn't use because it was fairly cold outside but all in all a really nice place

"Great place to stay!"
FarAway60872089256, 18 Mai 2021

BW Cades Cove Inn is always our first choice when we go to the Smoky Mountains! The staff is friendly and helpful and they make us feel like family. The room is always clean and smells fresh. The breakfast buffet has something for everyone. FIVE STARS!!!

"resort price for mediocre accomodations"
57rambler, 16 Mai 2021

This appears to be a refurbishment of an older motel and for the most part they seem to have done a good job. However, the actual room--or at least ours--was mediocre. The bed was comfortable and apparently a new unit, but there was little else in the room in the way of furniture, just a small table in one corner of the room with two side chairs, plus a chest-of-drawers/refrigerator/wardrobe unit. There was no couch, typically found in a kingsize bed unit, nor was there a desk. The floor was not carpeted but rather an imitation hardwood, which in what was actually a rather large room was a lot of bare floor. The door did not close tightly--light was visible all around the perimeter--so this room would be drafty and cold in any kind of winter weather. The hotel does not have inside hallways. " We reserved with Best Western online, and being BW frequent fliers, we expected good quality for the premium price in this resort area. After we checked in we discovered that the rooms were being offered at a liitle more than half of what we were paying. When we inquired with the manager, he told us that was because we had reserved early. The way to get the best price at his hotel was to reserve, then cancel and rereserve when a lower price comes up. Just keep going to the website. Pricing, says the manager, is "like the airlines." It changes. So if you decide you must simply experience the mediocre accommodations at Best Western Cades Cove Inn, be sure to game the system on price.

"Unfriendly and unhelpful"
Flyer713221, 09 Mai 2021

I would not recommend staying here. When we asked for more pillows, we were told that they don't have extra pillows. There were roaches in our room. The night staff were very unfriendly and didn't want to be bothered.

"The only saving grace is it's location."
FamilyMemories8290, 21 Avril 2021

A real status quote inn. Reasonable updates have been made, but it's age still shows. When roomed at the furthest point from the stair case, it's almost a 1/2 mile walk for breakfast. The food is status quo.

"LOVELY LOCATION"
bbqbyron1941, 16 Avril 2021

Wonderful manager...wonderful rich laugh....kind. Room excellent except for thin walls and transfer of noise of TV and voices of people in next room. Beautiful location. Beds excellent, all amenities for room excellent. Would be nice to have a non-skid tub for elderly. Didn't eat breakfast because we made our own in the room, but what I saw the morning I checked out looked adequate.

"Horrible horrible hotel. Do not stay here. Save your money."
adelinelamb, 11 Avril 2021

If you want the smell of marijuana in your room, dirty sheets and disgusting room, and noise all night, then this is your hotel. Such a waste of our money. So disappointed in this hotel and best western. We love BW and this is a shame.

"Excellent location in the Smokies!"
KimWelmhurst, 11 Avril 2021

This Best Western was charming. They had rocking chairs outside the doors to view the setting sun over the Smoky Mountains. Staff was professional. The little town of Townsend was quiet and serene. I would book again!

"Do not stay here!!!"
686staciaw, 08 Avril 2021

The GM has NOO customer service. Couldn't get into our room until 6 PM. Even though we had reservations the night before. This whole place did nothing to make our stay better! Do not stay here- there are other close motels!

"Not clean!"
East_Tennesseean, 07 Avril 2021

We have stayed at this hotel before. But under this new management. It does NOT have the same quality of care or cleanliness. The rooms were not clean and when I say not clean I mean there was still waste in the toliet! The mirror still had toothpaste spots on the it and the sink was NOT clean. We went to the desk and they offered another room. We waited a few minutes and entered the other room to find HAIR on the walls of the SHOWER, along with mildew on the bottom shower curtain AND a pillow had a dark spots on the pillow case. We called Best Western customer service and after an hour of waiting and complaining on the phone. They finally cancelled the rooms and we moved to another hotel!!

"Family trip ruined."
amiec808, 23 Mars 2021

The worst filthy place to stay. You cannot walk barefoot, because your feet will be black from the filthy floor. We had four rooms and every room was the same. The door knob fell off and the toilet squirts water from the bottom of the tank. There was mold in the rooms. They refused to refund the money so we could get a proper hotel to stay. I will be in touch work corporate. The picture of the dirty wash cloth is from my granddaughters feet after 5 minutes into our stay.

"Quite retreat, clean rooms, friendly staff"
Jessica F, 21 Mars 2021

We stay at this hotel several times a year when we want to slip off for the weekend to the GSMNP. The hotel staff are always kind and helpful. The rooms are very clean. The hotel itself is centrally located in Townsend and right outside the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.

"Nice clean rooms, helpful employees"
osoinachro, 09 Mars 2021

You will be glad you stayed at this Best Western. We were happy to find no carpet in the room which made us feel the room was cleaner than most rooms. The bathroom was roomy and there was lots of water pressure,

"Excellent stay as usual"
snydercooke, 25 Janvier 2021

We love to stay here when we travel to the mountains! The staff is always amazing and the rooms are very nice! We have been staying here on vacation for 8 years now. Our only complaint is that the beds are too firm for our taste, although our friends think the beds are perfect.

"Gone Down Hill"
sngbrd, 17 Janvier 2021

I've stayed here before, but have noticed a serious decline in the quality of this place. You can hear every single thing through these paper thin walls, including phone conversations, bathroom noises, and others. Plus, since pets are allowed, you might have to try falling asleep to a dog losing its mind at 10 pm. The paint on the ceiling of my room was peeling, which looked gross, and the overall feel of the place isn't great. Won't be staying here again.

"More like “Worst Western”"
Olivia_Adventures, 03 Janvier 2021

From a rude welcome to start to leaving on empty stomachs, this was a terrible experience. There was bloody snot smeared on the wall by my bed, multiple large bugs we had to kill, thin blankets, and a dirty towel still left from the previous guests. To top it off, there was no breakfast in the morning except coffee & juice and all amenities were closed “due to covid” even though they clearly care very little about cleanliness due to the shape of the room & the front desk worker not wearing a mask. You'd be better of staying in a cabin or a tent than being out $150 a night for these conditions.

"Rude Clerk, Bugs, & No food "
oliviacook94, 03 Janvier 2021

The front desk clerk was rude, we found and killed two large bugs in our room, there was some kind of bodily fluid (either blood or snot) smeared on the wall by my bed, and there was no breakfast provided “due to covid,” without any notice that there wouldn't be food in the morning. Way overpriced for a dirty, rude, no-amenities hotel. Do not recommend.

"Clean and Friendly"
Robyn C, 16 Décembre 2020

They provide rocking chairs outside the rooms for guest use. I felt safe at this property. The beds were slightly noisy (metal legs) but not too bothersome. You can hear other guests next to you and outside of your room.

"Apathetic Staff with very high rates"
shep0606, 02 Novembre 2020

Spent four nights there while attending workshop at Great smokies Institute nearby. The two clerks we encountered were never friendly nor tid they offer anything that we did not have to request. You had to go to front desk to get clean towels and trash liners. The place was acceptably clean but antiquated fixtures and terrible lighting in the room. We asked for an additional lamp, and they indicated nothing like that was possible. We are always concerned about BW. Some are very comparable to a Courtyard or Hilton Garden while others are way below that level, and this was one of those at the bottom. Breakfast was only juice, coffee and oatmeal. First restaurant type hotel since covid that has not had some choice of cereal, energy bar or something to offer for breakfast. They would not even allow you to sit at one of their tables to have your coffee even though there was ample space for social distancing. The only reason for two stars instead of one is that the room was clean.

"Spacious rooms"
Tourist631695, 30 Octobre 2020

Friendly employees. Spacious rooms. Great location. Only complaint is you can hear the people in neighboring rooms, especially because of the adjoining door in suite. Bring a fan to drown out noise. No breakfast.

"Excellent Hotel"
donnacC6040ZV, 30 Octobre 2020

This hotel is our go to when we stay in this area. The rooms are large and clean plus have a good smell when you walk in. The gentleman at front desk is friendly as well. The scenery around is gorgeous plus have rockers to sit out by your room to add a extra bonus to enjoy God's country. The only complaint i would have is the beds are a little bit hard but not enough to stop me from coming back. The pillows are very comfortable Close to several restaurants & stores plus several places to go to to sit by the river. Definitely will be back

"Absolutely poor customer service, also, nothing special about this hotel/property."
goeasyinparadise, 25 Octobre 2020

First of all, when I called to book this room from B/W Corporate, they lead me to believe that I was getting a room at $161 per night (Special B/W Member Only Price). Later found out due to weekend rates it was raised to $269 per night, for the last 2 nights, WHAT! Why didn't they make that clear to me in first place. Also, front desk staff not friendly or courteous, I informed one of them there was only 1 towel in room for 3 of us, he then brought out some towels but did not offer an apology or even an excuse, I mean really, is it so hard just to smile. All 3 occasions I had to deal with those males (at night), they acted as though they were burdened. I mean really, now these hotels are becoming like the airlines, PAY MORE AND GET LESS, they no longer offer any sort of cleaning in the rooms, breakfast is extra light (coffee and oatmeal) and no pool or jacuzzi either. Well, I wont be staying at any more Best Western Hotels, they can have their crumby Members Only Prices, Man, WHAT A RIP OFF for just a mediocre room.........Do yourself a favor, don't stay at Best Western Cades Cove Inn or any other B/W Hotel.

"Great location and hotel"
stephanienO3187KD, 12 Octobre 2020

We booked online for a weekend getaway. We choose this hotel since it was so close to Cades Cove in the Smoky Mountains. We got a awesome deal on our room. Was very skeptical of booking online and not seeing the room first. Was pleasantly surprised with the room. Very clean and big. Had clean bathroom and didn't smell bad. Wood floors was a plus and it even had rocking chairs on the balconies to sit and look at the Mountains. Excellent location surrounded by the mountains. Townsend less than 1/2 mile away. Beautiful stream close by. River rafting, local craft places and mom and pop restaurants also. Would definitely go back.

"Great Location and Staff!"
helencarter2020, 23 Septembre 2020

We love to stay here when we are taking our twice yearly trip into the Cove! The accommodations are very comfortable and the staff is friendly! While COVID limited the breakfast, there was plenty of hot coffee, and you could make instant oatmeal if desired. It was sad not to see the Lobby filled with people ready to start their days in the mountains, but can't be helped as the staff ensures safety during these strange times.

"NOT what it use to be!"
Lesa T, 17 Septembre 2020

We TRIED to stay there. However upon entering the room we found the toilet had not been cleaned and still had a small amount of "waste" in it. The tub shower looked dirty and the mirror had spots on it from what looked like toothpaste splatter. So we went to front desk and the person there was nice and apologized. He moved us to another room. After a few minutes of inspection. We found hair on the walls of the tub shower and the shower curtain stained with dirt. This time we called the Best Western customer service. They canceled our reservation and we went elsewhere! We had stayed there before, however it was more than a year ago, with no complaints. But we will NOT be back!!

"Definitely not the BEST Western"
stormipc, 15 Septembre 2020

1.) Hundreds of dead bugs all over the bathroom counter and coffee maker. 2.) Old chunks of a previous customers food stuck to the floor by the tables and the table and chairs themselves were sticky and nasty. 3.) The breakfast boasted on this site and their personal site isn't actually available, though they still charge like it is and do not inform you of this until you have checked in. According to them it was for health and safety, even though they still offered a self-serve coffee and juice bar. 4.) Despite the rooms being unclean themselves, the gym was also closed during the stay due to "covid health and safety" 5.) The pool was closed earlier that week, even though it's a selling point on the site, and even though it was still in the 90s. 6.) When I asked to switch rooms, they simply said "we will come clean it" and just swept and mopped the area that had the most food chunks. Didn't even clean the table or the counter covered in bugs. 7.) A lot of the electrical fixtures didn't work. One outlet was fried. The main overhead light didn't work at all, not one of the wall fixtures. 8.) The door had a massive gap that let more bugs in along with outside sound and made cooling the room a feat.

"good location clean/quiet"
teresacM8495QS, 03 Septembre 2020

stayed at BW Cades Cove Inn 9/2/2020 rm #103 clean /quiet Bed was very comfy/ got to bring out small dog too! Near Cades Cove which is always such a pretty drive, and did River Rat tubing and our dog got to go along just less than 2 miles down from hotel! Andre at the front desk was very friendly and welcomed us.

"False advertisement"
Dan T, 24 Août 2020

No Breakfast, At check in told would have breakfast at 7am to 1030am went down at 8am the only thing for Breakfast was coffee and juice. The first room would not open, the second room the key card had to be turned at a angle to work. The room had a musky odor.

"Website not updated- many features not available "
442camdena, 23 Août 2020

We picked this hotel based on the website description. The room was nice, spacious, with a king bed, a little older but fairly clean. It had a jacuzzi tub but when we used it, brown-red dust (we're assuming rust) poured out from the jets into the water. We picked the hotel for a pool, based on the website. The hotel pool was closed. Manager said closed for the season. Every other hotel pool up and down the parkway was open- we saw them as we drove through town. When we checked in, the front desk told my husband when breakfast was. We arrived at that time and there was no breakfast. Again, the website does not say the pool is closed and breakfast is canceled. If you want to make changes based on COVID, fine, but update your website and put signs up so people can pick another hotel if they choose.

"room didn't feel inviting"
Safari663313, 16 Août 2020

room did not feel welcoming but cold (not temperature) tile floors did not feel good but damp and sticky even in the morning. Bed was not comfortable. The best thing about the room was the A/C unit was quite.

"Would not recommend "
704DianaB704, 10 Août 2020

Once we arrived we ask about adding a second night if we decided to stay and was told would be no problem. Cked in and room was okay so unpacked and went back to book second night. Now I was told we would have to move rooms for second night so we agreed. That night when we showered the water ran out of tub so slow you felt like you were in a baby pool. I forgot my flip flops so walking across room my feet got filthy. Moved the next morning to a different room. Had to flush toilet at least four times and again, floor were filthy. Told front desk about plumbing problems in both rooms and about dirty floors. The guy at front desk said they do complete clean every 6 mths. Will not return.

"The worsted experience in my life."
joshgI3140RN, 30 Juillet 2020

this was unreasonably bad! We found a blood hair and snot filled tissue inside the made bed. When I called the office the man that answered was absolutely terrible. He was rude said he wouldn't replace the linens "I'm not going to do that" he said. He said it was easier for him to change the room, so I asked to where since we are on the top floor at the end of the hall and there is no elevator. He said "to another room" as rudely as someone can. Now im pissed off and I say "I don't need your attitude " so this person says "ill give you attitude if I want too" this is the front desk by the way. The same teenage punk that was rude at check-in. Needless to say we left as I called corporate to file a complaint. All after 10:30 pm. This is happening in the midst of the COVID19 pandemic.

"Spacious rooms, but not clean floors"
SOONER3196, 24 Juillet 2020

We were driving through and needed a place to rest. This hotel is older, but the rooms have been updated and are very spacious. The floors however, were not that clean. We had chosen this place so the kids could swim and relax. Unbeknownst to me, I was informed that the pool was closed due to people not being able to social distance themselves. But the river was suggested as an alternative. It is an ok place to stay, beds are comfortable, but low water pressure for the shower. Can't wait to get on the road again!

"CADES COVE VISIT"
webbfoot, 23 Juillet 2020

Our purpose for staying at Best Western was so we could get to Cade Cove at opening. Check-in was quick by very friendly Staff Member. Rooms were very clean and quiet. Great location to Cades Cove. While in the Cove we saw 20 Turkey, 26 Deer and 12 Bear. Best Western met all of our expections, will stay here again.

"Pet friendly"
Sherpa23547690999, 23 Juillet 2020

We would have checked out and went somewhere else however there were no other pet friendly rooms in the area that we could find. The bathroom had built up urine around the bottom and smelled The staff were extremely friendly

"Great stay in Townsend, TN with Best Western"
annieprice2020, 15 Juillet 2020

Fantastic Jamaican guy checked us in. He was very knowledgeable, efficient & personable. Helped us with anything we wanted. The rooms had been converted to hardwood flooring, which was very nice. Due to covid, there was no breakfast; only coffee and juice, but there is a wonderful restaurant across the street, which was very good.

"Exceeded our Expectations"
205janetw, 14 Juillet 2020

From check in to check out, the staff was extremely polite and helpful. The rooms were very clean and when we needed extra towels or pillows , they were immediately brought to us. The location is very convenient to other attractions and were near good restaurants. Just wish the "pandemic" guidelines were not in place, so we could have enjoyed the pool and the complimentary breakfast. We will most definately return someday.

"Great Place to Stay"
kaywieny, 27 Juin 2020

My daughter and I wanted to visit a quiet side of the Smokies, so we stayed here in Townsend for three days the week of June 22nd. Loved the room, it was clean with plenty of room to move around and the beds were great. With Covid going on, there is no morning breakfast nor are you able to use the pool, but you've got a nice swimming hole just a few minutes away at Townsend Rye, or there's a few different tubing places in town as well. Hotel staff will not enter your room during your stay to be prepared to put your trash out, linens, and just let the front desk know. Or Garfield, who is one of the hosts/guest services- if you happen to see him cleaning an empty room. All you have to do is ask, and they WILL take great care of you. Loved our stay here.

"A Great Stay with a Good Location"
Janet S, 27 Juin 2020

The location of the hotel was excellent and the hotel itself was exceptionally clean and well kept, particularly for a hotel that is pet friendly. The hotel manager and his staff were also very nice and accommodating. We were a bit disappointed in the room rates during this time of Covid 19 at $89.10; $98.10 and $170.10, respectively for Wed, Th, and Friday nights because there were no amenities other than hot coffee. There was no housekeeping service, no pool, no work out room and no hot breakfast. And, although we understand why we think it should also have reflected in the nightly prices for the rooms. Would stay here again.

"Great firm beds, no bathroom exhaust fan"
Mally_LaPete, 23 Juin 2020

Great firm beds with nice new bedspread but old crummy blanket underneath. Overwhelming fake clean scent greats you as you open the door. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. New furnishings. A/C worked great. Terrific relaxing view from our 2nd story rm 228 which is the last one in the back, on the left side as you look at the hotel from the road. A pair of rocking chairs for each room line the corridor. In June 2020 there was no room service, breakfast bar or pool due to COVID-19. The roughest towels ever, but plenty of them. Extra large mini refrigerator froze our ice packs overnight in that tiny freezer portion (yeah!). Sticky room chair arms, and hair in the bathtub were cleanliness hickups I found a little unnerving. The Timbers steak house is right across the street and had a 2-hour wait at 5:00 pm EDT on a Saturday night. We ate at Riverfront Restaurant twice: it has terrific waitresses and service but barely acceptable food quality (everything fried or out of a can except the green salad; they do serve frog legs though). New restaurant called the Pancake something had delicious pancakes that hit the spot; don't expect much more. And lastly, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park was restorative, lush upon lush, and not a piece of trash or downed tree limb in sight. Impeccable landscaping everywhere. Cades Cove was a traffic nightmare on a Saturday afternoon; Roaring Fork was too. By the way, there is all new pavement throughout the Park (as of June 2020). A real luxury to drive. Go in peace.

"Great Location"
Gatorman90, 22 Juin 2020

Room was clean enough but the floors were really dirty. You couldn't see it because of the type floor, but if you walked bare foot you'll see it. Nothing some swifter attention couldn't cure. Nice because it accepts pets. They do need to make the doors a bit more secure IMO. Exterior of building and grounds are well kept.

"Don't go during COVID-19 - misleading website"
EnochWallace, 22 Juin 2020

This was our first trip since the COVID-19 pandemic started, and we came because we planned to hike in the Smokies during the day. The Best Western website brags about "Our Commitment To Keeping You Safe And Healthy With Industry-Leading Cleaning Standards." They promise "new protocols minimize guest contact...streamlined check-in..." and "Enhanced sanitation procedures..." and "Sanitizing stations or wipes will be available throughout hotels" (they say that twice, repeating"Hand sanitizer or wipes will be provided for guests and employees in all public areas" and, instead of breakfast, "Enhanced ‘Grab & Go' offerings will be implemented in most hotels providing guests with pre-packaged food and beverage options." None of those promises were kept in this hotel. The only difference in the lobby was a plexiglass barrier between the clerk's face and mine, but with plenty of room above and below for infectious aerosols to circulate. The clerk did not wear a mask. The only hand sanitizer in evidence was a bottle I saw behind the front desk, not for public use, and I did not see sanitizer or wipes for the public in any public spaces. Yes, the breakfast room was closed, and no, there was no "grab & go" offering instead, or anything else. The room was what you'd expect for a $75 a night hotel, including ceiling paint peeling from an upstairs leak. Glad we paid only $95 plus tax per night for Thursday and Friday. On Saturday the rate would have gone up to $195 per night, which would have been robbery for this room in this hotel. To be fair, the room was clean, the sheets and towels did not look worn out, the few furnishings were not chipped, and the floor was not carpeted (carpeted floors are almost always filthy in cheaper hotels). Did they clean the room according to the new housekeeping standards? Maybe, maybe not -- we had no way to tell. There was no signage to indicate any changes. Thankfully we brought our own gloves and spray disinfectant, so we thoroughly cleaned all touch points before moving in. In case anybody cares, the pool is closed and still has its winter canvas cover. Summary: not recommended if there are other options. Especially not recommended during the pandemic.

"Terrible!"
14TD, 13 Juin 2020

1st off at check inn I was told no breakfast. To this I was not surprised because of the virus and it being Buffett style. But there pool isn't open! When I asked why I wasn't told this while booking “I don't know mam' we r supposed to tell people”. No compensation was offered except that I would walk across this busy highway about 1/2 mile up the road to get into the creek! Wth! I will NEVER spend money here again. In fact best western in general have just went down to where staying in them is questionable. Please make sure you are getting what u want! I wanted to put no stars but trip advisor doesn't allow it.

"Do not stay at this hotel."
gr82btnvol, 26 Mai 2020

My room had a very bad strong odor. The drain in the tub drained extremely slow unless you held down the lever. I informed the hotel and they did nothing to fix the problem. I rented 2 rooms and the other room shower had old shampoo and soap in it from the previous tenant. The floor felt very sticky!! It does not seem like the they clean it very well. The guy cleaning the rooms stopped us as we loading the car and actually asked us if we were going to leave a tip in the room for him. Because he asked, we did not leave a tip. As we pulled out of the parking lot, he stared at us and threw his hands up in the air disgusted. Not very professional to me.

"Beds comfortable -Service extremley POOR!!!"
gail22222, 24 Mai 2020

Note I have worked in the motel/hotel buissness myself for over 20 years. Very dissapponted with the poor service. Clerk could not tell me how far Cades Cove was even though motel called Best Western Cades Cove also knew nothing about the Apple Valley restraunt-I believe it is called -that is a fairly popular restraunt in the area and only a little ways down the road-could not tell me where it was. Being by myself and having no cell service in the Smokies I wanted to at least call home and tell someone where I was but was unable to call out even though I could call he front desk-yes I was dialing the 9 first as they asked me several times and yes I had paid with a credit card. I personally believe they did not have my phone turned on for me to make long distance calls even though I called them repeatedly about this. No breakfast due to pandemic which is understandable but believe clerk should have told me that upfront and not after completely checking me in. Beds very comfortable, rooms had been renovated and decent. Lighting could have been a bit better. More overhead lighting would have been nice. I called the desk at 11pm when a beligerant drunk man in he room next to me was physically fighting with other members in his party. At 1:59 the police were there dealing with his guy for about an hour-just ouside the window to my room so I heard it all. Traveling by myself I don't generally like outside rooms by especially wasn't very comforable being given a room so far from the lobby when it appeared their were many vacant rooms closer. Although beds were comfortable and I was looking forward to a good nigth's rest after a very long day-my nerves were rattled more than a bit after I was startled awake by all the ongoing commotion in the room next to me. Clerks did not seem to care much about my concerns and manager himself would offer no compensation whatsoever which might have helped to turn around a Very Negative Experience!!!

"Amazing"
508DavidG508, 20 Mai 2020

Newly remodeled nice rooms with laminate floors no icky hotel carpet. This hotel is a gem in the sleepy little town of Townsend. The staff are friendly and helpful. I love staying here! I think this is a family ran business and it shows!

"Super cute place."
sophiaandmomxo, 13 Mai 2020

I used a free night and was charged for it in assuming by accident but being a former BW employee I,would think audit would catch it, but mistakes happen. Waiting for a return call to get my refund. Rooms were super cute great decor very spacious and quiet. Door was a bit hard close though you had to slam it. Overall I will return.

"No one at front desk for 20 minutes!"
shaunkeeney, 11 Mai 2020

I arrived here and waited in the lobby for someone to check me in for over 20 minutes before deciding to leave and get lunch. Also... They charged me a separate 20 bucks for a dog, after their third party site had already charged me for it. (Or... The third party added 42 bucks onto an 83 dollar room charge for no reason) also found a cockroach in the room before checking

"Not bad"
ChristineBrown92, 29 Mars 2020

Stayed here before and it was good this time. Very cheap because of the virus. Very friendly. Breakfast was grab and go but it was fine. Room was clean and place was quiet. Love the rocking chairs outside to sit and look at the mountains.

"double the nasty"
sfinley1970, 24 Février 2020

We stayed for one night only. we checked into the room pulled back the covers to find the bed was never changed from the previous guest. dirt , hair and skid marks on the bed. we called the desk, the young man jump to help moved us to a up[stairs room., he was a sweet person and helpful. but to my disappointment this room was nasty as well. the bathroom was full of hair. the floor was covered in hair. the tub the toilet and the toilet leaked. sad part was we had to make the best of it due to the area being sold out for Valentine day . now the young man that was so helpful, offered me back all my points i used for the stay. the man i talked to when i checked out also said he would check on my points. no call from the manager, no email from the manager.i called BW for help . i have yet to talk to the manager and when i called bw back to check on my points that needed to be refunded. the manager had told BW (Best Western) i agreed to 500 points. LIE.LIE LIE i cashed in 20 thousand to stay at this nasty nasty hotel. I ended up calling BW back to get this resolved. chance it if you will but as a BW GOLD member i know how this should of taken place and i know that the BW CADES COVE will not miss my business but i will never stay again or send anyone to them,

"Look elsewhere. "
JoeyBowman, 05 Février 2020

I do 2 to 4 hotel stays a week while traveling for work and Best Western is the only chain that I seem to run into issues with reservations with. This location being no different. We booked the room via the BW website 5 days before our stay. On the day of our stay at 430pm someone from the hotel called to tell us that they “were over booked”. With a condescending tone he said “I don't know who you booked through but the room has already been booked”. We straightened this issue out but it still added extra annoyance and stress to our trip. The room was clean overall besides stains on the couch. The color scheme and decor just wasn't inviting. Breakfast was “ok”. No better or worse than any other complimentary breakfast.

"Much improved since last year"
rwtamt, 24 Janvier 2020

The hotel has been remodeled since our last visit. Rooms are nice and comfortable. Front desk was friendly and breakfast was good. The room had new vinyl flooring which is very slick. The beds are very tall, and a short person can easily slip when getting out of the bed. This could be dangerous for elderly people.

"Great weekend getaway"
Joyfus76, 10 Janvier 2020

I had a wonderful trip. I had my dog with me. They had a large dog area at the back of the motel. The breakfast buffet was a wonderful addition. The beds really high. Overall, the trip was great. I can't wait to visit again.

"conveniently located"
frogyaker, 02 Janvier 2020

the staff was very friendly and helpful. the hotel was very clean. we wanted out of the normal beaten path and it is definitely that! the breakfast was really good. lots of options. the worst part of the stay was that we were in an outside room right next to a metal staircase. lots of noisy travel up and down the stairwell.

"Good clean hotel away from maddening traffic"
hobojonoto, 30 Décembre 2019

My wife and I and two of our granddaughters (4 and 6) stayed Friday night and Saturday night the last weekend of 2019. There were almost no rooms in the Pigeon Forge at that time and I made reservations on a Thursday night (I wasn't sure how many of the girls would be with us until late in the week) . When we checked in Friday night there were no vacancies even though this hotel is about 15 miles from Pigeon Forge. Check-in was quick, the room was clean (no smells) beds were comfy, and the free breakfast was everything you could ask for....we were late getting to the breakfast area but all items were in supply. There are a number of restaurants nearby, several recreational activities and Cades Cove is just a few miles away. Given the crowded weekend, this was an excellent choice. We will certainly consider this hotel on future trips.

"Great nights rest and breakfast"
stephaniesB7934EC, 28 Décembre 2019

We needed a quiet and safe place to relax with five kids after a busy day in Dollywood. This place was perfect! We had hot showers and then cozy beds to rest in. Then an awesome, warm breakfast the next morning before heading out again. Will be back again!

"shower head"
Bob M, 11 Décembre 2019

the shower head was a trickling felt like I was in the shower for an hour or 2. the beds were almost completely worn out would be nice to see bigger bathrooms. other than this the room was very comfortable, and if you're not the one covering the $140/night well...........

"Not Bad"
carver0507, 07 Décembre 2019

Stayed there last week ..not bad but had a crew of tree cutters in the motel so noise was alot early on ..but settled down ..Not a bad stay..great location in Townsend and room was clean and tidy and no problems with room at all

"No problems"
GlenQ_12, 04 Décembre 2019

Stayed 12/1/19 till 12/3/19 was suppose to be there another day but plan's change. Checked with front desk about leaving and said no problem. Room was very nice and clean. Front desk people were very nice. Breakfast was great.

"Best Hotel Chain Around"
Ryan4108, 04 Décembre 2019

Always enjoyed my stay at Best Western. Stayed in San Diego and Cade Cove and both location were second to none. Cleanliness, a great staff, and great additions makes this the only decision over any other hotels.

"Fine for a one night stay"
Pumpkincupcake, 24 Novembre 2019

We stayed here for one night in early November after arriving in late from Knoxville airport. For the price we paid, it was exactly what we needed for somewhere to sleep for the night, but not the type of place I would likely want to stay for much longer. It's a basic hotel for sleeping in and it was super close to driving the Smoky mountains (which is why we picked it). Breakfast was offered, but quite basic - waffles, toast, a few hot options, and cereal.

"Great place for pets too"
Departure601767, 20 Novembre 2019

Nice and clean. Staff was wonderful . Great location in Townsend. Rooms were impressive. Had everything we needed. Great place for our pet. Spacious Area out back for her. Pool looked nice. Hope to enjoy in a summer visit.

"Great place to stay in Townsend"
bonniew375, 20 Novembre 2019

We enjoyed our one night there. Ate across the street at an excellent steak restaurant. We could see the Foothills Parkway from their property, and the hotel clerk told us how to get there. Our stay was quiet, and breakfast was included meat, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, plus healthy choices.

"Great place stay "
30RichardS30, 18 Novembre 2019

What a wonderful place to stay, large rooms, great views and convenient to restaurants! Breakfast was normal fare but really nice way to start the day. Rooms were quiet and comfortable beds made for a good night rest.

"Rooms great morning desk pathetic"
psam6, 14 Novembre 2019

We called for a reservation sometime ago and it went smooth, and we needed a first floor room for the husband who is somewhat disabled and was told to contact the hotel before we arrived. I called and was greeted by a young man who definitely has no people skills. I told him we requested one on first floor when we booked and he repeated himself it's not their policy to give it. I called later after he was gone off shift and was greeted by a nice young man who said it was in my booking and he reserved one for me then. On the day of leaving we had coffee and asked if he had more cup holders because the coffee was hot and he says yeah and sits and doesn't move. The day before the hot breakfast had good eggs, great sausage but frozen gravy on the bottom. When I said good morning how are you, he was a grump. Again no people skills. Bed was nice but very high, pillows good, but the heat lamp in bathroom was broken. Except for the grumpy guy it was ok.

"Rocking chairs for everyone!"
Barbara M, 14 Novembre 2019

Fine, nothing to really complain about. Comfortable room, clean, for us it was a place to sleep. Nothing outstanding, either. Breakfast was adequate, close to many restaurants, and the drive to Cades Cove. There are NO liquor stores here, though. Wine and beer, yes, but you need to drive about 15 miles if you want a bottle of something else (FYI-forwarned)

"It bit overrated"
cincycamper, 11 Novembre 2019

The room met my basic requirements, which doesn't take much, but could have been cleaner. The desk lamp, dead bugs and all, looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. And, there were ball of hair under the desk in the corner of the room. Fitness room was closed. The breakfast buffet was good....variety of hot foods, cereals, yogurt, juices, etc. I would stay again, but wish the room received a bit better care.

"Dr"
518judyi, 11 Novembre 2019

Can't say enough good things. Head staff man was just great. Very nice and accommodating. The head of housekeeping was awesome. She always was nice and did a good job. Breakfast man had the food out piping hot and always checked to replenish!! Room was good. We had. Our 2 dogs with us. Huge back field for dogs to play. It was great

"Close to the Great Smokey Mountains."
wmschwalb, 04 Novembre 2019

We usually don't make reservations ahead of time like we did on this trip.It worked out real well. After calling Best Western reservations after our trip a lady named Haley got the whole thing fixed. At least I think she did.

"Landscape photographer"
DBHead, 03 Novembre 2019

In general terms, the room rates for Townsend is much more than Pigeon Forge for the same type property. $152.10 (AARP rate) is just too much for a three star room. I could have stayed in Pigeon Forge in a nicer place for 30%-35% less. Because of my pressed schedule I went with Townsend, but often divert to Pigeon Forge because of price. On a positive note, this property was only $3 more per night than several two star rooms (and offered breakfast).

"Will return!"
hrglaze, 02 Novembre 2019

Tho we've been to Cades Cove many times we have never stayed in Townsend! This hotel was very clean, very modern, and perfect for our visit! We will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family!

"Outside great, room not completely cleaned"
sparkswanda, 29 Octobre 2019

Again, the room was not properly cleaned. Dog hair all around the couch and under the coffee table. Fireplace did not work. I would like to stay here again but the room will be inspected before I pay my money.

"Don;' expect a room and service to match what you pay."
DonM808, 28 Octobre 2019

Although they have invested a lot in renovation this past year, expect motel 6 level of room comfort and details. They have a lovely location near Cade's Cove in GSMNP, they have not taken care to manage the details of operation you might be accustomed to for BW. Staff seems to be untrained or lack social skills. Don't expect usual modernizations like USB charging ports and sufficient lighting. Furniture was of low quality and comfort in our King Suite.

"Updated and Clean"
Exploration797608, 26 Octobre 2019

Stayed in Townsend away from crowds several days. Property showed fresh painting and was clean. Room had unused connecting door with light showing from adjoining room and could hear those even though voices not loud. Breakfast offerings never changed so recommend planning to eat elsewhere some days for variety. All staff were very friendly and helpful.Breakfast area gets crowded as there are not enough space and tables.

"The quiet side"
Larry C, 23 Octobre 2019

Excellent quiet and convenient location, clean facility that has been upgraded and modernized. Comfortable beds, stylish decor and bright rooms. Breakfast was very good. Staff overall was nice. Good value.

"Bear Watchers"
Paul S, 23 Octobre 2019

If you are visiting the “Peaceful Side of the Smokies”, then consider the Best Western, Townsend, Tennessee. The entrance to the park is 5 minutes away and the Secret BackRoad to Pigeon Forge is 30 seconds away.

"Great Accommodations"
mhea2n1, 23 Octobre 2019

Large room with firm but comfortable beds. All tile floors (no carpet) were clean. Dual vanities/lavatories were nice. The bathroom was clean with outward curving shower curtain bar to keep the curtain from clinging to you while you shower. Water warmed quickly but need care to adjust temperature. Lighting in the room was excellent with ample usb and electrical plugs. Overall the property was well maintained and updated. Very pleasant experience to stay.

"Best place to stay if you are going to Cades Cove"
Venture44419017580, 20 Octobre 2019

Great hotel. My room was very clean and appeared to have been recently rennovated. The staff were really friendly and very knowledgable about the area. The breakfast provided for lots of options, including hot food.

"Pet friendly and clean."
Butterflydays, 20 Octobre 2019

When traveling with a pet one searches for a clean place to lay their head. This inn fit the bill nicely. Good water pressure in the shower. Comfortable bed. Minimal pet fee. Nice grassy areas to walk your dog. Breakfast was good, too. They have updated their rooms. Quiet area with nice views. Restaurant right across the street from inn.

"Won't be back, has potential bit missed the mark"
applemartsCo, 14 Octobre 2019

Limited options in the town, won't consider this one going forward. The fitness center was closed and no work was being done to repair the failed machines. The pool was empty except some shallow water that was incredibly dirty and the nose from the other guests was unbearable door to the paper this walls. Can't believe I paid over $200/night for this place.

"Clean and comfortable"
Diane H, 12 Octobre 2019

This is not a fancy hotel, but the rooms were comfortable and clean, the breakfast was good, and Andre, the young man at the front desk is absolutely perfect in his job. He was very personable, helpful, and made us feel right at home.

"I'd Stay Again"
Gatorman90, 11 Octobre 2019

Cleanliness is always a priority no matter where you stay. This property was clean inside and outside. The room was nice size, bed was comfortable, (firm mattress though). Staff was courteous and friendly. Breakfast basic, but good and FREE. Location is great and much more peaceful that the crazy Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area. Suggestion to travelers: bring your own soap and shampoo. (Most of us do anyway) Would I stay here again? Absolutely! (And they're pet friendly)

"Nice location"
cathybB177MQ, 08 Octobre 2019

Nice location on the "quiet side of the Smokys" Breakfast just so-so, need to vary menu for those staying more than one night. Close to Smoky Mountain National Park entrance, not too far from all the hubbub in Gatlinburg/Pidgeon Forge area, making this an ideal location for various day trips.

"Do not waste your money"
bbhudd, 27 Septembre 2019

Worst best western we have ever stayed in. Beds were queen size (actually doubles) hard as rocks. Bathroom had mold. Mold on the ceiling. Smelled funky. Eating area was very unclean. No bagels. Coffee was ok. Hslf and half was spoiled.

"Awesome"
leekel2013, 25 Septembre 2019

Best place ever to stay. There is nothing I could complain about. Breakfast was hot and everything was delicious. Friendly staff. Both the checkin and checkout staff members were very friendly and helpful.

"Great Place to Stay"

Met with a smile when checking in. Room was clean and comfortable. All staff were friendly. Breakfast was hot with eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, cereal and waffle mix. All was good. Would stay here again.

"Wonderful stay"
lennieucla, 21 Septembre 2019

Cade cove service. Room was open and clean. We received 1st level and fridge and microwave as we had requested. Desk signed us up for best western rewards. In a few moments. Breakfast was more then the usual muffins and cereal. We had potatoes eggs, biscuits, sausage and everything was hot and fresh

"Good place to stay the night!"
Lynanne L, 13 Septembre 2019

This was one of the nicer Best Westerns I have stayed in over the years of traveling! It was very clean and seemed recently renovated with newer updated decor, furniture and bathroom fixtures. The breakfast in the morning provided a wide selection to choose from based upon your desires. Cost was good for an evenings stay. The best part was the walking/biking path the city has that allowed me to walk one way and back completing 4K and if time allowed would have gone beyond hotel the other way and made my 5K for the day.

"Slept on the floor"
westw00d10, 12 Septembre 2019

When we made these reservations we clearly indicated on line we needed a roll-a-way. A week before we left on the trip we again contacted BW reservations to confirm this. When we arrived we were told they had no request and "all their roll-a-aways were broken and never replaced".. This was late in the evening and other hotels were not nearby. The desk clerk was not helpful and a call to BW national reservations did not help. We were given a blanket and pillow so on young man with us could sleep on the (hardwood) floor. Both the local and national BW folks were not helpful. BW needs to get its act together or this rewards member is history.

"Please"
mwalls2011, 03 Septembre 2019

Awesome view. Rooms were clean. Pool was clean. Staff was friendly. They did a good job keeping the food fresh and stocked in the morning. Very accommodating and made sure my mom and I got rooms next to each other even though I arrived a few days after she did. Very pleased.

"Clean Property, Ideal Location"
dj M, 27 Août 2019

We enjoyed our stay at this Best Western. Property was clean, Pool was refreshing, Fitness Room was down for maintenance during our stay but we remained very active in the area. Staff was efficient, helpful, and friendly. Room had a humid feel possibly attributed to high temperatures in the area.

"Zero Rating Because BW Made Us Sick"
Cynthia C, 21 Août 2019

The front desk allowed the patrons next door to our room to use a charcoal grill, which was placed in front of our air conditioner unit and with 2 feet of our door. The air recirculated fan in the bathroom runs continuously and pulled the smoke through the crack around the room door into our room. I called to report it as soon as I smelled the smoke and was told the next door patrons had permission to use the grill. Within 10 minutes I had to use my rescue asthma inhaler three times, and finally went to the office to demand another room on the opposite side of the hotel or a full refund. I was never given any report form to complete when they gave us a different room. My husband and I were both sick within days of the smoke exposure with sinus and respiratory infections. It's now three+ weeks later, and both of us are still sick, even after going to see a doctor. Best western now claims they have no report from us and that the grill was on the opposite end of the building from our room. If they don't have a report, then how can they say where the grill was located. We have incurred over $500 in medical bills because of this experience. I will never stay here again, and would give them zero stars if I could. I will be seeking some legal advice on this matter. Their management should know the dangers of charcoal grilling, ie... carbon monoxide poisoning, because that is just common sense. Because of their negligence, my husband and I have now been sick for over 3 weeks.

"Smokies visit"
Rg1891, 06 Août 2019

Good location to visit Cade's Coves and take the Scenic route from Cades Cove to Gatlinburg via the Little River Road. Great Burger joint on the left about 2 miles down the road headed toward the Smokies. The hotel had a good breakfast and the room was clean.

"Great hotel, great value"
lisaS1748KB, 03 Août 2019

Hotel rooms were spacious and decorated nicely. Our son had fun at the pool and really enjoyed the slide. The hotel is in an excellent location. Breakfast had a variety of options. Even though we were only there for 1 night, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

"First nights of vacation"
ShellyMN78, 05 Juillet 2019

We booked online. When we checked in they couldn't find our reservation. Their computer showed it had been cancelled, but the GM and the lady working took care of the issue and got us booked into a room very quickly. The room was beautiful, clean and very comfortable. The breakfast the next morning was more than expected with hot and cold choices available. This is a place I will definitely plan to revisit in the future.

"Clean Hotel"
hunter R, 24 Juin 2019

HAD A GREAT ROOM,Clean,Receptionist nice and courtesy. Our only fault was re made reservations in advance for 2 rooms on first floor. My wife has a heart condition and cousin bad knees.Their is no elevators at this hotel. When we arrived they had our rooms on second floor, and the receptionist Needless to say did not write down our floor request. Needless to say we were very disappointed. So make sure about your reservations.Would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the mess up.

"Excellent stay"
WillieG12345, 23 Juin 2019

Wonderfully kept and maintained property. Excellent service and amenities. Close to restaurants and attractions. Great for families.stayed with friends on a motorcycle adventure trip. Excellent riding in the area.close to the tail of the dragon, foot hills parkway, and Smokey mountain national forest.

"Nice Roomy Room"
BlackRoseCher, 16 Juin 2019

Nice stay at this Best Western. Close to the park entrance. Also right across the street from a great steak house. Breakfast at Best Western was average. A recommendation is to have some nuts, berries, cranberries or raisins to add to your oatmeal.

"Clean, comfortable hotel in a rural location, with Cades Cove section of Great Smoky Mountains N.P. nearby."
Frederick S, 13 Juin 2019

This is a very enjoyable, stress free, pleasant way to enjoy the Smokies. The hotel has clean, comfortable rooms, good hot breakfasts, trouble-free internet, and very helpful staff. There are several good restaurants nearby. There are chairs provided outdoors where you can sit and enjoy the surrounding scenery. There are no traffic/parking/overcrowding problems here. The Cades Cove section of Great Smokies National Park is nearby.

"A Slight Dip for a Good Hotel"
magnoliawoman, 13 Juin 2019

I have stayed at this location several times over the years and have always been pleased. Recently, however, it may have gone through a change in staff or management. The staff gets an A++ for trying to accommodate a request for 1st floor - especially as there is no elevator. However, the dip begins after that. Breakfast was not on par with past experience. The staff person in charge of cooking/serving/maintaining the breakfast was not there. Eggs were really dry and hard cooked; biscuits were very brown; gravy like pasty water. Muffins/danish were hard as well. Missing was the fruit. Tables/floors were not regularly wiped & swept. Rooms have been renovated but the floors are not being properly mopped. So while they don't look dirty, white socks and feet come up black after walking on the floors. I love the rocking chairs that have been provided so evenings outside are a delight. Beds are comfortable and the hotel is relatively quiet. I recommend this hotel as "base camp" for Smokey Mountain activities.

"Life saver!!"
Odyssey13832267337, 30 Mai 2019

Life saver!! We were originally booked at a hotel in Pigeon forge, it was not like the photos on booking.com it was GROSS!! Thank goodness this was available!! They were clean, comfy, wonderful!! Whew!!

"Not Bad Really"
ChristineBrown92, 22 Mai 2019

Stayed here before for one night and it isn't a bad place. Rooms are clean, rates are good, but you can hear the people in the room next to you loud and clear. They need soundproof walls. Bathroom is always clean and room is comfy.

"Good experience!"
lorettal715, 28 Avril 2019

Office personnel was very friendly checking in and out. Room, very clean. Bed, comfy. Bath, good pressure, plenty of hot water. Breakfast, hot-good-tasty. Its our go to place to stay in Townsend. Highly recommend!!

"The second time around really disappointed me"
Cowellboy, 26 Avril 2019

When I checked in the hostess said that I was on the "quiet side" of the hotel. I got room 107, right next to the fitness center. When I got in the room, the first thing that I noticed was that the lighting left very much to be desired, The area near where you hang your clothes had no lighting at all. The lamp on the table had only one of the two bulbs working. I would like to think that if you pay this much to stay here that you would have the latest electronic connections available, no usb ports available here. The fitted sheet on the bed kept coming loose since it appears that they got new, thicker mattresses. The person in the room behind me had his tv up loudly, There were two motorcycle groups staying the one of the two nights, one with quiet european bikes and one with Harley's. The Harleys left at 5:45 am with all their noise! I put the do not distrub sign on my door and they entered the room anyway ~ emtying the trash cans and taking the dirth towels ~ not sure what good using that sign was!

"Not a smooth check in"
michellea1228, 24 Avril 2019

My family traveled from FL and advised hotel we would be arriving late (12-1am) and was told not a problem. There were strong storms in the area which caused downed trees and power lines which stopped us from getting through on 321 to Townsend. I called to explain the situation and ask if we could get a refund since the deputies advised us to turn around and go back to Maryville. She said she could not cancel our reservation so we said we would try to get there. We decided to wait out the accident since we already paid for the hotel. When we finally arrived I went into the night checkin and rang the bell. I could hear a TV on loudly. I continued to ring the bell and call for almost 10 minutes. I finally just rang the bell over and over. She (Toni?) finally came to the window. When I gave her our name and told her they finally let us through, she seemed annoyed and said she already canceled us. She had to make a phone call to fix this. She acted as if we were bothering her-I'm guessing we woke her up?? Had we known she could in fact cancel our reservation, we would have turned around and found another hotel. The hotel was lovely, but their front office staff leaves little to be desired.

"Very nice"
Cruiser18840, 24 Avril 2019

Room was clean and nicely decorated. Very peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed everything about the trip. Staff was very friendly, hotel was clean and quiet. It is easy to find and centrally located to everything in Townsend. Easy to get to Cade's Cove.

"Ride in the mountains"
46Switchback, 14 Avril 2019

Had a great time riding the Foothills Parkway. The motel is in a great location to do about anything around the mountain. the rooms are great the service is the best. Nice clean place to stayand enjoy your self.

"Nice Hotel decent rate and breakfast, LOUDEST ROOMS EVER"
Syrak001, 21 Mars 2019

I have stayed in many hotels and many of those best westerns. The breakfast was typical of what you expect for a hotel. The rooms are decent size and recently updated. But the room volume HOLY &@$? Everything in the room is insanely loud; the door take a slam hard enough to wake the dead to close it, the faucets sound like a small waterfall, I can not only hear but distinguish all neighbors conversations, the bathroom door is equally as loud, there is no weather seal around the door so I can clearly hear cars pass on the road 500-1000 feet away. No matter what you try to do here EVERYTHING is extremely loud!

"Well worth the price"
Steve H, 05 Mars 2019

Nice place. I was a little worried about the old school outside doors. The hardwood floors I really liked, along with the fireplace. Everything was nice, the couch could be updated. The location was great, just what I was looking for, I will return.

"Pleasant stay!"
Gatorval, 03 Mars 2019

In town for 3 nights looking at property and glad we chose to stay at this BW. It's possible they went thru a renovation, the floors looked new, etc. Was perfect for our needs and nice and clean hot breakfast that's included with your stay! Front desk peeps were professional and courteous. *Only 2 cons: a few of our towels had seen better days and were worn with a few holes, and the adjoining room guests we could hear their conversation due to the paper thin walls. Other than that, we'd stay here again. We stayed in room 108

"getaway"
Seaside45248577920, 16 Février 2019

Wonderful time at Best Western in Townsend. Had a great room with Jacuzzi and fireplace. Located straight across the street from Trailhead steakhouse which was excellent. Beautiful view and peaceful. Very close to the Smoky Mtns. And Cases Cove.

"Awesome value - best offseason rate"
Venture25844234095, 26 Janvier 2019

Great stay in Townsend. Clean room, excellent breakfast - even vegan options. The room was very large and clean. I love that there is plank flooring, not carpeting, in the room. The bed foundation is metal so it does make some weird noises when you roll over at night, like you are in an industrial warehouse, lol. but the furnishings are modern and very pretty. Jet tub in bathroom a plus after a long day hiking. Fridge and microwave for in-room snacking and light meals. Good internet.

"Terrible Breakfast"
Kathy H, 05 Janvier 2019

The room was large and super clean with updated fixtures and a very comfortable bed. The housekeepers also did a very thorough job. We were terribly disappointed in the breakfast, however. We've stayed in Best Western quite a bit and this breakfast was absolutely substandard in comparison. From whimpy weak coffee to concrete biscuits and tough, leathery sausage patties, it was a disaster. There did not appear to be an attendant and the desk clerk was distant and uninterested in the guests. We had the same experience each of the three mornings of our stay. Stay for the nice room but plan to drive down the road to buy a nice breakfast!

"Not Bad"
ChristineBrown92, 31 Décembre 2018

Not a bad place to stay really. The room was on the first floor and it was nice and clean. I thought it was a little pricey, but not bad. I would stay here again if I had to. I just don't like outside doors.

"Vacation"
Joe L, 12 Décembre 2018

Very clean and large room. Checking was quick and very cordial. Our room key did not work and nayla working the desk came immediately to get us the room. Room was clean and you would have never known it was a pet friendly room. I saw bad reviews on trip advisor but would highly recommend this hotel.

"Only so so"
Carol G, 11 Décembre 2018

The price is way too high for the quality of the hotel. This town need some competition. This is the best hotel in town and they over charge because of it. The hotel is not worth more than 75.00 a night and we paid a great deal more.

"Cades Cove Getaway"
GlobeTrotting200637, 07 Décembre 2018

Nice hotel in a beautiful little mountain town. Right next door to Cade's Cove and lots of exploring. Enjoyed my stay. Everything was clean and the staff were very nice. Great restaurant right across the street..

"Great stay in a clean hotel."
662janiceo, 13 Novembre 2018

We went to our Grandson's basic training graduation then did some sight seeing before returning home. We stayed in several Best Western properties and a couple of other properties. The Best Western properties were all clean, hospitable, very nice and economically priced. Everything worked as it should. We will always look for Best Western while traveling.

"Like being in a hospital"
IloveJan, 13 Novembre 2018

After a 600 mile drive we were appalled to find that the rooms at this best western are concrete. No carpeting. The springs on the bed squeak loudly. Drunken individuals woke us at 2 a.m.laughing and yelling loudly. The rooms face the outside of the "hotel". The fitness center is a closet with two treadmills. We were booked for 4 nights. We checked out after one night and went to another hotel. Incidentally, the town of Townsend is dry. No alcohol at the restaurants. We tried the steak house across the street which was rated highly on trip advisor. Could not get a drink, and left. Stay away from Townsend and this hotel.

"Better Places Could Be Found"
Beth M, 12 Novembre 2018

If you are looking for average bare boned decor and rooms that are very overpriced, then this is your place. Very low water pressure, thin walls that did not cut noise, a couple dead bugs, and had to wait for someone to show up at the desk. Good points of the hotel were comfortable beds, pet friendly, and the area can't be beat..... but the price was outrageous. We were charged almost $200/nt for a plainly renovated mediocre room. Other times of year you can get rooms for a bit less, but we just happened to be traveling on a holiday weekend and it was a $100 difference. THAT is out and out price gouging! Will definitely stay in the area again as we have for many years by renting cabins for family vacations, but will never stay here again for my husband and I to have a getaway.

"A nice place to sleep but prices are a bit high."
hubjeanne, 12 Novembre 2018

The room was nice and very large but I thought the price was high. Be careful when given your key......our room had someone in it!!!! Yikes!!!! Would stay here again though unless I can find something less expensive.

"Worst Customer Service"
Voyage56060045212, 10 Novembre 2018

My husband and I booked with Booking.com weeks prior to our stay. We received several confirmation emails. After driving over five hours and arriving at the front desk of the Best Western Cade's Cove, and giving them our ID and credit card, which they charged...we were told they could not honor our reservation rate. What?! It would be double that! They said they do not have to honor third party booking rates!!! We are now there over an hour, with no room or reservation and a pet with us! They treated us so disrespectful... We asked to speak to a manager, but she was off for the next two days...Basically, if they had not been full they would had honored the rate, but due to they saw they could get more for the room, they chose to treat us like, pay double or leave! I will never stay at another Best Western or recommend them to any family or friends... Also since they had already charged our card, we had to wait seven days for it to be put back into our account! On top of finding a room and paying for that... A nightmare. We went back two days later to talk with the manager, to explain what happen and to let her know our card had been charged... Basically she defended the staff. Unbelievable!

"Ok"
Denise R, 08 Novembre 2018

For the most part it isn't bad. I won't stay again for 200 dollars, as this hotel is in no way a 200 dollar a night hotel. The room was clean with no bugs. The bathroom however had two long thick black hairs in the tub that I can't see how the maid could have missed. Breakfast was good. Lots of selections. Location is very good if you are going to Pigeon Forge and Cades Cove. I would probably stay again if I found a room much cheaper than I got it for.

"Hotel"
TexanReviewer, 07 Novembre 2018

The room was clean but no frills. Although I didn't need it they did not provide the small bottles of shampoo, conditioner or lotion. Tile floors throughout. It is close to Cades Cove which is the reason we chose to stay here. Outside corridor made it noisy with cars and barking dogs. If ever I am in the area, I would try another hotel.

"not going back"
travelertoalaska, 02 Novembre 2018

Clean and comfortable bed and large room. But we were kept awake by the heater making loud noises every time it turned off. Too cold to just leave it off. Then we couldn't shower the next morning because the shower would not drain. The lock to the door would not operate either. Lots of work to be done here. We will go back to the Highland Manor Inn where we always stay and wait until we can get a room there.

"choose another hotel... Pigeon Forge is worth the trip when visiting Cades Cove"
Storyteller490, 01 Novembre 2018

Most disappointing. There is no elevator in the building. Our room was paid for and we received the "keys" and because the room was not ready we did some sightseeing and came back to the room to find out they gave our room to someone else. They then had to give us another room. We previously booked 2 nights but checked out after 1 night.

"Disappointed this time"
alwaysfun2travel, 31 Octobre 2018

We have stayed here a few times several years ago and were disappointed this time. The room was nicely decorated. The beds were comfortable but hard to get into because of the height. The base of the beds are surrounded by metal so it makes sounds when rolling over or getting in or out of bed. There is no hand lotion or hair conditioner offered so bring your own. Towels were small but sufficient. There was a refrigerator and coffee maker in the room. Our building had an outside corridor so we could hear the cars passing and the dogs barking outside. There also was no elevator in our building so bear this in mind if you have a lot of luggage or have a hard time climbing stairs. It would have been nice to have breakfast earlier at 6 am instead of 7 am. Breakfast consisted of instant oatmeal, waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage links, biscuits and gravy, fruit, muffins, juice and coffee. Honestly, the front desk staff were not the friendliest we had and we were disappointed with that. There are not many restaurants around there, so you may have to wait or drive to a different town. Hotel location good for visiting the Smoky Mountains but it would be nice to have other hotel choices.

"Great location just slightly pricey"
M P, 24 Octobre 2018

The hotel is very nice clean and our room was huge, with comfortable beds. Free breakfast was a plus too. The receptionist was lovely, and the hotel is right across from a great Steakhouse, so that was good. A slight downside was that we tried to use the fitness centre and two of the machines weren't working (or we couldn't figure out how to turn them on!) and one was so noisy it wasn't practical to use, which left only the bike - totally appreciate that most people visiting the Smokies won't want to use the hotel gym, but we had booked partly for those facilities so were a bit disappointed. Not the end of the world but, given that the price for one night was $236 (which seems a lot for a Best Western), we would have liked to have use of all facilities.

"Great place to stay"
Ann L, 14 Octobre 2018

Our room was great. Very clean. It was a pet friendly room, but you would never know unless you were told. Also this motel has one of the best breakfast of any place we have even stayed. Would stay here again if in the area. Loved it.

"Quiet side of the Smoky Mountains"
cathybB177MQ, 10 Octobre 2018

The location of this hotel is awesome- the quiet side of the Smoky Mountains! Very close to the park entrance and if you want the craziness of Gatlinburg, it's a beautiful 30 minute drive. The hotel is clean, friendly and provides breakfast in the morning to get your day started.

"Not Best Western quality"
35068Auburn, 07 Octobre 2018

Love the Townsend area, but this hotel needs some maintenance. Towel bar not even attached on one side, paint flaking horribly from the ceiling, and stones missing from numerous location on the exterior. Staff was very nice and breakfast was good.

"Very nice little gem in the peaceful side of the smokies"
conniewegner65, 03 Octobre 2018

Very nice little gem. On the peaceful side of the smokies love this place!! Wonderful breakfast, clean rooms with all of the amenities! Cute little town! Will definitely be back!! Good value too!! And an outdoor pool.

"Close to Cades Cove"
whitmire1954, 03 Octobre 2018

If you like going to Cades Cove this motel is in a great location. It is only about 10 miles from Cades Cove. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The price is normal for this location. The breakfast is pretty good. By far the best thing about this motel is the location.

"Good experience, good price"
katannkan, 19 Septembre 2018

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The room was clean and included a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. The hotel is within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Breakfast was very good. The breakfast area was very clean and the food hot.

"Too Many Dogs!"
Flipflopstoo, 17 Septembre 2018

Loved the hotel, but the dog two doors down barked two nights and all day long. Guest left the dog while they went out. But the ones of us that was trying to rest could not because of the DOG. Front desk tried to call them, I had to make a second call which I guess they came back (after 8 hours) he was quiet for a while then started back. So on and off all night front desk did not seem that enthusiastic about my complaint the next morning. If you can get a room without a dog next door you will love it. Nice area.

"First time stay here."
428toddp, 10 Septembre 2018

Rooms were very nice and clean. the grounds were very nicely keep. Breakfast was good and hot with a good variety hot and cold options. Would say here again if I am passing through. Loved that it was close to the entrance to the Smokey Mountains.

"Very damp room"
Ann T, 10 Septembre 2018

We stayed one night, planned for two. Room 125 was extremely damp. Looking at the ceiling, suspected mold coming through paint, mold around outside door. Reported at the desk, and got reply they had been told before, but did not know cause. I will be filing a complaint with pictures with corporate.

"Would have been better rating if not for the nearby dog barking in the night"
doublewoodscj, 30 Août 2018

This is a quiet nice place looking from outside. The front desk people didn't seem enthusiastic both during check-in and check-out. The room is clean. The bed is comfortable. The hot breakfast is delicious. The only drawback is the neighbor has dogs barking relentlessly whole night long. The barking is about 200 ft away, fortunately I was able to fall asleep for a little while.

"Nice hotel! "
kasrob06, 29 Juillet 2018

My family enjoyed our stay! The pool was nice, room was clean and orderly and the breakfast was lovely. A big bonus: I had left my neck pillow in the room, and didn't realize it until almost noon. We returned to the hotel and the clerk on duty 7/29 went out of her way to find it for me. Thank you so much!

"Disappointed"
Carol H, 29 Juillet 2018

Sticky Floor and Barking Dog We have stayed here before over the past 4 years and it has been great. The floor was very dirty and it took 2 days to get it clean. Noisy dog next door. Hope it gets better.

"Beautiful, quiet and convenient location"
User, 26 Juillet 2018

All employees were friendly and helpful. I have stayed at the this location every summer for the past 5 or 6 summers. The breakfast is wonderful. The only thing that bothered me was the price increase of $50 a night.

"Cades Cove"
Elizabeth B, 14 Juillet 2018

We were greeted very warmly and they were very helpful to us. The room was clean and cool when we went in. We ate breakfast early the next day because we were going to bite Cades Cove and we're leaving at 7 a.m. . They accommodated us very nicely I would recommend this place

"cleanest most comfortable rest near Cades Cove"
Faun L, 08 Juillet 2018

After a very hot day of hiking falls in the smokies all we wanted was a cool room and a shower in a clean, comfy place. From the street the place looked a little dated, but we made reservations on line. We were hoping for an early check in as my husband wanted a nap. They allowed us to check in early, no problem and the room was immaculate and up to date- new modern tile floors, (no dirty carpets), smooth washed bed covers, comfy beds and pillows. Fridge. Good AC. Best hot shower, greatly improved my day. I was happy there. No elevators but we parked right in front of our room. Easy to drive to Maryville, where we met friends and could eat well and shop. The free breakfast was good self serve hot food, waffles, biscuits and gravy. A very nice selection, all the right temperatures and the tables were clean. We will definitely come back to this property.

"Great "
Tony C, 06 Juillet 2018

Very nice and pet friendly. Very nice area, has paved walkways to bike or walk with or without your dog. Your about 25-30mins from cades cove. Has rocking chairs at your room which was nice to sit out relax.

"Cades Cove Motel"
Paul W, 28 Juin 2018

Very clean & well kept location. Prices are very competitive. Good hot breakfast is included. Great location near Cades Cove & Great Smokey Mountains. Staff could be more customer friendly. Beds are comfortable and the view is wonderful.

"Great Place!!!"
Christopher W, 24 Juin 2018

Stayed here for two night with family have no complaints. The rooms a very nice the beds are comfortable. The breakfast is great!!! The room is clean, the hit water is there as soon as you turn the faucet on in the tub or sink. If your looking for a great place to stay then look no more.

"Bucket list "
Jim R, 23 Juin 2018

Headed to Cades Cove to Bicycle on Saturday morning...stayed two nights and the BW was super clean with an awesome staff and pretty wicked breakfast. I will stay here next time in town for sure....this is the place

"Clean and decent for a couple nights stay"
bornwithwheels, 19 Juin 2018

We came to this hotel after a few nights camping in the GSMNP. This is a totally remodeled hotel. Very nicely done not like some remodels that just patch and paint. We got a room near the pool which was perfect as we had our DGD with us who loves to swim. However it can be noisy do if you want quiet ask for a room on the other side of the hotel or towards the front. The free breakfast was typical fare but ok. Needs to add bacon and other fruit besides apples. The pool was clean and a decent size with a slide which all the kids and even some adults love. Water pressure was good in the shower and I like the 2nd sink in the bathroom. I did see a couple bugs but they eere outside our door. They are those beetles I see everywhere up here. Have even seen them in restaurants here. I don't think they can keep them out or they need to spray more. They are not roaches. I added an extra night and the only problem we had was the girl at the desk forgot to give us a new room key do had an issue getting in which they remedied right away. This is a hotel without elevators but most Best Westerns are. I would stay here again if I was in the area. The price was also decent for Father's day werkend ad it was just over $100 a night. I thought that was pretty good.

"Fairly clean, too expensive, horrible staff/customer service"
Jen D, 01 Juin 2018

Let me tell you about our experience - way overpriced, definitely not sympathetic or willing to go in the gray. I broke my hip on a Saturday and was hospitalized until Tuesday. My parents sought out reservations here from Monday through Wednesday - sure they were available and I would be staying there Tuesday night. The staff were not helpful at check in. Would not budge on price despite my mom being over 65, in possession of all of my identification, AAA cards etc. The first night there my dad killed a giant spider. The night I arrived the bathroom smelled like a sewer pipe had burst and there were bugs all over the bathroom. Mom (who by the way walks with a cane) went to get ice. The first floor machine was out of order, so she went to the office to ask if there was more (the breakfast area is there). The rude clerk told her no, she'd have to walk up the steps. ON what planet can a 67 year old mobility-impaired woman walk up and down steps carrying an ice bucket AND a cane. Your insensitive staff should be freaking ashamed of taking advantage or people and being unhelpful. When she went to turn the key in at check out, there was ice being used at the breakfast - guess someone had to walk up stairs. I have emailed corporate, but as expected have heard nothing from them. I say let Best Western rot before staying with there, there are better options.

"Excellent Stay"
tjacobsen2713, 31 Mai 2018

Excellent breakfast, excellent service, comfortable room, everything was great. I will stay here again. This was the best and most comfortable stay I had in a 12-day trip through Tennesse and Georgia.

"All I had wished"
tbcp1, 29 Mai 2018

The Best western staff was great. The breakfast was regularly and carefully refreshed and CLEAN. The room was fresh and well stocked. The pool had a water slide. Great restaurants near by. Good view of the mountains on the eastern side.

"Very Dissatisfied"
mcamplin43, 27 Mai 2018

This is by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, and no elevators, we were given a key to a room that was occupied, and there was a public hair in the tub, the room needed a deep cleaning and the bed was really hard and squeaky, very uncomfortable.

"vacation getaway"
NANCY B, 27 Mai 2018

pretty but not the most comfortable, updated but not for the vertically challenged. The mattresses were just the most comfortable and so high up we needed a step stool to get into bed! The staff are always friendly and breakfast is fine.

"Standard and average BW hotel"
Jens U, 21 Mai 2018

Tried a number of BW hotels in the USA. You know the standard when it is a BW hotel. And that is OK, because you get what you pay for. The Cades Cove Inn is just like that. Good standard. This one might be a little not so much clean... Stay one night, that's it!

"BW Cades Cove Inn"
magnoliawoman, 20 Mai 2018

This is a nice little hotel next to the Smokies and close to Pigeon Forge with a lot less traffic. Recently renovated it is quite comfortable. There is a complimentary full breakfast which is just that...a full breakfast. The staffer in charge does an excellent job keeping food items hot and replenished. Guests could do much better about leaving their food messes to be cleaned following them. The only downside are that rates are excessively increased during the local town events in April and September and sometimes the maid service during your stay could be more thorough. I recommend the hotel overall.

"Affordable Convenience"
JosephSRCook, 17 Mai 2018

Closest nice hotel to Cades Cove. Clean rooms, though lighting is a little dim. Excellent staff. Recently restored hotel with a prime view of the surrounding mountains, quite near a historic cemetery and helpful Visitor Center. Worth exactly what it costs; quality at an affordable price.

"Very good choice for Townsend, TN"
joano766, 14 Mai 2018

This is a very nice hotel, well maintained, clean, good location to visit Great Smoky National Park. Breakfast is very good and the staffer running it was very helpful. Desk staff were also helpful. I stayed for 5 nights in May 2018.

"Look for a Better Place to Stay in the Area"
J M, 10 Mai 2018

Even tho this property is in a scenic setting, you can't see the view from any of the rooms. What a waste! Desk staff not very professional. Breakfast better than some; but no turkey sausage for people who don't eat pork. We only stayed here to use up BW points, & won't stay again. Plus, they screwed up the bill & I had to have the charge taken off my credit card, so extra hassle for me. There are too many other choices in the area to try, so we suggest go somewhere else.

"BEST BREAKFAST AROUND"
sharlets2017, 08 Mai 2018

I wouldn't stay anywhere else. The breakfast is fantastic, kept fully stocked and the hours iavailable are perfect for a leisure visit. The hotel is located very close to Cades Cove and yet, it's close to the local cafes and other tourist attractions. The Visitor's Center is next door and is walking distance to the Spring and Fall music festivals. PERFECT!

"Good place to stay near park"
fr0mVA, 05 Mai 2018

Good basic hotel with basic breakfast, comfortable bed, clean. Location is 3 miles from the park and also close to the caverns. The price is right and it was fun for our cycling group to have our little happy hours at the picnic table. Rocking chairs a plus.

"Quiet"
Shanghai-McCoy, 27 Avril 2018

Clean, quiet, nice location. Surrounded by mountains and fields. Great views from the property. Many restaurants within walking distance. Some shops too. About a ten minute drive to Cade's Cove. So conveniently located for that.

"Great hotel!"
Sue M, 17 Avril 2018

We stayed in a very large, clean room with lots of updates. It is located very close to Cades Cove in the Smoky Mountains. It was very quiet and breakfast was great the next day! Highly recommend this hotel to all travelers!

"Great value for a great room "
Carmen K, 14 Avril 2018

We stayed 5 nights and were very happy with our stay. Front desk staff was friendly and happy to help. House keeping did an excellent job every day and even made the air mattress we had brought. Our room was spacious and quiet and the bed was comfortable. Our room had 2 sinks- 1 with the shower and toilet and another in a vanity area with a large counter top. Very nice when you have a large family or teenagers! Large framed photos of the GSMNP historical sites and animals adorned the walls (loved that!). Good selection of hot and cold items for breakfast. We used the rocking chairs outside our room. And there are benches at the back of the hotel that overlook a field and the mountains. Lovely view! Picnic tables are located near the pool area. You are only minutes from the GSMNP and multiple hiking trails and not too far from Pigeon Forge. Our only complaint is that we didn't stay longer!!

"great value"

great placement for getting into the smokies. the city is where I would go for the park and this hotel is a great value. nice people. eat breakfast early as gets busy. nice bike/walking path right at hotel. beds sit a bit high off of floor is the only thing I would mention.

"Very clean rooms"
Karen N, 02 Avril 2018

We stayed here one evening while working our way though Tennessee. The rooms were very clean and so was the rest of the property. Beds were very comfy also. It is located in a nice scenic area. Overall, it was a very pleasant place to stay.

"Great stay at Cades Cove Inn"
d44radams, 26 Mars 2018

Great service, thanks a bunch. Fast and friendly service everyday of our stay and very clean. Food serve fresh hot, great coffee, clean breakfast area for eating, and great access to all needs as well as internet and television access while enjoying a morning meal.

"We Dove into the Cove!"
chris G, 21 Mars 2018

We stayed here 2 nights and were very happy. Park at door huge rooms...could do with a sofa or low table to fill up space. Greatbed great fast hot water. Plenty towels. Microwave fridge. Fast air con too. The wi fi fast and reliable . Big tv. Breakfast was great with the usual spread and more. Desk staff could have been a bit friendlier but hey, all good!! And across the road is s restaurant to walk to!

"Great hotel in the peaceful side of the smokies!"
ANDREA B, 02 Mars 2018

Our room had nice flooring and updated furniture. The room was very clean and had all of the amenities we could possibly need. The breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs with cheese and salsa additions, biscuits and gravy, sausage, waffles, cereal, juices, etc. We will definately stay again I don't see how it could get much better!

"Best Breakfast anywhere"
amywM2503NN, 29 Décembre 2017

Room was nice, internet fast, pets accommodated and the best breakfast we have had at any hotel! We will definitely stay here again when we visit my parents in the area when they get moved from North Carolina

"Great Stay at Great Place"
479gaylag, 26 Décembre 2017

We were in Townsend Tennessee for a 2 day 1 night getaway to visit Cades Cove, We decided to stay at Best Western Cades Cove Hotel We hit it perfect staying wed night before Christmas We got great rates at hotel that came with a great breakfast consisted of eggs, sausage, biscuit, and gravy and waffles and all kinds of breakfast foods and drinks. Also the cades cove park was almost empty so was basically had it to our selves due to time of year Best Trip we have had in awhile !

"Business and Family Trip"
Pyof5, 19 Décembre 2017

Stayed here on a quick business trip to Pigeon Forge. Room was spacious and very clean. Staff were helpful. The breakfast buffet was actually really good. Hot and Tasty food and a good selection. I liked the place so much I stayed here overnight again with my family the following weekend. Great value

"well maintained, clean facility"
O2741FCroberta, 15 Décembre 2017

Best Western Cades Cove Inn is a well maintained, clean and comfortable facility. We appreciated the soft towels, the comfortable beds, the always-available coffee, and the full breakfasts offered every morning.

"First Bad Experience At a Best Western Hotel"
Q8754FDstevens, 13 Décembre 2017

The room appeared to not have been cleaned prior to our stay. I would never stay at this location again. The sheets appeared as though they had not been changed. There was long hairs on the pillows and curly hair under the sheets. the bathroom had not been cleaned, the trash cans emptied or the mirror cleaned. This is the first Best Western I have ever had this kind of experience with and the staff were neither friendly nor helpful

"Relaxation"
Brittney G, 05 Décembre 2017

My husband and I wanted a short and cheap getaway in the smokies for our three year wedding anniversary. We enjoyed our stay in Townsend at this hotel. I love Townsend because it is quiet and out of the hustle and crazy of Pigeon Forge but still close enough to go into Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg to eat and shop.

"No better hotel for the money."
maryzickfeld, 03 Décembre 2017

The location of this hotel was perfect. Coming from Chattanooga we were able to come through Maryville and bypass all of the Knoxville and Pigeon Forge traffic. The ride to Gatlinburg was all beautiful back roads. The hotel itself was great too. Very friendly people at the front desk, the room was very clean and cozy. It has a mini fridge, microwave and coffee pot. The breakfast in the morning was really good too, both tradition and more healthy options. For the price this hotel would be very hard to beat.

"Wonderful experience"
Z9503WHdonnaw, 29 Novembre 2017

Hotel staff very professional and helpful. Facility clean and maintained. Room was spacious and clean. Located very close to Cades Cove. Townsend awesome city. Quiet side of the Smokies. Wonderful trip!!

"Great stay...."
Janice B, 27 Novembre 2017

Love this small town, and the Best Western is usually our choice of places to stay when here......It is very clean, quiet and located perfectly. Rooms are great. Hotel is easy to find also. We love staying here.......

"A great place to stay before or after a visit to Cades Cove."
3danimator, 24 Novembre 2017

One of the most popular places to visit in great smoky mountains national park is Cades Cove. A nice breakfast is included and has good WiFi. Starting close to the park entrance was great. Would stay again.

"Townsend, TN"
F499FNwilliamk, 20 Novembre 2017

We were very pleased with everything. Breakfast was great, beds comfortable, staff friendly and helpful, and very convenient to hiking in Cade Cove. Great rate also. Will stay again on our next trip to the mountains.

"Relaxing Trip"
Marsha K, 12 Novembre 2017

Took a couple days (Wednesday to Saturday) to stay on “the peaceful side” of The Smokies. The Best Western offered reasonable prices and a comfortable room. Staff was really nice and helpful at check in. This appears to be a remodeled property, and they did a great job. You have 2 rocking chairs outside your room where you can enjoy the views and breath some mountain air. No carpet, which is a plus in my book. Bed was high, and a little hard for my liking, but my husband loved it! Breakfast was really good! Basic stuff plus sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy. Location is perfect. Only about 10 scenic miles to Cades Cove. If you're looking for a clean comfortable place to stay, here you go. If you're looking for a really foo-foo place with lots of bells and whistles, you need to look a little further. We will be staying here again. Thank you for a great stay!!

"Always a good place to stay"
KristyMcCullers, 10 Novembre 2017

Clean, up to date, friendly staff. I enjoy my stay everytime and always come back. Rooms are big, beds are soft. Bathrooms huge. Good parking area. Nice view all around. Safe place outside too. I love this place.

"Good location & breakfast"
sandykip, 09 Novembre 2017

The rooms were average but the hot breakfast, (biscuits, scrambled eggs, sausage, cereals, etc), was well laid out and fresh. The location is within a few miles from one entrance to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, about 30 to 40 minutes from Cades Cove, and 15 to 20 minutes from the turn-off to the Foothills Parkway.

"Undone"
Anna B, 08 Novembre 2017

We travel to this area every year but this was our first time to stay in Townsend. I always try to use the best western hotels. The room we received was updated and at first I thought having laminate floors was great but it turns out that they must not be mopped regularly as I spilled water and when I wiped it up the rag was filthy. The room was very large but there was only minimal furniture and oddly placed as if they could not finish the upgrade. There were many bugs. We found 3 spiders, one cockroach and some little bug we could not identify. The bedside lamp did not work although it was fixed the next day. The reception staff were not friendly or helpful and the woman who checked us in clearly did not want to be there. The walls are very thin and every time someone flushed the toilet we could hear. The breakfast was very good though. We were hoping to find a new place but we will never stay here again.

"GREAT PLACE TO STAY FOR IMPROMPTU VISIT TO THE SMOKIES!"
sostella, 08 Novembre 2017

For 24 years we've been coming to Townsend.....always staying in a cabin somewhere around Townsend. This year we waited too late & could only get 3 nites in a cabin, so stayed 4th night at Best Western. What a great idea! We got the king bed with jacuzzi & gas fireplace. Price was good and can't beat a free full breakfast! We'll for sure be keeping this BW in mind for future spontaneous trips to the Smokies!

"traveling Dale 7"
grooverman7, 06 Novembre 2017

If ur there for relaxation, seeing the beautiful scenery, meeting very friendly people, its a great place to go. Unfortunatly with my work it was not conducive, I still had a pleasant stay. there is really nothing else to say.

"Two vanities in room with sinks at both is a plus for me!"
bigthicket, 05 Novembre 2017

Enjoyed our one night stay here in a room with two double beds. Loved the decor and the vinyl wood looking floors instead of your typical carpet that is in most hotels. This hotel looks to have been very recently updated. The room was very clean. I loved having 2 sinks and two vanities. The doors to your room open to the outside. Every room has 2 rocking chairs outside of their room. I loved staying in a hotel that was near the Smoky Mountains but not in a super touristy area with lots of people. There's a great steakhouse right across the street. The only negatives to this hotel were that you could hear everything going on outside your room but thank goodness none of it happened too late and I wished that I had had a little heavier comforter on the bed. There were no extra blankets in the room. I guess I should have called the front desk to see if they had anything. Even with the two negatives I would still stay here again if in the area. The positives far outweighed any of the negatives and the price was right!

"Quick Trip"
Mike K, 02 Novembre 2017

At last minute my wife wanted to go to Cade's Cove. So we started driving towards Townsend & attempting to find lodging while driving that way. There were only 2 choices & we chose the Best Western Cades Cove. Room was very nice & clean and as represented with the on-line booking. Breakfast the next morning was a plus. Room was a little pricey (in my opinion) $180ish after all the fees & taxes for 1 night in a standard king room. Overall, it was a good trip.

"Cades Cove Inn Visit"
falcon154, 30 Octobre 2017

Hotel is convenient to the Smoky Mountain National Park, and 9 miles from Cades Cove. It is located on the quiet side of the Smokies, and an excellent area to see and explore during the fall and spring.

"Happy in Townsend"
GermanPAgirl5, 29 Octobre 2017

Pretty setting, very convenient to Cade's Cove and the area. No elevator so if you have trouble with stairs, request a first floor. I didn't realize rooms were assigned at check in or would have requested. It wasn't offered though. Beds very high. 32 inches from floor. Difficult is you've had knee surgery or other issues. Breakfast was delicious! Staff was nice. Would stay again but request first floor. Pool was closed even though very hot day. Would stay again !

"Mountain vacation"
Kdier, 29 Octobre 2017

Great hotel, close to park entrance but away from busy traffic of Gatlinburg. Great decor, friendly staff, good hot breakfast every morning. Most hotel refrigerators aren't good and cold, this one was perfect. I will visit again.

"Nice place... great location..."
Jeff K, 27 Octobre 2017

I just read my review from this location from last year and I made this same point last year. Housekeeping does a poor job of room inventory and restocking. They cleaned well... they just don't replace the coffee and soaps! Otherwise we like this place, it's a great location if you enjoy some peace and quiet and quick access to Cades Cove. We'll stay here again... I'll just bring my own coffee!

"trip review for pleasure and vacation with family to visit parks and trails"

Hotel Staff was very nice and helpful at all request the room was cleaned each day of our thee day stay the internet reception was very good but need channel list for tv The phone service in thr room was very poor had to go outside room to use phone

"Convenient and updated"
User, 22 Octobre 2017

Stayed Wed-Sun. Chose location because we like staying on the "quiet side" of the smokies in Townsend. Convenient to local grocery and retaurants. Close to Cades Cove. We had a room on second floor left side of hotel. There is a house next door to the hotel that had a dog that barked which could be heard from the room. I didn't see an elevator so if you need one you may want to ask for ground floor room. The room itself was clean and appeared remodeled. The beds were a little hard for me but fine for my husband and son. Tv had HBO. You get few makeup wipes, mouthwash, cheap bars soap, and one 2n1 mini Pantene shampoo. Decent size fridge/freezer held a medium pizza box just fine. Also had microwave. We skipped the in room coffee maker since there was free breakfast daily. Make your own waffle. Links or patties. Scrambled eggs. Biscuits and gravy. Apples. Muffins. Toast. Cereal. Peach yogurt. Wasnt deluxe but was fine. There was an outdoor pool but too cold to use when we visited un mid october. All in all a decent place to stay. We normally stay in cabin rentals but waited to book this last minute during great weather leaf peeping season. Paid about ~700 for the 4 nights via booking.com. Probably about a 40 min drive to Gatlinburg through the park which we did almost daily.

"Convenient Location to Cades Cove"
Lawtonka, 21 Octobre 2017

Everything was good. Location, nearby restaurants, stores, close to Cades Cove, nice grounds, great breakfast. Have stayed here before in the past, the first time was not a great experience, this was very nice experience, enjoyed the stay and will return again some day

"Enjoy a quiet night at this facility."
Terry K, 19 Octobre 2017

The rooms are spacious. There is good water pressure and lots of warm water. The beds are very nice. Rockers are offered outside of the rooms to help guests enjoy the view. There is a paved trail in front of this facility for walkers and hikers. I am told that the trail is 8 miles long. Breakfast was good with lots of variety. Caverns are just down the road as is a visitor's center.

"Comfortable Stay"
DawniesaurusRex, 16 Octobre 2017

We stayed for two nights on a spur of the moment trip to Townsend. I made the reservations for a King room three days before arrival and got an excellent rate. In fact the rates were cheaper on the hotel website than on the booking websites. The staff was extremely friendly and they were able to accommodate us with a top floor room as requested. The room was updated, quiet, very clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable. We loved the fact that the floors were laminate so we weren't walking around on dirty carpet. Also, to our surprise there was an extra sink in the actual bathroom which made for less crowding when we were getting ready. There were also rocking chairs outside of each room, which was a nice touch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it to others.

"Room not clean"
maryhX5523ZD, 13 Octobre 2017

Our room was not clean. No one cared. We stayed two nights, paid too much for the room. Old coffee grounds left in machine, old coffee stains and grounds on counter/tray beside machine, hair left in shower and bathroom floor, no Kleenex, bed wasn't comfortable, we could hear talking, flushing, etc. from the room next to ours because it was an adjoining room, and we could see if they had the lights on, etc. Not good.

"Best Western Cades Cove"
Thomas B, 10 Octobre 2017

Have stayed at this hotel many times over the years without any issues. It appears it is under new management and very poor customer service now. Room was great, beds were great, but the service was terrible.

"Fall trip to the mountains and Cades Cove."
H8048MUjanec, 10 Octobre 2017

Me and my husband stay at the Best Western in Townsend Tenn. every year in October. We love the location and the beds are really comfortable. We like going to Cades Cove and riding around the Mountain roads.. The location is perfect!

"Great!"
Sarah M, 08 Octobre 2017

Very nice facility but could work on friendliness of employees. The breakfast was great each morning and the rooms were clean. We enjoyed the location as it was close to the activity we were doing but not busy.

"Clean and Affordable"
rhetar, 04 Octobre 2017

Not fancy, but clean and comfortable. Beds were firm and floor was laminate which was much better than musty old carpet you find in most hotels. Quiet area near the entrance to the Great Smokey Mountains National Park. Great steak restaurant right across the street.

"Nice place"
williamvirgile, 03 Octobre 2017

I like that this hotel is located next to the Townsend Fall Heritage Festival and Old Timers Day. You can walk to the event and enjoy yourself. You can go back to your room anytime and you do not have to pay to park.

"Bed Too High"
johnlong3508, 30 Septembre 2017

Bed was too high for wife to get into without assistance. Higher beds do not mean more comfort. Tall people can sleep know beds, but short people find it difficult to get onto high beds. Wife is 5'3" and had to be assisted.

"Lovely neat hotel "
parraboy, 21 Septembre 2017

Stayed one night whilst visiting cades cove . Lovely clean hotel , nice room , nice pool and adequate breakfast although seating was difficult . The location is perfect but you need a car to do things . Only about 20 minutes from cades cove . The steak house restaurant opposite the hotel was great for lunch and there is a little takeaway at start of cades cove where you get to die for sundaes !!! Overall perfect hotel for our needs

"Motorcycle trip"
jeffe735, 18 Septembre 2017

Have stayed here several times. Always clean and neat. Staff is always courtious and helpful. The front desk lady, Satina, was extreamly helpful and very polite. Breakfast is very good and satisfying. The only problem was a few bugs in the bathroom. Needs to be addressed asap. Not problematic enough to prevent me from staying again.I believe the owners will address the problem.

"excellent"
judyhR3443GV, 17 Septembre 2017

We had a very good experience at this hotel, it was quiet and very relaxing. The breakfast was very good, just like being at home.we will definitely stay at this hotel if we are in this area. The rooms were very clean and the bed was comfortable.

"Great Place to Stay"
812huberth, 15 Septembre 2017

Our room was very spacious & always clean. The bed was very comfortable, awesome night's sleep every night! All the staff we met were very friendly & helpful. The breakfast was tasty & plentiful. We reserved our room online & got a great deal. We love staying in Townsend because it's close to Cades Cove & staying in such a nice place made the trip just that much better!

"Hurricane Irma"
Ralph M, 15 Septembre 2017

I have stayed at this beautiful hotel many times in the past and decided to do the same on this trip. It is close to one my favorite places in the Smokey Mountains, Cades Cove. After eating a delicious breakfast (eggs, sausage, waffles, etc.) I was on my way to Cades Cove to view the wildlife. There were many people from Florida, Georgia & South Carolina seeking shelter from hurricane Irma. The staff did an excellent job accommodating everyone. WAY TO GO!

"Hope it's not a on a down hill slide"
jasonmP9960XT, 13 Septembre 2017

My crew I have stayed there many times over the past 6 year and it has always been our favorite and the best. However the past few times have not been that great. More so due to the unprofessional attitude and appearance of the staff. Hopefully they will correct this right away.

"Such a nice place"
bill698, 13 Septembre 2017

Rooms were immaculate. Staff was very polite. Breakfast was the best I've ever had a hotel/motel free breakfast. Location is perfect and not far from national park, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Maryville. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants a nice place to stay while saving money.

"Don't Stay Here!"
1951dgk, 12 Septembre 2017

The hotel is clean & the room was comfortable. The staff were useless. Point 1: Check-in clerk was asked about upgrade for Diamond customer & said no, we're full without even checking. We checked later on-line & the hotel was not half full for that night. Point 2: Turned on our TV around 5:30PM. It had a bad picture & bad sound that could not be improved. Called the desk & the clerk came down to look at it. She said a maintenance man would be there soon. We sat there for over 3 hours waiting for him to show up & he didn't. We called the clerk back 2 more times to ask why he had not shown up but did not get a straight answer. After 9PM the clerk (different to the one that checked us in that said no other rooms were available) called us to offer changing rooms. We said no, it's too late as we were already in our pajamas. We will never go to this Best Western property again & advise everybody not to.

"Clean & Convient"
Pattie B, 11 Septembre 2017

We stayed here for The Smoky Mt Half Marathon. It was 1mile to the race parking - The rooms were updated and clean. Treadmill was broke, pool was freezing (but made for a good ice bath after the race) there was no wheat bread at bfast

"Great stay!"
michelerD5794JB, 04 Septembre 2017

I've been at Best Western's before, but this was the nicest one I've been in. Very clean and well kept. I would recommend this to anyone. It exceeded my expectations. Check in was easy. The room had a mini fridge as well. Wifi was hard but what can I say about being in the mountains? Wifi wasn't why I was there and the signal probably isn't great near the park.

"Clean and nice free breakfast"
kamkam18, 03 Septembre 2017

We chose the Best Western cause we always have a nice stay with them, The room was clean the staff was friendly, & the breakfast was great!!! The rocking chairs outside our room was nice to rock in towards evening.

"Great location"
Jody H, 02 Septembre 2017

This Best Western appears to be recently remodeled. Breakfast was good, rooms very clean and modern. Internet surprisingly fast. Our only negative at this hotel was the very thin walls which allowed even the smallest noises to be heard from neighboring rooms (people talking, television, even the toilet flushing). Fortunately our neighbors were not late night active people.

"Pleasant surprise"
michellemD3983WP, 01 Septembre 2017

This was my first stay at a Best Western in many years, I was never a fan. There weren't alot of choices in this area of TN so we had to take a chance. I'm glad we got to experience the NEW and improved rooms, beds were comfortable and room décor was up to date and modern, the room was super clean, the outside was spotless also.I will certainly consider this chain again in the future.

"Best Western"
cybergringo, 31 Août 2017

Stayed here after a visit to Cades Cove, motel was clean, staff was friendly and helpful, good beds, sink faucets showing age, pool has a slide. Restaurant across the street was OK but was convienient

"Great Stay"
James L, 29 Août 2017

The hotel itself is nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The area is very quiet and peaceful. We love the fact that the area is not crowded with people everywhere. The only thing I do have to say was that the Wi-Fi service is not reliable at all. We did not eat the breakfast but it did smell really good when we checked out.

"No competition in Townsend so this hotel is bad"
gosman949, 29 Août 2017

If you want a national hotel in Townsend to stay at, you only have one choice, Best Western. This place has poor internet, dirty air conditioners that I had to clean the filters myself, and an "attitude" by some of the staff when asked to do anything. You would be better off to stay at one of the mom and pop hotels in town that are more expensive. Best Westerns in Tennessee are not as nice as they are in other states.

"Sad, a few details could have been 4-5 stars. No WIFI"
bucfan823, 19 Août 2017

Could have been much better with just a small attention to guests comfort. Wifi was NOT available all week? Had internet in office, so it was internal issue. Call someone who fixes, replaces routers, networks etc...no excuse to be out more than 1 day. Ice machine 1st floor out of service. Small inconvenience, but again, out all week and I suspect WEEKS. Call someone, repair, replace 24 hours Rooms were modern, nice, clean. Beds were unusually high? At 5' 6" I had to jump up to get on bed? Anyway, replaces carpet with lovely vinyl flooring, but DID not install molding to hide 1" unfinished "gap" all around baseboard, unsightly. Sad, Grounds were nice, room overall nice, comfy, decent breakfast, but the things I mentioned can be easily fixed.

"Very Nice Clean Hotel"
hargisd2017, 17 Août 2017

Very nice place to stay, clean room with very friendly staff. Pool area clean and well maintained. Excellent breakfast and staff serving. The only complaint I would have is the internet would not let you connect and when it did was extremely slow. The shower heads in the tub that they use reminded me of the amount of water that comes out of the shower head when you come off the beach to was sand off yourself. But over all clean, nice place to stay.

"Excellent"
paulhC6273IQ, 16 Août 2017

Our stay was relaxing and everything was great! The mountains are our favorite vacation spot and this is located in the heart of the Smoky Mountains. I would definitely recommend it! We had a great time and plan on returning soon.

"No longer the hotel it was before"
rondS6889OE, 13 Août 2017

I have stayed in this hotel many times over the years including when it was a member of the Choice Hotels chains and was a Comfort Inn. The internet was virtually dysfunctional and in spite of repeated calls to the front desk I could never get a working internet connection on any of my wi-fi connected devices including my iPhone, iPad, or laptop. On my last call to the front desk I felt like they were annoyed at my repeated calls. If I had planned to stay longer I would have checked out and tried to find a room elsewhere. I don't know if the ownership or management has changed but there was a different vibe to this hotel than my previous experiences over the years. Since the cellular service in the vicinity of the hotel is very poor a working Internet is vital to stay connected with people I need to communicate with.

"Poor Customer Service"
HighMileage17, 13 Août 2017

We had arrived after a long trip in, we had reservations that we had made earlier. There was a mistake that we did not realize with the reservations. It was late at night when we had arrived my family and I were exhausted and ready to get some rest. Rose at the front desk was not willing to help us out in any way. We paid more for the room then we had expected from the reservation made. She made things difficult and not willing to help out at all. Nice location, customer service definitely not.

"Mixed bag"
593timo, 09 Août 2017

Pros: convenient to Cades Cove, visitor's center and tubing, quiet, fun pool slide for kids, benches at the back of the hotel to sit and take in the scenic view, breakfast was pretty good, breakfast attendant was very vigilant about keeping everything stocked, having 2 bathroom sinks was handy, low price for a touristy location Cons: super hard beds, opening under door let large bugs in at night, room was humid even with A.C. running, bathroom ceiling was cracking and flaking, baseboards were missing from entire room which exposed cracks between floors and walls

"Great location and worth the money."
100sherylp, 05 Août 2017

Hotel is great location to the national park. Loved the quiet town of Townsend. Hotel was easily accessible rooms were clean and comfy. Breakfast is typical BW breakfast. Would stay again. Hotel staff was friendly Great value for the price especially compared to the Gatlinburg experience. Would recommend and will be back.

"Fun, Relaxing Vacation"
Amy C, 05 Août 2017

Liked the quiet, small town feel. Not as crowded as some of the nearby towns and the hotel was clean, comfortable and affordable. Right on the edge of the Smoky Mountains and close enough to all the places we wanted to go. Enjoyed the breakfast, just would have liked a little more variety of the fruit.

"Good base for Great Smoky Mountains Park visit."
tourist189, 03 Août 2017

The room was spacious and clean, no frills but the basics are well done. Parking was right outside the room, as was the pool, which was also clean. The included breakfast was particularly good and included two types of sausage in addition to the eggs, waffles, and cold items. A good restaurant for dinner was right across the road,, Trailhead Steak & Trout. There is a nice walking/biking path along the road, good for an evening walk. The Cade's Cove entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains Park is only a few miles away yet the area is not at all touristy.

"Great place to see Smoky Mts."
A952WDkathyr, 02 Août 2017

We really enjoyed out stay in the Cades Cove Inn in Townsend. This was a great place to relax and enjoy the Smoky Mts. without all the commercialism in Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. The town had several nice restaurants (though avoid Apple Valley Café, not so good) and a grocery store (IGA) as well as the Townsend-Smoky Mt. visitor center right next door.

"The smell of smoke was everywhere. Yuk!"
Bryan K, 31 Juillet 2017

The staff were nice and did a great job. The breakfast is good. The rooms have been renovated but the renovation is not complete. There was no weatherstripping on the door to the outside or to the adjoining room so every bit of smoke outside of our room was sucked in by the bathroom exhaust fan which cannot be turned off. IF YOU ARE A NON-SMOKER DON'T STAY HERE UNTIL THIS IS FIXED OR UNTIL THE WHOLE PROPERTY IS NON-SMOKING.

"Townsend visit"
johnhN5039OA, 25 Juillet 2017

Had a wonderful time and a great stay at the Best Western motel there. Facility was comfortable and clean. Staff was excellent. The motel was located in the middle of the town and access was easy with good restaurants close by

"Tennessee Vaca"
Jennifer B, 24 Juillet 2017

Love the fact that it's QUIET and out of the limelight of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, but only 15 miles away by gorgeous road, Route 321. Cades Cove also takes you to Gatlinburg and is a quick access to the Mountain roads. The mountain views are my most favorite. Staff is great and always accommodating. Clean & very comfortable rooms!

"Hotel Review"
patriciapM7735SM, 23 Juillet 2017

This hotel is one of the best we've ever stayed in. ALL staff were very nice, rooms are cleanest we've encountered BUT the beds are ridiculously too high ! i'm 5 ft tall, had to go purchase stool to get into bed. Have even stayed in one of the handicap accessible and the bed in that room was the same as this room we last stayed in. Would not recommend a stay here for a wheelchair bound person.

"The noise and rude staff"
Jrbloodworth, 17 Juillet 2017

This started off to be pretty good place just checking in but after that it went down hill. No sooner than we got checked in an older guy fell down outside and his wife ask the desk lady to call 911 her husband could not breath. The clerk said no not my problem so we called after that we got to our room the wifi did not work call front desk clerk said sorry nothing I can do it's Saturday,so great not wifi. Then got settled in and noticed we could hear everything that was being said and done the room next door because of the interconnected door so called the front desk sorry nothing we can do . Talked to people next door and they were nice and tried to keep it down but there was really no noise insulation so no matter what was said in our room or there's we both could hear this was a really terrible stay

"Great Location and Breakfast"
dansK786GL, 17 Juillet 2017

Just 4 miles from the Great Smokies National Park without the traffic of Gatlinburg. Was able to get to Cades Cove in 40 minutes. Saw lots of animals there including deer, turkey and black bears. The breakfast was very tasty and rooms were very clean.

"Clean and welcoming."

Great locatonight to visit Cades Cover and hike in the National Park. Tubing is convenient, it is on the walking/bicycle trail, and there are several good restaurants near by. The mountain views are super.

"Best Hotel Experience"
W1662JJangiec, 10 Juillet 2017

We really enjoyed our stay. We enjoyed the breakfast, pool, beds, pillows, cordial staff, cleanliness of the room, and being able to bring our pets. Oh, and one of the best features was no carpet in the room but rather laminate which felt much cleaner than carpet, and we didn't have to worry when we spilled the dogs water bowl a couple of times. :) I would highly recommend this hotel. We stayed three nights and felt safe leaving our belongings and even used the hair dryer and iron. Everything worked fine. And, bonus, it was located very near places to eat, a laundry mat, coffee shop and a wonderful photography gallery - Barry Spruce.

"If not for front desk staff would have been fine."
Jamie R, 10 Juillet 2017

Unfriendly front staff for asking questions and my bill was wrong and had to wait 20 minutes for manager to arrive and correct it. Only one person able to do that doesn't seem professional. Chose because they accept dogs but otherwise would not recommend as a good location to visit Dollywood

"July 2017"
William A, 05 Juillet 2017

Nice hotel; clean updated rooms, very nice breakfast, good value. Grand kids loved the pool with a slide. Full hot breakfast with eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, cereal, waffles and more. Just a few moments away from Cades Cove. (We saw 4 bears on the afternoon of July 3rd, 2017 - drive slowly).

"Clean and comfortable"
452darrylc, 30 Juin 2017

Great central location for our motorcycle adventure down the dragon tail. Room was clean and comfortable and a nice breakfast to start the day. Several places to check out in Townsend. Good steak house across the street. While we were there problems with wireless router so we were unable to connect to internet there is a computer available in the lobby. And lots of hiking trails and parks. BEAUTIFUL

"Wonderful Breakfast"
GlennaT33, 28 Juin 2017

We were welcomed at the front desk by Rose, very sweet, congenial and most helpful.. The room was Very Spacious, clean and welcoming.. The exterior is rustic to go with the area, but the rooms are modern and nice.. Now to go on about the fabulous breakfast.. Full breakfast, eat here and you won't need another meal till dinner.. There are some good restaurants close by.. They have a nice pool, which we didn't use as we just spent one night. We definitely would stay here again and recommend it to friends!

"Wonderful visit in Townsend TN"
USATraveler1954, 28 Juin 2017

Great place to stay in Townsend TN. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was good. Quick check in and check out. We stayed for 2 nights. Grandson enjoyed the pool. We didn't bring our pets, but they are allowed.

Auburn W, 27 Juin 2017

no comments. I am very blessed and satisfied. All staff and management were very wonderful and they treat us with respect and privacy due to our deafness. Everything in this room we stayed is so wonderful, peaceful and very neat. This room is like our honeymoon suite we felt very blessed and very happy with our 8 years of marriage. Thank you so much for letting us to stay into a very nice king-bed room.

"Decent hotel issue with price"
Graci L, 27 Juin 2017

It is cheaper to book online and it is to book directly to make a hotel which is really stupid. When you call the best Western they tell you that it's cheaper to book online which is great and if you're still planning vacation but if you are traveling and do not have Internet access you have to pay more to stay at the same hotel it just doesn't seem right to me

"Filthy"
charlesgJ3235RN, 16 Juin 2017

Made reservations a week in advance arrived at 6pm after a 10 hour drive room was filthy had to wait in lobby on furniture that smelled of body odor, no wifi in rooms after repeatedly complaining don't stay here

"Nice Modern hotel."
Fred P, 14 Juin 2017

Nice clean room, well furnished, good bed, Bathroom was good, Rocking chairs on the porch, (how good's that) Good Breakfast in a decent sized dinning room. Staff were spot on. Location suited us just fine,

"Weekend away in the Smokies"
Teresa F, 13 Juin 2017

Front desk Lady not very friendly. No toiletries such as soap, shampoo or lotion bottles in room. Had to go ask for it. Chintzy. Room was not cleaned until after 2:45 p.m. the second day. I have never stayed at a hotel that didn't clean before then. Appeared to be short-staffed. Older man cleaning rooms and seemed to be doing it all alone. For $310 for 2 nights, we didn't get the service I would have expected.

"Great staff, good breakfast - very helpful"
carol w, 13 Juin 2017

Traveling with family and had a great stay ! Breakfast was awesome, rooms were clean and spacious. 2 sinks made getting ready to go out easy ! Staff is extremely helpful and very nice. Pool was nice and pool slide was awesome !

"Very nice stay!"
yellowbird92, 09 Juin 2017

This place was clean and very nice. I like the fact is did NOT have carpet in the rooms...carpet seems so dirty, yet these floors made the room seem cleaner. The floor was faux wood vinyl. The beds were very good. Mattresses were top notch! The staff were all very friendly. The pool was nice and refreshing. We liked the fact there were picnic tables near the pool. We ordered pizza one night and ate it outside at the picnic tables. We spend a lot of time in nearby Cades Cove having a picnic lunch and watching the wildlife. While at the hotel we spend many mornings and evenings on the benches behind the hotel (looks out over a field and mountains) just relaxing and enjoying the outdoors. The breakfast was very good for hotel style breakfast: sausage, eggs, biscuits, gravy, waffles, cereal, yogurt, pastry, fruit (very slim pickings of fruit - only had bitter red delicious apples and no other choice). the Coffee was very good with three different kinds of creamer dispensers. My only complaint was the first night we stayed...just as we got to sleep good...the alarm clock went off at midnight! Then when I finally got back to sleep... a few hours later the alarm clock started going off in the vacant room next door to us. I called the front desk to ask if they could come turn it off. Finally after 10-15 mins he arrived and went into the room next door and shut off the alarm! By this point I was wide awake and could not get back to sleep. The only other problem we encountered was two doors down was a family with two little yippy dogs....that liked to bark all the time!

"Great hotel, beautiful surroundings."
jasonsY9081TR, 08 Juin 2017

My wife and I stayed here for our 13th wedding anniversary, and we couldn't have picked a better place. It was quiet, and surrounded by the beauty of the Smoky Mountians, instead of a heap of tourism.

"Great Stay"
Michael B, 30 Mai 2017

The room was perfectly appointed with new furniture and fixtures. Very clean with very comfortable beds and a large new flat screen TV set. The hotel was right in the middle of town and just down the road from the Caverns which was my first destination for the next day.

"Great location"
Q3748WQsusans, 27 Mai 2017

Hotel is located close to Smoky Mountain entrance in a small rural area. Great places to eat and walk (Trailhead Steakhouse across the street is really good - recommend making reservations). Location all the basic amenities one needs for a quiet relaxing vacation. Only issue was that when room was remodeled, the construction was not complete. Room was missing all the base boards.

"Great place to stay"
545dalet, 25 Mai 2017

Highly recommend this motel. Friendly staff, excellent breakfast, clean rooms, comfortable beds, and plenty of room make this a great place to stay. The location is convenient to good eating places, and nearby attractions. A great place to stay if you want to visit Cades Cove in the Smoky Mountains. Also, close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.

"Great stay..."
johnrW822JK, 25 Mai 2017

I have nothing to say but good things about my stay there. It was very quiet at night & the service & breakfast were excellent. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. It was close to other businesses that I frequented & the parking was excellent.

"Great location for the Smokies"
AdvByFigment, 18 Mai 2017

Very close to Cades Cove for some beautiful scenic driving and hiking. There is a nearby grocery store and the visitors center is right next door. Townsend truly is the quiet side of the Smokies and we enjoyed our stay. Free breakfast was nice with waffles, biscuits and gravy, eggs and sausage, coffee and bread. The room was spacious and clean. We were disappointed that the pool was under maintenance during our visit. Townsend was a really nice alternative to the other touristy cities, and we would gladly stay their again.

"Great hotel"
jasonmP9960XT, 17 Mai 2017

I have stayed there many times over the past 5 years for work. It is a great hotel in a quiet little town. It is not far from the Smoky Mountain Park and on side note if you are look for some great BBQ try Smokin Joes and have the corn nuggets for a side.

"Convenient to Cade's Cove"
travelontheroad08530, 11 Mai 2017

We stay here each time we visit Cade's Cove. Townsend is as close as we can get and we like the small, layer back town. The motel is very attractive and well kept. The front desk was very helpful in changing our room from a king to 2 queen upon arrival. I noticed they had modernized the room a bit this year. I appreciate the laminate floor and granite counters. The room are large and have a microwave and refrigerator. There are only 3 things I noticed this year that could be improved upon. We were given plenty of towels. Oddly the smaller ones were soft, but the bath towels were too scratchy. New shower heads had been installed, but the water power coming from ours was too low. The bed was comfortable with great and many pillows; however, the blanket and spread were too thin and quite ugly. Breakfast here is great. There are always hot items and a waffle machine. The biscuits are terrific. The coffee from the machine is delicious.

"No soundproofing at all"
pingaroo, 05 Mai 2017

We stayed here for 1 night in April while hiking in the Cades Cove area of the Great Smoky Mountains NP. The hotel was clean and conveniently located for the park (5 min drive from the entrance) and restaurants (don't miss Trailhead Steakhouse across the street). The included breakfast was not the best. Sausages were too salty, and so were the scrambled eggs, while the coffee tasted like coffee-flavoured water. Our room was on the ground floor facing the back of the hotel. It was spacious and clean, and the bed was comfortable and the perfect hardness. We also enjoyed a cold beer on the rocking chairs on the front porch. After a day of hiking, we fell asleep very quickly on the nice mattress. Unfortunately, around 10pm, we were woken up by extremely loud next door neighbours who partied way into the night (past midnight), both in the room and on the front porch. We were probably unlucky because not many reviewers complained about the noise. However, the rooms were adjoining, and there was a large crack at the bottom of the door. There was no soundproofing at all! We don't recommend staying here.

"Quiet and Peaceful"
mikensane1, 04 Mai 2017

Hotel was nice and clean, had a great breakfast with the usual items. A quiet place to stay in a small town. Liked it so much we extended our stay here instead of another hotel we planned to stay at. Access to Cades Cove is is a bonus

"The Quiet Side of the Smokies"
sharoncU3745NU, 04 Mai 2017

Townsend is a great place to stay in the Smokies and the Best Western in Townsend makes it easy to stay there. It was quiet and convenient to Gatlinburg and the National Park, as well as Maryville. The staff was helpful and it was nice to be able to get breakfast in the hotel lobby. This was the second time we have stayed in this hotel and would stay there again!

"Worth A Stay!?"
Ron A, 03 Mai 2017

The motel's location was perfect for walking after checking in. There was a walking trail paved along the road. The check-in staff had problems with the motel computer system & it took her to later in the evening to finish the check-in process. But she kept on trying and not giving up. Each room had two rocking chairs outside each room & just like sitting on a porch & talking with folks who walked by. Note: be sure to visit a very old cemetery located to the left side of the motel which had many headstones dating back to 1700's & 1800's..

"Weekend Getaway"
Judy J, 30 Avril 2017

Chose this BW for two reasons and one being location and the fact that it is pet friendly. The room was very spacious and clean. The bed was excellent. The only problem experienced was trouble with the internet. It was very slow. Everyone was friendly upon check in and out. Will definitely use this motel again.

"great location to enter the GSMNP"
Detroit425, 28 Avril 2017

Can't beat the location if you're visiting the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The hotel is newer, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was a step above the average hotel breakfast. The staff was not especially well informed of local area eateries or their own room amenities, but they were always willing to make the effort to find out, so i can't really fault them too much.

"Cade's Cove Adjacent "
myraleb, 21 Avril 2017

This is my favorite rest stop on the quiet side of the Smokies. The rooms are BW standard quality, the breakfast delicious and extensive. In all, comfortable, quietly satisfying, in an excellent and convenient location to other area attractions. LOVE the rockers outside each room!

"Great stay"
Patti V, 20 Avril 2017

Not a bad place as this is our third visit to Best Western Cades Cove Inn. Although there was a stink bug on the curtain when we got there, I figure those bugs are everywhere, even in Erie PA, no worries. Other than that it's a great place. Kinda busy tonight due to the Bronco thing going on.

"Great location!"
Lori W, 15 Avril 2017

Beautiful views, convenient to the National Park, reasonable cost. The room could have been cleaner. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was great! It truly is the "peaceful side of the Smokies" and still close enough to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge that there are lots of choices of things to do!

"Nicest affordable room in Townsend"
S9930AYdavids, 07 Avril 2017

We arrived a couple of hours early and were allowed to go ahead and check in. The room was updated and very nice. The floors were wood laminate and very clean---no stinky carpet!! We booked the room at a great price before we left home, and will definitely stay there again.

"Recently modernised"
funkimunki67, 06 Avril 2017

We stayed at this hotel as part of a three week road trip and stayed at a number of different hotels. This review is written from a comparative view and is therefore hoped to give an objective view. We had a two night stay at this hotel....check in was fine. Room was on the ground floor and had a modern feel about it having been updated. The room was large though the laminate floor did give it a bit of an office type feel. This in no way detracts from the room and is just a personal opinion. Large comfortable bed, extra blanket supplied when asked for as it was a bit chilly when we stayed. The gym was good although the treadmill did not work as the emergency cut off switch had been removed. Breakfast on both mornings was was good, lots of choice both hot and cold and plenty of seating. This was one of the best hotels of its type on our trip and would return if in the area. Plenty of parking, just be careful if you turn up when it is dark and/or raining as the area has no street lighting and it can be difficult to see where to turn.

"Good value for the money"
Larryjoe, 04 Avril 2017

Good location, restful scenery around the hotel. Easy access to the bike trail. The room was clean and good value for the money. We couldn't believe the breakfast, biscuit and gravy, bacon, sausage, eggs, fruit, etc. We will stay there again.

"Hotel Stay"
LeAnn Brian A, 27 Mars 2017

Great location and excellent service! We had never stayed in this town before and we were highly impressed! If you are wanting a break from the hustle and bustle, Townsend is where it is at! Friendly people in this town! We will definitely be back!

"Stands up to the name--peaceful side of the Mountain."
jlofton2016, 21 Mars 2017

The Room was great. It has 2 floors and set of stairs in middle on both sides so may not be for everyone or try to get a ground floor. We liked the 2nd floor and the room was spotless. We loved the new thin bedspreads that looked like the could be washed very easily and the woodlook flooring was MUCH cleaner than carpet would be. Also they have a Great Breakfast each morning.

"Horrendous customer service at front desk"
alc2626, 28 Novembre 2016

As a guest of the hotel I called the front desk to see if they could help me arrange a car to the Knoxville airport, or simply give me a number to a local cab company so that I could call myself - a reasonable request at ANY hotel I have ever stayed at. The woman at the front desk told me "no, you can google it." Unbelievably rude.

"Base camp for our Smoky Mountain trip."
Jeffmx64, 25 Novembre 2016

My wife and I along with our grandchildren wanted to spend a few days in the Smoky Mountains during our trip back home to Michigan. We chose the Best Western Cades Cove Inn as our "base-camp" for our day trips into the Smokys. We chose this area as we wanted to be away from all of the tourists and attractions at Pigeon Forge. The town of Townsend is small and quiet, just perfect for our trip. The motel was clean, service was prompt and the kids absolutely loved the pool. There is also a local restaurant directly across the street within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

"Townsend, TN Best Western"
BillTidwell, 23 Novembre 2016

Recently remodeled. A very nice destination. Located across the street from a good restaurant. The remodeling job was very comprehensive. All the new fixtures were high quality. The fit and finish is good.

"Nice Motel, but pricey."
acouch14, 23 Novembre 2016

The motel was very nice, but I wasn't expecting to have to pay what I paid for the room for one night. Since I got home it has been advertised for $40.00 per night less than I paid. The breakfast was very good and the room was very clean.

"Great Spot for visiting Cades Cove"
gegulley, 18 Novembre 2016

This was lovely little hotel just outside of the National Park. Very convenient access to the park. Room was very clean and employees were very friendly. The breakfast in the morning was delicious. We will be back!!

"Never again!"
Skennedy1964, 17 Novembre 2016

We stayed here after a long day of work the driving. The room was clean but the bed was very bad. There was no hot water it was just warm. We had to cheek in late and the man was very nice. We did not eat the breakfast.

"Great Stay near the Great Smoky Mountains"
Kevin J, 13 Novembre 2016

Great place to stay. Cades Cove is nearby. Breakfast is very good and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was very polite and efficient. We stay here whenever we are in the area and they have rooms available.

"Wont stay here again."
Richard M, 27 Octobre 2016

We were a group of photographers and we chose this Hotel because the location was close to where we were going to spend the day working. We needed early wake up calls but never got calls at the correct time, always late. (computer problem we were told). TV didn't work, Breakfast was not served until 6:45 AM, at least an hour late for photographers that need to be on the job by 7AM. Lobby locked until 6:45 AM so we could not even get a cup of coffee. They did offer togo breakfast bags which was OK but still a long way from a hot breakfast.

"Great Location to visit the Great Smokey's"
Francelma, 21 Octobre 2016

We booked this BW the morning of our stay. I was shocked by the price, but I new it was the last room available and in the Smoky Mountain National Park. We received a pleasant welcome even though it was 11PM. The outside side looked Lovely with Fall decorations and Rocking Chairs outside of every room. Then we opened the door to the room. The WORST motel smell EVER !! It had Signs of upgrading and appeared clean to our weary eyes. But we had to turn on the fan and leave the door open for a while. The beds were very comfortable and clean. The furnishings were ugly black press board and strictly utilitarian..no Style. Towels small and thread bare. Turns out that in day light the carpet looked old and was most likely the sorce of the smell. The location could not have been better..quiet and lovely...excellent for what we wanted to do in the park. AND best breakfast ! We did stay a second night and would recommend it with a warning !! Fran

"Stay in the Mountains"

Nice clean rooms - showers need major IMPROVEMENT. Very poor water pressure. staff was very helpful - went out of their way for us as we were late arrival. Have stayed here several times and would probably do this again

"3rd Agent Reservation snag"
Larry F, 19 Octobre 2016

Travelers beware of so called 3rd party Booking agents. We went for wedding annv weekend. Found a toll free # on quick search, phone clerk quoted a higher rate than our music seminar info packet. We credit paid in FULL over phone ALL SET, On Friday check in with MGR , we were bumped up another $ 40 rate. Very argumentative with 3rd Party , refuse to check their #'s.. When call 800 # for agency customer service, they do not even answer phone or call back . All menu driven F.A.Q.'s !! I am a points member of B.W..... Also points member of two other national chains hotels... Weather was perfect that weekend and would have Extended if both mgmt was even interested. Good Bye Best Western. Did have best breakfast included in town.

"Best Chain Hotel in Townsend"
slparnell, 16 Octobre 2016

Do not hesitate to stay at BW Cades Cove Inn, Townsend TN. The complimentary breakfast is much better than any other chain hotel in which I have stayed. The Inn is near the Smoky Mountain Heritage Center, Townsend Visitor Center, Highway 321 which provides easy access to Weirs Valley and Pigeon Forge and Little River Road entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Cades Cove.

"Good Location"
Jerry G, 16 Octobre 2016

Nice property, comfortable room, great hot breakfast! Very convenient to Cades Cove and area attractions. I was given a handicapped room that I didn't ask for and had issues with the 'hot' water never being hot in the shower or sinks. It was warm enough to shower so I just let it ride and mentioned it when I left. Free Wifi worked well.

"Smell was gagging."
travelingrose2015, 15 Octobre 2016

The rooms have all been saturated with overpowering sweet smelling room fresheners. When I asked if I could have a less stinky room, the receptionist informed me it was up to me to let them know, when making a reservation, that they shouldn't use room fresheners. Never heard that one before. It was nauseating but unfortunately, there were no other hotels available, so we tried our best to air it out and toughed it out. Thought we didn't have hot water but discovered the hot and cold faucets have been switched. Not a good experience.

"Nope!"
Campbells1981, 11 Octobre 2016

Love Townsend! This was our first stay at the Best Western Cade's Cove, and will be our last. We had reserved 4 nights but moved to another hotel after just one night. Pros : Room was large. Bathroom was clean. Bed comfortable. Polite staff. Cons : No hot water! Shower had no water pressure and shower head was the most pitiful thing I had ever seen described as a shower head. Every piece of furniture was run down to the point of coming from a used furniture yard sale. Asked for an extra pillow. They do not have extra pillows we were told. Terrible lighting in every room! I usually do not like to give a bad review but we were so disappointed that I had to give others a heads up.

"Family fun weekend"
Melinda C, 11 Octobre 2016

great experience at this best western! clean well kept rooms, the whole property was clean and inviting, friendly staff , breakfast was great ,and always ready on time, loved the rocking chairs outside the rooms and benches in back of hotel , can watch the sunrise and sunset over the mountains pigeon forge too congested! this is quiet side of smokies can still get to attractions in about 15-20 minutes

"Great Stay"
James L, 04 Octobre 2016

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was our first time staying in Townsend and will not be our last. It is so quiet and the lack of traffic is great. The breakfast is very good here. It is a great location to get to other areas quickly without all of the crowds.

"Met my expectations: clean, comfortable, priced right"
AngusMacTavish0, 27 Septembre 2016

This is a good place to stay if you are going to visit the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The park entrance is a few miles away. The hotel offers a good breakfast in addition to a clean room and a comfortable bed.

"Great weekend in the Smokies"
Thomas H R, 26 Septembre 2016

Local music and craft festivals brought us here. We found a new restaurant to enjoy just across the highway from the motel -The Steak House. Absolutely superb quality food and staff. We will revisit this area more often because of this weekend.

"Nice enough, but could be improved..."
Jeff K, 26 Septembre 2016

I have a mobility disability... and this place does not have an elevator to the 2nd floor. I just wanted to point this out for anyone that it may concern, I do not count this against the Best Western folks. I use BW a lot and hold the highest level of rewards that they offer. Thus they upgraded me to a king suite for no additional charge. It was a very nice room and we enjoyed it... fireplace... garden tub... double size room with a sofa sleeper etc. Everything was nice, it is a clean and modern facility. The only problem that I had that took away from the experience... was housekeeping doesnt seem to do a good job of checking inventory and things. For example our shower shampoo was empty when we arrived, and there was only one coffee in the room. And only two towels. I wrote a note to housekeeping and left a tip... asking them to do three things. Fix the remote so it would change channels, replace the shampoo in the shower and leave coffee. They did fix the remote, only left two coffees and did not replace the shower shampoo. Nor did they clean the old coffee pod out of the machine. None of this was a huge deal... just an annoyance. I wish they would do better. I'll probably give them another chance next time I'm in the area, I like the location and as I said the facility was nice as well.

"Perfect location for touring the Smokey Mountain Area"
GetAway007, 10 Septembre 2016

Clean and comfortable place to stay and the staff is excellent. The pool is outdoors and has a slide. King Suite is huge and has an electric fireplace and a spa tub. Many choices for breakfast including hot food, cereal, fruit, pastries, toast, yogurt, coffee and juice. There is a visitors center right next door and also a bike path. Location was key for us. We were looking for a place to ride our motorcycle for a couple days away from our RV. Location is close to scenic drives including the Cades Cove Loop, the Smokey Mountain National Park, Foothills Parkway and not too far from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Would love to go back. Lot's more to see.

"Clean and good breakfast"
Melissa S, 09 Septembre 2016

Bed is very firm (not horrible just not my favorite). WISH THERE WAS AN OUTDOOR BATHROOM FOR POOL AREA!! Pool was clean and we enjoyed it! :) The breakfast was fresh and tasted great. (except the fruit not too sure about it). I also LOVED that I could have coffee any time of the day! :)

"...Hospitality with a smile...best location to see Cades Cove.."
louann d, 06 Septembre 2016

Stayed here to be close to visit Cades Cove...excellent staff...great breakfast...super clean rooms...we had a bad experience the night before at Quality Inn on Winfield Dunn Pkwy in Sevierville Tenn..we called Bestwestern and they took our family in with open arms.....Thank you Staff for your hospitality..

"Perfect location!"
TampaFLRuthy, 05 Septembre 2016

While the rooms are getting dated and tired, there was a reason to stay here. They have rocking chairs outside of every room to enjoy the scenery.. They even had a fireplace and jacuzzi in our room which was value priced ar $78!! Breakfast is fine; nothing exciting, but freshly made waffles sure helped. My only negative is there are no elevators, so that the second floor is hard to access for an older person carrying luggage. And you WANT the second floor for the view as well as to avoid the noise of the annoying motorcycles..

"Nice place "
Maddog1947, 29 Août 2016

My wife and I stayed here for one night due to having a couple of coupons for Best Western 's 'Stay twice, get $50.00' gift card promotion. Upon arriving, I found that the desk clerk on duty had no idea how to redeem the cards. She stated that I would have to see the manager about redeeming the cards. She was pleasant enough but it appeared she hadn't been doing the job for very long. The room was nice and the bed was fairly comfortable but there was a large crack at the bottom left side of the door. The door didn't seal properly and therefore let in a lot of noise. (Local critters would also have an easy way of entering the room if they so desired.) Breakfast was good. The breakfast area was large and quite pleasant. All in all, a pleasant stay. (Oh, by the way, I did talk to the manager and I got my gift cards redeemed.)

"Convenient to Cades Cove"
E2099KKdavida, 23 Août 2016

This is a very convenient spot for touring the Smokies. There was nothing fancy about the room, but pick first floor as it is more convenient for loading and unloading. Breakfast did not officially start until 7 am, but things were out before then, and they should really start serving earlier for folks who want to get into the Park early! The breakfast offerings were ample and varied. The swimming pool was nice on a hot afternoon.

"Clean, Reliable & Cheap"
Adam G, 22 Août 2016

For the person who isn't spending all day in the hotel this is a great stop to get a warm bed and a nice break before heading out on the adventures. About the same price as a campsite in the area. Great location close to Cades Cove.

Place was nice and clean. We came from the North and used Highway 321. This road is very curvy. Coming after dark as we did proved for some pretty tense driving moments. Otherwise, the motel was very nice and fairly close to Cades Cove (and about an hour and a half to Clingman's Dome.

"Extra Day Stay"
DonnaLMB, 17 Août 2016

We took an extra day to relax and enjoy Townsend hospitality, river and mountains on way home to FL. After horseback ride yesterday, I slept 4-5 hours on our second room bed. Both King (1st nite) and queen (2nd nite) were vert comfortable. Staff was friendly and accommodating when we asked to stay over. Breakfast was good first AM, but down the road at Country Steak and Eggs terrific. Very nice for families on vacation. Quiet and clean everywhere. Thank you!

"Bad expierience!"
Teresa C, 17 Août 2016

We had a reservation for 2 night stay the front desk clerk could not find it and did not have Room for the price we booked and acted like she did not know how to handle our situation. so we finally went to another Motel but thgis is the first bad expierirence we have had with best western we have stay at Best Westerns before with no problems do not know how this happened.

"Very disappointed!"
horsecrzy58, 16 Août 2016

Upon arrival the pillows were on the chairs without pillow cases and a large pile of pillow cases sitting on the bed! The bathroom had black stuff on the wall and dirt along the baseboard. The fridge never did work, was told oh its just defrosting even though it was set on coldest setting. I lost the food that I had brought. The only good thing I can say is that the breakfast was good

"Well located, well maintained property."
Stanley A, 15 Août 2016

Located near good restaurants, easy access to the GSMNP and the foothills parkway. A well maintained property letting you focus on your business/ vacation. A decent hot breakfast. Does not have a washing machine or dryer for guest access but a decent laundromat is located in the vicinity.

"The staff and the cleaness was Excelent"
Serge T, 15 Août 2016

If ever i am traveling and drive through there again i will defanettly stay there again the service and the staff were very welcoming we ended staying there 2 times at the beganing of our trip and at the end of our trip.

"Very clean, nice breakfast"
BeaPA, 14 Août 2016

We stayed here the 1st week of August, the beds and bedding were new and very clean. We had a king NS room, with a frige, micro, and coffee pot. The breakfast included 2 fruits every day, eggs, sausage and the usual cereals and pastries. It was very quiet and the staff was friendly.. Our tub wasn't draining properly and they sent someone to fix it right away. It is a short 14 miles into Pigeon Forge, They have a pool and it was kept very clean. Our rooms were reasonably priced. booked through an online broker at around $70 a night. I would stay there again

"overall satisfaction"
Timothy D, 09 Août 2016

excellent in all areas, highly recommended, service was friendly and excellent with attention given to detail. breakfast was better than most restaurants and had something for everyone. location was excellent to the nearby activities and the view of the mountains from their outside rocking chairs was simply phenomenal

"Vacation Stay"
Jerry C, 08 Août 2016

This is one of two of the best motels I have ever stayed in and is the best "Best Western" motel I have ever stayed in. The condition of the motel and room was outstanding. The staff were excellent. I was very pleased and would recommend this motel to anyone.

"Not up to it's potential"
Stephen H, 07 Août 2016

The property is great, as is the staff, but there were issues. The property is well maintained at a good location with acceptable parking. Most of the issues centered around breakfast. We were there 5 nights. Breakfast was advertised to start at 7:00. One morning it was ready & waiting at 7, other days, not so much. One day the doors didn't open till after 7 then it took them almost a half hour before we could eat. One thing consistent was the food was lukewarm at best. The breakfast selection was acceptable and "hot" items included scrambled eggs, biscuits, gravy & sausage. A waffle maker was available. The proper equipment was available, it just wasn't used properly. There was just so much potential for this hotel that had it been realized the hotel would have been great. Overall, the location worked great as it was away from the areas congested zones, but had easy access to attractions.

"really"
User, 05 Août 2016

Upon checking in, we were greeted at the front desk by a fairly new employee who seemed to be new to the job and area. Although she was polite, I feel the front desk should be able to provide some information on the area. She didn`t say a thing. Upon entering the room, a strange smell is present. Once in the room, it is less noticeable . Wanting to take a Jacuzzi soak, I found that the tub will not operate. When I called the front desk, she originally informed me that they will take a look at it tomorrow. After informing her that her answer was unacceptable, I asked what she would do for me today. She said there is nothing that she can do for me. Once again I explained that was unacceptable and asked to speak to a manager. She called back and offered to take 10% off the room price for the first night. Wow, the room, which has a bed, 2 chairs, a tv , armoire, micro, and mini fridge for a sum of $150+ per night. Not at all what I expected from a Best Western. I am thinking Motel 6 is a step up from this hotel. Too bad there are no rooms avaliable nearby or we would be GONE.

"Very nice !"
Nicolas L, 03 Août 2016

Very nice hotel ! Very clean ! Nice pool and friendly staff ! Easy parking. It was a good choice after a long day on the road. Super good restaurant right across the road from the hotel: the Trailhead steakhouse. The breakfast buffet is very good and generous.

"Fun Weekend"
Thomas K, 01 Août 2016

Loved the stay. Hotel room clean and quite. TV sound stopped working on the second day, and internet speed and stability was very poor. But staff were very friendly, helpful, and warm/welcoming. Everything was good.

"Pleasure trip to the smokey Mountains"
Freda L, 01 Août 2016

As I said, the hotel was clean comfortable, it was in a good location with a good view of the mountains. If you could manage to separate the people with animals from the people without animals it would be good. Once you are bitten by a dog you have a fear of all dogs.

"Nice"
IplayNdirt, 31 Juillet 2016

We are meeting friends tomorrow to stay in a cabin that we have rented for this week but decided to get a room for tonight and drive down early. This is a great place. Very reasonable and clean. I will definitely keep it in mind for another time. We come often. And I have to admit. I do like the quieter side of the smokies. 17 miles is not too far for a day trip into Pigeon Forge.

"Brief stay"
Kelly B, 25 Juillet 2016

Just a one night stay on the way to a long week end at a mountain cabin but the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the staff was pleasant. The breakfast wasn't that great but it did the trick, would stay again if we were in the area.

"No complaints..!"
Dennis H, 23 Juillet 2016

Townsend can easily be considered a destination although many people simply "pass thru" on their way to Gatlinburg and P. Forge..! Love this little town. This motel is competitively priced (translation: it is overpriced like all lodging near our nation's most visited park) and packs as much bang for the buck as can be expected. Great hot breakfast leaves you satisfied to start your day..!

"Great Value"
Susan J, 23 Juillet 2016

We stayed here 2 nights during our mountain mini trip. We got a great deal thru hotwire during peak season. We liked the location outside of the busy tourist area and the river is across the street along with the trailhead steakhouse. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was included. There is a pool but only 2 umbrella tables that were taken so we couldn't stay too long poolside. We had the first floor with 2 rocking chairs to sit outside with a good book and mountains beside us. A cabin in this area may have been nicer but given the price and short notice we landed a deal at this spot!

"Townsend is the place to stay when visiting Smokey Mountain National Park"
RLPSanAntonio_Tx, 21 Juillet 2016

This is the quiet side of the park, and this hotel is nice, but pricey. Very small town and not much to do in town, but if you just want a restful stay in the mountains, this is a good place. Bed and pillows excellent, clean hotel, nice towels, but stingy with them, and second day no bath mat. Swimming pool was excellent.Good breakfast, but no OJ!! first day. I fussed and got it the second morning.

"Decent place to stay away from the crowds of Gatlinburg"
Johnny B, 18 Juillet 2016

We took a 2-week road trip to the Smokey Mountains. Since the park straddles the border of Tennessee and North Carolina, we decided to stay a few days on each side. On the Tennessee side we decided not to stay in Gatlinburg due to it being so crowded and touristy. We did visit Gatlinburg as it is only about 20 - 30 minutes away from Townsend and it was definitely crowded. Townsend was close enough and way more laid back. If you are riding motorcycles, I definitely recommend Townsend over Gatlinburg. The BW Cades Cove was decent. The staff was friendly and the rooms were nice. My only complaint is that I am used to staying in BWs and one of the reasons is because I like their breakfasts. Unfortunately, I did not like the breakfast at this location so we ended up going out to breakfast each day we were there. Other than that, we did like the hotel. The only other complaint was that internet usage was sparse. It was very difficult to get reception.

"Stayed 1 night, clean good location"
zanshin16, 15 Juillet 2016

Were not there long all was good. The only real problem was they had Shampoo and Soap dispensers in the Shower. Got in the Shower and the Soap was empty. Too late to do anything at that point. So I used Shampoo!

"Weekend getaway"
lisa b, 09 Juillet 2016

Staff very friendly, room was clean and air was cold, only thing was the lobby - breakfast area was hot and had a few flies around food, would have like more fresh fruit not fruit cocktail. Will stay again. Jimmy was very friendly and helpful. We checked in right after a major thunderstorm and he was wet but still very professional and friendly

"Comfy, peaceful, reasonably priced place"
Joann L, 07 Juillet 2016

We were pleasantly surprised at the rate at this hotel so convenient to the Great Smokey Mountain National Park as I was told things could get very pricey in that area. The room was comfortable as were the beds. A great, hot breakfast was offered that had something for everyone. Rooms were well kept up.

"Best Western is the Best"
395edwardt, 01 Juillet 2016

Best Western in Cades Cove is a great motel to stay when planning a trip to Cades Cove. It is centrally located, easy access to the Smokey Mountain National Park, plenty of restaurants and the staff at the Best Western Cades Cove are exceptionally friendly and go out of their way to assist you. I will be staying here again.

"Could be cleaner..."
Jason G, 01 Juillet 2016

The sheets on one of the beds had stains. The owner was kind of enough to bring another fitted sheet for the bed. There was a stain on the carpet between the two beds like a drink was spilled and then not cleaned up. The carpets should be at least spot treated if not shampooed and maintained better. The amount of noise people made outside late into the night was ridiculous. We tried to use the pool on the second day but the lawn maintenance people were out there making noise around the pool for hours when people could have been using the pool (around 1:00). The breakfast room was crowded and the staff confused about the amount of food they should have had prepared. I would probably stay somewhere else next time.

"Friendly staff and clean rooms"
Jesse H, 27 Juin 2016

We recently stayed at Best Western in Cades Cove. We stayed for 2 nights, the staff were very friendly, the rooms were clean and the breakfast was very good. Overall we had a nice stay and would go back again.

"Good visit"
Jon J, 26 Juin 2016

Stayed here on Saturday night on the bottom floor and had a good visit. The place has a little age to it but room was clean and staff was really nice. Breakfast was ok with the usual fair eggs, biscuits, gravy, cereal. Would I stay here again? Yes I will return!

"Motorcycle trip"
ladtvtxrider, 25 Juin 2016

Two story hotel, no elevators..was short staffed while we were there, but staff was welcoming & breakfast area was well maintained with many choices. great restraunt for dinner right across the street which was nice after being on the bikes in the heat all day. Room was clean, nice rocking chairs right outside the rooms to enjoy the sunset. They have a well maintained pool area also.

"I'd stay here again"
Alexis H, 23 Juin 2016

Staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed here for the Smoky mountain crawl Ruckus meet. Only two gripes I have are: Wifi sucked and we were upstairs and had no water pressure- those hold me back from a 5 star review. Other than that the stay was great. I appreciate soy milk being an option for breakfast also.

"John's review"
John T N, 21 Juin 2016

Average overall, but convenient to our points of interest. Slow internet, clogged shower head, very poor internet reception with our Verizon hot spot, eggs and saugage never changed during our 3 night stay. No sofa in room, and uncomfortable chairs.

"Cades Cove Best Western"
Julie F, 19 Juin 2016

My family and I have stayed at this hotel in previous years and it is always a pleasure. The rooms and property are meticulously maintained and everyone is friendly. The pool is clean and includes a water slide, which makes my daughter very happy! There are restaurants within walking distance, a miniature golf course and Little River is just down the street. It is also very close to tubing businesses and the Cades Cove entrance. Davy Crockett's horse riding stable is a brief drive down the road and also a friendly fun time. This is my family's annual go to place for fun and relaxation. If you have a pulse, there is plenty to do but it is just as easy to relax and unwind! ;)

"Very Nice"
MulberryHollow7, 18 Juin 2016

Our first time to stay in Townsend. We usually stay in Gatlinburg. The motel was beautiful. Our check-in clerk didn't seem to want bothered and was rude. She gave no information as far as times for breakfast/pool or ice machine locations. Rooms were cool and very clean with the exception of a large stain on the bed skirt and small holes on the sheet. During the week we did see a few large roach like bugs. The breakfast really is a FULL breakfast. Pool was warm and clean. We will certainly go back!

"Surprisingly Impressed--Would Definitely Return"
Janice S, 17 Juin 2016

We chose the Best Western in Townsend for its convenient location to Cades Cove. From the time of our arrival, we were surprisingly impressed with the hotel. Very friendly, helpful staff. Nice appearance, clean rooms, and nice amenities.

"Lovely room"
Michelle L, 14 Juin 2016

I liked the contemporary decor of the room. The breakfast served was ample (biscuits and gravy, fruit, yogurt, sausage, cereal, sweet rolls, juices, waffles) and made for a great start to our day. Everything was clean. Only negative was some guests talking outside until late, but they were having an enjoyable time so we didn't report it...

"nice and quite"
Bonita B, 10 Juin 2016

enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again!......breakfast was good, rooms clean, staff helpful and friendly, price reasonable and great location....Been to townsend many times and enjoy each time we have visited....close to pigeon forge and not as crowded, thank goodness!

"Good stay"
Johnhs, 06 Juin 2016

Touring USA. Arrived in pouring rain, tried this one first and seemed fine, little expensive (but the area is). Slept well, room clean if a little dull, no problems, above average breakfast. Hve to pad out to 200 characters.

"Could not get any sleep"
Jerry W, 04 Juin 2016

People were drinking, yelling out in the parking lot and slamming doors all night. The police had to be called which helped very little. The room was not very clean and charged us $175 for one night because it was Friday. Use extreme caution.

"Good service, poor facility"
Peggy G, 24 Mai 2016

Can you say ugly? Rooms dark and dingy. Outside swimming pool - no water - tarp haphazardly strewn over it. That said, the staff was very friendly and attentive, they just didn't have much to work with.

"Not All We Had Hoped For"
Jtheisen4, 22 Mai 2016

While the rate was decent, I would gladly have paid a little extra for a cleaner room and friendlier staff. There was food on the floor that the vacuum missed, no booklet of helpful information (breakfast serving times, area attractions, nearby churches...), and the towels were not very soft and looked dingy. I would definitely look elsewhere on our next visit to Townsend.

"Close to Cades Cove"
Mawmaw2005, 18 Mai 2016

This is close to Cades Cove and makes it possible to visit the park late in the evening or early in the morning when the wildlife is more active. The room was clean and updated with a refrigerator. Our king size bed was very comfortable. The door to the room is accessed through the outside but we felt very safe. Breakfast was good and freshly prepared. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this part of Tennessee.

"Graduation stay- high school"
Judy F, 18 Mai 2016

Breakfast quality sub-par. Room service failed to replenish coffee after first nite stay. Few personal bath amenities like shampoo, lotion as compared to those furnished by Holiday Inn Express. POOL WAS INOPERATIVE/BROKE??Although it was advertised as a feature. Choice of breads advertised but not furnished. Room entrance door rubbed hard on flooring carpet. Room price high for value received.

"Peaceful"
donnettad284, 16 Mai 2016

Quiet and out of the hustle and bustle of the "new" Smoky Mountains. You can visit Pigeon Forge and Gatilinburg then go back to Townsend for that quiet peaceful setting. I love the rocking chairs outside of the doors.

"Close hotel to Cades Cove"
BadgerBob67, 09 Mai 2016

We stayed there April 23-25, and found the room clean, and the motel well cared for. Warm breakfast, was whatever you made of it. Scrambled eggs, sausage patties, u-make waffles, cold cereal or instant oatmeal, yogurt, bagels, toast, or sweet rolls: were adequate and started at 7:00 A.M. Bacon with the eggs would have been a nice touch. I forgot the biscuits/gravy, as I never developed a taste, and the appearance of the gravy turns me off. I'm sure some rave about it. I did have a biscuit one morning with butter and jam, and it was fine. Pool was closed, but roses on the grounds were in bloom. As my wife and I reprised a 5 mile hike (Abrams Falls), we took 50 years and a month earlier with our two sons, then 2 1/2 and 3 weeks old, I appreciated the fact that the bathtub held hot water, and that it did get hot. While the large rock we ate our lunch on is not as horizontal as we remembered it, and we didn't carry the sons this time, it was nice to be able to soak in a hot bath afterwards. However, it was disappointing when we dragged our tired bodies back to the door to our room, we found the keys had been changed, and didn't work. The desk cheerfully remedied this however.

"Excellent location, staff was wonderful, room was not worth the expense"
Kim S, 09 Mai 2016

I paid $144 for a room that had hair in the shower (the room was otherwise clean), a strong odor from the AC unit, and a space between the door and the jamb that let in all the noise from the parking lot and neighbors. I think it was overpriced. Otherwise, the location is fantastic, just a few miles away from Cades Cover and other local attractions and restaurants. The staff was also very nice.

"Cades Cove hotel"
Joel O, 02 Mai 2016

This hotel is very nicely situated above the highway leading to the Cades Cove area of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The hotel is clean, very well cared for, and the grounds are immaculate, with roses, great expanse of lawn, and very quiet.

"Cade's Cove Inn a disappointment."
Beverly F, 01 Mai 2016

We have stayed here many times before and liked it very much. But on 04/28/16 we spent the night and it wasn't great. A neighborhood dog barked all night. We couldn't drown it out because the tv wouldn't work. Ice machine was broken on the 2nd floor. Breakfast was 20 minutes late being served and then it was biscuits and cold gravy. No coffee, breads, or juices.

"Busy Weekend"
AngelaG, 01 Mai 2016

We arranged to meet friends not knowing it was the Bronco Festival and this was the only place with vacancies - even though we booked in January and got a good rate. I am a loyalty member and was disappointed that we were allocated an accessible room (which I did not request) next to the maintenance room and which had a slight odour - although it was clean, Our friends reserved at the same time and requested a room near to ours, but were put at the opposite side of the building. These were not the only rooms available as when I checked in the lady was having a telephone conversation stating she had three cancellations. That aside, the hotel itself was clean and the breakfast was good, although on the Saturday morning people were having to stand to eat whilst thoughtless people sat and talked after finishing eating (which was not the hotels fault).

"Great place that allows pets"
Angela D, 26 Avril 2016

The rooms were nice and comfortable. Housekeeping was so nice and great with our dogs. Great location as we were attending the Bronco Festival at Tally Ho. Rate was $79 for Thursday and Friday but it went WAY up on Saturday at $189 which was kinda crazy. Other people we spoke to said they paid $79 on Saturday night but by the time I had that information, we were long gone. Who knows, but otherwise, great hotel.

"Joy Ministry loved their stay!"
Linda B, 17 Avril 2016

Excellent place to stay with a country-like setting away from all the hustle and bustle, and with a delicious full breakfast. I also enjoyed the cleanliness and service and the toiletry dispensers. We had a group of 8 and rented 4 rooms. All were pleased.

"Still peaceful"
hornbender, 10 Avril 2016

This property has gotten a little more expensive and a little less nice each time we have stayed. At least they have bars of soap in the room now, as opposed to only wall mounted dispensers which don't work. Breakfast is a little less each time, but is still pretty good.

"Quick Stop"
Frank M, 02 Avril 2016

We were passing through on our way to the beach. The hotel was easy to book online while traveling. We only stayed one night but would highly recommend this hotel. Rooms were clean staff was awesome. The room was also very quiet and the price was good! We will definitely stay here again in the future! The Meredith family Charlestown, IN

"Excellent value"
Jeffrey Brent P, 01 Avril 2016

If you are looking for a quiet getaway to the mountains with access to local amenities, this is it. Newly refurbished rooms are clean and spacious. It's only 15 minutes to Cades Cove. The local restaurants are within walking distance. Pet and biker friendly.

"good stay"
Gary E, 01 Avril 2016

This is a really good place to stay. we love the town. it is very quiet and peaceful. but the hotel does not have a elevator. we had to carry our luggage up two fleets of stairs. which isn't fun after a hard hike. then when we got up in the morning we noticed we didn't have enough wash cloths. Two cloths doesn't work well for four people. Had to go down stairs and ask for more. other than that we enjoyed our stay.

"overnight stay in Townsend"
Lynn M, 31 Mars 2016

The beds are nice, the rooms spacious, the breakfast is hot. But, the WIFI does not work well. We stayed overnight, and would stay again, because it was very clean. The bathroom uses soap dispensers instead of tiny bars (lavender scented)

"Perfect for an overnight before visiting Smoky Mtns"
Bama V, 29 Mars 2016

We decided to stay at this hotel based on it's location to Cades Cove. The staff was great and the room was perfect--clean and comfy. The internet service was great and the breakfast was decent for my family--we had biscuits and cereal. It was a great value as well!

"Beautfully updated gem in the Smokies"
gdlckbear22, 29 Mars 2016

We arrived pretty late (almost midnight) and were prepared to use the night lobby but I was allowed to come in to the main lobby and get checked in. DeWayne was SUPER nice. The room was beautiful and very comfortable. Plenty of room and everything was recently updated. The only negative was the breakfast wasn't quite as good as were told it would be. The gravy was almost like water and the biscuits were under cooked. Will definitely stay here again! BEWARE - Expedia says "All 54 rooms boast fireplaces" but they do not. You have to request a room with a fireplace.

"Very Happy!"
Q6693SMdaniele, 27 Mars 2016

We had a suite, hot top & fire place. Very clean both inside rooms and the grounds. Lots of sites to see and very close at this Hotel. Thank You for making our stay a restful one and looking forward to a different season to enjoy the area.

"Vacation Stay in Townsend Tennessee"
georgepW9057LQ, 26 Mars 2016

For a Best Western, the quality and service of this hotel is outstanding including both the facility and the staff. I plan to look at other hotels in the area that can provide rates ahead of time based on the month, season, or time of year. The rates at this hotel vary from day to day and one has to know the specific date one is staying to get a quote. One may be paying less than a hundred dollars a night on one stay and over two-hundred dollars another time. I prefer hotels that seek to provide high quality service at a fair market price that are adjusted based on tourist season, etc., rather than appearing to base their rates on what the market will accept on any given day based on demand for rooms in the area.

"Can We Have Better Towels?"
Janice S, 23 Mars 2016

This was our second time staying on this property since it has become a Best Western property. We stayed once several years ago when it was a Comfort Inn, I believe. This may be our last. The towels were small and hard. The toilet paper and tissue were not good quality. The tv in our room became very dark. We mentioned it to the young man working the desk the first morning. A ps far as we know nothing was done, even though he said he would look into it. I thought they might offer to let us switch rooms or move in another tv. Of course, we spent two trips into Cades Cove, but we would have liked to have some "luxuries" when we returned.

"Best6 Western Cades Cove"
Timothy H, 23 Mars 2016

Maid service was terrible...... dirty towels in room on check-in and no clean towels. Maid did not leave clean towels any day.... we always had to go get them. Water pressure in the shower was terrible. Desk staff was great and the hot free breakfast was great. The beds were not very comfortable.

"Pet owners beware!"
DIANE K, 20 Mars 2016

The hotel was nice but if you have pets beware of their pet fee. I made my reservation through the BW site using reward points. At the time of booking I asked for a pet friendly room. At checkin I was asked about pets and I said yes I do have pets. It was not until about 30 minutes later when I went back to the office that I was informed I owed $86.30 pet fee. Needless to say, I was not happy since there was no mention of any fee at booking or checkin.

"Great Location"
rumrunr, 20 Mars 2016

We have stayed all over TN. This was our first stay at this hotel. It is very clean, with large rooms. Loved the small refrigerator and microwave. Great location in terms of traveling to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and the national park. The breakfast was pretty decent too. My only complaint is that the walls are pretty thin. We heard everything our neighbors said. I would stay here again. Great value for the money.

"Once Ok, Now Not So Much"
24parks, 19 Mars 2016

This is a hotel in decline both in physical structure and more importantly, services. First of all, we discovered both Wi-Fi access points down. When we called the front desk, their solution was to transfer the call to their service provider. Huh? Next, we noticed one of the coffee packages was ripped open. And worse, next day when we returned from hiking, there were no replacements and the old bag was still in the coffeemaker. Obviously, the cleaner did not clean. Lastly, the Kleenex box had barely 4 or 5 tissues left and of course, no replacement was available. When the manager was told about these issues, she was not very receptive but quite deft in deflecting the issues around to concrete walls and technicians. She was not interested in hearing about hotel problems since guests were pouring in just then and had to take care of them. Needless to say she lost one future customer.

"Great value for the ammenities"
Robyn G, 18 Mars 2016

When we arrived in our room I was very suprised at how well decorated and peacful the color scheme was. I am a day hiker so I loved being able to come to my room and truly relax. The staff was frendly and helpful....overall a great experience!!!

"Best Western Cade's cove Inn, best place to stay in Townsend TN."
Robbie R, 14 Mars 2016

Could not have ask for a better place to stay. The staff, Nita, Anna and Dwayne went out of their way to make me feel welcome and comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful and the room was very comfortable. This place was the only place I found in Townsend that was open all night.

"Hotel Survey"
Timmy H, 14 Mars 2016

This hotel was very clean, excellent service and breakfast. The bed was not comfortable. If the hotel replaced the beds with new ones, it would be an excellent hotel across the board. The area of the hotel was quiet. No outside noises. Loved that. We will be staying there again!

"Terrible customer service."
JOSH E, 09 Mars 2016

When we first got there we asked to see the room before we checked in to see if it was nice and clean to stay in before paying for it. We were given a key and were told that the room may be dirty! This was at 3:00 in the afternoon. We checked the room and it was clean, so we decided to stay. After about thirty minutes we realized that the carpet cleaner was too strong ( so strong that it burned our eyes),so we opened the door and let it air out. We told the desk guy about it and he said he would check on it. Well he never came. We called a second time and didn't get an answer from the front desk. We were only staying for one night so we didn't bother telling him again, didn't figure it would do any good. Bottom line the room was average, we had terrible customer service, and the room was $130 a night in the off-season for just two people. We won't be staying there again. For the price the customer service should have been better.

"Great Rates and Great Service"
Madison B, 15 Février 2016

We reserved our rooms online, and even though there was a bit of a mix-up regarding our room type, the staff resolved the issue quickly and professionally. It's a great location, right in the Great Smoky Mountains, and the rooms are very modern in design-- as a 19 year-old college student, I loved my first real taste of freedom as an adult. Be sure to explore the Great Smoky Mountain National Park while you're here-- Cades Cove Loop Road is absolutely beautiful! My only complaint: our neighbors were excessively loud, but I can't fault the hotel for that!

"best motel in Townsend, TN, by far"
Alex S, 02 Février 2016

My family & I have vacationed in Townsend, TN, probably over 30 times in the past decade. This is the closest destination for us to have a mountain / hiking break from work & school, from Cincinnati. After years of staying at various local motels, we finally stayed at this Best Western. I don't know why we didn't pick it sooner. 4 things: 1--prices very reasonable vs. local competition, 2--beds comfortable with fresh, clean sheets (and bedspreads & towels), 3--good, hot breakfast every morning, included with room fee, and 4--these guys mop the lobby floor EVERY morning right after breakfast (I have been so impressed--they've done this every time I've stayed here!) Staff is always very friendly, to top it off. If these standards are maintained, my family & I will be repeat customers for many years!

"Quiet , safe and great value"
sabrinacX4901AX, 02 Février 2016

If you are looking for a good value in a quiet and safe location this is the one for you . The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about attractions and dining in the area . the hotel was very quiet and clean . The rooms were surprising updated with quality linens and finishes . there are rocking chairs outside each room for relaxing . This is a great value, close to attractions but quiet at the same time .

"Nice getaway."
Debbie H, 16 Janvier 2016

We stayed in one of the King Suites for a much needed getaway. Room was nice and clean with a fire place and a jacuzzi. Breakfast was not the best I've had but wasn't the worse either. Very quite area and a restaurant was located just across the highway.

"Clean, quiet location"
TJ J, 13 Janvier 2016

This hotel has been updated from what I remember it a few years ago. Room was clean, nicely updated. One major complaint we had 4 in our room (2 queen beds) but only had 3 towels a hand towel and 3 wash cloths...not sure if this was housekeeping oversight or if this is their standard but really should have more towels in room without having to go up front. Nice breakfast in the morning. There are some really nice walking and bike paths just in front of the hotel. Pet friendly makes it a plus. Though not swimming season when we visited but pool looked nice size. Good location for antique stores in Walland and Maryville area. A few good restaurants close by. Great location if visiting Cade's Vove. Nice drive to Pigeon Forge from this location on the Peaceful side of the Smokies.

"Nice Place to stay"
Stephanie J, 05 Janvier 2016

Very Good Breakfast ran out of sausage the second day, friendly staff. Very quiet community in the winter. Will be back for Summer fun. Small town experience nice to be outside of the chaos in Gatlinburg.

"Great place"
Daniel W, 05 Janvier 2016

I am a Hampton guy. So I don't normally stay in Best Westerns but this is one I would go again. Great place, great people, great breakfast. Great stay. This is one of the Best Westerns you see in the commercials. Very nice. Quiet side of Smokeys for sure, peaceful, restful. rooms were clean and well decorated, very modern. Only down side was rooms open to the outside. But that too was ok because the views of the mountains were great.

"Very nice hotel, great free breakfast. Cons: carpet in rooms and front desk staff was not there upon arrival"
Travelsaremything, 03 Janvier 2016

Stayed here new years night. There was no front desk person for line 5 minutes at first, maybe he was in another part of the hotel, they apologized, but it was a little odd. Granted, it was new years and they were probably short staffed. Other than that and that the rooms have carpet, great stay, we would stay again if passing through in the future.

TwigCaldwell, 31 Décembre 2015

Nice Friendly Staff, Rates were good, Room was clean and enjoyed the fireplace. Breakfast was good, sausage was not as good as other things on the bar. Bed was just right, great clean sheets. The Location is great, but out of the hustle of the Pidgeon Forge area. Towels was rough, not soft as they could be. But the location makes up for the towels.

"Relaxing in Townsend"
Emery G, 29 Décembre 2015

Our room was much larger than anticipated. We had a king suite. Room was clean and bed comfortable. It would be nice to have a large ottoman to rest feet on while sitting on couch. Also, would be great to be able to rent movies on the t.v. Overall, very satisfied & will stay here again. Loved the rockers provided outside the room! Walked across street for a great dinner!

"HOTEL RESERVATIONS"
Lester D, 22 Décembre 2015

The front desk staff gave us the impression they could of cared less if you stayed with them. The manager was off unitl Tuesday so could not get anywhere. Charged our AX card twice and still have to deal with that today. Worst Bet Western ever.

"Best Western Cades Cove INN, Townsend, TN"
Douglas T, 11 Décembre 2015

I was really impressed with the staff and the facilities. Everyone was very helpful and nice. The room was large and comfortable and very clean. We did not experience any problems what so ever at this motel. We will be back to visit the area again and we will stay here again. We really enjoyed our stay and we enjoyed the Townsend area as well. I highly recommend the Best Western Cades Cove and the Townsend, TN area to anyone.

"Super Clean"
FishladyJax, 08 Décembre 2015

Super clean, and I'm picky. Staff was very friendly, room was clean and updated. The morning breakfast was a nice bonus. Eggs, sausage, biscuits, etc. Will definitely be staying here again while in town. Clerk even suggested a great new spot for dinner.

"Not again."
m2ice, 06 Décembre 2015

This should be one of the better hotels in townsend. It is very clean and well kept. However the internet is very poor, I had to go to the lobby to get any service. The bath towels are the size of a hand towel. I stayed here since I get upgraded due to my BW rewards status but doubt if I will again..

"decent"
Carol A, 01 Décembre 2015

breakfast had little variety. not a bad workout room. the bed were way too hard for me and the comforter literally was not comfortable and provided no warmth. overall presentation and cleanliness was good and nice people. also had great ares for the dogs to run around in.

"This Motel is subpar - Find somewhere else."
John K, 30 Novembre 2015

Staff at check-in was rude. Wife and I experienced allergies to something in the room the whole stay. Shower water is sparse so expect to spend at least twice as long in the shower as you would expect. Breakfast food was pretty tasteless so bring tobasco or something to add flavor. Toilet didn't flush well. Place is a motel with external room doors so be prepared. TV channel guide, the chart on the dresser, isn't accurate, not even the channel that was supposed to have channel guide, so good luck finding anything. Very disappointed with the stay. I've been traveling a lot for work over the past year plus, more than half the year on the road, and this was by far the worst I've been in. I used points for the stay, it took all the points I earned over the last year for 3 nights here and I feel cheated. Sure its a step up from a roach motel, but not by far. Find somewhere better.

"Great place to stay"
Patricia L, 30 Novembre 2015

This was a great place to stay. I loved how quiet the location was and the hotel staff was very pleasant. The breakfast every morning was very good. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to get away in the great smoky mountains.

"Handicapped, look for another hotel"
Linda R, 27 Novembre 2015

As previously posted on "Booking.com," we had requested a handicap room. What we got was a normal room with a handicap bath/shower chair (left in the room). My husband could NOT maneuver his wheelchair around the room, nor get it into the bathroom. The room was located behind the outdoor pool, and the farthest distance possible from the only handicap ramp--which was located in front of the main door to the lobby. We had to get assistance carrying our luggage, medicines and CPAP machine from our car to room and back the next morning. While there appeared to be a couple of handicap parking spaces on the opposite side of the hotel (assuming there may have been a couple of ACTUAL HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE ROOMS associated with those parking spots) they were NOT offered to us, by the inexperienced person at the front desk. Regardless however, the handicap access lanes would have been to narrow for me to drop my ramp and exit my wheelchair form my car.

"Townsend TN--best hotel on the Townsend strip"
Alex S, 27 Novembre 2015

best beds, quietest rooms, cleanest, and best free breakfast on the Townsend TN strip...we have stayed at every hotel in this vicinity, and finally this Best Western...over this Thanksgiving week, we got the best $$ rate on the strip, and discovered this is the cleanest & best run hotel in Townsend. We will not waste time or money with any other Townsend hotels or motels in the future.

"Good stay away from Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg"
HoggNation, 23 Novembre 2015

We stayed here as it is very close to Cades Cove. The rooms were very basic. The breakfast in the morning was basic hotel breakfast. The area was quiet, but not much around the hotel itself. It was nice to stay away from the cities though. Beds were hard and springy. Priced O.K.

"Is there anything you don`t do right."
Randy Y, 23 Novembre 2015

I have driven by this best western several times and finally i was able to book and stay the night. It has a wonderful location not far from the park, lots of wildlife to view, and a great restaurant close by with good food. Hotel was very clean, staff was very kind, and they served a out of this world hot breakfast.

"Nice Motel"
Jkcolumbia, 20 Novembre 2015

The motel that we booked via internet was fine. It was clean and comfortable. However, the booking process via the internet is something to be careful about. We booked for a "TOTAL BILL OF $62.10". The shocker, an unpublished "booking fee of $17.99 was added to the bill. When taxes were added to the $62.10 total charge we ended up paying $92.00 for a room advertised as a TOTAL COST OF $62.00. BEWARE as to who you book through.

"Clean"
458conniep, 18 Novembre 2015

We enjoyed our stay at the Best Western, it was a last minute change of plans to come up a day early and wait for our cabin to come open and we chose to stay here, very nice and clean. The price was very nice and cheap compared to some of the other places, we would stay here again

"A GOOD Deal made BETTER by the Staff"
TheTwig, 14 Novembre 2015

We needed a place for a 3-day stay that wouldn't break the bank. I made the reservation but a few weeks later had to make a change. Called the motel directly and spoke to Nita who was pleasant, polite and accommodating. She was as nice in person too helping us when we arrived. The room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed, the cleaning staff was efficient and pleasant. A slow moving drain in the bathroom sink was fixed while we were gone. Shower and hot water was stellar. Everyone on the staff was equally accommodating and responsive to our needs. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise and a delicious bonus. The wifi connection was a bit "flakey" bit a reboot seemed to help. Glad we stayed.

"Nice place to stay with a good location"
Outttatime, 11 Novembre 2015

I stayed here during a conference recently, and I was very impressed. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and I was happy to have an in-room fridge and microwave. I enjoyed the large LG TV, too, and I appreciated that they provided a list of all the available channels. The shower had a rainfall-type shower head; I prefer a stronger shower, but I know a lot of people like this kind. The free breakfast buffet was pretty good, with biscuits, gravy (kind of thick), pastries, waffles, yogurt, sausage, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, juices, and coffee. It really beats the continental breakfasts provided at some of the nearby motels. The location was great--very close to everything in Townsend and just a 15-minute drive to Pigeon Forge. I would absolutely stay here again.

"Great place to stay!"
Robert G, 05 Novembre 2015

Very nice price & location Close to great restaurants Large room & large TV with many channel options Hot water is fast & strong with extra sink in bathroom Comfy bed and air & heat both worked well out of unit Fridge was cold Plenty of electric outlet plugs for chargers

"Decent Motel at a Fair Price"
EffStop, 04 Novembre 2015

Stayed here during a conference at a nearby property. Room was always clean & ready when I returned mid-day. I used the in room refrigerator to store lunch & breakfast supplies, very convenient. Easy access to The Great Smoky Mountains NP.. Friendly staff. Conference started at 0700 some days, motel breakfast started at 0730, hence the breakfast in the room. this is one of the earliest breakfast options in the area.

"Nice Location"
Jeannie K, 30 Octobre 2015

This hotel is in an excellant place for the smokies and Cades Cove. Friendly staff but a so so breakfast. Gravy was terrible but the room decor was beautiful. Pet friendly room had a odor from previous users.

"Comfortable Stay"
Dennis B, 28 Octobre 2015

We were pleased with our room, the comfort of the bed, and nice breakfast. I would definitely stay here again. There are many interesting shops nearby, and good restaurants, and it's only a short drive into Pigeon Forge.

"Smoky Kings for helping staff/price/location combo"
Syed A, 26 Octobre 2015

Smoky Kings for great helping staff , great view , good price , quality is average and needs to improve but for my stay it was value for money for overall experience and help I received from staff as my car got breakdown and they helped fixing and saved me 1K+ bucks

"Leaf Lookers hostel"
Kathleen A, 22 Octobre 2015

Nice staff; clean premises; comfortable beds; close to outdoor recreational activities. Breakfast food tasty but the same every day. Coffee great! Be advised-check out weekend increase in rates. Ours increase >100%.

"Good for short trip"
pattid67, 19 Octobre 2015

My husband booked here for a last minute get away. At first I was leery after reading the online reviews, but was pleasantly surprised with our outcome. Diana was very nice checking us in early. She gave us our room key and told us she wasn't sure if our room was cleaned yet. That was okay with us, as we just wanted to get our key because we were planning on coming back late. The room was spacious with two queen beds, small table, refrigerator, and microwave. The room was updated. The set of rocking chairs outside each room was a quaint touch. The back of the property had a wonderful view of the mountains. My biggest and only complaint was the towels. They were old, worn, and small. The towel was wet after drying half the body and we only had three towels, just enough for the three of us. We only had two wash clothes and no bath mat for the floor. We ended up using a hand towel so no one slipped. Overall, it was pricey for the accommodations, but it was the middle of fall season. Every hotel in the area expensive in the fall.

"Best in the Cades Cove area"
Carol H, 17 Octobre 2015

The motel has very friendly service. Everything was in good working order. The breakfast was good. The accommodations were much less expensive than the very commercial Pigeon Forge area. I appreciated the brochure for a craft show at a nearby church. I enjoy interacting with the residents of the community. I purchased some very nice gifts at a good price. This hotel is in a nice quiet area and very convenient for The Great Smoky Mountain area. I enjoyed seeing deer, turkey and bear in the park during our afternoon visit.

"Breakfast"
Will S, 14 Octobre 2015

The lobby area being open only after 7 AM presents a problem for early risers, The breakfast was good if you are willing to wait on the opening of the Lobby. I really don't understand the problem with giving access to the coffee machine before 7. This is the only problem I personally experienced. The room was clean the staff was helpful and the grounds were very clean. We had a small dog and the area was very dog friendly for taking care of her needs.

"Very disappointing"
Alice G, 10 Octobre 2015

I would not recommend staying here. The linens were stained and torn and the overall quality of the furniture and towels was cheap. The breakfast room had a very nice view, but there weren't enough tables for guests and the staff did not monitor the breakfast items and manage trash in a timely fashion. And the coffee was terrible.

"R-I-P-O-F-F!!"
mjl1297, 07 Octobre 2015

Doesn't even deserve the one bullet. The wife and I made the mistake of stopping here on the way across Tennessee. As luck would have it we came in on Saturday which is the one night they bump the price up fifty dollars on the rooms. With our discount, I was told the total rate would be $134.99 and was shown a printout to this effect. I should have kept that printout but more on that later. The room was stuffy and dated. At least it appeared to be clean. Both beds were rock hard but one was slightly less so and that was the one we made an attempt to sleep on. There was only ONE station on the television. At first I thought it had something to do with the mismatched remote being unable to change the stations but when a second (mismatched) remote fared no better, I realised by changing stations on the TV itself that there were no other stations. At least the internet worked--that is after I called the front desk and got the additional instructions on how to connect. For some reason they don't give you these when you check in. When I checked out the next morning instead of the $134.99 I was quoted it was now $154.99. I was told the taxes and fees were not included in the previous quote. Regardless, I paid way too much for a room that was at a stretch worth only about $80.00 at the most! Don't you make the same mistake! Stay elsewhere if you are in Townsend.

"Absolutely horrible management"
Frank R, 05 Octobre 2015

When I arrived, an employee by the name of Nita just gave me the most ugly look. As I proceeded to check in, I couldn't help but notice that her eyes had bags under them & she smelled of marijuana. My credit card was charged way too much. I asked when the manager would be in & she said she wasn't sure & it really wasn't any of my business. She has a terrible attitude & shouldn't be working there. As I was attempting to enjoy my night, some bugs crawled across the floor of the room. Not only that but the sheets were clearly worn out and I even found a spot of blood. The room smelled of dog pee.The soap they provide is awful. The breakfast area was so dirty that I found what looked & felt like week old crumbs in the crevices of the tabletops. The chairs were dusty & had dried gravy on them. The lobby restroom was nasty. I will never go there again.

"Okay place for a night!"
wishicudtravelmore, 03 Octobre 2015

We spent a night at this hotel while visiting Cades Cove and the Great Smokies. The hotel is located quite close to the Cades Cove area of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The rooms are quite spacious, but are definitely dated. They have free breakfast like most other Best Western hotels. If you are staying in Townsend, remember that most of the places (including restaurants) around here close pretty early in the evening; so you need to hit them early.

"Nice Stay"
634richardo, 02 Octobre 2015

The Property for the money was great...the staff was awesome. We had an exceptional value for the money...breakfast, although we did not partake looked great...I would recommend this motel for anyone wanting to stay near the smokies and especially Cades Cove.

"Spacious Rooms"
phillygirl54, 30 Septembre 2015

The room we had was indeed spacious and modern with a comfortable king sized bed. It was, also, very clean and quiet. However, the air conditioning did a mediocre job in cooling the room even after having it on the lowest temperature setting for many hours. The breakfast offerings were varied with hot and cold items. It was close to the activities and sites the area had to offer.
