"Neither serious nor professional"
giulia t, 28 Décembre 2023

I never stayed at this hotel. It was enough to try to book a room: I confirmed my reservation to the receptionist, both by call and by email, also providing credit card number for warranty. One day before my stay, they send me an email saying that our room had been booked by another customer and I could no more go there. Just for that, I will never go there. Neither serious nor professional.

"Worst Best Western we've ever stayed in."
Dan W, 20 Février 2023

Where do I even start with this?! We had booked a family room for me, my wife & 14 year old son and a double room for my mum. When we checked in we were on floor 2 and my mum was on floor 5! Worst thing about it is that the lift only goes to floor 4 and she is 74 and needs two knee replacements. Nowhere does it say you have to walk up any steps let alone that many. We asked if we could be closer together only to be told no we are full with a conference. Why a conference have to be near each other at the expense of a family I can only assume it's because we are English. I booked the room 3 weeks prior to staying so I don't know why they couldn't put us closer together, surely common sense would tell you a family would like to be closer together like hotels do in the UK. When we got to our family room it looked like something from the 1940's and it stank of smoke. To our horror we found that it was a smoking room! I didn't think there were any hotels around that still did smoking rooms. And why would you put a family with a child in a smoking room? We asked again at reception if we could move, told again they were full but they would put a machine in there to help with the smell. Also said we might be able to move room tomorrow as the conference people will be gone. That didn't happen either. Three different staff on each time we asked, all said they would help us, none of them did, they just hoped we left it. When we left they charged us an extra €25, when I queried it they said it was tourist tax but that was already included on the bill so I queried it again only to be told that my 14 year old was classed as an adult as children are only classed up to age 12 there so they added that on without telling me. We stayed in Milan two days before and they didn't charge our son city tax. Seriously there are so many other hotels in Turin, stay in one of those because these lot clearly don't like 'foreigners' and don't even try to hide it.

"Good value, handy for station"
europtraveller, 04 Septembre 2022

A Best Western Hotel which provides no more than one should expect for the price and rating but is good value for a short stay. Rooms have all the usual facilities, staff were helpful (and available 24/7). It is only a few minutes' walk from Porta Nuova railway station even if not in the city centre.

"Disaster"
590santhas, 04 Août 2022

This hotel is completely a disaster The first room are totally broken, leaking water at the sink and the toilet are leaking too. The AC is not working due to poor service of it. And it was not clean at all! When we complain, they said “sorry, we knew about this problems at your room”, well got another roomer there is working, but we had to change it at the morning due to it was reserved. And the upgrade our stay to a bigger room, here the water is leaking at shower and AC is not working due to improper service. Our stay was a disaster and waste of time, this is not what Best westerns hotel standard at all. They have broken rooms and good rooms. We will NOT recommend this place! Update: We write to the hotel this. When we checked in, it was already night, the room we got was leaking water from the sink and toilet and had an awful rotten smell and the AC was not working at all. We complained, and they told us, that they knew about all this issue, but they don't understand why they gave us this room. We got relocated to a new smaller room, but unfortunately, we had to reallocated at the morning before 9 am. This room was fully functional. They told us they will upgrade it to a junior suit now, after inspection of the room, we told them that the AC is not working, and water was leaking. But they told us we can't do anything about it. We were sleepless and could not take a proper shower at all, we tried to knock on the other side of the room, same room and everything are working, we fell like we got all the broken rooms in the hotel. We try to talk to the staff again, this time they are mad us, all we wish is a proper working room, that's all. Nothing more than that, and then started to act strange, no-good morning or hello. Our holiday was a disaster in Turin, we used so much energy and time in this, and we had never seen a best western hotel standard, like this at all. The answer we got now, is that they say it is misgiven, but admit the AC is not working. Well still complicated, will keep the review updated.

"Wonderful hotel that you want to come back to"
OlgPug, 29 Juin 2022

Very nice hotel in a good location in the center of Turin. Nice rooms, well cleaned with nice decor. Fantastic staff who care about their customers. Want to mark a young guy at the front desk (I forgot to ask his name but it seems he is the only young guy at the front desk). He is very nice, social and has told us a lot about Turin and its sights and how we can reach them. Can highly recommend this hotel! If I come back to Turin, I'll stay here again.

"Look for a better option"
Daval2022, 28 Juin 2022

I do not recommend this hotel, we needed to change the room because the air conditioner was not working and even in the second room it did not worked. We stayed all night awake it was impossible to sleep in that temperature. If you want to have breakfast you need to talk first with the front man, even when it is written that it serves at 5 am it does not. Terrible experience go an look for a better place!!

"Best deal to discover Tutin"
Vivoqui, 01 Avril 2022

Excellent location, 3 minutes from the train station, 10 minutes walking from the centre, multietnic and calm neibourhood full of bars and restaurants, very nice smiley and available staff, clean room and fantastic breakfast!!!! Best deal ever!

"Make sure everything works for you!"
davidtinney, 22 Novembre 2021

I've just spent four nights at the Best Western Piedmont in Turin, having booked this at the last minute after an Air BnB cancellation. First the positives. The staff at this hotel were very friendly, helpful, and all spoke English well. This is an older hotel located close to the main station and you can walk to the main piazza in about 20 minutes. An abundance of good restaurants are nearby, but as it is close to a train station it gets a bit rough at night. As we like watching a bit of BBC in the morning, we were disappointed to find that our TV didn't work. After reporting this three times (nothing happened) they decided to move us. In the new room (first floor) there was no WiFi and we tried this across four devices and even in the corridor. As we felt we had expended our quota of complaining we didn't say anything. As for the breakfast, we bought a rate that included breakfast but we strongly advise against this, as there are a number of cafes nearby. The breakfast was very basic and consisted mostly of biscuits. There were a number of non fresh croissants and cold cuts to order but there was no hot food at all. We do not buy that these are Covid related precautions as we have stayed at a number of hotels over the past 20 months and they can at least fry an egg. And the ‘loaded sandwich' for a 4 Euro supplement is just a cold ham sandwich. But if you do choose to stay here Turin is wonderful and good luck!

"Good location"
chrischembri, 02 Septembre 2021

Stayed at this hotel for 1 night in a double room. It is very close to the train which gives you easy access to the airport and trains. Moreover, the hotel is just a 10 minute walk from the city centre. Our room was comfortable, clean and with all the required amenities. Considering the current circumstances breakfast was good. The hotel also takes various prevention measures. We would surely return to this hotel the next we will be in Turin.

"No frills hotel in Torino's nightlife district"
344blankas, 28 Septembre 2020

The Best Western Hotel Piemontese is a simple but clean and comfortable hotel right in the middle of Torino's nightlife district. It is a rather perfect and good value for money option for a short stay, one or two nights but it must be noted that it gets quite noisy on weekend nights. The breakfast service is kind and attentive, guests are served from a wide selection at their table instead of a buffet offering.

"Good location and friendly staff"
Janet M, 13 Février 2020

The hotel is in a great location and easy access to the public car park so for us that was the main priority. As the hotel is a converted town house it does have a homely feel and clean. We were given a room on the top floor, however, if you can't or find stairs difficult, then that's not for you. The lift only goes to the 4th floor and then you have to leg it. The rooms at the top are as you would expect being in the attic full of wooden beams - so do mind your head. Unfortunately our jacuzzi didn't work so a little disappointing and the bathroom only had a hand held shower. That said, everything was clean and the beds comfy.

"Lovely hotel"
H6484NYnataliam, 21 Octobre 2019

Fast check in, bedroom 135 nice and very clean, asked an iron and ironing board was brought during 2 mins, towels plentiful, white and soft.Restaurant a bit chaotic in the morning but it was mentioned and we have seen ourselves were extremely busy fully booked.in general enjoyed our stay. Reservation department excellent very professional

"Simple cozy hotel in a nice neighbourhood"
YouBeeTs, 16 Octobre 2019

This hotel is located in the very lively San Salvario neighbourhood, which teems with small bars and restaurants. It is quite cozy, with rooms of decent size and good bathrooms. Personnel are very kind and helpful. A cheap, decent breakfast is served in a nice veranda. Very well priced. They have an agreement with a nearby public parking at 18 euros/day.

"Very Impressed"
306robc306, 23 Août 2019

Hotel is in a nice part of town. Nice cosmopolitan atmosphere at night. We felt very safe and the hotel is quiet. The hotel exceeded my expectations. Free pastries & coffee on arrival, a lovely breakfast selection and the staff provided excellent service throughout our 4 day stay. We made use of the lounge/sitting room and the outdoor/garden eating area. Turin is a lovely place to visit. Highly recommended.

"Fantastic Hotel"
slinds549011, 07 Août 2019

Amazing hotel in a great area which I would highly recommend. The staff was extremely helpful and the rooms large and clean. There were fantastic restaurants, gelato shops and shops all located on the same street at the hotel. Parking was close and convenient. The hotel was within walking distance of the major attractions of the city.

"Delightful hotel"
Stay14114213052, 17 Juin 2019

Boutique style hotel not far from the station, breakfast was fabulous and Anna at reception was delightful, she recommended some very nice places for a meal. Always with a smile. Grazie Mille Anna. Hope to return again.

"Nice but needs a renovation"
malbi, 08 Juin 2019

I have both positive and negative feelings about this hotel. Positive: - location: conveniently located near Porta Nuova station, close to pubblic transportation stops (metro, bus, train) it's easy to reach any part of the city - breakfast: in a very nice winter garden offers full continental breakfast - staff: very nice people welcomes you at the reception Negative: - location: the area does not seem to be very safe - room: needs a renovation, everything looks pretty old and shows its age If going back to Turin I would probably try some other place first.

"Warm welcome from friendly staff"
gremmietraveller, 13 Février 2019

This Best Western hotel is well located in the heart of Turin and has the added convenience of a nearby public carpark where they have an arrangement for parking at a reduced rate which is accessed via a magnetic card, so no need to worry about trying to find off street parking. The hotel front desk is very helpful and staff are friendly. As this is only a 3 star hotel you cannot complain about the rooms or cleanliness. They do offer breakfast but with so many coffee bars nearby it's just as easy to pop out. We were upgraded to the the suite on the top floor so the room was very quiet. The lift only goes to the 4th floor so it is only accessed by stairs so not suitable if you have mobility problems. Will definitely be back

"Family-run hotel in the city"
ErmintrudeMook, 04 Janvier 2019

Friendly hotel 10mins from the centre but close to the station. Nice rooms, small but clean and tidy. Standard/simple but good buffet breakfast. Hotel generally very quiet although I think we had a horse staying in the room above us, judging by the clattering! The streets around the hotel aren't particularly solo female/family friendly at night. Loved Turin, very few tourists but a hidden gem of a city.

"Excellent service"
NorCadTraveller, 04 Novembre 2018

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in November and everything was great. The front desk was very helpful in arranging transportation for us for a wine tasting in Barolo. The breakfast was €6 per person and was simple but good. The cleaning lady was great! After a day of touring, we came back to a clean and organized room! All the employees at the hotel are so friendly, and we had a very pleasant stay!

"Wrong traing took us to Torino but had a very pleasant stay at BW"
fbuyuk608851, 06 Août 2018

Very satisfactory in all aspects.. Returning from a day at sea side, we too the wrong train Sunday night so ended up at Torino on Sunday midnight rather than our destination Genova. We were welcomed at the reception by hotel rep who made our life a lot easier by quick check in and assisted us with necessary details such as toiletries and cell phone re charger as we had nothing with us except the beach clothes we were wearing and the beach bag :-) We had a good night's sleep and a wonderful breakfast at a very pleasant fee then re started our journey back to Genova... Many tks again to everyone and to best Western hotel chain. We hope to come and stay again at your premises hopefully for leisure :-) best regards Fusun Buyuklu (mrs)

"A little boutique base for exploring Turin"
282mollyb, 18 Mai 2018

Stayed here back in February 2018 for a 3 day trip in Turin. Very small and a boutique feel, especially if you stay on the upper floors in the penthouse area. A good base and near to the train station which is good if you want to travel outside of the city. The main city centre is however a 15 minute walk away so perhaps not the most central. It is a little bit on the backstreets but don't feel intimated as the hotel has a lovely feel to it and staff make you feel welcomed.

"I think I have been 5 times in Turin over the years. I found my spot at last."
John071, 17 Septembre 2017

I chose this hotel as I wanted to be close to Nova Porta train station. I came from Milan-Malpensa by coach, which terminates by Porta Susa station. I didn't take the underground, but walked in 30 minutes to the hotel. It is a 5 minute walk to the station from the hotel. But also into Turin centre you walk in a matter of minutes. Around the hotel are shops, restaurants even a market is nearby. My room was fine, Wifi was good, breakfast was excellent. Coffee making facilities, small fridge. I know where I stay when I visit Turin again. Great town to visit also! I think it is not that well known as a tourist destination. Probably Milan, Verona are better known. But Turin has a lot to offer. A real gem.

"Good hotel if you want to be in the city centre "
Shane G, 11 Septembre 2017

We stayed here for 4 nights while visiting family. The main reason we chose it was because it's a block away from them. The location is convenient but can be a bit "sketchy" especially at night. There is a very good selection of shops and restaurants nearby and its very close to the train station. The hotel itself is an older one which unfortunately shows at times, some of the amenities were broken. The only real deal breaker was that the air conditioning in our room only worked on fan mode and the weather was quite hot. The hotel was full the night we arrived so we had to deal with it, but thereafter were moved to a different room. We stayed in a superior room. These are located in the roof/attic of the building so we had some low rafters, so a warning for anyone tall. The staff were super friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Breakfast is typical Italian fare in a really lovely courtyard dining room.

"Convenient place"
Jessica P, 18 Juillet 2017

We stayed 1 night at the hotel Piedmontese. We were very well welcomed even though we have booked the room less than 30 minutes prior arriving. The rooms were functional (we booked the superior rooms): big enough for either one couple and 1 adult and a baby. Jacuzzi is the bathroom (didn't have a chance to use it). No noise at all from the street. The breakfast is very simple (no eggs or warm food) Great location: near the Valentino park. Lots of restaurant nearby.

"Don't get nervous with the neighborhood!"
Flocine, 16 Avril 2017

We got a bit anxious at first when we arrived as the area seemed a bit dodgy. We found the safe parking recommended by the hotel for 18€ a day which was fine. The rooms are good and have mini bar and kettle. We got a room on the inside courtyard which was very quiet. The breakfast included got a lot of options and excellent coffee. It is served in the winter garden; very pleasant. All in all very good value for money.

"Excellent location, super little hotel"
TripTrundlers, 30 Mars 2017

This was our second visit to the hotel and again we were not disappointed. The location is perfect for sightseeing as it's only a short walk to the end of the road and a central area where trams and tourist buses, restaurants and shops are located. The hotel itself is small but cosy and the rooms are very comfortable. We found the staff to be as friendly as on our previous visit and in fact were glad to see that the receptionist who was so helpful to us two years ago was still there. The selection for the buffet breakfast was quite large and varied and service was speedy. As a bonus the hotel is within walking distance (about 5 minutes) of the station if you intend to travel by train.

"Vegan traveling"
Shellwoodward, 01 Janvier 2017

We booked this hotel as we've experience of Best Western hotels in the UK. We booked a superior room for 4 nights & contacted them to see if they could provide vegan options for breakfast, they said they could and would. Upon arrival we discovered we had a standard room, which couldn't be upgraded until the following day & when we arrived for our first breakfast the staff had no idea about our vegan request, even though we checked during check in & was assured everything was in place. Once the kitchen staff were aware they ensured vegan options were provided. We did not complain or ask for compensation, but returned from a trip out to find a lovely hand written apology with a bottle of wine. The staff were lovely and helpful. The wi-fi is great, the rooms are clean and it is in a great location.

"Very nice enjoyable"
Holly J, 11 Décembre 2016

The location and services were great. Could walk to all sites and shopping districts easily. Rooms very clean and comfortable. The view from our room not great and did hear sound from outside, highly recommend this hotel

"A wonderful stay!"
jsal23, 25 Octobre 2016

Situated very near Porta Nuovo station, Best Western proved once again to be extremely reliable. Staff were very helpful and friendly, and room was spotless. Don't be put off by the surrounding area- lots of bars, cheap eats and great restaurants near by. Will definitely be staying there again!

"nice and kind hotel with friendly and helpful staff"
serge g, 14 Septembre 2016

well located hotel with very friendly and helpful staff it s not a big hotel without character but a nice play where we have great pleasure to stay it s easy to find and parc is not so far from hotel staff is very kind and helfpful with respect but normal attitude

"Lovely romantic hotel"
Vaida G, 20 Mai 2016

Me and my my boyfriend stayed there for 3 nights in April. I loved the hotel. It's not the one you'd describe as perfect, but i found it absolutely charming. Decorated in lovely Italian style. Yes, the room was very cozy, and the shower cabin tiny...which my nearly 2 meters tall boyfriend struggled with a little bit...but to me it didn't ruin the stay. We also had a little balcony overlooking nice courtyard. If we stayed longer we would have definitely arranged our breakfast in there. Staff was very helpful in every aspect of our stay, especially Luka. Breakfast was served in the lovely conservatory downstairs. I would personally prefer wider selection of savory food...but other that that it was lovely Italian food. I loved Turin as a town and I think hotel was in perfect area to look around as well as for going out. Main train station 7min walk. And there's loads of bars to chose from with in a short walk.

"A family run hotel in the heart of the city"
Vilma B, 18 Mai 2016

Good value, friendly welcome. Rooms not large but everything works and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. breakfast included - not a vast range but you can boil your own egg! Have stayed here several times and would definitely recommend it. Close to bars and restaurants and the little local market.

"Nice hotel "
Limbothelimo, 17 Mai 2016

The location is very convenient as it is close to the train station and at walking distance to the centre. The rooms are clean and beds are good. Breakfast is also very good with everything one would require.

"Lovely place"
Elena E, 25 Avril 2016

Stayed for 1 night. Looking for a place next to the rail way station and BW looked the best choice. Our room was on the 5th floor and it was absolutely nice - big, fantastic view, cozy and nicely equiped. The location was a bit worring but there are several really nice places for dinner near by. It also a good choice for those who would like to see Turin as the city center is within walking distance. I would recommend the hotel. The only thing which can be improved is breakfast

"Good be better"
juvemar, 23 Avril 2016

This hotel was good but needs to improve in small things in the first night they did not change bath things and english breakfast teabags and after we went to reception in night they said they no teabags available now but than they purchased in our room in the morning both things, than in the last night before an early flight we asked a simple coffee but they said not before 6.30 too late for us Positive things most of the staff helpful and good breakfast

"Not for us"
Brooke K, 23 Décembre 2015

I stayed here earlier in the year for a school trip. The hotel was located in a seedy area with lots of creepy people loitering around on the streets. The lift was tiny and as we were a big group it took us a long time to get everyone up (2 people with 3 suitcases max) - many had to take the stairs. The room was spacious but we had to fit 4 people into a room that originally had 2 double beds so they brought in this weird bunk-bed design that was incredibly uncomfortable and claustrophobic for the person at the bottom. The balcony door/shutters also didn't fully shut so the street noise (yelling, bottles smashing etc) came into the room during the night. The breakfast was really average with not much choice - I only ate bread rolls and crossants both mornings. And the bathroom door didn't lock properly - it was really noisy to open and shut.

"Great hotel in good location"
joannaw772, 12 Octobre 2015

I enjoyed the stay a lot, very kind and helpful staff working in hotel, rooms are very nice with everything that is needed inside. Very quiet clean and friendly hotel. Defenietely recommend. A lot of restaurants around, close to trams/busses that take you everywhere and less fhan 10 min walk to main shopping street.

"Best Western always means quality"
FalconeMatteo, 20 Août 2015

The hotel is near to the central station of Turin, and, as always, I had a great time here. The staff is impeccable, the room very comfortable (there is a tea set that you can prepare to yourself, a very warm welcome) and clean, and the breakfast huge. They also have a service that allows you to leave your luggages there and come after to take it, which is very useful if you want to visit the city also the day you have to leave. I highly recommend this place, which is close to the center too.

"Excellent value"
Hadorii, 16 Août 2015

Great value for the price: decent rooms (by Italian standards), free breakfast, free wifi. We booked a family room on the 4th floor and they provided a baby cot. They nicely accomodated our small dog as well. The breakfast was good and the lobby sitting area was quite nice. It's a bit off the beaten path, but close enough to the city center that you can easily walk.

"Comfortable and Convenient"
Kordonblue, 03 Août 2015

This small, family hotel is located in the San Salvario district of Turin and is very near the Porta Nuovo train station. The block nearest to Via Nizza can appear somewhat rough and seedy, but if you are staying more than one night, you will quckly learn to avoid this block and return to the hotel via a different route (try taking Via S. Pio V and then Piazetta Primo Levi, past the well-guarded synagogue). In fact, the rest of San Salvario seems to be on the way up, with many new restaurants and bars and a younger crowd looking for an alternative to Piazza Veneto and the old city. Our room was more than adequate for our needs, although the walls could use a lick of paint here and there. There was a small balcony, but no chairs or table were provided, so we could not make use of it. The breakfast room is light and airy, with a good selection of cheeses, cold meat, fruit and yoghurts etc. However, if you require a cooked breakfast every morning, you may be disappointed, as a boiled egg would be your only option. The staff were efficient and friendly and overall, we felt that this hotel was quite good value for money.

"Nice, clean"
Bo b, 01 Août 2015

the Room on the top floor was very nice, beautiful design, clean. Good wi-fi. The area is a little rough and not so clean. Easy walking distance to the station Porta Nuova. Very good value. I would have liked to stay longer

"Okay, but unimpressive"
saram92x, 26 Juillet 2015

Stayed here one night, passing through on the way to Milan. Firstly, the area looked unsafe, not somewhere that I would feel comfortable walking round on my own, but visited with my boyfriend, although neither of us felt comfortable staying out late. Room was clean, although air conditioning was non existent, which did not make for a pleasant night's sleep in 30 degree heat. Also, our room was on the 5th floor, and as such, in the eaves. Both myself and my partner are over 5'7, so the sloping ceilings were a massive pain. It also meant that we had no stand up shower in our room, something that I really expect from a 3 star hotel. All we had was a bathtub with a shower head attached to the taps. Bearable for one night, but grateful to be leaving the next day.
