Best Western Plus Avita Suites

The breakfast was delicious! We cooked our own waffles and enjoyed scrambled eggs with crispy bacon and sausage on the side. They also have yogurt with lots of toppings like fresh fruit, granola, etc. Starbucks coffee makes the menu complete!

Breakfast was great, there were many options! Having Starbucks was a plus. Lulu was great. She kept the area fully stocked and clean the entire time while having a positive attitude! She even recommended a beach to visit while on our vacation.

Very nice hotel! Clean, roomy and comfortable. Great breakfast. They have different batters for waffles, cold cereal and muffins too. Close to Del Amo mall. Plenty of good restaurants around. My family and I will definitely stay here again.

I have no complaints. The rooms were clean and comfy. The breakfast was very nice, lots of options to choose from and very delicious. They have great customer service. Everyone was pleasant and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay here.

Nice place to stay if Torrance needs to be your hub. Close to Redondo Beach and Del Amo Mall. The entire staff were friendly and helpful during our nine-nightstay. Front desk personnel, housekeepers and breakfast attendant. Nice choices for breakfast.

The rooms are clean. The a.c works perfectly, sometimes it would keep turning on some time after I turned it off though. The beds are really comfortable almost made me not wanna leave. The staff are really nice. I recommend it 100% and plan on coming again.

Full breakfast with bacon and scrambled eggs. Pancakes, yogurt, bread, bagels, fruits. Near the supermarkets and shopping area. Located in a safe place. Only those with key card can enter during off hours. Free parking in structure and open area is available. Starbucks drink 24/7. clean corridors, wide, clean lighted stairs. Fast elevator. Quiet rooms except for some loud talkers passing by.

This is not a fancy hotel. The building is fairly modern: good air conditioning and heating system; modern sink and bathroom facilities, nice flooring and good quality beds, and sheets. Decent-sized rooms and clean. Lots of parking available and a good location (good proximity to the freeway and major streets, etc ). Friendly staff.

A very professional and clean hotel with a full breakfast selection. Would stay again in this location or another offering the same amenities. 24 hour Starbucks coffee was a very nice treat! In my vast experience of hotels, this one gets an A+

Traved with my wife. and stayed at hotel for 5 days. Hotel is located in very nice area of Torrance. We felt safe. and parking is easy. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms and premises are very clean. Great breakfast buffet. Starbucks coffee! Also, there's Starbucks coffee and a variety of teas at lobby entrance available 24 hrs. If we come back to Torrance area we would stay here again. My only recommendation is to add 1 more hr. of breakfast time during the week. instead of 6 - 9, make it 6 - 10AM

My fiance and I loves staying at AVITA Best Western Plus in Torrance. It's my favorite hotel because it's always clean, smells good, has friendly staff and breakfast is the BEST! The always make immediate repairs.

Dirty room and low pressure shower is basically the review. There was trash behind the couch and the tv. The floor was stained like crazy. The biggest problem though was the water pressure. There was non so I basiclly had to hug the wall to take a shower.

Interesting experience will recommend any day, it was a worthwhile experience and made my stay very enjoying. We enjoyed the meals and gym was fantastic too, the environment too was good. The ambience of the place and location is fit for purpose

The website looks great, but the room was poorly ventilated, smelled stale and was very damp. The bed was the only good part of the stay. It was comfortable. Understanding that we should conserve towels for the environment, we were all in to reuse the two bath and two hand towels provided for a three night stay. The problem was they never dried even though they were used once in the morning, and not used again until the next morning. The room smelled like an old gym locker and it was cold. Upon check-out, we were informed that our "security deposit" (which I do not recall being mentioned when I booked) would be refunded eventually. What????? I will say that the staff was courteous, but it was not worth the money.

This is a great hotel in a great part of town. It is within walking distance to stores and restaurants. The design of the hotel is appealing with comfy beds and it is also quiet. I had a great night's sleep there. Front desk staff was kind and friendly as well. Great Job Best Western. You nailed this one!

Convenient location, clean and pleasant. Breakfast has a good variety, especially self-make style waffles. I loved their coffee machines in the lobby, which gave me an option to get a quick cup of hot coffee any time of the day. Will definitely consider staying again.break

Fantastic hotel in a quiet and safe area. Free Starbucks coffee machine in the foyer and free parking. Only 10 mins walk to Del Amo mall. Great breakfast as usual with BW, huge choice and great waffles in different flavours with the hard working Sara keeping the supplies stocked, all staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful.

I really enjoy it nice clean and quiet, my kids and I will definitely stay again this hotel it's in our let's return again list. The breakfast so good and the personal super nice there is no reason for us not to come again.

Facility desperately needs a refresh. AC only in one room of a two room suite so the one room was like a freezer and the other was literally 82' when we checked in. The AC ran so hard trying to catch up but it was never able to by the time we checked out the following morning. Shower drain slow and the low stall lip allowed water to run on the bathroom floor which made it slippery.

As soon as I check in I know the weekend will be great thanks to staff whose mission it is to ensure that your stay is maximally great! Waking up after the best rest of my life in their soft puffy beds to have a great complimentary breakfast cannot be rivalled! Thank you BW.

The rooms were clean and well decorated. There was a sitting area and desk in addition to the bed area. Everything was in good condition. There was one of the largest selections of cold and hot breakfast items I have encountered in any hotel, and staff to keep clean and make a waffle if you want

Stayed in May of 2022 for 4 days 3 nights. Rooms have everything you need. A little on the small side. Example is that the door to the bedroom doesn't open all the way because it hits the dresser on the other side. My room had a fridge, microwave and a small kitchen counter with sink. What really made this place is its location to dining options and activities. The breakfast is one of the best hotel breakfasts I have ever had. Yogurt bar, coffee bar, waffle bar and the usual hot eggs, sausage and potatoes. They also have nice sized pastries which I would grab for later as a snack. Rooms are modern and the front desk was helpful with my questions about the area. If you need anything there are two gas stations within walking distance as well.

Best guest service the staff is so welcoming kind and genuinely happy to assist. Nice to be greeted by staff who are happy to see you! The hotel is extra clean, lovely decor, attention to detail. I love how the front guest acts happy to see you and offers you cold water bottles and a cookie bag. The breakfast room is a lot of healthy and delicious variety of options and a amazing coffee bar, the lady who works there makes y feel like family.

Impressively modern property, very competitive rate-wise for the area. The room was a bit on the small size but was comfortable, tasteful and had every amenity. Staff was professional and friendly and internet speeds were good.

A newer place, which the Redondo Beach/Torrance area has needed for some time. Rates are reasonable, parking is free, nice free breakfast and the rooms are suites. But some of the details are frustrating! Just a couple of quick examples: There are NO bedside table lamps. So you can't read or check your phone while in bed. Just a harsh, glaring, light over the bed. Speaking of checking your phone -- there are NO outlets, or UBS connections on the sides of the bed! This is astonishingly poor design for a newer hotel. I could go on with several other things, but just one more here -- the bath and shower gel come in tiny containers no bigger than your thumb! And they are impossible to open, especially when they are wet, as in the shower. Completely worthless! Overall, a good value, but with some minor frustrations.

The Best Western Avita will provide you with a very comfortable lodging experience. Having a Mini Fridge and Microwave is very convenient and the complimentary Breakfast is a great way to start your day whether it be business or pleasure!

I have been staying at Best Western Avita Suites in Torrance for the last years during Christmas and New Year. Always enjoy my stay. Feels very secure. Love the area for walking and exploring. Del Amo Mall is a 10 minute walk away. Breakfast is good and all staff makes you feel welcomed. Definitely will continue staying here as long as the service and installations continue being as homey as now. Thank you! Highly recommend staying at the Best Western Avita Suites in Torrance. You will feel like at home. Guaranteed.

Rooms are mini-suites, very comfortable and well appointed. Housekeeping was excellent. Location is very good, close to the office and great restaurants. The lady that works in the breakfast was top notch, very nice and attentive. Overall a great place to stay on a business trip

The location is very near the shopping district. The staff there were very courteous and polite. The facilities were clean and organized. The room we stayed in was very clean also. Should we visit Torrance again, we will most likely book here.

Manager Nemo was very polite and courteous. Also Grace in the morning breakfast was outstanding with handling all the customers all by her self. Nemo and Grace are the main reasons why I return to book a room at the Best Western Avits Suites ! Excellent customer service !!!

This hotel sits on a major boulevard in Torrance along with a few others. It is very close to both Downtown Torrance, Del Amo Fashion Center, many restaurants, retail shops, markets, and other businesses within a few minutes. The hotel ittself is a vertical, high rise rather than sprawled out. You check in the lobby and take an elevator right away to your floor. The lobby is small and pleasant. There is a continental breakfast option. The room we had was indeed a suite. It had a queen bed with its own door and a nice big stand-in shower with a small seat built in. Shower was perfect. Very nice. A big screen TV is in the bedroom with plantation shutters. Comfortable bed too. The living room had its own big screen TV and a long kitchen counter with a microwave and refrigerator. Coffee maker in the room with Wolfgang Puck coffee and a sink. No utensils or paper towel though. The leather couch was actually a pull-out sofa bed. My boyfriend and I were pleasantly surprised and enjoyed the room. We were celebrating his birthday and had LA Kings tickets that night. Overlall, I highly recommend. I am a local and would stay here again.

after considering other hotels in the area, we always return here. We have stayed at this hotel five times in the past three months. We have been comfortable staying here through Covid but would wish that there would be better signage telling people of the need to wear masks indoors. We have found the rooms to be very comfortable (except for the unfortunate design that places the sink area in the room close to the bed without a door separating them), clean and quiet. The rooms are spacious and well lit with good bedding and towels. We find the breakfast room a very pleasant place and the breakfast choices to be generous and especially varied. Good coffee and espresso choices! Grace, who manages the breakfast room is exceptional. She works very hard to keep everything immaculate and well stocked. She is cheerful, attentive and helpful. The cleaning staff is also very friendly and we appreciate how hard they work to keep things clean. The hotel is close to a variety of eating options and parking is easy.

I was happy with this place, small though the rooms and bed were. Bad/sad though the boxed (covid) breakfast was, until we left all day, & returned to an unserviced room. I called the front desk and spoke to some kid who did not know anything, but after he asked, was told there was a small sign at check in that states a guest MUST verbally request their room be cleaned by 11am!!! Is this place a joke? BW hotels once took customer service seriously. Sadly those days in the US are over. Today corporate amerika has taught people to offer A and deliver z. It is one thing to offer less for a lower rate. It is another to swindle your guests out of anything you can to save a penny. Like only one phone that works, like overheard lights w/o working bulbs. Like only exactly two towels and two hand cloths in the bathroom. Like not cleaning rooms because a guest failed to notice a small sign. What happened to honesty?

my room was huge n spacious. shower was beautiful. had my own microwave mini fridge living room area. the room had direct tv so you know all the channels was available. couch turned into a pull out bed .

It is my second time staying at BW plus Avita Suites, definitaly not the last! This hotel is sooo clean and soo convenient! And the staff are so friendly. I wish i could have an early checkin though. But overall it is 10/10!

I've stayed 2 previous occassions with excellent service, this recent stay I left at 4am do to my girlfriend being woken up from bites, after looking, we found 1 bed bug crawling on the pillow so we decided to search the sheets, we ended up finding 1 more in between 2 unused sheets and also seen droppings on the feet end of the mattress, called the front desk and the guy who answered did not seem suprised and when I told him to come inspect the room so he can see for himself he said its fine to just get pictures, I ended having no choice than to cancel my trip and leave back home at 4am and run all my luggage through the washer and dryer to prevent any coming into my home. This was my go to hotel but unfortunately do to this incident I won't be staying another night here.

This is the best hotel in the South Bay area. Staff is always helpful & friendly, Atmosphere is nice. Rooms always clean & fresh. Free parking. Location is perfect to shopping, restaurants, & not far from the beach. I feel safe & comfortable at this hotel.

We spent a long weekend at this place based on: - good ratings - free breakfast - free parking The good: The hotel is new and therefore the rooms are well-organized. There's a refrigerator and a microwave and lots of outlets. WiFi speed is 19 Mbps up and down. The parking is free. That's about all of the good news The bad: The room is comfortable, but it lacks some basic amenities. There are no night lamps or table lamps, no glasses in the bathroom, no safe in the closet, and the window shutters do not make the room dark enough. The windows do not do a good job in keeping the traffic noise out from the busy street in the front. The shower has very small water flow, on the verge of unusable, and water leaks out of the shower pan because it is too shallow and the curtain not long enough. The ugly: This place advertises free breakfast. It should be corrected with "free breakfast, EXCEPT ON WEEKENDS". On weekends we were given a "grab and go" breakfast whose the miserable, frozen contents you can see in the picture (that would be for 4 people). On Monday, the breakfast was above average for a hotel of this class. The breakfast room is clean and the lady who oversees it, Grace, was amazing. The room rate should be reduced on weekends when there is no decent breakfast. The first day we placed the "make our room" sign on the door and left. When we came back, the room wasn't done. When I asked for an explanation, I was told that because of Covid, you have to tell the reception to make your room every morning. This is the most pathetic excuse I have ever heard. They said that there is a sign about it hanging at the reception (there is, but who reads all those signs?). This was NOT explained to me at check-in, neither was it explained in the room, where I would have likely seen it. Furthermore, when asked if we could have new towels brought to the room, they refused and we had to go get the towels ourselves.

Close to beach and mall. Plenty of good options within 5min drive! Clean property and excellent staff. Offered breakfast with many options( cereal, waffles, oatmeal, eggs, sausage) with grab and go on the weekend.

When I arrived after midnight, I was advised that the room I had reserved and paid for was not available and we were put into a very cramped and unacceptable room. After serious complaining, a room like I had originally reserved was miraculously canceled at 2:30 am and we were allowed to move into it. I don't believe that and even if it was, MY room was given away and another one held for someone else until 2:30 am. I can't say that I trust the management at this property after that and would never feel comfortable with them going forward.

Like almost all hotels in Southern California, this Best Western tolerates marijuana use on the property. Oh sure, they post “no smoking” signs everywhere and warn you about the consequences of creating odors in your room, but the pot smokers outside in the garage, who bring their stench into the lobby, the elevator, the hallways and the rooms, are left to get baked in peace. Party on, dudes!

The room had a nice layout and the have a pretty good grab and go breakfast. My bathroom light went out and it took 6 hours for someone to change it. When they did finally change it they left the trash on the sink. The staff was so rude so or that alone I would not return.

My first time staying here. Clean property, great room, reasonably priced & a fantastic staff! The customer service is AMAZING! I will be returning with no doubt. I gave this hotel a 5 star rating! Well-deserved

This was a nice place to stay. The lobby is small but the check-in process was fast and we loved that they gave us warm cookies and cold bottled water to take to our room. We stayed in room 420. It was a larger room with two queen beds, a sofa with lounger, desk, and small kitchenette with a microwave, sink, and mini fridge(I was hoping they had a few dishes in the cabinets but they were empty). The room has a nice closet with full length mirrors. The bathroom has the toilet and shower in one room but the sink is outside of it. I liked that they had a black towel to use when removing makeup. The beds were comfortable. We had the complimentary breakfast. They had a nice selection with eggs, bacon, french toast, bagels, waffles, etc). We didn't see much of the neighborhood but it did have a gas station a block away and a Subway right next door. My only complaint was that it didn't feel like it was new and the walls are really thin so we could easily hear the people in the room next to us (the website says it's a brand new all suites hotel). We enjoyed our stay and we'd stay here again.

Nothing fancy BUT, always nice and very clean. Employees go out of their way ( if need be ) to make sure things are right and you are happy. Breakfast serves its need ..... basic but good. Will stay again if in the area.

We stayed in this hotel while are daughter was in the hospital and it was a great choice! We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel! The staff was extremely friendly and very accommodating! The hotel was clean and updated! The breakfast was a great bonus!

I never stay anywhere other than at Best Western; it will forever be my home away from home. Love it!! Its always good to see wonderful staff that go out of their way to make sure the experience is the best. Its great seeing the same wonderful courteous employees when I return.

Have stayed her a number of times, and they do not disappoint. The front staff is courteous and helpful, clean rooms, awesome breakfast! Rooms are a great place to relax and re-energize after a long day traveling or on the road.

My family, husband and two teenagers (16 & 17) stayed here for 5 days during Christmas. I can not rave enough about this place. The rooms were bigger than average, comfy and sparking clean! The breakfast was fantastic with plenty of options for everyone! Every member of the staff we encountered was polite, professional and just plain nice! I loved coming back to a clean room-really clean, even the hallways smelled fantastic after the hard working cleaning ladies left the floor. The beds were comfortable, our 17 year old son opted for the couch, versus sharing a bed, which was not a pull out but he slept like a baby on it. The shower was hot and had great pressure. Fresh fruit and coffee/tea available in the lobby was a great grab n go on the way out. Parking was ample and majority of it was covered for free. The location is walking distance to a plethora of dining and shops as the Del Amo Fashion Mall is maybe a 10 min walk. Our family we were visiting lives in La Mirada and it took us no longer than 20-25 mins to get to and fro. We will definitely stay here again. Thanks for excelling in the hospitality industry!

I was very pleased with the Best Western Plus when I was visiting my family for the Christmas holiday. The hotel was easy to access in the South Bay Los Angeles area, and close to family. Staff was helpful and courteous!

I loved everything about this hotel and was surprised at the variety of food provided at the continental breakfast. They could benefit from investing in better pillows for the rooms. Otherwise, the staff was pleasant, the room was clean, and the breakfast was great!

The hotel has plenty of parking,when I arrived to the front desk the gentlemen that was there was nice and polite.the front lobby smelled good and had very good decor.the room was roomy and cleaned,the breakfast was hot and fresh.the only problem is that they don't offer king sized beds

I have stayed at another Best Western Plus in the past. Very nice then, as now. Don't let the BW title fool you... for the price I got an excellent suite. Super clean room. Quite spacious. Very close to downtown Torrance. The M-F Front Desk Manager is fantastic. All of the desk personal greeted you on entry and exit. I did not have any issues with my 8-day stay. I changed my other reservation next month so I can stay in this particular BWP.

This Best Western property has it all. Newly remodeled. It's all new. Rooms (we had 3) had attended to every detail. Beds were great. Kitchenette was nice touch. Bathroom updates with accoutrements made my day. The included breakfast was better than any I've had in years. Quality and choices were superb. I would stay here again and again.

we stayed here last year and had to go to LA for a family emergency, from our last stay we knew this is where we would stay. Were not disappointed and will return again don't know why they need 200 characters this says it all

Lovely modern hotel, 5 minutes walk from the Del Amo Shopping Mall. There is a 7-11 nearby that is a 2-3 minute walk. I arrived early and was allowed to check in early which I was not expecting. The male receptionist was very friendly and accommodating. I was given 2 cold bottles of still water and 2 baked cookies on arrival which were appreciated. I was on the 4th floor which was easily accessible by elevator. The room was excellent, it had 2 double beds and a L shaped sofa, as well as a very small kitchen area with a fridge. The sink area was separate to the shower and toilet which was good as allowed plenty of room. The beds were comfortable and the hotel was fairly quiet. The breakfast buffet was good with lots of variety. Check out was easy and the hotel wasn't far from LAX - think it was around $22 in an Uber. Would happily stay here again.

Staying at the Best Western Plus Avita Suites for an extended stay of more than six weeks, we were absolutely pleased with every aspect of our experience!! Starting with the exceptional staff at the front desk, we received so much kindness, care, and support in so many ways! We loved the wide range of healthy options for breakfast as well as the very helpful and cheerful staff! We also enjoyed the room which provided us with more than enough space. Because of the diligence and effort of the housekeeping staff, our room was always clean and fresh! We have strongly recommended this Best Western Plus to our friends and look forward to returning very soon!!

Clean room, outdated furniture, no pool or hot tub. Expected more for the high price we paid. Breakfast was good, staff at breakfast was friendly and helpful. Young Lady behind deskh had to help getting luggage from car as there was no other staff there to help.I am handicapped. Stayed 3 days but will not stay again.

You can't go wrong with this property. All personnel from front desk to breakfast room are friendly and efficient. Free breakfast is the best we've ever had at a hotel offering this: extensive options! Convenient location: walk to major Del Amo shopping mall and numerous restaurants, movies.

I travel quite a bit, and stay in a lot of different hotels. This hotel was very clean, staff was professional, room was comfortable and breakfast was great. Really enjoyed my stay here and definitely recommend.

Rooms have an odd distribution due building architecture. For some reason I got a disabled room which I'm not fan due functionality but didn't complained either. Very good breakfast. Easy and free parking available.

This hotel is set in an ideal location, out of the way of busy traffic it is perfect to navigate to the local attractions of L.A and Long beach, but also a nice stones throw from the beautiful Hermosa and Redondo beaches. The hotel itself is feels safe, in a quiet area across from the fashion mall. Free parking onsite which was ideal. The staff are very welcoming and friendly also super helpful! The place is very clean as well as the rooms which are a perfect size and have some home comforts. The most important thing to me was the fresh Starbucks coffee on hand 24/7. Morning breakfast was a very good part of our stay which was superb. I would definitely stay again. One recommendation i would offer to the hotel, have a little crockery, cutlery on hand for the rooms if needed, I would have loved a wine glass for a nice red i purchased.

Desk staff greeted me with spirit and a sense of fun. Room was generous, well furnished, and in fine condition. Breakfast had a few more options than usual for this sort of feature. Torrance Mall is nearby with plenty of options for dinner, though the mall is so large finding things can be a challenge.

This isn't about the hotel room. Though, the manager was so rude to my mom when all she wanted was a job and acted as if she was stupid. Please be considerate. And maybe dress properly at your work place.

Great place to stay quite only problem with the bed is the small pillows. other then that we always return very central located to everything. Good variety of breakfast items to choose from. Friendly staff.

Hotel is very nice for it's category. Fast Internet, microwave, small ref and sofa. The only thing not impressive is the size of the TV; Too small for the size of the room. BTW breakfast is good here.

Our stay at Best Western Plus Torrance was very enjoyable was very enjoyable & completely satisfying. Place was very clean and accessible to all of places.Food was varied & very delicious, the staff were all attentive. Well, in fact the housekeeper and the front desk receptionist that day named Rigo when we checked out went above and beyond and called us on our phone that we left an expensive equipment in the room. It was just timely otherwise we would have been on the plane already. We're grateful to them.

Its a great place to stay when traveling for business. It's near the office were I go and you have a lot of options for food and shopping near the hotel, and 20 minutes away you have the beach and the pier.

We stayed for four nights to visit LA, Catalina and San Diego. It was central to of that and close to LAX. It is also close to Redondo Beach. The room was comfortable and pretty quiet, and they have a comprehensive breakfast with lots of fresh bacon. They also have a cool Starbucks coffee machine that makes just about anything. Definitely this is a very nice hotel and has a good price. The staff was great too.

I went to Los Angeles to spend time with my sister, going through radiation and chemo. the hotel was quiet, clean, safe, wonderful breakfast, and just what we needed to re-charge and re-fresh! This location is close to where she receives her treatments.

Clean and large room close to the large shopping mall. Most of the stuffs were also nice. Also close to the beaches and Rancho Palos Verdes where you can see whales if you are lucky. Very confortable bed,only if there were various types of pillows.

Stayed in 2011 and again in 2016. Stay this time in April, however, somewhat disappointed. Room on 4th floor - Pros: bedding and bathrooms cleanly; A/C noise and street noise not bothersome. Based on room rates, room overall as expected. Cons: kitchenette area no lighting and only relied on general room lighting; beds lumpy, uncomfortable; hit and miss Wi-fi; though functional as expected bathroom decor dated, walls needed remodel, vanity cabinets dated; sink is bowl not traditional sink. 2nd floor dining area: Pros - generic variety of breakfast items, tables kept clean. Cons - needs ventilation, greasy smell lingered on clothing; somewhat unsightly piling of dirty dishes in small bin on cart by guests near kitchen area door as well as trash bags in plain view near same area; Starbuck's coffee machine was out of order on that Saturday morning at 8:30 and other pot of coffee was out of water. No "out of order" signage on the machine so incoming guests unknowingly kept pressing the buttons to no avail. No coffee was available for our breakfast and the other four families. All in all, for what is expected in terms of price and accommodations, this property meets bare minimum satisfaction. Compared with previous stays, our overall experience this time will not warrant future stays.

Just traveled here for work and spent a week in the Avita Suites. Warm cookies and bottled water on check in. Let me say that again, WARM cookies. Every front desk person I interacted with was awesome. The room was a small suite with a refrigerator and microwave. Clean room. Comfy bed. Guest tablets (who came up with that one?) Nice room layout for work/business. The complimentary breakfast was impressive...something for everyone...waffle irons and waffles even. They always had coffee, tea, and fruit in the lobby. Del Amo mall, civic center, and various restaurants all within walking distance; but they had me at warm cookies.

I stayed in this hotel April 2018 for two nights, whilst waiting for friends to join me in Santa Monica. As I had travelled alone, I wanted a hotel near shops to keep me occupied. The Del Amo mall did that although it didn't live up to my expectations. The hotel is clean, bright and airy. I felt safe and the breakfast supplies was plenty enough to keep you sated and offered something for everyone. If in Torrance again, I would certainly stay here again.

Very nice and clean hotel. The Breakfast was delicious and the weekend breakfast lady is the best. She thought me how to make waffles. The front desk clerks were also nice and help me navigate my way to the town

Perfect stay. Quite, near the Airport and in the near of our client. Breakfast had a good range, quality and long service times. Coffee all the time free. Loundry available, washpowder available. Staff absolutly friendly and heartly.

Best overall experience. Staff is amazing. Very friendly and professional. Our room was clean, we had no issuess or concerns. Breakfast is always served hot and ready (variety to choose from). Everyone was very helpful and welcoming. Definitely recommending to all family and friends.

I had the pleasure of staying here for one night during a business trip. I was impressed with the hotel. From the outside the hotel looks nice. The lobby interior is well kept. Upon check in, I was greeted by friendly staff and even provided with some cookies and two bottles of water. There was some minor visible construction on the second floor, but it was minimal. The room itself was very nice. It truly was a mini suite, complete with sitting area, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. Everything in the room was nice and clean. The bed was comfortable and provided a good night of sleep. The lone drawback would be some minimal street noise and I was also able to hear the people on the floor above me pretty easily. None of these had shy negative impact on my sleep and were mainly noticiable during the evening hours. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was quite good. It was the typical breakfast items along with some items you don't typically see. Some donuts, breakfast sandwiches and miso added a nice touch. I would most definitely stay here again. As someone who has stayed at quite a few Best Western hotels, this is one of the nicest I have been to.

Found this place I Torrance after staying at a less-than-mediocre establishment, and it is one of the best we have stayed in in awhile. Very well-appointed and designed rooms. Fine, fun breakfast. Very helpful staff

We stayed five days at BW Plus Avita Suites and were extremely happy. We had a two queen bed suite. It is spacious, with a L-shape couch, working desk, and a kitchenette. All furnishings are of high quality material. The reception staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a quiet and safe neighborhood, and in walking distance to the De Lamo Mall. I travel fair amounts, and this is the second hotel review I have ever written. The reason being BW Plus Avita Suites deserves recognition for its excellence.

A multi-night stay left us questioning our judgment in selecting this motel. Factors leading to this conclusion were: (1) Although a member of Best Westerns loyalty program, all we gained was an acknowledgment of membership. Upon making the reservation, a request was made for a room on a higher floor. The result was a room on the lowest floor. (2) No written instructions were provided to guide patrons on how to connect to an "off brand" server. One employee, after giving verbal instructions, added I have no idea how this works. (3) The included "breakfast" had slipped in quality from what was provided on two previous visits. The juice machine malfunctioned for the duration of our stay. And like a number of other American motels, the scrambled eggs were tasteless which is likely attributable to using dried egg powder or some other "manufactured" substitute in place of cooking fresh eggs. (4) Although advertised as a suite motel, the lack of any regular glasses, plates and utensils made it difficult to image how one could eat in their rooms. (5) The building is older and was being refurbished. The hall outside the room had no wallboards between the worn rug and the walls. Painters were seen everyday around the facility. Most of one outside wall was covered with scaffolding. It was not known if the covered rooms had guests in them. The bottom line, if we should have occasion to again be in Torrance, we will look for a more comfortable place to stay.

Everyone I come encounter with is always nice,the rooms are spacious and clean. Always enjoy my stay. I would always come back here for a get -away . They also provide good cookies and bottle water free of charge. I stayed a total of three times .

My first time at this property...so glad I selected it, will be back again, this will be my home away from home. Excellent value for the cost...everything about this hotel was 5 star from the moment I checked in. Warm and friendly reception staff...made me feel like a valued guest!

I stayed here with my husband and my 18 month old daughter after Christmas to visit friends in the area. I chose this hotel based on location and reviews. Of course, I was not disappointed. The accommodation is close to dining, shopping and all that Torrance has to offer. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was standard but again staff made it better than normal. Rooms were spacious and has everything you'll need. Will definitely stay here next time I come to Torrance!

I appreciated that thus facility was very accommodating for adult travelers. The facilities in the bathroom: shower, toilet and sink were at a comfortable height for anyone over four-feet tall. The bed was comfortable and the sofa, refrigerator and kitchen amenities were well kept and easily accessible and user friendly. The buffet breakfast contained a large variety of items, well presented and was constantly replenished and was kept very tidy. The entire staff was very friendly and accommodating.

We had 6, 2-Queen suites for a Friday night stay during a high school volleyball tournament. All rooms and common areas were new, clean and well kept. We were given the Board Room for our team dinner Friday night and it was perfect. The breakfast room was by far the best I've ever encountered. The food choices, the Starbucks latte machine and condiments (i.e. Nutella-yum) put this hotel at the top of the list for a South Bay hotel! The only thing missing from the hotel was baseboards in the hallways, but I'm sure that update will be completed soon! Still 5-star, for sure!

I selected this hotel based on it's proximity to the Torrance Cultural Center. It turned out to be a relatively short walk which was perfcet. Parking at the hotel was ample. The hotel rooms were nice but a bit disjointed - room didn't flow very well. The hotel only has queen size beds, not Kings which we prefer. Also - only one elevator. Breakfast in the morning was good - a nice selection including eggs.

My husband and our son and I were visiting friends in Torrance for the weekend. They have a cat and my husband is allergic, so we had to find a hotel nearby. I will be honest, we weren't expecting much. My husband, in particular, did not appreciate that I booked us a room at a Best Western. I told him TripAdvisor reviewers have never let me down before, so let's give it a try. It was only 2 nights. This hotel is small, but it has everything you need. It's clean, quiet, the beds are comfortable. The front desk staff are super friendly. They gave us a little goodie bag with microwave popcorn and treats when we arrived. They had bowls of fresh fruit in the lobby. And, they had something I personally have never seen before: the TV remote was covered in a little sealed plastic wrap with a note indicating it had been sanitized prior to our arrival! LOVE IT. One of the first things I always do when I arrive at a hotel room is pull out my sanitizer wipes and clean the TV remote. Also, the free breakfast was surprisingly good. They had multiple meats - like bacon, regular sausage, and turkey sausage; regular eggs and omelets with cheese, granola with 4 or 5 fruit topping choices; and 8 different flavors of waffle mix! Hotels with the make-your-own waffles machines usually only have one flavor. Maybe two. You don't always get this attention to detail in a budget-priced hotel. Very impressed.

Stayed at the Best Western Avita Suites for one night. Room was very clean. . . very quiet and very comfortable. Beds were a bit soft for my liking but not a real issue. . there are tons of pillows on the bed so you can sleep propped up a bit to compensate for the soft bed that could cause backache. The breakfast is outstanding. . . .and a large variety to choose from. Staff was very friendly and personable. Easy place to get to. . . plenty of parking. . . check in and check out were super fast. . . Tons of restaurants and a mall right next door. .I will definitely stay here the next time I am in the area.

I stayed 3 tiles at the Best Western Avita Suite and my 3 stays were perfect. Great welcoming, great food at breakfast, great facilities (gym) and nice coverd parking. If you are Best Western reward you receive a fresh cookie and some water. The rooms are clean and quiet. You can easily take you car and go everywhere quickly.

Love how it's centrally located, near the beach and within a block from the Del Amo mall. Really enjoyed how quiet it was and the warm hospitality of the staff. The "breakfast" that came with the room was average at best - just the typical buffet style affair with the usual offerings; a cross between continental and low-end full breakfast. Would definitely come here again, though.

Staff members were well dressed, courteous and attentive. Rooms were extremely clean, nicely decorated and had all the convenience needed. Parking was excellent. Breakfast was very good and very clean. The staff made sure everything was well stocked. This was the second time I've stayed at this hotel and would stay again if prices were cheaper with all my memberships. There are other hotels down the street with cheaper prices after I checked online, but I don't know how the staff is nor the cleanliness of their hotels.

A great budget friendly hotel. It fit our families needs perfectly, enough room for all of us to sleep comfortably, with ample room to move around. Two adults, 15yo, 11yo, 9yo. The staff was more than accommodating us on all of our needs and requests. Some things to consider, I could hear the guest next to us snoring and since I am a light sleeper it was tough for the first few nights. The location is great, Torrance Beach, Hermosa Beach, and Redondo Beach all in a moderate driving distance. Restaurants galore and so many great restaurants right near the Hotel.

A difficult review as the areas / titles you identify were at extremes = from 2 all the way up to 5... POSITIVE = Nice laid out room... very clean... an enjoyable breakfast with a wonderful staff.. A reasonable price if you look for a bargain online..NEGATIVE = Only one entrance to hotel... a very long walk to our room - 327 - 27 ROOMS AWAY FROM THE ELEVATOR ON THE THIRD FLOOR... Going to LA but don't want to stay in the city ? Staying in Torrance is an excellent option. The Best Western on Torrance Boulevard is a perfect option. It has the Best Western solid budget price. The rooms are nice and the breakfast is solid with enough options to satisfy anyone. The plastic cutlery and plates could be improved. The most exciting about this hotel though is its staff. Very friendly and extremely helpful, the kind that makes your stay memorable. A special mention goes out to Rodrigo the English speaking Brasilian that would bend over backward to help his guests.

I was very happy with my stay for business. The bed was probably my primary concern and it was very comfortable. The breakfast is above average, having a nice assortment of waffle batter and good hot choices. The parking was free and very easy. The smaller size of the hotel makes everything more convenient. I'll be back soon.

This hotel is very clean, complimentary breakfast has a good variety of hot and cold options. The beds are good sized and very comfortable. There is always a welcoming person at the front desk to help with any questions. The only down side is there is no pool onsite.

This is an excellent hotel. The hotel is very modern and clean. The breakfasts are excellent. Many choices of foods and drinks. The staff are very pleaseant. The lady in charge of the breakfast room is superior. She keeps the food well stocked and well prepared. She is very pleaseant to talk to.

Compact suite, nicely arranged, utilizing space very well. Has L-shaped couch w coffee table and desk in sitting area, next to kitchen. Has plantation shutters which is a nice change from drapes -- someone said in a review that the sun shone thru but if you make sure the middle bar of each shutter "clicks" shut all the way it is fine, and I am picky about that too. Very clean and seems like a fairly new property. Only criticism is needs better lighting in vanity sink area, and also in kitchen. Those areas are a little dim. The breakfast variety was better than other chains, includes 4 types waffle batter and a Starbucks automatic coffee machine w choices, and young woman working there had a great attitude and was very accomodating.

Rodrigo in front desk is very professional. Rooms are clean and we enjoyed the complementary breakfast. Makes my family's stay very satisfying and comfortable. Excellent customer service. Plus BW Hotel is centrally located in a commercial area where visitors can go shopping and eat at any restaurant of their choice.

Avita Suites is a great Best Western with all the extras full breakfast even on weekends. Close to everything in Los Angeles including the airport and Marina's. We stayed for Loyola Marimont 2018 Graduation and were only 13 miles from the University. This is an exceptional property with all Suites enjoy your stay as we surely were happy with ours.

Would have been five stars but the wi-fi did not work on my iPhone. I mentioned this when checking out and was told there was a special password to use the hotel wi-fi when using an iPhone. Did not sample the breakfast because we had to leave early.

Always an excellent experience -a home, away from home experience. Staff is always reliable, friendly and extremely accommodating. Rooms are clean, hotel is clean, housekeeping staff is quick and thorough always going the extra mile. All staff are friendly and helpful; Rigo keeps things running. Esteban at the front desk is phenomenal, along with housekeeping staff Carmina. I have not encountered a staff member that did not go the extra mile [cant remember all their named!] without being asked. I appreciate their diligent service dealing with constant guests coming and going, always with a respectful attitude and smile, greeting.

The facilities and service staff here are fabulous. True! The location is ideal. Would be fabulous with the same level of service at a beach locaton! What's not so fabulous is the hotel manager, here, Rigo. Rigo is Mr. Hospitality himself until there is an issue or problem to solve. After you raise a concerning issue (in this case, a missing item on check-in while waiting for the room to be cleaned) you will get all manner of mis-communication: misleading info, innuendo, put-offs, runaround and worse! Why would that be? Rigo doesn't believe it! He's sure there is no issue. Therefore, your credibility is as good as toast. In his mind, you could be extorting the hotel or a psycho case, for example. In any case, and particularly if you complain to BW, it goes downhill from there because Rigo now has to find a way to get rid of you. So if want to extend your reservation because it's inconvenient to go elsewhere, Rigo will manipulate the situation until you wish you had with more substandard service and frustration. He'll say he has to move you to a different room or re-locate you to a "sister property". Oh, he has plausible reasons, except if you are a savvy hotel guest, you know it's a ruse! Take my word for it...it's a ruse! Reputable hotels don't bump existing paying "Rewards" guests! Bottom line...just don't raise any issues here, unless you are male, or traveling with a male partner, etc. That helps! Just make sure there are no issues here. You'll have a fine stay! Enough said!

Everything was very good except the bed sagged and certain rooms had problems with WIFI. The staff was accommodating in that they supplied a cable to help with the internet connection. All of the staff from maids to check-in persons were very kind and personable.

My husband and I previously stayed at a hotel closer to the beach and then it was renovated and the rates went sky high. For us, $150 or more is too much for our budget to stay at a hotel. The BWP Avita Suites is a very nice hotel, great breakfast, and the staff is always friendly. And it is only 5 minutes from Redondo Beach. We only pay $6 to park at Redondo.

We were in town for a funeral. This is a good overall location for traveling around the South Bay area. We were in Torrance and San Pedro Thursday and this hotel was in a good location for shopping and accessing the 110 freeway. We spent the day Friday in the Redondo Beach area. This hotel is centrally located to all of the South Bay cities. IF you stay here, I recommend eating at the Curry House on Torrance Blvd. and Hawthorne Blvd.

The hotel was immaculate and my room was lovely. Everything seemed brand new. I was very pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed the accommodations. The staff was very friendly too! I would recommend this hotel, and since it is so close to my company's HQ, I will definitely be back.

Reliable place to stay. Good sized rooms but a little odd in the way they are laid out. Good large size though. Nice breakfast. Also received a welcome gift which was nice and had a great sleep. Really helpful and friendly front desk too. Only negative is there's no undercover walkway connecting the carpark to reception, which isn't an issue unless it rains. Another big plus is you can walks to shops and restaurants which is a big plus.

We have stayed here several times and it is always nice and quiet. The breakfast is OK. They don't always have enough fresh fruit (bananas) and I feel like hard boiled eggs would be a good option versus the fake scrambled eggs that they provide.

I usually stay closer to the water but this property seemed like a newer & better option for doing some business in the South Bay area. The room was a good sized suite, spotless in all areas of the room, bathroom & even the public areas were kept very clean. Coffee maker in the room. Lots of free parking & the WiFi worked well. The breakfast was better than most Best Western breakfasts. there were several hot food items besides the trademark make your own waffle. They also had plenty of fresh fruit, whole & cut up & several kinds of granola bars to take for later. No extra daily fees like some of the competition charges.

I like the fact that is very homie feeling. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. I love to receive specials, coupons or some sort of discount besides my AAA discount. I do frequent stays and it would be nice.

The Location is Perfect! The hotel is down the street from all of the good restaurants and good shopping as well. The rooms are clean. They smelled very nice and the beds are very comfortable.. The Décor is nice also..

This is a small hotel in a good location. The room was good, but a bit small. The price was on the high side of my budget. The breakfast was the best part. Plenty to offer from fresh fruit, eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles, pastries, bagels, and more. Starbucks coffee and tea of all possible varieties. I don't know if they were as good or better, but I could have had one of three hotels very close by for $30-40 less per night. The breakfast was excellent and had something for everyone.

The minute you enter this location you are greeted with essential oils in the air and a friendly greeting with 2 bottles of water and chocolate chip cookies! The facility is spotless and efficiently set up on 4 floors with the included breakfast on the 2nd floor lounge; they have a giant Starbucks automatic espresso/coffee machine. Swimming pool vs Starbucks automatic espresso/coffee machine..I'll take the later any day! Can't beat this team of folks operating this location.

I travel often for work and tend to stay in Double Trees and Sheratons. I always thought of Best Western as more of an economy vs. luxury hotel. What a nice surprise this hotel was.. The property was very nice, the rooms and beds super comfortable, and nothing felt economy about this hotel. This hotel has the luxury feel with granite counter tops and amazing beds, without the $30 parking of most LA hotels. I will absolutely be staying here again.

Value for money choice at Torrance. Good location and pretty close to LAX. Would be better if more house keeping staff. Water pressure of shower no good and shower head not movable especially bad for Asian guests.

Nothing at all to criticise. Staff could not be more helpful and room, with sitting area, comfortable and quiet. Location is excellent for exploring/ visiting LA and access to IS 415 convenient for travelling North or South. Would definitely stay again.

Has good location close to airport. Clean Rooms and well equipped. Break fast is Ok, overall experience was good. The only issue was , I had the neighbor room a couple , talked all night long and their sound was amplifying in my room . thought the insulation of wall is not proper. ( not sure).

We absolutely enjoyed our stay! The bedroom was a bit small, but clean and very quiet. We live in a noisy neighborhood with paper thin walls so this was extremely refreshing to us. We had such a good night's sleep! The breakfast area was quite impressive, particularly the Starbucks coffee machines that offer different types of lattes and different coffee strengths. My husband and I found ourselves wishing we booked one more night. We would definitely stay again whenever we are in Torrance!

This is the second time staying here and once again it did not disappoint. Staff was very good and breakfast buffet is one of the best we have ever had included in a stay somewhere. Will definetely rebook here next time we are in this area.

I had to stay again in the Torrance area, due to a family emergency. Great service, superb breakfast and very quiet area, rooms are very clean and well organizied. This is a very secure hotel and no fear walking in the neighborhood. As always the Best Western Avita Suites has been and always will be my home away from home. Keep up the great work everyone! Check in was fine . Employees very friendly. They sent us to a room that smelled for some reason , we went right back to front desk and they gave us another room that was fine. Room was clean and bed was nice. The breakfast they serve, is " ok " fills the need for some food. Would stay again if staying in the area.

This is my favorite hotel when I need to stay in Los Angeles - only 25 minutes from LAX. The hotel is virtually new and in excellent condition. The hotel staff is among the best I have experienced at any Best Western - very professional, polite, and attentive to my needs. I have stayed here several times and will continue to do so when I travel to this area.

We stayed for six days at this hotel and the only thing it maybe lacks is a pool. The rooms are extremely comfortable and well-designed. All the staff are pleasant and efficient ( especially the lovely Mexican lady in the breakfast room). Breakfast was well.provided for, with a good variety of hot and cold dishes - pretty much everything you could need. The manager, Rodrigo, was especially helpful when we stupidly lost our safety deposit key - thank you! There is adequate parking both outside and under cover. All in all, a very pleasant stay - thank you again.

This hotel is very good close to Redondo Beach and the biggest mall in the LA area. Easy access from the 405 freeway. TThe hotel has a fitness room business center, a nice size frig and microwave. The only thing I didn't like was the shower curtain let water run onto the floor when using it and there is no tub.

Best Western has all the essentials to make a business booking very satisfying. The staff is very courteous and accommodating. Response to in-room requests was very good. The in-room Internet was excellent. We will stay at Best Western again :)

Much of the hotel could be called 4-5 stars. New, clean, good amenities, very good breakfast, free parking, nice folks. The cons for me is small size. More European. Rooms are small and without much decor. Biggest beds are necessarily queen. Couches to small to lay on. Some doors block TV when open. Those I put at a 3. I'll average this at a 4, but may pay more for the nearby Marriott next time.

Everything about my stay in this hotel was perfect. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. This includes check in, check out, the breakfast room and the folks that clean the rooms. The room was clean and welcoming. The suite arrangement was comfortable. There was a small fridge, a microwave, and a small sink in the cabinet area of the ktichen. No plates or utensils. The hotel was quiet in general. The breakfast was fantastic and well timed. My first day I had to leave at 6:20 and was able to put my fluffy scrambled eggs with bacon in a coffee cup to eat on the road. The next day I tried the waffles, mixing several of the 8 flavors offered. My family was staying at the residence inn 1 block away and I went back and forth. The staff there was not as nice, the interior somewhat shabbier, and they payed much more. Also, as a Best Western club member the check-in gift was very nice. Cold bottles of water, cookies, popcorn, peanuts, granola bar, gummy candies, and a muffin. Very generous.

Made a reservation after reading the reviews. We had originally made reservations at a new Hilton Garden Inn in Redondo Beach; but then we read they charged $12/day to park there. I called Best Western Avita and they assured me that parking in free for guests; they also had cribs available. This establishment is clean, the staff is extremely nice and accommodating. We were acknowledged each time we left and returned; that tells me they keep an eye out for their guests. The breakfast had everything you could want; they even had almond milk available! They had bread, bagels, muffins, waffle maker, hot foods like eggs, bacon, potatoes, sausage. And all kids of cereal and fruit; yogurt too. The only thing I did not care for was the shower; it's like a handicapped shower with a curtain; the bottom had a very low lip, so you had to be cautious while taking a shower because it was easy for water to stream out. That was the only thing that was annoying. Otherwise, everything was perfect! Thank you

We were in Torrance for an extended stay because of a job transfer to CA. We were able to check in early, which was nice. Our room was clean for the most part except it didn't look as if it had been vacuumed and I found hairs in the shower. We got a room that had only a shower, which was fine for us. Even though the room had a "kitchenette" with cabinets and drawers, it is not equipped with anything, not even a dish towel/cloth. There's only one washer(1.50) and one dryer ($1) in the laundry room. The breakfast room was always clean and the food kept filled. They have two waffle makers with several different kinds of waffle batter!! Plus they have toppings like strawberries, almonds and whip cream. Everyday they have scrambled eggs or a egg white omelette with vegetables mixed in, bacon and pork or turkey sausage links. They also have a great selection of breads, prepackaged pastries, yogurts, cold cereal, juice, milk (even almond), tea bags and coffee, which is Starbucks. The elevator is a bit slow but it was fine for us since we prefer to use the stairs, which were always kept clean. The room itself was nice and updated. The bed was comfortable to us. There were four different pillows on the bed to choose to your liking of firmness. I really liked that the room had plantation shutters instead of curtains, which always makes me cringe to touch. The hotel as a whole was always clean and they have some covered parking spaces and a whole handicap accessible section that is covered and close to the front entrance doors which are automatic sliding doors. I thought these accommodations for those who are disabled was super nice of the hotel to have! All of the staff for the most part were really friendly and happy to help if needed. One thing that consistently bothered us the most was slow internet. We only get 1-2 bars and cell phone reception was sketchy and we could only be in a couple of spots in the room and be able to communicate clearly. There were many outlets in the main living area and lots of overhead lights, however, it would've been nice to have a lamp by the bed instead of the bright can lights. In all we would recommend this hotel and stay at it again.

The hotel is excellently located; close to a major shopping c center, restaurants, beaches and parks. The suites are comfortable and quiet. There is lots of covered and outdoor parking. The staff is very helpful and well organized (from the front desk to the housekeepers to the breakfast room. WiFi is good. We have not used the business center or tthe work out room.Breakfast has always been excellent, and is even better now.

This place is run with obvious competence. Rooms are quite nice, breakfast good, staff very welcoming. I travel a LOT and this was my best hotel stay in a good while. Recommend dinner at Great Maple (10 minute walk) and dinner/hanging out at Hey 19 (5 min drive)

This was the best hotel in Torrance for several years but now quality has decreased significantly. 1. Room cleanliness - 2 star. There are mold in the ceiling, they also used sheets that have holes There was a white blob in the sofa ( I don't even want to know what it is). 2. Breakfast quality - 2 star. Breakfast is tasteless. I cant even taste the egg, potato was really dry, sausage was overcooked. 3. Safety. Broken elevator. My son( 6yo) can literally open the elevator door from 3rd floor, and they do not attempt to fix it. So be careful if you have kids near elevator.

If you are headed to Torrance, this is THE hotel to stay. Hotel staff was awesome, the hotel was clean and beautiful and the breakfast was incredible. Walking distance to Del Amo mall. The Avita brand of BW is incredible. I will definitely look for them in my future travels.

Rodrigo made our visit above exceptional. He is such a wonderful genuine caring person. Best Western is lucky to have someone on staff who shows his customers excellent customer service. From the start of our visit he was so pleasant and helpful. The 2nd night of our visit had some noisy neighbors and without hesitation Rigo agreed to move us to a different room not once making us feel like it was an inconvenience. Then at the beach my daughters birthday present got swept away by the ocean, in passing we mentioned this to Rigo and he was so sweet to offer a cookie & little pencil (with our permission of course) to cheer her up which he totally did! This is an excellent and very clean hotel with a great full breakfast and wonderfully friendly staff from front desk to the cleaners to breakfast staff. We had a 100% excellent enjoyable Great stay here. Thank you I hope Rigo will be acknowledged for being so great!

My brother and sister in law and I were in the area for a family wedding; there were several events in the Palos Verdes area; this hotel was convenient to those and my visit with my dear niece in Culver City.

An excellent quiet location close enough to everything. They provide one of the best breakfast buffets we have enjoyed. Bacon, sausages (2 kinds) eggs with huge variety of breads, muffins, etc. Only criticism is the lighting in the bathroom. Insufficient for getting a good shave. Otherwise a wonderful value.

I have never stayed at a Best Western Hotel. I prior opinion was of a low budget, bare bones hotel. This hotel was a roomy, comfortable suite, with modern decor. The iPads in rooms and warm cookies upon arrival were a nice touch. The staff were super-friendly. The breakfast was good and included options that aren't typically offered at other all-suite hotels. It had great amenities, and was close to a great mall and the beach. It would have been nice if there was a pool on site.

Nice rooms, nice lobby, great complimentary breakfast! Does not have a pool. This hotel was very nice and we will stay there again when we want to go to Redondo Beach. It is only about 15 minutes from the beach. Good location!

We stayed for 2 nights for a family visit. It had been many years since we stayed in a Best Western, but we were pleasantly surprised with the Avita Plus. Great location, close to the freeway, shopping and many restaurants. FYI, for you fitness buffs there was a 24 Fitness about 2-3 miles away. The room was really comfortable w/ a queen sized bed, desk, mini frig, nice bathroom and cold a/c. The frig is a larger sized mini frig which was great as we had bought a several pastries to bring home from Porto's Cuban bakery that fit easily in the frig. The hot breakfast had a nice assortment to choose from including a fresh brew coffee machine (they also had pre-brewed coffee available), waffle maker, several pastries, fresh fruit, eggs, potatoes and BACON!! We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the Best Western Avita Plus.

We were very happy with our stay here. The room was clean, the service was friendly and they offered a great breakfast. The location is perfect, with easy access to restaurants, shopping and not too far from the beaches. We have stayed here twice, and we will definitely stay here again.

Near delamo shopping mall and eateries. Appears to be safe walking to your hotel. Bottled water with cookies. Free breakfast. No charge to amenities. Price is reasonable. i stayed at a best western plus in menlo and it has a room with basic items and i didnot like so i was hesitant to book this. Then i read the reviews and they were good so i went ahead and book a 4 nights stay and i was satisfied.

Our stay at Best Western Plus Avita Suites in Torrance Ca was excellent. We usually stay at Embassy Suites near LAX but the price there has risen sooooo much that its now not worth the cost. We were looking for something similar but for less and we found this Best Western and it was as good.

What a truly pleasant experience starting with my first phone call to the Hotel. Rigo was so friendly & helpful! I had several questions about the area and he was more than happy to help. The Suite was spotlessly clean & comfortable. The breakfast was amazing! I can see why they are rated #1 on Trip Advisor for Torrance. Exceptional!! Would definitely stay here again.

We like Best Westerns and the one in Torrance is particularly good, well situated, comfortable. We have been to this one several times and keep coming back. We did not have breakfast this time, but we have in the past. It is excellent.

This hotel is what it promises. It's clean. It's situated well in Torrance. The staff is friendly. The room is ok. Nothing fancy but everything you need. We stayed for thirteen nights and are happy with the hotel.

This is the second time I stayed at this hotel. It is in a great location, not far from shopping and the beach. The room layout was designed nicely. I love that the beds are in a separate room from the sofa and kitchenette. The staff is friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the free breakfast and offerings were varied and plentiful. I will come back each time I am in town.

My wife and I were on a quick trip to the area and stayed two nights. We were not familiar with location but like the BW Plus brand. The desk clerk was extremely helpful and pleasant. On first site, the room seemed a little small but after being in it, the size was just right. Our experiences with hotel refrigerators has not been all that good but the one here worked just like the one at home. It kept our drinks nice and cold. The bathroom was huge but did lack good lighting. The bedding was very comfortable and my wife is now looking for the same type of pillows for home. The room suited our needs to a tee.

We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting our son. Rodrigo at the front desk was very welcoming and efficient. He called my husband to let him know we had left some important papers in the lobby and held them for us at the front desk. The breakfast was very nice with gluten-free options and almond milk available. The Starbucks machine was fun. Staff was friendly. We did not use the fitness center. The business center was very handy.

My friends and I stayed here for 4 days. We throughly enjoyed ourselves. The room was nice and spacious. they had free breakfast which was yummy ??. The front desk guy rodrigo made us feel welcome. Free cookies and complimentary water when we first arrived. I ordered from Amazon prime now and they delivered our items to our door which was unexpected. We stayed at the BWA hotel in a week for our technical business tour. We had to leave at the hotel at 9:30 am and come back around 6:00 pm every day. Therefore, it was required for us to have comfortable space and time during our stay in the hotel. The BWA hotel gave us a wonderful space and time.

Room was very nice and clean, everything worked, easy access. The bed was a little soft for my liking. Easy check in and out. Breakfast room a nice touch made it easy in the morning. Plenty of parking some inside but need to be a tad early to get those spots. Recommend this location

Upsides are a staff that is absolutely fantastic. Very welcoming and helpful. Rooms are modern and clean with nice beds. Downsides? Can't think of one. Maybe the room could be a bit bigger, and king sized beds would be nice. We'll have no qualms staying there again.

Hotel exceeded my expectations! Room was spacious, bathroom clean w/walk in shower with seat and Bath & Body products. Did not eat breakfast BUT went to the breakfast room to get coffee and they have a Starbucks machine! Very high tech...you can program anything from regular coffee to cappuccinos, lattes, hot chocolate, etc. VERY COOL! We only stayed for two nights visiting family in the area but I wish we could've stayed longer. The Del Amo Mall is about 5 minutes away.

This hotel was clean, the breakfast was excellent and the room was very nice. A little small but it was perfect for our short stay. It is centrally located to shopping. We will definitely stay here again.

Stayed here just overnight but I wish I would have stayed longer! This was the first Best Western I have tired and my expectations weren't very high to say to the least. When I arrived Rodrigo was juggling check ins and the phone but as soon as he had a chance he gave us his attention! The room was a lot bigger than expected and the beds were the best hotel beds I ever stayed in. Trust me I stay in a lot of hotels for work. The shower and toilet room was a little small but I wasnt spending a lot of time there. They had laundry that was was reasonably priced as well as a small fitness room. The breakfast was NOT just a small muffins and fruits breakfast. They had a large selection as well as a Starbucks coffee machine! So delicious! My short stay there was wonderful! Rodrigo always greeted us with a hello and he is one of the reasons I will return! That and the cookies and the room itself! :) such a great experience!

Return stay. Once again, bedding and rooms clean and suite spacious. Shower, vanity, clean and all in working order. Breakfast area well-stocked, neat, clean. Staff cordial, quick to keep tables clean. Courtney at check-in and Tasha at check-out provided exemplary service. Agree with other reviewers food odor somewhat permeated hall and elevators but not in our room. Loud TVs and loud conversation from next room slightly audible but not bothersome. One dissatisfaction is the rather loud and very cold A/C unit near one of the beds. However, this can be easily remedied by carefully adjusting the ON/OFF and desired temperature while out of the room and prior to bedtime. All in all, satisfactory stay and above-mentioned inconveniences is not a deterrent to stay in the property again. Plus is five-minute drive to Del Amo Shopping Center with tenants Nordstrom, Kate Spade, etc. and also Sears and Marshall's. Further down the road is Trader Joe's.

I am very happy with my stay at this Best Western. My room was great. It was nice having (free) breakfast every morning at my leisure. My room was near the breakfast room so I'd run out and get a quick coffee before my shower, then a full breakfast an hour later. Front desk folks were very friendly, always greeted us and even called me the day of my arrival because the room was ready a little early. Great location, easy free parking, fresh fruit in the lobby, a nice ambiance. I will return again. The hotel was completely full every day I was there but I didn't have any problems with my room bring cleaned or check in/out. If you are a light sleeper I suggest you don't have a second floor room near the breakfast room. People are loud in the hallway on their way. I loved the second floor room not only for the nearby food, but the stairs were convenient so one flight up was the ice machine, candy and soda machines- one flight down and I was in the lobby.

My son and I had to stay in a hotel due to a flood from the water heater. Either us did not want to leave the house school was about to start and I wanted the routine of home.The hotel was very clean and very nice helpful staff. Also the breakfast was very good.

I needed a reasonably priced, safe place to say while visiting a friend in the nearby hospital. This fit the bill - my room was small (they called it a suite, which is a stretch), but as a woman traveling alone my #1 priority was safety. Indoor corridors are a must for me, and many of the motels and extended-stay places near the hospital were exterior access. Front desk staff was extremely nice and friendly, even bringing the water bottles he'd given me but that I'd forgotten up to my room a few minutes later.

We saw some great reviews on BW and TripAdvisor which helped me choose your hotel, it was a great decision. Clean hotel, great breakfast option and if you are a BW member you get a welcome goodies bag, what a nice touch! Not sure who makes these wonderful decisions but its the little things that guest appreciate. Ask for a room not facing the street if you like to sleep with open window.

Such a nice place. My room was just excellent; clean, modern and nicely appointed. My suite was very comfortable - however, the pillows were lame. The staff was excellent. I had given up staying at Best Western motels and was a bit nervous when my company booked this for me. What a nice surprise!

Not sure about the bad reviews, but the room was spacious and not your average room design..felt like a little apartment. Hotel was exceptionally clean, nicely decorated, and the breakfast was probably the BEST we have had in an under $200/night stay. The food was REAL and not mystery cafeteria grade. Don't hesitate to stop here if you are looking to get out of alas congestion on your way south of the city..it's very nice and quiet here.

The rooms are small and poorly planned. In some rooms, door of the washroom, when opened, literally touches the bed. The staff is not customer friendly. They always throw rules at you like you have to give your dry-cleaning by 8 AM or we will not deliver it the same day. Sometimes they took more than 2 days to deliver my clothes because one of the employees forgot to take them to dry cleaners. The internet in the room keeps disconnecting & has very poor connectivity in the corner rooms on 4th floor. Also, the breakfast spread is neither great nor tasty.

I would not go to this hotel again. I am a Diamond level member on the Best Western Award. I received very poor customer service when I stayed at this hotel. Compare to the other BW hotel that I stay in the area, I was very disappointed on my service. When I checked in, I asked to use my Best Western Reward travel card - $50. The clerk assured me that he entered this into the system. When I checked out, I find out the full amount was charged. I asked the clerk to fix the problem. She said that she cannot and need a manager authority to fix it. The manager was not available. He will call me later and fix the problem. The manager never called me. I got the bill on the credit card on the full amount. In hind site, how can the manager not be available at 12 noon? It was a delaying tactic to ignore me. I have cancel any further trip to this hotel. What good is a a reward card if you cannot use it. I am very disappointed on how they treat a "Diamond" level member. I am very disappointed at the staff at this hotel and will never use it again.

Friendly, safe, convenient. Tip: Go to the Breakfast that is offered early for best selection and quiet breakfast:) Free parking and free breakfast was one of the reasons we chose to stay here. We would stay here again if our plans take us to Torrence in the future. Staff was very helpful and friendly and property is very clean. Nice to be able to have free WiFi and print your own tix for the flight home. Lots of movie channels too:)

This Hotel meet and exceeds our expectations. It does not have a big luxury reception desk but the quality and cleanliness of the rooms and breakfast option gives you the best value for your dollar exceeding many other hotels with luxury reception rooms.

I am the travel manager for a tech company, and therefore work with many hotels in many locations. I wish every hotel I work with was as clean and the employees were as friendly as this location. Rigo and his team go out of their way to provide the best service possible. It is also central to many restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. I highly recommend this hotel, whether you are here on business, or on family vacation. This is your best bet for the price!

Great room, all updated. Plenty to choose from at breakfast. Friendly staff. We were a family of four. Our room was quiet too. Very pleased with our stay. We had family in Torrence which is why we stayed at this location. Close to a large outdoor shopping mall.

I have always stayed at BW Avita Suites whenever I have business in Torrance. Great breakfast with lots of good food items, clean and beautifully designed rooms, staff is awesome. Water and cookies always at check-in. The best hotel experience ever in Torrance and I will never stay anywhere else!

Nice hotel in a great area. Big mall nearby and lots of regular stores just a block or two away. Hotel itself is easy to find,l and breakfast is pretty ok. Rooms have a small kitchen, small separated work area with couch and a desk, and a bathroom with the sink area separated out. Had a few problems with my keycard the first 2 days but it was handled quickly and with a smile. If I'm in the area, I'll definitely stay here again.

Great deal for the price. The hot breakfast was good except for the canned fruit (which was bad-rancid and fermenting). The staff were friendly & professional. I will stay here again. It is near numerous shops, malls and restaurants.

The experience at the Best Western Plus Avita Suites in Torrance was superb. It was well organized, clean, accommodating, and friendly! The decor was exceptional as well! My wife and I stayed here while visiting our son in LA. We were looking for a place close to his apartment,as well as close to the beach. This hotel is very nice, new, clean and modern hotel. The suite room, although somewhat small was clean and the bathroom was nice with a modern sink, and separated commode and shower room. We had a small fridge and kitchenette area. The Room was quiet.The hotel is about 2 miles from Redondo Beach down Torrance Avenue. It's also very closely located to Hermossa beach. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful, even offering cookies and cold water on arrival. Wi-Fi is free and included and the included morning breakfast is also very nice including eggs,sausage,bacon and varieties of cereals and fruits.

This was the best Best Western Plus I've ever stayed at. From start to finish as a guest they made us feel like Royalty. Well designed rooms, VERY comfortable beds, very clean well kept hotel. Also the best breakfast (included) very large selection of items including Bacon and Eggs!. Don't go anywhere else if you're staying in the South Bay, you found your Hotel!!!

Nice room but noisy plumbing sounds (flushing water) from above. Had a hard time getting to sleep. 2nd floor room. Shouldn't expect this for a $200+ room. Also was not offered express check out option. On check in, no one at front desk for 5 minutes.

Stayed one night. Constant flushing sound from room upstairs. Ironic because I needed a room because of home plumbing problem. There was no one at the check in counter at 9 am and had to wait around. No express check out option given. Expect more for a $200+ room rate.

I just spent one night here before a business meeting in Torrance. The location is nice and the receptionist was kind to offer bottles of water upon check-out and it helped me on such a hot day! If I'd be in this area, will stay again.

This hotel was on their A game catering to everything you could want. They were big on the details (like bottle water as you leave!!) and excellent customer service. We're sad to leave. :) It's very clean and updated with free parking. If you're thinking about it, do it! You won't regret it.

We stayed at the Best Western Plus Avita Suites for 5 nights. We loved our suite that had a door separating the bed room from the living and kitchen area. The customer service during check in, etc. was great. The included breakfast buffet was very good and had lots of choices. However, they were out of orange juice two days. They probably could have just used some pitcher to dispense the orange juice. They supplied a Keypr Tablet in the suites which was very useful especially if you did not bring a tablet or laptop.

Great hotel - customer service and value exceptional - especially for an LA hotel located so close to the beach. We were just 2 miles from the beach. Free breakfast buffet a real plus - lots to select from and delicious. Rooms are spacious and comfortable - I will definitely be back. Check-in and checkout was seamless and stress-free.

We stayed here for a few nights and we had a great experience. Rigo from the front desk is very nice and professional. We did have an issue of the people below us having sex from 11-m to 5 am ( pretty sure making a porno ) and we called the front desk and nothing was done about it.

Worker chased me down asked for my room # because I took 2yogurt, 2banana to my room. (Felt like I was in a third world country that lack food ????) She said she's going to call the manager ?? and I'm suppose to eat only in the breakfast area (felt like a child ??) Room is way too small to put all the furniture in to be a suite. No reading lights just the lights on the ceiling. Bed is so uncomfortable. No queen neither king bed. Other than that the hotel is clean, great location.

Stayed four nights in June. Situated in Torrance in a safe area with shops and restaurants nearby. About 10 minutes drive to freeways and the same time to the ocean. The suite was comfortable but I found the pillows too stiff, high and bouncy. The lighting was also inadequate with insufficient over the bathroom wash area and the living space. These are minor criticisms. One or two table lamps would make an enormous difference since the only window (by the bed) did not offer much light to the sitting area. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was included in the room rate. This was adequate but I think the coffee was instant, by the taste! Free parking and wifi. Reception gave me two bottles of drinking water and a couple of cookies on arrival. Nice gesture. One needs a car of course - it's LA. I drove to downtown on the freeway and it took about 30-45 minutes in heavy traffic. I drove to Pasadena and Beverly Hills on other occasions and the journeys are long and tiring with constant stops and heavy congestion - the freeways are not much quicker than the streets, except one doesn't have the traffic lights. If one needs downtown LA perhaps this hotel is not ideal, but good in every other respect.

After going through various options in and around Los Angeles, we (three of us) chose this hotel and stayed here for 3 nights. During our previous visit we stayed near to the airport where there is nothing nearby. The location Torrance itself is great as the hotel is close to shopping mall and other shopping options . Also in-n-out restaurant is nearby. The hotel is multi floor and rooms are of suite type with two rooms having amenities such as kitchenette, microwave, tea/ coffee maker, etc. The bedroom is of reasonable size and slightly dated. The sleep comfort was OK. The hotel offers complimentary breakfast which was very good. Overall it was a comfortable stay and would like to consider if we visit LA again.

We were impressed about the service quality of the check out team. We had lots of luggage including, baby, photo equipment a fat tire bicycle and needed proper transportation. Rodrigo and Allen helped us with outstanding ideas! Thank you. We enjoyed the stay very much. Breakfast was great.

The room was very poorly designed. The closet was in the rear, with two relatively useless couches and a desk in the front. The tv was way off to the side of the beds, which were ok. There were no side tables next to the beds and the lighting was awful, no reading lights and the rest very bright. Bath area was open 9except for toilet). Gym had 2 treadmills, one bike and one nautilus machine, no free weights. Breakfast fine, staff fine, cleanliness ok. Price very high for what you got

Great location-near shopping and dining. Kitchenette w/microwave a plus. Bring your own paper plates/utensils & cups. Comfortable beds, excellent floor plan and up to date decor. Good selection at breakfast. Always very nice front desk service! Down side is thin walls and you will hear the person in the next room snoring or partying until 4am which means no real sleep so I have started looking at other options when staying in LA.

We enjoyed the smaller town feel after the rat race getting through LA. The hotel is pretty new and in a good location for the town of Torrance. If you are going into downtown LA it will take you quite some time to get there even though it is not that far mileage wise the traffic can be really bad on the 405. We attended a local car show & it was very close by so made the stop great.

One of the best hotels we stayed at, very clean, excellent breakfast, safe neighborhood. Great staff and the Hotel is fairly new construction. The breakfast was top notch and the lady who served it was working hard making sure everything is refreshed. We'll be back.

Stayed here for short trip and the staff was good. They have ample of parking and close by restaurants and shopping. The only thing is its has no pool. Breakfast was good. It about 20 mins drive away frok LAX airport but its good

Pleasantly surprised when we walked into the room. Everything was nice, clean and modern. Beds were comfortable, my only complaint were the pillows they were far too high. Fabulous breakfast with so much to chose from, best breakfast choices we've had during our 4 week trip. Bit of a drive back up to LA with traffic but we coped, it fit our budget and we were happy.

I typically do not write hotel reviews, but felt obligated to do so on this one. First off, the staff was amazing. I can't remember the last time I felt so welcome even at a five star hotel. When I first arrived, which was a late check-in, I was happily greeted with two complimentary bottles of water and a choice of a snack. Then, during my stay each time in passing, I was offered a bottle of water and asked if I needed anything. Our room was clean, comfortable, and very spacious. My basic room included a living area and even a kitchenette! Breakfast buffet was free and of good quality. The only negatives is there is only one elevator in the whole building which causes a longer wait time. Also, the A/C in my particular room didn't perform quite as well as I hoped, but was not problem with it being late winter. I believe positives greatly out weigh the negatives, so it gets 5 stars.

My first stay here and I enjoyed the room and amenities. Staff was friendly. It was updated, spacious and very comfortable. Didn't eat the hotel breakfast - it was nice to have the mini kitchen with microwave and refrigerator.

Although it's not in a strategic location within L.A., Best Western Plus Avita Suites is comfortable, nice looking, clean and very friendly place to stay. If you're visiting L.A. for the first time you should consider renting a car. That would save you some precious time, considering how big the city is and how expensive taxis may be. Now, if you decide to use the public transportation, you can, of course, but it will take more time to get to places, specially considering the infamous traffic hours of L.A. Anyway, the Best Western Plus Avita Suites is a good place to stay for a reasonable Price, wether you're driving or being driven. Torrance is probably not the most central area in L.A. but it still have it's charm, being very near to Redondo Beach, a beautiful surfing zone within minutes of distance. Also, it's not very far from the L.A. International Airport. But if you're planning to stay near the Hollywood area there's another Best Western in Hollywood, wich I'm sure is as good as the one in Torrance. The Best Western Plus Avita Suites has a dining room, a gym, wi fi internet connection, and the service is just impecable. Please do consider.

I was greeted by friendly hotel staff and I was checked in quickly. The hotel was very nice, everything looked new/updated. The hotel only offers queen suites, either one queen or two queens. As soon as I walked in, I saw a kitchenette, desk, and sofa. There were two queen beds with huge headboards. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had a very beautiful, separate vanity, and small but functional water closet. They do have a magnifying mirror. They have upgraded room entry, you just have to tap it to the receiver. A very nice feature when you have your hands full of stuff. The hotel overall is small. The breakfast, on the second floor was fabulous as always. Get there early for the shortest wait time. I went down 15 minutes after breakfast started and the room was already half full. If you are hoping for a view there isn't one. If you like shopping, there is a very nice shopping center,restaurants, and movie theater less than 2 miles away. Redondo beach pier is about 15 minute drive away by street. Los Angeles proper is about 25-35 minutes away by freeway.

I stayed at the Best Western for 3 weeks in a row on a business trip and it made the difference. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. They offer a great selection for breakfast. The rooms are comfortable, updated, and spacious. The check in/out process is easy. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone staying in the area.

We stayed in this hotel for 1 night on Saturday, 30th of January 2016. We had 1 bedroom suite with 2 queen beds as there was 4 of us: 2 adults and 2 kids age 4 and 3 :) This was a night before our cruise from San Pedro and originally we tried to book something closer to the port but could not find anything reasonably priced for the 4 of us, so decided to look a bit further away and we weren't disappointed. - first pleasant surprise - location of the hotel - is much better than anticipated, loads of restaurants nearby and much closer to the port than we thought, even after checking it out on google maps :) - our room was very spacious and very clean. We loved the separate area with comfy couch, tv, fridge and microwave. A lot of storage and a very good size bathroom with an excellent shower. Beds are very comfortable as well, all of us had a great night sleep. Excellent soundproofing, didn't hear any outside noises. - breakfast - was very good, expected much less and got a good mix of continental and hot breakfast. - staff - very professional and friendly! - if you are going on the cruise - it might be worth your while having a chat with manager re leaving your car there for the duration and taking uber to the port. It didn't work out for us as they were completely booked out for the next few days with conference but it wasn't our 1st option anyway as we have too much stuff with 2 small kids. If it was just 2 of us - definitely a great option. - price - we got a great price, no comparison to San Pedro hotels. Overall - we had a great stay and we will definitely stay here again if in the area.

Our room was the nicest we have had in a long time. So clean no smells beds were wonderful,only problem no soda or candy machine I did find that odd.It is away from the beach however you get such a great buy I didn;t miss the water. I love the setting area in our room.

I was here for 2 nights and it was a wonderful location in terms of being away from downtown, feeling comfortable to walk during the evening, availability of services, dining opportunities, and great staff!

It is very nice for the most part...the breakfast is okay and better than expected. Problem: We had to check out early for a Dodgers Stadium tour and there was no one there at the counter and they claim to be there 24/7. Wasn't so thrilled with that. The room layout was also funky and they didn't make use of the small space.

Came to the area on business and it was such a delight staying at this Hotel. The room I had was clean, the bed was a pillowtop bed, and the room even had a tablet it in it to use apps and browse! The breakfast was much better than I thought - they had kale egg whites and turkey bacon and much much more. The staff was all very nice and attentive. For the price I paid, this hotel meant all my needs and I will agree with all the other positive reviews. This is the place to stay if you are looking for a hotel near the beach, shopping, restaurants, or LAX. I highly recommend this hotel and I will be staying here the next time I come to Los Angeles!

My niece and I needed a place to stay to regroup after a weekend in Vegas and before a long international flight. The hotel is conveniently located near a great shopping mall- Del Amo, and plenty of restaurants. As we had a rental car, the parking is both free and plentiful at hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and accommodated our request for a late check out and storage of suitcases until our ride to the airport. The room was spacious and clean. The beds were extremely comfortable and located towards the rear of hotel so lovely and quiet. There was plenty of space for suitcases and additional shopping bags. The only thing that might have been nice was to have had additional blankets available in the room but this was no real issue. The welcome cookies and bottle of water at check in are an appreciated touch.

I stayed for three weeks at this hotel in December 2015. The hotel is clean and functional. But what makes this hotel great are the staff. They always have smile and are willing to go that extra mile to help. Particular mention goes to Bryan at reception, with whom I interacted with the most - he was outstanding. Ricardo in reception - met him briefly but he was superb. The breakfast was GREAT; made even more memorable by the lady who greeted me with a smile every morning and was always helpful; even when I was late. Only two things let me down - the mattress and pillows - gave me a back ache but I have this problem in USA where I find the mattresses are too soft. Secondly, in room 230, the wifi was very patchy. Overall I had a great experience at this hotel which is very conveniently located near Del Amo shopping mall and Hawthorne Blvd. The young South Asian gentleman in reception (Forgive me if I made the wrong assumption) was really helpful when I asked him if I could check out 3 hours later as my flight was not till 1930. Note to the owners - whatever you are doing, please keep it up...the staff are excellent..their high morale is what makes this place great. Look after this team.

Boutique style, lovely amenities, quiet floor, business center accessible with room key card, covered parking and across from Chicken Dijon Rotisserie & Grill. Would stay again and recommended. Breakfast schedules are different on the weekend.

Had a rocky check in but overall it was nice. Very quiet and the staff was ok. I wish they knew more about the area when I asked for great places to eat. I won't be staying again because I didn't like the location but I did like it was literally 5 minutes from the mall.

Very clean Hotel. Probably one of the "Best" Best Western's in the state of California. I would definately recommend this Hotel to anyone. Easy access to beach, restaurants and Freeway. I am looking forward to another stay here in the near future.

I stayed with my family during the new year holiday. The rooms are very clean. The breakfast is awesome! We had a little problem with noise. Someone was playing loud music late at night. Overall the experience was good, except for the noise at night.

Friendly, helpful staff. Clean, updated rooms. Breakfast was stellar with a lot of options. The only thing missing was a pool but being December, we were okay with that! Central to shopping and restaurants. We would come again the next time were are in the area.

We stayed at this hotel for the first time during the holidays. The property is nicely appointed and well maintained with state of the art digital access. All staff we encountered were friendly and professional. We plan to make this our "go to" hotel when we are in the area.

Family trip. Grandson had an appointment at a UCLA facility close by. Have two rooms that are well equipped and large. Room appointments are very nice and rooms are well maintained and very clean. The complimentary breakfast is very nice, replenished promptly, with a great variety! And the staff in the breakfast room are super and so helpful! Downside is that there are no vending machines so can't grab a pop or a snack. To compensate the front desk provides free bottled water. And the night we checked in at 11 pm, one of the desk clerks opened the breakfast room so we could grab a snack. He was amazingly helpful with everything, including luggage. Be aware there is no pool!

I was in town for a short business trip and stayed at the Best Western on Torrance Blvd. Although only one night, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. I had no problems at all, but if something were to have come up, I could tell the staff here would give it the utmost attention. The room, or should I say suite, was excellent. Nice layout, the paint and interior selection was warm and welcoming, and the bed and furniture were all top notch.

We traveled from San Fran. to LA and stayed at several brands of hotels. The Best Western in Torrance sold us completely on Best Westerns. The room was beautiful, comfortable with all you could ask for and more. The breakfast was better than any we have seen in all our travels. Just had a little more choices than any other. Was an excellent choice and value. We will be looking at Best Western as a first choice from now on.

Stayed here for two short business trips of a couple of days each. The hotel has easy parking, reasonable sized rooms, decent in-room facilities and a varied breakfast. I was however marvelling at some of the 5* reviews from other Tripadvisor members. They must have stayed in some really dire places to find this hotel quite so spectacular. The location is good, central to Torrance and all the companies located there. A 10 minute drive to Redondo Beach and its facilities. Ample car parking some covered. Rooms are well appointed and clean if a little dark. Good TV and microwave/fridge if needed. Could do with mor soundproof windows. So 4/5 there. OK, cookies and water on arrival - nice touch. Breakfast was varied with fresh fruit, yoghurt, waffles, cereal but offset by the usual burnt-to-hell bacon and odd sausages. 3/5 Would I stay here again - sure! It is great for the price and location but beware hyped reviews.

Decided to take the word of my fellow trip advisor contributors and stay at this hotel. I was not disappointed. Driving into the lot i was impressed with the building and the ample amount of parking. I was welcomed with cookies and bottled water when checking in. The hotel lobby smelled very nice. I was given a second floor room and coming in was introduced to an unpleasant smell. Other than that the room was very nice. It was modern, spacious, lots of light and clean. The layout of the room is well done; I felt like I was at someone's studio. The wash area is separate from the toilet and bathtub. The shower head was covered with lime or whatever build up happens from hard water. The tub had mold around some areas which I wasn't too thrilled about. The worst part is when I turned on the water in the faucet or shower it had a sulfur smell. Yuck. Despite the bathroom issue and initial unpleasant smell I really enjoyed the room. Lots of channel choices, comfy couch, comfy bed and modern amenities. I would stay here again, for the price it's definitely worth coming back!

Excellent, full breakfast ... one of the best provided breakfasts I've ever experienced. I agree with AAA rating of 3 stars. Very well maintained, newly refurbished. Nice room accommodations, modern features. Will come back for the breakfast.

We searched TA for lodging south of LAX. Most seemed ok but with the negative feedback for most of them was really bad. This hotel was centrally located and fit our needs . I would go out of my way to stay there. The young man at the desk was very nice and accommodating. The room, though a bit on the small side, was EXCEPTIONALLY clean. The beds and pillows were comfy and it was quiet too! Whenever passing a cleaning staff lady in the hall, everyone looked up, smiled, and said hello and have a nice day!! The breakfast area was immaculate and the best food we've ever had included in price of room. The woman in charge of that was also appropriately friendly and all the staff seemed to take pride in their jobs. The only negative was a young lady at the check in desk. She was business like but had a bit of an attitude. Great stay!!

I came here because of the low price and close to my destination, but couldn't have been more pleased. This hotel is beautifully appointed, well managed, and clean as could be. The price for this hotel makes it a win/win for all travelers. With teen boys, the queen beds were spacious and the extra sofa area for tv watching along with a mini kitchen was ideal. We're already coming back... tomorrow.... since cousins are near. A gem of a find!

This is a very nice hotel! Pros: Nice staff, clean rooms, lots of parking, nice decor and beds, A/C, modern decor, high tech in room tablet, very large flat screen TV. microwave, fridge, walk in shower. Breakfast was outstanding! They have some covered parking to keep your car cool on hot days. Close to shopping mall and other stores and gas station - so no problem with running out of stuff. Did I mention that the staff was great. It was quiet, no partying, no loud children running up and down the hallway or messing with the elevator. Hot cookies and cold water when you arrive! There is even fruit available at the front desk. No hassle. Cons: Small room depending on which room you get. Only one office chair, so more than one person eating in the room is not that comfy. No hot oatmeal for breakfast - well, we like hot oatmeal (they had packets), hot chocolate was watery - need to add more mix please. We stayed for only one night, but would have stayed longer if we needed to.

We have stayed here many times in the past. We keep coming back because of the quality of the property, location, staff and value for the price. It is convenient to all of South Los Angles and the terrible freeways. You will not be disappointed with your choice to stay here.

Had an opportunity to stay here and found the service and staff support excellent. All amenities were there to make stay comfortable. I can recommend this hotel for Business Executives and Sales Associates traveling or meeting in the area.

If you are out here for business trip, stay here, it is one of the advance hotel room I have seen, great size of room, and all other, breakfast was a killer!! I would recommend this place to all my coworkers and friends who are wasting for over night flights

Located in Torrance near Del Amo and a few beaches, which was nice if you're staying local. The hotel is a few miles away from the nearest freeway, which can be a hassle. Clean lobby and quiet hotel, which is a plus. My partner and I didn't have a problem checking in. I had reserved a Suite with a Queen. When we got to the "suite" we were surprised at how small it was, like someone else said "to call it a suite is a stretch". My partner is not of average height and build. The bed was not a queen as described, it was actually a full. I called the front desk but I was told all the beds were of the same size which was disappointed because they were small, my partner is not a small man so we slept uncomfortably. The room can get too hot or too cold. This was just an average room and I think it's overpriced and mislabeled as a suite. If you're looking for a suite, this is definitely not it. I just wasn't satisfied and we travel often.

I stayed here for a business trip. The hotel was clean, staff was professional and very nice. I enjoyed the breakfast. I liked the location of this hotel as there are many places to eat and it is close to the mall.

The room was clean and quiet. but to call it a "suite" is a stretch. There is a foyer space on entering the room, with a two-person couch, a desk, sink. microwave, and refrigerator. The bedroom is open beyond, with the bathroom opposite the bed. The lay out is efficient, but I think to spend a great deal of time in the room would feel claustrophobic. The desk clerks were extremely friendly and accommodating. The location is central to Torrance, making it easy to get anywhere in minutes. Redondo Beach is just two miles away down Torrance Blvd. There are restaurants all around, by foot or car. I would definitely stay again - the staff and location are excellent.

Very comfortable hotel. Staff is extremely friendly. Complimentary Continental Breakfast was very good. Surprised by how many channel were available on the DirectTV. Most Hotels give you the basic package of channels, this one had a huge selection. The Free Wifi was easy to connect too.

When you vist Best Western Plus you get your money worth and the free breakfast in the morning is well worth it. also it is very close to all of the shopping center and it is very quite and nice and the whole place smells really nice all the time. we will make this our choice of hotel in the future.

An excellent place to stay in Torrance for whatever reason. I had to come here for a conference. Free WiFi without hassle (ie not needing to divulge any personal information to log on) was a plus. Room are very clean and amply furnished. Hot breakfast with some healthy options too. I would come back here again if I ever have to be in Torrance. Would probably recommend you have your own transportation, but that is often the case for any place in SoCal.

This was the best hotel for the money you can find in Torrance! The staff are friendly, the rooms, and beds are comfy! If I am back in LA again I will only stay here no matter where my meeting might be!

Clean and comfortable place to call home in Los Angeles South Bay area. This hotel is close to everything in the South Bay - beaches, Shopping, and of course food and night life. The breakfast is great - hot buffet.

I enjoy staying at BW Avita Suites. In addition to the great rates, the hotel is clean, rooms are nicely designed, staff are great and overall a wonderful experience. Whenever I am in Torrance, I will not stay at any other hotel but only at BW Avita!

First time at Avita Suites and the facility's location was great for work and Redondo Beach. Lots of great eating choices near the hotel. The breakfast offerings were outstanding with a great staff and 6 different waffle choices!

I would highly recommend this hotel. The rooms are like new even though an employee said it was built in 2007. The room was great, spacious for the 4 of us and the beds were awesome. I slept like a baby. Breakfast was great, various options that kept if fresh and the service from the woman and the guy at the front desk was outstanding. Recommend you stay at this hotel.

This is a clean updated hotel with excellent staff and a good breakfast buffet. I would stay here again since it is in a central location for shopping and a 20 min drive to the beach. They allow early check in and have a rsink and microwave with grocery stores and restaurants nearby. Bring your own silverware :)

Stayed there as a result of another Best Western finding us a room there- This hotel is super clean, and rooms are comfortable and very quiet- Reminds of small rooms you have in Tokyo high end hotels- Front desk could not be kinder- many high end restaurants nearby- Was only a 20 minute drive to airport yet is in a very trendy area-about 10 minutes to the beach - pricing was affordable and well below what we expected to pay for a hotel that is updated and modernized-
